Gie re mi - Jeremiah

1:1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

1:1 Lôøi cuûa Gieâ-reâ-mi, con trai Hinh-kia, moät trong caùc thaày teá leã ôû A-na-toát, xöù Beân-gia-min.

1:2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

1:2 Coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng ngöôøi trong ñôøi Gioâ-si -a, con trai A-moân, vua Giu-ña, naêm thöù möôøi ba ñôøi vua aáy;

1:3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

1:3 laïi coù phaùn cuøng ngöôøi trong ñôøi Gieâ-hoâ-gia-kim, con trai Gioâ-si -a, vua Giu-ña, cho ñeán cuoái naêm thöù möôøi moät ñôøi vua Seâ-ñeâ-kia, con trai Gioâ-si -a, vua Giu-ña, töùc laø naêm maø Gieâ-ru-sa-lem bò baét laøm phu tuø trong thaùng thöù naêm.

1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1:4 Coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi nhö vaày: Tröôùc khi taïo neân ngöôi trong loøng meï, ta ñaõ bieát ngöôi roài;

1:5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.

1:5 tröôùc khi ngöôi sanh ra, ta ñaõ bieät rieâng ngöôi, laäp ngöôi laøm keû tieân tri cho caùc nöôùc.

1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

1:6 Toâi thöa raèng: Oâi! haõy Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va, naày toâi chaúng bieát noùi chi, vì toâi laø con treû.

1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for you shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatsoever I command you you shall speak.

1:7 Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi phaùn: Chôù noùi: Toâi laø con treû; vì ngöôi seõ ñi khaép nôi naøo ta sai ngöôi ñi, vaø seõ noùi moïi ñieàu ta truyeàn cho noùi.

1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.

1:8 Ñöøng sôï vì côù chuùng noù; vì ta ôû vôùi ngöôi ñaëng giaûi cöùu ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

1:9 Ñoaïn, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va giang tay rôø mieäng toâi. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Naày, ta ñaõ ñaët nhöõng lôøi ta trong mieäng ngöôi.

1:10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

1:10 Haõy xem, ngaøy nay ta ñaõ laäp ngöôi treân caùc daân caùc nöôùc, ñaëng ngöôi hoaëc nhoå, hoaëc phaù, hoaëc dieät, hoaëc ñoå, hoaëc döïng, hoaëc troàng.

1:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what see you? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

1:11 Laïi coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Hôõi Gieâ-reâ-mi, ngöôi thaáy gì? Toâi thöa raèng: Toâi thaáy moät gaäy baèng caây haïnh.

1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, You have well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

1:12 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn: Ngöôi thaáy phaûi ñoù; ta seõ tænh thöùc, giöõ lôøi phaùn ta ñaëng laøm troïn.

1:13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What see you? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.

1:13 Laïi coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi laàn thöù hai maø raèng: Ngöôi thaáy gì? Toâi thöa: Toâi thaáy moät noài nöôùc soâi töø phöông baéc baén ra.

1:14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

1:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Aáy laø hoaïn naïn töø phöông baéc seõ giaùng cho heát thaûy daân cö ñaát naày.

1:15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

1:15 Vaäy, ta seõ goïi moïi hoï haøng cuûa caùc nöôùc phöông baéc, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy, Chuùng noù seõ ñöôïc, vaø ai naáy ñaët ngoâi mình nôi cöûa thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vaây ñaùnh caùc vaùch thaønh aáy, vaø caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña.

1:16 And I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

1:16 Ta seõ rao söï xeùt ñoaùn ta nghòch cuøng chuùng noù, vì ñieàu aùc chuùng noù ñaõ laøm; bôûi chöng chuùng noù ñaõ lìa boû ta, ñoát höông cho caùc thaàn khaùc, vaø thôø laïy vieäc tay mình laøm ra.

1:17 You therefore gird up your loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command you: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound you before them.

1:17 Vaäy, ngöôi haõy thaét löng, chôø daäy, baûo cho chuùng noù moïi söï maø ta truyeàn cho ngöôi. Ñöøng sôï seät vì côù chuùng noù, keûo ta laøm cho ngöôi sôï seät tröôùc maët chuùng noù chaêng.

1:18 For, behold, I have made you this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

1:18 Naày, ngaøy nay, ta laäp ngöôi leân laøm thaønh vöõng beàn, laøm coät baèng saét, laøm töôøng baèng ñoàng, nghòch cuøng caû ñaát naày, nghòch cuøng caùc vua Giu-ña, caùc quan tröôûng noù, caùc thaày teá leã, vaø daân trong ñaát.

1:19 And they shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.

1:19 Hoï seõ ñaùnh nhau vôùi ngöôi, nhöõng khoâng thaéng ngöôi; vì ta ôû cuøng ngöôi ñaëng giaûi cöùu ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

2:1 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2:1 Coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng:

2:2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of yours espousals, when you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

2:2 Haõy ñi, keâu vaøo taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta coøn nhôù veà ngöôi loøng nhôn töø cuûa ngöôi luùc ñang thô, tình yeâu meán trong khi ngöôi môùi keát baïn, laø khi ngöôi theo ta nôi ñoàng vaéng, trong ñaát khoâng gieo troàng.

2:3 Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the first-fruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, says the LORD.

2:3 Y-sô-ra-eân voán laø daân bieät rieâng ra thaùnh cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; voán laø traùi ñaàu muøa cuûa hoa lôïi Ngaøi. Phaøm nhöõng keû nuoát daân aáy seõ coù toäi; tai vaï seõ laâm treân hoï, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaûi vaäy.

2:4 Hear all of you the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

2:4 Hôõi nhaø Gia-coáp, cuøng caùc hoï haøng nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, haõy nghe lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va!

2:5 Thus says the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

2:5 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Toå phuï caùc ngöôi coù thaáy ñieàu khoâng coâng bình gì trong ta, maø ñaõ xa ta, böôùc theo söï hö khoâng, vaø trôû neân ngöôi voâ ích?

2:6 Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

2:6 Hoï khoâng noùi: Chôù naøo Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû ñaâu? Aáy laø Ñaáng ñaõ ñem chuùng ta khieán khoûi ñaát EÂ-díp-toâ, ñaõ daét chuùng ta qua ñoàng vaéng, trong ñaát sa maïc ñaày haàm hoá, trong ñaát khoâ khan vaø coù boùng söï cheát, laø ñaát chaúng moät ngöôøi naøo ñi qua, vaø khoâng ai ôû.

2:7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when all of you entered, all of you defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

2:7 Ta ñaõ ñem caùc ngöôi vaøo trong moät ñaát coù nhieàu hoa quaû, ñeå aên traùi vaø höôûng lôïi noù. Nhöng, vöøa vaøo ñoù, caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm oâ ueá ñaát ta, ñaõ laøm cho saûn nghieäp ta thaønh ra gôùm ghieác.

2:8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

2:8 Caùc thaày teá leã khoâng coøn noùi: Naøo Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû ñaâu? Nhöõng ngöôøi giaûng luaät phaùp chaúng bieát ta nöõa. Nhöõng keû chaên giöõ ñaõ boäi nghòch cuøng ta. Caùc tieân tri ñaõ nhôn danh Ba-anh maø noùi tieân tri, ñi theo nhöõng söï khoâng ích gì caû.

2:9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, says the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.

2:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Vì côù ñoù ta seõ coøn tranh caïnh cuøng caùc ngöôi, cho ñeán con chaùu cuûa con chaùu caùc ngöôi nöõa.

2:10 For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.

2:10 Haõy qua caùc cuø lao Kít-tim maø xem! Haõy khieán ngöôøi ñeán Keâ-ña, vaø xeùt kó; xem thöû coù vieäc nhö vaäy chaêng.

2:11 Has a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.

2:11 Coù nöôùc naøo thay ñoåi thaàn cuûa mình, maëc daàu aáy chaúng phaûi laø thaàn khoâng? Nhöng daân ta ñaõ ñoåi vinh hieån mình laáy vaät voâ ích!

2:12 Be astonished, O all of you heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be all of you very desolate, says the LORD.

2:12 Hôõi caùc töøng trôøi, haõy laáy laøm laï veà söï ñoù; haõy kinh haõi gôùm gheâ, haõy raát tieâu ñieàu, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn.

2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

2:13 Daân ta ñaõ laøm hai ñieàu aùc: chuùng noù ñaõ lìa boû ta, laø nguoàn nöôùc soáng, maø töï ñaøo laáy hoà, thaät, hoà nöùt ra, khoâng chöùa nöôùc ñöôïc.

2:14 Is Israel a servant? is he a native slave? why is he spoiled?

2:14 Y-sô-ra-eân laø ñaày tôù, hay laø toâi moïi sanh trong nhaø? Vaäy sao noù ñaõ bò phoù cho söï cöôùp?

2:15 The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.

2:15 Caùc sö töû con gaàm theùt, roáng leân inh oûi nghòch cuøng noù, laøm cho ñaát noù thaønh ra hoang vu. Caùc thaønh noù bò ñoát chaùy, khoâng coù ngöôøi ôû nöõa.

2:16 Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of your head.

2:16 Con chaùu cuûa Noáp vaø Taùc-pha-neát cuõng ñaõ laøm giaäp soï ngöôi.

2:17 Have you not procured this unto yourself, in that you have forsaken the LORD your God, when he led you by the way?

2:17 Moïi ñieàu ñoù haù chaúng phaûi xaûy ra cho ngöôi vì ñaõ lìa boû Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình, khi Ngaøi daét ngöôi treân ñöôøng sao?

2:18 And now what have you to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what have you to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

2:18 Hieän baây giôø, ngöôøi coù vieäc gì maø ñi ñöôøng qua Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaëng uoáng nöôùc Si-ho? Coù vieäc gì maø ñi trong ñöôøng A-si-ri ñaëng uoáng nöôùc Soâng caùi?

2:19 Yours own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that my fear is not in you, says the Lord GOD of hosts.

2:19 Toäi aùc ngöôi söï söûa phaït ngöôi, söï boäi nghòch ngöôi seõ traùch ngöôi, neân ngöôi khaù bieát vaø thaáy raèng lìa boû Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôi, vaø chaúng coù loøng kính sôï ta, aáy laø moät söï xaáu xa cay ñaéng, Chuùa, laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.

2:20 For of old time I have broken your yoke, and burst your bands; and you said, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree you wander, playing the harlot.

2:20 Xöa kia ta ñaõ beû aùch ngöôi, böùt xieàng ngöôi, maø ngöôi noùi raèng: Toâi khoâng vaâng phuïc nöõa; vì treân moãi ñoài cao, döôùi moãi caây xanh, ngöôi ñaõ cuùi mình maø haønh daâm.

2:21 Yet I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are you turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?

2:21 Ta ñaõ troàng ngöôi nhö caây nho toát, gioáng ñeàu raëc caû; maø côù sao ngöôi ñaõ ñoác ra nhaùnh xaáu cuûa goác nho laï cho ta?

2:22 For though you wash you with alkali, and take you much soap, yet yours iniquity is marked before me, says the Lord GOD.

2:22 Daàu ngöôi laáy hoûa tieâu vaø duøng nhieàu dieâm cöôøng röûa mình, toäi loãi ngöôi cuõng coøn ghi maõi tröôùc maët ta, Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

2:23 How can you say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see your way in the valley, know what you have done: you are a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

2:23 Sao ngöôi daùm noùi raèng: Ta khoâng bò oâ ueá; ta chaúng töøng ñi theo thaàn töôïng Ba-anh? Haõy xem ñöôøng ngöôi trong nôi truõng; nhaän bieát ñieàu ngöôi ñaõ laøm, nhö laïc ñaø moät gu lanh leï vaø buoâng tuoàng,

2:24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffs up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

2:24 nhö löøa caùi röøng, quen nôi ñoàng vaéng, ñoäng tình duïc maø huùt gioù. Trong côn noùng naûy, ai hay xaây trôû noù ñöôïc ö? Nhöõng keû tìm noù khoâng caàn meät nhoïc, ñeán trong thaùng noù thì seõ tìm ñöôïc.

2:25 Withhold your foot from being unshod, and your throat from thirst: but you said, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

2:25 Haõy giöõ cho chôn ngöôi chôù ñeå traàn, coå ngöôi chôù khaùt! Nhöng ngöôi noùi raèng: Aáy laø voâ ích; khoâng, vì ta thích keû laï vaø seõ theo chuùng noù.

2:26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.

2:26 Nhö keû troäm bò baét, xaáu hoå theå naøo, thì nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, naøo vua, naøo quan tröôûng, naøo thaày teá leã, naøo keû tieân tri, cuõng seõ xaáu hoå theå aáy.

2:27 Saying to a stock, You are my father; and to a stone, You have brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

2:27 Chuùng noùi vôùi goã raèng: Ngaøi laø cha toâi; vôùi ñaù raèng: Ngaøi ñaõ sanh ra toâi. Vì chuùng ñaõ xaây löng laïi cuøng ta, maø khoâng xaây maët laïi vôùi ta. Ñoaïn, ñeán ngaøy hoaïn naïn, chuùng seõ noùi raèng: Haõy choãi daäy, cöùu laáy chuùng toâi!

2:28 But where are your gods that you have made you? let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble: for according to the number of your cities are your gods, O Judah.

2:28 Vaäy chôù naøo caùc thaàn maø caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm ra cho mình ôû ñaâu? Neáu caùc thaàn aáy coù theå cöùu caùc ngöôi trong kyø hoaïn naïn, thì haõy choãi daäy maø cöùu! Hôõi Giu-ña, vì soá caùc thaàn ngöôi cuõng baèng caùc thaønh ngöôi!

2:29 Wherefore will all of you plead with me? all of you all have transgressed against me, says the LORD.

2:29 Sao ngöôi bieän luaän cuøng ta? Caùc ngöôi thaûy ñeàu ñaõ phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

2:30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

2:30 Ta ñaõ ñaùnh con caùi caùc ngöôi laø voâ ích: chuùng noù chaúng chòu söï daïy doã. Göôm caùc ngöôi ñaõ nuoát caùc keû tieân tri mình, nhö sö töû phaù haïi.

2:31 O generation, see all of you the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto you?

2:31 Hôõi doøng doõi naày! Haõy roõ lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta haù laø moät ñoàng vaéng hay laø moät ñaát toái taêm môø mòt cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân sao? Laøm sao daân ta coù noùi raèng: chuùng toâi ñaõ buoâng tuoàng, khoâng ñeán cuøng Ngaøi nöõa?

2:32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

2:32 Con gaùi ñoàng trinh haù queân ñoà trang söùc mình, naøy daâu môùi haù queân aùo ñeïp cuûa mình sao? Nhöng daân ta ñaõ queân ta töø nhöõng ngaøy khoâng tính ra ñöôïc.

2:33 Why trim you your way to seek love? therefore have you also taught the wicked ones your ways.

2:33 Sao ngöôi cöù doïn ñöôøng mình ñeå tìm tình aùi! ñeán noãi ñaõ daïy cho nhöõng ñôøn baø xaáu neát theo loái mình.

2:34 Also in your skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocent persons: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.

2:34 Nôi vaït aùo ngöôi cuõng ñaõ thaáy maùu cuûa keû ngheøo naøn voâ toäi, chaúng phaûi vì côù noù ñaøo ngaïch, beøn laø vì côù moïi ñieàu ñoù.

2:35 Yet you says, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with you, because you says, I have not sinned.

2:35 Ngöôi laïi coøn noùi raèng: Toâi voâ toäi, thaät côn giaän cuûa Ngaøi lìa khoûi toâi! Naày, vì ngöôi noùi raèng: Toâi khoâng coù toäi, öø, ta seõ ñoaùn xeùt ngöôi.

2:36 Why arm you about so much to change your way? you also shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

2:36 Sao ngöôi chaïy mau ñeå ñoåi ñöôøng ngöôi? Xöa kia ngöôi xaáu hoå veà A-si-ri, nay cuõng seõ xaáu hoå veà EÂ-díp-toâ.

2:37 Yea, you shall go forth from him, and yours hands upon yours head: for the LORD has rejected your confidences, and you shall not prosper in them.

2:37 Ngöôi seõ chaáp tay leân treân ñaàu, maø ñi ra töø nôi ñoù. Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va duoàng boû nhöõng keû maø ngöôi troâng caäy, ngöôi seõ chaúng ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng gì bôûi chuùng noù.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

3:1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but you have played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, says the LORD.

3:2 Lift up yours eyes unto the high places, and see where you have not been lien with. In the ways have you sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your whoredoms and with your wickedness.

3:2 Haõy ngöôùc maét xem caùc goø hoang; coù nôi naøo maø ngöôi chaúng haønh daâm? Ngöôøi ñaõ ngoài beân ñöôøng ñeå chôø ñôïi ngöôøi yeâu, nhö ngöôøi A raïp trong ñoàng vaéng; vaø ngöôi ñaõ ñem söï ñaâm loaïn baäy baï maø laøm dô nhôùp ñaát naày.

3:3 Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you had a whore's forehead, you refused to be ashamed.

3:3 Vaäy neân möa ñaõ bò ngaên caám, khoâng ñöôïc möa cuoái muøa. Daàu theá, ngöôi cuõng veânh traùn leân nhö ñôøn baø daâm ñaõng; chaúng bieát xaáu hoå.

3:4 Will you not from this time cry unto me, My father, you are the guide of my youth?

3:4 Töø nay veà sau ngöôi haù chaúng keâu ñeán ta raèng: Hôõi Cha toâi, Ngaøi laø Ñaáng daãn daét toâi trong khi toâi treû, hay sao?

3:5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken and done evil things as you could.

3:5 Ngaøi haù seõ caàm giaän maõi maõi, vaø nuoâi côn thaïnh noä ñeán cuoái cuøng sao?... Naày, ngöôi daàu noùi nhö vaäy, maø cuõng cöù phaïm toäi, theo loøng mình muoán.

3:6 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot.

3:6 Ñöông ñôøi vua Gioâ-si -a, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Ngöôi coù thaáy ñieàu maø Y-sô-ra-eân, laø daân boäi nghòch, ñaõ laøm chaêng? Noù ñaõ leân moãi nuùi cao, ñeán döôùi moãi caây xanh, maø haønh daâm taïi ñoù.

3:7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn you unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

3:7 Ta töøng noùi raèng: Sau khi noù ñaõ laøm heát moïi söï aáy, seõ trôû veà cuøng ta. Nhöng noù khoâng trôû veà. Em gaùi quæ quyeät noù laø Giu-ña ñaõ thaáy.

3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

3:8 Daàu ta ñaõ boû Y-sô-ra-eân boäi nghòch vaø ñaõ cho noù tôø ñeå, vì côù noù ngoaïi tình, ta cuõng coøn thaáy em gaùi quæ quyeät noù, laø Giu-ña, chaúng sôï seät chi; nhöng noù cuõng cöù ñi haønh daâm.

3:9 And it came to pass through the levity of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

3:9 Vì noù khinh söï daâm loaïn mình, thì laøm oâ ueá ñaát naày, haønh daâm vôùi ñaù vaø goã.

3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, says the LORD.

3:10 Daàu vaäy, em gaùi quæ quyeät noù, laø Giu-ña, cuõng chaúng trôû veà cuøng ta caùch heát loøng, chaúng qua laø giaû doái, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

3:11 And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel has justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

3:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va cuõng coù phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Y-sô-ra-eân boäi nghòch so vôùi Giu-ña quæ quyeät, coøn toû ra coâng bình hôn.

3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, you backsliding Israel, says the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, says the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.

3:12 Haõy ñi, xaây veà phía baéc, rao leân nhöõng lôøi naày: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi Y-sô-ra-eân boäi nghòch; haõy trôû veà! Ta seõ khoâng laáy neùt maët giaän nhìn ngöôi ñaâu, vì ta hay thöông xoùt; ta chaúng ngaäm giaän ñôøi ñôøi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

3:13 Only acknowledge yours iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and all of you have not obeyed my voice, says the LORD.

3:13 Chæn ngöôi phaûi nhaän loãi mình: ngöôi ñaõ phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôi; ngöôi ñaõ chaïy khaép moïi ngaû nôi caùc thaàn khaùc ôû döôùi moãi caây xanh, maø khoâng vaâng theo tieáng ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

3:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi con caùi boäi nghòch, haõy trôû veà; vì ta laø choàng ngöôi. Trong voøng caùc ngöôi, ta seõ löïa moãi thaønh moät ngöôøi, moãi hoï hai ngöôøi, maø ñem ñeán Si-oân.

3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

3:15 Ta seõ ban caùc keû chaên giöõ vöøa loøng ta cho caùc ngöôi, caùc keû aáy seõ laáy söï saùng suoát khoân ngoan maø chaên nuoâi caùc ngöôi.

3:16 And it shall come to pass, when all of you be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, says the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

3:16 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Trong nhöõng ngaøy ñoù, khi caùc ngöôi sanh saûn theâm nhieàu ra trong ñaát, thì ngöôøi ta seõ khoâng noùi ñeán hoøm giao öôùc cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nöõa! Ngöôøi ta seõ khoâng coøn töôûng ñeán, khoâng coøn nhôù ñeán, khoâng coøn tieác ñeán, vaø khoâng laøm moät caùi khaùc.

3:17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

3:17 Trong thôøi ñoù ngöôøi ta seõ goïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem laø ngoâi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø heát thaûy caùc nöôùc ñeàu nhoùm veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, veà danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; maø khoâng böôùc theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng aùc mình nöõa.

3:18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

3:18 Trong nhöõng ngaøy ñoù nhaø Giu-ña seõ ñoàng ñi vôùi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, hai ñaøng cuøng nhau töø ñaát phöông baéc trôû veà trong ñaát maø ta ñaõ ban cho toå phuï caùc ngöôi laøm saûn nghieäp.

3:19 But I said, How shall I put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, You shall call me, My father; and shall not turn away from me.

3:19 Ta töøng phaùn raèng: Ta seõ ñaët ngöôi giöõa voøng caùc con caùi, ta seõ cho ngöôi moät ñaát toát, cô nghieäp quí giaù cuûa cô binh caùc nöôùc laø döôøng naøo! Ta töøng phaùn: Ngöôi seõ goïi ta baèng Cha toâi! vaø chôù xaây laïi maø khoâng theo ta.

3:20 Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, so have all of you dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, says the LORD.

3:20 Nhöng hôõi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, thaät nhö moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø lìa choàng mình caùch quæ quyeät theå naøo, thì caùc ngöôi cuõng quæ quyeät vôùi ta theå aáy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

3:21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.

3:21 Coù tieáng nghe ra treân caùc goø troïi: aáy laø tieáng con chaùu Y-sô-ra-eân khoùc loùc caàu khaán, vì chuùng noù ñaõ ñi trong ñöôøng quanh queo; ñaõ queân Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình.

3:22 Return, all of you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto you; for you are the LORD our God.

3:22 Hôõi con caùi boäi nghòch, haõy trôû laïi! Ta seõ chöõa söï boäi nghòch cho. Caùc ngöôi noùi raèng: Naày, chuùng toâi veà cuøng Ngaøi, vì Ngaøi laø Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi.

3:23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

3:23 Thaät ñôïi söï cöùu nôi caùc goø laø voâ ích, tieáng oàn aøo treân caùc nuùi laø hö khoâng; thaät, söï cöùu roãi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân laø ôû trong Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi.

3:24 For shame has devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

3:24 Töø luùc chuùng toâi coøn treû nhoû, vaät xaáu hoå ñaõ nuoát heát coâng vieäc cuûa toå phuï chuùng toâi, baày chieân, baày boø, con trai, con gaùi chuùng noù.

3:25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

3:25 Chuùng toâi phaûi naèm trong söï xaáu hoå mình! Vì chuùng toâi cuøng toå phuï chuùng toâi ñaõ phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi; töø khi coøn treû cho ñeán ngaøy nay; chuùng toâi khoâng vaâng theo tieáng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi.

4:1 If you will return, O Israel, says the LORD, return unto me: and if you will put away yours abominations out of my sight, then shall you not remove.

4:1 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi Y-sô-ra-eân, neáu ngöôi trôû veà cuøng ta, neáu trôû veà cuøng ta, vaø neáu ngöôi boû nhöõng vieäc gôùm ghieác khoûi tröôùc maét ta, thì ngöôi seõ chaúng bò dôøi ñi nöõa.

4:2 And you shall swear, The LORD lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

4:2 Ngöôi seõ laáy söï thaät thaø, ngay thaúng, coâng bình, maø theà raèng: Thaät nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, caùc nöôùc seõ ñöôïc phöôùc bôûi Ngaøi vaø vinh hieån trong Ngaøi.

4:3 For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

4:3 Vaû, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø cuøng Gieâ-ru-sa-lem nhö vaày: Haõy caøy môû ruoäng môùi caùc ngöôi, chôù gieo trong gai goác.

4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, all of you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

4:4 Hôõi caùc ngöôi, laø ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, haõy töï caét bì mình cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø caát döông bì khoûi loøng ngöôi! Baèng chaúng vaäy, côn giaän ta seõ phöøng leân nhö löûa, ñoát chaùy caùc ngöôi, khoâng ai giaäp taét ñöôïc, vì vieäc aùc caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm.

4:5 Declare all of you in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow all of you the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

4:6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

4:6 Khaù döïng côø höôùng veà Si-oân! Haõy troán ñi, ñöøng döøng laïi! Vì ta khieán töø phöông baéc ñeán moät tai naïn, töùc laø moät söï hö haïi lôùn.

4:7 The lion has come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make your land desolate; and your cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

4:7 Sö töû ra töø röøng noù, keû huûy dieät caùc nöôùc baét ñaàu ra ñi khoûi choã mình, ñaëng laøm cho ñaát ngöôi ra hoang vu; caùc thaønh ngöôi trôû neân goø ñoáng, vaø khoâng coù ngöôøi ôû.

4:8 For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and wail: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

4:8 Vaäy neân, caùc ngöôi haõy thaét bao gai, khoùc vaø than thôû, vì côn giaän phöøng phöøng cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chöa lìa khoûi chuùng ta ñaâu.

4:9 And it shall come to pass at that day, says the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

4:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn trong nhöõng ngaøy ñoù, vua vaø caùc quan tröôûng söûng soát trong loøng; caùc thaày teá leã bôõ ngôõ, caùc keû tieân tri laáy laøm laï.

4:10 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely you have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, All of you shall have peace; whereas the sword reachs unto the soul.

4:10 Baáy giôø toâi noùi: Oâi! hôõi Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va! Thaät Ngaøi ñaõ phænh daân naày vaø Gieâ-ru-sa-lem laém, maø noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ ñöôïc bình an! Nhöõng löôõi göôm ñaõ thaáu ñeán söï soáng.

4:11 At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

4:11 Trong thôøi ñoù, seõ noùi cuøng daân naày vaø Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: Gioù noùng ñeán töø caùc goø troïi nôi ñoàng vaéng, thoåi treân con gaùi daân ta, nhöng chaúng duøng ñeå deâ luùa ñöôïc, vaø cuõng chaúng laøm cho saïch ñöôïc.

4:12 Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

4:12 Laïi coù gioù lôùn hôn nöõa vì ta maø ñeán. Nay ta seõ rao söï ñoaùn xeùt nghòch cuøng chuùng noù.

4:13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

4:13 Naày, noù seõ leân nhö moät ñaùm maây, xe coä noù döôøng côn gioù loác, ngöïa noù leï nhö chim öng. Khoán cho chuùng ta, vì bò huûy dieät!

4:14 O Jerusalem, wash yours heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

4:15 For a voice declares from Dan, and publishes affliction from mount Ephraim.

4:15 Vì coù tieáng ñeán töø ñaát Ñan, töø goø Eùp-ra-im rao truyeàn tai vaï.

4:16 Make all of you mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

4:16 Haõy baùo cho caùc nöôùc! Haõy rao cho Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: Keû vaây haõm töø phöông xa maø ñeán, vaø keâu la nghòch cuøng caùc thaønh Giu-ña.

4:17 As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she has been rebellious against me, says the LORD.

4:17 Chuùng noù vaây Gieâ-ru-sa-lem nhö keû giöõ ruoäng; vì thaønh aáy ñaõ noåi loaïn nghòch cuøng ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

4:18 Your way and your doings have procured these things unto you; this is your wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reachs unto yours heart.

4:18 Ñoù laø nhöõng söï maø ñöôøng loái vaø vieäc laøm cuûa ngöôi ñaõ chuoác laáy cho ngöôi; ñoù laø söï gian aùc ngöôi! Thaät, söï aáy laø cay ñaéng, thaáu ñeán trong loøng ngöôi.

4:19 My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

4:19 Oâi! toâi ñau loøng, ñau loøng! Côn ñau ñôùn quaën thaét loøng toâi; loøng ñöông boái roái trong toâi. Toâi khoâng theå laøm thinh! Hôõi linh hoàn toâi, vì maày nghe doïng keøn vaø tieáng giaëc giaõ.

4:20 Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

4:20 Huûy dieät cuøng theâm huûy dieät, baùo tin chaúng döùt, caû ñaát bò phaù taùn; nhaø taïm toâi thình lình bò huûy, maøn chaùng toâi boãng choác bò hö!

4:21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

4:21 Toâi seõ thaáy côø vaø nghe tieáng keøn cho ñeán chöøng naøo?

4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are foolish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

4:22 Thaät daân ta laø ngu muoäi, chuùng noù chaúng nhìn bieát ta. Aáy laø nhöõng con caùi khôø daïi, khoâng coù trí khoân, kheùo laøm ñieàu aùc, maø khoâng bieát laøm ñieàu thieän.

4:23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

4:23 Toâi xem ñaát: naày, laø voâ hình vaø troáng khoâng; xem caùc töøng trôøi: thì khoâng coù söï saùng.

4:24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

4:24 Toâi xem caùc nuùi, thaáy ñeàu ruùng ñoäng; moïi goø ñeàu lung-lay.

4:25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

4:25 Toâi xem: chaúng coøn moät ngöôøi, heát thaûy chim trôøi ñeàu troán traùnh.

4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

4:26 Toâi xem thaáy ruoäng toát ñaõ trôû neân ñoàng vaéng, heát thaûy caùc thaønh ñeàu bò huûy phaù tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, bôûi côn noùng giaän cuûa Ngaøi.

4:27 For thus has the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

4:27 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Caû ñaát seõ hoang vu, nhöng ta khoâng dieät heát.

4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

4:28 Bôûi côù ñoù, ñaát seõ saàu thaûm, caùc töøng trôøi seõ toái ñen. Vì ta ñaõ phaùn, ñaõ ñònh, thì chaúng ñoåi yù, chaúng xaây laïi.

4:29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

4:29 Nghe tieáng oàn lính kî vaø lính baén cung, thì heát thaûy caùc thaønh ñeàu chaïy troán; nuùp trong röøng caây, leo leân vaàng ñaù; caùc thaønh ñeàu bò boû, chaúng coù ngöôøi ôû.

4:30 And when you are spoiled, what will you do? Though you cloth yourself with crimson, though you deck you with ornaments of gold, though you rent your face with painting, in vain shall you make yourself fair; your lovers will despise you, they will seek your life.

4:31 For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that brings forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewails herself, that spreads her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

4:31 Vì ta nghe tieáng, nhö tieáng ñôøn baø ñeû, tieáng thaûm thöông nhö tieáng ñôøn baø ñeû con so. Aáy laø tieáng con gaùi Si-oân, thôû vaø giang tay maø raèng: Khoán naïn cho toâi! linh hoàn toâi ñaõ ngaát ñi tröôùc maët keû gieát ngöôøi!

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

5:1 Run all of you back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if all of you can find a man, if there be any that executes judgment, that seeks the truth; and I will pardon it.

5:1 Haõy ñi daïo caùc ñöôøng phoá Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vaø nhìn xem, Haõy doø hoûi tìm kieám nôi caùc chôï, thöû coù thaáy moät ngöôøi chaêng, neáu coù moät ngöôøi laøm söï coâng bình, tìm söï trung tín, thì ta seõ tha thöù cho thaønh aáy.

5:2 And though they say, The LORD lives; surely they swear falsely.

5:2 Daàu chuùng noù noùi raèng: Thaät nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng! aáy cuõng laø theà doái!

5:3 O LORD, are not yours eyes upon the truth? you have stricken them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

5:3 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, haù chaúng phaûi maét Ngaøi ñoaùi xem söï trung tín sao?... Ngaøi ñaùnh chuùng noù, chuùng noù chaúng bieát lo buoàn, Ngaøi dieät ñi, chuùng noù chaúng chòu daïy doã. Chuùng noù töï laøm cöùng maët mình hôn vaàng ñaù, chaúng khöùng trôû laïi.

5:4 Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

5:4 Toâi beøn noùi: Ñoù thaät laø keû ngheøo heøn, ngu muoäi, vì khoâng bieát ñöôøng loái cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình.

5:5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

5:5 Toâi seõ ñeán cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi sang troïng maø noùi vôùi hoï, vì hoï bieát roõ ñöôøng loái cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, söï coâng bình cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình... Song, nhöõng ngöôøi naày hôïp yù cuøng nhau maø boû aùch döùt daây!

5:6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goes out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

5:6 Vaäy neân sö töû trong röøng seõ gieát hoï ñi, muoâng soùi nôi sa maïc dieät hoï ñi, beo ñöông rình ngoaøi thaønh hoï, heã ai ra khoûi ñoù, seõ bò caén xeù! Vì toäi loãi cuûa hoï raát nhieàu, söï boäi nghòch cuûa hoï caøng theâm.

5:7 How shall I pardon you for this? your children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

5:7 Ta tha thöù ngöôi sao ñöôïc? Caùc con trai ngöôi ñaõ lìa boû ta, theà bôûi nhöõng thaàn khoâng phaûi laø thaàn. Ta ñaõ khieán chuùng noù aên no, maø chuùng noù thì phaïm toäi taø daâm, nhoùm nhau caû luõ trong nhaø ñó.

5:8 They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.

5:8 Chuùng noù cuõng nhö con ngöïa maäp chaïy lung, moãi moät ngöôøi theo sau vôï keû laân caän mình maø hí.

5:9 Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

5:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta seõ chaúng thaêm phaït vì nhöõng söï ñoù hay sao? Thaàn ta haù chaúng traû thuø moät nöôùc nhö vaäy hay sao?

5:10 Go all of you up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.

5:10 Haõy leo leân nhöõng vaùch töôøng noù vaø phaù ñoå ñi; nhöng ñöøng dieät heát. Haõy tæa boû nhöõng nhaùnh noù, vì chaúng thuoäc veà Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

5:11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.

5:11 Vì nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân vaø nhaø Giu-ña ñaõ duøng caùch quæ quyeät ñoái vôùi ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

5:12 They have lied concerning the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

5:12 Chuùng noù ñaõ choái boû Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø noùi raèng: Chaúng phaûi laø Ngaøi! Hoaïn naïn seõ chaúng laâm treân chuùng ta; chuùng ta seõ chaúng gaëp göôm dao ñoùi keùm.

5:13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

5:13 Caùc ñaáng tieân tri seõ trôû neân gioù, ñaïo chaúng ôû trong hoï; hoï seõ gaëp phaûi nhö vaäy.

5:14 Wherefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, Because all of you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

5:14 Vaäy neân Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Vì caùc ngöôi ñaõ noùi lôøi ñoù, naày, ta seõ khieán lôøi ta neân nhö löûa trong mieäng ngöôi, daân naày seõ nhö cuûi, vaø löûa aáy seõ nuoát noù.

5:15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, says the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you know not, neither understand what they say.

5:15 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, ta seõ khieán moät daân toäc maïnh, töùc moät daân toäc cuõ, moät daân toäc maø ngöôi chaúng bieát tieáng, chaúng hieåu lôøi, töø phöông xa ñeán nghòch cuøng ngöôi.

5:16 Their quiver is as an open tomb, they are all mighty men.

5:16 Caùi bao teân noù gioáng nhö moà maû môû ra; chuùng noù ñeàu laø maïnh baïo.

5:17 And they shall eat up yours harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and yours herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fenced cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.

5:17 Noù seõ aên muøa maøng vaø baùnh ngöôi, laø vaät maø con trai con gaùi ngöôi phaûi aên; noù seõ aên baày chieân vaø baày boø ngöôi, aên caây nho vaø caây vaû ngöôi. Noù seõ laáy göôm huûy phaù caùc thaønh vöõng beàn cuûa ngöôi, laø nôi maø ngöôi troâng caäy!

5:18 Nevertheless in those days, says the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

5:18 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Daàu vaäy, cuõng trong nhöõng ngaøy ñoù, ta seõ chaúng dieät heát caùc ngöôi ñaâu.

5:19 And it shall come to pass, when all of you shall say, Wherefore does the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shall you answer them, Like all of you have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall all of you serve strangers in a land that is not your's.

5:19 Xaûy ra khi caùc ngöôi noùi raèng: Sao Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi ñaõ laøm moïi söï naày cho chuùng toâi? thì ngöôi khaù baûo chuùng noù raèng: Nhö caùc ngöôi ñaõ lìa boû ta vaø haàu vieäc caùc thaàn ngoaïi trong ñaát mình theå naøo, thì caùc ngöôi cuõng seõ haàu vieäc caùc daân ngoaïi trong moät ñaát chaúng thuoäc veà mình theå aáy.

5:20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

5:20 Haõy rao nhöõng lôøi naày cho nhaø Gia-coáp; haõy truyeàn ra trong Giu-ña, noùi raèng:

5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

5:21 Hôõi daân ngu muoäi vaø khoâng hieåu bieát, laø daân coù maét maø khoâng thaáy, coù tai maø khoâng nghe kia, haõy nghe ñieàu naày.

5:22 Fear all of you not me? says the LORD: will all of you not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

5:22 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Caùc ngöôi chaúng kính sôï ta, chaúng run raåy tröôùc maët ta sao? Ta laø Ñaáng ñaõ laáy caùt laøm bôø coõi bieån, bôûi moät maïng lònh ñôøi ñôøi, khoâng vuôït qua ñöôïc. Soùng bieån daàu ñoäng, cuõng khoâng thaéng ñöôïc; bieån daàu gaàm roáng, cuõng khoâng qua khoûi noù;

5:23 But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

5:23 nhöng daân naày thì laïi coù loøng ngoa ngaïnh vaø baïn nghòch, heát thaûy ñeàu daáy loaïn vaø ñi.

5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

5:24 Chuùng noù chaúng noùi trong loøng raèng: Chuùng ta haõy kính sôï Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình töùc laø Ñaáng tuøy thôøi ban cho möa ñaàu muøa vaø möa cuoái muøa, laïi vì chuùng ta giöõ caùc tuaàn leã nhöùt ñònh veà muøa gaët.

5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.

5:25 Söï gian aùc caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm cho nhöõng söï aáy xa caùc ngöôi; toäi loãi caùc ngöôi ngaên trôû caùc ngöôi ñöôïc phöôùc.

5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

5:26 Vì trong voøng daân ta coù nhöõng keû aùc; chuùng noù hay rình raäp, nhö ngöôøi nhöû chim, gaøi baãy giaêng löôùi, maø baét ngöôøi ta.

5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and becoming rich.

5:27 Nhaø chuùng noù ñaày söï doái traù, cuõng nhö loàng ñaày chim vaäy, vì ñoù chuùng noù trôû neân lôùn vaø giaøu.

5:28 They are becoming fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

5:28 Chuùng noù maäp beùo vaø môûn môø. Söï hung aùc chuùng noù quaù ñoãi; chaúng xeùt leõ cho keû moà coâi, haàu cho ñöôïc thaïnh lôïi! Chuùng noù chaúng laøm söï coâng bình cho keû ngheøo.

5:29 Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

5:29 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta seõ chaúng thaêm phaït veà nhöõng söï aáy sao? Thaàn ta chaúng traû thuø moät nöôùc döôøng aáy sao?

5:30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

5:30 Trong ñaát naày ñaõ xaûy ra söï laï luøng ñaùng gôùm.

5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will all of you do in the end thereof?

5:31 Nhöõng keû tieân tri noùi tieân tri doái, caùc thaày teá leã bôûi ñoù maø caàm quyeàn! Daân ta ñeàu laáy laøm öa thích. Khi ñeán cuoái cuøng, caùc ngöôi seõ laøm theá naøo?

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

6:1 O all of you children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

6:1 Hôõi con caùi Beân-gia-min, haõy troán khoûi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeå ñöôïc yeân oån. Haõy thoåi keøn taïi Theâ-coâ -a, leân voïi treân Beát-Keâ-rem; vì töø phöông baéc xaûy ñeán moät tai naïn, vaø söï taøn haïi raát lôùn.

6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

6:2 Ta seõ huûy dieät gaùi ñeïp ñeõ yeåu ñieäu cuûa Si-oân!

6:3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.

6:3 Nhöõng keû chaên cuøng baày chieân mình seõ ñeán nghòch cuøng noù. Chuùng noù ñoùng traïi chung quanh noù, moãi keû choaùn phaàn ñaát mình cho baày aên.

6:4 Prepare all of you war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goes away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

6:4 Haõy söûa soaïn chieán traän nghòch cuøng noù! Haõy ñöùng leân! haõm ñaùnh vaøo luùc ñöùng tröa! Khoán thay! ngaøy ñaõ xeá, boùng chieàu ñaõ daøi!

6:5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.

6:5 Haõy daäy, saán leân trong luùc ban ñeâm, huûy dieät cung ñieän noù!

6:6 For thus has the LORD of hosts said, Hew all of you down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

6:6 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy ñoán caây vaø ñaép luõy leân nghòch cuøng Gieâ-ru-sa-lem! Kìa laø thaønh phaûi bò thaêm phaït; giöõa noù ñaày nhöõng söï öùc hieáp.

6:7 As a fountain casts out her waters, so she casts out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.

6:8 Be you instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land not inhabited.

6:8 Hôõi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, haõy chòu daïy doã, e raèng loøng ta chaùn boû ngöôi, maø laøm cho ñaát ngöôi hoang vu, khoâng ngöôøi ôû chaêng.

6:9 Thus says the LORD of hosts, They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back yours hand as a grape-gatherer into the baskets.

6:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôøi ta seõ löôïm heát daân soùt cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân nhö haùi nho. Haõy trôû tay maø haùi, nhö ngöôøi haùi nho laøm neân nhaùnh nho vaäy.

6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

6:10 Ta seõ noùi vaø laøm chöùng cho ai, ñaëng hoï nghe ta! Naày, tai hoï chöa caét bì, hoï khoâng nghe ñöôïc. Naày, lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ trôû neân söï quôû traùch cho hoï, hoï chaúng laáy laøm ñeïp loøng chuùt naøo.

6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

6:11 Cho neân ta ñöôïc ñaày côn giaän cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, meät vì nín laëng. Haõy ñoå noù ra treân con nít ngoaøi ñöôøng phoá vaø treân hoäi keû trai treû. Vì choàng vôùi vôï, oâng giaø cuõng keû lôùn tuoåi ñeàu seõ bò baét.

6:12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD.

6:12 Nhaø, ruoäng, vaø vôï cuûa hoï seõ sang qua keû khaùc; vì tay ta seõ giang ra treân daân cö ñaát naày, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

6:13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

6:13 Vì trong voøng hoï, töø keû raát nhoû cho ñeán ngöôøi raát lôùn, ñeàu tham lam; töø keû tieân tri cho ñeán thaày teá leã, ñeàu laøm söï giaû doái.

6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

6:14 Hoï ròt veát thöông cho daân ta caùch sô saøi maø raèng: Bình an! bình an! maø khoâng bình an chi heát.

6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, says the LORD.

6:15 Hoï phaïm toäi gôùm ghieác, haù laáy laøm xaáu hoå ö? Hoï chaúng xaáu hoå chuùt naøo, cuõng chaúng theïn ñoû maët nöõa. Cho neân hoï seõ vaáp ngaõ vôùi nhöõng keû vaáp ngaõ. Khi ta thaêm phaït, chuùng noù seõ bò laät ñoå, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

6:16 Thus says the LORD, Stand all of you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and all of you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

6:16 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy ñöùng treân caùc ñöôøng caùi vaø nhìn xem; tra xeùt nhöõng ñöôøng loái cuõ, xem thöû ñöôøng toát ôû ñaâu: haõy ñi ñöôøng aáy, thì caùc ngöôi seõ ñöôïc söï an nghæ cho linh hoàn mình. Nhöng chuùng noù ñaùp raèng: Chuùng toâi khoâng khöùng ñi ñöôøng aáy.

6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

6:17 Ta ñaõ laäp voïng canh keà caùc ngöôi; haõy chaêm chæ nghe tieáng keøn. Nhöng chuùng noù ñaùp raèng: Chuùng toâi khoâng khöùng nghe.

6:18 Therefore hear, all of you nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

6:18 Vì vaäy, hôõi caùc nöôùc, haõy nghe; hôõi hoäi chuùng, haõy bieát ñieàu xaûy ñeán giöõa chuùng noù!

6:19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

6:19 Hôõi ñaát, haõy nghe: Naày, ta seõ khieán tai vaï ñeán treân daân naày, töùc laø quaû baùo cuûa yù töôûng noù, vì noù chaúng chaêm nghe lôøi ta, vaø ñaõ boû luaät phaùp ta.

6:20 To what purpose comes there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.

6:20 Naøo ta coù caàn gì nhuõ höông ñeán töø Seâ-ba, xöông boà ñeán töø xöù xa maø daâng cho ta? Cuûa leã thieâu cuûa caùc ngöôi chaúng ñeïp loøng ta, ta chaúng laáy teá leã cuûa caùc ngöôi laøm vöøa yù.

6:21 Therefore thus says the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

6:21 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ ñaët söï ngaên trôû tröôùc maët daân naày; cha vaø con seõ cuøng nhau vaáp ngaõ; xoùm rieàng baïn höõu ñeàu cheát maát.

6:22 Thus says the LORD, Behold, a people comes from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

6:22 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, moät daân ñeán töø xöù phöông baéc; moät nöôùc lôùn daáy leân töø nôi ñaàu cuøng ñaát.

6:23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against you, O daughter of Zion.

6:23 Chuùng noù thaûy ñeàu caàm cung vaø giaùo, thaät laø döõ tôïn, chaúng coù loøng thöông xoùt. Tieáng chuùng noù roáng leân nhö bieån, hoï ñeàu côõi ngöïa; ai naáy saép haøng nhö ngöôøi lính chieán maø nghòch cuøng ngöôi, hôõi con gaùi Si-oân!

6:24 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish has taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

6:24 Chuùng ta ñaõ nghe tin aáy, tay ñeàu yeáu ñuoái; buoàn raàu thaûm thieát, côn quaën thaét nhö ñôøn baø ñeû con ñaõ xoâng vaøo chuùng ta.

6:25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.

6:25 Chôù ra nôi ñoàng ruoäng, chôù ñi treân ñöôøng, vì göôm cuûa giaëc ôû ñoù, khaép moïi nôi ñeàu coù söï kinh haõi.

6:26 O daughter of my people, gird you with sackcloth, and wallow yourself in ashes: make you mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.

6:26 Hôõi con gaùi cuûa daân ta, haõy thaét löng baèng bao gai, vaø laêng trong tro buïi. Haõy phaùt tang nhö maát con trai moät, laøm cho nghe tieáng than khoùc ñaéng cay; vì keû taøn phaù seõ xoâng tôùi treân chuùng ta thình lình.

6:27 I have set you for a tower and a fortress among my people, that you may know and try their way.

6:27 Ta ñaõ laäp ngöôi laøm keû thöû vaø ñoàn luõy giöõa daân ta, ñaëng ngöôi nhaän bieát vaø doø xem ñöôøng loái noù.

6:28 They are all grievous apostates, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.

6:28 Chuùng noù thaûy ñeàu baïn nghòch quaù laém, ñi daïo noùi xaáu, cöùng nhö ñoàng nhö saét, laøm nhöõng söï baïi hoaïi.

6:29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melts in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.

6:29 Oáng beã thoåi maïnh, chì ñaõ tieâu bôûi löûa; chuùng noù luyeän ñi luyeän laïi cuõng laø luoáng coâng: vì keû gian aùc vaãn chöa tröø khoûi.

6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD has rejected them.

6:30 Noù seõ bò goïi laø baïc boû, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va töø boû noù.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

7:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

7:1 Töø nôi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù lôøi phaùn cuøng Gieâ-reâ-mi raèng:

7:2 Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all you of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

7:2 Haõy ñöùng nôi cöûa nhaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, taïi ñoù haõy rao lôøi naày: Caùc ngöôi, laø ngöôøi Giu-ña heát thaûy, laø nhöõng keû do caùc cöûa naày vaøo ñaëng thôø laïy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, haõy nghe lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

7:3 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

7:3 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy söûa laïi ñöôøng loái vaø vieäc laøm cuûa caùc ngöôi; thì ta seõ khieán caùc ngöôi ôû trong xöù naày.

7:4 Trust all of you not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.

7:4 Chôù nhôø caäy nhöõng lôøi doái traù raèng: Chính ñaây laø ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

7:5 For if all of you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if all of you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;

7:5 Vì neáu caùc ngöôi söûa laïi kyõ caøng ñöôøng loái vaø vieäc laøm cuûa mình, neáu caùc ngöôi laøm troïn söï coâng bình giöõa ngöôøi vaø keû laân caän noù;

7:6 If all of you oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:

7:6 neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng hieáp ñaùp khaùch laï, keû moà coâi, ngöôøi goùa buïa, vaø khoâng laøm ñoå maùu voâ toäi trong nôi naày; cuõng chaúng ñi theo caùc thaàn khaùc ñeå laøm haïi mình,

7:7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

7:7 thì ta seõ khieán caùc ngöôi aên ôû trong nôi naày vaø trong ñaát maø ta ñaõ ban cho toå phuï caùc ngöôi töø thuôû xöa cho ñeán ñôøi ñôøi.

7:8 Behold, all of you trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

7:8 Naày, caùc ngöôi caäy nhöõng lôøi phænh phôø chaúng coù ích gì.

7:9 Will all of you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom all of you know not;

7:9 Caùc ngöôi haù chaúng troäm cöôùp, gieát ngöôøi, phaïm toäi taø daâm, theà doái, daâng höông cho Ba-anh, ñi theo thaàn khaùc, laø thaàn mình khoâng bieát hay sao?

7:10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

7:10 Roài caùc ngöôi ñeán chaàu ta trong nhaø naày, laø nôi ñöôïc xöng baèng danh ta, vaø noùi raèng: Kìa, chuùng toâi ñöôïc thaû roài! haàu cho caùc ngöôi ñöôïc phaïm moïi söï gôùm ghieác aáy.

7:11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, says the LORD.

7:11 Vaäy thì caùc ngöôi xem nhaø naày, laø nôi ñöôïc xöng baèng danh ta, nhö hang troäm cöôùp sao? Naày, ta, chính ta xem thaáy moïi ñieàu ñoù, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

7:12 But go all of you now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

7:12 Theá thì, haõy ñi ñeán choã ôû cuõ cuûa ta taïo Si-loâ, laø nôi tröôùc kia ta ñaõ gôûi danh ta, maø xem, vì toäi aùc cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân ta, ta ñaõ laøm cho noù theå naøo.

7:13 And now, because all of you have done all these works, says the LORD, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, but all of you heard not; and I called you, but all of you answered not;

7:13 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hieän baây giôø, vì caùc ngöôi ñaõ laøm nhöõng vieäc aáy, ta ñaõ daäy sôùm phaùn daïy caùc ngöôi, maø caùc ngöôi khoâng nghe; laïi goïi caùc ngöôi maø caùc ngöôi khoâng traû lôøi,

7:14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein all of you trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

7:14 thì ta seõ laøm cho nhaø naày, töùc laø nhaø ñöôïc xöng baèng danh ta, laø nhaø maø caùc ngöôi nhôø caäy, vaø laøm cho nôi maø ta ñaõ ban cho caùc ngöôi cuøng toå phuï caùc ngöôi, cuõng nhö ta ñaõ laøm cho Si-loâ;

7:15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

7:15 ta laïi boû caùc ngöôi khoûi tröôùc maét ta, cuõng nhö ta ñaõ boû anh em caùc ngöôi heát thaûy, töùc laø caû doøng doõi Eùp-ra-im.

7:16 Therefore pray not you for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear you.

7:16 Cho neân ngöôi chôù vì daân naày maø caàu thay; ñöøng vì noù maø caát tieáng khaán vaùi caàu nguyeän, cuõng ñöøng caàu thay cuøng ta, vì ta seõ chaúng nghe ngöôi.

7:17 See you not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

7:17 Ngöôi haù chaúng thaáy ñieàu hoï laøm trong caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña vaø trong caùc ñöôøng phoá Gieâ-ru-sa-lem sao?

7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

7:18 Con löôïm cuûi, cha nhen löûa, ñôøn baø nhoài boät, ñaëng laøm baùnh daâng cho nöõ vöông treân trôøi, vaø laøm leã quaùn cho caùc thaàn khaùc, ñeå choïc giaän ta.

7:19 Do they provoke me to anger? says the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

7:19 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Coù phaûi chuùng noù choïc giaän ta chaêng? Haù chaúng phaûi chuùng noù töï choïc mình, chuoác laáy ñieàu hoå maët cho mình sao?

7:20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

7:20 Vaäy neân, Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, côn giaän vaø söï thaïnh noä cuûa ta seõ ñoå xuoáng treân xöù naày, treân ngöôøi ta vaø thuù vaät, treân caây coái ngoaøi ñoàng vaø hoa quaû cuûa ñaát, seõ ñoát chaùy heát, chaúng taét bao giôø.

7:21 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

7:21 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy theâm cuûa leã thieâu cuûa caùc ngöôi vaøo caùc cuûa leã khaùc, vaø aên thòt ñi!

7:22 For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

7:22 Vì khi ta ñem toå phuï caùc ngöôi ra khoûi ñaát EÂ-díp-toâ, ta chaúng heà phaùn, vaø chaúng heà truyeàn maïng lònh gì veà cuûa leã thieâu vaø caùc cuûa leã.

7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and all of you shall be my people: and walk all of you in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

7:23 Nhöng, naày laø maïng lònh maø ta ñaõ truyeàn cho hoï: Haõy nghe tieáng ta, thì ta seõ laøm Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caùc ngöôi, caùc ngöôi seõ laøm daân ta; haõy ñi theo caû ñöôøng loái ta daïy cho, ñeå caùc ngöôi ñöôïc phöôùc.

7:24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

7:24 Nhöng hoï chaúng nghe, vaø chaúng gheù tai vaøo, cöù böôùc ñi trong möu cuûa mình, theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng aùc mình, thuït luøi chaúng böôùc tôùi.

7:25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

7:25 Töø ngaøy toå phuï caùc ngöôi ra khoûi ñaát EÂ-díp-toâ cho ñeán ngaøy nay, ta ñaõ sai moïi ñaày tôù ta, töùc caùc tieân tri, ñeán cuøng caùc ngöôi; moãi ngaøy ta daäy sôùm sai hoï ñeán.

7:26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

7:26 Nhöng chuùng noù chaúng nghe ta, chaúng heà ñeå tai vaøo, song laïi cöùng coå, aên ôû caøng xaáu hôn toå phuï mình.

7:27 Therefore you shall speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to you: you shall also call unto them; but they will not answer you.

7:27 Vaäy ngöôi seõ noùi vôùi chuùng noù moïi lôøi naày, nhöng chuùng noù khoâng nghe ngöôi. Ngöôi seõ keâu, nhöõng chuùng noù khoâng traû lôøi.

7:28 But you shall say unto them, This is a nation that obeys not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receives correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

7:28 Vaäy neân ngöôi khaù baûo chuùng noù raèng: Naày laø daân chaúng nghe tieáng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình, vaø khoâng chòu nhaän söï daïy doã. Söï chôn thaät maát roài, ñaõ döùt khoûi mieäng chuùng noù.

7:29 Cut off yours hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

7:29 Hôõi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, haõy caét toùc maø neùm cho xa ñi; haõy caát tieáng thaûm saàu treân caùc goø troïi! Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ cheâ-choái lìa boû doøng doõi naày, maø Ngaøi töùc giaän.

7:30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, says the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

7:30 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Con caùi Giu-ña ñaõ laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maét ta, chuùng noù ñaët nhöõng vaät gôùm ghieác trong nhaø ñöôïc xöng baèng danh ta, ñeå laøm cho oâ ueá.

7:31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

7:31 Chuùng noù ñaõ xaây caùc nôi cao cuûa Toâ-pheát, trong truõng cuûa con trai Hi-noâm, ñaëng ñoát con trai con gaùi mình trong löûa, aáy laø ñieàu ta chaúng töøng daïy, laø ñieàu ta chaúng heà nghó ñeán.

7:32 Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.

7:32 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Naày, nhöõng ngaøy ñeán, baáy giôø seõ khoâng goïi laø Toâ-pheát vaø truõng cuûa con trai Hi-noâm nöõa, maø goïi laø truõng cuûa söï cheùm gieát; vì ngöôøi ta seõ choân keû cheát taïi Toâ-pheát, cho ñeán thieáu choã choân.

7:33 And the carcasses of this people shall be food for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

7:33 Nhöõng thaây cuûa daân naày seõ laøm ñoà aên cho chim trôøi vaø thuù vaät döôùi ñaát, chaúng ai xua ñuoåi.

7:34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of delight, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

7:34 Baáy giôø ta seõ laøm cho caùc thaønh cuûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem heát tieáng keâu vui reo möøng tieáng cuûa reå môùi vaø daâu môùi, vì ñaát naày seõ trôû neân hoang vu.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

8:1 At that time, says the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

8:1 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Trong thôøi ñoù, ngöôøi ta seõ bôùi xöông cuûa caùc vua Giu-ña, xöông cuûa caùc quan tröôûng, xöông cuûa caùc thaày teá leã, xöông cuûa caùc tieân tri, vaø xöông cuûa caùc daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ra khoûi moà maû.

8:2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

8:2 Ngöôøi ta seõ phôi nhöõng xöông aáy ra döôùi maët trôøi, maët traêng, vaø cô binh treân trôøi, töùc laø nhöõng vaät maø hoï ñaõ yeâu meán, haàu vieäc, böôùc theo, tìm caàu, vaø thôø laïy. Nhöõng xöông aáy seõ chaúng ñöôïc thaâu laïi, chaúng ñöôïc choân laïi; seõ nhö phaân treân maët ñaát.

8:3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places where I have driven them, says the LORD of hosts.

8:3 Moïi keû soùt cuûa hoï haøng gian aùc aáy coøn laïi trong moïi nôi ta ñaõ ñuoåi chuùng noù ñeán, chuùng noù seõ caàu cheát hôn laø soáng, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.

8:4 Moreover you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?

8:4 Vaäy ngöôi khaù baûo chuùng noù raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôøi ta vaáp ngaõ, haù chaúng ñöùng daäy sao? Keû naøo trôû ñi, haù chaúng trôû veà sao?

8:5 Why then is this people of Jerusalem slides back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

8:5 Vaäy thì laøm sao maø daân söï Gieâ-ru-sa-lem naày cöù maøi mieät trong söï boäi nghòch ñôøi ñôøi? Chuùng noù khaêng khaêng giöõ ñieàu gian traù, chaúng chòu trôû laïi.

8:6 I hearkened and heard, but they spoke not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle.

8:6 Ta ñaõ laéng tai vaø nghe: chuùng noù chaúng noùi ngay thaúng, chaúng coù ai aên naên ñieàu aùc cuûa mình, maø raèng: Ta ñaõ laøm gì? Thaûy ñeàu dong ruoåi nhö ngöïa xoâng vaøo traän.

8:7 Yea, the stork in the heaven knows her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.

8:7 Chim haïc giöõa khoaûng khoâng töï bieát caùc muøa nhaát ñònh cho noù; chim cu, chim yeán, chim nhaïn, giöõ kyø dôøi choã ôû. Nhöng daân ta chaúng bieát luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va!

8:8 How do all of you say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

8:8 Sao caùc ngöôi noùi ñöôïc raèng: Chuùng ta laø khoân saùng, coù luaät phaùp Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû vôùi chuùng ta? Nhöng, naày, ngoïn buùt giaû doái cuûa boïn thoâng giaùo ñaõ laøm cho luaät phaùp aáy ra söï noùi doái!

8:9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?

8:9 Nhöõng keû khoân saùng bò xaáu hoå, sôï haõi, vaø bò baét. Chuùng noù ñaõ boû lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; thì söï khoân ngoan noù laø theå naøo?

8:10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

8:10 Vaäy neân, ta seõ ban vôï chuùng noù cho keû khaùc, ruoäng chuùng noù cho chuû môùi; vì töø keû raát nhoû cho ñeán ngöôøi raát lôùn, ai naày ñeàu tham lam; töø tieân tri cho ñeán thaày teá leã, ai naày ñeàu laøm söï gian doái.

8:11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

8:11 Chuùng noù ròt veát thöông cho con gaùi daân ta caùch sô saøi, noùi raèng: Bình an, bình an! maø khoâng bình an chi heát.

8:12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, says the LORD.

8:12 Chuùng noù laøm ra söï gôùm ghieác, haù laáy laøm xaáu hoå ö? ñaõ chaúng xaáu hoå chuùt naøo, laïi cuõng khoâng theïn ñoû maët. Vaäy neân chuùng noù seõ ngaõ vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi vaáp ngaõ. Ñeán ngaøy thaêm phaït, chuùng noù seõ bò laät ñoå, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

8:13 I will surely consume them, says the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.

8:13 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Thaät, ta seõ dieät heát chuùng noù. Chaúng coøn traùi nho treân caây nho; chaúng coøn traùi vaû treân caây vaû; laù seõ khoâ ruïng; nhöõng ñieàu ta ñaõ ban cho, seõ bò caát laáy!

8:14 Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God has put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.

8:14 Sao chuùng ta cöù ngoài yeân? Haõy nhoùm laïi vaø vaøo caùc thaønh beàn vöõng, vaø nín laëng taïi ñoù! Vì Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta ñaõ khieán chuùng ta nín laëng, Ngaøi cho chuùng ta uoáng maät ñaéng, vì chuùng ta ñaõ phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

8:15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!

8:15 Chuùng ta troâng söï bình an, nhöng chaúng coù söï toát gì ñeán; troâng kyø chöõa laønh, vaø söï sôï haõi ñaây naày!

8:16 The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.

8:16 Veà phía thaønh Ñan, nghe tieáng theùt cuûa ngöïa noù; nghe tieáng ngöïa chieán noù hí leân, khaép ñaát ñeàu run raåy; vì chuùng noù ñaõ ñeán; nuoát ñaát vaø moïi vaät trong noù, nuoát thaønh vaø daân cö noù.

8:17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, says the LORD.

8:17 Naày, ta seõ sai raén, boï caïp ñeán giöõa caùc ngöôi, chaúng ai eám chuù ñöôïc noù; chuùng noù seõ caén caùc ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

8:18 When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.

8:18 Öôùc gì toâi ñöôïc yeân uûi, khoûi söï lo buoàn! Loøng toâi moûi meät trong toâi!

8:19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?

8:19 Naày, coù tieáng keâu la cuûa con gaùi daân ta, keâu töø ñaát xa laém, raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khoâng coøn ôû trong Si-oân sao? Vua cuûa thaønh aáy khoâng coøn ôû giöõa thaønh sao? Sao chuùng noù duøng töôïng chaïm cuûa mình vaø vaät hö khoâng cuûa daân ngoaïi maø choïc giaän ta vaäy?

8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

8:20 Muøa gaët ñaõ qua, muøa haï ñaõ heát, maø chuùng ta chöa ñöôïc cöùu roãi!

8:21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment has taken hold on me.

8:21 Con gaùi daân ta bò thöông, ta vì ñoù bò thöông; ta ñöông saàu thaûm; bò söï kinh haõi baét laáy.

8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

8:22 Trong Ga-la-aùt haù chaúng coù nhuõ höông sao? haù chaúng coù thaày thuoác ôû ñoù sao? Vaäy thì laøm sao maø bònh con gaùi daân ta chaúng chöõa laønh?

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

9:1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

9:1 Oâi! öôùc gì ñaàu toâi laø suoái nöôùc, maét toâi laø nguoàn luïy! haàu cho toâi vì nhöõng keû bò gieát cuûa con gaùi daân ta maø khoùc suoát ngaøy ñeâm.

9:2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of travelling men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.

9:2 Oâi! öôùc gì toâi coù moät caùi quaùn khaùch boä haønh trong ñoàng vaéng! ñeå toâi ñöôïc boû daân ta maø ñi xa khoûi hoï; vì hoï thaûy ñieàu laø keû taø daâm, aáy laø moät boïn quæ traù.

9:3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, says the LORD.

9:3 Chuùng noù giöông löôõi mình nhö caùi cung, ñaëng phaùt lôøi doái traù ra. Chuùng noù ôû trong xöù laø maïnh lôùn, maø chaúng laøm söï chôn thaät; bôûi chuùng noù laøm aùc caøng theâm aùc, vaø chaúng nhìn bieát ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

9:4 Take all of you heed every one of his neighbour, and trust all of you not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.

9:4 Ai naáy phaûi giöõ gìn vì ngöôøi laân caän mình, chôù tin caäy moät ngöôøi naøo trong voøng anh em mình; vì moãi ngöôøi anh em seõ löøa phænh anh em laém, moãi ngöôøi laân caän ñeàu ñi daïo noùi xaáu.

9:5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

9:5 Ai naáy gaït gaãm keû laân caän mình, chaúng noùi söï chôn thaät. Chuùng noù luyeän taäp löôõi mình maø noùi doái, chaêm chæ laøm ñieàu aùc.

9:6 Yours habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, says the LORD.

9:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ngöôi aên ôû giöõa söï doái traù; aáy cuõng vì côù söï doái traù maø chuùng noù chaúng khöùng nhìn bieát ta.

9:7 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

9:7 Vaäy neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ laøm cho tan chaûy vaø thöû chuùng noù; vì neáu chaúng vaäy thì xöû vôùi con gaùi daân ta theå naøo?

9:8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he lays his wait.

9:8 Löôõi chuùng noù laø teân ñoäc, hay buoâng lôøi doái traù. Ngoaøi mieäng thì chuùc bình an cho keû laân caän mình, maø trong loøng thì gaøi baãy.

9:9 Shall I not visit them for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

9:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta haù chaúng thaêm phaït chuùng noù veà moïi ñieàu aáy sao? Thaàn ta haù chaúng traû thuø moät nöôùc döôøng aáy sao?

9:10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

9:10 Ta seõ khoùc loùc thôû than veà caùc nuùi, seõ xöôùng baøi ca saàu naõo veà noäi coû nôi ñoàng vaéng, vì thaûy ñeàu bò ñoát chaùy, ñeán noãi chaúng coøn ai ñi qua ñoù nöõa. Taïi ñoù chaúng coøn nghe tieáng baày suùc vaät, chim trôøi vaø loaøi thuù ñeàu troán ñi caû roài.

9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

9:11 Ta seõ khieán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem thaønh ñoàng ñoå naùt, nôi ôû cuûa choù röøng; seõ laøm cho caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña ra hoang vu khoâng ngöôøi ôû.

9:12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perishes and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passes through?

9:12 Ai laø ngöôøi khoân ngoan ñaëng hieåu nhöõng söï naày? vaø mieäng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va noùi cuøng ai, ñeå ngöôøi baùo tin? vì laøm sao xöù naày bò dieät bò chaùy nhö ñoàng vaéng, ñeán noãi khoâng ai qua laïi?

9:13 And the LORD says, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;

9:13 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp raèng: Aáy laø vì chuùng noù boû luaät phaùp ta maø ta ñaõ ñaët cho; khoâng vaâng tieáng ta, vaø khoâng böôùc theo.

9:14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:

9:14 Nhöng chuùng noù böôùc theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng mình, theo caùc thaàn Ba-anh maø toå phuï mình ñaõ daïy.

9:15 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

9:15 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ cho daân naày aên ngaûi cöùu, vaø cho uoáng maät ñaéng.

9:16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.

9:16 Ta seõ laøm cho chuùng noù tan laïc trong caùc daân toäc maø chuùng noù vaø toå phuï mình chöa töøng bieát; ta seõ sai göôm ñuoåi theo, cho ñeán chöøng naøo ñaõ dieät chuùng noù.

9:17 Thus says the LORD of hosts, Consider all of you, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:

9:17 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy lo goïi nhöõng ñôøn baø hay khoùc möôùn, cho chuùng noù ñeán; haõy goïi nhöõng ngöôøi ñôøn baø raát kheùo, cho chuùng noù ñeán.

9:18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.

9:18 Chuùng noù haõy voäi vaøng vì chuùng ta rôi luïy, mí maét chuùng ta traøn nöôùc ra!

9:19 For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.

9:19 Vaû, coù tieáng phaøn naøn nghe töø Si-oân, raèng: Chuùng ta bò huûy phaù döôøng naøo! Chuùng ta bò xaáu hoå laém, vì chuùng ta boû ñaát; vì hoï ñaõ phaù ñoå choã ôû chuùng ta!

9:20 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O all of you women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.

9:20 Hôõi caùc ñôøn baø, haõy nghe lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, tai caùc ngöôi haõy nghe lôøi mieäng Ngaøi phaùn! Haõy daïy cho caùc con gaùi caùc ngöôi baøi ca vaõn; moãi ngöôøi haõy daïy cho keû laân caän mình khoùc than!

9:21 For death has come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

9:21 Vì söï cheát ñaõ leân vaøo cöûa soå chuùng ta, ñaõ saán vaøo trong cung chuùng ta, gieát con caùi taïi ngoaøi ñöôøng, vaø keû trai treû giöõa chôï.

9:22 Speak, Thus says the LORD, Even the carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.

9:22 Ngöôi haõy baûo raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Thaây ngöôøi ta seõ ngaõ xuoáng nhö phaân ñoå ñoàng ruoäng, vaø nhö naém luùa ñoå ra sau löng con gaët; chaúng ai seõ löôïm chuùng noù laïi!

9:23 Thus says the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

9:23 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôøi khoân chôù khoe söï khoân mình; ngöôøi maïnh chôù khoe söï maïnh mình; ngöôøi giaøu chôù khoe söï giaøu mình.

9:24 But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

9:24 Nhöng keû naøo khoe, haõy khoe veà trí khoân mình bieát ta laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, laø Ñaáng laøm ra söï thöông xoùt, chaùnh tröïc, vaø coâng bình treân ñaát; vì ta öa thích nhöõng söï aáy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

9:25 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;

9:25 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Naày, ngaøy ñeán, baáy giôø ta seõ phaït moïi keû chòu caét bì maø loøng chöa caét bì:

9:26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

9:26 töùc laø EÂ-díp-toâ, Giu-ña, EÂ-ñoâm, con chaùu Am-moân, Moâ-aùp, vaø heát thaûy nhöõng daân caïo toùc maøng tang vaø ôû nôi ñoàng vaéng. Vì moïi daân toäc ñeàu khoâng caét bì, coøn caû nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân chaúng caét bì trong loøng.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

10:1 Hear all of you the word which the LORD speaks unto you, O house of Israel:

10:1 Hôõi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, haõy nghe lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cho ngöôi.

10:2 Thus says the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

10:2 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Chôù taäp theo tuïc cuûa caùc daân ngoaïi, chôù sôï caùc daáu treân trôøi, maëc daàu daân ngoaïi nghi sôï caùc daáu aáy.

10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

10:3 Vì thoùi quen cuûa caùc daân aáy chæ laø hö khoâng. Ngöôøi ta ñoán caây trong röøng, tay thôï laáy buùa maø ñeõo;

10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

10:4 roài laáy baïc vaøng maø trang söùc; duøng buùa maø ñoùng ñinh vaøo, ñaëng khoûi lung lay.

10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must essentially be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

10:5 Caùc thaàn aáy tieän nhö hình caây chaø laø, khoâng bieát noùi; khoâng bieát ñi, neân phaûi khieâng. Ñöøng sôï caùc thaàn aáy, vì khoâng coù quyeàn laøm hoïa hay laøm phöôùc.

10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might.

10:6 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, chaúng ai gioáng nhö Ngaøi! Ngaøi laø lôùn, danh Ngaøi coù söùc maïnh lôùn laém.

10:7 Who would not fear you, O King of nations? in order to you does it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto you.

10:7 Hôõi vua caùc nöôùc! ai chaúng neân sôï Ngaøi? Aáy laø ñieàu Ngaøi ñaùng ñöôïc. Vì trong nhöõng ngöôøi khoân ngoan cuûa caùc nöôùc, toû ra söï vinh hieån mình, chaúng coù ai gioáng nhö Ngaøi.

10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

10:8 Chuùng noù heát thaûy ñeàu laø u meâ khôø daïi. Söï daïy doã cuûa hình töôïng chæ laø goã maø thoâi.

10:9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.

10:9 Aáy laø baïc giaùt moûng vaän ñeán töø Ta-reâ-si, vaø vaøng cuûa U-pha, nhôø tay thôï chaïm laøm ra cuøng thôï vaøng cheá thaønh; coù vaûi maøu xanh maøu tím laøm aùo; aáy cuõng laø vieäc cuûa ngöôøi thôï kheùo.

10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

10:10 Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi thaät; Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi haèng soáng, laø Vua ñôøi ñôøi. Nhôn côn giaän Ngaøi, ñaát ñeàu ruùng ñoäng, caùc nöôùc khoâng theå chòu ñöôïc côn giaän Ngaøi.

10:11 Thus shall all of you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

10:11 Caùc ngöôi khoù noùi cuøng hoï raèng: Nhöõng thaàn naày khoâng laøm neân caùc töøng trôøi, cuõng khoâng laøm neân ñaát, thì seõ bò dieät ñi khoûi treân ñaát vaø khoûi döôùi caùc töøng trôøi.

10:12 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

10:12 Chính Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm neân ñaát bôûi quyeàn naêng Ngaøi, ñaõ laäp theá gian bôûi söï khoân ngoan Ngaøi, ñaõ giöông caùc töøng trôøi ra bôûi söï thoâng saùng Ngaøi.

10:13 When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures.

10:13 Khi Ngaøi phaùt ra tieáng, thì coù tieáng ñoäng lôùn cuûa nöôùc trong caùc töøng trôøi; Ngaøi laøm cho hôi nöôùc töø ñaàu cuøng ñaát bay leân, keùo gioù ra töø trong kho Ngaøi;

10:14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

10:14 ngöôøi ta ñeàu trôû neân u meâ khôø daïi, thôï vaøng xaáu hoå vì töôïng chaïm cuûa mình; vì caùc töôïng ñuùc chaúng qua laø giaû doái, chaúng coù hôi thôû ôû trong;

10:15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

10:15 chæ laø söï hö voâ, chæ laø ñoà ñaùnh löøa; ñeán ngaøy thaêm phaït seõ bò dieät maát.

10:16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

10:16 Saûn nghieäp cuûa Gia-coáp thì chaúng gioáng nhö vaäy; vì Ngaøi ñaõ taïo neân moïi söï, vaø Y-sô-ra-eân laø chi phaùi cuûa cô nghieäp Ngaøi. Danh Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân.

10:17 Gather up your wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.

10:17 Hôõi ngöôi laø keû bò vaây, haõy laáy cuûa caûi mình lìa khoûi ñaát naày.

10:18 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.

10:18 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, laàn naày ta seõ lieäng ra daân cuûa ñaát naày, ta seõ laøm khoán chuùng noù, cho chuùng noù tænh bieát.

10:19 Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.

10:19 Khoán naïn cho toâi vì veát thöông toâi! Vít toâi laø ñau ñôùn! Nhöng toâi noùi: Aáy laø söï lo buoàn toâi, toâi phaûi chòu.

10:20 My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone out of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

10:20 Traïi cuûa toâi bò phaù huûy, nhöõng daây cuûa toâi ñeàu ñöùt, con caùi toâi boû toâi, chuùng noù khoâng coøn nöõa. Toâi khoâng coù ngöôøi ñeå giöông traïi toâi ra vaø caêng maøn toâi.

10:21 For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

10:21 Nhöõng keû chaên chieân ñeàu ngu daïi, chaúng tìm caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vì vaäy maø chuùng noù chaúng ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng, vaø heát thaûy nhöõng baày chuùng noù bò tan laïc.

10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit has come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

10:22 Naày, coù tieáng ñoàn ra; coù söï oàn aøo lôùn ñeán töø mieàn phöông baéc, ñaëng laøm cho caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña neân hoang vu, neân hang choù röøng.

10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.

10:23 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, toâi bieát ñöôøng cuûa loaøi ngöôøi chaúng do nôi hoï, ngöôøi ta ñi, chaúng coù quyeàn daãn ñöa böôùc cuûa mình.

10:24 O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in yours anger, lest you bring me to nothing.

10:24 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaäy xin haõy söûa trò toâi caùch chöøng ñoãi; xin chôù nhôn côn giaän, e raèng Ngaøi laøm cho toâi ra hö khoâng chaêng.

10:25 Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know you not, and upon the families that call not on your name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

10:25 Xin haõy ñoå söï thaïnh noä treân caùc nöôùc chaúng nhìn bieát Ngaøi, treân caùc hoï haøng chaúng keâu caàu danh Ngaøi. Vì hoï nuoát Gia-coáp, vaø coøn nuoát nöõa; hoï dieät Gia-coáp, laøm cho choã ôû noù thaønh ra hoang vu.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

11:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD saying,

11:1 Töø nôi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, coù lôøi phaùn cho Gieâ-reâ-mi nhö vaày:

11:2 Hear all of you the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;

11:2 Haõy nghe nhöõng lôøi giao öôùc naày, vaø baûo cho ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø daân ôû thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

11:3 And say you unto them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeys not the words of this covenant,

11:3 Ngöôi khaù baûo chuùng noù raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân phaùn nhö vaày: Ñaùng ruûa thay laø ngöôøi khoâng nghe lôøi giao öôùc naày,

11:4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall all of you be my people, and I will be your God:

11:4 maø ta ñaõ truyeàn cho toå phuï caùc ngöôi, trong ngaøy ta ñem hoï ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, khoûi loø naáu saét, maø phaùn raèng: Haõy nghe tieáng ta, noi theo ñieàu ta daïy maø laøm. Vaäy thì caùc ngöôi seõ laøm daân ta, ta seõ laøm Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caùc ngöôi;

11:5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.

11:5 haàu cho ta giöõ lôøi theà ta ñaõ theà cuøng toå phuï caùc ngöôi, maø ban cho hoï moät xöù ñöôïm söõa vaø maät, nhö xöù caùc ngöôi thaáy ngaøy nay. Toâi beøn thöa raèng: Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! A-men!

11:6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear all of you the words of this covenant, and do them.

11:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Haõy rao moïi lôøi naày trong caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña vaø trong caùc ñöôøng phoá Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: haõy nghe nhöõng lôøi giao öôùc naày maø laøm theo.

11:7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.

11:7 Ta ñaõ khuyeân raên toå phuï caùc ngöôi töø ngaøy ñem hoï leân khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ cho ñeán ngaøy nay. Ta daäy sôùm maø khuyeân raên hoï raèng: Haõy vaâng theo tieáng ta!

11:8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not.

11:8 Nhöng hoï khoâng vaâng lôøi, khoâng ñeå tai vaøo; hoï theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng aùc mình maø laøm. Vì vaäy ta ñaõ laøm cho hoï moïi lôøi ngaêm ñe cuûa giao öôùc naày, laø ñieàu ta ñaõ daën hoï laøm theo maø hoï khoâng laøm theo.

11:9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

11:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Trong ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø trong daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem coù keû ñaõ laäp möu baïn nghòch.

11:10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

11:10 Chuùng noù quay veà söï toäi aùc cuûa toå tieân mình, laø keû ñaõ chaúng khöùng nghe lôøi ta, vaø theo caùc thaàn khaùc ñaëng haàu vieäc. Nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân vôùi nhaø Giu-ña ñaõ phaïm giao öôùc maø ta ñaõ laäp cuøng toå phuï chuùng noù.

11:11 Therefore thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

11:11 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ khieán tai naïn ñoå treân chuùng noù, khoâng theå traùnh ñöôïc; chuùng noù seõ keâu ñeán ta, nhöõng ta chaúng theøm nghe.

11:12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

11:12 Baáy giôø, caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña vaø daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem seõ ñi keâu caàu caùc thaàn maø mình vaãn daâng höông; nhöng caùc thaàn aáy seõ khoâng cöùu chuùng noù trong khi hoaïn naïn ñaâu.

11:13 For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have all of you set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

11:13 Hôõi Giu-ña, ngöôi coù bao nhieâu thaønh, coù baáy nhieâu thaàn; Gieâ-ru-sa-lem coù bao nhieâu ñöôøng phoá, caùc ngöôi cuõng laäp baáy nhieâu baøn thôø cho vaät xaáu hoå, töùc nhöõng baøn thôø ñoát höông cho Ba-anh.

11:14 Therefore pray not you for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

11:14 Vaäy ngöôi chôù caàu thay cho daân naày; chôù vì chuùng noù leân tieáng keâu caàu; vì khi chuùng noù nhôn côù hoaïn naïn maø keâu ñeán ta, ta chaúng theøm nghe.

11:15 What has my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she has wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? when you do evil, then you rejoice.

11:15 Keû yeâu daáu cuûa ta ñaõ laøm nhieàu söï daâm loaïn, vaø thòt thaùnh ñaõ caát khoûi ngöôi, coøn ñeán trong nhaø ta laøm chi? maø ngöôi coøn laáy laøm vui trong khi phaïm toäi.

11:16 The LORD called your name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he has kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.

11:16 Xöa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va voán xöng noù laø caây oâ-li-ve xanh, traùi töôi toát ñaùng öa! Nay coù tieáng lôùn inh oûi, Ngaøi ñoát löûa nôi caây aáy, nhöõng nhaùnh noù bò gaõy.

11:17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted you, has pronounced evil against you, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.

11:17 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, laø Ñaáng ñaõ vun troàng ngöôi, nay ñaõ phaùn ñònh tai vaï nghòch cuøng ngöôi, vì côù söï gian aùc maø nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân vaø nhaø Giu-ña ñaõ laøm cho mình khi choïc giaän ta bôûi hoï daâng höông cho Ba-anh.

11:18 And the LORD has given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then you showed me their doings.

11:18 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ cho toâi bieát söï aáy, vaø toâi bieát roài: thì Ngaøi ñaõ toû ra cho toâi vieäc laøm cuûa chuùng noù.

11:19 But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

11:19 Coøn toâi, nhö chieân con deã bieåu bò daét ñeán choã gieát, toâi chaúng bieát hoï möu toan nghòch cuøng toâi, maø raèng: Haõy dieät caû caây vaø traùi, döùt khoûi ñaát ngöôøi soáng, haàu cho danh noù chaúng ñöôïc nhôù ñeán nöõa.

11:20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judge righteously, that try the reins and the heart, let me see your vengeance on them: for unto you have I revealed my cause.

11:20 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân! Ngaøi ñoaùn xeùt caùch coâng bình, doø xeùt loøng vaø trí, toâi seõ thaáy söï Ngaøi baùo thuø hoï, vì toâi ñaõ toû vieäc toâi cuøng Ngaøi.

11:21 Therefore thus says the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek your life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that you die not by our hand:

11:21 Vaäy neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày veà ngöôøi A-na-toát, laø keû ñoøi maïng soáng ngöôi, maø raèng: Neáu ngöôi khoâng muoán cheát veà tay ta, thì chôù nhôn danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø noùi tieân tri!

11:22 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:

11:22 Vaäy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ phaït chuùng noù; nhöõng ngöôøi trai traùng seõ cheát bôûi göôm dao, nhöõng con trai con gaùi noù seõ cheát bôûi ñoùi keùm;

11:23 And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.

11:23 seõ khoâng coù daân soùt cho chuùng noù; vì ñeán naêm thaêm phaït, ta seõ giaùng tai vaï treân ngöôøi nam cuûa A-na-toát.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

12:1 Righteous are you, O LORD, when I plead with you: yet let me talk with you of your judgments: Wherefore does the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?

12:1 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, toâi bieän luaän cuøng Ngaøi, Ngaøi thaät coâng bình; daàu vaäy, toâi coøn muoán bieän luaän cuøng Ngaøi. Sao ñöôøng loái nhöõng keû aùc ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng? Sao nhöõng ngöôøi gian traù ñöôïc yeân oån?

12:2 You have planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: you are near in their mouth, and far from their reins.

12:2 Ngaøi ñaõ vun troàng hoï; hoï ñaõ ñaâm reã, lôùn leân vaø ra traùi. Mieäng hoï ôû gaàn Ngaøi, song loøng hoï caùch xa Ngaøi.

12:3 But you, O LORD, know me: you have seen me, and tried mine heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

12:3 Hôõi Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ngaøi bieát toâi, thaáy toâi, thöû xem loøng toâi ñoái vôùi Ngaøi theå naøo. Xin keùo nhöõng ngöôøi aáy nhö con chieân bò daét ñeán choã gieát, bieät rieâng hoï ra cho ngaøy ñaùnh gieát!

12:4 How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.

12:4 Trong xöù bò saàu thaûm, coû ngoaøi ñoàng khoâ heùo cho ñeán chöøng naøo? Vì côù daân cö hung aùc neân loaøi sinh suùc vaø chim choùc ñeàu bò dieät. Vì chuùng noù noùi raèng: Ngöôøi seõ chaúng thaáy söï cuoái cuøng cuûa chuùng ta!

12:5 If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the swelling of Jordan?

12:6 For even your brethren, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; yea, they have called a multitude after you: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto you.

12:6 Chính anh em ngöôi vaø nhaø cha ngöôi ñöông phaûn ngöôi, chuùng noù cuõng keâu tieáng to sau ngöôi nöõa. Daàu chuùng noù noùi nhöõng lôøi laønh, ngöôi chôù neân tin!

12:7 I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

12:7 Ta ñaõ lìa nhaø ta; ñaõ boû saûn nghieäp ta; ñaõ phoù daân loøng ta raát yeâu meán cho keû thuø nghòch noù.

12:8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it cries out against me: therefore have I hated it.

12:8 Cô nghieäp ta ñoái vôùi ta nhö sö töû trong röøng, gaàm theùt nghòch cuøng ta; cho neân ta laáy laøm gheùt.

12:9 Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come all of you, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.

12:9 Cô nghieäp ta haù nhö chim keân keân vaèn veän kia, caùc chim aên thòt haù vaây laáy noù sao? Haõy ñi nhoùm caùc loaøi thuù ñoàng laïi, cho chuùng noù caén nuoát ñi!

12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

12:10 Nhieàu keû chaên chieân ñaõ phaù vöôøn nho ta, giaøy ñaïp saûn nghieäp ta döôùi chôn, laøm cho choã ñaát vui thích cuûa ta thaønh ra röøng hoang.

12:11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourns unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart.

12:11 Ngöôøi ta ñaõ laøm cho ñaát aáy ra hoang vu; noù bò phaù haïi, than thôû tröôùc maët ta. Caû xöù ñeàu hoang vu, vì chaúng ai ñeå vaøo loøng.

12:12 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.

12:12 Nhöõng keû phaù dieät ñeán treân caùc goø troïi nôi ñoàng vaéng; vì göôm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nuoát ñaát naày töø ñaàu naày ñeán ñaàu kia, chaúng coù loaøi xaùc thòt naøo ñöôïc bình an.

12:13 They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

12:13 Chuùng noù ñaõ gieo luùa mình vaø gaët nhöõng gai goác, khoù nhoïc maø chaúng ñöôïc ích gì. Caùc ngöôi seõ hoå theïn veà hoa traùi mình, vì côn giaän phöøng phöøng cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va!

12:14 Thus says the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.

12:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Moïi keû laân caän xaáu cuûa ta, laø keû choaùn laáy saûn nghieäp maø ta ñaõ ban cho daân ta, laø Y-sô-ra-eân, laøm kæ vaät; naày, ta seõ nhoå chuùng noù khoûi ñaát mình, vaø nhoå nhaø Giu-ña ra khoûi giöõa chuùng noù.

12:15 And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

12:15 Nhöng, khi ta ñaõ nhoå ñi, ta cuõng seõ trôû laïi thöông xoùt chuùng noù; khieán chuùng noù ai naáy ñeàu ñöôïc laïi saûn nghieäp mình, vaø ai naáy ñeàu veà ñaát mình.

12:16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD lives; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.

12:16 Neáu chuùng noù sieâng naêng hoïc taäp ñöôøng loái daân ta, nhôn danh ta maø theà raèng: Thaät nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng! cuõng nhö chuùng noù ñaõ daïy daân ta chæ Ba-anh maø theà, baáy giôø chuùng noù seõ ñöôïc gaây döïng giöõa daân ta.

12:17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, says the LORD.

12:17 Nhöng neáu chuùng noù khoâng nghe, ta seõ nhoå daân toäc ñoù ñi, nhoå ñi vaø laøm cho dieät maát, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

13:1 Thus says the LORD unto me, Go and get you a linen girdle, and put it upon your loins, and put it not in water.

13:1 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi nhö vaày: Haõy ñi, mua cho ngöôi moät caùi ñai gai, thaét vaøo löng ngöôi; nhöng chôù daàm trong nöôùc.

13:2 So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.

13:2 Vaäy toâi theo lònh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, mua ñai, thaét vaøo löng toâi.

13:3 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,

13:3 Lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va truyeàn cho toâi laàn thöù hai nhö vaày:

13:4 Take the girdle that you have got, which is upon your loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.

13:4 Haõy laáy caùi ñai ngöôi ñaõ mua ñöông thaét treân löng ngöôi; chôø daäy, ñi ñeán bôø soâng Ô-phô-raùt, vaø giaáu noù trong keõ vaàng ñoù taïi ñoù.

13:5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

13:5 Toâi beøn ñi giaáu noù nôi bôø soâng Ô-phô-raùt, nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën.

13:6 And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded you to hide there.

13:6 Sau ñoù nhieàu ngaøy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Haõy chôø daäy, ñi ñeán bôø soâng Ô-phô-raùt, laáy caùi ñai ta ñaõ khieán ngöôi giaáu taïi ñoù.

13:7 Then I went to Euphrates, and dug, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was ruined, it was profitable for nothing.

13:7 Toâi ñi ñeán soâng Ô-phô-raùt; ñaøo vaø röùt caùi ñai ra töø choã toâi ñaõ giaáu tröôùc kia. Nhöng caùi ñai hö heát, khoâng duøng chi ñöôïc nöõa.

13:8 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

13:8 Ñoaïn, lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng:

13:9 Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

13:9 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nöôùc: Ta seõ laøm hö söï kieâu ngaïo cuûa Giu-ña, vaø söï kieâu ngaïo lôùn cuûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñoàng moät theå naày.

13:10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

13:10 Daân aùc naày chaúng khöùng nghe lôøi ta, böôùc theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng mình, theo caùc thaàn khaùc maø haàu vieäc vaø thôø laïy, thì seõ trôû neân nhö caùi ñai naày khoâng coøn duøng ñöôïc vieäc gì.

13:11 For as the girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

13:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Nhö caùi ñai dính vaøo löng ngöôøi, thì ta khieán caû nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân vaø caû nhaø Giu-ña dính vaøo ta cuõng vaäy, ñaëng chuùng noù laøm daân ta, laøm danh voïng, ca tuïng, vinh quang ta; nhöng chuùng noù chaúng khöùng nghe.

13:12 Therefore you shall speak unto them this word; Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?

13:12 Ngöôi khaù baûo chuùng noù lôøi naày: Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân coù phaùn raèng: Heã laø bình thì seõ ñöôïc ñaày röôïu. Chuùng seõ noùi cuøng ngöôi raèng: Chuùng toâi haù chaúng bieát caùc binh ñeàu seõ ñaày röôïu sao?

13:13 Then shall you say unto them, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

13:13 Ngöôi khaù laïi baûo raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta seõ khieán heát thaûy daân cö ñaát naày, caùc vua ngoài treân ngai Ña-vít, caùc thaày teá leã, caùc keû tieân tri, vaø heát thaûy daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeàu say söa.

13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

13:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta seõ laøm cho ngöôøi naày vôùi keû khaùc, cha vôùi con, chaïm nhau; ta seõ chaúng aùy naùy, chaúng deø neå, chaúng thöông xoùt, chaúng chi ngaên ta huûy dieät chuùng noù.

13:15 Hear all of you, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken.

13:15 Haõy nghe vaø laéng tai, ñöøng kieâu ngaïo, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn.

13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while all of you look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

13:16 Haõy daâng vinh quang cho Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caùc ngöôi, tröôùc khi Ngaøi chöa khieán söï toái taêm ñeán, tröôùc khi chôn caùc ngöôi chöa vaáp treân nhöõng hoøn nuùi muø mòt. Baáy giôø caùc ngöôi ñôïi aùnh saùng, nhöng Ngaøi seõ ñoåi noù ra boùng söï cheát, hoùa neân boùng toái môø.

13:17 But if all of you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.

13:17 Neáu caùc ngöôi chaúng nghe, linh hoàn ta seõ khoùc thaàm veà söï kieâu ngaïo caùc ngöôi. Thaät, maét ta seõ khoùc nhieàu, gioït luïy tuoân rôi, vì baày cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va bò baét ñi.

13:18 Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.

13:18 Haõy taâu cuøng vua vaø thaùi haäu raèng: Xin haõy haï mình, maø ngoài döôùi ñaát; vì maõo trieàu thieân vinh hieån treân ñaàu ñaõ rôùt xuoáng roài.

13:19 The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.

13:19 Caùc thaønh phöông nam ñeàu ñoùng laïi, chaúng ai môû ra. Giu-ña bò baét ñem ñi, caû hoï ñeàu bò baét ñem ñi.

13:20 Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

13:20 haõy ngöôùc maét leân; xem nhöõng keû ñeán töø phöông baéc. Chôù naøo baày chieân ñeïp ñeõ ñaõ ñöôïc ban cho ngöôi ôû ñaâu?

13:21 What will you say when he shall punish you? for you have taught them to be captains, and as chief over you: shall not sorrows take you, as a woman in travail?

13:21 Khi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laäp nhöõng ngöôøi maø ngöôi ñaõ daïy laøm baïn höõu leân laøm ñaàu ngöôi, thì ngöôi seõ noùi laøm sao? Söï buoàn raàu haù chaúng baét laáy ngöôi nhö baét laáy ñôøn baø sanh ñeû?

13:22 And if you say in yours heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of yours iniquity are your skirts discovered, and your heels made bare.

13:22 Vaø neáu ngöôi töï noùi trong loøng raèng: Côù sao ñieàu naày xaûy ñeán cho ta? Aáy laø vì toäi aùc ngöôi lôùn laém, neân vaït aùo ngöôi bò toác leân, vaø goùt chôn ngöôi bò giaäp.

13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may all of you also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

13:23 Ngöôøi EÂ-thi-oâ-bi coù theå ñoåi ñöôïc da mình, hay laø con beo ñoåi ñöôïc vaèn noù chaêng? Neáu ñöôïc thì caùc ngöôi laø keû ñaõ laøm döõ quen roài, seõ laøm laønh ñöôïc.

13:24 Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.

13:24 Vaäy ta seõ laøm cho caùc ngöôi tan laïc nhö rôm raùc bò gioù nôi ñoàng vaéng ñuøa ñi.

13:25 This is your lot, the portion of your measures from me, says the LORD; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

13:25 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ñoù laø phaàn ngöôi, phaàn ta löôøng cho ngöôi, vì ngöôi ñaõ queân ta vaø troâng caäy söï giaû doái.

13:26 Therefore will I discover your skirts upon your face, that your shame may appear.

13:26 Ta cuõng seõ toác vaït aùo ngöôi leân treân maët ngöôi, thì söï xaáu hoå ngöôi seõ baøy toû.

13:27 I have seen yours adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and yours abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto you, O Jerusalem! will you not be made clean? when shall it once be?

13:27 Nhöõng söï gôùm ghieác, töùc laø söï daâm duïc, vaø tieáng hí ngöôi, toäi aùc taø daâm ngöôi treân caùc goø ñoàng ruoäng, thì ta ñaõ thaáy heát. Hôõi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, khieán thay cho ngöôi! Ngöôi chaúng khöùng laøm saïch mình cho ñeán chöøng naøo?

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

14:1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.

14:1 Coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Gieâ-reâ-mi veà söï haïn haùn.

14:2 Judah mourns, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

14:2 Giu-ña ñöông saàu thaûm, cöûa thaønh suy baïi, chuùng noù ñeàu maëc aùo ñen ngoài treân ñaát; vaø tieáng keâu cuûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vang leân.

14:3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

14:3 Nhöõng ngöôøi sang sai keû heøn ñi tìm nöôùc; ñi ñeán hoà vaø tìm khoâng ñöôïc, xaùch bình khoâng maø trôû veà; theïn thuoàng xaáu hoå, vaø che ñaàu laïi.

14:4 Because the ground is cracked, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

14:4 Vì côù ñaát ñeàu neû heát, bôûi khoâng coù möa xuoáng trong xöù, ngöôøi caàm caøy xaáu hoå vaø truøm ñaàu laïi.

14:5 Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.

14:5 Nai caùi ñeû con ra trong ñoàng vaø boû ñi, vì khoâng coù coû.

14:6 And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

14:6 Nhöõng löøa röøng ñöùng treân caùc goø troïi, hít hôi nhö choù ñoàng, vì khoâng coû neân maét loøa.

14:7 O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do you it for your name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you.

14:7 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, daàu toäi aùc chuùng toâi laøm chöùng nghòch cuøng chuùng toâi, xin Ngaøi vì danh mình maø laøm! Söï boäi nghòch cuûa chuùng toâi nhieàu laém; chuùng toâi ñaõ phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng Ngaøi.

14:8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why should you be as a stranger in the land, and as a travelling man that turns aside to tarry for a night?

14:8 Ngaøi laø söï troâng caäy cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, laø Ñaáng cöùu trong khi hoaïn naïn, sao Ngaøi nhö moät ngöôøi truù nguï ôû trong ñaát, nhö ngöôøi boä haønh caêng traïi nguû ñaäu moät ñeâm?

14:9 Why should you be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet you, O LORD, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; leave us not.

14:9 Sao Ngaøi nhö ngöôøi thaát kinh, nhö ngöôøi maïnh daïn chaúng coù theå giaûi cöùu? Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! daàu vaäy, Ngaøi vaãn ôû giöõa chuùng toâi! Chuùng toâi ñöôïc xöng baèng danh Ngaøi, xin ñöøng lìa boû chuùng toâi!

14:10 Thus says the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

14:10 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vôùi daân naày nhö vaày: Chuùng noù öa ñi doâng daøi, chaúng ngaên caám chôn mình, neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chaúng nhaän laáy chuùng noù. Baây giôø Ngaøi nhôù ñeán söï hung aùc chuùng noù vaø thaêm phaït toäi loãi.

14:11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

14:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Chôù caàu söï laønh cho daân naày.

14:12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

14:12 Khi chuùng noù kieâng aên, ta seõ chaúng nghe lôøi khaán nguyeän cuûa chuùng noù; khi chuùng noù daâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø cuûa leã chay, ta chaúng nhaäm ñaâu; nhöng ta seõ dieät chuùng noù bôûi göôm dao, ñoùi keùm, vaø oân dòch.

14:13 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, All of you shall not see the sword, neither shall all of you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

14:13 Toâi beøn thöa raèng: Oâi! hôõi Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va, naày caùc tieân tri baûo hoï raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ khoâng thaáy göôm dao, seõ chaúng coù ñoùi keùm; nhöng ta seõ ban söï bình an baàn laâu cho caùc ngöôi ôû trong mieàn naày.

14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their heart.

14:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Aáy laø nhöõng lôøi noùi doái, maø caùc tieân tri ñoù nhôn danh ta truyeàn ra. Ta chaúng töøng sai hoï ñi, chaúng töøng truyeàn lònh vaø chaúng töøng phaùn cuøng hoï. Hoï noùi tieân tri ñoù laø theo nhöõng söï hieän thaáy giaû doái, söï boùi khoa, söï hö khoâng, vaø söï löøa gaït bôûi loøng rieâng mình!

14:15 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

14:15 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn veà nhöõng keû tieân tri chaúng bôûi ta sai ñeán, maø noùi tieân tri nhôn danh ta, raèng: Trong ñaát naày seõ chaúng coù göôm dao vaø ñoùi keùm! Chính caùc tieân tri ñoù seõ bò dieät bôûi göôm dao vaø ñoùi keùm.

14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

14:16 Nhöõng keû maø hoï truyeàn lôøi tieân tri aáy cho, seõ cuøng vôï, con trai, con gaùi mình vì göôm dao ñoùi keùm bò neùm ngoaøi ñöôøng phoá Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, chaúng coù ai choân caát, vì ta seõ khieán ñieàu aùc chuùng noù ñaõ laøm laïi ñoå veà mình!

14:17 Therefore you shall say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

14:17 Ngöôi khaù baûo cho chuùng noù lôøi naày: Maét ta rôi luïy ñeâm ngaøy chaúng thoâi; vì gaùi ñoàng trinh cuûa daân ta bò toài taøn, bò thöông raát laø ñau ñôùn.

14:18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

14:18 Neáu ta ra nôi ñoàng ruoäng, thì thaáy nhöõng ngöôøi bò göôm ñaâm; neáu ta vaøo trong thaønh, thì thaáy nhöõng keû ñau oám vì söï ñoùi keùm. Chính caùc ñaáng tieân tri vaø caùc thaày teá leã ñi daïo trong ñaát mình, cuõng khoâng coù söï hieåu bieát.

14:19 Have you utterly rejected Judah? has your soul loathed Zion? why have you smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

14:19 Vaäy thì Ngaøi ñaõ boû heát Giu-ña sao? Loøng Ngaøi ñaõ gôùm gheùt Si-oân sao? Laøm sao Ngaøi ñaõ ñaùnh chuùng toâi, khoâng phöông chöõa laønh? Ñöông ñôïi söï bình an maø chaúng coù söï laønh; ñöông troâng kyø laønh bònh, maø gaëp söï kinh haõi.

14:20 We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against you.

14:20 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, chuùng toâi nhìn bieát ñieàu aùc chuùng toâi vaø toäi loãi cuûa toå phuï chuùng toâi, vì chuùng toâi ñeàu phaïm toäi nghòch cuøng Ngaøi.

14:21 Do not detest us, for your name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, break not your covenant with us.

15:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

15:2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

15:2 Seõ xaûy ra khi chuùng noù khoûi ngöôi raèng: Chuùng toâi seõ ñi ñaâu? thì haõy baûo chuùng noù raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ai ñaõ ñöôïc ñònh cho cheát, haõy chòu cheát; ai ñaõ ñöôïc ñònh cho phaûi göôm dao, haõy chòu göôm dao; ai ñaõ ñöôïc ñònh cho phaûi ñoùi keùm, haõy chòu ñoùi keùm; ai ñaõ ñöôïc ñònh cho söï phu tuø, haõy chòu phu tuø.

15:3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, says the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

15:3 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta seõ giaùng cho chuùng noù boán thöù tai vaï; göôm ñeå gieát, choù ñeå xeù, chim trôøi vaø loaøi thuù treân ñaát ñeå nuoát vaø dieät ñi.

15:4 And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

15:4 Vì côù Ma-na-se, con trai EÂ-xeâ-chia, vua Giu-ña, vaø vì nhöõng söï noù ñaõ laøm trong thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ta seõ khieán chuùng noù bò neùm ñi neùm laïi trong caùc nöôùc thieân haï.

15:5 For who shall have pity upon you, O Jerusalem? or who shall lament for you? or who shall go aside to ask how you do?

15:5 Hôõi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ai seõ thöông xoùt ngöôi ñöôïc sao? ai seõ than tieác? ai seõ xaây laïi maø hoûi thaêm ngöôi?

15:6 You have forsaken me, says the LORD, you are gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with repenting.

15:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ngöôi ñaõ boû ta, ñaõ xaây laïi ñaèng sau, neân ta ñaõ giang tay treân ngöôi, ñeå dieät ngöôi. Ta ñaõ chaùn söï ñoåi yù.

15:7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways.

15:7 Ta ñaõ laáy nia saûy chuùng noù nôi cöûa caùc thaønh ñaát naày. Ta ñaõ caát maát con caùi chuùng noù vaø dieät daân ta, maø chuùng noù cuõng chaúng trôû laïi khoûi ñöôøng loái mình.

15:8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

15:8 Nhöõng ñôøn baø goùa noù theâm leân nhieàu hôn caùt bieån. Ta ñaõ khieán keû thuø huûy dieät giöõa ban ngaøy, nghòch cuøng meï keû trai treû. Ta ñaõ khieán söï saàu naõo kinh haõi laém treân noù thình lình.

15:9 She that has borne seven languishes: she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she has been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.

15:9 Ñôøn baø ñaõ sanh baûy con, thaáy mình moøn moûi, haàu truùt linh hoàn; khi coøn ban ngaøy, maët trôøi noù ñaõ laën; noù phaûi sæ nhuïc vaø hoå theïn; coøn nhöõng con caùi soùt laïi, thì ta seõ phoù cho göôm cuûa keû nghòch thuø chuùng noù, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

15:10 Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on interest, nor men have lent to me on interest; yet every one of them does curse me.

15:10 Hôõi meï toâi ôi, khoán naïn cho toâi! Meï ñaõ sanh ra toâi laøm ngöôøi maéc phaûi söï tranh ñua caõi laãy trong caû ñaát? Toâi voán khoâng cho ai vay möôïn, cuõng chaúng vay möôïn ai; daàu vaäy, moïi ngöôøi nguyeàn ruûa toâi.

15:11 The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with your remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to plead you well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

15:11 Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Thaät ta seõ boå söùc cho ngöôi ñöôïc phöôùc. Trong khi gaëp tai vaï hoaïn naïn, thaät ta seõ khieán keû thuø nghòch ñeán caàu xin ngöôi.

15:12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

15:12 Saét vaø ñoàng cuûa phöông baéc, ngöôøi ta coù theå beû gaõy ñöôïc sao?

15:13 Your substance and your treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.

15:13 Vì côù moïi toäi loãi caùc ngöôi, trong caû ñòa phaän mình, ta seõ phoù cuûa caûi chaâu baùu caùc ngöôi cho söï cöôùp boùc, chaúng traû giaù laïi.

15:14 And I will make you to pass with yours enemies into a land which you know not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

15:14 Ta seõ laøm cho nhöõng ñoà aáy ñi vôùi keû thuø ngöôi qua moät ñaát maø ngöôi khoâng bieát, vì löûa giaän cuûa ta ñaõ chaùy leân, ñaëng thieâu huûy caùc ngöôi.

15:15 O LORD, you know: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered rebuke.

15:15 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! Ngaøi hieåu bieát. Xin haõy nhôù ñeán toâi, thaêm vieáng toâi, vaø traû thuø nhöõng keû baét bôù cho toâi. Xin chôù caát toâi ñi trong söï nhòn nhuïc Ngaøi; xin bieát cho raèng toâi vì Ngaøi chòu nhuoác nha!

15:16 Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by your name, O LORD God of hosts.

15:16 Toâi vöøa nghe nhöõng lôøi Ngaøi, thì ñaõ aên laáy roài; lôøi Ngaøi laø söï vui möøng hôùn hôû cuûa loøng toâi vaäy. Hôõi Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaïn quaân, vì toâi ñöôïc xöng baèng danh Ngaøi!

15:17 I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand: for you have filled me with indignation.

15:17 Toâi chaúng ngoài trong ñaùm hoäi keû vui chôi möøng rôõ; nhöng toâi ngoài moät mình vì tay Ngaøi; vì Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho toâi ñaày söï giaän.

15:18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? will you be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

15:18 Côù sao söï ñau ñôùn cuûa toâi cöù coøn hoaøi? Côù sao veát thöông cuûa toâi khoâng chöõa ñöôïc maø noù khoâng chòu khoûi? Ngaøi ñoái vôùi toâi haèn nhö caùi khe giaû doái, caùi suoát taét maïch hay sao?

15:19 Therefore thus says the LORD, If you return, then will I bring you again, and you shall stand before me: and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: let them return unto you; but return not you unto them.

15:19 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Neáu ngöôi trôû laïi, thì ta seõ laïi ñem ngöôi ñöùng tröôùc maët ta; neáu ngöôi laøm cho söï quí lìa khoûi söï heøn, thì ngöôi seõ nhö mieäng ta, chuùng noù seõ trôû veà cuøng ngöôi; nhöng ngöôi chaúng trôû veà cuøng chuùng noù.

15:20 And I will make you unto this people a fenced brazen wall: and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD.

15:20 Ta seõ khieán ngöôi laøm töôøng ñoàng vöõng beàn cho daân naày, hoï seõ ñaùnh vôùi ngöôi, nhöng khoâng thaéng ngöôi ñöôïc, vì ta ôû cuøng ngöôi ñaëng cöùu ngöôi vaø giaûi thoaùt ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

15:21 And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.

15:21 Ta seõ ruùt ngöôi ra khoûi tay keû aùc, seõ chuoäc ngöôi khoûi tay keû baïo taøn.

16:1 The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,

16:1 Lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi nhö vaày:

16:2 You shall not take you a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters in this place.

16:2 Ngöôi chôù cöôùi vôï, chôù coù con trai con gaùi trong choán naày.

16:3 For thus says the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that brings forth them in this land;

16:3 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn veà nhöõng con trai con gaùi seõ sanh taïi ñaây, vaø veà nhöõng cha meï ñaõ sanh ñeû chuùng noù trong ñaát naày nhö vaày:

16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

16:4 Chuùng noù seõ bò dòch leä maø cheát; chaúng ai khoùc cuõng chaúng ai choân; xaùc chuùng noù coøn laïi nhö phaân treân ñaát. Chuùng noù seõ bò dieät bôûi göôm dao vaø ñoùi keùm; thaây chuùng noù seõ laøm ñoà aên cho chim trôøi vaø loaøi thuù treân ñaát.

16:5 For thus says the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor lament for them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, says the LORD, even loving kindness and mercies.

16:5 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Chôù vaøo nhaø coù tang, chôù ñi ñieáu, vaø chôù than khoùc chuùng noù; vì ta ñaõ ruùt söï bình an ôn hueä, thöông xoùt cuûa ta ra khoûi daân naày, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.

16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

16:6 Ngöôøi lôùn keû nhoû ñeàu seõ cheát trong ñaát naày; chaúng ñöôïc choân, chaúng ai khoùc chuùng noù; ngöôøi ta khoâng töï caét thòt vaø hôùt toùc vì chuùng noù.

16:7 Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

16:7 Khoâng ai vì keû ôû tang beû baùnh, ñeå yeân uûi chuùng noù vì keû cheát; chaúng ai vì söï cheát cuûa cha hoaëc meï maø trao cheùn chia buoàn.

16:8 You shall not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

16:8 Cuõng ñöøng vaøo trong phoøng tieäc, ñaëng ngoài aên uoáng vôùi chuùng noù.

16:9 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of delight, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.

16:9 Vì, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, döôùi maét caùc ngöôi, ñöông ñôøi caùc ngöôi, ta seõ laøm cho trong xöù naày heát tieáng vui möøng hæ haï, heát tieáng cuûa chaøng reå vaø naøng daâu.

16:10 And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

16:10 Khi ngöôi ñem lôøi naày truyeàn cho daân, chuùng noù chaéc hoûi ngöôi raèng: Sao Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va rao nhöõng tai naïn naày cho chuùng toâi? hoaëc chuùng toâi coù toäi gì? hoaëc chuùng toâi ñaõ phaïm toäi gì nghòch cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi?

16:11 Then shall you say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

16:11 Ngöôi beøn khaù ñaùp raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Aáy laø taïi toå phuï caùc ngöôi ñaõ boû ta, maø theo caùc thaàn khaùc, ñaëng haàu vieäc vaø quì laïy caùc thaàn aáy, maø ñaõ lìa boû ta, vaø khoâng giöõ luaät phaùp ta.

16:12 And all of you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, all of you walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

16:12 Coøn caùc ngöôi laïi laøm xaáu hôn toå phuï mình; vì, naày, caùc ngöôi ai naày ñeàu theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng aùc mình, chaúng lo nghe ta.

16:13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that all of you know not, neither all of you nor your fathers; and there shall all of you serve other gods day and night; where I will not show you favour.

16:13 Cho neân ta seõ neùm caùc ngöôi ra khoûi ñaát naày, vaøo trong moät xöù maø caùc ngöôi vaø toå phuï caùc ngöôi cuõng chöa töøng bieát, taïi ñoù caùc ngöôi seõ haàu vieäc caùc thaàn khaùc ñeâm ngaøy; vì ta seõ khoâng ban ôn cho caùc ngöôi.

16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD lives, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

16:14 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Naày, ngaøy ñeán, laø khi ngöôøi ta seõ chaúng noùi raèng: Thaät nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, laø Ñaáng ñaõ ñem con caùi Y-sô-ra-eân leân khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

16:15 But, The LORD lives, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands where he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

16:15 Nhöng noùi raèng: Thaät nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng-soáng, laø Ñaáng ñaõ ñem con caùi Y-sô-ra-eân leân töø phöông baéc, vaø töø caùc nöôùc maø hoï ñaõ bò ñuoåi ñeán. Ta seõ laïi daãn chuùng noù veà trong ñaát maø ta ñaõ ban cho toå phuï chuùng noù.

16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

16:16 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Naày, ta seõ sai tìm nhieàu keû ñaùnh caù, hoï seõ baét chuùng noù; sau laïi, ta seõ sai tìm nhieàu thôï saên, hoï seõ saên chuùng noù töø moïi nuùi, moïi goø, vaø caùc keû vaàng ñaù.

16:17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

16:17 Vì maét ta chaêm chæ moïi ñöôøng loái chuùng noù, khoâng giaáu khoûi tröôùc maët ta ñöôïc, toäi loãi chuùng noù khoâng khuaát khoûi maét ta ñaâu.

16:18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things.

16:18 Tröôùc heát ta seõ baùo söï gian aùc vaø toäi loãi chuùng noù gaáp hai, vì chuùng noù ñaõ laøm oâ ueá ñaát ta bôûi nhöõng söï gôùm ghieác laøm ñaày daãy saûn nghieäp ta.

16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

16:19 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ngaøi laø söùc maïnh toâi, ñoàn luõy toâi, vaø laø nôi aån naùu cuûa toâi trong ngaøy khoán naïn! Caùc nöôùc seõ töø nôi ñaàu cuøng ñaát maø ñeán cuøng Ngaøi, vaø noùi raèng: Toå phuï chuùng toâi chæ höôûng nhöõng lôøi giaû doái, laø söï hö khoâng, vaø vaäy thì chaúng coù ích gì.

16:20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?

16:20 Coù leõ naøo ngöôøi ta töï laøm cho mình nhöõng thaàn khoâng phaûi laø thaàn ñöôïc sao?

16:21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.

16:21 Vaäy neân, naày, ta seõ cho chuùng noù bieát tay ta vaø quyeàn naêng ta; vaø chuùng noù seõ bieát danh ta laø Gieâ-hoâ-va.

17:1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

17:3 O my mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures to the spoil, and your high places for sin, throughout all your borders.

17:3 Hôõi hoøn nuùi ta trong ñoàng, ta seõ phoù cuûa caûi, chaâu baùu vaø caùc nôi cao ngöôi laøm cuûa cöôùp; vì côù toäi loãi ngöôi ñaõ phaïm treân khaép bôø coõi mình.

17:4 And you, even yourself, shall discontinue from yours heritage that I gave you; and I will cause you to serve yours enemies in the land which you know not: for all of you have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

17:5 Thus says the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD.

17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

17:6 Noù seõ nhö thaïch thaûo trong sa maïc, khoâng thaáy phöôùc ñeán, nhöng ôû trong nôi ñoàng vaéng khoâ khan, treân ñaát maëm khoâng daân ôû.

17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

17:8 Noù cuõng nhö caây troàng nôi bôø suoái, ñaâm reã theo doøng nöôùc chaûy; ngoä khi trôøi naéng, chaúng heà sôï haõi, maø laù cöù xanh töôi. Gaëp naêm haïn haùn cuõng chaúng lo gì, maø cöù ra traùi khoâng döùt.

17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

17:9 Loøng ngöôøi ta laø doái traù hôn moïi vaät, vaø raát laø xaáu xa: ai coù theå bieát ñöôïc?

17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

17:10 Ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, doø xeùt trong trí, thöû nghieäm trong loøng, baùo cho moãi ngöôøi tuøy ñöôøng hoï ñi, tuøy keát quaû cuûa vieäc hoï laøm.

17:11 As the partridge sits on eggs, and hatches them not; so he that gets riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

17:11 Keû naøo ñöôïc giaøu coù chaúng theo söï coâng bình, cuõng nhö chim ña ña aáp tröùng maø mình chaúng ñeû ra; ñeán nöûa ñôøi ngöôøi, noù phaûi maát heát, cuoái cuøng noù ra laø ngu daïi.

17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

17:13 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, laø söï troâng caäy cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, nhöõng keû naøo boû Ngaøi ñeàu seõ bò xaáu hoå! Nhöõng keû lìa khoûi ta seõ bò ghi treân ñaát, vì hoï ñaõ boû suoái nöôùc soáng, töùc laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.

17:14 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! xin Ngaøi chöõa toâi thì toâi seõ ñöôïc laønh; xin Ngaøi cöùu toâi thì toâi seõ ñöôïc roãi: vì Ngaøi laø Ñaáng maø toâi ngôïi khen.

17:15 Naày laø lôøi ngöôøi ta baûo toâi: Lôøi phaùn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû ñaâu? Raøy haõy öùng nghieäm!

17:16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow you: neither have I desired the woeful day; you know: that which came out of my lips was right before you.

17:16 Coøn toâi, toâi chaúng voäi vaøng boû chöùc chaên daân maø khoâng theo Ngaøi. Toâi cuõng khoâng töï yù muoán mình troâng ñöôïc ngaøy khoán naïn, Ngaøi vaãn bieát vaäy. Lôøi mieäng toâi noùi ra ñieàu ôû tröôùc maët Ngaøi.

17:17 Be not a terror unto me: you are my hope in the day of evil.

17:17 Ngaøi laø nôi aån naùu cuûa toâi trong ngaøy hoaïn naïn, xin chôù laøm côù cho toâi kinh khieáp!

17:18 Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

17:18 Xin Ngaøi laøm cho nhöõng keû baét bôù toâi bò xaáu hoå, maø chính toâi ñöøng bò xaáu hoå; cho hoï kinh hoaøng! Xin cho ngaøy hoaïn naïn laâm treân hoï, vaø huûy hoaïi gaáp hai!

17:19 Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

17:19 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng: Haõy ñi, ñöùng taïi cöûa cuûa con caùi daân söï, töùc laø cöûa caùc vua Giu-ña thöôøng ra vaøo, vaø taïi heát thaûy caùc cöûa thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

17:20 And say unto them, Hear all of you the word of the LORD, all of you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

17:20 Ngöôi khaù noùi raèng: Hôõi caùc vua nöôùc Giu-ña, cuøng caû daân Giu-ña, vaø heát thaûy daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, laø keû do caùc cöûa naày qua laïi, haõy nghe lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

17:21 Thus says the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;

17:21 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Caùc ngöôi haõy giöõ, chôù khieâng gaùnh vaøo cöûa thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

17:22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do all of you any work, but hallow all of you the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

17:22 Trong ngaøy Sa-baùt, ñöøng khieâng gaùnh ra khoûi nhaø caùc ngöôi, cuõng ñöøng ra khoûi nhaø caùc ngöôi, cuõng ñöøng laøm vieäc chi heát; nhöng haõy bieät rieâng ngaøy Sa-baùt ra thaùnh, nhö ta ñaõ phaùn daën toå phuï caùc ngöôi.

17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

17:23 Nhöng maø, hoï chaúng nghe, chaúng laéng tai; cöùng coå ñeå chaúng nghe ta vaø chaúng chòu daïy.

17:24 And it shall come to pass, if all of you diligently hearken unto me, says the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;

17:24 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Neáu caùc ngöôi chaêm chæ nghe ta, neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng khieâng gaùnh vaøo cöûa thaønh aáy trong ngaøy sa-baùt, neáu caùc ngöôi bieät rieâng ngaøy sa-baùt ra thaùnh vaø khoâng laøm vieäc gì trong ngaøy ñoù,

17:25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

17:25 thì caùc vua vaø caùc quan tröôûng ngoài treân ngai Ña-vít seõ côõi xe côõi ngöïa, cuøng vôùi caùc quan tröôûng ngöôøi Giu-ña, vaø daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem do cöû thaønh aáy maø vaøo; vaø thaønh aáy seõ coøn ñôøi ñôøi.

17:26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and food offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.

17:26 Ngöôøi ta seõ ñeán töø caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña vaø töø caùc nôi chung quanh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, töø xöù Beân-gia-min, töø ñaát ñoàng baèng, ñaát nuùi, vaø phöông Nam, ñaëng ñem cuûa leã thieâu vaø caùc cuûa leã, cuûa leã chay cuøng nhuõ höông, vaø ñem cuûa leã thuø aân ñeán nhaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

17:27 But if all of you will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

17:27 Nhöng neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng nghe ta ñeå bieät ngaøy sa-baùt ra thaùnh, maø trong ngaøy sa-baùt khieâng gaùnh vaø vaøo cöûa thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, thì ta seõ ñaët löûa nôi cöûa thaønh, löûa aáy seõ thieâu huûy cung ñieän cuûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, khoâng bao giôø taét.

 Gie re mi - Jeremiah

18:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

18:1 Lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cho Gieâ-reâ-mi nhö vaày:

18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.

18:2 Ngöôi khaù chôø daäy, xuoáng trong nhaø thôï goám kia, taïi ñoù ta seõ cho ngöôi nghe lôøi ta.

18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

18:3 Toâi beøn xuoáng trong nhaø thôï goám, naày, noù ñöông naén ñoà treân caùi baøn xaây.

18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was ruined in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

18:4 Caùi bình ñaõ naén ra baèng ñaát seùt bò hö trong tay ngöôøi thôï goám, thì noù laáy maø naén caùi bình khaùc, tuøy yù mình muoán laøm.

18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18:5 Baáy giôø, coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng toâi raèng:

18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? says the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are all of you in mine hand, O house of Israel.

18:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, ta ñoái vôùi caùc ngöôi haù chaúng laøm ñöôïc nhö ngöôøi thôï goám hay sao? Hôõi nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân, ñaát seùt ôû trong tay thôï goám theå naøo, thì caùc ngöôi cuõng ôû trong tay ta theå aáy.

18:7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

18:7 Trong luùc naøo ta seõ noùi veà moät daân moät nöôùc kia ñaëng nhoå ñi, huûy ñi, dieät ñi;

18:8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

18:8 neáu nöôùc maø ta noùi ñoù xaây boû ñieàu aùc mình, thì ta seõ ñoåi yù ta ñaõ toan giaùng tai hoïa cho noù.

18:9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

18:9 Cuõng coù luùc naøo ta seõ noùi veà moät daân moät nöôùc kia ñaëng döïng noù, troàng noù;

18:10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

18:10 neáu nöôùc aáy laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maét ta vaø khoâng nghe tieáng ta, thì ta seõ ñoåi yù ta ñaõ ñònh xuoáng phöôùc cho noù.

18:11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return all of you now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

18:11 Vaäy neân baáy giôø, haõy noùi cuõng ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø daân cö Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, baûo hoï raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Naày, ta ñöông gaây tai vaï ñaùnh caùc ngöôi, ñaët möu keá haïi caùc ngöôi. Ai naày khaù daïy laïi khoûi ñöôøng aùc mình, chöõa ñöôøng loái mình vaø coâng vieäc mình!

18:12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

18:12 Nhöng hoï noùi raèng: Kheùo maát coâng! Chuùng ta cöù theo möu mình; ai naáy seõ theo söï cöùng coûi cuûa loøng xaáu mình.

18:13 Therefore thus says the LORD; Ask all of you now among the heathen, who has heard such things: the virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

18:13 Vaäy neân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy hoûi trong caùc nöôùc coù ai ñaõ heà nghe söï nhö vaäy khoâng? Gaùi ñoàng trinh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ laøm vieäc ñaùng gôùm.

18:14 Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which comes from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?

18:14 Coù ai thaáy tuyeát cuûa Li-ban lìa boû vaàn ñaù nôi ñoàng baèng chaêng? Hay laø coù ai thaáy nöôùc soâng maùt töø xa chaûy ñeán nôi maø caïn taét ñi chaêng?

18:15 Because my people has forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a road not properly built;

18:15 Theá maø daân ta ñaõ queân ta; ñoát höông cho thaàn töôïng giaû doái. Vì vaäy, noù ñaõ vaáp ngaõ trong ñöôøng mình, trong neûo cuõ, ñaëng ñi trong ñöôøng chöa doïn ñaép.

18:16 To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passes thereby shall be astonished, and shake his head.

18:16 Neân ñaát noù trôû neân gôû laï, laøm troø cöôøi maõi maõi; keû qua ngöôøi laïi ñeàu söõng sôø vaø laéc ñaàu.

18:17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

18:17 Ta seõ laøm cho noù toaøn löïc tröôùc maët keû thuø, nhö bôûi traän gioù ñoâng; ta xaây löng laïi ñaëng noù, chaúng xaây maët laïi trong ngaøy noù bò tai naïn.

18:18 Then said they, Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

18:18 Chuùng noù beøn noùi raèng: Haõy ñeán, ñoàng laäp möu nghòch cuøng Gieâ-reâ-mi; vì thaày teá leã chaúng thieáu gì luaät phaùp, ngöôøi khoân ngoan chaúng thieáu gì söï khoân ngoan, ñaáng tieân tri chaúng thieáu gì lôøi tieân tri. Chuùng ta haõy ñeán, laáy mieäng luôõi mình maø coâng kích noù, ñöøng ñeå tai vaøo lôøi noù noùi chuùt naøo.

18:19 Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

18:19 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin vì toâi gheù tai nghe nhöõng lôøi cuûa keû caõi laãy vôùi toâi!

18:20 Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them, and to turn away your wrath from them.

18:20 Ngöôøi ta coù leõ naøo laáy aùc baùo thieän sao? vì hoï ñaõ ñaøo haàm ñaëng haïi linh hoàn toâi. Xin Ngaøi nhôù raèng toâi töøng ñöùng tröôùc maët Ngaøi ñaëng vì hoï caàu phöôùc, laøm cho côn giaän Ngaøi xaây khoûi hoï.

18:21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

18:21 Vaäy neân, xin Ngaøi phoù con caùi hoï cho söï ñoùi keùm, vaø chính mình hoï cho quyeàn göôm dao. Nguyeàn cho vôï hoï maát con vaø trôû neân goùa buïa, cho choàng bò cheát dòch, cho nhöõng ngöôøi trai traùng bò göôm ñaùnh giöõa traän maïc.

18:22 Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you shall bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have dug a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

18:23 Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from your sight, but let them be overthrown before you; deal thus with them in the time of yours anger.

18:23 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, chính Ngaøi bieát caû möu chöôùc hoï nghòch cuøng toâi ñeå gieát toâi. Xin ñöøng tha söï gian aùc hoï, ñöøng xoùa toäi loãi hoï khoûi maét Ngaøi; nhöng cho hoï vaáp ngaõ tröôùc maët Ngaøi; xin Ngaøi phaït hoï trong ngaøy noåi giaän cuûa Ngaøi!
