8:1 이스라엘 자손이 그 본성에 거하였더니 칠 월에 이르러는 모든 백성이 일제히
수문 앞 광장에 모여 학사 에스라에게 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 명하신 모세의 율법책을
가지고 오기를 청하매
8:1 And when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their towns. And
all the people came together like one man into the wide place in front of the water-doorway;
and they made a request to Ezra the scribe that he would put before them the book
of the law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel.
8:1 And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spoke unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
8:2 칠 월 일 일에 제사장 에스라가 율법책을 가지고 남자, 여자 무릇 알아들을
만한 회중 앞에 이르러
8:2 And Ezra the priest put the law before the meeting of the people, before the men
and women and all those who were able to take it in, on the first day of the seventh
month.
8:2 And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
8:3 수문 앞 광장에서 새벽부터 오정까지 남자, 여자 무릇 알아 들을 만한 자의
앞에서 읽으매 뭇백성이 그 율법책에 귀를 기울였는데
8:3 He was reading it in the wide place in front of the water-doorway, from early morning
till the middle of the day, in the hearing of all those men and women whose minds
were able to take it in; and the ears of all the people were open to the book of
the law.
8:3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
8:4 때에 학사 에스라가 특별히 지은 나무 강단에 서매 그 우편에 선 자는 맛디댜와
스마와 아나야와 우리야와 힐기야와 마아세야요 그 좌편에 선 자는 브다야와 미사엘과
말기야와 하숨과 하스밧다나와 스가랴와 므술람이라
8:4 And Ezra the scribe took his place on a tower of wood which they had made for the
purpose; and by his side were placed Mattithiah and Shema and Anaiah and Uriah and
Hilkiah and Maaseiah on the right; and on the left, Pedaiah and Mishael and Malchijah
and Hashum and Hashbaddanah, Zechariah and Meshullam.
8:4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
8:5 학사 에스라가 모든 백성 위에 서서 저희 목전에 책을 펴니 책을 펼 때에
모든 백성이 일어서니라
8:5 And Ezra took the book, opening it before the eyes of all the people (for he was
higher than the people); and when it was open, all the people got to their feet:
8:5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:
8:6 에스라가 광대하신 하나님 여호와를 송축하매 모든 백성이 손을 들고 아멘
아멘 응답하고 몸을 굽혀 얼굴을 땅에 대고 여호와께 경배하였느니라
8:6 And Ezra gave praise to the Lord, the great God. And all the people in answer said,
So be it, so be it; lifting up their hands; and with bent heads they gave worship
to the Lord, going down on their faces to the earth.
8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
8:7 예수아와 바니와 세레뱌와 야민과 악굽과 사브대와 호디야와 마아세야와 그리다와
아사랴와 요사밧과 하난과 블라야와 레위 사람들이 다 그 처소에 섰는 백성에게 율법을
깨닫게 하는데
8:7 And Jeshua and Bani and Sherebiah and Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah,
Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites made the law clear to
the people: and the people kept in their places.
8:7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
8:8 하나님의 율법책을 낭독하고 그 뜻을 해석하여 백성으로 그 낭독하는 것을
다 깨닫게 하매
8:8 And they gave out the words of the book the law of God, clearly, and gave the sense
of it, so that their minds were able to take it in.
8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
8:9 백성이 율법의 말씀을 듣고 다 우는지라 총독 느헤미야와 제사장 겸 학사
에스라와 백성을 가르치는 레위 사람들이 모든 백성에게 이르기를 오늘은 너희 하나님
여호와의 성일이니 슬퍼하지 말며 울지 말라 하고
8:9 And Nehemiah, who was the Tirshatha, and Ezra, the priest and scribe, and the Levites
who were the teachers of the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to
the Lord your God; let there be no sorrow or weeping; for all the people were weeping
on hearing the words of the law.
8:9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
8:10 느헤미야가 또 이르기를 너희는 가서 살진 것을 먹고 단 것을 마시되 예비치
못한 자에게는 너희가 나누어 주라 이 날은 우리 주의 성일이니 근심하지 말라 여호와를
기뻐하는 것이 너희의 힘이니라 하고
8:10 Then he said to them, Go away now, and take the fat for your food and the sweet
for your drink, and send some to him for whom nothing is made ready: for this day
is holy to our Lord: and let there be no grief in your hearts; for the joy of the
Lord is your strong place.
8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be all of you sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
8:11 레위 사람들도 모든 백성을 정숙케 하여 이르기를 오늘은 성일이니 마땅히
종용하고 근심하지 말라 하매
8:11 So the Levites made all the people quiet, saying, Be quiet, for the day is holy;
and do not give way to grief.
8:11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be all of you grieved.
8:12 모든 백성이 곧 가서 먹고 마시며 나누어 주고 크게 즐거워하였으니 이는
그 읽어 들린 말을 밝히 앎이니라
8:12 And all the people went away to take food and drink, and to send food to others,
and to be glad, because the words which were said to them had been made clear.
8:12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great delight, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
8:13 ○ 그 이튿날 뭇백성의 족장들과 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 율법의 말씀을
밝히 알고자 하여 학사 에스라의 곳에 모여서
8:13 And on the second day the heads of families of all the people and the priests and
the Levites came together to Ezra the scribe, to give attention to the words of
the law.
8:13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.
8:14 율법책을 본즉 여호와께서 모세로 명하시기를 이스라엘 자손은 칠 월 절기에
초막에 거할지니라 하였고
8:14 And they saw that it was recorded in the law that the Lord had given orders by Moses,
that the children of Israel were to have tents for their living-places in the feast
of the seventh month:
8:14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
8:15 또 일렀으되 모든 성읍과 예루살렘에 공포하여 이르기를 너희는 산에 가서
감람나무 가지와 들 감람나무 가지와 화석류나무 가지와 종려나무 가지와 기타 무성한
나무 가지를 취하여 기록한 바를 따라 초막을 지으라 하라 하였는지라
8:15 And that they were to give out an order, and make it public in all their towns and
in Jerusalem, saying, Go out to the mountain and get olive branches and branches
of field olives and of myrtle, and palm branches and branches of thick trees, to
make tents, as it says in the book.
8:15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.
8:16 백성이 이에 나가서 나무 가지를 취하여 혹은 지붕 위에 혹은 뜰 안에 혹은
하나님의 전 뜰에 혹은 수문 광장에 혹은 에브라임 문 광장에 초막을 짓되
8:16 And the people went out and got them and made themselves tents, every one on the
roof of his house, and in the open spaces and in the open squares of the house of
God, and in the wide place of the water-doorway, and the wide place of the doorway
of Ephraim.
8:16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
8:17 사로잡혔다가 돌아온 회 무리가 다 초막을 짓고 그 안에 거하니 눈의 아들
여호수아 때로부터 그 날까지 이스라엘 자손이 이같이 행함이 없었으므로 이에 크게
즐거워하며
8:17 All the people who had been prisoners and had come back, made tents and were living
in them: for from the time of Jeshua, the son of Nun, till that day, the children
of Israel had not done so. And there was very great joy.
8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
8:18 에스라는 첫날부터 끝날까지 날마다 하나님의 율법책을 낭독하고 무리가
칠 일 동안 절기를 지키고 제 팔 일에 규례를 따라 성회를 열었느니라
8:18 And day by day, from the first day till the last, he was reading from the book of
the law of God. And they kept the feast for seven days: and on the eighth day there
was a holy meeting, as it is ordered in the law.
8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
9:1 그 달 이십 사 일에 이스라엘 자손이 다 모여 금식하며 굵은 베를 입고 티끌을
무릅쓰며
9:1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel came together,
taking no food and putting haircloth and dust on their bodies.
9:1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sack clothes, and earth upon them.
9:2 모든 이방 사람과 절교하고 서서 자기의 죄와 열조의 허물을 자복하고
9:2 And the seed of Israel made themselves separate from all the men of other nations,
publicly requesting forgiveness for their sins and the wrongdoing of their fathers.
9:2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
9:3 이 날에 낮 사분지 일은 그 처소에 서서 그 하나님 여호와의 율법책을 낭독하고
낮 사분지 일은 죄를 자복하며 그 하나님 여호와께 경배하는데
9:3 And for a fourth part of the day, upright in their places, they were reading from
the book of the law of their God; and for a fourth part of the day they were requesting
forgiveness and worshipping the Lord their God.
9:3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
9:4 레위 사람 예수아와 바니와 갓미엘과 스바냐와 분니와 세레뱌와 바니와 그나니는
대에 올라서서 큰 소리로 그 하나님 여호와께 부르짖고
9:4 Then Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani took
their places on the steps of the Levites, crying in a loud voice to the Lord their
God.
9:4 Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.
9:5 또 레위 사람 예수아와 갓미엘과 바니와 하삽느야와 세레뱌와 호디야와 스바냐와
브다히야는 이르기를 너희 무리는 마땅히 일어나 영원부터 영원까지 계신 너희 하나님
여호와를 송축할지어다 주여 주의 영화로운 이름을 송축하올 것은 주의 이름이 존귀하여
모든 송축이나 찬양에서 뛰어남이니이다
9:5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah,
and Pethahiah said, Get up and give praise to the Lord your God for ever and ever.
Praise be to your great name which is lifted up high over all blessing and praise.
9:5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
9:6 오직 주는 여호와시라 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘과 일월 성신과 땅과 땅 위의 만물과
바다와 그 가운데 모든 것을 지으시고 다 보존하시오니 모든 천군이 주께 경배하나이다
9:6 You are the Lord, even you only; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens with
all their armies, the earth and all things in it, the seas and everything in them;
and you keep them from destruction: and the armies of heaven are your worshippers.
9:6 You, even you, are LORD alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and you preserve them all; and the host of heaven worships you.
9:7 주는 하나님 여호와시라 옛적에 아브람을 택하시고 갈대아 우르에서 인도하여
내시고 아브라함이라는 이름을 주시고
9:7 You are the Lord, the God, who took Abram and made him yours, guiding him from Ur
of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham;
9:7 You are the LORD the God, who did choose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham;
9:8 그 마음이 주 앞에서 충성됨을 보시고 더불어 언약을 세우사 가나안 족속과
헷 족속과 아모리 족속과 브리스 족속과 여부스 족속과 기르가스 족속의 땅을 그
씨에게 주리라 하시더니 그 말씀대로 이루셨사오니 주는 의로우심이로소이다
9:8 You saw that his heart was true to you, and made an agreement with him to give the
land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite
and the Girgashite, even to give it to his seed, and you have done what you said;
for righteousness is yours:
9:8 And found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and have performed your words; for you are righteous:
9:9 주께서 우리 열조가 애굽에서 고난 받는 것을 감찰하시며 홍해에서 부르짖음을
들으시고
9:9 And you saw the trouble of our fathers in Egypt, and their cry came to your ears
by the Red Sea;
9:9 And did see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red sea;
9:10 이적과 기사를 베푸사 바로와 그 모든 신하와 그 나라 온 백성을 치셨사오니
이는 저희가 우리의 열조에게 교만히 행함을 아셨음이라 오늘날과 같이 명예를 얻으셨나이다
9:10 And you did signs and wonders on Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people
of his land; for you saw how cruel they were to them. So you got yourself a name
as it is today.
9:10 And showed signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for you knew that they dealt proudly against them. So did you get you a name, as it is this day.
9:11 주께서 또 우리 열조 앞에서 바다를 갈라지게 하시사 저희로 바다 가운데를
육지 같이 통과하게 하시고 쫓아오는 자를 돌을 큰 물에 던짐 같이 깊은 물에 던지시고
9:11 By you the sea was parted before them, so that they went through the sea on dry
land; and those who went after them went down into the deep, like a stone into great
waters.
9:11 And you did divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors you threw into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
9:12 낮에는 구름 기둥으로 인도하시고 밤에는 불 기둥으로 그 행할 길을 비취셨사오며
9:12 And you went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, and in a pillar of fire by
night, to give them light on the way they were to go.
9:12 Moreover you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
9:13 또 시내 산에 강림하시고 하늘에서부터 저희와 말씀하사 정직한 규례와 진정한
율법과 선한 율례와 계명을 저희에게 주시고
9:13 And you came down on Mount Sinai, and your voice came to them from heaven, giving
them right decisions and true laws, good rules and orders:
9:13 You came down also upon mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
9:14 거룩한 안식일을 저희에게 알리시며 주의 종 모세로 계명과 율례와 율법을
저희에게 명하시고
9:14 And you gave them word of your holy Sabbath, and gave them orders and rules and
a law, by the hand of Moses your servant:
9:14 And made known unto them your holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses your servant:
9:15 저희의 주림을 인하여 하늘에서 양식을 주시며 저희의 목마름을 인하여 반석에서
물을 내시고 또 주께서 옛적에 손을 들어 맹세하시고 주마 하신 땅을 들어가서 차지하라
명하셨사오나
9:15 And you gave them bread from heaven when they were in need, and made water come
out of the rock for their drink, and gave them orders to go in and take for their
heritage the land which your hand had been lifted up to give them.
9:15 And gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.
9:16 저희와 우리 열조가 교만히 하고 목을 굳게 하여 주의 명령을 듣지 아니하고
9:16 But they and our fathers, in their pride, made their necks stiff, and gave no attention
to your orders,
9:16 But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to your commandments,
9:17 거역하며 주께서 저희 가운데 행하신 기사를 생각지 아니하고 목을 굳게 하며
패역하여 스스로 한 두목을 세우고 종 되었던 땅으로 돌아가고자 하였사오나 오직
주는 사유하시는 하나님이시라 은혜로우시며 긍휼히 여기시며 더디 노하시며 인자가
풍부하시므로 저희를 버리지 아니하셨나이다
9:17 And would not do them, and gave no thought to the wonders you had done among them;
but made their necks stiff, and turning away from you, made a captain over themselves
to take them back to their prison in Egypt: but you are a God of forgiveness, full
of grace and pity, slow to wrath and great in mercy, and you did not give them up.
9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsook them not.
9:18 또 저희가 송아지를 부어 만들고 이르기를 이는 곧 너희를 인도하여 애굽에서
나오게 하신 하나님이라 하여 크게 설만하게 하였사오나
9:18 Even when they had made for themselves an ox of metal, and said, This is your God
who took you up out of Egypt, and had done so much to make you angry;
9:18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is your God that brought you up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;
9:19 주께서는 연하여 긍휼을 베푸사 저희를 광야에 버리지 아니하시고 낮에는
구름 기둥으로 길을 인도하시며 밤에는 불 기둥으로 그 행할 길을 비취사 떠나게
아니하셨사오며
9:19 Even then, in your great mercy, you did not give them up in the waste land: the
pillar of cloud still went before them by day, guiding them on their way, and the
pillar of fire by night, to give them light, and make clear the way they were to
go.
9:19 Yet you in your manifold mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way wherein they should go.
9:20 또 주의 선한 신을 주사 저희를 가르치시며 주의 만나로 저희 입에 끊어지지
않게 하시고 저희의 목마름을 인하여 물을 주시사
9:20 And you gave your good spirit to be their teacher, and did not keep back your manna
from their mouths, and gave them water when they had need of it.
9:20 You gave also your good spirit to instruct them, and withheld not your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.
9:21 사십 년 동안을 들에서 기르시되 결핍함이 없게 하시므로 그 옷이 해어지지
아니하였고 발이 부릍지 아니하였사오며
9:21 Truly, for forty years you were their support in the waste land, and they were in
need of nothing; their clothing did not get old or their feet become tired.
9:21 Yea, forty years did you sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
9:22 또 나라들과 족속들을 저희에게 각각 나누어 주시매 저희가 시혼의 땅 곧
헤스본 왕의 땅과 바산 왕 옥의 땅을 차지하였나이다
9:22 And you gave them kingdoms and peoples, making distribution to them in every part
of the land: so they took for their heritage the land of Sihon, even the land of
the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og, king of Bashan.
9:22 Moreover you gave them kingdoms and nations, and did divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
9:23 주께서 그 자손을 하늘의 별 같이 많게 하시고 전에 그 열조에게 명하사 들어가서
차지하라고 하신 땅으로 인도하여 이르게 하셨으므로
9:23 And you made their children as great in number as the stars of heaven, and took
them into the land, of which you had said to their fathers that they were to go
in and take it for themselves.
9:23 Their children also multiplied you as the stars of heaven, and brought them into the land, concerning which you had promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.
9:24 그 자손이 들어가서 땅을 차지하되 주께서 그 땅 가나안 거민으로 저희 앞에
복종케 하실 때에 가나안 사람과 그 왕들과 본토 여러 족속을 저희 손에 붙여 임의로
행하게 하시매
9:24 So the children went in and took the land, and you overcame before them the people
of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them up into their hands, with their kings
and the people of the land, so that they might do with them whatever it was their
pleasure to do.
9:24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.
9:25 저희가 견고한 성들과 기름진 땅을 취하고 모든 아름다운 물건을 채운 집과
파서 만든 우물과 포도원과 감람원과 허다한 과목을 차지하여 배불리 먹어 살지고
주의 큰 복을 즐겼사오나
9:25 And they took walled towns and a fat land, and became the owners of houses full
of all good things, water-holes cut in the rock, vine-gardens and olive-gardens
and a wealth of fruit-trees: so they had food enough and became fat, and had joy
in the good you gave them.
9:25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells dug, vineyards, and olive yards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.
9:26 저희가 오히려 순종치 아니하고 주를 거역하며 주의 율법을 등 뒤에 두고
주께로 돌아오기를 권면하는 선지자들을 죽여 크게 설만하게 행하였나이다
9:26 But they were hard-hearted, and went against your authority, turning their backs
on your law, and putting to death your prophets, who gave witness against them with
the purpose of turning them back again to you, and they did much to make you angry.
9:26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and cast your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they wrought great provocations.
9:27 그러므로 주께서 그 대적의 손에 붙이사 곤고를 당하게 하시매 저희가 환난을
당하여 주께 부르짖을 때에 주께서 하늘에서 들으시고 크게 긍휼을 발하사 구원자들을
주어 대적의 손에서 구원하셨거늘
9:27 And so you gave them up into the hands of their haters who were cruel to them: and
in the time of their trouble, when they made their prayer to you, you gave ear to
them from heaven; and in your great mercy gave them saviours, who made them free
from the hands of their haters.
9:27 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
9:28 저희가 평강을 얻은 후에 다시 주 앞에서 악을 행하므로 주께서 그 대적의
손에 버려 두사 대적에게 제어를 받게 하시다가 저희가 돌이켜서 주께 부르짖으매
주께서 하늘에서 들으시고 여러 번 긍휼을 발하사 건져내시고
9:28 But when they had rest, they did evil again before you: so you gave them into the
hands of their haters, who had rule over them: but when they came back and made
their prayer to you, you gave ear to them from heaven; again and again, in your
mercy, you gave them salvation;
9:28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before you: therefore left you them in the land of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and many times did you deliver them according to your mercies;
9:29 다시 주의 율법을 복종하게 하시려고 경계하셨으나 저희가 교만히 행하여
사람이 준행하면 그 가운데서 삶을 얻는 주의 계명을 듣지 아니하며 주의 규례를
범하여 고집하는 어깨를 내어밀며 목을 굳게 하여 듣지 아니하였나이다
9:29 And gave witness against them so that you might make them come back again to your
law: but their hearts were lifted up, and they gave no attention to your orders
and went against your decisions (which, if a man keeps them, will be life to him),
and turning their backs on you, made their necks stiff and did not give ear.
9:29 And testified against them, that you might bring them again unto your law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto your commandments, but sinned against your judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
9:30 그러나 주께서 여러 해 동안 용서하시고 또 선지자로 말미암아 주의 신으로
저희를 경계하시되 저희가 듣지 아니하므로 열방 사람의 손에 붙이시고도
9:30 Year after year you put up with them, and gave witness against them by your spirit
through your prophets: still they did not give ear: and so you gave them up into
the hands of the peoples of the lands.
9:30 Yet many years did you forbear them, and testified against them by your spirit in your prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gave you them into the hand of the people of the lands.
9:31 주의 긍휼이 크시므로 저희를 아주 멸하지 아니하시며 버리지도 아니하셨사오니
주는 은혜로우시고 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다
9:31 Even then, in your great mercy, you did not put an end to them completely, or give
them up; for you are a God of grace and mercy.
9:31 Nevertheless for your great mercies' sake you did not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
9:32 우리 하나님이여 광대하시고 능하시고 두려우시며 언약과 인자를 지키시는
하나님이여 우리와 우리 열왕과 방백들과 제사장들과 선지자들과 열조와 주의 모든
백성이 앗수르 열왕의 때로부터 오늘날까지 당한 바 환난을 이제 작게 여기시지 마옵소서
9:32 And now, our God, the great, the strong, the God who is to be feared, who keeps
faith and mercy, let not all this trouble seem small to you, which has come on us,
and on our kings and our rulers and on our priests and our prophets and our fathers
and on all your people from the time of the kings of Assyria till this day.
9:32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keep covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before you, that has come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
9:33 그러나 우리의 당한 모든 일에 주는 공의로우시니 우리는 악을 행하였사오나
주는 진실히 행하셨음이니이다
9:33 But still, you have been in the right in everything which has come on us; you have
been true to us, but we have done evil:
9:33 Nevertheless you are just in all that is brought upon us; for you have done right, but we have done wickedly:
9:34 우리 열왕과 방백들과 제사장들과 열조가 주의 율법을 지키지 아니하며 주의
명령과 주의 경계하신 말씀을 순종치 아니하고
9:34 And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law or
given attention to your orders and your witness, with which you gave witness against
them.
9:34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept your law, nor hearkened unto your commandments and your testimonies, wherewith you did testify against them.
9:35 저희가 그 나라와 주의 베푸신 큰 복과 자기 앞에 주신 넓고 기름진 땅을
누리면서도 주를 섬기지 아니하며 악행을 그치지 아니한 고로
9:35 For they have not been your servants in their kingdom, and in all the good things
you gave them, and in the great and fat land you gave them, and they have not been
turned away from their evil-doing.
9:35 For they have not served you in their kingdom, and in your great goodness that you gave them, and in the large and fat land which you gave before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
9:36 우리가 오늘날 종이 되었삽는데 곧 주께서 우리 열조에게 주사 그 실과를
먹고 그 아름다운 소산을 누리게 하신 땅에서 종이 되었나이다
9:36 Now, today, we are servants, and as for the land which you gave to our fathers,
so that the produce of it and the good might be theirs, see, we are servants in
it:
9:36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that you gave unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
9:37 우리의 죄로 인하여 주께서 우리 위에 세우신 이방 열왕이 이 땅의 많은
소산을 얻고 저희가 우리의 몸과 육축을 임의로 관할하오니 우리의 곤난이 심하오며
9:37 And it gives much increase to the kings whom you have put over us because of our
sins: and they have power over our bodies and over our cattle at their pleasure,
and we are in great trouble.
9:37 And it yields much increase unto the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
9:38 우리가 이 모든 일을 인하여 이제 견고한 언약을 세워 기록하고 우리의 방백들과
레위 사람들과 제사장들이 다 인을 치나이다 하였느니라
9:38 And because of all this we are making an agreement in good faith, and putting it
in writing; and our rulers, our Levites, and our priests are putting their names
to it.
9:38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.

10:28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the door-keepers, the music-makers,
the Nethinim, and all those who had made themselves separate from the peoples of
the lands, to keep the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters,
everyone who had knowledge and wisdom;
10:28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
10:29 다 그 형제 귀인들을 좇아 저주로 맹세하기를 우리가 하나님의 종 모세로
주신 하나님의 율법을 좇아 우리 주 여호와의 모든 계명과 규례와 율례를 지켜
10:29 They were united with their brothers, their rulers, and put themselves under a curse
and an oath, to keep their steps in the way of God's law, which was given by Moses,
the servant of God, and to keep and do all the orders of the Lord, our Lord, and
his decisions and his rules;
10:29 They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
10:30 우리 딸은 이 땅 백성에게 주지 아니하고 우리 아들을 위하여 저희 딸을
데려오지 아니하며
10:30 And that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the lands, or take their
daughters for our sons;
10:30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons:
10:31 혹시 이 땅 백성이 안식일에 물화나 식물을 가져다가 팔려 할지라도 우리가
안식일이나 성일에는 사지 않겠고 제 칠 년마다 땅을 쉬게 하고 모든 빚을 탕감하리라
하였고
10:31 And if the peoples of the lands come to do trade in goods or food on the Sabbath
day, that we would do no trade with them on the Sabbath or on a holy day: and that
in the seventh year we would take no payment from any debtor.
10:31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
10:32 우리가 또 스스로 규례를 정하기를 해마다 각기 세겔의 삼분 일을 수납하여
하나님의 전을 위하여 쓰게 하되
10:32 And we made rules for ourselves, taxing ourselves a third of a shekel every year
for the upkeep of the house of our God;
10:32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
10:33 곧 진설병과 항상 드리는 소제와 항상 드리는 번제와 안식일과 초하루와
정한 절기에 쓸 것과 성물과 이스라엘을 위하는 속죄제와 우리 하나님의 전의 모든
일을 위하여 쓰게 하였고
10:33 For the holy bread, and for the regular meal offering and the regular burned offering
on the Sabbaths and at the new moon and the fixed feasts, and for the sin-offerings
to take away the sin of Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
10:33 For the showbread, and for the continual food offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
10:34 또 우리 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 백성들이 제비 뽑아 각기 종족대로 해마다
정한 기한에 나무를 우리 하나님의 전에 드려서 율법에 기록한 대로 우리 하나님 여호와의
단에 사르게 하였고
10:34 And we, the priests and the Levites and the people, made selection, by the decision
of the Lord, of those who were to take the wood offering into the house of God,
by families at the regular times, year by year, to be burned on the altar of the
Lord our God, as it is recorded in the law;
10:34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
10:35 해마다 우리 토지 소산의 맏물과 각종 과목의 첫 열매를 여호와의 전에
드리기로 하였고
10:35 And to take the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of every sort of
tree, year by year, into the house of the Lord;
10:35 And to bring the first-fruits of our ground, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:
10:36 또 우리의 맏아들들과 생축의 처음 난 것과 우양의 처음 난 것을 율법에
기록된 대로 우리 하나님의 전으로 가져다가 우리 하나님의 전에서 섬기는 제사장들에게
주고
10:36 As well as the first of our sons and of our cattle, as it is recorded in the law,
and the first lambs of our herds and of our flocks, which are to be taken to the
house of our God, to the priests who are servants in the house of our God:
10:36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
10:37 또 처음 익은 밀의 가루와 거제물과 각종 과목의 열매와 새 포도주와 기름을
제사장들에게로 가져다가 우리 하나님의 전 골방에 두고 또 우리 물산의 십일조를
레위 사람들에게 주리라 하였나니 이 레위 사람들은 우리의 모든 성읍에서 물산의
십일조를 받는 자임이며
10:37 And that we would take the first of our rough meal, and our lifted offerings, and
the fruit of every sort of tree, and wine and oil, to the priests, to the rooms
of the house of our God; and the tenth of the produce of our land to the Levites;
for they, the Levites, take a tenth in all the towns of our ploughed land.
10:37 And that we should bring the first-fruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
10:38 레위 사람들이 십일조를 받을 때에는 아론의 자손 제사장 하나가 함께 있을
것이요 레위 사람들은 그 십일조의 십분 일을 가져다가 우리 하나님의 전 골방 곧
곳간에 두되
10:38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, is to be with the Levites, when the Levites take
the tenths: and the Levites are to take a tenth of the tenths into the house of
our God, to the rooms, into the store-house;
10:38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.
10:39 곧 이스라엘 자손과 레위 자손이 거제로 드린 바 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름을
가져다가 성소의 기명을 두는 골방 곧 섬기는 제사장들과 및 문지기들과 노래하는
자들이 있는 골방에 둘 것이라 그리하여 우리가 우리 하나님의 전을 버리지 아니하리라
10:39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi are to take the lifted offering
of the grain and wine and oil into the rooms where the vessels of the holy place
are, together with the priests and the door-keepers and the makers of music: and
we will not give up caring for the house of our God.
10:39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
11:1 백성의 두목들은 예루살렘에 머물렀고 그 남은 백성은 제비 뽑아 십분의
일은 거룩한 성 예루살렘에 와서 거하게 하고 그 구분은 다른 성읍에 거하게 하였으며
11:1 And the rulers of the people were living in Jerusalem: the rest of the people made
selection, by the decision of chance, of one out of every ten to be living in Jerusalem,
the holy town; the other nine to go to the other towns.
11:1 And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
11:2 무릇 예루살렘에 거하기를 자원하는 자는 백성들이 위하여 복을 빌었느니라
11:2 And the people gave a blessing to all the men who were freely offering to take up
their places in Jerusalem.
11:2 And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
11:3 ○ 이스라엘과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 느디님 사람들과 솔로몬의 신복의
자손은 유다 여러 성읍에서 각각 그 본성 본 기업에 거하였고 예루살렘에 거한 그
도의 두목들은 이러하니
11:3 Now these are the chiefs of the divisions of the country who were living in Jerusalem:
but in the towns of Judah everyone was living on his heritage in the towns, that
is, Israel, the priests, the Levites, the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon's
servants.
11:3 Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to know, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants.
11:4 예루살렘에 거한 자는 유다 자손과 베냐민 자손 몇 명이라 유다 자손 중에는
베레스 자손 아다야니 저는 웃시야의 아들이요 스가랴의 손자요 아마랴의 증손이요
스바댜의 현손이요 마할랄렐의 오 대 손이며
11:4 And in Jerusalem there were living certain of the children of Judah and of Benjamin.
Of the children of Judah: Athaiah, the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the
son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of
Perez;
11:4 And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
11:5 또 마아세야니 저는 바룩의 아들이요 골호세의 손자요 하사야의 증손이요
아다야의 현손이요 요야립의 오 대 손이요 스가랴의 육 대 손이요 실로 사람의 칠 대 손이라
11:5 And Maaseiah, the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son
of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.
11:5 And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
11:6 예루살렘에 거한 베레스 자손의 도합이 사백 육십 팔 명이니 다 용사이었느니라
11:6 All the sons of Perez living in Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty-eight men
of good position.
11:6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
11:7 ○ 베냐민 자손은 살루니 저는 므술람의 아들이요 요엣의 손자요 브다야의
증손이요 골라야의 현손이요 마아세야의 오 대 손이요 이디엘의 육 대 손이요 여사야의
칠 대 손이며
11:7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed,
the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel,
the son of Jeshaiah.
11:7 And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.
11:8 그 다음은 갑배와 살래 등이니 도합이 구백 이십 팔 명이라

11:10 ○ 제사장 중에는 요야립의 아들 여다야와 야긴이며

11:11 또 하나님의 전을 맡은 자 스라야니 저는 힐기야의 아들이요 므술람의 손자요

11:12 또 전에서 일하는 그 형제니 도합이 팔백 이십 이 명이요 또 아다야니 저는
여로함의 아들이요 블라야의 손자요 암시의 증손이요 스가랴의 현손이요 바스훌의
오 대 손이요 말기야의 육 대 손이며
11:12 And their brothers who did the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two;
and Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of
Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,
11:12 And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah.

11:14 And their brothers, men of war, a hundred and twenty-eight; and their overseer was
Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

11:15 ○ 레위 사람 중에는 스마야니 저는 핫숩의 아들이요 아스리감의 손자요

11:15 And of the Levites: Shemaiah, the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of
Hashabiah, the son of Bunni,

11:16 또 레위 사람의 족장 삽브대와 요사밧이니 저희는 하나님의 전 바깥 일을
맡았고
11:16 And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who were responsible for
the outside business of the house of God;
11:16 And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
11:17 또 아삽의 증손 삽디의 손자 미가의 아들 맛다냐니 저는 기도할 때에 감사하는
말씀을 인도하는 어른이 되었고 형제 중에 박부갸가 버금이 되었으며 또 여두둔의
증손 갈랄의 손자 삼무아의 아들 압다니
11:17 And Mattaniah, the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who had to give
the first note of the song of praise in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among
his brothers, and Abda, the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
11:17 And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
11:18 거룩한 성에 레위 사람의 도합이 이백 팔십 사 명이었느니라
11:18 All the Levites in the holy town were two hundred and eighty-four.

11:20 그 나머지 이스라엘 백성과 제사장과 레위 사람은 유다 모든 성읍에 흩어져
각각 자기 기업에 거하였고
11:20 And the rest of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the towns of Judah,
every one in his heritage.

11:21 느디님 사람은 오벨에 거하니 시하와 기스바가 그 두목이 되었느니라
11:21 But the Nethinim were living in the Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.

11:22 ○ 노래하는 자 아삽 자손 곧 미가의 현손 맛다냐의 증손 하사뱌의 손자
바니의 아들 웃시는 예루살렘에 거하는 레위 사람의 감독이 되어 하나님의 전 일을
맡아 다스렸으니
11:22 And the overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi, the son of Bani, the son
of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the music-makers,
who was over the business of the house of God.
11:22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
11:23 이는 왕의 명대로 노래하는 자에게 날마다 양식을 정하여 주는 것이 있음이며
11:23 For there was an order from the king about them and a regular amount for the music-makers,
for their needs day by day.
11:23 For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
11:24 유다의 아들 세라의 자손 곧 므세사벨의 아들 브다히야는 왕의 수하에서
백성의 일을 다스렸느니라
11:24 And Pethahiah, the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, the son of Judah, was
the king's servant in everything to do with the people.
11:24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
11:25 ○ 향리와 들로 말하면 유다 자손의 더러는 기럇 아바와 그 촌과 디본과
그 촌과 여갑스엘과 그 동네에 거하며
11:25 And for the daughter-towns with their fields, some of the men of Judah were living
in Kiriath-arba and its daughter-towns, and in Dibon and its daughter-towns, and
in Jekabzeel and its daughter-towns,
11:25 And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,

daughter-towns. So they were living from Beer-sheba to the valley of Hinnom.

12:9 또 그 형제 박부갸와 운노는 직무를 따라 저의 맞은편에 있으며

as heads of families; and the priests, when Darius the Persian was king.

12:23 레위 자손의 족장들은 엘리아십의 아들 요하난 때까지 역대 지략에 기록되었으며

even till the days of Johanan, the son of Eliashib.

12:24 레위 사람의 어른은 하사뱌와 세레뱌와 갓미엘의 아들 예수아라 저희가
그 형제의 맞은편에 있어 하나님의 사람 다윗의 명한 대로 반차를 따라 주를 찬양하며
감사하고
12:24 And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua, the son of Kadmiel,
with their brothers opposite them, to give blessing and praise as ordered by David,
the man of God, watch against watch.

문 안의 곳간을 파수하였나니
12:25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were door-keepers keeping
the watch at the store-houses of the doors.

12:26 이상 모든 사람은 요사닥의 손자 예수아의 아들 요야김과 방백 느헤미야와

12:26 These were in the days of Joiakim, the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in
the days of Nehemiah the ruler and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

12:27 ○ 예루살렘 성곽이 낙성되니 각처에서 레위 사람들을 찾아 예루살렘으로
데려다가 감사하며 노래하며 제금 치며 비파와 수금을 타며 즐거이 봉헌식을 행하려
하매
12:27 And when the time came for the wall of Jerusalem to be made holy, they sent for
the Levites out of all their places to come to Jerusalem, to keep the feast with
joy, and with praise and melody, with brass and corded instruments of music.
12:27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
12:28 이에 노래하는 자들이 예루살렘 사방 들과 느도바 사람의 동네에서 모여오고
12:28 And the sons of the music-makers came together from the lowland round about Jerusalem
and from the daughter-towns of the Netophathites,
12:28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
12:29 또 벧길갈과 게바와 아스마웻 들에서 모여 왔으니 이 노래하는 자들은 자기를
위하여 예루살렘 사방에 동네를 세웠음이라
12:29 And from Beth-gilgal and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the music-makers
had made daughter-towns for themselves round about Jerusalem.
12:29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had built them villages round about Jerusalem.
12:30 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 몸을 정결케 하고 또 백성과 성문과 성을 정결케
하니라
12:30 And the priests and the Levites made themselves clean; and they made the people
clean, and the doorways and the wall.
12:30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
12:31 ○ 이에 내가 유다의 방백들로 성 위에 오르게 하고 또 감사 찬송하는 자의
큰 무리를 두 떼로 나누어 성 위로 항렬을 지어 가게 하는데 한 떼는 우편으로 분문을
향하여 가게 하니
12:31 Then I made the rulers of Judah come up on the wall, and I put in position two great
bands of them who gave praise, walking in ordered lines; one went to the right on
the wall, in the direction of the doorway where the waste was put;
12:31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
12:32 따르는 자는 호세야와 유다 방백의 절반이요

12:35 And certain of the priests' sons with wind instruments; Zechariah, the son of Jonathan,
the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur,
the son of Asaph,
12:35 And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
12:36 그 형제 스마야와 아사렐과 밀랄래와 길랄래와 마애와 느다넬과 유다와
하나니라 다 하나님의 사람 다윗의 악기를 잡았고 학사 에스라가 앞서서
12:36 And his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel and Judah,
Hanani, with the music-instruments of David, the man of God; and Ezra the scribe
was at their head;
12:36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
12:37 샘문으로 말미암아 전진하여 성으로 올라가는 곳에 이르러 다윗 성의 층계로
올라가서 다윗의 궁 윗 길에서 동향하여 수문에 이르렀고
12:37 And by the doorway of the fountain and straight in front of them, they went up by
the steps of the town of David, at the slope up of the wall, over the house of David,
as far as the water-doorway to the east.
12:37 And at the fountain gate, which was opposite to them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
12:38 감사 찬송하는 다른 떼는 저희를 마주 진행하는데 내가 백성의 절반으로
더불어 그 뒤를 따라 성 위로 행하여 풀무 망대 윗 길로 성 넓은 곳에 이르고
12:38 And the other band of those who gave praise went to the left, and I went after them
with half the people, on the wall, over the tower of the ovens, as far as the wide
wall;
12:38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went opposite to them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
12:39 에브라임 문 위로 말미암아 옛문과 어문과 하나넬 망대와 함메아 망대를
지나 양문에 이르러 감옥 문에 그치매
12:39 And over the doorway of Ephraim and by the old door and the fish door and the tower
of Hananel and the tower of Hammeah, as far as the sheep door: and at the doorway
of the watchmen they came to a stop.
12:39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
12:40 이에 감사 찬송하는 두 떼와 나와 민장의 절반은 하나님의 전에 섰고
12:40 So the two bands of those who gave praise took up their positions in the house of
God, and I and half of the chiefs with me:
12:40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
12:41 제사장 엘리아김과 마아세야와 미냐민과 미가야와 엘료에내와 스가랴와
하나냐는 다 나팔을 잡았고
12:41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and
Hananiah, with wind instruments;
12:41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
12:42 또 마아세야와 스마야와 엘르아살과 웃시와 여호하난과 말기야와 엘람과
에셀이 함께 있으며 노래하는 자는 크게 찬송하였는데 그 감독은 예스라히야라
12:42 And Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam
and Ezer. And the makers of melody made their voices loud, with Jezrahiah their
overseer.
12:42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
12:43 이 날에 무리가 크게 제사를 드리고 심히 즐거워하였으니 이는 하나님이
크게 즐거워하게 하셨음이라 부녀와 어린 아이도 즐거워하였으므로 예루살렘의 즐거워하는
소리가 멀리 들렸느니라
12:43 And on that day they made great offerings and were glad; for God had made them glad
with great joy; and the women and the children were glad with them: so that the
joy of Jerusalem came to the ears of those who were far off.
12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even far off.
12:44 ○ 그 날에 사람을 세워 곳간을 맡기고 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 돌릴
것 곧 율법에 정한 대로 거제물과 처음 익은 것과 십일조를 모든 성읍 밭에서 거두어
이 곳간에 쌓게 하였노니 이는 유다 사람이 섬기는 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 인하여
즐거워함을 인함이라
12:44 And on that day certain men were put over the rooms where the things which had been
given were stored, for the lifted offerings and the first-fruits and the tenths,
and to take into them the amounts, from the fields of every town, fixed by the law
for the priests and the Levites: for Judah was glad on account of the priests and
the Levites who were in their places.
12:44 And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
12:45 저희는 하나님을 섬기는 일과 결례의 일을 힘썼으며 노래하는 자들과 문지기들도
그러하여 모두 다윗과 그 아들 솔로몬의 명을 좇아 행하였으니
12:45 And they kept the watch of their God, and were responsible for making things clean,
and so did the music-makers and the door-keepers, as it was ordered by David and
Solomon his son.
12:45 And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
12:46 옛적 다윗과 아삽의 때에는 노래하는 자의 두목이 있어서 하나님께 찬송하는
노래와 감사하는 노래를 하였음이며
12:46 For in the days of David and Asaph in the past, there was a master of the music,
and songs of blessing and praise to God.
12:46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
12:47 스룹바벨과 느헤미야 때에는 온 이스라엘이 노래하는 자들과 문지기들에게
날마다 쓸 것을 주되 그 구별한 것을 레위 사람들에게 주고 레위 사람들은 그것을
또 구별하여 아론 자손에게 주었느니라
12:47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave what was
needed by the music-makers and the door-keepers day by day: and they made the offerings
holy for the Levites; and the Levites did the same for the sons of Aaron.
12:47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
13:1 그 날에 모세의 책을 낭독하여 백성에게 들렸는데 그 책에 기록하기를 암몬
사람과 모압 사람은 영영히 하나님의 회에 들어오지 못하리니
13:1 On that day there was a reading from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people;
and they saw that it said in the book that no Ammonite or Moabite might ever come
into the meeting of God;
13:1 On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;
13:2 이는 저희가 양식과 물로 이스라엘 자손을 영접지 아니하고 도리어 발람에게
뇌물을 주어 저주하게 하였음이라 그러나 우리 하나님이 그 저주를 돌이켜 복이 되게
하셨다 하였는지라
13:2 Because they did not give the children of Israel bread and water when they came
to them, but got Balaam to put a curse on them: though the curse was turned into
a blessing by our God.
13:2 Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: nevertheless our God turned the curse into a blessing.
13:3 백성이 이 율법을 듣고 곧 섞인 무리를 이스라엘 가운데서 몰수히 분리케
하였느니라
13:3 So after hearing the law, they took out of Israel all the mixed people.
13:3 Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.
13:4 이전에 우리 하나님의 전 골방을 맡은 제사장 엘리아십이 도비야와 연락이
있었으므로
13:4 Now before this, Eliashib the priest, who had been placed over the rooms of the
house of our God, being a friend of Tobiah,
13:4 And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:
13:5 도비야를 위하여 한 큰 방을 갖추었으니 그 방은 원래 소제물과 유향과 기명과
또 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들과 문지기들에게 십일조로 주는 곡물과 새 포도주와
기름과 또 제사장들에게 주는 거제물을 두는 곳이라
13:5 Had made ready for him a great room, where at one time they kept the meal offerings,
the perfume, and the vessels and the tenths of the grain and wine and oil which
were given by order to the Levites and the music-makers and the door-keepers, and
the lifted offerings for the priests.
13:5 And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where in old times they laid the food offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.
13:6 그때에는 내가 예루살렘에 있지 아니하였었느니라 바벨론 왕 아닥사스다
삼십 이 년에 내가 왕에게 나아갔다가 며칠 후에 왕에게 말미를 청하고
13:6 But all this time I was not at Jerusalem: for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes,
king of Babylon, I went to the king; and after some days, I got the king to let
me go,
13:6 But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:
13:7 예루살렘에 이르러서야 엘리아십이 도비야를 위하여 하나님의 전 뜰에 방을
갖춘 악한 일을 안지라
13:7 And I came to Jerusalem; and it was clear to me what evil Eliashib had done for
Tobiah, in making ready for him a room in the buildings of the house of God.
13:7 And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.
13:8 내가 심히 근심하여 도비야의 세간을 그 방 밖으로 다 내어 던지고
13:8 And it was evil in my eyes: so I had all Tobiah's things put out of the room.
13:8 And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff to Tobiah out of the chamber.
13:9 명하여 그 방을 정결케 하고 하나님의 전의 기명과 소제물과 유향을 다시
그리로 들여놓았느니라
13:9 Then I gave orders, and they made the rooms clean: and I put back in them the vessels
of the house of God, with the meal offerings and the perfume.
13:9 Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the food offering and the frankincense.
13:10 ○ 내가 또 알아 본즉 레위 사람들의 받을 것을 주지 아니하였으므로 그
직무를 행하는 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들이 각각 그 전리로 도망하였기로
13:10 And I saw that the Levites had not been given what was needed for their support;
so that the Levites and the music-makers, who did the work, had gone away, everyone
to his field.
13:10 And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.
13:11 내가 모든 민장을 꾸짖어 이르기를 하나님의 전이 어찌하여 버린 바 되었느냐
하고 곧 레위 사람을 불러 모아 다시 그 처소에 세웠더니
13:11 Then I made protests to the chiefs, and said, Why has the house of God been given
up? And I got them together and put them in their places.
13:11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.
13:12 이에 온 유다가 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 십일조를 가져다가 곳간에 들이므로
13:12 Then all Judah came with the tenth part of the grain and wine and oil and put it
into the store-houses.
13:12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.
13:13 내가 제사장 셀레먀와 서기관 사독과 레위 사람 브다야로 고지기를 삼고
맛다냐의 손자 삭굴의 아들 하난으로 버금을 삼았나니 이는 저희가 충직한 자로 인정됨이라
그 직분은 형제들에게 분배하는 일이었느니라
13:13 And I made controllers over the store-houses, Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the
scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and with them was Hanan, the son of Zaccur
the son of Mattaniah: they were taken to be true men and their business was the
distribution of these things to their brothers.
13:13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.
13:14 ○ 내 하나님이여 이 일을 인하여 나를 기억하옵소서 내 하나님의 전과
그 모든 직무를 위하여 나의 행한 선한 일을 도말하지 마옵소서
13:14 Keep me in mind, O my God, in connection with this, and do not let the good which
I have done for the house of my God and its worship go from your memory completely.
13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.
13:15 ○ 그때에 내가 본즉 유다에게 어떤 사람이 안식일에 술틀을 밟고 곡식단을
나귀에 실어 운반하며 포도주와 포도와 무화과와 여러 가지 짐을 지고 안식일에 예루살렘에
들어와서 식물을 팔기로 그 날에 내가 경계하였고
13:15 In those days, I saw in Judah some who were crushing grapes on the Sabbath, and
getting in grain and putting it on asses; as well as wine and grapes and figs and
all sorts of goods which they took into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day: and I gave
witness against them on the day when they were marketing food.
13:15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.
13:16 또 두로 사람이 예루살렘에 거하며 물고기와 각양 물건을 가져다가 안식일에
유다 자손에게 예루살렘에서도 팔기로
13:16 And there were men of Tyre there, who came with fish and all sorts of goods, trading
with the children of Judah and in Jerusalem on the Sabbath.
13:16 There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
13:17 내가 유다 모든 귀인을 꾸짖어 이르기를 너희가 어찌 이 악을 행하여 안식일을
범하느냐
13:17 Then I made protests to the chiefs of Judah, and said to them, What is this evil
which you are doing, not keeping the Sabbath day holy?
13:17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that all of you do, and profane the sabbath day?
13:18 너희 열조가 이같이 행하지 아니하였느냐 그러므로 우리 하나님이 이 모든
재앙으로 우리와 이 성읍에 내리신 것이 아니냐 이제 너희가 오히려 안식일을 범하여
진노가 이스라엘에게 임함이 더욱 심하게 하는도다 하고
13:18 Did not your fathers do the same, and did not our God send all this evil on us and
on this town? but you are causing more wrath to come on Israel by not keeping the
Sabbath holy.
13:18 Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet all of you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.
13:19 안식일 전 예루살렘 성문이 어두워 갈 때에 내가 명하여 성문을 닫고 안식일이
지나기 전에는 열지 말라 하고 내 종자 두어 사람을 성문마다 세워서 안식일에 아무
짐도 들어오지 못하게 하매
13:19 And so, when the streets of Jerusalem were getting dark before the Sabbath, I gave
orders for the doors to be shut and not to be open again till after the Sabbath:
and I put some of my servants by the door so that nothing might be taken in on the
Sabbath day.
13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
13:20 장사들과 각양 물건 파는 자들이 한두 번 예루살렘 성 밖에서 자므로
13:20 So the traders in all sorts of goods took their night's rest outside Jerusalem once
or twice.
13:20 So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.
13:21 내가 경계하여 이르기를 너희가 어찌하여 성 밑에서 자느냐 다시 이같이
하면 내가 잡으리라 하였더니 그 후부터는 안식일에 저희가 다시 오지 아니하였느니라
13:21 Then I gave witness against them and said, Why are you waiting all night by the
wall? if you do so again I will have you taken prisoners. From that time they did
not come again on the Sabbath.
13:21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge all of you about the wall? if all of you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
13:22 내가 또 레위 사람들을 명하여 몸을 정결케 하고 와서 성문을 지켜서 안식일로
거룩하게 하라 하였느니라 나의 하나님이여 나를 위하여 이 일도 기억하옵시고 주의
큰 은혜대로 나를 아끼시옵소서
13:22 And I gave the Levites orders to make themselves clean and come and keep the doors
and make the Sabbath holy. Keep this in mind to my credit, O my God, and have mercy
on me, for great is your mercy.
13:22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy.
13:23 ○ 그때에 내가 또 본즉 유다 사람이 아스돗과 암몬과 모압 여인을 취하여
아내를 삼았는데
13:23 And in those days I saw the Jews who were married to women of Ashdod and Ammon and
Moab:
13:23 In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:
13:24 그 자녀가 아스돗 방언을 절반쯤은 하여도 유다 방언은 못하니 그 하는
말이 각 족속의 방언이므로
13:24 And their children were talking half in the language of Ashdod; they had no knowledge
of the Jews' language, but made use of the language of the two peoples.
13:24 And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.
13:25 내가 책망하고 저주하며 두어 사람을 때리고 그 머리털을 뽑고 이르되 너희는
너희 딸들로 저희 아들들에게 주지 말고 너희 아들들이나 너희를 위하여 저희 딸을
데려오지 않겠다고 하나님을 가리켜 맹세하라 하고
13:25 And I took up the cause against them, cursing them and giving blows to some of them
and pulling out their hair; and I made them take an oath by God, saying, You are
not to give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons or
for yourselves.
13:25 And I contended with them, and cursed them, and stroke certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, All of you shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
13:26 또 이르기를 옛적에 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 이 일로 범죄하지 아니하였느냐
저는 열국 중에 비길 왕이 없이 하나님의 사랑을 입은 자라 하나님이 저로 왕을 삼아
온 이스라엘을 다스리게 하셨으나 이방 여인이 저로 범죄케 하였나니
13:26 Was it not in these things that Solomon, king of Israel, did wrong? among a number
of nations there was no king like him, and he was dear to his God, and God made
him king over all Israel: but even he was made to do evil by strange women.
13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.
13:27 너희가 이방 여인을 취하여 크게 악을 행하여 우리 하나님께 범죄하는 것을
우리가 어찌 용납하겠느냐
13:27 Are we then without protest to let you do all this great evil, sinning against our
God by taking strange women for your wives?
13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
13:28 ○ 대제사장 엘리아십의 손자 요야다의 아들 하나가 호론 사람 산발랏의
사위가 되었으므로 내가 쫓아내어 나를 떠나게 하였느니라
13:28 And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib, the chief priest, was son-in-law
to Sanballat the Horonite: so I sent him away from me.
13:28 And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.
13:29 내 하나님이여 저희가 제사장의 직분을 더럽히고 제사장의 직분과 레위
사람에 대한 언약을 어기었사오니 저희를 기억하옵소서
13:29 Keep them in mind, O my God, because they have put shame on the priests' name and
on the agreement of the priests and the Levites.
13:29 Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.
13:30 내가 이와 같이 저희로 이방 사람을 떠나게 하여 깨끗하게 하고 또 제사장과
레위 사람의 반열을 세워 각각 그 일을 맡게 하고
13:30 So I made them clean from all strange people, and had regular watches fixed for
the priests and for the Levites, everyone in his work;
13:30 Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;
13:31 또 정한 기한에 나무와 처음 익은 것을 드리게 하였사오니 내 하나님이여
나를 기억하사 복을 주옵소서
13:31 And for the wood offering, at fixed times, and for the first fruits. Keep me in
mind, O my God, for good.
13:31 And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the first-fruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. #@#
