17:1 아히도벨이 또 압살롬에게 이르되 이제 나로 하여금 사람 일만 이천을 택하게
하소서 오늘 밤에 내가 일어나서 다윗의 뒤를 따라
17:1 Then Ahithophel said to Absalom, Let me take out twelve thousand men and this very
night I will go after David:
17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:
17:2 저가 곤하고 약할 때에 엄습하여 저를 무섭게 한즉 저와 함께 있는 모든
백성이 도망하리니 내가 다윗 왕만 쳐죽이고
17:2 And I will come up with him when he is tired and feeble, and make him full of fear:
and all the people with him will go in flight; and I will make an attack on the
king only:
17:2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will strike the king only:
17:3 모든 백성으로 왕께 돌아오게 하리니 무리의 돌아오기는 왕의 찾는 이 사람에게
달렸음이라 그리하면 모든 백성이 평안하리이다
17:3 And I will make all the people come back to you as a bride comes back to her husband:
it is the life of only one man you are going after; so all the people will be at
peace.
17:3 And I will bring back all the people unto you: the man whom you seek is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.
17:4 압살롬과 이스라엘 장로들이 다 그 말을 옳게 여기더라
17:4 And the saying was pleasing to Absalom and to the responsible men of Israel.
17:4 And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
17:5 ○ 압살롬이 이르되 아렉 사람 후새도 부르라 우리가 저의 말도 듣자 하니라
17:5 Then Absalom said, Now send for Hushai the Archite, and let us give ear to what
he has to say.
17:5 Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he says.
17:6 후새가 압살롬에게 이르매 압살롬이 저에게 말하여 가로되 아히도벨이 여차여차히
말하니 우리가 그 말대로 행하랴 그렇지 않거든 너는 말하라
17:6 And when Hushai came, Absalom said to him, This is what Ahithophel has said: are
we to do as he says? if not, what is your suggestion?
17:6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spoke unto him, saying, Ahithophel has spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak you.
17:7 후새가 압살롬에게 이르되 이때에는 아히도벨의 베푼 모략이 선치 아니하니이다
하고
17:7 And Hushai said to Absalom, Ahithophel's idea is not a good one at this time.
17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel has given is not good at this time.
17:8 또 말하되 왕도 아시거니와 왕의 부친과 그 종자들은 용사라 저희는 들에
있는 곰이 새끼를 빼앗긴 것 같이 격분하였고 왕의 부친은 병법에 익은 사람인즉 백성과
함께 자지 아니하고
17:8 Hushai said further, You have knowledge of your father and his men, that they are
men of war, and that their feelings are bitter, like those of a bear in the field
whose young ones have been taken from her: and your father is a man of war, and
will not take his night's rest with the people;
17:8 For, said Hushai, you know your father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and your father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
17:9 이제 어느 굴에나 어느 곳에 숨어 있으리니 혹 무리 중에 몇이 먼저 엎드러지면
그 소문을 듣는 자가 말하기를 압살롬을 좇는 자 가운데서 패함을 당하였다 할지라
17:9 But he will certainly have taken cover now in some hole or secret place; and if
some of our people, at the first attack, are overcome, then any hearing of it will
say, There is destruction among the people who are on Absalom's side.
17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever hears it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
17:10 비록 용감하여 사자 같은 자의 마음이라도 저상하리니 이는 이스라엘 무리가
왕의 부친은 영웅이요 그 종자들도 용사인 줄 앎이니이다
17:10 Then even the strongest, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will become like
water; for all Israel is conscious that your father is a man of war, and those who
are with him are strong and without fear.
17:10 And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
17:11 나의 모략은 이러하니이다 온 이스라엘을 단부터 브엘세바까지 바닷가의
많은 모래 같이 왕께로 모으고 친히 전장에 나가시고
17:11 But my suggestion is that all Israel, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, comes together
to you, a great army like the sands of the sea in number; and that you yourself
go out among them.
17:11 Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that you go to battle in yours own person.
17:12 우리가 그 만날 만한 곳에서 저를 엄습하기를 이슬이 땅에 내림 같이 저의
위에 덮여 저와 그 함께 있는 모든 사람을 하나도 남겨 두지 아니할 것이요
17:12 Then we will come on him in some place, wherever he may be, falling on him as the
dew comes on the earth: and of him and all the men who are with him not one will
get away with his life.
17:12 So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falls on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
17:13 또 만일 저가 어느 성에 들었으면 온 이스라엘이 줄을 가져다가 그 성을
강으로 끌어들여서 그 곳에 한 작은 돌도 보이지 않게 할 것이니이다 하매
17:13 And if he has gone into some town, then let all Israel take strong cords to that
town, and we will have it pulled into the valley, till not one small stone is to
be seen there.
17:13 Moreover, if he be got into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
17:14 압살롬과 온 이스라엘 사람들이 이르되 아렉 사람 후새의 모략은 아히도벨의
모략보다 낫다 하니 이는 여호와께서 압살롬에게 화를 내리려 하사 아히도벨의 좋은
모략을 파하기로 작정하셨음이더라
17:14 Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, Hushai's suggestion is better than
that of Ahithophel. For it was the purpose of the Lord to make the wise designs
of Ahithophel without effect, so that the Lord might send evil on Absalom.
17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
17:15 ○ 이에 후새가 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 이르되 아히도벨이 압살롬과
이스라엘 장로들에게 여차여차히 모략을 베풀었고 나도 여차여차히 모략을 베풀었으니
17:15 Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, This is the suggestion made
by Ahithophel to Absalom and the responsible men of Israel, and this is what I said
to them.
17:15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.
17:16 이제 너희는 빨리 사람을 보내어 다윗에게 고하기를 오늘 밤에 광야 나룻터에서
자지 마시고 아무쪼록 건너가소서 하라 혹시 왕과 그 좇는 자들이 몰사할까 하노라
하니라
17:16 So now send the news quickly to David, and say, Do not take your night's rest by
the way across the river to the waste land, but be certain to go over; or the king
and all the people with him will come to destruction.
17:16 Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
17:17 그 때에 요나단과 아히마아스가 사람이 볼까 두려워하여 감히 성에 들어가지
못하고 에느로겔 가에 머물고 어떤 계집종은 저희에게 나와서 고하고 저희는 가서
다윗에게 고하더니
17:17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were waiting by En-rogel; and a servant-girl went from
time to time and gave them news and they went with the news to King David, for it
was not wise for them to let themselves be seen coming into the town.
17:17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a maid servant went and told them; and they went and told king David.
17:18 한 소년이 저희를 보고 압살롬에게 고한지라 그 두 사람이 빨리 달려서
바후림 어떤 사람의 집으로 들어가서 그 뜰에 있는 우물 속으로 내려가니
17:18 But a boy saw them, and gave word of it to Absalom: so the two of them went away
quickly, and came to the house of a man in Bahurim who had a water-hole in his garden,
and they went down into it.
17:18 Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; where they went down.
17:19 그 집 여인이 덮을 것을 가져다가 우물 아구를 덮고 찧은 곡식을 그 위에
널매 도무지 알지 못할러라
17:19 And a woman put a cover over the hole, and put crushed grain on top of it, and no
one had any knowledge of it.
17:19 And the woman took and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.
17:20 압살롬의 종들이 그 집에 와서 여인에게 묻되 아히마하스와 요나단이 어디
있느냐 여인이 가로되 그들이 시내를 건너가더라 하니 저희가 찾아도 만나지 못하고
예루살렘으로 돌아가니라
17:20 And Absalom's servants came to the woman at the house and said, Where are Ahimaaz
and Jonathan? And the woman said to them, They have gone from here to the stream.
And after searching for them, and seeing nothing of them, they went back to Jerusalem.
17:20 And when Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.
17:21 ○ 저희가 간 후에 두 사람이 우물에서 올라와서 다윗 왕에게 이르러 고하여
가로되 당신들은 일어나 빨리 물을 건너가소서 아히도벨이 당신들을 해하려고 여차여차히
모략을 베풀었나이다
17:21 Then after the servants had gone away, they came up out of the water-hole and went
to give King David the news; and they said, Get up and go quickly over the water,
for such and such are Ahithophel's designs against you.
17:21 And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you.
17:22 다윗이 일어나 모든 백성과 함께 요단을 건널새 새벽에 미쳐서 한 사람도
요단을 건너지 못한 자가 없었더라
17:22 So David and all the people who were with him went up over Jordan: when dawn came,
every one of them had gone over Jordan.
17:22 Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.
17:23 아히도벨이 자기 모략이 시행되지 못함을 보고 나귀에 안장을 지우고 떠나
고향으로 돌아가서 자기 집에 이르러 집을 정리하고 스스로 목매어 죽으매 그 아비
묘에 장사되니라
17:23 Now when Ahithophel saw that his suggestion was not acted on, he got his ass ready,
and went back to his house, to the town where he came from, and having put his house
in order, he put himself to death by hanging; so he came to his end and was put
in the resting-place of his father.
17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and got him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.
17:24 ○ 이에 다윗은 마하나임에 이르고 압살롬은 모든 이스라엘 사람과 함께
요단을 건너니라
17:24 And David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom, with all the men of Israel, went over Jordan.
17:24 Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.
17:25 압살롬이 아마사로 요압을 대신하여 군장을 삼으니라 아마사는 이스라엘
사람 이드라라 하는 자의 아들이라 이드라가 나하스의 딸 아비갈과 동침하여 저를
낳았으며 아비갈은 요압의 어미 스루야의 동생이더라
17:25 And Absalom put Amasa at the head of the army in place of Joab. Now Amasa was the
son of a man named Ithra the Ishmaelite, who had been the lover of Abigail, the
daughter of Jesse, sister of Zeruiah, Joab's mother.
17:25 And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother.
17:26 이에 이스라엘 무리와 압살롬이 길르앗 땅에 진 치니라
17:26 And Israel and Absalom put up their tents in the land of Gilead.
17:26 So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
17:27 ○ 다윗이 마하나임에 이르렀을 때에 암몬 족속에게 속한 랍바 사람 나하스의
아들 소비와 로데발 사람 암미엘의 아들 마길과 로글림 길르앗 사람 바르실래가
17:27 Now when David had come to Mahanaim, Shobi, the son of Nahash of Rabbah, the Ammonite,
and Machir, the son of Ammiel of Lo-debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,
17:27 And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,
17:28 침상과 대야와 질그릇과 밀과 보리와 밀가루와 볶은 곡식과 콩과 팥과 볶은
녹두와
17:28 Came with beds and basins and pots, and grain and meal, and all sorts of dry foods,
17:28 Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentils, and parched vegetables,
17:29 꿀과 뻐더와 양과 치스를 가져다가 다윗과 그 함께 한 백성으로 먹게 하였으니
이는 저희 생각에 백성이 들에서 시장하고 곤하고 목마르겠다 함이더라
17:29 And honey and butter and sheep and milk-cheeses, for David and his people: for they
said, This people is in the waste land, needing food and drink and rest.
17:29 And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of cattle, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
18:1 이에 다윗이 그 함께 한 백성을 계수하고 천부장과 백부장을 그 위에 세우고
18:1 And David had the people who were with him numbered, and he put over them captains
of thousands and captains of hundreds.
18:1 And David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds over them.
18:2 그 백성을 내어보낼새 삼분지 일은 요압의 수하에, 삼분지 일은 스루야의
아들 요압의 동생 아비새의 수하에 붙이고 삼분지 일은 가드 사람 잇대의 수하에
붙이고 백성에게 이르되 나도 반드시 너희와 함께 나가리라
18:2 And David sent the people out, a third of them under the orders of Joab, and a third
under the orders of Abishai, son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third under Ittai
the Gittite. And the king said to the people, And I myself will certainly go out
with you.
18:2 And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.
18:3 백성들이 가로되 왕은 나가지 마소서 우리가 도망할지라도 저희는 우리에게
주의하지 아니할 터이요 우리가 절반이나 죽을지라도 우리에게 주의하지 아니할 터이라
왕은 우리 만 명보다 중하시오니 왕은 성에 계시다가 우리를 도우심이 좋으니이다
18:3 But the people said, It is better for you not to go out: for if we are put to flight,
they will not give a thought to us, and if death overtakes half of us, it will be
nothing to them: but you are of more value than ten thousand of us: so it is better
for you to be ready to come to our help from this town.
18:3 But the people answered, You shall not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now you are worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that you help us out of the city.
18:4 왕이 저희에게 이르되 너희가 선히 여기는 대로 내가 행하리라 하고 문 곁에
서매 모든 백성이 백 명씩 천 명씩 대를 지어 나가는지라
18:4 And the king said to them, I will do whatever seems best to you. So the king took
his place by the door of the town, and all the people went out by hundreds and by
thousands.
18:4 And the king said unto them, What seems you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate side, and all the people came out by hundreds and by thousands.
18:5 왕이 요압과 아비새와 잇대에게 명하여 가로되 나를 위하여 소년 압살롬을
너그러이 대접하라 하니 왕이 압살롬을 위하여 모든 군장에게 명령할 때에 백성들이
다 들으니라
18:5 And the king gave orders to Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Because of me, be
gentle to the young man Absalom. And this order about Absalom was given in the hearing
of all the people.
18:5 And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.
18:6 이에 백성이 이스라엘을 치러 들로 나가서 에브라임 수풀에서 싸우더니
18:6 So the people went out into the field against Israel, and the fight took place in
the woods of Ephraim.
18:6 So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim;
18:7 거기서 이스라엘 무리가 다윗의 신복들에게 패하매 그 날 그 곳에서 살륙이
커서 이만에 이르렀고
18:7 And the people of Israel were overcome there by the servants of David, and there
was a great destruction that day, and twenty thousand men were put to the sword.
18:7 Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.
18:8 그 땅에서 사면으로 퍼져 싸웠으므로 그 날에 수풀에서 죽은 자가 칼에 죽은
자보다 많았더라
18:8 And the fighting went on over all the face of the country: and the woods were responsible
for more deaths than the sword.
18:8 For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.
18:9 ○ 압살롬이 다윗의 신복과 마주치니라 압살롬이 노새를 탔는데 그 노새가
큰 상수리나무 번성한 가지 아래로 지날 때에 압살롬의 머리털이 그 상수리나무에
걸리매 저가 공중에 달리고 그 탔던 노새는 그 아래로 빠져나간지라
18:9 And Absalom came across some of David's men. And Absalom was seated on his mule,
and the mule went under the thick branches of a great tree, and his head became
fixed in the tree and he was lifted up between earth and heaven, and the beast under
him went on.
18:9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
18:10 한 사람이 보고 요압에게 고하여 가로되 내가 보니 압살롬이 상수리나무에
달렸더이다
18:10 And a certain man saw it and said to Joab, I saw Absalom hanging in a tree.
18:10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in an oak.
18:11 요압이 그 고한 사람에게 이르되 네가 보고 어찌하여 당장에 쳐서 땅에
떨어뜨리지 아니하였느뇨 내가 네게 은 열 개와 띠 하나를 주었으리라
18:11 And Joab said to the man who had given him the news, If you saw this, why did you
not put your sword through him, and I would have given you ten bits of silver and
a band for your robe?
18:11 And Joab said unto the man that told him, And, behold, you saw him, and why did you not strike him there to the ground? and I would have given you ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.
18:12 그 사람이 요압에게 대답하되 내가 내 손에 은 천 개를 받는다 할지라도
나는 왕의 아들에게 손을 대지 아니하겠나이다 우리가 들었거니와 왕이 당신과 아비새와
잇대에게 명하여 이르시기를 삼가 누구든지 소년 압살롬을 해하지 말라 하셨나이다
18:12 And the man said to Joab, Even if you gave me a thousand bits of silver, I would
not put out my hand against the king's son: for in our hearing the king gave orders
to you and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Take care that the young man Absalom is not
touched.
18:12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine hand, yet would I not put forth mine hand against the king's son: for in our hearing the king charged you and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom.
18:13 아무 일도 왕 앞에는 숨길 수 없나니 내가 만일 거역하여 그 생명을 해하였더면
당신도 나를 대적하였으리이다
18:13 And if I had falsely put him to death (and nothing may be kept secret from the king),
you would have had nothing to do with me.
18:13 Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.
18:14 요압이 가로되 나는 너와 같이 지체할 수 없다 하고 손에 작은 창 셋을
가지고 가서 상수리나무 가운데서 아직 살아 있는 압살롬의 심장을 찌르니
18:14 Then Joab said, I would have made it safe for you. And he took three spears in his
hand, and put them through Absalom's heart, while he was still living, in the branches
of the tree.
18:14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with you. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.
18:15 요압의 병기를 맡은 소년 열이 압살롬을 에워싸고 쳐죽이니라
18:15 And ten young men, servants of Joab, came round Absalom and put an end to him.
18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab's armour compassed about and stroke Absalom, and slew him.
18:16 ○ 요압이 나팔을 불어 백성들로 그치게 하니 저희가 이스라엘을 따르지
아니하고 돌아오니라
18:16 And Joab had the horn sounded, and the people came back from going after Israel,
for Joab kept them back.
18:16 And Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from pursuing after Israel: for Joab held back the people.
18:17 무리가 압살롬을 옮겨다가 수풀 가운데 큰 구멍에 던지고 그 위에 심히
큰 돌무더기를 쌓으니라 온 이스라엘 무리가 각기 장막으로 도망하니라
18:17 And they took Absalom's body and put it into a great hole in the wood, and put a
great mass of stones over it: and every man of Israel went in flight to his tent.
18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.
18:18 압살롬이 살았을 때에 자기를 위하여 한 비석을 가져 세웠으니 이는 저가
자기 이름을 전할 아들이 없음을 한탄함이라 그러므로 자기 이름으로 그 비석을 이름하였으며
그 비석이 왕의 골짜기에 있고 이제까지 압살롬의 기념비라 일컫더라
18:18 Now Absalom, before his death, had put up for himself a pillar in the king's valley,
naming it after himself; for he said, I have no son to keep my name in memory: and
to this day it is named Absalom's pillar.
18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.
18:19 ○ 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 가로되 청컨대 나로 빨리 왕에게 가서 여호와께서
왕의 원수 갚아 주신 소식을 전하게 하소서
18:19 Then Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said, Let me go and give the king news of how the
Lord has done right in his cause against those who took up arms against him.
18:19 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD has avenged him of his enemies.
18:20 요압이 저에게 이르되 너는 오늘 소식을 전하는 자가 되지 말고 다른 날에
전할 것이니라 왕의 아들이 죽었나니 네가 오늘날 소식을 전하지 못하리라 하고
18:20 And Joab said, You will take no news today; another day you may give him the news,
but you will take no news today, because the king's son is dead.
18:20 And Joab said unto him, You shall not bear tidings this day, but you shall bear tidings another day: but this day you shall bear no tidings, because the king's son is dead.
18:21 구스 사람에게 이르되 네가 가서 본 것을 왕께 고하라 하매 구스 사람이
요압에게 절하고 달음질하여 가니
18:21 Then Joab said to the Cushite, Go and give the king word of what you have seen.
And the Cushite, making a sign of respect to Joab, went off running.
18:21 Then said Joab to Cushi, Go tell the king what you have seen. And Cushi bowed himself unto Joab, and ran.
18:22 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 다시 요압에게 이르되 청컨대 아무쪼록 나로
또한 구스 사람의 뒤를 따라 달음질하게 하소서 요압이 가로되 내 아들아 왜 달음질하려
하느냐 이 소식으로 인하여는 상을 받지 못하리라 하되
18:22 Then Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said to Joab again, Whatever may come of it, let
me go after the Cushite. And Joab said, Why have you a desire to go, my son, seeing
that you will get no reward for your news?
18:22 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But howsoever, let me, I pray you, also run after Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore will you run, my son, seeing that you have no tidings ready?
18:23 저가 아무쪼록 달음질하겠노라 하는지라 요압이 가로되 그리하라 하니 아히마아스가
들길로 달음질하여 구스 사람보다 앞서니라
18:23 Whatever may come of it, he said, I will go. Then he said to him, Go. So Ahimaaz
went running by the lowland road and overtook the Cushite.
18:23 But howsoever, said he, let me run. And he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz ran by the way of the plain, and outran Cushi.
18:24 ○ 때에 다윗이 두 문 사이에 앉았더라 파숫군이 성 문 루에 올라가서 눈을
들어 보니 어떤 사람이 홀로 달음질하는지라
18:24 Now David was seated between the two town doors; and the watchman went up to the
roof of the doorways, on the wall, and, lifting up his eyes, saw a man running by
himself.
18:24 And David sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold a man running alone.
18:25 파숫군이 외쳐 왕께 고하매 왕이 가로되 저가 만일 혼자면 그 입에 소식이
있으리라 할 때에 저가 차차 가까이 오니라
18:25 And the watchman gave news of it to the king. And the king said, If he is coming
by himself, then he has news. And the man was travelling quickly, and came near.
18:25 And the watchman cried, and told the king. And the king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he came swiftly, and drew near.
18:26 파숫군이 본즉 한 사람이 또 달음질하는지라 문지기에게 외쳐 이르되 보라
한 사람이 또 혼자 달음질한다 하니 왕이 가로되 저도 소식을 가져오느니라
18:26 Then the watchman saw another man running: and crying out in the direction of the
door he said, Here is another man running by himself. And the king said, He, like
the other, comes with news.
18:26 And the watchman saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the gate keeper, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also brings tidings.
18:27 파숫군이 가로되 나 보기에는 앞선 사람의 달음질이 사독의 아들 아히마아스의
달음질과 같으니이다 왕이 가로되 저는 좋은 사람이니 좋은 소식을 가져오느니라
18:27 And the watchman said, It seems to me that the running of the first is like the
running of Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and his
news will be good.
18:27 And the watchman said, It seems to me that the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and comes with good tidings.
18:28 아히마아스가 외쳐 왕께 말씀하되 평강하옵소서 하고 왕의 앞에서 얼굴을
땅에 대고 절하여 가로되 왕의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하리로소이다 그 손을 들어 내
주 왕을 대적하는 자들을 붙여 주셨나이다
18:28 And Ahimaaz, crying out to the king, said, It is well. And falling down before the
king, with his face to the earth, he said, May the Lord your God be praised, who
has given up the men who took up arms against my lord the king!
18:28 And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD your God, which has delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.
18:29 왕이 가로되 소년 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 아히마아스가 대답하되 요압이 왕의
종 나를 보낼 때에 크게 소동하는 것을 보았사오나 무슨 일인지 알지 못하였나이다
18:29 And the king said, Is it well with the young man Absalom? And Ahimaaz said in answer,
When Joab sent me, your servant, I saw a great outcry going on, but I had no knowledge
of what it was.
18:29 And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.
18:30 왕이 가로되 물러나 곁에 서 있으라 하매 물러나서 섰더라
18:30 And the king said, Get back and take your place here. So turning to one side, he
took his place there.
18:30 And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.
18:31 ○ 구스 사람이 이르러 고하되 내 주 왕께 보할 소식이 있나이다 여호와께서
오늘날 왕을 대적하던 모든 원수를 갚으셨나이다
18:31 And then the Cushite came and said, I have news for my lord the king: today the
Lord has done right in your cause against all those who took up arms against you.
18:31 And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD has avenged you this day of all them that rose up against you.
18:32 왕이 구스 사람에게 묻되 소년 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 구스 사람이 대답하되
내 주 왕의 원수와 일어나서 왕을 대적하는 자들은 다 그 소년과 같이 되기를 원하나이다
18:32 And the king said to the Cushite, Is the young man Absalom safe? And the Cushite
said in answer, May all the king's haters and those who do evil against the king,
be as that young man is!
18:32 And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against you to do you hurt, be as that young man is.
18:33 왕의 마음이 심히 아파 문 루로 올라가서 우니라 저가 올라갈 때에 말하기를
내 아들 압살롬아 내 아들 내 아들 압살롬아 내가 너를 대신하여 죽었더면, 압살롬
내 아들아 내 아들아 하였더라
18:33 Then the king was much moved, and went up into the room over the door, weeping,
and saying, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! if only my life might have
been given for yours, O Absalom, my son, my son!
18:33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for you, O Absalom, my son, my son!
19:1 혹이 요압에게 고하되 왕이 압살롬을 위하여 울며 슬퍼하시나이다 하니
19:1 And word was given to Joab that the king was weeping and sorrowing for Absalom.
19:1 And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.
19:2 왕이 그 아들을 위하여 슬퍼한다 함이 그 날에 백성들에게 들리매 그 날의
이김이 모든 백성에게 슬픔이 된지라
19:2 And the salvation of that day was changed to sorrow for all the people: for it was
said to the people, The king is in bitter grief for his son.
19:2 And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.
19:3 그 날에 백성들이 싸움에 쫓겨 부끄러워 도망함 같이 가만히 성으로 들어가니라
19:3 And the people made their way back to the town quietly and secretly, as those who
are shamed go secretly when they go in flight from the war.
19:3 And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
19:4 왕이 얼굴을 가리우고 큰 소리로 부르되 내 아들 압살롬아 압살롬아 내 아들아
내 아들아 하니
19:4 But the king, covering his face, gave a great cry, O my son Absalom, O Absalom,
my son, my son!
19:4 But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!
19:5 요압이 집에 들어가서 왕께 말씀하되 왕께서 오늘 왕의 생명과 왕의 자녀의
생명과 처첩들의 생명을 구원한 모든 신복의 얼굴을 부끄럽게 하시니
19:5 And Joab came into the house to the king and said, Today you have put to shame the
faces of all your servants who even now have kept you and your sons and your daughters
and your wives and all your women safe from death;
19:5 And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, You have shamed this day the faces of all your servants, which this day have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines;
19:6 이는 왕께서 미워하는 자는 사랑하시며 사랑하는 자는 미워하시고 오늘 장관들과
신복들을 멸시하심을 나타내심이라 오늘 내가 깨달으니 만일 압살롬이 살고 오늘
우리가 다 죽었더면 왕이 마땅히 여기실 뻔하였나이다
19:6 For your haters, it seems, are dear to you, and your friends are hated. For you
have made it clear that captains and servants are nothing to you: and now I see
that if Absalom was living and we had all been dead today, it would have been right
in your eyes.
19:6 In that you love yours enemies, and hate your friends. For you have declared this day, that you regard neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased you well.
19:7 이제 곧 일어나 나가서 왕의 신복들의 마음을 위로하여 말씀하옵소서 내가
여호와를 가리켜 맹세하옵나니 왕이 만일 나가지 아니하시면 오늘 밤에 한 사람도
왕과 함께 머물지 아니할지라 그리하면 그 화가 왕이 젊었을 때부터 지금까지 당하신
모든 화보다 더욱 심하리이다
19:7 So get up now, and go out and say some kind words to your servants; for, by the
Lord, I give you my oath, that if you do not go out, not one of them will keep with
you tonight; and that will be worse for you than all the evil which has overtaken
you from your earliest years.
19:7 Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto your servants: for I swear by the LORD, if you go not forth, there will not tarry one with you this night: and that will be worse unto you than all the evil that befell you from your youth until now.
19:8 왕이 일어나 성문에 앉으매 혹이 모든 백성에게 고하되 왕이 문에 앉아 계시다
하니 모든 백성이 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라 ○ 이스라엘은 이미 각기 장막으로 도망하였더라
19:8 Then the king got up and took his seat near the town-door. And word was given to
all the people that the king was in the public place: and all the people came before
the king. Now all the men of Israel had gone back in flight to their tents.
19:8 Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
19:9 이스라엘 모든 지파 백성들이 변론하여 가로되 왕이 우리를 원수의 손에서
구원하여 내셨고 또 우리를 블레셋 사람의 손에서 구원하셨으나 이제 압살롬을 피하여
나라에서 나가셨고
19:9 And through all the tribes of Israel the people were having arguments, saying, The
king made us safe from the hands of those who were against us and made us free from
the hands of the Philistines; and now he has gone in flight from the land, because
of Absalom.
19:9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.
19:10 우리가 기름을 부어 우리를 다스리게 한 압살롬은 싸움에 죽었거늘 이제
너희가 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔 올 일에 잠잠하고 있느냐 하니라
19:10 And Absalom, whom we made a ruler over us, is dead in the fight. So now why do you
say nothing about getting the king back? And word of what all Israel was saying
came to the king.
19:10 And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak all of you not a word of bringing the king back?
19:11 ○ 다윗 왕이 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 기별하여 가로되 너희는 유다
장로들에게 고하여 이르기를 왕의 말씀이 온 이스라엘이 왕을 궁으로 도로 모셔 오자
하는 말이 왕께 들렸거늘 너희는 어찌하여 궁으로 모시는 일에 나중이 되느냐
19:11 And King David sent word to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, Say to the responsible
men of Judah, Why are you the last to take steps to get the king back to his house?
19:11 And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are all of you the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.
19:12 너희는 내 형제요 내 골육이어늘 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔오는 일에 나중이
되리요 하셨다 하고
19:12 You are my brothers, my bone and my flesh; why are you the last to get the king
back again?
19:12 All of you are my brethren, all of you are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are all of you the last to bring back the king?
19:13 너희는 또 아마사에게 이르기를 너는 내 골육이 아니냐 네가 요압을 대신하여
항상 내 앞에서 군장이 되지 아니하면 하나님이 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리시기를 바라노라
하셨다 하라 하여
19:13 And say to Amasa, Are you not my bone and my flesh? May God's punishment be on me,
if I do not make you chief of the army before me at all times in place of Joab!
19:13 And say all of you to Amasa, Are you not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
19:14 모든 유다 사람들로 마음을 일제히 돌리게 하매 저희가 왕께 보내어 가로되
왕은 모든 신복으로 더불어 돌아오소서 한지라
19:14 And the hearts of the men of Judah were moved like one man; so that they sent to
the king, saying, Come back, with all your servants.
19:14 And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return you, and all your servants.
19:15 왕이 돌아와 요단에 이르매 유다 족속이 왕을 맞아 요단을 건네려 하여
길갈로 오니라
19:15 So the king came back, and came as far as Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, meeting
the king there, to take him back with them over Jordan.
19:15 So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.
19:16 ○ 바후림에 있는 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 급히 유다 사람과
함께 다윗 왕을 맞으려 내려올 때에
19:16 And Shimei, the son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, got up quickly and went
down with the men of Judah for the purpose of meeting King David;
19:16 And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.
19:17 베냐민 사람 일천 명이 저와 함께 하고 사울의 사환 시바도 그 아들 열
다섯과 종 스무 명으로 더불어 저와 함께 하여 요단 강을 밟고 건너 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라
19:17 And with him a thousand men of Benjamin, and Ziba, the servant of Saul, with his
fifteen sons and twenty servants, came rushing to Jordan before the king,
19:17 And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.
19:18 왕의 가족을 건네려 하며 왕의 선히 여기는 대로 쓰게 하려 하여 나룻배가
건너가니 왕이 요단을 건너려 할 때에 게라의 아들 시므이가 왕의 앞에 엎드려
19:18 And kept going across the river to take the people of the king's house over, and
to do whatever was desired by the king. And Shimei, the son of Gera, went down on
his face in the dust before the king, when he was about to go over Jordan,
19:18 And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;
19:19 왕께 고하되 내 주여 원컨대 내게 죄 주지 마옵소서 내 주 왕께서 예루살렘에서
나오시던 날에 종의 패역한 일을 기억하지 마옵시며 마음에 두지 마옵소서
19:19 And said to him, Let me not be judged as a sinner in your eyes, O my lord, and do
not keep in mind the wrong I did on the day when my lord the king went out of Jerusalem,
or take it to heart.
19:19 And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do you remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
19:20 왕의 종 내가 범죄한 줄 아옵는 고로 오늘 요셉의 온 족속 중 내가 먼저
내려와서 내 주 왕을 영접하나이다
19:20 For your servant is conscious of his sin: and so, as you see, I have come today,
the first of all the sons of Joseph, for the purpose of meeting my lord the king.
19:20 For your servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.
19:21 ○ 스루야의 아들 아비새가 대답하여 가로되 시므이가 여호와의 기름 부으신
자를 저주하였으니 그로 인하여 죽어야 마땅치 아니하니이까
19:21 But Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, said, Is not death the right fate for Shimei, because
he has been cursing the one marked by the holy oil?
19:21 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?
19:22 다윗이 가로되 스루야의 아들들아 내가 너희와 무슨 상관이 있기로 너희가
오늘 나의 대적이 되느냐 오늘 어찌하여 이스라엘 가운데서 사람을 죽이겠느냐 내가
오늘날 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것을 내가 알지 못하리요 하고
19:22 And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you put yourselves
against me today? is it right for any man in Israel to be put to death today? for
I am certain today that I am king in Israel.
19:22 And David said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah, that all of you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
19:23 시므이에게 이르되 네가 죽지 아니하리라 하고 저에게 맹세하니라
19:23 So the king said to Shimei, You will not be put to death. And the king gave him
his oath.
19:23 Therefore the king said unto Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore unto him.
19:24 ○ 사울의 손자 므비보셋이 내려와서 왕을 맞으니 저는 왕의 떠난 날부터
평안히 돌아오는 날까지 그 발을 맵시 내지 아니하며 그 수염을 깎지 아니하며 옷을
빨지 아니하였더라
19:24 And Mephibosheth, the son of Saul's son, came down for the purpose of meeting the
king; his feet had not been cared for or his hair cut or his clothing washed from
the day when the king went away till the day when he came back in peace.
19:24 And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.
19:25 예루살렘에서 와서 왕을 맞을 때에 왕이 저에게 물어 가로되 므비보셋이여
네가 어찌하여 나와 함께 가지 아니하였더뇨
19:25 Now when he had come from Jerusalem to see the king, the king said to him, Why did
you not come with me, Mephibosheth?
19:25 And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore went not you with me, Mephibosheth?
19:26 대답하되 내 주 왕이여 왕의 종 나는 절뚝발이이므로 내 나귀에 안장을
지워 타고 왕과 함께 가려 하였더니 나의 종이 나를 속이고
19:26 And he said in answer, Because of the deceit of my servant, my lord king: for I,
your servant, said to him, You are to make ready an ass and on it I will go with
the king, for your servant has not the use of his feet.
19:26 And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for your servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because your servant is lame.
19:27 종 나를 내 주 왕께 참소하였나이다 내 주 왕께서는 하나님의 사자와 같으시니
왕의 처분대로 하옵소서
19:27 He has given you a false account of me: but my lord the king is like the angel of
God: do then whatever seems good to you.
19:27 And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in yours eyes.
19:28 내 아비의 온 집이 내 주 왕 앞에서는 다만 죽을 사람이 되지 아니하였었나이까
그러나 종을 왕의 상에서 음식 먹는 자 가운데 두셨사오니 내게 오히려 무슨 옳음이
있어서 다시 왕께 부르짖을 수 있사오리이까
19:28 For all my father's family were only dead men before my lord the king: and still
you put your servant among those whose place is at the king's table. What right
then have I to say anything more to the king?
19:28 For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did you set your servant among them that did eat at yours own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
19:29 왕이 저에게 이르되 네가 어찌하여 또 네 일을 말하느냐 내가 이르노니
너는 시바와 밭을 나누라
19:29 And the king said, Say nothing more about these things. I say, Let there be a division
of the land between Ziba and you.
19:29 And the king said unto him, Why speak you any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.
19:30 므비보셋이 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕께서 평안히 궁에 돌아오시게 되었으니
저로 그 전부를 차지하게 하옵소서 하니라
19:30 And Mephibosheth said, Let him take it all, now that my lord the king has come back
to his house in peace!
19:30 And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king has come again in peace unto his own house.
19:31 ○ 길르앗 사람 바르실래가 왕을 보내어 요단을 건네려고 로글림에서 내려와서
함께 요단에 이르니
19:31 And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim; and he went on as far as Jordan
with the king to take him across Jordan.
19:31 And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.
19:32 바르실래는 매우 늙어 나이 팔십 세라 저는 거부인 고로 왕이 마하나임에
유할 때에 왕을 공궤하였더라
19:32 Now Barzillai was a very old man, as much as eighty years old: and he had given
the king everything he had need of, while he was at Mahanaim, for he was a very
great man.
19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.
19:33 왕이 바르실래에게 이르되 너는 나와 함께 건너가자 예루살렘에서 내가 너를
공궤하리라
19:33 And the king said to Barzillai, Come over with me, and I will take care of you in
Jerusalem.
19:33 And the king said unto Barzillai, Come you over with me, and I will feed you with me in Jerusalem.
19:34 바르실래가 왕께 고하되 내 생명의 날이 얼마나 있삽관대 어찌 왕과 함께
예루살렘으로 올라가리이까
19:34 And Barzillai said to the king, How much of my life is still before me, for me to
go up to Jerusalem with the king?
19:34 And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?
19:35 내 나이 이제 팔십 세라 어떻게 좋고 흉한 것을 분간할 수 있사오며 음식의
맛을 알 수 있사오리이까 어떻게 다시 노래하는 남자나 여인의 소리를 알아 들을
수 있사오리이까 어찌하여 종이 내 주 왕께 오히려 누를 끼치리이까
19:35 I am now eighty years old: good and bad are the same to me; have meat and drink
any taste for me now? am I able to take pleasure in the voices of men or women in
song? why then am I to be a trouble to my lord the king?
19:35 I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should your servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
19:36 종은 왕을 모시고 요단을 건너려는 것 뿐이어늘 왕께서 어찌하여 이같은
상으로 내게 갚으려 하시나이까
19:36 Your servant's desire was only to take the king over Jordan; why is the king to
give me such a reward?
19:36 Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
19:37 청컨대 종을 돌려보내옵소서 내가 내 본성 부모의 묘 곁에서 죽으려 하나이다
그러나 왕의 종 김함이 여기 있사오니 청컨대 저로 내 주 왕과 함께 건너가게 하옵시고
왕의 처분대로 저에게 베푸소서
19:37 Let your servant now go back again, so that when death comes to me, it may be in
my town and by the resting-place of my father and mother. But here is your servant
Chimham: let him go with my lord the king, and do for him what seems good to you.
19:37 Let your servant, I pray you, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto you.
19:38 왕이 대답하되 김함이 나와 함께 건너가리니 내가 너의 좋아하는 대로 저에게
베풀겠고 또 네가 내게 구하는 것은 다 너를 위하여 시행하리라 하니라
19:38 And the king said in answer, Let Chimham go over with me, and I will do for him
whatever seems good to you: and whatever your desire is, I will do it for you.
19:38 And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto you: and whatsoever you shall require of me, that will I do for you.
19:39 백성이 다 요단을 건너매 왕도 건너가서 바르실래의 입을 맞추고 위하여 복을
비니 저가 자기 곳으로 돌아가니라
19:39 Then all the people went over Jordan, and the king went over: and the king gave
Barzillai a kiss, with his blessing; and he went back to his place.
19:39 And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.
19:40 ○ 왕이 길갈로 건너오고 김함도 함께 건너오니 온 유다 백성과 이스라엘
백성의 절반이나 왕을 호행하니라
19:40 So the king went over to Gilgal, and Chimham went with him: and all the people of
Judah, as well as half the people of Israel, took the king on his way.
19:40 Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.
19:41 온 이스라엘 사람이 왕께 나아와서 고하되 우리 형제 유다 사람들이 어찌
왕을 도적하여 왕과 왕의 권속과 왕을 좇는 모든 사람을 인도하여 요단을 건네었나이까
하매
19:41 Then the men of Israel came to the king and said, Why have our countrymen of Judah
taken you away in secret and come over Jordan with the king and all his family,
because all his people are David's men?
19:41 And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?
19:42 유다 모든 사람이 이스라엘 사람에게 대답하되 왕은 우리의 지친인 까닭이라
너희가 어찌 이 일에 대하여 분 내느냐 우리가 왕의 물건을 조금이라도 먹었느냐 왕께서
우리에게 선물 주신 것이 있느냐
19:42 And all the men of Judah gave this answer to the men of Israel, Because the king
is our near relation: why then are you angry about this? have we taken any of the
king's food, or has he given us any offering?
19:42 And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be all of you angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or has he given us any gift?
19:43 이스라엘 사람이 유다 사람에게 대답하여 이르되 우리는 왕에 대하여 십분을
가졌으니 다윗에게 대하여 너희보다 더욱 관계가 있거늘 너희가 어찌 우리를 멸시하여
우리 왕을 모셔 오는 일에 먼저 우리와 의논하지 아니하였느냐 하나 유다 사람의
말이 이스라엘 사람의 말보다 더 강경하였더라
19:43 And in answer to the men of Judah, the men of Israel said, We have ten parts in
the king, and we are the first in order of birth: why did you make nothing of us?
and were we not the first to make suggestions for getting the king back? And the
words of the men of Judah were more violent than the words of the men of Israel.
19:43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than all of you: why then did all of you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
20:1 마침 거기 난류 하나가 있으니 베냐민 사람 비그리의 아들 세바라 하는 자라
저가 나팔을 불며 가로되 우리는 다윗과 함께 할 분의가 없으며 이새의 아들과 함께
할 업이 없도다 이스라엘아 각각 장막으로 돌아가라 하매
20:1 Now by chance there was present a good-for-nothing person named Sheba, the son of
Bichri, a Benjamite: and he, sounding the horn, said, We have no part in David,
or any interest in the son of Jesse: let every man go to his tent, O Israel.
20:1 And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
20:2 이에 온 이스라엘 사람들이 다윗 좇기를 그치고 올라가 비그리의 아들 세바를
좇으나 유다 사람들은 왕에게 합하여 요단에서 예루살렘까지 좇으니라
20:2 So all the men of Israel, turning away from David, went after Sheba, the son of
Bichri: but the men of Judah were true to their king, going with him from Jordan
as far as Jerusalem.
20:2 So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.
20:3 ○ 다윗이 예루살렘 본궁에 이르러 전에 머물러 궁을 지키게 한 후궁 열
명을 잡아 별실에 가두고 먹을 것만 주고 더불어 동침치 아니하니 저희가 죽는 날까지
갇혀서 생과부로 지내니라
20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem: and the king took the ten women to whom
he had given the care of the house, and had them shut up, and gave them the necessaries
of life, but did not go near them. So they were shut up till the day of their death,
living as widows.
20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
20:4 ○ 왕이 아마사에게 이르되 너는 나를 위하여 삼 일 내로 유다 사람을 소집하고
너도 여기 있으라
20:4 Then the king said to Amasa, Get all the men of Judah together, and in three days
be here yourself.
20:4 Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be you here present.
20:5 아마사가 유다 사람을 소집하러 가더니 왕의 정한 기한에 지체된지라
20:5 So Amasa went to get all the men of Judah together, but he took longer than the
time David had given him.
20:5 So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
20:6 다윗이 이에 아비새에게 이르되 이제 비그리의 아들 세바가 압살롬보다 우리를
더 해하리니 너는 네 주의 신복들을 거느리고 쫓아가라 저가 견고한 성에 들어가서
우리들을 피할까 염려하노라 하매
20:6 And David said to Abishai, Sheba, the son of Bichri, will do us more damage than
Absalom did; so take some of your lord's servants and go after him, before he makes
himself safe in the walled towns, and gets away before our eyes.
20:6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take you your lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
20:7 요압을 좇는 자들과 그렛 사람들과 블렛 사람들과 모든 용사들이 다 아비새를
따라 비그리의 아들 세바를 쫓으려고 예루살렘에서 나와서
20:7 So there went after Abishai, Joab and the Cherethites and the Pelethites and all
the fighting-men; they went out of Jerusalem to overtake Sheba, the son of Bichri.
20:7 And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:8 기브온 큰 바위 곁에 이르매 아마사가 맞으러 오니 때에 요압이 군복을 입고
띠를 띠고 집에 꽂은 칼을 허리에 매었는데 저가 행할 때에 칼이 빠져 떨어졌더라
20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa came face to face with
them. Now Joab had on his war-dress, and round him a band from which his sword was
hanging in its cover; and while he was walking, it came out, falling to the earth.
20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.
20:9 요압이 아마사에게 이르되 형은 평안하뇨 하며 오른손으로 아마사의 수염을
잡고 그 입을 맞추려는 체하매
20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Is it well, my brother? And with his right hand he took
him by the hair of his chin to give him a kiss.
20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Are you in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.
20:10 아마사가 요압의 손에 있는 칼은 주의치 아니한지라 요압이 칼로 그 배를
찌르매 그 창자가 땅에 흐르니 다시 치지 아니하여도 죽으니라 ○ 요압과 그 동생
아비새가 비그리의 아들 세바를 쫓을새
20:10 But Amasa did not see danger from the sword which was now in Joab's left hand, and
Joab put it through his stomach so that his inside came out on to the earth, and
he did not give him another blow. So Joab and his brother Abishai went on after
Sheba, the son of Bichri.
20:10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he stroke him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:11 요압의 소년 중 하나가 아마사의 곁에 서서 가로되 요압을 좋아하는 자와
다윗을 위하는 자는 요압을 따르라 할 때에
20:11 And one of Joab's young men, taking his place at Amasa's side, said, Whoever is
for Joab and for David, let him go after Joab!
20:11 And one of Joab's men stood by him, and said, He that favours Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.
20:12 아마사가 길 가운데 피 속에 굴어졌는지라 그 소년이 모든 백성의 섰는
것을 보고 아마사를 큰 길에서부터 밭으로 옮겼으나 거기 이르는 자도 다 멈추어
서는 것을 보고 옷을 그 위에 덮으니라
20:12 And Amasa was stretched out in a pool of blood in the middle of the highway. And
when the man saw that all the people were stopping, he took Amasa out of the highway
and put him in a field, with a cloth over him, when he saw that everyone who went
by came to a stop.
20:12 And Amasa wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.
20:13 아마사를 큰 길에서 옮겨가매 사람들이 다 요압을 따라 비그리의 아들 세바를
쫓아가니라
20:13 When he had been taken off the road, all the people went on after Joab in search
of Sheba, the son of Bichri.
20:13 When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
20:14 ○ 요압이 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데 두루 행하여 아벨과 벧마아가와 베림
온 땅에 이르니 그 무리도 다 모여 저를 따르더라
20:14 And Sheba went through all the tribes of Israel, to Abel of Beth-maacah; and all
the Bichrites came together and went in after him.
20:14 And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.
20:15 이에 저희가 벧마아가 아벨로 가서 세바를 에우고 그 성읍을 향하여 해자
언덕 위에 토성을 쌓고 요압과 함께 한 모든 백성이 성벽을 쳐서 헐고자 하더니
20:15 And Joab and his men got him shut up in Abel of Beth-maacah, and put up an earthwork
against the town: and all Joab's men did their best to get the wall broken down.
20:15 And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.
20:16 그 성에서 지혜로운 여인 하나가 외쳐 가로되 들을지어다 들을지어다 청컨대
너희는 요압에게 이르기를 이리로 가까이 오라 내가 네게 말하려 하노라 한다 하라
20:16 Then a wise woman got up on the wall, and crying out from the town, said, Give ear,
give ear; say now to Joab, Come near, so that I may have talk with you.
20:16 Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near here, that I may speak with you.
20:17 요압이 그 여인에게 가까이 가니 여인이 가로되 당신이 요압이니이까 대답하되
그러하다 여인이 저에게 이르되 여종의 말을 들으소서 대답하되 내가 들으리라
20:17 And he came near, and the woman said, Are you Joab? And he said in answer, I am.
Then she said, Give ear to your servant's words. And he said, I am giving ear.
20:17 And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Are you Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of yours handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.
20:18 여인이 말하여 가로되 옛 사람들이 흔히 말하기를 아벨에 가서 물을 것이라
하고 그 일을 끝내었나이다
20:18 Then she said, In the old days, there was a saying, Let them put the question in
Abel and in Dan, saying, Has what was ordered by men of good faith in Israel ever
come to an end?
20:18 Then she spoke, saying, They were known to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
20:19 나는 이스라엘의 화평하고 충성된 자 중 하나이어늘 당신이 이스라엘 가운데
어미 같은 성을 멸하고자 하시는도다 어찌하여 당신이 여호와의 기업을 삼키고자
하시나이까
20:19 Your purpose is the destruction of a mother-town in Israel: why would you put an
end to the heritage of the Lord?
20:19 I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: you seek to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why will you swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
20:20 요압이 대답하여 가로되 결단코 그렇지 아니하다 결단코 그렇지 아니하다
삼키거나 멸하거나 하려 함이 아니니
20:20 And Joab, answering her, said, Far, far be it from me to be a cause of death or
destruction;
20:20 And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
20:21 그 일이 그러한 것이 아니니라 에브라임 산지 사람 비그리의 아들 세바라
하는 자가 손을 들어 왕 다윗을 대적하였나니 너희가 저만 내어주면 내가 이 성읍에서
떠나가리라 여인이 요압에게 이르되 저의 머리를 성벽에서 당신에게 내어 던지리이다
하고
20:21 Not so: but a man of the hill-country of Ephraim, Sheba, son of Bichri, by name,
has taken up arms against the king, against David: give up this man only, and I
will go away from the town. And the woman said to Joab, His head will be dropped
over the wall to you.
20:21 The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall.
20:22 이에 여인이 그 지혜로 모든 백성에게 말하매 저희가 비그리의 아들 세바의
머리를 베어 요압에게 던진지라 이에 요압이 나팔을 불매 무리가 흩어져 성읍에서
물러나서 각기 장막으로 돌아가고 요압은 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 왕에게 나아가니라
20:22 Then the woman in her wisdom had talk with all the town. And they had Sheba's head
cut off and sent out to Joab. And he had the horn sounded, and sent them all away
from the town, every man to his tent. And Joab went back to Jerusalem to the king.
20:22 Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
20:23 ○ 요압은 이스라엘 온 군대의 장관이 되고 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 그렛
사람과 블렛 사람의 장관이 되고
20:23 Now Joab was over all the army; and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was at the head
of the Cherethites and the Pelethites;
20:23 Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:
20:24 아도니람은 감역관이 되고 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이 되고
20:24 And Adoram was overseer of the forced work; and Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud,
was the recorder;
20:24 And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
20:25 스와는 서기관이 되고 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이 되고
20:25 And Sheva was the scribe, and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
20:25 And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
20:26 야일 사람 이라는 다윗의 대신이 되니라
20:26 And in addition, Ira the Jairite was a priest to David.
20:26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.
21:1 다윗의 시대에 년부년 삼 년 기근이 있으므로 다윗이 여호와 앞에 간구하매
여호와께서 가라사대 이는 사울과 피를 흘린 그 집을 인함이니 저가 기브온 사람을
죽였음이니라 하시니라
21:1 In the days of David they were short of food for three years, year after year; and
David went before the Lord for directions. And the Lord said, On Saul and on his
family there is blood, because he put the Gibeonites to death.
21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
21:2 기브온 사람은 이스라엘 족속이 아니요 아모리 사람 중에서 남은 자라 이스라엘
족속들이 전에 저희에게 맹세하였거늘 사울이 이스라엘과 유다 족속을 위하여 열심이
있으므로 저희 죽이기를 꾀하였더라 이에 왕이 기브온 사람을 불러 물으니라
21:2 Then the king sent for the Gibeonites; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children
of Israel, but were the last of the Amorites, to whom the children of Israel had
given an oath; but Saul, in his passion for the children of Israel and Judah, had
made an attempt on their lives:)
21:2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
21:3 다윗이 저희에게 묻되 내가 너희를 위하여 어떻게 하랴 내가 어떻게 속죄하여야
너희가 여호와의 기업을 위하여 복을 빌겠느냐
21:3 So David said to the Gibeonites, What may I do for you? how am I to make up to you
for your wrongs, so that you may give a blessing to the heritage of the Lord?
21:3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that all of you may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
21:4 기브온 사람이 대답하되 사울과 그 집과 우리 사이의 일은 은금에 있지 아니하오나
이스라엘 가운데서 사람을 죽이는 일은 우리에게 있지 아니하니이다 왕이 가로되
너희의 말하는 대로 시행하리라
21:4 And the Gibeonites said to him, It is not a question of silver and gold between
us and Saul or his family; and it is not in our power to put to death any man in
Israel. And he said, Say, then, what am I to do for you?
21:4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shall you kill any man in Israel. And he said, What all of you shall say, that will I do for you.
21:5 저희가 왕께 고하되 우리를 학살하였고 또 우리를 멸하여 이스라엘 경내에
머물지 못하게 하려고 모해한 사람의
21:5 And they said to the king, As for the man by whom we were wasted, and who made designs
against us to have us completely cut off from the land of Israel,
21:5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
21:6 자손 일곱을 내어 주소서 여호와의 빼신 사울의 고을 기브아에서 우리가
저희를 여호와 앞에서 목매어 달겠나이다 왕이 가로되 내가 내어 주리라 하니라
21:6 Let seven men of his family be given up to us and we will put an end to them by
hanging them before the Lord in Gibeon, on the hill of the Lord. And the king said,
I will give them.
21:6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.
21:7 ○ 그러나 다윗과 사울의 아들 요나단 사이에 서로 여호와를 가리켜 맹세한
것이 있으므로 왕이 사울의 손자 요나단의 아들 므비보셋은 아끼고
21:7 But the king did not give up Mephibosheth, the son of Saul's son Jonathan, because
of the Lord's oath made between David and Jonathan, the son of Saul.
21:7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
21:8 이에 아야의 딸 리스바에게서 난 자 곧 사울의 두 아들 알모니와 므비보셋과
사울의 딸 메랍에게서 난 자 곧 므흘랏 사람 바실래의 아들 아드리엘의 다섯 아들을
잡고
21:8 But the king took Armoni and Mephibosheth, the two sons of Saul to whom Rizpah,
the daughter of Aiah, had given birth; and the five sons of Saul's daughter Merab,
whose father was Adriel, the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
21:9 저희를 기브온 사람의 손에 붙이니 기브온 사람이 저희를 산 위에서 여호와
앞에 목매어 달매 저희 일곱 사람이 함께 죽으니 죽은 때는 곡식 베는 처음 날 곧
보리 베기 시작하는 때더라
21:9 And he gave them up to the Gibeonites, and they put them to death, hanging them
on the mountain before the Lord; all seven came to their end together in the first
days of the grain-cutting, at the start of the cutting of the barley.
21:9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
21:10 ○ 아야의 딸 리스바가 굵은 베를 가져다가 자기를 위하여 반석 위에 펴고
곡식 베기 시작할 때부터 하늘에서 비가 시체에 쏟아지기까지 그 시체에 낮에는 공중의
새가 앉지 못하게 하고 밤에는 들짐승이 범하지 못하게 한지라
21:10 And Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, took haircloth, placing it on the rock as a bed
for herself, from the start of the grain-cutting till rain came down on them from
heaven; and she did not let the birds of the air come near them by day, or the beasts
of the field by night.
21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
21:11 이에 아야의 딸 사울의 첩 리스바의 행한 일이 다윗에게 들리매
21:11 And news was given to David of what Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, one of Saul's
wives, had done.
21:11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
21:12 다윗이 가서 사울의 뼈와 그 아들 요나단의 뼈를 길르앗 야베스 사람에게서
취하니 이는 전에 블레셋 사람이 사울을 길보아에서 죽여 벳산 거리에 매어 단 것을
저희가 가만히 가져온 것이라
21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan from the men of Jabesh-gilead,
who had taken them away secretly from the public place of Beth-shan, where the Philistines
had put them, hanging up the bodies there on the day when they put Saul to death
in Gilboa:
21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
21:13 다윗이 그 곳에서 사울의 뼈와 그 아들 요나단의 뼈를 가지고 올라오매
사람들이 그 달려 죽은 자들의 뼈를 거두어다가
21:13 And he took the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan from that place; and they got
together the bones of those who had been put to death by hanging.
21:13 And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
21:14 사울과 그 아들 요나단의 뼈와 함께 베냐민 땅 셀라에서 그 아비 기스의
묘에 장사하되 모두 왕의 명대로 좇아 행하니라 그 후에야 하나님이 그 땅을 위하여
기도를 들으시니라
21:14 And they put them with the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan in the resting-place
of Kish, his father, in Zela in the country of Benjamin; they did all the king had
given them orders to do. And after that, God gave ear to their prayers for the land.
21:14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the tomb of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was implored for the land.
21:15 ○ 블레셋 사람이 다시 이스라엘을 치거늘 다윗이 그 신복들과 함께 내려가서
블레셋 사람과 싸우더니 다윗이 피곤하매
21:15 And the Philistines went to war again with Israel; and David went down with his
people, and while they were at Gob they had a fight with the Philistines:
21:15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
21:16 장대한 자의 아들 중에 삼백 세겔 중 되는 놋 창을 들고 새 칼을 찬 이스비브놉이
다윗을 죽이려 하므로
21:16 And there came against David one of the offspring of the Rephaim, whose spear was
three hundred shekels of brass in weight, and having a new sword, he made an attempt
to put David to death.
21:16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
21:17 스루야의 아들 아비새가 다윗을 도와 그 블레셋 사람을 쳐죽이니 다윗의
종자들이 다윗에게 맹세하여 가로되 왕은 다시 우리와 함께 전장에 나가지 마옵소서
이스라엘의 등불이 꺼지지 말게 하옵소서 하니라
21:17 But Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, came to his help, and, turning on the Philistine,
gave him his death-blow. Then David's men took an oath, and said, Never again are
you to go out with us to the fight, so that you may not put out the light of Israel.
21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and stroke the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore unto him, saying, You shall go no more out with us to battle, that you quench not the light of Israel.
21:18 ○ 그 후에 다시 블레셋 사람과 곱에서 전쟁할 때에 후사 사람 십브개가
장대한 자의 아들 중에 삽을 쳐죽였고
21:18 Now after this there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Sibbecai the
Hushathite put to death Saph, one of the offspring of the Rephaim.
21:18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
21:19 또 다시 블레셋 사람과 곱에서 전쟁할 때에 베들레헴 사람 야레오르김의
아들 엘하난이 가드 골리앗의 아우 라흐미를 죽였는데 그 자의 창 자루는 베틀채
같았더라
21:19 And again there was war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan, the son of Jair
the Beth-lehemite, put to death Goliath the Gittite, the stem of whose spear was
like a cloth-worker's rod.
21:19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
21:20 또 가드에서 전쟁할 때에 그 곳에 키 큰 자 하나는 매손과 매발에 가락이
여섯씩 모두 스물 네 가락이 있는데 저도 장대한 자의 소생이라
21:20 And again there was war at Gath, where there was a very tall man, who had twenty-four
fingers and toes, six fingers on his hands and six toes on his feet; he was one
of the offspring of the Rephaim.
21:20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
21:21 저가 이스라엘 사람을 능욕하므로 다윗의 형 삼마의 아들 요나단이 저를
죽이니라
21:21 And when he was purposing to put shame on Israel, Jonathan, the son of Shimei, David's
brother, put him to death.
21:21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him.
21:22 이 네 사람 가드의 장대한 자의 소생이 다윗의 손과 그 신복의 손에 다
죽었더라
21:22 These four were of the offspring of the Rephaim in Gath; and they came to their
end by the hands of David and his servants.
21:22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
22:1 여호와께서 다윗을 모든 대적의 손과 사울의 손에서 구원하신 그 날에 다윗이
이 노래의 말씀으로 여호와께 아뢰어
22:1 And David made a song to the Lord in these words, on the day when the Lord made
him free from the hands of all his haters, and from the hand of Saul:
22:1 And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
22:2 가로되 여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 자시오
22:2 And he said, The Lord is my Rock, my walled town, and my saviour, even mine;
22:2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
22:3 나의 하나님이시요 나의 피할 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요
나의 높은 망대시요 나의 피란처시요 나의 구원자시라 나를 흉악에서 구원하셨도다
22:3 My God, my Rock, in him will I put my faith; my breastplate, and the horn of my
salvation, my high tower, and my safe place; my saviour, who keeps me safe from
the violent man.
22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; you save me from violence.
22:4 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 얻으리로다
22:4 I will send up my cry to the Lord, who is to be praised; so will I be made safe
from those who are against me.
22:4 I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
22:5 사망의 물결이 나를 에우고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며
22:5 For the waves of death came round me, and the seas of evil put me in fear;
22:5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
22:6 음부의 줄이 나를 두르고 사망의 올무가 내게 이르렀도다
22:6 The cords of hell were round me: the nets of death came on me.
22:6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
22:7 내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 아뢰었더니 저가 그 전에서
내 소리를 들으심이여 나의 부르짖음이 그 귀에 들렸도다
22:7 In my trouble my voice went up to the Lord, and my cry to my God: my voice came
to his hearing in his holy Temple, and my prayer came to his ears.
22:7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
22:8 이에 땅이 진동하고 떨며 하늘 기초가 요동하고 흔들렸으니 그의 진노를
인함이로다
22:8 Then the earth was moved with a violent shock; the bases of heaven were moved and
shaking, because he was angry.
22:8 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was angry.
22:9 그 코에서 연기가 오르고 입에서 불이 나와 사름이여 그 불에 숯이 피었도다
22:9 There went up a smoke from his nose, and a fire of destruction from his mouth: coals
were lighted by it.
22:9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
22:10 저가 또 하늘을 드리우고 강림하시니 그 발 아래는 어둑캄캄하도다
22:10 The heavens were bent, so that he might come down; and it was dark under his feet.
22:10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
22:11 그룹을 타고 날으심이여 바람 날개 위에 나타나셨도다
22:11 And he went through the air, seated on a storm-cloud: going quickly on the wings
of the wind.
22:11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
22:12 저가 흑암 곧 모인 물과 공중의 빽빽한 구름으로 둘린 장막을 삼으심이여
22:12 And he made the dark his tent round him, a mass of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
22:12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
22:13 그 앞에 있는 광채로 인하여 숯불이 피었도다
22:13 Before his shining light his dark clouds went past, raining ice and coals of fire.
22:13 Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
22:14 여호와께서 하늘에서 뇌성을 발하시며 지존하신 자가 음성을 내심이여
22:14 The Lord made thunder in the heavens, and the voice of the Highest was sounding
out.
22:14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
22:15 살을 날려 저희를 흩으시며 번개로 파하셨도다
22:15 And he sent out his arrows, driving them in all directions; by his flames of fire
they were troubled.
22:15 And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and humiliated them.
22:16 이럴 때에 여호와의 꾸지람과 콧김을 인하여 물 밑이 드러나고 땅의 기초가
나타났도다
22:16 Then the deep beds of the sea were seen, and the bases of the world were uncovered,
because of the Lord's wrath, because of the breath of his mouth.
22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
22:17 저가 위에서 보내사 나를 취하심이여 많은 물에서 나를 건져내셨도다
22:17 He sent from on high, he took me, pulling me out of great waters.
22:17 He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
22:18 나를 강한 원수와 미워하는 자에게서 건지셨음이여 저희는 나보다 힘센
연고로다
22:18 He made me free from my strong hater, from those who were against me, because they
were stronger than I.
22:18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
22:19 저희가 나의 재앙의 날에 내게 이르렀으나 여호와께서 나의 의지가 되셨도다
22:19 They came on me in the day of my trouble: but the Lord was my support.
22:19 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
22:20 나를 또 넓은 곳으로 인도하시고 나를 기뻐하시므로 구원하셨도다
22:20 He took me out into a wide place; he was my saviour because he had delight in me.
22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
22:21 여호와께서 내 의를 따라 상 주시며 내 손의 깨끗함을 좇아 갚으셨으니
22:21 The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before
him.
22:21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.
22:22 이는 내가 여호와의 도를 지키고 악을 행하여 내 하나님을 떠나지 아니하였으며
22:22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my
God.
22:22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22:23 그 모든 규례를 내 앞에 두고 그 율례를 버리지 아니하였음이로다
22:23 For all his decisions were before me, and I did not put away his laws from me.
22:23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
22:24 내가 또 그 앞에 완전하여 스스로 지켜 죄악을 피하였나니
22:24 And I was upright before him, and I kept myself from sin.
22:24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
22:25 그러므로 여호와께서 내 의대로, 그 목전에 내 깨끗한 대로 내게 갚으셨도다
22:25 Because of this the Lord has given me the reward of my righteousness, because my
hands are clean in his eyes.
22:25 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
22:26 자비한 자에게는 주의 자비하심을 나타내시며 완전한 자에게는 주의 완전하심을
보이시며
22:26 On him who has mercy you will have mercy; to the upright you will be upright;
22:26 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright.
22:27 깨끗한 자에게는 주의 깨끗하심을 보이시며 사특한 자에게는 주의 거스리심을
보이시리이다
22:27 He who is holy will see that you are holy; but to the man whose way is not straight
you will be a hard judge.
22:27 With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the perverse you will show yourself unpleasing.
22:28 주께서 곤고한 백성은 구원하시고 교만한 자를 살피사 낮추시리이다
22:28 For you are the saviour of those who are in trouble; but your eyes are on men of
pride, to make them low.
22:28 And the afflicted people you will save: but yours eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down.
22:29 여호와여 주는 나의 등불이시니 여호와께서 나의 흑암을 밝히시리이다
22:29 For you are my light, O Lord; and the Lord will make the dark bright for me.
22:29 For you are my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
22:30 내가 주를 의뢰하고 적군에 달리며 내 하나님을 의지하고 성벽을 뛰어넘나이다
22:30 By your help I have made a way through the wall which was shutting me in: by the
help of my God I have gone over a wall.
22:30 For by you I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
22:31 하나님의 도는 완전하고 여호와의 말씀은 정미하니 저는 자기에게 피하는
모든 자에게 방패시로다
22:31 As for God, his way is all good: the word of the Lord is tested; he is a safe cover
for all those who put their faith in him.
22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
22:32 여호와 외에 누가 하나님이며 우리 하나님 외에 누가 바위뇨
22:32 For who is God but the Lord? and who is a Rock but our God?
22:32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
22:33 하나님은 나의 견고한 요새시며 나를 온전한 곳으로 인도하시며
22:33 God puts a strong band about me, guiding me in a straight way.
22:33 God is my strength and power: and he makes my way perfect.
22:34 나의 발로 암사슴 발 같게 하시며 나를 나의 높은 곳에 세우시며
22:34 He makes my feet like roes' feet, and puts me on high places.
22:34 He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.
22:35 내 손을 가르쳐 싸우게 하시니 내 팔이 놋 활을 당기도다
22:35 He makes my hands expert in war, so that a bow of brass is bent by my arms.
22:35 He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
22:36 주께서 또 주의 구원의 방패를 내게 주시며 주의 온유함이 나를 크게 하셨나이다
22:36 You have given me the breastplate of your salvation, and your mercy has made me
great.
22:36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.
22:37 내 걸음을 넓게 하셨고 나로 실족지 않게 하셨나이다
22:37 You have made my steps wide under me, so that my feet make no slip.
22:37 You have enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
22:38 내가 내 원수를 따라 멸하였사오며 저희를 무찌르기 전에는 돌이키지 아니하였나이다
22:38 I go after my haters and overtake them; not turning back till they are all overcome.
22:38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
22:39 내가 저희를 무찔러 파하였더니 저희가 내 발 아래 엎드러지고 능히 일어나지
못하였나이다
22:39 I have sent destruction on them and given them wounds, so that they are not able
to get up: they are stretched under my feet.
22:39 And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
22:40 이는 주께서 나로 전쟁케 하려고 능력으로 내게 띠 띠우사 일어나 나를
치는 자로 내게 굴복케 하셨사오며
22:40 For I have been armed by you with strength for the fight: you have made low under
me those who came out against me.
22:40 For you have girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me have you subdued under me.
22:41 주께서 또 내 원수들로 등을 내게로 향하게 하시고 나로 나를 미워하는
자를 끊어 버리게 하셨음이니이다
22:41 By you their backs are turned in flight, so that my haters are cut off.
22:41 You have also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
22:42 저희가 둘러보아도 구원할 자가 없었고 여호와께 부르짖어도 대답지 아니하셨나이다
22:42 They were crying out, but there was no one to come to their help: even to the Lord,
but he gave them no answer.
22:42 They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
22:43 내가 저희를 땅의 티끌 같이 부스러뜨리고 거리의 진흙 같이 밟아 헤쳤나이다
22:43 Then they were crushed as small as the dust of the earth, stamped down under my
feet like the waste of the streets.
22:43 Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
22:44 주께서 또 나를 내 백성의 다툼에서 건지시고 나를 보존하사 열방의 으뜸을
삼으셨으니 내가 알지 못하는 백성이 나를 섬기리이다
22:44 You have made me free from the fightings of my people; you have made me the head
of the nations: a people of whom I had no knowledge will be my servants.
22:44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people, you have kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
22:45 이방인들이 내게 굴복함이여 저희가 내 풍성을 듣고 곧 순복하리로다
22:45 Men of other countries will, with false hearts, put themselves under my authority:
from the time when my name comes to their ears, they will be ruled by me.
22:45 Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
22:46 이방인들이 쇠미하여 그 견고한 곳에서 떨며 나오리로다
22:46 They will be wasted away, they will come out of their secret places shaking with
fear.
22:46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
22:47 여호와는 생존하시니 나의 바위를 찬송하며 내 구원의 바위이신 하나님을
높일지로다
22:47 The Lord is living; praise be to my Rock, and let the God of my salvation be honoured:
22:47 The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
22:48 이 하나님이 나를 위하여 보수하시고 민족들로 내게 복종케 하시며
22:48 It is God who sends punishment on my haters, and puts peoples under my rule.
22:48 It is God that avenges me, and that brings down the people under me.
22:49 나를 원수들에게서 나오게 하시며 나를 대적하는 자 위에 나를 드시고 나를
강포한 자에게서 건지시는도다
22:49 He makes me free from my haters: I am lifted up over those who come up against me:
you have made me free from the violent man.
22:49 And that brings me forth from mine enemies: you also have lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.
22:50 이러므로 여호와여 내가 열방 중에서 주께 감사하며 주의 이름을 찬양하리이다
22:50 Because of this I will give you praise, O Lord, among the nations, and will make
a song of praise to your name.
22:50 Therefore I will give thanks unto you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto your name.
22:51 여호와께서 그 왕에게 큰 구원을 주시며 기름 부음 받은 자에게 인자를
베푸심이여 영원토록 다윗과 그 후손에게로다 하였더라
22:51 Great salvation does he give to his king; he has mercy on the king of his selection,
David, and on his seed for ever.
22:51 He is the tower of salvation for his king: and shows mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
23:1 이는 다윗의 마지막 말이라 이새의 아들 다윗이 말함이여 높이 올리운
자,
야곱의 하나님에게 기름 부음 받은 자, 이스라엘의 노래 잘하는 자가 말하도다
23:1 Now these are the last words of David. David, the son of Jesse, says, the man who
was lifted up on high, the man on whom the God of Jacob put the holy oil, the loved
one of Israel's songs, says:
23:1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
23:2 여호와의 신이 나를 빙자하여 말씀하심이여 그 말씀이 내 혀에 있도다
23:2 The spirit of the Lord had voice through me, his word was on my tongue.
23:2 The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.
23:3 이스라엘의 하나님이 말씀하시며 이스라엘의 바위가 내게 이르시기를 사람을
공의로 다스리는 자, 하나님을 경외함으로 다스리는 자여
23:3 The God of Israel said, the word of the Rock of Israel came to me: When an upright
king is ruling over men, when he is ruling in the fear of God,
23:3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
23:4 저는 돋는 해 아침 빛 같고 구름 없는 아침 같고 비 후의 광선으로 땅에서
움이 돋는 새 풀 같으니라 하시도다
23:4 It is as the light of the morning, when the sun comes up, a morning without clouds;
making young grass come to life from the earth.
23:4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
23:5 내 집이 하나님 앞에 이같지 아니하냐 하나님이 나로 더불어 영원한 언약을
세우사 만사에 구비하고 견고케 하셨으니 나의 모든 구원과 나의 모든 소원을 어찌
이루지 아니하시랴
23:5 For is not my house so with God? For he has made with me an eternal agreement, ordered
in all things and certain: as for all my salvation and all my desire, will he not
give it increase?
23:5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
23:6 그러나 사악한 자는 다 내어버리울 가시나무 같으니 이는 손으로 잡을 수
없음이로다
23:6 But the evil-doers, all of them, will be like thorns to be pushed away, because
they may not be gripped in the hand:
23:6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
23:7 그것들을 만지는 자는 철과 창자루를 가져야 하리니 그것들이 당장에 불사르이리로다
하니라
23:7 But anyone touching them has to be armed with iron and the rod of a spear; and they
will be burned with fire, every one of them.
23:7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.
23:8 ○ 다윗의 용사들의 이름이 이러하니라 다그몬 사람 요셉밧세벳이라고도
하고 에센 사람 아디노라고도 하는 자는 군장의 두목이라 저가 한 때에 팔백 인을
쳐죽였더라
23:8 These are the names of David's men of war: Ishbaal the Hachmonite, chief of the
three; his axe was lifted up against eight hundred put to death at one time.
23:8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at the same.
23:9 ○ 그 다음은 아호아 사람 도대의 아들 엘르아살이니 다윗과 함께 한 세
용사 중에 하나이라 블레셋 사람이 싸우려고 모이매 이스라엘 사람들이 물러간지라
세 용사가 싸움을 돋우고
23:9 After him was Eleazar, the son of Dodai the Ahohite, one of the three great fighters,
who was with David in Pas-dammim when the Philistines came together there for the
fight; and when the men of Israel had gone in flight,
23:9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:
23:10 저가 나가서 손이 피곤하여 칼에 붙기까지 블레셋 사람을 치니라 그 날에
여호와께서 크게 이기게 하셨으므로 백성들은 돌아와서 저의 뒤를 따라가며 노략할
뿐이었더라
23:10 He was with David and went on fighting the Philistines till his hand became tired
and stiff from gripping his sword: and that day the Lord gave a great salvation,
and the people came back after him only to take the goods of the Philistines.
23:10 He arose, and stroke the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.
23:11 ○ 그 다음은 하랄 사람 아게의 아들 삼마라 블레셋 사람이 떼를 지어 녹두나무가
가득한 밭에 모이매 백성들은 블레셋 사람 앞에서 도망하되
23:11 After him was Shammah, the son of Ela the Hararite. And the Philistines came together
in Lehi, where there was a bit of land full of seed; and the people went in flight
from the Philistines.
23:11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled from the Philistines.
23:12 저는 그 밭 가운데 서서 막아 블레셋 사람을 친지라 여호와께서 큰 구원을
이루시니라
23:12 But he kept his place in the middle of the bit of land, and kept back their attack
and overcame the Philistines: and the Lord gave a great salvation.
23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.
23:13 ○ 또 삼십 두목 중 세 사람이 곡식 벨 때에 아둘람 굴에 이르러 다윗에게
나아갔는데 때에 블레셋 사람의 떼가 르바임 골짜기에 진 쳤더라
23:13 And three of the thirty went down at the start of the grain-cutting, and they came
to David at the strong place of Adullam; and the band of Philistines had taken up
their position in the valley of Rephaim.
23:13 And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
23:14 그 때에 다윗은 산성에 있고 블레셋 사람의 영채는 베들레헴에 있는지라
23:14 And at that time David had taken cover in the strong place, and an armed force of
the Philistines was in Beth-lehem.
23:14 And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
23:15 다윗이 사모하여 가로되 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 누가 나로 마시게
할꼬 하매
23:15 And David, moved by a strong desire, said, If only someone would give me a drink
of water from the water-hole of Beth-lehem, by the doorway into the town!
23:15 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!
23:16 세 용사가 블레셋 사람의 군대를 충돌하고 지나가서 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물
물을 길어 가지고 다윗에게로 왔으나 다윗이 마시기를 기뻐 아니하고 그 물을 여호와께
부어 드리며
23:16 And the three men, forcing their way through the Philistine army, got water from
the water-hole of Beth-lehem, by the doorway into the town, and took it back to
David: but he would not take it, but, draining it out, made an offering of it to
the Lord.
23:16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
23:17 가로되 여호와여 내가 결단코 이런 일을 하지 아니하리이다 이는 생명을
돌아보지 아니하고 갔던 사람들의 피니이다 하고 마시기를 즐겨 아니하니라 세 용사가
이런 일을 행하였더라
23:17 And he said, Far be it from me, O Lord, to do this; how may I take as my drink the
life-blood of men who have put their lives in danger? So he would not take it. These
things did the three great men of war.
23:17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
23:18 ○ 또 스루야의 아들 요압의 아우 아비새니 저는 그 삼 인의 두목이라 저가
창을 들어 삼백 인을 죽이고 그 삼 인 중에 이름을 얻었으니
23:18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the thirty. He
put to death three hundred with his spear, and he got for himself a name among the
thirty.
23:18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.
23:19 저는 삼 인 중에 가장 존귀한 자가 아니냐 저가 저희의 두목이 되었으나
그러나 첫 삼 인에게는 미치지 못하였더라
23:19 Was he not the noblest of the thirty? so he was made their captain: but he was not
equal to the first three.
23:19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: nevertheless he attained not unto the first three.
23:20 ○ 또 갑스엘 용사의 손자 여호야다의 아들 브나야니 저는 효용한 일을
행한 자라 일찌기 모압 아리엘의 아들 둘을 죽였고 또 눈 올 때에 함정에 내려가서
한 사자를 죽였으며
23:20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a fighting man of Kabzeel, had done great acts;
he put to death the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down into a hole and put
a lion to death in time of snow:
23:20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
23:21 또 장대한 애굽 사람을 죽였는데 그의 손에 창이 있어도 저가 막대를 가지고
내려가서 그 애굽 사람의 손에서 창을 빼앗아 그 창으로 죽였더라
23:21 And he made an attack on an Egyptian, a tall man: and the Egyptian had a spear in
his hand; but he went down to him with a stick, and pulling the spear out of the
hands of the Egyptian, put him to death with that same spear.
23:21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
23:22 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 이런 일을 행하였으므로 세 용사 중에 이름을 얻고
23:22 These were the acts of Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, who had a great name among
the thirty men of war.
23:22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.
23:23 삼십 인보다 존귀하나 그러나 첫 삼 인에게는 미치지 못하였더라 다윗이
저를 세워 시위대 장관을 삼았더라
23:23 He was honoured over the rest of the thirty, but he was not equal to the first three.
And David put him over the fighting men who kept him safe.
23:23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

24:1 여호와께서 다시 이스라엘을 향하여 진노하사 저희를 치시려고 다윗을 감동시키사
가서 이스라엘과 유다의 인구를 조사하라 하신지라
24:1 Again the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and moving David against
them, he said, Go, take the number of Israel and Judah.
24:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
24:2 왕이 이에 그 곁에 있는 군대 장관 요압에게 이르되 너는 이스라엘 모든
지파 가운데로 다니며 단에서부터 브엘세바까지 인구를 조사하여 그 도수를 내게
알게 하라
24:2 And the king said to Joab and the captains of the army, who were with him, Go now
through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, and have all the
people numbered, so that I may be certain of the number of the people.
24:2 For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number all of you the people, that I may know the number of the people.
24:3 요압이 왕께 고하되 이 백성은 얼마든지 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 백 배나
더하게 하사 내 주 왕의 눈으로 보게 하시기를 원하나이다 그런데 내 주 왕은 어찌하여
이런 일을 기뻐하시나이까 하되
24:3 And Joab said to the king, Whatever the number of the people, may the Lord make
it a hundred times as much, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why
does my lord the king take pleasure in doing this thing?
24:3 And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD your God add unto the people, no matter how many they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?
24:4 왕의 명령이 요압과 군대 장관들을 재촉한지라 요압과 장관들이 이스라엘
인구를 조사하려고 왕의 앞에서 물러나서
24:4 But the king's order was stronger than Joab and the captains of the army. And Joab
and the captains of the army went out from the king, to take the number of the children
of Israel.
24:4 Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.
24:5 요단을 건너 갓 골짜기 가운데 성읍 아로엘 우편 곧 야셀 맞은편에 이르러
장막을 치고
24:5 And they went over Jordan, and starting from Aroer, from the town which is in the
middle of the valley, they went in the direction of the Gadites, and on to Jazer;
24:5 And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lies in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:
24:6 길르앗에 이르고 닷딤홋시 땅에 이르고 또 다냐안에 이르러서는 시돈으로
돌아서
24:6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of the Hittites under Hermon; and they
came to Dan, and from Dan they came round to Zidon,
24:6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon,
24:7 두로 견고한 성에 이르고 히위 사람과 가나안 사람의 모든 성읍에 이르고
유다 남편으로 나와서 브엘세바에 이르니라
24:7 And to the walled town of Tyre, and to all the towns of the Hivites and the Canaanites:
and they went out to the South of Judah at Beer-sheba.
24:7 And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.
24:8 저희 무리가 국중을 두루 돌아 아홉 달 스무 날 만에 예루살렘에 이르러
24:8 So after going through all the land in every direction, they came to Jerusalem at
the end of nine months and twenty days.
24:8 So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
24:9 요압이 인구 도수를 왕께 고하니 곧 이스라엘에서 칼을 빼는 담대한 자가
팔십만이요 유다 사람이 오십만이었더라
24:9 And Joab gave the king the number of all the people: there were in Israel eight
hundred thousand fighting men able to take up arms; and the men of Judah were five
hundred thousand.
24:9 And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
24:10 ○ 다윗이 인구 수를 조사한 후에 그 마음에 자책하고 여호와께 아뢰되
내가 이 일을 행함으로 큰 죄를 범하였나이다 여호와여 이제 간구하옵나니 종의 죄를
사하여 주옵소서 내가 심히 미련하게 행하였나이다 하니라
24:10 And after the people had been numbered, David's heart was troubled. And David said
to the Lord, Great has been my sin in doing this; but now, O Lord, be pleased to
take away the sin of your servant, for I have done very foolishly
24:10 And David's heart stroke him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I plead to you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.
24:11 다윗이 아침에 일어날 때에 여호와의 말씀이 다윗의 선견자 된 선지자 갓에게
임하여 가라사대
24:11 And David got up in the morning; now the word of the Lord had come to the prophet
Gad, David's seer, saying,
24:11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
24:12 가서 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 내가 네게 세 가지를 보이노니
너는 그 중에서 하나를 택하라 내가 그것을 네게 행하리라 하셨다 하라
24:12 Go and say to David, The Lord says, Three things are offered to you: say which of
them you will have, and I will do it to you.
24:12 Go and say unto David, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things; choose you one of them, that I may do it unto you.
24:13 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 고하여 가로되 왕의 땅에 칠 년 기근이 있을 것이니이까
혹시 왕이 왕의 대적에게 쫓겨 석 달을 그 앞에서 도망하실 것이니이까 혹시 왕의
땅에 삼 일 동안 온역이 있을 것이니이까 왕은 생각하여 보고 나를 보내신 이에게
대답하게 하소서
24:13 So Gad came to David, and gave him word of this and said to him, Are there to be
three years when there is not enough food in your land? or will you go in flight
from your haters for three months, while they go after you? or will you have three
days of violent disease in your land? take thought and say what answer I am to give
to him who sent me.
24:13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto you in your land? or will you flee three months before yours enemies, while they pursue you? or that there be three days' pestilence in your land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
24:14 다윗이 갓에게 이르되 내가 곤경에 있도다 여호와께서는 긍휼이 크시니
우리가 여호와의 손에 빠지고 내가 사람의 손에 빠지지 않기를 원하노라
24:14 And David said to Gad, This is a hard decision for me to make: let us come into
the hands of the Lord, for great are his mercies: let me not come into the hands
of men.
24:14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
24:15 이에 여호와께서 그 아침부터 정하신 때까지 온역을 이스라엘에게 내리시니
단부터 브엘세바까지 백성의 죽은 자가 칠만 인이라
24:15 So David made selection of the disease; and the time was the days of the grain-cutting,
when the disease came among the people, causing the death of seventy thousand men
from Dan as far as Beer-sheba.
24:15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.
24:16 천사가 예루살렘을 향하여 그 손을 들어 멸하려 하더니 여호와께서 이 재앙
내림을 뉘우치사 백성을 멸하는 천사에게 이르시되 족하다 이제는 네 손을 거두라
하시니 때에 여호와의 사자가 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당 곁에 있는지라
24:16 And when the hand of the angel was stretched out in the direction of Jerusalem,
for its destruction, the Lord had regret for the evil, and said to the angel who
was sending destruction on the people, It is enough; do no more. And the angel of
the Lord was by the grain-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now yours hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:17 다윗이 백성을 치는 천사를 보고 곧 여호와께 아뢰어 가로되 나는 범죄하였고
악을 행하였삽거니와 이 양 무리는 무엇을 행하였나이까 청컨대 주의 손으로 나와
내 아비의 집을 치소서 하니라
24:17 And when David saw the angel who was causing the destruction of the people, he said
to the Lord, Truly, the sin is mine; I have done wrong: but these are only sheep;
what have they done? let your hand be against me and against my family.
24:17 And David spoke unto the LORD when he saw the angel that stroke the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let yours hand, I pray you, be against me, and against my father's house.
24:18 ○ 이 날에 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 고하되 올라가서 여부스 사람 아라우나의
타작 마당에서 여호와를 위하여 단을 쌓으소서 하매
24:18 And that day Gad came to David and said to him, Go up, and put up an altar to the
Lord on the grain-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:18 And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:19 다윗이 여호와의 명하신 바 갓의 말대로 올라가니라
24:19 So David went up, as Gad had said and as the Lord had given orders.
24:19 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
24:20 아라우나가 바라보다가 왕과 그 신복들이 자기를 향하여 옴을 보고 나가서
왕의 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하며
24:20 And Araunah, looking out, saw the king and his servants coming to him: and Araunah
went out, and went down on his face to the earth before the king.
24:20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
24:21 가로되 어찌하여 내 주 왕께서 종에게 임하시나이까 다윗이 가로되 네게서
타작 마당을 사서 여호와께 단을 쌓아 백성에게 내리는 재앙을 그치게 하려 함이로라
24:21 And Araunah said, Why has my lord the king come to his servant? And David said,
To give you a price for your grain-floor, so that I may put up an altar to the Lord,
and the disease may be stopped among the people.
24:21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing floor of you, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
24:22 아라우나가 다윗에게 고하되 원컨대 내 주 왕은 좋게 여기시는 대로 취하여
드리소서 번제에 대하여는 소가 있고 땔 나무에 대하여는 마당질하는 제구와 소의
멍에가 있나이다
24:22 And Araunah said to David, Let my lord the king take whatever seems right to him,
and make an offering of it: see, here are the oxen for the burned offering, and
the grain-cleaning instruments and the ox-yokes for wood:
24:22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seems good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
24:23 왕이여 아라우나가 이것을 다 왕께 드리나이다 하고 또 왕께 고하되 왕의
하나님 여호와께서 왕을 기쁘게 받으시기를 원하나이다
24:23 All this does the servant of my lord the king give to the king. And Araunah said,
May the Lord your God be pleased with your offering!
24:23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD your God accept you.
24:24 왕이 아라우나에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 값을 주고 네게서 사리라
값 없이는 내 하나님 여호와께 번제를 드리지 아니하리라 하고 은 오십 세겔로 타작
마당과 소를 사고
24:24 And the king said to Araunah, No, but I will give you a price for it; I will not
give to the Lord my God burned offerings for which I have given nothing. So David
got the grain-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of you at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which does cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
24:25 그 곳에서 여호와를 위하여 단을 쌓고 번제와 화목제를 드렸더니 이에 여호와께서
그 땅을 위하여 기도를 들으시매 이스라엘에게 내리는 재앙이 그쳤더라
24:25 And there David put up an altar to the Lord, making burned offerings and peace-offerings.
So the Lord gave ear to his prayer for the land, and the disease came to an end
in Israel.
24:25 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was implored for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel. #@#
