1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, an Apostle by the selection of God, given authority as a preacher of the good news,
1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

1:2 Of which God had given word before by his prophets in the holy Writings,
1:2 (Which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

1:3 About his Son who, in the flesh, came from the family of David,
1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

1:4 But was marked out as Son of God in power by the Holy Spirit through the coming to life again of the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord,
1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit (o. pneuma) of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

1:5 Through whom grace has been given to us, sending us out to make disciples to the faith among all nations, for his name:

1:7 To all those who are in Rome, loved by God, marked out as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:8 First of all, I give praise to my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because news of your faith has gone into all the world.
1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

1:9 For God is my witness, whose servant I am in spirit in the good news of his Son, that you are at all times in my memory and in my prayers,
1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit (o. pneuma) in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

1:10 And that I am ever making prayers that God will give me a good journey to you.
1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

1:11 For I have a strong desire to see you, and to give you some grace of the spirit, so that you may be made strong;
1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end all of you may be established;

1:12 That is to say, that all of us may be comforted together by the faith which is in you and in me.
1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

1:13 You may be certain, my brothers, that it has frequently been in my mind to come to you (but till now I was kept from it), so that I might have some fruit from you in the same way as I have had it from the other nations.
1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let until now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

1:14 I have a debt to Greeks and to the nations outside; to the wise and to those who have no learning.
1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

1:15 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ³ª´Â ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â ´ë·Î ·Î¸¶¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ôµµ º¹À½ ÀüÇϱ⸦ ¿øÇϳë¶ó
1:15 For which reason I have the desire, as far as I am able, to give the knowledge of the good news to you who are in Rome.
1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

1:16 For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek.
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1:17 º¹À½¿¡´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀÇ°¡ ³ªÅ¸³ª¼­ ¹ÏÀ½À¸·Î ¹ÏÀ½¿¡ À̸£°Ô Çϳª´Ï ±â·ÏµÈ ¹Ù ¿ÀÁ÷ ÀÇÀÎÀº ¹ÏÀ½À¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ »ì¸®¶ó ÇÔ°ú °°À¸´Ï¶ó
1:17 For in it there is the revelation of the righteousness of God from faith to faith: as it is said in the holy Writings, The man who does righteousness will be living by his faith.
1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

1:18 ¡Û Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Áø³ë°¡ ºÒÀÇ·Î Áø¸®¸¦ ¸·´Â »ç¶÷µéÀÇ ¸ðµç °æ°ÇÄ¡ ¾ÊÀ½°ú ºÒÀÇ¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© Çϴ÷ΠÁÀ¾Æ ³ªÅ¸³ª³ª´Ï
1:18 For there is a revelation of the wrath of God from heaven against all the wrongdoing and evil thoughts of men who keep down what is true by wrongdoing;
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

1:19 ÀÌ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀ» ¾Ë ¸¸ÇÑ °ÍÀÌ ÀúÈñ ¼Ó¿¡ º¸ÀÓÀ̶ó Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ À̸¦ ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô º¸À̴̼À´Ï¶ó
1:19 Because the knowledge of God may be seen in them, God having made it clear to them.
1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it unto them.

1:20 â¼¼·ÎºÎÅÍ ±×ÀÇ º¸ÀÌÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Â °Íµé °ð ±×ÀÇ ¿µ¿øÇϽŠ´É·Â°ú ½Å¼ºÀÌ ±× ¸¸µå½Å ¸¸¹°¿¡ ºÐ¸íÈ÷ º¸¿© ¾Ë°Ô µÇ³ª´Ï ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ÀúÈñ°¡ ÇΰèÄ¡ ¸øÇÒÁö´Ï¶ó
1:20 For from the first making of the world, those things of God which the eye is unable to see, that is, his eternal power and existence, are fully made clear, he having given the knowledge of them through the things which he has made, so that men have no reason for wrongdoing:
1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

1:21 Çϳª´ÔÀ» ¾ËµÇ Çϳª´ÔÀ¸·Î ¿µÈ­·Ó°Ôµµ ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¸ç °¨»çÄ¡µµ ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ¿ÀÈ÷·Á ±× »ý°¢ÀÌ Çã¸ÁÇÏ¿©Áö¸ç ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ ¸¶À½ÀÌ ¾îµÎ¿öÁ³³ª´Ï
1:21 Because, having the knowledge of God, they did not give glory to God as God, and did not give praise, but their minds were full of foolish things, and their hearts, being without sense, were made dark.
1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

1:22 Seeming to be wise, they were in fact foolish,
1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

1:23 ½â¾îÁöÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¿µ±¤À» ½â¾îÁú »ç¶÷°ú ±Ý¼ö¿Í ¹ö·¯Áö Çü»óÀÇ ¿ì»óÀ¸·Î ¹Ù²Ù¾ú´À´Ï¶ó
1:23 And by them the glory of the eternal God was changed and made into the image of man who is not eternal, and of birds and beasts and things which go on the earth.
1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

1:24 ¡Û ±×·¯¹Ç·Î Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ ÀúÈñ¸¦ ¸¶À½ÀÇ Á¤¿å´ë·Î ´õ·¯¿ò¿¡ ³»¾î¹ö·Á µÎ»ç ÀúÈñ ¸öÀ» ¼­·Î ¿åµÇ°Ô ÇϼÌÀ¸´Ï
1:24 For this reason God gave them up to the evil desires of their hearts, working shame in their bodies with one another:
1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

1:25 ÀÌ´Â ÀúÈñ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Áø¸®¸¦ °ÅÁþ °ÍÀ¸·Î ¹Ù²Ù¾î ÇÇÁ¶¹°À» Á¶¹°ÁÖº¸´Ù ´õ °æ¹èÇÏ°í ¼¶±èÀ̶ó ÁÖ´Â °ð ¿µ¿øÈ÷ Âù¼ÛÇÒ À̽÷δ٠¾Æ¸à
1:25 Because by them the true word of God was changed into that which is false, and they gave worship and honour to the thing which is made, and not to him who made it, to whom be blessing for ever. So be it.
1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

1:26 For this reason God gave them up to evil passions, and their women were changing the natural use into one which is unnatural:
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

1:27 And in the same way the men gave up the natural use of the woman and were burning in their desire for one another, men doing shame with men, and getting in their bodies the right reward of their evil-doing.
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1:28 ¡Û ¶ÇÇÑ ÀúÈñ°¡ ¸¶À½¿¡ Çϳª´Ô µÎ±â¸¦ ½È¾îÇϸŠÇϳª´Ô²²¼­ ÀúÈñ¸¦ ±× »ó½ÇÇÑ ¸¶À½´ë·Î ³»¾î¹ö·Á µÎ»ç ÇÕ´çÄ¡ ¸øÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ°Ô ÇϼÌÀ¸´Ï
1:28 And because they had not the mind to keep God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an evil mind, to do those things which are not right;
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

1:29 Being full of all wrongdoing, evil, desire for the goods of others, hate, envy, putting to death, fighting, deceit, cruel ways, evil talk, and false statements about others;
1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, ill will; whisperers,

1:30 ºñ¹æÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¹Ì¿öÇϽô ÀÚ¿ä ´É¿åÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä ±³¸¸ÇÑ ÀÚ¿ä ÀÚ¶ûÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä ¾ÇÀ» µµ¸ðÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä ºÎ¸ð¸¦ °Å¿ªÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä
1:30 Hated by God, full of pride, without respect, full of loud talk, given to evil inventions, not honouring father or mother,
1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

1:31 ¿ì¸ÅÇÑ ÀÚ¿ä ¹è¾àÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿ä ¹«Á¤ÇÑ ÀÚ¿ä ¹«ÀÚºñÇÑ ÀÚ¶ó
1:31 Without knowledge, not true to their undertakings, unkind, having no mercy:
1:31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, refusing to reconcile, unmerciful:

1:32 ÀúÈñ°¡ ÀÌ°°Àº ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â »çÇü¿¡ ÇØ´çÇÏ´Ù°í Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Á¤ÇϽÉÀ» ¾Ë°íµµ ÀÚ±âµé¸¸ ÇàÇÒ »Ó ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¶ÇÇÑ ±× ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ¿Ç´Ù ÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó
1:32 Who, though they have knowledge of the law of God, that the fate of those who do these things is death, not only go on doing these things themselves, but give approval to those who do them.
1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

2:1 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ³²À» ÆÇ´ÜÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷¾Æ ¹«·Ð ´©±¸µçÁö ³×°¡ ÇΰèÄ¡ ¸øÇÒ °ÍÀº ³²À» ÆÇ´ÜÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î ³×°¡ ³Ê¸¦ Á¤ÁËÇÔÀÌ´Ï ÆÇ´ÜÇÏ´Â ³×°¡ °°Àº ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÔÀ̴϶ó
2:1 So you have no reason, whoever you are, for judging: for in judging another you are judging yourself, for you do the same things.
2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.

2:2 ÀÌ·± ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿¡°Ô Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÆÇ´ÜÀÌ Áø¸®´ë·Î µÇ´Â ÁÙ ¿ì¸®°¡ ¾Æ³ë¶ó
2:2 And we are conscious that God is a true judge against those who do such things.
2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

2:3 ÀÌ·± ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ÆÇ´ÜÇÏ°íµµ °°Àº ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷¾Æ ³×°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÆÇ´ÜÀ» ÇÇÇÒ ÁÙ·Î »ý°¢ÇÏ´À³Ä
2:3 But you who are judging another for doing what you do yourself, are you hoping that God's decision will not take effect against you?
2:3 And think you this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?

2:4 Ȥ ³×°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀÎÀÚÇϽÉÀÌ ³Ê¸¦ ÀεµÇÏ¿© ȸ°³ÄÉ ÇϽÉÀ» ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ¿© ±×ÀÇ ÀÎÀÚÇϽɰú ¿ë³³ÇϽɰú ±æÀÌ ÂüÀ¸½ÉÀÇ Ç³¼ºÇÔÀ» ¸ê½ÃÇÏ´À´¢
2:4 Or is it nothing to you that God had pity on you, waiting and putting up with you for so long, not seeing that in his pity God's desire is to give you a change of heart?
2:4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

2:5 ´Ù¸¸ ³× °íÁý°ú ȸ°³Ä¡ ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ ¸¶À½À» µû¶ó Áø³ëÀÇ ³¯ °ð Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀǷοì½Å ÆÇ´ÜÀÌ ³ªÅ¸³ª´Â ±× ³¯¿¡ ÀÓÇÒ Áø³ë¸¦ ³×°Ô ½×´Âµµ´Ù
2:5 But by your hard and unchanged heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of the revelation of God's judging in righteousness;
2:5 But after your hardness and refusing to repent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

2:6 Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ °¢ »ç¶÷¿¡°Ô ±× ÇàÇÑ ´ë·Î º¸ÀÀÇϽõÇ
2:6 Who will give to every man his right reward:
2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

2:7 To those who go on with good works in the hope of glory and honour and salvation from death, he will give eternal life:

2:12 All those who have done wrong without the law will get destruction without the law: and those who have done wrong under the law will have their punishment by the law;

2:24 For the name of God is shamed among the Gentiles because of you, as it is said in the holy Writings.

2:29 But he is a Jew who is a secret one, whose circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit and not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

3:1 How then is the Jew better off? or what profit is there in circumcision?
3:1 What advantage then has the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

3:2 ¹ü»ç¿¡ ¸¹À¸´Ï ù°´Â ÀúÈñ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¸»¾¸À» ¸Ã¾ÒÀ½À̴϶ó
3:2 Much in every way: first of all because the words of God were given to them.
3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

3:3 And if some have no faith, will that make the faith of God without effect?
3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

3:4 In no way: but let God be true, though every man is seen to be untrue; as it is said in the Writings, That your words may be seen to be true, and you may be seen to be right when you are judged.
3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, (o. logos) and might overcome when you are judged.

3:5 But if the righteousness of God is supported by our wrongdoing what is to be said? is it wrong for God to be angry (as men may say)?
3:5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man)

3:7 But if, because I am untrue, God being seen to be true gets more glory, why am I to be judged as a sinner?
3:7 For if the truth of God has more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

3:8 Let us not do evil so that good may come (a statement which we are falsely said by some to have made), because such behaviour will have its right punishment.
3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

3:9 What then? are we worse off than they? In no way: because we have before made it clear that Jews as well as Greeks are all under the power of sin;
3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

3:11 Not one who has the knowledge of what is right, not one who is a searcher after God;

3:12 They have all gone out of the way, there is no profit in any of them; there is not one who does good, not so much as one:

3:19 Now, we have knowledge that what the law says is for those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all men may be judged by God:

3:25 Whom God has put forward as the sign of his mercy, through faith, by his blood, to make clear his righteousness when, in his pity, God let the sins of earlier times go without punishment;

4:11 And he was given the sign of circumcision as a witness of the faith which he had before he underwent circumcision: so that he might be the father of all those who have faith, though they have not circumcision, and so that righteousness might be put to their account;
4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

4:12 And the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who keep to the way of that faith which our father Abraham had before he underwent circumcision.

4:16 For this reason it is of faith, so that it may be through grace; and so that the word of God may be certain to all the seed; not only to that which is of the law, but to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

4:17 (As it is said in the holy Writings, I have made you a father of a number of nations) before him in whom he had faith, that is, God, who gives life to the dead, and to whom the things which are not are as if they were.

5:1 For which reason, because we have righteousness through faith, let us be at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

5:15 But the free giving of God is not like the wrongdoing of man. For if, by the wrongdoing of one man death came to numbers of men, much more did the grace of God, and the free giving by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, come to men.
5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many.

5:16 And the free giving has not the same effect as the sin of one: for the effect of one man's sin was punishment by the decision of God, but the free giving had power to give righteousness to wrongdoers in great number.
5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

6:1 What may we say, then? are we to go on in sin so that there may be more grace?

6:4 We have been placed with him among the dead through baptism into death: so that as Christ came again from the dead by the glory of the Father, we, in the same way, might be living in new life.
6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

6:6 Being conscious that our old man was put to death on the cross with him, so that the body of sin might be put away, and we might no longer be servants to sin.
6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

6:13 Neither yield all of you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

6:16 Are you not conscious that you are the servants of him to whom you give yourselves to do his desire? if to sin, the end being death, or if to do the desire of God, the end being righteousness.
6:16 Know all of you not, that to whom all of you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants all of you are to whom all of you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

6:19 I am using words in the way of men, because your flesh is feeble: as you gave your bodies as servants to what is unclean, and to evil to do evil, so now give them as servants to righteousness to do what is holy.
6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as all of you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

7:2 For the woman who has a husband is placed by the law under the power of her husband as long as he is living; but if her husband is dead, she is free from the law of the husband.
7:2 For the woman which has an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

7:3 So if, while the husband is living, she is joined to another man, she will get the name of one who is untrue to her husband: but if the husband is dead, she is free from the law, so that she is not untrue, even if she takes another man.
7:3 So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

7:4 In the same way, my brothers, you were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, even to him who came again from the dead, so that we might give fruit to God.
7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, all of you also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that all of you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the evil passions which came into being through the law were working in our bodies to give the fruit of death.
7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

7:6 But now we are free from the law, having been made dead to that which had power over us; so that we are servants in the new way of the spirit, not in the old way of the letter.
7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, (o. pneuma) and not in the oldness of the letter.

7:7 What then is to be said? is the law sin? in no way. But I would not have had knowledge of sin but for the law: for I would not have been conscious of desire if the law had not said, You may not have a desire for what is another's.
7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shall not covet.

7:13 Was then that which is good, death to me? In no way. But the purpose was that sin might be seen to be sin by working death to me through that which is good; so that through the orders of the law sin might seem much more evil.
7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

8:3 For what the law was not able to do because it was feeble through the flesh, God, sending his Son in the image of the evil flesh, and as an offering for sin, gave his decision against sin in the flesh:
8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

8:9 You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God is in you. But if any man has not the Spirit of Christ he is not one of his.
8:9 But all of you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, (o. pneuma) if so be that the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit (o. pneuma) of Christ, he is none of his.

8:11 But if the Spirit of him who made Jesus come again from the dead is in you, he who made Christ Jesus come again from the dead will in the same way, through his Spirit which is in you, give life to your bodies which now are under the power of death.
8:11 But if the Spirit (o. pneuma) of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also retore life in your mortal bodies by his Spirit (o. pneuma) that dwells in you.

8:17 And if we are children, we have a right to a part in the heritage; a part in the things of God, together with Christ; so that if we have a part in his pain, we will in the same way have a part in his glory.
8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

8:18 ¡Û »ý°¢°Ç´ë ÇöÀçÀÇ °í³­Àº ÀåÂ÷ ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô ³ªÅ¸³¯ ¿µ±¤°ú Á·È÷ ºñ±³ÇÒ ¼ö ¾øµµ´Ù
8:18 I am of the opinion that there is no comparison between the pain of this present time and the glory which we will see in the future.
8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

8:19 For the strong desire of every living thing is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God.
8:19 For the earn expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

8:20 ÇÇÁ¶¹°ÀÌ Ç㹫Çѵ¥ ±¼º¹ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀº Àڱ⠶æÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¿ä ¿ÀÁ÷ ±¼º¹ÄÉ ÇϽô ÀÌ·Î ¸»¹Ì¾ÏÀ½À̶ó
8:20 For every living thing was put under the power of change, not by its desire, but by him who made it so, in hope
8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope,

8:21 ±× ¹Ù¶ó´Â °ÍÀº ÇÇÁ¶¹°µµ ½â¾îÁüÀÇ Á¾ ³ë¸© ÇÑ µ¥¼­ ÇعæµÇ¾î Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀÚ³àµéÀÇ ¿µ±¤ÀÇ ÀÚÀ¯¿¡ À̸£´Â °ÍÀ̴϶ó
8:21 That all living things will be made free from the power of death and will have a part with the free children of God in glory.
8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

8:22 ÇÇÁ¶¹°ÀÌ ´Ù ÀÌÁ¦±îÁö ÇÔ²² ź½ÄÇϸç ÇÔ²² °íÅëÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¿ì¸®°¡ ¾Æ³ª´Ï
8:22 For we are conscious that all living things are weeping and sorrowing in pain together till now.
8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors in pain together until now.

8:23 ÀÌ»Ó ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¶ÇÇÑ ¿ì¸® °ð ¼º·ÉÀÇ Ã³À½ ÀÍÀº ¿­¸Å¸¦ ¹ÞÀº ¿ì¸®±îÁöµµ ¼ÓÀ¸·Î ź½ÄÇÏ¿© ¾çÀÚ µÉ °Í °ð ¿ì¸® ¸öÀÇ ±¸¼ÓÀ» ±â´Ù¸®´À´Ï¶ó
8:23 And not only so, but we who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we have sorrow in our minds, waiting for the time when we will take our place as sons, that is, the salvation of our bodies.
8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to know, the redemption of our body.

8:24 ¿ì¸®°¡ ¼Ò¸ÁÀ¸·Î ±¸¿øÀ» ¾ò¾úÀ¸¸Å º¸ÀÌ´Â ¼Ò¸ÁÀÌ ¼Ò¸ÁÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï´Ï º¸´Â °ÍÀ» ´©°¡ ¹Ù¶ó¸®¿ä
8:24 For our salvation is by hope: but hope which is seen is not hope: for who is hoping for what he sees?
8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?

8:25 ¸¸ÀÏ ¿ì¸®°¡ º¸Áö ¸øÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¹Ù¶ó¸é ÂüÀ½À¸·Î ±â´Ù¸±Áö´Ï¶ó
8:25 But if we have hope for that which we see not, then we will be able to go on waiting for it.
8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

8:26 And in the same way the Spirit is a help to our feeble hearts: for we are not able to make prayer to God in the right way; but the Spirit puts our desires into words which are not in our power to say;
8:26 Likewise the Spirit (o. pneuma) also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit (o. pneuma) itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

8:27 And he who is the searcher of hearts has knowledge of the mind of the Spirit, because he is making prayers for the saints in agreement with the mind of God.
8:27 And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

8:28 And we are conscious that all things are working together for good to those who have love for God, and have been marked out by his purpose.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

8:29 Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¹Ì¸® ¾Æ½Å ÀÚµé·Î ¶ÇÇÑ ±× ¾ÆµéÀÇ Çü»óÀ» º»¹Þ°Ô Çϱâ À§ÇÏ¿© ¹Ì¸® Á¤ÇϼÌÀ¸´Ï ÀÌ´Â ±×·Î ¸¹Àº ÇüÁ¦ Áß¿¡¼­ ¸º¾ÆµéÀÌ µÇ°Ô ÇÏ·Á ÇϽÉÀ̴϶ó
8:29 Because those of whom he had knowledge before they came into existence, were marked out by him to be made like his Son, so that he might be the first among a band of brothers:
8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

8:30 And those who were marked out by him were named; and those who were named were given righteousness; and to those to whom he gave righteousness, in the same way he gave glory.
8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

8:31 What may we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

8:32 He who did not keep back his only Son, but gave him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?
8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

8:33 ´©°¡ ´ÉÈ÷ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÅÃÇϽŠÀÚµéÀ» ¼Û»çÇϸ®¿ä ÀÇ·Ó´Ù ÇϽŠÀÌ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀ̽ôÏ
8:33 Who will say anything against the saints of God? It is God who makes us clear from evil;
8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.

8:34 Who will give a decision against us? It is Christ Jesus who not only was put to death, but came again from the dead, who is now at the right hand of God, taking our part.
8:34 Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that has risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

8:35 Who will come between us and the love of Christ? Will trouble, or pain, or cruel acts, or the need of food or of clothing, or danger, or the sword?
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love (o. agape) of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

8:36 As it is said in the holy Writings, Because of you we are put to death every day; we are like sheep ready for destruction.
8:36 As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

8:37 ±×·¯³ª ÀÌ ¸ðµç ÀÏ¿¡ ¿ì¸®¸¦ »ç¶ûÇϽô ÀÌ·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ ¿ì¸®°¡ ³Ë³ËÈ÷ À̱â´À´Ï¶ó
8:37 But we are able to overcome all these things and more through his love.
8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

8:38 For I am certain that not death, or life, or angels, or rulers, or things present, or things to come, or powers,
8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

8:39 ³ôÀ½À̳ª ±íÀ½À̳ª ´Ù¸¥ ¾Æ¹« ÇÇÁ¶¹°ÀÌ¶óµµ ¿ì¸®¸¦ ¿ì¸® ÁÖ ±×¸®½ºµµ ¿¹¼ö ¾È¿¡ ÀÖ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ »ç¶û¿¡¼­ ²÷À» ¼ö ¾øÀ¸¸®¶ó
8:39 Or things on high, or things under the earth, or anything which is made, will be able to come between us and the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love (o. agape) of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
