1:1 PABLO y Timoteo, siervos de Jesucristo, á todos los santos en Cristo Jesús que están en Filipos, con los obispos y diáconos
1:1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
1:2 Gracia sea á vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 Doy gracias á mi Dios en toda memoria de vosotros,
1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
1:4 Siempre en todas mis oraciones haciendo oración por todos vosotros con gozo,
1:4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
1:5 Por vuestra comunión en el evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora:
1:5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
1:6 Estando confiado de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;
1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
1:7 Como me es justo sentir esto de todos vosotros, por cuanto os tengo en el corazón; y en mis prisiones, y en la defensa y confirmación del evangelio, sois todos vosotros compañeros de mi gracia.
1:7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, all of you all are partakers of my grace.
1:8 Porque Dios me es testigo de cómo os amo á todos vosotros en las entrañas de Jesucristo.
1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
1:9 Y esto ruego, que vuestro amor abunde aun más y más en ciencia y en todo conocimiento,
1:9 And this I pray, that your love (o. agape) may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
1:10 Para que discernáis lo mejor; que seáis sinceros y sin ofensa para el día de Cristo;
1:10 That all of you may approve things that are excellent; that all of you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
1:11 Llenos de frutos de justicia, que son por Jesucristo, á gloria y loor de Dios.
1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
1:12 Y quiero, hermanos, que sepáis que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado más en provecho del evangelio;
1:12 But I would all of you should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
1:13 De manera que mis prisiones han sido célebres en Cristo en todo el pretorio, y á todos los demás;
1:13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
1:14 Y muchos de los hermanos en el Señor, tomando ánimo con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más á hablar la palabra sin temor.
1:14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word (o. logos) without fear.
1:15 Y algunos, á la verdad, predican á Cristo por envidia y porfía; mas algunos también por buena voluntad.
1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
1:16 Los unos anuncian á Cristo por contención, no sinceramente, pensando añadir aflicción á mis prisiones;
1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
1:17 Pero los otros por amor, sabiendo que soy puesto por la defensa del evangelio.
1:17 But the other of love, (o. agape) knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
1:18 ¿Qué pues? Que no obstante, en todas maneras, ó por pretexto ó por verdad, es anunciado Cristo; y en esto me huelgo, y aun me holgaré.
1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
1:19 Porque sé que esto se me tornará á salud, por vuestra oración, y por la suministración del Espíritu de Jesucristo;
1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of Jesus Christ,
1:20 Conforme á mi mira y esperanza, que en nada seré confundido; antes bien con toda confianza, como siempre, ahora también será engrandecido Cristo en mi cuerpo, ó por vida, ó por muerte.
1:20 According to my earn expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
1:21 Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.
1:21 In order to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
1:22 Mas si el vivir en la carne, esto me será para fruto de la obra, no sé entonces qué escoger;
1:22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I know not.
1:23 Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de ser desatado, y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor:
1:23 For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
1:24 Empero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros.
1:24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you.
1:25 Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aun permaneceré con todos vosotros, para provecho vuestro y gozo de la fe;
1:25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
1:26 Para que crezca vuestra gloria de mí en Cristo Jesús por mi venida otra vez á vosotros.
1:26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
1:27 Solamente que converséis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo; para que, ó sea que vaya á veros, ó que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, unánimes combatiendo juntamente por la fe del evangelio,
1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that all of you stand fast in one spirit, (o. pneuma) with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
1:28 Y en nada intimidados de los que se oponen: que á ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas á vosotros de salud; y esto de Dios;
1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
1:29 Porque á vosotros es concedido por Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él,
1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
1:30 Teniendo el mismo conflicto que habéis visto en mí, y ahora oís estar en mí.
1:30 Having the same conflict which all of you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Philippians / FILIPENSES
2:1 POR tanto, si hay alguna consolación en Cristo; si algún refrigerio de amor; si alguna comunión del Espíritu; si algunas entrañas y misericordias,
2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, (o. agape) if any fellowship of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) if any bowels and mercies,
2:2 Cumplid mi gozo; que sintáis lo mismo, teniendo el mismo amor, unánimes, sintiendo una misma cosa.
2:2 Fulfill all of you my joy, that all of you be likeminded, having the same love, (o. agape) being of one accord, of one mind.
2:3 Nada hagáis por contienda ó por vanagloria; antes bien en humildad, estimándoos inferiores los unos á los otros:
2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
2:4 No mirando cada uno á lo suyo propio, sino cada cual también á lo de los otros.
2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
2:5 Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús:
2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2:6 El cual, siendo en forma de Dios, no tuvo por usurpación ser igual á Dios:
2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
2:7 Sin embargo, se anonadó á sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante á los hombres;
2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
2:8 Y hallado en la condición como hombre, se humilló á sí mismo, hecho obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz.
2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Por lo cual Dios también le ensalzó á lo sumo, y dióle un nombre que es sobre todo nombre;
2:9 Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
2:10 Para que en el nombre de Jesús se doble toda rodilla de los que están en los cielos, y de los que en la tierra, y de los que debajo de la tierra;
2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
2:11 Y toda lengua confiese que Jesucristo es el Señor, á la gloria de Dios Padre.
2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
2:12 Por tanto, amados míos, como siempre habéis obedecido, no como en mi presencia solamente, sino mucho más ahora en mi ausencia, ocupaos en vuestra salvación con temor y temblor;
2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
2:13 Porque Dios es el que en vosotros obra así el querer como el hacer, por su buena voluntad.
2:13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
2:14 Haced todo sin murmuraciones y contiendas,
2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
2:15 Para que seáis irreprensibles y sencillos, hijos de Dios sin culpa en medio de la nación maligna y perversa, entre los cuales resplandecéis como luminares en el mundo;
2:15 That all of you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom all of you shine as lights in the world;
2:16 Reteniendo la palabra de vida para que yo pueda gloriarme en el día de Cristo, que no he corrido en vano, ni trabajado en vano.
2:16 Holding forth the word (o. logos) of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
2:17 Y aun si soy derramado en libación sobre el sacrificio y servicio de vuestra fe, me gozo y congratulo por todos vosotros.
2:17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
2:18 Y asimismo gozaos también vosotros, y regocijaos conmigo.
2:18 For the same cause also do all of you joy, and rejoice with me.
2:19 Mas espero en el Señor Jesús enviaros presto á Timoteo, para que yo también esté de buen ánimo, entendido vuestro estado.
2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
2:20 Porque á ninguno tengo tan unánime, y que con sincera afición esté solícito por vosotros.
2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
2:21 Porque todos buscan lo suyo propio, no lo que es de Cristo Jesús.
2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
2:22 Pero la experiencia de él habéis conocido, que como hijo á padre ha servido conmigo en el evangelio.
2:22 But all of you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
2:23 Así que á éste espero enviaros, luego que yo viere cómo van mis negocios;
2:23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
2:24 Y confío en el Señor que yo también iré presto á vosotros.
2:24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
2:25 Mas tuve por cosa necesaria enviaros á Epafrodito, mi hermano, y colaborador y compañero de milicia, y vuestro mensajero, y ministrador de mis necesidades;
2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
2:26 Porque tenía gran deseo de ver á todos vosotros, y gravemente se angustió porque habíais oído que había enfermado.
2:26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that all of you had heard that he had been sick.
2:27 Pues en verdad estuvo enfermo á la muerte: mas Dios tuvo misericordia de él; y no solamente de él, sino aun de mí, para que yo no tuviese tristeza sobre tristeza.
2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
2:28 Así que le envío más presto, para que viéndole os volváis á gozar, y yo esté con menos tristeza.
2:28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when all of you see him again, all of you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
2:29 Recibidle pues en el Señor con todo gozo; y tened en estima á los tales:
2:29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
2:30 Porque por la obra de Cristo estuvo cercano á la muerte, poniendo su vida para suplir vuestra falta en mi servicio.
2:30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
Philippians / FILIPENSES
3:1 RESTA, hermanos, que os gocéis en el Señor. A mí, á la verdad, no es molesto el escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es seguro.
3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
3:2 Guardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos del cortamiento.
3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3:3 Porque nosotros somos la circuncisión, los que servimos en espíritu á Dios, y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesús, no teniendo confianza en la carne.
3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
3:4 Aunque yo tengo también de qué confiar en la carne. Si alguno parece que tiene de qué confiar en la carne, yo más:
3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
3:5 Circuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, Hebreo de Hebreos; cuanto á la ley, Fariseo;
3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as concerning the law, a Pharisee;
3:6 Cuanto al celo, perseguidor de la iglesia; cuanto á la justicia que es en la ley, irreprensible.
3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
3:7 Pero las cosas que para mí eran ganancias, helas reputado pérdidas por amor de Cristo.
3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
3:8 Y ciertamente, aun reputo todas las cosas pérdida por el eminente conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor, por amor del cual lo he perdido todo, y téngolo por estiércol, para ganar á Cristo,
3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
3:9 Y ser hallado en él, no teniendo mi justicia, que es por la ley, sino la que es por la fe de Cristo, la justicia que es de Dios por la fe;
3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
3:10 A fin de conocerle, y la virtud de su resurrección, y la participación de sus padecimientos, en conformidad á su muerte,
3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
3:11 Si en alguna manera llegase á la resurrección de los muertos.
3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
3:12 No que ya haya alcanzado, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si alcanzo aquello para lo cual fuí también alcanzado de Cristo Jesús.
3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
3:13 Hermanos, yo mismo no hago cuenta de haber lo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome á lo que está delante,
3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
3:14 Prosigo al blanco, al premio de la soberana vocación de Dios en Cristo Jesús.
3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
3:15 Así que, todos los que somos perfectos, esto mismo sintamos: y si otra cosa sentís, esto también os revelará Dios.
3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing all of you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
3:16 Empero en aquello á que hemos llegado, vamos por la misma regla, sintamos una misma cosa.
3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
3:17 Hermanos, sed imitadores de mí, y mirad los que así anduvieren como nos tenéis por ejemplo.
3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as all of you have us for an example.
3:18 Porque muchos andan, de los cuales os dije muchas veces, y aun ahora lo digo llorando, que son enemigos de la cruz de Cristo:
3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
3:19 Cuyo fin será perdición, cuyo dios es el vientre, y su gloria es en confusión; que sienten lo terreno.
3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
3:20 Mas nuestra vivienda es en los cielos; de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo;
3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
3:21 El cual transformará el cuerpo de nuestra bajeza, para ser semejante al cuerpo de su gloria, por la operación con la cual puede también sujetar á sí todas las cosas.
3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Philippians / FILIPENSES
4:1 ASI que, hermanos míos amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, estad así firmes en el Señor, amados.
4:1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
4:2 A Euodias ruego, y á Syntychê exhorto, que sientan lo mismo en el Señor.
4:2 I plead to Euodias, and plead to Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
4:3 Asimismo te ruego también á ti, hermano compañero, ayuda á las que trabajaron juntamente conmigo en el evangelio, con Clemente también, y los demás mis colaboradores, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.
4:3 And I implore you also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4:4 Gozaos en el Señor siempre: otra vez digo: Que os gocéis.
4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
4:5 Vuestra modestia sea conocida de todos los hombres. El Señor está cerca.
4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
4:6 Por nada estéis afanosos; sino sean notorias vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con hacimiento de gracias.
4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
4:7 Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepuja todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros entendimientos en Cristo Jesús.
4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4:8 Por lo demás, hermanos, todo lo que es verdadero, todo lo honesto, todo lo justo, todo lo puro, todo lo amable, todo lo que es de buen nombre; si hay virtud alguna, si alguna alabanza, en esto pensad.
4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
4:9 Lo que aprendisteis y recibisteis y oísteis y visteis en mí, esto haced; y el Dios de paz será con vosotros.
4:9 Those things, which all of you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
4:10 Mas en gran manera me gocé en el Señor de que ya al fin ha reflorecido vuestro cuidado de mí; de lo cual aun estabais solícitos, pero os faltaba la oportunidad.
4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me has flourished again; wherein all of you were also careful, but all of you lacked opportunity.
4:11 No lo digo en razón de indigencia, pues he aprendido á contentarme con lo que tengo.
4:11 Not that I speak in respect of lack: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
4:12 Sé estar humillado, y sé tener abundancia: en todo y por todo estoy enseñado, así para hartura como para hambre, así para tener abundancia como para padecer necesidad.
4:12 I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
4:13 Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece.
4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
4:14 Sin embargo, bien hicisteis que comunicasteis juntamente á mi tribulación.
4:14 Notwithstanding all of you have well done, that all of you did communicate with my affliction.
4:15 Y sabéis también vosotros, oh Filipenses, que al principio del evangelio, cuando partí de Macedonia, ninguna iglesia me comunicó en razón de dar y recibir, sino vosotros solos.
4:15 Now all of you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning (o. logos) giving and receiving, but all of you only.
4:16 Porque aun á Tesalónica me enviasteis lo necesario una y dos veces.
4:16 For even in Thessalonica all of you sent once and again unto my necessity.
4:17 No porque busque dádivas; mas busco fruto que abunde en vuestra cuenta.
4:17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. (o. logos)
4:18 Empero todo lo he recibido, y tengo abundancia: estoy lleno, habiendo recibido de Epafrodito lo que enviasteis, olor de suavidad, sacrificio acepto, agradable á Dios.
4:18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.
4:19 Mi Dios, pues, suplirá todo lo que os falta conforme á sus riquezas en gloria en Cristo Jesús.
4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
4:20 Al Dios pues y Padre nuestro sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
4:20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
4:21 Saludad á todos los santos en Cristo Jesús. Los hermanos que están conmigo os saludan.
4:21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
4:22 Todos los santos os saludan, y mayormente los que son de casa de César.
4:22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
4:23 La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
4:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. #@#
