Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
15:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
15:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
15:2 Hijo del hombre, ¿qué es el palo de la vid más que todo palo? ¿qué es el sarmiento entre los maderos del bosque?
15:2 Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
15:3 ¿Tomarán de él madera para hacer alguna obra? ¿tomarán de él una estaca para colgar de ella algún vaso?
15:3 Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
15:4 He aquí, que es puesto en el fuego para ser consumido; sus dos cabos consumió el fuego, y la parte del medio se quemó; ¿aprovechará para obra alguna?
15:4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devours both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
15:5 He aquí que cuando estaba entero no era para obra alguna: ¿cuánto menos después que el fuego lo hubiere consumido, y fuere quemado? ¿será más para alguna obra?
15:5 Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned?
15:6 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Como el palo de la vid entre los maderos del bosque, el cual dí al fuego para que lo consuma, así haré á los moradores de Jerusalem.
15:6 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15:7 Y pondré mi rostro contra ellos; de fuego salieron, y fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere mi rostro contra ellos.
15:7 And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and all of you shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
15:8 Y tornaré la tierra en asolamiento, por cuanto cometieron prevaricación, dice el Señor Jehová.
15:8 And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord GOD.

16:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
16:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
16:2 Hijo del hombre, notifica á Jerusalem sus abominaciones,
16:2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
16:3 Y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová sobre Jerusalem: Tu habitación y tu raza fué de la tierra de Canaán; tu padre Amorrheo, y tu madre Hethea.
16:3 And say, Thus says the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Your birth and your nativity is of the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite, and your mother an Hittite.
16:4 Y cuanto á tu nacimiento, el día que naciste no fué cortado tu ombligo, ni fuiste lavada con aguas para atemperarte, ni salada con sal, ni fuiste envuelta con fajas.
16:4 And as for your nativity, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to clean you; you were not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
16:5 No hubo ojo que se compadeciese de ti, para hacerte algo de esto, teniendo de ti misericordia; sino que fuiste echada sobre la haz del campo, con menosprecio de tu vida, en el día que naciste.
16:5 None eye pitied you, to do any of these unto you, to have compassion upon you; but you were cast out in the open field, to the loathing of your person, in the day that you were born.
16:6 Y yo pasé junto á ti, y te vi sucia en tus sangres, y díjete: En tus sangres, vive; vive, díjete, en tus sangres.
16:6 And when I passed by you, and saw you polluted in yours own blood, I said unto you when you were in your blood, Live; yea, I said unto you when you were in your blood, Live.
16:7 En millares como la hierba del campo te puse, y fuiste aumentada y engrandecida, y viniste á ser adornada grandemente; los pechos te crecieron, y tu pelo brotó; mas tú estabas desnuda y descubierta.
16:7 I have caused you to multiply as the bud of the field, and you have increased and becoming great, and you are come to excellent ornaments: your breasts are fashioned, and yours hair is grown, whereas you were naked and bare.
16:8 Y pasé yo junto á ti, y te miré, y he aquí que tu tiempo era tiempo de amores; y extendí mi manto sobre ti, y cubrí tu desnudez; y díte juramento, y entré en concierto contigo, dice el Señor Jehová, y fuiste mía:
16:8 Now when I passed by you, and looked upon you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yea, I swore unto you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord GOD, and you became mine.
16:9 Y te lavé con agua, y lavé tus sangres de encima de ti, y ungíte con aceite;
16:9 Then washed I you with water; yea, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.
16:10 Y te vestí de bordado, y te calcé de tejón, y ceñíte de lino, y te vestí de seda.
16:10 I clothed you also with broidered work, and shod you with badgers' skin, and I girded you about with fine linen, and I covered you with silk.
16:11 Y te atavíe con ornamentos, y puse ajorcas en tus brazos, y collar á tu cuello;
16:11 I decked you also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon your hands, and a chain on your neck.
16:12 Y puse joyas sobre tus narices, y zarcillos en tus orejas, y diadema de hermosura en tu cabeza.
16:12 And I put a jewel on your forehead, and earrings in yours ears, and a beautiful crown upon yours head.
16:13 Y fuiste adornada de oro y de plata, y tu vestido fué lino, y seda, y bordado; comiste flor de harina de trigo, y miel, y aceite; y fuiste hermoseada en extremo, y has prosperado hasta reinar.
16:13 Thus were you decked with gold and silver; and your raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; you did eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and you were exceeding beautiful, and you did prosper into a kingdom.
16:14 Y salióte nombradía entre las gentes á causa de tu hermosura; porque era perfecta, á causa de mi hermosura que yo puse sobre ti, dice el Señor Jehová.
16:14 And your renown went forth among the heathen for your beauty: for it was perfect through my loveliness, which I had put upon you, says the Lord GOD.
16:15 Mas confiaste en tu hermosura, y fornicaste á causa de tu nombradía, y derramaste tus fornicaciones á cuantos pasaron; suya eras.
16:15 But you did trust in yours own beauty, and played the harlot because of your renown, and poured out your fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
16:16 Y tomaste de tus vestidos, e hicístete diversos altos lugares, y fornicaste en ellos: cosa semejante no vendrá, ni será así.
16:16 And of your garments you did take, and decked your high places with divers colours, and played the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
16:17 Tomaste asimismo los vasos de tu hermosura de mi oro y de mi plata, que yo te había dado, é hicístete imágenes de hombre, y fornicaste con ellas.
16:17 You have also taken your fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made to yourself images of men, and did commit whoredom with them,
16:18 Y tomaste tus vestidos de diversos colores, y cubrístelas; y mi aceite y mi perfume pusiste delante de ellas.
16:18 And took your broidered garments, and covered them: and you have set mine oil and mine incense before them.
16:19 Mi pan también, que yo te había dado, la flor de la harina, y el aceite, y la miel, con que yo te mantuve, pusiste delante de ellas para olor suave; y fué así, dice el Señor Jehová.
16:19 My food also which I gave you, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed you, you have even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, says the Lord GOD.
16:20 Demás de esto, tomaste tus hijos y tus hijas que me habías engendrado, y los sacrificaste á ellas para consumación. ¿Es poco, esto de tus fornicaciones?
16:20 Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne unto me, and these have you sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of your whoredoms a small matter,
16:21 Y sacrificaste mis hijos, y dístelos á ellas para que los hiciesen pasar por el fuego.
16:21 That you have slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
16:22 Y con todas tus abominaciones y tus fornicaciones no te has acordado de los días de tu mocedad, cuando estabas desnuda y descubierta, cuando estabas envuelta en tu sangre.
16:22 And in all yours abominations and your whoredoms you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were polluted in your blood.
16:23 Y fué que después de toda tu maldad (H¡ay, ay de ti! dice el Señor Jehová,lare the work of God, and understand His doing.o)
16:23 And it came to pass after all your wickedness, (woe, woe unto you! says the LORD GOD;)
16:24 Edificástete alto, y te hiciste altar en todas las plazas:
16:24 That you have also built unto you an eminent place, and have made you an high place in every street.
16:25 En toda cabeza de camino edificaste tu altar, y tornaste abominable tu hermosura, y abriste tus piernas á cuantos pasaban, y multiplicaste tus fornicaciones.
16:25 You have built your high place at every head of the way, and have made your beauty to be abhorred, and have opened your feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied your whoredoms.
16:26 Y fornicaste con los hijos de Egipto, tus vecinos, de grandes carnes; y aumentaste tus fornicaciones para enojarme.
16:26 You have also committed fornication with the Egyptians your neighbours, great of flesh; and have increased your whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
16:27 Por tanto, he aquí que yo extendí sobre ti mi mano, y disminuí tu provisión ordinaria, y te entregué á la voluntad de las hijas de los Filisteos que te aborrecen, las cuales se avergüenzan de tu camino deshonesto.
16:27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished yours ordinary food, and delivered you unto the will of them that hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of your lewd way.
16:28 Fornicaste también con los hijos de Assur por no haberte hartado; y fornicaste con ellos, y tampoco te hartaste.
16:28 You have played the whore also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yea, you have played the harlot with them, and yet could not be satisfied.
16:29 Multiplicaste asimismo tu fornicación en la tierra de Canaán y de los Caldeos: ni tampoco con esto te hartaste.
16:29 You have moreover multiplied your fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet you were not satisfied therewith.
16:30 Cuán inconstante es tu corazón, dice el Señor Jehová, habiendo hecho todas estas cosas, obras de una poderosa ramera,
16:30 How weak is yours heart, says the LORD GOD, seeing you do all these things, the work of an domineering whorish woman;
16:31 Edificando tus altares en cabeza de todo camino, y haciendo tus altares en todas las plazas! Y no fuiste semejante á ramera, menospreciando el salario,
16:31 In that you build yours eminent place in the head of every way, and make yours high place in every street; and have not been as an harlot, in that you scorn hire;
16:32 Sino como mujer adúltera, por cuanto que en lugar de su marido recibe á ajenos.
16:32 But as a wife that commits adultery, which takes strangers instead of her husband!
16:33 A todas las rameras dan dones; mas tú diste tus dones á todos tus enamorados; y les diste presentes, porque entrasen á ti de todas partes por tus fornicaciones.
16:33 They give gifts to all whores: but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and hire them, that they may come unto you on every side for your whoredom.
16:34 Y ha sido en ti al contrario de las mujeres en tus fornicaciones, ni nunca después de ti será así fornicado; porque en dar tú dones, y no ser dados dones á ti, ha sido al contrario.
16:34 And the contrary is in you from other women in your whoredoms, whereas none follows you to commit whoredoms: and in that you give a reward, and no reward is given unto you, therefore you are contrary.
16:35 Por tanto, ramera, oye palabra de Jehová:
16:35 Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
16:36 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto han sido descubiertas tus vergüenzas, y tu confusión ha sido manifestada á tus enamorados en tus fornicaciones; y á los ídolos de tus abominaciones, y en la sangre de tus hijos, los cuales les diste;
16:36 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness discovered through your whoredoms with your lovers, and with all the idols of your abominations, and by the blood of your children, which you did give unto them;
16:37 Por tanto, he aquí que yo junto todos tus enamorados con los cuales tomaste placer, y todos los que amaste, con todos los que aborreciste; y reunirélos contra ti alrededor, y descubriréles tu vergüenza, y verán toda tu torpeza.
16:37 Behold, therefore I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all them that you have loved, with all them that you have hated; I will even gather them round about against you, and will discover your nakedness unto them, that they may see all your nakedness.
16:38 Y yo te juzgaré por las leyes de las adúlteras, y de las que derraman sangre; y te daré en sangre de ira y de celo.
16:38 And I will judge you, as women that violate marriage bond and shed blood are judged; and I will give you blood in fury and jealousy.
16:39 Y te entregaré en mano de ellos: y destruirán tu alto, y derribarán tus altares, y te harán desnudar de tus ropas, y se llevarán los vasos de tu gloria, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta.
16:39 And I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down yours eminent place, and shall break down your high places: they shall strip you also of your clothes, and shall take your fair jewels, and leave you naked and bare.
16:40 Y harán subir contra ti reunión de gente, y te apedrearán con piedras, y te atravesarán con sus espadas.
16:40 They shall also bring up a company against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.
16:41 Y quemarán tus casas á fuego, y harán en ti juicios á ojos de muchas mujeres; y hacerte he cesar de ser ramera, ni tampoco darás más don.
16:41 And they shall burn yours houses with fire, and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women: and I will cause you to cease from playing the harlot, and you also shall give no hire any more.
16:42 Y haré reposar mi ira sobre ti, y apartaráse de ti mi celo, y descansaré de más enojarme.
16:42 So will I make my fury toward you to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from you, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
16:43 Por cuanto no te acordaste de los días de tu mocedad, y me provocaste á ira en todo esto, por eso, he aquí yo también he tornado tu camino sobre tu cabeza, dice el Señor Jehová; pues ni aun has pensado sobre todas tus abominaciones.
16:43 Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense your way upon yours head, says the Lord GOD: and you shall not commit this lewdness above all yours abominations.
16:44 He aquí que todo proverbista hará de ti proverbio, diciendo: Como la madre, tal su hija.
16:44 Behold, every one that uses proverbs shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
16:45 Hija de tu madre eres tú, que desechó á su marido y á sus hijos; y hermana de tus hermanas eres tú, que desecharon á sus maridos y á sus hijos: vuestra madre fué Hethea, y vuestro padre Amorrheo.
16:45 You are your mother's daughter, that detests her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, which loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
16:46 Y tu hermana mayor es Samaria con su hijas, la cual habita á tu mano izquierda; y tu hermana la menor que tú es Sodoma con sus hijas, la cual habita á tu mano derecha.
16:46 And yours elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at your left hand: and your younger sister, that dwells at your right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
16:47 Y aun no anduviste en sus caminos, ni hiciste según sus abominaciones; antes, como si esto fuera poco y muy poco, te corrompiste más que ellas en todos tus caminos.
16:47 Yet have you not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, you were corrupted more than they in all your ways.
16:48 Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, Sodoma tu hermana, con sus hijas, no ha hecho como hiciste tú y tus hijas.
16:48 As I live, says the Lord GOD, Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.
16:49 He aquí que esta fué la maldad de Sodoma tu hermana: soberbia, hartura de pan, y abundancia de ociosidad tuvo ella y sus hijas; y no corroboró la mano del afligido y del menesteroso.
16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
16:50 Y ensoberbeciéronse, é hicieron abominación delante de mí, y quitélas como vi bueno.
16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
16:51 Y Samaria no cometió ni la mitad de tus pecados; porque tú multiplicaste tus abominaciones más que ellas, y has justificado á tus hermanas con todas tus abominaciones que hiciste.
16:51 Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied yours abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters in all yours abominations which you have done.
16:52 Tú también, que juzgaste á tus hermanas, lleva tu vergüenza en tus pecados que hiciste más abominables que ellas: más justas son que tú: avergüénzate pues tú también, y lleva tu confusión, pues que has justificado á tus hermanas.
16:52 You also, which have judged your sisters, bear yours own shame for your sins that you have committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than you: yea, be you confounded also, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.
16:53 Yo pues haré tornar sus cautivos, los cautivos de Sodoma y de sus hijas, y los cautivos de Samaria y de sus hijas, y los cautivos de tus cautiverios entre ellas,
16:53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of your captives in the midst of them:
16:54 Para que tú lleves tu confusión, y te avergüences de todo lo que has hecho, siéndoles tú motivo de consuelo.
16:54 That you may bear yours own shame, and may be confounded in all that you have done, in that you are a comfort unto them.
16:55 Y tus hermanas, Sodoma con sus hijas y Samaria con sus hijas, volverán á su primer estado; tú también y tus hijas volveréis á vuestro primer estado.
16:55 When your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then you and your daughters shall return to your former estate.
16:56 Sodoma, tu hermana, no fué nombrada en tu boca en el tiempo de tus soberbias,
16:56 For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride,
16:57 Antes que tu maldad se descubriese, como en el tiempo de la vergüenza de las hijas de Siria y de todas las hijas de los Filisteos alrededor, que te menosprecian en contorno.
16:57 Before your wickedness was discovered, as at the time of your reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise you round about.
16:58 Tú has llevado tu enormidad y tus abominaciones, dice Jehová.
16:58 You have borne your lewdness and yours abominations, says the LORD.
16:59 Empero así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Haré yo contigo como tú hiciste, que menospreciaste el juramento para invalidar el pacto?
16:59 For thus says the Lord GOD; I will even deal with you as you have done, which have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
16:60 Antes yo tendré memoria de mi pacto que concerté contigo en los días de tu mocedad, y te confirmaré un pacto sempiterno.
16:60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish unto you an everlasting covenant.
16:61 Y acordarte has de tus caminos y te avergonzarás, cuando recibirás á tus hermanas, las mayores que tú con las menores que tú, las cuales yo te daré por hijas, mas no por tu pacto.
16:61 Then you shall remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, yours elder and your younger: and I will give them unto you for daughters, but not by your covenant.
16:62 Y confirmaré mi pacto contigo, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová;
16:62 And I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am the LORD:
16:63 Para que te acuerdes, y te avergüences, y nunca más abras la boca á causa de tu vergüenza, cuando me aplacare para contigo de todo lo que hiciste, dice el Señor Jehová.
16:63 That you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I am pacified toward you for all that you have done, says the Lord GOD.

17:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
17:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17:2 Hijo del hombre, propón una figura, y compón una parábola á la casa de Israel.
17:2 Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel;
17:3 Y dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Una grande águila, de grandes alas y de largos miembros, llena de plumas de diversos colores, vino al Líbano, y tomó el cogollo del cedro:
17:3 And say, Thus says the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:
17:4 Arrancó el principal de sus renuevos, y llevólo á la tierra de mercaderes, y púsolo en la ciudad de los negociantes.
17:4 He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of trade; he set it in a city of merchants.
17:5 Tomó también de la simiente de la tierra, y púsola en un campo bueno para sembrar, plantóla junto á grandes aguas, púsola como un sauce.
17:5 He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.
17:6 Y brotó, é hízose una vid de mucha rama, baja de estatura, que sus ramas la miraban, y sus raíces estaban debajo de ella: así que se hizo una vid, y arrojó sarmientos, y echó mugrones.
17:6 And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
17:7 Y fué otra grande águila, de grandes alas y de muchas plumas; y he aquí que esta vid juntó cerca de ella sus raíces, y extendió hacia ella sus ramos, para ser regada por ella por los surcos de su plantío.
17:7 There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
17:8 En un buen campo, junto á muchas aguas fué plantada, para que hiciese ramos y llevase fruto, y para que fuese vid robusta.
17:8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
17:9 Di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Será prosperada? ¿No arrancará sus raíces, y destruirá su fruto, y secaráse? Todas las hojas de su lozanía secará, y no con gran brazo, ni con mucha gente, arrancándola de sus raíces.
17:9 Say you, Thus says the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.
17:10 Y he aquí que plantada está ella, ¿será prosperada? ¿No se secará del todo cuando el viento solano la tocare? En los surcos de su verdor se secará.
17:10 Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind touches it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
17:11 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
17:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17:12 Di ahora á la casa rebelde: ¿No habéis entendido qué significan estas cosas? Diles: He aquí que el rey de Babilonia vino á Jerusalem, y tomó tu rey y sus príncipes, y llevólos consigo á Babilonia.
17:12 Say now to the rebellious house, Know all of you not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem, and has taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;
17:13 Tomó también de la simiente del reino, é hizo con él alianza, y trájole á juramento; y tomó los fuertes de la tierra,
17:13 And has taken of the king's seed, and made a covenant with him, and has taken an oath of him: he has also taken the mighty of the land:
17:14 Para que el reino fuese abatido y no se levantase, sino que guardase su alianza y estuviese en ella.
17:14 That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it might stand.
17:15 Rebelóse empero contra él enviando sus embajadores á Egipto, para que le diese caballos y mucha gente. ¿Será prosperado, escapará, el que estas cosas hizo? ¿y el que rompió la alianza, podrá huir?
17:15 But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that does such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
17:16 Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que morirá en medio de Babilonia, en el lugar del rey que le hizo reinar, cuyo juramento menospreció, y cuya alianza con él hecha rompió.
17:16 As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwells that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
17:17 Y no con grande ejército, ni con mucha compañía hará con él Faraón en la batalla, cuando funden baluarte y edifiquen bastiones para cortar muchas vidas.
17:17 Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
17:18 Pues menospreció el juramento, para invalidar el concierto cuando he aquí que había dado su mano, é hizo todas estas cosas, no escapará.
17:18 Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and has done all these things, he shall not escape.
17:19 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Vivo yo, que el juramento mío que menospreció, y mi concierto que ha invalidado, tornaré sobre su cabeza.
17:19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he has despised, and my covenant that he has broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
17:20 Y extenderé sobre él mi red, y será preso en mi malla; y hacerlo he venir á Babilonia, y allí estaré á juicio con él, por su prevaricación con que contra mí se ha rebelado.
17:20 And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.
17:21 Y todos sus fugitivos con todos sus escuadrones caerán á cuchillo, y los que quedaren serán esparcidos á todo viento; y sabréis que yo Jehová he hablado.
17:21 And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and all of you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.
17:22 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Y tomaré yo del cogollo de aquel alto cedro, y pondrélo; del principal de sus renuevos cortaré un tallo, y plantarlo he yo sobre el monte alto y sublime;
17:22 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:
17:23 En el monte alto de Israel lo plantaré, y alzará ramos, y llevará fruto, y haráse magnífico cedro; y habitarán debajo de él todas las aves, toda cosa que vuela habitará á la sombra de sus ramos.
17:23 In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.
17:24 Y sabrán todos los árboles del campo que yo Jehová abatí el árbol sublime, levanté el árbol bajo, hice secar el árbol verde, é hice reverdecer el árbol seco. Yo Jehová hablé é hice.
17:24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
18:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
18:1 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
18:2 ¿Qué pensáis vosotros, vosotros que usáis este refrán sobre la tierra de Israel, diciendo: Los padres comieron el agraz, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera?
18:2 What mean all of you, that all of you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?
18:3 Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que nunca más tendréis por qué usar este refrán en Israel.
18:3 As I live, says the Lord GOD, all of you shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
18:4 He aquí que todas las almas son mías; como el alma del padre, así el alma del hijo es mía; el alma que pecare, esa morirá.
18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins, it shall die.
18:5 Y el hombre que fuere justo, é hiciere juicio y justicia;
18:5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
18:6 Que no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos á los ídolos de la casa de Israel, ni violare la mujer de su prójimo, ni llegare á la mujer menstruosa,
18:6 And has not eaten upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbour's wife, neither has come near to a menstruous woman,
18:7 Ni oprimiere á ninguno; al deudor tornare su prenda, no cometiere robo, diere de su pan al hambriento, y cubriere al desnudo con vestido,
18:7 And has not oppressed any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has spoiled none by violence, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;
18:8 No diere á logro, ni recibiere aumento; de la maldad retrajere su mano, é hiciere juicio de verdad entre hombre y hombre,
18:8 He that has not given forth upon interest, neither has taken any increase, that has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true judgment between man and man,
18:9 En mis ordenanzas caminare, y guardare mis derechos para hacer verdad, éste es justo: éste vivirá, dice el Señor Jehová.
18:9 Has walked in my statutes, and has kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says the Lord GOD.
18:10 Mas si engendrare hijo ladrón, derramador de sangre, ó que haga alguna cosa de éstas,
18:10 If he brought forth a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that does the like to any one of these things,
18:11 Y que no haga las otras; antes comiere sobre los montes, ó violare la mujer de su prójimo,
18:11 And that does not any of those duties, but even has eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
18:12 Al pobre y menesteroso oprimiere, cometiere robos, no tornare la prenda, ó alzare sus ojos á los ídolos, é hiciere abominación,
18:12 Has oppressed the poor and needy, has spoiled by violence, has not restored the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols, has committed abomination,
18:13 Diere á usura, y recibiere aumento: ¿vivirá éste? No vivirá. Todas estas abominaciones hizo; de cierto morirá; su sangre será sobre él.
18:13 Has given forth upon interest, and has taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
18:14 Pero si éste engrendrare hijo, el cual viere todos los pecados que su padre hizo, y viéndolos no hiciere según ellos:
18:14 Now, lo, if he brought forth a son, that sees all his father's sins which he has done, and considers, and does not such like,
18:15 No comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos á los ídolos de la casa de Israel; la mujer de su prójimo no violare,
18:15 That has not eaten upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, has not defiled his neighbour's wife,
18:16 Ni oprimiere á nadie; la prenda no empeñare, ni cometiere robos; al hambriento diere de su pan, y cubriere de vestido al desnudo;
18:16 Neither has oppressed any, has not withheld the pledge, neither has spoiled by violence, but has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment,
18:17 Apartare su mano del pobre, usura ni aumento no recibiere; hiciere mis derechos, y anduviere en mis ordenanzas, éste no morirá por la maldad de su padre; de cierto vivirá.
18:17 That has taken off his hand from the poor, that has not received interest nor increase, has executed my judgments, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
18:18 Su padre, por cuanto hizo agravio, despojó violentamente al hermano, é hizo en medio de su pueblo lo que no es bueno, he aquí que él morirá por su maldad.
18:18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
18:19 Y si dijereis: ¿Por qué el hijo no llevará por el pecado de su padre? Porque el hijo hizo juicio y justicia, guardó todas mis ordenanzas, y las hizo, de cierto vivirá.
18:19 Yet say all of you, Why? does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he shall surely live.
18:20 El alma que pecare, esa morirá: el hijo no llevará por el pecado del padre, ni el padre llevará por el pecado del hijo: la justicia del justo será sobre él, y la impiedad el impío será sobre él.
18:20 The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
18:21 Mas el impío, si se apartare de todos sus pecados que hizo, y guardare todas mis ordenanzas, é hiciere juicio y justicia, de cierto vivirá; no morirá.
18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
18:22 Todas sus rebeliones que cometió, no le serán recordadas: en su justicia que hizo vivirá.
18:22 All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live.
18:23 ¿Quiero yo la muerte del impío? dice el Señor Jehová. ¿No vivirá, si se apartare de sus caminos?
18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? says the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
18:24 Mas si el justo se apartare de su justicia, y cometiere maldad, é hiciere conforme á todas las abominaciones que el impío hizo; ¿vivirá él? Todas las justicias que hizo no vendrán en memoria; por su rebelión con que prevaricó, y por su pecado que cometió, por ello morirá.
18:24 But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die.
18:25 Y si dijereis: No es derecho el camino del Señor: oid ahora, casa de Israel: ¿No es derecho mi camino? ¿no son vuestros caminos torcidos?
18:25 Yet all of you say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
18:26 Apartándose el justo de su justicia, y haciendo iniquidad, él morirá por ello: por su iniquidad que hizo, morirá.
18:26 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he has done shall he die.
18:27 Y apartándose el impío de su impiedad que hizo, y haciendo juicio y justicia, hará vivir su alma.
18:27 Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
18:28 Porque miró, y apartóse de todas sus prevaricaciones que hizo, de cierto vivirá, no morirá.
18:28 Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
18:29 Si aun dijere la casa de Israel: No es derecho el camino del Señor: ¿No son derechos mis caminos, casa de Israel? Cierto, vuestros caminos no son derechos.
18:29 Yet says the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
18:30 Por tanto, yo os juzgaré á cada uno según sus caminos, oh casa de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová. Convertíos, y volveos de todas vuestras iniquidades; y no os será la iniquidad causa de ruina.
18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
18:31 Echad de vosotros todas vuestras iniquidades con que habéis prevaricado, y haceos corazón nuevo y espíritu nuevo. ¿Y por qué moriréis, casa de Israel?
18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby all of you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will all of you die, O house of Israel?
18:32 Que no quiero la muerte del que muere, dice el Señor Jehová, convertíos pues, y viviréis.
18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live all of you.
Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
19:1 Y TU levanta endecha sobre los príncipes de Israel.
19:1 Moreover take you up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,
19:2 Y dirás: ¡Cómo se echó entre los leones tu madre la leona! entre los leoncillos crió sus cachorros.
19:2 And say, What is your mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.
19:3 E hizo subir uno de sus cachorros: vino á ser leoncillo, y aprendió á prender presa, y á devorar hombres.
19:3 And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.
19:4 Y las gentes oyeron de él: fué tomado con el lazo de ellas, y lleváronlo con grillos á la tierra de Egipto.
19:4 The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
19:5 Y viendo ella que había esperado mucho tiempo, y que se perdía su esperanza, tomó otro de sus cachorros, y púsolo por leoncillo.
19:5 Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.
19:6 Y él andaba entre los leones; hízose leoncillo, aprendió á hacer presa, devoró hombres.
19:6 And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.
19:7 Y conoció sus viudas, y asoló sus ciudades; y la tierra fué asolada, y su abundancia, á la voz de su bramido.
19:7 And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fullness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.
19:8 Y dieron sobre él las gentes de las provincias de su alrededor, y extendieron sobre él su red; fué preso en su hoyo.
19:8 Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.
19:9 Y pusiéronlo en cárcel con cadenas, y lleváronlo al rey de Babilonia; metiéronlo en fortalezas, para que su voz no se oyese más sobre los montes de Israel.
19:9 And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.
19:10 Tu madre fué como una vid en tu sangre, plantada junto á las aguas, haciendo fruto y echando vástagos á causa de las muchas aguas.
19:10 Your mother is like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
19:11 Y ella tuvo varas fuertes para cetros de señores; y levantóse su estatura por encima entre las ramas, y fué vista en su altura, y con la multitud de sus sarmientos.
19:11 And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
19:12 Empero fué arrancada con ira, derribada en tierra, y viento solano secó su fruto; fueron quebradas y secáronse sus varas fuertes; consumiólas el fuego.
19:12 But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
19:13 Y ahora está plantada en el desierto, en tierra de sequedad y de aridez.
19:13 And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.
19:14 Y ha salido fuego de la vara de sus ramos, ha consumido su fruto, y no ha quedado en ella vara fuerte, cetro para enseñorear. Endecha es esta, y de endecha servirá.
19:14 And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which has devoured her fruit, so that she has no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

20:1 Y ACONTECIO en el año séptimo, en el mes quinto, á los diez del mes, que vinieron algunos de los ancianos de Israel á consultar á Jehová, y sentáronse delante de mí.
20:1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.
20:2 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
20:2 Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,
20:3 Hijo del hombre, habla á los ancianos de Israel, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿A consultarme venís vosotros? Vivo yo, que yo no os responderé, dice el Señor Jehová.
20:3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Are all of you come to enquire of me? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.
20:4 ¿Quieres tú juzgarlos? ¿los quieres juzgar tú, hijo del hombre? Notifícales las abominaciones de sus padres;
20:4 Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:
20:5 Y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: El día que escogí á Israel, y que alcé mi mano por la simiente de la casa de Jacob, y que fuí conocido de ellos en la tierra de Egipto, cuando alcé mi mano á ellos, diciendo: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios;
20:5 And say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;
20:6 Aquel día que les alcé mi mano, que los sacaría de la tierra de Egipto á la tierra que les había proveído, que fluye leche y miel, la cual es la más hermosa de todas las tierras;
20:6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:
20:7 Entonces les dije: Cada uno eche de sí cada uno de las abominaciones de sus ojos, y no os contaminéis en los ídolos de Egipto. Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
20:7 Then said I unto them, Cast all of you away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
20:8 Mas ellos se rebelaron contra mí, y no quisieron obedecerme: no echó de sí cada uno las abominaciones de sus ojos, ni dejaron los ídolos de Egipto; y dije que derramaría mi ira sobre ellos, para cumplir mi enojo en ellos en medio de la tierra de Egipto.
20:8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
20:9 Con todo, á causa de mi nombre, porque no se infamase en los ojos de las gentes en medio de las cuales estaban, en cuyos ojos fuí conocido de ellos, hice para sacarlos de tierra de Egipto.
20:9 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
20:10 Saquélos pues de la tierra de Egipto, y trájelos al desierto;
20:10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
20:11 Y díles mis ordenanzas, y declaréles mis derechos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá en ellos.
20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
20:12 Y díles también mis sábados que fuesen por señal entre mí y ellos, para que supiesen que yo soy Jehová que los santifico.
20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
20:13 Mas rebeláronse contra mí la casa de Israel en el desierto; no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, y desecharon mis derechos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá en ellos; y mis sábados profanaron en gran manera; dije, por tanto, que había de derramar sobre ellos mi ira en el desierto para consumirlos.
20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
20:14 Pero en atención á mi nombre hice porque no se infamase á la vista de la gentes, delante de cuyos ojos los saqué.
20:14 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
20:15 Y también yo les alcé mi mano en el desierto, que no los metería en la tierra que les dí, que fluye leche y miel, la cual es la más hermosa de todas las tierras;
20:15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
20:16 Porque desecharon mis derechos, y no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, y mis sábados profanaron: porque tras sus ídolos iba su corazón.
20:16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
20:17 Con todo los perdonó mi ojo, no matándolos, ni los consumí en el desierto;
20:17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.
20:18 Antes dije en el desierto á sus hijos: No andéis en las ordenanzas de vuestros padres, ni guardéis sus leyes, ni os contaminéis en sus ídolos.
20:18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk all of you not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
20:19 Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios; andad en mis ordenanzas, y guardad mis derechos, y ponedlos por obra:
20:19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
20:20 Y santificad mis sábados, y sean por señal entre mí y vosotros, para que sepáis que yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that all of you may know that I am the LORD your God.
20:21 Y los hijos se rebelaron contra mí: no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, ni guardaron mis derechos para ponerlos por obra, los cuales el hombre que los cumpliere, vivirá en ellos; profanaron mis sábados. Dije entonces que derramaría mi ira sobre ellos, para cumplir mi enojo en ellos en el desierto.
20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
20:22 Mas retraje mi mano, y en atención á mi nombre hice porque no se infamase á vista de las gentes, delante de cuyos ojos los saqué.
20:22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
20:23 Y también les alcé yo mi mano en el desierto, que los esparciría entre las gentes, y que los aventaría por las tierras;
20:23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
20:24 Porque no pusieron por obra mis derechos, y desecharon mis ordenanzas, y profanaron mis sábados, y tras los ídolos de sus padres se les fueron sus ojos.
20:24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
20:25 Por eso yo también les dí ordenanzas no buenas, y derechos por los cuales no viviesen;
20:25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
20:26 Y contaminélos en sus ofrendas cuando hacían pasar por el fuego todo primogénito, para que los desolase, á fin de que supiesen que yo soy Jehová.
20:26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that opens the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
20:27 Por tanto, hijo del hombre, habla á la casa de Israel, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Aun en esto me afrentaron vuestros padres cuando cometieron contra mí rebelión.
20:27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
20:28 Porque yo los metí en la tierra sobre la cual había alzado mi mano que les había de dar, y miraron á todo collado alto, y á todo árbol espeso, y allí sacrificaron sus víctimas, y allí presentaron la irritación de sus ofrendas, allí pusieron también él olor de su suavidad, y allí derramaron sus libaciones.
20:28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.
20:29 Y yo les dije: ¿Qué es ese alto adonde vosotros vais? Y fué llamado su nombre Bamah hasta el día de hoy.
20:29 Then I said unto them, What is the high place unto which all of you go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day.
20:30 Di, pues, á la casa de Israel: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿No os contamináis vosotros á la manera de vuestros padres, y fornicáis tras sus abominaciones?
20:30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; Are all of you polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit all of you whoredom after their abominations?
20:31 Porque ofreciendo vuestras ofrendas, haciendo pasar vuestros hijos por el fuego, os habéis contaminado con todos vuestros ídolos hasta hoy: ¿y he de responderos yo, casa de Israel? Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que no os responderé.
20:31 For when all of you offer your gifts, when all of you make your sons to pass through the fire, all of you pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.
20:32 Y no ha de ser lo que habéis pensado. Porque vosotros decís: Seamos como las gentes, como las familias de las naciones, sirviendo á la madera y á la piedra.
20:32 And that which comes into your mind shall not be at all, that all of you say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
20:33 Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que con mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y enojo derramado, tengo de reinar sobre vosotros:
20:33 As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
20:34 Y os sacaré de entre los pueblos, y os juntaré de las tierras en que estáis esparcidos, con mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y enojo derramado:
20:34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein all of you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
20:35 Y os he de traer al desierto de pueblos, y allí litigaré con vosotros cara á cara.
20:35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
20:36 Como litigué con vuestros padres en el desierto de la tierra de Egipto, así litigaré con vosotros, dice el Señor Jehová.
20:36 Like I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, says the Lord GOD.
20:37 Y os haré pasar bajo de vara y os traeré en vínculo de concierto;
20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
20:38 Y apartaré de entre vosotros los rebeldes, y los que se rebelaron contra mí: de la tierra de sus destierros los sacaré, y á la tierra de Israel no vendrán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
20:39 Y vosotros, oh casa de Israel, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Andad cada uno tras sus ídolos, y servidles, pues que á mí no me obedecéis; y no profanéis más mi santo nombre con vuestras ofrendas, y con vuestros ídolos.
20:39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD; Go all of you, serve all of you every one his idols, and hereafter also, if all of you will not hearken unto me: but pollute all of you my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
20:40 Empero en mi santo monte, en el alto monte de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová, allí me servirá toda la casa de Israel, toda ella en la tierra: allí los querré, y allí demandaré vuestras ofrendas, y las primicias de vuestros dones, con todas vuestras cosas consagradas.
20:40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
20:41 En olor de suavidad os aceptaré, cuando os hubiere sacado de entre los pueblos, y os hubiere juntado de las tierras en que estáis esparcidos; y seré santificado en vosotros á los ojos de las gentes.
20:41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein all of you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
20:42 Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando os hubiere metido en la tierra de Israel, en la tierra por la cual alcé mi mano que la daría á vuestros padres.
20:42 And all of you shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
20:43 Y allí os acordaréis de vuestros caminos, y de todos vuestros hechos en que os contaminasteis; y seréis confusos en vuestra misma presencia por todos vuestros pecados que cometisteis.
20:43 And there shall all of you remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein all of you have been defiled; and all of you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that all of you have committed.
20:44 Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová cuando hiciere con vosotros por amor de mi nombre, no según vuestros caminos malos, ni según vuestras perversas obras, oh casa de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová.
20:44 And all of you shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O all of you house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.
20:45 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
20:45 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
20:46 Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro hacia el mediodía, y derrama tu palabra hacia la parte austral, y profetiza contra el bosque del campo del mediodía.
20:46 Son of man, set your face toward the south, and drop your word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;
20:47 Y dirás al bosque del mediodía: Oye palabra de Jehová: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo enciendo en ti fuego, el cual consumirá en ti todo árbol verde, y todo árbol seco: no se apagará la llama del fuego; y serán quemados en ella todos rostros, desde el mediodía hasta el norte.
20:47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.
20:48 Y verá toda carne que yo Jehová lo encendí; no se apagará.
20:48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
20:49 Y dije: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ellos dicen de mí: ¿No profiere éste parábolas?
20:49 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Does he not speak parables?
Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
21:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
21:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21:2 Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro contra Jerusalem, y derrama palabra sobre los santuarios, y profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel;
21:2 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and drop your word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
21:3 Y dirás á la tierra de Israel: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí, que yo contra ti, y sacaré mi espada de su vaina, y talaré de ti al justo y al impío.
21:3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I am against you, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.
21:4 Y por cuanto he de talar de ti al justo y al impío, por tanto, mi espada saldrá de su vaina contra toda carne, desde el mediodía hasta el aquilón:
21:4 Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
21:5 Y sabrá toda carne que yo Jehová saqué mi espada de su vaina; no volverá más.
21:5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
21:6 Y tú, hijo del hombre, gime con quebrantamiento de lomos, y con amargura; gime delante de los ojos de ellos.
21:6 Sigh therefore, you son of man, with the breaking of your loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
21:7 Y será, que cuando te dijeren: ¿Por qué gimes tú? dirás: Por la fama que viene; y todo corazón se desleirá, y todas manos se debilitarán, y angustiaráse todo espíritu, y todas rodillas se irán en aguas: he aquí que viene, y hacerse ha, dice el Señor Jehová.
21:7 And it shall be, when they say unto you, Wherefore sigh you? that you shall answer, For the tidings; because it comes: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it comes, and shall be brought to pass, says the Lord GOD.
21:8 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
21:8 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21:9 Hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Di: La espada, la espada está afilada, y aun acicalada;
21:9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
21:10 Para degollar víctimas está afilada, acicalada está para que relumbre. ¿Hemos de alegrarnos? A la vara de mi hijo viene menospreciando todo árbol.
21:10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make delight? it despises the rod of my son, as every tree.
21:11 Y dióla á acicalar para tenerla á mano: la espada está afilada, y acicalada está ella, para entregralo en mano del matador.
21:11 And he has given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
21:12 Clama y aúlla, oh hijo del hombre; porque ésta será sobre mi pueblo, será ella sobre todos los príncipes de Israel. Temores de espada serán á mi pueblo: por tanto, hiere el muslo;
21:12 Cry and wail, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: strike therefore upon your thigh.
21:13 Porque está probado. ¿Y qué, si la espada desprecia aun el cetro? El no será más, dice el Señor Jehová.
21:13 Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, says the Lord GOD.
21:14 Tú pues, hijo del hombre, profetiza y bate una mano con otra, y dóblese la espada la tercera vez, la espada de muertos: ésta es espada de gran matanza que los penetrará,
21:14 You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike yours hands together. and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which enters into their privy chambers.
21:15 Para que el corazón desmaye, y los estragos se multipliquen: en todas las puertas de ellos he puesto espanto de espada. ¡Ah! dispuesta está para que relumbre, y aderezada para degollar.
21:15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
21:16 Ponte á una parte, ponte á la diestra, ó ponte á la siniestra, hacia donde tu rostro se determinare.
21:16 Go you one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, anywhere your face is set.
21:17 Y yo también batiré mi mano con mi mano, y haré reposar mi ira. Yo Jehová he hablado.
21:17 I will also strike mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
21:18 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehova, diciendo:
21:18 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
21:19 Y tú, hijo del hombre, señálate dos caminos por donde venga la espada del rey de Babilonia: de una misma tierra salgan ambos: y echa mano á la suerte: en el principio del camino de la ciudad lo harás.
21:19 Also, you son of man, appoint you two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both two shall come forth out of one land: and choose you a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
21:20 El camino señalarás por donde venga la espada á Rabba de los hijos de Ammón, y á Judá contra Jerusalem la fuerte.
21:20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
21:21 Porque el rey de Babilonia se paró en una encrucijada, al principio de dos caminos, para tomar adivinación: acicaló saetas, consultó en ídolos, miró el hígado.
21:21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
21:22 La adivinación fué á su mano derecha, sobre Jerusalem, para poner capitanes, para abrir la boca á la matanza, para levantar la voz en grito, para poner ingenios contra las puertas, para fundar baluarte, y edificar fuerte.
21:22 At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.
21:23 Y seráles como adivinación mentirosa en sus ojos, por estar juramentados con juramento á ellos: mas él trae á la memoria la maldad, para prenderlos.
21:23 And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
21:24 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto habéis hecho venir en memoria vuestras maldades, manifestando vuestras traiciones, y descubriendo vuestros pecados en todas vuestras obras; por cuanto habéis venido en memoria, seréis tomados á mano.
21:24 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because all of you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that all of you are come to remembrance, all of you shall be taken with the hand.
21:25 Y tú, profano é impío príncipe de Israel, cuyo día vino en el tiempo de la consumación de la maldad;
21:25 And you, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, when iniquity shall have an end,
21:26 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Depón la tiara, quita la corona: ésta no será más ésta: al bajo alzaré, y al alto abatiré.
21:26 Thus says the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and bring low him that is high.
21:27 Del revés, del revés, del revés la tornaré; y no será ésta más, hasta que venga aquel cuyo es el derecho, y se la entregaré.
21:27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he comes whose right it is; and I will give it him.
21:28 Y tú, hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová sobre los hijos de Ammón, y su oprobio. Dirás pues: La espada, la espada está desenvainada para degollar; acicalada para consumir con resplandor.
21:28 And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say you, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
21:29 Te profetizan vanidad, adivínante mentira, para entregarte con los cuellos de los malos sentenciados á muerte, cuyo día vino en tiempo de la consumación de la maldad.
21:29 While they see vanity unto you, while they divine a lie unto you, to bring you upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day has come, when their iniquity shall have an end.
21:30 ¿Tornaréla á su vaina? En el lugar donde te criaste, en la tierra donde has vivido, te tengo de juzgar.
21:30 Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge you in the place where you were created, in the land of your nativity.
21:31 Y derramaré sobre ti mi ira: el fuego de mi enojo haré encender sobre ti, y te entregaré en mano de hombres temerarios, artífices de destrucción.
21:31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon you, I will blow against you in the fire of my wrath, and deliver you into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
21:32 Del fuego serás para ser consumido; tu sangre será en medio de la tierra; no habrá más memoria de ti: porque yo Jehová he hablado.
21:32 You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.
Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
22:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
22:1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
22:2 Y tú, hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú á la ciudad derramadora de sangre, y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones?
22:2 Now, you son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? yea, you shall show her all her abominations.
22:3 Dirás, pues: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!
22:3 Then say you, Thus says the Lord GOD, The city sheds blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and makes idols against herself to defile herself.
22:4 En tu sangre que derramaste has pecado, y te has contaminado en tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercar tus días, y has llegado á tus años: por tanto te he dado en oprobio á las gentes, y en escarnio á todas las tierras.
22:4 You are become guilty in your blood that you have shed; and have defiled yourself in yours idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and are come even unto your years: therefore have I made you a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
22:5 Las que están cerca, y las que están lejos de ti, se reirán de ti, amancillada de fama, y de grande turbación.
22:5 Those that be near, and those that be far from you, shall mock you, which are ill repute and much vexed.
22:6 He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, fueron en ti para derramar sangre.
22:6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in you to their power to shed blood.
22:7 Al padre y á la madre despreciaron en ti: al extranjero trataron con calumnia en medio de ti: al huérfano y á la viuda despojaron en ti.
22:7 In you have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of you have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in you have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
22:8 Mis santuarios menospreciaste, y mis sábados has profanado.
22:8 You have despised mine holy things, and have profaned my sabbaths.
22:9 Calumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti: hicieron en medio de ti suciedades.
22:9 In you are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in you they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of you they commit lewdness.
22:10 La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti; la inmunda de menstruo forzaron en ti.
22:10 In you have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in you have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
22:11 Y cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y cada uno contaminó su nuera torpemente; y cada uno forzó en ti á su hermana, hija de su padre.
22:11 And one has committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another has lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter.
22:12 Precio recibieron en ti para derramar sangre; usura y logro tomaste, y á tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia: olvidástete de mí, dice el Señor Jehová.
22:12 In you have they taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbours by extortion, and have forgotten me, says the Lord GOD.
22:13 Y he aquí, que herí mi mano á causa de tu avaricia que cometiste, y á causa de tus sangres que fueron en medio de ti.
22:13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you.
22:14 ¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿tus manos serán fuertes en los días que obraré yo contra ti? Yo Jehová he hablado, y harélo.
22:14 Can yours heart endure, or can yours hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
22:15 Y yo te esparciré por las gentes, y te aventaré por las tierras; y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia.
22:15 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and disperse you in the countries, and will consume your filthiness out of you.
22:16 Y tomarás heredad en ti á los ojos de las gentes; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.
22:16 And you shall take yours inheritance in yourself in the sight of the heathen, and you shall know that I am the LORD.
22:17 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
22:17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
22:18 Hijo del hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha tornado en escoria: todos ellos son metal, y estaño, y hierro, y plomo, en medio del horno; escorias de plata se tornaron.
22:18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
22:19 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis tornado en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os junto en medio de Jerusalem.
22:19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because all of you are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
22:20 Como quien junta plata y metal y hierro y plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundir; así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y haré reposar, y os fundiré.
22:20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
22:21 Yo os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.
22:21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and all of you shall be melted in the midst thereof.
22:22 Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo Jehová habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.
22:22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall all of you be melted in the midst thereof; and all of you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.
22:23 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
22:23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
22:24 Hijo del hombre, di á ella: Tú no eres tierra limpia, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.
22:24 Son of man, say unto her, You are the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
22:25 La conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león bramando que arrebata presa: devoraron almas, tomaron haciendas y honra, aumentaron sus viudas en medio de ella.
22:25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
22:26 Sus sacerdotes violentaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios: entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni distinguieron entre inmundo y limpio; y de mis sábados escondieron sus ojos, y yo era profanado en medio de ellos.
22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
22:27 Sus príncipes en medio de ella como lobos que arrebataban presa, derramando sangre, para destruir las almas, para pábulo de su avaricia.
22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
22:28 Y sus profetas revocaban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad, y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová; y Jehová no había hablado.
22:28 And her prophets have daubed them with plaster, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus says the Lord GOD, when the LORD has not spoken.
22:29 El pueblo de la tierra usaba de opresión, y cometía robo, y al afligido y menesteroso hacían violencia, y al extranjero oprimían sin derecho.
22:29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
22:30 Y busqué de ellos hombre que hiciese vallado y que se pusiese al portillo delante de mí por la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese; y no lo hallé.
22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
22:31 Por tanto derramé sobre ellos mi ira; con el fuego de mi ira los consumí: torné el camino de ellos sobre su cabeza, dice el Señor Jehová.
22:31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, says the Lord GOD.

23:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
23:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
23:2 Hijo del hombre, hubo dos mujeres, hijas de una madre,
23:2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
23:3 Las cuales fornicaron en Egipto; en sus mocedades fornicaron. Allí fueron apretados sus pechos, y allí fueron estrujados los pechos de su virginidad.
23:3 And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
23:4 Y llamábanse, la mayor, Aholah, y su hermana, Aholibah; las cuales fueron mías, y parieron hijos é hijas. Y llamáronse, Samaria, Aholah; y Jerusalem, Aholibah.
23:4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.
23:5 Y Aholah cometió fornicación en mi poder: y prendóse de sus amantes, los Asirios sus vecinos,
23:5 And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,
23:6 Vestidos de cárdeno, capitanes y príncipes, mancebos todos de codiciar, caballeros que andaban á caballo.
23:6 Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
23:7 Y puso sus fornicaciones con ellos, con todos los más escogidos de los hijos de los Asirios, y con todos aquellos de quienes se enamoró: contaminóse con todos los ídolos de ellos.
23:7 Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.
23:8 Y no dejó sus fornicaciones de Egipto: porque con ella se echaron en su mocedad, y ellos comprimieron los pechos de su virginidad, y derramaron sobre ella su fornicación.
23:8 Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.
23:9 Por lo cual la entregué en mano de sus amantes, en mano de los hijos de los Asirios, de quienes se había enamorado.
23:9 Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
23:10 Ellos descubrieron sus vergüenzas, tomaron sus hijos y sus hijas, y á ella mataron á cuchillo: y vino á ser de nombre entre las mujeres, pues en ella hicieron juicios.
23:10 These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.
23:11 Y viólo su hermana Aholibah, y estragó su amor más que ella; y sus fornicaciones, más que las fornicaciones de su hermana.
23:11 And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.
23:12 Enamoróse de los hijos de los Asirios, sus vecinos, capitanes y príncipes, vestidos en perfección, caballeros que andaban á caballo, todos ellos mancebos de codiciar.
23:12 She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.
23:13 Y vi que se había contaminado: un camino era el de ambas.
23:13 Then I saw that she was defiled, that they took both one way,
23:14 Y aumentó sus fornicaciones: pues cuando vió hombres pintados en la pared, imágenes de Caldeos pintadas de color,
23:14 And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
23:15 Ceñidos de talabartes por sus lomos, y tiaras pintadas en sus cabezas, teniendo todos ellos parecer de capitanes, á la manera de los hombres de Babilonia, nacidos en tierra de Caldeos,
23:15 Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
23:16 Enamoróse de ellos en viéndolos, y envióles mensajeros á la tierra de los Caldeos.
23:16 And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
23:17 Y entraron á ella los hombres de Babilonia á la cama de los amores, y contamináronla con su fornicación; y ella también se contaminó con ellos, y su deseo se hartó de ellos.
23:17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
23:18 Así hizo patentes sus fornicaciones, y descubrió sus vergüenzas: por lo cual mi alma se hartó de ella, como se había ya hartado mi alma de su hermana.
23:18 So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like my mind was alienated from her sister.
23:19 Aun multiplicó sus fornicaciones trayendo en memoria los días de su mocedad, en los cuales había fornicado en la tierra de Egipto.
23:19 Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
23:20 Y enamoróse de sus rufianes, cuya carne es como carne de asnos, y cuyo flujo como flujo de caballos.
23:20 For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
23:21 Así tornaste á la memoria la suciedad de tu mocedad, cuando comprimieron tus pechos en Egipto por los pechos de tu mocedad.
23:21 Thus you called to remembrance the lewdness of your youth, in bruising your teats by the Egyptians for the breast of your youth.
23:22 Por tanto, Aholibah, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo despierto tus amantes contra ti, de los cuales se hartó tu deseo, y yo les haré venir contra ti en derredor;
23:22 Therefore, O Aholibah, thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your mind is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side;
23:23 Los de Babilonia, y todos los Caldeos, mayordomos, y príncipes, y capitanes, todos los de Asiria con ellos: mancebos todos ellos de codiciar, capitanes y príncipes, nobles y principales, que montan á caballo todos ellos.
23:23 The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.
23:24 Y vendrán sobre ti carros, carretas, y ruedas, y multitud de pueblos. Escudos, y paveses, y capacetes pondrán contra ti en derredor; y yo daré el juicio delante de ellos, y por sus leyes te juzgarán.
23:24 And they shall come against you with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against you buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments.
23:25 Y pondré mi celo contra ti, y obrarán contigo con furor; quitarte han tu nariz y tus orejas; y lo que te quedare caerá á cuchillo. Ellos tomarán tus hijos y tus hijas, y tu residuo será consumido por el fuego.
23:25 And I will set my jealousy against you, and they shall deal furiously with you: they shall take away your nose and yours ears; and your remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take your sons and your daughters; and your residue shall be devoured by the fire.
23:26 Y te desnudarán de tus vestidos, y tomarán los vasos de tu gloria.
23:26 They shall also strip you out of your clothes, and take away your fair jewels.
23:27 Y haré cesar de ti tu suciedad, y tu fornicación de la tierra de Egipto: ni más levantarás á ellos tus ojos, ni nunca más te acordarás de Egipto.
23:27 Thus will I make your lewdness to cease from you, and your whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that you shall not lift up yours eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
23:28 Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo te entrego en mano de aquellos que tú aborreciste, en mano de aquellos de los cuales se hartó tu deseo:
23:28 For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your mind is alienated:
23:29 Los cuales obrarán contigo con odio, y tomarán todo lo que tú trabajaste, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta: y descubriráse la torpeza de tus fornicaciones, y tu suciedad, y tus fornicaciones.
23:29 And they shall deal with you hatefully, and shall take away all your labour, and shall leave you naked and bare: and the nakedness of your whoredoms shall be discovered, both your lewdness and your whoredoms.
23:30 Estas cosas se harán contigo, porque fornicaste en pos de las gentes, con las cuales te contaminaste en sus ídolos.
23:30 I will do these things unto you, because you have gone a whoring after the heathen, and because you are polluted with their idols.
23:31 En el camino de tu hermana anduviste: yo pues pondré su cáliz en tu mano.
23:31 You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore will I give her cup into yours hand.
23:32 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Beberás el hondo y ancho cáliz de tu hermana; de ti se mofarán las gentes, y te escarnecerán: de grande cabida es.
23:32 Thus says the Lord GOD; You shall drink of your sister's cup deep and large: you shall be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it contains much.
23:33 Serás llena de embriaguez y de dolor por el cáliz de soledad y de asolamiento, por el cáliz de tu hermana Samaria.
23:33 You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.
23:34 Lo beberás pues, y lo agotarás, y quebrarás sus tiestos; y tus pechos arrancarás; porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová.
23:34 You shall even drink it and suck it out, and you shall break the earthen ware thereof, and pluck off yours own breasts: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.
23:35 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto te has olvidado de mí, y me has echado tras tus espaldas, por eso, lleva tú también tu suciedad y tus fornicaciones.
23:35 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have forgotten me, and cast me behind your back, therefore bear you also your lewdness and your whoredoms.
23:36 Y díjome Jehová: Hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú á Aholah, y á Aholibah, y les denunciarás sus abominaciones?
23:36 The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, will you judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;
23:37 Porque han adulterado, y hay sangre en sus manos, y han fornicado con sus ídolos; y aun sus hijos que me habían engendrado, hicieron pasar por el fuego, quemándolos.
23:37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.
23:38 Aun esto más me hicieron: contaminaron mi santuario en aquel día, y profanaron mis sábados;
23:38 Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
23:39 Pues habiendo sacrificado sus hijos á sus ídolos, entrábanse en mi santuario el mismo día para contaminarlo: y he aquí, así hicieron en medio de mi casa.
23:39 For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.
23:40 Y cuanto más, que enviaron por hombres que vienen de lejos, á los cuales había sido enviado mensajero: y he aquí vinieron; y por amor de ellos te lavaste, y alcoholaste tus ojos, y te ataviaste con adornos:
23:40 And furthermore, that all of you have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom you did wash yourself, painted your eyes, and decked yourself with ornaments,
23:41 Y te sentaste sobre suntuoso estrado, y fué adornada mesa delante de él, y sobre ella pusiste mi perfume y mi óleo.
23:41 And sat upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon you have set mine incense and mine oil.
23:42 Y oyóse en ella voz de compañía en holganza: y con los varones fueron traídos de la gente común los Sabeos del desierto; y pusieron manillas sobre sus manos, y coronas de gloria sobre sus cabezas.
23:42 And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
23:43 Y dije á la envejecida en adulterios: Sus prostituciones cumplirán ellos ahora, y ella con ellos:
23:43 Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?
23:44 Porque han venido á ella como quien viene á mujer ramera: así vinieron á Aholah y á Aholibah, mujeres depravadas.
23:44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that plays the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.
23:45 Por tanto, hombres justos las juzgarán por la ley de las adúlteras, y por la ley de las que derraman sangre: porque son adúlteras, y sangre hay en sus manos.
23:45 And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
23:46 Por lo que así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Yo haré subir contra ellas compañías, las entregaré á turbación y á rapiña:
23:46 For thus says the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.
23:47 Y la compañía de gentes las apedreará con piedras, y las acuchillará con sus espadas: matarán á sus hijos y á sus hijas, y sus casas consumirán con fuego.
23:47 And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
23:48 Y haré cesar la depravación de la tierra, y escarmentarán todas las mujeres, y no harán según vuestra torpeza.
23:48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
23:49 Y sobre vosotras pondrán vuestra obscenidad, y llevaréis los pecados de vuestros ídolos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
23:49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and all of you shall bear the sins of your idols: and all of you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel / EZEQUIEL
24:1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová en el noveno año, en el mes décimo, á los diez del mes, diciendo:
24:1 Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
24:2 Hijo del hombre, escríbete el nombre de este día: el rey de Babilonia se puso sobre Jerusalem este mismo día.
24:2 Son of man, write you the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
24:3 Y habla á la casa de rebelión por parábola, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Pon una olla, ponla, y echa también en ella agua:
24:3 And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
24:4 Junta sus piezas en ella; todas buenas piezas, pierna y espalda; hínchela de huesos escogidos.
24:4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
24:5 Toma una oveja escogida; y también enciende los huesos debajo de ella; haz que hierva bien; coced también sus huesos dentro de ella.
24:5 Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
24:6 Pues así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres, de la olla no espumada, y cuya espuma no salió de ella! Por sus piezas, por sus piezas sácala; no caiga sobre ella suerte.
24:6 Wherefore thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
24:7 Porque su sangre fué en medio de ella: sobre una piedra alisada la puso; no la derramó sobre la tierra para que fuese cubierta con polvo.
24:7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
24:8 Habiendo, pues, hecho subir la ira para hacer venganza, yo pondré su sangre sobre la dura piedra, para que no sea cubierta.
24:8 That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
24:9 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres! Pues también haré yo gran hoguera,
24:9 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
24:10 Multiplicando la leña, encendiendo el fuego, para consumir la carne, y hacer la salsa; y los huesos serán quemados:
24:10 Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.
24:11 Asentando después la olla vacía sobre sus brasas, para que se caldee, y se queme su fondo, y se funda en ella su suciedad, y se consuma su espuma.
24:11 Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.
24:12 En fraude se cansó, y no salió de ella su mucha espuma. En fuego será su espuma consumida.
24:12 She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
24:13 En tu suciedad perversa padecerás: porque te limpié, y tú no te limpiaste de tu suciedad: nunca más te limpiarás, hasta que yo haga reposar mi ira sobre ti.
24:13 In your filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged you, and you were not purged, you shall not be purged from your filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon you.
24:14 Yo Jehová he hablado; vendrá, y harélo. No me tornaré atrás, ni tendré misericordia, ni me arrepentiré: según tus caminos y tus obras te juzgarán, dice el Señor Jehová.
24:14 I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to your ways, and according to your doings, shall they judge you, says the Lord GOD.
24:15 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
24:15 Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
24:16 Hijo del hombre, he aquí que yo te quito de golpe el deseo de tus ojos: no endeches, ni llores, ni corran tus lágrimas.
24:16 Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of yours eyes with a stroke: yet neither shall you mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down.
24:17 Reprime el suspirar, no hagas luto de mortuorios: ata tu bonete sobre ti, y pon tus zapatos en tus pies, y no te cubras con rebozo, ni comas pan de hombres.
24:17 Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the head decoration of yours head upon you, and put on your shoes upon your feet, and cover not your lips, and eat not the bread of men.
24:18 Y hablé al pueblo por la mañana, y á la tarde murió mi mujer: y á la mañana hice como me fué mandado.
24:18 So I spoke unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
24:19 Y díjome el pueblo: ¿No nos enseñarás qué nos significan estas cosas que tú haces?
24:19 And the people said unto me, Will you not tell us what these things are to us, that you do so?
24:20 Y yo les dije: Palabra de Jehová fué á mí, diciendo:
24:20 Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
24:21 Di á la casa de Israel: Así ha dicho el Señor Dios: He aquí yo profano mi santuario, la gloria de vuestra fortaleza, el deseo de vuestros ojos, y el regalo de vuestra alma: vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas que dejasteis, caerán á cuchillo.
24:21 Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom all of you have left shall fall by the sword.
24:22 Y haréis de la manera que yo hice: no os cubriréis con rebozo, ni comeréis pan de hombres;
24:22 And all of you shall do as I have done: all of you shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.
24:23 Y vuestros bonetes estarán sobre vuestras cabezas, y vuestros zapatos en vuestros pies: no endecharéis ni lloraréis, sino que os consumiréis á causa de vuestras maldades, y gemiréis unos con otros.
24:23 And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: all of you shall not mourn nor weep; but all of you shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.
24:24 Ezequiel pues os será por señal; según todas las cosas que él hizo, haréis: en viniendo esto, entonces sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
24:24 Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he has done shall all of you do: and when this comes, all of you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
24:25 Y tú, hijo del hombre, el día que yo quitaré de ellos su fortaleza, el gozo de su gloria, el deseo de sus ojos, y el cuidado de sus almas, sus hijos y sus hijas,
24:25 Also, you son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
24:26 Este día vendrá á ti un escapado para traer las nuevas.
24:26 That he that escapes in that day shall come unto you, to cause you to hear it with yours ears?
24:27 En aquel día se abrirá tu boca para hablar con el escapado, y hablarás, y no estarás más mudo; y les serás por señal, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
24:27 In that day shall your mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and you shall speak, and be no more dumb: and you shall be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
