Amos /  Amos

1:1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

1:1 Tekoali koyun yetistiricilerinden Amosun sözleri. Uzziyanin Yahuda, Yehoas oglu Yarovamin Israil Krali oldugu günlerde, depremden iki yil önce Amos Israille ilgili görümler gördü.

1:2 And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

1:2 Söyle dedi: ‹‹RAB Siyondan kükrüyor, Yerusalimden gürlüyor. Yas tutuyor çobanlarin otlaklari, Karmel Daginin doruklari kuruyor.››

1:3 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

1:3 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Samlilarin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Demir düvenlerle Gilat halkini dövdüler.

1:4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

1:4 Bu yüzden Hazaelin evine ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek Ben-Hadatin saraylarini.

1:5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holds the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, says the LORD.

1:5 Samin kapi sürgüsünü kiracagim, Söküp atacagim Aven Vadisinde oturani, Beytedende elinde asayla dolasani; Kîre sürgün edilecek Aram halki.›› RAB diyor.

1:6 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:

1:6 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Gazzelilerin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Edomlulara teslim etmek için Bütün halki sürgün ettiler.

1:7 But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

1:7 Bu yüzden Gazze surlarina ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek saraylarini.

1:8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holds the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord GOD.

1:8 Söküp atacagim Asdotta oturani, Askelonda elinde asayla dolasani, Elimin tersini gösterecegim Ekrona, Yok olacak Filistlilerin sag kalanlari!›› Egemen RAB böyle diyor.

1:9 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

1:9 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Surlularin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Bütün halki Edomlulara teslim edip sürdüler, Dostluk antlasmasini animsamadilar.

1:10 But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

1:10 Bu yüzden Sur Kentinin surlarina ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek saraylarini.››

1:11 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

1:11 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Edomlularin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Kiliçla kovaladilar kardeslerini, Acima nedir bilmediler; Hep yirticiydi öfkeleri, Sonsuza dek sürdü gazaplari.

1:12 But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

1:12 Bu yüzden Temana ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek Bosra saraylarini.››

1:13 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

1:13 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Ammonlularin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Sinirlarini genisletmek için Gilatli gebe kadinlarin karinlarini yardilar.

1:14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

1:14 Bu yüzden Rabba surlarini tutusturacagim, Savas günü çigliklarla, Kasirga günü firtinayla Ates yakip yok edecek saraylarini.

1:15 And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, says the LORD.

1:15 Krallariyla görevlileri, Hepsi sürgüne gidecek.›› RAB böyle diyor.

 Amos

2:1 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

2:1 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Moavlilarin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Edom Kralinin kemiklerini Kireçlesinceye dek yaktilar.

2:2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

2:2 Bu yüzden Moava ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek Keriyot saraylarini. Kargasa, savas naralari, Boru sesleri arasinda ölecek Moav halki.

2:3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, says the LORD.

2:3 Söküp atacagim içinden yöneticisini, Öldürecegim onunla bütün görevlilerini.›› RAB böyle diyor.

2:4 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to go astray, after the which their fathers have walked:

2:4 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Yahudalilarin cezasini kaldirmayacagim. Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Reddettiler yasami, Kurallarima uymadilar; Yalanci putlar saptirdi onlari, Atalarinin da izledigi putlar.

2:5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

2:5 Bu yüzden Yahudaya ates yagdiracagim, Yakip yok edecek Yerusalim saraylarini.››

2:6 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

2:6 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Israillilerin cezasini kaldirmayacagim, Çünkü günah üstüne günah islediler, Dogruyu para için, Yoksulu bir çift çarik için sattilar.

2:7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

2:7 Onlar ki, Yoksulun basini toz toprak içinde çigner Ve mazlumun hakkini bir yana iterler. Baba ogul ayni kizla yatarak Kutsal adimi kirletirler.

2:8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

2:8 Her sunagin yanina, Rehin alinan giysilerin üzerine uzanir, Tanrilarinin Tapinaginda Ceza karsiligi alinan sarabi içerler.

2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

2:9 Ama ben onlarin önünde Amorlulari yok ettim; Sedir agaçlari kadar boylu, Mese kadar güçlü olsa da, Yukaridan meyvesini, Asagidan kökünü kuruttum.

2:10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

2:10 Sizi Misirdan ben çikardim, Amor topraklarini sahiplenesiniz diye Çölde kirk yil size yol gösterdim.

2:11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O all of you children of Israel? says the LORD.

2:11 Ogullarinizdan peygamberler, Gençlerinizden bana adanmis kisiler atadim. Dogru degil mi, ey Israilliler?›› RAB böyle diyor.

2:12 But all of you gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

2:12 ‹‹Sizse bana adanmis kisilere sarap içirdiniz Ve peygamberlere, ‹Peygamberlik etmeyin!› Diye buyruk verdiniz.

2:13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

2:13 ‹‹Tahil yüklü araba topragi nasil ezerse, Iste ben de sizi öyle ezecegim.

2:14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

2:14 Hizli kosan kaçamayacak, Güçlü gücünü gösteremeyecek, Yigit canini kurtaramayacak,

2:15 Neither shall he stand that handles the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rides the horse deliver himself.

2:15 Okçu yerini koruyamayacak, Ayagi tez olan uzaklasamayacak, Atli canini kurtaramayacak,

2:16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says the LORD.

2:16 En yürekli yigitler bile O gün silahlarini birakip kaçacak.›› RAB böyle diyor.

 Amos

3:1 Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

3:1 Ey Israilliler, kulak verin RABbin size, Misirdan çikardigi halka söyledigi su sözlere:

3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

3:2 ‹‹Yeryüzündeki bütün halklar arasindan yalniz sizi tanidim, Bu yüzden suçlarinizi karsiliksiz birakmayacagim.››

3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

3:3 Iki kisi anlasmadan birlikte yürür mü?

3:4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

3:4 Avi olmayan aslan ormanda kükrer mi? Bir sey yakalamadikça genç aslan ininde homurdanir mi?

3:5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no animal trap is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

3:5 Tuzak kurulmamissa, Yerdeki kapana kus düser mi? Içine bir sey düsmedikçe Kapan yerden firlar mi?

3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD has not done it?

3:6 Kentte boru çalinir da halk korkmaz mi? RABbin onayi olmadan bir kentin basina felaket gelir mi?

3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets.

3:7 Gerçek su ki, Egemen RAB kulu peygamberlere Sirrini açmadikça bir sey yapmaz.

3:8 The lion has roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy?

3:8 Aslan kükrer de kim korkmaz? Egemen RAB söyler de kim peygamberlik etmez?

3:9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

3:9 Asdot ve Misir saraylarina duyurun: ‹‹Samiriye daglarinda toplanin›› deyin, ‹‹Kentin ortasindaki büyük kargasayi, Içindeki baskiyi görün.››

3:10 For they know not to do right, says the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

3:10 RAB, ‹‹Onlar dogruluk nedir bilmiyorlar›› diyor, ‹‹Saraylarina zorbalik ve çapul yigmislar.››

3:11 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down your strength from you, and your palaces shall be spoiled.

3:11 Bu yüzden Egemen RAB diyor ki, ‹‹Düsman kusatmakta ülkenizi, Saraylarinizi yagmalayacak, güçsüz kilacak sizi.››

3:12 Thus says the LORD; As the shepherd takes out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

3:12 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Bir çoban aslanin agzindaki hayvanin iki bacagini Ya da kulaginin parçasini nasil kaparsa, Samiriyede sedir köselerine, Divan yastiklarina Kurulan Israilliler de öyle kurtarilacak.

3:13 Hear all of you, and testify in the house of Jacob, says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

3:13 Dinleyin ve Yakup soyunu uyarin.›› Egemen RAB, Her Seye Egemen Tanri konusuyor:

3:14 That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

3:14 ‹‹Isyanlarindan ötürü Israili cezalandirdigim gün, Beytelin sunaklarini da yok edecegim. Kesilip yere düsecek sunagin boynuzlari.

3:15 And I will strike the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, says the LORD.

3:15 Hem kislik hem yazlik evi vuracagim, Yok olacak fildisi evler, Sonu gelecek büyük evlerin.›› RAB böyle diyor.

 Amos

4:1 Hear this word, all of you cattle of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

4:1 Ey sizler, Samiriye Dagindaki Basan inekleri, Yoksula baski yapan, Mazlumu ezen, Beylerine, ‹‹Getir de içelim!›› diyen hanimlar! Kulak verin su sözlere:

4:2 The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.

4:2 Egemen RAB kutsalligi üstüne ant içerek söyle dedi: ‹‹Iste geliyor o günler; Sizi et kancalariyla, En son kalanlarinizi balik çengelleriyle götürecekleri günler.

4:3 And all of you shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and all of you shall cast them into the palace, says the LORD.

4:3 Her biriniz karsinizdaki gedikten çikacak, Harmona atilacaksiniz.›› RAB böyle diyor.

4:4 Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

4:4 ‹‹Beytele gelip günah isleyin, Gilgala gelip daha da günah isleyin! Her sabah kurbanlarinizi, Üç günde bir de ondaliklarinizi getirin.

4:5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this likes you, O all of you children of Israel, says the Lord GOD.

4:5 Sükran sunusu olarak mayali ekmek yakin, Gönülden verdiginiz sunulari açiklayip duyurun! Çünkü bundan hoslaniyorsunuz, ey Israilliler.›› Egemen RAB böyle diyor.

4:6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your places: yet have all of you not returned unto me, says the LORD.

4:6 ‹‹Bütün kentlerinizde açliktan nefesiniz koktu, Bulundugunuz her yerde size kitlik verdim, Yine de bana dönmediniz.›› RAB böyle diyor. verdim››.

4:7 And also I have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

4:7 ‹‹Hasat mevsimine daha üç ay varken, Sizden yagmuru da esirgedim. Bir kente yagmur yagdirdim, Öbürüne yagdirmadim. Bir tarla yagmur aldi, Öteki almayip kurudu.

4:8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have all of you not returned unto me, says the LORD.

4:8 Su bulmak için Kent kent sersemce dolastiniz; Suya doyamadiniz, Yine de bana dönmediniz.›› RAB böyle diyor.

4:9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have all of you not returned unto me, says the LORD.

4:9 ‹‹Samyeli ve küfle sizi cezalandirdim, Mahvettim baglarinizi, bahçelerinizi, Incir ve zeytin agaçlarinizi çekirge yedi, Yine de bana dönmediniz.›› RAB böyle diyor.

4:10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have all of you not returned unto me, says the LORD.

4:10 ‹‹Misirda oldugu gibi Araniza salgin hastalik gönderdim, Kiliçtan geçirdim yigitlerinizi, Atlarinizi düsmanlariniza verdim, Ordugahinizin pis kokusunu burunlariniza doldurdum; Yine de bana dönmediniz.›› RAB böyle diyor.

4:11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and all of you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have all of you not returned unto me, says the LORD.

4:12 Therefore thus will I do unto you, O Israel: and because I will do this unto you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.

4:12 ‹‹Bu yüzden sana sunu yapacagim, ey Israil. Yapacaklarim için Tanrini karsilamaya hazirlan, ey Israil!››

4:13 For, lo, he that forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares unto man what is his thought, that makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

4:13 Çünkü daglara biçim veren, Rüzgari yaratan, düsüncelerini insana bildiren, Safagi karanliga çeviren, Dünyanin yüksek yerlerine ayak basan iste O'dur, O'nun adi RAB, Her Seye Egemen Tanri'dir.

 Amos

5:1 Hear all of you this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.

5:1 Ey Israil halki, kulak ver, Üzerine yakacagim agitin sözlerine:

5:2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

5:2 ‹‹Düstü erden kiz Israil, Bir daha kalkamaz, Serilmis kendi topragina, Kaldiran yok.››

5:3 For thus says the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.

5:3 Bu yüzden Egemen RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Bin kisiyle savasa çikan kentin Yüz adami sag kalacak, Yüz kisiyle çikanin On adami kalacak Israil halkina.››

5:4 For thus says the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek all of you me, and all of you shall live:

5:4 Bu yüzden RAB Israil halkina söyle diyor: ‹‹Bana yönelin, yasarsiniz;

5:5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.

5:5 Beytele gitmeyin, Gilgala girmeyin, Beer-Sevaya geçmeyin, Çünkü Gilgal halki kesinlikle sürgün edilecek, Beytel bir hiçfç olacak.›› anlamina gelir. ‹‹Beytaven›› asagilamak amaciyla Beytel için kullanilirdi.

5:6 Seek the LORD, and all of you shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

5:6 RABbe yönelin, yasarsiniz, Yoksa Yusuf soyunda bir ates gibi parlar, Beyteli yakip yok eder. Yangini söndürecek kimse çikmaz.

5:7 All of you who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,

5:7 Ey adaleti aci pelinotuna çevirenler, Dogrulugu yere çalanlar!

5:8 Seek him that makes the seven stars and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night: that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

5:8 Ülker ve Oryon takimyildizlarini yaratan, Zifiri karanligi sabaha çeviren, Gündüzü geceyle karartan, Deniz sularini çagirip Yeryüzüne dökenin adi RABdir.

5:9 That strengthens the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

5:9 Kaleyi ansizin yikar, Surlu kenti yerle bir eder.

5:10 They hate him that rebukes in the gate, and they detest him that speaks uprightly.

5:10 Mahkemede kendilerini azarlayandan nefret ediyor, Dogru konusandan igreniyorlar.

5:11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and all of you take from him burdens of wheat: all of you have built houses of hewn stone, but all of you shall not dwell in them; all of you have planted pleasant vineyards, but all of you shall not drink wine of them.

5:11 Yoksulu ezdiginiz, Ondan zorla bugday kopardiginiz için Yaptiginiz yontma tas evlerde oturmayacak, Diktiginiz güzel baglarin sarabini içmeyeceksiniz.

5:12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

5:12 Çünkü isyanlarinizin çok, Günahlarinizin sayisiz oldugunu biliyorum, Ey dogru kisiye baski yapan, Rüsvet alan, Mahkemede mazlumun hakkini yiyenler!

5:13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

5:13 Bu yüzden susmak düser akilli insana Böyle bir zamanda, Çünkü zaman kötüdür.

5:14 Seek good, and not evil, that all of you may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as all of you have spoken.

5:14 Kötülüge degil, Iyilige yönelin ki yasayasiniz; Böylece dediginiz gibi, RAB, Her Seye Egemen Tanri sizinle olur.

5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

5:15 Kötülükten nefret edin, Iyiligi sevin, Mahkemede adaleti koruyun. Belki RAB, Her Seye Egemen Tanri, Yusufun soyundan sag kalanlara lütfeder.

5:16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD, says thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the farmer to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

5:16 Bu yüzden RAB, Her Seye Egemen Tanri Rab söyle diyor: ‹‹Bütün meydanlarda çiglik kopacak, Sokaklarda inim inim inleyecekler; Irgatlari yas tutmaya, Agitçilari feryat etmeye çagiracaklar.

5:17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through you, says the LORD.

5:17 Bütün baglarda çiglik kopacak, Çünkü ben aranizdan geçecegim.›› RAB böyle diyor.

5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

5:18 Vay basina, RABbin gününü özlemle bekleyenlerin! Niçin özlüyorsunuz RABbin gününü? O gün aydinlik degil, karanlik olacak.

5:19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

5:19 Nasil ki, biri aslanin önünden kaçar da karsisina ayi çikar, Evine döner, elini duvara dayar da elini yilan sokar.

5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

5:20 RABbin günü aydinlik degil, karanlik olmayacak mi? Hem de zifiri karanlik, Bir parilti bile yok.

5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

5:21 RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Igreniyor, tiksiniyorum bayramlarinizdan, Hoslanmiyorum dinsel toplantilarinizdan,

5:22 Though all of you offer me burnt offerings and your food offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

5:22 Yakmalik ve tahil sunularinizi Bana sunsaniz bile kabul etmeyecegim, Besili hayvanlarinizdan sunacaginiz Esenlik sunularina dönüp bakmayacagim.

5:23 Take you away from me the noise of your songs; for I will not hear the melody of your viols.

5:23 Uzak tutun benden ezgilerinizin gürültüsünü, Çenklerinizin sesini dinlemeyecegim.

5:24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

5:24 Bunun yerine adalet su gibi, Dogruluk irmak gibi sürekli aksin.

5:25 Have all of you offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

5:25 ‹‹Ey Israil halki, çölde kirk yil boyunca Bana mi kurbanlar, sunular sundunuz?

5:26 But all of you have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which all of you made to yourselves.

5:26 Gerçekte kraliniz Sakkutu, putunuz Kayvani, Kendiniz için yaptiginiz ilahin yildizini tasidiniz. ‹‹Gerçekte kralinizin çadirini, putlarinizin kaidesini››. Sakkut ve Kayvan Israilde tapilan ilahlardi. Asur ilahlari oldugu saniliyor.

5:27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, says the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

5:27 Bu yüzden sizi Sam'in ötesine sürecegim.›› RAB böyle diyor, O'nun adi Her Seye Egemen Tanri'dir.

 Amos

6:1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

6:1 Vay basina Siyondaki kaygisizlarin, Samiriye Daginda kendilerini güvende sananlarin, Israil halkinin basvurdugu Önder ulusun taninmis insanlarinin!

6:2 Pass all of you unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go all of you to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

6:2 Kalne Kentine gidin de görün, Oradan büyük Hamaya geçin, Filistlilerin Gat Kentine inin, Sizin bu kralliklarinizdan daha mi iyiler? Topraklari sizinkinden daha mi genis?

6:3 All of you that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

6:3 Ey sizler, kötü günü uzak sanan, Zorbalik tahtini yaklastiranlar.

6:4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

6:4 Ey sizler, fildisi süslü yataklara uzananlar, Sedirlere serilenler, Seçme kuzular, besili buzagilar yiyenler,

6:5 That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of music, like David;

6:5 Çenk esliginde türkü söyleyenler, Davut gibi beste yapanlar,

6:6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

6:6 Tas tas sarap içenler, Yaglarin en güzelini sürünenler, Yusufun yikimina kederlenmeyenler!

6:7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

6:7 Bu yüzden simdi bunlar Sürgüne gideceklerin basini çekecekler; Sona erecek sedire serilenlerin cümbüsü.

6:8 The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, says the LORD the God of hosts, I detest the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

6:8 Egemen RAB basi üzerine ant içti, Her Seye Egemen Tanri RAB söyle diyor: ‹‹Yakupun gururundan igreniyor, Saraylarindan tiksiniyorum. Bu yüzden içindeki her seyle kenti Düsmana teslim edecegim.››

6:9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

6:9 Eger bir evden on kisi kalmissa, Onlar da ölecek.

6:10 And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burns him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with you? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold your tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.

6:11 For, behold, the LORD commands, and he will strike the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

6:11 Çünkü RAB buyuruyor, Büyük ev toza, Küçük ev küle dönecek.

6:12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for all of you have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

6:12 Atlar kaya üzerinde kosar mi? Kimse denizde öküzle çift sürer mi? Ama siz adaleti zehire, Dogruluk meyvesini pelinotuna çevirdiniz.

6:13 All of you which rejoice in a thing of nothing, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

6:13 Sizler, Lo-Devar Kentini aldik diye sevinenler, ‹‹Karnayimi kendi bilegimizle ele geçirmedik mi?›› diyenlersiniz. simgesidir.

6:14 But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, says the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.

 Amos

7:1 Thus has the Lord GOD showed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

7:1 Egemen RAB bana sunu gösterdi: Kralin payina düsen otlar biçilmisti. Otlar yeniden yesermeye baslarken RAB sürüyle çekirge yaratiyordu.

7:2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I plead to you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

7:2 Çekirgeler ülkedeki yesil bitkileri yiyip bitirince: ‹‹Ey Egemen RAB, lütfen halkini bagisla!›› dedim, ‹‹Yakup soyu buna nasil dayanir? Zaten küçük bir halk!››

7:3 The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, says the LORD.

7:3 Bunun üzerine RAB düsüncesini degistirdi. ‹‹Gerçeklesmeyecek bu›› dedi.

7:4 Thus has the Lord GOD showed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

7:4 Egemen RAB bana sunu gösterdi: Baktim, Egemen RAB halkini cezalandirmak için atesi çagirdi. Ates enginleri yakip tüketti, karayi yakip tüketmeye basladi.

7:5 Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I plead to you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

7:5 O zaman, ‹‹Ey Egemen RAB, lütfen dur!›› dedim, ‹‹Yakup soyu buna nasil dayanir? Zaten küçük bir halk!››

7:6 The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, says the Lord GOD.

7:6 Bunun üzerine RAB düsüncesini degistirdi. Egemen RAB, ‹‹Bu da gerçeklesmeyecek›› dedi.

7:7 Thus he showed me: and, behold, the LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.

7:7 Baska bir görümde sunu gösterdi bana: Baktim, Rab çekül kullanilarak örülmüs dümdüz bir duvarin yaninda duruyor; elinde bir çekül var.

7:8 And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what see you? And I said, A plumb-line. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

7:8 RAB, ‹‹Ne görüyorsun, Amos?›› diye sordu. Ben de, ‹‹Bir çekül›› dedim. Bunun üzerine Rab, ‹‹Iste, halkim Israilin ortasina da bir çekül koyacagim›› dedi, ‹‹Bir daha onlari esirgemeyecegim.

7:9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

7:9 ‹‹Yok olacak Ishak soyunun tapinma yerleri, Yikilacak Israilin kutsal yerleri, Kiliçla yürüyecegim Yarovam soyunun üstüne.››

7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.

7:10 Beyteldeki Kâhin Amatsya, Israil Krali Yarovama haber gönderip söyle dedi: ‹‹Amos Israilin göbeginde sana düzen kurdu. Ülke onun bunca sözünü kaldiramaz.

7:11 For thus Amos says, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.

7:11 Çünkü Amos diyor ki, ‹‹ ‹Yarovam kiliçla öldürülecek, Israil halki kesinlikle ülkesinin disina, Sürgüne gönderilecek.› ››

7:12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O you seer, go, flee you away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:

7:12 Bunun üzerine Amatsya Amosa, ‹‹Çek git, ey bilici!›› dedi, ‹‹Yahudaya kaç. Ekmegini orada kazan. Orada peygamberlik et.

7:13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.

7:13 Bir daha Beytelde peygamberlik etme. Çünkü burasi kralin kutsal yeri, krallik tapinagidir.››

7:14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdsman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

7:14 Amos, ‹‹Ben ne peygamberdim ne de peygamber ogluydum›› diye karsilik verdi, ‹‹Yalnizca sigir yetistirirdim. Yabanil incir agaçlarina bakardim.

7:15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

7:15 RAB beni sürünün ardindan aldi, ‹Git, halkim Israile peygamberlik et› dedi.

7:16 Now therefore hear you the word of the LORD: You says, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not your word against the house of Isaac.

7:16 Simdi kulak ver RABbin sözlerine: ‹‹ ‹Israile karsi peygamberlik etme, Ishak soyuna karsi konusma!› diyorsun.

7:17 Therefore thus says the LORD; Your wife shall be an harlot in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you shall die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity out of his land.

7:17 Bu yüzden RAB söyle diyor: ‹Karin kentte fahise olacak, Ogullarin, kizlarin kiliçtan geçirilecek. Ölçü ipiyle paylasilacak topragin, Sen ise kirli sayilan toprakta can vereceksin. Israil halki kesinlikle ülke disina, Sürgüne gönderilecek.› ››

 Amos

8:1 Thus has the Lord GOD showed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.

8:1 Egemen RAB bana sunu gösterdi: Baktim bir sepet olgun meyve.

8:2 And he said, Amos, what see you? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end has come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

8:2 Bana, ‹‹Ne görüyorsun, Amos?›› diye sordu. ‹‹Bir sepet olgun meyve›› diye yanitladim. Bunun üzerine RAB, ‹‹Halkim Israilin sonu geldi›› dedi, ‹‹Bir daha onlari esirgemeyecegim.

8:3 And the songs of the temple shall be wailings in that day, says the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.

8:3 O gün saraydaki türküler yas çigliklarina dönecek.›› Egemen RAB, ‹‹Her yer atilmis cesetlerle dolacak, sessizlik hüküm sürecek›› diyor. çagristiriyor.

8:4 Hear this, O all of you that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,

8:4 Dinleyin bunu, ey yoksulu çigneyenler, Ülkedeki mazlumlari yok edenler!

8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

8:6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

8:6 Yoksullari gümüs, Mazlumlari bir çift çarik karsiliginda satin alsak. Bugday yerine süprüntüsünü satsak.››

8:7 The LORD has sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

8:7 Yakup soyunun gurur duydugu RAB kendi basi üstüne ant içti: ‹‹Onlarin yaptiklarinin hiçbirini asla unutmayacagim.

8:8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwells therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

8:8 Bu yüzden yer sarsilmayacak mi, Üzerinde yasayan herkes yas tutmayacak mi? Bütün yer Nil gibi yükselecek, Kabarip yine inecek Misirin irmagi gibi.››

8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

8:9 ‹‹O gün›› diyor Egemen RAB, ‹‹Ögleyin günesi batiracagim, Güpegündüz yeryüzünü karartacagim.

8:10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

8:10 Bayramlarinizi yasa, Bütün ezgilerinizi agita döndürecegim. Her bele çul kusattiracagim, Her basin saçini yoldurtacagim. O günü biricik ogulun ardindan tutulan yasa çevirecek, Sonunu aci getirecegim.

8:11 Behold, the days come, says the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

8:11 ‹‹Iste günler geliyor, Ülkeye kitlik gönderecegim›› Diyor Egemen RAB, ‹‹Ekmek ya da su kitligi degil, RABbin sözlerine susamislik gönderecegim.

8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run back and forth to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

8:12 RABbin sözünü bulmak için Insanlar denizden denize, Kuzeyden doguya dek dolasacak, Oraya buraya kosacak, ama bulamayacaklar.

8:13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

8:13 O gün güzel kizlar, Yigitler susuzluktan bayilacak.

8:14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Your god, O Dan, lives; and, The manner of Beersheba lives; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

8:14 Samiriye tanriçasi Asima üzerine ant içenler, ‹Ey Dan, senin ilahinin basi üzerine› Ve, ‹Beer-Seva ilahinin basi üzerine› diyenler Düsecek ve bir daha kalkmayacak.››

 Amos

9:1 I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Strike the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that flees of them shall not flee away, and he that escapes of them shall not be delivered.

9:1 Rabbi gördüm, Sunagin yaninda duruyordu. ‹‹Sütun basliklarina vur, Esikler sarsilsin›› dedi, ‹‹Basliklari insanlarin basinda parala. Sag kalanlari kiliçtan geçirecegim. Kaçan, kurtulan olmayacak,

9:2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

9:2 Ölüler diyarini delip girseler, Elimi uzatip onlari çikaracagim. Göklere çiksalar, Onlari oradan indirecegim.

9:3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

9:3 Karmel Daginin doruklarina gizlenseler, Artlarina düsüp onlari yakalayacagim. Gözümün önünden uzaga, denizin dibine girseler, Orada yilana buyruk verecegim, Onlari sokacak.

9:4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

9:4 Düsmanlarinca sürgün edilseler, Orada kilica buyruk verecegim, Onlari biçecek. Gözümü üzerlerinden ayirmayacagim, Ama iyilik için degil, kötülük için.››

9:5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that touches the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

9:5 Rab, Her Seye Egemen RAB Yere dokununca yer erir, Üzerinde yasayan herkes yasa bürünür, Bütün yeryüzü Nil gibi kabarir, Misirin irmagi gibi yine alçalir.

9:6 It is he that builds his stories in the heaven, and has founded his troop in the earth; he that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

9:6 Yukari odalarini gökyüzünde yapan, Kubbesini yeryüzünde kuran, Denizin sularini çagirip yeryüzüne döken Odur; Onun adi RABdir.

9:7 Are all of you not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? says the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

9:7 ‹‹Ey Israilliler, Benim için Kûslulardan ne farkiniz var?›› Diyor RAB. ‹‹Israillileri Misirdan, Filistlileri Kaftordan, Aramlilari Kîrden çikaran ben degil miyim?

9:8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the LORD.

9:8 ‹‹Iste, Egemen RABbin gözleri Bu günahli kralligin üzerindedir. Onu yeryüzünden söküp atacagim, Ancak Yakup soyunu büsbütün yok etmeyecegim›› Diyor RAB.

9:9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

9:9 ‹‹Iste buyruk verecegim, Bütün uluslar arasindan Israili kalburla eler gibi eleyecegim, Bir çakil bile yere düsmeyecek.

9:10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

9:10 Halkimin arasindaki bütün günahlilar, ‹Kötülük bizi bulmaz, bize erismez› diyenler Kiliçtan geçirilecek.››

9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

9:11 ‹‹O gün Davutun yikik çardagini yeniden kuracagim, Gediklerini kapayacak, Yikik yerlerini onaracagim, Onu eskisi gibi yapacagim,

9:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, says the LORD that does this.

9:12 Öyle ki, Edomlularin sag kalanlarini, Bana ait olan bütün uluslari sahiplensinler.›› Bunu yapacak olan RAB böyle diyor.

9:13 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

9:13 ‹‹Iste, günler geliyor›› diyor RAB, ‹‹Çift süren orakçiya, Üzüm basan ekin ekene erisecek, Daglardan tatli sarap damlayacak, Bütün tepelerden akacak.

9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

9:14 Sürgün halkim Israili geri getirecegim, Yikik kentleri onarip orada yasayacaklar, Baglar dikip sarabini içecekler, Bahçeler yapip meyvesini yiyecekler.

9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the LORD your God.

9:15 Onlari topraklarina dikecegim, Bir daha sökülmeyecekler Kendilerine verdigim topraktan.›› Tanriniz RAB böyle diyor.
