10:1 르호보암이 세겜으로 갔으니 이는 온 이스라엘이 저로 왕을 삼고자 하여
세겜에 이르렀음이더라
10:1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem, where all Israel had come together to make him king.
10:1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem: in order to Shechem were all Israel come
to make him king.
10:2 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 전에 솔로몬 왕의 얼굴을 피하여 애굽으로 도망하여
있었더니 이 일을 듣고 애굽에서부터 돌아오매
10:2 And when Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, had news of it, (for he was in Egypt where
he had gone in flight from King Solomon,) he came back from Egypt.
10:2 And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was in Egypt,
where he fled from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jeroboam
returned out of Egypt.
10:3 무리가 보내어 저를 불렀더라 여로보암과 온 이스라엘이 와서 르호보암에게
고하여 가로되
10:3 And they sent for him; and Jeroboam and all Israel came to Rehoboam and said,
10:3 And they sent and called him. So Jeroboam and all Israel came and spoke
to Rehoboam, saying,
10:4 왕의 부친이 우리의 멍에를 무겁게 하였으나 왕은 이제 왕의 부친이 우리에게
시킨 고역과 메운 무거운 멍에를 가볍게 하소서 그리하시면 우리가 왕을 섬기겠나이다
10:4 Your father put a hard yoke on us: if you will make the conditions under which your
father kept us down less cruel, and the weight of the yoke he put on us less hard,
then we will be your servants.
10:4 Your father made our yoke grievous: now therefore ease you somewhat
the grievous servitude of your father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us,
and we will serve you.
10:5 르호보암이 대답하되 삼 일 후에 다시 내게로 오라 하매 백성이 가니라
10:5 And he said to them, Come to me again after three days. So the people went away.
10:5 And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the
people departed.
10:6 르호보암 왕이 그 부친 솔로몬의 생전에 그 앞에 모셨던 노인들과 의논하여
가로되 너희는 어떻게 교도하여 이 백성에게 대답하게 하겠느뇨
10:6 Then King Rehoboam took the opinion of the old men who had been with Solomon his
father when he was living, and said, In your opinion, what answer am I to give to
this people?
10:6 And king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before
Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give all of you
me to return answer to this people?
10:7 대답하여 가로되 왕이 만일 이 백성을 후대하여 기쁘게 하고 선한 말을 하시면
저희가 영영히 왕의 종이 되리이다 하나
10:7 And they said to him, If you are kind to this people, pleasing them and saying good
words to them, then they will be your servants for ever.
10:7 And they spoke unto him, saying, If you be kind to this people, and
please them, and speak good words to them, they will be your servants for ever.
10:8 왕이 노인의 교도하는 것을 버리고 그 앞에 모셔 있는 자기와 함께 자라난
소년들과 의논하여
10:8 But he gave no attention to the opinion of the old men, but went to the young men
of his generation who were waiting before him.
10:8 But he forsook the counsel which the old men gave him, and took counsel
with the young men that were brought up with him, that stood before him.
10:9 가로되 너희는 어떻게 교도하여 이 백성에게 대답하게 하겠느뇨 백성이 내게
말하기를 왕의 부친이 우리에게 메운 멍에를 가볍게 하라 하였느니라
10:9 And he said to them, What is your opinion? What answer are we to give to this people
who have said to me, Make less the weight of the yoke which your father put on us?
10:9 And he said unto them, What advice give all of you that we may return
answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke
that your father did put upon us?
10:10 함께 자라난 소년들이 왕께 고하여 가로되 이 백성들이 왕께 고하기를 왕의
부친이 우리의 멍에를 무겁게 하였으나 왕은 우리를 위하여 가볍게 하라 하였은즉
왕은 대답하시기를 나의 새끼 손가락이 내 부친의 허리보다 굵으니
10:10 And the young men of his generation said to him, This is the answer to give to the
people who came to you saying, Your father put a hard yoke on us, but will you make
it less; say to them, My little finger is thicker than my father's body;
10:10 And the young men that were brought up with him spoke unto him, saying,
Thus shall you answer the people that spoke unto you, saying, Your father made
our yoke heavy, but make you it somewhat lighter for us; thus shall you say
unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.
10:11 내 부친이 너희로 무거운 멍에를 메게 하였으나 이제 나는 너희의 멍에를
더욱 무겁게 할지라 내 부친은 채찍으로 너희를 징치하였으나 나는 전갈로 하리라
하소서
10:11 If my father put a hard yoke on you, I will make it harder: my father gave you punishment
with whips, but I will give you blows with snakes.
10:11 For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to
your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with
scorpions.
10:12 ○ 삼 일 만에 여로보암과 모든 백성이 르호보암에게 나아왔으니 이는 왕이
명하여 이르기를 삼 일 만에 내게로 다시 오라 하였음이라
10:12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king had
given orders, saying, Come to me again on the third day.
10:12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as
the king bade, saying, Come again to me on the third day.
10:13 왕이 포학한 말로 대답할새 노인의 교도를 버리고
10:13 And the king gave them a rough answer. So King Rehoboam gave no attention to the
suggestion of the old men,
10:13 And the king answered them roughly; and king Rehoboam forsook the counsel
of the old men,
10:14 소년의 가르침을 좇아 저희에게 고하여 가로되 내 부친은 너희의 멍에를
무겁게 하였으나 나는 더할지라 내 부친은 채찍으로 너희를 징치하였으나 나는 전갈로
하리라 하니라
10:14 But gave them the answer put forward by the young men, saying, My father made your
yoke hard, but I will make it harder; my father gave you punishment with whips,
but I will give it with snakes.
10:14 And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father
made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips,
but I will chastise you with scorpions.
10:15 왕이 이같이 백성의 말을 듣지 아니하였으니 이 일은 하나님께로 말미암아
난 것이라 여호와께서 전에 실로 사람 아히야로 느밧의 아들 여로보암에게 고한 말씀을
응하게 하심이더라
10:15 So the king did not give ear to the people; for this came about by the purpose of
God, so that the Lord might give effect to his word which he had said by Ahijah
the Shilonite to Jeroboam, the son of Nebat.
10:15 So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God,
that the LORD might perform his word, which he spoke by the hand of Ahijah the
Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
10:16 ○ 온 이스라엘이 자기들의 말을 왕이 듣지 아니함을 보고 왕에게 대답하여
가로되 우리가 다윗과 무슨 관계가 있느뇨 이새의 아들에게서 업이 없도다 이스라엘아
각각 너희 장막으로 돌아가라 다윗이여 이제 너는 네 집이나 돌아보라 하고 온 이스라엘이
그 장막으로 돌아가니라
10:16 And when all Israel saw that the king would give no attention to them, the people
in answer said to the king, What part have we in David? what is our heritage in
the son of Jesse? every man to your tents, O Israel; now see to your house, David.
So all Israel went to their tents.
10:16 And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them,
the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we
have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel:
and now, David, see to yours own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
10:17 그러나 유다 성읍들에 사는 이스라엘 자손에게는 르호보암이 그 왕이 되었더라
10:17 But Rehoboam was still king over those of the children of Israel who were living
in the towns of Judah.
10:17 But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah,
Rehoboam reigned over them.
10:18 르호보암 왕이 역군의 감독 하도람을 보내었더니 이스라엘 자손이 저를
돌로 쳐죽인지라 르호보암 왕이 급히 수레에 올라 예루살렘으로 도망하였더라
10:18 Then Rehoboam sent Adoniram, the overseer of the forced work; and he was stoned
to death by all Israel. And King Rehoboam went quickly and got into his carriage
to go in flight to Jerusalem.
10:18 Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the
children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made
speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
10:19 이에 이스라엘이 다윗의 집을 배반하여 오늘날까지 이르니라
10:19 So Israel was turned away from the family of David to this day.
10:19 And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.
11:1 르호보암이 예루살렘에 이르러 유다와 베냐민 족속을 모으니 택한 용사가
십팔만이라 이스라엘과 싸워 나라를 회복하여 르호보암에게 돌리려 하더니
11:1 And Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, and got together the men of Judah and Benjamin,
a hundred and eighty thousand of his best fighting-men, to make war against Israel
and get the kingdom back for Rehoboam.
11:1 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of
Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were
warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to
Rehoboam.
11:2 여호와의 말씀이 하나님의 사람 스마야에게 임하여 가라사대
11:2 But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, the man of God, saying,
11:2 But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
11:3 솔로몬의 아들 유다 왕 르호보암과 유다와 베냐민의 이스라엘 무리에게 고하여
이르기를
11:3 Say to Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and
Benjamin,
11:3 Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel
in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
11:4 여호와의 말씀이 너희는 올라가지 말라 너희 형제와 싸우지 말고 각기 집으로
돌아가라 이 일이 내게로 말미암아 난 것이라 하셨다 하라 하신지라 저희가 여호와의
말씀을 듣고 돌아가고 여로보암을 치러 가지 아니하였더라
11:4 The Lord has said, You are not to go to war against your brothers: let every man
go back to his house, for this thing is my purpose. So they gave ear to the words
of the Lord and were turned back from fighting against Jeroboam.
11:4 Thus says the LORD, All of you shall not go up, nor fight against your
brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they
obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
11:5 ○ 르호보암이 예루살렘에 거하여 유다 땅에 방비하는 성읍들을 건축하였으니
11:5 Now Rehoboam kept in Jerusalem, building walled towns in Judah.
11:5 And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for defence in Judah.
11:6 곧 베들레헴과 에담과 드고아와
11:6 He was the builder of Beth-lehem and Etam and Tekoa
11:6 He built even Bethlehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,
11:7 벧술과 소고와 아둘람과
11:7 And Beth-zur and Soco and Adullam
11:7 And Bethzur, and Shoco, and Adullam,
11:8 가드와 마레사와 십과
11:8 And Gath and Mareshah and Ziph
11:8 And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
11:9 아도라임과 라기스와 아세가와
11:9 And Adoraim and Lachish and Azekah
11:9 And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,
11:10 소라와 아얄론과 헤브론이니 다 유다와 베냐민 땅에 있어 견고한 성읍이라
11:10 And Zorah and Aijalon and Hebron, walled towns in Judah and Benjamin.
11:10 And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin
fenced cities.
11:11 르호보암이 이 모든 성읍을 더욱 견고케 하고 장관을 그 가운데 두고 양식과
기름과 포도주를 저축하고
11:11 And he made the walled towns strong, and he put captains in them and stores of food,
oil, and wine.
11:11 And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store
of victual, and of oil and wine.
11:12 각 성읍에 방패와 창을 두어 심히 강하게 하니라 유다와 베냐민이 르호보암에게
속하였더라
11:12 And in every town he put stores of body-covers and spears, and made them very strong.
And Judah and Benjamin were his.
11:12 And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them
exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.
11:13 ○ 온 이스라엘의 제사장과 레위 사람이 그 모든 지방에서부터 르호보암에게
돌아오되
11:13 And the priests and Levites who were in all Israel came together to him from every
part of their country.
11:13 And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to
him out of all their coasts.
11:14 레위 사람이 그 향리와 산업을 떠나 유다와 예루살렘에 이르렀으니 이는
여로보암과 그 아들들이 저희를 폐하여 여호와께 제사장의 직분을 행치 못하게 하고
11:14 For the Levites gave up their living-places and their property, and came to Judah
and Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons had sent them away, not letting them be
priests to the Lord;
11:14 For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to
Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing
the priest's office unto the LORD:
11:15 여로보암이 여러 산당과 수염소 우상과 자기가 만든 송아지 우상을 위하여
스스로 제사장들을 세움이라
11:15 And he himself made priests for the high places, and for the images of he-goats
and oxen which he had made.
11:15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils,
and for the calves which he had made.
11:16 이스라엘 모든 지파 중에 마음을 오로지하여 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를
구하는 자들이 레위 사람을 따라 예루살렘에 이르러 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께 제사하고자
한지라
11:16 And after them, from all the tribes of Israel, all those whose hearts were fixed
and true to the Lord, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to make offerings to
the Lord, the God of their fathers.
11:16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts
to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD
God of their fathers.
11:17 그러므로 삼 년 동안 유다 나라를 도와 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암을 강성하게
하였으니 이는 무리가 삼 년을 다윗과 솔로몬의 길로 행하였음이더라
11:17 So they went on increasing the power of the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam,
the son of Solomon, strong for three years; and for three years they went in the
ways of David and Solomon.
11:17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son
of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David
and Solomon.
11:18 ○ 르호보암이 다윗의 아들 여리못의 딸 마할랏으로 아내를 삼았으니 마할랏은
이새의 아들 엘리압의 딸 아비하일의 소생이라
11:18 And Rehoboam took as his wife Mahalath, the daughter of Jerimoth, the son of David
and of Abihail, the daughter of Eliab, the son of Jesse;
11:18 And Rehoboam took him Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of
David to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;
11:19 그가 아들들 곧 여우스와 스마랴와 사함을 낳았으며
11:19 And she had sons by him, Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.
11:19 Which bare him children; Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.
11:20 그 후에 압살롬의 딸 마아가에게 장가 들었더니 저가 아비야와 앗대와 시사와
슬로밋을 낳았더라
11:20 And after her he took Maacah, the daughter of Absalom; and she had Abijah and Attai
and Ziza and Shelomith by him.
11:20 And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him
Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
11:21 르호보암이 아내 십 팔과 첩 육십을 취하여 아들 이십 팔과 딸 육십을 낳았으나
압살롬의 딸 마아가를 모든 처첩보다 더 사랑하여
11:21 Maacah, the daughter of Absalom, was dearer to Rehoboam than all his wives and his
servant-wives: (for he had eighteen wives and sixty servant-wives, and was the father
of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.)
11:21 And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives
and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines;
and brings forth twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)
11:22 마아가의 아들 아비야를 세워 장자를 삼아 형제 중에 머리가 되게 하였으니
이는 저로 왕이 되게 하고자 함이라
11:22 Rehoboam made Abijah, the son of Maacah, chief and ruler among his brothers, for
it was his purpose to make him king.
11:22 And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler
among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.
11:23 르호보암이 지혜롭게 행하여 그 모든 아들을 유다와 베냐민의 온 땅 모든
견고한 성읍에 흩어 살게 하고 양식을 후히 주고 아내를 많이 구하여 주었더라
11:23 And in his wisdom he had his sons stationed in every walled town through all the
lands of Judah and Benjamin; and he gave them a great store of food, and took wives
for them.
11:23 And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all
the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fenced city: and he gave them
victual in abundance. And he desired many wives.
12:1 르호보암이 나라가 견고하고 세력이 강하매 여호와의 율법을 버리니 온 이스라엘이
본받은지라
12:1 Now when Rehoboam's position as king had been made certain, and he was strong, he
gave up the law of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
12:1 And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and
had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with
him.
12:2 저희가 여호와께 범죄하였으므로 르호보암 왕 오 년에 애굽 왕 시삭이 예루살렘을
치러 올라오니
12:2 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against
Jerusalem, because of their sin against the Lord,
12:2 And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak
king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against
the LORD,
12:3 저에게 병거가 일천 이백 승이요 마병이 육만이며 애굽에서 좇아나온 무리
곧 훔과 숩과 구스 사람이 불가승수라
12:3 With twelve hundred war-carriages and sixty thousand horsemen: and the people who
came with him out of Egypt were more than might be numbered: Lubim and Sukkiim and
Ethiopians.
12:3 With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and
the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims,
the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
12:4 시삭이 유다의 견고한 성읍을 취하고 예루살렘에 이르니
12:4 And he took the walled towns of Judah, and came as far as Jerusalem.
12:4 And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to
Jerusalem.
12:5 때에 유다 방백들이 시삭을 인하여 예루살렘에 모였는지라 선지자 스마야가
르호보암과 방백들에게 나아와 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 너희가 나를 버렸으므로 나도
너희를 버려 시삭의 손에 붙였노라 하셨다 한지라
12:5 Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the chiefs of Judah, who had come
together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, The Lord has said, Because
you have given me up, I have given you up into the hands of Shishak.
12:5 Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah,
that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them,
Thus says the LORD, All of you have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left
you in the hand of Shishak.
12:6 이에 이스라엘 방백들과 왕이 스스로 겸비하여 가로되 여호와는 의로우시다
하매
12:6 Then the chiefs of Israel and the king made themselves low and said, The Lord is
upright.
12:6 Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and
they said, The LORD is righteous.
12:7 여호와께서 저희의 스스로 겸비함을 보신지라 여호와의 말씀이 스마야에게
임하여 가라사대 저희가 스스로 겸비하였으니 내가 멸하지 아니하고 대강 구원하여
나의 노를 시삭의 손으로 예루살렘에 쏟지 아니하리라
12:7 And the Lord, seeing that they had made themselves low, said to Shemaiah, They have
made themselves low: I will not send destruction on them, but in a short time I
will give them salvation, and will not let loose my wrath on Jerusalem by the hand
of Shishak.
12:7 And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the
LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will
not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall
not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
12:8 그러나 저희가 시삭의 종이 되어 나를 섬기는 것과 열국을 섬기는 것이 어떠한지
알게 되리라 하셨더라
12:8 But still they will become his servants, so that they may see how different my yoke
is from the yoke of the kingdoms of the lands.
12:8 Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service,
and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
12:9 ○ 애굽 왕 시삭이 올라와서 예루살렘을 치고 여호와의 전 보물과 왕궁의
보물을 몰수히 빼앗고 솔로몬의 만든 금 방패도 빼앗은지라
12:9 So Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem and took away all the stored
wealth of the house of the Lord and the king's house: he took everything away, and
with the rest the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.
12:9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the
treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he
took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
12:10 르호보암 왕이 그 대신에 놋으로 방패를 만들어 궁문을 지키는 시위대 장관들의
손에 맡기매
12:10 And in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass and gave them
into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of
the king's house.
12:10 Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed
them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's
house.
12:11 왕이 여호와의 전에 들어갈 때마다 시위하는 자가 그 방패를 들고 갔다가
시위소로 도로 가져갔더라
12:11 And whenever the king went into the house of the Lord, the armed men went with him
taking the body-covers, and then took them back to their room.
12:11 And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came
and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.
12:12 르호보암이 스스로 겸비하였고 유다에 선한 일도 있으므로 여호와께서 노를
돌이키사 다 멸하지 아니하셨더라
12:12 And when he made himself low, the wrath of the Lord was turned back from him, and
complete destruction did not come on him, for there was still some good in Judah.
12:12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him,
that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
12:13 ○ 르호보암 왕이 예루살렘에서 스스로 강하게 하여 치리하니라 르호보암이
위에 나아갈 때에 나이 사십 일 세라 예루살렘 곧 여호와께서 이스라엘 모든 지파 중에서
택하여 그 이름을 두신 성에서 십 칠 년을 치리하니라 르호보암의 모친의 이름은 나아마라
암몬 여인이더라
12:13 So King Rehoboam made himself strong in Jerusalem and was ruling there. Rehoboam
was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was ruling for seventeen years
in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel,
to put his name there; and his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
12:13 So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for
Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned
seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all
the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah
an Ammonitess.
12:14 르호보암이 마음을 오로지하여 여호와를 구하지 아니함으로 악을 행하였더라
12:14 And he did evil because his heart was not true to the Lord.
12:14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
12:15 ○ 르호보암의 시종 행적은 선지자 스마야와 선견자 잇도의 족보책에 기록되지
아니하였느냐 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 항상 전쟁이 있으니라
12:15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not recorded in the words of
Shemaiah the prophet and Iddo the seer? And there were wars between Rehoboam and
Jeroboam all their days.
12:15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the
book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And
there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
12:16 르호보암이 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗 성에 장사되고 그 아들 아비야가 대신하여
왕이 되니라
12:16 And Rehoboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town
of David; and Abijah his son became king in his place.
12:16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of
David: and Abijah his son reigned in his position.
13:1 여로보암 왕 제 십 팔 년에 아비야가 유다 왕이 되고
13:1 In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, Abijah became king over Judah.
13:1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over
Judah.
13:2 예루살렘에서 삼 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 미가야라 기브아 사람
우리엘의 딸이더라 아비야가 여로보암으로 더불어 싸울새
13:2 He was king in Jerusalem for three years; his mother's name was Maacah, the daughter
of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
13:2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah
the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
13:3 아비야는 택한 바 싸움에 용맹한 군사 사십만으로 싸움을 예비하였고 여로보암은
택한 바 큰 용사 팔십만으로 대진한지라
13:3 And Abijah went out to the fight with an army of men of war, four hundred thousand
of his best men; and Jeroboam put his forces in line against him, eight hundred
thousand of his best men of war.
13:3 And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war,
even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array
against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.
13:4 아비야가 에브라임 산 중 스마라임 산 위에 서서 가로되 여로보암과 이스라엘
무리들아 다 들으라
13:4 And Abijah took up his position on Mount Zemaraim, in the hill-country of Ephraim,
and said, Give ear to me, O Jeroboam and all Israel:
13:4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim,
and said, Hear me, you Jeroboam, and all Israel;
13:5 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 소금 언약으로 이스라엘 나라를 영원히 다윗과
그 자손에게 주신 것을 너희가 알 것이 아니냐
13:5 Is it not clear to you that the Lord, the God of Israel, gave the rule over Israel
to David and to his sons for ever, by an agreement made with salt?
13:5 Ought all of you not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom
over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of
salt?
13:6 다윗의 아들 솔로몬의 신복 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 일어나 그 주를 배반하고
13:6 But Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon, the son of David, took up
arms against his lord.
13:6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David,
has risen up, and has rebelled against his lord.
13:7 난봉과 비류가 모여 좇으므로 스스로 강하게 하여 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암을
대적하나 그 때에 르호보암이 어리고 마음이 연약하여 능히 막지 못하였었느니라
13:7 And certain foolish and good-for-nothing men were joined with him, and made themselves
strong against Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, when he was young and untested and
not able to keep them back.
13:7 And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and
have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam
was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.
13:8 이제 너희가 또 다윗 자손의 손으로 다스리는 여호와의 나라를 대적하려
하는도다 너희는 큰 무리요 또 여로보암이 너희를 위하여 신으로 만든 금송아지가
너희와 함께 있도다
13:8 And now it is your purpose to put yourselves against the authority which the Lord
has put into the hands of the sons of David, and you are a very great number, and
you have with you the gold oxen which Jeroboam made to be your gods.
13:8 And now all of you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the
hand of the sons of David; and all of you be a great multitude, and there are
with your golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.
13:9 너희가 아론 자손 된 여호와의 제사장과 레위 사람을 쫓아내고 이방 백성의
풍속을 좇아 제사장을 삼지 아니하였느냐 무론 누구든지 수송아지 하나와 수양 일곱을
끌고 와서 장립을 받고자 하는 자마다 허무한 신의 제사장이 될 수 있도다
13:9 And after driving out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron and the Levites,
have you not made priests for yourselves as the people of other lands do? so that
anyone who comes to make himself priest by offering an ox or seven sheep, may be
a priest of those who are no gods.
13:9 Have all of you not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron,
and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of
other lands? so that whosoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bullock
and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
13:10 우리에게는 여호와께서 우리 하나님이 되시니 그를 우리가 배반치 아니하였고
여호와를 섬기는 제사장들이 있으니 아론의 자손이요 또 레위 사람이 수종을 들어
13:10 But as for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not been turned away from him; we
have priests who do the work of the Lord, even the sons of Aaron and the Levites
in their places;
13:10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and
the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites
wait upon their business:
13:11 조석으로 여호와 앞에 번제를 드리며 분향하며 또 깨끗한 상에 진설병을
놓고 또 금 등대가 있어 그 등에 저녁마다 불을 켜나니 우리는 우리 하나님 여호와의
계명을 지키나 너희는 그를 배반하였느니라
13:11 By whom burned offerings and perfumes are sent up in smoke before the Lord every
morning and every evening; and they put out the holy bread on its table and the
gold support for the lights with its lights burning every evening; for we keep the
orders given to us by the Lord our God, but you have gone away from him.
13:11 And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices
and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table;
and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for
we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but all of you have forsaken him.
13:12 하나님이 우리와 함께 하사 우리의 머리가 되시고 그 제사장들도 우리와
함께하여 경고의 나팔을 불어 너희를 공격하느니라 이스라엘 자손들아 너희 열조의
하나님 여호와와 싸우지 말라 너희가 형통치 못하리라
13:12 And now God is with us at our head, and his priests with their loud horns sounding
against you. O children of Israel, do not make war on the Lord, the God of your
fathers, for it will not go well for you.
13:12 And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests
with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight
all of you not against the LORD God of your fathers; for all of you shall not
prosper.
13:13 ○ 여로보암이 유다의 뒤를 둘러 복병하였으므로 그 앞에는 이스라엘 사람이
있고 그 뒤에는 복병이 있는지라
13:13 But Jeroboam had put some of his men to make a surprise attack on them from the
back, so some were facing Judah and others were stationed secretly at their back.
13:13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they
were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.
13:14 유다 사람이 돌이켜 보고 자기 앞 뒤의 적병을 인하여 여호와께 부르짖고
제사장은 나팔을 부니라
13:14 And Judah, turning their faces, saw that they were being attacked in front and at
the back; and they gave a cry for help to the Lord, while the priests were sounding
their horns.
13:14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind:
and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
13:15 유다 사람이 소리 지르매 유다 사람의 소리 지를 때에 하나님이 여로보암과
온 이스라엘을 아비야와 유다 앞에서 쳐서 패하게 하시니
13:15 And the men of Judah gave a loud cry; and at their cry, God put fear into Jeroboam
and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
13:15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted,
it came to pass, that God stroke Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
13:16 이스라엘 자손이 유다 앞에서 도망하는지라 하나님이 그 손에 붙이신 고로
13:16 And the children of Israel went in flight before Judah, and God gave them up into
their hands.
13:16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them
into their hand.
13:17 아비야와 그 백성이 크게 도륙하니 이스라엘의 택한 병정이 죽임을 입고
엎드러진 자가 오십만이었더라
13:17 And Abijah and his people put them to death with great destruction: five hundred
thousand of the best of Israel were put to the sword.
13:17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there
fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
13:18 그 때에 이스라엘 자손이 항복하고 유다 자손이 이기었으니 이는 저희가
그 열조의 하나님 여호와를 의지하였음이라
13:18 So at that time the children of Israel were overcome, and the children of Judah
got the better of them, because they put their faith in the Lord, the God of their
fathers.
13:18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the
children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their
fathers.
13:19 아비야가 여로보암을 쫓아가서 그 성읍들을 빼앗았으니 곧 벧엘과 그 동네와
여사나와 그 동네와 에브론과 그 동네라
13:19 And Abijah went after Jeroboam and took some of his towns, Beth-el with its small
towns and Jeshanah with its small towns and Ephron with its small towns.
13:19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel
with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephraim with
the towns thereof.
13:20 아비야 때에 여로보암이 다시 강성하지 못하고 여호와의 치심을 입어 죽었고
13:20 And Jeroboam did not get back his power again in the life-time of Abijah; and the
Lord sent death on him.
13:20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah:
and the LORD struck him, and he died.
13:21 아비야는 점점 강성하며 아내 열 넷을 취하여 아들 스물 둘과 딸 열 여섯을
낳았더라
13:21 But Abijah became great, and had fourteen wives, and became the father of twenty-two
sons and sixteen daughters.
13:21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and brings forth
twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
13:22 아비야의 남은 사적과 그 행위와 그 말은 선지자 잇도의 주석 책에 기록되니라

14:1 아비야가 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗 성에 장사되고 그 아들 아사가 대신하여
왕이 되니 그 시대에 그 땅이 십 년을 평안하니라
14:1 So Abijah went to rest with his fathers, and they put him into the earth in the
town of David, and Asa his son became king in his place; in his time the land was
quiet for ten years.
14:1 So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of
David: and Asa his son reigned in his position. In his days the land was quiet
ten years.
14:2 아사가 그 하나님 여호와 보시기에 선과 정의를 행하여
14:2 And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God;
14:2 And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his
God:
14:3 이방 제단과 산당을 없이하고 주상을 훼파하며 아세라 상을 찍고
14:3 For he took away the altars of strange gods and the high places, and had the upright
stones broken and the wood pillars cut down;
14:3 For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places,
and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:
14:4 유다 사람을 명하여 그 열조의 하나님 여호와를 구하게 하며 그 율법과 명령을
행하게 하고
14:4 And he made Judah go after the Lord, the God of their fathers, and keep his laws
and his orders.
14:4 And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do
the law and the commandment.
14:5 또 유다 모든 성읍에서 산당과 태양상을 없이하매 나라가 그 앞에서 평안함을
얻으니라
14:5 And he took away the high places and the sun-images from all the towns of Judah;
and the kingdom was quiet under his rule.
14:5 Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and
the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.
14:6 여호와께서 아사에게 평안을 주셨으므로 그 땅이 평안하여 여러 해 싸움이
없은지라 저가 견고한 성읍들을 유다에 건축하니라
14:6 He made walled towns in Judah, for the land was quiet and there were no wars in
those years, because the Lord had given him rest.
14:6 And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had
no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.
14:7 아사가 일찌기 유다 사람에게 이르되 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와를 찾았으므로
이 땅이 아직 우리 앞에 있나니 우리가 이 성읍들을 건축하고 그 주위에 성곽과 망대와
문과 빗장을 만들자 우리가 주를 찾았으므로 주께서 우리에게 사방의 평안을 주셨느니라
하고 이에 저희가 성읍을 형통하게 건축하였더라
14:7 He said to Judah, Let us make these towns, building walls round them with towers
and doors and locks. The land is still ours, because we have been true to the Lord
our God; we have been true to him and he has given us rest on every side. So they
went on building and all went well for them.
14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about
them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because
we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he has given us rest
on every side. So they built and prospered.
14:8 아사의 군대는 유다 중에서 큰 방패와 창을 잡는 자가 삼십만이요 베냐민
중에서 작은 방패를 잡으며 활을 당기는 자가 이십팔만이라 다 큰 용사더라
14:8 And Asa had an army of three hundred thousand men of Judah armed with body-covers
and spears, and two hundred and eighty thousand of Benjamin armed with body-covers
and bows; all these were men of war.
14:8 And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah
three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows,
two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.
14:9 ○ 구스 사람 세라가 저희를 치려 하여 군사 백만과 병거 삼백 승을 거느리고
마레사에 이르매
14:9 And Zerah the Ethiopian, with an army of a million, and three hundred war-carriages,
came out against them to Mareshah.
14:9 And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of
a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.
14:10 아사가 마주 나아가서 마레사의 스바다 골짜기에 진 치고
14:10 And Asa went out against him, and they put their forces in position in the valley
north of Mareshah.
14:10 Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in
the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
14:11 그 하나님 여호와께 부르짖어 가로되 여호와여 강한 자와 약한 자 사이에는
주 밖에 도와 줄 이가 없사오니 우리 하나님 여호와여 우리를 도우소서 우리가 주를
의지하오며 주의 이름을 의탁하옵고 이 많은 무리를 치러 왔나이다 여호와여 주는
우리 하나님이시오니 원컨대 사람으로 주를 이기지 못하게 하옵소서 하였더니
14:11 And Asa made prayer to the Lord his God and said, Lord, you only are able to give
help against the strong to him who has no strength; come to our help, O Lord our
God, for our hope is in you, and in your name we have come out against this great
army. O Lord, you are our God; let not man's power be greater than yours.
14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing
with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us,
O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude.
O LORD, you are our God; let no man prevail against you.
14:12 여호와께서 구스 사람을 아사와 유다 사람 앞에서 쳐서 패하게 하시니 구스
사람이 도망하는지라
14:12 So the Lord sent fear on the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah; and the Ethiopians
went in flight.
14:12 So the LORD stroke the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and
the Ethiopians fled.
14:13 아사와 그 좇는 자가 구스 사람을 쫓아 그랄까지 이르매 이에 구스 사람이
엎드러지고 살아 남은 자가 없었으니 이는 여호와 앞에서와 그 군대 앞에서 패망하였음이라
노략한 물건이 심히 많았더라
14:13 And Asa and the people who were with him went after them as far as Gerar; and so
great was the destruction among the Ethiopians that they were not able to get their
army together again, for they were broken before the Lord and before his army; and
they took away a great amount of their goods.
14:13 And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar:
and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves;
for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried
away very much spoil.
14:14 여호와께서 그랄 사면 모든 성읍 백성을 두렵게 하시니 무리가 그 모든
성읍을 치고 그 가운데 있는 많은 물건을 노략하고
14:14 And they overcame all the towns round Gerar, because the Lord sent fear on them;
and they took away their goods from the towns, for there were stores of wealth in
them.
14:14 And they stroke all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the
LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding
much spoil in them.
14:15 또 짐승 지키는 천막을 치고 양과 약대를 많이 이끌고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
14:15 And they made an attack on the tents of the owners of the cattle, and took away
great numbers of sheep and camels and went back to Jerusalem.
14:15 They stroke also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels
in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
15:1 하나님의 신이 오뎃의 아들 아사랴에게 임하시매
15:1 And the spirit of God came on Azariah, the son of Oded;
15:1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
15:2 저가 나가서 아사를 맞아 이르되 아사와 및 유다와 베냐민의 무리들아 내
말을 들으라 너희가 여호와와 함께하면 여호와께서 너희와 함께하실지라 너희가 만일
저를 찾으면 저가 너희의 만난 바 되시려니와 너희가 만일 저를 버리면 저도 너희를
버리시리라
15:2 And he came face to face with Asa and said to him, Give ear to me, Asa and all Judah
and Benjamin: the Lord is with you while you are with him; if your heart's desire
is for him, he will be near you, but if you give him up, he will give you up.
15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear all of you me,
Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while all of you be with
him; and if all of you seek him, he will be found of you; but if all of you
forsake him, he will forsake you.
15:3 이스라엘에는 참 신이 없고 가르치는 제사장도 없고 율법도 없은 지가 이제
오래였으나
15:3 Now for a long time Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching
priest and without the law;
15:3 Now for a long season Israel has been without the true God, and without
a teaching priest, and without law.
15:4 그 환난 때에 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께 돌아가서 찾으매 저가 그들의 만난
바가 되셨나니
15:4 But when in their trouble they were turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, searching
after him, he let their search be rewarded.
15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel,
and sought him, he was found of them.
15:5 그 때에 열국에 거한 모든 백성이 크게 요란하여 사람의 출입이 평안치 못하며
15:5 In those times there was no peace for him who went out or for him who came in, but
great trouble was on all the people of the lands.
15:5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him
that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
15:6 이 나라가 저 나라와 서로 치고 이 성읍이 저 성읍과 또한 그러하여 피차
상한 바 되었나니 이는 하나님이 모든 고난으로 요란케 하셨음이니라
15:6 And they were broken by divisions, nation against nation and town against town,
because God sent all sorts of trouble on them.
15:6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex
them with all adversity.
15:7 그런즉 너희는 강하게 하라 손이 약하지 않게 하라 너희 행위에는 상급이
있음이니라
15:7 But be you strong and let not your hands be feeble, for your work will be rewarded.
15:7 Be all of you strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for
your work shall be rewarded.
15:8 ○ 아사가 이 말 곧 선지자 오뎃의 예언을 듣고 마음을 강하게 하여 가증한
물건을 유다와 베냐민 온 땅에서 제하고 또 에브라임 산지에서 빼앗은 성읍들에서
제하고 또 여호와의 낭실 앞 여호와의 단을 중수하고
15:8 And Asa, hearing these words of Azariah, the son of Oded the prophet, took heart
and put away all the disgusting things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin,
and out of the towns which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he
made new again the altar of the Lord in front of the covered way of the Lord's house.
15:8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet,
he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah
and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and
renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
15:9 또 유다와 베냐민의 무리를 모으고 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온 가운데서
나와서 저희 중에 우거하는 자를 모았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람들이 아사의 하나님
여호와께서 그와 함께하심을 보고 아사에게로 돌아오는 자가 많았음이더라
15:9 And he got together all Judah and Benjamin and those of Ephraim and Manasseh and
Simeon who were living with them; for numbers of them came to him out of Israel
when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.
15:9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them
out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of
Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
15:10 아사 왕 십 오 년 삼 월에 저희가 예루살렘에 모이고
15:10 So they came together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of
the rule of Asa.
15:10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month,
in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
15:11 그 날에 노략하여 온 물건 중에서 소 칠백과 양 칠천으로 여호와께 제사를
드리고
15:11 And that day they made offerings to the Lord of the things they had taken in war,
seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
15:11 And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they
had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
15:12 또 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 열조의 하나님 여호와를 찾기로 언약하고
15:12 And they made an agreement to be true to the Lord, the God of their fathers, with
all their heart and all their soul;
15:12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers
with all their heart and with all their soul;
15:13 무릇 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 찾지 아니하는 자는 대소 남녀를 무론하고
죽이는 것이 마땅하다 하고
15:13 And that anyone, small or great, man or woman, who was not true to the Lord, the
God of Israel, would be put to death.
15:13 That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put
to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
15:14 무리가 큰 소리로 부르며 피리와 나팔을 불어 여호와께 맹세하매
15:14 And they made an oath to the Lord, with a loud voice, sounding wind-instruments
and horns.
15:14 And they swore unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting,
and with trumpets, and with cornets.
15:15 온 유다가 이 맹세를 기뻐한지라 무리가 마음을 다하여 맹세하고 뜻을 다하여
여호와를 찾았으므로 여호와께서도 저희의 만난 바가 되시고 그 사방에 평안을 주셨더라
15:15 And all Judah was glad because of the oath, for they had taken it with all their
heart, turning to the Lord with all their desire; and he was with them and gave
them rest on every side.
15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their
heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and
the LORD gave them rest round about.
15:16 ○ 아사 왕의 모친 마아가가 아세라의 가증한 목상을 만들었으므로 아사가
그 태후의 위를 폐하고 그 우상을 찍고 빻아 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으니
15:16 And Asa would not let Maacah, his mother, be queen, because she had made a disgusting
image for Asherah; and Asa had her image cut down and broken up and burned by the
stream Kidron.
15:16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed
her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down
her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
15:17 산당은 이스라엘 중에서 제하지 아니하였으나 아사의 마음이 일평생 온전하였더라
15:17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel; but still the heart of Asa
was true to the Lord all his life.
15:17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless
the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
15:18 저가 또 그 부친의 구별한 물건과 자기의 구별한 물건 곧 은과 금과 기명들을
하나님의 전에 드렸더니
15:18 He took into the house of God all the things which his father had made holy and
those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.
15:18 And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had
dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
15:19 이 때부터 아사 왕 삼십 오 년까지 다시는 전쟁이 없으니라
15:19 And there was no more war till the thirty-fifth year of the rule of Asa.
15:19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign
of Asa.
16:1 아사 왕 삼십 륙 년에 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를
건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사에게 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라
16:1 In the thirty-sixth year of the rule of Asa, Baasha, king of Israel, went up against
Judah, building Ramah so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.
16:1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel
came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none
go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
16:2 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간의 은금을 취하여 다메섹에 거한 아람
왕 벤하닷에게 보내며 가로되
16:2 Then Asa took silver and gold out of the stores of the Lord's house and of the king's
store-house, and sent to Ben-hadad, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying,
16:2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house
of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that
dwelt at Damascus, saying,
16:3 내 부친과 당신의 부친 사이에와 같이 나와 당신 사이에 약조하자 내가 당신에게
은금을 보내노니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 저로 나를 떠나게
하라 하매
16:3 Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and
your father: see, I have sent you silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement
with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me.
16:3 There is a league between me and you, as there was between my father
and your father: behold, I have sent you silver and gold; go, break your league
with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
16:4 벤하닷이 아사 왕의 말을 듣고 그 군대 장관들을 보내어 이스라엘 두어 성읍을
치되 이욘과 단과 아벨마임과 납달리의 모든 국고성을 쳤더니
16:4 And Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against
the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-maim, and all the store-towns
of Naphtali.
16:4 And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies
against the cities of Israel; and they stroke Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and
all the store cities of Naphtali.
16:5 바아사가 듣고 라마 건축하는 일을 파하여 그 공역을 그친지라
16:5 Then Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and let his work
come to an end.
16:5 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building
of Ramah, and let his work cease.
16:6 아사 왕이 온 유다 무리를 거느리고 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을
수운하여다가 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라
16:6 Then King Asa, with all Judah, took away the stones and wood with which Baasha was
building Ramah, and he made use of them for building Geba and Mizpah.
16:6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of
Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith
Geba and Mizpah.
16:7 ○ 때에 선견자 하나니가 유다 왕 아사에게 나아와서 이르되 왕이 아람 왕을
의지하고 왕의 하나님 여호와를 의지하지 아니한 고로 아람 왕의 군대가 왕의 손에서
벗어났나이다
16:7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa, king of Judah, and said to him, Because
you have put your faith in the king of Aram and not in the Lord your God, the army
of the king of Aram has got away out of your hands.
16:7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said
unto him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the
LORD your God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of yours
hand.
16:8 구스 사람과 룹 사람의 군대가 크지 아니하며 말과 병거가 심히 많지 아니하더이까
그러나 왕이 여호와를 의지한 고로 여호와께서 왕의 손에 붙이셨나이다
16:8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a very great army, with war-carriages and
horsemen more than might be numbered? but because your faith was in the Lord, he
gave them up into your hands.
16:8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots
and horsemen? yet, because you did rely on the LORD, he delivered them into
yours hand.
16:9 여호와의 눈은 온 땅을 두루 감찰하사 전심으로 자기에게 향하는 자를 위하여
능력을 베푸시나니 이 일은 왕이 망령되이 행하였은즉 이 후부터는 왕에게 전쟁이
있으리이다 하매
16:9 For the eyes of the Lord go this way and that, through all the earth, letting it
be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him. In
this you have done foolishly, for from now you will have wars.
16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run back and forth throughout the whole earth,
to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from henceforth you shall have wars.
16:10 아사가 노하여 선견자를 옥에 가두었으니 이는 그 말에 크게 노하였음이며
그 때에 아사가 또 몇 백성을 학대하였더라
16:10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, burning with wrath against
him because of this thing. And at the same time Asa was cruel to some of the people.
16:10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for
he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the
people the same time.
16:11 ○ 아사의 시종 행적은 유다와 이스라엘 열왕기에 기록되니라
16:11 Now the acts of Asa, first and last, are recorded in the book of the kings of Judah
and Israel.
16:11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written
in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
16:12 아사가 왕이 된 지 삼십 구 년에 그 발이 병들어 심히 중하나 병이 있을 때에
저가 여호와께 구하지 아니하고 의원들에게 구하였더라
16:12 In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, Asa had a very bad disease of the feet; but
he did not go to the Lord for help in his disease, but to medical men.
16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his
feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not
to the LORD, but to the physicians.
16:13 아사가 위에 있은 지 사십 일 년에 죽어 그 열조와 함께 자매
16:13 So Asa went to rest with his fathers, and death came to him in the forty-first year
of his rule.
16:13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year
of his reign.
16:14 다윗 성에 자기를 위하여 파 두었던 묘실에 무리가 장사하되 그 시체를 법대로
만든 각양 향재료를 가득히 채운 상에 두고 또 위하여 많이 분향하였더라
16:14 And they put him into the resting-place which he had made for himself in the town
of David, in a bed full of sweet perfumes of all sorts of spices, made by the perfumer's
art, and they made a great burning for him.
16:14 And they buried him in his own sepulchers, which he had made for himself
in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours
and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' are: and they made
a very great burning for him.
17:1 아사의 아들 여호사밧이 대신하여 왕이 되어 스스로 강하게 하여 이스라엘을
방비하되
17:1 And Jehoshaphat his son became king in his place, and made himself strong against
Israel.
17:1 And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his position, and strengthened himself
against Israel.
17:2 유다 모든 견고한 성읍에 군대를 주둔하고 또 유다 땅과 그 아비 아사의
취한 바 에브라임 성읍들에 영문을 두었더라
17:2 He put forces in all the walled towns of Judah, and responsible chiefs in the land
of Judah and in the towns of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
17:2 And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons
in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had
taken.
17:3 여호와께서 여호사밧과 함께 하셨으니 이는 저가 그 조상 다윗의 처음 길로
행하여 바알들에게 구하지 아니하고
17:3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he went in the early ways of his father,
not turning to the Baals,
17:3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways
of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
17:4 오직 그 부친의 하나님께 구하며 그 계명을 행하고 이스라엘의 행위를 좇지
아니하였음이라
17:4 But turning to the God of his father and keeping his laws, and not doing as Israel
did.
17:4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments,
and not after the doings of Israel.
17:5 그러므로 여호와께서 나라를 그 손에서 견고하게 하시매 유다 무리가 여호사밧에게
예물을 드렸으므로 저가 부귀와 영광이 극하였더라
17:5 So the Lord made his kingdom strong; and all Judah gave offerings to Jehoshaphat,
and he had great wealth and honour.
17:5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah
brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
17:6 저가 전심으로 여호와의 도를 행하여 산당과 아세라 목상들도 유다에서 제하였더라
17:6 His heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord; and he went so far as to take away
the high places and the wood pillars out of Judah.
17:6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took
away the high places and groves out of Judah.
17:7 ○ 저가 위에 있은 지 삼 년에 그 방백 벤하일과 오바댜와 스가랴와 느다넬과
미가야를 보내어 유다 여러 성읍에 가서 가르치게 하고
17:7 In the third year of his rule he sent Benhail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel
and Micaiah, his captains, as teachers into the towns of Judah;
17:7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to
Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah,
to teach in the cities of Judah.
17:8 또 저희와 함께 레위 사람 스마야와 느다냐와 스바댜와 아사헬과 스미라못과
여호나단과 아도니야와 도비야와 도바도니야 등 레위 사람을 보내고 또 저희와 함께
제사장 엘리사마와 여호람을 보내었더니
17:8 And with them, Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel and Shemiramoth and
Jehonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-adonijah, the Levites; and Elishama
and Jehoram the priests.
17:8 And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah,
and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and
Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.
17:9 저희가 여호와의 율법책을 가지고 유다에서 가르치되 그 모든 성읍으로 순행하며
인민을 가르쳤더라
17:9 And they gave teaching in Judah and had the book of the law of the Lord with them;
they went through all the towns of Judah teaching the people.
17:9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with
them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
17:10 ○ 여호와께서 유다 사면 열국에 두려움을 주사 여호사밧과 싸우지 못하게
하시매
17:10 And the fear of the Lord was on all the kingdoms of the lands round Judah, so that
they made no wars against Jehoshaphat.
17:10 And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that
were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
17:11 블레셋 중에서는 여호사밧에게 예물을 드리며 은으로 공을 바쳤고 아라비아
사람도 짐승 떼 곧 수양 칠천 칠백과 수염소 칠천 칠백을 드렸더라
17:11 And some of the Philistines took offerings to Jehoshaphat, and made him payments
of silver; and the Arabians gave him flocks, seven thousand, seven hundred sheep,
and seven thousand, seven hundred he-goats.
17:11 Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute
silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred
rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.
17:12 여호사밧이 점점 강대하여 유다에 견고한 채와 국고성을 건축하고
17:12 Jehoshaphat became greater and greater, and made strong towers and store-towns in
Judah.
17:12 And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles,
and cities of store.
17:13 유다 각 성에 역사를 많이 하고 또 예루살렘에 크게 용맹한 군사를 두었으니
17:13 He had much property in the towns of Judah; he had forces of armed men, great and
strong, in Jerusalem.
17:13 And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war,
mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.
17:14 군사의 수효가 그 족속대로 이러하니라 유다에 속한 천부장 중에는 아드나가
으뜸이 되어 큰 용사 삼십만을 거느렸고
17:14 This is the number of them, listed by their families, the captains of thousands
of Judah: Adnah, the captain, and with him three hundred thousand men of war;
17:14 And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers:
Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men
of valour three hundred thousand.
17:15 그 다음은 장관 여호하난이니 이십팔만을 거느렸고
17:15 Second to him Jehohanan, the captain, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand;
17:15 And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred
and fourscore thousand.
17:16 그 다음은 시그리의 아들 아마시야니 저는 자기를 여호와께 즐거이 드린
자라 큰 용사 이십만을 거느렸고
17:16 After him Amasiah, the son of Zichri, who freely gave himself to the Lord, and with
him two hundred thousand men of war;
17:16 And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself
unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.
17:17 베냐민에 속한 자 중에 큰 용사 엘리아다는 활과 방패를 잡은 자 이십만을
거느렸고
17:17 And the captains of Benjamin: Eliada, a great man of war, and with him two hundred
thousand armed with bows and body-covers;
17:17 And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed
men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.
17:18 그 다음은 여호사밧이라 싸움을 예비한 자 십팔만을 거느렸으니
17:18 And after him Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand trained for
war.
17:18 And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand
ready prepared for the war.
17:19 이는 다 왕을 섬기는 자요 이 외에 또 온 유다 견고한 성에 왕이 군사를
두었더라
17:19 These were the men who were waiting on the king, in addition to those placed by
the king in the walled towns through all Judah.
17:19 These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced
cities throughout all Judah.
18:1 여호사밧이 부귀와 영광이 극하였고 아합으로 더불어 연혼하였더라
18:1 Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth and honour, and his son was married to Ahab's daughter.
18:1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity
with Ahab.
18:2 두어 해 후에 저가 사마리아에 내려가서 아합에게 나아갔더니 아합이 저와
종자를 위하여 우양을 많이 잡고 함께 가서 길르앗 라못 치기를 권하더라
18:2 And after some years he went down to Samaria to see Ahab. And Ahab made a feast
for him and the people who were with him, putting to death great numbers of sheep
and oxen; and he got Jehoshaphat to go with him to Ramoth-gilead.
18:2 And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed
sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him,
and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramothgilead.
18:3 이스라엘 왕 아합이 유다 왕 여호사밧에게 이르되 당신은 나와 함께 길르앗
라못으로 가시겠느뇨 대답하되 나는 당신과 일반이요 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 일반이니
당신과 함께 싸우리이다
18:3 For Ahab, king of Israel, said to Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, Will you go with me
to Ramoth-gilead? And he said, I am as you are, and my people as your people; we
will be with you in the war.
18:3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Will you
go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as you are, and my people
as your people; and we will be with you in the war.
18:4 ○ 여호사밧이 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 청컨대 먼저 여호와의 말씀이
어떠하신지 물어 보소서
18:4 Then Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Let us now get directions from the
Lord.
18:4 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray you, at
the word of the LORD to day.
18:5 이스라엘 왕이 이에 선지자 사백 인을 모으고 저희에게 이르되 우리가 길르앗
라못에 가서 싸우랴 말랴 저희가 가로되 올라가소서 하나님이 그 성을 왕의 손에
붙이시리이다
18:5 So the king of Israel got together all the prophets, four hundred men, and said
to them, Am I to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And they said, Go up: for
God will give it into the hands of the king.
18:5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred
men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear?
And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king's hand.
18:6 여호사밧이 가로되 이 외에 우리가 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 있지
아니하니이까
18:6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may
get directions?
18:6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides,
that we might enquire of him?
18:7 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 오히려 이믈라의 아들 미가야 한 사람이
있으니 저로 말미암아 여호와께 물을 수 있으나 저는 내게 대하여 길한 일은 예언하지
아니하고 항상 흉한 일만 예언하기로 내가 저를 미워하나이다 여호사밧이 가로되
왕은 그런 말씀을 마소서
18:7 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may
get directions from the Lord, but I have no love for him, because he has never been
a prophet of good to me, but only of evil: he is Micaiah, the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat
said, Let not the king say so.
18:7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man,
by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied
good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat
said, Let not the king say so.
18:8 이스라엘 왕이 한 내시를 불러 이르되 이믈라의 아들 미가야로 속히 오게
하라 하니라
18:8 Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly
and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imla.
18:8 And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch
quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
18:9 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 왕복을 입고 사마리아 성문 어귀 광장에서
각기 보좌에 앉았고 모든 선지자가 그 앞에서 예언을 하는데
18:9 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were seated on their
seats of authority, dressed in their robes, by the doorway into Samaria; and all
the prophets were acting as prophets before them.
18:9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them
on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering
in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
18:10 그나아나의 아들 시드기야는 철로 뿔들을 만들어 가지고 말하되 여호와의
말씀이 왕이 이것들로 아람 사람을 찔러 진멸하리라 하셨다 하고
18:10 And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself iron horns and said, The Lord says,
Pushing back the Aramaeans with these, you will put an end to them completely.
18:10 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said,
Thus says the LORD, With these you shall push Syria until they be consumed.
18:11 모든 선지자도 그와 같이 예언하여 이르기를 길르앗 라못으로 올라가서
승리를 얻으소서 여호와께서 그 성을 왕의 손에 붙이시리이다 하더라
18:11 And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it
will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.
18:11 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead,
and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
18:12 미가야를 부르러 간 사자가 일러 가로되 선지자들의 말이 여출일구하여
왕에게 길하게 하니 청컨대 당신의 말도 저희 중 한 사람처럼 길하게 하소서
18:12 Now the servant who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, See now, all the prophets
with one voice are saying good things to the king; so let your words be like theirs,
and say good things.
18:12 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold,
the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let your
word therefore, I pray you, be like one of their's, and speak you good.
18:13 미가야가 가로되 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 내 하나님의 말씀하시는
것 곧 그것을 내가 말하리라 하고
18:13 And Micaiah said, By the living Lord, whatever the Lord says to me I will say.
18:13 And Micaiah said, As the LORD lives, even what my God says, that will
I speak.
18:14 이에 왕에게 이르니 왕이 저에게 이르되 미가야야 우리가 길르앗 라못으로
싸우러 가랴 말랴 가로되 올라가서 승리를 얻으소서 저희가 왕의 손에 붙인 바 되리이다
18:14 When he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, are we to go to Ramoth-gilead
to make war or not? And he said, Go up, and it will go well for you; and they will
be given up into your hands.
18:14 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah,
shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go all
of you up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.
18:15 왕이 저에게 이르되 여호와의 이름으로 진실한 것만 말하라고 내가 몇 번이나
너로 맹세케 하여야 하겠느냐
18:15 And the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say
nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord?
18:15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you
say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
18:16 저가 가로되 내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 목자 없는 양 같이 산에 흩어졌는데
여호와의 말씀이 이 무리가 주인이 없으니 각각 평안히 그 집으로 돌아갈 것이니라
하셨나이다
18:16 Then he said, I saw all Israel wandering on the mountains like sheep without a keeper;
and the Lord said, These have no master: let them go back, every man to his house
in peace.
18:16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as
sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them
return therefore every man to his house in peace.
18:17 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 저 사람이 내게 대하여 길한 것을 예언하지
아니하고 흉한 것만 예언하겠다고 당신에게 말씀하지 아니하였나이까
18:17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say that he would not be a
prophet of good to me, but of evil?
18:17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that
he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
18:18 미가야가 가로되 그런즉 왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서 내가 보니 여호와께서
그 보좌에 앉으셨고 하늘의 만군이 그 좌우편에 모시고 섰는데
18:18 Then he said, Give ear now to the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord seated on his
seat of power, and all the army of heaven in their places, at his right hand and
at his left.
18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD
sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand
and on his left.
18:19 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 누가 이스라엘 왕 아합을 꾀어 저로 길르앗 라못에
올라가서 죽게 할꼬 하시니 하나는 이렇게 하겠다 하고 하나는 저렇게 하겠다 하였는데
18:19 And the Lord said, How may Ahab, king of Israel, be tricked into going up to Ramoth-gilead
to his death? And one said one thing and one another.
18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may
go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spoke saying after this manner, and
another saying after that manner.
18:20 한 영이 나아와 여호와 앞에 서서 말하되 내가 저를 꾀이겠나이다 여호와께서
저에게 이르시되 어떻게 하겠느냐
18:20 Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get
him to do it by a trick. And the Lord said to him, How?
18:20 Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said,
I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?
18:21 가로되 내가 나가서 거짓말하는 영이 되어 그 모든 선지자의 입에 있겠나이다
여호와께서 가라사대 너는 꾀이겠고 또 이루리라 나가서 그리하라 하셨은즉
18:21 And he said, I will go out and be a spirit of deceit in the mouth of all his prophets.
And the Lord said, Your trick will have its effect on him: go out and do so.
18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all
his prophets. And the Lord said, You shall entice him, and you shall also prevail:
go out, and do even so.
18:22 이제 여호와께서 거짓말하는 영을 왕의 이 모든 선지자의 입에 넣으셨고
또 여호와께서 왕에게 대하여 화를 말씀하셨나이다
18:22 And now, see, the Lord has put a spirit of deceit in the mouth of these prophets
of yours; and the Lord has said evil against you.
18:22 Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth
of these your prophets, and the LORD has spoken evil against you.
18:23 ○ 그나아나의 아들 시드기야가 가까이 와서 미가야의 뺨을 치며 이르되
여호와의 영이 나를 떠나 어디로 말미암아 가서 네게 말씀하더냐
18:23 Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, came near and gave Micaiah a blow on the side
of his face, saying, Where is the spirit of the Lord whose word is in you?
18:23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and stroke Micaiah upon
the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak
unto you?
18:24 미가야가 가로되 네가 골방에 들어가서 숨는 그 날에 보리라
18:24 And Micaiah said, Truly, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room
to keep yourself safe.
18:24 And Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see on that day when you shall
go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.
18:25 이스라엘 왕이 가로되 미가야를 잡아 부윤 아몬과 왕자 요아스에게로 끌고
돌아가서
18:25 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon, the ruler of
the town, and to Joash, the king's son;
18:25 Then the king of Israel said, Take all of you Micaiah, and carry him
back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
18:26 말하기를 왕의 말씀이 이 놈을 옥에 가두고 내가 평안히 돌아올 때까지
고생의 떡과 고생의 물로 먹이라 하라
18:26 And say, By the king's order this man is to be put in prison, and given prison food
till I come back in peace.
18:26 And say, Thus says the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed
him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in
peace.
18:27 미가야가 가로되 왕이 참으로 평안히 돌아오시게 될진대 여호와께서 나로
말씀하지 아니하셨으리이다 또 가로되 너희 백성들아 다 들을지어다 하니라
18:27 And Micaiah said, If you come back at all in peace, the Lord has not sent his word
by me.
18:27 And Micaiah said, If you certainly return in peace, then has not the
LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all you people.
18:28 ○ 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 길르앗 라못으로 올라가니라
18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, went up to Ramoth-gilead.
18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to
Ramothgilead.
18:29 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 나는 변장하고 군중으로 들어가려 하노니
당신은 왕복을 입으소서 하고 이스라엘 왕이 변장하고 둘이 군중으로 들어가니라
18:29 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will make a change in my clothing,
so that I do not seem to be the king, and will go into the fight; but do you put
on your robes. So the king of Israel made a change in his dress, and they went to
the fight.
18:29 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself,
and I will go to the battle; but put you on your robes. So the king of Israel
disguised himself; and they went to the battle.
18:30 아람 왕이 그 병거 장관들에게 이미 명하여 이르기를 너희는 작은 자나
큰 자나 더불어 싸우지 말고 오직 이스라엘 왕과 싸우라 한지라
18:30 Now the king of Aram had given orders to the captains of his war-carriages, saying,
Make no attack on small or great, but only on the king of Israel.
18:30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that
were with him, saying, Fight all of you not with small or great, save only with
the king of Israel.
18:31 병거의 장관들이 여호사밧을 보고 이르되 이가 이스라엘 왕이라 하고 돌이켜
저와 싸우려 한즉 여호사밧이 소리를 지르매 여호와께서 저를 도우시며 하나님이
저희를 감동시키사 저를 떠나가게 하신지라
18:31 So when the captains of the war-carriages saw Jehoshaphat, they said, It is the
king of Israel. And turning about, they came round him, but Jehoshaphat gave a cry,
and the Lord came to his help, and God sent them away from him.
18:31 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat,
that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him
to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved
them to depart from him.
18:32 병거의 장관들이 저가 이스라엘 왕이 아님을 보고 쫓기를 그치고 돌이켰더라
18:32 Now when the captains of the war-carriages saw that he was not the king of Israel,
they went back from going after him.
18:32 For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived
that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
18:33 한 사람이 우연히 활을 당기어 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기를 쏜지라 왕이
그 병거 모는 자에게 이르되 내가 부상하였으니 네 손을 돌이켜 나로 군중에서 나가게
하라 하였으나
18:33 And a certain man sent an arrow from his bow without thought of its direction, and
gave the king of Israel a wound where his breastplate was joined to his clothing;
so he said to the driver of his war-carriage, Go to one side and take me away out
of the army, for I am badly wounded.
18:33 And a certain man drew a bow at random, and stroke the king of Israel
between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn
yours hand, that you may carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
18:34 이 날의 전쟁이 맹렬하였으므로 이스라엘 왕이 병거에서 스스로 부지하며
저녁때까지 아람 사람을 막다가 해가 질 즈음에 죽었더라
18:34 But the fight became more violent while the day went on; and the king of Israel
was supported in his war-carriage facing the Aramaeans till the evening; and by
sundown he was dead.
18:34 And the battle increased that day: nevertheless the king of Israel
stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about
the time of the sun going down he died.
