1:1 The wise sayings of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.

1:2 To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason:

1:3 ÁöÇý·Ó°Ô, ÀÇ·Ó°Ô, °øÆòÇÏ°Ô, Á¤Á÷ÇÏ°Ô, ÇàÇÒ ÀÏ¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© Èư踦 ¹Þ°Ô Çϸç

1:3 To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour:

1:4 ¾î¸®¼®Àº ÀÚ·Î ½½±â·Ó°Ô Çϸç ÀþÀº ÀÚ¿¡°Ô Áö½Ä°ú ±Ù½ÅÇÔÀ» ÁÖ±â À§ÇÑ °ÍÀÌ´Ï

1:4 To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose:

1:5 ÁöÇý ÀÖ´Â ÀÚ´Â µè°í ÇнÄÀÌ ´õÇÒ °ÍÀÌ¿ä ¸íöÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ¸ð·«À» ¾òÀ» °ÍÀ̶ó

1:5 (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:)

1:6 Àá¾ð°ú ºñÀ¯¿Í ÁöÇý ÀÖ´Â ÀÚÀÇ ¸»°ú ±× ¿À¹¦ÇÑ ¸»À» ±ú´ÞÀ¸¸®¶ó

1:6 To get the sense of wise sayings and secrets, and of the words of the wise and their dark sayings.

1:7 ¡Û ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ °æ¿ÜÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ Áö½ÄÀÇ ±Ùº»À̾î´Ã ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ÁöÇý¿Í Èư踦 ¸ê½ÃÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó

1:7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.

1:8 ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ³× ¾ÆºñÀÇ Èư踦 µéÀ¸¸ç ³× ¾î¹ÌÀÇ ¹ýÀ» ¶°³ªÁö ¸»¶ó

1:8 My son, give ear to the training of your father, and do not give up the teaching of your mother:

1:9 ÀÌ´Â ³× ¸Ó¸®ÀÇ ¾Æ¸§´Ù¿î °üÀÌ¿ä ³× ¸ñÀÇ ±Ý »ç½½À̴϶ó

1:9 For they will be a crown of grace for your head, and chain-ornaments about your neck.

1:10 ¡Û ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÚ°¡ ³Ê¸¦ ²ÔÁö¶óµµ ÁÀÁö ¸»¶ó

1:10 My son, if sinners would take you out of the right way, do not go with them.

1:11 ±×µéÀÌ ³×°Ô ¸»Çϱ⸦ ¿ì¸®¿Í ÇÔ²² °¡ÀÚ ¿ì¸®°¡ °¡¸¸È÷ ¾þµå·È´Ù°¡ »ç¶÷ÀÇ ÇǸ¦ È긮ÀÚ ÁË ¾ø´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ±î´ß ¾øÀÌ ¼û¾î ±â´Ù¸®´Ù°¡

1:11 If they say, Come with us; let us make designs against the good, waiting secretly for the upright, without cause;

1:12 À½ºÎ °°ÀÌ ±×µéÀ» »ê ä·Î »ïÅ°¸ç ¹«´ý¿¡ ³»·Á°¡´Â ÀÚ °°°Ô ÅëÀ¸·Î »ïÅ°ÀÚ

1:12 Let us overcome them living, like the underworld, and in their strength, as those who go down to death;

1:13 ¿ì¸®°¡ ¿Â°® º¸È­¸¦ ¾òÀ¸¸ç »©¾ÑÀº °ÍÀ¸·Î ¿ì¸® Áý¿¡ ä¿ì¸®´Ï

1:13 Goods of great price will be ours, our houses will be full of wealth;

1:14 ³Ê´Â ¿ì¸®¿Í ÇÔ²² Á¦ºñ¸¦ »Ì°í ¿ì¸®°¡ ÇÔ²² Àü´ë Çϳª¸¸ µÎÀÚ ÇÒÁö¶óµµ

1:14 Take your chance with us, and we will all have one money-bag:

1:15 ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ±×µé°ú ÇÔ²² ±æ¿¡ ´Ù´ÏÁö ¸»¶ó ³× ¹ßÀ» ±ÝÇÏ¿© ±× ±æÀ» ¹âÁö ¸»¶ó

1:15 My son, do not go with them; keep your feet from their ways:

1:16 ´ëÀú ±× ¹ßÀº ¾ÇÀ¸·Î ´Þ·Á°¡¸ç ÇǸ¦ È긮´Â µ¥ ºü¸§À̴϶ó

1:16 For their feet are running after evil, and they are quick to take a man's life.

1:17 ¹«¸© »õ°¡ ±×¹° Ä¡´Â °ÍÀ» º¸¸é ÇêÀÏÀÌ°Ú°Å´Ã

1:17 Truly, to no purpose is the net stretched out before the eyes of the bird:

1:18 ±×µéÀÇ °¡¸¸È÷ ¾þµå¸²Àº ÀÚ±âÀÇ ÇǸ¦ È긱 »ÓÀÌ¿ä ¼û¾î ±â´Ù¸²Àº ÀÚ±âÀÇ »ý¸íÀ» ÇØÇÒ »ÓÀÌ´Ï

1:18 And they are secretly waiting for their blood and making ready destruction for themselves.

1:19 ¹«¸© À̸¦ ŽÇÏ´Â ÀÚÀÇ ±æÀº ´Ù ÀÌ·¯ÇÏ¿© ÀÚ±âÀÇ »ý¸íÀ» ÀÒ°Ô ÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó

1:19 Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.

1:20 ¡Û ÁöÇý°¡ ±æ°Å¸®¿¡¼­ ºÎ¸£¸ç ±¤Àå¿¡¼­ ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ³ôÀ̸ç

1:20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places;

1:21 ÈÍÈ­ÇÏ´Â ±æ ¸Ó¸®¿¡¼­ ¼Ò¸®¸¦ Áö¸£¸ç ¼º¹® ¾î±Í¿Í ¼ºÁß¿¡¼­ ±× ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ¹ßÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ

1:21 Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town:

1:22 ³ÊÈñ ¾î¸®¼®Àº ÀÚµéÀº ¾î¸®¼®À½À» ÁÁ¾ÆÇÏ¸ç °Å¸¸ÇÑ ÀÚµéÀº °Å¸¸À» ±â»µÇÏ¸ç ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ ÀÚµéÀº Áö½ÄÀ» ¹Ì¿öÇÏ´Ï ¾î´À ¶§±îÁö ÇÏ°Ú´À³Ä

1:22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?

1:23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.

1:24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand;

1:25 µµ¸®¾î ³ªÀÇ ¸ðµç ±³ÈÆÀ» ¸ê½ÃÇÏ¸ç ³ªÀÇ Ã¥¸ÁÀ» ¹ÞÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´ÀºÁï

1:25 You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:

1:26 ³ÊÈñ°¡ Àç¾ÓÀ» ¸¸³¯ ¶§¿¡ ³»°¡ ¿ôÀ» °ÍÀÌ¸ç ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô µÎ·Á¿òÀÌ ÀÓÇÒ ¶§¿¡ ³»°¡ ºñ¿ôÀ¸¸®¶ó

1:26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear;

1:27 ³ÊÈñÀÇ µÎ·Á¿òÀÌ ±¤Ç³ °°ÀÌ ÀÓÇÏ°Ú°í ³ÊÈñÀÇ Àç¾ÓÀÌ Æødz °°ÀÌ À̸£°Ú°í ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ±Ù½É°ú ½½ÇÄÀÌ ÀÓÇϸ®´Ï

1:27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.

1:28 ±× ¶§¿¡ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ª¸¦ ºÎ¸£¸®¶ó ±×·¡µµ ³»°¡ ´ë´äÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°Ú°í ºÎÁö·±È÷ ³ª¸¦ ãÀ¸¸®¶ó ±×·¡µµ ³ª¸¦ ¸¸³ªÁö ¸øÇϸ®´Ï

1:28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me:

1:29 ´ëÀú ³ÊÈñ°¡ Áö½ÄÀ» ¹Ì¿öÇÏ¸ç ¿©È£¿Í °æ¿ÜÇϱ⸦ Áñ°Å¿öÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϸç

1:29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord:

1:30 ³ªÀÇ ±³ÈÆÀ» ¹ÞÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ³ªÀÇ ¸ðµç Ã¥¸ÁÀ» ¾÷½Å¿©°åÀ½À̶ó

1:30 They had no desire for my teaching, and my words of protest were as nothing to them.

1:31 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ÀÚ±â ÇàÀ§ÀÇ ¿­¸Å¸¦ ¸ÔÀ¸¸ç Àڱ⠲ҿ¡ ¹èºÎ¸£¸®¶ó

1:31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full.

1:32 ¾î¸®¼®Àº ÀÚÀÇ Å𺸴 Àڱ⸦ Á×ÀÌ¸ç ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ ¾ÈÀÏÀº Àڱ⸦ ¸ê¸Á½ÃÅ°·Á´Ï¿Í

1:32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace of the foolish will be their destruction.

1:33 ¿ÀÁ÷ ³ª¸¦ µè´Â ÀÚ´Â ¾È¿¬È÷ »ì¸ç Àç¾ÓÀÇ µÎ·Á¿òÀÌ ¾øÀÌ Æò¾ÈÇϸ®¶ó

1:33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil.

2:1 ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ³×°¡ ¸¸ÀÏ ³ªÀÇ ¸»À» ¹ÞÀ¸¸ç ³ªÀÇ °è¸íÀ» ³×°Ô °£Á÷Çϸç

2:1 My son, if you will take my words to your heart, storing up my laws in your mind;

2:2 ³× ±Í¸¦ ÁöÇý¿¡ ±â¿ïÀÌ¸ç ³× ¸¶À½À» ¸íö¿¡ µÎ¸ç

2:2 So that your ear gives attention to wisdom, and your heart is turned to knowledge;

2:3 Áö½ÄÀ» ºÒ·¯ ±¸ÇÏ¸ç ¸íöÀ» ¾òÀ¸·Á°í ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ³ôÀ̸ç

2:3 Truly, if you are crying out for good sense, and your request is for knowledge;

2:4 ÀºÀ» ±¸ÇÏ´Â °Í °°ÀÌ ±×°ÍÀ» ±¸ÇÏ¸ç °¨ÃßÀÎ º¸¹è¸¦ ã´Â °Í °°ÀÌ ±×°ÍÀ» ãÀ¸¸é

2:4 If you are looking for her as for silver, and searching for her as for stored-up wealth;

2:5 ¿©È£¿Í °æ¿ÜÇϱ⸦ ±ú´ÞÀ¸¸ç Çϳª´ÔÀ» ¾Ë°Ô µÇ¸®´Ï

2:5 Then the fear of the Lord will be clear to you, and knowledge of God will be yours.

2:6 ´ëÀú ¿©È£¿Í´Â ÁöÇý¸¦ Áֽøç Áö½Ä°ú ¸íöÀ» ±× ÀÔ¿¡¼­ ³»½ÉÀ̸ç

2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and reason:

2:7 ±×´Â Á¤Á÷ÇÑ ÀÚ¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ¿ÏÀüÇÑ ÁöÇý¸¦ ¿¹ºñÇϽøç Çà½ÇÀÌ ¿ÂÀüÇÑ ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ¹æÆа¡ µÇ½Ã³ª´Ï

2:7 He has salvation stored up for the upright, he is a breastplate to those in whom there is no evil;

2:8 ´ëÀú ±×´Â °øÆòÀÇ ±æÀ» º¸È£ÇÏ½Ã¸ç ±× ¼ºµµµéÀÇ ±æÀ» º¸ÀüÇÏ·Á ÇϽÉÀ̴϶ó

2:8 He keeps watch on the ways which are right, and takes care of those who have the fear of him.

2:9 ±×·±Áï ³×°¡ °øÀÇ¿Í °øÆò°ú Á¤Á÷ °ð ¸ðµç ¼±ÇÑ ±æÀ» ±ú´ÞÀ» °ÍÀ̶ó

2:9 Then you will have knowledge of righteousness and right acting, and upright behaviour, even of every good way.

2:10 °ð ÁöÇý°¡ ³× ¸¶À½¿¡ µé¾î°¡¸ç Áö½ÄÀÌ ³× ¿µÈ¥¿¡ Áñ°Ì°Ô µÉ °ÍÀÌ¿ä

2:10 For wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasing to your soul;

2:11 ±Ù½ÅÀÌ ³Ê¸¦ ÁöÅ°¸ç ¸íöÀÌ ³Ê¸¦ º¸È£ÇÏ¿©

2:11 Wise purposes will be watching over you, and knowledge will keep you;

2:12 ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ ±æ°ú ÆпªÀ» ¸»ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿¡°Ô¼­ °ÇÁ®³»¸®¶ó

2:12 Giving you salvation from the evil man, from those whose words are false;

2:13 ÀÌ ¹«¸®´Â Á¤Á÷ÇÑ ±æÀ» ¶°³ª ¾îµÎ¿î ±æ·Î ÇàÇϸç

2:13 Who give up the way of righteousness, to go by dark roads;

2:14 Çà¾ÇÇϱ⸦ ±â»µÇÏ¸ç ¾ÇÀÎÀÇ ÆпªÀ» Áñ°Å¿öÇϳª´Ï

2:14 Who take pleasure in wrongdoing, and have joy in the evil designs of the sinner;

2:15 ±× ±æÀº ±¸ºÎ·¯Áö°í ±× ÇàÀ§´Â ÆпªÇϸ®¶ó

2:15 Whose ways are not straight, and whose footsteps are turned to evil:

2:16 ÁöÇý°¡ ¶Ç ³Ê¸¦ À½³à¿¡°Ô¼­, ¸»·Î È£¸®´Â ÀÌ¹æ °èÁý¿¡°Ô¼­ ±¸¿øÇϸ®´Ï

2:16 To take you out of the power of the strange woman, who says smooth words with her tongue;

2:17 ±×´Â ¼Ò½ÃÀÇ Â¦À» ¹ö¸®¸ç ±× Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¾ð¾àÀ» Àؾî¹ö¸° ÀÚ¶ó

2:17 Who is false to the husband of her early years, and does not keep the agreement of her God in mind:

2:18 ±× ÁýÀº »ç¸ÁÀ¸·Î, ±× ±æÀº À½ºÎ·Î ±â¿ï¾îÁ³³ª´Ï

2:18 For her house is on the way down to death; her footsteps go down to the shades:

2:19 ´©±¸µçÁö ±×¿¡°Ô·Î °¡´Â ÀÚ´Â µ¹¾Æ¿ÀÁö ¸øÇÏ¸ç ¶Ç »ý¸í ±æÀ» ¾òÁö ¸øÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó

2:19 Those who go to her do not come back again; their feet do not keep in the ways of life:

2:20 ÁöÇý°¡ ³Ê·Î ¼±ÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ ±æ·Î ÇàÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ¸ç ¶Ç ÀÇÀÎÀÇ ±æÀ» ÁöÅ°°Ô Çϸ®´Ï

2:20 So that you may go in the way of good men, and keep in the footsteps of the upright.

2:21 ´ëÀú Á¤Á÷ÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ¶¥¿¡ °ÅÇÏ¸ç ¿ÏÀüÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ¶¥¿¡ ³²¾Æ ÀÖÀ¸¸®¶ó

2:21 For the upright will be living in the land, and the good will have it for their heritage.

2:22 ±×·¯³ª ¾ÇÀÎÀº ¶¥¿¡¼­ ²÷¾îÁö°Ú°í ±ËÈáÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ¶¥¿¡¼­ »ÌÈ÷¸®¶ó

2:22 But sinners will be cut off from the land, and those whose acts are false will be uprooted.

3:1 ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ³ªÀÇ ¹ýÀ» Àؾî¹ö¸®Áö ¸»°í ³× ¸¶À½À¸·Î ³ªÀÇ ¸í·ÉÀ» ÁöÅ°¶ó

3:1 My son, keep my teaching in your memory, and my rules in your heart:

3:2 ±×¸®ÇÏ¸é ±×°ÍÀÌ ³Ê·Î Àå¼öÇÏ¿© ¸¹Àº Çظ¦ ´©¸®°Ô Çϸç Æò°­À» ´õÇÏ°Ô Çϸ®¶ó

3:2 For they will give you increase of days, years of life, and peace.

3:3 ÀÎÀÚ¿Í Áø¸®·Î ³×°Ô¼­ ¶°³ªÁö ¾Ê°Ô ÇÏ°í ±×°ÍÀ» ³× ¸ñ¿¡ ¸Å¸ç ³× ¸¶À½ÆÇ¿¡ »õ±â¶ó

3:3 Let not mercy and good faith go from you; let them be hanging round your neck, recorded on your heart;

3:4 ±×¸®ÇÏ¸é ³×°¡ Çϳª´Ô°ú »ç¶÷ ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ÀºÃÑ°ú ±ÍÁßÈ÷ ¿©±èÀ» ¹ÞÀ¸¸®¶ó

3:4 So you will have grace and a good name in the eyes of God and men.

3:5 ³Ê´Â ¸¶À½À» ´ÙÇÏ¿© ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ ÀÇ·ÚÇÏ°í ³× ¸íöÀ» ÀÇÁöÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó

3:5 Put all your hope in God, not looking to your reason for support.

3:6 ³Ê´Â ¹ü»ç¿¡ ±×¸¦ ÀÎÁ¤Ç϶ó ±×¸®ÇÏ¸é ³× ±æÀ» ÁöµµÇϽø®¶ó

3:6 In all your ways give ear to him, and he will make straight your footsteps.

3:7 ½º½º·Î ÁöÇý·Ó°Ô ¿©±âÁö ¸»Áö¾î´Ù ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ °æ¿ÜÇÏ¸ç ¾ÇÀ» ¶°³¯Áö¾î´Ù

3:7 Put no high value on your wisdom: let the fear of the Lord be before you, and keep yourself from evil:

3:8 ÀÌ°ÍÀÌ ³× ¸ö¿¡ ¾ç¾àÀÌ µÇ¾î ³× °ñ¼ö·Î À±ÅÃÇÏ°Ô Çϸ®¶ó

3:8 This will give strength to your flesh, and new life to your bones.

3:9 ³× Àç¹°°ú ³× ¼Ò»ê¹°ÀÇ Ã³À½ ÀÍÀº ¿­¸Å·Î ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ °ø°æÇ϶ó

3:9 Give honour to the Lord with your wealth, and with the first-fruits of all your increase:

3:10 ±×¸®ÇÏ¸é ³× Ã¢°í°¡ °¡µæÈ÷ Â÷°í ³× ÁóƲ¿¡ »õ Æ÷µµÁóÀÌ ³ÑÄ¡¸®¶ó

3:10 So your store-houses will be full of grain, and your vessels overflowing with new wine.

3:11 ¡Û ³» ¾Æµé¾Æ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ Â¡°è¸¦ °æÈ÷ ¿©±âÁö ¸»¶ó ±× ²ÙÁö¶÷À» ½È¾îÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó

3:11 My son, do not make your heart hard against the Lord's teaching; do not be made angry by his training:

3:12 ´ëÀú ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ±× »ç¶ûÇϽô ÀÚ¸¦ ¡°èÇϽñ⸦ ¸¶Ä¡ ¾Æºñ°¡ ±× ±â»µÇÏ´Â ¾ÆµéÀ» ¡°èÇÔ °°ÀÌ ÇϽôÀ´Ï¶ó

3:12 For to those who are dear to him the Lord says sharp words, and makes the son in whom he has delight undergo pain.

3:13 ÁöÇý¸¦ ¾òÀº ÀÚ¿Í ¸íöÀ» ¾òÀº ÀÚ´Â º¹ÀÌ ÀÖ³ª´Ï

3:13 Happy is the man who makes discovery of wisdom, and he who gets knowledge.

3:14 ÀÌ´Â ÁöÇý¸¦ ¾ò´Â °ÍÀÌ ÀºÀ» ¾ò´Â °Íº¸´Ù ³´°í ±× ÀÌÀÍÀÌ Á¤±Ýº¸´Ù ³ªÀ½À̴϶ó

3:14 For trading in it is better than trading in silver, and its profit greater than bright gold.

3:15 ÁöÇý´Â ÁøÁÖº¸´Ù ±ÍÇÏ´Ï ³ÊÀÇ »ç¸ðÇÏ´Â ¸ðµç °ÍÀ¸·Î ÀÌ¿¡ ºñ±³ÇÒ ¼ö ¾øµµ´Ù

3:15 She is of more value than jewels, and nothing for which you may have a desire is fair in comparison with her.
