ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿¡°Ô´Â ȷδÙ
17:1 And he said to his disciples, It is necessary for causes of trouble to come about,
but unhappy is he by whom they come.
17:1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences
will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
17:2 Àú°¡ ÀÌ ÀÛÀº ÀÚ Áß¿¡ Çϳª¸¦ ½ÇÁ·ÄÉ ÇÒÁø´ë Â÷¶ó¸® ¿¬ÀÚ ¸Ëµ¹À» ±× ¸ñ¿¡

17:2 It would be well for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped
into the sea, before he made trouble for any of these little ones.
17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck,
and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

17:3 Give attention to yourselves: if your brother does wrong, say a sharp word to him;
and if he has sorrow for his sin, let him have forgiveness.
17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke
him; and if he repent, forgive him.

17:4 And if he does you wrong seven times in a day, and seven times comes to you and
says, I have regret for what I have done; let him have forgiveness.
17:4 And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times
in a day return to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.

17:5 And the twelve said to the Lord, Make our faith greater.
17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

17:6 And the Lord said, If your faith was only as great as a grain of mustard seed, you
might say to this tree, Be rooted up and planted in the sea; and it would be done.
17:6 And the Lord said, If all of you had faith as a grain of mustard seed,
all of you might say unto this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root,
and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

17:7 But which of you, having a servant who is ploughing or keeping sheep, will say to
him, when he comes in from the field, Come now and be seated and have a meal,
17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say
unto him by and by, when he has come from the field, Go and sit down to food?

17:8 Will he not say, Get a meal for me, and make yourself ready and see to my needs
till I have had my food and drink; and after that you may have yours?
17:8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and
gird yourself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward you
shall eat and drink?
17:9 ¸íÇÑ ´ë·Î ÇÏ¿´´Ù°í Á¾¿¡°Ô »ç·ÊÇÏ°Ú´À³Ä
17:9 Does he give praise to the servant because he did what was ordered?
17:9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded
him? I I think not not.
17:10 ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ³ÊÈñµµ ¸í·É ¹ÞÀº °ÍÀ» ´Ù ÇàÇÑ ÈÄ¿¡ À̸£±â¸¦ ¿ì¸®´Â ¹«ÀÍÇÑ

17:10 In the same way, when you have done all the things which are given you to do, say,
There is no profit in us, for we have only done what we were ordered to do.
17:10 So likewise all of you, when all of you shall have done all those things
which are commanded you, say, We are useless servants: we have done that which
was our duty to do.

17:11 And it came about that when they were on the way to Jerusalem he went through Samaria
and Galilee.
17:11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through
the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

17:12 And when he went into a certain small town he came across ten men who were lepers,
and they, keeping themselves at a distance,
17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that
were lepers, which stood far off:

17:13 Said, in loud voices, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy
on us.

17:14 And when he saw them he said, Go, and let the priests see you. And, while they were
going, they were made clean.
17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the
priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was clean, turning back, gave praise to God
in a loud voice;
17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with
a loud voice glorified God,
17:16 ¿¹¼öÀÇ ¹ß ¾Æ·¡ ¾þµå¸®¾î »ç·ÊÇÏ´Ï Àú´Â »ç¸¶¸®¾ÆÀÎÀ̶ó
17:16 And, falling down on his face at the feet of Jesus, he gave the credit to him; and
he was a man of Samaria.
17:16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was
a Samaritan.

17:17 And Jesus said, Were there not ten men who were made clean? where are the nine?
17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are
the nine?
17:18 ÀÌ À̹æÀÎ ¿Ü¿¡´Â Çϳª´Ô²² ¿µ±¤À» µ¹¸®·¯ µ¹¾Æ¿Â ÀÚ°¡ ¾ø´À³Ä ÇϽðí
17:18 Have not any of them come back to give glory to God, but only this one from a strange
land?
17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
17:19 ±×¿¡°Ô À̸£½ÃµÇ ÀϾ °¡¶ó ³× ¹ÏÀ½ÀÌ ³Ê¸¦ ±¸¿øÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó ÇϽôõ¶ó
17:19 And he said to him, Get up, and go on your way; your faith has made you well.
17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go your way: your faith has made you whole.
17:20 ¡Û ¹Ù¸®»õÀεéÀÌ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ³ª¶ó°¡ ¾î´À ¶§¿¡ ÀÓÇϳªÀÌ±î ¹¯°Å´Ã ¿¹¼ö²²¼

17:20 And when the Pharisees put questions to him about when the kingdom of God would
come, he gave them an answer and said, The kingdom of God will not come through
observation:
17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God
should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation:
17:21 ¶Ç ¿©±â ÀÖ´Ù Àú±â ÀÖ´Ù°íµµ ¸øÇϸ®´Ï Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ³ª¶ó´Â ³ÊÈñ ¾È¿¡ ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó
17:21 And men will not say, See, it is here! or, There! for the kingdom of God is among
you.
17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom
of God is within you.
17:22 ¡Û ¶Ç Á¦Àڵ鿡°Ô À̸£½ÃµÇ ¶§°¡ À̸£¸®´Ï ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÎÀÚÀÇ ³¯ ÇϷ縦 º¸°íÀÚ

17:22 And he said to his disciples, The time will come when you will have a great desire
to see one of the days of the Son of man, but you will not see it.
17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when all of you
shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and all of you shall
not see it.
17:23 »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ¸»Ç쵂 º¸¶ó Àú±â ÀÖ´Ù º¸¶ó ¿©±â ÀÖ´Ù Çϸ®¶ó ±×·¯³ª
³ÊÈñ´Â °¡Áöµµ ¸»°í ÁÀÁöµµ ¸»¶ó
17:23 And if they say to you, See, it is there! or, It is here! do not go away, or go
after them.
17:23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them,
nor follow them.
17:24 ¹ø°³°¡ ÇÏ´Ã ¾Æ·¡ ÀÌÆí¿¡¼ ¹ø¶æÇÏ¿© ÇÏ´Ã ¾Æ·¡ ÀúÆí±îÁö ºñÃî °°ÀÌ ÀÎÀÚµµ
Àڱ⠳¯¿¡ ±×·¯Çϸ®¶ó
17:24 For as in a thunderstorm the bright light is seen from one end of the sky to the
other, so will the Son of man be when his time comes.
17:24 For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven,
shines unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in
his day.
17:25 ±×·¯³ª ±×°¡ ¸ÕÀú ¸¹Àº °í³À» ¹ÞÀ¸¸ç ÀÌ ¼¼´ë¿¡°Ô ¹ö¸° ¹Ù µÇ¾î¾ß ÇÒÁö´Ï¶ó
17:25 But first, he will have to undergo much and be put on one side by this generation.
17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
17:26 ³ë¾ÆÀÇ ¶§¿¡ µÈ °Í°ú °°ÀÌ ÀÎÀÚÀÇ ¶§¿¡µµ ±×·¯Çϸ®¶ó
17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the day of the Son of man.
17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of
the Son of man.
17:27 ³ë¾Æ°¡ ¹æÁÖ¿¡ µé¾î°¡´ø ³¯±îÁö »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¸Ô°í ¸¶½Ã°í Àå°¡ µé°í ½ÃÁý °¡´õ´Ï

17:27 They were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day of the overflowing
of the waters, when Noah went into the ark, and they all came to destruction.
17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed
them all.
17:28 ¶Ç ·ÔÀÇ ¶§¿Í °°À¸¸®´Ï »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¸Ô°í ¸¶½Ã°í »ç°í ÆÈ°í ½É°í ÁýÀ» Áþ´õ´Ï
17:28 In the same way, in the days of Lot; they were feasting and trading, they were planting
and building;
17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank,
they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
17:29 ·ÔÀÌ ¼Òµ¼¿¡¼ ³ª°¡´ø ³¯¿¡ Çϴ÷μ ºÒ°ú À¯È²ÀÌ ºñ¿Àµí ÇÏ¿© ÀúÈñ¸¦ ¸êÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó
17:29 But on the day when Lot went out of Sodom, fire came down from heaven and destruction
came on them all.
17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone
from heaven, and destroyed them all.
17:30 ÀÎÀÚÀÇ ³ªÅ¸³ª´Â ³¯¿¡µµ ÀÌ·¯Çϸ®¶ó
17:30 So will it be in the day of the revelation of the Son of man.
17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

17:31 On that day, if anyone is on the roof of the house, and his goods are in the house,
let him not go down to take them away; and let him who is in the field not go back
to his house.
17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in
the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field,
let him likewise not return back.

17:33 If anyone makes an attempt to keep his life, it will be taken from him, but if anyone
gives up his life, he will keep it.
17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever
shall lose his life shall preserve it.

17:34 I say to you, In that night there will be two men sleeping in one bed, and one will
be taken away and the other let go.
17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one
shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

17:35 Two women will be crushing grain together; one will be taken away and the other
let go.

17:37 And they, answering him, said, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body
is, there will the eagles come together.
17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto
them, Where ever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

18:1 And he made a story for them, the point of which was that men were to go on making
prayer and not get tired;
18:1 And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always
to pray, and not to faint;

18:2 Saying, There was a judge in a certain town, who had no fear of God or respect for
man:
18:2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded
man:
18:3 ±× µµ½Ã¿¡ ÇÑ °úºÎ°¡ ÀÖ¾î ÀÚÁÖ ±×¿¡°Ô °¡¼ ³» ¿ø¼ö¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ³ªÀÇ ¿øÇÑÀ»

18:3 And there was a widow in that town, and she kept on coming to him and saying, Give
me my right against the man who has done me wrong.
18:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge
me of mine adversary.

18:4 And for a time he would not: but later, he said to himself, Though I have no fear
of God or respect for man,
18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself,
Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

18:5 Because this widow is a trouble to me, I will give her her right; for if not, I
will be completely tired out by her frequent coming.
18:5 Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual
coming she weary me.
18:6 ÁÖ²²¼ ¶Ç °¡¶ó»ç´ë ºÒÀÇÇÑ ÀçÆÇ°üÀÇ ¸»ÇÑ °ÍÀ» µéÀ¸¶ó
18:6 And the Lord said, Give ear to the words of the evil judge.
18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.
18:7 ÇϹ°¸ç Çϳª´Ô²²¼ ±× ¹ã³· ºÎ¸£Â¢´Â ÅÃÇϽŠÀÚµéÀÇ ¿øÇÑÀ» Ç®¾î ÁÖÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽðڴÀ³Ä

18:7 And will not God do right in the cause of his saints, whose cries come day and night
to his ears, though he is long in doing it?
18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto
him, though he bear long with them?
18:8 ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ¼ÓÈ÷ ±× ¿øÇÑÀ» Ç®¾î Áֽø®¶ó ±×·¯³ª ÀÎÀÚ°¡ ¿Ã

18:8 I say to you that he will quickly do right in their cause. But when the Son of man
comes, will there be any faith on earth?
18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the
Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?
18:9 ¡Û ¶Ç Àڱ⸦ ÀÇ·Ó´Ù°í ¹Ï°í ´Ù¸¥ »ç¶÷À» ¸ê½ÃÇÏ´Â Àڵ鿡°Ô ÀÌ ºñÀ¯·Î ¸»¾¸ÇϽõÇ
18:9 And he made this story for some people who were certain that they were good, and
had a low opinion of others:
18:9 And he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that
they were righteous, and despised others:

18:11 The Pharisee, taking up his position, said to himself these words: God, I give you
praise because I am not like other men, who take more than their right, who are
evil-doers, who are untrue to their wives, or even like this tax-farmer.
18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you,
that I am not as other men are, extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as
this publican.

18:12 Twice in the week I go without food; I give a tenth of all I have.
18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

18:13 The tax-farmer, on the other hand, keeping far away, and not lifting up even his
eyes to heaven, made signs of grief and said, God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
18:13 And the publican, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his
eyes unto heaven, but stroke upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me
a sinner.

18:14 I say to you, This man went back to his house with God's approval, and not the other:
for everyone who makes himself high will be made low and whoever makes himself low
will be made high.
18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalts himself shall be brought low; and he that humbles
himself shall be exalted.

18:15 And they took their children to him, so that he might put his hands on them: but
when the disciples saw it, they said sharp words to them

18:16 But Jesus sent for them, saying, Let the children come to me, and do not keep them
away, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to
come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

18:17 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not put himself under the kingdom of God like a
little child, will not come into it at all.
18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God
as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18:20 You have knowledge of what the law says: Do not be untrue to your wife, Do not put

honour to your father and mother.
18:20 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do
not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour your father and your mother.

18:21 And he said, All these things I have done from the time when I was a boy.

18:22 And Jesus, hearing it, said to him, One thing you still have need of; get money
for your goods, and give it away to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven;
and come after me.
18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lack you one
thing: sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have
treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

18:23 But at these words he became very sad, for he had great wealth.
18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

18:24 And Jesus, looking at him, said, How hard it is for those who have wealth to get
into the kingdom of God!
18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly
shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

18:25 It is simpler for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a man who
has much money to come into the kingdom of God.
18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for
a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

18:26 And those who were present said, Then who may have salvation?
18:26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

18:27 But he said, Things which are not possible with man are possible with God.
18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible
with God.

18:28 And Peter said, See, we have given up what is ours to come after you.
18:28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed you.

18:29 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, There is no man who has given up house
or wife or brothers or father or mother or children, because of the kingdom of God,
18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that
has left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom
of God's sake,

18:30 Who will not get much more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.
18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the
world to come life everlasting.

18:31 And he took with him the twelve and said to them, Now we are going up to Jerusalem,
and all the things which were said by the prophets will be done to the Son of man.
18:31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go
up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning
the Son of man shall be accomplished.

18:32 For he will be given up to the Gentiles, and will be made sport of and put to shame:
18:32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and
spitefully pleaded, and spitted on:

18:33 And he will be given cruel blows and put to death, and on the third day he will
come back to life.
18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day
he shall rise again.

18:34 But they did not take in the sense of any of these words, and what he said was not
clear to them, and their minds were not able to see it.
18:34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying (o. rhema)
was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

18:35 And it came about that when he got near Jericho, a certain blind man was seated
by the side of the road, making requests for money from those who went by.
18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain
blind man sat by the way side begging:

18:36 And hearing the sound of a great number of people going by, he said, What is this?
18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

18:37 And they said to him, Jesus of Nazareth is going by.

18:38 And he said in a loud voice, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.

18:39 And those who were in front made protests and said to him, Be quiet: but he said
all the more, O Son of David, have mercy on me.
18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace:
but he cried so much the more, You son of David, have mercy on me.

18:40 And Jesus, stopping, gave orders that he was to come to him, and when he came near,
he said to him,
18:40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when
he was come near, he asked him,

18:41 What would you have me do for you? And he said, Lord, that I may be able to see
again.
18:41 Saying, What will you that I shall do unto you? And he said, Lord,
that I may receive my sight.

18:42 And Jesus said, See again: your faith has made you well.
18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive your sight: your faith has saved you.

18:43 And straight away he was able to see, and he went after him, giving glory to God;
and all the people when they saw it gave praise to God.
18:43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying
God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

19:2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among
the publicans, and he was rich.

19:3 Made an attempt to get a view of Jesus, and was not able to do so, because of the
people, for he was a small man.
19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press,
because he was little of stature.

19:4 And he went quickly in front of them and got up into a tree to see him, for he was
going that way.
19:4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for
he was to pass that way.

19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, looking up, he said to him, Zacchaeus, be quick
and come down, for I am coming to your house today.
19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said
unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; in order to day I must abide
at your house.

19:6 And he came down quickly, and took him into his house with joy.

19:7 And when they saw it, they were all angry, saying, He has gone into the house of
a sinner.
19:7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to
be guest with a man that is a sinner.

19:8 And Zacchaeus, waiting before him, said to the Lord, See, Lord, half of my goods
I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from anyone wrongly, I give him
back four times as much.
19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half
of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by
false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

19:9 And Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house, for even he is a
son of Abraham.
19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch
as he also is a son of Abraham.

19:10 For the Son of man came to make search for those who are wandering from the way,
and to be their Saviour.
19:10 For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

19:11 And while they were giving ear to these words, he made another story for them, because
he was near Jerusalem, and because they were of the opinion that the kingdom of
God was coming straight away.
19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because
he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should
immediately appear.

19:12 So he said, A certain man of high birth went into a far-away country to get a kingdom
for himself, and to come back.

19:14 But his people had no love for him, and sent representatives after him, saying,
We will not have this man for our ruler.
19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We
will not have this man to reign over us.

19:15 And when he came back again, having got his kingdom, he gave orders for those servants
to whom he had given the money to come to him, so that he might have an account
of what business they had done.
19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the
kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he
had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

19:17 And he said to him, You have done well, O good servant: because you have done well
in a small thing you will have authority over ten towns.
19:17 And he said unto him, Well, you good servant: because you have been
faithful in a very little, have you authority over ten cities.

19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, here is your pound, which I put away in a cloth;

19:21 Because I was in fear of you, for you are a hard man: you take up what you have
not put down, and get in grain where you have not put seed.

19:22 He said to him, By the words of your mouth you will be judged, you bad servant.
You had knowledge that I am a hard man, taking up what I have not put down and getting
in grain where I have not put seed;
19:22 And he says unto him, Out of yours own mouth will I judge you, you
wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not
down, and reaping that I did not sow:

young ass fixed with a cord, on which no man has ever been seated; let him loose
and take him.

19:33 And when they were getting the young ass, the owners of it said to them, Why are
you taking the young ass?

19:37 And when he came near the foot of the Mountain of Olives, all the disciples with
loud voices gave praise to God with joy, because of all the great works which they
had seen;
19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of
Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God
with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

19:40 And he said in answer, I say to you, if these men keep quiet, the very stones will
be crying out.

you are not able to see them.

19:44 And will make you level with the earth, and your children with you; and there will
not be one stone resting on another in you, because you did not see that it was
your day of mercy.
19:44 And shall lay you even with the ground, and your children within you;
and they shall not leave in you one stone upon another; because you knew not
the time of your visitation.

19:46 Saying to them, It has been said, My house is to be a house of prayer, but you have
made it a hole of thieves.

and the rulers of the people were attempting to put him to death;

19:48 But they were not able to do anything, because the people all kept near him, being
greatly interested in his words.

attentive to hear him.

20:1 And it came about on one of those days, when he was teaching the people in the Temple
and preaching the good news,

in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came
upon him with the elders,

20:2 That the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people came to him
and said, Make clear to us by what authority you do these things and who gave you
this authority.
20:2 And spoke unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority do you these
things? or who is he that gave you this authority?

20:3 And in answer he said to them, I will put a question to you, and do you give me
an answer:
20:3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; (o.
logos) and answer me:

20:6 But if we say, Of men; we will be stoned by the people, for they are certain that
John was a prophet.
20:6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be
persuaded that John was a prophet.

20:7 And they made answer that they had no idea where it came from.

20:9 And he gave the people this story: A man made a vine-garden and gave the use of
it to some field-workers and went into another country for a long time.

a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for
a long time.

20:10 And at the right time he sent a servant to the workers to get part of the fruit
from the vines; but the workmen gave him blows and sent him away with nothing.

give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent
him away empty.

shame on him, and sent him away with nothing.

20:13 And the lord of the garden said, What am I to do? I will send my dearly loved son;
they may give respect to him.
20:13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my
beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

20:14 But when the workmen saw him, they said to one another, This is he who will one
day be the owner of the property: let us put him to death and the heritage will
be ours.
20:14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying,
This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

20:15 And driving him out of the garden they put him to death. Now what will the lord
do to these workmen?
20:15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore
shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

20:16 He will come and put them to destruction and give the garden to others. And when
he said this, they said, May it not be so.
20:16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard
to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

20:17 But he, looking on them, said, Is it not in the Writings, The stone which the builders
put on one side, the same has become the chief stone of the building?
20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The
stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

20:18 Everyone falling on that stone will be broken, but the man on whom the stone comes
down will be crushed to dust.

it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes made attempts to get their hands on him in
that very hour; and they were in fear of the people, for they saw that he had made
up this story against them.
20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands
on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this
parable against them.

20:20 And they kept watch on him, and sent out secret representatives, who were acting
the part of good men, in order that they might get something from his words, on
account of which they might give him up to the government and into the power of
the ruler.
20:20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves
just men, that they might take hold of his words, (o. logos) that so they might
deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

20:21 And they put a question to him, saying, Master, we are certain that your teaching
and your words are right, and that you have no respect for a man's position, but
you are teaching the true way of God:
20:21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that you says and teach
rightly, neither accept you the person of any, but teach the way of God truly:

20:23 But he saw through their trick and said to them,

20:28 Master, Moses said that if a man's brother comes to his end, having a wife, but
no children, his brother is to take the wife, and get a family for his brother.
20:28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having

and raise up seed unto his brother.

20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he
calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief
rooms at feasts;

will get a greater punishment.

21:1 And looking up, he saw the men of wealth putting their offerings in the money-box.
21:1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the
treasury.

21:2 And he saw a certain poor widow putting in a farthing.

21:3 And he said, Truly I say to you, This poor widow has given more than all of them:

resting on another, but all will be broken down.

be when these events are to take place?
21:7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be?
and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

21:8 And he said, Take care that you are not tricked: for a number of people will come
in my name, saying, I am he; and, The time is near: do not go after them.
21:8 And he said, Take heed that all of you be not deceived: for many shall
come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go all of you
not therefore after them.

21:9 And when news of wars and troubled times comes to your ears, have no fear; for these
things have to be, but the end will not be now.
21:9 But when all of you shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified:
for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

21:11 There will be great earth-shocks and outbursts of disease in a number of places,
and men will be without food; and there will be wonders and great signs from heaven.
21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences;
and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

21:12 But before all this, they will take you and be very cruel to you, giving you up
to the Synagogues and to prisons, taking you before kings and rulers, because of
my name.
21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute
you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before
kings and rulers for my name's sake.

21:13 And it will be turned to a witness for you.

21:14 So take care not to be troubled before the time comes, about what answers you will

21:15 For I will give you words and wisdom, so that not one of those who are against you
will be able to get the better of you, or to put you in the wrong.
21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries
shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

and friends; and some of you will be put to death.

21:18 But not a hair of your head will come to destruction.

21:19 By going through all these things, you will keep your lives.

the pleasures of food and wine, and the cares of this life, and that day may come

with worldly excess, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day
come upon you unexpectedly.

false to me three times.
22:61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the
word (o. logos) of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow,
you shall deny me three times.

22:62 And he went out, weeping bitterly.

23:1 And they all went and took him before Pilate.
23:1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.
23:2 °í¼ÒÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ¿ì¸®°¡ ÀÌ »ç¶÷À» º¸¸Å ¿ì¸® ¹é¼ºÀ» ¹ÌȤÇÏ°í °¡À̻翡°Ô
¼¼ ¹ÙÄ¡´Â °ÍÀ» ±ÝÇϸç ÀÚĪ ¿Õ ±×¸®½ºµµ¶ó ÇÏ´õÀÌ´Ù ÇÏ´Ï
23:2 And they made statements against him, saying, This man has to our knowledge been
teaching our nation to do wrong, and not to make payment of taxes to Caesar, even
saying that he himself is Christ, a king.
23:2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting
the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself
is Christ a King.
23:3 ºô¶óµµ°¡ ¿¹¼ö²² ¹°¾î °¡·ÎµÇ ³×°¡ À¯´ëÀÎÀÇ ¿ÕÀÌ³Ä ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡¶ó»ç´ë ³×

23:3 And Pilate said to him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he said in answer, You
say so.
23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answered
him and said, You says it.
23:4 ºô¶óµµ°¡ ´ëÁ¦»çÀåµé°ú ¹«¸®¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ³»°¡ º¸´Ï ÀÌ »ç¶÷¿¡°Ô ÁË°¡ ¾øµµ´Ù

23:4 And Pilate said to the chief priests and the people, In my opinion this man has
done no wrong.
23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault
in this man.
23:5 ¹«¸®°¡ ´õ¿í ±»¼¼°Ô ¸»Ç쵂 Àú°¡ ¿Â À¯´ë¿¡¼ °¡¸£Ä¡°í °¥¸±¸®¿¡¼ºÎÅÍ ½ÃÀÛÇÏ¿©

23:5 But they became more violent than before, saying, He has made trouble among the
people, teaching through all Judaea from Galilee to this place.
23:5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching
throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
23:6 ºô¶óµµ°¡ µè°í ¹¯µÇ Àú°¡ °¥¸±¸® »ç¶÷ÀÌ³Ä ÇÏ¿©
23:6 But at these words Pilate said, Is the man a Galilaean?
23:6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
23:7 Çì·ÔÀÇ °üÇÒ¿¡ ¼ÓÇÑ ÁÙÀ» ¾Ë°í Çì·Ô¿¡°Ô º¸³»´Ï ¶§¿¡ Çì·ÔÀÌ ¿¹·ç»ì·½¿¡

23:7 And when he saw that he was under the authority of Herod, he sent him to Herod,
who was in Jerusalem himself at that time.
23:7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he
sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.
23:8 ¡Û Çì·ÔÀÌ ¿¹¼ö¸¦ º¸°í ½ÉÈ÷ ±â»µÇÏ´Ï ÀÌ´Â ±×ÀÇ ¼Ò¹®À» µé¾úÀ¸¹Ç·Î º¸°íÀÚ
ÇÑ Áö ¿À·¡¿´°í ¶ÇÇÑ ¹«¾ùÀ̳ª ÀÌÀû ÇàÇϽÉÀ» º¼±î ¹Ù¶ú´ø ¿¬°í·¯¶ó
23:8 Now when Herod saw Jesus he was very glad, having for a long time had a desire to
see him, for he had had accounts of him, and was hoping to see some wonders done
by him.
23:8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous
to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he
hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
23:9 ¿©·¯ ¸»·Î ¹°À¸³ª ¾Æ¹« ¸»µµ ´ë´äÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽôÏ
23:9 And he put a great number of questions to him, but he said nothing.
23:9 Then he questioned with him in many words; (o. logos) but he answered
him nothing.
23:10 ´ëÁ¦»çÀåµé°ú ¼±â°üµéÀÌ ¼¼ Èû½á °í¼ÒÇÏ´õ¶ó
23:10 And the chief priests and the scribes were there, making statements against him
violently.
23:10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

23:11 And Herod, with the men of his army, put shame on him and made sport of him, and
dressing him in shining robes, he sent him back to Pilate.
23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nothing, and mocked him, and
arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

23:12 And that day Herod and Pilate became friends with one another, for before they had
been against one another.
23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before
they were at enmity between themselves.

23:13 And Pilate sent for the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to
them,
23:13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers

23:14 You say that this man has been teaching the people evil things: now I, after going
into the question before you, see nothing wrong in this man in connection with the
things which you have said against him:
23:14 Said unto them, All of you have brought this man unto me, as one that
perverts the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found
no fault in this man concerning those things whereof all of you accuse him:
23:15 Çì·ÔÀÌ ¶ÇÇÑ ±×·¸°Ô ÇÏ¿© Àú¸¦ ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô µµ·Î º¸³»¾úµµ´Ù º¸¶ó ÀúÀÇ ÇàÇÑ

23:15 And Herod is of the same opinion, for he has sent him back to us; for, you see,
he has done nothing for which I might put him to death.
23:15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of
death is done unto him.

23:16 And so I will give him punishment and let him go.
23:16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

23:18 But with loud voices they said all together, Put this man to death, and make Barabbas
free.
23:18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release
unto us Barabbas:
23:19 ÀÌ ¹Ù¶ó¹Ù´Â ¼ºÁß¿¡¼ ÀÏ¾î³ ¹Î¶õ°ú »ìÀÎÀ» ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¿Á¿¡ °¤Èù ÀÚ·¯¶ó
23:19 Now this man was in prison because of an attack against the government in the town,
in which there had been loss of life.
23:19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast
into prison.)
23:20 ºô¶óµµ´Â ¿¹¼ö¸¦ ³õ°íÀÚ ÇÏ¿© ´Ù½Ã ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô ¸»ÇϵÇ
23:20 And Pilate again said to them that it was his desire to let Jesus go free.
23:20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke again to them.
23:21 ÀúÈñ´Â ¼Ò¸® Áú·¯ °¡·ÎµÇ Àú¸¦ ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹Ú°Ô ÇϼҼ ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹Ú°Ô

23:21 But crying out they said, To the cross with him!
23:21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
23:22 ºô¶óµµ°¡ ¼¼ ¹ø° ¸»Ç쵂 ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¹«½¼ ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ¿´´À³Ä ³ª´Â ±× Á×ÀÏ

23:22 And he said to them a third time, Why, what evil has he done? I see no reason for
putting him to death: I will give him punishment and let him go.
23:22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I
have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let
him go.

23:23 But they went on crying out loudly, Let him be put to death on the cross. And they
had their way.
23:23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be
crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
23:24 ÀÌ¿¡ ºô¶óµµ°¡ ÀúÈñÀÇ ±¸ÇÏ´Â ´ë·Î Çϱ⸦ ¾ðµµÇÏ°í
23:24 And Pilate gave his decision for their desire to be put into effect.
23:24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
23:25 ÀúÈñÀÇ ±¸ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ °ð ¹Î¶õ°ú »ìÀÎÀ» ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¿Á¿¡ °¤Èù ÀÚ¸¦ ³õ°í ¿¹¼ö¸¦
³Ñ°Ü ÁÖ¾î ÀúÈñ ¶æ´ë·Î ÇÏ°Ô Çϴ϶ó
23:25 And in answer to their request, he let that man go free who had been in prison for
acting against the government and causing death, and Jesus he gave up to their pleasure.
23:25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast
into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
23:26 ¡Û ÀúÈñ°¡ ¿¹¼ö¸¦ ²ø°í °¥ ¶§¿¡ ½Ã¸óÀ̶ó´Â ±¸·¹³× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ½Ã°ñ·Î¼ ¿À´Â

23:26 And while they were taking him away, they put their hands on Simon of Cyrene, who
was coming from the country, and made him take the cross after Jesus.
23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian,
coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear
it after Jesus.
23:27 ¶Ç ¹é¼º°ú ¹× ±×¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© °¡½¿À» Ä¡¸ç ½½ÇÇ ¿ì´Â ¿©ÀÚÀÇ Å« ¹«¸®°¡ µû¶ó¿À´ÂÁö¶ó
23:27 And a great band of people went after him, and of women making signs of grief and
weeping for him.
23:27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which
also bewailed and lamented him.
23:28 ¿¹¼ö²²¼ µ¹ÀÌÄÑ ±×µéÀ» ÇâÇÏ¿© °¡¶ó»ç´ë ¿¹·ç»ì·½ÀÇ µþµé¾Æ ³ª¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿©

23:28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, let not your weeping be
for me, but for yourselves and for your children.
23:28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not
for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

23:29 For the days are coming in which they will say, Happy are those who have had no
children, whose bodies have never given birth, whose breasts have never given milk.
23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed
are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the breast which never gave
suck.

23:30 And they will say to the mountains, Come down on us, and to the hills, Be a cover
over us.
23:30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the
hills, Cover us.
23:31 Ǫ¸¥ ³ª¹«¿¡µµ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ÇÏ°Åµç ¸¶¸¥ ³ª¹«¿¡´Â ¾î¶»°Ô µÇ¸®¿ä ÇϽô϶ó
23:31 For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will they do when it is
dry?
23:31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in
the dry?
23:32 ¶Ç ´Ù¸¥ µÎ Çà¾ÇÀÚµµ »çÇüÀ» ¹Þ°Ô µÇ¾î ¿¹¼ö¿Í ÇÔ²² ²ø·Á °¡´Ï¶ó
23:32 And two others, evil-doers, were taken with him to be put to death.
23:32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put
to death.
23:33 ÇØ°ñÀ̶ó ÇÏ´Â °÷¿¡ À̸£·¯ °Å±â¼ ¿¹¼ö¸¦ ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹Ú°í µÎ Çà¾ÇÀÚµµ

23:33 And when they came to the place which is named Golgotha, they put him on the cross,
and the evil-doers, one on the right side, and the other on the left.
23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there
they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other
on the left.

23:34 And Jesus said, Father, let them have forgiveness, for they have no knowledge of
what they are doing. And they made division of his clothing among them by the decision
of chance.
23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they
do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
23:35 ¹é¼ºÀº ¼¼ ±¸°æÇÏ¸ç °ü¿øµéµµ ºñ¿ô¾î °¡·ÎµÇ Àú°¡ ³²À» ±¸¿øÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï

23:35 And the people were looking on. And the rulers made sport of him, saying, He was
a saviour of others; let him do something for himself, if he is the Christ, the
man of God's selection.
23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided
him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen
of God.
23:36 ±ºº´µéµµ Èñ·ÕÇÏ¸é¼ ³ª¾Æ¿Í ½Å Æ÷µµÁÖ¸¦ ÁÖ¸ç
23:36 And the men of the army made sport of him, coming to him and giving him bitter wine,
23:36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
23:37 °¡·ÎµÇ ³×°¡ ¸¸ÀÏ À¯´ëÀÎÀÇ ¿ÕÀ̾îµç ³×°¡ ³Ê¸¦ ±¸¿øÇ϶ó ÇÏ´õ¶ó
23:37 And saying, If you are the King of the Jews, get yourself free.
23:37 And saying, If you be the king of the Jews, save yourself.
23:38 ±×ÀÇ À§¿¡ ÀÌ´Â À¯´ëÀÎÀÇ ¿ÕÀÌ¶ó ¾´ Æа¡ ÀÖ´õ¶ó
23:38 And these words were put in writing over him, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
23:38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek,
and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
23:39 ¡Û ´Þ¸° Çà¾ÇÀÚ Áß Çϳª´Â ºñ¹æÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ³×°¡ ±×¸®½ºµµ°¡ ¾Æ´Ï³Ä ³Ê¿Í

23:39 And one of the evil-doers on the cross, with bitter feeling, said to him, Are you
not the Christ? Get yourself and us out of this.
23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying,
If you be Christ, save yourself and us.
23:40 Çϳª´Â ±× »ç¶÷À» ²Ù¢¾î °¡·ÎµÇ ³×°¡ µ¿ÀÏÇÑ Á¤Á˸¦ ¹Þ°í¼µµ Çϳª´ÔÀ»

23:40 But the other, protesting, said, Have you no fear of God? for you have a part in
the same punishment,
23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Do not you fear God, seeing
you are in the same condemnation?
23:41 ¿ì¸®´Â ¿ì¸®ÀÇ ÇàÇÑ ÀÏ¿¡ »ó´çÇÑ º¸ÀÀÀ» ¹Þ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ï ÀÌ¿¡ ´ç¿¬ÇÏ°Å´Ï¿Í
ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÇ ÇàÇÑ °ÍÀº ¿ÇÁö ¾ÊÀº °ÍÀÌ ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó ÇÏ°í
23:41 And with reason; for we have the right reward of our acts, but this man has done
nothing wrong.
23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but
this man has done nothing amiss.
23:42 °¡·ÎµÇ ¿¹¼ö¿© ´ç½ÅÀÇ ³ª¶ó¿¡ ÀÓÇÏ½Ç ¶§¿¡ ³ª¸¦ »ý°¢ÇϼҼ ÇÏ´Ï
23:42 And he said, Jesus, keep me in mind when you come in your kingdom.
23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
23:43 ¿¹¼ö²²¼ À̸£½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ Áø½Ç·Î ³×°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ¿À´Ã ³×°¡ ³ª¿Í ÇÔ²² ³«¿ø¿¡

23:43 And he said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you will be with me in Paradise.
23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, To day shall you be
with me in paradise.

23:44 And it was now about the sixth hour; and all the land was dark till the ninth hour;
23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all
the earth until the ninth hour.
23:45 ¼º¼ÒÀÇ ÈÖÀåÀÌ ÇÑ°¡¿îµ¥°¡ Âõ¾îÁö´õ¶ó
23:45 The light of the sun went out, and the curtain in the Temple was parted in two.
23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the
midst.
23:46 ¿¹¼ö²²¼ Å« ¼Ò¸®·Î ºÒ·¯ °¡¶ó»ç´ë ¾Æ¹öÁö¿© ³» ¿µÈ¥À» ¾Æ¹öÁö ¼Õ¿¡ ºÎŹÇϳªÀÌ´Ù

23:46 And Jesus gave a loud cry and said, Father, into your hands I give my spirit: and
when he had said this, he gave up his spirit.
23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your
hands I commend my spirit: (o. pneuma) and having said thus, he gave up the spirit.

23:47 And when the captain saw what was done, he gave praise to God, saying, Without doubt
this was an upright man.
23:47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying,
Certainly this was a righteous man.

were done, went back again making signs of grief.

24:1 But on the first day of the week, at dawn, they came to the place where his body
had been put, taking the spices which they had got ready.
24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they
came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain
others with them.

24:7 The Son of man will be given up into the hands of evil-doers, and be put to death
on the cross, and on the third day he will come back to life.
24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

24:10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James: and the
other women with them said these things to the Apostles.

other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

24:11 But these words seemed foolish to them, and they had no belief in them.

24:12 But Peter got up and went to the place where the body had been put, and looking
in he saw nothing but the linen cloths, and he went to his house full of wonder
at what had taken place.
24:12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping down, he beheld
the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at
that which was come to pass.

Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

24:16 But their eyes were not open that they might have knowledge of him.

24:17 And he said to them, What are you talking about together while you go?
24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications (o. logos) are
these that all of you have one to another, as all of you walk, and are sad?

24:18 Then stopping, and looking sadly at him, one of them, named Cleopas, said to him,
Are you the only man living in Jerusalem who has not had news of the things which
have taken place there at this time?
24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him,
Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem, and have not known the things which are
come to pass there in these days?

Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word (o. logos) before
God and all the people:

24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers gave him up to be put to death on the cross.
24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned
to death, and have crucified him.

24:21 But we were hoping that he would be the Saviour of Israel. In addition to all this
he has now let three days go by from the time when these things took place;
24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel:
and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

who said that he was living.

24:24 And some of those who were with us went to the place, and saw that it was as the
women had said, but him they did not see.
24:24 And certain of them which were with us went to the tomb, and found
it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

24:25 And he said, O foolish men! how slow you are to give belief to what the prophets
have said.
24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that
the prophets have spoken:

24:26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to go through these things, and to come into
his glory?
24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his
glory?

24:27 And he made clear to them all the things in the Writings, from Moses and from all
the prophets, which had to do with himself.
24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them
in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

24:28 And they came near the town to which they were going, and he seemed as if he was
going on;
24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, where they went: and he made as
though he would have gone further.

24:29 But they kept him back, saying, Do not go, for evening is near, the day is almost
gone. And he went in with them.
24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening,
and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

24:31 And then their eyes were open, and they had knowledge of him, but he went from their

24:32 And they said to one another, Were not our hearts burning in us while he was talking
to us on the way, making clear to us the holy Writings?
24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while
he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

24:33 And that very hour they got up and went back to Jerusalem, where the eleven and
the others had come together.
24:33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found
the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

24:34 And they said to them, The Lord has truly come back to life again, and Simon has
seen him.

24:35 And they gave an account of the things which had taken place on the way, and how,
when he gave them bread, they had knowledge of him.
24:35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known
of them in breaking of bread.

24:36 And while they were saying these things, he himself was among them, and said to
them, Peace be with you!
24:36 And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and
says unto them, Peace be unto you.

24:37 But they were full of fear, being of the opinion that they were seeing a spirit.
24:37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had

24:38 And he said unto them, Why are all of you troubled? and why do thoughts
arise in your hearts?

for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have.
24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;
for a spirit (o. pneuma) has not flesh and bones, as all of you see me have.

24:40 And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.
24:41 ÀúÈñ°¡ ³Ê¹« ±â»Ú¹Ç·Î ¿ÀÈ÷·Á ¹ÏÁö ¸øÇÏ°í ±âÀÌÈ÷ ¿©±æ ¶§¿¡ À̸£½ÃµÇ ¿©±â
¹«½¼ ¸ÔÀ» °ÍÀÌ ÀÖ´À³Ä ÇϽôÏ
24:41 And because, for joy and wonder, they were still in doubt, he said to them, Have
you any food here?
24:41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto
them, Have all of you here any food?
24:42 ÀÌ¿¡ ±¸¿î »ý¼± ÇÑ Å丷À» µå¸®¸Å
24:42 And they gave him a bit of cooked fish.
24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

24:43 And before their eyes he took a meal.
24:43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
24:44 ¡Û ¶Ç À̸£½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿Í ÇÔ²² ÀÖÀ» ¶§¿¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ¸»ÇÑ ¹Ù °ð ¸ð¼¼ÀÇ
À²¹ý°ú ¼±ÁöÀÚÀÇ ±Û°ú ½ÃÆí¿¡ ³ª¸¦ °¡¸®ÄÑ ±â·ÏµÈ ¸ðµç °ÍÀÌ ÀÌ·ç¾îÁ®¾ß Çϸ®¶ó ÇÑ
¸»ÀÌ ÀÌ°ÍÀ̶ó ÇϽðí
24:44 And he said to them, These are the words which I said to you when I was still with
you, how it was necessary for all the things which are in the writings of Moses
and the prophets and in the Psalms about me, to be put into effect.
24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words (o. logos) which I spoke
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which
were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning
me.
24:45 ÀÌ¿¡ ÀúÈñ ¸¶À½À» ¿¾î ¼º°æÀ» ±ú´Ý°Ô ÇϽðí
24:45 Then he made the holy Writings clear to their minds.
24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures,
24:46 ¶Ç À̸£½ÃµÇ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ±×¸®½ºµµ°¡ °í³À» ¹Þ°í Á¦ »ï ÀÏ¿¡ Á×Àº ÀÚ °¡¿îµ¥¼

24:46 And he said to them, So it is in the Writings that the Christ would undergo death,
and come back to life again on the third day;
24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it was essential for
Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
24:47 ¶Ç ±×ÀÇ À̸§À¸·Î ÁË »çÇÔÀ» ¾ò°Ô Çϴ ȸ°³°¡ ¿¹·ç»ì·½À¸·ÎºÎÅÍ ½ÃÀÛÇÏ¿©

24:47 And that teaching about a change of heart and forgiveness of sins is to be given
to Jerusalem first and to all nations in his name.
24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his
name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

24:48 You are witnesses of these things.
24:48 And all of you are witnesses of these things.
24:49 º¼Áö¾î´Ù ³»°¡ ³» ¾Æ¹öÁöÀÇ ¾à¼ÓÇϽŠ°ÍÀ» ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô º¸³»¸®´Ï ³ÊÈñ´Â À§·ÎºÎÅÍ
´É·ÂÀ» ÀÔÈ÷¿ï ¶§±îÁö ÀÌ ¼º¿¡ À¯Ç϶ó ÇϽô϶ó
24:49 And now I will send to you what my father has undertaken to give you, but do not
go from the town, till the power from heaven comes to you.
24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry all
of you in the city of Jerusalem, until all of you be imbued with power from on high.
24:50 ¡Û ¿¹¼ö²²¼ ÀúÈñ¸¦ µ¥¸®°í º£´Ù´Ï ¾Õ±îÁö ³ª°¡»ç ¼ÕÀ» µé¾î ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô ÃູÇϽôõ´Ï
24:50 And he took them out till they were near Bethany, and lifting up his hands, he gave
them a blessing.
24:50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands,
and blessed them.
24:51 ÃູÇÏ½Ç ¶§¿¡ ÀúÈñ¸¦ ¶°³ª [Çϴ÷Π¿Ã¸®¿ì]½Ã´Ï
24:51 And while he was doing so, he went from them and was taken up into heaven.
24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them,
and carried up into heaven.
24:52 ÀúÈñ°¡ [±×¿¡°Ô °æ¹èÇÏ°í] Å« ±â»ÝÀ¸·Î ¿¹·ç»ì·½¿¡ µ¹¾Æ°¡
24:52 And they gave him worship and went back to Jerusalem with great joy.
24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
24:53 ´Ã ¼ºÀü¿¡ ÀÖ¾î Çϳª´ÔÀ» Âù¼ÛÇϴ϶ó
24:53 And they were in the Temple at all times, giving praise to God.
24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
