1:1 예수 그리스도의 종 바울은 사도로 부르심을 받아 하나님의 복음을 위하여
택정함을 입었으니
1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, an Apostle by the selection of God, given authority
as a preacher of the good news,
1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
1:2 이 복음은 하나님이 선지자들로 말미암아 그의 아들에 관하여 성경에 미리
약속하신 것이라
1:2 Of which God had given word before by his prophets in the holy Writings,
1:2 (Which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
1:3 이 아들로 말하면 육신으로는 다윗의 혈통에서 나셨고
1:3 About his Son who, in the flesh, came from the family of David,
1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
1:4 성결의 영으로는 죽은 가운데서 부활하여 능력으로 하나님의 아들로 인정되셨으니
곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도시니라
1:4 But was marked out as Son of God in power by the Holy Spirit through the coming
to life again of the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord,
1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit (o. pneuma) of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
1:5 그로 말미암아 우리가 은혜와 사도의 직분을 받아 그 이름을 위하여 모든
이방인 중에서 믿어 순종케 하나니
1:5 Through whom grace has been given to us, sending us out to make disciples to the
faith among all nations, for his name:
1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
1:6 너희도 그들 중에 있어 예수 그리스도의 것으로 부르심을 입은 자니라
1:6 Among whom you in the same way have been marked out to be disciples of Jesus Christ:
1:6 Among whom are all of you also the called of Jesus Christ:
1:7 로마에 있어 하나님의 사랑하심을 입고 성도로 부르심을 입은 모든 자에게
하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로 좇아 은혜와 평강이 있기를 원하노라
1:7 To all those who are in Rome, loved by God, marked out as saints: Grace to you and
peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:8 ○ 첫째는 내가 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 너희 모든 사람을 인하여 내 하나님께
감사함은 너희 믿음이 온 세상에 전파됨이로다
1:8 First of all, I give praise to my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because
news of your faith has gone into all the world.
1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
1:9 내가 그의 아들의 복음 안에서 내 심령으로 섬기는 하나님이 나의 증인이
되시거니와 항상 내 기도에 쉬지 않고 너희를 말하며
1:9 For God is my witness, whose servant I am in spirit in the good news of his Son,
that you are at all times in my memory and in my prayers,
1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit (o. pneuma) in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
1:10 어떠하든지 이제 하나님의 뜻 안에서 너희에게로 나아갈 좋은 길 얻기를
구하노라
1:10 And that I am ever making prayers that God will give me a good journey to you.
1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
1:11 내가 너희 보기를 심히 원하는 것은 무슨 신령한 은사를 너희에게 나눠 주어
너희를 견고케 하려 함이니
1:11 For I have a strong desire to see you, and to give you some grace of the spirit,
so that you may be made strong;
1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end all of you may be established;
1:12 이는 곧 내가 너희 가운데서 너희와 나의 믿음을 인하여 피차 안위함을 얻으려 함이라
1:12 That is to say, that all of us may be comforted together by the faith which is in
you and in me.
1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
1:13 형제들아 내가 여러 번 너희에게 가고자 한 것을 너희가 모르기를 원치 아니하노니
이는 너희 중에서도 다른 이방인 중에서와 같이 열매를 맺게 하려 함이로되 지금까지
길이 막혔도다
1:13 You may be certain, my brothers, that it has frequently been in my mind to come
to you (but till now I was kept from it), so that I might have some fruit from you
in the same way as I have had it from the other nations.
1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let until now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
1:14 헬라인이나 야만이나 지혜 있는 자나 어리석은 자에게 다 내가 빚진 자라
1:14 I have a debt to Greeks and to the nations outside; to the wise and to those who
have no learning.
1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
1:15 그러므로 나는 할 수 있는 대로 로마에 있는 너희에게도 복음 전하기를 원하노라
1:15 For which reason I have the desire, as far as I am able, to give the knowledge of
the good news to you who are in Rome.
1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
1:16 내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을
주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 첫째는 유대인에게요 또한 헬라인에게로다
1:16 For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God
giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek.
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1:17 복음에는 하나님의 의가 나타나서 믿음으로 믿음에 이르게 하나니 기록된
바 오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 함과 같으니라
1:17 For in it there is the revelation of the righteousness of God from faith to faith:
as it is said in the holy Writings, The man who does righteousness will be living
by his faith.
1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1:18 ○ 하나님의 진노가 불의로 진리를 막는 사람들의 모든 경건치 않음과 불의에
대하여 하늘로 좇아 나타나나니
1:18 For there is a revelation of the wrath of God from heaven against all the wrongdoing
and evil thoughts of men who keep down what is true by wrongdoing;
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
1:19 이는 하나님을 알 만한 것이 저희 속에 보임이라 하나님께서 이를 저희에게
보이셨느니라
1:19 Because the knowledge of God may be seen in them, God having made it clear to them.
1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it unto them.
1:20 창세로부터 그의 보이지 아니하는 것들 곧 그의 영원하신 능력과 신성이
그 만드신 만물에 분명히 보여 알게 되나니 그러므로 저희가 핑계치 못할지니라
1:20 For from the first making of the world, those things of God which the eye is unable
to see, that is, his eternal power and existence, are fully made clear, he having
given the knowledge of them through the things which he has made, so that men have
no reason for wrongdoing:
1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
1:21 하나님을 알되 하나님으로 영화롭게도 아니하며 감사치도 아니하고 오히려
그 생각이 허망하여지며 미련한 마음이 어두워졌나니
1:21 Because, having the knowledge of God, they did not give glory to God as God, and
did not give praise, but their minds were full of foolish things, and their hearts,
being without sense, were made dark.
1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
1:22 스스로 지혜 있다 하나 우준하게 되어
1:22 Seeming to be wise, they were in fact foolish,
1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
1:23 썩어지지 아니하는 하나님의 영광을 썩어질 사람과 금수와 버러지 형상의
우상으로 바꾸었느니라
1:23 And by them the glory of the eternal God was changed and made into the image of
man who is not eternal, and of birds and beasts and things which go on the earth.
1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
1:24 ○ 그러므로 하나님께서 저희를 마음의 정욕대로 더러움에 내어버려 두사
저희 몸을 서로 욕되게 하셨으니
1:24 For this reason God gave them up to the evil desires of their hearts, working shame
in their bodies with one another:
1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
1:25 이는 저희가 하나님의 진리를 거짓 것으로 바꾸어 피조물을 조물주보다 더
경배하고 섬김이라 주는 곧 영원히 찬송할 이시로다 아멘
1:25 Because by them the true word of God was changed into that which is false, and they
gave worship and honour to the thing which is made, and not to him who made it,
to whom be blessing for ever. So be it.
1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
1:26 ○ 이를 인하여 하나님께서 저희를 부끄러운 욕심에 내어버려 두셨으니
곧 저희 여인들도 순리대로 쓸 것을 바꾸어 역리로 쓰며
1:26 For this reason God gave them up to evil passions, and their women were changing
the natural use into one which is unnatural:
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 이와 같이 남자들도 순리대로 여인 쓰기를 버리고 서로 향하여 음욕이 불
일듯 하매 남자가 남자로 더불어 부끄러운 일을 행하여 저희의 그릇됨에 상당한 보응을
그 자신에 받았느니라
1:27 And in the same way the men gave up the natural use of the woman and were burning
in their desire for one another, men doing shame with men, and getting in their
bodies the right reward of their evil-doing.
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1:28 ○ 또한 저희가 마음에 하나님 두기를 싫어하매 하나님께서 저희를 그 상실한
마음대로 내어버려 두사 합당치 못한 일을 하게 하셨으니
1:28 And because they had not the mind to keep God in their knowledge, God gave them
up to an evil mind, to do those things which are not right;
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
1:29 곧 모든 불의, 추악, 탐욕, 악의가 가득한 자요 시기, 살인, 분쟁, 사기,
악독이 가득한 자요 수군수군하는 자요
1:29 Being full of all wrongdoing, evil, desire for the goods of others, hate, envy,
putting to death, fighting, deceit, cruel ways, evil talk, and false statements
about others;
1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, ill will; whisperers,
1:30 비방하는 자요 하나님의 미워하시는 자요 능욕하는 자요 교만한 자요 자랑하는
자요 악을 도모하는 자요 부모를 거역하는 자요
1:30 Hated by God, full of pride, without respect, full of loud talk, given to evil inventions,
not honouring father or mother,
1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
1:31 우매한 자요 배약하는 자요 무정한 자요 무자비한 자라
1:31 Without knowledge, not true to their undertakings, unkind, having no mercy:
1:31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, refusing to reconcile, unmerciful:
1:32 저희가 이같은 일을 행하는 자는 사형에 해당하다고 하나님의 정하심을 알고도
자기들만 행할 뿐 아니라 또한 그 일을 행하는 자를 옳다 하느니라
1:32 Who, though they have knowledge of the law of God, that the fate of those who do
these things is death, not only go on doing these things themselves, but give approval
to those who do them.
1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
2:1 그러므로 남을 판단하는 사람아 무론 누구든지 네가 핑계치 못할 것은 남을
판단하는 것으로 네가 너를 정죄함이니 판단하는 네가 같은 일을 행함이니라
2:1 So you have no reason, whoever you are, for judging: for in judging another you
are judging yourself, for you do the same things.
2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.
2:2 이런 일을 행하는 자에게 하나님의 판단이 진리대로 되는 줄 우리가 아노라
2:2 And we are conscious that God is a true judge against those who do such things.
2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
2:3 이런 일을 행하는 자를 판단하고도 같은 일을 행하는 사람아 네가 하나님의
판단을 피할 줄로 생각하느냐
2:3 But you who are judging another for doing what you do yourself, are you hoping that
God's decision will not take effect against you?
2:3 And think you this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?
2:4 혹 네가 하나님의 인자하심이 너를 인도하여 회개케 하심을 알지 못하여 그의
인자하심과 용납하심과 길이 참으심의 풍성함을 멸시하느뇨
2:4 Or is it nothing to you that God had pity on you, waiting and putting up with you
for so long, not seeing that in his pity God's desire is to give you a change of
heart?
2:4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
2:5 다만 네 고집과 회개치 아니한 마음을 따라 진노의 날 곧 하나님의 의로우신
판단이 나타나는 그 날에 임할 진노를 네게 쌓는도다
2:5 But by your hard and unchanged heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the
day of the revelation of God's judging in righteousness;
2:5 But after your hardness and refusing to repent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
2:6 하나님께서 각 사람에게 그 행한 대로 보응하시되
2:6 Who will give to every man his right reward:
2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2:7 참고 선을 행하여 영광과 존귀와 썩지 아니함을 구하는 자에게는 영생으로
하시고
2:7 To those who go on with good works in the hope of glory and honour and salvation
from death, he will give eternal life:
2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
2:8 오직 당을 지어 진리를 좇지 아니하고 불의를 좇는 자에게는 노와 분으로
하시리라
2:8 But to those who, from a love of competition, are not guided by what is true, will
come the heat of his wrath,
2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
2:9 악을 행하는 각 사람의 영에게 환난과 곤고가 있으리니 첫째는 유대인에게요
또한 헬라인에게며
2:9 Trouble and sorrow on all whose works are evil, to the Jew first and then to the
Greek;
2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
2:10 선을 행하는 각 사람에게는 영광과 존귀와 평강이 있으리니 첫째는 유대인에게요
또한 헬라인에게라
2:10 But glory and honour and peace to all whose works are good, to the Jew first and
then to the Greek:
2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
2:11 이는 하나님께서 외모로 사람을 취하지 아니하심이니라
2:11 For one man is not different from another before God.
2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
2:12 무릇 율법 없이 범죄한 자는 또한 율법 없이 망하고 무릇 율법이 있고 범죄한
자는 율법으로 말미암아 심판을 받으리라
2:12 All those who have done wrong without the law will get destruction without the law:
and those who have done wrong under the law will have their punishment by the law;
2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
2:13 하나님 앞에서는 율법을 듣는 자가 의인이 아니요 오직 율법을 행하는 자라야
의롭다 하심을 얻으리니
2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who will be judged as having righteousness
before God, but only the doers:
2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
2:14 {율법 없는 이방인이 본성으로 율법의 일을 행할 때는 이 사람은 율법이
없어도 자기가 자기에게 율법이 되나니
2:14 For when the Gentiles without the law have a natural desire to do the things in
the law, they are a law to themselves;
2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
2:15 이런 이들은 그 양심이 증거가 되어 그 생각들이 서로 혹은 송사하며 혹은
변명하여 그 마음에 새긴 율법의 행위를 나타내느니라}
2:15 Because the work of the law is seen in their hearts, their sense of right and wrong
giving witness to it, while their minds are at one time judging them and at another
giving them approval;
2:15 Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
2:16 곧 내 복음에 이른 바와 같이 하나님이 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 사람들의
은밀한 것을 심판하시는 그 날이라
2:16 In the day when God will be a judge of the secrets of men, as it says in the good
news of which I am a preacher, through Jesus Christ.
2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
2:17 ○ 유대인이라 칭하는 네가 율법을 의지하며 하나님을 자랑하며
2:17 But as for you who have the name of Jew, and are resting on the law, and take pride
in God,
2:17 Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast of God,
2:18 율법의 교훈을 받아 하나님의 뜻을 알고 지극히 선한 것을 좋게 여기며
2:18 And have knowledge of his desires, and are a judge of the things which are different,
having the learning of the law,
2:18 And know his will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
2:19 네가 율법에 있는 지식과 진리의 규모를 가진 자로서 소경의 길을 인도하는
자요 어두움에 있는 자의 빛이요
2:19 In the belief that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those in the dark,
2:19 And are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
2:20 어리석은 자의 훈도요 어린 아이의 선생이라고 스스로 믿으니
2:20 A teacher of the foolish, having in the law the form of knowledge and of what is
true;
2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which have the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
2:21 그러면 다른 사람을 가르치는 네가 네 자신을 가르치지 아니하느냐 도적질
말라 반포하는 네가 도적질 하느냐
2:21 You who give teaching to others, do you give it to yourself? you who say that a
man may not take what is not his, do you take what is not yours?
2:21 You therefore which teach another, teach you not yourself? you that preach a man should not steal, do you steal?
2:22 간음하지 말라 말하는 네가 간음하느냐 우상을 가증히 여기는 네가 신사
물건을 도적질하느냐
2:22 You who say that a man may not be untrue to his wife, are you true to yours? you
who are a hater of images, do you do wrong to the house of God?
2:22 You that says a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you that abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?
2:23 율법을 자랑하는 네가 율법을 범함으로 하나님을 욕되게 하느냐
2:23 You who take pride in the law, are you doing wrong to the honour of God by behaviour
which is against the law?
2:23 You that make your boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonour you God?
2:24 기록된 바와 같이 하나님의 이름이 너희로 인하여 이방인 중에서 모독을
받는도다
2:24 For the name of God is shamed among the Gentiles because of you, as it is said in
the holy Writings.
2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
2:25 네가 율법을 행한즉 할례가 유익하나 만일 율법을 범한즉 네 할례가 무할례가
되었느니라
2:25 It is true that circumcision is of use if you keep the law, but if you go against
the law it is as if you had it not.
2:25 For circumcision verily profits, if you keep the law: but if you be a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision.
2:26 그런즉 무할례자가 율법의 제도를 지키면 그 무할례를 할례와 같이 여길 것이
아니냐
2:26 If those who have not circumcision keep the rules of the law, will it not be credited
to them as circumcision?
2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
2:27 또한 본래 무할례자가 율법을 온전히 지키면 의문과 할례를 가지고 율법을
범하는 너를 판단치 아니하겠느냐
2:27 And they, by their keeping of the law without circumcision, will be judges of you,
by whom the law is broken though you have the letter of the law and circumcision.
2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law?
2:28 대저 표면적 유대인이 유대인이 아니요 표면적 육신의 할례가 할례가 아니라
2:28 The true Jew is not one who is only so publicly, and circumcision is not that which
may be seen in the flesh:
2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
2:29 오직 이면적 유대인이 유대인이며 할례는 마음에 할지니 신령에 있고 의문에
있지 아니한 것이라 그 칭찬이 사람에게서가 아니요 다만 하나님에게서니라
2:29 But he is a Jew who is a secret one, whose circumcision is of the heart, in the
spirit and not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
3:1 그런즉 유대인의 나음이 무엇이며 할례의 유익이 무엇이뇨
3:1 How then is the Jew better off? or what profit is there in circumcision?
3:1 What advantage then has the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
3:2 범사에 많으니 첫째는 저희가 하나님의 말씀을 맡았음이니라
3:2 Much in every way: first of all because the words of God were given to them.
3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3:3 어떤 자들이 믿지 아니하였으면 어찌하리요 그 믿지 아니함이 하나님의 미쁘심을
폐하겠느뇨
3:3 And if some have no faith, will that make the faith of God without effect?
3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
3:4 그럴 수 없느니라 사람은 다 거짓되되 오직 하나님은 참되시다 할지어다 기록된
바 주께서 주의 말씀에 의롭다 함을 얻으시고 판단 받으실 때에 이기려 하심이라
함과 같으니라
3:4 In no way: but let God be true, though every man is seen to be untrue; as it is
said in the Writings, That your words may be seen to be true, and you may be seen
to be right when you are judged.
3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, (o. logos) and might overcome when you are judged.
3:5 그러나 우리 불의가 하나님의 의를 드러나게 하면 무슨 말 하리요 내가 사람의
말하는 대로 말하노니 진노를 내리시는 하나님이 불의하시냐
3:5 But if the righteousness of God is supported by our wrongdoing what is to be said?
is it wrong for God to be angry (as men may say)?
3:5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man)
3:6 결코 그렇지 아니하니라 만일 그러하면 하나님께서 어찌 세상을 심판하시리요
3:6 In no way: because if it is so, how is God able to be the judge of all the world?
3:6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
3:7 그러나 나의 거짓말로 하나님의 참되심이 더 풍성하여 그의 영광이 되었으면
어찌 나도 죄인처럼 심판을 받으리요
3:7 But if, because I am untrue, God being seen to be true gets more glory, why am I
to be judged as a sinner?
3:7 For if the truth of God has more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
3:8 또는 그러면 선을 이루기 위하여 악을 행하자 하지 않겠느냐 (어떤 이들이
이렇게 비방하여 우리가 이런 말을 한다고 하니) 저희가 정죄받는 것이 옳으니라
3:8 Let us not do evil so that good may come (a statement which we are falsely said
by some to have made), because such behaviour will have its right punishment.
3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
3:9 ○ 그러면 어떠하뇨 우리는 나으뇨 결코 아니라 유대인이나 헬라인이나 다
죄 아래 있다고 우리가 이미 선언하였느니라
3:9 What then? are we worse off than they? In no way: because we have before made it
clear that Jews as well as Greeks are all under the power of sin;
3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
3:10 기록한 바 의인은 없나니 하나도 없으며
3:10 As it is said in the holy Writings, There is not one who does righteousness;
3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
3:11 깨닫는 자도 없고 하나님을 찾는 자도 없고
3:11 Not one who has the knowledge of what is right, not one who is a searcher after
God;
3:11 There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.
3:12 다 치우쳐 한가지로 무익하게 되고 선을 행하는 자는 없나니 하나도
없도다
3:12 They have all gone out of the way, there is no profit in any of them; there is not
one who does good, not so much as one:
3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become useless; there is none that does good, no, not one.
3:13 저희 목구멍은 열린 무덤이요 그 혀로는 속임을 베풀며 그 입술에는
독사의 독이 있고
3:13 Their throat is like an open place of death; with their tongues they have said what
is not true: the poison of snakes is under their lips:
3:13 Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
3:14 그 입에는 저주와 악독이 가득하고
3:14 Whose mouth is full of curses and bitter words:
3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
3:15 그 발은 피 흘리는데 빠른지라
3:15 Their feet are quick in running after blood;
3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
3:16 파멸과 고생이 그 길에 있어
3:16 Destruction and trouble are in their ways;
3:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
3:17 평강의 길을 알지 못하였고
3:17 And of the way of peace they have no knowledge:
3:17 And the way of peace have they not known:
3:18 저희 눈 앞에 하나님을 두려워함이 없느니라 함과 같으니라
3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
3:19 ○ 우리가 알거니와 무릇 율법이 말하는 바는 율법 아래 있는 자들에게 말하는
것이니 이는 모든 입을 막고 온 세상으로 하나님의 심판 아래 있게 하려 함이니라
3:19 Now, we have knowledge that what the law says is for those who are under the law,
so that every mouth may be stopped, and all men may be judged by God:
3:19 Now we know that what things whatsoever the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
3:20 그러므로 율법의 행위로 그의 앞에 의롭다 하심을 얻을 육체가 없나니 율법으로는
죄를 깨달음이니라
3:20 Because by the works of the law no man is able to have righteousness in his eyes,
for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
3:21 이제는 율법 외에 하나님의 한 의가 나타났으니 율법과 선지자들에게 증거를
받은 것이라
3:21 But now without the law there is a revelation of the righteousness of God, to which
witness is given by the law and the prophets;
3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
3:22 곧 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 모든 믿는 자에게 미치는 하나님의
의니 차별이 없느니라
3:22 That is, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, to all those who
have faith; and one man is not different from another,
3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
3:23 모든 사람이 죄를 범하였으매 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하더니
3:23 For all have done wrong and are far from the glory of God;
3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
3:24 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구속으로 말미암아 하나님의 은혜로 값 없이 의롭다
하심을 얻은 자 되었느니라
3:24 And they may have righteousness put to their credit, freely, by his grace, through
the salvation which is in Christ Jesus:
3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
3:25 이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로 인하여 믿음으로 말미암는 화목 제물로 세우셨으니
이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을
나타내려 하심이니
3:25 Whom God has put forward as the sign of his mercy, through faith, by his blood,
to make clear his righteousness when, in his pity, God let the sins of earlier times
go without punishment;
3:25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
3:26 곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는
자를 의롭다 하려 하심이니라
3:26 And to make clear his righteousness now, so that he might himself be upright, and
give righteousness to him who has faith in Jesus.
3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus.
3:27 그런즉 자랑할 데가 어디뇨 있을 수가 없느니라 무슨 법으로냐 행위로냐
아니라 오직 믿음의 법으로니라
3:27 What reason, then, is there for pride? It is shut out. By what sort of law? of works?
No, but by a law of faith.
3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
3:28 그러므로 사람이 의롭다 하심을 얻는 것은 율법의 행위에 있지 않고 믿음으로
되는 줄 우리가 인정하노라
3:28 For this reason, then, a man may get righteousness by faith without the works of
the law.
3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
3:29 하나님은 홀로 유대인의 하나님 뿐이시뇨 또 이방인의 하나님은 아니시뇨
진실로 이방인의 하나님도 되시느니라
3:29 Or is God the God of Jews only? is he not in the same way the God of Gentiles? Yes,
of Gentiles:
3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
3:30 할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 또는 무할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 의롭다
하실 하나님은 한 분이시니라
3:30 If God is one; and he will give righteousness because of faith to those who have
circumcision, and through faith to those who have not circumcision.
3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
3:31 그런즉 우리가 믿음으로 말미암아 율법을 폐하느뇨 그럴 수 없느니라 도리어
율법을 굳게 세우느니라
3:31 Do we, then, through faith make the law of no effect? in no way: but we make it
clear that the law is important.
3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
4:1 그런즉 육신으로 우리 조상된 아브라함이 무엇을 얻었다 하리요
4:1 What, then, may we say that Abraham, our father after the flesh, has got?
4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, has found?
4:2 만일 아브라함이 행위로써 의롭다 하심을 얻었으면 자랑할 것이 있으려니와
하나님 앞에서는 없느니라
4:2 For if Abraham got righteousness by works, he has reason for pride; but not before
God.
4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he has whereof to glory; but not before God.
4:3 성경이 무엇을 말하느뇨 아브라함이 하나님을 믿으매 이것이 저에게 의로
여기신 바 되었느니라
4:3 But what does it say in the holy Writings? And Abraham had faith in God, and it
was put to his account as righteousness.
4:3 For what says the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4:4 일하는 자에게는 그 삯을 은혜로 여기지 아니하고 빚으로 여기거니와
4:4 Now, the reward is credited to him who does works, not as of grace but as a debt.
4:4 Now to him that works is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
4:5 일을 아니할지라도 경건치 아니한 자를 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는
그의 믿음을 의로 여기시나니
4:5 But to him who without working has faith in him who gives righteousness to the evil-doer,
his faith is put to his account as righteousness.
4:5 But to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
4:6 일한 것이 없이 하나님께 의로 여기심을 받는 사람의 행복에 대하여 다윗의
말한 바
4:6 As David says that there is a blessing on the man to whose account God puts righteousness
without works, saying,
4:6 Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness without works,
4:7 그 불법을 사하심을 받고 그 죄를 가리우심을 받는 자는 복이 있고
4:7 Happy are those who have forgiveness for their wrongdoing, and whose sins are covered.
4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
4:8 주께서 그 죄를 인정치 아니하실 사람은 복이 있도다 함과 같으니라
4:8 Happy is the man against whom no sin is recorded by the Lord.
4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
4:9 그런즉 이 행복이 할례자에게뇨 혹 무할례자에게도뇨 대저 우리가 말하기를
아브라함에게는 그 믿음을 의로 여기셨다 하노라
4:9 Is this blessing, then, for the circumcision only, or in the same way for those
who have not circumcision? for we say that the faith of Abraham was put to his account
as righteousness.
4:9 Comes this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
4:10 그런즉 이를 어떻게 여기셨느뇨 할례시냐 무할례시냐 할례시가 아니라 무할례시니라
4:10 How, then, was it judged? when he had circumcision, or when he had it not? Not when
he had it, but when he did not have it:
4:10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
4:11 저가 할례의 표를 받은 것은 무할례시에 믿음으로 된 의를 인친 것이니 이는
무할례자로서 믿는 모든 자의 조상이 되어 저희로 의로 여기심을 얻게 하려 하심이라
4:11 And he was given the sign of circumcision as a witness of the faith which he had
before he underwent circumcision: so that he might be the father of all those who
have faith, though they have not circumcision, and so that righteousness might be
put to their account;
4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
4:12 또한 할례자의 조상이 되었나니 곧 할례 받을 자에게뿐 아니라 우리 조상
아브라함의 무할례시에 가졌던 믿음의 자취를 좇는 자들에게도니라
4:12 And the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but
who keep to the way of that faith which our father Abraham had before he underwent
circumcision.
4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
4:13 아브라함이나 그 후손에게 세상의 후사가 되리라고 하신 언약은 율법으로
말미암은 것이 아니요 오직 믿음의 의로 말미암은 것이니라
4:13 For God's word, that the earth would be his heritage, was given to Abraham, not
through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
4:14 만일 율법에 속한 자들이 후사이면 믿음은 헛것이 되고 약속은 폐하여졌느니라
4:14 For if they who are of the law are the people who get the heritage, then faith is
made of no use, and the word of God has no power;
4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of no effect:
4:15 율법은 진노를 이루게 하나니 율법이 없는 곳에는 범함도 없느니라
4:15 For the outcome of the law is wrath; but where there is no law it will not be broken.
4:15 Because the law works wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
4:16 그러므로 후사가 되는 이것이 은혜에 속하기 위하여 믿음으로 되나니 이는
그 약속을 그 모든 후손에게 굳게 하려 하심이라 율법에 속한 자에게뿐 아니라 아브라함의
믿음에 속한 자에게도니 아브라함은 하나님 앞에서 우리 모든 사람의 조상이라
4:16 For this reason it is of faith, so that it may be through grace; and so that the
word of God may be certain to all the seed; not only to that which is of the law,
but to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
4:17 기록된 바 내가 너를 많은 민족의 조상으로 세웠다 하심과 같으니 그의 믿은
바 하나님은 죽은 자를 살리시며 없는 것을 있는 것 같이 부르시는 이시니라
4:17 (As it is said in the holy Writings, I have made you a father of a number of nations)
before him in whom he had faith, that is, God, who gives life to the dead, and to
whom the things which are not are as if they were.
4:17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who replenishes life to the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were.
4:18 아브라함이 바랄 수 없는 중에 바라고 믿었으니 이는 네 후손이 이같으리라
하신 말씀대로 많은 민족의 조상이 되게 하려 하심을 인함이라
4:18 Who without reason for hope, in faith went on hoping, so that he became the father
of a number of nations, as it had been said, So will your seed be.
4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your seed be.
4:19 그가 백 세나 되어 자기 몸의 죽은 것 같음과 사라의 태의 죽은 것 같음을
알고도 믿음이 약하여지지 아니하고
4:19 And not being feeble in faith though his body seemed to him little better than dead
(he being about a hundred years old) and Sarah was no longer able to have children:
4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
4:20 믿음이 없어 하나님의 약속을 의심치 않고 믿음에 견고하여져서 하나님께
영광을 돌리며
4:20 Still, he did not give up faith in the undertaking of God, but was made strong by
faith, giving glory to God,
4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
4:21 약속하신 그것을 또한 능히 이루실 줄을 확신하였으니
4:21 And being certain that God was able to keep his word.
4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
4:22 그러므로 이것을 저에게 의로 여기셨느니라
4:22 For which reason it was put to his account as righteousness.
4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
4:23 저에게 의로 여기셨다 기록된 것은 아브라함만 위한 것이 아니요
4:23 Now, it was not because of him only that this was said,
4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
4:24 의로 여기심을 받을 우리도 위함이니 곧 예수 우리 주를 죽은 자 가운데서
살리신 이를 믿는 자니라
4:24 But for us in addition, to whose account it will be put, if we have faith in him
who made Jesus our Lord come back again from the dead,
4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
4:25 예수는 우리 범죄함을 위하여 내어줌이 되고 또한 우리를 의롭다 하심을
위하여 살아나셨느니라
4:25 Who was put to death for our evil-doing, and came to life again so that we might
have righteousness.
4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
5:1 그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 얻었은즉 우리 주 예수그리스도로
말미암아 하나님으로 더불어 화평을 누리자
5:1 For which reason, because we have righteousness through faith, let us be at peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
5:2 또한 그로 말미암아 우리가 믿음으로 서 있는 이 은혜에 들어감을 얻었으며
하나님의 영광을 바라고 즐거워하느니라
5:2 Through whom, in the same way, we have been able by faith to come to this grace
in which we now are; and let us have joy in hope of the glory of God.
5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
5:3 다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를
5:3 And not only so, but let us have joy in our troubles: in the knowledge that trouble
gives us the power of waiting;
5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;
5:4 인내는 연단을 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다
5:4 And waiting gives experience; and experience, hope:
5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5:5 소망이 부끄럽게 아니함은 우리에게 주신 성령으로 말미암아 하나님의 사랑이
우리 마음에 부은 바 됨이니
5:5 And hope does not put to shame; because our hearts are full of the love of God through
the Holy Spirit which is given to us.
5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love (o. agape) of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) which is given unto us.
5:6 우리가 아직 연약할 때에 기약대로 그리스도께서 경건치 않은 자를 위하여
죽으셨도다
5:6 For when we were still without strength, at the right time Christ gave his life
for evil-doers.
5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
5:7 의인을 위하여 죽는 자가 쉽지 않고 선인을 위하여 용감히 죽는 자가 혹 있거니와
5:7 Now it is hard for anyone to give his life even for an upright man, though it might
be that for a good man someone would give his life.
5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet possibly for a good man some would even dare to die.
5:8 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서
우리에게 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라
5:8 But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ
gave his life for us.
5:8 But God commends his love (o. agape) toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
5:9 그러면 이제 우리가 그 피를 인하여 의롭다 하심을 얻었은즉 더욱 그로 말미암아
진노하심에서 구원을 얻을 것이니
5:9 Much more, if we now have righteousness by his blood, will salvation from the wrath
of God come to us through him.
5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
5:10 곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아 하나님으로
더불어 화목 되었은즉 화목 된 자로서는 더욱 그의 살으심을 인하여 구원을 얻을 것이니라
5:10 For if, when we were haters of God, the death of his Son made us at peace with him,
much more, now that we are his friends, will we have salvation through his life;
5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
5:11 이뿐 아니라 이제 우리로 화목을 얻게 하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아
하나님 안에서 또한 즐거워하느니라
5:11 And not only so, but we have joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom
we are now at peace with God.
5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
5:12 ○ 이러므로 한 사람으로 말미암아 죄가 세상에 들어오고 죄로 말미암아
사망이 왔나니 이와 같이 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 사망이 모든 사람에게 이르렀느니라
5:12 For this reason, as through one man sin came into the world, and death because of
sin, and so death came to all men, because all have done evil:
5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
5:13 죄가 율법 있기 전에도 세상에 있었으나 율법이 없을 때에는 죄를 죄로 여기지
아니하느니라
5:13 Because, till the law came, sin was in existence, but sin is not put to the account
of anyone when there is no law to be broken.
5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
5:14 그러나 아담으로부터 모세까지 아담의 범죄와 같은 죄를 짓지 아니한 자들
위에도 사망이 왕 노릇 하였나니 아담은 오실 자의 표상이라
5:14 But still death had power from Adam till Moses, even over those who had not done
wrong like Adam, who is a picture of him who was to come.
5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the embodiment of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
5:15 그러나 이 은사는 그 범죄와 같지 아니하니 곧 한 사람의 범죄를 인하여
많은 사람이 죽었은즉 더욱 하나님의 은혜와 또는 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜로
말미암은 선물이 많은 사람에게 넘쳤으리라
5:15 But the free giving of God is not like the wrongdoing of man. For if, by the wrongdoing
of one man death came to numbers of men, much more did the grace of God, and the
free giving by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, come to men.
5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many.
5:16 또 이 선물은 범죄한 한 사람으로 말미암은 것과 같지 아니하니 심판은 한
사람을 인하여 정죄에 이르렀으나 은사는 많은 범죄를 인하여 의롭다 하심에 이름이니라
5:16 And the free giving has not the same effect as the sin of one: for the effect of
one man's sin was punishment by the decision of God, but the free giving had power
to give righteousness to wrongdoers in great number.
5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
5:17 한 사람의 범죄를 인하여 사망이 그 한 사람으로 말미암아 왕 노릇 하였은즉
더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들이 한 분 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 생명
안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다
5:17 For, if by the wrongdoing of one, death was ruling through the one, much more will
those to whom has come the wealth of grace and the giving of righteousness, be ruling
in life through the one, even Jesus Christ.
5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
5:18 그런즉 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것 같이 의의 한 행동으로 말미암아
많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르렀느니라
5:18 So then, as the effect of one act of wrongdoing was that punishment came on all
men, even so the effect of one act of righteousness was righteousness of life for
all men.
5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
5:19 한 사람의 순종치 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인 된 것 같이 한 사람의 순종하심으로
많은 사람이 의인이 되리라
5:19 Because, as numbers of men became sinners through the wrongdoing of one man, even
so will great numbers get righteousness through the keeping of the word of God by
one man.
5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
5:20 율법이 가입한 것은 범죄를 더하게 하려 함이라 그러나 죄가 더 한 곳에
은혜가 더욱 넘쳤나니
5:20 And the law came in addition, to make wrongdoing worse; but where there was much
sin, there was much more grace:
5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
5:21 이는 죄가 사망 안에서 왕 노릇 한 것 같이 은혜도 또한 의로 말미암아 왕
노릇 하여 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 영생에 이르게 하려 함이니라
5:21 That, as sin had power in death, so grace might have power through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
5:21 That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
6:1 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 은혜를 더하게 하려고 죄에 거하겠느뇨
6:1 What may we say, then? are we to go on in sin so that there may be more grace?
6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
6:2 그럴 수 없느니라 죄에 대하여 죽은 우리가 어찌 그 가운데 더 살리요
6:2 In no way. How may we, who are dead to sin, be living in it any longer?
6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
6:3 무릇 그리스도 예수와 합하여 세례를 받은 우리는 그의 죽으심과 합하여 세례
받은 줄을 알지 못하느뇨
6:3 Or are you without the knowledge that all we who had baptism into Christ Jesus,
had baptism into his death?
6:3 Know all of you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
6:4 그러므로 우리가 그의 죽으심과 합하여 세례를 받음으로 그와 함께 장사되었나니
이는 아버지의 영광으로 말미암아 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리로
또한 새 생명 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이니라
6:4 We have been placed with him among the dead through baptism into death: so that
as Christ came again from the dead by the glory of the Father, we, in the same way,
might be living in new life.
6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
6:5 만일 우리가 그의 죽으심을 본받아 연합한 자가 되었으면 또한 그의 부활을
본받아 연합한 자가 되리라
6:5 For, if we have been made like him in his death, we will, in the same way, be like
him in his coming to life again;
6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6:6 우리가 알거니와 우리 옛 사람이 예수와 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 것은 죄의
몸이 멸하여 다시는 우리가 죄에게 종 노릇 하지 아니하려 함이니
6:6 Being conscious that our old man was put to death on the cross with him, so that
the body of sin might be put away, and we might no longer be servants to sin.
6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
6:7 이는 죽은 자가 죄에서 벗어나 의롭다 하심을 얻었음이니라
6:7 Because he who is dead is free from sin.
6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
6:8 만일 우리가 그리스도와 함께 죽었으면 또한 그와 함께 살 줄을 믿노니
6:8 But if we are dead with Christ, we have faith that we will be living with him;
6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
6:9 이는 그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 사셨으매 다시 죽지 아니하시고 사망이
다시 그를 주장하지 못할 줄을 앎이로라
6:9 Having knowledge that because Christ has come back from the dead, he will never
again go down to the dead; death has no more power over him.
6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
6:10 그의 죽으심은 죄에 대하여 단번에 죽으심이요 그의 살으심은 하나님께 대하여
살으심이니
6:10 For his death was a death to sin, but his life now is a life which he is living
to God.
6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God.
6:11 이와 같이 너희도 너희 자신을 죄에 대하여는 죽은 자요 그리스도 예수 안에서
하나님을 대하여는 산 자로 여길지어다
6:11 Even so see yourselves as dead to sin, but living to God in Christ Jesus.
6:11 Likewise reckon all of you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
6:12 ○ 그러므로 너희는 죄로 너희 죽을 몸에 왕 노릇 하지 못하게 하여 몸의
사욕을 순종치 말고
6:12 For this cause do not let sin be ruling in your body which is under the power of
death, so that you give way to its desires;
6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that all of you should obey it in the lusts thereof.
6:13 또한 너희 지체를 불의의 병기로 죄에게 드리지 말고 오직 너희 자신을 죽은
자 가운데서 다시 산 자 같이 하나님께 드리며 너의 지체를 의의 병기로 하나님께
드리라
6:13 And do not give your bodies to sin as the instruments of wrongdoing, but give yourselves
to God, as those who are living from the dead, and your bodies as instruments of
righteousness to God.
6:13 Neither yield all of you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
6:14 죄가 너희를 주관치 못하리니 이는 너희가 법 아래 있지 아니하고 은혜 아래
있음이니라
6:14 For sin may not have rule over you: because you are not under law, but under grace.
6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for all of you are not under the law, but under grace.
6:15 ○ 그런즉 어찌하리요 우리가 법 아래 있지 아니하고 은혜 아래 있으니 죄를
지으리요 그럴 수 없느니라
6:15 What then? are we to go on in sin because we are not under law but under grace?
Let it not be so.
6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
6:16 너희 자신을 종으로 드려 누구에게 순종하든지 그 순종함을 받는 자의 종이
되는 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 혹은 죄의 종으로 사망에 이르고 혹은 순종의 종으로
의에 이르느니라
6:16 Are you not conscious that you are the servants of him to whom you give yourselves
to do his desire? if to sin, the end being death, or if to do the desire of God,
the end being righteousness.
6:16 Know all of you not, that to whom all of you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants all of you are to whom all of you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
6:17 하나님께 감사하리로다 너희가 본래 죄의 종이더니 너희에게 전하여 준 바
교훈의 본을 마음으로 순종하여
6:17 But praise be to God that though you were the servants of sin, you have now given
yourselves freely to that form of teaching under which you were placed;
6:17 But God be thanked, that all of you were the servants of sin, but all of you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
6:18 죄에게서 해방되어 의에게 종이 되었느니라
6:18 And being made free from sin you have been made the servants of righteousness.
6:18 Being then made free from sin, all of you became the servants of righteousness.
6:19 너희 육신이 연약하므로 내가 사람의 예대로 말하노니 전에 너희가 너희
지체를 부정과 불법에 드려 불법에 이른 것 같이 이제는 너희 지체를 의에게 종으로
드려 거룩함에 이르라
6:19 I am using words in the way of men, because your flesh is feeble: as you gave your
bodies as servants to what is unclean, and to evil to do evil, so now give them
as servants to righteousness to do what is holy.
6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as all of you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
6:20 너희가 죄의 종이 되었을 때에는 의에 대하여 자유하였느니라
6:20 When you were servants of sin you were free from righteousness.
6:20 For when all of you were the servants of sin, all of you were free from righteousness.
6:21 너희가 그 때에 무슨 열매를 얻었느뇨 이제는 너희가 그 일을 부끄러워하나니
이는 그 마지막이 사망임이니라
6:21 What fruit had you at that time in the things which are now a shame to you? for
the end of such things is death.
6:21 What fruit had all of you then in those things whereof all of you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
6:22 그러나 이제는 너희가 죄에게서 해방되고 하나님께 종이 되어 거룩함에 이르는
열매를 얻었으니 이 마지막은 영생이라
6:22 But now, being free from sin, and having been made servants to God, you have your
fruit in that which is holy, and the end is eternal life.
6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, all of you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
6:23 죄의 삯은 사망이요 하나님의 은사는 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에 있는 영생이니라
6:23 For the reward of sin is death; but what God freely gives is eternal life in Jesus
Christ our Lord.
6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
7:1 형제들아 내가 법 아는 자들에게 말하노니 너희는 율법이 사람의 살 동안만
그를 주관하는 줄 알지 못하느냐
7:1 Is it not clear, my brothers (I am using an argument to those who have knowledge
of the law), that the law has power over a man as long as he is living?
7:1 Know all of you not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives?
7:2 남편 있는 여인이 그 남편 생전에는 법으로 그에게 매인 바 되나 만일 그 남편이
죽으면 남편의 법에서 벗어났느니라
7:2 For the woman who has a husband is placed by the law under the power of her husband
as long as he is living; but if her husband is dead, she is free from the law of
the husband.
7:2 For the woman which has an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
7:3 그러므로 만일 그 남편 생전에 다른 남자에게 가면 음부라 이르되 남편이
죽으면 그 법에서 자유케 되나니 다른 남자에게 갈지라도 음부가 되지 아니하느니라
7:3 So if, while the husband is living, she is joined to another man, she will get the
name of one who is untrue to her husband: but if the husband is dead, she is free
from the law, so that she is not untrue, even if she takes another man.
7:3 So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
7:4 그러므로 내 형제들아 너희도 그리스도의 몸으로 말미암아 율법에 대하여
죽임을 당하였으니 이는 다른 이 곧 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나신 이에게 가서 우리로
하나님을 위하여 열매를 맺히게 하려 함이니라
7:4 In the same way, my brothers, you were made dead to the law through the body of
Christ, so that you might be joined to another, even to him who came again from
the dead, so that we might give fruit to God.
7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, all of you also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that all of you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
7:5 우리가 육신에 있을 때에는 율법으로 말미암는 죄의 정욕이 우리 지체 중에
역사하여 우리로 사망을 위하여 열매를 맺게 하였더니
7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the evil passions which came into being through the
law were working in our bodies to give the fruit of death.
7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
7:6 이제는 우리가 얽매였던 것에 대하여 죽었으므로 율법에서 벗어났으니 이러므로
우리가 영의 새로운 것으로 섬길 것이요 의문의 묵은 것으로 아니할지니라
7:6 But now we are free from the law, having been made dead to that which had power
over us; so that we are servants in the new way of the spirit, not in the old way
of the letter.
7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, (o. pneuma) and not in the oldness of the letter.
7:7 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 율법이 죄냐 그럴 수 없느니라 율법으로 말미암지
않고는 내가 죄를 알지 못하였니 곧 율법이 탐내지 말라 하지 아니하였더면 내가
탐심을 알지 못하였으리라
7:7 What then is to be said? is the law sin? in no way. But I would not have had knowledge
of sin but for the law: for I would not have been conscious of desire if the law
had not said, You may not have a desire for what is another's.
7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shall not covet.
7:8 그러나 죄가 기회를 타서 계명으로 말미암아 내 속에서 각양 탐심을 이루었나니
이는 법이 없으면 죄가 죽은 것임이니라
7:8 But sin, taking its chance through that which was ordered by the law, was working
in me every form of desire: because without the law sin is dead.
7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
7:9 전에 법을 깨닫지 못할 때에는 내가 살았더니 계명이 이르매 죄는 살아나고
나는 죽었도다
7:9 And there was a time when I was living without the law: but when the law gave its
orders, sin came to life and put me to death;
7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
7:10 생명에 이르게 할 그 계명이 내게 대하여 도리어 사망에 이르게 하는 것이
되었도다
7:10 And I made the discovery that the law whose purpose was to give life had become
a cause of death:
7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
7:11 죄가 기회를 타서 계명으로 말미암아 나를 속이고 그것으로 나를 죽였는지라
7:11 For I was tricked and put to death by sin, which took its chance through the law.
7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
7:12 이로 보건대 율법도 거룩하며 계명도 거룩하며 의로우며 선하도다
7:12 But the law is holy, and its orders are holy, upright, and good.
7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
7:13 그런즉 선한 것이 내게 사망이 되었느뇨 그럴 수 없느니라 오직 죄가 죄로
드러나기 위하여 선한 그것으로 말미암아 나를 죽게 만들었으니 이는 계명으로 말미암아
죄로 심히 죄 되게 하려 함이니라
7:13 Was then that which is good, death to me? In no way. But the purpose was that sin
might be seen to be sin by working death to me through that which is good; so that
through the orders of the law sin might seem much more evil.
7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
7:14 우리가 율법은 신령한 줄 알거니와 나는 육신에 속하여 죄 아래 팔렸도다
7:14 For we are conscious that the law is of the spirit; but I am of the flesh, given
into the power of sin.
7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
7:15 나의 행하는 것을 내가 알지 못하노니 곧 원하는 이것은 행하지 아니하고
도리어 미워하는 그것을 함이라
7:15 And I have no clear knowledge of what I am doing, for that which I have a mind to
do, I do not, but what I have hate for, that I do.
7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
7:16 만일 내가 원치 아니하는 그것을 하면 내가 이로 율법의 선한 것을 시인하노니
7:16 But, if I do that which I have no mind to do, I am in agreement with the law that
the law is good.
7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
7:17 이제는 이것을 행하는 자가 내가 아니요 내 속에 거하는 죄니라
7:17 So it is no longer I who do it, but the sin living in me.
7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.
7:18 내 속 곧 내 육신에 선한 것이 거하지 아니하는 줄을 아노니 원함은 내게
있으나 선을 행하는 것은 없노라
7:18 For I am conscious that in me, that is, in my flesh, there is nothing good: I have
the mind but not the power to do what is right.
7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: in order to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
7:19 내가 원하는 바 선은 하지 아니하고 도리어 원치 아니하는 바 악은 행하는도다
7:19 For the good which I have a mind to do, I do not: but the evil which I have no mind
to do, that I do.
7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
7:20 만일 내가 원치 아니하는 그것을 하면 이를 행하는 자가 내가 아니요 내
속에 거하는 죄니라
7:20 But if I do what I have no mind to do, it is no longer I who do it, but the sin
living in me.
7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.
7:21 그러므로 내가 한 법을 깨달았노니 곧 선을 행하기 원하는 나에게 악이 함께
있는 것이로다
7:21 So I see a law that, though I have a mind to do good, evil is present in me.
7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
7:22 내 속 사람으로는 하나님의 법을 즐거워하되
7:22 In my heart I take pleasure in the law of God,
7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
7:23 내 지체 속에서 한 다른 법이 내 마음의 법과 싸워 내 지체 속에 있는 죄의
법 아래로 나를 사로잡아 오는 것을 보는도다
7:23 But I see another law in my body, working against the law of my mind, and making
me the servant of the law of sin which is in my flesh.
7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
7:24 오호라 나는 곤고한 사람이로다 이 사망의 몸에서 누가 나를 건져내랴
7:24 How unhappy am I! who will make me free from the body of this death?
7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
7:25 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하리로다 그런즉 내 자신이
마음으로는 하나님의 법을 육신으로는 죄의 법을 섬기노라
7:25 I give praise to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So with my mind I am a servant
to the law of God, but with my flesh to the law of sin.
7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
8:1 그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니
8:1 For this cause those who are in Christ Jesus will not be judged as sinners.
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (o. pneuma)
8:2 이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 너를
해방하였음이라
8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law
of sin and death.
8:2 For the law of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
8:3 율법이 육신으로 말미암아 연약하여 할 수 없는 그것을 하나님은 하시나니
곧 죄를 인하여 자기 아들을 죄 있는 육신의 모양으로 보내어 육신에 죄를 정하사
8:3 For what the law was not able to do because it was feeble through the flesh, God,
sending his Son in the image of the evil flesh, and as an offering for sin, gave
his decision against sin in the flesh:
8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
8:4 육신을 좇지 않고 그 영을 좇아 행하는 우리에게 율법의 요구를 이루어지게
하려 하심이니라
8:4 So that what was ordered by the law might be done in us, who are living, not in
the way of the flesh, but in the way of the Spirit.
8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (o. pneuma)
8:5 육신을 좇는 자는 육신의 일을 영을 좇는 자는 영의 일을 생각하나니
8:5 For those who are living in the way of the flesh give their minds to the things
of the flesh, but those who go in the way of the Spirit, to the things of the Spirit.
8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit (o. pneuma) the things of the Spirit. (o. pneuma)
8:6 육신의 생각은 사망이요 영의 생각은 생명과 평안이니라
8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
8:6 In order to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually (o. pneuma) minded is life and peace.
8:7 육신의 생각은 하나님과 원수가 되나니 이는 하나님의 법에 굴복치 아니할
뿐 아니라 할 수도 없음이라
8:7 Because the mind of the flesh is opposite to God; it is not under the law of God,
and is not able to be:
8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8:8 육신에 있는 자들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없느니라
8:8 So that those who are in the flesh are not able to give pleasure to God.
8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
8:9 만일 너희 속에 하나님의 영이 거하시면 너희가 육신에 있지 아니하고 영에
있나니 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그리스도의 사람이 아니라
8:9 You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God is in you. But
if any man has not the Spirit of Christ he is not one of his.
8:9 But all of you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, (o. pneuma) if so be that the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit (o. pneuma) of Christ, he is none of his.
8:10 또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 인하여 죽은 것이나 영은 의를
인하여 산 것이니라
8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.
8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit (o. pneuma) is life because of righteousness.
8:11 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도
예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아
너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라
8:11 But if the Spirit of him who made Jesus come again from the dead is in you, he who
made Christ Jesus come again from the dead will in the same way, through his Spirit
which is in you, give life to your bodies which now are under the power of death.
8:11 But if the Spirit (o. pneuma) of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also retore life in your mortal bodies by his Spirit (o. pneuma) that dwells in you.
8:12 ○ 그러므로 형제들아 우리가 빚진 자로되 육신에게 져서 육신대로 살 것이
아니니라
8:12 So then, my brothers, we are in debt, not to the flesh to be living in the way of
the flesh:
8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
8:13 너희가 육신대로 살면 반드시 죽을 것이로되 영으로써 몸의 행실을 죽이면
살리니
8:13 For if you go in the way of the flesh, death will come on you; but if by the Spirit
you put to death the works of the body, you will have life.
8:13 For if all of you live after the flesh, all of you shall die: but if all of you through the Spirit (o. pneuma) do mortify the deeds of the body, all of you shall live.
8:14 무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 그들은 곧 하나님의 아들이라
8:14 And all those who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God, they are the sons of God.
8:15 너희는 다시 무서워하는 종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자의 영을 받았으므로
아바 아버지라 부르짖느니라
8:15 For you did not get the spirit of servants again to put you in fear, but the spirit
of sons was given to you, by which we say, Abba, Father.
8:15 For all of you have not received the spirit (o. pneuma) of bondage again to fear; but all of you have received the Spirit (o. pneuma) of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
8:16 성령이 친히 우리 영으로 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증거하시나니
8:16 The Spirit is witness with our spirit that we are children of God:
8:16 The Spirit (o. pneuma) itself bears witness with our spirit, (o. pneuma) that we are the children of God:
8:17 자녀이면 또한 후사 곧 하나님의 후사요 그리스도와 함께 한 후사니 우리가
그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 될 것이니라
8:17 And if we are children, we have a right to a part in the heritage; a part in the
things of God, together with Christ; so that if we have a part in his pain, we will
in the same way have a part in his glory.
8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
8:18 ○ 생각건대 현재의 고난은 장차 우리에게 나타날 영광과 족히 비교할 수
없도다
8:18 I am of the opinion that there is no comparison between the pain of this present
time and the glory which we will see in the future.
8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
8:19 피조물의 고대 하는 바는 하나님의 아들들의 나타나는 것이니
8:19 For the strong desire of every living thing is waiting for the revelation of the
sons of God.
8:19 For the earn expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.
8:20 피조물이 허무한데 굴복하는 것은 자기 뜻이 아니요 오직 굴복케 하시는
이로 말미암음이라
8:20 For every living thing was put under the power of change, not by its desire, but
by him who made it so, in hope
8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope,
8:21 그 바라는 것은 피조물도 썩어짐의 종 노릇 한 데서 해방되어 하나님의 자녀들의
영광의 자유에 이르는 것이니라
8:21 That all living things will be made free from the power of death and will have a
part with the free children of God in glory.
8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
8:22 피조물이 다 이제까지 함께 탄식하며 함께 고통하는 것을 우리가 아나니
8:22 For we are conscious that all living things are weeping and sorrowing in pain together
till now.
8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors in pain together until now.
8:23 이뿐 아니라 또한 우리 곧 성령의 처음 익은 열매를 받은 우리까지도 속으로
탄식하여 양자 될 것 곧 우리 몸의 구속을 기다리느니라
8:23 And not only so, but we who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we have sorrow
in our minds, waiting for the time when we will take our place as sons, that is,
the salvation of our bodies.
8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to know, the redemption of our body.
8:24 우리가 소망으로 구원을 얻었으매 보이는 소망이 소망이 아니니 보는 것을
누가 바라리요
8:24 For our salvation is by hope: but hope which is seen is not hope: for who is hoping
for what he sees?
8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?
8:25 만일 우리가 보지 못하는 것을 바라면 참음으로 기다릴지니라
8:25 But if we have hope for that which we see not, then we will be able to go on waiting
for it.
8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
8:26 ○ 이와 같이 성령도 우리 연약함을 도우시나니 우리가 마땅히 빌 바를 알지
못하나 오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라
8:26 And in the same way the Spirit is a help to our feeble hearts: for we are not able
to make prayer to God in the right way; but the Spirit puts our desires into words
which are not in our power to say;
8:26 Likewise the Spirit (o. pneuma) also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit (o. pneuma) itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 마음을 감찰하시는 이가 성령의 생각을 아시나니 이는 성령이 하나님의 뜻대로
성도를 위하여 간구하심이니라
8:27 And he who is the searcher of hearts has knowledge of the mind of the Spirit, because
he is making prayers for the saints in agreement with the mind of God.
8:27 And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28 우리가 알거니와 하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는
모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라
8:28 And we are conscious that all things are working together for good to those who
have love for God, and have been marked out by his purpose.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
8:29 하나님이 미리 아신 자들로 또한 그 아들의 형상을 본받게 하기 위하여 미리
정하셨으니 이는 그로 많은 형제 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하려 하심이니라
8:29 Because those of whom he had knowledge before they came into existence, were marked
out by him to be made like his Son, so that he might be the first among a band of
brothers:
8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
8:30 또 미리 정하신 그들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 그들을 또한 의롭다 하시고
의롭다 하신 그들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라
8:30 And those who were marked out by him were named; and those who were named were given
righteousness; and to those to whom he gave righteousness, in the same way he gave
glory.
8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
8:31 ○ 그런즉 이 일에 대하여 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 만일 하나님이 우리를
위하시면 누가 우리를 대적하리요
8:31 What may we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
8:32 자기 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람을 위하여 내어주신 이가
어찌 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리에게 은사로 주지 아니하시겠느뇨
8:32 He who did not keep back his only Son, but gave him up for us all, will he not with
him freely give us all things?
8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
8:33 누가 능히 하나님의 택하신 자들을 송사하리요 의롭다 하신 이는 하나님이시니
8:33 Who will say anything against the saints of God? It is God who makes us clear from
evil;
8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.
8:34 누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니
그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라
8:34 Who will give a decision against us? It is Christ Jesus who not only was put to
death, but came again from the dead, who is now at the right hand of God, taking
our part.
8:34 Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that has risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
8:35 누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊으리요 환난이나 곤고나 핍박이나 기근이나
적신이나 위험이나 칼이랴
8:35 Who will come between us and the love of Christ? Will trouble, or pain, or cruel
acts, or the need of food or of clothing, or danger, or the sword?
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love (o. agape) of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 기록된 바 우리가 종일 주를 위하여 죽임을 당케 되며 도살할 양 같이
여김을 받았나이다 함과 같으니라
8:36 As it is said in the holy Writings, Because of you we are put to death every day;
we are like sheep ready for destruction.
8:36 As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
8:37 그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라
8:37 But we are able to overcome all these things and more through his love.
8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
8:38 내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나
장래 일이나 능력이나
8:38 For I am certain that not death, or life, or angels, or rulers, or things present,
or things to come, or powers,
8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
8:39 높음이나 깊음이나 다른 아무 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수
안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라
8:39 Or things on high, or things under the earth, or anything which is made, will be
able to come between us and the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love (o. agape) of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
