15:1 モアブについての託宣。アルは一夜のうちに荒されて、モアブは滅びうせ、キルは一夜のうちに荒されて、モアブは滅びうせた。
15:1 The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;
15:2 デボンの娘は高き所にのぼって泣き、モアブはネボとメデバの上で嘆き叫ぶ。おのおのその頭をかぶろにし、そのひげをことごとくそった。
15:2 He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall wail over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.
15:3 彼らはそのちまたで荒布をまとい、その屋根または広場で、みな泣き叫び、涙に浸る。
15:3 In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall wail, weeping abundantly.
15:4 ヘシボンとエレアレとは叫び、その声はヤハズまで聞える。それゆえ、モアブの兵士は声をあげ、その魂はおののく。
15:4 And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.
15:5 わが心はモアブのために叫び呼ばわる。その落人はゾアルおよび／エグラテ・シリシヤにのがれ、泣きながらルヒテの坂をのぼり、ホロナイムの道で滅びの叫びをあげる。
15:5 My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.
15:6 ニムリムの水はかわき、草は枯れ、苗は消えて、青い物はない。
15:6 For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass fails, there is no green thing.
15:7 それゆえ、彼らはその得た富と、そのたくわえた物とを携えて、柳の川をわたる。
15:7 Therefore the abundance they have got, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
15:8 その叫びの声はモアブの境をめぐり、その嘆きの声はエグライムにいたり、またその嘆きの声はベエル・エリムにいたる。
15:8 For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beerelim.
15:9 デボンの水は血で満ちる。わたしはデボンの上にさらに災を加え、モアブののがれた者と／この地の残った者とに、ししを送る。
15:9 For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapes of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
16:1 彼らはセラから荒野の道によって／小羊をシオンの娘の山に送り、国のつかさに納めた。
16:1 Send all of you the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
16:2 モアブの娘らはアルノンの渡しで、さまよう鳥のように、巣を追われたひなのようである。
16:2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
16:3 「相はかって、事を定めよ。真昼の中でも、あなたの陰を夜のようにし、さすらい人を隠し、のがれて来た者をわたさず、
16:3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; betray not him that wanders.
16:4 モアブのさすらい人を、あなたのうちにやどらせ、彼らの避け所となって、滅ぼす者からのがれさせよ。しえたげる者がなくなり、滅ぼす者が絶え、踏みにじる者が地から断たれたとき、
16:4 Let mine outcasts dwell with you, Moab; be you a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortionist is at an end, the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
16:5 一つの玉座がいつくしみによって堅く立てられ、ダビデの幕屋にあって、さばきをなし、公平を求め、正義を行うに、すみやかなる者が／真実をもってその上に座する」。
16:5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
16:6 われわれはモアブの高ぶりのことを聞いた、その高ぶることは、はなはだしい。われわれはその誇と、高ぶりと、そのおごりとのことを聞いた、その自慢は偽りである。
16:6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
16:7 それゆえ、モアブは泣き叫べ、民はみなモアブのために泣き叫べ。全く撃ちのめされて、キルハレセテの干ぶどうのために嘆け。
16:7 Therefore shall Moab wail for Moab, every one shall wail: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall all of you mourn; surely they are stricken.
16:8 ヘシボンの畑と、シブマのぶどうの木とは、しぼみ衰えた。国々のもろもろの主が、その枝を打ち落したからである。その枝はさきにはヤゼルまでいたり、荒野にまではびこり、そのつるは広がって海を越えた。
16:8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
16:9 それゆえ、わたしはヤゼルと共に、シブマのぶどうの木のために泣く。ヘシボンよ、エレアレよ、わたしは涙をもってあなたを浸す。ときの声が、あなたの果実と、あなたの収穫の上にふりかかってきたからである。
16:9 Therefore I will mourn for with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water you with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for your summer fruits and for your harvest is fallen.
16:10 喜びと楽しみとは土肥えた畑から取り去られ、ぶどう畑には歌うことなく、喜び呼ばわることなく、酒ぶねを踏んで酒を絞る者なく、ぶどうの収穫を喜ぶ声はやんだ。
16:10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
16:11 それゆえ、わが魂はモアブのために、わが心はキルハレスのために、琴のように鳴りひびく。
16:11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.
16:12 モアブが高き所に出て、おのれを疲れさせ、またその聖所にきて祈っても、効果はない。
16:12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
16:13 これは主がさきにモアブについて語られたみ言葉である。
16:13 This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning Moab since that time.
16:14 しかし今、主は語って言われる、「モアブの栄えはその大いなる群衆にもかかわらず、雇人の年期とひとしく三年のうちに、はずかしめを受け、残れる者はまことに少なく、力がない」。
16:14 But now the LORD has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a worker, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
17:1 ダマスコについての託宣。見よ、ダマスコは町の姿を失って、荒塚となる。
17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
17:2 その町々はとこしえに捨てられ、家畜の群れの住む所となって、伏しやすむが、これを脅かす者はない。
17:2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
17:3 エフライムのとりではすたり、ダマスコの主権はやみ、スリヤの残れる者は、イスラエルの子らの／栄光のように消えうせると／万軍の主は言われる。
17:3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of hosts.
17:4 その日、ヤコブの栄えは衰え、その肥えたる肉はやせ、
17:4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
17:5 あたかも刈入れ人がまだ刈らない麦を集め、かいなをもって穂を刈り取ったあとのように、レパイムの谷で穂を拾い集めたあとのようになる。
17:5 And it shall be as when the harvestman gathers the corn, and reaps the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathers ears in the valley of Rephaim.
17:6 オリブの木を打つとき、二つ三つの実をこずえに残し、あるいは四つ五つを／みのり多き木の枝に残すように、とり残されるものがあると／イスラエルの神、主は言われる。
17:6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the utmost fruitful branches thereof, says the LORD God of Israel.
17:7 その日、人々はその造り主を仰ぎのぞみ、イスラエルの聖者に目をとめ、
17:7 At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
17:8 おのれの手のわざである祭壇を仰ぎのぞまず、おのれの指が造ったアシラ像と香の祭壇とに目をとめない。
17:8 And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
17:9 その日、彼らの堅固な町々は昔イスラエルの子らのゆえに捨て去られたヒビびとおよびアモリびとの荒れ跡のように荒れ地になる。
17:9 In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
17:10 これはあなたがたが自分の救の神を忘れ、自分の避け所なる岩を心にとめなかったからだ。それゆえ、あなたがたは美しい植物を植え、異なる神の切り枝をさし、
17:10 Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore shall you plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with strange slips:
17:11 その植えた日にこれを成長させ、そのまいた朝にこれを花咲かせても、その収穫は悲しみと、いやしがたい苦しみの日に／とび去る。
17:11 In the day shall you make your plant to grow, and in the morning shall you make your seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
17:12 ああ、多くの民はなりどよめく、海のなりどよめくように、彼らはなりどよめく。ああ、もろもろの国はなりとどろく、大水のなりとどろくように、彼らはなりとどろく。
17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
17:13 もろもろの国は多くの水の／なりとどろくように、なりとどろく。しかし、神は彼らを懲らしめられる。彼らは遠くのがれて、風に吹き去られる山の上のもみがらのように、また暴風にうず巻くちりのように追いやられる。
17:13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
17:14 夕暮には、見よ、恐れがある。まだ夜の明けないうちに彼らはうせた。これはわれわれをかすめる者の受くべき分、われわれを奪う者の引くべきくじである。
17:14 And behold at evening-time trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
18:1 ああ、エチオピヤの川々のかなたなる／ぶんぶんと羽音のする国、
18:1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
18:2 この国は葦の船を水にうかべ、ナイル川によって使者をつかわす。とく走る使者よ、行け。川々の分れる国の、たけ高く、膚のなめらかな民、遠近に恐れられる民、力強く、戦いに勝つ民へ行け。
18:2 That sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, all of you swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning until now; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
18:3 すべて世におるもの、地に住むものよ、山の上に旗の立つときは見よ、ラッパの鳴りひびくときは聞け。
18:3 All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see all of you, when he lifts up an explicit sign on the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, hear all of you.
18:4 主はわたしにこう言われた、「晴れわたった日光の熱のように、刈入れの熱むして露の多い雲のように、わたしは静かにわたしのすまいから、ながめよう」。
18:4 For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
18:5 刈入れの前、花は過ぎて／その花がぶどうとなって熟すとき、彼はかまをもって、つるを刈り、枝を切り去る。
18:5 For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
18:6 彼らはみな山の猛禽と、地の獣とに捨て置かれる。猛禽はその上で夏を過ごし、地の獣はみなその上で冬を過ごす。
18:6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
18:7 その時、川々の分れる国の／たけ高く、膚のなめらかな民、遠くの者にも近くの者にも恐れられる民、力強く、戦いに勝つ民から／万軍の主にささげる贈り物を携えて、万軍の主のみ名のある所、シオンの山に来る。
18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning until now; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
19:1 エジプトについての託宣。見よ、主は速い雲に乗って、エジプトに来られる。エジプトのもろもろの偶像は、み前に震えおののき、エジプトびとの心は彼らのうちに溶け去る。
19:1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
19:2 わたしはエジプトびとを奮いたたせて、エジプトびとに逆らわせる。彼らはおのおのその兄弟に敵して戦い、おのおのその隣に敵し、町は町を攻め、国は国を攻める。
19:2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
19:3 エジプトびとの魂は、彼らのうちにうせて、むなしくなる。わたしはその計りごとを破る。彼らは偶像および魔術師、巫子および魔法使に尋ね求める。
19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
19:4 わたしはエジプトびとをきびしい主人の手に渡す、荒々しい王が彼らを治めると、主、万軍の主は言われる。
19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, says the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
19:5 ナイルの水はつき、川はかれてかわく。
19:5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
19:6 またその運河は臭いにおいを放ち、エジプトのナイルの支流はややに減ってかわき、葦とよしとは枯れはてる。
19:6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
19:7 ナイルのほとり、ナイルの岸には裸の所があり、ナイルのほとりにまいた物はことごとく枯れ、散らされて、うせ去る。
19:7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
19:8 漁夫は嘆き、すべてナイルにつりをたれる者は悲しみ、網を水のおもてにうつ者は衰える。
19:8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
19:9 練った麻で物を造る者と、白布を織る者は恥じる。
19:9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
19:10 国の柱たる者は砕かれ、すべて雇われて働く者は嘆き悲しむ。
19:10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
19:11 ゾアンの君たちは全く愚かであり、パロの賢い議官らは愚かな計りごとをなす。あなたがたはどうしてパロにむかって／「わたしは賢い者の子、いにしえの王の子です」と／言うことができようか。
19:11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say all of you unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
19:12 あなたの賢い者はどこにおるか。彼らをして、万軍の主がエジプトについて定められたことを／あなたに告げ知らしめよ。
19:12 Where are they? where are your wise men? and let them tell you now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts has purposed upon Egypt.
19:13 ゾアンの君たちは愚かとなり、メンピスの君たちは欺かれ、エジプトのもろもろの部族の隅の石たる彼らは、かえってエジプトを迷わせた。
19:13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
19:14 主は曲った心を彼らのうちに混ぜられた。彼らはエジプトをして、すべてその行うことに迷わせ、あたかも酔った人の物吐くときに／よろめくようにさせた。
19:14 The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
19:15 エジプトに対しては、頭あるいは尾、しゅろの枝あるいは葦が／共になしうるわざはない。
19:15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
19:16 その日、エジプトびとは女のようになり、万軍の主の彼らの上に振り動かされるみ手の前に恐れおののく。
19:16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shakes over it.
19:17 ユダの地は、エジプトびとに恐れられ、ユダについて語り告げることを聞くエジプトびとはみな、万軍の主がエジプトびとにむかって定められた計りごとのゆえに恐れる。
19:17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that makes mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he has determined against it.
19:18 その日、エジプトの地にカナンの国ことばを語り、また万軍の主に誓いを立てる五つの町があり、その中の一つは太陽の町ととなえられる。
19:18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
19:19 その日、エジプトの国の中に主をまつる一つの祭壇があり、その境に主をまつる一つの柱がある。
19:19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
19:20 これはエジプトの国で万軍の主に、しるしとなり、あかしとなる。彼らがしえたげる者のゆえに、主に叫び求めるとき、主は救う者をつかわして、彼らを守り助けられる。
19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
19:21 主はご自分をエジプトびとに知らせられる。その日、エジプトびとは主を知り、犠牲と供え物とをもって主に仕え、主に誓願をたててこれを果す。
19:21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
19:22 主はエジプトを撃たれる。主はこれを撃たれるが、またいやされる。それゆえ彼らは主に帰る。主は彼らの願いをいれて、彼らをいやされる。
19:22 And the LORD shall strike Egypt: he shall strike and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be implored of them, and shall heal them.
19:23 その日、エジプトからアッスリヤに通う大路があって、アッスリヤびとはエジプトに、エジプトびとはアッスリヤに行き、エジプトびとはアッスリヤびとと共に主に仕える。
19:23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
19:24 その日、イスラエルはエジプトとアッスリヤと共に三つ相並び、全地のうちで祝福をうけるものとなる。
19:24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
19:25 万軍の主は、これを祝福して言われる、「さいわいなるかな、わが民なるエジプト、わが手のわざなるアッスリヤ、わが嗣業なるイスラエル」と。
19:25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
20:1 アッスリヤの王サルゴンからつかわされた最高司令官がアシドドに来て、これを攻め、これを取った年、――
20:1 In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;
20:2 その時に主はアモツの子イザヤによって語って言われた、「さあ、あなたの腰から荒布を解き、足からくつを脱ぎなさい」。そこでイザヤはそのようにし、裸、はだしで歩いた。――
20:2 At the same time spoke the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off your loins, and put off your shoe from your foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
20:3 主は言われた、「わがしもべイザヤは三年の間、裸、はだしで歩き、エジプトとエチオピヤに対するしるしとなり、前ぶれとなったが、
20:3 And the LORD said, Like my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
20:4 このようにエジプトびとのとりことエチオピヤびとの捕われ人とは、アッスリヤの王に引き行かれて、その若い者も老いた者もみな裸、はだしで、しりをあらわし、エジプトの恥を示す。
20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
20:5 彼らはその頼みとしたエチオピヤのゆえに、その誇としたエジプトのゆえに恐れ、かつ恥じる。
20:5 And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
20:6 その日には、この海べに住む民は言う、『見よ、われわれが頼みとした国、すなわちわれわれがのがれて行って助けを求め、アッスリヤ王から救い出されようとした国はすでにこのとおりである。われわれはどうしてのがれることができようか』と。」
20:6 And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, where we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
21:1 海の荒野についての託宣。つむじ風がネゲブを吹き過ぎるように、荒野から、恐るべき地から、来るものがある。
21:1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it comes from the desert, from a terrible land.
21:2 わたしは一つのきびしい幻を示された。かすめ奪う者はかすめ奪い、滅ぼす者は滅ぼす。エラムよ、のぼれ、メデアよ、囲め。わたしはすべての嘆きをやめさせる。
21:2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the spoiler spoils. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
21:3 それゆえ、わが腰は激しい痛みに満たされ、出産に臨む女の苦しみのような苦しみが／わたしを捕えた。わたしは、かがんで聞くことができず、恐れおののいて見ることができない。
21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that labors: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
21:4 わが心はみだれ惑い、わななき恐れること、はなはだしく、わたしのあこがれたたそがれは／変っておののきとなった。
21:4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure has he turned into fear unto me.
21:5 彼らは食卓を設け、じゅうたんを敷いて食い飲みする。もろもろの君よ、立って、盾に油をぬれ。
21:5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, all of you princes, and anoint the shield.
21:6 主はわたしにこう言われた、「行って、見張りびとをおき、その見るところを告げさせよ。
21:6 For thus has the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees.
21:7 馬に乗って二列に並んだ者と、ろばに乗った者と、らくだに乗った者とを彼が見るならば、耳を傾けてつまびらかに聞かせよ」。
21:7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
21:8 その時、見張びとは呼ばわって言った、「主よ、わたしがひねもすやぐらに立ち、夜もすがらわが見張所に立っていると、
21:8 And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
21:9 見よ、馬に乗って二列に並んだ者がここに来ます」。彼は答えて言った、「倒れた、バビロンは倒れた、その神々の像はことごとく打ち砕かれて／地に伏した」。
21:9 And, behold, here comes a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he has broken unto the ground.
21:10 ああ、踏みにじられたわが民、わが打ち場の子よ、イスラエルの神、万軍の主から／わたしが聞いたところのものを／あなたがたに告げる。
21:10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
21:11 ドマについての託宣。セイルからわたしに呼ばわる者がある、「夜回りよ、今は夜のなんどきですか、夜回りよ、今は夜のなんどきですか」。
21:11 The burden of Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
21:12 夜回りは言う、「朝がきます、夜もまたきます。もしあなたがたが聞こうと思うならば聞きなさい、また来なさい」。
21:12 The watchman said, The morning comes, and also the night: if all of you will enquire, enquire all of you: return, come.
21:13 アラビヤについての託宣。デダンびとの隊商よ、あなたがたはアラビヤの林にやどる。
21:13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall all of you lodge, O all of you travelling companies of Dedanim.
21:14 テマの地に住む民よ、水を携えて、かわいた者を迎え、パンをもって、逃げのがれた者を迎えよ。
21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
21:15 彼らはつるぎを避け、抜いたつるぎを避け、張った弓を避け、また激しい戦いを避けて、逃げてきたからである。
21:15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
21:16 主はわたしにこう言われた、「雇人の年期のように一年以内にケダルのすべての栄華はつきはてる。
21:16 For thus has the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a worker, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
21:17 ケダルの子らの勇士で、射手の残る者は少ない」。これはイスラエルの神、主が語られたのである。
21:17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel has spoken it.
22:1 幻の谷についての託宣。あなたがたはなぜ、みな屋根にのぼったのか。
22:1 The burden of the valley of vision. What disturbs you now, that you are wholly gone up to the housetops?
22:2 叫び声で満ちている者、騒がしい都、喜びに酔っている町よ。あなたのうちの殺された者は／つるぎで殺されたのではなく、また戦いに倒れたのでもない。
22:2 You that are full of stirs, a tumultuous city, joyous city: your slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
22:3 あなたのつかさたちは皆共にのがれて行ったが、弓を捨てて捕えられた。彼らは遠く逃げて行ったが、あなたのうちの見つかった者はみな捕えられた。
22:3 All your rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in you are bound together, which have fled from far.
22:4 それゆえ、わたしは言った、「わたしを顧みてくれるな、わたしはいたく泣き悲しむ。わが民の娘の滅びのために、わたしを慰めようと努めてはならない」。
22:4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.
22:5 万軍の神、主は幻の谷に／騒ぎと、踏みにじりと、混乱の日をこさせられる。城壁はくずれ落ち、叫び声は山に聞える。
22:5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
22:6 エラムは箙を負い、戦車と騎兵とをもってきたり、キルは盾をあらわした。
22:6 And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
22:7 あなたの最も美しい谷は戦車で満ち、騎兵はもろもろの門にむかって立った。
22:7 And it shall come to pass, that your best valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
22:8 ユダを守るおおいは取り除かれた。その日あなたは林の家の武具を仰ぎ望んだ。
22:8 And he discovered the covering of Judah, and you did look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.
22:9 またあなたがたはダビデの町の破れの多いのを見、下の池の水を集め、
22:9 All of you have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and all of you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
22:10 エルサレムの家を数え、またその家をこわして城壁を築き、
22:10 And all of you have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have all of you broken down to fortify the wall.
22:11 一つの貯水池を二つの城壁の間に造って古池の水をひいた。しかしあなたがたはこの事をなされた者を仰ぎ望まず、この事を昔から計画された者を顧みなかった。
22:11 All of you made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but all of you have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.
22:12 その日、万軍の神、主は／泣き悲しみ、頭をかぶろにし、荒布をまとうことを命じられたが、
22:12 And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:
22:13 見よ、あなたがたは喜び楽しみ、牛をほふり、羊を殺し、肉を食い、酒を飲んで言う、「われわれは食い、かつ飲もう、明日は死ぬのだから」。
22:13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; in order to morrow we shall die.
22:14 万軍の主はみずからわたしの耳に示された、「まことに、この不義はあなたがたが死ぬまで、ゆるされることはない」と／万軍の神、主は言われる。
22:14 And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till all of you die, says the Lord GOD of hosts.
22:15 万軍の神、主はこう言われる、「さあ、王の家をつかさどるこの執事セブナに行って言いなさい、
22:15 Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get you unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house, and say,
22:16 『あなたはここになんの係わりがありますか。あなたはだれの縁故でここに自分のために墓を掘ったのですか。あなたは高い所に墓を掘り、岩をうがって自分のためにすみかを造った。
22:16 What have you here? and whom have you here, that you have hewed you out a tomb here, as he that hews him out a tomb on high, and that graves an habitation for himself in a rock?
22:17 強い人よ、見よ、主はあなたを激しくなげ倒される。主はあなたを堅くつかまえ、
22:17 Behold, the LORD will carry you away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover you.
22:18 ぐるぐるまわして、まりのように広々した地に投げられる。主人の家の恥となる者よ、あなたはそこで死に、あなたの華麗な車はそこに残る。
22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss you like a ball into a large country: there shall you die, and there the chariots of your glory shall be the shame of your lord's house.
22:19 わたしは、あなたをその職から追い、その地位から引きおろす。
22:19 And I will drive you from your station, and from your state shall he pull you down.
22:20 その日、わたしは、わがしもべヒルキヤの子エリアキムを呼んで、
22:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:
22:21 あなたの衣を着せ、あなたの帯をしめさせ、あなたの権力を彼の手にゆだねる。彼はエルサレムの民とユダの家との父となる。
22:21 And I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your girdle, and I will commit your government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22:22 わたしはまたダビデの家のかぎを彼の肩に置く。彼が開けば閉じる者なく、彼が閉じれば開く者はない。
22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
22:23 わたしは彼を堅い所に打ったくぎのようにする。そして彼はその父の家の誉の座となり、
22:23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
22:24 その父の家のすべての重さは彼の上にかかる。すなわちその子、その孫およびすべての小さい器、鉢からすべてのびんにいたるまでみな、彼の上にかかる』」。
22:24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
22:25 万軍の主は言われる、「その日、堅い所に打ったくぎは抜け、切られて落ちる。その上にかかっている荷もまた取り去られる」と主は語られた。
22:25 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD has spoken it.
23:1 ツロについての託宣。タルシシのもろもろの船よ、泣き叫べ、ツロは荒れすたれて、家なく、船泊まりする港もないからだ。この事はクプロの地から彼らに告げ知らせられる。
23:1 The burden of Tyre. Wail, all of you ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
23:2 海べに住む民よ、シドンの商人よ、もだせ、あなたがたの使者は海を渡り、大いなる水の上にあった。
23:2 Be still, all of you inhabitants of the isle; you whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
23:3 ツロの収入はシホルの穀物、ナイル川の収穫であった。ツロはもろもろの国びとの商人であった。
23:3 And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a merchant of nations.
23:4 シドンよ、恥じよ、海は言った、海の城は言う、「わたしは苦しまず、また産まなかった。わたしは若い男子を養わず、また処女を育てなかった」。
23:4 Be you ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea has spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.
23:5 この報道がエジプトに達するとき、彼らはツロについての報道によって、いたく苦しむ。
23:5 As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
23:6 タルシシに渡れ、海べに住む民よ、泣き叫べ。
23:6 Pass all of you over to Tarshish; wail, all of you inhabitants of the isle.
23:7 これがその起源も古い町、自分の足で移り、遠くにまで移住した町、あなたがたの喜び誇る町なのか。
23:7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her far off to sojourn.
23:8 ツロにむかってこれを定めたのはだれか。ツロは冠を授けた町、その商人は君たち、その貿易業者は地の尊い人々であった。
23:8 Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?
23:9 万軍の主はすべての栄光の誇を汚し、地のすべての尊い者をはずかしめるために／これを定められたのだ。
23:9 The LORD of hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
23:10 タルシシの娘よ、ナイル川のようにおのが地にあふれよ。もはや束縛するものはない。
23:10 Pass through your land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
23:11 主はその手を海の上に伸べて／国々を震い動かされた。主はカナンについて詔を出し、そのとりでをこわされた。
23:11 He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD has given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.
23:12 主は言われた、「しえたげられた処女シドンの娘よ、あなたはもはや喜ぶことはない。立って、クプロに渡れ、そこでもあなたは安息を得ることはない」。
23:12 And he said, You shall no more rejoice, O you oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shall you have no rest.
23:13 カルデヤびとの国を見よ、アッスリヤではなく、この民がツロを野の獣のすみかに定めた。彼らはやぐらを建て、もろもろの宮殿をこわして荒塚とした。
23:13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
23:14 タルシシのもろもろの船よ、泣き叫べ、あなたがたのとりでは荒れすたれたから。
23:14 Wail, all of you ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.
23:15 その日、ツロはひとりの王のながらえる日と同じく七十年の間忘れられ、七十年終って後、ツロは遊女の歌のようになる、
23:15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
23:16 「忘れられた遊女よ、琴を執って町を経めぐり、巧みに弾じ、多くの歌をうたって、人に思い出されよ」。
23:16 Take an harp, go about the city, you harlot that have been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that you may be remembered.
23:17 七十年終って後、主はツロを顧みられる。ツロは再び淫行の価を得て、地のおもてにある世のすべての国々と姦淫を行い、
23:17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
23:18 その商品とその価とは主にささげられる。これはたくわえられることなく、積まれることなく、その商品は主の前に住む者のために豊かな食物となり、みごとな衣服となる。
23:18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
24:1 見よ、主はこの地をむなしくし、これを荒れすたれさせ、これをくつがえして、その民を散らされる。
24:1 Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants thereof.
24:2 そして、その民も祭司もひとしく、しもべも主人もひとしく、はしためも主婦もひとしく、買う者も売る者もひとしく、貸す者も借りる者もひとしく、債権者も債務者もひとしく、この事にあう。
24:2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.
24:3 地は全くむなしくされ、全くかすめられる。主がこの言葉を告げられたからである。
24:3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD has spoken this word.
24:4 地は悲しみ、衰え、世はしおれ、衰え、天も地と共にしおれはてる。
24:4 The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
24:5 地はその住む民の下に汚された。これは彼らが律法にそむき、定めを犯し、とこしえの契約を破ったからだ。
24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
24:6 それゆえ、のろいは地をのみつくし、そこに住む者はその罪に苦しみ、また地の民は焼かれて、わずかの者が残される。
24:6 Therefore has the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
24:7 新しいぶどう酒は悲しみ、ぶどうはしおれ、心の楽しい者もみな嘆く。
24:7 The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry hearted do sigh.
24:8 鼓の音は静まり、喜ぶ者の騒ぎはやみ、琴の音もまた静まった。
24:8 The delight of timbrels ceases, the noise of them that rejoice ends, the joy of the harp ceases.
24:9 彼らはもはや歌をうたって酒を飲まず、濃き酒はこれを飲む者に苦くなる。
24:9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
24:10 混乱せる町は破られ、すべての家は閉ざされて、はいることができない。
24:10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
24:11 ちまたには酒の不足のために叫ぶ声があり、すべての喜びは暗くなり、地の楽しみは追いやられた。
24:11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the delight of the land is gone.
24:12 町には荒れすたれた所のみ残り、その門もこわされて破れた。
24:12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
24:13 地のうちで、もろもろの民のなかで残るものは、オリブの木の打たれた後の実のように、ぶどうの収穫の終った後にその採り残りを／集めるときのようになる。
24:13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
24:14 彼らは声をあげて喜び歌う。主の威光のゆえに、西から喜び呼ばわる。
24:14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
24:15 それゆえ、東で主をあがめ、海沿いの国々でイスラエルの神、主の名をあがめよ。
24:15 Wherefore glorify all of you the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.
24:16 われわれは地の果から、さんびの歌を聞いた、「栄光は正しい者にある」と。しかし、わたしは言う、「わたしはやせ衰える、わたしはやせ衰える、わたしはわざわいだ。欺く者はあざむき、欺く者は、はなはだしくあざむく」。
24:16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
24:17 地に住む者よ、恐れと、落し穴と、わなとはあなたの上にある。
24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.
24:18 恐れの声をのがれる者は落し穴に陥り、落し穴から出る者はわなに捕えられる。天の窓は開け、地の基が震い動くからである。
24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
24:19 地は全く砕け、地は裂け、地は激しく震い、
24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
24:20 地は酔いどれのようによろめき、仮小屋のようにゆり動く。そのとがはその上に重く、ついに倒れて再び起きあがることはない。
24:20 The earth shall reel back and forth like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
24:21 その日、主は天において、天の軍勢を罰し、地の上で、地のもろもろの王を罰せられる。
24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
24:22 彼らは囚人が土ろうの中に／集められるように集められて、獄屋の中に閉ざされ、多くの日を経て後、罰せられる。
24:22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
25:1 主よ、あなたはわが神、わたしはあなたをあがめ、み名をほめたたえる。あなたはさきに驚くべきみわざを行い、いにしえから定めた計画を／真実をもって行われたから。
25:1 O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
25:2 あなたは町を石塚とし、堅固な町を荒塚とされた。外国人のやかたは、もはや町ではなく、とこしえに建てられることはない。
25:2 For you have made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
25:3 それゆえ、強い民はあなたを尊び、あらぶる国々の町はあなたを恐れる。
25:3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify you, the city of the terrible nations shall fear you.
25:4 あなたは貧しい者のとりでとなり、乏しい者の悩みのときのとりでとなり、あらしをさける避け所となり、熱さをさける陰となられた。あらぶる者の及ぼす害は、石がきを打つあらしのごとく、
25:4 For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
25:5 かわいた地の熱さのようだからである。あなたは外国人の騒ぎをおさえ、雲が陰をもって熱をとどめるように／あらぶる者の歌をとどめられる。
25:5 You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
25:6 万軍の主はこの山で、すべての民のために肥えたものをもって祝宴を設け、久しくたくわえたぶどう酒をもって祝宴を設けられる。すなわち髄の多い肥えたものと、よく澄んだ長くたくわえたぶどう酒をもって祝宴を設けられる。
25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the sediments of wine, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the sediments of wine well refined.
25:7 また主はこの山で、すべての民のかぶっている顔おおいと、すべての国のおおっているおおい物とを破られる。
25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
25:8 主はとこしえに死を滅ぼし、主なる神はすべての顔から涙をぬぐい、その民のはずかしめを全地の上から除かれる。これは主の語られたことである。
25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.
25:9 その日、人は言う、「見よ、これはわれわれの神である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。彼はわたしたちを救われる。これは主である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。わたしたちはその救を喜び楽しもう」と。
25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
25:10 主の手はこの山にとどまり、モアブは肥だめの中に踏まれるわらのように、おのれの所で踏みにじられる。
25:10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
25:11 彼はその中で泳ぐ物が泳ごうとして手を伸ばすように、その手を伸ばす。しかし主はその高ぶりを、その手の巧みなわざと共に低くされる。
25:11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swins spreads forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
25:12 その石がきの高い城郭を主は傾け倒し、地に投げうって、ちりにかえされる。
25:12 And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
26:1 その日ユダの国で、この歌をうたう、「われわれは堅固な町をもつ。主は救をその石がきとし、またとりでとされる。
26:1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
26:2 門を開いて、信仰を守る正しい国民を入れよ。
26:2 Open all of you the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
26:3 あなたは全き平安をもって／こころざしの堅固なものを守られる。彼はあなたに信頼しているからである。
26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.
26:4 とこしえに主に信頼せよ、主なる神はとこしえの岩だからである。
26:4 Trust all of you in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
26:5 主は高き所、そびえたつ町に住む者をひきおろし、これを伏させ、これを地に伏させて、ちりにかえされる。
26:5 For he brings down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he lays it low; he lays it low, even to the ground; he brings it even to the dust.
26:6 こうして足で踏まれ、貧しい者の足で踏まれ、乏しい者はその上を歩む」。
26:6 The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.
26:7 正しい者の道は平らである。あなたは正しい者の道をなめらかにされる。
26:7 The way of the just is uprightness: you, most upright, do weigh the path of the just.
26:8 主よ、あなたがさばきをなさる道で、われわれはあなたを待ち望む。われわれの魂の慕うものは、あなたの記念の名である。
26:8 Yea, in the way of your judgments, O LORD, have we waited for you; the desire of our soul is to your name, and to the remembrance of you.
26:9 わが魂は夜あなたを慕い、わがうちなる霊は、せつにあなたを求める。あなたのさばきが地に行われるとき、世に住む者は正義を学ぶからである。
26:9 With my soul have I desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
26:10 悪しき者は恵まれても、なお正義を学ばず、正しい地にあっても不義を行い、主の威光を仰ぐことをしない。
26:10 Let favour be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
26:11 主よ、あなたのみ手が高くあがるけれども、彼らはそれを顧みない。どうか、あなたの、おのが民を救われる熱心を／彼らに見させて、大いに恥じさせ、火をもってあなたの敵を焼き滅ぼしてください。
26:11 LORD, when your hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of yours enemies shall devour them.
26:12 主よ、あなたはわれわれのために／平和を設けられる。あなたはわれわれのために／われわれのすべてのわざをなし遂げられた。
26:12 LORD, you will ordain peace for us: for you also have wrought all our works in us.
26:13 われわれの神、主よ、あなた以外のもろもろの主がわれわれを治めた。しかし、われわれはただ、あなたの名のみをあがめる。
26:13 O LORD our God, other lords beside you have had dominion over us: but by you only will we make mention of your name.
26:14 死んだ者はまた生きない。亡霊は生き返らない。それで、あなたは彼らを罰して滅ぼし、彼らの思い出をことごとく消し去られた。
26:14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore have you visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
26:15 主よ、あなたはこの国民を増し加えられた。あなたはこの国民を増し加えられた。あなたは栄光をあらわされた。あなたは地の境を四方に広げられた。
26:15 You have increased the nation, O LORD, you have increased the nation: you are glorified: you had removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
26:16 主よ、彼らは悩みのとき、あなたに求めた。彼らがあなたの懲らしめにあったとき、祈をささげた。
26:16 LORD, in trouble have they visited you, they poured out a prayer when your chastening was upon them.
26:17 主よ、はらめる女の産むときが近づいて苦しみ、その痛みによって叫ぶように、われわれはあなたのゆえに、そのようであった。
26:17 Like a woman with child, that draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and cries out in her pangs; so have we been in your sight, O LORD.
26:18 われわれは、はらみ、苦しんだ。しかしわれわれの産んだものは風にすぎなかった。われわれは救を地に施すこともせず、また世に住む者を滅ぼすこともしなかった。
26:18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
26:19 あなたの死者は生き、彼らのなきがらは起きる。ちりに伏す者よ、さめて喜びうたえ。あなたの露は光の露であって、それを亡霊の国の上に降らされるからである。
26:19 Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, all of you that dwell in dust: for your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
26:20 さあ、わが民よ、あなたのへやにはいり、あなたのうしろの戸を閉じて、憤りの過ぎ去るまで、しばらく隠れよ。
26:20 Come, my people, enter you into your chambers, and shut your doors about you: hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation pass over.
26:21 見よ、主はそのおられる所を出て、地に住む者の不義を罰せられる。地はその上に流された血をあらわして、殺された者を、もはやおおうことがない。
26:21 For, behold, the LORD comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
27:1 その日、主は堅く大いなる強いつるぎで逃げるへびレビヤタン、曲りくねるへびレビヤタンを罰し、また海におる龍を殺される。
27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan (p. sea serpent) the piercing serpent, even leviathan (p. sea serpent) that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
27:2 その日／「麗しきぶどう畑よ、このことを歌え。
27:2 In that day sing all of you unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
27:3 主なるわたしはこれを守り、常に水をそそぎ、夜も昼も守って、そこなう者のないようにする。
27:3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
27:4 わたしは憤らない。いばら、おどろがわたしと戦うなら、わたしは進んでこれを攻め、皆もろともに焼きつくす。
27:4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
27:5 それを望まないなら、わたしの保護にたよって、わたしと和らぎをなせ、わたしと和らぎをなせ」。
27:5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
27:6 後になれば、ヤコブは根をはり、イスラエルは芽を出して花咲き、その実を全世界に満たす。
27:6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
27:7 主は彼らを撃った者を撃たれたように／彼らを撃たれたか。あるいは彼らを殺した者が殺されたように／彼らは殺されたか。
27:7 Has he smitten him, as he stroke those that stroke him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
27:8 あなたは彼らと争って、彼らを追放された。主は東風の日に、その激しい風をもって／彼らを移しやられた。
27:8 In measure, when it shoots forth, you will debate with it: he stays his rough wind in the day of the east wind.
27:9 それゆえ、ヤコブの不義は／これによって、あがなわれる。これによって結ぶ実は彼の罪を除く。すなわち彼が祭壇のすべての石を／砕けた白堊のようにし、アシラ像と香の祭壇とを再び建てないことである。
27:9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in two, the groves and images shall not stand up.
27:10 堅固な町は荒れてさびしく、捨て去られたすまいは荒野のようだ。子牛はそこに草を食い、そこに伏して、その木の枝を裸にする。
27:10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
27:11 その枝が枯れると、折り取られ、女が来てそれを燃やす。これは無知の民だからである。それゆえ、彼らを造られた主は／彼らをあわれまれない。彼らを形造られた主は、彼らを恵まれない。
27:11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will show them no favour.
27:12 イスラエルの人々よ、その日、主はユフラテ川からエジプトの川にいたるまで穀物の穂を打ち落される。そしてあなたがたは、ひとりびとり集められる。
27:12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and all of you shall be gathered one by one, O all of you children of Israel.
27:13 その日大いなるラッパが鳴りひびき、アッスリヤの地にある失われた者と、エジプトの地に追いやられた者とがきて、エルサレムの聖山で主を拝む。
27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
28:1 エフライムの酔いどれの誇る冠と、酒におぼれた者の肥えた谷のかしらにある／しぼみゆく花の美しい飾りは、わざわいだ。
28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
28:2 見よ、主はひとりの力ある強い者を持っておられる。これはひょうをまじえた暴風のように、破り、そこなう暴風雨のように、大水のあふれみなぎる暴風のように、それを激しく地に投げうつ。
28:2 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
28:3 エフライムの酔いどれの誇る冠は／足で踏みにじられる。
28:3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
28:4 肥えた谷のかしらにある／しぼみゆく花の美しい飾りは、夏前に熟した初なりのいちじくのようだ。人がこれを見ると、取るやいなや、食べてしまう。
28:4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.
28:5 その日、万軍の主はその民の残った者のために、栄えの冠となり、麗しい冠となられる。
28:5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
28:6 また、さばきの席に座する者にはさばきの霊となり、戦いを門まで追い返す者には力となられる。
28:6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
28:7 しかし、これらもまた酒のゆえによろめき、濃き酒のゆえによろける。祭司と預言者とは濃き酒のゆえによろめき、酒のゆえに心みだれ、濃き酒のゆえによろける。彼らは幻を見るときに誤り、さばきを行うときにつまづく。
28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they go astray in vision, they stumble in judgment.
28:8 すべての食卓は吐いた物で満ち、清い所はない。
28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
28:9 「彼はだれに知識を教えようとするのか。だれにおとずれを説きあかそうとするのか。乳をやめ、乳ぶさを離れた者にするのだろうか。
28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
28:10 それは教訓に教訓、教訓に教訓、規則に規則、規則に規則。ここにも少し、そこにも少し教えるのだ」。
28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
28:11 否、むしろ主は異国のくちびると、異国の舌とをもってこの民に語られる。
28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
28:12 主はさきに彼らに言われた、「これが安息だ、疲れた者に安息を与えよ。これが休息だ」と。しかし彼らは聞こうとはしなかった。
28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith all of you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
28:13 それゆえ、主の言葉は彼らに、教訓に教訓、教訓に教訓、規則に規則、規則に規則、ここにも少し、そこにも少しとなる。これは彼らが行って、うしろに倒れ、破られ、わなにかけられ、捕えられるためである。
28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
28:14 それゆえ、エルサレムにあるこの民を治める／あざける人々よ、主の言葉を聞け。
28:14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, all of you scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
28:15 あなたがたは言った、「われわれは死と契約をなし、陰府と協定を結んだ。みなぎりあふれる災の過ぎる時にも、それはわれわれに来ない。われわれはうそを避け所となし、偽りをもって身をかくしたからである」。
28:15 Because all of you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
28:16 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、「見よ、わたしはシオンに／一つの石をすえて基とした。これは試みを経た石、堅くすえた尊い隅の石である。『信ずる者はあわてることはない』。
28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
28:17 わたしは公平を、測りなわとし、正義を、下げ振りとする。ひょうは偽りの避け所を滅ぼし、水は隠れ場を押し倒す」。
28:17 Judgment also will I apply to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
28:18 その時あなたがたが死とたてた契約は取り消され、陰府と結んだ協定は行われない。みなぎりあふれる災の過ぎるとき、あなたがたはこれによって打ち倒される。
28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then all of you shall be trodden down by it.
28:19 それが過ぎるごとに、あなたがたを捕える。それは朝な朝な過ぎ、昼も夜も過ぎるからだ。このおとずれを聞きわきまえることは、全くの恐れである。
28:19 From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
28:20 床が短くて身を伸べることができず、かける夜具が狭くて／身をおおうことができないからだ。
28:20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
28:21 主はペラジム山で立たれたように立ちあがり、ギベオンの谷で憤られたように憤られて、その行いをなされる。その行いは類のないものである。またそのわざをなされる。そのわざは異なったものである。
28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
28:22 それゆえ、あなたがたはあざけってはならない。さもないと、あなたがたのなわめは、きびしくなる。わたしは主なる万軍の神から／全地の上に臨む滅びの宣言を聞いたからである。
28:22 Now therefore be all of you not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
28:23 あなたがたは耳を傾けて、わが声を聞くがよい。心してわが言葉を聞くがよい。
28:23 Give all of you ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
28:24 種をまくために耕す者は絶えず耕すだろうか。彼は絶えずその地をひらき、まぐわをもって土をならすだろうか。
28:24 Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground?
28:25 地のおもてを平らにしたならば、いのんどをまき、クミンをまき、小麦をうねに植え、大麦を定めた所に植え、スペルト麦をその境に植えないだろうか。
28:25 When he has made plain the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the spelt in their place?
28:26 これは彼の神が正しく、彼を導き教えられるからである。
28:26 For his God does instruct him to discretion, and does teach him.
28:27 いのんどは麦こき板でこかない、クミンはその上に車輪をころがさない。いのんどを打つには棒を用い、クミンを打つにはさおを用いる。
28:27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28:28 人はパン用の麦を打つとき砕くだろうか、否、それが砕けるまでいつまでも打つことをしない。馬をもってその上に車輪を引かせるとき、それを砕くことをしない。
28:28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
28:29 これもまた万軍の主から出ることである。その計りごとは驚くべく、その知恵はすぐれている。
28:29 This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
29:1 ああ、アリエルよ、アリエルよ、ダビデが営をかまえた町よ、年に年を加え、祭をめぐりこさせよ。
29:1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add all of you year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
29:2 その時わたしはアリエルを悩ます。そこには悲しみと嘆きとがあって、アリエルのようなものとなる。
29:2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
29:3 わたしはあなたのまわりに営を構え、やぐらをもってあなたを囲み、塁を築いてあなたを攻める。
29:3 And I will camp against you round about, and will lay siege against you with a mount, and I will raise forts against you.
29:4 その時あなたは深い地の中から物言い、低いちりの中から言葉を出す。あなたの声は亡霊の声のように地から出、あなたの言葉はちりの中から、さえずるようである。
29:4 And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust.
29:5 しかしあなたのあだの群れは／細かなちりのようになり、あらぶる者の群れは／吹き去られるもみがらのようになる。また、にわかに、またたくまに、この事がある。
29:5 Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
29:6 すなわち万軍の主は雷、地震、大いなる叫び、つむじ風、暴風および焼きつくす火の炎をもって／臨まれる。
29:6 You shall be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
29:7 そしてアリエルを攻めて戦う国々の群れ、すなわちアリエルとその城を攻めて戦い、これを悩ます者はみな／夢のように、夜の幻のようになる。
29:7 And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
29:8 飢えた者が食べることを夢みても、さめると、その飢えがいえないように、あるいは、かわいた者が飲むことを夢みても、さめると、疲れてそのかわきがとまらないように、シオンの山を攻めて戦う国々の群れも／そのようになる。
29:8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreams, and, behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreams, and, behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
29:9 あなたがたは知覚を失って気が遠くなれ、目がくらんで見えなくなれ。あなたがたは酔っていよ、しかし酒のゆえではない、よろめけ、しかし濃き酒のゆえではない。
29:9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry all of you out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
29:10 主が深い眠りの霊をあなたがたの上にそそぎ、あなたがたの目である預言者を閉じこめ、あなたがたの頭である先見者を／おおわれたからである。
29:10 For the LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has he covered.
29:11 それゆえ、このすべての幻は、あなたがたには封じた書物の言葉のようになり、人々はこれを読むことのできる者にわたして、「これを読んでください」と言えば、「これは封じてあるから読むことができない」と彼は言う。
29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I cannot; for it is sealed:
29:12 またその書物を読むことのできない者にわたして、「これを読んでください」と言えば、「読むことはできない」と彼は言う。
29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I am not learned.
29:13 主は言われた、「この民は口をもってわたしに近づき、くちびるをもってわたしを敬うけれども、その心はわたしから遠く離れ、彼らのわたしをかしこみ恐れるのは、そらで覚えた人の戒めによるのである。
29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
29:14 それゆえ、見よ、わたしはこの民に、再び驚くべきわざを行う、それは不思議な驚くべきわざである。彼らのうちの賢い人の知恵は滅び、さとい人の知識は隠される」。
29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
29:15 わざわいなるかな、おのが計りごとを主に深く隠す者。彼らは暗い中でわざを行い、「だれがわれわれを見るか、だれがわれわれのことを知るか」と言う。
29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?
29:16 あなたがたは転倒して考えている。陶器師は粘土と同じものに思われるだろうか。造られた物はそれを造った者について、「彼はわたしを造らなかった」と言い、形造られた物は形造った者について、「彼は知恵がない」と言うことができようか。
29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
29:17 しばらくしてレバノンは変って肥えた畑となり、肥えた畑は林のように／思われる時が来るではないか。
29:17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
29:18 その日、耳しいは書物の言葉を聞き、目しいの目はその暗やみから、見ることができる。
29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
29:19 柔和な者は主によって新たなる喜びを得、人のなかの貧しい者は／イスラエルの聖者によって楽しみを得る。
29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
29:20 あらぶる者は絶え、あざける者はうせ、悪を行おうと、おりをうかがう者は、ことごとく断ち滅ぼされるからである。
29:20 For the terrible one is brought to nothing, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
29:21 彼らは言葉によって人を罪に定め、町の門でいさめる者をわなにおとしいれ、むなしい言葉をかまえて正しい者をしりぞける。
29:21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproves in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nothing.
29:22 それゆえ、昔アブラハムをあがなわれた主は、ヤコブの家についてこう言われる、「ヤコブは、もはやはずかしめを受けず、その顔は、もはや色を失うことはない。
29:22 Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
29:23 彼の子孫が、その中にわが手のわざを見るとき、彼らはわが名を聖とし、ヤコブの聖者を聖として、イスラエルの神を恐れる。
29:23 But when he sees his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
29:24 心のあやまれる者も、悟りを得、つぶやく者も教をうける」。
29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
30:1 主は言われる、「そむける子らはわざわいだ、彼らは計りごとを行うけれども、わたしによってではない。彼らは同盟を結ぶけれども、わが霊によってではない、罪に罪を加えるためだ。
30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
30:2 彼らはわが言葉を求めず、エジプトへ下っていって、パロの保護にたより、エジプトの陰に隠れようとする。
30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
30:3 それゆえ、パロの保護は／かえってあなたがたの恥となり、エジプトの陰に隠れることは／あなたがたのはずかしめとなる。
30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
30:4 たとい、彼の君たちがゾアンにあり、彼の使者たちがハネスに来ても、
30:4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.
30:5 彼らは皆おのれを益することのできない民により、すなわち助けとならず、益とならず、かえって恥となり、はずかしめとなる民によって、恥をかくからである」。
30:5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
30:6 ネゲブの獣についての託宣。彼らはその富を若いろばの背に負わせ、その宝をらくだの背に負わせて、雌じし、雄じし、まむしおよび飛びかけるへびの出る／悩みと苦しみの国を通って、おのれを益することのできない民に行く。
30:6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
30:7 そのエジプトの助けは無益であって、むなしい。それゆえ、わたしはこれを／「休んでいるラハブ」と呼んだ。
30:7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
30:8 いま行って、これを彼らの前で札にしるし、書物に載せ、後の世に伝えて、とこしえにあかしとせよ。
30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
30:9 彼らはそむける民、偽りを言う子ら、主の教を聞こうとしない子らだ。
30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
30:10 彼らは先見者にむかって「見るな」と言い、預言者にむかっては／「正しい事をわれわれに預言するな、耳に聞きよいことを語れ、迷わしごとを預言せよ。
30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
30:11 大路を去り、小路をはなれ、イスラエルの聖者について語り聞かすな」と言う。
30:11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
30:12 それゆえ、イスラエルの聖者はこう言われる、「あなたがたはこの言葉を侮り、しえたげと、よこしまとを頼み、これにたよるがゆえに、
30:12 Wherefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because all of you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
30:13 この不義はあなたがたには／突き出て、くずれ落ちようとする高い石がきの／破れのようであって、その倒壊はにわかに、またたくまに来る。
30:13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.
30:14 その破れることは陶器師の器を破るように／惜しむことなく打ち砕き、その砕けのなかには、炉から火を取り、池から水をくめるほどの、ひとかけらさえ／見いだされない」。
30:14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a potsherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water likewise out of the pit.
30:15 主なる神、イスラエルの聖者はこう言われた、「あなたがたは立ち返って、落ち着いているならば救われ、穏やかにして信頼しているならば力を得る」。しかし、あなたがたはこの事を好まなかった。
30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall all of you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and all of you would not.
30:16 かえって、あなたがたは言った、「否、われわれは馬に乗って、とんで行こう」と。それゆえ、あなたがたはとんで帰る。また言った、「われらは速い馬に乗ろう」と。それゆえ、あなたがたを追う者は速い。
30:16 But all of you said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall all of you flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
30:17 ひとりの威嚇によって千人は逃げ、五人の威嚇によってあなたがたは逃げて、その残る者はわずかに／山の頂にある旗ざおのように、丘の上にある旗のようになる。
30:17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall all of you flee: till all of you be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an explicit sign on an hill.
30:18 それゆえ、主は待っていて、あなたがたに恵を施される。それゆえ、主は立ちあがって、あなたがたをあわれまれる。主は公平の神でいらせられる。すべて主を待ち望む者はさいわいである。
30:18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
30:19 シオンにおり、エルサレムに住む民よ、あなたはもはや泣くことはない。主はあなたの呼ばわる声に応じて、必ずあなたに恵みを施される。主がそれを聞かれるとき、直ちに答えられる。
30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious unto you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.
30:20 たとい主はあなたがたに悩みのパンと苦しみの水を与えられても、あなたの師は再び隠れることはなく、あなたの目はあなたの師を見る。
30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but yours eyes shall see your teachers:
30:21 また、あなたが右に行き、あるいは左に行く時、そのうしろで「これは道だ、これに歩め」と言う言葉を耳に聞く。
30:21 And yours ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk all of you in it, when all of you turn to the right hand, and when all of you turn to the left.
30:22 その時、あなたがたはしろがねをおおった刻んだ像と、こがねを張った鋳た像とを汚し、これをきたない物のようにまき散らして、これに「去れ」と言う。
30:22 All of you shall defile also the covering of your graven images of silver, and the ornament of your molten images of gold: you shall cast them away as a menstruous cloth; you shall say unto it, Get you behind.
30:23 主はあなたが地にまく種に雨を与え、地の産物なる穀物をくださる。それはおびただしく、かつ豊かである。その日あなたの家畜は広い牧場で草を食べ、
30:23 Then shall he give the rain of your seed, that you shall sow the ground likewise; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and abundant: in that day shall your cattle feed in large pastures.
30:24 地を耕す牛と、ろばは、シャベルと、くまででより分けて塩を加えた飼料を食べる。
30:24 The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean animal food, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.
30:25 大いなる虐殺の日、やぐらの倒れる時、すべてのそびえたつ山と、すべての高い丘に水の流れる川がある。
30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
30:26 さらに主がその民の傷を包み、その打たれた傷をいやされる日には、月の光は日の光のようになり、日の光は七倍となり、七つの日の光のようにになる。
30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of his people, and heals the stroke of their wound.
30:27 見よ、主の名は遠い所から／燃える怒りと、立ちあがる濃い煙をもって来る。そのくちびるは憤りで満ち、その舌は焼きつくす火のごとく、
30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
30:28 その息はあふれて首にまで達する／流れのようであって、滅びのふるいをもってもろもろの国をふるい、また惑わす手綱を／もろもろの民のあごにつけるために来る。
30:28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to go astray.
30:29 あなたがたは、聖なる祭を守る夜のように歌をうたう。また笛をならして主の山にきたり、イスラエルの岩なる主にまみえる時のように心に喜ぶ。
30:29 All of you shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
30:30 主はその威厳ある声を聞かせ、激しい怒りと、焼きつくす火の炎と、豪雨と、暴風と、ひょうとをもってその腕の下ることを示される。
30:30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
30:31 主がそのむちをもって打たれる時、アッスリヤの人々は主の声によって恐れおののく。
30:31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which stroke with a rod.
30:32 主が懲らしめのつえを彼らの上に加えられるごとに鼓を鳴らし、琴をひく。主は腕を振りかざして、彼らと戦われる。
30:32 And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with timbrels and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
30:33 焼き場はすでに設けられた。しかも王のために深く広く備えられ、火と多くのたきぎが積まれてある。主の息はこれを硫黄の流れのように燃やす。
30:33 For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he has made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, does kindle it.
31:1 助けを得るためにエジプトに下り、馬にたよる者はわざわいだ。彼らは戦車が多いので、これに信頼し、騎兵がはなはだ強いので、これに信頼する。しかしイスラエルの聖者を仰がず、また主にはかることをしない。
31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
31:2 それにもかかわらず、主もまた賢くいらせられ、必ず災をくだし、その言葉を取り消すことなく、立って悪をなす者の家を攻め、また不義を行う者を助ける者を攻められる。
31:2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
31:3 かのエジプトびとは人であって、神ではない。その馬は肉であって、霊ではない。主がみ手を伸ばされるとき、助ける者はつまずき、助けられる者も倒れて、皆ともに滅びる。
31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helps shall fall, and he that is helped shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
31:4 主はわたしにこう言われた、「ししまたは若いししが獲物をつかんで、ほえたけるとき、あまたの羊飼が呼び出されて、これにむかっても、その声によって驚かず、その叫びによって恐れないように、万軍の主は下ってきて、シオンの山およびその丘で戦われる。
31:4 For thus has the LORD spoken unto me, Like the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor bring low himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
31:5 鳥がひなを守るように、万軍の主はエルサレムを守り、これを守って救い、これを惜しんで助けられる」。
31:5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
31:6 イスラエルの人々よ、主に帰れ。あなたがたは、はなはだしく主にそむいた。
31:6 Turn all of you unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
31:7 その日、あなたがたは自分の手で造って罪を犯したしろがねの偶像と、こがねの偶像をめいめい投げすてる。
31:7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
31:8 「アッスリヤびとはつるぎによって倒れる、人のつるぎではない。つるぎが彼らを滅ぼす、人のつるぎではない。彼らはつるぎの前から逃げ去り、その若い者は奴隷の働きをしいられる。
31:8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be humiliated.
31:9 彼らの岩は恐れによって過ぎ去り、その君たちはあわて、旗をすてて逃げ去る」。これは主の言葉である。主の火はシオンにあり、その炉はエルサレムにある。
31:9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the explicit sign, says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
32:1 見よ、ひとりの王が／正義をもって統べ治め、君たちは公平をもってつかさどり、
32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
32:2 おのおの風をさける所、暴風雨をのがれる所のようになり、かわいた所にある水の流れのように、疲れた地にある大きな岩の陰のようになる。
32:2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
32:3 こうして、見る者の目は開かれ、聞く者の耳はよく聞き、
32:3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
32:4 気短な者の心は悟る知識を得、どもりの舌はたやすく、あざやかに語ることができる。
32:4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
32:5 愚かな者は、もはや尊い人と呼ばれることなく、悪人はもはや、りっぱな人と言われることはない。
32:5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.
32:6 それは愚かな者は愚かなことを語り、その心は不義をたくらみ、よこしまを行い、主について誤ったことを語り、飢えた者の望みを満たさず、かわいた者の飲み物を奪い取るからである。
32:6 For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
32:7 悪人の行いは悪い。彼は悪い計りごとをめぐらし、偽りの言葉をもって貧しい者をおとしいれ、乏しい者が正しいことを語っても、なお、これをおとしいれる。
32:7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.
32:8 しかし尊い人は尊いことを語り、つねに尊いことを行う。
32:8 But the liberal devises liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
32:9 安んじている女たちよ、起きて、わが声を聞け。思い煩いなき娘たちよ、わが言葉に耳を傾けよ。
32:9 Rise up, all of you women that are at ease; hear my voice, all of you careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
32:10 思い煩いなき女たちよ、一年あまりの日をすぎて、あなたがたは震えおののく。ぶどうの収穫がむなしく、実を取り入れる時が来ないからだ。
32:10 Many days and years shall all of you be troubled, all of you careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
32:11 安んじている女たちよ、震え恐れよ。思い煩いなき女たちよ、震えおののけ。衣を脱ぎ、裸になって腰に荒布をまとえ。
32:11 Tremble, all of you women that are at ease; be troubled, all of you careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
32:12 良き畑のため、実り豊かなぶどうの木のために胸を打て。
32:12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
32:13 いばら、おどろの生えているわが民の地のため、喜びに満ちている町にある／すべての喜びの家のために胸を打て。
32:13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
32:14 宮殿は捨てられ、にぎわった町は荒れすたれ、丘と、やぐらとは、とこしえにほら穴となり、野のろばの楽しむ所、羊の群れの牧場となるからである。
32:14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
32:15 しかし、ついには霊が上から／われわれの上にそそがれて、荒野は良き畑となり、良き畑は林のごとく見られるようになる。
32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
32:16 その時、公平は荒野に住み、正義は良き畑にやどる。
32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
32:17 正義は平和を生じ、正義の結ぶ実はとこしえの平安と信頼である。
32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
32:18 わが民は平和の家におり、安らかなすみかにおり、静かな休み所におる。
32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
32:19 しかし林はことごとく切り倒され、町もことごとく倒される。
32:19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
32:20 すべての水のほとりに種をまき、牛およびろばを自由に放ちおくあなたがたは、さいわいである。
32:20 Blessed are all of you that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.
