13:1 그 후에 이 일이 있으니라 다윗의 아들 압살롬에게 아름다운 누이가 있으니 이름은 다말이라 다윗의 아들 암논이 저를 연애하나
13:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
13:2 저는 처녀이므로 어찌할 수 없는 줄을 알고 암논이 그 누이 다말을 인하여 심화로 병이 되니라
13:2 And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.
13:3 암논에게 요나답이라 하는 친구가 있으니 저는 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들이요 심히 간교한 자라
13:3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man.
13:4 저가 암논에게 이르되 왕자여 어찌하여 나날이 이렇게 파리하여 가느뇨 내게 고하지 아니하겠느뇨 암논이 말하되 내가 아우 압살롬의 누이 다말을 연애함이니라
13:4 And he said unto him, Why are you, being the king's son, lean from day to day? will you not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
13:5 요나답이 저에게 이르되 침상에 누워 병든 체 하다가 네 부친이 너를 보러 오거든 너는 말하기를 청컨대 내 누이 다말로 와서 내게 식물을 먹이되 나 보는 데서 식물을 차려 그 손으로 먹여 주게 하옵소서 하라
13:5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay you down on your bed, and make yourself sick: and when your father comes to see you, say unto him, I pray you, let my sister Tamar come, and give me food, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
13:6 암논이 곧 누워 병든 체하다가 왕이 와서 저를 볼 때에 왕께 고하되 청컨대 내 누이 다말로 와서 내가 보는 데서 과자 두어 개를 만들어 그 손으로 내게 먹여 주게 하옵소서
13:6 So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray you, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
13:7 ○ 다윗이 사람을 그 집으로 보내어 다말에게 이르되 네 오라비 암논의 집으로 가서 저를 위하여 음식을 차리라 한지라
13:7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to your brother Amnon's house, and dress him food.
13:8 다말이 그 오라비 암논의 집에 이르매 암논이 누었더라 다말이 밀가루를 가지고 반죽하여 그 보는 데서 과자를 만들고 그 과자를 굽고
13:8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
13:9 그 남비를 가져다가 그 앞에 쏟아 놓아도 암논이 먹기를 싫어하고 가로되 모든 사람을 나가게 하라 하니 다 저를 떠나 나가니라
13:9 And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
13:10 암논이 다말에게 이르되 식물을 가지고 침실로 들어오라 내가 네 손에서 먹으리라 다말이 자기의 만든 과자를 가지고 침실에 들어가 그 오라비 암논에게 이르러
13:10 And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat of yours hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
13:11 저에게 먹이려고 가까이 가지고 갈 때에 암논이 그를 붙잡고 이르되 누이야 와서 나와 동침하자
13:11 And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.
13:12 저가 대답하되 아니라 내 오라비여 나를 욕되게 말라 이런 일은 이스라엘에서 마땅히 행치 못할 것이니 이 괴악한 일을 행치 말라
13:12 And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not you this folly.
13:13 내가 이 수치를 무릅쓰고 어디로 가겠느냐 너도 이스라엘에서 괴악한 자 중 하나가 되리라 청컨대 왕께 말하라 저가 나를 네게 주기를 거절치 아니하시리라 하되
13:13 And I, where shall I cause my shame to go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from you.
13:14 암논이 그 말을 듣지 아니하고 다말보다 힘이 세므로 억지로 동침하니라
13:14 Nevertheless he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
13:15 ○ 그리하고 암논이 저를 심히 미워하니 이제 미워하는 미움이 이왕 연애하던 연애보다 더한지라 곧 저에게 이르되 일어나 가라
13:15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
13:16 다말이 가로되 가치 아니하다 나를 쫓아 보내는 이 큰 악은 아까 내게 행한 그 악보다 더하다 하되 암논이 듣지 아니하고
13:16 And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you did unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
13:17 그 부리는 종을 불러 이르되 이 계집을 내어보내고 곧 문빗장을 지르라 하니
13:17 Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
13:18 암논의 하인이 저를 끌어내고 곧 문빗장을 지르니라 다말이 채색옷을 입었으니 출가하지 아니한 공주는 이런 옷으로 단장하는 법이라
13:18 And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
13:19 다말이 재를 그 머리에 무릅쓰고 그 채색옷을 찢고 손을 머리 위에 얹고 크게 울며 가니라
13:19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
13:20 ○ 그 오라비 압살롬이 저에게 이르되 네 오라비 암논이 너와 함께 있었느냐 그러나 저는 네 오라비니 누이야 시방은 잠잠히 있고 이것으로 인하여 근심하지 말라 이에 다말이 그 오라비 압살롬의 집에 있어 처량하게 지내니라
13:20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, Has Amnon your brother been with you? but hold now your peace, my sister: he is your brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
13:21 다윗 왕이 이 모든 일을 듣고 심히 노하니라
13:21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very angry.
13:22 압살롬이 그 누이 다말을 암논이 욕되게 하였으므로 저를 미워하여 시비간에 말하지 아니하니라
13:22 And Absalom spoke unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
13:23 ○ 이 주년 후에 에브라임 곁 바알하솔에서 압살롬의 양 털을 깎는 일이 있으매 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 청하고
13:23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
13:24 왕께 나아와 말하되 이제 종에게 양 털 깎는 일이 있사오니 청컨대 왕은 신복들을 데리시고 이 종과 함께 가사이다
13:24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, your servant has sheepshearers; let the king, I plead to you, and his servants go with your servant.
13:25 왕이 압살롬에게 이르되 아니라 내 아들아 우리가 다 갈 것이 없다 네게 누를 끼칠까 하노라 압살롬이 간청하되 저가 가지 아니하고 위하여 복을 비는지라
13:25 And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto you. And he pressed him: nevertheless he would not go, but blessed him.
13:26 압살롬이 가로되 그렇게 아니하시려거든 청컨대 내 형 암논으로 우리와 함께 가게 하옵소서 왕이 저에게 이르되 그가 너와 함께 갈 것이 무엇이냐 하되
13:26 Then said Absalom, If not, I pray you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with you?
13:27 압살롬이 간청하매 왕이 암논과 왕의 모든 아들을 저와 함께 보내니라
13:27 But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
13:28 압살롬이 이미 그 사환들에게 분부하여 이르기를 너희는 암논의 마음이 술로 즐거워할 때를 자세히 보다가 내가 너희에게 암논을 치라 하거든 저를 죽이라 두려워 말라 내가 너희에게 명한 것이 아니냐 너희는 담대히 용맹을 내라 한지라
13:28 Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark all of you now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Strike Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.
13:29 압살롬의 사환들이 그 분부대로 암논에게 행하매 왕의 모든 아들이 일어나 각기 노새를 타고 도망하니라
13:29 And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man got him up upon his mule, and fled.
13:30 ○ 저희가 길에 있을 때에 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 죽이고 하나도 남기지 아니하였다는 소문이 다윗에게 이르매
13:30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom has slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
13:31 왕이 곧 일어나서 그 옷을 찢고 땅에 엎드러지고 그 신복들도 다 옷을 찢고 모셔 선지라
13:31 Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
13:32 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나답이 고하여 가로되 내 주여 소년 왕자들이 다 죽임을 당한 줄로 생각지 마옵소서 오직 암논만 죽었으리이다 저가 압살롬의 누이 다말을 욕되게 한 날부터 압살롬이 결심한 것이니이다
13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
13:33 그러하온즉 내 주 왕이여 왕자들이 다 죽은 줄로 생각하여 괘념하지 마옵소서 암논만 죽었으리이다
13:33 Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
13:34 ○ 이에 압살롬은 도망하니라 파수하는 소년이 눈을 들어 보니 뒷산 언덕길로 여러 사람이 오더라
13:34 But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.
13:35 요나답이 왕께 고하되 왕자들이 오나이다 종의 말 한 대로 되었나이다
13:35 And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as your servant said, so it is.
13:36 말을 마치자 왕자들이 이르러 대성통곡하니 왕과 그 모든 신복도 심히 통곡하니라
13:36 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
13:37 ○ 압살롬은 도망하여 그술 왕 암미훌의 아들 달매에게로 갔고 다윗은 날마다 그 아들을 인하여 슬퍼하니라
13:37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
13:38 압살롬이 도망하여 그술로 가서 거한 지 삼 년이라
13:38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
13:39 다윗 왕의 마음이 압살롬에게 향하여 간절하니 암논은 이미 죽었으므로 왕이 위로를 받았음이더라
13:39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
14:1 스루야의 아들 요압이 왕의 마음이 압살롬에게로 향하는 줄 알고
14:1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.
14:2 드고아에 보내어 거기서 슬기 있는 여인 하나를 데려다가 이르되 청컨대 너는 상주 된 것처럼 상복을 입고 기름을 바르지 말고 죽은 사람을 위하여 오래 슬퍼하는 여인 같이 하고
14:2 And Joab sent to Tekoah, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray you, feign yourself to be a mourner, and put on now mourning apparel, and anoint not yourself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead:
14:3 왕께 들어가서 여차여차히 말하라고 할 말을 그 입에 넣어 주니라
14:3 And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
14:4 ○ 드고아 여인이 왕께 고할 때에 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 가로되 왕이여 도우소서
14:4 And when the woman of Tekoah spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, and did reverence, and said, Help, O king.
14:5 왕이 저에게 이르되 무슨 일이냐 대답하되 나는 참 과부니이다 남편은 죽고
14:5 And the king said unto her, What disturbs you? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and mine husband is dead.
14:6 아들 둘이 있더니 저희가 들에서 싸우나 말려 줄 사람이 아무도 없으므로 저가 이를 쳐죽인지라
14:6 And your handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one stroke the other, and slew him.
14:7 온 족속이 일어나서 왕의 계집종 나를 핍박하여 말하기를 그 동생을 죽인 자를 내어놓으라 우리가 그 동생 죽인 죄를 갚아 저를 죽여 사자 될 것까지 끊겠노라 하오니 그러한즉 저희가 내게 남아 있는 숯불을 꺼서 내 남편의 이름과 씨를 세상에 끼쳐두지 아니하겠나이다
14:7 And, behold, the whole family has risen against yours handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that stroke his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
14:8 왕이 여인에게 이르되 네 집으로 가라 내가 너를 위하여 명령을 내리리라
14:8 And the king said unto the woman, Go to yours house, and I will give charge concerning you.
14:9 드고아 여인이 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕이여 그 죄는 나와 내 아비의 집으로 돌릴 것이니 왕과 왕위는 허물이 없으리이다
14:9 And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father's house: and the king and his throne be guiltless.
14:10 왕이 가로되 누구든지 네게 말하는 자를 내게로 데려오라 저가 다시는 너를 건드리지도 못하리라
14:10 And the king said, Whoever says ought unto you, bring him to me, and he shall not touch you any more.
14:11 여인이 가로되 청컨대 왕은 왕의 하나님 여호와를 생각하사 원수 갚는 자로 더 죽이지 못하게 하옵소서 내 아들을 죽일까 두려워 하나이다 왕이 가로되 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 네 아들의 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
14:11 Then said she, I pray you, let the king remember the LORD your God, that you would not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of your son fall to the earth.
14:12 ○ 여인이 가로되 청컨대 계집종을 용납하여 한 말씀으로 내 주 왕께 여쭙게 하옵소서 가로되 말하라
14:12 Then the woman said, Let yours handmaid, I pray you, speak one word unto my lord the king. And he said, Say on.
14:13 여인이 가로되 그러면 어찌하여 왕께서 하나님의 백성에게 대하여 이같은 도모를 하셨나이까 이 말씀을 하셨으니 왕께서 죄 있는 사람 같이 되심은 그 내어쫓긴 자를 집으로 돌아오게 아니하심이니이다
14:13 And the woman said, Wherefore then have you thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king does speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king does not fetch home again his banished.
14:14 우리는 필경 죽으리니 땅에 쏟아진 물을 다시 모으지 못함 같을 것이오나 하나님은 생명을 빼앗지 아니하시고 방책을 베푸사 내어쫓긴 자로 하나님께 버린 자가 되지 않게 하시나이다
14:14 For we must essentially die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet does he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
14:15 이제 내가 와서 내 주 왕께 이 말씀을 여쭙는 것은 백성들이 나를 두렵게 하므로 계집종이 스스로 말하기를 내가 왕께 여쭈면 혹시 종의 청하는 것을 시행하실 것이라
14:15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and your handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.
14:16 왕께서 들으시고 나와 내 아들을 함께 하나님의 산업에서 끊을 자의 손에서 종을 구원하시리라 함이니이다
14:16 For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
14:17 계집종이 또 스스로 말하기를 내 주 왕의 말씀이 나의 위로가 되기를 원한다 하였사오니 이는 내 주 왕께서 하나님의 사자 같이 선과 악을 분간하심이니이다 원컨대 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕과 같이 계시옵소서
14:17 Then yours handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD your God will be with you.
14:18 ○ 왕이 그 여인에게 대답하여 이르되 내가 네게 묻는 것을 숨기지 말라 여인이 가로되 내 주 왕은 말씀하옵소서
14:18 Then the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray you, the thing that I shall ask you. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.
14:19 왕이 가로되 이 모든 일에 요압이 너와 함께 하였느냐 여인이 대답하여 가로되 내 주 왕의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하옵나니 무릇 내 주 왕의 말씀을 좌로나 우로나 옮길 자가 없으리이다 왕의 종 요압이 내게 명하였고 저가 이 모든 말을 왕의 계집종의 입에 넣어 주었사오니
14:19 And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with you in all this? And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king has spoken: for your servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of yours handmaid:
14:20 이는 왕의 종 요압이 이 일의 형편을 변하려 하여 이렇게 함이니이다 내 주 왕의 지혜는 하나님의 사자의 지혜와 같아서 땅에 있는 일을 다 아시나이다 하니라
14:20 To fetch about this form of speech has your servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
14:21 ○ 왕이 요압에게 이르되 내가 이 일을 허락하였으니 가서 소년 압살롬을 데려오라
14:21 And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
14:22 요압이 땅에 엎드려 절하고 왕을 위하여 복을 빌고 가로되 내 주 왕이여 종의 구함을 허락하시니 종이 왕 앞에서 은혜 받은 줄을 오늘날 아나이다 하고
14:22 And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Joab said, To day your servant knows that I have found grace in your sight, my lord, O king, in that the king has fulfilled the request of his servant.
14:23 일어나 그술로 가서 압살롬을 데리고 예루살렘으로 오니
14:23 So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
14:24 왕이 가로되 저를 그 집으로 물러가게 하고 내 얼굴을 보지 말게 하라 하매 압살롬이 자기 집으로 가고 왕의 얼굴을 보지 못하니라
14:24 And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the king's face.
14:25 ○ 온 이스라엘 가운데 압살롬 같이 아름다움으로 크게 칭찬 받는 자가 없었으니 저는 발바닥부터 정수리까지 흠이 없음이라
14:25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
14:26 그 머리털이 무거우므로 연말마다 깎았으며 그 머리털을 깎을 때에 달아 본즉 왕의 저울로 이백 세겔이었더라
14:26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight.
14:27 압살롬이 아들 셋과 딸 하나를 낳았는데 딸의 이름은 다말이라 얼굴이 아름다운 여자더라
14:27 And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.
14:28 ○ 압살롬이 이태 동안을 예루살렘에 있으되 왕의 얼굴을 보지 못하였으므로
14:28 So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.
14:29 요압을 왕께 보내려 하여 사람을 보내어 부르되 오지 아니하고 또 다시 보내되 오지 아니하는지라
14:29 Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.
14:30 압살롬이 그 종에게 이르되 보라 요압의 밭이 내 밭 근처에 있고 거기 보리가 있으니 가서 불을 놓으라 압살롬의 종들이 그 밭에 불을 놓았더니
14:30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
14:31 요압이 일어나 압살롬의 집으로 와서 압살롬에게 이르되 어찌하여 네 종들이 내 밭에 불을 놓았느냐
14:31 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him, Wherefore have your servants set my field on fire?
14:32 압살롬이 요압에게 대답하되 내가 일찍 사람을 네게 보내어 너를 이리로 청한 것은 내가 너를 왕께 보내어 고하게 하기를 어찌하여 내가 그술에서 돌아오게 되었나이까 이때까지 거기 있는 것이 내게 나았으리이다 하려 함이로다 이제는 네가 나로 왕의 얼굴을 보게 하라 내가 만일 죄가 있으면 왕이 나를 죽이시는 것이 가하니라
14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
14:33 요압이 왕께 나아가서 그 말을 고하매 왕이 압살롬을 부르니 저가 왕께 나아가 그 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하매 왕이 압살롬과 입을 맞추니라
14:33 So Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.
15:1 이 후에 압살롬이 자기를 위하여 병거와 말들을 준비하고 전배 오십 명을 세우니라
15:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
15:2 압살롬이 일찌기 일어나 성문 길 곁에 서서 어떤 사람이든지 송사가 있어 왕에게 재판을 청하러 올 때에 그 사람을 불러서 이르되 너는 어느 성 사람이냐 그 사람의 대답이 종은 이스라엘 아무 지파에 속하였나이다 하면
15:2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city are you? And he said, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
15:3 압살롬이 저에게 이르기를 네 일이 옳고 바르다마는 네 송사 들을 사람을 왕께서 세우지 아니하셨다 하고
15:3 And Absalom said unto him, See, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear you.
15:4 또 이르기를 내가 이 땅에서 재판관이 되고 누구든지 송사나 재판할 일이 있어 내게로 오는 자에게 내가 공의 베풀기를 원하노라 하고
15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which has any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
15:5 사람이 가까이 와서 절하려 하면 압살롬이 손을 펴서 그 사람을 붙들고 입을 맞추니
15:5 And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him reverence, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
15:6 무릇 이스라엘 무리 중에 왕께 재판을 청하러 오는 자들에게 압살롬의 행함이 이 같아서 이스라엘 사람의 마음을 도적하니라
15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
15:7 ○ 사 년 만에 압살롬이 왕께 고하되 내가 여호와께 서원한 것이 있사오니 청컨대 나로 헤브론에 가서 그 서원을 이루게 하소서
15:7 And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray you, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
15:8 종이 아람 그술에 있을 때에 서원하기를 만일 여호와께서 나를 예루살렘으로 돌아가게 하시면 내가 여호와를 섬기리이다 하였나이다
15:8 For your servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
15:9 왕이 저에게 이르되 평안히 가라 하니 저가 일어나 헤브론으로 가니라
15:9 And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
15:10 이에 압살롬이 정탐을 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데 두루 보내어 이르기를 너희는 나팔 소리를 듣거든 곧 부르기를 압살롬이 헤브론에서 왕이 되었다 하라 하니라
15:10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as all of you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all of you shall say, Absalom reigns in Hebron.
15:11 그 때에 압살롬에게 청함을 받은 이백 명이 그 사기를 알지 못하고 아무 뜻 없이 예루살렘에서 저와 함께 갔으며
15:11 And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.
15:12 제사 드릴 때에 압살롬이 사람을 보내어 다윗의 모사 길로 사람 아히도벨을 그 성읍 길로에서 청하여 온지라 반역하는 일이 커가매 압살롬에게로 돌아오는 백성이 많아지니라
15:12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
15:13 ○ 사자가 다윗에게 와서 고하되 이스라엘의 인심이 다 압살롬에게로 돌아갔나이다 한지라
15:13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
15:14 다윗이 예루살렘에 함께 있는 모든 신복에게 이르되 일어나 도망하자 그렇지 아니하면 우리 한 사람도 압살롬에게서 피하지 못하리라 빨리 가자 두렵건대 저가 우리를 급히 따라와서 해하고 칼로 성을 칠까 하노라
15:14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.
15:15 왕의 신복들이 왕께 고하되 우리 주 왕의 하고자 하시는 대로 우리가 행하리이다 하더라
15:15 And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, your servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
15:16 왕이 나갈 때에 권속을 다 따르게 하고 후궁 열 명을 남겨 두어 궁을 지키게 하니라
15:16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
15:17 왕이 나가매 모든 백성이 다 따라서 벧메르학에 이르러 머무늬
15:17 And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
15:18 모든 신복이 그 곁으로 지나가고 모든 그렛 사람과 모든 블렛 사람과 및 왕을 따라 가드에서 온 육백 인이 왕의 앞으로 진행하니라
15:18 And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
15:19 ○ 그 때에 왕이 가드 사람 잇대에게 이르되 어찌하여 너도 우리와 함께 가느냐 너는 쫓겨난 나그네니 돌아가서 왕과 함께 네 곳에 있으라
15:19 Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore go you also with us? return to your place, and abide with the king: for you are a stranger, and also an exile.
15:20 너는 어제 왔고 나는 정처 없이 가니 오늘날 어찌 너로 우리와 함께 유리하게 하리요 너도 돌아가고 네 동포들도 데려가라 은혜와 진리가 너와 함께 있기를 원하노라
15:20 Whereas you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go up and down with us? seeing I go where I may, return you, and take back your brethren: mercy and truth be with you.
15:21 잇대가 왕께 대답하여 가로되 여호와의 사심과 우리 주 왕의 사심으로 맹세하옵나니 진실로 내 주 왕께서 어느 곳에 계시든지 무론 사생하고 종도 그 곳에 있겠나이다
15:21 And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will your servant be.
15:22 다윗이 잇대에게 이르되 앞서 건너가라 하매 가드 사람 잇대와 그 종자들과 그와 함께 한 아이들이 다 건너가고
15:22 And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
15:23 온 땅 사람이 대성통곡하며 모든 인민이 앞서 건너가매 왕도 기드론 시내를 건너가니 건너간 모든 백성이 광야 길로 향하니라
15:23 And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
15:24 사독과 그와 함께 한 모든 레위 사람이 하나님의 언약궤를 메어다가 내려놓고 아비아달도 올라와서 모든 백성이 성에서 나오기를 기다리더니
15:24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
15:25 왕이 사독에게 이르되 하나님의 궤를 성으로 도로 메어 가라 만일 내가 여호와 앞에서 은혜를 얻으면 도로 나를 인도하사 내게 그 궤와 그 계신 데를 보이시리라
15:25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:
15:26 그러나 저가 말씀하시기를 내가 너를 기뻐하지 아니한다 하시면 종이 여기 있사오니 선히 여기시는 대로 내게 행하시옵소서 하리라
15:26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in you; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seems good unto him.
15:27 왕이 또 제사장 사독에게 이르되 네가 선견자가 아니냐 너는 너희의 두 아들 곧 네 아들 아히마아스와 아비아달의 아들 요나단을 데리고 평안히 성으로 돌아가라
15:27 The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Are not you a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
15:28 너희에게서 내게 고하는 기별이 올 때까지 내가 광야 나룻터에서 기다리리라
15:28 See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
15:29 사독과 아비아달이 하나님의 궤를 예루살렘으로 도로 메어다 놓고 거기 유하니라
15:29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
15:30 ○ 다윗이 감람 산 길로 올라갈 때에 머리를 가리우고 맨발로 울며 행하고 저와 함께 가는 백성들도 각각 그 머리를 가리우고 울며 올라가니라
15:30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
15:31 혹이 다윗에게 고하되 압살롬과 함께 모반한 자들 가운데 아히도벨이 있나이다 하니 다윗이 가로되 여호와여 원컨대 아히도벨의 모략을 어리석게 하옵소서 하니라
15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray you, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
15:32 다윗이 하나님을 경배하는 마루턱에 이를 때에 아렉 사람 후새가 옷을 찢고 흙을 머리에 무릅쓰고 다윗을 맞으러 온지라
15:32 And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
15:33 다윗이 저에게 이르되 네가 만일 나와 함께 나아가면 내게 누를 끼치리라
15:33 Unto whom David said, If you pass on with me, then you shall be a burden unto me:
15:34 그러나 네가 만일 성으로 돌아가서 압살롬에게 말하기를 왕이여 내가 왕의 종이니이다 이왕에는 왕의 부친의 종이었더니 내가 이제는 왕의 종이니이다 하면 네가 나를 위하여 아히도벨의 모략을 패하게 하리라
15:34 But if you return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father's servant until now, so will I now also be your servant: then may you for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
15:35 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장이 너와 함께 거기 있지 아니하냐 네가 궁중에서 무엇을 듣든지 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 고하라
15:35 And have you not there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that whatsoever you shall hear out of the king's house, you shall tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
15:36 저희의 두 아들 곧 사독의 아히마아스와 아비아달의 요나단이 저희와 함께 거기 있나니 무릇 너희 듣는 것을 저희 편으로 내게 기별할지니라
15:36 Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them all of you shall send unto me every thing that all of you can hear.
15:37 다윗의 친구 후새가 곧 성으로 들어가고 압살롬도 예루살렘으로 들어갔더라
15:37 So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
16:1 다윗이 마루턱을 조금 지나니 므비보셋의 사환 시바가 안장 지운 두 나귀에 떡 이백과 건포도 일백 송이와 여름 실과 일백과 포도주 한 가죽 부대를 싣고 다윗을 맞는지라
16:1 And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
16:2 왕이 시바에게 이르되 네가 무슨 뜻으로 이것을 가져왔느뇨 시바가 가로되 나귀는 왕의 권속들로 타게 하고 떡과 실과는 소년들로 먹게 하고 포도주는 들에서 곤비한 자들로 마시게 하려 함이니이다
16:2 And the king said unto Ziba, What mean you by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
16:3 왕이 가로되 네 주인의 아들이 어디 있느뇨 시바가 왕께 고하되 예루살렘에 있는데 저가 말하기를 이스라엘 족속이 오늘 내 아비의 나라를 내게 돌리리라 하나이다
16:3 And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abides at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
16:4 왕이 시바더러 이르되 므비보셋에게 있는 것이 다 네 것이니라 시바가 가로되 내가 절하나이다 내 주 왕이여 나로 왕의 앞에서 은혜를 입게 하옵소서 하니라
16:4 Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, yours are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly plead to you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.
16:5 ○ 다윗 왕이 바후림에 이르매 거기서 사울의 집 족속 하나가 나오니 게라의 아들이요 이름은 시므이라 저가 나오면서 연하여 저주하고
16:5 And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
16:6 또 다윗과 다윗 왕의 모든 신복을 향하여 돌을 던지니 그 때에 모든 백성과 용사들은 다 왕의 좌우에 있었더라
16:6 And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
16:7 시므이가 저주하는 가운데 이와 같이 말하니라 피를 흘린 자여 비루한 자여 가거라 가거라
16:7 And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial:
16:8 사울의 족속의 모든 피를 여호와께서 네게로 돌리셨도다 그 대신에 네가 왕이 되었으나 여호와께서 나라를 네 아들 압살롬의 손에 붙이셨도다 보라 너는 피를 흘린 자인 고로 화를 자취하였느니라
16:8 The LORD has returned upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose position you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: and, behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man.
16:9 ○ 스루야의 아들 아비새가 왕께 여짜오되 이 죽은 개가 어찌 내 주 왕을 저주하리이까 청컨대 나로 건너가서 저의 머리를 베게 하소서
16:9 Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray you, and take off his head.
16:10 왕이 가로되 스루야의 아들들아 내가 너희와 무슨 상관이 있느냐 저가 저주하는 것은 여호와께서 저에게 다윗을 저주하라 하심이니 네가 어찌 그리하였느냐 할 자가 누구겠느냐 하고
16:10 And the king said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD has said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore have you done so?
16:11 또 아비새와 모든 신복에게 이르되 내 몸에서 난 아들도 내 생명을 해하려 하거든 하물며 이 베냐민 사람이랴 여호와께서 저에게 명하신 것이니 저로 저주하게 버려두라
16:11 And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came out of my bowels, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has bidden him.
16:12 혹시 여호와께서 나의 원통함을 감찰하시리니 오늘날 그 저주 까닭에 선으로 내게 갚아 주시리라 하고
16:12 It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.
16:13 다윗과 그 종자들이 길을 갈 때에 시므이는 산비탈로 따라가면서 저주하고 저를 향하여 돌을 던지며 티끌을 날리더라
16:13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side opposite to him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
16:14 왕과 그 함께 있는 백성들이 다 곤비하여 한 곳에 이르러 거기서 쉬니라
16:14 And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
16:15 ○ 압살롬과 모든 이스라엘 백성들이 예루살렘에 이르고 아히도벨도 저와 함께 이른지라
16:15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
16:16 다윗의 친구 아렉 사람 후새가 압살롬에게 나아올 때에 저에게 말하기를 왕이여 만세, 왕이여 만세 하니
16:16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
16:17 압살롬이 후새에게 이르되 이것이 네가 친구를 후대하는 것이냐 네가 어찌하여 네 친구와 함께 가지 아니하였느냐
16:17 And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this your kindness to your friend? why went you not with your friend?
16:18 후새가 압살롬에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하니이다 내가 여호와와 이 백성 모든 이스라엘의 택한 자에게 속하여 그와 함께 거할 것이니이다
16:18 And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
16:19 또 내가 이제 누구를 섬기리이까 그 아들이 아니니이까 내가 전에 왕의 아버지를 섬긴 것 같이 왕을 섬기리이다 하니라
16:19 And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence.
16:20 ○ 압살롬이 아히도벨에게 이르되 너는 어떻게 행할 모략을 우리에게 가르치라
16:20 Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.
16:21 아히도벨이 압살롬에게 이르되 왕의 아버지가 머물러 두어 궁을 지키게 한 후궁들로 더불어 동침하소서 그리하면 왕께서 왕의 부친의 미워하는 바 됨을 온 이스라엘이 들으리니 왕과 함께 있는 모든 사람의 힘이 더욱 강하여지리이다
16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto your father's concubines, which he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred of your father: then shall the hands of all that are with you be strong.
16:22 이에 사람들이 압살롬을 위하여 지붕에 장막을 치니 압살롬이 온 이스라엘 무리의 눈 앞에서 그 부친의 후궁들로 더불어 동침하니라
16:22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
16:23 그 때에 아히도벨의 베푸는 모략은 하나님께 물어 받은 말씀과 일반이라 저의 모든 모략은 다윗에게나 압살롬에게나 이와 같더라
16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
17:1 아히도벨이 또 압살롬에게 이르되 이제 나로 하여금 사람 일만 이천을 택하게 하소서 오늘 밤에 내가 일어나서 다윗의 뒤를 따라
17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:
17:2 저가 곤하고 약할 때에 엄습하여 저를 무섭게 한즉 저와 함께 있는 모든 백성이 도망하리니 내가 다윗 왕만 쳐죽이고
17:2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will strike the king only:
17:3 모든 백성으로 왕께 돌아오게 하리니 무리의 돌아오기는 왕의 찾는 이 사람에게 달렸음이라 그리하면 모든 백성이 평안하리이다
17:3 And I will bring back all the people unto you: the man whom you seek is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.
17:4 압살롬과 이스라엘 장로들이 다 그 말을 옳게 여기더라
17:4 And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
17:5 ○ 압살롬이 이르되 아렉 사람 후새도 부르라 우리가 저의 말도 듣자 하니라
17:5 Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he says.
17:6 후새가 압살롬에게 이르매 압살롬이 저에게 말하여 가로되 아히도벨이 여차여차히 말하니 우리가 그 말대로 행하랴 그렇지 않거든 너는 말하라
17:6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spoke unto him, saying, Ahithophel has spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak you.
17:7 후새가 압살롬에게 이르되 이때에는 아히도벨의 베푼 모략이 선치 아니하니이다 하고
17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel has given is not good at this time.
17:8 또 말하되 왕도 아시거니와 왕의 부친과 그 종자들은 용사라 저희는 들에 있는 곰이 새끼를 빼앗긴 것 같이 격분하였고 왕의 부친은 병법에 익은 사람인즉 백성과 함께 자지 아니하고
17:8 For, said Hushai, you know your father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and your father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
17:9 이제 어느 굴에나 어느 곳에 숨어 있으리니 혹 무리 중에 몇이 먼저 엎드러지면 그 소문을 듣는 자가 말하기를 압살롬을 좇는 자 가운데서 패함을 당하였다 할지라
17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever hears it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
17:10 비록 용감하여 사자 같은 자의 마음이라도 저상하리니 이는 이스라엘 무리가 왕의 부친은 영웅이요 그 종자들도 용사인 줄 앎이니이다
17:10 And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
17:11 나의 모략은 이러하니이다 온 이스라엘을 단부터 브엘세바까지 바닷가의 많은 모래 같이 왕께로 모으고 친히 전장에 나가시고
17:11 Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that you go to battle in yours own person.
17:12 우리가 그 만날 만한 곳에서 저를 엄습하기를 이슬이 땅에 내림 같이 저의 위에 덮여 저와 그 함께 있는 모든 사람을 하나도 남겨 두지 아니할 것이요
17:12 So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falls on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
17:13 또 만일 저가 어느 성에 들었으면 온 이스라엘이 줄을 가져다가 그 성을 강으로 끌어들여서 그 곳에 한 작은 돌도 보이지 않게 할 것이니이다 하매
17:13 Moreover, if he be got into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
17:14 압살롬과 온 이스라엘 사람들이 이르되 아렉 사람 후새의 모략은 아히도벨의 모략보다 낫다 하니 이는 여호와께서 압살롬에게 화를 내리려 하사 아히도벨의 좋은 모략을 파하기로 작정하셨음이더라
17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
17:15 ○ 이에 후새가 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 이르되 아히도벨이 압살롬과 이스라엘 장로들에게 여차여차히 모략을 베풀었고 나도 여차여차히 모략을 베풀었으니
17:15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.
17:16 이제 너희는 빨리 사람을 보내어 다윗에게 고하기를 오늘 밤에 광야 나룻터에서 자지 마시고 아무쪼록 건너가소서 하라 혹시 왕과 그 좇는 자들이 몰사할까 하노라 하니라
17:16 Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
17:17 그 때에 요나단과 아히마아스가 사람이 볼까 두려워하여 감히 성에 들어가지 못하고 에느로겔 가에 머물고 어떤 계집종은 저희에게 나와서 고하고 저희는 가서 다윗에게 고하더니
17:17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a maid servant went and told them; and they went and told king David.
17:18 한 소년이 저희를 보고 압살롬에게 고한지라 그 두 사람이 빨리 달려서 바후림 어떤 사람의 집으로 들어가서 그 뜰에 있는 우물 속으로 내려가니
17:18 Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; where they went down.
17:19 그 집 여인이 덮을 것을 가져다가 우물 아구를 덮고 찧은 곡식을 그 위에 널매 도무지 알지 못할러라
17:19 And the woman took and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.
17:20 압살롬의 종들이 그 집에 와서 여인에게 묻되 아히마하스와 요나단이 어디 있느냐 여인이 가로되 그들이 시내를 건너가더라 하니 저희가 찾아도 만나지 못하고 예루살렘으로 돌아가니라
17:20 And when Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.
17:21 ○ 저희가 간 후에 두 사람이 우물에서 올라와서 다윗 왕에게 이르러 고하여 가로되 당신들은 일어나 빨리 물을 건너가소서 아히도벨이 당신들을 해하려고 여차여차히 모략을 베풀었나이다
17:21 And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you.
17:22 다윗이 일어나 모든 백성과 함께 요단을 건널새 새벽에 미쳐서 한 사람도 요단을 건너지 못한 자가 없었더라
17:22 Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.
17:23 아히도벨이 자기 모략이 시행되지 못함을 보고 나귀에 안장을 지우고 떠나 고향으로 돌아가서 자기 집에 이르러 집을 정리하고 스스로 목매어 죽으매 그 아비 묘에 장사되니라
17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and got him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.
17:24 ○ 이에 다윗은 마하나임에 이르고 압살롬은 모든 이스라엘 사람과 함께 요단을 건너니라
17:24 Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.
17:25 압살롬이 아마사로 요압을 대신하여 군장을 삼으니라 아마사는 이스라엘 사람 이드라라 하는 자의 아들이라 이드라가 나하스의 딸 아비갈과 동침하여 저를 낳았으며 아비갈은 요압의 어미 스루야의 동생이더라
17:25 And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother.
17:26 이에 이스라엘 무리와 압살롬이 길르앗 땅에 진 치니라
17:26 So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
17:27 ○ 다윗이 마하나임에 이르렀을 때에 암몬 족속에게 속한 랍바 사람 나하스의 아들 소비와 로데발 사람 암미엘의 아들 마길과 로글림 길르앗 사람 바르실래가
17:27 And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,
17:28 침상과 대야와 질그릇과 밀과 보리와 밀가루와 볶은 곡식과 콩과 팥과 볶은 녹두와
17:28 Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentils, and parched vegetables,
17:29 꿀과 뻐더와 양과 치스를 가져다가 다윗과 그 함께 한 백성으로 먹게 하였으니 이는 저희 생각에 백성이 들에서 시장하고 곤하고 목마르겠다 함이더라
17:29 And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of cattle, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
18:1 이에 다윗이 그 함께 한 백성을 계수하고 천부장과 백부장을 그 위에 세우고
18:1 And David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds over them.
18:2 그 백성을 내어보낼새 삼분지 일은 요압의 수하에, 삼분지 일은 스루야의 아들 요압의 동생 아비새의 수하에 붙이고 삼분지 일은 가드 사람 잇대의 수하에 붙이고 백성에게 이르되 나도 반드시 너희와 함께 나가리라
18:2 And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.
18:3 백성들이 가로되 왕은 나가지 마소서 우리가 도망할지라도 저희는 우리에게 주의하지 아니할 터이요 우리가 절반이나 죽을지라도 우리에게 주의하지 아니할 터이라 왕은 우리 만 명보다 중하시오니 왕은 성에 계시다가 우리를 도우심이 좋으니이다
18:3 But the people answered, You shall not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now you are worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that you help us out of the city.
18:4 왕이 저희에게 이르되 너희가 선히 여기는 대로 내가 행하리라 하고 문 곁에 서매 모든 백성이 백 명씩 천 명씩 대를 지어 나가는지라
18:4 And the king said unto them, What seems you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate side, and all the people came out by hundreds and by thousands.
18:5 왕이 요압과 아비새와 잇대에게 명하여 가로되 나를 위하여 소년 압살롬을 너그러이 대접하라 하니 왕이 압살롬을 위하여 모든 군장에게 명령할 때에 백성들이 다 들으니라
18:5 And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.
18:6 이에 백성이 이스라엘을 치러 들로 나가서 에브라임 수풀에서 싸우더니
18:6 So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim;
18:7 거기서 이스라엘 무리가 다윗의 신복들에게 패하매 그 날 그 곳에서 살륙이 커서 이만에 이르렀고
18:7 Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.
18:8 그 땅에서 사면으로 퍼져 싸웠으므로 그 날에 수풀에서 죽은 자가 칼에 죽은 자보다 많았더라
18:8 For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.
18:9 ○ 압살롬이 다윗의 신복과 마주치니라 압살롬이 노새를 탔는데 그 노새가 큰 상수리나무 번성한 가지 아래로 지날 때에 압살롬의 머리털이 그 상수리나무에 걸리매 저가 공중에 달리고 그 탔던 노새는 그 아래로 빠져나간지라
18:9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
18:10 한 사람이 보고 요압에게 고하여 가로되 내가 보니 압살롬이 상수리나무에 달렸더이다
18:10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in an oak.
18:11 요압이 그 고한 사람에게 이르되 네가 보고 어찌하여 당장에 쳐서 땅에 떨어뜨리지 아니하였느뇨 내가 네게 은 열 개와 띠 하나를 주었으리라
18:11 And Joab said unto the man that told him, And, behold, you saw him, and why did you not strike him there to the ground? and I would have given you ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.
18:12 그 사람이 요압에게 대답하되 내가 내 손에 은 천 개를 받는다 할지라도 나는 왕의 아들에게 손을 대지 아니하겠나이다 우리가 들었거니와 왕이 당신과 아비새와 잇대에게 명하여 이르시기를 삼가 누구든지 소년 압살롬을 해하지 말라 하셨나이다
18:12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine hand, yet would I not put forth mine hand against the king's son: for in our hearing the king charged you and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom.
18:13 아무 일도 왕 앞에는 숨길 수 없나니 내가 만일 거역하여 그 생명을 해하였더면 당신도 나를 대적하였으리이다
18:13 Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.
18:14 요압이 가로되 나는 너와 같이 지체할 수 없다 하고 손에 작은 창 셋을 가지고 가서 상수리나무 가운데서 아직 살아 있는 압살롬의 심장을 찌르니
18:14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with you. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.
18:15 요압의 병기를 맡은 소년 열이 압살롬을 에워싸고 쳐죽이니라
18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab's armour compassed about and stroke Absalom, and slew him.
18:16 ○ 요압이 나팔을 불어 백성들로 그치게 하니 저희가 이스라엘을 따르지 아니하고 돌아오니라
18:16 And Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from pursuing after Israel: for Joab held back the people.
18:17 무리가 압살롬을 옮겨다가 수풀 가운데 큰 구멍에 던지고 그 위에 심히 큰 돌무더기를 쌓으니라 온 이스라엘 무리가 각기 장막으로 도망하니라
18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.
18:18 압살롬이 살았을 때에 자기를 위하여 한 비석을 가져 세웠으니 이는 저가 자기 이름을 전할 아들이 없음을 한탄함이라 그러므로 자기 이름으로 그 비석을 이름하였으며 그 비석이 왕의 골짜기에 있고 이제까지 압살롬의 기념비라 일컫더라
18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.
18:19 ○ 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 가로되 청컨대 나로 빨리 왕에게 가서 여호와께서 왕의 원수 갚아 주신 소식을 전하게 하소서
18:19 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD has avenged him of his enemies.
18:20 요압이 저에게 이르되 너는 오늘 소식을 전하는 자가 되지 말고 다른 날에 전할 것이니라 왕의 아들이 죽었나니 네가 오늘날 소식을 전하지 못하리라 하고
18:20 And Joab said unto him, You shall not bear tidings this day, but you shall bear tidings another day: but this day you shall bear no tidings, because the king's son is dead.
18:21 구스 사람에게 이르되 네가 가서 본 것을 왕께 고하라 하매 구스 사람이 요압에게 절하고 달음질하여 가니
18:21 Then said Joab to Cushi, Go tell the king what you have seen. And Cushi bowed himself unto Joab, and ran.
18:22 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 다시 요압에게 이르되 청컨대 아무쪼록 나로 또한 구스 사람의 뒤를 따라 달음질하게 하소서 요압이 가로되 내 아들아 왜 달음질하려 하느냐 이 소식으로 인하여는 상을 받지 못하리라 하되
18:22 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But howsoever, let me, I pray you, also run after Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore will you run, my son, seeing that you have no tidings ready?
18:23 저가 아무쪼록 달음질하겠노라 하는지라 요압이 가로되 그리하라 하니 아히마아스가 들길로 달음질하여 구스 사람보다 앞서니라
18:23 But howsoever, said he, let me run. And he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz ran by the way of the plain, and outran Cushi.
18:24 ○ 때에 다윗이 두 문 사이에 앉았더라 파숫군이 성 문 루에 올라가서 눈을 들어 보니 어떤 사람이 홀로 달음질하는지라
18:24 And David sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold a man running alone.
18:25 파숫군이 외쳐 왕께 고하매 왕이 가로되 저가 만일 혼자면 그 입에 소식이 있으리라 할 때에 저가 차차 가까이 오니라
18:25 And the watchman cried, and told the king. And the king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he came swiftly, and drew near.
18:26 파숫군이 본즉 한 사람이 또 달음질하는지라 문지기에게 외쳐 이르되 보라 한 사람이 또 혼자 달음질한다 하니 왕이 가로되 저도 소식을 가져오느니라
18:26 And the watchman saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the gate keeper, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also brings tidings.
18:27 파숫군이 가로되 나 보기에는 앞선 사람의 달음질이 사독의 아들 아히마아스의 달음질과 같으니이다 왕이 가로되 저는 좋은 사람이니 좋은 소식을 가져오느니라
18:27 And the watchman said, It seems to me that the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and comes with good tidings.
18:28 아히마아스가 외쳐 왕께 말씀하되 평강하옵소서 하고 왕의 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하여 가로되 왕의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하리로소이다 그 손을 들어 내 주 왕을 대적하는 자들을 붙여 주셨나이다
18:28 And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD your God, which has delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.
18:29 왕이 가로되 소년 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 아히마아스가 대답하되 요압이 왕의 종 나를 보낼 때에 크게 소동하는 것을 보았사오나 무슨 일인지 알지 못하였나이다
18:29 And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.
18:30 왕이 가로되 물러나 곁에 서 있으라 하매 물러나서 섰더라
18:30 And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.
18:31 ○ 구스 사람이 이르러 고하되 내 주 왕께 보할 소식이 있나이다 여호와께서 오늘날 왕을 대적하던 모든 원수를 갚으셨나이다
18:31 And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD has avenged you this day of all them that rose up against you.
18:32 왕이 구스 사람에게 묻되 소년 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 구스 사람이 대답하되 내 주 왕의 원수와 일어나서 왕을 대적하는 자들은 다 그 소년과 같이 되기를 원하나이다
18:32 And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against you to do you hurt, be as that young man is.
18:33 왕의 마음이 심히 아파 문 루로 올라가서 우니라 저가 올라갈 때에 말하기를 내 아들 압살롬아 내 아들 내 아들 압살롬아 내가 너를 대신하여 죽었더면, 압살롬 내 아들아 내 아들아 하였더라
18:33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for you, O Absalom, my son, my son!
19:1 혹이 요압에게 고하되 왕이 압살롬을 위하여 울며 슬퍼하시나이다 하니
19:1 And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.
19:2 왕이 그 아들을 위하여 슬퍼한다 함이 그 날에 백성들에게 들리매 그 날의 이김이 모든 백성에게 슬픔이 된지라
19:2 And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.
19:3 그 날에 백성들이 싸움에 쫓겨 부끄러워 도망함 같이 가만히 성으로 들어가니라
19:3 And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
19:4 왕이 얼굴을 가리우고 큰 소리로 부르되 내 아들 압살롬아 압살롬아 내 아들아 내 아들아 하니
19:4 But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!
19:5 요압이 집에 들어가서 왕께 말씀하되 왕께서 오늘 왕의 생명과 왕의 자녀의 생명과 처첩들의 생명을 구원한 모든 신복의 얼굴을 부끄럽게 하시니
19:5 And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, You have shamed this day the faces of all your servants, which this day have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines;
19:6 이는 왕께서 미워하는 자는 사랑하시며 사랑하는 자는 미워하시고 오늘 장관들과 신복들을 멸시하심을 나타내심이라 오늘 내가 깨달으니 만일 압살롬이 살고 오늘 우리가 다 죽었더면 왕이 마땅히 여기실 뻔하였나이다
19:6 In that you love yours enemies, and hate your friends. For you have declared this day, that you regard neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased you well.
19:7 이제 곧 일어나 나가서 왕의 신복들의 마음을 위로하여 말씀하옵소서 내가 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하옵나니 왕이 만일 나가지 아니하시면 오늘 밤에 한 사람도 왕과 함께 머물지 아니할지라 그리하면 그 화가 왕이 젊었을 때부터 지금까지 당하신 모든 화보다 더욱 심하리이다
19:7 Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto your servants: for I swear by the LORD, if you go not forth, there will not tarry one with you this night: and that will be worse unto you than all the evil that befell you from your youth until now.
19:8 왕이 일어나 성문에 앉으매 혹이 모든 백성에게 고하되 왕이 문에 앉아 계시다 하니 모든 백성이 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라 ○ 이스라엘은 이미 각기 장막으로 도망하였더라
19:8 Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
19:9 이스라엘 모든 지파 백성들이 변론하여 가로되 왕이 우리를 원수의 손에서 구원하여 내셨고 또 우리를 블레셋 사람의 손에서 구원하셨으나 이제 압살롬을 피하여 나라에서 나가셨고
19:9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.
19:10 우리가 기름을 부어 우리를 다스리게 한 압살롬은 싸움에 죽었거늘 이제 너희가 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔 올 일에 잠잠하고 있느냐 하니라
19:10 And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak all of you not a word of bringing the king back?
19:11 ○ 다윗 왕이 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 기별하여 가로되 너희는 유다 장로들에게 고하여 이르기를 왕의 말씀이 온 이스라엘이 왕을 궁으로 도로 모셔 오자 하는 말이 왕께 들렸거늘 너희는 어찌하여 궁으로 모시는 일에 나중이 되느냐
19:11 And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are all of you the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.
19:12 너희는 내 형제요 내 골육이어늘 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔오는 일에 나중이 되리요 하셨다 하고
19:12 All of you are my brethren, all of you are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are all of you the last to bring back the king?
19:13 너희는 또 아마사에게 이르기를 너는 내 골육이 아니냐 네가 요압을 대신하여 항상 내 앞에서 군장이 되지 아니하면 하나님이 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리시기를 바라노라 하셨다 하라 하여
19:13 And say all of you to Amasa, Are you not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
19:14 모든 유다 사람들로 마음을 일제히 돌리게 하매 저희가 왕께 보내어 가로되 왕은 모든 신복으로 더불어 돌아오소서 한지라
19:14 And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return you, and all your servants.
19:15 왕이 돌아와 요단에 이르매 유다 족속이 왕을 맞아 요단을 건네려 하여 길갈로 오니라
19:15 So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.
19:16 ○ 바후림에 있는 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 급히 유다 사람과 함께 다윗 왕을 맞으려 내려올 때에
19:16 And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.
19:17 베냐민 사람 일천 명이 저와 함께 하고 사울의 사환 시바도 그 아들 열 다섯과 종 스무 명으로 더불어 저와 함께 하여 요단 강을 밟고 건너 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라
19:17 And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.
19:18 왕의 가족을 건네려 하며 왕의 선히 여기는 대로 쓰게 하려 하여 나룻배가 건너가니 왕이 요단을 건너려 할 때에 게라의 아들 시므이가 왕의 앞에 엎드려
19:18 And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;
19:19 왕께 고하되 내 주여 원컨대 내게 죄 주지 마옵소서 내 주 왕께서 예루살렘에서 나오시던 날에 종의 패역한 일을 기억하지 마옵시며 마음에 두지 마옵소서
19:19 And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do you remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
19:20 왕의 종 내가 범죄한 줄 아옵는 고로 오늘 요셉의 온 족속 중 내가 먼저 내려와서 내 주 왕을 영접하나이다
19:20 For your servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.
19:21 ○ 스루야의 아들 아비새가 대답하여 가로되 시므이가 여호와의 기름 부으신 자를 저주하였으니 그로 인하여 죽어야 마땅치 아니하니이까
19:21 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?
19:22 다윗이 가로되 스루야의 아들들아 내가 너희와 무슨 상관이 있기로 너희가 오늘 나의 대적이 되느냐 오늘 어찌하여 이스라엘 가운데서 사람을 죽이겠느냐 내가 오늘날 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것을 내가 알지 못하리요 하고
19:22 And David said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah, that all of you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
19:23 시므이에게 이르되 네가 죽지 아니하리라 하고 저에게 맹세하니라
19:23 Therefore the king said unto Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore unto him.
19:24 ○ 사울의 손자 므비보셋이 내려와서 왕을 맞으니 저는 왕의 떠난 날부터 평안히 돌아오는 날까지 그 발을 맵시 내지 아니하며 그 수염을 깎지 아니하며 옷을 빨지 아니하였더라
19:24 And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.
19:25 예루살렘에서 와서 왕을 맞을 때에 왕이 저에게 물어 가로되 므비보셋이여 네가 어찌하여 나와 함께 가지 아니하였더뇨
19:25 And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore went not you with me, Mephibosheth?
19:26 대답하되 내 주 왕이여 왕의 종 나는 절뚝발이이므로 내 나귀에 안장을 지워 타고 왕과 함께 가려 하였더니 나의 종이 나를 속이고
19:26 And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for your servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because your servant is lame.
19:27 종 나를 내 주 왕께 참소하였나이다 내 주 왕께서는 하나님의 사자와 같으시니 왕의 처분대로 하옵소서
19:27 And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in yours eyes.
19:28 내 아비의 온 집이 내 주 왕 앞에서는 다만 죽을 사람이 되지 아니하였었나이까 그러나 종을 왕의 상에서 음식 먹는 자 가운데 두셨사오니 내게 오히려 무슨 옳음이 있어서 다시 왕께 부르짖을 수 있사오리이까
19:28 For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did you set your servant among them that did eat at yours own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
19:29 왕이 저에게 이르되 네가 어찌하여 또 네 일을 말하느냐 내가 이르노니 너는 시바와 밭을 나누라
19:29 And the king said unto him, Why speak you any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.
19:30 므비보셋이 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕께서 평안히 궁에 돌아오시게 되었으니 저로 그 전부를 차지하게 하옵소서 하니라
19:30 And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king has come again in peace unto his own house.
19:31 ○ 길르앗 사람 바르실래가 왕을 보내어 요단을 건네려고 로글림에서 내려와서 함께 요단에 이르니
19:31 And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.
19:32 바르실래는 매우 늙어 나이 팔십 세라 저는 거부인 고로 왕이 마하나임에 유할 때에 왕을 공궤하였더라
19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.
19:33 왕이 바르실래에게 이르되 너는 나와 함께 건너가자 예루살렘에서 내가 너를 공궤하리라
19:33 And the king said unto Barzillai, Come you over with me, and I will feed you with me in Jerusalem.
19:34 바르실래가 왕께 고하되 내 생명의 날이 얼마나 있삽관대 어찌 왕과 함께 예루살렘으로 올라가리이까
19:34 And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?
19:35 내 나이 이제 팔십 세라 어떻게 좋고 흉한 것을 분간할 수 있사오며 음식의 맛을 알 수 있사오리이까 어떻게 다시 노래하는 남자나 여인의 소리를 알아 들을 수 있사오리이까 어찌하여 종이 내 주 왕께 오히려 누를 끼치리이까
19:35 I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should your servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
19:36 종은 왕을 모시고 요단을 건너려는 것 뿐이어늘 왕께서 어찌하여 이같은 상으로 내게 갚으려 하시나이까
19:36 Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
19:37 청컨대 종을 돌려보내옵소서 내가 내 본성 부모의 묘 곁에서 죽으려 하나이다 그러나 왕의 종 김함이 여기 있사오니 청컨대 저로 내 주 왕과 함께 건너가게 하옵시고 왕의 처분대로 저에게 베푸소서
19:37 Let your servant, I pray you, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto you.
19:38 왕이 대답하되 김함이 나와 함께 건너가리니 내가 너의 좋아하는 대로 저에게 베풀겠고 또 네가 내게 구하는 것은 다 너를 위하여 시행하리라 하니라
19:38 And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto you: and whatsoever you shall require of me, that will I do for you.
19:39 백성이 다 요단을 건너매 왕도 건너가서 바르실래의 입을 맞추고 위하여 복을 비니 저가 자기 곳으로 돌아가니라
19:39 And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.
19:40 ○ 왕이 길갈로 건너오고 김함도 함께 건너오니 온 유다 백성과 이스라엘 백성의 절반이나 왕을 호행하니라
19:40 Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.
19:41 온 이스라엘 사람이 왕께 나아와서 고하되 우리 형제 유다 사람들이 어찌 왕을 도적하여 왕과 왕의 권속과 왕을 좇는 모든 사람을 인도하여 요단을 건네었나이까 하매
19:41 And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?
19:42 유다 모든 사람이 이스라엘 사람에게 대답하되 왕은 우리의 지친인 까닭이라 너희가 어찌 이 일에 대하여 분 내느냐 우리가 왕의 물건을 조금이라도 먹었느냐 왕께서 우리에게 선물 주신 것이 있느냐
19:42 And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be all of you angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or has he given us any gift?
19:43 이스라엘 사람이 유다 사람에게 대답하여 이르되 우리는 왕에 대하여 십분을 가졌으니 다윗에게 대하여 너희보다 더욱 관계가 있거늘 너희가 어찌 우리를 멸시하여 우리 왕을 모셔 오는 일에 먼저 우리와 의논하지 아니하였느냐 하나 유다 사람의 말이 이스라엘 사람의 말보다 더 강경하였더라
19:43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than all of you: why then did all of you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
20:1 마침 거기 난류 하나가 있으니 베냐민 사람 비그리의 아들 세바라 하는 자라 저가 나팔을 불며 가로되 우리는 다윗과 함께 할 분의가 없으며 이새의 아들과 함께 할 업이 없도다 이스라엘아 각각 장막으로 돌아가라 하매
20:1 And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
20:2 이에 온 이스라엘 사람들이 다윗 좇기를 그치고 올라가 비그리의 아들 세바를 좇으나 유다 사람들은 왕에게 합하여 요단에서 예루살렘까지 좇으니라
20:2 So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.
20:3 ○ 다윗이 예루살렘 본궁에 이르러 전에 머물러 궁을 지키게 한 후궁 열 명을 잡아 별실에 가두고 먹을 것만 주고 더불어 동침치 아니하니 저희가 죽는 날까지 갇혀서 생과부로 지내니라
20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
20:4 ○ 왕이 아마사에게 이르되 너는 나를 위하여 삼 일 내로 유다 사람을 소집하고 너도 여기 있으라
20:4 Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be you here present.
20:5 아마사가 유다 사람을 소집하러 가더니 왕의 정한 기한에 지체된지라
20:5 So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
20:6 다윗이 이에 아비새에게 이르되 이제 비그리의 아들 세바가 압살롬보다 우리를 더 해하리니 너는 네 주의 신복들을 거느리고 쫓아가라 저가 견고한 성에 들어가서 우리들을 피할까 염려하노라 하매
20:6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take you your lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
20:7 요압을 좇는 자들과 그렛 사람들과 블렛 사람들과 모든 용사들이 다 아비새를 따라 비그리의 아들 세바를 쫓으려고 예루살렘에서 나와서
20:7 And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:8 기브온 큰 바위 곁에 이르매 아마사가 맞으러 오니 때에 요압이 군복을 입고 띠를 띠고 집에 꽂은 칼을 허리에 매었는데 저가 행할 때에 칼이 빠져 떨어졌더라
20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.
20:9 요압이 아마사에게 이르되 형은 평안하뇨 하며 오른손으로 아마사의 수염을 잡고 그 입을 맞추려는 체하매
20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Are you in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.
20:10 아마사가 요압의 손에 있는 칼은 주의치 아니한지라 요압이 칼로 그 배를 찌르매 그 창자가 땅에 흐르니 다시 치지 아니하여도 죽으니라 ○ 요압과 그 동생 아비새가 비그리의 아들 세바를 쫓을새
20:10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he stroke him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:11 요압의 소년 중 하나가 아마사의 곁에 서서 가로되 요압을 좋아하는 자와 다윗을 위하는 자는 요압을 따르라 할 때에
20:11 And one of Joab's men stood by him, and said, He that favours Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.
20:12 아마사가 길 가운데 피 속에 굴어졌는지라 그 소년이 모든 백성의 섰는 것을 보고 아마사를 큰 길에서부터 밭으로 옮겼으나 거기 이르는 자도 다 멈추어 서는 것을 보고 옷을 그 위에 덮으니라
20:12 And Amasa wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.
20:13 아마사를 큰 길에서 옮겨가매 사람들이 다 요압을 따라 비그리의 아들 세바를 쫓아가니라
20:13 When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:14 ○ 요압이 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데 두루 행하여 아벨과 벧마아가와 베림 온 땅에 이르니 그 무리도 다 모여 저를 따르더라
20:14 And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.
20:15 이에 저희가 벧마아가 아벨로 가서 세바를 에우고 그 성읍을 향하여 해자 언덕 위에 토성을 쌓고 요압과 함께 한 모든 백성이 성벽을 쳐서 헐고자 하더니
20:15 And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.
20:16 그 성에서 지혜로운 여인 하나가 외쳐 가로되 들을지어다 들을지어다 청컨대 너희는 요압에게 이르기를 이리로 가까이 오라 내가 네게 말하려 하노라 한다 하라
20:16 Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near here, that I may speak with you.
20:17 요압이 그 여인에게 가까이 가니 여인이 가로되 당신이 요압이니이까 대답하되 그러하다 여인이 저에게 이르되 여종의 말을 들으소서 대답하되 내가 들으리라
20:17 And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Are you Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of yours handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.
20:18 여인이 말하여 가로되 옛 사람들이 흔히 말하기를 아벨에 가서 물을 것이라 하고 그 일을 끝내었나이다
20:18 Then she spoke, saying, They were known to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
20:19 나는 이스라엘의 화평하고 충성된 자 중 하나이어늘 당신이 이스라엘 가운데 어미 같은 성을 멸하고자 하시는도다 어찌하여 당신이 여호와의 기업을 삼키고자 하시나이까
20:19 I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: you seek to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why will you swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
20:20 요압이 대답하여 가로되 결단코 그렇지 아니하다 결단코 그렇지 아니하다 삼키거나 멸하거나 하려 함이 아니니
20:20 And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
20:21 그 일이 그러한 것이 아니니라 에브라임 산지 사람 비그리의 아들 세바라 하는 자가 손을 들어 왕 다윗을 대적하였나니 너희가 저만 내어주면 내가 이 성읍에서 떠나가리라 여인이 요압에게 이르되 저의 머리를 성벽에서 당신에게 내어 던지리이다 하고
20:21 The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall.
20:22 이에 여인이 그 지혜로 모든 백성에게 말하매 저희가 비그리의 아들 세바의 머리를 베어 요압에게 던진지라 이에 요압이 나팔을 불매 무리가 흩어져 성읍에서 물러나서 각기 장막으로 돌아가고 요압은 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 왕에게 나아가니라
20:22 Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
20:23 ○ 요압은 이스라엘 온 군대의 장관이 되고 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람의 장관이 되고
20:23 Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:
20:24 아도니람은 감역관이 되고 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이 되고
20:24 And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
20:25 스와는 서기관이 되고 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이 되고
20:25 And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
20:26 야일 사람 이라는 다윗의 대신이 되니라
20:26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.
21:1 다윗의 시대에 년부년 삼 년 기근이 있으므로 다윗이 여호와 앞에 간구하매 여호와께서 가라사대 이는 사울과 피를 흘린 그 집을 인함이니 저가 기브온 사람을 죽였음이니라 하시니라
21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
21:2 기브온 사람은 이스라엘 족속이 아니요 아모리 사람 중에서 남은 자라 이스라엘 족속들이 전에 저희에게 맹세하였거늘 사울이 이스라엘과 유다 족속을 위하여 열심이 있으므로 저희 죽이기를 꾀하였더라 이에 왕이 기브온 사람을 불러 물으니라
21:2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
21:3 다윗이 저희에게 묻되 내가 너희를 위하여 어떻게 하랴 내가 어떻게 속죄하여야 너희가 여호와의 기업을 위하여 복을 빌겠느냐
21:3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that all of you may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
21:4 기브온 사람이 대답하되 사울과 그 집과 우리 사이의 일은 은금에 있지 아니하오나 이스라엘 가운데서 사람을 죽이는 일은 우리에게 있지 아니하니이다 왕이 가로되 너희의 말하는 대로 시행하리라
21:4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shall you kill any man in Israel. And he said, What all of you shall say, that will I do for you.
21:5 저희가 왕께 고하되 우리를 학살하였고 또 우리를 멸하여 이스라엘 경내에 머물지 못하게 하려고 모해한 사람의
21:5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
21:6 자손 일곱을 내어 주소서 여호와의 빼신 사울의 고을 기브아에서 우리가 저희를 여호와 앞에서 목매어 달겠나이다 왕이 가로되 내가 내어 주리라 하니라
21:6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.
21:7 ○ 그러나 다윗과 사울의 아들 요나단 사이에 서로 여호와를 가리켜 맹세한 것이 있으므로 왕이 사울의 손자 요나단의 아들 므비보셋은 아끼고
21:7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
21:8 이에 아야의 딸 리스바에게서 난 자 곧 사울의 두 아들 알모니와 므비보셋과 사울의 딸 메랍에게서 난 자 곧 므흘랏 사람 바실래의 아들 아드리엘의 다섯 아들을 잡고
21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
21:9 저희를 기브온 사람의 손에 붙이니 기브온 사람이 저희를 산 위에서 여호와 앞에 목매어 달매 저희 일곱 사람이 함께 죽으니 죽은 때는 곡식 베는 처음 날 곧 보리 베기 시작하는 때더라
21:9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
21:10 ○ 아야의 딸 리스바가 굵은 베를 가져다가 자기를 위하여 반석 위에 펴고 곡식 베기 시작할 때부터 하늘에서 비가 시체에 쏟아지기까지 그 시체에 낮에는 공중의 새가 앉지 못하게 하고 밤에는 들짐승이 범하지 못하게 한지라
21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
21:11 이에 아야의 딸 사울의 첩 리스바의 행한 일이 다윗에게 들리매
21:11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
21:12 다윗이 가서 사울의 뼈와 그 아들 요나단의 뼈를 길르앗 야베스 사람에게서 취하니 이는 전에 블레셋 사람이 사울을 길보아에서 죽여 벳산 거리에 매어 단 것을 저희가 가만히 가져온 것이라
21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
21:13 다윗이 그 곳에서 사울의 뼈와 그 아들 요나단의 뼈를 가지고 올라오매 사람들이 그 달려 죽은 자들의 뼈를 거두어다가
21:13 And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
21:14 사울과 그 아들 요나단의 뼈와 함께 베냐민 땅 셀라에서 그 아비 기스의 묘에 장사하되 모두 왕의 명대로 좇아 행하니라 그 후에야 하나님이 그 땅을 위하여 기도를 들으시니라
21:14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the tomb of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was implored for the land.
21:15 ○ 블레셋 사람이 다시 이스라엘을 치거늘 다윗이 그 신복들과 함께 내려가서 블레셋 사람과 싸우더니 다윗이 피곤하매
21:15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
21:16 장대한 자의 아들 중에 삼백 세겔 중 되는 놋 창을 들고 새 칼을 찬 이스비브놉이 다윗을 죽이려 하므로
21:16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
21:17 스루야의 아들 아비새가 다윗을 도와 그 블레셋 사람을 쳐죽이니 다윗의 종자들이 다윗에게 맹세하여 가로되 왕은 다시 우리와 함께 전장에 나가지 마옵소서 이스라엘의 등불이 꺼지지 말게 하옵소서 하니라
21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and stroke the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore unto him, saying, You shall go no more out with us to battle, that you quench not the light of Israel.
21:18 ○ 그 후에 다시 블레셋 사람과 곱에서 전쟁할 때에 후사 사람 십브개가 장대한 자의 아들 중에 삽을 쳐죽였고
21:18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
21:19 또 다시 블레셋 사람과 곱에서 전쟁할 때에 베들레헴 사람 야레오르김의 아들 엘하난이 가드 골리앗의 아우 라흐미를 죽였는데 그 자의 창 자루는 베틀채 같았더라
21:19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
21:20 또 가드에서 전쟁할 때에 그 곳에 키 큰 자 하나는 매손과 매발에 가락이 여섯씩 모두 스물 네 가락이 있는데 저도 장대한 자의 소생이라
21:20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
21:21 저가 이스라엘 사람을 능욕하므로 다윗의 형 삼마의 아들 요나단이 저를 죽이니라
21:21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him.
21:22 이 네 사람 가드의 장대한 자의 소생이 다윗의 손과 그 신복의 손에 다 죽었더라
21:22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
22:1 여호와께서 다윗을 모든 대적의 손과 사울의 손에서 구원하신 그 날에 다윗이 이 노래의 말씀으로 여호와께 아뢰어
22:1 And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
22:2 가로되 여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 자시오
22:2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
22:3 나의 하나님이시요 나의 피할 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 높은 망대시요 나의 피란처시요 나의 구원자시라 나를 흉악에서 구원하셨도다
22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; you save me from violence.
22:4 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 얻으리로다
22:4 I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
22:5 사망의 물결이 나를 에우고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며
22:5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
22:6 음부의 줄이 나를 두르고 사망의 올무가 내게 이르렀도다
22:6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
22:7 내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 아뢰었더니 저가 그 전에서 내 소리를 들으심이여 나의 부르짖음이 그 귀에 들렸도다
22:7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
22:8 이에 땅이 진동하고 떨며 하늘 기초가 요동하고 흔들렸으니 그의 진노를 인함이로다
22:8 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was angry.
22:9 그 코에서 연기가 오르고 입에서 불이 나와 사름이여 그 불에 숯이 피었도다
22:9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
22:10 저가 또 하늘을 드리우고 강림하시니 그 발 아래는 어둑캄캄하도다
22:10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
22:11 그룹을 타고 날으심이여 바람 날개 위에 나타나셨도다
22:11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
22:12 저가 흑암 곧 모인 물과 공중의 빽빽한 구름으로 둘린 장막을 삼으심이여
22:12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
22:13 그 앞에 있는 광채로 인하여 숯불이 피었도다
22:13 Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
22:14 여호와께서 하늘에서 뇌성을 발하시며 지존하신 자가 음성을 내심이여
22:14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
22:15 살을 날려 저희를 흩으시며 번개로 파하셨도다
22:15 And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and humiliated them.
22:16 이럴 때에 여호와의 꾸지람과 콧김을 인하여 물 밑이 드러나고 땅의 기초가 나타났도다
22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
22:17 저가 위에서 보내사 나를 취하심이여 많은 물에서 나를 건져내셨도다
22:17 He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
22:18 나를 강한 원수와 미워하는 자에게서 건지셨음이여 저희는 나보다 힘센 연고로다
22:18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
22:19 저희가 나의 재앙의 날에 내게 이르렀으나 여호와께서 나의 의지가 되셨도다
22:19 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
22:20 나를 또 넓은 곳으로 인도하시고 나를 기뻐하시므로 구원하셨도다
22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
22:21 여호와께서 내 의를 따라 상 주시며 내 손의 깨끗함을 좇아 갚으셨으니
22:21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.
22:22 이는 내가 여호와의 도를 지키고 악을 행하여 내 하나님을 떠나지 아니하였으며
22:22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22:23 그 모든 규례를 내 앞에 두고 그 율례를 버리지 아니하였음이로다
22:23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
22:24 내가 또 그 앞에 완전하여 스스로 지켜 죄악을 피하였나니
22:24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
22:25 그러므로 여호와께서 내 의대로, 그 목전에 내 깨끗한 대로 내게 갚으셨도다
22:25 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
22:26 자비한 자에게는 주의 자비하심을 나타내시며 완전한 자에게는 주의 완전하심을 보이시며
22:26 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright.
22:27 깨끗한 자에게는 주의 깨끗하심을 보이시며 사특한 자에게는 주의 거스리심을 보이시리이다
22:27 With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the perverse you will show yourself unpleasing.
22:28 주께서 곤고한 백성은 구원하시고 교만한 자를 살피사 낮추시리이다
22:28 And the afflicted people you will save: but yours eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down.
22:29 여호와여 주는 나의 등불이시니 여호와께서 나의 흑암을 밝히시리이다
22:29 For you are my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
22:30 내가 주를 의뢰하고 적군에 달리며 내 하나님을 의지하고 성벽을 뛰어넘나이다
22:30 For by you I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
22:31 하나님의 도는 완전하고 여호와의 말씀은 정미하니 저는 자기에게 피하는 모든 자에게 방패시로다
22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
22:32 여호와 외에 누가 하나님이며 우리 하나님 외에 누가 바위뇨
22:32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
22:33 하나님은 나의 견고한 요새시며 나를 온전한 곳으로 인도하시며
22:33 God is my strength and power: and he makes my way perfect.
22:34 나의 발로 암사슴 발 같게 하시며 나를 나의 높은 곳에 세우시며
22:34 He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.
22:35 내 손을 가르쳐 싸우게 하시니 내 팔이 놋 활을 당기도다
22:35 He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
22:36 주께서 또 주의 구원의 방패를 내게 주시며 주의 온유함이 나를 크게 하셨나이다
22:36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.
22:37 내 걸음을 넓게 하셨고 나로 실족지 않게 하셨나이다
22:37 You have enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
22:38 내가 내 원수를 따라 멸하였사오며 저희를 무찌르기 전에는 돌이키지 아니하였나이다
22:38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
22:39 내가 저희를 무찔러 파하였더니 저희가 내 발 아래 엎드러지고 능히 일어나지 못하였나이다
22:39 And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
22:40 이는 주께서 나로 전쟁케 하려고 능력으로 내게 띠 띠우사 일어나 나를 치는 자로 내게 굴복케 하셨사오며
22:40 For you have girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me have you subdued under me.
22:41 주께서 또 내 원수들로 등을 내게로 향하게 하시고 나로 나를 미워하는 자를 끊어 버리게 하셨음이니이다
22:41 You have also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
22:42 저희가 둘러보아도 구원할 자가 없었고 여호와께 부르짖어도 대답지 아니하셨나이다
22:42 They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
22:43 내가 저희를 땅의 티끌 같이 부스러뜨리고 거리의 진흙 같이 밟아 헤쳤나이다
22:43 Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
22:44 주께서 또 나를 내 백성의 다툼에서 건지시고 나를 보존하사 열방의 으뜸을 삼으셨으니 내가 알지 못하는 백성이 나를 섬기리이다
22:44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people, you have kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
22:45 이방인들이 내게 굴복함이여 저희가 내 풍성을 듣고 곧 순복하리로다
22:45 Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
22:46 이방인들이 쇠미하여 그 견고한 곳에서 떨며 나오리로다
22:46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
22:47 여호와는 생존하시니 나의 바위를 찬송하며 내 구원의 바위이신 하나님을 높일지로다
22:47 The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
22:48 이 하나님이 나를 위하여 보수하시고 민족들로 내게 복종케 하시며
22:48 It is God that avenges me, and that brings down the people under me.
22:49 나를 원수들에게서 나오게 하시며 나를 대적하는 자 위에 나를 드시고 나를 강포한 자에게서 건지시는도다
22:49 And that brings me forth from mine enemies: you also have lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.
22:50 이러므로 여호와여 내가 열방 중에서 주께 감사하며 주의 이름을 찬양하리이다
22:50 Therefore I will give thanks unto you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto your name.
22:51 여호와께서 그 왕에게 큰 구원을 주시며 기름 부음 받은 자에게 인자를 베푸심이여 영원토록 다윗과 그 후손에게로다 하였더라
22:51 He is the tower of salvation for his king: and shows mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
23:1 이는 다윗의 마지막 말이라 이새의 아들 다윗이 말함이여 높이 올리운 자, 야곱의 하나님에게 기름 부음 받은 자, 이스라엘의 노래 잘하는 자가 말하도다
23:1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
23:2 여호와의 신이 나를 빙자하여 말씀하심이여 그 말씀이 내 혀에 있도다
23:2 The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.
23:3 이스라엘의 하나님이 말씀하시며 이스라엘의 바위가 내게 이르시기를 사람을 공의로 다스리는 자, 하나님을 경외함으로 다스리는 자여
23:3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
23:4 저는 돋는 해 아침 빛 같고 구름 없는 아침 같고 비 후의 광선으로 땅에서 움이 돋는 새 풀 같으니라 하시도다
23:4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
23:5 내 집이 하나님 앞에 이같지 아니하냐 하나님이 나로 더불어 영원한 언약을 세우사 만사에 구비하고 견고케 하셨으니 나의 모든 구원과 나의 모든 소원을 어찌 이루지 아니하시랴
23:5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
23:6 그러나 사악한 자는 다 내어버리울 가시나무 같으니 이는 손으로 잡을 수 없음이로다
23:6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
23:7 그것들을 만지는 자는 철과 창자루를 가져야 하리니 그것들이 당장에 불사르이리로다 하니라
23:7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.
23:8 ○ 다윗의 용사들의 이름이 이러하니라 다그몬 사람 요셉밧세벳이라고도 하고 에센 사람 아디노라고도 하는 자는 군장의 두목이라 저가 한 때에 팔백 인을 쳐죽였더라
23:8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at the same.
23:9 ○ 그 다음은 아호아 사람 도대의 아들 엘르아살이니 다윗과 함께 한 세 용사 중에 하나이라 블레셋 사람이 싸우려고 모이매 이스라엘 사람들이 물러간지라 세 용사가 싸움을 돋우고
23:9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:
23:10 저가 나가서 손이 피곤하여 칼에 붙기까지 블레셋 사람을 치니라 그 날에 여호와께서 크게 이기게 하셨으므로 백성들은 돌아와서 저의 뒤를 따라가며 노략할 뿐이었더라
23:10 He arose, and stroke the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.
23:11 ○ 그 다음은 하랄 사람 아게의 아들 삼마라 블레셋 사람이 떼를 지어 녹두나무가 가득한 밭에 모이매 백성들은 블레셋 사람 앞에서 도망하되
23:11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled from the Philistines.
23:12 저는 그 밭 가운데 서서 막아 블레셋 사람을 친지라 여호와께서 큰 구원을 이루시니라
23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.
23:13 ○ 또 삼십 두목 중 세 사람이 곡식 벨 때에 아둘람 굴에 이르러 다윗에게 나아갔는데 때에 블레셋 사람의 떼가 르바임 골짜기에 진 쳤더라
23:13 And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
23:14 그 때에 다윗은 산성에 있고 블레셋 사람의 영채는 베들레헴에 있는지라
23:14 And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
23:15 다윗이 사모하여 가로되 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 누가 나로 마시게 할꼬 하매
23:15 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!
23:16 세 용사가 블레셋 사람의 군대를 충돌하고 지나가서 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 길어 가지고 다윗에게로 왔으나 다윗이 마시기를 기뻐 아니하고 그 물을 여호와께 부어 드리며
23:16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
23:17 가로되 여호와여 내가 결단코 이런 일을 하지 아니하리이다 이는 생명을 돌아보지 아니하고 갔던 사람들의 피니이다 하고 마시기를 즐겨 아니하니라 세 용사가 이런 일을 행하였더라
23:17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
23:18 ○ 또 스루야의 아들 요압의 아우 아비새니 저는 그 삼 인의 두목이라 저가 창을 들어 삼백 인을 죽이고 그 삼 인 중에 이름을 얻었으니
23:18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.
23:19 저는 삼 인 중에 가장 존귀한 자가 아니냐 저가 저희의 두목이 되었으나 그러나 첫 삼 인에게는 미치지 못하였더라
23:19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: nevertheless he attained not unto the first three.
23:20 ○ 또 갑스엘 용사의 손자 여호야다의 아들 브나야니 저는 효용한 일을 행한 자라 일찌기 모압 아리엘의 아들 둘을 죽였고 또 눈 올 때에 함정에 내려가서 한 사자를 죽였으며
23:20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
23:21 또 장대한 애굽 사람을 죽였는데 그의 손에 창이 있어도 저가 막대를 가지고 내려가서 그 애굽 사람의 손에서 창을 빼앗아 그 창으로 죽였더라
23:21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
23:22 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 이런 일을 행하였으므로 세 용사 중에 이름을 얻고
23:22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.
23:23 삼십 인보다 존귀하나 그러나 첫 삼 인에게는 미치지 못하였더라 다윗이 저를 세워 시위대 장관을 삼았더라
23:23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.
23:24 ○ 요압의 아우 아사헬은 삼십 인 중에 하나요 또 베들레헴 도도의 아들 엘하난과
23:24 Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
23:25 하롯 사람 삼훗과 하롯 사람 엘리가와
23:25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
23:26 발디 사람 헬레스와 드고아 사람 익게스의 아들 이라와
23:26 Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
23:27 아나돗 사람 아비에셀과 후사 사람 므분내와
23:27 Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
23:28 아호아 사람 살몬과 느도바 사람 마하래와
23:28 Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
23:29 느도바 사람 바아나의 아들 헬렙과 베냐민 자손에 속한 기브아 사람 리배의 아들 잇대와
23:29 Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,
23:30 비라돈 사람 브나야와 가아스 시냇가에 사는 힛대와
23:30 Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
23:31 아르바 사람 아비알본과 바르훔 사람 아스마웻과
23:31 Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,
23:32 사알본 사람 엘리아바와 야센의 아들 요나단과
23:32 Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,
23:33 하랄 사람 삼마와 아랄 사람 사랄의 아들 아히암과
23:33 Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,
23:34 마아가 사람의 손자 아하스배의 아들 엘리벨렛과 길로 사람 아히도벨의 아들 엘리암과
23:34 Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,
23:35 갈멜 사람 헤스래와 아랍 사람 바아래와
23:35 Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,
23:36 소바 나단의 아들 이갈과 갓 사람 바니와
23:36 Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
23:37 암몬 사람 셀렉과 스루야의 아들 요압의 병기 잡은 자 브에롯 사람 나하래와
23:37 Zelek the Ammonite, Nahari the Beerothite, armour bearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,
23:38 이델 사람 이라와 이델 사람 가렙과
23:38 Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,
23:39 헷 사람 우리아라 이상 도합이 삼십 칠 인이었더라
23:39 Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
24:1 여호와께서 다시 이스라엘을 향하여 진노하사 저희를 치시려고 다윗을 감동시키사 가서 이스라엘과 유다의 인구를 조사하라 하신지라
24:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
24:2 왕이 이에 그 곁에 있는 군대 장관 요압에게 이르되 너는 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데로 다니며 단에서부터 브엘세바까지 인구를 조사하여 그 도수를 내게 알게 하라
24:2 For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number all of you the people, that I may know the number of the people.
24:3 요압이 왕께 고하되 이 백성은 얼마든지 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 백 배나 더하게 하사 내 주 왕의 눈으로 보게 하시기를 원하나이다 그런데 내 주 왕은 어찌하여 이런 일을 기뻐하시나이까 하되
24:3 And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD your God add unto the people, no matter how many they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?
24:4 왕의 명령이 요압과 군대 장관들을 재촉한지라 요압과 장관들이 이스라엘 인구를 조사하려고 왕의 앞에서 물러나서
24:4 Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.
24:5 요단을 건너 갓 골짜기 가운데 성읍 아로엘 우편 곧 야셀 맞은편에 이르러 장막을 치고
24:5 And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lies in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:
24:6 길르앗에 이르고 닷딤홋시 땅에 이르고 또 다냐안에 이르러서는 시돈으로 돌아서
24:6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon,
24:7 두로 견고한 성에 이르고 히위 사람과 가나안 사람의 모든 성읍에 이르고 유다 남편으로 나와서 브엘세바에 이르니라
24:7 And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.
24:8 저희 무리가 국중을 두루 돌아 아홉 달 스무 날 만에 예루살렘에 이르러
24:8 So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
24:9 요압이 인구 도수를 왕께 고하니 곧 이스라엘에서 칼을 빼는 담대한 자가 팔십만이요 유다 사람이 오십만이었더라
24:9 And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
24:10 ○ 다윗이 인구 수를 조사한 후에 그 마음에 자책하고 여호와께 아뢰되 내가 이 일을 행함으로 큰 죄를 범하였나이다 여호와여 이제 간구하옵나니 종의 죄를 사하여 주옵소서 내가 심히 미련하게 행하였나이다 하니라
24:10 And David's heart stroke him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I plead to you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.
24:11 다윗이 아침에 일어날 때에 여호와의 말씀이 다윗의 선견자 된 선지자 갓에게 임하여 가라사대
24:11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
24:12 가서 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 내가 네게 세 가지를 보이노니 너는 그 중에서 하나를 택하라 내가 그것을 네게 행하리라 하셨다 하라
24:12 Go and say unto David, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things; choose you one of them, that I may do it unto you.
24:13 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 고하여 가로되 왕의 땅에 칠 년 기근이 있을 것이니이까 혹시 왕이 왕의 대적에게 쫓겨 석 달을 그 앞에서 도망하실 것이니이까 혹시 왕의 땅에 삼 일 동안 온역이 있을 것이니이까 왕은 생각하여 보고 나를 보내신 이에게 대답하게 하소서
24:13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto you in your land? or will you flee three months before yours enemies, while they pursue you? or that there be three days' pestilence in your land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
24:14 다윗이 갓에게 이르되 내가 곤경에 있도다 여호와께서는 긍휼이 크시니 우리가 여호와의 손에 빠지고 내가 사람의 손에 빠지지 않기를 원하노라
24:14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
24:15 이에 여호와께서 그 아침부터 정하신 때까지 온역을 이스라엘에게 내리시니 단부터 브엘세바까지 백성의 죽은 자가 칠만 인이라
24:15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.
24:16 천사가 예루살렘을 향하여 그 손을 들어 멸하려 하더니 여호와께서 이 재앙 내림을 뉘우치사 백성을 멸하는 천사에게 이르시되 족하다 이제는 네 손을 거두라 하시니 때에 여호와의 사자가 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당 곁에 있는지라
24:16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now yours hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:17 다윗이 백성을 치는 천사를 보고 곧 여호와께 아뢰어 가로되 나는 범죄하였고 악을 행하였삽거니와 이 양 무리는 무엇을 행하였나이까 청컨대 주의 손으로 나와 내 아비의 집을 치소서 하니라
24:17 And David spoke unto the LORD when he saw the angel that stroke the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let yours hand, I pray you, be against me, and against my father's house.
24:18 ○ 이 날에 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 고하되 올라가서 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당에서 여호와를 위하여 단을 쌓으소서 하매
24:18 And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:19 다윗이 여호와의 명하신 바 갓의 말대로 올라가니라
24:19 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
24:20 아라우나가 바라보다가 왕과 그 신복들이 자기를 향하여 옴을 보고 나가서 왕의 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하며
24:20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
24:21 가로되 어찌하여 내 주 왕께서 종에게 임하시나이까 다윗이 가로되 네게서 타작 마당을 사서 여호와께 단을 쌓아 백성에게 내리는 재앙을 그치게 하려 함이로라
24:21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing floor of you, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
24:22 아라우나가 다윗에게 고하되 원컨대 내 주 왕은 좋게 여기시는 대로 취하여 드리소서 번제에 대하여는 소가 있고 땔 나무에 대하여는 마당질하는 제구와 소의 멍에가 있나이다
24:22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seems good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
24:23 왕이여 아라우나가 이것을 다 왕께 드리나이다 하고 또 왕께 고하되 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕을 기쁘게 받으시기를 원하나이다
24:23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD your God accept you.
24:24 왕이 아라우나에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 값을 주고 네게서 사리라 값 없이는 내 하나님 여호와께 번제를 드리지 아니하리라 하고 은 오십 세겔로 타작 마당과 소를 사고
24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of you at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which does cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
24:25 그 곳에서 여호와를 위하여 단을 쌓고 번제와 화목제를 드렸더니 이에 여호와께서 그 땅을 위하여 기도를 들으시매 이스라엘에게 내리는 재앙이 그쳤더라
24:25 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was implored for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel. #@#
