48:1 Höret das, ihr vom Hause Jakob, die ihr heißet mit Namen Israel und aus dem Wasser Juda's geflossen seid; die ihr schwöret bei dem Namen des HERRN und gedenkt des Gottes in Israel, aber nicht in der Wahrheit noch Gerechtigkeit.
48:1 Hear all of you this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
48:2 Sie nennen sich aus der heiligen Stadt und trotzen auf den Gott Israels, der da heißt der HERR Zebaoth.
48:2 For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
48:3 Ich habe es zuvor verkündigt, dies Zukünftige; aus meinem Munde ist's gekommen, und ich habe es lassen sagen; ich tue es auch plötzlich, daß es kommt.
48:3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
48:4 Denn ich weiß, daß du hart bist, und dein Nacken ist eine eiserne Ader, und deine Stirn ist ehern;
48:4 Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass;
48:5 Darum habe ich dir's verkündigt zuvor und habe es dir lassen sagen, ehe denn es gekommen ist, auf daß du nicht sagen könntest: Mein Götze tut's, und mein Bild und Abgott hat's befohlen.
48:5 I have even from the beginning declared it to you; before it came to pass I showed it you: lest you should say, Mine idol has done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, has commanded them.
48:6 Solches alles hast du gehört und siehst es, und verkündigst es doch nicht. Ich habe dir von nun an Neues sagen lassen und Verborgenes, das du nicht wußtest.
48:6 You have heard, see all this; and will not all of you declare it? I have showed you new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them.
48:7 Nun ist's geschaffen, und nicht vorlängst, und hast nicht einen Tag zuvor davon gehört, auf daß du nicht sagen könntest: Siehe, das wußte ich wohl.
48:7 They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when you heard them not; lest you should say, Behold, I knew them.
48:8 Denn du hörtest es nicht und wußtest es auch nicht, und dein Ohr war dazumal nicht geöffnet; ich aber wußte wohl, daß du verachten würdest und von Mutterleib an ein Übertreter genannt bist.
48:8 Yea, you heard not; yea, you knew not; yea, from that time that yours ear was not opened: for I knew that you would deal very treacherously, and were called a transgressor from the womb.
48:9 Um meines Namens willen bin ich geduldig, und um meines Ruhms willen will ich mich dir zugut enthalten, daß du nicht ausgerottet werdest.
48:9 For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I cut you not off.
48:10 Siehe ich will dich läutern, aber nicht wie Silber; sondern ich will dich auserwählt machen im Ofen des Elends.
48:10 Behold, I have refined you, but not with silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
48:11 Um meinetwillen, ja um meinetwillen will ich's tun, daß ich nicht gelästert werde; denn ich will meine Ehre keinem andern lassen.
48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
48:12 Höre mir zu, Jakob, und du, Israel, mein Berufener: Ich bin's, ich bin der Erste, dazu auch der Letzte.
48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
48:13 Meine Hand hat den Erdboden gegründet, und meine Rechte hat den Himmel ausgespannt; was ich rufe, das steht alles da.
48:13 Mine hand also has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
48:14 Sammelt euch alle und hört: Wer ist unter diesen, der solches verkündigt hat? Der HERR liebt ihn; darum wird er seinen Willen an Babel und seinen Arm an den Chaldäern beweisen.
48:14 All you, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them has declared these things? The LORD has loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
48:15 Ich, ja, ich habe es gesagt, ich habe ihn gerufen; ich will ihn auch kommen lassen, und sein Weg soll ihm gelingen.
48:15 I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
48:16 Tretet her zu mir und höret dies! Ich habe es nicht im Verborgenen zuvor geredet; von der Zeit an, da es ward, bin ich da. Und nun sendet mich der HERR HERR und sein Geist.
48:16 Come all of you near unto me, hear all of you this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, has sent me.
48:17 So spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser, der Heilige in Israel: Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der dich lehrt, was nützlich ist, und leitet dich auf dem Wege, den du gehst.
48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD your God which teaches you to profit, which leads you by the way that you should go.
48:18 O daß du auf meine Gebote merktest, so würde dein Friede sein wie ein Wasserstrom, und deine Gerechtigkeit wie Meereswellen;
48:18 O that you had hearkened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:
48:19 und dein Same würde sein wie Sand, und die Sprossen deines Leibes wie Sandkörner; sein Name würde nicht ausgerottet noch vertilgt vor mir. {~}
48:19 Your seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of your bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
48:20 Gehet aus von Babel, fliehet von den Chaldäern mit fröhlichem Schall; verkündiget und lasset solches hören; bringt es aus bis an der Welt Ende; sprechet: Der HERR hat seinen Knecht Jakob erlöst.
48:20 Go all of you out of Babylon, flee all of you from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare all of you, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say all of you, The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob.
48:21 Sie hatten keinen Durst, da er sie leitete in der Wüste: er ließ ihnen Wasser aus dem Felsen fließen; er riß den Fels, das Wasser herausrann.
48:21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
48:22 Aber die Gottlosen, spricht der HERR, haben keinen Frieden.
48:22 There is no peace, says the LORD, unto the wicked.

49:1 Höret mir zu, ihr Inseln, und ihr Völker in der Ferne, merket auf! Der HERR hat mich gerufen von Mutterleib an; er hat meines Namens gedacht, da ich noch im Schoß der Mutter war,
49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, all of you people, from far; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name.
49:2 und hat meinen Mund gemacht wie ein scharfes Schwert; mit dem Schatten seiner Hand hat er mich bedeckt; er hat mich zum glatten Pfeil gemacht und mich in seinen Köcher gesteckt
49:2 And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me;
49:3 und spricht zu mir: Du bist mein Knecht Israel, durch welchen ich will gepriesen werden.
49:3 And said unto me, You are my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
49:4 Ich aber dachte, ich arbeite vergeblich und brächte meine Kraft umsonst und unnütz zu, wiewohl meine Sache des Herrn und mein Amt meines Gottes ist.
49:4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.
49:5 Und nun spricht der HERR, der mich von Mutterleib an zu seinem Knechte bereitet hat, daß ich soll Jakob zu ihm bekehren, auf daß Israel nicht weggerafft werde (darum bin ich dem HERRN herrlich, und mein Gott ist mein Stärke),
49:5 And now, says the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
49:6 und spricht: Es ist ein Geringes, daß du mein Knecht bist, die Stämme Jakobs aufzurichten und die Bewahrten Israels wiederzubringen; sondern ich habe dich auch zum Licht der Heiden gemacht, daß du seist mein Heil bis an der Welt Ende.
49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
49:7 So spricht der HERR, der Erlöser Israels, sein Heiliger, zu der verachteten Seele, zu dem Volk, das man verabscheut, zu dem Knecht, der unter den Tyrannen ist: Könige sollen sehen und aufstehen, und Fürsten sollen niederfallen um des HERRN willen, der treu ist, um des Heiligen in Israel willen, der dich erwählt hat.
49:7 Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation detests, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose you.
49:8 So spricht der HERR: Ich habe dich erhört zur gnädigen Zeit und habe dir am Tage des Heils geholfen und habe dich behütet und zum Bund unter das Volk gestellt, daß du das Land aufrichtest und die verstörten Erbe austeilest;
49:8 Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
49:9 zu sagen den Gefangenen: Geht heraus! und zu denen in der Finsternis: Kommt hervor! daß sie am Wege weiden und auf allen Hügeln ihr Weide haben.
49:9 That you may say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
49:10 Sie werden weder hungern noch dürsten, sie wird keine Hitze noch Sonne stechen, denn ihr Erbarmer wird sie führen und wird sie an die Wasserquellen leiten.
49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
49:11 Ich will alle meine Berge zum Wege machen, und meine Pfade sollen gebahnt sein.
49:11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
49:12 Siehe, diese werden von ferne kommen, und siehe, jene von Mitternacht und diese vom Meer und jene von Lande Sinim.
49:12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
49:13 Jauchzet, ihr Himmel, freue dich, Erde, lobet, ihr Berge, mit Jauchzen; denn der HERR hat sein Volk getröstet und erbarmt sich seiner Elenden.
49:13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD has comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
49:14 Zion aber spricht: Der HERR hat mich verlassen, der HERR hat mein vergessen.
49:14 But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.
49:15 Kann auch ein Weib ihres Kindleins vergessen, daß sie sich nicht erbarme über den Sohn ihres Leibes? Und ob sie desselben vergäße, so will ich doch dein nicht vergessen.
49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing infant, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.
49:16 Siehe, in die Hände habe ich dich gezeichnet; deine Mauern sind immerdar vor mir.
49:16 Behold, I have graven you upon the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
49:17 Deine Baumeister werden eilen; aber deine Zerbrecher und Verstörer werden sich davonmachen.
49:17 Your children shall make haste; your destroyers and they that made you waste shall go out of you.
49:18 Hebe deine Augen auf umher und siehe: alle diese kommen versammelt zu dir. So wahr ich lebe, spricht der HERR, du sollst mit diesen allen wie mit einem Schmuck angetan werden und wirst sie um dich legen wie eine Braut.
49:18 Lift up yours eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live, says the LORD, you shall surely clothe you with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on you, as a bride does.
49:19 Denn dein wüstes, verstörtes und zerbrochenes Land wird dir alsdann zu eng werden, darin zu wohnen, wenn deine Verderber fern von dir weichen,
49:19 For your waste and your desolate places, and the land of your destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed you up shall be far away.
49:20 daß die Kinder deiner Unfruchtbarkeit werden noch sagen vor deinen Ohren: Der Raum ist mir zu eng; rücke hin, daß ich bei dir wohnen möge.
49:20 The children which you shall have, after you have lost the other, shall say again in yours ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
49:21 Du aber wirst sagen in deinem Herzen: Wer hat mir diese geboren? Ich war unfruchtbar, einsam, vertrieben und verstoßen. Wer hat mir diese erzogen? Siehe, ich war allein gelassen; wo waren denn diese?
49:21 Then shall you say in yours heart, Who has begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing back and forth? and who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
49:22 So spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich will meine Hand zu den Heiden aufheben und zu den Völkern mein Panier aufwerfen; so werden sie deine Söhne in den Armen herzubringen und deine Töchter auf den Achseln hertragen.
49:22 Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
49:23 Und Könige sollen deine Pfleger, und ihre Fürstinnen deine Säugammen sein; sie werden vor dir niederfallen zur Erde aufs Angesicht und deiner Füße Staub lecken. Da wirst du erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, an welchem nicht zu Schanden werden, die auf mich harren.
49:23 And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
49:24 Kann man auch einem Riesen den Raub nehmen? oder kann man dem Gerechten seine Gefangenen losmachen?
49:24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
49:25 Denn so spricht der HERR: Nun sollen die Gefangenen dem Riesen genommen werden und der Raub des Starken los werden; und ich will mit deinen Haderern hadern und deinen Kindern helfen.
49:25 But thus says the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children.
49:26 Und ich will deine Schinder speisen mit ihrem eigenen Fleisch, und sie sollen von ihrem eigenen Blut wie von süßem Wein trunken werden; und alles Fleisch soll erfahren, daß ich bin der HERR, dein Heiland, und dein Erlöser der Mächtige in Jakob.
49:26 And I will feed them that oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Saviour and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

50:1 So spricht der HERR: Wo ist der Scheidebrief eurer Mutter, mit dem ich sie entlassen hätte? Oder wer ist mein Gläubiger, dem ich euch verkauft hätte? Siehe, ihr seid um eurer Sünden willen verkauft, und eure Mutter ist um eures Übertretens willen entlassen.
50:1 Thus says the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have all of you sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
50:2 Warum kam ich, und war niemand da? ich rief, und niemand antwortete. Ist meine Hand nun so kurz geworden, daß ich sie nicht erlösen kann? oder ist bei mir keine Kraft, zu erretten? Siehe, mit meinem Schelten mache ich das Meer trocken und mache die Wasserströme zur Wüste, daß ihre Fische vor Wassermangel stinken und Durstes sterben.
50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinks, because there is no water, and dies for thirst.
50:3 Ich kleide den Himmel mit Dunkel und mache seine Decke gleich einem Sack.
50:3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
50:4 Der HERR HERR hat mir eine gelehrte Zunge gegeben, daß ich wisse mit dem Müden zu rechter Zeit zu reden. Er weckt mich alle Morgen; er weckt mir das Ohr, daß ich höre wie ein Jünger.
50:4 The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens mine ear to hear as the learned.
50:5 Der HERR HERR hat mir das Ohr geöffnet; und ich bin nicht ungehorsam und gehe nicht zurück.
50:5 The Lord GOD has opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
50:6 Ich hielt meinen Rücken dar denen, die mich schlugen, und meine Wangen denen, die mich rauften; mein Angesicht verbarg ich nicht vor Schmach und Speichel.
50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
50:7 Aber der HERR HERR hilft mir; darum werde ich nicht zu Schanden. Darum habe ich mein Angesicht dargeboten wie einen Kieselstein; denn ich weiß, daß ich nicht zu Schanden werde.
50:7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
50:8 Er ist nahe, der mich gerechtspricht; wer will mit mir hadern? Laßt uns zusammentreten; wer ist, der Recht zu mir hat? Der komme her zu mir!
50:8 He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
50:9 Siehe, der HERR HERR hilft mir; wer ist, der mich will verdammen? Siehe, sie werden allzumal wie ein Kleid veralten, Motten werden sie fressen.
50:9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
50:10 Wer ist unter euch, der den HERRN fürchtet, der seines Knechtes Stimme gehorche? Der im Finstern wandelt und scheint ihm kein Licht, der hoffe auf den HERRN und verlasse sich auf seinen Gott.
50:10 Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
50:11 Siehe, ihr alle, die ihr ein Feuer anzündet, mit Flammen gerüstet, geht hin in das Licht eures Feuers und in die Flammen, die ihr angezündet habt! Solches widerfährt euch von meiner Hand; in Schmerzen müßt ihr liegen.
50:11 Behold, all you that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that all of you have kindled. This shall all of you have of mine hand; all of you shall lie down in sorrow.

51:1 Höret mir zu, die ihr der Gerechtigkeit nachjagt, die ihr den HERRN sucht: Schauet den Fels an, davon ihr gehauen seid, und des Brunnens Gruft, daraus ihr gegraben seid.
51:1 Hearken to me, all of you that follow after righteousness, all of you that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence all of you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence all of you are dug.
51:2 Schauet Abraham an, euren Vater, und Sara, von welcher ihr geboren seid. Denn ich rief ihn, da er noch einzeln war, und segnete ihn und mehrte ihn.
51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
51:3 Denn der HERR tröstet Zion, er tröstet alle ihre Wüsten und macht ihre Wüste wie Eden und ihr dürres Land wie den Garten des HERRN, daß man Wonne und Freude darin findet, Dank und Lobgesang.
51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
51:4 Merke auf mich, mein Volk, höret mich, meine Leute! denn von mir wird ein Gesetz ausgehen, und mein Recht will ich zum Licht der Völker gar bald stellen.
51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
51:5 Denn meine Gerechtigkeit ist nahe, mein Heil zieht aus, und meine Arme werden die Völker richten. Die Inseln harren auf mich und warten auf meinen Arm.
51:5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
51:6 Hebet eure Augen auf gen Himmel und schauet unten auf die Erde. Denn der Himmel wird wie ein Rauch vergehen und die Erde wie ein Kleid veralten, und die darauf wohnen, werden im Nu dahinsterben. Aber mein Heil bleibt ewiglich, und meine Gerechtigkeit wird kein Ende haben.
51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
51:7 Höret mir zu, die ihr die Gerechtigkeit kennt, du Volk, in dessen Herzen mein Gesetz ist! Fürchtet euch nicht, wenn euch die Leute schmähen; und wenn sie euch lästern, verzaget nicht!
51:7 Hearken unto me, all of you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear all of you not the reproach of men, neither be all of you afraid of their revilings.
51:8 Denn die Motten werden sie fressen wie ein Kleid, und Würmer werden sie fressen wie wollenes Tuch; aber meine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewiglich und mein Heil für und für.
51:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
51:9 Wohlauf, wohlauf, ziehe Macht an, du Arm des HERRN! Wohlauf, wie vorzeiten, von alters her! Bist du es nicht, der die Stolzen zerhauen und den Drachen verwundet hat?
51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are you not it that has cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
51:10 Bist du es nicht, der das Meer, der großen Tiefe Wasser, austrocknete, der den Grund des Meeres zum Wege machte, daß die Erlösten dadurchgingen?
51:10 Are you not it which has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
51:11 Also werden die Erlösten des HERRN wiederkehren und gen Zion kommen mit Jauchzen, und ewige Freude wird auf ihrem Haupte sein. Wonne und Freude werden sie ergreifen; aber Trauer und Seufzen wird von ihnen fliehen.
51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
51:12 Ich, ich bin euer Tröster. Wer bist du denn, daß du dich vor Menschen fürchtest, die doch sterben, und vor Menschenkindern, die wie Gras vergehen,
51:12 I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
51:13 und vergissest des HERRN, der dich gemacht hat, der den Himmel ausbreitet und die Erde gründet? Du aber fürchtest dich den ganzen Tag vor dem Grimm des Wüterichs, wenn er sich vornimmt zu verderben. Wo bleibt nun der Grimm des Wüterichs?
51:13 And forget the LORD your maker, that has stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
51:14 Der Gefangene wird eilends losgegeben, daß er nicht hinsterbe zur Grube, auch keinen Mangel an Brot habe.
51:14 The captive exile hastens that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
51:15 Denn ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der das Meer bewegt, daß seine Wellen wüten; sein Name heißt HERR Zebaoth.
51:15 But I am the LORD your God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
51:16 Ich lege mein Wort in deinen Mund und bedecke dich unter dem Schatten meiner Hände, auf daß ich den Himmel pflanze und die Erde gründe und zu Zion spreche: Du bist mein Volk.
51:16 And I have put my words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, You are my people.
51:17 Wache auf, wache auf, stehe auf, Jerusalem, die du von der Hand des HERRN den Kelch seines Grimmes getrunken hast! Die Hefen des Taumelkelches hast du ausgetrunken und die Tropfen geleckt.
51:17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which have drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; you have drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
51:18 Es war niemand aus allen Kindern, die sie geboren hat, der sie leitete; niemand aus allen Kindern, die sie erzogen hat, der sie bei der Hand nähme.
51:18 There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any that takes her by the hand of all the sons that she has brought up.
51:19 Diese zwei sind dir begegnet; wer trug Leid mit dir? Da war Verstörung und Schaden, Hunger und Schwert; wer sollte dich trösten?
51:19 These two things are come unto you; who shall be sorry for you? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort you?
51:20 Deine Kinder waren verschmachtet; sie lagen auf allen Gassen wie ein Hirsch im Netze, voll des Zorns vom HERRN und des Scheltens von deinem Gott.
51:20 Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.
51:21 Darum höre dies, du Elende und Trunkene, doch nicht von Wein!
51:21 Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
51:22 So spricht dein Herrscher, der HERR, und dein Gott, der sein Volk rächt: Siehe, ich nehme den Taumelkelch von deiner Hand samt den Hefen des Kelchs meines Grimmes; du sollst ihn nicht mehr trinken,
51:22 Thus says your Lord the LORD, and your God that pleads the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of yours hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; you shall no more drink it again:
51:23 sondern ich will ihn deinen Schindern in die Hand geben, die zu deiner Seele sprachen: Bücke dich, daß wir darüberhin gehen, und mache deinen Rücken zur Erde und wie die Gasse, daß man darüberhin laufe.
51:23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict you; which have said to your soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and you have laid your body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.

52:1 Mache dich auf, mache dich auf, Zion! Zieh deine Stärke an, schmücke dich herrlich, du heilige Stadt Jerusalem! Denn es wird hinfort kein Unbeschnittener oder Unreiner zu dir eingehen.
52:1 Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean.
52:2 Schüttle den Staub ab, stehe auf, du gefangenes Jerusalem! Mache dich los von den Banden deines Halses, du gefangene Tochter Zion!
52:2 Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
52:3 Denn also spricht der HERR: Ihr seid umsonst verkauft; ihr sollt auch ohne Geld gelöst werden.
52:3 For thus says the LORD, All of you have sold yourselves for nothing; and all of you shall be redeemed without money.
52:4 Denn so spricht der HERR HERR: Mein Volk zog am ersten hinab nach Ägypten, daß es daselbst Gast wäre; und Assur hat ihm ohne Ursache Gewalt getan.
52:4 For thus says the Lord GOD, My people went down in old times into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
52:5 Aber wie tut man mir jetzt allhier! spricht der HERR. Mein Volk wird umsonst hingerafft; seine Herrscher machen eitel Heulen, spricht der HERR, und mein Name wird immer täglich gelästert.
52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, says the LORD, that my people is taken away for nothing? they that rule over them make them to wail, says the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
52:6 Darum soll mein Volk meinen Namen kennen zu derselben Zeit; denn ich bin's, der da spricht: Hier bin ich!
52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that does speak: behold, it is I.
52:7 Wie lieblich sind auf den Bergen die Füße der Boten, die da Frieden verkündigen, Gutes predigen, Heil verkündigen, die da sagen zu Zion: Dein Gott ist König!
52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns!
52:8 Deine Wächter rufen laut mit ihrer Stimme und rühmen miteinander; denn man wird's mit Augen sehen, wenn der HERR Zion bekehrt.
52:8 Your watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
52:9 Laßt fröhlich sein und miteinander rühmen das Wüste zu Jerusalem; denn der HERR hat sein Volk getröstet und Jerusalem gelöst.
52:9 Break forth into joy, sing together, all of you waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.
52:10 Der HERR hat offenbart seinen heiligen Arm vor den Augen aller Heiden, daß aller Welt Enden sehen das Heil unsers Gottes.
52:10 The LORD has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
52:11 Weicht, weicht, zieht aus von dannen und rührt kein Unreines an; geht aus von ihr, reinigt euch, die ihr des HERRN Geräte tragt!
52:11 Depart all of you, depart all of you, go all of you out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go all of you out of the midst of her; be all of you clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
52:12 Denn ihr sollt nicht mit Eile ausziehen noch mit Flucht wandeln; denn der HERR wird vor euch her ziehen; und der Gott Israels wird euch sammeln.
52:12 For all of you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
52:13 Siehe, mein Knecht wird weislich tun und wird erhöht und sehr hoch erhaben sein.
52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
52:14 Gleichwie sich viele an dir ärgern werden, weil seine Gestalt häßlicher ist denn anderer Leute und sein Ansehen denn der Menschenkinder,
52:14 As many were astonished at you; his visage was so ruined more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
52:15 also wird er viele Heiden besprengen, daß auch Könige werden ihren Mund vor ihm zuhalten. Denn welchen nichts davon verkündigt ist, die werden's mit Lust sehen; und die nichts davon gehört haben, die werden's merken.
52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

53:1 Aber wer glaubt unsrer Predigt, und wem wird der Arm des HERRN offenbart?
53:1 Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
53:2 Denn er schoß auf vor ihm wie ein Reis und wie eine Wurzel aus dürrem Erdreich. Er hatte keine Gestalt noch Schöne; wir sahen ihn, aber da war keine Gestalt, die uns gefallen hätte.
53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor loveliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
53:3 Er war der Allerverachtetste und Unwerteste, voller Schmerzen und Krankheit. Er war so verachtet, daß man das Angesicht vor ihm verbarg; darum haben wir ihn für nichts geachtet. {~}
53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
53:4 Fürwahr, er trug unsere Krankheit und lud auf sich unsre Schmerzen. Wir aber hielten ihn für den, der geplagt und von Gott geschlagen und gemartert wäre.
53:4 Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
53:5 Aber er ist um unsrer Missetat willen verwundet und um unsrer Sünde willen zerschlagen. Die Strafe liegt auf ihm, auf daß wir Frieden hätten, und durch seine Wunden sind wir geheilt.
53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
53:6 Wir gingen alle in der Irre wie Schafe, ein jeglicher sah auf seinen Weg; aber der HERR warf unser aller Sünde auf ihn.
53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
53:7 Da er gestraft und gemartert ward, tat er seinen Mund nicht auf wie ein Lamm, das zur Schlachtbank geführt wird, und wie ein Schaf, das verstummt vor seinem Scherer und seinen Mund nicht auftut.
53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opens not his mouth.
53:8 Er aber ist aus Angst und Gericht genommen; wer will seines Lebens Länge ausreden? Denn er ist aus dem Lande der Lebendigen weggerissen, da er um die Missetat meines Volkes geplagt war.
53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
53:9 Und man gab ihm bei Gottlosen sein Grab und bei Reichen, da er gestorben war, wiewohl er niemand Unrecht getan hat noch Betrug in seinem Munde gewesen ist.
53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
53:10 Aber der HERR wollte ihn also zerschlagen mit Krankheit. Wenn er sein Leben zum Schuldopfer gegeben hat, so wird er Samen haben und in die Länge leben, und des HERRN Vornehmen wird durch seine Hand fortgehen.
53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
53:11 Darum, daß seine Seele gearbeitet hat, wird er seine Lust sehen und die Fülle haben. Und durch seine Erkenntnis wird er, mein Knecht, der Gerechte, viele gerecht machen; denn er trägt ihr Sünden.
53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
53:12 Darum will ich ihm große Menge zur Beute geben, und er soll die Starken zum Raube haben, darum daß er sein Leben in den Tod gegeben hat und den Übeltätern gleich gerechnet ist und er vieler Sünde getragen hat und für die Übeltäter gebeten.
53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

54:1 Rühme, du Unfruchtbare, die du nicht gebierst! Freue dich mit Rühmen und jauchze, die du nicht schwanger bist! Denn die Einsame hat mehr Kinder, als die den Mann hat, spricht der HERR.
54:1 Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the LORD.
54:2 Mache den Raum deiner Hütte weit, und breite aus die Teppiche deiner Wohnung; spare nicht! Dehne deine Seile lang und stecke deine Nägel fest!
54:2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of yours habitations: spare not, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes;
54:3 Denn du wirst ausbrechen zur Rechten und zur Linken, und dein Same wird die Heiden erben und in den verwüsteten Städten wohnen.
54:3 For you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
54:4 Fürchte dich nicht, denn du sollst nicht zu Schanden werden; werde nicht blöde, denn du sollst nicht zum Spott werden; sondern du wirst die Schande deiner Jungfrauschaft vergessen und der Schmach deiner Witwenschaft nicht mehr gedenken.
54:4 Fear not; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be you confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.
54:5 Denn der dich gemacht hat, ist dein Mann, der HERR Zebaoth heißt sein Name, und dein Erlöser, der Heilige in Israel, der aller Welt Gott genannt wird.
54:5 For your Maker is yours husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
54:6 Denn der HERR hat dich zu sich gerufen wie ein verlassenes und von Herzen betrübtes Weib und wie ein junges Weib, das verstoßen ist, spricht dein Gott.
54:6 For the LORD has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you were refused, says your God.
54:7 Ich habe dich einen kleinen Augenblick verlassen; aber mit großer Barmherzigkeit will ich dich sammeln.
54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.
54:8 Ich habe mein Angesicht im Augenblick des Zorns ein wenig vor dir verborgen, aber mit ewiger Gnade will ich mich dein erbarmen, spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser.
54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says the LORD your Redeemer.
54:9 Denn solches soll mir sein wie das Wasser Noahs, da ich schwur, daß die Wasser Noahs sollten nicht mehr über den Erdboden gehen. Also habe ich geschworen, daß ich nicht über dich zürnen noch dich schelten will.
54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
54:10 Denn es sollen wohl Berge weichen und Hügel hinfallen; aber meine Gnade soll nicht von dir weichen, und der Bund meines Friedens soll nicht hinfallen, spricht der HERR, dein Erbarmer.
54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the LORD that has mercy on you.
54:11 Du Elende, über die alle Wetter gehen, und du Trostlose, siehe, ich will deine Steine wie einen Schmuck legen und will deinen Grund mit Saphiren legen
54:11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with fair colours, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
54:12 und deine Zinnen aus Kristallen machen und deine Tore von Rubinen und alle deine Grenzen von erwählten Steinen
54:12 And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones.
54:13 und alle deine Kinder gelehrt vom HERRN und großen Frieden deinen Kindern.
54:13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.
54:14 Du sollst durch Gerechtigkeit bereitet werden. Du wirst ferne sein von Gewalt und Unrecht, daß du dich davor nicht darfst fürchten, und von Schrecken, denn es soll nicht zu dir nahen.
54:14 In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.
54:15 Siehe, wer will sich wider dich rotten und dich überfallen, so sie sich ohne mich rotten?
54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake.
54:16 Siehe, ich schaffe es, daß der Schmied, der die Kohlen aufbläst, eine Waffe daraus mache nach seinem Handwerk; und ich schaffe es, daß der Verderber sie zunichte mache. {~}
54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to destroy.
54:17 Einer jeglichen Waffe, die wider dich zubereitet wird, soll es nicht gelingen; und alle Zunge, so sich wider dich setzt, sollst du im Gericht verdammen. Das ist das Erbe der Knechte des HERRN und ihre Gerechtigkeit von mir, spricht der HERR.
54:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.

55:1 Wohlan, alle, die ihr durstig seid, kommet her zum Wasser! und die ihr nicht Geld habt, kommet her, kaufet und esset; kommt her und kauft ohne Geld und umsonst beides, Wein und Milch!
55:1 Ho, every one that thirsts, come all of you to the waters, and he that has no money; come all of you, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
55:2 Warum zählet ihr Geld dar, da kein Brot ist und tut Arbeit, davon ihr nicht satt werden könnt? Höret mir doch zu und esset das Gute, so wird eure Seele am Fetten ihre Lust haben.
55:2 Wherefore do all of you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfies not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat all of you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
55:3 Neiget eure Ohren her und kommet her zu mir, höret, so wird eure Seele leben; denn ich will mit euch einen ewigen Bund machen, daß ich euch gebe die gewissen Gnaden Davids.
55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
55:4 Siehe, ich habe ihn den Leuten zum Zeugen gestellt, zum Fürsten und Gebieter den Völkern.
55:4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
55:5 Siehe, du wirst Heiden rufen, die du nicht kennst; und Heiden, die dich nicht kennen, werden zu dir laufen um des HERRN willen, deines Gottes, und des Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.
55:5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you know not, and nations that knew not you shall run unto you because of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.
55:6 Suchet den HERRN, solange er zu finden ist; rufet ihn an, solange er nahe ist.
55:6 Seek all of you the LORD while he may be found, call all of you upon him while he is near:
55:7 Der Gottlose lasse von seinem Wege und der Übeltäter seine Gedanken und bekehre sich zum HERRN, so wird er sich sein erbarmen, und zu unserm Gott, denn bei ihm ist viel Vergebung.
55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
55:8 Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken, und eure Wege sind nicht meine Wege, spricht der HERR;
55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
55:9 sondern soviel der Himmel höher ist denn die Erde, so sind auch meine Wege höher denn eure Wege und meine Gedanken denn eure Gedanken.
55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
55:10 Denn gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt und nicht wieder dahinkommt, sondern feuchtet die Erde und macht sie fruchtbar und wachsend, daß sie gibt Samen, zu säen, und Brot, zu essen:
55:10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
55:11 also soll das Wort, so aus meinem Munde geht, auch sein. Es soll nicht wieder zu mir leer kommen, sondern tun, was mir gefällt, und soll ihm gelingen, dazu ich's sende.
55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
55:12 Denn ihr sollt in Freuden ausziehen und im Frieden geleitet werden. Berge und Hügel sollen vor euch her frohlocken mit Ruhm und alle Bäume auf dem Felde mit den Händen klatschen.
55:12 For all of you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
55:13 Es sollen Tannen für Hecken wachsen und Myrten für Dornen; und dem HERRN soll ein Name und ewiges Zeichen sein, das nicht ausgerottet werde. {~}
55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

56:1 So spricht der HERR: Haltet das Recht und tut Gerechtigkeit; denn mein Heil ist nahe, daß es komme, und meine Gerechtigkeit, daß sie offenbart werde.
56:1 Thus says the LORD, Keep all of you judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
56:2 Wohl dem Menschen, der solches tut, und dem Menschenkind, der es festhält, daß er den Sabbat halte und nicht entheilige und halte seine Hand, daß er kein Arges tue!
56:2 Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of man that lays hold on it; that keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
56:3 Und der Fremde, der zum HERRN sich getan hat, soll nicht sagen: Der HERR wird mich scheiden von seinem Volk; und der Verschnittene soll nicht sagen: Siehe, ich bin ein dürrer Baum.
56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
56:4 Denn so spricht der HERR von den Verschnittenen, welche meine Sabbate halten und erwählen, was mir wohl gefällt, und meinen Bund fest fassen:
56:4 For thus says the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
56:5 Ich will ihnen in meinem Hause und in meinen Mauern einen Ort und einen Namen geben, besser denn Söhne und Töchter; einen ewigen Namen will ich ihnen geben, der nicht vergehen soll.
56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
56:6 Und die Fremden, die sich zum HERR getan haben, daß sie ihm dienen und seinen Namen lieben, auf daß sie seine Knechte seien, ein jeglicher, der den Sabbat hält, daß er ihn nicht entweihe, und meinen Bund festhält,
56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant;
56:7 die will ich zu meinem heiligen Berge bringen und will sie erfreuen in meinem Bethause, und ihre Opfer und Brandopfer sollen mir angenehm sein auf meinem Altar; denn mein Haus wird heißen ein Bethaus allen Völkern.
56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
56:8 Der HERR HERR, der die Verstoßenen aus Israel sammelt, spricht: Ich will noch mehr zu dem Haufen derer, die versammelt sind, sammeln.
56:8 The Lord GOD, which gathers the outcasts of Israel says, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
56:9 Alle Tiere auf dem Felde, kommet, und fresset, ja alle Tiere im Walde!
56:9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all you beasts in the forest.
56:10 Alle ihre Wächter sind blind, sie wissen nichts; stumme Hunde sind sie, die nicht strafen können, sind faul, liegen und schlafen gerne.
56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
56:11 Es sind aber gierige Hunde, die nimmer satt werden können. Sie, die Hirten wissen keinen Verstand; ein jeglicher sieht auf seinen Weg, ein jeglicher geizt für sich in seinem Stande.
56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
56:12 "Kommt her, laßt uns Wein holen und uns vollsaufen, und soll morgen sein wie heute und noch viel mehr."
56:12 Come all of you, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

57:1 Aber der Gerechte kommt um, und niemand ist, der es zu Herzen nehme; und heilige Leute werden aufgerafft, und niemand achtet darauf. Denn die Gerechten werden weggerafft vor dem Unglück;
57:1 The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
57:2 und die richtig vor sich gewandelt haben, kommen zum Frieden und ruhen in ihren Kammern.
57:2 He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
57:3 Und ihr, kommt herzu, ihr Kinder der Tagewählerin, ihr Same des Ehebrechers und der Hure!
57:3 But draw near here, all of you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
57:4 An wem wollt ihr nun eure Lust haben? Über wen wollt ihr nun das Maul aufsperren und die Zunge herausrecken? Seid ihr nicht die Kinder der Übertretung und ein falscher Same,
57:4 Against whom do all of you sport yourselves? against whom make all of you a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are all of you not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.
57:5 die ihr in der Brunst zu den Götzen lauft unter alle grünen Bäume und schlachtet die Kinder an den Bächen, unter den Felsklippen?
57:5 Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clefts of the rocks?
57:6 Dein Wesen ist an den glatten Bachsteinen, die sind dein Teil; ihnen schüttest du dein Trankopfer, da du Speisopfer opferst. Sollte ich mich darüber trösten?
57:6 Among the smooth stones of the stream is your portion; they, they are your lot: even to them have you poured a drink offering, you have offered a food offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
57:7 Du machst dein Lager auf einem hohen, erhabenen Berg und gehst daselbst auch hinauf, zu opfern.
57:7 Upon a lofty and high mountain have you set your bed: even thither went you up to offer sacrifice.
57:8 Und hinter die Tür und den Pfosten setzest du dein Denkmal. Denn du wendest dich von mir und gehst hinauf und machst dein Lager weit und verbindest dich mit ihnen; du liebst ihr Lager, wo du sie ersiehst.
57:8 Behind the doors also and the posts have you set up your remembrance: for you have discovered yourself to another than me, and are gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and made you a covenant with them; you loved their bed where you saw it.
57:9 Du ziehst mit Öl zum König und machst viel deiner Würze und sendest deine Botschaft in die Ferne und bist erniedrigt bis zur Hölle.
57:9 And you went to the king with ointment, and did increase your perfumes, and did send your messengers far off, and did debase yourself even unto hell.
57:10 Du zerarbeitest dich in der Menge deiner Wege und sprichst nicht: Ich lasse es; sondern weil du Leben findest in deiner Hand, wirst du nicht müde.
57:10 You are wearied in the greatness of your way; yet said you not, There is no hope: you have found the life of yours hand; therefore you were not grieved.
57:11 Vor wem bist du so in Sorge und fürchtest dich also, daß du mit Lügen umgehst und denkst an mich nicht und nimmst es nicht zu Herzen? Meinst du, ich werde allewege schweigen, daß du mich so gar nicht fürchtest?
57:11 And of whom have you been afraid or feared, that you have lied, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and you fear me not?
57:12 Ich will aber deine Gerechtigkeit anzeigen und deine Werke, daß sie dir nichts nütze sein sollen.
57:12 I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not profit you.
57:13 Wenn du rufen wirst, so laß dir deine Götzenhaufen helfen; aber der Wind wird sie alle wegführen, und wie ein Hauch sie wegnehmen. Aber wer auf mich traut, wird das Land erben und meinen heiligen Berg besitzen
57:13 When you cry, let your companies deliver you; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that puts his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
57:14 und wird sagen: Machet Bahn, machet Bahn! räumet den Weg, hebet die Anstöße aus dem Wege meines Volkes!
57:14 And shall say, Cast all of you up, cast all of you up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people.
57:15 Denn also spricht der Hohe und Erhabene, der ewiglich wohnt, des Name heilig ist: Der ich in der Höhe und im Heiligtum wohne und bei denen, die zerschlagenen und demütigen Geistes sind, auf daß ich erquicke den Geist der Gedemütigten und das Herz der Zerschlagenen:
57:15 For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
57:16 Ich will nicht immerdar hadern und nicht ewiglich zürnen; sondern es soll von meinem Angesicht ein Geist wehen, und ich will Odem machen.
57:16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always angry: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
57:17 Ich war zornig über die Untugend ihres Geizes und schlug sie, verbarg mich und zürnte; da gingen sie hin und her im Wege ihres Herzens.
57:17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and stroke him: I hid me, and was angry, and he went on perversely in the way of his heart.
57:18 Aber da ich ihre Wege ansah, heilte ich sie und leitete sie und gab ihnen wieder Trost und denen, die über jene Leid trugen.
57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
57:19 Ich will Frucht der Lippen schaffen, die da predigen: Friede, Friede, denen in der Ferne und denen in der Nähe, spricht der HERR, und ich will sie heilen.
57:19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him.
57:20 Aber die Gottlosen sind wie ein ungestümes Meer, das nicht still sein kann, und dessen Wellen Kot und Unflat auswerfen.
57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
57:21 Die Gottlosen haben nicht Frieden, spricht mein Gott.
57:21 There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.

58:1 Rufe getrost, schone nicht, erhebe deine Stimme wie eine Posaune und verkündige meinem Volk ihr Übertreten und dem Hause Jakob ihre Sünden.
58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
58:2 Sie suchen mich täglich und wollen meine Wege wissen wie ein Volk, das Gerechtigkeit schon getan und das Recht ihres Gottes nicht verlassen hätte. Sie fordern mich zu Recht und wollen mit ihrem Gott rechten. {~}
58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
58:3 "Warum fasten wir, und du siehst es nicht an? Warum tun wir unserm Leibe wehe, und du willst's nicht wissen?" Siehe, wenn ihr fastet, so übt ihr doch euren Willen und treibt alle eure Arbeiter.
58:3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and you see not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast all of you find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
58:4 Siehe, ihr fastet, daß ihr hadert und zanket und schlaget mit gottloser Faust. Wie ihr jetzt tut, fastet ihr nicht also, daß eure Stimme in der Höhe gehört würde.
58:4 Behold, all of you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: all of you shall not fast as all of you do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
58:5 Sollte das ein Fasten sein, das ich erwählen soll, daß ein Mensch seinem Leibe des Tages übel tue oder seinen Kopf hänge wie ein Schilf oder auf einem Sack und in der Asche liege? Wollt ihr das ein Fasten nennen und einen Tag, dem HERRN angenehm?
58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
58:6 Das ist aber ein Fasten, das ich erwähle: Laß los, welche du mit Unrecht gebunden hast; laß ledig, welche du beschwerst; gib frei, welche du drängst; reiß weg allerlei Last;
58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that all of you break every yoke?
58:7 brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot, und die, so im Elend sind, führe ins Haus; so du einen nackt siehst, so kleide ihn, und entzieh dich nicht von deinem Fleisch.
58:7 Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from yours own flesh?
58:8 Alsdann wird dein Licht hervorbrechen wie die Morgenröte, und deine Besserung wird schnell wachsen, und deine Gerechtigkeit wird vor dir hergehen, und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN wird dich zu sich nehmen.
58:8 Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and yours health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
58:9 Dann wirst du rufen, so wird dir der HERR antworten; wenn du wirst schreien, wird er sagen: Siehe, hier bin ich. So du niemand bei dir beschweren wirst noch mit dem Fingern zeigen noch übel reden
58:9 Then shall you call, and the LORD shall answer; you shall cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting out of the finger, and speaking vanity;
58:10 und wirst den Hungrigen lassen finden dein Herz und die elende Seele sättigen: so wird dein Licht in der Finsternis aufgehen, und dein Dunkel wird sein wie der Mittag;
58:10 And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness be as the noon day:
58:11 und der HERR wird dich immerdar führen und deine Seele sättigen in der Dürre und deine Gebeine stärken; und du wirst sein wie ein gewässerter Garten und wie eine Wasserquelle, welcher es nimmer an Wasser fehlt;
58:11 And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
58:12 und soll durch dich gebaut werden, was lange wüst gelegen ist; und wirst Grund legen, der für und für bleibe; und sollst heißen: Der die Lücken verzäunt und die Wege bessert, daß man da wohnen möge.
58:12 And they that shall be of you shall build the old waste places: you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
58:13 So du deinen Fuß von dem Sabbat kehrst, daß du nicht tust, was dir gefällt an meinem heiligen Tage, und den Sabbat eine Lust heißt und den Tag, der dem HERRN heilig ist, ehrest, so du ihn also ehrest, daß du nicht tust deine Wege, noch darin erfunden werde, was dir gefällt oder leeres Geschwätz;
58:13 If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shall honour him, not doing yours own ways, nor finding yours own pleasure, nor speaking yours own words:
58:14 alsdann wirst du Lust haben am HERRN, und ich will dich über die Höhen auf Erden schweben lassen und will dich speisen mit dem Erbe deines Vaters Jakob; denn des HERRN Mund sagt's.
58:14 Then shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.

59:1 Siehe, des HERRN Hand ist nicht zu kurz, daß er nicht helfen könne, und seine Ohren sind nicht hart geworden, daß er nicht höre;
59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
59:2 sondern eure Untugenden scheiden euch und euren Gott voneinander, und eure Sünden verbergen das Angesicht vor euch, daß ihr nicht gehört werdet.
59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
59:3 Denn eure Hände sind mit Blut befleckt und eure Finger mit Untugend; eure Lippen reden Falsches, eure Zunge dichtet Unrechtes.
59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness.
59:4 Es ist niemand, der von Gerechtigkeit predige oder treulich richte. Man vertraut aufs Eitle und redet nichts Tüchtiges; mit Unglück sind sie schwanger und gebären Mühsal.
59:4 None calls for justice, nor any pleads for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
59:5 Sie brüten Basiliskeneier und wirken Spinnwebe. Ißt man von ihren Eiern, so muß man sterben; zertritt man's aber, so fährt eine Otter heraus.
59:5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
59:6 Ihre Spinnwebe taugt nicht zu Kleidern, und ihr Gewirke taugt nicht zur Decke; denn ihr Werk ist Unrecht, und in ihren Händen ist Frevel.
59:6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
59:7 Ihre Füße laufen zum Bösen, und sie sind schnell, unschuldig Blut zu vergießen; ihre Gedanken sind Unrecht, ihr Weg ist eitel Verderben und Schaden;
59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
59:8 sie kennen den Weg des Friedens nicht, und ist kein Recht in ihren Gängen; sie sind verkehrt auf ihren Straßen; wer darauf geht, der hat nimmer Frieden.
59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their activities: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes therein shall not know peace.
59:9 Darum ist das Recht fern von uns, und wir erlangen die Gerechtigkeit nicht. Wir harren aufs Licht, siehe, so wird's finster, auf den Schein, siehe, so wandeln wir im Dunkeln.
59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither does justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
59:10 Wir tappen nach der Wand wie die Blinden und tappen, wie die keine Augen haben. Wir stoßen uns im Mittag wie in der Dämmerung; wir sind im Düstern wie die Toten.
59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
59:11 Wir brummen alle wie die Bären und ächzen wie die Tauben; denn wir harren aufs Recht, so ist's nicht da, aufs Heil, so ist's ferne von uns.
59:11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
59:12 Denn unsere Übertretungen vor dir sind zu viel, und unsre Sünden antworten wider uns. Denn unsre Übertretungen sind bei uns und wir fühlen unsere Sünden:
59:12 For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
59:13 mit Übertreten und Lügen wider den HERRN und Zurückkehren von unserm Gott und mit Reden von Frevel und Ungehorsam, mit Trachten und dichten falscher Worte aus dem Herzen.
59:13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
59:14 Und das Recht ist zurückgewichen und Gerechtigkeit fern getreten; denn die Wahrheit fällt auf der Gasse, und Recht kann nicht einhergehen,
59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands far off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
59:15 und die Wahrheit ist dahin; und wer vom Bösen weicht, der muß jedermanns Raub sein. Solches sieht der HERR, und es gefällt ihm übel, daß kein Recht da ist.
59:15 Yea, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
59:16 Und er sieht, daß niemand da ist, und verwundert sich, daß niemand ins Mittel tritt. Darum hilft er sich selbst mit seinem Arm, und seine Gerechtigkeit steht ihm bei.
59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
59:17 Denn er zieht Gerechtigkeit an wie einen Panzer und setzt einen Helm des Heils auf sein Haupt und zieht sich an zur Rache und kleidet sich mit Eifer wie mit einem Rock,
59:17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
59:18 als der seinen Widersachern vergelten und seinen Feinden mit Grimm bezahlen will; ja, den Inseln will er bezahlen, {~}
59:18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
59:19 daß der Name des HERRN gefürchtet werde vom Niedergang und seine Herrlichkeit vom Aufgang der Sonne, wenn er kommen wird wie ein aufgehaltener Strom, den der Wind des HERRN treibt.
59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
59:20 Denn denen zu Zion wird ein Erlöser kommen und denen, die sich bekehren von den Sünden in Jakob, spricht der HERR.
59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, says the LORD.
59:21 Und ich mache solchen Bund mit ihnen, spricht der HERR: mein Geist, der bei dir ist, und meine Worte, die ich in deinen Mund gelegt habe, sollen von deinem Munde nicht weichen noch von dem Munde deines Samens und Kindeskindes, spricht der HERR, von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.
59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, says the LORD; My spirit that is upon you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

60:1 Mache dich auf, werde licht! denn dein Licht kommt, und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN geht auf über dir.
60:1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
60:2 Denn siehe, Finsternis bedeckt das Erdreich und Dunkel die Völker; aber über dir geht auf der HERR, und seine Herrlichkeit erscheint über dir.
60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.
60:3 Und die Heiden werden in deinem Lichte wandeln und die Könige im Glanz, der über dir aufgeht.
60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
60:4 Hebe deine Augen auf und siehe umher: diese alle versammelt kommen zu dir. Deine Söhne werden von ferne kommen und deine Töchter auf dem Arme hergetragen werden.
60:4 Lift up yours eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
60:5 Dann wirst du deine Lust sehen und ausbrechen, und dein Herz wird sich wundern und ausbreiten, wenn sich die Menge am Meer zu dir bekehrt und die Macht der Heiden zu dir kommt.
60:5 Then you shall see, and flow together, and yours heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto you.
60:6 Denn die Menge der Kamele wird dich bedecken, die jungen Kamele aus Midian und Epha. Sie werden aus Saba alle kommen, Gold und Weihrauch bringen und des HERRN Lob verkündigen.
60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD.
60:7 Alle Herden in Kedar sollen zu dir versammelt werden, und die Böcke Nebajoths sollen dir dienen. Sie sollen als ein angenehmes Opfer auf meinen Altar kommen; denn ich will das Haus meiner Herrlichkeit zieren.
60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto you: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
60:8 Wer sind die, welche fliegen wie die Wolken und wie die Tauben zu ihren Fenstern?
60:8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
60:9 Die Inseln harren auf mich und die Schiffe im Meer von längsther, daß sie deine Kinder von ferne herzubringen samt ihrem Silber und Gold, dem Namen des HERRN, deines Gottes, und dem Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.
60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.
60:10 Fremde werden deine Mauern bauen, und ihre Könige werden dir dienen. Denn in meinem Zorn habe ich dich geschlagen, und in meiner Gnade erbarme ich mich über dich.
60:10 And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister unto you: for in my wrath I stroke you, but in my favour have I had mercy on you.
60:11 Und deine Tore sollen stets offen stehen, weder Tag noch Nacht zugeschlossen werden, daß der Heiden Macht zu dir gebracht und ihre Könige herzugeführt werden.
60:11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto you the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
60:12 Denn welche Heiden oder Königreiche dir nicht dienen wollen, die sollen umkommen und die Heiden verwüstet werden.
60:12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
60:13 Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon soll an dich kommen, Tannen, Buchen und Buchsbaum miteinander, zu schmücken den Ort meines Heiligtums; denn ich will die Stätte meiner Füße herrlich machen.
60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
60:14 Es werden auch gebückt zu dir kommen, die dich unterdrückt haben; und alle; die dich gelästert haben, werden niederfallen zu deinen Füßen und werden dich nennen eine Stadt des HERRN, ein Zion des Heiligen in Israel.
60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted you shall come bending unto you; and all they that despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
60:15 Denn darum, daß du bist die Verlassene und Gehaßte gewesen, da niemand hindurchging, will ich dich zur Pracht ewiglich machen und zur Freude für und für,
60:15 Whereas you has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
60:16 daß du sollst Milch von den Heiden saugen, und der Könige Brust soll dich säugen, auf daß du erfährst, daß ich, der HERR, bin dein Heiland, und ich, der Mächtige in Jakob, bin dein Erlöser.
60:16 You shall also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shall suck the breast of kings: and you shall know that I the LORD am your Saviour and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
60:17 Ich will Gold anstatt des Erzes und Silber anstatt des Eisens bringen und Erz anstatt des Holzes und Eisen anstatt der Steine; und will zu deiner Obrigkeit den Frieden machen und zu deinen Vögten die Gerechtigkeit. {~}
60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make your officers peace, and yours exactors righteousness.
60:18 Man soll keinen Frevel mehr hören in deinem Lande noch Schaden oder Verderben in deinen Grenzen; sondern deine Mauern sollen Heil und deine Tore Lob heißen.
60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
60:19 Die Sonne soll nicht mehr des Tages dir scheinen, und der Glanz des Mondes soll dir nicht leuchten; sondern der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht und dein Gott wird dein Preis sein.
60:19 The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto you: but the LORD shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.
60:20 Deine Sonne wird nicht mehr untergehen noch dein Mond den Schein verlieren; denn der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht sein, und die Tage deines Leides sollen ein Ende haben.
60:20 Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be yours everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
60:21 Und dein Volk sollen eitel Gerechte sein; sie werden das Erdreich ewiglich besitzen, als die der Zweig meiner Pflanzung und ein Werk meiner Hände sind zum Preise.
60:21 Your people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
60:22 Aus dem Kleinsten sollen tausend werden und aus dem Geringsten eine Mächtiges Volk. Ich der HERR, will solches zu seiner Zeit eilend ausrichten.
60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

61:1 Der Geist des HERRN HERRN ist über mir, darum daß mich der HERR gesalbt hat. Er hat mich gesandt, den Elenden zu predigen, die zerbrochenen Herzen zu verbinden, zu verkündigen den Gefangenen die Freiheit, den Gebundenen, daß ihnen geöffnet werde,
61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
61:2 zu verkündigen ein gnädiges Jahr des Herrn und einen Tag der Rache unsers Gottes, zu trösten alle Traurigen,
61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
61:3 zu schaffen den Traurigen zu Zion, daß ihnen Schmuck für Asche und Freudenöl für Traurigkeit und schöne Kleider für einen betrübten Geist gegeben werden, daß sie genannt werden die Bäume der Gerechtigkeit, Pflanzen des HERRN zum Preise.
61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
61:4 Sie werden die alten Wüstungen bauen, und was vorzeiten zerstört ist, aufrichten; sie werden die verwüsteten Städte, so für und für zerstört gelegen sind, erneuen.
61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
61:5 Fremde werden stehen und eure Herde weiden, und Ausländer werden eure Ackerleute und Weingärtner sein.
61:5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
61:6 Ihr aber sollt Priester des HERRN heißen, und man wird euch Diener unsers Gottes nennen, und ihr werdet der Heiden Güter essen und in ihrer Herrlichkeit euch rühmen.
61:6 But all of you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: all of you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall all of you boast yourselves.
61:7 Für eure Schmach soll Zwiefältiges kommen, und für die Schande sollen sie fröhlich sein auf ihren Äckern; denn sie sollen Zwiefältiges besitzen in ihrem Lande, sie sollen ewige Freude haben.
61:7 For your shame all of you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
61:8 Denn ich bin der HERR, der das Rechte liebt, und hasse räuberische Brandopfer; und will schaffen, daß ihr Lohn soll gewiß sein, und einen ewigen Bund will ich mit ihnen machen.
61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
61:9 Und man soll ihren Samen kennen unter den Heiden und ihre Nachkommen unter den Völkern, daß, wer sie sehen wird, soll sie kennen, daß sie sein Same sind, gesegnet vom HERRN.
61:9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed.
61:10 Ich freue mich im Herrn, und meine Seele ist fröhlich in meinem Gott; denn er hat mich angezogen mit Kleidern des Heils und mit dem Rock der Gerechtigkeit gekleidet, wie einen Bräutigam, mit priesterlichem Schmuck geziert, und wie eine Braut, die in ihrem Geschmeide prangt.
61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
61:11 Denn gleichwie das Gewächs aus der Erde wächst und Same im Garten aufgeht, also wird Gerechtigkeit und Lob vor allen Heiden aufgehen aus dem HERRN HERRN.
61:11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

62:1 Um Zions willen will ich nicht schweigen, und um Jerusalems willen will ich nicht innehalten, bis daß ihre Gerechtigkeit aufgehe wie ein Glanz und ihr Heil entbrenne wie eine Fackel,
62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns.
62:2 daß die Heiden sehen deine Gerechtigkeit und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit; und du sollst mit einem neuen Namen genannt werden, welchen des HERRN Mund nennen wird.
62:2 And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
62:3 Und du wirst sein eine schöne Krone in der Hand des HERRN und ein königlicher Hut in der Hand deines Gottes.
62:3 You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
62:4 Man soll dich nicht mehr die Verlassene noch dein Land eine Verwüstung heißen; sondern du sollst "Meine Lust an ihr" und dein Land "Liebes Weib" heißen: denn der HERR hat Lust an dir und dein Land hat einen lieben Mann.
62:4 You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah: for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.
62:5 Denn wie ein Mann ein Weib liebhat, so werden dich deine Kinder liebhaben; und wie sich ein Bräutigam freut über die Braut, so wird sich dein Gott über dich freuen.
62:5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
62:6 O Jerusalem, ich will Wächter auf deine Mauern bestellen, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nimmer stillschweigen sollen und die des HERRN gedenken sollen, auf daß bei euch kein Schweigen sei
62:6 I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: all of you that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,
62:7 und ihr von ihm nicht schweiget, bis daß Jerusalem zugerichtet und gesetzt werde zum Lobe auf Erden.
62:7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
62:8 Der HERR hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei dem Arm seiner Macht: Ich will dein Getreide nicht mehr deinen Feinden zu essen geben, noch deinen Most, daran du gearbeitet hast, die Fremden trinken lassen;
62:8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give your corn to be food for yours enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink your wine, for the which you have laboured:
62:9 sondern die, so es einsammeln, sollen's auch essen und den HERRN rühmen, und die ihn einbringen, sollen ihn trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.
62:9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
62:10 Gehet hin, gehet hin durch die Tore! bereitet dem Volk den Weg! machet Bahn, machet Bahn! räumet die Steine hinweg! werft ein Panier auf über die Völker!
62:10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare all of you the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
62:11 Siehe, der HERR läßt sich hören bis an der Welt Ende: Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein Heil kommt! siehe, sein Lohn ist bei ihm, und seine Vergeltung ist vor ihm!
62:11 Behold, the LORD has proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say all of you to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
62:12 Man wird sie nennen das heilige Volk, die Erlösten des HERRN, und dich wird man heißen die besuchte und unverlassene Stadt.
62:12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

63:1 Wer ist der, so von Edom kommt, mit rötlichen Kleidern von Bozra? der so geschmückt ist in seinen Kleidern und einhertritt in seiner großen Kraft? "Ich bin's, der Gerechtigkeit lehrt und ein Meister ist zu helfen."
63:1 Who is this that comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
63:2 Warum ist dein Gewand so rotfarben und dein Kleid wie eines Keltertreters?
63:2 Wherefore are you red in yours apparel, and your garments like him that treads in the winepress?
63:3 "Ich trete die Kelter allein, und ist niemand unter den Völkern mit mir. Ich habe sie gekeltert in meinem Zorn und zertreten in meinem Grimm. Daher ist ihr Blut auf meine Kleider gespritzt, und ich habe all mein Gewand besudelt.
63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
63:4 Denn ich habe einen Tag der Rache mir vorgenommen; das Jahr, die Meinen zu erlösen, ist gekommen.
63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed has come.
63:5 Und ich sah mich um, und da war kein Helfer; und ich verwunderte mich, und niemand stand mir bei; sondern mein Arm mußte mir helfen, und mein Zorn stand mir bei.
63:5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
63:6 Und ich habe die Völker zertreten in meinem Zorn und habe sie trunken gemacht in meinem Grimm und ihr Blut auf die Erde geschüttet."
63:6 And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
63:7 Ich will der Gnade des HERRN gedenken und des Lobes des HERRN in allem, was uns der HERR getan hat, und in der großen Güte an dem Hause Israel, die er ihnen erzeigt hat nach seiner Barmherzigkeit und großen Gnade.
63:7 I will mention the loving kindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
63:8 Denn er sprach: Sie sind ja mein Volk, Kinder, die nicht falsch sind. Darum war er ihr Heiland.
63:8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
63:9 Wer sie ängstete, der ängstete ihn auch; und der Engel seines Angesichts half ihnen. Er erlöste sie, darum daß er sie liebte und ihrer schonte. Er nahm sie auf und trug sie allezeit von alters her.
63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
63:10 Aber sie erbitterten und entrüsteten seinen heiligen Geist; darum ward er ihr Feind und stritt wider sie.
63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
63:11 Und sein Volk gedachte wieder an die vorigen Zeiten, an Mose: "Wo ist denn nun, der sie aus dem Meer führte samt dem Hirten seiner Herde? Wo ist, der seinen heiligen Geist unter sie gab?
63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
63:12 der Mose bei der rechten Hand führte durch seinen herrlichen Arm? der die Wasser trennte vor ihnen her, auf daß er sich einen ewigen Namen machte?
63:12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
63:13 der sie führte durch die Tiefen wie die Rosse in der Wüste, die nicht straucheln?
63:13 That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
63:14 Wie das Vieh ins Feld hinabgeht, brachte der Geist des HERRN sie zur Ruhe; also hast du dein Volk geführt, auf daß du dir einen herrlichen Namen machtest."
63:14 As a beast goes down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name.
63:15 So schaue nun vom Himmel und siehe herab von deiner heiligen, herrlichen Wohnung. Wo ist nun dein Eifer, deine Macht? Deine große, herzliche Barmherzigkeit hält sich hart gegen mich.
63:15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where is your zeal and your strength, the sounding of your bowels and of your mercies toward me? are they restrained?
63:16 Bist du doch unser Vater; denn Abraham weiß von uns nicht, und Israel kennt uns nicht. Du aber, HERR, bist unser Vater und unser Erlöser; von alters her ist das dein Name.
63:16 Doubtless you are our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: you, O LORD, are our father, our redeemer; your name is from everlasting.
63:17 Warum lässest du uns, HERR, irren von deinen Wegen und unser Herz verstocken, daß wir dich nicht fürchten? Kehre wieder um deiner Knechte willen, um der Stämme willen deines Erbes.
63:17 O LORD, why have you made us to go astray from your ways, and hardened our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of yours inheritance.
63:18 Sie besitzen dein heiliges Volk schier ganz; deine Widersacher zertreten dein Heiligtum.
63:18 The people of your holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary.
63:19 Wir sind geworden wie solche, über die du niemals herrschtest und die nicht nach deinem Namen genannt wurden.
63:19 We are yours: you never bare rule over them; they were not called by your name.

64:1 Ach daß du den Himmel zerrissest und führest herab, daß die Berge vor dir zerflössen, wie ein heißes Wasser vom heftigen Feuer versiedet,
64:1 Oh that you would rend the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might flow down at your presence,
64:2 1b daß dein Name kund würde unter deinen Feinden und die Heiden vor dir zittern müßten,
64:2 As when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make your name known to yours adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence!
64:3 durch die Wunder, die du tust, deren man sich nicht versieht, daß du herabführest und die Berge vor dir zerflössen!
64:3 When you did terrible things which we looked not for, you came down, the mountains flowed down at your presence.
64:4 Wie denn von der Welt her nicht vernommen ist noch mit Ohren gehört, auch kein Auge gesehen hat einen Gott außer dir, der so wohltut denen, die auf ihn harren.
64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him.
64:5 Du begegnest dem Fröhlichen und denen, so Gerechtigkeit übten und auf deinen Wegen dein gedachten. Siehe, du zürntest wohl, da wir sündigten und lange darin blieben; uns ward aber dennoch geholfen.
64:5 You meet him that rejoices and works righteousness, those that remember you in your ways: behold, you are angry; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
64:6 Aber nun sind wir allesamt wie die Unreinen, und alle unsre Gerechtigkeit ist wie ein unflätig Kleid. Wir sind alle verwelkt wie die Blätter, und unsre Sünden führen uns dahin wie Wind.
64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
64:7 Niemand ruft deinen Namen an oder macht sich auf, daß er sich an dich halte; denn du verbirgst dein Angesicht vor uns und lässest uns in unsern Sünden verschmachten.
64:7 And there is none that calls upon your name, that stirs up himself to take hold of you: for you have hid your face from us, and have consumed us, because of our iniquities.
64:8 Aber nun, HERR, du bist unser Vater; wir sind der Ton, du bist der Töpfer; und wir alle sind deiner Hände Werk.
64:8 But now, O LORD, you are our father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand.
64:9 HERR, zürne nicht zu sehr und denke nicht ewig der Sünde. Siehe doch das an, daß wir alle dein Volk sind.
64:9 Be not angry very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we plead to you, we are all your people.
64:10 Die Städte deines Heiligtums sind zur Wüste geworden; Zion ist zur Wüste geworden, Jerusalem liegt zerstört.
64:10 Your holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
64:11 Das Haus unsrer Heiligkeit und Herrlichkeit, darin dich unsre Väter gelobt haben, ist mit Feuer verbrannt; und alles, was wir Schönes hatten, ist zu Schanden gemacht.
64:11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
64:12 HERR, willst du so hart sein zu solchem und schweigen und uns so sehr niederschlagen?
64:12 Will you refrain yourself for these things, O LORD? will you hold your peace, and afflict us very sore?

65:1 Ich werde gesucht von denen, die nicht nach mir fragten; ich werde gefunden von denen, die mich nicht suchten; und zu den Heiden, die meinen Namen nicht anriefen, sage ich: Hier bin ich, hier bin ich!
65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
65:2 Ich recke meine Hand aus den ganzen Tag zu einem ungehorsamen Volk, das seinen Gedanken nachwandelt auf einem Wege, der nicht gut ist.
65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walks in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
65:3 Ein Volk, das mich entrüstet, ist immer vor meinem Angesicht, opfert in den Gärten und räuchert auf den Ziegelsteinen,
65:3 A people that provokes me to anger continually to my face; that sacrifices in gardens, and burns incense upon altars of brick;
65:4 sitzt unter den Gräbern und bleibt über Nacht in den Höhlen, fressen Schweinefleisch und haben Greuelsuppen in ihren Töpfen
65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
65:5 und sprechen: "Bleibe daheim und rühre mich nicht an; denn ich bin heilig." Solche sollen ein Rauch werden in meinem Zorn, ein Feuer, das den ganzen Tag brenne.
65:5 Which say, Stand by yourself, come not near to me; for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day.
65:6 Siehe, es steht vor mir geschrieben: Ich will nicht schweigen, sondern bezahlen; ja, ich will ihnen in ihren Busen bezahlen,
65:6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
65:7 beide, ihre Missetaten und ihrer Väter Missetaten miteinander, spricht der HERR, die auf den Bergen geräuchert und mich auf den Hügeln geschändet haben; ich will ihnen zumessen ihr voriges Tun in ihren Busen.
65:7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
65:8 So spricht der HERR: Gleich als wenn man Most in der Traube findet und spricht: "Verderbe es nicht, denn es ist ein Segen darin!", also will ich um meiner Knechte willen tun, daß ich es nicht alles verderbe,
65:8 Thus says the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
65:9 sondern will aus Jakob Samen wachsen lassen und aus Juda, der meinen Berg besitze; denn meine Auserwählten sollen ihn besitzen, und meine Knechte sollen daselbst wohnen.
65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
65:10 Und Saron soll eine Weide für die Herde und das Tal Achor soll zum Viehlager werden meinem Volk, das mich sucht.
65:10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
65:11 Aber ihr, die ihr den HERRN verlasset und meines heiligen Berges vergesset und richtet dem Gad einen Tisch und schenkt vom Trankopfer voll ein der Meni,
65:11 But all of you are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
65:12 wohlan ich will euch zählen zum Schwert, daß ihr euch alle bücken müßt zur Schlachtung, darum daß ich rief, und ihr antwortetet nicht, daß ich redete, und ihr hörtet nicht, sonder tatet, was mir übel gefiel, und erwähltet, was mir nicht gefiel.
65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and all of you shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, all of you did not answer; when I spoke, all of you did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
65:13 Darum spricht der HERR HERR also: Siehe, meine Knechte sollen essen, ihr aber sollt hungern; siehe, meine Knechte sollen trinken, ihr aber sollt dürsten; siehe, meine Knechte sollen fröhlich sein, ihr aber sollt zu Schanden werden;
65:13 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but all of you shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but all of you shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but all of you shall be ashamed:
65:14 siehe, meine Knechte sollen vor gutem Mut jauchzen, ihr aber sollt vor Herzeleid schreien und vor Jammer heulen
65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but all of you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.
65:15 und sollt euren Namen lassen meinen Auserwählten zum Schwur; und der HERR wird dich töten und seine Knechte mit einem andern Namen nennen, {~}
65:15 And all of you shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay you, and call his servants by another name:
65:16 daß, welcher sie segnen wird auf Erden, der wird sich in dem wahrhaftigen Gott segnen, und welcher schwören wird auf Erden, der wird bei dem wahrhaftigen Gott schwören; denn der vorigen Ängste ist vergessen, und sie sind vor meinen Augen verborgen.
65:16 That he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
65:17 Denn siehe, ich will einen neuen Himmel und eine neue Erde schaffen, daß man der vorigen nicht mehr gedenken wird noch sie zu Herzen nehmen;
65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
65:18 sondern sie werden sich ewiglich freuen und fröhlich sein über dem, was ich schaffe. Denn siehe, ich will Jerusalem schaffen zur Wonne und ihr Volk zur Freude,
65:18 But be all of you glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
65:19 und ich will fröhlich sein über Jerusalem und mich freuen über mein Volk; und soll nicht mehr darin gehört werden die Stimme des Weinens noch die Stimme des Klagens.
65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
65:20 Es sollen nicht mehr dasein Kinder, die nur etliche Tage leben, oder Alte, die ihre Jahre nicht erfüllen; sondern die Knaben sollen hundert Jahre alt sterben und die Sünder hundert Jahre alt verflucht werden.
65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
65:21 Sie werden Häuser bauen und bewohnen; sie werden Weinberge pflanzen und ihre Früchte essen.
65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
65:22 Sie sollen nicht bauen, was ein andrer bewohne, und nicht pflanzen, was ein andrer esse. Denn die Tage meines Volke werden sein wie die Tage eines Baumes; und das Werk ihrer Hände wird alt werden bei meinen Auserwählten.
65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
65:23 Sie sollen nicht umsonst arbeiten noch unzeitige Geburt gebären; denn sie sind der Same der Gesegneten des HERRN und ihre Nachkommen mit ihnen.
65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
65:24 Und soll geschehen, ehe sie rufen, will ich antworten; wenn sie noch reden, will ich hören.
65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
65:25 Wolf und Lamm sollen weiden zugleich, der Löwe wird Stroh essen wie ein Rind, und die Schlange soll Erde essen. Sie werden nicht schaden noch verderben auf meinem ganzen heiligen Berge, spricht der HERR.
65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD.

66:1 So spricht der HERR: Der Himmel ist mein Stuhl und die Erde meine Fußbank; was ist's denn für ein Haus, daß ihr mir bauen wollt, oder welches ist die Stätte, da ich ruhen soll? {~}
66:1 Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that all of you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
66:2 Meine Hand hat alles gemacht, was da ist, spricht der HERR. Ich sehe aber an den Elenden und der zerbrochenen Geistes ist und der sich fürchtet vor meinem Wort.
66:2 For all those things has mine hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.
66:3 Wer einen Ochsen schlachtet, ist eben als der einen Mann erschlüge; wer ein Schaf opfert, ist als der einem Hund den Hals bräche; wer Speisopfer bringt, ist als der Saublut opfert, wer Weihrauch anzündet, ist als der das Unrecht lobt. Solches erwählen sie in ihren Wegen, und ihre Seele hat Gefallen an ihren Greueln.
66:3 He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
66:4 Darum will ich auch erwählen, was ihnen wehe tut; und was sie scheuen, will ich über sie kommen lassen, darum daß ich rief, und niemand antwortete, daß ich redete, und sie hörten nicht und taten, was mir übel gefiel, und erwählten, was mir nicht gefiel.
66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
66:5 Höret des HERRN Wort, die ihr euch fürchtet vor seinem Wort: Eure Brüder, die euch hassen und sondern euch ab um meines Namens willen, sprechen: "Laßt sehen, wie herrlich der HERR sei, laßt ihn erscheinen zu eurer Freude"; die sollen zu Schanden werden.
66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, all of you that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
66:6 Man wird hören eine Stimme des Getümmels in der Stadt, eine Stimme vom Tempel, eine Stimme des HERRN, der seinen Feinden bezahlt. {~}
66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that renders recompence to his enemies.
66:7 Sie gebiert, ehe ihr wehe wird; sie ist genesen eines Knaben, ehe denn ihre Kindsnot kommt.
66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a male child.
66:8 Wer hat solches je gehört? wer hat solches je gesehen? Kann auch, ehe denn ein Land die Wehen kriegt, ein Volk auf einmal geboren werden? Nun hat doch ja Zion ihre Kinder ohne Wehen geboren. {~}
66:8 Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
66:9 Sollte ich das Kind lassen die Mutter brechen und nicht auch lassen geboren werden? spricht der HERR. Sollte ich, der gebären läßt, verschließen? spricht dein Gott.
66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your God.
66:10 Freuet euch mit Jerusalem und seid fröhlich über sie, alle, die ihr sie liebhabt; freuet euch mit ihr, alle, die ihr hier über sie traurig gewesen seid!
66:10 Rejoice all of you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:
66:11 Denn dafür sollt ihr saugen und satt werden von den Brüsten ihres Trostes; ihr sollt dafür saugen und euch ergötzen an der Fülle ihrer Herrlichkeit.
66:11 That all of you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that all of you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
66:12 Denn also spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich breite aus den Frieden bei ihr wie einen Strom und die Herrlichkeit der Heiden wie einen ergossenen Bach; da werdet ihr saugen. Ihr sollt auf dem Arme getragen werden, und auf den Knieen wird man euch freundlich halten.
66:12 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall all of you suck, all of you shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
66:13 Ich will euch trösten, wie einen seine Mutter tröstet; ja, ihr sollt an Jerusalem ergötzt werden.
66:13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and all of you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
66:14 Ihr werdet's sehen, und euer Herz wird sich freuen, und euer Gebein soll grünen wie Gras. Da wird man erkennen die Hand des HERRN an seinen Knechten und den Zorn an seinen Feinden.
66:14 And when all of you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
66:15 Denn siehe, der HERR wird kommen mit Feuer und seine Wagen wie ein Wetter, daß er vergelte im Grimm seines Zorns und mit Schelten in Feuerflammen.
66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
66:16 Denn der HERR wird durchs Feuer richten und durch sein Schwert alles Fleisch; und der Getöteten des HERRN wird viel sein.
66:16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
66:17 Die sich heiligen und reinigen in den Gärten, einer hier, der andere da, und essen Schweinefleisch, Greuel und Mäuse, sollen weggerafft werden miteinander, spricht der HERR.
66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, says the LORD.
66:18 Und ich kenne ihre Werke und Gedanken. Es kommt die Zeit, daß ich sammle alle Heiden und Zungen, daß sie kommen und sehen meine Herrlichkeit.
66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
66:19 Und ich will ein Zeichen unter sie geben und ihrer etliche, die errettet sind, senden zu den Heiden, gen Tharsis, gen Phul und Lud zu den Bogenschützen, gen Thubal und Javan und in die Ferne zu den Inseln, da man nichts von mir gehört hat und die meine Herrlichkeit nicht gesehen haben; und sollen meine Herrlichkeit unter den Heiden verkündigen.
66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles far off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
66:20 Und sie werden alle eure Brüder aus allen Heiden herzubringen, dem HERR zum Speisopfer, auf Rossen und Wagen, auf Sänften, auf Maultieren und Dromedaren gen Jerusalem, zu meinem heiligen Berge, spricht der HERR, gleichwie die Kinder Israel Speisopfer in reinem Gefäß bringen zum Hause des HERRN.
66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
66:21 Und ich will auch aus ihnen nehmen Priester und Leviten, spricht der HERR.
66:21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, says the LORD.
66:22 Denn gleichwie der neue Himmel und die neue Erde, die ich mache, vor mir stehen, spricht der HERR, also soll auch euer Same und Name stehen.
66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
66:23 Und alles Fleisch wird einen Neumond nach dem andern und einen Sabbat nach dem andern kommen, anzubeten vor mir, spricht der HERR. {~}
66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.
66:24 Und sie werden hinausgehen und schauen die Leichname der Leute, die an mir übel gehandelt haben; denn ihr Wurm wird nicht sterben, und ihr Feuer nicht verlöschen, und werden allem Fleisch ein Greuel sein.
66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
