10:1 가이사랴에 고넬료라 하는 사람이 있으니 이달리야 대라 하는 군대의 백부장이라
10:1 Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, the captain of the Italian
band of the army;
10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of
the band called the Italian band,
10:2 그가 경건하여 온 집으로 더불어 하나님을 경외하며 백성을 많이 구제하고
하나님께 항상 기도하더니
10:2 A serious-minded man, fearing God with all his family; he gave much money to the
poor, and made prayer to God at all times.
10:2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave
much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.
10:3 하루는 제 구 시쯤 되어 환상 중에 밝히 보매 하나님의 사자가 들어와 가로되
고넬료야 하니
10:3 He saw in a vision, clearly, at about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of the
Lord coming to him and saying to him, Cornelius!
10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel
of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
10:4 고넬료가 주목하여 보고 두려워 가로되 주여 무슨 일이니이까 천사가 가로되
네 기도와 구제가 하나님 앞에 상달하여 기억하신 바가 되었으니
10:4 And he, looking on him in fear, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Your
prayers and your offerings have come up to God, and he has kept them in mind.
10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?
And he said unto him, Your prayers and yours alms are come up for a memorial
before God.
10:5 네가 지금 사람들을 욥바에 보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라
10:5 Now send men to Joppa, and get one Simon, named Peter,
10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is
Peter:
10:6 저는 피장 시몬의 집에 우거하니 그 집은 해변에 있느니라 하더라
10:6 Who is living with Simon, a leather-worker, whose house is by the sea.
10:6 He lodges with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he
shall tell you what you ought to do.
10:7 마침 말하던 천사가 떠나매 고넬료가 집안 하인 둘과 종졸 가운데 경건한
사람 하나를 불러
10:7 And when the angel who said these words to him had gone away, he sent for two of
his house-servants, and a God-fearing man of the army, one of those who were waiting
on him at all times;
10:7 And when the angel which spoke unto Cornelius was departed, he called
two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him
continually;
10:8 이 일을 다 고하고 욥바로 보내니라
10:8 And having given them an account of everything, he sent them to Joppa.
10:8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to
Joppa.
10:9 ○ 이튿날 저희가 행하여 성에 가까이 갔을 그 때에 베드로가 기도하려고
지붕에 올라가니 시간은 제 육 시더라
10:9 Now the day after, when they were on their journey and were near the town, Peter
went up to the top of the house for prayer, about the sixth hour:
10:9 On the next day, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the
city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10:10 시장하여 먹고자 하매 사람이 준비할 때에 비몽사몽간에
10:10 And he was in need of food: but while they were getting it ready, a deep sleep came
on him;
10:10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made
ready, he fell into a trance,
10:11 하늘이 열리며 한 그릇이 내려오는 것을 보니 큰 보자기 같고 네 귀를 매어
땅에 드리웠더라
10:11 And he saw the heavens opening, and a vessel coming down, like a great cloth let
down on the earth,
10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as
it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
10:12 그 안에는 땅에 있는 각색 네 발 가진 짐승과 기는 것과 공중에 나는 것들이
있는데
10:12 In which were all sorts of beasts and birds.
10:12 Wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild
beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
10:13 또 소리가 있으되 베드로야 일어나 잡아 먹으라 하거늘
10:13 And a voice came to him, saying, Come, Peter; take them for food.
10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
10:14 베드로가 가로되 주여 그럴 수 없나이다 속되고 깨끗지 아니한 물건을 내가
언제든지 먹지 아니하였삽나이다 한 대
10:14 But Peter said, No, Lord; for I have never taken food which is common or unclean.
10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that
is common or unclean.
10:15 또 두 번째 소리 있으되 하나님께서 깨끗케 하신 것을 네가 속되다 하지
말라 하더라
10:15 And the voice came to him a second time, What God has made clean, do not you make
common.
10:15 And the voice spoke unto him again the second time, What God has cleansed,
that call not you common.
10:16 이런 일이 세 번 있은 후 그 그릇이 곧 하늘로 올리워 가니라
10:16 And this was done three times: and then the vessel was taken back into heaven.
10:16 This was done three times: and the vessel was received up again into
heaven.
10:17 ○ 베드로가 본 바 환상이 무슨 뜻인지 속으로 의심하더니 마침 고넬료의
보낸 사람들이 시몬의 집을 찾아 문 밖에 서서
10:17 Now while Peter was in doubt as to the purpose of this vision, the men who were
sent by Cornelius, having made search for Simon's house, came to the door,
10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen
should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry
for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
10:18 불러 묻되 베드로라 하는 시몬이 여기 우거하느냐 하거늘
10:18 To see if Simon, named Peter, was living there.
10:18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were
lodged there.
10:19 베드로가 그 환상에 대하여 생각할 때에 성령께서 저더러 말씀하시되 두
사람이 너를 찾으니
10:19 And, while Peter was turning the vision over in his mind, the Spirit said to him,
See, three men are looking for you.
10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit (o. pneuma) said unto
him, Behold, three men seek you.
10:20 일어나 내려가 의심치 말고 함께 가라 내가 저희를 보내었느니라 하시니
10:20 Go down, then, and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them.
10:20 Arise therefore, and get you down, and go with them, doubting nothing:
for I have sent them.
10:21 베드로가 내려가 그 사람들을 보고 가로되 내가 곧 너희의 찾는 사람이니
너희가 무슨 일로 왔느냐
10:21 And Peter went down to the men, and said, I am the man you are looking for: why
have you come?
10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius;
and said, Behold, I am he whom all of you seek: what is the cause wherefore
all of you are come?
10:22 저희가 대답하되 백부장 고넬료는 의인이요 하나님을 경외하는 자라 유대
온 족속이 칭찬하더니 저가 거룩한 천사의 지시를 받아 너를 그 집으로 청하여 말을
들으려 하느니라 한 대
10:22 And they said, Cornelius, a captain, an upright and God-fearing man, respected by
all the nation of the Jews, had word from God by an angel to send for you to his
house, and to give hearing to your words.
10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that fears
God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God
by an holy angel to send for you into his house, and to hear words (o. rhema)
of you.
10:23 베드로가 불러 들여 유숙하게 하니라 ○ 이튿날 일어나 저희와 함께 갈새
욥바 두어 형제도 함께 가니라
10:23 So he took them in for the night. And the day after, he went with them, taking some
of the brothers from Joppa with him.
10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the next day Peter
went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
10:24 이튿날 가이사랴에 들어가니 고넬료가 일가와 가까운 친구들을 모아 기다리더니
10:24 And the day after that, they came to Caesarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them,
having got together his relations and his near friends.
10:24 And the next day after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited
for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
10:25 마침 베드로가 들어올 때에 고넬료가 맞아 발 앞에 엎드리어 절하니
10:25 And when Peter came in, Cornelius came to him and, falling down at his feet, gave
him worship.
10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his
feet, and worshipped him.
10:26 베드로가 일으켜 가로되 일어서라 나도 사람이라 하고
10:26 But Peter, lifting him up, said, Get up, for I am a man as you are.
10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
10:27 더불어 말하며 들어가 여러 사람의 모인 것을 보고
10:27 And saying these words, he went in, and saw that a great number of people had come
together;
10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come
together.
10:28 이르되 유대인으로서 이방인을 교제하는 것과 가까이 하는 것이 위법인
줄은 너희도 알거니와 하나님께서 내게 지시하사 아무도 속되다 하거나 깨끗지 않다
하지 말라 하시기로
10:28 And he said to them, You yourselves have knowledge that it is against the law for
a man who is a Jew to be in the company of one who is of another nation; but God
has made it clear to me that no man may be named common or unclean:
10:28 And he said unto them, All of you know how that it is an unlawful thing
for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation;
but God has showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
10:29 부름을 사양치 아니하고 왔노라 묻노니 무슨 일로 나를 불렀느뇨
10:29 And so I came without question, when I was sent for. What then is your purpose in
sending for me?
10:29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent
for: I ask therefore for what intent (o. logos) all of you have sent for me?
10:30 고넬료가 가로되 나흘 전 이맘때까지 내 집에서 제 구 시 기도를 하는데
홀연히 한 사람이 빛난 옷을 입고 내 앞에 서서
10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days from now I was in my house in prayer at the ninth
hour; and I saw before me a man in shining clothing,
10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and
at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in
bright clothing,
10:31 말하되 고넬료야 하나님이 네 기도를 들으시고 네 구제를 기억하셨으니
10:31 Who said, Cornelius, your prayer has come to the ears of God, and your offerings
are kept in his memory.
10:31 And said, Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and yours alms are had in
remembrance in the sight of God.
10:32 사람을 욥바에 보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라 저가 바닷가 피장 시몬의
집에 우거하느니라 하시기로
10:32 Send, then, to Joppa, and get Simon, named Peter, to come to you; he is living in
the house of Simon, a leather-worker, by the sea.
10:32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call here Simon, whose surname is Peter;
he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he
comes, shall speak unto you.
10:33 내가 곧 당신에게 사람을 보내었더니 오셨으니 잘하였나이다 이제 우리는
주께서 당신에게 명하신 모든 것을 듣고자 하여 다 하나님 앞에 있나이다
10:33 So, straight away, I sent for you; and you have done well to come. And now, we are
all present before God, ready to give attention to all the things which the Lord
has given you to say.
10:33 Immediately therefore I sent to you; and you have well done that you
are come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things
that are commanded you of God.
10:34 베드로가 입을 열어 가로되 내가 참으로 하나님은 사람의 외모를 취하지
아니하시고
10:34 Then Peter said, Truly, I see clearly that God is no respecter of persons:
10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Truthfully I perceive that God
is no respecter of persons:
10:35 각 나라 중 하나님을 경외하며 의를 행하는 사람은 하나님이 받으시는 줄
깨달았도다
10:35 But in every nation, the man who has fear of him and does righteousness is pleasing
to him.
10:35 But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is
accepted with him.
10:36 만유의 주 되신 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 화평의 복음을 전하사 이스라엘
자손들에게 보내신 말씀
10:36 The word which he sent to the children of Israel, giving the good news of peace
through Jesus Christ (who is Lord of all)--
10:36 The word (o. logos) which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching
peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
10:37 곧 요한이 그 세례를 반포한 후에 갈릴리에서 시작되어 온 유대에 두루
전파된 그것을 너희도 알거니와
10:37 That word you yourselves have knowledge of, which was made public through all Judaea,
starting from Galilee, after the baptism of which John was the preacher,
10:37 That word, (o. rhema) I say, all of you know, which was published throughout
all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
10:38 하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매 저가 두루
다니시며 착한 일을 행하시고 마귀에게 눌린 모든 자를 고치셨으니 이는 하나님이
함께 하셨음이라
10:38 About Jesus of Nazareth, how God gave the Holy Spirit to him, with power: and how
he went about doing good and making well all who were troubled by evil spirits,
for God was with him.
10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma)
and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed
of the devil; for God was with him.
10:39 우리는 유대인의 땅과 예루살렘에서 그의 행하신 모든 일에 증인이라 그를
저희가 나무에 달아 죽였으나
10:39 And we are witnesses of all the things which he did in the country of the Jews and
in Jerusalem; whom they put to death, hanging him on a tree.
10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of
the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
10:40 하나님이 사흘 만에 다시 살리사 나타내시되
10:40 On the third day God gave him back to life, and let him be seen,
10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly;
10:41 모든 백성에게 하신 것이 아니요 오직 미리 택하신 증인 곧 죽은 자 가운데서
일어나신 후 모시고 음식을 먹은 우리에게 하신 것이라
10:41 Not by all the people, but by witnesses marked out before by God, even by us, who
took food and drink with him after he came back from the dead.
10:41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to
us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
10:42 우리를 명하사 백성에게 전도하되 하나님이 산 자와 죽은 자의 재판장으로
정하신 자가 곧 이 사람인 것을 증거하게 하셨고
10:42 And he gave us orders to give news of this to the people, and to give public witness
that this is he whom God has made judge of the living and the dead.
10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that
it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
10:43 저에 대하여 모든 선지자도 증거하되 저를 믿는 사람들이 다 그 이름을
힘입어 죄 사함을 받는다 하였느니라
10:43 To him all the prophets give witness, that through his name everyone who has faith
in him will have forgiveness of sins.
10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believes in him shall receive remission of sins.
10:44 ○ 베드로가 이 말 할 때에 성령이 말씀 듣는 모든 사람에게 내려오시니
10:44 While Peter was saying these words, the Holy Spirit came on all those who were hearing
the word.
10:44 While Peter yet spoke these words, (o. rhema) the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma)
fell on all them which heard the word. (o. logos)
10:45 베드로와 함께 온 할례 받은 신자들이 이방인들에게도 성령 부어 주심을
인하여 놀라니
10:45 And the Jews of the faith, who had come with Peter, were full of wonder, because
the Holy Spirit was given to the Gentiles,
10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many
as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift
of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
10:46 이는 방언을 말하며 하나님 높임을 들음이러라
10:46 And they were talking in tongues, and giving glory to God. Then Peter said,
10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter,
10:47 이에 베드로가 가로되 이 사람들이 우리와 같이 성령을 받았으니 누가 능히
물로 세례 줌을 금하리요 하고
10:47 Will any man say that these may not have baptism who have been given the Holy Spirit
as we have?
10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which
have received the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) as well as we?
10:48 명하여 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 주라 하니라 저희가 베드로에게
수일 더 유하기를 청하니라
10:48 And he gave orders for them to have baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they
kept him with them for some days.
10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.
11:1 유대에 있는 사도들과 형제들이 이방인들도 하나님 말씀을 받았다 함을 들었더니
11:1 Now the Apostles and the brothers who were in Judaea had news that the word of God
had been given to the Gentiles.
11:1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles
had also received the word (o. logos) of God.
11:2 베드로가 예루살렘에 올라갔을 때에 할례자들이 힐난하여
11:2 And when Peter came to Jerusalem, those who kept the rule of circumcision had an
argument with him,
11:2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision
contended with him,
11:3 가로되 네가 무할례자의 집에 들어가 함께 먹었다 하니
11:3 Saying, You went to men without circumcision, and took food with them.
11:3 Saying, You went in to men uncircumcised, and did eat with them.
11:4 베드로가 저희에게 이 일을 차례로 설명하여
11:4 But Peter gave them an account of it all in order, saying to them,
11:4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it
by order unto them, saying,
11:5 가로되 내가 욥바 성에서 기도할 때에 비몽사몽간에 환상을 보니 큰 보자기
같은 그릇을 네 귀를 매어 하늘로부터 내리워 내 앞에까지 드리우거늘
11:5 I was in the town of Joppa, at prayer: and falling into a deep sleep, I saw in a
vision a vessel like a great cloth let down from heaven, and it came down to me:
11:5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision,
A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven
by four corners; and it came even to me:
11:6 이것을 주목하여 보니 땅에 네 발 가진 것과 들짐승과 기는 것과 공중에
나는 것들이 보이더라
11:6 And looking on it with attention I saw in it all sorts of beasts and birds.
11:6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw
four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls
of the air.
11:7 또 들으니 소리 있어 내게 이르되 베드로야 일어나 잡아 먹으라 하거늘
11:7 And a voice came to my ears saying, Come, Peter; take them for food.
11:7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
11:8 내가 가로되 주여 그럴 수 없나이다 속되거나 깨끗지 아니한 물건은 언제든지
내 입에 들어간 일이 없나이다 하니
11:8 But I said, No, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever come into my mouth.
11:8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean has at any time
entered into my mouth.
11:9 또 하늘로부터 두 번째 소리 있어 내게 대답하되 하나님이 깨끗하게 하신
것을 네가 속되다 말라 하더라
11:9 But the voice, coming a second time from heaven, said, What God has made clean,
do not you make common.
11:9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God has cleansed,
that call not you common.
11:10 이런 일이 세 번 있은 후에 모든 것이 다시 하늘로 끌려 올라가더라
11:10 And this was done three times, and they were all taken up again into heaven.
11:10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
11:11 마침 세 사람이 내 우거한 집 앞에 섰으니 가이사랴에서 내게로 보낸 사람이라
11:11 And at that minute, three men, sent from Caesarea, came to the house where we were.
11:11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the
house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
11:12 성령이 내게 명하사 아무 의심 말고 함께 가라 하시매 이 여섯 형제도 나와
함께 가서 그 사람의 집에 들어가니
11:12 And the Spirit gave me orders to go with them, doubting nothing. And these six brothers
came with me; and we went into that man's house:
11:12 And the Spirit (o. pneuma) bade me go with them, nothing doubting.
Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:
11:13 그가 우리에게 말하기를 천사가 내 집에 서서 말하되 네가 사람을 욥바에
보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라
11:13 And he gave us an account of how he had seen the angel in his house, saying, Send
to Joppa, and get Simon, named Peter, to come to you;
11:13 And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood
and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
11:14 그가 너와 네 온 집의 구원 얻을 말씀을 네게 이르리라 함을 보았다 하거늘
11:14 Who will say words to you through which you and all your family may get salvation.
11:14 Who shall tell you words, (o. rhema) whereby you and all your house
shall be saved.
11:15 내가 말을 시작할 때에 성령이 저희에게 임하시기를 처음 우리에게 하신
것과 같이 하는지라
11:15 And, while I was talking to them, the Holy Spirit came on them, as on us at first.
11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) fell on them,
as on us at the beginning.
11:16 내가 주의 말씀에 요한은 물로 세례 주었으나 너희는 성령으로 세례 받으리라
하신 것이 생각났노라
11:16 And the words of the Lord came into my mind, how he said, The baptism of John was
with water, but you will have baptism with the Holy Spirit.
11:16 Then remembered I the word (o. rhema) of the Lord, how that he said,
John indeed baptized with water; but all of you shall be baptized with the Holy
Spirit. (o. pneuma)
11:17 그런즉 하나님이 우리가 주 예수 그리스도를 믿을 때에 주신 것과 같은
선물을 저희에게도 주셨으니 내가 누구관대 하나님을 능히 막겠느냐 하더라
11:17 If then God gave them, when they had faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the same as
he gave to us, who was I to go against God?
11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who
believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
11:18 저희가 이 말을 듣고 잠잠하여 하나님께 영광을 돌려 가로되 그러면 하나님께서
이방인에게도 생명 얻는 회개를 주셨도다 하니라
11:18 And hearing these things they said nothing more, but gave glory to God, saying,
Then to the Gentiles as to us has God given a change of heart, so that they may
have life.
11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified
God, saying, Then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
11:19 ○ 때에 스데반의 일로 일어난 환난을 인하여 흩어진 자들이 베니게와 구브로와
안디옥까지 이르러 도를 유대인에게만 전하는데
11:19 Then those who had gone away at the time of the trouble about Stephen, went as far
as Phoenicia and Cyprus, preaching to the Jews only.
11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose
about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching
the word (o. logos) to none but unto the Jews only.
11:20 그 중에 구브로와 구레네 몇 사람이 안디옥에 이르러 헬라인에게도 말하여
주 예수를 전파하니
11:20 But some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, when they came to Antioch, gave the
good news about the Lord Jesus to the Greeks.
11:20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were
come to Antioch, spoke unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.
11:21 주의 손이 그들과 함께 하시매 수다한 사람이 믿고 주께 돌아오더라
11:21 And the power of the Lord was with them, and a great number had faith and were turned
to the Lord.
11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed,
and turned unto the Lord.
11:22 예루살렘 교회가 이 사람들의 소문을 듣고 바나바를 안디옥까지 보내니
11:22 And news of them came to the ears of the church at Jerusalem: and they sent Barnabas
as far as Antioch:
11:22 Then tidings (o. logos) of these things came unto the ears of the church
which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far
as Antioch.
11:23 저가 이르러 하나님의 은혜를 보고 기뻐하여 모든 사람에게 굳은 마음으로
주께 붙어 있으라 권하니
11:23 Who, when he came and saw the grace of God, was glad; and he made clear to them
the need of keeping near the Lord with all the strength of their hearts:
11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted
them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
11:24 바나바는 착한 사람이요 성령과 믿음이 충만한 자라 이에 큰 무리가 주께
더하더라
11:24 For he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith: and a great number
were joined to the Lord.
11:24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) and
of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
11:25 바나바가 사울을 찾으러 다소에 가서
11:25 Then he went on to Tarsus, looking for Saul;
11:25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, in order to seek Saul:
11:26 만나매 안디옥에 데리고 와서 둘이 교회에 일 년간 모여 있어 큰 무리를
가르쳤고 제자들이 안디옥에서 비로소 그리스도인이라 일컫음을 받게 되었더라
11:26 And when he had come across him, he took him to Antioch. And they were with the
church there for a year, teaching the people; and the disciples were first given
the name of Christians in Antioch.
11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came
to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught
much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
11:27 ○ 그 때에 선지자들이 예루살렘에서 안디옥에 이르니
11:27 Now in those days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch.
11:27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
11:28 그 중에 아가보라 하는 한 사람이 일어나 성령으로 말하되 천하가 크게
흉년 들리라 하더니 글라우디오 때에 그렇게 되니라
11:28 And one of them, named Agabus, said publicly through the Spirit that there would
be serious need of food all over the earth: which came about in the time of Claudius.
11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit
(o. pneuma) that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which
came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
11:29 제자들이 각각 그 힘대로 유대에 사는 형제들에게 부조를 보내기로 작정하고
11:29 And the disciples, everyone as he was able, made a decision to send help to the
brothers living in Judaea:
11:29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined
to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
11:30 이를 실행하여 바나바와 사울의 손으로 장로들에게 보내니라
11:30 Which they did, sending it to the rulers of the church by the hand of Barnabas and
Saul.
11:30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas
and Saul.
12:1 그 때에 헤롯 왕이 손을 들어 교회 중 몇 사람을 해하려 하여
12:1 Now, about that time, Herod the king made cruel attacks on the Christians.
12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex
certain of the church.
12:2 요한의 형제 야고보를 칼로 죽이니
12:2 And he put James, the brother of John, to death with the sword.
12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
12:3 유대인들이 이 일을 기뻐하는 것을 보고 베드로도 잡으려 할새 때는 무교절일이라
12:3 And when he saw that this was pleasing to the Jews he went on to take Peter in addition.
This was at the time of the feast of unleavened bread.
12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take
Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
12:4 잡으매 옥에 가두어 군사 넷씩인 네 패에게 맡겨 지키고 유월절 후에 백성
앞에 끌어 내고자 하더라
12:4 And having taken him, he put him in prison, with four bands of armed men to keep
watch over him; his purpose being to take him out to the people after the Passover.
12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered
him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring
him forth to the people.
12:5 이에 베드로는 옥에 갇혔고 교회는 그를 위하여 간절히 하나님께 빌더라
12:5 So Peter was kept in prison: but the church made strong prayer to God for him.
12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing
of the church unto God for him.
12:6 헤롯이 잡아 내려고 하는 그 전날 밤에 베드로가 두 군사 틈에서 두 쇠사슬애
매여 누워 자는데 파숫군들이 문 밖에서 옥을 지키더니
12:6 And when Herod was about to take him out, the same night Peter was sleeping in chains
between two armed men, and the watchmen were keeping watch before the door of the
prison.
12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was
sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before
the door kept the prison.
12:7 홀연히 주의 사자가 곁에 서매 옥중에 광채가 조요하며 또 베드로의 옆구리를
쳐 깨워 가로되 급히 일어나라 하니 쇠사슬이 그 손에서 벗어지더라
12:7 And a great light was seen shining in the room, and an angel of the Lord came to
Peter and, touching him on his side so that he came out of his sleep, said, Get
up quickly. And his chains came off his hands.
12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined
in the prison: and he stroke Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise
up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
12:8 천사가 가로되 띠를 띠고 신을 들메라 하거늘 베드로가 그대로 하니 천사가
또 가로되 겉옷을 입고 따라오라 한 대
12:8 Then the angel said, Put on your shoes and get ready to go. And he did so. And he
said, Put your coat round you and come with me.
12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird yourself, and bind on your sandals.
And so he did. And he says unto him, Cast your garment about you, and follow
me.
12:9 베드로가 나와서 따라갈새 천사의 하는 것이 참인 줄 알지 못하고 환상을
보는가 하니라
12:9 And he went out after him; and he was not certain if what was done by the angel
was a fact, for it seemed to him that he was seeing a vision.
12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and know not that it was true which
was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
12:10 이에 첫째와 둘째 파수를 지나 성으로 통한 쇠문에 이르니 문이 절로 열리는지라
나와 한 거리를 지나매 천사가 곧 떠나더라
12:10 And when they had gone past the first and second watchmen they came to the iron
door into the town, which came open by itself: and they went out and down one street;
and then the angel went away.
12:10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the
iron gate that leads unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord:
and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel
departed from him.
12:11 이에 베드로가 정신이 나서 가로되 내가 이제야 참으로 주께서 그의 천사를
보내어 나를 헤롯의 손과 유대 백성의 모든 기대에서 벗어나게 하신 줄 알겠노라 하여
12:11 And when Peter came to his senses he said, Now, truly, I am certain that the Lord
has sent his angel and taken me out of the hands of Herod, against all the hopes
of the Jews.
12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know certainly,
that the LORD has sent his angel, and has delivered me out of the hand of Herod,
and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
12:12 깨닫고 마가라 하는 요한의 어머니 마리아의 집에 가니 여러 사람이 모여
기도하더라
12:12 And when he became clear about this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of
John named Mark, where a number of them had come together for prayer.
12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary
the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together
praying.
12:13 베드로가 대문을 두드린대 로데라 하는 계집 아이가 영접하러 나왔다가
12:13 And he gave a blow on the door, and a young girl came to it, named Rhoda.
12:13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken,
named Rhoda.
12:14 베드로의 음성인 줄 알고 기뻐하여 문을 미처 열지 못하고 달려 들어가 말하되
베드로가 대문 밖에 섰더라 하니
12:14 And hearing the voice of Peter, in her joy she went running, without opening the
door, to say that Peter was outside.
12:14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness,
but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
12:15 저희가 말하되 네가 미쳤다 하나 계집 아이는 힘써 말하되 참말이라 하니
저희가 말하되 그러면 그의 천사라 하더라
12:15 And they said to her, You are off your head. But still she said, with decision,
that it was so. And they said, It is his angel.
12:15 And they said unto her, You are mad. But she constantly affirmed that
it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
12:16 베드로가 문 두드리기를 그치지 아니하니 저희가 문을 열어 베드로를 보고
놀라는지라
12:16 But Peter went on giving blows on the door: and when it was open and they saw him,
they were full of wonder.
12:16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and
saw him, they were astonished.
12:17 베드로가 저희에게 손짓하여 종용하게 하고 주께서 자기를 이끌어 옥에서
나오게 하던 일을 말하고 또 야고보와 형제들에게 이 말을 전하라 하고 떠나 다른
곳으로 가니라
12:17 But he made a sign to them with his hand to be quiet, and gave them an account of
how the Lord had taken him out of prison. And he said, Give the news to James and
the brothers. And then he went away.
12:17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared
unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go show
these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into
another place.
12:18 날이 새매 군사들은 베드로가 어떻게 되었는지 알지 못하여 적지 않게 소동하니
12:18 Now when it was day, the armed men were greatly troubled about what had become of
Peter.
12:18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers,
what was become of Peter.
12:19 헤롯이 그를 찾아도 보지 못하매 파숫군들을 심문하고 죽이라 명하니라
헤롯이 유대를 떠나 가이사랴로 내려가서 거하니라
12:19 And Herod, when he sent for him, and he was not there, after questioning the watchmen,
gave orders that they were to be put to death. Then he went down from Judaea to
Caesarea for a time.
12:19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the
keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from
Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.
12:20 ○ 헤롯이 두로와 시돈 사람들을 대단히 노여워하나 저희 지방이 왕국에서
나는 양식을 쓰는 고로 일심으로 그에게 나아와 왕의 침소 맡은 신하 블라스도를 친하여
화목하기를 청한지라
12:20 Now he was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon: and they came to him, all
together, and having made friends with Blastus, the controller of the king's house,
they made a request for peace, because their country was dependent on the king's
country for its food.
12:20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they
came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain
their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's
country.
12:21 헤롯이 날을 택하여 왕복을 입고 위에 앉아 백성을 효유한 대
12:21 And on the day which had been fixed, Herod, dressed in his robes and seated in his
place, made a public statement to them.
12:21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne,
and made an oration unto them.
12:22 백성들이 크게 부르되 이것은 신의 소리요 사람의 소리는 아니라 하거늘
12:22 And the people, with loud cries, said, It is the voice of a god, not of a man.
12:22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and
not of a man.
12:23 헤롯이 영광을 하나님께로 돌리지 아니하는 고로 주의 사자가 곧 치니 충이
먹어 죽으니라
12:23 And straight away the angel of the Lord sent a disease on him, because he did not
give the glory to God: and his flesh was wasted away by worms, and so he came to
his end.
12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord stroke him, because he gave not
God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the spirit.
12:24 ○ 하나님의 말씀은 흥왕하여 더하더라
12:24 But the word of the Lord went on increasing.
12:24 But the word (o. logos) of God grew and multiplied.
12:25 바나바와 사울이 부조의 일을 마치고 마가라 하는 요한을 데리고 예루살렘에서
돌아오니라
12:25 And Barnabas and Saul came back from Jerusalem, when their work was ended, taking
with them John named Mark.
12:25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled
their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.
13:1 안디옥 교회에 선지자들과 교사들이 있으니 곧 바나바와 니게르라 하는 시므온과
구레네 사람 루기오와 분봉 왕 헤롯의 젖동생 마나엔과 및 사울이라
13:1 Now there were at Antioch, in the church there, prophets and teachers, Barnabas,
and Symeon who was named Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, a relation of
Herod the king, and Saul.
13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and
teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene,
and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
13:2 주를 섬겨 금식할 때에 성령이 가라사대 내가 불러 시키는 일을 위하여 바나바와
사울을 따로 세우라 하시니
13:2 And while they were doing the Lord's work, and going without food, the Holy Spirit
said, Let Barnabas and Saul be given to me for the special work for which they have
been marked out by me.
13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma)
said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work unto which I have called them.
13:3 이에 금식하며 기도하고 두 사람에게 안수하여 보내니라
13:3 Then, after prayer and going without food they put their hands on them, and sent
them away.
13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they
sent them away.
13:4 ○ 두 사람이 성령의 보내심을 받아 실루기아에 내려가 거기서 배 타고 구브로에
가서
13:4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia; and from there
they went by ship to Cyprus.
13:4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) departed unto
Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
13:5 살라미에 이르러 하나님의 말씀을 유대인의 여러 회당에서 전할새 요한을
수종자로 두었더라
13:5 And at Salamis they were preaching the word of God in the Synagogues of the Jews:
and John was with them, helping them.
13:5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word (o. logos) of
God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
13:6 온 섬 가운데로 지나서 바보에 이르러 바예수라 하는 유대인 거짓 선지자
박수를 만나니
13:6 And when they had gone through all the island to Paphos, they came across a certain
wonder-worker and false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus;
13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain
sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
13:7 그가 총독 서기오 바울과 함께 있으니 서기오 바울은 지혜 있는 사람이라
바나바와 사울을 불러 하나님 말씀을 듣고자 하더라
13:7 Who was with the ruler, Sergius Paulus, an able man. This man sent for Barnabas
and Saul, desiring to have knowledge of the word of God.
13:7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent
man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word (o. logos)
of God.
13:8 이 박수 엘루마는 {이 이름을 번역하면 박수라} 저희를 대적하여 총독으로
믿지 못하게 힘쓰니
13:8 But Elymas, the wonder-worker (for that is the sense of his name), put himself against
them, with the purpose of turning the ruler from the faith.
13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood
them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
13:9 바울이라고 하는 사울이 성령이 충만하여 그를 주목하고
13:9 But Saul, whose other name is Paul, being full of the Holy Spirit, looking hard
at him, said,
13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Spirit, (o.
pneuma) set his eyes on him.
13:10 가로되 모든 궤계와 악행이 가득한 자요 마귀의 자식이요 모든 의의 원수여
주의 바른 길을 굽게 하기를 그치지 아니하겠느냐
13:10 O you, who are full of false tricks and evil ways, a son of the Evil One, hating
all righteousness, will you for ever be turning people from the right ways of the
Lord?
13:10 And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, you child of the
devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right
ways of the Lord?
13:11 보라 이제 주의 손이 네 위에 있으니 네가 소경이 되어 얼마 동안 해를
보지 못하리라 하니 즉시 안개와 어두움이 그를 덮어 인도할 사람을 두루 구하는지라
13:11 And now, see, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind and not able
to see the sun for a time. And straight away a dark mist came down on him; and he
went about looking for a guide.
13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be
blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a
mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
13:12 이에 총독이 그렇게 된 것을 보고 믿으며 주의 가르치심을 기이히 여기니라
13:12 Then the ruler, when he saw what was done, had faith, being full of wonder at the
teaching of the Lord.
13:12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished
at the doctrine of the Lord.
13:13 ○ 바울과 및 동행하는 사람들이 바보에서 배 타고 밤빌리아에 있는 버가에
이르니 요한은 저희에게서 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아가고
13:13 Then Paul and those who were with him went by ship from Paphos and came to Perga
in Pamphylia: and there John went away from them and came back to Jerusalem.
13:13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga
in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
13:14 저희는 버가로부터 지나 비시디아 안디옥에 이르러 안식일에 회당에 들어가
앉으니라
13:14 But they, going through from Perga, came to Antioch in Pisidia; and they went into
the Synagogue on the Sabbath and were seated.
13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia,
and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
13:15 율법과 선지자의 글을 읽은 후에 회당장들이 사람을 보내어 물어 가로되
형제들아 만일 백성을 권할 말이 있거든 말하라 하니
13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the Synagogue sent
to them, saying, Brothers, if you have a word of comfort for the people, say on.
13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the
synagogue sent unto them, saying, All of you men and brethren, if all of you
have any word (o. logos) of exhortation for the people, say on.
13:16 바울이 일어나 손짓하며 말하되 이스라엘 사람들과 및 하나님을 경외하는
사람들아 들으라
13:16 And Paul, getting up and making a sign with his hand, said, Men of Israel, and you
who have the fear of God, give ear.
13:16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel,
and all of you that fear God, give audience.
13:17 이 이스라엘 백성의 하나님이 우리 조상들을 택하시고 애굽 땅에서 나그네
된 그 백성을 높여 큰 권능으로 인도하여 내사
13:17 The God of this people Israel made selection of our fathers, lifting the people
up from their low condition when they were living in the land of Egypt, and with
a strong arm took them out of it.
13:17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the
people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm
brought he them out of it.
13:18 광야에서 약 사십 년간 저희 소행을 참으시고
13:18 And for about forty years he put up with their ways in the waste land.
13:18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the
wilderness.
13:19 가나안 땅 일곱 족속을 멸하사 그 땅을 기업으로 주시고（약 사백 오십 년간）
13:19 And having put to destruction seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them
the land for their heritage for about four hundred and fifty years.
13:19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he
divided their land to them by lot.
13:20 그 후에 선지자 사무엘 때까지 사사를 주셨더니
13:20 And after these things he gave them judges, till the time of Samuel the prophet.
13:20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred
and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
13:21 그 후에 저희가 왕을 구하거늘 하나님이 베냐민 지파 사람 기스의 아들
사울을 사십 년간 주셨다가
13:21 Then at their request for a king, God gave them Saul, the son of Kish, a man of
the family of Benjamin, who was their king for forty years.
13:21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the
son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
13:22 폐하시고 다윗을 왕으로 세우시고 증거하여 가라사대 내가 이새의 아들
다윗을 만나니 내 마음에 합한 사람이라 내 뜻을 다 이루게 하리라 하시더니
13:22 And having put him on one side, he made David their king, to whom he gave witness,
saying, I have taken David, the son of Jesse, a man dear to my heart, who will do
all my pleasure.
13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their
king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the
son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.
13:23 하나님이 약속하신 대로 이 사람의 씨에서 이스라엘을 위하여 구주를 세우셨으니
곧 예수라
13:23 From this man's seed has God given to Israel a Saviour, even Jesus, as he gave his
word;
13:23 Of this man's seed has God according to his promise raised unto Israel
a Saviour, Jesus:
13:24 그 오시는 앞에 요한이 먼저 회개의 세례를 이스라엘 모든 백성에게 전파하니라
13:24 For whose coming John made ready the way by preaching to all the people of Israel
the baptism which goes with a change of heart.
13:24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance
to all the people of Israel.
13:25 요한이 그 달려갈 길을 마칠 때에 말하되 너희가 나를 누구로 생각하느냐
나는 그리스도가 아니라 내 뒤에 오시는 이가 있으니 나는 그 발의 신 풀기도 감당치
못하리라 하였으니
13:25 And when John was completing his work, he said, What do I seem to you to be? I am
not he; but one is coming after me, whose shoes I am not good enough to undo.
13:25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think all of you that
I am? I am not he. But, behold, there comes one after me, whose shoes of his
feet I am not worthy to loose.
13:26 형제들 아브라함의 후예와 너희 중 하나님을 경외하는 사람들아 이 구원의
말씀을 우리에게 보내셨거늘
13:26 My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those among you who have the
fear of God, to us the word of this salvation is sent.
13:26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among
you fears God, to you is the word (o. logos) of this salvation sent.
13:27 예루살렘에 사는 자들과 저희 관원들이 예수와 및 안식일마다 외우는 바
선지자들의 말을 알지 못하므로 예수를 정죄하여 선지자들의 말을 응하게 하였도다
13:27 For the men of Jerusalem and their rulers, having no knowledge of him, or of the
sayings of the prophets which come to their ears every Sabbath day, gave effect
to them by judging him.
13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew
him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day,
they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
13:28 죽일 죄를 하나도 찾지 못하였으나 빌라도에게 죽여 달라 하였으니
13:28 And though no cause of death was seen in him, they made a request to Pilate that
he might be put to death.
13:28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate
that he should be slain.
13:29 성경에 저를 가리켜 기록한 말씀을 다 응하게 한 것이라 후에 나무에서
내려다가 무덤에 두었으나
13:29 And when they had done all the things said in the Writings about him, they took
him down from the tree, and put him in the place of the dead.
13:29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took
him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.
13:30 하나님이 죽은 자 가운데서 저를 살리신지라
13:30 But God gave him back from the dead:
13:30 But God raised him from the dead:
13:31 갈릴리로부터 예루살렘에 함께 올라간 사람들에게 여러 날 보이셨으니 저희가
이제 백성 앞에 그의 증인이라
13:31 And for a number of days he was seen by those who came with him from Galilee to
Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses before the people.
13:31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee
to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
13:32 우리도 조상들에게 주신 약속을 너희에게 전파하노니
13:32 And we are giving you the good news of the undertaking made to the fathers,
13:32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was
made unto the fathers,
13:33 곧 하나님이 예수를 일으키사 우리 자녀들에게 이 약속을 이루게 하셨다
함이라 시편 둘째 편에 기록한 바와 같이 너는 내 아들이라 오늘 너를 낳았다 하셨고
13:33 Which God has now put into effect for our children, by sending Jesus; as it says
in the second Psalm, You are my Son; this day I have given you being.
13:33 God has fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he has raised
up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, this
day have I begotten you.
13:34 또 하나님께서 죽은 자 가운데서 저를 일으키사 다시 썩음을 당하지 않게
하실 것을 가르쳐 가라사대 내가 다윗의 거룩하고 미쁜 은사를 너희에게 주리라 하셨으니
13:34 And about his coming back from the dead, never again to go to destruction, he has
said these words, I will give you the holy and certain mercies of David.
13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more
to return to corruption, he said likewise, I will give you the sure mercies
of David.
13:35 그러므로 또 다른 편에 일렀으되 주의 거룩한 자로 썩음을 당하지 않게
하시리라 하셨느니라
13:35 Because he says in another Psalm, You will not let your Holy One see destruction.
13:35 Wherefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not suffer yours
Holy One to see corruption.
13:36 다윗은 당시에 하나님의 뜻을 좇아 섬기다가 잠들어 그 조상들과 함께 묻혀
썩음을 당하였으되
13:36 Now David, having done God's work for his generation, went to sleep, and was put
with his fathers, and his body came to destruction:
13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God,
fell asleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
13:37 하나님의 살리신 이는 썩음을 당하지 아니하였나니
13:37 But he, who was lifted up by God, did not see destruction.
13:37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
13:38 그러므로 형제들아 너희가 알 것은 이 사람을 힘입어 죄 사함을 너희에게
전하는 이것이며
13:38 And so, let it be clear to you, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of
sins is offered to you:
13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this
man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
13:39 또 모세의 율법으로 너희가 의롭다 하심을 얻지 못하던 모든 일에도 이
사람을 힘입어 믿는 자마다 의롭다 하심을 얻는 이것이라
13:39 And through him everyone who has faith is made free from all those things, from
which the law of Moses was not able to make you free.
13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which
all of you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
13:40 그런즉 너희는 선지자들로 말씀하신 것이 너희에게 미칠까 삼가라
13:40 So take care that these words of the prophets do not come true for you;
13:40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the
prophets;
13:41 일렀으되 보라 멸시하는 사람들아 너희는 놀라고 망하라 내가 너희 때를
당하여 한 일을 행할 것이니 사람이 너희에게 이를지라도 도무지 믿지 못할 일이라
하였느니라 하니라
13:41 See, you doubters, have wonder and come to your end; for I will do a thing in your
days to which you will not give belief, even if it is made clear to you.
13:41 Behold, all of you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a
work in your days, a work which all of you shall in no wise believe, though
a man declare it unto you.
13:42 ○ 저희가 나갈새 사람들이 청하되 다음 안식일에도 이 말씀을 하라 하더라
13:42 And when they went out, they made a request that these words might be said to them
again on the Sabbath after.
13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought
that these words (o. rhema) might be preached to them the next sabbath.
13:43 폐회한 후에 유대인과 유대교에 입교한 경건한 사람들이 많이 바울과 바나바를
좇으니 두 사도가 더불어 말하고 항상 하나님의 은혜 가운데 있으라 권하니라
13:43 Now when the meeting was ended, a number of the Jews and of the God-fearing Gentiles
who had become Jews, went after Paul and Barnabas: who put before them how important
it was to keep on in the grace of God.
13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious
proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them
to continue in the grace of God.
13:44 ○ 그 다음 안식일에는 온 성이 거의 다 하나님 말씀을 듣고자 하여 모이니
13:44 And on the Sabbath after, almost all the town came together to give hearing to the
word of God.
13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear
the word (o. logos) of God.
13:45 유대인들이 그 무리를 보고 시기가 가득하여 바울의 말한 것을 변박하고
비방하거늘
13:45 But when the Jews saw such a great number of people, they were full of envy and
said evil words against Paul's preaching.
13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and
spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
13:46 바울과 바나바가 담대히 말하여 가로되 하나님의 말씀을 마땅히 먼저 너희에게
전할 것이로되 너희가 버리고 영생 얻음에 합당치 않은 자로 자처하기로 우리가 이방인에게로
향하노라
13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas without fear said, It was necessary for the word of God to
be given to you first; but because you will have nothing to do with it, and have
no desire for eternal life, it will now be offered to the Gentiles.
13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that
the word (o. logos) of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing
all of you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life,
lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
13:47 주께서 이같이 우리를 명하시되 내가 너를 이방의 빛을 삼아 너로 땅 끝까지
구원하게 하리라 하셨느니라 하니
13:47 For so the Lord has given us orders, saying, I have given you for a light to the
Gentiles so that you may be for salvation to the ends of the earth.
13:47 For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light
of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
13:48 이방인들이 듣고 기뻐하여 하나님의 말씀을 찬송하며 영생을 주시기로 작정된
자는 다 믿더라
13:48 And the Gentiles, hearing this, were glad and gave glory to the word of God: and
those marked out by God for eternal life had faith.
13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the
word (o. logos) of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
13:49 주의 말씀이 그 지방에 두루 퍼지니라
13:49 And the word of the Lord went through all the country.
13:49 And the word (o. logos) of the Lord was published throughout all the
region.
13:50 이에 유대인들이 경건한 귀부인들과 그 성내 유력자들을 선동하여 바울과
바나바를 핍박케 하여 그 지경에서 쫓아내니
13:50 But the Jews, working up the feelings of the God-fearing women of high position
and of the chief men of the town, got an attack started against Paul and Barnabas,
driving them out of those parts.
13:50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief
men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled
them out of their coasts.
13:51 두 사람이 저희를 향하여 발에 티끌을 떨어 버리고 이고니온으로 가거늘
13:51 But they, shaking off the dust of that place from their feet, came to Iconium.
13:51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto
Iconium.
13:52 제자들은 기쁨과 성령이 충만하니라
13:52 And the disciples were full of joy and of the Holy Spirit.
13:52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit. (o.
pneuma)
14:1 이에 이고니온에서 두 사도가 함께 유대인의 회당에 들어가 말하니 유대와
헬라의 허다한 무리가 믿더라
14:1 Now in Iconium they went together to the Synagogue of the Jews and gave such teaching
that a great number of Jews and Greeks had faith.
14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the
synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke, that a great multitude both of the Jews
and also of the Greeks believed.
14:2 그러나 순종치 아니하는 유대인들이 이방인들의 마음을 선동하여 형제들에게
악감을 품게 하거늘
14:2 But those Jews who had not the faith, made the minds of the Gentiles bitter against
the brothers.
14:2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds
evil affected against the brethren.
14:3 두 사도가 오래 있어 주를 힘입어 담대히 말하니 주께서 저희 손으로 표적과
기사를 행하게 하여 주사 자기 은혜의 말씀을 증거하시니
14:3 So they kept there for a long time, taking heart in the Lord, who gave witness to
the word of his grace by causing signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave
testimony unto the word (o. logos) of his grace, and granted signs and wonders
to be done by their hands.
14:4 그 성내 무리가 나뉘어 유대인을 좇는 자도 있고 두 사도를 좇는 자도 있는지라
14:4 But there was a division among the people of the town; some were on the side of
the Jews and some on the side of the Apostles.
14:4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews,
and part with the apostles.
14:5 이방인과 유대인과 그 관원들이 두 사도를 능욕하며 돌로 치려고 달려드니
14:5 And when a violent attempt was made by the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers,
to make an attack on them and have them stoned,
14:5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of
the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
14:6 저희가 알고 도망하여 루가오니아의 두 성 루스드라와 더베와 및 그 근방으로
가서
14:6 Having got news of it, they went in flight to the towns of Lycaonia, Lystra, and
Derbe, and the country round about:
14:6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia,
and unto the region that lies round about:
14:7 거기서 복음을 전하니라
14:7 And went on preaching the good news there.
14:7 And there they preached the gospel.
14:8 ○ 루스드라에 발을 쓰지 못하는 한 사람이 있어 앉았는데 나면서 앉은뱅이
되어 걸어 본 적이 없는 자라
14:8 And at Lystra there was a certain man, who from birth had been without the use of
his feet, never having had the power of walking.
14:8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a
cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
14:9 바울의 말하는 것을 듣거늘 바울이 주목하여 구원 받을 만한 믿음이 그에게
있는 것을 보고
14:9 This man was giving ear to the preaching of Paul, who, looking at him, and seeing
that he had faith to be made well,
14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving
that he had faith to be healed,
14:10 큰 소리로 가로되 네 발로 바로 일어서라 하니 그 사람이 뛰어 걷는지라
14:10 Said in a loud voice, Get up on your feet. And, jumping up, he went walking about.
14:10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet. And he leaped and
walked.
14:11 무리가 바울의 행한 일을 보고 루가오니아 방언으로 소리 질러 가로되 신들이
사람의 형상으로 우리 가운데 내려오셨다 하여
14:11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they said in a loud voice, in the language
of Lycaonia, The gods have come down to us in the form of men.
14:11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices,
saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness
of men.
14:12 바나바는 쓰스라 하고 바울은 그 중에 말하는 자이므로 허메라 하더라
14:12 And they gave the name of Jupiter to Barnabas, and to Paul that of Mercury, because
he was the chief talker.
14:12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he
was the chief speaker. (o. logos)
14:13 성 밖 쓰스 신당의 제사장이 소와 화관들을 가지고 대문 앞에 와서 무리와
함께 제사하고자 하니
14:13 And the priest of the image of Jupiter, which was before the town, took oxen and
flowers to the doors of the town, and was about to make an offering with the people.
14:13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen
and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14:14 두 사도 바나바와 바울이 듣고 옷을 찢고 무리 가운데 뛰어 들어가서 소리
질러
14:14 But when this came to the ears of the Apostles, Paul and Barnabas, they went running
out among the people, parting their clothing, and crying out,
14:14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their
clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
14:15 가로되 여러분이여 어찌하여 이러한 일을 하느냐 우리도 너희와 같은 성정을
가진 사람이라 너희에게 복음을 전하는 것은 이 헛된 일을 버리고 천지와 바다와
그 가운데 만유를 지으시고 살아 계신 하나님께로 돌아오라 함이라
14:15 Good people, why are you doing these things? We are men with the same feelings as
you, and we give you the good news so that you may be turned away from these foolish
things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all
things in them:
14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do all of you these things? We also are men of
like passions with you, and preach unto you that all of you should turn from
these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea,
and all things that are therein:
14:16 하나님이 지나간 세대에는 모든 족속으로 자기의 길들을 다니게 묵인하셨으나
14:16 Who in the past let all nations go in the ways which seemed good to them.
14:16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
14:17 그러나 자기를 증거하지 아니하신 것이 아니니 곧 너희에게 하늘로서 비를
내리시며 결실기를 주시는 선한 일을 하사 음식과 기쁨으로 너희 마음에 만족케 하셨느니라
하고
14:17 But he was not without witness, because he did good, and gave you rain from heaven
and times of fruit, making your hearts full of food and joy.
14:17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good,
and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with
food and gladness.
14:18 이렇게 말하여 겨우 무리를 말려 자기들에게 제사를 못하게 하니라
14:18 And even with these words, it was hard for them to keep the people from making an
offering to them.
14:18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they
had not done sacrifice unto them.
14:19 ○ 유대인들이 안디옥과 이고니온에서 와서 무리를 초인하여 돌로 바울을
쳐서 죽은 줄로 알고 성 밖에 끌어 내치니라
14:19 But some Jews came to that place from Antioch and Iconium, and got control over
the people; and after stoning Paul, they had him pulled out of the town, taking
him for dead.
14:19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded
the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had
been dead.
14:20 제자들이 둘러 섰을 때에 바울이 일어나 성에 들어갔다가 이튿날 바나바와
함께 더베로 가서
14:20 But when the disciples came round him, he got up and went into the town: and the
day after he went away with Barnabas to Derbe.
14:20 Nevertheless, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and
came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
14:21 복음을 그 성에서 전하여 많은 사람을 제자로 삼고 루스드라와 이고니온과
안디옥으로 돌아가서
14:21 And having made a number of disciples through the preaching of the good news in
that town, they went back to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,
14:21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught
many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
14:22 제자들의 마음을 굳게 하여 이 믿음에 거하라 권하고 또 우리가 하나님
나라에 들어가려면 많은 환난을 겪어야 할 것이라 하고
14:22 Making strong the souls of the disciples, saying to them that they were to keep
the faith, and that we have to go through troubles of all sorts to come into the
kingdom of God.
14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue
in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom
of God.
14:23 각 교회에서 장로들을 택하여 금식 기도하며 저희를 그 믿은 바 주께 부탁하고
14:23 And when they had made selection of some to be rulers in every church, and had given
themselves to prayer and kept themselves from food, they put them into the care
of the Lord in whom they had faith.
14:23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed
with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
14:24 비시디아 가운데로 지나가서 밤빌리아에 이르러
14:24 And they went through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.
14:24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
14:25 도를 버가에서 전하고 앗달리아로 내려가서
14:25 And, after preaching the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia;
14:25 And when they had preached the word (o. logos) in Perga, they went
down into Attalia:
14:26 거기서 배 타고 안디옥에 이르니 이곳은 두 사도의 이룬 그 일을 위하여
전에 하나님의 은혜에 부탁하던 곳이라
14:26 And from there they went by ship to Antioch, where they had been handed over to
the grace of God for the work which they had not done.
14:26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended
to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
14:27 이르러 교회를 모아 하나님이 함께 행하신 모든 일과 이방인들에게 믿음의
문을 여신 것을 고하고
14:27 And when they came there, and had got the church together, they gave them an account
of all the things which God had done through them, and how he had made open a door
of faith to the Gentiles.
14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they
rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of
faith unto the Gentiles.
14:28 제자들과 함께 오래 있으니라
14:28 And they were with the disciples there for a long time.
14:28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.
15:1 어떤 사람들이 유대로부터 내려와서 형제들을 가르치되 너희가 모세의 법대로
할례를 받지 아니하면 능히 구원을 얻지 못하리라 하니
15:1 Now certain men came down from Judaea, teaching the brothers and saying that without
circumcision, after the rule of Moses, there is no salvation.
15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and
said, Except all of you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, all of you
cannot be saved.
15:2 바울과 바나바와 저희 사이에 적지 아니한 다툼과 변론이 일어난지라 형제들이
이 문제에 대하여 바울과 바나바와 및 그 중에 몇 사람을 예루살렘에 있는 사도와
장로들에게 보내기로 작정하니라
15:2 And after Paul and Barnabas had had no little argument and discussion with them,
the brothers made a decision to send Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them
to the Apostles and the rulers of the church at Jerusalem about this question.
15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation
with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them,
should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
15:3 저희가 교회의 전송을 받고 베니게와 사마리아로 다녀가며 이방인들의 주께
돌아온 일을 말하여 형제들을 다 크게 기쁘게 하더라
15:3 So they, being sent on their way by the church, went through Phoenicia and Samaria,
giving news of the salvation of the Gentiles, to the great joy of all the brothers.
15:3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice
and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great
joy unto all the brethren.
15:4 예루살렘에 이르러 교회와 사도와 장로들에게 영접을 받고 하나님이 자기들과
함께 계셔 행하신 모든 일을 말하매
15:4 And when they came to Jerusalem, they had a meeting with the church and the Apostles
and the rulers, and they gave an account of all the things which God had done through
them.
15:4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church,
and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done
with them.
15:5 바리새파 중에 믿는 어떤 사람들이 일어나 말하되 이방인에게 할례 주고
모세의 율법을 지키라 명하는 것이 마땅하다 하니라
15:5 But some of the Pharisees, who were of the faith, got up and said, It is necessary
for these to have circumcision and to keep the law of Moses.
15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed,
saying, That it was necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep
the law of Moses.
15:6 ○ 사도와 장로들이 이 일을 의논하러 모여
15:6 And the Apostles and the rulers of the church came together and gave thought to
the question.
15:6 And the apostles and elders came together in order to consider of this
matter. (o. logos)
15:7 많은 변론이 있은 후에 베드로가 일어나 말하되 형제들아 너희도 알거니와
하나님이 이방인들로 내 입에서 복음의 말씀을 들어 믿게 하시려고 오래 전부터 너희
가운데서 나를 택하시고
15:7 And when there had been much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, My brothers,
you have knowledge that some time back it was God's pleasure that by my mouth the
good news might be given to the Gentiles so that they might have faith.
15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto
them, Men and brethren, all of you know how that a good while ago God made choice
among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word (o. logos) of the
gospel, and believe.
15:8 또 마음을 아시는 하나님이 우리에게와 같이 저희에게도 성령을 주어 증거하시고
15:8 And God, the searcher of hearts, was a witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit
even as he did to us;
15:8 And God, which knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the
Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) even as he did unto us;
15:9 믿음으로 저희 마음을 깨끗이 하사 저희나 우리나 분간치 아니하셨느니라
15:9 Making no division between them and us, but making clean their hearts by faith.
15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by
faith.
15:10 그런데 지금 너희가 어찌하여 하나님을 시험하여 우리 조상과 우리도 능히
메지 못하던 멍에를 제자들의 목에 두려느냐
15:10 Why then are you testing God, by putting on the neck of the disciples a yoke so
hard that not even our fathers or we were strong enough for it?
15:10 Now therefore why tempt all of you God, to put a yoke upon the neck
of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
15:11 우리가 저희와 동일하게 주 예수의 은혜로 구원 받는 줄을 믿노라 하니라
15:11 But we have faith that we will get salvation through the grace of the Lord Jesus
in the same way as they.
15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall
be saved, even as they.
15:12 ○ 온 무리가 가만히 있어 바나바와 바울이 하나님이 자기들로 말미암아
이방인 중에서 행하신 표적과 기사 고하는 것을 듣더니
15:12 And all the people were quiet while Barnabas and Paul gave an account of the signs
and wonders which God had done among the Gentiles by them.
15:12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas
and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles
by them.
15:13 말을 마치매 야고보가 대답하여 가로되 형제들아 내 말을 들으라
15:13 And when they had come to an end, James, answering, said, My brothers, give ear
to me:
15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and
brethren, hearken unto me:
15:14 하나님이 처음으로 이방인 중에서 자기 이름을 위할 백성을 취하시려고
저희를 권고하신 것을 시므온이 고하였으니
15:14 Symeon has given an account of how God was first pleased to take from among the
Gentiles a people for himself.
15:14 Simeon has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to
take out of them a people for his name.
15:15 선지자들의 말씀이 이와 합하도다 기록된 바
15:15 And this is in agreement with the words of the prophets, as it is said,
15:15 And to this agree the words (o. logos) of the prophets; as it is written,
15:16 이 후에 내가 돌아와서 다윗의 무너진 장막을 다시 지으며 또 그 퇴락한
것을 다시 지어 일으키리니
15:16 After these things I will come back, and will put up the tent of David which has
been broken down, building up again its broken parts and making it complete:
15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David,
which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set
it up:
15:17 이는 그 남은 사람들과 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 모든 이방인들로 주를
찾게 하려 함이라 하셨으니
15:17 So that the rest of men may make search for the Lord, and all the Gentiles on whom
my name is named,
15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles,
upon whom my name is called, says the Lord, who does all these things.
15:18 즉 예로부터 이것을 알게 하시는 주의 말씀이라 함과 같으니라
15:18 Says the Lord, who has made these things clear from the earliest times.
15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
15:19 그러므로 내 의견에는 이방인 중에서 하나님께로 돌아 오는 자들을 괴롭게

15:19 For this reason my decision is, that we do not put trouble in the way of those who
from among the Gentiles are turned to God;
15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among
the Gentiles are turned to God:
15:20 다만 우상의 더러운 것과 음행과 목매어 죽인 것과 피를 멀리 하라고 편지하는
것이 가하니
15:20 But that we give them orders to keep themselves from things offered to false gods,
and from the evil desires of the body, and from the flesh of animals put to death
in ways against the law, and from blood.
15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols,
and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
15:21 이는 예로부터 각 성에서 모세를 전하는 자가 있어 안식일마다 회당에서
그 글을 읽음이니라 하더라
15:21 For Moses, from times long past, has his preachers in every town, reading his law
in the Synagogues every Sabbath.
15:21 For Moses of old time has in every city them that preach him, being
read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
15:22 ○ 이에 사도와 장로와 온 교회가 그 중에서 사람을 택하여 바울과 바나바와
함께 안디옥으로 보내기를 가결하니 곧 형제 중에 인도자인 바사바라 하는 유다와
실라더라
15:22 Then it seemed good to the Apostles and the rulers and all the church, to send men
from among them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; Judas, named Barsabbas, and Silas,
chief men among the brothers:
15:22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send
chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas
surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
15:23 그 편에 편지를 부쳐 이르되 사도와 장로된 형제들은 안디옥과 수리아와
길리기아에 있는 이방인 형제들에게 문안하노라
15:23 And they sent a letter by them, saying, The Apostles and the older brothers, to
the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, may joy be
with you:
15:23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and
elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles
in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.
15:24 들은즉 우리 가운데서 어떤 사람들이 우리의 시킨 것도 없이 나가서 말로
너희를 괴롭게 하고 마음을 혹하게 한다 하기로
15:24 Because we have knowledge that some who went from us have been troubling you with
their words, putting your souls in doubt; to whom we gave no such order;
15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have
troubled you with words, (o. logos) subverting your souls, saying, All of you
must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
15:25 사람을 택하여 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름을 위하여 생명을 아끼지 아니하는
자인 우리의 사랑하는 바나바와 바울과 함께 너희에게 보내기를 일치 가결하였노라
15:25 It seemed good to us, having come to an agreement together, to send these men to
you, with our well loved Barnabas and Paul,
15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen
men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

15:26 Men who have given up their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15:27 And so we have sent Judas and Silas, who will say the same things to you themselves,
by word of mouth.

15:28 성령과 우리는 이 요긴한 것들 외에 아무 짐도 너희에게 지우지 아니하는

15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to put on you nothing more than
these necessary things;

upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

15:29 To keep from things offered to false gods, and from blood, and from things put to
death in ways which are against the law, and from the evil desires of the body;
if you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. May you be happy.

15:30 ○ 저희가 작별하고 안디옥에 내려가 무리를 모은 후에 편지를 전하니
15:30 So they, being sent away, came down to Antioch, and having got the people together,
they gave them the letter.
15:30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had
gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
15:31 읽고 그 위로한 말을 기뻐하더라
15:31 And after reading it, they were glad of its comfort.
15:31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
15:32 유다와 실라도 선지자라 여러 말로 형제를 권면하여 굳게 하고
15:32 And Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, gave teaching to the brothers
and made them strong in the faith.
15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren
with many words, (o. logos) and confirmed them.
15:33 얼마 있다가 평안히 가라는 전송을 형제들에게 받고 자기를 보내던 사람들에게로
돌아가되
15:33 And when they had been there for some time, they were sent back in peace by the
brothers to those who had sent them.
15:33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace
from the brethren unto the apostles.

15:35 바울과 바나바는 안디옥에서 유하여 다수한 다른 사람들과 함께 주의 말씀을

15:35 But Paul and Barnabas kept on in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of God,
with a number of others.
15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching
the word (o. logos) of the Lord, with many others also.
15:36 ○ 수일 후에 바울이 바나바더러 말하되 우리가 주의 말씀을 전한 각 성으로
다시 가서 형제들이 어떠한가 방문하자 하니
15:36 And after some days, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go back and see the brothers
in every town where we have given the word of God, and see how they are.
15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit
our brethren in every city where we have preached the word (o. logos) of the
LORD, and see how they do.
15:37 바나바는 마가라 하는 요한도 데리고 가고자 하나
15:37 And Barnabas had a desire to take with them John, named Mark.
15:37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
15:38 바울은 밤빌리아에서 자기들을 떠나 한가지로 일하러 가지 아니한 자를
데리고 가는 것이 옳지 않다 하여
15:38 But Paul was of the opinion that it was not right to take with them one who had
gone away from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone on with the work.
15:38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from
them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
15:39 서로 심히 다투어 피차 갈라 서니 바나바는 마가를 데리고 배 타고 구브로로
가고
15:39 And there was a sharp argument between them, so that they were parted from one another,
and Barnabas took Mark with him and went by ship to Cyprus;
15:39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder
one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
15:40 바울은 실라를 택한 후에 형제들에게 주의 은혜에 부탁함을 받고 떠나
15:40 But Paul took Silas and went away with the blessing of the brothers.
15:40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren
unto the grace of God.
15:41 수리아와 길리기아로 다녀가며 교회들을 굳게 하니라
15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, making the churches stronger in the faith.
15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
16:1 바울이 더베와 루스드라에도 이르매 거기 디모데라 하는 제자가 있으니 그
모친은 믿는 유대 여자요 부친은 헬라인이라
16:1 And he came to Derbe and Lystra: and there was a certain disciple there named Timothy,
whose mother was one of the Jews of the faith, but his father was a Greek;
16:1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was
there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and
believed; but his father was a Greek:
16:2 디모데는 루스드라와 이고니온에 있는 형제들에게 칭찬 받는 자니
16:2 Of whom the brothers at Lystra and Iconium had a high opinion.
16:2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
16:3 바울이 그를 데리고 떠나고자 할새 그 지경에 있는 유대인을 인하여 그를
데려다가 할례를 행하니 이는 그 사람들이 그의 부친은 헬라인인 줄 다 앎이러라
16:3 Paul had a desire for him to go with him, and he gave him circumcision because of
the Jews who were in those parts: for they all had knowledge that his father was
a Greek.
16:3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him
because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his
father was a Greek.
16:4 여러 성으로 다녀 갈 때에 예루살렘에 있는 사도와 장로들의 작정한 규례를
저희에게 주어 지키게 하니
16:4 And on their way through the towns, they gave them the rules which had been made
by the Apostles and the rulers of the church at Jerusalem, so that they might keep
them.
16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees
in order to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at
Jerusalem.
16:5 이에 여러 교회가 믿음이 더 굳어지고 수가 날마다 더하니라
16:5 So the churches were made strong in the faith and were increased in number every
day.
16:5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in
number daily.
16:6 ○ 성령이 아시아에서 말씀을 전하지 못하게 하시거늘 브루기아와 갈라디아
땅으로 다녀가
16:6 And after they had gone through the land of Phrygia and Galatia, the Holy Spirit
did not let them take the word into Asia;
16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia,
and were forbidden of the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) to preach the word (o. logos)
in Asia,
16:7 무시아 앞에 이르러 비두니아로 가고자 애쓰되 예수의 영이 허락지 아니하시는지라
16:7 And having come to Mysia, they made an attempt to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit
of Jesus did not let them;
16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but
the Spirit (o. pneuma) suffered them not.
16:8 무시아를 지나 드로아로 내려갔는데
16:8 And going past Mysia, they came down to Troas.
16:8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
16:9 밤에 환상이 바울에게 보이니 마게도냐 사람 하나가 서서 그에게 청하여
가로되 마게도냐로 건너와서 우리를 도우라 하거늘
16:9 And Paul had a vision in the night; a man of Macedonia came, requesting him, and
saying, Come over into Macedonia and give us help.
16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia,
and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
16:10 바울이 이 환상을 본 후에 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는
하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라
16:10 And when he had seen the vision, straight away we made the decision to go into Macedonia,
for it seemed certain to us that God had sent us to give the good news to them.
16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go
into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us in order to
preach the gospel unto them.
16:11 ○ 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고
16:11 So, from Troas we went straight by ship to Samothrace and the day after to Neapolis;
16:11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia,
and the next day to Neapolis;
16:12 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지경 첫 성이요 또 로마의 식민지라
이 성에서 수일을 유하다가
16:12 And from there to Philippi, which is the most important town of Macedonia and a
Roman colony: and we were there for some days.
16:12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of
Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.
16:13 안식일에 우리가 기도처가 있는가 하여 문 밖 강 가에 나가 거기 앉아서
모인 여자들에게 말하더니
16:13 And on the Sabbath we went outside the town, by the river, where we had an idea
that there would be a place of prayer; and, being seated, we had talk with the women
who had come together.
16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer
was known to be made; and we sat down, and spoke unto the women which resorted
thither.
16:14 두아디라 성의 자주 장사로서 하나님을 공경하는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가
들었는데 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 청종하게 하신지라
16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a trader in purple cloth of the town of Thyatira,
and a God-fearing woman, gave ear to us: whose heart the Lord made open to give
attention to the things which Paul was saying.
16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of
Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that
she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
16:15 저와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 가로되 만일 나를 주 믿는
자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 있게 하니라
16:15 And when she and her family had had baptism, she made a request to us, saying, If
it seems to you that I am true to the Lord, come into my house and be my guests.
And she made us come.
16:15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying,
If all of you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house,
and abide there. And she constrained us.
16:16 ○ 우리가 기도하는 곳에 가다가 점하는 귀신 들린 여종 하나를 만나니
점으로 그 주인들을 크게 이하게 하는 자라
16:16 And when we were going to the place of prayer, we came across a girl with a spirit
which gave knowledge of the future, whose masters made great profit from her power.
16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed
with a spirit (o. pneuma) of divination met us, which brought her masters much
gain by soothsaying:
16:17 바울과 우리를 좇아와서 소리 질러 가로되 이 사람들은 지극히 높은 하나님의
종으로 구원의 길을 너희에게 전하는 자라 하며
16:17 She came after Paul and us, crying out and saying, These men are the servants of
the Most High God, who are giving you news of the way of salvation.
16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the
servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.
16:18 이같이 여러 날을 하는지라 바울이 심히 괴로와하여 돌이켜 그 귀신에게
이르되 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 내가 네게 명하노니 그에게서 나오라 하니 귀신이
즉시 나오니라
16:18 And this she did on a number of days. But Paul was greatly troubled and, turning,
said to the spirit, I give you orders in the name of Jesus Christ, to come out of
her. And it came out that very hour.
16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said
to the spirit, (o. pneuma) I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come
out of her. And he came out the same hour.
16:19 ○ 종의 주인들은 자기 이익의 소망이 끊어진 것을 보고 바울과 실라를
잡아가지고 저자로 관원들에게 끌어 갔다가
16:19 But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they took Paul and
Silas, pulling them into the market-place before the rulers;
16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they
caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
16:20 상관들 앞에 데리고 가서 말하되 이 사람들이 유대인인데 우리 성을 심히
요란케 하여
16:20 And when they had taken them before the authorities, they said, These men, who are
Jews, are greatly troubling our town;
16:20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews,
do exceedingly trouble our city,
16:21 로마 사람인 우리가 받지도 못하고 행치도 못할 풍속을 전한다 하거늘
16:21 Teaching rules of living which it is not right for us to have or to keep, being
Romans.
16:21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither
to observe, being Romans.
16:22 무리가 일제히 일어나 송사하니 상관들이 옷을 찢어 벗기고 매로 치라 하여
16:22 And the people made an attack on them all together: and the authorities took their
clothing off them, and gave orders for them to be whipped.
16:22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates
rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
16:23 많이 친 후에 옥에 가두고 간수에게 분부하여 든든히 지키라 하니
16:23 And when they had given them a great number of blows, they put them in prison, giving
orders to the keeper of the prison to keep them safely:
16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into
prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
16:24 그가 이러한 영을 받아 저희를 깊은 옥에 가두고 그 발을 착고에 든든히
채웠더니
16:24 And he, having such orders, put them into the inner prison with chains on their
feet.
16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison,
and made their feet fast in the stocks.
16:25 밤중쯤 되어 바울과 실라가 기도하고 하나님을 찬미하매 죄수들이 듣더라
16:25 But about the middle of the night, Paul and Silas were making prayers and songs
to God in the hearing of the prisoners;
16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and
the prisoners heard them.
16:26 이에 홀연히 큰 지진이 나서 옥터가 움직이고 문이 곧 다 열리며 모든 사람의
매인 것이 다 벗어진지라
16:26 And suddenly there was an earth-shock, so that the base of the prison was moved:
and all the doors came open, and everyone's chains came off.
16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations
of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every
one's bands were loosed.
16:27 간수가 자다가 깨어 옥문들이 열린 것을 보고 죄수들이 도망한 줄 생각하고
검을 빼어 자결하려 하거늘
16:27 And the keeper, coming out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, took
his sword and was about to put himself to death, fearing that the prisoners had
got away.
16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the
prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing
that the prisoners had been fled.
16:28 바울이 크게 소리 질러 가로되 네 몸을 상하지 말라 우리가 다 여기 있노라
하니
16:28 But Paul said in a loud voice, Do yourself no damage, for we are all here.
16:28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm: for
we are all here.
16:29 간수가 등불을 달라고 하며 뛰어 들어가 무서워 떨며 바울과 실라 앞에
부복하고
16:29 And he sent for lights and came rushing in and, shaking with fear, went down on
his face before Paul and Silas,
16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and
fell down before Paul and Silas,
16:30 저희를 데리고 나가 가로되 선생들아 내가 어떻게 하여야 구원을 얻으리이까
하거늘
16:30 And took them out and said, Sirs, what have I to do to get salvation?
16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31 가로되 주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 얻으리라 하고
16:31 And they said, Have faith in the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will have salvation.
16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved,
and your house.
16:32 주의 말씀을 그 사람과 그 집에 있는 모든 사람에게 전하더라
16:32 And they gave the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
16:32 And they spoke unto him the word (o. logos) of the Lord, and to all
that were in his house.
16:33 밤 그 시에 간수가 저희를 데려다가 그 맞은 자리를 씻기고 자기와 그 권속이
다 세례를 받은 후
16:33 And that same hour of the night, he took them, and when he had given attention to
their wounds, he and all his family had baptism straight away.
16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes;
and was baptized, he and all his, immediately.
16:34 저희를 데리고 자기 집에 올라가서 음식을 차려 주고 저와 온 집이 하나님을
믿었으므로 크게 기뻐하니라
16:34 And he took them into his house and gave them food, and he was full of joy, having
faith in God with all his family.
16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them,
and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
16:35 ○ 날이 새매 상관들이 아전을 보내어 이 사람들을 놓으라 하니
16:35 But when it was day, the authorities sent the police, saying, Let these men go.
16:35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, Let
those men go.
16:36 간수가 이 말대로 바울에게 고하되 상관들이 사람을 보내어 너희를 놓으라
하였으니 이제는 나가서 평안히 가라 하거늘
16:36 And the keeper said to Paul, The authorities have given orders to let you go: come
out now, and go in peace.
16:36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying (o. logos) to Paul, The
magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
16:37 바울이 이르되 로마 사람인 우리를 죄도 정치 아니하고 공중 앞에서 때리고
옥에 가두었다가 이제는 가만히 우리를 내어 보내고자 하느냐 아니라 저희가 친히
와서 우리를 데리고 나가야 하리라 한 대
16:37 But Paul said to them, They have given us who are Romans a public whipping without
judging us, and have put us in prison. Will they now send us out secretly? no, truly,
let them come themselves and take us out.
16:37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being
Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privately?
nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
16:38 아전들이 이 말로 상관들에게 고하니 저희가 로마 사람이라 하는 말을 듣고
두려워하여
16:38 And the police gave an account of these words to the authorities, and they were
full of fear on hearing that they were Romans;
16:38 And the sergeants told these words (o. rhema) unto the magistrates:
and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
16:39 와서 권하여 데리고 나가 성에서 떠나기를 청하니
16:39 Then they came and made prayers to them, requesting them, when they had taken them
out, to go away from the town.
16:39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired
them to depart out of the city.
16:40 두 사람이 옥에서 나가 루디아의 집에 들어가서 형제들을 만나 보고 위로하고
가니라
16:40 And they came out of the prison and went to the house of Lydia: and when they had
seen the brothers they gave them comfort and went away.
16:40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia:
and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
17:1 저희가 암비볼리와 아볼로니아로 다녀가 데살로니가에 이르니 거기 유대인의
회당이 있는지라
17:1 Now when they had gone through Amphipolis and Apollonia they came to Thessalonica,
where there was a Synagogue of the Jews:

17:2 바울이 자기의 규례대로 저희에게로 들어가서 세 안식일에 성경을 가지고
강론하며
17:2 And Paul, as he generally did, went in to them, and on three Sabbath days had discussions
with them from the holy Writings,
17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days
reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
17:3 뜻을 풀어 그리스도가 해를 받고 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살아야 할 것을 증명하고
이르되 내가 너희에게 전하는 이 예수가 곧 그리스도라 하니
17:3 Saying to them clearly and openly that Christ had to be put to death and come back
to life again; and that this Jesus, whom, he said, I am preaching to you, is the
Christ.
17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must essentially have suffered, and
risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
17:4 그 중에 어떤 사람 곧 경건한 헬라인의 큰 무리와 적지 않은 귀부인도 권함을
받고 바울과 실라를 좇으나
17:4 And some of them had faith, and were joined to Paul and Silas; and a number of the
God-fearing Greeks, and some of the chief women.
17:4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of
the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
17:5 그러나 유대인들은 시기하여 저자의 어떤 괴악한 사람들을 데리고 떼를 지어
성을 소동케 하여 야손의 집에 달려들어 저희를 백성에게 끌어내려고 찾았으나
17:5 But the Jews, being moved with envy, took with them certain low persons from among
the common people, and getting together a great number of people, made an outcry
in the town, attacking the house of Jason with the purpose of taking them out to
the people.
17:5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain
lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city
on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out
to the people.
17:6 발견치 못하매 야손과 및 형제를 끌고 읍장들 앞에 가서 소리 질러 가로되
천하를 어지럽게 하던 이 사람들이 여기도 이르매
17:6 And when they were not able to get them, they took Jason and some of the brothers
by force before the rulers of the town, crying, These men, who have made trouble
all over the world have now come here;
17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto
the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down
are come here also;
17:7 야손이 들였도다 이 사람들이 다 가이사의 명을 거역하여 말하되 다른 임금
곧 예수라 하는 이가 있다 하더이다 하니
17:7 Whom Jason has taken into his house: and they are acting against the orders of Caesar,
saying that there is another king, Jesus.
17:7 Whom Jason has received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of
Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.
17:8 무리와 읍장들이 이 말을 듣고 소동하여
17:8 And hearing these things the people and the rulers of the town were troubled.
17:8 And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard
these things.
17:9 야손과 그 나머지 사람들에게 보를 받고 놓으니라
17:9 And having made Jason and the others give an undertaking to keep the peace, they
let them go.
17:9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let
them go.
17:10 ○ 밤에 형제들이 곧 바울과 실라를 베뢰아로 보내니 저희가 이르러 유대인의
회당에 들어가니라
17:10 And the brothers straight away sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea: and
they, when they came there, went to the Synagogue of the Jews.
17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto
Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
17:11 베뢰아 사람은 데살로니가에 있는 사람보다 더 신사적이어서 간절한 마음으로
말씀을 받고 이것이 그러한가 하여 날마다 성경을 상고하므로
17:11 Now these were more noble than the Jews of Thessalonica, for they gave serious attention
to the word, searching in the holy Writings every day, to see if these things were
so.
17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received
the word (o. logos) with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures
daily, whether those things were so.
17:12 그 중에 믿는 사람이 많고 또 헬라의 귀부인과 남자가 적지 아니하나
17:12 And a number of them had faith, and no small number of the Greek women of high position
and of the men.
17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were
Greeks, and of men, not a few.
17:13 데살로니가에 있는 유대인들이 바울이 하나님 말씀을 베뢰아에서도 전하는
줄을 알고 거기도 가서 무리를 움직여 소동케 하거늘
17:13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had news that Paul was preaching the word at Beroea,
they came there, troubling the people and working them up.
17:13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word (o. logos)
of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up
the people.
17:14 형제들이 곧 바울을 내어 보내어 바다까지 가게 하되 실라와 디모데는 아직
거기 유하더라
17:14 So the brothers sent Paul straight away to the sea: but Silas and Timothy kept there
still.
17:14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to
the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
17:15 바울을 인도하는 사람들이 데리고 아덴까지 이르러 바울에게서 실라와 디모데를
자기에게로 속히 오게 하라는 명을 받고 떠나니라
17:15 But those who went with Paul took him as far as Athens, and then went away, with
orders from him to Silas and Timothy to come to him quickly.
17:15 And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving
a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus in order to come to him with all speed,
they departed.
17:16 ○ 바울이 아덴에서 저희를 기다리다가 온 성에 우상이 가득한 것을 보고
마음에 분하여
17:16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was troubled, for he saw
all the town full of images of the gods.
17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit (o. pneuma) was
stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
17:17 회당에서는 유대인과 경건한 사람들과 또 저자에서는 날마다 만나는 사람들과
변론하니
17:17 So he had discussions in the Synagogue with the Jews and God-fearing Gentiles, and
every day in the market-place with those who were there.
17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the
devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
17:18 어떤 에비구레오와 스도이고 철학자들도 바울과 쟁론할새 혹은 이르되 이
말장이가 무슨 말을 하고자 하느뇨 하고 혹은 이르되 이방 신들을 전하는 사람인가보다
하니 이는 바울이 예수와 또 몸의 부활 전함을 인함이러라
17:18 And some of those who were supporters of the theories of the Epicureans and the
Stoics, had a meeting with him. And some said, What is this talker of foolish words
saying? And others, He seems to be a preacher of strange gods: because he was preaching
of Jesus and his coming back from the dead.
17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered
him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a
proclaimer of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
17:19 붙들어 가지고 아레오바고로 가며 말하기를 우리가 너의 말하는 이 새 교가
무엇인지 알수 있겠느냐
17:19 And they took him to Mars' Hill, saying, Will you make clear to us what is this
new teaching of yours?
17:19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know
what this new doctrine, whereof you speak, is?
17:20 네가 무슨 이상한 것을 우리 귀에 들려 주니 그 무슨 뜻인지 알고자 하노라
하니
17:20 For you seem to us to say strange things, and we have a desire to get the sense
of them.
17:20 For you bring certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore
what these things mean.
17:21 모든 아덴 사람과 거기서 나그네 된 외국인들이 가장 새로 되는 것을 말하고
듣는 이외에 달리는 시간을 쓰지 않음이더라
17:21 (Now all the Athenians and the men from other lands who come there were giving all
their time to talking or hearing of anything new.)
17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time
in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
17:22 바울이 아레오바고 가운데 서서 말하되 아덴 사람들아 너희를 보니 범사에
종교성이 많도다
17:22 And Paul got to his feet on Mars' Hill and said, O men of Athens, I see that you
are overmuch given to fear of the gods.
17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, All of you men
of Athens, I perceive that in all things all of you are too superstitious.
17:23 내가 두루 다니며 너희의 위하는 것들을 보다가 알지 못하는 신에게라고
새긴 단도 보았으니 그런즉 너희가 알지 못하고 위하는 그것을 내가 너희에게 알게
하리라
17:23 For when I came by, I was looking at the things to which you give worship, and I
saw an altar with this writing on it, TO THE GOD OF WHOM THERE IS NO KNOWLEDGE.
Now, what you, without knowledge, give worship to, I make clear to you.
17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with
this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore all of you ignorantly worship,
him declare I unto you.
17:24 우주와 그 가운데 있는 만유를 지으신 신께서는 천지의 주재시니 손으로
지은 전에 계시지 아니하시고
17:24 The God who made the earth and everything in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth,
is not housed in buildings made with hands;
17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;
17:25 또 무엇이 부족한 것처럼 사람의 손으로 섬김을 받으시는 것이 아니니 이는
만민에게 생명과 호흡과 만물을 친히 주시는 자이심이라
17:25 And he is not dependent on the work of men's hands, as if he had need of anything,
for he himself gives to all life and breath and all things;
17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;
17:26 인류의 모든 족속을 한 혈통으로 만드사 온 땅에 거하게 하시고 저희의
연대를 정하시며 거주의 경계를 한하셨으니
17:26 And he has made of one blood all the nations of men living on all the face of the
earth, ordering their times and the limits of their lands,
17:26 And has made of one blood all nations of men in order to dwell on all
the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation;
17:27 이는 사람으로 하나님을 혹 더듬어 찾아 발견케 하려 하심이로되 그는 우리
각 사람에게서 멀리 떠나 계시지 아니하도다
17:27 So that they might make search for God, in order, if possible, to get knowledge
of him and make discovery of him, though he is not far from every one of us:
17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if lest by any means they might feel
after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
17:28 우리가 그를 힘입어 살며 기동하며 있느니라 너희 시인 중에도 어떤 사람들의
말과 같이 우리가 그의 소생이라 하니
17:28 For in him we have life and motion and existence; as certain of your verse writers
have said, For we are his offspring.
17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of
your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
17:29 이와 같이 신의 소생이 되었은즉 신을 금이나 은이나 돌에다 사람의 기술과
고안으로 새긴 것들과 같이 여길 것이 아니니라
17:29 If then we are the offspring of God, it is not right for us to have the idea that
God is like gold or silver or stone, formed by the art or design of man.
17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think
that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by are and man's
device.
17:30 알지 못하던 시대에는 하나님이 허물치 아니하셨거니와 이제는 어디든지
사람을 다 명하사 회개하라 하셨으니
17:30 Those times when men had no knowledge were overlooked by God; but now he gives orders
to all men in every place to undergo a change of heart:
17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all
men every where to repent:
17:31 이는 정하신 사람으로 하여금 천하를 공의로 심판할 날을 작정하시고 이에
저를 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리신 것으로 모든 사람에게 믿을 만한 증거를 주셨음이니라
하니라
17:31 Because a day has been fixed in which all the world will be judged in righteousness
by the man who has been marked out by him for this work; of which he has given a
sign to all men by giving him back from the dead.
17:31 Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance
unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.
17:32 ○ 저희가 죽은 자의 부활을 듣고 혹은 기롱도 하고 혹은 이 일에 대하여
네 말을 다시 듣겠다 하니
17:32 Now on hearing about the coming back from death, some of them made sport of it,
but others said, Let us go more fully into this another time.
17:32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and
others said, We will hear you again of this matter.
17:33 이에 바울이 저희 가운데서 떠나매
17:33 And so Paul went away from among them.
17:33 So Paul departed from among them.
17:34 몇 사람이 그를 친하여 믿으니 그 중 아레오바고 관원 디오누시오와 다마리라
하는 여자와 또 다른 사람들도 있었더라
17:34 But some men gave him their support: among whom was Dionysius the Areopagite, and
a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
17:34 Nevertheless certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which
was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
18:1 이 후에 바울이 아덴을 떠나 고린도에 이르러
18:1 After these things, he went away from Athens, and came to Corinth.
18:1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
18:2 아굴라라 하는 본도에서 난 유대인 하나를 만나니 글라우디오가 모든 유대인을
명하여 로마에서 떠나라 한 고로 그가 그 아내 브리스길라와 함께 이달리야로부터
새로 온지라 바울이 그들에게 가매
18:2 And there he came across a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by birth, who
not long before had come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had
given orders that all Jews were to go away from Rome: and he came to them;
18:2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from
Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews
to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
18:3 업이 같으므로 함께 거하여 일을 하니 그 업은 장막을 만드는 것이더라
18:3 And because he was of the same trade, he was living with them, and they did their
work together; for by trade they were tent-makers.
18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought:
for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
18:4 안식일마다 바울이 회당에서 강론하고 유대인과 헬라인을 권면하니라
18:4 And every Sabbath he had discussions in the Synagogue, turning Jews and Greeks to
the faith.
18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews
and the Greeks.
18:5 ○ 실라와 디모데가 마게도냐로서 내려오매 바울이 하나님의 말씀에 붙잡혀
유대인들에게 예수는 그리스도라 밝히 증거하니
18:5 And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was completely given up
to the word, preaching to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.
18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed
in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
18:6 저희가 대적하여 훼방하거늘 바울이 옷을 떨어 가로되 너희 피가 너희 머리로
돌아갈 것이요 나는 깨끗하니라 이 후에는 이방인에게로 가리라 하고
18:6 And when they put themselves against him, and said evil words, he said, shaking
his clothing, Your blood be on your heads, I am clean: from now I will go to the
Gentiles.
18:6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment,
and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth
I will go unto the Gentiles.
18:7 거기서 옮겨 하나님을 공경하는 디도 유스도라 하는 사람의 집에 들어가니
그 집이 회당 옆이라
18:7 And moving from there, he went into the house of a man named Titus Justus, a God-fearing
man, whose house was very near the Synagogue.
18:7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named
Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
18:8 또 회당장 그리스보가 온 집으로 더불어 주를 믿으며 수다한 고린도 사람도
듣고 믿어 세례를 받더라
18:8 And Crispus, the ruler of the Synagogue, with all his family, had faith in the Lord;
and a great number of the people of Corinth, hearing the word, had faith and were
given baptism.
18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord
with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
18:9 밤에 주께서 환상 가운데 바울에게 말씀하시되 두려워하지 말며 잠잠하지
말고 말하라
18:9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night, in a vision, Have no fear and go on preaching:
18:9 Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid,
but speak, and hold not your peace:
18:10 내가 너와 함께 있으매 아무 사람도 너를 대적하여 해롭게 할 자가 없을
것이니 이는 이 성중에 내 백성이 많음이라 하시더라
18:10 For I am with you, and no one will make an attack on you to do you damage: for I
have a number of people in this town.
18:10 For I am with you, and no man shall set on you to hurt you: for I have
much people in this city.
18:11 일 년 육 개월을 유하며 그들 가운데서 하나님의 말씀을 가르치니라
18:11 And he was there for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
18:11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word (o.
logos) of God among them.
18:12 ○ 갈리오가 아가야 총독 되었을 때에 유대인이 일제히 일어나 바울을 대적하여
재판 자리로 데리고 와서
18:12 But when Gallio was ruler of Achaia, all the Jews together made an attack on Paul,
and took him to the judge's seat,
18:12 And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection
with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
18:13 말하되 이 사람이 율법을 어기어 하나님을 공경하라고 사람들을 권한다
하거늘
18:13 Saying, This man is teaching the people to give worship to God in a way which is
against the law.
18:13 Saying, This fellow persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.
18:14 바울이 입을 열고자 할 때에 갈리오가 유대인들에게 이르되 너희 유대인들아
만일 무슨 부정한 일이나 괴악한 행동이었으면 내가 너희 말을 들어 주는 것이 가하거니와
18:14 But when Paul was about to say something, Gallio said to the Jews, If this was anything
to do with wrongdoing or crime, there would be a reason for me to give you a hearing:
18:14 And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the
Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O all of you Jews, reason
(o. logos) would that I should bear with you:
18:15 만일 문제가 언어와 명칭과 너희 법에 관한 것이면 너희가 스스로 처리하라
나는 이러한 일에 재판장 되기를 원치 아니하노라 하고
18:15 But if it is a question of words or names or of your law, see to it yourselves;
I will not be a judge of such things.
18:15 But if it be a question of words (o. logos) and names, and of your
law, look all of you to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.
18:16 저희를 재판 자리에서 쫓아내니
18:16 And he sent them away from the judge's seat.
18:16 And he drove them from the judgment seat.
18:17 모든 사람이 회당장 소스데네를 잡아 재판 자리 앞에서 때리되 갈리오가
이 일을 상관치 아니하니라
18:17 And they all made an attack on Sosthenes, the ruler of the Synagogue, and gave him
blows before the judge's seat; but Gallio gave no attention to these things.
18:17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue,
and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
18:18 ○ 바울은 더 여러 날 유하다가 형제들을 작별하고 배 타고 수리아로 떠나갈새
브리스길라와 아굴라도 함께 하더라 바울이 일찍 서원이 있으므로 겐그레아에서 머리를
깎았더라
18:18 And Paul, after waiting some days, went away from the brothers and went by ship
to Syria, Priscilla and Aquila being with him; and he had had his hair cut off in
Cenchrea, for he had taken an oath.
18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his
leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla
and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
18:19 에베소에 와서 저희를 거기 머물러 두고 자기는 회당에 들어가서 유대인들과
변론하니
18:19 And they came down to Ephesus and he left them there: and he himself went into the
Synagogue and had a discussion with the Jews.
18:19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered
into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
18:20 여러 사람이 더 오래 있기를 청하되 허락지 아니하고
18:20 And being requested by them to be there for a longer time, he said, No;
18:20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented
not;
18:21 작별하여 가로되 만일 하나님의 뜻이면 너희에게 돌아오리라 하고 배를
타고 에베소를 떠나
18:21 And went from them, saying, I will come back to you if God lets me; and he took
ship from Ephesus.
18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast
that comes in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And
he sailed from Ephesus.
18:22 가이사랴에서 상륙하여 올라가 교회의 안부를 물은 후에 안디옥으로 내려가서
18:22 And when he had come to land at Caesarea, he went to see the church, and then went
down to Antioch.
18:22 And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church,
he went down to Antioch.
18:23 얼마 있다가 떠나 갈라디아와 브루기아 땅을 차례로 다니며 모든 제자를
굳게 하니라
18:23 And having been there for some time, he went through the country of Galatia and
Phrygia in order, making the disciples strong in the faith.
18:23 And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over
all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
18:24 ○ 알렉산드리아에서 난 아볼로라 하는 유대인이 에베소에 이르니 이 사람은
학문이 많고 성경에 능한 자라
18:24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, and a man of learning,
came to Ephesus; and he had great knowledge of the holy Writings.
18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man,
and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
18:25 그가 일찍 주의 도를 배워 열심으로 예수에 관한 것을 자세히 말하며 가르치나
요한의 세례만 알 따름이라
18:25 This man had been trained in the way of the Lord; and burning in spirit, he gave
himself up to teaching the facts about Jesus, though he had knowledge only of John's
baptism:
18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in
the spirit, (o. pneuma) he spoke and taught diligently the things of the Lord,
knowing only the baptism of John.
18:26 그가 회당에서 담대히 말하기를 시작하거늘 브리스길라와 아굴라가 듣고
데려다가 하나님의 도를 더 자세히 풀어 이르더라
18:26 And he was preaching in the Synagogue without fear. But Priscilla and Aquila, hearing
his words, took him in, and gave him fuller teaching about the way of God.
18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and
Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way
of God more perfectly.
18:27 아볼로가 아가야로 건너가고자 하니 형제들이 저를 장려하며 제자들에게
편지하여 영접하라 하였더니 저가 가매 은혜로 말미암아 믿은 자들에게 많은 유익을
주니
18:27 And when he had a desire to go over into Achaia, the brothers gave him help, and
sent letters to the disciples requesting them to take him in among them: and when
he had come, he gave much help to those who had faith through grace:
18:27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting
the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which
had believed through grace:
18:28 이는 성경으로써 예수는 그리스도라고 증거하여 공중 앞에서 유력하게 유대인의
말을 이김일러라
18:28 For he overcame the Jews in public discussion, making clear from the holy Writings
that the Christ was Jesus.
18:28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the
scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
