13:1 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
13:1 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
13:2 Send you men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall all of you send a man, every one a ruler among them.
13:2 사람을 보내어 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 가나안 땅을 탐지하게 하되 그 종족의 각 지파 중에서 족장 된 자 한 사람씩 보내라
13:3 And Moses by the commandment of the Jehovah sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
13:3 모세가 여호와의 명을 좇아 바란 광야에서 그들을 보내었으니 그들은 다 이스라엘 자손의 두령된 사람이라
13:4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
13:4 그들의 이름은 이러하니라 르우벤 지파에서는 삭굴의 아들 삼무아요
13:5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
13:5 시므온 지파에서는 호리의 아들 사밧이요
13:6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
13:6 유다 지파에서는 여분네의 아들 갈렙이요
13:7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
13:7 잇사갈 지파에서는 요셉의 아들 이갈이요
13:8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
13:8 에브라임 지파에서는 눈의 아들 호세아요
13:9 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
13:9 베냐민 지파에서는 라부의 아들 발디요
13:10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
13:10 스불론 지파에서는 소디의 아들 갓디엘이요
13:11 Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
13:11 요셉 지파 곧 므낫세 지파에서는 수시의 아들 갓디요
13:12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
13:12 단 지파에서는 그말리의 아들 암미엘이요
13:13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
13:13 아셀 지파에서는 미가엘의 아들 스둘이요
13:14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
13:14 납달리 지파에서는 웝시의 아들 나비요
13:15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
13:15 갓 지파에서는 마기의 아들 그우엘이니
13:16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
13:16 이는 모세가 땅을 탐지하러 보낸 자들의 이름이라 모세가 눈의 아들 호세아를 여호수아라 칭하였더라
13:17 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
13:17 ○ 모세가 가나안 땅을 탐지하러 그들을 보내며 이르되 너희는 남방 길로 행하여 산지로 올라가서
13:18 And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwells therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
13:18 그 땅의 어떠함을 탐지하라 곧 그 땅 거민의 강약과 다소와
13:19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
13:19 그들의 거하는 땅의 호 불호와 거하는 성읍이 진영인지 산성인지와
13:20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be all of you of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first-fruits grapes.
13:20 토지의 후박과 수목의 유무니라 담대하라 또 그 땅 실과를 가져오라 하니 그때는 포도가 처음 익을 즈음이었더라
13:21 So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
13:21 ○ 이에 그들이 올라가서 땅을 탐지하되 신 광야에서부터 하맛 어귀 르홉에 이르렀고
13:22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
13:22 또 남방으로 올라가서 헤브론에 이르렀으니 헤브론은 애굽 소안보다 칠 년 전에 세운 곳이라 그곳에 아낙 자손 아히만과 세새와 달매가 있었더라
13:23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
13:23 또 에스골 골짜기에 이르러 거기서 포도 한 송이 달린 가지를 베어 둘이 막대기에 꿰어 메고 또 석류와 무화과를 취하니라
13:24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
13:24 이스라엘 자손이 거기서 포도송이를 벤 고로 그곳을 에스골 골짜기라 칭하였더라
13:25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
13:25 사십 일 동안에 땅을 탐지하기를 마치고 돌아와
13:26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
13:26 바란 광야 가데스에 이르러 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 나아와 그들에게 회보하고 그 땅 실과를 보이고
13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land where you sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
13:27 모세에게 보고하여 가로되 당신이 우리를 보낸 땅에 간즉 과연 젖과 꿀이 그 땅에 흐르고 이것은 그 땅의 실과니이다
13:28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
13:28 그러나 그 땅 거민은 강하고 성읍은 견고하고 심히 클 뿐 아니라 거기서 아낙 자손을 보았으며
13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
13:29 아말렉인은 남방 땅에 거하고 헷인과 여부스인과 아모리인은 산지에 거하고 가나안인은 해변과 요단 가에 거하더이다
13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
13:30 ○ 갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 안돈시켜 가로되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나
13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
13:31 그와 함께 올라갔던 사람들은 가로되 우리는 능히 올라가서 그 백성을 치지 못하리라 그들은 우리보다 강하니라 하고
13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
13:32 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 그 탐지한 땅을 악평하여 가로되 우리가 두루 다니며 탐지한 땅은 그 거민을 삼키는 땅이요 거기서 본 모든 백성은 신장이 장대한 자들이며
13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
13:33 거기서 또 네피림 후손 아낙 자손 대장부들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들의 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라
14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
14:1 온 회중이 소리를 높여 부르짖으며 밤새도록 백성이 곡하였더라
14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
14:2 이스라엘 자손이 다 모세와 아론을 원망하며 온 회중이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 죽었거나 이 광야에서 죽었더면 좋았을 것을
14:3 And wherefore has the Jehovah brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
14:3 어찌하여 여호와가 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 칼에 망하게 하려 하는고 우리 처자가 사로잡히리니 애굽으로 돌아가는 것이 낫지 아니하랴
14:4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
14:4 ○ 이에 서로 말하되 우리가 한 장관을 세우고 애굽으로 돌아가자 하매
14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
14:5 모세와 아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중 앞에서 엎드린지라
14:6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
14:6 그 땅을 탐지한 자 중 눈의 아들 여호수아와 여분네의 아들 갈렙이 그 옷을 찢고
14:7 And they spoke unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
14:7 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에 일러 가로되 우리가 두루 다니며 탐지한 땅은 심히 아름다운 땅이라
14:8 If the Jehovah delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey.
14:8 여호와께서 우리를 기뻐하시면 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 들이시고 그 땅을 우리에게 주시리라 이는 과연 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이니라
14:9 Only rebel not all of you against the Jehovah, neither fear all of you the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Jehovah is with us: fear them not.
14:9 오직 여호와를 거역하지 말라 또 그 땅 백성을 두려워하지 말라 그들은 우리 밥이라 그들의 보호자는 그들에게서 떠났고 여호와는 우리와 함께 하시느니라 그들을 두려워 말라 하나
14:10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Jehovah appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
14:10 온 회중이 그들을 돌로 치려 하는 동시에 여호와의 영광이 회막에서 이스라엘 모든 자손에게 나타나시니라
14:11 And the Jehovah said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?
14:11 ○ 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이 백성이 어느 때까지 나를 멸시하겠느냐 내가 그들 중에 모든 이적을 행한 것도 생각하지 아니하고 어느 때까지 나를 믿지 않겠느냐
14:12 I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they.
14:12 내가 전염병으로 그들을 쳐서 멸하고 너로 그들보다 크고 강한 나라를 이루게 하리라
14:13 And Moses said unto the Jehovah, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for you brought up this people in your might from among them;)
14:13 ○ 모세가 여호와께 여짜오되 애굽인 중에서 주의 능력으로 이 백성을 인도하여 내셨거늘 그리하시면 그들이 듣고
14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you Jehovah are among this people, that you Jehovah are seen face to face, and that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
14:14 이 땅 거민에게 고하리이다 주 여호와께서 이 백성 중에 계심을 그들도 들었으니 곧 주 여호와께서 대면하여 보이시며 주의 구름이 그들 위에 섰으며 주께서 낮에는 구름기둥 가운데서 밤에는 불기둥 가운데서 그들 앞에서 행하시는 것이니이다
14:15 Now if you shall kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of you will speak, saying,
14:15 이제 주께서 이 백성을 한 사람 같이 죽이시면 주의 명성을 들은 열국이 말하여 이르기를
14:16 Because the Jehovah was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore unto them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.
14:16 여호와가 이 백성에게 주기로 맹세한 땅에 인도할 능이 없는 고로 광야에서 죽였다 하리이다
14:17 And now, I plead to you, let the power of my Jehovah be great, according as you have spoken, saying,
14:17 이제 구하옵나니 이미 말씀하신 대로 주의 큰 권능을 나타내옵소서 이르시기를
14:18 The Jehovah is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
14:18 여호와는 노하기를 더디하고 인자가 많아 죄악과 과실을 사하나 형벌 받을 자는 결단코 사하지 아니하고 아비의 죄악을 자식에게 갚아 삼, 사 대까지 이르게 하리라 하셨나이다
14:19 Pardon, I plead to you, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of your mercy, and as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
14:19 구하옵나니 주의 인자의 광대하심을 따라 이 백성의 죄악을 사하시되 애굽에서부터 지금까지 이 백성을 사하신 것 같이 사하옵소서
14:20 And the Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to your word:
14:20 ○ 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 네 말대로 사하노라
14:21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Jehovah.
14:21 그러나 진실로 나의 사는 것과 여호와의 영광이 온 세계에 충만할 것으로 맹세하노니
14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
14:22 나의 영광과 애굽과 광야에서 행한 나의 이적을 보고도 이같이 열 번이나 나를 시험하고 내 목소리를 청종치 아니한 그 사람들은
14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I swore unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
14:23 내가 그 조상들에게 맹세한 땅을 결단코 보지 못할 것이요 또 나를 멸시하는 사람은 하나라도 그것을 보지 못하리라
14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into where he went; and his seed shall possess it.
14:24 오직 내 종 갈렙은 그 마음이 그들과 달라서 나를 온전히 좇았은즉 그의 갔던 땅으로 내가 그를 인도하여 들이리니 그 자손이 그 땅을 차지하리라
14:25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
14:25 아말렉인과 가나안인이 골짜기에 거하나니 너희는 내일 돌이켜 홍해 길로 하여 광야로 들어갈지니라
14:26 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
14:26 ○ 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
14:27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
14:27 나를 원망하는 이 악한 회중을 내가 어느 때까지 참으랴 이스라엘 자손이 나를 향하여 원망하는 바 그 원망하는 말을 내가 들었노라
14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, says the Jehovah, as all of you have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
14:28 그들에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 나의 삶을 가리켜 맹세하노라 너희 말이 내 귀에 들린 대로 내가 너희에게 행하리니
14:29 Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.
14:29 너희 시체가 이 광야에 엎드러질 것이라 너희 이십 세 이상으로 계수함을 받은 자 곧 나를 원망한 자의 전부가
14:30 Doubtless all of you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
14:30 여분네의 아들 갈렙과 눈의 아들 여호수아 외에는 내가 맹세하여 너희로 거하게 하리라 한 땅에 결단코 들어가지 못하리라
14:31 But your little ones, which all of you said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which all of you have despised.
14:31 너희가 사로잡히겠다고 말하던 너희의 유아들은 내가 인도하여 들이리니 그들은 너희가 싫어하던 땅을 보려니와
14:32 But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness.
14:32 너희 시체는 이 광야에 엎드러질 것이요
14:33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.
14:33 너희 자녀들은 너희의 패역한 죄를 지고 너희의 시체가 광야에서 소멸되기까지 사십 년을 광야에서 유리하는 자가 되리라
14:34 After the number of the days in which all of you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall all of you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and all of you shall know my breach of promise.
14:34 너희가 그 땅을 탐지한 날 수 사십 일의 하루를 일 년으로 환산하여 그 사십 년 간 너희가 너희의 죄악을 질지니 너희가 나의 싫어 버림을 알리라 하셨다 하라
14:35 I the Jehovah have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
14:35 나 여호와가 말하였거니와 모여 나를 거역하는 이 악한 온 회중에게 내가 단정코 이같이 행하리니 그들이 이 광야에서 소멸되어 거기서 죽으리라
14:36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
14:36 ○ 모세의 보냄을 받고 땅을 탐지하고 돌아와서 그 땅을 악평하여 온 회중으로 모세를 원망케 한 사람
14:37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the Jehovah.
14:37 곧 그 땅에 대하여 악평한 자들은 여호와 앞에서 재앙으로 죽었고
14:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.
14:38 그 땅을 탐지하러 갔던 사람들 중에 오직 눈의 아들 여호수아와 여분네의 아들 갈렙은 생존하니라
14:39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
14:39 ○ 모세가 이 말로 이스라엘 모든 자손에게 고하매 백성이 크게 슬퍼하여
14:40 And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the Jehovah has promised: for we have sinned.
14:40 아침에 일찌기 일어나 산 꼭대기로 올라가며 가로되 보소서 우리가 여기 있나이다 우리가 여호와의 허락하신 곳으로 올라가리니 우리가 범죄하였음이니이다
14:41 And Moses said, Wherefore now do all of you transgress the commandment of the Jehovah? but it shall not prosper.
14:41 모세가 가로되 너희가 어찌하여 이제 여호와의 명령을 범하느냐 이 일이 형통치 못하리라
14:42 Go not up, for the Jehovah is not among you; that all of you be not smitten before your enemies.
14:42 여호와께서 너희 중에 계시지 아니하니 올라가지 말라 너희 대적 앞에서 패할까 하노라
14:43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and all of you shall fall by the sword: because all of you are turned away from the Jehovah, therefore the Jehovah will not be with you.
14:43 아말렉인과 가나안인이 너희 앞에 있으니 너희가 그 칼에 망하리라 너희가 여호와를 배반하였으니 여호와께서 너희와 함께 하지 아니하시리라 하나
14:44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the Jehovah, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
14:44 그들이 그래도 산 꼭대기로 올라갔고 여호와의 언약궤와 모세는 진을 떠나지 아니하였더라
14:45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and stroke them, and humiliated them, even unto Hormah.
14:45 아말렉인과 산지에 거하는 가나안인이 내려와 쳐서 파하고 호르마까지 이르렀더라
15:1 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:1 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
15:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When all of you be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
15:2 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 그들에게 이르라 너희가 내가 주어 거하게 할 땅에 들어가서
15:3 And will make an offering by fire unto the Jehovah, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the Jehovah, of the herd or of the flock:
15:3 여호와께 화제나 번제나 서원을 갚는 제나 낙헌제나 정한 절기제에 소나 양으로 여호와께 향기롭게 드릴 때에는
15:4 Then shall he that offers his offering unto the Jehovah bring a food offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of oil.
15:4 그 예물을 드리는 자는 고운 가루 에바 십분지 일에 기름 한 힌의 사분지 일을 섞어 여호와께 소제로 드릴 것이며
15:5 And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shall you prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
15:5 번제나 다른 제사로 드리는 제물이 어린 양이면 전제로 포도주 한 힌의 사분 일을 예비할 것이요
15:6 Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a food offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil.
15:6 수양이면 소제로 고운 가루 한 에바 십분지 이에 기름 한 힌의 삼분지 일을 섞어 예비하고
15:7 And for a drink offering you shall offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the Jehovah.
15:7 전제로 포도주 한 힌의 삼분지 일을 드려 여호와 앞에 향기롭게 할 것이요
15:8 And when you prepare a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the Jehovah:
15:8 번제로나 서원을 갚는 제로나 화목제로 수송아지를 예비하여 여호와께 드릴 때에는
15:9 Then shall he bring with a bullock a food offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an hin of oil.
15:9 소제로 고운 가루 한 에바 십분지 삼에 기름 반 힌을 섞어 그 수송아지와 함께 드리고
15:10 And you shall bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Jehovah.
15:10 전제로 포도주 반 힌을 드려 여호와 앞에 향기로운 화제를 삼을지니라
15:11 Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.
15:11 ○ 수송아지나 수양이나 어린 수양이나 어린 염소에는 그 마리 수마다 이 위와 같이 행하되
15:12 According to the number that all of you shall prepare, so shall all of you do to every one according to their number.
15:12 너희 예비하는 수효를 따라 각기 수효에 맞게 하라
15:13 All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Jehovah.
15:13 무릇 본토 소생이 여호와께 향기로운 화제를 드릴 때에는 이 법대로 할 것이요
15:14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Jehovah; as all of you do, so he shall do.
15:14 너희 중에 우거하는 타국인이나 너희 중에 대대로 있는 자가 누구든지 여호와께 향기로운 화제를 드릴 때에는 너희 하는 대로 그도 그리할 것이라
15:15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as all of you are, so shall the stranger be before the Jehovah.
15:15 회중 곧 너희나 우거하는 타국인이나 한 율례니 너희의 대대로 영원한 율례라 너희의 어떠한 대로 타국인도 여호와 앞에 그러하리라
15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you.
15:16 너희나 너희 중에 우거하는 타국인이나 한 법도, 한 규례니라
15:17 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:17 ○ 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
15:18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When all of you come into the land where I bring you,
15:18 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르라 너희가 나의 인도하는 땅에 들어가거든
15:19 Then it shall be, that, when all of you eat of the bread of the land, all of you shall offer up an heave offering unto the Jehovah.
15:19 그 땅의 양식을 먹을 때에 여호와께 거제를 드리되
15:20 All of you shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as all of you do the heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall all of you heave it.
15:20 너희의 처음 익은 곡식 가루 떡을 거제로 타작 마당의 거제 같이 들어 드리라
15:21 Of the first of your dough all of you shall give unto the Jehovah an heave offering in your generations.
15:21 너희의 처음 익은 곡식 가루 떡을 대대에 여호와께 거제로 드릴지니라
15:22 And if all of you have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the Jehovah has spoken unto Moses,
15:22 ○ 너희가 그릇 범죄하여 여호와가 모세에게 말한 이 모든 명령을 지키지 못하되
15:23 Even all that the Jehovah has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the Jehovah commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;
15:23 곧 여호와가 모세로 너희에게 명한 모든 것을 여호와가 명한 날부터 이후 너희의 대대에 지키지 못하여
15:24 Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the Jehovah, with his food offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
15:24 회중이 부지중에 그릇 범죄하였거든 온 회중은 수송아지 하나를 여호와께 향기로운 화제로 드리고 규례대로 그 소제와 전제를 드리고 수염소 하나를 속죄제로 드릴 것이라
15:25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Jehovah, and their sin offering before the Jehovah, for their ignorance:
15:25 제사장이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중을 위하여 속죄하면 그들이 사함을 얻으리니 이는 그릇 범죄함이며 또 그 그릇 범죄함을 인하여 예물 곧 화제와 속죄제를 여호와께 드렸음이라
15:26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourns among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
15:26 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중과 그들 중에 우거하는 타국인도 사함을 얻을 것은 온 백성이 그릇 범죄하였음이니라
15:27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
15:27 만일 한 사람이 그릇 범죄하거든 일 년 된 암염소로 속죄제를 드릴 것이요
15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sins ignorantly, when he sins by ignorance before the Jehovah, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
15:28 제사장은 그 그릇 범죄한 사람이 그릇하여 여호와 앞에 얻은 죄를 위하여 속죄하여 그 죄를 속할지니 그리하면 사함을 얻으리라
15:29 All of you shall have one law for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them.
15:29 이스라엘 자손 중 본토 소생이든지 그들 중에 우거하는 타국인이든지 무릇 그릇 범죄한 자에게 대한 법이 동일하거니와
15:30 But the soul that does ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproaches the Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15:30 본토 소생이든지 타국인이든지 무릇 짐짓 무엇을 행하면 여호와를 훼방하는 자니 그 백성 중에서 끊쳐질 것이라
15:31 Because he has despised the word of the Jehovah, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
15:31 그런 사람은 여호와의 말씀을 멸시하고 그 명령을 파괴하였은즉 그 죄악이 자기에게로 돌아가서 온전히 끊쳐지리라
15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
15:32 ○ 이스라엘 자손이 광야에 거할 때에 안식일에 어떤 사람이 나무하는 것을 발견한지라
15:33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
15:33 그 나무하는 자를 발견한 자들이 그를 모세와 아론과 온 회중의 앞으로 끌어왔으나
15:34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
15:34 어떻게 처치할는지 지시하심을 받지 못한 고로 가두었더니
15:35 And the Jehovah said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
15:35 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 그 사람을 반드시 죽일지니 온 회중이 진 밖에서 돌로 그를 칠지니라
15:36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Jehovah commanded Moses.
15:36 온 회중이 곧 그를 진 밖으로 끌어내고 돌로 그를 쳐죽여서 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하니라
15:37 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
15:37 ○ 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a thread of blue:
15:38 이스라엘 자손에게 명하여 그들의 대대로 그 옷단 귀에 술을 만들고 청색 끈을 그 귀의 술에 더하라
15:39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that all of you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Jehovah, and do them; and that all of you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which all of you use to go a whoring:
15:39 이 술은 너희로 보고 여호와의 모든 계명을 기억하여 준행하고 너희로 방종케 하는 자기의 마음과 눈의 욕심을 좇지 않게 하기 위함이라
15:40 That all of you may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
15:40 그리하면 너희가 나의 모든 계명을 기억하고 준행하여 너희의 하나님 앞에 거룩하리라
15:41 I am the Jehovah your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Jehovah your God.
15:41 나는 너희의 하나님이 되려 하여 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 여호와 너희 하나님이니라 나는 여호와 너희 하나님이니라
16:1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
16:1 레위의 증손 고핫의 손자 이스할의 아들 고라와 르우벤 자손 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람과 벨렛의 아들 온이 당을 짓고
16:2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
16:2 이스라엘 자손 총회에 택함을 받은 자 곧 회중에 유명한 어떤 족장 이백 오십 인과 함께 일어나서 모세를 거스리니라
16:3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, All of you take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Jehovah is among them: wherefore then lift all of you up yourselves above the congregation of the Jehovah?
16:3 그들이 모여서 모세와 아론을 거스려 그들에게 이르되 너희가 분수에 지나도다 회중이 다 각각 거룩하고 여호와께서도 그들 중에 계시거늘 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 총회 위에 스스로 높이느뇨
16:4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
16:4 ○ 모세가 듣고 엎드렸다가
16:5 And he spoke unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even tomorrow the Jehovah will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he has chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
16:5 고라와 그 모든 무리에게 말하여 가로되 아침에 여호와께서 자기에게 속한 자가 누구인지 거룩한 자가 누구인지 보이시고 그 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시되 곧 그가 택하신 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시리니
16:6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
16:6 이렇게 하라 너 고라와 너의 모든 무리는 향로를 취하고
16:7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the Jehovah tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom the Jehovah does choose, he shall be holy: all of you take too much upon you, all of you sons of Levi.
16:7 내일 여호와 앞에서 그 향로에 불을 담고 그 위에 향을 두라 그때에 여호와의 택하신 자는 거룩하게 되리라 레위 자손들아 너희가 너무 분수에 지나치느니라
16:8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, all of you sons of Levi:
16:8 모세가 또 고라에게 이르되 너희 레위 자손들아 들으라
16:9 Seems it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Jehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
16:9 이스라엘의 하나님이 이스라엘 회중에서 너희를 구별하여 자기에게 가까이 하게 하사 여호와의 성막에서 봉사하게 하시며 회중 앞에 서서 그들을 대신하여 섬기게 하심이 너희에게 작은 일이겠느냐
16:10 And he has brought you near to him, and all your brethren the sons of Levi with you: and seek all of you the priesthood also?
16:10 하나님이 너와 네 모든 형제 레위 자손으로 너와 함께 가까이 오게 하신 것이 작은 일이 아니어늘 너희가 오히려 제사장의 직분을 구하느냐
16:11 For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against the Jehovah: and what is Aaron, that all of you murmur against him?
16:11 이를 위하여 너와 너의 무리가 다 모여서 여호와를 거스리는도다 아론은 어떠한 사람이관대 너희가 그를 원망하느냐
16:12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
16:12 ○ 모세가 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람을 부르러 보내었더니 그들이 가로되 우리는 올라가지 않겠노라
16:13 Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us?
16:13 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 이끌어 내어 광야에서 죽이려 함이 어찌 작은 일이기에 오히려 스스로 우리 위에 왕이 되려 하느냐
16:14 Moreover you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
16:14 이뿐 아니라 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅으로 인도하여 들이지도 아니하고 밭도 포도원도 우리에게 기업으로 주지 아니하니 네가 이 사람들의 눈을 빼려느냐 우리는 올라가지 아니하겠노라
16:15 And Moses was very angry, and said unto the Jehovah, Respect not you their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
16:15 ○ 모세가 심히 노하여 여호와께 여짜오되 주는 그들의 예물을 돌아보지 마옵소서 나는 그들의 한 나귀도 취하지 아니하였고 그들의 한 사람도 해하지 아니하였나이다 하고
16:16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be you and all your company before the Jehovah, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow:
16:16 이에 고라에게 이르되 너와 너의 온 무리는 아론과 함께 내일 여호와 앞으로 나아오되
16:17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring all of you before the Jehovah every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
16:17 너희는 각기 향로를 잡고 그 위에 향을 두고 각 사람이 그 향로를 여호와 앞으로 가져오라 향로는 모두 이백 오십이라 너와 아론도 각각 향로를 가지고 올지니라
16:18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
16:18 그들이 각기 향로를 취하여 불을 담고 향을 그 위에 두고 모세와 아론으로 더불어 회막문에 서니라
16:19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the Jehovah appeared unto all the congregation.
16:19 고라가 온 회중을 회막문에 모아 놓고 그 두 사람을 대적하려 하매 여호와의 영광이 온 회중에게 나타나시니라
16:20 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
16:20 ○ 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
16:21 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라
16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?
16:22 그 두 사람이 엎드려 가로되 하나님이여 모든 육체의 생명의 하나님이여 한 사람이 범죄하였거늘 온 회중에게 진노하시나이까
16:23 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:23 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
16:24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
16:24 회중에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면에서 떠나라 하라
16:25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
16:25 ○ 모세가 일어나 다단과 아비람에게로 가니 이스라엘 장로들이 좇았더라
16:26 And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest all of you be consumed in all their sins.
16:26 모세가 회중에게 일러 가로되 이 악인들의 장막에서 떠나고 그들의 물건은 아무 것도 만지지 말라 그들의 모든 죄 중에서 너희도 멸망할까 두려워하노라 하매
16:27 So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
16:27 무리가 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면을 떠나고 다단과 아비람은 그 처자와 유아들과 함께 나와서 자기 장막 문에 선지라
16:28 And Moses said, Hereby all of you shall know that the Jehovah has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
16:28 모세가 가로되 여호와께서 나를 보내사 이 모든 일을 행케 하신 것이요 나의 임의로 함이 아닌 줄을 이 일로 인하여 알리라
16:29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Jehovah has not sent me.
16:29 곧 이 사람들의 죽음이 모든 사람과 일반이요 그들의 당하는 벌이 모든 사람의 당하는 벌과 일반이면 여호와께서 나를 보내심이 아니어니와
16:30 But if the Jehovah make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then all of you shall understand that these men have provoked the Jehovah.
16:30 만일 여호와께서 새 일을 행하사 땅으로 입을 열어 이 사람들과 그들의 모든 소속을 삼켜 산 채로 음부에 빠지게 하시면 이 사람들이 과연 여호와를 멸시한 것인 줄을 너희가 알리라
16:31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
16:31 ○ 이 모든 말을 마치는 동시에 그들의 밑의 땅이 갈라지니라
16:32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
16:32 땅이 그 입을 열어 그들과 그 가족과 고라에게 속한 모든 사람과 그 물건을 삼키매
16:33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
16:33 그들과 그 모든 소속이 산 채로 음부에 빠지며 땅이 그 위에 합하니 그들이 총회 중에서 망하니라
16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
16:34 그 주위에 있는 온 이스라엘이 그들의 부르짖음을 듣고 도망하며 가로되 땅이 우리도 삼킬까 두렵다 하였고
16:35 And there came out a fire from the Jehovah, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
16:35 여호와께로서 불이 나와서 분향하는 이백 오십 인을 소멸하였더라
16:36 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:36 ○ 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
16:37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter you the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
16:37 너는 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살을 명하여 붙는 불 가운데서 향로를 취하여다가 그 불을 타처에 쏟으라 그 향로는 거룩함이니라
16:38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the Jehovah, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
16:38 사람들은 범죄하여 그 생명을 스스로 해하였거니와 그들이 향로를 여호와 앞에 드렸으므로 그 향로가 거룩하게 되었나니 그 향로를 쳐서 제단을 싸는 편철을 만들라 이스라엘 자손에게 표가 되리라 하신지라
16:39 And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
16:39 제사장 엘르아살이 불탄 자들의 드렸던 놋 향로를 취하여 쳐서 제단을 싸서
16:40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the Jehovah; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the Jehovah said to him by the hand of Moses.
16:40 이스라엘 자손의 기념물이 되게 하였으니 이는 아론 자손이 아닌 외인은 여호와 앞에 분향하러 가까이 오지 못하게 함이며 또 고라와 그 무리 같이 되지 않게 하기 위함이라 여호와께서 모세로 그에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
16:41 But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, All of you have killed the people of the Jehovah.
16:41 ○ 이튿날 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 모세와 아론을 원망하여 가로되 너희가 여호와의 백성을 죽였도다 하고
16:42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Jehovah appeared.
16:42 회중이 모여 모세와 아론을 칠 때에 회막을 바라본즉 구름이 회막을 덮었고 여호와의 영광이 나타났더라
16:43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
16:43 모세와 아론이 회막 앞에 이르매
16:44 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
16:44 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
16:45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
16:45 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라 하시매 그 두 사람이 엎드리니라
16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Jehovah; the plague is begun.
16:46 이에 모세가 아론에게 이르되 너는 향로를 취하고 단의 불을 그것에 담고 그 위에 향을 두어 가지고 급히 회중에게로 가서 그들을 위하여 속죄하라 여호와께서 진노하셨으므로 염병이 시작되었음이니라
16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
16:47 아론이 모세의 명을 좇아 향로를 가지고 회중에게로 달려간즉 백성 중에 염병이 시작되었는지라 이에 백성을 위하여 속죄하고
16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
16:48 죽은 자와 산 자 사이에 섰을 때에 염병이 그치니라
16:49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
16:49 고라의 일로 죽은 자 외에 염병에 죽은 자가 일만 사천 칠백 명이었더라
16:50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
16:50 염병이 그치매 아론이 회막문 모세에게로 돌아오니라
17:1 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
17:1 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
17:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write you every man's name upon his rod.
17:2 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 그들 중에서 각 종족을 따라 지팡이 하나씩 취하되 곧 그들의 종족대로 그 모든 족장에게서 지팡이 열 둘을 취하고 그 사람들의 이름을 각각 그 지팡이에 쓰되
17:3 And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
17:3 레위의 지팡이에는 아론의 이름을 쓰라 이는 그들의 종족의 각 두령이 지팡이 하나씩 있어야 할 것임이니라
17:4 And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
17:4 그 지팡이를 회막 안에서 내가 너희와 만나는 곳인 증거궤 앞에 두라
17:5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
17:5 내가 택한 자의 지팡이에는 싹이 나리니 이것으로 이스라엘 자손이 너희를 대하여 원망하는 말을 내 앞에서 그치게 하리라
17:6 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
17:6 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 고하매 그 족장들이 각기 종족대로 지팡이 하나씩 그에게 주었으니 그 지팡이 합이 열 둘이라 그 중에 아론의 지팡이가 있었더라
17:7 And Moses laid up the rods before the Jehovah in the tabernacle of witness.
17:7 모세가 그 지팡이들을 증거의 장막 안 여호와 앞에 두었더라
17:8 And it came to pass, that on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
17:8 ○ 이튿날 모세가 증거의 장막에 들어가 본즉 레위 집을 위하여 낸 아론의 지팡이에 움이 돋고 순이 나고 꽃이 피어서 살구 열매가 열렸더라
17:9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
17:9 모세가 그 지팡이 전부를 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 모든 자손에게로 취하여 내매 그들이 보고 각각 자기 지팡이를 취하였더라
17:10 And the Jehovah said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
17:10 여호와께서 또 모세에게 이르시되 아론의 지팡이는 증거궤 앞으로 도로 가져다가 거기 간직하여 패역한 자에 대한 표징이 되게 하여 그들로 내게 대한 원망을 그치고 죽지 않게 할지니라
17:11 And Moses did so: as the Jehovah commanded him, so did he.
17:11 모세가 곧 그같이 하되 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
17:12 And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
17:12 ○ 이스라엘 자손이 모세에게 말하여 가로되 보소서 우리는 죽게 되었나이다 망하게 되었나이다 다 망하게 되었나이다
17:13 Whosoever comes any thing near unto the tabernacle of the Jehovah shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
17:13 가까이 나아가는 자 곧 여호와의 성막에 가까이 나아가는 자마다 다 죽사오니 우리가 다 망하여야 하리이까
18:1 And the Jehovah said unto Aaron, You and your sons and your father's house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
18:1 여호와께서 아론에게 이르시되 너와 네 아들들과 네 종족은 성소에 대한 죄를 함께 담당할 것이요 너와 네 아들들은 너희가 그 제사장 직분에 대한 죄를 함께 담당할 것이니라
18:2 And your brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring you with you, that they may be joined unto you, and minister unto you: but you and your sons with you shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.
18:2 너는 네 형제 레위 지파 곧 네 조상의 지파를 데려다가 너와 합동시켜 너를 섬기게 하고 너와 네 아들들은 증거의 장막 앞에 있을 것이니라
18:3 And they shall keep your charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor all of you also, die.
18:3 레위인은 네 직무와 장막의 모든 직무를 지키려니와 성소의 기구와 단에는 가까이 못하리니 두렵건대 그들과 너희가 죽을까 하노라
18:4 And they shall be joined unto you, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
18:4 레위인은 너와 합동하여 장막의 모든 일과 회막의 직무를 지킬 것이요 외인은 너희에게 가까이 못할 것이니라
18:5 And all of you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.
18:5 이와 같이 너희는 성소의 직무와 단의 직무를 지키라 그리하면 여호와의 진노가 다시는 이스라엘 자손에게 미치지 아니하리라
18:6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the Jehovah, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:6 보라 내가 이스라엘 자손 중에서 너희 형제 레위인을 취하여 내게 돌리고 너희에게 선물로 주어 회막의 일을 하게 하였나니
18:7 Therefore you and your sons with you shall keep your priest's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and all of you shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that comes nigh shall be put to death.
18:7 너와 네 아들들은 단과 장 안의 모든 일에 대하여 제사장의 직분을 지켜 섬기라 내가 제사장의 직분을 너희에게 선물로 주었은즉 거기 가까이 하는 외인은 죽이울지니라
18:8 And the Jehovah spoke unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given you the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto you have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to your sons, by an ordinance for ever.
18:8 ○ 여호와께서 또 아론에게 이르시되 보라 내가 내 거제물 곧 이스라엘 자손의 거룩하게 한 모든 예물을 너로 주관하게 하고 네가 기름 부음을 받았음을 인하여 그것을 너와 네 아들들에게 영영한 응식으로 주노라
18:9 This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every food offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
18:9 지성물 중에 불사르지 않은 것은 네 것이라 그들이 내게 드리는 모든 예물의 모든 소제와 속죄제와 속건 제물은 다 지극히 거룩한즉 너와 네 아들들에게 돌리리니
18:10 In the most holy place shall you eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto you.
18:10 지극히 거룩하게 여김으로 먹으라 이는 네게 성물인즉 남자들이 다 먹을지니라
18:11 And this is yours; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in your house shall eat of it.
18:11 내게 돌릴 것이 이것이니 곧 이스라엘 자손의 드리는 거제물과 모든 요제물이라 내가 그것을 너와 네 자손에게 영영한 응식으로 주었은즉 네 집의 정결한 자마다 먹을 것이니라
18:12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the first-fruits of them which they shall offer unto the Jehovah, them have I given you.
18:12 그들이 여호와께 드리는 첫 소산 곧 제일 좋은 기름과 제일 좋은 포도주와 곡식을 네게 주었은즉
18:13 And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the Jehovah, shall be yours; every one that is clean in yours house shall eat of it.
18:13 그들이 여호와께 드리는 그 땅 처음 익은 모든 열매는 네 것이니 네 집에 정결한 자마다 먹을 것이라
18:14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be yours.
18:14 이스라엘 중에서 특별히 드린 모든 것은 네 것이 되리라
18:15 Every thing that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring unto the Jehovah, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be yours: nevertheless the firstborn of man shall you surely redeem, and the first born of unclean beasts shall you redeem.
18:15 여호와께 드리는 모든 생물의 처음 나는 것은 사람이나 짐승이나 다 네 것이로되 사람의 처음 난 것은 반드시 대속할 것이요 부정한 짐승의 처음 난 것도 대속할 것이며
18:16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shall you redeem, according to yours estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
18:16 그 사람을 속할 때에는 난 지 일 개월 이후에 네가 정한 대로 성소의 세겔을 따라 은 다섯 세겔로 속하라 한 세겔은 이십 게라니라
18:17 But the first born of a cow, or the first born of a sheep, or the first born of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy: you shall sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the Jehovah.
18:17 오직 소의 처음 난 것이나 양의 처음 난 것이나 염소의 처음 난 것은 속하지 말지니 그것들은 거룩한즉 그 피는 단에 뿌리고 그 기름은 불살라 여호와께 향기로운 화제로 드릴 것이며
18:18 And the flesh of them shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours.
18:18 그 고기는 네게 돌릴지니 흔든 가슴과 우편 넓적다리 같이 네게 돌릴 것이니라
18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the Jehovah, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the Jehovah unto you and to your seed with you.
18:19 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 거제로 드리는 모든 성물은 내가 영영한 응식으로 너와 네 자녀에게 주노니 이는 여호와 앞에 너와 네 후손에게 변하지 않는 소금 언약이니라
18:20 And the Jehovah spoke unto Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any part among them: I am your part and yours inheritance among the children of Israel.
18:20 여호와께서 또 아론에게 이르시되 너는 이스라엘 자손의 땅의 기업도 없겠고 그들 중에 아무 분깃도 없을 것이나 나는 이스라엘 자손 중에 네 분깃이요 네 기업이니라
18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:21 ○ 내가 이스라엘의 십일조를 레위 자손에게 기업으로 다 주어서 그들의 하는 일 곧 회막에서 하는 일을 갚나니
18:22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
18:22 이 후로는 이스라엘 자손이 회막에 가까이 말 것이라 죄를 당하여 죽을까 하노라
18:23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
18:23 오직 레위인은 회막에서 봉사하며 자기들의 죄를 담당할 것이요 이스라엘 자손 중에는 기업이 없을 것이니 이는 너희의 대대에 영원한 율례라
18:24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the Jehovah, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
18:24 ○ 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 거제로 드리는 십일조를 레위인에게 기업으로 준 고로 내가 그들에 대하여 말하기를 이스라엘 자손 중에 기업이 없을 것이라 하였노라
18:25 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
18:25 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When all of you take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then all of you shall offer up an heave offering of it for the Jehovah, even a tenth part of the tithe.
18:26 너는 레위인에게 고하여 그에게 이르라 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 취하여 너희에게 기업으로 준 십일조를 너희가 그들에게서 취할 때에 그 십일조의 십일조를 거제로 여호와께 드릴 것이라
18:27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.
18:27 내가 너희의 거제물을 타작 마당에서 받드는 곡물과 포도즙 틀에서 받드는 즙 같이 여기리니
18:28 Thus all of you also shall offer an heave offering unto the Jehovah of all your tithes, which all of you receive of the children of Israel; and all of you shall give thereof the Jehovah's heave offering to Aaron the priest.
18:28 너희는 이스라엘 자손에게서 받는 모든 것의 십일조 중에서 여호와께 거제로 드리고 여호와께 드린 그 거제물은 제사장 아론에게로 돌리되
18:29 Out of all your gifts all of you shall offer every heave offering of the Jehovah, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
18:29 너희의 받은 모든 예물 중에서 너희는 그 아름다운 것 곧 거룩하게 한 부분을 취하여 여호와께 거제로 드릴지니라
18:30 Therefore you shall say unto them, When all of you have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing floor, and as the increase of the winepress.
18:30 이러므로 너는 그들에게 이르라 너희가 그 중에서 아름다운 것을 취하여 드리고 남은 것은 너희 레위인에게는 타작 마당의 소출과 포도즙 틀의 소출 같이 되리니
18:31 And all of you shall eat it in every place, all of you and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
18:31 너희와 너희 권속이 어디서든지 이것을 먹을 수 있음은 이는 회막에서 일한 너희의 보수임이니라
18:32 And all of you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when all of you have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall all of you pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest all of you die.
18:32 너희가 그 중 아름다운 것을 받들어 드린즉 이로 인하여 죄를 지지 아니할 것이라 너희는 이스라엘 자손의 성물을 더럽히지 말라 그리하면 죽지 아니하리라
19:1 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
19:1 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
19:2 This is the ordinance of the law which the Jehovah has commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
19:2 여호와의 명하는 법의 율례를 이제 이르노니 이스라엘 자손에게 일러서 온전하여 흠이 없고 아직 멍에 메지 아니한 붉은 암송아지를 네게로 끌어오게 하고
19:3 And all of you shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
19:3 너는 그것을 제사장 엘르아살에게 줄 것이요 그는 그것을 진 밖으로 끌어 내어서 자기 목전에서 잡게 할 것이며
19:4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:
19:4 제사장 엘르아살은 손가락에 그 피를 찍고 그 피를 회막 앞을 향하여 일곱 번 뿌리고
19:5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
19:5 그 암소를 자기 목전에서 불사르게 하되 그 가죽과 고기와 피와 똥을 불사르게 하고
19:6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
19:6 동시에 제사장은 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색 실을 취하여 암송아지를 사르는 불 가운데 던질 것이며
19:7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
19:7 제사장은 그 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 후에 진에 들어갈 것이라 그는 저녁까지 부정하리라
19:8 And he that burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.
19:8 송아지를 불사른 자도 그 옷을 물로 빨고 물로 그 몸을 씻을 것이라 그도 저녁까지 부정하리라
19:9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
19:9 이에 정한 자가 암송아지의 재를 거두어 진 밖 정한 곳에 둘지니 이것은 이스라엘 자손 회중을 위하여 간직하였다가 부정을 깨끗케 하는 물을 만드는데 쓸 것이니 곧 속죄제니라
19:10 And he that gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourns among them, for a statute for ever.
19:10 암송아지의 재를 거둔 자도 그 옷을 빨 것이며 저녁까지 부정하리라 이는 이스라엘 자손과 그 중에 우거하는 외인에게 영원한 율례니라
19:11 He that touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
19:11 ○ 사람의 시체를 만진 자는 칠 일을 부정하리니
19:12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
19:12 그는 제 삼 일과 제 칠 일에 이 잿물로 스스로 정결케 할 것이라 그리하면 정하려니와 제 삼 일과 제 칠 일에 스스로 정결케 아니하면 그냥 부정하니
19:13 Whosoever touches the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifies not himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
19:13 누구든지 죽은 사람의 시체를 만지고 스스로 정결케 아니하는 자는 여호와의 성막을 더럽힘이라 그가 이스라엘에서 끊쳐질 것은 정결케 하는 물을 그에게 뿌리지 아니하므로 깨끗케 되지 못하고 그 부정함이 그저 있음이니라
19:14 This is the law, when a man dies in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
19:14 ○ 장막에서 사람이 죽을 때의 법은 이러하니 무릇 그 장막에 들어가는 자와 무릇 그 장막에 있는 자가 칠 일 동안 부정할 것이며
19:15 And every open vessel, which has no covering bound upon it, is unclean.
19:15 무릇 뚜껑을 열어 놓고 덮지 아니한 그릇도 부정하니라
19:16 And whosoever touches one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
19:16 누구든지 들에서 칼에 죽이운 자나 시체나 사람의 뼈나 무덤을 만졌으면 칠 일 동안 부정하리니
19:17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:
19:17 그 부정한 자를 위하여 죄를 깨끗하게 하려고 불사른 재를 취하여 흐르는 물과 함께 그릇에 담고
19:18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
19:18 정한 자가 우슬초를 취하여 그 물을 찍어서 장막과 그 모든 기구와 거기 있는 사람들에게 뿌리고 또 뼈나 죽임을 당한 자나 시체나 무덤을 만진 자에게 뿌리되
19:19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
19:19 그 정한 자가 제 삼 일과 제 칠 일에 그 부정한 자에게 뿌려서 제 칠 일에 그를 정결케 할 것이며 그는 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻을 것이라 저녁이면 정하리라
19:20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Jehovah: the water of separation has not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
19:20 ○ 사람이 부정하고도 스스로 정결케 아니하면 여호와의 성소를 더럽힘이니 그러므로 총회 중에서 끊쳐질 것이니라 그는 정결케 하는 물로 뿌리움을 받지 아니하였은즉 부정하니라
19:21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkles the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that touches the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
19:21 이는 그들의 영영한 율례니라 정결케 하는 물을 뿌린 자는 그 옷을 빨 것이며 정결케 하는 물을 만지는 자는 저녁까지 부정할 것이며
19:22 And whatsoever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until even.
19:22 부정한 자가 만진 것은 무엇이든지 부정할 것이며 그것을 만지는 자도 저녁까지 부정하리라
20:1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
20:1 정월에 이스라엘 자손 곧 온 회중이 신 광야에 이르러서 백성이 가데스에 거하더니 미리암이 거기서 죽으매 거기 장사하니라
20:2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
20:2 ○ 회중이 물이 없으므로 모여서 모세와 아론을 공박하니라
20:3 And the people find fault with Moses, and spoke, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the Jehovah!
20:3 백성이 모세와 다투어 말하여 가로되 우리 형제들이 여호와 앞에서 죽을 때에 우리도 죽었더면 좋을 뻔하였도다
20:4 And why have all of you brought up the congregation of the Jehovah into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
20:4 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 총회를 이 광야로 인도하여 올려서 우리와 우리 짐승으로 다 여기서 죽게 하느냐
20:5 And wherefore have all of you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
20:5 너희가 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 나오게 하여 이 악한 곳으로 인도하였느냐 이곳에는 파종할 곳이 없고 무화과도 없고 포도도 없고 석류도 없고 마실 물도 없도다
20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Jehovah appeared unto them.
20:6 모세와 아론이 총회 앞을 떠나 회막문에 이르러 엎드리매 여호와의 영광이 그들에게 나타나며
20:7 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
20:7 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
20:8 Take the rod, and gather you the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak all of you unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink.
20:8 지팡이를 가지고 네 형 아론과 함께 회중을 모으고 그들의 목전에서 너희는 반석에게 명하여 물을 내라 하라 네가 그 반석으로 물을 내게 하여 회중과 그들의 짐승에게 마시울지니라
20:9 And Moses took the rod from before the Jehovah, as he commanded him.
20:9 모세가 그 명대로 여호와의 앞에서 지팡이를 취하니라
20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, all of you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
20:10 ○ 모세와 아론이 총회를 그 반석 앞에 모으고 모세가 그들에게 이르되 패역한 너희여 들으라 우리가 너희를 위하여 이 반석에서 물을 내랴 하고
20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he stroke the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
20:11 그 손을 들어 그 지팡이로 반석을 두 번 치매 물이 많이 솟아나오므로 회중과 그들의 짐승이 마시니라
20:12 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because all of you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore all of you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
20:12 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 이르시되 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하고 이스라엘 자손의 목전에 나의 거룩함을 나타내지 아니한 고로 너희는 이 총회를 내가 그들에게 준 땅으로 인도하여 들이지 못하리라 하시니라
20:13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the Jehovah, and he was sanctified in them.
20:13 이스라엘 자손이 여호와와 다투었으므로 이를 므리바 물이라 하니라 여호와께서 그들 중에서 그 거룩함을 나타내셨더라
20:14 And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the travail that has befallen us:
20:14 ○ 모세가 가데스에서 에돔 왕에게 사자를 보내며 이르되 당신의 형제 이스라엘의 말에 우리의 당한 모든 고난을 당신도 아시거니와
20:15 How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:
20:15 우리 열조가 애굽으로 내려갔으므로 우리가 애굽에 오래 거하였더니 애굽인이 우리 열조와 우리를 학대하였으므로
20:16 And when we cried unto the Jehovah, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border:
20:16 우리가 여호와께 부르짖었더니 우리 소리를 들으시고 천사를 보내사 우리를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨나이다 이제 우리가 당신의 변방 모퉁이 한 성읍 가데스에 있사오니
20:17 Let us pass, I pray you, through your country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your borders.
20:17 청컨대 우리로 당신의 땅을 통과하게 하소서 우리가 밭으로나 포도원으로나 통과하지 아니하고 우물 물도 공히 마시지 아니하고 우리가 왕의 대로로만 통과하고 당신의 지경에서 나가기까지 좌편으로나 우편으로나 치우치지 아니하리이다 한다 하라 하였더니
20:18 And Edom said unto him, You shall not pass by me, lest I come out against you with the sword.
20:18 에돔 왕이 대답하되 너는 우리 가운데로 통과하지 못하리라 내가 나가서 칼로 너를 맞을까 염려하라
20:19 And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of your water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing anything else, go through on my feet.
20:19 이스라엘 자손이 이르되 우리가 대로로 통과하겠고 우리나 우리 짐승이 당신의 물을 마시면 그 값을 줄 것이라 우리가 도보로 통과할 뿐인즉 아무 일도 없으리이다 하나
20:20 And he said, You shall not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
20:20 그는 가로되 너는 지나가지 못하리라 하고 에돔 왕이 많은 백성을 거느리고 나와서 강한 손으로 막으니
20:21 Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
20:21 에돔 왕이 이같이 이스라엘의 그 경내로 통과함을 용납지 아니하므로 이스라엘이 그들에게서 돌이키니라
20:22 And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.
20:22 이스라엘 자손 곧 온 회중이 가데스에서 진행하여 호르 산에 이르렀더니
20:23 And the Jehovah spoke unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
20:23 여호와께서 에돔 땅 변경 호르 산에서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하시니라 가라사대
20:24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because all of you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
20:24 아론은 그 열조에게로 돌아가고 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 준 땅에는 들어가지 못하리니 이는 너희가 므리바 물에서 내 말을 거역한 연고니라
20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
20:25 너는 아론과 그 아들 엘르아살을 데리고 호르 산에 올라
20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
20:26 아론의 옷을 벗겨 그 아들 엘르아살에게 입히라 아론은 거기서 죽어 그 열조에게로 돌아가리라
20:27 And Moses did as the Jehovah commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
20:27 모세가 여호와의 명을 좇아 그들과 함께 회중의 목전에서 호르 산에 오르니라
20:28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.
20:28 모세가 아론의 옷을 벗겨 그 아들 엘르아살에게 입히매 아론이 그 산 꼭대기에서 죽으니라 모세와 엘르아살이 산에서 내려오니
20:29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
20:29 온 회중 곧 이스라엘 온 족속이 아론의 죽은 것을 보고 위하여 삼십 일을 애곡하였더라
21:1 And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.
21:1 남방에 거하는 가나안 사람 곧 아랏의 왕이 이스라엘이 아다림 길로 온다 함을 듣고 이스라엘을 쳐서 그 중 몇 사람을 사로잡은지라
21:2 And Israel vowed a vow unto the Jehovah, and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
21:2 이스라엘이 여호와께 서원하여 가로되 주께서 만일 이 백성을 내 손에 붙이시면 내가 그들의 성읍을 다 멸하리이다
21:3 And the Jehovah hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
21:3 여호와께서 이스라엘의 소리를 들으시고 가나안 사람을 붙이시매 그들과 그 성읍을 다 멸하니라 그러므로 그 곳 이름을 호르마라 하였더라
21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
21:4 ○ 백성이 호르 산에서 진행하여 홍해 길로 좇아 에돔 땅을 둘러 행하려 하였다가 길로 인하여 백성의 마음이 상하니라
21:5 And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have all of you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.
21:5 백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도하여 올려서 이 광야에서 죽게 하는고 이곳에는 식물도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 박한 식물을 싫어하노라 하매
21:6 And the Jehovah sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
21:6 여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라
21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Jehovah, and against you; pray unto the Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
21:7 백성이 모세에게 이르러 가로되 우리가 여호와와 당신을 향하여 원망하므로 범죄하였사오니 여호와께 기도하여 이 뱀들을 우리에게서 떠나게 하소서 모세가 백성을 위하여 기도하매
21:8 And the Jehovah said unto Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks upon it, shall live.
21:8 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 달라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라
21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
21:9 모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자마다 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 살더라
21:10 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
21:10 ○ 이스라엘 자손이 진행하여 오봇에 진 쳤고
21:11 And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.
21:11 오봇에서 진행하여 모압 앞 해 돋는 편 광야 이예아바림에 진 쳤고
21:12 From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.
21:12 거기서 진행하여 세렛 골짜기에 진 쳤고
21:13 From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
21:13 거기서 진행하여 아모리인의 지경에서 흘러 나와서 광야에 이른 아르논 건너편에 진 쳤으니 아르논은 모압과 아모리 사이에서 모압의 경계가 된 것이라
21:14 Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the Jehovah, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
21:14 이러므로 여호와의 전쟁기에 일렀으되 수바의 와헙과 아르논 골짜기와
21:15 And at the stream of the brooks that goes down to the dwelling of Ar, and lies upon the border of Moab.
21:15 모든 골짜기의 비탈은 아르 고을을 향하여 기울어지고 모압의 경계에 닿았도다 하였더라
21:16 And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the Jehovah spoke unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
21:16 거기서 브엘에 이르니 브엘은 여호와께서 모세에게 명하시기를 백성을 모으라 내가 그들에게 물을 주리라 하시던 우물이라
21:17 Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing all of you unto it:
21:17 그때에 이스라엘이 노래하여 가로되 우물 물아 솟아나라 너희는 그것을 노래하라
21:18 The princes dug the well, the nobles of the people dug it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:
21:18 이 우물은 족장들이 팠고 백성의 귀인들이 홀과 지팡이로 판 것이로다 하였더라 광야에서 맛다나에 이르렀고
21:19 And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:
21:19 맛다나에서 나할리엘에 이르렀고 나할리엘에서 바못에 이르렀고
21:20 And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looks toward Jeshimon.
21:20 바못에서 모압 들에 있는 골짜기에 이르러 광야가 내려다 보이는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 이르렀더라
21:21 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,
21:21 ○ 이스라엘이 아모리 왕 시혼에게 사자를 보내어 가로되
21:22 Let me pass through your land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past your borders.
21:22 우리로 당신의 땅을 통과하게 하소서 우리가 밭에든지 포도원에든지 들어가지 아니하며 우물 물도 공히 마시지 아니하고 우리가 당신의 지경에서 다 나가기까지 왕의 대로로만 통행하리이다 하나
21:23 And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
21:23 시혼이 자기 지경으로 이스라엘의 통과함을 용납하지 아니하고 그 백성을 다 모아 이스라엘을 치러 광야로 나와서 야하스에 이르러 이스라엘을 치므로
21:24 And Israel stroke him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
21:24 이스라엘이 칼날로 그들을 쳐서 파하고 그 땅을 아르논부터 얍복까지 점령하여 암몬 자손에게까지 미치니 암몬 자손의 경계는 견고하더라
21:25 And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
21:25 이스라엘이 이같이 그 모든 성읍을 취하고 그 아모리인의 모든 성읍 헤스본과 그 모든 촌락에 거하였으니
21:26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
21:26 헤스본은 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 도성이라 시혼이 모압 전왕을 치고 그 모든 땅을 아르논까지 그 손에서 탈취하였었더라
21:27 Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:
21:27 그러므로 시인이 읊어 가로되 너희는 헤스본으로 올지어다 시혼의 성을 세워 견고히 할지어다
21:28 For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it has consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.
21:28 헤스본에서 불이 나오며 시혼의 성에서 화염이 나와서 모압의 아르를 삼키며 아르논 높은 곳의 주인을 멸하였도다
21:29 Woe to you, Moab! you are undone, O people of Chemosh: he has given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
21:29 모압아 네가 화를 당하였도다 그모스의 백성아 네가 멸망하였도다 그가 그 아들들로 도망케 하였고 그 딸들로 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 포로가 되게 하였도다
21:30 We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reachs unto Medeba.
21:30 우리가 그들을 쏘아서 헤스본을 디본까지 멸하였고 메드바에 가까운 노바까지 황폐케 하였도다 하였더라
21:31 Thus Israel dwelt in the land of the Amorites.
21:31 이스라엘이 아모리인의 땅에 거하였더니
21:32 And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.
21:32 모세가 또 보내어 야셀을 정탐케 하고 그 촌락들을 취하고 그곳에 있던 아모리인을 몰아 내었더라
21:33 And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei.
21:33 ○ 돌이켜 바산 길로 올라가매 바산 왕 옥이 그 백성을 다 거느리고 나와서 그들을 맞아 에드레이에서 싸우려 하는지라
21:34 And the Jehovah said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into your hand, and all his people, and his land; and you shall do to him as you did unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
21:34 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 그를 두려워 말라 내가 그와 그 백성과 그 땅을 네 손에 붙였나니 너는 헤스본에 거하던 아모리인의 왕 시혼에게 행한 것 같이 그에게도 행할지니라
21:35 So they stroke him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
21:35 이에 그와 그 아들들과 그 백성을 다 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 그 땅을 점령하였더라
22:1 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho.
22:1 이스라엘 자손이 또 진행하여 모압 평지에 진 쳤으니 요단 건너편 곧 여리고 맞은편이더라
22:2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
22:2 ○ 십볼의 아들 발락이 이스라엘이 아모리인에게 행한 모든 일을 보았으므로
22:3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.
22:3 모압이 심히 두려워하였으니 이스라엘 백성의 많음을 인함이라 모압이 이스라엘 자손의 연고로 번민하여
22:4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
22:4 미디안 장로들에게 이르되 이제 이 무리가 소가 밭의 풀을 뜯어먹음 같이 우리 사면에 있는 것을 다 뜯어먹으리로다 하니 때에 십볼의 아들 발락이 모압 왕이었더라
22:5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide opposite to me:
22:5 그가 사자를 브올의 아들 발람의 본향 강변 브돌에 보내어 발람을 부르게 하여 가로되 보라 한 민족이 애굽에서 나왔는데 그들이 지면에 덮여서 우리 맞은편에 거하였고
22:6 Come now therefore, I pray you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: possibly I shall prevail, that we may strike them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.
22:6 우리보다 강하니 청컨대 와서 나를 위하여 이 백성을 저주하라 내가 혹 쳐서 이기어 이 땅에서 몰아내리라 그대가 복을 비는 자는 복을 받고 저주하는 자는 저주를 받을 줄을 내가 앎이니라
22:7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spoke unto him the words of Balak.
22:7 ○ 모압 장로들과 미디안 장로들이 손에 복술의 예물을 가지고 떠나 발람에게 이르러 발락의 말로 그에게 고하매
22:8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the Jehovah shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.
22:8 발람이 그들에게 이르되 이 밤에 여기서 유숙하라 여호와께서 내게 이르시는 대로 너희에게 대답하리라 모압 귀족들이 발람에게서 유하니라
22:9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with you?
22:9 하나님이 발람에게 임하여 가라사대 너와 함께 한 이 사람들이 누구냐
22:10 And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent unto me, saying,
22:10 발람이 하나님께 고하되 모압 왕 십볼의 아들 발락이 내게 보낸 자라 이르기를
22:11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covers the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; possibly I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
22:11 보라 애굽에서 나온 민족이 있어 지면에 덮였으니 이제 와서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하라 내가 혹 그들을 쳐서 몰아낼 수 있으리라 하나이다
22:12 And God said unto Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people: for they are blessed.
22:12 하나님이 발람에게 이르시되 너는 그들과 함께 가지도 말고 그 백성을 저주하지도 말라 그들은 복을 받은 자니라
22:13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the Jehovah refuses to give me leave to go with you.
22:13 발람이 아침에 일어나서 발락의 귀족들에게 이르되 너희는 너희의 땅으로 돌아가라 내가 너희와 함께 가기를 여호와께서 허락지 아니하시느니라
22:14 And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuses to come with us.
22:14 모압 귀족들이 일어나 발락에게로 가서 고하되 발람이 우리와 함께 오기를 거절하더이다
22:15 And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they.
22:15 발락이 다시 그들보다 더 높은 귀족들을 더 많이 보내매
22:16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus says Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray you, hinder you from coming unto me:
22:16 그들이 발람에게로 나아가서 그에게 이르되 십볼의 아들 발락의 말씀에 청컨대 아무 것에도 거리끼지 말고 내게로 오라
22:17 For I will promote you unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever you says unto me: come therefore, I pray you, curse me this people.
22:17 내가 그대를 높여 크게 존귀케 하고 그대가 내게 말하는 것은 무엇이든지 시행하리니 청컨대 와서 나를 위하여 이 백성을 저주하라 하시더이다
22:18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the Jehovah my God, to do less or more.
22:18 발람이 발락의 신하들에게 대답하여 가로되 발락이 그 집에 은, 금을 가득히 채워서 내게 줄지라도 내가 능히 여호와 내 하나님의 말씀을 어기어 덜하거나 더하지 못하겠노라
22:19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry all of you also here this night, that I may know what the Jehovah will say unto me more.
22:19 그런즉 이제 너희도 이 밤에 여기서 유하라 여호와께서 내게 무슨 말씀을 더 하실는지 알아보리라
22:20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call you, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto you, that shall you do.
22:20 밤에 하나님이 발람에게 임하여 이르시되 그 사람들이 너를 부르러 왔거든 일어나 함께 가라 그러나 내가 네게 이르는 말만 준행할지니라
22:21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
22:21 ○ 발람이 아침에 일어나서 자기 나귀에 안장을 지우고 모압 귀족들과 함께 행하니
22:22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Jehovah stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
22:22 그가 행함을 인하여 하나님이 진노하심으로 여호와의 사자가 그를 막으려고 길에 서니라 발람은 자기 나귀를 타고 그 두 종은 그와 함께 있더니
22:23 And the ass saw the angel of the Jehovah standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam stroke the ass, to turn her into the way.
22:23 나귀가 여호와의 사자가 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 길에 선 것을 보고 길에서 떠나 밭으로 들어간지라 발람이 나귀를 길로 돌이키려고 채찍질하니
22:24 But the angel of the Jehovah stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
22:24 여호와의 사자는 포도원 사이 좁은 길에 섰고 좌우에는 담이 있더라
22:25 And when the ass saw the angel of the Jehovah, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he stroke her again.
22:25 나귀가 여호와의 사자를 보고 몸을 담에 대고 발람의 발을 그 담에 비비어 상하게 하매 발람이 다시 채찍질하니
22:26 And the angel of the Jehovah went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
22:26 여호와의 사자가 더 나아가서 좌우로 피할 데 없는 좁은 곳에 선지라
22:27 And when the ass saw the angel of the Jehovah, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he stroke the ass with a staff.
22:27 나귀가 여호와의 사자를 보고 발람의 밑에 엎드리니 발람이 노하여 자기 지팡이로 나귀를 때리는지라
22:28 And the Jehovah opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto you, that you have smitten me these three times?
22:28 여호와께서 나귀 입을 여시니 발람에게 이르되 내가 네게 무엇을 하였기에 나를 이같이 세 번을 때리느뇨
22:29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because you have mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill you.
22:29 발람이 나귀에게 말하되 네가 나를 거역하는 연고니 내 손에 칼이 있었더면 곧 너를 죽였으리라
22:30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I yours ass, upon which you have ridden ever since I was yours unto this day? was I ever known to do so unto you? And he said, Nay.
22:30 나귀가 발람에게 이르되 나는 네가 오늘까지 네 일생에 타는 나귀가 아니냐 내가 언제든지 네게 이같이 하는 행습이 있더냐 가로되 없었느니라
22:31 Then the Jehovah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Jehovah standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
22:31 ○ 때에 여호와께서 발람의 눈을 밝히시매 여호와의 사자가 손에 칼을 빼어 들고 길에 선 것을 보고 머리를 숙이고 엎드리니
22:32 And the angel of the Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore have you smitten yours ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand you, because your way is perverse before me:
22:32 여호와의 사자가 그에게 이르되 너는 어찌하여 네 나귀를 이같이 세 번 때렸느냐 보라 네 길이 내 앞에 패역하므로 내가 너를 막으려고 나왔더니
22:33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain you, and saved her alive.
22:33 나귀가 나를 보고 이같이 세 번을 돌이켜 내 앞에서 피하였느니라 나귀가 만일 돌이켜 나를 피하지 아니하였더면 내가 벌써 너를 죽이고 나귀는 살렸으리라
22:34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the Jehovah, I have sinned; for I knew not that you stood in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease you, I will get me back again.
22:34 발람이 여호와의 사자에게 말씀하되 내가 범죄하였나이다 당신이 나를 막으려고 길에 서신 줄을 내가 알지 못하였나이다 당신이 이를 기뻐하지 아니하시면 나는 돌아가겠나이다
22:35 And the angel of the Jehovah said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
22:35 여호와의 사자가 발람에게 이르되 그 사람들과 함께 가라 내가 네게 이르는 말만 말할지니라 발람이 발락의 귀족들과 함께 가니라
22:36 And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.
22:36 ○ 발락이 발람의 온다 함을 듣고 모압 변경의 끝 아르논 가에 있는 성읍까지 가서 그를 영접하고
22:37 And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto you to call you? wherefore came you not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote you to honour?
22:37 발락이 발람에게 이르되 내가 특별히 보내어 그대를 부르지 아니하였느냐 그대가 어찌 내게 오지 아니하였느냐 내가 어찌 그대를 높여 존귀케 하지 못하겠느냐
22:38 And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto you: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.
22:38 발람이 발락에게 이르되 내가 오기는 하였으나 무엇을 임의로 말할 수 있으리이까 하나님이 내 입에 주시는 말씀 그것을 말할 뿐이니이다
22:39 And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth.
22:39 발람이 발락과 동행하여 기럇후솟에 이르러서는
22:40 And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.
22:40 발락이 우양을 잡아 발람과 그와 함께 한 귀족을 대접하였더라
22:41 And it came to pass on the next day, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
22:41 ○ 아침에 발락이 발람과 함께 하고 그를 인도하여 바알의 산당에 오르매 발람이 거기서 이스라엘 백성의 진 끝까지 보니라
23:1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
23:1 발람이 발락에게 이르되 나를 위하여 여기 일곱 단을 쌓고 거기 수송아지 일곱과 수양 일곱을 준비하소서 하매
23:2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
23:2 발락이 발람의 말대로 준비한 후에 발락과 발람이 매 단에 수송아지 하나와 수양 하나를 드리니라
23:3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go: possibly the Jehovah will come to meet me: and whatsoever he shows me I will tell you. And he went to an high place.
23:3 발람이 발락에게 이르되 당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서 나는 저리로 갈지라 여호와께서 혹시 오셔서 나를 만나시리니 그가 내게 지시하시는 것은 다 당신에게 고하리이다 하고 사태난 산에 이른즉
23:4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
23:4 하나님이 발람에게 임하시는지라 발람이 고하되 내가 일곱 단을 베풀고 매 단에 수송아지 하나와 수양 하나를 드렸나이다
23:5 And the Jehovah put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus you shall speak.
23:5 여호와께서 발람의 입에 말씀을 주어 가라사대 발락에게 돌아가서 이렇게 말할지니라
23:6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
23:6 그가 발락에게 돌아간즉 발락과 모압 모든 귀족이 번제물 곁에 함께 섰더라
23:7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
23:7 발람이 노래를 지어 가로되 발락이 나를 아람에서, 모압 왕이 동편 산에서 데려다가 이르기를 와서 나를 위하여 야곱을 저주하라, 와서 이스라엘을 꾸짖으라 하도다
23:8 How shall I curse, whom God has not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Jehovah has not defied?
23:8 하나님이 저주치 않으신 자를 내 어찌 저주하며 여호와께서 꾸짖지 않으신 자를 내 어찌 꾸짖을꼬
23:9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
23:9 내가 바위 위에서 그들을 보며 작은 산에서 그들을 바라보니 이 백성은 홀로 처할 것이라 그를 열방 중의 하나로 여기지 않으리로다
23:10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
23:10 야곱의 티끌을 뉘 능히 계산하며 이스라엘 사분지 일을 뉘 능히 계수할꼬 나는 의인의 죽음 같이 죽기를 원하며 나의 종말이 그와 같기를 바라도다 하매
23:11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What have you done unto me? I took you to curse mine enemies, and, behold, you have blessed them altogether.
23:11 발락이 발람에게 이르되 그대가 어찌 내게 이같이 행하느냐 나의 원수를 저주하라고 그대를 데려왔거늘 그대가 온전히 축복하였도다
23:12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Jehovah has put in my mouth?
23:12 대답하여 가로되 여호와께서 내 입에 주신 말씀을 내가 어찌 말하지 아니할 수 있으리이까
23:13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray you, with me unto another place, from whence you may see them: you shall see but the utmost part of them, and shall not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
23:13 ○ 발락이 가로되 나와 함께 그들을 달리 볼 곳으로 가자 거기서는 그들을 다 보지 못하고 그 끝만 보리니 거기서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하라 하고
23:14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
23:14 소빔 들로 인도하여 비스가 꼭대기에 이르러 일곱 단을 쌓고 매 단에 수송아지 하나와 수양 하나를 드리니
23:15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet the Jehovah yonder.
23:15 발람이 발락에게 이르되 내가 저기서 여호와를 만날 동안에 여기 당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서 하니라
23:16 And the Jehovah met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
23:16 여호와께서 발람에게 임하사 그 입에 말씀을 주어 가라사대 발락에게로 돌아가서 이렇게 말할지니라
23:17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What has the Jehovah spoken?
23:17 발람이 와서 본즉 발락이 번제물 곁에 섰고 모압 귀족들이 함께 있더라 발락이 발람에게 이르되 여호와께서 무슨 말씀을 하시더냐
23:18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, you son of Zippor:
23:18 발람이 노래를 지어 가로되 발락이여 일어나 들을지어다 십볼의 아들이여 나를 자세히 들으라
23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
23:19 하나님은 인생이 아니시니 식언치 않으시고 인자가 아니시니 후회가 없으시도다 어찌 그 말씀하신 바를 행치 않으시며 하신 말씀을 실행치 않으시랴
23:20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he has blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
23:20 내가 축복의 명을 받았으니 그가 하신 축복을 내가 돌이킬 수 없도다
23:21 He has not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither has he seen perverseness in Israel: the Jehovah his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
23:21 여호와는 야곱의 허물을 보지 아니하시며 이스라엘의 패역을 보지 아니하시는도다 여호와 그의 하나님이 그와 함께 계시니 왕을 부르는 소리가 그 중에 있도다
23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of an unicorn (p. ox).
23:22 하나님이 그들을 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 그 힘이 들소와 같도다
23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!
23:23 야곱을 해할 사술이 없고 이스라엘을 해할 복술이 없도다 이때에 야곱과 이스라엘에 대하여 논할진대 하나님의 행하신 일이 어찌 그리 크뇨 하리로다
23:24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
23:24 이 백성이 암사자 같이 일어나고 수사자 같이 일어나서 움킨 것을 먹으며 죽인 피를 마시기 전에는 눕지 아니하리로다 하매
23:25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
23:25 발락이 발람에게 이르되 그들을 저주하지도 말고 축복하지도 말라
23:26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I you, saying, All that the Jehovah speaks, that I must do?
23:26 발람이 발락에게 대답하여 가로되 내가 당신에게 고하여 이르기를 여호와께서 말씀하신 것은 내가 그대로 하지 않을 수 없다고 하지 아니하더이까
23:27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray you, I will bring you unto another place; possibly it will please God that you may curse me them from thence.
23:27 ○ 발락이 발람에게 또 이르되 오라 내가 너를 다른 곳으로 인도하리니 네가 거기서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하기를 하나님이 혹시 기뻐하시리라 하고
23:28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looks toward Jeshimon.
23:28 발락이 발람을 인도하여 광야가 내려다 보이는 브올 산 꼭대기에 이르니
23:29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
23:29 발람이 발락에게 이르되 나를 위하여 여기 일곱 단을 쌓고 거기 수송아지 일곱과 수양 일곱을 준비하소서
23:30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
23:30 발락이 발람의 말대로 행하여 매 단에 수송아지 하나와 수양 하나를 드리니라
24:1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the Jehovah to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
24:1 발람이 자기가 이스라엘을 축복하는 것을 여호와께서 선히 여기심을 보고 전과 같이 사술을 쓰지 아니하고 그 낯을 광야로 향하여
24:2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
24:2 눈을 들어 이스라엘이 그 지파대로 거하는 것을 보는 동시에 하나님의 신이 그 위에 임하신지라
24:3 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor has said, and the man whose eyes are open has said:
24:3 그가 노래를 지어 가로되 브올의 아들 발람이 말하며 눈을 감았던 자가 말하며
24:4 He has said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
24:4 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자, 전능자의 이상을 보는 자, 엎드려서 눈을 뜬 자가 말하기를
24:5 How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel!
24:5 야곱이여 네 장막이, 이스라엘이여 네 거처가 어찌 그리 아름다운고
24:6 As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the Jehovah has planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
24:6 그 벌어짐이 골짜기 같고, 강 가의 동산 같으며, 여호와의 심으신 침향목들 같고, 물가의 백향목들 같도다
24:7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
24:7 그 통에서는 물이 넘치겠고 그 종자는 많은 물가에 있으리로다 그 왕이 아각보다 높으니 그 나라가 진흥하리로다
24:8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of an unicorn (p. ox): he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
24:8 하나님이 그를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 그 힘이 들소와 같도다 그 적국을 삼키고 그들의 뼈를 꺽으며 화살을 쏘아 꿰뚫으리로다
24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesses you, and cursed is he that curses you.
24:9 꿇어 앉고 누움이 수사자와 같고 암사자와도 같으니 일으킬 자 누구이랴 너를 축복하는 자마다 복을 받을 것이요 너를 저주하는 자마다 저주를 받을지로다
24:10 And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he stroke his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called you to curse mine enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.
24:10 ○ 발락이 발람에게 노하여 손뼉을 치며 발람에게 말하되 내가 그대를 부른 것은 내 원수를 저주하라 함이어늘 그대가 이같이 세 번 그들을 축복하였도다
24:11 Therefore now flee you to your place: I thought to promote you unto great honour; but, lo, the Jehovah has kept you back from honour.
24:11 그러므로 그대는 이제 그대의 곳으로 달려가라 내가 그대를 높여 심히 존귀케 하기로 뜻하였더니 여호와가 그대를 막아 존귀치 못하게 하셨도다
24:12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spoke I not also to your messengers which you sent unto me, saying,
24:12 발람이 발락에게 이르되 당신이 내게 보낸 사자들에게 내가 고하여 이르지 아니하였나이까
24:13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Jehovah, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Jehovah says, that will I speak?
24:13 가령 발락이 그 집에 은금을 가득히 채워서 내게 줄지라도 나는 여호와의 말씀을 어기고 선악간 임의로 행하지 못하고 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 말하리라 하지 아니하였나이까
24:14 And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.
24:14 이제 나는 내 백성에게로 돌아가거니와 들으소서 내가 이 백성이 후일에 당신의 백성에게 어떻게 할 것을 당신에게 고하리이다 하고
24:15 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor has said, and the man whose eyes are open has said:
24:15 노래를 지어 가로되 브올의 아들 발람이 말하며 눈을 감았던 자가 말하며
24:16 He has said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
24:16 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자가 말하며 지극히 높으신 자의 지식을 아는 자, 전능자의 이상을 보는 자, 엎드려서 눈을 뜬 자가 말하기를
24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall strike the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
24:17 내가 그를 보아도 이때의 일이 아니며 내가 그를 바라보아도 가까운 일이 아니로다 한 별이 야곱에게서 나오며 한 홀이 이스라엘에게서 일어나서 모압을 이편에서 저편까지 쳐서 파하고 또 소동하는 자식들을 다 멸하리로다
24:18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
24:18 그 원수 에돔은 그들의 산업이 되며 그 원수 세일도 그들의 산업이 되고 그 동시에 이스라엘은 용감히 행동하리로다
24:19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains of the city.
24:19 주권자가 야곱에게서 나서 남은 자들을 그 성읍에서 멸절하리로다 하고
24:20 And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
24:20 또 아말렉을 바라보며 노래를 지어 가로되 아말렉은 열국 중 으뜸이나 종말은 멸망에 이르리로다 하고
24:21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is your dwelling place, and you put your nest in a rock.
24:21 또 가인 족속을 바라보며 노래를 지어 가로되 너의 거처가 견고하니 네 보금자리는 바위에 있도다
24:22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry you away captive.
24:22 그러나 가인이 쇠미하리니 나중에는 앗수르의 포로가 되리로다 하고
24:23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God does this!
24:23 또 노래를 지어 가로되 슬프다 하나님이 이 일을 행하시리니 그때에 살 자가 누구이랴
24:24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
24:24 깃딤 해변에서 배들이 와서 앗수르를 학대하며 에벨을 괴롭게 하리라마는 그도 멸망하리로다 하고
24:25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
24:25 발람이 일어나 자기 곳으로 돌아갔고 발락도 자기 길로 갔더라
