2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

1:1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

1:1 Sa-loâ-moân, con trai Ña-vít, ñöôïc vöõng beàn trong nöôùc mình; Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôøi ôû cuøng ngöôøi, vaø laøm cho ngöôøi raát thaïnh vöôïng.

1:2 Then Solomon spoke unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

1:2 Sa-loâ-moân truyeàn baûo caû Y-sô-ra-eân, caùc quan töôùng ngaøn ngöôøi vaø traêm ngöôøi, caùc quan xeùt vaø heát thaûy caùc tröôûng trong Y-sô-ra-eân, laø caùc tröôûng toäc, phaûi ñeán;

1:3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

1:3 ñoaïn, Sa-loâ-moân vaø caû hoäi chuùng ñeàu ñi leân nôi cao taïi Ga-ba-oân; vì ôû ñoù coù hoäi maïc cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, maø Moâi-se, toâi tôù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñaõ laøm nôi ñoàng vaéng

1:4 But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

1:4 (nhöng Ña-vít ñaõ röôùc hoøm Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi töø Ki-ri-aùt-Gieâ -a-rim leân ñeán nôi ngöôøi ñaõ doïn saün cho hoøm; vì ngöôøi ñaõ döïng cho hoøm aáy moät caùi traïi taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem).

1:5 Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

1:5 Vaû, ôû tröôùc ñeàn taïm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù baøn thôø ñoàng maø Beát-sa-leâ-eân, con trai U-ri, chaùu Hu-rô, ñaõ laøm; Sa-loâ-moân vaø hoäi chuùng ñeàu ñeán nôi ñoù.

1:6 And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

1:6 Sa-loâ-moân ñaët ôû tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va taïi hoäi maïc, vaø daâng moät ngaøn cuûa leã thieâu treân baøn thôø aáy.

1:7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give you.

1:7 Chaùnh ñeâm aáy, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi hieän ñeán cuøng Sa-loâ-moân, maø phaùn raèng: Ngöôi muoán ta ban cho ñieàu gì, haõy xin ñi.

1:8 And Solomon said unto God, You have showed great mercy unto David my father, and have made me to reign in his position.

1:8 Sa-loâ-moân thöa cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng: Chuùa ñaõ ban ôn roäng cho Ña-vít, cha toâi, vaø ñaõ ñaët toâi laøm vua theá cho ngöôøi.

1:9 Now, O LORD God, let your promise unto David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

1:9 Laïy Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, baây giôø nguyeän cho lôøi Chuùa höùa cuøng Ña-vít, cha toâi, ñöôïc öùng nghieäm; vì Chuùa ñaõ laäp toâi leân laøm vua daân söï naøy ñoâng nhö buïi ñaát.

1:10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this your people, that is so great?

1:10 Vaäy, xin Chuùa ban cho toâi söï khoân ngoan vaø tri thöùc, ñeå toâi ra vaøo tröôùc maët daân söï naøy; vì ai deã xeùt ñoaùn ñöôïc daân cuûa Chuùa raát ñoâng döôøng kia?

1:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in yours heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of yours enemies, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:

1:11 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn vôùi Sa-loâ-moân raèng: Ta ñaõ laäp ngöôi laøm vua daân söï ta; vaû, vì ngöôi coù loøng nhö vaäy, khoâng coù caàu xin söï giaøu coù, cuûa caûi, toân vinh, hay laø maïng soáng cuûa nhöõng keû ghen gheùt ngöôi, vaø cuõng chaúng coù xin söï soáng nhöng laïi caàu xin söï khoân ngoan vaø tri thöùc cho mình, ñeå xeùt ñoaùn daân söï ta,

1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto you; and I will give you riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall there any after you have the like.

1:12 neân ta ñaõ ban söï khoân ngoan vaø tri thöùc cho ngöôi; ta laïi seõ ban cho ngöôi söï giaøu coù, cuûa caûi, toân vinh, ñeán ñoãi caùc vua tröôùc ngöôi khoâng heà coù nhö vaäy, vaø sau ngöôi cuõng seõ chaúng coù vua naøo ñöôïc nhö theá.

1:13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

1:13 Ñoaïn, Sa-loâ-moân töø nôi cao taïi Ga-ba-oân, ôû tröôùc hoäi maïc, trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; vaø ngöôøi cai trò Y-sô-ra-eân.

1:14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

1:14 Sa-loâ-moân nhoùm nhöõng xe vaø lính kî, ñöôïc moät ngaøn boán traêm coã xe, vaø möôøi hai ngaøn lính kî; ngöôøi ñeå noù trong thaønh chöùa xe, vaø gaàn nôi vua taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

1:15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as abundant as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

1:15 Vua laøm cho baïc vaøng trong Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ra thöôøng nhö ñaù soûi, vaø caây baù höông nhieàu nhö caây sung nôi ñoàng baèng.

1:16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

1:16 Coøn ngöïa cuûa Sa-loâ-moân ñeàu töø EÂ-díp-toâ maø ra; caùc con buoân cuûa vua ñi laõnh mua noù töøng baày, moãi baày theo giaù nhaát ñònh.

1:17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.

1:17 Ngöôøi ta töø xöù EÂ-díp-toâ mua ñem leân moät caùi xe giaù saùu traêm sieác-lô baïc, coøn moät con ngöïa giaù moät traêm naêm möôi sieác-lô; caùc vua daân Heâ-tít vaø vua Sy-ri cuõng theo giaù aáy nhôø nhöõng con buoân cuûa vua maø mua veà.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

2:1 And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

2:1 Vaû, Sa-loâ-moân ñònh caát moät caùi ñeàn cho danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø moät caùi cung cho nöôùc mình.

2:2 And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.

2:2 Sa-loâ-moân beøn löïa baûy vaïn ngöôøi böng gaùnh, taùm vaïn ngöôøi thôï ñeõo ñaù treân nuùi, vaø ba ngaøn saùu traêm ngöôøi ñoác coâng.

2:3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As you did deal with David my father, and did send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.

2:3 Sa-loâ-moân sai ñeán Hi-ram, vua Ty-rô, maø noùi raèng: Vua ñaõ haäu ñaõi Ña-vít, cha toâi, cung caáp caây baù höông cho ngöôøi ñaëng caát caùi cung ñeå ngöôøi ôû; xin vua cuõng haõy ñaõi toâi nhö theá.

2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

2:4 Naøy toâi toan caát moät ñeàn cho danh Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi, bieät ñeàn aáy rieâng ra thaùnh cho Ngaøi, ñaëng xoâng nhuõ höông tröôùc maët Ngaøi, baøy baùnh traàn thieát luoân luoân, daâng cuûa leã thieâu veà buoåi saùng vaø veà buoåi chieàu, hoaëc trong ngaøy sa-baùt, ngaøy moàng moät, hay laø trong nhöõng ngaøy leã ñònh cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi; ñeàu ñoù voán laø moät leä ñònh cho Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán ñôøi ñôøi.

2:5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.

2:5 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi voán cao sang, vöôït qua heát caùc thaàn; neân caùi ñeàn toâi toan caát seõ nguy nga.

2:6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?

2:6 Chôù thì ai coù söùc xaây caát cho Chuùa moät caùi ñeàn; vì trôøi vaø ñeán ñoãi trôøi cuûa caùc töøng trôøi coøn chaúng chöùa Ngaøi ñöôïc thay! Vaäy toâi laø ai, maø caát ñöôïc moät caùi ñeàn cho Chuùa? Caát noù chaúng qua laø ñeå xoâng höông taïi tröôùc maët Ngaøi ñoù thoâi.

2:7 Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.

2:7 Vaäy, baây giôø, vua haõy sai ñeán cuøng toâi moät ngöôøi gioûi veà ngheà cheá ñoà vaøng, baïc, ñoàng, saét, thaïo deät baèng chæ tím, ñoû vaø xanh, cuøng bieát chaïm troå ñuû ngheà, ñeå laøm vieäc vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi taøi gioûi ôû beân toâi, taïi Giu-ña vaø Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, maø Ña-vít, cha toâi, ñaõ saém saün.

2:8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that your servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with your servants,

2:11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD has loved his people, he has made you king over them.

2:11 Hi-ram, vua Ty-rô, beøn vieát thô gôûi cho Sa-loâ-moân, maø raèng: Vì côù Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va yeâu thöông daân söï mình, neân Ngaøi ñaõ laäp vua laøm vua treân chuùng.

2:12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, imbued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

2:12 Hi-ram laïi noùi: Ngôïi khen Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, laø Ñaáng döïng neân trôøi ñaát, vì Ngaøi ñaõ ban cho vua Ña-vít moät con trai khoân ngoan, deõ daët, thoâng minh, ñeå caát moät caùi ñeàn cho Ngaøi vaø moät caùi cung cho nöôùc ngöôøi.

5:1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

5:1 Aáy vaäy, caùc coâng vieäc maø Sa-loâ-moân laøm cho ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeàu xong roài. Sa-loâ-moân ñem ñeán nhöõng vaät maø Ña-vít, cha ngöôøi, ñaõ bieät rieâng ra thaùnh, töùc laø baïc, vaøng, vaø caùc khí duïng, ñeå vaøo kho cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

5:2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

5:2 Sa-loâ-moân beøn nhoùm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân, caùc tröôûng cuûa caùc chi phaùi, vaø caùc tröôûng toäc daân Y-sô-ra-eân, caùc tröôûng cuûa caùc chi phaùi, vaø caùc tröôûng toäc daân Y-sô-ra-eân, ñaëng röôùc hoøm giao öôùc cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va leân töø thaønh Ña-vít, laø Si-oân.

5:3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

5:3 Moïi ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu nhoùm laïi ñeán cuøng vua nhaèm kyø leã thaùng baûy.

5:4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

5:4 Caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu ñeán, vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi khieâng hoøm ñi.

5:5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

5:5 Nhöõng thaày teá leã vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi ñeàu ñem leân caùi hoøm, hoäi maïc, vaø caùc khí duïng thaùnh voán ôû trong traïi.

5:6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

5:6 Vua Sa-loâ-moân vaø caû hoäi chuùng Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ nhoùm laïi vôùi vua, ñeàu ñöùng tröôùc hoøm, daâng nhöõng chieân vaø boø laøm cuûa leã nhieàu, voâ soá khoâng theå ñeám ñöôïc.

5:7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:

5:7 Nhöõng thaày teá leã ñem hoøm giao öôùc cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaøo nôi doïn cho hoøm, töùc trong nôi chí thaùnh cuûa ñeàn, döôùi caùnh cheâ-ru-bin.

5:8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

5:8 Hai cheâ-ru-bin seø caùnh ra treân choã hoøm, che hoøm vaø ñoøn khieâng.

5:9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

5:9 Ñoøn khieâng thì daøi, neân ñaàu ñoøn thaáy loù ra ngoaøi hoøm, tröôùc nôi chí thaùnh; nhöng ôû ngoaøi ñeàn thì chaúng thaáy; hoøm vaãn ôû ñoù cho ñeán ngaøy nay.

5:10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

5:10 Chaúng coù gì trong hoøm, tröø ra hai baûng luaät phaùp maø Moâi-se ñaõ ñeå vaøo taïi Hoâ-reáp, khi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laäp giao öôùc vôùi daân Y-sô-ra-eân, luùc chuùng ra khoûi EÂ-díp-toâ.

5:11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

5:12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

5:12 vaø caùc ngöôøi ca haùt trong daân Leâ-vi, töùc A-saùp, Heâ-nan, Gieâ-ñu-thun, cuøng con trai vaø anh em hoï, ñöông maëc quaàn aùo baèng vaûi gai mòn, caàm chaäp choûa, ñôøn saét, vaø ñôøn caàm, ñeàu ñöùng ôû phía ñoâng baøn thôø, vôùi moät traêm hai möôi thaày teá leã thoåi keøn.

5:13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

5:13 Xaûy khi keû thoåi keøn vaø keû ca haùt ñoàng thinh hoøa nhau nhö moät ngöôøi, maø khen ngôïi caûm taï Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø khi hoï troåi tieáng keøn, chaäp choûa, nhaïc khí leân khen ngôïi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, raèng: Ngaøi töø thieän, loøng thöông xoùt Ngaøi haèng coù ñôøi ñôøi, thì ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va bò maây laáp ñaày;

5:14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

5:14 ñeán ñoãi nhöõng thaày teá leã vì maây khoâng theå ñöùng ñoù haàu vieäc ñöôïc, vì söï vinh hieån cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaày laáp ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

6:1 Then said Solomon, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

6:1 Baáy giôø, Sa-loâ-moân noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn raèng Ngaøi seõ ngöï trong nôi toái thaúm.

6:2 But I have built an house of habitation for you, and a place for your dwelling for ever.

6:2 Nhöng toâi ñaõ caát moät caùi ñeàn cho Chuùa truù nguï, moät nôi cho Chuùa ôû ñôøi ñôøi.

6:3 And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.

6:4 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has with his hands fulfilled that which he spoke with his mouth to my father David, saying,

6:4 Ngöôøi noùi: Ñaùng ngôïi khen Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, laø Ñaáng ñaõ phaùn höùa vôùi Ña-vít, cha toâi, vaø nay laáy tay Ngaøi maø laøm cho thaønh lôøi höùa aáy; Ngaøi raèng:

6:5 Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:

6:5 Töø ngaøy ta ñem daân ta ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, ta chöa choïn moät thaønh naøo trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân ñaëng caát moät caùi ñeàn, ñeå ñaët danh ta taïi ñoù, vaø ta cuõng chaúng choïn ngöôøi naøo laøm vua chuùa treân daân Y-sô-ra-eân ta;

6:7 Vaû, Ña-vít, cha toâi, ñaõ raép loøng xaây ñeàn cho danh Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân.

6:8 But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in yours heart to build an house for my name, you did well in that it was in yours heart:

6:8 Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vôùi Ña-vít, cha toâi, raèng: Ngöôi coù raép loøng caát moät caùi ñeàn cho danh ta, aáy thaät phaûi laém;

6:9 daàu vaäy, ngöôi seõ chaúng caát ñeàn aáy; song con trai ngöôi sanh ra seõ caát caùi ñeàn cho danh ta.

6:10 The LORD therefore has performed his word that he has spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

6:10 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm öùng nghieäm lôøi Ngaøi phaùn, khieán toâi keá cho Ña-vít, cha toâi, leân ngoâi trò vì Y-sô-ra-eân, y nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ höùa: neân toâi coù caát ñeàn cho danh Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân,

6:16 Vaäy, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân oâi! 6:30 thì xin Chuùa töø treân trôøi, laø nôi ngöï cuûa Chuùa, haõy duû nghe, tha thöù cho, vaø baùo laïi cho moãi ngöôøi tuøy theo coâng vieäc hoï, vì Chuùa thoâng bieát loøng cuûa hoï (thaät chæ moät mình Chuùa bieát ñöôïc loøng cuûa con caùi loaøi ngöôøi);

6:31 That they may fear you, to walk in your ways, so long as they live in the land which you gave unto our fathers.

6:31 ñeå khieán chuùng kính sôï Chuùa, ñi theo ñöôøng loái cuûa Chuùa troïn ñôøi chuùng soáng ôû treân ñaát maø Chuùa ñaõ ban cho toå phuï chuùng toâi.

6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of your people Israel, but has come from a far country for your great name's sake, and your mighty hand, and your stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

6:32 Vaû laïi, veà ngöôøi ngoaïi bang laø ngöôøi chaúng thuoäc veà daân Y-sô-ra-eân cuûa Chuùa, nhöng vì danh lôùn Chuùa, vì caùnh tay quyeàn naêng giô thaúng ra cuûa Ngaøi, hoï seõ töø xöù xa ñi ñeán höôùng veà ñeàn naøy maø caàu nguyeän,

6:33 Then hear you from the heavens, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to you for; that all people of the earth may know your name, and fear you, as does your people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.

6:33 thì xin Chuùa töø treân trôøi, laø nôi ngöï cuûa Chuùa; haàu cho muoân daân treân ñaát nhaän bieát danh Chuùa, kính sôï Ngaøi nhö daân Y-sô-ra-eân cuûa Chuùa, vaø bieát raèng caùi ñeàn naøy maø toâi ñaõ xaây caát, ñöôïc goïi baèng danh Chuùa.

6:34 If your people go out to war against their enemies by the way that you shall send them, and they pray unto you toward this city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name;

6:34 Khi daân söï Chuùa ra chieán tranh vôùi keû thuø nghòch mình, theo ñöôøng naøo maø Chuùa seõ sai ñi, neáu chuùng caàu nguyeän cuøng Chuùa, xaây veà höôùng thaønh naày maø Chuùa ñaõ choïn, vaø veà ñeàn naày maø toâi ñaõ xaây caát cho danh Chuùa,

6:35 thì xin Chuùa töø treân trôøi haõy duû nghe lôøi caàu nguyeän naøi xin cuûa chuùng, vaø binh vöïc cho hoï.

6:36 If they sin against you, (for there is no man which sins not,) and you be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;

6:36 Neáu daân Y-sô-ra-eân phaïm toäi vôùi Chuùa (vì chaúng coù ngöôøi naøo maø khoâng phaïm toäi), vaø Chuùa noåi giaän, phoù chuùng cho keû thuø nghòch, vaø keû thuø nghòch baét hoï laøm phu tuø daãn ñeán xöù xa hay gaàn;

6:37 Yet if they call to reflect themselves in the land where they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto you in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;

6:37 neáu trong xöù maø hoï bò daãn ñeán laøm phu tuø, hoï suy nghó laïi, aên naên, vaø caàu khaån Chuùa, maø raèng: Chuùng toâi coù phaïm toäi, laøm ñieàu gian aùc vaø cö xöû caùch döõ tôïn,

6:38 If they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which you gave unto their fathers, and toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name:

6:38 neáu taïi trong xöù maø keû thuø nghòch ñaõ daãn hoï ñeán laøm phu tuø, hoï heát loøng heát yù trôû laïi cuøng Chuùa, caàu nguyeän cuøng Ngaøi höôùng veà xöù maø Chuùa ñaõ ban cho toå phuï hoï, veà thaønh Chuùa ñaõ choïn, vaø veà ñeàn maø toâi ñaõ xaây caát cho danh Chuùa,

6:39 Then hear you from the heavens, even from your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive your people which have sinned against you.

6:39 thì xin Chuùa töø treân trôøi, laø nôi ngöï cuûa Chuùa, haõy duû nghe lôøi caàu nguyeän naøi xin cuûa chuùng, binh vöïc hoï, vaø tha thöù toäi maø daân söï cuûa Chuùa ñaõ phaïm cuøng Ngaøi.

6:40 Now, my God, let, I plead to you, yours eyes be open, and let yours ears be attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.

6:40 Vaäy, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! baây giôø caàu xin Chuùa ñoaùi thöông vaø laéng tai nghe phaøm lôøi naøo caàu nguyeän trong nôi naøy.

6:41 Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength: let your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.

6:41 Naày, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi oâi! xin haõy choåi daäy, ñeå Chuùa vaø hoøm quyeàn naêng Ngaøi ñöôïc vaøo nôi an nghæ Ngaøi! Laïy Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi! nguyeän nhöõng thaày teá leã Chuùa ñöôïc maëc söï cöùu roãi, vaø caùc thaùnh ñoà Chuùa ñöôïc möøng rôõ trong söï nhôn töø Ngaøi!

6:42 O LORD God, turn not away the face of yours anointed: remember the mercies of David your servant.

6:42 Hôõi Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi! xin chôù töø boû keû chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Chuùa; khaù nhôù laïi caùc söï nhaân töø cuûa Chuùa ñoái vôùi Ña-vít, laø keû toâi tôù Ngaøi.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

7:1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

7:1 Khi Sa-loâ-moân caàu nguyeän xong, löûa töø trôøi giaùng xuoáng ñoát cuûa leã thieâu vaø caùc hi sinh, söï vinh quang cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaày daãy trong ñeàn.

7:2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house.

7:2 Nhöõng thaày teá leã chaúng vaøo ñöôïc trong ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vì söï vinh quang Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaày daãy ñeàn cuûa Ngaøi.

7:3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.

7:3 Heát thaûy daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu thaáy löûa vaø söï vinh quang cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va giaùng xuoáng ñeàn, beøn saáp maët xuoáng ñaát treân neàn loùt, thôø laïy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø caûm taï Ngaøi, maø raèng: Chuùa laø nhaân töø, vì söï thöông xoùt cuûa Ngaøi coøn ñeán ñôøi ñôøi!

7:4 Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.

7:4 Baáy giôø vua vaø caû daân söï daâng nhöõng cuûa leã taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

7:5 And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

7:5 Vua Sa-loâ-moân daâng hai vaïn hai ngaøn con boø vaø möôøi hai vaïn con chieân ñöïc. Roài vua vaø caû daân söï ñeàu laøm leã khaùnh thaønh ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

7:6 And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endures for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

7:6 Nhöõng thaày teá leã haàu vieäc theo chöùc phaän mình; coøn ngöôøi Leâ-vi thì caàm nhaïc khí cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø vua Ña-vít ñaõ saém ñaëng ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va Ngaøi, bôûi vì loøng nhaân töø Chuùa coøn ñeán ñôøi ñôøi. Nhöõng thaày teá leã thoåi keøn ôû tröôùc maët chuùng, vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu ñöùng.

7:7 Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the food offerings, and the fat.

7:7 Sa-loâ-moân bieät rieâng ra thaùnh choã ôû chính giöõa haønh laøng tröôùc ñeàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; vì taïi ñoù, ngöôøi daâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø môõ veà cuûa leã thuø aân, bôûi caùi baøn thôø ñoàng maø Sa-loâ-moân ñaõ laøm, khoâng ñöïng heát cuûa leã thieâu, cuûa leã chay, vaø môõ ñöôïc.

7:8 Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.

7:8 Trong khi aáy, Sa-loâ-moân vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân, ñeán töø mieàn veà phía Ha-maùt cho tôùi khe EÂ-díp-toâ, nhoùm laïi thaønh moät hoäi raát ñoâng ñaûo, ñeàu döï leã trong baûy ngaøy.

7:9 And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

7:9 Qua ngaøy thöù taùm, ngöôøi ta giöõ leã troïng theå, vì hoï döï leã khaùnh thaønh baøn thôø trong baûy ngaøy, vaø möøng leã thöôøng trong baûy ngaøy.

7:10 And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had showed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

7:10 Ngaøy hai möôi ba thaùng baûy, ngöôøi cho daân söï trôû veà traïi mình, loøng ñeàu vui veû vaø möøng rôõ, vì söï nhaân töø maø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ban cho Ña-vít, cho Sa-loâ-moân, vaø cho Y-sô-ra-eân, laø daân söï cuûa Ngaøi.

7:11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

7:11 Nhö vaäy, Sa-loâ-moân laøm xong ñeàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø cung vua; phaøm coâng vieäc gì Sa-loâ-moân raép loøng laøm trong ñeàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø trong cung vua, ñeàu xong caû.

7:12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

7:12 Ban ñeâm Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hieän ñeán cuøng Sa-loâ-moân, maø raèng: Ta coù nghe lôøi caàu nguyeän ngöôi, vaø ñaõ choïn nôi naøy laøm moät nhaø teá leã.

7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

7:13 Neáu ta ñoùng caùc töøng trôøi laïi, khoâng cho möa xuoáng, khieán caøo caøo phaù haïi thoå saûn, vaø giaùng oân dòch giöõa daân söï ta;

7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

7:14 vaø nhöôïc baèng daân söï ta, laø daân goïi baèng danh ta, haï mình xuoáng, caàu nguyeän, tìm kieám maët ta, vaø trôû laïi, boû con ñöôøng taø, thì ta ôû treân trôøi seõ nghe, tha thöù toäi chuùng noù, vaø cöùu xöù hoï khoûi tai vaï.

7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.

7:15 Baáy giôø, maét ta seõ ñoaùi xem, loã tai ta seõ laéng nghe lôøi naøo caàu nguyeän taïi nôi naøy;

7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

7:16 vì baây giôø, ta ñaõ choïn vaø khieán cho caùi nhaø naøy ra thaùnh, haàu cho danh ta ngöï ñoù ñôøi ñôøi: maét cuøng loøng ta seõ ôû ñoù luoân luoân.

7:17 And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and shall observe my statutes and my judgments;

7:17 Coøn ngöôi, neáu ngöôi khöùng ñi tröôùc maët ta nhö Ña-vít, cha ngöôi ñaõ laøm, laøm theo moïi ñieàu ta phaùn daïy ngöôi, gìn giöõ luaät leä vaø giôùi maïng ta,

7:18 Then will I establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.

7:18 thì ta seõ laäp ngoâi nöôùc ngöôi ñöôïc beàn vöõng, y theo lôøi öôùc ta ñaõ keát vôùi Ña-vít, cha ngöôi, maø raèng: Ngöôi seõ chaúng heà thieáu ngöôøi quaûn trò Y-sô-ra-eân.

7:19 But if all of you turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

7:19 Nhöng neáu caùc ngöôi boäi nghòch, boû caùc luaät leä vaø giôùi maïng ta ñaõ ñaët tröôùc maët caùc ngöôi, ñi haàu vieäc nhöõng taø thaàn vaø thôø laïy chuùng noù,

7:20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

7:20 thì ta seõ röùt nhoå caùc ngöôi khoûi ñaát ta ñaõ ban cho caùc ngöôi; coøn caùi nhaø naøy maø ta ñaõ bieät rieâng ra thaùnh cho danh ta, ta seõ boû noù ñi, laøm cho noù neân moät caâu tuïc ngöõ, moät vieäc nhaïo cöôøi giöõa caùc daân toäc.

7:21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passes by it; so that he shall say, Why has the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?

7:21 Caùi nhaø naøy daãu cao döôøng naøo, heã ai ñi qua gaàn noù cuõng seõ laáy laøm laï maø noùi raèng: Côù sao Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù xöû xöù naøy vaø ñeàn naøy nhö theá?

7:22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore has he brought all this evil upon them.

7:22 Thì ngöôøi ta seõ ñaùp raèng: Bôûi vì hoï lìa boû Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï hoï, laø Ñaáng ñaõ daãn hoï ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, vaø vì hoï ñeo ñuoåi theo caùc taø thaàn, thôø laïy vaø haàu vieäc chuùng noù, neân Ngaøi ñaõ giaùng treân hoï caùc tai vaï naøy.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

8:1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

8:1 Cuoái hai möôi naêm, sau khi Sa-loâ-moân ñaõ xaây caát xong caùi ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø caùi cung mình,

8:2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

8:2 thì Sa-loâ-moân cuõng söûa xaây laïi caùc thaønh maø vua Hu-ram ñaõ nhöôøng cho ngöôøi, vaø khieán cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân ôû ñoù.

8:3 And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.

8:3 Sa-loâ-moân ñi ñeán Ha-maùt-Xoâ-ba vaø thaéng ñöôïc.

8:4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.

8:4 Ngöôøi xaây thaønh Taùt-moát trong ñoàng vaéng, vaø xaây caùc thaønh duøng laøm kho taøng taïi xöù Ha-maùt.

8:5 Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

8:5 Ngöôøi cuõng xaây Beát-Hoâ-roân treân vaø Beát-Hoâ-roân döôùi, laø nhöõng thaønh beàn vöõng, coù vaùch töôøng, cöûa vaø then khoùa;

8:6 And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

8:6 laïi xaây thaønh Ba-laùt vaø caùc thaønh laøm kho taøng cuûa Sa-loâ-moân, caùc thaønh ñeå chöùa xe, vaø caùc thaønh cho lính kî ngöôøi ôû; phaøm ñieàu gì Sa-loâ-moân öôùc ao xaây caát, hoaëc taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, treân Li-ban, hay laø trong khaép xöù phuïc döôùi quyeàn ngöôøi, thì ñeàu xaây caát caû.

8:7 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

8:7 Heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi coøn soáng soùt laïi trong daân Heâ-tít, daân A-moâ-rít, daân Pheâ-reâ-sít, daân Heâ-vít, vaø daân Gieâ-bu-sít, khoâng thuoäc veà Y-sô-ra-eân,

8:8 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

8:8 töùc laø nhöõng con chaùu chuùng noù haõy coøn laïi trong xöù, maø daân Y-sô-ra-eân khoâng dieät heát, thì trong chuùng noù Sa-loâ-moân baét keû laøm xaâu cho ñeán ngaøy nay.

8:9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

8:9 Nhöng veà daân Y-sô-ra-eân, Sa-loâ-moân khoâng baét ai laøm xaâu heát, vì hoï laøm quaân lính, quan töôùng, quan cai xe, vaø lính kî cuûa ngöôøi.

8:10 And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

8:10 Coøn veà quan tröôûng cuûa Sa-loâ-moân ñaët leân ñeå quaûn ñoác daân söï laøm coâng vieäc, soá laø hai traêm naêm möôi ngöôøi.

8:11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, unto which the ark of the LORD has come.

8:11 Sa-loâ-moân sai röôùc coâng chuùa Pha-ra-oân ôû thaønh Ña-vít leân cung maø ngöôøi ñaõ caát cho naøng; vì ngöôøi noùi raèng: Vôï ta chaúng neân ôû trong cung Ña-vít, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, vì nôi naøo hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeán, thì ñaõ neân thaùnh roài.

8:12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

8:12 Baáy giôø, Sa-loâ-moân daâng cuûa leã thieâu cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va taïi treân baøn thôø cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va maø ngöôøi ñaõ xaây tröôùc hieân cöûa;

8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

8:13 laïi tuøy theo leä luaät cuûa Moâi-se, ngöôøi daâng moãi ngaøy cuûa leã phaûi daâng, cuøng trong caùc ngaøy sa-baùt, ngaøy moàng moät, vaø haèng naêm nhaèm ba leã troïng theå, töùc leã baùnh khoâng men, leã caùc tuaàn leã, vaø leã leàu taïm.

8:14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

8:14 Tuøy theo lònh truyeàn cuûa Ña-vít, cha mình, ngöôøi phaân ñònh ban thöù cuûa nhöõng thaày teá leã trong phaàn vieäc hoï, vaø laäp ngöôøi Leâ-vi trong chöùc söï hoï, ñaëng ngôïi khen Chuùa vaø haàu vieäc taïi tröôùc maët nhöõng thaày teá leã, cöù coâng vieäc ngaøy naøo theo ngaøy naáy; taïi moãi cöûa cuõng ñaët keû giöõ cöûa, cöù theo phieân mình, vì Ña-vít, ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, ñaõ truyeàn lònh nhö vaäy.

8:15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

8:15 Phaøm ñieàu gì vua ñaõ phaùn daïy höõng thaày teá leã vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi, hoaëc veà kho taøng hay laø veà vieäc khaùc, thì hoï chaúng boû beâ chuùt naøo.

8:16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.

8:16 Vaû, caùc taøi lieäu maø Sa-loâ-moân duøng veà vieäc caát ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñeàu ñaõ saém söûa töø ngaøy ñaët neàn cho ñeán khi coâng vieäc xong. Ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ caát xong laø nhö vaäy.

8:17 Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

8:17 Khi aáy Sa-loâ-moân ñi ñeán EÂ-xi-oân-Gheâ-be vaø EÂ-loát, taïi treân meù bieån, trong xöù EÂ-ñoâm.

8:18 And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

8:18 Hu-ram bôûi tay caùc toâi tôù mình, gôûi ñeán cho ngöôøi nhöõng taøu vaø caùc thuûy thuû thaïo ngheà ñi bieån; chuùng ñi vôùi caùc toâi tôù cuûa Sa-loâ-moân ñeán OÂ-phia, laáy taïi ñoù boán traêm naêm möôi ta laâng vaøng, vaø chôû veà cho vua Sa-loâ-moân.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

9:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

9:1 Khi nöõ vöông nöôùc Seâ-ba nghe ñoàn danh tieáng cuûa Sa-loâ-moân, beøn ñi ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, laáy nhöõng caâu ñoá maø thöû ngöôøi, baø coù haàu haï theo raát ñoâng, coù nhöõng laïc ñaø chôû thuoác thôm, raát nhieàu vaøng, vaø ñaù quí; baø ñeán cuøng Sa-loâ-moân, noùi vôùi ngöôøi moïi ñieàu coù ôû trong loøng mình.

9:2 And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.

9:2 Sa-loâ-moân ñaùp caùc caâu hoûi cuûa baø, chaúng caâu naøo aån bí quaù cho Sa-loâ-moân maø ngöôøi khoâng giaûi nghóa noåi cho baø.

9:6 Nevertheless I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me: for you exceed the fame that I heard.

9:6 Song tröôùc khi toâi chöa ñeán ñaây vaø chöa thaáy taän maét nhöõng ñieàu naøy, thì toâi chaúng tin lôøi hoï; vaø kìa, ngöôøi ta chaúng thuaät cho toâi nghe ñeán phaân nöûa söï khoân ngoan lôùn lao cuûa vua; vua thaät troåi hôn tieáng ñoàn toâi ñaõ nghe.

9:11 Vua duøng goã baïch ñaøn höông aáy maø laøm caùi thang trong ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø trong cung ñieän vua, cuøng nhöõng ñôøn caàm ñôøn saét cho con haùt: tröôùc khi trong nöôùc Giu-ña, ngöôøi ta chaúng heà thaáy coù gioáng nhö vaäy).

9:12 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.

9:22 And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

9:31 Sa-loâ-moân an giaác cuøng toå phuï mình, ñöôïc choân trong thaønh cuûa Ña-vít, laø cha ngöôøi; Roâ-boâ-am, con trai ngöôøi, cai trò theá cho ngöôøi.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

10:1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem: in order to Shechem were all Israel come to make him king.

10:1 Roâ-boâ-am ñi ñeán Si-chem, vì caû Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu ñaõ tôùi Si-chem ñaëng toân ngöôøi laøm vua.

10:2 And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was in Egypt, where he fled from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.

10:2 Khi Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, con trai Neâ-baùt, hay ñieàu ñoù, thì coøn ôû EÂ-díp-toâ, laø nôi ngöôøi ñaõ troán, ñeå thoaùt khoûi maët Sa-loâ-moân; ngöôøi beøn töø EÂ-díp-toâ trôû veà.

10:3 And they sent and called him. So Jeroboam and all Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying,

10:3 Ngöôøi ta sai keû ñi goïi ngöôøi veà; ñoaïn Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu ñeán taâu vôùi Roâ-boâ-am raèng:

10:4 Your father made our yoke grievous: now therefore ease you somewhat the grievous servitude of your father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve you.

10:4 Thaân phuï vua ñaõ gaùn aùch naëng cho chuùng toâi, vaäy baây giôø, haõy giaûm nheï söï phuïc dòch khoù nhoïc naøy vaø caùi aùch naëng neà maø thaân phuï vua ñaõ gaùn treân chuùng toâi, thì chuùng toâi seõ phuïc söï vua.

10:5 And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the people departed.

10:5 Ngöôøi ñaùp vôùi chuùng raèng: Khoûi ba ngaøy, caùc ngöôi haõy trôû laïi cuøng ta. Daân söï beøn lui veà.

10:6 And king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give all of you me to return answer to this people?

10:6 Vua Roâ-boâ-am baøn nghò cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo ñaõ chaàu tröôùc maët Sa-loâ-moân, cha ngöôøi, trong luùc Sa-loâ-moân coøn soáng, maø raèng: Caùc ngöôi baøn luaän cho ta phaûi traû lôøi vôùi daân söï naøy laøm sao?

10:7 And they spoke unto him, saying, If you be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be your servants for ever.

10:7 Caùc tröôûng laõo thöa laïi vôùi vua raèng: Neáu vua ñaõi daân söï naøy töû teá, aên ôû vui loøng cuøng chuùng noù, vaø laáy lôøi hieàn laønh noùi vôùi chuùng noù, aét chuùng noù seõ laøm toâi tôù vua maõi maõi.

10:8 But he forsook the counsel which the old men gave him, and took counsel with the young men that were brought up with him, that stood before him.

10:8 Song Roâ-boâ-am chaúng theo möu cuûa caùc tröôûng laõo ñaõ baøn cho mình, beøn hoäi nghò vôùi caùc ngöôøi trai treû ñaõ ñoàng sanh tröôûng vôùi mình, vaø chaàu tröôùc maët mình,

10:9 And he said unto them, What advice give all of you that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that your father did put upon us?

10:9 maø raèng: Daân söï naøy ñaõ taâu vôùi ta raèng: Haõy giaûm nheï caùi aùch maø thaân phuï vua ñaõ gaùn cho chuùng toâi; vaäy caùc ngöôi baøn luaän cho ta phaûi ñaùp vôùi chuùng noù laøm sao?

10:10 And the young men that were brought up with him spoke unto him, saying, Thus shall you answer the people that spoke unto you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, but make you it somewhat lighter for us; thus shall you say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.

10:10 Caùc gaõ trai treû ñoàng lôùn leân vôùi ngöôøi thöa raèng: Daân söï ñaõ thöa vôùi vua raèng: Thaân phuï vua khieán cho aùch chuùng toâi naëng neà; vua haõy laøm cho noù ra nheï; vua phaûi ñaùp laïi cuøng chuùng nhö vaày: Ngoùn tay uùt ta lôùn hôn löng cuûa cha ta.

10:11 For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

10:11 Vaäy, baây giôø, cha ta ñaõ gaùn moät caùi aùch naëng treân caùc ngöôi, aét ta seõ laøm cho aùch caùc ngöôi theâm naëng hôn; cha ta ñaõ söûa phaït caùc ngöôi baèng roi, coøn ta seõ söûa phaït caùc ngöôi baèng roi boø caïp.

10:12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king bade, saying, Come again to me on the third day.

10:12 Ngaøy thöù ba, Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am vaø caû daân söï ñeàu ñeán cuøng Roâ-boâ-am y nhö vua ñaõ bieåu raèng: Haõy trôû laïi cuøng ta trong ngaøy thöù ba.

10:13 And the king answered them roughly; and king Rehoboam forsook the counsel of the old men,

10:13 Vua Roâ-boâ-am ñaùp vôùi daân söï caùch xaúng xôùm, boû möu cuûa caùc tröôûng laõo ñaõ baøn,

10:14 And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

10:14 theo lôøi baøn cuûa nhöõng keû trai treû, vaø ñaùp cuøng chuùng raèng: Cha ta khieán cho aùch caùc ngöôi naëng neà; ta seõ laøm cho aùch caùc ngöôi theâm naëng hôn; cha ta söûa phaït caùc ngöôi baèng roi, ta seõ söûa phaït caùc ngöôi baèng roi boø caïp.

10:15 So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spoke by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

10:15 Nhö vaäy, vua khoâng nghe lôøi daân söï, vì aáy laø bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi daãn ñeán, haàu cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm öùng nghieäm lôøi cuûa Ngaøi ñaõ nhôø A-hi-gia, ngöôøi Si-loâ, maø phaùn cuøng Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, con trai cuûa Neâ-baùt.

10:16 And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to yours own house. So all Israel went to their tents.

10:16 Khi caû Y-sô-ra-eân thaáy vua khoâng nghe lôøi hoï, beøn ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi, maø raèng: Chuùng ta coù phaàn gì vôùi Ña-vít? Chuùng ta chaúng coù cô nghieäp gì vôùi con trai Y-sai. Hôõi Y-sô-ra-eân! moãi ngöôøi haõy trôû veà traïi mình ñi. ÔÙ Ña-vít! töø raøy khaù coi chöøng nhaø cuûa ngöôi. Caû Y-sô-ra-eân baèn trôû veà traïi mình.

10:17 But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

10:17 Nhöng coøn daân Y-sô-ra-eân ôû taïi caùc thaønh Giu-ña thì Roâ-boâ-am cai trò treân chuùng.

10:18 Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

10:18 Baáy giôø, vua Roâ-boâ-am sai Ha-ñoâ-ram, laø ngöôøi cai quaûn vieäc coáng thueá, ñeán cuøng daân Y-sô-ra-eân; song daân Y-sô-ra-eân neùm ñaù ngöôøi, thì ngöôøi cheát. Vua Roâ-boâ-am laät ñaät leân xe troán veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

10:19 And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

10:19 Aáy vaäy, Y-sô-ra-eân phaûn nghòch cuøng nhaø Ña-vít cho ñeán ngaøy nay.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

11:1 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.

11:1 Roâ-boâ-am trôû veà thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, beøn nhoùm nhaø Giu-ña vaø nhaø Beân-gia-min, ñöôïc möôøi taùm vaïn chieán só keùn choïn, toan ñaùnh giaëc vôùi Y-sô-ra-eân, ñeå ñem nöôùc veà Roâ-boâ-am laïi.

11:2 But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

11:2 Nhöng coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Seâ-ma-gia, ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, raèng:

11:3 Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,

11:3 Haõy noùi vôùi Roâ-boâ-am, con trai cuûa Sa-loâ-moân, vua Giu-ña, vaø vôùi caû Y-sô-ra-eân trong Giu-ña, cuøng Beân-gia-min, maø raèng:

11:4 Thus says the LORD, All of you shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.

11:4 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Caùc ngöôi chôù ñi leân chinh chieán vôùi anh em mình; moãi ngöôøi haõy trôû veà nhaø mình, vì vieäc naøy taïi ta maø xaûy ñeán. Chuùng nghe theo lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø trôû veà, khoâng ñi ñaùnh Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am.

11:5 And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for defence in Judah.

11:14 For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the LORD:

11:14 vì caùc ngöôøi Leâ-vi lìa boû ñòa haït caùc thaønh mình vaø saûn nghieäp mình, maø ñeán ñaát Giu-ña vaø thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; bôûi Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am vaø caùc con trai ngöôøi ñuoåi hoï ñi, khoâng cho laøm chöùc thaày teá leã cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nöõa;

11:15 Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am beøn laäp nhöõng thaày teá leã cho caùc nôi cao, cho caùc hình töôïng deâ ñöïc, vaø boø con maø ngöôøi ñaõ laøm.

11:16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.

11:16 Laïi trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, phaøm ai raép loøng tìm kieám Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, thì ñeàu theo nhöõng thaày teá leã vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi maø ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñaëng teá leã cho Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï mình.

11:17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.

11:17 Trong ba naêm, chuùng laøm cho nöôùc Giu-ña vöõng chaéc, giuùp ñôõ Roâ-boâ-am, con trai cuûa Sa-loâ-moân, trôû neân cöôøng thaïnh; vì trong ba naêm aáy chuùng ñi theo con ñöôøng cuûa Ña-vít vaø Sa-loâ-moân.

11:18 And Rehoboam took him Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;

11:18 Roâ-boâ-am laáy Ma-ha-laùt, con gaùi cuûa Gieâ-ri-moát, chaùu cuûa Ña-vít, laøm vôï; laïi cöôùi A-bi-hai, con gaùi EÂ-li-aùp, chaùu cuûa Y-sai;

11:19 Which bare him children; Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.

11:19 naøng sanh cho ngöôøi nhöõng con trai, laø Gieâ-uùc, Seâ-ma-ria, vaø Xa-ham.

11:20 And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

11:20 Sau naøng, ngöôøi laïi cöôùi Ma -a-ca, con gaùi Aùp-sa-loân; naøng sanh cho ngöôøi, A-bi-gia, Aùt-thai Xi-xa, vaø Seâ-loâ-mít.

11:21 And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and brings forth twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)

11:21 Vaû, Roâ-boâ-am yeâu meán Ma -a-ca con gaùi Aùp-sa-loâm hôn caùc haäu phi khaùc (vì ngöôøi coù laáy möôøi taùm hoaøng haäu vaø saùu möôi cung phi, sanh ra hai möôi taùm con trai vaø saùu möôi con gaùi).

11:22 And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.

11:22 Roâ-boâ-am laäp A-bi-gia, con trai Ma -a-ca, laøm tröôûng, laøm thaùi töû giöõa anh em mình; vì ngöôøi toan laäp con aáy laøm vua.

11:23 And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fenced city: and he gave them victual in abundance. And he desired many wives.

11:23 Roâ-boâ-am cö xöû caùch khoân ngoan, phaân taûn caùc con trai mình ñi ôû khaép trong coõi Giu-ña vaø Beân-gia-min, nôi caùc thaønh beàn vöõng, caáp cho chuùng löông thöïc dö daät, vaø cöôùi nhieàu vôï cho.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

12:1 And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.

12:1 Xaûy khi nöôùc cuûa Roâ-boâ-am vöøa ñöôïc laäp vöõng beàn, vaø ngöôøi ñöôïc cöôøng thaïnh, thì ngöôøi vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân lieàn boû luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

12:2 And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,

12:2 Vì chuùng coù phaïm toäi cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, neân xaûy ra trong naêm thöù naêm ñôøi vua Roâ-boâ-am, Si-saéc, vua EÂ-díp-toâ, keùo leân haõm ñaùnh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem;

12:3 With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.

12:3 coù daãn theo moät ngaøn hai traêm coã xe vaø saùu vaïn lính kî; laïi coù daân Li-by, daân Su-ri, vaø daân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi töø EÂ-díp-toâ keùo leân vôùi ngöôøi, soá khoâng theå ñeám ñaëng.

12:4 And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.

12:4 Si-saéc beøn chieám laáy caùc thaønh beàn vöõng thuoäc veà Giu-ña, roài ñeán taän Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

12:5 Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus says the LORD, All of you have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.

12:5 Tieân tri Seâ-ma-gia ñeán cuøng Roâ-boâ-am vaø caùc keû laøm ñaàu Giu-ña, ñöông nhoùm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeå troán khoûi Si-saéc, maø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Caùc ngöôi ñaõ boû ta, neân ta cuõng ñaõ boû caùc ngöôi vaøo tay Si-saéc.

12:6 Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.

12:6 Baáy giôø, caùc keû laøm ñaàu cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân vaø vua ñeàu haï mình xuoáng, maø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø coâng bình.

12:7 And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

12:7 Khi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va thaáy chuùng haï mình xuoáng, thì coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Seâ-ma-gia raèng: Chuùng noù ñaõ haï mình xuoáng, ta seõ khoâng huûy dieät chuùng noù; song seõ giaûi cöùu chuùng moät chuùt, vaø côn giaän ta seõ chaúng caäy tay Si-saéc maø ñoå ra treân Gieâ-ru-sa-lem;

12:8 Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.

12:8 song chuùng noù seõ bò phuïc dòch haén, haàu cho bieát phuïc söï ta vaø phuïc dòch nöôùc khaùc laø coù phaân bieät theå naøo.

12:9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

12:9 Si-saéc, vua EÂ-díp-toâ, keùo leân haõm ñaùnh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñoaït laáy caùc böûu vaät cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø cung vua: ngöôøi ñoaït laáy heát thaûy; cuõng ñoaït laáy nhöõng khieân baèng vaøng maø Sa-loâ-moân ñaõ laøm.

12:10 Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's house.

12:10 Vua Roâ-boâ-am beøn laøm nhöõng khieân baèng ñoàng theá cho, vaø giao nôi tay caùc quan chaùnh thò veä canh giöõ cöûa cuûa cung ñieän vua.

12:11 And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.

12:11 Heã khi naøo vua vaøo trong ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, thì caùc quan thò veä caàm khieân ñeán, ñoaïn ñem noù laïi vaøo phoøng cuûa quan thò veä.

12:12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.

12:12 Khi vua haï mình xuoáng, côn giaän cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laùnh khoûi ngöôøi, khoâng dieät heát thaûy; vaø laïi trong Giu-ña coøn coù söï laønh.

12:13 So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.

12:13 Aáy vaäy vua Roâ-boâ-am laøm cho mình ra beàn vöõng trong Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø trò vì. Vaû khi Roâ-boâ-am leân ngoâi, tuoåi ñaõ boán möôi moát; ngöôøi cai trò möôøi baûy naêm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, töùc laø thaønh maø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ choïn trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, ñaëng ñaët danh Ngaøi taïi ñoù; coøn meï ngöôøi teân laø Na -a-ma, ngöôøi ñaøn baø Am-moân.

12:14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.

12:14 Roâ-boâ-am laøm ñieàu aùc, vì khoâng raép loøng tìm caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

12:15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.

12:15 Caùc coâng vieäc cuûa Roâ-boâ-am töø ñaàu ñeán cuoái, ñeàu cheùp trong saùch truyeän cuûa Seâ-ma-gia, ñaáng tieân tri, trong saùch Y-ñoâ, ñaáng tieân kieán, luaän veà gia phoå. Roâ-boâ-am vaø Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am haèng ñaùnh giaëc vôùi nhau luoân luoân.

12:16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his position.

12:16 Roâ-boâ-am an giaác cuøng toå phuï mình, ñöôïc choân trong thaønh Ña-vít; A-bi-gia, con trai ngöôøi, cai trò theá cho ngöôøi.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

13:1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.

13:1 Naêm thöù möôøi taùm ñôøi vua Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, A-bi-gia leân ngoâi laøm vua Giu-ña.

13:2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

13:2 Ngöôøi cai trò ba naêm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; teân meï ngöôøi laø Mi-ca-gia, con gaùi cuûa U-ri-eân ôû Ghi-beâ -a. A-bi-gia vaø Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am ñaùnh giaëc vôùi nhau.

13:3 And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.

13:3 A-bi-gia ra traän vôùi moät ñaïo chieán só, boán möôi vaïn ngöôøi keùn choïn; coøn Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am daøn traän ñoái vôùi ngöôøi, coù taùm möôi vaïn ngöôøi keùn choïn, laø lính chieán maïnh daïn.

13:4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, you Jeroboam, and all Israel;

13:4 A-bi-gia ñöùng treân nuùi Xeâ-ma-ra-im trong mieàn nuùi Eùp-ra-im, maø noùi raèng: Hôõi Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân, khaù nghe!

13:5 Ought all of you not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

13:5 Bôûi söï giao öôùc baèng muoái, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ ban nöôùc Y-sô-ra-eân cho Ña-vít vaø cho caùc con trai ngöôøi ñeán ñôøi ñôøi, caùc ngöôi haù chaúng bieát sao?

13:6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, has risen up, and has rebelled against his lord.

13:6 Daãu vaäy, Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, con trai Neâ-baùt, toâi tôù cuûa Sa-loâ-moân, laø con trai cuûa Ña-vít, beøn choåi daäy phaûn nghòch cuøng Chuùa mình;

13:7 And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.

13:7 nhöõng keû du ñaõng, ñoà phaøm heøn, ñeàu hieäp laïi theo ngöôøi chuùng noù töï laøm mình ra maïnh, nghòch vôùi Roâ-boâ-am, con trai cuûa Sa-loâ-moân; coøn Roâ-boâ-am thì treû tuoåi, nhaùt gan, khoâng choáng cöï noåi chuùng noù.

13:8 And now all of you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and all of you be a great multitude, and there are with your golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.

13:8 Vaäy baây giôø, caùc ngöôi töôûng raèng caùc ngöôi seõ choáng cöï noåi nöôùc cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ban cho caùc con trai cuûa Ña-vít, caùc ngöôi moät ñoaøn ñoâng lôùn, coù ñem theo boø con vaøng maø Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am ñaõ ñuùc laøm thaàn cuûa caùc ngöôi.

13:9 Have all of you not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.

13:9 Caùc ngöôi haù chaúng coù ñuoåi nhöõng thaày teá leã cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, laø con chaùu A-roân, vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi sao? Caùc ngöôi coù theo phong tuïc cuûa caùc daân ngoaïi maø laäp laáy nhöõng thaày teá leã cho mình; phaøm ai ñeán ñem moät con boø ñöïc tô vaø baûy con chieân ñöïc ñaëng daâng laøm leã, thì ñöôïc laøm thaày teá leã cuûa nhöõng thaàn hö khoâng.

13:10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:

13:10 Nhöng veà phaàn chuùng ta, Gieâ-hoâ-va vaãn laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng ta, chuùng ta chaúng coù lìa boû Ngaøi; nhöõng thaày teá leã, laø con chaùu cuûa A-roân, ñeàu phuïc söï Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø caùc ngöôøi Leâ-vi giöõ phaàn vieäc cuûa hoï;

13:11 And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but all of you have forsaken him.

13:11 moãi buoåi sôùm mai vaø buoåi chieàu, chuùng xoâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø thuoác thôm cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; chuùng cuõng saép baùnh traàn thieát treân baøn saïch seõ, thaép caùc ñeøn cuûa chôn ñeøn vaøng ñeå noù chaùy moãi buoåi chieàu toái; vì chuùng ta vaâng giöõ laøm theo maïng lònh cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta, coøn caùc ngöôi laïi boû ñi.

13:12 And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight all of you not against the LORD God of your fathers; for all of you shall not prosper.

13:12 Naày, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû cuøng chuùng ta, laøm ñaàu chuùng ta, vaø nhöõng thaày teá leã cuûa Ngaøi caàm nhöõng keøn tieáng vang ñaëng thoåi leân nghòch cuøng caùc ngöôi. Hôõi con caùi Y-sô-ra-eân! chôù tranh chieán cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï caùc ngöôi, vì chaúng thaéng ñöôïc ñaâu!

13:13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.

13:13 Nhöng Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am truyeàn binh phuïc ñi voøng ñaëng ñeán phía sau chuùng vaäy quaân Y-sô-ra-eân ôû ñaèng tröôùc quaân Giu-ña coøn binh phuïc ôû ñaèng sau.

13:14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.

13:14 Giu-ña xaây ngoù laïi, kìa, giaëc ñaõ coù phía tröôùc vaø phía sau, beøn keâu caàu cuøng Ñöùc gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø nhöõng thaày teá leã thoåi keøn.

13:15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God stroke Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

13:15 Baáy giôø ngöôøi Giu-ña keâu la, thì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùnh Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am vaø caû Y-sô-ra-eân taïi tröôùc maët A-bi-gia vaø daân Giu-ña.

13:16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.

13:16 Daân Y-sô-ra-eân chaïy troán tröôùc maët daân Giu-ña, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay daân Giu-ña.

13:17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.

13:17 A-bi-gia vaø quaân lính ngöôøi laøm cho chuùng bò thua traän caû theå, coù naêm möôi vaïn tinh binh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân bò thöông ngaõ cheát.

13:18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

13:18 Nhö vaäy, trong luùc aáy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân bò sæ nhuïc, coøn daân Giu-ña ñöôïc thaéng hôn, vì chuùng nhôø caäy nôi Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï hoï.

13:19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephraim with the towns thereof.

13:19 A-bi-gia ñuoåi theo Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, chieám laáy nhöõng thaønh, laø Beâ-teân vaø caùc höông thoân noù; Gieâ-sa-na vaø caùc höông thoân noù; Eùp-roân vaø caùc höông thoân noù.

13:20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died.

13:20 Trong luùc A-bi-gia coøn soáng, Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am chaúng ñöôïc cöôøng thaïnh laïi; Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haønh haïi ngöôøi, thì ngöôøi cheát.

13:21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and brings forth twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.

13:21 Coøn A-bi-gia ñöôïc cöôøng thaïnh, cöôùi möôøi boán ngöôøi vôï, sanh ñöôïc hai möôi hai con trai vaø möôøi saùu con gaùi.

13:22 And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

13:22 Caùc coâng söï khaùc cuûa A-bi-gia, nhöõng vieäc laøm vaø lôøi noùi cuûa ngöôøi, ñeàu cheùp trong saùch truyeän cuûa tieân tri Y-ñoâ.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

14:1 So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his position. In his days the land was quiet ten years.

14:1 A-bi-gia an giaác cuøng toå phuï mình, vaø ngöôøi ta choân ngöôøi trong thaønh Ña-vít. A-sa, con trai ngöôøi, cai trò theá cho ngöôøi. Trong ñôøi ngöôøi, xöù ñöôïc hoøa bình möôøi naêm.

14:2 And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:

14:2 A-sa laøm ñieàu thieän vaø ngay thaúng tröôùc maët Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa ngöôøi;

14:3 For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:

14:3 vì ngöôøi caát boû caùc baøn thôø cuûa thaàn ngoaïi bang, vaø nhöõng nôi cao, ñaäp beå caùc truï thôø, vaø ñaùnh ñoå nhöõng töôïng A-seâ-ra;

14:4 And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.

14:4 ngöôøi khuyeân Giu-ña phaûi tìm caàu Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï chuùng, cuøng laøm theo luaät phaùp vaø ñieàu raên cuûa Ngaøi.

14:5 Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.

14:5 Ngöôøi cuõng tröø boû nhöõng nôi cao vaø truï thôø maët trôøi khoûi caùc thaønh cuûa Giu-ña. Nöôùc ñöôïc baèng an tröôùc maët ngöôøi.

14:6 And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.

14:6 Ngöôøi xaây nhöõng thaønh beàn vöõng trong ñaát Giu-ña, vì trong maáy naêm ñoù xöù hoøa bình, khoâng coù chieán traän, bôûi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ban cho ngöôøi ñöôïc an nghæ.

14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

14:7 Ngöôøi baûo daân Giu-ña raèng: Ta haõy xaây caát caùc thaønh naøy, ñaép vaùch töôøng chung quanh, döïng thaùp, laøm cöûa vaø then, ñöông luùc xöù haõy coøn thuoäc veà chuùng ta; vì chuùng ta coù tìm kieám Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng ta; chuùng ta coù tìm ñöôïc Ngaøi, Ngaøi ñaõ ban cho chuùng ta bình an boán phía. Chuùng beøn xaây caát vaø ñöôïc thaønh coâng. A-sa thaéng quaân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi

14:8 And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.

14:8 A-sa coù moät ñaïo binh ba möôi vaïn ngöôøi Giu-ña, caàm khieân vaø giaùo, vaø hai möôi taùm vaïn ngöôøi ngöôøi Beân-gia-min caàm thuaãn vaø giöông cung; heát thaûy ñeàu laø ngöôøi maïnh daïn.

14:9 And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.

14:9 Xeâ-raùch, ngöôøi EÂ-thi-oâ-bi keùo ñaïo binh moät traêm vaïn ngöôøi, vaø ba traêm coã xe, ra haõm ñaùnh ngöôøi Giu-ña, vaø ñi ñeán Ma-reâ-sa.

14:10 Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

14:10 A-sa ra ñoùn ngöôøi, daøn traän taïi trong truõng Xeâ-pha-ta, gaàn Ma-reâ-sa.

14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let no man prevail against you.

14:11 A-sa caàu khaån Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình, maø raèng: Laïy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi; chôù ñeå loaøi ngöôøi thaéng hôn Chuùa!

14:12 So the LORD stroke the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

14:12 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn ñaùnh daân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi taïi tröôùc maët daân Giu-ña vaø vua A-sa; quaân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi chaïy troán.

14:13 And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.

14:13 A-sa vaø quaân lính theo ngöôøi, ñeàu ñuoåi chuùng cho ñeán Gheâ-ra; quaân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi ngaõ cheát nhieàu, ñeán ñoãi chaúng coøn göôïng laïi ñöôïc, vì chuùng bò thua tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø ñaïo binh cuûa Ngaøi. Ngöôøi Giu-ña ñoaït ñöôïc cuûa giaëc raát nhieàu;

15:1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

15:1 Thaàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caûm ñoäng A-xa-ria, con trai cuûa OÂ-ñeát: ngöôøi ñi ra ñoùn A-sa, maø noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng:

15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear all of you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while all of you be with him; and if all of you seek him, he will be found of you; but if all of you forsake him, he will forsake you.

15:2 Hôõi A-sa, caû Giu-ña, vaø Beân-gia-min, haõy nghe lôøi ta: Caùc ngöôi theo Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chöøng naøo, thì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû vôùi caùc ngöôi chöøng naáy; neáu caùc ngöôi tìm Ngaøi, aét seõ gaëp Ngaøi ñöôïc; neáu caùc ngöôi lìa boû Ngaøi, thì Ngaøi seõ lìa boû caùc ngöôi.

15:3 Now for a long season Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

15:3 Ñaõ laâu ngaøy, Y-sô-ra-eân khoâng coù Chuùa thaät, khoâng coù thaày teá leã daïy doã, cuõng chaúng coù luaät phaùp;

15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

15:4 song trong luùc khoán khoù, chuùng trôû laïi cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, maø tìm caàu Ngaøi, thì laïi gaëp Ngaøi ñaëng.

15:5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

15:5 Trong khi aáy, daân cuûa xöù phaûi bò söï roái loaïn nhieàu, keû ra keû vaøo khoâng ñöôïc baèng yeân.

15:6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

15:6 Nöôùc naày giaøy ñaïp nöôùc kia, thaønh naøy giaøy ñaïo thaønh noï; vì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laáy ñuû thöù khoå naïn laøm cho chuùng roái loaïn.

15:7 Be all of you strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

15:7 Song caùc ngöôi haõy maïnh loøng, tay caùc ngöôi chôù nhaùt sôï, vì vieäc caùc ngöôi laøm seõ ñöôïc phaàn thöôûng.

15:8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.

15:8 Khi A-sa ñaõ nghe caùc lôøi naøy vaø lôøi tieân tri cuûa tieân tri OÂ-ñeát, thì giuïc loøng maïnh meõ, beøn tröø boû nhöõng thaàn töôïng gôùm ghieác khoûi caû ñaát Giu-ña vaø Beân-gia-min, cuøng khoûi caùc thaønh ngöôøi ñaõ ñoaït laáy treân mieàn nuùi Eùp-ra-im; ngöôøi tu boå laïi caùi baøn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû tröôùc hieân cöûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

15:9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

15:9 Ngöôøi nhoùm hieäp heát thaûy ngöôøi Giu-ña, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, vaø keû khaùch thuoäc veà chi phaùi Eùp-ra-im, Ma-na-se, vaø Si-meâ-oân, vaãn kieàu nguï vôùi chuùng; vì coù nhieàu ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân khi thaáy raèng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa A-sa ôû cuøng ngöôøi, thì ñeàu veà ñaèng ngöôøi.

15:10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

15:10 Thaùng ba naêm möôøi laêm ñôøi A-sa, chuùng nhoùm hieäp taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem;

15:13 vaø heã ai khoâng tìm kieám Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, thì seõ bò xöû töû voâ luaän nhoû hay lôùn, nam hay nöõ.

15:14 And they swore unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

15:14 Chuùng caát tieáng lôùn maø theà cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, reo möøng, thoåi keøn, thoåi coøi.

15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

15:15 Caû Giu-ña ñeàu vui möøng veà lôøi theà aáy, vì chuùng heát loøng maø phaùt theà, vaø heát yù tìm caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; roài chuùng tìm gaëp Ngaøi ñaëng. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn ban cho chuùng ñöôïc bình an boán phía.

15:16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

15:16 Vaû laïi, vì Ma -a-ca, meï vua A-sa loät chöùc thaùi haäu cuûa baø, ñaùnh ñoå hình töôïng aáy vaø nghieàn naùt ñi, roài thieâu ñoát trong truõng Xeát-roân.

15:17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

15:17 Song caùc nôi cao khoâng phaù dôõ khoûi Y-sô-ra-eân; daàu vaäy, loøng A-sa vaãn troïn laønh caû ñôøi ngöôøi.

15:18 And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

15:18 Ngöôøi ñem vaøo ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va caùc vaät thaùnh cuûa cha ngöôøi, vaø nhöõng vaät maø chính mình ngöôøi ñaõ bieät rieâng ra thaùnh, hoaëc vaøng, hoaëc baïc, hay laø nhöõng khí duïng.

15:19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

15:19 Chaúng coù giaëc giaõ cho ñeán naêm thöù ba möôi laêm ñôøi A-sa.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

16:1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

16:1 Naêm thöù ba möôi saùu ñôøi A-sa, Ba-eâ-ba, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, ñi leân ñaùnh Giu-ña, caát ñoàn luõy Ra-ma, ñeå laøm cho daân söï cuûa A-sa, vua Giu-ña, khoâng ra vaøo ñöôïc.

16:2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

16:2 Khi aáy A-sa laáy baïc vaøng ôû trong kho cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø trong kho cuûa cung vua, gôûi ñeán Beân-Ha-ñaùt, vua Sy-ri, ôû taïi Ña-maùch, maø raèng:

16:3 There is a league between me and you, as there was between my father and your father: behold, I have sent you silver and gold; go, break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

16:3 Chuùng ta haõy laäp giao öôùc vôùi nhau, y nhö thaân phuï cuûa toâi vaø thaân phuï cuûa oâng ñaõ laøm. Kìa, toâi gôûi daâng cho oâng baïc vaø vaøng: haõy ñi huûy öôùc cuûa oâng vôùi Ba-eâ-ba, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, ñeå ngöôøi xa khoûi toâi.

16:4 And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they stroke Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.

16:4 Beân-Ha-ñaùt nghe theo lôøi vua A-sa, beøn sai caùc töôùng ñaïo binh mình ñi haõm ñaùnh caùc thaønh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, chieám laáy Y-gioân, Ñan, A-beân-Ma-im, cuøng caùc thaønh kho taøng cuûa ñaát Neùp-ta-li.

16:5 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.

16:5 Xaûy khi Ba-eâ-ba hay ñieàu ñoù, lieàn thoâi xaây ñoàn Ra-ma vaø baõi coâng vieäc.

16:6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

16:6 Vua A-sa beøn nhoùm heát thaûy ngöôøi Giu-ña; chuùng laáy ñem ñi ñaù vaø goã maø Ba-eâ-ba ñaõ duøng xaây caát Ra-ma; roài A-sa duøng ñoà aáy xaây caát Gheâ-ba vaø Mích-ba.

16:7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD your God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of yours hand.

16:7 Trong khi aáy, ñaáng tieân kieán Ha-na-ni ñeán cuøng A-sa, vua Giu-ña, maø noùi raèng: Bôûi vì vua nöông caäy vua Sy-ri, khoâng nöông caäy nôi Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa oâng, neân ñaïo quaân vua Sy-ri ñaõ thoaùt khoûi tay oâng.

16:8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because you did rely on the LORD, he delivered them into yours hand.

16:8 Daân EÂ-thi-oâ-bi vaø daân Li-by haù chaúng phaûi moät ñaïo quaân ñoâng laém sao? Xe vaø lính kî hoï haù chaúng phaûi nhieàu laém ö? Daãu vaäy, bôûi vua nhôø caäy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, neân Ngaøi phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay vua.

16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from henceforth you shall have wars.

16:9 Vì con maét cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va soi xeùt khaép theá gian, ñaëng giuùp söùc cho keû naøo coù loøng troïn thaønh ñoái vôùi Ngaøi. Trong vieäc naøy vua coù cö xöû caùch daïi doät, neân töø naøy veà sau vua seõ coù giaëc giaõ.

16:10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.

16:10 A-sa noåi giaän ñaáng tieân kieán, ñem caàm tuø ngöôøi; vì taïi vieäc aáy, vua töùc giaän ngöôøi laém. Trong luùc ñoù, A-sa cuõng haø hieáp maáy ngöôøi cuûa daân söï.

16:11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

16:12 Naêm thöù ba möôi chín ñôøi A-sa trò vì, A-sa bò ñau chôn, ñeán ñoãi naëng laém; trong côn bònh ngöôøi khoâng tìm kieám Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, nhöng tìm kieám nhöõng thaày thuoác.

16:14 And they buried him in his own sepulchers, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' are: and they made a very great burning for him.

16:14 Ngöôøi ta choân ngöôøi nôi moà maû chính ngöôøi ñaõ ñaøo cho mình trong thaønh Ña-vít, ñeå ngöôøi naèm treân moät caùi giöôøng ñaày thuoác thôm, cheá theo pheùp hoøa höông; ñoaïn ngöôøi ta xoâng höông cho ngöôøi raát nhieàu.

17:3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

17:3 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû cuøng Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vì ngöôøi ñi theo ñöôøng loái ñaàu tieân cuûa Ña-vít, toå phuï mình, khoâng tìm caàu thaàn Ba-anh,

17:5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

17:5 Vì vaäy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khieán nöôùc vöõng chaéc trong tay ngöôøi; caû Giu-ña daâng leã vaät cho Gioâ-sa-phaùt, ngöôøi ñöôïc cuûa caûi nhieàu vaø söï vinh hieån lôùn.

18:3 A-haùp, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, noùi vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, raèng: Vua muoán ñeán cuøng toâi haõm ñaùnh Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Toâi cuõng nhö vua; daân söï toâi cuõng nhö daân söï vua; toâi seõ cuøng vua ñi chinh chieán.

18:4 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray you, at the word of the LORD to day.

18:4 Gioâ-sa-phaùt laïi noùi vôùi vua Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Toâi xin vua haõy caàn vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va tröôùc ñaõ.

18:5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king's hand.

18:5 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân nhoùm caùc tieân tri, soá laø boán traêm ngöôøi, maø hoûi raèng: Chuùng ta coù neân ñaùnh Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt, hay laø chaúng neân? Chuùng ñaùp raèng: Haõy ñi leân; Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi seõ phoù noù vaøo tay vua.

18:6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

18:6 Nhöng Gioâ-sa-phaùt tieáp raèng: ÔÛ ñaây, coøn coù moät ñaáng tieân tri naøo khaùc cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñeå chuùng ta hoûi ngöôøi aáy chaêng?

18:7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

18:7 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùp vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt raèng: Coøn coù moät ngöôøi teân laø Mi-cheâ con trai cuûa Gieâm-la, nhôø ngöôøi aáy ta coù theå caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; nhöng toâi gheùt ngöôøi, vì ngöôøi khoâng heà noùi tieân tri laønh veà toâi, beøn laø döõ luoân. Gioâ-sa-phaùt noùi: Xin vua chôù noùi nhö vaäy!

18:8 And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.

18:8 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân beøn goïi moät hoaïn quan ñeán maø baûo raèng: Haõy ñoøi Mi-cheâ, con trai Gieâm-la, ñeán laäp töùc.

18:9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

18:9 Vaû, vua Y-sô-ra-eân vaø Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, moãi ngöôøi ñeàu maëc ñoà trieàu phuïc, ñöông ngoài treân ngai mình, ôû nôi saân ñaïp luùa taïi cöûa thaønh Sa-ma-ri; coøn heát thaûy caùc tieân tri noùi tieân tri ôû tröôùc maët hai vua.

18:10 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus says the LORD, With these you shall push Syria until they be consumed.

18:10 Seâ-ñeâ-kia, con trai Keâ-na-na, laøm laáy nhöõng söøng baèng saét, vaø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Vôùi caùc söøng naày, vua seõ baùng daân Sy-ri cho ñeán khi dieät heát chuùng noù.

18:11 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

18:11 Caùc tieân tri ñeàu noùi moät caùch maø raèng: Haõy ñi leân ñaùnh Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt; vua seõ ñöôïc thaéng, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ phaù thaønh aáy vaøo tay vua.

18:12 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let your word therefore, I pray you, be like one of their's, and speak you good.

18:12 Vaû, söù giaû ñaõ ñi ñoøi Mi-cheâ, noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Naày nhöõng tieân tri ñeàu ñoàng thinh baùo caùo söï laønh cho vua; vaäy toâi xin oâng cuõng haõy laáy lôøi nhö lôøi cuûa hoï maø baùo caùo ñieàu laønh.

18:13 And Micaiah said, As the LORD lives, even what my God says, that will I speak.

18:13 Nhöng Mi-cheâ ñaùp raèng: Nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, heã söï gì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ta seõ phaùn daën, thì ta seõ noùi cho.

18:14 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go all of you up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.

18:14 Khi ngöôøi ñaõ ñeán cuøng vua, vua beøn hoûi raèng: Hôõi Mi-cheâ, chuùng ta coù neân haõm ñaùnh Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt, hay laø chaúng neân ñi? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Haõy ñi leân, vua seõ ñöôïc thaéng; chuùng noù seõ bò phoù vaøo tay hai vua.

18:15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?

18:15 Vua noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Bieát bao laàn ta ñaõ laáy lôøi theà buoäc ngöôi nhôn danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va noùi chôn thaät vôùi ta?

18:16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.

18:16 Mi-cheâ ñaùp: Toâi thaáy caû Y-sô-ra-eân taûn laïc treân caùc nuùi nhö baày chieân khoâng coù ngöôøi chaên; vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn raèng: Nhöõng keû aáy khoâng coù chuû, ai naáy haõy trôû veà nhaø mình bình an.

18:17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?

18:17 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân noùi vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt raèng: Toâi haù chaúng coù noùi vôùi vua raèng ngöôøi khoâng noùi tieân tri ñieàu laønh veà vieäc toâi, beøn laø ñieàu döõ sao?

18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

18:18 Mi-cheâ laïi tieáp: Vaäy, haõy nhe lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Toâi thaáy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ngöï treân ngoâi Ngaøi, coøn caû ñaïo binh treân trôøi ñöùng chaàu beân höõu vaø beân taû.

18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spoke saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.

18:19 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Ai seõ ñi duï A-haùp, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, ñeå ngöôøi ñi leân Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt maø ngaõ cheát ôû ñoù? Roài ngöôøi noùi caùch naøy, keû noùi caùch khaùc.

18:20 Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?

18:20 Baáy giôø, coù moät thaàn ñi ra, ñöùng tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø thöa raèng: Toâi seõ ñi duï ngöôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn hoûi: Duï laøm sao?

18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, You shall entice him, and you shall also prevail: go out, and do even so.

18:21 Thaàn thöa laïi raèng: Toâi seõ ñi ra laøm moät thaàn noùi doái trong mieäng caùc tieân tri cuûa ngöôøi. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Phaûi, ngöôi seõ duï ngöôøi ñöôïc: Haõy ñi, laøm nhö lôøi.

18:22 Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and the LORD has spoken evil against you.

18:22 Vaäy baây giôø, haõy xem Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñaët moät thaàn noùi doái trong mieäng caùc tieân tri cuûa vua, vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn seõ giaùng hoïa treân vua.

18:23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and stroke Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto you?

18:23 Seâ-ñeâ-kia, con trai cuûa Keâ-na-na, ñi ñeán gaàn, vaû Mi-cheâ nôi maù, maø raèng: Thaàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù töø khoûi ta maø ñi ngaû naøo ñaëng maùch baûo cho ngöôi?

18:24 And Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see on that day when you shall go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.

18:24 Mi-cheâ ñaùp: Kìa, trong ngaøy ngöôi chaïy töø phoøng naøy qua phoøng kia ñaëng aån laùnh, thì seõ bieát ñieàu ñoù.

18:25 Then the king of Israel said, Take all of you Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;

18:25 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân truyeàn lònh raèng: Haõy baét Mi-cheâ daãn ñeán A-moân, laø quan cai thaønh, vaø cho Gioâ-aùch, con trai cuûa vua,

18:26 And say, Thus says the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.

18:26 roài haõy noùi: Vua baûo nhö vaày: Haõy boû tuø ngöôøi naøy, laáy baùnh vaø nöôùc khoå naïn maø nuoâi noù cho ñeán khi ta trôû veà bình an.

18:27 And Micaiah said, If you certainly return in peace, then has not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all you people.

18:27 Mi-cheâ beøn noùi: Neáu vua trôû veà bình an, aét Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khoâng coù caäy toâi phaùn. Ngöôøi laïi noùi: Hôõi chuùng daân, heát thaûy haõy nghe ñieàu ñoù!

18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

18:28 Vaäy, vua Y-sô-ra-eân vaø Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, ñoàng ñi leân Ra-moát taïi ga-la-aùt.

18:29 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and I will go to the battle; but put you on your robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.

18:29 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân noùi vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt raèng: Toâi seõ caûi daïng aên maëc, roài ra traän; coøn vua, haõy maëc aùo xoáng vua. Vua Y-sô-ra-eân beøn aên maëc caûi daïng, roài hai ngöôøi ñi ra traän.

18:30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight all of you not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel.

18:30 Vaû, vua Sy-ri coù truyeàn lònh cho caùc quan cai xe mình raèng: Chôù aùp ñaùnh ai hoaëc nhoû hay lôùn, nhöng chæ moät mình vua Y-sô-ra-eân maø thoâi,

18:31 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

18:31 Xaûy khi caùc quan cai xe thaáy Gioâ-sa-phaùt, thì noùi raèng: Aáy laø vua Y-sô-ra-eân. Chuùng beøn xaây laïi ñaëng aùp ñaùnh ngöôøi. Gioâ-sa-phaùt keâu la lôùn, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va tieáp cöùu ngöôøi, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khieán chuùng dang xa khoûi ngöôøi.

18:32 For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.

18:32 Vaäy, xaûy khi caùc quan cai xe thaáy chaúng phaûi vua Y-sô-ra-eân, thì thoái laïi chaúng ñuoåi theo nöõa.

18:33 And a certain man drew a bow at random, and stroke the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn yours hand, that you may carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

18:33 Baáy giôø, coù moät ngöôøi tình côø giöông cung baén vua Y-sô-ra-eân truùng nhaèm vua nôi moái giaùp ñaâu laïi; A-haùp noùi vôùi ngöôøi ñaùnh xe mình raèng: Haõy quay cöông laïi ñem ta ra khoûi haøng quaân, vì ta bò thöông naëng.

18:34 And the battle increased that day: nevertheless the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.

18:34 Trong ngaøy ñoù theá traän caøng theâm döõ doäi; song vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñöùng vòn treân xe mình, ñoái maët cuøng daân Sy-ri, cho ñeán buoåi chieàu; ngöôøi cheát vaøo loái maët trôøi laën.

19:1 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.

19:1 Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, trôû veà bình an nôi cung mình taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Should you help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon you from before the LORD.

19:2 Gieâ-hu, con trai cuûa Ha-na-ni, ñaáng tieân kieán, ñi ra ñoùn vua Gioâ-sa-phaùt, maø noùi raèng: Vua haù giuùp ñôõ keû hung aùc, vaø thöông meán keû ghen gheùt Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va sao? Bôûi côù ñoù, coù côn giaän cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeán treân vua.

19:3 Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have taken away the groves out of the land, and have prepared yours heart to seek God.

19:3 Nhöng trong vua coù ñieàu laønh, vì vua coù tröø dieät khoûi xöù nhöõng thaàn A-seâ-ra, vaø raép loøng tìm caàu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

19:4 And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.

19:5 And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,

19:6 And said to the judges, Take heed what all of you do: for all of you judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.

19:6 Roài ngöôøi baûo caùc quan xeùt raèng: Haõy caån thaän vieäc caùc ngöôøi laøm; vì chaúng phaûi vì loaøi ngöôøi maø caùc ngöôi xeùt ñoaùn ñaâu, beøn laø vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; Ngaøi seõ ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi trong vieäc xeùt ñoaùn.

19:7 Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

19:7 Vaäy baây giôø, phaûi kính sôï Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, khaù caån thaän maø laøm; vì Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng ta chaúng traùi pheùp coâng bình, chaúng thieân vò ngöôøi, chaúng nhaän cuûa hoái loä.

19:8 Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.

19:8 Laïi Gioâ-sa-phaùt cuõng choïn maáy ngöôøi Leâ-vi, thaày teá leã vaø tröôûng toäc cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, ñaët hoï taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñaëng vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø ñoaùn xeùt vaø phaân xöû vieäc kieän caùo. Chuùng ñeàu trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

 2 Su ky - 2 Chronicles

20:1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

20:1 Sau caùc vieäc naøy, xaûy coù daân Moâ-aùp, daân Am-moân, vaø nhöõng ngöôøi Mao-nít ôû cuøng hoï, keùo ñeán ñaëng ñaùnh giaëc vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt

20:2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There comes a great multitude against you from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

20:2 Baáy giôø, coù ngöôøi ñeán thuaät cho Gioâ-sa-phaùt, maø raèng: Coù moät ñaùm quaân raát ñoâng töø beân bôø kia cuûa bieån, töø nöôùc Sy-ri, maø ñeán haïm ñaùnh vua; kìa chuùng ñöông ôû taïi Haùt-saùt-son-Tha-ma, cuõng goïi laø Eân-gheâ-ñi.

20:3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

20:3 Gioâ-sa-phaùt sôï haõi, vaø rao khaép xöù Giu-ña phaûi kieâng aên moät ngaøy.

20:4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

20:6 maø caàu nguyeän raèng: Laïy Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï chuùng toâi! Ngaøi haù chaúng phaûi laø Chuùa ôû treân caùc töøng trôøi sao? Haù chaúng phaûi Ñaáng quaûn trò muoân daân muoân nöôùc sao? ÔÛ nôi tay Chuùa coù quyeàn theá naêng löïc, chaúng ai choáng traû Chuùa cho noåi.

20:7 Are not you our God, who did drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and gave it to the seed of Abraham your friend for ever?

20:9 If, when evil comes upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in your presence, (for your name is in this house,) and cry unto you in our affliction, then you will hear and help.

20:9 Neáu tai hoïa giaùng treân chuùng toâi, hoaëc göôm giaùo, hoaëc söï ñoaùn phaït, hoaëc dòch haïch, hay laø côn ñoùi keùm, thì chuùng toâi seõ ñöùng tröôùc ñeàn naøy vaø tröôùc maët Chuùa (vì danh Chuùa ôû trong ñeàn naøy), maø keâu caàu Chuùa trong söï gian nan chuùng toâi, thì Chuùa seõ duû nghe vaø giaûi cöùu cho.

20:10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

20:12 O our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon you.

20:12 Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi oâi, chôù thì Ngaøi seõ khoâng xeùt ñoaùn chuùng noù sao? Vì nôi chuùng toâi chaúng coøn söùc löïc gì ñoái ñòch cuøng ñaùm quaân ñoâng ñaûo naøy ñöông ñeán haõm ñaùnh chuùng toâi, vaø chuùng toâi cuõng khoâng bieát ñieàu gì mình phaûi laøm; nhöng con maét chuùng toâi ngöûa troâng Chuùa!

20:13 And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

20:13 Caû Giu-ña ñeàu ñöùng taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vôùi caùc ñöùa nhoû, vôï, vaø con caùi mình.

20:14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

20:14 Baáy giôø, taïi giöõa hoäi chuùng, Thaàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va caûm ñoäng Gia-ha-xi-eân, con trai Xa-cha-ri, chaùu Beâ-na-gia, chaét Gieâ-hi-eân, chít Ma-tha-nia, laø ngöôøi Leâ-vi thuoäc veà doøng A-saùp,

20:15 And he said, Hearken all of you, all Judah, and all of you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat, Thus says the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

20:15 maø phaùn raèng: Hôõi caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø daân cö thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, cuøng vua Gioâ-sa-phaùt, haõy nghe! Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cho caùc ngöôi nhö vaày: Chôù sôï, chôù kinh haõi bôûi côù ñaùm quaân ñoâng ñaûo naøy: vì traän giaëc naøy chaúng phaûi cuûa caùc ngöôi ñaâu, beøn laø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

20:16 Tomorrow go all of you down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and all of you shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

20:16 Ngaøy mai, haõy ñi xuoáng ñoùn chuùng noù: kìa, chuùng noù ñi leân doác Xít, caùc ngöôi seõ gaëp chuùng noù nôi ñaàu truõng, tröôùc maët ñoàng vaéng Gieâ-ru-eân.

20:17 All of you shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand all of you still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

20:17 Trong traän naøy caùc ngöôi seõ chaúng caàn gì tranh chieán; haõy daøn ra, ñöùng yeân laëng maø xem thaáy söï giaûi cöùu cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi. Hôõi Giu-ña vaø Gieâ-ru-sa-lem! chôù sôï, chôù kinh haõi; ngaøy mai, haõy ñi ra ñoùn chuùng noù, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi.

20:18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

20:18 Gioâ-sa-phaùt beøn cuùi saáp maët xuoáng ñaát; vaø caû Giu-ña vaø daân cö thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeàu saáp maët xuoáng tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø thôø laïy Ngaøi.

20:19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20:19 Ngöôøi Leâ-vi veà doøng Keâ-haùt vaø veà doøng Coâ-reâ ñeàu ñöùng daäy caát tieáng lôùn maø khen ngôïi Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân.

20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and all of you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall all of you be established; believe his prophets, so shall all of you prosper.

20:20 Buoåi sôùm mai, chuùng ñeàu choåi daäy thaät sôùm, keùo ra ñoàng vaéng Theâ-coâ -a; ñöông luùc chuùng ñi, Gioâ-sa-phaùt ñöùng taïi ñoù, maø noùi raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø daân cö thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem! haõy nghe ta: Khaù tin caäy Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi caùc ngöôi, thì caùc ngöôi seõ vöõng chaéc; haõy tin caùc ñaáng tieân tri Ngaøi, thì caùc ngöôi seõ ñöôïc may maén.

20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endures for ever.

20:21 Khi ngöôøi ñaõ baøn nghò vôùi daân söï, beøn laäp nhöõng ngöôøi ca xöôùng cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maëc aùo leã thaùnh maø ñi ra tröôùc cô binh ngôïi khen Chuùa raèng: Haõy ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vì söï thöông xoùt Ngaøi haèng coù ñôøi ñôøi.

20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

20:22 Ñöông luùc chuùng khôûi ca haùt vaø ngôïi khen thì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaët phuïc binh xoâng vaøo daân Am-moân, daân Moâ-aùp vaø nhöõng keû ôû nuùi Seâ -i-rô ñaõ ñeán haõm ñaùnh Giu-ña; vaø caùc daân aáy ñeàu bò baïi.

20:23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

20:23 Daân Am-moân vaø daân Moâ-aùp daáy leân ñaùnh daân ôû nuùi Seâ -i-rô, ñaëng dieät chuùng noù ñi; khi ñaõ dieät daân ôû Seâ -i-rô roài, thì chuùng laïi trôû gieát laãn nhau.

20:24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

20:24 Khi daân Giu-ña ñeán thaùp canh nôi ñoàng vaéng, nhìn ñeán ñaùm quaân ñoâng ñaûo, thì thaáy nhöõng thaây naèm saõi treân ñaát, chaúng coù moät ai thoaùt khoûi ñöôïc.

20:25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

20:25 Gioâ-sa-phaùt vaø daân söï ngöôøi ñeán cöôùp laáy taøi vaät cuûa chuùng, thaáy coù nhieàu cuûa caûi, xaùc cheát, vaø ñoà quí baùu, beøn cöôùp laáy cho ñeán chöøng ñem ñi khoâng ñaëng; hoï cöôùp laáy taøi vaät trong ba ngaøy, vì laø raát nhieàu.

20:26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

20:26 Qua ngaøy thöù tö, hoï nhoùm hieäp taïi truõng Beâ-ra-ca ñaët teân choã ñoù laø truõng Beâ-ra-ca cho ñeán, ngaøy nay.

20:27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

20:27 Heát thaûy ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø ngöôøi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem cuøng Gioâ-sa-phaùt ñi ñaàu tröôùc, trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem caùch vui veû; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm cho chuùng vui möøng, vì côù quaân thuø nghòch mình bò ñaùnh baïi.

20:28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

20:28 Chuùng gaûy ñôøn caàm, ñôøn saét, vaø thoåi saùo maø trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñeán ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

20:29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

20:29 Khi caùc nöôùc thieân haï nghe Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñaùnh baïi quaân thuø nghòch cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, thì laáy laøm kinh haõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

20:30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

20:30 Vaäy, nöôùc cuûa Gioâ-sa-phaùt ñöôïc hoøa bình, vì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôøi ban cho ngöôøi söï an nghæ boán beân.

20:31 And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

20:31 Vaäy, Gioâ-sa-phaùt laøm vua nöôùc Giu-ña; khi leân ngoâi thì tuoåi ñöôïc ba möôi laêm, vaø ngöôøi cai trò hai möôi laêm naêm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; teân meï ngöôøi laø A-xu-ba, con gaùi cuûa Si-li.

20:32 And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

20:32 Ngöôøi ñi theo con ñöôøng cuûa A-sa, cha ngöôøi, khoâng lìa boû, laøm ñieàu ngay thaúng tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

20:33 Nevertheless the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

20:33 Song ngöôøi khoâng tröø boû caùc nôi cao, vaø daân söï chöa doác loøng tìm caàu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï mình.

20:34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

20:34 Caùc coâng vieäc khaùc cuûa Gioâ-sa-phaùt töø ñaàu ñeán cuoái, ñeàu cheùp tong truyeän Gieâ-hu, con trai Ha-na-ni, vaø truyeän aáy ñaõ ñem vaøo saùch caùc vua Y-sô-ra-eân.

20:35 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

20:35 Sau vieäc ñoù, Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, keát giao vôùi A-cha-xia, vua Y-sô-ra-eân; ngöôøi naøy aên ôû raát gian aùc.

20:36 And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.

20:36 Hai vua hoäi hieäp nhau ñaëng ñoùng taøu vöôït ñi Ta-reâ-si; hoï ñoùng taøu taïi EÂ-xi-oân-Gheâ-be.

20:37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has broken your works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

20:37 Khi aáy, EÂ-li-eâ-xe, con trai Ñoâ-ña-va ôû Ma-reâ-sa, noùi tieân tri veà vua Gioâ-sa-phaùt, maø raèng: Bôûi vì vua keát giao vôùi A-cha-xia, neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ huûy phaù coâng vieäc vua; nhöõng taøu beøn bò beå naùt, khoâng vöôït ñi Ta-reâ-si ñöôïc.
