11:1 온 이스라엘이 헤브론에 모여 다윗을 보고 가로되 우리는 왕의 골육이니이다
11:1 Then all Israel came together to David at Hebron, and said, Truly, we are your bone
and your flesh.
11:1 Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold,
we are your bone and your flesh.
11:2 전일 곧 사울이 왕이 되었을 때에도 이스라엘을 거느려 출입하게 한 자가
왕이시었고 왕의 하나님 여호와께서도 왕에게 말씀하시기를 네가 내 백성 이스라엘의
목자가 되며 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자가 되리라 하셨나이다 하니라
11:2 In the past, when Saul was king, it was you who went at the head of Israel when
they went out or came in; and the Lord your God said to you, You are to be the keeper
of my people Israel, and their ruler.
11:2 And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, you were he that
led out and brought in Israel: and the LORD your God said unto you, You shall
feed my people Israel, and you shall be ruler over my people Israel.
11:3 이에 이스라엘 모든 장로가 헤브론에 이르러 왕에게 나아오니 다윗이 헤브론에서
여호와 앞에서 저희와 언약을 세우매 저희가 다윗에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을
삼으니 여호와께서 사무엘로 전하신 말씀대로 되었더라
11:3 So all the responsible men of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and David made
an agreement with them in Hebron before the Lord; and they put the holy oil on David
and made him king over Israel, as the Lord had said by Samuel.
11:3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David
made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David
king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
11:4 ○ 다윗이 온 이스라엘로 더불어 예루살렘 곧 여브스에 이르니 여브스 토인이
거기 거하였더라
11:4 Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (which is Jebus); and the Jebusites,
the people of the land, were there.
11:4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the
Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
11:5 여브스 토인이 다윗에게 이르기를 네가 이리로 들어오지 못하리라 하나 다윗이
시온 산성을 빼앗았으니 이는 다윗 성이더라
11:5 And the people of Jebus said to David, You will not come in here. But still, David
took the strong place of Zion, which is the town of David.
11:5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, You shall not come here.
Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.
11:6 다윗이 가로되 먼저 여브스 사람을 치는 자는 두목과 장관을 삼으리라 하였더니
스루야의 아들 요압이 먼저 올라갔으므로 두목이 되었고
11:6 And David said, The first to overcome the Jebusites will be chief and captain. And
Joab, the son of Zeruiah, went up first, and became chief.
11:6 And David said, Whosoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief
and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
11:7 다윗이 그 산성에 거한 고로 무리가 다윗 성이라 일컬었으며
11:7 And David took the strong tower for his living-place, so it was named the town of
David.
11:7 And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of
David.
11:8 다윗이 밀로에서부터 두루 성을 쌓았고 그 남은 성은 요압이 중수하였더라
11:8 And he took in hand the building of the town all round, starting from the Millo;
and Joab put the rest of the town in order.
11:8 And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and
Joab repaired the rest of the city.
11:9 만군의 여호와께서 함께 계시니 다윗이 점점 강성하여 가니라
11:9 And David became greater and greater in power, because the Lord of armies was with
him.
11:9 So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.
11:10 ○ 다윗에게 있는 용사의 두목은 이러하니라 이 사람들이 온 이스라엘로
더불어 다윗의 힘을 도와 나라를 얻게 하고 세워 왕을 삼았으니 이는 여호와께서
이스라엘에 대하여 이르신 말씀대로 함이었더라
11:10 Now these are the chief of David's men of war who were his strong supporters in
the kingdom, and, with all Israel, made him king, as the Lord had said about Israel.
11:10 These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened
themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according
to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
11:11 다윗에게 있는 용사의 수효가 이러하니라 학몬 사람의 아들 야소브암은
삼십 인의 두목이라 저가 창을 들어 한 때에 삼백 인을 죽였고
11:11 This is the list of David's men of war: Ishbaal, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief
of the three: he put to death three hundred at one time with his spear.
11:11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam,
an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three
hundred slain by him at the same.
11:12 그 다음은 아호아 사람 도도의 아들 엘르아살이니 세 용사 중 하나이라
11:12 And after him was Eleazar, the son of Dodo the Ahohite, who was one of the three
great fighters.
11:12 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one
of the three mighty men.
11:13 저가 바스담밈에서 다윗과 함께 하였더니 블레셋 사람이 그 곳에 모여와서
치니 거기 보리가 많이 난 밭이 있더라 백성들이 블레셋 사람 앞에서 도망하되
11:13 He was with David at Pas-dammim, where the Philistines had come together for the
fight, near a bit of land full of barley; and the people went in flight before the
Philistines.
11:13 He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered
together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people
fled from before the Philistines.
11:14 저희가 그 밭 가운데 서서 그 밭을 보호하여 블레셋 사람을 죽였으니 여호와께서
큰 구원으로 구원하심이었더라
11:14 And he took up his position in the middle of the bit of land, and kept back their
attack, and overcame the Philistines; and the Lord gave a great salvation.
11:14 And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered
it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.
11:15 ○ 삼십 두목 중 세 사람이 바위로 내려가서 아둘람 굴 다윗에게 이를 때에
블레셋 군대가 르바임 골짜기에 진 쳤더라
11:15 And three of the thirty went down to David, to the rock, into the strong place of
Adullam; and the army of the Philistines had taken up their position in the valley
of Rephaim.
11:15 Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into
the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley
of Rephaim.
11:16 그 때에 다윗은 산성에 있고 블레셋 사람의 영채는 베들레헴에 있는지라
11:16 At that time David had taken cover in the strong place, and an armed force of the
Philistines was in Beth-lehem.
11:16 And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then
at Bethlehem.
11:17 다윗이 사모하여 가로되 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 누가 나로 마시게
할꼬 하매
11:17 And David, moved by a strong desire, said, If only someone would give me a drink
of the water from the water-hole of Beth-lehem by the doorway into the town!
11:17 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the
water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
11:18 이 세 사람이 블레셋 사람의 군대를 충돌하고 지나가서 베들레헴 성문 곁
우물 물을 길어가지고 다윗에게로 왔으나 다윗이 마시기를 기뻐 아니하고 그 물을
여호와께 부어드리고
11:18 So the three, forcing a way through the Philistine army, got water from the water-hole
of Beth-lehem, by the doorway into the town, and took it back to David; but David
would not take it, but made an offering of it, draining it out to the Lord,
11:18 And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water
out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought
it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD.
11:19 가로되 내 하나님이여 내가 결단코 이런 일을 하지 아니하리이다 생명을
돌아보지 아니하고 갔던 사람들의 피를 어찌 마시리이까 하고 마시기를 즐겨 아니하니라
세 용사가 이런 일을 행하였더라
11:19 Saying, By my God, far be it from me to do this! How may I take as drink the life-blood
of these men who have put their lives in danger? so he did not take it. These things
did the three great men of war.
11:19 And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I
drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with
the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it.
These things did these three might.
11:20 ○ 요압의 아우 아비새는 그 삼 인의 두목이라 저가 창을 들어 삼백 인을
죽이고 그 삼 인 중에 이름을 얻었으니
11:20 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, was chief of the thirty, for he put to death three
hundred with his spear, but he had not a name among the three.
11:20 And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting
up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.
11:21 저는 둘째 삼 인 중에 가장 존귀하여 저희의 두목이 되었으나 그러나 첫째
삼 인에게는 미치지 못하니라
11:21 Of the thirty, he was the noblest, and was made their captain, but he was not equal
to the first three.
11:21 Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their
captain: nevertheless he attained not to the first three.
11:22 ○ 갑스엘 용사의 손자 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 효용한 일을 행한 자라
저가 모압 아리엘의 아들 둘을 죽였고 또 눈 올 때에 함정에 내려가서 한 사자를
죽였으며
11:22 Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a fighting-man of Kabzeel, had done great acts; he
put to death two young lions going into their secret place; and he went down into
a hole and put a lion to death in time of snow.
11:22 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who
had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and
slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.
11:23 또 장대한 애굽 사람을 죽였는데 그 사람의 키가 다섯 규빗이요 그 손에
든 창이 베틀채 같으나 저가 막대기를 가지고 내려가서 그 애굽 사람의 손에서 창을
빼앗아 그 창으로 죽였더라
11:23 And he made an attack on an Egyptian, a very tall man about five cubits high, armed
with a spear like a cloth-worker's rod; he went down to him with a stick, and pulling
his spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, put him to death with that same spear.
11:23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high;
and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down
to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew
him with his own spear.
11:24 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 이런 일을 행하였으므로 세 용사 중에 이름을
얻고
11:24 These were the acts of Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, who had a great name among
the thirty men of war.
11:24 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among
the three mighty men.
11:25 삼십 인보다 존귀하나 그러나 첫 삼 인에게는 미치지 못하니라 다윗이 저를
세워 시위대 장관을 삼았더라
11:25 He was honoured over the thirty, but he was not equal to the first three: and David
put him over his servants.
11:25 Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the
first three: and David set him over his guard.
11:26 ○ 또 군중의 큰 용사는 요압의 아우 아사헬과 베들레헴 사람 도도의 아들
엘하난과
11:26 And these were the great men of war: Asahel, the brother of Joab, Elhanan, the son
of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
11:26 Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab,
Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
11:27 하롤 사람 삼훗과 블론 사람 헬레스와
11:27 Shammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,

12:1 다윗이 기스의 아들 사울을 인하여 시글락에 숨어 있을 때에 그에게 와서
싸움을 돕는 용사 중에 든 자가 있었으니
12:1 Now these are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still shut up, because
of Saul, the son of Kish; they were among the strong men, his helpers in war.
12:1 Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself
close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers
of the war.
12:2 저희는 활을 가지며 좌우 손을 놀려 물매도 던지며 살도 발하는 자요 베냐민
지파 사울의 동족인데 그 이름은 이러하니라
12:2 They were armed with bows, and were able to send stones, and arrows from the bow,
with right hand or left: they were Saul's brothers, of Benjamin.
12:2 They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the
left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren
of Benjamin.
12:3 그 두목은 아히에셀이요 다음은 요아스니 기브아 사람 스마아의 두 아들이요
또 아스마웻의 아들 여시엘과 벨렛과 또 브라가와 아나돗 사람 예후와
12:3 Ahiezer was their chief, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel
and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Beracah and Jehu the Anathothite;
12:3 The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite;
and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite.
12:4 기브온 사람 곧 삼십 인 중에 용사요 삼십 인의 두목 된 이스마야며 또 예레미야와
야하시엘과 요하난과 그데라 사람 요사밧과
12:4 And Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a great man among the thirty, and their chief; and Jeremiah
and Jehaziel and Johanan and Jozabad the Gederathite;
12:4 And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the
thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
12:5 엘루새와 여리못과 브아랴와 스마랴와 하룹 사람 스바댜와
12:5 Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
12:5 Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the
Haruphite,
12:6 고라 사람들 엘가나와 잇시야와 아사렐과 요에셀과 야소브암이며
12:6 Elkanah and Isshiah and Azarel and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;

12:7 그돌 사람 여로함의 아들 요엘라와 스바댜더라
12:7 And Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

12:8 ○ 갓 사람 중에서 거친 땅 견고한 곳에 이르러 다윗에게 돌아온 자가 있었으니
다 용사요 싸움에 익숙하여 방패와 창을 능히 쓰는 자라 그 얼굴은 사자 같고 빠르기는
산의 사슴 같으니
12:8 And some of the Gadites, siding with David, went to his strong place in the waste
land, great and strong men, trained for war, expert in the use of arms, whose faces
were like the faces of lions, and they were quick-footed like roes on the mountains;
12:8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold
to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could
handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were
as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
12:9 그 두목은 에셀이요 둘째는 오바댜요 세째는 엘리압이요
12:9 Ezer their chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

12:10 네째는 미스만나요 다섯째는 예레미야요

12:14 이 갓 자손이 군대 장관이 되어 그 작은 자는 일백 인을 관할하고 그 큰

12:14 These Gadites were captains of the army; the least of them was captain over a hundred
men, and the greatest over a thousand.
12:14 These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least
was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
12:15 정월에 요단 강 물이 모든 언덕에 넘칠 때에 이 무리가 강물을 건너서 골짜기에
있는 모든 자로 동서로 도망하게 하였더라
12:15 It was they who went over Jordan in the first month, when the river was overflowing,
and put to flight all the people of the valleys, to the east and to the west.
12:15 These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had
overflowed all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both
toward the east, and toward the west.
12:16 ○ 베냐민과 유다 자손 중에서 견고한 곳에 이르러 다윗에게 나오매
12:16 And some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to David in his strong place.
12:16 And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto
David.
12:17 다윗이 나가서 맞아 저희에게 일러 가로되 만일 너희가 평화로이 와서 나를
돕고자 하면 내 마음이 너희와 연합하려니와 만일 너희가 나를 속여 내 대적에게
붙이고자 하면 내 손에 불의함이 없으니 우리 열조의 하나님이 감찰하시고 책망하시기를
원하노라 하매
12:17 And David went out to them, and said to them, If you have come in peace to give
me help, my heart will be united with yours; but if you have come to give me up
to those who would take my life, though my hands are clean from wrongdoing, then
may the God of our fathers see it and give you punishment.
12:17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If
all of you be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto
you: but if all of you be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is
no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
12:18 때에 성신이 삼십 인의 두목 아마새에게 감동하시니 가로되 다윗이여 우리가
당신에게 속하겠고 이새의 아들이여 우리가 당신과 함께 하리니 원컨대 평강하소서
당신도 평강하고 당신을 돕는 자에게도 평강이 있을지니 이는 당신의 하나님이 당신을
도우심이니이다 한지라 다윗이 드디어 접대하여 세워 군대 장관을 삼았더라
12:18 Then the spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, We are
yours, David, we are on your side, O son of Jesse: may peace be with you and peace
be with your helpers; for God is your helper. Then David took them into his army
and made them captains of the band.
12:18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and
he said, Yours are we, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace
be unto you, and peace be to yours helpers; for your God helps you. Then David
received them, and made them captains of the band.
12:19 ○ 다윗이 전에 블레셋 사람과 함께 가서 사울을 치려 할 때에 므낫세 지파에서
두어 사람이 다윗에게 돌아왔으나 다윗 등이 블레셋 사람을 돕지 못하였음은 블레셋
사람의 방백이 서로 의논하고 보내며 이르기를 저가 그 주 사울에게로 돌아가리니
우리 머리가 위태할까 하노라 함이라
12:19 And some of the men of Manasseh came over to David, when he went with the Philistines
to the war against Saul, but he gave them no help: for the lords of the Philistines,
after discussion, sent him away, saying, He will go back to his master Saul, at
the price of our lives.
12:19 And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines
against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines
upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the
jeopardy of our heads.
12:20 다윗이 시글락으로 갈 때에 므낫세 지파에서 그에게로 돌아온 자는 아드나와
요사밧과 여디아엘과 미가엘과 요사밧과 엘리후와 실르대니 다 므낫세의 천부장이라
12:20 Then when he went back to Ziklag, there came over to him, of the men of Manasseh,
Adnah and Jozabad and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad and Elihu and Zillethai, captains
of thousands from the armies of Manasseh.
12:20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad,
and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the
thousands that were of Manasseh.
12:21 이 무리가 다윗을 도와 적당을 쳤으니 저희는 다 큰 용사요 군대 장관이
됨이었더라
12:21 And they gave David help against the armed bands, for they were all great men of
war, and captains in the army.
12:21 And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were
all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
12:22 그 때에 사람이 날마다 다윗에게로 돌아와서 돕고자 하매 큰 군대를 이루어
하나님의 군대와 같았더라
12:22 And from day to day more supporters came to David, till he had a great army like
the army of God.
12:22 For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until
it was a great host, like the host of God.
12:23 ○ 싸움을 예비한 군대 장관들이 헤브론에 이르러 다윗에게로 나아와서
여호와의 말씀대로 사울의 나라를 저에게 돌리고자 하였으니 그 수효가 이러하였더라
12:23 These are the numbers of the chiefs of the armed men, ready for war, who came to
David at Hebron, to give the kingdom of Saul into his hands, as the Lord had said.
12:23 And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the
war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according
to the word of the LORD.
12:24 유다 자손 중에서 방패와 창을 들고 싸움을 예비한 자가 육천 팔백 명이요
12:24 There were six thousand, eight hundred spearmen of the children of Judah, armed
for war;
12:24 The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand
and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
12:25 시므온 자손 중에서 싸움하는 큰 용사가 칠천 일백 명이요
12:25 Seven thousand, one hundred of the children of Simeon, great men of war;
12:25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven
thousand and one hundred.
12:26 레위 자손 중에서 사천 육백 명이요
12:26 Of the children of Levi, four thousand, six hundred.
12:26 Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
12:27 아론의 집 족장 여호야다와 그와 함께 한 자가 삼천 칠백 명이요
12:27 And Jehoiada, chief of the family of Aaron, and with him three thousand, seven hundred
men;
12:27 And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three
thousand and seven hundred;
12:28 또 젊은 용사 사독과 그 족속의 장관이 이십 이 명이요
12:28 And Zadok, a young man, great and strong in war, with twenty-two captains from his
father's people.
12:28 And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house
twenty and two captains.
12:29 베냐민 자손 곧 사울의 동족은 아직도 태반이나 사울의 집을 좇으나 그
중에서 나아온 자가 삼천 명이요
12:29 And of the children of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, three thousand; for up to
that time the greater part of them had been true to Saul.
12:29 And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand:
for until now the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
12:30 에브라임 자손 중에서 본 족속의 유명한 큰 용사가 이만 팔백 명이요
12:30 And of the children of Ephraim, twenty thousand, eight hundred great men of war,
men of great name in their families.
12:30 And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty
men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
12:31 므낫세 반 지파 중에 녹명된 자로서 와서 다윗을 세워 왕을 삼으려 하는
자가 일만 팔천 명이요
12:31 And from the half-tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, listed by name, came to
make David king.
12:31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed
by name, to come and make David king.
12:32 잇사갈 자손 중에서 시세를 알고 이스라엘이 마땅히 행할 것을 아는 두목이
이백 명이니 저희는 그 모든 형제를 관할하는 자며
12:32 And of the children of Issachar, there were two hundred chiefs, men who had expert
knowledge of the times and what it was best for Israel to do, and all their brothers
were under their orders.
12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding
of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred;
and all their brethren were at their commandment.
12:33 스불론 중에서 모든 군기를 가지고 항오를 정제히 하고 두 마음을 품지
아니하고 능히 진에 나아가서 싸움을 잘하는 자가 오만 명이요
12:33 Of Zebulun, there were fifty thousand men, who went out with the army, expert in
ordering the fight, to give help with all sorts of arms; true-hearted men.
12:33 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments
of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
12:34 납달리 중에서 장관 일천 명과 방패와 창을 가지고 함께 한 자가 삼만 칠천
명이요
12:34 And of Naphtali, a thousand captains with thirty-seven thousand spearmen.
12:34 And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and
spear thirty and seven thousand.
12:35 단 자손 중에서 싸움을 잘하는 자가 이만 팔천 륙백 명이요
12:35 And of the Danites, twenty-eight thousand, six hundred, expert in ordering the fight.
12:35 And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six
hundred.
12:36 아셀 중에서 능히 진에 나가서 싸움을 잘하는 자가 사만 명이요
12:36 And of Asher, forty thousand who went out with the army, expert in ordering the
fight.
12:36 And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
12:37 요단 저편 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 모든 군기를
가지고 능히 싸우는 자가 십이만 명이었더라
12:37 From the other side of Jordan, there were a hundred and twenty thousand of the Reubenites
and the Gadites and the men of the half-tribe of Manasseh, armed with every sort
of instrument of war.
12:37 And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites,
and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for
the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
12:38 ○ 이 모든 군사가 항오를 정제히 하고 다 성심으로 헤브론에 이르러 다윗으로
온 이스라엘 왕을 삼고자 하고 또 이스라엘의 남은 자도 다 일심으로 다윗으로 왕을
삼고자 하여
12:38 All these men of war, expert in ordering the fight, came to Hebron with the full
purpose of making David king over all Israel; and all the rest of Israel were united
in their desire to make David king.
12:38 All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart
to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel
were of one heart to make David king.
12:39 무리가 거기서 다윗과 함께 사흘을 지내며 먹고 마셨으니 이는 그 형제가
이미 식물을 예비하였음이며
12:39 For three days they were there with David, feasting at his table, for their brothers
had made ready food for them.
12:39 And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for
their brethren had prepared for them.
12:40 또 근처에 있는 자로부터 잇사갈과 스불론과 납달리까지도 식물을 나귀와
약대와 노새와 소에 무수히 실어 왔으니 곧 과자와 무화과병과 건포도와 포도주와
기름이요 소와 양도 많이 가져왔으니 이스라엘 가운데 희락이 있음이었더라
12:40 And those who were near, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came with
food on asses and camels and mules and oxen, with meal for food and cakes of figs
and masses of grapes, and wine and oil and oxen and sheep in great numbers, for
there was joy in Israel.
12:40 Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and
Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen,
and food, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and
oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.
13:1 다윗이 천부장과 백부장 곧 모든 장수로 더불어 의논하고
13:1 Then David had discussions with the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds
and with every chief.
13:1 And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and
with every leader.
13:2 이스라엘의 온 회중에게 이르되 만일 너희가 선히 여기고 또 우리의 하나님
여호와께로 말미암았으면 우리가 이스라엘 온 땅에 남아 있는 우리 형제와 또 저희와
함께 들어 있는 성읍에 거하는 제사장과 레위 사람에게 보내어 저희를 우리에게로
모이게 하고
13:2 And David said to all the men of Israel who had come together there, If it seems
good to you and if it is the purpose of the Lord our God, let us send to all the
rest of our brothers, everywhere in the land of Israel, and to the priests and the
Levites in their towns and the country round them, and get them to come together
here to us;
13:2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good
unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren
every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to
the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may
gather themselves unto us:
13:3 우리가 우리 하나님의 궤를 옮겨 오자 사울 때에는 우리가 궤 앞에서 묻지
아니하였느니라 하매
13:3 And let us get back for ourselves the ark of our God: for in the days of Saul we
did not go to it for directions.
13:3 And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not
at it in the days of Saul.
13:4 뭇 백성이 이 일을 선히 여기므로 온 회중이 그대로 행하겠다 한지라
13:4 And all the people said they would do so, for it seemed right to them.
13:4 And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was
right in the eyes of all the people.
13:5 이에 다윗이 애굽의 시홀 시내에서부터 하맛 어귀까지 온 이스라엘을 불러
모으고 기럇여아림에서부터 하나님의 궤를 메어 오고자 할새
13:5 So David sent for all Israel to come together, from Shihor, the river of Egypt,
as far as the way into Hamath, to get the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
13:5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto
the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
13:6 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 거느리고 바알라 곧 유다에 속한 기럇여아림에 올라가서
여호와 하나님의 궤를 메어오려 하니 이는 여호와께서 두 그룹 사이에 계시므로 그
이름으로 일컫는 궤라
13:6 And David went up, with all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim in Judah,
to get up from there the ark of God, over which the holy Name is named, the name
of the Lord whose place is between the winged ones.
13:6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim,
which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwells
between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
13:7 하나님의 궤를 새 수레에 싣고 아비나답의 집에서 나오는데 웃사와 아히오는
수레를 몰며
13:7 And they put the ark of God on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab;
and Uzza and Ahio were the drivers of the cart.
13:7 And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab:
and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
13:8 다윗과 이스라엘 온 무리는 하나님 앞에서 힘을 다하여 뛰놀며 노래하며
수금과 비파와 소고와 제금과 나팔로 주악하니라
13:8 Then David and all Israel made melody before God with all their strength, with songs
and corded instruments of music, and with brass instruments and horns.
13:8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and
with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with
cymbals, and with trumpets.
13:9 ○ 기돈의 타작 마당에 이르러서는 소들이 뛰므로 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를
붙들었더니
13:9 And when they came to the grain-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to keep the
ark in its place, for the oxen were slipping.
13:9 And when they came unto the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth
his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
13:10 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를 붙듦을 인하여 여호와께서 진노하사 치시매 웃사가
거기 하나님 앞에서 죽으니라
13:10 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzza, sent destruction on him because
he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there before God.
13:10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he stroke him,
because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
13:11 여호와께서 웃사를 충돌하시므로 다윗이 분하여 그 곳을 베레스 웃사라 칭하니
그 이름이 오늘날까지 이르니라
13:11 And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzza, and he
gave that place the name Perez-uzza, to this day.
13:11 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza:
wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
13:12 그 날에 다윗이 하나님을 두려워하여 가로되 내가 어찌 하나님의 궤를 내
곳으로 오게 하리요 하고
13:12 And so great was David's fear of God that day, that he said, How may I let the ark
of God come to me?
13:12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the
ark of God home to me?
13:13 궤를 옮겨 다윗 성 자기에게 메어들이지 못하고 치우쳐 가드 사람 오벧에돔의
집으로 메어가니라
13:13 So David did not let the ark come back to him to the town of David, but had it turned
away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
13:13 So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David,
but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
13:14 하나님의 궤가 오벧에돔의 집에서 그 권속과 함께 석 달을 있으니라 여호와께서
오벧에돔의 집과 그 모든 소유에 복을 내리셨더라
13:14 And the ark of God was in the house of Obed-edom for three months; and the Lord
sent a blessing on the house of Obed-edom and on all he had.
13:14 And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house
three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.
14:1 두로 왕 히람이 다윗에게 사자들과 백향목과 석수와 목수를 보내어 그 궁궐을
건축하게 하였더라
14:1 And Hiram, king of Tyre, sent men to David with cedar-trees, and stoneworkers and
woodworkers for the building of his house.
14:1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars,
with stone workers and carpenters, to build him an house.
14:2 다윗이 여호와께서 자기로 이스라엘 왕을 삼으신 줄을 깨달았으니 이는 그
백성 이스라엘을 위하여 나라를 진흥하게 하셨음이더라
14:2 And David saw that the Lord had made his position safe as king over Israel, lifting
up his kingdom on high because of his people Israel.
14:2 And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel,
for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
14:3 ○ 다윗이 예루살렘에서 또 아내들을 취하여 또 자녀를 낳았으니
14:3 And while he was living in Jerusalem, David took more wives and became the father
of more sons and daughters.
14:3 And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David brings forth more
sons and daughters.
14:4 예루살렘에서 낳은 아들들의 이름은 삼무아와 소밥과 나단과 솔로몬과
14:4 These are the names of the children he had in Jerusalem: Shammua and Shobab, Nathan
and Solomon
14:4 Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua,
and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
14:5 입할과 엘리수아와 엘벨렛과
14:5 And Ibhar and Elishua and Elpelet
14:5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
14:6 노가와 네벡과 야비아와
14:6 And Nogah and Nepheg and Japhia
14:6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
14:7 엘리사마와 브엘랴다와 엘리벨렛이었더라
14:7 And Elishama and Beeliada and Eliphelet.
14:7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
14:8 ○ 다윗이 기름 부음을 받아 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되었다 함을 블레셋 사람이
듣고 다윗을 찾으러 다 올라오매 다윗이 듣고 방비하러 나갔으나
14:8 And when the Philistines had news that David had been made king over all Israel,
they went up in search of David, and David, hearing of it, went out against them.
14:8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all
Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and
went out against them.
14:9 블레셋 사람이 이미 이르러 르바임 골짜기를 침범하였는지라
14:9 Now the Philistines had come, and had gone out in every direction in the valley
of Rephaim.
14:9 And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
14:10 다윗이 하나님께 물어 가로되 내가 블레셋 사람을 치러 올라가리이까 주께서
저희를 내 손에 붙이시겠나이까 여호와께서 이르시되 올라가라 내가 저희를 네 손에
붙이리라 하신지라
14:10 And David, desiring directions from God, said, Am I to go up against the Philistines?
and will you give them into my hands? And the Lord said, Go up; for I will give
them into your hands.
14:10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines?
And will you deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up;
for I will deliver them into yours hand.
14:11 이에 무리가 바알부라심으로 올라갔더니 다윗이 거기서 저희를 치고 가로되
하나님이 물을 흩음 같이 내 손으로 내 대적을 흩으셨다 함으로 그 곳 이름을 바알브라심이라
칭하니라
14:11 So they went up to Baal-perazim, and David overcame them there, and David said,
God has let the forces fighting against me be broken by my hand, as a wall is broken
down by rushing water; so they gave that place the name of Baal-perazim.
14:11 So they came up to Baalperazim; and David stroke them there. Then David
said, God has broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking out
of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.
14:12 블레셋 사람이 그 우상을 그 곳에 버렸으므로 다윗이 명하여 불에 사르니라
14:12 And the Philistines did not take their images with them in their flight; and at
David's orders they were burned with fire.
14:12 And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment,
and they were burned with fire.
14:13 ○ 블레셋 사람이 다시 골짜기를 침범한지라
14:13 Then the Philistines again went out in every direction in the valley.
14:13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.
14:14 다윗이 또 하나님께 묻자온대 하나님이 이르시되 마주 올라가지 말고 저희
뒤로 돌아 뽕나무 수풀 맞은편에서 저희를 엄습하되
14:14 And David went for directions to God; and God said to him, You are not to go up
after them; but, turning away from them, come face to face with them opposite the
spice-trees.
14:14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not
up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them opposite to the mulberry
trees.
14:15 뽕나무 꼭대기에서 걸음 걷는 소리가 들리거든 곧 나가서 싸우라 하나님이
네 앞서 나아가서 블레셋 사람의 군대를 치리라 하신지라
14:15 And at the sound of footsteps in the tops of the trees, go out to the fight, for
God has gone out before you to overcome the army of the Philistines.
14:15 And it shall be, when you shall hear a sound of going in the tops of
the mulberry trees, that then you shall go out to battle: for God is gone forth
before you to strike the host of the Philistines.
14:16 이에 다윗이 하나님의 명대로 행하여 블레셋 사람의 군대를 쳐서 기브온에서부터
게셀까지 이르렀더니
14:16 And David did as the Lord had said; and they overcame the army of the Philistines,
attacking them from Gibeon as far as Gezer.
14:16 David therefore did as God commanded him: and they stroke the host
of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.
14:17 다윗의 명성이 열국에 퍼졌고 여호와께서 열국으로 저를 두려워하게 하셨더라
14:17 And David's name was honoured in all lands; and the Lord put the fear of him on
all nations.
14:17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought
the fear of him upon all nations.
15:1 다윗이 다윗 성에서 자기를 위하여 왕궁을 세우고 또 하나님의 궤를 위하여
처소를 예비하고 위하여 장막을 치고
15:1 And David made houses for himself in the town of David; and he got ready a place
for the ark of God, and put up a tent for it.
15:1 And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place
for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
15:2 가로되 레위 사람 외에는 하나님의 궤를 멜 수 없나니 이는 여호와께서 저희를
택하사 하나님의 궤를 메고 영원히 저를 섬기게 하셨음이니라 하고
15:2 Then David said, The ark of God may not be moved by any but the Levites, for they
have been marked out by God to take the ark of God, and to do his work for ever.
15:2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites:
for them has the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him
for ever.
15:3 이스라엘 온 무리를 예루살렘으로 모으고 여호와의 궤를 그 예비한 곳으로
메어 올리고자 하여
15:3 And David made all Israel come together at Jerusalem, to take the ark of the Lord
to its place, which he had got ready for it.
15:3 And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the
ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
15:4 아론 자손과 레위 사람을 모으니
15:4 And David got together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites;
15:4 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
15:5 그핫 자손 중에 족장 우리엘과 그 형제 일백 이십 인이요
15:5 Of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brothers, a hundred and twenty;
15:5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred
and twenty:
15:6 므라리 자손 중에 족장 아사야와 그 형제 이백 이십 인이요
15:6 Of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brothers, two hundred and twenty;

15:7 게르솜 자손 중에 족장 요엘과 그 형제 일백 삼십 인이요

15:10 웃시엘 자손 중에 족장 암미나답과 그 형제 일백 십 이 인이라
15:10 Of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brothers, a hundred and twelve.

15:11 다윗이 제사장 사독과 아비아달을 부르고 또 레위 사람 우리엘과 아사야와
요엘과 스마야와 엘리엘과 암미나답을 불러
15:11 And David sent for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, Uriel, Asaiah
and Joel, Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab,
15:11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites,
for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
15:12 저희에게 이르되 너희는 레위 사람의 족장이니 너희와 너희 형제는 몸을
성결케 하고 내가 예비한 곳으로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메어 올리라
15:12 And said to them, You are the heads of the families of the Levites: make yourselves
holy, you and your brothers, so that you may take the ark of the Lord, the God of
Israel, to the place which I have made ready for it.
15:12 And said unto them, All of you are the chief of the fathers of the
Levites: sanctify yourselves, both all of you and your brethren, that all of
you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have
prepared for it.
15:13 전에는 너희가 메지 아니하였으므로 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 충돌하셨나니
이는 우리가 규례대로 저에게 구하지 아니하였음이니라
15:13 For because you did not take it at the first, the Lord our God sent punishment on
us, because we did not get directions from him in the right way.
15:13 For because all of you did it not at the first, the LORD our God made
a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
15:14 이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메고 올라가려
하여 몸을 성결케하고
15:14 So the priests and the Levites made themselves holy to take up the ark of the Lord,
the God of Israel.
15:14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the
ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15:15 모세가 여호와의 말씀을 따라 명한 대로 레위 자손이 채로 하나님의 궤를
꿰어 어깨에 메니라
15:15 And the sons of the Levites took up the ark of God, lifting it by its rods, as the
Lord had said to Moses.
15:15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders
with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
15:16 ○ 다윗이 레위 사람의 어른들에게 명하여 그 형제 노래하는 자를 세우고
비파와 수금과 제금 등의 악기를 울려서 즐거운 소리를 크게 내라 하매
15:16 And David gave orders to the chief of the Levites to put their brothers the music-makers
in position, with instruments of music, corded instruments and brass, with glad
voices making sounds of joy.
15:16 And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren
to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals,
sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
15:17 레위 사람이 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그 형제 중 베레야의 아들 아삽과 그 동종
므라리 자손 중에 구사야의 아들 에단을 세우고
15:17 So Heman, the son of Joel, and, of his brothers, Asaph, the son of Berechiah; and
of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan, the son of Kushaiah, were put in position
by the Levites;
15:17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren,
Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan
the son of Kushaiah;
15:18 그 다음으로 형제 스가랴와 벤과 야아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와
엘리압과 브나야와 마아세야와 맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 문지기 오벧에돔과
여이엘을 세우니
15:18 And with them their brothers of the second order, Zechariah, Bani and Jaaziel and
Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni, Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and
Eliphelehu and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom and Jeiel, the door-keepers.
15:18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben,
and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and
Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel,
the porters.
15:19 노래하는 자 헤만과 아삽과 에단은 놋제금을 크게 치는 자요
15:19 So those who made melody, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were put in position, with brass
instruments, sounding loudly;
15:19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with
cymbals of brass;
15:20 스가랴와 아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 마아세야와 브나야는
비파를 타서 여창에 맞추는 자요
15:20 And Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel, Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah
and Benaiah, with corded instruments put to Alamoth.
15:20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and
Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
15:21 맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 오벧에돔과 여이엘과 아사시야는 수금을
타서 여덟째 음에 맞추어 인도하는 자요
15:21 And Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah,
with corded instruments on the octave, to give the first note of the song.
15:21 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel,
and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
15:22 레위 사람의 족장 그나냐는 노래에 익숙하므로 노래를 주장하여 사람에게
가르치는 자요
15:22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was master of the music: he gave directions
about the song, because he was expert.
15:22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about
the song, because he was skilful.
15:23 베레갸와 엘가나는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는 자요
15:23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were door-keepers for the ark.
15:23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
15:24 제사장 스바냐와 요사밧과 느다넬과 아미새와 스가랴와 브나야와 엘리에셀은
하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 부는 자요 오벧에돔과 여히야는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는
자더라
15:24 And Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and
Eliezer, the priests, made music on the horns before the ark of God; and Obed-edom
and Jehiah were door-keepers for the ark.
15:24 And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah,
and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the
ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
15:25 ○ 이에 다윗과 이스라엘 장로들과 천부장들이 가서 여호와의 언약궤를
즐거이 메고 오벧에돔의 집에서 올라왔는데
15:25 So David, and the responsible men of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went
with joy to get the ark of the agreement of the Lord out of the house of Obed-edom.
15:25 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands,
went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom
with joy.
15:26 하나님이 여호와의 언약궤를 멘 레위 사람을 도우셨으므로 무리가 수송아지
일곱과 수양 일곱으로 제사를 드렸더라
15:26 And when God gave help to the Levites who were lifting up the ark of the agreement
of the Lord, they made an offering of seven oxen and seven sheep.
15:26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark
of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
15:27 다윗과 궤를 멘 레위 사람과 노래하는 자와 그 두목 그나냐와 모든 노래하는
자도 다 세마포 겉옷을 입었으며 다윗은 또 베 에봇을 입었고
15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fair linen, as were all the Levites who took
up the ark, and those who made melody, and Chenaniah the master of those who made
melody; and David had on a linen ephod;
15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites
that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with
the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
15:28 이스라엘 무리는 크게 부르며 각과 나팔을 불며 제금을 치며 비파와 수금을
힘있게 타며 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 올렸더라
15:28 So all Israel took up the ark of the agreement of the Lord, with loud cries and
with horns and brass and corded instruments sounding loudly.
15:28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with
shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals,
making a noise with psalteries and harps.
15:29 여호와의 언약궤가 다윗 성으로 들어 올 때에 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내어다보다가
다윗 왕의 춤추며 뛰노는 것을 보고 심중에 업신여겼더라
15:29 And when the ark of the agreement of the Lord came into the town of David, Michal,
the daughter of Saul, looking out of the window, saw King David dancing and playing;
and to her mind he seemed foolish.
15:29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to
the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window
saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
16:1 하나님의 궤를 메고 들어가서 다윗이 위하여 친 장막 가운데 두고 번제와
화목제를 하나님 앞에 드리니라
16:1 Then they took in the ark of God and put it inside the tent which David had put
up for it; and they made offerings, burned offerings and peace-offerings before
God.
16:1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent
that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings
before God.
16:2 다윗이 번제와 화목제 드리기를 마치고 여호와의 이름으로 백성에게 축복하고
16:2 And when David had come to an end of making the burned offerings and peace-offerings,
he gave the people a blessing in the name of the Lord.
16:2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the
peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
16:3 또 이스라엘 무리의 무론 남녀하고 매 명에 떡 한 덩이와 고기 한 조각과
건포도병 하나씩 나누어 주었더라
16:3 And he gave to everyone, every man and woman of Israel, a cake of bread, some meat,
and a cake of dry grapes.
16:3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one
a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
16:4 ○ 또 레위 사람을 세워 여호와의 궤 앞에서 섬기며 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를
칭송하며 감사하며 찬양하게 하였으니
16:4 And he put some of the Levites before the ark of the Lord as servants, to keep the
acts of the Lord in memory, and to give worship and praise to the Lord, the God
of Israel:
16:4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of
the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
16:5 그 두목은 아삽이요 다음은 스가랴와 여이엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 맛디디아와
엘리압과 브나야와 오벧에돔과 여이엘이라 비파와 수금을 타고 아삽은 제금을 힘있게
치고
16:5 Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Uzziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel
and Mattithiah and Eliab and Benaiah and Obed-edom and Jeiel, with corded instruments
of music; and Asaph, with brass instruments sounding loudly;
16:5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth,
and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel
with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
16:6 제사장 브나야와 야하시엘은 항상 하나님의 언약궤 앞에서 나팔을 부니라
16:6 And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests, blowing horns all the time before the ark
of the agreement of God.
16:6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before
the ark of the covenant of God.
16:7 ○ 그 날에 다윗이 아삽과 그 형제를 세워 위선 여호와께 감사하게 하여
이르기를
16:7 Then on that day David first made the giving of praise to the Lord the work of Asaph
and his brothers.
16:7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD
into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
16:8 너희는 여호와께 감사하며 그 이름을 불러 아뢰며 그 행사를 만민
중에 알게 할지어다
16:8 O give praise to the Lord; give honour to his name, talking of his doings among
the peoples.
16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds
among the people.
16:9 그에게 노래하며 그를 찬양하며 그 모든 기사를 말할지어다
16:9 Let your voice be sounded in songs and melody; let all your thoughts be of the wonder
of his works.
16:9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk all of you of all his wondrous works.
16:10 그 성호를 자랑하라 무릇 여호와를 구하는 자는 마음이 즐거울지로다
16:10 Have glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who are searching after the
Lord be glad.
16:10 Glory all of you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that
seek the LORD.
16:11 여호와와 그 능력을 구할지어다 그 얼굴을 항상 구할지어다
16:11 Let your search be for the Lord and for his strength; let your hearts ever be turned
to him.
16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
16:12-13 그 종 이스라엘의 후손 곧 택하신 야곱의 자손 너희는 그 행하신
기사와 그 이적과 그 입의 판단을 기억할지어다
16:12 Keep in mind the great works which he has done; his wonders, and the decisions of
his mouth;
16:12 Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the
judgments of his mouth;
16:13 O you seed of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his loved ones.
16:13 O all of you seed of Israel his servant, all of you children of Jacob,
his chosen ones.
16:14 그는 여호와 우리 하나님이시라 그의 판단이 온 땅에 있도다
16:14 He is the Lord our God: he is judge of all the earth.
16:14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
16:15 너희는 그 언약 곧 천 대에 명하신 말씀을 영원히 기억할지어다
16:15 He has kept his agreement in mind for ever, the word which he gave for a thousand
generations;
16:15 Be all of you mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded
to a thousand generations;
16:16 이것은 아브라함에게 하신 언약이며 이삭에게 하신 맹세며
16:16 The agreement which he made with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac;
16:16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto
Isaac;
16:17 이는 야곱에게 세우신 율례 곧 이스라엘에게 하신 영원한 언약이라
16:17 And he gave it to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an eternal agreement;
16:17 And has confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an
everlasting covenant,
16:18 이르시기를 내가 가나안 땅을 네게 주어 너희 기업의 지경이 되게
하리라 하셨도다
16:18 Saying, To you will I give the land of Canaan, the measured line of your heritage:
16:18 Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
16:19 때에 너희 인수가 적어서 매우 영성하며 그 땅에 객이 되어
16:19 When you were still small in number, and strange in the land;
16:19 When all of you were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
16:20 이 족속에게서 저 족속에게로, 이 나라에서 다른 민족에게로 유리하였도다
16:20 When they went about from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another
people;
16:20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another
people;
16:21 사람이 그들을 해하기를 용납지 아니하시고 그들의 연고로 열왕을
꾸짖어
16:21 He would not let anyone do them wrong; he even kept back kings because of them,
16:21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their
sakes,
16:22 이르시기를 나의 기름 부은 자를 만지지 말며 나의 선지자를 상하지
말라 하셨도다
16:22 Saying, Put not your hand on those who have been marked with my holy oil, and do
my prophets no wrong.
16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16:23 온 땅이여 여호와께 노래하며 그 구원을 날마다 선포할지어다
16:23 Make songs to the Lord, all the earth; give the good news of his salvation day by
day.
16:23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.
16:24 그 영광을 열방 중에, 그 기이한 행적을 만민 중에 선포할지어다
16:24 Make clear his glory to the nations, and his wonders to all the peoples.
16:24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all
nations.
16:25 여호와는 광대하시니 극진히 찬양할 것이요 모든 신보다 경외할 것임이여
16:25 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; and he is more to be feared than
all other gods.
16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be
feared above all gods.
16:26 만방의 모든 신은 헛 것이요 여호와께서는 하늘을 지으셨음이로다
16:26 For all the gods of the nations are false gods; but the Lord made the heavens.
16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
16:27 ○ 존귀와 위엄이 그 앞에 있으며 능력과 즐거움이 그 처소에 있도다
16:27 Honour and glory are before him: strength and joy are in his holy place.
16:27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in
his place.
16:28 만방의 족속들아 영광과 권능을 여호와께 돌릴지어다 여호와께 돌릴지어다
16:28 Give to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength.
16:28 Give unto the LORD, all of you families of the people, give unto the
LORD glory and strength.
16:29 여호와의 이름에 합당한 영광을 그에게 돌릴지어다 예물을 가지고
그 앞에 들어갈지어다 아름답고 거룩한 것으로 여호와께 경배할지어다
16:29 Give to the Lord the glory of his name; take with you an offering and come before
him; give worship to the Lord in holy robes.
16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering,
and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
16:30 온 땅이여 그 앞에서 떨지어다 세계가 굳게 서고 흔들리지 못하는도다
16:30 Be in fear before him, all the earth: the world is ordered so that it may not be
moved.
16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that
it be not moved.
16:31 하늘은 기뻐하고 땅은 즐거워하며 열방 중에서는 이르기를 여호와께서
통치하신다 할지로다
16:31 Let the heavens have joy and let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations,
The Lord is King.
16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say
among the nations, The LORD reigns.
16:32 바다와 거기 충만한 것이 외치며 밭과 그 가운데 모든 것은 즐거워할지로다
16:32 Let the sea be thundering with all its waters; let the field be glad, and everything
which is in it;
16:32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice,
and all that is therein.
16:33 그리 할 때에 삼림의 나무들이 여호와 앞에서 즐거이 노래하리니
주께서 땅을 심판하려 오실 것임이로다
16:33 Then let all the trees of the wood be sounding with joy before the Lord, for he
is come to be the judge of the earth.
16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD,
because he comes to judge the earth.
16:34 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다
16:34 O give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endures
for ever.
16:35 너희는 이르기를 우리의 구원의 하나님이여 우리를 구원하여 만국
가운데서 건져내시고 모으시사 우리로 주의 성호를 감사하며 주의 영예를 찬양하게
하소서 할지어다
16:35 And say, Be our saviour, O God of our salvation, and let us come back, and give
us salvation from the nations, so that we may give honour to your holy name and
have glory in your praise.
16:35 And say all of you, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us
together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy
name, and glory in your praise.
16:36 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님을 영원부터 영원까지 송축할지로다
하매 모든 백성이 아멘 하고 여호와를 찬양하였더라
16:36 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, for ever and for ever. And all the people
said, So be it; and gave praise to the Lord.
16:36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people
said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
16:37 다윗이 아삽과 그 형제를 여호와의 언약궤 앞에 머물러 항상 그 궤 앞에서
섬기게 하되 날마다 그 일대로 하게 하였고
16:37 So he made Asaph and his brothers keep their places there before the ark of the
agreement of the Lord, to do whatever had to be done before the ark at all times
day by day:
16:37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and
his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
16:38 오벧에돔과 그 형제 육십 팔 인과 여두둔의 아들 오벧에돔과 호사로 문지기를
삼았고
16:38 And Obed-edom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, with their brothers, sixty-eight
of them, to be door-keepers:
16:38 And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also
the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
16:39 제사장 사독과 그 형제 제사장들로 기브온 산당에서 여호와의 성막 앞에
모시게 하여
16:39 And Zadok the priest, with his brothers the priests, before the House of the Lord
in the high place at Gibeon;
16:39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle
of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
16:40 항상 조석으로 번제단 위에 여호와께 번제를 드리되 여호와의 율법에 기록하여
이스라엘에게 명하신 대로 다 준행하게 하였고
16:40 To give burned offerings to the Lord on the altar of burned offerings morning and
evening, every day, as it is ordered in the law of the Lord which he gave to Israel;
16:40 To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt
offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is
written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
16:41 또 저희와 함께 헤만과 여두둔과 그 남아 택함을 받고 녹명된 자를 세워
여호와의 자비하심이 영원함을 인하여 감사하게 하였고
16:41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were marked out by name to give
praise to the Lord, for his mercy is unchanging for ever;
16:41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who
were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endures
for ever;
16:42 또 저희와 함께 헤만과 여두둔을 세워 나팔과 제금들과 하나님을 찬송하는
악기로 소리를 크게 내게 하였고 또 여두둔의 아들로 문을 지키게 하였더라
16:42 And Heman and Jeduthun had horns and brass instruments sounding loudly, and instruments
of music for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun were to be at the door.
16:42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those
that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons
of Jeduthun were porters.
16:43 이에 뭇 백성은 각각 그 집으로 돌아가고 다윗도 자기 집을 위하여 축복하려고
돌아갔더라
16:43 And all the people went away, every man to his house; and David went back to give
a blessing to his family.
16:43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned
to bless his house.
17:1 다윗이 그 궁실에 거할 때에 선지자 나단에게 이르되 나는 백향목 궁에 거하거늘
여호와의 언악궤는 휘장 밑에 있도다
17:1 Now when David was living in his house, he said to Nathan the prophet, See, I am
living in a house of cedar-wood, but the ark of the Lord's agreement is under the
curtains of a tent.
17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan
the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant
of the LORD remains under curtains.
17:2 나단이 다윗에게 고하되 하나님이 왕과 함께 계시니 무릇 마음에 있는 바를
행하소서
17:2 And Nathan said to David, Do whatever is in your heart, for God is with you.
17:2 Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in yours heart; for God
is with you.
17:3 그 밤에 하나님의 말씀이 나단에게 임하여 가라사대
17:3 But that same night, the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
17:3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan,
saying,
17:4 가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀이 너는 나의 거할 집을 건축하지
말라
17:4 Go and say to David my servant, The Lord says, You are not to make me a house for
my living-place:
17:4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build
me an house to dwell in:
17:5 내가 이스라엘을 올라오게 한 날부터 오늘날까지 집에 거하지 아니하고 오직
이 장막과 저 장막에 있으며 이 성막과 저 성막에 있었나니
17:5 For from the day when I took Israel up, till this day, I have had no house, but
have gone from tent to tent, and from living-place to living-place.
17:5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel
unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
17:6 무릇 이스라엘 무리로 더불어 행하는 곳에서 내가 내 백성을 먹이라고 명한
이스라엘 어느 사사에게 내가 말하기를 너희가 어찌하여 나를 위하여 백향목 집을
건축하지 아니하였느냐고 말하였느냐 하고
17:6 In all the places where I have gone with all Israel, did I ever say to any of the
judges of Israel, whom I made the keepers of my people, Why have you not made for
me a house of cedar?
17:6 Where ever I have walked with all Israel, spoke I a word to any of the
judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have all of
you not built me an house of cedars?
17:7 연하여 내 종 다윗에게 이처럼 말하라 만군의 여호와께서 이처럼 말씀하시기를
내가 너를 목장 곧 양을 따르는 데서 취하여 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자를 삼고
17:7 So now, say to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from the fields,
from keeping sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people Israel;
17:7 Now therefore thus shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the
LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep,
that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
17:8 네가 어디를 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 모든 대적을 네 앞에서 멸하였은즉
세상에서 존귀한 자의 이름 같은 이름을 네게 만들어 주리라
17:8 And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who
were against you; and I will make your name like the name of the greatest ones of
the earth.
17:8 And I have been with you anywhere you have walked, and have cut off
all yours enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of
the great men that are in the earth.
17:9 내가 또 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 한 곳을 정하여 저희를 심고 저희로
자기 곳에 거하여 다시는 옮기지 않게 하며 악한 유로 전과 같이 저희를 해하지 못하게
하여
17:9 And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that
they may be in the place which is theirs and never again be moved; and never again
will they be made waste by evil men, as they were at first,
17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them,
and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall
the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
17:10 전에 내가 사사를 명하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리던 때와 같지 않게
하고 또 네 모든 대적으로 네게 복종하게 하리라 또 네게 이르노니 여호와가 너를
위하여 집을 세울지라
17:10 From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will overcome all those
who are against you; and I will make you great and the head of a line of kings.
17:10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel.
Moreover I will subdue all yours enemies. Furthermore I tell you that the LORD
will build you an house.
17:11 네 수한이 차서 네가 열조에게로 돌아가면 내가 네 뒤에 네 씨 곧 네 아들
중 하나를 세우고 그 나라를 견고하게 하리니
17:11 And when the time comes for you to go to your fathers, I will put in your place
your seed after you, one of your sons, and I will make his kingdom strong.
17:11 And it shall come to pass, when your days be expired that you must
go to be with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which
shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
17:12 저는 나를 위하여 집을 건축할 것이요 나는 그 위를 영원히 견고하게 하리라
17:12 He will be the builder of my house, and I will make the seat of his authority certain
for ever.
17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever.
17:13 나는 그 아비가 되고 그는 나의 아들이 되리니 나의 자비를 그에게서 빼앗지
아니하기를 내가 네 전에 있던 자에게서 빼앗음과 같이 하지 않을 것이며
17:13 I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son; and I will not take my mercy
away from him as I took it from him who was before you;
17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my
mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you:
17:14 내가 영영히 그를 내 집과 내 나라에 세우리니 그 위가 영원히 견고하리라
하셨다 하라
17:14 But I will make his place in my house and in my kingdom certain for ever; and the
seat of his authority will never be overturned.
17:14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and
his throne shall be established for evermore.
17:15 나단이 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 묵시대로 다윗에게 고하니라
17:15 So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision.
17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so
did Nathan speak unto David.
17:16 ○ 다윗 왕이 여호와 앞에 들어가 앉아서 가로되 여호와 하나님이여 나는
누구오며 내 집은 무엇이관대 나로 이에 이르게 하셨나이까
17:16 Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am
I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now?
17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I,
O LORD God, and what is mine house, that you have brought me until now?
17:17 하나님이여 주께서 이것을 오히려 작게 여기시고 또 종의 집에 대하여 먼
장래까지 말씀하셨사오니 여호와 하나님이여 나를 존귀한 자 같이 여기셨나이다
17:17 And this was only a small thing to you, O God; but your words have even been about
the far-off future of your servant's family, looking on me as on one of high position,
O Lord God.
17:17 And yet this was a small thing in yours eyes, O God; for you have also
spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded
me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
17:18 주께서 주의 종에게 베푸신 존귀에 대하여 다윗이 다시 무슨 말씀을 하오리이까
주께서는 주의 종을 아시나이다
17:18 What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant.
17:18 What can David speak more to you for the honour of your servant? for
you know your servant.
17:19 여호와여 주께서 주의 종을 위하여 주의 뜻대로 이 모든 큰 일을 행하사
이 모든 큰 일을 알게 하셨나이다
17:19 O Lord, because of your servant, and from your heart, you have done all these great
things and let them be seen.
17:19 O LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to yours own heart,
have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
17:20 여호와여 우리 귀로 들은 대로는 주와 같은 이가 없고 주 외에는 참 신이
없나이다
17:20 O Lord, there is no one like you, and no other God but you, as is clear from everything
which has come to our ears.
17:20 O LORD, there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you,
according to all that we have heard with our ears.
17:21 땅의 어느 한 나라가 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까 하나님이 가서 구속하사
자기 백성을 삼으시고 크고 두려운 일로 인하여 이름을 얻으시고 애굽에서 구속하신
자기 백성 앞에서 열국을 쫓아내셨사오며
17:21 And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to
take for himself, to be his people, making his name great and to be feared, driving
out the nations from before your people whom you made free and took out of Egypt?
17:21 And what one nation in the earth is like your people Israel, whom God
went to redeem to be his own people, to make you a name of greatness and terribleness,
by driving out nations from before your people whom you have redeemed out of
Egypt?
17:22 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘로 영원히 주의 백성을 삼으셨사오니 여호와여
주께서 저희 하나님이 되셨나이다
17:22 For your people Israel you made yours for ever; and you, Lord, became their God.
17:22 For your people Israel did you make yours own people for ever; and
you, LORD, became their God.
17:23 여호와여 이제 주의 종과 그 집에 대하여 말씀하신 것을 영원히 견고케
하시며 말씀하신 대로 행하사
17:23 And now, Lord, let your words about your servant and about his family be made certain
for ever, and do as you have said.
17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that you have spoken concerning
your servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as you
have said.
17:24 견고케 하시고 사람으로 영원히 주의 이름을 높여 이르기를 만군의 여호와는
이스라엘의 하나님 곧 이스라엘에게 하나님이시라 하게 하시며 주의 종 다윗의 집이
주 앞에서 견고히 서게 하옵소서
17:24 So let your words be made certain and your name be made great, when men say, The
Lord of armies is the God of Israel; and when the family of David your servant is
made strong before you.
17:24 Let it even be established, that your name may be magnified for ever,
saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let
the house of David your servant be established before you.
17:25 나의 하나님이여 주께서 종을 위하여 집을 세우실 것을 이미 듣게 하셨으므로
주의 종이 주 앞에서 이 기도로 구할 마음이 생겼나이다
17:25 For you, O my God, have let your servant see that you will make him head of a line
of kings; and so it has come into your servant's heart to make his prayer to you.
17:25 For you, O my God, have told your servant that you will build him an
house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray before you.
17:26 여호와여 오직 주는 하나님이시라 주께서 이 좋은 것으로 주의 종에게 허락하시고
17:26 And now, O Lord, you are God, and you have said you will give this good thing to
your servant:
17:26 And now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this goodness unto your
servant:
17:27 이제 주께서 종의 집에 복을 주사 주 앞에 영원히 두시기를 기뻐하시나이다
여호와여 주께서 복을 주셨사오니 이 복을 영원히 누리리이다 하니라
17:27 And now you have been pleased to give your blessing to the family of your servant,
so that it may go on for ever before you; you, O Lord, have given your blessing,
and a blessing will be on it for ever.
17:27 Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant,
that it may be before you for ever: for you bless, O LORD, and it shall be blessed
for ever.
18:1 이 후에 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 쳐서 항복 받고 블레셋 사람의 손에서 가드와
그 동네를 빼앗고
18:1 And it came about after this that David made an attack on the Philistines and overcame
them, and took Gath with its daughter-towns out of the hands of the Philistines.
18:1 Now after this it came to pass, that David stroke the Philistines, and
subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
18:2 또 모압을 치매 모압 사람이 다윗의 종이 되어 조공을 바치니라
18:2 And he overcame Moab, and the Moabites became his servants and gave him offerings.
18:2 And he stroke Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought
gifts.
18:3 ○ 소바 왕 하닷에셀이 유브라데 강 가에서 자기 권세를 펴고자 하매 다윗이
저를 쳐서 하맛까지 이르고
18:3 Then David overcame Hadadezer, king of Zobah, near Hamath, when he was going to
make his power seen by the river Euphrates.
18:3 And David stroke Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to
establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
18:4 그 병거 일천 승과 기병 칠천과 보병 이만을 빼앗고 그 병거 일백 승의 말만
남기고 그 외의 병거의 말은 다 발의 힘줄을 끊었더니
18:4 And David took from him a thousand war-carriages and seven thousand horsemen and
twenty thousand footmen: and he had the leg-muscles of all the horses cut, keeping
only enough of them for a hundred war-carriages.
18:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen,
and twenty thousand footmen: David also cut the hamstrings of all the chariot
horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
18:5 다메섹 아람 사람이 소바 왕 하닷에셀을 도우러 온지라 다윗이 아람 사람
이만 이천을 죽이고
18:5 And when the Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer, king of Zobah,
David put to the sword twenty-two thousand Aramaeans.
18:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah,
David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
18:6 다메섹 아람에 수비대를 두매 아람 사람이 다윗의 종이 되어 조공을 바치니라
다윗이 어디로 가든지 여호와께서 이기게 하시니라
18:6 Then David put armed forces in Damascus, and the Aramaeans became his servants and
gave him offerings. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
18:6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's
servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
18:7 다윗이 하닷에셀의 신복들의 가진 금 방패를 빼앗아 예루살렘으로 가져오고
18:7 And the gold body-covers of the servants of Hadadezer, David took to Jerusalem.
18:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer,
and brought them to Jerusalem.
18:8 또 하닷에셀의 성읍 디브핫과 군에서 심히 많은 놋을 취하였더니 솔로몬이
그것으로 놋바다와 기둥과 놋그릇들을 만들었더라
18:8 And from Tibhath and from Cun, towns of Hadadezer, David took a great store of brass,
of which Solomon made the great brass water-vessel and the brass pillars and vessels.
18:8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David
very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and
the vessels of brass.
18:9 ○ 하맛 왕 도우가 다윗이 소바 왕 하닷에셀의 온 군대를 쳐서 파하였다
함을 듣고
18:9 Now when Tou, king of Hamath, had news that David had overcome all the army of Hadadezer,
king of Zobah,
18:9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host
of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
18:10 그 아들 하도람을 보내어 다윗 왕에게 문안하고 축복하게 하니 이는 하닷에셀이
이왕에 도우로 더불어 여러 번 전쟁이 있던 터에 다윗이 하닷에셀을 쳐서 파하였음이라
하도람이 금과 은과 놋의 여러 가지 그릇을 가져온지라
18:10 He sent his son Hadoram to King David, to give him words of peace and blessing,
because he had overcome Hadadezer in the fight, for Hadadezer had been at war with
Tou; and he gave him all sorts of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
18:10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and
to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him;
(for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold
and silver and brass.
18:11 다윗 왕이 그것도 여호와께 드리되 에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손과 블레셋 사람과
아말렉 등 여러 족속에게서 취하여 온 은금과 함께 하여 드리니라
18:11 These King David made holy to the Lord, together with the silver and gold he had
taken from all nations; from Edom and Moab and from the children of Ammon and from
the Philistines and from Amalek.
18:11 Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the
gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from
the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
18:12 스루야의 아들 아비새가 염곡에서 에돔 사람 일만 팔천을 쳐죽인지라
18:12 And when he came back from putting to the sword eighteen thousand of the Edomites
in the Valley of Salt,
18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley
of salt eighteen thousand.
18:13 다윗이 에돔에 수비대를 두매 에돔 사람이 다 다윗의 종이 되니라 다윗이
어디로 가든지 여호와께서 이기게 하셨더라
18:13 David put armed forces in all the towns of Edom; and all the Edomites became servants
to David. The Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
18:13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants.
Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
18:14 ○ 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 다스려 모든 백성에게 공과 의를 행할새
18:14 So David was king over all Israel, judging and giving right decisions for all his
people.
18:14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice
among all his people.
18:15 스루야의 아들 요압은 군대 장관이 되고 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이
되고
18:15 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the army; and Jehoshaphat, son of Ahilud,
was keeper of the records.
18:15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the
son of Ahilud, recorder.
18:16 아히둡의 아들 사독과 아비아달의 아들 아비멜렉은 제사장이 되고 사워사는
서기관이 되고
18:16 And Zadok, the son of Ahitub; and Ahimelech, the son of Abiathar, were priests;
and Shavsha was the scribe;
18:16 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were
the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
18:17 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람을 관할하고 다윗의 아들들은
왕을 모셔 대신이 되니라
18:17 And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and
the sons of David were chief of those whose places were at the king's side.
18:17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites;
and the sons of David were chief about the king.
19:1 그 후에 암몬 자손의 왕 나하스가 죽고 그 아들이 대신하여 왕이 되니
19:1 Now it came about after this that death came to Nahash, the king of the children
of Ammon, and his son became king in his place.
19:1 Now it came to pass after this, that Nahash the king of the children
of Ammon died, and his son reigned in his position.
19:2 다윗이 가로되 하눈의 아비 나하스가 전에 내게 은혜를 베풀었으니 이제
내가 그 아들 하눈에게 은혜를 베풀리라 하고 사자를 보내어 그 아비 죽은 것을 조상하게
하니라 다윗의 신복들이 암몬 자손의 땅에 이르러 하눈에게 나아가 조상하매
19:2 And David said, I will be a friend to Hanun, the son of Nahash, because his father
was a friend to me. So David sent men to him, to give him words of comfort on account
of his father. And the servants of David came to Hanun, to the land of the children
of Ammon, offering him comfort.
19:2 And David said, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because
his father showed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning
his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon
to Hanun, to comfort him.
19:3 암몬 자손의 방백들이 하눈에게 고하되 왕은 다윗이 조문사를 보낸 것이
왕의 부친을 공경함인 줄로 여기시나이까 그 신복이 왕에게 나아온 것이 이 땅을
엿보고 탐지하여 함락시키고자 함이 아니니이까
19:3 But the chiefs of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, Does it seem to you that
David is honouring your father, by sending comforters to you? is it not clear that
these men have only come to go through the land and to make secret observation of
it so that they may overcome it?
19:3 But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, Think you that
David does honour your father, that he has sent comforters unto you? are not
his servants come unto you in order to search, and to overthrow, and to spy
out the land?
19:4 하눈이 이에 다윗의 신복들을 잡아 그 수염을 깎고 그 의복의 중동 볼기까지
자르고 돌려보내매
19:4 So Hanun took David's servants, and cutting off their hair and the skirts of their
robes up to the middle, sent them away.
19:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut off
their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away.
19:5 혹이 다윗에게 가서 그 사람들의 당한 일을 고하니라 그 사람들이 심히 부끄러워하므로
다윗이 저희를 맞으러 보내어 이르기를 너희는 수염이 자라기까지 여리고에 머물다가
돌아오라 하니라
19:5 Then certain men went and gave David word of what had been done to them. And he
sent out with the purpose of meeting them; for the men were greatly shamed. And
the king said, Keep where you are at Jericho till your hair is long again, and then
come back.
19:5 Then there went certain, and told David how the men were served. And
he sent to meet them: for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry
at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
19:6 ○ 암몬 자손이 자기가 다윗에게 밉게 한 줄 안지라 하눈이 암몬 자손으로
더불어 은 일천 달란트를 아람 나하라임과 아람마아가와 소바에 보내어 병거와 마병을
삯 내되
19:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves hated by David,
Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver as payment for
war-carriages and horsemen from Mesopotamia and Aram-maacah and Zobah.
19:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves abhorrent
to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver
to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, and out of Syriamaachah,
and out of Zobah.
19:7 곧 병거 삼만 이천 승과 마아가 왕과 그 백성을 삯 내었더니 저희가 와서
메드바 앞에 진 치매 암몬 자손이 그 모든 성읍으로 좇아 모여 와서 싸우려 한지라
19:7 So with this money they got thirty-two thousand war-carriages, and the help of the
king of Maacah and his people, who came and took up their position in front of Medeba.
And the children of Ammon came together from their towns for the fight.
19:7 So they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah
and his people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And the children of Ammon
gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle.
19:8 다윗이 듣고 요압과 용사의 온 무리를 보내었더니
19:8 And David, hearing of it, sent Joab with all the army of fighting-men.
19:8 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty
men.
19:9 암몬 자손은 나와서 성문 앞에 진 치고 도우러 온 여러 왕은 따로 들에 있더라
19:9 So the children of Ammon came out and put their forces in position on the way into
the town; and the kings who had come were stationed by themselves in the field.
19:9 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array before
the gate of the city: and the kings that were come were by themselves in the
field.
19:10 ○ 요압이 앞 뒤에 친 적진을 보고 이스라엘 뺀 자 중에서 또 빼서 아람
사람을 대하여 진 치고
19:10 Now when Joab saw that their forces were in position against him in front and at
his back, he took all the best men of Israel, and put them in line against the Aramaeans;
19:10 Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind,
he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the
Syrians.
19:11 그 남은 무리는 그 아우 아비새의 수하에 붙여 암몬 자손을 대하여 진 치게
하고
19:11 And the rest of the people he put in position against the children of Ammon with
Abishai, his brother, at their head.
19:11 And the rest of the people he delivered unto the hand of Abishai his
brother, and they set themselves in array against the children of Ammon.
19:12 가로되 만일 아람 사람이 나보다 강하면 네가 나를 돕고 만일 암몬 자손이
너보다 강하면 내가 너를 도우리라
19:12 And he said, If the Aramaeans are stronger and get the better of me, then come to
my help; and if the children of Ammon get the better of you, I will come to your
help.
19:12 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you shall help
me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will help you.
19:13 너는 담대하라 우리가 우리 백성과 우리 하나님의 성읍들을 위하여 담대히
하자 여호와께서 선히 여기시는 대로 행하시기를 원하노라 하고
19:13 Take heart, and let us be strong for our people and for the towns of our God; and
may the Lord do what seems good to him.
19:13 Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people,
and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his
sight.
19:14 요압과 그 종자가 싸우려고 아람 사람 앞에 나아가니 저희가 그 앞에서
도망하고
19:14 So Joab and the people who were with him went forward into the fight against the
Aramaeans, and they went in flight before him.
19:14 So Joab and the people that were with him drew nigh before the Syrians
unto the battle; and they fled before him.
19:15 암몬 자손은 아람 사람의 도망함을 보고 저희도 요압의 아우 아비새 앞에서
도망하여 성으로 들어간지라 이에 요압이 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
19:15 And when the children of Ammon saw the flight of the Aramaeans, they themselves
went in flight from Abishai, his brother, and came into the town. Then Joab came
back to Jerusalem.
19:15 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they
likewise fled before Abishai his brother, and entered into the city. Then Joab
came to Jerusalem.
19:16 ○ 아람 사람이 자기가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하였음을 보고 사자를 보내어
강 건너편에 있는 아람 사람을 불러내니 하닷에셀의 군대 장관 소박이 저희를 거느린지라
19:16 And when the Aramaeans saw that Israel had overcome them, they sent men to get the
Aramaeans who were on the other side of the River, with Shophach, the captain of
Hadadezer's army, at their head.
19:16 And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel,
they sent messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river:
and Shophach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
19:17 혹이 다윗에게 고하매 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 모으고 요단을 건너 아람 사람에게
이르러 저희를 향하여 진을 치니라 다윗이 아람 사람을 향하여 진을 치매 저희가
다윗으로 더불어 싸우더니
19:17 And word of this was given to David; and he got all Israel together and went over
Jordan and came to Helam and put his forces in position against them. And when David's
forces were in position against the Aramaeans, the fight was started.
19:17 And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over
Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So when
David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.
19:18 아람 사람이 이스라엘 앞에서 도망한지라 다윗이 아람 병거 칠천 승의 군사와
보병 사만을 죽이고 또 군대 장관 소박을 죽이매
19:18 And the Aramaeans went in flight before Israel; and David put to the sword the men
of seven thousand Aramaean war-carriages and forty thousand footmen, and put to
death Shophach, the captain of the army.
19:18 But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven
thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed
Shophach the captain of the host.
19:19 하닷에셀의 신복이 자기가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하였음을 보고 다윗으로 더불어
화친하여 섬기고 이 후로는 아람 사람이 암몬 자손 돕기를 싫어하니라
19:19 And when the servants of Hadadezer saw that they were overcome by Israel, they made
peace with David and became his servants: and the Aramaeans would give no more help
to the children of Ammon.
19:19 And when the servants of Hadarezer saw that they were put to the worse
before Israel, they made peace with David, and became his servants: neither
would the Syrians help the children of Ammon any more.
20:1 해가 돌아와서 왕들의 출전할 때가 되매 요압이 그 군대를 거느리고 나가서
암몬 자손의 땅을 훼파하고 가서 랍바를 에워싸고 다윗은 예루살렘에 그대로 있더니
요압이 랍바를 쳐서 함락시키매
20:1 Now in the spring, at the time when kings go out to war, Joab went out at the head
of the armed forces and made waste all the land of the Ammonites and put his men
in position before Rabbah, shutting it in. But David was still at Jerusalem. And
Joab took Rabbah and made it waste.
20:1 And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that
kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the
country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried
at Jerusalem. And Joab stroke Rabbah, and destroyed it.
20:2 다윗이 그 왕의 머리에서 보석 있는 면류관을 취하여 달아보니 중량이 금
한 달란트라 그 면류관을 자기 머리에 쓰니라 다윗이 또 그 성에서 노략한 물건을
무수히 내어오고
20:2 And David took the crown of Milcom from off his head; its weight was a talent of
gold and it had stones of great price in it; and it was put on David's head, and
he took a great store of goods from the town.
20:2 And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found
it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was
set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
20:3 그 가운데 백성을 끌어내어 톱질과 써레질과 도끼질을 하게 하니라 다윗이
암몬 자손의 모든 성읍을 이같이 하고 모든 백성과 함께 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
20:3 And he took the people out of the town and put them to work with wood-cutting instruments,
and iron grain-crushers, and axes. And this he did to all the towns of the children
of Ammon. Then David and all the people went back to Jerusalem.
20:3 And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws,
and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities
of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
20:4 ○ 이 후에 블레셋 사람과 게셀에서 전쟁할 때에 후사 사람 십브개가 장대한
자의 아들 중에 십배를 쳐죽이매 저희가 항복하였더라
20:4 Now after this there was war with the Philistines at Gezer; then Sibbecai the Hushathite
put to death Sippai, one of the offspring of the Rephaim; and they were overcome.
20:4 And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the
Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of
the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
20:5 다시 블레셋 사람과 전쟁할 때에 야일의 아들 엘하난이 가드 사람 골리앗의
아우 라흐미를 죽였는데 이 사람의 창자루는 베틀채 같았더라
20:5 And again there was war with the Philistines; and Elhanan, the son of Jair, put
to death Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the stem of whose spear was
like a cloth-worker's rod.
20:5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of
Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like
a weaver's beam.
20:6 또 가드에서 전쟁할 때에 그 곳에 키 큰 자 하나는 매 손과 매 발에 가락이
여섯씩 모두 스물 넷이 있는데 저도 장대한 자의 소생이라
20:6 And again there was war at Gath, where there was a very tall man, who had twenty-four
fingers and toes, six fingers on his hands and six toes on his feet; he was one
of the offspring of the Rephaim.
20:6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature,
whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each
foot and he also was the son of the giant.
20:7 저가 이스라엘을 능욕하는 고로 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나단이 저를 죽이니라
20:7 And when he put shame on Israel, Jonathan, the son of Shimea, David's brother, put
him to death.
20:7 But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother
slew him.
20:8 가드 장대한 자의 소생이라도 다윗의 손과 그 신복의 손에 다 죽었더라
20:8 These were of the offspring of the Rephaim in Gath; they came to their death by
the hands of David and his servants.
20:8 These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of
David, and by the hand of his servants.
