1:1 Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;
1:1 Sau khi Sau-lô thaùc, vaø Ña-vít ñaõ thaéng daân A-ma-leùt trôû veà roài, thì ôû Xieát-laùc hai ngaøy.
1:2 It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did reverence.
1:2 Ngaøy thöù ba, xaûy coù moät ngöôøi ôû dinh Sau-lô trôû veà, quaàn aùo raùch röôùi, ñaàu ñoùng buïi, ñeán tröôùc maët Ña-vít, saáp mình xuoán ñaát maø laïy.
1:3 And David said unto him, From whence come you? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.
1:3 Ña-vít hoûi ngöôøi raèng: Ngöôøi ôû ñaâu ñeán? Thöa raèng: Toâi ôû traïi quaân Y-sô-ra-eân thoaùt khoûi.
1:4 And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray you, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.
1:4 Ña-vít noùi: Vaäy, vieäc xaûy ra sao? Haõy thuaät cho ta. Ngöôøi thöa: Daân söï ñaõ troán khoûi chieán tröôøng, vaø coù nhieàu ngöôøi trong hoï bò ngaõ cheát; Sau-lô vaø Gioâ-na-than, con trai ngöôøi, cuõng ñeàu cheát nöõa.
1:5 And David said unto the young man that told him, How know you that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?
1:5 Ña-vít hoûi ngöôøi trai treû ñem tin aáy raèng: Laøm sao ngöôi bieát Sau-lô vaø con trai ngöôøi ñaõ cheát?
1:6 And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.
1:6 Ngöôøi trai treû ñem tin aáy thöa raèng: Tình côø toâi ñi qua nuùi Ghinh-boâ -a, thaáy Sau-lô nöông treân caây giaùo mình. Xe vaø lính kò theo gaàn kòp ngöôøi.
1:7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.
1:7 Ngöôøi xaây laïi thaáy toâi vaø goïi toâi. Toâi thöa raèng: Coù toâi ñaây.
1:8 And he said unto me, Who are you? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.
1:8 Ngöôøi noùi cuøng toâi raèng: Ngöôi laø ai: Toâi thöa: Toâi laø daân A-ma-leùc.
1:9 He said unto me again, Stand, I pray you, upon me, and slay me: for anguish has come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.
1:9 Ngöôøi beøn tieáp: Haõy laïi gaàn gieát ta ñi, vì ta bò xaây xaåm, nhöng haõy coøn soáng.
1:10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here unto my lord.
1:10 Vaäy, toâi ñeán gaàn vaø gieát ngöôøi ñi, vì toâi bieát ngöôøi baïi traän, khoâng coøn soáng ñöôïc. Ñoaïn, toâi laáy maõo trieàu thieân treân ñaàu ngöôøi vaø voøng vaøng nôi caùnh tay ngöôøi, maø ñem veà ñaây cho chuùa toâi.
1:11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:
1:11 Ña-vít beøn xeù quaàn aùo mình; heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi ñi theo cuõng ñeàu laøm nhö vaäy.
1:12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.
1:12 Keá aáy, chuùng ñeå tang, khoùc loùc, vaø nhòn ñoùi cho ñeán chieàu toái vì Sau-lô, vì Gioâ-na-than, con trai ngöôøi, vì daân söï cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø vì nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, bôûi chuùng ñaõ bò göôm ngaõ cheát.
1:13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence are you? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
1:13 Ña-vít hoûi ngöôøi trai treû ñem tin naày raèng: Ngöôi ôû ñaâu ñeán? Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Toâi laø con trai cuûa moät ngöôøi ngoaïi bang, töùc con cuûa moät ngöôøi A-ma-leùc.
1:14 And David said unto him, How were you not afraid to stretch forth yours hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?
1:14 Ña-vít noùi raèng: Côù sao ngöôi khoâng sôï giô tay leân gieát keû chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va?
1:15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he stroke him that he died.
1:15 Huyeát ngöôi ñoå laïi treân ñaàu ngöôi! Mieäng ngöôi ñaõ laøm chöùng veà ngöôi, vì ngöôi ñaõ noùi raèng: Chính toâi ñaõ gieát ñaáng chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
1:16 And David said unto him, Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed.
1:16 Ñoaïn, Ña-vít goïi moät ngöôøi trai treû maø noùi raèng: Haõy laïi gaàn, xoâng ñaùnh haén! Ngöôøi aáy ñaùnh haén, vaø haén cheát.
1:17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
1:17 Baây giôø, Ña-vít laøm baøi ai ca naày veà Sau-lô vaø Gioâ-na-than, con trai Sau-lô,
1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)
1:18 maø truyeàn daïy cho caùc con treû Giu-ña: Aáy laø baøi ai ca veà Cung, cheùp trong saùch keû coâng bình:
1:19 The beauty of Israel is slain upon your high places: how are the mighty fallen!
1:19 Oâi! Y-sô-ra-eân! keû danh voïng cuûa ngöôi ñaõ thaùc treân goø noãng ngöôi! Nhôn sao caùc keû anh huøng naày bò ngaõ cheát?
1:20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
1:20 Chôù ñi tuyeân caùo ñieàu ñoù trong Gaùt, Chôù rao truyeàn söï aáy trong caùc ñöôøng phoá Aùch-ca-loân. e caùc con gaùi Phi-li-tin vui veû, Vaø caùc con gaùi keû khoâng chòu caét bì möøng rôõ chaêng?
1:21 All of you mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.
1:21 Hôõi nuùi Ghinh-boâ -a! Nguyeän söông moùc vaø möa chaúng sa xuoáng treân ngöôi, Vaø chaúng coù ñoàng ruoäng sanh saûn vaät duøng laøm cuûa leã ñaàu muøa; Vì taïi nôi ñoù, caùi khieân cuûa anh huøng bò nhô nhuoác, Töùc laø caùi khieân cuûa Sau-lô, noù seõ chaúng heà ñöôïc xöùc daàu nöõa.
1:22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.
1:22 Caây cung cuûa Gioâ-na-than chaúng heà trôû veà Maø khoâng dính ñaày huyeát keû cheát, vaø môõ cuûa ngöôøi doõng só; Caây göôm cuûa Sau-lô khoâng heà trôû veà maø khoâng vinh quang.
1:23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
1:23 Khi coøn soáng, Sau-lô vaø Gioâ-na-tha yeâu nhau ñeïp nhau, Luùc cheát chaúng lìa khoûi nhau; Hai ngöôøi voán leï hôn chim öng, Maïnh hôn con sö töû!
1:24 All of you daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
1:24 Hôõi con gaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, haõy khoùc veà Sau-lô, Ngöôøi ñaõ maëc cho caùc ngöôi aùo xoáng maøu ñoû ñieàu xa xí, Trao gioài aùo xoáng caùc ngöôi baèng ñoà vaøng.
1:25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, you were slain in yours high places.
1:25 Côù sao ngöôøi doõng só ngaõ giöõa côn traän? Nhaân sao Gioâ-na-than thaùc treân goø noãng caùc ngöôi?
1:26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant have you been unto me: your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.
1:26 Hôõi Gioâ-na-than, anh toâi, loøng toâi quaën thaét vì anh. Anh laøm cho toâi khoaùi daï; Nghóa baàu baïn cuûa anh laáy laøm quí hôn tình thöông ngöôøi nöõ.
1:27 How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
1:27 Côù sao nhöõng anh huøng bò ngaõ xuoáng? Nhaân sao caùc binh khí hoï bò beû gaõy?
2:1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Where shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.
2:1 Sau ñieàu ñoù, Ña-vít caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nhö vaày: Toâi coù neân ñi leân trong moät thaønh naøo cuûa xöù Giu-ña chaêng? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi leân. Ña-vít tieáp: Toâi phaûi leân trong thaønh naøo? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp: Heáp-roân.
2:2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal's wife the Carmelite.
2:2 Ña-vít ñi ñeán ñoù, ñem theo hai ngöôøi vôï, laø A-hi-noâ-am ôû Gít-reâ-eân, vaø A-bi-ga-in, nguyeân laø vôï cuûa Na-banh ôû Caït-meân.
2:3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
2:3 Ña-vít cuõng ñem caùc ngöôøi ôû cuøng mình ñi leân, moãi ngöôøi vôùi gia quyeán mình, maø ôû trong caùc thaønh cuûa ñòa phaän Heáp-roân.
2:4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.
2:4 Nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña ñi ñeán ñoù, vaø xöùc daàu cho Ña-vít laøm vua nhaø Giu-ña. Ngöôøi ta ñeán noùi cho Ña-vít raèng: Daân ôû Gia-be ñaõ choân Sau-lô.
2:5 And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed be all of you of the LORD, that all of you have showed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.
2:5 Ña-vít beøn sai söù ñeán cuøng daân söï Gia-be trong Ga-la-aùt, maø noùi raèng: Nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ban phöôùc cho caùc ngöôi, vì caùc ngöôi ñaõ coù loøng nhôn töø ñoái cuøng Sau-lô, chuùa caùc ngöôi, maø choân ngöôøi!
2:6 And now the LORD show kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because all of you have done this thing.
2:6 Nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laáy nhôn töø vaø thaønh thöïc maø ñoái laïi cuøng caùc ngöôi! Coøn ta, cuõng seõ laøm ñieàu thieän cho caùc ngöôi, bôûi vì caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm nhö vaäy.
2:7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be all of you valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.
2:7 Nguyeän cho tay caùc ngöôi ñöôïc maïnh, khaù toû mình ra ngöôøi haøo kieät; vì Sau-lô, chuùa caùc ngöôi ñaõ thaùc, vaø nhaø Giu-ña ñaõ xöùc daàu cho ta laøm vua cuûa hoï.
2:8 But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
2:8 Baáy giôø Aùp-ne, quan toång binh cuûa Sau-lô, baét Ích-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Sau-lô maø ñöa qua Ma-ha-na-im,
2:9 And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
2:9 laäp ngöôøi laøm vua Ga-la-aùt, A-söï-rít, Gít-reâ-eân, Eùp-ra-im, Beân-gia-min, vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân.
2:10 Ishbosheth Saul's son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David.
2:10 Khi Ích-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, khôûi cai trò Y-sô-ra-eân, thì ñaõ ñöôïc boán möôi tuoåi, vaø ngöôøi cai trò hai naêm. Chæ coù nhaø Giu-ña theo Ña-vít maø thoâi.
2:11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.
2:11 Thì giôø Ña-vít ôû Heáp-roân, cai trò treân nhaø Giu-ña, laø baûy naêm saùu thaùng.
2:12 And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
2:12 Vaû, Aùp-ne, con trai cuûa Neâ-rô vaø caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ích-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, ôû Ma-ha-na-im keùo ra ñaëng ñi ñeán Ga-ba-oân.
2:13 And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together by the pool of Gibeon: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.
2:13 Gioâ-aùp, con trai cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, vaø caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít, cuõng keùp ra; hai beân gaëp nhau taïi loái hoà Ga-ba-oân, roài boïn naày ngoài ôû beân naày hoà, vaø boïn khaùc ngoài ôû beân kia.
2:14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise, and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.
2:14 Baáy giôø, Aùp-ne noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Nhöõng keû trai treû naày haõy choãi daäy vaø tröûng giôõn taïi tröôùc maët chuùng ta. Gioâ-aùp noùi: Chuùng noù khaù choåi daäy.
2:15 Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, which pertained to Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
2:15 Vaäy, chuùng noù choåi daäy, ñi tôùi soá baèng nhau, möôøi hai ngöôøi Beân-gia-min vì Ích-boâ-seát, con trai Sau-lô, vaø möôøi hai ngöôøi trong caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít.
2:16 And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.
2:16 Moãi ngöôøi beøn naém ñaàu keû cöøu ñòch mình, ñaâm göôm vaøo hoâng, vaø thaûy ñeàu ngaõ cheát cuøng nhau; choã ñoù beøn goïi laø ñoàng Göôm, ôû trong Ga-ba-oân.
2:17 And there was a very sore battle that day; and Abner was beaten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.
2:17 Trong ngaøy ñoù coù moät chieán ñaáu raát döõ, Aùp-ne vaø nhöõng ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu bò caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít ñaùnh baïi.
2:18 And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.
2:18 ÔÛ ñoù, coù ba con trai cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, laø Gioâ-aùp, A-bi-sai, vaø A-sa-eân. Vaû, A-sa-eân chaïy leï laøng nhö moät con hoaøng döông röøng.
2:19 And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner.
2:19 Ngöôøi ñuoåi theo Aùp-ne, khoâng xaây qua khoûi ngöôøi, hoaëc veà beân höõu hay laø beà beân taû.
2:20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Are you Asahel? And he answered, I am.
2:20 Vaäy, Aùp-ne ngoù laïi sau, vaø hoûi raèng: Coù phaûi ngöôi laø A-sa-eân chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Phaûi, aáy laø ta.
2:21 And Abner said to him, Turn you aside to your right hand or to your left, and lay you hold on one of the young men, and take you his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.
2:21 Aùp-ne noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi qua phía höõu hay laø phía taû, xoâng vaøo moät ngöôøi trong boïn trai treû, vaø laáy khí giôùi noù ñi. Nhöng A-sa-eân khoâng muoán xaây khoûi ngöôøi.
2:22 And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn you aside from following me: wherefore should I strike you to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab your brother?
2:22 Aùp-ne laïi noùi cuøng A-sa-eân raèng: Haõy xaây khoûi ta, côù sao buoäc ta phaûi ñaùnh gieát ngöôi naèm saûi xuoáng ñaát? Ví baèng gieát ngöôi, ta deã naøo coøn daùm ngoù maët Gioâ-aùp laø anh ngöôi?
2:23 Nevertheless he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear stroke him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
2:23 Bôûi ngöôøi khoâng khöùng laùnh ñi, Aùp-ne beøn laáy caùn giaùo mình ñaâm ngöôøi nôi buïng, thaáu ñeán sau löng. A-sa-eân teù xuoáng vaø cheát taïi choã; heát thaûy ngöôøi naøo ñeán choã A-sa-eân ngaõ xuoáng cheát, ñeàu döøng laïi taïi ñoù.
2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lies before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
2:24 Gioâ-aùp vaø A-bi-sai ñuoåi theo Aùp-ne; khi hai ngöôøi ñeán goø A-ma ñoái ngang Ghi -a, veà höôùng ñoàng vaéng Ga-ba-oân, thì maët trôøi ñaõ laën.
2:25 And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together after Abner, and became one troop, and stood on the top of an hill.
2:25 Daân Beân-gia-min hieäp laïi cuøng Aùp-ne, laøm thaønh moät ñaïo, vaø döøng laïi treân choùt moät goø noãng.
2:26 Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? know you not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, before you bid the people return from following their brethren?
2:26 Aùp-ne beøn la lôùn cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Vaäy, löôõi göôm chöa thoâi huûy dieät sao? Ngöôi haù chaúng bieát cuoái cuøng seõ laø khoå sao? Ngöôi khoâng truyeàn lònh cho daân söï thoâi ñuoåi theo anh em mình cho ñeán chöøng naøo?
2:27 And Joab said, As God lives, unless you had spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.
2:27 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp raèng: Ta chæ Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi haèng soáng maø theà raèng, neáu oâng chaúng noùi chi, thì daân söï khoâng thoâi ñuoåi theo anh em mình tröôùc khi saùng mai.
2:28 So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.
2:28 Gioâ-aùp truyeàn thoåi keøn, heát thaûy daân söï ñeàu döøng laïi, thoâi ñuoåi theo daân Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø khoâng chieán ñaáu nöõa.
2:29 And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.
2:29 Aùp-ne vaø caùc keû theo ngöôøi troïn ñeâm ñoù ñi ngang qua ñoàng baèng, sang soâng Gioâ-ñanh, traûi khaép Bít-roân, roài ñeán Ma-ha-na-im.
2:30 And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David's servants nineteen men and Asahel.
2:30 Gioâ-aùp cuõng thoâi ñuoåi theo Aùp-ne trôû veà, hieäp heát thaûy daân söï: trong caùc ñaày tôù cuûa Ña-vít thì thieáu möôøi chín ngöôøi vaø A-sa-eân.
2:31 But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner's men, so that three hundred and threescore men died.
2:31 Caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít coù ñaùnh cheát ba traêm saùu möôi ngöôøi trong daân Beân-gia-min vaø thuû haï cuûa Aùp-ne.
2:32 And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the tomb of his father, which was in Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
2:32 Chuùng ñem A-sa-eân, choân trong moä cuûa cha ngöôøi taïi Beát-leâ-hem. Ñoaïn, Gioâ-aùp vaø caùc thuû haï ngöôøi ñi troïn ñeâm, raïng ñoâng ñeán Heáp-roân.
3:1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
3:1 Nhaø Ña-vít vaø nhaø Sau-lô giao chieán nhau laâu ngaøy; nhöng Ña-vít caøng ngaøy caøng maïnh, coøn nhaø Sau-lô caøng ngaøy caøng yeáu.
3:2 And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;
3:2 Trong khi ôû taïi Heáp-roân, Ña-vít sanh nhieàu con trai. Con tröôûng nam laø Am-noân, do A-hi-noâ-am ôû Gít-reâ-eân;
3:3 And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
3:3 con thöù nhì laø Ki-leâ-aùp, do A-bi-ga-in, tröôùc laøm vôï cuûa Na-banh ôû Caït-meân; con thöù ba laø Aùp-ra-loân; meï ngöôøi laø Ma -a-ca, con gaùi cuûa Thanh-mai, vua Gheâ-su-rô;
3:4 And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;

3:5 And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.

3:6 And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

3:7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore have you gone in unto my father's concubine?

3:8 Then was Abner very angry for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul your father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, that you charge me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
3:8 Aùp-ne laáy laøm giaän laém veà caùc lôøi cuûa Ích-boâ-seát, maø noùi raèng: Toâi haù laø ñaàu choù maø haàu vieäc Giu-ña sao? 3:9 So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD has sworn to David, even so I do to him;
3:9 Nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaït toâi caùch naëng neà, neáu toâi chaúng vì Ña-vít laøm thaønh moïi ñieàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ höùa cuøng ngöôøi:
3:10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
3:10 töùc laø dôøi nöôùc khoûi nhaø Sau-lô qua nhaø Ña-vít, vaø laäp ngoâi Ña-vít treân Y-sô-ra-eân vaø treân Giu-ña, töø Ñan cho ñeán Beâ -e-Seâ-ba.
3:11 And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
3:11 Ích-boâ-seát khoâng daùm ñaùp moät lôøi naøo cuøng Aùp-ne, bôûi vì sôï ngöôøi.
3:12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make your league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring about all Israel unto you.

3:13 And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.
3:13 Ña-vít ñaùp: Phaûi laém; ta seõ laäp giao öôùc vôùi ngöôi. Ta chæ xin ngöôi moät ñieàu, laø khi ngöôi ñeán thaêm ta, chôù ñeán ra maét ta tröôùc khi chöa daãn Mi-canh, con gaùi cuûa Sau-lô ñeán.
3:14 And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
3:14 Ña-vít beøn sai söù giaû ñeán Ích-boâ-seát con trai cuûa Sau-lô maø noùi raèng: Haõy traû laïi Mi-canh, vôï ta, maø ta ñaõ cöôùi baèng sinh leã moät traêm döông bì Phi-li-tin.
3:15 And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
3:15 Ích-boâ-seát beøn sai ngöôøi baét naøng nôi nhaø choàng naøng, laø Pha-ti-eân, con trai cuûa La-ít
3:16 And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.
3:16 Choàng naøng vöøa ñöa ñi vöøa khoùc, theo ñeán Ba-hu-rim. Ñoaïn, Aùp-ne noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi, trôû veà nhaø ngöôi. Roài Pha-ti-eân trôû veà.
3:17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, All of you sought for David in times past to be king over you:
3:17 Aùp-ne noùi cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Ñaõ laâu nay, caùc oâng ao öôùc ñöôïc Ña-vít laøm vua.
3:18 Now then do it: for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
3:18 Vaäy baây giôø, haõy laøm ñi; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Aáy bôûi Ña-vít, toâi tôù ta, maø ta seõ giaûi cöùu daân Y-sô-ra-eân ta khoûi tay daân Phi-li-tin vaø khoûi tay moïi keû thuø nghòch hoï.
3:19 And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
3:19 Aùp-ne cuõng noùi nhö lôøi aáy cuøng daân Beân-gia-min; ñoaïn ngöôøi ñi ñeán Heáp-roân, ñeå toû cho Ña-vít bieát söï nghò ñònh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân vaø cuûa caû nhaø Beân-gia-min.
3:20 So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.
3:20 Vaäy, Aùp-ne ñi ñeán Ña-vít taïi Heáp-roân, ñem theo hai möôi ngöôøi; roài Ña-vít baøy moät tieäc ñaõi Aùp-ne cuøng nhöõng keû ñi theo ngöôøi.
3:21 And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that yours heart desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
3:21 Aùp-ne beøn noùi cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Toâi seõ ñi hoäi hieäp laïi caû daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán cuøng vua, laø chuùa toâi, haàu cho chuùng laäp giao öôùc vôùi chuùa, vaø chuùa seõ laøm vua cho caû Y-sô-ra-eân, y nhö loøng chuùa öôùc ao. Vaäy, Ña-vít cho Aùp-ne veà, vaø ngöôøi ñi bình yeân.
3:22 And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
3:22 Vaû, ñaày tôù cuûa Ña-vít ñi cuøng Gioâ-aùp ñaùnh quaân thuø nghòch trôû veà, coù ñem nhieàu cuûa giaëc. Aùp-ne chaúng coøn ôû cuøng Ña-vít taïi Heáp-roân, vì Ña-vít ñaõ cho ngöôøi veà, vaø ngöôøi ñi bình an.
3:23 When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace.
3:23 Vaäy, Gioâ-aùp cuøng caû ñaïo binh trôû veà; ngöôøi coù ñem tin cho ngöôøi hay raèng: Aùp-ne, con trai Neâ-rô, ñaõ ñeán cuøng vua, vua ñeå cho ngöôøi veà, vaø ngöôøi ñi bình yeân.
3:24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? behold, Abner came unto you; why is it that you have sent him away, and he is quite gone?
3:24 Gioâ-aùp beøn ñeán cuøng vua maø hoûi raèng: Vua coù laøm ñieàu chi? Kìa, Aùp-ne ñaõ ñeán nhaø vua, côù sau ñaõ cho ngöôøi ñi veà nhö vaäy?
3:25 You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.
3:25 Vua bieát Aùp-ne, con trai cuûa Neâ-rô, chôù; ngöôøi ñeán chæ ñeå gaït vua, ñeå rình caùc ñöôøng ñi ra ñi vaøo cuûa vua, vaø ñaëng bieát moïi ñieàu vua laøm.
3:26 And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.

3:27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and stroke him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.
3:27 Khi Aùp-ne trôû veà Heáp-roân, Gioâ-aùp ñem ngöôøi rieâng ra trong cöûa thaønh, döôøng muoán noùi vieäc kín cuøng ngöôøi; ôû ñoù beøn ñaâm ngöôøi trong buïng vaø gieát ñi, ñaëng baùo thuø huyeát cho A-sa-eân, em cuûa Gioâ-aùp.
3:28 And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
3:28 Ña-vít lieàn hay, beøn noùi raèng: Ta vaø nöôùc ta voâ toäi ñôøi ñôøi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va veà huyeát cuûa Aùp-ne, con trai Neâ-rô.
3:29 Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.
3:29 Nguyeän huyeát aáy ñoå laïi treân ñaàu Gioâ-aùp vaø treân caû nhaø cha ngöôøi! Nguyeän nhaø Gioâ-aùp chaúng thieáu ngöôøi bò bònh baïch tröôïc, bònh phung, keû baïi xuoäi, keû bò göôm ngaõ cheát, keû thieáu baùnh aên!
3:30 So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
3:30 Gioâ-aùp vaø A-bi-gia, em ngöôøi, gieát Aùp-ne laø nhö vaäy; bôûi vì Aùp-ne ñaõ gieát A-sa-eân, em cuûa hai ngöôøi, sau khi chieán traän taïi Ga-ba-oân.
3:31 And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
3:31 Ña-vít noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp vaø caû daân söï theo ngöôøi raèng: Haõy xeù aùo caùc ngöôi, thaét bao nôi löng, vaø than khoùc Aùp-ne. Tröôùc Ña-vít ñi theo sau linh cöõu.
3:32 And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
3:32 Khi chuùng ñaõ choân Aùp-ne taïi Heáp-roân roài, vua caát tieáng leân khoùc taïi moà Aùp-ne; caû daân söï cuõng khoùc.
3:33 And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dies?
3:33 Vua laøm moät baøi ñieáu Aùp-ne raèng: Aùp-ne haù ñaùng cheát nhö keû ngu daïi cheát sao?
3:34 Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters: as a man falls before wicked men, so fell you. And all the people wept again over him.
3:34 Tay ngöôi chaúng bò troùi, chôn ngöôøi cuõng chaúng mang xieàng; Ngöôi ngaõ cheát khaùc naøo ngöôøi ta ngaõ tröôùc maët keû saùt nhôn.
3:35 And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
3:35 Nghe lôøi naày, caû daân söï ñeàu khoùc. Ñoaïn, heát thaûy ñeán gaàn xin ngöôøi aên ít mieáng baùnh tröôùc khi heát ngaøy; nhöng Ña-vít theà raèng: Neáu tröôùc khi maët trôøi laën, ta aên moät mieáng baùnh hay laø vaät chi khaùc, nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaït ta caùch naëng neà.
3:36 And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.
3:36 Daân söï ñeàu ñeå yù vaøo ñoù vaø laáy laøm toát laønh, chaúng coù ñieàu gì vua laøm maø chuùng khoâng laáy laøm toát laønh.
3:37 For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.
3:37 Nhö vaäy, trong ngaøy ñoù, daân Y-sô-ra-eân nhìn bieát raèng vua chaúng can gì ñeán toäi gieát Aùp-ne, con trai cuûa Neâ-rô.
3:38 And the king said unto his servants, Know all of you not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?
3:38 Vua noùi cuøng caùc ñaày tôù mình raèng: Moät quan tröôûng, moät ñaïi nhôn trong Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ thaùc ngaøy nay; caùc ngöôi haù chaúng bieát sao?
3:39 And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
3:39 Veà phaàn ta, ngaøy nay haõy coøn yeáu, daãu raèng ta ñaõ chòu xöùc daàu laäp laøm vua; vaø nhöõng keû kia, laø caùc con trai cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, laø cöôøng baïo cho ta quaù. Nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va baùo keû laøm aùc naày, tuøy söï aùc cuûa noù!
4:1 And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
4:1 Khi con trai cuûa Sau-lô hay raèng Aùp-ne ñaõ thaùc taïi Heáp-roân, thì sôøn loøng ruûn chí, vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu boái roái.
4:2 And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.
4:2 Vaû, con trai Sau-lô coù hai ñoäi tröôûng, moät ngöôøi teân laø Ba -a-na, moät ngöôøi teân laø Reâ-caùp: hai ngöôøi laø con trai cuûa Rim-moân ôû Beâ-eâ-roát veà chi phaùi Beân-gia-min,
4:3 And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)
4:3 maëc daàu chuùng ñaõ chaïy troán nôi Ghi-tha-im, laø nôi chuùng ôû cho ñeán ngaøy nay.
4:4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
4:4 Gioâ-na-than, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, coù moät con trai baïi chôn: khi tin Sau-lô vaø Gioâ-na-than thaùc ôû Gít-reâ-eân thaáu ñeán, thì noù ñaõ ñöôïc naêm tuoåi. Vuù noù ñem noù chaïy troán; trong côn laät ñaät troán, noù teù, neân noãi noù trôû neân queø. Teân noù laø Meâ-phi-boâ-seát.
4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
4:5 Hai con trai cuûa Rim-moân ôû Beâ-eâ-roát, laø Reâ-caùp vaø Ba -a-na, trong luùc trôøi naéng ban ngaøy, ñi ñeán nhaø Ích-boâ-seát, ngöôøi ñöông naèm nghæ tröa.
4:6 And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they stroke him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
4:6 Hai ngöôøi ñi tuoát ñeán giöõa nhaø, giaû ñoø laáy luùa mì, roài ñaâm buïng Ích-boâ-seát; ñoaïn Reâ-caùp vaø Ba -a-na, anh ngöôøi, troán ñi.
4:7 For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they stroke him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and got them away through the plain all night.
4:7 Vaäy, hai ngöôøi ñi vaøo nhaø Ích-boâ-seát, trong khi ngöôøi naèm nghæ treân giöôøng taïi phoøng nguû, ñaùnh gieát ngöôøi; ñoaïn caét laáy ñaàu ngöôøi, roài baét ñöôøng ñoàng baèng maø ñi troïn ñeâm.
4:8 And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul yours enemy, which sought your life; and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
4:8 Hai ngöôøi ñem ñaàu Ích-boâ-seát veà Heáp-roân, daâng cho vua Ña-vít, maø raèng: Naày laø ñaàu cuûa Ích-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, keû thuø nghòch vua, vaãn toan haïi maïng soáng vua; ngaøy nay Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ baùo thuø Sau-lô vaø doøng doõi ngöôøi cho vua, laø chuùa toâi.
4:9 And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
4:9 Nhöng Ña-vít ñaùp cuøng Reâ-caùp vaø Ba -a-na con trai cuûa Rim-moân ôû Beâ-eâ-roát, maø raèng: Ta chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, laø Ñaáng ñaõ cöùu ta khoûi caùc hoaïn naïn, maø theà raèng:
4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
4:10 Ta ñaõ sai baét keû ñaõ ñeán thuaät cho ta hay raèng Sau-lô ñaõ thaùc, vaø tö töôûng raèng mình laø moät söù giaû ñem tin laønh; ta ñaõ gieát keû ñoù taïi Xieác-laùc ñaëng traû coâng cho moät söï baùo tin döôøng aáy.
4:11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
4:11 Phöông chi nhöõng keû hung aùc ñaõ gieát moät ngöôøi laønh naèm treân giöôøng taïi trong nhaø mình! Vaäy, ta haù chaúng neân ñoøi huyeát ngöôøi laïi nôi tay caùc ngöôi, vaø dieät caùc ngöôi khoûi ñaát sao?
4:12 And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.
4:12 Ña-vít beøn truyeàn lònh caùc ñaày tôù mình gieát hai ngöôøi ñoù. Chuùng chaët tay vaø chôn hoï, roài treo thaây gaàn beân ao Heáp-roân. Ñoaïn, chuùng laáy ñaàu cuûa Ích-boâ-seát, choân trong moà Aùp-ne, taïi Heáp-roân.
5:1 Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
5:1 Baáy giôø, heát thaûy caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán cuøng Ña-vít taïi Heáp-roân, maø noùi raèng: Chuùng toâi ñaây voán laø coát nhuïc cuûa vua.
5:2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were he that led out and brought in Israel: and the LORD said to you, You shall feed my people Israel, and you shall be a captain over Israel.
5:2 Ñaõ töø xöa, khi Sau-lô coøn cai trò chuùng toâi, chính vua ñaõ daét Y-sô-ra-eân ra traän vaø ñem hoï veà. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn cuøng vua raèng: Ngöôi seõ chaên daân söï ta, vaø laøm vua cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân.
5:3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
5:3 Vaäy, heát thaûy caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán cuøng vua taïi Heáp-roân, vua Ña-vít laäp giao öôùc vôùi hoï taïi Heáp-roân, tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø chuùng xöùc daàu cho Ña-vít laøm vua cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân.
5:4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5:4 Khi Ña-vít khôûi trò vì, tuoåi ñaõ ñöôïc ba möôi; ngöôøi cai trò boán möôi naêm.
5:5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
5:5 Taïi Heáp-roân, Ña-vít trò vì treân Giu-ña baûy naêm saùu thaùng; roài taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ngöôøi trò vì treân caû daân Y-sô-ra-eân vaø Giu-ña ba möôi ba naêm.
5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spoke unto David, saying, Except you take away the blind and the lame, you shall not come in here: thinking, David cannot come in here.
5:6 Vua vaø caùc thuû haï keùo ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñaùnh daân Gieâ-bu-sít, voán ôû taïi xöù naày. Chuùng noù noùi cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Ngöôi chôù vaøo ñaây: nhöõng keû ñui vaø queø, ñuû maø xoâ ñuoåi ngöôøi ñi! ngöôøi laø muoán noùi: Ña-vít seõ khoâng vaøo ñaây ñöôïc.
5:7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
5:7 Nhöng Ña-vít haõm laáy ñoàn Si-oân: aáy laø thaønh Ña-vít.
5:8 And David said on that day, Whosoever gets up to the watercourse, and strikes the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
5:8 Trong ngaøy ñoù, Ña-vít noùi raèng: Phaøm ngöôøi naøo ñaùnh daân Gieâ-bu-sít, nhaøo xuoáng khe keû queø vaø keû ñui chuùng noù, töùc nhöõng keû cöøu ñòch cuûa Ña-vít, (seõ ñöôïc laøm ñaàu muïc vaø quan tröôûng). 5:9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

5:10 And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

5:11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and stone workers: and they built David an house.
5:11 Hi-ram, vua thaønh Ty-rô, sai söù ñeán Ña-vít, ñem theo goã baù höông, thôï moäc, thôï ñaù ñaëng xaây caát moät caùi ñeàn cho Ña-vít.
5:12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
5:12 Baáy giôø, Ña-vít nhìn bieát raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laäp mình laøm vua treân Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø khieán nöôùc mình ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng vì côù daân Y-sô-ra-eân cuûa Ngaøi.
5:13 And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
5:13 Sau khi Ña-vít töø Heáp-roân ñeán, thì coøn cöôùi theâm nhöõng haàu vaø vôï ôû Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; laïi sanh theâm cho ngöôøi nhöõng con trai con gaùi khaùc.
5:14 And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
5:14 Naày laø teân caùc con trai sanh cho ngöôøi taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem: Sa-mua, Soâ-baùp, Na-than, Sa-loâ-moân,
5:15 Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
5:15 Di-ba, EÂ-li-sua, Neâ-pheùc, Gia-phia,
5:16 And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
5:16 EÂ-li-sa-ma, EÂ-li-gia-ña, vaø EÂ-li-pheâ-leát.
5:17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
5:17 Khi daân Phi-li-tin bieát Ña-vít ñaõ chòu xöùc daàu laøm vua Y-sô-ra-eân roài, thì keùo ra ñaëng ñaùnh ngöôøi. Ña-vít hay ñieàu ñoù, beøn ñi ñeán ñoàn.
5:18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
5:18 Daân Phi-li-tin ñi ñeán buûa ra trong truõng Reâ-pha-im.
5:19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? will you deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into yours hand.
5:19 Baáy giôø, Ña-vít caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø raèng: Toâi phaûi leân ñaùnh daân Phi-li-tin chaêng? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Haõy ñi leân, vì haún ta seõ phoù daân Phi-li-tin vaøo tay ngöôi.
5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David stroke them there, and said, The LORD has broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.
5:20 Vaäy, Ña-vít keùo ñeán Ba-anh-Pheâ-raùt-sim, laø nôi ngöôøi ñaùnh daân ñoù; vaø ngöôøi noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñaùnh vôõ caùc keû thuø nghòch toâi khoûi tröôùc maët toâi khaùc naøo nöôùc chaûy. Bôûi côù ñoù, ngöôøi ñaët teân choã naày laø Ba-anh-Pheâ-raùt-sim.
5:21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
5:21 Daân Phi-li-tin boû laïi caùc thaàn töôïng cuûa chuùng noù taïi ñoù; Ña-vít vaø thuû haï ngöôøi laáy ñem ñi.
5:22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
5:22 Daân Phi-li-tin trôû laïi laàn thöù nhì, vaø buûa ra trong truõng Reâ-pha-im.
5:23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, You shall not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them opposite to the mulberry trees.
5:23 Ña-vít caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ngaøi ñaùp raèng: Ngöôi chôù ñi leân; haõy ñi voøng phía sau chuùng noù, roài ngöôi seõ tôùi chuùng noù veà höôùng caây daâu.
5:24 And let it be, when you hear the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall bestir yourself: for then shall the LORD go out before you, to strike the host of the Philistines.
5:24 Vaø khi naøo ngöôi nghe tieáng böôùc treân ngoïn caây daâu, baáy giôø haõy laät ñaät xoâng tôùi, vì chính trong luùc ñoù, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ ñi tröôùc ngöôi ñaëng haõm ñaùnh ñaïo quaân Phi-li-tin.
5:25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and stroke the Philistines from Geba until you come to Gazer.
5:25 Ña-vít laøm moïi ñieàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn ñaën ngöôøi; ngöôøi ñaùnh ñuoåi daân Phi-li-tin töø Gheâ-ba cho ñeán Gheâ-xe.
6:1 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
6:1 Ña-vít laïi nhoùm hieäp heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi keùn choïn cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, soá chöøng ba vaïn ngöôøi.
6:2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.
6:2 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi choãi daäy, coù vaø daân söï ñoàng theo, ñi töø Ba-leâ ôû xöù Giu-ña ñaëng thænh hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi leân; tröôùc hoøm aáy daân caàu khaån danh Chuùa, töùc laø chaùnh danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, vaãn ngöï ôû giöõa cheâ-ru-bin taïi treân hoøm aáy.
6:3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
6:3 Chuùng ñeå hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi treân moät caùi xe môùi, roài ñem ñi khoûi nhaø A-bi-na-ñaùp, ôû taïi treân goø noãng; U-xa vaø A-hi-gioâ, con trai A-bi-na-ñaùp, daãn caùi xe môùi ñoù.
6:4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
6:4 Vaäy, chuùng dôøi hoøm khoûi nhaø A-bi-na-ñaùp ôû taïi treân goø noãng: U-xa ñi gaàn beân hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, coøn A-hi-gioâ ñi tröôùc hoøm.
6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6:5 Ña-vít vaø caû nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu muùa haùt tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vôùi ñuû thöù nhaïc khí baèng goã baù höông, ñôøn caàm, ñôøn saét, troáng, baït, vaø maõ la.
6:6 And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
6:6 Khi ñeán saân ñaïp luùc cuûa Na-coân, U-xa giô tay leân naém hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, bôûi vì nhöõng con boø vaáp ngaõ.
6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God stroke him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
6:7 Côn thaïnh noä cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn noåi phöøng cuøng U-xa; Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi haønh haïi ngöôøi vì côù laàm loãi ngöôøi, vaø ngöôøi cheát taïi ñoù, gaàn beân hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.
6:8 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
6:8 Ña-vít laáy laøm buoàn thaûm, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ haønh haïi U-xa, vaø ngöôøi ta goïi choã aáy laø Haønh haïi U-xa cho ñeán ngaøy nay.
6:9 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
6:9 Trong ngaøy ñoù, Ña-vít sôï Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø noùi raèng: Hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ theá naøo vaøo nhaø ta ñöôïc?
6:10 So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
6:10 Vaäy Ña-vít khoâng muoán ñeå hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeán nhaø mình taïi trong thaønh Ña-vít; beøn bieåu daãn vaøo trong nhaø OÂ-beát-EÂ-ñoâm, laø ngöôøi Gaùt.
6:11 And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
6:11 Nhö vaäy, hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû ba thaùng trong nhaø OÂ-beát-EÂ-ñoâm, ngöôøi Gaùt; Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ban phöôùc cho OÂ-beát-EÂ-ñoâm vaø caû nhaø ngöôøi.
6:12 And it was told king David, saying, The LORD has blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertains unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
6:12 Ngöôøi ta ñeán noùi cuøng vua Ña-vít raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ban phöôùc cho nhaø OÂ-beát-EÂ-ñoâm vaø moïi vaät thuoäc veà ngöôøi, vì côù hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Ña-vít beøn ñi thænh hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû nhaø OÂ-beát-EÂ-ñoâm ñeán trong thaønh Ña-vít caùch raát vui möøng.
6:13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
6:13 Khi nhöõng ngöôøi khieâng hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñi saùu böôùc, thì Ña-vít teá moät con boø ñöïc vaø moät con thuù maäp beùo.
6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
6:14 Ña-vít maëc aùo eâ-phoùt vaûi gai, nhaûy muùa heát söùc taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
6:15 Aáy Ña-vít vaø caû nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân laáy tieáng vui möøng vaø tieáng keøn thoåi maø thænh hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va leân laø nhö vaäy.
6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
6:16 Nhöng khi hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaøo thaønh Ña-vít, thì Mi-canh, con gaùi cuûa Sau-lô, doøm ngang qua cöûa soå, thaáy Ña-vít muùa nhaûy tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, thì trong loøng khinh bæ ngöôøi.
6:17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
6:17 Vaäy, chuùng ñem hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaøo, ñaët taïi choã, giöõa traïi Ña-vít ñaõ döïng cho hoøm ñoù; roài Ña-vít daâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø cuûa leã thuø aân taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
6:18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
6:18 Khi Ña-vít ñaõ daâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø caùc cuûa leã thuø aân, thì ngöôøi nhôn danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân maø chuùc phöôùc cho daân söï;
6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
6:19 ngöôøi phaùt cho heát thaûy daân chuùng Y-sô-ra-eân, baát luaän nam hay nöõ, moãi ngöôøi moät oå baùnh, moät mieáng thòt, vaø moät baùnh nho. Ñoaïn, heát thaûy ai veà nhaø naáy.
6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!
6:20 Ña-vít cuõng trôû veà ñaëng chuùc phöôùc cho nhaø mình; nhöng Mi-canh, con gaùi cuûa Sau-lô, ñeán ñoùn ngöôøi, maø noùi raèng: Hoâm nay vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñöôïc vinh hieån thay, maø ôû traàn tröôùc maët caùc con ñoøi cuûa toâi tôù vua, laøm nhö moät keû khoâng ra gì vaäy!
6:21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before your father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
6:21 Ña-vít ñaùp vôùi Mi-canh raèng: Aáy taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, laø Ñaáng ñaõ choïn laáy ta laøm hôn cha naøng vaø caû nhaø ngöôøi, laäp ta laøm vua chuùa Y-sô-ra-eân, laø daân cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; phaûi, tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ta coù haùt muùa.
6:22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which you have spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
6:22 Ta seõ haï mình xuoáng nhieàu hôn nöõa, töï xem mình laø heøn maït; daàu vaäy, nhöõng con ñoøi naøng noùi ñoù laïi seõ toân kính ta.
6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
6:23 Vì vaäy, Mi-canh, con gaùi Sau-lô, khoâng sanh con cho ñeán ngaøy naøng thaùc.
7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
7:1 Khi vua ñaõ ngöï trong cung mình, vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ giaûi cöùu ngöôøi khoûi caùc keû thuø nghòch chung quanh mình, khieán cho ngöôøi ñöôïc bình an,
7:2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.
7:2 thì vua noùi cuøng tieân tri Na-than raèng: Haõy xem, ta ngöï trong caùi cung baèng baù höông, coøn hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laïi ôû döôùi maøn tröôùng.
7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in yours heart; for the LORD is with you.
7:3 Na-than thöa cuøng vua raèng: Heã trong loøng vua coù yù laøm gì, thì haõy laøm, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû cuøng vua.
7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,
7:4 Nhöng trong luùc ban ñeâm, coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Na-than raèng:
7:5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me an house for me to dwell in?
7:5 Haõy ñi noùi cuøng Ña-vít, toâi tôù ta, raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôøi haù seõ xaây cho ta moät caùi ñeàn ñeå ta ngöï taïi ñoù sao?
7:6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7:6 Ngöôi bieát töø ngaøy ta ñöa daân Y-sô-ra-eân ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ cho ñeán ngaøy nay, ta chaúng coù ngöï trong ñeàn naøo, nhöng haèng ñi ñoù ñaây döôùi traïi vaø nhaø taïm.
7:7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build all of you not me an house of cedar?
7:7 Khaép nôi naøo ta ngöï qua vôùi daân Y-sô-ra-eân, ta haù coù phaùn lôøi gì cuøng moät tröôûng naøo trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, laø keû ta daën chaên daân söï ta, sao? Ta haù coù phaùn cuøng chuùng noù raèng: Côù sao caùc ngöôi khoâng döïng cho ta moät ñeàn thôø baèng goã baù höông?
7:8 Now therefore so shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
7:8 Vaäy baây giôø, ngöôi haõy noùi cuøng Ña-vít, keû toâi tôù ta, nhö vaày: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân coù phaùn nhö vaày: Ta ñaõ goïi ngöôi töø giöõa ñoàng coû, töø nôi ngöôi chaên chieân, ñaëng laäp ngöôi laøm keû daãn daét daân Y-sô-ra-eân cuûa ta.
7:9 And I was with you anywhere you went, and have cut off all yours enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
7:9 Ta ñaõ ôû cuøng ngöôi trong moïi coâng vieäc ngöôi laøm, tuyeät dieät caùc keû thuø nghòch ngöôi khoûi tröôùc maët ngöôi, khieán cho ngöôi ñöôïc danh lôùn nhö danh ngöôøi sang troïng cuûa theá gian.
7:10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as in time past,
7:10 Ta ñaõ saém saün moät choã cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân ta, laøm cho noù chaâm reã taïi ñoù, vaø noù seõ ôû nôi mình, chaúng coøn bò quaáy roái nöõa; caùc con loaøi aùc seõ chaúng haø hieáp noù nöõa nhö ngaøy xöa,
7:11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all yours enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you an house.
7:11 töùc laø nhö luùc luùc ta laäp quan xeùt trò daân Y-sô-ra-eân ta. Ta ñaõ giaûi cöùu ngöôi khoûi caùc thuø nghòch ngöôi maø ban bình an cho ngöôi. Roát laïi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn höùa raèng Ngaøi seõ döïng cho ngöôi moät caùi nhaø.
7:12 And when your days be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
7:12 Khi caùc ngaøy ngöôi ñaõ maõn, vaø ngöôi nguû vôùi caùc toå phuï ngöôi, thì ta seõ laäp doøng gioáng ngöôi keá vò ngöôi, laø doøng gioáng do ngöôi sanh ra, vaø ta seõ khieán cho nöôùc noù beàn vöõng.
7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
7:13 Noù seõ xaây moät ñeàn thôø cho danh ta, vaø ta seõ khieán cho ngoâi cuøng nöôùc noù beàn ñoå ñôøi ñôøi.
7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
7:14 Ta seõ laøm cha noù, noù seõ laøm con ta. Neáu noù phaïm toäi aùc, taát ta seõ söûa phaït noù baèng roi vaø thöông vít loaøi ngöôøi;
7:15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.
7:15 nhöng ta seõ khoâng ruùt aân ñieån ta khoûi noù nhö ta ruùt khoûi Sau-lô, laø keû ta ñaõ tröø dieät khoûi tröôùc maët ngöôi.
7:16 And yours house and your kingdom shall be established for ever before you: your throne shall be established for ever.
7:16 Nhö vaäy, nhaø ngöôi vaø nöôùc ngöôi ñöôïc beàn ñoå tröôùc maët ngöôi ñôøi ñôøi; ngoâi ngöôi seõ ñöôïc vöõng laäp ñeán maõi maõi.
7:17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
7:17 Na-than ñeán thuaät laïi cho Ña-vít moïi lôøi naày vaø söï maëc thò naày.
7:18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me until now?
7:18 Vua Ña-vít beøn ñi ñeán haàu tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø noùi raèng: Laïy Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va, toâi laø ai, hoï haøng toâi laø gì, maø Chuùa ñaõ ñem toâi ñeán nôi naày?
7:19 And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
7:19 Laïy Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñieàu ñoù Chuùa haù coøn cho laø nhoû moïn sao, neân Chuùa laïi noùi veà nhaø cuûa toâi tôù Chuùa trong buoåi laâu veà sau? Laïy Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñieàu naày haù theo caùch thöôøng cuûa loaøi ngöôøi sao?
7:20 And what can David say more unto you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.
7:20 Ña-vít coøn noùi theâm ñöôïc lôøi chi nöõa? Oâi Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va! Chuùa bieát keû toâi tôù Chuùa.
7:21 For your word's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all these great things, to make your servant know them.
7:21 Aáy vì lôøi Chuùa vaø tuøy theo loøng Ngaøi maø Chuùa ñaõ laøm nhöõng vieäc lôùn naày, vaø toû cho keû toâi tôù Chuùa bieát.
7:22 Wherefore you are great, O LORD God: for there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
7:22 Vì vaäy, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi oâi! Ngaøi laø raát lôùn, chaúng coù ai gioáng nhö Ngaøi, vaø chaúng coù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi naøo khaùc hôn Ngaøi, nhö loã tai chuùng toâi ñaõ nghe.
7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to you from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
7:23 Chôù thì treân khaép theá gian coù daân toäc naøo gioáng nhö daân cuûa Chuùa, laø Y-sô-ra-eân, moät daân toäc maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ ñi chuoäc laïi ñaëng laøm daân cuûa Ngaøi? Haàu cho Chuùa ñöôïc danh lôùn, neân Chuùa nhôn vì chuùng toâi, nhôn vì xöù cuûa Ngaøi, maø laøm vieäc lôùn lao ñaùng sôï naày: Chuùa ñaõ ñuoåi nhöõng daân toäc vaø thaàn töôïng chuùng noù khoûi tröôùc maët daân söï maø Chuùa ñaõ chuoäc ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, ñaëng noù thuoäc rieâng veà Ngaøi.
7:24 For you have confirmed to yourself your people Israel to be a people unto you for ever: and you, LORD, are become their God.
7:24 Vì Chuùa ñaõ laäp daân Y-sô-ra-eân laøm daân cuûa Chuùa ñôøi ñôøi; coøn Chuùa, oâi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! laøm Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa daân ñoù.
7:25 And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as you have said.
7:25 Vaäy, baây giôø, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi oâi! xin haõy laøm cho vöõng chaéc ñeán ñôøi ñôøi nhöõng lôøi Chuùa ñaõ phaùn veà keû toâi tôù Chuùa vaø veà nhaø noù, cuøng laøm y nhö Chuùa ñaõ phaùn vaäy.
7:26 And let your name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of your servant David be established before you.
7:26 Nguyeän danh Chuùa ñöôïc ngôïi khen maõi maõi, vaø ngöôøi ta noùi raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân. Nguyeän nhaø Ña-vít, laø keû toâi tôù Chuùa, ñöôïc vöõng beàn tröôùc maët Chuùa!
7:27 For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you an house: therefore has your servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto you.
7:27 Vaû laïi, hôõi Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân! laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, chính Chuùa ñaõ phaùn lôøi höùa naày cuøng keû toâi tôù Chuùa raèng: Ta seõ döïng nhaø cho ngöôi. Bôûi côù ñoù, keû toâi tôù Chuùa noùi daïn dó maø caàu xin Chuùa maáy lôøi naày.
7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, you are that God, and your words be true, and you have promised this goodness unto your servant:
7:28 Vaäy baây giôø, hôõi Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va! Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø caùc lôøi cuûa Ngaøi laø chôn thaät; Chuùa ñaõ höùa cuøng keû toâi tôù Chuùa laøm cho noù nhöõng ôn phöôùc naày.
7:29 Therefore now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed for ever.
7:29 Vaäy, xin Chuùa ban phöôùc cho nhaø keû toâi tôù Chuùa, ñeå noù coøn taïi tröôùc maët Chuùa ñeán ñôøi ñôøi; vì, hôõi Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va! aáy laø Chuùa ñaõ phaùn; nguyeän nhaø keû toâi tôù Chuùa ñöôïc höôûng phöôùc cuûa Chuùa ñeán maõi maõi.
8:1 And after this it came to pass that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
8:1 Sau ñieàu ñoù, Ña-vít ñaùnh baïi daân Phi-li-tin, baét phuïc chuùng noù, vaø caát quyeàn kinh ñoâ khoûi chuùng noù.
8:2 And he stroke Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
8:2 Ngöôøi cuõng ñaùnh daân Moâ-aùp, baét chuùng naèm daøi treân ñaát maø laáy daây ño: ño hai daây ñeå gieát, roài ño moät daây ñeå soáng. Nhö vaäy, daân Moâ-aùp phaûi phuïc Ña-vít vaø ñoùng thueá cho ngöôøi.
8:3 David stroke also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
8:3 Ña-vít cuõng ñaùnh Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe, con trai cuûa Reâ-hoáp, vua Xoâ-ba, ñöông khi ngöôøi ñi ñaëng laáy laïi quyeàn quaûn haït treân soâng Ô-phô-raùt.
8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
8:4 Ña-vít baét cuûa ngöôøi moät ngaøy baûy traêm lính kò vaø hai möôi ngaøy lính boä, caét nhöôïng ngöïa cuûa caùc xe, chæ ñeå daønh cho chuùng noù moät traêm coå xe maø thoâi.
8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
8:5 Daân Sy-ri ôû Ña-maùch ñeán tieáp trôï Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe, vua Xoâ-ba; Ña-vít beøn gieát chuùng noù hai möôi hai ngaøn ngöôi.
8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
8:6 Keá ñoù, ngöôøi laäp ñoàn trong Ña-maùch xöù Sy-ri; daân Sy-ri phuïc dòch Ña-vít vaø noäp thueá. Heã nôi naøo Ña-vít ñi ñeán, thì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va cho ngöôøi ñöôïc thaéng.
8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8:7 Ña-vít laáy nhöõng thuaãn baèng vaøng cuûa caùc ñaày tôù Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe mang, maø gôûi ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
8:8 ÔÛ Beâ-taùch vaø Beâ-roâ-toâi, hai thaønh cuûa Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe, vua cuõng ñoaït laáy ñoàng raát nhieàu.
8:9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
8:9 Thoâi, vua Ha-maùt, hay raèng vua Ña-vít ñaùnh baïi caû ñaïo binh cuûa Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe,
8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
8:11 Vua Ña-vít cuõng bieät caùc moùn naày rieâng ra thaùnh cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, y nhö ngöôøi ñaõ bieät rieâng ra thaùnh baïc vaø vaøng cuûa caùc daân toäc maø ngöôøi ñaõ baét phuïc:
8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
8:12 töùc laø daân Sy-ri, daân Moâ-aùp, daân Am-moân, daân Phi-li-tin, vaø daân A-ma-leùc. Ngöôøi cuõng laøm nhö vaäy veà cuûa giaëc, laáy nôi Ha-ña-ñeâ-xe, con trai cuûa Reâ-hoáp, vua xöù Xoâ-ba.
8:13 And David got him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
8:13 Sau khi thaéng daân Sy-ri trôû veà, Ña-vít laïi noåi danh tieáng, vì ñaùnh gieát moät vaïn taùm ngaøn daân EÂ-ñoâm trong truõng muoái.
8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
8:14 Ngöôøi laäp ñoàn trong khaép xöù EÂ-ñoâm, vaø caû xöù EÂ-ñoâm phaûi phuïc Ña-vít. Nhö vaäy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khieán cho Ña-vít ñöôïc thaéng khaép nôi naøo ngöôøi ñi ñeán.
8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
8:15 Ña-vít laøm vua treân caû Y-sô-ra-eân, cai trò caû daân söï mình caùch ngay thaúng vaø coâng bình.
8:16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
8:16 Gioâ-aùp, con trai Xeâ-ru-gia, laøm quan toång binh; Gioâ-sa-phaùt, con trai A-hi-luùt, laøm quan thaùi söû;
8:17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
8:17 Xa-ñoác, con trai A-bia-tha, laøm thaày teá leã; vaø Se-ra-gia laøm kyù luïc;
8:18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
8:18 Beâ-na-gia, con trai Gieâ-hoâ-gia-ña, laøm quan tröôûng daân Keâ-reâ-thít vaø daân Pheâ-leâ-thít; coøn caùc con trai Ña-vít laøm teå töôùng vua.
9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
9:1 Baáy giôø, Ña-vít noùi raèng: Coù ngöôøi naøo cuûa nhaø Sau-lô coøn soáng chaêng? Ta muoán vì côù Gioâ-na-than maø laøm ôn cho ngöôøi.
9:2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Are you Ziba? And he said, Your servant is he.
9:2 Vaû, coù moät toâi tôù cuûa nhaø Sau-lô, teân laø Xíp-ba; ngöôøi ta goïi noù ñeán cuøng Ña-vít. Vua hoûi: Ngöôi laø Xíp-ba chaêng? Ngöôøi thöa: Phaûi, aáy laø toâi, keû ñaày tôù vua.
9:3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan has yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
9:3 Vua tieáp raèng: Chaúng coøn coù ngöôøi naøo veà nhaø Sau-lô sao? Ta muoán laáy ôn cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø ñaõi ngöôøi. Xíp-ba thöa cuøng vua raèng: Coøn moät ngöôøi con trai cuûa Gioâ-na-than bò taät hai chôn.
9:4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
9:4 Vua hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi ôû ñaâu? Xíp-ba thöa raèng: Ngöôøi ôû trong nhaø Ma-ki, con trai A-mi-eân, taïi Loâ-ñeâ-ba.
9:5 Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
9:5 Vua Ña-vít beøn sai tôùi nhaø Ma-ki, con trai A-mi-eân, taïi Loâ-ñeâ-ba, maø ñoøi ngöôøi ñeán.
9:6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!
9:6 Khi Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Gioâ-na-than, chaùu Sau-lô, ñaõ ñeán beân Ña-vít, thì saáp mình xuoáng ñaát vaø laïy. Ña-vít noùi: ÔÙ Meâ-phi-boâ-seát! Ngöôøi thöa: Coù toâi tôù vua ñaây.
9:7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.
9:7 Ña-vít noùi cuõng ngöôøi raèng: Chôù sôï; ta muoán laøm ôn cho ngöôi vì côù Gioâ-na-than, cha ngöôi; ta seõ traû laïi cho ngöôi nhöõng ñaát cuûa Sau-lô, oâng noäi ngöôi, vaø ngöôi seõ aên chung baøn ta luoân luoân.
9:8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I am?
9:8 Meâ-phi-boâ-seát beøn laïy, maø noùi raèng: Keû toâi tôù vua laø gì, maø vua laïi ñoaùi maét ñeán moät con choù cheát, nhö toâi ñaây?
9:9 Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto your master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
9:9 Vua beøn goïi Xíp-ba, toâi tôù cuûa Sau-lô, maø noùi raèng: Ta ñaõ ban cho con trai chuû ngöôi moïi taøi saûn thuoäc veà Sau-lô vaø nhaø ngöôøi.
9:10 You therefore, and your sons, and your servants, shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in the fruits, that your master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
9:10 Vaäy, ngöôi cuøng caùc con trai vaø toâi tôù ngöôi phaûi caøy ñaát ñoù cho ngöôøi, roài noäp hoa lôïi ñaát sanh saûn, haàu cho con trai chuû ngöôi coù baùnh aên. Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, con trai chuû ngöôi, seõ aên chung baøn ta luoân luoân. Vaû Xíp-ba coù möôøi laêm con trai vaø hai möôi toâi tôù.
9:11 Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
9:11 Xíp-ba thöa cuøng vua raèng: Keû toâi tôù vua seõ laøm moïi ñieàu vua chuùa toâi daën bieåu. Aáy vaäy, Meâ-phi-boâ-seát aên chung baøn Ña-vít nhö moät con trai cuûa vua vaäy.
9:12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
9:12 Meâ-phi-boâ-seát coù moät con trai nhoû, teân laø Mi-ca; vaø heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi ôû trong nhaø Xíp-ba ñeàu laø toâi tôù cuûa Meâ-phi-boâ-seát.
9:13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
9:13 Meâ-phi-boâ-seát ôû taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, bôûi vì ngöôi aên luoân chung baøn cuûa vua. Ngöôøi bò queø hai chôn.
10:1 And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his position.
10:1 Sau vieäc aáy, vua daân Am-moân baêng, vaø Ha-nun, con trai ngöôøi, keá vò.
10:2 Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
10:2 Ña-vít noùi: Ta muoán laøm ôn cho Ha-nun, con trai cuûa Na-haùch, nhö cha ngöôøi ñaõ laøm ôn cho ta. Vaäy, Ña-vít sai toâi tôù mình ñi ñeán an uûy ngöôøi veà söï cheát cuûa cha ngöôøi; caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít ñeán trong xöù cuûa daân Am-moân.
10:3 And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Think you that David does honour your father, that he has sent comforters unto you? has not David rather sent his servants unto you, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?
10:3 Nhöng caùc quan tröôûng cuûa daân Am-moân noùi cuøng Ha-nun, chuùa mình, raèng: Oâng töôûng raèng Ña-vít sai nhöõng keû an uûy ñeán cuøng oâng laø vì toân kính cha oâng sao? Ña-vít sai nhöõng toâi tôù ngöôøi ñeán cuøng oâng, haù chaúng phaûi vì muoán xem xeùt thaønh, do thaùm noù ñaëng phaù dieät ñi chaêng?
10:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.
10:4 Vaäy, Ha-nun baét caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít, caïo phaân nöûa raâu hoï, caét phaân nöûa quaàn aùo cho ñeán nöûa thaân mình; ñoaïn cho hoï ñi veà.
10:5 When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
10:5 Coù ngöôøi thuaät laïi vieäc aáy cuøng Ña-vít; ngöôøi beøn sai keû ñi ñoùn maáy ngöôøi aáy, vì hoï laáy laøm hoå theïn laém. Vua sai baûo raèng: Haõy ôû taïi Gieâ-ri-coâ cho ñeán chöøng raâu cuûa caùc ngöôi ñaõ moïc laïi; ñoaïn caùc ngöôi seõ trôû veà.
10:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.
10:6 Khi daân Am-moân thaáy mình bò Ña-vít gôùm gheùt, beøn sai ngöôøi ñi chieâu moä daân Sy-ri ôû Beát-Reâ-hoát vaø ôû Xoâ-ba, soá chöøng hai vaïn lính boä; laïi chieâu moä vua Ma -a-ca vôùi moät ngaøn ngöôøi, vaø moät vaïn hai ngaøn ngöôøi ôû xöù Toùp.
10:7 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
10:7 Ña-vít hay ñöôïc ñieàu ñoù, lieàn sai Gioâ-aùp vôùi caùc doõng só cuûa ñaïo binh mình ñi ñaùnh chuùng noù.
10:8 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.
10:8 Daân Am-moân keùo ra, daøn traän taïi nôi cöûa thaønh, coøn daân Sy-ri ôû Xoâ-ba vaø ôû Reâ-hoùp, nhöõng ngöôøi ôû Toùp vaø ôû Ma -a-ca ñeàu ñoùng rieâng ra trong ñoàng baèng.
10:9 When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:
10:9 Gioâ-aùp thaáy quaân giaëc haõm ñaùnh ñaèng tröôùc vaø ñaèng sau, beøn choïn ngöôøi lính trong ñaïo tinh binh Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø daøn binh ñoù ra cuøng daân Sy-ri;
10:10 And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.
10:10 coøn binh coøn laïi, ngöôøi trao cho A-bi-sai, em mình, ñaëng baøy traän ñoái cuøng daân Am-moân.
10:11 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you shall help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will come and help you.
10:11 Ngöôøi noùi cuøng A-bi-sai raèng: Neáu daân Sy-ri maïnh hôn anh, em seõ ñeán giuùp anh; nhöng neáu daân Am-moân maïnh hôn em, anh seõ ñeán giuùp em.
10:12 Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seems him good.
10:12 Haõy vöõng loøng beàn chí, ñaùnh giaëc caùch can ñaûm, vì daân söï ta vaø vì caùc thaønh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta; nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm theo yù Ngaøi laáy laøm toát!
10:13 And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.
10:13 Ñoaïn, Gioâ-aùp vôùi quaân lính theo ngöôøi ñeàu ñeán gaàn, giao chieán cuøng daân Sy-ri; chuùng chaïy troán tröôùc maët ngöôøi.
10:14 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
10:14 Baáy giôø, vì daân Am-moân thaáy daân Sy-ri chaïy troán, thì chuùng cuõng chaïy troán khoûi tröôùc maët A-bi-sai, vaø vaøo trong thaønh. Gioâ-aùp lìa khoûi daân Am-moân maø trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
10:15 And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.
10:15 Daân Sy-ri thaáy mình bò daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùnh baïi, beøn nhoùm hieäp laïi.
10:16 And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
10:16 Ha-ña-reâ-xe sai chieâu daân Sy-ri ôû beân kia soâng; chuùng noù ñeán Heâ-lam, coù Soâ-baùc laøm toång binh cuûa Ha-ña-reâ-xe, quaûn suaát.
10:17 And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

10:18 And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and stroke Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
10:18 Nhöng chuùng chaïy troán tröôùc maët Y-sô-ra-eân. Ña-vít gieát baûy traêm xe binh cuûa daân Sy-ri, vaø boán muoân lính kò. Ngöôøi cuõng gieát Soâ-baùc, toång binh cuûa chuùng noù, vaø noù cheát taïi ñoù.
10:19 And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
10:19 Khi caùc vua chö haàu cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân thaáy mình bò Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùnh baïi, thì laäp hoøa cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân vaø phuïc dòch hoï; daân Sy-ri khoâng coøn daùm giuùp daân Am-moân nöõa.
11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
11:1 Qua naêm môùi, khi caùc vua thöôøng ra tranh chieán, Ña-vít sai Gioâ-aùp cuøng caùc toâi tôù mình vaø caû ñaïo binh Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùnh giaëc; chuùng cöôùp phaù xöù daân Am-moân vaø vaây thaønh Raùp-ba. Nhöng vua Ña-vít ôû laïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
11:2 And it came to pass in an evening-time, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
11:2 Moät buoåi chieàu kia, Ña-vít choåi daäy khoûi giöôøng mình, ñi daïo chôi treân noùc ñeàn vua, beøn thaáy moät ngöôøi nöõ ñöông taém; ngöôøi nöõ aáy raát laø lòch söï.
11:3 And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
11:3 Ña-vít sai hoûi ngöôøi nöõ aáy laø ai, thì ngöôøi ta thöa raèng: Aáy laø Baùt-Seâ-ba, con gaùi cuûa EÂ-li-am, vôï cuûa U-ri, ngöôøi Heâ-tít.
11:4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

11:5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.

11:7 And when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.
11:7 U-ri ñeán, Ña-vít hoûi thaêm veà Gioâ-aùp vaø ñaïo binh coù bình an chaêng, cuøng chieán traän ra theå naøo.
11:8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to your house, and wash your feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a portion of food from the king.
11:8 Ñoaïn, vua noùi cuøng U-ri raèng: Haõy ñi xuoáng nhaø ngöôi vaø röûa chôn ñi. Vaäy, U-ri ñi ra khoûi ñeàn vua, coù ngöôøi ñem theo ngöôøi moät cuûa aên nhaø vua.
11:9 But Uriah slept at the door of the king's house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
11:9 Nhöng U-ri khoâng veà nhaø mình, nguû taïi cöûa ñeàn vua cuøng caùc toâi tôù vua.
11:10 And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Came you not from your journey? why then did you not go down unto yours house?
11:10 Ngöôøi ta thuaät ñieàu ñoù cho Ña-vít vaø noùi raèng: U-ri khoâng coù ñi xuoáng nhaø ngöôøi. Ña-vít hoûi U-ri raèng: Chôù thì ngöôi chaúng ñi ñöôøng trôû veà sao? Côù sao khoâng ñi xuoáng nhaø ngöôi?
11:11 And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing.
11:11 U-ri thöa cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Hoøm giao öôùc, Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø Giu-ña, vaãn ôû döôùi traïi, Gioâ-aùp, laø chuùa toâi, luoân vôùi caùc toâi tôù chuùa toâi ñöông haï traïi nôi ñoàng troáng, coøn toâi laïi vaøo nhaø mình ñaëng aên, uoáng, vaø nguû cuøng vôï mình sao? Toâi chæ maïng soáng vaø linh hoàn cuûa vua maø theà raèng, toâi chaúng bieát laøm moät söï nhö vaäy!
11:12 And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and tomorrow I will let you depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the next day.
11:12 Ña-vít noùi cuøng U-ri raèng: Haõy coøn ôû ñaây ngaøy nay, roài mai ta seõ sai ngöôi ñi. Vaäy, U-ri ôû laïi taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ngaøy aáy vaø ngaøy sau.
11:13 And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
11:13 Ñoaïn, Ña-vít vôøi ngöôøi aên uoáng taïi tröôùc maët mình, vaø laøm cho ngöôøi say; nhöng chieàu toái, U-ri ñi ra nguû treân giöôøng mình vôùi caùc toâi tôù cuûa ngöôøi, chôù khoâng coù ñi xuoáng nhaø mình.
11:14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
11:14 Saùng ngaøy mai, Ña-vít vieát moät caùi thô cho Gioâ-aùp, vaø gôûi nôi tay U-ri.
11:15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set all of you Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire all of you from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
11:15 Ngöôøi vieát nhö vaày: Haõy ñaët U-ri taïi haøng ñaàu, nôi hieåm nguy hôn heát cuûa chieán traän, roài haõy ruùt ra xa ngöôøi, ñeå ngöôøi bò ñaùnh vaø cheát ñi.
11:16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
11:16 Vaäy, khi Gioâ-aùp vaây thaønh, beøn ñaët U-ri taïi choã ñaõ bieát coù lính maïnh baïo cuûa thuø nghòch gìn giöõ.
11:17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
11:17 Ngöôøi trong thaønh keùo ra ñaùnh Gioâ-aùp, coù maáy ngöôøi trong boïn toâi tôù Ña-vít ngaõ cheát. U-ri, ngöôøi Heâ-tít, cuõng cheát.
11:18 Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war;
11:18 Gioâ-aùp beøn sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng Ña-vít ñaëng thuaät cho ngöôøi bieát ñaàu ñuoâi cuûa söï chinh chieán.
11:19 And charged the messenger, saying, When you have made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king,
11:19 Vaø ngöôøi truyeàn lònh cho söù giaû raèng: Khi ngöôi ñaõ thuaät xong cho vua moïi ñieàu ñaõ xaûy ra nôi chieán traän,
11:20 And if so be that the king's wrath arise, and he say unto you, Wherefore approached all of you so nigh unto the city when all of you did fight? knew all of you not that they would shoot from the wall?
11:20 neáu vua noåi giaän noùi cuøng ngöôi raèng: Côù sao caùc ngöôi ñi tôùi gaàn quaù ñaëng haõm thaønh vaäy? Caùc ngöôi haù chaúng bieát raèng ngöôøi ta ôû treân choùt vaùch thaønh baén teân xuoáng sao?
11:21 Who stroke Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went all of you nigh the wall? then say you, Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
11:21 Xöa ai gieát A-bi-meâ-leùc, con trai cuûa Gieâ-ruùt-beâ-seát? Haù chaúng phaûi moät ngöôøi nöõ ôû treân choùt vaùch thaønh neùm moät thôùt coái xuoáng treân ngöôøi laøm cho ngöôøi cheát taïi Teâ-beát sao? Vì sao caùc ngöôi ñeán gaàn vaùch thaønh nhö vaäy? thì baáy giôø ngöôi seõ tieáp raèng: U-ri, keû toâi tôù vua, ngöôøi Heâ-tít, cuõng cheát nöõa.
11:22 So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for.
11:22 Nhö vaäy, söù giaû ñi; khi ngöôøi ñeán nôi, thuaät cho Ña-vít bieát moïi ñieàu Gioâ-aùp ñaõ daën ngöôøi.
11:23 And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate.
11:23 Söù giaû taâu cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Ban ñaàu nhöõng quaân ñoù maïnh hôn chuùng toâi, keùo ra ñeán ngoaøi ñoàng; nhöng chuùng toâi ñaùnh ñuoåi chuùng noù ñeán cöûa thaønh.
11:24 And the shooters shot from off the wall upon your servants; and some of the king's servants be dead, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
11:24 Caùc lính caàm cung ôû treân vaùch thaønh coù baén nhöõng toâi tôù vua, coù vaøi ngöôøi bò cheát; U-ri, ngöôøi Heâ-tít, laø toâi tôù vua, cuõng cheát nöõa.
11:25 Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shall you say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease you, for the sword devours one as well as another: make your battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage you him.
11:25 Ña-vít ñaùp cuøng söù giaû raèng: Ngöôi haõy noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp: Chôù laáy laøm cöïc loøng quaù veà ñieàu ñoù; göôm, khi gieát keû naày, khi gieát keû khaùc. Haõy raùn söùc haõm thaønh vaø huûy dieät noù ñi. Coøn ngöôi haõy giuïc ngöôøi vöõng loøng beàn chí.
11:26 And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.
11:26 Khi vôï U-ri hay raèng choàng mình ñaõ thaùc, thì than khoùc U-ri.
11:27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.
11:27 Khi ñaõ maõn tang, Ña-vít sai vôøi naøng vaøo cung; naøng trôû neân vôï ngöôøi, sanh cho ngöôøi moät con trai. Nhöng ñieàu Ña-vít ñaõ laøm ñoù khoâng ñeïp loøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
12:1 And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
12:1 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va sai Na-than ñeán cuøng Ña-vít. Vaäy, Na-than ñeán cuøng ngöôøi maø raèng: Trong moät thaønh kia coù hai ngöôøi, ngöôøi naày giaøu, coøn ngöôøi kia ngheøo.
12:2 The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:
12:2 Ngöôøi giaøu coù chieân boø raát nhieàu;
12:3 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own food, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.
12:3 nhöng ngöôøi ngheøo, neáu chaúng keå moät con chieân caùi nhoû maø ngöôøi ñaõ mua, thì chaúng coù gì heát. Ngöôøi nuoâi noù; noù cuøng lôùn leân vôùi con caùi ngöôøi taïi nhaø ngöôøi, aên ñoà ngöôøi aên, uoáng ñoà ngöôøi uoáng, vaø nguû treân loøng ngöôøi; noù nhö moät con gaùi cuûa ngöôøi vaäy.
12:4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the travelling man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
12:4 Vaû, coù ngöôøi khaùch ñeán ngöôøi giaøu; ngöôøi giaøu tieác khoâng muoán ñuïng ñeán chieân boø cuûa mình ñaëng doïn moät böõa aên cho ngöôøi khaùch ñaõ ñeán, beøn baét con chieân con cuûa ngöôøi ngheøo vaø doïn cho keû khaùc ñaõ ñeán thaêm mình.
12:5 And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD lives, the man that has done this thing shall surely die:
12:5 Ña-vít beøn noåi giaän laém cuøng ngöôøi aáy, vaø noùi cuøng Na-than raèng: Ta chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng maø theà, ngöôøi ñaõ phaïm ñieàu aáy thaät ñaùng cheát!
12:6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.
12:6 Haén phaûi thöôøng boán laàn giaù chieân con, vì ñaõ laøm nhö vaäy, vaø vì khoâng coù loøng thöông xoùt.
12:7 And Nathan said to David, You are the man. Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul;
12:7 Baáy giôø, Na-than noùi cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Vua laø ngöôøi ñoù! Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân coù phaùn nhö vaày: Ta ñaõ xöùc daàu laäp ngöôi laøm vua Y-sô-ra-eân, ta ñaõ giaûi cöùu ngöôi khoûi tay Sau-lô.
12:8 And I gave you your master's house, and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto you such and such things.
12:8 Ta cuõng ban cho ngöôi nhaø cuûa chuû ngöôi, laäp ngöôi laøm vua cuûa nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân vaø Giu-ña, vaø neáu ñieàu ñoù khoâng ñuû, aét ta seõ theâm cho ôn khaùc nöõa.
12:9 Wherefore have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? you have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
12:9 Côù sau ngöôi ñaõ khinh bæ lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø laøm ñieàu khoâng ñeïp loøng Ngaøi? Ngöôi ñaõ duøng göôm gieát U-ri, ngöôøi Heâ-tít, laáy vôï noù laøm vôï ngöôi, coøn noù thì ngöôi ñaõ gieát bôûi göôm cuûa daân Am-moân.
12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from yours house; because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
12:10 Neân baây giôø, göôm chaúng heà thoâi huûy hoaïi nhaø ngöôi, bôûi vì ngöôi ñaõ khinh ta, cöôùp vôï U-ri, ngöôøi Heâ-tít, ñaëng naøng laøm vôï ngöôi.
12:11 Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of yours own house, and I will take your wives before yours eyes, and give them unto your neighbour, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta seõ khieán töø nhaø ngöôi noåi leân nhöõng tai hoïa giaùng treân ngöôi; ta seõ baét caùc vôï ngöôi taïi tröôùc maét ngöôi trao cho moät ngöôøi laân caän ngöôi, noù seõ laøm nhuïc chuùng noù taïi nôi baïch nhöït.
12:12 For you did it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
12:12 Vì ngöôi ñaõ laøm söï kia caùch kín nhieäm, nhöng ta seõ laøm vieäc naày tröôùc maët caû Y-sô-ra-eân vaø taïi nôi baïch nhöït.
12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
12:13 Ña-vít beøn noùi cuøng Na-than raèng: Ta ñaõ phaïm toäi cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Na-than ñaùp cuøng Ña-vít raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va cuõng ñaõ xoùa toäi vua; vua khoâng cheát ñaâu.
12:14 Nevertheless, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto you shall surely die.
12:14 Nhöng vì vieäc naày vua ñaõ gaây dòp cho nhöõng keû thuø nghòch Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va noùi phaïm ñeán Ngaøi, neân con trai ñaõ sanh cho ngöôi haún seõ cheát.
12:15 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
12:15 Ñoaïn, Na-than trôû veà nhaø mình. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn ñaùnh ñöùa treû maø vôï cuûa U-ri ñaõ sanh cho Ña-vít, vaø noù bò ñau naëng laém.
12:16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
12:16 Ña-vít vì con caàu khaån Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaø kieâng aên; ñoaïn, ngöôøi trôû vaøo nhaø, troïn ñeâm naèm döôùi ñaát.
12:17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
12:17 Caùc tröôûng laõo trong nhaø choåi daäy ñöùng chung quanh ngöôøi ñaëng ñôõ ngöôøi leân khoûi ñaát; nhöng ngöôøi khoâng khöùng, vaø chaúng aên vôùi hoï.
12:18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
12:18 Ngaøy thöù baûy ñöùa treû cheát. Caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít ngaïi cho ngöôøi bieát ñöùa treû ñaõ cheát; vì hoï noùi raèng: Luùc ñöùa treû coøn soáng, chuùng toâi coù khuyeân giaûi vua, vua khoâng khöùng nghe chuùng toâi; vaäy laøm sao chuùng toâi laïi daùm noùi cuøng vua raèng ñöùa treû ñaõ cheát? Coù leõ vua ruûi ro!
12:19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
12:19 Nhöng Ña-vít thaáy nhöõng toâi tôù noù nhoû nhoû, hieåu raèng ñöùa treû ñaõ cheát, neân hoûi raèng: Coù phaûi ñöùa treû ñaõ cheát chaêng? Hoï thöa: Phaûi, ñaõ cheát roài.
12:20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
12:20 Baáy giôø, Ña-vít chôø daäy khoûi ñaát, taém mình, xöùc daàu thôm, vaø thay quaàn aùo; roài ngöôøi ñi vaøo ñeán cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø thôø laïy. Ñoaïn, ngöôøi trôû veà cung, truyeàn doïn vaät thöïc cho mình, vaø ngöôøi aên.
12:21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that you have done? you did fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.
12:21 Caùc toâi tôù hoûi ngöôøi raèng: Vua laøm chi vaäy? Khi ñöùa treû naày coøn soáng, vua kieâng aên vaø khoùc vì noù; vaø baáy giôø, noù ñaõ cheát vua chôø daäy vaø aên!
12:22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
12:22 Vua ñaùp: Khi ñöùa treû coøn soáng, ta kieâng aên vaø khoùc loùc, vì ta nghóa raèng: Naøo ai bieát; coù leõ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ thöông xoùt ta, vaø cho ñöùa treû ñöôïc soáng chaêng.
12:23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
12:23 Nhöng baây giôø noù ñaõ cheát, ta kieâng aên laøm chi? Ta coù theá laøm cho noù trôû laïi ö? Ta seõ ñi ñeán noù nhöng noù khoâng trôû laïi cuøng ta.
12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.
12:24 Ña-vít an uûy Baùt-seâ-ba, vôï mình, ñeán nguû cuøng naøng; naøng sanh moät ñöùa trai, ñaët teân laø Sa-loâ-moân. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va yeâu meán Sa-loâ-moân,
12:25 And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
12:25 neân Ngaøi sai ñaáng tieân tri Na-than ñeán ñaët teân cho noù laø Gieâ-ñi-ñia, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va yeâu meán noù.
12:26 And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.
12:26 Gioâ-aùp ñaùnh Raùp-ba cuûa daân Am-moân, vaø haõm laáy ñeá ñoâ.
12:27 And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.
12:27 Ngöôøi sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng Ña-vít maø noùi raèng: Toâi coù ñaùnh Raùp-ba vaø haõm laáy thaønh ôû maïn döôùi roài.
12:28 Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and camp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.

12:29 And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.
12:29 Vaäy, vua Ña-vít nhoùm hieäp caû daân söï, keùo ñeán ñaùnh Raùp-ba, vaây vaø haõm laáy noù.
12:30 And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

12:31 And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
12:31 Ngöôøi ñieäu daân söï ôû thaønh aáy ra, baét chuùng phaûi laøm coâng dòch baèng cöa, böøa saét, rìu saét, vaø loø gaïch; ngöôøi cuõng ñaõi heát thaûy thaønh cuûa daân Am-moân nhö vaäy. Ñoaïn, Ña-vít vaø caû daân söï ñeàu trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
13:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
13:1 Keá sau aáy, xaûy coù vieäc naày: Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai cuûa Ña-vít, coù moät em gaùi ruoät, teân laø Ta-ma, raát lòch söï; Am-noân, con trai cuûa Ña-vít, thöông naøng.
13:2 And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.
13:2 Am-noân meâ meät vì côù Ta-ma em gaùi mình; ñeán ñoãi thaønh bònh; vì naøng laø ñoàng trinh, laáy laøm khoù cho Am-noân ñöôïc chi vôùi naøng.
13:3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man.
13:3 Vaû, Am-noân coù moät baïn höõu teân laø Gioâ-na-ñaùp, con trai cuûa Si-meâ -a, laø anh Ña-vít; ngöôøi naày raát quæ quyeät.
13:4 And he said unto him, Why are you, being the king's son, lean from day to day? will you not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
13:4 Gioâ-na-ñaùp noùi cuøng Am-noân raèng: Hôõi vöông töû, nhôn sao moät ngaøy moät hao moøn nhö vaäy? Vöông töû seõ thuù thaät vôùi toâi chaêng? Am-noân ñaùp: Ta thöông Ta-ma, em gaùi cuûa Aùp-sa-loâm, laø em trai ta.
13:5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay you down on your bed, and make yourself sick: and when your father comes to see you, say unto him, I pray you, let my sister Tamar come, and give me food, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
13:5 Gioâ-na-ñaùp noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Vöông töû haõy naèm treân giöôøng, laøm boä ñau; roài khi vua cha ñeán thaêm, haõy noùi raèng: con xin cha cho Ta-ma, em gaùi con, ñeán cho con aên; noù seõ doïn moùn aên tröôùc maët con, con seõ thaáy noù laøm, vaø seõ nhaän laáy ñoà aên töø nôi tay noù.
13:6 So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray you, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
13:6 Vaäy, Am-noân naèm laøm boä ñau. Vua ñeán thaêm, thì Am-noân noùi cuøng vua raèng: Con xin cha cho Ta-ma ñeán ñaây, laøm hai caùi baùnh nhoû taïi tröôùc maét con; con seõ nhaän laáy baùnh aáy nôi tay noù.
13:7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to your brother Amnon's house, and dress him food.
13:7 Ña-vít sai ngöôøi ñeán cuøng Ta-ma, baûo naøng raèng: Haõy ñi ñeán nhaø Am-moân, anh con, vaø laøm moùn chi ñeå aên.
13:8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
13:8 Ta-ma ñi ñeán nhaø anh mình; ngöôøi ñöông naèm. Tröôùc maët ngöôøi, naøng laáy boät mì, nhoài laøm baùnh nhoû vaø haáp ñi.
13:9 And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
13:9 Ñoaïn, naøng nhaéc chaûo nhoû xuoáng, vaø truùt baùnh ra trong maâm; nhöng Am-noân töø choái khoâng aên, beøn noùi raèng: Haõy bieåu moïi ngöôøi ra khoûi ñaây. Heát thaûy ñeàu lui ra.
13:10 And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat of yours hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
13:10 Baáy giôø, Am-noân noùi cuøng Ta-ma raèng: Haõy böng ñoà aên em ñaõ doïn cho anh vaøo trong phoøng, ñeå anh nhaän laáy noù töø nôi tay em. Ta-ma beøn laáy caùc baùnh nhoû mình ñaõ laøm, böng vaøo cho Am-noân, anh mình, ôû trong phoøng.
13:11 And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.
13:11 Naøng daâng baùnh cho ngöôøi aên; nhöng ngöôøi vôù laáy naøng maø raèng: Em ôi, haõy ñeán nguû cuøng anh.
13:12 And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not you this folly.
13:12 Naøng ñaùp vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Khoâng ñöôïc anh; chôù laøm nhuïc toâi, vì trong Y-sô-ra-eân ngöôøi ta chaúng laøm nhö vaäy. Chôù phaïm söï oâ haïnh naày!
13:13 And I, where shall I cause my shame to go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from you.
13:13 Toâi seõ mang söï sæ nhuïc toâi ñi ñaâu? Coøn anh seõ nhö moät ngöôøi oâ danh trong Y-sô-ra-eân. Thaø anh noùi cuøng vua thì hôn; vua chaúng caám anh laáy toâi laøm vôï.
13:14 Nevertheless he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
13:14 Nhöng Am-noân khoâng khöùng nghe naøng; vaø vì ngöôøi maïnh hôn, beøn gian hieáp naøng, naèm cuøng naøng.
13:15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
13:15 Roài ñoù, Am-noân laáy laøm gôùm gheùt naøng quaù, ñeán ñoãi tình ngöôøi ghen gheùt naøng laïi lôùn hôn tình thöông yeâu naøng khi tröôùc. Am-noân noùi cuøng naøng raèng: Haõy ñöùng daäy, ñi ñi!
13:16 And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you did unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
13:16 Naøng ñaùp: Chôù ñuoåi toâi ñi maø laøm cho toâi moät söï quaáy lôùn hôn söï quaáy anh ñaõ laøm roài! Nhöng ngöôøi khoâng khöùng nghe naøng;
13:17 Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
13:17 beøn goïi moät ñöùa treû haàu haï, maø bieåu raèng: Haõy ñuoåi ñôøn baø naày ra khoûi tröôùc maët ta, roài ñoùng cöûa khoùa choát laïi!
13:18 And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
13:18 Vaû, naøng maëc moät caùi aùo trong daøi, vì caùc coâng chuùa ñeàu maëc aùo nhö theá ñöông khi coøn ñoàng trinh. Vaäy, toâi tôù cuûa Am-noân ñuoåi naøng ra vaø ñoùng cöûa laïi.
13:19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
13:19 Ta-ma beøn boû tro treân ñaàu mình, xeù aùo daøi, vaø böng tay treân ñaàu, vöøa ñi vöøa caát tieáng la.
13:20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, Has Amnon your brother been with you? but hold now your peace, my sister: he is your brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
13:20 Aùp-sa-loâm, anh naøng, hoûi naøng raèng: Coù phaûi Am-noân, anh cuûa em ñaõ naèm cuøng em chaêng? Theá thì, hôõi em, haõy laøm thinh, vì laø anh cuûa em; chôù laáy söï ñoù maø cöïc loøng quaù! Nhö vaäy, Ta-ma ôû rieâng ra nôi nhaø Aùp-sa-loâm, anh naøng.
13:21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very angry.
13:21 Vua Ña-vít hay ñöôïc caùc ñieàu ñoù, beøn giaän laém.
13:22 And Absalom spoke unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
13:22 Aùp-sa-loâm chaúng coøn noùi cuøng Am-noân moät lôøi naøo, hoaëc laønh hay döõ, vì ngöôøi gheùt Am-noân, bôûi Am-noân ñaõ gian hieáp Ta-ma, em gaùi mình.
13:23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
13:23 Caùc hai naêm sau, ñöông luùc Aùp-sa-loâm hôùt loâng chieân mình taïi Ba-anh-Haùt-so gaàn Eùp-ra-im, ngöôøi môøi heát thaûy caùc vöông töû.
13:24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, your servant has sheepshearers; let the king, I plead to you, and his servants go with your servant.
13:24 Aùp-sa-loâm ñeán cuøng vua maø thöa raèng: Keû toâi tôù vua coù nhöõng thôï hôùt loâng chieân nôi nhaø; vaäy, xin vua cuøng quaàn thaàn cuûa vua ñeán nhaø keû toâi tôù vua.
13:25 And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto you. And he pressed him: nevertheless he would not go, but blessed him.
13:25 Nhöng vua ñaùp cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Khoâng ñöôïc, con; heát thaûy chuùng ta khoâng ñi ñeán nhaø con, vì seõ laøm toån phí cho con. Maëc daàu Aùp-sa-loâm coá naøi, Ña-vít khoâng chòu ñi ñeán ñoù; nhöng Ña-vít chuùc phöôùc cho ngöôøi.
13:26 Then said Absalom, If not, I pray you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with you?
13:26 Aùp-sa-loâm beøn noùi raèng: Neáu vua khoâng ñeán, xin cho pheùp Am-noân, anh toâi, ñeán cuøng chuùng toâi. Vua ñaùp: Côù sao noù seõ ñi ñeán cuøng con?
13:27 But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
13:27 Nhöng Aùp-sa-loâm coá naøi ñeán ñoãi vua ñeå cho Am-noân vaø heát thaûy vöông töû ñi vôùi ngöôøi.
13:28 Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark all of you now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Strike Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.
13:28 Vaû, Aùp-sa-loâm truyeàn lònh cho caùc toâi tôù mình raèng: Haõy yù töù, xem khi loøng Am-noân vui vì röôïu, vaø khi ta baûo caùc ngöôi: Haõy ñaùnh Am-noân, thì baáy giôø, haõy gieát haén ñi, chôù sôï chi: aáy chính ta daën bieåu caùc ngöôi laøm ñieàu ñoù. Khaù can ñaûm, toû mình ra maïnh baïo!
13:29 And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man got him up upon his mule, and fled.
13:29 Caùc toâi tôù Aùp-sa-loâm xöû Am-noân y nhö ngöôøi ñaõ truyeàn cho hoï. Baáy giôø, caùc vöông töû ñöùng daäy, côõi löøa vaø chaïy troán.
13:30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom has slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
13:30 Ñöông khi caùc vöông töû ôû doïc ñöôøng, coù tieáng thaáu ñeán vua Ña-vít raèng Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ gieát caùc vöông töû roài, khoâng coù moät ai thoaùt khoûi.
13:31 Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
13:31 Vua ñöùng daäy, xeù aùo mình vaø naèm döôùi ñaát; heát thaûy toâi tôù ngöôøi ñöùng chaàu gaàn beân, aùo cuõng xeù raùch.
13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
13:32 Nhöng Gioâ-na-ñaùp, con trai Si-meâ -a, laø anh Ña-vít, caát tieáng noùi raèng: Xin chuùa toâi chôù töôûng raèng caùc vöông töû cuûa chuùa ñaõ bò gieát heát; vì chæ moät mình Am-noân bò cheát thoâi; aáy laø vieäc Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ ñònh yù laøm töø ngaøy Am-noân gian hieáp Ta-ma, em gaùi cuûa ngöôøi.
13:33 Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
13:33 Aáy vaäy, xin vua chuùa toâi, chôù töôûng raèng heát thaûy vöông töû ñaõ cheát; chæ moät mình Am-noân cheát ñoù thoâi.
13:34 But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.
13:34 Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ chaïy troán. Keû toâi tôù ñöông ôû voïng canh, ngöôùc maét leân, nhìn thaáy moät ñoaøn ngöôøi ñoâng laém ñi tôùi, do theo ñöôøng taây, veà phía nuùi.
13:35 And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as your servant said, so it is.
13:35 Gioâ-na-ñaùp taâu cuøng vua raèng: Toâi thaáy caùc vöông töû ñeán; vieäc ñaõ xaûy ra y nhö toâi tôù vua ñaõ noùi.
13:36 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
13:36 Ngöôøi noùi vöøa döùt, thì thaáy caùc vöông töû ñeán; hoï ñeàu caát tieáng leân khoùc. Vua vaø heát thaûy toâi tôù cuõng ñeàu tuoân traøn gioït luïy.
13:37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
13:37 Coøn Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ chaïy troán, vaø aån taïi nhaø Thanh-mai, con trai A-mi-huùt, vua xöù Ghe-su-rô. Ña-vít ñeå tang cho con trai mình luoân luoân.
13:38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
13:38 Aùp-sa-loâm troán taïi xöù Gheâ-su-rô ba naêm.
13:39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
13:39 Ñoaïn, vua Ña-vít boû khoâng ñuoåi theo Aùp-sa-loâm nöõa, vì vua ñaõ ñöôïc giaûi buoàn veà söï cheát cuûa Am-noân.
14:1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.
14:1 Baáy giôø, Gioâ-aùp, con trai cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, thaáy loøng vua höôùng veà Aùp-sa-loâm,
14:2 And Joab sent to Tekoah, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray you, feign yourself to be a mourner, and put on now mourning apparel, and anoint not yourself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead:
14:2 thì sai ñi tìm taïi Theâ-coâ -a moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø khoân kheùo, maø daën naøng raèng: Haõy laøm boä coù tang, maëc aùo cheá, chôù xöùc daàu treân ñaàu naøng, song haõy coù daùng moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø ñaõ töø laâu ngaøy khoùc moät keû cheát.
14:3 And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
14:3 Ñoaïn, haõy vaøo ñeàn vua, taâu cuøng vua theo caùch naày. Gioâ-aùp beøn ñeå trong mieäng naøng caùc lôøi naøng phaûi noùi.
14:4 And when the woman of Tekoah spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, and did reverence, and said, Help, O king.
14:4 Vaäy, ngöôøi ñôøn baø ôû Theâ-coâ -a ñi ñeán cuøng vua, saáp mình xuoáng ñaát maø laïy, roài taâu raèng: Laïy vua, xin haõy cöùu toâi!
14:5 And the king said unto her, What disturbs you? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and mine husband is dead.
14:5 Vua noùi: Ngöôi muoán chi? Naøng thöa raèng: Hôõi oâi! toâi goùa buïa, choàng toâi ñaõ cheát.
14:6 And your handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one stroke the other, and slew him.
14:6 Keû ñoøi vua voán coù hai con trai; chuùng noù ñaõ ñaùnh loän vôùi nhau ôû ngoaøi ñoàng, vaø vì khoâng ai can, neân ñöùa naày ñaùnh ñöùa kia cheát.
14:7 And, behold, the whole family has risen against yours handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that stroke his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
14:7 Vì ñoù, caû doøng hoï ñeàu daáy leân nghòch cuøng con ñoøi cuûa vua, vaø noùi raèng: Haõy noäp cho chuùng ta keû ñaõ gieát em mình, chuùng ta muoán gieát noù, ñeå baùo thuø em noù maø noù ñaõ gieát; vaø maëc daàu noù laø keû keá nghieäp, chuùng ta cuõng seõ dieät noù. Vaäy, chuùng toan taét ñoùm löûa coøn taïi cho toâi, khoâng ñeå cho choàng toâi hoaëc danh, hoaëc doøng doõi gì treân maët ñaát.
14:8 And the king said unto the woman, Go to yours house, and I will give charge concerning you.
14:8 Vua noùi cuøng ngöôøi ñôøn baø raèng: Haõy trôû veà nhaø ngöôi; ta seõ truyeàn lònh veà vieäc ngöôi.
14:9 And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father's house: and the king and his throne be guiltless.
14:9 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø Theâ-coâ -a thöa cuøng vua raèng: Laïy vua chuùa toâi, nguyeän loãi ñoå laïi treân toâi vaø treân nhaø cha toâi, nguyeän vua vaø ngoâi vua khoâng can döï ñeán!
14:10 And the king said, Whoever says ought unto you, bring him to me, and he shall not touch you any more.
14:10 Vua tieáp: Neáu coù ai haêm doïa ngöôi nöõa, haõy daãn noù ñeán ta. Noù ñöôïc chaúng coøn daùm ñuïng ñeán ngöôi ñaâu nöõa.
14:11 Then said she, I pray you, let the king remember the LORD your God, that you would not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of your son fall to the earth.
14:11 Naøng tieáp raèng: Toâi caàu xin vua haõy chæ Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa vua laøm chöùng raèng keû baùo thuø huyeát chôù laøm haïi toâi caøng naëng hôn, vaø gieát con trai toâi. Vua ñaùp: Ta chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng maø theà raèng, moät sôïi toùc seõ chaúng ruïng xuoáng khoûi ñaàu cuûa con trai ngöôi!
14:12 Then the woman said, Let yours handmaid, I pray you, speak one word unto my lord the king. And he said, Say on.
14:12 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø laïi tieáp: Xin cho pheùp con ñoøi vua coøn taâu moät lôøi cuøng vua chuùa toâi nöõa. Vua ñaùp: Haõy noùi.
14:13 And the woman said, Wherefore then have you thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king does speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king does not fetch home again his banished.
14:13 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø noùi: Vaäy thì sao ñoái cuøng daân söï cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vua chaúng ñoaùn xeùt ñoàng moät theå? Vua phaùn lôøi ñoù gioáng nhö keû coù toäi, vì vua khoâng ñoøi veà ñöùa con trai maø vua ñaõ ñaøy ñi.
14:14 For we must essentially die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet does he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
14:14 Vì roát laïi, chuùng ta laø keû hay cheát, gioáng nhö nöôùc chaûy treân ñaát, khoâng hoát laïi ñöôïc. Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khoâng caát maïng soáng ñi, Ngaøi bieát tìm caùch theá ñaëng khoâng ñaåy keû bò ñaày caùch xa Ngaøi.
14:15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and your handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.
14:15 Baáy giôø, neáu toâi ñeán taâu cuøng vua chuùa toâi, aáy vì daân söï laøm cho toâi run sôï. Con ñoøi vua coù nghó raèng: Mình phaûi taâu cuøng vua, coù leõ vua seõ laøm ñieàu con ñoøi vua caàu xin.
14:16 For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
14:16 Phaûi, vua seõ nghe con ñoøi vua maø giaûi cöùu noù khoûi tay keû muoán dieät chuùng toâi, vaø toâi vaø con trai toâi, khoûi saûn nghieäp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.
14:17 Then yours handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD your God will be with you.
14:17 Vaäy, con ñoøi vua ñaõ nghó raèng: Chôù chi lôøi cuûa vua chuùa toâi ban cho chuùng toâi söï an nghæ; vì vua chuùa toâi khaùc naøo moät thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, hieåu söï laønh vaø söï döõ. Nguyeän Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa vua ôû cuøng vua!
14:18 Then the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray you, the thing that I shall ask you. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.
14:18 Vua noùi tieáp cuøng ngöôøi ñôøn baø raèng: Chôù daáu ta chi heát veà ñieàu ta seõ hoûi ngöôi. Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa raèng: Xin vua chuùa toâi haõy hoûi.
14:19 And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with you in all this? And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king has spoken: for your servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of yours handmaid:
14:19 Vua hoûi: Coù phaûi Gioâ-aùp ñaõ ñaët tay vaøo moïi ñieàu ñoù chaêng? Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa raèng: Vua chuùa toâi oâi, toâi chæ maïng soáng cuûa vua maø theà, ngöôøi ta khoâng theá xít qua beân höõu hoaëc beân taû, ñaëng khoûi ñieàu vua chuùa toâi môùi noùi ñoù. Phaûi, aáy laø Gioâ-aùp, toâi tôù cuûa vua, ñaõ truyeàn lònh cho toâi, vaø ñeå caùc lôøi naày trong mieäng con ñoøi vua.
14:20 To fetch about this form of speech has your servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
14:20 Gioâ-aùp, toâi tôù cuûa vua, ñaõ laøm nhö vaäy, ñeå laøm cho vieäc naày thaønh ra caùch môùi. Nhöng chuùa toâi laø khoân ngoan nhö thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, hieåu roõ moïi vieäc ñaõ xaûy ra treân ñaát.
14:21 And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
14:21 Vua beøn noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Vaäy vì ngöôi ñaõ laøm vieäc naày, haõy ñi ñoøi gaõ trai treû Aùp-sa-loâm trôû veà.
14:22 And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Joab said, To day your servant knows that I have found grace in your sight, my lord, O king, in that the king has fulfilled the request of his servant.
14:22 Gioâ-aùp saáp mình xuoáng ñaát laïy, vaø chuùc phöôùc cho vua, maø raèng: Vua chuùa toâi oâi, ngaøy nay toâi tôù vua bieát raèng noù ñaõ ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua; vì vua ñaõ laøm ñieàu toâi tôù vua ñaõ caàu xin Ngaøi.
14:23 So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
14:23 Gioâ-aùp beøn choåi daäy, ñi ñeán Gheâ-su-rô, ñem Aùp-sa-loâm veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.
14:24 And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the king's face.
14:24 Vua beøn noùi raèng: Noù phaûi ôû trong nhaø noù, chôù ra maët tröôùc maët ta. Aáy vaäy, Aùp-sa-loâm ruùt ôû trong nhaø mình, khoâng ra maét vua.
14:25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
14:25 Vaû, trong caû Y-sô-ra-eân chaúng coù moät ngöôøi naøo ñöôïc khen chuoäng veà nhan saéc mình nhö Aùp-sa-loâm; nôi mình ngöôøi, töø baøn chôn cho ñeán choùt ñaàu, chaúng coù tì vít gì heát.
14:26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight.
14:26 Moãi naêm ngöôøi hôùt toùc mình, vì naëng laøm cho ngöôøi baát tieän, thì toùc ngöôøi caân ñöôïc hai traêm sieác-lô, theo caân cuûa vua.
14:27 And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.
14:27 Aùp-sa-loâm sanh ba con trai vaø moät con gaùi, teân laø Ta-ma; naøng laø ngöôøi nöõ raát lòch söï.
14:28 So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.
14:28 Aùp-sa-loâm ôû taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem troïn hai naêm, khoâng ra maét vua.
14:29 Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.
14:29 Keá ñoù, Aùp-sa-loâm ñoøi Gioâ-aùp ñaëng sai ngöôøi ñi ñeán cuøng vua; nhöng Gioâ-aùp khoâng chòu ñeán gaàn ngöôøi. Aùp-sa-loân ñoøi ngöôøi laïi moät laàn thöù nhì, song Gioâ-aùp laïi töø choái, khoâng muoán ñeán.
14:30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
14:30 Aùp-sa-loân beøn noùi cuøng caùc toâi tôù mình raèng: Haõy xem ruoäng cuûa Gioâ-aùp, laø ruoäng luùa maïch kia, ôû gaàn beân ruoäng ta; haõy ñi chaâm löûa vaøo ruoäng aáy. Caùc toâi tôù cuûa Aùp-sa-loâm beøn chaâm löûa vaøo ruoäng ñoù.
14:31 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him, Wherefore have your servants set my field on fire?
14:31 Baáy giôø, Gioâ-aùp ñöùng daäy, ñeán cuøng Aùp-sa-loân trong nhaø ngöôøi maø noùi raèng: Côù sao caùc toâi tôù ngöôi coù chaâm löûa vaøo ruoäng ta?
14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
14:32 Aùp-sa-loân noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñeán ñaây, ta seõ sai ngöôi ñeán cuøng vua, ñaëng noùi raèng: Toâi ñaõ ôû Gheâ-su-rô trôû veà laøm chi? Thaø toâi coøn ôû ñoù thì hôn. Vaäy baây giôø, toâi muoán ra maét vua; ví baèng toâi coù toäi aùc gì, xin vua haõy gieát toâi ñi.
14:33 So Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.
14:33 Vaäy, Gioâ-aùp ñi ñeán vua, thuaät laïi caùc lôøi aáy. Vua beøn ñoøi Aùp-sa-loâm ñeán; ngöôøi vaøo ñeàn vua, saáp mình xuoáng tröôùc maët vau, vaø vua hoân Aùp-sa-loâm.
