1 Co rinh to - 1 Corinthians

1:1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

1:1 Phao-loâ, theo yù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, ñöôïc goïi laøm söù ñoà cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, cuøng Soát-then, anh em chuùng toâi,

1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

1:2 gôûi cho Hoäi thaùnh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi taïi thaønh Coâ-rinh-toâ, töùc laø cho nhöõng ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc neân thaùnh trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, ñöôïc goïi laøm thaùnh ñoà, laïi cho moïi ngöôøi baát luaän nôi naøo, caàu khaån danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ chuùng ta, laø Chuùa cuûa nhöõng ngöôøi aáy vaø cuûa chuùng ta:

1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:3 nguyeàn xin anh em ñöôïc aân ñieån vaø söï bình an ban cho bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, Cha chuùng ta, vaø bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ!

1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

1:4 Toâi haèng vì anh em taï ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, bôûi côù anh em ñaõ ñöôïc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ban ôn trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ;

1:5 That in every thing all of you are enriched by him, in all utterance, (o. logos) and in all knowledge;

1:5 vì chöng anh em ñaõ ñöôïc dö daät veà moïi ñieàu ban cho, caû lôøi noùi vaø söï hieåu bieát,

1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

1:6 nhö lôøi chöùng veà Ñaáng Christ ñaõ ñöôïc vöõng beàn giöõa anh em.

1:7 So that all of you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1:7 Anh em ñang troâng ñôïi kyø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ chuùng ta hieän ñeán, cuõng chaúng thieáu moät ôn naøo.

1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that all of you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1:8 Ngaøi seõ khieán anh em ñöôïc vöõng beàn ñeán cuoái cuøng, ñeå khoûi bò quôû traùch trong ngaøy cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ chuùng ta.

1:9 God is faithful, by whom all of you were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1:9 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø thaønh tín, Ngaøi ñaõ goïi anh em ñöôïc thoâng coâng vôùi Con Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, Chuùa chuùng ta.

1:10 Now I plead to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that all of you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1:10 Hôõi Anh em, toâi nhôn danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ chuùng ta, khuyeân anh em thaûy ñeàu phaûi ñoàng moät tieáng noùi vôùi nhau, chôù phaân reõ nhau ra, nhöng phaûi hieäp moät yù moät loøng cuøng nhau.

1:11 For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

1:11 Vì, hôõi anh em, bôûi ngöôøi nhaø Cô-loâ-eâ, toâi coù ñöôïc tin raèng trong anh em coù söï tranh caïnh.

1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1:12 Toâi coù yù noùi raèng trong anh em moãi ngöôøi noùi nhö vaày: Ta laø moân ñoà cuûa Phao-loâ; ta laø cuûa A-boâ-loâ, ta laø cuûa Seâ-pha, ta laø cuûa Ñaáng Christ.

1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were all of you baptized in the name of Paul?

1:13 Ñaáng Christ bò phaân reõ ra sao? Coù phaûi Phao-loâ ñaõ chòu ñoùng ñinh treân caây thaäp töï theá cho anh em, hay laø anh em ñaõ nhôn danh Phao-loâ maø chòu pheùp baùp tem sao?

1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

1:14 Toâi taï ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vì ngoaøi Cô-rít-bu vaø Gai-uùt, toâi chöa töøng laøm pheùp baùp tem cho ai trong anh em,

1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

1:15 haàu cho chaúng ai noùi raèng anh em ñaõ nhôn danh toâi maø chòu pheùp baùp tem.

1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

1:16 Toâi cuõng ñaõ laøm pheùp baùp tem cho ngöôøi nhaø Seâ-pha-na; ngoaøi nhaø ñoù, toâi chaúng bieát mình ñaõ laøm pheùp baùp tem cho ai nöõa.

1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, (o. logos) lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

1:17 Thaät vaäy, Ñaáng Christ ñaõ sai toâi, chaúng phaûi ñeå laøm pheùp baùp-tem ñaâu, nhöng ñeå rao giaûng Tin Laønh, vaø chaúng duøng söï khoân kheùo maø giaûng, keûo thaäp töï giaù cuûa Ñaáng Christ ra voâ ích.

1:18 For the preaching (o. logos) of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1:18 Bôûi vì lôøi giaûng veà thaäp töï giaù, thì nhöõng ngöôøi hö maát cho laø ñieân daïi; song veà phaàn chuùng ta, laø keû ñöôïc cöùu chuoäc, thì cho laø quyeàn pheùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

1:19 cuõng coù lôøi cheùp raèng: Ta seõ huûy phaù söï khoân ngoan cuûa ngöôøi khoân ngoan, Tieâu tröø söï thaïo bieát cuûa ngöôøi thaïo bieát.

1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1:20 Ngöôøi khoân ngoan ôû ñaâu? Thaày thoâng giaùo ôû ñaâu? Ngöôøi bieän luaän ñôøi nay ôû ñaâu? Coù phaûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ laøm cho söï khoân ngoan cuûa theá gian ra doà daïi khoâng?

1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1:21 Vì, taïi theá gian caäy söï khoân ngoan mình, chaúng nhôø söï khoân ngoan Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø nhaän bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, neân Ngaøi ñaønh loøng duøng söï giaûng doà daïi cuûa chuùng ta maø cöùu roãi nhöõng ngöôøi tin caäy.

1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

1:22 Vaû, ñöông khi ngöôøi Giu-ña ñoøi pheùp laï, ngöôøi Gôø-reùc tìm söï khoân ngoan,

1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1:23 thì chuùng ta giaûng Ñaáng Christ bò ñoùng ñinh treân caây thaäp töï, laø söï ngöôøi Giu-ña laáy laøm göông xaáu, daân ngoaïi cho laø doà daïi;

1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1:24 song le, veà nhöõng ngöôøi ñöôïc goïi, baát luaän ngöôøi Giu-ña hay ngöôøi Gôø-reùc, thì Ñaáng Christ laø quyeàn pheùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø söï khoân ngoan cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1:25 Bôûi vì söï doà daïi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø khoân saùng hôn ngöôøi ta, vaø söï yeáu ñuoái cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø maïnh hôn ngöôøi ta.

1:26 For all of you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1:26 Hôõi Anh em, haõy suy xeùt raèng ôû giöõa anh em laø keû ñaõ ñöôïc goïi, khoâng coù nhieàu ngöôøi khoân ngoan theo xaùc thòt, chaúng nhieàu keû quyeàn theá, chaúng nhieàu keû sang troïng.

1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1:27 Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ choïn nhöõng söï daïi ôû theá gian ñeå laøm hoå theïn nhöõng söï maïnh;

1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are:

1:28 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ choïn nhöõng söï heøn haï vaø khinh bæ ôû theá gian, cuøng nhöõng söï khoâng coù, haàu cho laøm nhöõng söï coù ra khoâng coù,

1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1:29 ñeå chaúng ai khoe mình tröôùc moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:30 But of him are all of you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1:30 Vaû, aáy laø nhôø Ngaøi maø anh em ôû trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, laø Ñaáng maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ laøm neân söï khoân ngoan, söï coâng bình, söï neân thaùnh, vaø söï cöùu chuoäc cho chuùng ta;

1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the Lord.

1:31 haàu cho, nhö coù lôøi cheùp raèng: Ai khoe mình, haõy khoe mình trong Chuùa.

2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech (o. logos) or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2:1 Hôõi Anh em, veà phaàn toâi, khi toâi ñeán cuøng anh em, chaúng duøng lôøi cao xa hay laø khoân saùng maø rao giaûng cho anh em bieát chöùng côù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2:2 Vì toâi ñaõ ñoaùn ñònh raèng ôû giöõa anh em, toâi chaúng bieát söï gì khaùc ngoaøi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ bò ñoùng ñinh treân caây thaäp töï.

2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

2:3 Chính toâi ñaõ ôû giöõa anh em, boä yeáu ñuoái, sôï haõi, run raåy laém.

2:4 And my speech (o. logos) and my preaching was not with enticing words (o. logos) of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit (o. pneuma) and of power:

2:4 Lôøi noùi vaø söï giaûng cuûa toâi chaúng phaûi baèng baøi dieãn thuyeát kheùo leùo cuûa söï khoân ngoan, nhöng taïi söï toû ra Thaùnh Linh vaø quyeàn pheùp;

2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2:5 haàu cho anh em chôù laäp ñöùc tin mình treân söï khoân ngoan loaøi ngöôøi, beøn laø treân quyeàn pheùp Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

2:6 Nevertheless we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:

2:6 Daàu vaäy, chuùng toâi giaûng söï khoân ngoan cho nhöõng keû troïn veïn, song chaúng phaûi söï khoân ngoan thuoäc veà ñôøi naày, cuõng khoâng phaûi cuûa caùc ngöôøi cai quaûn ñôøi naày, laø keû seõ bò hö maát.

2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2:7 Chuùng toâi giaûng söï khoân ngoan cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø söï maàu nhieäm kín giaáu, maø töø tröôùc caùc ñôøi, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñònh saün cho söï vinh hieån chuùng ta.

2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2:8 Trong nhöõng ngöôøi cai quaûn ñôøi naày chaúng ai töøng bieát söï ñoù; bôûi chöng, neáu ñaõ bieát thì hoï chaúng ñoùng ñinh Chuùa vinh hieån treân caây thaäp töï ñaâu.

2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

2:9 Song le, nhö coù cheùp raèng: Aáy laø söï maét chöa thaáy, tai chöa nghe, Vaø loøng ngöôøi chöa nghó ñeán, Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ saém saün ñieàu aáy cho nhöõng ngöôøi yeâu meán Ngaøi.

2:10 But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: (o. pneuma) for the Spirit (o. pneuma) searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.

2:10 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ duøng Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñeå baøy toû nhöõng söï ñoù cho chuùng ta, vì Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh doø xeùt moïi söï, caû ñeán söï saâu nhieäm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi nöõa.

2:11 For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit (o. pneuma) of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God.

2:11 Vaû, neáu khoâng phaûi laø thaàn linh trong loøng ngöôøi, thì ai bieát söï trong loøng ngöôøi? Cuõng moät leõ aáy, neáu khoâng phaûi laø Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì chaúng ai bieát söï trong Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit (o. pneuma) of the world, but the spirit (o. pneuma) which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

2:12 Veà phaàn chuùng ta, chuùng ta chaúng nhaän laáy thaàn theá gian, nhöng ñaõ nhaän laáy Thaùnh Linh töø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeán, haàu cho ñöôïc hieåu bieát nhöõng ôn maø chuùng ta nhaän laõnh bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi;

2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words (o. logos) which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

2:13 chuùng ta noùi veà ôn ñoù, khoâng caäy lôøi noùi maø söï khoân ngoan cuûa loaøi ngöôøi ñaõ daïy ñaâu, song caäy söï khoân ngoan maø Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñaõ daïy, duøng tieáng thieâng lieâng ñeå giaûi baøy söï thieâng lieâng.

2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2:14 Vaû, ngöôøi coù taùnh xaùc thòt khoâng nhaän ñöôïc nhöõng söï thuoäc veà Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; bôûi chöng ngöôøi ñoù coi söï aáy nhö laø söï doà daïi, vaø khoâng coù theå hieåu ñöôïc, vì phaûi xem xeùt caùch thieâng lieâng.

2:15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

2:15 Nhöng ngöôøi coù taùnh thieâng lieâng xöû ñoaùn moïi söï, vaø chính mình khoâng bò ai xöû ñoaùn.

2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

2:16 Vì ai ñaõ bieát yù Chuùa, ñaëng daïy doã Ngaøi? Nhöng phaàn chuùng ta, thì coù yù cuûa Ñaáng Christ.

3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

3:1 Hôõi anh em, veà phaàn toâi, toâi chaúng coù theå noùi vôùi anh em nhö vôùi ngöôøi thieâng lieâng, nhöng nhö vôùi ngöôøi xaùc thòt, nhö vôùi caùc con ñoû trong Ñaáng Christ vaäy.

3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with food: for until now all of you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are all of you able.

3:2 Toâi laáy söõa nuoâi anh em, chôù chaúng laáy ñoà aên cöùng, vì anh em khoâng chòu noåi; ñeán baây giôø cuõng chöa chòu ñöôïc, vì anh em haõy coøn thuoäc veà xaùc thòt.

3:3 For all of you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are all of you not carnal, and walk as men?

3:3 Thaät, bôûi trong anh em coù söï ghen gheùt vaø tranh caïnh, anh em haù chaúng phaûi laø taùnh xaùc thòt aên ôû nhö ngöôøi theá gian sao?

3:4 For while one says, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are all of you not carnal?

3:4 Coù ngöôøi thì noùi: Ta laø moân ñoà cuûa Phao-loâ; keû thì raèng: Ta laø cuûa A-boâ-loâ, vaäy anh em haù chaúng phaûi laø ngöôøi cuõng nhö keû khaùc sao?

3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom all of you believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

3:5 Theá thì, A-boâ-loâ laø ai, vaø Phao-loâ laø ai? Aáy laø keû toâi tôù, maø bôûi keû ñoù anh em ñaõ tin caäy, y theo Chuùa ñaõ ban cho moïi ngöôøi.

3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

3:6 Toâi ñaõ troàng, A-boâ-loâ ñaõ töôùi, nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ laøm cho lôùn leân.

3:7 So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.

3:7 Vaäy, ngöôøi troàng keû töôùi, ñeàu khoâng ra gì, song Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Ñaáng laøm cho lôùn leân.

3:8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

3:8 Ngöôøi troàng, keû töôùi, ñeàu baèng nhau; ai naáy seõ nhaän phaàn thöôûng tuøy theo vieäc mình ñaõ laøm.

3:9 For we are labourers together with God: all of you are God's farming, all of you are God's building.

3:9 Vaû, chuùng toâi laø baïn cuøng laøm vieäc vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; anh em laø ruoäng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caøy, nhaø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi xaây.

3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.

3:10 Theo ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ban cho toâi, toâi ñaõ laäp neân nhö moät tay thôï kheùo, maø coù keû khaùc caát leân treân; nhöng ai naáy phaûi caån thaän veà söï mình xaây treân neàn ñoù.

3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

3:11 Vì, chaúng ai coù theå laäp moät neàn khaùc ngoaøi neàn ñaõ laäp, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ.

3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

3:12 Neáu coù keû laáy vaøng, baïc, böûu thaïch, goã, coû khoâ, rôm raï maø xaây treân neàn aáy,

3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

3:13 thì coâng vieäc cuûa moãi ngöôøi seõ baøy toû ra. Ngaøy ñeán seõ toû töôøng coâng vieäc ñoù; noù seõ trình ra trong löûa, vaø coâng vieäc cuûa moãi ngöôøi ñaùng giaù naøo, löûa seõ chæ ra.

3:14 If any man's work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

3:14 Ví baèng coâng vieäc cuûa ai xaây treân neàn ñöôïc coøn laïi, thì thôï ñoù seõ laõnh phaàn thöôûng mình.

3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

3:15 Neáu coâng vieäc hoï bò thieâu huûy, thì maát phaàn thöôûng. Coøn veà phaàn ngöôøi ñoù, seõ ñöôïc cöùu, song döôøng nhö qua löûa vaäy.

3:16 Know all of you not that all of you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God dwells in you?

3:16 Anh em haù chaúng bieát mình laø ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø Thaùnh Linh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû trong anh em sao?

3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple all of you are.

3:17 Vì coù ai phaù huûy ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ phaù huûy hoï; vì ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø thaùnh, maø chính anh em laø ñeàn thôø.

3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

3:18 Chôù ai töï doái mình: neáu coù ai trong voøng anh em töôûng mình khoân ngoan theo caùch ñôøi naày, haõy trôû neân daïi doät, ñeå ñöôïc neân khoân ngoan;

3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.

3:19 vì söï khoân ngoan ñôøi naày tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø söï daïi doät. Nhö coù cheùp raèng: Aáy laø Chuùa baét nhöõng keû khoân ngoan trong möu keá hoï.

3:20 And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

3:20 Laïi raèng: Chuùa thoâng bieát yù töôûng cuûa ngöôøi khoân ngoan; Ngaøi bieát yù töôûng hoï ñeàu laø voâ ích.

3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

3:21 Vaäy, chôù ai khoe mình veà loaøi ngöôøi, vì moïi söï ñeàu thuoäc veà anh em:

3:23 And all of you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

4:1 Vaäy, ai naáy haõy coi chuùng toâi nhö ñaày tôù cuûa Ñaáng Christ, vaø keû quaûn trò nhöõng söï maàu nhieäm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

4:2 Vaû laïi, caùi ñieàu ngöôøi ta troâng mong nôi ngöôøi quaûn trò laø phaûi trung thaønh.

4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

4:3 Veà phaàn toâi, hoaëc bò anh em xöû ñoaùn, hoaëc bò toøa aùn naøo cuûa loaøi ngöôøi xöû ñoaùn, toâi cuõng chaúng laáy laøm quan heä gì. Chính toâi chaúng töï xöû ñoaùn mình nöõa;

4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judges me is the Lord.

4:4 vì toâi chaúng thaáy mình coù ñieàu gì ñaùng toäi, nhöng toâi cuõng khoâng nhôø söï ñoù maø ñöôïc xöng laø coâng bình: Ñaáng xöû ñoaùn toâi, aáy laø Chuùa.

4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

4:5 Vaäy, chôù xeùt ñoaùn sôùm quaù, haõy ñôïi Chuùa ñeán; chính Chuùa seõ toû nhöõng söï giaáu trong nôi toái ra nôi saùng, vaø baøy ra nhöõng söï toan ñònh trong loøng ngöôøi; baáy giôø, ai naáy seõ bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø laõnh söï khen ngôïi mình ñaùng laõnh.

4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that all of you might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

4:6 Hôõi anh em, aáy laø vì côù anh em, toâi ñaõ duøng nhöõng leõ thaät, naày chæ veà chính mình toâi vaø A-boâ-loâ, haàu cho anh em hoïc ñoøi hai chuùng toâi, chôù vöôït qua lôøi ñaõ cheùp, vaø chôù sanh loøng kieâu ngaïo, theo phe ngöôøi naày nghòch cuøng keû khaùc.

4:7 For who makes you to differ from another? and what have you that you did not receive? now if you did receive it, why do you glory, as if you had not received it?

4:7 Bôûi vì, ai phaân bieät ngöôi vôùi ngöôøi khaùc? Ngöôi haù coù ñieàu chi maø chaúng ñaõ nhaän laõnh sao? Neáu ngöôi ñaõ nhaän laõnh, thì sao coøn khoe mình nhö chaúng töøng nhaän laõnh?

4:8 Now all of you are full, now all of you are rich, all of you have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God all of you did reign, that we also might reign with you.

4:8 Anh em ñöôïc no ñuû, ñöôïc giaøu coù roài, chaúng nhôø chuùng toâi, anh em ñaõ khôûi söï cai trò; thaät mong cho anh em ñöôïc cai trò, haàu cho chuùng toâi cuõng cai trò vôùi anh em!

4:9 For I think that God has set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

4:9 Vì chöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi döôøng ñaõ phôi chuùng toâi laø caùc söù ñoà ra, gioáng nhö tuø phaûi toäi cheát, laøm troø cho theá gian, thieân söù, loaøi ngöôøi cuøng xem vaäy.

4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but all of you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but all of you are strong; all of you are honourable, but we are despised.

4:10 Chuùng toâi laø keû ngu daïi vì côù Ñaáng Christ, nhöng anh em ñöôïc khoân ngoan trong Ñaáng Christ; chuùng toâi yeáu ñuoái, anh em maïnh meõ; anh em quí troïng, chuùng toâi khinh heøn.

4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;

4:11 Cho ñeán baây giôø, chuùng toâi vaãn chòu ñoùi khaùt, traàn mình, bò ngöôøi ta vaû treân maët, löu laïc raøy ñaây mai ñoù.

4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

4:12 Chuùng toâi duøng chính tay mình laøm vieäc khoù nhoïc; khi bò ruûa saû, chuùng toâi chuùc phöôùc; khi bò baét bôù, chuùng toâi nhòn nhuïc;

4:13 Being defamed, we implore: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the waste of all things unto this day.

4:13 khi bò vu oan, chuùng toâi khuyeân doã; chuùng toâi gioáng nhö raùc reán cuûa theá gian, caën baû cuûa loaøi ngöôøi, cho ñeán ngaøy nay.

4:14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

4:14 Toâi vieát nhöõng ñieàu naày, chaúng phaûi ñeå laøm cho anh em hoå ngöôi ñaâu; nhöng ñeå khuyeân baûo anh em, cuõng nhö con caùi yeâu daáu cuûa toâi vaäy.

4:15 For though all of you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have all of you not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

4:15 Bôûi chöng, daãu anh em coù moät vaïn thaày giaùo trong Ñaáng Christ, nhöng chaúng coù nhieàu cha; vì toâi ñaõ duøng Tin Laønh maø sanh anh em ra trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ.

4:16 Wherefore I plead to you, be all of you followers of me.

4:16 Vaäy, toâi laáy ñieàu ñoù khuyeân anh em: haõy baét chöôùc toâi.

4:17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

4:17 Vì côù ñoù, toâi ñaõ sai Ti-moâ-theâ, laø con yeâu daáu cuûa toâi, cuøng laø trung thaønh trong Chuùa, ñeán cuøng anh em; ngöôøi seõ nhaéc laïi cho anh em bieát ñöôøng loái toâi trong Ñaáng Christ, vaø toâi daïy doã caùch naøo trong caùc Hoäi thaùnh khaép caùc nôi.

4:18 Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

4:18 Coù maáy keû leân mình kieâu ngaïo, ngôø toâi chaúng coøn ñeán cuøng anh em nöõa.

4:19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech (o. logos) of them which are puffed up, but the power.

4:19 Nhöng neáu Chuùa khöùng cho, thì chaúng bao laâu toâi seõ tôùi cuøng anh em, vaø xeùt cho bieát, chaúng phaûi xeùt lôøi noùi cuûa nhöõng keû kieâu ngaïo ñoù, beøn laø naêng löïc hoï theå naøo.

4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, (o. logos) but in power.

4:20 Vì nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chaúng ôû taïi lôøi noùi, maø ôû taïi naêng löïc.

4:21 What will all of you? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, (o. agape) and in the spirit (o. pneuma) of meekness?

4:21 Anh em muoán ñieàu gì hôn: muoán toâi caàm roi maø ñeán cuøng anh em, hay laø laáy tình yeâu thöông vaø yù nhu mì?

5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

5:1 Coù tin ñoàn ra khaép nôi raèng trong anh em coù söï daâm loaïn, daâm loaïn ñeán theá, daãu ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaïo cuõng chaúng coù gioáng nhö vaäy: laø ñeán noãi trong anh em coù keû laáy vôï cuûa cha mình.

5:2 And all of you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that has done this deed might be taken away from among you.

5:2 Anh em coøn leân mình kieâu ngaïo! Anh em chaúng töøng buoàn raàu, haàu cho keû phaïm toäi ñoù bò tröø boû khoûi voøng anh em thì hôn!

5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, (o. pneuma) have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that has so done this deed,

5:3 Veà phaàn toâi, thaân daàu xa caùch maø loøng ôû taïi ñoù, (vì anh em vaø loøng toâi ñöôïc hoäi hieäp vôùi quyeàn pheùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, laø Chuùa chuùng ta),

5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when all of you are gathered together, and my spirit, (o. pneuma) with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5:4 neân toâi ñaõ döôøng nhö coù maët ôû ñoù, nhôn danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Chuùa chuùng ta, tuyeân aùn keû phaïm toäi ñoù

5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit (o. pneuma) may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

5:5 raèng, moät ngöôøi nhö theá phaûi phoù cho quæ Sa tan, ñeå huûy hoaïi phaàn xaùc thòt, haàu cho linh hoàn ñöôïc cöùu trong ngaøy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.

5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know all of you not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

5:6 Thaät anh em chaúng coù côù maø khoe mình ñaâu! Anh em haù chaúng bieát raèng moät chuùt men laøm cho caû ñoáng boät daäy leân sao?

5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that all of you may be a new lump, as all of you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

5:7 Haõy laøm cho mình saïch men cuõ ñi, haàu cho anh em trôû neân boät nhoài môùi khoâng men, nhö anh em laø baùnh khoâng men vaäy. Vì Ñaáng Christ laø con sinh leã Vöôït Qua cuûa chuùng ta, ñaõ bò gieát roài.

5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

5:8 Vaäy thì, chuùng ta haõy giöõ leã, chôù duøng men cuõ, chôù duøng men gian aùc, ñoäc döõ, nhöng duøng baùnh khoâng men cuûa söï thaät thaø vaø cuûa leõ thaät.

5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

5:9 Trong thô toâi vieát cho anh em, coù daën ñöøng laøm baïn vôùi keû gian daâm,

5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortionists, or with idolaters; for then must all of you essentially go out of the world.

5:10 ñoù toâi chaúng coù yù noùi chung veà keû gian daâm ñôøi naày, hay laø keû tham lam, keû chaét boùp, keû thôø hình töôïng, vì neáu vaäy thì anh em phaûi lìa khoûi theá gian.

5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such an one no not to eat.

5:11 Nhöng toâi vieát khuyeân anh em ñöøng laøm baïn vôùi keû naøo töï xöng laø anh em, maø laø gian daâm, hoaëc tham lam, hoaëc thôø hình töôïng, hoaëc chöôûi ruûa, hoaëc say söa, hoaëc chaét boùp, cuõng khoâng neân aên chung vôùi ngöôøi theå aáy.

5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not all of you judge them that are within?

5:12 Vì chöng coù phaûi toâi neân ñoaùn xeùt keû ôû ngoaøi sao? Haù chaúng phaûi anh em neân ñoaùn xeùt nhöõng ngöôøi ôû trong sao?

5:13 But them that are without God judges. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

5:13 Coøn nhö keû ôû ngoaøi, thì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ ñoaùn xeùt hoï. Haõy tröø boû keû gian aùc khoûi anh em.

6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

6:1 Khi trong anh em ai coù söï nghòch cuøng ngöôøi khaùc, sao daùm ñeå cho keû khoâng coâng bình ñoaùn xeùt hôn laø cho caùc thaùnh ñoà?

6:2 Do all of you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are all of you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

6:2 Anh em haù chaúng bieát caùc thaùnh ñoà seõ xeùt ñoaùn theá gian sao? Ví baèng theá gian seõ bò anh em xeùt ñoaùn, thì anh em haù chaúng ñaùng xeùt ñoaùn vieäc nhoû moïn hôn sao?

6:3 Know all of you not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

6:3 Anh em chaúng bieát chuùng ta seõ xeùt ñoaùn caùc thieân söù sao? Huoáng chi vieäc ñôøi naày!

6:4 If then all of you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

6:4 Vaäy khi anh em coù söï nghòch cuøng nhau veà vieäc ñôøi naày, sao laáy nhöõng keû khoâng keå ra chi trong Hoäi thaùnh laøm ngöôøi xeùt ñoaùn!

6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

6:5 Toâi noùi theá laøm cho anh em hoå theïn. Aáy vaäy, trong voøng anh em chaúng coù moät keû khoân ngoan naøo phaân xöû ñöôïc giöõa anh em mình hay sao?

6:6 But brother goes to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

6:6 Nhöng anh em kieän anh em, laïi ñem ñeán tröôùc maët keû chaúng tin!

6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because all of you go to law one with another. Why do all of you not rather endure wrong? why do all of you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

6:7 Thaät vaäy, anh em coù söï kieän caùo nhau, laø phaûi toäi roài. Sao chaúng chòu söï traùi leõ laø hôn? Sao chaúng ñaønh söï gian laän laø hôn!

6:8 Nay, all of you do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

6:8 Nhöng chính anh em laøm ra söï traùi leõ, chính anh em gian laän, laïi laøm theå aáy cho ngöôøi anh em nöõa!

6:9 Know all of you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

6:9 Anh em haù chaúng bieát nhöõng keû khoâng coâng bình chaúng bao giôø höôûng ñöôïc nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi sao?

6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

6:10 Chôù töï doái mình: phaøm nhöõng keû taø daâm, keû thôø hình töôïng, keû ngoaïi tình, keû laøm giaùng yeåu ñieäu, keû ñaém nam saéc, keû troäm cöôùp, keû haø tieän, keû say söa, keû chöôûi ruûa, keû chaét boùp, ñeàu chaúng höôûng ñöôïc nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaâu.

6:11 And such were some of you: but all of you are washed, but all of you are sanctified, but all of you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of our God.

6:11 Tröôùc kia anh em ít nöõa cuõng coù moät ñoâi ngöôøi nhö theá; nhöng nhôn danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, vaø nhôø Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta, thì anh em ñöôïc röûa saïch, ñöôïc neân thaùnh, ñöôïc xöng coâng bình roài.

6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

6:12 Moïi söï toâi coù pheùp laøm, nhöng chaúng phaûi moïi söï ñeàu coù ích; moïi söï toâi coù pheùp laøm, nhöng chaúng ñeå söï gì baét phuïc ñöôïc toâi.

6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

6:13 Ñoà aên vì buïng, buïng vì ñoà aên, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ huûy hoaïi caùi noï vaø caùi kia. Nhöng thaân theå chaúng phaûi vì söï daâm duïc ñaâu, beøn laø vì Chuùa, vaø Chuùa vì thaân theå;

6:14 And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

6:14 vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Ñaáng ñaõ khieán Chuùa soáng laïi, cuõng seõ laáy quyeàn pheùp mình khieán chuùng ta soáng laïi nöõa.

6:15 Know all of you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

6:15 Anh em haù chaúng bieát thaân theå mình laø chi theå cuûa Ñaáng Christ sao? Vaäy thì mình coù neân laáy chi theå cuûa Ñaáng Christ maø laøm thaønh chi theå cuûa ñieám ñó chaêng? Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi naøo nôõ vaäy!

6:16 What? know all of you not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh.

6:16 Anh em haù chaúng bieát ngöôøi naøo keát hieäp vôùi ñieám ñó, thì trôû neân moät xaùc vôùi noù sao? Vì coù cheùp raèng: Hai ngöôøi seõ ñoàng neân moät thòt.

6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (o. pneuma)

6:17 Coøn ai keát hieäp vôùi Chuùa thì trôû neân moät taùnh thieâng lieâng cuøng Ngaøi.

6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

6:18 Haõy traùnh söï daâm duïc. Maëc daàu ngöôøi ta phaïm toäi gì, toäi aáy coøn laø ngoaøi thaân theå; nhöng keû buoâng mình vaøo söï daâm duïc, thì phaïm ñeán chính thaân theå mình.

6:19 What? know all of you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) which is in you, which all of you have of God, and all of you are not your own?

6:19 Anh em haù chaúng bieát raèng thaân theå mình laø ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñang ngöï trong anh em, laø Ñaáng maø anh em ñaõ nhaän bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø anh em chaúng phaûi thuoäc veà chính mình sao?

6:20 For all of you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, (o. pneuma) which are God's.

6:20 Vì chöng anh em ñaõ ñöôïc chuoäc baèng giaù cao roài. Vaäy, haõy laáy thaân theå mình laøm saùng danh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

7:1 Now concerning the things whereof all of you wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

7:1 Luaän ñeán caùc ñieàu hoûi trong thô anh em, toâi töôûng raèng ñôøn oâng khoâng ñuïng ñeán ñôøn baø laø hay hôn.

7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

7:2 Song, cho ñöôïc traùnh khoûi moïi söï daâm duïc, thì moãi ngöôøi ñôøn oâng phaûi coù vôï, moãi ngöôøi ñôøn baø phaûi coù choàng.

7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

7:3 Choàng phaûi laøm heát boån phaän ñoái vôùi vôï, vaø ñoái vôùi choàng cuõng vaäy.

7:4 The wife has not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband has not power of his own body, but the wife.

7:4 Vôï khoâng coù quyeàn töï chuû veà thaân mình, beøn laø choàng; choàng cuõng vaäy, khoâng coù quyeàn töï chuû veà thaân mình beøn laø vôï.

7:5 Defraud all of you not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that all of you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

7:5 Ñöøng töø choái nhau, tröø ra khi hai beân öng thuaän taïm thôøi, ñeå chuyeân vieäc caàu nguyeän; roài trôû laïi hieäp cuøng nhau, keûo quæ Sa-tan thöøa khi anh em khoâng thìn mình maø caùm doã chaêng.

7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

7:6 Aáy ñoù laø söï toâi thuaän cho pheùp, chôù chaúng phaûi söï toâi truyeàn bieåu.

7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

7:7 Toâi muoán moïi ngöôøi ñeàu ñöôïc gioáng nhö toâi; song moãi ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc ban rieâng cho mình bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, ngöôøi naày theå naày, keû kia theå khaùc.

7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

7:8 Vaäy, toâi noùi vôùi nhöõng keû chöa cöôùi gaû, vaø keû goùa buïa raèng ôû ñöôïc nhö toâi thì hôn.

7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

7:9 Song neáu hoï chaúng thìn mình ñöôïc, thì haõy cöôùi gaû; vì thaø cöôùi gaû coøn hôn ñeå cho löûa tình un ñoát.

7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

7:10 Veà nhöõng keû ñaõ cöôùi gaû roài, thì toâi, nhöng chaúng phaûi toâi, beøn laø Chuùa, truyeàn raèng vôï khoâng neân lìa boû choàng,

7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

7:11 (ví baèng ñaõ phaân reõ nhau, thì neân ôû vaäy ñöøng laáy choàng khaùc; hay laø phaûi laïi hoøa thuaän vôùi choàng mình), coøn choàng cuõng khoâng neân ñeå vôï.

7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother has a wife that believes not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

7:12 Ñeán nhö nhöõng keû khaùc, chaúng phaûi Chuùa, song laø chính toâi baûo hoï raèng: Neáu ngöôøi anh em naøo coù vôï ngoaïi ñaïo baèng loøng ôû ñôøi vôùi mình, thì khoâng neân ñeå boû.

7:13 And the woman which has an husband that believes not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

7:13 Laïi neáu moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø coù choàng ngoaïi ñaïo baèng loøng ôû ñôøi vôùi mình, thì vôï cuõng khoâng neân lìa choàng.

7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

7:14 Bôûi vì, choàng khoâng tin Chuùa, nhôn vôï mình ñöôïc neân thaùnh, vôï khoâng tin Chuùa, nhôn choàng mình tin Chuùa ñöôïc neân thaùnh; baèng chaúng vaäy, con caùi anh em neân chaúng saïch, song nay ñeàu laø thaùnh.

7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God has called us to peace.

7:15 Neáu keû khoâng tin Chuùa muoán phaân reõ, thì cho phaân reõ: trong côn ñoù, ngöôøi anh em hay laø ngöôøi chò em chaúng phaûi caàm buoäc gì. Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ goïi anh em aên ôû trong söï bình an.

7:16 For what know you, O wife, whether you shall save your husband? or how know you, O man, whether you shall save your wife?

7:16 Hôõi keû laøm vôï kia, bieát ñaâu ngöôi seõ cöùu ñöôïc choàng mình? Hôõi keû laøm choàng kia, bieát ñaâu ngöôi seõ cöùu ñöôïc vôï mình?

7:17 But as God has distributed to every man, as the Lord has called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

7:17 Roát laïi, ai naáy phaûi aên ôû theo ôn Chuùa ñaõ ban cho mình, vaø theo nhö Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ goïi. Aáy ñoù laø ñieàu toâi daïy trong heát thaûy caùc Hoäi thaùnh.

7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

7:18 Coù ngöôøi naøo ñaõ chòu pheùp caét bì roài ñöôïc goïi chaêng? neân cöù giöõ caét bì vaäy. Coù ngöôøi naøo chöa chòu pheùp caét bì maø ñöôïc goïi chaêng? thì chôù chòu pheùp caét bì.

7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

7:19 Chòu caét bì chaúng heà gì, khoâng chòu caét bì cuõng chaúng heà gì; söï quan heä laø giöõ caùc ñieàu raên cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

7:20 Ai naày khi ñöôïc goïi ôû ñaáng baäc naøo, thì phaûi cöù theo ñaáng baäc aáy.

7:21 Are you called being a servant? care not for it: but if you may be made free, use it rather.

7:21 Ngöôi ñöông laøm toâi moïi maø ñöôïc goïi chaêng? Chôù laáy laøm lo; song neáu ngöôi coù theå ñöôïc töï do, thì haõy nhôn dòp ñoù laø hôn.

7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

7:22 Vì keû toâi moïi ñöôïc Chuùa goïi, aáy laø keû Chuùa ñaõ buoâng tha; cuõng moät leõ aáy, ai ñöông töï do maø ñöôïc goïi, thì laøm toâi moïi cuûa Ñaáng Christ.

7:23 All of you are bought with a price; be not all of you the servants of men.

7:23 Anh em ñaõ ñöôïc chuoäc baèng giaù cao, chôù trôû neân toâi moïi cuûa ngöôøi ta laøm chi.

7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

7:24 Hôõi anh em, ai naày khi ñöôïc goïi ôû ñaáng baäc naøo, thì phaûi cöù ôû theo ñaáng baäc aáy tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that has obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

7:25 Veà nhöõng keû ñoàng thaân, toâi chaúng coù lôøi Chuùa truyeàn; song nhôø ôn thöông xoùt cuûa Chuùa, toâi ñöôïc laøm ngöôøi ñaùng tin, neân toâi ban lôøi khuyeân baûo.

7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

7:26 Vaäy toâi töôûng vì côù tai vaï haàu ñeán, moät ngöôøi nam cöù ôû vaäy laø neân.

7:27 Are you bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

7:27 Coù phaûi ngöôi ñaõ bò vaán vöông vôùi vôï chaêng? Chôù tìm caùch maø lìa mình ra. Coù phaûi ngöôi chöa bò vaán vöông vôùi vôï chaêng? Ñöøng kieám vôï.

7:28 But and if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she has not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

7:28 Nhöng neáu ngöôi laáy vôï, thì chaúng phaïm toäi gì; vaø neáu ngöôøi nöõ ñoàng trinh laáy choàng, thì cuõng chaúng phaïm toäi gì. Song nhöõng ngöôøi cöôùi gaû seõ coù söï khoù khaên veà xaùc thòt, vaø toâi muoán cho anh em khoûi söï ñoù.

7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remains, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

7:29 Hôõi anh em, vaäy thì toâi baûo naày: thì giôø ngaén nguûi. Töø nay veà sau, keû coù vôï haõy neân nhö keû khoâng coù;

7:30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

7:30 keû ñöông khoùc, neân nhö keû khoâng khoùc; keû ñöông vui, neân nhö keû chaúng vui; keû ñöông mua, neân nhö keû chaúng ñöôïc cuûa gì;

7:31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passes away.

7:31 vaø keû duøng cuûa theá gian, neân nhö keû chaúng duøng vaäy; vì hình traïng theá gian naày qua ñi.

7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

7:32 Vaû, toâi muoán anh em ñöôïc thong thaû chaúng phaûi lo laéng gì. Ai khoâng cöôùi vôï thì chaêm lo vieäc Chuùa, tìm phöông cho Chuùa ñeïp loøng.

7:33 But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

7:33 Song ai cöôùi vôï roài thì chaêm lo vieäc ñôøi naày, tìm caùch cho vôï mình thoûa daï.

7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: (o. pneuma) but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

7:34 Ngöôøi nöõ coù choàng vaø ñoàng trinh cuõng khaùc nhau nhö vaäy: ai khoâng choàng thì chaêm lo vieäc Chuùa, ñaëng cho thaân theå vaø tinh thaàn ñeàu ñöôïc thaùnh; nhöng ai coù choàng thì chaêm lo caùc vieäc ñôøi naày, tìm caùch cho ñeïp loøng choàng mình.

7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that all of you may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

7:35 Toâi noùi ñieàu ñoù vì söï ích lôïi cho anh em, chôù chaúng phaûi ñeå gaøi baãy, song ñeå daét anh em theo leõ phaûi, haàu cho khoâng phaân taâm maø haàu vieäc Chuùa.

7:36 But if any man think that he behaves himself indecent toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sins not: let them marry.

7:36 Neáu coù ai töôûng chaúng neân cho con gaùi ñoàng trinh mình lôõ thì, vaø phaûi gaû ñi, thì ngöôøi ñoù coù theå tuøy yù mình maø laøm, khoâng phaïm toäi gì; trong côn ñoù, ngöôøi con gaùi neân laáy choàng.

7:37 Nevertheless he that stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, does well.

7:37 Song coù ai ñöôïc töï chuû veà vieäc mình laøm, khoâng bò söï gì baét buoäc, maø trong loøng ñaõ quyeát ñònh caùch vöõng vaøng giöõ con gaùi mình ñoàng trinh, thì naáy laøm phaûi leõ maø cöù theo nhö mình ñaõ quyeát chí.

7:38 So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her not in marriage does better.

7:38 Theá thì keû gaû con gaùi mình laøm phaûi leõ; song keû khoâng gaû, coøn laøm phaûi leõ hôn nöõa.

7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

7:39 Choàng coøn soáng bao laâu, thì vôï phaûi buoät chaët vôùi choàng baáy laâu; neáu choàng cheát, vôï ñöôïc töï do, muoán laáy ai tuøy yù, mieãn laø theo yù Chuùa.

7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God.

7:40 Nhöng, theo yù toâi, neáu cöù ôû vaäy, thì coù phöôùc hôn. Vaû, toâi töôûng toâi cuõng coù Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

8:1 Now as concerning things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love (o. agape) edifies.

8:1 Luaän ñeán cuûa cuøng caùc thaàn töôïng thì chuùng ta bieát mình ñeàu coù söï hay bieát caû. Song söï hay bieát sanh kieâu caêng, coøn söï yeâu thöông laøm göông toát.

8:2 And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.

8:2 Neáu coù ai töôûng mình bieát ñieàu gì, thaät ngöôøi aáy chöa bieát nhö mình neân bieát.

8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

8:3 Nhöng neáu coù moät ngöôøi yeâu meán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi bieát ngöôøi ñoù.

8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

8:4 Vaäy, veà söï aên ôû cuûa cuùng teá caùc thaàn töôïng, chuùng ta bieát thaàn töôïng trong theá gian thaät laø hö khoâng, chæ coù moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chôù khoâng coù thaàn naøo khaùc.

8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

8:5 Thaät ngöôøi ta xöng coù caùc thaàn khaùc, hoaëc ôû treân trôøi, hoaëc ôû döôùi ñaát, (bôûi ñoù hoï thôø nhieàu thaàn nhieàu Chuùa),

8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

8:6 veà phaàn chuùng ta, chæ coù moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø thoâi, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Cha, muoân vaät bôûi Ngaøi maø ra, vaø chuùng ta höôùng veà Ngaøi; laïi chæ coù moät Chuùa maø thoâi, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, muoân vaät ñeàu nhôø Ngaøi maø coù, vaø chuùng ta cuõng vaäy.

8:7 Nevertheless there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

8:7 Nhöng chaúng phaûi moïi ngöôøi ñeàu coù söï hay bieát ñoù. Moät ñoâi ngöôøi vì nghó thöôøng coù thaàn töôïng, neân khi aên cuûa cuùng teá ñoù cho laø cuûa cuùng teá thaàn töôïng; thì löông taâm yeáu ñuoái cuûa hoï bôûi ñoù ra oâ ueá.

8:8 But food commends us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

8:8 Vaû, aáy chaúng phaûi laø ñoà aên laøm cho chuùng ta ñöôïc ñeïp loøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; neáu chuùng ta aên, chaúng ñöôïc ích gì, baèng khoâng aên, cuõng chaúng toån gì.

8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak.

8:9 Nhöng haõy giöõ laáy, keûo söï töï do mình laøm dòp cho keû yeáu ñuoái vaáp phaïm.

8:10 For if any man see you which have knowledge sit to eat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

8:10 Bôûi vì, neáu coù keû löông taâm yeáu ñuoái thaáy ngöôi laø ngöôøi coù söï hay bieát ngoài aên trong mieáu taø thaàn, thì haù chaúng cuõng baét chöôùc maø aên cuûa cuùng teá sao?

8:11 And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

8:11 Theá thì ngöôi laáy söï hay bieát mình maø laøm hö maát keû yeáu ñuoái, laø ngöôøi anh em maø Ñaáng Christ ñaõ cheát theá cho!

8:12 But when all of you sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, all of you sin against Christ.

8:12 Khi naøo mình phaïm toäi cuøng anh em nhö vaäy, laøm cho löông taâm yeáu ñuoái cuûa hoï bò thöông, thì laø phaïm toäi cuøng Ñaáng Christ.

8:13 Wherefore, if food make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.

8:13 Cho neân, neáu ñoà aên xui anh em toâi vaáp phaïm, thì toâi seõ chaúng heà aên thòt, haàu cho khoûi laøm dòp vaáp phaïm cho anh em toâi.

9:1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not all of you my work in the Lord?

9:1 Toâi chaúng ñöôïc töï do sao? Toâi chaúng phaûi laø söù ñoà sao? Toâi haù chaúng töøng thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Chuùa chuùng ta sao? Anh em haù chaúng phaûi laø coâng vieäc toâi trong Chuùa sao?

9:2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are all of you in the Lord.

9:2 Neáu toâi khoâng phaûi laø söù ñoà cho keû khaùc, ít nöõa cuõng laø söù ñoà cho anh em; vì chính anh em laø aán tín cuûa chöùc söù ñoà toâi trong Chuùa.

9:3 Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,

9:3 Aáy laø leõ binh vöïc cuûa toâi ñoái vôùi keû kieän caùo mình.

9:4 Have we not power to eat and to drink?

9:4 Chuùng toâi haù khoâng coù pheùp aên uoáng sao?

9:5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

9:5 Haù khoâng coù pheùp daét moät ngöôøi chò em laøm vôï ñi khaép nôi vôùi chuùng toâi nhö caùc söù ñoà khaùc cuøng caùc anh em Chuùa vaø Seâ-pha ñaõ laøm, hay sao?

9:6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?

9:6 Hay laø chæ moät toâi vôùi Ba-na-ba khoâng coù pheùp ñöôïc khoûi laøm vieäc?

9:7 Who goes a warfare any time at his own charges? who plants a vineyard, and eats not of the fruit thereof? or who feeds a flock, and eats not of the milk of the flock?

9:7 Vaäy thì coù ai aên löông nhaø maø ñi ñaùnh giaëc? Coù ai troàng vöôøn nho maø khoâng aên traùi? Hay laø coù ai chaên baày vaät maø khoâng duøng söõa noù ñeå nuoâi mình?

9:8 Say I these things as a man? or says not the law the same also?

9:8 Toâi noùi vaäy, naøo phaûi chæ theo thoùi ngöôøi ta quen noùi ñaâu? Luaät phaùp haù chaúng noùi nhö vaäy sao?

9:9 For it is written in the law of Moses, You shall not suppress the mouth of the ox that treads out the corn. Does God take care for oxen?

9:9 Vì chöng coù cheùp trong luaät phaùp Moâi-se raèng: Ngöôi chôù khôùp mieäng con boø ñang ñaïp luùa. Haù phaûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi lo cho boø sao?

9:10 Or says he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that plows should plow in hope; and that he that threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.

9:10 Quaû thaät Ngaøi noùi caâu ñoù veà chuùng ta maø coù cheùp raèng ai caøy ruoäng phaûi troâng caäy mình seõ coù phaàn maø ñaïp luùa.

9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

9:11 Neáu chuùng toâi ñaõ gieo cuûa thieâng lieâng cho anh em, maø muoán thaâu laïi cuûa vaät chaát cuûa anh em, thì naøo coù phaûi moät vieäc quaù leõ ñaâu?

9:12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

9:12 Ngöôøi khaùc coøn coù quyeàn aáy treân anh em, huoáng chi laø chuùng toâi? Daàu vaäy, chuùng toâi chaúng töøng duøng quyeàn aáy; nhöng chuùng toâi chòu moïi söï, haàu cho khoûi laøm ngaên trôû Tin Laønh cuûa Ñaáng Christ chuùt naøo.

9:13 Do all of you not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

9:13 Anh em haù chaúng bieát raèng ai haàu vieäc thaùnh thì aên cuûa daâng trong ñeàn thôø, coøn ai haàu vieäc nôi baøn thôø thì coù phaàn nôi baøn thôø sao?

9:14 Even so has the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

9:14 Cuõng vaäy, Chuùa coù truyeàn raèng ai rao giaûng Tin Laønh thì ñöôïc nuoâi mình bôûi Tin Laønh.

9:15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

9:15 Phaàn toâi thì chaúng töøng duøng quyeàn aáy chuùt naøo, vaø vieát thô naày chaúng phaûi ñeå ñoøi quyeàn aáy laïi; vì toâi thaø cheát coøn hôn laø chòu ai caát laáy côù khoe mình naày ñi.

9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

9:16 Ví baèng toâi rao truyeàn Tin Laønh, toâi chaúng coù côù khoe mình, vì coù leõ caàn buoäc toâi; coøn khoâng rao truyeàn Tin Laønh, thì khoán khoù cho toâi thay.

9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

9:17 Neáu toâi vui loøng laøm vieäc ñoù, thì ñöôïc thöôûng; laïi neáu toâi khoâng vui loøng maø laøm, thì caùi chöùc vuï cuõng vaãn phoù thaùc cho toâi.

9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

9:18 Theá thì phaàn thöôûng cuûa toâi laø gì? Aáy laø khi giaûng Tin Laønh, thì giaûng nhöng khoâng, chaúng duøng quyeàn toâi coù nhö ngöôøi giaûng Tin Laønh.

9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

9:19 Vaû, toâi ñoái vôùi ai vaãn cuõng laø ñöôïc töï do, maø toâi ñaønh phuïc moïi ngöôøi, haàu cho toâi ñöôïc nhieàu ngöôøi hôn.

9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

9:20 Vôùi ngöôøi Giu-ña, toâi ôû nhö moät ngöôøi Giu-ña, haàu ñöôïc nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña; vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi döôùi quyeàn luaät phaùp, (daàu chính toâi chaúng ôû döôùi quyeàn luaät phaùp), toâi cuõng ôû nhö keû döôùi quyeàn luaät phaùp, haàu ñöôïc nhöõng ngöôøi döôùi quyeàn luaät phaùp;

9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

9:21 vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi khoâng luaät phaùp, (daàu ñoái vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi khoâng phaûi laø khoâng luaät phaùp, vì toâi ôû döôùi luaät phaùp cuûa Ñaáng Christ), song toâi cuõng ôû nhö ngöôøi khoâng luaät phaùp.

9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

9:22 Toâi ôû yeáu ñuoái vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi yeáu ñuoái, haàu ñöôïc nhöõng ngöôøi yeáu ñuoái; toâi ñaõ trôû neân moïi caùch cho moïi ngöôøi, ñeå cöùu chuoäc ñöôïc moät vaøi ngöôøi khoâng cöù caùch naøo.

9:23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

9:23 Moïi ñieàu toâi laøm, thì laøm vì côù Tin Laønh, haàu cho toâi cuõng coù phaàn trong ñoù.

9:24 Know all of you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that all of you may obtain.

9:24 Anh em haù Chuùa Gieâ-xu bieát raèng trong cuoäc chaïy thi nôi tröôøng ñua, heát thaûy ñeàu chaïy, nhöng chæ moät ngöôøi ñöôïc thöôûng sao? Vaäy, anh em haõy chaïy caùch naøo cho ñöôïc thöôûng.

9:25 And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

9:25 Heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi ñua tranh, töï mình chòu laáy moïi söï kieâng kî, hoï chòu vaäy ñeå ñöôïc maõo trieàu thieân hay hö naùt. Nhöng chuùng ta chòu vaäy ñeå ñöôïc maõo trieàu thieân khoâng hay hö naùt.

9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beats the air:

9:26 Vaäy thì, toâi chaïy, chaúng phaûi laø chaïy baù vô; toâi ñaùnh, chaúng phaûi laø ñaùnh gioù;

9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

10:1 Vaû, hôõi anh em, toâi chaúng muoán cho anh em khoâng bieát toå phuï chuùng ta ñeàu ñaõ ôû döôùi ñaùm maây, ñi ngang qua bieån,

10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

10:2 chòu Moâi-se laøm pheùp baùp tem trong ñaùm maây vaø döôùi bieån,

10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual food;

10:3 aên moät thöù aên thieâng lieâng;

10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

10:4 vaø uoáng moät thöù uoáng thieâng lieâng; vì hoï uoáng nôi moät hoøn ñaù thieâng lieâng theo mình vaø ñaù aáy töùc laø Ñaáng Christ.

10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

10:5 Song phaàn nhieàu trong voøng hoï khoâng ñeïp loøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, neân ñaõ ngaõ cheát nôi ñoàng vaéng.

10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

10:6 Moïi ñieàu ñoù ñaõ xaûy ra ñeå laøm göông cho chuùng ta, haàu cho chuùng ta chôù buoâng mình theo tình duïc xaáu, nhö chính toå phuï chuùng ta ñaõ buoâng mình.

10:7 Neither be all of you idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

10:7 Cuõng ñöøng thôø hình töôïng nöõa, nhö maáy ngöôøi trong hoï, theo lôøi cheùp raèng: Daân söï ngoài maø aên uoáng, roài ñöùng daäy maø chôi dôõn.

10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

10:8 Chuùng ta chôù daâm duïc nhö maáy ngöôøi trong hoï ñaõ daâm duïc, maø trong moät ngaøy coù hai vaïn ba ngaøn ngöôøi bò boû maïng.

10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10:9 Cuõng chôù thöû thaùch Chuùa nhö maáy ngöôøi trong hoï ñaõ thöû thaùch maø bò loaøi raén huûy dieät.

10:10 Neither murmur all of you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

10:10 Laïi cuõng chôù laèm baèm nhö naáy ngöôøi trong hoï ñaõ laèm baèm maø bò cheát bôûi keû huûy dieät.

10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

10:11 Nhöõng söï aáy coù nghóa hình boùng, vaø hoï ñaõ löu truyeàn ñeå khuyeân baûo chuùng ta laø keû ôû gaàn cuoái cuøng caùc ñôøi.

10:12 Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

10:12 Vaäy thì, ai töôûng mình ñöùng, haõy giöõ keûo ngaõ.

10:13 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that all of you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that all of you may be able to bear it.

10:13 Nhöõng söï caùm doã ñeán cho anh em, chaúng coù söï naøo quaù söùc loaøi ngöôøi. Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø thaønh tín, Ngaøi chaúng heà cho anh em bò caùm doã quaù söùc mình ñaâu; nhöng trong söï caùm doã, Ngaøi cuõng môû ñaøng cho ra khoûi, ñeå anh em coù theå chòu ñöôïc.

10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

10:14 Hôõi keû yeâu daáu cuûa toâi, vaäy neân haõy traùnh khoûi söï thôø laïy hình töôïng.

10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge all of you what I say.

10:15 Toâi noùi vôùi anh em cuõng nhö noùi vôùi keû thoâng minh; chính anh em haõy suy xeùt ñieàu toâi noùi.

10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

10:16 Caùi cheùn phöôùc laønh maø chuùng ta chuùc phöôùc, haù chaúng phaûi laø thoâng vôùi huyeát cuûa Ñaáng Christ sao? Caùi baùnh maø chuùng ta beû, haù chaúng phaûi laø thoâng vôùi thaân theå cuûa Ñaáng Christ sao?

10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

10:17 Vì chæ coù moät caùi baùnh, chuùng ta daàu nhieàu, cuõng chæ moät thaân theå; bôûi chöng chuùng ta ñeàu coù phaàn chung trong moät caùi baùnh.

10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

10:18 Haõy xem daân Y-sô-ra-eân theo phaàn xaùc; nhöõng keû aên thòt con sinh teá, haù khoâng thoâng ñoàng vôùi baøn thôø sao?

10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

10:19 Noùi vaäy coù yù chi? Cuûa cuøng thaàn töôïng coù ra gì chaúng?

10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that all of you should have fellowship with devils.

10:20 Chaéc laø khoâng; nhöng ñoà ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaïo cuùng teá laø cuùng teá caùc quæ, chôù khoâng phaûi cuùng teá Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Vaäy, toâi khoâng muoán anh em thoâng ñoàng vôùi caùc quæ.

10:21 All of you cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: all of you cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

10:21 Anh em chaúng coù theå uoáng cheùn cuûa Chuùa vaø cuõng uoáng cheùn cuûa caùc quæ; chaúng coù theå döï tieäc cuûa Chuùa, laïi döï tieäc cuûa caùc quæ.

10:22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

10:22 Hay laø chuùng ta muoán treâu loøng Chuùa ghen chaêng? Chuùng ta haù maïnh hôn Ngaøi sao?

10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

10:23 Moïi söï ñeàu coù pheùp laøm, nhöng chaúng phaûi moïi söï ñeàu coù ích; moïi söï ñeàu coù pheùp laøm, nhöng chaúng phaûi moïi söï ñeàu laøm göông toát.

10:24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

10:24 Chôù ai tìm lôïi rieâng cho mình, nhöng ai naáy haõy tìm cho keû khaùc.

10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

10:25 Phaøm vaät gì baùn ôû haøng thòt, haõy aên, ñöøng vì côù löông taâm maø hoûi chi veà vieäc ñoù;

10:26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.

10:26 bôûi chöng ñaát vaø moïi vaät chöùa trong ñaát ñeàu thuoäc veà Chuùa.

10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and all of you be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

10:27 Neáu coù ngöôøi chaúng tin môøi anh em, vaø anh em muoán ñi, thì khoâng cöù hoï doïn ra ñoà gì, haõy aên ñi heát thaûy, ñöøng vì côù löông taâm maø hoûi chi heát.

10:28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof:

10:28 Song neáu coù ai noùi vôùi anh em raèng: Caùi naày ñaõ daâng laøm cuûa cuùng, thì chôù aên, vì côù ngöôøi ñaõ baûo tröôùc mình, laïi vì côù löông taâm:

10:29 Conscience, I say, not yours own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

10:29 toâi chaúng noùi veà löông taâm anh em, nhöng veà löông taâm ngöôøi ñoù. Vaû, vì côù naøo söï töï do toâi phaûi bò löông taâm keû khaùc ñoaùn xeùt?

10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

10:30 Neáu toâi taï ôn roài aên, côù naøo vì moät böõa aên ñaõ caûm ôn maø laïi bò cheâ bai?

10:31 Whether therefore all of you eat, or drink, or whatsoever all of you do, do all to the glory of God.

10:31 Vaäy, anh em hoaëc aên, hoaëc uoáng, hay laø laøm söï chi khaùc, haõy vì söï vinh hieån Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø laøm.

10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

10:32 Ñöøng laøm göông xaáu cho ngöôøi Giu-ña, ngöôøi Gôø-reùc, hay laø Hoäi thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi;

10:33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

10:33 haõy nhö toâi gaéng söùc ñeïp loøng moïi ngöôøi trong moïi vieäc, chaúng tìm ích lôïi rieâng cho mình, nhöng cho phaàn nhieàu ngöôøi, ñeå hoï ñöôïc cöùu.

11:1 Be all of you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

11:1 Haõy baét chöôùc toâi, cuõng nhö chính mình toâi baét chöôùc Ñaáng Christ vaäy.

11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that all of you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

11:2 Toâi khen anh em vì hay nhôù ñeán toâi trong moïi dòp, vaø laáy loøng trung tín maø giöõ nhöõng ñieàu toâi ñaõ daïy doã anh em.

11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

11:3 Daàu vaäy, toâi muoán anh em bieát Ñaáng Christ laø ñaàu moïi ngöôøi; ngöôøi ñôøn oâng laø ñaàu ngöôøi ñôøn baø; vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø ñaàu cuûa Ñaáng Christ.

11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonours his head.

11:4 Phaøm ngöôøi ñôøn oâng caàu nguyeän hoaëc giaûng ñaïo maø truøm ñaàu laïi, thì laøm nhuïc ñaàu mình.

11:5 But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonours her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

11:5 Nhöng phaøm ngöôøi ñôøn baø caàu nguyeän hoaëc giaûng ñaïo maø khoâng truøm ñaàu laïi, thì laøm nhuïc ñaàu mình: thaät chaúng khaùc gì ñaõ caïo ñaàu vaäy.

11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

11:6 Ví baèng ngöôøi ñôøn baø khoâng truøm ñaàu, thì cuõng neân hôùt toùc ñi. Song neáu ngöôøi ñôøn baø laáy söï hôùt toùc hoaëc caïo ñaàu laøm xaáu hoå, thì haõy truøm ñaàu laïi.

11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

11:7 Vaû, ñôøn oâng laø hình aûnh vaø söï vinh hieån cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì khoâng neân truøm ñaàu; nhöng ñôøn baø laø söï vinh hieån cuûa ñôøn oâng.

11:8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

11:8 Bôûi chöng khoâng phaûi ñôøn oâng ra töø ñôøn baø, beøn laø ñôøn baø ra töø ñôøn oâng;

11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

11:9 khoâng phaûi ñôøn oâng vì côù ñôøn baø maø ñöôïc döïng neân, beøn laø ñôøn baø vì côù ñôøn oâng vaäy.

11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

11:10 Bôûi ñoù, vì côù caùc thieân söù, ñôøn baø phaûi coù daáu hieäu treân ñaàu chæ veà quyeàn pheùp mình nöông caäy.

11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

11:11 Song trong Chuùa thì chaúng phaûi ñôøn baø ngoaïi ñôøn oâng, cuõng chaúng phaûi ñôøn oâng ngoaïi ñôøn baø;

11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

11:12 vì, nhö ñôøn baø ñaõ ra töø ñôøn oâng, thì ñôøn oâng cuõng sanh bôûi ñôøn baø, vaø caû thaûy ñeàu ra bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

11:13 Chính anh em haõy ñoaùn xeùt ñieàu naày: ñôøn baø caàu nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø khoâng truøm ñaàu laø hieäp leõ chaêng?

11:14 Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

11:14 Chính leõ töï nhieân haù chaúng daïy cho anh em bieát ñôøn oâng ñeå toùc daøi thì laáy laøm hoå theïn sao?

11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

11:15 Nhöng, neáu ñôøn baø ñeå toùc daøi thì laø lòch söï cho mình, vaø ñaõ ban toùc daøi cho ngöôøi, döôøng nhö khaên truøm vaäy.

11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

11:16 Baèng coù ai muoán caõi leõ, thì chuùng toâi khoâng coù thoùi quen aáy, maø caùc Hoäi thaùnh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuõng khoâng coù nöõa.

11:17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that all of you come together not for the better, but for the worse.

11:17 Trong khi toâi truyeàn lôøi caùo duï naày, chaúng phaûi khen anh em, vì söï nhoùm laïi cuûa anh em khoâng laøm cho mình hay hôn maø laøm cho mình dôû hôn.

11:18 For first of all, when all of you come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

11:18 Tröôùc heát, toâi nghe raèng khi anh em coù söï nhoùm hoïp Hoäi thaùnh, thì sanh ra söï phaân reõ; toâi cuõng hôi tin ñieàu ñoù.

11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

11:19 Vì chaéc trong voøng anh em phaûi coù beø ñaûng, haàu cho ñöôïc nhaän bieát trong anh em nhöõng keû naøo thaät laø trung thaønh.

11:20 When all of you come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

11:20 Vaäy, khi anh em nhoùm nhau laïi moät choã, aáy chaúng coøn phaûi laø Tieäc thaùnh cuûa Chuùa maø anh em aên;

11:21 For in eating every one takes before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

11:21 bôûi vì luùc ngoài aên, ai cuõng noân naû maø aên böõa rieâng mình, ñeán noãi ngöôøi noï chòu ñoùi, coøn keû kia thì quaù ñoä.

11:22 What? have all of you not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise all of you the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

11:22 Anh em haù chaúng coù nhaø ñeå aên uoáng sao? Hay laø anh em khinh bæ Hoäi thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, muoán laøm cho nhöõng keû khoâng coù gì phaûi hoå theïn? Toâi neân noùi chi vôùi anh em? Coù neân khen anh em khoâng? Trong vieäc naày toâi chaúng khen ñaâu.

11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

11:23 Vaû, toâi coù nhaän nôi Chuùa ñieàu toâi ñaõ daïy cho anh em: aáy laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, trong ñeâm Ngaøi bò noäp, laáy baùnh,

11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

11:24 taï ôn, roài beû ra maø phaùn raèng: Naày laø thaân theå ta, vì caùc ngöôi maø phoù cho; haõy laøm ñieàu naày ñeå nhôù ta.

11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do all of you, as often as all of you drink it, in remembrance of me.

11:25 Cuõng moät leõ aáy, sai khi aên böõa toái roài, Ngaøi laáy cheùn vaø phaùn raèng: Cheùn naày laø söï giao öôùc môùi trong huyeát ta; heã khi naøo caùc ngöôi uoáng, haõy laøm ñieàu naày ñeå nhôù ta.

11:26 For as often as all of you eat this bread, and drink this cup, all of you do show the Lord's death till he comes.

11:26 Aáy vaäy, moãi laàn anh em aên baùnh naày, uoáng cheùn naày, thì rao söï cheát cuûa Chuùa cho tôùi luùc Ngaøi ñeán.

11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

11:27 Bôûi ñoù, ai aên baùnh hoaëc uoáng cheùn cuûa Chuùa caùch khoâng xöùng ñaùng, thì seõ maéc toäi vôùi thaân vaø huyeát cuûa Chuùa.

11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

11:28 Vaäy moãi ngöôøi phaûi töï xeùt laáy mình, vaø nhö theá môùi aên baùnh uoáng cheùn aáy;

11:29 For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

11:29 vì ngöôøi naøo khoâng phaân bieät thaân Chuùa maø aên baùnh uoáng cheùn ñoù, töùc laø aên uoáng söï xeùt ñoaùn cho mình.

11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

11:30 Aáy vì côù ñoù maø trong anh em coù nhieàu keû taät nguyeàn, ñau oám, vaø coù laém keû nguû.

11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

11:31 Neáu chuùng ta bieát xeùt ñoaùn laáy mình, thì khoûi bò xeùt ñoaùn.

11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

11:32 Song khi chuùng ta bò Chuùa xeùt ñoaùn, thì bò Ngaøi söûa phaït, haàu cho khoûi bò aùn laøm moät vôùi ngöôøi theá gian.

11:33 Wherefore, my brethren, when all of you come together to eat, tarry one for another.

11:33 Hôõi anh em, vaäy thì luùc anh em hoäi laïi ñeå aên chung vôùi nhau, haõy chôø ñôïi nhau.

11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that all of you come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

11:34 Ví baèng coù ai ñoùi, haõy aên taïi nhaø mình, haàu cho anh em khoâng nhoùm laïi ñeå maø chuoác laáy söï ñoaùn xeùt. Coøn caùc vieäc khaùc, luùc toâi ñeán seõ ñoaùn ñònh.

12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

12:1 Hôõi anh em, toâi khoâng muoán anh em chaúng bieát veà caùc söï ban cho thieâng lieâng.

12:2 All of you know that all of you were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as all of you were led.

12:2 Anh em bieát khi mình coøn laø ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaïo, bò khuyeân doã höôùng veà caùc thaàn töôïng caâm, tuøy yù ngöôøi ta daãn duï mình.

12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

12:3 Bôûi ñoù, toâi toû cuøng anh em, chaúng ai caûm Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, maø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùng nguyeàn ruûa! Neáu khoâng caûm Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh, cuõng chaúng ai xöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Chuùa!

12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. (o. pneuma)

12:4 Vaû, coù caùc söï ban cho khaùc nhau, nhöng chæ coù moät Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh.

12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

12:5 Coù caùc chöùc vuï khaùc nhau, nhöng chæ coù moät Chuùa.

12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.

12:6 Coù caùc vieäc laøm khaùc nhau, nhöng chæ coù moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø Ñaáng laøm moïi vieäc trong moïi ngöôøi.

12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit (o. pneuma) is given to every man to profit likewise.

12:7 Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh toû ra trong moãi moät ngöôøi, cho ai naáy ñeàu ñöôïc söï ích chung.

12:8 In order to one is given by the Spirit (o. pneuma) the word (o. logos) of wisdom; to another the word (o. logos) of knowledge by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma)

12:8 Vaû, ngöôøi naày nhôø Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh, ñöôïc lôøi noùi khoân ngoan; keû kia nhôø moät Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh aáy, cuõng ñöôïc lôøi noùi coù tri thöùc.

12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma) to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma)

12:9 Bôûi moät Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh, cho ngöôøi naày ñöôïc ñöùc tin; cuõng bôûi moät Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh aáy, cho keû kia ñöôïc ôn chöõa taät bònh;

12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; (o. pneuma) to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

12:10 ngöôøi thì ñöôïc laøm pheùp laï; keû thì ñöôïc noùi tieân tri; ngöôøi thì ñöôïc phaân bieät caùc thaàn; keû thì ñöôïc noùi nhieàu thöù tieáng khaùc nhau, ngöôøi thì ñöôïc thoâng giaûi caùc thöù tieáng aáy.

12:11 But all these works that one and the very same Spirit, (o. pneuma) dividing to every man severally as he will.

12:11 Moïi ñieàu ñoù laø coâng vieäc cuûa ñoàng moät Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh maø thoâi, theo yù Ngaøi muoán, phaân phaùt söï ban cho rieâng cho moãi ngöôøi.

12:12 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

12:12 Vaû, nhö thaân laø moät, maø coù nhieàu chi theå, vaø nhö caùc chi theå cuûa thaân daàu coù nhieàu, cuõng chæ hieäp thaønh moät thaân maø thoâi, Ñaáng Christ khaùc naøo nhö vaäy.

12:13 For by one Spirit (o. pneuma) are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (o. pneuma)

12:13 Vì chöng chuùng ta hoaëc ngöôøi Giu-ña, hoaëc ngöôøi Gôø-reùc, hoaëc toâi moïi, hoaëc töï chuû, ñeàu ñaõ chòu pheùp baùp-tem chung moät Thaùnh Linh ñeå hieäp laøm moät thaân; vaø chuùng toâi ñeàu ñaõ chòu uoáng chung moät Thaùnh Linh nöõa.

12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

12:14 Thaân cuõng chaúng phaûi coù moät chi theå, beøn laø nhieàu chi theå.

12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

12:15 Neáu chôn raèng: vì ta chaúng phaûi laø tay, neân ta khoâng thuoäc veà thaân, thì chaúng phaûi bôûi ñoù chôn khoâng coù phaàn trong thaân.

12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

12:16 Vaø neáu tai raèng: Vì ta chaúng phaûi laø maét, neân ta khoâng thuoäc veà thaân, thì tai chaúng phaûi bôûi ñoù khoâng coù phaàn trong thaân.

12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

12:17 Ví baèng caû thaân ñeàu laø maét, thì söï nghe ôû ñaâu? Neáu caû thaân ñeàu laø tai, thì söï ngöûi ôû ñaâu?

12:18 But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

12:18 Nhöng baây giôø, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ saép ñaët caùc chi theå cuûa thaân chuùng ta, ban cho moãi moät chi theå caùi ñòa vò theo yù Ngaøi laáy laøm toát maø chæ ñònh.

12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

12:19 Neáu chæ coù moät chi theå maø thoâi, thì caùi thaân ôû ñaâu?

12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

12:20 vaäy, coù nhieàu chi theå, song chæ coù moät thaân.

12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

12:21 Maét khoâng ñöôïc noùi vôùi baøn tay raèng: Ta chaúng caàn ñeán maày; ñaàu cuõng chaúng ñöôïc noùi vôùi chôn raèng: Ta chaúng caàn ñeán bay.

12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

12:22 Traùi laïi, caùc chi theå cuûa thaân xem ra raát yeáu ñuoái laïi laø caàn duøng.

12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our indecent parts have more abundant loveliness.

12:23 Chi theå naøo trong thaân chuùng ta nghó laø heøn haï hôn, thì chuùng ta toân troïng hôn; chi theå naøo chaúng ñeïp, thì chuùng ta laïi trau gioài hôn,

12:24 For our comely parts have no need: but God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

12:24 coøn nhö caùi naøo ñaõ ñeïp roài, thì khoâng caàn trau gioài. Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ saép ñaët thaân ngöôøi, ñeå chi theå naøo thieáu thoán thì ñöôïc quí troïng hôn,

12:25 That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

12:25 haàu cho trong thaân khoâng coù söï phaân reõ, maø caùc chi theå phaûi ñoàng lo töôûng ñeán nhau.

12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

12:26 Laïi, trong caùc chi theå, khi coù moät caùi naøo chòu ñau ñôùn, thì caùc caùi khaùc ñeàu cuøng chòu; vaø khi moät caùi naøo ñöôïc toân troïng, thì caùc caùi khaùc cuøng vui möøng.

12:27 Now all of you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

12:27 Vaû, anh em laø thaân cuûa Ñaáng Christ, vaø laø chi theå cuûa thaân, ai rieâng phaàn naáy.

12:28 And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

12:28 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ laäp trong Hoäi thaùnh, thöù nhöùt laø söù ñoà, thöù nhì laø ñaáng tieân tri, thöù ba laø thaày giaùo, keá ñeán keû laøm pheùp laï, roài keû ñöôïc ôn chöõa bònh, cöùu giuùp, cai quaûn, noùi caùc thöù tieáng.

12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

12:29 Coù phaûi caû thaûy laø söù ñoà sao? Caû thaûy laø tieân tri sao? Caû thaûy ñeàu laø thaày giaùo sao? Caû thaûy ñeàu laøm pheùp laï sao?

12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

12:30 Caû thaûy ñeàu ñöôïc ôn chöõa bònh sao? Caû thaûy ñeàu noùi tieáng laï sao? Caû thaûy ñeàu thoâng giaûi tieáng laï sao?

12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

13:1 Daàu toâi noùi ñöôïc caùc thöù tieáng loaøi ngöôøi vaø thieân söù, neáu khoâng coù tình yeâu thöông, thì toâi chæ nhö ñoàng keâu leân hay laø chaäp choûa vang tieáng.

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, (o. agape) I am nothing.

13:2 Daàu toâi ñöôïc ôn noùi tieân tri, cuøng bieát ñuû caùc söï maàu nhieäm, vaø moïi söï hay bieát; daàu toâi coù caû ñöùc tin ñeán noãi dôøi nuùi ñöôïc, nhöng khoâng coù tình yeâu thöông, thì toâi chaúng ra gì.

13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, (o. agape) it profits me nothing.

13:3 Daàu toâi phaân phaùt gia taøi ñeå nuoâi keû ngheøo khoù, laïi boû thaân mình ñeå chòu ñoát, song khoâng coù tình yeâu thöông, thì ñieàu ñoù chaúng ích chi cho toâi.

13:4 Love (o. agape) suffers long, and is kind; love (o. agape) envies not; love (o. agape) vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,

13:4 Tình yeâu thöông hay nhòn nhuïc; tình yeâu thöông hay nhôn töø; tình yeâu thöông chaúng ghen tò, chaúng khoe mình, chaúng leân mình kieâu ngaïo,

13:5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;

13:5 chaúng laøm ñieàu traùi pheùp, chaúng kieám tö lôïi, chaúng noùng giaän, chaúng nghi ngôø söï döõ,

13:6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

13:6 chaúng vui veà ñieàu khoâng coâng bình, nhöng vui trong leõ thaät.

13:7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

13:7 Tình yeâu thöông hay dung thöù moïi söï, tin moïi söï, troâng caäy moïi söï, nín chòu moïi söï.

13:8 Love (o. agape) never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

13:8 Tình yeâu thöông chaúng heà hö maát bao giôø. Caùc lôøi tieân tri seõ heát, söï ban cho noùi tieáng laï seõ thoâi, söï thoâng bieát haàu bò boû.

13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

13:9 Vì chöng chuùng ta hieåu bieát chöa troïn veïn, noùi tieân tri cuõng chöa troïn veïn;

13:10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

13:10 song luùc söï troïn laønh ñaõ ñeán, thì söï chöa ñöôïc troïn laønh seõ bò boû.

13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

13:11 Khi toâi coøn treû, toâi noùi nhö con treû, tö töôûng nhö con treû, suy xeùt nhö con treû; khi toâi ñaõ thaønh nhôn beøn boû nhöõng ñieàu thuoäc veà con treû.

13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13:12 Ngaøy nay chuùng ta xem nhö trong moät caùi göông, caùch maäp môø: ñeán baáy giôø chuùng ta seõ thaáy hai maët ñoái nhau; ngaøy nay toâi bieát chöa heát: ñeán baáy giôø toâi seõ bieát nhö Chuùa ñaõ bieát toâi vaäy.

13:13 And now abides faith, hope, love, (o. agape) these three; but the greatest of these is love. (o. agape)

13:13 Neân baây giôø coøn coù ba ñieàu naày: ñöùc tin, söï troâng caäy, tình yeâu thöông; nhöng ñieàu troïng hôn trong ba ñieàu ñoù laø tình yeâu thöông.

14:2 For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands him; nevertheless in the spirit (o. pneuma) he speaks mysteries.

14:2 Vì ngöôøi naøo noùi tieáng laï, thì khoâng phaûi noùi vôùi ngöôøi ta, beøn laø vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, bôûi chaúng coù ai hieåu (aáy laø trong taâm thaàn maø ngöôøi kia noùi lôøi maàu nhieäm);

14:3 But he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

14:3 coøn nhö keû noùi tieân tri, thì noùi vôùi ngöôøi ta ñeå gaây döïng, khuyeân baûo vaø yeân uûi.

14:4 He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church.

14:4 Keû noùi tieáng laï, töï gaây döïng laáy mình; song keû noùi tieân tri, gaây döïng cho Hoäi thaùnh.

14:5 I would that all of you all spoke with tongues but rather that all of you prophesied: for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

14:5 Toâi öôùc ao anh em ñeàu noùi tieáng laï caû, song toâi coøn öôùc ao hôn nöõa laø anh em noùi tieân tri. Ngöôøi noùi tieân tri laø troïng hôn keû noùi tieáng laï maø khoâng giaûi nghóa ñeå cho Hoäi thaùnh ñöôïc gaây döïng.

14:6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

14:6 Hôõi anh em, vì baèng toâi ñeán cuøng anh em, noùi caùc thöù tieáng laï, maø lôøi noùi toâi chaúng toû söï maàu nhieäm, chaúng coù söï thoâng bieát, chaúng coù lôøi tieân tri, chaúng coù söï khuyeân daïy, thì ích gì ñeán anh em?

14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

14:7 Vaäy, daãu vaät khoâng linh taùnh phaùt ra tieáng, nhö oáng tieâu, ñôøn caàm: neáu khoâng coù aâm ñieäu phaân bieät nhau, theå naøo nhaän bieát ñöôïc oáng tieâu hay laø ñôøn caàm thoåi vaø khaûy caùi chi?

14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

14:8 Laïi neáu keøn troåi tieáng loän xoän, thì ai söûa soaïn maø ra traän?

14:9 So likewise all of you, except all of you utter by the tongue words (o. logos) easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for all of you shall speak into the air.

14:9 Anh em cuõng vaäy, neáu duøng löôõi noùi chaúng roõ raøng cho ngöôøi ta nghe, thì laøm sao hoï ñöôïc bieát ñieàu anh em noùi? Vì anh em noùi boâng loâng.

14:10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

14:10 Trong theá gian coù laém thöù tieáng, moãi thöù ñeàu coù nghóa.

14:11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaks a barbarian, and he that speaks shall be a barbarian unto me.

14:11 Vaäy neáu toâi chaúng bieát nghóa cuûa tieáng noùi ñoù, thì ngöôøi noùi tieáng ñoù seõ coi toâi laø moïi, vaø toâi cuõng coi hoï laø moïi nöõa.

14:12 Even so all of you, forasmuch as all of you are zealous of spiritual (o. pneuma) gifts, seek that all of you may excel to the edifying of the church.

14:12 Aáy vaäy, vì anh em noân naû öôùc ao caùc söï ban cho thieâng lieâng, haõy tìm cho ñöôïc dö daät ñaëng gaây döïng Hoäi thaùnh.

14:13 Wherefore let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

14:13 Bôûi ñoù, keû noùi tieáng laï, haõy caàu nguyeän ñeå ñöôïc thoâng giaûi tieáng aáy.

14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit (o. pneuma) prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

14:14 Vì neáu toâi caàu nguyeän baèng tieáng laï, thì taâm thaàn toâi caàu nguyeän, nhöng trí khoân toâi lô löûng.

14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, (o. pneuma) and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, (o. pneuma) and I will sing with the understanding also.

14:15 Vaäy thì toâi seõ laøm theå naøo? Toâi seõ caàu nguyeän theo taâm thaàn, nhöng cuõng caàu nguyeän baèng trí khoân. Toâi seõ haùt theo taâm thaàn, nhöng cuõng haùt baèng trí khoân.

14:16 Else when you shall bless with the spirit, (o. pneuma) how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned say Amen at your giving of thanks, seeing he understands not what you says?

14:16 Baèng khoâng, neáu ngöôi chæ laáy taâm thaàn maø chuùc taï, thì ngöôøi taàm thöôøng ngoài nghe, chaúng hieåu ngöôi noùi gì, theå naøo hoï theo lôøi chuùc taï mình maø ñaùp laïi "A-men" ñöôïc?

14:17 For you verily give thanks well, but the other is not edified.

14:17 Thaät vaäy, lôøi chuùc taï cuûa ngöôi vaãn toát laønh; song keû khaùc chaúng nhôø ñoù maø ñöôïc gaây döïng.

14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than all of you all:

14:18 Toâi taï ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vì ñaõ ñöôïc ôn noùi tieáng laï nhieàu hôn heát thaûy anh em;

14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words (o. logos) with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words (o. logos) in an unknown tongue.

14:19 nhöng thaø toâi laáy naêm lôøi baèng trí khoân mình maø rao giaûng trong Hoäi thaùnh, ñeå ñöôïc daïy baûo keû khaùc, hôn laø laáy moät vaïn lôøi baèng tieáng laï.

14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: nevertheless in malice be all of you children, but in understanding be men.

14:20 Hôõi Anh em, veà söï khoân saùng, chôù neân nhö treû con; nhöng veà söï gian aùc, thaät haõy neân nhö treû con vaäy. Coøn veà söï khoân saùng, haõy neân nhö keû thaønh nhôn.

14:21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, says the LORD.

14:21 Trong luaät phaùp coù cheùp raèng: Chuùa phaùn: Ta seõ nhôø nhöõng ngöôøi noùi tieáng laï, vaø moâi mieäng ngöôøi ngoaïi quoác maø phaùn cho daân naày; daàu vaäy hoï cuõng chaúng nghe ta.

14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serves not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

14:22 Theá thì, caùc thöù tieáng laø moät daáu, chaúng cho ngöôøi tin Chuùa, song cho ngöôøi chaúng tin; coøn nhö lôøi tieân tri laø moät daáu, chaúng phaûi cho ngöôøi khoâng tin, song cho ngöôøi tin Chuùa.

14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that all of you are mad?

14:23 Vaäy thì caû Hoäi thaùnh nhoùm laïi moät nôi, neáu ai naáy ñeàu noùi tieáng laï, maø coù keû taàm thöôøng hoaëc ngöôøi chaúng tin vaøo nghe, hoï haù chaúng noùi anh em laø ñieân cuoàng sao?

14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believes not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

14:24 Song neáu ai naáy ñeàu noùi tieân tri, maø coù ngöôøi chaúng tin hoaëc keû taàm thöôøng vaøo nghe, thì hoï seõ bò moïi ngöôøi baét phuïc, vaø bò moïi ngöôøi xeùt ñoaùn,

14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you truthfully.

14:25 söï kín giaáu trong loøng hoï ñaõ toû ra; hoï beøn saáp maët xuoáng ñaát, thôø laïy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø noùi raèng thaät coù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû giöõa anh em.

14:26 How is it then, brethren? when all of you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

14:26 Hôõi Anh em, neân noùi theå naøo? Khi Anh em nhoùm laïi vôùi nhau, trong anh em, ai coù baøi ca, hoaëc baøi giaûng daïy, hoaëc lôøi toû söï kín nhieäm, hoaëc noùi tieáng laï, hoaëc giaûi tieáng laï chaêng? Haõy laøm heát thaûy cho ñöôïc gaây döïng.

14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

14:27 Ví baèng coù ngöôøi noùi tieáng laï, chæ neân hai hoaëc ba ngöôøi laø cuøng; moãi ngöôøi phaûi noùi theo löôït mình, vaø phaûi coù moät ngöôøi thoâng giaûi.

14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

14:28 Neáu khoâng coù ai thoâng giaûi, thì ngöôøi ñoù phaûi laøm thinh ôû trong Hoäi thaùnh, mình noùi vôùi mình vaø vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

14:29 Ngöôøi noùi tieân tri cuõng chæ neân coù hai hoaëc ba ngöôøi noùi maø thoâi, coøn nhöõng keû khaùc thì suy xeùt.

14:30 If any thing be revealed to another that sits by, let the first hold his peace.

14:30 Song, neáu moät ngöôøi trong boïn ngöôøi ngoài, coù lôøi toû kín nhieäm, thì ngöôøi thöù nhaát phaûi nín laëng.

14:31 For all of you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

14:31 Bôûi vì anh em ñeàu cöù laàn löôït maø noùi tieân tri ñöôïc caû, ñeå ai naáy ñeàu ñöôïc daïy baûo, ai naáy ñeàu ñöôïc khuyeân lôn.

14:32 And the spirits (o. pneuma) of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

14:32 Taâm thaàn cuûa caùc ñaáng tieân tri suy phuïc caùc ñaáng tieân tri.

14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

14:33 Vaû, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chaúng phaûi laø Chuùa cuûa söï loaïn laïc, beøn laø Chuùa söï hoøa bình. Haõy laøm nhö trong caû Hoäi thaùnh cuûa caùc thaùnh ñoà,

14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also says the law.

14:34 ñôøn baø phaûi nín laëng trong ñaùm hoäi cuûa anh em: hoï khoâng coù pheùp noùi taïi nôi ñoù, nhöng phaûi phuïc tuøng cuõng nhö luaät phaùp daïy.

14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

14:35 Nhöôïc baèng hoï muoán hoïc khoân ñieàu gì, thì moãi ngöôøi trong ñaùm hoï phaûi hoûi choàng mình ôû nhaø; bôûi vì ñôøn baø noùi leân trong Hoäi thaùnh laø khoâng hieäp leõ.

14:36 What? came the word (o. logos) of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

14:36 Coù phaûi laø ñaïo Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ra töø nôi anh em, hoaëc chæ ñeán cuøng anh em maø thoâi chaêng?

14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

14:37 Neáu ai töôûng mình laø tieân tri, hay laø ñöôïc Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh soi saùng, thì ngöôøi aáy haõy bieát raèng ñeàu toâi vieát cho anh em ñaây laø maïng lònh cuûa Chuùa.

14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

14:38 Maø neáu ai muoán boû qua thì maëc hoï boû qua!

14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

14:39 Aáy vaäy, hôõi anh em, haõy troâng mong ôn noùi tieân tri, vaø ñöøng ngaên trôû chi veà ñieàu noùi tieáng laï.

14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

14:40 Nhöng moïi söï ñeàu neân laøm cho phaûi pheùp vaø theo thöù töï.

15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also all of you have received, and wherein all of you stand;

15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

15:4 Ngaøi ñaõ bò choân, ñeán ngaøy thöù ba, Ngaøi soáng laïi, theo lôøi Kinh Thaùnh;

15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

15:5 vaø Ngaøi ñaõ hieän ra cho Seâ-pha, sau laïi hieän ra cho möôøi hai söù ñoà.

15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

15:6 Roài ñoù, cuøng trong moät laàn, Ngaøi hieän ra cho hôn naêm traêm anh em xem thaáy, phaàn nhieàu ngöôøi trong soá aáy hieän baây giôø coøn soáng, nhöng coù maáy ngöôøi ñaõ nguû roài.

15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

15:7 Ñoaïn, Ngaøi hieän ra cho Gia-cô, roài cho caùc söù ñoà.

15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

15:8 Roài laïi, sau nhöõng ngöôøi aáy, Ngaøi cuõng hieän ra cho toâi xem, nhö cho moät thai sanh non vaäy.

15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

15:9 Vì toâi laø raát heøn moïn trong caùc söù ñoà, khoâng ñaùng goïi laø söù ñoà, bôûi toâi ñaõ baét bôù Hoäi thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

15:10 Nhöng toâi nay laø ngöôøi theå naøo, laø nhôø ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø ôn Ngaøi ban cho toâi cuõng khoâng phaûi laø uoång vaäy. Traùi laïi, toâi ñaõ laøm nhieàu vieäc hôn caùc ngöôøi khaùc, nhöng naøo phaûi toâi, beøn laø ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ôû cuøng toâi.

15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so all of you believed.

15:11 Aáy vaäy, daàu toâi, daàu caùc ngöôøi khaùc, ñoù laø ñieàu chuùng toâi giaûng daïy, vaø laø ñieàu anh em ñaõ tin.

15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

15:12 Vaû, neáu giaûng daïy raèng Ñaáng Christ ñaõ töø keû cheát soáng laïi, thì sao trong anh em coù keû noùi raèng nhöõng keû cheát chaúng soáng laïi?

15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

15:13 Neáu nhöõng keû khoâng soáng laïi, thì Ñaáng Christ cuõng ñaõ chaúng soáng laïi nöõa.

15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15:14 Laïi neáu Ñaáng Christ ñaõ chaúng soáng laïi, thì söï giaûng daïy cuûa chuùng toâi ra luoáng coâng, vaø ñöùc tin anh em cuõng voâ ích.

15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

15:15 Laïi neáu keû cheát quaû thaät khoâng soáng laïi, thì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ chaúng khieán Ñaáng Christ soáng laïi, maø chuùng toâi ñaõ laøm chöùng traùi vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho Ñaáng Christ soáng laïi, teù ra chuùng toâi laøm chöùng doái cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

15:16 Vì neáu keû cheát chaúng soáng laïi, thì Ñaáng Christ cuõng ñaõ chaúng soáng laïi nöõa.

15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; all of you are yet in your sins.

15:17 Vaø neáu Ñaáng Christ ñaõ chaúng soáng laïi, thì ñöùc tin anh em cuõng voâ ích, anh em coøn ôû trong toäi loãi mình.

15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

15:18 Vaäy, nhöõng keû nguû trong Ñaáng Christ cuõng phaûi hö maát ñôøi ñôøi.

15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

15:19 Neáu chuùng ta chæ coù söï troâng caäy trong Ñaáng Christ veà ñôøi naày maø thoâi, thì trong caû moïi ngöôøi, chuùng ta laø keû khoán naïn hôn heát.

15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept.

15:20 Nhöng baây giôø, Ñaáng Christ ñaõ töø keû cheát soáng laïi, Ngaøi laø traùi ñaàu muøa cuûa nhöõng keû nguû.

15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

15:21 Vaû, vì chöng bôûi moät ngöôøi maø coù söï cheát, thì cuõng bôûi moät ngöôøi maø coù söï soáng laïi cuûa nhöõng keû cheát.

15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

15:22 Nhö trong A-ñam moïi ngöôøi ñeàu cheát, thì cuõng moät leõ aáy, trong Ñaáng Christ moïi ngöôøi ñeàu seõ soáng laïi,

15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

15:23 nhöng moãi ngöôøi theo thöù töï rieâng cuûa mình: Ñaáng Christ laø traùi ñaàu muøa; roài tôùi ngaøy Ñaáng Christ ñeán, nhöõng keû thuoäc veà Ngaøi seõ soáng laïi.

15:24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

15:24 Keá ñoù, cuoái cuøng seõ ñeán laø luùc Ngaøi seõ giao nöôùc laïi cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Cha, sau khi Ngaøi ñaõ phaù dieät moïi ñeá quoác, moïi quyeàn cai trò, vaø moïi theá löïc;

15:25 For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.

15:25 vì Ngaøi phaûi caàm quyeàn cho ñeán chöøng ñaët nhöõng keû thuø nghòch döôùi chôn mình.

15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

15:26 Keû thuø bò huûy dieät sau cuøng, töùc laø söï cheát.

15:27 For he has put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

15:27 Vaû, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñeå muoân vaät döôùi chôn Ngaøi; maø ñaõ noùi raèng muoân vaät phuïc Ngaøi, thì chaéc phaûi tröø ra Ñaáng laøm cho muoân vaät phuïc Ngaøi.

15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

15:28 Khi muoân vaät ñaõ phuïc Ngaøi, thì baáy giôø chính mình Con seõ phuïc Ñaáng ñaõ laøm cho muoân vaät phuïc mình, haàu cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laøm muoân söï trong muoân söï.

15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

15:29 Baèng chaúng vaäy, nhöõng ngöôøi vì keû cheát chòu pheùp baùp tem seõ laøm chi? Neáu keû cheát quaû thaät khoâng soáng laïi, thì sao hoï vì nhöõng keû aáy maø chòu pheùp baùp tem?

15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

15:30 Laïi sao chính mình chuùng toâi giôø naøo cuõng ôû trong söï nguy hieåm?

15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily.

15:31 Hôõi anh em, toâi cheát haèng ngaøy, thaät cuõng nhö anh em laø söï vinh hieån cho toâi trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, laø Chuùa chuùng ta.

15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; in order to morrow we die.

15:32 Neáu toâi theo caùch loaøi ngöôøi maø ñaõ ñaùnh cuøng caùc loaøi thuù ôû thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ, thì coù ích gì cho toâi? Neáu keû cheát chaúng soáng laïi, thì haõy aên, haõy uoáng, vì ngaøy mai chuùng ta seõ cheát!

15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

15:33 Anh em chôù maéc löøa: baïn beø xaáu laøm hö thoùi neát toát.

15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

15:34 Haõy tænh bieát, theo caùc coâng bình, vaø chôù phaïm toäi; vì coù ngöôøi khoâng bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùt naøo, toâi noùi vaäy ñeå anh em hoå theïn.

15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

15:35 Nhöng coù keû seõ noùi raèng: Ngöôøi cheát soáng laïi theå naøo, laáy xaùc naøo maø trôû laïi?

15:36 You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:

15:36 Hôõi keû daïi kia, vaät gì ngöôi gieo, neáu khoâng cheát ñi tröôùc ñaõ, thì khoâng soáng laïi ñöôïc.

15:37 And that which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

15:37 Coøn nhö vaät ngöôi gieo, aáy khoâng phaûi laø chính hình theå seõ sanh ra, chaúng qua laø moät caùi hoät, nhö hoät luùa mì hay laø hoät gioáng naøo khaùc.

15:38 But God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

15:38 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cho noù hình theå tuøy yù Ngaøi laáy laøm toát, moãi moät hoät gioáng, cho moät hình theå rieâng.

15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

15:39 Moïi xaùc thòt chaúng phaûi laø ñoàng moät xaùc thòt; nhöng xaùc thòt loaøi ngöôøi khaùc, xaùc thòt loaøi thuù khaùc, loaøi chim khaùc, loaøi caù khaùc.

15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

15:40 Laïi cuõng coù hình theå thuoäc veà trôøi, hình theå thuoäc veà ñaát, nhöng vinh quang cuûa hình theå thuoäc veà trôøi vôùi vinh quang cuûa hình theå thuoäc veà ñaát thì khaùc nhau.

15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.

15:41 Vinh quang cuûa maët trôøi khaùc, vinh quang cuûa maët traêng khaùc, vinh quang cuûa ngoâi sao khaùc; vinh quang cuûa ngoâi sao naày vôùi vinh quang cuûa ngoâi sao kia cuõng khaùc.

15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

15:42 Söï soáng laïi cuûa keû cheát cuõng nhö vaäy. Thaân theå ñaõ gieo ra laø hay hö naùt, maø soáng laïi laø khoâng hay hö naùt;

15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

15:43 ñaõ gieo ra laø nhuïc, maø soáng laïi laø vinh; ñaõ gieo ra laø yeáu, maø soáng laïi laø maïnh;

15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

15:44 ñaõ gieo ra laø theå huyeát khí, maø soáng laïi laø theå thieâng lieâng. Neáu ñaõ coù theå huyeát khí, thì cuõng coù theå thieâng lieâng;

15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving spirit. (o. pneuma)

15:45 aáy vaäy, coù lôøi cheùp raèng: Ngöôøi thöù nhöùt laø A-ñam ñaõ neân linh hoàn soáng. A-ñam sau heát laø thaàn ban söï soáng.

15:46 Nevertheless that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

15:46 Nhöng chaúng phaûi theå thieâng lieâng ñeán tröôùc, aáy laø theå huyeát khí; roài theå thieâng lieâng ñeán sau.

15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

15:47 Ngöôøi thöù nhöùt bôûi ñaát maø ra, laø thuoäc veà ñaát, ngöôøi thöù hai bôûi trôøi maø ra.

15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

15:48 Ngöôøi thuoäc veà ñaát theå naøo, thì nhöõng keû thuoäc veà ñaát cuõng theå aáy; ngöôøi thuoäc veà trôøi theå naøo, thì nhöõng keû thuoäc veà trôøi cuõng theå aáy.

15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

15:49 Nhö chuùng ta ñaõ mang aûnh töôïng cuûa ngöôøi thuoäc veà ñaát, thì chuùng ta cuõng seõ mang aûnh töôïng cuûa ngöôøi thuoäc veà trôøi.

15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

15:50 Hôõi anh em, toâi ñoaùn quyeát raèng thòt vaø maùu chaúng höôûng nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñöôïc, vaø söï hay hö naùt khoâng höôûng söï khoâng hay hö naùt ñöôïc.

15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

15:51 Naày laø söï maàu nhieäm toâi toû cho anh em: Chuùng ta khoâng nguû heát, nhöng heát thaûy ñeàu seõ bieán hoùa,

15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

15:52 trong giaây phuùt, trong nhaùy maét, luùc tieáng keøn choùt; vì keøn seõ thoåi, keû cheát ñeàu soáng laïi ñöôïc khoâng hay hö naùt, vaø chuùng ta ñeàu seõ bieán hoùa.

15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

15:53 Vaû, theå hay hö naùt naày phaûi maëc laáy söï khoâng hay hö naùt, vaø theå hay cheát naày phaûi maëc laáy söï khoâng hay cheát.

15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying (o. logos) that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

15:55 O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?

15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do all of you.

16:1 Veà vieäc goùp tieàn cho thaùnh ñoà, thì anh em cuõng haõy theo nhö toâi ñaõ ñònh lieäu cho caùc Hoäi thaùnh xöù Ga-la-ti.

16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

16:2 Cöù ngaøy ñaàu tuaàn leã. moãi moät ngöôøi trong anh em khaù tuøy söùc mình chaét loùt ñöôïc bao nhieâu thì ñeå daønh taïi nhaø mình, haàu cho khoûi ñôïi khi toâi ñeán roài môùi goùp.

16:3 And when I come, whomsoever all of you shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

16:3 Khi toâi ñeán, toâi seõ sai nhöõng keû maø anh em ñaõ choïn caàm thô toâi ñi, ñaëng ñem tieàn boá thí cuûa anh em ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

16:4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

16:4 Ví baèng vieäc ñaùng chính mình toâi phaûi ñi, thì nhöõng keû aáy seõ ñi vôùi toâi.

16:5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

16:5 Vaäy, toâi seõ ñeán cuøng anh em sau khi gheù qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan, vì toâi phaûi gheù qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan.

16:6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that all of you may bring me on my journey anywhere I go.

16:6 Coù leõ toâi truù laïi nôi anh em, hoaëc cuõng ôû troïn muøa ñoâng taïi ñoù nöõa, ñeå anh em ñöa toâi ñeán nôi toâi muoán ñi.

16:7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

16:7 Laàn naày toâi chaúng muoán chæ gaëp anh em trong khi gheù qua maø thoâi; neáu Chuùa cho pheùp, thì toâi raát mong ôû cuøng anh em ít laâu.

16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

16:8 Nhöng toâi seõ ôû laïi thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ cho ñeán leã Nguõ Tuaàn,

16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

16:9 vì taïi ñoù coù moät caùi cöûa lôùn môû toang ra cho coâng vieäc toâi, laïi coù nhieàu keû ñoái ñòch.

16:10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord, as I also do.

16:10 Neáu Ti-moâ-theâ ñeán thaêm anh em, haõy giöõ cho ngöôøi khoùi sôï seät gì trong anh em: vì ngöôøi cuõng laøm vieäc cho Chuùa nhö chính mình toâi vaäy.

16:11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

16:11 Neân chôù coù ai khinh ngöôøi, haõy ñöa ngöôøi ñi veà bình an, haàu cho ngöôøi ñeán cuøng toâi, vì toâi ñöông ñôïi ngöôøi ñoàng ñeán vôùi anh em.

16:12 As concerning our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

16:12 Coøn nhö anh em chuùng ta laø A-boâ-loâ toâi thöôøng coá khuyeân ngöôøi ñi vôùi anh em ñaây maø ñeán cuøng caùc anh em, nhöng hieän nay ngöôøi chaéc chöa khöùng ñi; ngöôøi seõ ñi trong khi coù dòp tieän.

16:13 Watch all of you, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

16:13 Anh em haõy tænh thöùc, haõy vöõng vaøng trong ñöùc tin, haõy doác chí tröôïng phu vaø maïnh meõ.

16:14 Let all your things be done with love. (o. agape)

16:14 Moïi ñieàu anh em laøm, haõy laáy loøng yeâu thöông maø laøm.

16:15 I plead to (all of you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

16:15 Hôõi anh em, coøn moät lôøi daën nöõa: anh em bieát raèng nhaø Seâ-pha-na laø traùi ñaàu muøa cuûa xöù A-chai, vaø bieát raèng nhaø aáy heát loøng haàu vieäc caùc thaùnh ñoà.

16:16 That all of you submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helps with us, and labours.

16:16 Vaäy, haõy kính phuïc nhöõng ngöôøi theå aáy, vaø kính phuïc caû moïi ngöôøi cuøng laøm vieäc, cuøng khoù nhoïc vôùi chuùng ta.

16:17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

16:18 For they have refreshed my spirit (o. pneuma) and your's: therefore acknowledge all of you them that are such.

16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

16:19 Caùc Hoäi thaùnh ôû xöù A-si chaøo thaêm anh em. A-qui-la vaø Beâ-rít-sin gôûi lôøi chaøo anh em trong Chuùa, Hoäi thaùnh hieäp trong nhaø hai ngöôøi aáy cuõng vaäy.

16:20 All the brethren greet you. Greet all of you one another with an holy kiss.
