9:1 I say what is true in Christ, and not what is false, my mind giving witness with me in the Holy Spirit,
9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma)
9:2 That I am full of sorrow and pain without end.
9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

9:3 For I have a desire to take on myself the curse for my brothers, my family in the flesh:
9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

9:4 Who are Israelites: who have the place of sons, and the glory, and the agreements with God, and the giving of the law, and the worship, and the hope offered by God:
9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertains the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom came Christ in the flesh, who is over all, God, to whom be blessing for ever. So be it.
9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

9:6 ¶ÇÇÑ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¸»¾¸ÀÌ ÆóÇÏ¿©Áø °Í °°Áö ¾Êµµ´Ù À̽º¶ó¿¤¿¡°Ô¼­ ³­ ±×µéÀÌ ´Ù À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¿ä
9:6 But it is not as if the word of God was without effect. For they are not all Israel, who are of Israel:
9:6 Not as though the word (o. logos) of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

9:7 ¶ÇÇÑ ¾Æºê¶óÇÔÀÇ ¾¾°¡ ´Ù ±× Àڳడ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¿ÀÁ÷ ÀÌ»èÀ¸·ÎºÎÅÍ ³­ ÀÚ¶ó¾ß ³× ¾¾¶ó ĪÇϸ®¶ó ÇϼÌÀ¸´Ï
9:7 And they are not all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, In Isaac will your seed be named.
9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called.

9:8 °ð À°½ÅÀÇ Àڳడ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Àڳడ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¿ÀÁ÷ ¾à¼ÓÀÇ Àڳడ ¾¾·Î ¿©±â½ÉÀ» ¹Þ´À´Ï¶ó
9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh, but the children of God's undertaking, who are named as the seed.
9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

9:9 For this is the word of God's undertaking, At this time will I come, and Sarah will have a son.
9:9 For this is the word (o. logos) of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

9:10 And not only so, but Rebecca being about to have a child by our father Isaac--
9:10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

9:11 ±× ÀڽĵéÀÌ ¾ÆÁ÷ ³ªÁöµµ ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ¹«½¼ ¼±À̳ª ¾ÇÀ» ÇàÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ ¶§¿¡ ÅÃÇϽÉÀ» µû¶ó µÇ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¶æÀÌ ÇàÀ§·Î ¸»¹Ì¾ÏÁö ¾Ê°í ¿ÀÁ÷ ºÎ¸£½Ã´Â ÀÌ¿¡°Ô·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ ¼­°Ô ÇÏ·Á ÇÏ»ç
9:11 Before the children had come into existence, or had done anything good or bad, in order that God's purpose and his selection might be effected, not by works, but by him whose purpose it is,
9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calls;)

9:12 ¸®ºê°¡¿¡°Ô À̸£½ÃµÇ Å« ÀÚ°¡ ¾î¸° ÀÚ¸¦ ¼¶±â¸®¶ó Çϼ̳ª´Ï
9:12 It was said to her, The older will be the servant of the younger.
9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

9:13 ±â·ÏµÈ ¹Ù ³»°¡ ¾ß°öÀº »ç¶ûÇÏ°í ¿¡¼­´Â ¹Ì¿öÇÏ¿´´Ù ÇϽɰú °°À¸´Ï¶ó
9:13 Even as it is said, I had love for Jacob, but for Esau I had hate.
9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

9:14 ¡Û ±×·±Áï ¿ì¸®°¡ ¹«½¼ ¸» Çϸ®¿ä Çϳª´Ô²² ºÒÀÇ°¡ ÀÖ´À´¢ ±×·² ¼ö ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó
9:14 What may we say then? is God not upright? let it not be said.
9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

9:15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and pity on whom I will have pity.
9:15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

9:16 So then, it is not by the desire or by the attempt of man, but by the mercy of God.
9:16 So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

9:17 For the holy Writings say to Pharaoh, For this same purpose did I put you on high, so that I might make my power seen in you, and that there might be knowledge of my name through all the earth.
9:17 For the scripture says unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

9:18 ±×·±Áï Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ ÇÏ°íÀÚ ÇϽô ÀÚ¸¦ ±àÈáÈ÷ ¿©±â½Ã°í ÇÏ°íÀÚ ÇϽô ÀÚ¸¦ °­ÆÚÄÉ ÇϽôÀ´Ï¶ó
9:18 So then, at his pleasure he has mercy on a man, and at his pleasure he makes the heart hard.
9:18 Therefore has he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardens.

9:19 ¡Û Ȥ ³×°¡ ³»°Ô ¸»Çϱ⸦ ±×·¯¸é Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¾îÂîÇÏ¿© Çã¹°ÇϽôÀ´¢ ´©°¡ ±× ¶æÀ» ´ëÀûÇÏ´À´¢ Çϸ®´Ï
9:19 But you will say to me, Why does he still make us responsible? who is able to go against his purpose?
9:19 You will say then unto me, Why does he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will?

9:20 ÀÌ »ç¶÷¾Æ ³×°¡ ´µ±â¿¡ °¨È÷ Çϳª´ÔÀ» Èú¹®ÇÏ´À´¢ ÁöÀ½À» ¹ÞÀº ¹°°ÇÀÌ ÁöÀº ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ¾îÂî ³ª¸¦ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸¸µé¾ú´À³Ä ¸»ÇÏ°Ú´À´¢
9:20 But, O man, who are you, to make answer against God? May the thing which is made say to him who made it, Why did you make me so?
9:20 On the contrary;, O man, who are you that reply against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?

9:21 Åä±âÀåÀÌ°¡ ÁøÈë ÇÑ µ¢ÀÌ·Î Çϳª´Â ±ÍÈ÷ ¾µ ±×¸©À» Çϳª´Â õÈ÷ ¾µ ±×¸©À» ¸¸µå´Â ±ÇÀÌ ¾ø´À³Ä
9:21 Or has not the potter the right to make out of one part of his earth a vessel for honour, and out of another a vessel for shame?
9:21 Has not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

9:22 ¸¸ÀÏ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±× Áø³ë¸¦ º¸ÀÌ½Ã°í ±× ´É·ÂÀ» ¾Ë°Ô ÇÏ°íÀÚ ÇÏ»ç ¸êÇϱâ·Î ÁغñµÈ Áø³ëÀÇ ±×¸©À» ¿À·¡ ÂüÀ¸½ÉÀ¸·Î °ü¿ëÇϽðí
9:22 What if God, desiring to let his wrath and his power be seen, for a long time put up with the vessels of wrath which were ready for destruction:
9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

9:23 ¶ÇÇÑ ¿µ±¤ ¹Þ±â·Î ¿¹ºñÇϽŠ¹Ù ±àÈáÀÇ ±×¸©¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© ±× ¿µ±¤ÀÇ ºÎ¿äÇÔÀ» ¾Ë°Ô ÇÏ°íÀÚ ÇϼÌÀ»Áö¶óµµ ¹«½¼ ¸» Çϸ®¿ä
9:23 And to make clear the wealth of his glory to vessels of mercy, which he had before made ready for glory,
9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared unto glory,

9:24 ÀÌ ±×¸©Àº ¿ì¸®´Ï °ð À¯´ëÀÎ Áß¿¡¼­»Ó ¾Æ´Ï¶ó À̹æÀÎ Áß¿¡¼­µµ ºÎ¸£½Å Àڴ϶ó
9:24 Even us, who were marked out by him, not only from the Jews, but from the Gentiles?
9:24 Even us, whom he has called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

9:25 È£¼¼¾Æ ±Û¿¡µµ À̸£±â¸¦  ³»°¡ ³» ¹é¼º ¾Æ´Ñ ÀÚ¸¦ ³» ¹é¼ºÀ̶ó »ç¶ûÄ¡ ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ ÀÚ¸¦ »ç¶ûÇÑ ÀÚ¶ó ºÎ¸£¸®¶ó
9:25 As he says in Hosea, They will be named my people who were not my people, and she will be loved who was not loved.
9:25 As he says also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

9:26  ³ÊÈñ´Â ³» ¹é¼ºÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÇÑ ±× °÷¿¡¼­ ÀúÈñ°¡ »ì¾Æ °è½Å Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¾ÆµéÀ̶ó ºÎ¸§À» ¾òÀ¸¸®¶ó  ÇÔ°ú °°À¸´Ï¶ó
9:26 And in the place where it was said to them, You are not my people, there they will be named the sons of the living God.
9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, All of you are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

9:27 ¶Ç ÀÌ»ç¾ß°¡ À̽º¶ó¿¤¿¡ °üÇÏ¿© ¿ÜÄ¡µÇ À̽º¶ó¿¤ ¹µ ÀÚ¼ÕÀÇ ¼ö°¡ ºñ·Ï ¹Ù´ÙÀÇ ¸ð·¡ °°À»Áö¶óµµ ³²Àº ÀÚ¸¸ ±¸¿øÀ» ¾òÀ¸¸®´Ï
9:27 And Isaiah says about Israel, Even if the number of the children of Israel is as the sand of the sea, only a small part will get salvation:
9:27 Isaiah also cries concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

9:28 ÁÖ²²¼­ ¶¥ À§¿¡¼­ ±× ¸»¾¸À» ÀÌ·ç»ç ÇÊÇÏ½Ã°í ³¡³»½Ã¸®¶ó Çϼ̴À´Ï¶ó
9:28 For the Lord will give effect to his word on the earth, putting an end to it and cutting it short.
9:28 For he will finish the work, (o. logos) and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work (o. logos) will the Lord make upon the earth.

9:29 ¶ÇÇÑ ÀÌ»ç¾ß°¡ ¹Ì¸® ¸»ÇÑ ¹Ù  ¸¸ÀÏ ¸¸±ºÀÇ ÁÖ²²¼­ ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô ¾¾¸¦ ³²°Ü µÎ½ÃÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϼ̴õ¸é ¿ì¸®°¡ ¼Òµ¼°ú °°ÀÌ µÇ°í °í¸ð¶ó¿Í °°¾ÒÀ¸¸®·Î´Ù  ÇÔ°ú °°À¸´Ï¶ó  
9:29 And, as Isaiah had said before, If the Lord of armies had not given us a seed, we would have been like Sodom and Gomorrah.
9:29 And as Isaiah said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

9:30 ¡Û ±×·±Áï ¿ì¸®°¡ ¹«½¼ ¸» Çϸ®¿ä ÀǸ¦ ÁÀÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ À̹æÀεéÀÌ ÀǸ¦ ¾ò¾úÀ¸´Ï °ð ¹ÏÀ½¿¡¼­ ³­ ÀÇ¿ä
9:30 What then may we say? That the nations who did not go after righteousness have got righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:
9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

9:31 ÀÇÀÇ ¹ýÀ» ÁÀ¾Æ°£ À̽º¶ó¿¤Àº ¹ý¿¡ À̸£Áö ¸øÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï
9:31 But Israel, going after a law of righteousness, did not get it.
9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.

9:32 ¾îÂî ±×·¯ÇÏ´¢ ÀÌ´Â ÀúÈñ°¡ ¹ÏÀ½¿¡ ÀÇÁöÇÏÁö ¾Ê°í ÇàÀ§¿¡ ÀÇÁöÇÔÀ̶ó ºÎµúÈú µ¹¿¡ ºÎµúÇû´À´Ï¶ó
9:32 Why? Because they were not searching for it by faith, but by works. They came up against the stone which was in the way;
9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;

9:33 ±â·ÏµÈ ¹Ù  º¸¶ó ³»°¡ ºÎµúÈ÷´Â µ¹°ú °ÅÄ¡´Â ¹Ý¼®À» ½Ã¿Â¿¡ µÎ³ë´Ï Àú¸¦ ¹Ï´Â ÀÚ´Â ºÎ²ô·¯¿òÀ» ´çÄ¡ ¾Æ´ÏÇϸ®¶ó  ÇÔ°ú °°À¸´Ï¶ó
9:33 As it is said, See, I am putting in Zion a stone causing a fall, and a rock in the way: but he who has faith in him will not be put to shame.
9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: and whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

10:1 ÇüÁ¦µé¾Æ ³» ¸¶À½¿¡ ¿øÇÏ´Â ¹Ù¿Í Çϳª´Ô²² ±¸ÇÏ´Â ¹Ù´Â À̽º¶ó¿¤À» À§ÇÔÀÌ´Ï °ð ÀúÈñ·Î ±¸¿øÀ» ¾ò°Ô ÇÔÀ̶ó
10:1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is, that they may get salvation.
10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

10:2 ³»°¡ Áõ°ÅÇϳë´Ï ÀúÈñ°¡ Çϳª´Ô²² ¿­½ÉÀÌ ÀÖÀ¸³ª Áö½ÄÀ» ÁÀÀº °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó
10:2 For I give witness of them that they have a strong desire for God, but not with knowledge.
10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

10:3 Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀǸ¦ ¸ð¸£°í ÀÚ±â ÀǸ¦ ¼¼¿ì·Á°í Èû½á Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀǸ¦ º¹Á¾Ä¡ ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó
10:3 Because, not having knowledge of God's righteousness, and desiring to give effect to their righteousness, they have not put themselves under the righteousness of God.
10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

10:4 ±×¸®½ºµµ´Â ¸ðµç ¹Ï´Â ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ÀǸ¦ ÀÌ·ç±â À§ÇÏ¿© À²¹ýÀÇ ¸¶Ä§ÀÌ µÇ½Ã´Ï¶ó
10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who has faith.
10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes.

10:5 ¸ð¼¼°¡ ±â·ÏÇ쵂 À²¹ýÀ¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï´Â ÀǸ¦ ÇàÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷Àº ±× ÀÇ·Î »ì¸®¶ó ÇÏ¿´°Å´Ï¿Í
10:5 For Moses says that the man who does the righteousness which is of the law will get life by it.
10:5 For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which does those things shall live by them.

10:6 ¹ÏÀ½À¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï´Â ÀÇ´Â ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸»Ç쵂 ³× ¸¶À½¿¡ ´©°¡ Çϴÿ¡ ¿Ã¶ó°¡°Ú´À³Ä ÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó ÇÏ´Ï ¿Ã¶ó°¡°Ú´À³Ä ÇÔÀº ±×¸®½ºµµ¸¦ ¸ð¼Å ³»¸®·Á´Â °ÍÀÌ¿ä
10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith says these words, Say not in your heart, Who will go up to heaven? (that is, to make Christ come down:)
10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaks likewise, Say not in yours heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

10:7 Ȥ ´©°¡ À½ºÎ¿¡ ³»·Á°¡°Ú´À³Ä ÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó ÇÏ´Ï ³»·Á°¡°Ú´À³Ä ÇÔÀº ±×¸®½ºµµ¸¦ Á×Àº ÀÚ °¡¿îµ¥¼­ ¸ð¼Å ¿Ã¸®·Á´Â °ÍÀ̶ó
10:7 Or, Who will go down into the deep? (that is, to make Christ come again from the dead:)
10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

10:8 ±×·¯¸é ¹«¾ùÀ» ¸»ÇÏ´À´¢ ¸»¾¸ÀÌ ³×°Ô °¡±î¿Í ³× ÀÔ¿¡ ÀÖÀ¸¸ç ³× ¸¶À½¿¡ ÀÖ´Ù ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï °ð ¿ì¸®°¡ ÀüÆÄÇÏ´Â ¹ÏÀ½ÀÇ ¸»¾¸À̶ó
10:8 But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart: that is, the word of faith of which we are the preachers:
10:8 But what says it? The word (o. rhema) is nigh you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word (o. rhema) of faith, which we preach;

10:9 Because, if you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and have faith in your heart that God has made him come back from the dead, you will have salvation:
10:9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in yours heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

10:11 Because it is said in the holy Writings, Whoever has faith in him will not be shamed.

10:12 And the Jew is not different from the Greek: for there is the same Lord of all, who is good to all who have hope in his name:
10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

10:14 But how will they give worship to him in whom they have no faith? and how will they have faith in him of whom they have not had news? and how will they have news without a preacher?
10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

10:15 And how will there be preachers if they are not sent? As it is said, How beautiful are the feet of those who give the glad news of good things.
10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

10:16 But they have not all given ear to the good news. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has had faith in our word?
10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?

10:17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

10:19 But I say, Had Israel no knowledge? First Moses says, You will be moved to envy by that which is not a nation, and by a foolish people I will make you angry.
10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses says, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

10:20 And Isaiah says without fear, Those who were not searching for me made discovery of me; and I was seen by those whose hearts were turned away from me.
10:20 But Isaiah is very bold, and says, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

10:21 But about Israel he says; All the day my hands have been stretched out to a people whose hearts were turned away, and who put themselves against my word.
10:21 But to Israel he says, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

11:1 So I say, Has God put his people on one side? Let there be no such thought. For I am of Israel, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
11:1 I say then, Has God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

11:2 Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±× ¹Ì¸® ¾Æ½Å Àڱ⠹鼺À» ¹ö¸®Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇϼ̳ª´Ï ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¼º°æÀÌ ¿¤¸®¾ß¸¦ °¡¸®ÄÑ ¸»ÇÑ °ÍÀ» ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ´À³Ä Àú°¡ À̽º¶ó¿¤À» Çϳª´Ô²² ¼Û»çÇϵÇ
11:2 God has not put away the people of his selection. Or have you no knowledge of what is said about Elijah in the holy Writings? how he says words to God against Israel,
11:2 God has not cast away his people which he foreknew. Know all of you not what the scripture says of Elijah? how he makes intercession to God against Israel saying,

11:3 ÁÖ¿© ÀúÈñ°¡ ÁÖÀÇ ¼±ÁöÀÚµéÀ» Á׿´À¸¸ç ÁÖÀÇ Á¦´ÜµéÀ» Çæ¾î ¹ö·È°í ³ª¸¸ ³²¾Ò´Âµ¥ ³» ¸ñ¼ûµµ 㳪ÀÌ´Ù ÇÏ´Ï
11:3 Lord, they have put your prophets to death, and made waste your altars, and now I am the last, and they are searching for me to take away my life.
11:3 Lord, they have killed your prophets, and dug down yours altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

11:4 Àú¿¡°Ô ÇϽŠ´ë´äÀÌ ¹«¾ùÀÌ´¢ ³»°¡ ³ª¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ¹Ù¾Ë¿¡°Ô ¹«¸­À» ²ÝÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ »ç¶÷ ĥõÀ» ³²°Ü µÎ¾ú´Ù ÇϼÌÀ¸´Ï
11:4 But what answer does God make to him? I have still seven thousand men whose knees have not been bent to Baal.
11:4 But what says the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

11:5 In the same way, there are at this present time some who are marked out by the selection of grace.
11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

11:6 But if it is of grace, then it is no longer of works: or grace would not be grace.
11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

11:7 ±×·±Áï ¾î¶°ÇÏ´¢ À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÌ ±¸ÇÏ´Â ±×°ÍÀ» ¾òÁö ¸øÇÏ°í ¿ÀÁ÷ ÅÃÇϽÉÀ» ÀÔÀº ÀÚ°¡ ¾ò¾ú°í ±× ³²Àº ÀÚµéÀº ¿Ï¾ÇÇÏ¿©Á³´À´Ï¶ó
11:7 What then? That which Israel was searching for he did not get, but those of the selection got it and the rest were made hard.
11:7 What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

11:8 ±â·ÏµÈ ¹Ù Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¿À´Ã³¯±îÁö ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô È¥¹ÌÇÑ ½É·É°ú º¸Áö ¸øÇÒ ´«°ú µèÁö ¸øÇÒ ±Í¸¦ Á̴ּ٠ÇÔ°ú °°À¸´Ï¶ó
11:8 As it was said in the holy Writings, God gave them a spirit of sleep, eyes which might not see, and ears which have no hearing, to this day.
11:8 (According as it is written, God has given them the spirit (o. pneuma) of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

11:9 And David says, Let their table be made a net for taking them, and a stone in their way, and a punishment:
11:9 And David says, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:

11:10 Let their eyes be made dark so that they may not see, and let their back be bent down at all times.
11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always.

11:11 So I say, Were their steps made hard in order that they might have a fall? In no way: but by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, so that they might be moved to envy.
11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation has come unto the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.

11:12 ÀúÈñÀÇ ³Ñ¾îÁüÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÇ ºÎ¿äÇÔÀÌ µÇ¸ç ÀúÈñÀÇ ½ÇÆа¡ À̹æÀÎÀÇ ºÎ¿äÇÔÀÌ µÇ°Åµç ÇϹ°¸ç ÀúÈñÀÇ Ã游ÇÔÀ̸®¿ä
11:12 Now, if their fall is the wealth of the world, and their loss the wealth of the Gentiles, how much greater will be the glory when they are made full?
11:12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness?

11:13 But I say to you, Gentiles, in so far as I am the Apostle of the Gentiles, I make much of my position:
11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

11:14 If in any way those who are of my flesh may be moved to envy, so that some of them may get salvation by me.
11:14 If by any means I may provoke to awaken jealousy in them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

11:15 For, if by their putting away, the rest of men have been made friends with God, what will their coming back again be, but life from the dead?
11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

11:16 And if the first-fruit is holy, so is the mass: and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
11:16 For if the first-fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, an olive-tree of the fields, were put in among them, and were given a part with them in the root by which the olive-tree is made fertile,
11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

11:18 Do not be uplifted in pride over the branches: because it is not you who are the support of the root, but it is by the root that you are supported.
11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, you bear not the root, but the root you.

11:19 You will say, Branches were broken off so that I might be put in.
11:19 You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

11:20 ¿Çµµ´Ù ÀúÈñ´Â ¹ÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϹǷΠ²ªÀÌ¿ì°í ³Ê´Â ¹ÏÀ¸¹Ç·Î ¼¹´À´Ï¶ó ³ôÀº ¸¶À½À» Ç°Áö ¸»°í µµ¸®¾î µÎ·Á¿öÇ϶ó
11:20 Truly, because they had no faith they were broken off, and you have your place by reason of your faith. Do not be lifted up in pride, but have fear;
11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear:

11:21 Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¿ø °¡Áöµéµµ ¾Æ³¢Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇϼÌÀºÁï ³Êµµ ¾Æ³¢Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽø®¶ó
11:21 For, if God did not have mercy on the natural branches, he will not have mercy on you.
11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not you.

11:22 See then that God is good but his rules are fixed: to those who were put away he was hard, but to you he has been good, on the condition that you keep in his mercy; if not, you will be cut off as they were.
11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.

11:23 And they, if they do not go on without faith, will be united to the tree again, because God is able to put them in again.
11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

11:24 For if you were cut out of a field olive-tree, and against the natural use were united to a good olive-tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be united again with the olive-tree which was theirs?
11:24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

11:25 For it is my desire, brothers, that this secret may be clear to you, so that you may not have pride in your knowledge, that Israel has been made hard in part, till all the Gentiles have come in;
11:25 For I would not, brethren, that all of you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest all of you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

12:3 But I say to every one of you, through the grace given to me, not to have an over-high opinion of himself, but to have wise thoughts, as God has given to every one a measure of faith.

13:1 Let everyone put himself under the authority of the higher powers, because there is no power which is not of God, and all powers are ordered by God.

13:4 For he is the servant of God to you for good. But if you do evil, have fear; for the sword is not in his hand for nothing: he is God's servant, making God's punishment come on the evil-doer.
13:4 For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil.

13:11 See then that the time has come for you to be awake from sleep: for now is your salvation nearer than when you first had faith.

14:1 Do not put on one side him who is feeble in faith, and do not put him in doubt by your reasonings.
14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive all of you, but not to doubtful disputations.

14:2 One man has faith to take all things as food: another who is feeble in faith takes only green food.
14:2 For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.

14:3 Let not him who takes food have a low opinion of him who does not: and let not him who does not take food be a judge of him who does; for he has God's approval.
14:3 Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.

14:4 Who are you to make yourself a judge of another man's servant? it is to his master that he is responsible for good or bad. Yes, his place will be safe, because the Lord is able to keep him from falling.
14:4 Who are you that judge another man's servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.

14:5 One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

14:6 He who keeps the day, keeps it to the Lord; and he who takes food, takes it as to the Lord, for he gives praise to God; and he who does not take food, to the Lord he takes it not, and gives praise to God.
14:6 He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.

14:8 As long as we have life we are living to the Lord; or if we give up our life it is to the Lord; so if we are living, or if our life comes to an end, we are the Lord's.
14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

14:9 In order to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

14:10 But you, why do you make yourself your brother's judge? or again, why have you no respect for your brother? because we will all have to take our place before God as our judge.
14:10 But why do you judge your brother? or why do you set at nothing your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

14:11 For it is said in the holy Writings, By my life, says the Lord, to me every knee will be bent, and every tongue will give worship to God.
14:11 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

14:12 So every one of us will have to give an account of himself to God.

14:13 Then let us not be judges of one another any longer: but keep this in mind, that no man is to make it hard for his brother, or give him cause for doubting.
14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

14:14 I am conscious of this, and am certain in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself; but for the man in whose opinion it is unclean, for him it is unclean.
14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

14:15 And if because of food your brother is troubled, then you are no longer going on in the way of love. Do not let your food be destruction to him for whom Christ went into death.
14:15 But if your brother be grieved with your food, now walk you not charitably. (o. agape) Destroy not him with your food, for whom Christ died.

14:17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

14:18 And he who in these things is Christ's servant, is pleasing to God and has the approval of men.
14:18 For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

14:19 So then, let us go after the things which make peace, and the things by which we may be a help to one another.
14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

14:20 Do not let the work of God come to nothing on account of food. All things are certainly clean; but it is evil for that man who by taking food makes it hard for another.
14:20 For food destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offence.

14:21 It is better not to take meat or wine or to do anything which might be a cause of trouble to your brother.
14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

14:22 The faith which you have, have it to yourself before God. Happy is the man who is not judged by that to which he gives approval.
14:22 Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.

14:23 But he who is in doubt is judged if he takes food, because he does it not in faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.

15:1 We who are strong have to be a support to the feeble, and not give pleasure to ourselves.
15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

15:2 Let every one of us give pleasure to his neighbour for his good, to make him strong.

15:4 Now those things which were put down in writing before our time were for our learning, so that through quiet waiting and through the comfort of the holy Writings we might have hope.
15:4 For whatsoever things were written in old times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

15:12 And again Isaiah says, There will be the root of Jesse, and he who comes to be the ruler over the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles put their hope.
15:12 And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

15:13 Now may the God of hope make you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.
