33:1 그런즉 욥이여 내 말을 들으며 나의 모든 말에 귀를 기울이기를 원하노라
33:1 And now, O Job, give ear to my words, and take note of all I say.
33:1 Wherefore, Job, I pray you, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my
words.
33:2 내가 입을 여니 내 혀가 입에서 동하는구나
33:2 See, now my mouth is open, my tongue gives out words.
33:2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue has spoken in my mouth.
33:3 내 말이 내 마음의 정직함을 나타내고 내 입술이 아는 바를 진실히 말하리라
33:3 My heart is overflowing with knowledge, my lips say what is true.
33:3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall
utter knowledge clearly.
33:4 하나님의 신이 나를 지으셨고 전능자의 기운이 나를 살리시느니라
33:4 The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Ruler of all gives me life.
33:4 The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given
me life.
33:5 네가 할 수 있거든 일어서서 내게 대답하고 내 앞에 진술하라
33:5 If you are able, give me an answer; put your cause in order, and come forward.
33:5 If you can answer me, set your words in order before me, stand up.
33:6 나와 네가 하나님 앞에서 일반이니 나도 흙으로 지으심을 입었은즉
33:6 See, I am the same as you are in the eyes of God; I was cut off from the same bit
of wet earth.
33:6 Behold, I am according to your wish in God's position: I also am formed
out of the clay.
33:7 내 위엄으로는 너를 두렵게 하지 못하고 내 권세로는 너를 누르지 못하느니라
33:7 Fear of me will not overcome you, and my hand will not be hard on you.
33:7 Behold, my terror shall not make you afraid, neither shall my hand be
heavy upon you.
33:8 ○ 네가 실로 나의 듣는데 말하였고 나는 네 말소리를 들었느니라 이르기를
33:8 But you said in my hearing, and your voice came to my ears:
33:8 Surely you have spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of
your words, saying,
33:9 나는 깨끗하여 죄가 없고 허물이 없으며 불의도 없거늘
33:9 I am clean, without sin; I am washed, and there is no evil in me:
33:9 I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity
in me.
33:10 하나님이 나를 칠 틈을 찾으시며 나를 대적으로 여기사
33:10 See, he is looking for something against me; in his eyes I am as one of his haters;
33:10 Behold, he finds occasions against me, he counts me for his enemy,
33:11 내 발을 착고에 채우시고 나의 모든 길을 감시하신다 하였느니라
33:11 He puts chains on my feet; he is watching all my ways.
33:11 He puts my feet in the stocks, he marks all my paths.
33:12 내가 네게 대답하리라 이 말에 네가 의롭지 못하니 하나님은 사람보다 크심이니라
33:12 Truly, in saying this you are wrong; for God is greater than man.
33:12 Behold, in this you are not just: I will answer you, that God is greater
than man.
33:13 ○ 하나님은 모든 행하시는 것을 스스로 진술치 아니하시나니 네가 하나님과
변쟁함은 어찜이뇨
33:13 Why do you put forward your cause against him, saying, He gives no answer to any
of my words?
33:13 Why do you strive against him? for he gives not account of any of his
matters.
33:14 사람은 무관히 여겨도 하나님은 한 번 말씀하시고 다시 말씀하시되
33:14 For God gives his word in one way, even in two, and man is not conscious of it:
33:14 For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not.
33:15 사람이 침상에서 졸며 깊이 잠들 때에나 꿈에나 밤의 이상 중에
33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep comes on men, while they take
their rest on their beds;
33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men,
in slumberings upon the bed;
33:16 사람의 귀를 여시고 인치듯 교훈하시나니
33:16 Then he makes his secrets clear to men, so that they are full of fear at what they
see;
33:16 Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction,
33:17 이는 사람으로 그 꾀를 버리게 하려 하심이며 사람에게 교만을 막으려 하심이라
33:17 In order that man may be turned from his evil works, and that pride may be taken
away from him;
33:17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
33:18 그는 사람의 혼으로 구덩이에 빠지지 않게 하시며 그 생명으로 칼에 멸망치
않게 하시느니라
33:18 To keep back his soul from the underworld, and his life from destruction.
33:18 He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by
the sword.
33:19 ○ 혹시는 사람이 병상의 고통과 뼈가 늘 쑤심의 징계를 받나니
33:19 Pain is sent on him as a punishment, while he is on his bed; there is no end to
the trouble in his bones;
33:19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his
bones with strong pain:
33:20 그의 마음은 식물을 싫어하고 그의 혼은 별미를 싫어하며
33:20 He has no desire for food, and his soul is turned away from delicate meat;
33:20 So that his life detests bread, and his soul dainty food.
33:21 그의 살은 파리하여 보이지 아니하고 보이지 않던 뼈가 드러나서
33:21 His flesh is so wasted away, that it may not be seen, and his bones. ...
33:21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that
were not seen stick out.
33:22 그의 혼이 구덩이에, 그의 생명이 멸하는 자에게 가까워지느니라
33:22 And his soul comes near to the underworld, and his life to the angels of death.
33:22 Yea, his soul draws near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
33:23 ○ 그럴 때에 만일 일천 천사 가운데 하나가 그 사람의 해석자로 함께 있어서
그 정당히 행할 것을 보일진대
33:23 If now there may be an angel sent to him, one of the thousands which there are to
be between him and God, and to make clear to man what is right for him;
33:23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand,
to show unto man his uprightness:
33:24 하나님이 그 사람을 긍휼히 여기사 이르시기를 그를 건져서 구덩이에 내려가지
않게 하라 내가 대속물을 얻었다 하시리라
33:24 And if he has mercy on him, and says, Let him not go down to the underworld, I have
given the price for his life:
33:24 Then he is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down
to the pit: I have found a ransom.
33:25 그런즉 그 살이 어린 아이보다 연하여져서 소년 때를 회복할 것이요
33:25 Then his flesh becomes young again, and he comes back to the days of his early strength;
33:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days
of his youth:
33:26 그는 하나님께 기도하므로 하나님이 은혜를 베푸사 그로 자기의 얼굴을
즐거이 보게 하시고 사람에게 그 의를 회복시키시느니라
33:26 He makes his prayer to God, and he has mercy on him; he sees God's face with cries
of joy; he gives news of his righteousness to men;
33:26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he
shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
33:27 그가 사람 앞에서 노래하여 이르기를 내가 전에 범죄하여 시비를 바꾸었으나
내게 무익하였었구나
33:27 He makes a song, saying, I did wrong, turning from the straight way, but he did
not give me the reward of my sin.
33:27 He looks upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that
which was right, and it profited me not;
33:28 ○ 하나님이 내 영혼을 건지사 구덩이에 내려가지 않게 하셨으니 내 생명이
빛을 보겠구나 하리라
33:28 He kept my soul from the underworld, and my life sees the light in full measure.
33:28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall
see the light.
33:29 하나님이 사람에게 이 모든 일을 재삼 행하심은
33:29 Truly, God does all these things to man, twice and three times,
33:29 Lo, all these things works God oftentimes with man,
33:30 그 영혼을 구덩이에서 끌어 돌이키고 생명의 빛으로 그에게 비취려 하심이니라
33:30 Keeping back his soul from the underworld, so that he may see the light of life.
33:30 To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light
of the living.
33:31 욥이여 귀를 기울여 내게 들으라 잠잠하라 내가 말하리라
33:31 Take note O Job, give ear to me; keep quiet, while I say what is in my mind.
33:31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold your peace, and I will speak.
33:32 만일 할 말이 있거든 대답하라 내가 너를 의롭게 하려 하노니 말하라
33:32 If you have anything to say, give me an answer; for it is my desire that you may
be judged free from sin.
33:32 If you have anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify
you.
33:33 만일 없으면 내 말을 들으라 잠잠하라 내가 지혜로 너를 가르치리라
33:33 If not, give attention to me, and keep quiet, and I will give you wisdom.
33:33 If not, hearken unto me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.
34:1 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
34:1 And Elihu made answer and said,
34:1 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
34:2 지혜 있는 자들아 내 말을 들으며 지식 있는 자들아 내게 귀를 기울이라
34:2 Give ear, you wise, to my words; and you who have knowledge, give attention to me;
34:2 Hear my words, O all of you wise men; and give ear unto me, all of you
that have knowledge.
34:3 입이 식물의 맛을 변별함 같이 귀가 말을 분별하나니
34:3 For words are tested by the ear, as food is tasted by the mouth.
34:3 For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes food.
34:4 우리가 스스로 옳은 것은 택하고 무엇이 선한가 우리끼리 알아보자
34:4 Let us make the decision for ourselves as to what is right; let us have the knowledge
among ourselves of what is good.
34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
34:5 욥이 말하기를 내가 의로우나 하나님이 내 의를 제하셨고
34:5 For Job has said, I am upright, and it is God who has taken away my right;
34:5 For Job has said, I am righteous: and God has taken away my judgment.
34:6 내가 정직하나 거짓말장이가 되었고 나는 허물이 없으나 내 상처가 낫지
못하게 되었노라 하니
34:6 Though I am right, still I am in pain; my wound may not be made well, though I have
done no wrong.
34:6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
34:7 어느 사람이 욥과 같으랴 욥이 훼방하기를 물마시듯 하며
34:7 What man is like Job, a man who freely makes sport of God,
34:7 What man is like Job, who drinks up scorning like water?
34:8 악한 일을 하는 자들과 사귀며 악인과 함께 다니면서
34:8 And goes in the company of evil-doers, walking in the way of sinners?
34:8 Which goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked
men.
34:9 이르기를 사람이 하나님을 기뻐하나 무익하다 하는구나
34:9 For he has said, It is no profit to a man to take delight in God.
34:9 For he has said, It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself
with God.
34:10 ○ 그러므로 너희 총명한 자들아 내 말을 들으라 하나님은 단정코 악을
행치 아니하시며 전능자는 단정코 불의를 행치 아니하시고
34:10 Now then, you wise, take note; you men of knowledge, give ear to me. Let it be far
from God to do evil, and from the Ruler of all to do wrong.
34:10 Therefore hearken unto me all of you men of understanding: far be it
from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should
commit iniquity.
34:11 사람의 일을 따라 보응하사 각각 그 행위대로 얻게 하시나니
34:11 For he gives to every man the reward of his work, and sees that he gets the fruit
of his ways.
34:11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man
to find according to his ways.
34:12 진실로 하나님은 악을 행치 아니하시며 전능자는 공의를 굽히지 아니하시느니라
34:12 Truly, God does not do evil, and the Ruler of all is not a false judge.
34:12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert
judgment.
34:13 누가 땅을 그에게 맡겼느냐 누가 온 세계를 정하였느냐
34:13 Who put the earth into his care, or made him responsible for the world?
34:13 Who has given him a charge over the earth? or who has disposed the
whole world?
34:14 그가 만일 자기만 생각하시고 그 신과 기운을 거두실진대
34:14 If he made his spirit come back to him, taking his breath into himself again,
34:14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit
and his breath;
34:15 모든 혈기 있는 자가 일체로 망하고 사람도 진토로 돌아가리라
34:15 All flesh would come to an end together, and man would go back to the dust.
34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return unto dust.
34:16 ○ 만일 총명이 있거든 이것을 들으며 내 말소리에 귀를 기울이라
34:16 If you are wise, take note of this; give ear to the voice of my words.
34:16 If now you have understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my
words.
34:17 공의를 미워하는 자시면 어찌 치리하시겠느냐 의롭고 전능하신 자를 네가
정죄하겠느냐
34:17 How may a hater of right be a ruler? and will you say that the upright Ruler of
all is evil?
34:17 Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that
is most just?
34:18 그는 왕에게라도 비루하다 하시며 귀인들에게라도 악하다 하시며
34:18 He who says to a king, You are an evil-doer; and to rulers, You are sinners;
34:18 Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, All of
you are ungodly?
34:19 왕족을 외모로 취치 아니하시며 부자를 가난한 자보다 더 생각하지 아니하시나니
이는 그들이 다 그의 손으로 지으신 바가 됨이니라
34:19 Who has no respect for rulers, and who gives no more attention to those who have
wealth than to the poor, for they are all the work of his hands.
34:19 How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards
the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
34:20 그들은 밤중 순식간에 죽나니 백성은 떨며 없어지고 세력 있는 자도 사람의
손을 대지 않고 제함을 당하느니라
34:20 Suddenly they come to an end, even in the middle of the night: the blow comes on
the men of wealth, and they are gone, and the strong are taken away without the
hand of man.
34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight,
and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
34:21 ○ 하나님은 사람의 길을 주목하시며 사람의 모든 걸음을 감찰하시나니
34:21 For his eyes are on the ways of a man, and he sees all his steps.
34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his activities.
34:22 악을 행한 자는 숨을 만한 흑암이나 어두운 그늘이 없느니라
34:22 There is no dark place, and no thick cloud, in which the workers of evil may take
cover.
34:22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity
may hide themselves.
34:23 하나님은 사람을 심판하시기에 오래 생각하실 것이 없으시니
34:23 For he does not give man a fixed time to come before him to be judged.
34:23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter
into judgment with God.
34:24 세력 있는 자를 조사할 것 없이 꺾으시고 다른 사람을 세워 그를 대신하게
하시느니라
34:24 He sends the strong to destruction without searching out their cause, and puts others
in their place.
34:24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others
in their position.
34:25 이와 같이 그들의 행위를 아시고 그들을 밤 사이에 엎으신즉 멸망하나니
34:25 For he has knowledge of their works, overturning them in the night, so that they
are crushed.
34:25 Therefore he knows their works, and he overturns them in the night,
so that they are destroyed.
34:26 그들을 악한 자로 여겨 사람의 목전에서 치심은
34:26 The evil-doers are broken by his wrath, he puts his hand on them with force before
the eyes of all onlookers.
34:26 He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
34:27 그들이 그를 떠나고 그의 모든 길을 무관히 여김이라
34:27 Because they did not go after him, and took no note of his ways,
34:27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his
ways:
34:28 그들이 이와 같이 하여 가난한 자의 부르짖음이 그에게 상달케 하며 환난
받는 자의 부르짖음이 그에게 들리게 하느니라
34:28 So that the cry of the poor might come up to him, and the prayer of those in need
come to his ears.
34:28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he hears
the cry of the afflicted.
34:29 주께서 사람에게 평강을 주실 때에 누가 감히 잘못하신다 하겠느냐 주께서
자기 얼굴을 가리우실 때에 누가 감히 뵈올 수 있으랴 나라에게나 사람에게나 일반이시니
34:29 ...
34:29 When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hides
his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against
a man only:
34:30 이는 사특한 자로 권세를 잡아 백성을 함해하지 못하게 하려 하심이니라
34:30 ...
34:30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
34:31 ○ 누가 하나님께 아뢰기를 내가 징계를 받았사오니 다시는 범죄치 아니하겠나이다
34:31 ...
34:31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I
will not offend any more:
34:32 나의 깨닫지 못하는 것을 내게 가르치소서 내가 악을 행하였으면 다시는
아니하겠나이다 한 자가 있느냐
34:32 ...
34:32 That which I see not teach you me: if I have done iniquity, I will
do no more.
34:33 하나님이 네 뜻대로 갚으셔야 하겠다고 네가 그것을 싫어하느냐 그러면
네가 스스로 택할 것이요 내가 할 것이 아니니 너는 아는 대로 말하라
34:33 ...
34:33 Should it be according to your mind? he will recompense it, whether
you refuse, or whether you choose; and not I: therefore speak what you know.
34:34 총명한 자와 내 말을 듣는 모든 지혜 있는 자가 필연 내게 이르기를
34:34 Men of knowledge, and all wise men, hearing me, will say,
34:34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
34:35 욥이 무식하게 말하니 그 말이 지혜 없다 하리라
34:35 Job's words do not come from knowledge; they are not the fruit of wisdom.
34:35 Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
34:36 욥이 끝까지 시험 받기를 내가 원하노니 이는 그 대답이 악인과 같음이라
34:36 May Job be tested to the end, because his answers have been like those of evil men.
34:36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers
for wicked men.
34:37 그가 그 죄 위에 패역을 더하며 우리 중에서 손뼉을 치며 하나님을 거역하는
말을 많이 하는구나
34:37 For in addition to his sin, he is uncontrolled in heart; before our eyes he makes
sport of God, increasing his words against him.
34:37 For he adds rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us, and
multiplies his words against God.
35:1 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
35:1 And Elihu made answer and said,
35:1 Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
35:2 네가 이것을 합리하게 여기느냐 네 생각에 네가 하나님보다 의롭다 하여
35:2 Does it seem to you to be right, and righteousness before God, to say,
35:2 Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more
than God's?
35:3 이르기를 유익이 무엇인고 범죄한 것보다 내게 이익이 무엇인고 하는구나
35:3 What profit is it to me, and how am I better off than if I had done wrong?
35:3 For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall
I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
35:4 내가 너와 및 너와 함께 있는 네 동무들에게 대답하리라
35:4 I will make answer to you and to your friends:
35:4 I will answer you, and your companions with you.
35:5 너는 하늘을 우러러 보라 네 위의 높은 궁창을 바라보라
35:5 Let your eyes be turned to the heavens, and lifted up to see the skies; they are
higher than you.
35:5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher
than you.
35:6 네가 범죄한들 하나님께 무슨 영향이 있겠으며 네 죄악이 관영한들 하나님께
무슨 관계가 있겠으며
35:6 If you have done wrong, is he any the worse for it? and if your sins are great in
number, what is it to him?
35:6 If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied,
what do you unto him?
35:7 네가 의로운들 하나님께 무엇을 드리겠으며 그가 네 손에서 무엇을 받으시겠느냐
35:7 If you are upright, what do you give to him? or what does he take from your hand?
35:7 If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of yours
hand?
35:8 네 악은 너와 같은 사람이나 해할 따름이요 네 의는 인생이나 유익하게 할
뿐이니라
35:8 Your evil-doing may have an effect on a man like yourself, or your righteousness
on a son of man.
35:8 Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may
profit the son of man.
35:9 ○ 사람은 학대가 많으므로 부르짖으며 세력 있는 자의 팔에 눌리므로 도움을
부르짖으나
35:9 Because the hand of the cruel is hard on them, men are making sounds of grief; they
are crying out for help because of the arm of the strong.
35:9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to
cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
35:10 나를 지으신 하나님 곧 사람으로 밤중에 노래하게 하시며 우리를 교육하시기를
땅의 짐승에게 하심보다 더하게 하시며 우리에게 지혜 주시기를 공중의 새에게 주심보다
더하시는 이가 어디 계신가 말하는 자가 한 사람도 없구나
35:10 But no one has said, Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night;
35:10 But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
35:11 {상동}
35:11 Who gives us more knowledge than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than
the birds of the heaven?
35:11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser
than the fowls of heaven?
35:12 그들이 악인의 교만을 인하여 거기서 부르짖으나 응락하는 자가 없음은
35:12 There they are crying out because of the pride of the evil-doers, but he gives them
no answer.
35:12 There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil
men.
35:13 헛된 부르짖음은 하나님이 결코 듣지 아니하시며 전능자가 돌아보지 아니하심이라
35:13 But God will not give ear to what is false, or the Ruler of all take note of it;
35:13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
35:14 하물며 말하기를 하나님은 뵈올 수 없고 일의 시비는 그 앞에 있으니 나는
그를 기다릴 뿐이라 하는 너랴
35:14 How much less when you say that you do not see him; that the cause is before him,
and you are waiting for him.
35:14 Although you says you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him;
therefore trust you in him.
35:15 하나님이 진노하심으로 벌을 주지 아니하셨고 횡포를 심히 살피지 아니하셨으므로
35:15 And now ... ;
35:15 But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he
knows it not in great extremity:
35:16 이제 너 욥이 헛되이 입을 열어 지식 없는 말을 많이 하는구나
35:16 And Job's mouth is open wide to give out what is of no profit, increasing words
without knowledge.
35:16 Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without
knowledge.
36:1 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
36:1 And Elihu went on to say,
36:1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
36:2 나를 잠간 용납하라 내가 네게 보이리니 이는 내가 하나님을 위하여 오히려
할 말이 있음이라
36:2 Give me a little more time, and I will make it clear to you; for I have still something
to say for God.
36:2 Suffer me a little, and I will show you that I have yet to speak on
God's behalf.
36:3 내가 먼 데서 지식을 취하고 나를 지으신 자에게 의를 돌려보내리라
36:3 I will get my knowledge from far, and I will give righteousness to my Maker.
36:3 I will fetch my knowledge from far, and will ascribe righteousness to
my Maker.
36:4 진실로 내 말이 거짓이 아니라 지식이 구비한 자가 너와 함께 있느니라
36:4 For truly my words are not false; one who has all knowledge is talking with you.
36:4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge
is with you.
36:5 하나님은 전능하시나 아무도 멸시치 아니하시며 그 지능이 무궁하사
36:5 Truly, God gives up the hard-hearted, and will not give life to the sinner.
36:5 Behold, God is mighty, and despises not any: he is mighty in strength
and wisdom.
36:6 악인을 살려두지 않으시며 고난 받는 자를 위하여 신원하시며
36:6 His eyes are ever on the upright, and he gives to the crushed their right;
36:6 He perserves not the life of the wicked: but gives right to the poor.
36:7 그 눈을 의인에게서 돌이키지 아니하시고 그를 왕과 함께 영원히 위에 앉히사
존귀하게 하시며
36:7 Lifting them up to the seat of kings, and making them safe for ever.
36:7 He withdraws not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they
on the throne; yea, he does establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
36:8 혹시 그들이 누설에 매이거나 환난의 줄에 얽혔으면
36:8 And if they have been prisoned in chains, and taken in cords of trouble,
36:8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be held in cords of affliction;
36:9 그들의 소행과 허물을 보이사 그 교만한 행위를 알게 하시고
36:9 Then he makes clear to them what they have done, even their evil works in which
they have taken pride.
36:9 Then he shows them their work, and their transgressions that they have
exceeded.
36:10 그들의 귀를 열어 교훈을 듣게 하시며 명하여 죄악에서 돌아오게 하시나니
36:10 Their ear is open to his teaching, and he gives them orders so that their hearts
may be turned from evil.
36:10 He opens also their ear to discipline, and commands that they return
from iniquity.
36:11 만일 그들이 청종하여 섬기면 형통히 날을 보내며 즐거이 해를 지낼 것이요
36:11 If they give ear to his voice, and do his word, then he gives them long life, and
years full of pleasure.
36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasures.
36:12 만일 그들이 청종치 아니하면 칼에 망하며 지식 없이 죽을 것이니라
36:12 But if not, they come to their end, and give up their breath without knowledge.
36:12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall
die without knowledge.
36:13 마음이 사곡한 자들은 분노를 쌓으며 하나님께 속박을 받을지라도 도우심을
구하지 아니하나니
36:13 Those who have no fear of God keep wrath stored up in their hearts; they give no
cry for help when they are made prisoners.
36:13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he binds
them.
36:14 그들은 젊어서 죽으며 그 생명이 남창과 함께 망하려니와
36:14 They come to their end while they are still young, their life is short like that
of those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of their gods.
36:14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
36:15 하나님은 곤고한 자를 그 곤고할 즈음에 구원하시며 학대 당할 즈음에 그
귀를 여시나니
36:15 He makes the wrong done to the poor the way of their salvation, opening their ears
by their trouble.
36:15 He delivers the poor in his affliction, and opens their ears in oppression.
36:16 그러므로 하나님이 너를 곤고함에서 이끌어 내사 좁지 않고 넓은 곳으로
옮기려 하셨은즉 무릇 네 상에 차린 것은 살진 것이 되었으리라
36:16 ...
36:16 Even so would he have removed you out of the strait into a broad place,
where there is no strictness; and that which should be set on your table should
be full of fatness.
36:17 ○ 이제는 악인의 받을 벌이 네게 가득하였고 심판과 공의가 너를 잡았나니
36:17 ...
36:17 But you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice
take hold on you.
36:18 너는 분격함을 인하여 징책을 대적하지 말라 대속함을 얻을 일이 큰즉 스스로
그릇되게 말지니라
36:18 ...
36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take you away with his stroke:
then a great ransom cannot deliver you.
36:19 너의 부르짖음이나 너의 세력이 어찌 능히 너의 곤고한 가운데서 너로 유익하게
하겠느냐
36:19 ...
36:19 Will he esteem your riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
36:20 너는 밤 곧 인생이 자기 곳에서 제함을 받는 때를 사모하지 말 것이니라
36:20 ...
36:20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
36:21 삼가 악으로 치우치지 말라 네가 환난보다 이것을 택하였느니라
36:21 Take care not to be turned to sin, for you have taken evil for your part in place
of sorrow.
36:21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this have you chosen rather than
affliction.
36:22 하나님은 그 권능으로 큰 일을 행하시나니 누가 그 같이 교훈을 베풀겠느냐
36:22 Truly God is lifted up in strength; who is a ruler like him?
36:22 Behold, God exalts by his power: who teaches like him?
36:23 누가 그를 위하여 그의 길을 정하였느냐 누가 말하기를 주께서 불의를 행하셨나이다
할 수 있으랴
36:23 Who ever gave orders to him, or said to him, You have done wrong?
36:23 Who has commanded with authority him his way? or who can say, You have
wrought iniquity?
36:24 ○ 너는 하나님의 하신 일 찬송하기를 잊지 말지니라 인생이 그 일을 노래하였느니라
36:24 See that you give praise to his work, about which men make songs.
36:24 Remember that you magnify his work, which men behold.
36:25 그 일을 모든 사람이 우러러 보나니 먼 데서도 보느니라
36:25 All people are looking on it; man sees it from far.
36:25 Every man may see it; man may behold it far off.
36:26 하나님은 크시니 우리가 그를 알 수 없고 그 년수를 계산할 수 없느니라
36:26 Truly, God is great, greater than all our knowledge; the number of his years may
not be searched out.
36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of
his years be searched out.
36:27 그가 물을 가늘게 이끌어 올리신즉 그것이 안개 되어 비를 이루고
36:27 For he takes up the drops from the sea; he sends them through his mist as rain,
36:27 For he makes small the drops of water: they pour down rain according
to the vapour thereof:
36:28 그것이 공중에서 내려 사람 위에 쏟아지느니라
36:28 Flowing down from the sky, and dropping on the peoples.
36:28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
36:29 구름의 펴임과 그의 장막의 울리는 소리를 누가 능히 깨달으랴
36:29 And who has knowledge of how the clouds are stretched out, or of the thunders of
his tent?
36:29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise
of his tabernacle?
36:30 그가 번개 빛으로 자기의 사면에 두르시며 바다 밑도 가리우시며
36:30 See, he is stretching out his mist, covering the tops of the mountains with it.
36:30 Behold, he spreads his light upon it, and covers the bottom of the
sea.
36:31 이런 것들로 만민을 징벌하시며 이런 것들로 식물을 풍비히 주시느니라
36:31 For by these he gives food to the peoples, and bread in full measure.
36:31 For by them judges he the people; he gives food in abundance.
36:32 그는 번개 빛으로 그 두 손을 싸시고 그것을 명하사 푯대를 맞추게 하시나니
36:32 He takes the light in his hands, sending it against the mark.
36:32 With clouds he covers the light; and commands it not to shine by the
cloud that comes between.
36:33 그 울리는 소리가 풍우를 표시하고 육축에게까지 그 올라 오는 것을 표시하느니라
36:33 The thunder makes clear his passion, and the storm gives news of his wrath.
36:33 The noise thereof shows concerning it, the cattle also concerning the
vapour.
37:1 이로 인하여 내 마음이 떨며 자기 처소에서 떠나느니라
37:1 At this my heart is shaking; it is moved out of its place.
37:1 At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of his place.
37:2 하나님의 음성 곧 그 입에서 나오는 소리를 들으라 들으라
37:2 Give ear to the rolling noise of his voice; to the hollow sound which goes out of
his mouth.
37:2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out
of his mouth.
37:3 그 소리를 천하에 퍼치시며 번개 빛으로 땅끝까지 이르게 하시고
37:3 He sends it out through all the heaven, and his thunder-flame to the ends of the
earth.
37:3 He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends
of the earth.
37:4 그 후에 음성을 발하시며 위엄의 울리는 음성을 내시고는 그 음성이 들릴
때에 번개 빛을 금치 아니하시느니라
37:4 After it a voice is sounding, thundering out the word of his power; he does not
keep back his thunder-flames; from his mouth his voice is sounding.
37:4 After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency;
and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
37:5 하나님이 기이하게 음성을 울리시며 우리의 헤아릴 수 없는 큰 일을 행하시느니라
37:5 He does wonders, more than may be searched out; great things of which we have no
knowledge;
37:5 God thunders marvellously with his voice; great things does he, which
we cannot comprehend.
37:6 눈을 명하여 땅에 내리라 하시며 적은 비와 큰 비도 그 같이 내리게 하시느니라
37:6 For he says to the snow, Make the earth wet; and to the rain-storm, Come down.
37:6 For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small
rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
37:7 그가 각 사람의 손을 봉하시나니 이는 그 지으신 모든 사람으로 그것을 알게
하려 하심이니라
37:7 He puts an end to the work of every man, so that all may see his work.
37:7 He seals up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
37:8 짐승들은 숨는 곳으로 들어가서 그 굴에 머물며
37:8 Then the beasts go into their holes, and take their rest.
37:8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
37:9 남방 밀실에서는 광풍이 이르고 북방에서는 찬 기운이 이르며
37:9 Out of its place comes the storm-wind, and the cold out of its store-houses.
37:9 Out of the south comes the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
37:10 하나님의 부시는 기운에 얼음이 얼고 물의 넓이가 줄어지느니라
37:10 By the breath of God ice is made, and the wide waters are shut in.
37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters
is straitened.
37:11 그가 습기로 빽빽한 구름 위에 실으시고 번개 빛의 구름을 널리 펴신즉
37:11 The thick cloud is weighted with thunder-flame, and the cloud sends out its light;
37:11 Also by watering he wearies the thick cloud: he scatters his bright
cloud:
37:12 구름이 인도하시는 대로 두루 행하나니 이는 무릇 그의 명하시는 것을 세계
상에
이루려 함이라
37:12 And it goes this way and that, round about, turning itself by his guiding, to do
whatever he gives orders to be done, on the face of his world of men,
37:12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever
he commands them upon the face of the world in the earth.
37:13 혹 징벌을 위하며 혹 토지를 위하며 혹 긍휼 베푸심을 위하여 구름으로
오게 하시느니라
37:13 For a rod, or for a curse, or for mercy, causing it to come on the mark.
37:13 He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for
mercy.
37:14 ○ 욥이여 이것을 듣고 가만히 서서 하나님의 기묘하신 일을 궁구하라
37:14 Give ear to this, O Job, and keep quiet in your place; and take note of the wonders
worked by God.
37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works
of God.
37:15 하나님이 어떻게 이런 것들에게 명령하셔서 그 구름의 번개 빛으로 번쩍
번쩍하게 하시는지 네가 아느냐
37:15 Have you knowledge of God's ordering of his works, how he makes the light of his
cloud to be seen?
37:15 Do you know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud
to shine?
37:16 구름의 평평하게 뜬 것과 지혜가 온전하신 자의 기묘한 일을 네가 아느냐
37:16 Have you knowledge of the balancings of the clouds, the wonders of him who has all
wisdom?
37:16 Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him
which is perfect in knowledge?
37:17 남풍으로 하여 땅이 고요할 때에 네 의복이 따뜻한 까닭을 네가 아느냐
37:17 You, whose clothing is warm, when the earth is quiet because of the south wind,
37:17 How your garments are warm, when he stills the earth by the south wind?
37:18 네가 능히 그와 함께 하여 부은 거울 같은 견고한 궁창을 펼 수 있느냐
37:18 Will you, with him, make the skies smooth, and strong as a polished looking-glass?
37:18 Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten
looking glass?
37:19 우리가 그에게 할 말을 너는 우리에게 가르치라 우리는 어두워서 진술하지
못하겠노라
37:19 Make clear to me what we are to say to him; we are unable to put our cause before
him, because of the dark.
37:19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech
by reason of darkness.
37:20 내가 말하고 싶은 것을 어찌 그에게 고할 수 있으랴 어찌 삼키우기를 바랄
자가 있으랴
37:20 How may he have knowledge of my desire for talk with him? or did any man ever say,
May destruction come on me?
37:20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall
be swallowed up.
37:21 ○ 사람이 어떤 때는 궁창의 광명을 볼 수 없어도 바람이 지나가면 맑아지느니라
37:21 And now the light is not seen, for it is dark because of the clouds; but a wind
comes, clearing them away.
37:21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the
wind passes, and cleanses them.
37:22 북방에서는 금 빛이 나오나니 하나님께는 두려운 위엄이 있느니라
37:22 A bright light comes out of the north; God's glory is greatly to be feared.
37:22 Fair weather comes out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
37:23 전능자를 우리가 측량할 수 없나니 그는 권능이 지극히 크사 심판이나 무한한
공의를 굽히지 아니하심이라
37:23 There is no searching out of the Ruler of all: his strength and his judging are
great; he is full of righteousness, doing no wrong.
37:23 Concerning the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in
power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
37:24 그러므로 사람들은 그를 경외하고 그는 마음에 지혜롭다 하는 자를 돌아보지
아니하시느니라
37:24 For this cause men go in fear of him; he has no respect for any who are wise in
heart.
37:24 Men do therefore fear him: he respects not any that are wise of heart.
38:1 때에 여호와께서 폭풍 가운데로서 욥에게 말씀하여 가라사대
38:1 And the Lord made answer to Job out of the storm-wind, and said,
38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
38:2 무지한 말로 이치를 어둡게 하는 자가 누구냐
38:2 Who is this who makes the purpose of God dark by words without knowledge?
38:2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
38:3 너는 대장부처럼 허리를 묶고 내가 네게 묻는 것을 대답할지니라
38:3 Get your strength together like a man of war; I will put questions to you, and you
will give me the answers.
38:3 Gird up now your loins like a man; for I will demand of you, and answer
you me.
38:4 내가 땅의 기초를 놓을 때에 네가 어디 있었느냐 네가 깨달아 알았거든 말할지니라
38:4 Where were you when I put the earth on its base? Say, if you have knowledge.
38:4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if
you have understanding.
38:5 누가 그 도량을 정하였었는지, 누가 그 준승을 그 위에 띄웠었는지 네가
아느냐
38:5 By whom were its measures fixed? Say, if you have wisdom; or by whom was the line
stretched out over it?
38:5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who has stretched
the line upon it?
38:6 그 주초는 무엇 위에 세웠으며 그 모퉁이 돌은 누가 놓았었느냐
38:6 On what were its pillars based, or who put down its angle-stone,
38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner
stone thereof;
38:7 그 때에 새벽 별들이 함께 노래하며 하나님의 아들들이 다 기쁘게 소리하였었느니라
38:7 When the morning stars made songs together, and all the sons of the gods gave cries
of joy?
38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted
for joy?
38:8 ○ 바닷물이 태에서 나옴 같이 넘쳐 흐를 때에 문으로 그것을 막은 자가
누구냐
38:8 Or where were you when the sea came to birth, pushing out from its secret place;
38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had
issued out of the womb?
38:9 그 때에 내가 구름으로 그 의복을 만들고 흑암으로 그 강보를 만들고
38:9 When I made the cloud its robe, and put thick clouds as bands round it,
38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling
band for it,
38:10 계한을 정하여 문과 빗장을 베풀고
38:10 Ordering a fixed limit for it, with locks and doors;
38:10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
38:11 이르기를 네가 여기까지 오고 넘어가지 못하리니 네 교만한 물결이 여기
그칠지니라 하였었노라
38:11 And said, So far you may come, and no farther; and here the pride of your waves
will be stopped?
38:11 And said, Until now shall you come, but no further: and here shall
your proud waves be stayed?
38:12 ○ 네가 나던 날부터 아침을 명하였었느냐 새벽으로 그 처소를 알게 하여
38:12 Have you, from your earliest days, given orders to the morning, or made the dawn
conscious of its place;
38:12 Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring
to know his place;
38:13 그것으로 땅끝에 비취게 하고 악인을 그 가운데서 구축한 일이 있었느냐
38:13 So that it might take a grip of the skirts of the earth, shaking all the evil-doers
out of it?
38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might
be shaken out of it?
38:14 땅이 변화하여 진흙에 인 친 것 같고 만물이 옷 같이 나타나되
38:14 It is changed like wet earth under a stamp, and is coloured like a robe;
38:14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
38:15 악인에게는 그 빛이 금한 바 되고 그들의 높이 든 팔이 꺽이느니라
38:15 And from the evil-doers their light is kept back, and the arm of pride is broken.
38:15 And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall
be broken.
38:16 ○ 네가 바다 근원에 들어갔었느냐 깊은 물 밑으로 걸어 다녔었느냐
38:16 Have you come into the springs of the sea, walking in the secret places of the deep?
38:16 Have you entered into the springs of the sea? or have you walked in
the search of the depth?
38:17 사망의 문이 네게 나타났었느냐 사망의 그늘진 문을 네가 보았었느냐
38:17 Have the doors of death been open to you, or have the door-keepers of the dark ever
seen you?
38:17 Have the gates of death been opened unto you? or have you seen the
doors of the shadow of death?
38:18 땅의 넓이를 네가 측량하였었느냐 다 알거든 말할지니라
38:18 Have you taken note of the wide limits of the earth? Say, if you have knowledge
of it all.
38:18 Have you perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if you know it
all.
38:19 ○ 광명의 처소는 어느 길로 가며 흑암의 처소는 어디냐
38:19 Which is the way to the resting-place of the light, and where is the store-house
of the dark;
38:19 Where is the way where light dwells? and as for darkness, where is
the place thereof,
38:20 네가 능히 그 지경으로 인도할 수 있느냐 그 집의 길을 아느냐
38:20 So that you might take it to its limit, guiding it to its house?
38:20 That you should take it to the bound thereof, and that you should know
the paths to the house thereof?
38:21 네가 아마 알리라 네가 그 때에 났었나니 너의 년수가 많음이니라
38:21 No doubt you have knowledge of it, for then you had come to birth, and the number
of your days is great.
38:21 Know you it, because you were then born? or because the number of your
days is great?
38:22 네가 눈 곳간에 들어갔었느냐 우박 창고를 보았느냐
38:22 Have you come into the secret place of snow, or have you seen the store-houses of
the ice-drops,
38:22 Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? or have you seen the
treasures of the hail,
38:23 내가 환난 때와 전쟁과 격투의 날을 위하여 이것을 저축하였노라
38:23 Which I have kept for the time of trouble, for the day of war and fighting?
38:23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day
of battle and war?
38:24 광명이 어느 길로 말미암아 뻗치며 동풍이 어느 길로 말미암아 땅에 흩어지느냐
38:24 Which is the way to the place where the wind is measured out, and the east wind
sent out over the earth?
38:24 By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind upon
the earth?
38:25 ○ 누가 폭우를 위하여 길을 내었으며 우뢰의 번개 길을 내었으며
38:25 By whom has the way been cut for the flowing of the rain, and the flaming of the
thunder;
38:25 Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way
for the lightning of thunder;
38:26 사람 없는 땅에, 사람 없는 광야에 비를 내리고
38:26 Causing rain to come on a land where no man is living, on the waste land which has
no people;
38:26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness,
wherein there is no man;
38:27 황무하고 공허한 토지를 축축하게 하고 연한 풀이 나게 하였느냐
38:27 To give water to the land where there is waste and destruction, and to make the
dry land green with young grass?
38:27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the
tender herb to spring forth?
38:28 비가 아비가 있느냐 이슬 방울은 누가 낳았느냐
38:28 Has the rain a father? or who gave birth to the drops of night mist?
38:28 Has the rain a father? or who has begotten the drops of dew?
38:29 얼음은 뉘 태에서 났느냐 공중의 서리는 누가 낳았느냐
38:29 Out of whose body came the ice? and who gave birth to the cold mist of heaven?
38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who
has gendered it?
38:30 물이 돌 같이 굳어지고 해면이 어느니라
38:30 The waters are joined together, hard as a stone, and the face of the deep is covered.
38:30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
38:31 ○ 네가 묘성을 매어 떨기 되게 하겠느냐 삼성의 띠를 풀겠느냐
38:31 Are the bands of the Pleiades fixed by you, or are the cords of Orion made loose?
38:31 Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of
Orion?
38:32 네가 열 두 궁성을 때를 따라 이끌어 내겠느냐 북두성과 그 속한 별들을
인도하겠느냐
38:32 Do you make Mazzaroth come out in its right time, or are the Bear and its children
guided by you?
38:32 Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus
with his sons?
38:33 네가 하늘의 법도를 아느냐 하늘로 그 권능을 땅에 베풀게 하겠느냐
38:33 Have you knowledge of the laws of the heavens? did you give them rule over the earth?
38:33 Know you the ordinances of heaven? can you set the dominion thereof
in the earth?
38:34 ○ 네 소리를 구름에 올려 큰 물로 네게 덮이게 하겠느냐
38:34 Is your voice sent up to the cloud, so that you may be covered by the weight of
waters?
38:34 Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters
may cover you?
38:35 네가 번개를 보내어 가게 하되 그것으로 네게 우리가 여기 있나이다 하게
하겠느냐
38:35 Do you send out the thunder-flames, so that they may go, and say to you, Here we
are?
38:35 Can you send lightnings, that they may go and say unto you, Here we
are?
38:36 가슴 속의 지혜는 누가 준 것이냐 마음 속의 총명은 누가 준 것이냐
38:36 Who has put wisdom in the high clouds, or given knowledge to the lights of the north?
38:36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? or who has given understanding
to the heart?
38:37 누가 지혜로 구름을 계수하겠느냐 누가 하늘의 병을 쏟아
38:37 By whose wisdom are the clouds numbered, or the water-skins of the heavens turned
to the earth,
38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of
heaven,
38:38 티끌로 진흙을 이루며 흙덩이로 서로 붙게 하겠느냐
38:38 When the earth becomes hard as metal, and is joined together in masses?
38:38 When the dust grows into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
38:39 ○ 네가 암사자를 위하여 식물을 사냥하겠느냐 젊은 사자의 식량을 채우겠느냐
38:39 Do you go after food for the she-lion, or get meat so that the young lions may have
enough,
38:39 Will you hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young
lions,
38:40 그것들이 굴에 엎드리며 삼림에 누워서 기다리는 때에니라
38:40 When they are stretched out in their holes, and are waiting in the brushwood?
38:40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
38:41 까마귀 새끼가 하나님을 향하여 부르짖으며 먹을 것이 없어서 오락가락
할 때에 그것을 위하여 먹을 것을 예비하는 자가 누구냐
38:41 Who gives in the evening the meat he is searching for, when his young ones are crying
to God; when the young lions with loud noise go wandering after their food?
38:41 Who provides for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God,
they wander for lack of food.
39:1 산 염소가 새끼 치는 때를 네가 아느냐 암사슴의 새끼 낳을 기한을 네가
알 수 있느냐
39:1 Have you knowledge of the rock-goats? or do you see the roes giving birth to their
young?
39:1 Know you the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or can
you mark when the hinds do calve?
39:2 그것이 몇 달만에 만삭되는지 아느냐 그 낳을 때를 아느냐
39:2 Is the number of their months fixed by you? or is the time when they give birth
ordered by you?
39:2 Can you number the months that they fulfill? or know you the time when
they bring forth?
39:3 그것들은 몸을 구푸리고 새끼를 낳아 그 괴로움을 지내어 버리며
39:3 They are bent down, they give birth to their young, they let loose the fruit of
their body.
39:3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out
their sorrows.
39:4 그 새끼는 강하여져서 빈 들에서 길리우다가 나가고는 다시 돌아오지 아니하느니라
39:4 Their young ones are strong, living in the open country; they go out and do not
come back again.
39:4 Their young ones are in good looking, they grow up with corn; they go
forth, and return not unto them.
39:5 ○ 누가 들나귀를 놓아 자유하게 하였느냐 누가 빠른 나귀의 매인 것을 풀었느냐
39:5 Who has let the ass of the fields go free? or made loose the bands of the loud-voiced
beast?
39:5 Who has sent out the wild ass free? or who has loosed the bands of the
wild ass?
39:6 내가 들로 그 집을, 짠 땅으로 그 사는 처소를 삼았느니라
39:6 To whom I have given the waste land for a heritage, and the salt land as a living-place.
39:6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
39:7 들나귀는 성읍의 지꺼리는 것을 업신여기니 어거하는 자의 지르는 소리가
그것에게 들리지 아니하며
39:7 He makes sport of the noise of the town; the voice of the driver does not come to
his ears;
39:7 He scorns the multitude of the city, neither regards he the crying of
the driver.
39:8 초장이 된 산으로 두루 다니며 여러 가지 푸른 것을 찾느니라
39:8 He goes looking for his grass-lands in the mountains, searching out every green
thing.
39:8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searches after every
green thing.
39:9 들소가 어찌 즐겨 네게 복종하며 네 외양간에 머물겠느냐
39:9 Will the ox of the mountains be your servant? or is his night's resting-place by
your food-store?
39:9 Will the unicorn (p. ox) be willing to serve you, or abide by your crib?
39:10 네가 능히 줄로 들소를 매어 이랑을 갈게 하겠느냐 그것이 어찌 골짜기에서
너를 따라 쓰레를 끌겠느냐
39:10 Will he be pulling your plough with cords, turning up the valleys after you?
39:10 Can you bind the unicorn (p. ox) with his band in the furrow? or will
he harrow the valleys after you?
39:11 그것의 힘이 많다고 네가 그것을 의지하겠느냐 네 수고하는 일을 그것에게
맡기겠느냐
39:11 Will you put your faith in him, because his strength is great? will you give the
fruit of your work into his care?
39:11 Will you trust him, because his strength is great? or will you leave
your labour to him?
39:12 그것이 네 곡식을 집으로 실어 오며 네 타작 마당에 곡식 모으기를 그것에게
의탁하겠느냐
39:12 Will you be looking for him to come back, and get in your seed to the crushing-floor?
39:12 Will you believe him, that he will bring home your seed, and gather
it into your barn?
39:13 ○ 타조는 즐거이 그 날개를 친다마는 그 깃과 털이 인자를 베푸느냐
39:13 Is the wing of the ostrich feeble, or is it because she has no feathers,
39:13 Gave you the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers
unto the ostrich?
39:14 그것이 알을 땅에 버려두어 모래에서 더워지게 하고
39:14 That she puts her eggs on the earth, warming them in the dust,
39:14 Which left her eggs in the earth, and warms them in dust,
39:15 발에 깨어질 것이나 들짐승에게 밟힐 것을 생각지 아니하고
39:15 Without a thought that they may be crushed by the foot, and broken by the beasts
of the field?
39:15 And forgets that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may
break them.
39:16 그 새끼에게 무정함이 제 새끼가 아닌 것처럼 하며 그 구로한 것이 헛되게
될지라도 괘념치 아니하나니
39:16 She is cruel to her young ones, as if they were not hers; her work is to no purpose;
she has no fear.
39:16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's:
her labour is in vain without fear;
39:17 이는 하나님 내가 지혜를 품부하지 아니하고 총명을 주지 아니함이니라
39:17 For God has taken wisdom from her mind, and given her no measure of knowledge.
39:17 Because God has deprived her of wisdom, neither has he imparted to
her understanding.
39:18 그러나 그 몸을 떨쳐 뛰어갈 때에는 말과 그 탄 자를 경히 여기느니라
39:18 When she is shaking her wings on high, she makes sport of the horse and of him who
is seated on him.
39:18 What time she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his
rider.
39:19 ○ 말의 힘을 네가 주었느냐 그 목에 흩날리는 갈기를 네가 입혔느냐
39:19 Do you give strength to the horse? is it by your hand that his neck is clothed with
power?
39:19 Have you given the horse strength? have you clothed his neck with thunder?
39:20 네가 그것으로 메뚜기처럼 뛰게 하였느냐 그 위엄스러운 콧소리가 두려우니라
39:20 Is it through you that he is shaking like a locust, in the pride of his loud-sounding
breath?
39:20 Can you make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils
is terrible.
39:21 그것이 골짜기에서 허위고 힘 있음을 기뻐하며 앞으로 나아가서 군사들을
맞되
39:21 He is stamping with joy in the valley; he makes sport of fear.
39:21 He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength: he goes on to
meet the armed men.
39:22 두려움을 비웃고 놀라지 아니하며 칼을 당할지라도 물러나지 아니하니
39:22 In his strength he goes out against the arms of war, turning not away from the sword.
39:22 He mocks at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turns he back from
the sword.
39:23 그 위에서는 전동과 빛난 작은 창과 큰 창이 쟁쟁하며
39:23 The bow is sounding against him; he sees the shining point of spear and arrow.
39:23 The quiver rattles against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
39:24 땅을 삼킬 듯이 맹렬히 성내며 나팔 소리를 들으면 머물러 서지 아니하고
39:24 Shaking with passion, he is biting the earth; he is not able to keep quiet at the
sound of the horn;
39:24 He swallows the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believes he
that it is the sound of the trumpet.
39:25 나팔 소리 나는 대로 소소히 울며 멀리서 싸움 냄새를 맡고 장관의 호령과
떠드는 소리를 듣느니라
39:25 When it comes to his ears he says, Aha! He is smelling the fight from far off, and
hearing the thunder of the captains, and the war-cries.
39:25 He says among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smells the battle far off,
the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
39:26 ○ 매가 떠올라서 날개를 펼쳐 남방으로 향하는 것이 어찌 네 지혜로 말미암음이냐
39:26 Is it through your knowledge that the hawk takes his flight, stretching out his
wings to the south?
39:26 Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the
south?
39:27 독수리가 공중에 떠서 높은 곳에 보금자리를 만드는 것이 어찌 네 명령을
의지함이냐
39:27 Or is it by your orders that the eagle goes up, and makes his resting-place on high?
39:27 Does the eagle mount up at your command, and make her nest on high?
39:28 그것이 낭떠러지에 집을 지으며 뾰족한 바위 끝이나 험준한 데 거하며
39:28 On the rock is his house, and on the mountain-top his strong place.
39:28 She dwells and abides on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the
strong place.
39:29 거기서 움킬만한 것을 살피나니 그 눈이 멀리 봄이며
39:29 From there he is watching for food; his eye sees it far off.
39:29 From thence she seeks the prey, and her eyes behold far off.
39:30 그 새끼들도 피를 빠나니 살륙 당한 자 있는 곳에는 그것도 거기 있느니라
39:30 His young have blood for their drink, and where the dead bodies are, there is he
to be seen.
39:30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is
she.
40:1 여호와께서 또 욥에게 말씀하여 가라사대
40:1 ...
40:1 Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
40:2 변박하는 자가 전능자와 다투겠느냐 하나님과 변론하는 자는 대답할지니라
40:2 Will he who is protesting give teaching to the Ruler of all? Let him who has arguments
to put forward against God give an answer.
40:2 Shall he that contends with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproves
God, let him answer it.
40:3 욥이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되
40:3 And Job said in answer to the Lord,
40:3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
40:4 나는 미천하오니 무엇이라 주께 대답하리이까 손으로 내 입을 가릴 뿐이로소이다
40:4 Truly, I am of no value; what answer may I give to you? I will put my hand on my
mouth.
40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer you? I will lay mine hand upon
my mouth.
40:5 내가 한두 번 말하였사온즉 다시는 더하지도 아니하겠고 대답지도 아니하겠나이다
40:5 I have said once, and even twice, what was in my mind, but I will not do so again.
40:5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed
no further.
40:6 여호와께서 폭풍 가운데서 욥에게 말씀하여 가라사대
40:6 Then the Lord made answer to Job out of the storm-wind, and said,
40:6 Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
40:7 너는 대장부처럼 허리를 묶고 내가 네게 묻는 것을 대답할지니라
40:7 Get your strength together like a man of war: I will put questions to you, and you
will give me the answers.
40:7 Gird up your loins now like a man: I will demand of you, and declare
you unto me.
40:8 네가 내 심판을 폐하려느냐 스스로 의롭다 하려 하여 나를 불의하다 하느냐
40:8 Will you even make my right of no value? will you say that I am wrong in order to
make clear that you are right?
40:8 Will you also nullify my judgment? will you condemn me, that you may
be righteous?
40:9 네가 하나님처럼 팔이 있느냐 하나님처럼 우렁차게 울리는 소리를 내겠느냐
40:9 Have you an arm like God? have you a voice of thunder like his?
40:9 Have you an arm like God? or can you thunder with a voice like him?
40:10 ○ 너는 위엄과 존귀로 스스로 꾸미며 영광과 화미를 스스로 입을지니라
40:10 Put on the ornaments of your pride; be clothed with glory and power:
40:10 Deck yourself now with majesty and excellency; and array yourself with
glory and beauty.
40:11 너의 넘치는 노를 쏟아서 교만한 자를 발견하여 낱낱이 낮추되
40:11 Let your wrath be overflowing; let your eyes see all the sons of pride, and make
them low.
40:11 Cast abroad the rage of your wrath: and behold every one that is proud,
and bring low him.
40:12 곧 모든 교만한 자를 발견하여 낮추며 악인을 그 처소에서 밟아서
40:12 Send destruction on all who are lifted up, pulling down the sinners from their places.
40:12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down
the wicked in their place.
40:13 그들을 함께 진토에 묻고 그 얼굴을 싸서 어둑한 곳에 둘지니라
40:13 Let them be covered together in the dust; let their faces be dark in the secret
place of the underworld.
40:13 Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
40:14 그리하면 네 오른손이 너를 구원할 수 있다고 내가 인정하리라
40:14 Then I will give praise to you, saying that your right hand is able to give you
salvation.
40:14 Then will I also confess unto you that yours own right hand can save
you.
40:15 ○ 이제 소 같이 풀을 먹는 하마를 볼지어다 내가 너를 지은 것 같이 그것도
지었느니라
40:15 See now the Great Beast, whom I made, even as I made you; he takes grass for food,
like the ox.
40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with you; he eats grass as an ox.
40:16 그 힘은 허리에 있고 그 세력은 배의 힘줄에 있고
40:16 His strength is in his body, and his force in the muscles of his stomach.
40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel
of his belly.
40:17 그 꼬리 치는 것은 백향목이 흔들리는 것 같고 그 넓적다리 힘줄은 서로
연락되었으며
40:17 His tail is curving like a cedar; the muscles of his legs are joined together.
40:17 He moves his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped
together.
40:18 그 뼈는 놋관 같고 그 가릿대는 철장 같으니
40:18 His bones are pipes of brass, his legs are like rods of iron.
40:18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of
iron.
40:19 그것은 하나님의 창조물 중에 으뜸이라 그것을 지은 자가 칼을 주었고
40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God, made by him for his pleasure.
40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword
to approach unto him.
40:20 모든 들 짐승의 노는 산은 그것을 위하여 식물을 내느니라
40:20 He takes the produce of the mountains, where all the beasts of the field are at
play.
40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of
the field play.
40:21 그것이 연 줄기 아래나 갈 밭 가운데나 못 속에 엎드리니
40:21 He takes his rest under the trees of the river, and in the pool, under the shade
of the water-plants.
40:21 He lies under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
40:22 연 그늘이 덮으며 시내 버들이 둘렀구나
40:22 He is covered by the branches of the trees; the grasses of the stream are round
him.
40:22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook
compass him about.
40:23 하수가 창일한다 할지라도 그것이 놀라지 않고 요단 강이 불어 그 입에 미칠지라도
자약하니
40:23 Truly, if the river is overflowing, it gives him no cause for fear; he has no sense
of danger, even if Jordan is rushing against his mouth.
40:23 Behold, he drinks up a river, and hastes not: he trusts that he can
draw up Jordan into his mouth.
40:24 그것이 정신차리고 있을 때에 누가 능히 잡을 수 있겠으며 갈고리로 그
코를 꿸 수 있겠느냐
40:24 Will anyone take him when he is on the watch, or put metal teeth through his nose?
40:24 He takes it with his eyes: his nose pierces through snares.
41:1 네가 능히 낚시로 악어를 낚을 수 있겠느냐 노끈으로 그 혀를 맬수 있겠느냐
41:1 Is it possible for Leviathan to be pulled out with a fish-hook, or for a hook to
be put through the bone of his mouth?
41:1 Can you draw out leviathan (p. sea serpent) with an hook? or his tongue
with a cord which you let down?
41:2 줄로 그 코를 꿸 수 있겠느냐 갈고리로 그 아가미를 꿸 수 있겠느냐
41:2 Will you put a cord into his nose, or take him away with a cord round his tongue?
41:2 Can you put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
41:3 그것이 어찌 네게 연속 간구하겠느냐 유순한 말로 네게 이야기 하겠느냐
41:3 Will he make prayers to you, or say soft words to you?
41:3 Will he make many supplications unto you? will he speak soft words unto
you?
41:4 어찌 너와 계약하고 영영히 네 종이 되겠느냐
41:4 Will he make an agreement with you, so that you may take him as a servant for ever?
41:4 Will he make a covenant with you? will you take him for a servant for
ever?
41:5 네가 어찌 새를 놀리는 것 같이 그것을 놀리겠으며 네 소녀들을 위하여 그것을
매어 두겠느냐
41:5 Will you make sport with him, as with a bird? or put him in chains for your young
women?
41:5 Will you play with him as with a bird? or will you bind him for your
maidens?
41:6 어찌 어부의 떼가 그것으로 상품을 삼아 상고들 가운데 나눌 수 있겠느냐
41:6 Will the fishermen make profit out of him? will they have him cut up for the traders?
41:6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among
the merchants?
41:7 네가 능히 창으로 그 가죽을 찌르거나 작살로 그 머리를 찌를 수 있겠느냐
41:7 Will you put sharp-pointed irons into his skin, or fish-spears into his head?
41:7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
41:8 손을 그것에게 좀 대어 보라 싸울 일이 생각나서 다시는 아니하리라
41:8 Only put your hand on him, and see what a fight you will have; you will not do it
again!
41:8 Lay yours hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
41:9 잡으려는 소망은 헛 것이라 그것을 보기만 하여도 낙담하지 않겠느냐
41:9 Truly, the hope of his attacker is false; he is overcome even on seeing him!
41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even
at the sight of him?
41:10 아무도 그것을 격동시킬 용맹이 없거든 능히 나를 당할 자가 누구냐
41:10 He is so cruel that no one is ready to go against him. Who then is able to keep
his place before me?
41:10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand
before me?
41:11 누가 먼저 내게 주고 나로 갚게 하였느냐 온 천하에 있는 것이 다 내 것이니라
41:11 Who ever went against me, and got the better of me? There is no one under heaven!
41:11 Who has prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under
the whole heaven is mine.
41:12 ○ 내가 악어의 지체와 큰 힘과 훌륭한 구조에 대하여 잠잠치 아니하리라
41:12 I will not keep quiet about the parts of his body, or about his power, and the strength
of his frame.
41:12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
41:13 누가 그 가죽을 벗기겠으며 그 아가미 사이로 들어가겠는고
41:13 Who has ever taken off his outer skin? who may come inside his inner coat of iron?
41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with
his double bridle?
41:14 누가 그 얼굴의 문을 열 수 있을까 그 두루 있는 이가 두렵구나
41:14 Who has made open the doors of his face? Fear is round about his teeth.
41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
41:15 견고한 비늘은 그의 자랑이라 서로 연함이 봉한 것 같구나
41:15 His back is made of lines of plates, joined tight together, one against the other,
like a stamp.
41:15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
41:16 이것, 저것이 한데 붙었으니 바람도 그 사이로 들어가지 못하겠고
41:16 One is so near to the other that no air may come between them.
41:16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
41:17 서로 연하여 붙었으니 능히 나눌 수도 없구나
41:17 They take a grip of one another; they are joined together, so that they may not
be parted.
41:17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot
be sundered.
41:18 그것이 재채기를 한즉 광채가 발하고 그 눈은 새벽 눈꺼풀이 열림 같으며
41:18 His sneezings give out flames, and his eyes are like the eyes of the dawn.
41:18 By his exhaling a light does shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids
of the morning.
41:19 그 입에서는 횃불이 나오고 불똥이 뛰어나며
41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lights, and flames of fire are jumping up.
41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
41:20 그 콧구멍에서는 연기가 나오니 마치 솥이 끓는 것과 갈대의 타는 것 같구나
41:20 Smoke comes out of his nose, like a pot boiling on the fire.
41:20 Out of his nostrils goes smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
41:21 그 숨이 능히 숯불을 피우니 불꽃이 그 입에서 나오며
41:21 His breath puts fire to coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.
41:21 His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.
41:22 힘이 그 목에 뭉키었고 두려움이 그 앞에서 뛰는구나
41:22 Strength is in his neck, and fear goes dancing before him.
41:22 In his neck remains strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
41:23 그 살의 조각들이 서로 연하고 그 몸에 견고하여 움직이지 아니하며
41:23 The plates of his flesh are joined together, fixed, and not to be moved.
41:23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves;
they cannot be moved.
41:24 그 마음이 돌 같이 단단하니 그 단단함이 맷돌 아랫짝 같구나
41:24 His heart is as strong as a stone, hard as the lower crushing-stone.
41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.
41:25 그것이 일어나면 용사라도 두려워하며 경겁하여 창황하며
41:25 When he gets ready for the fight, the strong are overcome with fear.
41:25 When he raises up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings
they purify themselves.
41:26 칼로 칠지라도 쓸데 없고 창이나 살이나 작살도 소용이 없구나
41:26 The sword may come near him but is not able to go through him; the spear, or the
arrow, or the sharp-pointed iron.
41:26 The sword of him that lays at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart,
nor the armour of jacket.
41:27 그것이 철을 초개 같이, 놋을 썩은 나무 같이 여기니
41:27 Iron is to him as dry grass, and brass as soft wood.
41:27 He esteems iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
41:28 살이라도 그것으로 도망하게 못하겠고 물매돌도 그것에게는 겨 같이 여기우는구나
41:28 The arrow is not able to put him to flight: stones are no more to him than dry stems.
41:28 The arrow cannot make him flee: sling stones are turned with him into
stubble.
41:29 몽둥이도 검불 같이 보고 창을 던짐을 우습게 여기며
41:29 A thick stick is no better than a leaf of grass, and he makes sport of the onrush
of the spear.
41:29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laughs at the shaking of a spear.
41:30 그 배 아래는 날카로운 와륵 같으니 진흙 위에 타작 기계 같이 자취를 내는구나
41:30 Under him are sharp edges of broken pots: as if he was pulling a grain-crushing
instrument over the wet earth.
41:30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreads sharp pointed things upon the mire.
41:31 깊은 물로 솥의 물이 끓음 같게 하며 바다로 젖는 향기름 같게 하고
41:31 The deep is boiling like a pot of spices, and the sea like a perfume-vessel.
41:31 He makes the deep to boil like a pot: he makes the sea like a pot of
ointment.
41:32 자기 뒤에 광채나는 길을 내니 사람의 보기에 바닷물이 백발 같구나
41:32 After him his way is shining, so that the deep seems white.
41:32 He makes a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
41:33 땅 위에는 그것 같은 것이 없나니 두려움 없게 지음을 받았음이라
41:33 On earth there is not another like him, who is made without fear.
41:33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
41:34 모든 높은 것을 낮게 보고 모든 교만한 것의 왕이 되느니라
41:34 Everything which is high goes in fear of him; he is king over all the sons of pride.
41:34 He beholds all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
42:1 욥이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되
42:1 And Job said in answer to the Lord,
42:1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
42:2 주께서는 무소불능하시오며 무슨 경영이든지 못 이루실 것이 없는 줄 아오니
42:2 I see that you are able to do every thing, and to give effect to all your designs.
42:2 I know that you can do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld
from you.
42:3 무지한 말로 이치를 가리우는 자가 누구니이까 내가 스스로 깨달을 수 없는
일을 말하였고 스스로 알 수 없고 헤아리기 어려운 일을 말하였나이다
42:3 Who is this who makes dark the purpose of God by words without knowledge? For I
have been talking without knowledge about wonders not to be searched out.
42:3 Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered
that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
42:4 내가 말하겠사오니 주여 들으시고 내가 주께 묻겠사오니 주여 내게 알게
하옵소서
42:4 Give ear to me, and I will say what is in my mind; I will put questions to you,
and you will give me the answers.
42:4 Hear, I plead to you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare
you unto me.
42:5 내가 주께 대하여 귀로 듣기만 하였삽더니 이제는 눈으로 주를 뵈옵나이다
42:5 Word of you had come to my ears, but now my eye has seen you.
42:5 I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye sees
you.
42:6 그러므로 내가 스스로 한하고 티끌과 재 가운데서 회개하나이다
42:6 For this cause I give witness that what I said is false, and in sorrow I take my
seat in the dust.
42:6 Wherefore I detest myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
42:7 ○ 여호와께서 욥에게 이 말씀을 하신 후에 데만 사람 엘리바스에게 이르시되
내가 너와 네 두 친구에게 노하나니 이는 너희가 나를 가리켜 말한 것이 내 종 욥의
말 같이 정당하지 못함이니라
42:7 And it came about, after he had said these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz
the Temanite, I am very angry with you and your two friends, because you have not
said what is right about me, as my servant Job has.
42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job,
the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against you, and
against your two friends: for all of you have not spoken of me the thing that
is right, as my servant Job has.
42:8 그런즉 너희는 수송아지 일곱과 수양 일곱을 취하여 내 종 욥에게 가서 너희를
위하여 번제를 드리라 내 종 욥이 너희를 위하여 기도할 것인즉 내가 그를 기쁘게
받으리니 너희의 우매한 대로 너희에게 갚지 아니하리라 이는 너희가 나를 가리켜
말한 것이 내 종 욥의 말 같이 정당하지 못함이니라
42:8 And now, take seven oxen and seven sheep, and go to my servant Job, and give a burned
offering for yourselves, and my servant Job will make prayer for you, that I may
not send punishment on you; because you have not said what is right about me, as
my servant Job has.
42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to
my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant
Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your
folly, in that all of you have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like
my servant Job.
42:9 이에 데만 사람 엘리바스와 수아 사람 빌닷과 나아마 사람 소발이 가서 여호와께서
자기들에게 명하신 대로 행하니라 여호와께서 욥을 기쁘게 받으셨더라
42:9 And Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went
and did as the Lord had said. And the Lord gave ear to Job.
42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite
went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
42:10 ○ 욥이 그 벗들을 위하여 빌매 여호와께서 욥의 곤경을 돌이키시고 욥에게 그 전 소유보다 갑절이나 주신지라
42:10 And the Lord made up to Job for all his losses, after he had made prayer for his
friends: and all Job had before was increased by the Lord twice as much.
42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends:
also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
42:11 이에 그의 모든 형제와 자매와 및 전에 알던 자들이 다 와서 그 집에서 그와
함께 식물을 먹고 여호와께서 그에게 내리신 모든 재앙에 대하여 그를 위하여 슬퍼하며
위로하고 각각 금 한 조각과 금 고리 하나씩 주었더라
42:11 And all his brothers and sisters, and his friends of earlier days, came and took
food with him in his house; and made clear their grief for him, and gave him comfort
for all the evil which the Lord had sent on him; and they all gave him a bit of
money and a gold ring.
42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and
all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him
in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that
the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and
every one an earring of gold.
42:12 여호와께서 욥의 모년에 복을 주사 처음 복보다 더하게 하시니 그가 양
일만 사천과 약대 육천과 소 일천 겨리와 암나귀 일천을 두었고
42:12 And the Lord's blessing was greater on the end of Job's life than on its start:
and so he came to have fourteen thousand sheep and goats, and six thousand camels,
and two thousand oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning:
for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand
yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
42:13 또 아들 일곱과 딸 셋을 낳았으며
42:13 And he had seven sons and three daughters.
42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
42:14 그가 첫째 딸은 여미마라 이름하였고 둘째 딸은 긋시아라 이름하였고 세째
딸은 게렌합북이라 이름하였으며
42:14 And he gave the first the name of Jemimah, the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch;
42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second,
Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
42:15 전국 중에 욥의 딸들처럼 아리따운 여자가 없었더라 그 아비가 그들에게
그 오라비처럼 산업을 주었더라
42:15 And there were no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job in all the earth: and
their father gave them a heritage among their brothers.
42:15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of
Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
42:16 그 후에 욥이 일백 사십 년을 살며 아들과 손자 사 대를 보았고
42:16 And after this Job had a hundred and forty years of life, and saw his sons, and
his sons' sons, even four generations.
42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons,
and his sons' sons, even four generations.
42:17 나이 늙고 기한이 차서 죽었더라
42:17 And Job came to his end, old and full of days.
42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
