37:1 요시야의 아들 시드기야가 여호야김의 아들 고니야를 대신하여 왕이 되었으니
이는 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 그로 유다 땅의 왕을 삼음이었더라
37:1 And Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, became king in place of Coniah, the son of Jehoiakim,
whom Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, made king in the land of Judah.
37:1 And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son
of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.
37:2 그와 그 신하와 그 땅 백성이 여호와께서 선지자 예레미야로 하신 말씀을
듣지 아니하니라
37:2 But he and his servants and the people of the land did not give ear to the words
of the Lord which he said by Jeremiah the prophet.
37:2 But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken
unto the words of the LORD, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.
37:3 ○ 시드기야 왕이 셀레먀의 아들 여후갈과 마아세야의 아들 제사장 스바냐를
선지자 예레미야에게 보내어 청하되 너는 우리를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하라
하였으니
37:3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah, the son
of Maaseiah the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Make prayer now to the
Lord our God for us.
37:3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah
the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto
the LORD our God for us.
37:4 때에 예레미야가 갇히지 아니하였으므로 백성 가운데 출입하는 중이었더라
37:4 (Now Jeremiah was going about among the people, for they had not put him in prison.
37:4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not
put him into prison.
37:5 바로의 군대가 애굽에서 나오매 예루살렘을 에워쌌던 갈대아인이 그 소문을
듣고 예루살렘에서 떠났더라
37:5 And Pharaoh's army had come out from Egypt: and the Chaldaeans, who were attacking
Jerusalem, hearing news of them, went away from Jerusalem.)
37:5 Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans
that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.
37:6 ○ 여호와의 말씀이 선지자 예레미야에게 임하여 가라사대
37:6 Then the word of the Lord came to the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
37:6 Then came the word of the LORD unto the prophet Jeremiah saying,
37:7 이스라엘의 하나님 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희를 보내어 내게 구하게
한 유다 왕에게 이르라 너희를 도우려고 나왔던 바로의 군대는 자기 땅 애굽으로
돌아가겠고
37:7 The Lord, the God of Israel, has said: This is what you are to say to the king of
Judah who sent you to get directions from me: See, Pharaoh's army, which has come
out to your help, will go back to Egypt, to their land.
37:7 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall all of you say to
the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh's
army, which has come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own
land.
37:8 갈대아인이 다시 와서 이 성을 쳐서 취하여 불사르리라
37:8 And the Chaldaeans will come back again and make war against this town and they
will take it and put it on fire.
37:8 And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and
take it, and burn it with fire.
37:9 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 스스로 속여 말하기를 갈대아인이 반드시
우리를 떠나리라 하지 말라 그들이 떠나지 아니하리라
37:9 The Lord has said, Have no false hopes, saying to yourselves, The Chaldaeans will
go away from us: for they will not go away.
37:9 Thus says the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall
surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.
37:10 가령 너희가 너희를 치는 갈대아인의 온 군대를 쳐서 그 중에 부상자만
남긴다 할지라도 그들이 각기 장막에서 일어나 이 성을 불사르리라
37:10 For even if you had overcome all the army of the Chaldaeans fighting against you,
and there were only wounded men among them, still they would get up, every man in
his tent, and put this town on fire.
37:10 For though all of you had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that
fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should
they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
37:11 갈대아인의 군대가 바로의 군대를 두려워하여 예루살렘에서 떠나매
37:11 And it came about that when the Chaldaean army outside Jerusalem had gone away for
fear of Pharaoh's army,
37:11 And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken
up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,
37:12 예레미야가 베냐민 땅에서 백성 중 분깃을 받으려고 예루살렘을 떠나 그리로
가려 하여
37:12 Jeremiah went out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, with the purpose
of taking up his heritage there among the people.
37:12 Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin,
to separate himself thence in the midst of the people.
37:13 베냐민 문에 이른즉 하나냐의 손자요 셀레먀의 아들인 이리야라 이름하는
문지기의 두목이 선지자 예레미야를 붙잡아 가로되 네가 갈대아인에게 항복하려 하는도다
37:13 But when he was at the Benjamin door, a captain of the watch named Irijah, the son
of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah, who was stationed there, put his hand on Jeremiah
the prophet, saying, You are going to give yourself up to the Chaldaeans.
37:13 And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was
there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and
he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You fall away to the Chaldeans.
37:14 예레미야가 가로되 망령되다 나는 갈대아인에게 항복하려 하지 아니하노라
이리야가 듣지 아니하고 예레미야를 잡아 방백들에게로 끌어가매
37:14 Then Jeremiah said, That is not true; I am not going to the Chaldaeans. But he would
not give ear to him: so Irijah made him prisoner and took him to the rulers.
37:14 Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans.
But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the
princes.
37:15 방백들이 노하여 예레미야를 때려서 서기관 요나단의 집에 가두었으니 이는
그들이 이 집으로 옥을 삼았음이더라
37:15 And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah, and gave him blows and put him in prison
in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.
37:15 Wherefore the princes were angry with Jeremiah, and stroke him, and
put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that
the prison.
37:16 예레미야가 토굴 옥 음실에 들어간 지 여러 날 만에
37:16 So Jeremiah came into the hole of the prison, under the arches, and was there for
a long time.
37:16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and
Jeremiah had remained there many days;
37:17 시드기야 왕이 보내어 그를 이끌어내고 왕궁에서 그에게 비밀히 물어 가로되
여호와께로서 받은 말씀이 있느뇨 예레미야가 대답하되 있나이다 또 가로되 왕이
바벨론 왕의 손에 붙임을 입으리이다
37:17 Then King Zedekiah sent and got him out: and the king, questioning him secretly
in his house, said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is.
Then he said, You will be given up into the hands of the king of Babylon.
37:17 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him
secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah
said, There is: for, said he, you shall be delivered into the hand of the king
of Babylon.
37:18 예레미야가 다시 시드기야 왕에게 이르되 내가 왕에게나 왕의 신하에게나
이 백성에게 무슨 죄를 범하였관대 나를 옥에 가두었나이까
37:18 Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah, What has been my sin against you or against
your servants or against this people, that you have put me in prison?
37:18 Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against
you, or against your servants, or against this people, that all of you have
put me in prison?
37:19 바벨론 왕이 와서 왕과 이 땅을 치지 아니하리라고 예언한 왕의 선지자들이
이제 어디 있나이까
37:19 Where now are your prophets who said to you, The king of Babylon will not come against
you and against this land?
37:19 Where are now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The
king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?
37:20 내 주 왕이여 이제 청컨대 나를 들으시며 나의 탄원을 받으사 나를 서기관
요나단의 집으로 돌려보내지 마옵소서 내가 거기서 죽을까 두려워하나이다
37:20 And now be pleased to give ear, O my lord the king; let my prayer for help come
before you, and do not make me go back to the house of Jonathan the scribe, for
fear that I may come to my death there.
37:20 Therefore hear now, I pray you, O my lord the king: let my supplication,
I pray you, be accepted before you; that you cause me not to return to the house
of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
37:21 이에 시드기야 왕이 명하여 예레미야를 시위대 뜰에 두고 떡 만드는 자의
거리에서 매일 떡 한 덩이씩 그에게 주게 하매 성중에 떡이 다할 때까지 이르니라 예레미야가
시위대 뜰에 머무늬라
37:21 Then by the order of Zedekiah the king, Jeremiah was put into the place of the armed
watchmen, and they gave him every day a cake of bread from the street of the bread-makers,
till all the bread in the town was used up. So Jeremiah was kept in the place of
the armed watchmen.
37:21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into
the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread
out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus
Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
38:1 맛단의 아들 스바댜와 바스훌의 아들 그다랴와 셀레먀의 아들 유갈과 말기야의 아들 바스훌이 예레미야의 모든 백성에게 이르는 말을 들은즉 이르기를
38:1 Now it came to the ears of Shephatiah, the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah, the son
of Pashhur, and Jucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur, the son of Malchiah, that
Jeremiah had said to all the people,
38:1 Then Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and
Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words
that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, saying,
38:2 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 이 성에 머무는 자는 칼과 기근과 염병에
죽으리라 그러나 갈대아인에게 항복하는 자는 살리니 그의 생명이 노략물을 얻음 같이
살리라
38:2 These are the words of the Lord: Whoever goes on living in this town will come to
his death by the sword or through need of food or by disease: but whoever goes out
to the Chaldaeans will keep his life out of the power of the attackers and be safe.
38:2 Thus says the LORD, He that remains in this city shall die by the sword,
by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goes forth to the Chaldeans
shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live.
38:3 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 이 성이 반드시 바벨론 왕의 군대의 손에 붙이우리니
그가 취하리라 하셨다 하는지라
38:3 The Lord has said, This town will certainly be given into the hands of the army
of the king of Babylon, and he will take it.
38:3 Thus says the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of
the king of Babylon's army, which shall take it.
38:4 이에 그 방백들이 왕께 고하되 이 사람이 백성의 평안을 구치 아니하고 해를
구하오니 청컨대 이 사람을 죽이소서 그가 이같이 말하여 이 성에 남은 군사의 손과
모든 백성의 손을 약하게 하나이다
38:4 Then the rulers said to the king, Let this man be put to death, because he is putting
fear into the hearts of the men of war who are still in the town, and into the hearts
of the people, by saying such things to them: this man is not working for the well-being
of the people, but for their damage.
38:4 Therefore the princes said unto the king, We plead to you, let this
man be put to death: for thus he weakens the hands of the men of war that remain
in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them:
for this man seeks not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.
38:5 시드기야 왕이 가로되 보라 그가 너희 손에 있느니라 왕은 조금도 너희를
거스릴 수 없느니라
38:5 Then Zedekiah the king said, See, he is in your hands: for the king was not able
to do anything against them.
38:5 Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand: for the king
is not he that can do any thing against you.
38:6 그들이 예레미야를 취하여 시위대 뜰에 있는 왕의 아들 말기야의 구덩이에
던져 넣을 때에 예레미야를 줄로 달아 내리웠는데 그 구덩이에는 물이 없고 진흙 뿐이므로
예레미야가 진흙 중에 빠졌더라
38:6 So they took Jeremiah and put him into the water-hole of Malchiah, the king's son,
in the place of the armed watchmen: and they let Jeremiah down with cords. And in
the hole there was no water, but wet earth: and Jeremiah went down into the wet
earth.
38:6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the
son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah
with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk
in the mire.
38:7 ○ 왕궁 환관 구스인 에벳멜렉이 그들의 예레미야를 구덩이에 던져 넣었음을
들으니라 때에 왕이 베냐민 문에 앉았더니
38:7 Now it came to the ears of Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, an unsexed servant in the
king's house, that they had put Jeremiah into the water-hole; the king at that time
being seated in the doorway of Benjamin:
38:7 Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the
king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then
sitting in the gate of Benjamin;
38:8 에벳멜렉이 왕궁에서 나와 왕께 고하여 가로되
38:8 And Ebed-melech went out from the king's house and said to the king,
38:8 Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spoke to the king
saying,
38:9 내 주 왕이여 저 사람들이 선지자 예레미야에게 행한 모든 일은 악하니이다
성중에 떡이 떨어졌거늘 그들이 그를 구덩이에 던져 넣었으니 그가 거기서 주려 죽으리이다
38:9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all they have done to Jeremiah the
prophet, whom they have put into the water-hole; and he will come to his death in
the place where he is through need of food: for there is no more bread in the town.
38:9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done
to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like
to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the
city.
38:10 왕이 구스인 에벳멜렉에게 명하여 가로되 너는 여기서 삼십 명을 데리고
가서 선지자 예레미야의 죽기 전에 그를 구덩이에서 끌어내라
m38:10 Then the king gave orders to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take with you three
men from here and get Jeremiah out of the water-hole before death overtakes him.
38:10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from
behind thirty men with you, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon,
before he die.
38:11 에벳멜렉이 사람들을 데리고 왕궁 곳간 밑 방에 들어가서 거기서 헝겊과
낡은 옷을 취하고 그것을 구덩이에 있는 예레미야에게 줄로 내리우며
38:11 So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went into the house of the king, to the
place where the clothing was kept, and got from there old clothing and bits of old
cloth, and let them down by cords into the water-hole where Jeremiah was.
38:11 So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the
king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags,
and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
38:12 구스인 에벳멜렉이 예레미야에게 이르되 너는 이 헝겊과 낡은 옷을 네 겨드랑이에
대고 줄을 그 아래 대라 예레미야가 그대로 하매
38:12 And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, Put these bits of old cloth under
your arms under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
38:12 And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old
cast clouts and rotten rags under yours armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah
did so.
38:13 그들이 줄로 예레미야를 구덩이에서 끌어낸지라 예레미야가 시위대 뜰에
머무늬라
38:13 So pulling Jeremiah up with the cords they got him out of the water-hole: and Jeremiah
was kept in the place of the armed watchmen.
38:13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon:
and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
38:14 ○ 시드기야 왕이 보내어 선지자 예레미야를 여호와의 집 제 삼 문으로
데려오게 하고 왕이 예레미야에게 이르되 내가 네게 한 일을 물으리니 일호도 내게
숨기지 말라
38:14 Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and took him into the rulers' doorway
in the house of the Lord: and the king said to Jeremiah, I have a question to put
to you; keep nothing back from me.
38:14 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him
into the third entry that is in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto
Jeremiah, I will ask you a thing; hide nothing from me.
38:15 예레미야가 시드기야에게 이르되 내가 이 일을 왕에게 아시게 하여도 왕이
단정코 나를 죽이지 아니하시리이까 가령 내가 왕을 권한다 할지라도 왕이 듣지 아니하시리이다
38:15 Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, If I give you the answer to your question, will
you not certainly put me to death? and if I make a suggestion to you, you will not
give it a hearing.
38:15 Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare it unto you, will you
not surely put me to death? and if I give you counsel, will you not hearken
unto me?
38:16 시드기야 왕이 비밀히 예레미야에게 맹세하여 가로되 우리에게 이 영혼을
지으신 여호와께서 사시거니와 내가 너를 죽이지도 아니하겠고 네 생명을 찾는 그
사람들의 손에 붙이지도 아니하리라
38:16 So King Zedekiah gave his oath to Jeremiah secretly, saying, By the living Lord,
who gave us our life, I will not put you to death, or give you up to these men who
are desiring to take your life.
38:16 So Zedekiah the king swore secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD
lives, that made us this soul, I will not put you to death, neither will I give
you into the hand of these men that seek your life.
38:17 ○ 예레미야가 시드기야에게 이르되 만군의 하나님이신 이스라엘의 하나님
여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 네가 만일 바벨론 왕의 방백들에게 항복하면 네 생명이
살겠고 이 성이 불사름을 입지 아니하겠고 너와 네 가족이 살려니와
38:17 Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, These are the words of the Lord, the God of armies,
the God of Israel: If you go out to the king of Babylon's captains, then you will
have life, and the town will not be burned with fire, and you and your family will
be kept from death:
38:17 Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus says the LORD, the God of hosts,
the God of Israel; If you will assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's
princes, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire;
and you shall live, and yours house:
38:18 네가 만일 나가서 바벨론 왕의 방백들에게 항복하지 아니하면 이 성이 갈대아인의
손에 붙이우리니 그들이 이 성을 불사를 것이며 너는 그들의 손을 벗어나지 못하리라
하셨나이다
38:18 But if you do not go out to the king of Babylon's captains, then this town will
be given into the hands of the Chaldaeans and they will put it on fire, and you
will not get away from them.
38:18 But if you will not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then
shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn
it with fire, and you shall not escape out of their hand.
38:19 시드기야 왕이 예레미야에게 이르되 나는 갈대아인에게 항복한 유다인을
두려워하노라 염려컨대 갈대아인이 나를 그들의 손에 붙이면 그들이 나를 조롱할까
하노라
38:19 And King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, I am troubled on account of the Jews who have
gone over to the Chaldaeans, for fear that they may give me up to them and they
will put me to shame.
38:19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that
are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they
mock me.
38:20 예레미야가 가로되 그 무리가 왕을 그들에게 붙이지 아니하리이다 원하옵나니
내가 왕에게 고한 바 여호와의 목소리를 청종하소서 그리하면 왕이 복을 받아 생명을
보존하시리이다
38:20 But Jeremiah said, They will not give you up: be guided now by the word of the Lord
as I have given it to you, and it will be well for you, and you will keep your life.
38:20 But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I plead to you,
the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto you: so it shall be well unto you,
and your soul shall live.
38:21 그러나 만일 항복하기를 거절하시면 여호와께서 내게 보이신 말씀대로 되리이다
38:21 But if you do not go out, this is what the Lord has made clear to me:
38:21 But if you refuse to go forth, this is the word that the LORD has showed
me:
38:22 곧 유다 왕궁에 남아 있는 모든 여자가 바벨론 왕의 방백들에게로 끌려갈
것이요 그들은 네게 말하기를 네 친구들이 너를 꾀어 이기고 네 발이 진흙에 빠짐을
보고 물러갔도다 하리라
38:22 See, all the rest of the women in the house of the king of Judah will be taken out
to the king of Babylon's captains, and these women will say, Your nearest friends
have been false to you and have got the better of you: they have made your feet
go deep into the wet earth, and they are turned away back from you.
38:22 And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah's house
shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon's princes, and those women shall
say, Your friends have set you on, and have prevailed against you: your feet
are sunk in the mire, and they are turned away back.
38:23 네 아내들과 자녀는 갈대아인에게로 끌어냄을 입겠고 너는 그들의 손에서
벗어나지 못하고 바벨론 왕의 손에 잡히리라 또 네가 이 성으로 불사름을 입게 하리라
하셨나이다
38:23 And they will take all your wives and your children out to the Chaldaeans: and you
will not get away out of their hands, but will be taken by the hands of the king
of Babylon: and this town will be burned with fire.
38:23 So they shall bring out all your wives and your children to the Chaldeans:
and you shall not escape out of their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of
the king of Babylon: and you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.
38:24 ○ 시드기야가 예레미야에게 이르되 너는 이 말을 사람으로 알게 하지 말라
그리하면 네가 죽지 아니하리라
38:24 Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, Let no man have knowledge of these words, and you
will not be put to death.
38:24 Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and
you shall not die.
38:25 만일 방백들이 내가 너와 말하였다 함을 듣고 와서 네게 말하기를 네가
왕에게 말씀한 것을 우리에게 고하라 우리에게 숨기지 말라 그리하면 우리가 너를
죽이지 아니하리라 또 왕이 네게 말씀한 것을 고하라 하거든
38:25 But if it comes to the ears of the rulers that I have been talking with you, and
they come and say to you, Give us word now of what you have said to the king and
what the king said to you, keeping nothing back and we will not put you to death;
38:25 But if the princes hear that I have talked with you, and they come
unto you, and say unto you, Declare unto us now what you have said unto the
king, hide it not from us, and we will not put you to death; also what the king
said unto you:
38:26 그들에게 대답하되 내가 왕의 앞에 간구하기를 나를 요나단의 집으로 도로
보내지 말아서 거기서 죽지 않게 하옵소서 하였다 하라 하니라
38:26 Then you are to say to them, I made my request to the king, that he would not send
me back to my death in Jonathan's house.
38:26 Then you shall say unto them, I presented my supplication before the
king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.
38:27 모든 방백이 예레미야에게 와서 물으매 그가 왕의 명한 모든 말대로 대답하였으므로
일이 탄로치 아니하였고 그들은 더불어 말하기를 그쳤더라
38:27 Then all the rulers came to Jeremiah, questioning him: and he gave them an answer
in the words the king had given him orders to say. So they said nothing more to
him; for the thing was not made public.
38:27 Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told
them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left
off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
38:28 예레미야가 예루살렘이 함락되는 날까지 시위대 뜰에 머물렀더라
38:28 So Jeremiah was kept in the place of the armed watchmen till the day when Jerusalem
was taken.
38:28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem
was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.
39:1 유다 왕 시드기야의 구 년 시 월에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살과 그 모든 군대가
와서 예루살렘을 에워싸고 치더니
39:1 And it came about, that when Jerusalem was taken, (in the ninth year of Zedekiah,
king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, with all his
army, came against Jerusalem, shutting it in on every side;
39:1 In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they
besieged it.
39:2 시드기야의 제 십 일 년 사 월 구 일에 성이 함락되니라 예루살렘이 함락되매
39:2 In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month,
the town was broken into:)
39:2 And in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth
day of the month, the city was broken up.
39:3 바벨론 왕의 모든 방백이 이르러 중문에 앉으니 곧 네르갈사레셀과 삼갈르보와
환관장 살스김과 박사장 네르갈사레셀과 바벨론 왕의 기타 모든 방백들이었더라
39:3 All the captains of the king of Babylon came in and took their places in the middle
doorway of the town, Nergal-shar-ezer, ruler of Sin-magir, the Rabmag, and Nebushazban,
the Rab-saris, and all the captains of the king of Babylon.
39:3 And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle
gate, even Nergalsharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer,
Rabmag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon.
39:4 ○ 유다 왕 시드기야와 모든 군사가 그들을 보고 도망하되 밤에 왕의 동산
길로
좇아 두 담 샛문을 통하여 성읍을 벗어나서 아라바로 갔더니
39:4 And when Zedekiah, king of Judah, and all the men of war saw it, they went in flight
from the town by night, by the way of the king's garden, through the doorway between
the two walls: and they went out by the Arabah.
39:4 And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them,
and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night,
by the way of the king's garden, by the gate between the two walls: and he went
out the way of the plain.
39:5 갈대아인의 군대가 그들을 따라 여리고 평원에서 시드기야에게 미쳐 그를
잡아서 데리고 하맛 땅 립나에 있는 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게로 올라가매 왕이 그를
심문하였더라
39:5 But the Chaldaean army went after them and overtook Zedekiah in the lowlands of
Jericho: and they made him a prisoner and took him up to Nebuchadrezzar, king of
Babylon, to Riblah in the land of Hamath, to be judged by him.
39:5 But the Chaldeans' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in
the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar
king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon
him.
39:6 바벨론 왕이 립나에서 시드기야의 목전에서 그 아들들을 죽였고 왕이 또
유다의 모든 귀인을 죽였으며
39:6 Then the king of Babylon put the sons of Zedekiah to death before his eyes in Riblah:
and the king of Babylon put to death all the great men of Judah.
39:6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before
his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.
39:7 왕이 또 시드기야의 눈을 빼게 하고 바벨론으로 옮기려 하여 사슬로 결박하였더라
39:7 And more than this, he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and had him put in chains to take
him away to Babylon.
39:7 Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry
him to Babylon.
39:8 갈대아인들이 왕궁과 백성의 집을 불사르며 예루살렘 성벽을 헐었고
39:8 And the Chaldaeans put the king's house on fire, as well as the houses of the people,
and had the walls of Jerusalem broken down.
39:8 And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people,
with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.
39:9 시위대장 느부사라단이 성중에 남아 있는 백성과 자기에게 항복한 자와 그
외의 남은 백성을 바벨론으로 잡아 옮겼으며
39:9 Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, took away to Babylon as prisoners,
all the rest of the workmen who were still in the town, as well as those who had
given themselves up to him, and all the rest of the people.
39:9 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into
Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that
fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained.
39:10 시위대장 느부사라단이 아무 소유가 없는 빈민을 유다 땅에 남겨 두고 그 날에
포도원과 밭을 그들에게 주었더라
39:10 But Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, let the poorest of the people, who
had nothing whatever, go on living in the land of Judah, and gave them vine-gardens
and fields at the same time.
39:10 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people,
which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields
at the same time.
39:11 ○ 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 예레미야에 대하여 시위대장 느부사라단에게
명하여 가로되
39:11 Now Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, gave orders about Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan,
the captain of the armed men, saying,
39:11 Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah
to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,
39:12 그를 데려다가 선대하고 해하지 말며 그가 네게 말하는 대로 행하라
39:12 Take him and keep an eye on him and see that no evil comes to him; but do with him
whatever he says to you.
39:12 Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him
even as he shall say unto you.
39:13 이에 시위대장 느부사라단과 환관장 느부사스반과 박사장 네르갈사레셀과
바벨론 왕의 모든 장관이
39:13 So Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, sent Nebushazban, the Rab-saris, and
Nergal-shar-ezer, the Rabmag, and all the chief captains of the king of Babylon,
39:13 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris,
and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes;
39:14 보내어 예레미야를 시위대 뜰에서 취하여 내어 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들
그다랴에게 붙여서 그를 집으로 데려가게 하매 그가 백성 중에 거하니라
39:14 And they sent and took Jeremiah out of the place of the watchmen, and gave him into
the care of Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him to his
house: so he was living among the people.
39:14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and
committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should
carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.
39:15 ○ 예레미야가 시위대 뜰에 갇혔을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 임하니라
가라사대
39:15 Now the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah while he was shut up in the place of the
armed watchmen, saying,
39:15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in
the court of the prison, saying,
39:16 너는 가서 구스인 에벳멜렉에게 말하기를 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님의
말씀에 내가 이 성에 재앙을 내리고 복을 내리지 아니하리라 한 나의 말이 그 날에
네 목전에 이루리라
39:16 Go and say to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, This is what the Lord of armies, the God
of Israel, has said: See, my words will come true for this town, for evil and not
for good: they will come about before your eyes on that day.
39:16 Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus says the LORD
of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for
evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before you.
39:17 나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 그 날에 너를 구원하리니 네가 그 두려워하는
사람들의 손에 붙이우지 아니하리라
39:17 But I will keep you safe on that day, says the Lord: you will not be given into
the hands of the men you are fearing.
39:17 But I will deliver you in that day, says the LORD: and you shall not
be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.
39:18 내가 단정코 너를 구원할 것인즉 네가 칼에 죽지 아니하고 네 생명이 노략물을
얻음 같이 되리니 이는 네가 나를 신뢰함이니라 여호와의 말이니라
39:18 For I will certainly let you go free, and you will not be put to the sword, but
your life will be given to you out of the hands of your attackers: because you have
put your faith in me, says the Lord.
39:18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword,
but your life shall be for a prey unto you: because you have put your trust
in me, says the LORD.
40:1 시위대장 느부사라단이 예루살렘과 유다 포로를 바벨론으로 옮기는 중에
예레미야도 잡혀 사슬로 결박되어 가다가 라마에서 해방된 후에 말씀이 여호와께로서
예레미야에게 임하니라
40:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of
the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been
put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away
prisoners to Babylon.
40:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan
the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being
bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah,
which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
40:2 시위대장이 예레미야를 불러다가 이르되 네 하나님 여호와께서 이곳에 이
재앙을 선포하시더니
40:2 And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God
gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:
40:2 And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD
your God has pronounced this evil upon this place.
40:3 여호와께서 그 말씀하신 대로 행하셨으니 이는 너희가 여호와께 범죄하고
그 목소리를 청종치 아니하였으므로 이 일이 너희에게 임한 것이니라
40:3 *** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin
against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has
come on you.
40:3 Now the LORD has brought it, and done according as he has said: because
all of you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore
this thing has come upon you.
40:4 보라 내가 오늘 네 손의 사슬을 풀어 너를 해방하노니 만일 네가 나와 함께
바벨론으로 가는 것을 선히 여기거든 오라 내가 너를 선대하리라 만일 나와 함께
바벨론으로 가는 것을 좋지 않게 여기거든 그만 두라 보라 온 땅이 네 앞에 있나니
네가 선히 여기는 대로 가하게 여기는 곳으로 갈지니라
40:4 Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it
seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye
on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do
not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to
go on living in the land,
40:4 And now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains which were upon
yours hand. If it seem good unto you to come with me into Babylon, come; and
I will look well unto you: but if it seem ill unto you to come with me into
Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before you: where it seems good and
convenient for you to go, thither go.
40:5 예레미야가 아직 돌이키기 전에 그가 다시 이르되 너는 바벨론 왕이 유다
성읍들의 총독으로 세우신 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게로 돌아가서 그와
함께 백성 중에 거하거나 너의 가하게 여기는 곳으로 가거나 할지니라 하고 그 시위대장이
그에게 양식과 선물을 주어 보내매
40:5 Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with
him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain
of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.
40:5 Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah
the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor
over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go where ever
it seems convenient unto you to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals
and a reward, and let him go.
40:6 예레미야가 미스바로가서 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게로 나아가서 그 땅에
남아 있는 백성 중에서 그와 함께 거하니라
40:6 So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with
him among the people who were still in the land.
40:6 Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt
with him among the people that were left in the land.
40:7 ○ 들에 있는 군대 장관들과 그들의 사람들이 바벨론 왕이 아히감의 아들
그다랴를 이 땅 총독으로 세우고 남녀와 유아와 바벨론으로 옮기지 아니한 빈민을
그에게 위임하였다 함을 듣고
40:7 Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field,
and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler
in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the
poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;
40:7 Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even
they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son
of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and
children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive
to Babylon;
40:8 그들 곧 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 두 아들 요하난과 요나단과
단후멧의 아들 스라야와 느도바 사람 에배의 아들들과 마아가 사람의 아들 여사냐와
그들의 사람들이 미스바로 가서 그다랴에게 이르니
40:8 Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan,
the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the
Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
40:8 Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah,
and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth,
and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite,
they and their men.
40:9 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 그들과 그들의 사람들에게 맹세하며
가로되 너희는 갈대아인 섬기기를 두려워하지 말고 이 땅에 거하여 바벨론 왕을 섬기라
그리하면 너희에게 유익하리라
40:9 And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their
men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the
land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.
40:9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore unto them and
to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and
serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
40:10 나는 미스바에 거하여 우리에게로 오는 갈대아인을 섬기리니 너희는 포도주와
여름 실과와 기름을 모아 그릇에 저축하고 너희의 얻은 성읍들에 거하라 하니라
40:10 As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans
who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put
them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you
have taken.
40:10 As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans,
which will come unto us: but all of you, gather all of you wine, and summer
fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that
all of you have taken.
40:11 모압과 암몬 자손 중과 에돔과 모든 지방에 있는 유다인도 바벨론 왕이
유다에 사람을 남겨 둔 것과 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 그들의 위에 세웠다
함을 듣고
40:11 In the same way, when all the Jews who were in Moab and among the children of Ammon
and in Edom and in all the countries, had news that the king of Babylon had let
Judah keep some of its people and that he had put over them Gedaliah, the son of
Ahikam, the son of Shaphan;
40:11 Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites,
and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon
had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son
of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
40:12 그 모든 유다인이 쫓겨났던 각처에서 돌아와 유다 땅 미스바 그다랴에게
이르러 포도주와 여름 실과를 심히 많이 모으니라
40:12 Then all the Jews came back from all the places to which they had gone in flight,
and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and got in a great store
of wine and summer fruit.
40:12 Even all the Jews returned out of all places where they were driven,
and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and
summer fruits very much.
40:13 ○ 가레아의 아들 요하난과 들에 있던 군대 장관들이 미스바 그다랴에게
이르러
40:13 Now Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were in
the field, came to Gedaliah in Mizpah,
40:13 Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces
that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
40:14 그에게 이르되 암몬 자손의 왕 바알리스가 네 생명을 취하려 하여 느다냐의
아들 이스마엘을 보낸 줄 네가 아느냐 하되 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 믿지 아니한지라
40:14 And said to him, Has it come to your knowledge that Baalis, the king of the children
of Ammon, has sent Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, to take your life? But Gedaliah,
the son of Ahikam, put no faith in what they said.
40:14 And said unto him, Do you certainly know that Baalis the king of the
Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay you? But Gedaliah the
son of Ahikam believed them not.
40:15 가레아의 아들 요하난이 미스바에서 그다랴에게 비밀히 말하여 가로되 청하노니
나로 가서 사람이 모르게 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 죽이게 하라 어찌하여 그로 네
생명을 취케 하여 네게 모인 모든 유다인으로 흩어지며 유다의 남은 자로 멸망을
당케 하랴
40:15 Then Johanan, the son of Kareah, said to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, Let me now
go and put Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, to death without anyone's knowledge: why
let him take your life so that all the Jews who have come together to you may be
sent in flight, and the rest of the men of Judah come to an end?
40:15 Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly
saying, Let me go, I pray you, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah,
and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay you, that all the Jews which
are gathered unto you should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?
40:16 그러나 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 가레아의 아들 요하난에게 이르되 네가
이 일을 행치 말 것이니라 너의 이스마엘에 대한 말은 진정이 아니니라 하니라
40:16 But Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, said to Johanan, the son of Kareah, You are not
to do this: for what you say about Ishmael is false.
40:16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah,
You shall not do this thing: for you speak falsely of Ishmael.
41:1 칠 월에 왕의 종친 엘리사마의 손자 느다냐의 아들 왕의 장관 이스마엘이
열 사람과 함께 미스바로 가서 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 이르러 미스바에서 함께
떡을 먹다가
41:1 Now it came about in the seventh month that Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son
of Elishama, of the king's seed, having with him ten men, came to Gedaliah, the
son of Ahikam, in Mizpah; and they had a meal together in Mizpah.
41:1 Now it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah
the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and the princes of the king, even ten
men with him, came unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they
did eat bread together in Mizpah.
41:2 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 함께 한 열 사람이 일어나서 바벨론 왕의
그 땅 총독으로 세운 바 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 칼로 쳐죽였고
41:2 Then Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, got up, and
attacking Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, put to
death him whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
41:2 Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with
him, and stroke Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword,
and slew him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.
41:3 이스마엘이 또 미스바에서 그다랴와 함께 한 모든 유다인과 거기 있는 갈대아
군사를 죽였더라
41:3 And Ishmael put to death all the Jews who were with him, even with Gedaliah, at
Mizpah, and the Chaldaean men of war.
41:3 Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedaliah,
at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there, and the men of war.
41:4 ○ 그가 그다랴를 죽인 지 이틀이 되었어도 이를 아는 사람이 없었더라
41:4 Now on the second day after he had put Gedaliah to death, when no one had knowledge
of it,
41:4 And it came to pass the second day after he had slain Gedaliah, and
no man knew it,
41:5 때에 사람 팔십 명이 그 수염을 깎고 옷을 찢고 몸을 상하고 손에 소제물과
유향을 가지고 세겜과 실로와 사마리아에서부터 와서 여호와의 집으로 나아가려 한지라
41:5 Some people came from Shechem, from Shiloh and Samaria, eighty men, with the hair
of their faces cut off and their clothing out of order, and with cuts on their bodies,
and in their hands meal offerings and perfumes which they were taking to the house
of the Lord.
41:5 That there came certain from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria,
even fourscore men, having their beards shaven, and their clothes rent, and
having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them
to the house of the LORD.
41:6 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 영접하러 미스바에서 나와서 울며 행하다가
그들을 만나 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게로 가자 하여
41:6 And Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, went out from Mizpah with the purpose of meeting
them, weeping on his way: and it came about that when he was face to face with them
he said, Come to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam.
41:6 And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them,
weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto
them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.
41:7 그들이 성 중앙에 이를 때에 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 자기와 함께 한 사람들로
더불어 그들을 죽여 구덩이에 던지니라
41:7 And when they came inside the town, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the men who
were with him, put them to death and put their bodies into a deep hole.
41:7 And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah slew them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he,
and the men that were with him.
41:8 그 중에 열 사람은 이스마엘에게 이르기를 우리가 밀과 보리와 기름과 꿀을
밭에 감추었으니 우리를 죽이지 말라 하였으므로 그가 그치고 그들을 그 형제와 함께
죽이지 아니하였더라
41:8 But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, Do not put us to death, for
we have secret stores, in the country, of grain and oil and honey. So he did not
put them to death with their countrymen.
41:8 But ten men were found among them that said unto Ishmael, Slay us not:
for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and
of honey. So he ceased, and slew them not among their brethren.
41:9 이스마엘이 그다랴에게 속한 사람들을 죽이고 그 시체를 던진 구덩이는 아사
왕이 이스라엘 왕 바아사를 두려워하여 팠던 것이라 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그
죽인 시체로 거기 채우고
41:9 Now the hole into which Ishmael had put the dead bodies of the men whom he had put
to death, was the great hole which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha, king
of Israel: and Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, made it full of the bodies of those
who had been put to death.
41:9 Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men,
whom he had slain because of Gedaliah, was it which Asa the king had made for
fear of Baasha king of Israel: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with
them that were slain.
41:10 미스바에 남아 있는 왕의 딸들과 모든 백성 곧 시위대장 느부사라단이 아히감의
아들 그다랴에게 위임하였던 바 미스바에 남아 있는 모든 백성을 사로잡되 곧 느다냐의
아들 이스마엘이 그들을 사로잡고 암몬 자손에게로 가려 하여 떠나니라
41:10 Then Ishmael took away as prisoners all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah,
the king's daughters and all the people still in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan, the captain
of the armed men, had put under the care of Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam: Ishmael,
the son of Nethaniah, took them away prisoners with the purpose of going over to
the children of Ammon.
41:10 Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that
were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters, and all the people that remained
in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah
the son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive,
and departed to go over to the Ammonites.
41:11 ○ 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군대 장관이 느다냐의 아들
이스마엘의 행한 모든 악을 듣고
41:11 But when Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the armed forces who
were with him, had news of all the evil which Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had
done,
41:11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces
that were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah
had done,
41:12 모든 사람을 데리고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 싸우러 가다가 기브온 큰
물 가에서 그를 만나매
41:12 They took their men and went out to make war on Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and
they came face to face with him by the great waters in Gibeon.
41:12 Then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son
of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.
41:13 이스마엘과 함께 있던 모든 백성이 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 한
모든 군대 장관을 보고 기뻐한지라
41:13 Now when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan, the son of Kareah, and
all the captains of the forces with him, then they were glad.
41:13 Now it came to pass, that when all the people which were with Ishmael
saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were
with him, then they were glad.
41:14 이에 미스바에서 이스마엘에게 포로되었던 그 모든 백성이 돌이켜 가레아의
아들 요하난에게로 돌아가니
41:14 And all the people whom Ishmael had taken away prisoners from Mizpah, turning round,
came back and went to Johanan, the son of Kareah.
41:14 So all the people that Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah
cast about and returned, and went unto Johanan the son of Kareah.
41:15 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 여덟 사람과 함께 요하난을 피하여 암몬 자손에게로
가니라
41:15 But Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, got away from Johanan, with eight men, and went
to the children of Ammon.
41:15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men,
and went to the Ammonites.
41:16 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 하는 모든 군대 장관이 느다냐의 아들
이스마엘이 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 죽이고 미스바에서 잡아간 모든 남은 백성 곧
군사와 여인과 유아와 환관을 기브온에서 빼앗아 가지고 돌아와서
41:16 Then Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with
him, took all the rest of the people whom Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had made
prisoners, after he had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the people from
Mizpah, that is, the men of war and the women and the children and the unsexed servants,
whom he had taken back with him from Gibeon:
41:16 Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces
that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah
the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children,
and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon:
41:17 애굽으로 가려 하여 떠나 베들레헴 근처에 있는 게롯김함에 머무렀으니
41:17 And they went and were living in the resting-place of Chimham, which is near Beth-lehem
on the way into Egypt,
41:17 And they departed, and dwelt in the habitation of Chimham, which is
by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt,
41:18 이는 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 바벨론 왕의 그 땅 총독으로 세운 아히감의
아들 그다랴를 죽였으므로 그들이 갈대아인을 두려워함이었더라
41:18 Because of the Chaldaeans: for they were in fear of them because Ishmael, the son
of Nethaniah, had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon
had made ruler over the land.
41:18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of
Babylon made governor in the land.
42:1 이에 모든 군대의 장관과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 호사야의 아들 여사냐와
백성의 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 나아와
42:1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah,
the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest, came near,
42:1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah,
and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto
the greatest, came near,
42:2 선지자 예레미야에게 이르되 당신은 우리의 간구를 들으시고 이 남아 있는
모든 자를 위하여 당신의 하나님 여호와께 기도하소서 당신이 목도하시거니와 우리는
많은 중에서 조금만 남았사오니
42:2 And said to Jeremiah the prophet, Let our request come before you, and make prayer
for us to the Lord your God, even for this small band of us; for we are only a small
band out of what was a great number, as your eyes may see:
42:2 And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we plead to you, our supplication
be accepted before you, and pray for us unto the LORD your God, even for all
this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as yours eyes do behold us:)
42:3 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 우리의 마땅히 갈 길과 할 일을 보이시기를 원하나이다
42:3 That the Lord your God may make clear to us the way in which we are to go and what
we are to do.
42:3 That the LORD your God may show us the way wherein we may walk, and
the thing that we may do.
42:4 선지자 예레미야가 그들에게 이르되 내가 너희 말을 들었은즉 너희 말대로
너희 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 무릇 여호와께서 너희에게 응답하시는 것을 숨김이
없이 너희에게 고하리라
42:4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, I have given ear to you; see, I will make
prayer to the Lord your God, as you have said; and it will be that, whatever the
Lord may say in answer to you, I will give you word of it, keeping nothing back.
42:4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold,
I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come
to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it
unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
42:5 그들이 예레미야에게 이르되 우리가 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 당신을 보내사
우리에게 이르시는 모든 말씀대로 행하리이다 여호와는 우리 중에 진실무망한 증인이
되시옵소서
42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, May the Lord be a true witness against us in good faith,
if we do not do everything which the Lord your God sends you to say to us.
42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness
between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD
your God shall send you to us.
42:6 우리가 당신을 우리 하나님 여호와께 보냄은 그의 목소리가 우리에게 좋고
좋지 아니함을 물론하고 청종하려 함이라 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 청종하면
우리에게 복이 있으리이다
42:6 If it is good or if it is evil, we will be guided by the voice of the Lord our God,
to whom we are sending you; so that it may be well for us when we give ear to the
voice of the Lord our God.
42:6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of
the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we
obey the voice of the LORD our God.
42:7 ○ 십 일 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니
42:7 And it came about that after ten days the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah.
42:7 And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto
Jeremiah.
42:8 그가 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군대 장관과 백성의 작은
자로부터 큰 자까지 다 부르고
42:8 And he sent for Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who
were still with him, and all the people, from the least to the greatest,
42:8 Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the
forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,
42:9 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나를 보내어 너희의 간구를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께
드리게 하지 아니하였느냐 그가 가라사대
42:9 And said to them, These are the words of the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you
sent me to put your request before him:
42:9 And said unto them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom
all of you sent me to present your supplication before him;
42:10 너희가 이 땅에 여전히 거하면 내가 너희를 세우고 헐지 아니하며 너희를
심고 뽑지 아니하리니 이는 내가 너희에게 내린 재앙에 대하여 뜻을 돌이킴이니라
42:10 If you still go on living in the land, then I will go on building you up and not
pulling you down, planting you and not uprooting you: for my purpose of doing evil
to you has been changed.
42:10 If all of you will still abide in this land, then will I build you,
and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent
me of the evil that I have done unto you.
42:11 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 그 두려워하는 바벨론 왕을 두려워 말라 내가
너희와 함께 하여 너희를 구원하며 그의 손에서 너희를 건지리니 두려워 말라
42:11 Have no fear of the king of Babylon, of whom you are now in fear; have no fear of
him, says the Lord: for I am with you to keep you safe and to give you salvation
from his hands.
42:11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom all of you are afraid;
be not afraid of him, says the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver
you from his hand.
42:12 내가 너희를 긍휼히 여기리니 그로도 너희를 긍휼히 여기게 하여 너희를
너희 본향으로 돌려보내게 하리라 하셨느니라
42:12 And I will have mercy on you, so that he may have mercy on you and let you go back
to your land.
42:12 And I will show mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you,
and cause you to return to your own land.
42:13 그러나 만일 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 순복지 아니하고 말하기를
우리는 이 땅에 거하지 아니하리라 하며
42:13 But if you say, We have no desire to go on living in this land; and do not give
ear to the voice of the Lord your God,
42:13 But if all of you say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey
the voice of the LORD your God,
42:14 또 말하기를 우리는 전쟁도 보이지 아니하며 나팔 소리도 들리지 아니하며
식물의 핍절도 당치 아니하는 애굽 땅으로 결단코 들어가 거하리라 하면 잘 못되리라
42:14 Saying, No, but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we will not see war, or
be hearing the sound of the horn, or be in need of food; there we will make our
living-place;
42:14 Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see
no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there
will we dwell:
42:15 너희 유다의 남은 자여 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의
하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 만일 애굽에 들어가서 거기 거하기로 고집하면
42:15 Then give ear now to the word of the Lord, O you last of Judah: the Lord of armies,
the God of Israel, has said, If your minds are fixed on going into Egypt and stopping
there;
42:15 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, all of you remnant of
Judah; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If all of you wholly
set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
42:16 너희의 두려워하는 칼이 애굽 땅으로 따라가서 너희에게 미칠 것이요 너희의
두려워하는 기근이 애굽으로 급히 따라가서 너희에게 임하리니 너희가 거기서 죽을
것이라
42:16 Then it will come about that the sword, which is the cause of your fear, will overtake
you there in the land of Egypt, and need of food, which you are fearing, will go
after you there in Egypt; and there death will come to you.
42:16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which all of you feared,
shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof all of
you were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there all
of you shall die.
42:17 무릇 애굽으로 들어가서 거기 우거하기로 고집하는 모든 사람은 이같이
되리니 곧 칼과 기근과 염병에 죽을 것인즉 내가 그들에게 내리는 재앙을 벗어나서
남을 자 없으리라
42:17 Such will be the fate of all the men whose minds are fixed on going into Egypt and
stopping there; they will come to their end by the sword, by being short of food,
and by disease: not one of them will keep his life or get away from the evil which
I will send on them.
42:17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt
to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon
them.
42:18 ○ 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되 나의 노와 분을
예루살렘 거민에게 부은 것 같이 너희가 애굽에 이른 때에 나의 분을 너희에게 부으리니
너희가 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 치욕거리가 될 것이라 너희가 다시는 이 땅을 보지
못하리라 하시도다
42:18 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: As my wrath and
passion have been let loose on the people of Jerusalem, so will my passion be let
loose on you when you go into Egypt: and you will become an oath and a cause of
wonder and a curse and a name of shame; and you will never see this place again.
42:18 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and
my fury has been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my
fury be poured forth upon you, when all of you shall enter into Egypt: and all
of you shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach;
and all of you shall see this place no more.
42:19 유다의 남은 자들아 여호와께서 너희 일로 하신 말씀에 너희는 애굽으로
가지 말라 하셨고 나도 오늘날 너희에게 경계한 것을 너희는 분명히 알라
42:19 The Lord has said about you, O last of Judah, Go not into Egypt: be certain that
I have given witness to you this day.
42:19 The LORD has said concerning you, O all of you remnant of Judah; Go
all of you not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.
42:20 너희가 나를 너희 하나님 여호와께 보내며 이르기를 우리를 위하여 우리
하나님 여호와께 기도하고 우리 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 우리에게 고하라
우리가 이를 행하리라 하여 너희 마음을 속였느니라
42:20 For you have been acting with deceit in your hearts; for you sent me to the Lord
your God, saying, Make prayer for us to the Lord our God, and give us word of everything
he may say, and we will do it.
42:20 For all of you dissembled in your hearts, when all of you sent me unto
the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according
unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do
it.
42:21 너희 하나님 여호와께서 나를 보내사 너희에게 명하신 말씀을 내가 오늘날
너희에게 고하였어도 너희가 그 목소리를 도무지 순종치 아니하였은즉
42:21 And this day I have made it clear to you, and you have not given ear to the voice
of the Lord your God in anything for which he has sent me to you.
42:21 And now I have this day declared it to you; but all of you have not
obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he has sent
me unto you.
42:22 너희가 가서 우거하려 하는 곳에서 칼과 기근과 염병에 죽을 줄 분명히 알지니라
42:22 And now be certain that you will come to your end by the sword and by being short
of food and by disease, in the place to which you are pleased to go for a living-place.
42:22 Now therefore know certainly that all of you shall die by the sword,
by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place where all of you desire to
go and to sojourn.
43:1 예레미야가 모든 백성에게 그들의 하나님 여호와의 말씀 곧 그들의 하나님
여호와께서 자기를 보내사 그들에게 이르게 하신 이 모든 말씀을 다 말하매
43:1 And it came about that when Jeremiah had come to the end of giving all the people
the words of the Lord their God, which the Lord their God had sent him to say to
them, even all these words,
43:1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking
unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD
their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
43:2 호사야의 아들 아사랴와 가레아의 아들 요하난과 및 모든 교만한 자가 예레미야에게
말하여 가로되 네가 거짓을 말하는도다 우리 하나님 여호와께서는 너희는 애굽에
거하려고 그리로 가지 말라고 너를 보내어 말하게 하지 아니하셨느니라
43:2 Then Azariah, the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the men
of pride, said to Jeremiah, You have said what is false: the Lord our God has not
sent you to say, You are not to go into the land of Egypt and make your living-place
there:
43:2 Then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah,
and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, You speak falsely: the LORD our
God has not sent you to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
43:3 이는 네리야의 아들 바룩이 너를 꼬드겨서 우리를 대적하여 갈대아인의 손에
붙여 죽이며 바벨론으로 잡아가게 하려 함이니라 하고
43:3 But Baruch, the son of Neriah, is moving you against us, to give us up into the
hands of the Chaldaeans so that they may put us to death, and take us away prisoners
into Babylon.
43:3 But Baruch the son of Neriah sets you on against us, in order to deliver
us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry
us away captives into Babylon.
43:4 이에 가레아의 아들 요하난과 모든 군대 장관과 모든 백성이 유다 땅에 거하라
하시는 여호와의 목소리를 청종치 아니하고
43:4 So Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people,
did not give ear to the order of the Lord that they were to go on living in the
land of Judah.
43:4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and
all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
43:5 가레아의 아들 요하난과 모든 군대 장관이 유다의 남은 자 곧 쫓겨났던 열방
중에서 유다 땅에 거하려 하여 돌아온 자
43:5 But Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces took all the
rest of Judah who had come back into the land of Judah from all the nations where
they had been forced to go;
43:5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took
all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, where they had
been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
43:6 곧 남자와 여자와 유아와 왕의 딸들과 시위대장 느부사라단이 사반의 손자
아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 넘겨 둔 모든 사람과 선지자 예레미야와 네리야의 아들
바룩을 영솔하고
43:6 The men and the women and the children and the king's daughters, and every person
whom Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had put under the care of Gedaliah,
the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch, the
son of Neriah;
43:6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every
person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the
son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son
of Neriah.
43:7 애굽 땅에 들어가 다바네스에 이르렀으니 그들이 여호와의 목소리를 청종치
아니함이 이러하였더라
43:7 And they came into the land of Egypt; for they did not give ear to the voice of
the Lord: and they came to Tahpanhes.
43:7 So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of
the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
43:8 ○ 다바네스에서 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 가라사대
43:8 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
43:8 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
43:9 너는 유다 사람의 목전에서 네 손으로 큰 돌들을 가져다가 다바네스 바로의
집 어귀의 벽돌 깔린 곳에 진흙으로 감추고
43:9 Take in your hand some great stones, and put them in a safe place in the paste in
the brickwork which is at the way into Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, before the
eyes of the men of Judah;
43:9 Take great stones in yours hand, and hide them in the clay in the brick-kiln,
which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men
of Judah;
43:10 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되
보라 내가 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 불러오리니 그가 그 보좌를 내가 감추게
한
이 돌 위에 두고 또 그 화려한 장막을 그 위에 치리라
43:10 And say to them, This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: See,
I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and he will
put the seat of his kingdom on these stones which have been put in a safe place
here by you; and his tent will be stretched over them.
43:10 And say unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant,
and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread
his royal pavilion over them.
43:11 그가 와서 애굽 땅을 치고 죽일 자는 죽이고 사로잡을 자는 사로잡고 칼로
칠 자는 칼로 칠 것이라
43:11 And he will come and overcome the land of Egypt; those who are for death will be
put to death, those who are to be prisoners will be made prisoners, and those who
are for the sword will be given to the sword.
43:11 And when he comes, he shall strike the land of Egypt, and deliver such
as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such
as are for the sword to the sword.
43:12 내가 애굽 신들의 집에 불을 놓을 것인즉 느부갓네살이 그들을 불사르며
그들을 사로잡을 것이요 목자가 그 몸에 옷을 두름 같이 애굽 땅을 자기 몸에 두르고
평안히 그 곳을 떠날 것이며
43:12 And he will put a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and they will be burned
by him: and he will make Egypt clean as a keeper of sheep makes clean his clothing;
and he will go out from there in peace.
43:12 And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he
shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with
the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth
from thence in peace.
43:13 그가 또 애굽 땅 벧세메스의 주상들을 깨뜨리고 애굽 신들의 집을 불사르리라
하셨다 할지니라
43:13 And the stone pillars of Beth-shemesh in the land of Egypt will be broken by him,
and the houses of the gods of Egypt burned with fire.
43:13 He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land
of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
44:1 애굽 땅에 거하는 모든 유다인 곧 믹돌과 다바네스와 놉과 바드로스 지방에
거하는 자에 대하여 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 가라사대
44:1 The word which came to Jeremiah about all the Jews who were living in the land of
Egypt, in Migdol and at Tahpanhes and at Noph and in the country of Pathros, saying,
44:1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in
the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and
in the country of Pathros, saying,
44:2 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘과
유다 모든 성읍에 내린 나의 모든 재앙을 보았느니라 보라 오늘날 그것들이 황무지가
되었고 거하는 사람이 없나니
44:2 The Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: You have seen all the evil which
I have sent on Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah; and now, this day they are
waste and unpeopled;
44:2 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; All of you have seen
all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of
Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwells therein,
44:3 이는 그들이 자기나 너희나 너희 열조의 알지 못하는 다른 신들에게 나아가
분향하여 섬겨서 나의 노를 격동한 악행을 인함이라
44:3 Because of the evil which they have done, moving me to wrath by burning perfumes
in worship to other gods, who were not their gods or yours or the gods of their
fathers.
44:3 Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me
to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they
knew not, neither they, all of you, nor your fathers.
44:4 내가 나의 모든 종 선지자들을 그들에게 보내되 부지런히 보내어 이르기를
너희는 나의 미워하는 이 가증한 일을 행치 말라 하였어도
44:4 And I sent all my servants the prophets to you, getting up early and sending them,
saying, Do not do this disgusting thing which is hated by me.
44:4 Nevertheless I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early
and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
44:5 그들이 듣지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 다른 신들에게 여전히 분향하여
그 악에서 돌이키지 아니하였으므로
44:5 But they gave no attention, and their ears were not open so that they might be turned
from their evil-doing and from burning perfume to other gods.
44:5 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness,
to burn no incense unto other gods.
44:6 나의 분과 나의 노를 쏟아서 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리를 살랐더니 그것들이
오늘과 같이 황폐하고 적막하였느니라
44:6 Because of this, my passion and my wrath were let loose, burning in the towns of
Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are waste and unpeopled as at this
day.
44:6 Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in
the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and
desolate, as at this day.
44:7 나 만군의 하나님 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희가 어찌하여
큰 악을 행하여 자기 영혼을 해하며 유다 중에서 너희의 남자와 여자와 아이와 젖
먹는
자를 멸절하여 하나도 남기지 않게 하려느냐
44:7 So now, the Lord, the God of armies, the God of Israel, has said, Why are you doing
this great evil against yourselves, causing every man and woman, little child and
baby at the breast among you in Judah to be cut off till not one is still living;
44:7 Therefore now thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel;
Wherefore commit all of you this great evil against your souls, to cut off from
you man and woman, child and nursing infant, out of Judah, to leave you none
to remain;
44:8 어찌하여 너희가 너희 손의 소위로 나의 노를 격동하여 너희의 가서 우거하는
애굽 땅에서 다른 신들에게 분향함으로 끊어 버림을 당하여 세계 열방 중에서 저주와
모욕거리가 되고자 하느냐
44:8 Moving me to wrath with the work of your hands, burning perfumes to other gods in
the land of Egypt, where you have gone to make a place for yourselves, so that you
may become a curse and a name of shame among all the nations of the earth?
44:8 In that all of you provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands,
burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, where all of you be gone
to dwell, that all of you might cut yourselves off, and that all of you might
be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
44:9 너희가 유다 땅과 예루살렘 거리에서 행한 너희 열조의 악과 유다 왕들의
악과 왕비들의 악과 너희의 악과 너희 아내들의 악을 잊었느냐
44:9 Have you no memory of the evil-doing of your fathers, and the evil-doing of the
kings of Judah, and the evil-doing of their wives, and the evil which you yourselves
have done, and the evil which your wives have done, in the land of Judah and in
the streets of Jerusalem?
44:9 Have all of you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness
of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness,
and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah,
and in the streets of Jerusalem?
44:10 그들이 오늘까지 겸비치 아니하며 두려워하지도 아니하고 내가 너희와 너희
열조 앞에 세운 나의 법과 나의 율례를 준행치 아니하느니라
44:10 Even to this day their hearts are not broken, and they have no fear, and have not
gone in the way of my law or of my rules which I gave to you and to your fathers.
44:10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared,
nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your
fathers.
44:11 ○ 그러므로 나 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 보라
내가 얼굴을 너희에게로 향하여 재앙을 내리고 온 유다를 끊어 버릴 것이며
44:11 So this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: See, my face will
be turned against you for evil, for the cutting off of all Judah;
44:11 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I
will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.
44:12 내가 또 애굽 땅에 우거하기로 고집하고 그리로 들어간 유다의 남은 자들을
취하리니 그들이 다 멸망하여 애굽 땅에서 엎드러질 것이라 그들이 칼과 기근에 망하되
작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 칼과 기근에 죽어서 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 모욕거리가
되리라
44:12 And I will take the last of Judah, whose minds are fixed on going into the land
of Egypt and stopping there, and they will all come to their end, falling in the
land of Egypt by the sword and by being short of food and by disease; death will
overtake them, from the least to the greatest, death by the sword and by need of
food: they will become an oath and a cause of wonder and a curse and a name of shame.
44:12 And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to
go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed,
and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and
by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the
sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment,
and a curse, and a reproach.
44:13 내가 예루살렘을 벌한 것 같이 애굽 땅에 거하는 자들을 칼과 기근과 염병으로
벌하리니
44:13 For I will send punishment on those who are living in the land of Egypt, as I have
sent punishment on Jerusalem, by the sword and by need of food and by disease:
44:13 For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished
Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
44:14 애굽 땅에 들어가서 거기 우거하는 유다의 남은 자 중에 피하거나 남아서
그 사모하여 돌아와서 거하려는 유다 땅에 돌아올 자가 없을 것이라 도피하는 자들
외에는 돌아올 자가 없으리라 하셨느니라
44:14 So that not one of the rest of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt and are
living there, will get away or keep his life, to come back to the land of Judah
where they are hoping to come back and be living again: for not one will come back,
but only those who are able to get away.
44:14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land
of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into
the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there:
for none shall return but such as shall escape.
44:15 ○ 때에 자기 아내들이 다른 신들에게 분향하는 줄을 아는 모든 남자와
곁에 섰던 모든 여인 곧 애굽 땅 바드로스에 거하는 모든 백성의 큰 무리가 예레미야에게
대답하여 가로되
44:15 Then all the men who had knowledge that their wives were burning perfumes to other
gods, and all the women who were present, a great meeting, answering Jeremiah, said,
44:15 Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto
other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the
people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
44:16 네가 여호와의 이름으로 우리에게 하는 말을 우리가 듣지 아니하고
44:16 As for the word which you have said to us in the name of the Lord, we will not give
ear to you.
44:16 As for the word that you have spoken unto us in the name of the LORD,
we will not hearken unto you.
44:17 우리 입에서 낸 모든 말을 정녕히 실행하여 우리의 본래 하던 것 곧 우리와
우리 선조와 우리 왕들과 우리 방백들이 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리에서 하던 대로
하늘 여신에게 분향하고 그 앞에 전제를 드리리라 대저 그 때에는 우리가 식물이 풍부하며
복을 받고 재앙을 만나지 아니하였더니
44:17 But we will certainly do every word which has gone out of our mouths, burning perfumes
to the queen of heaven and draining out drink offerings to her as we did, we and
our fathers and our kings and our rulers, in the towns of Judah and in the streets
of Jerusalem: for then we had food enough and did well and saw no evil.
44:17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goes forth out of our own
mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings
unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes,
in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty
of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
44:18 우리가 하늘 여신에게 분향하고 그 앞에 전제 드리던 것을 폐한 후부터는
모든 것이 핍절하고 칼과 기근에 멸망을 당하였느니라 하며
44:18 But from the time when we gave up burning perfumes to the queen of heaven and draining
out drink offerings to her, we have been in need of all things, and have been wasted
by the sword and by need of food.
44:18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to
pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been
consumed by the sword and by the famine.
44:19 여인들은 가로되 우리가 하늘 여신에게 분향하고 그 앞에 전제를 드릴 때에
어찌 우리 남편의 허락이 없이 그에게 경배하는 과자를 만들어 놓고 전제를 드렸느냐
44:19 And the women said, When we were burning perfumes to the queen of heaven and draining
out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes in her image and give her our drink
offerings without the knowledge of our husbands?
44:19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink
offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink
offerings unto her, without our men?
44:20 ○ 예레미야가 남녀 모든 무리 곧 이 말로 대답하는 모든 백성에게 일러
가로되
44:20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men and women and all the people who
had given him that answer,
44:20 Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women,
and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
44:21 너희가 너희 선조와 너희 왕들과 방백들과 유다 땅 백성이 유다 성읍들과
예루살렘 거리들에서 분향한 일을 여호와께서 기억지 아니하셨느냐 생각지 아니하셨느냐
44:21 The perfumes which you have been burning in the towns of Judah and in the streets
of Jerusalem, you and your fathers and your kings and your rulers and the people
of the land, had the Lord no memory of them, and did he not keep them in mind?
44:21 The incense that all of you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the
streets of Jerusalem, all of you, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes,
and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not
into his mind?
44:22 여호와께서 너희 악행과 가증한 소위를 더 참으실 수 없으셨으므로 너희
땅이 오늘과 같이 황무하며 놀램과 저주거리가 되어 거민이 없게 되었나니
44:22 And the Lord was no longer able to put up with the evil of your doings and the disgusting
things you did; and because of this your land has become a waste and a cause of
wonder and a curse, with no one living in it, as at this day.
44:22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your
doings, and because of the abominations which all of you have committed; therefore
is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant,
as at this day.
44:23 너희가 분향하여 여호와께 범죄하였으며 여호와의 목소리를 청종치 아니하고
여호와의 법과 율례와 증거대로 행치 아니하였으므로 이 재앙이 오늘과 같이 너희에게
미쳤느니라
44:23 Because you have been burning perfumes, and sinning against the Lord, and have not
given ear to the voice of the Lord, or gone in the way of his law or his rules or
his orders; for this reason this evil has come on you, as it is today.
44:23 Because all of you have burned incense, and because all of you have
sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked
in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil
is happened unto you, as at this day.
44:24 ○ 예레미야가 다시 모든 백성과 모든 여인에게 말하되 애굽 땅에서 사는
모든 유다여 여호와의 말씀을 들으라
44:24 Further, Jeremiah said to all the people and all the women, Give ear to the word
of the Lord, all those of Judah who are living in Egypt:
44:24 Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear
the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:
44:25 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되 너희와 너희 아내들이
입으로 말하고 손으로 이루려 하여 이르기를 우리가 서원한 대로 반드시 이행하여
하늘 여신에게 분향하고 전제를 드리리라 하였은즉 너희 서원을 성립하며 너희 서원을
이행하라 하시느니라
44:25 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: You women have said
with your mouths, and with your hands you have done what you said, We will certainly
give effect to the oaths we have made, to have perfumes burned to the queen of heaven
and drink offerings drained out to her: then give effect to your oaths and do them.
44:25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; All of you
and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand,
saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense
to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: all of you
will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
44:26 그러므로 애굽 땅에서 사는 모든 유다여 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 여호와께서
말씀하시되 내가 나의 큰 이름으로 맹세하였은즉 애굽 온 땅에 거하는 유다 사람들의
입에서 다시는 내 이름을 일컬어서 주 여호와의 사심으로 맹세하노라 하는 자가 없게
되리라
44:26 And now give ear to the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who are living in the
land of Egypt: Truly, I have taken an oath by my great name, says the Lord, that
my name is no longer to be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land
of Egypt, saying, By the life of the Lord God.
44:26 Therefore hear all of you the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell
in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the LORD,
that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all
the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD lives.
44:27 보라 내가 경성하여 그들에게 재앙을 내리고 복을 내리지 아니하리니 애굽
땅에 있는 유다 모든 사람이 칼과 기근에 망하여 멸절되리라
44:27 See, I am watching over them for evil and not for good: all the men of Judah who
are in the land of Egypt will be wasted by the sword and by need of food till there
is an end of them.
44:27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all
the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword
and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
44:28 그런즉 칼을 피한 소수의 사람이 애굽 땅에서 나와 유다 땅으로 돌아오리니
애굽 땅에 들어가서 거기 우거하는 유다의 모든 남은 자가 내 말이 성립되었는지,
자기들의 말이 성립되었는지 알리라
44:28 And those who get away safe from the sword will come back from the land of Egypt
to the land of Judah, a very small number; and all the rest of Judah, who have gone
into the land of Egypt and are living there, will see whose word has effect, mine
or theirs.
44:28 Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land
of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone
into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand,
mine, or their's.
44:29 나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 이곳에서 너희를 벌할 표징이 이것이라 내가
너희에게 재앙을 내리리라 한 말이 단정코 성립될 것을 그것으로 알게 하리라
44:29 And this will be the sign to you, says the Lord, that I will give you punishment
in this place, so that you may see that my words will certainly have effect against
you for evil:
44:29 And this shall be a sign unto you, says the LORD, that I will punish
you in this place, that all of you may know that my words shall surely stand
against you for evil:
44:30 보라 내가 유다 왕 시드기야를 그 원수 곧 그 생명을 찾는 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의
손에 붙인 것 같이 애굽 왕 바로 호브라를 그 원수들 곧 그 생명을 찾는 자들의 손에
붙이리라 나 여호와가 이같이 말하였느니라 하시니라
44:30 The Lord has said, See, I will give up Pharaoh Hophra, king of Egypt, into the hands
of those who are fighting against him and desiring to take his life, as I gave Zedekiah,
king of Judah, into the hands of Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, his hater, who
had designs against his life.
44:30 Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt
into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life;
as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon,
his enemy, and that sought his life.
