Exodus

15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spoke, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.

15:2 Rab gücüm ve ezgimdir, O kurtardi beni. Odur Tanrim, Övgüler sunacagim Ona. Odur babamin Tanrisi, Yüceltecegim Onu.

15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

15:3 Savas eridir RAB, Adi RABdir.

15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

15:4 ‹‹Denize atti firavunun ordusunu, Savas arabalarini. Kizildenizde boguldu seçme subaylari.

15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host has he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

15:5 Derin sulara gömüldüler, Tas gibi dibe indiler.

15:5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

15:6 ‹‹Senin sag elin, ya RAB, Senin sag elin korkunç güce sahiptir. Altinda düsmanlar kirilir.

15:6 Your right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: your right hand, O LORD, has dashed in pieces the enemy.

15:7 Devrilir sana baskaldiranlar büyük görkemin karsisinda, Gönderir gazabini aniz gibi tüketirsin onlari.

15:7 And in the greatness of yours excellency you have overthrown them that rose up against you: you sent forth your wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

15:8 Burnunun solugu karsisinda, Sular yigildi bir araya. Kabaran sular duvarlara dönüstü, Denizin göbegindeki derin sular dondu.

15:8 And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

15:9 Düsman böbürlendi: ‹Peslerine düsüp yakalayacagim onlari› dedi, ‹Bölüsecegim çapulu, Dilegimce yagmalayacagim, Kilicimi çekip yok edecegim onlari.›

15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

15:10 Üfledin solugunu, denize gömüldüler, Kursun gibi engin sulara battilar.

15:10 You did blow with your wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

15:11 Who is like unto you, O LORD, among the gods? who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

15:12 Sag elini uzattin, Yer yuttu onlari.

15:12 You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them.

15:13 Öncülük edeceksin sevginle kurtardigin halka, Kutsal konutunun yolunu göstereceksin gücünle onlara.

15:13 You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength unto your holy habitation.

15:14 Uluslar duyup titreyecekler, Filist halkini dehset saracak.

15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.

15:15 Edom beyleri korkuya kapilacak, Moav önderlerini titreme alacak, Kenanda yasayanlarin tümü korkudan eriyecek.

15:15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

15:16 Korku ve dehset düsecek üzerlerine, Senin halkin geçinceye dek, ya RAB, Sahip oldugun bu halk geçinceye dek, Bileginin gücü karsisinda tas kesilecekler.

15:16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of yours arm they shall be as still as a stone; till your people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which you have purchased.

15:17 You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of yours inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which you have made for you to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which your hands have established.

15:18 RAB sonsuza dek egemen olacak.››

15:18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.

15:19 Firavunun atlari, savas arabalari, atlilari denize dalinca, RAB sulari onlarin üzerine çevirdi. Ama Israilliler denizi kuru toprakta yürüyerek geçtiler.

15:19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

15:20 Harunun kizkardesi Peygamber Miryam tefini eline aldi, bütün kadinlar teflerle, oynayarak onu izlediler.

15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

15:21 Miryam onlara su ezgiyi söyledi: ‹‹Ezgiler sunun RABbe, Çünkü yüceldikçe yüceldi, Atlari, atlilari denize döktü.››

15:21 And Miriam answered them, Sing all of you to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.

15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

15:23 Maraya vardilar. Ama Maranin suyunu içemediler, çünkü su aciydi. Bu yüzden oraya Marafi adi verildi.

15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

15:24 Halk, ‹‹Ne içecegiz?›› diye Musaya yakinmaya basladi.

15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

15:25 Musa RABbe yakardi. RAB ona bir agaç parçasi gösterdi. Musa onu suya atinca sular tatli oldu.

15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

15:26 ‹‹Ben, Tanriniz RABbin sözünü dikkatle dinler, gözümde dogru olani yapar, buyruklarima kulak verir, bütün kurallarima uyarsaniz, Misirlilara verdigim hastaliklarin hiçbirini size vermeyecegim›› dedi, ‹‹Çünkü size sifa veren RAB benim.››

15:26 And said, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you.

15:27 Sonra Elim'e gittiler. Orada on iki su kaynagi, yetmis hurma agaci vardi. Su kiyisinda konakladilar.

15:27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

 Exodus

16:1 Bütün Israil toplulugu Elimden ayrildi. Misirdan çiktiktan sonra ikinci ayin on besinci günü Elim ile Sina arasindaki Sin Çölüne vardilar.

16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

16:2 Çölde hepsi Musayla Haruna yakinmaya basladi.

16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

16:3 ‹‹Keske RAB bizi Misirdayken öldürseydi›› dediler, ‹‹Hiç degilse orada et kazanlarinin basina oturur, doyasiya yerdik.

16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for all of you have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

16:4 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Size gökten ekmek yagdiracagim›› dedi, ‹‹Halk her gün gidip günlük ekmegini toplayacak.

16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

16:5 Altinci gün her gün topladiklarinin iki katini toplayip hazirlayacaklar.››

16:5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

16:6 Musayla Harun Israillilere, ‹‹Bu aksam sizi Misirdan RABbin çikardigini bileceksiniz›› dediler,

16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then all of you shall know that the LORD has brought you out from the land of Egypt:

16:7 ‹‹Sabah da RABbin görkemini göreceksiniz. Çünkü RAB kendisine söylendiginizi duydu. Biz kimiz ki, bize söyleniyorsunuz?››

16:7 And in the morning, then all of you shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he hears your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that all of you murmur against us?

16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD hears your murmurings which all of you murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.

16:9 Musa Haruna, ‹‹Bütün Israil topluluguna söyle, RABbin huzuruna gelsinler›› dedi, ‹‹Çünkü RAB söylendiklerini duydu.››

16:9 And Moses spoke unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he has heard your murmurings.

16:10 Harun Israil topluluguna bunlari anlatirken, çöle dogru baktilar. RABbin görkemi bulutta görünüyordu.

16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.

16:11 RAB Musaya söyle dedi:

16:11 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

16:12 ‹‹Israillilerin yakinmalarini duydum.

16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even all of you shall eat flesh, and in the morning all of you shall be filled with bread; and all of you shall know that I am the LORD your God.

16:13 Aksam bildircinlar geldi, ordugahi sardi. Sabah ordugahin çevresini çiy kaplamisti.

16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

16:14 Çiy eriyince, toprakta, çölün yüzeyinde kiragiya benzer ince pulcuklar göründü.

16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they know not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.

16:16 This is the thing which the LORD has commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take all of you every man for them which are in his tents.

16:17 Israilliler söyleneni yaptilar. Kimi çok, kimi az topladi.

16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

16:18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

16:19 Musa onlara, ‹‹Kimse sabaha bir parça bile birakmasin›› dedi.

16:19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

16:20 Ama bazilari ona aldirmayip sabaha biraktilar. Biraktiklari kurtlanip kokmaya baslayinca Musa onlara öfkelendi.

16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was angry with them.

16:21 Her sabah herkes yiyecegi kadar topluyordu. Günes ortaligi isitinca, yerde kalanlar eriyordu.

16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

16:22 Altinci gün kisi basina iki omer, yani iki kat topladilar. Toplulugun önderleri gelip durumu Musaya bildirdiler.

16:22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

16:23 Musa, ‹‹RABbin buyrugu sudur›› dedi, ‹‹ ‹Yarin dinlenme günü, RAB için kutsal Sabat Günüdür. Pisireceginizi pisirin, haslayacaginizi haslayin. Artakalani bir kenara koyun, sabaha kalsin.› ››

16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which all of you will bake to day, and seethe that all of you will seethe; and that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

16:24 Musanin buyurdugu gibi artakalani sabaha biraktilar. Ne koktu, ne kurtlandi.

16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

16:25 Musa, ‹‹Artakalani bugün yiyin›› dedi, ‹‹Çünkü bugün RAB için Sabat Günüdür. Bugün disarda ekmek bulamayacaksiniz.

16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; in order to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day all of you shall not find it in the field.

16:26 Six days all of you shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

16:27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day in order to gather, and they found none.

16:28 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Ne zamana dek buyruklarima ve yasalarima uymayi reddedeceksiniz?›› dedi,

16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse all of you to keep my commandments and my laws?

16:29 ‹‹Size Sabat Gününü verdim. Bunun için altinci gün size iki günlük ekmek veriyorum. Yedinci gün herkes neredeyse orada kalsin, disari çikmasin.››

16:29 See, for that the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide all of you every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

16:30 Böylece halk yedinci gün dinlendi.

16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

16:31 Israilliler o ekmege man adini verdiler. Kisnis tohumu gibi beyazimsi, tadi balli yufka gibiydi.

16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

16:32 Musa, ‹‹RABbin buyrugu sudur›› dedi, ‹‹ ‹Misirdan sizi çikardigimda, gelecek kusaklarin çölde size yedirdigim ekmegi görmesi için, bir omer saklansin.› ››

16:32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commands, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

16:34 As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

16:35 Israilliler yerlestikleri Kenan topraklarina varincaya dek kirk yil man yediler.

16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

16:36 -Bir omer efanin onda biridir.-

16:36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

 Exodus

17:1 RABbin buyrugu uyarinca, bütün Israil toplulugu Sin Çölünden ayrildi, bir yerden öbürüne göçerek Refidimde konakladi. Ancak orada içecek su yoktu.

17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

17:2 Musaya, ‹‹Bize içecek su ver›› diye çikistilar. Musa, ‹‹Niçin bana çikisiyorsunuz?›› dedi, ‹‹Neden RABbi deniyorsunuz?››

17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide all of you with me? wherefore do all of you tempt the LORD?

17:3 Ama halk susamisti. ‹‹Niçin bizi Misirdan çikardin?›› diye Musaya söylendiler, ‹‹Bizi, çocuklarimizi, hayvanlarimizi susuzluktan öldürmek için mi?››

17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

17:4 Musa, ‹‹Bu halka ne yapayim?›› diye RABbe feryat etti, ‹‹Neredeyse beni taslayacaklar.››

17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

17:5 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Halkin önüne ge盛 dedi, ‹‹Birkaç Israil ileri gelenini ve Nile vurdugun degnegi de yanina alip yürü.

17:5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, wherewith you smote the river, take in yours hand, and go.

17:6 Ben Horev Daginda bir kayanin üzerinde, senin önünde duracagim. Kayaya vuracaksin, halk içsin diye su fiskiracak.›› Musa Israil ileri gelenlerinin önünde denileni yapti.

17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

17:8 Amalekliler gelip Refidimde Israillilere savas açtilar.

17:8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

17:9 Musa Yesuya, ‹‹Adam seç, git Amaleklilerle savas›› dedi, ‹‹Yarin ben elimde Tanrinin degnegiyle tepenin üzerinde duracagim.››

17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

17:11 Musa elini kaldirdikça Israilliler, indirdikçe Amalekliler kazaniyordu.

17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

17:12 Ne var ki, Musanin elleri yoruldu. Bir tas getirip altina koydular. Musa üzerine oturdu. Bir yanda Harun, öbür yanda Hur Musanin ellerini yukarida tuttular. Günes batincaya dek Musanin elleri yukarida kaldi.

17:12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

17:13 Böylece Yesu Amalek ordusunu yenip kiliçtan geçirdi.

17:13 And Joshua humiliated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

17:14 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Bunu ani olarak kayda ge盛 dedi, ‹‹Yesuya da söyle, Amaleklilerin adini yeryüzünden büsbütün silecegim.››

17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

17:15 Musa bir sunak yapti, adini ‹‹Yahve nissi›› koydu.

17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

17:16 ‹‹Eller Rab'bin tahtina dogru kaldirildi›› dedi, ‹‹RAB kusaklar boyunca Amalekliler'e karsi savasacak!››

17:16 For he said, Because the LORD has sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

 Exodus

18:1 Musanin kayinbabasi Midyanli Kâhin Yitro, Tanrinin Musa ve halki Israil için yaptigi her seyi, RABbin Israillileri Misirdan nasil çikardigini duydu.

18:1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

18:2 Musanin kendisine göndermis oldugu karisi Sipporayi ve iki oglunu yanina aldi. Musa, ‹‹Garibim bu yabanci diyarda›› diyerek ogullarindan birine Gersomfö adini vermisti.

18:2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

18:3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an foreigner in a strange land:

18:4 Sonra, ‹‹Babamin Tanrisi bana yardim etti, beni firavunun kilicindan esirgedi›› diyerek öbürüne de Eliezer adini koymustu.

18:4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

18:5 Yitro Musanin karisi ve ogullariyla birlikte Tanri Dagina, Musanin konakladigi çöle geldi.

18:5 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:

18:6 Musaya su haberi gönderdi: ‹‹Ben, kayinbaban Yitro, karin ve iki oglunla birlikte sana geliyoruz.››

18:6 And he said unto Moses, I your father in law Jethro am come unto you, and your wife, and her two sons with her.

18:7 Musa kayinbabasini karsilamaya çikti, önünde egilip onu öptü. Birbirinin hatirini sorup çadira girdiler.

18:7 And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did reverence, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

18:8 Musa Israilliler ugruna RABbin firavunla Misirlilara bütün yaptiklarini, yolda çektikleri sikintilari, RABbin kendilerini nasil kurtardigini kayinbabasina bir bir anlatti.

18:8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.

18:9 Yitro RABbin Israillilere yaptigi iyiliklere, onlari Misirlilarin elinden kurtardigina sevindi.

18:9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.

18:10 ‹‹Sizi Misirlilarin ve firavunun elinden kurtaran RABbe övgüler olsun›› dedi, ‹‹Halki Misirin boyundurugundan O kurtardi.

18:10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

18:11 Artik biliyorum ki, RAB bütün ilahlardan büyüktür. Çünkü onlarin gurur duydugu seylerin üstesinden geldi.››

18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

18:12 Sonra Tanriya yakmalik sunu ve kurbanlar getirdi. Harunla bütün Israil ileri gelenleri, Musanin kayinbabasiyla Tanrinin huzurunda yemek yemeye geldiler.

18:12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

18:13 Ertesi gün Musa halkin davalarina bakmak için yargi kürsüsüne çikti. Halk sabahtan aksama kadar çevresinde ayakta durdu.

18:13 And it came to pass on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

18:14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that you do to the people? why sit you yourself alone, and all the people stand by you from morning unto even?

18:15 Musa, ‹‹Çünkü halk Tanrinin istemini bilmek için bana geliyor›› diye yanitladi,

18:15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:

18:16 ‹‹Ne zaman bir sorunlari olsa, bana gelirler. Ben de taraflar arasinda karar veririm; Tanrinin kurallarini, yasalarini onlara bildiririm.››

18:16 When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

18:17 Kayinbabasi, ‹‹Yaptigin is iyi degil›› dedi,

18:17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that you do is not good.

18:18 ‹‹Hem sen, hem de yanindaki halk tükeneceksiniz. Bu isi tek basina kaldiramazsin. Sana agir gelir.

18:18 You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself alone.

18:19 Beni dinle, sana ögüt vereyim. Tanri seninle olsun. Tanrinin önünde halki sen temsil etmeli, sorunlarini Tanriya sen iletmelisin.

18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Be you for the people toward God, that you may bring the causes unto God:

18:20 Kurallari, yasalari halka ögret, izlemeleri gereken yolu, yapacaklari isi göster.

18:20 And you shall teach them ordinances and laws, and shall show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

18:21 Bunun yanisira halkin arasindan Tanridan korkan, yetenekli, haksiz kazançtan nefret eden dürüst adamlar seç; onlari biner, yüzer, elliser, onar kisilik topluluklarin basina önder ata.

18:21 Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

18:22 Halka sürekli onlar yargiçlik etsin. Büyük davalari sana getirsinler, küçük davalari kendileri çözsünler. Böylece isini paylasmis olurlar. Yükün hafifler.

18:22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

18:23 Eger böyle yaparsan, Tanri da buyurursa, dayanabilirsin. Herkes esenlik içinde evine döner.››

18:23 If you shall do this thing, and God command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

18:24 Musa kayinbabasinin sözünü dinledi. Söyledigi her seyi yerine getirdi.

18:24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

18:25 Israilliler arasindan yetenekli adamlar seçti. Onlari biner, yüzer, elliser, onar kisilik topluluklarin basina önder atadi.

18:25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

18:26 Halka sürekli yargiçlik eden bu kisiler zor davalari Musaya getirdiler, küçük davalari ise kendileri çözdüler.

18:26 And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

18:27 Sonra Musa kayinbabasini ugurladi. Yitro da ülkesine döndü.

18:27 And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

 Exodus

19:1 Israilliler Misirdan çiktiktan tam üç ay sonra Sina Çölüne vardilar.

19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

19:2 Refidimden yola çikip Sina Çölüne girdiler. Orada, Sina Daginin karsisinda konakladilar.

19:2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

19:3 Musa Tanrinin huzuruna çikti. RAB dagdan kendisine seslendi: ‹‹Yakup soyuna, Israil halkina söyle diyeceksin:

19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

19:4 Misirlilara ne yaptigimi, sizi nasil kartal kanatlari üzerinde tasiyarak yanima getirdigimi gördünüz.

19:4 All of you have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

19:5 Simdi sözümü dikkatle dinler, antlasmama uyarsaniz, bütün uluslar içinde öz halkim olursunuz. Çünkü yeryüzünün tümü benimdir.

19:5 Now therefore, if all of you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then all of you shall be an exclusive treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

19:6 Siz benim için kâhinler kralligi, kutsal ulus olacaksiniz. Israillilere böyle söyleyeceksin.›› Tanriya kurban sunmak gibi dinsel islerle ugrasan görevli. Kâhinin büyücülük, falcilik, sihirbazlik, gaipten haber vermek gibi islerle ugrasmasi söz konusu degildi. Bu uygulamalar Yas.18:9-14 ayetlerinde yasaklanmistir.

19:6 And all of you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.

19:7 Musa gidip halkin ileri gelenlerini çagirdi ve RABbin kendisine buyurdugu her seyi onlara anlatti.

19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

19:8 Bütün halk bir agizdan, ‹‹RABbin söyledigi her seyi yapacagiz›› diye yanitladilar. Musa halkin yanitini RABbe iletti.

19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD has spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:9 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Sana koyu bir bulut içinde gelecegim›› dedi, ‹‹Öyle ki, seninle konusurken halk isitsin ve her zaman sana güvensin.›› Musa halkin söylediklerini RABbe iletti.

19:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:10 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Git, bugün ve yarin halki arindir›› dedi, ‹‹Giysilerini yikasinlar.

19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,

19:11 Üçüncü güne hazir olsunlar. Çünkü üçüncü gün bütün halkin gözü önünde ben, RAB Sina Dagina inecegim.

19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

19:12 And you shall set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that all of you go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever touches the mount shall be surely put to death:

19:13 Ya taslanacak, ya da okla vurulacak; ona insan eli degmeyecek. Ister hayvan olsun ister insan, yasamasina izin verilmeyecek.› Ancak boru uzun uzun çalininca daga çikabilirler.››

19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.

19:14 Sonra Musa dagdan halkin yanina inip onlari arindirdi. Herkes giysilerini yikadi.

19:14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

19:15 Musa halka, ‹‹Üçüncü güne hazir olun›› dedi, ‹‹Bu süre içinde cinsel iliskide bulunmayin.››

19:15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

19:16 Üçüncü günün sabahi gök gürledi, simsekler çakti. Dagin üzerinde koyu bir bulut vardi. Derken, çok güçlü bir boru sesi duyuldu. Ordugahta herkes titremeye basladi.

19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

19:17 Musa halkin Tanriyla görüsmek üzere ordugahtan çikmasina öncülük etti. Dagin eteginde durdular.

19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

19:18 Sina Daginin her yanindan duman tütüyordu. Çünkü RAB dagin üstüne ates içinde inmisti. Dagdan ocak dumani gibi duman çikiyor, bütün dag siddetle sarsiliyordu.

19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether smoking, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

19:19 Boru sesi gitgide yükselince, Musa konustu ve Tanri gök gürlemeleriyle onu yanitladi.

19:19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

19:20 RAB Sina Daginin üzerine indi, Musayi dagin tepesine çagirdi. Musa tepeye çikti.

19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

19:21 RAB, ‹‹Asagi inip halki uyar›› dedi, ‹‹Sakin beni görmek için siniri geçmesinler, yoksa birçogu ölür.

19:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

19:22 Bana yaklasan kâhinler de kendilerini kutsasinlar, yoksa onlari siddetle cezalandiririm.››

19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

19:23 Musa, ‹‹Halk Sina Dagina çikamaz›› diye karsilik verdi, ‹‹Çünkü sen, ‹Dagin çevresine sinir çiz, onu kutsal kil› diyerek bizi uyardin.››

19:23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for you charged us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

19:24 RAB, ‹‹Asagi inip Harunu getir›› dedi, ‹‹Ama kâhinlerle halk huzuruma gelmek için siniri geçmesinler. Yoksa onlari siddetle cezalandiririm.››

19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get you down, and you shall come up, you, and Aaron with you: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

19:25 Bunun üzerine Musa asagi inip durumu halka anlatti.

19:25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spoke unto them.

 Exodus

20:1 Tanri söyle konustu:

20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying,

20:2 ‹‹Seni Misirdan, köle oldugun ülkeden çikaran Tanrin RAB benim.

20:2 I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

20:3 ‹‹Benden baska tanrin olmayacak.

20:3 You shall have no other gods before me.

20:4 You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

20:5 Putlarin önünde egilmeyecek, onlara tapmayacaksin. Çünkü ben, Tanrin RAB, kiskanç bir Tanriyim. Benden nefret edenin babasinin isledigi suçun hesabini çocuklarindan, üçüncü, dördüncü kusaklardan sorarim.

20:5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

20:6 Ama beni seven, buyruklarima uyan binlerce kusaga sevgi gösteririm.

20:6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

20:7 ‹‹Tanrin RABbin adini bos yere agzina almayacaksin. Çünkü RAB, adini bos yere agzina alanlari cezasiz birakmayacaktir.

20:7 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

20:8 ‹‹Sabat Gününü kutsal sayarak animsa.

20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

20:9 Alti gün çalisacak, bütün islerini yapacaksin.

20:9 Six days shall you labour, and do all your work:

20:10 Ama yedinci gün bana, Tanrin RABbe Sabat Günü olarak adanmistir. O gün sen, oglun, kizin, erkek ve kadin kölen, hayvanlarin, aranizdaki yabancilar dahil, hiçbir is yapmayacaksiniz.

20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:

20:11 Çünkü ben, RAB yeri gögü, denizi ve bütün canlilari alti günde yarattim, yedinci gün dinlendim. Bu yüzden Sabat Gününü kutsadim ve kutsal bir gün olarak belirledim.

20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

20:12 ‹‹Annene babana saygi göster. Öyle ki, Tanrin RABbin sana verecegi ülkede ömrün uzun olsun.

20:12 Honour your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.

20:13 ‹‹Adam öldürmeyeceksin.

20:13 You shall not kill.

20:14 ‹‹Zina etmeyeceksin.

20:14 You shall not commit adultery.

20:15 ‹‹Çalmayacaksin.

20:15 You shall not steal.

20:16 ‹‹Komsuna karsi yalan yere taniklik etmeyeceksin.

20:16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

20:17 ‹‹Komsunun evine, karisina, erkek ve kadin kölesine, öküzüne, esegine, hiçbir seyine göz dikmeyeceksin.››

20:17 You shall not covet your neighbour's house, you shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbour's.

20:18 Halk gök gürlemelerini, boru sesini duyup simsekleri ve dagin basindaki dumani görünce korkudan titremeye basladi. Uzakta durarak

20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood far off.

20:19 Musaya, ‹‹Bizimle sen konus, dinleyelim›› dediler, ‹‹Ama Tanri konusmasin, yoksa ölürüz.››

20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak you with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20:20 Musa, ‹‹Korkmayin!›› diye karsilik verdi, ‹‹Tanri sizi denemek için geldi; Tanri korkusu üzerinizde olsun, günah islemeyesiniz diye.››

20:20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God has come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that all of you sin not.

20:21 Musa Tanrinin içinde bulundugu koyu karanliga yaklasirken halk uzakta durdu.

20:21 And the people stood far off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus you shall say unto the children of Israel, All of you have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

20:23 All of you shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall all of you make unto you gods of gold.

20:24 Benim için toprak bir sunak yapacaksiniz. Yakmalik ve esenlik sunularinizi, davarlarinizi, sigirlarinizi onun üzerinde sunacaksiniz. Adimi animsattigim her yere gelip sizi kutsayacagim.

20:24 An altar of earth you shall make unto me, and shall sacrifice thereon your burnt offerings, and your peace offerings, your sheep, and yours oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto you, and I will bless you.

20:25 Eger bana tas sunak yaparsaniz, yontma tas kullanmayin. Çünkü kullanacaginiz alet sunagin kutsalligini bozar.

20:25 And if you will make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone: for if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.

20:26 Sunagimin üzerine basamakla çikmayacaksiniz. Çünkü çiplak yeriniz görünebilir.› ››

20:26 Neither shall you go up by steps unto mine altar, that your nakedness be not discovered thereon.

 Exodus

21:1 ‹‹Israillilere su ilkeleri bildir:

21:1 Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them.

21:2 ‹‹Ibrani bir köle satin alirsan, alti yil kölelik edecek, ama yedinci yil karsilik ödemeden özgür olacak.

21:2 If you buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

21:3 Bekâr geldiyse, yalniz kendisi özgür olacak; evli geldiyse, karisi da özgür olacak.

21:3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

21:4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.

21:5 ‹‹Ama köle açikça, ‹Ben efendimi, karimla çocuklarimi seviyorum, özgür olmak istemiyorum› derse,

21:5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:

21:6 efendisi onu yargiç huzurunafs çikaracak. Kapiya ya da kapi sövesine yaklastirip kulagini bizle delecek. Böylece köle yasam boyu efendisine hizmet edecek. tapinma yeri anlamina gelebilir.

21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.

21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the male servants do.

21:8 Efendisi kizla nisanlanir, sonra kizdan hoslanmazsa, kizin geri alinmasina izin vermelidir. Kizi aldattigi için onu yabancilara satamaz.

21:8 If she please not her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her.

21:9 Eger cariyeyi ogluna nisanlarsa, ona kendi kizi gibi davranmalidir.

21:9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

21:10 Eger ikinci bir kadinla evlenirse, ilk karisini nafakadan, giysiden, karilik haklarindan yoksun birakmamalidir.

21:10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

21:11 Eger bu üç hakki ona vermezse, kadin karsiliksiz özgür olacaktir.››

21:11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.

21:12 ‹‹Kim birini vurup öldürürse, kendisi de kesinlikle öldürülecektir.

21:12 He that strikes a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.

21:13 Ama olayda kasit yoksa, ona ben izin vermissem, size adamin kaçacagi yeri bildirecegim.

21:13 And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee.

21:14 Eger bir adam komsusuna düzen kurar, kasitli olarak saldirip onu öldürürse, sunagima bile kaçmis olsa, onu çikarip öldüreceksiniz.

21:14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; you shall take him from mine altar, that he may die.

21:15 And he that strikes his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

21:16 ‹‹Kim adam kaçirirsa, onu ister satmis olsun, ister elinde tutsun, kesinlikle öldürülecektir.

21:16 And he that steals a man, and sells him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

21:17 And he that curses his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

21:18 And if men strive together, and one strike another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keeps his bed:

21:19 sonra kalkip degnekle disarida gezebilirse, vuran adam suçsuz sayilacaktir. Yalniz yaralinin kaybettigi zamanin karsiligini ödeyecek ve tümüyle iyilesmesini saglayacaktir.

21:19 If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that stroke him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

21:20 And if a man strike his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

21:21 Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.

21:22 ‹‹Iki kisi kavga ederken gebe bir kadina çarpar, kadin erken dogum yapar ama baska bir zarar görmezse, saldirgan, kadinin kocasinin istedigi ve yargiçlarin onayladigi miktarda para cezasina çarptirilacaktir.

21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

21:23 Ama baska bir zarar varsa, cana karsilik can, göze karsilik göz, dise karsilik dis, ele karsilik el, ayaga karsilik ayak, yaniga karsilik yanik, yaraya karsilik yara, bereye karsilik bere ödenecektir.

21:23 And if any mischief follow, then you shall give life for life,

21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

21:25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

21:26 And if a man strike the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.

21:27 And if he strike out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.

21:28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

21:29 But if the ox were known to push with his horn in time past, and it has been testified to his owner, and he has not kept him in, but that he has killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.

21:30 Ancak, boganin sahibinden para cezasi istenirse, istenen miktari ödeyerek canini kurtarabilir.

21:30 If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.

21:31 Boga ister erkek, ister kiz çocugunu öldürsün, ayni kural uygulanacaktir.

21:31 Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.

21:32 If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

21:33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;

21:34 çukuru kazan hayvanin bedelini ödeyecektir. Parayi hayvanin sahibine verecek, ölü hayvan kendisinin olacaktir.

21:34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

21:35 ‹‹Bir adamin bogasi komsusunun bogasini yaralar, yarali boga ölürse, sag bogayi satip parasini paylasacak, ölü hayvani da bölüseceklerdir.

21:35 And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

21:36 Eger boganin saldirgan oldugu ve sahibinin ona sahip çikmadigi biliniyorsa, bogaya karsilik boga verecek ve ölü hayvan kendisine kalacaktir.››

21:36 Or if it be known that the ox has used to push in time past, and his owner has not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

 Exodus

22:1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

22:2 ‹‹Bir hirsiz bir eve girerken yakalanip öldürülürse, öldüren kisi suçlu sayilmaz.

22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

22:3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

22:4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

22:5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

22:6 ‹‹Birinin yaktigi ates dikenlere siçrar, ekin demetleri, tarladaki ekin ya da tarla yanarsa, yangin çikaran kisi zarari ödeyecektir.

22:6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

22:7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.

22:8 Ama hirsiz yakalanmazsa, komsusunun esyasina el uzatip uzatmadiginin anlasilmasi için ev sahibi yargiç huzuruna çikmalidir.

22:8 If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.

22:9 Emanete ihanet edilen konularda, öküz, esek, koyun, giysi, herhangi bir kayip esya için ‹Bu benimdir› diyen her iki taraf sorunu yargicin huzuruna getirmelidir. Yargicin suçlu buldugu kisi komsusuna iki kat ödeyecektir.

22:9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing which another challenges to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.

22:10 If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

22:11 komsusu adamin malina el uzatmadigina iliskin RABbin huzurunda ant içmelidir.

22:11 Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.

22:12 Ama mal gerçekten ondan çalinmissa, karsiligi sahibine ödenmelidir.

22:12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

22:13 Emanet hayvan parçalanmissa, adam parçalarini kanit olarak göstermelidir. Parçalanan hayvan için bir sey ödemeyecektir.

22:13 If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

22:14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.

22:15 Ama sahibi hayvanla birlikteyse, ödünç alan karsiligini ödemeyecektir. Hayvan kiralanmissa, kayip ödenen kiraya sayilmalidir.››

22:15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

22:16 ‹‹Eger biri nisanli olmayan bir kizi aldatip onunla yatarsa, baslik parasini ödemeli ve onunla evlenmelidir.

22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely secure her to be his wife.

22:17 Babasi kizini ona vermeyi reddederse, adam normal baslik parasi neyse onu ödemelidir.

22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

22:18 ‹‹Büyücü kadini yasatmayacaksiniz.

22:18 You shall not suffer a witch to live.

22:19 ‹‹Hayvanlarla cinsel iliski kuran herkes öldürülecektir.

22:19 Whosoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.

22:20 ‹‹RABden baska bir ilaha kurban kesen ölüm cezasina çarptirilacaktir.

22:20 He that sacrifices unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

22:21 ‹‹Yabanciya haksizlik ve baski yapmayacaksiniz. Çünkü siz de Misirda yabanciydiniz.

22:21 You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for all of you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

22:22 ‹‹Dul ve öksüz hakki yemeyeceksiniz.

22:22 All of you shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

22:23 Yerseniz, bana feryat ettiklerinde onlari kesinlikle isitirim.

22:23 If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

22:24 Öfkem alevlenir, sizi kiliçtan geçirtirim. Kadinlariniz dul, çocuklariniz öksüz kalir.

22:24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

22:25 If you lend money to any of my people that is poor by you, you shall not be to him as an usurer, neither shall you lay upon him interest.

22:26 Komsunuzun abasini rehin alirsaniz, gün batmadan geri vereceksiniz.

22:26 If you at all take your neighbour's raiment to pledge, you shall deliver it unto him by that the sun goes down:

22:27 Çünkü tek örtüsü abasidir, ancak onunla örtünebilir. Onsuz nasil yatar? Bana feryat ederse isitecegim, çünkü ben iyilikseverim.

22:27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he cries unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

22:28 ‹‹Tanriya sövmeyeceksiniz. Halkinizin önderine lanet etmeyeceksiniz.

22:28 You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.

22:29 ‹‹Ürününüzü ve siranizi sunmakta gecikmeyeceksiniz. Ilk dogan ogullarinizi bana vereceksiniz.

22:29 You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe fruits, and of your liquors: the firstborn of your sons shall you give unto me.

22:30 Öküzlerinize, davarlariniza da ayni seyi yapacaksiniz. Yedi gün analariyla kalacaklar, sekizinci gün onlari bana vereceksiniz.

22:30 Likewise shall you do with yours oxen, and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day you shall give it me.

22:31 ‹‹Benim kutsal halkim olacaksiniz. Bunun içindir ki, kirda parçalanmis hayvanlarin etini yemeyecek, köpeklerin önüne atacaksiniz.››

22:31 And all of you shall be holy men unto me: neither shall all of you eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; all of you shall cast it to the dogs.

 Exodus

23:1 ‹‹Yalan haber tasimayacaksiniz. Haksiz yere taniklik ederek kötü kisiye yan çikmayacaksiniz.

23:1 You shall not raise a false report: put not yours hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

23:2 ‹‹Kötülük yapan kalabaligi izlemeyeceksiniz. Bir davada çogunluktan yana konusarak adaleti saptirmayacaksiniz.

23:2 You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you speak in a cause to decline after many to shift judgment:

23:3 Durusmada yoksulu kayirmayacaksiniz.

23:3 Neither shall you countenance a poor man in his cause.

23:4 If you meet yours enemy's ox or his ass going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.

23:5 Sizden nefret eden kisinin esegini yük altinda çökmüs görürseniz, kendi haline birakip gitmeyecek, ona yardimci olacaksiniz.

23:5 If you see the ass of him that hates you lying under his burden, and would forbear to help him, you shall surely help with him.

23:6 ‹‹Durusmada yoksula karsi adaleti saptirmayacaksiniz.

23:6 You shall not shift the judgment of your poor in his cause.

23:7 Yalandan uzak duracak, suçsuz ve dogru kisiyi öldürmeyeceksiniz. Çünkü ben kötü kisiyi aklamam.

23:7 Keep you far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay you not: for I will not justify the wicked.

23:8 ‹‹Rüsvet almayacaksiniz. Çünkü rüsvet göreni kör eder, hakliyi haksiz çikarir.

23:8 And you shall take no gift: for the gift blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

23:9 ‹‹Yabanciya baski yapmayacaksiniz. Yabanciligin ne oldugunu bilirsiniz. Çünkü siz de Misirda yabanciydiniz.

23:9 Also you shall not oppress a stranger: for all of you know the heart of a stranger, seeing all of you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

23:10 ‹‹Topraginizi alti yil ekecek, ürününü toplayacaksiniz.

23:10 And six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in the fruits thereof:

23:11 Ama yedinci yil nadasa birakacaksiniz; öyle ki, halkinizin arasindaki yoksullar yiyecek bulabilsin, onlardan artakalani da yabanil hayvanlar yesin. Baginiza ve zeytinliginize de ayni seyi yapin.

23:11 But the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie still; that the poor of your people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner you shall deal with your vineyard, and with your olive yard.

23:12 Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest: that yours ox and yours ass may rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

23:13 ‹‹Söyledigim her seyi yerine getirin. Baska ilahlarin adini anmayin, agziniza almayin.››

23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.

23:14 ‹‹Yilda üç kez bana bayram yapacaksiniz.

23:14 Three times you shall keep a feast unto me in the year.

23:15 Size buyurdugum gibi, Aviv ayinin belirli günlerinde yedi gün mayasiz ekmek yiyerek Mayasiz Ekmek Bayramini kutlayacaksiniz. Çünkü Misirdan o ay çiktiniz. ‹‹Kimse huzuruma eli bos çikmasin.

23:15 You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

23:16 ‹‹Tarlaya ektiginiz ürünleri biçtiginizde ilk ürünlerle Hasat Bayramini kutlayacaksiniz. ‹‹Yil sonunda tarladan ürünlerinizi topladiginizda Ürün Devsirme Bayramini kutlayacaksiniz.

23:21 Ona dikkat edin, sözünü dinleyin, baskaldirmayin. Çünkü beni temsil ettigi için baskaldirinizi bagislamaz.

23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

23:22 Ama onun sözünü dikkatle dinler, bütün söylediklerimi yerine getirirseniz, düsmanlariniza düsman, hasimlariniza hasim olacagim.

23:22 But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto yours enemies, and an adversary unto yours adversaries.

23:23 Melegim önünüzden gidecek, sizi Amor, Hitit, Periz, Kenan, Hiv ve Yevus topraklarina götürecek. Onlari yok edecegim.

23:23 For mine Angel shall go before you, and bring you in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

23:24 Onlarin ilahlari önünde egilmeyecek, tapinmayacaksiniz; törelerini izlemeyeceksiniz. Tersine, ilahlarini yok edecek, dikili taslarini büsbütün parçalayacaksiniz.

23:24 You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

23:25 Tanriniz RABbe tapacaksiniz. Ekmeginizi, suyunuzu bereketli kilacak, aranizdaki hastaliklari yok edecegim.

23:25 And all of you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

23:26 Ülkenizde kisir ve çocuk düsüren kadin olmayacak. Size uzun ömür verecegim.

23:26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in your land: the number of your days I will fulfill.

23:27 ‹‹Dehsetimi önünüzden gönderecek, karsilasacaginiz bütün halklari saskina çevirecegim. Düsmanlariniz önünüzden kaçacak.

23:28 Hivlileri, Kenanlilari, Hititleri önünüzden kovmalari için önünüzsira esekarisifü gönderecegim.

23:28 And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.

23:29 Ama onlari bir yil içinde kovmayacagim. Yoksa ülke viran olur, yabanil hayvanlar çogaldikça çogalir, sayilari sizi asar.

23:29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against you.

23:30 Siz çogalincaya, topragi yurt edininceye dek onlari azar azar kovacagim. bilinmiyor.

23:30 By little and little I will drive them out from before you, until you be increased, and inherit the land.

23:31 ‹‹Sinirlarinizi Kizildenizden Filist Denizine, çölden Firat Irmagina kadar genisletecegim. Ülke halkini elinize teslim edecegim. Onlari önünüzden kovacaksiniz.

23:31 And I will set your bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out before you.

23:32 Onlarla ya da ilahlariyla antlasma yapmayacaksiniz.

23:32 You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

23:33 Onlari ülkenizde barindirmayacaksiniz. Yoksa bana karsi günah islemenize neden olurlar. Ilahlarina taparsaniz, size tuzak olur.››

23:33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me: for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto you.

 Exodus

24:1 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Sen, Harun, Nadav, Avihu ve Israil ileri gelenlerinden yetmis kisi bana gelin›› dedi, ‹‹Bana uzaktan tapin.

24:1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship all of you far off.

24:2 Yalniz sen bana yaklasacaksin. Ötekiler yaklasmamali. Halk seninle daga çikmamali.››

24:2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

24:3 Musa gidip RABbin bütün buyruklarini, ilkelerini halka anlatti. Herkes bir agizdan, ‹‹RABbin her söyledigini yapacagiz›› diye karsilik verdi.

24:3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD has said will we do.

24:4 Musa RABbin bütün buyruklarini yazdi. Sabah erkenden kalkip dagin eteginde bir sunak kurdu, Israilin on iki oymagini simgeleyen on iki tas sütun dikti.

24:4 And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

24:5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.

24:6 Musa kanin yarisini legenlere doldurdu, öbür yarisini sunagin üzerine döktü.

24:6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

24:7 Sonra antlasma kitabini alip halka okudu. Halk, ‹‹RABbin her söyledigini yapacagiz, Onu dinleyecegiz›› dedi.

24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

24:8 Musa legenlerdeki kani halkin üzerine serpti ve, ‹‹Bütün bu sözler uyarinca, RABbin sizinle yaptigi antlasmanin kani budur›› dedi.

24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.

24:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:

24:10 Israilin Tanrisini gördüler. Tanrinin ayaklari altinda laciverttasini andiran bir döseme vardi. Gök gibi duruydu.

24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

24:11 Tanri Israil soylularina zarar vermedi. Tanriyi gördüler, sonra yiyip içtiler.

24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

24:12 RAB Musaya, ‹‹Daga, yanima gel›› dedi, ‹‹Burada bekle, halkin ögrenmesi için üzerine yasalarla buyruklari yazdigim tas levhalari sana verecegim.››

24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them.

24:13 Musayla yardimcisi Yesu hazirlandilar. Musa Tanri Dagina çikarken,

24:13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

24:14 Israil ileri gelenlerine, ‹‹Geri dönünceye kadar bizi burada bekleyin›› dedi, ‹‹Harunla Hur aranizda; kimin sorunu olursa onlara basvursun.››

24:14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry all of you here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.

24:15 Musa daga çikinca, bulut dagi kapladi.

24:15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

24:16 RABbin görkemi Sina Daginin üzerine indi. Bulut dagi alti gün örttü. Yedinci gün RAB bulutun içinden Musaya seslendi.

24:16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

24:17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

24:18 Musa bulutun içinden daga çikti. Kirk gün kirk gece dagda kaldi.

24:18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

 Exodus

25:1 RAB Musaya söyle dedi:

25:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

25:2 ‹‹Israillilere söyle, bana armagan getirsinler. Gönülden veren herkesin armaganini alin.

25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his heart all of you shall take my offering.

25:3 Onlardan alacaginiz armaganlar sunlardir: Altin, gümüs, tunç;

25:3 And this is the offering which all of you shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

25:4 lacivert, mor, kirmizi iplik; ince keten, keçi kili,

25:4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

25:5 deri, kirmizi boyali koç derisi, akasya agaci,

25:5 And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,

25:6 kandil için zeytinyagi, mesh yagiyla güzel kokulu buhur için baharat,

25:6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,

25:7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

25:9 Konutu ve esyalarini sana gösterecegim örnege tipatip uygun yapin.››

25:9 According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall all of you make it.

25:10 ‹‹Akasya agacindan bir sandik yapsinlar. Boyu iki buçuk, eni ve yüksekligi birer buçuk arsin olsun.

25:10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

25:11 Içini de disini da saf altinla kapla. Çevresine altin pervaz yap.

25:11 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, within and without shall you overlay it, and shall make upon it a crown of gold round about.

25:12 Dört altin halka döküp dört ayagina tak. Ikisi bir yanda, ikisi öbür yanda olacak.

25:12 And you shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.

25:13 Akasya agacindan siriklar yapip altinla kapla.

25:13 And you shall make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

25:14 Sandigin tasinmasi için siriklari yanlardaki halkalara geçir.

25:14 And you shall put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

25:15 Siriklar sandigin halkalarinda kalacak, çikarilmayacak.

25:15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

25:16 Antlasmanin tas levhalarini sana verecegim. Onlari sandigin içine koy.

25:16 And you shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

25:17 ‹‹Saf altindan bir Bagislanma Kapagi yap. Boyu iki buçuk, eni bir buçuk arsin olacak.

25:17 And you shall make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

25:18 Kapagin iki kenarina dövme altindan birer Keruv yap.

25:18 And you shall make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shall you make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

25:19 Keruvlardan birini bir kenara, öbürünü öteki kenara, kapakla tek parça halinde yap.

25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall all of you make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

25:20 Keruvlar yukari dogru açik kanatlariyla kapagi örtecek. Yüzleri birbirine dönük olacak ve kapaga bakacak.

25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

25:21 Kapagi sandigin üzerine, sana verecegim tas levhalari ise sandigin içine koy.

25:21 And you shall put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.

25:22 Seninle orada, Levha Sandiginin üstündeki Keruvlar arasinda, Bagislanma Kapaginin üzerinde görüsecegim ve Israilliler için sana buyruklar verecegim.›› ‹‹Kapporet›› sözcügü Tanrinin öfkesinin yatistirildigi, halkinin günahlarinin bagislanip Tanriyla baristirildigi özel yeri ifade ediyordu.

25:22 And there I will meet with you, and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment unto the children of Israel.

25:23 ‹‹Akasya agacindan bir masa yap. Boyu ikifç, eni bir, yüksekligi bir buçuk arsin olacak.

25:23 You shall also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

25:24 Masayi saf altinla kapla. Çevresine altin pervaz yap.

25:24 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

25:25 Pervazin çevresine dört parmak eninde bir kenarlik yaparak altin pervazla çevir.

25:25 And you shall make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and you shall make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

25:26 Masa için dört altin halka yap, dört ayak üzerindeki dört köseye yerlestir.

28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goes in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he comes out, that he die not.

28:36 ‹‹Saf altindan bir levha yap ve üzerine mühür oyar gibi ‹RABbe adanmistir› sözünü oy;

28:36 And you shall make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

28:37 lacivert bir kordonla sarigin ön tarafina bagla.

28:37 And you shall put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the turban; upon the forefront of the turban it shall be.

28:38 Harun onu alninda tasiyacak. Israilliler kutsal bagislarini getirirken suç islemislerse, suçlarini Harun tasiyacak; onlar önümde kabul görsün diye levha sürekli Harunun alninda bulunacak.

28:38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

28:39 And you shall embroider the coat of fine linen, and you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the girdle of needlework.

28:40 ‹‹Harunun ogullarina mintanlar, kusaklar, görkem ve sayginlik kazandiracak basliklar yap.

28:40 And for Aaron's sons you shall make coats, and you shall make for them girdles, and bonnets shall you make for them, for glory and for beauty.

28:41 And you shall put them upon Aaron your brother, and his sons with him; and shall anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

28:42 ‹‹Edep yerlerini örtmek için onlara keten donlar yap. Boyu belden uyluga kadar olacak.

28:42 And you shall make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

28:43 Harun'la ogullari Bulusma Çadiri'na girdiklerinde ya da Kutsal Yer'de hizmet etmek üzere sunaga yaklastiklarinda, suç isleyip ölmemek için bu donlari giyecekler. Harun ve soyundan gelenler için sürekli bir kural olacak bu.››

28:43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
