21:1 여호와께서 그 말씀대로 사라를 권고하셨고 여호와께서 그 말씀대로 사라에게
행하셨으므로
21:1 And the Lord came to Sarah as he had said and did to her as he had undertaken.
21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah
as he had spoken.
21:2 사라가 잉태하고 하나님의 말씀하신 기한에 미쳐 늙은 아브라함에게 아들을
낳으니
21:2 And Sarah became with child, and gave Abraham a son when he was old, at the time
named by God.
21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set
time of which God had spoken to him.
21:3 아브라함이 그 낳은 아들 곧 사라가 자기에게 낳은 아들을 이름하여 이삭이라
하였고
21:3 And Abraham gave to his son, to whom Sarah had given birth, the name Isaac.
21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom
Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
21:4 그 아들 이삭이 난 지 팔 일 만에 그가 하나님의 명대로 할례를 행하였더라
21:4 And when his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham made him undergo circumcision,
as God had said to him.
21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had
commanded him.
21:5 아브라함이 그 아들 이삭을 낳을 때에 백 세라
21:5 Now Abraham was a hundred years old when the birth of Isaac took place.
21:5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto
him.
21:6 사라가 가로되 하나님이 나로 웃게 하시니 듣는 자가 다 나와 함께 웃으리로다
21:6 And Sarah said, God has given me cause for laughing, and everyone who has news of
it will be laughing with me.
21:6 And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh, so that all that hear will
laugh with me.
21:7 또 가로되 사라가 자식들을 젖 먹이겠다고 누가 아브라함에게 말하였으리요마는 아브라함 노경에 내가 아들을 낳았도다 하니라
21:7 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would have a child at her
breast? for see, I have given him a son now when he is old.
21:7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have
given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
21:8 ○ 아이가 자라매 젖을 떼고 이삭의 젖을 떼는 날에 아브라함이 대연을 배설하였더라
21:8 And when the child was old enough to be taken from the breast, Abraham made a great
feast.
21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the
same day that Isaac was weaned.
21:9 사라가 본즉 아브라함의 아들 애굽 여인 하갈의 소생이 이삭을 희롱하는지라
21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian playing with Isaac.
21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto
Abraham, mocking.
21:10 그가 아브라함에게 이르되 이 여종과 그 아들을 내어쫓으라 이 종의 아들은
내 아들 이삭과 함께 기업을 얻지 못하리라 하매
21:10 So she said to Abraham, Send away that woman and her son: for the son of that woman
is not to have a part in the heritage with my son Isaac.
21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son:
for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
21:11 아브라함이 그 아들을 위하여 그 일이 깊이 근심이 되었더니
21:11 And this was a great grief to Abraham because of his son.
21:11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
21:12 하나님이 아브라함에게 이르시되 네 아이나 네 여종을 위하여 근심치 말고
사라가 네게 이른 말을 다 들으라 이삭에게서 나는 자라야 네 씨라 칭할 것임이니라
21:12 But God said, Let it not be a grief to you because of the boy and Hagar his mother;
give ear to whatever Sarah says to you, because it is from Isaac that your seed
will take its name.
21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in your sight because
of the lad, and because of your bondwoman; in all that Sarah has said unto you,
hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall your seed be called.
21:13 그러나 여종의 아들도 네 씨니 내가 그로 한 민족을 이루게 하리라 하신지라
21:13 And I will make a nation of the son of your servant-woman, because he is your seed.
21:13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because
he is your seed.
21:14 아브라함이 아침에 일찌기 일어나 떡과 물 한 가죽부대를 취하여 하갈의
어깨에 메워 주고 그 자식을 이끌고 가게 하매 하갈이 나가서 브엘세바 들에서 방황하더니
21:14 And early in the morning Abraham got up, and gave Hagar some bread and a water-skin,
and put the boy on her back, and sent her away: and she went, wandering in the waste
land of Beer-sheba.
21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle
of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child,
and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
21:15 가죽부대의 물이 다한지라 그 자식을 떨기나무 아래 두며
21:15 And when all the water in the skin was used up, she put the child down under a tree.
21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under
one of the shrubs.
21:16 가로되 자식의 죽는 것을 참아 보지 못하겠다 하고 살 한 바탕쯤 가서 마주
앉아 바라보며 방성대곡하니
21:16 And she went some distance away, about an arrow flight, and seating herself on the
earth, she gave way to bitter weeping, saying, Let me not see the death of my child.
21:16 And she went, and sat her down opposite to him a good way off, as it
were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she
sat opposite to him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
21:17 하나님이 그 아이의 소리를 들으시므로 하나님의 사자가 하늘에서부터 하갈을
불러 가라사대 하갈아 무슨 일이냐 두려워 말라 하나님이 거기 있는 아이의 소리를
들으셨나니
21:17 And the boy's cry came to the ears of God; and the angel of God said to Hagar from
heaven, Hagar, why are you weeping? have no fear, for the child's cry has come to
the ears of God.
21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to
Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What disturbs you, Hagar? fear not;
for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
21:18 일어나 아이를 일으켜 네 손으로 붙들라 그로 큰 민족을 이루게 하리라
하시니라
21:18 Come, take your child in your arms, for I will make of him a great nation.
21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in yours hand; for I will make
him a great nation.
21:19 하나님이 하갈의 눈을 밝히시매 샘물을 보고 가서 가죽부대에 물을 채워다가
그 아이에게 마시웠더라
21:19 Then God made her eyes open, and she saw a water-spring, and she got water in the
skin and gave the boy a drink.
21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went,
and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
21:20 하나님이 그 아이와 함께 계시매 그가 장성하여 광야에 거하며 활 쏘는
자가 되었더니
21:20 And God was with the boy, and he became tall and strong, and he became a bowman,
living in the waste land.
21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness,
and became an archer.
21:21 그가 바란 광야에 거할 때에 그 어미가 그를 위하여 애굽 땅 여인을 취하여
아내를 삼게 하였더라
21:21 And while he was in the waste land of Paran, his mother got him a wife from the
land of Egypt.
21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a
wife out of the land of Egypt.
21:22 ○ 때에 아비멜렉과 그 군대 장관 비골이 아브라함에게 말하여 가로되 네가
무슨 일을 하든지 하나님이 너와 함께 계시도다
21:22 Now at that time, Abimelech and Phicol, the captain of his army, said to Abraham,
I see that God is with you in all you do.
21:22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief
captain of his host spoke unto Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that
you do:
21:23 그런즉 너는 나와 내 아들과 내 손자에게 거짓되이 행치 않기를 이제 여기서
하나님을 가리켜 내게 맹세하라 내가 네게 후대한 대로 너도 나와 너의 머무는 이
땅에 행할 것이니라
21:23 Now, then, give me your oath, in the name of God, that you will not be false to
me or to my sons after me, but that as I have been good to you, so you will be to
me and to this land where you have been living.
21:23 Now therefore swear unto me here by God that you will not deal falsely
with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness
that I have done unto you, you shall do unto me, and to the land wherein you
have sojourned.
21:24 아브라함이 가로되 내가 맹세하리라 하고
21:24 And Abraham said, I will give you my oath.
21:24 And Abraham said, I will swear.
21:25 아비멜렉의 종들이 아브라함의 우물을 늑탈한 일에 대하여 아브라함이 아비멜렉을
책망하매
21:25 But Abraham made a protest to Abimelech because of a water-hole which Abimelech's
servants had taken by force.
21:25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's
servants had violently taken away.
21:26 아비멜렉이 가로되 누가 그리하였는지 내가 알지 못하노라 너도 내게 고하지
아니하였고 나도 듣지 못하였더니 오늘이야 들었노라
21:26 But Abimelech said, I have no idea who has done this thing; you never gave me word
of it, and I had no knowledge of it till this day.
21:26 And Abimelech said, I know not who has done this thing; neither did
you tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
21:27 아브라함이 양과 소를 취하여 아비멜렉에게 주고 두 사람이 서로 언약을
세우니라
21:27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two of them
made an agreement together.
21:27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and
both of them made a covenant.
21:28 아브라함이 일곱 암양 새끼를 따로 놓으니
21:28 And Abraham put seven young lambs of the flock on one side by themselves.
21:28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
21:29 아비멜렉이 아브라함에게 이르되 이 일곱 암양 새끼를 따로 놓음은 어찜이뇨
21:29 Then Abimelech said, What are these seven lambs which you have put on one side?
21:29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which
you have set by themselves?
21:30 아브라함이 가로되 너는 내 손에서 이 암양 새끼 일곱을 받아 내가 이 우물
판 증거를 삼으라 하고
21:30 And he said, Take these seven lambs from me as a witness that I have made this water-hole.
21:30 And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shall you take of my hand, that
they may be a witness unto me, that I have dug this well.
21:31 두 사람이 거기서 서로 맹세하였으므로 그 곳을 브엘세바라 이름하였더라
21:31 So he gave that place the name Beer-sheba, because there the two of them had given
their oaths.
21:31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they swore
both of them.
21:32 그들이 브엘세바에서 언약을 세우매 아비멜렉과 그 군대 장관 비골은 떠나
블레셋 족속의 땅으로 돌아갔고
21:32 So they made an agreement at Beer-sheba, and Abimelech and Phicol, the captain of
his army, went back to the land of the Philistines.
21:32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and
Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the
Philistines.
21:33 아브라함은 브엘세바에 에셀나무를 심고 거기서 영생하시는 하나님 여호와의
이름을 불렀으며
21:33 And Abraham, after planting a holy tree in Beer-sheba, gave worship to the name
of the Lord, the Eternal God.
21:33 And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name
of the LORD, the everlasting God.
21:34 그가 블레셋 족속의 땅에서 여러 날을 지내었더라
21:34 And Abraham went on living in the land of the Philistines as in a strange country.
21:34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.
22:1 그 일 후에 하나님이 아브라함을 시험하시려고 그를 부르시되 아브라함아
하시니 그가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다
22:1 Now after these things, God put Abraham to the test, and said to him, Abraham; and
he said, Here am I.
22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham,
and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
22:2 여호와께서 가라사대 네 아들 네 사랑하는 독자 이삭을 데리고 모리아 땅으로
가서 내가 네게 지시하는 한 산 거기서 그를 번제로 드리라
22:2 And he said to him, Take your son, your dearly loved only son Isaac, and go to the
land of Moriah and give him as a burned offering on one of the mountains of which
I will give you knowledge.
22:2 And he said, Take now your son, yours only son Isaac, whom you love,
and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering
upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of.
22:3 아브라함이 아침에 일찌기 일어나 나귀에 안장을 지우고 두 사환과 그 아들
이삭을 데리고 번제에 쓸 나무를 쪼개어 가지고 떠나 하나님의 자기에게 지시하시는
곳으로 가더니
22:3 And Abraham got up early in the morning, and made ready his ass, and took with him
two of his young men and Isaac, his son, and after the wood for the burned offering
had been cut, he went on his way to the place of which God had given him word.
22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took
two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the
burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
22:4 제 삼 일에 아브라함이 눈을 들어 그 곳을 멀리 바라본지라
22:4 And on the third day, Abraham, lifting up his eyes, saw the place a long way off.
22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place
far off.
22:5 이에 아브라함이 사환에게 이르되 너희는 나귀와 함께 여기서 기다리라 내가
아이와 함께 저기 가서 경배하고 너희에게로 돌아오리라 하고
22:5 Then he said to his young men, Keep here with the ass; and I and the boy will go
on and give worship and come back again to you.
22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide all of you here with the
ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
22:6 아브라함이 이에 번제 나무를 취하여 그 아들 이삭에게 지우고 자기는 불과
칼을 손에 들고 두 사람이 동행하더니
22:6 And Abraham put the wood for the burned offering on his son's back, and he himself
took the fire and the knife in his hand, and the two of them went on together.
22:6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac
his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of
them together.
22:7 이삭이 그 아비 아브라함에게 말하여 가로되 내 아버지여 하니 그가 가로되
내 아들아 내가 여기 있노라 이삭이 가로되 불과 나무는 있거니와 번제할 어린 양은
어디 있나이까
22:7 Then Isaac said to Abraham, My father; and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said,
We have wood and fire here, but where is the lamb for the burned offering?
22:7 And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he
said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where
is the lamb for a burnt offering?
22:8 아브라함이 가로되 아들아 번제할 어린 양은 하나님이 자기를 위하여 친히
준비하시리라 하고 두 사람이 함께 나아가서
22:8 And Abraham said, God himself will give the lamb for the burned offering: so they
went on together.
22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt
offering: so they went both of them together.
22:9 하나님이 그에게 지시하신 곳에 이른지라 이에 아브라함이 그 곳에 단을 쌓고
나무를 벌여 놓고 그 아들 이삭을 결박하여 단 나무 위에 놓고
22:9 And they came to the place of which God had given him knowledge; and there Abraham
made the altar and put the wood in place on it, and having made tight the bands
round Isaac his son, he put him on the wood on the altar.
22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built
an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid
him on the altar upon the wood.
22:10 손을 내밀어 칼을 잡고 그 아들을 잡으려 하더니
22:10 And stretching out his hand, Abraham took the knife to put his son to death.
22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his
son.
22:11 여호와의 사자가 하늘에서부터 그를 불러 가라사대 아브라함아 아브라함아
하시는지라 아브라함이 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 하매
22:11 But the voice of the angel of the Lord came from heaven, saying, Abraham, Abraham:
and he said, Here am I.
22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said,
Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
22:12 사자가 가라사대 그 아이에게 네 손을 대지 말라 아무 일도 그에게 하지
말라 네가 네 아들 네 독자라도 내게 아끼지 아니하였으니 내가 이제야 네가 하나님을
경외하는 줄을 아노라
22:12 And he said, Let not your hand be stretched out against the boy to do anything to
him; for now I am certain that the fear of God is in your heart, because you have
not kept back your son, your only son, from me.
22:12 And he said, Lay not yours hand upon the lad, neither do you any thing
unto him: for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your
son, yours only son from me.
22:13 아브라함이 눈을 들어 살펴본즉 한 수양이 뒤에 있는데 뿔이 수풀에 걸렸는지라
아브라함이 가서 그 수양을 가져다가 아들을 대신하여 번제로 드렸더라
22:13 And lifting up his eyes, Abraham saw a sheep fixed by its horns in the brushwood:
and Abraham took the sheep and made a burned offering of it in place of his son.
22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a
ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and
offered him up for a burnt offering in the position of his son.
22:14 아브라함이 그 땅 이름을 여호와이레라 하였으므로 오늘까지 사람들이 이르기를
여호와의 산에서 준비되리라 하더라
22:14 And Abraham gave that place the name Yahweh-yireh: as it is said to this day, In
the mountain the Lord is seen.
22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said
to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
22:15 여호와의 사자가 하늘에서부터 두 번째 아브라함을 불러
22:15 And the voice of the angel of the Lord came to Abraham a second time from heaven,
22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second
time,
22:16 가라사대 여호와께서 이르시기를 내가 나를 가리켜 맹세하노니 네가 이같이
행하여 네 아들 네 독자를 아끼지 아니하였은즉
22:16 Saying, I have taken an oath by my name, says the Lord, because you have done this
and have not kept back from me your dearly loved only son,
22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, says the LORD, for because you have
done this thing, and have not withheld your son, yours only son:
22:17 내가 네게 큰 복을 주고 네 씨로 크게 성하여 하늘의 별과 같고 바닷가의
모래와 같게 하리니 네 씨가 그 대적의 문을 얻으리라
22:17 That I will certainly give you my blessing, and your seed will be increased like
the stars of heaven and the sand by the seaside; your seed will take the land of
those who are against them;
22:17 That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply
your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea
shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
22:18 또 네 씨로 말미암아 천하 만민이 복을 얻으리니 이는 네가 나의 말을 준행하였음이니라
하셨다 하니라
22:18 And your seed will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth, because you have
done what I gave you orders to do.
22:18 And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because
you have obeyed my voice.
22:19 이에 아브라함이 그 사환에게로 돌아와서 함께 떠나 브엘세바에 이르러
거기 거하였더라
22:19 Then Abraham went back to his young men and they went together to Beer-sheba, the
place where Abraham was living.
22:19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together
to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
22:20 이 일 후에 혹이 아브라함에게 고하여 이르기를 밀가가 그대의 동생 나홀에게
자녀를 낳았다 하였더라
22:20 After these things, Abraham had news that Milcah, the wife of his brother Nahor,
had given birth to children;
22:20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying,
Behold, Milcah, she has also born children unto your brother Nahor;
22:21 그 맏아들은 우스요 우스의 동생은 부스와 아람의 아비 그무엘과
22:21 Uz the oldest, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel, the father of Aram,
22:21 Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22:22 게셋과 하소와 빌다스와 이들랍과 브두엘이라
22:22 And Chesed and Hazo and Pildash and Jidlaph and Bethuel.
22:22 And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
22:23 이 여덟 사람은 아브라함의 동생 나홀의 처 밀가의 소생이며 브두엘은 리브가를
낳았고
22:23 Bethuel was the father of Rebekah: these eight were the children of Milcah and Nahor,
Abraham's brother.
22:23 And Bethuel brings forth Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor,
Abraham's brother.
22:24 나홀의 첩 르우마라 하는 자도 데바와 가함과 다하스와 마아가를 낳았더라
22:24 And his servant Reumah gave birth to Tebah and Gaham and Tahash and Maacah.
22:24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and
Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.
23:1 사라가 일백 이십 칠 세를 살았으니 이것이 곧 사라의 향년이라
23:1 Now the years of Sarah's life were a hundred and twenty-seven.
23:1 And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were
the years of the life of Sarah.
23:2 사라가 가나안 땅 헤브론 곧 기럇아르바에서 죽으매 아브라함이 들어가서
사라를 위하여 슬퍼하며 애통하다가
23:2 And Sarah's death took place in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan:
and Abraham went into his house, weeping and sorrowing for Sarah.
23:2 And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan:
and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
23:3 그 시체 앞에서 일어나 나가서 헷 족속에게 말하여 가로되
23:3 And Abraham came from his dead and said to the children of Heth,
23:3 And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spoke unto the sons of
Heth, saying,
23:4 나는 당신들 중에 나그네요 우거한 자니 청컨대 당신들 중에서 내게 매장지를
주어 소유를 삼아 나로 내 죽은 자를 내어 장사하게 하시오
23:4 I am living among you as one from a strange country: give me some land here as my
property, so that I may put my dead to rest.
23:4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a
buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
23:5 헷 족속이 아브라함에게 대답하여 가로되
23:5 And in answer the children of Heth said to Abraham,
23:5 And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,
23:6 내 주여 들으소서 당신은 우리 중 하나님의 방백이시니 우리 묘실 중에서
좋은 것을 택하여 당신의 죽은 자를 장사하소서 우리 중에서 자기 묘실에 당신의
죽은 자 장사함을 금할 자가 없으리이다
23:6 My lord, truly you are a great chief among us; take the best of our resting-places
for your dead; not one of us will keep back from you a place where you may put your
dead to rest.
23:6 Hear us, my lord: you are a mighty prince among us: in the choice of
our sepulchers bury your dead; none of us shall withhold from you his tomb,
but that you may bury your dead.
23:7 아브라함이 일어나 그 땅 거민 헷 족속을 향하여 몸을 굽히고
23:7 And Abraham got up and gave honour to the children of Heth, the people of that land.
23:7 And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even
to the children of Heth.
23:8 그들에게 말하여 가로되 나로 나의 죽은 자를 내어 장사하게 하는 일이 당신들의
뜻일진대 내 말을 듣고 나를 위하여 소할의 아들 에브론에게 구하여
23:8 And he said to them, If you will let me put my dead to rest here, make a request
for me to Ephron, the son of Zohar,
23:8 And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should
bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and implore for me to Ephron the son
of Zohar,
23:9 그로 그 밭머리에 있는 막벨라 굴을 내게 주게 하되 준가를 받고 그 굴을
내게 주어서 당신들 중에 내 소유 매장지가 되게 하기를 원하노라
23:9 That he will give me the hollow in the rock named Machpelah, which is his property
at the end of his field; let him give it to me for its full price as a resting-place
for my dead among you.
23:9 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in
the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for
a possession of a buryingplace among you.
23:10 때에 에브론이 헷 족속 중에 앉았더니 그가 헷 족속 곧 성문에 들어온 모든
자의 듣는데 아브라함에게 대답하여 가로되
23:10 Now Ephron was seated among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite gave Abraham
his answer in the hearing of the children of Heth, and of all those who came into
his town, saying,
23:10 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite
answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went
in at the gate of his city, saying,
23:11 내 주여 그리 마시고 내 말을 들으소서 내가 그 밭을 당신께 드리고 그
속의 굴도 내가 당신께 드리되 내가 내 동족 앞에서 당신께 드리오니 당신의 죽은
자를 장사하소서
23:11 No, my lord, I will give you the field with the hollow in the rock; before all the
children of my people will I give it to you for a resting-place for your dead.
23:11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I you, and the cave that is therein,
I give it you; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it you: bury
your dead.
23:12 아브라함이 이에 그 땅 백성을 대하여 몸을 굽히고
23:12 And Abraham went down on his face before the people of the land.
23:12 And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.
23:13 그 땅 백성의 듣는데 에브론에게 말하여 가로되 당신이 합당히 여기면 청컨대
내 말을 들으시오 내가 그 밭값을 당신에게 주리니 당신은 내게서 받으시오 내가
나의 죽은 자를 거기 장사하겠노라
23:13 And Abraham said to Ephron, in the hearing of the people of the land, If only you
will give ear to me, I will give you the price of the field; take it, and let me
put my dead to rest there.
23:13 And he spoke unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land,
saying, But if you will give it, I pray you, hear me: I will give you money
for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.
23:14 에브론이 아브라함에게 대답하여 가로되
23:14 So Ephron said to Abraham,
23:14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,
23:15 내 주여 내게 들으소서 땅 값은 은 사백 세겔이나 나와 당신 사이에 어찌
교계하리이까 당신의 죽은 자를 장사하소서
23:15 My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is
that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there.
23:15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of
silver; what is that between me and you? bury therefore your dead.
23:16 아브라함이 에브론의 말을 좇아 에브론이 헷 족속의 듣는 데서 말한 대로
상고의 통용하는 은 사백 세겔을 달아 에브론에게 주었더니
23:16 And Abraham took note of the price fixed by Ephron in the hearing of the children
of Heth, and gave him four hundred shekels in current money.
23:16 And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the
silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred
shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.
23:17 마므레 앞 막벨라에 있는 에브론의 밭을 바꾸어 그 속의 굴과 그 사방에
둘린 수목을 다
23:17 So Ephron's field at Machpelah near Mamre, with the hollow in the rock and all the
trees in the field and round it,
23:17 And the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre,
the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the
field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure
23:18 성문에 들어온 헷 족속 앞에서 아브라함의 소유로 정한지라
23:18 Became the property of Abraham before the eyes of the children of Heth and of all
who came into the town.
23:18 Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth,
before all that went in at the gate of his city.
23:19 그 후에 아브라함이 그 아내 사라를 가나안 땅 마므레 앞 막벨라 밭 굴에
장사하였더라{마므레는 곧 헤브론이라}
23:19 Then Abraham put Sarah his wife to rest in the hollow rock in the field of Machpelah
near Mamre, that is, Hebron in the land of Canaan.
23:19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field
of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.
23:20 이와 같이 그 밭과 그 속의 굴을 헷 족속이 아브라함 소유 매장지로 정하였더라
23:20 And the field and the hollow rock were handed over to Abraham as his property by
the children of Heth.
23:20 And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham
for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.
24:1 아브라함이 나이 많아 늙었고 여호와께서 그의 범사에 복을 주셨더라
24:1 Now Abraham was old and far on in years: and the Lord had given him everything in
full measure.
24:1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed
Abraham in all things.
24:2 아브라함이 자기 집 모든 소유를 맡은 늙은 종에게 이르되 청컨대 네 손을
내 환도뼈 밑에 넣으라
24:2 And Abraham said to his chief servant, the manager of all his property, Come now,
put your hand under my leg:
24:2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over
all that he had, Put, I pray you, your hand under my thigh:
24:3 내가 너로 하늘의 하나님, 땅의 하나님이신 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하게 하노니
너는 나의 거하는 이 지방 가나안 족속의 딸 중에서 내 아들을 위하여 아내를 택하지
말고
24:3 And take an oath by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you
will not get a wife for my son Isaac from the daughters of the Canaanites among
whom I am living;
24:3 And I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God
of the earth, that you shall not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of
the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
24:4 내 고향 내 족속에게로 가서 내 아들 이삭을 위하여 아내를 택하라
24:4 But that you will go into my country and to my relations and get a wife there for
my son Isaac.
24:4 But you shall go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife
unto my son Isaac.
24:5 종이 가로되 여자가 나를 좇아 이 땅으로 오고자 아니하거든 내가 주인의
아들을 주인의 나오신 땅으로 인도하여 돌아가리이까
24:5 And the servant said, If by chance the woman will not come with me into this land,
am I to take your son back again to the land from which you came?
24:5 And the servant said unto him, Possibly the woman will not be willing
to follow me unto this land: must I essentially bring your son again unto the
land from whence you came?
24:6 아브라함이 그에게 이르되 삼가 내 아들을 그리로 데리고 돌아가지 말라
24:6 And Abraham said, Take care that you do not let my son go back to that land.
24:6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware you that you bring not my son thither
again.
24:7 하늘의 하나님 여호와께서 나를 내 아버지의 집과 내 본토에서 떠나게 하시고
내게 말씀하시며 내게 맹세하여 이르시기를 이 땅을 네 씨에게 주리라 하셨으니 그가
그 사자를 네 앞서 보내실지라 네가 거기서 내 아들을 위하여 아내를 택할지니라
24:7 The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of
my birth, and made an oath to me, saying, To your seed I will give this land: he
will send his angel before you and give you a wife for my son in that land.
24:7 The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from
the land of my kindred, and which spoke unto me, and that swore unto me, saying,
Unto your seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before you, and
you shall take a wife unto my son from thence.
24:8 만일 여자가 너를 좇아오고자 아니하면 나의 이 맹세가 너와 상관이 없나니
오직 내 아들을 데리고 그리로 가지 말지니라
24:8 And if the woman will not come with you, then you are free from this oath; only
do not take my son back there.
24:8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow you, then you shall be
clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
24:9 종이 이에 주인 아브라함의 환도뼈 아래 손을 넣고 이 일에 대하여 그에게
맹세하였더라
24:9 And the servant put his hand under Abraham's leg, and gave him his oath about this
thing.
24:9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master,
and swore to him concerning that matter.
24:10 ○ 이에 종이 그 주인의 약대 중 열 필을 취하고 떠났는데 곧 그 주인의
모든 좋은 것을 가지고 떠나 메소보다미아로 가서 나홀의 성에 이르러
24:10 And the servant took ten of his master's camels, and all sorts of good things of
his master's, and went to Mesopotamia, to the town of Nahor.
24:10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed;
for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to
Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.
24:11 그 약대를 성 밖 우물 곁에 꿇렸으니 저녁 때라 여인들이 물을 길러 나올
때이었더라
24:11 And he made the camels take their rest outside the town by the water-spring in the
evening, at the time when the women came to get water.
24:11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of
water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.
24:12 그가 가로되 우리 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와여 원컨대 오늘날 나로
순적히 만나게 하사 나의 주인 아브라함에게 은혜를 베푸시옵소서
24:12 And he said, O Lord, the God of my master Abraham, let me do well in what I have
undertaken this day, and give your mercy to my master Abraham.
24:12 And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray you, send me good
speed this day, and show kindness unto my master Abraham.
24:13 성 중 사람의 딸들이 물 길러 나오겠사오니 내가 우물 곁에 섰다가
24:13 See, I am waiting here by the water-spring; and the daughters of the town are coming
out to get water:
24:13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the
men of the city come out to draw water:
24:14 한 소녀에게 이르기를 청컨대 너는 물 항아리를 기울여 나로 마시게 하라
하리니 그의 대답이 마시라 내가 당신의 약대에게도 마시우리라 하면 그는 주께서
주의 종 이삭을 위하여 정하신 자라 이로 인하여 주께서 나의 주인에게 은혜 베푸심을
내가 알겠나이다
24:14 Now, may the girl to whom I say, Let down your vessel and give me a drink, and who
says in answer, Here is a drink for you and let me give water to your camels: may
she be the one marked out by you for your servant Isaac: so may I be certain that
you have been good to my master Abraham.
24:14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down
your pitcher, I pray you, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I
will give your camels drink also: let the same be she that you have appointed
for your servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that you have showed kindness
unto my master.
24:15 말을 마치지 못하여서 리브가가 물 항아리를 어깨에 메고 나오니 그는 아브라함의
동생 나홀의 아내 밀가의 아들 브두엘의 소생이라
24:15 And even before his words were ended, Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel, the son
of Milcah, who was the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her water-vessel
on her arm.
24:15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah
came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's
brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.
24:16 그 소녀는 보기에 심히 아리땁고 지금까지 남자가 가까이 하지 아니한 처녀더라
그가 우물에 내려가서 물을 그 물 항아리에 채워가지고 올라오는지라
24:16 She was a very beautiful girl, a virgin, who had never been touched by a man: and
she went down to the spring to get water in her vessel.
24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any
man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came
up.
24:17 종이 마주 달려가서 가로되 청컨대 네 물 항아리의 물을 내게 조금 마시우라
24:17 And the servant came running to her and said, Give me a little water from your vessel.
24:17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray you, drink
a little water of your pitcher.
24:18 그가 가로되 주여 마시소서 하며 급히 그 물 항아리를 손에 내려 마시게
하고
24:18 And she said, Take a drink, my lord: and quickly letting down her vessel onto her
hand, she gave him a drink.
24:18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher
upon her hand, and gave him drink.
24:19 마시우기를 다하고 가로되 당신의 약대도 위하여 물을 길어 그것들로 배불리
마시게 하리이다 하고
24:19 And having done so, she said, I will get water for your camels till they have had
enough.
24:19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water
for your camels also, until they have done drinking.
24:20 급히 물 항아리의 물을 구유에 붓고 다시 길으려고 우물로 달려가서 모든
약대를 위하여 긷는지라
24:20 And after putting the water from her vessel into the animals' drinking-place, she
went quickly back to the spring and got water for all the camels.
24:20 And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the gutter, and ran again
unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.
24:21 그 사람이 그를 묵묵히 주목하며 여호와께서 과연 평탄한 길을 주신 여부를
알고자 하더니
24:21 And the man, looking at her, said nothing, waiting to see if the Lord had given
his journey a good outcome.
24:21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to know whether the LORD
had made his journey prosperous or not.
24:22 약대가 마시기를 다하매 그가 반 세겔 중 금고리 한 개와 열 세겔 중 금 손목고리
한 쌍을 그에게 주며
24:22 And when the camels had had enough, the man took a gold nose-ring, half a shekel
in weight, and two ornaments for her arms of ten shekels weight of gold;
24:22 And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man
took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands
of ten shekels weight of gold;
24:23 가로되 네가 뉘 딸이냐 청컨대 내게 고하라 네 부친의 집에 우리 유숙할
곳이 있느냐
24:23 And said to her, Whose daughter are you? is there room in your father's house for
us?
24:23 And said, Whose daughter are you? tell me, I pray you: is there room
in your father's house for us to lodge in?
24:24 그 여자가 그에게 이르되 나는 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은 아들 브두엘의 딸이니이다
24:24 And she said to him, I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, Nahor's wife.
24:24 And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah,
which she bare unto Nahor.
24:25 또 가로되 우리에게 짚과 보리가 족하며 유숙할 곳도 있나이다
24:25 And she said, We have a great store of dry grass and cattle-food, and there is room
for you.
24:25 She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and animal food enough,
and room to lodge in.
24:26 이에 그 사람이 머리를 숙여 여호와께 경배하고
24:26 And with bent head the man gave worship to the Lord;
24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
24:27 가로되 나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와를 찬송하나이다 나의 주인에게
주의 인자와 성실을 끊이지 아니하셨사오며 여호와께서 길에서 나를 인도하사 내
주인의 동생 집에 이르게 하셨나이다 하니라
24:27 And said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has given a sign
that he is good and true to my master, by guiding me straight to the house of my
master's family.
24:27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who has
not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way,
the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.
24:28 ○ 소녀가 달려가서 이 일을 어미 집에 고하였더니
24:28 So the girl went running and took the news of these things to her mother's house
24:28 And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother's house these things.
24:29 리브가에게 오라비가 있어 이름은 라반이라 그가 우물로 달려가 그 사람에게
이르니
24:29 Now Rebekah had a brother named Laban, and he came out quickly to the man at the
water-spring.
24:29 And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out
unto the man, unto the well.
24:30 그가 그 누이의 고리와 그 손의 손목고리를 보고 또 그 누이 리브가가 그
사람이 자기에게 이같이 말하더라 함을 듣고 그 사람에게로 나아감이라 때에 그가
우물가 약대 곁에 섰더라
24:30 And when he saw the nose-ring and the ornaments on his sister's hands, and when
she gave him word of what the man had said to her, then he went out to the man who
was waiting with the camels by the water-spring.
24:30 And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his
sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus
spoke the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the
camels at the well.
24:31 라반이 가로되 여호와께 복을 받은 자여 들어오소서 어찌 밖에 섰나이까
내가 방과 약대의 처소를 예비하였나이다
24:31 And he said to him, Come in, you on whom is the blessing of the Lord; why are you
waiting outside? for I have made the house ready for you, and a place for the camels.
24:31 And he said, Come in, you blessed of the LORD; wherefore stand you
without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.
24:32 그 사람이 집으로 들어가매 라반이 약대의 짐을 부리고 짚과 보리를 약대에게
주고 그 사람의 발과 그 종자의 발 씻을 물을 주고
24:32 Then the man came into the house, and Laban took their cords off the camels and
gave them dry grass and food, and he gave to him and the men who were with him water
for washing their feet.
24:32 And the man came into the house: and he unbounded his camels, and gave
straw and animal food for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men's
feet that were with him.
24:33 그 앞에 식물을 베푸니 그 사람이 가로되 내가 내 일을 진술하기 전에는
먹지 아니하겠나이다 라반이 가로되 말하소서
24:33 And meat was put before him, but he said, I will not take food till I have made
my business clear to you. And they said, Do so.
24:33 And there was set food before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat,
until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.
24:34 그가 가로되 나는 아브라함의 종이니이다
24:34 And he said, I am Abraham's servant.
24:34 And he said, I am Abraham's servant.
24:35 여호와께서 나의 주인에게 크게 복을 주어 창성케 하시되 우양과 은금과
노비와 약대와 나귀를 그에게 주셨고
24:35 The Lord has given my master every blessing, and he has become great: he has given
him flocks and herds and silver and gold, and men-servants and women-servants and
camels and asses.
24:35 And the LORD has blessed my master greatly; and he is become great:
and he has given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and male servants,
and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
24:36 나의 주인의 부인 사라가 노년에 나의 주인에게 아들을 낳으매 주인이 그
모든 소유를 그 아들에게 주었나이다
24:36 And when Sarah, my master's wife, was old, she gave birth to a son, to whom he has
given all he has.
24:36 And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old:
and unto him has he given all that he has.
24:37 나의 주인이 나로 맹세하게 하여 가로되 너는 내 아들을 위하여 나 사는
땅 가나안 족속의 딸 중에서 아내를 택하지 말고
24:37 And my master made me take an oath, saying, Do not get a wife for my son from the
daughters of the Canaanites among whom I am living;
24:37 And my master made me swear, saying, You shall not take a wife to my
son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:
24:38 내 아비 집 내 족속에게로 가서 내 아들을 위하여 아내를 택하라 하시기로
24:38 But go to my father's house and to my relations for a wife for my son.
24:38 But you shall go unto my father's house, and to my kindred, and take
a wife unto my son.
24:39 내가 내 주인에게 말씀하되 혹 여자가 나를 좇지 아니하면 어찌하리이까
한즉
24:39 And I said to my master, What if the woman will not come with me?
24:39 And I said unto my master, Possibly the woman will not follow me.
24:40 주인이 내게 이르되 나의 섬기는 여호와께서 그 사자를 너와 함께 보내어
네게 평탄한 길을 주시리니 너는 내 족속 중 내 아비 집에서 내 아들을 위하여 아내를
택할 것이니라
24:40 And he said, The Lord, whom I have ever kept before me, will send his angel with
you, who will make it possible for you to get a wife for my son from my relations
and my father's house;
24:40 And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel
with you, and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son of my kindred,
and of my father's house:
24:41 네가 내 족속에게 이를 때에는 네가 내 맹세와 상관이 없으리라 설혹 그들이
네게 주지 아니할지라도 네가 내 맹세와 상관이 없으리라 하시기로
24:41 And you will be free from your oath to me when you come to my people; and if they
will not give her to you, you will be free from your oath.
24:41 Then shall you be clear from this my oath, when you come to my kindred;
and if they give not you one, you shall be clear from my oath.
24:42 내가 오늘 우물에 이르러 말씀하기를 나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와여
만일 나의 행하는 길에 형통함을 주실진대
24:42 And I came today to the water-spring, and I said, O Lord, the God of my master Abraham,
if it is your purpose to give a good outcome to my journey,
24:42 And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master
Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go:
24:43 내가 이 우물 곁에 섰다가 청년 여자가 물을 길러 오거든 내가 그에게 청하기를
너는 물 항아리의 물을 내게 조금 마시우라 하여
24:43 Let it come about that, while I am waiting here by the water-spring, if a girl comes
to get water and I say to her, Give me a little water from your vessel, and she
says,
24:43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that
when the virgin comes forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray
you, a little water of your pitcher to drink;
24:44 그의 대답이 당신은 마시라 내가 또 당신의 약대를 위하여도 길으리라 하면
그 여자는 여호와께서 나의 주인의 아들을 위하여 정하여 주신 자가 되리이다 하며
24:44 Take a drink, and I will get water for your camels; let her be the woman marked
out by the Lord for my master's son.
24:44 And she say to me, Both drink you, and I will also draw for your camels:
let the same be the woman whom the LORD has appointed out for my master's son.
24:45 내가 묵도하기를 마치지 못하여 리브가가 물 항아리를 어깨에 메고 나와서
우물로 내려와 긷기로 내가 그에게 이르기를 청컨대 내게 마시우라 한즉
24:45 And even while I was saying this to myself, Rebekah came out with her vessel on
her arm; and she went down to the spring to get water; and I said to her, Give me
a drink.
24:45 And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came
forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and
drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray you.
24:46 그가 급히 물 항아리를 어깨에서 내리며 가로되 마시라 내가 당신의 약대에게도
마시우리라 하기로 내가 마시매 그가 또 약대에게도 마시운지라
24:46 And straight away she took down her vessel from her arm, and said, Take a drink,
and I will get water for your camels.
24:46 And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and
said, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also: so I drank, and she made
the camels drink also.
24:47 내가 그에게 묻기를 네가 뉘 딸이뇨 한즉 가로되 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은
브두엘의 딸이라 하기로 내가 고리를 그 코에 꿰고 손목고리를 그 손에 끼우고
24:47 And questioning her, I said, Whose daughter are you? And she said, The daughter
of Bethuel, the son of Nahor, and Milcah his wife. Then I put the ring on her nose
and the ornaments on her hands.
24:47 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter are you? And she said, the
daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring
upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.
24:48 나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와께서 나를 바른 길로 인도하사 나의
주인의 동생의 딸을 그 아들을 위하여 택하게 하셨으므로 내가 머리를 숙여 그에게
경배하고 찬송하였나이다
24:48 And with bent head I gave worship and praise to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham,
by whom I had been guided in the right way, to get the daughter of my master's brother
for his son.
24:48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the
LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my
master's brother's daughter unto his son.
24:49 이제 당신들이 인자와 진실로 나의 주인을 대접하려거든 내게 고하시고
그렇지 않을지라도 내게 고하여 나로 좌우간 행하게 하소서
24:49 And now, say if you will do what is good and right for my master or not, in order
that it may be clear to me what I have to do.
24:49 And now if all of you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell
me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.
24:50 ○ 라반과 브두엘이 대답하여 가로되 이 일이 여호와께로 말미암았으니
우리는 가부를 말할 수 없노라
24:50 Then Laban and Bethuel said in answer, This is the Lord's doing: it is not for us
to say Yes or No to you.
24:50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceeds from the
LORD: we cannot speak unto you bad or good.
24:51 리브가가 그대 앞에 있으니 데리고 가서 여호와의 명대로 그로 그대의 주인의
아들의 아내가 되게 하라
24:51 See, here is Rebekah: take her and go, and let her be your master's son's wife,
as the Lord has said.
24:51 Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her, and go, and let her be your
master's son's wife, as the LORD has spoken.
24:52 아브라함의 종이 그들의 말을 듣고 땅에 엎드리어 여호와께 절하고
24:52 And at these words, Abraham's servant went down on his face and gave praise to the
Lord.
24:52 And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words,
he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.
24:53 은금 패물과 의복을 꺼내어 리브가에게 주고 그 오라비와 어미에게도 보물을
주니라
24:53 Then he took jewels of silver and jewels of gold and fair robes and gave them to
Rebekah: and he gave things of value to her mother and her brother.
24:53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold,
and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her
mother precious things.
24:54 이에 그들 곧 종과 종자들이 먹고 마시고 유숙하고 아침에 일어나서 그가
가로되 나를 보내어 내 주인에게로 돌아가게 하소서
24:54 Then he and the men who were with him had food and drink, and took their rest there
that night; and in the morning he got up, and said, Let me now go back to my master.
24:54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and
tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away
unto my master.
24:55 리브가의 오라비와 그 어미가 가로되 소녀로 며칠을 적어도 열흘을 우리와
함께 있게 하라 그 후에 그가 갈 것이니라
24:55 But her brother and her mother said, Let the girl be with us a week or ten days,
and then she may go.
24:55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a
few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.
24:56 그 사람이 그들에게 이르되 나를 만류치 마소서 여호와께서 내게 형통한
길을 주셨으니 나를 보내어 내 주인에게로 돌아가게 하소서
24:56 And he said, Do not keep me; the Lord has given a good outcome to my journey; let
me now go back to my master.
24:56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD has prospered
my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
24:57 그들이 가로되 우리가 소녀를 불러 그에게 물으리라 하고
24:57 And they said, We will send for the girl, and let her make the decision.
24:57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
24:58 리브가를 불러 그에게 이르되 네가 이 사람과 함께 가려느냐 그가 대답하되
가겠나이다
24:58 And they sent for Rebekah and said to her, Are you ready to go with this man? And
she said, I am ready.
24:58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Will you go with this man?
And she said, I will go.
24:59 그들이 그 누이 리브가와 그의 유모와 아브라함의 종과 종자들을 보내며
24:59 So they sent their sister Rebekah and her servant with Abraham's servant and his
men.
24:59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's
servant, and his men.
24:60 리브가에게 축복하여 가로되 우리 누이여 너는 천만 인의 어미가 될지어다
네 씨로 그 원수의 성문을 얻게 할지어다
24:60 And they gave Rebekah their blessing, saying, O sister, may you be the mother of
thousands and ten thousands; and may your seed overcome all those who make war against
them.
24:60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, You are our sister, be
you the mother of thousands of millions, and let your seed possess the gate
of those which hate them.
24:61 ○ 리브가가 일어나 비자와 함께 약대를 타고 그 사람을 따라가니 종이
리브가를 데리고 가니라
24:61 So Rebekah and her servant-women went with the man, seated on the camels; and so
the servant took Rebekah and went on his way.
24:61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels,
and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
24:62 때에 이삭이 브엘 라해로이에서 왔으니 그가 남방에 거하였었음이라
24:62 Now Isaac had come through the waste land to Beer-lahai-roi; for he was living in
the South.
24:62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the
south country.
24:63 이삭이 저물 때에 들에 나가 묵상하다가 눈을 들어 보매 약대들이 오더라
24:63 And when the evening was near, he went wandering out into the fields, and lifting
up his eyes he saw camels coming.
24:63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the evening: and he
lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
24:64 리브가가 눈을 들어 이삭을 바라보고 약대에서 내려
24:64 And when Rebekah, looking up, saw Isaac, she got down from her camel,
24:64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted
off the camel.
24:65 종에게 말하되 들에서 배회하다가 우리에게로 마주 오는 자가 누구뇨 종이
가로되 이는 내 주인이니이다 리브가가 면박을 취하여 스스로 가리우더라
24:65 And said to the servant, Who is that man coming to us through the field? And the
servant said, It is my master: then she took her veil, covering her face with it.
24:65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walks in the
field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took
a vail, and covered herself.
24:66 종이 그 행한 일을 다 이삭에게 고하매
24:66 Then the servant gave Isaac the story of all he had done.
24:66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
24:67 이삭이 리브가를 인도하여 모친 사라의 장막으로 들이고 그를 취하여 아내를
삼고 사랑하였으니 이삭이 모친 상사 후에 위로를 얻었더라
24:67 And Isaac took Rebekah into his tent and she became his wife; and in his love for
her, Isaac was comforted after his father's death.
24:67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah,
and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his
mother's death.
25:1 아브라함이 후처를 취하였으니 그 이름은 그두라라
25:1 And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.
25:1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
25:2 그가 시므란과 욕산과 므단과 미디안과 이스박과 수아를 낳았고
25:2 She became the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and
Shuah.
25:2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak,
and Shuah.
25:3 욕산과 스바와 드단을 낳았으며 드단의 자손은 앗수르 족속과 르두시 족속과
르움미 족속이며
25:3 And Jokshan became the father of Sheba and Dedan. And from Dedan came the Asshurim
and Letushim and Leummim.
25:3 And Jokshan brings forth Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were
Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
25:4 미디안의 아들은 에바와 에벨과 하녹과 아비다와 엘다아니 다 그두라의 자손이었더라
25:4 And from Midian came Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these
were the offspring of Keturah.
25:4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and
Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
25:5 아브라함이 이삭에게 자기 모든 소유를 주었고
25:5 Now Abraham gave all his property to Isaac;
25:5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
25:6 자기 서자들에게도 재물을 주어 자기 생전에 그들로 자기 아들 이삭을 떠나
동방 곧 동국으로 가게 하였더라
25:6 But to the sons of his other women he gave offerings, and sent them away, while
he was still living, into the east country.
25:6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave
gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward,
unto the east country.
25:7 아브라함의 향년이 일백 칠십 오 세라
25:7 Now the years of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five.
25:7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived,
an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
25:8 그가 수가 높고 나이 많아 기운이 진하여 죽어 자기 열조에게로 돌아가매
25:8 And Abraham came to his death, an old man, full of years; and he was put to rest
with his people.
25:8 Then Abraham gave up the spirit, and died in a good old age, an old
man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
25:9 그 아들 이삭과 이스마엘이 그를 마므레 앞 헷 족속 소할의 아들 에브론의
밭에 있는 막벨라 굴에 장사하였으니
25:9 And Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, put him to rest in the hollow rock of Machpelah,
in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, near Mamre;
25:9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah,
in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
25:10 이것은 아브라함이 헷 족속에게서 산 밭이라 아브라함과 그 아내 사라가
거기 장사되니라
25:10 The same field which Abraham got from the children of Heth: there Abraham was put
to rest with Sarah, his wife.
25:10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham
buried, and Sarah his wife.
25:11 아브라함이 죽은 후에 하나님이 그 아들 이삭에게 복을 주셨고 이삭은 브엘
라해로이 근처에 거하였더라
25:11 Now after the death of Abraham, the blessing of God was with Isaac, his son.
25:11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his
son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.
25:12 ○ 사라의 여종 애굽인 하갈이 아브라함에게 낳은 아들 이스마엘의 후예는
이러하고
25:12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, the son of Abraham, whose mother was Hagar
the Egyptian, the servant of Sarah:
25:12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar
the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
25:13 이스마엘의 아들들의 이름은 그 이름과 그 세대대로 이와 같으니라 이스마엘의

25:13 These are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their generations: Ishmael's first

to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel,
and Mibsam,

25:16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names in their towns and their
tent-circles; twelve chiefs with their peoples.

towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
25:17 이스마엘은 향년이 일백 삼십 칠 세에 기운이 진하여 죽어 자기 열조에게로
돌아갔고
25:17 And the years of Ishmael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven: and he came to
his end, and was put to rest with his people.
25:17 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty
and seven years: and he gave up the spirit and died; and was gathered unto his
people.
25:18 그 자손들은 하윌라에서부터 앗수르로 통하는 애굽 앞 술까지 이르러 그
모든 형제의 맞은편에 거하였더라
25:18 And their country was from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt: they took their
place to the east of all their brothers.
25:18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as you
go toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
25:19 ○ 아브라함의 아들 이삭의 후예는 이러하니라 아브라함이 이삭을 낳았고
25:19 Now these are the generations of Abraham's son Isaac:
25:19 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham brings
forth Isaac:
25:20 이삭은 사십 세에 리브가를 취하여 아내를 삼았으니 리브가는 밧단 아람의
아람 족속 중 브두엘의 딸이요 아람 족속 중 라반의 누이었더라
25:20 Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean
of Paddan-aram, and the sister of Laban the Aramaean, to be his wife.
25:20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter
of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
25:21 이삭이 그 아내가 잉태하지 못하므로 그를 위하여 여호와께 간구하매 여호와께서
그 간구를 들으셨으므로 그 아내 리브가가 잉태하였더니
25:21 Isaac made prayer to the Lord for his wife because she had no children; and the
Lord gave ear to his prayer, and Rebekah became with child.
25:21 And Isaac implored the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and
the LORD was implored of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
25:22 아이들이 그의 태 속에서 서로 싸우는지라 그가 가로되 이같으면 내가 어찌할꼬
하고 가서 여호와께 묻자온대
25:22 And the children were fighting together inside her, and she said, If it is to be
so, why am I like this? So she went to put her question to the Lord.
25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it
be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
25:23 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 두 국민이 네 태중에 있구나 두 민족이
네 복중에서부터 나누이리라 이 족속이 저 족속보다 강하겠고 큰 자는 어린 자를
섬기리라 하셨더라
25:23 And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your body, and two peoples will come
to birth from you: the one will be stronger than the other, and the older will be
the servant of the younger.
25:23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in your womb, and two manner
of people shall be separated from your bowels; and the one people shall be stronger
than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
25:24 그 해산 기한이 찬즉 태에 쌍동이가 있었는데
25:24 And when the time came for her to give birth, there were two children in her body.
25:24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were
twins in her womb.
25:25 먼저 나온 자는 붉고 전신이 갖옷 같아서 이름을 에서라 하였고
25:25 And the first came out red from head to foot like a robe of hair, and they gave
him the name of Esau.
25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they
called his name Esau.
25:26 후에 나온 아우는 손으로 에서의 발꿈치를 잡았으므로 그 이름을 야곱이라
하였으며 리브가가 그들을 낳을 때에 이삭이 육십 세이었더라
25:26 And after him, his brother came out, gripping Esau's foot; and he was named Jacob:
Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.
25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's
heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when
she bare them.
25:27 ○ 그 아이들이 장성하매 에서는 익숙한 사냥군인고로 들사람이 되고 야곱은
종용한 사람인고로 장막에 거하니
25:27 And the boys came to full growth; and Esau became a man of the open country, an
expert bowman; but Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.
25:27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field;
and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
25:28 이삭은 에서의 사냥한 고기를 좋아하므로 그를 사랑하고 리브가는 야곱을
사랑하였더라
25:28 Now Isaac's love was for Esau, because Esau's meat was greatly to his taste: but
Rebekah had more love for Jacob.
25:28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah
loved Jacob.
25:29 야곱이 죽을 쑤었더니 에서가 들에서부터 돌아와서 심히 곤비하여
25:29 And one day Jacob was cooking some soup when Esau came in from the fields in great
need of food;
25:29 And Jacob cook pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
25:30 야곱에게 이르되 내가 곤비하니 그 붉은 것을 나로 먹게 하라 한지라 그러므로
에서의 별명은 에돔이더라
25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Give me a full meal of that red soup, for I am overcome
with need for food: for this reason he was named Edom.
25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray you, with that same red pottage;
for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
25:31 야곱이 가로되 형의 장자의 명분을 오늘날 내게 팔라
25:31 And Jacob said, First of all give me your birthright.
25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day your birthright.
25:32 에서가 가로되 내가 죽게 되었으니 이 장자의 명분이 내게 무엇이 유익하리요
25:32 And Esau said, Truly, I am at the point of death: what profit is the birthright
to me?
25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall
this birthright do to me?
25:33 야곱이 가로되 오늘 내게 맹세하라 에서가 맹세하고 장자의 명분을 야곱에게
판지라
25:33 And Jacob said, First of all give me your oath; and he gave him his oath, handing
over his birthright to Jacob.
25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he swore unto him: and he
sold his birthright unto Jacob.
25:34 야곱이 떡과 팥죽을 에서에게 주매 에서가 먹으며 마시고 일어나서 갔으니
에서가 장자의 명분을 경홀히 여김이었더라
25:34 Then Jacob gave him bread and soup; and he took food and drink and went away, caring
little for his birthright.
25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and
drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
26:1 아브라함 때에 첫 흉년이 들었더니 그 땅에 또 흉년이 들매 이삭이 그랄로
가서 블레셋 왕 아비멜렉에게 이르렀더니
26:1 Then came a time of great need in the land, like that which had been before in the
days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, at Gerar.
26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was
in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines
unto Gerar.
26:2 여호와께서 이삭에게 나타나 가라사대 애굽으로 내려가지 말고 내가 네게
지시하는 땅에 거하라
26:2 And the Lord came to him in a vision and said, Do not go down to Egypt; keep in
the land of which I will give you knowledge:
26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell
in the land which I shall tell you of:
26:3 이 땅에 유하면 내가 너와 함께 있어 네게 복을 주고 내가 이 모든 땅을
너와 네 자손에게 주리라 내가 네 아비 아브라함에게 맹세한 것을 이루어
26:3 Keep in this land, and I will be with you and give you my blessing; for to you and
to your seed will I give all these lands, giving effect to the oath which I made
to your father Abraham;
26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for
unto you, and unto your seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform
the oath which I swore unto Abraham your father;
26:4 네 자손을 하늘의 별과 같이 번성케 하며 이 모든 땅을 네 자손에게 주리니
네 자손을 인하여 천하 만민이 복을 받으리라
26:4 I will make your seed like the stars of heaven in number, and will give them all
these lands, and your seed will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth;
26:4 And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will
give unto your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations
of the earth be blessed;
26:5 이는 아브라함이 내 말을 순종하고 내 명령과 내 계명과 내 율례와 내 법도를
지켰음이니라 하시니라
26:5 Because Abraham gave ear to my voice and kept my words, my rules, my orders, and
my laws.
26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments,
my statutes, and my laws.
26:6 이삭이 그랄에 거하였더니
26:6 So Isaac went on living in Gerar;
26:6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:
26:7 그 곳 사람들이 그 아내를 물으매 그가 말하기를 그는 나의 누이라 하였으니
리브가는 보기에 아리따우므로 그 곳 백성이 리브가로 인하여 자기를 죽일까 하여
그는 나의 아내라 하기를 두려워함이었더라
26:7 And when he was questioned by the men of the place about his wife, he said, She
is my sister; fearing to say, She is my wife; for, he said, the men of the place
may put me to death on account of Rebekah; because she is very beautiful.
26:7 And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is
my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the
place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.
26:8 이삭이 거기 오래 거하였더니 이삭이 그 아내 리브가를 껴안은 것을 블레셋
왕 아비멜렉이 창으로 내다본지라
26:8 And when he had been there for some time, Abimelech, king of the Philistines, looking
through a window, saw Isaac playing with Rebekah his wife.
26:8 And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech
king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac
was sporting with Rebekah his wife.
26:9 이에 아비멜렉이 이삭을 불러 이르되 그가 정녕 네 아내여늘 어찌 네 누이라
하였느냐 이삭이 그에게 대답하되 내 생각에 그를 인하여 내가 죽게 될까 두려워하였음이로라
26:9 And he said to Isaac, It is clear that she is your wife: why then did you say, She
is my sister? And Isaac said, For fear that I might be put to death because of her.
26:9 And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, certainly she is your
wife; and how said you, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I
said, Lest I die for her.
26:10 아비멜렉이 가로되 네가 어찌 우리에게 이렇게 행하였느냐 백성 중 하나가
네 아내와 동침하기 쉬웠을 뻔하였은즉 네가 죄를 우리에게 입혔으리라
26:10 Then Abimelech said, What have you done to us? one of the people might well have
had connection with your wife, and the sin would have been ours.
26:10 And Abimelech said, What is this you have done unto us? one of the
people might lightly have lien with your wife, and you should have brought guiltiness
upon us.
26:11 아비멜렉이 이에 모든 백성에게 명하여 가로되 이 사람이나 그 아내에게
범하는 자는 죽이리라 하였더라
26:11 And Abimelech gave orders to his people that anyone touching Isaac or his wife was
to be put to death.
26:11 And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that touches this
man or his wife shall surely be put to death.
26:12 ○ 이삭이 그 땅에서 농사하여 그 해에 백 배나 얻었고 여호와께서 복을
주시므로
26:12 Now Isaac, planting seed in that land, got in the same year fruit a hundred times
as much, for the blessing of the Lord was on him.
26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold:
and the LORD blessed him.
26:13 그 사람이 창대하고 왕성하여 마침내 거부가 되어
26:13 And his wealth became very great, increasing more and more;
26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became
very great:
26:14 양과 소가 떼를 이루고 노복이 심히 많으므로 블레셋 사람이 그를 시기하여
26:14 For he had great wealth of flocks and herds and great numbers of servants; so that
the Philistines were full of envy.
26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great
store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
26:15 그 아비 아브라함 때에 그 아비의 종들이 판 모든 우물을 막고 흙으로 메웠더라
26:15 Now all the water-holes, which his father's servants had made in the days of Abraham,
had been stopped up with earth by the Philistines.
26:15 For all the wells which his father's servants had dug in the days of
Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
26:16 아비멜렉이 이삭에게 이르되 네가 우리보다 크게 강성한즉 우리를 떠나가라
26:16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, Go away from us, for you are stronger than we are.
26:16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for you are much mightier
than we.
26:17 이삭이 그 곳을 떠나 그랄 골짜기에 장막을 치고 거기 우거하며
26:17 So Isaac went away from there, and put up his tents in the valley of Gerar, making
his living-place there.
26:17 And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar,
and dwelt there.
26:18 그 아비 아브라함 때에 팠던 우물들을 다시 팠으니 이는 아브라함 죽은
후에 블레셋 사람이 그 우물들을 메웠음이라 이삭이 그 우물들의 이름을 그 아비의
부르던 이름으로 불렀더라
26:18 And he made again the water-holes which had been made in the days of Abraham his
father, and which had been stopped up by the Philistines; and he gave them the names
which his father had given them.
26:18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days
of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death
of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had
called them.
26:19 이삭의 종들이 골짜기에 파서 샘 근원을 얻었더니
26:19 Now Isaac's servants made holes in the valley, and came to a spring of flowing water.
26:19 And Isaac's servants dug in the valley, and found there a well of springing
water.
26:20 그랄 목자들이 이삭의 목자와 다투어 가로되 이 물은 우리의 것이라 하매
이삭이 그 다툼을 인하여 그 우물 이름을 에섹이라 하였으며
26:20 But the herdmen of Gerar had a fight with Isaac's herdmen, for they said, The spring
is ours: so he gave the spring the name of Esek, because there was a fight about
it.
26:20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The
water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove
with him.
26:21 또 다른 우물을 팠더니 그들이 또 다투는 고로 그 이름을 싯나라 하였으며
26:21 Then they made another water-hole, and there was a fight about that, so he gave
it the name of Sitnah.
26:21 And they dug another well, and strove for that also: and he called
the name of it Sitnah.
26:22 이삭이 거기서 옮겨 다른 우물을 팠더니 그들이 다투지 아니하였으므로
그 이름을 르호봇이라 하여 가로되 이제는 여호와께서 우리의 장소를 넓게 하셨으니
이 땅에서 우리가 번성하리로다 하였더라
26:22 Then he went away from there, and made another water-hole, about which there was
no fighting: so he gave it the name of Rehoboth, for he said, Now the Lord has made
room for us, and we will have fruit in this land.
26:22 And he removed from thence, and dug another well; and for that they
strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the
LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
26:23 ○ 이삭이 거기서부터 브엘세바로 올라갔더니
26:23 And from there he went on to Beer-sheba.
26:23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba.
26:24 그 밤에 여호와께서 그에게 나타나 가라사대 나는 네 아비 아브라함의 하나님이니
두려워 말라 내 종 아브라함을 위하여 내가 너와 함께 있어 네게 복을 주어 네 자손으로
번성케 하리라 하신지라
26:24 That night the Lord came to him in a vision, and said, I am the God of your father
Abraham: have no fear for I am with you, blessing you, and your seed will be increased
because of my servant Abraham.
26:24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God
of Abraham your father: fear not, for I am with you, and will bless you, and
multiply your seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
26:25 이삭이 그 곳에 단을 쌓아 여호와의 이름을 부르고 거기 장막을 쳤더니 그
종들이 거기서도 우물을 팠더라
26:25 Then he made an altar there, and gave worship to the name of the Lord, and he put
up his tents there, and there his servants made a water-hole.
26:25 And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD,
and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants dug a well.
26:26 ○ 아비멜렉이 그 친구 아훗삿과 군대 장관 비골로 더불어 그랄에서부터
이삭에게로 온지라
26:26 And Abimelech had come to him from Gerar, with Ahuzzath his friend and Phicol, the
captain of his army.
26:26 Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends,
and Phichol the chief captain of his army.
26:27 이삭이 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나를 미워하여 나로 너희를 떠나가게 하였거늘
어찌하여 내게 왔느냐
26:27 And Isaac said to them, Why have you come to me, seeing that in your hate for me
you sent me away from you?
26:27 And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come all of you to me, seeing all
of you hate me, and have sent me away from you?
26:28 그들이 가로되 여호와께서 너와 함께 계심을 우리가 분명히 보았으므로
우리의 사이 곧 우리와 너의 사이에 맹세를 세워 너와 계약을 맺으리라 말하였노라
26:28 And they said, We saw clearly that the Lord was with you: so we said, Let there
be an oath between us and you, and let us make an agreement with you;
26:28 And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with you: and we
said, Let there be now an oath between us, even between us and you, and let
us make a covenant with you;
26:29 너는 우리를 해하지 말라 이는 우리가 너를 범하지 아니하고 선한 일만
네게 행하며 너로 평안히 가게 하였음이니라 이제 너는 여호와께 복을 받은 자니라
26:29 That you will do us no damage, even as we put no hand on you, and did you nothing
but good, and sent you away in peace: and now the blessing of the Lord is on you.
26:29 That you will do us no hurt, as we have not touched you, and as we
have done unto you nothing but good, and have sent you away in peace: you are
now the blessed of the LORD.
26:30 이삭이 그들을 위하여 잔치를 베풀매 그들이 먹고 마시고
26:30 Then he made a feast for them, and they all had food and drink.
26:30 And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
26:31 아침에 일찌기 일어나 서로 맹세한 후에 이삭이 그들을 보내매 그들이 평안히
갔더라
26:31 And early in the morning they took an oath one to the other: then Isaac sent them
away and they went on their way in peace.
26:31 And they rose up early in the morning, and swore one to another: and
Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.
26:32 그 날에 이삭의 종들이 자기들의 판 우물에 대하여 이삭에게 와서 고하여
가로되 우리가 물을 얻었나이다 하매
26:32 And that day Isaac's servants came to him and gave him word of the water-hole which
they had made, and said to him, We have come to water.
26:32 And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told
him concerning the well which they had dug, and said unto him, We have found
water.
26:33 그가 그 이름을 세바라 한지라 그러므로 그 성읍 이름이 오늘까지 브엘세바더라
26:33 And he gave it the name of Shibah: so the name of that town is Beer-sheba to this
day.
26:33 And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beersheba
unto this day.
26:34 ○ 에서가 사십 세에 헷 족속 브에리의 딸 유딧과 헷 족속 엘론의 딸 바스맛을
아내로 취하였더니
26:34 And when Esau was forty years old, he took as his wives Judith, the daughter of
Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath, the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
26:34 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter
of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
26:35 그들이 이삭과 리브가의 마음의 근심이 되었더라
26:35 And Isaac and Rebekah had grief of mind because of them.
26:35 Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
27:1 이삭이 나이 많아 눈이 어두워 잘 보지 못하더니 맏아들 에서를 불러 가로되
내 아들아 하매 그가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 하니
27:1 Now when Isaac was old and his eyes had become clouded so that he was not able to
see, he sent for Esau, his first son, and said to him, My son: and he said, Here
am I.
27:1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim,
so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him,
My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
27:2 이삭이 가로되 내가 이제 늙어 어느날 죽을는지 알지 못하노니
27:2 And he said, See now, I am old, and my death may take place at any time:
27:2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:
27:3 그런즉 네 기구 곧 전통과 활을 가지고 들에 가서 나를 위하여 사냥하여
27:3 So take your arrows and your bow and go out to the field and get meat for me;
27:3 Now therefore take, I pray you, your weapons, your quiver and your bow,
and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
27:4 나의 즐기는 별미를 만들어 내게로 가져다가 먹게 하여 나로 죽기 전에 내
마음껏 네게 축복하게 하라
27:4 And make me food, good to the taste, such as is pleasing to me, and put it before
me, so that I may have a meal and give you my blessing before death comes to me.
27:4 And make me savoury food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I
may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die.
27:5 ○ 이삭이 그 아들 에서에게 말할 때에 리브가가 들었더니 에서가 사냥하여
오려고 들로 나가매
27:5 Now Isaac's words to his son were said in Rebekah's hearing. Then Esau went out
to get the meat.
27:5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to
the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
27:6 리브가가 그 아들 야곱에게 일러 가로되 네 부친이 네 형 에서에게 말씀하시는
것을 내가 들으니 이르시기를
27:6 And Rebekah said to Jacob, her son, Your father said to your brother Esau in my
hearing,
27:6 And Rebekah spoke unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard your father
speak unto Esau your brother, saying,
27:7 나를 위하여 사냥하여 가져다가 별미를 만들어 나로 먹게 하여 죽기 전에
여호와 앞에서 네게 축복하게 하라 하셨으니
27:7 Go and get some roe's meat and make me a good meal, so that I may be full, and give
you my blessing before the Lord before my death.
27:7 Bring me venison, and make me savoury food, that I may eat, and bless
you before the LORD before my death.
27:8 그런즉 내 아들아 내 말을 좇아 내가 네게 명하는 대로
27:8 Now, my son, do what I say.
27:8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command
you.
27:9 염소 떼에 가서 거기서 염소의 좋은 새끼를 내게로 가져오면 내가 그것으로
네 부친을 위하여 그 즐기시는 별미를 만들리니
27:9 Go to the flock and get me two fat young goats; and I will make of them a meal to
your father's taste:
27:9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats;
and I will make them savoury food for your father, such as he loves:
27:10 네가 그것을 가져 네 부친께 드려서 그로 죽으시기 전에 네게 축복하기
위하여 잡수시게 하라
27:10 And you will take it to him, so that he may have a good meal and give you his blessing
before his death.
27:10 And you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, and that he
may bless you before his death.
27:11 야곱이 그 모친 리브가에게 이르되 내 형 에서는 털사람이요 나는 매끈매끈한
사람인즉
27:11 And Jacob said to Rebekah, his mother, But Esau my brother is covered with hair,
while I am smooth:
27:11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a
hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
27:12 아버지께서 나를 만지실진대 내가 아버지께 속이는 자로 뵈일지라 복은
고사하고 저주를 받을까 하나이다
27:12 If by chance my father puts his hand on me, it will seem to him that I am tricking
him, and he will put a curse on me in place of a blessing.
27:12 My father possibly will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver;
and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
27:13 어미가 그에게 이르되 내 아들아 너의 저주는 내게로 돌리리니 내 말만
좇고 가서 가져오라
27:13 And his mother said, Let the curse be on me, my son: only do as I say, and go and
get them for me.
27:13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be your curse, my son: only obey
my voice, and go fetch me them.
27:14 그가 가서 취하여 어미에게로 가져왔더니 그 어미가 그 아비의 즐기는 별미를
만들었더라
27:14 So he went and got them and took them to his mother: and she made a meal to his
father's taste.
27:14 And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother
made savoury food, such as his father loved.
27:15 리브가가 집 안 자기 처소에 있는 맏아들 에서의 좋은 의복을 취하여 작은
아들 야곱에게 입히고
27:15 And Rebekah took the fair robes of her oldest son, which were with her in the house,
and put them on Jacob, her younger son:
27:15 And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were
with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
27:16 또 염소 새끼의 가죽으로 그 손과 목의 매끈매끈한 곳에 꾸미고
27:16 And she put the skins of the young goats on his hands and on the smooth part of
his neck:
27:16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and
upon the smooth of his neck:
27:17 그 만든 별미와 떡을 자기 아들 야곱의 손에 주매
27:17 And she gave into the hand of Jacob, her son, the meat and the bread which she had
made ready.
27:17 And she gave the savoury food and the bread, which she had prepared,
into the hand of her son Jacob.
27:18 야곱이 아버지에게 나아가서 내 아버지여 하고 부른대 가로되 내가 여기
있노라 내 아들아 네가 누구냐
27:18 And he came to his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I: who are
you, my son?
27:18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here
am I; who are you, my son?
27:19 야곱이 아비에게 대답하되 나는 아버지의 맏아들 에서로소이다 아버지께서
내게 명하신 대로 내가 하였사오니 청컨대 일어나 앉아서 내 사냥한 고기를 잡수시고
아버지의 마음껏 내게 축복하소서
27:19 And Jacob said, I am Esau, your oldest son; I have done as you said: come now, be
seated and take of my meat, so that you may give me a blessing.
27:19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau your first born; I have done
according as you bade me: arise, I pray you, sit and eat of my venison, that
your soul may bless me.
27:20 이삭이 그 아들에게 이르되 내 아들아 네가 어떻게 이같이 속히 잡았느냐
그가 가로되 아버지의 하나님 여호와께서 나로 순적히 만나게 하셨음이니이다
27:20 And Isaac said, How is it that you have got it so quickly, my son? And he said,
Because the Lord your God made it come my way.
27:20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that you have found it so quickly,
my son? And he said, Because the LORD your God brought it to me.
27:21 이삭이 야곱에게 이르되 내 아들아 가까이 오라 네가 과연 내 아들 에서인지
아닌지 내가 너를 만지려 하노라
27:21 And Isaac said, Come near so that I may put my hand on you, my son, and see if you
are truly my son Esau or not.
27:21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray you, that I may feel you,
my son, whether you be my very son Esau or not.
27:22 야곱이 그 아비 이삭에게 가까이 가니 이삭이 만지며 가로되 음성은 야곱의
음성이나 손은 에서의 손이로다 하며
27:22 And Jacob went near his father Isaac: and he put his hands on him; and he said,
The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
27:22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said,
The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
27:23 그 손이 형 에서의 손과 같이 털이 있으므로 능히 분별치 못하고 축복하였더라
27:23 And he did not make out who he was, because his hands were covered with hair like
his brother Esau's hands: so he gave him a blessing.
27:23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother
Esau's hands: so he blessed him.
27:24 이삭이 가로되 네가 참 내 아들 에서냐 그가 대답하되 그러하니이다
27:24 And he said, Are you truly my son Esau? And he said, I am.
27:24 And he said, Are you my very son Esau? And he said, I am.
27:25 이삭이 가로되 내게로 가져오라 내 아들의 사냥한 고기를 먹고 내 마음껏
네게 축복하리라 야곱이 그에게로 가져가매 그가 먹고 또 포도주를 가져가매 그가
마시고
27:25 And he said, Put it before me and I will take of my son's meat, so that I may give
you a blessing. And he put it before him and he took it; and he gave him wine, and
he had a drink.
27:25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison,
that my soul may bless you. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and
he brought him wine and he drank.
27:26 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 이르되 내 아들아 가까이 와서 내게 입맞추라
27:26 And his father Isaac said to him, Come near now, my son, and give me a kiss.
27:26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my
son.
27:27 그가 가까이 가서 그에게 입맞추니 아비가 그 옷의 향취를 맡고 그에게
축복하여 가로되 내 아들의 향취는 여호와의 복 주신 밭의 향취로다
27:27 And he came near and gave him a kiss; and smelling the smell of his clothing, he
gave him a blessing, and said, See, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field
on which the blessing of the Lord has come:
27:27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment,
and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field
which the LORD has blessed:
27:28 하나님은 하늘의 이슬과 땅의 기름짐이며 풍성한 곡식과 포도주로
네게 주시기를 원하노라
27:28 May God give you the dew of heaven, and the good things of the earth, and grain
and wine in full measure:
27:28 Therefore God give you of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the
earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
27:29 만민이 너를 섬기고 열국이 네게 굴복하리니 네가 형제들의 주가
되고 네 어미의 아들들이 네게 굴복하며 네게 저주하는 자는 저주를 받고 네게 축복하는
자는 복을 받기를 원하노라
27:29 Let peoples be your servants, and nations go down before you: be lord over your
brothers, and let your mother's sons go down before you: a curse be on everyone
by whom you are cursed, and a blessing on those who give you a blessing.
27:29 Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you: be lord over your
brethren, and let your mother's sons bow down to you: cursed be every one that
curses you, and blessed be he that blesses you.
27:30 이삭이 야곱에게 축복하기를 마치매 야곱이 그 아비 이삭 앞에서 나가자
곧 그 형 에서가 사냥하여 돌아온지라
27:30 And when Isaac had come to the end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob had not long gone
away from Isaac his father, Esau came in from the field.
27:30 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob,
and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that
Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
27:31 그가 별미를 만들어 아비에게로 가지고 가서 가로되 아버지여 일어나서
아들의 사냥한 고기를 잡수시고 마음껏 내게 축복하소서
27:31 And he made ready a meal, good to the taste, and took it to his father, and said
to him, Let my father get up and take of his son's meat, so that you may give me
a blessing.
27:31 And he also had made savoury food, and brought it unto his father,
and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison,
that your soul may bless me.
27:32 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 이르되 너는 누구냐 그가 대답하되 나는 아버지의
아들 곧 아버지의 맏아들 에서로소이다
27:32 And Isaac his father said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your oldest son,
Esau.
27:32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who are you? And he said, I am
your son, your firstborn Esau.
27:33 이삭이 심히 크게 떨며 가로되 그런즉 사냥한 고기를 내게 가져온 자가
누구냐 너 오기 전에 내가 다 먹고 그를 위하여 축복하였은즉 그가 정녕 복을 받을
것이니라
27:33 And in great fear Isaac said, Who then is he who got meat and put it before me,
and I took it all before you came, and gave him a blessing, and his it will be?
27:33 And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that
has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came,
and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
27:34 에서가 그 아비의 말을 듣고 방성대곡하며 아비에게 이르되 내 아버지여
내게 축복하소서 내게도 그리 하소서
27:34 And hearing the words of his father, Esau gave a great and bitter cry, and said
to his father, Give a blessing to me, even to me, O my father!
27:34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great
and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also,
O my father.
27:35 이삭이 가로되 네 아우가 간교하게 와서 네 복을 빼앗았도다
27:35 And he said, Your brother came with deceit, and took away your blessing.
27:35 And he said, Your brother came with subtlety, and has taken away your
blessing.
27:36 에서가 가로되 그의 이름을 야곱이라 함이 합당치 아니하니이까 그가 나를
속임이 이것이 두 번째니이다 전에는 나의 장자의 명분을 빼앗고 이제는 내 복을 빼앗았나이다
또 가로되 아버지께서 나를 위하여 빌 복을 남기지 아니하셨나이까
27:36 And he said, Is it because he is named Jacob that he has twice taken my place? for
he took away my birthright, and now he has taken away my blessing. And he said,
Have you not kept a blessing for me?
27:36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he has supplanted me
these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he has taken away
my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me?
27:37 이삭이 에서에게 대답하여 가로되 내가 그를 너의 주로 세우고 그 모든
형제를 내가 그에게 종으로 주었으며 곡식과 포도주를 그에게 공급하였으니 내 아들아
내가 네게 무엇을 할 수 있으랴
27:37 And Isaac answering said, But I have made him your master, and have given him all
his brothers for servants; I have made him strong with grain and wine: what then
am I to do for you, my son?
27:37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him your
lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and
wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto you, my son?
27:38 에서가 아비에게 이르되 내 아버지여 아버지의 빌 복이 이 하나 뿐이리이까
내 아버지여 내게 축복하소서 내게도 그리 하소서 하고 소리를 높여 우니
27:38 And Esau said to his father, Is that the only blessing you have, my father? give
a blessing to me, even me! And Esau was overcome with weeping.
27:38 And Esau said unto his father, Have you but one blessing, my father?
bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
27:39 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 대답하여 가로되 너의 주소는 땅의 기름짐에서
뜨고 내리는 하늘 이슬에서 뜰 것이며
27:39 Then Isaac his father made answer and said to him, Far from the fertile places of
the earth, and far from the dew of heaven on high will your living-place be:
27:39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, your dwelling
shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
27:40 너는 칼을 믿고 생활하겠고 네 아우를 섬길 것이며 네가 매임을 벗을
때에는 그 멍에를 네 목에서 떨쳐버리리라 하였더라
27:40 By your sword will you get your living and you will be your brother's servant; but
when your power is increased his yoke will be broken from off your neck.
27:40 And by your sword shall you live, and shall serve your brother; and
it shall come to pass when you shall have the dominion, that you shall break
his yoke from off your neck.
27:41 그 아비가 야곱에게 축복한 그 축복을 인하여 에서가 야곱을 미워하여 심중에
이르기를 아버지를 곡할 때가 가까왔은즉 내가 내 아우 야곱을 죽이리라 하였더니
27:41 So Esau was full of hate for Jacob because of his father's blessing; and he said
in his heart, The days of weeping for my father are near; then I will put my brother
Jacob to death.
27:41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed
him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand;
then will I slay my brother Jacob.
27:42 맏아들 에서의 이 말이 리브가에게 들리매 이에 보내어 작은 아들 야곱을
불러 그에게 이르되 네 형 에서가 너를 죽여 그 한을 풀려 하나니
27:42 Then Rebekah, hearing what Esau had said, sent for Jacob, her younger son, and said
to him, It seems that your brother Esau is purposing to put you to death.
27:42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she
sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, your brother
Esau, as concerning you, does comfort himself, purposing to kill you.
27:43 내 아들아 내 말을 좇아 일어나 하란으로 가서 내 오라버니 라반에게 피하여
27:43 So now, my son, do what I say: go quickly to Haran, to my brother Laban;
27:43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee you to Laban my brother
to Haran;
27:44 네 형의 노가 풀리기 까지 몇날 동안 그와 함께 거하라
27:44 And be there with him for a little time, till your brother's wrath is turned away;
27:44 And tarry with him a few days, until your brother's fury turn away;
27:45 네 형의 분노가 풀려 네가 자기에게 행한 것을 잊어버리거든 내가 곧 보내어
너를 거기서 불러오리라 어찌 하루에 너희 둘을 잃으랴
27:45 Till the memory of what you have done to him is past and he is no longer angry:
then I will send word for you to come back; are the two of you to be taken from
me in one day?
27:45 Until your brother's anger turn away from you, and he forget that which
you have done to him: then I will send, and fetch you from thence: why should
I be deprived also of you both in one day?
27:46 리브가가 이삭에게 이르되 내가 헷 사람의 딸들을 인하여 나의 생명을 싫어하거늘
야곱이 만일 이 땅의 딸들 곧 그들과 같은 헷 사람의 딸들 중에서 아내를 취하면 나의
생명이 내게 무슨 재미가 있으리이까
27:46 Then Rebekah said to Isaac, My life is a weariness to me because of the daughters
of Heth: if Jacob takes a wife from among the daughters of Heth, such as these,
the women of this land, of what use will my life be to me?
27:46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters
of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which
are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
28:1 이삭이 야곱을 불러 그에게 축복하고 또 부탁하여 가로되 너는 가나안 사람의
딸들 중에서 아내를 취하지 말고
28:1 Then Isaac sent for Jacob, and blessing him, said, Do not take a wife from among
the women of Canaan;
28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto
him, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
28:2 일어나 밧단아람으로 가서 너의 외조부 브두엘 집에 이르러 거기서 너의
외삼촌 라반의 딸 중에서 아내를 취하라
28:2 But go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel, your mother's father, and there
get yourself a wife from the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother.
28:2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel your mother's father;
and take you a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban your mother's brother.
28:3 전능하신 하나님이 네게 복을 주어 너로 생육하고 번성케 하사 너로 여러
족속을 이루게 하시고
28:3 And may God, the Ruler of all, give you his blessing, giving you fruit and increase,
so that you may become an army of peoples.
28:3 And God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you,
that you may be a multitude of people;
28:4 아브라함에게 허락하신 복을 네게 주시되 너와 너와 함께 네 자손에게 주사
너로 하나님이 아브라함에게 주신 땅 곧 너의 우거하는 땅을 유업으로 받게 하시기를
원하노라
28:4 And may God give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed, so that the
land of your wanderings, which God gave to Abraham, may be your heritage.
28:4 And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with
you; that you may inherit the land wherein you are a stranger, which God gave
unto Abraham.
28:5 이에 이삭이 야곱을 보내었더니 밧단아람으로 가서 라반에게 이르렀으니
라반은 아람 사람 브두엘의 아들이요 야곱과 에서의 어미 리브가의 오라비더라
28:5 So Isaac sent Jacob away: and he went to Paddan-aram, to Laban, son of Bethuel the
Aramaean, the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau.
28:5 And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son
of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
28:6 ○ 에서가 본즉 이삭이 야곱에게 축복하고 그를 밧단아람으로 보내어 거기서
아내를 취하게 하였고 또 그에게 축복하고 명하기를 너는 가나안 사람의 딸들 중에서
아내를 취하지 말라 하였고
28:6 So when Esau saw that Isaac had given Jacob his blessing, and sent him away to Paddan-aram
to get a wife for himself there, blessing him and saying to him, Do not take a wife
from among the women of Canaan;
28:6 When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram,
to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge,
saying, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
28:7 또 야곱이 부모의 명을 좇아 밧단아람으로 갔으며
28:7 And that Jacob had done as his father and mother said and had gone to Paddan-aram;
28:7 And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
28:8 에서가 또 본즉 가나안 사람의 딸들이 그 아비 이삭을 기쁘게 못하는지라
28:8 It was clear to Esau that his father had no love for the women of Canaan,
28:8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
28:9 이에 에서가 이스마엘에게 가서 그 본처들 외에 아브라함의 아들 이스마엘의
딸이요 느바욧의 누이인 마할랏을 아내로 취하였더라
28:9 So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath, the daughter of Abraham's son Ishmael,
the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had.
28:9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath
the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
28:10 ○ 야곱이 브엘세바에서 떠나 하란으로 향하여 가더니
28:10 So Jacob went out from Beer-sheba to go to Haran.
28:10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
28:11 한 곳에 이르러는 해가 진지라 거기서 유숙하려고 그 곳의 한 돌을 취하여
베개하고 거기 누워 자더니
28:11 And coming to a certain place, he made it his resting-place for the night, for the
sun had gone down; and he took one of the stones which were there, and putting it
under his head he went to sleep in that place.
28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because
the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his
pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
28:12 꿈에 본즉 사닥다리가 땅 위에 섰는데 그 꼭대기가 하늘에 닿았고 또 본즉
하나님의 사자가 그 위에서 오르락 내리락하고
28:12 And he had a dream, and in his dream he saw steps stretching from earth to heaven,
and the angels of God were going up and down on them.
28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top
of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending
on it.
28:13 또 본즉 여호와께서 그 위에 서서 가라사대 나는 여호와니 너의 조부 아브라함의
하나님이요 이삭의 하나님이라 너 누운 땅을 내가 너와 네 자손에게 주리니
28:13 And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your
father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which
you are sleeping.
28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of
Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon you lie, to you
will I give it, and to your seed;
28:14 네 자손이 땅의 티끌 같이 되어서 동서남북에 편만할지며 땅의 모든 족속이
너와 네 자손을 인하여 복을 얻으리라
28:14 Your seed will be like the dust of the earth, covering all the land to the west
and to the east, to the north and to the south: you and your seed will be a name
of blessing to all the families of the earth.
28:14 And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread
abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and
in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
28:15 내가 너와 함께 있어 네가 어디로 가든지 너를 지키며 너를 이끌어 이 땅으로
돌아오게 할지라 내가 네게 허락한 것을 다 이루기까지 너를 떠나지 아니하리라 하신지라
28:15 And truly, I will be with you, and will keep you wherever you go, guiding you back
again to this land; and I will not give you up till I have done what I have said
to you.
28:15 And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you
go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until
I have done that which I have spoken to you of.
28:16 야곱이 잠이 깨어 가로되 여호와께서 과연 여기 계시거늘 내가 알지 못하였도다
28:16 And Jacob, awaking from his sleep, said, Truly, the Lord is in this place and I
was not conscious of it.
28:16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is
in this place; and I knew it not.
28:17 이에 두려워하여 가로되 두렵도다 이곳이여 다른 것이 아니라 이는 하나님의
전이요 이는 하늘의 문이로다 하고
28:17 And fear came on him, and he said, This is a holy place; this is nothing less than
the house of God and the doorway of heaven.
28:17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is no
other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
28:18 야곱이 아침에 일찌기 일어나 베개하였던 돌을 가져 기둥으로 세우고 그
위에 기름을 붓고
28:18 And early in the morning Jacob took the stone which had been under his head, and
put it up as a pillar and put oil on it.
28:18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he
had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the
top of it.
28:19 그 곳 이름을 벧엘이라 하였더라 이 성의 본 이름은 루스더라
28:19 And he gave that place the name of Beth-el, but before that time the town was named
Luz.
28:19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city
was called Luz at the first.
28:20 야곱이 서원하여 가로되 하나님이 나와 함께 계시사 내가 가는 이 길에서
나를 지키시고 먹을 양식과 입을 옷을 주사
28:20 Then Jacob took an oath, and said, If God will be with me, and keep me safe on my
journey, and give me food and clothing to put on,
28:20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep
me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put
on,
28:21 나로 평안히 아비 집으로 돌아가게 하시오면 여호와께서 나의 하나님이
되실 것이요
28:21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace, then I will take the Lord to
be my God,
28:21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the
LORD be my God:
28:22 내가 기둥으로 세운 이 돌이 하나님의 전이 될 것이요 하나님께서 내게
주신 모든 것에서 십분 일을 내가 반드시 하나님께 드리겠나이다 하였더라
28:22 And this stone which I have put up for a pillar will be God's house: and of all
you give me, I will give a tenth part to you.
28:22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house:
and of all that you shall give me I will surely give the tenth unto you.
29:1 야곱이 발행하여 동방 사람의 땅에 이르러
29:1 Then Jacob went on his journey till he came to the land of the children of the East.
29:1 Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people
of the east.
29:2 본즉 들에 우물이 있고 그 곁에 양 세 떼가 누웠으니 이는 목자들이 그 우물에서
물을 양 떼에게 먹임이라 큰 돌로 우물 아구를 덮었다가
29:2 And there he saw a water-hole in a field, and by the side of it three flocks of
sheep, for there they got water for the sheep: and on the mouth of the water-hole
there was a great stone.
29:2 And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three
flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and
a great stone was upon the well's mouth.
29:3 모든 떼가 모이면 그들이 우물 아구에서 돌을 옮기고 양에게 물을 먹이고는
여전히 우물 아구 그 자리에 돌을 덮더라
29:3 And all the flocks would come together there, and when the stone had been rolled
away, they would give the sheep water, and put the stone back again in its place
on the mouth of the water-hole.
29:3 And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone
from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the
well's mouth in his place.
29:4 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 나의 형제여 어디로서뇨 그들이 가로되 하란에서로라
29:4 Then Jacob said to the herdmen, My brothers, where do you come from? And they said,
From Haran.
29:4 And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be all of you? And they
said, Of Haran are we.
29:5 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나홀의 손자 라반을 아느냐 그들이 가로되
아노라
29:5 And he said to them, Have you any knowledge of Laban, the son of Nahor? And they
said, We have.
29:5 And he said unto them, Know all of you Laban the son of Nahor? And they
said, We know him.
29:6 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 그가 평안하냐 가로되 평안하니라 그 딸 라헬이
지금 양을 몰고 오느니라
29:6 And he said to them, Is he well? And they said, He is well, and here is Rachel his
daughter coming with the sheep.
29:6 And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold,
Rachel his daughter comes with the sheep.
29:7 야곱이 가로되 해가 아직 높은즉 짐승 모일 때가 아니니 양에게 물을 먹이고
가서 뜯기라
29:7 Then Jacob said, The sun is still high and it is not time to get the cattle together:
get water for the sheep and go and give them their food.
29:7 And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle
should be gathered together: water all of you the sheep, and go and feed them.
29:8 그들이 가로되 우리가 그리하지 못하겠노라 떼가 다 모이고 목자들이 우물
아구에서 돌을 옮겨야 우리가 양에게 물을 먹이느리라
29:8 And they said, We are not able to do so till all the flocks have come together and
the stone has been rolled away from the mouth of the water-hole; then we will get
water for the sheep.
29:8 And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together,
and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep.
29:9 야곱이 그들과 말하는 중에 라헬이 그 아비의 양과 함께 오니 그가 그의
양들을 침이었더라
29:9 While he was still talking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she
took care of them.
29:9 And while he yet spoke with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep;
for she kept them.
29:10 야곱이 그 외삼촌 라반의 딸 라헬과 그 외삼촌의 양을 보고 나아가서 우물
아구에서 돌을 옮기고 외삼촌 라반의 양 떼에게 물을 먹이고
29:10 Then when Jacob saw Rachel, the daughter of Laban, his mother's brother, coming
with Laban's sheep, he came near, and rolling the stone away from the mouth of the
hole, he got water for Laban's flock.
29:10 And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his
mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went
near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban
his mother's brother.
29:11 그가 라헬에게 입맞추고 소리내어 울며
29:11 And weeping for joy, Jacob gave Rachel a kiss.
29:11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
29:12 그에게 자기가 그의 아비의 생질이요 리브가의 아들 됨을 고하였더니 라헬이
달려가서 그 아비에게 고하매
29:12 And Rachel, hearing from Jacob that he was her father's relation and that he was
the son of Rebekah, went running to give her father news of it.
29:12 And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he
was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.
29:13 라반이 그 생질 야곱의 소식을 듣고 달려와서 그를 영접하여 안고 입맞추고
자기 집으로 인도하여 들이니 야곱이 자기의 모든 일을 라반에게 고하매
29:13 And Laban, hearing news of Jacob, his sister's son, came running, and took Jacob
in his arms, and kissing him, made him come into his house. And Jacob gave him news
of everything.
29:13 And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's
son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought
him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
29:14 라반이 가로되 너는 참으로 나의 골육이로다 하였더라 야곱이 한 달을 그와
함께 거하더니
29:14 And Laban said to him, Truly, you are my bone and my flesh. And he kept Jacob with
him for the space of a month.
29:14 And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And he
abode with him the space of a month.
29:15 라반이 야곱에게 이르되 네가 비록 나의 생질이나 어찌 공으로 내 일만
하겠느냐 무엇이 네 보수겠느냐 내게 고하라
29:15 Then Laban said to Jacob, Because you are my brother are you to be my servant for
nothing? say now, what is your payment to be?
29:15 And Laban said unto Jacob, Because you are my brother, should you therefore
serve me for nothing? tell me, what shall your wages be?
29:16 라반이 두 딸이 있으니 형의 이름은 레아요 아우의 이름은 라헬이라
29:16 Now Laban had two daughters: the name of the older was Leah, and the name of the
younger was Rachel.
29:16 And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the
name of the younger was Rachel.
29:17 레아는 안력이 부족하고 라헬은 곱고 아리따우니
29:17 And Leah's eyes were clouded, but Rachel was fair in face and form.
29:17 Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
29:18 야곱이 라헬을 연애하므로 대답하되 내가 외삼촌의 작은 딸 라헬을 위하여
외삼촌에게 칠 년을 봉사하리이다
29:18 And Jacob was in love with Rachel; and he said, I will be your servant seven years
for Rachel, your younger daughter.
29:18 And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve you seven years for
Rachel your younger daughter.
29:19 라반이 가로되 그를 네게 주는 것이 타인에게 주는 것보다 나으니 나와
함께 있으라
29:19 And Laban said, It is better for you to have her than another man: go on living
here with me.
29:19 And Laban said, It is better that I give her to you, than that I should
give her to another man: abide with me.
29:20 야곱이 라헬을 위하여 칠 년 동안 라반을 봉사하였으나 그를 연애하는 까닭에
칠 년을 수일 같이 여겼더라
29:20 And Jacob did seven years' work for Rachel; and because of his love for her it seemed
to him only a very little time.
29:20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but
a few days, for the love he had to her.
29:21 ○ 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 내 기한이 찼으니 내 아내를 내게 주소서 내가
그에게 들어가겠나이다
29:21 Then Jacob said to Laban, Give me my wife so that I may have her, for the days are
ended.
29:21 And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled,
that I may go in unto her.
29:22 라반이 그 곳 사람을 다 모아 잔치하고
29:22 And Laban got together all the men of the place and gave a feast.
29:22 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
29:23 저녁에 그 딸 레아를 야곱에게로 데려가매 야곱이 그에게로 들어가니라
29:23 And in the evening he took Leah, his daughter, and gave her to him, and he went
in to her.
29:23 And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter,
and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.
29:24 라반이 또 그 여종 실바를 그 딸 레아에게 시녀로 주었더라
29:24 And Laban gave Zilpah, his servant-girl, to Leah, to be her waiting-woman.
29:24 And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
29:25 야곱이 아침에 보니 레아라 라반에게 이르되 외삼촌이 어찌하여 내게 이같이
행하셨나이까 내가 라헬을 위하여 외삼촌께 봉사하지 아니하였나이까 외삼촌이 나를
속이심은 어찜이니이까
29:25 And in the morning Jacob saw that it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What have you
done to me? was I not working for you so that I might have Rachel? why have you
been false to me?
29:25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and
he said to Laban, What is this you have done unto me? did not I serve with you
for Rachel? wherefore then have you misled me?
29:26 라반이 가로되 형보다 아우를 먼저 주는 것은 우리 지방에서 하지 아니하는
바이라
29:26 And Laban said, In our country we do not let the younger daughter be married before
the older.
29:26 And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the
younger before the firstborn.
29:27 이를 위하여 칠 일을 채우라 우리가 그도 네게 주리니 네가 그를 위하여
또 칠 년을 내게 봉사할지니라
29:27 Let the week of the bride-feast come to its end and then we will give you the other
in addition, if you will be my servant for another seven years.
29:27 Fulfill her week, and we will give you this also for the service which
you shall serve with me yet seven other years.
29:28 야곱이 그대로 하여 그 칠 일을 채우매 라반이 딸 라헬도 그에게 아내로
주고
29:28 And Jacob did so; and when the week was ended, Laban gave him his daughter Rachel
for his wife.
29:28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his
daughter to wife also.
29:29 라반이 또 그 여종 빌하를 그 딸 라헬에게 주어 시녀가 되게 하매
29:29 And Laban gave Rachel his servant-girl Bilhah to be her waiting-woman.
29:29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her
maid.
29:30 야곱이 또한 라헬에게로 들어갔고 그가 레아보다 라헬을 더 사랑하고 다시
칠 년을 라반에게 봉사하였더라
29:30 Then Jacob took Rachel as his wife, and his love for her was greater than his love
for Leah; and he went on working for Laban for another seven years.
29:30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than
Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.
29:31 ○ 여호와께서 레아에게 총이 없음을 보시고 그의 태를 여셨으나 라헬은
무자하였더라
29:31 Now the Lord, seeing that Leah was not loved, gave her a child; while Rachel had
no children.
29:31 And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but
Rachel was barren.
29:32 레아가 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 그 이름을 르우벤이라 하여 가로되 여호와께서
나의 괴로움을 권고하셨으니 이제는 내 남편이 나를 사랑하리로다 하였더라
29:32 And Leah was with child, and gave birth to a son to whom she gave the name Reuben:
for she said, The Lord has seen my sorrow; now my husband will have love for me.
29:32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben:
for she said, Surely the LORD has looked upon my affliction; now therefore my
husband will love me.
29:33 그가 다시 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 여호와께서 나의 총이 없음을 들으셨으므로
내게 이도 주셨도다 하고 그 이름을 시므온이라 하였으며
29:33 Then she became with child again, and gave birth to a son; and said, Because it
has come to the Lord's ears that I am not loved, he has given me this son in addition:
and she gave him the name Simeon.
29:33 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD
has heard I was hated, he has therefore given me this son also: and she called
his name Simeon.
29:34 그가 또 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 내가 그에게 세 아들을 낳았으니
내 남편이 지금부터 나와 연합하리로다 하고 그 이름을 레위라 하였으며
29:34 And she was with child again, and gave birth to a son; and said, Now at last my
husband will be united to me, because I have given him three sons: so he was named
Levi.
29:34 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will
my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore
was his name called Levi.
29:35 그가 또 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 내가 이제는 여호와를 찬송하리로다
하고 이로 인하여 그가 그 이름을 유다라 하였고 그의 생산이 멈추었더라
29:35 And she was with child again, and gave birth to a son: and she said, This time I
will give praise to the Lord: so he was named Judah; after this she had no more
children for a time.
29:35 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise
the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
30:1 라헬이 자기가 야곱에게 아들을 낳지 못함을 보고 그 형을 투기하여 야곱에게
이르되 나로 자식을 낳게 하라 그렇지 아니하면 내가 죽겠노라
30:1 Now Rachel, because she had no children, was full of envy of her sister; and she
said to Jacob, If you do not give me children I will not go on living.
30:1 And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her
sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
30:2 야곱이 라헬에게 노를 발하여 가로되 그대로 성태치 못하게 하시는 이는
하나님이시니 내가 하나님을 대신하겠느냐
30:2 But Jacob was angry with Rachel, and said, Am I in the place of God, who has kept
your body from having fruit?
30:2 And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's
position, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?
30:3 라헬이 가로되 나의 여종 빌하에게로 들어가라 그가 아들을 낳아 내 무릎에
두리니 그러면 나도 그를 인하여 자식을 얻겠노라 하고
30:3 Then she said, Here is my servant Bilhah, go in to her, so that she may have a child
on my knees, and I may have a family by her.
30:3 And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear
upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.
30:4 그 시녀 빌하를 남편에게 첩으로 주매 야곱이 그에게로 들어갔더니
30:4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her.
30:4 And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto
her.
30:5 빌하가 잉태하여 야곱에게 아들을 낳은지라
30:5 And Bilhah became with child, and gave birth to a son.
30:5 And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.
30:6 라헬이 가로되 하나님이 내 억울함을 푸시려고 내 소리를 들으사 내게 아들을
주셨다 하고 이로 인하여 그 이름을 단이라 하였으며
30:6 Then Rachel said, God has been my judge, and has given ear to my voice, and has
given me a son; so he was named Dan.
30:6 And Rachel said, God has judged me, and has also heard my voice, and
has given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
30:7 라헬의 시녀 빌하가 다시 잉태하여 둘째 아들을 야곱에게 낳으매
30:7 And again Bilhah, Rachel's servant, was with child, and gave birth to a second son.
30:7 And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.
30:8 라헬이 가로되 내가 형과 크게 경쟁하여 이기었다 하고 그 이름을 납달리라
하였더라
30:8 And Rachel said, I have had a great fight with my sister, and I have overcome her:
and she gave the child the name Naphtali.
30:8 And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister,
and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
30:9 ○ 레아가 자기의 생산이 멈춤을 보고 그 시녀 실바를 취하여 야곱에게 주어
첩을 삼게 하였더니
30:9 When it was clear to Leah that she would have no more children for a time, she gave
Zilpah, her servant, to Jacob as a wife.
30:9 When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and
gave her Jacob to wife.
30:10 레아의 시녀 실바가 야곱에게 아들을 낳으매
30:10 And Zilpah, Leah's servant, gave birth to a son.
30:10 And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.
30:11 레아가 가로되 복되도다 하고 그 이름을 갓이라 하였으며
30:11 And Leah said, It has gone well for me: and she gave him the name Gad.
30:11 And Leah said, A troop comes: and she called his name Gad.
30:12 레아의 시녀 실바가 둘째 아들을 야곱에게 낳으매
30:12 And Zilpah, Leah's servant, gave birth to a second son.
30:12 And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.
30:13 레아가 가로되 기쁘도다 모든 딸들이 나를 기쁜 자라 하리로다 하고 그
이름을 아셀이라 하였더라
30:13 And Leah said, Happy am I! and all women will give witness to my joy: and she gave
him the name Asher.
30:13 And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed:
and she called his name Asher.
30:14 맥추 때에 르우벤이 나가서 들에서 합환채를 얻어 어미 레아에게 드렸더니
라헬이 레아에게 이르되 형의 아들의 합환채를 청구하노라
30:14 Now at the time of the grain-cutting, Reuben saw some love-fruits in the field,
and took them to his mother Leah. And Rachel said to her, Let me have some of your
son's love-fruits.
30:14 And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in
the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah,
Give me, I pray you, of your son's mandrakes.
30:15 레아가 그에게 이르되 네가 내 남편을 빼앗은 것이 작은 일이냐 그런데
네가 내 아들의 합환채도 빼앗고자 하느냐 라헬이 가로되 그러면 형의 아들의 합환채
대신에 오늘 밤에 내 남편이 형과 동침하리라 하니라
30:15 But Leah said to her, Is it a small thing that you have taken my husband from me?
and now would you take my son's love-fruits? Then Rachel said, You may have him
tonight in exchange for your son's love-fruits.
30:15 And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that you have taken my
husband? and would you take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore
he shall lie with you to night for your son's mandrakes.
30:16 저물 때에 야곱이 들에서 돌아오매 레아가 나와서 그를 영접하며 이르되
내게로 들어오라 내가 내 아들의 합환채로 당신을 샀노라 그 밤에 야곱이 그와 동침하였더라
30:16 In the evening, when Jacob came in from the field, Leah went out to him and said,
Tonight you are to come to me, for I have given my son's love-fruits as a price
for you. And he went in to her that night.
30:16 And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to
meet him, and said, You must come in unto me; for surely I have hired you with
my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
30:17 하나님이 레아를 들으셨으므로 그가 잉태하여 다섯째 아들을 야곱에게 낳은지라
30:17 And God gave ear to her and she became with child, and gave Jacob a fifth son.
30:17 And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the
fifth son.
30:18 레아가 가로되 내가 내 시녀를 남편에게 주었으므로 하나님이 내게 그 값을
주셨다 하고 그 이름을 잇사갈이라 하였으며
30:18 Then Leah said, God has made payment to me for giving my servant-girl to my husband:
so she gave her son the name Issachar.
30:18 And Leah said, God has given me my hire, because I have given my maiden
to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.
30:19 레아가 다시 잉태하여 여섯째 아들을 야곱에게 낳은지라
30:19 And again Leah became with child, and she gave Jacob a sixth son.
30:19 And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.
30:20 레아가 가로되 하나님이 내게 후한 선물을 주시도다 내가 남편에게 여섯
아들을 낳았으니 이제는 그가 나와 함께 거하리라 하고 그 이름을 스불론이라 하였으며
30:20 And she said, God has given me a good bride-price; now at last will I have my husband
living with me, for I have given him six sons: and she gave him the name Zebulun.
30:20 And Leah said, God has imbued me with a good dowry; now will my husband
dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.
30:21 그 후에 그가 딸을 낳고 그 이름을 디나라 하였더라
30:21 After that she had a daughter, to whom she gave the name Dinah.
30:21 And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.
30:22 하나님이 라헬을 생각하신지라 하나님이 그를 들으시고 그 태를 여신 고로
30:22 Then God gave thought to Rachel, and hearing her prayer he made her fertile.
30:22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her
womb.
30:23 그가 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 하나님이 나의 부끄러움을 씻으셨다
하고
30:23 And she was with child, and gave birth to a son: and she said, God has taken away
my shame.
30:23 And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God has taken away my
reproach:
30:24 그 이름을 요셉이라 하니 여호와는 다시 다른 아들을 내게 더하시기를 원하노라
함이었더라
30:24 And she gave him the name Joseph, saying, May the Lord give me another son.
30:24 And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me
another son.
30:25 ○ 라헬이 요셉을 낳은 때에 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 나를 보내어 내 고향
내 본토로 가게 하시되
30:25 Now after the birth of Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, Let me go away to my place and
my country.
30:25 And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto
Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.
30:26 내가 외삼촌에게서 일하고 얻은 처자를 내게 주어 나로 가게 하소서 내가
외삼촌께 한 일은 외삼촌이 아시나이다
30:26 Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have been your servant, and let me
go: for you have knowledge of all the work I have done for you.
30:26 Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served you, and let
me go: for you know my service which I have done you.
30:27 라반이 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 너로 인하여 내게 복 주신 줄을 내가 깨달았노니
네가 나를 사랑스럽게 여기거든 유하라
30:27 And Laban said, If you will let me say so, do not go away; for I have seen by the
signs that the Lord has been good to me because of you.
30:27 And Laban said unto him, I pray you, if I have found favour in yours
eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD has blessed me for
your sake.
30:28 또 가로되 네 품삯을 정하라 내가 그것을 주리라
30:28 Say then what your payment is to be and I will give it.
30:28 And he said, Appoint me your wages, and I will give it.
30:29 야곱이 그에게 이르되 내가 어떻게 외삼촌을 섬겼는지 어떻게 외삼촌의
짐승을 쳤는지 외삼촌이 아시나이다
30:29 Then Jacob said, You have seen what I have done for you, and how your cattle have
done well under my care.
30:29 And he said unto him, You know how I have served you, and how your
cattle was with me.
30:30 내가 오기 전에는 외삼촌의 소유가 적더니 번성하여 떼를 이루었나이다
나의 공력을 따라 여호와께서 외삼촌에게 복을 주셨나이다 그러나 나는 어느 때에나
내 집을 세우리이까
30:30 For before I came you had little, and it has been greatly increased; and the Lord
has given you a blessing in everything I have done; but when am I to do something
for my family?
30:30 For it was little which you had before I came, and it is now increased
unto a multitude; and the LORD has blessed you since my coming: and now when
shall I provide for mine own house also?
30:31 라반이 가로되 내가 무엇으로 네게 주랴 야곱이 가로되 외삼촌께서 아무
것도 내게 주실 것이 아니라 나를 위하여 이 일을 행하시면 내가 다시 외삼촌의 양
떼를
먹이고 지키리이다
30:31 And Laban said, What am I to give you? And Jacob said, Do not give me anything;
but I will again take up the care of your flock if you will only do this for me:
30:31 And he said, What shall I give you? And Jacob said, You shall not give
me any thing: if you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your
flock.
30:32 오늘 내가 외삼촌의 양 떼로 두루 다니며 그 양 중에 아롱진 자와 점 있는
자와 검은 자를 가리어 내며 염소 중에 점 있는 자와 아롱진 자를 가리어 내리니 이같은
것이 나면 나의 삯이 되리이다
30:32 Let me go through all your flock today, taking out from among them all the sheep
which are marked or coloured or black, and all the marked or coloured goats: these
will be my payment.
30:32 I will pass through all your flock to day, removing from thence all
the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and
the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.
30:33 후일에 외삼촌께서 오셔서 내 품삯을 조사하실 때에 나의 의가 나의 표징이
되리이다 내게 혹시 염소 중 아롱지지 아니한 자나 점이 없는 자나 양 중 검지 아니한
자가 있거든 다 도적질한 것으로 인정하소서
30:33 And so you will be able to put my honour to the test in time to come; if you see
among my flocks any goats which are not marked or coloured, or any sheep which is
not black, you may take me for a thief.
30:33 So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall
come for my hire before your face: every one that is not speckled and spotted
among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with
me.
30:34 라반이 가로되 내가 네 말대로 하리라 하고
30:34 And Laban said, Let it be as you say.
30:34 And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to your word.
30:35 그 날에 그가 수염소 중 얼룩무늬 있는 자와 점 있는 자를 가리고 암염소 중
흰 바탕에 아롱진 자와 점 있는 자를 가리고 양 중의 검은 자들을 가려 자기 아들들의
손에 붙이고
30:35 So that day he took all the he-goats which were banded or coloured, and all the
she-goats which were marked or coloured or had white marks, and all the black sheep,
and gave them into the care of his sons;
30:35 And he removed that day the he goats that were striped with bands and
spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one
that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them
into the hand of his sons.
30:36 자기와 야곱의 사이를 사흘 길이 뜨게 하였고 야곱은 라반의 남은 양 떼를
치니라
30:36 And sent them three days' journey away: and Jacob took care of the rest of Laban's
flock.
30:36 And he set three days' journey between himself and Jacob: and Jacob
fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
30:37 ○ 야곱이 버드나무와 살구나무와 신풍나무의 푸른 가지를 취하여 그것들의
껍질을 벗겨 흰 무늬를 내고
30:37 Then Jacob took young branches of trees, cutting off the skin so that the white
wood was seen in bands.
30:37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut
tree; and stripped white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was
in the rods.
30:38 그 껍질 벗긴 가지를 양 떼가 와서 먹는 개천의 물구유에 세워 양 떼에 향하게
하매 그 떼가 물을 먹으러 올 때에 새끼를 배니
30:38 And he put the banded sticks in the drinking-places where the flock came to get
water; and they became with young when they came to the water.
30:38 And he set the rods which he had stripped before the flocks in the
gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should
conceive when they came to drink.
30:39 가지 앞에서 새끼를 배므로 얼룩얼룩한 것과 점이 있고 아롱진 것을 낳은지라
30:39 And because of this, the flock gave birth to young which were marked with bands
of colour.
30:39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle
striped with bands, speckled, and spotted.
30:40 야곱이 새끼 양을 구분하고 그 얼룩무늬와 검은 빛 있는 것으로 라반의
양과 서로 대하게 하며 자기 양을 따로 두어 라반의 양과 섞이지 않게 하며
30:40 These lambs Jacob kept separate; and he put his flock in a place by themselves and
not with Laban's flock.
30:40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward
the striped with bands, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put
his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.
30:41 실한 양이 새끼 밸 때에는 야곱이 개천에다가 양 떼의 눈 앞에 그 가지를
두어 양으로 그 가지 곁에서 새끼를 배게 하고
30:41 And whenever the stronger ones of the flock became with young, Jacob put the sticks
in front of them in the drinking-places, so that they might become with young when
they saw the sticks.
30:41 And it came to pass, whenever the stronger cattle did conceive, that
Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they
might conceive among the rods.
30:42 약한 양이면 그 가지를 두지 아니하니 이러므로 약한 자는 라반의 것이
되고 실한 자는 야곱의 것이 된지라
30:42 But when the flocks were feeble, he did not put the sticks before them; so that
the feebler flocks were Laban's and the stronger were Jacob's.
30:42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler
were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.
30:43 이에 그 사람이 심히 풍부하여 양 떼와 노비와 약대와 나귀가 많았더라
30:43 So Jacob's wealth was greatly increased; he had great flocks and women-servants
and men-servants and camels and asses.
30:43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants,
and male servants, and camels, and asses.
