11:1 Y ACONTECIO que el pueblo se quejó á oídos de Jehová: y oyólo Jehová, y enardecióse su furor, y encendióse en ellos fuego de Jehová y consumió el un cabo del campo.
11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
11:2 Entonces el pueblo dió voces á Moisés, y Moisés oró á Jehová, y soterróse el fuego.
11:2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
11:3 Y llamó á aquel lugar Taberah; porque el fuego de Jehová se encendió en ellos.
11:3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
11:4 Y el vulgo que había en medio tuvo un vivo deseo, y volvieron, y aun lloraron los hijos de Israel, y dijeron: ¡Quién nos diera á comer carne!
11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
11:5 Nos acordamos del pescado que comíamos en Egipto de balde, de los cohombros, y de los melones, y de los puerros, y de las cebollas, y de los ajos:
11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
11:6 Y ahora nuestra alma se seca; que nada sino maná ven nuestros ojos.
11:6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.
11:7 Y era el maná como semilla de culantro, y su color como color de bdelio.
11:7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.
11:8 Derrámabase el pueblo, y recogían, y molían en molinos, ó majaban en morteros, y lo cocían en caldera, ó hacían de él tortas: y su sabor era como sabor de aceite nuevo.
11:8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
11:9 Y cuando descendía el rocío sobre el real de noche, el maná descendía de sobre él.
11:9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.
11:10 Y oyó Moisés al pueblo, que lloraba por sus familias, cada uno á la puerta de su tienda: y el furor de Jehová se encendió en gran manera; también pareció mal á Moisés.
11:10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.
11:11 Y dijo Moisés á Jehová: ¿Por qué has hecho mal á tu siervo? ¿y por qué no he hallado gracia en tus ojos, que has puesto la carga de todo este pueblo sobre mi?
11:11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore have you afflicted your servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people upon me?
11:12 ¿Concebí yo á todo este pueblo? ¿engendrélo yo, para que me digas: Llévalo en tu seno, como lleva la que cría al que mama, á la tierra de la cual juraste á sus padres?
11:12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that you should say unto me, Carry them in your bosom, as a nursing father bears the nursing infant, unto the land which you sware unto their fathers?
11:13 ¿De donde tengo yo carne para dar á todo este pueblo? porque lloran á mí, diciendo: Danos carne que comamos.
11:13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
11:14 No puedo yo solo soportar á todo este pueblo, que me es pesado en demasía.
11:14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
11:15 Y si así lo haces tú conmigo, yo te ruego que me des muerte, si he hallado gracia en tus ojos; y que yo no vea mi mal.
11:15 And if you deal thus with me, kill me, I pray you, instantly, if I have found favour in your sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.
11:16 Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Júntame setenta varones de los ancianos de Israel, que tu sabes que son ancianos del pueblo y sus principales; y tráelos á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, y esperen allí contigo.
11:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with you.
11:17 Y yo descenderé y hablaré allí contigo; y tomaré del espíritu que está en ti, y pondré en ellos; y llevarán contigo la carga del pueblo, y no la llevarás tú solo.
11:17 And I will come down and talk with you there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you bear it not yourself alone.
11:18 Empero dirás al pueblo: Santificaos para mañana, y comeréis carne: pues que habéis llorado en oídos de Jehová, diciendo: ¡Quién nos diera á comer carne! ¡cierto mejor nos iba en Egipto! Jehová, pues, os dará carne, y comeréis.
11:18 And say you unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and all of you shall eat flesh: for all of you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and all of you shall eat.
11:19 No comeréis un día, ni dos días, ni cinco días, ni diez días, ni veinte días;
m11:19 All of you shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
11:20 Sino hasta un mes de tiempo, hasta que os salga por las narices, y os sea en aborrecimiento: por cuanto menospreciasteis á Jehová que está en medio de vosotros, y llorasteis delante de él, diciendo: ¿Para qué salimos acá de Egipto?
11:20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that all of you have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
11:21 Entonces dijo Moisés: Seiscientos mil de á pie es el pueblo en medio del cual yo estoy; y tú dices: Les daré carne, y comerán el tiempo de un mes.
11:21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
11:22 ¿Se han de degollar para ellos ovejas y bueyes que les basten? ¿ó se juntarán para ellos todos los peces de la mar para que tengan abasto?
11:22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
11:23 Entonces Jehová respondió á Moisés: ¿Hase acortado la mano de Jehová? ahora verás si te sucede mi dicho, ó no.
11:23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? you shall see now whether my word shall come to pass unto you or not.
11:24 Y salió Moisés, y dijo al pueblo las palabras de Jehová: y juntó los setenta varones de los ancianos del pueblo, é hízolos estar alrededor del tabernáculo.
11:24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
11:25 Entonces Jehová descendió en la nube, y hablóle; y tomó del espíritu que estaba en él, y púsolo en los setenta varones ancianos; y fué que, cuando posó sobre ellos el espíritu, profetizaron, y no cesaron.
11:25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
11:26 Y habían quedado en el campo dos varones, llamado el uno Eldad y el otro Medad, sobre los cuales también reposó el espíritu: estaban estos entre los escritos, mas no habían salido al tabernáculo; y profetizaron en el campo.
11:26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
11:27 Y corrió un mozo, y dió aviso á Moisés, y dijo: Eldad y Medad profetizan en el campo.
11:27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
11:28 Entonces respondió Josué hijo de Nun, ministro de Moisés, uno de sus mancebos, y dijo: Señor mío Moisés, impídelos.
11:28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
11:29 Y Moisés le respondió: ¿Tienes tú celos por mí? mas ojalá que todo el pueblo de Jehová fuesen profetas, que Jehová pusiera su espíritu sobre ellos.
11:29 And Moses said unto him, Envy you for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
11:30 Y recogióse Moisés al campo, él y los ancianos de Israel.
11:30 And Moses got him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
11:31 Y salió un viento de Jehová, y trajo codornices de la mar, y dejólas sobre el real, un día de camino de la una parte, y un día de camino de la otra, en derredor del campo, y casi dos codos sobre la haz de la tierra.
11:31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
11:32 Entonces el pueblo estuvo levantado todo aquel día, y toda la noche, y todo el día siguiente, y recogiéronse codornices: el que menos, recogió diez montones; y las tendieron para sí á lo largo en derredor del campo.
11:32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
11:33 Aun estaba la carne entre los dientes de ellos, antes que fuese mascada, cuando el furor de Jehová se encendió en el pueblo, é hirío Jehová al pueblo con una muy grande plaga.
11:33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD stroke the people with a very great plague.
11:34 Y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Kibroth-hattaavah, por cuanto allí sepultaron al pueblo codicioso.
11:34 And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.
11:35 De Kibroth-hattaavah movió el pueblo á Haseroth, y pararon en Haseroth.
11:35 And the people journeyed from Kibrothhattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.

12:1 Y HABLARON María y Aarón contra Moisés á causa de la mujer Ethiope que había tomado: porque él había tomado mujer Ethiope.
12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
12:2 Y dijeron: ¿Solamente por Moisés ha hablado Jehová? ¿no ha hablado también por nosotros? Y oyólo Jehová.
12:2 And they said, Has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? has he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
12:3 Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra,
12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
12:4 Y luego dijo Jehová á Moisés, y á Aarón, y á María: Salid vosotros tres al tabernáculo del testimonio. Y salieron ellos tres.
12:4 And the LORD spoke suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out all of you three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
12:5 Entonces Jehová descendió en la columna de la nube, y púsose á la la puerta del tabernáculo, y llamó á Aarón y á María; y salieron ellos ambos.
12:5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
12:6 Y él les dijo: Oid ahora mis palabras: si tuviereis profeta de Jehová, le apareceré en visión, en sueños hablaré con él.
12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
12:7 No así á mi siervo Moisés, que es fiel en toda mi casa:
12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
12:8 Boca á boca hablaré con él, y á las claras, y no por figuras; y verá la apariencia de Jehová: ¿por qué pues no tuvisteis temor de hablar contra mi siervo Moisés?
12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the embodiment of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were all of you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
12:9 Entonces el furor de Jehová se encendió en ellos; y fuése.
12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
12:10 Y la nube se apartó del tabernáculo: y he aquí que María era leprosa como la nieve; y miró Aarón á María, y he aquí que estaba leprosa.
12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
12:11 Y dijo Aarón á Moisés: ¡Ah! señor mío, no pongas ahora sobre nosotros pecado; porque locamente lo hemos hecho, y hemos pecado.
12:11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I plead to you, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12:12 No sea ella ahora como el que sale muerto del vientre de su madre, consumida la mitad de su carne.
12:12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb.
12:13 Entonces Moisés clamó á Jehová, diciendo: Ruégote, oh Dios, que la sanes ahora.
12:13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I plead to you.
12:14 Respondió Jehová á Moisés: Pues si su padre hubiera escupido en su cara, ¿no se avergonzaría por siete días?: sea echada fuera del real por siete días, y después se reunirá.
12:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
12:15 Así María fué echada del real siete días; y el pueblo no pasó adelante hasta que se le reunió María.
12:15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
12:16 (H13-1) Y DESPUÉS movió el pueblo de Haseroth, y asentaron el campo en el desierto de Parán.
12:16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

13:1 (H13-2) Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
13:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
13:2 (H13-3) Envía tú hombres que reconozcan la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo doy á los hijos de Israel: de cada tribu de sus padres enviaréis un varón, cada uno príncipe entre ellos.
13:2 Send you men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall all of you send a man, every one a ruler among them.
13:3 (H13-4) Y Moisés los envío desde el desierto de Parán, conforme á la palabra de Jehová: y todos aquellos varones eran príncipes de los hijos de Israel.
13:3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
13:4 (H13-5) Los nombres de los cuales son estos: De la tribu de Rubén, Sammua hijo de Zaccur.
13:4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
13:5 (H13-6) De la tribu de Simeón, Saphat hijo de Huri.
13:5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
13:6 (H13-7) De la tribu de Judá, Caleb hijo de Jephone.
13:6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
13:7 (H13-8) De la tribu de Issachâr, Igal hijo de Joseph.
13:7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
13:8 (H13-9) De la tribu de Ephraim, Oseas hijo de Nun.
13:8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
13:9 (H13-10) De la tribu de Benjamín, Palti hijo de Raphu.

13:16 (H13-17) Estos son los nombres de los varones que Moisés envió á reconocer la tierra: y á Oseas hijo de Nun, le puso Moisés el nombre de Josué.
13:16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
13:17 (H13-18) Enviólos, pues, Moisés á reconocer la tierra de Canaán, diciéndoles: Subid por aquí, por el mediodía, y subid al monte:
13:17 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
13:18 (H13-19) Y observad la tierra qué tal es; y el pueblo que la habita, si es fuerte ó débil, si poco ó numeroso;
13:18 And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwells therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
13:19 (H13-20) Qué tal la tierra habitada, si es buena ó mala; y qué tales son las ciudades habitadas, si de tiendas ó de fortalezas;
13:19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
13:20 (H13-21) Y cuál sea el terreno, si es pingüe ó flaco, si en él hay ó no árboles: y esforzaos, y coged del fruto del país. Y el tiempo era el tiempo de las primeras uvas.
13:20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be all of you of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first-fruits grapes.
13:21 (H13-22) Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron la tierra desde el desierto de Zin hasta Rehob, entrando en Emath.
13:21 So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
13:22 (H13-23) Y subieron por el mediodía, y vinieron hasta Hebrón: y allí estaban Aimán, y Sesai, y Talmai, hijos de Anac. Hebrón fué edificada siete años antes de Zoán, la de Egipto.
13:22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
13:23 (H13-24) Y llegaron hasta el arroyo de Escol, y de allí cortaron un sarmiento con un racimo de uvas, el cual trejeron dos en un palo, y de las granadas y de los higos.
13:23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
13:24 (H13-25) Y llamóse aquel lugar Nahal-escol por el racimo que cortaron de allí los hijos de Israel.
13:24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
13:25 (H13-26) Y volvieron de reconocer la tierra al cabo de cuarenta días.
13:25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
13:26 (H13-27) Y anduvieron y vinieron á Moisés y á Aarón, y á toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, en el desierto de Parán, en Cades, y diéronles la respuesta, y á toda la congregación, y les mostraron el fruto de la tierra.
13:26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
13:27 (H13-28) Y le contaron, y dijeron: Nosotros llegamos á la tierra á la cual nos enviaste, la que ciertamente fluye leche y miel; y este es el fruto de ella.
13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land where you sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
13:28 (H13-29) Mas el pueblo que habita aquella tierra es fuerte, y las ciudades muy grandes y fuertes; y también vimos allí los hijos de Anac.
13:28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
13:29 (H13-30) Amalec habita la tierra del mediodía; y el Hetheo, y el Jebuseo, y el Amorrheo, habitan en el monte; y el Cananeo habita junto á la mar, y á la ribera del Jordán.
13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
13:30 (H13-31) Entonces Caleb hizo callar el pueblo delante de Moisés, y dijo: Subamos luego, y poseámosla; que más podremos que ella.
13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
13:31 (H13-32) Mas los varones que subieron con él, dijeron: No podremos subir contra aquel pueblo; porque es más fuerte que nosotros.
13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
13:32 (H13-33) y vituperaron entre los hijos de Israel la tierra que habían reconocido, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra que traga á sus moradores; y todo el pueblo que vimos en medio de ella, son hombres de grande estatura.
13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
13:33 (H13-34) También vimos allí gigantes, hijos de Anac, raza de los gigantes: y éramos nosotros, á nuestro parecer, como langostas; y así les parecíamos á ellos.
13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

14:1 ENTONCES toda la congregación alzaron grita, y dieron voces: y el pueblo lloró aquella noche.
14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
14:2 Y quejáronse contra Moisés y contra Aarón todos los hijos de Israel; y díjoles toda la multitud: ¡Ojalá muriéramos en la tierra de Egipto; ó en este desierto ojalá muriéramos!
14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
14:3 ¿Y por qué nos trae Jehová á esta tierra para caer á cuchillo y que nuestras mujeres y nuestros chiquitos sean por presa? ¿no nos sería mejor volvernos á Egipto?
14:3 And wherefore has the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
14:4 Y decían el uno al otro: Hagamos un capitán, y volvámonos á Egipto.
14:4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
14:5 Entonces Moisés y Aarón cayeron sobre sus rostros delante de toda la multitud de la congregación de los hijos de Israel.
14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
14:6 Y Josué hijo de Nun, y Caleb hijo de Jephone, que eran de los que habían reconocido la tierra, rompieron sus vestidos;
14:6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
14:7 Y hablaron á toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra en gran manera buena.
14:7 And they spoke unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
14:8 Si Jehová se agradare de nosotros, él nos meterá en esta tierra, y nos la entregará; tierra que fluye leche y miel.
14:8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey.
14:9 Por tanto, no seáis rebeldes contra Jehová, ni temáis al pueblo de aquesta tierra, porque nuestro pan son: su amparo se ha apartado de ellos, y con nosotros está Jehová: no los temáis.
14:9 Only rebel not all of you against the LORD, neither fear all of you the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
14:10 Entonces toda la multitud habló de apedrearlos con piedras. Mas la gloria de Jehová se mostró en el tabernáculo del testimonio á todos los hijos de Israel.
14:10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
14:11 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: ¿Hasta cuándo me ha de irritar este pueblo? ¿hasta cuándo no me ha de creer con todas las señales que he hecho en medio de ellos?.
14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?
14:12 Yo le heriré de mortandad, y lo destruiré, y á ti te pondré sobre gente grande y más fuerte que ellos.
14:12 I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they.
14:13 Y Moisés respondió á Jehová: Oiránlo luego los Egipcios, porque de en medio de ellos sacaste á este pueblo con tu fortaleza:
14:13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for you brought up this people in your might from among them;)
14:14 Y lo dirán á los habitadores de esta tierra; los cuales han oído que tú, oh Jehová, estabas en medio de este pueblo, que ojo á ojo aparecías tú, oh Jehová, y que tu nube estaba sobre ellos, y que de día ibas delante de ellos en columna de nube, y de noche en columna de fuego:
14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you LORD are among this people, that you LORD are seen face to face, and that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
14:15 Y que has hecho morir á este pueblo como á un hombre: y las gentes que hubieren oído tu fama hablarán, diciendo:
14:15 Now if you shall kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of you will speak, saying,
14:16 Porque no pudo Jehová meter este pueblo en la tierra de la cual les había jurado, los mató en el desierto.
14:16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore unto them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.
14:17 Ahora, pues, yo te ruego que sea magnificada la fortaleza del Señor, como lo hablaste, diciendo:
14:17 And now, I plead to you, let the power of my LORD be great, according as you have spoken, saying,
14:18 Jehová, tardo de ira y grande en misericordia, que perdona la iniquidad y la rebelión, y absolviendo no absolverá al culpado; que visita la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos hasta los terceros y hasta los cuartos.
14:18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
14:19 Perdona ahora la iniquidad de este pueblo según la grandeza de tu misericordia, y como has perdonado á este pueblo desde Egipto hasta aquí.
14:19 Pardon, I plead to you, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of your mercy, and as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
14:20 Entonces Jehová dijo: Yo lo he perdonado conforme á tu dicho:
14:20 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to your word:
14:21 Mas, ciertamente vivo yo y mi gloria hinche toda la tierra,
14:21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
14:22 Que todos los que vieron mi gloria y mis señales que he hecho en Egipto y en el desierto, y me han tentado ya diez veces, y no han oído mi voz,
14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
14:23 No verán la tierra de la cual juré á sus padres: no, ninguno de los que me han irritado la verá.
14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I swore unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
14:24 Empero mi siervo Caleb, por cuanto hubo en él otro espíritu, y cumplió de ir en pos de mi, yo le meteré en la tierra donde entró y su simiente la recibirá en heredad.
14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into where he went; and his seed shall possess it.
14:25 Ahora bien, el Amalecita y el Cananeo habitan en el valle; volveos mañana, y partíos al desierto, camino del mar Bermejo.
14:25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
14:26 Y Jehová habló á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
14:26 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
14:27 ¿Hasta cuándo oiré esta depravada multitud que murmura contra mí, las querellas de los hijos de Israel, que de mí se quejan?
14:27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
14:28 Diles: Vivo yo, dice Jehová, que según habéis hablado á mis oídos, así haré yo con vosotros:
14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, says the LORD, as all of you have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
14:29 En este desierto caerán vuestros cuerpos; todos vuestros contados según toda vuestra cuenta, de veinte años arriba, los cuales habéis murmurado contra mí;
14:29 Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.
14:30 Vosotros á la verdad no entraréis en la tierra, por la cual alcé mi mano de haceros habitar en ella; exceptuando á Caleb hijo de Jephone, y á Josué hijo de Nun.
14:30 Doubtless all of you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
14:31 Mas vuestros chiquitos, de los cuales dijisteis que serían por presa, yo los introduciré, y ellos conocerán la tierra que vosotros despreciasteis.
14:31 But your little ones, which all of you said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which all of you have despised.
14:32 Y en cuanto á vosotros, vuestros cuerpos caerán en este desierto.
14:32 But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness.
14:33 Y vuestros hijos andarán pastoreando en el desierto cuarenta años, y ellos llevarán vuestras fornicaciones, hasta que vuestros cuerpos sean consumidos en el desierto.
14:33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.
14:34 Conforme al número de los días, de los cuarenta días en que reconocisteis la tierra, llevaréis vuestras iniquidades cuarenta años, un año por cada día; y conoceréis mi castigo.
14:34 After the number of the days in which all of you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall all of you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and all of you shall know my breach of promise.
14:35 Yo Jehová he hablado; así haré á toda esta multitud perversa que se ha juntado contra mí; en este desierto serán consumidos, y ahí morirán.
14:35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
14:36 Y los varones que Moisés envió á reconocer la tierra, y vueltos habían hecho murmurar contra él á toda la congregación, desacreditando aquel país,
14:36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
14:37 Aquellos varones que habían hablado mal de la tierra, murieron de plaga delante de Jehová.
14:37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
14:38 Mas Josué hijo de Nun, y Caleb hijo de Jephone, quedaron con vida de entre aquellos hombres que habían ido á reconocer la tierra.
14:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.
14:39 Y Moisés dijo estas cosas á todos los hijos de Israel, y el pueblo se enlutó mucho.
14:39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
14:40 Y levantáronse por la mañana, y subieron á la cumbre del monte, diciendo: Henos aquí para subir al lugar del cual ha hablado Jehová; porque hemos pecado.
14:40 And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD has promised: for we have sinned.
14:41 Y dijo Moisés: ¿Por qué quebrantáis el dicho de Jehová? Esto tampoco os sucederá bien.
14:41 And Moses said, Wherefore now do all of you transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
14:42 No subáis, porque Jehová no está en medio de vosotros, no seáis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos.
14:42 Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that all of you be not smitten before your enemies.
14:43 Porque el Amalecita y el Cananeo están allí delante de vosotros, y caeréis á cuchillo: pues por cuanto os habéis retraído de seguir á Jehová, por eso no será Jehová con vosotros.
14:43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and all of you shall fall by the sword: because all of you are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
14:44 Sin embargo, se obstinaron en subir á la cima del monte: mas el arca de la alianza de Jehová, y Moisés, no se apartaron de en medio del campo.
14:44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
14:45 Y descendieron el Amalecita y el Cananeo, que habitaban en aquel monte, é hiriéronlos y derrotáronlos, persiguiéndolos hasta Horma.
14:45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and stroke them, and humiliated them, even unto Hormah.

15:1 Y JEHOVA habló á Moisés, diciendo:
15:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:2 Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Cuando hubiereis entrado en la tierra de vuestras habitaciones, que yo os doy,
15:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When all of you be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
15:3 E hiciereis ofrenda encendida á Jehová, holocausto, ó sacrificio, por especial voto, ó de vuestra voluntad, ó para hacer en vuestras solemnidades olor suave á Jehová, de vacas ó de ovejas;
15:3 And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd or of the flock:
15:4 Entonces el que ofreciere su ofrenda á Jehová, traerá por presente una décima de un epha de flor de harina, amasada con la cuarta parte de un hin de aceite;
15:4 Then shall he that offers his offering unto the LORD bring a food offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of oil.
15:5 Y de vino para la libación ofrecerás la cuarta parte de un hin, además del holocausto ó del sacrificio, por cada un cordero.
15:5 And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shall you prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
15:6 Y por cada carnero harás presente de dos décimas de flor de harina, amasada con el tercio de un hin de aceite:
15:6 Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a food offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil.
15:7 Y de vino para la libación ofrecerás el tercio de un hin, en olor suave á Jehová.
15:7 And for a drink offering you shall offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
15:8 Y cuando ofreciereis novillo en holocausto ó sacrificio, por especial voto, ó de paces á Jehová,
15:8 And when you prepare a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD:
15:9 Ofrecerás con el novillo un presente de tres décimas de flor de harina, amasada con la mitad de un hin de aceite:
15:9 Then shall he bring with a bullock a food offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an hin of oil.
15:10 Y de vino para la libación ofrecerás la mitad de un hin, en ofrenda encendida de olor suave á Jehová.
15:10 And you shall bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
15:11 Así se hará con cada un buey, ó carnero, ó cordero, lo mismo de ovejas que de cabras.
15:11 Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.
15:12 Conforme al número así haréis con cada uno según el número de ellos.
15:12 According to the number that all of you shall prepare, so shall all of you do to every one according to their number.
15:13 Todo natural hará estas cosas así, para ofrecer ofrenda encendida de olor suave á Jehová.
15:13 All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
15:14 Y cuando habitare con vosotros extranjero, ó cualquiera que estuviere entre vosotros por vuestras edades, si hiciere ofrenda encendida de olor suave á Jehová, como vosotros hiciereis, así hará él.
15:14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as all of you do, so he shall do.
15:15 Un mismo estatuto tendréis, vosotros de la congregación y el extranjero que con vosotros mora; estatuto que será perpetuo por vuestras edades: como vosotros, así será el peregrino delante de Jehová.
15:15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as all of you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
15:16 Una misma ley y un mismo derecho tendréis, vosotros y el peregrino que con vosotros mora.
15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you.
15:17 Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
15:17 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:18 Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Cuando hubiereis entrado en la tierra á la cual yo os llevo,
15:18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When all of you come into the land where I bring you,
15:19 Será que cuando comenzareis á comer el pan de la tierra, ofreceréis ofrenda á Jehová.
15:19 Then it shall be, that, when all of you eat of the bread of the land, all of you shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD.
15:20 De lo primero que amasareis, ofreceréis una torta en ofrenda; como la ofrenda de la era, así la ofreceréis.
15:20 All of you shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as all of you do the heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall all of you heave it.
15:21 De las primicias de vuestras masas daréis á Jehová ofrenda por vuestras generaciones.
15:21 Of the first of your dough all of you shall give unto the LORD an heave offering in your generations.
15:22 Y cuando errareis, y no hiciereis todos estos mandamientos que Jehová ha dicho á Moisés,
15:22 And if all of you have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken unto Moses,
15:23 Todas las cosas que Jehová os ha mandado por la mano de Moisés, desde el día que Jehová lo mandó, y en adelante por vuestras edades,
15:23 Even all that the LORD has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;
15:24 Será que, si el pecado fué hecho por yerro con ignorancia de la congregación, toda la congregación ofrecerá un novillo por holocausto, en olor suave á Jehová, con su presente y su libación, conforme á la ley; y un macho cabrío en expiación.
15:24 Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his food offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
15:25 Y el sacerdote hará expiación por toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel; y les será perdonado, porque yerro es: y ellos traerán sus ofrendas, ofrenda encendida á Jehová, y sus expiaciones delante de Jehová, por sus yerros:
15:25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
15:26 Y será perdonado á toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, y al extranjero que peregrina entre ellos, por cuanto es yerro de todo el pueblo.
15:26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourns among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
15:27 Y si una persona pecare por yerro, ofrecerá una cabra de un año por expiación.
15:27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
15:28 Y el sacerdote hará expiación por la persona que habrá pecado por yerro, cuando pecare por yerro delante de Jehová, la reconciliará, y le será perdonado.
15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sins ignorantly, when he sins by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
15:29 El natural entre los hijos de Israel, y el peregrino que habitare entre ellos, una misma ley tendréis para el que hiciere algo por yerro.
15:29 All of you shall have one law for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them.
15:30 Mas la persona que hiciere algo con altiva mano, así el natural como el extranjero, á Jehová injurió; y la tal persona será cortada de en medio de su pueblo.
15:30 But the soul that does ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproaches the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15:31 Por cuanto tuvo en poco la palabra de Jehová, y dió por nulo su mandamiento, enteramente será cortada la tal persona: su iniquidad será sobre ella.
15:31 Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
15:32 Y estando los hijos de Israel en el desierto, hallaron un hombre que recogía leña en día de sábado.
15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
15:33 Y los que le hallaron recogiendo leña trajéronle á Moisés y á Aarón, y á toda la congregación:
15:33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
15:34 Y pusiéronlo en la cárcel, por que no estaba declarado qué le habían de hacer.
15:34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
15:35 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Irremisiblemente muera aquel hombre; apedréelo con piedras toda la congregación fuera del campo.
15:35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
15:36 Entonces lo sacó la congregación fuera del campo, y apedreáronlo con piedras, y murió; como Jehová mandó á Moisés.
15:36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
15:37 Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
15:37 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:38 Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles que se hagan pezuelos (franjas) en los remates de sus vestidos, por sus generaciones; y pongan en cada pezuelo de los remates un cordón de cárdeno:
15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a thread of blue:
15:39 Y serviros ha de pezuelo, para que cuando lo viereis, os acordéis de todos los mandamientos de Jehová, para ponerlos por obra; y no miréis en pos de vuestro corazón y de vuestros ojos, en pos de los cuales fornicáis:
15:39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that all of you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that all of you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which all of you use to go a whoring:
15:40 Para que os acordéis, y hagáis todos mis mandamientos, y seáis santos á vuestro Dios.
15:40 That all of you may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
15:41 Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para ser vuestro Dios: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
15:41 I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.

16:1 Y CORÉ, hijo de Ishar, hijo de Coath, hijo de Leví; y Dathán y Abiram, hijos de Eliab; y Hon, hijo de Peleth, de los hijos de Rubén, tomaron gente,
16:1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
16:2 Y levantáronse contra Moisés con doscientos y cincuenta varones de los hijos de Israel, príncipes de la congregación, de los del consejo, varones de nombre;
16:2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
16:3 Y se juntaron contra Moisés y Aarón, y les dijeron: Básteos, porque toda la congregación, todos ellos son santos, y en medio de ellos está Jehová: ¿por qué, pues, os levantáis vosotros sobre la congregación de Jehová?
16:3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, All of you take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift all of you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
16:4 Y como lo oyó Moisés, echóse sobre su rostro;
16:4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
16:5 Y habló á Coré y á todo su séquito, diciendo: Mañana mostrará Jehová quién es suyo, y al santo harálo llegar á sí; y al que él escogiere, él lo allegará á sí.
16:5 And he spoke unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even tomorrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he has chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
16:6 Haced esto: tomad incensarios, Coré y todo su séquito:
16:6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
16:7 Y poned fuego en ellos, y poned en ellos sahumerio delante de Jehová mañana; y será que el varón á quien Jehová escogiere, aquel será el santo: básteos esto, hijos de Leví.
16:7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD does choose, he shall be holy: all of you take too much upon you, all of you sons of Levi.
16:8 Dijo más Moisés á Coré: Oid ahora, hijos de Leví:
16:8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, all of you sons of Levi:
16:9 ¿Os es poco que el Dios de Israel os haya apartado de la congregación de Israel, haciéndoos allegar á sí para que ministraseis en el servicio del tabernáculo de Jehová, y estuvieseis delante de la congregación para ministrarles?
16:9 Seems it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
16:10 ¿Y que te hizo acercar á ti, y á todos tus hermanos los hijos de Leví contigo; para que procuréis también el sacerdocio?
16:10 And he has brought you near to him, and all your brethren the sons of Levi with you: and seek all of you the priesthood also?
16:11 Por tanto, tú y todo tu séquito sois los que os juntáis contra Jehová: pues Aarón, ¿qué es para que contra él murmuréis?
16:11 For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that all of you murmur against him?
16:12 Y envió Moisés á llamar á Dathán y Abiram, hijos de Eliab; mas ellos respondieron: No iremos allá:
16:12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
16:13 ¿Es poco que nos hayas hecho venir de una tierra que destila leche y miel, para hacernos morir en el desierto, sino que también te enseñorees de nosotros imperiosamente?
16:13 Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us?
16:14 Ni tampoco nos has metido tú en tierra que fluya leche y miel, ni nos has dado heredades de tierras y viñas: ¿has de arrancar los ojos de estos hombres? No subiremos.
16:14 Moreover you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
16:15 Entonces Moisés se enojó en gran manera, y dijo á Jehová: No mires á su presente: ni aun un asno he tomado de ellos, ni á ninguno de ellos he hecho mal.
16:15 And Moses was very angry, and said unto the LORD, Respect not you their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
16:16 Después dijo Moisés á Coré: Tú y todo tu séquito, poneos mañana delante de Jehová; tú, y ellos, y Aarón:
16:16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be you and all your company before the LORD, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow:
16:17 Y tomad cada uno su incensario, y poned sahumerio en ellos, y allegad delante de Jehová cada uno su incensario: doscientos y cincuenta incensarios: tú también, y Aarón, cada uno con su incensario.
16:17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring all of you before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
16:18 Y tomaron cada uno su incensario, y pusieron en ellos fuego, y echaron en ellos sahumerio, y pusiéronse á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio con Moisés y Aarón.
16:18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
16:19 Ya Coré había hecho juntar contra ellos toda la congregación á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio: entonces la gloria de Jehová apareció á toda la congregación.
16:19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.
16:20 Y Jehová habló á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
16:20 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
16:21 Apartaos de entre esta congregación, y consumirlos he en un momento.
16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
16:22 Y ellos se echaron sobre sus rostros, y dijeron: Dios, Dios de los espíritus de toda carne, ¿no es un hombre el que pecó? ¿y airarte has tu contra toda la congregación?
16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?
16:23 Entonces Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
16:23 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:24 Habla á la congregación, diciendo: Apartaos de en derredor de la tienda de Coré, Dathán, y Abiram.
16:24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
16:25 Y Moisés se levantó, y fué á Dathán y Abiram; y los ancianos de Israel fueron en pos de él.
16:25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
16:26 Y él habló á la congregación, diciendo: Apartaos ahora de las tiendas de estos impíos hombres, y no toquéis ninguna cosa suya, por que no perezcáis en todos sus pecados.
16:26 And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest all of you be consumed in all their sins.
16:27 Y apartáronse de las tiendas de Coré, de Dathán, y de Abiram en derredor: y Dathán y Abiram salieron y pusiéronse á las puertas de sus tiendas, con sus mujeres, y sus hijos, y sus chiquitos.
16:27 So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
16:28 Y dijo Moisés: En esto conoceréis que Jehová me ha enviado para que hiciese todas estas cosas: que no de mi corazón las hice.
16:28 And Moses said, Hereby all of you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
16:29 Si como mueren todos los hombres murieren éstos, ó si fueren ellos visitados á la manera de todos los hombres, Jehová no me envió.
16:29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD has not sent me.
16:30 Mas si Jehová hiciere una nueva cosa, y la tierra abriere su boca, y los tragare con todas sus cosas, y descendieren vivos al abismo, entonces conoceréis que estos hombres irritaron á Jehová.
16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then all of you shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
16:31 Y aconteció, que en acabando él de hablar todas estas palabras, rompióse la tierra que estaba debajo de ellos:
16:31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
16:32 Y abrió la tierra su boca, y tragólos á ellos, y á sus casas, y á todos los hombres de Coré, y á toda su hacienda.
16:32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
16:33 Y ellos, con todo lo que tenían, descendieron vivos al abismo, y cubriólos la tierra, y perecieron de en medio de la congregación.
16:33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
16:34 Y todo Israel, los que estaban en derredor de ellos, huyeron al grito de ellos; porque decían: No nos trague también la tierra.
16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
16:35 Y salió fuego de Jehová, y consumió los doscientos y cincuenta hombres que ofrecían el sahumerio.
16:35 And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
16:36 Entonces Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
16:36 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:37 Di á Eleazar, hijo de Aarón sacerdote, que tome los incensarios de en medio del incendio, y derrame más allá el fuego; porque son santificados:
16:37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter you the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
16:38 Los incensarios de estos pecadores contra sus almas: y harán de ellos planchas extendidas para cubrir el altar: por cuanto ofrecieron con ellos delante de Jehová, son santificados; y serán por señal á los hijos de Israel.
16:38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
16:39 Y el sacerdote Eleazar tomó los incensarios de metal con que los quemados habían ofrecido; y extendiéronlos para cubrir el altar,
16:39 And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
16:40 En recuerdo á los hijos de Israel que ningún extraño que no sea de la simiente de Aarón, llegue á ofrecer sahumerio delante de Jehová, porque no sea como Coré, y como su séquito; según se lo dijo Jehová por mano de Moisés.
16:40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
16:41 El día siguiente toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel murmuró contra Moisés y Aarón, diciendo: Vosotros habéis muerto al pueblo de Jehová.
16:41 But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, All of you have killed the people of the LORD.
16:42 Y aconteció que, como se juntó la congregación contra Moisés y Aarón, miraron hacia el tabernáculo del testimonio, y he aquí la nube lo había cubierto, y apareció la gloria de Jehová.
16:42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
16:43 Y vinieron Moisés y Aarón delante del tabernáculo del testimonio.
16:43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
16:44 Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
16:44 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:45 Apartaos de en medio de esta congregación, y consumirélos en un momento. Y ellos se echaron sobre sus rostros.
16:45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
16:46 Y dijo Moisés A Aarón: Toma el incensario, y pon en él fuego del altar, y sobre él pon perfume, y ve presto á la congregación, y haz expiación por ellos; porque el furor ha salido de delante de la faz de Jehová: la mortandad ha comenzado.
16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
16:47 Entonces tomó Aarón el incensario, como Moisés dijo, y corrió en medio de la congregación: y he aquí que la mortandad había comenzado en el pueblo: y él puso perfume, é hizo expiación por el pueblo.
16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
16:48 Y púsose entre los muertos y los vivos, y cesó la mortandad.
16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
16:49 Y los que murieron en aquella mortandad fueron catorce mil y setecientos, sin los muertos por el negocio de Coré.
16:49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
16:50 Después se volvió Aarón á Moisés á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, cuando la mortandad había cesado.
16:50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

17:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
17:2 Habla á los hijos de Israel, y toma de ellos una vara por cada casa de los padres, de todos los príncipes de ellos, doce varas conforme á las casas de sus padres; y escribirás el nombre de cada uno sobre su vara.
17:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write you every man's name upon his rod.
17:3 Y escribirás el nombre de Aarón sobre la vara de Leví; porque cada cabeza de familia de sus padres tendrá una vara.
17:3 And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
17:4 Y las pondrás en el tabernáculo del testimonio delante del testimonio, donde yo me declararé á vosotros.
17:4 And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
17:5 Y será, que el varón que yo escogiere, su vara florecerá: y haré cesar de sobre mí las quejas de los hijos de Israel, con que murmuran contra vosotros.
17:5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
17:6 Y Moisés habló á los hijos de Israel, y todos los príncipes de ellos le dieron varas; cada príncipe por las casas de sus padres una vara, en todas doce varas; y la vara de Aarón estaba entre las varas de ellos.
17:6 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
17:7 Y Moisés puso las varas delante de Jehová en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
17:7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
17:8 Y aconteció que el día siguiente vino Moisés al tabernáculo del testimonio; y he aquí que la vara de Aarón de la casa de Leví había brotado, y echado flores, y arrojado renuevos, y producido almendras.
17:8 And it came to pass, that on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
17:9 Entonces sacó Moisés todas las varas de delante de Jehová á todos los hijos de Israel; y ellos lo vieron, y tomaron cada uno su vara.
17:9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
17:10 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Vuelve la vara de Aarón delante del testimonio, para que se guarde por señal á los hijos rebeldes; y harás cesar sus quejas de sobre mí, porque no mueran.
17:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
17:11 E hízolo Moisés: como le mandó Jehová, así hizo.
17:11 And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
17:12 Entonces los hijos de Israel hablaron á Moisés, diciendo: He aquí nosotros somos muertos, perdidos somos, todos nosotros somos perdidos.
17:12 And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
17:13 Cualquiera que se llegare, el que se acercare al tabernáculo de Jehová morirá: ¿acabaremos de perecer todos?
17:13 Whosoever comes any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?

18:1 Y JEHOVA dijo á Aarón: Tú y tus hijos, y la casa de tu padre contigo, llevaréis el pecado del santuario: y tú y tus hijos contigo llevaréis el pecado de vuestro sacerdocio.
18:1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, You and your sons and your father's house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
18:2 Y á tus hermanos también, la tribu de Leví, la tribu de tu padre, hazlos llegar á ti, y júntense contigo, y servirte han; y tú y tus hijos contigo serviréis delante del tabernáculo del testimonio.
18:2 And your brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring you with you, that they may be joined unto you, and minister unto you: but you and your sons with you shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.
18:3 Y guardarán lo que tú ordenares, y el cargo de todo el tabernáculo: mas no llegarán á los vasos santos ni al altar, porque no mueran ellos y vosotros.
18:3 And they shall keep your charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor all of you also, die.
18:4 Se juntarán, pues, contigo, y tendrán el cargo del tabernáculo del testimonio en todo el servicio del tabernáculo; ningún extraño se ha de llegar á vosotros.
18:4 And they shall be joined unto you, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
18:5 Y tendréis la guarda del santuario, y la guarda del altar, para que no sea más la ira sobre los hijos de Israel.
18:5 And all of you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.
18:6 Porque he aquí yo he tomado á vuestros hermanos los Levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, dados á vosotros en don de Jehová, para que sirvan en el ministerio del tabernáculo del testimonio.
18:6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:7 Mas tú y tus hijos contigo guardaréis vuestro sacerdocio en todo negocio del altar, y del velo adentro, y ministraréis. Yo os he dado en don el servicio de vuestro sacerdocio; y el extraño que se llegare, morirá.
18:7 Therefore you and your sons with you shall keep your priest's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and all of you shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that comes nigh shall be put to death.
18:8 Dijo más Jehová á Aarón: He aquí yo te he dado también la guarda de mis ofrendas: todas las cosas consagradas de los hijos de Israel te he dado por razón de la unción, y á tus hijos, por estatuto perpetuo.
18:8 And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given you the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto you have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to your sons, by an ordinance for ever.
18:9 Esto será tuyo de la ofrenda de las cosas santas reservadas del fuego: toda ofrenda de ellos, todo presente suyo, y toda expiación por el pecado de ellos, que me han de presentar, será cosa muy santa para ti y para tus hijos.
18:9 This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every food offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
18:10 En el santuario la comerás; todo varón comerá de ella: cosa santa será para ti.
18:10 In the most holy place shall you eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto you.
18:11 Esto también será tuyo: la ofrenda elevada de sus dones, y todas las ofrendas agitadas de los hijos de Israel, he dado á ti, y á tus hijos, y á tus hijas contigo, por estatuto perpetuo: todo limpio en tu casa comerá de ellas.
18:11 And this is yours; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in your house shall eat of it.
18:12 De aceite, y de mosto, y de trigo, todo lo más escogido, las primicias de ello, que presentarán á Jehová, á ti las he dado.
18:12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the first-fruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given you.
18:13 Las primicias de todas las cosas de la tierra de ellos, las cuales traerán á Jehová, serán tuyas: todo limpio en tu casa comerá de ellas.
18:13 And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be yours; every one that is clean in yours house shall eat of it.
18:14 Todo lo consagrado por voto en Israel será tuyo.
18:14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be yours.
18:15 Todo lo que abriere matriz en toda carne que ofrecerán á Jehová, así de hombres como de animales, será tuyo: mas has de hacer redimir el primogénito del hombre: también harás redimir el primogénito de animal inmundo.
18:15 Every thing that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be yours: nevertheless the firstborn of man shall you surely redeem, and the first born of unclean beasts shall you redeem.
18:16 Y de un mes harás efectuar el rescate de ellos, conforme á tu estimación, por precio de cinco siclos, al siclo del santuario, que es de veinte óbolos.
18:16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shall you redeem, according to yours estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
18:17 Mas el primogénito de vaca, y el primogénito de oveja, y el primogénito de cabra, no redimirás; santificados son: la sangre de ellos rociarás sobre el altar, y quemarás la grosura de ellos, ofrenda encendida en olor suave á Jehová.
18:17 But the first born of a cow, or the first born of a sheep, or the first born of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy: you shall sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
18:18 Y la carne de ellos será tuya: como el pecho de la mecedura y como la espaldilla derecha, será tuya.
18:18 And the flesh of them shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours.
18:19 Todas las ofrendas elevadas de las cosas santas, que los hijos de Israel ofrecieren á Jehová, helas dado para ti, y para tus hijos y para tus hijas contigo, por estatuto perpetuo: pacto de sal perpetuo es delante de Jehová para ti y para tu simiente contigo.
18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto you and to your seed with you.
18:20 Y Jehová dijo á Aarón: De la tierra de ellos no tendrás heredad, ni entre ellos tendrás parte: Yo soy tu parte y tu heredad en medio de los hijos de Israel.
18:20 And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any part among them: I am your part and yours inheritance among the children of Israel.
18:21 Y he aquí yo he dado á los hijos de Leví todos los diezmos en Israel por heredad, por su ministerio, por cuanto ellos sirven en el ministerio del tabernáculo del testimonio.
18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:22 Y no llegarán más los hijos de Israel al tabernáculo del testimonio, porque no lleven pecado, por el cual mueran.
18:22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
18:23 Mas los Levitas harán el servicio del tabernáculo del testimonio, y ellos llevarán su iniquidad: estatuto perpetuo por vuestras edades; y no poseerán heredad entre los hijos de Israel.
18:23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
18:24 Porque á los Levitas he dado por heredad los diezmos de los hijos de Israel, que ofrecerán á Jehová en ofrenda: por lo cual les he dicho: Entre los hijos de Israel no poseerán heredad.
18:24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
18:25 Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
18:25 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
18:26 Así hablarás á los Levitas, y les dirás: Cuando tomareis de los hijos de Israel los diezmos que os he dado de ellos por vuestra heredad, vosotros presentaréis de ellos en ofrenda mecida á Jehová el diezmo de los diezmos.
18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When all of you take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then all of you shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
18:27 Y se os contará vuestra ofrenda como grano de la era, y como acopio del lagar.
18:27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.
18:28 Así ofreceréis también vosotros ofrenda á Jehová de todos vuestros diezmos que hubiereis recibido de los hijos de Israel; y daréis de ellos la ofrenda de Jehová á Aarón el sacerdote.
18:28 Thus all of you also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which all of you receive of the children of Israel; and all of you shall give thereof the LORD's heave offering to Aaron the priest.
18:29 De todos vuestros dones ofreceréis toda ofrenda á Jehová; de todo lo mejor de ellos ofreceréis la porción que ha de ser consagrada.
18:29 Out of all your gifts all of you shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
18:30 Y les dirás: Cuando ofreciereis lo mejor de ellos, será contado á los Levitas por fruto de la era, y commo fruto del lagar.
18:30 Therefore you shall say unto them, When all of you have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing floor, and as the increase of the winepress.
18:31 Y lo comeréis en cualquier lugar, vosotros y vuestra familia: pues es vuestra remuneración por vuestro ministerio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
18:31 And all of you shall eat it in every place, all of you and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:32 Y cuando vosotros hubiereis ofrecido de ello lo mejor suyo, no llevaréis por ello pecado: y no habéis de contaminar las cosas santas de los hijos de Israel, y no moriréis.
18:32 And all of you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when all of you have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall all of you pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest all of you die.

19:2 Esta es la ordenanza de la ley que Jehová ha prescrito, diciendo: Di á los hijos de Israel que te traigan una vaca bermeja, perfecta, en la cual no haya falta, sobre la cual no se haya puesto yugo:
19:2 This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD has commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
19:3 Y la daréis á Eleazar el sacerdote, y él la sacará fuera del campo, y harála degollar en su presencia.
19:3 And all of you shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
19:4 Y tomará Eleazar el sacerdote de su sangre con su dedo, y rociará hacia la delantera del tabernáculo del testimonio con la sangre de ella siete veces;
19:4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:
19:5 Y hará quemar la vaca ante sus ojos: su cuero y su carne y su sangre, con su estiercol, hará quemar.
19:5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
19:6 Luego tomará el sacerdote palo de cedro, é hisopo, y escarlata, y lo echará en medio del fuego en que arde la vaca.
19:6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
19:7 El sacerdote lavará luego sus vestidos, lavará también su carne con agua, y después entrará en el real; y será inmundo el sacerdote hasta la tarde.
19:7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
19:8 Asimismo el que la quemó, lavará sus vestidos en agua, también lavará en agua su carne, y será inmundo hasta la tarde.
19:8 And he that burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.
19:9 Y un hombre limpio recogerá las cenizas de la vaca, y las pondrá fuera del campo en lugar limpio, y las guardará la congregación de los hijos de Israel para el agua de separación: es una expiación.
19:9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
19:10 Y el que recogió las cenizas de la vaca, lavará sus vestidos, y será inmundo hasta la tarde: y será á los hijos de Israel, y al extranjero que peregrina entre ellos, por estatuto perpetuo.
19:10 And he that gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourns among them, for a statute for ever.
19:11 El que tocare muerto de cualquiera persona humana, siete días será inmundo:
19:11 He that touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
19:12 Este se purificará al tercer día con aquesta agua, y al séptimo día será limpio; y si al tercer día no se purificare, no será limpio al séptimo día.
19:12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
19:13 Cualquiera que tocare en muerto, en persona de hombre que estuviere muerto, y no se purificare, el tabernáculo de Jehová contaminó; y aquella persona será cortada de Israel: por cuanto el agua de la separación no fué rociada sobre él, inmundo será; y su inmundicia será sobre él.
19:13 Whosoever touches the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifies not himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
19:14 Esta es la ley para cuando alguno muriere en la tienda: cualquiera que entrare en la tienda y todo lo que estuviere en ella, será inmundo siete días.
19:14 This is the law, when a man dies in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
19:15 Y todo vaso abierto, sobre el cual no hubiere tapadera bien ajustada, sera inmundo.
19:15 And every open vessel, which has no covering bound upon it, is unclean.
19:16 Y cualquiera que tocare en muerto á cuchillo sobre la haz del campo, ó en muerto, ó en hueso humano, ó en sepulcro, siete días será inmundo.
19:16 And whosoever touches one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
19:17 Y para el inmundo tomarán de la ceniza de la quemada vaca de la expiación, y echarán sobre ella agua viva en un vaso:
19:17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:
19:18 Y un hombre limpio tomará hisopo. y mojarálo en el agua, y rociará sobre la tienda, y sobre todos los muebles, y sobre las personas que allí estuvieren, y sobre aquel que hubiere tocado el hueso, ó el matado, ó el muerto, ó el sepulcro:
19:18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
19:19 Y el limpio rociará sobre el inmundo al tercero y al séptimo día: y cuando lo habrá purificado al día séptimo, él lavará luego sus vestidos, y á sí mismo se lavará con agua, y será limpio á la tarde.
19:19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
19:20 Y el que fuere inmundo, y no se purificare, la tal persona será cortada de entre la congregación, por cuanto contaminó el tabernáculo de Jehová: no fué rociada sobre él el agua de separación, es inmundo.
19:20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation has not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
19:21 Y les será por estatuto perpetuo: también el que rociare el agua de la separación lavará sus vestidos; y el que tocare el agua de la separación, será inmundo hasta la tarde.
19:21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkles the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that touches the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
19:22 Y todo lo que el inmundo tocare, será inmundo: y la persona que lo tocare, será inmunda hasta la tarde.
19:22 And whatsoever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until even.

20:1 Y LLEGARON los hijos de Israel, toda la congregación, al desierto de Zin, en el mes primero, y asentó el pueblo en Cades; y allí murió María, y fué allí sepultada.
20:1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
20:2 Y como no hubiese agua para la congregación, juntáronse contra Moisés y Aarón.
20:2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
20:3 Y regañó el pueblo con Moisés, y hablaron diciendo: ¡Ojalá que nosotros hubiéramos muerto cuando perecieron nuestros hermanos delante de Jehová!
20:3 And the people find fault with Moses, and spoke, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
20:4 Y ¿por qué hiciste venir la congregación de Jehová á este desierto, para que muramos aquí nosotros y nuestras bestias?
20:4 And why have all of you brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
20:5 ¿Y por qué nos has hecho subir de Egipto, para traernos á este mal lugar? No es lugar de sementera, de higueras, de viñas, ni granadas: ni aun de agua para beber.
20:5 And wherefore have all of you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
20:6 Y fuéronse Moisés y Aarón de delante de la congregación á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, y echáronse sobre sus rostros; y la gloria de Jehová apareció sobre ellos.
20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.
20:7 Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
20:7 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
20:8 Toma la vara y reune la congregación, tú y Aarón tu hermano, y hablad á la peña en ojos de ellos; y ella dará su agua, y les sacarás aguas de la peña, y darás de beber á la congregación, y á sus bestias.
20:8 Take the rod, and gather you the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak all of you unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink.
20:9 Entonces Moisés tomó la vara de delante de Jehová, como él le mandó.
20:9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
20:10 Y juntaron Moisés y Aarón la congregación delante de la peña, y díjoles: Oid ahora, rebeldes: ¿os hemos de hacer salir aguas de esta peña?
20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, all of you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
20:11 Entonces alzó Moisés su mano, é hirió la peña con su vara dos veces: y salieron muchas aguas, y bebió la congregación, y sus bestias.
20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he stroke the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
20:12 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés y á Aarón: Por cuanto no creísteis en mí, para santificarme en ojos de los hijos de Israel, por tanto, no meteréis esta congregación en la tierra que les he dado.
20:12 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because all of you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore all of you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
20:13 Estas son las aguas de la rencilla, por las cuales contendieron los hijos de Israel con Jehová, y él se santificó en ellos.
20:13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
20:14 Y envió Moisés embajadores al rey de Edom desde Cades: Así dice Israel tu hermano: Tú has sabido todo el trabajo que nos ha venido:
20:14 And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the travail that has befallen us:
20:15 Cómo nuestros padres descendieron á Egipto, y estuvimos en Egipto largo tiempo, y los Egipcios nos maltrataron, y á nuestros padres;
20:15 How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:
20:16 Y clamamos á Jehová, el cual oyó nuestra voz, y envió ángel, y sacónos de Egipto; y he aquí estamos en Cades, ciudad al extremo de tus confines:
20:16 And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border:
20:17 Rogámoste que pasemos por tu tierra; no pasaremos por labranza, ni por viña, ni beberemos agua de pozos: por el camino real iremos, sin apartarnos á la diestra ni á la siniestra, hasta que hayamos pasado tu término.
20:17 Let us pass, I pray you, through your country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your borders.
20:18 Y Edom le respondió: No pasarás por mi país, de otra manera saldré contra ti armado.
20:18 And Edom said unto him, You shall not pass by me, lest I come out against you with the sword.
20:19 Y los hijos de Israel dijeron: Por el camino seguido iremos; y si bebiéremos tus aguas yo y mis ganados, daré el precio de ellas: ciertamente sin hacer otra cosa, pasaré de seguida.
20:19 And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of your water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing anything else, go through on my feet.
20:20 Y él respondió: No pasarás. Y salió Edom contra él con mucho pueblo, y mano fuerte.
20:20 And he said, You shall not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
20:21 No quiso, pues, Edom dejar pasar á Israel por su término, y apartóse Israel de él.
20:21 Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
20:22 Y partidos de Cades los hijos de Israel, toda aquella congregación, vinieron al monte de Hor.
20:22 And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.
20:23 Y Jehová habló á Moisés y Aarón en el monte de Hor, en los confines de la tierra de Edom, diciendo:
20:23 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
20:24 Aarón será reunido á sus pueblos; pues no entrará en la tierra que yo di á los hijos de Israel, por cuanto fuisteis rebeldes á mi mandamiento en las aguas de la rencilla.
20:24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because all of you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
20:25 Toma á Aarón y á Eleazar su hijo, y hazlos subir al monte de Hor;
20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
20:26 Y haz desnudar á Aarón sus vestidos, y viste de ellos á Eleazar su hijo; porque Aarón será reunido á sus pueblos, y allí morirá.
20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
20:27 Y Moisés hizo como Jehová le mandó: y subieron al monte de Hor á ojos de toda la congregación.
20:27 And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
20:28 Y Moisés hizo desnudar á Aarón de sus vestidos y vistiólos á Eleazar su hijo: y Aarón murió allí en la cumbre del monte: y Moisés y Eleazar descendieron del monte.
20:28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.
20:29 Y viendo toda la congregación que Aarón era muerto, hiciéronle duelo por treinta días todas las familias de Israel.
20:29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

21:1 Y OYENDO el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, el cual habitaba al mediodía, que venía Israel por el camino de los centinelas, peleó con Israel, y tomó de él presa.
21:1 And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.
21:2 Entonces Israel hizo voto á Jehová, y dijo: Si en efecto entregares á este pueblo en mi mano, yo destruiré sus ciudades.
21:2 And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
21:3 Y Jehová escuchó la voz de Israel, y entregó al Cananeo, y destruyólos á ellos y á sus ciudades; y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Horma.
21:3 And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
21:4 Y partieron del monte de Hor, camino del mar Bermejo, para rodear la tierra de Edom; y abatióse el ánimo del pueblo por el camino.
21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
21:5 Y habló el pueblo contra Dios y Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? que ni hay pan, ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano.
21:5 And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have all of you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.
21:6 Y Jehová envió entre el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo: y murió mucho pueblo de Israel.
21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
21:7 Entonces el pueblo vino á Moisés, y dijeron: Pecado hemos por haber hablado contra Jehová, y contra ti: ruega á Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes. Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.
21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
21:8 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Hazte una serpiente ardiente, y ponla sobre la bandera: y será que cualquiera que fuere mordido y mirare á ella, vivirá.
21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks upon it, shall live.
21:9 Y Moisés hizo una serpiente de metal, y púsola sobre la bandera, y fué, que cuando alguna serpiente mordía á alguno, miraba á la serpiente de metal, y vivía.
21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
21:10 Y partieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron campo en Oboth.
21:10 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
21:11 Y partidos de Oboth, asentaron en Ije-abarim, en el desierto que está delante de Moab, al nacimiento del sol.
21:11 And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.
21:12 Partidos de allí, asentaron en la arroyada de Zared.
21:12 From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.
21:13 De allí movieron, y asentaron de la otra parte de Arnón, que está en el desierto, y que sale del término del Amorrheo; porque Arnón es término de Moab, entre Moab y el Amorrheo.
21:13 From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
21:14 Por tanto se dice en el libro de las batallas de Jehová: Lo que hizo en el mar Bermejo, Y en los arroyos de Arnón:
21:14 Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
21:15 Y á la corriente de los arroyos Que va á parar en Ar, Y descansa en el término de Moab.
21:15 And at the stream of the brooks that goes down to the dwelling of Ar, and lies upon the border of Moab.
21:16 Y de allí vinieron á Beer: este es el pozo del cual Jehová dijo á Moisés: Junta al pueblo, y les daré agua.
21:16 And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spoke unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
21:17 Entonces cantó Israel esta canción: Sube, oh pozo; á él cantad:
21:17 Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing all of you unto it:
21:18 Pozo, el cual cavaron los señores; Caváronlo los príncipes del pueblo, Y el legislador, con sus bordones.
21:18 The princes dug the well, the nobles of the people dug it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:
21:19 Y de Mathana á Nahaliel: y de Nahaliel á Bamoth:
21:19 And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:
21:20 Y de Bamoth al valle que está en los campos de Moab, y á la cumbre de Pisga, que mira á Jesimón.
21:20 And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looks toward Jeshimon.
21:21 Y envió Israel embajadores á Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos, diciendo:
21:21 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,
21:22 Pasaré por tu tierra: no nos apartaremos por los labrados, ni por las viñas; no beberemos las aguas de los pozos: por el camino real iremos, hasta que pasemos tu término.
21:22 Let me pass through your land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past your borders.
21:23 Mas Sehón no dejó pasar á Israel por su término: antes juntó Sehón todo su pueblo, y salió contra Israel en el desierto: y vino á Jahaz, y peleó contra Israel.
21:23 And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
21:24 E hirióle Israel á filo de espada, y tomó su tierra desde Arnón hasta Jaboc, hasta los hijos de Ammón: porque el término de los hijos de Ammón era fuerte.
21:24 And Israel stroke him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
21:25 Y tomó Israel todas estas ciudades: y habitó Israel en todas las ciudades del Amorrheo, en Hesbón y en todas sus aldeas.
21:25 And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
21:26 Porque Hesbón era la ciudad de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos; el cual había tenido guerra antes con el rey de Moab, y tomado de su poder toda su tierra hasta Arnón.
21:26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
21:27 Por tanto, dicen los proverbistas: Venid á Hesbón, Edifíquese y repárese la ciudad de Sehón:
21:27 Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:
21:28 Que fuego salió de Hesbón, Y llama de la ciudad de Sehón, Y consumió á Ar de Moab, A los señores de los altos de Arnón.
21:28 For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it has consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.
21:29 Ay de ti, Moab¡ Perecido has, pueblo de Chêmos: Puso sus hijos en huída, Y sus hijas en cautividad, Por Sehón rey de los Amorrheos.
21:29 Woe to you, Moab! you are undone, O people of Chemosh: he has given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
21:30 Mas devastamos el reino de ellos; pereció Hesbón hasta Dibón, Y destruimos hasta Nopha y Medeba.
21:30 We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reachs unto Medeba.
21:31 Así habitó Israel en la tierra del Amorrheo.
21:31 Thus Israel dwelt in the land of the Amorites.
21:32 Y envió Moisés á reconocer á Jazer; y tomaron sus aldeas, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba allí.
21:32 And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.
21:33 Y volvieron, y subieron camino de Basán, y salió contra ellos Og rey de Basán, él y todo su pueblo, para pelear en Edrei.
21:33 And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei.
21:34 Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: No le tengas miedo, que en tu mano lo he dado, á el y á todo su pueblo, y á su tierra; y harás de él como hiciste de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos, que habitaba en Hesbón.
21:34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into your hand, and all his people, and his land; and you shall do to him as you did unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
21:35 E hirieron á él, y á sus hijos, y á toda su gente, sin que le quedara uno, y poseyeron su tierra.
21:35 So they stroke him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.

22:1 Y MOVIERON los hijos de Israel, y asentaron en los campos de Moab, de esta parte del Jordán de Jericó.
22:1 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho.
22:2 Y vió Balac, hijo de Zippor, todo lo que Israel había hecho al Amorrheo.
22:2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
22:3 Y Moab temió mucho á causa del pueblo que era mucho; y angustióse Moab á causa de los hijos de Israel.
22:3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.
22:4 Y dijo Moab á los ancianos de Madián: Ahora lamerá esta gente todos nuestros contornos, como lame el buey la grama del campo. Y Balac, hijo de Zippor, era entonces rey de Moab.
22:4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
22:5 Por tanto envió mensajeros á Balaam hijo de Beor, á Pethor, que está junto al río en la tierra de los hijos de su pueblo, para que lo llamasen, diciendo: Un pueblo ha salido de Egipto, y he aquí cubre la haz de la tierra, y habita delante de mí:
22:5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide opposite to me:
22:6 Ven pues ahora, te ruego, maldíceme este pueblo, porque es más fuerte que yo: quizá podré yo herirlo, y echarlo de la tierra: que yo sé que el que tú bendijeres, será bendito, y el que tú maldijeres, será maldito.
22:6 Come now therefore, I pray you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: possibly I shall prevail, that we may strike them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.
22:7 Y fueron los ancianos de Moab, y los ancianos de Madián, con las dádivas de adivinación en su mano, y llegaron á Balaam, y le dijeron las palabras de Balac.
22:7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spoke unto him the words of Balak.
22:8 Y él les dijo: Reposad aquí esta noche, y yo os referiré las palabras, como Jehová me hablare. Así los príncipes de Moab se quedaron con Balaam.
22:8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.
22:9 Y vino Dios á Balaam, y díjole: ¿Qué varones son estos que están contigo?
22:9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with you?
22:10 Y Balaam respondió á Dios: Balac hijo de Zippor, rey de Moab, ha enviado á mí diciendo:
22:10 And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent unto me, saying,
22:11 He aquí este pueblo que ha salido de Egipto, cubre la haz de la tierra: ven pues ahora, y maldícemelo; quizá podré pelear con él, y echarlo.
22:11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covers the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; possibly I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
22:12 Entonces dijo Dios á Balaam: No vayas con ellos, ni maldigas al pueblo; porque es bendito.
22:12 And God said unto Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people: for they are blessed.
22:13 Así Balaam se levantó por la mañana, y dijo á los príncipes de Balac: Volveos á vuestra tierra, porque Jehová no me quiere dejar ir con vosotros.
22:13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the LORD refuses to give me leave to go with you.
22:14 Y los príncipes de Moab se levantaron, y vinieron á Balac, y dijeron: Balaam no quiso venir con nosotros.
22:14 And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuses to come with us.
22:15 Y tornó Balac á enviar otra vez más príncipes, y más honorables que los otros.
22:15 And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they.
22:16 Los cuales vinieron á Balaam, y dijéronle: Así dice Balac, hijo de Zippor: Ruégote que no dejes de venir á mí:
22:16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus says Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray you, hinder you from coming unto me:
22:17 Porque sin duda te honraré mucho, y haré todo lo que me dijeres: ven pues ahora, maldíceme á este pueblo.
22:17 For I will promote you unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever you says unto me: come therefore, I pray you, curse me this people.
22:18 Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á los siervos de Balac: Aunque Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, no puedo traspasar la palabra de Jehová mi Dios, para hacer cosa chica ni grande.
22:18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
22:19 Ruégoos por tanto ahora, que reposeis aquí esta noche, para que yo sepa que me vuelve á decir Jehová.
22:19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry all of you also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
22:20 Y vino Dios á Balaam de noche, y díjole: Si vinieren á llamarte hombres, levántate y ve con ellos: empero harás lo que yo te dijere.
22:20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call you, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto you, that shall you do.
22:21 Así Balaam se levantó por la mañana, y cinchó su asna, y fué con los príncipes de Moab.
22:21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
22:22 Y el furor de Dios se encendió porque él iba; y el ángel de Jehová se puso en el camino por adversario suyo. Iba, pues, él montado sobre su asna, y con él dos mozos suyos.
22:22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
22:23 Y el asna vió al ángel de Jehová, que estaba en el camino con su espada desnuda en su mano; y apartóse el asna del camino, é iba por el campo. Entonces hirió Balaam al asna para hacerla volver al camino.
22:23 And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam stroke the ass, to turn her into the way.
22:24 Mas el ángel de Jehová se puso en una senda de viñas que tenía pared de una parte y pared de otra.
22:24 But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
22:25 Y viendo el asna al ángel de Jehová, pegóse á la pared, y apretó contra la pared el pie de Balaam: y él volvió á herirla.
22:25 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he stroke her again.
22:26 Y el ángel de Jehová pasó más allá, y púsose en una angostura, donde no había camino para apartarse ni á diestra ni á siniestra.
22:26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
22:27 Y viendo el asna al ángel de Jehová, echóse debajo de Balaam: y enojóse Balaam, é hirió al asna con el palo.
22:27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he stroke the ass with a staff.
22:28 Entonces Jehová abrió la boca al asna, la cual dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué te he hecho, que me has herido estas tres veces?
22:28 And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto you, that you have smitten me these three times?
22:29 Y Balaam respondió al asna: Porque te has burlado de mí: ¡ojalá tuviera espada en mi mano, que ahora te mataría!
22:29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because you have mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill you.
22:30 Y el asna dijo á Balaam: ¿No soy yo tu asna? sobre mí has cabalgado desde que tú me tienes hasta este día; ¿he acostumbrado á hacerlo así contigo? Y él respondió: No.
22:30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I yours ass, upon which you have ridden ever since I was yours unto this day? was I ever known to do so unto you? And he said, Nay.
22:31 Entonces Jehová abrió los ojos á Balaam, y vió al ángel de Jehová que estaba en el camino, y tenía su espada desnuda en su mano. Y Balaam hizo reverencia, é inclinóse sobre su rostro.
22:31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
22:32 Y el ángel de Jehová le dijo: ¿Por qué has herido tu asna estas tres veces? he aquí yo he salido para contrarrestarte, porque tu camino es perverso delante de mí:
22:32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore have you smitten yours ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand you, because your way is perverse before me:
22:33 El asna me ha visto, y hase apartado luego de delante de mí estas tres veces: y si de mí no se hubiera apartado, yo también ahora te mataría á ti, y á ella dejaría viva.
22:33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain you, and saved her alive.
22:34 Entonces Balaam dijo al ángel de Jehová: He pecado, que no sabía que tú te ponías delante de mí en el camino: mas ahora, si te parece mal, yo me volveré.
22:34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that you stood in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease you, I will get me back again.
22:35 Y el ángel de Jehová dijo á Balaam: Ve con esos hombres: empero la palabra que yo te dijere, esa hablarás. Así Balaam fué con los príncipes de Balac.
22:35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
22:36 Y oyendo Balac que Balaam venía, salió á recibirlo á la ciudad de Moab, que está junto al término de Arnón, que es el cabo de los confines.
22:36 And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.
22:37 Y Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿No envié yo á ti á llamarte? ¿por qué no has venido á mí? ¿no puedo yo honrarte?
22:37 And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto you to call you? wherefore came you not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote you to honour?
22:38 Y Balaam respondió á Balac: He aquí yo he venido á ti: mas ¿podré ahora hablar alguna cosa? La palabra que Dios pusiere en mi boca, esa hablaré.
22:38 And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto you: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.
22:39 Y fué Balaam con Balac, y vinieron á la ciudad de Husoth.
22:39 And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth.
22:40 Y Balac hizo matar bueyes y ovejas, y envió á Balaam, y á los príncipes que estaban con él.
22:40 And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.
22:41 Y el día siguiente Balac tomó á Balaam, é hízolo subir á los altos de Baal, y desde allí vió la extremidad del pueblo.
22:41 And it came to pass on the next day, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
