John

11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

11:2 Meryem, Rabbe güzel kokulu yag sürüp saçlariyla Onun ayaklarini silen kadindi. Hasta Lazar ise Meryemin kardesiydi.

11:2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

11:3 Iki kizkardes Isaya, ‹‹Rab, sevdigin kisi hasta›› diye haber gönderdiler.

11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.

11:4 Isa bunu isitince, ‹‹Bu hastalik ölümle sonuçlanmayacak; Tanrinin yüceligine, Tanri Oglunun yüceltilmesine hizmet edecek›› dedi.

11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

11:5 Isa Martayi, kizkardesini ve Lazari severdi.

11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

11:6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

11:7 Then after that says he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

11:8 Ögrenciler, ‹‹Rabb dediler, ‹‹Yahudi yetkililer demin seni taslamaya kalkistilar. Yine oraya mi gidiyorsun?››

11:8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone you; and go you thither again?

11:9 Isa su karsiligi verdi: ‹‹Günün on iki saati yok mu? Gündüz yürüyen sendelemez. Çünkü bu dünyanin isigini görür.

11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.

11:10 Oysa gece yürüyen sendeler. Çünkü kendisinde isik yoktur.››

11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.

11:11 These things said he: and after that he says unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

11:12 Ögrenciler, ‹‹Ya Rab›› dediler, ‹‹Uyuduysa iyilesecektir.››

11:12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

11:13 Isa Lazarin ölümünden söz ediyordu, ama onlar olagan uykudan söz ettigini sanmislardi.

11:13 Nevertheless Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

11:14 Bunun üzerine Isa açikça, ‹‹Lazar öldü›› dedi.

11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

11:15 ‹‹Iman edesiniz diye, orada bulunmadigima sizin için seviniyorum. Simdi onun yanina gidelim.››

11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent all of you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

11:16 ‹‹Ikiz›› diye anilan Tomas öbür ögrencilere, ‹‹Biz de gidelim, Onunla birlikte ölelim!›› dedi.

11:16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

11:17 Isa Beytanyaya yaklasinca Lazarin dört gündür mezarda oldugunu ögrendi.

11:17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

11:18 Beytanya, Yerusalime on bes ok atimi kadar uzakliktaydi.

11:18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

11:19 Birçok Yahudi, kardeslerini yitiren Martayla Meryemi avutmaya gelmisti.

11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

11:20 Marta Isanin geldigini duyunca Onu karsilamaya çikti, Meryem ise evde kaldi.

11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

11:21 Marta Isaya, ‹‹Ya Rab›› dedi, ‹‹Burada olsaydin, kardesim ölmezdi.

11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

11:22 Simdi bile, Tanridan ne dilersen Tanrinin onu sana verecegini biliyorum.››

11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will give it you.

11:23 Isa, ‹‹Kardesin dirilecektir›› dedi.

11:23 Jesus says unto her, Your brother shall rise again.

11:24 Marta, ‹‹Son gün, dirilis günü onun dirilecegini biliyorum›› dedi.

11:24 Martha says unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

11:25 Isa ona, ‹‹Dirilis ve yasam Benim›› dedi. ‹‹Bana iman eden kisi ölse de yasayacaktir.

11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

11:26 Yasayan ve bana iman eden asla ölmeyecek. Buna iman ediyor musun?››

11:26 And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this?

11:27 Marta, ‹‹Evet, ya Rab›› dedi. ‹‹Senin, dünyaya gelecek olan Tanrinin Oglu Mesih olduguna iman ettim.››

11:27 She says unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

11:28 Bunu söyledikten sonra gidip kizkardesi Meryemi gizlice çagirdi. ‹‹Ögretmen burada, seni çagiriyor›› dedi.

11:28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master has come, and calls for you.

11:29 Meryem bunu isitince hemen kalkip Isanin yanina gitti.

11:29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

11:30 Isa henüz köye varmamisti, hâlâ Martanin kendisini karsiladigi yerdeydi.

11:30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

11:31 Meryemle birlikte evde bulunan ve kendisini teselli eden Yahudiler, onun hizla kalkip disari çiktigini gördüler. Aglamak için mezara gittigini sanarak onu izlediler.

11:31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goes unto the grave to weep there.

11:32 Meryem Isanin bulundugu yere vardi. Onu görünce ayaklarina kapanarak, ‹‹Ya Rab›› dedi, ‹‹Burada olsaydin, kardesim ölmezdi.››

11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

11:33 Meryemin ve onunla gelen Yahudilerin agladigini gören Isanin ruhunu hüzün kapladi, yüregi sizladi.

11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and was troubled.

11:34 ‹‹Onu nereye koydunuz?›› diye sordu. Ona, ‹‹Ya Rab, gel gör›› dediler.

11:34 And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

11:35 Isa agladi.

11:35 Jesus wept.

11:36 Yahudiler, ‹‹Bakin, onu ne kadar seviyormus!›› dediler.

11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

11:39 Isa, ‹‹Tasi çekin!›› dedi. Ölenin kizkardesi Marta, ‹‹Rab, o artik kokmustur, öleli dört gün oldu›› dedi.

11:39 Jesus said, Take all of you away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, says unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been dead four days.

11:40 Isa ona, ‹‹Ben sana, ‹Iman edersen Tanrinin yüceligini göreceksin› demedim mi?›› dedi.

11:40 Jesus says unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?

11:41 Bunun üzerine tasi çektiler. Isa gözlerini gökyüzüne kaldirarak söyle dedi: ‹‹Baba, beni isittigin için sana sükrediyorum.

11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

11:42 Beni her zaman isittigini biliyordum.

11:42 And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

11:43 Bunlari söyledikten sonra yüksek sesle, ‹‹Lazar, disari çik!›› diye bagirdi.

11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

11:44 Ölü, elleri ayaklari sargilarla bagli, yüzü peskirle sarilmis olarak disari çikti. Isa oradakilere, ‹‹Onu çözün, birakin gitsin›› dedi.

11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus says unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

11:45 O zaman, Meryeme gelen ve Isanin yaptiklarini gören Yahudilerin birçogu Isaya iman etti.

11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

11:46 Ama içlerinden bazilari Ferisilere giderek Isanin yaptiklarini onlara bildirdiler.

11:46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man does many miracles.

11:48 Böyle devam etmesine izin verirsek, herkes Ona iman edecek.

11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

11:49 Içlerinden biri, o yil baskâhin olan Kayafa, ‹‹Hiçbir sey bilmiyorsunuz›› dedi.

11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, All of you know nothing at all,

Bunu anlamiyor musunuz?››

11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

11:51 And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

11:53 Böylece o günden itibaren Isayi öldürmek için düzen kurmaya basladilar.

11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together in order to put him to death.

11:54 Bu yüzden Isa artik Yahudiler arasinda açikça dolasmaz oldu. Oradan ayrilarak çöle yakin bir yere, Efrayim denilen kente gitti. Ögrencileriyle birlikte orada kaldi.

11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

11:55 Yahudilerin Fisih Bayrami yakindi. Tasradakilerin birçogu bayramdan önce arinmak için Yerusalime gitti.

11:55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

11:56 Orada Isayi arayip durdular. Tapinaktayken birbirlerine, ‹‹Ne dersiniz, bayrama hiç gelmeyecek mi?›› diye soruyorlardi.

11:56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think all of you, that he will not come to the feast?

11:57 Baskâhinlerle Ferisiler O'nu yakalayabilmek için, yerini bilenlerin haber vermesini buyurmuslardi.

11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should show it, that they might take him.

 John

12:1 Isa, Fisih Bayramindan alti gün önce, ölümden dirilttigi Lazarin bulundugu Beytanyaya geldi.

12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

12:2 Orada kendisi için bir ziyafet düzenlediler. Marta hizmet ediyordu. Isayla birlikte sofrada oturanlardan biri de Lazardi.

12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

12:4 Ama ögrencilerinden biri, Isaya sonradan ihanet eden Yahuda Iskariot, ‹‹Bu yag neden üç yüz dinara satilip parasi yoksullara verilmedi?›› dedi.

12:4 Then says one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

12:6 Bunu, yoksullarla ilgilendigi için degil, hirsiz oldugu için söylüyordu. Ortak para kutusu ondaydi ve kutuya konulandan asiriyordu.

12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

12:7 Isa, ‹‹Kadini rahat birak›› dedi. ‹‹Bunu benim gömülecegim gün için saklasin.

12:7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying has she kept this.

12:8 Yoksullar her zaman aranizdadir, ama ben her zaman aranizda olmayacagim.››

12:8 For the poor always all of you have with you; but me all of you have not always.

12:9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

12:10 Baskâhinler ise Lazari da öldürmeyi tasarladilar.

12:10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

12:11 Çünkü onun yüzünden birçok Yahudi gidip Isaya iman ediyordu.

12:11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

12:12 Ertesi gün, bayrami kutlamaya gelen büyük kalabalik Isanin Yerusalime gelmekte oldugunu duydu.

12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

12:13 Hurma dallari alarak Onu karsilamaya çiktilar. ‹‹Hozana! Rabbin adiyla gelene, Israilin Kralina övgüler olsun!›› diye bagiriyorlardi.

12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord.

12:14 Isa bir sipa bulup üzerine bindi. Yazilmis oldugu gibi, ‹‹Korkma, ey Siyon kizi! Iste, Kralin sipaya binmis geliyor.››

12:14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, your King comes, sitting on an ass's colt.

12:16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

12:17 Lazari mezardan çagirip ölümden dirilttigi sirada Isayla birlikte bulunan kalabalik buna taniklik etti.

12:17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

12:18 Isanin bu dogaüstü belirtiyi gerçeklestirdigini duyan halk Onu karsilamaya çikti.

12:18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.

12:19 Ferisiler ise birbirlerine, ‹‹Görüyorsunuz, elinizden hiçbir sey gelmiyor. Bütün dünya Onun pesine takildi›› dediler.

12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive all of you how all of you prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

12:20 Bayramda tapinmak üzere Yerusalime gidenler arasinda bazi Grekler vardi.

12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

12:21 Bunlar, Celilenin Beytsayda Kentinden olan Filipusa gelerek, ‹‹Efendimiz, Isayi görmek istiyoruz›› diye rica ettiler.

12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

12:22 Filipus gitti, bunu Andreasa bildirdi.

12:22 Philip comes and tells Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

12:23 Isa, ‹‹Insanoglunun yüceltilecegi saat geldi›› diye karsilik verdi.

12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

12:24 ‹‹Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, bugday tanesi topraga düsüp ölmedikçe yalniz kalir. Ama ölürse çok ürün verir.

12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.

12:25 Canini seven onu yitirir.

12:25 He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

12:26 Bana hizmet etmek isteyen, ardimdan gelsin. Ben neredeysem bana hizmet eden de orada olacak. Baba, bana hizmet edeni onurlandiracaktir.

12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

12:28 Baba, adini yücelt!›› Bunun üzerine gökten bir ses geldi: ‹‹Adimi yücelttim ve yine yüceltecegim.››

12:28 Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

12:29 Orada duran ve bunu isiten kalabalik, ‹‹Gök gürledi›› dedi. Baskalari, ‹‹Bir melek Onunla konustu›› dedi.

12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.

12:30 Isa, ‹‹Bu ses benim için degil, sizin içindi›› dedi.

12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

12:31 ‹‹Bu dünya simdi yargilaniyor. Bu dünyanin egemeni simdi disari atilacak.

12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

12:32 Ben yerden yukari kaldirildigim zaman bütün insanlari kendime çekecegim.››

12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

12:33 Isa bunu, nasil ölecegini belirtmek için söylüyordu.

12:33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

12:34 Kalabalik Ona söyle karsilik verdi: ‹‹Kutsal Yasadan ögrendigimize göre Mesih sonsuza dek kalacaktir. Nasil oluyor da sen, ‹Insanoglu yukari kaldirilmalidir› diyorsun? Kimdir bu Insanoglu?››

12:34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides for ever: and how says you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.

12:36 While all of you have light, believe in the light, that all of you may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

12:37 Gözleri önünde bunca dogaüstü belirti gerçeklestirdigi halde Ona iman etmediler.

12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

12:38 Bütün bunlar Peygamber Yesayanin söyledigi su söz yerine gelsin diye oldu: ‹‹Rab, verdigimiz habere kim inandi? Rabbin gücü kime açiklandi?››

12:38 That the saying (o. logos) of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

12:39 Iste bu yüzden iman edemiyorlardi. Nitekim Yesaya baska bir yerde de söyle demisti: ‹‹Tanri onlarin gözlerini kör etti Ve yüreklerini nasirlastirdi. Öyle ki, gözleri görmesin, Yürekleri anlamasin Ve bana dönmesinler. Dönselerdi, onlari iyilestirirdim.››

12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,

12:40 He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

12:41 Bunlari söyleyen Yesaya, Isanin yüceligini görmüs ve Onun hakkinda konusmustu.

12:41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.

12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

12:43 Çünkü insandan gelen övgüyü, Tanridan gelen övgüden daha çok seviyorlardi.

12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

12:44 Isa yüksek sesle, ‹‹Bana iman eden bana degil, beni gönderene iman etmis olur›› dedi.

12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.

12:45 ‹‹Beni gören beni göndereni de görür.

12:45 And he that sees me sees him that sent me.

12:46 Bana iman eden hiç kimse karanlikta kalmasin diye, dünyaya isik olarak geldim.

12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.

12:47 Sözlerimi isitip de onlara uymayani ben yargilamam. Çünkü ben dünyayi yargilamaya degil, dünyayi kurtarmaya geldim.

12:47 And if any man hear my words, (o. rhema) and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

12:48 He that rejects me, and receives not my words, (o. rhema) has one that judges him: the word (o. logos) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

12:50 O'nun buyrugunun sonsuz yasam oldugunu biliyorum.

12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

 John

13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

13:2 Aksam yemegi sirasinda Iblis, Simun Iskariotun oglu Yahudanin yüregine Isaya ihanet etme istegini koymustu bile.

13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

13:3 Isa, Babanin her seyi kendisine teslim ettigini, kendisinin Tanridan çikip geldigini ve Tanriya dönecegini biliyordu.

13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

13:4 Yemekten kalkti, üstlügünü bir yana koydu, bir havlu alip beline doladi.

13:4 He rises from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

13:5 After that he pours water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

13:6 Isa, Simun Petrusa geldi. Simun, ‹‹Ya Rab, ayaklarimi sen mi yikayacaksin?›› dedi.

13:6 Then comes he to Simon Peter: and Peter says unto him, Lord, do you wash my feet?

13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you know not now; but you shall know hereafter.

13:8 Petrus, ‹‹Benim ayaklarimi asla yikamayacaksin!›› dedi. Isa, ‹‹Yikamazsam yanimda yerin olmaz›› diye yanitladi.

13:8 Peter says unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash you not, you have no part with me.

13:9 Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

13:10 Isa ona dedi ki, ‹‹Yikanmis olan tamamen temizdir; ayaklarinin yikanmasindan baska seye ihtiyaci yoktur. Sizler temizsiniz, ama hepiniz degil.››

13:10 Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean everything: and all of you are clean, but not all.

13:11 Isa, kendisine kimin ihanet edecegini biliyordu. Bu nedenle, ‹‹Hepiniz temiz degilsiniz›› demisti.

13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, All of you are not all clean.

13:12 Onlarin ayaklarini yikadiktan sonra giyinip yine sofraya oturdu. ‹‹Size ne yaptigimi anliyor musunuz?›› dedi.

13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know all of you what I have done to you?

13:13 ‹‹Siz beni Ögretmen ve Rab diye çagiriyorsunuz. Dogru söylüyorsunuz, öyleyim.

13:13 All of you call me Master and Lord: and all of you say well; for so I am.

13:14 Ben Rab ve Ögretmen oldugum halde ayaklarinizi yikadim; öyleyse, sizler de birbirinizin ayaklarini yikamalisiniz.

13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; all of you also ought to wash one another's feet.

13:15 For I have given you an example, that all of you should do as I have done to you.

13:16 Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, köle efendisinden, elçi de kendisini gönderenden üstün degildir.

13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

13:17 Bildiginiz bu seyleri yaparsaniz, ne mutlu size!››

13:17 If all of you know these things, happy are all of you if all of you do them.

13:18 ‹‹Hepiniz için söylemiyorum, ben seçtiklerimi bilirim. Ama, ‹Ekmegimi yiyen bana ihanet etti› diyen Kutsal Yazinin yerine gelmesi için böyle olacak.

13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.

13:19 Size simdiden, bunlar olmadan önce söylüyorum ki, bunlar olunca, benim O olduguma inanasiniz.

13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it has come to pass, all of you may believe that I am he.

13:20 Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, benim gönderdigim herhangi bir kimseyi kabul eden beni kabul etmis olur. Beni kabul eden de beni göndereni kabul etmis olur.››

13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receives whomsoever I send receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.

13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, (o. pneuma) and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

13:22 Ögrenciler, kimden söz ettigini merak ederek birbirlerine baktilar.

13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.

13:23 Ögrencilerinden biri Isanin gögsüne yaslanmisti. Isa onu severdi.

13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spoke.

13:25 O da Isanin gögsüne yaslanmis durumda, ‹‹Ya Rab, kimdir o?›› diye sordu.

13:25 He then lying on Jesus' breast says unto him, Lord, who is it?

13:26 Isa, ‹‹Lokmayi sahana batirip kime verirsem odur›› diye yanitladi. Sonra lokmayi batirip Simun Iskariotun oglu Yahudaya verdi.

13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a morsel, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

13:27 Yahuda lokmayi alir almaz Seytan onun içine girdi. Isa da ona, ‹‹Yapacagini tez yap!›› dedi.

13:27 And after the morsel Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That you do, do quickly.

13:28 Sofrada oturanlarin hiçbiri, Isanin ona bu sözleri neden söyledigini anlamadi.

13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this unto him.

13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

13:30 Yahuda lokmayi aldiktan hemen sonra disari çikti. Gece olmustu.

13:30 He then having received the morsel went immediately out: and it was night.

13:31 Yahuda disari çikinca Isa, ‹‹Insanoglu simdi yüceltildi›› dedi. ‹‹Tanri da Onda yüceltildi.

13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

13:32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall immediately glorify him.

13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. All of you shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Where I go, all of you cannot come; so now I say to you.

13:34 Size yeni bir buyruk veriyorum: Birbirinizi sevin. Sizi sevdigim gibi siz de birbirinizi sevin.

13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another.

13:35 Birbirinize sevginiz olursa, herkes bununla benim ögrencilerim oldugunuzu anlayacaktir.››

13:35 By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all of you have love (o. agape) one to another.

13:36 Simun Petrus Ona, ‹‹Ya Rab, nereye gidiyorsun?›› diye sordu.

13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, where go you? Jesus answered him, Where I go, you can not follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.

13:37 Petrus, ‹‹Ya Rab, neden simdi senin ardindan gelemeyeyim? Senin için canimi veririm!›› dedi.

13:37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay down my life for your sake.

13:38 Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me three times.

 John

14:1 ‹‹Yüreginiz sikilmasin. Tanriya iman edin, bana da iman edin.

14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: all of you believe in God, believe also in me.

14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

14:3 Gider ve size yer hazirlarsam, siz de benim bulundugum yerde olasiniz diye yine gelip sizi yanima alacagim.

14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there all of you may be also.

14:4 Benim gidecegim yerin yolunu biliyorsunuz.››

14:4 And where I go all of you know, and the way all of you know.

14:5 Tomas, ‹‹Ya Rab, senin nereye gidecegini bilmiyoruz, yolu nasil bilebiliriz?›› dedi.

14:5 Thomas says unto him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?

14:6 Isa, ‹‹Yol, gerçek ve yasam Benim›› dedi. ‹‹Benim araciligim olmadan Babaya kimse gelemez.

14:6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

14:7 Beni tanisaydiniz, Babami da tanirdiniz. Artik Onu taniyorsunuz, Onu gördünüz.››

14:7 If all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth all of you know him, and have seen him.

14:8 Filipus, ‹‹Ya Rab, bize Babayi göster, bu bize yeter›› dedi.

14:8 Philip says unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it satisfies us.

14:9 Isa, ‹‹Filipus›› dedi, ‹‹Bunca zamandir sizinle birlikteyim. Beni daha tanimadin mi? Beni görmüs olan, Babayi görmüstür. Sen nasil, ‹Bize Babayi göster› diyorsun?

14:9 Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how says you then, Show us the Father?

14:10 Benim Babada, Babanin da bende olduguna inanmiyor musun? Size söyledigim sözleri kendiligimden söylemiyorum, ama bende yasayan Baba kendi islerini yapiyor.

14:10 Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (o. rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.

14:11 Bana iman edin; ben Babadayim, Baba da bendedir. Hiç degilse bu islerden dolayi iman edin.

14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

14:12 Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, benim yaptigim isleri, bana iman eden de yapacak; hatta daha büyüklerini yapacaktir. Çünkü ben Babaya gidiyorum.

14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

14:13 Baba Ogulda yüceltilsin diye, benim adimla dilediginiz her seyi yapacagim.

14:13 And whatsoever all of you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14:14 Benim adimla benden ne dilerseniz yapacagim.››

14:14 If all of you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

14:15 ‹‹Beni seviyorsaniz, buyruklarimi yerine getirirsiniz.

14:15 If all of you love me, keep my commandments.

14:16 Ben de Babadan dileyecegim. O sonsuza dek sizinle birlikte olsun diye size baska bir Yardimci, Gerçegin Ruhunu verecek. Dünya Onu kabul edemez. Çünkü Onu ne görür, ne de tanir. Siz Onu taniyorsunuz. Çünkü O aranizda yasiyor ve içinizde olacaktir.

14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

14:17 Even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but all of you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

14:18 Sizi öksüz birakmayacagim, size geri dönecegim.

14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

14:19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but all of you see me: because I live, all of you shall live also.

14:20 At that day all of you shall know that I am in my Father, and all of you in me, and I in you.

14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

14:22 Yahuda -Iskariot degil- Ona, ‹‹Ya Rab, nasil olur da kendini dünyaya göstermeyip bize göstereceksin?›› diye sordu.

14:22 Judas says unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world?

14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: (o. logos) and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

14:24 Beni sevmeyen, sözlerime uymaz. Isittiginiz söz benim degil, beni gönderen Babanindir.

14:24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: (o. logos) and the word (o. logos) which all of you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

14:25 ‹‹Ben daha aranizdayken size bunlari söyledim.

14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

14:26 Ama Babanin benim adimla gönderecegi Yardimci, Kutsal Ruh, size her seyi ögretecek, bütün söylediklerimi size hatirlatacak.

14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

14:27 Size esenlik birakiyorum, size kendi esenligimi veriyorum. Ben size dünyanin verdigi gibi vermiyorum. Yüreginiz sikilmasin ve korkmasin.

14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

14:28 Size, ‹Gidiyorum, ama yaniniza dönecegim› dedigimi isittiniz. Beni sevseydiniz, Babaya gidecegim için sevinirdiniz. Çünkü Baba benden üstündür.

14:28 All of you have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If all of you loved me, all of you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

14:29 Bunlari size simdiden, her sey olup bitmeden önce söyledim. Öyle ki, bunlar olunca inanasiniz.

14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it has come to pass, all of you might believe.

14:30 Artik sizinle uzun uzun konusmayacagim. Çünkü bu dünyanin egemeni geliyor. Onun benim üzerimde hiçbir yetkisi yoktur.

14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.

14:31 Ama dünyanin, Baba'yi sevdigimi ve Baba'nin bana buyurdugu her seyi yerine getirdigimi anlamasini istiyorum. Haydi kalkin, buradan gidelim.››

14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go behind.

 John

15:1 ‹‹Ben gerçek asmayim ve Babam bagcidir.

15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.

15:2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

15:3 Size söyledigim sözle siz simdiden temizsiniz.

15:3 Now all of you are clean through the word (o. logos) which I have spoken unto you.

15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can all of you, except all of you abide in me.

15:5 I am the vine, all of you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me all of you can do nothing.

15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

15:7 If all of you abide in me, and my words (o. rhema) abide in you, all of you shall ask what all of you will, and it shall be done unto you.

15:8 Babam çok meyve vermenizle yüceltilir. Böylelikle ögrencilerim olursunuz.

15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that all of you bear much fruit; so shall all of you be my disciples.

Benim sevgimde kalin.

15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue all of you in my love. (o. agape)

15:10 If all of you keep my commandments, all of you shall abide in my love; (o. agape) even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (o. agape)

15:11 Bunlari size, sevincim sizde olsun ve sevinciniz tamamlansin diye söyledim.

15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

15:12 Benim buyrugum sudur: Sizi sevdigim gibi birbirinizi sevin.

15:12 This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you.

15:13 Greater love (o. agape) has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

15:14 Size buyurduklarimi yaparsaniz, benim dostlarim olursunuz.

15:14 All of you are my friends, if all of you do whatsoever I command you.

15:15 Artik size kul demiyorum. Çünkü kul efendisinin ne yaptigini bilmez. Size dost dedim. Çünkü Babamdan bütün isittiklerimi size bildirdim.

15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

15:16 Siz beni seçmediniz, ben sizi seçtim. Gidip meyve veresiniz, meyveniz de kalici olsun diye sizi ben atadim.

15:16 All of you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that all of you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever all of you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

15:17 Size su buyrugu veriyorum: Birbirinizi sevin!››

15:17 These things I command you, that all of you love one another.

15:18 ‹‹Dünya sizden nefret ederse, sizden önce benden nefret etmis oldugunu bilin.

15:18 If the world hate you, all of you know that it hated me before it hated you.

15:19 If all of you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because all of you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

15:20 Size söyledigim sözü hatirlayin: ‹Köle efendisinden üstün degildir.› Bana zulmettilerse, size de zulmedecekler. Benim sözüme uydularsa, sizinkine de uyacaklar.

15:20 Remember the word (o. logos) that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, (o. logos) they will keep yours also.

15:21 Bütün bunlari size benim adimdan ötürü yapacaklar. Çünkü beni göndereni tanimiyorlar.

15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

15:23 Benden nefret eden, Babamdan da nefret eder.

15:23 He that hates me hates my Father also.

15:24 If I had not done among them the works which no other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

15:25 Bu, yasalarinda yazili, ‹Yok yere benden nefret ettiler› sözü yerine gelsin diye oldu.

15:25 But this comes to pass, that the word (o. logos) might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

15:26 ‹‹Babadan size gönderecegim Yardimci, yani Babadan çikan Gerçegin Ruhu geldigi zaman, bana taniklik edecek.

15:26 But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

15:27 Siz de taniklik edeceksiniz. Çünkü baslangiçtan beri benimle birliktesiniz.

15:27 And all of you also shall bear witness, because all of you have been with me from the beginning.

 John

16:1 ‹‹Bunlari size, sendeleyip düsmeyesiniz diye söyledim.

16:1 These things have I spoken unto you, that all of you should not be offended.

16:2 Sizi havra disi edecekler.

16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.

16:3 Bunlari, Babayi ve beni tanimadiklari için yapacaklar.

16:3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

16:4 Bunlari size simdiden bildiriyorum. Öyle ki, saati gelince bunlari size söyledigimi hatirlayasiniz. Baslangiçta bunlari size söylemedim. Çünkü sizinle birlikteydim.››

16:4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, all of you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

16:5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where go you?

16:6 Ama bunlari söyledigim için yüreginiz kederle doldu.

16:6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.

16:7 Size gerçegi söylüyorum, benim gidisim sizin yararinizadir. Gitmezsem, Yardimci size gelmez. Ama gidersem, Onu size gönderirim.

16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

16:8 O gelince günah, dogruluk ve gelecek yargi konusunda dünyayi suçlu olduguna ikna edecektir:

16:8 And when he has come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

16:9 Günah konusunda, çünkü bana iman etmezler;

16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

16:10 dogruluk konusunda, çünkü Babaya gidiyorum, artik beni görmeyeceksiniz;

16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and all of you see me no more;

16:11 yargi konusunda, çünkü bu dünyanin egemeni yargilanmis bulunuyor.

16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but all of you cannot bear them now.

16:13 Nevertheless when he, the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

16:14 O beni yüceltecek. Çünkü benim olandan alip size bildirecek.

16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.

16:15 Babanin nesi varsa benimdir. ‹Benim olandan alip size bildirecek› dememin nedeni budur.

16:15 All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.

16:16 ‹‹Kisa süre sonra beni artik görmeyeceksiniz; yine kisa süre sonra beni göreceksiniz.››

16:16 A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me, because I go to the Father.

16:17 Ögrencilerinden bazilari birbirlerine, ‹‹Ne demek istiyor?›› diye sordular. ‹‹ ‹Kisa süre sonra beni görmeyeceksiniz; yine kisa süre sonra beni göreceksiniz› diyor. Ayrica, ‹Çünkü Babaya gidiyorum› diyor.››

16:17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he says unto us, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

16:18 Onun için, ‹‹Bu ‹kisa süre› dedigi nedir? Söylediklerini anlamiyoruz›› deyip durdular.

16:18 They said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot tell what he says.

16:19 Isa kendisine soru sormak istediklerini anladi.

16:19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do all of you enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me?

16:20 Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, siz aglayip yas tutacaksiniz, dünya ise sevinecektir. Kederleneceksiniz, ama kederiniz sevince dönüsecek.

16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That all of you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and all of you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

16:21 A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Sevincinizi kimse sizden alamaz.

16:22 And all of you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.

16:23 O gün bana hiçbir sey sormayacaksiniz. Size dogrusunu söyleyeyim, benim adimla Babadan ne dilerseniz, size verecektir.

16:23 And in that day all of you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

16:24 Simdiye dek benim adimla bir sey dilemediniz. Dileyin, alacaksiniz. Öyle ki, sevinciniz tam olsun.

16:24 Until now have all of you asked nothing in my name: ask, and all of you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

16:26 O gün dileyeceginizi benim adimla dileyeceksiniz. Sizin için Babadan istekte bulunacagimi söylemiyorum.

16:26 At that day all of you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

16:27 Çünkü beni sevdiginiz ve Babadan çikip geldigime iman ettiginiz için Babanin kendisi sizi seviyor.

16:27 For the Father himself loves you, because all of you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

16:28 Ben Babadan çikip dünyaya geldim. Simdi dünyayi birakip Babaya dönüyorum.››

16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

16:29 Ögrencileri, ‹‹Iste, simdi açikça konusuyorsun, hiç örnek kullanmiyorsun›› dediler.

16:29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.

16:30 ‹‹Simdi senin her seyi bildigini anliyoruz. Kimsenin sana soru sormasina gerek yok. Tanridan geldigine bunun için iman ediyoruz.››

16:30 Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.

16:31 Isa onlara, ‹‹Simdi iman ediyor musunuz?›› diye karsilik verdi.

16:31 Jesus answered them, Do all of you now believe?

16:32 ‹‹Iste, hepinizin evlerinize gitmek üzere dagilacaginiz ve beni yalniz birakacaginiz saat geliyor, geldi bile. Ama ben yalniz degilim, Baba benimle birliktedir.

16:32 Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that all of you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

16:33 Bunlari size, bende esenliginiz olsun diye söyledim. Dünyada sikintiniz olacak. Ama cesur olun, ben dünyayi yendim!››

16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me all of you might have peace. In the world all of you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

 John

17:1 Isa bunlari söyledikten sonra, gözlerini gökyüzüne kaldirip söyle dedi: ‹‹Baba, saat geldi. Oglunu yücelt ki, Ogul da seni yüceltsin.

17:1 These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:

17:2 Çünkü sen Ona bütün insanlik üzerinde yetki verdin. Öyle ki, Ona verdiklerinin hepsine sonsuz yasam versin.

17:2 As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.

17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

17:4 Yapmam için bana verdigin isi tamamlamakla seni yeryüzünde yücelttim.

17:4 I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.

17:5 Baba, dünya var olmadan önce ben senin yanindayken sahip oldugum yücelikle simdi beni yaninda yücelt.

17:5 And now, O Father, glorify you me with yours own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

17:6 ‹‹Dünyadan bana verdigin insanlara senin adini açikladim. Onlar senindiler, bana verdin ve senin sözüne uydular.

17:6 I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them me; and they have kept your word. (o. logos)

17:7 Bana verdigin her seyin senden oldugunu simdi biliyorlar.

17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you.

17:8 Çünkü bana ilettigin sözleri onlara ilettim, onlar da kabul ettiler. Senden çikip geldigimi gerçekten anladilar, beni senin gönderdigine iman ettiler.

17:8 For I have given unto them the words (o. rhema) which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.

17:9 Onlar için istekte bulunuyorum. Dünya için degil, bana verdigin kimseler için istekte bulunuyorum. Çünkü onlar senindir.

17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours.

17:10 And all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them.

17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through yours own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are.

17:12 Kendileriyle birlikte oldugum sürece, bana verdigin kendi adinla onlari esirgeyip korudum. Kutsal Yazi yerine gelsin diye, mahva giden adamdan baska içlerinden hiçbiri mahvolmadi.

17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

17:13 ‹‹Iste simdi sana geliyorum. Sevincimin onlarda tamamlanmasi için bunlari ben dünyadayken söylüyorum.

17:13 And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

17:14 I have given them your word; (o. logos) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17:15 Onlari dünyadan uzaklastirmani degil, kötü olandan korumani istiyorum.

17:15 I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.

17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17:17 Onlari gerçekle kutsal kil. Senin sözün gerçektir.

17:17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word (o. logos) is truth.

17:18 As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

17:19 Onlar da gerçekle kutsal kilinsinlar diye kendimi onlarin ugruna adiyorum.

17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (o. logos)

17:21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

17:22 And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

17:23 Ben onlarda, sen bende olmak üzere tam bir birlik içinde bulunsunlar ki, dünya beni senin gönderdigini, beni sevdigin gibi onlari da sevdigini anlasin.

17:23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

17:24 Baba, bana verdiklerinin de bulundugum yerde benimle birlikte olmalarini ve benim yüceligimi, bana verdigin yüceligi görmelerini istiyorum. Çünkü dünyanin kurulusundan önce sen beni sevdin.

17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

17:25 Adil Baba, dünya seni tanimiyor, ama ben seni taniyorum. Bunlar da beni senin gönderdigini biliyorlar.

17:25 O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me.

17:26 Bana besledigin sevgi onlarda olsun, ben de onlarda olayim diye senin adini onlara bildirdim ve bildirmeye devam edecegim.››

17:26 And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love (o. agape) wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.

 John

18:1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

18:2 Ona ihanet eden Yahuda da burayi biliyordu. Çünkü Isa, ögrencileriyle orada sik sik bulusurdu.

18:2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus frequently resorted thither with his disciples.

18:3 Böylece Yahuda yanina bir bölük askerle baskâhinlerin ve Ferisilerin gönderdigi görevlileri alarak oraya geldi. Onlarin ellerinde fenerler, mesaleler ve silahlar vardi.

18:3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

18:4 Isa, basina geleceklerin hepsini biliyordu. Öne çikip onlara, ‹‹Kimi ariyorsunuz?›› diye sordu.

18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek all of you?

18:5 ‹‹Nasirali Isayi›› diye karsilik verdiler. Isa onlara, ‹‹Benim›› dedi. Ona ihanet eden Yahuda da onlarla birlikte duruyordu.

18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus says unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

18:6 Isa, ‹‹Benim›› deyince gerileyip yere düstüler.

18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

18:7 Bunun üzerine Isa onlara yine, ‹‹Kimi ariyorsunuz?›› diye sordu. ‹‹Nasirali Isayi›› dediler.

18:7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek all of you? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

18:8 Isa, ‹‹Size söyledim, benim›› dedi. ‹‹Eger beni ariyorsaniz, bunlari birakin gitsinler.››

18:8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore all of you seek me, let these go their way:

18:9 Kendisinin daha önce söyledigi, ‹‹Senin bana verdiklerinden hiçbirini yitirmedim›› seklindeki sözü yerine gelsin diye böyle konustu.

18:9 That the saying (o. logos) might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Of them which you gave me have I lost none.

18:10 Simun Petrus yaninda tasidigi kilici çekti, baskâhinin Malkus adindaki kölesine vurup sag kulagini kopardi.

18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and stroke the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

18:11 Isa Petrusa, ‹‹Kilicini kinina koy! Babanin bana verdigi kâseden içmeyeyim mi?›› dedi.

18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up your sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?

18:12 Bunun üzerine komutanla buyrugundaki asker bölügü ve Yahudi görevliler Isayi tutup bagladilar.

18:12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

18:13 Onu önce, o yil baskâhin olan Kayafanin kayinbabasi Hanana götürdüler.

18:13 And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

18:14 Halkin ugruna bir tek adamin ölmesinin daha uygun olacagini Yahudi yetkililere telkin eden Kayafa idi.

18:14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

18:15 Simun Petrusla baska bir ögrenci Isanin ardindan gidiyorlardi. O ögrenci baskâhinin tanidigi oldugu için Isayla birlikte baskâhinin avlusuna girdi.

18:15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

18:16 Petrus ise disarida, kapinin yaninda duruyordu. Baskâhinin tanidigi ögrenci disari çikip kapici kizla konustu ve Petrusu içeri getirdi.

18:16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spoke unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

Petrus, ‹‹Hayir, degilim›› dedi.

18:17 Then says the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Are not you also one of this man's disciples? He says, I am not.

18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.

18:19 Baskâhin Isaya, ögrencileri ve ögretisiyle ilgili sorular sordu.

18:19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

18:20 Isa onu söyle yanitladi: ‹‹Ben söylediklerimi dünyaya açikça söyledim. Her zaman bütün Yahudilerin toplandiklari havralarda ve tapinakta ögrettim. Gizli hiçbir sey söylemedim.

18:20 Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

18:21 Beni neden sorguya çekiyorsun? Konustuklarimi isitenlerden sor. Onlar ne söyledigimi biliyorlar.››

18:21 Why ask you me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

18:22 Isa bunlari söyleyince, yaninda duran görevlilerden biri, ‹‹Baskâhine nasil böyle karsilik verirsin?›› diyerek Ona bir tokat atti.

18:22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answer you the high priest so?

18:23 Isa ona, ‹‹Eger yanlis bir sey söyledimse, yanlisimi göster!›› diye yanitladi. ‹‹Ama söylediklerim dogruysa, niçin bana vuruyorsun?››

18:23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smite you me?

18:24 Bunun üzerine Hanan, Onu bagli olarak baskâhin Kayafaya gönderdi.

18:24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

18:25 Simun Petrus hâlâ atesin yaninda durmus isiniyordu. Ona, ‹‹Sen de Onun ögrencilerinden degil misin?›› dediler. ‹‹Hayir, degilim›› diyerek inkâr etti.

18:25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Are not you also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

18:26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, says, Did not I see you in the garden with him?

18:27 Petrus yine inkâr etti ve tam o anda horoz öttü.

18:27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

18:28 Sabah erkenden Yahudi yetkililer Isayi Kayafanin yanindan alarak vali konagina götürdüler.

18:28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

18:29 Bunun üzerine Pilatus disari çikip yanlarina geldi. ‹‹Bu adami neyle suçluyorsunuz?›› diye sordu.

18:29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring all of you against this man?

18:30 Ona su karsiligi verdiler: ‹‹Bu adam kötülük eden biri olmasaydi, Onu sana getirmezdik.››

18:30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a villain, we would not have delivered him up unto you.

18:31 Pilatus, ‹‹Onu siz alin, kendi yasaniza göre yargilayin›› dedi. Yahudi yetkililer, ‹‹Bizim hiç kimseyi ölüm cezasina çarptirmaya yetkimiz yok›› dediler.

18:31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take all of you him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

18:32 Bu, Isanin nasil ölecegini belirtmek için söyledigi sözler yerine gelsin diye oldu.

18:32 That the saying (o. logos) of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.

18:33 Pilatus yine vali konagina girdi. Isayi çagirip Ona, ‹‹Sen Yahudilerin Krali misin?›› diye sordu.

18:33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Are you the King of the Jews?

18:34 Isa söyle karsilik verdi: ‹‹Bunu kendiliginden mi söylüyorsun, yoksa baskalari mi sana söyledi?››

18:34 Jesus answered him, Says you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?

18:35 Pilatus, ‹‹Ben Yahudi miyim?›› dedi. ‹‹Seni bana kendi ulusun ve baskâhinlerin teslim ettiler. Ne yaptin?››

18:35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Yours own nation and the chief priests have delivered you unto me: what have you done?

Oysa benim kralligim buradan degildir.››

18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from behind.

18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You says that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

18:38 Pilatus Ona, ‹‹Gerçek nedir?›› diye sordu. Bunu söyledikten sonra Pilatus yine disariya, Yahudilerin yanina çikti. Onlara, ‹‹Ben Onda hiçbir suç görmüyorum›› dedi.

18:38 Pilate says unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and says unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

18:39 But all of you have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will all of you therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

18:40 Onlar yine, ‹‹Bu adami degil, Barabba'yi isteriz!›› diye bagristilar. Oysa Barabba bir hayduttu.

18:40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

 John

19:1 O zaman Pilatus Isayi tutup kamçilatti.

19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

19:2 And the soldiers intertwined a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

19:3 Önüne geliyor, ‹‹Selam, ey Yahudilerin Krali!›› diyor, yüzüne tokat atiyorlardi.

19:3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they stroke him with their hands.

19:4 Pilatus yine disari çikti. Yahudilere, ‹‹Iste, Onu disariya, size getiriyorum. Onda hiçbir suç bulmadigimi bilesiniz›› dedi.

19:4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and says unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that all of you may know that I find no fault in him.

19:5 Böylece Isa, basindaki dikenli taç ve üzerindeki mor kaftanla disari çikti. Pilatus onlara, ‹‹Iste o adam!›› dedi.

19:5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate says unto them, Behold the man!

19:6 Baskâhinler ve görevliler Isayi görünce, ‹‹Çarmiha ger, çarmiha ger!›› diye bagristilar. Pilatus, ‹‹Onu siz alip çarmiha gerin!›› dedi. ‹‹Ben Onda bir suç bulamiyorum!››

19:6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Take all of you him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

19:8 Pilatus bu sözü isitince daha çok korktu.

19:8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, (o. logos) he was the more afraid;

19:9 Yine vali konagina girip Isaya, ‹‹Sen nereden geliyorsun?›› diye sordu. Isa ona yanit vermedi.

19:9 And went again into the judgment hall, and says unto Jesus, Whence are you? But Jesus gave him no answer.

19:10 Pilatus, ‹‹Benimle konusmayacak misin?›› dedi. ‹‹Seni salivermeye de, çarmiha germeye de yetkim oldugunu bilmiyor musun?››

19:10 Then says Pilate unto him, Speak you not unto me? know you not that I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?

19:11 Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me unto you has the greater sin.

19:12 Bunun üzerine Pilatus Isayi salivermek istedi. Ama Yahudiler, ‹‹Bu adami saliverirsen, Sezarin dostu degilsin!›› diye bagristilar. ‹‹Kral oldugunu ileri süren herkes Sezara karsi gelmis olur.››

19:12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend: whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

19:13 Pilatus bu sözleri isitince Isayi disari çikardi. Tas Döseme -Ibranicede Gabbata- denilen yerde yargi kürsüsüne oturdu.

19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, (o. logos) he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

19:14 Fisih Bayramina Hazirlik Günüydü. Saat on iki sulariydi. Pilatus Yahudilere, ‹‹Iste, sizin Kraliniz!›› dedi.

19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he says unto the Jews, Behold your King!

19:15 Onlar, ‹‹Yok et Onu! Yok et, çarmiha ger!›› diye bagristilar. Pilatus, ‹‹Kralinizi mi çarmiha gereyim?›› diye sordu. Baskâhinler, ‹‹Sezardan baska kralimiz yok!›› karsiligini verdiler.

19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

19:16 Bunun üzerine Pilatus Isayi, çarmiha gerilmek üzere onlara teslim etti.

19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

19:17 Askerler Isayi alip götürdüler. Isa çarmihini kendisi tasiyip Kafatasi -Ibranicede Golgota- denilen yere çikti.

19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

19:18 Orada Onu ve iki kisiyi daha çarmiha gerdiler. Biri bir yanda, öbürü öteki yanda, Isa ise ortadaydi.

19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

19:21 Bu yüzden Yahudi baskâhinler Pilatusa, ‹‹ ‹Yahudilerin Krali› diye yazma›› dediler. ‹‹Kendisi, ‹Ben Yahudilerin Kraliyim dedi› diye yaz.››

19:21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

19:22 Pilatus, ‹‹Ne yazdimsa yazdim›› karsiligini verdi.

19:22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

19:23 Askerler Isayi çarmiha gerdikten sonra giysilerini alip her birine birer pay düsecek biçimde dört parçaya böldüler. Mintanini da aldilar. Mintan boydan boya tek parça dikissiz bir dokumaydi.

19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

19:24 Birbirlerine, ‹‹Bunu yirtmayalim›› dediler, ‹‹Kime düsecek diye kura çekelim.›› Bu olay, su Kutsal Yazi yerine gelsin diye oldu: ‹‹Giysilerimi aralarinda paylastilar, Elbisem üzerine kura çektiler.›› Bunlari askerler yapti.

19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

19:26 Isa, annesiyle sevdigi ögrencinin yakininda durdugunu görünce annesine, ‹‹Anne, iste oglun!›› dedi.

19:26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he says unto his mother, Woman, behold your son!

19:27 Sonra ögrenciye, ‹‹Iste, annen!›› dedi. O andan itibaren bu ögrenci Isanin annesini kendi evine aldi.

19:27 Then says he to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

19:28 Daha sonra Isa, her seyin artik tamamlandigini bilerek Kutsal Yazi yerine gelsin diye, ‹‹Susadim!›› dedi.

19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, says, I thirst.

19:29 Orada eksi sarap dolu bir kap vardi. Saraba batirilmis bir süngeri mercankösk dalina takarak Onun agzina uzattilar.

19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

19:30 Isa sarabi tadinca, ‹‹Tamamlandi!›› dedi ve basini egerek ruhunu teslim etti.

19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit. (o. pneuma)

19:31 Yahudi yetkililer Pilatustan çarmiha gerilenlerin bacaklarinin kirilmasini ve cesetlerin kaldirilmasini istediler. Hazirlik Günü oldugundan, cesetlerin Sabat Günü çarmihta kalmasini istemiyorlardi. Çünkü o Sabat Günü büyük bayramdi.

19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

19:32 Bunun üzerine askerler gidip birinci adamin, sonra da Isayla birlikte çarmiha gerilen öteki adamin bacaklarini kirdilar.

19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.

19:33 Isaya gelince Onun ölmüs oldugunu gördüler. Bu yüzden bacaklarini kirmadilar.

19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

19:34 Ama askerlerden biri Onun bögrünü mizrakla deldi. Bögründen hemen kan ve su akti.

19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

19:35 Bunu gören adam taniklik etmistir ve tanikligi dogrudur. Dogruyu söyledigini bilir. Siz de iman edesiniz diye taniklik etmistir.

19:35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he says true, that all of you might believe.

19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

19:37 Yine baska bir Yazida, ‹‹Bedenini destiklerine bakacaklar›› deniyor.

19:37 And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Pilatus izin verince, Yusuf gelip Isanin cesedini kaldirdi.

19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

19:40 Ikisi, Isanin cesedini alip Yahudilerin gömme gelenegine uygun olarak onu baharatla keten bezlere sardilar.

19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new tomb, wherein was never man yet laid.

19:42 O gün Yahudiler'in Hazirlik Günü'ydü. Mezar da yakin oldugundan Isa'yi oraya koydular.

19:42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the tomb was nigh at hand.

 John

20:1 Haftanin ilk günü erkenden, ortalik daha karanlikken Mecdelli Meryem mezara gitti. Tasin mezarin girisinden kaldirilmis oldugunu gördü.

20:1 The first day of the week comes Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb.

20:2 Kosarak Simun Petrusa ve Isanin sevdigi öbür ögrenciye geldi. ‹‹Rabbi mezardan almislar, nereye koyduklarini da bilmiyoruz›› dedi.

20:2 Then she runs, and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and says unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.

20:3 Bunun üzerine Petrusla öteki ögrenci disari çikip mezara yöneldiler.

20:3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the tomb.

20:4 Ikisi birlikte kosuyordu.

20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the tomb.

20:5 Egilip içeri bakti, keten bezleri orada serili gördü, ama içeri girmedi.

20:5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

20:6 Then comes Simon Peter following him, and went into the tomb, and sees the linen clothes lie,

20:7 And the cloth, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

20:8 O zaman mezara ilk varan öteki ögrenci de içeri girdi. Olanlari gördü ve iman etti.

20:8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the tomb, and he saw, and believed.

20:9 Isanin ölümden dirilmesi gerektigini belirten Kutsal Yaziyi henüz anlamamislardi.

20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

20:10 Bundan sonra ögrenciler yine evlerine döndüler.

20:10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

20:11 Meryem ise mezarin disinda durmus agliyordu. Aglarken egilip mezarin içine bakti.

20:11 But Mary stood without at the tomb weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the tomb,

20:12 Beyazlara bürünmüs iki melek gördü; biri Isanin cesedinin yattigi yerin basucunda, öteki ayakucunda oturuyordu.

20:12 And sees two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

20:13 Meryeme, ‹‹Kadin, niçin agliyorsun?›› diye sordular. Meryem, ‹‹Rabbimi almislar›› dedi. ‹‹Onu nereye koyduklarini bilmiyorum.››

20:13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weep you? She says unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.

20:14 Bunlari söyledikten sonra arkasina döndü, Isanin orada, ayakta durdugunu gördü. Ama Onun Isa oldugunu anlamadi.

20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

20:15 Isa, ‹‹Kadin, niçin agliyorsun?›› dedi. ‹‹Kimi ariyorsun?›› Meryem Onu bahçivan sanarak, ‹‹Efendim›› dedi, ‹‹Eger Onu sen götürdünse, nereye koydugunu söyle de gidip Onu alayim.››

20:15 Jesus says unto her, Woman, why weep you? whom seek you? She, supposing him to be the gardener, says unto him, Sir, if you have borne him behind, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.

20:16 Isa ona, ‹‹Meryem!›› dedi. O da döndü, Isaya Ibranice, ‹‹Rabbuni!›› dedi. Rabbuni, ögretmenim demektir.

20:16 Jesus says unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and says unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

20:17 Isa, ‹‹Bana dokunma!›› dedi. ‹‹Çünkü daha Babanin yanina çikmadim. Kardeslerime git ve onlara söyle, benim Babamin ve sizin Babanizin, benim Tanrimin ve sizin Tanrinizin yanina çikiyorum.››

20:17 Jesus says unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

20:18 Mecdelli Meryem ögrencilerin yanina gitti. Onlara, ‹‹Rabbi gördüm!›› dedi. Sonra Rabbin kendisine söylediklerini onlara anlatti.

20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

20:19 Haftanin o ilk günü aksam olunca, ögrencilerin Yahudi yetkililerden korkusu nedeniyle bulunduklari yerin kapilari kapaliyken Isa geldi, ortalarinda durup, ‹‹Size esenlik olsun!›› dedi.

20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and says unto them, Peace be unto you.

20:20 And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.

20:21 Isa yine onlara, ‹‹Size esenlik olsun!›› dedi.

20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.

20:22 Bunu söyledikten sonra onlarin üzerine üfleyerek, ‹‹Kutsal Ruhu alin!›› dedi.

20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and says unto them, Receive all of you the Holy Spirit: (o. pneuma)

20:23 ‹‹Kimin günahlarini bagislarsaniz, bagislanmis olur; kimin günahlarini bagislamazsaniz, bagislanmamis kalir.››

20:23 Whomsoever sins all of you remit, they are remitted unto them; and whomsoever sins all of you retain, they are retained.

20:24 Onikilerden biri, ‹‹Ikiz›› diye anilan Tomas, Isa geldiginde onlarla birlikte degildi.

20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

20:25 Öbür ögrenciler ona, ‹‹Biz Rabbi gördük!›› dediler. Tomas ise, ‹‹Onun ellerinde çivilerin izini görmedikçe, çivilerin izine parmagimla dokunmadikça ve elimi bögrüne sokmadikça inanmam›› dedi.

20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

20:26 Sekiz gün sonra Isanin ögrencileri yine evdeydiler. Tomas da onlarla birlikteydi. Kapilar kapaliyken Isa gelip ortalarinda durdu, ‹‹Size esenlik olsun!›› dedi.

20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

20:27 Sonra Tomasa, ‹‹Parmagini uzat›› dedi, ‹‹Ellerime bak, elini uzat, bögrüme koy. Imansiz olma, imanli ol!››

20:27 Then says he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

20:28 Tomas Ona, ‹‹Rabbim ve Tanrim!›› diye yanitladi.

20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

20:29 Jesus says unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

20:30 Isa, ögrencilerinin önünde, bu kitapta yazili olmayan baska birçok dogaüstü belirti gerçeklestirdi.

20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

20:31 Ne var ki yazilanlar, Isa'nin, Tanri'nin Oglu Mesih olduguna iman edesiniz ve iman ederek O'nun adiyla yasama kavusasiniz diye yazilmistir.

20:31 But these are written, that all of you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing all of you might have life through his name.

 John

21:1 After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and likewise showed he himself.

21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

21:3 Simun Petrus ötekilere, ‹‹Ben balik tutmaya gidiyorum›› dedi. Onlar, ‹‹Biz de seninle geliyoruz›› dediler. Disari çikip tekneye bindiler. Ama o gece bir sey tutamadilar.

21:3 Simon Peter says unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with you. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

21:4 Sabah olurken Isa kiyida duruyordu.

21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

21:5 Isa, ‹‹Çocuklar, baliginiz yok mu?›› diye sordu. ‹‹Yok›› dediler.

21:5 Then Jesus says unto them, Children, have all of you any food? They answered him, No.

21:6 Isa, ‹‹Agi teknenin sag yanina atin, tutarsiniz›› dedi.

21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and all of you shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

21:7 Isanin sevdigi ögrenci, Petrusa, ‹‹Bu Rabdir!›› dedi. Simun Petrus Onun Rab oldugunu isitince üzerinden çikarmis oldugu üstlügü giyip göle atladi.

21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved says unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

21:8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

21:9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

21:10 Isa onlara, ‹‹Simdi tuttugunuz baliklardan getirin›› dedi.

21:10 Jesus says unto them, Bring of the fish which all of you have now caught.

21:11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

21:12 Isa onlara, ‹‹Gelin, yemek yiyin›› dedi. Ögrencilerden hiçbiri Ona, ‹‹Sen kimsin?›› diye sormaya cesaret edemedi. Çünkü Onun Rab oldugunu biliyorlardi.

21:12 Jesus says unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the Lord.

21:13 Isa gidip ekmegi aldi, onlara verdi. Ayni sekilde baliklari da verdi.

21:13 Jesus then comes, and takes bread, and gives them, and fish likewise.

21:14 This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me more than these? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my lambs.

21:16 Ikinci kez yine ona, ‹‹Yuhanna oglu Simun, beni seviyor musun?›› diye sordu.

21:16 He says to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my sheep.

21:17 Üçüncü kez ona, ‹‹Yuhanna oglu Simun, beni seviyor musun?›› diye sordu. Petrus kendisine üçüncü kez, ‹‹Beni seviyor musun?›› diye sormasina üzüldü. ‹‹Ya Rab, sen her seyi bilirsin, seni sevdigimi de bilirsin›› dedi. Isa ona, ‹‹Koyunlarimi otlat›› dedi.

21:17 He says unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Love you me? And he said unto him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus says unto him, Feed my sheep.

21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto you, When you were young, you gird yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry you where you would not.

21:19 This spoke he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he says unto him, Follow me.

21:20 Petrus arkasina döndü, Isanin sevdigi ögrencinin kendilerini izledigini gördü. Bu ögrenci, aksam yemeginde Isanin gögsüne yaslanan ve, ‹‹Ya Rab, sana kim ihanet edecek?›› diye soran ögrencidir.

21:20 Then Peter, turning about, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrays you?

21:21 Peter seeing him says to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

21:22 Isa, ‹‹Ben gelinceye dek onun yasamasini istiyorsam, bundan sana ne?›› dedi. ‹‹Sen ardimdan gel!››

21:22 Jesus says unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? follow you me.

21:23 Then went this saying (o. logos) abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you?

21:24 Bütün bunlara taniklik eden ve bunlari yazan ögrenci budur. Onun tanikliginin dogru oldugunu biliyoruz.

21:24 This is the disciple which testifies of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

Bunlar tek tek yazilsaydi, sanirim yazilan kitaplar dünyaya sigmazdi.

21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
