11:1 예수께서 열 두 제자에게 명하시기를 마치시고 이에 저희 여러 동네에서
가르치시며 전도하시려고 거기를 떠나 가시니라
11:1 And it came about that when Jesus had come to the end of giving these orders to
his twelve disciples, he went away from there, teaching and preaching in their towns.
11:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve
disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
11:2 ○ 요한이 옥에서 그리스도의 하신 일을 듣고 제자들을 보내어
11:2 Now when John had news in prison of the works of the Christ, he sent his disciples
11:2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two
of his disciples,
11:3 예수께 여짜오되 오실 그이가 당신이오니이까 우리가 다른 이를 기다리오리이까
11:3 To say to him, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
11:3 And said unto him, Are you he that should come, or do we look for another?
11:4 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 너희가 가서 듣고 보는 것을 요한에게 고하되
11:4 And Jesus, answering, said to them, Go and give news to John of the things which
you are seeing and hearing:
11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things
which all of you do hear and see:
11:5 소경이 보며 앉은뱅이가 걸으며 문둥이가 깨끗함을 받으며 귀머거리가 들으며
죽은 자가 살아나며 가난한 자에게 복음이 전파된다 하라
11:5 The blind see; those who were not able to, are walking; lepers are made clean; those
who were without hearing, now have their ears open; the dead come to life again,
and the poor have the good news given to them.
11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed,
and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached
to them.
11:6 누구든지 나를 인하여 실족하지 아니하는 자는 복이 있도다 하시니라
11:6 And a blessing will be on him who has no doubts about me.
11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
11:7 저희가 떠나매 예수께서 무리에게 요한에 대하여 말씀하시되 너희가 무엇을
보려고 광야에 나갔더냐 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐
11:7 And when they were going away, Jesus, talking of John, said to all the people, What
went you out into the waste land to see? a tall stem moving in the wind?
11:7 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning
John, What went all of you out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with
the wind?
11:8 그러면 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔더냐 부드러운 옷 입은 사람이냐 부드러운
옷을 입은 자들은 왕궁에 있느니라
11:8 But what went you out to see? a man delicately clothed? Those who have fair robes
are in kings' houses.
11:8 But what went all of you out in order to see? A man clothed in soft
raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
11:9 그러면 너희가 어찌하여 나갔더냐 선지자를 보려더냐 옳다 내가 너희에게
이르노니 선지자보다도 나은 자니라
11:9 But why did you go out? to see a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
11:9 But what went all of you out in order to see? A prophet? yea, I say
unto you, and more than a prophet.
11:10 기록된 바 보라 내가 내 사자를 네 앞에 보내노니 저가 네 길을 네
앞에 예비하리라 하신 것이 이 사람에 대한 말씀이니라
11:10 This is he of whom it has been said, See, I send my servant before your face, who
will make ready your way before you.
11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger
before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.
11:11 내가 진실로 너희에게 말하노니 여자가 낳은 자 중에 세례 요한보다 큰
이가 일어남이 없도다 그러나 천국에서는 극히 작은 자라도 저보다 크니라
11:11 Truly I say to you, Among the sons of women there has not been a greater than John
the Baptist: but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there has
not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least
in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11:12 세례 요한의 때부터 지금까지 천국은 침노를 당하나니 침노하는 자는 빼앗느니라
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist till now, the kingdom of heaven is forcing
its way in, and men of force take it.
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven
suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
11:13 모든 선지자와 및 율법의 예언한 것이 요한까지니
11:13 For all the prophets and the law were in force till John.
11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
11:14 만일 너희가 즐겨 받을진대 오리라 한 엘리야가 곧 이 사람이니라
11:14 And if you are able to see it, this is Elijah who was to come.
11:14 And if all of you will receive it, this is Elijah, which was in order
to come.
11:15 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다
11:15 He who has ears, let him give ear.
11:15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
11:16 이 세대를 무엇으로 비유할꼬 비유컨대 아이들이 장터에 앉아 제 동무를
불러
11:16 But what comparison may I make of this generation? It is like children seated in
the market-places, crying out to one another,
11:16 But unto which shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children
sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
11:17 가로되 우리가 너희를 향하여 피리를 불어도 너희가 춤추지 않고 우리가
애곡하여도 너희가 가슴을 치지 아니하였다 함과 같도다
11:17 We made music for you and you did not take part in the dance; we gave cries of sorrow
and you made no signs of grief.
11:17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and all of you have not danced;
we have mourned unto you, and all of you have not lamented.
11:18 요한이 와서 먹지도 않고 마시지도 아니하매 저희가 말하기를 귀신이 들렸다
하더니
11:18 For John came, taking no food or drink, and they say, He has an evil spirit.
11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a devil.
11:19 인자는 와서 먹고 마시매 말하기를 보라 먹기를 탐하고 포도주를 즐기는
사람이요 세리와 죄인의 친구로다 하니 지혜는 그 행한 일로 인하여 옳다 함을 얻느니라
11:19 The Son of man has come feasting, and they say, See, a lover of food and wine, a
friend of tax-farmers and sinners! And wisdom is judged to be right by her works.
11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man
gluttonous, and a wine indulger, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom
is justified of her children.
11:20 ○ 예수께서 권능을 가장 많이 베푸신 고을들이 회개치 아니하므로 그때에
책망하시되
11:20 Then he went on to say hard things to the towns where most of his works of power
were done, because they had not been turned from their sins.
11:20 Then began he to reproach the cities wherein most of his mighty works
were done, because they repented not:
11:21 화가 있을진저 고라신아 화가 있을진저 벳새다야 너희에게서 행한 모든
권능을 두로와 시돈에서 행하였더면 저희가 벌써 베옷을 입고 재에 앉아 회개하였으리라
11:21 Unhappy are you, Chorazin! Unhappy are you, Beth-saida! For if the works of power
which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have been turned
from their sins in days gone by, clothing themselves in haircloth and putting dust
on their heads.
11:21 Woe unto you, Chorazin! woe unto you, Bethsaida! for if the mighty
works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have
repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
11:22 내가 너희에게 이르노니 심판 날에 두로와 시돈이 너희보다 견디기 쉬우리라
11:22 But I say to you, It will be better for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judging, than
for you.
11:22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at
the day of judgment, than for you.
11:23 가버나움아 네가 하늘에까지 높아지겠느냐 음부에까지 낮아지리라 네게서
행한 모든 권능을 소돔에서 행하였더면 그 성이 오늘날까지 있었으리라
11:23 And you, Capernaum, were you not to be lifted up to heaven? you will go down into
hell: for if the works of power which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it
would have been here to this day.
11:23 And you, Capernaum, which are exalted unto heaven, shall be brought
down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been
done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
11:24 내가 너희에게 이르노니 심판 날에 소돔 땅이 너보다 견디기 쉬우리라 하시니라
11:24 But I say to you that it will be better for the land of Sodom in the day of judging,
than for you.
11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of
Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.
11:25 ○ 그때에 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 천지의 주재이신 아버지여 이것을
지혜롭고 슬기 있는 자들에게는 숨기시고 어린 아이들에게는 나타내심을 감사하나이다
11:25 At that time Jesus made answer and said, I give praise to you, O Father, Lord of
heaven and earth, because you have kept these things secret from the wise and the
men of learning, and have made them clear to little children.
11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of
heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent,
and have revealed them unto babes.
11:26 옳소이다 이렇게 된 것이 아버지의 뜻이니이다
11:26 Yes, Father, for so it was pleasing in your eyes.
11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
11:27 내 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 주셨으니 아버지 외에는 아들을 아는 자가
없고 아들과 또 아들의 소원대로 계시를 받는 자 외에는 아버지를 아는 자가 없느니라
11:27 All things have been given to me by my Father; and no one has knowledge of the Son,
but the Father; and no one has knowledge of the Father, but the Son, and he to whom
the Son will make it clear.
11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the
Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he
to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
11:28 수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라
11:28 Come to me, all you who are troubled and weighted down with care, and I will give
you rest.
11:28 Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
11:29 나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니 나의 멍에를 메고 내게 배우라 그러면 너희
마음이 쉼을 얻으리니
11:29 Take my yoke on you and become like me, for I am gentle and without pride, and you
will have rest for your souls;
11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and all of you shall find rest unto your souls.
11:30 이는 내 멍에는 쉽고 내 짐은 가벼움이라 하시니라
11:30 For my yoke is good, and the weight I take up is not hard.
11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
12:1 그때에 예수께서 안식일에 밀밭 사이로 가실새 제자들이 시장하여 이삭을
잘라 먹으니
12:1 At that time Jesus went through the fields on the Sabbath day; and his disciples,
being in need of food, were taking the heads of grain.
12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his
disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
12:2 바리새인들이 보고 예수께 고하되 보시오 당신의 제자들이 안식일에 하지
못할 일을 하나이다
12:2 But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, See, your disciples do that which
it is not right to do on the Sabbath.
12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, your disciples
do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
12:3 예수께서 가라사대 다윗이 자기와 그 함께 한 자들이 시장할 때에 한 일을
읽지 못하였느냐
12:3 But he said to them, Have you no knowledge of what David did when he had need of
food, and those who were with him?
12:3 But he said unto them, Have all of you not read what David did, when
he was an hungered, and they that were with him;
12:4 그가 하나님의 전에 들어가서 제사장 외에는 자기나 그 함께 한 자들이 먹지
못하는 진설병을 먹지 아니하였느냐
12:4 How he went into the house of God and took for food the holy bread which it was
not right for him or for those who were with him to take, but only for the priests?
12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which
was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only
for the priests?
12:5 또 안식일에 제사장들이 성전 안에서 안식을 범하여도 죄가 없음을 너희가
율법에서 읽지 못하였느냐
12:5 Or is it not said in the law, how the Sabbath is broken by the priests in the Temple
and they do no wrong?
12:5 Or have all of you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days
the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
12:6 내가 너희에게 이르노니 성전보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라
12:6 But I say to you that a greater thing than the Temple is here.
12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
12:7 나는 자비를 원하고 제사를 원치 아니하노라 하신 뜻을 너희가 알았더면
무죄한 자를 죄로 정치 아니하였으리라
12:7 But if these words had been in your minds, My desire is for mercy and not for offerings,
you would not have been judging those who have done no wrong.
12:7 But if all of you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and
not sacrifice, all of you would not have condemned the guiltless.
12:8 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시니라
12:8 For the Son of man is lord of the Sabbath.
12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
12:9 ○ 거기를 떠나 저희 회당에 들어가시니
12:9 And he went from there into their Synagogue:
12:9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
12:10 한편 손 마른 사람이 있는지라 사람들이 예수를 송사하려 하여 물어 가로되
안식일에 병 고치는 것이 옳으니이까
12:10 And there was a man with a dead hand. And they put a question to him, saying, Is
it right to make a man well on the Sabbath day? so that they might have something
against him.
12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they
asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might
accuse him.
12:11 예수께서 가라사대 너희 중에 어느 사람이 양 한 마리가 있어 안식일에
구덩이에 빠졌으면 붙잡아 내지 않겠느냐
12:11 And he said to them, Which of you, having a sheep, if it gets into a hole on the
Sabbath day, will not put out a helping hand and get it back?
12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall
have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay
hold on it, and lift it out?
12:12 사람이 양보다 얼마나 더 귀하냐 그러므로 안식일에 선을 행하는 것이 옳으니라
하시고
12:12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! For this reason it is right to do
good on the Sabbath day.
12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful
to do well on the sabbath days.
12:13 이에 그 사람에게 이르시되 손을 내밀라 하시니 저가 내밀매 다른 손과
같이 회복되어 성하더라
12:13 Then said he to the man, Put out your hand. And he put it out, and it was made as
well as the other.
12:13 Then says he to the man, Stretch forth yours hand. And he stretched
it forth; and it was restored whole, like the other.
12:14 바리새인들이 나가서 어떻게 하여 예수를 죽일꼬 의논하거늘
12:14 But the Pharisees went out and made designs against him, how they might put him
to death.
12:14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they
might destroy him.
12:15 예수께서 아시고 거기를 떠나가시니 사람이 많이 좇는지라 예수께서 저희
병을 다 고치시고
12:15 And Jesus, having knowledge of this, went away from there, and a great number went
after him; and he made them all well,
12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great
multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
12:16 자기를 나타내지 말라 경계하셨으니
12:16 Ordering them not to give people word of him:
12:16 And charged them that they should not make him known:
12:17 이는 선지자 이사야로 말씀하신 바
12:17 So that what was said by Isaiah the prophet might come true,
12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet,
saying,
12:18 보라 나의 택한 종 곧 내 마음에 기뻐하는 바 나의 사랑하는 자로다
내가 내 성령을 줄 터이니 그가 심판을 이방에 알게 하리라
12:18 See my servant, the man of my selection, my loved one in whom my soul is well pleased:
I will put my Spirit on him, and he will make my decision clear to the Gentiles.
12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul
is well pleased: I will put my spirit (o. pneuma) upon him, and he shall show
judgment to the Gentiles.
12:19 그가 다투지도 아니하며 들레지도 아니하리니 아무도 길에서 그 소리를
듣지 못하리라
12:19 His coming will not be with fighting or loud cries; and his voice will not be lifted
up in the streets.
12:19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice
in the streets.
12:20 상한 갈대를 꺾지 아니하며 꺼져가는 심지를 끄지 아니하기를 심판하여
이길 때까지 하리니
12:20 The crushed stem will not be broken by him; and the feebly burning light will he
not put out, till he has made righteousness overcome all.
12:20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench,
till he send forth judgment unto victory.
12:21 또한 이방들이 그 이름을 바라리라 함을 이루려 하심이니라
12:21 And in his name will the Gentiles put their hope.
12:21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
12:22 ○ 그때에 귀신 들려 눈 멀고 벙어리 된 자를 데리고 왔거늘 예수께서 고쳐
주시매 그 벙어리가 말하며 보게 된지라
12:22 Then they took to him one with an evil spirit, who was blind and had no power of
talking: and he made him well so that he had the power of talking and seeing.
12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb:
and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw.
12:23 무리가 다 놀라 가로되 이는 다윗의 자손이 아니냐 하니
12:23 And all the people were surprised and said, Is not this the Son of David?
12:23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
12:24 바리새인들은 듣고 가로되 이가 귀신의 왕 바알세불을 힘입지 않고는 귀신을
쫓아내지 못하느니라 하거늘
12:24 But the Pharisees, hearing of it, said, This man only sends evil spirits out of
men by Beelzebub, the ruler of evil spirits.
12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast
out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
12:25 예수께서 저희 생각을 아시고 가라사대 스스로 분쟁하는 나라마다 황폐하여질 것이요 스스로 분쟁하는 동네나 집마다 서지 못하리라
12:25 And having knowledge of their thoughts he said to them, Every kingdom having division
in itself is made waste, and every town or house having division in itself will
come to destruction.
12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided
against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against
itself shall not stand:
12:26 사단이 만일 사단을 쫓아내면 스스로 분쟁하는 것이니 그리하고야 저의
나라가 어떻게 서겠느냐
12:26 And if Satan sends out Satan, he makes war against himself; how then will he keep
his kingdom?
12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall
then his kingdom stand?
12:27 또 내가 바알세불을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내면 너희 아들들은 누구를 힘입어
쫓아내느냐 그러므로 저희가 너희 재판관이 되리라
12:27 And if I by Beelzebub send evil spirits out of men, by whom do your sons send them
out? So let them be your judges.
12:27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast
them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
12:28 그러나 내가 하나님의 성령을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내는 것이면 하나님의
나라가 이미 너희에게 임하였느니라
12:28 But if I by the Spirit of God send out evil spirits, then is the kingdom of God
come on you.
12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God, then the
kingdom of God has come unto you.
12:29 사람이 먼저 강한 자를 결박하지 않고야 어떻게 그 강한 자의 집에 들어가
그 세간을 늑탈하겠느냐 결박한 후에야 그 집을 늑탈하리라
12:29 Or how may one go into a strong man's house and take his goods, if he does not first
put cords round the strong man? and then he may take his goods.
12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his
goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
12:30 나와 함께 아니하는 자는 나를 반대하는 자요 나와 함께 모으지 아니하는
자는 헤치는 자니라
12:30 Whoever is not with me is against me; and he who does not take part with me in getting
people together, is driving them away.
12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with
me scatters abroad.
12:31 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 사람의 모든 죄와 훼방은 사하심을 얻되
성령을 훼방하는 것은 사하심을 얻지 못하겠고
12:31 So I say to you, Every sin and every evil word against God will have forgiveness;
but for evil words against the Spirit there will be no forgiveness.
12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be
forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) shall
not be forgiven unto men.
12:32 또 누구든지 말로 인자를 거역하면 사하심을 얻되 누구든지 말로 성령을
거역하면 이 세상과 오는 세상에도 사하심을 얻지 못하리라
12:32 And whoever says a word against the Son of man, will have forgiveness; but whoever
says a word against the Holy Spirit, will not have forgiveness in this life or in
that which is to come.
12:32 And whosoever speaks a word (o. logos) against the Son of man, it shall
be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) it
shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
12:33 나무도 좋고 실과도 좋다 하든지 나무도 좋지 않고 실과도 좋지 않다 하든지
하라 그 실과로 나무를 아느니라
12:33 Make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad;
for by its fruit you will get knowledge of the tree.
12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree
corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
12:34 독사의 자식들아 너희는 악하니 어떻게 선한 말을 할 수 있느냐 이는 마음에
가득한 것을 입으로 말함이라
12:34 You offspring of snakes, how are you, being evil, able to say good things? because
out of the heart's store come the words of the mouth.
12:34 O generation of vipers, how can all of you, being evil, speak good
things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
12:35 선한 사람은 그 쌓은 선에서 선한 것을 내고 악한 사람은 그 쌓은 악에서
악한 것을 내느니라
12:35 The good man out of his good store gives good things; and the evil man out of his
evil store gives evil things.
12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good
things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
12:36 내가 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 무슨 무익한 말을 하든지 심판 날에 이에
대하여 심문을 받으리니
12:36 And I say to you that in the day when they are judged, men will have to give an
account of every foolish word they have said.
12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word (o. rhema) that men shall
speak, they shall give account (o. logos) thereof in the day of judgment.
12:37 네 말로 의롭다 함을 받고 네 말로 정죄함을 받으리라
12:37 For by your words will your righteousness be seen, and by your words you will be
judged.
12:37 For by your words (o. logos) you shall be justified, and by your words
(o. logos) you shall be condemned.
12:38 ○ 그때에 서기관과 바리새인 중 몇 사람이 말하되 선생님이여 우리에게
표적 보여 주시기를 원하나이다
12:38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees, hearing this, said to him, Master, we are
looking for a sign from you.
12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying,
Master, we would see a sign from you.
12:39 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 악하고 음란한 세대가 표적을 구하나 선지자
요나의 표적 밖에는 보일 표적이 없느니라
12:39 But he, answering, said to them, An evil and false generation is looking for a sign;
and no sign will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah:
12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation
seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of
the prophet Jonas:
12:40 요나가 밤낮 사흘을 큰 물고기 뱃속에 있었던 것 같이 인자도 밤낮 사흘을
땅 속에 있으리라
12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so
will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly;
so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
12:41 심판 때에 니느웨 사람들이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그들이
요나의 전도를 듣고 회개하였음이어니와 요나보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있으며
12:41 The men of Nineveh will come up in the day of judging and give their decision against
this generation: because they were turned from their sins at the preaching of Jonah;
and now a greater than Jonah is here.
12:41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and
shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold,
a greater than Jonas is here.
12:42 심판 때에 남방 여왕이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그가 솔로몬의
지혜로운 말을 들으려고 땅 끝에서 왔음이어니와 솔로몬보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라
12:42 The queen of the South will come up in the day of judging and give her decision
against this generation: for she came from the ends of the earth to give ear to
the wisdom of Solomon; and now a greater than Solomon is here.
12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation,
and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to
hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
12:43 더러운 귀신이 사람에게서 나갔을 때에 물 없는 곳으로 다니며 쉬기를 구하되
얻지 못하고
12:43 But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of a man, goes through dry places looking
for rest, and getting it not.
12:43 When the unclean spirit (o. pneuma) is gone out of a man, he walks
through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
12:44 이에 가로되 내가 나온 내 집으로 돌아가리라 하고 와 보니 그 집이 비고
소제되고 수리 되었거늘
12:44 Then he says, I will go back into my house from which I came out; and when he comes,
he sees that there is no one in it, but that it has been made fair and clean.
12:44 Then he says, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and
when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.
12:45 이에 가서 저보다 더 악한 귀신 일곱을 데리고 들어가서 거하니 그 사람의
나중 형편이 전보다 더욱 심하게 되느니라 이 악한 세대가 또한 이렇게 되리라
12:45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits worse than himself, and they
go in and make it their living-place: and the last condition of that man is worse
than the first. Even so will it be with this evil generation.
12:45 Then goes he, and takes with himself seven other spirits (o. pneuma)
more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state
of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked
generation.
12:46 ○ 예수께서 무리에게 말씀하실 때에 그 모친과 동생들이 예수께 말하려고
밖에 섰더니
12:46 While he was still talking to the people, his mother and his brothers came, desiring
to have talk with him.
12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren
stood without, desiring to speak with him.
12:47 한 사람이 예수께 여짜오되 보소서 당신의 모친과 동생들이 당신께 말하려고
밖에 섰나이다 하니
12:47 And one said to him, See, your mother and your brothers are outside, desiring to
have talk with you.
12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, your mother and your brethren stand
without, desiring to speak with you.
12:48 말하던 사람에게 대답하여 가라사대 누가 내 모친이며 내 동생들이냐 하시고
12:48 But he in answer said to him who gave the news, Who is my mother and who are my
brothers?
12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother?
and who are my brethren?
12:49 손을 내밀어 제자들을 가리켜 가라사대 나의 모친과 나의 동생들을 보라
12:49 And he put out his hand to his disciples and said, See, my mother and my brothers!
12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold
my mother and my brethren!
12:50 누구든지 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 하는 자가 내 형제요 자매요
모친이니라 하시더라
12:50 For whoever does the pleasure of my Father in heaven, he is my brother, and sister,
and mother.
12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the
same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
13:1 그 날에 예수께서 집에서 나가사 바닷가에 앉으시매
13:1 On that day Jesus went out of the house and was seated by the seaside.
13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
13:2 큰 무리가 그에게로 모여 들거늘 예수께서 배에 올라가 앉으시고 온 무리는
해변에 섰더니
13:2 And great numbers of people came together to him, so that he got into a boat; and
the people took up their position by the sea.
13:2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went
into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
13:3 예수께서 비유로 여러 가지를 저희에게 말씀하여 가라사대 씨를 뿌리는 자가
뿌리러 나가서
13:3 And he gave them teaching in the form of a story, saying, A man went out to put
seed in the earth;
13:3 And he spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower
went forth to sow;
13:4 뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 새들이 와서 먹어 버렸고
13:4 And while he did so, some seeds were dropped by the wayside, and the birds came
and took them for food:
13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came
and devoured them up:
13:5 더러는 흙이 얇은 돌밭에 떨어지매 흙이 깊지 아니하므로 곧 싹이 나오나
13:5 And some of the seed went among the stones, where it had not much earth, and straight
away it came up because the earth was not deep:
13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith
they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
13:6 해가 돋은 후에 타져서 뿌리가 없으므로 말랐고
13:6 And when the sun was high, it was burned; and because it had no root it became dry
and dead.
13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no
root, they withered away.
13:7 더러는 가시떨기 위에 떨어지매 가시가 자라서 기운을 막았고
13:7 And some seeds went among thorns, and the thorns came up and they had no room for
growth:
13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
13:8 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 혹 백 배, 혹 육십 배, 혹 삼십 배의 결실을
하였느니라
13:8 And some, falling on good earth, gave fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty
times as much.
13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold,
some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
13:9 귀 있는 자는 들으라 하시니라
13:9 He who has ears, let him give ear.
13:9 Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
13:10 ○ 제자들이 예수께 나아와 가로되 어찌하여 저희에게 비유로 말씀하시나이까
13:10 And the disciples came and said to him, Why do you say things to them in the form
of stories?
13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them
in parables?
13:11 대답하여 가라사대 천국의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 저희에게는
아니되었나니
13:11 And he said to them in answer, To you is given the knowledge of the secrets of the
kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
13:12 무릇 있는 자는 받아 넉넉하게 되되 무릇 없는 자는 그 있는 것도 빼앗기리라
13:12 Because whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have more; but from him who
has not, even what he has will be taken away.
13:12 For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance:
but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.
13:13 그러므로 내가 저희에게 비유로 말하기는 저희가 보아도 보지 못하며 들어도
듣지 못하며 깨닫지 못함이니라
13:13 For this reason I put things into the form of stories; because they see without
seeing, and give ear without hearing, and the sense is not clear to them.
13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not;
and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
13:14 이사야의 예언이 저희에게 이루었으니 일렀으되 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지
못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라
13:14 And for them the words of Isaiah have come true, Though you give ear, you will not
get knowledge; and seeing, you will see, but the sense will not be clear to you:
13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing
all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall
see, and shall not perceive:
13:15 이 백성들의 마음이 완악하여져서 그 귀는 듣기에 둔하고 눈은 감았으니
이는 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨달아 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받을까 두려워함이라
하였느니라
13:15 For the heart of this people has become fat and their ears are slow in hearing and
their eyes are shut; for fear that they might see with their eyes and give hearing
with their ears and become wise in their hearts and be turned again to me, so that
I might make them well.
13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with
their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart,
and should be converted, and I should heal them.
13:16 그러나 너희 눈은 봄으로 너희 귀는 들음으로 복이 있도다
13:16 But a blessing be on your eyes, because they see; and on your ears, because they
are open.
13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
13:17 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 많은 선지자와 의인이 너희 보는 것들을
보고자 하여도 보지 못하였고 너희 듣는 것들을 듣고자 하여도 듣지 못하였느니라
13:17 For truly, I say to you that prophets and upright men had a desire to see the things
which you see, and saw them not; and to have knowledge of the words which have come
to your ears, and they had it not.
13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have
desired to see those things which all of you see, and have not seen them; and
to hear those things which all of you hear, and have not heard them.
13:18 그런즉 씨 뿌리는 비유를 들으라
13:18 Give ear, then, to the story of the man who put the seed in the earth.
13:18 Hear all of you therefore the parable of the sower.
13:19 아무나 천국 말씀을 듣고 깨닫지 못할 때는 악한 자가 와서 그 마음에 뿌리운
것을 빼앗나니 이는 곧 길 가에 뿌리운 자요
13:19 When the word of the kingdom comes to anyone, and the sense of it is not clear to
him, then the Evil One comes, and quickly takes away that which was put in his heart.
He is the seed dropped by the wayside.
13:19 When any one hears the word (o. logos) of the kingdom, and understands
it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his
heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
13:20 돌밭에 뿌리웠다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 즉시 기쁨으로 받되
13:20 And that which went on the stones, this is he who, hearing the word, straight away
takes it with joy;
13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that
hears the word, (o. logos) and soon with joy receives it;
13:21 그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠시 견디다가 말씀을 인하여 환난이나 핍박이 일어나는
때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요
13:21 But having no root in himself, he goes on for a time; and when trouble comes or
pain, because of the word, he quickly becomes full of doubts.
13:21 Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation
or persecution arises because of the word, (o. logos) by and by he is offended.
13:22 가시떨기에 뿌리웠다는 것은 말씀을 들으나 세상의 염려와 재리의 유혹에
말씀이 막혀 결실치 못하는 자요
13:22 And that which was dropped among the thorns, this is he who has the word; and the
cares of this life, and the deceits of wealth, put a stop to the growth of the word
and it gives no fruit.
13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word;
(o. logos) and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke
the word, (o. logos) and he becomes unfruitful.
13:23 좋은 땅에 뿌리웠다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 깨닫는 자니 결실하여 혹 백 배,
혹 육십 배, 혹 삼십 배가 되느니라 하시더라
13:23 And the seed which was put in good earth, this is he who gives ear to the word,
and gets the sense of it; who gives fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty
times as much.
13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the
word, (o. logos) and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth,
some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
13:24 예수께서 그들 앞에 또 비유를 베풀어 가라사대 천국은 좋은 씨를 제 밭에
뿌린 사람과 같으니
13:24 And he gave them another story, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who
put good seed in his field:
13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
13:25 사람들이 잘 때에 그 원수가 와서 곡식 가운데 가라지를 덧뿌리고 갔더니
13:25 But while men were sleeping, one who had hate for him came and put evil seeds among
the grain, and went away.
13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat,
and went his way.
13:26 싹이 나고 결실할 때에 가라지도 보이거늘
13:26 But when the green stem came up and gave fruit, the evil plants were seen at the
same time.
13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared
the tares also.
13:27 집 주인의 종들이 와서 말하되 주여 밭에 좋은 씨를 심지 아니하였나이까
그러면 가라지가 어디서 생겼나이까
13:27 And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, Sir, did you not
put good seed in your field? how then has it evil plants?
13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did
not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares?
13:28 주인이 가로되 원수가 이렇게 하였구나 종들이 말하되 그러면 우리가 가서
이것을 뽑기를 원하시나이까
13:28 And he said, Someone has done this in hate. And the servants say to him, Is it your
pleasure that we go and take them up?
13:28 He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him,
Will you then that we go and gather them up?
13:29 주인이 가로되 가만 두어라 가라지를 뽑다가 곡식까지 뽑을까 염려하노라
13:29 But he says, No, for fear that by chance while you take up the evil plants, you
may be rooting up the grain with them.
13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while all of you gather up the tares, all of
you root up also the wheat with them.
13:30 둘 다 추수 때까지 함께 자라게 두어라 추수 때에 내가 추숫군들에게 말하기를
가라지는 먼저 거두어 불사르게 단으로 묶고 곡식은 모아 내 곳간에 넣으라 하리라
13:30 Let them come up together till the getting in of the grain; and then I will say
to the workers, Take up first the evil plants, and put them together for burning:
but put the grain into my store-house.
13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest
I will say to the reapers, Gather all of you together first the tares, and bind
them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
13:31 ○ 또 비유를 베풀어 가라사대 천국은 마치 사람이 자기 밭에 갖다 심은
겨자씨 한 알 같으니
13:31 He put another story before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain
of mustard seed which a man took and put in his field:
13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
13:32 이는 모든 씨보다 작은 것이로되 자란 후에는 나물보다 커서 나무가 되매
공중의 새들이 와서 그 가지에 깃들이느니라
13:32 Which is smaller than all seeds; but when it has come up it is greater than the
plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and make their resting-places
in its branches.
13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is
the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come
and lodge in the branches thereof.
13:33 ○ 또 비유로 말씀하시되 천국은 마치 여자가 가루 서 말 속에 갖다 넣어
전부 부풀게 한 누룩과 같으니라
13:33 Another story he gave to them: The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman
took, and put in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
13:33 Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto
leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole
was leavened.
13:34 ○ 예수께서 이 모든 것을 무리에게 비유로 말씀하시고 비유가 아니면 아무
것도 말씀하지 아니하셨으니
13:34 All these things Jesus said to the people in the form of stories; and without a
story he said nothing to them:
13:34 All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without
a parable spoke he not unto them:
13:35 이는 선지자로 말씀하신 바 내가 입을 열어 비유로 말하고 창세부터
감추인 것들을 드러내리라 함을 이루려 하심이니라
13:35 That it might come true which was said by the prophet, Opening my mouth, I will
give out stories; I will give knowledge of things kept secret from before all time.
13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret
from the foundation of the world.
13:36 ○ 이에 예수께서 무리를 떠나사 집에 들어가시니 제자들이 나아와 가로되
밭의 가라지의 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주소서
13:36 Then he went away from the people, and went into the house; and his disciples came
to him, saying, Make clear to us the story of the evil plants in the field.
13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his
disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of
the field.
13:37 대답하여 가라사대 좋은 씨를 뿌리는 이는 인자요
13:37 And he made answer and said, He who puts the good seed in the earth is the Son of
man;
13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son
of man;
13:38 밭은 세상이요 좋은 씨는 천국의 아들들이요 가라지는 악한 자의 아들들이요
13:38 And the field is the world; and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom; and the
evil seeds are the sons of the Evil One;
13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
13:39 가라지를 심은 원수는 마귀요 추수 때는 세상 끝이요 추숫군은 천사들이니
13:39 And he who put them in the earth is Satan; and the getting in of the grain is the
end of the world; and those who get it in are the angels.
13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the
world; and the reapers are the angels.
13:40 그런즉 가라지를 거두어 불에 사르는 것 같이 세상 끝에도 그러하리라
13:40 As then the evil plants are got together and burned with fire, so will it be in
the end of the world.
13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall
it be in the end of this world.
13:41 인자가 그 천사들을 보내리니 저희가 그 나라에서 모든 넘어지게 하는 것과
또 불법을 행하는 자들을 거두어 내어
13:41 The Son of man will send out his angels, and they will take out of his kingdom everything
which is a cause of error, and all those who do wrong,
13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out
of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
13:42 풀무 불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라
13:42 And will put them into the fire; there will be weeping and cries of sorrow.
13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
13:43 그때에 의인들은 자기 아버지 나라에서 해와 같이 빛나리라 귀 있는 자는
들으라
13:43 Then will the upright be shining as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who
has ears, let him give ear.
13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their
Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
13:44 ○ 천국은 마치 밭에 감추인 보화와 같으니 사람이 이를 발견한 후 숨겨
두고 기뻐하여 돌아가서 자기의 소유를 다 팔아 그 밭을 샀느니라
13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like a secret store of wealth in a field, which a man came
across and put back again; and in his joy he goes and gives all he has, to get that
field.
13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells
all that he has, and buys that field.
13:45 ○ 또 천국은 마치 좋은 진주를 구하는 장사와 같으니
13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a trader searching for beautiful jewels.
13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly
pearls:
13:46 극히 값진 진주 하나를 만나매 가서 자기의 소유를 다 팔아 그 진주를 샀느니라
13:46 And having come across one jewel of great price, he went and gave all he had in
exchange for it.
13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all
that he had, and bought it.
13:47 ○ 또 천국은 마치 바다에 치고 각종 물고기를 모는 그물과 같으니
13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net, which was put into the sea and took
in every sort of fish:
13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into
the sea, and gathered of every kind:
13:48 그물에 가득하매 물 가로 끌어 내고 앉아서 좋은 것은 그릇에 담고 못된
것은 내어 버리느니라
13:48 When it was full, they took it up on the sands; and seated there they put the good
into vessels, but the bad they put away.
13:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered
the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
13:49 세상 끝에도 이러하리라 천사들이 와서 의인 중에서 악인을 갈라 내어
13:49 So will it be in the end of the world: the angels will come and take out the bad
from the good,
13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth,
and sever the wicked from among the just,
13:50 풀무 불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라
13:50 And will put them into the fire: there will be weeping and cries of sorrow.
13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
13:51 ○ 이 모든 것을 깨달았느냐 하시니 대답하되 그러하오이다
13:51 Are all these things now clear to you? They say to him, Yes.
13:51 Jesus says unto them, Have all of you understood all these things?
They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
13:52 예수께서 가라사대 그러므로 천국의 제자된 서기관마다 마치 새 것과 옛
것을 그 곳간에서 내어오는 집주인과 같으니라
13:52 And he said to them, For this reason every scribe who has become a disciple of the
kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house, who gives out from his store things
new and old.
13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed
unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which
brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
13:53 ○ 예수께서 이 모든 비유를 마치신 후에 거기를 떠나서
13:53 And when Jesus had come to the end of these stories he went away from there.
13:53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he
departed thence.
13:54 고향으로 돌아가사 저희 회당에서 가르치시니 저희가 놀라 가로되 이 사람의
이 지혜와 이런 능력이 어디서 났느뇨
13:54 And coming into his country, he gave them teaching in their Synagogue, so that they
were greatly surprised and said, Where did this man get this wisdom and these works
of power?
13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their
synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence has this man
this wisdom, and these mighty works?
13:55 이는 그 목수의 아들이 아니냐 그 모친은 마리아, 그 형제들은 야고보,
요셉, 시몬, 유다라 하지 않느냐
13:55 Is not this the woodworker's son? is not his mother named Mary? and his brothers
James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and
his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
13:56 그 누이들은 다 우리와 함께 있지 아니하냐 그런즉 이 사람의 이 모든 것이
어디서 났느뇨 하고
13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? from where, then, has he all these things?
13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then has this man
all these things?
13:57 예수를 배척한지라 예수께서 저희에게 말씀하시되 선지자가 자기 고향과
자기 집 외에서는 존경을 받지 않음이 없느니라 하시고
13:57 And they were bitter against him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is nowhere without
honour but in his country and among his family.
13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet
is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
13:58 저희의 믿지 않음을 인하여 거기서 많은 능력을 행치 아니하시니라
13:58 And the works of power which he did there were small in number because they had
no faith.
13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
14:1 그때에 분봉 왕 헤롯이 예수의 소문을 듣고
14:1 At that time news of Jesus came to Herod the king;
14:1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
14:2 그 신하들에게 이르되 이는 세례 요한이라 저가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아났으니
그러므로 이런 권능이 그 속에서 운동하는도다 하더라
14:2 And he said to his servants, This is John the Baptist; he has come back from the
dead, and so these powers are working in him.
14:2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he has risen from
the dead; and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.
14:3 전에 헤롯이 그 동생 빌립의 아내 헤로디아의 일로 요한을 잡아 결박하여
옥에 가두었으니
14:3 For Herod had taken John and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother
Philip's wife.
14:3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison
for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
14:4 이는 요한이 헤롯에게 말하되 당신이 그 여자를 취한 것이 옳지 않다 하였음이라
14:4 Because John had said to him, It is not right for you to have her.
14:4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for you to have her.
14:5 헤롯이 요한을 죽이려 하되 민중이 저를 선지자로 여기므로 민중을 두려워하더니
14:5 And he would have put him to death, but for his fear of the people, because in their
eyes John was a prophet.
14:5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because
they counted him as a prophet.
14:6 마침 헤롯의 생일을 당하여 헤로디아의 딸이 연석 가운데서 춤을 추어 헤롯을
기쁘게 하니
14:6 But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias was dancing before them,
and Herod was pleased with her.
14:6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced
before them, and pleased Herod.
14:7 헤롯이 맹세로 그에게 무엇이든지 달라는 대로 주겠다 허락하거늘
14:7 So he gave her his word with an oath to let her have whatever she might make request
for.
14:7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would
ask.
14:8 그가 제 어미의 시킴을 듣고 가로되 세례 요한의 머리를 소반에 담아 여기서
내게 주소서 하니
14:8 And she, at her mother's suggestion, said, Give me here on a plate the head of John
the Baptist.
14:8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John
Baptist's head in a charger.
14:9 왕이 근심하나 자기의 맹세한 것과 그 함께 앉은 사람들을 인하여 주라 명하고
14:9 And the king was sad; but because of his oaths and because of his guests, he gave
the order for it to be given to her;
14:9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which
sat with him at food, he commanded it to be given her.
14:10 사람을 보내어 요한을 옥에서 목 베어
14:10 And he sent and had John's head cut off in the prison.
14:10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
14:11 그 머리를 소반에 담아다가 그 여아에게 주니 그가 제 어미에게 가져가니라
14:11 And his head was put on a plate and given to the girl; and she took it to her mother.
14:11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and
she brought it to her mother.
14:12 요한의 제자들이 와서 시체를 가져다가 장사하고 가서 예수께 고하니라
14:12 And his disciples came, and took up his body and put it in the earth; and they went
and gave Jesus news of what had taken place.
14:12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went
and told Jesus.
14:13 ○ 예수께서 들으시고 배를 타고 떠나사 따로 빈 들에 가시니 무리가 듣고
여러 고을로부터 걸어서 좇아간지라
14:13 Now when it came to the ears of Jesus, he went away from there in a boat, to a waste
place by himself: and the people hearing of it, went after him on foot from the
towns.
14:13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place
apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out
of the cities.
14:14 예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고 불쌍히 여기사 그 중에 있는 병인을
고쳐 주시니라
14:14 And he came out and saw a great number of people and he had pity on them, and made
well those of them who were ill.
14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with
compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
14:15 저녁이 되매 제자들이 나아와 가로되 이곳은 빈 들이요 때도 이미 저물었으니
무리를 보내어 마을에 들어가 먹을 것을 사 먹게 하소서
14:15 And when evening had come, the disciples came to him, saying, This place is waste
land, and the time is now past; send the people away so that they may go into the
towns and get themselves food.
14:15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is
a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they
may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
14:16 예수께서 가라사대 갈 것 없다 너희가 먹을 것을 주어라
14:16 But Jesus said to them, There is no need for them to go away; give them food yourselves.
14:16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give all of you them
to eat.
14:17 제자들이 가로되 여기 우리에게 있는 것은 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리
뿐이니이다
14:17 And they say to him, We have here but five cakes of bread and two fishes.
14:17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
14:18 가라사대 그것을 내게 가져오라 하시고
14:18 And he said, Give them to me.
14:18 He said, Bring them here to me.
14:19 무리를 명하여 잔디 위에 앉히시고 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 가지사
하늘을 우러러 축사하시고 떡을 떼어 제자들에게 주시매 제자들이 무리에게 주니
14:19 And he gave orders for the people to be seated on the grass; and he took the five
cakes of bread and the two fishes and, looking up to heaven, he said words of blessing,
and made division of the food, and gave it to the disciples, and the disciples gave
it to the people.
14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the
five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake,
and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
14:20 다 배불리 먹고 남은 조각을 열 두 바구니에 차게 거두었으며
14:20 And they all took of the food and had enough: and they took up twelve baskets full
of broken bits which were not used.
14:20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments
that remained twelve baskets full.
14:21 먹은 사람은 여자와 아이 외에 오천 명이나 되었더라
14:21 And those who had food were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.
14:21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women
and children.
14:22 ○ 예수께서 즉시 제자들을 재촉하사 자기가 무리를 보내는 동안에 배를
타고 앞서 건너편으로 가게 하시고
14:22 And straight away he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the
other side, till he had sent the people away.
14:22 And immediately Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship,
and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
14:23 무리를 보내신 후에 기도하러 따로 산에 올라가시다 저물매 거기 혼자 계시더니
14:23 And after he had sent the people away, he went up into the mountain by himself for
prayer: and when evening was come, he was there by himself.
14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain
apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
14:24 배가 이미 육지에서 수 리나 떠나서 바람이 거슬리므로 물결을 인하여 고난을
당하더라
14:24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, and was troubled by the waves: for
the wind was against them.
14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for
the wind was contrary.
14:25 밤 사경에 예수께서 바다 위로 걸어서 제자들에게 오시니
14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.
14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking
on the sea.
14:26 제자들이 그 바다 위로 걸어오심을 보고 놀라 유령이라 하며 무서워하여
소리 지르거늘
14:26 And when they saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit;
and they gave cries of fear.
14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled,
saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
14:27 예수께서 즉시 일러 가라사대 안심하라 내니 두려워 말라
14:27 But straight away Jesus said to them, Take heart; it is I, have no fear.
14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it
is I; be not afraid.
14:28 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 주여 만일 주시어든 나를 명하사 물 위로 오라
하소서 한 대
14:28 And Peter, answering, said to him, Lord, if it is you, give me the order to come
to you on the water.
14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be you, bid me come unto
you on the water.
14:29 오라 하시니 베드로가 배에서 내려 물 위로 걸어서 예수께로 가되
14:29 And he said, Come. And Peter got out of the boat, and walking on the water, went
to Jesus.
14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he
walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
14:30 바람을 보고 무서워 빠져 가는지라 소리 질러 가로되 주여 나를 구원하소서
하니
14:30 But when he saw the wind he was in fear and, starting to go down, he gave a cry,
saying, Help, Lord.
14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to
sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
14:31 예수께서 즉시 손을 내밀어 저를 붙잡으시며 가라사대 믿음이 적은 자여
왜 의심하였느냐 하시고
14:31 And straight away Jesus put out his hand and took a grip of him, and said to him,
O man of little faith, why were you in doubt?
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and
said unto him, O you of little faith, wherefore did you doubt?
14:32 배에 함께 오르매 바람이 그치는지라
14:32 And when they had got into the boat, the wind went down.
14:32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
14:33 배에 있는 사람들이 예수께 절하며 가로되 진실로 하나님의 아들이로소이다
하더라
14:33 And those who were in the boat gave him worship, saying, Truly you are the Son of
God.
14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Truthfully
you are the Son of God.
14:34 ○ 저희가 건너가 게네사렛 땅에 이르니
14:34 And when they had gone across, they came to land at Gennesaret.
14:34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
14:35 그 곳 사람들이 예수신 줄을 알고 그 근방에 두루 통지하여 모든 병든 자를
예수께 데리고 와서
14:35 And when the men of that place had news of him, they sent into all the country round
about, and took to him all who were ill,
14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out
into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
14:36 다만 예수의 옷가에라도 손을 대게 하시기를 간구하니 손을 대는 자는 다
나음을 얻으니라
14:36 With the request that they might only put their hands on the edge of his robe: and
all those who did so were made well.
14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment:
and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
15:1 그때에 바리새인과 서기관들이 예루살렘으로부터 예수께 나아와 가로되
15:1 Then there came to Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes, saying,
15:1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
15:2 당신의 제자들이 어찌하여 장로들의 유전을 범하나이까 떡 먹을 때에 손을
씻지 아니하나이다
15:2 Why do your disciples go against the teaching of the fathers? for they take food
with unwashed hands.
15:2 Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they
wash not their hands when they eat bread.
15:3 대답하여 가라사대 너희는 어찌하여 너희 유전으로 하나님의 계명을 범하느뇨
15:3 And in answer he said to them, Why do you, yourselves, go against the word of God
on account of the teaching which has been handed down to you?
15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do all of you also transgress
the commandment of God by your tradition?
15:4 하나님이 이르셨으되 네 부모를 공경하라 하시고 또 아비나 어미를 훼방하는
자는 반드시 죽으리라 하셨거늘
15:4 For God said, Give honour to your father and mother: and, He who says evil of father
or mother will be put to death.
15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour your father and mother: and, He that
curses father or mother, let him die the death.
15:5 너희는 가로되 누구든지 아비에게나 어미에게 말하기를 내가 드려 유익하게
할 것이 하나님께 드림이 되었다고 하기만 하면
15:5 But you say, If a man says to his father or his mother, That by which you might
have had profit from me is given to God;
15:5 But all of you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother,
It is a gift, by whatsoever you might be profited by me;
15:6 그 부모를 공경할 것이 없다 하여 너희 유전으로 하나님의 말씀을 폐하는도다
15:6 There is no need for him to give honour to his father. And you have made the word
of God without effect because of your teaching.
15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have
all of you made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
15:7 외식하는 자들아 이사야가 너희에게 대하여 잘 예언하였도다 일렀으되
15:7 You false ones, well did Isaiah say of you,
15:7 All of you hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
15:8 이 백성이 입술로는 나를 존경하되 마음은 내게서 멀도다
15:8 These people give me honour with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
15:8 This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with
their lips; but their heart is far from me.
15:9 사람의 계명으로 교훈을 삼아 가르치니 나를 헛되이 경배하는도다
하였느니라 하시고
15:9 But their worship is to no purpose, while they give as their teaching the rules
of men.
15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments
of men.
15:10 무리를 불러 이르시되 듣고 깨달으라
15:10 And he got the people together and said to them, Give ear, and let my words be clear
to you:
15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
15:11 입에 들어가는 것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이 아니라 입에서 나오는 그것이
사람을 더럽게 하는 것이니라
15:11 Not that which goes into the mouth makes a man unclean, but that which comes out
of the mouth.
15:11 Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes
out of the mouth, this defiles a man.
15:12 이에 제자들이 나아와 가로되 바리새인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 걸림이 된 줄
아시나이까
15:12 Then the disciples came and said to him, Did you see that the Pharisees were troubled
when these words came to their ears?
15:12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Know you that the Pharisees
were offended, after they heard this saying? (o. logos)
15:13 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 심은 것마다 내 천부께서 심으시지 않은 것은
뽑힐 것이니
15:13 But he said in answer, Every plant which my Father in heaven has not put in the
earth, will be taken up by the roots.
15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father has
not planted, shall be rooted up.
15:14 그냥 두어라 저희는 소경이 되어 소경을 인도하는 자로다 만일 소경이 소경을
인도하면 둘이 다 구덩이에 빠지리라 하신대
15:14 Let them be: they are blind guides. And if a blind man is guiding a blind man, the
two will go falling into a hole together.
15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind
lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15:15 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 이 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주옵소서
15:15 Then Peter said to him, Make the story clear to us.
15:15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
15:16 예수께서 가라사대 너희도 아직까지 깨달음이 없느냐
15:16 And he said, Are you, like them, still without wisdom?
15:16 And Jesus said, Are all of you also yet without understanding?
15:17 입으로 들어가는 모든 것은 배로 들어가서 뒤로 내어 버려지는 줄을 알지
못하느냐
15:17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth goes on into the stomach, and is
sent out as waste?
15:17 Do not all of you yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the
mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
15:18 입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오나니 이것이야말로 사람을 더럽게 하느니라
15:18 But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart; and they make a
man unclean.
15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the
heart; and they defile the man.
15:19 마음에서 나오는 것은 악한 생각과 살인과 간음과 음란과 도적질과 거짓
증거와 훼방이니
15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, the taking of life, broken faith between
the married, unclean desires of the flesh, taking of property, false witness, bitter
words:
15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications,
thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
15:20 이런 것들이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이요 씻지 않은 손으로 먹는 것은 사람을
더럽게 하지 못하느니라
15:20 These are the things which make a man unclean; but to take food with unwashed hands
does not make a man unclean.
15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands
defiles not a man.
15:21 ○ 예수께서 거기서 나가사 두로와 시돈 지방으로 들어가시니
15:21 And Jesus went away from there into the country of Tyre and Sidon.
15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22 가나안 여자 하나가 그 지경에서 나와서 소리 질러 가로되 주 다윗의 자손이여
나를 불쌍히 여기소서 내 딸이 흉악히 귀신 들렸나이다 하되
15:22 And a woman of Canaan came out from those parts, crying and saying, Have pity on
me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is greatly troubled with an unclean spirit.
15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried
unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil.
15:23 예수는 한 말씀도 대답지 아니하시니 제자들이 와서 청하여 말하되 그 여자가
우리 뒤에서 소리를 지르오니 보내소서
15:23 But he gave her no answer. And his disciples came and said to him, Send her away,
for she is crying after us.
15:23 But he answered her not a word. (o. logos) And his disciples came and
besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us.
15:24 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 나는 이스라엘 집의 잃어버린 양 외에는 다른
데로
보내심을 받지 아니하였노라 하신대
15:24 But he made answer and said, I was sent only to the wandering sheep of the house
of Israel.
15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of
the house of Israel.
15:25 여자가 와서 예수께 절하며 가로되 주여 저를 도우소서
15:25 But she came and gave him worship, saying, Help, Lord.
15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
15:26 대답하여 가라사대 자녀의 떡을 취하여 개들에게 던짐이 마땅치 아니하니라
15:26 And he made answer and said, It is not right to take the children's bread and give
it to the dogs.
15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread,
and to cast it to dogs.
15:27 여자가 가로되 주여 옳소이다마는 개들도 제 주인의 상에서 떨어지는 부스러기를
먹나이다 하니
15:27 But she said, Yes, Lord: but even the dogs take the bits from under their masters'
table.
15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall
from their masters' table.
15:28 이에 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 여자야 네 믿음이 크도다 네 소원대로
되리라 하시니 그 시로부터 그의 딸이 나으니라
15:28 Then Jesus, answering, said to her, O woman, great is your faith: let your desire
be done. And her daughter was made well from that hour.
15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith:
be it unto you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very
hour.
15:29 ○ 예수께서 거기서 떠나사 갈릴리 호숫가에 이르러 산에 올라가 거기 앉으시니
15:29 And Jesus went from there and came to the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the
mountain, and took his seat there.
15:29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee;
and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
15:30 큰 무리가 절뚝발이와 불구자와 소경과 벙어리와 기타 여럿을 데리고 와서
예수의 발 앞에 두매 고쳐 주시니
15:30 And there came to him great numbers of people having with them those who were broken
in body, or blind, or without voice, or wounded, or ill in any way, and a number
of others; they put them down at his feet and he made them well:
15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were
lame, blind, dumb, physically disabled, and many others, and cast them down
at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
15:31 벙어리가 말하고 불구자가 건전하고 절뚝발이가 걸으며 소경이 보는 것을
무리가 보고 기이히 여겨 이스라엘의 하나님께 영광을 돌리니라
15:31 So that the people were full of wonder when they saw that those who had no voice
were talking, the feeble were made strong, those whose bodies were broken had the
power of walking, and the blind were able to see: and they gave glory to the God
of Israel.
15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak,
the physically disabled to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see:
and they glorified the God of Israel.
15:32 ○ 예수께서 제자들을 불러 가라사대 내가 무리를 불쌍히 여기노라 저희가
나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이매 먹을 것이 없도다 길에서 기진할까 하여 굶겨 보내지
못하겠노라
15:32 And Jesus got his disciples together and said, I have pity for the people, because
they have now been with me three days and have no food: and I will not send them
away without food, or they will have no strength for the journey.
15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion
on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing
to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
15:33 제자들이 가로되 광야에 있어 우리가 어디서 이런 무리의 배부를 만큼 떡을
얻으리이까
15:33 And the disciples say to him, How may we get enough bread in a waste place, to give
food to such a number of people?
15:33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread
in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
15:34 예수께서 가라사대 너희에게 떡이 몇 개나 있느냐 가로되 일곱 개와 작은
생선 두어 마리가 있나이다 하거늘
15:34 And Jesus says to them, How much bread have you? And they said, Seven cakes, and
some small fishes.
15:34 And Jesus says unto them, How many loaves have all of you? And they
said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
15:35 예수께서 무리를 명하사 땅에 앉게 하시고
15:35 Then he gave an order to the people to be seated on the earth,
15:35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
15:36 떡 일곱 개와 그 생선을 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주시니 제자들이
무리에게 주매
15:36 And he took the seven cakes of bread and the fishes; and having given praise, he
gave the broken bread to the disciples, and the disciples gave it to the people.
15:36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake
them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
15:37 다 배불리 먹고 남은 조각을 일곱 광주리에 차게 거두었으며
15:37 And they all took food, and had enough; and they took up of the broken bits, seven
baskets full.
15:37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken
food that was left seven baskets full.
15:38 먹은 자는 여자와 아이 외에 사천 명이었더라
15:38 And there were four thousand men who took food, together with women and children.
15:38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
15:39 예수께서 무리를 흩어 보내시고 배에 오르사 마가단 지경에 가시니라
15:39 And when he had sent the people away, he got into the boat, and came into the country
of Magadan.
15:39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts
of Magdala.
16:1 바리새인과 사두개인들이 와서 예수를 시험하여 하늘로서 오는 표적 보이기를
청하니
16:1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees came and, testing him, made a request to him to
give them a sign from heaven.
16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him
that he would show them a sign from heaven.
16:2 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 너희가 저녁에 하늘이 붉으면 날이 좋겠다 하고
16:2 But in answer he said to them, At nightfall you say, The weather will be good, for
the sky is red.
16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, all of you say,
It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
16:3 아침에 하늘이 붉고 흐리면 오늘은 날이 궂겠다 하나니 너희가 천기는 분별할
줄 알면서 시대의 표적은 분별할 수 없느냐
16:3 And in the morning, The weather will be bad today, for the sky is red and angry.
You are able to see the face of heaven, but not the signs of the times.
16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red
and lowering. O all of you hypocrites, all of you can discern the face of the
sky; but can all of you not discern the signs of the times?
16:4 악하고 음란한 세대가 표적을 구하나 요나의 표적 밖에는 보여 줄 표적이
없느니라 하시고 저희를 떠나 가시다
16:4 An evil and false generation is searching after a sign; and no sign will be given
to it but the sign of Jonah. And he went away from them.
16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall
no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them,
and departed.
16:5 ○ 제자들이 건너편으로 갈새 떡 가져가기를 잊었더니
16:5 And when the disciples came to the other side they had not taken thought to get
bread.
16:5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten
to take bread.
16:6 예수께서 이르시되 삼가 바리새인과 사두개인들의 누룩을 주의하라 하신대
16:6 And Jesus said to them, Take care to have nothing to do with the leaven of the Pharisees
and Sadducees.
16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the
Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
16:7 제자들이 서로 의논하여 가로되 우리가 떡을 가져오지 아니하였도다 하거늘
16:7 And they were reasoning among themselves, saying, We took no bread.
16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken
no bread.
16:8 예수께서 아시고 가라사대 믿음이 적은 자들아 어찌 떡이 없음으로 서로
의논하느냐
16:8 And Jesus, seeing it, said, O you of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves,
because you have no bread?
16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O all of you of little
faith, why reason all of you among yourselves, because all of you have brought
no bread?
16:9 너희가 아직도 깨닫지 못하느냐 떡 다섯 개로 오천 명을 먹이고 주운 것이
몇 바구니며
16:9 Do you still not see, or keep in mind the five cakes of bread of the five thousand,
and the number of baskets you took up?
16:9 Do all of you not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of
the five thousand, and how many baskets all of you took up?
16:10 떡 일곱 개로 사천 명을 먹이고 주운 것이 몇 광주리이던 것을 기억지 못하느냐
16:10 Or the seven cakes of bread of the four thousand, and the number of baskets you
took up?
16:10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets
all of you took up?
16:11 어찌 내 말한 것이 떡에 관함이 아닌 줄을 깨닫지 못하느냐 오직 바리새인과
사두개인들의 누룩을 주의하라 하시니
16:11 How is it that you do not see that I was not talking to you about bread, but about
keeping away from the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
16:11 How is it that all of you do not understand that I spoke it not to
you concerning bread, that all of you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees
and of the Sadducees?
16:12 그제야 제자들이 떡의 누룩이 아니요 바리새인과 사두개인들의 교훈을 삼가라고
말씀하신 줄을 깨달으니라
16:12 Then they saw that it was not the leaven of bread which he had in mind, but the
teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven
of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
16:13 ○ 예수께서 가이사랴 빌립보 지방에 이르러 제자들에게 물어 가라사대
사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐
16:13 Now when Jesus had come into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he said, questioning
his disciples, Who do men say that the Son of man is?
16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his
disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
16:14 가로되 더러는 세례 요한, 더러는 엘리야, 어떤이는 예레미야나 선지자
중의 하나라 하나이다
16:14 And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or
one of the prophets.
16:14 And they said, Some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elijah;
and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
16:15 가라사대 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐
16:15 He says to them, But who do you say that I am?
16:15 He says unto them, But whom say all of you that I am?
16:16 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다
16:16 And Simon Peter made answer and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living
God.
16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the
living God.
16:17 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 네게
알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라
16:17 And Jesus made answer and said to him, A blessing on you, Simon Bar-jonah: because
this knowledge has not come to you from flesh and blood, but from my Father in heaven.
16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in
heaven.
16:18 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니
음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라
16:18 And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and
the doors of hell will not overcome it.
16:18 And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
16:19 내가 천국 열쇠를 네게 주리니 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 매면 하늘에서도
매일 것이요 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 하시고
16:19 I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever is fixed by you
on earth will be fixed in heaven: and whatever you make free on earth will be made
free in heaven.
16:19 And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever
you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose
on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
16:20 이에 제자들을 경계하사 자기가 그리스도인 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라
하시니라
16:20 Then he gave orders to the disciples to give no man word that he was the Christ.
16:20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he
was Jesus the Christ.
16:21 ○ 이때로부터 예수 그리스도께서 자기가 예루살렘에 올라가 장로들과
대제사장들과 서기관들에게 많은 고난을 받고 죽임을 당하고 제 삼 일에 살아나야
할 것을 제자들에게 비로소 가르치시니
16:21 From that time Jesus went on to make clear to his disciples how he would have to
go up to Jerusalem, and undergo much at the hands of those in authority and the
chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and the third day come again from
the dead.
16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that
he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests
and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
16:22 베드로가 예수를 붙들고 간하여 가로되 주여 그리 마옵소서 이 일이 결코
주에게 미치지 아니하리이다
16:22 And Peter, protesting, said to him, Be it far from you, Lord; it is impossible that
this will come about.
16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from
you, Lord: this shall not be unto you.
16:23 예수께서 돌이키시며 베드로에게 이르시되 사단아 내 뒤로 물러 가라 너는
나를 넘어지게 하는 자로다 네가 하나님의 일을 생각지 아니하고 도리어 사람의 일을
생각하는도다 하시고
16:23 But he, turning to Peter, said, Get out of my way, Satan: you are a danger to me
because your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men.
16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are
an offence unto me: for you savour not the things that be of God, but those
that be of men.
16:24 이에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 아무든지 나를 따라 오려거든 자기를
부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 좇을 것이니라
16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him give up
all, and take up his cross, and come after me.
16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
16:25 누구든지 제 목숨을 구원코자 하면 잃을 것이요 누구든지 나를 위하여 제
목숨을 잃으면 찾으리라
16:25 Because whoever has a desire to keep his life safe will have it taken from him;
but whoever gives up his life because of me, will have it given back to him.
16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will
lose his life for my sake shall find it.
16:26 사람이 만일 온 천하를 얻고도 제 목숨을 잃으면 무엇이 유익하리요 사람이
무엇을 주고 제 목숨을 바꾸겠느냐
16:26 For what profit has a man, if he gets all the world with the loss of his life? or
what will a man give in exchange for his life?
16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose
his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
16:27 인자가 아버지의 영광으로 그 천사들과 함께 오리니 그때에 각 사람의
행한 대로 갚으리라
16:27 For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then
he will give to every man the reward of his works.
16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels;
and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
16:28 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 여기 섰는 사람 중에 죽기 전에 인자가 그 왕권을
가지고 오는 것을 볼 자들도 있느니라
16:28 Truly I say to you, There are some of those here who will not have a taste of death,
till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not
taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
17:1 엿새 후에 예수께서 베드로와 야고보와 그 형제 요한을 데리시고 따로 높은
산에 올라가셨더니
17:1 And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter, and James, and John, his brother,
and makes them go up with him into a high mountain by themselves.
17:1 And after six days Jesus takes Peter, James, and John his brother, and
brings them up into an high mountain apart,
17:2 저희 앞에서 변형되사 그 얼굴이 해 같이 빛나며 옷이 빛과 같이 희어졌더라
17:2 And he was changed in form before them; and his face was shining like the sun, and
his clothing became white as light.
17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun,
and his raiment was white as the light.
17:3 때에 모세와 엘리야가 예수로 더불어 말씀하는 것이 저희에게 보이거늘
17:3 And Moses and Elijah came before their eyes, talking with him.
17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with
him.
17:4 베드로가 예수께 여짜와 가로되 주여 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니 주께서
만일 원하시면 내가 여기서 초막 셋을 짓되 하나는 주를 위하여, 하나는 모세를 위하여,
하나는 엘리야를 위하여 하리이다
17:4 And Peter made answer and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if
you will let me, I will make here three tents, one for you, and one for Moses, and
one for Elijah.
17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to
be here: if you will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for you, and one
for Moses, and one for Elijah.
17:5 말할 때에 홀연히 빛난 구름이 저희를 덮으며 구름 속에서 소리가 나서 가로되
이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자니 너희는 저의 말을 들으라 하는지라
17:5 While he was still talking, a bright cloud came over them: and a voice out of the
cloud, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased; give ear
to him.
17:5 While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold
a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased; hear all of you him.
17:6 제자들이 듣고 엎드리어 심히 두려워하니
17:6 And at these words the disciples went down on their faces in great fear.
17:6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore
afraid.
17:7 예수께서 나아와 저희에게 손을 대시며 가라사대 일어나라 두려워 말라 하신대
17:7 And Jesus came and put his hand on them and said, Get up and have no fear.
17:7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
17:8 제자들이 눈을 들고 보매 오직 예수 외에는 아무도 보이지 아니하더라
17:8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, but Jesus only.
17:8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus
only.
17:9 ○ 저희가 산에서 내려올 때에 예수께서 명하여 가라사대 인자가 죽은 자
가운데서 살아나기 전에는 본 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니
17:9 And when they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus gave them orders, saying,
Let no man have word of what you have seen, till the Son of man has come again from
the dead.
17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying,
Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
17:10 제자들이 묻자와 가로되 그러면 어찌하여 서기관들이 엘리야가 먼저 와야
하리라 하나이까
17:10 And his disciples, questioning him, said, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah
has to come first?
17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that
Elijah must first come?
17:11 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 엘리야가 과연 먼저 와서 모든 일을 회복하리라
17:11 And in answer he said, Elijah truly has to come and put all things right:
17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come,
and restore all things.
17:12 내가 너희에게 말하노니 엘리야가 이미 왔으되 사람들이 알지 못하고 임의로
대우하였도다 인자도 이와 같이 그들에게 고난을 받으리라 하시니
17:12 But I say to you that Elijah has come, and they had no knowledge of him, but did
to him whatever they were pleased to do; the same will the Son of man undergo at
their hands.
17:12 But I say unto you, That Elijah has come already, and they knew him
not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the
Son of man suffer of them.
17:13 그제야 제자들이 예수의 말씀하신 것이 세례 요한인 줄을 깨달으니라
17:13 Then the disciples saw that he was talking to them of John the Baptist.
17:13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke unto them of John the Baptist.
17:14 ○ 저희가 무리에게 이르매 한 사람이 예수께 와서 꿇어 엎드리어 가로되
17:14 And when they came to the people, a man went down on his knees to him, saying,
17:14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain
man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
17:15 주여 내 아들을 불쌍히 여기소서 저가 간질로 심히 고생하여 자주 불에도
넘어지며 물에도 넘어지는지라
17:15 Lord have mercy on my son: for he is off his head, and is in great pain; and frequently
he goes falling into the fire, and frequently into the water.
17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for
frequently he falls into the fire, and often into the water.
17:16 내가 주의 제자들에게 데리고 왔으나 능히 고치지 못하더이다
17:16 And I took him to your disciples, and they were not able to make him well.
17:16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.
17:17 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 믿음이 없고 패역한 세대여 내가 얼마나 너희와
함께 있으며 얼마나 너희를 참으리요 그를 이리로 데려오라 하시다
17:17 And Jesus, answering, said, O false and foolish generation, how long will I be with
you? how long will I put up with you? let him come here to me.
17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation,
how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him here to
me.
17:18 이에 예수께서 꾸짖으시니 귀신이 나가고 아이가 그때부터 나으니라
17:18 And Jesus gave orders to the unclean spirit, and it went out of him: and the boy
was made well from that hour.
17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child
was cured from that very hour.
17:19 이때에 제자들이 종용히 예수께 나아와 가로되 우리는 어찌하여 쫓아내지
못하였나이까
17:19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, Why were we not able to send
it out?
17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we
cast him out?
17:20 가라사대 너희 믿음이 적은 연고니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가
만일 믿음이 한 겨자씨 만큼만 있으면 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮기라 하여도
옮길 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라
17:20 And he says to them, Because of your little faith: for truly I say to you, If you
have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Be moved from
this place to that; and it will be moved; and nothing will be impossible to you.
17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say
unto you, If all of you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, all of you shall
say unto this mountain, Remove behind to yonder place; and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

17:21 Nevertheless this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.
17:22 ○ 갈릴리에 모일 때에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 인자가 장차 사람들의
손에 넘기워
17:22 And while they were going about in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man will
be given up into the hands of men;
17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man
shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
17:23 죽임을 당하고 제 삼 일에 살아나리라 하시니 제자들이 심히 근심하더라
17:23 And they will put him to death, and the third day he will come again from the dead.
And they were very sad.
17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again.
And they were exceeding sorry.
17:24 가버나움에 이르니 반 세겔 받는 자들이 베드로에게 나아와 가로되 너의
선생이 반 세겔을 내지 아니하느냐
17:24 And when they had come to Capernaum, those who took the Temple tax came to Peter
and said, Does not your master make payment of the Temple tax?
17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money
came to Peter, and said, Does not your master pay tribute?
17:25 가로되 내신다 하고 집에 들어가니 예수께서 먼저 가라사대 시몬아 네 생각은
어떠하뇨 세상 임금들이 뉘게 관세와 정세를 받느냐 자기 아들에게냐 타인에게냐
17:25 He says, Yes. And when he came into the house, Jesus said to him, What is your opinion,
Simon? from whom do the kings of the earth get payment or tax? from their sons or
from other people?
17:25 He says, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented
him, saying, What think you, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom
or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
17:26 베드로가 가로되 타인에게니이다 예수께서 가라사대 그러하면 아들들은
세를 면하리라
17:26 And when he said, From other people, Jesus said to him, Then are the sons free.
17:26 Peter says unto him, Of strangers. Jesus says unto him, Then are the
children free.
17:27 그러나 우리가 저희로 오해케 하지 않기 위하여 네가 바다에 가서 낚시를
던져 먼저 오르는 고기를 가져 입을 열면 돈 한 세겔을 얻을 것이니 가져다가 나와
너를 위하여 주라 하시니라
17:27 But, so that we may not be a cause of trouble to them, go to the sea, and let down
a hook, and take the first fish which comes up; and in his mouth you will see a
bit of money: take that, and give it to them for me and you.
17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and
cast an hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened
his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for
me and you.
18:1 그때에 제자들이 예수께 나아와 가로되 천국에서는 누가 크니이까
18:1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is greatest in the kingdom
of heaven?
18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest
in the kingdom of heaven?
18:2 예수께서 한 어린 아이를 불러 저희 가운데 세우시고
18:2 And he took a little child, and put him in the middle of them,
18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of
them,
18:3 가라사대 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 돌이켜 어린 아이들과 같이 되지
아니하면 결단코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라
18:3 And said, Truly, I say to you, If you do not have a change of heart and become like
little children, you will not go into the kingdom of heaven.
18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except all of you be converted, and
become as little children, all of you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 그러므로 누구든지 이 어린 아이와 같이 자기를 낮추는 그이가 천국에서
큰 자니라
18:4 Whoever, then, will make himself as low as this little child, the same is the greatest
in the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same
is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
18:5 또 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 어린 아이 하나를 영접하면 곧 나를 영접함이니
18:5 And whoever gives honour to one such little child in my name, gives honour to me:
18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.
18:6 누구든지 나를 믿는 이 소자 중 하나를 실족케 하면 차라리 연자 맷돌을
그 목에 달리우고 깊은 바다에 빠뜨리우는 것이 나으니라
18:6 But whoever is a cause of trouble to one of these little ones who have faith in
me, it would be better for him to have a great stone fixed to his neck, and to come
to his end in the deep sea.
18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me,
it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that
he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
18:7 실족케 하는 일들이 있음을 인하여 세상에 화가 있도다 실족케 하는 일이
없을 수는 없으나 실족케 하는 그 사람에게는 화가 있도다
18:7 A curse is on the earth because of trouble! for it is necessary for trouble to come;
but unhappy is that man through whom the trouble comes.
18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must essentially be that
offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence comes!
18:8 만일 네 손이나 네 발이 너를 범죄케 하거든 찍어 내버리라 불구자나 절뚝발이로
영생에 들어가는 것이 두 손과 두 발을 가지고 영원한 불에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
18:8 And if your hand or your foot is a cause of trouble, let it be cut off and put it
away from you: it is better for you to go into life with the loss of a hand or a
foot than, having two hands or two feet, to go into the eternal fire.
18:8 Wherefore if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast
them from you: it is better for you to enter into life halt or physically disabled,
rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
18:9 만일 네 눈이 너를 범죄케 하거든 빼어 내버리라 한 눈으로 영생에 들어가는
것이 두 눈을 가지고 지옥 불에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
18:9 And if your eye is a cause of trouble to you, take it out, and put it away from
you: it is better for you to go into life with one eye than, having two eyes, to
go into the hell of fire.
18:9 And if yours eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: it
is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes
to be cast into hell fire.
18:10 삼가 이 소자 중에 하나도 업신여기지 말라 너희에게 말하노니 저희 천사들이
하늘에서 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 얼굴을 항상 뵈옵느니라
18:10 Let it not seem to you that one of these little ones is of no value; for I say to
you that in heaven their angels see at all times the face of my Father in heaven.
18:10 Take heed that all of you despise not one of these little ones; for
I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my
Father which is in heaven.

18:11 For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.
18:12 너희 생각에는 어떻겠느뇨 만일 어떤 사람이 양 일백 마리가 있는데 그
중에 하나가 길을 잃었으면 그 아흔 아홉 마리를 산에 두고 가서 길 잃은 양을 찾지
않겠느냐
18:12 What would you say now? if a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone wandering
away, will he not let the ninety-nine be, and go to the mountains in search of the
wandering one?
18:12 How think all of you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them
be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains,
and seeks that which is gone astray?
18:13 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 찾으면 길을 잃지 아니한 아흔 아홉 마리보다
이것을 더 기뻐하리라
18:13 And if he comes across it, truly I say to you, he has more joy over it than over
the ninety-nine which have not gone out of the way.
18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more
of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
18:14 이와 같이 이 소자 중에 하나라도 잃어지는 것은 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의
뜻이 아니니라
18:14 Even so it is not the pleasure of your Father in heaven for one of these little
ones to come to destruction.
18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that
one of these little ones should perish.
18:15 ○ 네 형제가 죄를 범하거든 가서 너와 그 사람과만 상대하여 권고하라
만일 들으면 네가 네 형제를 얻은 것이요
18:15 And if your brother does wrong to you, go, make clear to him his error between you
and him in private: if he gives ear to you, you have got your brother back again.
18:15 Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him
his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your
brother.
18:16 만일 듣지 않거든 한 두 사람을 데리고 가서 두 세 증인의 입으로 말마다
증참케 하라
18:16 But if he will not give ear to you, take with you one or two more, that by the lips
of two or three witnesses every word may be made certain.
18:16 But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that
in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word (o. rhema) may be established.
18:17 만일 그들의 말도 듣지 않거든 교회에 말하고 교회의 말도 듣지 않거든
이방인과 세리와 같이 여기라
18:17 And if he will not give ear to them, let it come to the hearing of the church: and
if he will not give ear to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax-farmer.
18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but
if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto you as an heathen man and
a publican.
18:18 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 무엇이든지 너희가 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일
것이요 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라
18:18 Truly I say to you, Whatever things are fixed by you on earth will be fixed in heaven:
and whatever you make free on earth will be made free in heaven.
18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall bind on earth shall
be bound in heaven: and whatsoever all of you shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
18:19 진실로 다시 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중에 두 사람이 땅에서 합심하여 무엇이든지
구하면 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 저희를 위하여 이루게 하시리라
18:19 Again, I say to you, that if two of you are in agreement on earth about anything
for which they will make a request, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as concerning
any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which
is in heaven.
18:20 두 세 사람이 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 그들 중에 있느니라
18:20 For where two or three are come together in my name, there am I among them.
18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I
in the midst of them.
18:21 ○ 그때에 베드로가 나아와 가로되 주여 형제가 내게 죄를 범하면 몇 번이나
용서하여 주리이까 일곱 번까지 하오리이까
18:21 Then Peter came and said to him, Lord, what number of times may my brother do wrong
against me, and I give him forgiveness? till seven times?
18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother
sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
18:22 예수께서 가라사대 네게 이르노니 일곱 번 뿐 아니라 일흔 번씩 일곱 번이라도
할지니라
18:22 Jesus says to him, I say not to you, Till seven times; but, Till seventy times seven.
18:22 Jesus says unto him, I say not unto you, Until seven times: but, Until
seventy times seven.
18:23 이러므로 천국은 그 종들과 회계하려 하던 어떤 임금과 같으니
18:23 For this reason the kingdom of heaven is like a king, who went over his accounts
with his servants.
18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which
would take account (o. logos) of his servants.
18:24 회계할 때에 일만 달란트 빚진 자 하나를 데려오매
18:24 And at the start, one came to him who was in his debt for ten thousand talents.
18:24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed
him ten thousand talents.
18:25 갚을 것이 없는지라 주인이 명하여 그 몸과 처와 자식들과 모든 소유를
다 팔아 갚게 하라 한 대
18:25 And because he was not able to make payment, his lord gave orders for him, and his
wife, and his sons and daughters, and all he had, to be given for money, and payment
to be made.
18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold,
and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
18:26 그 종이 엎드리어 절하며 가로되 내게 참으소서 다 갚으리이다 하거늘
18:26 So the servant went down on his face and gave him worship, saying, Lord, give me
time to make payment and I will give you all.
18:26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord,
have patience with me, and I will pay you all.
18:27 그 종의 주인이 불쌍히 여겨 놓아 보내며 그 빚을 탕감하여 주었더니
18:27 And the lord of that servant, being moved with pity, let him go, and made him free
of the debt.
18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed
him, and forgave him the debt.
18:28 그 종이 나가서 제게 백 데나리온 빚진 동관 하나를 만나 붙들어 목을 잡고
가로되 빚을 갚으라 하매
18:28 But that servant went out, and meeting one of the other servants, who was in debt
to him for one hundred pence, he took him by the throat, saying, Make payment of
your debt.
18:28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants,
which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the
throat, saying, Pay me that you owe.
18:29 그 동관이 엎드리어 간구하여 가로되 나를 참아 주소서 갚으리이다 하되
18:29 So that servant went down on his face, requesting him and saying, Give me time and
I will make payment to you.
18:29 And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying,
Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.
18:30 허락하지 아니하고 이에 가서 저가 빚을 갚도록 옥에 가두거늘
18:30 And he would not: but went and put him into prison till he had made payment of the
debt.
18:30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should
pay the debt.
18:31 그 동관들이 그것을 보고 심히 민망하여 주인에게 가서 그 일을 다 고하니
18:31 So when the other servants saw what was done they were very sad, and came and gave
word to their lord of what had been done.
18:31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry,
and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
18:32 이에 주인이 저를 불러다가 말하되 악한 종아 네가 빌기에 내가 네 빚을
전부 탕감하여 주었거늘
18:32 Then his lord sent for him and said, You evil servant; I made you free of all that
debt, because of your request to me:
18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked
servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me:
18:33 내가 너를 불쌍히 여김과 같이 너도 네 동관을 불쌍히 여김이 마땅치 아니하냐
하고
18:33 Was it not right for you to have mercy on the other servant, even as I had mercy
on you?
18:33 Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even
as I had pity on you?
18:34 주인이 노하여 그 빚을 다 갚도록 저를 옥졸들에게 붙이니라
18:34 And his lord was very angry, and put him in the hands of those who would give him
punishment till he made payment of all the debt.
18:34 And his lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he
should pay all that was due unto him.
18:35 너희가 각각 중심으로 형제를 용서하지 아니하면 내 천부께서도 너희에게
이와 같이 하시리라
18:35 So will my Father in heaven do to you, if you do not everyone, from your hearts,
give forgiveness to his brother.
18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if all of you
from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
19:1 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시고 갈릴리에서 떠나 요단 강 건너 유대 지경에
이르시니
19:1 And it came about that after saying these words, Jesus went away from Galilee, and
came into the parts of Judaea on the other side of Jordan.
19:1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, (o.
logos) he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
19:2 큰 무리가 좇거늘 예수께서 거기서 저희 병을 고치시더라
19:2 And a great number went after him; and he made them well there.
19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
19:3 ○ 바리새인들이 예수께 나아와 그를 시험하여 가로되 사람이 아무 연고를
물론하고 그 아내를 내어버리는 것이 옳으니이까
19:3 And certain Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying, Is it right for a man
to put away his wife for every cause?
19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him,
Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
19:4 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 사람을 지으신 이가 본래 저희를 남자와 여자로
만드시고
19:4 And he said in answer, Have you not seen in the Writings, that he who made them
at the first made them male and female, and said,
19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have all of you not read, that he
which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
19:5 말씀하시기를 이러므로 사람이 그 부모를 떠나서 아내에게 합하여 그 둘이
한 몸이 될지니라 하신 것을 읽지 못하였느냐
19:5 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother, and be joined to his
wife; and the two will become one flesh?
19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall
cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?
19:6 이러한즉 이제 둘이 아니요 한 몸이니 그러므로 하나님이 짝지어 주신 것을
사람이 나누지 못할지니라 하시니
19:6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Then let not that which has been
joined by God be parted by man.
19:6 Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has
joined together, let not man put asunder.
19:7 여짜오되 그러하면 어찌하여 모세는 이혼 증서를 주어서 내어버리라 명하였나이까
19:7 They say to him, Why then did Moses give orders that a husband might give her a
statement in writing and be free from her?
19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement,
and to put her away?
19:8 예수께서 가라사대 모세가 너희 마음의 완악함을 인하여 아내 내어버림을
허락하였거니와 본래는 그렇지 아니하니라
19:8 He says to them, Moses, because of your hard hearts, let you put away your wives:
but it has not been so from the first.
19:8 He says unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered
you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
19:9 내가 너희에게 말하노니 누구든지 음행한 연고 외에 아내를 내어버리고
다른 데 장가 드는 자는 간음함이니라
19:9 And I say to you, Whoever puts away his wife for any other cause than the loss of
her virtue, and takes another, is a false husband: and he who takes her as his wife
when she is put away, is no true husband to her.
19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be
for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoso marries
her which is put away does commit adultery.
19:10 제자들이 가로되 만일 사람이 아내에게 이같이 할진대 장가 들지 않는 것이
좋삽나이다
19:10 The disciples say to him, If this is the position of a man in relation to his wife,
it is better not to be married.
19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife,
it is not good to marry.
19:11 예수께서 가라사대 사람마다 이 말을 받지 못하고 오직 타고난 자라야 할지니라
19:11 But he said to them, Not all men are able to take in this saying, but only those
to whom it is given.
19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, (o. logos)
save they to whom it is given.
19:12 어미의 태로부터 된 고자도 있고 사람이 만든 고자도 있고 천국을 위하여
스스로 된 고자도 있도다 이 말을 받을 만한 자는 받을지어다
19:12 For there are men who, from birth, were without sex: and there are some who were
made so by men: and there are others who have made themselves so for the kingdom
of heaven. He who is able to take it, let him take it.
19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's
womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there
be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake.
He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
19:13 ○ 때에 사람들이 예수의 안수하고 기도하심을 바라고 어린 아이들을 데리고
오매 제자들이 꾸짖거늘
19:13 Then some people took little children to him, so that he might put his hands on
them in blessing: and the disciples said sharp words to them.
19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put
his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
19:14 예수께서 가라사대 어린 아이들을 용납하고 내게 오는 것을 금하지 말라
천국이 이런 자의 것이니라 하시고
19:14 But Jesus said, Let the little ones come to me, and do not keep them away: for of
such is the kingdom of heaven.
19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come
unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
19:15 저희 위에 안수하시고 거기서 떠나시니라
19:15 And he put his hands on them, and went away.
19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
19:16 ○ 어떤 사람이 주께 와서 가로되 선생님이여 내가 무슨 선한 일을 하여야
영생을 얻으리이까
19:16 And one came to him and said, Master, what good thing have I to do, so that I may
have eternal life?
19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing
shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
19:17 예수께서 가라사대 어찌하여 선한 일을 내게 묻느냐 선한 이는 오직 한 분이시니라
네가 생명에 들어 가려면 계명들을 지키라
19:17 And he said to him, Why are you questioning me about what is good? One there is
who is good: but if you have a desire to go into life, keep the rules of the law.
19:17 And he said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but
one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.
19:18 가로되 어느 계명이오니이까 예수께서 가라사대 살인하지 말라, 간음하지
말라, 도적질하지 말라, 거짓 증거하지 말라,
19:18 He says to him, Which? And Jesus said, Do not put anyone to death, Do not be untrue
in married life, Do not take what is not yours, Do not give false witness,
19:18 He says unto him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall
not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
19:19 네 부모를 공경하라 네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이니라
19:19 Give honour to your father and your mother: and, Have love for your neighbour as
for yourself.
19:19 Honour your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbour
as yourself.
19:20 그 청년이 가로되 이 모든 것을 내가 지키었사오니 아직도 무엇이 부족하니이까
19:20 The young man says to him, All these things have I done: what more is there?
19:20 The young man says unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth
up: what lack I yet?
19:21 예수께서 가라사대 네가 온전하고자 할진대 가서 네 소유를 팔아 가난한
자들을 주라 그리하면 하늘에서 보화가 네게 있으리라 그리고 와서 나를 좇으라 하시니
19:21 Jesus said to him, If you have a desire to be complete, go, get money for your property,
and give it to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven: and come after me.
19:21 Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have,
and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow
me.
19:22 그 청년이 재물이 많으므로 이 말씀을 듣고 근심하며 가니라
19:22 But hearing these words the young man went away sorrowing: for he had much property.
19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, (o. logos) he went away sorrowful:
for he had great possessions.
19:23 ○ 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 부자는
천국에 들어가기가 어려우니라
19:23 And Jesus said to his disciples, Truly I say to you, It is hard for a man with much
money to go into the kingdom of heaven.
19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich
man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
19:24 다시 너희에게 말하노니 약대가 바늘귀로 들어가는 것이 부자가 하나님의
나라에 들어가는 것보다 쉬우니라 하신대
19:24 And again I say to you, It is simpler for a camel to go through a needle's eye,
than for a man with much money to go into the kingdom of God.
19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
19:25 제자들이 듣고 심히 놀라 가로되 그런즉 누가 구원을 얻을 수 있으리이까
19:25 And the disciples, hearing this, were greatly surprised, saying, Who then may have
salvation?
19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying,
Who then can be saved?
19:26 예수께서 저희를 보시며 가라사대 사람으로는 할 수 없으되 하나님으로서는
다 할 수 있느니라
19:26 And Jesus, looking at them, said, With men this is not possible; but with God all
things are possible.
19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.
19:27 이에 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 보소서 우리가 모든 것을 버리고 주를 좇았사오니
그런즉 우리가 무엇을 얻으리이까
19:27 Then Peter said to him, See, we have given up everything and have come after you;
what then will we have?
19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all,
and followed you; what shall we have therefore?
19:28 예수께서 가라사대 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 세상이 새롭게 되어
인자가 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉을 때에 나를 좇는 너희도 열 두 보좌에 앉아 이스라엘
열 두 지파를 심판하리라
19:28 And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that in the time when all things are
made new, and the Son of man is seated in his glory, you who have come after me
will be seated on twelve seats, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That all of you which
have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne
of his glory, all of you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel.
19:29 또 내 이름을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 부모나 자식이나 전토를 버린
자마다 여러 배를 받고 또 영생을 상속하리라
19:29 And everyone who has given up houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother,
or child, or land, for my name, will be given a hundred times as much, and have
eternal life.
19:29 And every one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or
father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall
receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
19:30 그러나 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되고 나중 된 자로서 먼저 될 자가 많으니라
19:30 But a great number who are first will be last, and some who are last will be first.
19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
20:1 천국은 마치 품군을 얻어 포도원에 들여보내려고 이른 아침에 나간 집 주인과
같으니
20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a house, who went out early in the
morning to get workers into his vine-garden.
20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder,
which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
20:2 저가 하루 한 데나리온씩 품군들과 약속하여 포도원에 들여보내고
20:2 And when he had made an agreement with the workmen for a penny a day, he sent them
into his vine-garden.
20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent
them into his vineyard.
20:3 또 제 삼 시에 나가 보니 장터에 놀고 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others in the market-place doing nothing;
20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in
the marketplace,
20:4 저희에게 이르되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 내가 너희에게 상당하게 주리라
하니 저희가 가고
20:4 And he said to them, Go into the vine-garden with the others, and whatever is right
I will give you. And they went to work.
20:4 And said unto them; Go all of you also into the vineyard, and whatsoever
is right I will give you. And they went their way.
20:5 제 육 시와 제 구 시에 또 나가 그와 같이 하고
20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same.
20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
20:6 제 십 일 시에도 나가 보니 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and saw others doing nothing; and he says
to them, Why are you here all the day doing nothing?
20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle,
and says unto them, Why stand all of you here all the day idle?
20:7 가로되 너희는 어찌하여 종일토록 놀고 여기 섰느뇨 가로되 우리를 품군으로
쓰는 이가 없음이니이다 가로되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 하니라
20:7 They say to him, Because no man has given us work. He says to them, Go in with the
rest, into the vine-garden.
20:7 They say unto him, Because no man has hired us. He says unto them, Go
all of you also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall all of
you receive.
20:8 저물매 포도원 주인이 청직이에게 이르되 품군들을 불러 나중 온 자로부터
시작하여 먼저 온 자까지 삯을 주라 하니
20:8 And when evening came, the lord of the vine-garden said to his manager, Let the
workers come, and give them their payment, from the last to the first.
20:8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard says unto his steward,
Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the
first.
20:9 제 십 일 시에 온 자들이 와서 한 데나리온씩을 받거늘
20:9 And when those men came who had gone to work at the eleventh hour, they were given
every man a penny.
20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received
every man a penny.
20:10 먼저 온 자들이 와서 더 받을 줄 알았더니 저희도 한 데나리온씩 받은지라
20:10 Then those who came first had the idea that they would get more; and they, like
the rest, were given a penny.
20:10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received
more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
20:11 받은 후 집 주인을 원망하여 가로되
20:11 And when they got it, they made a protest against the master of the house,
20:11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of
the house,
20:12 나중 온 이 사람들은 한 시간만 일하였거늘 저희를 종일 수고와 더위를
견딘 우리와 같게 하였나이다
20:12 Saying, These last have done only one hour's work, and you have made them equal
to us, who have undergone the hard work of the day and the burning heat.
20:12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and you have made them
equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
20:13 주인이 그 중의 한 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 친구여 내가 네게 잘못한
것이 없노라 네가 나와 한 데나리온의 약속을 하지 아니하였느냐
20:13 But he in answer said to one of them, Friend, I do you no wrong: did you not make
an agreement with me for a penny?
20:13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did
not you agree with me for a penny?
20:14 네 것이나 가지고 가라 나중 온 이 사람에게 너와 같이 주는 것이 내 뜻이니라
20:14 Take what is yours, and go away; it is my pleasure to give to this last, even as
to you.
20:14 Take that yours is, and go your way: I will give unto this last, even
as unto you.
20:15 내 것을 가지고 내 뜻대로 할 것이 아니냐 내가 선하므로 네가 악하게 보느냐
20:15 Have I not the right to do as seems good to me in my house? or is your eye evil,
because I am good?
20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is yours eye
evil, because I am good?
20:16 이와 같이 나중 된 자로서 먼저 되고 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되리라
20:16 So the last will be first, and the first last.
20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen.
20:17 ○ 예수께서 예루살렘으로 올라가려 하실 때에 열 두 제자를 따로 데리시고
길에서 이르시되
20:17 And when Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples on one side,
and said to them,
20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in
the way, and said unto them,
20:18 보라 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가노니 인자가 대제사장들과 서기관들에게
넘기우매 저희가 죽이기로 결안하고
20:18 See, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be given into the hands of the
chief priests and scribes; and they will give orders for him to be put to death,
20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed
unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
20:19 이방인들에게 넘겨 주어 그를 능욕하며 채찍질하며 십자가에 못 박게 하리니
제 삼 일에 살아나리라
20:19 And will give him up to the Gentiles to be made sport of and to be whipped and to
be put to death on the cross: and the third day he will come back again from the
dead.
20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and
to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
20:20 ○ 그때에 세베대의 아들의 어미가 그 아들들을 데리고 예수께 와서 절하며
무엇을 구하니
20:20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, giving him worship
and making a request of him.
20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping
him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
20:21 예수께서 가라사대 무엇을 원하느뇨 가로되 이 나의 두 아들을 주의 나라에서
하나는 주의 우편에 하나는 주의 좌편에 앉게 명하소서
20:21 And he said to her, What is your desire? She says to him, Let my two sons be seated,
the one at your right hand, and the other at your left, in your kingdom.
20:21 And he said unto her, What will you? She says unto him, Grant that
these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the
left, in your kingdom.
20:22 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 너희 구하는 것을 너희가 알지 못하는도다
나의 마시려는 잔을 너희가 마실 수 있느냐 저희가 말하되 할 수 있나이다
20:22 But Jesus made answer and said, You have no idea what you are requesting. Are you
able to take of the cup which I am about to take?
20:22 But Jesus answered and said, All of you know not what all of you ask.
Are all of you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized
with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
20:23 가라사대 너희가 과연 내 잔을 마시려니와 내 좌우편에 앉는 것은 나의
줄 것이 아니라 내 아버지께서 누구를 위하여 예비하셨든지 그들이 얻을 것이니라
20:23 They say to him, We are able. He says to them, Truly, you will take of my cup: but
to be seated at my right hand and at my left is not for me to give, but it is for
those for whom my Father has made it ready.
20:23 And he says unto them, All of you shall drink indeed of my cup, and
be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right
hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for
whom it is prepared of my Father.
20:24 열 제자가 듣고 그 두 형제에 대하여 분히 여기거늘
20:24 And when it came to the ears of the ten, they were angry with the two brothers.
20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against
the two brethren.
20:25 예수께서 제자들을 불러다가 가라사대 이방인의 집권자들이 저희를 임의로
주관하고 그 대인들이 저희에게 권세를 부리는 줄을 너희가 알거니와
20:25 But Jesus said to them, You see that the rulers of the Gentiles are lords over them,
and their great ones have authority over them.
20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, All of you know that the
princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great
exercise authority upon them.
20:26 너희 중에는 그렇지 아니하니 너희 중에 누구든지 크고자 하는 자는 너희를
섬기는 자가 되고
20:26 Let it not be so among you: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you,
let him be your servant;
20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among
you, let him be your minister;
20:27 너희 중에 누구든지 으뜸이 되고자 하는 자는 너희 종이 되어야 하리라
20:27 And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him take the lowest place:
20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
20:28 인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을
많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라
20:28 Even as the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to
give his life for the salvation of men.
20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,
and to give his life a ransom for many.
20:29 ○ 저희가 여리고에서 떠나갈 때에 큰 무리가 예수를 좇더라
20:29 And when they were going out from Jericho, a great number went after him.
20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
20:30 소경 둘이 길 가에 앉았다가 예수께서 지나가신다 함을 듣고 소리 질러 가로되
주여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하니
20:30 And two blind men seated by the wayside, when they had the news that Jesus was going
by, gave a loud cry, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard
that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of
David.
20:31 무리가 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 더욱 소리 질러 가로되 주여 우리를 불쌍히
여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하는지라
20:31 And the people gave them orders to be quiet; but they went on crying even louder,
Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
20:31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace:
but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.
20:32 예수께서 머물러 서서 저희를 불러
20:32 And Jesus, stopping, sent for them, and said, What would you have me do to you?
20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will all of
you that I shall do unto you?
20:33 가라사대 너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐 가로되 주여 우리 눈 뜨기를
원하나이다
20:33 They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be open.
20:33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
20:34 예수께서 민망히 여기사 저희 눈을 만지시니 곧 보게 되어 저희가 예수를
좇으니라
20:34 And Jesus, being moved with pity, put his fingers on their eyes: and straight away
they were able to see, and went after him.
20:34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately
their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
