1:1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.
1 Inilah nama para anak Israel yang datang ke Mesir bersama-sama dengan Yakub; mereka datang dengan keluarganya masing-masing:
1:2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
2 Ruben, Simeon, Lewi dan Yehuda;
1:3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
3 Isakhar, Zebulon dan Benyamin;
1:4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
4 Dan serta Naftali, Gad dan Asyer.
1:5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
5 Seluruh keturunan yang diperoleh Yakub berjumlah tujuh puluh jiwa. Tetapi Yusuf telah ada di Mesir.
1:6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
6 Kemudian matilah Yusuf, serta semua saudara-saudaranya dan semua orang yang seangkatan dengan dia.
1:7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
7 Orang-orang Israel beranak cucu dan tak terbilang jumlahnya; mereka bertambah banyak dan dengan dahsyat berlipat ganda, sehingga negeri itu dipenuhi mereka.
1:8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
8 Kemudian bangkitlah seorang raja baru memerintah tanah Mesir, yang tidak mengenal Yusuf.
1:9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
9 Berkatalah raja itu kepada rakyatnya: "Bangsa Israel itu sangat banyak dan lebih besar jumlahnya dari pada kita.
1:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falls out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
10 Marilah kita bertindak dengan bijaksana terhadap mereka, supaya mereka jangan bertambah banyak lagi dan--jika terjadi peperangan--jangan bersekutu nanti dengan musuh kita dan memerangi kita, lalu pergi dari negeri ini."
1:11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
11 Sebab itu pengawas-pengawas rodi ditempatkan atas mereka untuk menindas mereka dengan kerja paksa: mereka harus mendirikan bagi Firaun kota-kota perbekalan, yakni Pitom dan Raamses.
1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

1:13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:
13 Lalu dengan kejam orang Mesir memaksa orang Israel bekerja,
1:14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.
14 dan memahitkan hidup mereka dengan pekerjaan yang berat, yaitu mengerjakan tanah liat dan batu bata, dan berbagai-bagai pekerjaan di padang, ya segala pekerjaan yang dengan kejam dipaksakan orang Mesir kepada mereka itu.
1:15 And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:
15 Raja Mesir juga memerintahkan kepada bidan-bidan yang menolong perempuan Ibrani, seorang bernama Sifra dan yang lain bernama Pua, katanya:
1:16 And he said, When all of you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then all of you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
16 "Apabila kamu menolong perempuan Ibrani pada waktu bersalin, kamu harus memperhatikan waktu anak itu lahir: jika anak laki-laki, kamu harus membunuhnya, tetapi jika anak perempuan, bolehlah ia hidup."
1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
17 Tetapi bidan-bidan itu takut akan Allah dan tidak melakukan seperti yang dikatakan raja Mesir kepada mereka, dan membiarkan bayi-bayi itu hidup.
1:18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have all of you done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
18 Lalu raja Mesir memanggil bidan-bidan itu dan bertanya kepada mereka: "Mengapakah kamu berbuat demikian membiarkan hidup bayi-bayi itu?"
1:19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered before the midwives come in unto them.
19 Jawab bidan-bidan itu kepada Firaun: "Sebab perempuan Ibrani tidak sama dengan perempuan Mesir; melainkan mereka kuat: sebelum bidan datang, mereka telah bersalin."
1:20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
20 Maka Allah berbuat baik kepada bidan-bidan itu; bertambah banyaklah bangsa itu dan sangat berlipat ganda.
1:21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
21 Dan karena bidan-bidan itu takut akan Allah, maka Ia membuat mereka berumah tangga.
1:22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born all of you shall cast into the river, and every daughter all of you shall keep alive.
22 Lalu Firaun memberi perintah kepada seluruh rakyatnya: "Lemparkanlah segala anak laki-laki yang lahir bagi orang Ibrani ke dalam sungai Nil; tetapi segala anak perempuan biarkanlah hidup."
2:1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
1 Seorang laki-laki dari keluarga Lewi kawin dengan seorang perempuan Lewi;
2:2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.
2 lalu mengandunglah ia dan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki. Ketika dilihatnya, bahwa anak itu cantik, disembunyikannya tiga bulan lamanya.
2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with bitumen and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
3 Tetapi ia tidak dapat menyembunyikannya lebih lama lagi, sebab itu diambilnya sebuah peti pandan, dipakalnya dengan gala-gala dan ter, diletakkannya bayi itu di dalamnya dan ditaruhnya peti itu di tengah-tengah teberau di tepi sungai Nil;
2:4 And his sister stood far off, to know what would be done to him.
4 kakaknya perempuan berdiri di tempat yang agak jauh untuk melihat, apakah yang akan terjadi dengan dia.
2:5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
5 Maka datanglah puteri Firaun untuk mandi di sungai Nil, sedang dayang-dayangnya berjalan-jalan di tepi sungai Nil, lalu terlihatlah olehnya peti yang di tengah-tengah teberau itu, maka disuruhnya hambanya perempuan untuk mengambilnya.
2:6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.
6 Ketika dibukanya, dilihatnya bayi itu, dan tampaklah anak itu menangis, sehingga belas kasihanlah ia kepadanya dan berkata: "Tentulah ini bayi orang Ibrani."
2:7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?
7 Lalu bertanyalah kakak anak itu kepada puteri Firaun: "Akan kupanggilkah bagi tuan puteri seorang inang penyusu dari perempuan Ibrani untuk menyusukan bayi itu bagi tuan puteri?"
2:8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.
8 Sahut puteri Firaun kepadanya: "Baiklah." Lalu pergilah gadis itu memanggil ibu bayi itu.
2:9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.
9 Maka berkatalah puteri Firaun kepada ibu itu: "Bawalah bayi ini dan susukanlah dia bagiku, maka aku akan memberi upah kepadamu." Kemudian perempuan itu mengambil bayi itu dan menyusuinya.
2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
10 Ketika anak itu telah besar, dibawanyalah kepada puteri Firaun, yang mengangkatnya menjadi anaknya, dan menamainya Musa, sebab katanya: "Karena aku telah menariknya dari air."
2:11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.
11 Pada waktu itu, ketika Musa telah dewasa, ia keluar mendapatkan saudara-saudaranya untuk melihat kerja paksa mereka; lalu dilihatnyalah seorang Mesir memukul seorang Ibrani, seorang dari saudara-saudaranya itu.
2:12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
12 Ia menoleh ke sana sini dan ketika dilihatnya tidak ada orang, dibunuhnya orang Mesir itu, dan disembunyikannya mayatnya dalam pasir.
2:13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smite you your fellow?
13 Ketika keesokan harinya ia keluar lagi, didapatinya dua orang Ibrani tengah berkelahi. Ia bertanya kepada yang bersalah itu: "Mengapa engkau pukul temanmu?"
2:14 And he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? intend you to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.
14 Tetapi jawabnya: "Siapakah yang mengangkat engkau menjadi pemimpin dan hakim atas kami? Apakah engkau bermaksud membunuh aku, sama seperti engkau telah membunuh orang Mesir itu?" Musa menjadi takut, sebab pikirnya: "Tentulah perkara itu telah ketahuan."
2:15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.
15 Ketika Firaun mendengar tentang perkara itu, dicarinya ikhtiar untuk membunuh Musa. Tetapi Musa melarikan diri dari hadapan Firaun dan tiba di tanah Midian, lalu ia duduk-duduk di tepi sebuah sumur.
2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
16 Adapun imam di Midian itu mempunyai tujuh anak perempuan. Mereka datang menimba air dan mengisi palungan-palungan untuk memberi minum kambing domba ayahnya.
2:17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.
17 Maka datanglah gembala-gembala yang mengusir mereka, lalu Musa bangkit menolong mereka dan memberi minum kambing domba mereka.
2:18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that all of you are come so soon to day?
18 Ketika mereka sampai kepada Rehuel, ayah mereka, berkatalah ia: "Mengapa selekas itu kamu pulang hari ini?"
2:19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.
19 Jawab mereka: "Seorang Mesir menolong kami terhadap gembala-gembala, bahkan ia menimba air banyak-banyak untuk kami dan memberi minum kambing domba."
2:20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that all of you have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.
20 Ia berkata kepada anak-anaknya: "Di manakah ia? Mengapakah kamu tinggalkan orang itu? Panggillah dia makan."
2:21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
21 Musa bersedia tinggal di rumah itu, lalu diberikan Rehuellah Zipora, anaknya, kepada Musa.
2:22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.
22 Perempuan itu melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki, maka Musa menamainya Gersom, sebab katanya: "Aku telah menjadi seorang pendatang di negeri asing."
2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
23 Lama sesudah itu matilah raja Mesir. Tetapi orang Israel masih mengeluh karena perbudakan, dan mereka berseru-seru, sehingga teriak mereka minta tolong karena perbudakan itu sampai kepada Allah.
2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
24 Allah mendengar mereka mengerang, lalu Ia mengingat kepada perjanjian-Nya dengan Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub.
2:25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
25 Maka Allah melihat orang Israel itu, dan Allah memperhatikan mereka.
3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
1 Adapun Musa, ia biasa menggembalakan kambing domba Yitro, mertuanya, imam di Midian. Sekali, ketika ia menggiring kambing domba itu ke seberang padang gurun, sampailah ia ke gunung Allah, yakni gunung Horeb.
3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
2 Lalu Malaikat TUHAN menampakkan diri kepadanya di dalam nyala api yang keluar dari semak duri. Lalu ia melihat, dan tampaklah: semak duri itu menyala, tetapi tidak dimakan api.
3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
3 Musa berkata: "Baiklah aku menyimpang ke sana untuk memeriksa penglihatan yang hebat itu. Mengapakah tidak terbakar semak duri itu?"
3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
4 Ketika dilihat TUHAN, bahwa Musa menyimpang untuk memeriksanya, berserulah Allah dari tengah-tengah semak duri itu kepadanya: "Musa, Musa!" dan ia menjawab: "Ya, Allah."
3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh here: put off your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you stand is holy ground.
5 Lalu Ia berfirman: "Janganlah datang dekat-dekat: tanggalkanlah kasutmu dari kakimu, sebab tempat, di mana engkau berdiri itu, adalah tanah yang kudus."
3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
6 Lagi Ia berfirman: "Akulah Allah ayahmu, Allah Abraham, Allah Ishak dan Allah Yakub." Lalu Musa menutupi mukanya, sebab ia takut memandang Allah.
3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
7 Dan TUHAN berfirman: "Aku telah memperhatikan dengan sungguh kesengsaraan umat-Ku di tanah Mesir, dan Aku telah mendengar seruan mereka yang disebabkan oleh pengerah-pengerah mereka, ya, Aku mengetahui penderitaan mereka.
3:8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
8 Sebab itu Aku telah turun untuk melepaskan mereka dari tangan orang Mesir dan menuntun mereka keluar dari negeri itu ke suatu negeri yang baik dan luas, suatu negeri yang berlimpah-limpah susu dan madunya, ke tempat orang Kanaan, orang Het, orang Amori, orang Feris, orang Hewi dan orang Yebus.
3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
9 Sekarang seruan orang Israel telah sampai kepada-Ku; juga telah Kulihat, betapa kerasnya orang Mesir menindas mereka.
3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send you unto Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
10 Jadi sekarang, pergilah, Aku mengutus engkau kepada Firaun untuk membawa umat-Ku, orang Israel, keluar dari Mesir."
3:11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
11 Tetapi Musa berkata kepada Allah: "Siapakah aku ini, maka aku yang akan menghadap Firaun dan membawa orang Israel keluar dari Mesir?"
3:12 And he said, Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token unto you, that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, all of you shall serve God upon this mountain.
12 Lalu firman-Nya: "Bukankah Aku akan menyertai engkau? Inilah tanda bagimu, bahwa Aku yang mengutus engkau: apabila engkau telah membawa bangsa itu keluar dari Mesir, maka kamu akan beribadah kepada Allah di gunung ini."
3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers has sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
13 Lalu Musa berkata kepada Allah: "Tetapi apabila aku mendapatkan orang Israel dan berkata kepada mereka: Allah nenek moyangmu telah mengutus aku kepadamu, dan mereka bertanya kepadaku: bagaimana tentang nama-Nya? --apakah yang harus kujawab kepada mereka?"
3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.
14 Firman Allah kepada Musa: "AKU ADALAH AKU." Lagi firman-Nya: "Beginilah kaukatakan kepada orang Israel itu: AKULAH AKU telah mengutus aku kepadamu."
3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
15 Selanjutnya berfirmanlah Allah kepada Musa: "Beginilah kaukatakan kepada orang Israel: TUHAN, Allah nenek moyangmu, Allah Abraham, Allah Ishak dan Allah Yakub, telah mengutus aku kepadamu: itulah nama-Ku untuk selama-lamanya dan itulah sebutan-Ku turun-temurun.
3:16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
16 Pergilah, kumpulkanlah para tua-tua Israel dan katakanlah kepada mereka: TUHAN, Allah nenek moyangmu, Allah Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub, telah menampakkan diri kepadaku, serta berfirman: Aku sudah mengindahkan kamu, juga apa yang dilakukan kepadamu di Mesir.
3:17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
17 Jadi Aku telah berfirman: Aku akan menuntun kamu keluar dari kesengsaraan di Mesir menuju ke negeri orang Kanaan, orang Het, orang Amori, orang Feris, orang Hewi dan orang Yebus, ke suatu negeri yang berlimpah-limpah susu dan madunya.
3:18 And they shall hearken to your voice: and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and all of you shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us: and now let us go, we plead to you, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
18 Dan bilamana mereka mendengarkan perkataanmu, maka engkau harus beserta para tua-tua Israel pergi kepada raja Mesir, dan kamu harus berkata kepadanya: TUHAN, Allah orang Ibrani, telah menemui kami; oleh sebab itu, izinkanlah kiranya kami pergi ke padang gurun tiga hari perjalanan jauhnya untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allah kami.
3:19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
19 Tetapi Aku tahu, bahwa raja Mesir tidak akan membiarkan kamu pergi, kecuali dipaksa oleh tangan yang kuat.
3:20 And I will stretch out my hand, and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
20 Tetapi Aku akan mengacungkan tangan-Ku dan memukul Mesir dengan segala perbuatan yang ajaib, yang akan Kulakukan di tengah-tengahnya; sesudah itu ia akan membiarkan kamu pergi.
3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when all of you go, all of you shall not go empty.
21 Dan Aku akan membuat orang Mesir bermurah hati terhadap bangsa ini, sehingga, apabila kamu pergi, kamu tidak pergi dengan tangan hampa,
3:22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and all of you shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and all of you shall spoil the Egyptians.
22 tetapi tiap-tiap perempuan harus meminta dari tetangganya dan dari perempuan yang tinggal di rumahnya, barang-barang perak dan emas dan kain-kain, yang akan kamu kenakan kepada anak-anakmu lelaki dan perempuan; demikianlah kamu akan merampasi orang Mesir itu."
4:1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD has not appeared unto you.
1 Lalu sahut Musa: "Bagaimana jika mereka tidak percaya kepadaku dan tidak mendengarkan perkataanku, melainkan berkata: TUHAN tidak menampakkan diri kepadamu?"
4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in yours hand? And he said, A rod.
2 TUHAN berfirman kepadanya: "Apakah yang di tanganmu itu?" Jawab Musa: "Tongkat."
4:3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
3 Firman TUHAN: "Lemparkanlah itu ke tanah." Dan ketika dilemparkannya ke tanah, maka tongkat itu menjadi ular, sehingga Musa lari meninggalkannya.
4:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth yours hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
4 Tetapi firman TUHAN kepada Musa: "Ulurkanlah tanganmu dan peganglah ekornya" --Musa mengulurkan tangannya, ditangkapnya ular itu, lalu menjadi tongkat di tangannya
4:5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared unto you.
5 --"supaya mereka percaya, bahwa TUHAN, Allah nenek moyang mereka, Allah Abraham, Allah Ishak dan Allah Yakub telah menampakkan diri kepadamu."
4:6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now yours hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
6 Lagi firman TUHAN kepadanya: "Masukkanlah tanganmu ke dalam bajumu." Dimasukkannya tangannya ke dalam bajunya, dan setelah ditariknya ke luar, maka tangannya kena kusta, putih seperti salju.
4:7 And he said, Put yours hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
7 Sesudah itu firman-Nya: "Masukkanlah tanganmu kembali ke dalam bajumu." Musa memasukkan tangannya kembali ke dalam bajunya dan setelah ditariknya ke luar, maka tangan itu pulih kembali seperti seluruh badannya.
4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
8 "Jika mereka tidak percaya kepadamu dan tidak mengindahkan tanda mujizat yang pertama, maka mereka akan percaya kepada tanda mujizat yang kedua.
4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which you take out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
9 Dan jika mereka tidak juga percaya kepada kedua tanda mujizat ini dan tidak mendengarkan perkataanmu, maka engkau harus mengambil air dari sungai Nil dan harus kaucurahkan di tanah yang kering, lalu air yang kauambil itu akan menjadi darah di tanah yang kering itu."
4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither in time past, nor since you have spoken unto your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
10 Lalu kata Musa kepada TUHAN: "Ah, Tuhan, aku ini tidak pandai bicara, dahulupun tidak dan sejak Engkau berfirman kepada hamba-Mupun tidak, sebab aku berat mulut dan berat lidah."
4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who has made man's mouth? or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
11 Tetapi TUHAN berfirman kepadanya: "Siapakah yang membuat lidah manusia, siapakah yang membuat orang bisu atau tuli, membuat orang melihat atau buta; bukankah Aku, yakni TUHAN?
4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.
12 Oleh sebab itu, pergilah, Aku akan menyertai lidahmu dan mengajar engkau, apa yang harus kaukatakan."
4:13 And he said, O my LORD, send, I pray you, by the hand of him whom you will send.
13 Tetapi Musa berkata: "Ah, Tuhan, utuslah kiranya siapa saja yang patut Kauutus."
4:14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
14 Maka bangkitlah murka TUHAN terhadap Musa dan Ia berfirman: "Bukankah di situ Harun, orang Lewi itu, kakakmu? Aku tahu, bahwa ia pandai bicara; lagipula ia telah berangkat menjumpai engkau, dan apabila ia melihat engkau, ia akan bersukacita dalam hatinya.
4:15 And you shall speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what all of you shall do.
15 Maka engkau harus berbicara kepadanya dan menaruh perkataan itu ke dalam mulutnya; Aku akan menyertai lidahmu dan lidahnya dan mengajarkan kepada kamu apa yang harus kamu lakukan.
4:16 And he shall be your spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to you instead of a mouth, and you shall be to him instead of God.
16 Ia harus berbicara bagimu kepada bangsa itu, dengan demikian ia akan menjadi penyambung lidahmu dan engkau akan menjadi seperti Allah baginya.
4:17 And you shall take this rod in yours hand, wherewith you shall do signs.
17 Dan bawalah tongkat ini di tanganmu, yang harus kaupakai untuk membuat tanda-tanda mujizat."
4:18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray you, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.
18 Lalu Musa kembali kepada mertuanya Yitro serta berkata kepadanya: "Izinkanlah kiranya aku kembali kepada saudara-saudaraku, yang ada di Mesir, untuk melihat apakah mereka masih hidup." Yitro berkata kepada Musa: "Pergilah dengan selamat."
4:19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought your life.
19 Adapun TUHAN sudah berfirman kepada Musa di Midian: "Kembalilah ke Mesir, sebab semua orang yang ingin mencabut nyawamu telah mati."
4:20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
20 Kemudian Musa mengajak isteri dan anak-anaknya lelaki, lalu menaikkan mereka ke atas keledai dan ia kembali ke tanah Mesir; dan tongkat Allah itu dipegangnya di tangannya.
4:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in yours hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
21 Firman TUHAN kepada Musa: "Pada waktu engkau hendak kembali ini ke Mesir, ingatlah, supaya segala mujizat yang telah Kuserahkan ke dalam tanganmu, kauperbuat di depan Firaun. Tetapi Aku akan mengeraskan hatinya, sehingga ia tidak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi.
4:22 And you shall say unto Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:
22 Maka engkau harus berkata kepada Firaun: Beginilah firman TUHAN: Israel ialah anak-Ku, anak-Ku yang sulung;
4:23 And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.
23 sebab itu Aku berfirman kepadamu: Biarkanlah anak-Ku itu pergi, supaya ia beribadah kepada-Ku; tetapi jika engkau menolak membiarkannya pergi, maka Aku akan membunuh anakmu, anakmu yang sulung."
4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.
24 Tetapi di tengah jalan, di suatu tempat bermalam, TUHAN bertemu dengan Musa dan berikhtiar untuk membunuhnya.
4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband are you to me.
25 Lalu Zipora mengambil pisau batu, dipotongnya kulit khatan anaknya, kemudian disentuhnya dengan kulit itu kaki Musa sambil berkata: "Sesungguhnya engkau pengantin darah bagiku."
4:26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband you are, because of the circumcision.
26 Lalu TUHAN membiarkan Musa. "Pengantin darah," kata Zipora waktu itu, karena mengingat sunat itu.
4:27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.
27 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Harun: "Pergilah ke padang gurun menjumpai Musa." Ia pergi dan bertemu dengan dia di gunung Allah, lalu menciumnya.
4:28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
28 Kemudian Musa memberitahukan kepada Harun segala firman TUHAN yang disuruhkan-Nya kepadanya untuk disampaikan dan segala tanda mujizat yang diperintahkan-Nya kepadanya untuk dibuat.
4:29 And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:
29 Lalu pergilah Musa beserta Harun dan mereka mengumpulkan semua tua-tua Israel.
4:30 And Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
30 Harun mengucapkan segala firman yang telah diucapkan TUHAN kepada Musa, serta membuat di depan bangsa itu tanda-tanda mujizat itu.
4:31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
31 Lalu percayalah bangsa itu, dan ketika mereka mendengar, bahwa TUHAN telah mengindahkan orang Israel dan telah melihat kesengsaraan mereka, maka berlututlah mereka dan sujud menyembah.
5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
1 Kemudian Musa dan Harun pergi menghadap Firaun, lalu berkata kepadanya: "Beginilah firman TUHAN, Allah Israel: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi untuk mengadakan perayaan bagi-Ku di padang gurun."
5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
2 Tetapi Firaun berkata: "Siapakah TUHAN itu yang harus kudengarkan firman-Nya untuk membiarkan orang Israel pergi? Tidak kenal aku TUHAN itu dan tidak juga aku akan membiarkan orang Israel pergi."
5:3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
3 Lalu kata mereka: "Allah orang Ibrani telah menemui kami; izinkanlah kiranya kami pergi ke padang gurun tiga hari perjalanan jauhnya, untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allah kami, supaya jangan nanti mendatangkan kepada kami penyakit sampar atau pedang."
5:4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do all of you, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
4 Tetapi raja Mesir berkata kepada mereka: "Musa dan Harun, mengapakah kamu bawa-bawa bangsa ini melalaikan pekerjaannya? Pergilah melakukan pekerjaanmu!"
5:5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and all of you make them rest from their burdens.
5 Lagi kata Firaun: "Lihat, sekarang telah terlalu banyak bangsamu di negeri ini, masakan kamu hendak menghentikan mereka dari kerja paksanya!"
5:6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
6 Pada hari itu juga Firaun memerintahkan kepada pengerah-pengerah bangsa itu dan kepada mandur-mandur mereka sendiri:
5:7 All of you shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as in time past: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
7 "Tidak boleh lagi kamu memberikan jerami kepada bangsa itu untuk membuat batu bata, seperti sampai sekarang; biarlah mereka sendiri yang pergi mengumpulkan jerami,
5:8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make in time past, all of you shall lay upon them; all of you shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
8 tetapi jumlah batu bata, yang harus dibuat mereka sampai sekarang, bebankanlah itu juga kepada mereka dan jangan menguranginya, karena mereka pemalas. Itulah sebabnya mereka berteriak-teriak: Izinkanlah kami pergi mempersembahkan korban kepada Allah kami.
5:9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
9 Pekerjaan orang-orang ini harus diperberat, sehingga mereka terikat kepada pekerjaannya dan jangan mempedulikan perkataan dusta."
5:10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus says Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
10 Maka para pengerah bangsa itu dan para mandurnya pergi dan berkata kepada mereka: "Beginilah kata Firaun: Aku tidak memberi jerami lagi kepadamu.
5:11 Go all of you, get you straw where all of you can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
11 Pergilah kamu sendiri mengambil jerami, di mana saja kamu mendapatnya, tetapi pekerjaanmu sedikitpun tidak boleh kurang."
5:12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
12 Lalu berseraklah bangsa itu ke seluruh tanah Mesir untuk mengumpulkan tunggul gandum sebagai pengganti jerami.
5:13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfill your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
13 Dan pengerah-pengerah itu mendesak mereka dengan berkata: "Selesaikan pekerjaanmu, yaitu tugas sehari, seperti pada waktu ada jerami."
5:14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have all of you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as in time past?
14 Lalu pengerah-pengerah Firaun memukul mandur-mandur Israel, yang mereka angkat, sambil bertanya: "Mengapakah kamu pada hari ini tidak menyelesaikan jumlah batu bata yang harus kamu buat seperti kemarin?"
5:15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore deal you thus with your servants?
15 Sesudah itu pergilah para mandur Israel kepada Firaun dan mengadukan halnya kepadanya: "Mengapakah tuanku berlaku seperti itu terhadap hamba-hambamu ini?
5:16 There is no straw given unto your servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in yours own people.
16 Jerami tidak diberikan lagi kepada hamba-hambamu ini tetapi walaupun begitu, kami diperintahkan: Buatlah batu bata. Dan dalam pada itu hamba-hambamu ini dipukuli, padahal rakyat tuankulah yang bersalah."
5:17 But he said, All of you are idle, all of you are idle: therefore all of you say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.
17 Tetapi ia berkata: "Pemalas kamu, pemalas! Itulah sebabnya kamu berkata: Izinkanlah kami pergi mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN!
5:18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall all of you deliver the tale of bricks.
18 Jadi sekarang, pergilah, bekerja! Jerami tidak akan diberikan lagi kepadamu, tetapi jumlah batu bata yang sama harus kamu serahkan."
5:19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, All of you shall not diminish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
19 Maka mengertilah para mandur Israel, bahwa mereka ada dalam keadaan susah, karena dikatakan kepada mereka: "Kamu tidak boleh mengurangi jumlah batu bata pada tiap-tiap hari."
5:20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
20 Waktu mereka meninggalkan Firaun berjumpalah mereka dengan Musa dan Harun, yang sedang menantikan mereka,
5:21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because all of you have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
21 lalu mereka berkata kepada keduanya: "Kiranya TUHAN memperhatikan perbuatanmu dan menghukumkan kamu, karena kamu telah membusukkan nama kami kepada Firaun dan hamba-hambanya dan dengan demikian kamu telah memberikan pisau kepada mereka untuk membunuh kami."
5:22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, LORD, wherefore have you so evil pleaded this people? why is it that you have sent me?
22 Lalu Musa kembali menghadap TUHAN, katanya: "Tuhan, mengapakah Kauperlakukan umat ini begitu bengis? Mengapa pula aku yang Kauutus?
5:23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have you delivered your people at all.
23 Sebab sejak aku pergi menghadap Firaun untuk berbicara atas nama-Mu, dengan jahat diperlakukannya umat ini, dan Engkau tidak melepaskan umat-Mu sama sekali."
6:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
1 (5-24) Tetapi TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: "Sekarang engkau akan melihat, apa yang akan Kulakukan kepada Firaun; sebab dipaksa oleh tangan yang kuat ia akan membiarkan mereka pergi, ya dipaksa oleh tangan yang kuat ia akan mengusir mereka dari negerinya."
6:2 And God spoke unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
2 (6-1) Selanjutnya berfirmanlah Allah kepada Musa: "Akulah TUHAN.
6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
3 (6-2) Aku telah menampakkan diri kepada Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub sebagai Allah Yang Mahakuasa, tetapi dengan nama-Ku TUHAN Aku belum menyatakan diri.
6:4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
4 (6-3) Bukan saja Aku telah mengadakan perjanjian-Ku dengan mereka untuk memberikan kepada mereka tanah Kanaan, tempat mereka tinggal sebagai orang asing,
6:5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
5 (6-4) tetapi Aku sudah mendengar juga erang orang Israel yang telah diperbudak oleh orang Mesir, dan Aku ingat kepada perjanjian-Ku.
6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
6 (6-5) Sebab itu katakanlah kepada orang Israel: Akulah TUHAN, Aku akan membebaskan kamu dari kerja paksa orang Mesir, melepaskan kamu dari perbudakan mereka dan menebus kamu dengan tangan yang teracung dan dengan hukuman-hukuman yang berat.
6:7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD your God, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
7 (6-6) Aku akan mengangkat kamu menjadi umat-Ku dan Aku akan menjadi Allahmu, supaya kamu mengetahui, bahwa Akulah, TUHAN, Allahmu, yang membebaskan kamu dari kerja paksa orang Mesir.
6:8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
8 (6-7) Dan Aku akan membawa kamu ke negeri yang dengan sumpah telah Kujanjikan memberikannya kepada Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub, dan Aku akan memberikannya kepadamu untuk menjadi milikmu; Akulah TUHAN."
6:9 And Moses spoke so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
9 (6-8) Lalu Musa mengatakan demikian kepada orang Israel, tetapi mereka tidak mendengarkan Musa karena mereka putus asa dan karena perbudakan yang berat itu.
6:10 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
10 (6-9) Kemudian TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:
6:11 Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
11 (6-10) "Pergilah menghadap, katakanlah kepada Firaun, raja Mesir, bahwa ia harus membiarkan orang Israel pergi dari negerinya."
6:12 And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?
12 (6-11) Tetapi Musa berkata di hadapan TUHAN: "Orang Israel sendiri tidak mendengarkan aku, bagaimanakah mungkin Firaun akan mendengarkan aku, aku seorang yang tidak petah lidahnya!"
6:13 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
13 (6-12) Demikianlah TUHAN telah berfirman kepada Musa dan Harun, serta mengutus mereka kepada orang Israel dan kepada Firaun, raja Mesir, dengan membawa perintah supaya orang Israel dibawa keluar dari Mesir.
6:14 These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.
14 (6-13) Inilah para kepala kaum keluarga mereka: Anak-anak Ruben anak sulung Israel: Henokh, Palu, Hezron dan Karmi; itulah kaum-kaum Ruben.
6:15 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
15 (6-14) Anak-anak Simeon: Yemuel, Yamin, Ohad, Yakhin, Zohar, dan Saul, anak seorang perempuan Kanaan; itulah kaum-kaum Simeon.
6:16 And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.
16 (6-15) Inilah nama anak-anak Lewi menurut urutan kelahirannya: Gerson, Kehat dan Merari. Umur Lewi seratus tiga puluh tujuh tahun.
6:17 The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
17 (6-16) Anak-anak Gerson: Libni dan Simei, menurut kaum mereka.
6:18 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.
18 (6-17) Anak-anak Kehat: Amram, Yizhar, Hebron dan Uziel. Umur Kehat seratus tiga puluh tiga tahun.
6:19 And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.
19 (6-18) Anak-anak Merari: Mahli dan Musi. Itulah kaum-kaum Lewi menurut urutannya.
6:20 And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.
20 (6-19) Dan Amram mengambil Yokhebed, saudara ayahnya, menjadi isterinya, dan perempuan ini melahirkan Harun dan Musa baginya. Umur Amram seratus tiga puluh tujuh tahun.
6:21 And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
21 (6-20) Anak-anak Yizhar: Korah, Nefeg dan Zikhri.
6:22 And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.
22 (6-21) Anak-anak Uziel: Misael, Elsafan dan Sitri.
6:23 And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
23 (6-22) Dan Harun mengambil Eliseba, anak perempuan Aminadab, saudara perempuan Nahason, menjadi isterinya, dan perempuan ini melahirkan baginya Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar dan Itamar.
6:24 And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.
24 (6-23) Anak-anak Korah: Asir, Elkana dan Abiasaf; itulah kaum-kaum orang Korah.
6:25 And Eleazar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.
25 (6-24) Eleazar, anak Harun, mengambil salah seorang anak perempuan Putiel menjadi isterinya dan perempuan ini melahirkan Pinehas baginya. Itulah para kepala kaum keluarga orang Lewi menurut kaum mereka.
6:26 These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
26 (6-25) Itulah Harun dan Musa, yang diperintahkan TUHAN: "Bawalah orang Israel keluar dari tanah Mesir menurut pasukan mereka."
6:27 These are they which spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.
27 (6-26) Merekalah yang berbicara kepada Firaun, raja Mesir, supaya mereka membawa orang Israel keluar dari Mesir. Itulah Musa dan Harun.
6:28 And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spoke unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
28 (6-27) Pada waktu TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa di tanah Mesir,
6:29 That the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak you unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto you.
29 (6-28) TUHAN berfirman kepadanya: "Akulah TUHAN; katakanlah kepada Firaun, raja Mesir, segala yang Kufirmankan kepadamu."
6:30 And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?
30 (6-29) Tetapi Musa berkata di hadapan TUHAN: "Bukankah aku ini seorang yang tidak petah lidahnya, bagaimanakah mungkin Firaun akan mendengarkan aku?"
7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Lihat, Aku mengangkat engkau sebagai Allah bagi Firaun, dan Harun, abangmu, akan menjadi nabimu.
7:2 You shall speak all that I command you: and Aaron your brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
2 Engkau harus mengatakan segala yang Kuperintahkan kepadamu, dan Harun, abangmu, harus berbicara kepada Firaun, supaya dibiarkannya orang Israel itu pergi dari negerinya.
7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
3 Tetapi Aku akan mengeraskan hati Firaun, dan Aku akan memperbanyak tanda-tanda dan mujizat-mujizat yang Kubuat di tanah Mesir.
7:4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
4 Bilamana Firaun tidak mendengarkan kamu, maka Aku akan mendatangkan tangan-Ku kepada Mesir dan mengeluarkan pasukan-Ku, umat-Ku, orang Israel, dari tanah Mesir dengan hukuman-hukuman yang berat.
7:5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
5 Dan orang Mesir itu akan mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN, apabila Aku mengacungkan tangan-Ku terhadap Mesir dan membawa orang Israel keluar dari tengah-tengah mereka."
7:6 And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
6 Demikianlah diperbuat Musa dan Harun; seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada mereka, demikianlah diperbuat mereka.
7:7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.
7 Adapun Musa delapan puluh tahun umurnya dan Harun delapan puluh tiga tahun, ketika mereka berbicara kepada Firaun.
7:8 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
8 Dan TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa dan Harun:
7:9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Show a miracle for you: then you shall say unto Aaron, Take your rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
9 "Apabila Firaun berkata kepada kamu: Tunjukkanlah suatu mujizat, maka haruslah kaukatakan kepada Harun: Ambillah tongkatmu dan lemparkanlah itu di depan Firaun. Maka tongkat itu akan menjadi ular."
7:10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
10 Musa dan Harun pergi menghadap Firaun, lalu mereka berbuat seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN; Harun melemparkan tongkatnya di depan Firaun dan para pegawainya, maka tongkat itu menjadi ular.
7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
11 Kemudian Firaunpun memanggil orang-orang berilmu dan ahli-ahli sihir; dan merekapun, ahli-ahli Mesir itu, membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu mantera mereka.
7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
12 Masing-masing mereka melemparkan tongkatnya, dan tongkat-tongkat itu menjadi ular; tetapi tongkat Harun menelan tongkat-tongkat mereka.
7:13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
13 Tetapi hati Firaun berkeras, sehingga tidak mau mendengarkan mereka keduanya--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.
7:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.
14 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Firaun berkeras hati, ia menolak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi.
7:15 Get you unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goes out unto the water; and you shall stand by the river's brink meeting him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in yours hand.
15 Pergilah kepada Firaun pada waktu pagi, pada waktu biasanya ia keluar ke sungai; nantikanlah dia di tepi sungai Nil dengan memegang di tanganmu tongkat yang tadinya berubah menjadi ular.
7:16 And you shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has sent me unto you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, until now you would not hear.
16 Dan katakanlah kepadanya: TUHAN, Allah orang Ibrani, telah mengutus aku kepadamu untuk mengatakan: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku di padang gurun; meskipun begitu sampai sekarang engkau tidak mau mendengarkan.
7:17 Thus says the LORD, In this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
17 Sebab itu beginilah firman TUHAN: Dari hal yang berikut akan kauketahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN. Lihat, dengan tongkat yang di tanganku ini akan kupukul air yang di sungai Nil dan air itu akan berubah menjadi darah,
7:18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink of the water of the river.
18 dan ikan yang dalam sungai Nil akan mati, sehingga sungai Nil akan berbau busuk; maka orang Mesir akan segan meminum air dari sungai Nil ini."
7:19 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out yours hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
19 TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: "Katakanlah kepada Harun: Ambillah tongkatmu, ulurkanlah tanganmu ke atas segala air orang Mesir, ke atas sungai, selokan, kolam dan ke atas segala kumpulan air yang ada pada mereka, supaya semuanya menjadi darah, dan akan ada darah di seluruh tanah Mesir, bahkan dalam wadah kayu dan wadah batu."
7:20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and stroke the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
20 Demikianlah Musa dan Harun berbuat seperti yang difirmankan TUHAN; diangkatnya tongkat itu dan dipukulkannya kepada air yang di sungai Nil, di depan mata Firaun dan pegawai-pegawainya, maka seluruh air yang di sungai Nil berubah menjadi darah;
7:21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
21 matilah ikan di sungai Nil, sehingga sungai Nil itu berbau busuk dan orang Mesir tidak dapat meminum air dari sungai Nil; dan di seluruh tanah Mesir ada darah.
7:22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
22 Tetapi para ahli Mesir membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu-ilmu mantera mereka, sehingga hati Firaun berkeras dan ia tidak mau mendengarkan mereka keduanya seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.
7:23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
23 Firaun berpaling, lalu masuk ke istananya dan tidak mau memperhatikan hal itu juga.
7:24 And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
24 Tetapi semua orang Mesir menggali-gali di sekitar sungai Nil mencari air untuk diminum, sebab mereka tidak dapat meminum air sungai Nil.
7:25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.
25 Demikianlah genap tujuh hari berlalu setelah TUHAN menulahi sungai Nil.
8:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Pergilah menghadap Firaun dan katakan kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku;
8:2 And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will strike all your borders with frogs:
2 jika engkau menolak membiarkannya pergi, maka Aku akan menulahi seluruh daerahmu dengan katak.
8:3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into yours house, and into your bedchamber, and upon your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into yours ovens, and into your kneading troughs:
3 Katak-katak akan mengeriap dalam sungai Nil, lalu naik dan masuk ke dalam istanamu dan kamar tidurmu, ya sampai ke dalam tempat tidurmu, ke dalam rumah pegawai-pegawaimu, dan rakyatmu, bahkan ke dalam pembakaran rotimu serta ke dalam tempat adonanmu.
8:4 And the frogs shall come up both on you, and upon your people, and upon all your servants.
4 Katak-katak itu akan naik memanjati engkau, memanjati rakyatmu dan segala pegawaimu."
8:5 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth yours hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
5 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Katakanlah kepada Harun: Ulurkanlah tanganmu dengan tongkatmu ke atas sungai, ke atas selokan dan ke atas kolam, dan buatlah katak-katak bermunculan meliputi tanah Mesir."
8:6 And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
6 Lalu Harun mengulurkan tangannya ke atas segala air di Mesir, maka bermunculanlah katak-katak, lalu menutupi tanah Mesir.
8:7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
7 Tetapi para ahli itupun membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu-ilmu mantera mereka, sehingga mereka membuat katak-katak bermunculan meliputi tanah Mesir.
8:8 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Implore the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.
8 Kemudian Firaun memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata: "Berdoalah kepada TUHAN, supaya dijauhkan-Nya katak-katak itu dari padaku dan dari pada rakyatku; maka aku akan membiarkan bangsa itu pergi, supaya mereka mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN."
8:9 And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I implore for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only?
9 Kata Musa kepada Firaun: "Silakanlah tuanku katakan kepadaku, bila aku akan berdoa untukmu, untuk pegawaimu dan rakyatmu, supaya katak-katak itu dilenyapkan dari padamu dan dari rumah-rumahmu, dan hanya tinggal di sungai Nil saja."
8:10 And he said, Tomorrow. And he said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.
10 Katanya: "Besok." Lalu kata Musa: "Jadilah seperti katamu itu, supaya tuanku mengetahui, bahwa tidak ada yang seperti TUHAN, Allah kami.
8:11 And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.
11 Maka katak-katak itu akan dijauhkan dari padamu, dari rumah-rumahmu, dari pegawai-pegawaimu dan dari rakyatmu; dan hanya akan tinggal di sungai Nil saja."
8:12 And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
12 Lalu Musa dan Harun keluar meninggalkan Firaun, dan Musa berseru kepada TUHAN karena katak-katak, yang didatangkan-Nya kepada Firaun.
8:13 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
13 Dan TUHAN melakukan seperti yang dikatakan Musa, sehingga katak-katak itu mati lenyap dari rumah, dari halaman dan dari ladang.
8:14 And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
14 Dikumpulkan oranglah bangkai-bangkainya bertumpuk-tumpuk, sehingga tanah itu berbau busuk.
8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
15 Tetapi ketika Firaun melihat, bahwa telah terasa kelegaan, ia tetap berkeras hati, dan tidak mau mendengarkan mereka keduanya--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.
8:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
16 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Katakanlah kepada Harun: Ulurkanlah tongkatmu dan pukulkanlah itu ke debu tanah, maka debu itu akan menjadi nyamuk di seluruh tanah Mesir."
8:17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and stroke the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
17 Lalu mereka berbuat demikian; Harun mengulurkan tangannya dengan tongkatnya dan memukulkannya ke debu tanah, maka nyamuk-nyamuk itu hinggap pada manusia dan pada binatang. Segala debu tanah menjadi nyamuk di seluruh tanah Mesir.
8:18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
18 Para ahli itupun membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu-ilmu manteranya untuk mengadakan nyamuk-nyamuk, tetapi mereka tidak dapat. Demikianlah nyamuk-nyamuk itu hinggap pada manusia dan pada binatang.
8:19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
19 Lalu berkatalah para ahli itu kepada Firaun: "Inilah tangan Allah." Tetapi hati Firaun berkeras, dan ia tidak mau mendengarkan mereka--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.
8:20 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he comes forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
20 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Bangunlah pagi-pagi dan berdirilah menantikan Firaun, pada waktu biasanya ia keluar ke sungai, dan katakanlah kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku;
8:21 Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
21 sebab jika engkau tidak membiarkan umat-Ku itu pergi, maka Aku akan melepaskan pikat terhadap engkau, terhadap pegawai-pegawaimu, rakyatmu dan rumah-rumahmu, sehingga rumah-rumah orang Mesir, bahkan tanah, di mana mereka berdiri akan penuh dengan pikat.
8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
22 Tetapi pada hari itu Aku akan mengecualikan tanah Gosyen, di mana umat-Ku tinggal, sehingga di sana tidak ada terdapat pikat, supaya engkau mengetahui, bahwa Aku, TUHAN, ada di negeri ini.
8:23 And I will put a division between my people and your people: tomorrow shall this sign be.
23 Sebab Aku akan mengadakan perbedaan antara umat-Ku dan bangsamu. Besok tanda mujizat ini akan terjadi."
8:24 And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
24 TUHAN berbuat demikian; maka datanglah banyak-banyak pikat ke dalam istana Firaun dan ke dalam rumah pegawai-pegawainya dan ke seluruh tanah Mesir; negeri itu menderita karena pikat itu.
8:25 And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go all of you, sacrifice to your God in the land.
25 Lalu Firaun memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata: "Pergilah, persembahkanlah korban kepada Allahmu di negeri ini."
8:26 And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
26 Tetapi Musa berkata: "Tidak mungkin kami berbuat demikian, sebab korban yang akan kami persembahkan kepada TUHAN, Allah kami, adalah kekejian bagi orang Mesir. Apabila kami mempersembahkan korban yang menjadi kekejian bagi orang Mesir itu, di depan mata mereka, tidakkah mereka akan melempari kami dengan batu?
8:27 We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shall command us.
27 Kami harus pergi ke padang gurun tiga hari perjalanan jauhnya untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allah kami, seperti yang difirmankan-Nya kepada kami."
8:28 And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that all of you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only all of you shall not go very far away: implore for me.
28 Lalu kata Firaun: "Baik, aku akan membiarkan kamu pergi untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allahmu, di padang gurun; hanya janganlah kamu pergi terlalu jauh. Berdoalah untuk aku."
8:29 And Moses said, Behold, I go out from you, and I will implore the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.
29 Lalu kata Musa: "Sekarang aku keluar meninggalkan tuanku dan akan berdoa kepada TUHAN, maka pikat itu akan dijauhkan besok dari Firaun, dari pegawai-pegawainya dan rakyatnya; hanya janganlah Firaun berlaku curang lagi dengan tidak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN."
8:30 And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and implored the LORD.
30 Sesudah itu keluarlah Musa meninggalkan Firaun, lalu berdoa kepada TUHAN.
8:31 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
31 Dan TUHAN membuat seperti yang dikatakan Musa: pikat itu dijauhkan-Nya dari Firaun, dari pegawai-pegawainya dan rakyatnya; seekorpun tidak ada yang tinggal.
8:32 And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
32 Tetapi sekali inipun Firaun tetap berkeras hati; ia tidak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi.
9:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Pergilah menghadap Firaun dan berbicaralah kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN, Allah orang Ibrani: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku.
9:2 For if you refuse to let them go, and will hold them still,
2 Sebab jika engkau menolak membiarkan mereka pergi dan masih menahan mereka,
9:3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon your cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
3 maka ternakmu, yang ada di padang, kuda, keledai, unta, lembu sapi dan kambing domba, akan kena tulah TUHAN, yakni kena penyakit sampar yang dahsyat.
9:4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
4 Dan TUHAN akan membuat perbedaan antara ternak orang Israel dan ternak orang Mesir, sehingga tidak ada yang akan mati seekorpun dari segala ternak orang Israel."
9:5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
5 Selanjutnya TUHAN menentukan waktunya, firman-Nya: "Besoklah TUHAN akan melakukan hal itu di negeri ini."
9:6 And the LORD did that thing on the next day, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
6 Dan TUHAN melakukan hal itu keesokan harinya; segala ternak orang Mesir itu mati, tetapi dari ternak orang Israel tidak ada seekorpun yang mati.
9:7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
7 Lalu Firaun menyuruh orang ke sana dan sesungguhnyalah dari ternak orang Israel tidak ada seekorpun yang mati. Tetapi Firaun tetap berkeras hati dan tidak mau membiarkan bangsa itu pergi.
9:8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
8 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa dan Harun: "Ambillah jelaga dari dapur peleburan serangkup penuh, dan Musa harus menghamburkannya ke udara di depan mata Firaun.
9:9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Maka jelaga itu akan menjadi debu meliputi seluruh tanah Mesir, dan akan menjadikan barah yang memecah sebagai gelembung, pada manusia dan binatang di seluruh tanah Mesir."
9:10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
10 Lalu mereka mengambil jelaga dari dapur peleburan, dan berdiri di depan Firaun, kemudian Musa menghamburkannya ke udara, maka terjadilah barah, yang memecah sebagai gelembung pada manusia dan binatang,
9:11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
11 sehingga ahli-ahli itu tidak dapat tetap berdiri di depan Musa, karena barah-barah itu; sebab ahli-ahli itupun juga kena barah sama seperti semua orang Mesir.
9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
12 Tetapi TUHAN mengeraskan hati Firaun, sehingga ia tidak mendengarkan mereka--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN kepada Musa.
9:13 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
13 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Bangunlah pagi-pagi dan berdirilah menantikan Firaun dan katakan kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN, Allah orang Ibrani: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku.
9:14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon yours heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
14 Sebab sekali ini Aku akan melepaskan segala tulah-Ku terhadap engkau sendiri, terhadap pegawai-pegawaimu dan terhadap rakyatmu, dengan maksud supaya engkau mengetahui, bahwa tidak ada yang seperti Aku di seluruh bumi.
9:15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may strike you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth.
15 Bukankah sudah lama Aku dapat mengacungkan tangan-Ku untuk membunuh engkau dan rakyatmu dengan penyakit sampar, sehingga engkau terhapus dari atas bumi;
9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised you up, in order to show in you my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
16 akan tetapi inilah sebabnya Aku membiarkan engkau hidup, yakni supaya memperlihatkan kepadamu kekuatan-Ku, dan supaya nama-Ku dimasyhurkan di seluruh bumi.
9:17 As yet exalt you yourself against my people, that you will not let them go?
17 Engkau masih selalu mengalangi umat-Ku, sehingga engkau tidak membiarkan mereka pergi.
9:18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
18 Sesungguhnya besok kira-kira waktu ini Aku akan menurunkan hujan es yang sangat dahsyat, seperti yang belum pernah terjadi di Mesir sejak Mesir dijadikan sampai sekarang ini.
9:19 Send therefore now, and gather your cattle, and all that you have in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
19 Oleh sebab itu, ternakmu dan segala yang kaupunyai di padang, suruhlah dibawa ke tempat yang aman; semua orang dan segala hewan, yang ada di padang dan tidak pulang berkumpul ke rumah, akan ditimpa oleh hujan es itu, sehingga mati."
9:20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
20 Maka siapa di antara para pegawai Firaun yang takut kepada firman TUHAN, menyuruh hamba-hambanya serta ternaknya lari ke rumah,
9:21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
21 tetapi siapa yang tidak mengindahkan firman TUHAN, meninggalkan hamba-hambanya serta ternaknya di padang.
9:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth yours hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
22 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Ulurkanlah tanganmu ke langit, supaya hujan es turun di seluruh tanah Mesir, menimpa manusia dan binatang dan menimpa tumbuh-tumbuhan di padang di tanah Mesir."
9:23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
23 Lalu Musa mengulurkan tongkatnya ke langit, maka TUHAN mengadakan guruh dan hujan es, dan apipun menyambar ke bumi, dan TUHAN menurunkan hujan es meliputi tanah Mesir.
9:24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24 Dan turunlah hujan es, beserta api yang berkilat-kilat di tengah-tengah hujan es itu, terlalu dahsyat, seperti yang belum pernah terjadi di seluruh negeri orang Mesir, sejak mereka menjadi suatu bangsa.
9:25 And the hail stroke throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail stroke every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
25 Hujan es itu menimpa binasa segala sesuatu yang ada di padang, di seluruh tanah Mesir, dari manusia sampai binatang; juga segala tumbuh-tumbuhan di padang ditimpa binasa oleh hujan itu dan segala pohon di padang ditumbangkannya.
9:26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
26 Hanya di tanah Gosyen, tempat kediaman orang Israel, tidak ada turun hujan es.
9:27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
27 Lalu Firaun menyuruh memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata kepada mereka: "Aku telah berdosa sekali ini, TUHAN itu yang benar, tetapi aku dan rakyatkulah yang bersalah.
9:28 Implore the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and all of you shall stay no longer.
28 Berdoalah kepada TUHAN; guruh yang sangat dahsyat dan hujan es itu sudah cukup. Maka aku akan membiarkan kamu pergi, tidak usah kamu tinggal lebih lama lagi."
9:29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know how that the earth is the LORD's.
29 Dan berkatalah Musa kepadanya: "Sekeluar aku dari kota ini, aku akan mengembangkan tanganku kepada TUHAN; guruh akan berhenti dan hujan es tidak akan turun lagi, supaya engkau mengetahui, bahwa bumi adalah milik TUHAN.
9:30 But as for you and your servants, I know that all of you will not yet fear the LORD God.
30 Tetapi tentang engkau dan para pegawaimu, aku tahu, bahwa kamu belum takut kepada TUHAN Allah."
9:31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bud.
31 --Tanaman rami dan jelai telah tertimpa binasa, sebab jelai itu sedang berbulir dan rami itu sedang berbunga.
9:32 But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
32 Tetapi gandum dan sekoi tidak tertimpa binasa, sebab belum lagi musimnya. --
9:33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
33 Lalu keluarlah Musa dari kota itu meninggalkan Firaun, dikembangkannyalah tangannya kepada TUHAN, maka berhentilah guruh dan hujan es dan hujan tidak tercurah lagi ke bumi.
9:34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
34 Tetapi ketika Firaun melihat, bahwa hujan, hujan es dan guruh telah berhenti, maka teruslah ia berbuat dosa; ia tetap berkeras hati, baik ia maupun para pegawainya.
9:35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
35 Berkeraslah hati Firaun, sehingga ia tidak membiarkan orang Israel pergi--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN dengan perantaraan Musa.
10:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him:
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Pergilah menghadap Firaun, sebab Aku telah membuat hatinya dan hati para pegawainya berkeras, supaya Aku mengadakan tanda-tanda mujizat yang Kubuat ini di antara mereka,
10:2 And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that all of you may know how that I am the LORD.
2 dan supaya engkau dapat menceriterakan kepada anak cucumu, bagaimana Aku mempermain-mainkan orang Mesir dan tanda-tanda mujizat mana yang telah Kulakukan di antara mereka, supaya kamu mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN."
10:3 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
3 Lalu Musa dan Harun pergi menghadap Firaun dan berkata kepadanya: "Beginilah firman TUHAN, Allah orang Ibrani: Berapa lama lagi engkau menolak untuk merendahkan dirimu di hadapan-Ku? Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku.
10:4 Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into your coast:
4 Sebab jika engkau menolak membiarkan umat-Ku pergi, maka besok Aku akan mendatangkan belalang-belalang ke dalam daerahmu;
10:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:
5 belalang itu akan menutupi permukaan bumi, sehingga orang tidak dapat melihat tanah; belalang itu akan memakan habis sisa yang terluput, yang masih tinggal bagimu dari hujan es itu, bahkan akan memakan habis segala pohonmu yang tumbuh di padang.
10:6 And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
6 Belalang itu akan memenuhi rumahmu, rumah semua pegawaimu, rumah semua orang Mesir seperti yang belum pernah dilihat oleh bapamu dan nenek moyangmu, sejak mereka lahir ke bumi sampai hari ini." Lalu berpalinglah ia dan keluar meninggalkan Firaun.
10:7 And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: know you not yet that Egypt is destroyed?
7 Sesudah itu berkatalah para pegawai Firaun kepadanya: "Berapa lama lagi orang ini akan menjadi jerat kepada kita? Biarkanlah orang-orang itu pergi supaya mereka beribadah kepada TUHAN, Allah mereka. Belumkah tuanku insaf, bahwa Mesir pasti akan binasa?"
10:8 And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?
8 Lalu Musa dan Harun dibawalah kembali kepada Firaun dan berkatalah Firaun kepada mereka: "Pergilah, beribadahlah kepada TUHAN, Allahmu. Siapa-siapa sebenarnya yang akan pergi itu?"
10:9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.
9 Jawab Musa: "Kami hendak pergi dengan orang-orang yang muda dan yang tua; dengan anak-anak lelaki kami dan perempuan, dengan kambing domba kami dan lembu sapi kami, sebab kami harus mengadakan perayaan untuk TUHAN."
10:10 And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.
10 Tetapi Firaun berkata kepada mereka: "TUHAN boleh menyertai kamu, jika aku membiarkan kamu pergi dengan anak-anakmu! Lihat, jahatlah maksudmu!
10:11 Not so: go now all of you that are men, and serve the LORD; for that all of you did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
11 Bukan demikian, kamu boleh pergi, tetapi hanya laki-laki, dan beribadahlah kepada TUHAN, sebab itulah yang kamu kehendaki." Lalu mereka diusir dari depan Firaun.
10:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.
12 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Ulurkanlah tanganmu ke atas tanah Mesir mendatangkan belalang dan belalang akan datang meliputi tanah Mesir dan memakan habis segala tumbuh-tumbuhan di tanah, semuanya yang ditinggalkan oleh hujan es itu."
10:13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
13 Lalu Musa mengulurkan tongkatnya ke atas tanah Mesir, dan TUHAN mendatangkan angin timur melintasi negeri itu, sehari-harian dan semalam-malaman, dan setelah hari pagi, angin timur membawa belalang.
10:14 And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.
14 Datanglah belalang meliputi seluruh tanah Mesir dan hinggap di seluruh daerah Mesir, sangat banyak; sebelum itu tidak pernah ada belalang yang demikian banyaknya dan sesudah itupun tidak akan terjadi lagi yang demikian.
10:15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
15 Belalang menutupi seluruh permukaan bumi, sehingga negeri itu menjadi gelap olehnya; belalang memakan habis segala tumbuh-tumbuhan di tanah dan segala buah-buahan pada pohon-pohon yang ditinggalkan oleh hujan es itu, sehingga tidak ada tinggal lagi yang hijau pada pohon atau tumbuh-tumbuhan di padang di seluruh tanah Mesir.
10:16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.
16 Maka segeralah Firaun memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata: "Aku telah berbuat dosa terhadap TUHAN, Allahmu, dan terhadap kamu.
10:17 Now therefore forgive, I pray you, my sin only this once, and implore the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.
17 Oleh sebab itu, ampunilah kiranya dosaku untuk sekali ini saja dan berdoalah kepada TUHAN, Allahmu itu, supaya bahaya maut ini dijauhkan-Nya dari padaku."
10:18 And he went out from Pharaoh, and implored the LORD.
18 Lalu keluarlah Musa meninggalkan Firaun dan berdoa kepada TUHAN.
10:19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.
19 Maka TUHAN membuat angin bertiup dari jurusan sebaliknya, yakni angin barat yang sangat kencang, yang membawa belalang itu dan melemparkannya ke dalam Laut Teberau: tidak ada satu belalangpun yang tinggal di seluruh daerah Mesir.
10:20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
20 Tetapi TUHAN mengeraskan hati Firaun, sehingga tidak mau membiarkan orang Israel pergi.
10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
21 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Ulurkanlah tanganmu ke langit, supaya datang gelap meliputi tanah Mesir, sehingga orang dapat meraba gelap itu."
10:22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
22 Lalu Musa mengulurkan tangannya ke langit dan datanglah gelap gulita di seluruh tanah Mesir selama tiga hari.
10:23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
23 Tidak ada orang yang dapat melihat temannya, juga tidak ada orang yang dapat bangun dari tempatnya selama tiga hari; tetapi pada semua orang Israel ada terang di tempat kediamannya.
10:24 And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go all of you, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.
24 Lalu Firaun memanggil Musa serta berkata: "Pergilah, beribadahlah kepada TUHAN, hanya kambing dombamu dan lembu sapimu harus ditinggalkan, juga anak-anakmu boleh turut beserta kamu."
10:25 And Moses said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.
25 Tetapi Musa berkata: "Bahkan korban sembelihan dan korban bakaran harus engkau berikan kepada kami, supaya kami menyediakannya untuk TUHAN, Allah kami.
10:26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.
26 Dan juga ternak kami harus turut beserta kami dan satu kakipun tidak akan tinggal, sebab dari ternak itulah kami harus ambil untuk beribadah kepada TUHAN, Allah kami; dan kami tidak tahu, dengan apa kami harus beribadah kepada TUHAN, sebelum kami sampai di sana."
10:27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.
27 Tetapi TUHAN mengeraskan hati Firaun, sehingga dia tidak mau membiarkan mereka pergi.
10:28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get you from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.
28 Lalu Firaun berkata kepadanya: "Pergilah dari padaku; awaslah engkau, jangan lihat mukaku lagi, sebab pada waktu engkau melihat mukaku, engkau akan mati."
10:29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.
29 Kemudian Musa berkata: "Tepat seperti ucapanmu itu! Aku takkan melihat mukamu lagi!"
11:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go behind: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out behind altogether.
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Aku akan mendatangkan satu tulah lagi atas Firaun dan atas Mesir, sesudah itu ia akan membiarkan kamu pergi dari sini; apabila ia membiarkan kamu pergi, ia akan benar-benar mengusir kamu dari sini.
11:2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.
2 Baiklah katakan kepada bangsa itu, supaya setiap laki-laki meminta barang-barang emas dan perak kepada tetangganya dan setiap perempuan kepada tetangganya pula."
11:3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
3 Lalu TUHAN membuat orang Mesir bermurah hati terhadap bangsa itu; lagipula Musa adalah seorang yang sangat terpandang di tanah Mesir, di mata pegawai-pegawai Firaun dan di mata rakyat.
11:4 And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
4 Berkatalah Musa: "Beginilah firman TUHAN: Pada waktu tengah malam Aku akan berjalan dari tengah-tengah Mesir.
11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
5 Maka tiap-tiap anak sulung di tanah Mesir akan mati, dari anak sulung Firaun yang duduk di takhtanya sampai kepada anak sulung budak perempuan yang menghadapi batu kilangan, juga segala anak sulung hewan.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
6 Dan seruan yang hebat akan terjadi di seluruh tanah Mesir, seperti yang belum pernah terjadi dan seperti yang tidak akan ada lagi.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that all of you may know how that the LORD does put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
7 Tetapi kepada siapa juga dari orang Israel, seekor anjingpun tidak akan berani menggonggong, baik kepada manusia maupun kepada binatang, supaya kamu mengetahui, bahwa TUHAN membuat perbedaan antara orang Mesir dan orang Israel.
11:8 And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
8 Dan semua pegawaimu ini akan datang kepadaku dan sujud kepadaku serta berkata: Keluarlah, engkau dan seluruh rakyat yang mengikut engkau; sesudah itu aku akan keluar." Lalu Musa meninggalkan Firaun dengan marah yang bernyala-nyala.
11:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
9 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Firaun tidak akan mendengarkan kamu, supaya mujizat-mujizat yang Kubuat bertambah banyak di tanah Mesir."
11:10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
10 Musa dan Harun telah melakukan segala mujizat ini di depan Firaun. Tetapi TUHAN mengeraskan hati Firaun, sehingga tidak membiarkan orang Israel pergi dari negerinya.
12:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa dan Harun di tanah Mesir:
12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
2 "Bulan inilah akan menjadi permulaan segala bulan bagimu; itu akan menjadi bulan pertama bagimu tiap-tiap tahun.
12:3 Speak all of you unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
3 Katakanlah kepada segenap jemaah Israel: Pada tanggal sepuluh bulan ini diambillah oleh masing-masing seekor anak domba, menurut kaum keluarga, seekor anak domba untuk tiap-tiap rumah tangga.
12:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
4 Tetapi jika rumah tangga itu terlalu kecil jumlahnya untuk mengambil seekor anak domba, maka ia bersama-sama dengan tetangganya yang terdekat ke rumahnya haruslah mengambil seekor, menurut jumlah jiwa; tentang anak domba itu, kamu buatlah perkiraan menurut keperluan tiap-tiap orang.
12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: all of you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
5 Anak dombamu itu harus jantan, tidak bercela, berumur setahun; kamu boleh ambil domba atau kambing.
12:6 And all of you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
6 Kamu harus mengurungnya sampai hari yang keempat belas bulan ini; lalu seluruh jemaah Israel yang berkumpul, harus menyembelihnya pada waktu senja.
12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
7 Kemudian dari darahnya haruslah diambil sedikit dan dibubuhkan pada kedua tiang pintu dan pada ambang atas, pada rumah-rumah di mana orang memakannya.
12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
8 Dagingnya harus dimakan mereka pada malam itu juga; yang dipanggang mereka harus makan dengan roti yang tidak beragi beserta sayur pahit.
12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the inwards thereof.
9 Janganlah kamu memakannya mentah atau direbus dalam air; hanya dipanggang di api, lengkap dengan kepalanya dan betisnya dan isi perutnya.
12:10 And all of you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning all of you shall burn with fire.
10 Janganlah kamu tinggalkan apa-apa dari daging itu sampai pagi; apa yang tinggal sampai pagi kamu bakarlah habis dengan api.
12:11 And thus shall all of you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and all of you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.
11 Dan beginilah kamu memakannya: pinggangmu berikat, kasut pada kakimu dan tongkat di tanganmu; buru-burulah kamu memakannya; itulah Paskah bagi TUHAN.
12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
12 Sebab pada malam ini Aku akan menjalani tanah Mesir, dan semua anak sulung, dari anak manusia sampai anak binatang, akan Kubunuh, dan kepada semua allah di Mesir akan Kujatuhkan hukuman, Akulah, TUHAN.
12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where all of you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
13 Dan darah itu menjadi tanda bagimu pada rumah-rumah di mana kamu tinggal: Apabila Aku melihat darah itu, maka Aku akan lewat dari pada kamu. Jadi tidak akan ada tulah kemusnahan di tengah-tengah kamu, apabila Aku menghukum tanah Mesir.
12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and all of you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; all of you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
14 Hari ini akan menjadi hari peringatan bagimu. Kamu harus merayakannya sebagai hari raya bagi TUHAN turun-temurun. Kamu harus merayakannya sebagai ketetapan untuk selamanya.
12:15 Seven days shall all of you eat unleavened bread; even the first day all of you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
15 Kamu makanlah roti yang tidak beragi tujuh hari lamanya; pada hari pertamapun kamu buanglah segala ragi dari rumahmu, sebab setiap orang yang makan sesuatu yang beragi, dari hari pertama sampai hari ketujuh, orang itu harus dilenyapkan dari antara Israel.
12:16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
16 Kamu adakanlah pertemuan yang kudus, baik pada hari yang pertama maupun pada hari yang ketujuh; pada hari-hari itu tidak boleh dilakukan pekerjaan apapun; hanya apa yang perlu dimakan setiap orang, itu sajalah yang boleh kamu sediakan.
12:17 And all of you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this very same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall all of you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
17 Jadi kamu harus tetap merayakan hari raya makan roti yang tidak beragi, sebab tepat pada hari ini juga Aku membawa pasukan-pasukanmu keluar dari tanah Mesir. Maka haruslah kamu rayakan hari ini turun-temurun; itulah suatu ketetapan untuk selamanya.
12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, all of you shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
18 Dalam bulan pertama, pada hari yang keempat belas bulan itu pada waktu petang, kamu makanlah roti yang tidak beragi, sampai kepada hari yang kedua puluh satu bulan itu, pada waktu petang.
12:19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
19 Tujuh hari lamanya tidak boleh ada ragi dalam rumahmu, sebab setiap orang yang makan sesuatu yang beragi, orang itu harus dilenyapkan dari antara jemaah Israel, baik ia orang asing, baik ia orang asli.
12:20 All of you shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall all of you eat unleavened bread.
20 Sesuatu apapun yang beragi tidak boleh kamu makan; kamu makanlah roti yang tidak beragi di segala tempat kediamanmu."
12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
21 Lalu Musa memanggil semua tua-tua Israel serta berkata kepada mereka: "Pergilah, ambillah kambing domba untuk kaummu dan sembelihlah anak domba Paskah.
12:22 And all of you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
22 Kemudian kamu harus mengambil seikat hisop dan mencelupkannya dalam darah yang ada dalam sebuah pasu, dan darah itu kamu harus sapukan pada ambang atas dan pada kedua tiang pintu; seorangpun dari kamu tidak boleh keluar pintu rumahnya sampai pagi.
12:23 For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to strike you.
23 Dan TUHAN akan menjalani Mesir untuk menulahinya; apabila Ia melihat darah pada ambang atas dan pada kedua tiang pintu itu, maka TUHAN akan melewati pintu itu dan tidak membiarkan pemusnah masuk ke dalam rumahmu untuk menulahi.
12:24 And all of you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons for ever.
24 Kamu harus memegang ini sebagai ketetapan sampai selama-lamanya bagimu dan bagi anak-anakmu.
12:25 And it shall come to pass, when all of you be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that all of you shall keep this service.
25 Dan apabila kamu tiba di negeri yang akan diberikan TUHAN kepadamu, seperti yang difirmankan-Nya, maka kamu harus pelihara ibadah ini.
12:26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean all of you by this service?
26 Dan apabila anak-anakmu berkata kepadamu: Apakah artinya ibadahmu ini?
12:27 That all of you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he stroke the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
27 maka haruslah kamu berkata: Itulah korban Paskah bagi TUHAN yang melewati rumah-rumah orang Israel di Mesir, ketika Ia menulahi orang Mesir, tetapi menyelamatkan rumah-rumah kita." Lalu berlututlah bangsa itu dan sujud menyembah.
12:28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
28 Pergilah orang Israel, lalu berbuat demikian; seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa dan Harun, demikianlah diperbuat mereka.
12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD stroke all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
29 Maka pada tengah malam TUHAN membunuh tiap-tiap anak sulung di tanah Mesir, dari anak sulung Firaun yang duduk di takhtanya sampai kepada anak sulung orang tawanan, yang ada dalam liang tutupan, beserta segala anak sulung hewan.
12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
30 Lalu bangunlah Firaun pada malam itu, bersama semua pegawainya dan semua orang Mesir; dan kedengaranlah seruan yang hebat di Mesir, sebab tidak ada rumah yang tidak kematian.
12:31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both all of you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as all of you have said.
31 Lalu pada malam itu dipanggilnyalah Musa dan Harun, katanya: "Bangunlah, keluarlah dari tengah-tengah bangsaku, baik kamu maupun orang Israel; pergilah, beribadahlah kepada TUHAN, seperti katamu itu.
12:32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as all of you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
32 Bawalah juga kambing dombamu dan lembu sapimu, seperti katamu itu, tetapi pergilah! Dan pohonkanlah juga berkat bagiku."
12:33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
33 Orang Mesir juga mendesak dengan keras kepada bangsa itu, menyuruh bangsa itu pergi dengan segera dari negeri itu, sebab kata mereka: "Nanti kami mati semuanya."
12:34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
34 Lalu bangsa itu mengangkat adonannya, sebelum diragi, dengan tempat adonan mereka terbungkus dalam kainnya di atas bahunya.
12:35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
35 Orang Israel melakukan juga seperti kata Musa; mereka meminta dari orang Mesir barang-barang emas dan perak serta kain-kain.
12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
36 Dan TUHAN membuat orang Mesir bermurah hati terhadap bangsa itu, sehingga memenuhi permintaan mereka. Demikianlah mereka merampasi orang Mesir itu.
12:37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
37 Kemudian berangkatlah orang Israel dari Raamses ke Sukot, kira-kira enam ratus ribu orang laki-laki berjalan kaki, tidak termasuk anak-anak.
12:38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
38 Juga banyak orang dari berbagai-bagai bangsa turut dengan mereka; lagi sangat banyak ternak kambing domba dan lembu sapi.
12:39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
39 Adonan yang dibawa mereka dari Mesir dibakarlah menjadi roti bundar yang tidak beragi, sebab adonan itu tidak diragi, karena mereka diusir dari Mesir dan tidak dapat berlambat-lambat, dan mereka tidak pula menyediakan bekal baginya.
12:40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
40 Lamanya orang Israel diam di Mesir adalah empat ratus tiga puluh tahun.
12:41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the very same day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
41 Sesudah lewat empat ratus tiga puluh tahun, tepat pada hari itu juga, keluarlah segala pasukan TUHAN dari tanah Mesir.
12:42 It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
42 Malam itulah malam berjaga-jaga bagi TUHAN, untuk membawa mereka keluar dari tanah Mesir. Dan itulah juga malam berjaga-jaga bagi semua orang Israel, turun-temurun, untuk kemuliaan TUHAN.
12:43 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
43 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa dan Harun: "Inilah ketetapan mengenai Paskah: Tidak seorangpun dari bangsa asing boleh memakannya.
12:44 But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
44 Seorang budak belian barulah boleh memakannya, setelah engkau menyunat dia.
12:45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
45 Orang pendatang dan orang upahan tidak boleh memakannya.
12:46 In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall all of you break a bone thereof.
46 Paskah itu harus dimakan dalam satu rumah juga; tidak boleh kaubawa sedikitpun dari daging itu keluar rumah; satu tulangpun tidak boleh kamu patahkan.
12:47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
47 Segenap jemaah Israel haruslah merayakannya.
12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
48 Tetapi apabila seorang asing telah menetap padamu dan mau merayakan Paskah bagi TUHAN, maka setiap laki-laki yang bersama-sama dengan dia, wajiblah disunat; barulah ia boleh mendekat untuk merayakannya; ia akan dianggap sebagai orang asli. Tetapi tidak seorangpun yang tidak bersunat boleh memakannya.
12:49 One law shall be to him that is native, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.
49 Satu hukum saja akan berlaku untuk orang asli dan untuk orang asing yang menetap di tengah-tengah kamu."
12:50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
50 Seluruh orang Israel berbuat demikian; seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa dan Harun, demikianlah diperbuat mereka.
12:51 And it came to pass the very same day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
51 Dan tepat pada hari itu juga TUHAN membawa orang Israel keluar dari tanah Mesir, menurut pasukan mereka.
13:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa:
13:2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
2 "Kuduskanlah bagi-Ku semua anak sulung, semua yang lahir terdahulu dari kandungan pada orang Israel, baik pada manusia maupun pada hewan; Akulah yang empunya mereka."
13:3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which all of you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.
3 Lalu berkatalah Musa kepada bangsa itu: "Peringatilah hari ini, sebab pada hari ini kamu keluar dari Mesir, dari rumah perbudakan; karena dengan kekuatan tangan-Nya TUHAN telah membawa kamu keluar dari sana. Sebab itu tidak boleh dimakan sesuatupun yang beragi.
13:4 This day came all of you out in the month Abib.
4 Hari ini kamu keluar, dalam bulan Abib.
13:5 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore unto your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.
5 Apabila TUHAN telah membawa engkau ke negeri orang Kanaan, orang Het, orang Amori, orang Hewi dan orang Yebus, negeri yang telah dijanjikan-Nya dengan sumpah kepada nenek moyangmu untuk memberikannya kepadamu, suatu negeri yang berlimpah-limpah susu dan madunya, maka engkau harus melakukan ibadah ini dalam bulan ini juga.
13:6 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.
6 Makanlah roti yang tidak beragi tujuh hari lamanya dan pada hari yang ketujuh akan diadakan hari raya bagi TUHAN.
13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.
7 Roti yang tidak beragi haruslah dimakan selama tujuh hari itu; sesuatupun yang beragi tidak boleh dilihat padamu, bahkan ragi tidak boleh dilihat padamu di seluruh daerahmu.
13:8 And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
8 Pada hari itu harus kauberitahukan kepada anakmu laki-laki: Ibadah ini adalah karena mengingat apa yang dibuat TUHAN kepadaku pada waktu aku keluar dari Mesir.
13:9 And it shall be for a sign unto you upon yours hand, and for a memorial between yours eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.
9 Hal itu bagimu harus menjadi tanda pada tanganmu dan menjadi peringatan di dahimu, supaya hukum TUHAN ada di bibirmu; sebab dengan tangan yang kuat TUHAN telah membawa engkau keluar dari Mesir.
13:10 You shall therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.
10 Haruslah kaupegang ketetapan ini pada waktunya yang sudah ditentukan, dari tahun ke tahun.
13:11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore unto you and to your fathers, and shall give it you,
11 Apabila engkau telah dibawa TUHAN ke negeri orang Kanaan, seperti yang telah dijanjikan-Nya dengan sumpah kepadamu dan kepada nenek moyangmu, dan negeri itu telah diberikan-Nya kepadamu,
13:12 That you shall set apart unto the LORD all that opens the womb, and every first born that comes of a beast which you have; the males shall be the LORD's.
12 maka haruslah kaupersembahkan bagi TUHAN segala yang lahir terdahulu dari kandungan; juga setiap kali ada hewan yang kaupunyai beranak pertama kali, anak jantan yang sulung adalah bagi TUHAN.
13:13 And every first born of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children shall you redeem.
13 Tetapi setiap anak keledai yang lahir terdahulu kautebuslah dengan seekor domba; atau, jika engkau tidak menebusnya, engkau harus mematahkan batang lehernya. Tetapi mengenai manusia, setiap anak sulung di antara anak-anakmu lelaki, haruslah kautebus.
13:14 And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
14 Dan apabila anakmu akan bertanya kepadamu di kemudian hari: Apakah artinya itu? maka haruslah engkau berkata kepadanya: Dengan kekuatan tangan-Nya TUHAN telah membawa kita keluar dari Mesir, dari rumah perbudakan.
13:15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.
15 Sebab ketika Firaun dengan tegar menolak untuk membiarkan kita pergi, maka TUHAN membunuh semua anak sulung di tanah Mesir, dari anak sulung manusia sampai anak sulung hewan. Itulah sebabnya maka aku biasa mempersembahkan kepada TUHAN segala binatang jantan yang lahir terdahulu dari kandungan, sedang semua anak sulung di antara anak-anakku lelaki kutebus.
13:16 And it shall be for a token upon yours hand, and for frontlets between yours eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.
16 Hal itu harus menjadi tanda pada tanganmu dan menjadi lambang di dahimu, sebab dengan kekuatan tangan-Nya TUHAN membawa kita keluar dari Mesir."
13:17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest possibly the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
17 Setelah Firaun membiarkan bangsa itu pergi, Allah tidak menuntun mereka melalui jalan ke negeri orang Filistin, walaupun jalan ini yang paling dekat; sebab firman Allah: "Jangan-jangan bangsa itu menyesal, apabila mereka menghadapi peperangan, sehingga mereka kembali ke Mesir."
13:18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
18 Tetapi Allah menuntun bangsa itu berputar melalui jalan di padang gurun menuju ke Laut Teberau. Dengan siap sedia berperang berjalanlah orang Israel dari tanah Mesir.
13:19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had strictly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and all of you shall carry up my bones away behind with you.
19 Musa membawa tulang-tulang Yusuf, sebab tadinya Yusuf telah menyuruh anak-anak Israel bersumpah dengan sungguh-sungguh: "Allah tentu akan mengindahkan kamu, maka kamu harus membawa tulang-tulangku dari sini."
13:20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.
20 Demikianlah mereka berangkat dari Sukot dan berkemah di Etam, di tepi padang gurun.
13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
21 TUHAN berjalan di depan mereka, pada siang hari dalam tiang awan untuk menuntun mereka di jalan, dan pada waktu malam dalam tiang api untuk menerangi mereka, sehingga mereka dapat berjalan siang dan malam.
13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
22 Dengan tidak beralih tiang awan itu tetap ada pada siang hari dan tiang api pada waktu malam di depan bangsa itu.
14:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa, demikian:
14:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite to Baalzephon: before it shall all of you camp by the sea.
2 "Katakanlah kepada orang Israel, supaya mereka balik kembali dan berkemah di depan Pi-Hahirot, antara Migdol dan laut; tepat di depan Baal-Zefon berkemahlah kamu, di tepi laut.
14:3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.
3 Maka Firaun akan berkata tentang orang Israel: Mereka telah sesat di negeri ini, padang gurun telah mengurung mereka.
14:4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.
4 Aku akan mengeraskan hati Firaun, sehingga ia mengejar mereka. Dan terhadap Firaun dan seluruh pasukannya Aku akan menyatakan kemuliaan-Ku, sehingga orang Mesir mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN." Lalu mereka berbuat demikian.
14:5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?
5 Ketika diberitahukan kepada raja Mesir, bahwa bangsa itu telah lari, maka berubahlah hati Firaun dan pegawai-pegawainya terhadap bangsa itu, dan berkatalah mereka: "Apakah yang telah kita perbuat ini, bahwa kita membiarkan orang Israel pergi dari perbudakan kita?"
14:6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:
6 Kemudian ia memasang keretanya dan membawa rakyatnya serta.
14:7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
7 Ia membawa enam ratus kereta yang terpilih, ya, segala kereta Mesir, masing-masing lengkap dengan perwiranya.
14:8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
8 Demikianlah TUHAN mengeraskan hati Firaun, raja Mesir itu, sehingga ia mengejar orang Israel. Tetapi orang Israel berjalan terus dipimpin oleh tangan yang dinaikkan.
14:9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
9 Adapun orang Mesir, segala kuda dan kereta Firaun, orang-orang berkuda dan pasukannya, mengejar mereka dan mencapai mereka pada waktu mereka berkemah di tepi laut, dekat Pi-Hahirot di depan Baal-Zefon.
14:10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
10 Ketika Firaun telah dekat, orang Israel menoleh, maka tampaklah orang Mesir bergerak menyusul mereka. Lalu sangat ketakutanlah orang Israel dan mereka berseru-seru kepada TUHAN,
14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
11 dan mereka berkata kepada Musa: "Apakah karena tidak ada kuburan di Mesir, maka engkau membawa kami untuk mati di padang gurun ini? Apakah yang kauperbuat ini terhadap kami dengan membawa kami keluar dari Mesir?
14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
12 Bukankah ini telah kami katakan kepadamu di Mesir: Janganlah mengganggu kami dan biarlah kami bekerja pada orang Mesir. Sebab lebih baik bagi kami untuk bekerja pada orang Mesir dari pada mati di padang gurun ini."
14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear all of you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom all of you have seen to day, all of you shall see them again no more for ever.
13 Tetapi berkatalah Musa kepada bangsa itu: "Janganlah takut, berdirilah tetap dan lihatlah keselamatan dari TUHAN, yang akan diberikan-Nya hari ini kepadamu; sebab orang Mesir yang kamu lihat hari ini, tidak akan kamu lihat lagi untuk selama-lamanya.
14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and all of you shall hold your peace.
14 TUHAN akan berperang untuk kamu, dan kamu akan diam saja."
14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore cry you unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
15 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Mengapakah engkau berseru-seru demikian kepada-Ku? Katakanlah kepada orang Israel, supaya mereka berangkat.
14:16 But lift you up your rod, and stretch out yours hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
16 Dan engkau, angkatlah tongkatmu dan ulurkanlah tanganmu ke atas laut dan belahlah airnya, sehingga orang Israel akan berjalan dari tengah-tengah laut di tempat kering.
14:17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
17 Tetapi sungguh Aku akan mengeraskan hati orang Mesir, sehingga mereka menyusul orang Israel, dan terhadap Firaun dan seluruh pasukannya, keretanya dan orangnya yang berkuda, Aku akan menyatakan kemuliaan-Ku.
14:18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have got me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
18 Maka orang Mesir akan mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN, apabila Aku memperlihatkan kemuliaan-Ku terhadap Firaun, keretanya dan orangnya yang berkuda."
14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
19 Kemudian bergeraklah Malaikat Allah, yang tadinya berjalan di depan tentara Israel, lalu berjalan di belakang mereka; dan tiang awan itu bergerak dari depan mereka, lalu berdiri di belakang mereka.
14:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
20 Demikianlah tiang itu berdiri di antara tentara orang Mesir dan tentara orang Israel; dan oleh karena awan itu menimbulkan kegelapan, maka malam itu lewat, sehingga yang satu tidak dapat mendekati yang lain, semalam-malaman itu.
14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
21 Lalu Musa mengulurkan tangannya ke atas laut, dan semalam-malaman itu TUHAN menguakkan air laut dengan perantaraan angin timur yang keras, membuat laut itu menjadi tanah kering; maka terbelahlah air itu.
14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
22 Demikianlah orang Israel berjalan dari tengah-tengah laut di tempat kering; sedang di kiri dan di kanan mereka air itu sebagai tembok bagi mereka.
14:23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 Orang Mesir mengejar dan menyusul mereka--segala kuda Firaun, keretanya dan orangnya yang berkuda--sampai ke tengah-tengah laut.
14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
24 Dan pada waktu jaga pagi, TUHAN yang di dalam tiang api dan awan itu memandang kepada tentara orang Mesir, lalu dikacaukan-Nya tentara orang Mesir itu.
14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.
25 Ia membuat roda keretanya berjalan miring dan maju dengan berat, sehingga orang Mesir berkata: "Marilah kita lari meninggalkan orang Israel, sebab Tuhanlah yang berperang untuk mereka melawan Mesir."
14:26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
26 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Ulurkanlah tanganmu ke atas laut, supaya air berbalik meliputi orang Mesir, meliputi kereta mereka dan orang mereka yang berkuda."
14:27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
27 Musa mengulurkan tangannya ke atas laut, maka menjelang pagi berbaliklah air laut ke tempatnya, sedang orang Mesir lari menuju air itu; demikianlah TUHAN mencampakkan orang Mesir ke tengah-tengah laut.
14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
28 Berbaliklah segala air itu, lalu menutupi kereta dan orang berkuda dari seluruh pasukan Firaun, yang telah menyusul orang Israel itu ke laut; seorangpun tidak ada yang tinggal dari mereka.
14:29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
29 Tetapi orang Israel berjalan di tempat kering dari tengah-tengah laut, sedang di kiri dan di kanan mereka air itu sebagai tembok bagi mereka.
14:30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
30 Demikianlah pada hari itu TUHAN menyelamatkan orang Israel dari tangan orang Mesir. Dan orang Israel melihat orang Mesir mati terhantar di pantai laut.
14:31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
31 Ketika dilihat oleh orang Israel, betapa besarnya perbuatan yang dilakukan TUHAN terhadap orang Mesir, maka takutlah bangsa itu kepada TUHAN dan mereka percaya kepada TUHAN dan kepada Musa, hamba-Nya itu.
