1:1 다윗 왕이 나이 많아 늙으니 이불을 덮어도 따뜻하지 아니한지라
1:1 Now King David was old and far on in years; and though they put covers over him,
his body was cold.
1:1 Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with
clothes, but he got no heat.
1:2 그 신복들이 왕께 고하되 우리 주 왕을 위하여 젊은 처녀 하나를 구하여 저로
왕을 모셔 봉양하고 왕의 품에 누워 우리 주 왕으로 따뜻하시게 하리이다 하고
1:2 So his servants said to him, Let search be made for a young virgin for my lord the
king, to take care of him and be waiting on him; and you may take her in your arms,
and so my lord the king will be warm.
1:2 Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord
the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish
him, and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.
1:3 이스라엘 사방 경내에 아리따운 동녀를 구하다가 수넴 여자 아비삭을 얻어
왕께 데려왔으니
1:3 So after searching through all the land of Israel for a fair young girl, they saw
Abishag the Shunammite, and took her to the king.
1:3 So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel,
and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
1:4 이 동녀는 심히 아리따운 자라 저가 왕을 봉양하며 수종하였으나 왕이 더불어
동침하지 아니하였더라
1:4 Now she was very beautiful; and she took care of the king, waiting on him at all
times; but the king had no connection with her.
1:4 And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered
to him: but the king had sexual contact with her not.
1:5 ○ 때에 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 스스로 높여서 이르기를 내가 왕이 되리라
하고 자기를 위하여 병거와 기병과 전배 오십 인을 예비하니
1:5 Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, lifting himself up in pride, said, I will become
king; and he made ready his carriages of war and his horsemen, with fifty runners
to go before him.
1:5 Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king:
and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.
1:6 저는 압살롬의 다음에 난 자요 체용이 심히 준수한 자라 그 부친이 네가 어찌하여
그리하였느냐 하는 말로 한 번도 저를 섭섭하게 한 일이 없었더라
1:6 Now all his life his father had never gone against him or said to him, Why have
you done so? and he was a very good-looking man, and younger than Absalom.
1:6 And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why have
you done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after
Absalom.
1:7 아도니야가 스루야의 아들 요압과 제사장 아비아달과 모의하니 저희가 좇아
도우나
1:7 And he had talk with Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest; and
they were on his side and gave him their support.
1:7 And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the
priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.
1:8 제사장 사독과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 선지자 나단과 시므이와 레이와
다윗에게 속한 용사들은 아도니야와 같이 하지 아니하였더라
1:8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet and
Shimei and Rei, and David's men of war did not take the side of Adonijah.
1:8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the
prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were
not with Adonijah.
1:9 아도니야가 에느로겔 근방 소헬렛 돌 곁에서 양과 소와 살진 송아지를 잡고
왕자 곧 자기의 모든 동생과 왕의 신복 유다 모든 사람을 다 청하였으나
1:9 Then Adonijah put to death sheep and oxen and fat beasts by the stone of Zoheleth,
by En-rogel; and he sent for all his brothers, the king's sons, and all the men
of Judah, the king's servants, to come to him:
1:9 And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth,
which is by Enrogel, and called all his brethren the king's sons, and all the
men of Judah the king's servants:
1:10 선지자 나단과 브나야와 용사들과 자기 동생 솔로몬은 청하지 아니하였더라
1:10 But he did not send for Nathan the prophet and Benaiah and the other men of war
and Solomon his brother.
1:10 But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon
his brother, he called not.
1:11 ○ 나단이 솔로몬의 모친 밧세바에게 고하여 가로되 학깃의 아들 아도니야가
왕이 됨을 듣지 못하였나이까 우리 주 다윗은 알지 못하시나이다
1:11 Then Nathan said to Bath-sheba, the mother of Solomon, Has it not come to your ears
that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has made himself king without the knowledge of
David our lord?
1:11 Wherefore Nathan spoke unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,
Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith does reign, and David our
lord knows it not?
1:12 이제 나로 당신의 생명과 당신의 아들 솔로몬의 생명 구원할 계교 베풀기를
허락하소서
1:12 So now, let me make a suggestion, so that you may keep your life safe and the life
of your son Solomon.
1:12 Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you counsel, that you may
save yours own life, and the life of your son Solomon.
1:13 당신은 다윗 왕 앞에 들어가서 고하기를 내 주 왕이여 전에 왕이 계집종에게
맹세하여 이르시기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에 앉으리라
하지 아니하셨나이까 그런데 아도니야가 무슨 연고로 왕이 되었나이까 하소서
1:13 Come now, go to King David and say to him, Did you not, O my lord, take an oath
to me, your servant, saying, Truly Solomon your son will be king after me, seated
on the seat of my kingdom? why then is Adonijah acting as king?
1:13 Go and get you in unto king David, and say unto him, Did not you, my
lord, O king, swear unto yours handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son
shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then does Adonijah
reign?
1:14 당신이 거기서 왕과 말씀할 때에 나도 이어 들어가서 당신의 말씀을 증거하리이다
1:14 And while you are still talking there with the king, see, I will come in after you
and say that your story is true.
1:14 Behold, while you yet talk there with the king, I also will come in
after you, and confirm your words.
1:15 ○ 밧세바가 이에 침실에 들어가 왕에게 이르니 왕이 심히 늙었음으로 수넴
여자 아비삭이 시종하였더라
1:15 Then Bath-sheba went into the king's room; now the king was very old, and Abishag
the Shunammite was waiting on him.
1:15 And Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was
very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king.
1:16 밧세바가 몸을 굽혀 왕께 절하니 왕이 이르되 어찜이냐
1:16 And Bath-sheba went down on her face on the earth before the king giving him honour.
And he said, What is your desire?
1:16 And Bathsheba bowed, and did reverence unto the king. And the king said,
What would you?
1:17 저가 왕께 대답하되 내 주여 왕이 전에 왕의 하나님 여호와를 가리켜 계집종에게
맹세하시기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에 앉으리라 하셨거늘
1:17 And she said to him, My lord, you took an oath by the Lord your God and gave your
word to your servant, saying, Truly, Solomon your son will be king after me, seated
on the seat of my kingdom.
1:17 And she said unto him, My lord, you sware by the LORD your God unto
yours handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and
he shall sit upon my throne.
1:18 이제 아도니야가 왕이 되었어도 내 주 왕은 알지 못하시나이다
1:18 And now, see, Adonijah has made himself king without my lord's knowledge;
1:18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and now, my lord the king, you know
it not:
1:19 저가 수소와 살진 송아지와 양을 많이 잡고 왕의 모든 아들과 제사장 아비아달과
군대 장관 요압을 청하였으나 왕의 종 솔로몬은 청치 아니하였나이다
1:19 And has put to death oxen and fat beasts and sheep in great numbers, and has sent
for all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab, the captain of
the army; but he has not sent for Solomon your servant.
1:19 And he has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and has
called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain
of the host: but Solomon your servant has he not called.
1:20 내 주 왕이여 온 이스라엘이 왕에게 다 주목하고 누가 내 주 왕을 이어 그
위에 앉을 것을 반포하시기를 기다리나이다
1:20 And now, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, waiting for you to
say who is to take the place of my lord the king after him.
1:20 And you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon you, that
you should tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
1:21 그렇지 아니하면 내 주 왕께서 그 열조와 함께 잘 때에 나와 내 아들 솔로몬은
죄인이 되리이다
1:21 For as things are, it will come about, when my lord the king is sleeping with his
fathers, that I and Solomon my son will be made outlaws.
1:21 Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with
his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.
1:22 ○ 밧세바가 왕과 말씀할 때에 선지자 나단이 들어온지라
1:22 And while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet came in.
1:22 And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also
came in.
1:23 혹이 왕께 고하여 가로되 선지자 나단이 여기 있나이다 하니 저가 왕 앞에
들어와서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 왕께 절하고
1:23 And they said to the king, Here is Nathan the prophet. And when he came in before
the king, he went down on his face on the earth.
1:23 And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when
he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face
to the ground.
1:24 가로되 내 주 왕께서 이르시기를 아도니야가 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에
앉으리라 하셨나이까
1:24 And Nathan said, O my lord king, have you said, Adonijah is to be king after me,
seated on the seat of my kingdom?
1:24 And Nathan said, My lord, O king, have you said, Adonijah shall reign
after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
1:25 저가 오늘 내려가서 수소와 살진 송아지와 양을 많이 잡고 왕의 모든 아들과
군대 장관들과 제사장 아비아달을 청하였는데 저희가 아도니야 앞에서 먹고 마시며
아도니야 왕 만세를 불렀나이다
1:25 Because today he has gone down and has put to death oxen and fat beasts and sheep
in great numbers, and has sent for all the king's sons to come to him, with the
captains of the army and Abiathar the priest; and they are feasting before him and
crying, Long life to King Adonijah!
1:25 For he is gone down this day, and has slain oxen and fat cattle and
sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and the captains of
the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him,
and say, God save king Adonijah.
1:26 그러나 왕의 종 나와 제사장 사독과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 왕의 종 솔로몬은
청치 아니하였사오니
1:26 But me, your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and
your servant Solomon, he has not sent for.
1:26 But me, even me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the
son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon, has he not called.
1:27 이것이 내 주 왕의 하신 일이니이까 그런데 왕께서 내 주 왕을 이어 그 위에
앉을 자를 종에게 알게 하지 아니하셨나이다
1:27 Has this thing been done by my lord the king, without giving word to your servants
who was to be placed on my lord the king's seat after him?
1:27 Is this thing done by my lord the king, and you have not showed it unto
your servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?
1:28 다윗 왕이 명하여 가로되 밧세바를 내 앞으로 부르라 하매 저가 왕의 앞으로
들어와 그 앞에 서는지라
1:28 Then King David in answer said, Send for Bath-sheba to come to me. And she came
in and took her place before the king.
1:28 Then king David answered and said, Call me Bathsheba. And she came into
the king's presence, and stood before the king.
1:29 왕이 가로되 내 생명을 모든 환난에서 구원하신 여호와의 사심을 가리켜
맹세하노라
1:29 And the king took an oath, and said, By the living Lord, who has been my saviour
from all my troubles,
1:29 And the king swore, and said, As the LORD lives, that has redeemed my
soul out of all distress,
1:30 내가 이전에 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 가리켜 네게 맹세하여 이르기를 네
아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되고 나를 대신하여 내 위에 앉으리라 하였으니
내가 오늘날 그대로 행하리라
1:30 As I took an oath to you by the Lord, the God of Israel, saying, Certainly Solomon
your son will become king after me, seated on my seat in my place; so will I do
this day.
1:30 Even as I swore unto you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly
Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my
position; even so will I certainly do this day.
1:31 밧세바가 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하며 내 주 다윗 왕은 만세수를 하옵소서 하니라
1:31 Then Bath-sheba went down on her face on the earth before the king giving him honour,
and said, May my lord King David go on living for ever.
1:31 Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to
the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.
1:32 다윗 왕이 가로되 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야를
내 앞으로 부르라 하니 저희가 왕 앞에 이른지라
1:32 And King David said, Send for Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah,
the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.
1:32 And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet,
and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.
1:33 왕이 저희에게 이르되 너희는 너희 주의 신복들을 데리고 내 아들 솔로몬을
나의 노새에 태우고 기혼으로 인도하여 내려가고
1:33 And the king said to them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and put Solomon
my son on my beast, yes, mine, and take him down to Gihon;
1:33 The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord,
and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:
1:34 거기서 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단은 저에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을
삼고 너희는 양각을 불며 솔로몬 왕 만세를 부르고
1:34 And there let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet put the holy oil on him to
make him king over Israel; and sounding the horn say, Long life to King Solomon!
1:34 And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king
over Israel: and blow all of you with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.
1:35 저를 따라 올라오라 저가 와서 내 위에 앉아 나를 대신하여 왕이 되리라
내가 저를 세워 이스라엘과 유다의 주권자가 되게 하기로 작정하였느니라
1:35 Then come up after him and he will come in and take his place on the seat of my
kingdom; for he is to be king in my place, and I have given orders that he is to
be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
1:35 Then all of you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon
my throne; for he shall be king in my position: and I have appointed him to
be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
1:36 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 왕께 대답하여 가로되 아멘 내 주 왕의 하나님
여호와께서도 이렇게 말씀하시기를 원하오며
1:36 And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, answering the king, said, So be it: and may the
Lord, the God of my lord the king, say so.
1:36 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the
LORD God of my lord the king say so too.
1:37 또 여호와께서 내 주 왕과 함께 계심 같이 솔로몬과 함께 계셔서 그 위를
내 주 다윗 왕의 위보다 더 크게 하시기를 원하나이다 하니라
1:37 As the Lord has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon and make
the seat of his authority greater than that of my lord King David.
1:37 As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon,
and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.
1:38 ○ 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 그렛 사람과
블렛 사람이 내려가서 솔로몬을 다윗 왕의 노새에 태우고 인도하여 기혼으로 가서
1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and
the Cherethites and the Pelethites, went down and put Solomon on King David's beast
and took him to Gihon.
1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of
Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon
to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
1:39 제사장 사독이 성막 가운데서 기름 뿔을 가져다가 솔로몬에게 기름을 부으니
이에 양각을 불고 모든 백성이 솔로몬 왕 만세를 부르니라
1:39 And Zadok the priest took the vessel of oil out of the Tent, and put the holy oil
on Solomon. And when the horn was sounded, all the people said, Long life to King
Solomon!
1:39 And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and
anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save
king Solomon.
1:40 모든 백성이 왕을 따라 올라와서 피리를 불며 크게 즐거워하므로 땅이 저희
소리로 인하여 갈라질 듯하니
1:40 And all the people came up after him, piping with pipes, and they were glad with
great joy, so that the earth was shaking with the sound.
1:40 And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes,
and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.
1:41 아도니야와 저와 함께 한 손들이 먹기를 마칠 때에 다 들은지라 요압이 양각
소리를 듣고 가로되 성 중에서 소리가 어찌하여 요란하뇨
1:41 And it came to the ears of Adonijah and all the guests who were with him, when their
meal was ended. And Joab, hearing the sound of the horn, said, What is the reason
of this noise as if the town was worked up?
1:41 And Adonijah and all the guest that were with him heard it as they had
made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said,
Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?
1:42 말할 때에 제사장 아비아달의 아들 요나단이 오는지라 아도니야가 가로되
들어오라 너는 용사라 아름다운 소식을 가져오는도다
1:42 And while the words were on his lips, Jonathan, the son of Abiathar the priest,
came; and Adonijah said, Come in; for you are a man of good faith and the news which
you have for us will be good.
1:42 And while he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest
came; and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for you are a valiant man, and bring
good tidings.
1:43 요나단이 아도니야에게 대답하여 가로되 과연 우리 주 다윗 왕이 솔로몬으로
왕을 삼으셨나이다
1:43 And Jonathan, answering, said to Adonijah, Not so, but our lord King David has made
Solomon king:
1:43 And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David
has made Solomon king.
1:44 왕께서 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 그렛 사람과
블렛 사람을 솔로몬과 함께 보내셨는데 저희 무리가 왕의 노새에 솔로몬을 태워다가
1:44 And he sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, the
son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and they put him on the
king's beast:
1:44 And the king has sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet,
and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and
they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule:
1:45 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단이 기혼에서 기름을 부어 왕을 삼고 무리가 그
곳에서
올라오며 즐거워하므로 성중이 진동하였나니 당신들에게 들린 소리가 이것이라
1:45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet put the holy oil on him and made him
king in Gihon; and they came back from there with joy, and the town was all worked
up. This is the noise which has come to your ears.
1:45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in
Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again.
This is the noise that all of you have heard.
1:46 솔로몬이 나라 위에 앉았고
1:46 And now Solomon is seated on the seat of the kingdom.
1:46 And also Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.
1:47 또 왕의 신복들이 와서 우리 주 다윗 왕에게 축복하여 이르기를 왕의 하나님이
솔로몬의 이름을 왕의 이름보다 아름답게 하시고 그 위를 왕의 위보다 크게 하시기를
원하나이다 하매 왕이 침상에서 몸을 굽히고
1:47 And the king's servants came to our lord King David, blessing him and saying, May
God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and the seat of his authority
greater than your seat; and the king was bent low in worship on his bed.
1:47 And moreover the king's servants came to bless our lord king David,
saying, God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne
greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.
1:48 이르시기를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬송하리로다 여호와께서 오늘날
내 위에 앉을 자를 주사 나로 목도하게 하셨도다 하셨나이다 하니
1:48 Then the king said, May the God of Israel be praised, who has given one of my seed
to be king in my place this day and has let my eyes see it.
1:48 And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which
has given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.
1:49 아도니야와 함께 한 손들이 다 놀라 일어나 각기 갈 길로 간지라
1:49 And all the guests of Adonijah got up in fear and went away, every man to his place.
1:49 And all the guest that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up,
and went every man his way.
1:50 아도니야도 솔로몬을 두려워하여 일어나 가서 제단 뿔을 잡으니
1:50 And Adonijah himself was full of fear because of Solomon; and he got up and went
to the altar, and put his hands on its horns.
1:50 And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught
hold on the horns of the altar.
1:51 혹이 솔로몬에게 고하여 가로되 아도니야가 솔로몬 왕을 두려워하여 지금
제단 뿔을 잡고 말하기를 솔로몬 왕이 오늘날 칼로 자기 종을 죽이지 않겠다고 내게
맹세하기를 원한다 하나이다
1:51 And they gave Solomon word of it, saying, See, Adonijah goes in such fear of King
Solomon, that he has put his hands on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon
first give me his oath that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.
1:51 And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon:
for, lo, he has caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon
swear unto me today that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
1:52 솔로몬이 가로되 저가 만일 선한 사람이 될진대 그 머리카락 하나라도 땅에
떨어지지 아니하려니와 저의 가운데 악한 것이 보이면 죽으리라 하고
1:52 And Solomon said, If he is seen to be a man of good faith, not a hair of him will
be touched; but if any wrongdoing is seen in him, he is to be put to death.
1:52 And Solomon said, If he will show himself a worthy man, there shall
not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him,
he shall die.
1:53 사람을 보내어 저를 제단에서 이끌어 내리니 저가 와서 솔로몬 왕께 절하매
솔로몬이 이르기를 네 집으로 가라 하였더라
1:53 So King Solomon sent, and they took him down from the altar. And he came and gave
honour to King Solomon; and Solomon said to him, Go to your house.
1:53 So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And
he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to
yours house.
2:1 다윗이 죽을 날이 임박하매 그 아들 솔로몬에게 명하여 가로되
2:1 Now the time of David's death came near; and he gave orders to Solomon his son,
saying,
2:1 Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon
his son, saying,
2:2 내가 이제 세상 모든 사람의 가는 길로 가게 되었노니 너는 힘써 대장부가
되고
2:2 I am going the way of all the earth: so be strong and be a man;
2:2 I go the way of all the earth: be you strong therefore, and show yourself
a man;
2:3 네 하나님 여호와의 명을 지켜 그 길로 행하여 그 법률과 계명과 율례와 증거를
모세의 율법에 기록된 대로 지키라 그리하면 네가 무릇 무엇을 하든지 어디로 가든지
형통할지라
2:3 And keep the orders of the Lord your God, walking in his ways, keeping his laws
and his orders and his rules and his words, as they are recorded in the law of Moses;
so that you may do well in all you do and wherever you go,
2:3 And keep the charge of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to keep
his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies,
as it is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do,
and anywhere you turn yourself:
2:4 여호와께서 내 일에 대하여 말씀하시기를 만일 네 자손이 그 길을 삼가 마음을
다하고 성품을 다하여 진실히 내 앞에서 행하면 이스라엘 왕위에 오를 사람이 네게서
끊어지지 아니하리라 하신 말씀을 확실히 이루게 하시리라
2:4 So that the Lord may give effect to what he said of me, If your children give attention
to their ways, living uprightly before me with all their heart and their soul, you
will never be without a man to be king in Israel.
2:4 That the LORD may continue his word which he spoke concerning me, saying,
If your children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all
their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you (said he) a man
on the throne of Israel.
2:5 스루야의 아들 요압이 내게 행한 일 곧 이스라엘 군대의 두 장관 넬의 아들
아브넬과 예델의 아들 아마사에게 행한 일을 네가 알거니와 저가 저희를 죽여 태평
시대에
전쟁의 피를 흘리고 전쟁의 피로 자기의 허리에 띤 띠와 발에 신은 신에 묻혔으니
2:5 Now you have knowledge of what Joab, the son of Zeruiah, did to me, and to the two
captains of the army of Israel, Abner, the son of Ner, and Amasa, the son of Jether,
whom he put to death, taking payment for the blood of war in time of peace, and
making the band of my clothing and the shoes on my feet red with the blood of one
put to death without cause.
2:5 Moreover you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what
he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner,
and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in
peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins, and
in his shoes that were on his feet.
2:6 네 지혜대로 행하여 그 백발로 평안히 음부에 내려가지 못하게 하라
2:6 So be guided by your wisdom, and let not his white head go down to the underworld
in peace.
2:6 Do therefore according to your wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down
to the grave in peace.
2:7 마땅히 길르앗 바실래의 아들들에게 은총을 베풀어 저희로 네 상에서 먹는
자 중에 참예하게 하라 내가 네 형 압살롬의 낯을 피하여 도망할 때에 저희가 내게
나아왔었느니라
2:7 But be good to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be guests at your
table; for so they came to me when I went in flight from Absalom your brother.
2:7 But show kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them
be of those that eat at your table: for so they came to me when I fled because
of Absalom your brother.
2:8 바후림 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 너와 함께 있나니 저는 내가 마하나임으로
갈 때에 독한 말로 나를 저주하였느니라 그러나 저가 요단에 내려와서 나를 영접하기로
내가 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르기를 내가 칼로 너를 죽이지 아니하리라 하였노라
2:8 Now you have with you Shimei, the son of Gera the Benjamite of Bahurim, who put
a bitter curse on me on the day when I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to see
me at Jordan, and I gave him my oath by the Lord, saying, I will not put you to
death by the sword.
2:8 And, behold, you have with you Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of
Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim:
but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I swore to him by the LORD, saying,
I will not put you to death with the sword.
2:9 그러나 저를 무죄한 자로 여기지 말지어다 너는 지혜 있는 사람인즉 저에게
행할 일을 알지니 그 백발의 피를 흘려 저로 음부에 내려가게 하라
2:9 But do not let him be free from punishment, for you are a wise man; and it will
be clear to you what you have to do with him; see that his white head goes down
to the underworld in blood.
2:9 Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for you are a wise man, and know
what you ought to do unto him; but his hoar head bring you down to the grave
with blood.
2:10 ○ 다윗이 그 열조와 함께 누워 자서 다윗 성에 장사되니
2:10 Then David went to rest with his fathers, and his body was put into the earth in
the town of David.
2:10 So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
2:11 다윗이 이스라엘 왕이 된 지 사십 년이라 헤브론에서 칠 년을 치리하였고 예루살렘에서
삼십 삼 년을 치리하였더라
2:11 David was king over Israel for forty years: for seven years he was king in Hebron
and for thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
2:11 And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven
years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
2:12 솔로몬이 그 아비 다윗의 위에 앉으니 그 나라가 심히 견고하니라
2:12 And Solomon took his place on the seat of David his father, and his kingdom was
made safe and strong.
2:12 Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father; and his kingdom
was established greatly.
2:13 ○ 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 솔로몬의 모친 밧세바에게 나아온지라 밧세바가
이르되 네가 화평한 목적으로 왔느뇨 대답하되 화평한 목적이니이다
2:13 Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, came to Bath-sheba, the mother of Solomon. And
she said, Come you in peace? And he said, Yes, in peace.
2:13 And Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon.
And she said, Come you peaceably? And he said, Peaceably.
2:14 또 가로되 내가 말씀할 일이 있나이다 밧세바가 가로되 말하라
2:14 Then he said, I have something to say to you. And she said, Say on.
2:14 He said moreover, I have somewhat to say unto you. And she said, Say
on.
2:15 저가 가로되 당신도 아시는 바여니와 이 왕위는 내 것이었고 온 이스라엘은
다 얼굴을 내게로 향하여 왕을 삼으려 하였는데 그 왕위가 돌이켜 내 아우의 것이
되었음은 여호와께로 말미암음이니이다
2:15 And he said, You saw how the kingdom was mine, and all Israel had the idea that
I would be their king; but now the kingdom is turned about, and has become my brother's,
for it was given to him by the Lord.
2:15 And he said, You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel
set their faces on me, that I should reign: nevertheless the kingdom is turned
about, and is become my brother's: for it was his from the LORD.
2:16 이제 내가 한 가지 소원을 당신에게 구하오니 내 얼굴을 괄시하지 마옵소서
밧세바가 가로되 말하라
2:16 Now I have one request to make to you, and do not say, No, to me. And she said to
him, Say on.
2:16 And now I ask one petition of you, deny me not. And she said unto him,
Say on.
2:17 가로되 청컨대 솔로몬 왕에게 말씀하여 저로 수넴 여자 아비삭을 내게 주어
아내를 삼게 하소서 왕이 당신의 얼굴을 괄시치 아니하리이다
2:17 Then he said, Will you go to Solomon the king (for he will not say, No, to you)
and put before him my request that he will give me Abishag the Shunammite for a
wife?
2:17 And he said, Speak, I pray you, unto Solomon the king, (for he will
not say you nay,) that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.
2:18 밧세바가 가로되 좋다 내가 너를 위하여 왕께 말하리라
2:18 And Bath-sheba said, Good! I will make your request to the king.
2:18 And Bathsheba said, Well; I will speak for you unto the king.
2:19 ○ 밧세바가 이에 아도니야를 위하여 말하려고 솔로몬 왕에게 이르니 왕이
일어나 영접하여 절한 후에 다시 위에 앉고 그 모친을 위하여 자리를 베풀게 하고
그 우편에 앉게 하는지라
2:19 So Bath-sheba went to King Solomon to have talk with him on Adonijah's account.
And the king got up to come to her, and went down low to the earth before her; then
he took his place on the king's seat and had a seat made ready for the king's mother
and she took her place at his right hand.
2:19 Bathsheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for Adonijah.
And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her, and sat down on
his throne, and caused a seat to be set for the king's mother; and she sat on
his right hand.
2:20 밧세바가 이르되 내가 한 가지 작은 일로 왕께 구하오니 내 얼굴을 괄시하지
마소서 왕이 대답하되 내 어머니여 구하시옵소서 내가 어머니의 얼굴을 괄시하지
아니하리이다
2:20 Then she said, I have one small request to make to you; do not say, No, to me. And
the king said, Say on, my mother, for I will not say, No, to you.
2:20 Then she said, I desire one small petition of you; I pray you, say me
not nay. And the king said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will not say you
nay.
2:21 가로되 청컨대 수넴 여자 아비삭을 아도니야에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하소서
2:21 And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother for a
wife.
2:21 And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother
to wife.
2:22 솔로몬 왕이 그 모친에게 대답하여 가로되 어찌하여 아도니야를 위하여 수넴
여자 아비삭을 구하시나이까 저는 나의 형이오니 저를 위하여 왕위도 구하옵소서
저뿐 아니라 제사장 아비아달과 스루야의 아들 요압도 위하여 구하옵소서 하고
2:22 Then King Solomon made answer and said to his mother, Why are you requesting me
to give Abishag the Shunammite to Adonijah? Take the kingdom for him in addition,
for he is my older brother, and Abiathar the priest and Joab, the son of Zeruiah,
are on his side.
2:22 And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why do you ask
Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is
mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab
the son of Zeruiah.
2:23 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하여 가로되 아도니야가 이런 말을 하였은즉 그 생명을
잃지 아니하면 하나님은 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리심이 마땅하니이다
2:23 Then King Solomon took an oath by the Lord, saying, May God's punishment be on me
if Adonijah does not give payment for these words with his life.
2:23 Then king Solomon swore by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more
also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against his own life.
2:24 나를 세워 내 부친 다윗의 위에 오르게 하시고 허락하신 말씀대로 나를 위하여
집을 세우신 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 아도니야는 오늘날 죽임을 당하리라
하고
2:24 Now by the living Lord, who has given me my place on the seat of David my father,
and made me one of a line of kings, as he gave me his word, truly Adonijah will
be put to death this day.
2:24 Now therefore, as the LORD lives, which has established me, and set
me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me an house, as he promised,
Adonijah shall be put to death this day.
2:25 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 보내매 저가 아도니야를 쳐서 죽였더라
2:25 And King Solomon sent Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and he made an attack on him
and put him to death.
2:25 And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and
he fell upon him that he died.
2:26 ○ 왕이 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 네 고향 아나돗으로 가라 너는 마땅히
죽을 자로되 네가 내 부친 다윗 앞에서 주 여호와의 궤를 메었고 또 내 부친이 모든
환난을 받을 때에 너도 환난을 받았은즉 내가 오늘날 너를 죽이지 아니하노라 하고
2:26 And to Abiathar the priest the king said, Go to Anathoth, to your fields; for death
would be your right reward; but I will not put you to death now, because you took
up the ark of the Lord God before David my father, and you were with him in all
his troubles.
2:26 And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get you to Anathoth, unto
yours own fields; for you are worthy of death: but I will not at this time put
you to death, because you bare the ark of the LORD God before David my father,
and because you have been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
2:27 아비아달을 쫓아내어 여호와의 제사장 직분을 파면하니 여호와께서 실로에서
엘리의 집에 대하여 하신 말씀을 응하게 함이더라
2:27 So Solomon let Abiathar be priest no longer, so that he might make the word of the
Lord come true which he said about the sons of Eli in Shiloh.
2:27 So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that
he might fulfill the word of the LORD, which he spoke concerning the house of
Eli in Shiloh.
2:28 ○ 그 소문이 요압에게 들리매 저가 여호와의 장막으로 도망하여 단 뿔을
잡으니 이는 저가 다윗을 떠나 압살롬을 좇지 아니하였으나 아도니야를 좇았음이더라
2:28 And news of this came to Joab; for Joab had been one of Adonijah's supporters, though
he had not been on Absalom's side. Then Joab went in flight to the Tent of the Lord,
and put his hands on the horns of the altar.
2:28 Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though
he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD,
and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
2:29 혹이 솔로몬 왕에게 고하되 요압이 여호와의 장막으로 도망하여 단 곁에 있나이다
솔로몬이 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 보내며 가로되 너는 가서 저를 치라
2:29 And they said to King Solomon, Joab has gone in flight to the Tent of the Lord and
is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, make
an attack on him.
2:29 And it was told king Solomon that Joab was fled unto the tabernacle
of the LORD; and, behold, he is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah the
son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, fall upon him.
2:30 브나야가 여호와의 장막에 이르러 저에게 이르되 왕께서 나오라 하시느니라
저가 대답하되 아니라 내가 여기서 죽겠노라 브나야가 돌아가서 왕께 고하여 가로되
요압이 이리이리 내게 대답하더이다
2:30 And Benaiah came to the Tent of the Lord and said to him, The king says, Come out.
And he said, No; but let death come to me here. And Benaiah went back to the king
and gave him word of the answer which Joab had given.
2:30 And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the LORD, and said unto him, Thus
says the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah
brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.
2:31 왕이 이르되 저의 말과 같이 하여 저를 죽여 묻으라 요압이 까닭 없이 흘린
피를 나와 내 부친의 집에서 네가 제하리라
2:31 And the king said, Do as he has said and make an attack on him there, and put his
body into the earth; so that you may take away from me and from my family the blood
of one put to death by Joab without cause.
2:31 And the king said unto him, Do as he has said, and fall upon him, and
bury him; that you may take away the innocent blood, which Joab shed, from me,
and from the house of my father.
2:32 여호와께서 요압의 피를 그 머리로 돌려보내실 것은 저가 자기보다 의롭고
선한 두 사람을 쳤음이니 곧 이스라엘 군대 장관 넬의 아들 아브넬과 유다 군대 장관
예델의 아들 아마사를 칼로 죽였음이라 이 일을 내 부친 다윗은 알지 못하셨나니
2:32 And the Lord will send back his blood on his head, because of the attack he made
on two men more upright and better than himself, putting them to the sword without
my father's knowledge; even Abner, the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel,
and Amasa, the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.
2:32 And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon
two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my
father David not knowing thereof, to know, Abner the son of Ner, captain of
the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
2:33 저희의 피는 영영히 요압의 머리와 그 자손의 머리로 돌아갈지라도 다윗과
그 자손과 그 집과 그 위에는 여호와께로 말미암은 평강이 영원히 있으리라
2:33 So their blood will be on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed for ever;
but for David and his seed and his family and the seat of his kingdom, there will
be peace for ever from the Lord.
2:33 Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab, and upon the
head of his seed for ever: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house,
and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD.
2:34 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 곧 올라가서 저를 쳐죽이매 저가 거친 땅에 있는
자기의 집에 매장되니라
2:34 So Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, went up, and falling on him, put him to death;
and his body was put to rest in his house in the waste land.
2:34 So Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up, and fell upon him, and slew
him: and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.
2:35 왕이 이에 여호야다의 아들 브나야로 요압을 대신하여 군대 장관을 삼고
또 제사장 사독으로 아비아달을 대신하게 하니라
2:35 And the king put Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, in his place over the army; and Zadok
the priest he put in the place of Abiathar.
2:35 And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the host:
and Zadok the priest did the king put in the room of Abiathar.
2:36 ○ 왕이 보내어 시므이를 불러서 이르되 너는 예루살렘에서 너를 위하여
집을 짓고 거기서 살고 어디든지 나가지 말라
2:36 Then the king sent for Shimei, and said to him, Make a house for yourself in Jerusalem
and keep there and go to no other place.
2:36 And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Build you
an house in Jerusalem, and dwell there, and go not forth thence any where.
2:37 너는 분명히 알라 네가 나가서 기드론 시내를 건너는 날에는 정녕 죽임을
당하리니 네 피가 네 머리로 돌아가리라
2:37 For be certain that on the day when you go out and go over the stream Kidron, death
will overtake you: and your blood will be on your head.
2:37 For it shall be, that on the day you go out, and pass over the brook
Kidron, you shall know for certain that you shall surely die: your blood shall
be upon yours own head.
2:38 시므이가 왕께 대답하되 이 말씀이 좋사오니 내 주 왕의 말씀대로 종이 그리하겠나이다
하고 이에 날이 오래도록 예루살렘에 머무니라
2:38 And Shimei said to the king, Very well! as my lord the king has said, so will your
servant do. And for a long time Shimei went on living in Jerusalem.
2:38 And Shimei said unto the king, The saying is good: as my lord the king
has said, so will your servant do. And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days.
2:39 ○ 삼 년 후에 시므이의 두 종이 가드 왕 마아가의 아들 아기스에게로 도망하여
간지라 혹이 시므이에게 고하여 가로되 당신의 종이 가드에 있나이다
2:39 But after three years, two of the servants of Shimei went in flight to Achish, son
of Maacah, king of Gath. And word was given to Shimei that his servants had gone
to Gath.
2:39 And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants
of Shimei ran away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei,
saying, Behold, your servants be in Gath.
2:40 시므이가 그 종을 찾으려고 일어나 그 나귀에 안장을 지우고 가드로 가서
아기스에게 나아가 그 종을 가드에서 데려왔더니
2:40 Then Shimei got up, and making ready his ass, he went to Gath, to Achish, in search
of his servants; and he sent and got them from Gath.
2:40 And Shimei arose, and saddled his ass, and went to Gath to Achish to
seek his servants: and Shimei went, and brought his servants from Gath.
2:41 시므이가 예루살렘에서부터 가드에 갔다가 돌아온 일을 혹이 솔로몬에게
고한지라
2:41 And news was given to Solomon that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had
come back again.
2:41 And it was told Solomon that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath,
and was come again.
2:42 왕이 사람을 보내어 시므이를 불러서 이르되 내가 너로 여호와를 가리켜
맹세하게 하고 경계하여 이르기를 너는 분명히 알라 네가 밖으로 나가서 어디든지
가는 날에는 죽임을 당하리라 하지 아니하였느냐 너도 내게 말하기를 내가 들은 말씀이
좋으니이다 하였거늘
2:42 Then the king sent for Shimei, and said to him, Did I not make you take an oath
by the Lord, protesting to you and saying, Be certain that on the day when you go
out from here, wherever you go, death will overtake you? and you said to me, Very
well!
2:42 And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not
make you to swear by the LORD, and protested unto you, saying, Know for a certain,
on the day you go out, and walk abroad any where, that you shall surely die?
and you said unto me, The word that I have heard is good.
2:43 네가 어찌하여 여호와를 가리켜 한 맹세와 내가 네게 이른 명령을 지키지
아니하였느냐
2:43 Why then have you not kept the oath of the Lord and the order which I gave you?
2:43 Why then have you not kept the oath of the LORD, and the commandment
that I have charged you with?
2:44 왕이 또 시므이에게 이르되 네가 무릇 네 마음의 아는 모든 악 곧 내 부친에게
행한 바를 네가 스스로 아나니 여호와께서 네 악을 네 머리로 돌려보내시리라
2:44 And the king said to Shimei, You have knowledge of all the evil which you did to
David my father; and now the Lord has sent back your evil on yourself.
2:44 The king said moreover to Shimei, You know all the wickedness which
yours heart is privy to, that you did to David my father: therefore the LORD
shall return your wickedness upon yours own head;
2:45 그러나 솔로몬 왕은 복을 받고 다윗의 위는 영원히 여호와 앞에서 견고히
서리라 하고
2:45 But a blessing will be on King Solomon, and the kingdom of David will keep its place
before the Lord for ever.
2:45 And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be
established before the LORD for ever.
2:46 여호야다의 아들 브나야에게 명하매 저가 나가서 시므이를 쳐서 죽게 한지라
이에 나라가 솔로몬의 손에 견고하여지니라
2:46 So the king gave orders to Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada; and he went out and, falling
on him, put him to death. And Solomon's authority over the kingdom was complete.
2:46 So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; which went out, and
fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of
Solomon.
3:1 솔로몬이 애굽 왕 바로로 더불어 인연을 맺어 그 딸을 취하고 데려다가 다윗
성에 두고 자기의 궁과 여호와의 전과 예루살렘 주위의 성이 필역되기를 기다리니라
3:1 Solomon became the son-in-law of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter
as his wife, keeping her in the town of David, till the house he was building for
himself, and the house of the Lord and the wall round Jerusalem, were complete.
3:1 And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's
daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of
building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem
round about.
3:2 그 때까지 여호와의 이름을 위하여 전을 아직 건축하지 아니하였으므로 백성들이
산당에서 제사하며
3:2 But all this time the people were making their offerings in the high places, because
no house had been put up to the name of the Lord till those days.
3:2 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house
built unto the name of the LORD, until those days.
3:3 솔로몬이 여호와를 사랑하고 그 부친 다윗의 법도를 행하되 오히려 산당에서
제사하며 분향하더라
3:3 And Solomon, in his love for the Lord, kept the laws of David his father; but he
made offerings and let them go up in smoke on the high places.
3:3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father:
only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
3:4 ○ 이에 왕이 제사하러 기브온으로 가니 거기는 산당이 큼이라 솔로몬이 그
단에 일천 번제를 드렸더니
3:4 And the king went to Gibeon to make an offering there, because that was the chief
high place: it was Solomon's way to make a thousand burned offerings on that altar.
3:4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great
high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
3:5 기브온에서 밤에 여호와께서 솔로몬의 꿈에 나타나시니라 하나님이 이르시되
내가 네게 무엇을 줄꼬 너는 구하라
3:5 In Gibeon, Solomon had a vision of the Lord in a dream by night; and God said to
him, Say what I am to give you.
3:5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said,
Ask what I shall give you.
3:6 솔로몬이 가로되 주의 종 내 아비 다윗이 성실과 공의와 정직한 마음으로
주와 함께 주의 앞에서 행하므로 주께서 저에게 큰 은혜를 베푸셨고 주께서 또 저를
위하여 이 큰 은혜를 예비하시고 오늘날과 같이 저의 위에 앉을 아들을 저에게 주셨나이다
3:6 And Solomon said, Great was your mercy to David my father, as his life before you
was true and upright and his heart was true to you; and you have kept for him this
greatest mercy, a son to take his place this day.
3:6 And Solomon said, You have showed unto your servant David my father great
mercy, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and
in uprightness of heart with you; and you have kept for him this great kindness,
that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
3:7 나의 하나님 여호와여 주께서 종으로 종의 아비 다윗을 대신하여 왕이 되게
하셨사오나 종은 작은 아이라 출입할 줄을 알지 못하고
3:7 And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in the place of David my
father; and I am only a young boy, with no knowledge of how to go out or come in.
3:7 And now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king instead of David
my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
3:8 주의 빼신 백성 가운데 있나이다 저희는 큰 백성이라 수효가 많아서 셀 수도
없고 기록할 수도 없사오니
3:8 And your servant has round him the people of your selection, a people so great that
they may not be numbered, and no account of them may be given.
3:8 And your servant is in the midst of your people which you have chosen,
a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
3:9 누가 주의 이 많은 백성을 재판할 수 있사오리이까 지혜로운 마음을 종에게
주사 주의 백성을 재판하여 선악을 분별하게 하옵소서
3:9 Give your servant, then, a wise heart for judging your people, able to see what
is good and what evil; for who is able to be the judge of this great people?
3:9 Give therefore your servant an understanding heart to judge your people,
that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this your
so great a people?
3:10 솔로몬이 이것을 구하매 그 말씀이 주의 마음에 맞은지라
3:10 Now these words and Solomon's request were pleasing to the Lord.
3:10 And the speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.
3:11 이에 하나님이 저에게 이르시되 네가 이것을 구하도다 자기를 위하여 수도
구하지 아니하며 부도 구하지 아니하며 자기의 원수의 생명 멸하기도 구하지 아니하고
오직 송사를 듣고 분별하는 지혜를 구하였은즉
3:11 And God said to him, Because your request is for this thing, and not for long life
for yourself or for wealth or for the destruction of your haters, but for wisdom
to be a judge of causes;
3:11 And God said unto him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not
asked for yourself long life; neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have
asked the life of yours enemies; but have asked for yourself understanding to
discern judgment;
3:12 내가 네 말대로 하여 네게 지혜롭고 총명한 마음을 주노니 너의 전에도 너와
같은 자가 없었거니와 너의 후에도 너와 같은 자가 일어남이 없으리라
3:12 I have done as you said: I have given you a wise and far-seeing heart, so that there
has never been your equal in the past, and never will there be any like you in the
future.
3:12 Behold, I have done according to your words: lo, I have given you a
wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like you before you,
neither after you shall any arise like unto you.
3:13 내가 또 너의 구하지 아니한 부와 영광도 네게 주노니 네 평생에 열왕 중에
너와 같은 자가 없을 것이라
3:13 And with this I have given you what you made no request for: wealth and honour,
so that no king was ever your equal.
3:13 And I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches,
and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto you all
your days.
3:14 네가 만일 네 아비 다윗의 행함 같이 내 길로 행하며 내 법도와 명령을 지키면
내가 또 네 날을 길게 하리라
3:14 And if you go on in my ways, keeping my laws and my orders as your father David
did, I will give you a long life.
3:14 And if you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments,
as your father David did walk, then I will lengthen your days.
3:15 솔로몬이 깨어보니 꿈이더라 이에 예루살렘에 이르러 여호와의 언약궤 앞에
서서 번제와 수은제를 드리고 모든 신복을 위하여 잔치하였더라
3:15 And Solomon, awakening, saw that it was a dream; then he came to Jerusalem, where
he went before the ark of the agreement of the Lord, offering burned offerings and
peace-offerings; and he made a feast for all his servants.
3:15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem,
and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings,
and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
3:16 ○ 때에 창기 두 계집이 왕에게 와서 그 앞에 서며
3:16 Then two loose women of the town came and took their places before the king;
3:16 Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood
before him.
3:17 한 계집은 말하되 내 주여 나와 이 계집이 한 집에서 사는데 내가 저와 함께
집에 있으며 아이를 낳았더니
3:17 And one of them said, O my lord, I and this woman are living in the same house;
and I gave birth to a child by her side in the house.
3:17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house;
and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.
3:18 나의 해산한 지 삼 일에 이 계집도 해산하고 우리가 함께 있었고 우리 둘 외에는
집에 다른 사람이 없었나이다
3:18 And three days after the birth of my child, this woman had a child: we were together,
no other-person was with us in the house but we two only.
3:18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this
woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us
in the house, save we two in the house.
3:19 그런데 밤에 저 계집이 그 아들 위에 누우므로 그 아들이 죽으니
3:19 In the night, this woman, sleeping on her child, was the cause of its death.
3:19 And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it.
3:20 저가 밤중에 일어나서 계집종 나의 잠든 사이에 내 아들을 내 곁에서 가져다가
자기의 품에 뉘이고 자기의 죽은 아들을 내 품에 뉘었나이다
3:20 And she got up in the middle of the night and took my son from my side while your
servant was sleeping; and she took it in her arms and put her dead child in my arms.
3:20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while yours
handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.
3:21 미명에 내가 내 아들을 젖 먹이려고 일어나 본즉 죽었기로 내가 아침에 자세히
보니 내가 낳은 아들이 아니더이다 하매
3:21 And when I got up to give my child the breast, I saw that it was dead; but in the
morning, looking at it with care, I saw that it was not my son.
3:21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was
dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son,
which I did bear.
3:22 다른 계집은 이르되 아니라 산 것은 내 아들이요 죽은 것은 네 아들이라
하고 이 계집은 이르되 아니라 죽은 것이 네 아들이요 산 것이 내 아들이라 하매
왕 앞에서 그와 같이 쟁론하는지라
3:22 And the other woman said, No; but the living child is my son and the dead one yours.
But the first said, No; the dead child is your son and the living one mine. So they
kept on talking before the king.
3:22 And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead
is your son. And this said, No; but the dead is your son, and the living is
my son. Thus they spoke before the king.
3:23 왕이 가로되 이는 말하기를 산 것은 내 아들이요 죽은 것은 네 아들이라
하고 저는 말하기를 아니라 죽은 것이 네 아들이요 산 것이 내 아들이라 하는도다
하고
3:23 Then the king said, One says, The living child is my son, and yours is the dead:
and the other says, Not so; but your son is the dead one and mine is the living.
3:23 Then said the king, The one says, This is my son that lives, and your
son is the dead: and the other says, Nay; but your son is the dead, and my son
is the living.
3:24 또 가로되 칼을 내게로 가져오라 하니 칼을 왕의 앞으로 가져온지라
3:24 Then he said, Get me a sword. So they went and put a sword before the king.
3:24 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before
the king.
3:25 왕이 이르되 산 아들을 둘에 나눠 반은 이에게 주고 반은 저에게 주라
3:25 And the king said, Let the living child be cut in two and one half given to one
woman and one to the other.
3:25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to
the one, and half to the other.
3:26 그 산 아들의 어미되는 계집이 그 아들을 위하여 마음이 불붙는 것 같아서
왕께 아뢰어 가로되 청컨대 내 주여 산 아들을 저에게 주시고 아무쪼록 죽이지 마옵소서
하되 한 계집은 말하기를 내 것도 되게 말고 네 것도 되게 말고 나누게 하라 하는지라
3:26 Then the mother of the living child came forward, for her heart went out to her
son, and she said, O my lord, give her the child; do not on any account put it to
death. But the other woman said, It will not be mine or yours; let it be cut in
two.
3:26 Then spoke the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her
bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child,
and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor yours,
but divide it.
3:27 왕이 대답하여 가로되 산 아들을 저 계집에게 주고 결코 죽이지 말라 저가
그 어미니라 하매
3:27 Then the king made answer and said, Give her the child, and do not put it to death;
she is the mother of it.
3:27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no
wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.
3:28 온 이스라엘이 왕의 심리하여 판결함을 듣고 왕을 두려워하였으니 이는 하나님의
지혜가 저의 속에 있어 판결함을 봄이더라
3:28 And news of this decision which the king had made went through all Israel; and they
had fear of the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to give decisions.
3:28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and
they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do
judgment.
4:1 솔로몬 왕이 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되었고
4:1 Now Solomon was king over all Israel.
4:1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
4:2 그의 신하들은 이러하니라 사독의 아들 아사리아는 제사장이요
4:2 And these were his chief men: Azariah, the son of Zadok, was the priest;
4:2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the
priest,
4:3 시사의 아들 엘리호렙과 아히야는 서기관이요 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이요
4:3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were scribes; Jehoshaphat, the son of
Ahilud, was the recorder;
4:3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son
of Ahilud, the recorder.
4:4 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 군대 장관이요 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이요
4:4 Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was head of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
4:4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar
were the priests:
4:5 나단의 아들 아사리아는 관리장이요 나단의 아들 사붓은 대신이니 왕의 벗이요
4:5 Azariah, the son of Nathan, was over those in authority in the different divisions
of the country; Zabud, the son of Nathan, was priest and the king's friend;
4:5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son
of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:
4:6 아히살은 궁내 대신이요 압다의 아들 아도니람은 감역관이더라
4:6 Ahishar was controller of the king's house; Adoniram, the son of Abda, was overseer
of the forced work.
4:6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was
over the tribute.
4:7 ○ 솔로몬이 또 온 이스라엘 위에 열 두 관장을 두매 그 사람들이 왕과 왕실을
위하여 식물을 예비하되 각기 일 년에 한 달씩 식물을 예비하였으니
4:7 And Solomon put twelve overseers over all Israel, to be responsible for the stores
needed for the king and those of his house; every man was responsible for one month
in the year.
4:7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals
for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
4:8 그 이름은 이러하니라 에브라임 산지에는 벤훌이요
4:8 And these are their names: ... the son of Hur in the hill country of Ephraim;
4:8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
4:9 마가스와 사알빔과 벧세메스와 엘론벧하난에는 벤데겔이요
4:9 ... the son of Deker in Makaz and Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh and Elonbeth-hanan;
4:9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:
4:10 아룹봇에는 벤헤셋이니 소고와 헤벨 온 땅을 저가 주관하였으며
4:10 ... the son of Hesed in Arubboth; Socoh and all the land of Hepher were under his
control;
4:10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land
of Hepher:
4:11 돌 높은 땅 온 지방에는 벤아비나답이니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 다밧으로 아내를
삼았으며
4:11 ... the son of Abinadab in all Naphath-dor; his wife was Taphath, the daughter of
Solomon.
4:11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the
daughter of Solomon to wife:
4:12 다아낙과 므깃도와 이스르엘 아래 사르단 가에 있는 벧스안 온 땅은 아힐룻의
아들 바아나가 맡았으니 벧소안에서부터 아벨므홀라에 이르고 욕느암 바깥까지 미쳤으며
4:12 Baana, the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is by
the side of Zarethan, under Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, as far as
the far side of Jokmeam;
4:12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all
Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah,
even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
4:13 길르앗 라못에는 벤게벨이니 저는 길르앗에 있는 므낫세의 아들 야일의 모든
촌을 주관하였고 또 바산 아르곱 땅의 성벽과 놋빗장 있는 큰 성읍 육십을 주관하였으며
4:13 ... the son of Geber in Ramoth-gilead; he had the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh,
which are in Gilead, and the country of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great towns
with walls and locks of brass.
4:13 The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair
the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of
Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars:
4:14 마하나임에는 잇도의 아들 아히나답이요
4:14 Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
4:14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
4:15 납달리에는 아히마아스니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 바스맛으로 아내를 삼았으며
4:15 Ahimaaz in Naphtali; he took Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, as his wife;
4:15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon
to wife:
4:16 아셀과 아롯에는 후새의 아들 바아나요
4:16 Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and Aloth;
4:16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
4:17 잇사갈에는 바루아의 아들 여호사밧이요
4:17 Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
4:17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
4:18 베냐민에는 엘라의 아들 시므이요
4:18 Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
4:18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
4:19 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼과 바산 왕 옥의 나라 길르앗 땅에는 우리의 아들
게벨이니 그 땅에서는 저 한 사람만 관장이 되었더라
4:19 Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon, king of the
Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan; and one overseer had authority over all the overseers
who were in the land.
4:19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of
Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer
which was in the land.
4:20 ○ 유다와 이스라엘의 인구가 바닷가의 모래 같이 많게 되매 먹고 마시며
즐거워하였으며
4:20 Judah and Israel were as great in number as the sand by the seaside, and they took
their food and drink with joy in their hearts.
4:20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude,
eating and drinking, and making merry.
4:21 솔로몬이 하수에서부터 블레셋 사람의 땅에 이르기까지와 애굽 지경에 미치기까지의
모든 나라를 다스리므로 그 나라들이 공을 바쳐 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 섬겼더라
4:21 And Solomon was ruler over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines,
and as far as the edge of Egypt; men gave him offerings and were his servants all
the days of his life.
4:21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of
the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served
Solomon all the days of his life.
4:22 솔로몬의 일 일분 식물은 가는 밀가루가 삼십 석이요 굵은 밀가루가 육십
석이요
4:22 And the amount of Solomon's food for one day was thirty measures of crushed grain
and sixty measures of meal;
4:22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour,
and threescore measures of meal,
4:23 살진 소가 열이요 초장의 소가 스물이요 양이 일백이며 그 외에 수사슴과
노루와 암사슴과 살찐 새들이었더라
4:23 Ten fat oxen and twenty oxen from the fields, and a hundred sheep, in addition to
harts and gazelles and roes and fat fowls.
4:23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep,
beside harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
4:24 솔로몬이 하수 이편을 딥사에서부터 가사까지 모두 다스리므로 하수 이편의
모든 왕이 다 관할한 바 되매 저가 사방에 둘린 민족과 평화가 있었으니
4:24 For he had authority over all the country on this side of the River, from Tiphsah
to Gaza, over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace round him
on every side.
4:24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from
Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had
peace on all sides round about him.
4:25 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 유다와 이스라엘이 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지
각기 포도나무 아래와 무화과나무 아래서 안연히 살았더라
4:25 So Judah and Israel were living safely, every man under his vine and his fig-tree,
from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
4:25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under
his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
4:26 솔로몬의 병거의 말의 외양간이 사만이요 마병이 일만 이천이며
4:26 And Solomon had four thousand boxed-off spaces for horses for his carriages, and
twelve thousand horsemen.
4:26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and
twelve thousand horsemen.
4:27 그 관장들은 각각 자기 달에 솔로몬 왕과 왕의 상에 참예하는 모든 자를
위하여 먹을 것을 예비하여 부족함이 없게 하였으며
4:27 And those overseers, every man in his month, saw that food was produced for Solomon
and all his guests, they took care that nothing was overlooked.
4:27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that
came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
4:28 또 저희가 각기 직무를 따라 말과 준마에게 먹일 보리와 꼴을 그 말의 있는
곳으로 가져왔더라
4:28 And they took grain and dry grass for the horses and the carriage-horses, to the
right place, every man as he was ordered.
4:28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto
the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
4:29 ○ 하나님이 솔로몬에게 지혜와 총명을 심히 많이 주시고 또 넓은 마음을
주시되 바닷가의 모래 같이 하시니
4:29 And God gave Solomon a great store of wisdom and good sense, and a mind of wide
range, as wide as the sand by the seaside.
4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness
of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
4:30 솔로몬의 지혜가 동양 모든 사람의 지혜와 애굽의 모든 지혜보다 뛰어난지라
4:30 And Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East and
all the wisdom of Egypt.
4:30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the
east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
4:31 저는 모든 사람보다 지혜로와서 예스라 사람 에단과 마홀의 아들 헤만과
갈골과 다르다보다 나으므로 그 이름이 사방 모든 나라에 들렸더라
4:31 For he was wiser than all men, even than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman and Calcol
and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and he had a great name among all the nations round
about.
4:31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and
Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round
about.
4:32 저가 잠언 삼천을 말하였고 그 노래는 일천 다섯이며
4:32 He was the maker of three thousand wise sayings, and of songs to the number of a
thousand and five.
4:32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand
and five.
4:33 저가 또 초목을 논하되 레바논 백향목으로부터 담에 나는 우슬초까지 하고
저가 또 짐승과 새와 기어 다니는 것과 물고기를 논한지라
4:33 He made sayings about all plants, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop hanging
on the wall; and about all beasts and birds and fishes and the small things of the
earth.
4:33 And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto
the hyssop that springs out of the wall: he spoke also of beasts, and of fowl,
and of creeping things, and of fishes.
4:34 모든 민족 중에서 솔로몬의 지혜의 소문을 들은 천하 모든 왕 중에서 그
지혜를 들으러 왔더라
4:34 People came from every nation to give ear to the wisdom of Solomon, from all the
kings of the earth who had word of his wisdom.
4:34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all
kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
5:1 솔로몬이 기름 부음을 받고 그 부친을 이어 왕이 되었다 함을 두로 왕 히람이
듣고 그 신복을 솔로몬에게 보내었으니 이는 히람이 평일에 다윗을 사랑하였음이라
5:1 Now Hiram, king of Tyre, hearing that Solomon had been made king in place of his
father, sent his servants to him; for Hiram had ever been a friend to David.
5:1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard
that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever
a lover of David.
5:2 이에 솔로몬이 히람에게 기별하여 가로되
5:2 And Solomon sent back word to Hiram, saying,
5:2 And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
5:3 당신도 알거니와 내 부친 다윗이 사방의 전쟁으로 인하여 그 하나님 여호와의
이름을 위하여 전을 건축하지 못하고 여호와께서 그 원수들을 그 발바닥 밑에 두시기를
기다렸나이다
5:3 You have knowledge that David my father was not able to make a house for the name
of the Lord his God, because of the wars which were round him on every side, till
the Lord put all those who were against him under his feet.
5:3 You know how that David my father could not build an house unto the name
of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the
LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
5:4 이제 내 하나님 여호와께서 내게 사방의 태평을 주시매 대적도 없고 재앙도
없도다
5:4 But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; no one is making trouble,
and no evil is taking place.
5:4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, so that there
is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.
5:5 여호와께서 내 부친 다윗에게 하신 말씀에 내가 너를 이어 네 위에 오르게
할 네 아들 그가 내 이름을 위하여 전을 건축하리라 하신 대로 내가 내 하나님 여호와의
이름을 위하여 전을 건축하려 하오니
5:5 And so it is my purpose to make a house for the name of the Lord my God, as he said
to David my father, Your son, whom I will make king in your place, will be the builder
of a house for my name.
5:5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my
God, as the LORD spoke unto David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will set
upon your throne in your room, he shall build an house unto my name.
5:6 당신은 영을 내려 나를 위하여 레바논에서 백향목을 베어내게 하소서 나의
종과 당신의 종이 함께 할 것이요 또 내가 당신의 모든 말씀대로 당신의 종의 삯을
당신에게 붙이리이다 당신도 알거니와 우리 중에는 시돈 사람처럼 벌목을 잘하는
자가 없나이다
5:6 So now, will you have cedar-trees from Lebanon cut down for me, and my servants
will be with your servants; and I will give you payment for your servants at whatever
rate you say; for it is common knowledge that we have no such wood-cutters among
us as the men of Zidon.
5:6 Now therefore command you that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon;
and my servants shall be with your servants: and unto you will I give hire for
your servants according to all that you shall appoint: for you know that there
is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
5:7 ○ 히람이 솔로몬의 말을 듣고 크게 기뻐하여 가로되 오늘날 여호와를 찬양할지로다
저가 다윗에게 지혜로운 아들을 주사 그 많은 백성을 다스리게 하셨도다 하고
5:7 And these words of Solomon made Hiram glad, and he said, Now may the Lord be praised
who has given to David a wise son to be king over this great people.
5:7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced
greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which has given unto David
a wise son over this great people.
5:8 이에 솔로몬에게 기별하여 가로되 당신의 기별하신 말씀을 내가 듣고 내 백향목
재목과 잣나무 재목에 대하여는 당신의 바라시는 대로 할지라
5:8 Then Hiram sent to Solomon, saying; The words you sent have been given to me: I
will do all your desire in the question of cedar-wood and cypress-wood.
5:8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which
you sent to me for: and I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar,
and concerning timber of fir.
5:9 내 종이 레바논에서 바다로 수운하겠고 내가 그것을 바다에서 떼로 엮어 당신이
지정하는 곳으로 보내고 거기서 그것을 풀리니 당신은 받으시고 나의 원을 이루어서
나의 궁정을 위하여 식물을 주소서 하고
5:9 My men will take them down from Lebanon to the sea, where I will have them corded
together to go by sea to whatever place you say, and I will have them cut up there
so that you may take them away; as for payment, it will be enough if you give me
food for my people.
5:9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will
convey them by sea in rafts unto the place that you shall appoint me, and will
cause them to be discharged there, and you shall receive them: and you shall
accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.
5:10 솔로몬의 모든 원대로 백향목 재목과 잣나무 재목을 주매
5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon all the cedar-wood and cypress-wood he had need of;
5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his
desire.
5:11 솔로몬이 히람에게 그 궁정의 식물로 밀 이만 석과 맑은 기름 이십 석을
주고 해마다 그와 같이 주었더라
5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of grain, as food for his people,
and twenty measures of clear oil; this he did every year.
5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to
his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year
by year.
5:12 여호와께서 그 말씀대로 솔로몬에게 지혜를 주신 고로 히람과 솔로몬이 친목하여
두 사람이 함께 약조를 맺었더라
5:12 Now the Lord had given Solomon wisdom, as he had said to him; and there was peace
between Hiram and Solomon, and they made an agreement together.
5:12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was
peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
5:13 ○ 이에 솔로몬 왕이 온 이스라엘에서 역군을 불러 일으키니 그 역군의 수가
삼만이라
5:13 Then King Solomon got together men for the forced work through all Israel, thirty
thousand men in number;
5:13 And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty
thousand men.
5:14 솔로몬이 저희들을 한 달에 일만 인씩 번갈아 레바논으로 보내매 저희들이
한 달은 레바논에 있고 두 달은 집에 있으며 아도니람은 감독이 되었고
5:14 And sent them to Lebanon in bands of ten thousand every month: for a month they
were working in Lebanon and for two months in their country, and Adoniram was in
control of them.
5:14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month
they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.
5:15 솔로몬에게 또 담군이 칠만 인이요 산에서 돌을 뜨는 자가 팔만 인이며
5:15 Then he had seventy thousand for the work of transport, and eighty thousand stone-cutters
in the mountains;
5:15 And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore
thousand hewers in the mountains;
5:16 이 외에 그 역사를 동독하는 관리가 삼천 삼백 인이라 저희가 일하는 백성을
거느렸더라
5:16 In addition to the chiefs of the responsible men put by Solomon to oversee the work,
three thousand and three hundred in authority over the workmen.
5:16 Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three
thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the
work.
5:17 이에 왕이 영을 내려 크고 귀한 돌을 떠다가 다듬어서 전의 기초석으로 놓게
하매
5:17 By the king's orders great stones, stones of high price, were cut out, so that the
base of the house might be made of squared stone.
5:17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones,
and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
5:18 솔로몬의 건축자와 히람의 건축자와 그발 사람이 그 돌을 다듬고 전을 건축하기
위하여 재목과 돌들을 갖추니라
5:18 Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did the work of cutting them, and put edges
on them, and got the wood and the stone ready for the building of the house.
5:18 And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew them, and the Gibalites
also: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
6:1 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 지 사백 팔십 년이요 솔로몬이 이스라엘
왕이 된 지 사 년 시브월 곧 이 월에 솔로몬이 여호와를 위하여 전 건축하기를 시작하였더라
6:1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel came out of
the land of Egypt, in the fourth year that Solomon was king of Israel, in the month
Ziv, which is the second month, the building of the Lord's house was started.
6:1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the
children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of
Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that
he began to build the house of the LORD.
6:2 솔로몬 왕이 여호와를 위하여 건축한 전은 장이 육십 규빗이요 광이 이십 규빗이요
고가 삼십 규빗이며
6:2 The house which Solomon made for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide
and thirty cubits high.
6:2 And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof
was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height
thereof thirty cubits.
6:3 전의 성소 앞 낭실의 장은 전의 광과 같이 이십 규빗이요 그 광은 전 앞에서부터
십 규빗이며
6:3 The covered way before the Temple of the house was twenty cubits long, as wide as
the house, and ten cubits wide in front of the house.
6:3 And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length
thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth
thereof before the house.
6:4 전을 위하여 붙박이 교창을 내고
6:4 And for the house he made windows, with network across.
6:4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.
6:5 또 전의 벽 곧 성소와 지성소의 벽에 연접하여 돌아가며 다락들을 건축하되
다락마다 돌아가며 골방들을 만들었으니
6:5 And against the walls all round, and against the walls of the Temple and of the
inmost room, he put up wings, with side rooms all round:
6:5 And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against
the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and
he made chambers round about:
6:6 하층 다락의 광은 다섯 규빗이요 중층 다락의 광은 여섯 규빗이요 제 삼층
다락의 광은 일곱 규빗이라 전의 벽 바깥으로 돌아가며 턱을 내어 골방 들보들로
전의 벽에 박히지 않게 하였으며
6:6 The lowest line of them being five cubits wide, the middle six cubits wide and the
third seven cubits; for there was a space all round the outside walls of the house
so that the boards supporting the rooms did not have to be fixed in the walls of
the house.
6:6 The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six
cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall
of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be
fastened in the walls of the house.
6:7 이 전은 건축할 때에 돌을 뜨는 곳에서 치석하고 가져다가 건축하였으므로
건축하는 동안에 전 속에서는 방망이나 도끼나 모든 철 연장 소리가 들리지 아니하였으며
6:7 (And the stones used in the building of the house were squared at the place where
they were cut out; there was no sound of hammer or axe or any iron instrument while
they were building the house.)
6:7 And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready
before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor
any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
6:8 중층 골방의 문은 전 오른편에 있는데 나사 모양 사닥다리로 말미암아 하층에서
중층에 오르고 중층에서 제 삼 층에 오르게 하였더라
6:8 The door to the lowest side rooms was in the right side of the house; and they went
up by twisting steps into the middle rooms, and from the middle into the third.
6:8 The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and
they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle
into the third.
6:9 전의 건축이 마치니라 그 전은 백향목 서까래와 널판으로 덮었고
6:9 So he put up the house and made it complete, roofing it with boards of cedar-wood.
6:9 So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams
and boards of cedar.
6:10 또 온 전으로 돌아가며 고가 다섯 규빗 되는 다락방을 건축하되 백향목 들보로
전에 연접하게 하였더라
6:10 And he put up the line of side rooms against the walls of the house, fifteen cubits
high, resting against the house on boards of cedar-wood.
6:10 And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high:
and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
6:11 ○ 여호와의 말씀이 솔로몬에게 임하여 가라사대
6:11 (And the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying,
6:11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,
6:12 네가 이제 이 전을 건축하니 네가 만일 내 법도를 따르며 내 율례를 행하며
나의 모든 계명을 지켜 그대로 행하면 내가 네 아비 다윗에게 한 말을 네게 확실히
이룰 것이요
6:12 About this house which you are building: if you will keep my laws and give effect
to my decisions and be guided by my rules, I will give effect to my word which I
gave to David your father.
6:12 Concerning this house which you are in building, if you will walk in
my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk
in them; then will I perform my word with you, which I spoke unto David your
father:
6:13 내가 또한 이스라엘 자손 가운데 거하며 내 백성 이스라엘을 버리지 아니하리라
하셨더라
6:13 And I will be ever among the children of Israel, and will not go away from my people.
6:13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake
my people Israel.
6:14 ○ 솔로몬이 전 건축하기를 마치고
6:14 So Solomon made the building of the house complete.)
6:14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
6:15 백향목 널판으로 전의 안 벽 곧 전 마루에서 천장까지의 벽에 입히고 또
잣나무 널판으로 전 마루를 놓고
6:15 The walls of the house were covered inside with cedar-wood boards; from the floor
to the roof of the house they were covered inside with wood; and the floor was covered
with boards of cypress-wood.
6:15 And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both
the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: and he covered them on
the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.
6:16 또 전 뒤편에서부터 이십 규빗 되는 곳에 마루에서 천장까지 백향목 널판으로
가로막아 전의 내소 곧 지성소를 만들었으며
6:16 And at the back of the house a further space of twenty cubits was shut in with boards
of cedar-wood, for the inmost room.
6:16 And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor
and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for
the oracle, even for the most holy place.
6:17 내소 앞에 있는 외소 곧 성소의 장이 사십 규빗이며
6:17 And the house, that is, the Temple, in front of the holy place was forty cubits
long.
6:17 And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.
6:18 전 안에 입힌 백향목에는 박과 핀 꽃을 아로새겼고 모두 백향목이라 돌이
보이지 아니하며
6:18 (All the inside of the house was cedar-wood, ornamented with designs of buds and
flowers; no stonework was to be seen inside.)
6:18 And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers:
all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
6:19 여호와의 언약궤를 두기 위하여 전 안에 내소를 예비하였는데
6:19 And he made ready an inmost room in the middle of the house, in which to put the
ark of the agreement of the Lord.
6:19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark
of the covenant of the LORD.
6:20 그 내소의 속이 장이 이십 규빗이요 광이 이십 규빗이요 고가 이십 규빗이라
정금으로 입혔고 백향목 단에도 입혔더라
6:20 And the inmost room was twenty cubits square and twenty cubits high, plated over
with clear gold, and he made an altar of cedar-wood, plating it with gold.
6:20 And the oracle in the front part was twenty cubits in length, and twenty
cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid
it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.
6:21 솔로몬이 정금으로 외소 안에 입히고 내소 앞에 금사슬로 건너지르고 내소를
금으로 입히고
6:21 Solomon had all the inside of the house covered with gold, and he put chains of
gold across in front of the inmost room, which itself was covered with gold.
6:21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition
by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
6:22 온 전을 금으로 입히기를 마치고 내소에 속한 단의 전부를 금으로 입혔더라
6:22 Plates of gold were put all through the house till it was covered completely (and
the altar in the inmost room was all covered with gold).
6:22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all
the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
6:23 ○ 내소 안에 감람목으로 두 그룹을 만들었는데 그 고가 각각 십 규빗이라
6:23 In the inmost room he made two winged beings of olive-wood, ten cubits high;
6:23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten
cubits high.
6:24 한 그룹의 이 날개는 다섯 규빗이요 저 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 이 날개 끝으로부터
저 날개 끝까지 십 규빗이며
6:24 With outstretched wings five cubits wide; the distance from the edge of one wing
to the edge of the other was ten cubits.
6:24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the
other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost
part of the other were ten cubits.
6:25 다른 그룹도 십 규빗이니 그 두 그룹은 한 척수, 한 모양이요
6:25 The two winged ones were ten cubits high, of the same size and form.
6:25 And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one
measure and one size.
6:26 이 그룹의 고가 십 규빗이요 저 그룹도 일반이라
6:26 The two of them were ten cubits high.
6:26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other
cherub.
6:27 솔로몬이 내소 가운데 그룹을 두었으니 그룹들의 날개가 폐었는데 이 그룹의
날개는 이 벽에 닿았고 저 그룹의 날개는 저 벽에 닿았으며 두 날개는 전의 중앙에서
서로 닿았더라
6:27 These were placed inside the inner house, their outstretched wings touching the
walls of the house, one touching one wall and one the other, while their other wings
were touching in the middle.
6:27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched
forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one
wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings
touched one another in the midst of the house.
6:28 저가 금으로 그룹에 입혔더라
6:28 These winged ones were plated over with gold.
6:28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.
6:29 ○ 내외소 사면 벽에는 모두 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃 형상을 아로새겼고
6:29 And all the walls of the house inside and out were ornamented with forms of winged
ones and palm-trees and open flowers.
6:29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures
of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.
6:30 내외 전 마루에는 금으로 입혔으며
6:30 And the floor of the house was covered with gold, inside and out.
6:30 And the floors of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.
6:31 내소에 들어가는 곳에는 감람목으로 문을 만들었는데 그 문 인방과 문설주는
벽의 오분지 일이요
6:31 For the way into the inmost room he made doors of olive-wood, the arch and the door
supports forming a five-sided opening.
6:31 And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the
lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.
6:32 감람목으로 만든 그 두 문짝에 그룹과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로
입히되 곧 그룹들과 종려에 금으로 입혔더라
6:32 On the olive-wood doors were cut designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open
flowers, all of them, with the doors, plated with gold.
6:32 The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings
of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and
spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.
6:33 또 외소의 문을 위하여 감람목으로 문설주를 만들었으니 곧 벽의 사분지
일이며
6:33 Then he made pillars of olive-wood for the way into the Temple; the pillars were
square:
6:33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth
part of the wall.
6:34 그 두 문짝은 잣나무라 이 문짝도 두 짝으로 접게 되었고 저 문짝도 두 짝으로
접게 되었으며
6:34 And two folding doors of cypress-wood, with two leaves.
6:34 And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were
folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
6:35 그 문짝에 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로 입히되 그 새긴 데
맞게 하였고
6:35 These were ornamented with designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers,
plated over with gold.
6:35 And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and
covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.
6:36 또 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 두꺼운 판자 한 켜로 둘러 안뜰을 만들었더라
6:36 And the inner space was walled with three lines of squared stones and a line of
cedar-wood boards.
6:36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row
of cedar beams.
6:37 ○ 제 사 년 시브월에 여호와의 전 기초를 쌓았고
6:37 In the fourth year the base of the house was put in its place, in the month Ziv.
6:37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid,
in the month Zif:
6:38 제 십 일 년 불월 곧 팔 월에 그 설계와 식양대로 전이 다 필역되었으니 솔로몬이
전을 건축한 동안이 칠 년이었더라
6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the building
of the house was complete in every detail, as it had been designed. So he was seven
years building it.
6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month,
was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all
the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
7:1 솔로몬이 자기의 궁을 십 삼 년 동안 건축하여 그 전부를 준공하니라
7:1 Solomon was thirteen years building a house for himself till it was complete.
7:1 But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished
all his house.
7:2 저가 레바논 나무로 궁을 지었으니 장이 일백 규빗이요 광이 오십 규빗이요
고가 삼십 규빗이라 백향목 기둥이 네 줄이요 기둥 위에 백향목 들보가 있으며
7:2 And he made the house of the Woods of Lebanon, which was a hundred cubits long and
fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high, resting on four lines of cedar-wood pillars
with cedar-wood supports on the pillars.
7:2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof
was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height
thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon
the pillars.
7:3 기둥 위에 있는 사십 오 개 들보를 백향목으로 덮었는데 들보는 한 줄에 열
다섯이요
7:3 And it was covered with cedar over the forty-five supports which were on the pillars,
fifteen in a line.
7:3 And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty
five pillars, fifteen in a row.
7:4 또 창틀이 세 줄로 있는데 창과 창이 세 층으로 서로 대하였고
7:4 There were three lines of window-frames, window facing window in every line.
7:4 And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in
three ranks.
7:5 모든 문과 문설주를 다 큰 나무로 네모지게 만들었는데 창과 창이 세 층으로
서로 대하였으며
7:5 And all the doors and windows had square frames, with the windows facing one another
in three lines.
7:5 And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light
was against light in three ranks.
7:6 또 기둥을 세워 낭실을 지었으니 장이 오십 규빗이요 광이 삼십 규빗이며
또 기둥 앞에 한 낭실이 있고 또 그 앞에 기둥과 섬돌이 있으며
7:6 And he made a covered room of pillars, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits wide,
and ... with steps before it.
7:6 And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits,
and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the
other pillars and the thick beam were before them.
7:7 또 심판하기 위하여 보좌의 낭실 곧 재판하는 낭실을 짓고 온 마루를 백향목으로
덮었고
7:7 Then he made a covered room for his high seat when he gave decisions; this was the
covered room of judging; it was covered with cedar-wood from floor to roof.
7:7 Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch
of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the
other.
7:8 솔로몬의 거처할 궁은 그 낭실 뒤 다른 뜰에 있으니 그 공작이 일반이며 솔로몬이
또 그 장가 든 바로의 딸을 위하여 집을 지었는데 이 낭실과 같더라
7:8 And the house for his living-place, the other open square in the covered room, was
made in the same way. And then he made a house like it for Pharaoh's daughter, whom
Solomon had taken as his wife.
7:8 And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which
was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom
he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.
7:9 ○ 이 집들은 안팎을 모두 귀하고 다듬은 돌로 지었으니 척수대로 톱으로
켠 것이라 그 기초석에서 처마까지와 외면에서 큰 뜰에 이르기까지 다 그러하니
7:9 All these buildings were made, inside and out, from base to crowning stone, and
outside to the great walled square, of highly priced stone, cut to different sizes
with cutting-instruments.
7:9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones,
sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping,
and so on the outside toward the great court.
7:10 그 기초석은 귀하고 큰 돌 곧 십 규빗 되는 돌과 여덟 규빗 되는 돌이라
7:10 And the base was of great masses of highly priced stone, some ten cubits and some
eight cubits square.
7:10 And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of
ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
7:11 그 위에는 척수대로 다듬은 귀한 돌도 있고 백향목도 있으며
7:11 Overhead were highly priced stones cut to measure, and cedar-wood.
7:11 And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and
cedars.
7:12 또 큰 뜰 주위에는 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 두꺼운 판자 한 켜를 놓았으니
마치 여호와의 전 안뜰과 낭실에 놓은 것 같더라
7:12 The great outer square all round was walled with three lines of squared stones and
a line of cedar-wood boards, round about the open square inside the house of the
Lord and the covered room of the king's house.
7:12 And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones,
and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD,
and for the porch of the house.
7:13 ○ 솔로몬 왕이 보내어 히람을 두로에서 데려오니
7:13 Then King Solomon sent and got Hiram from Tyre.
7:13 And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.
7:14 저는 납달리 지파 과부의 아들이요 그 아비는 두로 사람이니 놋점장이라
이 히람은 모든 놋 일에 지혜와 총명과 재능이 구비한 자더니 솔로몬 왕에게 와서
그 모든 공작을 하니라
7:14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of
Tyre, a worker in brass; he was full of wisdom and knowledge and an expert worker
in brass. He came to King Solomon and did all his work for him.
7:14 He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a
man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding,
and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought
all his work.
7:15 저가 놋기둥 둘을 만들었으니 그 고는 각각 십 팔 규빗이라 각각 십 이 규빗되는
줄을 두를 만하며
7:15 He it was who made the two brass pillars; the first pillar was eighteen cubits high,
and a line of twelve cubits went round it; and the second was the same.
7:15 For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and
a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.
7:16 또 놋을 녹여 부어서 기둥 머리를 만들어 기둥 꼭대기에 두었으니 이 머리의
고도 다섯 규빗이요 저 머리의 고도 다섯 규빗이며
7:16 And he made the two crowns to be put on the tops of the pillars, of brass made soft
in the fire; the crowns were five cubits high.
7:16 And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the
pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the
other capital was five cubits:
7:17 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 머리를 위하여 바둑판 모양으로 얽은 그물과 사슬 모양의
땋은 것을 만들었으니 이 머리에 일곱이요 저 머리에 일곱이라
7:17 There were nets of open-work for the crowns on the tops of the pillars, a net of
open-work for one and a net of open-work for the other.
7:17 And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the capitals
which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven
for the other capital.
7:18 기둥을 이렇게 만들었고 또 두 줄 석류를 한 그물 위에 둘러 만들어서 기둥
꼭대기에 있는 머리에 두르게 하였고 다른 기둥 머리에도 그렇게 하였으며
7:18 And he made ornaments of apples; and two lines of apples all round over the network,
covering the crowns of the pillars, the two crowns in the same way.
7:18 And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network,
to cover the capitals that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did
he for the other capital.
7:19 낭실 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 머리의 네 규빗은 백합화 모양으로 만들었으며
7:19 The crowns on the tops of the pillars were ornamented with a design of flowers,
and were four cubits across.
7:19 And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily
work in the porch, four cubits.
7:20 이 두 기둥 머리에 있는 그물 곁 곧 그 머리의 공 같이 둥근 곳으로 돌아가며
각기 석류 이백이 줄을 지었더라
7:20 And there were crowns on the two pillars near the round part by the network, and
there were two hundred apples in lines round every crown.
7:20 And the capitals upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, opposite
to the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred
in rows round about upon the other capital.
7:21 이 두 기둥을 전의 낭실 앞에 세우되 우편의 기둥을 세우고 그 이름을 야긴이라
하고 좌편의 기둥을 세우고 그 이름을 보아스라 하였으며
7:21 He put up the pillars at the doorway of the Temple, naming the one on the right
Jachin, and that on the left Boaz.
7:21 And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up
the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left
pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.
7:22 그 두 기둥 꼭대기에 백합화 형상이 있더라 두 기둥의 공역이 마치니라
7:22 The tops of the pillars had a design of flowers; and the work of making the pillars
was complete.
7:22 And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the
pillars finished.
7:23 ○ 또 바다를 부어 만들었으니 그 직경이 십 규빗이요 그 모양이 둥글며
그 고는 다섯 규빗이요 주위는 삼십 규빗 줄을 두를 만하며
7:23 And he made a great metal water-vessel ten cubits across from edge to edge, five
cubits high and thirty cubits round.
7:23 And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other:
it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty
cubits did compass it round about.
7:24 그 가장자리 아래에는 돌아가며 박이 있는데 매 규빗에 열 개씩 있어서 바다
주위에 둘렸으니 그 박은 바다를 부어 만들 때에 두 줄로 부어 만들었으며
7:24 And under the edge of it, circling it all round for ten cubits, were two lines of
flower buds, made together with it from liquid metal.
7:24 And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it,
ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows,
when it was cast.
7:25 그 바다를 열 두 소가 받쳤으니 셋은 북을 향하였고 셋은 서를 향하였고
셋은 남을 향하였고 셋은 동을 향하였으며 바다를 그 위에 놓았고 소의 뒤는 다 안으로
두었으며
7:25 It was supported on twelve oxen, with their back parts turned to the middle of it,
three of them facing to the north, three to the west, three to the south, and three
to the east; the vessel was resting on top of them.
7:25 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three
looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking
toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts
were inward.
7:26 바다의 두께는 한 손 넓이 만하고 그 가는 백합화의 식양으로 잔 가와 같이
만들었으니 그 바다에는 이천 밧을 담겠더라
7:26 It was as thick as a man's open hand, and was curved like the edge of a cup, like
the flower of a lily: it would take two thousand baths.
7:26 And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like
the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
7:27 ○ 또 놋으로 받침 열을 만들었으니 매 받침의 장이 네 규빗이요 광이 네
규빗이요 고가 세 규빗이라
7:27 And he made ten wheeled bases of brass; every one four cubits long, four cubits
wide, and three cubits high.
7:27 And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base,
and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.
7:28 그 받침의 제도는 이러하니 사면 옆 변죽 가운데 판이 있고
7:28 And the bases were made in this way; their sides were square, fixed in a framework;
7:28 And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and
the borders were between the ledges:
7:29 변죽 가운데 판에는 사자와 소와 그룹들이 있고 또 변죽 위에는 놓는 자리가
있고 사자와 소 아래에는 화환 모양이 있으며
7:29 And on the square sides between the frames were lions, oxen, and winged ones; and
the same on the frame; and over and under the lions and the oxen and the winged
ones were steps.
7:29 And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and
cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions
and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.
7:30 그 받침에 각각 네 놋바퀴와 놋축이 있고 받침 네 발 밑에는 어깨 같은 것이
있으며 그 어깨 같은 것은 물두멍 밑편에 부어 만들었고 화환은 각각 그 옆에 있으며
7:30 Every base had four wheels of brass, turning on brass rods, and their four angles
had angle-plates under them; the angle-plates under the base were of metal, and
there were ornaments at the side of every one.
7:30 And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the
four corners thereof had supporters: under the vessel that holds water were
supporters molten, at the side of every addition.
7:31 그 받침 위로 들이켜 고가 한 규빗 되게 내민 것이 있고 그 면은 직경 한
규빗 반 되게 반원형으로 우묵하며 그 나머지 면에는 아로새긴 것이 있으며 그 내민
판들은 네모지고 둥글지 아니하며
7:31 The mouth of it inside the angle-plate was one cubit across; it was round like a
pillar, a cubit and a half across; it had designs cut on it; the sides were square,
not round.
7:31 And the mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: but the
mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and
also upon the mouth of it were engravings with their borders, foursquare, not
round.
7:32 네 바퀴는 옆판 밑에 있고 바퀴 축은 받침에 연하였는데 바퀴의 고는 각각
한 규빗 반이며
7:32 The four wheels were under the frames, and the rods on which the wheels were fixed
were in the base; the wheels were a cubit and a half high.
7:32 And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels
were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
7:33 그 바퀴의 제도는 병거 바퀴의 제도 같은데 그 축과 테와 살과 통이 다 부어
만든 것이며
7:33 The wheels were made like carriage-wheels, the rods on which they were fixed, the
parts forming their edges, their rods and the middle points of them, were all formed
out of liquid metal.
7:33 And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their
axletrees, and their naves, and their rims, and their spokes, were all molten.
7:34 받침 네 모퉁이에 어깨 같은 것 넷이 있는데 그 어깨는 받침과 연하였고
7:34 And there were four angle-plates at the four angles of every base, forming part
of the structure of the base.
7:34 And there were four supporters to the four corners of one base: and
the supporters were of the very base itself.
7:35 받침 위에 둥근 테두리가 있는데 고가 반 규빗이요 또 받침 위의 버팀대와
옆판들이 받침과 연하였고
7:35 And at the top of the base there was a round vessel, half a cubit high;
7:35 And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit
high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof
were of the same.
7:36 버팀대 판과 옆판에는 각각 빈 곳을 따라 그룹들과 사자와 종려나무를 아로새겼고
또 그 사면으로 화환 모양이 있더라
7:36 In the spaces of the flat sides and on the frames of them, he made designs of winged
ones, lions, and palm-trees, with ornamented edges all round.
7:36 For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof,
he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every
one, and additions round about.
7:37 이와 같이 받침 열을 만들었는데 그 부어 만든 법과 척수와 식양을 다 동일하게
하였더라
7:37 All the ten bases were made in this way, after the same design, of the same size
and form.
7:37 After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting,
one measure, and one size.
7:38 또 물두멍 열을 놋으로 만들었는데 물두멍마다 각각 사십 밧을 담게 하였으며
매 물두멍의 직경이 네 규빗이라 열 받침 위에 각각 물두멍이 하나씩이더라
7:38 And he made ten brass washing-vessels, everyone taking forty baths, and measuring
four cubits; one vessel was placed on every one of the ten bases.
7:38 Then made he ten lavers of brass: one vessel that holds water contained
forty baths: and every vessel that holds water was four cubits: and upon every
one of the ten bases one vessel that holds water.
7:39 그 받침 다섯은 전 우편에 두었고 다섯은 전 좌편에 두었고 전 우편 동남에는
그 바다를 두었더라
7:39 And he put the bases by the house, five on the right side and five on the left;
and he put the great water-vessel on the right side of the house, to the east, facing
south.
7:39 And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the
left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward
opposite to the south.
7:40 ○ 히람이 또 물두멍과 부삽과 대접들을 만들었더라 이와 같이 히람이 솔로몬
왕을 위하여 여호와의 전의 모든 일을 마쳤으니
7:40 And Hiram made the pots and spades and the basins. So Hiram came to the end of all
the work he did for King Solomon in the house of the Lord:
7:40 And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram
made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of
the LORD:
7:41 곧 기둥 둘과 그 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은 머리 둘과 또 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은
머리를 가리우는 그물 둘과
7:41 The two pillars and the two cups of the crowns which were on the tops of the two
pillars; and the network covering the two cups of the crowns on the tops of the
pillars,
7:41 The two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the
top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the
capitals which were upon the top of the pillars;
7:42 또 그 그물들을 위하여 만든 바 매 그물에 두 줄씩으로 기둥 위의 공 같은
두 머리를 가리우게 한 사백 석류와
7:42 And the four hundred apples for the network, two lines of apples for every network,
covering the two cups of the crowns on the pillars;
7:42 And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of
pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were
upon the pillars;
7:43 또 열 받침과 받침 위의 열 물두멍과
7:43 And the ten bases, with the ten washing-vessels on them;
7:43 And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;
7:44 한 바다와 그 바다 아래 열 두 소와
7:44 And the great water-vessel, with the twelve oxen under it;
7:44 And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;
7:45 솥과 부삽과 대접들이라 히람이 솔로몬 왕을 위하여 여호와의 전에 이 모든
그릇을 빛난 놋으로 만드니라
7:45 And the pots and the spades and the basins; all the vessels which Hiram made for
King Solomon, for the house of the Lord, were of polished brass.
7:45 And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels,
which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.
7:46 왕이 요단 평지에서 숙곳과 사르단 사이의 차진 흙에 그것들을 부어 내었더라
7:46 He made them of liquid metal in the lowland of Jordan, at the way across the river,
at Adama, between Succoth and Zarethan.
7:46 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between
Succoth and Zarthan.
7:47 기구가 심히 많으므로 솔로몬이 다 달지 아니하고 두었으니 그 놋 중수를
능히 측량할 수 없었더라
7:47 The weight of all these vessels was not measured, because there was such a number
of them; it was not possible to get the weight of the brass.
7:47 And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding
many: neither was the weight of the brass found out.
7:48 ○ 솔로몬이 또 여호와의 전의 모든 기구를 만들었으니 곧 금단과 진설병의
금상과
7:48 And Solomon had all the vessels made for use in the house of the Lord: the altar
of gold and the gold table on which the holy bread was placed;
7:48 And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the
LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the showbread was,
7:49 내소 앞에 좌우로 다섯씩 둘 정금 등대며 또 금꽃과 등잔과 불집게며
7:49 And the supports for the lights, five on the right side and five on the left before
the inmost room, of clear gold; and the flowers and the lights and all the instruments
of gold;
7:49 And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five
on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs
of gold,
7:50 또 정금 대접과 불집게와 주발과 숟가락과 불을 옮기는 그릇이며 또 내소
곧 지성소 문의 금 돌쩌귀와 전 곧 외소 문의 금 돌쩌귀더라
7:50 And the cups and the scissors and the basins and the spoons and the fire-trays,
all of gold; and the pins on which the doors were turned, the doors of the inner
house, the most holy place, and the doors of the Temple, all of gold.
7:50 And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and
the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the
inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to know, of
the temple.
7:51 ○ 솔로몬 왕이 여호와의 전을 위하여 만드는 모든 것을 마친지라 이에 솔로몬이
그 부친 다윗의 드린 물건 곧 은과 금과 기구들을 가져다가 여호와의 전 곳간에 두었더라
7:51 So all the work King Solomon had done in the house of the Lord was complete. Then
Solomon took the holy things which David his father had given, the silver and the
gold and all the vessels, and put them in the store-houses of the house of the Lord.
7:51 So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the
LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated;
even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures
of the house of the LORD.
