1:1 וַיְהִי בִּימֵי אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ הוּא אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ הַמֹּלֵךְ מֵהֹדּוּ וְעַד־כּוּשׁ שֶׁבַע וְעֶשְׂרִים וּמֵאָה מְדִינָה׃
1:1 이 일은 아하수에로 왕 때에 된 것이니 아하수에로는 인도로 구스까지 일백 이십 칠 도를 치리하는 왕이라
1:1 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)
2:1 בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם כְּשֶׁבֶת ׀ הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ עַל כִּסֵּא מַלְכוּתֹו אֲשֶׁר בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה׃
1:2 당시에 아하수에로 왕이 수산 궁에서 즉위하고
1:2 That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,
3:1 בִּשְׁנַת שָׁלֹושׁ לְמָלְכֹו עָשָׂה מִשְׁתֶּה לְכָל־שָׂרָיו וַעֲבָדָיו חֵיל ׀ פָּרַס וּמָדַי הַפַּרְתְּמִים וְשָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינֹות לְפָנָיו׃
1:3 위에 있은 지 삼 년에 그 모든 방백과 신복을 위하여 잔치를 베푸니 바사와 메대의 장수와 각 도의 귀족과 방백들이 다 왕 앞에 있는지라
1:3 In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
4:1 בְּהַרְאֹתֹו אֶת־עֹשֶׁר כְּבֹוד מַלְכוּתֹו וְאֶת־יְקָר תִּפְאֶרֶת גְּדוּלָּתֹו יָמִים רַבִּים שְׁמֹונִים וּמְאַת יֹום׃
1:4 왕이 여러 날 곧 일백 팔십 일 동안에 그 영화로운 나라의 부함과 위엄의 혁혁함을 나타내니라
1:4 When he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.
5:1 וּבִמְלֹואת ׀ הַיָּמִים הָאֵלֶּה עָשָׂה הַמֶּלֶךְ לְכָל־הָעָם הַנִּמְצְאִים בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה לְמִגָּדֹול וְעַד־קָטָן מִשְׁתֶּה שִׁבְעַת יָמִים בַּחֲצַר גִּנַּת בִּיתַן הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
1:5 이 날이 다하매 왕이 또 도성 수산 대소 인민을 위하여 왕궁 후원 뜰에서 칠 일 동안 잔치를 베풀새
1:5 And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;
6:1 חוּר ׀ כַּרְפַּס וּתְכֵלֶת אָחוּז בְּחַבְלֵי־בוּץ וְאַרְגָּמָן עַל־גְּלִילֵי כֶסֶף וְעַמּוּדֵי שֵׁשׁ מִטֹּות ׀ זָהָב וָכֶסֶף עַל רִצְפַת בַּהַט־וָשֵׁשׁ וְדַר וְסֹחָרֶת׃
1:6 백색, 녹색, 청색 휘장을 자색 가는 베 줄로 대리석 기둥 은고리에 매고 금과 은으로 만든 걸상을 화반석, 백석, 운모석, 흑석을 깐 땅에 진설하고
1:6 Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble.
7:1 וְהַשְׁקֹות בִּכְלֵי זָהָב וְכֵלִים מִכֵּלִים שֹׁונִים וְיֵין מַלְכוּת רָב כְּיַד הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
1:7 금 잔으로 마시게 하니 잔의 식양이 각기 다르고 왕의 풍부한 대로 어주가 한이 없으며
1:7 And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.
8:1 וְהַשְּׁתִיָּה כַדָּת אֵין אֹנֵס כִּי־כֵן ׀ יִסַּד הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל כָּל־רַב בֵּיתֹו לַעֲשֹׂות כִּרְצֹון אִישׁ־וָאִישׁ׃
1:8 마시는 것도 규모가 있어 사람으로 억지로 하지 않게 하니 이는 왕이 모든 궁내 관리에게 명하여 각 사람으로 마음대로 하게 함이더라
1:8 And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man's pleasure.
9:1 גַּם וַשְׁתִּי הַמַּלְכָּה עָשְׂתָה מִשְׁתֵּה נָשִׁים בֵּית הַמַּלְכוּת אֲשֶׁר לַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ׃ ס
1:9 ○ 왕후 와스디도 아하수에로 왕궁에서 부녀들을 위하여 잔치를 베푸니라
1:9 Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
10:1 בַּיֹּום הַשְּׁבִיעִי כְּטֹוב לֵב־הַמֶּלֶךְ בַּיָּיִן אָמַר לִמְהוּמָן בִּזְּתָא חַרְבֹונָא בִּגְתָא וַאֲבַגְתָא זֵתַר וְכַרְכַּס שִׁבְעַת הַסָּרִיסִים הַמְשָׁרְתִים אֶת־פְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ׃
1:10 제 칠 일에 왕이 주흥이 일어나서 어전 내시 므후만과 비스다와 하르보나와 빅다와 아박다와 세달과 가르가스 일곱 사람을 명하여
1:10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
11:1 לְהָבִיא אֶת־וַשְׁתִּי הַמַּלְכָּה לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ בְּכֶתֶר מַלְכוּת לְהַרְאֹות הָעַמִּים וְהַשָּׂרִים אֶת־יָפְיָהּ כִּי־טֹובַת מַרְאֶה הִיא׃
1:11 왕후 와스디를 청하여 왕후의 면류관을 정제하고 왕의 앞으로 나아오게 하여 그 아리따움을 뭇 백성과 방백들에게 보이게 하라 하니 이는 왕후의 용모가 보기에 좋음이라
1:11 To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to show the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
12:1 וַתְּמָאֵן הַמַּלְכָּה וַשְׁתִּי לָבֹוא בִּדְבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר בְּיַד הַסָּרִיסִים וַיִּקְצֹף הַמֶּלֶךְ מְאֹד וַחֲמָתֹו בָּעֲרָה בֹו׃
1:12 그러나 왕후 와스디가 내시의 전하는 왕명을 좇아 오기를 싫어하니 왕이 진노하여 중심이 불 붙는 듯하더라
1:12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very angry, and his anger burned in him.
13:1 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לַחֲכָמִים יֹדְעֵי הָעִתִּים כִּי־כֵן דְּבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ לִפְנֵי כָּל־יֹדְעֵי דָּת וָדִין׃
1:13 ○ 왕이 사례를 아는 박사들에게 묻되 {왕이 규례와 법률을 아는 자에게 묻는 전례가 있는데
1:13 Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment:
14:1 וְהַקָּרֹב אֵלָיו כַּרְשְׁנָא שֵׁתָר אַדְמָתָא תַרְשִׁישׁ מֶרֶס מַרְסְנָא מְמוּכָן שִׁבְעַת שָׂרֵי ׀ פָּרַס וּמָדַי רֹאֵי פְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַיֹּשְׁבִים רִאשֹׁנָה בַּמַּלְכוּת׃
1:14 때에 왕에게 가까이 하여 왕의 기색을 살피며 나라 첫 자리에 앉은 자는 바사와 메대의 일곱 방백 곧 가르스나와 세달과 아드마다와 다시스와 메레스와 마르스나와 므무간이라}
1:14 And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
15:1 כְּדָת מַה־לַּעֲשֹׂות בַּמַּלְכָּה וַשְׁתִּי עַל ׀ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָשְׂתָה אֶת־מַאֲמַר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ בְּיַד הַסָּרִיסִים׃ ס
1:15 왕후 와스디가 내시의 전하는 아하수에로 왕명을 좇지 아니하니 규례대로 하면 어떻게 처치할꼬
1:15 What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she has not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
16:1 וַיֹּאמֶר [מוּמְכָן כ] (מְמוּכָן ק) לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַשָּׂרִים לֹא עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ לְבַדֹּו עָוְתָה וַשְׁתִּי הַמַּלְכָּה כִּי עַל־כָּל־הַשָּׂרִים וְעַל־כָּל־הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ׃
1:16 므무간이 왕과 방백 앞에서 대답하여 가로되 왕후 와스디가 왕에게만 잘못할 뿐 아니라 아하수에로 왕의 각 도 방백과 뭇 백성에게도 잘못하였나이다
1:16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen has not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
17:1 כִּי־יֵצֵא דְבַר־הַמַּלְכָּה עַל־כָּל־הַנָּשִׁים לְהַבְזֹות בַּעְלֵיהֶן בְּעֵינֵיהֶן בְּאָמְרָם הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ אָמַר לְהָבִיא אֶת־וַשְׁתִּי הַמַּלְכָּה לְפָנָיו וְלֹא־בָאָה׃
1:17 아하수에로 왕이 명하여 왕후 와스디를 청하여도 오지 아니하였다 하는 왕후의 행위의 소문이 모든 부녀에게 전파되면 저희도 그 남편을 멸시할 것인즉
1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
18:1 וְהַיֹּום הַזֶּה תֹּאמַרְנָה ׀ שָׂרֹות פָּרַס־וּמָדַי אֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעוּ אֶת־דְּבַר הַמַּלְכָּה לְכֹל שָׂרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וּכְדַי בִּזָּיֹון וָקָצֶף׃
1:18 오늘이라도 바사와 메대의 귀부인들이 왕후의 행위를 듣고 왕의 모든 방백에게 그렇게 말하리니 멸시와 분노가 많이 일어나리이다
1:18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.
19:1 אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב יֵצֵא דְבַר־מַלְכוּת מִלְּפָנָיו וְיִכָּתֵב בְּדָתֵי פָרַס־וּמָדַי וְלֹא יַעֲבֹור אֲשֶׁר לֹא־תָבֹוא וַשְׁתִּי לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ וּמַלְכוּתָהּ יִתֵּן הַמֶּלֶךְ לִרְעוּתָהּ הַטֹּובָה מִמֶּנָּה׃
1:19 왕이 만일 선히 여기실진대 와스디로 다시는 왕 앞에 오지 못하게 하는 조서를 내리되 바사와 메대의 법률 중에 기록하여 변역함이 없게 하고 그 왕후의 위를 저보다 나은 사람에게 주소서
1:19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
20:1 וְנִשְׁמַע פִּתְגָם הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂה בְּכָל־מַלְכוּתֹו כִּי רַבָּה הִיא וְכָל־הַנָּשִׁים יִתְּנוּ יְקָר לְבַעְלֵיהֶן לְמִגָּדֹול וְעַד־קָטָן׃
1:20 왕의 조서가 이 광대한 전국에 반포되면 귀천을 무론하고 모든 부녀가 그 남편을 존경하리이다
1:20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
21:1 וַיִּיטַב הַדָּבָר בְּעֵינֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַשָּׂרִים וַיַּעַשׂ הַמֶּלֶךְ כִּדְבַר מְמוּכָן׃
1:21 왕과 방백들이 그 말을 선히 여긴지라 왕이 므무간의 말대로 행하여
1:21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:
22:1 וַיִּשְׁלַח סְפָרִים אֶל־כָּל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה כִּכְתָבָהּ וְאֶל־עַם וָעָם כִּלְשֹׁונֹו לִהְיֹות כָּל־אִישׁ שֹׂרֵר בְּבֵיתֹו וּמְדַבֵּר כִּלְשֹׁון עַמֹּו׃ פ
1:22 각 도 각 백성의 문자와 방언대로 모든 도에 조서를 내려 이르기를 남편으로 그 집을 주관하게 하고 자기 민족의 방언대로 말하게 하라 하였더라
1:22 For he sent letters into all the king's provinces, into every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language, that every man should bear rule in his own house, and that it should be published according to the language of every people.
1:2 אַחַר הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה כְּשֹׁךְ חֲמַת הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ זָכַר אֶת־וַשְׁתִּי וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂתָה וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר־נִגְזַר עָלֶיהָ׃
2:1 그 후에 아하수에로 왕의 노가 그치매 와스디와 그의 행한 일과 그에 대하여 내린 조서를 생각하거늘
2:1 After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
2:2 וַיֹּאמְרוּ נַעֲרֵי־הַמֶּלֶךְ מְשָׁרְתָיו יְבַקְשׁוּ לַמֶּלֶךְ נְעָרֹות בְּתוּלֹות טֹובֹות מַרְאֶה׃
2:2 왕의 시신이 아뢰되 왕은 왕을 위하여 아리따운 처녀들을 구하게 하시되
2:2 Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
3:2 וְיַפְקֵד הַמֶּלֶךְ פְּקִידִים בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות מַלְכוּתֹו וְיִקְבְּצוּ אֶת־כָּל־נַעֲרָה־בְתוּלָה טֹובַת מַרְאֶה אֶל־שׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה אֶל־בֵּית הַנָּשִׁים אֶל־יַד הֵגֶא סְרִיס הַמֶּלֶךְ שֹׁמֵר הַנָּשִׁים וְנָתֹון תַּמְרוּקֵיהֶן׃
2:3 전국 각 도에 관리를 명령하여 아리따운 처녀를 다 도성 수산으로 모아 후궁으로 들여 궁녀를 주관하는 내시 헤개의 손에 붙여 그 몸을 정결케 하는 물품을 주게 하시고
2:3 And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
4:2 וְהַנַּעֲרָה אֲשֶׁר תִּיטַב בְּעֵינֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ תִּמְלֹךְ תַּחַת וַשְׁתִּי וַיִּיטַב הַדָּבָר בְּעֵינֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן׃ ס
2:4 왕의 눈에 아름다운 처녀로 와스디를 대신하여 왕후를 삼으소서 왕이 그 말을 선히 여겨 그대로 행하니라
2:4 And let the maiden which pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
5:2 אִישׁ יְהוּדִי הָיָה בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה וּשְׁמֹו מָרְדֳּכַי בֶּן יָאִיר בֶּן־שִׁמְעִי בֶּן־קִישׁ אִישׁ יְמִינִי׃
2:5 ○ 도성 수산에 한 유다인이 있으니 이름은 모르드개라 저는 베냐민 자손이니 기스의 증손이요 시므이의 손자요 야일의 아들이라
2:5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
6:2 אֲשֶׁר הָגְלָה מִירוּשָׁלַיִם עִם־הַגֹּלָה אֲשֶׁר הָגְלְתָה עִם יְכָנְיָה מֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה אֲשֶׁר הֶגְלָה נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל׃
2:6 전에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 예루살렘에서 유다 왕 여고냐와 백성을 사로잡아 갈 때에 모르드개도 함께 사로잡혔더라
2:6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
7:2 וַיְהִי אֹמֵן אֶת־הֲדַסָּה הִיא אֶסְתֵּר בַּת־דֹּדֹו כִּי אֵין לָהּ אָב וָאֵם וְהַנַּעֲרָה יְפַת־תֹּאַר וְטֹובַת מַרְאֶה וּבְמֹות אָבִיהָ וְאִמָּהּ לְקָחָהּ מָרְדֳּכַי לֹו לְבַת׃
2:7 저의 삼촌의 딸 하닷사 곧 에스더는 부모가 없고 용모가 곱고 아리따운 처녀라 그 부모가 죽은 후에 모르드개가 자기 딸 같이 양육하더라
2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
8:2 וַיְהִי בְּהִשָּׁמַע דְּבַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְדָתֹו וּבְהִקָּבֵץ נְעָרֹות רַבֹּות אֶל־שׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה אֶל־יַד הֵגָי וַתִּלָּקַח אֶסְתֵּר אֶל־בֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל־יַד הֵגַי שֹׁמֵר הַנָּשִׁים׃
2:8 ○ 왕의 조명이 반포되매 처녀들이 도성 수산에 많이 모여 헤개의 수하에 나아갈 때에 에스더도 왕궁으로 이끌려 가서 궁녀를 주관하는 헤개의 수하에 속하니
2:8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
9:2 וַתִּיטַב הַנַּעֲרָה בְעֵינָיו וַתִּשָּׂא חֶסֶד לְפָנָיו וַיְבַהֵל אֶת־תַּמְרוּקֶיהָ וְאֶת־מָנֹותֶהָ לָתֵת לָהּ וְאֵת שֶׁבַע הַנְּעָרֹות הָרְאֻיֹות לָתֶת־לָהּ מִבֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיְשַׁנֶּהָ וְאֶת־נַעֲרֹותֶיהָ לְטֹוב בֵּית הַנָּשִׁים׃
2:9 헤개가 이 처녀를 기뻐하여 은혜를 베풀어 몸을 정결케 할 물품과 일용품을 곧 주며 또 왕궁에서 의례히 주는 일곱 궁녀를 주고 에스더와 그 궁녀들을 후궁 아름다운 처소로 옮기더라
2:9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.
10:2 לֹא־הִגִּידָה אֶסְתֵּר אֶת־עַמָּהּ וְאֶת־מֹולַדְתָּהּ כִּי מָרְדֳּכַי צִוָּה עָלֶיהָ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־תַגִּיד׃
2:10 에스더가 자기의 민족과 종족을 고하지 아니하니 이는 모르드개가 명하여 고하지 말라 하였음이라
2:10 Esther had not showed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not show it.
11:2 וּבְכָל־יֹום וָיֹום מָרְדֳּכַי מִתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵי חֲצַר בֵּית־הַנָּשִׁים לָדַעַת אֶת־שְׁלֹום אֶסְתֵּר וּמַה־יֵּעָשֶׂה בָּהּ׃
2:11 모르드개가 날마다 후궁 뜰 앞으로 왕래하며 에스더의 안부와 어떻게 될 것을 알고자 하더라
2:11 And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.
12:2 וּבְהַגִּיעַ תֹּר נַעֲרָה וְנַעֲרָה לָבֹוא ׀ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ מִקֵּץ הֱיֹות לָהּ כְּדָת הַנָּשִׁים שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר חֹדֶשׁ כִּי כֵּן יִמְלְאוּ יְמֵי מְרוּקֵיהֶן שִׁשָּׁה חֳדָשִׁים בְּשֶׁמֶן הַמֹּר וְשִׁשָּׁה חֳדָשִׁים בַּבְּשָׂמִים וּבְתַמְרוּקֵי הַנָּשִׁים׃
2:12 ○ 처녀마다 차례대로 아하수에로 왕에게 나아가기 전에 여자에 대하여 정한 규례대로 열 두 달 동안을 행하되 여섯 달은 몰약 기름을 쓰고 여섯 달은 향품과 여자에게 쓰는 다른 물품을 써서 몸을 정결케 하는 기한을 마치며
2:12 Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to know, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)
13:2 וּבָזֶה הַנַּעֲרָה בָּאָה אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר תֹּאמַר יִנָּתֵן לָהּ לָבֹוא עִמָּהּ מִבֵּית הַנָּשִׁים עַד־בֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
2:13 처녀가 왕에게 나아갈 때에는 그 구하는 것을 다 주어 후궁에서 왕궁으로 가지고 가게 하고
2:13 Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king's house.
14:2 בָּעֶרֶב ׀ הִיא בָאָה וּבַבֹּקֶר הִיא שָׁבָה אֶל־בֵּית הַנָּשִׁים שֵׁנִי אֶל־יַד שַׁעֲשְׁגַז סְרִיס הַמֶּלֶךְ שֹׁמֵר הַפִּילַגְשִׁים לֹא־תָבֹוא עֹוד אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ כִּי אִם־חָפֵץ בָּהּ הַמֶּלֶךְ וְנִקְרְאָה בְשֵׁם׃
2:14 저녁이면 갔다가 아침에는 둘째 후궁으로 돌아와서 비빈을 주관하는 내시 사아스가스의 수하에 속하고 왕이 저를 기뻐하여 그 이름을 부르지 아니하면 다시 왕에게 나아가지 못하더라
2:14 In the evening she went, and on the next day she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
15:2 וּבְהַגִּיעַ תֹּר־אֶסְתֵּר בַּת־אֲבִיחַיִל דֹּד מָרְדֳּכַי אֲשֶׁר לָקַח־לֹו לְבַת לָבֹוא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ לֹא בִקְשָׁה דָּבָר כִּי אִם אֶת־אֲשֶׁר יֹאמַר הֵגַי סְרִיס־הַמֶּלֶךְ שֹׁמֵר הַנָּשִׁים וַתְּהִי אֶסְתֵּר נֹשֵׂאת חֵן בְּעֵינֵי כָּל־רֹאֶיהָ׃
2:15 모르드개의 삼촌 아비하일의 딸 곧 모르드개가 자기의 딸 같이 양육하는 에스더가 차례대로 왕에게 나아갈 때에 궁녀를 주관하는 내시 헤개의 정한 것 외에는 다른 것을 구하지 아니하였으나 모든 보는 자에게 굄을 얻더라
2:15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
16:2 וַתִּלָּקַח אֶסְתֵּר אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ אֶל־בֵּית מַלְכוּתֹו בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָעֲשִׂירִי הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ טֵבֵת בִּשְׁנַת־שֶׁבַע לְמַלְכוּתֹו׃
2:16 아하수에로 왕의 칠 년 시월 곧 데벳월에 에스더가 이끌려 왕궁에 들어가서 왕의 앞에 나아가니
2:16 So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17:2 וַיֶּאֱהַב הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־אֶסְתֵּר מִכָּל־הַנָּשִׁים וַתִּשָּׂא־חֵן וָחֶסֶד לְפָנָיו מִכָּל־הַבְּתוּלֹת וַיָּשֶׂם כֶּתֶר־מַלְכוּת בְּרֹאשָׁהּ וַיַּמְלִיכֶהָ תַּחַת וַשְׁתִּי׃
2:17 왕이 모든 여자보다 에스더를 더욱 사랑하므로 저가 모든 처녀보다 왕의 앞에 더욱 은총을 얻은지라 왕이 그 머리에 면류관을 씌우고 와스디를 대신하여 왕후를 삼은 후에
2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
18:2 וַיַּעַשׂ הַמֶּלֶךְ מִשְׁתֶּה גָדֹול לְכָל־שָׂרָיו וַעֲבָדָיו אֵת מִשְׁתֵּה אֶסְתֵּר וַהֲנָחָה לַמְּדִינֹות עָשָׂה וַיִּתֵּן מַשְׂאֵת כְּיַד הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
2:18 왕이 크게 잔치를 베푸니 이는 에스더를 위한 잔치라 모든 방백과 신복을 향응하고 또 각 도의 세금을 면제하고 왕의 풍부함을 따라 크게 상주니라
2:18 Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
19:2 וּבְהִקָּבֵץ בְּתוּלֹות שֵׁנִית וּמָרְדֳּכַי יֹשֵׁב בְּשַׁעַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
2:19 ○ 처녀들을 다시 모을 때에는 모르드개가 대궐 문에 앉았더라
2:19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
20:2 אֵין אֶסְתֵּר מַגֶּדֶת מֹולַדְתָּהּ וְאֶת־עַמָּהּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה עָלֶיהָ מָרְדֳּכָי וְאֶת־מַאֲמַר מָרְדֳּכַי אֶסְתֵּר עֹשָׂה כַּאֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה בְאָמְנָה אִתֹּו׃ ס
2:20 에스더가 모르드개의 명한 대로 그 종족과 민족을 고하지 아니하니 저가 모르드개의 명을 양육 받을 때와 같이 좇음이더라
2:20 Esther had not yet showed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like when she was brought up with him.
21:2 בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם וּמָרְדֳּכַי יֹשֵׁב בְּשַׁעַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ קָצַף בִּגְתָן וָתֶרֶשׁ שְׁנֵי־סָרִיסֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ מִשֹּׁמְרֵי הַסַּף וַיְבַקְשׁוּ לִשְׁלֹחַ יָד בַּמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹשׁ׃
2:21 모르드개가 대궐 문에 앉았을 때에 문 지킨 왕의 내시 빅단과 데레스 두 사람이 아하수에로 왕을 원한하여 모살하려 하거늘
2:21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were angry, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.
22:2 וַיִּוָּדַע הַדָּבָר לְמָרְדֳּכַי וַיַּגֵּד לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וַתֹּאמֶר אֶסְתֵּר לַמֶּלֶךְ בְּשֵׁם מָרְדֳּכָי׃
2:22 모르드개가 알고 왕후 에스더에게 고하니 에스더가 모르드개의 이름으로 왕에게 고한지라
2:22 And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.
23:2 וַיְבֻקַּשׁ הַדָּבָר וַיִּמָּצֵא וַיִּתָּלוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם עַל־עֵץ וַיִּכָּתֵב בְּסֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ פ
2:23 사실하여 실정을 얻었으므로 두 사람을 나무에 달고 그 일을 왕의 앞에서 궁중 일기에 기록하니라
2:23 And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.
1:3 אַחַר ׀ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה גִּדַּל הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ אֶת־הָמָן בֶּן־הַמְּדָתָא הָאֲגָגִי וַיְנַשְּׂאֵהוּ וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־כִּסְאֹו מֵעַל כָּל־הַשָּׂרִים אֲשֶׁר אִתֹּו׃
3:1 그 후에 아하수에로 왕이 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만의 지위를 높이 올려 모든 함께 있는 대신 위에 두니
3:1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
2:3 וְכָל־עַבְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ כֹּרְעִים וּמִשְׁתַּחֲוִים לְהָמָן כִּי־כֵן צִוָּה־לֹו הַמֶּלֶךְ וּמָרְדֳּכַי לֹא יִכְרַע וְלֹא יִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה׃
3:2 대궐 문에 있는 왕의 모든 신복이 다 왕의 명대로 하만에게 꿇어 절하되 모르드개는 꿇지도 아니하고 절하지도 아니하니
3:2 And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
3:3 וַיֹּאמְרוּ עַבְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְמָרְדֳּכָי מַדּוּעַ אַתָּה עֹובֵר אֵת מִצְוַת הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
3:3 대궐 문에 있는 왕의 신복이 모르드개에게 이르되 너는 어찌하여 왕의 명령을 거역하느냐 하고
3:3 Then the king's servants, which were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why trangress you the king's commandment?
4:3 וַיְהִי [בְּאָמְרָם כ] (כְּאָמְרָם ק) אֵלָיו יֹום וָיֹום וְלֹא שָׁמַע אֲלֵיהֶם וַיַּגִּידוּ לְהָמָן לִרְאֹות הֲיַעַמְדוּ דִּבְרֵי מָרְדֳּכַי כִּי־הִגִּיד לָהֶם אֲשֶׁר־הוּא יְהוּדִי׃
3:4 날마다 권하되 모르드개가 듣지 아니하고 자기는 유다인임을 고하였더니 저희가 모르드개의 일이 어찌 되나 보고자 하여 하만에게 고하였더라
3:4 Now it came to pass, when they spoke daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai's matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
5:3 וַיַּרְא הָמָן כִּי־אֵין מָרְדֳּכַי כֹּרֵעַ וּמִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לֹו וַיִּמָּלֵא הָמָן חֵמָה׃
3:5 하만이 모르드개가 꿇지도 아니하고 절하지도 아니함을 보고 심히 노하더니
3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
6:3 וַיִּבֶז בְּעֵינָיו לִשְׁלֹח יָד בְּמָרְדֳּכַי לְבַדֹּו כִּי־הִגִּידוּ לֹו אֶת־עַם מָרְדֳּכָי וַיְבַקֵּשׁ הָמָן לְהַשְׁמִיד אֶת־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל־מַלְכוּת אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ עַם מָרְדֳּכָי׃
3:6 저희가 모르드개의 민족을 하만에게 고한 고로 하만이 모르드개만 죽이는 것이 경하다 하고 아하수에로의 온 나라에 있는 유다인 곧 모르드개의 민족을 다 멸하고자 하더라
3:6 And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had showed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
7:3 בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשֹׁון הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה לַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ הִפִּיל פּוּר הוּא הַגֹּורָל לִפְנֵי הָמָן מִיֹּום ׀ לְיֹום וּמֵחֹדֶשׁ לְחֹדֶשׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר׃ ס
3:7 ○ 아하수에로 왕 십 이 년 정월 곧 니산월에 무리가 하만 앞에서 날과 달에 대하여 부르 곧 제비를 뽑아 십 이 월 곧 아달월을 얻은지라
3:7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.
8:3 וַיֹּאמֶר הָמָן לַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ יֶשְׁנֹו עַם־אֶחָד מְפֻזָּר וּמְפֹרָד בֵּין הָעַמִּים בְּכֹל מְדִינֹות מַלְכוּתֶךָ וְדָתֵיהֶם שֹׁנֹות מִכָּל־עָם וְאֶת־דָּתֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֵינָם עֹשִׂים וְלַמֶּלֶךְ אֵין־שֹׁוֶה לְהַנִּיחָם׃
3:8 하만이 아하수에로 왕에게 아뢰되 한 민족이 왕의 나라 각 도 백성 중에 흩어져 거하는데 그 법률이 만민보다 달라서 왕의 법률을 지키지 아니하오니 용납하는 것이 왕에게 무익하니이다
3:8 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.
9:3 אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב יִכָּתֵב לְאַבְּדָם וַעֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים כִּכַּר־כֶּסֶף אֶשְׁקֹול עַל־יְדֵי עֹשֵׂי הַמְּלָאכָה לְהָבִיא אֶל־גִּנְזֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
3:9 왕이 옳게 여기시거든 조서를 내려 저희를 진멸하소서 내가 은 일만 달란트를 왕의 일을 맡은 자의 손에 붙여 왕의 부고에 드리리이다
3:9 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.
10:3 וַיָּסַר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־טַבַּעְתֹּו מֵעַל יָדֹו וַיִּתְּנָהּ לְהָמָן בֶּן־הַמְּדָתָא הָאֲגָגִי צֹרֵר הַיְּהוּדִים׃
3:10 왕이 반지를 손에서 빼어 유다인의 대적 곧 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만에게 주며
3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy.
11:3 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהָמָן הַכֶּסֶף נָתוּן לָךְ וְהָעָם לַעֲשֹׂות בֹּו כַּטֹּוב בְּעֵינֶיךָ׃
3:11 이르되 그 은을 네게 주고 그 백성도 그리하노니 너는 소견에 좋을 대로 행하라 하더라
3:11 And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to you, the people also, to do with them as it seems good to you.
12:3 וַיִּקָּרְאוּ סֹפְרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשֹׁון בִּשְׁלֹושָׁה עָשָׂר יֹום בֹּו וַיִּכָּתֵב כְּכָל־אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה הָמָן אֶל אֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנֵי־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֶל־הַפַּחֹות אֲשֶׁר ׀ עַל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה וְאֶל־שָׂרֵי עַם וָעָם מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה כִּכְתָבָהּ וְעַם וָעָם כִּלְשֹׁונֹו בְּשֵׁם הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹשׁ נִכְתָּב וְנֶחְתָּם בְּטַבַּעַת הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
3:12 ○ 정월 십 삼 일에 왕의 서기관이 소집되어 하만의 명을 따라 왕의 대신과 각 도 방백과 각 민족의 관원에게 아하수에로 왕의 이름으로 조서를 쓰되 곧 각 도의 문자와 각 민족의 방언대로 쓰고 왕의 반지로 인치니라
3:12 Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.
13:3 וְנִשְׁלֹוחַ סְפָרִים בְּיַד הָרָצִים אֶל־כָּל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהַשְׁמִיד לַהֲרֹג וּלְאַבֵּד אֶת־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים מִנַּעַר וְעַד־זָקֵן טַף וְנָשִׁים בְּיֹום אֶחָד בִּשְׁלֹושָׁה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר וּשְׁלָלָם לָבֹוז׃
3:13 이에 그 조서를 역졸에게 부쳐 왕의 각 도에 보내니 십 이 월 곧 아달월 십 삼 일 하루 동안에 모든 유다인을 노소나 어린 아이나 부녀를 무론하고 죽이고 도륙하고 진멸하고 또 그 재산을 탈취하라 하였고
3:13 And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
14:3 פַּתְשֶׁגֶן הַכְּתָב לְהִנָּתֵן דָּת בְּכָל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה גָּלוּי לְכָל־הָעַמִּים לִהְיֹות עֲתִדִים לַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃
3:14 이 명령을 각 도에 전하기 위하여 조서의 초본을 모든 민족에게 선포하여 그 날을 위하여 준비하게 하라 하였더라
3:14 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.
15:3 הָרָצִים יָצְאוּ דְחוּפִים בִּדְבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַדָּת נִתְּנָה בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה וְהַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן יָשְׁבוּ לִשְׁתֹּות וְהָעִיר שׁוּשָׁן נָבֹוכָה׃ פ
3:15 역졸이 왕의 명을 받들어 급히 나가매 그 조서가 도성 수산에도 반포되니 왕은 하만과 함께 앉아 마시되 수산 성은 어지럽더라
3:15 The posts went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
1:4 וּמָרְדֳּכַי יָדַע אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשָׂה וַיִּקְרַע מָרְדֳּכַי אֶת־בְּגָדָיו וַיִּלְבַּשׁ שַׂק וָאֵפֶר וַיֵּצֵא בְּתֹוךְ הָעִיר וַיִּזְעַק זְעָקָה גְדֹלָה וּמָרָה׃
4:1 모르드개가 이 모든 일을 알고 그 옷을 찢고 굵은 베를 입으며 재를 무릅쓰고 성중에 나가서 대성 통곡하며
4:1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
2:4 וַיָּבֹוא עַד לִפְנֵי שַׁעַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ כִּי אֵין לָבֹוא אֶל־שַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּלְבוּשׁ שָׂק׃
4:2 대궐 문 앞까지 이르렀으니 굵은 베를 입은 자는 대궐 문에 들어가지 못함이라
4:2 And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.
3:4 וּבְכָל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה מְקֹום אֲשֶׁר דְּבַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְדָתֹו מַגִּיעַ אֵבֶל גָּדֹול לַיְּהוּדִים וְצֹום וּבְכִי וּמִסְפֵּד שַׂק וָאֵפֶר יֻצַּע לָרַבִּים׃
4:3 왕의 조명이 각 도에 이르매 유다인이 크게 애통하여 금식하며 곡읍하며 부르짖고 굵은 베를 입고 재에 누운 자가 무수하더라
4:3 And in every province, anywhere the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
4:4 [וַתְּבֹואֶינָה כ] (וַתָּבֹואנָה ק) נַעֲרֹות אֶסְתֵּר וְסָרִיסֶיהָ וַיַּגִּידוּ לָהּ וַתִּתְחַלְחַל הַמַּלְכָּה מְאֹד וַתִּשְׁלַח בְּגָדִים לְהַלְבִּישׁ אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי וּלְהָסִיר שַׂקֹּו מֵעָלָיו וְלֹא קִבֵּל׃
4:4 ○ 에스더의 시녀와 내시가 나아와 고하니 왕후가 심히 근심하여 입을 의복을 모르드개에게 보내어 그 굵은 베를 벗기고자 하나 모르드개가 받지 아니하는지라
4:4 So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
5:4 וַתִּקְרָא אֶסְתֵּר לַהֲתָךְ מִסָּרִיסֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱמִיד לְפָנֶיהָ וַתְּצַוֵּהוּ עַל־מָרְדֳּכָי לָדַעַת מַה־זֶּה וְעַל־מַה־זֶּה׃
4:5 에스더가 왕의 명으로 자기에게 근시하는 내시 하닥을 불러 명하여 모르드개에게 가서 이것이 무슨 일이며 무슨 연고인가 알아보라 하매
4:5 Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
6:4 וַיֵּצֵא הֲתָךְ אֶל־מָרְדֳּכָי אֶל־רְחֹוב הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי שַׁעַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
4:6 하닥이 대궐 문 앞 성중 광장에 있는 모르드개에게 이르니
4:6 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.
7:4 וַיַּגֶּד־לֹו מָרְדֳּכַי אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר קָרָהוּ וְאֵת ׀ פָּרָשַׁת הַכֶּסֶף אֲשֶׁר אָמַר הָמָן לִשְׁקֹול עַל־גִּנְזֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ [בַּיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (בַּיְּהוּדִים ק) לְאַבְּדָם׃
4:7 모르드개가 자기의 당한 모든 일과 하만이 유다인을 멸하려고 왕의 부고에 바치기로 한 은의 정확한 수효를 하닥에게 말하고
4:7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8:4 וְאֶת־פַּתְשֶׁגֶן כְּתָב־הַדָּת אֲשֶׁר־נִתַּן בְּשׁוּשָׁן לְהַשְׁמִידָם נָתַן לֹו לְהַרְאֹות אֶת־אֶסְתֵּר וּלְהַגִּיד לָהּ וּלְצַוֹּות עָלֶיהָ לָבֹוא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהִתְחַנֶּן־לֹו וּלְבַקֵּשׁ מִלְּפָנָיו עַל־עַמָּהּ׃
4:8 또 유다인을 진멸하라고 수산 궁에서 내린 조서 초본을 하닥에게 주어 에스더에게 뵈어 알게 하고 또 저에게 부탁하여 왕에게 나아가서 그 앞에서 자기의 민족을 위하여 간절히 구하라 하니
4:8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
9:4 וַיָּבֹוא הֲתָךְ וַיַּגֵּד לְאֶסְתֵּר אֵת דִּבְרֵי מָרְדֳּכָי׃
4:9 하닥이 돌아와 모드드개의 말을 에스더에게 고하매
4:9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10:4 וַתֹּאמֶר אֶסְתֵּר לַהֲתָךְ וַתְּצַוֵּהוּ אֶל־מָרְדֳּכָי׃
4:10 에스더가 하닥에게 이르되 너는 모르드개에게 고하기를
4:10 Again Esther spoke unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
11:4 כָּל־עַבְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְעַם־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ יֹודְעִים אֲשֶׁר כָּל־אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר יָבֹוא־אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל־הֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִית אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִקָּרֵא אַחַת דָּתֹו לְהָמִית לְבַד מֵאֲשֶׁר יֹושִׁיט־לֹו הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־שַׁרְבִיט הַזָּהָב וְחָיָה וַאֲנִי לֹא נִקְרֵאתִי לָבֹוא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ זֶה שְׁלֹושִׁים יֹום׃
4:11 왕의 신복과 왕의 각 도 백성이 다 알거니와 무론 남녀하고 부름을 받지 아니하고 안뜰에 들어가서 왕에게 나아가면 오직 죽이는 법이요 왕이 그 자에게 금 홀을 내어 밀어야 살 것이라 이제 내가 부름을 입어 왕에게 나아가지 못한 지가 이미 삼십 일이라 하라
4:11 All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
12:4 וַיַּגִּידוּ לְמָרְדֳּכָי אֵת דִּבְרֵי אֶסְתֵּר׃ פ
4:12 그가 에스더의 말로 모르드개에게 고하매
4:12 And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.
13:4 וַיֹּאמֶר מָרְדֳּכַי לְהָשִׁיב אֶל־אֶסְתֵּר אַל־תְּדַמִּי בְנַפְשֵׁךְ לְהִמָּלֵט בֵּית־הַמֶּלֶךְ מִכָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים׃
4:13 모르드개가 그를 시켜 에스더에게 회답하되 너는 왕궁에 있으니 모든 유다인 중에 홀로 면하리라 생각지 말라
4:13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with yourself that you shall escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.
14:4 כִּי אִם־הַחֲרֵשׁ תַּחֲרִישִׁי בָּעֵת הַזֹּאת רֶוַח וְהַצָּלָה יַעֲמֹוד לַיְּהוּדִים מִמָּקֹום אַחֵר וְאַתְּ וּבֵית־אָבִיךְ תֹּאבֵדוּ וּמִי יֹודֵעַ אִם־לְעֵת כָּזֹאת הִגַּעַתְּ לַמַּלְכוּת׃
4:14 이때에 네가 만일 잠잠하여 말이 없으면 유다인은 다른 데로 말미암아 놓임과 구원을 얻으려니와 너와 네 아비 집은 멸망하리라 네가 왕후의 위를 얻은 것이 이때를 위함이 아닌지 누가 아느냐
4:14 For if you altogether hold your peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father's house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether you are come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
15:4 וַתֹּאמֶר אֶסְתֵּר לְהָשִׁיב אֶל־מָרְדֳּכָי׃
4:15 에스더가 명하여 모르드개에게 회답하되
4:15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
16:4 לֵךְ כְּנֹוס אֶת־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים הַנִּמְצְאִים בְּשׁוּשָׁן וְצוּמוּ עָלַי וְאַל־תֹּאכְלוּ וְאַל־תִּשְׁתּוּ שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים לַיְלָה וָיֹום גַּם־אֲנִי וְנַעֲרֹתַי אָצוּם כֵּן וּבְכֵן אָבֹוא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־כַדָּת וְכַאֲשֶׁר אָבַדְתִּי אָבָדְתִּי׃
4:16 당신은 가서 수산에 있는 유다인을 다 모으고 나를 위하여 금식하되 밤낮 삼 일을 먹지도 말고 마시지도 마소서 나도 나의 시녀로 더불어 이렇게 금식한 후에 규례를 어기고 왕에게 나아가리니 죽으면 죽으리이다
4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast all of you for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17:4 וַיַּעֲבֹר מָרְדֳּכָי וַיַּעַשׂ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־צִוְּתָה עָלָיו אֶסְתֵּר׃ ס
4:17 모르드개가 가서 에스더의 명한 대로 다 행하니라
4:17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
1:5 וַיְהִי ׀ בַּיֹּום הַשְּׁלִישִׁי וַתִּלְבַּשׁ אֶסְתֵּר מַלְכוּת וַתַּעֲמֹד בַּחֲצַר בֵּית־הַמֶּלֶךְ הַפְּנִימִית נֹכַח בֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַמֶּלֶךְ יֹושֵׁב עַל־כִּסֵּא מַלְכוּתֹו בְּבֵית הַמַּלְכוּת נֹכַח פֶּתַח הַבָּיִת׃
5:1 제 삼 일에 에스더가 왕후의 예복을 입고 왕궁 안뜰 곧 어전 맞은편에 서니 왕이 어전에서 전 문을 대하여 보좌에 앉았다가
5:1 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, opposite to the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, opposite to the gate of the house.
2:5 וַיְהִי כִרְאֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה עֹמֶדֶת בֶּחָצֵר נָשְׂאָה חֵן בְּעֵינָיו וַיֹּושֶׁט הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר אֶת־שַׁרְבִיט הַזָּהָב אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדֹו וַתִּקְרַב אֶסְתֵּר וַתִּגַּע בְּרֹאשׁ הַשַּׁרְבִיט׃ ס
5:2 왕후 에스더가 뜰에 선 것을 본즉 심히 사랑스러우므로 손에 잡았던 금 홀을 그에게 내어미니 에스더가 가까이 가서 금 홀 끝을 만진지라
5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
3:5 וַיֹּאמֶר לָהּ הַמֶּלֶךְ מַה־לָּךְ אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְ עַד־חֲצִי הַמַּלְכוּת וְיִנָּתֵן לָךְ׃
5:3 왕이 이르되 왕후 에스더여 그대의 소원이 무엇이며 요구가 무엇이뇨 나라의 절반이라도 그대에게 주겠노라
5:3 Then said the king unto her, What will you, queen Esther? and what is your request? it shall be even given you to the half of the kingdom.
4:5 וַתֹּאמֶר אֶסְתֵּר אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב יָבֹוא הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן הַיֹּום אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂיתִי לֹו׃
5:4 에스더가 가로되 오늘 내가 왕을 위하여 잔치를 베풀었사오니 왕이 선히 여기시거든 하만과 함께 임하소서
5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.
5:5 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ מַהֲרוּ אֶת־הָמָן לַעֲשֹׂות אֶת־דְּבַר אֶסְתֵּר וַיָּבֹא הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָה אֶסְתֵּר׃
5:5 ○ 왕이 가로되 에스더의 말한 대로 하도록 하만을 급히 부르라 하고 이에 왕이 하만과 함께 에스더의 베푼 잔치에 나아가니라
5:5 Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther has said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
6:5 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר בְּמִשְׁתֵּה הַיַּיִן מַה־שְּׁאֵלָתֵךְ וְיִנָּתֵן לָךְ וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְ עַד־חֲצִי הַמַּלְכוּת וְתֵעָשׂ׃
5:6 잔치의 술을 마실 때에 왕이 에스더에게 이르되 그대의 소청이 무엇이뇨 곧 허락하겠노라 그대의 요구가 무엇이뇨 나라의 절반이라 할지라도 시행하겠노라
5:6 And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is your petition? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.
7:5 וַתַּעַן אֶסְתֵּר וַתֹּאמַר שְׁאֵלָתִי וּבַקָּשָׁתִי׃
5:7 에스더가 대답하여 가로되 나의 소청, 나의 요구가 이러하니이다
5:7 Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;
8:5 אִם־מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב לָתֵת אֶת־שְׁאֵלָתִי וְלַעֲשֹׂות אֶת־בַּקָּשָׁתִי יָבֹוא הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה אֲשֶׁר אֶעֱשֶׂה לָהֶם וּמָחָר אֶעֱשֶׂה כִּדְבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
5:8 내가 만일 왕의 목전에서 은혜를 입었고 왕이 내 소청을 허락하시며 내 요구를 시행하시기를 선히 여기시거든 내가 왕과 하만을 위하여 베푸는 잔치에 또 나아오소서 내일은 왕의 말씀대로 하리이다
5:8 If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king has said.
9:5 וַיֵּצֵא הָמָן בַּיֹּום הַהוּא שָׂמֵחַ וְטֹוב לֵב וְכִרְאֹות הָמָן אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ וְלֹא־קָם וְלֹא־זָע מִמֶּנּוּ וַיִּמָּלֵא הָמָן עַל־מָרְדֳּכַי חֵמָה׃
5:9 이 날에 하만이 마음이 기뻐 즐거이 나오더니 모르드개가 대궐 문에 있어 일어나지도 아니하고 몸을 움직이지도 아니하는 것을 보고 심히 노하나
5:9 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
10:5 וַיִּתְאַפַּק הָמָן וַיָּבֹוא אֶל־בֵּיתֹו וַיִּשְׁלַח וַיָּבֵא אֶת־אֹהֲבָיו וְאֶת־זֶרֶשׁ אִשְׁתֹּו׃
5:10 참고 집에 돌아와서 사람을 보내어 그 친구들과 그 아내 세레스를 청하여
5:10 Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.
11:5 וַיְסַפֵּר לָהֶם הָמָן אֶת־כְּבֹוד עָשְׁרֹו וְרֹב בָּנָיו וְאֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר גִּדְּלֹו הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר נִשְּׂאֹו עַל־הַשָּׂרִים וְעַבְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
5:11 자기의 부성한 영광과 자녀가 많은 것과 왕이 자기를 들어 왕의 모든 방백이나 신복들보다 높인 것을 다 말하고
5:11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
12:5 וַיֹּאמֶר הָמָן אַף לֹא־הֵבִיאָה אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה עִם־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂתָה כִּי אִם־אֹותִי וְגַם־לְמָחָר אֲנִי קָרוּא־לָהּ עִם־הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
5:12 또 가로되 왕후 에스더가 그 베푼 잔치에 왕과 함께 오기를 허락 받은 자는 나밖에 없었고 내일도 왕과 함께 청함을 받았느니라
5:12 Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and tomorrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
13:5 וְכָל־זֶה אֵינֶנּוּ שֹׁוֶה לִי בְּכָל־עֵת אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי רֹאֶה אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי יֹושֵׁב בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
5:13 그러나 유다 사람 모르드개가 대궐 문에 앉은 것을 보는 동안에는 이 모든 일이 만족하지 아니하도다
5:13 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
14:5 וַתֹּאמֶר לֹו זֶרֶשׁ אִשְׁתֹּו וְכָל־אֹהֲבָיו יַעֲשׂוּ־עֵץ גָּבֹהַּ חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה וּבַבֹּקֶר ׀ אֱמֹר לַמֶּלֶךְ וְיִתְלוּ אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי עָלָיו וּבֹא־עִם־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה שָׂמֵחַ וַיִּיטַב הַדָּבָר לִפְנֵי הָמָן וַיַּעַשׂ הָעֵץ׃ פ
5:14 그 아내 세레스와 모든 친구가 이르되 오십 규빗이나 높은 나무를 세우고 내일 왕에게 모르드개를 그 나무에 달기를 구하고 왕과 함께 즐거이 잔치에 나아가소서 하만이 그 말을 선히 여기고 명하여 나무를 세우니라
5:14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak you unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go you in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
1:6 בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא נָדְדָה שְׁנַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיֹּאמֶר לְהָבִיא אֶת־סֵפֶר הַזִּכְרֹנֹות דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים וַיִּהְיוּ נִקְרָאִים לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
6:1 이 밤에 왕이 잠이 오지 아니하므로 명하여 역대 일기를 가져다가 자기 앞에서 읽히더니
6:1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
2:6 וַיִּמָּצֵא כָתוּב אֲשֶׁר הִגִּיד מָרְדֳּכַי עַל־בִּגְתָנָא וָתֶרֶשׁ שְׁנֵי סָרִיסֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ מִשֹּׁמְרֵי הַסַּף אֲשֶׁר בִּקְשׁוּ לִשְׁלֹחַ יָד בַּמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ׃
6:2 그 속에 기록하기를 문 지킨 왕의 두 내시 빅다나와 데레스가 아하수에로 왕을 모살하려 하는 것을 모르드개가 고발하였다 하였는지라
6:2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
3:6 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ מַה־נַּעֲשָׂה יְקָר וּגְדוּלָּה לְמָרְדֳּכַי עַל־זֶה וַיֹּאמְרוּ נַעֲרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ מְשָׁרְתָיו לֹא־נַעֲשָׂה עִמֹּו דָּבָר׃
6:3 왕이 가로되 이 일을 인하여 무슨 존귀와 관작을 모르드개에게 베풀었느냐 시신이 대답하되 아무 것도 베풀지 아니하였나이다
6:3 And the king said, What honour and dignity has been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
4:6 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ מִי בֶחָצֵר וְהָמָן בָּא לַחֲצַר בֵּית־הַמֶּלֶךְ הַחִיצֹונָה לֵאמֹר לַמֶּלֶךְ לִתְלֹות אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי עַל־הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִין לֹו׃
6:4 왕이 가로되 누가 뜰에 있느냐 마침 하만이 자기가 세운 나무에 모르드개 달기를 왕께 구하고자 하여 왕궁 바깥 뜰에 이른지라
6:4 And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
5:6 וַיֹּאמְרוּ נַעֲרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֵלָיו הִנֵּה הָמָן עֹמֵד בֶּחָצֵר וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ יָבֹוא׃
6:5 시신이 고하되 하만이 뜰에 섰나이다 왕이 가로되 들어오게 하라 하니
6:5 And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman stands in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
6:6 וַיָּבֹוא הָמָן וַיֹּאמֶר לֹו הַמֶּלֶךְ מַה־לַעֲשֹׂות בָּאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הַמֶּלֶךְ חָפֵץ בִּיקָרֹו וַיֹּאמֶר הָמָן בְּלִבֹּו לְמִי יַחְפֹּץ הַמֶּלֶךְ לַעֲשֹׂות יְקָר יֹותֵר מִמֶּנִּי׃
6:6 하만이 들어오거늘 왕이 묻되 왕이 존귀케 하기를 기뻐하는 사람에게 어떻게 하여야 하겠느뇨 하만이 심중에 이르되 왕이 존귀케 하기를 기뻐하시는 자는 나 외에 누구리요 하고
6:6 So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
7:6 וַיֹּאמֶר הָמָן אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הַמֶּלֶךְ חָפֵץ בִּיקָרֹו׃
6:7 왕께 아뢰되 왕께서 사람을 존귀케 하시려면
6:7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honour,
8:6 יָבִיאוּ לְבוּשׁ מַלְכוּת אֲשֶׁר לָבַשׁ־בֹּו הַמֶּלֶךְ וְסוּס אֲשֶׁר רָכַב עָלָיו הַמֶּלֶךְ וַאֲשֶׁר נִתַּן כֶּתֶר מַלְכוּת בְּרֹאשֹׁו׃
6:8 왕의 입으시는 왕복과 왕의 타시는 말과 머리에 쓰시는 왕관을 취하고
6:8 Let the royal apparel be brought which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
9:6 וְנָתֹון הַלְּבוּשׁ וְהַסּוּס עַל־יַד־אִישׁ מִשָּׂרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַפַּרְתְּמִים וְהִלְבִּישׁוּ אֶת־הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הַמֶּלֶךְ חָפֵץ בִּיקָרֹו וְהִרְכִּיבֻהוּ עַל־הַסּוּס בִּרְחֹוב הָעִיר וְקָרְאוּ לְפָנָיו כָּכָה יֵעָשֶׂה לָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הַמֶּלֶךְ חָפֵץ בִּיקָרֹו׃
6:9 그 왕복과 말을 왕의 방백 중 가장 존귀한 자의 손에 붙여서 왕이 존귀케 하시기를 기뻐하시는 사람에게 옷을 입히고 말을 태워서 성중 거리로 다니며 그 앞에서 반포하여 이르기를 왕이 존귀케 하기를 기뻐하시는 사람에게는 이같이 할 것이라 하게 하소서
6:9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man likewise whom the king delights to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.
10:6 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהָמָן מַהֵר קַח אֶת־הַלְּבוּשׁ וְאֶת־הַסּוּס כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ וַעֲשֵׂה־כֵן לְמָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי הַיֹּושֵׁב בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ אַל־תַּפֵּל דָּבָר מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ׃
6:10 ○ 이에 왕이 하만에게 이르되 너는 네 말대로 속히 왕복과 말을 취하여 대궐 문에 앉은 유다 사람 모르드개에게 행하되 무릇 네가 말한 것에서 조금도 빠짐이 없이 하라
6:10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sits at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.
11:6 וַיִּקַּח הָמָן אֶת־הַלְּבוּשׁ וְאֶת־הַסּוּס וַיַּלְבֵּשׁ אֶת־מָרְדֳּכָי וַיַּרְכִּיבֵהוּ בִּרְחֹוב הָעִיר וַיִּקְרָא לְפָנָיו כָּכָה יֵעָשֶׂה לָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הַמֶּלֶךְ חָפֵץ בִּיקָרֹו׃
6:11 하만이 왕복과 말을 취하여 모르드개에게 옷을 입히고 말을 태워 성중 거리로 다니며 그 앞에서 반포하되 왕이 존귀케 하시기를 기뻐하시는 사람에게는 이같이 할 것이라 하니라
6:11 Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour.
12:6 וַיָּשָׁב מָרְדֳּכַי אֶל־שַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן נִדְחַף אֶל־בֵּיתֹו אָבֵל וַחֲפוּי רֹאשׁ׃
6:12 모르드개는 다시 대궐 문으로 돌아오고 하만은 번뇌하여 머리를 싸고 급히 집으로 돌아와서
6:12 And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
13:6 וַיְסַפֵּר הָמָן לְזֶרֶשׁ אִשְׁתֹּו וּלְכָל־אֹהֲבָיו אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר קָרָהוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹו חֲכָמָיו וְזֶרֶשׁ אִשְׁתֹּו אִם מִזֶּרַע הַיְּהוּדִים מָרְדֳּכַי אֲשֶׁר הַחִלֹּותָ לִנְפֹּל לְפָנָיו לֹא־תוּכַל לֹו כִּי־נָפֹול תִּפֹּול לְפָנָיו׃
6:13 자기의 당한 모든 일을 그 아내 세레스와 모든 친구에게 고하매 그 중 지혜로운 자와 그 아내 세레스가 가로되 모르드개가 과연 유다 족속이면 당신이 그 앞에서 굴욕을 당하기 시작하였으니 능히 저를 이기지 못하고 분명히 그 앞에 엎드러지리이다
6:13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against him, but shall surely fall before him.
14:6 עֹודָם מְדַבְּרִים עִמֹּו וְסָרִיסֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ הִגִּיעוּ וַיַּבְהִלוּ לְהָבִיא אֶת־הָמָן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָה אֶסְתֵּר׃
6:14 아직 말이 그치지 아니하여서 왕의 내시들이 이르러 하만을 데리고 에스더의 베푼 잔치에 빨리 나아가니라
6:14 And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
1:7 וַיָּבֹא הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָמָן לִשְׁתֹּות עִם־אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה׃
7:1 왕이 하만과 함께 또 왕후 에스더의 잔치에 나아가니라
7:1 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
2:7 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר גַּם בַּיֹּום הַשֵּׁנִי בְּמִשְׁתֵּה הַיַּיִן מַה־שְּׁאֵלָתֵךְ אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וְתִנָּתֵן לָךְ וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְ עַד־חֲצִי הַמַּלְכוּת וְתֵעָשׂ׃
7:2 왕이 이 둘째 날 잔치에 술을 마실 때에 다시 에스더에게 물어 가로되 왕후 에스더여 그대의 소청이 무엇이뇨 곧 허락하겠노라 그대의 요구가 무엇이뇨 곧 나라의 절반이라 할지라도 시행하겠노라
7:2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is your petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
3:7 וַתַּעַן אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וַתֹּאמַר אִם־מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב תִּנָּתֶן־לִי נַפְשִׁי בִּשְׁאֵלָתִי וְעַמִּי בְּבַקָּשָׁתִי׃
7:3 왕후 에스더가 대답하여 가로되 왕이여 내가 만일 왕의 목전에서 은혜를 입었으며 왕이 선히 여기시거든 내 소청대로 내 생명을 내게 주시고 내 요구대로 내 민족을 내게 주소서
7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
4:7 כִּי נִמְכַּרְנוּ אֲנִי וְעַמִּי לְהַשְׁמִיד לַהֲרֹוג וּלְאַבֵּד וְאִלּוּ לַעֲבָדִים וְלִשְׁפָחֹות נִמְכַּרְנוּ הֶחֱרַשְׁתִּי כִּי אֵין הַצָּר שֹׁוֶה בְּנֵזֶק הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ ס
7:4 나와 내 민족이 팔려서 죽임과 도륙함과 진멸함을 당하게 되었나이다 만일 우리가 노비로 팔렸더면 내가 잠잠하였으리이다 그래도 대적이 왕의 손해를 보충하지 못하였으리이다
7:4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
5:7 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ וַיֹּאמֶר לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה מִי הוּא זֶה וְאֵי־זֶה הוּא אֲשֶׁר־מְלָאֹו לִבֹּו לַעֲשֹׂות כֵּן׃
7:5 아하수에로 왕이 왕후 에스더에게 일러 가로되 감히 이런 일을 심중에 품은 자가 누구며 그가 어디 있느뇨
7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
6:7 וַתֹּאמֶר־אֶסְתֵּר אִישׁ צַר וְאֹויֵב הָמָן הָרָע הַזֶּה וְהָמָן נִבְעַת מִלִּפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַמַּלְכָּה׃
7:6 에스더가 가로되 대적과 원수는 이 악한 하만이니이다 하니 하만이 왕과 왕후 앞에서 두려워하거늘
7:6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
7:7 וְהַמֶּלֶךְ קָם בַּחֲמָתֹו מִמִּשְׁתֵּה הַיַּיִן אֶל־גִּנַּת הַבִּיתָן וְהָמָן עָמַד לְבַקֵּשׁ עַל־נַפְשֹׁו מֵאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה כִּי רָאָה כִּי־כָלְתָה אֵלָיו הָרָעָה מֵאֵת הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
7:7 왕이 노하여 일어나서 잔치 자리를 떠나 왕궁 후원으로 들어가니라 하만이 일어서서 왕후 에스더에게 생명을 구하니 이는 왕이 자기에게 화를 내리기로 결심한 줄 앎이더라
7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
8:7 וְהַמֶּלֶךְ שָׁב מִגִּנַּת הַבִּיתָן אֶל־בֵּית ׀ מִשְׁתֵּה הַיַּיִן וְהָמָן נֹפֵל עַל־הַמִּטָּה אֲשֶׁר אֶסְתֵּר עָלֶיהָ וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ הֲגַם לִכְבֹּושׁ אֶת־הַמַּלְכָּה עִמִּי בַּבָּיִת הַדָּבָר יָצָא מִפִּי הַמֶּלֶךְ וּפְנֵי הָמָן חָפוּ׃ ס
7:8 왕이 후원으로부터 잔치 자리에 돌아오니 하만이 에스더의 앉은 걸상 위에 엎드렸거늘 왕이 가로되 저가 궁중 내 앞에서 왕후를 강간까지 하고자 하는가 이 말이 왕의 입에서 나오매 무리가 하만의 얼굴을 싸더라
7:8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
9:7 וַיֹּאמֶר חַרְבֹונָה אֶחָד מִן־הַסָּרִיסִים לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ גַּם הִנֵּה־הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה הָמָן לְמָרְדֳּכַי אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר־טֹוב עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ עֹמֵד בְּבֵית הָמָן גָּבֹהַּ חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ תְּלֻהוּ עָלָיו׃
7:9 왕을 모신 내시 중에 하르보나가 왕에게 아뢰되 왕을 위하여 충성된 말로 고발한 모르드개를 달고자 하여 하만이 고가 오십 규빗 되는 나무를 준비하였는데 이제 그 나무가 하만의 집에 섰나이다 왕이 가로되 하만을 그 나무에 달라 하매
7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, stands in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
10:7 וַיִּתְלוּ אֶת־הָמָן עַל־הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִין לְמָרְדֳּכָי וַחֲמַת הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׁכָכָה׃ פ
7:10 모르드개를 달고자 한 나무에 하만을 다니 왕의 노가 그치니라
7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
1:8 בַּיֹּום הַהוּא נָתַן הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה אֶת־בֵּית הָמָן צֹרֵר [הַיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (הַיְּהוּדִים ק) וּמָרְדֳּכַי בָּא לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ כִּי־הִגִּידָה אֶסְתֵּר מַה הוּא־לָהּ׃
8:1 당일에 아하수에로 왕이 유다인의 대적 하만의 집을 왕후 에스더에게 주니라 에스더가 모르드개는 자기에게 어떻게 관계됨을 왕께 고한 고로 모르드개가 왕의 앞에 나아오니
8:1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
2:8 וַיָּסַר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־טַבַּעְתֹּו אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱבִיר מֵהָמָן וַיִּתְּנָהּ לְמָרְדֳּכָי וַתָּשֶׂם אֶסְתֵּר אֶת־מָרְדֳּכַי עַל־בֵּית הָמָן׃ פ
8:2 왕이 하만에게 거둔 반지를 빼어 모르드개에게 준지라 에스더가 모르드개로 하만의 집을 주관하게 하니라
8:2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
3:8 וַתֹּוסֶף אֶסְתֵּר וַתְּדַבֵּר לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַתִּפֹּל לִפְנֵי רַגְלָיו וַתֵּבְךְּ וַתִּתְחַנֶּן־לֹו לְהַעֲבִיר אֶת־רָעַת הָמָן הָאֲגָגִי וְאֵת מַחֲשַׁבְתֹּו אֲשֶׁר חָשַׁב עַל־הַיְּהוּדִים׃
8:3 ○ 에스더가 다시 왕의 앞에서 말씀하며 왕의 발 아래 엎드려 아각 사람 하만이 유다인을 해하려 한 악한 꾀를 제하기를 울며 구하니
8:3 And Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
4:8 וַיֹּושֶׁט הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר אֵת שַׁרְבִט הַזָּהָב וַתָּקָם אֶסְתֵּר וַתַּעֲמֹד לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
8:4 왕이 에스더를 향하여 금 홀을 내어미는지라 에스더가 일어나 왕의 앞에 서서
8:4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,
5:8 וַתֹּאמֶר אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב וְאִם־מָצָאתִי חֵן לְפָנָיו וְכָשֵׁר הַדָּבָר לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְטֹובָה אֲנִי בְּעֵינָיו יִכָּתֵב לְהָשִׁיב אֶת־הַסְּפָרִים מַחֲשֶׁבֶת הָמָן בֶּן־הַמְּדָתָא הָאֲגָגִי אֲשֶׁר כָּתַב לְאַבֵּד אֶת־הַיְּהוּדִים אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ׃
8:5 가로되 왕이 만일 즐겨하시며 내가 왕의 목전에 은혜를 입었고 또 왕이 이 일을 선히 여기시며 나를 기쁘게 보실진대 조서를 내리사 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만이 왕의 각 도에 있는 유다인을 멸하려고 꾀하고 쓴 조서를 취소하소서
8:5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces:
6:8 כִּי אֵיכָכָה אוּכַל וְרָאִיתִי בָּרָעָה אֲשֶׁר־יִמְצָא אֶת־עַמִּי וְאֵיכָכָה אוּכַל וְרָאִיתִי בְּאָבְדַן מֹולַדְתִּי׃ ס
8:6 내가 어찌 내 민족의 화 당함을 참아 보며 내 친척의 멸망함을 참아 보리이까
8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?
7:8 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹשׁ לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וּלְמָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי הִנֵּה בֵית־הָמָן נָתַתִּי לְאֶסְתֵּר וְאֹתֹו תָּלוּ עַל־הָעֵץ עַל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַח יָדֹו [בַּיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (בַּיְּהוּדִים׃ ק)
8:7 아하수에로 왕이 왕후 에스더와 유다인 모르드개에게 이르되 하만이 유다인을 살해하려 하므로 나무에 달렸고 내가 그 집으로 에스더에게 주었으니
8:7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
8:8 וְאַתֶּם כִּתְבוּ עַל־הַיְּהוּדִים כַּטֹּוב בְּעֵינֵיכֶם בְּשֵׁם הַמֶּלֶךְ וְחִתְמוּ בְּטַבַּעַת הַמֶּלֶךְ כִּי־כְתָב אֲשֶׁר־נִכְתָּב בְּשֵׁם־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְנַחְתֹּום בְּטַבַּעַת הַמֶּלֶךְ אֵין לְהָשִׁיב׃
8:8 너희는 왕의 명의로 유다인에게 조서를 뜻대로 쓰고 왕의 반지로 인을 칠지어다 왕의 이름을 쓰고 왕의 반지로 인친 조서는 누구든지 취소할 수 없음이니라
8:8 Write all of you also for the Jews, as it likes you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.
9:8 וַיִּקָּרְאוּ סֹפְרֵי־הַמֶּלֶךְ בָּעֵת־הַהִיא בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁלִישִׁי הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ סִיוָן בִּשְׁלֹושָׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים בֹּו וַיִּכָּתֵב כְּכָל־אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה מָרְדֳּכַי אֶל־הַיְּהוּדִים וְאֶל הָאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנִים־וְהַפַּחֹות וְשָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינֹות אֲשֶׁר ׀ מֵהֹדּוּ וְעַד־כּוּשׁ שֶׁבַע וְעֶשְׂרִים וּמֵאָה מְדִינָה מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה כִּכְתָבָהּ וְעַם וָעָם כִּלְשֹׁנֹו וְאֶל־הַיְּהוּדִים כִּכְתָבָם וְכִלְשֹׁונָם׃
8:9 그 때 시완월 곧 삼 월 이십 삼 일에 왕의 서기관이 소집되고 무릇 모르드개의 시키는 대로 조서를 써서 인도로부터 구스까지의 일백 이십 칠 도 유다인과 대신과 방백과 관원에게 전할새 각 도의 문자와 각 민족의 방언과 유다인의 문자와 방언대로 쓰되
8:9 Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.
10:8 וַיִּכְתֹּב בְּשֵׁם הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹשׁ וַיַּחְתֹּם בְּטַבַּעַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח סְפָרִים בְּיַד הָרָצִים בַּסּוּסִים רֹכְבֵי הָרֶכֶשׁ הָאֲחַשְׁתְּרָנִים בְּנֵי הָרַמָּכִים׃
8:10 아하수에로 왕의 명의로 쓰고 왕의 반지로 인을 치고 그 조서를 역졸들에게 부쳐 전하게 하니 저희는 왕궁에서 길러서 왕의 일에 쓰는 준마를 타는 자들이라
8:10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries:
11:8 אֲשֶׁר נָתַן הַמֶּלֶךְ לַיְּהוּדִים ׀ אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל־עִיר־וָעִיר לְהִקָּהֵל וְלַעֲמֹד עַל־נַפְשָׁם לְהַשְׁמִיד וְלַהֲרֹג וּלְאַבֵּד אֶת־כָּל־חֵיל עַם וּמְדִינָה הַצָּרִים אֹתָם טַף וְנָשִׁים וּשְׁלָלָם לָבֹוז׃
8:11 조서에는 왕이 여러 고을에 있는 유다인에게 허락하여 저희로 함께 모여 스스로 생명을 보호하여 각 도의 백성 중 세력을 가지고 저희를 치려 하는 자와 그 처자를 죽이고 도륙하고 진멸하고 그 재산을 탈취하게 하되
8:11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,
12:8 בְּיֹום אֶחָד בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ בִּשְׁלֹושָׁה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר׃
8:12 아하수에로 왕의 각 도에서 아달월 곧 십 이 월 십 삼 일 하루 동안에 하게 하였고
8:12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.
13:8 פַּתְשֶׁגֶן הַכְּתָב לְהִנָּתֵן דָּת בְּכָל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה גָּלוּי לְכָל־הָעַמִּים וְלִהְיֹות [הַיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (הַיְּהוּדִים ק) [עֲתוּדִים כ] (עֲתִידִים ק) לַיֹּום הַזֶּה לְהִנָּקֵם מֵאֹיְבֵיהֶם׃
8:13 이 조서 초본을 각 도에 전하고 각 민족에게 반포하고 유다인으로 예비하였다가 그 날에 대적에게 원수를 갚게 한지라
8:13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.
14:8 הָרָצִים רֹכְבֵי הָרֶכֶשׁ הָאֲחַשְׁתְּרָנִים יָצְאוּ מְבֹהָלִים וּדְחוּפִים בִּדְבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַדָּת נִתְּנָה בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה׃ פ
8:14 왕의 명이 심히 급하매 역졸이 왕의 일에 쓰는 준마를 타고 빨리 나가고 그 조서가 도성 수산에도 반포되니라
8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
15:8 וּמָרְדֳּכַי יָצָא ׀ מִלִּפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּלְבוּשׁ מַלְכוּת תְּכֵלֶת וָחוּר וַעֲטֶרֶת זָהָב גְּדֹולָה וְתַכְרִיךְ בּוּץ וְאַרְגָּמָן וְהָעִיר שׁוּשָׁן צָהֲלָה וְשָׂמֵחָה׃
8:15 ○ 모르드개가 푸르고 흰 조복을 입고 큰 금 면류관을 쓰고 자색 가는 베 겉옷을 입고 왕의 앞에서 나오니 수산 성이 즐거이 부르며 기뻐하고
8:15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
16:8 לַיְּהוּדִים הָיְתָה אֹורָה וְשִׂמְחָה וְשָׂשֹׂן וִיקָר׃
8:16 유다인에게는 영광과 즐거움과 기쁨과 존귀함이 있는지라
8:16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.
17:8 וּבְכָל־מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה וּבְכָל־עִיר וָעִיר מְקֹום אֲשֶׁר דְּבַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְדָתֹו מַגִּיעַ שִׂמְחָה וְשָׂשֹׂון לַיְּהוּדִים מִשְׁתֶּה וְיֹום טֹוב וְרַבִּים מֵעַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ מִתְיַהֲדִים כִּי־נָפַל פַּחַד־הַיְּהוּדִים עֲלֵיהֶם׃
8:17 왕의 조명이 이르는 각 도, 각 읍에서 유다인이 즐기고 기뻐하여 잔치를 베풀고 그 날로 경절을 삼으니 본토 백성이 유다인을 두려워하여 유다인 되는 자가 많더라
8:17 And in every province, and in every city, anywhere the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
1:9 וּבִשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר חֹדֶשׁ הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר בִּשְׁלֹושָׁה עָשָׂר יֹום בֹּו אֲשֶׁר הִגִּיעַ דְּבַר־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְדָתֹו לְהֵעָשֹׂות בַּיֹּום אֲשֶׁר שִׂבְּרוּ אֹיְבֵי הַיְּהוּדִים לִשְׁלֹוט בָּהֶם וְנַהֲפֹוךְ הוּא אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁלְטוּ הַיְּהוּדִים הֵמָּה בְּשֹׂנְאֵיהֶם׃
9:1 아달월 곧 십 이 월 십 삼 일은 왕의 조명을 행하게 된 날이라 유다인의 대적이 저희를 제어하기를 바랐더니 유다인이 도리어 자기를 미워하는 자를 제어하게 된 그 날에
9:1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
2:9 נִקְהֲלוּ הַיְּהוּדִים בְּעָרֵיהֶם בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֳחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ לִשְׁלֹחַ יָד בִּמְבַקְשֵׁי רָעָתָם וְאִישׁ לֹא־עָמַד לִפְנֵיהֶם כִּי־נָפַל פַּחְדָּם עַל־כָּל־הָעַמִּים׃
9:2 유다인들이 아하수에로 왕의 각 도, 각 읍에 모여 자기를 해하고자 하는 자를 죽이려 하니 모든 민족이 저희를 두려워하여 능히 막을 자가 없고
9:2 The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
3:9 וְכָל־שָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינֹות וְהָאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנִים וְהַפַּחֹות וְעֹשֵׂי הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר לַמֶּלֶךְ מְנַשְּׂאִים אֶת־הַיְּהוּדִים כִּי־נָפַל פַּחַד־מָרְדֳּכַי עֲלֵיהֶם׃
9:3 각 도 모든 관원과 대신과 방백과 왕의 사무를 보는 자들이 모르드개를 두려워하므로 다 유다인을 도우니
9:3 And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
4:9 כִּי־גָדֹול מָרְדֳּכַי בְּבֵית הַמֶּלֶךְ וְשָׁמְעֹו הֹולֵךְ בְּכָל־הַמְּדִינֹות כִּי־הָאִישׁ מָרְדֳּכַי הֹולֵךְ וְגָדֹול׃ פ
9:4 모르드개가 왕궁에서 존귀하여 점점 창대하매 이 사람 모르드개의 명성이 각 도에 퍼지더라
9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
5:9 וַיַּכּוּ הַיְּהוּדִים בְּכָל־אֹיְבֵיהֶם מַכַּת־חֶרֶב וְהֶרֶג וְאַבְדָן וַיַּעֲשׂוּ בְשֹׂנְאֵיהֶם כִּרְצֹונָם׃
9:5 유다인이 칼로 그 모든 대적을 쳐서 도륙하고 진멸하고 자기를 미워하는 자에게 마음대로 행하고
9:5 Thus the Jews stroke all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.
6:9 וּבְשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה הָרְגוּ הַיְּהוּדִים וְאַבֵּד חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות אִישׁ׃
9:6 유다인이 또 도성 수산에서 오백 인을 죽이고 멸하고
9:6 And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
7:9 וְאֵת ׀ פַּרְשַׁנְדָּתָא וְאֵת ׀ דַּלְפֹון וְאֵת ׀ אַסְפָּתָא׃
9:7 또 바산다다와 달본과 아스바다와
9:7 And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
8:9 וְאֵת ׀ פֹּורָתָא וְאֵת ׀ אֲדַלְיָא וְאֵת ׀ אֲרִידָתָא׃
9:8 보라다와 아달리야와 아리다다와
9:8 And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,
9:9 וְאֵת ׀ פַּרְמַשְׁתָּא וְאֵת ׀ אֲרִיסַי וְאֵת ׀ אֲרִדַי וְאֵת ׀ וַיְזָתָא׃
9:9 바마스다와 아리새와 아리대와 왜사다
9:9 And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,
10:9 עֲשֶׂרֶת בְּנֵי הָמָן בֶּן־הַמְּדָתָא צֹרֵר הַיְּהוּדִים הָרָגוּ וּבַבִּזָּה לֹא שָׁלְחוּ אֶת־יָדָם׃
9:10 곧 함므다다의 손자요 유다인의 대적 하만의 열 아들을 죽였으나 그 재산에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라
9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
11:9 בַּיֹּום הַהוּא בָּא מִסְפַּר הַהֲרוּגִים בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ ס
9:11 ○ 그 날에 도성 수산에서 도륙한 자의 수효를 왕께 고하니
9:11 On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
12:9 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה הָרְגוּ הַיְּהוּדִים וְאַבֵּד חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות אִישׁ וְאֵת עֲשֶׂרֶת בְּנֵי־הָמָן בִּשְׁאָר מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ מֶה עָשׂוּ וּמַה־שְּׁאֵלָתֵךְ וְיִנָּתֵן לָךְ וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְ עֹוד וְתֵעָשׂ׃
9:12 왕이 왕후 에스더에게 이르되 유다인이 도성 수산에서 이미 오백 인을 죽이고 멸하고 또 하만의 열 아들을 죽였으니 왕의 다른 도에서는 어떠하였겠느뇨 이제 그대의 소청이 무엇이뇨 곧 허락하겠노라 그대의 요구가 무엇이뇨 또한 시행하겠노라
9:12 And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is your petition? and it shall be granted you: or what is your request further? and it shall be done.
13:9 וַתֹּאמֶר אֶסְתֵּר אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב יִנָּתֵן גַּם־מָחָר לַיְּהוּדִים אֲשֶׁר בְּשׁוּשָׁן לַעֲשֹׂות כְּדָת הַיֹּום וְאֵת עֲשֶׂרֶת בְּנֵי־הָמָן יִתְלוּ עַל־הָעֵץ׃
9:13 에스더가 가로되 왕이 만일 선히 여기시거든 수산에 거하는 유다인으로 내일도 오늘날 조서대로 행하게 하시고 하만의 열 아들의 시체를 나무에 달게 하소서
9:13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
14:9 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהֵעָשֹׂות כֵּן וַתִּנָּתֵן דָּת בְּשׁוּשָׁן וְאֵת עֲשֶׂרֶת בְּנֵי־הָמָן תָּלוּ׃
9:14 왕이 그대로 행하기를 허락하고 조서를 수산에 내리니 하만의 열 아들의 시체가 달리니라
9:14 And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
15:9 וַיִּקָּהֲלוּ [הַיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (הַיְּהוּדִים ק) אֲשֶׁר־בְּשׁוּשָׁן גַּם בְּיֹום אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר וַיַּהַרְגוּ בְשׁוּשָׁן שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות אִישׁ וּבַבִּזָּה לֹא שָׁלְחוּ אֶת־יָדָם׃
9:15 아달월 십 사 일에도 수산에 있는 유다인이 모여 또 삼백 인을 수산에서 도륙하되 그 재산에는 손을 대지 아니하였고
9:15 For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
16:9 וּשְׁאָר הַיְּהוּדִים אֲשֶׁר בִּמְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ נִקְהֲלוּ ׀ וְעָמֹד עַל־נַפְשָׁם וְנֹוחַ מֵאֹיְבֵיהֶם וְהָרֹג בְּשֹׂנְאֵיהֶם חֲמִשָּׁה וְשִׁבְעִים אָלֶף וּבַבִּזָּה לֹא שָׁלְחוּ אֶת־יָדָם׃
9:16 왕의 각 도에 있는 다른 유다인들이 모여 스스로 생명을 보호하여 대적들에게서 벗어나며 자기를 미워하는 자 칠만 오천 인을 도륙하되 그 재산에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라
9:16 But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
17:9 בְּיֹום־שְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר וְנֹוחַ בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר בֹּו וְעָשֹׂה אֹתֹו יֹום מִשְׁתֶּה וְשִׂמְחָה׃
9:17 ○ 아달월 십 삼 일에 그 일을 행하였고 십 사 일에 쉬며 그 날에 잔치를 베풀어 즐겼고
9:17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
18:9 [וְהַיְּהוּדִיִּים כ] (וְהַיְּהוּדִים ק) אֲשֶׁר־בְּשׁוּשָׁן נִקְהֲלוּ בִּשְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר בֹּו וּבְאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר בֹּו וְנֹוחַ בַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר בֹּו וְעָשֹׂה אֹתֹו יֹום מִשְׁתֶּה וְשִׂמְחָה׃
9:18 수산에 거한 유다인은 십 삼 일과 십 사 일에 모였고 십 오 일에 쉬며 이 날에 잔치를 베풀어 즐긴지라
9:18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
19:9 עַל־כֵּן הַיְּהוּדִים [הַפְּרֹוזִים כ] (הַפְּרָזִים ק) הַיֹּשְׁבִים בְּעָרֵי הַפְּרָזֹות עֹשִׂים אֵת יֹום אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר שִׂמְחָה וּמִשְׁתֶּה וְיֹום טֹוב וּמִשְׁלֹוחַ מָנֹות אִישׁ לְרֵעֵהוּ׃ פ
9:19 그러므로 촌촌의 유다인 곧 성이 없는 고을 고을에 거하는 자들이 아달월 십 사 일로 경절을 삼아 잔치를 베풀고 즐기며 서로 예물을 주더라
9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the towns without protective walls, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
20:9 וַיִּכְתֹּב מָרְדֳּכַי אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיִּשְׁלַח סְפָרִים אֶל־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל־מְדִינֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ הַקְּרֹובִים וְהָרְחֹוקִים׃
9:20 ○ 모르드개가 이 일을 기록하고 아하수에로 왕의 각 도에 있는 모든 유다인에게 무론 원근하고 글을 보내어 이르기를
9:20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,
21:9 לְקַיֵּם עֲלֵיהֶם לִהְיֹות עֹשִׂים אֵת יֹום אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר לְחֹדֶשׁ אֲדָר וְאֵת יֹום־חֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר בֹּו בְּכָל־שָׁנָה וְשָׁנָה׃
9:21 한 규례를 세워 해마다 아달월 십 사 일과 십 오 일을 지키라
9:21 To establish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
22:9 כַּיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר־נָחוּ בָהֶם הַיְּהוּדִים מֵאֹויְבֵיהֶם וְהַחֹדֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר נֶהְפַּךְ לָהֶם מִיָּגֹון לְשִׂמְחָה וּמֵאֵבֶל לְיֹום טֹוב לַעֲשֹׂות אֹותָם יְמֵי מִשְׁתֶּה וְשִׂמְחָה וּמִשְׁלֹוחַ מָנֹות אִישׁ לְרֵעֵהוּ וּמַתָּנֹות לָאֶבְיֹונִים׃
9:22 이 달 이 날에 유다인이 대적에게서 벗어나서 평안함을 얻어 슬픔이 변하여 기쁨이 되고 애통이 변하여 길한 날이 되었으니 이 두 날을 지켜 잔치를 베풀고 즐기며 서로 예물을 주며 가난한 자를 구제하라 하매
9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
23:9 וְקִבֵּל הַיְּהוּדִים אֵת אֲשֶׁר־הֵחֵלּוּ לַעֲשֹׂות וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר־כָּתַב מָרְדֳּכַי אֲלֵיהֶם׃
9:23 유다인이 자기들의 이미 시작한 대로 또는 모르드개의 보낸 글대로 계속하여 행하였으니
9:23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;
24:9 כִּי הָמָן בֶּן־הַמְּדָתָא הָאֲגָגִי צֹרֵר כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים חָשַׁב עַל־הַיְּהוּדִים לְאַבְּדָם וְהִפִּיל פּוּר הוּא הַגֹּורָל לְהֻמָּם וּלְאַבְּדָם׃
9:24 곧 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 모든 유다인의 대적 하만이 유다인을 진멸하기를 꾀하고 부르 곧 제비를 뽑아 저희를 죽이고 멸하려 하였으나
9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
25:9 וּבְבֹאָהּ לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אָמַר עִם־הַסֵּפֶר יָשׁוּב מַחֲשַׁבְתֹּו הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר־חָשַׁב עַל־הַיְּהוּדִים עַל־רֹאשֹׁו וְתָלוּ אֹתֹו וְאֶת־בָּנָיו עַל־הָעֵץ׃
9:25 에스더가 왕의 앞에 나아감을 인하여 왕이 조서를 내려 하만이 유다인을 해하려던 악한 꾀를 그 머리에 돌려보내어 하만과 그 여러 아들을 나무에 달게 하였으므로
9:25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
26:9 עַל־כֵּן קָרְאוּ לַיָּמִים הָאֵלֶּה פוּרִים עַל־שֵׁם הַפּוּר עַל־כֵּן עַל־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי הָאִגֶּרֶת הַזֹּאת וּמָה־רָאוּ עַל־כָּכָה וּמָה הִגִּיעַ אֲלֵיהֶם׃
9:26 무리가 부르의 이름을 좇아 이 두 날을 부림이라 하고 유다인이 이 글의 모든 말과 이 일에 보고 당한 것을 인하여
9:26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
27:9 קִיְּמוּ [וְקִבֵּל כ] (וְקִבְּלוּ ק) הַיְּהוּדִים ׀ עֲלֵיהֶם ׀ וְעַל־זַרְעָם וְעַל כָּל־הַנִּלְוִים עֲלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יַעֲבֹור לִהְיֹות עֹשִׂים אֵת שְׁנֵי הַיָּמִים הָאֵלֶּה כִּכְתָבָם וְכִזְמַנָּם בְּכָל־שָׁנָה וְשָׁנָה׃
9:27 뜻을 정하고 자기와 자손과 자기와 화합한 자들이 해마다 그 기록한 정기에 이 두 날을 연하여 지켜 폐하지 아니하기로 작정하고
9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
28:9 וְהַיָּמִים הָאֵלֶּה נִזְכָּרִים וְנַעֲשִׂים בְּכָל־דֹּור וָדֹור מִשְׁפָּחָה וּמִשְׁפָּחָה מְדִינָה וּמְדִינָה וְעִיר וָעִיר וִימֵי הַפּוּרִים הָאֵלֶּה לֹא יַעַבְרוּ מִתֹּוךְ הַיְּהוּדִים וְזִכְרָם לֹא־יָסוּף מִזַּרְעָם׃ ס
9:28 각 도, 각 읍, 각 집에서 대대로 이 두 날을 기념하여 지키되 이 부림일을 유다인 중에서 폐하지 않게 하고 그 자손 중에서도 기념함이 폐하지 않게 하였더라
9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
29:9 וַתִּכְתֹּב אֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה בַת־אֲבִיחַיִל וּמָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי אֶת־כָּל־תֹּקֶף לְקַיֵּם אֵת אִגֶּרֶת הַפּוּרִים הַזֹּאת הַשֵּׁנִית׃
9:29 아비하일의 딸 왕후 에스더와 유다인 모르드개가 전권으로 글을 쓰고 부림에 대한 이 둘째 편지를 굳이 지키게 하되
9:29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
30:9 וַיִּשְׁלַח סְפָרִים אֶל־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִים אֶל־שֶׁבַע וְעֶשְׂרִים וּמֵאָה מְדִינָה מַלְכוּת אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ דִּבְרֵי שָׁלֹום וֶאֱמֶת׃
9:30 화평하고 진실한 말로 편지를 써서 아하수에로의 나라 일백 이십 칠 도에 있는 유다 모든 사람에게 보내어
9:30 And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,
31:9 לְקַיֵּם אֵת־יְמֵי הַפֻּרִים הָאֵלֶּה בִּזְמַנֵּיהֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר קִיַּם עֲלֵיהֶם מָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי וְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה וְכַאֲשֶׁר קִיְּמוּ עַל־נַפְשָׁם וְעַל־זַרְעָם דִּבְרֵי הַצֹּמֹות וְזַעֲקָתָם׃
9:31 정한 기한에 이 부림일을 지키게 하였으니 이는 유다인 모르드개와 왕후 에스더의 명한 바와 유다인이 금식하며 부르짖은 것을 인하여 자기와 자기 자손을 위하여 정한 바가 있음이더라
9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had commanded with authority them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.
32:9 וּמַאֲמַר אֶסְתֵּר קִיַּם דִּבְרֵי הַפֻּרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְנִכְתָּב בַּסֵּפֶר׃ פ
9:32 에스더의 명령이 이 부림에 대한 일을 견고히 하였고 그 일이 책에 기록되었더라
9:32 And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.
1:10 וַיָּשֶׂם הַמֶּלֶךְ [אֲחַשֵׁרֹשׁ כ] (אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ ׀ ק) מַס עַל־הָאָרֶץ וְאִיֵּי הַיָּם׃
10:1 아하수에로 왕이 그 본토와 바다 섬들로 공을 바치게 하였더라
10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.
2:10 וְכָל־מַעֲשֵׂה תָקְפֹּו וּגְבוּרָתֹו וּפָרָשַׁת גְּדֻלַּת מָרְדֳּכַי אֲשֶׁר גִּדְּלֹו הַמֶּלֶךְ הֲלֹוא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי מָדַי וּפָרָס׃
10:2 왕의 능력의 모든 행적과 모르드개를 높여 존귀케 한 사적이 메대와 바사 열왕의 일기에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, unto which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
3:10 כִּי ׀ מָרְדֳּכַי הַיְּהוּדִי מִשְׁנֶה לַמֶּלֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֹושׁ וְגָדֹול לַיְּהוּדִים וְרָצוּי לְרֹב אֶחָיו דֹּרֵשׁ טֹוב לְעַמֹּו וְדֹבֵר שָׁלֹום לְכָל־זַרְעֹו׃
10:3 유다인 모르드개가 아하수에로 왕의 다음이 되고 유다인 중에 존대하여 그 허다한 형제에게 굄을 받고 그 백성의 이익을 도모하며 그 모든 종족을 안위하였더라
10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
