15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except all of you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, all of you cannot be saved.
15:1 Vaû, coù maáy ngöôøi töø xöù Giu-ñeâ ñeán, daïy caùc anh em raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi chaúng chòu pheùp caét bì theo leã Moâi-se, thì khoâng theå ñöôïc cöùu roãi.
15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
15:2 Nhôn ñoù, coù söï khaùc yù vaø cuoäc caõi leõ döõ doäi giöõa Phao-loâ vaø Ba-na-ba vôùi maáy ngöôøi ñoù, ngöôøi ta nhöùt ñònh Phao-loâ vaø Ba-na-ba vôùi maáy ngöôøi trong boïn kia ñi leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñeán cuøng caùc söù ñoà vaø tröôûng laõo ñaëng hoûi veà vieäc naày.
15:3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
15:3 Vaäy, sau khi caùc ngöôi aáy ñöôïc Hoäi thaùnh ñöa ñöôøng roài, thì traûi qua xöù Pheâ-ni-xi vaø xöù Sa-ma-ri, thuaät laïi söï ngöôøi ngoaïi trôû veà ñaïo, vaø nhö vaäy laøm cho anh em thay thaûy ñöôïc vui möøng laém.
15:4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
15:4 Vöøa tôùi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñöôïc Hoäi thaùnh, caùc söù ñoà vaø tröôûng laõo tieáp röôùc, roài thuaät laïi moïi ñieàu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ caäy mình laøm.
15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
15:5 Nhöng coù maáy keû veà ñaûng Pha-ri-si ñaõ tin ñaïo, ñöùng daäy noùi raèng phaûi laøm pheùp caét bì cho nhöõng ngöôøi ngoaïi, vaø truyeàn hoï phaûi tuaân theo luaät phaùp Moâi-se.
15:6 And the apostles and elders came together in order to consider of this matter. (o. logos)
15:6 Caùc söù ñoà vaø caùc tröôûng laõo beøn hoïp laïi ñeå xem xeùt veà vieäc ñoù.
15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, all of you know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word (o. logos) of the gospel, and believe.
15:7 Sau moät cuoäc baøn luaän daøi roài, Phi -e-rô ñöùng daäy noùi cuøng chuùng raèng: Hôõi anh em, haõy bieát raèng töø luùc ban ñaàu, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ choïn toâi trong caùc anh em, ñeå cho ngöôøi ngoaïi ñöôïc nghe Tin Laønh bôûi mieäng toâi vaø tin theo.
15:8 And God, which knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) even as he did unto us;
15:8 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Ñaáng bieát loøng ngöôøi, ñaõ laøm chöùng cho ngöôøi ngoaïi, maø ban Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh cho hoï cuõng nhö cho chuùng ta;
15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
15:9 Ngaøi chaúng phaân bieät chuùng ta vôùi ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaâu, vì ñaõ laáy ñöùc tin khieán cho loøng hoï tinh saïch.
15:10 Now therefore why tempt all of you God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
15:10 Vaäy baây giôø, côù sao anh em thöû Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, gaùn cho moân ñoà moät caùi aùch maø toå phuï chuùng ta hoaëc chính chuùng ta cuõng chöa töøng mang noåi?
15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
15:11 Traùi laïi, chuùng ta tin raèng nhôø ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, chuùng ta ñöôïc cöùu cuõng nhö ngöôøi ngoaïi vaäy.
15:12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
15:12 Caû hoäi ñoàng ñeàu laúng laëng, nghe Ba-na-ba vaø Phao-loâ thuaät laïi nhöõng pheùp laï daáu kyø maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ caäy mình laøm ra giöõa ngöôøi ngoaïi.
15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
15:13 Noùi xong, Gia-cô caát tieáng leân raèng: Hôõi anh em, haõy nghe toâi!
15:14 Simeon has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15:14 Si-moân coù thuaät theá naøo laàn thöù nhöùt, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñoaùi thöông ngöôøi ngoaïi, ñaëng töø ñoù laáy ra moät daân ñeå daâng cho danh Ngaøi.
15:15 And to this agree the words (o. logos) of the prophets; as it is written,
15:15 Ñieàu ñoù phuø hieäp vôùi lôøi caùc ñaáng tieân tri, vì coù cheùp raèng:
15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
15:16 Roài ñoù, ta seõ trôû laïi, Döïng laïi ñeàn taïm cuûa vua Ña-vít bò ñoå naùt; Ta seõ söûa söï hö naùt ñeàn ñoù laïi Maø gaây döïng leân;
15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, says the Lord, who does all these things.
15:17 Haàu cho nhöõng ngöôøi soùt laïi Vaø moïi daân caàu khaån danh ta ñeàu tìm Chuùa. Chuùa laø Ñaáng laøm neân nhöõng vieäc naày coù phaùn nhö vaäy;
15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
15:18 töø tröôùc voâ cuøng Ngaøi ñaõ thoâng bieát nhöõng vieäc ñoù.
15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
15:19 Vaäy, theo yù toâi, thaät chaúng neân khuaáy roái nhöõng ngöôøi ngoaïi trôû veà cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi;
15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
15:20 song khaù vieát thô daën hoï kieâng giöõ cho khoûi söï oâ ueá cuûa thaàn töôïng, söï taø daâm, söï aên thòt thuù vaät cheát ngoät vaø huyeát.
15:21 For Moses of old time has in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
15:21 Vì traûi bao nhieâu ñôøi nay, trong moãi thaønh vaãn coù ngöôøi giaûng luaät phaùp Moâi-se, bôûi moïi ngaøy Sa-baùt, trong caùc nhaø hoäi ngöôøi ta coù ñoïc luaät aáy.
15:22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
15:22 Keá ñoù, caùc söù ñoà vaø tröôûng laõo cuøng caû Hoäi thaùnh beøn quyeát ñònh sai nhöõng ngöôøi ñöôïc choïn ôû nôi mình ñi vôùi Phao-loâ vaø Ba-na-ba ñeán thaønh An-ti-oát. Aáy laø Giu-ñe, cuõng goïi laø Ba-sa-ba, vaø Si-la, laø hai ngöôøi ñöùng ñaàu trong haøng anh em;
15:23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.
15:23 roài giao cho hai ngöôøi böùc thô nhö sau naày: Caùc söù ñoà, tröôûng laõo vaø anh em gôûi lôøi chaøo thaêm anh em trong nhöõng ngöôøi ngoaïi taïi thaønh An-ti-oát, trong xöù Sy-ri vaø xöù Si-li-si!
15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, (o. logos) subverting your souls, saying, All of you must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
15:24 Bôûi töøng nghe coù moät vaøi ngöôøi trong voøng chuùng ta, chaúng laõnh maïng lònh naøo nôi chuùng ta, töï laáy lôøi mình khuaáy roái, vaø bieán loaïn loøng caùc ngöôi nöõa,
15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
15:25 neân chuùng ta ñoàng loøng quyeát yù choïn nhöõng ngöôøi thay maët sai ñi cuõng keû raát yeâu daáu cuûa chuùng ta laø Ba-na-ba vaø Phao-loâ, maø ñeán nôi caùc ngöôi;
15:26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:26 hai ngöôøi naày voán ñaõ lieàu thaân vì danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ laø Chuùa chuùng ta.
15:27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. (o. logos)
15:27 Vaäy chuùng ta ñaõ sai Giu-ñe vaø Si-la ñeán, ñeå noùi mieäng vôùi anh em veà vieäc ñoù:
15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
15:28 aáy laø Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh vaø chuùng ta ñaõ öng raèng chaúng gaùn gaùnh naëng naøo khaùc cho anh em ngoaøi nhöõng ñieàu caàn duøng,
15:29 That all of you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if all of you keep yourselves, all of you shall do well. Fare all of you well.
15:29 töùc laø anh em phaûi kieâng aên cuûa cuùng thaàn töôïng, huyeát, thuù vaät cheát ngoät, vaø chôù taø daâm; aáy laø moïi ñieàu maø anh em khaù kieâng giöõ laáy vaäy. Kính chuùc bình an.
15:30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
15:30 Vaäy, khi caùc ngöôøi ñoù ñaõ töø giaõ Hoäi thaùnh, xuoáng thaønh An-ti-oát, nhoùm heát thaûy anh em laïi vaø trao thô cho.
15:31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
15:31 Ngöôøi ta ñoïc thô, thaûy ñeàu möøng rôõ vì ñöôïc lôøi yeân uûi.
15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, (o. logos) and confirmed them.
15:32 Giu-ñe vaø Si-la chính laø keû tieân tri, cuõng laáy nhieàu lôøi giaûng maø khuyeân baûo, vaø giuïc loøng anh em maïnh meõ.
15:33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
15:33 Khoûi ít laâu, anh em chuùc caùc ngöôøi ñoù bình an maø cho veà cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi ñaõ sai ñeán.
15:34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
15:34 Nhöng maø Si-la thì quyeát ôû laïi thaønh An-ti-oát.
15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word (o. logos) of the Lord, with many others also.
15:35 Nhöng Phao-loâ vaø Ba-na-ba ôû laïi taïi thaønh An-ti-oát, giaûng Tin Laønh vaø daïy ñaïo Chuùa vôùi nhieàu ngöôøi khaùc.
15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word (o. logos) of the LORD, and see how they do.
15:36 Sau ít laâu, Phao-loâ noùi vôùi Ba-na-ba raèng: Chuùng ta haõy trôû laïi thaêm heát thaûy anh em trong caùc thaønh maø chuùng ta tröôùc ñaõ giaûng ñaïo Chuùa, xem thöû ra theå naøo.
15:37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
15:37 Ba-na-ba muoán ñem theo Giaêng cuõng goïi laø Maùc.
15:38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
15:38 Nhöng Phao-loâ khoâng coù yù ñem Maùc ñi vôùi, vì ngöôøi ñaõ lìa hai ngöôøi trong xöù Bam-phi-ly, chaúng cuøng ñi laøm vieäc vôùi.
15:39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
15:39 Nhôn ñoù coù söï caõi laãy nhau döõ doäi, ñeán noãi hai ngöôøi phaân reõ nhau, vaø Ba-na-ba ñem Maùc cuøng xuoáng thuyeàn vöôït qua ñaûo Chíp-rô.
15:40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
15:40 Coøn Phao-loâ sau khi ñaõ choïn Si-la, vaø nhôø anh em giao phoù mình cho aân ñieån Chuùa, thì khôûi ñi.
15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
15:41 Ngöôøi traûi qua xöù Sy-ri vaø xöù Si-li-si, laøm cho caùc Hoäi thaùnh ñöôïc vöõng beàn.
16:1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
16:1 Phao-loâ tôùi thaønh Ñeït-bô vaø thaønh Lít-trô. Nôi ñoù, coù moät moân ñoà teân laø Ti-moâ-theâ, con cuûa moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø Giu-ña ñaõ tin, coøn cha thì ngöôøi Gôø-reùc.
16:2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
16:2 Anh em ôû thaønh Lít-trô vaø thaønh Y-coâ-ni ñeàu laøm chöùng toát veà ngöôøi.
16:3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
16:3 Phao-loâ muoán ñem ngöôøi theo; bôûi côù nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû trong caùc nôi ñoù, neân Phao-loâ laáy ngöôøi vaø laøm pheùp caét bì cho, vì heát thaûy ñeàu bieát cha Ti-moâ-theâ laø ngöôøi Gôø-reùc.
16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees in order to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
16:4 Heã gheù qua thaønh naøo, hai ngöôøi cuõng daën bieåu phaûi giöõ maáy leà luaät maø söù ñoà vaø tröôûng laõo taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem laäp ra.
16:5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
16:5 Aáy vaäy, caùc Hoäi thaùnh ñöôïc vöõng vaøng trong ñöùc tin, vaø soá ngöôøi caøng ngaøy caøng theâm leân.
16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) to preach the word (o. logos) in Asia,
16:6 Ñoaïn, traûi qua xöù Phi-ri-gi vaø ñaát Ga-la-ti, vì Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñaõ caám truyeàn ñaïo trong coõi A-si.
16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit (o. pneuma) suffered them not.
16:7 Tôùi gaàn xöù My-ri roài, hai ngöôøi saém söûa vaøo xöù Bi-thi-ni; nhöng Thaùnh Linh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus khoâng cho pheùp,
16:8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
16:8 beøn kíp qua khoûi xöù My-si, vaø xuoáng thaønh Troâ-aùch.
16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
16:9 Ñöông ban ñeâm, Phao-loâ thaáy söï hieän thaáy; coù moät ngöôøi Ma-xeâ-ñoan ñöùng tröôùc maët mình, naøi xin raèng: Haõy qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan maø cöùu giuùp chuùng toâi.
16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us in order to preach the gospel unto them.
16:10 Phao-loâ vöøa thaáy söï hieän thaáy ñoù roài, chuùng ta lieàn tìm caùch qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan, vì ñaõ ñònh raèng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi goïi chuùng ta rao truyeàn Tin Laønh ôû ñoù.
16:11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;
16:11 Vaäy, chuùng ta töø thaønh Troâ-aùch ñi thuyeàn thaúng ñeán ñaûo Sa-moâ-tra-xô; böõa sau, ñeán thaønh Neâ -a-boâ-li;
16:12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.
16:12 töø nôi ñoù, chuùng ta tôùi thaønh Phi-líp, laø thaønh thöù nhöùt cuûa tænh Ma-xeâ-ñoan, vaø laø thuoäc ñòa nöôùc Roâ-ma. Chuùng ta ôû taïm ñoù vaøi ngaøy.
16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was known to be made; and we sat down, and spoke unto the women which resorted thither.
16:13 Ñeán ngaøy Sa-baùt, chuùng ta ra ngoaøi cöûa thaønh, ñeán gaàn beân soâng, laø nôi chuùng ta töôûng raèng ngöôøi ta nhoùm laïi ñaëng caàu nguyeän; chuùng ta ngoài xong, giaûng cho nhöõng ñôøn baø ñaõ nhoùm laïi.
16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
16:14 Coù moät ngöôøi trong boïn ñoù nghe chuùng ta, teân laø Ly-ñi, queâ ôû thaønh Thi -a-ti-rô, laøm ngheà buoân haøng saéc tía, vaãn kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Chuùa môû loøng cho ngöôøi, ñaëng chaêm chæ nghe lôøi Phao-loâ noùi.
16:15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If all of you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
16:15 Khi ngöôøi ñaõ chòu pheùp baùp-tem vôùi ngöôøi nhaø mình roài, thì xin chuùng ta raèng: Neáu caùc oâng ñaõ ñoaùn toâi laø trung thaønh vôùi Chuùa, thì haõy vaøo nhaø toâi, maø ôû laïi ñoù; roài ngöôøi eùp môøi vaøo.
16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit (o. pneuma) of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
16:16 Moät ngaøy kia, chuùng ta ñi caàu nguyeän, gaëp moät ñöùa ñaày tôù gaùi bò quæ Phi-toân aùm vaøo, hay boùi khoa, laøm lôïi lôùn cho chuû noù.
16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.
16:17 Noù theo Phao-loâ vaø chuùng ta, maø keâu la raèng: Nhöõng ngöôøi ñoù laø ñaày tôù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi Raát Cao, rao truyeàn cho caùc ngöôi ñaïo cöùu roãi.
16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, (o. pneuma) I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
16:18 Trong nhieàu ngaøy noù cöù laøm vaäy, nhöng Phao-loâ laáy laøm cöïc loøng, xaây laïi noùi cuøng quæ raèng: Ta nhôn danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ maø truyeàn maày ra khoûi ngöôøi ñôøn baø naày. Chính giôø ñoù, quæ lieàn ra khoûi.
16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
16:19 Song le caùc chuû naøng thaáy mình chaúng coøn troâng ñöôïc lôïi loäc nöõa, beøn baét Phao-loâ vaø Si-la, keùo ñeán nôi coâng sôû, tröôùc maët caùc quan,
16:20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
16:20 roài ñieäu ñeán caùc thöôïng quan, maø thöa raèng: Nhöõng ngöôøi naày laøm roái loaïn thaønh ta; aáy laø ngöôøi Giu-ña,
16:21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
16:21 daïy doã caùc thoùi tuïc maø chuùng ta chaúng neân nhaän laáy, hoaëc vaâng theo, vì chuùng ta laø ngöôøi Roâ-ma.
16:22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
16:22 Ñoaøn daân cuõng noåi leân nghòch cuøng hai ngöôøi, vaø khi caùc thöôïng quan khieán xeù aùo hai ngöôøi ra roài, beøn truyeàn ñaùnh ñoøn.
16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
16:23 Sau khi ngöôøi ta ñaùnh nhieàu ñoøn roài, thì boû vaøo nguïc, daën ngöôøi ñeà lao phaûi canh giôø cho nghieâm nhaët.
16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
16:24 Ñöôïc lònh ñoù, ñeà lao boû hai ngöôøi vaøo nguïc toái vaø tra chôn vaøo cuøm.
16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
16:25 Loái nöõa ñeâm, Phao-loâ vaø Si-la ñöông caàu nguyeän, haùt ngôïi khen Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; vaø nhöõng tuø phaïm ñeàu nghe.
16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
16:26 Thình lình, coù nôi ñoäng ñaát raát lôùn, ñeán noãi neàn nguïc ruùng ñoäng; cuøng moät luùc, caùc cöûa môû ra, xieàng tuø phaïm thaûy ñeàu thaùo caû.
16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

16:28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm: for we are all here.
16:28 Nhöng Phao-loâ keâu ngöôøi lôùn tieáng raèng: Chôù laøm haïi mình; chuùng ta ñeàu coøn caû ñaây.
16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
16:29 Ngöôøi ñeà lao beøn keâu laáy ñeøn, chaïy laïi, run sôï laém, gieo mình nôi chôn Phao-loâ vaø Si-la.
16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:30 Ñoaïn, ñöa hai ngöôøi ra ngoaøi, maø hoûi raèng: Caùc chuùa ôi, toâi phaûi laøm chi cho ñöôïc cöùu roãi?
16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house.
16:31 Hai ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Haõy tin Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, thì ngöôi vaø caû nhaø ñeàu seõ ñöôïc cöùu roãi.
16:32 And they spoke unto him the word (o. logos) of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
16:32 Hai ngöôøi truyeàn ñaïo Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cho ngöôøi, vaø cho nhöõng keû ôû nhaø ngöôøi nöõa.
16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, immediately.
16:33 Trong ban ñeâm, chính giôø ñoù, ngöôøi ñeà lao ñem hai ngöôøi ra röûa caùc thöông tích cho; roài töùc thì ngöôøi vaø moïi keû thuoäc veà mình ñeàu chòu pheùp baùp-tem.
16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
16:34 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi ñeà lao môøi hai ngöôøi leân nhaø mình, ñaët baøn, vaø ngöôøi vôùi caû nhaø mình ñeàu möøng rôõ vì ñaõ tin Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.
16:35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, Let those men go.
16:35 Ñeán saùng, thöôïng quan sai lính noùi cuøng ngöôøi ñeà lao raèng: Haõy thaû caùc ngöôøi aáy ñi.
16:36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying (o. logos) to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
16:36 Ngöôøi trình lôøi ñoù cuøng Phao-loâ raèng: Caùc thöôïng quan ñaõ khieán truyeàn cho toâi thaû caùc oâng; vaäy, haõy ra, vaø xin ñi cho bình yeân.
16:37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privately? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
16:37 Nhöng Phao-loâ noùi cuøng lính raèng: Chuùng ta voán laø quoác daân Roâ-ma, khi chöa ñònh toäi, hoï ñaõ ñaùnh ñoøn chuùng ta giöõa thieân haï, roài boû vaøo nguïc; nay hoï laïi thaû leùn chuùng ta ö! Ñieàu ñoù khoâng ñöôïc. Chính caùc quan phaûi tôùi ñaây maø thaû chuùng ta môùi phaûi!
16:38 And the sergeants told these words (o. rhema) unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
16:38 Caùc thöôïng quan nghe lính trình laïi baáy nhieâu lôøi, bieát hai ngöôøi ñoù laø ngöôøi Roâ-ma, thì sôï haõi.
16:39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
16:39 Hoï beøn ñeán noùi vôùi hai ngöôøi, thaû ñi, vaø xin lìa khoûi thaønh.
16:40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
16:40 Khi ra nguïc roài, hai söù ñoà vaøo nhaø Ly-ñi, thaêm vaø khuyeân baûo anh em, roài ñi.
17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:
17:1 Phao-loâ vaø Si-la ñi ngang qua thaønh Am-phi-boâ-li vaø thaønh A-boâ-loâ-ni, roài tôùi thaønh Teâ-sa-loâ-ni-ca; ôû ñoù ngöôøi Giu-ña coù moät nhaø hoäi.
17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
17:2 Phao-loâ tôùi nhaø hoäi theo thoùi quen mình, vaø trong ba ngaøy Sa-baùt baøn luaän vôùi hoï,
17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must essentially have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
17:3 laáy Kinh Thaùnh caét nghóa vaø giaûi toû töôøng veà Ñaáng Christ phaûi chòu thöông khoù, roài töø keû cheát soáng laïi. Ngöôøi noùi raèng Ñaáng Christ naày, töùc laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus maø ta rao truyeàn cho caùc ngöôi.
17:4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
17:4 Trong boïn hoï coù moät vaøi ngöôøi ñöôïc khuyeân doã noái theo Phao-loâ vaø Si-la, laïi cuõng coù raát nhieàu ngöôøi Gôø-reùc vaãn kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø maáy ngöôøi ñôøn baø sang troïng trong thaønh nöõa.
17:5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
17:5 Nhöng ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaày loøng ghen gheùt, ruû maáy ñöùa hoang ñaøng nôi ñöôøng phoá, xui giuïc ñoaøn daân gaây loaïn trong thaønh. Chuùng noù xoâng vaøo nhaø cuûa Gia-soân, tìm baét Phao-loâ vaø Si-la ñaëng ñieäu ñeán cho daân chuùng.
17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come here also;
17:6 Tìm khoâng ñöôïc, beøn keùo Gia-soân vaø maáy ngöôøi anh em ñeán tröôùc maët caùc quan aùn trong thaønh, maø la leân raèng: Kìa nhöõng teân naày ñaõ gaây thieân haï neân loaïn laïc, nay coù ñaây,
17:7 Whom Jason has received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.
17:7 vaø Gia-soân ñaõ chöùa chuùng! Chuùng noù heát thaûy ñeàu laø ñoà nghòch maïng Seâ-sa, vì noùi raèng coù moät vua khaùc, laø Jeâsus.
17:8 And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things.
17:8 Baáy nhieâu lôøi ñoù laøm roái ñoäng ñoaøn daân vaø caùc quan aùn.
17:9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.
17:9 Song khi caùc quan aùn ñoøi Gia-soân vaø caùc ngöôøi khaùc baûo laõnh roài, thì tha cho ra.
17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
17:10 Töùc thì, trong ban ñeâm, anh em khieán Phao-loâ vaø Si-la ñi ñeán thaønh Beâ-reâ. Ñeán nôi roài, thì vaøo nhaø hoäi ngöôøi Giu-ña.
17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word (o. logos) with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
17:11 Nhöõng ngöôøi naày coù yù haún hoi hôn ngöôøi Teâ-sa-loâ-ni-ca, ñeàu saün loøng chòu laáy ñaïo, ngaøy naøo cuõng tra xem Kinh Thaùnh, ñeå xeùt lôøi giaûng coù thaät chaêng.
17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
17:12 Trong boïn hoï coù nhieàu ngöôøi tin theo, vôùi maáy ngöôøi ñôøn baø Gôø-reùc sang troïng, vaø ñôøn oâng cuõng khaù ñoâng.
17:13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word (o. logos) of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
17:13 Nhöng khi ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû thaønh Teâ-sa-loâ-ni-ca hay Phao-loâ cuõng truyeàn ñaïo Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi taïi thaønh Beâ-reâ, beøn ñeán ñoù ñeå raûi söï xao xieán roái loaïn trong daân chuùng.
17:14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
17:14 Töùc thì, anh em khieán Phao-loâ ñi phía bieån, coøn Si-la vôùi Ti-moâ-theâ ôû laïi thaønh Beâ-reâ.
17:15 And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus in order to come to him with all speed, they departed.
17:15 Nhöng ngöôøi daãn Phao-loâ ñöa ngöôøi ñeán thaønh A-theân; roài trôû veà, ñem lònh cho Si-la vaø Ti-moâ-theâ phaûi ñeán cuøng ngöôøi cho gaáp.
17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit (o. pneuma) was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
17:16 Phao-loâ ñöông ñôïi hai ngöôøi taïi thaønh A-theân, ñoäng loøng töùc giaän, vì thaáy thaønh ñeàu ñaày nhöõng thaàn töôïng.
17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
17:17 Vaäy, ngöôøi bieän luaän trong nhaø hoäi vôùi ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø ngöôøi môùi theo ñaïo Giu-ña; laïi moãi ngaøy, vôùi nhöõng keû naøo mình gaëp taïi nôi chôï.
17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
17:18 Coù maáy nhaø trieát hoïc veà phaùi Epicuriens vaø phaùi Stociens cuõng caõi leõ vôùi ngöôøi. Keû thì hoûi: Ngöôøi giaø meùp naày muoán noùi gì ñoù? Ngöôøi thì noùi: Ngöôøi döôøng nhö giaûng veà caùc thaàn ngoaïi quoác (vì Phao-loâ truyeàn cho chuùng veà Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus vaø söï soáng laïi).
17:19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof you speak, is?
17:19 Chuùng baét ngöôøi, ñem ñeán nôi A-reâ-oâ-ba, maø hoûi raèng: Chuùng toâi coù theå bieát ñöôïc ñaïo môùi maø oâng daïy ñoù chaêng?
17:20 For you bring certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.
17:20 Vì chöng oâng giaûng cho chuùng toâi nghe söï laï. Chuùng toâi muoán bieát yù nghóa ñieàu ñoù laø gì.
17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
17:21 Vaû, heát thaûy ngöôøi A-theân vaø ngöôøi ngoaïi quoác nguï taïi thaønh A-theân chæ lo noùi vaø nghe vieäc môùi laï maø thoâi.
17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, All of you men of Athens, I perceive that in all things all of you are too superstitious.
17:22 Baáy giôø, Phao-loâ ñöùng giöõa A-reâ-oâ-ba, noùi raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi A-theân, phaøm vieäc gì ta cuõng thaáy caùc ngöôi soát saéng quaù chöøng.
17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore all of you ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
17:23 Vì khi ta traûi khaép thaønh caùc ngöôi, xem xeùt khí vaät caùc ngöôi duøng thôø phöôïng, thì thaáy moät baøn thôø coù chaïm chöõ raèng: Thôø Chuùa Khoâng Bieát. Vaäy, Ñaáng caùc ngöôi thôø maø khoâng bieát ñoù, laø Ñaáng ta ñöông rao truyeàn cho.
17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;
17:24 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ döïng neân theá giôùi vaø moïi vaät trong ñoù, laø Chuùa cuûa trôøi ñaát, chaúng ngöï taïi ñeàn thôø bôûi tay ngöôøi ta döïng neân ñaâu.
17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;
17:25 Ngaøi cuõng chaúng duøng tay ngöôøi ta haàu vieäc Ngaøi döôøng nhö coù caàn ñeán söï gì, vì Ngaøi laø Ñaáng ban söï soáng, hôi soáng, muoân vaät cho moïi loaøi.
17:26 And has made of one blood all nations of men in order to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
17:26 Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho muoân daân sanh ra bôûi chæ moät ngöôøi, vaø khieán ôû khaép treân maët ñaát, ñònh tröôùc thì giôø ñôøi ngöôøi ta cuøng giôùi haïn choã ôû,
17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if lest by any means they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
17:27 haàu cho tìm kieám Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø heát söùc rôø tìm cho ñöôïc, daãu Ngaøi chaúng ôû xa moãi moät ngöôøi trong chuùng ta.
17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
17:28 Vì taïi trong Ngaøi, chuùng ta ñöôïc soáng, ñoäng, vaø coù, y nhö xöa moät vaøi thi nhôn cuûa caùc ngöôi coù noùi raèng: Chuùng ta cuõng laø doøng doõi cuûa Ngaøi.
17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by are and man's device.
17:29 Vaäy, bôûi chuùng ta laø doøng doõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì chôù neân ngôø raèng Chuùa gioáng nhö vaøng, baïc, hay laø ñaù, bôûi coâng ngheä vaø taøi xaûo cuûa ngöôøi ta chaïm troå neân.
17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent:
17:30 Vaäy thì, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ boû qua caùc ñôøi ngu muoäi ñoù, maø nay bieåu heát thaûy caùc ngöôøi trong moïi nôi ñeàu phaûi aên naên,
17:31 Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.
17:31 vì Ngaøi ñaõ chæ ñònh moät ngaøy, khi Ngaøi seõ laáy söï coâng bình ñoaùn xeùt theá gian, bôûi Ngöôøi Ngaøi ñaõ laäp, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ khieán Ngöôøi töø keû cheát soáng laïi, ñeå laøm chöùng chaéc veà ñieàu ñoù cho thieân haï.
17:32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear you again of this matter.
17:32 Khi chuùng nghe noùi veà söï soáng laïi cuûa keû cheát, keû thì nhaïo baùng, ngöôøi thì noùi raèng: Luùc khaùc chuùng ta seõ nghe ngöôi noùi veà vieäc ñoù.
17:33 So Paul departed from among them.
17:33 Vì vaäy, Phao-loâ töø giöõa ñaùm hoï böôùc ra.
17:34 Nevertheless certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
17:34 Nhöng coù maáy keû theo ngöôøi vaø tin; trong soá ñoù coù Ñeâ-ni, laø moät quan toøa nôi A-reâ-oâ-ba, vaø moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø teân laø Ña-ma-ri, cuøng caùc ngöôøi khaùc.
18:1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
18:1 Roài ñoù, Phao-loâ ñi khoûi thaønh A-theân, maø tôùi thaønh Coâ-rinh-toâ.
18:2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
18:2 Taïi ñoù, ngöôøi gaëp moät ngöôøi Giu-ña, teân laø A-qui-la, queâ ôû xöù Boâng, môùi töø nöôùc Y-ta-li ñeán ñaây vôùi vôï mình laø Beâ-rít-sin, bôûi vì vua Cô-loát coù chæ truyeàn moïi ngöôøi Giu-ña phaûi laùnh khoûi thaønh Roâ-ma; Phao-loâ beøn hieäp vôùi hai ngöôøi.
18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
18:3 Vì ñoàng ngheà, neân Phao-loâ ôû nhaø hai ngöôøi maø laøm vieäc chung nhau; vaû, ngheà caùc ngöôøi ñoù laø may traïi.
18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
18:4 Heã ñeán ngaøy Sa-baùt, thì Phao-loâ giaûng luaän trong nhaø hoäi, khuyeân doã ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø ngöôøi Gôø-reùc.
18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
18:5 Khi Si-la vaø Ti-moâ-theâ töø xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan ñeán, thì Phao-loâ heát loøng chuyeân lo veà söï giaûng daïy, laøm chöùng vôùi ngöôøi Giu-ña raèng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Ñaáng Christ.
18:6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
18:6 Nhöng, vì chuùng choáng cöï vaø khinh deå ngöôøi, neân ngöôøi giuõ aùo mình maø noùi raèng: Öôùc gì maùu caùc ngöôi ñoå laïi treân ñaàu caùc ngöôi! Coøn ta thì tinh saïch; töø ñaây, ta seõ ñi ñeán cuøng ngöôøi ngoaïi.
18:7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
18:7 Phao-loâ ra khoûi ñoù, vaøo nhaø moät ngöôøi teân laø Ti-ti -u Giuùt-tu, laø keû kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, nhaø ngöôøi giaùp vôùi nhaø hoäi.
18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
18:8 Baáy giôø Cô-rít-bu, chuû nhaø hoäi, vôùi caû nhaø mình ñeàu tin Chuùa; laïi coù nhieàu ngöôøi Coâ-rinh-toâ töøng nghe Phao-loâ giaûng, cuõng tin vaø chòu pheùp baùp-tem.
18:9 Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not your peace:
18:9 Ban ñeâm, Chuùa phaùn cuøng Phao-loâ trong söï hieän thaáy raèng: Ñöøng sôï chi; song haõy noùi vaø chôù laøm thinh;
18:10 For I am with you, and no man shall set on you to hurt you: for I have much people in this city.
18:10 ta ôû cuøng ngöôi, chaúng ai tra tay treân ngöôi ñaëng laøm haïi ñaâu; vì ta coù nhieàu ngöôøi trong thaønh naày.
18:11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word (o. logos) of God among them.
18:11 Phao-loâ ôû laïi ñoù moät naêm saùu thaùng, daïy ñaïo Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi trong ñaùm hoï.
18:12 And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
18:12 Luùc Ga-li-oân ñang laøm quan traán thuû xöù A-chai, ngöôøi Giu-ña ñoàng loøng noåi leân nghòch cuøng Phao-loâ vaø keùo ngöôøi ñeán toøa aùn,
18:13 Saying, This fellow persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.
18:13 maø noùi raèng: Ngöôøi naày xui daân thôø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi moät caùch traùi luaät phaùp.
18:14 And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O all of you Jews, reason (o. logos) would that I should bear with you:
18:14 Phao-loâ vöøa toan môû mieäng traû lôøi, thì Ga-li-oân noùi cuøng daân Giu-ña raèng: Haõy ngöôøi Giu-ña, giaù nhö veà noãi traùi pheùp hay toäi loãi gì, thì theo leõ phaûi, ta neân nhòn nhuïc nghe caùc ngöôi.
18:15 But if it be a question of words (o. logos) and names, and of your law, look all of you to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.
18:15 Song neáu bieän luaän veà ñòa lyù, danh hieäu, hay laø luaät phaùp rieâng cuûa caùc ngöôi, thì haõy töï xöû laáy; ta chaúng khöùng xöû ñoaùn nhöõng vieäc ñoù ñaâu.
18:16 And he drove them from the judgment seat.
18:16 Ngöôøi beøn ñuoåi chuùng ra khoûi toøa aùn.
18:17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
18:17 Baáy giôø, chuùng baét Soát-then, chuû nhaø hoäi, ñaùnh ñoøn tröôùc toøa aùn, nhöng Ga-li-oân chaúng lo ñeán vieäc ñoù.
18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.

18:19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

18:20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;
18:20 song khi chuùng xin ôû laïi laâu hôn nöõa, thì ngöôøi chaúng khöùng.
18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that comes in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
18:21 Ngöôøi töø giaõ caùc ngöôøi ñoù maø raèng: Ví Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khöùng, thì chuyeán khaùc ta seõ ñeán nôi caùc ngöôi; roài ngöôøi töø thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ maø ñi.
18:22 And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.
18:22 Khi ñoå boä taïi thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ roài, ngöôøi ñi leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, chaøo möøng Hoäi thaùnh, ñoaïn laïi xuoáng thaønh An-ti-oát.
18:23 And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
18:23 Ngöôøi ôû ñoù ít laâu, roài laïi ñi, traûi laàn laàn khaép trong xöù Ga-la-ti vaø xöù Phi-ri-gi, laøm cho heát thaûy moân ñoà ñeàu vöõng loøng.
18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
18:24 Baáy giôø coù moät ngöôøi Giu-ña teân laø A-boâ-loâ, queâ taïi thaønh A-leùc-xan-tri, laø tay kheùo noùi vaø hieåu Kinh Thaùnh, ñeán thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ.
18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, (o. pneuma) he spoke and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
18:25 Ngöôøi ñaõ hoïc ñaïo Chuùa; neân laáy loøng raát soát saéng maø giaûng vaø daïy kó caøng nhöõng ñieàu veà Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, daãu ngöôøi chæ bieát pheùp baùp-tem cuûa Giaêng maø thoâi.
18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
18:26 Vaäy, ngöôøi khôûi söï giaûng caùch daïn-dó trong nhaø hoäi. Beâ-rít-sin vaø A-qui-la nghe giaûng, beøn ñem ngöôøi veà vôùi mình, giaûi baøy ñaïo Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cho caøng kó löôõng hôn nöõa.
18:27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
18:27 Ngöôøi toan sang xöù A-chai, thì anh em giuïc loøng cho vaø vieát thô gôûi daën moân ñoà phaûi tieáp ñaõi ngöôøi töû teá. Khi tôùi roài, ngöôøi ñöôïc nhôø ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø boå ích cho keû ñaõ tin theo.
18:28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
18:28 Vì ngöôøi heát söùc beû baùc ngöôøi Giu-ña giöõa thieân haï, laáy Kinh Thaùnh maø baøy toû raèng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Ñaáng Christ.
19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
19:1 Trong khi A-boâ-loâ ôû thaønh Coâ-rinh-toâ, Phao-loâ ñaõ ñi khaép nhöõng mieàn treân, roài xuoáng thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ, gaëp moät vaøi moân ñoà ôû ñoù.
19:2 He said unto them, Have all of you received the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) since all of you believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
19:2 Ngöôøi hoûi raèng: Töø khi anh em tin, coù laõnh ñöôïc Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh chaêng! Traû lôøi raèng: Chuùng ta cuõng chöa nghe coù Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh naøo. Ngöôøi laïi hoûi: Vaäy thì anh em ñaõ chòu pheùp baùp-tem naøo?
19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were all of you baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
19:3 Traû lôøi raèng: Pheùp baùp-tem cuûa Giaêng.
19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
19:4 Phao-loâ beøn noùi raèng: Giaêng ñaõ laøm pheùp baùp-tem veà söï aên naên toäi, maø truyeàn daân phaûi tin Ñaáng seõ ñeán sau mình, nghóa laø tin Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.
19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:5 Chuùng nghe baáy nhieâu lôøi, beøn chòu pheùp baùp-tem nhôn danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.
19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.
19:6 Sau khi Phao-loâ ñaõ ñaët tay leân, thì coù Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh giaùng treân chuùng, cho noùi tieáng ngoaïi quoác vaø lôøi tieân tri.
19:7 And all the men were about twelve.
19:7 Coïng heát thaûy ñoä möôøi hai ngöôøi.
19:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
19:8 Phao-loâ vaøo nhaø hoäi, vaø trong ba thaùng giaûng luaän moät caùch daïn dó ôû ñoù; giaûi baøy nhöõng ñieàu veà nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø khuyeân doã caùc keû nghe mình.
19:9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spoke evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
19:9 Song vì coù maáy ngöôøi cöùng loøng, töø choái khoâng tin, gieøm cheâ ñaïo Chuùa tröôùc maët daân chuùng, thì ngöôøi phaân reõ hoï maø nhoùm caùc moân ñoà rieâng ra, vaø daïy doã haèng ngaøy trong tröôøng hoïc Ti-ra-nu.
19:10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word (o. logos) of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
19:10 Vieäc ñoù cöù luoân hai naêm, ñeán noãi moïi ngöôøi ôû trong coõi A-si, hoaëc ngöôøi Giu-ña hay laø ngöôøi Gôø-reùc, ñeàu nghe ñaïo Chuùa.
19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
19:11 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laïi duøng tay Phao-loâ laøm caùc pheùp laï khaùc thöôøng,
19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits (o. pneuma) went out of them.
19:12 ñeán noãi ngöôøi ta laáy khaên vaø aùo ñaõ baän vaøo mình ngöôøi maø ñeå treân caùc keû ñau yeáu; thì hoï ñöôïc laønh bònh, vaø ñöôïc cöùu khoûi quæ döõ.
19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits (o. pneuma) the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.
19:13 Baáy giôø coù maáy thaày tröø quæ laø ngöôøi Giu-ña ñi töø nôi naøy sang choã kia, maïo keâu danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus treân nhöõng keû bò quæ aùm, raèng: Ta nhôn Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus naày, laø Ñaáng maø Phao-loâ giaûng, ñeå truyeàn khieán chuùng bay.
19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
19:14 Caùc keû laøm vieäc ñoù laø baûy con trai cuûa Seâ-va, töùc laø moät ngöôøi trong boïn thaày teá leã caû Giu-ña.
19:15 And the evil spirit (o. pneuma) answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are all of you?
19:15 Song quæ döõ ñaùp laïi raèng: Ta bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, vaø roõ Phao-loâ laø ai; nhöng caùc ngöôi laø keû naøo?
19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit (o. pneuma) was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
19:16 Ngöôøi bò quæ döõ aùm beøn xaán vaøo chuùng, thaéng ñöôïc hai ngöôøi trong boïn vaø haønh haï döõ laém, ñeán noãi phaûi traàn truoàng vaø bò thöông, troán ra khoûi nhaø.
19:17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
19:17 Phaøm ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø ngöôøi Gôø-reùc naøo ôû thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ ñeàu bieát vieäc ñoù, thì sôï haõi, vaø danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñöôïc toân troïng.
19:18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.
19:18 Phaàn nhieàu keû ñaõ tin, ñeán xöng toäi vaø toû ra vieäc mình ñaõ laøm.
19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
19:19 Coù laém ngöôøi tröôùc theo ngheà phuø phaùp ñem saùch vôõ mình ñoát tröôùc maët thieân haï; ngöôøi ta tính giaù saùch ñoù, coïng laø naêm muoân ñoàng baïc.
19:20 So mightily grew the word (o. logos) of God and prevailed.
19:20 Aáy vaäy, nhôø quyeàn pheùp cuûa Chuùa, ñaïo beøn ñoàn ra, caøng ngaøy caøng ñöôïc thaéng,
19:21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, (o. pneuma) when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
19:21 caùc vieäc ñoù roài, Phao-loâ toan ñi ngang qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan vaø xöù A-chai, ñaëng ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem. Ngöôøi noùi raèng: Khi ta ñaõ thaêm thaønh ñoù roài, cuõng phaûi thaêm thaønh Roâ-ma nöõa.
19:22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.
19:22 Ngöôøi beøn sai hai ngöôøi giuùp ñôõ mình laø Ti-moâ-theâ vaø EÂ-raùt sang xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan, song chính ngöôøi coøn ôû laïi trong coõi A-si ít laâu nöõa.
19:23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
19:23 Luùc ñoù, coù söï loaïn lôùn sanh ra vì côù ñaïo Tin Laønh.
19:24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;
19:24 Moät ngöôøi thôï baïc kia, teân laø Ñeâ-meâ-triu, voán duøng baïc laøm khaùm nöõ thaàn Ñi-anh, sinh nhieàu lôïi cho thôï laøm coâng,
19:25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, all of you know that by this craft we have our wealth.
19:25 beøn nhoùm nhöõng thôï ñoù vaø nhöõng keû ñoàng nghieäp laïi, maø noùi raèng: Hôõi baïn ta, caùc ngöôi bieát söï thaïnh lôïi chuùng ta sanh bôûi ngheà naøy:
19:26 Moreover all of you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
19:26 caùc ngöôi laïi thaáy vaø nghe noùi, khoâng nhöõng taïi thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ thoâi, gaàn suoát heát coõi A-si nöõa, raèng teân Phao-loâ naøy ñaõ khuyeân doã vaø trôû loøng nhieàu ngöôøi, maø noùi raèng caùc thaàn bôûi tay ngöôøi ta laøm ra chaúng phaûi laø Chuùa.
19:27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.
19:27 Chuùng ta chaúng nhöõng sôï ngheà nghieäp phaûi bò gieøm cheâ, laïi cuõng e raèng ñeàn thôø cuûa ñaïi nöõ thaàn Ñi-anh bò khinh deå nöõa, vaø nöõ thaàn ta bò tieâu dieät veà söï vinh hieån maø coõi A-si vaø caû theá giôùi ñeàu toân kính chaêng.
19:28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
19:28 Chuùng nghe baáy nhieâu lôøi, beøn noãi giaän laém, caát tieáng keâu raèng: Lôùn thay laø nöõ thaàn Ñi-anh cuûa ngöôøi EÂ-pheâ-soâ!
19:29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
19:29 Caû thaønh thaûy ñeàu roái loaïn; chuùng ñoàng loøng ñeán raïp haùt, keùo theo mình Gai-uùt, A-ri-taït, laø ngöôøi Ma-xeâ-ñoan, baïn ñoàng ñi vôùi Phao-loâ.
19:30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.
19:30 Phao-loâ muoán chính mình ra maët tröôùc daân chuùng, nhöng moân ñoà chaúng cho.
19:31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
19:31 Cuõng coù maáy quan lôùn ôû xöù A-si, laø baïn höõu ngöôøi sai ñeán xin ngöôøi chôù ñi ñeán raïp haùt.
19:32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
19:32 Ngöôøi thì reo leân theå naày, keû thì la leân theå khaùc; vì trong hoäi om soøm, phaàn nhieàu ngöôøi cuõng khoâng bieát vì côù naøo mình nhoùm laïi.
19:33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.
19:33 Chuùng beøn keùo A-leùc-xan-ñô töø trong ñaùm ñoâng ra, vaø ngöôøi Giu-ña xoâ ngöôøi ra ñöùng tröôùc; ngöôøi beøn laáy tay ra daáu, muoán noùi cuøng daân chuùng ñeå binh vöïc boïn mình.
19:34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
19:34 Nhöng vöøa khi ñoaøn daân nhaän ngöôøi laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, thì keâu raäp leân öôùc trong hai giôø, raèng: Lôùn thay laø nöõ thaàn Ñi-anh cuûa ngöôøi EÂ-pheâ-soâ.
19:35 And when the public clerk had appeased the people, he said, All of you men of Ephesus, what man is there that knows not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
19:35 Baáy giôø, coù ngöôøi thô kyù thaønh phoá deïp yeân ñoaøn daân, noùi raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi EÂ-pheâ-soâ, haù coù ai chaúng bieát thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ laø canh giöõ ñeàn thôø nöõ thaàn lôùn Ñi-anh vaø töôïng thaàn aáy ñaõ töø treân trôøi giaùng xuoáng sao?
19:36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, all of you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
19:36 Bôûi ñieàu ñoù thaät choái caõi chaúng noãi, neân caùc ngöôi khaù ôû yeân, ñöøng laøm söï gì voäi vaû.
19:37 For all of you have brought here these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
19:37 Vì nhöõng teân maø caùc ngöôi ñaõ keùo ñeán ñaây, chaúng phaûi maéc toäi hoaëc phaïm ñeán cuûa thaùnh, hay laøm loäng ngoân vôùi nöõ thaàn chuùng ta ñaâu.
19:38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter (o. logos) against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them sue one another.
19:38 Vaäy, neáu Ñeâ-meâ-triu vaø caùc thôï laøm coâng ôû vôùi ngöôøi coù caàn kieän caùo ai, thì ñaõ coù ngaøy xöû ñoaùn vaø quan traán thuû; maëc hoï kieän caùo nhau.
19:39 But if all of you enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
19:39 Ví baèng caùc ngöôi coù naøi vieäc khaùc nöõa, thì khaùc quyeát ñònh vieäc ñoù ôû trong hoäi ñoàng theo pheùp.
19:40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account (o. logos) of this concourse.
19:40 Vì e cho chuùng ta bò haïch veà söï daáy loaïn xaûy ra ngaøy hoâm nay, khoâng theå tìm leõ naøo ñeå binh vöïc söï nhoùm hoïp naøy.
19:41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
19:41 Ngöôøi noùi baáy nhieâu lôøi, beøn cho chuùng veà.
20:1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed in order to go into Macedonia.
20:1 Khi söï roái loaïn yeân roài Phao-loâ vôøi caùc moân ñoà ñeán, khuyeân baûo xong, thì töø giaõ maø ñi ñeán xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan.
20:2 And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, (o. logos) he came into Greece,
20:2 Ngöôøi traûi khaép trong mieàn naøy, duøng nhieàu lôøi khuyeân baûo caùc tín ñoà; roài tôùi nöôùc Gôø-reùc,
20:3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
20:3 ôû ñoù ba thaùng. Luùc gaàn xuoáng thuyeàn qua xöù Sy-ri thì ngöôøi Giu-ña laäp keá haïi ngöôøi, neân ngöôøi ñònh traûi qua xöù Ma-xeâ-ñoan maø tröôùc veà.
20:4 And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.
20:4 Soâ-ba-teâ, con Bi-ru, queâ thaønh Ñeâ-reâ, cuøng ñi vôùi ngöôøi, laïi coù A-ri-taït vaø Xeâ-cun-ñu queâ thaønh Teâ-sa-loâ-ni-ca, Gai-uùt queâ thaønh Ñeït-bô vaø Ti-moâ-theâ; Ti-chi-cô vaø Troâ-phin ñeàu queâ ôû coõi A-si.
20:5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.
20:5 Nhöõng ngöôøi naày ñi tröôùc, ñôïi chuùng ta taïi thaønh Troâ-aùch.
20:6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
20:6 Coøn chuùng ta, khi nhöõng ngaøy aên baùnh khoâng men qua roài, thì xuoáng thuyeàn taïi thaønh Phi-líp, trong naêm ngaøy gaëp nhau taïi thaønh Troâ-aùch, roài chuùng ta ôû laïi ñoù baûy ngaøy.
20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the next day; and continued his speech (o. logos) until midnight.
20:7 Ngaøy thöù nhöùt trong tuaàn leã, chuùng ta ñang nhoùm laïi ñeå beû baùnh; Phao-loâ phaûi ñi ngaøy mai, neân ngöôøi noùi chuyeän vôùi caùc moân ñoà, vaø cöù giaûng luoân cho ñeán nöõa ñeâm,
20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
20:8 coù nhieàu ñeøn trong phoøng cao maø chuùng ta ñöông nhoùm laïi.
20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third upper room, and was taken up dead.
20:9 Moät gaõ tuoåi treû teân laø Ô-tích, ngoài treân cöûa soå, nguû guïc trong khi Phao-loâ giaûng raát daøi; vaø bò nguû meâ quaù, neân töø taàng laàu thöù ba teù xuoáng, luùc ñôõ daäy ñaõ thaáy cheát roài.
20:10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
20:10 Nhöng, Phao-loâ böôùc xuoáng, nghieâng mình treân ngöôøi, oâm laáy maø noùi raèng: Chôù boái roái, linh hoàn coøn ôû trong ngöôøi.
20:11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

20:12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

20:13 And we went on board ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go on foot.
20:13 Coøn chuùng ta, thì ñi tröôùc, chaïy thuyeàn ñeán thaønh A-soát, laø nôi chuùng ta phaûi gaëp Phao-loâ; ngöôøi ñaõ ñònh vaäy, vì muoán ñi boä.
20:14 And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
20:14 Chuùng ta gaëp ngöôøi taïi thaønh A-soát, beøn ñem ngöôøi ñi vôùi, ñeán thaønh Mi-ti-len.
20:15 And we sailed thence, and came the next day opposite to Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
20:15 Roài ñi töø nôi ñoù, vaãn theo ñöôøng bieån, ngaøy mai ñeán ngang ñaûo Chi-oâ. Qua ngaøy sau, chuùng ta gheù vaøo thaønh Sa-moát, caùch moät ngaøy nöõa, thì tôùi thaønh Mi-leâ.
20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
20:16 Vì Phao-loâ ñaõ quyeát ñònh ñi qua tröôùc thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ xong khoâng döøng laïi taïi ñoù, e cho chaäm treã trong coõi A-si. Ngöôøi voäi ñi ñaëng coù theå ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem kòp trong ngaøy leã Nguõ Tuaàn.
20:17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
20:17 Baáy giôø, Phao-loâ sai ngöôøi ôû thaønh Mi-leâ ñi tôùi thaønh EÂ-pheâ-soâ môøi caùc tröôûng laõo trong Hoäi thaùnh ñeán.
20:18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, All of you know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
20:18 Khi caùc ngöôi aáy ñaõ nhoùm cuøng ngöôøi, ngöôøi noùi raèng: töø ngaøy toâi môùi ñeán coõi A-si, haèng aên ôû luoân vôùi anh em caùch naøo, anh em vaãn bieát,
20:19 Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
20:19 toâi haàu vieäc Chuùa caùch khieâm nhöôøng, phaûi nhieàu nöôùc maét, vaø ôû giöõa söï thöû thaùch maø ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaõ laäp möu haïi toâi.
20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,
20:20 Anh em bieát toâi chaúng treã naûi rao truyeàn moïi ñieàu ích lôïi cho anh em, chaúng daáu ñieàu chi heát, laïi bieát toâi ñaõ daïy anh em hoaëc giöõa coâng chuùng, hoaëc töø nhaø naày sang nhaø kia,
20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
20:21 giaûng cho ngöôøi Giu-ña nhö cho ngöôøi Gôø-reùc veà söï aên naên ñoái vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø ñöùc tin trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Chuùa chuùng ta.
20:22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit (o. pneuma) unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
20:22 Kìa, nay bò Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh raøng buoäc, toâi ñi ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, chaúng bieát ñieàu chi seõ xaûy ñeán cho toâi ôû ñoù;
20:23 Save that the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
20:23 duy Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñaõ baûo tröôùc cho toâi raèng töø thaønh naày sang thaønh khaùc daây xích vaø söï hoaïn naïn ñöông ñôïi toâi ñoù.
20:24 But none of these things (o. logos) move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
20:24 nhöng toâi chaúng keå söï soáng mình laø quí, mieãn chaïy cho xong vieäc dua toâi vaø chöùc vuï toâi ñaõ laõnh nôi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, ñeå maø laøm chöùng veà Tin Laønh cuûa ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.
20:25 And now, behold, I know that all of you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
20:25 Hieän baây giôø, toâi bieát raèng giöõa anh em maø toâi ñaõ gheù qua giaûng veà nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì chaúng coù moät ai seõ thaáy maët toâi nöõa.
20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
20:26 Neân böõa nay toâi noùi quyeát tröôùc maët caùc anh em raèng toâi tinh saïch veà huyeát anh em heát thaûy.
20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
20:27 Vì toâi khoâng treã naûi moät chuùt naøo ñeå toû ra cho bieát heát thaûy yù muoán cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.
20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.
20:28 Anh em haõy giöõ laáy mình, maø luoân caû baày maø Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñaõ laäp anh em laøm keû coi soùc, ñeå chaên Hoäi thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, maø Ngaøi ñaõ mua baèng chính huyeát mình.
20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
20:29 Coøn toâi bieát raèng sau khi toâi ñi seõ coù muoâng soùi döõ tôïn xen vaøo trong voøng anh em, chaúng tieác baày ñaâu;
20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
20:30 laïi giöõa anh em cuõng seõ coù nhöõng ngöôøi hung aùc daáy leân, raùng söùc doã moân ñoà theo hoï.
20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
20:31 Vaäy, haõy tænh thöùc nhôù laïi raèng trong ba naêm haèng ñeâm vaø ngaøy, toâi haèng chaûy nöôùc maét maø khuyeân baûo cho moïi ngöôøi luoân.
20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word (o. logos) of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
20:32 Baây giôø toâi giao phoù anh em cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø cho ñaïo cuûa ôn Ngaøi, laø giao phoù cho Ñaáng coù theå gaây döïng vaø ban gia taøi cho anh em chung vôùi heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi ñöôïc neân thaùnh.
20:33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
20:33 Toâi chaúng ham baïc, vaøng, hay laø aùo xoáng cuûa ai heát.
20:34 Yea, all of you yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
20:34 Chính anh em bieát raèng hai baøn tay naày ñaõ laøm ra söï caàn duøng cuûa toâi vaø cuûa ñoàng baïn toâi.
20:35 I have showed you all things, how that so labouring all of you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words (o. logos) of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
20:35 Toâi töø baûo luoân cho anh em raèng phaûi chòu khoù laøm vieäc nhö vaäy, ñeå giuùp ñôõ ngöôøi yeáu ñuoái, vaø nhôù laïi lôøi chính Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus coù phaùn raèng: Ban cho thì coù phöôùc hôn nhaän laõnh.
20:36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
20:36 Phao-loâ noùi lôøi ñoù xong, beøn quì xuoáng maø caàu nguyeän vôùi heát thaûy caùc ngöôøi aáy.
20:37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
20:37 Ai naáy ñeàu khoùc laém oâm laáy coå Phao-loâ maø hoân,
20:38 Sorrowing most of all for the words (o. logos) which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
20:38 laáy laøm buoàn böïc nhöùt laø vì nghe ngöôøi noùi raèng anh em seõ chaúng thaáy maët mình nöõa. Ñoaïn, ñöa ngöôøi xuoáng taøu.
21:1 And it came to pass, that after we were got from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
21:1 Chuùng ta phaân reõ caùc ngöôi ñoù xong, beøn xuoáng taøu, ñi thaúng ñeán thaønh Coát, naøy hoâm sau tôùi thaønh Roâ-ñô, vaø töø ñoù ñeán thaønh Ba-ta-ra.
21:2 And finding a ship sailing over unto Phenicia, we went aboard, and set forth.
21:2 ôû ñoù gaëp moät chieác taøu, döông buoàm chaïy qua xöù Pheâ-ni-xi; chuùng ta beøn xuoáng ñi.
21:3 Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unload her burden.
21:3 Thaáy ñaûo Chíp-rô, thì traùnh beân höõu, cöù theo ñöôøng ñeán xöù Sy-ri, ñaäu taïi thaønh Ty-rô, vì taøu phaûi caát haøng hoùa taïi ñoù.
21:4 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, (o. pneuma) that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
21:4 Chuùng ta ñi tìm ñöôïc caùc moân ñoà roài, beøn ôû laïi vôùi hoï baûy ngaøy. Caùc moân ñoà chòu Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh caûm ñoäng, daën Phao-loâ chôù leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
21:5 And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.
21:5 nhöng, khi kyø taïm truù chuùng ta ñaõ qua, thì laïi ñi; caû moân ñoà vôùi vôï con ñeàu tieãn chuùng ta ra ñeán ngoaøi thaønh, ai naáy ñeàu quì xuoáng treân bôø, cuøng nhau caàu nguyeän,
21:6 And when we had taken our leave one of another, we took ship; and they returned home again.
21:6 roài töø giaõ nhau. Ñoaïn, chuùng ta xuoáng taøu; moân ñoà trôû veà nhaø.
21:7 And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.
21:7 Coøn chuùng ta ñi heát ñöôøng thuûy, thì ôû thaønh Ty-rô sang thaønh Beâ-loâ-leâ-mai, chaøo thaêm anh em vaø ôû laïi vôùi hoï moät ngaøy.
21:8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
21:8 Ngaøy mai, chuùng ta ôû nôi ñoù ñi, ñeán thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ; vaøo nhaø Phi-líp, laø ngöôøi giaûng Tin Laønh, moät trong baûy thaày phoù teá, roài ôû laïi ñoù.
21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
21:9 Ngöôøi coù boán con gaùi ñoàng trinh hay noùi tieân tri.
21:10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
21:10 Chuùng ta ôû ñoù ñaõ maáy ngaøy, coù moät ngöôøi tieân tri teân laø A-ga-buùt ôû xöù Giu-ñeâ xuoáng.
21:11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus says the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owns this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
21:11 Ngöôøi ñeán thaêm chuùng ta, roài laáy daây löng cuûa Phao-loâ troùi chôn tay mình, maø noùi raèng: naày laø lôøi Ñöùc Thaùnh-Linh phaùn: Taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, daân Giu-ña seõ troùi ngöôøi coù daây löng naày nhö vaäy, maø noäp trong tay ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaïo.
21:12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
21:12 Khi ñaõ nghe baáy nhieâu lôøi, thì caùc tín ñoà nôi ñoù vaø chuùng ta ñeàu xin Phao-loâ ñöøng leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
21:13 Then Paul answered, What mean all of you to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
21:13 Nhöng ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Anh em laøm chi maø khoùc loùc cho nao loøng toâi? Vì phaàn toâi saün loøng chaúng nhöõng ñeå bò troùi thoâi, laïi cuõng saün loøng vì danh Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus chòu cheát taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem nöõa.
21:14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
21:14 Ngöôøi chaúng khöùng chòu khuyeân doã, thì chuùng ta khoâng eùp nöõa, maø noùi raèng: Xin cho yù muoán cuûa Chuùa ñöôïc neân!
21:15 And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.
21:15 Qua nhöõng ngaøy ñoù, chuùng ta saém söûa, roài leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
21:16 There went with us also certain of the disciples of Caesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an old disciple, with whom we should lodge.
21:16 Coù maáy ngöôøi moân ñoà ôû thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ cuõng ñeán ñoù vôùi chuùng ta, daãn chuùng ta vaøo nhaø teân Ma-na-soân kia, queâ ôû Chíp-rô, laø moät moân ñoà laâu nay, vaø ngöôøi cho chuùng ta troï taïi nhaø mình.
21:17 And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
21:17 Chuùng ta ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, thì anh em vui möøng tieáp röôùc.
21:18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
21:18 Böõa sau, Phao-loâ ñi vôùi chuùng ta tôùi nhaø Gia-cô; coù heát thaûy caùc tröôûng laõo nhoùm hoïp taïi ñoù.
21:19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
21:19 Phao-loâ chaøo möøng caùc ngöôøi ñoù roài, beøn thuaät laïi töøng ñieàu moïi söï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ bôûi chöùc vuï mình laøm ra trong ngöôøi ngoaïi.
21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
21:20 Caùc ngöôøi aáy nghe vaäy thì ngôïi khen Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Ñoaïn, noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Anh ôi, anh thaáy bieát maáy vaïn ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaõ tin, vaø heát thaûy ñeàu soát saéng veà luaät phaùp.
21:21 And they are informed of you, that you teach all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
21:21 Vaû, chuùng ñaõ hay raèng anh daïy caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû trong caùc daân ngoaïi raèng phaûi töø boû Moâi-se, chôù neân laøm pheùp caét bì cho con mình, hay laø aên ôû theo thoùi tuïc mình nöõa.
21:22 What is it therefore? the multitude must essentially come together: for they will hear that you are come.
21:22 Vaäy, khaù lo lieäu laøm sao? Chaéc raèng daân chuùng seõ nhoùm laïi; vì haún seõ bieát raèng anh ñaõ tôùi roài.
21:23 Do therefore this that we say to you: We have four men which have a vow on them;
21:23 Neân, haõy laøm theo nhö chuùng toâi seõ noùi cho anh: Chuùng toâi ñaây coù boán ngöôøi ñeàu maéc lôøi theà;
21:24 Them take, and purify yourself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning you, are nothing; but that you yourself also walk orderly, and keep the law.
21:24 haõy ñem boán ngöôøi ñoù cuøng ñi, laøm leã tinh saïch cho mình luoân vôùi hoï, vaø haõy chòu tieàn hoï phaûi traû ñeå caïo ñaàu. Vaäy thì ai naáy seõ bieát moïi tin ñoàn veà anh ñeàu chaúng thaät, song roõ anh cuõng aên ôû theo luaät phaùp vaäy.
21:25 As concerning the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
21:25 Coøn ngöôøi ngoaïi ñaõ tin, chuùng toâi coù vieát thô cho hoï veà ñieàu chuùng toâi ñaõ ñònh: laø chæ phaûi kieâng aên cuûa cuøng thaàn töôïng, huyeát vaø thuù vaät cheát ngoäp, cuøng chôù gian daâm.
21:26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
21:26 Phao-loâ beøn ñem boán ngöôøi cuøng ñi, vöøa ñeán ngaøy sau, laøm leã tinh saïch cuøng hoï, roài vaøo trong ñeàn thôø, ñaëng toû ra ngaøy naøo kyø tinh saïch seõ troïn, vaø daâng cuûa leã veà moãi ngöôøi trong boïn mình.
21:27 And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,
21:27 Khi baûy ngaøy gaàn troïn, thì caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña, queâ A-si, thaáy Phao-loâ trong ñeàn thôø, beøn xui caû ñoaøn daân daáy loaïn, roài baét ngöôøi,
21:28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teaches all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and has polluted this holy place.
21:28 maø keâu leân raèng: Hôõi caùc ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân, haõy ñeán giuùp vôùi! Kìa, ngöôøi naày giaûng daïy khaép thieân haï, nghòch cuøng daân, nghòch cuøng luaät phaùp, vaø nghòch cuøng choán naøy nöõa, ñeán ñoãi haén daãn ngöôøi Gôø-reùc vaøo trong ñeàn thôø, vaø laøm cho nôi thaùnh naày bò oâ ueá.
21:29 (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
21:29 Soá laø, chuùng tröôùc ñaõ thaáy Troâ-phim, ngöôøi EÂ-pheâ-soâ, ôû vôùi Phao-loâ taïi trong thaønh phoá, neân ngôø raèng Phao-loâ ñaõ daãn ngöôøi vaøo ñeàn thôø.
21:30 And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.
21:30 Caû thaønh ñeàu xoân xao, daân chuùng chaïy nhoùm laïi ñoaøn ñoâng, baét Phao-loâ, keùo ra khoûi ñeàn thôø, töùc thì caùc cöûa ñeàu ñoùng laïi.
21:31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
21:31 Chuùng ñöông tìm phöông gieát ngöôøi, thì tieáng ñoàn ñeán quan quaûn cô raèng caû thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa lem-ñeàu xoân xao.
21:32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.
21:32 Ngöôøi laäp töùc baét quaân lính vaø cai ñoäi keùo ñeán nôi chuùng. Vöøa thaáy quaûn cô vaø quaân lính thì chuùng thoâi khoâng ñaùnh Phao-loâ nöõa.
21:33 Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
21:33 Quaûn cô beøn tôùi gaàn, baét ngöôøi roài truyeàn laáy hai caùi xích xích laïi; ñoaïn, hoûi ngöôøi laø ai, vaø ñaõ laøm vieäc gì.
21:34 And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
21:34 Trong ñoaøn daân, keû reo leân theå naày, ngöôøi la leân theå khaùc; nhôn söï roái loaïn, ngöôøi khoâng bieát ñöôïc chaéc, neân daïy ñieäu veà ñoàn.
21:35 And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.
21:35 Luùc Phao-loâ böôùc leân theàm, quaân lính phaûi khieâng ngöôøi ñi, bôûi côù ñoaøn daân hung baïo laém.
21:36 For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
21:36 Vì coù ñaùm daân theo sau ñoâng maø keâu raèng: Haõy gieát ñi!
21:37 And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto you? Who said, Can you speak Greek?
21:37 Luùc Phao-loâ vaøo ñoàn, thì noùi vôùi quaûn cô raèng: Toâi coù pheùp noùi vôùi oâng ñoâi ñieàu chaêng? Quaûn cô traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôøi bieát noùi tieáng Gôø-reùc sao?
21:38 Are not you that Egyptian, which before these days made an uproar, and led out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
21:38 Vaäy thì ngöôi haún chaúng phaûi laø ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ kia, ngaøy tröôùc ñaõ gaây loaïn, keùo boán ngaøn keû cöôùp vaøo nôi ñoàng vaéng hay sao?
21:39 But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I plead to you, suffer me to speak unto the people.
21:39 Phao-loâ traû lôøi raèng: Toâi laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, voán ôû thaønh Taït-sô, cung ñieän cuûa moät thaønh trong xöù Si-li-si töùc laø thaønh coù danh tieáng; xin haõy cho pheùp toâi noùi vôùi chuùng daân.
21:40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spoke unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
21:40 Ñöôïc pheùp roài, Phao-loâ ñöùng treân theàm, giô tay ra daáu cho daân. Ñaâu ñoù yeân laëng, ngöôøi beøn noùi tieáng Heâ-bô-rô raèng:
22:1 Men, brethren, and fathers, hear all of you my defence which I make now unto you.
22:1 Hôõi caùc anh caùc cha, haõy nghe ñieàu toâi ñöông noùi vôùi ñeå binh vöïc mình.
22:2 (And when they heard that he spoke in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he says,)
22:2 Khi chuùng nghe ngöôøi noùi tieáng Heâ-bô-rô, thì cuøng chaêm chæ boäi phaàn. Ngöôøi beøn noùi raèng:
22:3 I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as all of you all are this day.
22:3 Toâi laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, sanh taïi thaønh Taït-sô, trong söù Si-li-si, nhöng nuoâi taïi ñaây, trong thaønh naày, hoïc nôi chôn Ga-ma-li-eân, ñuùng theo trong luaät phaùp cuûa toå phuï chuùng ta. Voán toâi ñaày loøng soát saéng vì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, cuõng nhö caùc ngöôi hoâm nay vaäy.
22:4 And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
22:4 Toâi töøng baét bôù phe naày cho ñeán cheát, baát kyø ñôøn oâng ñôøn baø, ñeàu xieàng laïi boû vaø boû tuø:
22:5 As also the high priest does bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, in order to be punished.
22:5 veà ñieàu ñoù, thaày caû thöôïng phaåm cuøng caû hoäi ñoàng tröôûng laõo ñeàu laøm chöùng cho toâi; vì bôûi nhöõng ngöôøi ñoù maø toâi nhaän ñöôïc caùc thô gôûi cho anh em thaønh Ña-maùch, laø nôi toâi toan ñi, ñaëng baét troùi nhöõng ngöôøi ôû ñoù daãn veà thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeå xöû phaït.
22:6 And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
22:6 Vaû, luùc toâi ñöông ñi ñöôøng, gaàn ñeán thaønh Ña-maùch, ñoä ban tröa, thình lình coù aùnh saùng lôùn, töø treân trôø giaùng xuoáng, soi saùng chung quanh mình toâi.
22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me?
22:7 Toâi teù xuoáng ñaát, vaø nghe coù tieáng phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Hôõi Sau-lô, Sau-lô, laøm sao ngöôi baét bôù ta?
22:8 And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute.
22:8 Toâi traû lôøi raèng: Laïy Chuùa, Chuùa laø ai? Ngaøi phaùn: Ta laø Jeâsus ôû Na-xa-reùt maø ngöôi ñöông baét bôù ñaây.
22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spoke to me.
22:9 Nhöõng keû ñi vôùi toâi thaáy aùnh saùng roõ raøng, nhöng chaúng nghe tieáng cuûa Ñaáng phaùn cuøng toâi.
22:10 And I said, What shall I do, LORD? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told you of all things which are appointed for you to do.
22:10 Toâi beøn thöa: Laïy Chuùa, toâi phaûi laøm chi? Chuùa ñaùp raèng: Haõy chôø daäy, ñi ñeán thaønh Ña-maùch, ôû ñoù ngöôøi ta seõ noùi moïi ñieàu ñaõ truyeàn cho ngöôi laøm.
22:11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
22:11 Bôûi côù söï choùi loùi cuûa aùnh saùng ñoù, thì toâi chaúng thaáy ñöôïc, neân nhöõng keû cuøng ñi naém tay daét toâi ñeán thaønh Ña-maùch.
22:12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
22:12 Teân A-na-nia kia, laø ngöôøi nhôn ñöùc theo luaät phaùp, ñöôïc caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña truù taïi Ña-maùch ñeàu laøm chöùng toát, coù ñeán tìm toâi;
22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive your sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
22:13 ngöôøi ñöùng tröôùc maët toâi maø noùi raèng: Hôõi Sau-lô, anh toâi, haõy saùng maét, laïi. Lieàn moät luùc, toâi ñöôïc saùng maét, vaø xem thaáy A-na-nia.
22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know his will, and see that Just One, and should hear the voice of his mouth.
22:14 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi noùi vôùi toâi raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï chuùng ta ñaõ ñònh cho anh ñöôïc bieát yù muoán Chuùa, ñöôïc thaáy Ñaáng Coâng bình vaø nghe lôøi noùi töø mieäng Ngaøi.
22:15 For you shall be his witness unto all men of what you have seen and heard.
22:15 Vì anh seõ laøm chöùng cho Ngaøi tröôùc maët moïi ngöôøi, veà nhöõng vieäc anh ñaõ thaáy vaø nghe.
22:16 And now why tarry you? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
22:16 Baây giôø, anh coøn treã naûi laøm chi? Haõy chôø daäy, caàu khaån danh Chuùa maø chòu pheùp baùp-tem vaø laøm saïch toäi loãi mình ñi.
22:17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;
22:17 Ñeán luùc trôû veà thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, toâi ñöông caàu nguyeän trong ñeàn thôø, thì bò ngaát trí;
22:18 And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get you quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me.
22:18 thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Haõy voäi vaøng, laäp töùc ra khoûi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; vì hoï seõ chaúng nhaän lôøi ngöôi laøm chöùng veà ta ñaâu.
22:19 And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on you:
22:19 Toâi thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, chính hoï bieát toâi töøng boû tuø nhöõng ngöôøi tin Chuùa vaø ñaùnh ñoøn trong caùc nhaø hoäi nöõa.
22:20 And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.
22:20 Laïi khi EÂ-tieân laø keû laøm chöùng cho Chuùa bò ñoå maùu, toâi ôû ñoù ñaønh loøng vaø giöõ aùo xoáng nhöõng keû gieát ngöôøi.
22:21 And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send you far behind unto the Gentiles.
22:21 Chuùa beøn phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Haõy ñi, vì ta toan sai ngöôi ñi ñeán cuøng daân ngoaïi ôû nôi xa.
22:22 And they gave him audience unto this word, (o. logos) and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
22:22 Chuùng chòu nghe ngöôøi noùi ñeán ñoù, song ñeán caâu aáy, thì vuøng keâu leân raèng: Haõy caát ngöôøi döôøng aáy khoûi theá gian! Noù chaúng ñaùng soáng ñaâu!
22:23 And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,
22:23 Chuùng keâu la, coåi aùo, haát buïi bay leân giöõa khoaûng khoâng.
22:24 The chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he might know wherefore they cried so against him.
22:24 Quaûn cô beøn truyeàn ñieäu ngöôøi vaøo trong ñoàn, duøng roi maø tra ngöôøi, ñeå bieát vì côù gì chuùng keâu la nghòch cuøng ngöôøi.
22:25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
22:25 Hoï ñang caêng ngöôøi ra ñeå ñaùnh ñoøn, thì Phao-loâ noùi cuøng thaày ñoäi ñöông ñöùng ñoù raèng: Ngöôi ñöôïc pheùp ñaùnh ñoøn moät ngöôøi quoác daân Roâ-ma, maëc daàu ngöôøi ñoù chöa thaønh aùn, hay sao?
22:26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what you do: for this man is a Roman.
22:26 Vöøa nghe maáy lôøi ñoù, thaày ñoäi ñi thöa cuøng quaûn cô raèng: Oâng toan laøm chi? vì ngöôøi naày laø quoác daân Roâ-ma.
22:27 Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, are you a Roman? He said, Yea.
22:27 Quaûn cô ñeán, hoûi Phao-loâ raèng: Haõy noùi cho ta bieát, ngöôi coù phaûi laø quoác daân Roâ-ma chaêng? Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Phaûi.
22:28 And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.
22:28 Quaûn cô laïi noùi: Ta ñaõ mua ñöôïc quyeàn lôïi quoác daân ñoù cao giaù laém. Phao-loâ noùi: Coøn phaàn toâi thì coù quyeàn lôïi ñoù töø luùc môùi sinh ra roài.
22:29 Then immediately they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
22:29 Töùc thì, nhöõng keû tra khaûo ngöôøi ñeàu traùnh xa ra; vaø khi quaûn cô bieát ngöôøi mình ñaõ bieåu troùi laïi ñoù laø quoác daân Roâ-ma, thì sôï haõi.
22:30 On the next day, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.
22:30 Hoâm sau, quaûn cô muoán bieát cho ñuùng vì côù naøo Phao-loâ bò ngöôøi Giu-ña caùo, beøn sai môû troùi, truyeàn cho caùc thaày teá leã caû vaø caû toøa coâng luaän nhoùm laïi, roài daãn Phao-loâ ra, baét ñöùng tröôùc maët hoï.
23:1 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
23:1 Phao-loâ maét chaêm chæ treân toøa coâng luaän, noùi raèng: Hôõi caùc anh em, tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, toâi ñaõ aên ôû troïn löông taâm töû teá cho ñeán ngaøy nay.
23:2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to strike him on the mouth.
23:2 Nhöng thaày teá leã thöôïng phaåm laø A-na-nia bieåu maáy keû ñöùng gaàn Phao-loâ vaû mieäng ngöôøi.
23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall strike you, you whitewashed wall: for sit you to judge me after the law, and command me to be smitten contrary to the law?
23:3 Phao-loâ beøn noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Hôõi böùc töôøng toâ traéng kia, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ ñaùnh oâng; oâng ngoài ñeå xöû ñoaùn toâi theo luaät phaùp, maø laïi khoâng keå luaät phaùp, bieåu ngöôøi ñaùnh toâi!
23:4 And they that stood by said, Revile you God's high priest?
23:4 Nhöõng keû ñöùng ñoù noùi raèng: Ngöôi nhieác moùc thaày caû thöôïng phaåm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi sao!
23:5 Then said Paul, I know not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, You shall not speak evil of the ruler of your people.
23:5 Phao-loâ traû lôøi raèng: Hôõi anh em, toâi chaúng bieát laø thaày caû thöôïng phaåm; vì coù cheùp raèng: Chôù sæ nhuïc ngöôøi cai trò daân mình.
23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
23:6 Phao-loâ bieát trong boïn hoï phaàn thì ngöôøi Sa-ñu-seâ, phaàn thì ngöôøi Pha-ri-si, beøn keâu leân tröôùc toøa coâng luaän raèng: Hôõi anh em, toâi laø ngöôøi Pha-ri-si, con cuûa doøng Pha-ri-si. Aáy laø vì söï troâng caäy cuûa chuùng ta vaø söï soáng laïi cuûa nhöõng keû cheát maø toâi phaûi chòu xöû ñoaùn.
23:7 And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
23:7 Ngöôøi vöøa noùi xong nhö vaäy, thì söï caõi laãy noåi leân giöõa ngöôøi Pha-ri-si vôùi ngöôøi Sa-ñu-seâ, vaø hoäi ñoàng chia phe ra.
23:8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: (o. pneuma) but the Pharisees confess both.
23:8 Vì chöng ngöôøi Sa-ñu-seâ quyeát raèng khoâng coù söï soáng laïi, cuõng khoâng coù thieân söù, thaàn chi heát, coøn ngöôøi Pha-ri-si laïi nhaän caû hai ñieàu tin aáy.
23:9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit (o. pneuma) or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
23:9 Tieáng keâu la lôùn lieàn daäy leân. Coù maáy thaày thoâng giaùo veà doøng Pha-ri-si ñöùng daäy caõi laãy cuøng keû khaùc raèng: Chuùng ta chaúng thaáy trong ngöôøi naày coù ñieàu aùc gì. Naøo ai bieát chaúng phaûi thaàn hoaëc thieân söù ñaõ noùi cuøng ngöôøi?
23:10 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
23:10 Vì söï roái loaïn caøng theâm, quaûn cô e Phao-loâ bò chuùng phaân thaây chaêng, neân truyeàn quaân keùo xuoáng, ñaëng cöôùp ngöôøi ra khoûi giöõa ñaùm hoï vaø ñem veà trong ñoàn.
23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so must you bear witness also at Rome.
23:11 Qua ñeâm sau, Chuùa hieän ñeán cuøng ngöôøi maø phaùn raèng: Haõy giuïc loøng maïnh meõ, ngöôi ñaõ laøm chöùng cho ta taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem theå naøo, thì cuõng phaûi laøm chöùng cho ta taïi thaønh Roâ-ma theå aáy.
23:12 And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
23:12 Ñeán saùng, ngöôøi Giu-ña hoïp ñaûng laäp möu, maø theà nguyeän raèng chaúng aên chaúng uoáng cho ñeán gieát ñöôïc Phao-loâ.
23:13 And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.
23:13 Coù hôn boán möôi ngöôøi ñaõ laäp möu ñoù.
23:14 And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.
23:14 Hoï ñeán kieám caùc thaày teá leã caû vaø caùc tröôûng laõo maø raèng: Chuùng toâi ñaõ theà vôùi nhau raèng chaúng aên chi heát cho ñeán luùc gieát ñöôïc Phao-loâ.
23:15 Now therefore all of you with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you tomorrow, as though all of you would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, before even he comes near, are ready to kill him.
23:15 Vaäy baây giôø caùc oâng vôùi toøa coâng luaän haõy xin quaûn cô baét noù ñeán ñöùng tröôùc maët caùc oâng, nhö laø muoán tra xeùt vieäc noù cho kyõ caøng hôn nöõa; coøn chuùng toâi söûa soaïn saün ñeå khi noù chöa ñeán ñaây thì gieát ñi.
23:16 And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.
23:16 Nhöng coù con trai cuûa chò Phao-loâ bieát ñöôïc möu gian aáy, ñeán nôi ñoàn, vaøo noùi tröôùc cho Phao-loâ.
23:17 Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he has a certain thing to tell him.
23:17 Phao-loâ beøn goïi moät ñoäi tröôûng maø noùi raèng: haõy ñem gaõ trai treû naày ñeán cuøng quan quaûn cô, chaøng coù vieäc muoán baùo tin.
23:18 So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto you, who has something to say unto you.
23:18 Vaäy, ñoäi tröôûng ñem chaøng ñi, daãn ñeán nhaø quaûn cô, vaø thöa raèng: Teân tuø Phao-loâ coù goïi toâi bieåu ñem gaõ trai treû naày ñeán cuøng quan, chaøng coù vieäc muoán noùi.
23:19 Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that you have to tell me?
23:19 Quaûn cô naém tay ngöôøi trai treû, keùo xeâ ra, hoûi raèng: Ngöôi coù vieäc gì baùo tin cuøng ta?
23:20 And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire you that you would bring down Paul tomorrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.
23:20 Thöa raèng: Ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaõ ñònh xin quan, ñeán ngaøy mai, baét Phao-loâ ñöùng tröôùc toøa coâng luaän, nhö laø hoï muoán tra xeùt vieäc cuûa ngöôøi cho kyõ caøng hôn.
23:21 But do not you yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from you.
23:21 Nhöng xin quan chôù tin hoï, vì coù hôn boán möôi ngöôøi trong boïn hoï laäp keá haïi Phao-loâ, ñaõ theà nguyeän vôùi nhau chaúng aên uoáng chi heát tröôùc khi chöa gieát ñöôïc ngöôøi; hieän baây giôø, hoï ñaõ saém saün, chæ ñôïi quan traû lôøi ñoù thoâi.
23:22 So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See you tell no man that you have showed these things to me.
23:22 Quaûn cô cho gaõ trai treû aáy veà, caám khoâng cho noùi vôùi ai veà ñieàu ngöôøi ñaõ toû ra cuøng mình.
23:23 And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;
23:23 Ñoaïn, quaûn cô ñoøi hai vieân ñoäi tröôûng, daën raèng: Vöøa giôø thöù ba ñeâm nay, haõy saém saün hai traêm quaân, baûy möôi lính kî, hai traêm lính caàm giaùo, ñaëng ñi ñeán thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ.
23:24 And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.
23:24 Laïi cuõng phaûi saém ngöïa nöõa, ñeå ñöa Phao-loâ voâ söï ñeán nôi quan toång ñoác Pheâ-lít.
23:25 And he wrote a letter after this manner:
23:25 Ngöôøi laïi vieát cho quan ñoù moät böùc thô nhö sau naày:
23:26 Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sends greeting.
23:26 Cô-loát Ly-sia chuùc bình an cho quan lôùn toång ñoác Pheâ-lít!
23:27 This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.
23:27 Daân Giu-ña ñaõ baét ngöôøi naày, toan gieát ñi, khi toâi ñaõ ñem quaân ñeán thình lình maø cöôùp ngöôøi ra khoûi, vì ñaõ nghe ngöôøi laø quoác daân Roâ-ma.
23:28 And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council:
23:28 Bôûi toâi muoán bieát vì côù naøo hoï caùo ngöôøi, neân giaûi ngöôøi ñeán toøa coâng luaän.
23:29 Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.
23:29 Toâi thaáy ngöôøi bò caùo maáy vieäc veà luaät phaùp hoï, nhöng hoï khoâng kieän ngöôøi veà moät toäi naøo ñaùng cheát hay ñaùng tuø caû.
23:30 And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent immediately to you, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before you what they had against him. Farewell.
23:30 Song toâi coù nghe ngöôøi ta tính keá haïi ngöôøi naày, neân laäp töùc sai ngöôøi ñeán nôi quan, vaø cuõng cho caùc keû caùo ngöôøi bieát raèng phaûi ñeán tröôùc maët quan maø ñoái naïi.
23:31 Then the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris.
23:31 Vaäy, quaân lính ñem Phao-loâ ñi theo nhö maïng lònh mình ñaõ laõnh ñöông ban ñeâm, ñieäu ñeán thaønh An-ti-ba-tri.
23:32 On the next day they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the castle:
23:32 Saùng ngaøy, lính kî ñi vôùi ngöôøi, coøn quaân khaùc trôû veà ñoàn.
23:33 Who, when they came to Caesarea and delivered the epistle to the governor, presented Paul also before him.
23:33 nhöõng ngöôøi naày tôùi thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ, ñöa thô cho quan toång ñoác vaø ñem noäp Phao-loâ.
23:34 And when the governor had read the letter, he asked of what province he was. And when he understood that he was of Cilicia;
23:34 Quan toång ñoác ñoïc thô roài, beøn hoûi Phao-loâ voán ôû tænh naøo, vöøa bieát ngöôøi queâ tænh Si-li-si,
23:35 I will hear you, said he, when yours accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.
23:35 thì raèng: Luùc naøo boïn nguyeân caùo ñeán ñaây, ta seõ nghe ngöôi. Ñoaïn, truyeàn giöõ Phao-loâ laïi trong nôi coâng ñaøng Heâ-roát.
24:1 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
24:1 Sau ñoù naêm ngaøy, coù thaày caû thöôïng phaåm laø A-na-nia ñeán, vôùi vaøi ngöôøi tröôûng laõo cuøng moät nhaø dieãn thuyeát kia teân laø Teït-tu-lu, trình ñôn kieän Phao-loâ tröôùc maët quan toång ñoác.
24:2 And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by you we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by your providence,
24:2 Phao-loâ bò ñoøi ñeán roài, Teït-tu-lu khôûi söï caùo ngöôøi nhö vaày:
24:3 We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
24:3 Baåm quan lôùn Pheâ-lít, nhôø ôn quan maø chuùng toâi ñöôïc höôûng söï bình an troïn veïn, vaø nhôø söï khoân ngoan cuûa quan ñoåi ñöôïc moïi tình teä ñeå giuùp daân naày, luùc naøo vaø nôi naøo chuùng toâi cuõng raát caûm taï bieát ôn quan vaäy.
24:4 Notwithstanding, that I be not wearisome anymore unto you, I pray you that you would hear us of your clemency a few words.
24:4 Nhöng muoán cho khoûi phieàn quan laâu hôn, thì toâi xin quan laáy loøng khoan nhôn maø nghe moät vaøi lôøi chuùng toâi noùi ñaây.
24:5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
24:5 Vaäy, chuùng toâi ñaõ gaëp ngöôøi naày, nhö laø ñoà oân dòch, ñaõ gaây loaïn trong heát thaûy ngöôøi Giu-ña treân caû theá giôùi: noù laøm ñaàu phe ngöôøi Na-xa-reùt,
24:6 Who also has gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.

24:7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
24:7 Nhöng quaûn cô Ly-sia ñeán, baét noù khoûi tay chuùng toâi caùch hung baïo,
24:8 Commanding his accusers to come unto you: by examining of whom yourself may take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
24:8 truyeàn lònh cho caùc ngöôøi kieän noù haõy ñeán haàu quan. Xin chính quan haõy töï tra hoûi haén, thì seõ bieát ñöôïc moïi vieäc chuùng toâi ñang kieän caùo.
24:9 And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
24:9 Ñeán phieân caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña cuõng huøa theo lôøi ñoù, quyeát raèng thaät coù nhö vaäy.
24:10 Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that you have been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
24:10 Quan toång ñoác ra daáu bieåu Phao-loâ noùi ñi, thì ngöôøi thöa raèng: Toâi bieát quan laøm quan aùn trong nöôùc naày ñaõ laâu naêm, neân toâi daïn dó maø binh vöïc duyeân côù mình.
24:11 Because that you may understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem in order to worship.
24:11 Quan tra xeùt thì seõ bieát toâi vöøa leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem maø thôø laïy, chöa ñöôïc möôøi hai ngaøy nay.
24:12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
24:12 Ngöôøi ta chaúng töøng gaëp toâi, hoaëc trong ñeàn thôø, hoaëc trong nhaø hoäi, hoaëc trong thaønh phoá, caõi laãy cuøng ai hay xui daân laøm loaïn bao giôø.
24:13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
24:13 Baây giôø hoï cuõng chaúng bieát laáy chi maø laøm chöùng côù vieäc ñieàu hoï kieän toâi ñoù.
24:14 But this I confess unto you, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
24:14 Tröôùc maët quan, toâi nhaän raèng theo nhö ñaïo maø hoï goïi laø moät phe ñaûng, toâi thôø phöôïng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï toâi, tin moïi ñieàu cheùp trong saùch luaät vaø caùc saùch tieân tri;
24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
24:15 vaø toâi coù söï troâng caäy naày nôi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, nhö chính hoï cuõng coù vaäy, töùc laø seõ coù söï soáng laïi cuûa ngöôøi coâng bình vaø khoâng coâng bình.
24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.
24:16 Cuõng vì côù aáy, neân toâi vaãn gaéng söùc cho coù löông taâm khoâng traùch moùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø tröôùc maët loaøi ngöôøi.
24:17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
24:17 Vaû, ñaõ laâu naêm nay toâi ñi vaéng, roài môùi veà boá thí cho boån quoác toâi vaø daâng cuûa leã.
24:18 Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
24:18 Ñang khi aáy, coù maáy ngöôøi Giu-ña queâ ôû coõi A-si kia gaëp toâi ôû trong ñeàn thôø, ñöôïc tinh saïch, chôù chaúng coù daân ñoâng hay roái loaïn chi.
24:19 Who ought to have been here before you, and object, if they had ought against me.
24:19 Neáu hoï coù ñieàu gì kieän toâi, thì coù leõ ñeán haàu tröôùc maët quan maø caùo ñi.
24:20 Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
24:20 Hay laø caùc ngöôøi ôû ñaây phaûi noùi cho bieát ñaõ thaáy toâi coù söï gì ñaùng toäi, luùc toâi ñöùng taïi toøa coâng luaän,
24:21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
24:21 hoaëc coù, thì cuõng chæ traùch caâu toâi noùi giöõa hoï raèng: Aáy vì söï soáng laïi cuûa keû cheát maø hoâm nay toâi bò xöû ñoaùn tröôùc maët caùc oâng.
24:22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
24:22 Pheâ-lít vaãn bieát roõ raøng veà ñaïo ngöôøi noùi ñoù, neân giaõn vieäc kieän ra, maø raèng: khi naøo quan quaûn cô Ly-sia xuoáng, ta seõ xeùt vieäc naày.
24:23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
24:23 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi truyeàn cho thaày ñoäi giöõ Phao-loâ, nhöng phaûi cho ngöôøi hôi ñöôïc thong thaû, coù keû naøo thuoäc veà ngöôøi ñeán haàu vieäc ngöôøi, thì ñöøng caám.
24:24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
24:24 Qua maáy ngaøy sau, Pheâ-lít vôùi vôï mình laø Ñô-ru-si, ngöôøi Giu-ña, ñeán, roài sai goïi Phao-loâ, vaø nghe ngöôøi noùi veà ñöùc tin trong Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ.
24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, wilful restrain, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go your way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for you.
24:25 Nhöng khi Phao-loâ noùi veà söï coâng bình, söï tieát ñoä vaø söï phaùn xeùt ngaøy sau, thì Pheâ-lít run sôï, noùi raèng: Baây giôø ngöôi haõy lui; ñôïi khi naøo ta raûnh, seõ goïi laïi.
24:26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
24:26 Pheâ-lít cuõng troâng Phao-loâ loùt baïc cho mình; neân naêng ñoøi ngöôøi ñeán, vaø noùi chuyeän cuøng ngöôøi.
24:27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to show the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
24:27 Khoûi hai naêm, Boát-tiu Pheâ-tu ñeán thay Pheâ-lít. Bôûi côù Pheâ-lít muoán laøm cho daân Giu-ña baèng loøng, beøn cöù giam Phao-loâ nôi nguïc.
25:1 Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
25:1 Pheâ-tu ñaõ ñeán tænh mình ñöôïc ba ngaøy roài, thì ôû thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ ñi leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
25:2 Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,
25:2 Taïi ñoù, coù caùc thaày teá leã caû vaø caùc ngöôøi sang troïng trong daân Giu-ña ñoäi ñôn kieän Phao-loâ tröôùc maët ngöôøi;
25:3 And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
25:3 vì coù yù nghòch, thì coá naøi xin quan laøm ôn ñoøi Phao-loâ trôû veà thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem: hoï aâm möu ñaëng gieát ngöôøi doïc ñöôøng.
25:4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
25:4 Nhöng Pheâ-tu traû lôøi raèng Phao-loâ bò giam taïi thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ, vaø chính mình ngöôøi seõ kíp trôû veà thaønh ñoù.
25:5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
25:5 Laïi noùi raèng nhöõng ngöôøi toân tröôûng trong caùc ngöôi haõy xuoáng vôùi ta, neáu ngöôøi aáy coù phaïm toäi gì thì haõy cöù kieän.
25:6 And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.
25:6 Pheâ-tu ôû cuøng hoï vöøa taùm hay laø möôøi ngaøy maø thoâi, ñoaïn trôû xuoáng thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ; saùng ngaøy sau, ngöôøi ngoài nôi toøa aùn vaø truyeàn daãn Phao-loâ ñeán.
25:7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
25:7 Phao-loâ môùi ñeán, thì coù caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem xuoáng vaây boïc ngöôøi, laáy nhieàu côù naëng maø thöa, nhöng chaúng tìm ñöôïc chöùng.
25:8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
25:8 Coøn Phao-loâ noùi ñaëng binh vöïc mình, raèng: Toâi chaúng töøng laøm ñieàu döõ chi, hoaëc nghòch cuøng luaät phaùp ngöôøi Giu-ña, hoaëc nghòch cuøng ñeàn thôø, hay laø nghòch cuøng Seâ-sa.
25:9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Will you go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
25:9 Nhöng Pheâ-tu muoán cho ñeïp loøng daân Giu-ña, thì traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôi coù muoán leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem chòu xöû taïi ñoù veà nhöõng vieäc naày tröôùc maët ta chaêng?
25:10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as you very well know.
25:10 Phao-loâ beøn thöa raèng: Toâi öùng haàu tröôùc maët toøa aùn Seâ-sa, aáy laø nôi toâi phaûi chòu xöû; toâi chaúng coù loãi chi vôùi ngöôøi Giu-ña, nhö chính mình bieát roõ raøng.
25:11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.
25:11 Ví baèng toâi coù toäi hay laø phaïm ñieàu gì ñaùng cheát, thì toâi chaúng töø choái cheát ñaâu; traùi laïi, neáu trong ñôn töø hoï kieän toâi khoâng coù côù gì heát, thì chaúng ai ñöôïc noäp toâi cho hoï. Toâi keâu naøi söï ñoù ñeán Seâ-sa.
25:12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Have you appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shall you go.
25:12 Keá ñoù, Pheâ-tu baøn taùn vôùi coâng hoäi mình, beøn traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôi ñaõ keâu naøi Seâ-sa, chaéc seõ ñeán nôi Seâ-sa.
25:13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.
25:13 Caùch ñoù maáy ngaøy, vua Aïc-ríp-ba vôùi Beâ-reâ-nít ñeán thaønh Seâ-sa-reâ ñaëng chaøo Pheâ-tu.
25:14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:
25:14 Vì hai ngöôøi ôû laïi ñoù maáy ngaøy, neân Pheâ-tu ñem vuï Phao-loâ trình vôùi vua, raèng: Ñaây coù moät teân tuø maø Pheâ-lít ñaõ ñeå laïi.
25:15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
25:15 Luùc toâi ôû thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, caùc thaày teá leã caû vaø caùc tröôûng laõo daân Giu-ña ñeán kieän ngöôøi vaø xin toâi laøm aùn ngöôøi ñi.
25:16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
25:16 Toâi ñaùp laïi raèng ngöôøi Roâ-ma chaúng coù leä giaûi noäp moät ngöôøi naøo maø beân bò caùo chöa ñoái naïi vôùi beân tieân caùo, vaø ngöôøi ñoù chöa coù caùch theá ñeå choáng caõi lôøi kieän caùo mình.
25:17 Therefore, when they were come here, without any delay on the next day I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.
25:17 Hoï beøn ñeán ñaây, thì vöøa ngaøy sau, toâi ra ngoài nôi toøa aùn, khoâng treã naûi maø truyeàn daãn ngöôøi aáy ñeán.
25:18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
25:18 Caùc ngöôøi kieän caùo ñeàu ñaõ coù maët, song khoâng kieän noù veà moät toäi gì nhö toâi ñaõ deø chöøng.
25:19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
25:19 Chæ caùo noù veà ñaïo rieâng cuûa hoï, vaø moät teân Jeâsus ñaõ cheát kia, maø Phao-loâ quyeát raèng coøn soáng.
25:20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.
25:20 Trong söï caõi laãy ñoù, toâi khoâng bieát theo beân naøo, neân hoûi Phao-loâ muoán ñi ñeán thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñeå chòu xöû moïi ñieàu aáy taïi nôi ñoù chaêng.
25:21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
25:21 Nhöng noù ñaõ keâu naøi ñeå vieäc kieän minh laïi cho hoaøng ñeá phaân xöû. Vaäy toâi ñaõ truyeàn giam noù trong nguïc ñôïi tôùi khi toâi giaûi cho Seâ-sa.
25:22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. Tomorrow, said he, you shall hear him.
25:22 Aïc-ríp-ba beøn noùi vôùi Pheâ-tu raèng: Ta cuõng muoán nghe ngöôøi aáy. Pheâ-tu taâu raèng: Ñeán mai vua seõ nghe.
25:23 And on the next day, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.
25:23 Vaäy, qua böõa sau, vua Aïc-ríp-ba vôùi Beâ-reâ-nít ñeán caùch long troïng vaøo phoøng xöû kieän vôùi quan quaûn cô vaø caùc ngöôøi toân tröôûng trong thaønh. Pheâ tu beøn truyeàn lònh ñieäu Phao-loâ ñeán.
25:24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, all of you see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25:24 Ñoaïn, Pheâ-tu raèng: Taâu vua Aïc-ríp-ba vaø heát thaûy caùc oâng coù maët taïi ñaây, caùc oâng ñeàu thaáy ngöôøi naày, vì côù noù neân thay thaûy daân chuùng Giu-ña ñeán naøi xin ôn toâi, taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø toâi ñaây cuõng vaäy, maø keâu leân raèng chaúng khaù ñeå cho noù soáng nöõa.
25:25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself has appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
25:25 Phaàn toâi, ñaõ xeùt noù chaúng coù laøm ñieàu gì ñaùng toäi cheát; vaø vì chính noù cuõng ñaõ keâu naøi vieäc ñoù ñeán Seâ-sa, neân toâi ñònh giaûi noäp cho Seâ-sa.
25:26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before you, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
25:26 Nhöng vì toâi khoâng coù ñieàu chi quaû quyeát ñeå laøm sôù taáu hoaøng ñeá veà vieäc noù, neân ñoøi noù ñeán tröôùc maët caùc oâng, nhöùt laø tröôùc maët vua, laø Aïc-ríp-ba, ñaëng khi tra hoûi roài, toâi coù ñieàu ñeå vieát sôù.
25:27 For it seems to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not likewise to signify the crimes laid against him.
25:27 Vaû, toâi nghó raèng giaûi moät teân phaïm maø chaúng noùi roõ ñieàu ngöôøi ta kieän noù, thì laø traùi leõ laém.
26:1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, You are permitted to speak for yourself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
26:1 Baáy giôø vua Aïc-ríp-ba bieåu Phao-loâ raèng: Ngöôi ñöôïc pheùp noùi ñeå chöõa mình. Phao-loâ beøn giô tay ra, chöõa cho mình nhö vaày:
26:2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before you concerning all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
26:2 Taâu vua Aïc-ríp-ba, toâi laáy laøm may maø hoâm nay ñöôïc gôõ mình toâi tröôùc maët vua veà moïi ñieàu ngöôøi Giu-ña kieän toâi,
26:3 Especially because I know you to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I plead to you to hear me patiently.
26:3 nhöùt laø vì vua ñaõ roõ moïi thoùi tuïc ngöôøi Giu-ña, vaø cuõng bieát söï caõi laãy cuûa hoï. Vaäy, xin vua haõy nhòn nhuïc maø nghe toâi.
26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
26:4 Caùch aên neát ôû cuûa toâi töø luùc tuoåi treû, nôi giöõa boån quoác toâi vaø taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, thì moïi ngöôøi Giu-ña ñeàu bieát caû.
26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
26:5 Ví baèng hoï muoán laøm chöùng veà vieäc naày, thì bieát töø laâu ngaøy roài, toâi laø ngöôøi Pha-ri-si, theo phe ñoù, raát laø nghieâm hôn trong ñaïo chuùng toâi.
26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
26:6 Hieän nay toâi bò ñoaùn xeùt, vì troâng caäy lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ höùa cuøng toå phuï chuùng toâi,
26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
26:7 laïi möôøi hai chi phaùi chuùng toâi, laáy loøng soát saéng thôø phöôïng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, caû ñeâm vaø ngaøy, maø troâng ñôïi lôøi höùa aáy ñöôïc troïn. Muoân taâu, thaät laø vì söï troâng caäy ñoù maø toâi bò ngöôøi Giu-ña kieän caùo.
26:8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
26:8 Uûa naøo! caùc oâng haù laïi ngôø chaúng coù theå tin ñöôïc raèng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khieán nhöõng keû cheát soáng laïi sao?
26:9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
26:9 Thaät, chính mình toâi ñaõ tin raèng neân duøng ñuû moïi caùch theá maø choáng laïi danh Jeâsus ôû Na-xa-reùt.
26:10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
26:10 Thaät toâi ñaõ laøm söï naày taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem: sau khi ñaõ chòu quyeàn cuûa caùc thaày teá leã caû, thì toâi boû tuø nhieàu ngöôøi thaùnh; vaø luùc hoï gieát caùc ngöôøi ñoù, toâi cuõng ñoàng moät yù.
26:11 And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
26:11 Vaû laïi, toâi thöôøng traûy ñi töø nhaø hoäi naày ñeán nhaø hoäi kia, haø hieáp hoï, ñeå baét hoï phaûi noùi phaïm thöôïng, toâi laïi noåi giaän quaù boäi baét bôù hoï cho ñeán caùc thaønh ngoaïi quoác.
26:12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
26:12 Aáy vaäy, toâi leân thaønh Ña-maùch coù troïn quyeàn vaø pheùp bôûi caùc thaày teá leã caû, ñöông ñi doïc ñöôøng,
26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
26:13 muoân taâu, luùc giöõa tröa, toâi thaáy coù aùnh saùng töø treân trôøi giaùng xuoáng, choùi loùi hôn maët trôøi, saùng loøa chung quanh toâi vaø keû cuøng ñi.
26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me? it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.
26:14 Chuùng toâi thaûy ñeàu teù xuoáng ñaát, vaø toâi nghe tieáng phaûi cuøng toâi baèng tieáng Heâ-bô-rô raèng: Hôõi Sau-lô, Sau-lô, sao ngöôi baét-bôù ta? ngöôi ñaù ñeán ghim nhoïn thì laø khoù chòu cho ngöôi vaäy.
26:15 And I said, Who are you, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom you persecute.
26:15 Toâi thöa: Laïy Chuùa, Chuùa laø ai? Chuùa ñaùp raèng: Ta laø Jeâsus maø ngöôi ñöôøng baét bôù.
26:16 But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you;
26:16 Song haõy chôø daäy, vaø ñöùng leân, vì ta ñaõ hieän ra cho ngöôi ñeå laäp ngöôi laøm chöùc vieäc vaø laøm chöùng veà nhöõng vieäc ngöôi ñaõ thaáy, cuøng nhöõng vieäc ta seõ hieän ñeán maùch cho ngöôi.
26:17 Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send you,
26:17 Ta seõ baûo hoä ngöôi khoûi daân naày vaø daân ngoaïi laø nôi ta sai ngöôi ñeán,
26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
26:18 ñaëng môû maét hoï, haàu cho hoï töø toái taêm maø qua saùng laùng, töø quyeàn löïc cuûa quæ Sa-tan maø ñeán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø cho hoï bôûi ñöùc tin nôi ta ñöôïc söï tha toäi, cuøng phaàn gia taøi vôùi caùc thaùnh ñoà.
26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
26:19 Taâu vua Aïc-ríp-ba, töø ñoù, toâi chaúng heà daùm choáng cöï vôùi söï hieän thaáy treân trôøi;
26:20 But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
26:20 nhöng ñaàu heát toâi khuyeân doã ngöôøi thaønh Ña-maùch, keá ñeán ngöôøi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø caû xöù Giu-ñeâ, roài ñeán caùc daân ngoaïi raèng phaûi aên naên vaø trôû laïi cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laøm coâng vieäc xöùng ñaùng vôùi söï aên naên.
26:21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
26:21 Kìa, vì theá neân ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaõ baét toâi trong ñeàn thôø vaø toan gieát toâi.
26:22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
26:22 Song nhôø ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi baûo hoä, toâi coøn soáng ñeán ngaøy nay, laøm chöùng cho caùc keû lôùn nhoû, khoâng noùi chi khaùc hôn laø ñieàu caùc ñaáng tieân tri vaø Moâi-se ñaõ noùi seõ ñeán,
26:23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
26:23 töùc laø Ñaáng Christ phaûi chòu thöông khoù, vaø bôûi söï soáng laïi tröôùc nhöùt töø trong keû cheát, phaûi rao truyeàn aùnh saùng ra cho daân söï vaø ngöôøi ngoaïi.
26:24 And as he thus spoke for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, you are out of your mind; much learning does make you mad.
26:24 ngöôøi ñang noùi nhö vaäy ñeå binh vöïc mình, thì Pheâ-tu noùi lôùn leân raèng: Hôõi Phao-loâ, ngöôi laûng trí roài; ngöôi hoïc bieát nhieàu quaù ñeán ñoãi ra ñieân cuoàng.
26:25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words (o. rhema) of truth and soberness.
26:25 Phao-loâ laïi noùi: Baãm quan lôùn Pheâ-tu, toâi chaúng phaûi laûng trí ñaâu; toâi noùi ñoù laø nhöõng lôøi thaät vaø phaûi leõ.
26:26 For the king knows of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
26:26 Vua bieát roõ caùc söï naày; laïi toâi beàn loøng taâu vì tin raèng chaúng coù ñieàu naøo vua khoâng bieát; vì moïi vieäc ñoù chaúng laøm ra caùch chuøng vuïng ñaâu.
26:27 King Agrippa, believe you the prophets? I know that you believe.
26:27 Taâu vua Aïc-ríp-ba, vua coù tin caùc ñaáng tieân tri chaêng? Toâi bieát thaät vua tin ñoù!
26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost you persuade me to be a Christian.
26:28 Vua Aïc-ríp-ba phaùn cuøng Phao-loâ raèng: Thieáu chuùt nöõa ngöôi khuyeân ta trôû neân tín ñoà Ñaáng Christ!
26:29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only you, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
26:29 Phao-loâ taâu: Caàu xin Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chaúng kíp thì chaày, khoâng nhöõng moät mình vua, nhöng heát thaûy moïi ngöôøi nghe toâi hoâm nay ñeàu trôû neân nhö toâi, chæ tröø boû xieàng naày thoâi!
26:30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
26:30 Vua beøn ñöùng daäy, quan toång ñoác vaø baø Beâ-neâ-rít cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi ñoàng ngoài ñoù cuõng vaäy.
26:31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
26:31 Khi lui ra roài, caùc ngöôøi noùi cuøng nhau raèng: Trong caùch aên ôû ngöôøi naày, thaät chaúng coù chi ñaùng cheát hoaëc ñaùng boû tuø caû.
26:32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
26:32 Vua Aïc-ríp-ba noùi vôùi Pheâ-tu raèng: Neáu ngöôøi naày chöa keâu naøi ñeán Seâ-sa, coù theå tha ñöôïc.
27:1 And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.
27:1 Khi ñaõ ñònh raèng chuùng ta phaûi ñi ñaøng bieån qua nöôùc Y-ta-li, hoï beøn giao Phao-loâ vaø naày teân phaïm khaùc cho moät thaày ñoäi teân laø Giu-lô, veà ñoäi quaân Aâu-gu ta.
27:2 And entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts of Asia; one Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.
27:2 Chuùng ta xuoáng moät chieác taøu ôû A-tra-mít phaûi traûy ñi doïc bôø bieån A-si, ñoaïn thì ra ñi. A-ri-taïc, laø ngöôøi Ma-xeâ-ñoan, veà thaønh Teâ-sa-loâ-ni-ca, cuøng ñi vôùi chuùng ta.
27:3 And the next day we touched at Sidon. And Julius courteously pleaded Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself.
27:3 Ñeán ngaøy sau, chuùng ta tôùi thaønh Si-ñoân, thì Giu-lô ñaõi Phao-loâ caùch nhôn töø, cho pheùp ngöôøi ñi thaêm baïn höõu mình, vaø ñöôïc hoï lo vieäc mình.
27:4 And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
27:4 Ñoaïn, töø nôi ñoù, chuùng ta theo meù bôø ñaûo Chíp-rô, vì baáy giôø ngöôïc gioù.
27:5 And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.
27:5 Sau khi vöôït qua bieån Si-li-si vaø Bam-phi-ly, thì chuùng ta ñeán thaønh My-ra, trong xöù Ly-si.
27:6 And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein.
27:6 ÔÛ ñoù, thaày ñoäi thaáy coù moät chieác taøu ôû A-leùc-xan-tri seõ ñi qua Y-ta-li, beøn cho chuùng ta xuoáng taøu ñoù.
27:7 And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come opposite to Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, opposite to Salmone;
27:7 Taøu chaïy chaäm laém, maát nhieàu ngaøy khoù nhoïc môùi tôùi ngang thaønh Cô-nít. Vì gioù quaù, taøu khoâng theå gheù beán ñöôïc, neân chuùng ta laïi theo meù bôø ñaûo Cô-reát, qua Sa-moân.
27:8 And, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh unto which was the city of Lasea.
27:8 Khi ñaõ chòu khoù ñi doïc theo nôi ñoù, chuùng ta môùi ñeán moät nôi goïi laø Myõ-Caûng, gaàn thaønh La-seâ.
27:9 Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,
27:9 Traûi laâu ngaøy, taøu chaïy phaûi nguy hieåm (vì kyø Kieâng aên ñaõ qua roài). Phao-loâ baûo tröôùc cho nhöõng ngöôøi trong taøu,
27:10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.
27:10 raèng: Toâi thaáy söï vöôït bieån naày chaéc seõ phaûi nguy hieåm vaø hö haïi, chaúng nhöõng cho haøng hoùa vaø chieác taøu maø thoâi, laïi ñeán thaân chuùng ta nöõa.
27:11 Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.
27:11 Nhöng thaày ñoäi tin lôøi ngöôøi laùi taøu vaø chuû taøu hôn laø lôøi Phao-loâ noùi.
27:12 And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lies toward the south west and north west.
27:12 Vì caûng ñoù khoâng tieän cho taøu ñaäu luùc muøa ñoâng, neân phaàn nhieàu ngöôøi ñeàu baøn raèng phaûi lìa khoûi ñoù vaø raùng söùc ñeán caûng Pheâ-nít, laø caûng cuûa ñaûo Cô-reát, höôùng phía taây nam vaø phía taây baéc, ñaëng qua muøa ñoâng ôû ñoù.
27:13 And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete.
27:13 Vöøa coù gioù nam non baét ñaàu thoåi, hoï töôûng raèng coù theå tôùi nôi mình ñaõ ñònh, thì keùo neo maø ñi doïc theo gaàn ñaûo Cô-reát.
27:14 But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.
27:14 Nhöng caùch ít laâu coù traän gioù döõ tôïn goïi laø gioù Ô-ra-qui-loân thoåi leân vaät vaøo ñaûo.
27:15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive.
27:15 Taøu ñaõ phaûi baït ñi, choáng laïi gioù chaúng noåi, neân chuùng ta ñeå maëc cho theo chieàu gioù.
27:16 And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat:
27:16 Taøu bò baït ñeán döôùi moät hoøn ñaûo nhoû kia goïi laø Cô-loâ-ña, chuùng ta khoù nhoïc laém môùi caàm ñöôïc chieác thuyeàn.
27:17 Which when they had taken up, they used support cables, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksand, strake sail, and so were driven.
27:17 Sau khi truïc leân, hoï duøng phöông theá laøm cho chaéc chaén: laáy daây raøng phía döôùi chieác taøu laïi; ñoaïn laïi sôï maéc caïn treân baõi Si-rô-tô, thì haï buoàm xuoáng, ñeå maëc gioù ñöa troâi ñi.
27:18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;
27:18 Ñeán ngaøy mai, vì baõo cöù thoåi cuõng maïnh nhö vaäy luoân, hoï beøn quaêng haøng hoùa xuoáng bieån.
27:19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the cordage of the ship.
27:19 Ngaøy thöù ba, chuùng ta duøng chính tay mình quaêng ñoà ñaïc trong taøu xuoáng bieån.
27:20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
27:20 Trong maáy ngaøy maët trôøi chaúng coù, ngoâi sao cuõng khoâng, maø baõo thì vaãn thoåi aøo aøo luoân, ñeán noãi chuùng ta chaúng coøn troâng caäy ñöôïc cöùu nöõa.
27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, all of you should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
27:21 Vì hoï khoâng aên ñaõ laâu, neân Phao-loâ ñöùng daäy giöõa ñaùm hoï, maø noùi raèng: Hôõi baïn höõu ta, chôù chi böõa tröôùc tin laøm ta maø chaúng dôøi khoûi ñaûo Cô-reát, thì chuùng ta ñaõ chaúng maéc côn nguy hieåm vaø toån haïi naày.
27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
27:22 nhöng baây giôø, ta khuyeân caùc ngöôi haõy vöõng loøng; trong caùc ngöôi chaúng maát ai heát, chæ maát chieác taøu maø thoâi.
27:23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,
27:23 Vì ñeâm nay, moät thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø Ñaáng ta thuoäc veà vaø haàu vieäc, coù hieän ñeán cuøng ta maø phaùn raèng:
27:24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God has given you all them that sail with you.
27:24 Hôõi Phao-loâ, ñöøng sôï chi heát; ngöôi phaûi öùng haàu tröôùc maët Seâ-sa; vaø naày, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ban cho ngöôi heát thaûy nhöõng keû cuøng ñi bieån vôùi ngöôi.
27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
27:25 Vaäy, hôõi caùc oâng, haõy vöõng loøng, vì ta coù loøng tin caäy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng seõ xaûy ra nhö lôøi Ngaøi ñaõ phaùn vaäy;
27:26 Nevertheless we must be cast upon a certain island.
27:26 nhöng chuùng ta chaéc seõ bò taáp leân moät hoøn ñaûo naøo.
27:27 But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the sailors deemed that they drew near to some country;
27:27 Ñaõ ñeán ñeâm thöù möôøi boán maø chuùng ta cöù troâi noåi treân bieån A-ñôø-ria-tích, luùc nöûa ñeâm, caùc baïn taøu ngôø ñang ñeán gaàn moät ñaát naøo.
27:28 And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
27:28 Hoï thaû traùi doø xuoáng, thì thaáy saâu hai chuïc saûi; hôi xa moät ít, laïi thaû nöõa, thì thaáy möôøi laêm saûi.
27:29 Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.
27:29 Baáy giôø, sôï ñuïng raïn, boï beøn töø treân ñaàu laùi taøu quaêng boán neo xuoáng, vaø öôùc ao ñeán saùng.
27:30 And as the sailors were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the bow,
27:30 nhöng vì baïn taøu tìm phöông laùnh khoûi chieác taøu vaø thaû chieác tam baûn xuoáng bieån, giaû ñoù ñi thaû neo ñaèng tröôùc muõi,
27:31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, all of you cannot be saved.
27:31 thì Phao-loâ noùi vôùi thaày ñoäi vaø lính raèng: Neáu nhöõng ngöôøi naày chaúng cöù ôû trong taøu, thì caùc oâng chaúng ñöôïc cöùu.
27:32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.
27:32 Boïn lính beøn caét daây buoäc tam baûn, laøm cho rôùt xuoáng.
27:33 And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take food, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that all of you have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.
27:33 Ñoaïn, trong khi ñôïi trôøi saùng, Phao-loâ khuyeân ai naáy haõy aên. Ngöôøi noùi: Hoâm nay laø ngaøy thöù möôøi boán maø caùc ngöôi ñang troâng ñôïi, nhòn ñoùi chaúng aên chuùt naøo.
27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take some food: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.
27:34 Vaäy, ta khuyeân caùc ngöôi haõy aên, vì thaät laø raát caàn cho söï cöùu cuûa caùc ngöôi, vaø chaúng ai trong voøng caùc ngöôi seõ maát moät sôïi toùc treân ñaàu mình.
27:35 And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.
27:35 Noùi nhö vaäy roài, ngöôøi beøn laáy baùnh, ñöùng tröôùc maët moïi ngöôøi, taï ôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi roài, thì beû ra vaø aên.
27:36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some food.
27:36 Baáy giôø ai naáy ñeàu giuïc loøng, vaø aên.
27:37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.
27:37 Vaû, soá chuùng ta heát thaûy ôû trong taøu ñöôïc hai traêm baûy möôi saùu ngöôøi.
27:38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
27:38 Hoï ñaõ aên vöøa no neâ, beøn quaêng ñoà löông thöïc xuoáng bieån, laøm cho nheï taøu ñi.
27:39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
27:39 Ñeán saùng ngaøy, hoï chaúng nhaän bieát laø ñaát naøo, nhöng thaáy coù caùi vònh vaø bôø, beøn ñònh ñoã taøu ñoù maø nuùp xem coù theå ñöôïc chaêng.
27:40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoisted up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
27:40 Vaäy, hoï döùt daây boû neo xuoáng bieån, thaùo daây baùnh laùi; ñoaïn, xoå buoàm sau laùi thuaän theo gioù, tìm loái chaïy vaøo bôø.
27:41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the front part stuck fast, and remained immoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
27:41 Song chaïy nhaàm choã hai ngoïn nöôùc bieån xaùp nhau, thì hoï laøm cho taøu bò caïn taïi ñoù; ñaàu muõi caém xuoáng khoâng ñoäng ñaäy ñöôïc, coøn ñaàu laùi bò soùng ñaùnh döõ laém neân naùt heát.
27:42 And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.
27:42 Baáy giôø quaân lính baøn ñònh gieát caùc tuø phaïm, e coù ngöôøi naøo trong boïn hoï loäi thoaùt khoûi chaêng.
27:43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:
27:43 nhöng thaày ñoäi muoán cöùu Phao-loâ, neân ngaên trôû nghò ñònh ñoù. Ngöôøi truyeàn cho ai bieát loäi thì nhaûy xuoáng nöôùc tröôùc ñi maø loäi vaøo bôø,
27:44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
27:44 vaø truyeàn cho nhöõng keû coøn laïi, ngöôøi thì côõi treân vaùn, keû thì côõi treân mieáng vaùch naùt cuûa chieác taøu. Theá laø ai naáy ñeàu ñöôïc leân bôø voâ söï vaäy.
28:1 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
28:1 Ñaõ ñöôïc cöùu nhö vaäy roài, chuùng ta môùi bieát cuø lao ñoù teân laø Man-tô.
28:2 And the natives people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
28:2 Thoå nhôn ñaõi chuùng ta moät caùch nhôn töø hieám coù, tieáp röôùc chuùng ta thay thaûy gaàn keà ñoáng löûa lôùn ñaõ ñoát, vì ñang möa vaø trôøi laïnh leõo.
28:3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
28:3 Phao-loâ löôïm ñöôïc moät boù cuûi khoâ, quaêng vaøo trong löûa, xaûy coù con raén luïc töø trong boù cuûi bò noùng boø ra, quaán treân tay ngöôøi.
28:4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffers not to live.
28:4 Thoå nhôn thaáy con vaät ñeo thoøng loøng treân tay ngöôøi, beøn noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Thaät ngöôøi naày laø tay gieát ngöôøi; neân daàu ñöôïc cöùu khoûi bieån roài, nhöng leõ coâng bình chaúng khöùng cho soáng!
28:5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
28:5 Nhöng Phao-loâ raûy raén vaøo löûa, chaúng thaáy heà chi heát.
28:6 Nevertheless they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
28:6 Hoï ngôø ngöôøi seõ bò söng leân, hoaëc ngaõ xuoáng cheát töùc thì; nhöng ñaõ ñôïi laâu roài, chaúng thaáy haïi chi cho ngöôøi, beøn ñoåi yù maø noùi raèng thaät laø moät vì thaàn.
28:7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
28:7 Trong choã ñoù, coù maáy ñaùm raèng thuoäc veà ngöôøi tuø tröôûng cuûa ñaûo aáy, teân laø Buùp-li -u; ngöôøi naày ñaõi ñaèng chuùng ta caùch meán khaùch laém trong ba ngaøy.
28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a dysentery: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
28:8 Vaû, cha cuûa Buùp-li -u naày ñöông naèm treân giöôøng ñau bònh noùng laïnh vaø bònh lî. Phao-loâ ñi thaêm ngöôøi, caàu nguyeän xong, ñaët tay leân vaø chöõa laønh cho.
28:9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
28:9 Nhôn ñoù, ai naáy trong ñaûo coù bònh, ñeàu ñeán cuøng Phao-loâ, vaø ñöôïc chöõa laønh caû.
28:10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
28:10 Hoï cuõng toân troïng chuùng ta laém, vaø luùc chuùng ta ñi, thì söûa soaïn moïi ñoà caàn duøng cho chuùng ta.
28:11 And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
28:11 Sau ñoù ba thaùng, chuùng ta xuoáng taøu ôû A-leùc-xan-tri maø ñi, laø taøu ñaõ qua muøa ñoâng taïi ñaûo ñoù, vaø coù hieäu laø Ñi-oát-cuûa.
28:12 And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.
28:12 Tôùi thaønh Sy-ra-cu-sô roài, chuùng ta ôû laïi ñaây ba ngaøy.
28:13 And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:
28:13 Töø nôi ñoù, chaïy theo meù bieån Si-si-lô, tôùi thaønh Reâ-ghi-um. Ñeán ngaøy mai, vì gioù nam noåi leân, neân sau hai ngaøy nöõa chuùng ta tôùi thaønh Bu-xoâ-lô.
28:14 Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
28:14 ÔÛ ñoù gaëp anh em môøi chuùng ta ôû laïi baûy ngaøy; roài thì ñi ñeán thaønh Roâ-ma.
28:15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
28:15 Anh em trong thaønh naày nghe noùi veà chuùng ta, beøn ra ñeán Phoâ-rum Aùp-bi -u vaø choã Ba Quaùn maø ñoùn röôùc chuùng ta. Phao-loâ thaáy anh em, thì caûm taï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø vöõng chí.
28:16 And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.
28:16 Khi chuùng ta ñaõ ñeán thaønh Roâ-ma, Phao-loâ ñöôïc pheùp ôû rieâng vôùi moät ngöôøi lính canh giöõ.
28:17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
28:17 Sau ba ngaøy, ngöôøi môøi caùc tröôûng laõo trong daân Giu-ña nhoùm laïi; ñeán roài, ngöôøi noùi raèng: Hôõi anh em ta, daãu toâi chaúng töøng laøm ñieàu gì nghòch cuøng daân chuùng hoaëc cuøng thoùi tuïc toå phuï chuùng ta, maø toâi coøn bò baét taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø noäp trong tay ngöôøi Roâ-ma.
28:18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.
28:18 Nhöõng ngöôøi naày ñaõ xeùt vieäc toâi roài, thì muoán tha ra, vì toâi chaúng heà laøm ñieàu gì ñaùng cheát.
28:19 But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.
28:19 Song ngöôøi Giu-ña choáng cöï ñieàu ñoù, neân buoäc toâi keâu naøi ñeán Seâ-sa, nhöng chaúng phaûi coù yù kieän boån quoác ta ñaâu.
28:20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
28:20 Aáy vì côù ñoù maø toâi ñaõ xin gaëp anh em vaø noùi chuyeän vôùi, vì laø bôûi söï troâng caäy cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân neân toâi mang laáy xieàng naày.
28:21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning you, neither any of the brethren that came showed or spoke any harm of you.
28:21 Caùc ngöôi aáy traû lôøi raèng: Chuùng toâi chaúng tieáp thô töø xöù Giu-ña noùi veà vieäc anh, vaø chaúng ai trong anh em ñaõ ñeán maùch cho chuùng toâi hay laø noùi xaáu veà anh nöõa.
28:22 But we desire to hear of you what you think: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
28:22 Daàu vaäy, chuùng toâi muoán bieát anh nghó laøm sao; vì veà phaàn ñaïo naày, chuùng toâi bieát ngöôøi ta hay choáng nghòch khaép moïi nôi.
28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
28:23 Hoï ñaõ heïn ngaøy vôùi ngöôøi, beøn ñeán thaêm taïi nôi nhaø troï raát ñoâng; töø buoåi saùng ñeán chieàu, ngöôøi cöù laøm chöùng vaø giaûng giaûi vôùi hoï veà nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laáy luaät phaùp Moâi-se vaø caùc ñaáng tieân tri maø gaéng söùc khuyeân baûo hoï veà Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.
28:24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
28:24 Coù ngöôøi chòu tin lôøi ngöôøi noùi, coù keû chaúng tin.
28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, (o. rhema) Well spoke the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,
28:25 Bôûi chöng hoï khoâng ñoàng yù vôùi nhau vaø ra veà, neân Phao-loâ chæ noùi theâm lôøi naày: Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh ñaõ phaùn phaûi laém, khi Ngaøi duøng ñaáng tieân tri EÂ-sai maø phaùn cuøng toå phuï caùc ngöôi raèng:
28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall see, and not perceive:
28:26 Haõy ñeán nôi daân naày vaø noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi laáy loã tai nghe maø chaúng hieåu chi; Laáy maét xem maø khoâng thaáy gì.
28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28:27 Vì loøng daân naày ñaõ naëng neà; Hoï bòt loã tai, Nhaém maét laïi, E raèng maét mình töï thaáy, Tai mình töï nghe, Loøng mình töï hieåu, Vaø hoï trôû laïi Maø ta chöõa cho laønh ñöôïc chaêng.
28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
28:28 Vaäy, haõy bieát söï cöùu roãi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi naày ñaõ sai ñeán cho ngöôøi ngoaïi; nhöõng ngöôøi ñoù seõ nghe theo vaäy.
28:29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
28:29 Khi ngöôøi noùi xong, thì caùc ngöôi Giu-ña ñi ra, caõi laãy cuøng nhau döõ laém.
28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
28:30 Phao-loâ ôû troïn hai naêm taïi moät nhaø troï ñaõ thueâ. Ngöôøi tieáp röôùc moïi ngöôøi ñeán thaêm mình,
28:31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
28:31 giaûng veà nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø daïy doã veà Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ caùch töï do troïn veïn, chaúng ai ngaên caám ngöôøi heát.
