15:1 そこでモーセとイスラエルの人々は、この歌を主にむかって歌った。彼らは歌って言った、／「主にむかってわたしは歌おう、／彼は輝かしくも勝ちを得られた、／彼は馬と乗り手を海に投げ込まれた。
15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spoke, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.
15:2 主はわたしの力また歌、わたしの救となられた、／彼こそわたしの神、わたしは彼をたたえる、／彼はわたしの父の神、わたしは彼をあがめる。
15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
15:3 主はいくさびと、その名は主。
15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
15:4 彼はパロの戦車とその軍勢とを海に投げ込まれた、／そのすぐれた指揮者たちは紅海に沈んだ。
15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host has he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
15:5 大水は彼らをおおい、彼らは石のように淵に下った。
15:5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
15:6 主よ、あなたの右の手は力をもって栄光にかがやく、／主よ、あなたの右の手は敵を打ち砕く。
15:6 Your right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: your right hand, O LORD, has dashed in pieces the enemy.
15:7 あなたは大いなる威光をもって、／あなたに立ちむかう者を打ち破られた。あなたが怒りを発せられると、／彼らは、わらのように焼きつくされた。
15:7 And in the greatness of yours excellency you have overthrown them that rose up against you: you sent forth your wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
15:8 あなたの鼻の息によって水は積みかさなり、／流れは堤となって立ち、／大水は海のもなかに凝り固まった。
15:8 And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
15:9 敵は言った、『わたしは追い行き、追い着いて、／分捕物を分かち取ろう、／わたしの欲望を彼らによって満たそう、／つるぎを抜こう、わたしの手は彼らを滅ぼそう』。
15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
15:10 あなたが息を吹かれると、海は彼らをおおい、／彼らは鉛のように、大水の中に沈んだ。
15:10 You did blow with your wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
15:11 主よ、神々のうち、だれがあなたに比べられようか、／だれがあなたのように、聖にして栄えあるもの、／ほむべくして恐るべきもの、／くすしきわざを行うものであろうか。
15:11 Who is like unto you, O LORD, among the gods? who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
15:12 あなたが右の手を伸べられると、／地は彼らをのんだ。
15:12 You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them.
15:13 あなたは、あがなわれた民を恵みをもって導き、／み力をもって、あなたの聖なるすまいに伴われた。
15:13 You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength unto your holy habitation.
15:14 もろもろの民は聞いて震え、／ペリシテの住民は苦しみに襲われた。
15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15:15 エドムの族長らは、おどろき、／モアブの首長らは、わななき、／カナンの住民は、みな溶け去った。
15:15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
15:16 恐れと、おののきとは彼らに臨み、／み腕の大いなるゆえに、彼らは石のように黙した、／主よ、あなたの民の通りすぎるまで、／あなたが買いとられた民の通りすぎるまで。
15:16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of yours arm they shall be as still as a stone; till your people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which you have purchased.
15:17 あなたは彼らを導いて、／あなたの嗣業の山に植えられる。主よ、これこそあなたのすまいとして、／みずから造られた所、／主よ、み手によって建てられた聖所。
15:17 You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of yours inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which you have made for you to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which your hands have established.
15:18 主は永遠に統べ治められる」。
15:18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
15:19 パロの馬が、その戦車および騎兵と共に海にはいると、主は海の水を彼らの上に流れ返らされたが、イスラエルの人々は海の中のかわいた地を行った。
15:19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
15:20 そのとき、アロンの姉、女預言者ミリアムはタンバリンを手に取り、女たちも皆タンバリンを取って、踊りながら、そのあとに従って出てきた。
15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
15:21 そこでミリアムは彼らに和して歌った、／「主にむかって歌え、／彼は輝かしくも勝ちを得られた、／彼は馬と乗り手を海に投げ込まれた」。
15:21 And Miriam answered them, Sing all of you to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.
15:22 さて、モーセはイスラエルを紅海から旅立たせた。彼らはシュルの荒野に入り、三日のあいだ荒野を歩いたが、水を得なかった。
15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
15:23 彼らはメラに着いたが、メラの水は苦くて飲むことができなかった。それで、その所の名はメラと呼ばれた。
15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
15:24 ときに、民はモーセにつぶやいて言った、「わたしたちは何を飲むのですか」。
15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
15:26 言われた、「あなたが、もしあなたの神、主の声に良く聞き従い、その目に正しいと見られることを行い、その戒めに耳を傾け、すべての定めを守るならば、わたしは、かつてエジプトびとに下した病を一つもあなたに下さないであろう。わたしは主であって、あなたをいやすものである」。
15:26 And said, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you.
15:27 こうして彼らはエリムに着いた。そこには水の泉十二と、なつめやしの木七十本があった。その所で彼らは水のほとりに宿営した。
15:27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
16:1 イスラエルの人々の全会衆はエリムを出発し、エジプトの地を出て二か月目の十五日に、エリムとシナイとの間にあるシンの荒野にきたが、
16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
16:2 その荒野でイスラエルの人々の全会衆は、モーセとアロンにつぶやいた。
16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
16:3 イスラエルの人々は彼らに言った、「われわれはエジプトの地で、肉のなべのかたわらに座し、飽きるほどパンを食べていた時に、主の手にかかって死んでいたら良かった。あなたがたは、われわれをこの荒野に導き出して、全会衆を餓死させようとしている」。
16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for all of you have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
16:4 そのとき主はモーセに言われた、「見よ、わたしはあなたがたのために、天からパンを降らせよう。民は出て日々の分を日ごとに集めなければならない。こうして彼らがわたしの律法に従うかどうかを試みよう。
16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
16:5 六日目には、彼らが取り入れたものを調理すると、それは日ごとに集めるものの二倍あるであろう」。
16:5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
16:6 モーセとアロンは、イスラエルのすべての人々に言った、「夕暮には、あなたがたは、エジプトの地からあなたがたを導き出されたのが、主であることを知るであろう。
16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then all of you shall know that the LORD has brought you out from the land of Egypt:
16:7 また、朝には、あなたがたは主の栄光を見るであろう。主はあなたがたが主にむかってつぶやくのを聞かれたからである。あなたがたは、いったいわれわれを何者として、われわれにむかってつぶやくのか」。
16:7 And in the morning, then all of you shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he hears your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that all of you murmur against us?
16:8 モーセはまた言った、「主は夕暮にはあなたがたに肉を与えて食べさせ、朝にはパンを与えて飽き足らせられるであろう。主はあなたがたが、主にむかってつぶやくつぶやきを聞かれたからである。いったいわれわれは何者なのか。あなたがたのつぶやくのは、われわれにむかってでなく、主にむかってである」。
16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD hears your murmurings which all of you murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.
16:9 モーセはアロンに言った、「イスラエルの人々の全会衆に言いなさい、『あなたがたは主の前に近づきなさい。主があなたがたのつぶやきを聞かれたからである』と」。
16:9 And Moses spoke unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he has heard your murmurings.
16:10 それでアロンがイスラエルの人々の全会衆に語ったとき、彼らが荒野の方を望むと、見よ、主の栄光が雲のうちに現れていた。
16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
16:11 主はモーセに言われた、
16:11 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:12 「わたしはイスラエルの人々のつぶやきを聞いた。彼らに言いなさい、『あなたがたは夕には肉を食べ、朝にはパンに飽き足りるであろう。そうしてわたしがあなたがたの神、主であることを知るであろう』と」。
16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even all of you shall eat flesh, and in the morning all of you shall be filled with bread; and all of you shall know that I am the LORD your God.
16:13 夕べになると、うずらが飛んできて宿営をおおった。また、朝になると、宿営の周囲に露が降りた。
16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.
16:14 その降りた露がかわくと、荒野の面には、薄いうろこのようなものがあり、ちょうど地に結ぶ薄い霜のようであった。
16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.
16:15 イスラエルの人々はそれを見て互に言った、「これはなんであろう」。彼らはそれがなんであるのか知らなかったからである。モーセは彼らに言った、「これは主があなたがたの食物として賜わるパンである。
16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they know not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.
16:16 主が命じられるのはこうである、『あなたがたは、おのおのその食べるところに従ってそれを集め、あなたがたの人数に従って、ひとり一オメルずつ、おのおのその天幕におるもののためにそれを取りなさい』と」。
16:16 This is the thing which the LORD has commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take all of you every man for them which are in his tents.
16:17 イスラエルの人々はそのようにして、ある者は多く、ある者は少なく集めた。
16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
16:18 しかし、オメルでそれを計ってみると、多く集めた者にも余らず、少なく集めた者にも不足しなかった。おのおのその食べるところに従って集めていた。
16:18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
16:19 モーセは彼らに言った、「だれも朝までそれを残しておいてはならない」。
16:19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
16:20 しかし彼らはモーセに聞き従わないで、ある者は朝までそれを残しておいたが、虫がついて臭くなった。モーセは彼らにむかって怒った。
16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was angry with them.
16:21 彼らは、おのおのその食べるところに従って、朝ごとにそれを集めたが、日が熱くなるとそれは溶けた。
16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
16:22 六日目には、彼らは二倍のパン、すなわちひとりに二オメルを集めた。そこで、会衆の長たちは皆きて、モーセに告げたが、
16:22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
16:23 モーセは彼らに言った、「主の語られたのはこうである、『あすは主の聖安息日で休みである。きょう、焼こうとするものを焼き、煮ようとするものを煮なさい。残ったものはみな朝までたくわえて保存しなさい』と」。
16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which all of you will bake to day, and seethe that all of you will seethe; and that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
16:24 彼らはモーセの命じたように、それを朝まで保存したが、臭くならず、また虫もつかなかった。
16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
16:25 モーセは言った、「きょう、それを食べなさい。きょうは主の安息日であるから、きょうは野でそれを獲られないであろう。
16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; in order to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day all of you shall not find it in the field.
16:26 六日の間はそれを集めなければならない。七日目は安息日であるから、その日には無いであろう」。
16:26 Six days all of you shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
16:27 ところが民のうちには、七日目に出て集めようとした者があったが、獲られなかった。
16:27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day in order to gather, and they found none.
16:28 そこで主はモーセに言われた、「あなたがたは、いつまでわたしの戒めと、律法とを守ることを拒むのか。
16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse all of you to keep my commandments and my laws?
16:29 見よ、主はあなたがたに安息日を与えられた。ゆえに六日目には、ふつか分のパンをあなたがたに賜わるのである。おのおのその所にとどまり、七日目にはその所から出てはならない」。
16:29 See, for that the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide all of you every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
16:30 こうして民は七日目に休んだ。
16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
16:31 イスラエルの家はその物の名をマナと呼んだ。それはコエンドロの実のようで白く、その味は蜜を入れたせんべいのようであった。
16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
16:32 モーセは言った、「主の命じられることはこうである、『それを一オメルあなたがたの子孫のためにたくわえておきなさい。それはわたしが、あなたがたをエジプトの地から導き出した時、荒野であなたがたに食べさせたパンを彼らに見させるためである』と」。
16:32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commands, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.
16:33 そしてモーセはアロンに言った「一つのつぼを取り、マナ一オメルをその中に入れ、それを主の前に置いて、子孫のためにたくわえなさい」。
16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.
16:34 そこで主がモーセに命じられたように、アロンはそれをあかしの箱の前に置いてたくわえた。
16:34 As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
16:35 イスラエルの人々は人の住む地に着くまで四十年の間マナを食べた。すなわち、彼らはカナンの地の境に至るまでマナを食べた。
16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
16:36 一オメルは一エパの十分の一である。
16:36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.
17:1 イスラエルの人々の全会衆は、主の命に従って、シンの荒野を出発し、旅路を重ねて、レピデムに宿営したが、そこには民の飲む水がなかった。
17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
17:2 それで、民はモーセと争って言った、「わたしたちに飲む水をください」。モーセは彼らに言った、「あなたがたはなぜわたしと争うのか、なぜ主を試みるのか」。
17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide all of you with me? wherefore do all of you tempt the LORD?
17:3 民はその所で水にかわき、モーセにつぶやいて言った、「あなたはなぜわたしたちをエジプトから導き出して、わたしたちを、子供や家畜と一緒に、かわきによって死なせようとするのですか」。
17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
17:4 このときモーセは主に叫んで言った、「わたしはこの民をどうすればよいのでしょう。彼らは、今にも、わたしを石で打ち殺そうとしています」。
17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
17:5 主はモーセに言われた、「あなたは民の前に進み行き、イスラエルの長老たちを伴い、あなたがナイル川を打った、つえを手に取って行きなさい。
17:5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, wherewith you smote the river, take in yours hand, and go.
17:6 見よ、わたしはホレブの岩の上であなたの前に立つであろう。あなたは岩を打ちなさい。水がそれから出て、民はそれを飲むことができる」。モーセはイスラエルの長老たちの目の前で、そのように行った。
17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
17:7 そして彼はその所の名をマッサ、またメリバと呼んだ。これはイスラエルの人々が争ったゆえ、また彼らが「主はわたしたちのうちにおられるかどうか」と言って主を試みたからである。
17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
17:8 ときにアマレクがきて、イスラエルとレピデムで戦った。
17:8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
17:9 モーセはヨシュアに言った、「われわれのために人を選び、出てアマレクと戦いなさい。わたしはあす神のつえを手に取って、丘の頂に立つであろう」。
17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
17:10 ヨシュアはモーセが彼に言ったようにし、アマレクと戦った。モーセとアロンおよびホルは丘の頂に登った。
17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
17:11 モーセが手を上げているとイスラエルは勝ち、手を下げるとアマレクが勝った。
17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
17:12 しかしモーセの手が重くなったので、アロンとホルが石を取って、モーセの足もとに置くと、彼はその上に座した。そしてひとりはこちらに、ひとりはあちらにいて、モーセの手をささえたので、彼の手は日没までさがらなかった。
17:12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
17:13 ヨシュアは、つるぎにかけてアマレクとその民を打ち敗った。
17:13 And Joshua humiliated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
17:14 主はモーセに言われた、「これを書物にしるして記念とし、それをヨシュアの耳に入れなさい。わたしは天が下からアマレクの記憶を完全に消し去るであろう」。
17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
17:15 モーセは一つの祭壇を築いてその名を「主はわが旗」と呼んだ。
17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
17:16 そしてモーセは言った、／「主の旗にむかって手を上げる、／主は世々アマレクと戦われる」。
17:16 For he said, Because the LORD has sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
18:1 さて、モーセのしゅうと、ミデアンの祭司エテロは、神がモーセと、み民イスラエルとにされたすべての事、主がイスラエルをエジプトから導き出されたことを聞いた。
18:1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;
18:2 それでモーセのしゅうと、エテロは、さきに送り返されていたモーセの妻チッポラと、
18:2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,
18:3 そのふたりの子とを連れてきた。そのひとりの名はゲルショムといった。モーセが、「わたしは外国で寄留者となっている」と言ったからである。
18:3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an foreigner in a strange land:
18:4 ほかのひとりの名はエリエゼルといった。「わたしの父の神はわたしの助けであって、パロのつるぎからわたしを救われた」と言ったからである。
18:4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:
18:5 こうしてモーセのしゅうと、エテロは、モーセの妻子を伴って、荒野に行き、神の山に宿営しているモーセの所にきた。
18:5 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:
18:6 その時、ある人がモーセに言った、「ごらんなさい。あなたのしゅうと、エテロは、あなたの妻とそのふたりの子を連れて、あなたの所にこられます」。
18:6 And he said unto Moses, I your father in law Jethro am come unto you, and your wife, and her two sons with her.
18:7 そこでモーセはしゅうとを出迎えて、身をかがめ、彼に口づけして、互に安否を問い、共に天幕にはいった。
18:7 And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did reverence, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.
18:8 そしてモーセは、主がイスラエルのために、パロとエジプトびととにされたすべての事、道で出会ったすべての苦しみ、また主が彼らを救われたことを、しゅうとに物語ったので、
18:8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.
18:9 エテロは主がイスラエルをエジプトびとの手から救い出して、もろもろの恵みを賜わったことを喜んだ。
18:9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.
18:10 そしてエテロは言った、「主はほむべきかな。主はあなたがたをエジプトびとの手と、パロの手から救い出し、民をエジプトびとの手の下から救い出された。
18:10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.
18:11 今こそわたしは知った。実に彼らはイスラエルびとにむかって高慢にふるまったが、主はあらゆる神々にまさって大いにいますことを」。
18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.
18:12 そしてモーセのしゅうとエテロは燔祭と犠牲を神に供え、アロンとイスラエルの長老たちもみなきて、モーセのしゅうとと共に神の前で食事をした。
18:12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.
18:13 あくる日モーセは座して民をさばいたが、民は朝から晩まで、モーセのまわりに立っていた。
18:13 And it came to pass on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.
18:14 モーセのしゅうとは、彼がすべて民にしていることを見て、言った、「あなたが民にしているこのことはなんですか。あなたひとりが座し、民はみな朝から晩まで、あなたのまわりに立っているのはなぜですか」。
18:14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that you do to the people? why sit you yourself alone, and all the people stand by you from morning unto even?
18:15 モーセはしゅうとに言った、「民が神に伺おうとして、わたしの所に来るからです。
18:15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:
18:16 彼らは事があれば、わたしの所にきます。わたしは相互の間をさばいて、神の定めと判決を知らせるのです」。
18:16 When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
18:17 モーセのしゅうとは彼に言った、「あなたのしていることは良くない。
18:17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that you do is not good.
18:18 あなたも、あなたと一緒にいるこの民も、必ず疲れ果てるであろう。このことはあなたに重過ぎるから、ひとりですることができない。
18:18 You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself alone.
18:19 今わたしの言うことを聞きなさい。わたしはあなたに助言する。どうか神があなたと共にいますように。あなたは民のために神の前にいて、事件を神に述べなさい。
18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Be you for the people toward God, that you may bring the causes unto God:
18:20 あなたは彼らに定めと判決を教え、彼らの歩むべき道と、なすべき事を彼らに知らせなさい。
18:20 And you shall teach them ordinances and laws, and shall show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
18:21 また、すべての民のうちから、有能な人で、神を恐れ、誠実で不義の利を憎む人を選び、それを民の上に立てて、千人の長、百人の長、五十人の長、十人の長としなさい。
18:21 Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
18:22 平素は彼らに民をさばかせ、大事件はすべてあなたの所に持ってこさせ、小事件はすべて彼らにさばかせなさい。こうしてあなたを身軽にし、あなたと共に彼らに、荷を負わせなさい。
18:22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.
18:23 あなたが、もしこの事を行い、神もまたあなたに命じられるならば、あなたは耐えることができ、この民もまた、みな安んじてその所に帰ることができよう」。
18:23 If you shall do this thing, and God command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.
18:24 モーセはしゅうとの言葉に従い、すべて言われたようにした。
18:24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.
18:25 すなわち、モーセはすべてのイスラエルのうちから有能な人を選んで、民の上に長として立て、千人の長、百人の長、五十人の長、十人の長とした。
18:25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
18:26 平素は彼らが民をさばき、むずかしい事件はモーセに持ってきたが、小さい事件はすべて彼らみずからさばいた。
18:26 And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.
18:27 こうしてモーセはしゅうとを送り返したので、その国に帰って行った。
18:27 And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.
19:1 イスラエルの人々は、エジプトの地を出て後三月目のその日に、シナイの荒野にはいった。
19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
19:2 すなわち彼らはレピデムを出立してシナイの荒野に入り、荒野に宿営した。イスラエルはその所で山の前に宿営した。
19:2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
19:3 さて、モーセが神のもとに登ると、主は山から彼を呼んで言われた、「このように、ヤコブの家に言い、イスラエルの人々に告げなさい、
19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
19:4 『あなたがたは、わたしがエジプトびとにした事と、あなたがたを鷲の翼に載せてわたしの所にこさせたことを見た。
19:4 All of you have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
19:5 それで、もしあなたがたが、まことにわたしの声に聞き従い、わたしの契約を守るならば、あなたがたはすべての民にまさって、わたしの宝となるであろう。全地はわたしの所有だからである。
19:5 Now therefore, if all of you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then all of you shall be an exclusive treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
19:6 あなたがたはわたしに対して祭司の国となり、また聖なる民となるであろう』。これがあなたのイスラエルの人々に語るべき言葉である」。
19:6 And all of you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.
19:7 それでモーセは行って民の長老たちを呼び、主が命じられたこれらの言葉を、すべてその前に述べたので、
19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
19:8 民はみな共に答えて言った、「われわれは主が言われたことを、みな行います」。モーセは民の言葉を主に告げた。
19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD has spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
19:9 主はモーセに言われた、「見よ、わたしは濃い雲のうちにあって、あなたに臨むであろう。それはわたしがあなたと語るのを民に聞かせて、彼らに長くあなたを信じさせるためである」。モーセは民の言葉を主に告げた。
19:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
19:10 主はモーセに言われた、「あなたは民のところに行って、きょうとあす、彼らをきよめ、彼らにその衣服を洗わせ、
19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,
19:11 三日目までに備えさせなさい。三日目に主が、すべての民の目の前で、シナイ山に下るからである。
19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
19:12 あなたは民のために、周囲に境を設けて言いなさい、『あなたがたは注意して、山に上らず、また、その境界に触れないようにしなさい。山に触れる者は必ず殺されるであろう。
19:12 And you shall set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that all of you go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever touches the mount shall be surely put to death:
19:13 手をそれに触れてはならない。触れる者は必ず石で打ち殺されるか、射殺されるであろう。獣でも人でも生きることはできない』。ラッパが長く響いた時、彼らは山に登ることができる」と。
19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.
19:14 そこでモーセは山から民のところに下り、民をきよめた。彼らはその衣服を洗った。
19:14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
19:15 モーセは民に言った、「三日目までに備えをしなさい。女に近づいてはならない」。
19:15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
19:16 三日目の朝となって、かみなりと、いなずまと厚い雲とが、山の上にあり、ラッパの音が、はなはだ高く響いたので、宿営におる民はみな震えた。
19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
19:17 モーセが民を神に会わせるために、宿営から導き出したので、彼らは山のふもとに立った。
19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
19:18 シナイ山は全山煙った。主が火のなかにあって、その上に下られたからである。その煙は、かまどの煙のように立ち上り、全山はげしく震えた。
19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether smoking, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
19:19 ラッパの音が、いよいよ高くなったとき、モーセは語り、神は、かみなりをもって、彼に答えられた。
19:19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.
19:20 主はシナイ山の頂に下られた。そして主がモーセを山の頂に召されたので、モーセは登った。
19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
19:21 主はモーセに言われた、「下って行って民を戒めなさい。民が押し破って、主のところにきて、見ようとし、多くのものが死ぬことのないようにするためである。
19:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
19:22 主に近づく祭司たちにもまた、その身をきよめさせなさい。主が彼らを打つことのないようにするためである」。
19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
19:23 モーセは主に言った、「民はシナイ山に登ることはできないでしょう。あなたがわたしたちを戒めて『山のまわりに境を設け、それをきよめよ』と言われたからです」。
19:23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for you charged us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
19:24 主は彼に言われた、「行け、下れ。そしてあなたはアロンと共に登ってきなさい。ただし、祭司たちと民とが、押し破って主のところに登ることのないようにしなさい。主が彼らを打つことのないようにするためである」。
19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get you down, and you shall come up, you, and Aaron with you: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
19:25 モーセは民の所に下って行って彼らに告げた。
19:25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spoke unto them.
20:1 神はこのすべての言葉を語って言われた。
20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
20:2 「わたしはあなたの神、主であって、あなたをエジプトの地、奴隷の家から導き出した者である。
20:2 I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
20:3 あなたはわたしのほかに、なにものをも神としてはならない。
20:3 You shall have no other gods before me.
20:4 あなたは自分のために、刻んだ像を造ってはならない。上は天にあるもの、下は地にあるもの、また地の下の水のなかにあるものの、どんな形をも造ってはならない。
20:4 You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
20:5 それにひれ伏してはならない。それに仕えてはならない。あなたの神、主であるわたしは、ねたむ神であるから、わたしを憎むものは、父の罪を子に報いて、三、四代に及ぼし、
20:5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
20:6 わたしを愛し、わたしの戒めを守るものには、恵みを施して、千代に至るであろう。
20:6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
20:7 あなたは、あなたの神、主の名を、みだりに唱えてはならない。主は、み名をみだりに唱えるものを、罰しないでは置かないであろう。
20:7 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.
20:8 安息日を覚えて、これを聖とせよ。
20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9 六日のあいだ働いてあなたのすべてのわざをせよ。
20:9 Six days shall you labour, and do all your work:
20:10 七日目はあなたの神、主の安息であるから、なんのわざをもしてはならない。あなたもあなたのむすこ、娘、しもべ、はしため、家畜、またあなたの門のうちにいる他国の人もそうである。
20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:
20:11 主は六日のうちに、天と地と海と、その中のすべてのものを造って、七日目に休まれたからである。それで主は安息日を祝福して聖とされた。
20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
20:12 あなたの父と母を敬え。これは、あなたの神、主が賜わる地で、あなたが長く生きるためである。
20:12 Honour your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
20:13 あなたは殺してはならない。
20:13 You shall not kill.
20:14 あなたは姦淫してはならない。
20:14 You shall not commit adultery.
20:15 あなたは盗んではならない。
20:15 You shall not steal.
20:16 あなたは隣人について、偽証してはならない。
20:16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
20:17 あなたは隣人の家をむさぼってはならない。隣人の妻、しもべ、はしため、牛、ろば、またすべて隣人のものをむさぼってはならない」。
20:17 You shall not covet your neighbour's house, you shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbour's.
20:18 民は皆、かみなりと、いなずまと、ラッパの音と、山の煙っているのとを見た。民は恐れおののき、遠く離れて立った。
20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood far off.
20:19 彼らはモーセに言った、「あなたがわたしたちに語ってください。わたしたちは聞き従います。神がわたしたちに語られぬようにしてください。それでなければ、わたしたちは死ぬでしょう」。
20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak you with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20:20 モーセは民に言った、「恐れてはならない。神はあなたがたを試みるため、またその恐れをあなたがたの目の前において、あなたがたが罪を犯さないようにするために臨まれたのである」。
20:20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God has come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that all of you sin not.
20:21 そこで、民は遠く離れて立ったが、モーセは神のおられる濃い雲に近づいて行った。
20:21 And the people stood far off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
20:22 主はモーセに言われた、「あなたはイスラエルの人々にこう言いなさい、『あなたがたは、わたしが天からあなたがたと語るのを見た。
20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus you shall say unto the children of Israel, All of you have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
20:23 あなたがたはわたしと並べて、何をも造ってはならない。銀の神々も、金の神々も、あなたがたのために、造ってはならない。
20:23 All of you shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall all of you make unto you gods of gold.
20:24 あなたはわたしのために土の祭壇を築き、その上にあなたの燔祭、酬恩祭、羊、牛をささげなければならない。わたしの名を覚えさせるすべての所で、わたしはあなたに臨んで、あなたを祝福するであろう。
20:24 An altar of earth you shall make unto me, and shall sacrifice thereon your burnt offerings, and your peace offerings, your sheep, and yours oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto you, and I will bless you.
20:25 あなたがもしわたしに石の祭壇を造るならば、切り石で築いてはならない。あなたがもし、のみをそれに当てるならば、それをけがすからである。
20:25 And if you will make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone: for if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.
20:26 あなたは階段によって、わたしの祭壇に登ってはならない。あなたの隠し所が、その上にあらわれることのないようにするためである』。
20:26 Neither shall you go up by steps unto mine altar, that your nakedness be not discovered thereon.
21:1 これはあなたが彼らの前に示すべきおきてである。
21:1 Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them.
21:2 あなたがヘブルびとである奴隷を買う時は、六年のあいだ仕えさせ、七年目には無償で自由の身として去らせなければならない。
21:2 If you buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
21:3 彼がもし独身できたならば、独身で去らなければならない。もし妻を持っていたならば、その妻は彼と共に去らなければならない。
21:3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
21:4 もしその主人が彼に妻を与えて、彼に男の子また女の子を産んだならば、妻とその子供は主人のものとなり、彼は独身で去らなければならない。
21:4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.
21:5 奴隷がもし『わたしは、わたしの主人と、わたしの妻と子供を愛します。わたしは自由の身となって去ることを好みません』と明言するならば、
21:5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
21:6 その主人は彼を神のもとに連れて行き、戸あるいは柱のところに連れて行って、主人は、きりで彼の耳を刺し通さなければならない。そうすれば彼はいつまでもこれに仕えるであろう。
21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
21:7 もし人がその娘を女奴隷として売るならば、その娘は男奴隷が去るように去ってはならない。
21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the male servants do.
21:8 彼女がもし彼女を自分のものと定めた主人の気にいらない時は、その主人は彼女が、あがなわれることを、これに許さなければならない。彼はこれを欺いたのであるから、これを他国の民に売る権利はない。
21:8 If she please not her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her.
21:9 彼がもし彼女を自分の子のものと定めるならば、これを娘のように扱わなければならない。
21:9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
21:10 彼が、たとい、ほかに女をめとることがあっても、前の女に食物と衣服を与えることと、その夫婦の道とを絶えさせてはならない。
21:10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
21:11 彼がもしこの三つを行わないならば、彼女は金を償わずに去ることができる。
21:11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.
21:12 人を撃って死なせた者は、必ず殺されなければならない。
21:12 He that strikes a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
21:13 しかし、人がたくむことをしないのに、神が彼の手に人をわたされることのある時は、わたしはあなたのために一つの所を定めよう。彼はその所へのがれることができる。
21:13 And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee.
21:14 しかし人がもし、ことさらにその隣人を欺いて殺す時は、その者をわたしの祭壇からでも、捕えて行って殺さなければならない。
21:14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; you shall take him from mine altar, that he may die.
21:15 自分の父または母を撃つ者は、必ず殺されなければならない。
21:15 And he that strikes his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
21:16 人をかどわかした者は、これを売っていても、なお彼の手にあっても、必ず殺されなければならない。
21:16 And he that steals a man, and sells him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
21:17 自分の父または母をのろう者は、必ず殺されなければならない。
21:17 And he that curses his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
21:18 人が互に争い、そのひとりが石または、こぶしで相手を撃った時、これが死なないで床につき、
21:18 And if men strive together, and one strike another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keeps his bed:
21:19 再び起きあがって、つえにすがり、外を歩くようになるならば、これを撃った者は、ゆるされるであろう。ただその仕事を休んだ損失を償い、かつこれにじゅうぶん治療させなければならない。
21:19 If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that stroke him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.
21:20 もし人がつえをもって、自分の男奴隷または女奴隷を撃ち、その手の下に死ぬならば、必ず罰せられなければならない。
21:20 And if a man strike his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
21:21 しかし、彼がもし一日か、ふつか生き延びるならば、その人は罰せられない。奴隷は彼の財産だからである。
21:21 Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
21:22 もし人が互に争って、身ごもった女を撃ち、これに流産させるならば、ほかの害がなくとも、彼は必ずその女の夫の求める罰金を課せられ、裁判人の定めるとおりに支払わなければならない。
21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
21:23 しかし、ほかの害がある時は、命には命、
21:23 And if any mischief follow, then you shall give life for life,
21:24 目には目、歯には歯、手には手、足には足、
21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
21:25 焼き傷には焼き傷、傷には傷、打ち傷には打ち傷をもって償わなければならない。
21:25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
21:26 もし人が自分の男奴隷の片目、または女奴隷の片目を撃ち、これをつぶすならば、その目のためにこれを自由の身として去らせなければならない。
21:26 And if a man strike the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.
21:27 また、もしその男奴隷の一本の歯、またはその女奴隷の一本の歯を撃ち落すならば、その歯のためにこれを自由の身として去らせなければならない。
21:27 And if he strike out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.
21:28 もし牛が男または女を突いて殺すならば、その牛は必ず石で撃ち殺されなければならない。その肉は食べてはならない。しかし、その牛の持ち主は罪がない。
21:28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.
21:29 牛がもし以前から突く癖があって、その持ち主が注意されても、これを守りおかなかったために、男または女を殺したならば、その牛は石で撃ち殺され、その持ち主もまた殺されなければならない。
21:29 But if the ox were known to push with his horn in time past, and it has been testified to his owner, and he has not kept him in, but that he has killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
21:30 彼がもし、あがないの金を課せられたならば、すべて課せられたほどのものを、命の償いに支払わなければならない。
21:30 If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.
21:31 男の子を突いても、女の子を突いても、この定めに従って処置されなければならない。
21:31 Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.
21:32 牛がもし男奴隷または女奴隷を突くならば、その主人に銀三十シケルを支払わなければならない。またその牛は石で撃ち殺されなければならない。
21:32 If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

21:33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;

21:34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

21:35 And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

22:1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

22:3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
22:4 もしその盗んだ物がなお生きて、彼の手もとにあれば、それは牛、ろば、羊のいずれにせよ、これを二倍にして償わなければならない。
22:4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

22:5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
22:6 もし火が出て、いばらに移り、積みあげた麦束、または立穂、または畑を焼いたならば、その火を燃やした者は、必ずこれを償わなければならない。
22:6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
22:7 もし人が金銭または物品の保管を隣人に託し、それが隣人の家から盗まれた時、その盗びとが見つけられたならば、これを二倍にして償わせなければならない。
22:7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.

22:8 If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.

22:9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing which another challenges to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
22:10 もし人が、ろば、または牛、または羊、またはどんな家畜でも、それを隣人に預けて、それが死ぬか、傷つくか、あるいは奪い去られても、それを見た者がなければ、
22:10 If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

22:11 Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.

22:12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

22:13 If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

22:14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
22:15 もしその持ち主がそれと共におれば、それを償うに及ばない。もしそれが賃借りしたものならば、その借賃をそれに当てなければならない。
22:15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.
22:16 もし人がまだ婚約しない処女を誘って、これと寝たならば、彼は必ずこれに花嫁料を払って、妻としなければならない。
22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely secure her to be his wife.

22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

22:18 You shall not suffer a witch to live.

22:19 Whosoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.

22:20 He that sacrifices unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

22:21 You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for all of you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

22:24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

22:25 If you lend money to any of my people that is poor by you, you shall not be to him as an usurer, neither shall you lay upon him interest.

22:26 If you at all take your neighbour's raiment to pledge, you shall deliver it unto him by that the sun goes down:

22:28 You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.

22:29 You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe fruits, and of your liquors: the firstborn of your sons shall you give unto me.

22:30 Likewise shall you do with yours oxen, and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day you shall give it me.

23:1 You shall not raise a false report: put not yours hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

23:2 You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you speak in a cause to decline after many to shift judgment:

23:7 Keep you far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay you not: for I will not justify the wicked.

23:8 And you shall take no gift: for the gift blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

23:9 Also you shall not oppress a stranger: for all of you know the heart of a stranger, seeing all of you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

23:10 And six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in the fruits thereof:

23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.

23:14 Three times you shall keep a feast unto me in the year.

23:15 You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
23:16 また、あなたが畑にまいて獲た物の勤労の初穂をささげる刈入れの祭と、あなたの勤労の実を畑から取り入れる年の終りに、取入れの祭を行わなければならない。
23:16 And the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of your labours, which you have sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when you have gathered in your labours out of the field.
23:17 男子はみな、年に三度、主なる神の前に出なければならない。
23:17 Three items in the year all your males shall appear before the LORD God.
23:18 あなたはわたしの犠牲の血を、種を入れたパンと共にささげてはならない。また、わたしの祭の脂肪を翌朝まで残して置いてはならない。
23:18 You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

23:19 The first of the first-fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

23:26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in your land: the number of your days I will fulfill.

23:27 I will send my fear before you, and will destroy all the people to whom you shall come, and I will make all yours enemies turn their backs unto you.

23:28 And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.

23:29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against you.

23:30 By little and little I will drive them out from before you, until you be increased, and inherit the land.

23:31 And I will set your bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out before you.

23:32 You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

24:1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship all of you far off.

24:2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

24:3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD has said will we do.
24:4 そしてモーセは主の言葉を、ことごとく書きしるし、朝はやく起きて山のふもとに祭壇を築き、イスラエルの十二部族に従って十二の柱を建て、
24:4 And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
24:5 イスラエルの人々のうちの若者たちをつかわして、主に燔祭をささげさせ、また酬恩祭として雄牛をささげさせた。
24:5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
24:6 その時モーセはその血の半ばを取って、鉢に入れ、また、その血の半ばを祭壇に注ぎかけた。
24:6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.

24:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:

24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

24:13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

24:14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry all of you here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
24:15 こうしてモーセは山に登ったが、雲は山をおおっていた。
24:15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
24:16 主の栄光がシナイ山の上にとどまり、雲は六日のあいだ、山をおおっていたが、七日目に主は雲の中からモーセを呼ばれた。
24:16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
24:17 主の栄光は山の頂で、燃える火のようにイスラエルの人々の目に見えたが、
24:17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

24:18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
25:1 主はモーセに言われた、
25:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his heart all of you shall take my offering.

25:3 And this is the offering which all of you shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

25:4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
25:5 あかね染の雄羊の皮、じゅごんの皮、アカシヤ材、
25:5 And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
25:6 ともし油、注ぎ油と香ばしい薫香のための香料、
25:6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,
25:7 縞めのう、エポデと胸当にはめる宝石。
25:7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
25:8 また、彼らにわたしのために聖所を造らせなさい。わたしが彼らのうちに住むためである。
25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
25:9 すべてあなたに示す幕屋の型および、そのもろもろの器の型に従って、これを造らなければならない。
25:9 According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall all of you make it.
25:10 彼らはアカシヤ材で箱を造らなければならない。長さは二キュビト半、幅は一キュビト半、高さは一キュビト半。
25:10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
25:11 あなたは純金でこれをおおわなければならない。すなわち内外ともにこれをおおい、その上の周囲に金の飾り縁を造らなければならない。
25:11 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, within and without shall you overlay it, and shall make upon it a crown of gold round about.
25:12 また金の環四つを鋳て、その四すみに取り付けなければならない。すなわち二つの環をこちら側に、二つの環をあちら側に付けなければならない。
25:12 And you shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.
25:13 またアカシヤ材のさおを造り、金でこれをおおわなければならない。
25:13 And you shall make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
25:14 そしてそのさおを箱の側面の環に通し、それで箱をかつがなければならない。
25:14 And you shall put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
25:15 さおは箱の環に差して置き、それを抜き放してはならない。
25:15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
25:16 そしてその箱に、わたしがあなたに与えるあかしの板を納めなければならない。
25:16 And you shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
25:17 また純金の贖罪所を造らなければならない。長さは二キュビト半、幅は一キュビト半。
25:17 And you shall make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
25:18 また二つの金のケルビムを造らなければならない。これを打物造りとし、贖罪所の両端に置かなければならない。
25:18 And you shall make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shall you make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
25:19 一つのケルブをこの端に、一つのケルブをかの端に造り、ケルビムを贖罪所の一部としてその両端に造らなければならない。
25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall all of you make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
25:20 ケルビムは翼を高く伸べ、その翼をもって贖罪所をおおい、顔は互にむかい合い、ケルビムの顔は贖罪所にむかわなければならない。
25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
25:21 あなたは贖罪所を箱の上に置き、箱の中にはわたしが授けるあかしの板を納めなければならない。
25:21 And you shall put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.
25:22 その所でわたしはあなたに会い、贖罪所の上から、あかしの箱の上にある二つのケルビムの間から、イスラエルの人々のために、わたしが命じようとするもろもろの事を、あなたに語るであろう。
25:22 And there I will meet with you, and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment unto the children of Israel.
25:23 あなたはまたアカシヤ材の机を造らなければならない。長さは二キュビト、幅は一キュビト、高さは一キュビト半。
25:23 You shall also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
25:24 純金でこれをおおい、周囲に金の飾り縁を造り、
25:24 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
25:25 またその周囲に手幅の棧を造り、その棧の周囲に金の飾り縁を造らなければならない。
25:25 And you shall make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and you shall make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.
25:26 また、そのために金の環四つを造り、その四つの足のすみ四か所にその環を取り付けなければならない。
25:26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.
25:27 環は棧のわきに付けて、机をかつぐさおを入れる所としなければならない。
25:27 Opposite to the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.
25:28 またアカシヤ材のさおを造り、金でこれをおおい、それをもって、机をかつがなければならない。
25:28 And you shall make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
25:29 また、その皿、乳香を盛る杯および灌祭を注ぐための瓶と鉢を造り、これらは純金で造らなければならない。
25:29 And you shall make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover likewise: of pure gold shall you make them.
25:30 そして机の上には供えのパンを置いて、常にわたしの前にあるようにしなければならない。
25:30 And you shall set upon the table showbread before me always.
25:31 また純金の燭台を造らなければならない。燭台は打物造りとし、その台、幹、萼、節、花を一つに連ならせなければならない。
25:31 And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
25:32 また六つの枝をそのわきから出させ、燭台の三つの枝をこの側から、燭台の三つの枝をかの側から出させなければならない。
25:32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
25:33 あめんどうの花の形をした三つの萼が、それぞれ節と花をもって一つの枝にあり、また、あめんどうの花の形をした三つの萼が、それぞれ節と花をもってほかの枝にあるようにし、燭台から出る六つの枝を、みなそのようにしなければならない。
25:33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a the shape of round apples and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a the shape of round apples and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
25:34 また、燭台の幹には、あめんどうの花の形をした四つの萼を付け、その萼にはそれぞれ節と花をもたせなさい。
25:34 And in the candlesticks shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.
25:35 すなわち二つの枝の下に一つの節を取り付け、次の二つの枝の下に一つの節を取り付け、更に次の二つの枝の下に一つの節を取り付け、燭台の幹から出る六つの枝に、みなそのようにしなければならない。
25:35 And there shall be a the shape of round apples under two branches of the same, and a the shape of round apples under two branches of the same, and a the shape of round apples under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
25:36 それらの節と枝を一つに連ね、ことごとく純金の打物造りにしなければならない。
25:36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
25:37 また、それのともしび皿を七つ造り、そのともしび皿に火をともして、その前方を照させなければならない。
25:37 And you shall make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light opposite to it.
25:38 その芯切りばさみと、芯取り皿は純金で造らなければならない。
25:38 And the tongs thereof, and the intruments for snuffings thereof, shall be of pure gold.
25:39 すなわち純金一タラントで燭台と、これらのもろもろの器とが造られなければならない。
25:39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.
25:40 そしてあなたが山で示された型に従い、注意してこれを造らなければならない。
25:40 And look that you make them after their pattern, which was showed you in the mount.
26:1 あなたはまた十枚の幕をもって幕屋を造らなければならない。すなわち亜麻の撚糸、青糸、紫糸、緋糸で幕を作り、巧みなわざをもって、それにケルビムを織り出さなければならない。
26:1 Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shall you make them.
26:2 幕の長さは、おのおの二十八キュビト、幕の幅は、おのおの四キュビトで、幕は皆同じ寸法でなければならない。
26:2 The length of one curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.
26:3 その幕五枚を互に連ね合わせ、また他の五枚の幕をも互に連ね合わせなければならない。
26:3 The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.
26:4 その一連の端にある幕の縁に青色の乳をつけ、また他の一連の端にある幕の縁にもそのようにしなければならない。
26:4 And you shall make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shall you make in the uttermost edge of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.
26:5 あなたは、その一枚の幕に乳五十をつけ、また他の一連の幕の端にも乳五十をつけ、その乳を互に相向かわせなければならない。
26:5 Fifty loops shall you make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shall you make in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another.
26:6 あなたはまた金の輪五十を作り、その輪で幕を互に連ね合わせて一つの幕屋にしなければならない。
26:6 And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains together with the clasps: and it shall be one tabernacle.
26:7 また幕屋をおおう天幕のためにやぎの毛糸で幕を作らなければならない。すなわち幕十一枚を作り、
26:7 And you shall make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shall you make.
26:8 その一枚の幕の長さは三十キュビト、その一枚の幕の幅は四キュビトで、その十一枚の幕は同じ寸法でなければならない。
26:8 The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.
26:9 そして、その幕五枚を一つに連ね合わせ、またその幕六枚を一つに連ね合わせて、その六枚目の幕を天幕の前で折り重ねなければならない。
26:9 And you shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shall double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.
26:10 またその一連の端にある幕の縁に乳五十をつけ、他の一連の幕の縁にも乳五十をつけなさい。
26:10 And you shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is utmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which joins the second.
26:11 そして青銅の輪五十を作り、その輪を乳に掛け、その天幕を連ね合わせて一つにし、
26:11 And you shall make fifty clasps of brass, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.
26:12 その天幕の幕の残りの垂れる部分、すなわちその残りの半幕を幕屋のうしろに垂れさせなければならない。
26:12 And the remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.
26:13 そして天幕の幕のたけで余るものの、こちらのキュビトと、あちらのキュビトとは、幕屋をおおうように、その両側のこちらとあちらとに垂れさせなければならない。
26:13 And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
26:14 また、あかね染めの雄羊の皮で天幕のおおいと、じゅごんの皮でその上にかけるおおいとを造らなければならない。
26:14 And you shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins.
26:15 あなたは幕屋のために、アカシヤ材で立枠を造らなければならない。
26:15 And you shall make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up.
26:16 枠の長さを十キュビト、枠の幅を一キュビト半とし、
26:16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.
26:17 枠ごとに二つの柄を造って、かれとこれとを食い合わさせ、幕屋のすべての枠にこのようにしなければならない。
26:17 Two connections shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shall you make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
26:18 あなたは幕屋のために枠を造り、南側のために枠二十とし、
26:18 And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward.
26:19 その二十の枠の下に銀の座四十を造って、この枠の下に、その二つの柄のために二つの座を置き、かの枠の下にもその二つの柄のために二つの座を置かなければならない。
26:19 And you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two connections, and two sockets under another board for his two connections.
26:20 また幕屋の他の側、すなわち北側のためにも枠二十を造り、
26:20 And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards:
26:21 その銀の座四十を造って、この枠の下に、二つの座を置き、かの枠の下にも二つの座を置かなければならない。
26:21 And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26:22 また幕屋のうしろ、すなわち西側のために枠六つを造り、
26:22 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards.
26:23 幕屋のうしろの二つのすみのために枠二つを造らなければならない。
26:23 And two boards shall you make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.
26:24 これらは下で重なり合い、同じくその頂でも第一の環まで重なり合うようにし、その二つともそのようにしなければならない。それらは二つのすみのために設けるものである。
26:24 And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
26:25 こうしてその枠は八つ、その銀の座は十六、この枠の下に二つの座、かの枠の下にも二つの座を置かなければならない。
26:25 And they shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26:26 またアカシヤ材で横木を造らなければならない。すなわち幕屋のこの側の枠のために五つ、
26:26 And you shall make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
26:27 また幕屋のかの側の枠のために横木五つ、幕屋のうしろの西側の枠のために横木五つを造り、
26:27 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward.
26:28 枠のまん中にある中央の横木は端から端まで通るようにしなければならない。
26:28 And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.
26:29 そしてその枠を金でおおい、また横木を通すその環を金で造り、また、その横木を金でおおわなければならない。
26:29 And you shall overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and you shall overlay the bars with gold.
26:30 こうしてあなたは山で示された様式に従って幕屋を建てなければならない。
26:30 And you shall rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was showed you in the mount.
26:31 また青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸で垂幕を作り、巧みなわざをもって、それにケルビムを織り出さなければならない。
26:31 And you shall make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:
26:32 そして金でおおった四つのアカシヤ材の柱の金の鉤にこれを掛け、その柱は四つの銀の座の上にすえなければならない。
26:32 And you shall hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.
26:33 その垂幕の輪を鉤に掛け、その垂幕の内にあかしの箱を納めなさい。その垂幕はあなたがたのために聖所と至聖所とを隔て分けるであろう。
26:33 And you shall hang up the vail under the clasps, that you may bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
26:34 また至聖所にあるあかしの箱の上に贖罪所を置かなければならない。
26:34 And you shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
26:35 そしてその垂幕の外に机を置き、幕屋の南側に、机に向かい合わせて燭台を置かなければならない。ただし机は北側に置かなければならない。
26:35 And you shall set the table without the vail, and the candlestick opposite to the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and you shall put the table on the north side.
26:36 あなたはまた天幕の入口のために青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸で、色とりどりに織ったとばりを作らなければならない。
26:36 And you shall make an hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework.
26:37 あなたはそのとばりのためにアカシヤ材の柱五つを造り、これを金でおおい、その鉤を金で造り、またその柱のために青銅の座五つを鋳て造らなければならない。
26:37 And you shall make for the hanging five pillars of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: and you shall cast five sockets of brass for them.
27:1 あなたはまたアカシヤ材で祭壇を造らなければならない。長さ五キュビト、幅五キュビトの四角で、高さは三キュビトである。
27:1 And you shall make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.
27:2 その四すみの上にその一部としてそれの角を造り、青銅で祭壇をおおわなければならない。
27:2 And you shall make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and you shall overlay it with brass.
27:3 また灰を取るつぼ、十能、鉢、肉叉、火皿を造り、その器はみな青銅で造らなければならない。
27:3 And you shall make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his forks, and his fire-pans: all the vessels thereof you shall make of brass.
27:4 また祭壇のために青銅の網細工の格子を造り、その四すみで、網の上に青銅の環を四つ取り付けなければならない。
27:4 And you shall make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shall you make four brazen rings in the four corners thereof.
27:5 その網を祭壇の出張りの下に取り付け、これを祭壇の高さの半ばに達するようにしなければならない。
27:5 And you shall put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.
27:6 また祭壇のために、さおを造らなければならない。すなわちアカシヤ材で、さおを造り、青銅で、これをおおわなければならない。
27:6 And you shall make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
27:7 そのさおを環に通し、さおを祭壇の両側にして、これをかつがなければならない。
27:7 And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.
27:8 祭壇は板で空洞に造り、山で示されたように、これを造らなければならない。
27:8 Hollow with boards shall you make it: as it was showed you in the mount, so shall they make it.
27:9 あなたはまた幕屋の庭を造り、両側では庭のために長さ百キュビトの亜麻の撚糸のあげばりを設け、その一方に当てなければならない。
27:9 And you shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:
27:10 その柱は二十、その柱の二十の座は青銅にし、その柱の鉤と桁とは銀にしなければならない。
27:10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.
27:11 また同じく北側のために、長さ百キュビトのあげばりを設けなければならない。その柱は二十、その柱の二十の座は青銅にし、その柱の鉤と桁とは銀にしなければならない。
27:11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
27:12 また庭の西側の幅のために五十キュビトのあげばりを設けなければならない。その柱は十、その座も十。
27:12 And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.
27:13 また東側でも庭の幅を五十キュビトにしなければならない。
27:13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.
27:14 そしてその一方に十五キュビトのあげばりを設けなければならない。その柱は三つ、その座も三つ。
27:14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
27:15 また他の一方にも十五キュビトのあげばりを設けなければならない。その柱は三つ、その座も三つ。
27:15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
27:16 庭の門のために青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸で、色とりどりに織った長さ二十キュビトのとばりを設けなければならない。その柱は四つ、その座も四つ。
27:16 And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.
27:17 庭の周囲の柱はみな銀の桁でつなぎ、その鉤は銀、その座は青銅にしなければならない。
27:17 All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.
27:18 庭の長さは百キュビト、その幅は五十キュビト、その高さは五キュビトで、亜麻の撚糸の布を掛けめぐらし、その座を青銅にしなければならない。
27:18 The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.
27:19 すべて幕屋に用いるもろもろの器、およびそのすべての釘、また庭のすべての釘は青銅で造らなければならない。
27:19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.
27:20 あなたはまたイスラエルの人々に命じて、オリブをつぶして採った純粋の油を、ともし火のために持ってこさせ、絶えずともし火をともさなければならない。
27:20 And you shall command the children of Israel, that they bring you pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.
27:21 アロンとその子たちとは、会見の幕屋の中のあかしの箱の前にある垂幕の外で、夕から朝まで主の前に、そのともし火を整えなければならない。これはイスラエルの人々の守るべき世々変らざる定めでなければならない。
27:21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
28:1 またイスラエルの人々のうちから、あなたの兄弟アロンとその子たち、すなわちアロンとアロンの子ナダブ、アビウ、エレアザル、イタマルとをあなたのもとにこさせ、祭司としてわたしに仕えさせ、
28:1 And take you unto you Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.
28:2 またあなたの兄弟アロンのために聖なる衣服を作って、彼に栄えと麗しきをもたせなければならない。
28:2 And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother for glory and for beauty.
28:3 あなたはすべて心に知恵ある者、すなわち、わたしが知恵の霊を満たした者たちに語って、アロンの衣服を作らせ、アロンを聖別し、祭司としてわたしに仕えさせなければならない。
28:3 And you shall speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
28:4 彼らの作るべき衣服は次のとおりである。すなわち胸当、エポデ、衣、市松模様の服、帽子、帯である。彼らはあなたの兄弟アロンとその子たちとのために聖なる衣服を作り、祭司としてわたしに仕えさせなければならない。
28:4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a turban, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
28:5 彼らは金糸、青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸を受け取らなければならない。
28:5 And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

28:6 And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
28:7 これに二つの肩ひもを付け、その両端を、これに付けなければならない。
28:7 It shall have the two shoulder pieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
28:8 エポデの上で、これをつかねる帯は、同じきれでエポデの作りのように、金糸、青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸で作らなければならない。
28:8 And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
28:9 あなたは二つの縞めのうを取って、その上にイスラエルの子たちの名を刻まなければならない。
28:9 And you shall take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
28:10 すなわち、その名六つを一つの石に、残りの名六つを他の石に、彼らの生れた順に刻まなければならない。
28:10 Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
28:11 宝石に彫刻する人が印を彫刻するように、イスラエルの子たちの名をその二つの石に刻み、それを金の編細工にはめ、
28:11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shall you engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: you shall make them to be set in casings of gold.
28:12 この二つの石をエポデの肩ひもにつけて、イスラエルの子たちの記念の石としなければならない。こうしてアロンは主の前でその両肩に彼らの名を負うて記念としなければならない。
28:12 And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
28:13 あなたはまた金の編細工を作らなければならない。
28:13 And you shall make casings of gold;
28:14 そして二つの純金の鎖を、ひも細工にねじて作り、そのひもの鎖をかの編細工につけなければならない。
28:14 And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of interwoven work shall you make them, and fasten the interwoven chains to the casings.
28:15 あなたはまたさばきの胸当を巧みなわざをもって作り、これをエポデの作りのように作らなければならない。すなわち金糸、青糸、紫糸、緋糸、亜麻の撚糸で、これを作らなければならない。
28:15 And you shall make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod you shall make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shall you make it.
28:16 これは二つに折って四角にし、長さは一指当り、幅も一指当りとしなければならない。
28:16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
28:17 またその中に宝石を四列にはめ込まなければならない。すなわち紅玉髄、貴かんらん石、水晶の列を第一列とし、
28:17 And you shall set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a ruby, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
28:18 第二列は、ざくろ石、るり、赤縞めのう。
28:18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
28:19 第三列は黄水晶、めのう、紫水晶。
28:19 And the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst.
28:20 第四列は黄碧玉、縞めのう、碧玉であって、これらを金の編細工の中にはめ込まなければならない。
28:20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their settings.
28:21 その宝石はイスラエルの子らの名に従い、その名とひとしく十二とし、おのおの印の彫刻のように十二の部族のためにその名を刻まなければならない。
28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
28:22 またひも細工にねじた純金の鎖を胸当につけなければならない。
28:22 And you shall make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of interwoven work of pure gold.
28:23 また、胸当のために金の環二つを作り、胸当の両端にその二つの環をつけ、
28:23 And you shall make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
28:24 かの二筋の金のひもを胸当の端の二つの環につけなければならない。
28:24 And you shall put the two interwoven chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.
28:25 ただし、その二筋のひもの他の両端をかの二つの編細工につけ、エポデの肩ひもにつけて、前にくるようにしなければならない。
28:25 And the other two ends of the two interwoven chains you shall fasten in the two casings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod before it.
28:26 あなたはまた二つの金の環を作って、これを胸当の両端につけなければならない。すなわちエポデに接する内側の縁にこれをつけなければならない。
28:26 And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
28:27 また二つの金の環を作って、これをエポデの二つの肩ひもの下の部分につけ、前の方で、そのつなぎ目に近く、エポデの帯の上の方にあるようにしなければならない。
28:27 And two other rings of gold you shall make, and shall put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the front part thereof, opposite to the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28:28 胸当は青ひもをもって、その環をエポデの環に結びつけ、エポデの帯の上の方にあるようにしなければならない。こうして胸当がエポデから離れないようにしなければならない。
28:28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
28:29 アロンが聖所にはいる時は、さばきの胸当にあるイスラエルの子たちの名をその胸に置き、主の前に常に覚えとしなければならない。
28:29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
28:30 あなたはさばきの胸当にウリムとトンミムを入れて、アロンが主の前にいたる時、その胸の上にあるようにしなければならない。こうしてアロンは主の前に常にイスラエルの子たちのさばきを、その胸に置かなければならない。
28:30 And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goes in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
28:31 あなたはまた、エポデに属する上服をすべて青地で作らなければならない。
28:31 And you shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
28:32 頭を通す口を、そのまん中に設け、その口の周囲には、よろいのえりのように織物の縁をつけて、ほころびないようにし、
28:32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an armour of jacket, that it be not rent.
28:33 そのすそには青糸、紫糸、緋糸で、ざくろを作り、そのすその周囲につけ、また周囲に金の鈴をざくろの間々につけなければならない。
28:33 And beneath upon the hem of it you shall make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
28:34 すなわち金の鈴にざくろ、また金の鈴にざくろと、上服のすその周囲につけなければならない。
28:34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.
28:35 アロンは務の時、これを着なければならない。彼が聖所にはいって主の前にいたる時、また出る時、その音が聞えて、彼は死を免れるであろう。
28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goes in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he comes out, that he die not.

28:36 And you shall make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

28:37 And you shall put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the turban; upon the forefront of the turban it shall be.
28:38 これはアロンの額にあり、そしてアロンはイスラエルの人々がささげる聖なる物、すなわち彼らのもろもろの聖なる供え物についての罪の責めを負うであろう。これは主の前にそれらの受けいれられるため、常にアロンの額になければならない。
28:38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
28:39 あなたは亜麻糸で市松模様に下服を織り、亜麻布で、ずきんを作り、また、帯を色とりどりに織って作らなければならない。
28:39 And you shall embroider the coat of fine linen, and you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the girdle of needlework.
28:40 あなたはまたアロンの子たちのために下服を作り、彼らのために帯を作り、彼らのために、ずきんを作って、彼らに栄えと麗しきをもたせなければならない。
28:40 And for Aaron's sons you shall make coats, and you shall make for them girdles, and bonnets shall you make for them, for glory and for beauty.
28:41 そしてあなたはこれをあなたの兄弟アロンおよび彼と共にいるその子たちに着せ、彼らに油を注ぎ、彼らを職に任じ、彼らを聖別し、祭司として、わたしに仕えさせなければならない。
28:41 And you shall put them upon Aaron your brother, and his sons with him; and shall anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
28:42 また、彼らのために、その隠し所をおおう亜麻布のしたばきを作り、腰からももに届くようにしなければならない。
28:42 And you shall make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
28:43 アロンとその子たちは会見の幕屋にはいる時、あるいは聖所で務をするために祭壇に近づく時に、これを着なければならない。そうすれば、彼らは罪を得て死ぬことはないであろう。これは彼と彼の後の子孫とのための永久の定めでなければならない。
28:43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
