9:1 また、彼らに言われた、「よく聞いておくがよい。神の国が力を持って来るのを見るまでは、決して死を味わわない者が、ここに立っている者の中にいる」。
9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
9:2 六日の後、イエスは、ただペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に上られた。ところが、彼らの目の前でイエスの姿が変わり、
9:2 And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter, and James, and John, and leads them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
9:3 その衣は真っ白く輝き、どんな布さらしでも、それほどに白くすることはできないくらいになった。
9:3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no launderer on earth can white them.
9:4 すると、エリヤがモーセと共に彼らに現れて、イエスと語り合っていた。
9:4 And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
9:5 ペテロはイエスにむかって言った、「先生、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。それで、わたしたちは小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのために、一つはモーセのために、一つはエリヤのために」。
9:5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
9:6 そう言ったのは、みんなの者が非常に恐れていたので、ペテロは何を言ってよいのか、わからなかったからである。
9:6 For he knows not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
9:7 すると、雲がわき起こって彼らをおおった。そして、その雲の中から声があった、「これはわたしの愛する子である。これに聞け」。
9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
9:8 彼らは急いで見まわしたが、もはやだれも見えず、ただイエスだけが、自分たちと一緒におられた。
9:8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9:9 一同が山を下って来るとき、イエスは「人の子が死人の中からよみがえるまでは、いま見たことをだれにも話してはならない」と、彼らに命じられた。
9:9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
9:10 彼らはこの言葉を心にとめ、死人の中からよみがえるとはどういうことかと、互いに論じ合った。
9:10 And they kept that saying (o. logos) with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
9:11 そしてイエスに尋ねた、「なぜ、律法学者たちは、エリヤが先に来るはずだと言っているのですか」。
9:11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elijah must first come?
9:12 イエスは言われた、「確かに、エリヤが先にきて、万事を元どおりに改める。しかし、人の子について、彼が多くの苦しみを受け、かつ恥ずかしめられると、書いてあるのはなぜか。
9:12 And he answered and told them, Elijah verily comes first, and restores all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nothing.
9:13 しかしあなたがたに言っておく、エリヤはすでにきたのだ。そして彼について書いてあるように、人々は自分かってに彼をあしらった」。
9:13 But I say unto you, That Elijah is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
9:14 さて、彼らがほかの弟子たちの所にきて見ると、大ぜいの群衆が弟子たちを取り囲み、そして律法学者たちが彼らと論じ合っていた。
9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
9:15 群衆はみな、すぐイエスを見つけて、非常に驚き、駆け寄ってきて、あいさつをした。
9:15 And immediately all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
9:16 イエスは彼らに、「あなたがたは彼らと何を論じているのか」と尋ねられると、
9:16 And he asked the scribes, What question all of you with them?
9:17 群衆のひとりが答えた、「先生、おしの霊につかれいるわたしのむすこを、こちらに連れて参りました。
9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto you my son, which has a dumb spirit; (o. pneuma)
9:18 霊がこのむすこにとりつきますと、どこででも彼を引き倒し、それから彼はあわを吹き、歯をくいしばり、からだをこわばらせてしまいます。それでお弟子たちに、この霊を追い出してくださるようお願いしましたが、できませんでした」。
9:18 And where ever he takes him, he tears him: and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pins away: and I spoke to your disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
9:19 イエスは答えて言われた、「ああ、なんと不信仰な時代であろう。いつまで、あなたがたと一緒におられようか。いつまで、あなたがたに我慢できようか。その子をわたしの所に連れてきなさい」。
9:19 He answers him, and says, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
9:20 そこで人々は、その子をみもとに連れてきた。霊がイエスを見るや否や、その子をひきつけさせたので、子は地に倒れ、あわを吹きながらころげまわった。
9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, immediately the spirit (o. pneuma) tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
9:21 そこで、イエスが父親に「いつごろから、こんなになったのか」と尋ねられると、父親は答えた、「幼い時からです。
9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
9:22 霊はだびたび、この子を火の中、水の中に投げ入れて、殺そうとしました。しかしできますれば、わたしどもをあわれんでお助けください」。
9:22 And frequently it has cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if you can do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
9:23 イエスは彼に言われた、「もしできれば、と言うのか。信ずる者は、どんな事でもできる」。
9:23 Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
9:24 その子の父親はすぐ叫んで言った、「信じます。不信仰な私を、お助けください」。
9:24 And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help you mine unbelief.
9:25 イエスは群衆が駆け寄って来るのをごらんになって、けがれた霊をしかって言われた、「おしとつんぼの霊よ、わたしがおまえに命じる。この子から出て行け。二度と、はいって来るな」。
9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, (o. pneuma) saying unto him, You dumb and deaf spirit, (o. pneuma) I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
9:26 すると霊は叫び声を上げ、激しく引きつけさせて出て行った。その子は死人のようになったので、多くの人は、死んだのだと言った。
9:26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
9:27 しかし、イエスが手を取って起こされると、その子は立ち上がった。
9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
9:28 家にはいられたとき、弟子たちはひそかにお尋ねした、「わたしたちは、どうして霊を追い出せなかったのですか」。
9:28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
9:29 すると、イエスは言われた、「このたぐいは、祈りによらなければ、どうしても追い出すことはできない」。
9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
9:30 それから彼らはそこを立ち去り、ガリラヤをとおって行ったが、イエスは人に気づかれるのを好まれなかった。
9:30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
9:31 それは、イエスが弟子たちに教えて、「人の子は人人の手にわたされ、彼らに殺され、殺されてから三日の後によみがえるであろう」。と言っておられたからである。
9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
9:32 しかし、彼らはイエスの言われたことを悟らず、また尋ねるのを恐れていた。
9:32 But they understood not that saying, (o. rhema) and were afraid to ask him.
9:33 それから彼らはカペナウムにきた。そして家におられるとき、イエスは弟子たちに尋ねられた、「あなたがたは途中で何を論じていたのか」。
9:33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that all of you disputed among yourselves by the way?
9:34 彼らは黙っていた。それは途中で、だれが一ばん偉いかと、互に論じ合っていたからである。
9:34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
9:35 そこで、イエスはすわって十二弟子を呼び、そして言われた、「だれでも一ばん先になろうと思うならば、一ばんあとになり、みになに仕える者とならねばならない」。
9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and says unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
9:36 そして、ひとりの幼な子をとりあげて、彼らのまん中に立たせ、それを抱いて言われた。
9:36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
9:37 「だれでも、このような幼な子のひとりを、わたしの名ゆえに受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのである。そして、わたしを受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのではなく、わたしをおつかわしになったかたを受けいれるのである」。
9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.
9:38 ヨハネがイエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちについてこない者が、あなたの名を使って悪霊を追い出しているのを見ましたが、その人はわたしたちについてこなかったので、やめさせました」。
9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in your name, and he follows not us: and we forbad him, because he follows not us.
9:39 イエスは言われた、「やめさせないがよい。だれでもわたしの名で力あるわざを行いながら、すぐそのあとで、わたしをそしることはできない。
9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
9:40 わたしたちに反対しない者は、わたしたちの味方である。
9:40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
9:41 だれでも、キリストについている者だというので、おなたがたに水一杯でも飲ませてくれるものは、よく言っておくが、決してその報いからもれることはないであろう。
9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because all of you belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
9:42 また、わたしを信じるこれらの小さい者ひとりをつまずかせる者は、大きなひきうすを首にかけられて海に投げ込まれた方が、はるかによい。
9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
9:43 もし、あなたの片手が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両手がそろったままで地獄の消えない火の中に落ち込むよりは、かたわになって命に入る方がよい。
9:43 And if your hand offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life physically disabled, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
9:44 〔地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。〕
9:44 Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
9:45 もし、あなたの片足が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両足がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片足で命に入る方がよい。
9:45 And if your foot offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
9:46 〔地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。〕
9:46 Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
09:47 もし、あなたの片目が罪を犯させるなら、それを抜き出しなさい。両眼がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片目になって神の国に入る方がよい。
9:47 And if yours eye offend you, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
9:48 地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。
9:48 Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
9:49 人はすべて火で塩づけられねばならない。
9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
9:50 塩はよいものである。しかし、もしその塩の味がぬけたら、何によってその味を取りもどされようか。あなたがた自身の内に塩を持ちなさい。そして、互いに和らぎなさい」。
9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, wherewith will all of you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

10:1 それから、イエスはそこを去って、ユダヤの地方とヨルダンの向こう側へ行かれたが、群衆がまた寄り集まったので、いつものように、また教えられた。
10:1 And he arose from thence, and comes into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was known, he taught them again.
10:2 そのとき、パリサイ人たちが近づいてきて、イエスを試みようとして質問した、「夫はその妻を出しても差しつかえないでしょうか」。
10:2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
10:3 イエスは答えて言われた、「モーセはあなたがたになんと命じたか」。
10:3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
10:4 彼らは言った、「モーセは離縁状を書いて妻を出すことを許しました」。
10:4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
10:5 そこでイエスは言われた、「モーセはあなたがたの心が、かたくななので、あなたがたのためにこの定めを書いたのである。
10:5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
10:6 しかし、天地創造の初めから、『神は人を男と女とに造られた。
10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
10:7 それゆえに、人はその父母を離れ、
10:7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
10:8 ふたりの者は一体となるべきである』。彼らはもはや、ふたりではなく一体である。
10:8 And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh.
10:9 だから、神が合わせられたものを、人は離してはならない」。
10:9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.
10:10 家にはいってから、弟子たちはまたこのことについて尋ねた。
10:10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
10:11 そこでイエスは言われた、「だれでも、自分の妻を出して他の女をめとる者は、その妻に対して姦淫を行うのである。
10:11 And he says unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.
10:12 また妻が、その夫と別れて他の男にとつぐならば、姦淫を行うのである」。
10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery.
10:13 イエスにさわっていただくために、人々が幼な子らをみもとに連れてきた。ところが、弟子たちは彼らをたしなめた。
10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
10:14 それを見てイエスは憤り、彼らに言われた、「幼な子らをわたしの所に来るままにしておきなさい。止めてはならない。神の国はこのような者の国である。
10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
10:15 よく聞いておくがよい。だれでも幼な子のように神の国を受けいれる者でなければ、そこにはいることは決してできない」。
10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
10:16 そして彼らを抱き、手をその上において祝福された。
10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
10:17 イエスが道に出て行かれると、ひとりの人が走り寄り、みまえにひざまずいて尋ねた、「よき師よ、永遠の生命を受けるために、何をしたらよいでしょうか」。
10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
10:18 イエスは言われた、「なぜわたしをよき者と言うのか。神ひとりのほかによい者はない。
10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
10:19 いましめはあなたの知っているとおりである。『殺すな、姦淫するな、盗むな、偽証を立てるな、欺き取るな、父と母を敬え』」。
10:19 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour your father and mother.
10:20 すると、彼は言った、「先生、それらの事はみな、小さい時から守っております」。
10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
10:21 イエスは彼に目をとめ、いつくしんで言われた、「あなたに足りないことが一つある。帰って、持っているものをみな売り払って、貧しい人々に施しなさい。そうすれば、天に宝を持つようになろう。そして、わたしに従ってきなさい」。
10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatsoever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
10:22 すると、彼はこの言葉を聞いて、顔を曇らせ、悲しみながら立ち去った。たくさんの資産を持っていたからである。
10:22 And he was sad at that saying, (o. logos) and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
10:23 それから、イエスは見まわして、弟子たちに言われた、「財産のある者が神の国にはいるのは、なんとむずかしいことであろう」。
10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and says unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
10:24 弟子たちはこの言葉に驚き怪しんだ。イエスは更に言われた、「子たちよ、神の国にはいるのは、なんとむずかしいことであろう。
10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. (o. logos) But Jesus answers again, and says unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
10:25 富んでいる者が神の国にはいるよりは、らくだが針の穴を通る方が、もっとやさしい」。
10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
10:26 すると彼らはますます驚いて、互いに言った、「それでは、がれが救われることができるのだろう」。
10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
10:27 イエスは彼らを見つめて言われた、「人にはできないが、神にはできる。神はなんでもできるからである」。
10:27 And Jesus looking upon them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
10:28 ペテロがイエスに言い出した、「ごらんなさい、わたしたちがいっさいを捨てて、あなたに従って参りました」。
10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed you.
10:29 イエスは言われた、「よく聞いておくがよい。だれでもわたしのために、また福音のために、家、兄弟、姉妹、母、父、子、もしくは畑を捨てた者は、
10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
10:30 必ずその百倍を受ける。すなわち、今この時代では家、兄弟、姉妹、母、子および畑を迫害と共に受け、また、きたるべき世では永遠の生命を受ける。
10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
10:31 しかし、多くの先の者はあとになり、あとの者は先になるであろう」。
10:31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
10:32 さて、一同はエルサレムに上る途中にあったが、イエスが先頭に立って行かれたので、彼らは驚き怪しみ、従う者たちは恐れた。するとイエスはまた十二弟子を呼び寄せて、自分の身に起ころうとすることについて語りはじめられた。
10:32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,
10:33 「見よ、わたしたちはエルサレムへ上って行くが、人の子は祭司長、律法学者たちの手に引きわたされる。そして彼らは死刑を宣告した上、彼を異邦人に引きわたすであろう。
10:33 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
10:34 また彼をあざけり、つばをかけ、むち打ち、ついに殺してしまう。そして彼は三日の後によみがえるであろう」。
10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
10:35 さて、ゼベタイの子のヤコブとヨハネとがイエスのもとにきて言った、「先生、わたしたちがお頼みすることは、なんでもかなえてくださるようにお願いします」。
10:35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that you should do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
10:36 イエスは彼らに、「何をしてほしいと、願うのか」と言われた。
10:36 And he said unto them, What would all of you that I should do for you?
10:37 すると彼らは言った、「栄光をお受けになるとき、ひとりをあなたの右に、ひとりを左にすわるようにしてください」。
10:37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on your right hand, and the other on your left hand, in your glory.
10:38 イエスは言われた、「あなたがたは自分が何を求めているのか、わかっていない。あなたがたは、わたしが飲む杯を飲み、わたしが受けるバプテスマを受けることができるか」。
10:38 But Jesus said unto them, All of you know not what all of you ask: can all of you drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
10:39 彼らは「できます」と答えた。するとイエスは言われた、「あなたがたは、わたしが飲む杯を飲み、わたしが受けるバプテスマを受けるであろう。
10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, All of you shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized likewise shall all of you be baptized:
10:40 しかし、わたしの右、左にすわらせることは、わたしのすることではなく、ただ備えられている人々だけに許されることである」。
10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
10:41 十人の者はこれを聞いて、ヤコブとヨハネのことで憤慨し出した。
10:41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
10:42 そこで、イエスは彼らを呼び寄せて言われた、「あなたがたの知っているとおり、異邦人の支配者と見られている人々は、その民を治め、また偉い人たちは、その民の上に権力をふるっている。
10:42 But Jesus called them to him, and says unto them, All of you know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
10:43 しかし、あなたがたの間では、そうであってはならない。かえって、あなたがたの間で偉くなりたいと思う者は、仕える人となり、
10:43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
10:44 あなたがたの間でかしらになりたいと思う者は、すべての人の僕とならなねばならない。
10:44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
10:45 人の子がきたのも、仕えられるためではなく、仕えるためであり、また多くの人のあがないとして、自分の命を与えるためである」。
10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
10:46 それから、かれらはエリコにきた。そして、イエスが弟子たちや大ぜいの群衆と共にエリコから出かけられたとき、テマイの子、バルテマイという盲人のこじきが、道ばたにすわっていた。
10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
10:47 ところが、ナザレのイエスだと聞いて、彼は「ダビデの子イエスよ、わたしをあわれんでください」と叫び出した。
10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me.
10:48 多くの人々は彼をしかって黙らせようとしたが、彼はますます激しく叫びつづけた、「ダビデの子イエスよ、わたしをあわれんでください」。
10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, You son of David, have mercy on me.
10:49 イエスは立ちどまって「彼を呼べ」と命じられた。そこで、人々はその盲人を呼んで言った、「喜べ、立て、おまえを呼んでおられる」。
10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calls you.
10:50 そこで彼は上着を脱ぎ捨て、踊りあがってイエスのもとにきた。
10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
10:51 イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「わたしに何をしてほしいのか」。その盲人は言った、「先生、見えるようになることです」。
10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What will you that I should do unto you? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
10:52 そこでイエスは言われた、「行け、あなたの信仰があなたを救った」。すると彼は、たちまち見えるようになり、イエスに従って行った。
10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

11:1 さて、彼らがエルサレムに近づき、オリブの山に沿ったベテパゲ、ベタニヤの付近にきた時、イエスはふたりの弟子をつかわして言われた、
11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends forth two of his disciples,
11:2 「むこうの村へ行きなさい。そこにはいるとすぐ、まだだれも乗ったことのないろばの子が、つないであるのを見るであろう。それを解いて引いてきなさい。
11:2 And says unto them, Go your way into the village opposite to you: and as soon as all of you be entered into it, all of you shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
11:3 もし、だれかがあなたがたに、なぜそんな事をするのかと言ったら、主がお入り用なのです。またすぐ、ここへ返してくださいますと、言いなさい」。
11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do all of you this? say all of you that the Lord has need of him; and immediately he will send him here.
11:4 そこで、彼らは出かけて行き、そして表通りの戸口に、ろばの子がつないであるのを見たので、それを解いた。
11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
11:5 すると、そこに立っていた人々が言った、「ろばの子をといて、どうするのか」。
11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do all of you, loosing the colt?
11:6 弟子たちは、イエスが言われたとおり彼らに話したので、ゆるしてくれた。そこで、
11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
11:7 弟子たちは、そのろばの子をイエスのところに引いてきて、自分たちの上着をそれに投げかけると、イエスはその上にお乗りになった。
11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
11:8 すると多くの人々は自分たちの上着を道に敷き、また他の人々は葉のついた枝を野原から切ってきて敷いた。
11:8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and scattered them in the way.
11:9 そして、前に行く者も、後に従う者も共に叫びつづけた、「ホサナ、主の御名によってきたる者に、祝福あれ、
11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord:
11:10 今きたる、われらの父ダビデの国に、祝福あれ。いと高き所に、ホサナ」。
11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11:11 こうしてイエスはエルサレムに着き、宮にはいられた。そして、すべてのものを見まわった後、もはや時もおそくなっていたので、十二弟子と共にベタニヤに出て行かれた。
11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the evening was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
11:12 翌日、彼らがベタニヤから出かけてきたとき、イエスは空腹をおぼえられた。
11:12 And on the next day, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
11:13 そして、葉の茂ったいちじくの木を遠くからごらんになって、その木に何かありはしないかと近寄られたが、葉のほかは何も見当たらなかった。いちじくの季節でなかったからである。
11:13 And seeing a fig tree far off having leaves, he came, if lest by any means he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14 そこで、イエスはその木に向かって、「今から後いつまでも、おまえの実を食べる者がないように」と言われた。弟子たちはこれを聞いていた。
11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of you hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
11:15 それから、彼らはエルサレムにきた。イエスは宮に入り、宮の庭で売り買いをしていた人々を追い出しはじめ、両替人の台や、はとを売る者の腰掛けをくつがえし、
11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
11:16 また器ものを持って宮の庭を通り抜けるのをお許しにならなかった。
11:16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
11:17 そして、彼らに教えて言われた、「『わたしの家は、すべての国民の祈りの家ととなえられるべきである』と書いてあるではないか。それだのに、あなたがたはそれを強盗の巣にしてしまった」。
11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but all of you have made it a den of thieves.
11:18 祭司長、律法学者たちはこれを聞いて、どうかしてイエスを殺そうと計った。彼らは、群衆がみなその教えに感動していたので、イエスを恐れていたからである。
11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
11:19 夕方になると、イエスは弟子たちと、いつものように都の外に出て行った。
11:19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
11:20 朝はやく道をとおっていると、彼らは先のいちじくが根元から枯れているのを見た。
11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21 そこで、ペテロは思い出してイエスに言った、「先生、ごらんなさい。あなたがのろられたいちじくが、枯れています」。
11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance says unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away.
11:22 イエスは答えて言われた、「神を信じなさい。
11:22 And Jesus answering says unto them, Have faith in God.
11:23 よく聞いておくがよい。だれでもこの山に、動き出して、海の中にはいれと言い、その言ったことは必ず成ると、心に疑わないで信じるなら、そのとおりに成るであろう。
11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.
11:24 そこで、あなたがたに言うが、なんてせも祈り求めることは、すでにかなえられると信じなさい。そうすれば、そのとおりになるであろう。
11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things whatsoever all of you desire, when all of you pray, believe that all of you receive them, and all of you shall have them.
11:25 また立って祈るとき、だれかに対して、何か恨み事かあるならば、ゆるしてやりなさい。そうすれば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださるであろう。
11:25 And when all of you stand praying, forgive, if all of you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
11:26 〔もしゆるさないならば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださらないであろう〕」。
11:26 But if all of you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
11:27 彼らはまたエルサレムにきた。そして、イエスが宮の内を歩いておられると、祭司長、律法学者、長老たちが、みもとにきて言った、
11:27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28 「何の権威によってこれらの事をするのですか。だれが、そうする権威を授けたのですか」。
11:28 And say unto him, By what authority do you these things? and who gave you this authority to do these things?
11:29 そこで、イエスは彼らに言われた、「一つだけ尋ねよう。それに答えてほしい。そうしたら、何の権威によって、わたしがこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言おう。
11:29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, (o. logos) and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
11:30 ヨハネのバプテスマは天からであったか、人からであったか、答えなさい」。
11:30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
11:31 すると、互いに論じて言った、「もし天からだと言えば、では、なぜ彼を信じなかったのか、とイエスは言うだろう、
11:31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did all of you not believe him?
11:32 しかし、人からだと言えば・・・」。彼らは群衆を恐れていた。人々が皆、ヨハネを預言者打とほんとうに思っていたからである。
11:32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
11:33 それで彼らは「わたしたちにはわかりません」と答えた。するとイエスは言われた、「わたしも何の権威によってこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言うまい」。
11:33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering says unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

12:1 そこでイエスは譬で彼らに語り出された、「ある人がぶどう園を造り、垣をめぐらし、また酒ぶねの穴を掘り、やぐらを立てて、それを農夫たちに貸して、旅に出かけた。
12:1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and dug a place for the winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
12:2 季節になったので、農夫たちのところへ、ひとりの僕を送って、ぶどう園の収穫の分け前を取り立てさせようとした。
12:2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
12:3 すると、彼らはその僕をつかまえて、袋だたきにし、から手で帰らせた。
12:3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
12:4 また他の僕を送ったが、その頭をなぐって侮辱した。
12:4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
12:5 そこでまた他の者を送ったが、今度はそれを殺してしまった。そのほかおおぜいの者を送ったが、彼らを打ったり、殺したりした。
12:5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
12:6 ここに、もうひとりの者がいた。それは彼の愛子であった。自分の子は敬ってくれるだろうと思って、最後に彼をつかわした。
12:6 Having yet therefore one son, his beloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
12:7 すると、農夫たちは『あれはあと取りだ。さあ、これを殺してしまおう。そうしたら、その財産はわれわれのものになるのだ』と話し合い、
12:7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's.
12:8 彼をつかまえて殺し、ぶどう園の外に投げ捨てた。
12:8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
12:9 このぶどう園の主人は、どうするだろうか。彼は出てきて、農夫たちを殺し、ぶどう園を他の人々に与えるであろう。
12:9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
12:10 あなたがたは、この聖書の句を読んだことがないのか。『家造りらの捨てた石が隅のかしら石になった。
12:10 And have all of you not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
12:11 これは主がなされたことで、わたしたちの目には不思議に見える』」。
12:11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12:12 彼らはいまの譬が、自分たちに当てて語られたことを悟ったので、イエスを捕らえようとしたが、群衆を恐れた。そしてイエスをそこに残して立ち去った。
12:12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
12:13 さて、人々はパリサイ人やヘロデ党の者を数人、イエスのもとにつかわして、その言葉じりを捕らえようとした。
12:13 And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. (o. logos)
12:14 彼らはきてイエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちはあなたが真実なかたで、だれをも、はばかられないことを知っています。あなたは人に分け隔てをなさらないで、真理に基づいて神の道を教えてくださいます。ところで、カイザルに税金を納めてよいでしょうか、いけないでしようか。納めるべきでしょうか。納めてはならないのでょうか」。
12:14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that you are true, and care for no man: for you regard not the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
12:15 イエスは彼らの偽善を見抜いて言われた、「なぜわたしをためそうとするのか。デナリを持ってきて見せなさい」。
12:15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt all of you me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
12:16 彼らはそれを持ってきた。そこでイエスは言われた、「これは、だれの肖像、だれの記号か」。彼らは「カイザルのです」と答えた。
12:16 And they brought it. And he says unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
12:17 するとイエスは言われた、「カイザルのものはカイザルに、神のものは神に返しなさい」。彼らはイエスに驚嘆した。
12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
12:18 復活ということはないと主張していたサドカイ人たちが、イエスのもとにきて質問した、
12:18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
12:19 「先生、モーセは、わたしたちのためにこう書いています、『もし、ある人の兄が死んで、その残された妻に、子がない場合には、弟はこの女をめとって、兄のために子をもうけねばならない』。
12:19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
12:20 ここに七人の兄弟がいました。長男は妻をめとりましたが、子がなくて死に、
12:20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
12:21 次男がその女をめとって、また子をもうけずに死に、三男も同様でした。
12:21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
12:22 こうして、七人ともみな子孫を残しませんでした。最後にその女も死にました。
12:22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
12:23 復活のとき、彼らが皆よみがえった場合、この女はだれの妻なのでしょうか。七人とも彼女を妻にしたのですが」。
12:23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
12:24 イエスは言われた、「あなたがたかそんな思い違いをしているのは、聖書も神の力も知らないからではないか。
12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do all of you not therefore go astray, because all of you know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
12:25 彼らが死人の中からよみがえるときには、めとったり、とついだりすることはない。彼らは天にいる御使のようなものである。
12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
12:26 死人がよみがえることについては、モーセの書の柴の編で、神がモーセに仰せになった言葉を読んだことがないのか。『わたしはアブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神である』とあるではないか。
12:26 And as concerning the dead, that they rise: have all of you not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spoke unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
12:27 神は死んだ者の神ではなく、生きている者の神である。あなたがたは非常な思い違いをしている」。
12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: all of you therefore do greatly go astray.
12:28 ひとりの律法学者がきて、彼らが互いに論じ合っているのを聞き、きたイエスが巧みに答えられるのを認めて、イエスに質問した、「すべてのいましめの中で、どれが第一のものですか」。
12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
12:29 イエスは答えられた、「第一のいましめはこれである、『イスラエルよ、聞け、主なるわたしたちの神は、ただひとりの主である。
12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
12:30 心をつくし、精神をつくし、思いをつくし、力をつくして、主なるあなたの神を愛せよ』。
12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.
12:31 第二はこれである、『自分を愛するようにあなたの隣り人を愛せよ』。これより大事ないましめは、ほかにない」。
12:31 And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
12:32 そこで、この律法学者はイエスに言った、「先生、仰せのとおりです、『神はひとりであったて、そのほかに神はない』と言われたのは、ほんとうです。
12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is no other but he:
12:33 また『心をつくし、知恵をつくし、力をつくして神を愛し、また自分を愛するように隣り人を愛する』ということは、すべての燔祭や犠牲よりも、はるかに大事なことです」。
12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
12:34 イエスは、彼が適切な答をしたのを見て言われた、「あなたは神の国から遠くない」。それから後は、イエスにあえて問う者はなかった。
12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
12:35 イエスが宮で教えておられたとき、こう言われた、「律法学者たちは、どうしてキリストをダビデの子だと言うのか。
12:35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
12:36 ダビデ自身が聖霊に感じて言った、『主はわが主に仰せになった、あなたの敵をあなたの足もとに置くときまでは、わたしの右に座していなさい』。
12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make yours enemies your footstool.
12:37 このように、ダビデ自身がキリストを主と呼んでいる。それなら、どうしてキリストはダビデの子であろうか」。大ぜいの群衆は、喜んでイエスに耳を傾けていた。
12:37 David therefore himself calls him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
12:38 イエスはその教えの中で言われた、「律法学者に気をつけなさい。彼らは長い衣をきて歩くことや、広場であいさつされることや、
12:38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
12:39 また会堂の上席、宴会の上席を好んでいる。
12:39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
12:40 また、やもめたちの家を食い倒し、見えのために長い祈りをする。彼らはもっともきびしいさばきを受けるであろう」。
12:40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
12:41 イエスは、さいせん箱にむかってすわり、群衆がその箱に金を投げ入れる様子を見ておられた。多くの金持ちは、たくさんの金を投げ入れていた。
12:41 And Jesus sat opposite to the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
12:42 ところが、ひとりの貧しいやもめがきて、レプタ二つを入れた。それは一コドラントに当たる。
12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
12:43 そこで、イエスは弟子たちを呼び寄せて言われた、「よく聞きなさい。あの貧しいやもめは、さいせん箱に投げ入れている人たちの中で、だれよりもたくさん入れたのだ。
12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and says unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
12:44 みんなの者はありあまる中から投げ入れたが、あの婦人はその乏しい中から、あらゆる持ち物、その生活費全部を入れたからである」。
12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her lack did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

13:1 イエスが宮から出て行かれるとき、弟子のひとりが言った、「先生、ごらんなさい。なんという見事な石、なんという立派な建物でしょう」。
13:1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples says unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
13:2 イエスは言われた、「あなたは、これらの大きな建物をながめているのか。その石一つでもくずされないままで、他の石の上に残ることもなくなるであろう」。
13:2 And Jesus answering said unto him, See you these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
13:3 またオリブの山で、宮にむかってすわっておられると、ペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネ、アンデレが、ひそかにお尋ねした。
13:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives opposite to the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
13:4 「わたしたちにお話ください。いつ、そんなことが起こるのでしょうか。またそんなことがことごとく成就するような場合には、どんな前兆がありますか」。
13:4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
13:5 そこで、イエスは話しはじめられた、「人に惑わされないように気をつけなさい。
13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
13:6 多くの者がわたしの名を名のって現れ、自分がそれだと言って、多くの人を惑わすであろう。
13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
13:7 また、戦争と戦争のうわさを聞くときにも、あわてるな。それは起こらねばならないが、まだ終わりではない。
13:7 And when all of you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be all of you not troubled: for such things must essentially be; but the end shall not be yet.
13:8 民は民に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がるであろう。またあちこちに地震があり、またききんが起こるであろう。これらは産みの苦しみの初めである。
13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
13:9 あなたがたは自分で気をつけていなさい。あなたがたは、わたしのために、衆議所に引きわたされ、会堂で打たれ、長官たちや王たちの前に立たされ、彼らに対してあかしをさせられるであろう。
13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues all of you shall be beaten: and all of you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
13:10 こうして、福音はまずすべての民に宣べ伝えられねばならない。
13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
13:11 そして、人々があなたがたを連れて行って引きわたすとき、何を言おうかと、前もって心配するな。その場合、自分に示されることを語るがよい。語る者はあなたがた自身ではなくて、聖霊である。
13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what all of you shall speak, neither do all of you premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak all of you: for it is not all of you that speak, but the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
13:12 また兄弟は兄弟を、父は子を殺すために渡し、子は両親に逆らって立ち、彼らを殺させるであろう。
13:12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13:13 また、あなたがたはわたしの名ゆえに、すべての人に憎まれるであろう。しかし、最後まで堪え忍ぶ者は救われる。
13:13 And all of you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
13:14 荒らす憎むべきものが、立ってはならぬ所に立つのを見たならば（読者よ、悟れ）、そのとき、ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げよ。
13:14 But when all of you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
13:15 屋上にいる者は、下におりるな。また家から物を取り出そうとして内にはいるな。
13:15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
13:16 畑にいる者は、上着を取りにあとへもどるな。
13:16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again in order to take up his garment.
13:17 その日には、身重の女と乳飲み子をもつ女とは、不幸である。
13:17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
13:18 この事が冬おこらぬように祈れ。
13:18 And pray all of you that your flight be not in the winter.
13:19 その日には、神が万物を造られた創造の初めから現在に至るまで、かつてなく今後もないような患難が起こるからである。
13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
13:20 もし主がその期間を縮めてくださらないなら。救われる者はひとりもないであろう。しかし、選ばれた選民のために、その期間を縮めてくださったのである。
13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days.
13:21 そのとき、だれかがあなたがたに『見よ、あそこにいる』と言っても、それを信じるな。
13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
13:22 にせキリストやにせ預言者たちが起こって、しるしと奇跡とを行い、できれば、選民をも惑わそうとするであろう。
13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
13:23 だから、気をつけていなさい。いっさいの事を、あなたがたに前もって言っておく。
13:23 But take all of you heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
13:24 その日には、この患難の後、日は暗くなり、月はその光を放つことをやめ、
13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
13:25 星は空から落ち、天体は揺り動かされるであろう。
13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
13:26 そのとき、大いなる力と栄光とをもって、人の子が雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見るであろう。
13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
13:27 そのとき、彼は御使たちをつかわして、地のはてから天のはてまで、四方にからその選民を呼び集めるであろう。
13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
13:28 いちじくの木からこの譬を学びなさい。その枝が柔らかになり、葉が出るようになると、夏が近いことがわかる。
13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, all of you know that summer is near:
13:29 そのように、これらの事が起こるのを見たならば、人の子が戸口まで近ずいているとしりなさい。
13:29 So all of you in like manner, when all of you shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
13:30 よく聞いておきなさい。これらの事が、ことごとく起こるまでは、この時代は滅びることがない。
13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
13:31 天地は滅びるであろう。しかしわたしの言葉は滅びることがない。
13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words (o. logos) shall not pass away.
13:32 その日、その時は、だれも知らない。天にいる御使たちも、また子も知らない。ただ父だけが知っておられる。
13:32 But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
13:33 気をつけて、目をさましていなさい。その時がいつであるか、あなたがたにはわからないからである。
13:33 Take all of you heed, watch and pray: for all of you know not when the time is.
13:34 それはちょうど、旅に立つ人が家を出るに当たり、その僕たちに、それぞれの仕事を割り当てて責任をもたせ、門番には目をさましておれと、命じるようなものである。
13:34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the gate keeper to watch.
13:35 だから、目をさましていなさい。いつ、家の主人が帰って来るのか、夕方か、夜中か、にわとりの鳴くころか、明け方か、わからないからである。
13:35 Watch all of you therefore: for all of you know not when the master of the house comes, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
13:36 あるいは急に帰ってきて、あなたがたの眠っているところを見つけるかも知れない。
13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
13:37 目をさましていなさい。わたしがあなたがたに言うこの言葉は、すべての人々に言うのである」。
13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

14:1 さて、過越と徐酵との祭の二日前になった。祭司長たちや律法学者たちは、策略をもってイエスを捕らえたうえ、なんとかして殺そうと計っていた。
14:1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
14:2 彼らは、「祭の間はいけない。民衆が騒ぎを起こすかも知れない」と言っていた。
14:2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
14:3 イエスがベタニヤで、らい病人シモンの家にいて、食卓についておられたとき、ひとりの女が、非常に高価で純粋なナルドの香油が入れてある石膏のつぼを持ってきて、それをこわし、香油をイエスの頭に注ぎかけた。
14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at food, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
14:4 すると、ある人々が憤って互いに言った、「なんのために香油をこんなにむだにするのか。
14:4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
14:5 この香油を三百デナリ以上にでも売って、貧しい人たちに施すことができたのに」、そして女をきびしくとがめた。
14:5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
14:6 するとイエスは言われた、「するままにさせておきなさい。なぜ女を困らせるのか。わたしによい事をしてくれたのだ。
14:6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble all of you her? she has wrought a good work on me.
14:7 貧しい人たちはいつもあなたがたと一緒にいるから、したいときにはいつでも、よい事をしてやれる。しかし、わたしはあなたがたといつも一緒にいるわけでではない。
14:7 For all of you have the poor with you always, and whenever all of you will all of you may do them good: but me all of you have not always.
14:8 この女はできる限りの事をしたのだ。すなわち、わたしのからだに油を注いで、あらかじめ葬りの用意をしてくれたのである。
14:8 She has done what she could: she has come beforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
14:9 よく聞きなさい。全世界のどこでも、福音が宣べ伝えられる所では、この女のした事も記念として語られるであろう」。
14:9 Verily I say unto you, Where ever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
14:10 ときに、十二弟子のひとりイスカリオテのユダは、イエスを祭司長たちに引きわたそうとして、彼らの所へ行った。
14:10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
14:11 彼らはこれを聞いて喜び、金を与えることを約束した。そこでユダは、どうかしてイエスを引き渡そうと、機会をねらっていた。
14:11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
14:12 徐酵祭の第一日、すなわち過越の小羊をほふる日に、弟子たちがイエスに尋ねた、「わたしたちは、過越の食事をなさる用意を、どこへ行ってしたらようでしょうか」。
14:12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the passover?
14:13 そこで、イエスはふたりの弟子を使いに出して言われた、「市内に行くと、水がめを持っている男に出会うであろう。その人について行きなさい。
14:13 And he sends forth two of his disciples, and says unto them, Go all of you into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14:14 そして、その人がはいって行く家の主人に言いなさい、『弟子たちと一緒に過越の食事をする座敷はどこか、と先生が言っておられます』。
14:14 And where ever he shall go in, say all of you to the goodman of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
14:15 するとその主人は、席を整えて用意された二階の広間を見せてくれるから、そこにわたしたちのために用意をしなさい」。
14:15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
14:16 弟子たちは出かけて市内に行って見ると、イエスが言われたとおりであったので、過越の食事の用意をした。
14:16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14:17 夕方になってイエスは十二弟子と一緒にそこに行かれた。
14:17 And in the evening he comes with the twelve.
14:18 そして、一同が席について食事をしているとき言われた、「特にあなたがたに言っておくが、あなたがたの中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に食事をしている者が、わたしを裏切ろうとしている」。
14:18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eats with me shall betray me.
14:19 弟子たちは心配して、ひとりびとり「まさか、わたしではないでしょう」と言い出した。
14:19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
14:20 イエスは言われた、「十二人の中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に同じ鉢にパンをひたしている者が、それである。
14:20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dips with me in the dish.
14:21 たしかに人の子は、自分について書いてあるとおりに去っていく。しかし、人の子を裏切るその人は、わざわいである。その人は生まれなかった方が、彼のためによかったであろう」。
14:21 The Son of man indeed goes, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
14:22 一同が食事をしているとき、イエスはパンを取り、祝福してこれをさき、弟子たちに与えて言われた、「取れ、これはわたしのからだである」。
14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
14:23 また杯を取り、感謝して彼らに与えられると、一同はその杯から飲んだ。
14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
14:24 イエスはまた言われた、「これは、多くの人のために流すわたしの契約の血である。
14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
14:25 あなたがたによく言っておく。神の国で新しく飲むその日までは、わたしは決して二度と、ぶどうの実から造ったものを飲むことをしない」。
14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
14:26 彼らは、さんびを歌った後、オリブ山へ出かけていった。
14:26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
14:27 そのとき、イエスは弟子たちに言われた、「あなたがたは皆、わたしにつまずくであろう。『わたしは羊飼を打つ。そして、羊は散らされるであろう』と書いてあるからである。
14:27 And Jesus says unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
14:28 しかしわたしは、よみがえってから、あなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行くであろう」。
14:28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
14:29 するとペテロはイエスに言った、「たとい、みんなの者がつまずいても、わたしはつまずきません」。
14:29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
14:30 イエスは言われた、「あなたによく言っておく。きょう、今夜、にわとりが二度鳴く前に、そう言うあなたが、三度わたしを知らないと言うだろう」。
14:30 And Jesus says unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, you shall deny me three times.
14:31 ペテロは力をこめて言った、「たといあなたと一緒に死なねばならなくなっても、あなたを知らないなどとは、決して申しません」。みんなの者もまた、同じようなことを言った。
14:31 But he spoke the more vehemently, If I should die with you, I will not deny you in any way. Likewise also said they all.
14:32 さて、一同はゲッセマネという所にきた。そしてイエスは弟子たちに言われた、「わたしが祈っている間、ここにすわっていなさい」。
14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he says to his disciples, Sit all of you here, while I shall pray.
14:33 そしてペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネを一緒に連れて行かれたが、恐れおののき、また悩みはじめて、彼らに言われた、
14:33 And he takes with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
14:34 「わたしは悲しみのあまり死ぬほどである。ここで待っていて、目をさましていなさい」。
14:34 And says unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch.
14:35 そして少し進んで行き、地にひれ伏し、もしできることなら、この時を過ぎ去らせてくださるようにと祈りつづけ、そして言われた、
14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
14:36 「アバ、父よ、あなたには、できないことがありません。どうか、この杯をわたしから取りのけてください。しかし、わたしの思いではなく、みこころのままになさってください」。
14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.
14:37 それから、きてごらんになると、弟子たちが眠っていたので、ペテロに言われた、「シモンよ、眠っているのか、ひと時も目をさましていることができなかったのか。
14:37 And he comes, and finds them sleeping, and says unto Peter, Simon, sleep you? could not you watch one hour?
14:38 誘惑に陥らないように、目をさまして祈っていなさい。心は熱しているが肉体は弱いのである」。
14:38 Watch all of you and pray, lest all of you enter into temptation. The spirit (o. pneuma) truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
14:39 また離れて行って同じ言葉で祈られた。
14:39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words. (o. logos)
14:40 またきてごらんになると、彼らはまだ眠っていた。その目が重くなっていたのである。そして、彼らはどうお答してよいか、わからなかった。
14:40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither know they what to answer him.
14:41 三度目にきて言われた、「まだ眠っているのか、休んでいるのか。もうそれでよかろう。時がきた。見よ、人の子は罪人らの手に渡されるのだ。
14:41 And he comes the third time, and says unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour has come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
14:42 立て、さあ行こう。見よ、わたしを裏切る者が近づいてきた」。
14:42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrays me is at hand.
14:43 そしてすぐ、イエスがまだ話しておられるうちに、十二弟子のひとりのユダが進みよってきた。また祭司長、律法学者、長老たちから送られた群衆も、剣と棒とを持って彼についてきた。
14:43 And immediately, while he yet spoke, comes Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
14:44 イエスを裏切る者は、あらがじめ彼らに合図しておいた、「らたしの接吻する者が、その人だ。その人をつかまえて、またがいなく引っぱって行け」。
14:44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
14:45 彼は来るとすぐ、イエスに近寄り、「先生」と言って接吻した。
14:45 And as soon as he was come, he goes immediately to him, and says, Master, master; and kissed him.
14:46 人々はイエスに手をかけてつかまえた。
14:46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
14:47 すると、イエスのそばに立っていた者のひとりが、剣を抜いて大祭司の僕に切りかかり、その方耳を切り落とした。
14:47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and stroke a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
14:48 イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「あなたがたは強盗にむかうように、剣や棒を持ってわたしを捕らえにきたのか。
14:48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are all of you come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
14:49 わたしは毎日あなたがたと一緒に宮にいて教えていたのに、わたしをつかまえはしなかった。しかし聖書の言葉は成就されねばならない」。
14:49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and all of you took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
14:50 弟子たちは皆イエスを見捨てて逃げ去った。
14:50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
14:51 ときに、ある若者が身に亜麻布をまとって、イエスのあとについて行ったが、人々が彼をつかまえようとしたので、
14:51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
14:52 その亜麻布を捨てて、裸で逃げて行った。
14:52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
14:53 それから、イエスを大祭司のところに連れていくと、祭司長、長老、律法学者たちがみな集まってきた。
14:53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
14:54 ペテロは遠くからイエスについて行って、大祭司の中庭まではいり込み、その下役どもにまじってすわり、火にあたっていた。
14:54 And Peter followed him far off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
14:55 さて、祭司長たちと全議会とは、イエスを死刑にするために、イエスに不利な証拠を見つけようとしたが、得られなかった。
14:55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
14:56 多くの者がイエスに対して偽証を立てたが、その証言が合わなかったからである。
14:56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
14:57 ついに、ある人々が立ちあがり、イエスに対して偽証を立てて言った、
14:57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
14:58 「わたしたちはこの人が『わたしは手で造ったこの神殿を打ちこわし、三日の後に手で造られない別の神殿を建てるのだ』と言うのを聞きました」。
14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
14:59 しかし、このような証言も互いに合わなかった。
14:59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
14:60 そこで大祭司が立ちあがって、まん中に進み、イエスに聞きただして言った、「何も答えないのか。これらの人々があなたに対して不利な証言を申し立てているが、どうなのか」。
14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?
14:61 しかし、イエスは黙っていて、何もお答にならなかった。大祭司が再び聞きただして言った、「あなたは、ほむべき者の子、キリストであるか」。
14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
14:62 イエスは言われた、「わたしがそれである。あなたがたは人の子が力ある者の右に座し、天の雲に乗って来るのを見るであろう」。
14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and all of you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
14:63 すると、大祭司はその衣を引き裂いて言った、「どうして、これ以上、証人の必要があろう。
14:63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and says, What need we any further witnesses?
14:64 あなたがたの意見はどうか」。すると、彼らは皆、イエスを死に当たる者と断定した。
14:64 All of you have heard the blasphemy: what think all of you? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
14:65 そして、ある者はイエスにつばをかけ、目隠しをし、こぶしでたたいて、「言いあててみよ」と言いはじめた。また下役どもはイエスを引きとって、手のひらでたたいた。
14:65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
14:66 ペテロは下で中庭にいたが、大祭司の女中のひとりがきて、
14:66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there comes one of the maids of the high priest:
14:67 ペテロが火にあたっているのを見ると、彼を見つめて、「あなたもあのナザレ人イエスと一緒だった」と言った。
14:67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And you also were with Jesus of Nazareth.
14:68 するとペテロはそれを打ち消して、「わたしは知らない。あなたの言うことがなんの事か、わからない」と言って、庭口の方に出て行った。
14:68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what you says. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
14:69 ところが、先の女中が彼を見て、そばに立っていた人々に、またもや「この人はあの仲間のひとりです」と言いだした。
14:69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
14:70 ペテロは再びそれを打ち消した。しばらくして、そばに立っていた人たちがまたペテロに言った、「確かにあなたは彼らの仲間だ。あなたもガリラヤ人だから」。
14:70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely you are one of them: for you are a Galilaean, and your speech agrees thereto.
14:71 しかし、彼は、「あなたがたの話しているその人のことは何も知らない」と言い張って、激しく誓いはじめた。
14:71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom all of you speak.
14:72 するとすぐ、にわとりが二度目に鳴いた。ペテロは、「にわとりが二度鳴く前に、三度わたしを知らないと言うであろう」と言われたイエスの言葉を思い出し、そして思いかえして泣きつづけた。
14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word (o. rhema) that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, you shall deny me three times. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

15:1 夜が明けるとすぐ、祭司長たちは長老、律法学者たち、および全議会と協議をこらした末、イエスを縛って引き出し、ピラトに渡した。
15:1 And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
15:2 ピラトはイエスに尋ねた、「あなたがユダヤ人の王であるか」。イエスは、「そのとおりである」とお答になった。
15:2 And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, You says it.
15:3 そこで祭司長たちは、イエスのことをいろいろと訴えた。
15:3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
15:4 ピラトはもう一度イエスに尋ねた、「何も答えないのか。見よ、あなたに対してあんなにまで次々に訴えているではないか」。
15:4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answer you nothing? behold how many things they witness against you.
15:5 しかし、イエスはピラトが不思議に思うほどに、もう何もお答にならなかった。
15:5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
15:6 さて、祭のたびごとに、ピラトは人々が願い出る囚人ひとりを、ゆるしてやることにしていた。
15:6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
15:7 ここに、暴動を起し人殺しをしてつながれていた暴徒の中に、バラバという者がいた。
15:7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
15:8 群衆が押しかけてきて、いつものとおりにしてほしいと要求しはじめたので、
15:8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
15:9 ピラトは彼らにむかって、「おまえたちはユダヤ人の王をゆるしてもらいたいのか」と言った。
15:9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will all of you that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
15:10 それは、祭司長たちがイエスを引き渡したのは、ねたみのためであることが、ピラトにわかっていたからである。
15:10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
15:11 しかし祭司長たちは、バラバの方をゆるしてもらうように、群衆を煽動した。
15:11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
15:12 そこでピラトはまた彼らに言った、「それでは、おまえたちがユダヤ人の王と呼んでいるあの人は、どうしたらよいか」。
15:12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will all of you then that I shall do unto him whom all of you call the King of the Jews?
15:13 彼らは、また叫んだ、「十字架につけよ」。
15:13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
15:14 ピラトは言った、「あの人は、いったい、どんな悪事をしたのか」。すると、彼らは一そう激しく叫んで、「十字架につけよ」と言った。
15:14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil has he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
15:15 それで、ピラトは群衆を満足させようと思って、バラバをゆるしてやり、イエスをむち打ったのち、十字架につけるために引きわたした。
15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
15:16 兵士たちはイエスを、邸宅、すなわち総督官邸の内に連れて行き、全部隊を呼び集めた。
15:16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
15:17 そしてイエスに紫の衣を着せ、いばらの冠を編んでかぶせ、
15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and intertwined a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
15:18 「ユダヤ人の王、ばんざい」と言って敬礼をしはじめた。
15:18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
15:19 また、葦の棒でその頭をたたき、つばをかけ、ひざきずいて拝んだりした。
15:19 And they stroke him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
15:20 こうして、イエスを嘲弄したあげげく、紫の衣をはぎとり、元の上着を着せた。それから、彼らはイエスを十字架につけるために引き出した。
15:20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
15:21 そこへ、アレキサンデルとルポスとの父シモンというグレネ人が、郊外からきて通りかかったので、人々はイエスの十字架を無理に負わせた。
15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
15:22 そしてイエスをゴルゴタ、その意味は、されこうべ、という所に連れて行った。
15:22 And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
15:23 そしてイエスに没薬をまぜたぶどう酒をさし出したが、お受けにならなかった。
15:23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
15:24 それから、イエスを十字架につけた。そしてくじを引いて、だれが何を取るかを定めたうえ、イエスの着物を分けた。
15:24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
15:25 イエスを十字架につけたのは、朝九時ごろであった。
15:25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
15:26 イエスの罪状書きには「ユダヤ人の王」と、しるしてあった。
15:26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
15:27 また、イエスと共にふたりの強盗を、ひとりは右に、ひとりは左に、十字架につけた。
15:27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
15:28 〔こうして「彼は罪人たちのひとりに数えられた」と書いてある言葉が成就したのである。〕
15:28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
15:29 そこを通りかかった者たちは、頭を振りながら、イエスをののしって言った、「ああ、神殿を打ちこわして三日のうちに建てる者よ、
15:29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you that destroys the temple, and build it in three days,
15:30 十字架からおりてきて自分を救え」。
15:30 Save yourself, and come down from the cross.
15:31 祭司長たちも同じように、律法学者たちと一緒になって、かわるがわる嘲弄して言った、「他人を救ったが、自分自身を救うことができない。
15:31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
15:32 イスラエルの王キリスト、いま十字架からおりてみるがよい。それを見たら信じよう」。また、一緒に十字架につけられた者たちも、イエスをののしった。
15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
15:33 昼の十二時になると、全地は暗くなって、三時に及んだ。
15:33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
15:34 そして三時に、イエスは大声で、「エロイ、エロイ、ラマ、サバクタニ」と呼ばれた。それは「わが神、わが神、どうしてわたしをお見捨てになったのですか」という意味である。
15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
15:35 すると、そばに立っていたある人々が、これを聞いて言った、「そら、エリヤを呼んでいる」。
15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calls Elijah.
15:36 ひとりの人が走って行き、海綿に酢いぶどう酒を含ませて葦の棒につけ、イエスに飲ませようとして言った、「待て、エリヤが彼をおろしに来るかどうか、見ていよう」。
15:36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.
15:37 イエスは声高く叫んで、ついに息をひきとられた。
15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.
15:38 そのとき、神殿の幕が上から下まで真二つに裂けた。
15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
15:39 イエスに向かって立っていた百卒長は、このように息をひきとられたのを見て言った、「まことに、この人は神の子であった」。
15:39 And when the centurion, which stood opposite to him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the spirit, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
15:40 また、遠くの方から見ていた女たちもいた。その中には、マグダラのマリヤ、小ヤコブとヨセフの母マリヤ、またサロメがいた。
15:40 There were also women looking on far off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
1541彼らはイエスがガリラヤにおられたとき、そのあとに従って仕えた女たちであった。なおそのほか、イエスと共にエルサレムに上ってきた多くの女たちもいた。
15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
15:42 さて、すでに夕がたになったが、その日は準備の日、すなわち安息日の前日であったので、
15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
15:43 アリマタヤのヨセフが大胆にもピラトの所へ行き、イエスのからだの引取りかたを願った。彼は地位の高い議員であって、彼自身、神の国を待ち望んでいる人であった。
15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
15:44 ピラトは、イエスがもはや死んでしまったのかと不審に思い、百卒長を呼んで、もう死んだのかと尋ねた。
15:44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
15:45 そして、百卒長から確かめた上、死体をヨセフに渡した。
15:45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
15:46 そこで、ヨセフは亜麻布を買い求め、イエスをとりおろして、その亜麻布に包み、岩を掘って造った墓に納め、墓の入口に石をころがしておてた。
15:46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a tomb which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the tomb.
15:47 マグダラのマリヤとヨセの母マリヤとは、イエスが納められた場所を見とどけた。
15:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

16:1 さて、安息日が終わったので、マグダラのマリヤとヤコブの母マリヤとサロメとが、行ってイエスに塗るための香料を買い求めた。
16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
16:2 そして週の初めの日に、早朝、日の出のころ墓に行った。
16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the tomb at the rising of the sun.
16:3 そして、彼らは「だれが、わたしたちのために、墓の入り口から石をころがしてくれるのでしょうか」と話し合っていた。
16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the tomb?
16:4 ところが、目をあげて見ると、石はすでにころがしてあった。この石は非常に大きかった。
16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
16:5 墓の中にはいると、右手に真白な長い衣をきた若者がすわっているのを見て、非常に驚いた。
16:5 And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
16:6 するとこの若者は言った、「驚くことはない。あなたがたは十字架につけられたナザレ人イエスを捜しているのであろうが、イエスはよみがえって、ここにはおられない。ごらんなさい、ここがお納めした場所である。
16:6 And he says unto them, Be not affrighted: All of you seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he has risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
16:7 今から弟子たちとペテロとの所へ行って、こう伝えなさい。イエスはあなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行かれる。かねて、あなたがたに言われたとおり、そこでお会いできるであろう、と」。
16:7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goes before you into Galilee: there shall all of you see him, as he said unto you.
16:8 女たちはおののき恐れながら、墓から出て逃げ去った。そして、人には何も言わなかった。恐ろしかったからである。
16:8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the tomb; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
16:9 〔週の初めの日の朝早く、イエスはよみがえって、まずマグダラのマリヤに御自身をあらわされた。イエスは以前に、この女から七つの悪霊を追い出されたことがある。
16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
16:10 マリヤは、イエスと一緒にいた人々が泣き悲しんでいる所に行って、それを知らせた。
16:10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
16:11 彼らは、イエスが生きておられる事と、彼女に御自身をあらわされた事とを聞いたが、信じなかった。
16:11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
16:12 この後、そのうちのふたりが、いなかの方へ歩いていると、イエスはちがった姿で御自身をあらわされた。
16:12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
16:13 このふたりも、ほかの人々の所に行って話したが、彼らは信じなかった。
16:13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
16:14 その後、イエスは十一弟子が食卓についているところに現れ、彼らの不信仰と、心のかたくななことをお責めになった。彼らは、よみがえられたイエスを見た人々の言うことを、信じなかったからである。
16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at food, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
16:15 そして彼らに言われた。「全世界に出て行って、すべての造られたもに福音を宣べ伝えよ。
16:15 And he said unto them, Go all of you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16:16 信じてバプテスマを受ける者は救われる。しかし、不信仰の者は罪に定められる。
16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.
16:17 信じる者には、このようなしるしが伴う。すなわち、彼らはわたしの名で悪霊を追い出し、新しい言葉を語り、
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
16:18 へびをつかむであろう。また、毒を飲んでも、決して害を受けない。病人に手をおけば、いやされる」。
16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
16:19 主イエスは彼らに語り終わってから、天にあげられ、神の右に座られた。
16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
16:20 弟子たちは出て行って、至る所で福音を宣べ伝えた。主も彼らと共に働き、御言に伴うしるしをもって、その確かなことをお示しになった。〕
16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word (o. logos) with signs following. Amen.
