8:1 이에 솔로몬이 여호와의 언약궤를 다윗 성 곧 시온에서 메어 올리고자 하여
이스라엘 장로와 모든 지파의 두목 곧 이스라엘 자손의 족장들을 예루살렘 자기에게로
소집하니
8:1 Then Solomon sent for all the responsible men of Israel, and all the chiefs of the
tribes, and the heads of families of the children of Israel, to come to him in Jerusalem
to take the ark of the Lord's agreement up out of the town of David, which is Zion.
8:1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the
tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon
in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out
of the city of David, which is Zion.
8:2 이스라엘 모든 사람이 다 에다님월 곧 칠 월 절기에 솔로몬 왕에게 모이고
8:2 And all the men of Israel came together to King Solomon at the feast, in the month
Ethanim, the seventh month.
8:2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the
feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
8:3 이스라엘 장로들이 다 이르매 제사장들이 궤를 메니라
8:3 And all the responsible men of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
8:3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
8:4 여호와의 궤와 회막과 성막 안의 모든 거룩한 기구들을 메고 올라가되 제사장과
레위 사람이 그것들을 메고 올라가매
8:4 They took up the ark of the Lord, and the Tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels
which were in the Tent; all these the priests and the Levites took up.
8:4 And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation,
and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests
and the Levites bring up.
8:5 솔로몬 왕과 그 앞에 모인 이스라엘 회중이 저와 함께 궤 앞에 있어 양과
소로 제사를 드렸으니 그 수가 많아 기록할 수도 없고 셀 수도 없었더라
8:5 And King Solomon and all the men of Israel who had come together there, were with
him before the ark, making offerings of sheep and oxen more than might be numbered.
8:5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled
unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could
not be told nor numbered for multitude.
8:6 제사장들이 여호와의 언약궤를 그 처소로 메어 들였으니 곧 내전 지성소 그룹들의
날개 아래라
8:6 And the priests took the ark of the agreement of the Lord and put it in its place
in the inner room of the house, in the most holy place, under the wings of the winged
ones.
8:6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his
place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the
wings of the cherubims.
8:7 그룹들이 궤 처소 위에서 날개를 펴서 궤와 그 채를 덮었는데
8:7 For their wings were outstretched over the place where the ark was, covering the
ark and its rods.
8:7 For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the
ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
8:8 채가 긴 고로 채 끝이 내전 앞 성소에서 보이나 밖에서는 보이지 아니하며
그 채는 오늘까지 그 곳에 있으며
8:8 The rods were so long that their ends were seen from the holy place, in front of
the inmost room; but they were not seen from outside: and there they are to this
day.
8:8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out
in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there
they are unto this day.
8:9 궤 안에는 두 돌판 외에 아무 것도 없으니 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서
나온 후 여호와께서 저희와 언약을 세우실 때에 모세가 호렙에서 그 안에 넣은 것이더라
8:9 There was nothing in the ark but the two flat stones which Moses put there at Horeb,
where the Lord made an agreement with the children of Israel when they came out
of the land of Egypt.
8:9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses
put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel,
when they came out of the land of Egypt.
8:10 제사장이 성소에서 나올 때에 구름이 여호와의 전에 가득하매
8:10 Now when the priests had come out of the holy place, the house of the Lord was full
of the cloud,
8:10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place,
that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
8:11 제사장이 그 구름으로 인하여 능히 서서 섬기지 못하였으니 이는 여호와의
영광이 여호와의 전에 가득함이었더라
8:11 So that the priests were not able to keep their places to do their work because
of the cloud, for the house of the Lord was full of the glory of the Lord.
8:11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud:
for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
8:12 ○ 그 때에 솔로몬이 가로되 여호와께서 캄캄한 데 계시겠다 말씀하셨사오나
8:12 Then Solomon said, O Lord, to the sun you have given the heaven for a living-place,
but your living-place was not seen by men;
8:12 Then spoke Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
8:13 내가 참으로 주를 위하여 계실 전을 건축하였사오니 주께서 영원히 거하실
처소로소이다 하고
8:13 So I have made for you a living-place, a house in which you may be for ever present.
8:13 I have surely built you an house to dwell in, a settled place for you
to abide in for ever.
8:14 얼굴을 돌이켜 이스라엘의 온 회중을 위하여 축복하니 때에 이스라엘의 온
회중이 섰더라
8:14 Then, turning his face about, the king gave a blessing to all the men of Israel;
and they were all on their feet together.
8:14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation
of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
8:15 왕이 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 송축할지로다 여호와께서 그 입으로
나의 부친 다윗에게 말씀하신 것을 이제 그 손으로 이루셨도다 이르시기를
8:15 And he said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who himself gave his word
to David my father, and with his strong hand has made his word come true, saying,
8:15 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spoke with his
mouth unto David my father, and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
8:16 내가 내 백성 이스라엘을 애굽에서 인도하여 낸 날부터 내 이름을 둘 만한
집을 건축하기 위하여 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데서 아무 성읍도 택하지 아니하고
다만 다윗을 택하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리게 하였노라 하신지라
8:16 From the day when I took my people Israel out of Egypt, no town in all the tribes
of Israel has been marked out by me for the building of a house for the resting-place
of my name; but I made selection of David to be king over my people Israel.
8:16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I
chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name
might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
8:17 내 부친 다윗이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 이름을 위하여 전을 건축할 마음이
있었더니
8:17 Now it was in the heart of David my father to put up a house for the name of the
Lord, the God of Israel.
8:17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the
name of the LORD God of Israel.
8:18 여호와께서 내 부친 다윗에게 이르시되 네가 내 이름을 위하여 전을 건축할
마음이 있으니 이 마음이 네게 있는 것이 좋도다
8:18 But the Lord said to David my father, You did well to have in your heart the desire
to make a house for my name;
8:18 And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in yours heart
to build an house unto my name, you did well that it was in yours heart.
8:19 그러나 너는 그 전을 건축하지 못할 것이요 네 몸에서 낳을 네 아들 그가
내 이름을 위하여 전을 건축하리라 하시더니
8:19 But you yourself will not be the builder of my house; but your son, the offspring
of your body, he it is who will put up a house for my name.
8:19 Nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son that shall
come forth out of your loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
8:20 이제 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 이루시도다 내가 여호와의 허하신 대로 내
부친 다윗을 대신하여 일어나서 이스라엘 위에 앉고 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 이름을
위하여 전을 건축하고
8:20 And the Lord has made his word come true; for I have taken my father David's place
on the seat of the kingdom of Israel, as the Lord gave his word; and I have made
a house for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.
8:20 And the LORD has performed his word that he spoke, and I am risen up
in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD
promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
8:21 내가 또 그 곳에 우리 열조를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내실 때에 저희와 세우신
바
여호와의 언약 넣은 궤를 위하여 한 처소를 설치하였노라
8:21 In it I have made a place for the ark, in which is the agreement which the Lord
made with our fathers, when he took them out of the land of Egypt.
8:21 And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of
the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land
of Egypt.
8:22 ○ 솔로몬이 여호와의 단 앞에서 이스라엘의 온 회중을 마주서서 하늘을
향하여 손을 펴고
8:22 Then Solomon took his place before the altar of the Lord, all the men of Israel
being present, and stretching out his hands to heaven,
8:22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all
the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
8:23 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 상천하지에 주와 같은 신이 없나이다 주께서는
온 마음으로 주의 앞에서 행하는 종들에게 언약을 지키시고 은혜를 베푸시나이다
8:23 Said, O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on the earth;
keeping faith and mercy unchanging for your servants, while they go in your ways
with all their hearts.
8:23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven
above, or on earth beneath, who keep covenant and mercy with your servants that
walk before you with all their heart:
8:24 주께서 주의 종 내 아비 다윗에게 허하신 말씀을 지키사 주의 입으로 말씀하신
것을 손으로 이루심이 오늘날과 같으니이다
8:24 And you have kept the word which you gave to your servant David, my father; with
your mouth you said it and with your hand you have made it come true this day.
8:24 Who have kept with your servant David my father that you promised him:
you spoke also with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with yours hand, as it
is this day.
8:25 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 주께서 주의 종 내 아비 다윗에게 말씀하시기를
네 자손이 자기 길을 삼가서 네가 내 앞에서 행한 것 같이 내 앞에서 행하기만 하면
네게로 좇아나서 이스라엘 위에 앉을 사람이 내 앞에서 끊어지지 아니하리라 하셨사오니
이제 다윗을 위하여 그 허하신 말씀을 지키시옵소서
8:25 So now, O Lord, the God of Israel, let your word to your servant David, my father,
come true, when you said, You will never be without a man to take his place on the
seat of the kingdom of Israel before me, if only your children give attention to
their ways, walking before me as you have done.
8:25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father
that you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to
sit on the throne of Israel; so that your children take heed to their way, that
they walk before me as you have walked before me.
8:26 그런즉 이스라엘 하나님이여 원컨대 주는 주의 종 내 아비 다윗에게 하신
말씀이 확실하게 하옵소서
8:26 So now, O God of Israel, it is my prayer that you will make your word come true
which you said to your servant David, my father.
8:26 And now, O God of Israel, let your word, I pray you, be verified, which
you spoke unto your servant David my father.
8:27 ○ 하나님이 참으로 땅에 거하시리이까 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이라도 주를
용납지 못하겠거든 하물며 내가 건축한 이 전이오리이까
8:27 But is it truly possible that God may be housed on earth? see, heaven and the heaven
of heavens are not wide enough to be your resting-place; how much less this house
which I have made!
8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven
of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built?
8:28 그러나 나의 하나님 여호와여 종의 기도와 간구를 돌아보시며 종이 오늘날
주의 앞에서 부르짖음과 비는 기도를 들으시옵소서
8:28 Still, let your heart be turned to the prayer of your servant, O Lord God, and to
his prayer for grace; give ear to the cry and the prayer which your servant sends
up to you this day;
8:28 Yet have you respect unto the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication,
O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which your servant
prays before you to day:
8:29 주께서 전에 말씀하시기를 내 이름이 거기 있으리라 하신 곳 이 전을 향하여
주의 눈이 주야로 보옵시며 종이 이곳을 향하여 비는 기도를 들으시옵소서
8:29 That your eyes may be open to this house night and day, to this place of which you
have said, My name will be there; hearing the prayer which your servant may make,
turning to this place.
8:29 That yours eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward
the place of which you have said, My name shall be there: that you may hearken
unto the prayer which your servant shall make toward this place.
8:30 종과 주의 백성 이스라엘이 이곳을 향하여 기도할 때에 주는 그 간구함을
들으시되 주의 계신 곳 하늘에서 들으시고 들으시사 사하여 주옵소서
8:30 Give ear to the prayers of your servant, and the prayers of your people Israel,
when they make their prayers, turning to this place; give ear in heaven your living-place,
and hearing, have mercy.
8:30 And hearken you to the supplication of your servant, and of your people
Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear you in heaven your
dwelling place: and when you hear, forgive.
8:31 ○ 만일 어떤 사람이 그 이웃에게 범죄함으로 맹세시킴을 받고 저가 와서
이 전에 있는 주의 단 앞에서 맹세하거든
8:31 If a man does wrong to his neighbour, and has to take an oath, and comes before
your altar to take his oath in this house:
8:31 If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon
him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before yours altar in this house:
8:32 주는 하늘에서 들으시고 행하시되 주의 종들을 국문하사 악한 자의 죄를
정하여 그 행위대로 그 머리에 돌리시고 의로운 자를 의롭다 하사 그 의로운 대로
갚으시옵소서
8:32 Then let your ear be open in heaven, and be the judge of your servants, giving your
decision against the wrongdoer, so that punishment for his sins may come on his
head; and, by your decision, keeping from evil him who has done no wrong.
8:32 Then hear you in heaven, and do, and judge your servants, condemning
the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to
give him according to his righteousness.
8:33 ○ 만일 주의 백성 이스라엘이 주께 범죄하여 적국 앞에 패하게 되므로 주께로
돌아와서 주의 이름을 인정하고 이 전에서 주께 빌며 간구하거든
8:33 When your people Israel are overcome in war, because of their sin against you; if
they are turned to you again, honouring your name, making prayers to you and requesting
your grace in this house:
8:33 When your people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they
have sinned against you, and shall return to you, and confess your name, and
pray, and make supplication unto you in this house:
8:34 주는 하늘에서 들으시고 주의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 사하시고 그 열조에게
주신 땅으로 돌아오게 하옵소서
8:34 Then give ear in heaven, and let the sin of your people Israel have forgiveness,
and take them back again into the land which you gave to their fathers.
8:34 Then hear you in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel,
and bring them again unto the land which you gave unto their fathers.
8:35 ○ 만일 저희가 주께 범죄함을 인하여 하늘이 닫히고 비가 없어서 주의 벌을
받을 때에 이곳을 향하여 빌며 주의 이름을 인정하고 그 죄에서 떠나거든
8:35 When heaven is shut up and there is no rain, because of their sin against you; if
they make prayers with their faces turned to this place, honouring your name and
turning away from their sin when you send trouble on them:
8:35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned
against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn
from their sin, when you afflict them:
8:36 주는 하늘에서 들으사 주의 종들과 주의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 사하시고
그 마땅히 행할 선한 길을 가르쳐 주옵시며 주의 백성에게 기업으로 주신 주의 땅에
비를 내리시옵소서
8:36 Then give ear in heaven, so that the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel,
may have forgiveness, when you make clear to them the good way in which they are
to go; and send rain on your land which you have given to your people for their
heritage.
8:36 Then hear you in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of
your people Israel, that you teach them the good way wherein they should walk,
and give rain upon your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance.
8:37 ○ 만일 이 땅에 기근이나 온역이 있거나 곡식이 시들거나 깜부기가 나거나
메뚜기나 황충이 나거나 적국이 와서 성읍을 에워싸거나 무슨 재앙이나 무슨 질병이
있든지 무론하고
8:37 If there is no food in the land, or if there is disease, or if the fruits of the
earth are damaged through heat or water, locust or worm; if their towns are shut
in by their attackers; whatever trouble, whatever disease there may be:
8:37 If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew,
locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land
of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
8:38 한 사람이나 혹 주의 온 백성 이스라엘이 다 각각 자기의 마음에 재앙을
깨닫고 이 전을 향하여 손을 펴고 무슨 기도나 무슨 간구를 하거든
8:38 Whatever prayer or request for your grace is made by any man, or by all your people
Israel, whatever his trouble may be, whose hands are stretched out to this house:
8:38 What prayer and supplication whatsoever be made by any man, or by all
your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart,
and spread forth his hands toward this house:
8:39 주는 계신 곳 하늘에서 들으시고 사유하시며 각 사람의 마음을 아시오니
그 모든 행위대로 행하사 갚으시옵소서 주만 홀로 인생의 마음을 다 아심이니이다
8:39 Give ear in heaven your living-place, acting in mercy; and give to every man whose
secret heart is open to you, the reward of all his ways; for you, and you only,
have knowledge of the hearts of all the children of men:
8:39 Then hear you in heaven your dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and
give to every man according to his ways, whose heart you know; (for you, even
you only, know the hearts of all the children of men;)
8:40 그리하시면 저희가 주께서 우리 열조에게 주신 땅에서 사는 동안에 항상
주를 경외하리이다
8:40 So that they may give you worship all the days of their life in the land which you
gave to our fathers.
8:40 That they may fear you all the days that they live in the land which
you gave unto our fathers.
8:41 ○ 또 주의 백성 이스라엘에 속하지 아니한 자 곧 주의 이름을 위하여 먼
지방에서 온 이방인이라도
8:41 And as for the man from a strange land, who is not of your people Israel; when he
comes from a far country because of the glory of your name:
8:41 Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of your people Israel, but
comes out of a far country for your name's sake;
8:42 저희가 주의 광대한 이름과 주의 능한 손과 주의 펴신 팔의 소문을 듣고
와서 이 전을 향하여 기도하거든
8:42 (For they will have news of your great name and your strong hand and your out-stretched
arm;) when he comes to make his prayer, turning to this house:
8:42 (For they shall hear of your great name, and of your strong hand, and
of your stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
8:43 주는 계신 곳 하늘에서 들으시고 무릇 이방인이 주께 부르짖는 대로 이루사
땅의 만민으로 주의 이름을 알고 주의 백성 이스라엘처럼 경외하게 하옵시며 또
내가 건축한 이 전을 주의 이름으로 일컫는 줄을 알게 하옵소서
8:43 Give ear in heaven your living-place, and give him his desire, whatever it may be;
so that all the peoples of the earth may have knowledge of your name, worshipping
you as do your people Israel, and that they may see that this house which I have
put up is truly named by your name.
8:43 Hear you in heaven your dwelling place, and do according to all that
the stranger calls to you for: that all people of the earth may know your name,
to fear you, as do your people Israel; and that they may know that this house,
which I have built, is called by your name.
8:44 ○ 주의 백성이 그 적국으로 더불어 싸우고자 하여 주의 보내신 길로 나갈
때에 저희가 주의 빼신 성과 내가 주의 이름을 위하여 건축한 전 있는 편을 향하여
여호와께 기도하거든
8:44 If your people go out to war against their attackers, by whatever way you may send
them, if they make their prayer to the Lord, turning their faces to this town of
yours and to this house which I have made for your name:
8:44 If your people go out to battle against their enemy, anywhere you shall
send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which you have chosen,
and toward the house that I have built for your name:
8:45 주는 하늘에서 저희의 기도와 간구를 들으시고 그 일을 돌아보옵소서
8:45 Give ear in heaven to their prayer and their cry for grace, and see right done to
them.
8:45 Then hear you in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain
their cause.
8:46 ○ 범죄치 아니하는 사람이 없사오니 저희가 주께 범죄함으로 주께서 저희에게
진노하사 저희를 적국에게 붙이시매 적국이 저희를 사로잡아 원근을 물론하고 적국의
땅으로 끌어간 후에
8:46 If they do wrong against you, (for no man is without sin,) and you are angry with
them and give them up into the power of those who are fighting against them, so
that they take them away as prisoners into a strange land, far off or near;
8:46 If they sin against you, (for there is no man that sins not,) and you
be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away
captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
8:47 저희가 사로잡혀 간 땅에서 스스로 깨닫고 그 사로잡은 자의 땅에서 돌이켜
주께 간구하기를 우리가 범죄하여 패역을 행하며 악을 지었나이다 하며
8:47 And if they take thought, in the land where they are prisoners, and are turned again
to you, crying out in prayer to you in that land, and saying, We are sinners, we
have done wrong, we have done evil;
8:47 Yet if they shall call to reflect themselves in the land where they
were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto you in the land
of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely,
we have committed wickedness;
8:48 자기를 사로잡아 간 적국의 땅에서 온 마음과 온 뜻으로 주께 돌아와서 주께서
그 열조에게 주신 땅 곧 주의 빼신 성과 내가 주의 이름을 위하여 건축한 전 있는
편을 향하여 주께 기도하거든
8:48 And with all their heart and soul are turned again to you, in the land of those
who took them prisoners, and make their prayer to you, turning their eyes to this
land which you gave to their fathers, and to the town which you took for yourself,
and the house which I made for your name:
8:48 And so return unto you with all their heart, and with all their soul,
in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto you
toward their land, which you gave unto their fathers, the city which you have
chosen, and the house which I have built for your name:
8:49 주는 계신 곳 하늘에서 저희 기도와 간구를 들으시고 저희의 일을 돌아보옵시며
8:49 Then give ear to their prayer and to their cry in heaven your living-place, and
see right done to them;
8:49 Then hear you their prayer and their supplication in heaven your dwelling
place, and maintain their cause,
8:50 주께 범죄한 백성을 용서하시며 주께 범한 그 모든 허물을 사하시고 저희를
사로잡아 간 자의 앞에서 저희로 불쌍히 여김을 얻게 하사 그 사람들로 저희를 불쌍히
여기게 하옵소서
8:50 Answering with forgiveness the people who have done wrong against you, and overlooking
the evil which they have done against you; let those who made them prisoners be
moved with pity for them, and have pity on them;
8:50 And forgive your people that have sinned against you, and all their
transgressions wherein they have transgressed against you, and give them compassion
before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
8:51 저희는 주께서 철 풀무 같은 애굽에서 인도하여 내신 주의 백성, 주의 산업이
됨이니이다
8:51 For they are your people and your heritage, which you took out of Egypt, out of
the iron fireplace;
8:51 For they be your people, and yours inheritance, which you brought forth
out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
8:52 원컨대 주는 눈을 들어 종의 간구함과 주의 백성 이스라엘의 간구함을 보시고
무릇 주께 부르짖는 대로 들으시옵소서
8:52 Let your eyes be open to your servant's prayer for grace and to the prayer of your
people Israel, hearing them when their cry comes to you.
8:52 That yours eyes may be open unto the supplication of your servant, and
unto the supplication of your people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that
they call for unto you.
8:53 주 여호와여 주께서 우리 조상을 애굽에서 인도하여 내실 때에 주의 종 모세로
말씀하심 같이 주께서 세상 만민 가운데서 저희를 구별하여 주의 산업을 삼으셨나이다
8:53 For you made them separate from all the peoples of the earth, to be your heritage,
as you said by Moses your servant, when you took our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord
God.
8:53 For you did separate them from among all the people of the earth, to
be yours inheritance, as you spoke by the hand of Moses your servant, when you
brought our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.
8:54 ○ 솔로몬이 무릎을 끓고 손을 펴서 하늘을 향하여 이 기도와 간구로 여호와께
아뢰기를 마치고 여호와의 단 앞에서 일어나
8:54 Then Solomon, after making all these prayers and requests for grace to the Lord,
got up from his knees before the altar of the Lord, where his hands had been stretched
out in prayer to heaven;
8:54 And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this
prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the
LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
8:55 서서 큰 소리로 이스라엘의 온 회중을 위하여 축복하며 가로되
8:55 And, getting on his feet, he gave a blessing to all the men of Israel, saying with
a loud voice,
8:55 And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud
voice, saying,
8:56 여호와를 찬송할지로다 저가 무릇 허하신 대로 그 백성 이스라엘에게 태평을
주셨으니 그 종 모세를 빙자하여 무릇 허하신 그 선한 말씀이 하나도 이루지 않음이
없도다
8:56 Praise be to the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, as he gave them his
word to do; every word of all his oath, which he gave by the hand of Moses his servant,
has come true.
8:56 Blessed be the LORD, that has given rest unto his people Israel, according
to all that he promised: there has not failed one word of all his good promise,
which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
8:57 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리 열조와 함께 계시던 것 같이 우리와 함께 계시옵고
우리를 떠나지 마옵시며 버리지 마옵시고
8:57 Now may the Lord our God be with us as he was with our fathers; let him never go
away from us or give us up;
8:57 The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not
leave us, nor forsake us:
8:58 우리의 마음을 자기에게로 향하여 그 모든 길로 행하게 하옵시며 우리 열조에게
명하신 계명과 법도와 율례를 지키게 하시기를 원하오며
8:58 Turning our hearts to himself, guiding us to go in all his ways, to keep his orders
and his laws and his decisions, which he gave to our fathers.
8:58 That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and
to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded
our fathers.
8:59 여호와의 앞에서 나의 간구한 이 말씀을 주야로 우리 하나님 여호와께 가까이
있게 하옵시고 또 주의 종의 일과 주의 백성 이스라엘의 일을 날마다 당하는 대로
돌아보사
8:59 And may these my words, the words of my prayer to the Lord, be before the Lord our
God day and night, so that he may see right done to his servant and to his people
Israel, day by day as we have need.
8:59 And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the
LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause
of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter
shall require:
8:60 이에 세상 만민에게 여호와께서만 하나님이시고 그 외에는 없는 줄을 알게
하시기를 원하노라
8:60 So that all the peoples of the earth may see that the Lord is God, and there is
no other.
8:60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and
that there is none else.
8:61 ○ 그런즉 너희 마음을 우리 하나님 여호와와 화합하여 완전케 하여 오늘날과
같이 그 법도를 행하며 그 계명을 지킬지어다
8:61 Then let your hearts be without sin before the Lord our God, walking in his laws
and keeping his orders as at this day.
8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in
his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
8:62 이에 왕과 왕과 함께 한 이스라엘이 다 여호와 앞에 희생을 드리니라
8:62 Now the king, and all Israel with him, were making offerings before the Lord.
8:62 And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the
LORD.
8:63 솔로몬이 화목제의 희생을 드렸으니 곧 여호와께 드린 소가 이만 이천이요
양이 십이만이라 이와 같이 왕과 모든 이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 전의 낙성식을 행하였는데
8:63 And Solomon gave to the Lord for peace-offerings, twenty-two thousand oxen and a
hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel kept
the feast of the opening of the Lord's house.
8:63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered
unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand
sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the
LORD.
8:64 그 날에 왕이 여호와의 전 앞뜰 가운데를 거룩히 구별하고 거기서 번제와
소제와 감사제의 기름을 드렸으니 이는 여호와의 앞 놋단이 작으므로 번제물과 소제물과
화목제의 기름을 다 용납할 수 없음이라
8:64 The same day the king made holy the middle of the open square in front of the house
of the Lord, offering there the burned offering and the meal offering and the fat
of the peace-offerings; for there was not room on the brass altar of the Lord for
the burned offerings and the meal offerings and the fat of the peace-offerings.
8:64 The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before
the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and food offerings,
and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brazen altar that was before
the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and food offerings,
and the fat of the peace offerings.
8:65 그 때에 솔로몬이 칠 일 칠 일 합 십 사 일을 우리 하나님 여호와 앞에서 절기로
지켰는데 하맛 어귀에서부터 애굽 하수까지의 온 이스라엘의 큰 회중이 모여 저와
함께 하였더니
8:65 So Solomon and all Israel with him, a very great meeting, (for the people had come
together from the way into Hamath to the river of Egypt,) kept the feast at that
time before the Lord our God, for two weeks, even fourteen days.
8:65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great
congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before
the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
8:66 제 팔 일에 솔로몬이 백성을 돌려보내매 백성이 왕을 위하여 축복하고 자기
장막으로 돌아가는데 여호와께서 그 종 다윗과 그 백성 이스라엘에게 베푸신 모든
은혜를 인하여 기뻐하며 마음에 즐거워하였더라
8:66 And on the eighth day he sent the people away, and, blessing the king, they went
to their tents full of joy and glad in their hearts, because of all the good which
the Lord had done to David his servant and to Israel his people.
8:66 On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king,
and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that
the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
9:1 솔로몬이 여호와의 전과 왕궁 건축하기를 마치며 자기의 무릇 이루기를 원하던
일이 마친 때에
9:1 Now when Solomon came to the end of building the house of the Lord and the king's
house, and all Solomon's desires, which he had in mind were effected;
9:1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house
of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased
to do,
9:2 여호와께서 전에 기브온에서 나타나심 같이 다시 솔로몬에게 나타나사
9:2 The Lord came to him again in a vision, as he had done at Gibeon;
9:2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared
unto him at Gibeon.
9:3 저에게 이르시되 네가 내 앞에서 기도하며 간구함을 내가 들었은즉 내가 너의
건축한 이 전을 거룩하게 구별하여 나의 이름을 영영히 그 곳에 두며 나의 눈과 나의
마음이 항상 거기 있으리니
9:3 And the Lord said to him, Your prayers and your requests for grace have come to
my ears: I have made holy this house which you have made, and I have put my name
there for ever; my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.
9:3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication,
that you have made before me: I have hallowed this house, which you have built,
to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
9:4 네가 만일 네 아비 다윗의 행함 같이 마음을 온전히 하고 바르게 하여 내
앞에서 행하며 내가 네게 명한 대로 온갖 것을 순종하여 나의 법도와 율례를 지키면
9:4 As for you, if you will go on your way before me, as David your father did, uprightly
and with a true heart, doing what I have given you orders to do, keeping my laws
and my decisions;
9:4 And if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity
of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you,
and will keep my statutes and my judgments:
9:5 내가 네 아비 다윗에게 허하여 이르기를 이스라엘 위에 오를 사람이 네게서
끊어지지 아니하리라 한 대로 너의 이스라엘의 왕위를 영원히 견고하게 하려니와
9:5 Then I will make the seat of your rule over Israel certain for ever, as I gave my
word to David your father, saying, You will never be without a man to be king in
Israel.
9:5 Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom upon Israel for ever,
as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man upon
the throne of Israel.
9:6 만일 너희나 너희 자손이 아주 돌이켜 나를 좇지 아니하며 내가 너희 앞에
둔 나의 계명과 법도를 지키지 아니하고 가서 다른 신을 섬겨 그것을 숭배하면
9:6 But if you are turned from my ways, you or your children, and do not keep my orders
and my laws which I have put before you, but go and make yourselves servants to
other gods and give them worship:
9:6 But if all of you shall at all turn from following me, all of you or
your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have
set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
9:7 내가 이스라엘을 나의 준 땅에서 끊어 버릴 것이요 내 이름을 위하여 내가
거룩하게 구별한 이 전이라도 내 앞에서 던져버리리니 이스라엘은 모든 민족 가운데
속담거리와 이야기거리가 될 것이며
9:7 Then I will have Israel cut off from the land which I have given them; and this
house, which I have made holy for myself, I will put away from before my eyes; and
Israel will be a public example, and a word of shame among all peoples.
9:7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and
this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight;
and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
9:8 이 전이 높을지라도 무릇 그리로 지나가는 자가 놀라며 비웃어 가로되 여호와께서
무슨 까닭으로 이 땅과 이 전에 이같이 행하셨는고 하면
9:8 And this house will become a mass of broken walls, and everyone who goes by will
be overcome with wonder at it and make whistling sounds; and they will say, Why
has the Lord done so to this land and to this house?
9:8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passes by it shall be
astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why has the LORD done thus unto
this land, and to this house?
9:9 대답하기를 저희가 자기 열조를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내신 자기 하나님 여호와를
버리고 다른 신에게 부종하여 그를 숭배하여 섬기므로 여호와께서 이 모든 재앙을
저희에게 내리심이라 하리라 하셨더라
9:9 And their answer will be, Because they were turned away from the Lord their God,
who took their fathers out of the land of Egypt; they took for themselves other
gods and gave them worship and became their servants: that is why the Lord has sent
all this evil on them.
9:9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought
forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other
gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore has the LORD brought
upon them all this evil.
9:10 ○ 솔로몬이 두 집 곧 여호와의 전과 왕궁을 이십 년 만에 건축하기를 마치고
9:10 Now at the end of twenty years, in which time Solomon had put up the two houses,
the house of the Lord and the king's house,
9:10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built
the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,
9:11 갈릴리 땅의 성읍 이십을 히람에게 주었으니 이는 두로 왕 히람이 솔로몬에게
그 온갖 소원대로 백향목과 잣나무와 금을 지공하였음이라
9:11 (Hiram, king of Tyre, had given Solomon cedar-trees and cypress-trees and gold,
as much as he had need of,) King Solomon gave Hiram twenty towns in the land of
Galilee.
9:11 (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and
fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon
gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
9:12 히람이 두로에서 와서 솔로몬이 자기에게 준 성읍들을 보고 눈에 들지 아니하여
9:12 But when Hiram came from Tyre to see the towns which Solomon had given him, he was
not pleased with them.
9:12 And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given
him; and they pleased him not.
9:13 이르기를 나의 형이여 내게 준 이 성읍들이 이러하뇨 하고 이름하여 가불
땅이라 하였더니 그 이름이 오늘까지 있으니라
9:13 And he said, What sort of towns are these which you have given me, my brother? So
they were named the land of Cabul, to this day.
9:13 And he said, What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?
And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.
9:14 히람이 금 일백 이십 달란트를 왕에게 보내었더라
9:14 And Hiram sent the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold.
9:14 And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.
9:15 ○ 솔로몬 왕이 역군을 일으킨 까닭은 여호와의 전과 자기 궁과 밀로와 예루살렘
성과 하솔과 므깃도와 게셀을 건축하려 하였음이라
9:15 Now, this was the way of Solomon's system of forced work for the building of the
Lord's house and of the king's house, and the Millo and the wall of Jerusalem and
Megiddo and Gezer. ...
9:15 And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; in order
to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of
Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
9:16 전에 애굽 왕 바로가 올라와서 게셀을 탈취하여 불사르고 그 성에 사는 가나안
사람을 죽이고 그 성읍을 자기 딸 솔로몬의 아내에게 예물로 주었더니
9:16 Pharaoh, king of Egypt, came and took Gezer, burning it down and putting to death
the Canaanites living in the town, and he gave it for a bride-offering to his daughter,
Solomon's wife. ...
9:16 For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it
with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for
a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife.
9:17 솔로몬이 게셀과 아래 벧호론을 건축하고
9:17 ... and Solomon was the builder of Gezer and Beth-horon the lower,
9:17 And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,
9:18 또 바알랏과 그 땅의 들에 있는 다드몰과
9:18 And Baalath and Tamar in the waste land, in that land;
9:18 And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,
9:19 자기에게 있는 모든 국고성과 병거성들과 마병의 성들을 건축하고 솔로몬이
또 예루살렘과 레바논과 그 다스리는 온 땅에 건축하고자 하던 것을 다 건축하였는데
9:19 And all the store-towns and the towns which Solomon had for his war-carriages and
for his horsemen, and everything which it was his pleasure to put up in Jerusalem
and in Lebanon and in all the land under his rule.
9:19 And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots,
and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem,
and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
9:20 무릇 이스라엘 자손이 아닌 아모리 사람과 헷 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위
사람과 여부스 사람의 남아 있는 자
9:20 As for the rest of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and
the Jebusites, who were not children of Israel;
9:20 And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,
9:21 곧 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 못하므로 그 땅에 남아 있는 그 자손들을
솔로몬이 노예로 역군을 삼아 오늘까지 이르렀으되
9:21 Their children who were still in the land, and whom the children of Israel had not
been able to put to complete destruction, them did Solomon put to forced work, to
this day.
9:21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children
of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy
a tribute of bondservants unto this day.
9:22 오직 이스라엘 자손은 솔로몬이 노예를 삼지 아니하였으니 저희는 군사와
그 신복과 방백과 대장이며 병거와 마병의 장관이 됨이었더라
9:22 But Solomon did not put the children of Israel to forced work; they were the men
of war, his servants, his captains, and his chiefs, captains of his war-carriages
and of his horsemen.
9:22 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they
were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers
of his chariots, and his horsemen.
9:23 ○ 솔로몬에게 역사를 감독하는 두목 오백 오십 인이 있어 역사하는 백성을
다스렸더라
9:23 These were the chiefs of the overseers of Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty,
in authority over the people who did the work.
9:23 These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work,
five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the
work.
9:24 ○ 바로의 딸이 다윗 성에서부터 올라와 솔로몬이 저를 위하여 건축한 궁에
이를 때에 솔로몬이 밀로를 건축하였더라
9:24 At that time Solomon made Pharaoh's daughter come up from the town of David to the
house which he had made for her: then he made the Millo.
9:24 But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house
which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.
9:25 ○ 솔로몬이 여호와를 위하여 쌓은 단 위에 해마다 세 번씩 번제와 감사제를
드리고 또 여호와 앞에 있는 단에 분향하니라 이에 전 역사가 마치니라
9:25 Three times in the year it was Solomon's way to give burned offerings and peace-offerings
on the altar he had made to the Lord, causing his fire-offering to go up on the
altar before the Lord.
9:25 And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace
offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense
upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
9:26 ○ 솔로몬 왕이 에돔 땅 홍해 물 가 엘롯 근처 에시온게벨에서 배들을 지은지라
9:26 And King Solomon made a sea-force of ships in Ezion-geber, by Eloth, on the Red
Sea, in the land of Edom.
9:26 And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside
Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.
9:27 히람이 자기 종 곧 바다에 익숙한 사공들을 솔로몬의 종과 함께 그 배로
보내매
9:27 Hiram sent his servants, who were experienced seamen, in the sea-force with Solomon's
men.
9:27 And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, sailors that had knowledge
of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
9:28 저희가 오빌에 이르러 거기서 금 사백 이십 달란트를 얻고 솔로몬 왕에게로
가져왔더라
9:28 And they came to Ophir, where they got four hundred and twenty talents of gold,
and took it back to King Solomon.
9:28 And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and
twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
10:1 스바 여왕이 여호와의 이름으로 말미암은 솔로몬의 명예를 듣고 와서 어려운
문제로 저를 시험코자 하여
10:1 Now the queen of Sheba, hearing great things of Solomon, came to put his wisdom
to the test with hard questions.
10:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning
the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
10:2 예루살렘에 이르니 수원이 심히 많고 향품과 심히 많은 금과 보석을 약대에
실었더라 저가 솔로몬에게 나아와 자기 마음에 있는 것을 다 말하매
10:2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels weighted down with
spices, and stores of gold and jewels: and when she came to Solomon she had talk
with him of everything in her mind.
10:2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that
bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come
to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
10:3 솔로몬이 그 묻는 말을 다 대답하였으니 왕이 은미하여 대답지 못한 것이
없었더라
10:3 And Solomon gave her answers to all her questions; there was no secret which the
king did not make clear to her.
10:3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid
from the king, which he told her not.
10:4 스바 여왕이 솔로몬의 모든 지혜와 그 건축한 궁과
10:4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which
he had made,
10:4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house
that he had built,
10:5 그 상의 식물과 그 신복들의 좌석과 그 신하들의 시립한 것과 그들의 공복과
술 관원들과 여호와의 전에 올라가는 층계를 보고 정신이 현황하여
10:5 And the food at his table, and all his servants seated there, and those who were
waiting on him in their places, and their robes, and his wine-servants, and the
burned offerings which he made in the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit
in her.
10:5 And the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the
attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his
ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit
in her.
10:6 왕께 고하되 내가 내 나라에서 당신의 행위와 당신의 지혜에 대하여 들은
소문이 진실하도다
10:6 And she said to the king, The account which was given to me in my country of your
acts and your wisdom was true.
10:6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine
own land of your acts and of your wisdom.
10:7 내가 그 말들을 믿지 아니하였더니 이제 와서 목도한즉 내게 말한 것은 절반도
못되니 당신의 지혜와 복이 나의 들은 소문에 지나도다
10:7 But I had no faith in what was said about you, till I came and saw for myself; and
now I see that it was not half the story; your wisdom and your wealth are much greater
than they said.
10:7 Nevertheless I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had
seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: your wisdom and prosperity exceeds
the fame which I heard.
10:8 복되도다 당신의 사람들이여 복되도다 당신의 이 신복들이여 항상 당신의
앞에 서서 당신의 지혜를 들음이로다
10:8 Happy are your wives, happy are these your servants whose place is ever before you,
hearing your words of wisdom.
10:8 Happy are your men, happy are these your servants, which stand continually
before you, and that hear your wisdom.
10:9 당신의 하나님 여호와를 송축할지로다 여호와께서 당신을 기뻐하사 이스라엘
위에 올리셨고 여호와께서 영영히 이스라엘을 사랑하시므로 당신을 세워 왕을 삼아
공과 의를 행하게 하셨도다 하고
10:9 May the Lord your God be praised, whose pleasure it was to put you on the seat of
the kingdom of Israel; because the Lord's love for Israel is eternal, he has made
you king, to be their judge in righteousness.
10:9 Blessed be the LORD your God, which delighted in you, to set you on
the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made
he you king, to do judgment and justice.
10:10 이에 저가 금 일백 이십 달란트와 심히 많은 향품과 보석을 왕께 드렸으니
스바 여왕이 솔로몬 왕께 드린 것처럼 많은 향품이 다시 오지 아니하였더라
10:10 And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a great store of
spices and jewels: never again was such a wealth of spices seen as that which the
queen of Sheba gave King Solomon.
10:10 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of
spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance
of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
10:11 ○ [오빌에서부터 금을 실어 온 히람의 배들이 오빌에서 많은 백단목과
보석을 운반하여 오매
10:11 And the sea-force of Hiram, in addition to gold from Ophir, came back with much
sandal-wood and jewels.
10:11 And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in
from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.
10:12 왕이 백단목으로 여호와의 전과 왕궁의 난간을 만들고 또 노래하는 자를
위하여 수금과 비파를 만들었으니 이같은 백단목은 전에도 온 일이 없었고 오늘까지도
보지 못하였더라]
10:12 And from the sandal-wood the king made pillars for the house of the Lord, and for
the king's house, and instruments of music for the makers of melody: never has such
sandal-wood been seen to this day.
10:12 And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD,
and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came
no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.
10:13 솔로몬 왕이 왕의 규례대로 스바 여왕에게 물건을 준 외에 또 저의 소원대로
무릇 구하는 것을 주니 이에 저가 그 신복들로 더불어 본국으로 돌아갔더라
10:13 And King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she made request
for, in addition to what he gave her freely from the impulse of his heart. So she
went back to her country, she and her servants.
10:13 And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever
she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned
and went to her own country, she and her servants.
10:14 ○ 솔로몬의 세입금의 중수가 육백 육십 육 금 달란트요
10:14 Now the weight of gold which came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six
talents;
10:14 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred
threescore and six talents of gold,
10:15 그 외에 또 상고와 무역하는 객상과 아라비아 왕들과 나라의 방백들에게서도
가져온지라
10:15 In addition to what came to him from the business of the traders, and from all the
kings of the Arabians, and from the rulers of the country.
10:15 Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the trade of the spice
merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.
10:16 솔로몬 왕이 쳐서 늘인 금으로 큰 방패 이백을 만들었으니 매 방패에 든
금이 육백 세겔이며
10:16 And Solomon made two hundred body-covers of hammered gold, every one having six
hundred shekels of gold in it.
10:16 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred
shekels of gold went to one target.
10:17 또 쳐서 늘인 금으로 작은 방패 삼백을 만들었으니 매 방패에 든 금이 삼
마네라 왕이 이것들을 레바논 나무 궁에 두었더라
10:17 And he made three hundred smaller body-covers of hammered gold, with three pounds
of gold in every cover: and the king put them in the house of the Woods of Lebanon.
10:17 And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold
went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
10:18 왕이 또 상아로 큰 보좌를 만들고 정금으로 입혔으니
10:18 Then the king made a great ivory seat, plated with the best gold.
10:18 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with
the best gold.
10:19 그 보좌에는 여섯 층계가 있고 보좌 뒤에 둥근 머리가 있고 앉는 자리 양편에는
팔걸이가 있고 팔걸이 곁에는 사자가 하나씩 섰으며
10:19 There were six steps going up to it, and the top of it was round at the back, there
were arms on the two sides of the seat, and two lions by the side of the arms;
10:19 The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind:
and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions
stood beside the stays.
10:20 또 열 두 사자가 있어 그 여섯 층계 좌우편에 섰으니 아무 나라에도 이같이
만든 것이 없었더라
10:20 And twelve lions were placed on the one side and on the other side on the six steps:
there was nothing like it in any kingdom.
10:20 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon
the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
10:21 솔로몬 왕의 마시는 그릇은 다 금이요 레바논 나무 궁의 그릇들도 다 정금이라
은 기물이 없으니 솔로몬의 시대에 은을 귀히 여기지 아니함은
10:21 And all King Solomon's drinking-vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the
house of the Woods of Lebanon were of the best gold; not one was of silver, for
no one gave a thought to silver in the days of King Solomon.
10:21 And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels
of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver:
it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
10:22 왕이 바다에 다시스 배들을 두어 히람의 배와 함께 있게 하고 그 다시스
배로 삼 년에 일 차씩 금과 은과 상아와 잔나비와 공작을 실어 왔음이더라
10:22 For the king had Tarshish-ships at sea with the ships of Hiram; once every three
years the Tarshish-ships came with gold and silver and ivory and monkeys and peacocks.
10:22 For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram:
once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory,
and apes, and peacocks.
10:23 ○ 솔로몬 왕의 재산과 지혜가 천하 열왕보다 큰지라
10:23 And King Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in wealth and in wisdom.
10:23 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and
for wisdom.
10:24 천하가 다 하나님께서 솔로몬의 마음에 주신 지혜를 들으며 그 얼굴을 보기
원하여
10:24 And from all over the earth they came to see Solomon and to give ear to his wisdom,
which God had put in his heart.
10:24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God
had put in his heart.
10:25 각기 예물을 가지고 왔으니 곧 은 그릇과 금 그릇과 의복과 갑옷과 향품과
말과 노새라 해마다 정한 수가 있었더라
10:25 And everyone took with him an offering, vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and
robes, and coats of metal, and spices, and horses, and beasts of transport, regularly
year by year.
10:25 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels
of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year
by year.
10:26 ○ 솔로몬이 병거와 마병을 모으매 병거가 일천 사백이요 마병이 일만 이천이라
병거성에도 두고 예루살렘 왕에게도 두었으며
10:26 And Solomon got together war-carriages and horsemen; he had one thousand, four hundred
carriages and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he kept, some in the carriage-towns
and some with the king at Jerusalem.
10:26 And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand
and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in
the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.
10:27 왕이 예루살렘에서 은을 돌 같이 흔하게 하고 백향목을 평지의 뽕나무 같이
많게 하였더라
10:27 And the king made silver as common as stones in Jerusalem and cedars like the sycamore-trees
of the lowlands in number.
10:27 And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made
he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.
10:28 솔로몬의 말들은 애굽에서 내어왔으니 왕의 상고들이 떼로 정가하여 산
것이며
10:28 And Solomon's horses came from Egypt and from Kue; the king's traders got them at
a price from Kue.
10:28 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's
merchants received the linen yarn at a price.
10:29 애굽에서 내어올린 병거는 하나에 은 육백 세겔이요 말은 일백 오십 세겔이라
이와 같이 헷 사람의 모든 왕과 아람 왕들을 위하여도 그 손으로 내어왔더라
10:29 A war-carriage might be got from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a
horse for a hundred and fifty; they got them at the same rate for all the kings
of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.
10:29 And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels
of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of
the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
11:1 솔로몬 왕이 바로의 딸 외에 이방의 많은 여인을 사랑하였으니 곧 모압과
암몬과 에돔과 시돈과 헷 여인이라
11:1 Now a number of strange women were loved by Solomon, women of the Moabites, Ammonites,
Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:
11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter
of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:
11:2 여호와께서 일찌기 이 여러 국민에게 대하여 이스라엘 자손에게 말씀하시기를
너희는 저희와 서로 통하지 말며 저희도 너희와 서로 통하게 말라 저희가 정녕코
너희의 마음을 돌이켜 저희의 신들을 좇게 하리라 하셨으나 솔로몬이 저희를 연애하였더라
11:2 The nations of which the Lord had said to the children of Israel, You are not to
take wives from them and they are not to take wives from you; or they will certainly
make you go after their gods: to these Solomon was united in love.
11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel,
All of you shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for
surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these
in love.
11:3 왕은 후비가 칠백 인이요 빈장이 삼백 인이라 왕비들이 왕의 마음을 돌이켰더라
11:3 He had seven hundred wives, daughters of kings, and three hundred other wives; and
through his wives his heart was turned away.
11:3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines:
and his wives turned away his heart.
11:4 솔로몬의 나이 늙을 때에 왕비들이 그 마음을 돌이켜 다른 신들을 좇게 하였으므로
왕의 마음이 그 부친 다윗의 마음과 같지 아니하여 그 하나님 여호와 앞에 온전치
못하였으니
11:4 For it came about that when Solomon was old, his heart was turned away to other
gods by his wives; and his heart was no longer true to the Lord his God as the heart
of his father David had been.
11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away
his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his
God, as was the heart of David his father.
11:5 이는 시돈 사람의 여신 아스다롯을 좇고 암몬 사람의 가증한 밀곰을 좇음이라
11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Zidonians, and Milcom, the
disgusting god of the Ammonites.
11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after
Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
11:6 솔로몬이 여호와의 눈 앞에서 악을 행하여 그 부친 다윗이 여호와를 온전히
좇음 같이 좇지 아니하고
11:6 And Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not walking in the Lord's ways with
all his heart as David his father did.
11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after
the LORD, as did David his father.
11:7 모압의 가증한 그모스를 위하여 예루살렘 앞 산에 산당을 지었고 또 암몬
자손의 가증한 몰록을 위하여 그와 같이 하였으며
11:7 Then Solomon put up a high place for Chemosh, the disgusting god of Moab, in the
mountain before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the disgusting god worshipped by the
children of Ammon.
11:7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of
Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination
of the children of Ammon.
11:8 저가 또 이족 후비들을 위하여 다 그와 같이 한지라 저희가 자기의 신들에게
분향하며 제사하였더라
11:8 And so he did for all his strange wives, who made offerings with burning of perfumes
to their gods.
11:8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and
sacrificed unto their gods.
11:9 ○ 솔로몬이 마음을 돌이켜 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 떠나므로 여호와께서
저에게 진노하시니라 여호와께서 일찌기 두 번이나 저에게 나타나시고
11:9 And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from the
Lord, the God of Israel, who had twice come to him in a vision;
11:9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from
the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
11:10 이 일에 대하여 명하사 다른 신을 좇지 말라 하셨으나 저가 여호와의 명령을
지키지 않았으므로
11:10 And had given him orders about this very thing, that he was not to go after other
gods; but he did not keep the orders of the Lord.
11:10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go
after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
11:11 여호와께서 솔로몬에게 말씀하시되 네게 이러한 일이 있었고 또 네가 나의
언약과 내가 네게 명한 법도를 지키지 아니하였으니 내가 결단코 이 나라를 네게서
빼앗아 네 신복에게 주리라
11:11 So the Lord said to Solomon, Because you have done this, and have not kept my agreement
and my laws, which I gave you, I will take the kingdom away from you by force and
will give it to your servant.
11:11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of
you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded
you, I will surely rend the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
11:12 그러나 네 아비 다윗을 위하여 네 세대에는 이 일을 행치 아니하고 네 아들의
손에서 빼앗으려니와
11:12 I will not do it in your life-time, because of your father David, but I will take
it from your son.
11:12 Notwithstanding in your days I will not do it for David your father's
sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of your son.
11:13 오직 내가 이 나라를 다 빼앗지 아니하고 나의 종 다윗과 나의 뺀 예루살렘을
위하여 한 지파를 네 아들에게 주리라 하셨더라
11:13 Still I will not take all the kingdom from him; but I will give one tribe to your
son, because of my servant David, and because of Jerusalem, the town of my selection.
11:13 Nevertheless I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one
tribe to your son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which
I have chosen.
11:14 ○ 여호와께서 에돔 사람 하닷을 일으켜 솔로몬의 대적이 되게 하시니 저는
왕의 자손으로서 에돔에 거하였더라
11:14 So the Lord sent Hadad the Edomite to make trouble for Solomon: he was of the king's
seed in Edom.
11:14 And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite:
he was of the king's seed in Edom.
11:15 전에 다윗이 에돔에 있을 때에 군대 장관 요압이 가서 죽임을 당한 자들을
장사하고 에돔의 남자를 다 쳐서 죽였는데
11:15 And when David had sent destruction on Edom, and Joab, the captain of the army,
had gone to put the dead into the earth, and had put to death every male in Edom;
11:15 For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of
the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;
11:16 요압은 에돔의 남자를 다 없이 하기까지 이스라엘 무리와 함께 여섯 달을
그 곳에 유하였었더라
11:16 (For Joab and all Israel were there six months till every male in Edom had been
cut off;)
11:16 (For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had
cut off every male in Edom:)
11:17 그 때에 하닷은 작은 아이라 그 아비의 신복 중 두어 에돔 사람과 함께
도망하여 애굽으로 가려 하여
11:17 Hadad, being still a young boy, went in flight to Egypt, with certain Edomites,
servants of his father;
11:17 That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with
him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
11:18 미디안에서 발행하여 바란에 이르고 거기서 사람을 데리고 애굽으로 가서
애굽 왕 바로에게 나아가매 바로가 저에게 집을 주고 먹을 양식을 정하며 또 토지를
주었더라
11:18 And they went on from Midian and came to Paran; and, taking men from Paran with
them, they came to Egypt, to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who gave him a house and gave
orders for his food and gave him land.
11:18 And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men
with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt;
which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.
11:19 하닷이 바로의 눈 앞에 크게 은총을 얻었으므로 바로가 자기의 처제 곧 왕비
다브네스의 아우로 저의 아내를 삼으매
11:19 Now Hadad was very pleasing to Pharaoh, so that he gave him the sister of his wife,
Tahpenes the queen, for his wife.
11:19 And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave
him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
11:20 다브네스의 아우가 그로 말미암아 아들 그누밧을 낳았더니 다브네스가 그
아이를 바로의 궁중에서 젖을 떼게 하매 그누밧이 바로의 궁에서 바로의 아들 가운데
있었더라
11:20 And the sister of Tahpenes had a son by him, Genubath, whom Tahpenes took care of
in Pharaoh's house; and Genubath was living in Pharaoh's house among Pharaoh's sons.
11:20 And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes
weaned in Pharaoh's house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh's household among the
sons of Pharaoh.
11:21 하닷이 애굽에 있어서 다윗이 그 열조와 함께 잔 것과 군대 장관 요압의
죽은 것을 듣고 바로에게 고하되 나를 보내어 내 고국으로 가게 하옵소서
11:21 Now when Hadad had news in Egypt that David had been put to rest with his fathers,
and that Joab, the captain of the army, was dead, he said to Pharaoh, Send me back
to my country.
11:21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and
that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart,
that I may go to mine own country.
11:22 바로가 저에게 이르되 네가 나와 함께 있어 무슨 부족함이 있기에 네 고국으로
가기를 구하느뇨 대답하되 없나이다 그러나 아무쪼록 나를 보내옵소서 하였더라
11:22 But Pharaoh said to him, What have you been short of while you have been with me,
that you are desiring to go back to your country? And he said, Nothing; but even
so, send me back.
11:22 Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what have you lacked with me, that,
behold, you seek to go to yours own country? And he answered, Nothing: nevertheless
let me go in any way.
11:23 ○ 하나님이 또 엘리아다의 아들 르손을 일으켜 솔로몬의 대적이 되게 하시니
저는 그 주인 소바 왕 하닷에셀에게서 도망한 자라
11:23 And God sent another trouble-maker, Rezon, the son of Eliada, who had gone in flight
from his lord, Hadadezer, king of Zobah:
11:23 And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah,
which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:
11:24 다윗이 소바 사람을 죽일 때에 르손이 사람들을 모으고 그 떼의 괴수가
되며 다메섹으로 가서 웅거하고 거기서 왕이 되었더라
11:24 He got some men together and made himself captain of a band of outlaws; and went
to Damascus and became king there.
11:24 And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when
David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and
reigned in Damascus.
11:25 솔로몬의 일평생에 하닷의 끼친 환난 외에 르손이 수리아 왕이 되어 이스라엘을
대적하고 미워하였더라
11:25 He was a trouble to Israel all through the days of Solomon. And this is the damage
Hadad did: he was cruel to Israel while he was ruler over Edom.
11:25 And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the
mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
11:26 ○ 솔로몬의 신복 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 또한 손을 들어 왕을 대적하였으니
저는 에브라임 족속인 스레다 사람이요 그 어미의 이름은 스루아니 과부더라
11:26 And there was Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zeredah, a servant
of Solomon, whose mother was Zeruah, a widow; and his hand was lifted up against
the king.
11:26 And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon's servant,
whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against
the king.
11:27 저가 손을 들어 왕을 대적하는 까닭은 이러하니라 솔로몬이 밀로를 건축하고
그 부친 다윗의 성의 무너진 것을 수축하였는데
11:27 The way in which his hand came to be lifted up against the king was this: Solomon
was building the Millo and making good the damaged parts of the town of his father
David;
11:27 And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king:
Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
11:28 이 사람 여로보암은 큰 용사라 솔로몬이 이 소년의 부지런함을 보고 세워
요셉 족속의 역사를 감독하게 하였더니
11:28 And Jeroboam was an able and responsible man; and Solomon saw that he was a good
worker and made him overseer of all the work given to the sons of Joseph.
11:28 And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing
the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge
of the house of Joseph.
11:29 그 즈음에 여로보암이 예루살렘에서 나갈 때에 실로 사람 선지자 아히야가
길에서 저를 만나니 아히야가 새 의복을 입었고 그 두 사람만 들에 있었더라
11:29 Now at that time, when Jeroboam was going out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the
Shilonite came across him on the road; now Ahijah had put on a new robe; and the
two of them were by themselves in the open country.
11:29 And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem,
that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad
himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
11:30 아히야가 그 입은 새 옷을 잡아 열 두 조각에 찢고
11:30 And Ahijah took his new robe in his hands, parting it violently into twelve.
11:30 And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve
pieces:
11:31 여로보암에게 이르되 너는 열 조각을 취하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의
말씀이 내가 이 나라를 솔로몬의 손에서 찢어 빼앗아 열 지파를 네게 주고
11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take ten of the parts, for this is what the Lord has said:
See, I will take the kingdom away from Solomon by force, and will give ten tribes
to you;
11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take you ten pieces: for thus says the LORD,
the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon,
and will give ten tribes to you:
11:32 오직 내 종 다윗을 위하고 이스라엘 모든 지파 중에서 뺀 성 예루살렘을
위하여 한 지파를 솔로몬에게 주리니
11:32 (But one tribe will be his, because of my servant David, and because of Jerusalem,
the town which, out of all the tribes of Israel, I have made mine,)
11:32 (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's
sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
11:33 이는 저희가 나를 버리고 시돈 사람의 여신 아스다롯과 모압의 신 그모스와
암몬 자손의 신 밀곰을 숭배하며 그 아비 다윗의 행함 같지 아니하여 내 길로 행치
아니하며 나 보기에 정직한 일과 나의 법도와 나의 율례를 행치 아니함이니라
11:33 Because they are turned away from me to the worship of Ashtoreth, the goddess of
the Zidonians, and Chemosh, the god of Moab, and Milcom, the god of the Ammonites;
they have not been walking in my ways or doing what is right in my eyes or keeping
my laws and my decisions as his father David did.
11:33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the
goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god
of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is
right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his
father.
11:34 그러나 내가 뺀 내 종 다윗이 내 명령과 내 법도를 지켰으므로 내가 저를
위하여 솔로몬의 생전에는 온 나라를 그 손에서 빼앗지 아니하고 주관하게 하려니와
11:34 But I will not take the kingdom from him; I will let him be king all the days of
his life, because of David my servant, in whom I took delight because he kept my
orders and my laws.
11:34 Nevertheless I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but
I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake,
whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
11:35 내가 그 아들의 손에서 나라를 빼앗아 그 열 지파를 네게 줄 것이요
11:35 But I will take the kingdom from his son, and give it to you.
11:35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it
unto you, even ten tribes.
11:36 그 아들에게는 내가 한 지파를 주어서 내가 내 이름을 두고자 하여 택한
성 예루살렘에서 내 종 다윗에게 한 등불이 항상 내 앞에 있게 하리라
11:36 And one tribe I will give to his son, so that David my servant may have a light
for ever burning before me in Jerusalem, the town which I have made mine to put
my name there.
11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have
a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put
my name there.
11:37 내가 너를 취하리니 너는 무릇 네 마음에 원하는 대로 다스려 이스라엘 위에
왕이 되되
11:37 And you I will take, and you will be king over Israel, ruling over whatever is the
desire of your soul.
11:37 And I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your
soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.
11:38 네가 만일 내가 명한 모든 일에 순종하고 내 길로 행하며 내 눈에 합당한
일을 하며 내 종 다윗의 행함 같이 내 율례와 명령을 지키면 내가 너와 함께 있어
내가 다윗을 위하여 세운 것 같이 너를 위하여 견고한 집을 세우고 이스라엘을 네게
주리라
11:38 And if you give attention to the orders I give you, walking in my ways and doing
what is right in my eyes and keeping my laws and my orders as David my servant did;
then I will be with you, building up for you a safe house, as I did for David, and
I will give Israel to you.
11:38 And it shall be, if you will hearken unto all that I command you, and
will walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes
and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with you, and build
you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto you.
11:39 내가 이로 인하여 다윗의 자손을 괴롭게 할 터이나 영원히 하지는 아니하리라
하셨느니라 한지라
11:39 (So that I may send trouble for this on the seed of David, but not for ever.)
11:39 And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
11:40 이러므로 솔로몬이 여로보암을 죽이려 하매 여로보암이 일어나 애굽으로
도망하여 애굽 왕 시삭에게 이르러 솔로몬의 죽기까지 애굽에 있으니라
11:40 And Solomon was looking for a chance to put Jeroboam to death; but he went in flight
to Egypt, to Shishak, king of Egypt, and was in Egypt till the death of Solomon.
11:40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and
fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death
of Solomon.
11:41 ○ 솔로몬의 남은 사적과 무릇 저의 행한 일과 그 지혜는 솔로몬의 행장에
기록되지 아니하였느냐
11:41 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all he did, and his wisdom, are they not
recorded in the book of the acts of Solomon?
11:41 And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom,
are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
11:42 솔로몬이 예루살렘에서 온 이스라엘을 다스린 날 수가 사십 년이라
11:42 And the time Solomon was king in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
11:42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was
forty years.
11:43 솔로몬이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 부친 다윗의 성에 장사되고 그 아들 르호보암이
대신하여 왕이 되니라
11:43 And Solomon went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town
of David his father: and Solomon went to rest with his fathers and Rehoboam his
son became king in his place.
11:43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David
his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his position.
12:1 르호보암이 세겜으로 갔으니 이는 온 이스라엘이 저로 왕을 삼고자 하여
세겜에 이르렀음이더라
12:1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem, where all Israel had come together to make him king,
12:1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to
make him king.
12:2 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 전에 솔로몬 왕의 얼굴을 피하여 애굽으로 도망하여
있었더니 이제 그 소문을 듣고 오히려 애굽에 있는 중에
12:2 And, hearing of it, Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who was still in Egypt, where he
had gone in flight from Solomon, and was living there, came back to his town Zeredah,
in the hill-country of Ephraim;
12:2 And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in
Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and
Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)
12:3 무리가 보내어 저를 불렀더라 여로보암과 이스라엘의 온 회중이 와서 르호보암에게
고하여 가로되
12:3 And all the men of Israel came to Rehoboam and said,
12:3 That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation
of Israel came, and spoke unto Rehoboam, saying,
12:4 왕의 부친이 우리의 멍에를 무겁게 하였으나 왕은 이제 왕의 부친이 우리에게
시킨 고역과 메운 무거운 멍에를 가볍게 하소서 그리하시면 우리가 왕을 섬기겠나이다
12:4 Your father put a hard yoke on us: if you will make the conditions under which your
father kept us down less cruel, and the weight of the yoke he put on us less hard,
then we will be your servants.
12:4 Your father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make you the grievous
service of your father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and
we will serve you.
12:5 르호보암이 대답하되 갔다가 삼 일 후에 다시 내게로 오라 하매 백성이 가니라
12:5 And he said to them, Go away for three days and then come back to me again. So the
people went away.
12:5 And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to
me. And the people departed.
12:6 ○ 르호보암 왕이 그 부친 솔로몬의 생전에 그 앞에 모셨던 노인들과 의논하여
가로되 너희는 어떻게 교도하여 이 백성에게 대답하게 하겠느뇨
12:6 Then King Rehoboam took the opinion of the old men who had been with Solomon his
father when he was living, and said, In your opinion, what answer am I to give to
this people?
12:6 And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon
his father while he yet lived, and said, How do all of you advise that I may
answer this people?
12:7 대답하여 가로되 왕이 만일 오늘날 이 백성의 종이 되어 저희를 섬기고 좋은
말로 대답하여 이르시면 저희가 영영히 왕의 종이 되리이다 하나
12:7 And they said to him, If you will be a servant to this people today, caring for
them and giving them a gentle answer, then they will be your servants for ever.
12:7 And they spoke unto him, saying, If you will be a servant unto this
people this day, and will serve them, and answer them, and speak good words
to them, then they will be your servants for ever.
12:8 왕이 노인의 교도하는 것을 버리고 그 앞에 모셔 있는 자기와 함께 자라난
소년들과 의논하여
12:8 But he gave no attention to the opinion of the old men, and went to the young men
of his generation who were waiting before him:
12:8 But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him,
and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood
before him:
12:9 가로되 너희는 어떻게 교도하여 이 백성에게 대답하게 하겠느뇨 백성이 내게
말하기를 왕의 부친이 우리에게 메운 멍에를 가볍게 하라 하였느니라
12:9 And said to them, What is your opinion? What answer are we to give to this people
who have said to me, Make less the weight of the yoke which your father put on us?
12:9 And he said unto them, What counsel give all of you that we may answer
this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which your father
did put upon us lighter?
12:10 함께 자라난 소년들이 왕께 고하여 가로되 이 백성들이 왕께 고하기를 왕의
부친이 우리의 멍에를 무겁게 하였으나 왕은 우리를 위하여 가볍게 하라 하였은즉
왕은 대답하기를 나의 새끼 손가락이 내 부친의 허리보다 굵으니
12:10 And the young men of his generation said to him, This is the answer to give to the
people who came to you saying, Your father put a hard yoke on us; will you make
it less? say to them, My little finger is thicker than my father's body;
12:10 And the young men that were grown up with him spoke unto him, saying,
Thus shall you speak unto this people that spoke unto you, saying, Your father
made our yoke heavy, but make you it lighter unto us; thus shall you say unto
them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.
12:11 내 부친이 너희로 무거운 멍에를 메게 하였으나 이제 나는 너희의 멍에를
더욱 무겁게 할지라 내 부친은 채찍으로 너희를 징치하였으나 나는 전갈로 너희를
징치하리라 하소서
12:11 If my father put a hard yoke on you, I will make it harder: my father gave you punishment
with whips, but I will give you blows with snakes.
12:11 And now whereas my father did load you with a heavy yoke, I will add
to your yoke: my father has chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you
with scorpions.
12:12 ○ 삼 일 만에 여로보암과 모든 백성이 르호보암에게 나아왔으니 이는 왕이
명하여 이르기를 삼 일 만에 내게로 다시 오라 하였음이라
12:12 So all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king had given orders,
saying, Come back to me the third day.
12:12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the
king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.
12:13 왕이 포학한 말로 백성에게 대답할새 노인의 교도를 버리고
12:13 And the king gave them a rough answer, giving no attention to the suggestion of
the old men;
12:13 And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's
counsel that they gave him;
12:14 소년의 가르침을 좇아 저희에게 고하여 가로되 내 부친은 너희의 멍에를
무겁게 하였으나 나는 너희의 멍에를 더욱 무겁게 할지라 내 부친은 채찍으로 너희를
징치하였으나 나는 전갈로 너희를 징치하리라 하니라
12:14 But giving them the answer put forward by the young men, saying, My father made
your yoke hard, but I will make it harder; my father gave you punishment with whips,
but I will give it with snakes.
12:14 And spoke to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father
made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised
you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
12:15 왕이 이같이 백성의 말을 듣지 아니하였으니 이 일은 여호와께로 말미암아
난 것이라 여호와께서 전에 실로 사람 아히야로 느밧의 아들 여로보암에게 고한 말씀을
응하게 하심이더라
12:15 So the king did not give ear to the people; and this came about by the purpose of
the Lord, so that what he had said by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam, son of Nebat,
might be effected.
12:15 Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was
from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah
the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
12:16 ○ 온 이스라엘이 자기들의 말을 왕이 듣지 아니함을 보고 왕에게 대답하여
가로되 우리가 다윗과 무슨 관계가 있느뇨 이새의 아들에게서 업이 없도다 이스라엘아
너희의 장막으로 돌아가라 다윗이여 이제 너는 네 집이나 돌아보라 하고 이스라엘이
그 장막으로 돌아가니라
12:16 And when all Israel saw that the king would give no attention to them, the people
in answer said to the king, What part have we in David? what is our heritage in
the son of Jesse? to your tents, O Israel; now see to your people, David. So Israel
went away to their tents.
12:16 So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people
answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance
in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to yours own house, David.
So Israel departed unto their tents.
12:17 그러나 유다 성읍들에 사는 이스라엘 자손에게는 르호보암이 그 왕이 되었더라
12:17 (But Rehoboam was still king over those of the children of Israel who were living
in the towns of Judah.)
12:17 But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah,
Rehoboam reigned over them.
12:18 르호보암 왕이 역군의 감독 아도니람을 보내었더니 온 이스라엘이 저를
돌로 쳐죽인지라 르호보암 왕이 급히 수레에 올라 예루살렘으로 도망하였더라
12:18 Then King Rehoboam sent Adoniram, the overseer of the forced work; and he was stoned
to death by all Israel. And King Rehoboam went quickly and got into his carriage
to go in flight to Jerusalem.
12:18 Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel
stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to
get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
12:19 이에 이스라엘이 다윗의 집을 배반하여 오늘날까지 이르렀더라
12:19 So Israel was turned away from the family of David to this day.
12:19 So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.
12:20 온 이스라엘이 여로보암의 돌아왔다 함을 듣고 보내어 저를 공회로 청하여다가
온 이스라엘의 왕을 삼았으니 유다 지파 외에는 다윗의 집을 좇는 자가 없으니라
12:20 Now when all Israel had news that Jeroboam had come back, they sent for him to come
before the meeting of the people, and made him king over Israel: not one of them
was joined to the family of David but only the tribe of Judah.
12:20 And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again,
that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over
all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of
Judah only.
12:21 ○ 르호보암이 예루살렘에 이르러 유다 온 족속과 베냐민 지파를 모으니
택한 용사가 십팔만이라 이스라엘 족속과 싸워 나라를 회복하여 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암에게
돌리려 하더니
12:21 When Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he got together all the men of Judah and the tribe
of Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand of his best fighting-men, to make war
against Israel and get the kingdom back for Rehoboam, the son of Solomon.
12:21 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house
of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen
men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the
kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
12:22 하나님의 말씀이 하나님의 사람 스마야에게 임하여 가라사대
12:22 But the word of God came to Shemaiah, the man of God, saying,
12:22 But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
12:23 솔로몬의 아들 유다 왕 르호보암과 유다와 베냐민 온 족속과 또 그 남은
백성에게 고하여 이르기를
12:23 Say to Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the men of Judah
and Benjamin and the rest of the people:
12:23 Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all
the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
12:24 여호와의 말씀이 너희는 올라가지 말라 너희 형제 이스라엘 자손과 싸우지
말고 각기 집으로 돌아가라 이 일이 내게로 말미암아 난 것이라 하셨다 하라 하신지라
저희가 여호와의 말씀을 듣고 그 말씀을 좇아 돌아갔더라
12:24 The Lord has said, You are not to go to war against your brothers, the children
of Israel; go back, every man to his house, because this thing is my purpose. So
they gave ear to the word of the Lord, and went back, as the Lord had said.
12:24 Thus says the LORD, All of you shall not go up, nor fight against your
brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing
is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to
depart, according to the word of the LORD.
12:25 ○ 여로보암이 에브라임 산지에 세겜을 건축하고 거기서 살며 또 거기서
나가서 부느엘을 건축하고
12:25 Then Jeroboam made the town of Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim a strong place,
and was living there; and from there he went out and did the same to Penuel.
12:25 Then Jeroboam built Shechem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt therein; and
went out from thence, and built Penuel.
12:26 그 마음에 스스로 이르기를 나라가 이제 다윗의 집으로 돌아가리로다
12:26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now the kingdom will go back to the family of David:
12:26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the
house of David:
12:27 만일 이 백성이 예루살렘에 있는 여호와의 전에 제사를 드리고자 하여 올라가면
이 백성의 마음이 유다 왕 된 그 주 르호보암에게로 돌아가서 나를 죽이고 유다 왕
르호보암에게로 돌아가리로다 하고
12:27 If the people go up to make offerings in the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, their
heart will be turned again to their lord, to Rehoboam, king of Judah; and they will
put me to death and go back to Rehoboam, king of Judah.
12:27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem,
then shall the heart of this people return unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam
king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.
12:28 이에 계획하고 두 금송아지를 만들고 무리에게 말하기를 너희가 다시는
예루살렘에 올라갈 것이 없도다 이스라엘아 이는 너희를 애굽땅에서 인도하여 올린
너희 신이라 하고
12:28 So after taking thought the king made two oxen of gold; and he said to the people,
You have been going up to Jerusalem long enough; see! these are your gods, O Israel,
who took you out of the land of Egypt.
12:28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said
unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold your gods, O
Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
12:29 하나는 벧엘에 두고 하나는 단에 둔지라
12:29 And he put one in Beth-el and the other in Dan.
12:29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.
12:30 이 일이 죄가 되었으니 이는 백성들이 단까지 가서 그 하나에게 숭배함이더라
12:30 And this became a sin in Israel; for the people went to give worship to the one
at Beth-el, and to the other at Dan.
12:30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before
the one, even unto Dan.
12:31 저가 또 산당들을 짓고 레위 자손 아닌 보통 백성으로 제사장을 삼고
12:31 And he made places for worship at the high places, and made priests, who were not
Levites, from among all the people.
12:31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the low of
the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.
12:32 팔 월 곧 그 달 십 오 일로 절기를 정하여 유다의 절기와 비슷하게 하고 단에
올라가되 벧엘에서 그와 같이 행하여 그 만든 송아지에게 제사를 드렸으며 그 지은
산당의 제사장은 벧엘에서 세웠더라
12:32 And Jeroboam gave orders for a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of
the month, like the feast which is kept in Judah, and he went up to the altar. And
in the same way, in Beth-el, he gave offerings to the oxen which he had made, placing
in Beth-el the priests of the high places he had made.
12:32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth
day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon
the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made:
and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.
12:33 저가 자기 마음대로 정한 달 곧 팔 월 십 오 일로 이스라엘 자손을 위하여
절기로 정하고 벧엘에 쌓은 단에 올라가서 분향하였더라
12:33 He went up to the altar he had made in Beth-el on the fifteenth day of the eighth
month, the month fixed by him at his pleasure; and he gave orders for a feast for
the people of Israel, and went up to the altar, and there he made the smoke of his
offerings go up.
12:33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth
day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart;
and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar,
and burnt incense.
13:1 때에 하나님의 사람이 여호와의 말씀으로 인하여 유다에서부터 벧엘에 이르니
마침 여로보암이 단 곁에 서서 분향하는지라
13:1 Then a man of God came from Judah by the order of the Lord to Beth-el, where Jeroboam
was by the altar, burning offerings.
13:1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the
LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
13:2 하나님의 사람이 단을 향하여 여호와의 말씀으로 외쳐 가로되 단아 단아
여호와께서 말씀하시기를 다윗의 집에 요시야라 이름하는 아들을 낳으리니 저가 네
위에 분향하는 산당 제사장을 네 위에 제사할 것이요 또 사람의 뼈를 네 위에 사르리라
하셨느니라 하고
13:2 And by the order of the Lord he made an outcry against the altar, saying, O altar,
altar, the Lord has said, From the seed of David will come a child, named Josiah,
and on you he will put to death the priests of the high places, who are burning
offerings on you, and men's bones will be burned on you.
13:2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O
altar, altar, thus says the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house
of David, Josiah by name; and upon you shall he offer the priests of the high
places that burn incense upon you, and men's bones shall be burnt upon you.
13:3 그 날에 저가 예조를 들어 가로되 이는 여호와의 말씀하신 예조라 단이 갈라지며
그 위에 있는 재가 쏟아지리라 하매
13:3 The same day he gave them a sign, saying, This is the sign which the Lord has given:
See, the altar will be broken and the burned waste on it overturned.
13:3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the
LORD has spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon
it shall be poured out.
13:4 여로보암 왕이 하나님의 사람의 벧엘에 있는 단을 향하여 외쳐 말함을 들을
때에 단에서 손을 펴며 저를 잡으라 하더라 저를 향하여 편 손이 말라 다시 거두지
못하며
13:4 Then the king, hearing the man of God crying out against the altar at Beth-el, put
out his hand from the altar, saying, Take him prisoner. And his hand, stretched
out against him, became dead, and he had no power of pulling it back.
13:4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man
of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand
from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against
him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
13:5 하나님의 사람의 여호와의 말씀으로 보인 예조대로 단이 갈라지며 재가 단에서
쏟아진지라
13:5 And the altar was broken and the burned waste on it overturned; this was the sign
which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord.
13:5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according
to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.
13:6 왕이 하나님의 사람에게 말하여 가로되 청컨대 너는 나를 위하여 네 하나님
여호와께 은혜를 구하여 내 손으로 다시 성하게 기도하라 하나님의 사람이 여호와께
은혜를 구하니 왕의 손이 다시 성하여 전과 같이 되니라
13:6 Then the king made answer and said to the man of God, Make a prayer now for the
grace of the Lord your God, and for me, that my hand may be made well. And in answer
to the prayer of the man of God, the king's hand was made well again, as it was
before.
13:6 And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Implore now the
face of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me
again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored
him again, and became as it was before.
13:7 왕이 하나님의 사람에게 이르되 나와 함께 집에 가서 몸을 쉬라 내가 네게
예물을 주리라
13:7 And the king said to the man of God, Come with me to my house for food and rest,
and I will give you a reward.
13:7 And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh
yourself, and I will give you a reward.
13:8 하나님의 사람이 왕께 대답하되 왕께서 왕의 집 절반으로 내게 준다 할지라도
나는 왕과 함께 들어가지도 아니하고 이곳에서는 떡도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지
아니하리니
13:8 But the man of God said to the king, Even if you gave me half of all you have, I
would not go in with you, and I would not take food or a drink of water in this
place;
13:8 And the man of God said unto the king, If you will give me half yours
house, I will not go in with you, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in
this place:
13:9 이는 곧 여호와의 말씀이 내게 명하여 이르시기를 떡도 먹지 말고 물도 마시지
말고 왔던 길로 도로 가지도 말라 하셨음이니이다 하고
13:9 For so I was ordered by the word of the Lord, who said, You are not to take food
or a drink of water, and you are not to go back the way you came.
13:9 For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread,
nor drink water, nor return by the same way that you came.
13:10 이에 다른 길로 가고 자기가 벧엘에 오던 길로 좇아 돌아가지 아니하니라
13:10 So he went another way, and not by the way he came to Beth-el.
13:10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to
Bethel.
13:11 ○ 벧엘에 한 늙은 선지자가 살더니 그 아들들이 와서 이 날에 하나님의
사람이 벧엘에서 행한 모든 일을 저에게 고하고 또 그가 왕에게 고한 말씀도 저희가
그 아비에게 고한지라
13:11 Now there was an old prophet living in Beth-el; and one of his sons came and gave
him word of all the man of God had done that day in Beth-el, and they gave their
father an account of the words he had said to the king.
13:11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told
him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words
which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
13:12 그 아비가 저희에게 이르되 그가 어느 길로 가더냐 하니 그 아들들이 유다에서부터
온 하나님의 사람의 간 길을 보았음이라
13:12 Then their father said to them, Which way did he go? Now his sons had seen which
way the man of God who came from Judah had gone.
13:12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had
seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
13:13 저가 그 아들들에게 이르되 나를 위하여 나귀에 안장을 지우라 저희가 나귀에
안장을 지우니 저가 타고
13:13 So the prophet said to his sons, Make ready an ass for me. So they made an ass ready,
and he got on it,
13:13 And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the
ass: and he rode thereon,
13:14 하나님의 사람의 뒤를 좇아가서 상수리나무 아래 앉은 것을 보고 이르되
그대가 유다에서 온 하나님의 사람이뇨 대답하되 그러하다
13:14 And went after the man of God, and came up with him while he was seated under an
oak-tree. And he said to him, Are you the man of God who came from Judah? And he
said, I am.
13:14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak:
and he said unto him, Are you the man of God that came from Judah? And he said,
I am.
13:15 저가 그 사람에게 이르되 나와 함께 집으로 가서 떡을 먹으라
13:15 Then he said to him, Come back to the house with me and have a meal.
13:15 Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
13:16 대답하되 나는 그대와 함께 돌아가지도 못하겠고 그대와 함께 들어가지도
못하겠으며 내가 이곳에서 그대와 함께 떡도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하리니
13:16 But he said, I may not go back with you or go into your house; and I will not take
food or a drink of water with you in this place;
13:16 And he said, I may not return with you, nor go in with you: neither
will I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place:
13:17 이는 여호와의 말씀이 내게 이르시기를 네가 거기서 떡도 먹지 말고 물도
마시지 말며 또 네가 오던 길로 돌아가지도 말라 하셨음이로라
13:17 For the Lord said to me, You are not to take food or water there, or go back again
by the way you came.
13:17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, You shall eat no bread
nor drink water there, nor return to go by the way that you came.
13:18 저가 그 사람에게 이르되 나도 그대와 같은 선지자라 천사가 여호와의 말씀으로
내게 이르기를 그를 네 집으로 데리고 돌아가서 그에게 떡을 먹이고 물을 마시우라
하였느니라 하니 이는 그 사람을 속임이라
13:18 Then he said to him, I am a prophet like you; and an angel said to me by the word
of the Lord, Take him back with you and give him food and water. But he said false
words to him.
13:18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as you are; and an angel spoke
unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with you into yours
house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
13:19 이에 그 사람이 저와 함께 돌아가서 그 집에서 떡을 먹으며 물을 마시니라
13:19 So he went back with him, and had a meal in his house and a drink of water.
13:19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank
water.
13:20 ○ 저희가 상 앞에 앉았을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그 사람을 데려온 선지자에게
임하니
13:20 But while they were seated at the table, the word of the Lord came to the prophet
who had taken him back;
13:20 And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the
LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:
13:21 저가 유다에서부터 온 하나님의 사람을 향하여 외쳐 가로되 여호와의 말씀에
네가 여호와의 말씀을 어기며 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 명한 명령을 지키지 아니하고
13:21 And crying out to the man of God who came from Judah, he said, The Lord says, Because
you have gone against the voice of the Lord, and have not done as you were ordered
by the Lord,
13:21 And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus
says the LORD, Forasmuch as you have disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and have
not kept the commandment which the LORD your God commanded you,
13:22 돌아와서 여호와가 너더러 떡도 먹지 말고 물도 마시지 말라 한 곳에서
떡을 먹고 물을 마셨으니 네 시체가 네 열조의 묘실에 들어가지 못하리라 하셨느니라
하니라
13:22 But have come back, and have taken food and water in this place where he said you
were to take no food or water; your dead body will not be put to rest with your
fathers.
13:22 But came back, and have eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of
the which the Lord did say to you, Eat no bread, and drink no water; your carcass
shall not come unto the tomb of your fathers.
13:23 자기가 데리고 온 선지자가 떡을 먹고 물을 마신 후에 그를 위하여 나귀에
안장을 지우니라
13:23 Now after the meal he made ready the ass for him, for the prophet whom he had taken
back.
13:23 And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk,
that he saddled for him the ass, to know, for the prophet whom he had brought
back.
13:24 이에 그 사람이 가더니 사자가 길에서 저를 만나 죽이매 그 시체가 길에
버린 바 되니 나귀는 그 곁에 섰고 사자도 그 시체 곁에 섰더라
13:24 And he went on his way; but on the road a lion came rushing at him and put him to
death; and his dead body was stretched in the road with the ass by its side, and
the lion was there by the body.
13:24 And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and
his carcass was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood
by the carcass.
13:25 지나가는 사람들이 길에 버린 시체와 그 시체 곁에 선 사자를 보고 그 늙은
선지자가 사는 성읍에 와서 말한지라
13:25 And some men, going by, saw the body stretched out in the road with the lion by
its side; and they came and gave news of it in the town where the old prophet was
living.
13:25 And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcass cast in the way, and
the lion standing by the carcass: and they came and told it in the city where
the old prophet dwelt.
13:26 그 사람을 길에서 데리고 돌아간 선지자가 듣고 말하되 이는 여호와의 말씀을
어긴 하나님의 사람이로다 여호와께서 그에게 하신 말씀과 같이 여호와께서 그를
사자에게 붙이시매 사자가 그를 찢어 죽였도다 하고
13:26 Then the prophet who had made him come back, hearing it, said, It is the man of
God, who went against the word of the Lord; that is why the Lord has given him to
the lion to be wounded to death, as the Lord said.
13:26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof,
he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD:
therefore the LORD has delivered him unto the lion, which has torn him, and
slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke unto him.
13:27 이에 그 아들들에게 말하여 가로되 나를 위하여 나귀에 안장을 지우라 저희가
안장을 지우매
13:27 And he said to his sons, Make ready the ass for me. And they did so.
13:27 And he spoke to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled
him.
13:28 저가 가서 본즉 그 시체가 길에 버린 바 되었고 나귀와 사자는 그 시체
곁에 섰는데 사자가 시체를 먹지도 아니하였고 나귀를 찢지도 아니하였더라
13:28 And he went and saw the dead body stretched out in the road with the ass and the
lion by its side: the lion had not taken the body for its food or done any damage
to the ass.
13:28 And he went and found his carcass cast in the way, and the ass and
the lion standing by the carcass: the lion had not eaten the carcass, nor torn
the ass.
13:29 늙은 선지자가 하나님의 사람의 시체를 떠들어 나귀에 실어 가지고 돌아와
자기 성읍으로 들어가서 슬피 울며 장사하되
13:29 Then the prophet took up the body of the man of God and put it on the ass and took
it back; and he came to the town to put the body to rest with weeping.
13:29 And the prophet took up the carcass of the man of God, and laid it
upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to
mourn and to bury him.
13:30 곧 그 시체를 자기의 묘실에 두고 그를 위하여 슬피 울며 가로되 오호라
나의 형제여 하니라
13:30 And he put the body in the resting-place made ready for himself, weeping and sorrowing
over it, saying, O my brother!
13:30 And he laid his carcass in his own grave; and they mourned over him,
saying, Alas, my brother!
13:31 그 사람을 장사한 후에 저가 그 아들들에게 말하여 가로되 내가 죽거든
하나님의 사람을 장사한 묘실에 나를 장사하되 내 뼈를 그의 뼈 곁에 두라
13:31 And when he had put it to rest, he said to his sons, When I am dead, then you are
to put my body into the earth with the body of this man of God, and put me by his
bones so that my bones may be kept safe with his bones.
13:31 And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spoke to his
sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb wherein the man of God
is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:
13:32 그가 여호와의 말씀으로 벧엘에 있는 단을 향하고 또 사마리아 성읍들에
있는 모든 산당을 향하여 외쳐 말한 것이 반드시 이룰 것임이니라
13:32 For the outcry he made by the word of the Lord against the altar in Beth-el and
against all the houses of the high places in the towns of Samaria, will certainly
come about.
13:32 For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar
in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities
of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.
13:33 ○ 여로보암이 이 일 후에도 그 악한 길에서 떠나 돌이키지 아니하고 다시
보통 백성으로 산당의 제사장을 삼되 누구든지 자원하면 그 사람으로 산당의 제사장을
삼았으므로
13:33 After this Jeroboam, not turning back from his evil ways, still made priests for
his altars from among all the people; he made a priest of anyone desiring it, so
that there might be priests of the high places.
13:33 After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made
again of the low of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would,
he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.
13:34 이 일이 여로보암 집에 죄가 되어 그 집이 지면에서 끊어져 멸망케 되니라
13:34 And this became a sin in the family of Jeroboam, causing it to be cut off and sent
to destruction from the face of the earth.
13:34 And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it
off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.
14:1 그 때에 여로보암의 아들 아비야가 병든지라
14:1 At that time Abijah, the son of Jeroboam, became ill.
14:1 At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
14:2 여로보암이 그 아내에게 이르되 청컨대 일어나 변장하여 사람으로 그대가
여로보암의 아내임을 알지 못하게 하고 실로로 가라 거기 선지자 아히야가 있나니
저는 이전에 내가 이 백성의 왕이 될 것을 내게 고한 사람이니라
14:2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Now come, put on different clothing so that you may
not seem to be the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; see, Ahijah is there, the
prophet who said I would be king over this people.
14:2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray you, and disguise yourself,
that you be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get you to Shiloh: behold,
there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people.
14:3 그대의 손에 떡 열과 과자와 꿀 한 병을 가지고 그에게로 가라 저가 그대에게
이 아이의 어떻게 될 것을 알게 하리라
14:3 And take with you ten cakes of bread and dry cakes and a pot of honey, and go to
him: he will give you word of what is to become of the child.
14:3 And take with you ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and
go to him: he shall tell you what shall become of the child.
14:4 여로보암의 아내가 그대로 하여 일어나 실로로 가서 아히야의 집에 이르니
아히야는 나이로 인하여 눈이 어두워 보지 못하더라
14:4 So Jeroboam's wife did so, and got up and went to Shiloh and came to the house of
Ahijah. Now Ahijah was unable to see, because he was very old.
14:4 And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came
to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason
of his age.
14:5 여호와께서 아히야에게 이르시되 여로보암의 아내가 그 아들이 병듦을 인하여
네게 물으러 오나니 너는 이리이리 대답하라 저가 들어올 때에 다른 사람인 체함이니라
14:5 And the Lord had said to Ahijah, The wife of Jeroboam is coming to get news from
you about her son, who is ill; give her such and such an answer; for she will make
herself seem to be another woman.
14:5 And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam comes to
ask a thing of you for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shall you say
unto her: for it shall be, when she comes in, that she shall feign herself to
be another woman.
14:6 ○ 저가 문으로 들어올 때에 아히야가 그 발소리를 듣고 말하되 여로보암의
처여 들어오라 네가 어찌하여 다른 사람인 체하느뇨 내가 명령을 받아 흉한 일로
네게 고하리니
14:6 Then Ahijah, hearing the sound of her footsteps coming in at the door, said, Come
in, O wife of Jeroboam; why do you make yourself seem like another? for I am sent
to you with bitter news.
14:6 And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came
in at the door, that he said, Come in, you wife of Jeroboam; why feign you yourself
to be another? for I am sent to you with heavy tidings.
14:7 가서 여로보암에게 고하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 내가 너를 백성
중에서 들어 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자가 되게 하고
14:7 Go, say to Jeroboam, These are the words of the Lord, the God of Israel: Though
I took you from among the people, lifting you up to be a ruler over my people Israel,
14:7 Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I
exalted you from among the people, and made you prince over my people Israel,
14:8 나라를 다윗의 집에서 찢어 내어 네게 주었거늘 너는 내 종 다윗이 나의
명령을 지켜 전심으로 나를 좇으며 나 보기에 정직한 일만 행하였음과 같지 아니하고
14:8 And took the kingdom away by force from the seed of David and gave it to you, you
have not been like my servant David, who kept my orders, and was true to me with
all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes.
14:8 And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it you:
and yet you have not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and
who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine
eyes;
14:9 너의 이전 사람들보다도 악을 행하고 가서 너를 위하여 다른 신을 만들며
우상을 부어 만들어 나의 노를 격발하고 나를 네 등 뒤에 버렸도다
14:9 But you have done evil more than any before you, and have made for yourself other
gods, and images of metal, moving me to wrath, and turning your back on me.
14:9 But have done evil above all that were before you: for you have gone
and made you other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and have
cast me behind your back:
14:10 그러므로 내가 여로보암의 집에 재앙을 내려 여로보암에게 속한 사내는
이스라엘 가운데 매인 자나 놓인 자나 다 끊어 버리되 거름을 쓸어 버림 같이 여로보암의
집을 말갛게 쓸어 버릴지라
14:10 So I will send evil on the line of Jeroboam, cutting off from his family every male
child, those who are shut up and those who go free in Israel; the family of Jeroboam
will be brushed away like a man brushing away waste till it is all gone.
14:10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and
will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisses against the wall, and him that is
shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam,
as a man takes away dung, till it be all gone.
14:11 여로보암에게 속한 자가 성에서 죽은즉 개가 먹고 들에서 죽은즉 공중의
새가 먹으리니 이는 여호와가 말하였음이니라 하셨나니
14:11 Those of the family of Jeroboam who come to death in the town, will become food
for the dogs; and those on whom death comes in the open country, will be food for
the birds of the air; for the Lord has said it.
14:11 Him that dies of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that
dies in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD has spoken it.
14:12 너는 일어나 네 집으로 가라 네 발이 성에 들어갈 때에 그 아이가 죽을지라
14:12 Up, then! go back to your house; and in the hour when your feet go into the town,
the death of the child will take place.
14:12 Arise you therefore, get you to yours own house: and when your feet
enter into the city, the child shall die.
14:13 온 이스라엘이 저를 위하여 슬퍼하며 장사하려니와 여로보암에게 속한 자는
오직 이 아이만 묘실에 들어가리니 이는 여로보암의 집 가운데서 저가 이스라엘 하나님
여호와를 향하여 선한 뜻을 품었음이니라
14:13 And all Israel will put his body to rest, weeping over him, because he only of the
family of Jeroboam will be put into his resting-place in the earth; for of all the
family of Jeroboam, in him only has the Lord, the God of Israel, seen some good.
14:13 And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam
shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward
the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
14:14 여호와께서 이스라엘의 위에 한 왕을 일으키신즉 저가 그 날에 여로보암의
집을 끊어 버리리라 어느 때냐 곧 이제라
14:14 And the Lord will put up a king over Israel who will send destruction on the family
of Jeroboam in that day;
14:14 Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall
cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
14:15 여호와께서 이스라엘을 쳐서 물에서 흔들리는 갈대 같이 되게 하시고 이스라엘을
그 열조에게 주신 이 좋은 땅에서 뽑아 저희를 하수 밖으로 흩으시리니 저희가 아세라
목상을 만들어 여호와를 진노케 하였음이니라
14:15 And even now the hand of the Lord has come down on Israel, shaking it like a river-grass
in the water; and, uprooting Israel from this good land, which he gave to their
fathers, he will send them this way and that on the other side of the River; because
they have made for themselves images, moving the Lord to wrath.
14:15 For the LORD shall strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water,
and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers,
and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves,
provoking the LORD to anger.
14:16 여호와께서 여로보암의 죄로 인하여 이스라엘을 버리시리니 이는 저도 범죄하고
이스라엘로 범죄케 하였음이니라 하니라
14:16 And he will give Israel up because of the sins which Jeroboam has done and made
Israel do.
14:16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did
sin, and who made Israel to sin.
14:17 ○ 여로보암의 처가 일어나 디르사로 돌아가서 집 문지방에 이를 때에 아이가
죽은지라
14:17 Then Jeroboam's wife got up and went away and came to Tirzah; and when she came
to the doorway of the house, death came to the child.
14:17 And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: and when
she came to the threshold of the door, the child died;
14:18 온 이스라엘이 저를 장사하고 저를 위하여 슬퍼하니 여호와께서 그 종 선지자
아히야로 하신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
14:18 And all Israel put his body to rest, weeping over him, as the Lord had said by his
servant Ahijah the prophet.
14:18 And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the
word of the LORD, which he spoke by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.
14:19 ○ 여로보암의 그 남은 행적 곧 저가 어떻게 싸운 것과 어떻게 다스린 것은
이스라엘 왕 역대 지략에 기록되니라
14:19 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he made war and how he became king, are
recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
14:19 And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned,
behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
14:20 여로보암이 왕이 된 지 이십 이 년이라 저가 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 아들
나답이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
14:20 And Jeroboam was king for twenty-two years, and was put to rest with his fathers,
and Nadab his son became king in his place.
14:20 And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and
he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his position.
14:21 ○ 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암은 유다 왕이 되었으니 르호보암이 위에 나아갈
때에 나이 사십 일 세라 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두시려고 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데서
빼신 성 예루살렘에서 십 칠 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 나아마라 암몬 사람이더라
14:21 And Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, was king in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years
old when he became king, and he was king for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town
which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there;
his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
14:21 And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty
and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in
Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did choose out of all the tribes of Israel,
to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
14:22 유다가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그 열조의 행한 모든 일보다 뛰어나게
하여 그 범한 죄로 여호와의 노를 격발하였으니
14:22 And Judah did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and made him more angry than their fathers
had done by their sins.
14:22 And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him
to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers
had done.
14:23 이는 저희도 산 위에와 모든 푸른 나무 아래 산당과 우상과 아세라 목상을
세웠음이라
14:23 For they made high places and upright stones and wood pillars on every high hill
and under every green tree;
14:23 For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every
high hill, and under every green tree.
14:24 그 땅에 또 남색하는 자가 있었고 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신
국민의 모든 가증한 일을 무리가 본받아 행하였더라
14:24 And more than this, there were those in the land who were used for sex purposes
in the worship of the gods, doing the same disgusting crimes as the nations which
the Lord had sent out before the children of Israel.
14:24 And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to
all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children
of Israel.
14:25 ○ 르호보암 왕 제 오 년에 애굽 왕 시삭이 올라와서 예루살렘을 치고
14:25 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against
Jerusalem;
14:25 And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak
king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem:
14:26 여호와의 전의 보물과 왕궁의 보물을 몰수히 빼앗고 또 솔로몬의 만든 금
방패를
다 빼앗은지라
14:26 And took away all the stored wealth from the house of the Lord, and from the king's
house, and all the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.
14:26 And he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures
of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields
of gold which Solomon had made.
14:27 르호보암 왕이 그 대신 놋으로 방패를 만들어 왕궁 문을 지키는 시위대
장관의 손에 맡기매
14:27 So in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass, and gave them
into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of
the king's house.
14:27 And king Rehoboam made in their position brazen shields, and committed
them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king's
house.
14:28 왕이 여호와의 전에 들어갈 때마다 시위하는 자가 그 방패를 들고 갔다가
시위소로 도로 가져갔더라
14:28 And whenever the king went into the house of the Lord, the armed men went with him
taking the body-covers, and then took them back to their room.
14:28 And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that
the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.
14:29 ○ 르호보암의 남은 사적과 무릇 그 행한 일이 유다 왕 역대 지략에 기록되지
아니하였느냐
14:29 Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all he did, are they not recorded in the
book of the history of the kings of Judah?
14:29 Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they
not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
14:30 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 항상 전쟁이 있으니라
14:30 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.

14:31 And Rehoboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with his
