24:1 Wenn jemand ein Weib nimmt und ehelicht sie, und sie nicht Gnade findet vor seinen Augen, weil er etwas schändliches an ihr gefunden hat, so soll er einen Scheidebrief schreiben und ihr in die Hand geben und sie aus seinem Haus entlassen.
24:1 When a man has taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he has found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
24:2 Wenn sie dann aus seinem Hause gegangen ist und hingeht und wird eines andern Weib,
24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
24:3 und der andere ihr auch gram wird und einen Scheidebrief schreibt und ihr in die Hand gibt und sie aus seinem Hause läßt, oder so der andere Mann stirbt, der sie zum Weibe genommen hatte:
24:3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
24:4 so kann sie ihr erster Mann, der sie entließ, nicht wiederum nehmen, daß sie sein Weib sei, nachdem sie unrein ist, den solches ist ein Greuel vor dem HERRN, auf daß du nicht eine Sünde über das Land bringst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gegeben hat.
24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
24:5 Wenn jemand kurz zuvor ein Weib genommen hat, der soll nicht in die Heerfahrt ziehen, und man soll ihm nichts auflegen. Er soll frei in seinem Hause sein ein Jahr lang, daß er fröhlich sei mit seinem Weibe, das er genommen hat.
24:5 When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he has taken.
24:6 Du sollst nicht zum Pfande nehmen den unteren und den oberen Mühlstein; denn damit hättest du das Leben zum Pfand genommen.
24:6 No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he takes a man's life to pledge.
24:7 Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der aus seinen Brüdern, aus den Kindern Israel, eine Seele stiehlt, und versetzt oder verkauft sie: solcher Dieb soll sterben, daß du das Böse von dir tust.
24:7 If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and makes merchandise of him, or sells him; then that thief shall die; and you shall put evil away from among you.
24:8 Hüte dich bei der Plage des Aussatzes, daß du mit Fleiß haltest und tust alles, was dich die Priester, die Leviten, lehren; wie ich ihnen geboten habe, so sollt ihr's halten und darnach tun.
24:8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so all of you shall observe to do.
24:9 Bedenke, was der HERR, dein Gott, tat mit Mirjam auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget.
24:9 Remember what the LORD your God did unto Miriam by the way, after that all of you were come forth out of Egypt.
24:10 Wenn du deinem Nächsten irgend eine Schuld borgst, so sollst du nicht in sein Haus gehen und ihm ein Pfand nehmen,
24:10 When you do lend your brother any thing, you shall not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
24:11 sondern du sollst außen stehen, und er, dem du borgst, soll sein Pfand zu dir herausbringen.
24:11 You shall stand abroad, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto you.
24:12 Ist er aber ein Dürftiger, so sollst du dich nicht schlafen legen über seinem Pfand,
24:12 And if the man be poor, you shall not sleep with his pledge:
24:13 sondern sollst ihm sein Pfand wiedergeben, wenn die Sonne untergeht, daß er in seinem Kleide schlafe und segne dich. Das wird dir vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, eine Gerechtigkeit sein.
24:13 In any case you shall deliver him the pledge again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness unto you before the LORD your God.
24:14 Du sollst dem Dürftigen und Armen seinen Lohn nicht vorenthalten, er sei von deinen Brüdern oder den Fremdlingen, die in deinem Lande und in deinen Toren sind,
24:14 You shall not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brethren, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates:
24:15 sondern sollst ihm seinen Lohn des Tages geben, daß die Sonne nicht darüber untergehe (denn er ist dürftig und erhält seine Seele damit), auf daß er nicht wider dich den HERRN anrufe und es dir Sünde sei.
24:15 At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and sets his heart upon it: lest he cry against you unto the LORD, and it be sin unto you.
24:16 Die Väter sollen nicht für die Kinder noch die Kinder für die Väter sterben, sondern ein jeglicher soll für seine Sünde sterben.
24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
24:17 Du sollst das Recht des Fremdlings und des Waisen nicht beugen und sollst der Witwe nicht das Kleid zum Pfand nehmen.
24:17 You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge:
24:18 Denn du sollst gedenken, daß du Knecht in Ägypten gewesen bist und der HERR, dein Gott, dich von dort erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir, daß du solches tust.
24:18 But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you thence: therefore I command you to do this thing.
24:19 Wenn du auf deinem Acker geerntet und eine Garbe vergessen hast auf dem Acker, so sollst du nicht umkehren, dieselbe zu holen, sondern sie soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein, auf daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allen Werken deiner Hände.
24:19 When you cut down yours harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of yours hands.
24:20 Wenn du deine Ölbäume hast geschüttelt, so sollst du nicht nachschütteln; es soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein.
24:20 When you beat yours olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
24:21 Wenn du deinen Weinberg gelesen hast, so sollst du nicht nachlesen; es soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein.
24:21 When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
24:22 Und sollst gedenken, daß du Knecht in Ägyptenland gewesen bist; darum gebiete ich dir, daß du solches tust.
24:22 And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.

25:1 Wenn ein Hader ist zwischen Männern, so soll man sie vor Gericht bringen und sie richten und den Gerechten gerecht sprechen und den Gottlosen verdammen.
25:1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
25:2 Und so der Gottlose Schläge verdient hat, soll ihn doch der Richter heißen niederfallen, und man soll ihm vor dem Richter eine Zahl Schläge geben nach dem Maß seiner Missetat.
25:2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
25:3 Wenn man ihm vierzig Schläge gegeben hat, soll man ihn nicht mehr schlagen, auf daß nicht, so man mehr Schläge gibt, er zuviel geschlagen werde und dein Bruder verächtlich vor deinen Augen sei.
25:3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then your brother should seem vile unto you.
25:4 Du sollst dem Ochsen, der da drischt, nicht das Maul verbinden.
25:4 You shall not suppress the ox when he treads out the corn.
25:5 Wenn Brüder beieinander wohnen und einer stirbt ohne Kinder, so soll des Verstorbenen Weib nicht einen fremden Mann draußen nehmen; sondern ihr Schwager soll sich zu ihr tun und sie zum Weibe nehmen und sie ehelichen.
25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.
25:6 Und den ersten Sohn, den sie gebiert, soll er bestätigen nach dem Namen seines verstorbenen Bruders, daß sein Name nicht vertilgt werde aus Israel.
25:6 And it shall be, that the firstborn which she bears shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.
25:7 Gefällt es aber dem Mann nicht, daß er sein Schwägerin nehme, so soll sie, seine Schwägerin hinaufgehen unter das Tor vor die Ältesten und sagen: Mein Schwager weigert sich, seinem Bruder einen Namen zu erwecken in Israel, und will mich nicht ehelichen.
25:7 And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuses to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother.
25:8 So sollen ihn die Ältesten der Stadt fordern und mit ihm reden. Wenn er dann darauf besteht und spricht: Es gefällt mir nicht, sie zu nehmen,
25:8 Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;
25:9 so soll seine Schwägerin zu ihm treten vor den Ältesten und ihm einen Schuh ausziehen von seinen Füßen und ihn anspeien und soll antworten und sprechen: Also soll man tun einem jeden Mann, der seines Bruders Haus nicht erbauen will!
25:9 Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house.
25:10 Und sein Namen soll in Israel heißen "des Barfüßers Haus".
25:10 And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that has his shoe loosed.
25:11 Wenn zwei Männer miteinander hadern und des einen Weib läuft zu, daß sie ihren Mann errette von der Hand dessen, der ihn schlägt, und streckt ihre Hand aus und ergreift ihn bei seiner Scham,
25:11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draws near in order to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that strikes him, and puts forth her hand, and takes him by the secrets:
25:12 so sollst du ihr die Hand abhauen, und dein Auge soll sie nicht verschonen.
25:12 Then you shall cut off her hand, yours eye shall not pity her.
25:13 Du sollst nicht zweierlei Gewicht in deinem Sack, groß und klein, haben;
25:13 You shall not have in your bag divers weights, a great and a small.
25:14 und in deinem Hause soll nicht zweierlei Scheffel, groß und klein, sein.
25:14 You shall not have in yours house divers measures, a great and a small.
25:15 Du sollst ein völlig und recht Gewicht und einen völligen und rechten Scheffel haben, auf daß dein Leben lange währe in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird.
25:15 But you shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shall you have: that your days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
25:16 Denn wer solches tut, der ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel wie alle, die übel tun.
25:16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD your God.
25:17 Gedenke was dir die Amalekiter taten auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget,
25:17 Remember what Amalek did unto you by the way, when all of you were come forth out of Egypt;
25:18 wie sie dich angriffen auf dem Wege und schlugen die letzten deines Heeres, alle die Schwachen, die dir hinten nachzogen, da du müde und matt warst, und fürchteten Gott nicht.
25:18 How he met you by the way, and stroke the hindmost of you, even all that were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he feared not God.
25:19 Wenn nun der HERR, dein Gott, dich zur Ruhe bringt von allen deinen Feinden umher im Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gibt zum Erbe einzunehmen, so sollst du das Gedächtnis der Amalekiter austilgen unter dem Himmel. Das vergiß nicht!
25:19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from all yours enemies round about, in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget it.

26:1 Wenn du in das Land kommst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe geben wird, und nimmst es ein und wohnst darin,
26:1 And it shall be, when you are come in unto the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell therein;
26:2 so sollst du nehmen allerlei erste Früchte des Landes, die aus der Erde kommen, die der HERR, dein Gott dir gibt, und sollst sie in einen Korb legen und hingehen an den Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne,
26:2 That you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which you shall bring of your land that the LORD your God gives you, and shall put it in a basket, and shall go unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name there.
26:3 und sollst zu dem Priester kommen, der zu der Zeit da ist, und zu ihm sagen: Ich bekenne heute dem HERRN, deinem Gott, daß ich gekommen bin in das Land, das der HERR unsern Vätern geschworen hat uns zu geben.
26:3 And you shall go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD your God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD swore unto our fathers in order to give us.
26:4 Und der Priester soll den Korb nehmen von deiner Hand und vor dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, niedersetzen.
26:4 And the priest shall take the basket out of yours hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.
26:5 Da sollst du antworten und sagen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott: Mein Vater war ein Syrer und nahe dem Umkommen und zog hinab nach Ägypten und war daselbst ein Fremdling mit geringem Volk und ward daselbst ein großes, starkes und zahlreiches Volk.
26:5 And you shall speak and say before the LORD your God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
26:6 Aber die Ägypter behandelten uns übel und zwangen uns und legten einen harten Dienst auf uns.
26:6 And the Egyptians evil pleaded us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
26:7 Da schrieen wir zu dem HERRN, dem Gott unsrer Väter; und der HERR erhörte unser Schreien und sah unser Elend, unsre Angst und Not
26:7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
26:8 und führte uns aus Ägypten mit mächtiger Hand und ausgerecktem Arm und mit großem Schrecken, durch Zeichen und Wunder
26:8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
26:9 und brachte uns an diesen Ort und gab uns dies Land, darin Milch und Honig fließt.
26:9 And he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, even a land that flows with milk and honey.
26:10 Nun bringe ich die ersten Früchte des Landes, die du, HERR, mir gegeben hast. Und sollst sie lassen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und anbeten vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott,
26:10 And now, behold, I have brought the first-fruits of the land, which you, O LORD, have given me. And you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God:
26:11 und fröhlich sein über allem Gut, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat und deinem Hause, du und der Levit und der Fremdling, der bei dir ist.
26:11 And you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given unto you, and unto yours house, you, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.
26:12 Wenn du alle Zehnten deines Einkommens zusammengebracht hast im dritten Jahr, das ist das Zehnten-Jahr, so sollst du dem Leviten, dem Fremdling, dem Waisen und der Witwe geben, daß sie essen in deinem Tor und satt werden.
26:12 When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of yours increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled;
26:13 Und sollst sprechen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott: Ich habe gebracht, was geheiligt ist, aus meinem Hause und habe es gegeben den Leviten, den Fremdlingen, den Waisen und den Witwen nach all deinem Gebot, das du mir geboten hast; ich habe deine Gebote nicht übertreten noch vergessen;
26:13 Then you shall say before the LORD your God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandments which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed your commandments, neither have I forgotten them.
26:14 ich habe nichts davon gegessen in meinem Leide und habe nichts davongetan in Unreinigkeit; ich habe nicht zu den Toten davon gegeben; ich bin der Stimme des HERRN, meines Gottes, gehorsam gewesen und habe getan alles, wie du mir geboten hast.
26:14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that you have commanded me.
26:15 Siehe herab von deiner heiligen Wohnung, vom Himmel, und segne dein Volk Israel und das Land, das du uns gegeben hast, wie du unsern Vätern geschworen hast, ein Land, darin Milch und Honig fließt.
26:15 Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the land which you have given us, as you sware unto our fathers, a land that flows with milk and honey.
26:16 Heutigestages gebietet dir der HERR, dein Gott, daß du tust nach allen diesen Geboten und Rechten, daß du sie hältst und darnach tust von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.
26:16 This day the LORD your God has commanded you to do these statutes and judgments: you shall therefore keep and do them with all yours heart, and with all your soul.
26:17 Dem HERRN hast du heute zugesagt, daß er dein Gott, sei, daß du wollest in allen seinen Wegen wandeln und halten seine Gesetze, Gebote und Rechte und seiner Stimme gehorchen.
26:17 You have stand as a witness to the LORD this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
26:18 Und der HERR hat dir heute zugesagt, daß du sein eigen Volk sein sollst, wie er dir verheißen hat, so du alle seine Gebote hältst
26:18 And the LORD has stand as a witness to you this day to be his exclusive people, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;
26:19 und daß er dich zum höchsten machen werde und du gerühmt, gepriesen und geehrt werdest über alle Völker, die er gemacht hat, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein heiliges Volk seist, wie er geredet hat.
26:19 And to make you high above all nations which he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that you may be an holy people unto the LORD your God, as he has spoken.

27:1 Und Mose gebot samt den Ältesten Israels dem Volk und sprach: Haltet alle Gebote, die ich euch heute gebiete.
27:1 And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
27:2 Und zu der Zeit, wenn ihr über den Jordan geht in das Land, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird, sollst du große Steine aufrichten und sie mit Kalk tünchen
27:2 And it shall be on the day when all of you shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD your God gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and smear them with plaster:
27:3 und darauf schreiben alle Worte dieses Gesetzes, wenn du hinüberkommst, auf daß du kommst in das Land, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird, ein Land darin Milch und Honig fließt, wie der HERR, deiner Väter Gott, dir verheißen hat.
27:3 And you shall write upon them all the words of this law, when you are passed over, that you may go in unto the land which the LORD your God gives you, a land that flows with milk and honey; as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you.
27:4 Wenn ihr nun über den Jordan geht, so sollt ihr solche Steine aufrichten (davon ich euch heute gebiete) auf dem Berge Ebal und mit Kalk tünchen.
27:4 Therefore it shall be when all of you be gone over Jordan, that all of you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and you shall smear them with plaster.
27:5 Und sollst daselbst dem HERRN, deinem Gott, einen steinernen Altar bauen, darüber kein Eisen fährt.
27:5 And there shall you build an altar unto the LORD your God, an altar of stones: you shall not lift up any iron tool upon them.
27:6 Von ganzen Steinen sollst du diesen Altar dem HERRN, deinem Gott, bauen und Brandopfer darauf opfern dem HERRN, deinem Gott.
27:6 You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of whole stones: and you shall offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD your God:
27:7 Und sollst Dankopfer opfern und daselbst essen und fröhlich sein vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott.
27:7 And you shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before the LORD your God.
27:8 Und sollst auf die Steine alle Worte dieses Gesetzes schreiben, klar und deutlich.
27:8 And you shall write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
27:9 Und Mose und die Priester, die Leviten, redeten mit ganz Israel und sprachen: Merke und höre zu, Israel! Heute, dieses Tages, bist du ein Volk des HERRN, deines Gottes, geworden,
27:9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spoke unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day you are become the people of the LORD your God.
27:10 daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorsam seist und tust nach seinen Geboten und Rechten, die ich dir heute gebiete.
27:10 You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.
27:11 Und Mose gebot dem Volk desselben Tages und sprach:
27:11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
27:12 Diese sollen stehen auf dem Berge Garizim, zu segnen das Volk, wenn ihr über den Jordan gegangen seid; Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isaschar, Joseph und Benjamin.
27:12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when all of you are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
27:13 Und diese sollen stehen auf dem Berge Ebal, zu fluchen Ruben, Gad, Asser, Sebulon, Dan und Naphthali.
27:13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
27:14 Und die Leviten sollen anheben und sagen zu jedermann von Israel mit lauter Stimme:
27:14 And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
27:15 Verflucht sei, wer einen Götzen oder ein gegossenes Bild macht, einen Greuel des HERRN, ein Werk von den Händen der Werkmeister, und stellt es verborgen auf! Und alles Volk soll antworten und sagen: Amen.
27:15 Cursed be the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
27:16 Verflucht sei, wer seinen Vater oder seine Mutter unehrt! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:16 Cursed be he that sets light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:17 Verflucht sei wer seines Nächsten Grenze verengert! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:17 Cursed be he that removes his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:18 Verflucht sei, wer einen Blinden irren macht auf dem Wege! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:18 Cursed be he that makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

27:20 Cursed be he that lies with his father's wife; because he uncovers his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:21 Verflucht sei wer irgend bei einem Vieh liegt! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:21 Cursed be he that lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:22 Verflucht sei, wer bei seiner Schwester liegt, die seines Vaters oder seiner Mutter Tochter ist! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:22 Cursed be he that lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:23 Verflucht sei, wer bei seiner Schwiegermutter liegt! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:23 Cursed be he that lies with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:24 Verflucht sei, wer seinen Nächsten heimlich erschlägt! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:24 Cursed be he that strikes his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:25 Verflucht sei, wer Geschenke nimmt, daß er unschuldiges Blut vergießt! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:25 Cursed be he that takes reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
27:26 Verflucht sei, wer nicht alle Worte dieses Gesetzes erfüllt, daß er darnach tue! Und alles Volk soll sagen: Amen.
27:26 Cursed be he that confirms not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

28:1 Und wenn du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorchen wirst, daß du hältst und tust alle seine Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete, so wird dich der HERR, dein Gott, zum höchsten machen über alle Völker auf Erden,
28:1 And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth:
28:2 und werden über dich kommen alle diese Segen und werden dich treffen, darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, bist gehorsam gewesen.
28:2 And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God.
28:3 Gesegnet wirst du sein in der Stadt, gesegnet auf dem Acker.
28:3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.
28:4 Gesegnet wird sein die Frucht deines Leibes, die Frucht deines Landes und die Frucht deines Viehs, die Früchte deiner Rinder und die Früchte deiner Schafe.
28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep.
28:5 Gesegnet wird sein dein Korb und dein Backtrog.
28:5 Blessed shall be your basket and your store.
28:6 Gesegnet wirst du sein, wenn du eingehst, gesegnet, wenn du ausgehst.
28:6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
28:7 Und der HERR wird deine Feinde, die sich wider dich auflehnen, vor dir schlagen; durch einen Weg sollen sie ausziehen wider dich, und durch sieben Wege vor dir fliehen.
28:7 The LORD shall cause yours enemies that rise up against you to be smitten before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.
28:8 Der HERR wird gebieten dem Segen, daß er mit dir sei in deinem Keller und in allem, was du vornimmst, und wird dich segnen in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat.
28:8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set yours hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
28:9 Der HERR wird dich ihm zum heiligen Volk aufrichten, wie er dir geschworen hat, darum daß du die Gebote des HERRN, deines Gottes, hältst und wandelst in seinen Wegen,
28:9 The LORD shall establish you an holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.
28:10 daß alle Völker auf Erden werden sehen, daß du nach dem Namen des HERRN genannt bist, und werden sich vor dir fürchten.
28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you.
28:11 Und der HERR wird machen, daß du Überfluß an Gütern haben wirst, an der Frucht deines Leibes, an der Frucht deines Viehs, an der Frucht deines Ackers, in dem Lande, das der HERR deinen Vätern geschworen hat dir zu geben.
28:11 And the LORD shall make you abundant in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give you.
28:12 Und der HERR wird dir seinen guten Schatz auftun, den Himmel, daß er deinem Land Regen gebe zu seiner Zeit und daß er segne alle Werke deiner Hände. Und du wirst vielen Völkern leihen; du aber wirst von niemand borgen.
28:12 The LORD shall open unto you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto your land in his season, and to bless all the work of yours hand: and you shall lend unto many nations, and you shall not borrow.
28:13 Und der HERR wird dich zum Haupt machen und nicht zum Schwanz, und du wirst oben schweben und nicht unten liegen, darum daß du gehorsam bist den Geboten des HERRN, deines Gottes, die ich dir heute gebiete zu halten und zu tun,
28:13 And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them:
28:14 und nicht weichst von irgend einem Wort, das ich euch heute gebiete, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken, damit du andern Göttern nachwandelst, ihnen zu dienen.
28:14 And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
28:15 Wenn du aber nicht gehorchen wirst der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, daß du hältst und tust alle seine Gebote und Rechte, die ich dir heute gebiete, so werden alle Flüche über dich kommen und dich treffen.
28:15 But it shall come to pass, if you will not hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:
28:16 Verflucht wirst du sein in der Stadt, verflucht auf dem Acker.
28:16 Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.
28:17 Verflucht wird sein dein Korb und dein Backtrog.

28:20 Der HERR wird unter dich senden Unfall, Unruhe und Unglück in allem, was du vor die Hand nimmst, was du tust, bis du vertilgt werdest und bald untergehst um deines bösen Wesens willen, darum daß du mich verlassen hast.
28:20 The LORD shall send upon you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set yours hand unto in order to do, until you be destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, whereby you have forsaken me.
28:21 Der HERR wird dir die Pestilenz anhängen, bis daß er dich vertilge in dem Lande, dahin du kommst, es einzunehmen.
28:21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto you, until he have consumed you from off the land, where you go to possess it.
28:22 Der HERR wird dich schlagen mit Darre, Fieber, Hitze, Brand, Dürre, giftiger Luft und Gelbsucht und wird dich verfolgen, bis er dich umbringe.
28:22 The LORD shall strike you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.
28:23 Dein Himmel, der über deinem Haupt ist, wird ehern sein und die Erde unter dir eisern.
28:23 And your heaven that is over your head shall be brass, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.
28:24 Der HERR wird deinem Lande Staub und Asche für Regen geben vom Himmel auf dich, bis du vertilgt werdest.
28:24 The LORD shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be destroyed.
28:25 Der HERR wird dich vor deinen Feinden schlagen; durch einen Weg wirst du zu ihnen ausziehen, und durch sieben Wege wirst du vor ihnen fliehen und wirst zerstreut werden unter alle Reiche auf Erden.
28:25 The LORD shall cause you to be smitten before yours enemies: you shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
28:26 Dein Leichnam wird eine Speise sein allen Vögeln des Himmels und allen Tieren auf Erden, und niemand wird sein, der sie scheucht.
28:26 And your carcass shall be food unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away.
28:27 Der HERR wird dich schlagen mit Drüsen Ägyptens, mit Feigwarzen, mit Grind und Krätze, daß du nicht kannst heil werden.
28:27 The LORD will strike you with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof you can not be healed.
28:28 Der HERR wird dich schlagen mit Wahnsinn, Blindheit und Rasen des Herzens;
28:28 The LORD shall strike you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
28:29 und wirst tappen am Mittag, wie ein Blinder tappt im Dunkeln; und wirst auf deinem Wege kein Glück haben; und wirst Gewalt und Unrecht leiden müssen dein Leben lang, und niemand wird dir helfen.
28:29 And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you.
28:30 Ein Weib wirst du dir vertrauen lassen; aber ein anderer wird bei ihr schlafen. Ein Haus wirst du bauen; aber du wirst nicht darin wohnen. Einen Weinberg wirst du pflanzen; aber du wirst seine Früchte nicht genießen.
28:30 You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build an house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather the grapes thereof.
28:31 Dein Ochse wird vor deinen Augen geschlachtet werden; aber du wirst nicht davon essen. Dein Esel wird vor deinem Angesicht mit Gewalt genommen und dir nicht wiedergegeben werden. Dein Schaf wird deinen Feinden gegeben werden, und niemand wird dir helfen.
28:31 Yours ox shall be slain before yours eyes, and you shall not eat thereof: yours ass shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given unto yours enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them.
28:32 Deine Söhne und Töchter werden einem andern Volk gegeben werden, daß deine Augen zusehen und verschmachten über ihnen täglich; und wird keine Stärke in deinen Händen sein.
28:32 Your sons and your daughters shall be given unto another people, and yours eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in yours hand.
28:33 Die Früchte deines Landes und alle deine Arbeit wird ein Volk verzehren, das du nicht kennst, und wirst Unrecht leiden und zerstoßen werden dein Leben lang
28:33 The fruit of your land, and all your labours, shall a nation which you know not eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always:
28:34 und wirst unsinnig werden vor dem, das deine Augen sehen müssen.
28:34 So that you shall be mad for the sight of yours eyes which you shall see.
28:35 Der HERR wird dich schlagen mit bösen Drüsen an den Knieen und Waden, daß du nicht kannst geheilt werden, von den Fußsohlen an bis auf den Scheitel.
28:35 The LORD shall strike you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot unto the top of your head.
28:36 Der HERR wird dich und deinen König, den du über dich gesetzt hast, treiben unter ein Volk, das du nicht kennst noch deine Väter; und wirst daselbst dienen andern Göttern: Holz und Steinen.
28:36 The LORD shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, unto a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.
28:37 Und wirst ein Scheusal und ein Sprichwort und Spott sein unter allen Völkern, dahin dich der HERR getrieben hat.
28:37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where the LORD shall lead you.
28:38 Du wirst viel Samen ausführen auf das Feld, und wenig einsammeln; denn die Heuschrecken werden's abfressen.
28:38 You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
28:39 Weinberge wirst du pflanzen und bauen, aber keinen Wein trinken noch lesen; denn die Würmer werden's verzehren.
28:39 You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
28:40 Ölbäume wirst du haben in allen deinen Grenzen; aber du wirst dich nicht salben mit Öl, denn dein Ölbaum wird ausgerissen werden.
28:40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your coasts, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for yours olive shall cast his fruit.
28:41 Söhne und Töchter wirst du zeugen, und doch nicht haben; denn sie werden gefangen weggeführt werden.
28:41 You shall brought forth sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
28:42 Alle deine Bäume und Früchte deines Landes wird das Ungeziefer fressen.
28:42 All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume.
28:43 Der Fremdling, der bei dir ist, wird über dich steigen und immer oben schweben; du aber wirst heruntersteigen und immer unterliegen.
28:43 The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low.
28:44 Er wird dir leihen, du aber wirst ihm nicht leihen; er wird das Haupt sein, und du wirst der Schwanz sein.
28:44 He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
28:45 Und alle diese Flüche werden über dich kommen und dich verfolgen und treffen, bis du vertilgt werdest, darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, nicht gehorcht hast, daß du seine Gebote und Rechte hieltest, die er dir geboten hat.
28:45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:
28:46 Darum werden Zeichen und Wunder an dir sein und an deinem Samen ewiglich,
28:46 And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and upon your seed for ever.
28:47 daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, nicht gedient hast mit Freude und Lust deines Herzens, da du allerlei genug hattest,
28:47 Because you served not the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
28:48 Und du wirst deinem Feinde, den dir der HERR zuschicken wird, dienen in Hunger und Durst, in Blöße und allerlei Mangel; und er wird ein eisernes Joch auf deinen Hals legen, bis daß er dich vertilge.
28:48 Therefore shall you serve yours enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in lack of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he have destroyed you.
28:49 Der HERR wird ein Volk über dich schicken von ferne, von der Welt Ende, wie ein Adler fliegt, des Sprache du nicht verstehst,
28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand;
28:50 ein freches Volk, das nicht ansieht die Person des Alten noch schont der Jünglinge.
28:50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favour to the young:
28:51 Es wird verzehren die Frucht deines Viehs und die Frucht deines Landes, bis du vertilgt werdest; und wird dir nichts übriglassen an Korn, Most, Öl, an Früchten der Rinder und Schafe, bis daß dich's umbringe;
28:51 And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your land, until you be destroyed: which also shall not leave you either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of your cattle, or flocks of your sheep, until he have destroyed you.
28:52 und wird dich ängsten in allen deinen Toren, bis daß es niederwerfe deine hohen und festen Mauern, darauf du dich verläßt, in allem deinem Lande; und wirst geängstet werden in allen deinen Toren, in deinem ganzen Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat.
28:52 And he shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fenced walls come down, wherein you trusted, throughout all your land: and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you.
28:53 Du wirst die Frucht deines Leibes essen, das Fleisch deiner Söhne und Töchter, die dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat, in der Angst und Not, womit dich dein Feind bedrängen wird,
28:53 And you shall eat the fruit of yours own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which the LORD your God has given you, in the siege, and in the strictness, wherewith yours enemies shall distress you:
28:54 daß ein Mann, der zuvor sehr zärtlich und in Üppigkeit gelebt hat unter euch, wird seinem Bruder und dem Weibe in seinen Armen und dem Sohne, der noch übrig ist von seinen Söhnen, nicht gönnen,
28:54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
28:55 zu geben jemand unter ihnen von dem Fleisch seiner Söhne, das er ißt, sintemal ihm nichts übrig ist von allem Gut in der Angst und Not, womit dich dein Feind bedrängen wird in allen deinen Toren.
28:55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he has nothing left him in the siege, and in the strictness, wherewith yours enemies shall distress you in all your gates.
28:56 Ein Weib unter euch, das zuvor zärtlich und in Üppigkeit gelebt hat, daß sie nicht versucht hat, ihre Fußsohle auf die Erde zu setzen, vor Zärtlichkeit und Wohlleben, die wird ihrem Manne in ihren Armen und ihrem Sohne und ihrer Tochter nicht gönnen
28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
28:57 die Nachgeburt, die zwischen ihren eigenen Beinen ist ausgegangen, dazu ihre Söhne, die sie geboren hat; denn sie werden vor Mangel an allem heimlich essen in der Angst und Not, womit dich dein Feind bedrängen wird in deinen Toren.
28:57 And toward her young one that comes out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for lack of all things secretly in the siege and strictness, wherewith yours enemy shall distress you in your gates.
28:58 Wo du nicht wirst halten, daß du tust alle Worte dieses Gesetzes, die in diesem Buch geschrieben sind, daß du fürchtest diesen herrlichen und schrecklichen Namen, den HERRN, deinen Gott,
28:58 If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD Your GOD;
28:59 so wird der HERR erschrecklich mit dir umgehen, mit Plagen auf dich und deinen Samen, mit großen und langwierigen Plagen, mit bösen und langwierigen Krankheiten,
28:59 Then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
28:60 und wird dir zuwenden alle Seuchen Ägyptens, davor du dich fürchtest, und sie werden dir anhangen;
28:60 Moreover he will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave unto you.
28:61 dazu alle Krankheiten und alle Plagen, die nicht geschrieben sind in dem Buch dieses Gesetzes, wird der HERR über dich kommen lassen, bis du vertilgt werdest.
28:61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon you, until you be destroyed.
28:62 Und wird euer ein geringer Haufe übrigbleiben, die ihr zuvor gewesen seid wie Sterne am Himmel nach der Menge, darum daß du nicht gehorcht hast der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes.
28:62 And all of you shall be left few in number, whereas all of you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.
28:63 Und wie sich der HERR über euch zuvor freute, daß er euch Gutes täte und mehrte euch, also wird er sich über euch freuen, daß er euch umbringe und vertilge; und werdet verstört werden von dem Lande, in das du jetzt einziehst, es einzunehmen.
28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and all of you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.
28:64 Denn der HERR wird dich zerstreuen unter alle Völker von einem Ende der Welt bis ans andere; und wirst daselbst andern Göttern dienen, die du nicht kennst noch deine Väter: Holz und Steinen.
28:64 And the LORD shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known, even wood and stone.
28:65 Dazu wirst du unter denselben Völkern kein bleibend Wesen haben, und deine Fußsohlen werden keine Ruhe haben. Denn der HERR wird dir daselbst ein bebendes Herz geben und verschmachtete Augen und eine verdorrte Seele,
28:65 And among these nations shall you find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest: but the LORD shall give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
28:66 daß dein Leben wird vor dir schweben. Nacht und Tag wirst du dich fürchten und deines Lebens nicht sicher sein.
28:66 And your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear day and night, and shall have none assurance of your life:
28:67 Des Morgens wirst du sagen: Ach, daß es Abend wäre! des Abends wirst du sagen: Ach, das es Morgen wäre! vor Furcht deines Herzens, die dich schrecken wird, und vor dem, was du mit deinen Augen sehen wirst.
28:67 In the morning you shall say, Would God it were even! and at even you shall say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of yours heart wherewith you shall fear, and for the sight of yours eyes which you shall see.
28:68 Und der HERR wird dich mit Schiffen wieder nach Ägypten führen, den Weg, davon ich gesagt habe: Du sollst ihn nicht mehr sehen. Und ihr werdet daselbst euren Feinden zu Knechten und Mägden verkauft werden, und wird kein Käufer dasein.
28:68 And the LORD shall bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spoke unto you, You shall see it no more again: and there all of you shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

29:1 Dies sind die Worte des Bundes, den der HERR dem Mose geboten hat zu machen mit den Kindern Israel in der Moabiter Lande, zum andernmal, nachdem er denselben mit ihnen gemacht hatte am Horeb.
29:1 These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
29:2 Und Mose rief das ganze Israel und sprach zu ihnen; Ihr habt gesehen alles, was der HERR getan hat in Ägypten vor euren Augen dem Pharao mit allen seinen Knechten und seinem ganzen Lande,
29:2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, All of you have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
29:3 die großen Versuchungen, die deine Augen gesehen haben, daß es große Zeichen und Wunder waren.
29:3 The great temptations which yours eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
29:4 Und der HERR hat euch bis auf diesen heutigen Tag noch nicht gegeben ein Herz, das verständig wäre, Augen, die da sähen, und Ohren, die da hörten.
29:4 Yet the LORD has not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
29:5 Er hat euch vierzig Jahre in der Wüste lassen wandeln: eure Kleider sind an euch nicht veraltet, und dein Schuh ist nicht veraltet an deinen Füßen;
29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not becoming old upon you, and your shoe is not becoming old upon your foot.
29:6 ihr habt kein Brot gegessen und keinen Wein getrunken noch starkes Getränk, auf daß du wissest, daß ich der HERR, euer Gott, bin.
29:6 All of you have not eaten bread, neither have all of you drunk wine or strong drink: that all of you might know that I am the LORD your God.
29:7 Und da ihr kamt an diesen Ort, zog aus der König Sihon zu Hesbon und der König Og von Basan uns entgegen, mit uns zu streiten; und wir haben sie geschlagen
29:7 And when all of you came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we stroke them:
29:8 und ihr Land eingenommen und zum Erbteil gegeben den Rubenitern und Gaditern und dem halben Stamm der Manassiter.
29:8 And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
29:9 So haltet nun die Worte dieses Bundes und tut darnach, auf daß ihr weise handeln möget in allem eurem Tun.
29:9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that all of you may prosper in all that all of you do.
29:10 Ihr stehet heute alle vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, die Obersten eurer Stämme, eure Ältesten, eure Amtleute, ein jeder Mann in Israel,
29:10 All of you stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
29:11 eure Kinder, eure Weiber, dein Fremdling, der in deinem Lager ist (beide, dein Holzhauer und dein Wasserschöpfer),
29:11 Your little ones, your wives, and your stranger that is in your camp, from the hewer of your wood unto the drawer of your water:
29:12 daß du tretest in den Bund des HERRN, deines Gottes, und in den Eid, den der HERR, dein Gott, heute mit dir macht,
29:12 That you should enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day:
29:13 auf daß er dich heute ihm zum Volk aufrichte und er dein Gott sei, wie er dir verheißen hat und wie er deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat.
29:13 That he may establish you to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto you a God, as he has said unto you, and as he has sworn unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
29:14 denn ich mache diesen Bund und diesen Eid nicht mit euch allein,
29:14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
29:15 sondern sowohl mit euch, die ihr heute hier seid und mit uns stehet vor dem HERRN, unserm Gott, als auch mit denen, die heute nicht mit uns sind.
29:15 But with him that stands here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
29:16 Denn ihr wißt, wie wir in Ägyptenland gewohnt haben und mitten durch die Heiden gezogen sind, durch welche ihr zoget,
29:16 (For all of you know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which all of you passed by;
29:17 und saht ihre Greuel und ihre Götzen, Holz und Stein, Silber und Gold, die bei ihnen waren.
29:17 And all of you have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
29:18 Daß nicht vielleicht ein Mann oder ein Weib oder ein Geschlecht oder ein Stamm unter euch sei, des Herz heute sich von dem HERRN, unserm Gott, gewandt habe, daß er hingehe und diene den Göttern dieser Völker und werde vielleicht eine Wurzel unter euch, die da Galle und Wermut trage,
29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;
29:19 und ob er schon höre die Worte dieses Fluches, dennoch sich segne in seinem Herzen und spreche: Es geht mir wohl, dieweil ich wandle, wie es mein Herz dünkt, auf daß die Trunkenen mit den Durstigen dahinfahren!
29:19 And it come to pass, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
29:20 Da wird der HERR dem nicht gnädig sein; sondern dann wird sein Zorn und Eifer rauchen über solchen Mann und werden sich auf ihn legen alle Flüche, die in diesem Buch geschrieben sind; und der HERR wird seinen Namen austilgen unter dem Himmel
29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
29:21 und wird ihn absondern zum Unglück aus allen Stämmen Israels, laut aller Flüche des Bundes, der in dem Buch dieses Gesetzes geschrieben ist.
29:21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
29:22 So werden dann sagen die Nachkommen eurer Kinder, die nach euch aufkommen werden, und die Fremden, die aus fernen Landen kommen, wenn sie die Plagen dieses Landes sehen und die Krankheiten, womit sie der HERR beladen hat
29:22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD has laid upon it;
29:23 (daß er all ihr Land mit Schwefel und Salz verbrannt hat, daß es nicht besät werden kann noch etwas wächst noch Kraut darin aufgeht, gleich wie Sodom und Gomorra, Adama und Zeboim umgekehrt sind, die der HERR in seinem Zorn und Grimm umgekehrt hat),
29:23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
29:24 so werden alle Völker sagen: Warum hat der HERR diesem Lande also getan? Was ist das für ein so großer und grimmiger Zorn?
29:24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore has the LORD done thus unto this land? what means the heat of this great anger?
29:25 So wird man sagen: Darum daß sie den Bund des HERRN, des Gottes ihrer Väter, verlassen haben, den er mit ihnen machte, da er sie aus Ägyptenland führte,
29:25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
29:26 und sind hingegangen und haben andern Göttern gedient und sie angebetet (solche Götter, die sie nicht kennen und die er ihnen nicht verordnet hat),
29:26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
29:27 darum ist des HERRN Zorn ergrimmt über dies Land, daß er über sie hat kommen lassen alle Flüche, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen;
29:27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
29:28 und der HERR hat sie aus ihrem Lande gestoßen mit großem Zorn, Grimm und Ungnade und hat sie in ein ander Land geworfen, wie es steht heutigestages.
29:28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
29:29 Das Geheimnis ist des HERRN, unsers Gottes; was aber offenbart ist, das ist unser und unserer Kinder ewiglich, daß wir tun sollen alle Worte dieses Gesetzes.
29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

30:1 Wenn nun über dich kommt dies alles, es sei der Segen oder der Fluch, die ich dir vorgelegt habe, und du in dein Herz gehst, wo du unter den Heiden bist, dahin dich der HERR, dein Gott, verstoßen hat,
30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where the LORD your God has driven you,
30:2 und bekehrst dich zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, daß du seiner Stimme gehorchest, du und deine Kinder, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, in allem, was ich dir heute gebiete,
30:2 And shall return unto the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all yours heart, and with all your soul;
30:3 so wird der HERR, dein Gott, dein Gefängnis wenden und sich deiner erbarmen und wird dich wieder versammeln aus allen Völkern, dahin dich der HERR, dein Gott, verstreut hat.
30:3 That then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where the LORD your God has scattered you.
30:4 Wenn du bis an der Himmel Ende verstoßen wärest, so wird dich doch der HERR, dein Gott, von dort sammeln und dich von dort holen
30:4 If any of yours be driven out unto the utmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD your God gather you, and from thence will he fetch you:
30:5 und wird dich in das Land bringen, das deine Väter besessen haben, und wirst es einnehmen, und er wird dir Gutes tun und dich mehren über deine Väter.
30:5 And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
30:6 Und der HERR, dein Gott, wird dein Herz beschneiden und das Herz deiner Nachkommen, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, liebst von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, auf daß du leben mögest.
30:6 And the LORD your God will circumcise yours heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all yours heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
30:7 Aber diese Flüche wird der HERR, dein Gott, alle auf deine Feinde legen und auf die, so dich hassen und verfolgen;
30:7 And the LORD your God will put all these curses upon yours enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you.
30:8 du aber wirst dich bekehren und der Stimme des HERRN gehorchen, daß du tust alle seine Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete.
30:8 And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.
30:9 Und der HERR, dein Gott, wird dir Glück geben in allen Werken deiner Hände, an der Frucht deines Leibes, an der Frucht deines Viehs, an der Frucht deines Landes, daß dir's zugut komme. Denn der HERR wird sich wenden, daß er sich über dich freue, dir zugut, wie er sich über deine Väter gefreut hat,
30:9 And the LORD your God will make you abundant in every work of yours hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers:
30:10 darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorchest, zu halten seine Gebote und Rechte, die geschrieben stehen im Buch dieses Gesetzes, so du dich wirst bekehren zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.
30:10 If you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if you turn unto the LORD your God with all yours heart, and with all your soul.
30:11 Denn das Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, ist dir nicht verborgen noch zu ferne
30:11 For this commandment which I command you this day, it is not hidden from you, neither is it far off.
30:12 noch im Himmel, daß du möchtest sagen: Wer will uns in den Himmel fahren und es uns holen, daß wir's hören und tun?
30:12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
30:13 Es ist auch nicht jenseit des Meers, daß du möchtest sagen: Wer will uns über das Meer fahren und es uns holen, daß wir's hören und tun? {~} {~}
30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
30:14 Denn es ist das Wort gar nahe bei dir, in deinem Munde und in deinem Herzen, daß du es tust.
30:14 But the word is very nigh unto you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.
30:15 Siehe ich habe dir heute vorgelegt das Leben und das Gute, den Tod und das Böse,
30:15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil;
30:16 der ich dir heute gebiete, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, liebst und wandelst in seinen Wegen und seine Gebote, Gesetze und Rechte haltest und leben mögest und gemehrt werdest und dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in dem Lande, in das du einziehst, es einzunehmen.
30:16 In that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that you may live and multiply: and the LORD your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it.
30:17 Wendest du aber dein Herz und gehorchst nicht, sondern läßt dich verführen, daß du andere Götter anbetest und ihnen dienest,
30:17 But if yours heart turn away, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
30:18 so verkündige ich euch heute, daß ihr umkommen und nicht lange in dem Lande bleiben werdet, dahin du einziehst über den Jordan, es einzunehmen.
30:18 I denounce unto you this day, that all of you shall surely perish, and that all of you shall not prolong your days upon the land, where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it.
30:19 Ich nehme Himmel und Erde heute über euch zu Zeugen: ich habe euch Leben und Tod, Segen und Fluch vorgelegt, daß du das Leben erwählest und du und dein Same leben mögt,
30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:
30:20 daß ihr den HERRN, euren Gott, liebet und seiner Stimme gehorchet und ihm anhanget. Denn das ist dein Leben und dein langes Alter, daß du in dem Lande wohnst, das der HERR deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat ihnen zu geben.
30:20 That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

31:1 Und Mose ging hin und redete diese Worte mit dem ganzen Israel
31:1 And Moses went and spoke these words unto all Israel.
31:2 und sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin heute hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt; ich kann nicht mehr aus noch ein gehen; dazu hat der HERR zu mir gesagt: Du sollst nicht über diesen Jordan gehen.
31:2 And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD has said unto me, You shall not go over this Jordan.
31:3 Der HERR, dein Gott, wird selber vor dir her gehen; er wird selber diese Völker vor dir her vertilgen, daß du ihr Land einnehmest. Josua, der soll vor dir hinübergehen, wie der HERR geredet hat.
31:3 The LORD your God, he will go over before you, and he will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before you, as the LORD has said.
31:4 Und der HERR wird ihnen tun, wie er getan hat Sihon und Og, den Königen der Amoriter, und ihrem Lande, welche er vertilgt hat.
31:4 And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
31:5 Wenn sie nun der HERR vor euch dahingeben wird, so sollt ihr ihnen tun nach allem Gebot, das ich euch geboten habe.
31:5 And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that all of you may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
31:6 Seid getrost und unverzagt, fürchtet euch nicht und laßt euch nicht vor ihnen grauen; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird selber mit dir wandeln und wird die Hand nicht abtun noch dich verlassen.
31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, he it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.
31:7 Und Mose rief zu Josua und sprach zu ihm vor den Augen des ganzen Israel: Sei getrost und unverzagt; denn du wirst dies Volk in das Land bringen, das der HERR ihren Vätern geschworen hat ihnen zu geben, und du wirst es unter sie austeilen.
31:7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for you must go with this people unto the land which the LORD has sworn unto their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
31:8 Der HERR aber, der selber vor euch her geht, der wird mit dir sein und wird die Hand nicht abtun noch dich verlassen. Fürchte dich nicht und erschrick nicht.
31:8 And the LORD, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.
31:9 Und Mose schrieb dies Gesetz und gab's den Priestern, den Kindern Levi, die die Lade des Bundes trugen, und allen Ältesten Israels
31:9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.
31:10 und gebot ihnen und sprach: Je nach sieben Jahren, zur Zeit des Erlaßjahrs, am Fest der Laubhütten,
31:10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
31:11 wenn das ganze Israel kommt, zu erscheinen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, an dem Ort, den er erwählen wird, sollst du dieses Gesetz vor dem ganzen Israel ausrufen lassen vor ihren Ohren,
31:11 When all Israel has come to appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
31:12 nämlich vor der Versammlung des Volks (der Männer, Weiber und Kinder und deines Fremdlings, der in deinem Tor ist), auf daß sie es hören und lernen den HERRN, euren Gott, fürchten und es zu halten, daß sie tun alle Worte dieses Gesetzes,
31:12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and your stranger that is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
31:13 und daß ihre Kinder, die es nicht wissen, es auch hören und lernen den HERRN, euren Gott, fürchten alle Tage, die ihr in dem Lande lebt, darein ihr gehet über den Jordan, es einzunehmen.
31:13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as all of you live in the land where all of you go over Jordan to possess it.
31:14 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Siehe, deine Zeit ist herbeigekommen, daß du stirbst. Rufe Josua und tretet in die Hütte des Stifts, daß ich ihm Befehl tue. Mose ging hin mit Josua, und sie traten in die Hütte des Stifts.
31:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, your days approach that you must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
31:15 Der HERR aber erschien in der Hütte in einer Wolkensäule, und die Wolkensäule stand in der Hütte Tür.
31:15 And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
31:16 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Siehe, du wirst schlafen mit deinen Vätern; und dies Volk wird aufkommen und wird abfallen zu fremden Göttern des Landes, darein sie kommen, und wird mich verlassen und den Bund fahren lassen, den ich mit ihm gemacht habe.
31:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
31:17 So wird mein Zorn ergrimmen über sie zur selben Zeit, und ich werde sie verlassen und mein Antlitz vor ihnen verbergen, daß sie verzehrt werden. Und wenn sie dann viel Unglück und Angst treffen wird, werden sie sagen: Hat mich nicht dies Übel alles betreten, weil mein Gott nicht mit mir ist?
31:17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
31:18 Ich aber werde mein Antlitz verbergen zu der Zeit um alles Bösen willen, das sie getan haben, daß sie sich zu andern Göttern gewandt haben.
31:18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
31:19 So schreibt euch nun dies Lied und lehret es die Kinder Israel und legt es in ihren Mund, daß mir das Lied ein Zeuge sei unter den Kindern Israel.
31:19 Now therefore write all of you this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
31:20 Denn ich will sie in das Land bringen, das ich ihren Vätern geschworen habe, darin Milch und Honig fließt. Und wenn sie essen und satt und fett werden, so werden sie sich wenden zu andern Göttern und ihnen dienen und mich lästern und meinen Bund fahren lassen.
31:20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, that flows with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and becoming fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
31:21 Und wenn sie dann viel Unglück und Angst betreten wird, so soll dieses Lied ihnen antworten zum Zeugnis; denn es soll nicht vergessen werden aus dem Mund ihrer Nachkommen. Denn ich weiß ihre Gedanken, mit denen sie schon jetzt umgehen, ehe ich sie in das Land bringe, das ich geschworen habe.
31:21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.
31:22 Also schrieb Mose dieses Lied zur selben Zeit und lehrte es die Kinder Israel.
31:22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
31:23 Und befahl Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und sprach: Sei getrost und unverzagt; denn du sollst die Kinder Israel in das Land führen, das ich ihnen geschworen habe, und ich will mit dir sein.
31:23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore unto them: and I will be with you.
31:24 Da nun Mose die Worte dieses Gesetzes ganz ausgeschrieben hatte in ein Buch,
31:24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
31:25 gebot er den Leviten, die die Lade des Zeugnisses des HERRN trugen, und sprach:
31:25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
31:26 Nehmt das Buch dieses Gesetzes und legt es an die Seite der Lade des Bundes des HERRN, eures Gottes, daß es daselbst ein Zeuge sei wider dich.
31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
31:27 Denn ich kenne deinen Ungehorsam und deine Halsstarrigkeit. Siehe, wo ich noch heute mit euch lebe, seid ihr ungehorsam gewesen wider den HERRN; wie viel mehr nach meinem Tode!
31:27 For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, all of you have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?
31:28 So versammelt nun vor mich alle Ältesten eurer Stämme und eure Amtleute, daß ich diese Worte vor ihren Ohren rede und Himmel und Erde wider sie zu Zeugen nehme.
31:28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
31:29 Denn ich weiß, daß ihr's nach meinem Tode verderben werdet und aus dem Wege treten, den ich euch geboten habe. So wird euch dann Unglück begegnen hernach, darum daß ihr übel getan habt vor den Augen des HERRN, daß ihr ihn erzürntet durch eurer Hände Werk.
31:29 For I know that after my death all of you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because all of you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
31:30 Also redete Mose die Worte dieses Liedes ganz aus vor den Ohren der ganzen Gemeinde Israel:
31:30 And Moses spoke in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.

32:1 Merkt auf, ihr Himmel, ich will reden, und die Erde höre die Rede meines Mundes.
32:1 Give ear, O all of you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
32:2 Meine Lehre triefe wie der Regen, und meine Rede fließe wie Tau, wie der Regen auf das Gras und wie die Tropfen auf das Kraut.
32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
32:3 Denn ich will den Namen des HERRN preisen. Gebt unserm Gott allein die Ehre!
32:3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe all of you greatness unto our God.
32:4 Er ist ein Fels. Seine Werke sind unsträflich; denn alles, was er tut, das ist recht. Treu ist Gott und kein Böses an ihm; gerecht und fromm ist er.
32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
32:5 Die verkehrte und böse Art fällt von ihm ab; sie sind Schandflecken und nicht seine Kinder.
32:5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
32:6 Dankest du also dem HERRN, deinem Gott, du toll und töricht Volk? Ist er nicht dein Vater und dein HERR? Ist's nicht er allein, der dich gemacht und bereitet hat?
32:6 Do all of you thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he your father that has bought you? has he not made you, and established you?
32:7 Gedenke der vorigen Zeit bis daher und betrachte, was er getan hat an den alten Vätern. Frage deinen Vater, der wird dir's verkündigen, deine Ältesten, die werden dir's sagen.
32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.
32:8 Da der Allerhöchste die Völker zerteilte und zerstreute der Menschen Kinder, da setzte er die Grenzen der Völker nach der Zahl der Kinder Israel.
32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
32:9 Denn des HERRN teil ist sein Volk, Jakob ist sein Erbe.
32:9 For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
32:10 Er fand ihn in der Wüste, in der dürren Einöde, da es heult. Er umfing ihn und hatte acht auf ihn; er behütete ihn wie seinen Augapfel.
32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
32:11 Wie ein Adler ausführt seine Jungen und über ihnen schwebt, breitete er seine Fittiche aus und nahm ihn und trug ihn auf seinen Flügeln. {~} {~}
32:11 As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutteres over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings:
32:12 Der HERR allein leitete ihn, und kein fremder Gott war mit ihm.
32:12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
32:13 Er ließ ihn hoch herfahren auf Erden und nährte ihn mit den Früchten des Feldes und ließ ihn Honig saugen aus den Felsen und Öl aus den harten Steinen,
32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
32:14 Butter von den Kühen und Milch von den Schafen samt dem Fetten von den Lämmern und feiste Widder und Böcke mit fetten Nieren und Weizen und tränkte ihn mit gutem Traubenblut. {~} {~}
32:14 Butter of cattle, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape.
32:15 Da aber Jesurun fett ward, ward er übermütig. Er ist fett und dick und stark geworden und hat den Gott fahren lassen, der ihn gemacht hat. Er hat den Fels seines Heils gering geachtet
32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: you are becoming fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
32:16 und hat ihn zum Eifer gereizt durch fremde Götter; durch Greuel hat er ihn erzürnt.
32:16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
32:17 Sie haben den Teufeln geopfert und nicht ihrem Gott, den Göttern, die sie nicht kannten, den neuen, die zuvor nicht gewesen sind, die ihre Väter nicht geehrt haben.
32:17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
32:18 Deinen Fels, der dich gezeugt hat, hast du aus der Acht gelassen und hast vergessen Gottes, der dich gemacht hat.
32:18 Of the Rock that brings forth you you are unmindful, and have forgotten God that formed you.
32:19 Und da es der HERR sah, ward er zornig über seine Söhne und Töchter,
32:19 And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
32:20 und er sprach: Ich will mein Antlitz vor ihnen verbergen, will sehen, was ihnen zuletzt widerfahren wird; denn es ist eine verkehrte Art, es sind untreue Kinder.
32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faith.
32:21 Sie haben mich gereizt an dem, das nicht Gott ist; mit ihrer Abgötterei haben sie mich erzürnt. Und ich will sie wieder reizen an dem, das nicht ein Volk ist; an einem törichten Volk will ich sie erzürnen.
32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
32:22 Denn ein Feuer ist angegangen durch meinen Zorn und wird brennen bis in die unterste Hölle und wird verzehren das Land mit seinem Gewächs und wird anzünden die Grundfesten der Berge.
32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the low hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
32:23 Ich will alles Unglück über sie häufen, ich will meine Pfeile in sie schießen.
32:23 I will heap evil upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
32:24 Vor Hunger sollen sie verschmachten und verzehrt werden vom Fieber und von jähem Tod. Ich will der Tiere Zähne unter sie schicken und der Schlangen Gift. {~}
32:24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
32:25 Auswendig wird sie das Schwert berauben und inwendig der Schrecken, beide, Jünglinge und Jungfrauen, die Säuglinge mit dem grauen Mann.
32:25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the nursing infant also with the man of gray hairs.
32:26 Ich wollte sagen: "Wo sind sie? ich werde ihr Gedächtnis aufheben unter den Menschen",
32:26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
32:27 wenn ich nicht den Zorn der Feinde scheute, daß nicht ihre Feinde stolz würden und möchten sagen: Unsre Macht ist hoch, und der HERR hat nicht solches alles getan.
32:27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD has not done all this.
32:28 Denn es ist ein Volk, darin kein Rat ist, und ist kein Verstand in ihnen.
32:28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
32:29 O, daß sie weise wären und vernähmen solches, daß sie verstünden, was ihnen hernach begegnen wird!
32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
32:30 Wie gehet es zu, daß einer wird ihrer tausend jagen, und zwei werden zehntausend flüchtig machen? Ist es nicht also, daß sie ihr Fels verkauft hat und der HERR sie übergeben hat?
32:30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
32:31 Denn unser Fels ist nicht wie ihr Fels, des sind unsre Feinde selbst Richter.
32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32:32 Denn ihr Weinstock ist vom Weinstock zu Sodom und von dem Acker Gomorras; ihre Trauben sind Galle, sie haben bittere Beeren;
32:32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
32:33 ihr Wein ist Drachengift und wütiger Ottern Galle.
32:33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
32:34 Ist solches nicht bei mir verborgen und versiegelt in meinen Schätzen?
32:34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
32:35 Die Rache ist mein; ich will vergelten. Zu seiner Zeit soll ihr Fuß gleiten; denn die Zeit ihres Unglücks ist nahe, und was über sie kommen soll, eilt herzu.
32:35 To me belongs vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
32:36 Denn der HERR wird sein Volk richten, und über seine Knechte wird er sich erbarmen. Denn er wird ansehen, daß ihre Macht dahin ist und beides, das Verschlossene und Verlassene, weg ist.
32:36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
32:37 Und man wird sagen: Wo sind ihre Götter, ihr Fels, auf den sie trauten?
32:37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
32:38 Welche das Fett ihrer Opfer aßen und tranken den Wein ihrer Trankopfer, laßt sie aufstehen und euch helfen und schützen!
32:38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
32:39 Seht ihr nun, daß ich's allein bin und ist kein Gott neben Mir! Ich kann töten und lebendig machen, ich kann schlagen und heilen, und ist niemand, der aus meiner Hand errette.
32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
32:40 Denn ich will meine Hand in den Himmel heben und will sagen: Ich lebe ewiglich.
32:40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
32:41 Wenn ich den Blitz meines Schwerts wetzen werde und meine Hand zur Strafe greifen wird, so will ich mich wieder rächen an meinen Feinden und denen, die mich hassen, vergelten.
32:41 If I sharpen my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
32:42 Ich will meine Pfeile mit Blut trunken machen, und mein Schwert soll Fleisch fressen, mit dem Blut der Erschlagenen und Gefangenen, von dem entblößten Haupt des Feindes.
32:42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
32:43 Jauchzet alle, die ihr sein Volk seid; denn er wird das Blut seiner Knechte rächen und wird sich an seinen Feinden rächen und gnädig sein dem Lande seines Volkes.
32:43 Rejoice, O all of you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
32:44 Und Mose kam und redete alle Worte dieses Liedes vor den Ohren des Volks, er und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
32:44 And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
32:45 Da nun Mose solches alles ausgeredet hatte zum ganzen Israel,
32:45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
32:46 sprach er zu ihnen: Nehmet zu Herzen alle Worte, die ich euch heute bezeuge, daß ihr euren Kindern befehlt, daß sie halten und tun alle Worte dieses Gesetzes.
32:46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which all of you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
32:47 Denn es ist nicht ein vergebliches Wort an euch, sondern es ist euer Leben; und solches Wort wird euer Leben verlängern in dem Lande, da ihr hin gehet über den Jordan, daß ihr es einnehmet.
32:47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing all of you shall prolong your days in the land, where all of you go over Jordan to possess it.
32:48 Und der HERR redete mit Mose desselben Tages und sprach:
32:48 And the LORD spoke unto Moses that very same day, saying,
32:49 Gehe auf das Gebirge Abarim, auf den Berg Nebo, der da liegt im Moabiterland, gegenüber Jericho, und schaue das Land Kanaan, das ich den Kindern Israel zum Eigentum geben werde,
32:49 Get you up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is opposite to Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
32:50 und stirb auf dem Berge, wenn du hinaufgekommen bist, und versammle dich zu deinem Volk, gleich wie dein Bruder Aaron starb auf dem Berge Hor und sich zu seinem Volk versammelte,
32:50 And die in the mount where you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aaron your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
32:51 darum daß ihr euch an mir versündigt habt unter den Kindern Israel bei dem Haderwasser zu Kades in der Wüste Zin, daß ihr mich nicht heiligtet unter den Kindern Israel;
32:51 Because all of you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because all of you sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
32:52 denn du sollst das Land vor dir sehen, daß ich den Kindern Israel gebe, aber du sollst nicht hineinkommen.
32:52 Yet you shall see the land before you; but you shall not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.

33:1 Dies ist der Segen, damit Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Kinder Israel vor seinem Tode segnete.
33:1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
33:2 Und er sprach: Der Herr ist vom Sinai gekommen und ist ihnen aufgegangen von Seir; er ist hervorgebrochen von dem Berge Pharan und ist gekommen mit viel tausend Heiligen; zu seiner rechten Hand ist ein feuriges Gesetz an sie.
33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
33:3 Wie hat er die Leute so lieb! Alle seine Heiligen sind in deiner Hand; sie werden sich setzen zu deinen Füßen und werden lernen von deinen Worten.
33:3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: and they sat down at your feet; every one shall receive of your words.
33:4 Mose hat uns das Gesetz geboten, das Erbe der Gemeinde Jakobs.
33:4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
33:5 Und Er ward König über Jesurun, als sich versammelten die Häupter des Volks samt den Stämmen Israels.
33:5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
33:6 Ruben lebe, und sterbe nicht, und er sei ein geringer Haufe.
33:6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
33:7 Dies ist der Segen Juda's. Und er sprach: HERR, erhöre die Stimme Juda's und mache ihn zum Regenten in seinem Volk und laß seine Macht groß werden, und ihm müsse wider seine Feinde geholfen werden.
33:7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be you an help to him from his enemies.
33:8 Und zu Levi sprach er: Deine Macht und dein Licht bleibe bei deinem heiligen Mann, den du versucht hast zu Massa, da ihr hadertet am Haderwasser. {~}
33:8 And of Levi he said, Let your Thummim and your Urim be with your holy one, whom you did prove at Massah, and with whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah;
33:9 Wer von seinem Vater und von seiner Mutter spricht: Ich sehe ihn nicht, und von seinem Bruder: Ich kenne ihn nicht, und von seinem Sohn: Ich weiß nicht, die halten deine Rede und bewahren deinen Bund;
33:9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed your word, and kept your covenant.
33:10 die werden Jakob deine Rechte lehren und Israel dein Gesetz; die werden Räuchwerk vor deine Nase legen und ganze Opfer auf deinen Altar.
33:10 They shall teach Jacob your judgments, and Israel your law: they shall put incense before you, and whole burnt sacrifice upon yours altar.
33:11 HERR, segne sein Vermögen und laß dir gefallen die Werke seiner Hände; zerschlage den Rücken derer, die sich wider ihn auflehnen, und derer, die ihn hassen, daß sie nicht aufkommen.
33:11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; strike through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
33:12 Und zu Benjamin sprach er: der Geliebte des HERRN wird sicher wohnen; allezeit wird er über ihm halten und wird zwischen seinen Schultern wohnen.
33:12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
33:13 Und zu Joseph sprach er: Sein Land liegt im Segen des HERRN: da sind edle Früchte vom Himmel, vom Tau und von der Tiefe, die unten liegt;
33:13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that couches beneath,
33:14 da sind edle Früchte von der Sonne, und edle, reife Früchte der Monde,
33:14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
33:15 und von den hohen Bergen von alters her und von den Hügeln für und für
33:15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
33:16 und edle Früchte von der Erde und dem, was darinnen ist. Die Gnade des, der in dem Busch wohnte, komme auf das Haupt Josephs und auf den Scheitel des Geweihten unter seinen Brüdern.
33:16 And for the precious things of the earth and fullness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
33:17 Seine Herrlichkeit ist wie eines erstgeborenen Stieres, und seine Hörner sind wie Einhornshörner; mit denselben wird er die Völker stoßen zuhauf bis an des Landes Enden. Das sind die Zehntausende Ephraims und die Tausende Manasses.
33:17 His glory is like the first born of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
33:18 Und zu Sebulon sprach er: Sebulon freue dich deines Auszugs; aber Isaschar, freue dich deiner Hütten.
33:18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and, Issachar, in your tents.
33:19 Sie werden die Völker auf den Berg rufen und daselbst opfern Opfer der Gerechtigkeit. Denn sie werden die Menge des Meers saugen und die versenkten Schätze im Sande.
33:19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
33:20 Und zu Gad sprach er: Gelobt sei, der Gad Raum macht! Er liegt wie ein Löwe und raubt den Arm und den Scheitel,
33:20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlarges Gad: he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm with the crown of the head.
33:21 und er ersah sich das Erbe, denn daselbst war ihm eines Fürsten Teil aufgehoben, und er kam mit den Obersten des Volks und vollführte die Gerechtigkeit des HERRN und seine Rechte an Israel.
33:21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
33:22 Und zu Dan sprach er: Dan ein junger Löwe, der herausspringt von Basan.
33:22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's offspring: he shall leap from Bashan.
33:23 Und zu Naphthali sprach er: Naphthali wird genug haben, was er begehrt, und wird voll Segens des HERRN sein; gegen Abend und Mittag wird sein Besitz sein.
33:23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess you the west and the south.
33:24 Und zu Asser sprach er: Asser sei gesegnet unter den Söhnen und tauche seinen Fuß in Öl. {~} {~}
33:24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
33:25 Eisen und Erz sei dein Riegel; dein Alter sei wie die Jugend.
33:25 Your shoes shall be iron and brass; and as your days, so shall your strength be.
33:26 Es ist kein Gott wie der Gott Jesuruns. Der im Himmel sitzt, der sei deine Hilfe, und des Herrlichkeit in Wolken ist.
33:26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heaven in your help, and in his excellency on the sky.
33:27 Zuflucht ist bei dem alten Gott und unter den ewigen Armen. Und er wird vor dir her deinen Feind austreiben und sagen: Sei vertilgt!
33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy them.
33:28 Israel wird sicher allein wohnen; der Brunnen Jakobs wird sein in dem Lande, da Korn und Most ist, dazu sein Himmel wird mit Tau triefen.
33:28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
33:29 Wohl dir, Israel! Wer ist dir gleich? O Volk, das du durch den HERRN selig wirst, der deiner Hilfe Schild und das Schwert deines Sieges ist! Deinen Feinden wird's fehlen; aber du wirst auf ihren Höhen einhertreten.
33:29 Happy are you, O Israel: who is like unto you, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your excellency! and yours enemies shall be found liars unto you; and you shall tread upon their high places.

34:1 Und Mose ging von dem Gefilde der Moabiter auf den Berg Nebo, auf die Spitze des Gebirges Pisga, gegenüber Jericho. Und der HERR zeigte ihm das ganze Land Gilead bis gen Dan
34:1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite to Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
34:2 und das ganze Naphthali und das Land Ephraim und Manasse und das ganze Land Juda bis an das Meer gegen Abend
34:2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
34:3 und das Mittagsland und die Gegend der Ebene Jerichos, der Palmenstadt, bis gen Zoar.
34:3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
34:4 Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Dies ist das Land, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen habe und gesagt: Ich will es deinem Samen geben. Du hast es mit deinen Augen gesehen; aber du sollst nicht hinübergehen.
34:4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto your seed: I have caused you to see it with yours eyes, but you shall not go over thither.
34:5 Also starb Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, daselbst im Lande der Moabiter nach dem Wort des HERRN.
34:5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
34:6 Und er begrub ihn im Tal im Lande der Moabiter gegenüber Beth-Peor. Und niemand hat sein Grab erfahren bis auf diesen heutigen Tag.
34:6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite to Bethpeor: but no man knows of his tomb unto this day.
34:7 Und Mose war hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er starb. Seine Augen waren nicht dunkel geworden, und seine Kraft war nicht verfallen.
34:7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force decreased.
34:8 Und die Kinder Israel beweinten Mose im Gefilde der Moabiter dreißig Tage; und es wurden vollendet die Tage des Weinens und Klagens über Mose.
34:8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
34:9 Josua aber, der Sohn Nuns, ward erfüllt mit dem Geist der Weisheit; denn Mose hatte seine Hände auf ihn gelegt. Und die Kinder Israel gehorchten ihm und taten, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
34:10 Und es stand hinfort kein Prophet in Israel auf wie Mose, den der HERR erkannt hätte von Angesicht zu Angesicht,
34:10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
34:11 zu allerlei Zeichen und Wundern, dazu ihn der HERR sandte, daß er sie täte in Ägyptenland an Pharao und an allen seinen Knechten und an allem seinem Lande
34:11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
34:12 und zu aller dieser mächtigen Hand und den schrecklichen Taten, die Mose tat vor den Augen des ganzen Israels.
34:12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel.
