21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

21:1 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeán vieáng Sa-ra, theo nhö lôøi Ngaøi ñaõ phaùn, vaø laøm cho naøng nhö lôøi Ngaøi ñaõ noùi.

21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

21:2 Sa-ra thoï thai, sanh moät con trai cho Aùp-ra-ham trong khi tuoåi ñaõ giaø, ñuùng kyø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñònh.

21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

21:3 Aùp-ra-ham ñaët teân ñöùa trai maø Sa-ra ñaõ sanh cho mình laø Y-saùc.

21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

21:4 Ñuùng taùm ngaøy, Aùp-ra-ham laøm pheùp caét bì cho Y-saùc theo nhö lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ phaùn daën.

21:5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

21:5 Vaû, khi Y-saùc ra ñôøi, thì Aùp-ra-ham ñaõ ñöôïc moät traêm tuoåi.

21:6 And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

21:6 Sa-ra noùi raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laøm cho toâi moät vieäc vui cöôøi; heát thaûy ai hay ñöôïc cuõng seõ vui cöôøi veà söï cuûa toâi.

21:7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

21:7 Laïi noùi raèng: Haù ai daùm noùi vôùi Aùp-ra-ham raèng Sa-ra seõ cho con buù ö? vì toâi ñaõ sanh moät ñöùa trai trong luùc ngöôøi giaø yeáu roài.

21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

21:8 Ñöùa treû lôùn leân, thì thoâi buù. Chaùnh ngaøy Y-saùc thoâi buù, Aùp-ra-ham baøy moät tieäc lôùn aên möøng.

21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

21:9 Sa-ra thaáy ñöùa trai cuûa A-ga, ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ, ñaõ sanh cho Aùp-ra-ham, cöôøi côït,

21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

21:10 thì ngöôøi noùi vôùi Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Haõy ñuoåi con ñoøi vôùi con noù ñi ñi, vì ñöùa trai cuûa con ñoøi naày seõ chaúng ñöôïc keá nghieäp cuøng con trai toâi laø Y-saùc ñaâu.

21:11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

21:11 Lôøi naày laáy laøm buoàn loøng Aùp-ra-ham laém, vì côù con trai mình.

21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in your sight because of the lad, and because of your bondwoman; in all that Sarah has said unto you, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall your seed be called.

21:12 Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn cuøng Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Ngöôi chôù buoàn böïc vì con trai vaø con ñoøi ngöôi. Sa-ra noùi theå naøo, haõy nghe theo tieáng ngöôøi noùi; vì do nôi Y-saùc seõ sanh ra doøng doõi löu danh ngöôi.

21:13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is your seed.

21:13 Ta cuõng seõ laøm cho ñöùa trai cuûa con ñoøi trôû neân moät daân, vì noù cuõng do moät nôi ngöôi maø ra.

21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

21:15 Khi nöôùc trong baàu ñaõ heát, naøng ñeå ñöùa treû döôùi moät coäi caây nhoû kia,

21:16 And she went, and sat her down opposite to him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat opposite to him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

21:16 ñi ngoài ñoái dieän caùch xa xa daøi chöøng moät khoaûng teân baén; vì noùi raèng: Oâi! toâi nôõ naøo thaáy ñöùa treû phaûi cheát! Naøng ngoài ñoái dieän ñoù, caát tieáng la khoùc.

21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What disturbs you, Hagar? fear not; for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

21:17 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi nghe tieáng ñöùa treû khoùc, thì thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi töø treân trôøi keâu naøng A-ga maø phaùn raèng: Hôõi A-ga! Ngöôi coù ñieàu gì vaäy? Chôù sôï chi, vì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ nghe tieáng ñöùa treû ôû ñaâu ñoù roài.

21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in yours hand; for I will make him a great nation.

21:18 Haõy ñöùng daäy ñôõ laáy ñöùa treû vaø giô tay naém noù, vì ta seõ laøm cho noù neân moät daân lôùn.

21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

21:19 Ñoaïn, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi môû maét naøng ra; naøng beøn thaáy moät caùi gieáng nöôùc, vaø ñi laïi muùc ñaày baàu cho ñöùa treû uoáng.

21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21:20 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vuøa giuùp ñöùa treû; noù lôùn leân, ôû trong ñoàng vaéng, coù taøi baén cung.

21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

21:21 Noù ôû taïi trong ñoàng vaéng Pha-ran; meï cöôùi cho noù moät ngöôøi vôï queâ ôû xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

21:22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spoke unto Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do:

21:22 Veà thuôû ñoù, vua A-bi-meâ-leùc vaø Phi-coân, quan toång binh mình, noùi cuøng Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vuøa giuùp ngöôi trong moïi vieäc ngöôi laøm.

21:23 Now therefore swear unto me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto you, you shall do unto me, and to the land wherein you have sojourned.

21:23 Vaäy baây giôø, haõy chæ danh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø theà raèng: Ngöôi seõ chaúng gaït ta, con ta cuøng doøng gioáng ta. Nhöng ngöôi seõ ñaõi ta vaø xöù ngöôi ñöông truù nguï, moät loøng töû teá nhö ta ñaõ ñaõi ngöôi vaäy.

21:24 And Abraham said, I will swear.

21:24 Aùp-ra-ham ñaùp raèng: Toâi xin theà.

21:25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

21:25 Aùp-ra-ham phaøn naøn cuøng vua A-bi-meâ-leùc veà vuï moät gieáng kia bò ñaày tôù ngöôøi chieám ñoaït.

21:26 And Abimelech said, I know not who has done this thing; neither did you tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

21:26 Vua A-bi-meâ-leùc beøn noùi raèng: Ta chaúng hay ai ñaõ laøm neân noâng noåi ñoù; chính ngöôi chaúng cho ta hay tröôùc; ngaøy nay ta môùi roõ ñaây maø thoâi.

21:27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

21:27 Ñoaïn, Aùp-ra-ham baét chieân vaø boø, daâng cho vua A-bi-meâ-leùc; roài hai ngöôøi keát öôùc cuøng nhau.

21:28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

21:28 Aùp-ra-ham löïa ñeå rieâng ra baûy con chieân tô trong baày;

21:29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves?

21:29 thì vua A-bi-meâ-leùc hoûi raèng: Laøm chi ñeå baûy con chieân tô ñoù rieâng ra vaäy?

21:30 And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shall you take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have dug this well.

21:30 Ñaùp raèng: Xin vua haõy nhaän laáy baûy con chieân tô naày maø chaùnh tay toâi daâng cho, ñaëng laøm chöùng raèng toâi ñaõ ñaøo caùi gieáng naày.

21:31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they swore both of them.

21:31 Bôûi côù aáy, neân hoï ñaët teân choã naày laø Beâ -e-Seâ-ba; vì taïi ñoù hai ngöôøi ñeàu ñaõ theà nguyeän cuøng nhau.

21:32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

21:32 Vaäy, hai ngöôøi keát öôùc cuøng nhau taïi Beâ -e-Seâ-ba. Ñoaïn vua A-bi-meâ-leùc cuøng quan toång binh Phi-coân ñöùng daäy, trôû veà xöù Phi-li-tin.

22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

22:1 Khi moïi vieäc kia ñaõ xong, thì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi thöû Aùp-ra-ham; Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Hôõi Aùp-ra-ham! Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Coù toâi ñaây.

22:2 And he said, Take now your son, yours only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of.

22:2 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn raèng: Haõy baét ñöùa con moät ngöôi yeâu daáu, laø Y-saùc, vaø ñi ñeán xöù Moâ-ri -a, nôi ñoù daâng ñöùa con laøm cuûa leã thieâu ôû treân moät hoøn nuùi kia maø ta seõ chæ cho.

22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

22:3 Aùp-ra-ham daäy sôùm, thaéng löøa, ñem hai ñaày tôù vaø con mình, laø Y-saùc, cuøng ñi; ngöôøi cuõng chaët cuûi ñeå duøng veà cuûa leã thieâu, roài ñi ñeán nôi maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ truyeàn daïy.

22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place far off.

22:4 Qua ñeán ngaøy thöù ba, Aùp-ra-ham nhöôùng maét leân thaáy nôi ñoù ôû loái ñaèng xa,

22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide all of you here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

22:5 thì noùi cuøng hai keû ñaày tôù raèng: Haõy ôû laïi ñaây vôùi con löøa; ta cuøng ñöùa treû seõ ñi ñeán choán kia ñaëng thôø phöôïng, roài seõ trôû laïi vôùi hai ngöôi.

22:6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

22:6 Aùp-ra-ham laáy cuûi veà cuûa leã thieâu, chaát treân Y-saùc, con mình; roài ngöôøi caàm löûa vaø dao trong tay, vaø caû hai cha con ñoàng ñi.

22:7 And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

22:7 Y-saùc beøn noùi cuøng Aùp-ra-ham, cha mình raèng: Hôõi Cha! Ngöôøi ñaùp: Con ôi! cha ñaây. Y-saùc noùi: Cuûi ñaây, löûa ñaây, nhöng chieân con ñaây coù ñaëng laøm cuûa leã thieâu?

22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

22:8 Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Con ôi! chính Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ saém saün laáy chieân con ñaëng duøng laøm cuûa leã thieâu; roài caû hai cha con cöù ñoàng ñi.

22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

22:9 Hoï ñeán choán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ phaùn daïy; taïi ñoù, Aùp-ra-ham laäp baøn thôø, chaát cuûi leân, troùi Y-saùc con mình laïi, ñeå leân ñoáng cuûi treân baøn thôø.

22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

22:10 Aùp-ra-ham beøn giô tay ra caàm laáy dao ñaëng gieát con mình.

22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

22:11 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va töø treân trôøi keâu xuoáng maø raèng: Hôõi Aùp-ra-ham, Aùp-ra-ham! Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Coù toâi ñaây.

22:12 And he said, Lay not yours hand upon the lad, neither do you any thing unto him: for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, yours only son from me.

22:12 Thieân söù phaùn raèng: Ñöøng tra tay vaøo mình con treû vaø chôù laøm chi haïi ñeán noù; vì baây giôø ta bieát raèng ngöôi thaät kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, bôûi côù khoâng tieác vôùi ta con ngöôi, töùc con moät ngöôi.

22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the position of his son.

22:13 Aùp-ra-ham nhöôùng maét leân, xem thaáy sau löng moät con chieân ñöïc, söøng maéc trong buïi caây, beøn baét con chieân ñöïc ñoù daâng laøm cuûa leã thieâu thay cho con mình.

22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

22:14 Aùp-ra-ham goïi choã ñoù laø Gieâ-hoâ-va Di-reâ. Bôûi côù aáy, ngaøy nay coù tuïc ngöõ raèng: Treân nuùi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ coù saém saün.

22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, says the LORD, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, yours only son:

22:16 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Vì ngöôi ñaõ laøm ñieàu ñoù, khoâng tieác con ngöôi, töùc con moät ngöôi, thì ta laáy chaùnh mình ta maø theà raèng:

22:17 That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

22:17 seõ ban phöôùc cho ngöôi, theâm doøng doõi ngöôi nhieàu nhö sao treân trôøi, ñoâng nhö caùt bôø bieån, vaø doøng doõi ñoù seõ chieám ñöôïc cöûa thaønh quaân nghòch.

26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

26:1 Tröø côn ñoùi keùm thöù nhöùt trong ñôøi Aùp-ra-ham, baáy giôø taïi xöù laïi coù moät laàn nöõa. Y-saùc beøn ñi ñeán A-bi-meâ-leùc, vua Phi-li-tin, taïi Gheâ-ra.

26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell you of:

26:2 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hieän ñeán cuøng ngöôøi vaø phaùn raèng: Chôù xuoáng xöù EÂ-díp-toâ; haõy ôû laïi xöù maø ta seõ chæ cho.

26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for unto you, and unto your seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham your father;

26:3 Haõy nguï trong xöù naày, ta seõ ôû cuøng ngöôi vaø ban phöôùc cho ngöôi; vì ta seõ cho ngöôi cuøng doøng doõi ngöôi caùc xöù naày vaø ta seõ laøm thaønh lôøi ta ñaõ theà cuøng Aùp-ra-ham, cha ngöôi.

26:4 And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

26:5 vì Aùp-ra-ham ñaõ vaâng lôøi ta vaø ñaõ giöõ ñieàu ta phaùn daïy, lònh, luaät vaø leä cuûa ta.

26:6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:

26:6 Vaäy, Y-saùc ôû taïi Gheâ-ra.

26:7 And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

26:7 Bôûi naøng Reâ-be-ca saéc-saûo dung nhan, neân khi daân xöù ñoù hoûi thaêm vôï ngöôøi, thì ngöôøi ñaùp raèng: "Aáy laø em gaùi toâi," e khi noùi: "Aáy laø vôï toâi," thì hoï seõ gieát mình chaêng.

26:9 beøn ñoøi Y-saùc maø raèng: Quaû thaät laø vôï ngöôi ñoù; sao coù noùi: Aáy laø em gaùi toâi? Y-saùc ñaùp raèng: Vì toâi coù thaàm noùi: Chôù khaù vì naøng maø toâi phaûi boû mình.

26:10 And Abimelech said, What is this you have done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with your wife, and you should have brought guiltiness upon us.

26:10 A-bi-meâ-leùc hoûi: Ngöôi laøm chi cho chuùng ta vaäy? Ngoä coù moät ngöôøi daân ñeán naèm cuøng vôï ngöôi, ngöôi laøm cho chuùng ta phaûi phaïm toäi!

26:11 And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

26:11 A-bi-meâ-leùc beøn truyeàn lònh cho caû daân chuùng raèng: Keû naøo ñoäng ñeán ngöôøi naày, hay laø vôï ngöôøi naày, thì seõ bò xöû töû.

26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

26:17 Vaäy, Y-saùc boû choán naày ñi ñeán ñoùng traïi taïi truõng Gheâ-ra vaø ôû ñoù.

26:18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

26:18 Y-saùc beøn ñaøo laïi maáy caùi gieáng ngöôøi ta ñaõ ñaøo trong ñôøi Aùp-ra-ham, cha mình, maø bò daân Phi-li-tin laáp ñaát laïi khi Aùp-ra-ham qua ñôøi, vaø ñaët teân maáy gieáng ñoù nhö teân cuûa cha mình ñaõ ñaët.

26:20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

26:20 Nhöng boïn chaên chieân Gheâ-ra tranh giaønh cuøng boïn chaên chieân cuûa Y-saùc, maø raèng: Ngöôøi ñoù cuûa chuùng ta; neân ngöôøi ñaët teân gieáng naày laø EÂ-seùt. Vì boïn chaên chieân ñoù coù tranh giaønh cuøng mình.

26:22 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi boû choã ñoù ñi ñaøo moät gieáng khaùc; veà gieáng naày, hoï khoâng tranh giaønh nhau, neân ngöôøi ñaët teân laø Reâ-hoâ-boát, maø raèng: Baây giôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñeå cho chuùng ta ñöôïc roäng raõi, vaø ta seõ ñaëng thònh vöôïng trong xöù.

26:23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba.

26:23 Y-saùc ôû ñoù ñi, dôøi leân Beâ -e-Seâ-ba.

26:24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham your father: fear not, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your seed for my servant Abraham's sake.

26:24 Ñeâm ñoù Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hieän ñeán cuøng ngöôøi vaø phaùn raèng: Ta laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Aùp-ra-ham, cha ngöôi; chôù sôï chi, ta ôû cuøng ngöôi, seõ ban phöôùc cho vaø theâm doøng doõi ngöôi, vì côù Aùp-ra-ham laø toâi tôù ta.

26:25 And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants dug a well.

30:37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and stripped white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

30:37 Ñoaïn, Gia-coáp laáy nhaønh baïch döông, nhaønh boà ñaøo vaø nhaønh baù-tieân töôi, loät voû ñeå baøy laèn da traéng ôû trong ra.

30:38 And he set the rods which he had stripped before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

30:40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped with bands, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

30:40 Gia-coáp ñeå rieâng chieân con ra, roài ñeå chieân caùi trong baày cuûa La-ban tröôùc maët caùc con coù soïc vaø coù saéc ñen; nhöng baày mình thì rieâng ra, khoâng ñeå gaàn baày cuûa La-ban.

30:42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

31:1 And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob has taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's has he got all this glory.

31:17 Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels;

31:17 Gia-coáp beøn ñöùng daäy, ñôõ vôï vaø con leân löng laïc ñaø,

31:22 And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.

31:22 Ñeán ngaøy thöù ba, ngöôøi ta hoïc laïi cuøng La-ban raèng Gia-coáp ñaõ troán ñi roài.

31:23 And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.

31:25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.

31:25 Vaäy, La-ban theo kòp Gia-coáp. Vaû, Gia-coáp ñöông ñoùng traïi treân nuùi; La-ban vaø caùc anh em ngöôøi cuõng ñoùng traïi treân nuùi Ga-la-aùt.

31:26 And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done, that you have stolen away unexpectedly to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?

31:26 La-ban noùi cuøng Gia-coáp raèng: Chaùu ñaõ laøm chi vaäy? Chaùu ñaõ gaït caäu vaø daãn maáy ñöùa gaùi caäu nhö phu tuø giaëc.

31:27 Wherefore did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and did not tell me, that I might have sent you away with delight, and with songs, with timbrel, and with harp?

31:27 Sao troán nheïm, gaït vaø khoâng cho caäu hay tröôùc? Coù leõ caäu ñöa ñi raát vui veû, tieáng haùt, tieáng ñôøn vaø tieáng troáng phuï ñöa.

31:28 And have not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? you have now done foolishly in so doing.

31:28 Chaùu laøm caùch daïi doät vaäy, khoâng ñeå cho caäu hoân con trai vaø con gaùi caäu.

31:29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spoke unto me last night, saying, Take you heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

31:29 Tay caäu coù ñuû quyeàn laøm haïi chaùu; nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa cha chaùu ñaõ maùch baûo cuøng caäu toái hoâm qua raèng: Daàu laønh daàu döõ, ngöôi khaù giöõ mình ñöøng noùi chi cuøng Gia-coáp heát.

31:30 And now, though you would essentially be gone, because you sore longed after your father's house, yet wherefore have you stolen my gods?

31:30 Baây giôø, vì loøng chaùu mong moûi veà nhaø cha chaùu, neân ñaõ ra ñi; nhöng côù sao chaùu laïi aên caép caùc pho töôïng caäu?

31:31 And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Possibly you would take by force your daughters from me.

31:31 Gia-coáp ñaùp raèng: Vì côù toâi e caäu baét hai ngöôøi con gaùi laïi chaêng.

31:32 With whomsoever you find your gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern you what is yours with me, and take it to you. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

31:32 Nhöng tìm nôi ai ñöôïc caùc pho töôïng cuûa caäu, thì ai ñoù seõ bò cheát ñi! Taïi tröôùc maët caùc anh em chuùng ta, caäu haõy kieåm soaùt caùc moùn nôi toâi ñi, vaø haõy laáy vaät chi thuoäc veà caäu. Vaû, Gia-coáp voán khoâng hay raèng Ra-cheân ñaõ troäm maáy pho töôïng ñoù.

31:33 And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent.

31:33 Vaäy, La-ban vaøo traïi Gia-coáp, traïi Leâ -a, traïi hai ngöôøi ñoøi, chaúng tìm ñöôïc chi caû. Ñoaïn, ôû traïi Leâ -a böôùc ra ñi vaøo traïi Ra-cheân.

31:34 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.

31:34 Vaû, Ra-cheân coù laáy maáy pho töôïng ñoù, giaáu döôùi baønh laïc ñaø, roài ngoài leân treân. La-ban soaùt luïc khaép traïi chaúng gaëp pho töôïng.

31:35 And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before you; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched but found not the images.

31:35 Naøng beøn thöa cuøng cha raèng: Vì trong mình con coù vieäc rieâng cuûa ñôøn baø, neân ñöùng daäy röôùc chaúng ñöôïc; xin chuùa chôù giaän con chi heát. Ngöôøi kieám, nhöng chaúng thaáy pho töôïng ñaâu heát.

31:36 And Jacob was angry, and find fault with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued after me?

31:36 Gia-coáp beøn noåi giaän raày loän cuøng La-ban, maø raèng: Toâi coù aùn gì, toäi gì, maø caäu haèm haèm ñuoåi theo nhö vaäy!

31:37 Whereas you have searched all my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us both.

31:37 Caäu ñaõ soaùt luïc caùc ñoà haønh lyù toâi, coù kieám ñöôïc moùn chi thuoäc veà nhaø caäu chaêng? Haõy ñem moùn ñoù ra tröôùc maët anh em toâi cuøng anh em caäu, ñaëng hoï xeùt ñoaùn ñoâi ta.

31:38 This twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of your flock have I not eaten.

31:38 Kìa, ñaõ hai möôi naêm toâi aên ôû nôi nhaø caäu, chieân cuøng deâ caäu naøo coù saûo thai, vaø toâi chaúng heà aên thòt chieân ñöïc cuûa baày caäu bao giôø;

31:41 Thus have I been twenty years in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your cattle: and you have changed my wages ten times.

31:42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely you had sent me away now empty. God has seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked you last night.

31:42 Neáu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa cha toâi, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Aùp-ra-ham, laø Ñaáng maø Y-saùc kính sôï, khoâng phuø hoä toâi, chaéc baây giôø caäu ñuoåi toâi ra tay khoâng, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ xem thaáy noãi ñau-khoå toâi cuøng coâng vieäc hai tay toâi laøm, neân ñeâm qua Ngaøi ñaõ xeùt coâng bình roài ñoù.

31:43 And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that you see is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?

31:43 La-ban ñaùp cuøng Gia-coáp maø raèng: Caùc ñöùa gaùi naày laø con cuûa caäu; caùc ñöùa treû naày laø treû cuûa caäu; caùc baày suùc vaät töùc laø baày suùc vaät cuûa caäu, vaø caùc vaät chi chaùu thaáy ñöôïc töùc laø cuûa caäu heát; ngaøy nay caäu seõ laøm chi ñöôïc cuøng caùc con gaùi hai laø caùc chaùu caäu ñoù?

31:44 Now therefore come you, let us make a covenant, I and you; and let it be for a witness between me and you.

31:44 Vaäy baây giôø, heø! chuùng ta keát-öôùc cuøng nhau, ñeå duøng laøm chöùng cho caäu vaø chaùu.

31:45 And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.

31:45 Gia-coáp laáy moät hoøn ñaù, döïng ñöùng leân laøm truï;

31:47 And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.

31:47 La-ban ñaët treân ñoáng ñaù ñoù laø Y-eâ-ga Sa-ha-du-ta; coøn Gia-coáp keâu laø Ga-leùt.

31:48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and you this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;

31:49 And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.

31:49 Maø cuõng goïi laø Mích-ba, vì La-ban coù noùi theâm raèng: Khi chuùng ta phaân caùch nhau, caàu xin Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coi soùc caäu vaø chaùu.

31:50 If you shall afflict my daughters, or if you shall take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness between me and you.

31:50 Neáu chaùu haønh haï caùc con gaùi caäu, neáu cöôùi vôï khaùc nöõa, thì haõy giöõ mình! Chaúng phaûi ngöôøi thöôøng soi xeùt ta ñaâu, beøn laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laøm chöùng cho chuùng ta vaäy.

31:51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast between me and you:

31:52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and that you shall not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.

31:52 Ñoáng ñaù naày vaø caây truï naày laøm chöùng raèng caäu chaúng qua khoûi ñaây, ñi ñeán nôi chaùu, vaø chaùu cuõng chaúng vöôït khoûi ñaây, ñi ñeán nôi caäu, trong khi coù yù muoán laøm haïi nhau.

31:53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us. And Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.

31:53 Caàu xin Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Aùp-ra-ham, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Na-coâ, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa cha caùc ngöôøi ñoù ñoaùn xeùt cho chuùng ta! Gia-coáp chæ Ñaáng cuûa Y-saùc, cha mình, kính sôï maø theà.

31:54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.

31:54 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi daâng moät cuûa leã taïi treân nuùi, vaø môøi caùc anh em mình duøng baùnh. Vaäy, chuùng duøng baùnh, roài ôû ban ñeâm treân nuùi.

32:6 And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and also he comes to meet you, and four hundred men with him.

32:6 Caùc söù giaû trôû veà noùi cuøng Gia-coáp raèng: Chuùng toâi ñaõ ñi ñeán EÂ-sau, anh cuûa chuû; naày ngöôøi ñöông ñem boán traêm ngöôøi ñeán ñeå röôùc chuû.

32:7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;

32:9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which said unto me, Return unto your country, and to your kindred, and I will deal well with you:

32:9 Ñoaïn, Gia-coáp caàu raèng: Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï Aùp-ra-ham toâi! Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa cha Y-saùc toâi, töùc laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! Ngaøi coù phaùn daïy toâi raèng: Haõy trôû veà xöù ngöôi vaø nôi baø con ngöôi, roài ta seõ laøm ôn cho ngöôi!

32:10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which you have showed unto your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

32:10 Toâi laáy laøm heøn moïn khoâng ñaùng chòu caùc aân hueä vaø caùc ñieàu thaønh thöïc maø Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho keû toâi tôù Ngaøi; vì luùc tröôùc khi qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh chæ coù caây gaäy toâi, maø ngaøy nay toâi laïi trôû neân hai ñoäi quaân naày.

32:11 Deliver me, I pray you, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and strike me, and the mother with the children.

32:11 Vaäy, caàu xin Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi giaûi cöùu toâi khoûi tay EÂ-sau, anh toâi, vì e ngöôøi ñeán ñaùnh toâi vaø ñaùnh luoân meï vôùi con nöõa.

32:12 And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

32:12 Vaû, Ngaøi coù noùi raèng: Quaû thaät vaäy, ta seõ laøm ôn cho ngöôi, vaø laøm cho doøng doõi ngöôi ñoâng nhö caùt baõi bieån, ngöôøi ta seõ khoâng bieát sao ñeám ñöôïc, vì ñoâng ñuùc quaù.

32:13 And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;

32:13 Ngöôøi ôû ban ñeâm taïi ñoù, laáy caùc vaät coù hieän trong tay ñeå laøm moät cuûa leã daâng cho EÂ-sau, anh mình,

32:16 And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space between drove and drove.

32:16 Roài, giao moãi baày rieâng ra nôi tay ñaày tôù mình vaø daën raèng: Caùc ngöôi haõy ñi tröôùc ta vaø daãn baày naày caùch moät khoaûng ñeán baày kia.

32:17 And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meet you, and asks you, saying, Whose are you? and where go you? and whose are these before you?

32:17 Ngöôøi daën teân daãn baày ñi tröôùc heát nhö vaày: Khi EÂ-sau, sanh ta, gaëp vaø hoûi ngöôi raèng: Ngöôi ôû vôùi ai, ñi ñaâu, vaø baày suùc vaät tröôùc maët ngöôi ñoù thuoäc veà ai?

32:18 Then you shall say, They be your servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.

32:19 And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall all of you speak unto Esau, when all of you find him.

32:19 Gia-coáp cuõng daën y lôøi cho teân daãn baày thöù nhì, thöù ba vaø heát thaûy ngöôøi theo coi chöøng caùc baày, vaø laïi noùi: Khi gaëp EÂ-sau, caùc ngöôi haõy nhôù lôøi ñoù,

32:20 And say all of you moreover, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; possibly he will accept of me.

32:20 vaø noùi nhö vaày: Naày, Gia-coáp, keû toâi tôù chuùa, ñöông theo sau chuùng toâi. Vì ngöôøi thaàm nghó raèng: Mình ñem leã naày daâng tröôùc cho EÂ-sau nguoâi giaän ñaõ, roài mình seõ giaùp maët sau; coù leõ ngöôøi tieáp röôùc mình moät caùch thuaän hieäp ñoù.

32:21 So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.

32:21 Vaäy, leã naày ñem ñi tröôùc, coøn ngöôøi, ñeâm ñoù ôû laïi traïi.

32:22 And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.

32:22 Ban ñeâm, ngöôøi thöùc daäy, daãn hai vôï, hai teân ñoøi vaø möôøi moät ñöùa con mình ñi qua raïch Gia-boác.

32:23 Ngöôøi ñem hoï qua raïch, vaø heát thaûy cuûa caûi mình qua nöõa.

32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

32:26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me.

32:26 Ngöôøi ñoù beøn noùi: Trôøi ñaõ raïng ñoâng roài; thoâi ñeå cho ta ñi; nhöng Gia-coáp ñaùp raèng: Toâi chaúng cho ngöôøi ñi ñaâu, neáu ngöôøi khoâng ban phöôùc cho toâi.

32:27 And he said unto him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.

32:27 Ngöôøi ñoù hoûi: Teân ngöôi laø chi? Ñaùp raèng: Teân toâi laø Gia-coáp.

32:28 And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed.

32:28 Ngöôøi laïi noùi: Teân ngöôi seõ chaúng laøm Gia-coáp nöõa, nhöng teân laø Y-sô-ra-eân, vì ngöôi ñaõ coù vaät loän cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø ngöôøi ta; ngöôi ñeàu ñöôïc thaéng.

32:29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Wherefore is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

32:29 Gia-coáp hoûi: Xin cho toâi bieát teân ngöôøi. Ñaùp raèng: Laøm sao ngöôi hoûi teân ta? Roài ngöôøi naày ban phöôùc cho Gia-coáp taïi ñoù.

32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

32:30 Gia-coáp ñaët teân choã ñoù laø Pheâ-ni-eân, vaø noùi raèng: Toâi ñaõ thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñoái maët cuøng toâi vaø linh hoàn toâi ñöôïc giaûi cöùu.

32:31 And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.

32:31 Khi qua nôi Phi-ni-eân, thaáy maët trôøi moïc roài; vaø ngöôøi ñi gieïo caúng.

32:32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

32:32 Bôûi côù ñoù, cho ñeán ngaøy nay daân Y-sô-ra-eân chaúng bao giôø aên gaân baép veá cuûa loái xöông hoâng; vì ngöôøi ñoù coù ñaùnh vaøo xöông hoâng Gia-coáp, nôi gaân cuûa baép veá.

34:2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

34:2 Si-chem, con trai Heâ-moâ, ngöôøi Heâ-vít, hoaøng töû xöù ñoù, thaáy naøng, thì cöôùp ñi, naèm vôùi naøng vaø laøm ñieám nhuïc naøng.

34:5 And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.

34:5 Vaû, Gia-coáp hay ñöôïc raèng chaøng laøm hö danh giaù Ñi-na, con gaùi mình, nhöng caùc con trai mình maéc ôû ngoaøi ñoàng cuøng suùc vaät, neân ngöôøi laøm thinh ñeán khi hoï trôû veà.

34:7 And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very angry, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be done.

34:7 Caùc con trai Gia-coáp ôû ngoaøi ñoàng trôû veà, vöøa hay ñöôïc vieäc aáy, beøn noåi noùng vaø giaän laém, vì vieäc oâ danh maø Si-chem ñaõ xui cho hoï Y-sô-ra-eân, naèm cuøng con gaùi cuûa Gia-coáp, laø vieäc chaúng bao giôø neân laøm.
