13:1 Und David hielt einen Rat mit den Hauptleuten Über tausend und Über hundert und mit allen FÜrsten
13:1 And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
13:2 und sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde Israel: Gefällt es euch und ist's vom HERRN, unserm Gott, so laßt uns allenthalben ausschicken zu unsern andern BrÜdern in allen Landen Israels und mit ihnen zu den Priestern und Leviten in den Städten, da sie Vorstädte haben, daß sie zu uns versammelt werden, {~}
13:2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:
13:3 und laßt uns die Lade unsers Gottes zu uns wieder holen; denn zu den Zeiten Sauls fragten wir nicht nach ihr.
13:3 And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
13:4 Da sprach die ganze Gemeinde, man sollte also tun; denn solches gefiel allem Volk wohl.
13:4 And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
13:5 Also versammelte David das ganze Israel, vom Sihor Ägyptens an, bis man kommt gen Hamath, die Lade Gottes zu holen von Kirjath-Jearim.
13:5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
13:6 Und David zog hinauf mit ganz Israel gen Baala, nach Kirjath-Jearim, welches liegt in Juda, daß er von da heraufbrächte die Lade Gottes, des HERRN, der auf dem Cherubim sitzt, da der Name angerufen wird.
13:6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwells between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
13:7 Und sie ließen die Lade Gottes auf einem neuen Wagen fÜhren aus dem Hause Abinadabs. Usa aber und sein Bruder trieben den Wagen.
13:7 And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
13:8 David aber und das ganze Israel spielten vor Gott her aus ganzer Macht mit Liedern, mit Harfen, mit Psaltern, mit Pauken, mit Zimbeln, und mit Posaunen.
13:8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
13:9 Da sie aber kamen zur Tenne Chidon, reckte Usa seine Hand aus, die Lade zu halten; denn die Rinder schritten beiseit aus.
13:9 And when they came unto the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
13:10 Da erzÜrnte der Grimm des HERRN Über Usa, und er schlug ihn, darum daß er seine Hand hatte ausgereckt an die Lade, daß er daselbst starb vor Gott.
13:10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he stroke him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
13:11 Da ward David traurig, daß der HERR den Usa wegriß, und hieß die Stätte Perez-Usa bis auf diesen Tag.
13:11 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
13:12 Und David fÜrchtete sich vor Gott des Tages und sprach: Wie soll ich die Lade Gottes zu mir bringen?
13:12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
13:13 Darum ließ er die Lade Gottes nicht zu sich bringen in die Stadt Davids, sondern lenkte sie hin ins Haus Obed-Edoms, des Gahtiters.
13:13 So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
13:14 Also blieb die Lade Gottes bei Obed-Edom in seinem Hause drei Monate. Und der HERR segnete das Haus Obed-Edoms und alles, was er hatte.
13:14 And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.

14:1 Und Hiram, der König zu Tyrus, sandte Boten zu David und Zedernholz, Maurer und Zimmerleute, daß sie ihm ein Haus bauten.
14:1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with stone workers and carpenters, to build him an house.
14:2 Und David merkte, daß ihn der HERR zum König Über Israel bestätigt hatte; denn sein Königreich stieg auf um seines Volkes Israel willen.
14:2 And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
14:3 Und David nahm noch mehr Weiber zu Jerusalem und zeugte noch mehr Söhne und Töchter.
14:3 And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David brings forth more sons and daughters.
14:4 Und die ihm zu Jerusalem geboren wurden, hießen also: Sammua, Sobab, Nathan, Salomo,
14:4 Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
14:5 Jibhar, Elisua, Elpelet,
14:5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
14:6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
14:6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
14:7 Elisama, Baeljada, Eliphelet.
14:7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
14:8 Und da die Philister hörten, daß David zum König gesalbt war Über ganz Israel, zogen sie alle herauf, David zu suchen. Da das David hörte, zog aus gegen sie.
14:8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.
14:9 Und die Philister kamen und ließen sich nieder im Grunde Rephaim.
14:9 And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
14:10 David aber fragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich hinaufziehen wider die Philister? und willst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zieh hinauf! ich hab sie in deine Hände gegeben.
14:10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will you deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into yours hand.
14:11 Und da sie hinaufzogen gen Baal-Perazim, schlug sie David daselbst. Und David sprach: Gott hat meine Feinde durch meine Hand zertrennt, wie sich das Wasser trennt. Daher hießen sie die Stätte Baal-Perazim.
14:11 So they came up to Baalperazim; and David stroke them there. Then David said, God has broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking out of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.
14:12 Und sie ließen ihre Götter daselbst; da hieß sie David mit Feuer verbrennen.
14:12 And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.
14:13 Aber die Philister machten sich wieder heran und ließen sich nieder im Grunde.
14:13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.
14:14 Und David fragte abermals Gott; und Gott sprach zu ihm: Du sollst nicht hinaufziehen hinter ihnen her, sondern lenke dich von ihnen, daß du an sie kommst gegenÜber den Maulbeerbäumen.
14:14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them opposite to the mulberry trees.
14:15 Wenn du dann wirst hören das Rauschen oben auf den Maulbeerbäumen einhergehen, so fahre heraus zum Streit; denn Gott ist da vor dir ausgezogen, zu schlagen der Philister Heer.
14:15 And it shall be, when you shall hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall go out to battle: for God is gone forth before you to strike the host of the Philistines.
14:16 Und David tat, wie ihm Gott geboten hatte; und sie schlugen das Heer der Philister von Gibeon an bis gen Geser.
14:16 David therefore did as God commanded him: and they stroke the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.
14:17 Und Davids Namen ging aus in alle Lande, und der HERR ließ seine Furcht Über alle Heiden kommen.
14:17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.

15:1 Und er baute Häuser in der Stadt Davids und bereitete der Lade Gottes eine Stätte und breitete eine HÜtte Über sie.
15:1 And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
15:2 Dazumal sprach David: Die Lade Gottes soll niemand tragen außer den Leviten; denn diese hat der HERR erwählt, daß sie die Lade Gottes tragen und ihm dienen ewiglich.
15:2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them has the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
15:3 Da versammelte David das ganze Israel gen Jerusalem, daß sie die Lade des HERRN hinaufbrächten an die Stätte, die er dazu bereitet hatte.
15:3 And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
15:4 Und David brachte zuhauf die Kinder Aaron und die Leviten:
15:4 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
15:5 aus den Kindern Kahath: Uriel, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, hundertundzwanzig;
15:5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
15:6 aus den Kindern Merari: Asaja, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, zweihundertzwanzig;
15:6 Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
15:7 aus den Kindern Gerson: Joel, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, hundertunddreißig;
15:7 Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
15:8 aus den Kindern Elizaphan: Semaja, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, zweihundert;
15:8 Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
15:9 aus den Kindern Hebron: Eliel, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, achtzig;
15:9 Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
15:10 aus den Kinder Usiel: Amminadab, den Obersten, samt seinen BrÜdern, hundertundzwölf.
15:10 Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
15:11 Und David rief Zadok und Abjathar, die Priester, und die Leviten, nämlich Uriel, Asaja, Joel, Semaja, Eliel, Amminadab,
15:11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
15:12 und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid die Häupter der Vaterhäuser unter den Leviten; so heiligt nun euch und eure BrÜder, daß ihr die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbringt an den Ort, den ich ihr bereitet habe;
15:12 And said unto them, All of you are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both all of you and your brethren, that all of you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
15:13 denn das erstemal, da ihr nicht da waret, machte der HERR, unser Gott, einen Riß unter uns, darum daß wir ihn nicht suchten, wie sich's gebÜhrt.
15:13 For because all of you did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
15:14 Also heiligten sich die Priester und die Leviten, daß sie die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbrächten.
15:14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15:15 Und die Kinder Levi trugen die Lade Gottes auf ihren Achseln mit den Stangen daran, wie Mose geboten hatte nach dem Wort des HERRN.
15:15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
15:16 Und David sprach zu den Obersten der Leviten, daß sie ihre BrÜder zu Sängern bestellen sollten mit Saitenspiel, mit Psaltern, Harfen und hellen Zimbeln, daß sie laut sängen und mit Freuden.
15:16 And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
15:17 Da bestellten die Leviten Heman, den Sohn Joels, und aus seinen BrÜdern Asaph, den Sohn Berechjas, und aus den Kindern Meraris, ihren BrÜdern, Ethan, den Sohn Kusajas,
15:17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
15:18 und mit ihnen ihre BrÜder der zweiten Ordnung: Sacharja, Ben-Jaesiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Matthithja, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, die TorhÜter.
15:18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.
15:19 Denn Heman, Asaph und Ethan waren Sänger mit ehernen Zimbeln, hell zu klingen;
15:19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
15:20 Sacharja aber, Asiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja und Benaja mit Psaltern, nachzusingen;
15:20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
15:21 Matthithja aber, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiel und Asasja mit Harfen von acht Saiten, vorzusingen;
15:21 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
15:22 Chenanja aber, der Leviten Oberster, der Sangmeister, daß er sie unterwiese zu singen; denn er war verständig.
15:22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.
15:23 Und Berechja und Elkana waren TorhÜter der Lade.
15:23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
15:24 Aber Sebanja, Josaphat, Nathanael, Amasai, Sacharja, Benaja, Elieser, die Priester, bliesen die Drommeten vor der Lade Gottes; und Obed-Edom und Jehia waren TorhÜter an der Lade.
15:24 And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
15:25 Also gingen hin David und die Ältesten in Israel und die Obersten Über die Tausende, heraufzuholen die Lade des Bundes des HERRN aus dem Hause Obed-Edoms mit Freuden.
15:25 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.
15:26 Und da Gott den Leviten half, die die Lade des Bundes des HERRN trugen, opferte man sieben Farren und sieben Widder.
15:26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
15:27 Und David hatte einen leinenen Rock an, dazu alle Leviten, die die Lade trugen, und die Sänger und Chenanja, der Sangmeister, mit den Sängern; auch hatte David einen leinenen Leibrock darÜber.
15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
15:28 Also brachte das ganze Israel die Lade des Bundes des HERRN hinauf mit Jauchzen, Posaunen, Drommeten und hellen Zimbeln, mit Psaltern und Harfen.
15:28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
15:29 Da nun die Lade des Bundes des HERRN in die Stadt Davids kam, sah Michal, die Tochter Sauls, zum Fenster heraus; und da sie den König David sah hÜpfen und spielen, verachtete sie ihn in ihrem Herzen.
15:29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

16:1 Und da sie die Lade Gottes hineinbrachten, setzten sie sie in die HÜtte, die ihr David aufgerichtet hatte, und opferten Brandopfer und Dankopfer vor Gott.
16:1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
16:2 Und da David die Brandopfer und Dankopfer ausgerichtet hatte, segnete er das Volk im Namen des HERRN
16:2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
16:3 und teilte aus jedermann in Israel, Männern und Weibern, einen Laib Brot und ein StÜck Fleisch und ein halbes Maß Wein.
16:3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
16:4 Und er bestellte etliche Leviten zu Dienern vor der Lade des HERRN, daß sie priesen, dankten und lobten den HERRN, den Gott Israels:
16:4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
16:5 nämlich Asaph, den ersten, Sacharja, den andern, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Matthithja, Eliab, Benaja, Obed-Edom und Jeiel mit Psaltern und Harfen, Asaph aber mit hellen Zimbeln,
16:5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
16:6 Benaja aber und Jahasiel, die Priester, mit Drommeten allezeit vor der Lade des Bundes Gottes.
16:6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
16:7 Zu der Zeit bestellte David zum ersten, dem HERRN zu danken, durch Asaph und seine BrÜder:
16:7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
16:8 Danket dem HERRN, prediget seinen Namen; tut kund unter den Völkern sein Tun!
16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
16:9 Singet und spielet ihm; dichtet von allen seinen Wundern!
16:9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk all of you of all his wondrous works.
16:10 RÜhmet seinen heiligen Namen; es freue sich das Herz derer, die den HERRN suchen!
16:10 Glory all of you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
16:11 Fraget nach dem HERRN und nach seiner Macht; suchet sein Angesicht allezeit!
16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
16:12 Gedenket seiner Wunderwerke, die er getan hat, seiner Wunder und der Gerichte seines Mundes,
16:12 Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
16:13 ihr, der Same Israels, seines Knechtes, ihr Kinder Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!
16:13 O all of you seed of Israel his servant, all of you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
16:14 Er ist der HERR, unser Gott; er richtet in aller Welt.
16:14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
16:15 Gedenket ewiglich seines Bundes, was er verheißen hat in tausend Geschlechter,
16:15 Be all of you mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16:16 den er gemacht hat mit Abraham, und seines Eides mit Isaak;
16:16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
16:17 und stellte es Jakob zum Recht und Israel zum ewigen Bund
16:17 And has confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
16:18 und sprach: Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben, das Los eures Erbteils,
16:18 Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
16:19 da sie wenig und gering waren und Fremdlinge darin.
16:19 When all of you were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
16:20 Und sie zogen von einem Volk zum andern und aus einem Königreich zum andern Volk.
16:20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
16:21 Er ließ niemand ihnen Schaden tun und strafte Könige um ihretwillen.
16:21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
16:22 "Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an und tut meinen Propheten kein Leid!"
16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16:23 Singet dem HERRN, alle Lande; verkÜndiget täglich sein Heil!
16:23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.
16:24 Erzählet unter den Heiden seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder!
16:24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
16:25 Denn der HERR ist groß und sehr löblich und herrlich Über alle Götter.
16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
16:26 Denn aller Heiden Götter sind Götzen; der HERR aber hat den Himmel gemacht.
16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
16:27 Es stehet herrlich und prächtig vor ihm und gehet gewaltig und fröhlich zu an seinem Ort.
16:27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
16:28 Bringet her dem HERRN, ihr Völker, bringet her dem HERRN Ehre und Macht!
16:28 Give unto the LORD, all of you families of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
16:29 Bringet her dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens; bringet Geschenke und kommt vor ihn und betet den HERRN an in heiligem Schmuck!
16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
16:30 Es fÜrchte ihn alle Welt; er hat den Erdboden bereitet, daß er nicht bewegt wird.
16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
16:31 Es freue sich der Himmel, und die Erde sei Fröhlich; und man sage unter den Heiden, daß der HERR regieret.
16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigns.
16:32 Das Meer brause und was darinnen ist; und das Feld sei fröhlich und alles, was darauf ist.
16:32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
16:33 Und lasset jauchzen alle Bäume im Walde vor dem HERRN; denn er kommt, zu richten die Erde.
16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he comes to judge the earth.
16:34 Danket dem HERRN; denn er ist freundlich, und seine GÜte währet ewiglich.
16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.
16:35 Und sprecht: Hilf uns, Gott, unser Heiland, und sammle uns und errette uns aus den Heiden, daß wir deinem heiligen Namen danken und dir Lob sagen.
16:35 And say all of you, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.
16:36 Gelobet sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sagte Amen! und: Lobe den HERRN!
16:36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
16:37 Also ließ er daselbst vor der Lade des Bundes des HERRN den Asaph und seine BrÜder, zu dienen vor der Lade allezeit, einen jeglichen Tag sein Tagewerk,
16:37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
16:38 aber Obed-Edom und ihre BrÜder, achtundsechzig, und Obed-Edom, den Sohn Jedithuns, und Hosa zu TorhÜtern.
16:38 And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
16:39 Und Zadok, den Priester, und seine BrÜder, die Priester, ließ er vor der Wohnung des HERRN auf der Höhe zu Gibeon,
16:39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
16:40 daß sie dem HERRN täglich Brandopfer täten auf dem Brandopferaltar, des Morgens und des Abends, wie geschrieben steht im Gesetz des HERRN, das er an Israel geboten hat,
16:40 To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
16:41 und mit ihnen Heman und Jedithun und die andern Erwählten, die mit Namen benannt waren, zu danken dem HERRN, daß seine GÜte währet ewiglich,
16:41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endures for ever;
16:42 und mit ihnen Heman und Jedithun, mit Drommeten und Zimbeln zu klingen und mit Saitenspielen Gottes. Die Kinder aber Jedithun machte er zu TorhÜtern.
16:42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
16:43 Also zog alles Volk heim, ein jeglicher in sein Haus; und David kehrte auch heim, sein Haus zu grÜßen.
16:43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

17:1 Es begab sich, da David in seinem Hause wohnte, sprach er zu dem Propheten Nathan: Siehe, ich wohne in einem Zedernhaus, und die Lade des Bundes des HERRN ist unter Teppichen.
17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remains under curtains.
17:2 Nathan sprach zu David: Alles was in deinem Herzen ist, das tue; denn Gott ist mit dir.
17:2 Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in yours heart; for God is with you.
17:3 Aber in derselben Nacht kam das Wort Gottes zu Nathan und sprach:
17:3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
17:4 Gehe hin und sage David, meinem Knecht: So spricht der HERR: Du sollst mir nicht ein Haus bauen zur Wohnung.
17:4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build me an house to dwell in:
17:5 Denn ich habe in keinem Hause gewohnt von dem Tage an, da ich die Kinder Israel ausfÜhrte, bis auf diesen Tag; sondern bin gewesen, wo die HÜtte gewesen ist und die Wohnung.
17:5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
17:6 Wo ich wandelte im ganzen Israel, habe ich auch zu der Richter einem in Israel je gesagt, denen ich gebot zu weiden mein Volk, und gesprochen: Warum baut ihr mir nicht ein Zedernhaus?
17:6 Where ever I have walked with all Israel, spoke I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have all of you not built me an house of cedars?
17:7 So sprich nun also zu meinem Knecht David: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich habe dich genommen von der Weide hinter den Schafen, daß du solltest sein ein FÜrst Über mein Volk Israel,
17:7 Now therefore thus shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
17:8 und bin mit dir gewesen, wo du hin gegangen bist, und habe deine Feinde ausgerottet vor dir und habe dir einen Namen gemacht, wie die Großen auf Erden Namen haben.
17:8 And I have been with you anywhere you have walked, and have cut off all yours enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
17:9 Und ich will meinem Volk Israel eine Stätte setzen und will es pflanzen, daß es daselbst wohnen soll und nicht mehr bewegt werde; und die bösen Leute sollen es nicht mehr schwächen wie vormals und zu den Zeiten, da ich den Richtern gebot Über mein Volk Israel.
17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
17:10 Und ich will alle deine Feinde demÜtigen und verkÜndige dir, daß der HERR dir ein Haus bauen will.
17:10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all yours enemies. Furthermore I tell you that the LORD will build you an house.
17:11 Wenn aber deine Tage aus sind, daß du hingehst zu deinen Vätern, so will ich dir Samen erwecken, der deiner Söhne einer sein soll; dem will ich sein Königreich bestätigen.
17:11 And it shall come to pass, when your days be expired that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
17:12 Der soll mir ein Haus bauen, und ich will seinen Stuhl bestätigen ewiglich.
17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever.
17:13 Ich will sein Vater sein, und er soll mein Sohn sein. Und ich will meine Barmherzigkeit nicht von ihm wenden, wie ich sie von dem gewandt habe, der vor dir war;
17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you:
17:14 sondern ich will ihn setzen in mein Haus und in mein Königreich ewiglich, daß sein Stuhl beständig sei ewiglich.
17:14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
17:15 Und da Nathan nach allen diesen Worten und all diesem Gesicht mit David redete, {~}
17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
17:16 kam der König David und blieb vor dem HERRN und sprach: Wer bin ich, HERR, GOTT, und was ist mein Haus, daß du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?
17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that you have brought me until now?
17:17 Und das hat dich noch zu wenig gedeucht, Gott, sondern du hast Über das Haus deines Knechtes noch von fernem ZukÜnftigen geredet; und hast mich angesehen nach Menschenweise, der du in der Höhe Gott der HERR bist.
17:17 And yet this was a small thing in yours eyes, O God; for you have also spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
17:18 Was soll David mehr sagen zu dir, daß du deinem Knecht herrlich machst? Du erkennst deinen Knecht.
17:18 What can David speak more to you for the honour of your servant? for you know your servant.
17:19 HERR, um deines Knechtes willen, nach deinem Herzen hast du alle solche großen Dinge getan, daß du kundtätest alle Herrlichkeit.
17:19 O LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
17:20 HERR, es ist deinesgleichen nicht und ist kein Gott denn du, nach allem, was wir mit unseren Ohren gehört haben.
17:20 O LORD, there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
17:21 Und wo ist ein Volk auf Erden wie dein Volk Israel, um welches willen Gott hingegangen ist, sich ein Volk zu erlösen und sich selbst einen Namen zu machen von großen und schrecklichen Dingen, Heiden auszustoßen vor deinem Volk her, das du aus Ägypten erlöst hast.
17:21 And what one nation in the earth is like your people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make you a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before your people whom you have redeemed out of Egypt?
17:22 Und du hast dir dein Volk Israel zum Volk gemacht ewiglich; und du, HERR, bist ihr Gott geworden.
17:22 For your people Israel did you make yours own people for ever; and you, LORD, became their God.
17:23 Nun, HERR, das Wort, das du geredet hast Über deinen Knecht und Über sein Haus, werde wahr ewiglich, und tue, wie du geredet hast.
17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as you have said.
17:24 Und dein Name werde wahr und groß ewiglich, daß man sage: Der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, ist Gott in Israel, und das Haus deines Knechtes David ist beständig vor dir.
17:24 Let it even be established, that your name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David your servant be established before you.
17:25 Denn du, mein Gott, hast das Ohr deines Knechtes geöffnet, daß du ihm ein Haus bauen willst; darum hat dein Knecht Mut gefunden, daß er vor dir betet.
17:25 For you, O my God, have told your servant that you will build him an house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray before you.
17:26 Nun, HERR, du bist Gott und hast solch Gutes deinem Knecht geredet.
17:26 And now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this goodness unto your servant:
17:27 Nun hebe an, zu segnen das Haus deines Knechtes, daß es ewiglich sei vor dir; denn was du, HERR, segnest, das ist gesegnet ewiglich.
17:27 Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may be before you for ever: for you bless, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.

18:1 Nach diesem schlug David die Philister und demÜtigte sie und nahm Gath und seine Ortschaften aus der Philister Hand.
18:1 Now after this it came to pass, that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
18:2 Auch schlug er die Moabiter, daß die Moabiter David untertänig wurden und Geschenke brachten.
18:2 And he stroke Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
18:3 Er schlug auch Hadadeser, den König zu Zoba und Hamath, da er hinzog, sein Zeichen aufzurichten am Wasser Euphrat.
18:3 And David stroke Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
18:4 Und David gewann ihm ab tausend Wagen, siebentausend Reiter und zwanzigtausend Mann zu Fuß. Und David verlähmte alle Rosse der Wagen und behielt hundert Wagen Übrig. {~}
18:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
18:5 Und die Syrer von Damaskus kamen, dem Hadadeser, dem König zu Zoba, zu helfen. Aber David schlug der Syrer zweiundzwanzigtausend Mann
18:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
18:6 und legte Volk in das Syrien von Damaskus, daß die Syrer David untertänig wurden und brachten ihm Geschenke. Denn der HERR half David, wo er hin zog.
18:6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
18:7 Und David nahm die goldenen Schilde, die Hadadesers Knechte gehabt hatten, und brachte sie gen Jerusalem.
18:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
18:8 Auch nahm David aus den Städten Hadadesers, Tibehath und Chun, sehr viel Erz, davon Salomo das eherne Meer und die Säulen und eherne Gefäße machte.
18:8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
18:9 Und da Thou, der König zu Hamath, hörte, daß David alle Macht Hadadesers, des Königs zu Zoba, geschlagen hatte,
18:9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
18:10 sandte er seinen Sohn Hadoram zum König David und ließ ihn grÜßen und segnen, daß er Hadadeser geschlagen hatte (denn Thou hatte einen Streit mit Hadadeser); und er hatte mit sich allerlei goldene, silberne und eherne Gefäße. {~}
18:10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
18:11 Auch diese heiligte der König David dem HERRN mit dem Silber und Gold, das er den Heiden genommen hatte: den Edomitern, Moabitern, Ammonitern, Philistern und Amalekitern.
18:11 Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
18:12 Und Abisai, der Zeruja Sohn, schlug der Edomiter im Salztal achtzehntausend
18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
18:13 und legte Volk in Edom, daß alle Edomiter David untertänig waren. Denn der HERR half David, wo er hin zog.
18:13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
18:14 Also regierte David Über das ganze Israel und handhabte Gericht und Gerechtigkeit allem seinem Volk.
18:14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
18:15 Joab, der Zeruja Sohn, war Über das Heer; Josaphat, der Sohn Ahiluds, war Kanzler;
18:15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.
18:16 Zadok, der Sohn Ahitobs, und Abimelech, der Sohn Abjathars, waren Priester; Sawsa war Schreiber;
18:16 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
18:17 Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, war Über die Krether und Plehter und die Söhne Davids waren die Ersten zur Hand des Königs.
18:17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.

19:1 Und nach diesem starb Nahas, der König der Kinder Ammon, und sein Sohn ward König an seiner Statt.
19:1 Now it came to pass after this, that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon died, and his son reigned in his position.
19:2 Da gedachte David: Ich will Barmherzigkeit tun an Hanon, dem Sohn des Nahas; denn sein Vater hat an mir Barmherzigkeit getan. Und sandte Boten hin, ihn zu trösten Über seinen Vater. Und da die Knechte Davids ins Land der Kinder Ammon kamen zu Hanon, ihn zu trösten,
19:2 And David said, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.
19:3 sprachen die FÜrsten der Kinder Ammon zu Hanon: Meinst du, daß David deinen Vater ehre vor deinen Augen, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Ja, seine Knechte sind gekommen zu dir, zu forschen und umzukehren und zu erkunden das Land. {~}
19:3 But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, Think you that David does honour your father, that he has sent comforters unto you? are not his servants come unto you in order to search, and to overthrow, and to spy out the land?
19:4 Da nahm Hanon die Knechte Davids und schor sie und schnitt ihre Kleider halb ab bis an die Lenden und ließ sie gehen.
19:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away.
19:5 Und etliche gingen hin und sagten es David an von den Männern. Er aber sandte ihnen entgegen; denn die Männer waren sehr geschändet. Und der König sprach: Bleibet zu Jericho, bis euer Bart wachse; so kommt dann wieder.
19:5 Then there went certain, and told David how the men were served. And he sent to meet them: for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
19:6 Da aber die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß sie waren stinkend geworden vor David, sandten sie hin, beide Hanon und die Kinder Ammon, tausend Zentner Silber, Wagen und Reiter zu dingen aus Mesopotamien, aus dem Syrien von Maacha und aus Zoba.
19:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves abhorrent to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, and out of Syriamaachah, and out of Zobah.
19:7 Und dingten zweiunddreißigtausend Wagen und den König von Maacha mit seinem Volk; die kamen und lagerten sich vor Medeba. Und die Kinder Ammon sammelten sich aus ihren Städten und kamen zum Streit.
19:7 So they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And the children of Ammon gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle.
19:8 Da das David hörte, sandte er hin Joab mit dem ganzen Heer der Helden.
19:8 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
19:9 Die Kinder Ammon aber waren ausgezogen und rÜsteten sich zum Streit vor der Stadt Tor. Die Könige aber, die gekommen waren, hielten im Felde besonders.
19:9 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array before the gate of the city: and the kings that were come were by themselves in the field.
19:10 Da nun Joab sah, daß vorn und hinter ihm Streit wider ihn war, erwählte er aus aller jungen Mannschaft in Israel und stellte sich gegen die Syrer.
19:10 Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians.
19:11 Das Übrige Volk aber tat er unter die Hand Abisais, seines Bruders, daß sie sich rÜsteten wider die Kinder Ammon,
19:11 And the rest of the people he delivered unto the hand of Abishai his brother, and they set themselves in array against the children of Ammon.
19:12 und sprach: Wenn mir die Syrer zu stark werden, so komm mir zu Hilfe; wo dir aber die Kinder Ammon zu stark werden, will ich dir helfen.
19:12 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you shall help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will help you.
19:13 Sei getrost und laß uns getrost handeln fÜr unser Volk und fÜr die Städte unseres Gottes; der HERR tue, was ihm gefällt.
19:13 Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.
19:14 Und Joab machte sich herzu mit dem Volk, das bei ihm war, gegen die Syrer zu streiten; und sie flohen vor ihm.
19:14 So Joab and the people that were with him drew nigh before the Syrians unto the battle; and they fled before him.
19:15 Da aber die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß die Syrer flohen, flohen sie auch vor Abisai, seinem Bruder, und zogen in die Stadt. Joab aber kam gen Jerusalem.
19:15 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before Abishai his brother, and entered into the city. Then Joab came to Jerusalem.
19:16 Da aber die Syrer sahen, daß sie vor Israel geschlagen waren, sandten sie Boten hin und brachten heraus die Syrer jenseit des Stroms; und Sophach, der Feldhauptmann Hadadesers, zog vor ihnen her.
19:16 And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they sent messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river: and Shophach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
19:17 Da das David angesagt ward, sammelte er zuhauf das ganze Israel und zog Über den Jordan; und da er an sie kam, rÜstete er sich wider sie. Und David rÜstete sich gegen die Syrer zum Streit, und sie stritten mit ihm.
19:17 And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So when David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.
19:18 Aber die Syrer flohen vor Israel. Und David verderbte der Syrer siebentausend Wagen und vierzigtausend Mann zu Fuß; dazu tötete er Sophach, den Feldhauptmann.
19:18 But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
19:19 Und da die Knechte Hadadesers sahen, daß sie vor Israel geschlagen waren, machten sie Frieden mit David und wurden seine Knechte. Und die Syrer wollten den Kindern Ammon nicht mehr helfen.
19:19 And when the servants of Hadarezer saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they made peace with David, and became his servants: neither would the Syrians help the children of Ammon any more.

20:1 Und da das Jahr um war, zur Zeit, wann die Könige ausziehen, fÜhrte Joab die Heermacht und verderbte der Kinder Ammon Land, kam und belagerte Rabba; David aber blieb zu Jerusalem. Und Joab schlug Rabba und zerbrach es.
20:1 And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab stroke Rabbah, and destroyed it.
20:2 Und David nahm die Krone seines Königs von seinem Haupt und fand daran einen Zentner Gold und Edelsteine; und sie ward David auf sein Haupt gesetzt. Auch fÜhrte er aus der Stadt sehr viel Raub.
20:2 And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
20:3 Aber das Volk drinnen fÜhrte er heraus und zerteilte sie mit Sägen und eisernen Dreschwagen und Keilen. Also tat David in allen Städten der Kinder Ammon. Und David zog samt dem Volk wider nach Jerusalem.
20:3 And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
20:4 Darnach erhob sich ein Streit zu Geser mit den Philistern. Dazumal schlug Sibbechai, der Husathiter, den Sippai, der aus den Kindern der Riesen war, und sie wurden gedemÜtigt.
20:4 And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
20:5 Und es erhob sich noch ein Streit mit den Philistern. Da schlug Elhanan, der Sohn Jairs, den Lahemi, den Bruder Goliaths, den Gathiter, welcher hatte eine Spießstange wie ein Weberbaum.
20:5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.
20:6 Abermals ward ein Streit zu Gath. Da war ein großer Mann, der hatte je sechs Finger und sechs Zehen, die machen zusammen vierundzwanzig; und er war auch von den Riesen geboren
20:6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot and he also was the son of the giant.
20:7 und höhnte Israel. Aber Jonathan, der Sohn Simeas, des Bruders Davids, schlug ihn.
20:7 But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him.
20:8 Diese waren geboren von den Riesen zu Gath und fielen durch die Hand Davids und seiner Knechte.
20:8 These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

21:1 Und der Satan stand wider Israel und reizte David, daß er Israel zählen ließe.
21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
21:2 Und David sprach zu Joab und zu des Volkes Obersten: Gehet hin, zählt Israel von Beer-Seba an bis gen Dan und bringt es zu mir, daß ich wisse, wieviel ihrer sind.
21:2 And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.
21:3 Joab sprach: Der HERR tue zu seinem Volk, wie sie jetzt sind, hundertmal soviel; aber, mein Herr König, sind sie nicht alle meines Herrn Knechte? Warum fragt denn mein Herr darnach? Warum soll eine Schuld auf Israel kommen?
21:3 And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then does my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
21:4 Aber des Königs Wort stand fest wider Joab. Und Joab zog aus und wandelte durch das ganze Israel und kam gen Jerusalem
21:4 Nevertheless the king's word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.
21:5 und gab die Zahl des gezählten Volks David. Und es waren des ganzen Israels elfhundertmal tausend Mann, die das Schwert auszogen, und Juda's vierhundertmal und siebzigtausend Mann, die das Schwert auszogen.
21:5 And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.
21:6 Levi aber und Benjamin zählte er nicht unter ihnen; denn es war dem Joab des Königs Wort ein Greuel.
21:6 But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab.
21:7 Aber solches gefiel Gott Übel, und er schlug Israel.
21:7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he stroke Israel.
21:8 Und David sprach zu Gott: Ich habe schwer gesÜndigt, daß ich das getan habe. Nun aber nimm weg die Missetat deines Knechtes; denn ich habe sehr töricht getan.
21:8 And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I plead to you, do away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.
21:9 Und der HERR redete mit Gad, dem Seher Davids, und sprach:
21:9 And the LORD spoke unto Gad, David's seer, saying,
21:10 Gehe hin, rede mit David und sprich: So spricht der HERR: Dreierlei lege ich dir vor; erwähle dir eins, daß ich es dir tue.
21:10 Go and tell David, saying, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things: choose you one of them, that I may do it unto you.
21:11 Und da Gad zu David kam, sprach er zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Erwähle dir
21:11 So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Choose you
21:12 entweder drei Jahre Teuerung, oder drei Monate Flucht vor deinen Widersachern und vor dem Schwert deiner Feinde, daß dich's ergreife, oder drei Tage das Schwert des HERRN und Pestilenz im Lande, daß der Engel des HERRN verderbe in allen Grenzen Israels. So siehe nun zu, was ich antworten soll dem, der mich gesandt hat.
21:12 Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before your foes, while that the sword of yours enemies overtakes you; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise yourself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
21:13 David sprach zu Gad: Mir ist sehr angst; doch ich will in die Hand des HERRN fallen, denn seine Barmherzigkeit ist sehr groß, und will nicht in Menschenhände fallen.
21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
21:14 Da ließ der HERR Pestilenz in Israel kommen, daß siebzigtausend Mann fielen aus Israel.
21:14 So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.
21:15 Und Gott sandte den Engel gen Jerusalem, sie zu verderben. Und im Verderben sah der HERR darein und reute ihn das Übel, und er sprach zum Engel, dem Verderber: Es ist genug; laß deine Hand ab! Der Engel aber des HERRN stand bei der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters.
21:15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now yours hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
21:16 Und David hob seine Augen auf und sah den Engel des HERRN stehen zwischen Himmel und Erde und sein bloßes Schwert in seiner Hand ausgereckt Über Jerusalem. Da fielen David und die Ältesten, mit Säcken bedeckt, auf ihr Antlitz.
21:16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
21:17 Und David sprach zu Gott: Bin ich's nicht, der das Volk zählen hieß? ich bin, der gesÜndigt und das Übel getan hat; diese Schafe aber, was haben sie getan? HERR, mein Gott, laß deine Hand wider mich und meines Vaters Haus, und nicht wider dein Volk sein, es zu plagen!
21:17 And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let yours hand, I pray you, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on your people, that they should be plagued.
21:18 Und der Engel des HERRN sprach zu Gad, daß er David sollte sagen, daß David hinaufgehen und dem HERRN einen Altar aufrichten sollte in der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters.
21:18 Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
21:19 Also ging David hinauf nach dem Wort Gads, das er geredet hatte in des HERRN Namen.
21:19 And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spoke in the name of the LORD.
21:20 Ornan aber, da er sich wandte und sah den Engel, und seine vier Söhne mit ihm, versteckten sie sich; denn Ornan drosch Weizen.
21:20 And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.
21:21 Als nun David zu Ornan ging, sah Ornan und ward Davids gewahr und ging heraus aus der Tenne und fiel vor David nieder mit seinem Antlitz zur Erde.
21:21 And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing floor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.
21:22 Und David sprach zu Ornan: Gib mir den Platz der Tenne, daß ich einen Altar dem HERRN darauf baue; um volles Geld sollst du ihn mir geben, auf daß die Plage unter dem Volk aufhöre.
21:22 Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: you shall grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.
21:23 Ornan aber sprach zu David: Nimm dir und mache, mein Herr König, wie dir's gefällt: siehe, ich gebe das Rind zum Brandopfer und das Geschirr zu Holz und Weizen zum Speisopfer; das alles gebe ich.
21:23 And Ornan said unto David, Take it to you, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give you the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the food offering; I give it all.
21:24 Aber der König David sprach zu Ornan: Nicht also, sondern um volles Geld will ich's kaufen; denn ich will nicht, was dein ist, nehmen fÜr den HERRN und will's nicht umsonst haben zum Brandopfer.
21:24 And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is yours for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
21:25 Also gab David Ornan um den Platz Gold, am Gewicht sechshundert Lot.
21:25 So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
21:26 Und David baute daselbst dem HERRN einen Altar und opferte Brandopfer und Dankopfer. Und da er den HERRN anrief, erhörte er ihn durch das Feuer vom Himmel auf den Altar des Brandopfers.
21:26 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
21:27 Und der HERR sprach zum Engel, daß er sein Schwert in sein Scheide kehrte.
21:27 And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.
21:28 Zur selben Zeit, da David sah, daß ihn der HERR erhört hatte auf der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters, pflegte er daselbst zu opfern.
21:28 At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.
21:29 Denn die Wohnung des HERRN, die Mose in der WÜste gemacht hatte, und der Brandopferaltar war zu der Zeit auf der Höhe zu Gibeon.
21:29 For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.
21:30 David aber konnte nicht hingehen vor denselben, Gott zu suchen, so war er erschrocken vor dem Schwert des Engels des HERRN.
21:30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.

22:1 Und David sprach: Hier soll das Haus Gottes des HERRN sein und dies ist der Altar zum Brandopfer Israels.
22:1 Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
22:2 Und David ließ versammeln die Fremdlinge, die im Lande Israel waren, und bestellte Steinmetzen, Steine zu hauen, das Haus Gottes zu bauen.
22:2 And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set stone workers to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
22:3 Und David bereitet viel Eisen zu Nägeln an die TÜren in den Toren und zu Klammern und so viel Erz, daß es nicht zu wägen war,
22:3 And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;
22:4 Auch Zedernholz ohne Zahl; denn die von Sidon und Tyrus brachten viel Zedernholz zu David.
22:4 Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
22:5 Denn David gedachte: Mein Sohn Salomo ist jung und zart; das Haus aber, das dem HERRN soll gebaut werden, soll groß sein, daß sein Name und Ruhm erhoben werde in allen Landen; darum will ich Vorrat schaffen. Also schaffte David viel Vorrat vor seinem Tode.
22:5 And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
22:6 Und er rief seinem Sohn Salomo und gebot ihm, zu bauen das Haus des HERRN, des Gottes Israels,
22:6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel.
22:7 und sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn, ich hatte es im Sinn, dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, ein Haus zu bauen.
22:7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:
22:8 Aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu mir und sprach: Du hast viel Blut vergossen und große Kriege gefÜhrt; darum sollst du meinem Namen nicht ein Haus bauen, weil du so viel Blutes auf die Erde vergossen hast vor mir.
22:8 But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars: you shall not build an house unto my name, because you have shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
22:9 Siehe, der Sohn, der dir geboren soll werden, der wird ein Mann der Ruhe sein; denn ich will ihn ruhen lassen von all seinen Feinden umher; denn er soll Salomo heißen; denn ich will Frieden und Ruhe geben Über Israel sein Leben lang.
22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
22:10 Der soll meinem Namen ein Haus bauen. Er soll mein Sohn sein, und ich will sein Vater sein. Und ich will seinen königlichen Stuhl Über Israel bestätigen ewiglich.
22:10 He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
22:11 So wird nun, mein Sohn, der HERR mit dir sein und es wird dir gelingen, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Haus bauest, wie er von dir geredet hat.
22:11 Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said of you.
22:12 Auch wird der HERR dir geben Klugheit und Verstand und wird dir Israel befehlen, daß du haltest das Gesetz des HERRN, deines Gottes.
22:12 Only the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.
22:13 Dann aber wirst du GlÜck haben, wenn du dich hältst, daß du tust nach den Geboten und Rechten, die der HERR dem Mose geboten hat an Israel. Sei getrost und unverzagt, fÜrchte dich nicht und zage nicht!
22:13 Then shall you prosper, if you take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
22:14 Siehe ich habe in meiner MÜhsal geschafft zum Hause des HERRN hunderttausend Zentner Gold und tausendmal tausend Zentner Silber, dazu Erz und Eisen ohne Zahl; denn es ist zu viel. Auch Holz und Steine habe ich zugerichtet; des magst du noch mehr machen.
22:14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and you may add thereto.
22:15 So hast du viel Arbeiter, Steinmetzen und Zimmerleute an Stein und Holz, und allerlei Meister in allerlei Arbeit,
22:15 Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
22:16 an Gold, Silber, Erz und Eisen ohne Zahl. So mache dich auf und richte es aus; der HERR wird mit dir sein!
22:16 Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with you.
22:17 Und David gebot allen Obersten Israels, daß sie seinem Sohn Salomo hÜlfen.
22:17 David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
22:18 "Ist nicht der HERR, euer Gott, mit euch und hat euch Ruhe gegeben umher? Denn er hat die Einwohner des Landes in meine Hand gegeben, und das Land ist unterworfen dem HERRN und seinem Volk.
22:18 Is not the LORD your God with you? and has he not given you rest on every side? for he has given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
22:19 So richtet nun euer Herz und eure Seele, den HERRN, euren Gott, zu suchen. Und macht euch auf und bauet Gott dem HERRN ein Heiligtum, daß man die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und die heiligen Gefäße Gottes in das Haus bringe, das dem Namen des HERRN gebaut soll werden."
22:19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build all of you the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.

23:1 Also machte David seinen Sohn Salomo zum König Über Israel, da er alt und des Lebens satt war.
23:1 So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
23:2 Und David versammelte alle Obersten in Israel und die Priester und Leviten.
23:2 And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
23:3 Und man zählte die Leviten von dreißig Jahren und darÜber; und ihre Zahl war von Haupt zu Haupt, was Männer waren, achtunddreißigtausend.
23:3 Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
23:4 "Aus diesen sollen vierundzwanzigtausend dem Werk am Hause des HERRN vorstehen und sechstausend Amtleute und Richter sein
23:4 Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:
23:5 und viertausend TorhÜter und viertausend Lobsänger des HERRN mit Saitenspielen, die ich gemacht habe, Lob zu singen."
23:5 Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.
23:6 Und David machte Ordnungen unter den Kindern Levi, nämlich unter Gerson, Kahath und Merari.
23:6 And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
23:7 Die Gersoniter waren: Laedan und Simei.
23:7 Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei.
23:8 Die Kinder Laedans: der erste, Jehiel, Setham und Joel, die drei.
23:8 The sons of Laadan; the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
23:9 Die Kinder Simeis waren: Salomith, Hasiel und Haran, die drei. Diese waren die Häupter der Vaterhäuser von Laedan.
23:9 The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief of the fathers of Laadan.
23:10 Und diese waren Simeis Kinder: Jahath, Sina, Jeus und Beria. Diese vier waren Simeis Kinder.
23:10 And the sons of Shimei were, Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
23:11 Jahath aber war der erste, Sina der andere. Aber Jeus und Beria hatten nicht Kinder; darum wurden sie fÜr ein Vaterhaus gerechnet.
23:11 And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to their father's house.
23:12 Die Kinder Kahaths waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiel, die vier.
23:12 The sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
23:13 Die Kinder Amrams waren: Aaron und Mose. Aaron aber ward abgesondert, daß er geheiligt wÜrde zum Hochheiligen, er und seine Söhne ewiglich, zu räuchern vor dem HERRN und zu dienen und zu segnen in dem Namen des HERRN ewiglich.
23:13 The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.
23:14 Und Mose's, des Mannes Gottes, Kinder wurden genannt unter der Leviten Stamm.
23:14 Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.
23:15 Die Kinder aber Mose's waren: Gersom und Elieser.
23:15 The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eliezer.
23:16 Die Kinder Gersoms: der erste war Sebuel.
23:16 Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.
23:17 Die Kinder Eliesers: der erste war Rehabja. Und Elieser hatte keine andern Kinder; aber der Kinder Ehabjas waren Überaus viele.
23:17 And the sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
23:18 Die Kinder Jizhars waren: Salomith, der erste.
23:18 Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief.
23:19 Die Kinder Hebrons waren: Jeria, der erste; Amarja, der zweite; Jahasiel, der dritte; und Jakmeam, der vierte.
23:19 Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
23:20 Die Kinder Usiels waren, Micha, der erste, und Jissia, der andere.
23:20 Of the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first and Jesiah the second.
23:21 Die Kinder Meraris waren: Maheli und Musi. Die Kinder Mahelis waren: Eleasar und Kis.
23:21 The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. The sons of Mahli; Eleazar, and Kish.
23:22 Eleasar aber starb und hatte keine Söhne, sondern Töchter; und die Kinder des Kis, ihre BrÜder, nahmen sie.
23:22 And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and their brethren the sons of Kish took them.
23:23 Die Kinder Musis waren: Maheli, Eder und Jeremoth, die drei.
23:23 The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
23:24 Das sind die Kinder Levi nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nämlich die Häupter der Vaterhäuser, die gerechnet wurden nach der Namen Zahl von Haupt zu Haupt, welche taten das Geschäft des Amts im Hause des HERRN, von zwanzig Jahren und darÜber.
23:24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
23:25 Denn David sprach: Der HERR, der Gott Israels, hat seinem Volk Ruhe gegeben und wird zu Jerusalem wohnen ewiglich.
23:25 For David said, The LORD God of Israel has given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
23:26 So wurden auch die Kinder Levi gezählt von zwanzig Jahren und darÜber, da sie ja die Wohnung nicht mehr zu tragen hatten mit all ihrem Geräte ihres Amts,
23:26 And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.
23:27 sondern nach den letzten Worten Davids, {~}
23:27 For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:
23:28 daß sie stehen sollten unter der Hand der Kinder Aaron, zu dienen im Hause des HERRN in den Vorhöfen und Kammern und zur Reinigung von allerlei Heiligem und zu allem Werk des Amts im Hause Gottes
23:28 Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
23:29 und zum Schaubrot, zum Semmelmehl fÜr das Speisopfer, zu den ungesäuerten Fladen, zur Pfanne, zum Rösten und zu allem Gewicht und Maß
23:29 Both for the showbread, and for the fine flour for food offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
23:30 und zu stehen des Morgens, zu danken und zu loben den HERRN, und des Abends auch also,
23:30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even:
23:31 und alle Brandopfer dem HERRN zu opfern auf die Sabbate, Neumonde und Feste, nach der Zahl und GebÜhr allewege vor dem HERRN,
23:31 And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
23:32 daß sie des Dienstes an der HÜtte des Stifts warteten und des Heiligtums und der Kinder Aaron, ihrer BrÜder, zu dienen im Hause des HERRN.
23:32 And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.

24:1 Aber dies waren die Ordnungen der Kinder Aaron. Die Kinder Aarons waren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.
24:1 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
24:2 Aber Nadab und Abihu starben vor ihrem Vater und hatten keine Kinder. Und Eleasar und Ithamar wurden Priester.
24:2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
24:3 Und es ordneten sie David und Zadok aus den Kinder Eleasars und Ahimelech aus den Kindern Ithamars nach ihrer Zahl und ihrem Amt.
24:3 And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
24:4 Und wurden der Kinder Eleasars mehr gefunden an Häuptern der Männer denn der Kinder Ithamars. Und er ordnete sie also: sechzehn aus den Kindern Eleasars zu Obersten ihrer Vaterhäuser und acht aus den Kindern Ithamars nach ihren Vaterhäusern.
24:4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
24:5 Er ordnete sie aber durchs Los, darum daß beide aus Eleasars und Ithamars Kindern Oberste waren im Heiligtum und Oberste vor Gott.
24:5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
24:6 Und der Schreiber Semaja, der Sohn Nathanaels, aus den Leviten, schrieb sie auf vor dem König und vor den Obersten und vor Zadok, dem Priester,und vor Ahimelech, dem Sohn Abjathars, und vor den Obersten der Vaterhäuser unter den Priestern und Leviten, nämlich je ein Vaterhaus fÜr Eleasar und das andere fÜr Ithamar.
24:6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

24:19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

24:20 And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.

24:30 The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
24:31 Und man warf fÜr sie auch das Los neben ihren BrÜdern, den Kindern Aaron, vor dem König David und Zadok und Ahimelech und vor den Obersten der Vaterhäuser unter den Priestern und Leviten, fÜr den jÜngsten Bruder ebensowohl als fÜr den Obersten in den Vaterhäusern.
24:31 These likewise cast lots opposite to their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers opposite to their younger brethren.

25:1 Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
25:2 Unter den Kindern Asaphs waren: Sakkur, Joseph, Nethanja, Asarela, Kinder Asaph, unter Asaph der da weissagte bei dem König.
25:2 Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
25:3 Von Jedithun: die Kinder Jedithuns waren: Gedalja, Sori, Jesaja, Hasabja, Matthithja, Simei, die sechs, unter ihrem Vater Jedithun, mit Harfen, der da weissagte, zu danken und zu loben den HERRN.
25:3 Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
25:4 Von Heman: die Kinder Hemans waren: Bukkia, Matthanja, Usiel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananja, Hanani, Eliatha, Giddalthi, Romamthi-Eser, Josbekasa, Mallothi, Hothir und Mahesioth.
25:4 Of Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
25:5 Diese waren alle Kinder Hemans, des Sehers des Königs in den Worten Gottes, das Horn zu erheben; denn Gott hatte Heman vierzehn Söhne und drei Töchter gegeben.
25:5 All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
25:6 Diese waren alle unter ihren Vätern Asaph, Jedithun und Heman, zu singen im Hause des HERRN mit Zimbeln, Psaltern und Harfen, nach dem Amt im Hause Gottes bei dem König.
25:6 All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
25:7 Und es war ihre Zahl samt ihren BrÜdern, die im Gesang des HERRN gelehrt waren, allesamt Meister, zweihundertachtundachtzig.
25:7 So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
25:8 Und sie warfen das Los Über ihre Ämter zugleich, dem JÜngeren wie dem Älteren, dem Lehrer wie dem SchÜler.
25:8 And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

26:8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.
26:9 Meselemja hatte Kinder und BrÜder, tÜchtige Männer, achtzehn.
26:9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

26:13 Und das Los ward geworfen, dem JÜngeren wie dem Älteren, unter ihren Vaterhäusern zu einem jeglichen Tor.
26:13 And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.
26:14 Das Los gegen Morgen fiel auf Meselemja; aber sein Sohn war Sacharja, der ein kluger Rat war, warf man auch das Los, und es fiel ihm gegen Mitternacht,
26:14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
26:15 Obed-Edom aber gegen Mittag und seinen Söhnen bei dem Vorratshause,
26:15 To Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

26:21 As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.

26:24 And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.
26:25 Aber sein Bruder Elieser hatte einen Sohn, Rehabja; des Sohn war Jesaja; des Sohn war Joram; des Sohn war Sichri; des Sohn war Selomith.
26:25 And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26:26 Derselbe Selomith und seine BrÜder waren Über alle Schätze des Geheiligten, welches geheiligt hatte der König David und die Häupter der Vaterhäuser, die Obersten Über tausend und Über hundert und die Obersten im Heer.
26:26 Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

26:27 Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.
26:28 Auch alles, was Samuel, der Seher, und Saul, der Sohn des Kis, und Abner, der Sohn des Ners, und Joab, der Zeruja Sohn, geheiligt hatten, alles Geheiligte war unter der Hand Selomiths und seiner BrÜder.
26:28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
26:29 Unter den Jizhariten waren Chenanja und seine Söhne zum Werk draußen Über Israel Amtleute und Richter.
26:29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
26:30 Unter den Hebroniten aber waren Hasabja und seine BrÜder, tÜchtige Leute, tausend und siebenhundert, Über die Ämter Israels diesseits des Jordans gegen Abend, zu allerlei Geschäft des HERRN und zu dienen dem König.
26:30 And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.
26:31 Unter den Hebroniten war Jeria, der Vornehmste unter den Hebroniten seines Geschlechts unter den Vaterhäusern (es wurden aber unter ihnen gesucht und gefunden im vierzigsten Jahr des Königreiches Davids tÜchtige Männer zu Jaser in Gilead),
26:31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
26:32 und seine BrÜder, tÜchtige Männer, zweitausend und siebenhundert Oberste der Vaterhäuser. Und David setzte sie Über die Rubeniter, Gaditer und den halben Stamm Manasse zu allen Händeln Gottes und des Königs.

27:1 Dies sind aber die Kinder Israel nach ihrer Zahl, die Häupter der Vaterhäuser und die Obersten Über tausend und Über hundert, und ihre Amtleute, die dem König dienten, nach ihren Ordnungen, die ab und zu zogen, einen jeglichen Monat eine, in allen Monaten des Jahres. Eine jegliche Ordnung aber hatte vierundzwanzigtausend.
27:1 Now the children of Israel after their number, to know, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
27:2 ber die erste Ordnung des ersten Monats war Jasobeam, der Sohn Sabdiels; und unter seiner Ordnung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.
27:2 Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

27:3 Of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

27:5 Der dritte Feldhauptmann des dritten Monats, der Oberste, war Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, des Priesters: und unter seiner Ordnung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.
27:5 The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
27:6 Das ist Benaja, der Held unter den dreißigen und Über die dreißig; und seine Ordnung war unter seinem Sohn Ammisabad.
27:6 This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.
27:7 Der vierte im vierten Monat war Asahel, Joabs Bruder, und nach ihm Sebadja, sein Sohn; und unter seiner Ordnung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.
27:7 The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
27:8 Der fÜnfte im fÜnften Monat war Samehuth, der Jishariter; und unter seine Ordnung waren vierundzwanzigtausend. {~}
27:8 The fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
27:9 Der sechste im sechsten Monat war Ira, der Sohn des Ikkes, der Thekoiter; und unter seiner Ordnung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.
27:9 The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

27:22 unter Dan war Asareel, der Sohn Jerohams. Das sind die FÜrsten der Stämme Israels.
27:22 Of Dan, Azareel the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.
27:23 Aber David nahm nicht die Zahl derer, die von zwanzig Jahren und darunter waren; denn der HERR hatte verheißen, Israel zu mehren wie die Sterne am Himmel.
27:23 But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.
27:24 Joab aber, der Zeruja Sohn, der hatte angefangen zu zählen, und vollendete es nicht; denn es kam darum ein Zorn Über Israel. Darum kam die Zahl nicht in die Chronik des Königs David. {~}
27:24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
27:25 ber den Schatz des Königs war Asmaveth, der Sohn Abdiels; und Über die Schätze auf dem Lande in Städten, Dörfern und TÜrmen war Jonathan, der Sohn Usias.
27:25 And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of Uzziah:
27:26 ber die Ackerleute, das Land zu bauen, war Esri, der Sohn Chelubs.
27:26 And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:
27:27 ber die Weinberge war Simei, der Ramathiter; Über die Weinkeller und Schätze des Weins war Sabdi, der Sephamiter.
27:27 And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
27:28 ber die Ölgärten und Maulbeerbäume in den Auen war Baal-Hanan, der Gaderiter. Über den Ölschatz war Joas.
27:28 And over the olive trees and the sycomore trees that were in the low plains was Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:
27:29 ber die Weiderinder zu Saron war Sitrai, der Saroniter; aber Über die Rinder in den GrÜnden war Saphat, der Sohn Adlais.
27:29 And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:
27:30 ber die Kamele war Obil, der Ismaeliter. Über die Esel war Jehdeja, der Meronothiter.
27:30 Over the camels also was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:
27:31 ber die Schafe war Jasis, der Hagariter. Diese waren alle Oberste Über die GÜter des Königs David.
27:31 And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.
27:32 Jonathan aber, Davids Vetter, war Rat, ein verständiger und gelehrter Mann. Und Jehiel, der Sohn Hachmonis, war bei den Söhnen des Königs.
27:32 Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons:
27:33 Ahithophel war auch Rat des Königs. Husai, der Arachiter, war des Königs Freund.
27:33 And Ahithophel was the king's counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's companion:
27:34 Nach Ahithophel war Jojada, der Sohn Benajas, und Abjathar. Joab aber war der Feldhauptmann des Königs.
27:34 And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king's army was Joab.

28:1 Und David versammelte gen Jerusalem alle Obersten Israels, nämlich die FÜrsten der Stämme, die FÜrsten der Ordnungen, die dem König dienten, die FÜrsten Über tausend und Über hundert, die FÜrsten Über die GÜter und das Vieh des Königs und seiner Söhne mit den Kämmerern, die Kriegsmänner und alle ansehnlichen Männer.
28:1 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
28:2 Und David, der König, stand auf und sprach: Höret mir zu, meine BrÜder und mein Volk! Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, ein Haus zu bauen, da ruhen sollte die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und der Schemel seiner FÜße unsres Gottes, und hatte mich geschickt, zu bauen.
28:2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
28:3 Aber Gott ließ mir sagen: Du sollst meinem Namen kein Haus bauen; denn du bist ein Kriegsmann und hast Blut vergossen.
28:3 But God said unto me, You shall not build an house for my name, because you have been a man of war, and have shed blood.
28:4 Nun hat der HERR, der Gott Israel, mich erwählt aus meines Vaters ganzem Hause, daß ich König Über Israel sein sollte ewiglich. Denn er hat Juda erwählt zum FÜrstentum, und im Hause Juda meines Vaters Haus, und unter meines Vaters Kindern hat er Gefallen gehabt an mir, daß er mich Über ganz Israel zum König machte.
28:4 Nevertheless the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he has chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
28:5 Und unter allen seinen Söhnen (denn der HERR hat mir viele Söhne gegeben) hat er meinen Sohn Salomo erwählt, daß er sitzen soll auf dem Stuhl des Königreichs des Herrn Über Israel,
28:5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
28:6 und hat zu mir geredet: Dein Sohn Salomo soll mein Haus und meine Vorhöfe bauen; denn ich habe ihn erwählt zum Sohn, und ich will sein Vater sein
28:6 And he said unto me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
28:7 und will sein Königreich bestätigen ewiglich, so er wird anhalten, daß er tue nach meinen Geboten und Rechten, wie es heute steht.
28:7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
28:8 Nun vor dem ganzen Israel, der Gemeinde des HERRN, und vor den Ohren unseres Gottes: So haltet und sucht alle die Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, auf daß ihr besitzet das gute Land und es vererbt auf eure Kinder nach euch ewiglich.
28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that all of you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
28:9 Und du, mein Sohn Salomo, erkenne den Gott deines Vaters und diene ihm mit ganzem Herzen und mit williger Seele. Denn der HERR sucht alle Herzen und versteht aller Gedanken Dichten. Wirst du ihn suchen, so wirst du ihn finden; wirst du ihn aber verlassen, so wird er dich verwerfen ewiglich.
28:9 And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever.
28:10 So siehe nun zu; denn der HERR hat dich erwählt, daß du sein Haus baust zum Heiligtum. Sei getrost und mache es!
28:10 Take heed now; for the LORD has chosen you to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
28:11 Und David gab seinem Sohn Salomo ein Vorbild der Halle des Tempels und seiner Häuser und der Gemächer und Söller und Kammern inwendig und des Hauses Gnadenstuhls,
28:11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,
28:12 dazu Vorbilder alles dessen, was bei ihm in seinem GemÜt war, nämlich die Vorhöfe am Hause des HERRN und aller Gemächer umher fÜr die Schätze im Hause Gottes und fÜr die Schätze des Geheiligten,
28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
28:13 und der Ordnungen der Priester und Leviten, und aller Geschäfte und Geräte der Ämter im Hause des HERRN, {~} {~} {~}
28:13 Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.
28:14 und des goldenen Zeuges nach dem Goldgewicht zu allerlei Geräte eines jeglichen Amts, und alles silbernen Zeuges nach dem Gewicht zu allerlei Geräte eines jeglichen Amts,
28:14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:
28:15 und das Gewicht fÜr den goldenen Leuchter und die goldenen Lampen, fÜr jeglichen Leuchter und seine Lampen sein Gewicht, also auch fÜr die silbernen Leuchter, fÜr den Leuchter und seine Lampen, nach dem Amt eines jeglichen Leuchters;
28:15 Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
28:16 auch gab er das Gewicht des Goldes fÜr die Tische der Schaubrote, fÜr jeglichen Tisch sein Gewicht, also auch des Silbers fÜr die silbernen Tische,
28:16 And by weight he gave gold for the tables of showbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
28:17 und fÜr die Gabeln, Becken und Kannen von lauterem Golde und fÜr die goldenen Becher, fÜr jeglichen Becher sein Gewicht, und fÜr die silbernen Becher, fÜr jeglichen Becher sein Gewicht,
28:17 Also pure gold for the forks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every basin; and likewise silver by weight for every basin of silver:
28:18 und fÜr den Räucheraltar vom allerlautersten Golde sein Gewicht, auch ein Vorbild des Wagens, nämlich der goldenen Cherubim, daß sie sich ausbreiteten und bedeckten oben die Lade des Bundes des HERRN.
28:18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
28:19 "Das alles ist mir beschrieben gegeben von der Hand des HERRN, daß es mich unterwiese Über alle Werke des Vorbildes."
28:19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
28:20 Und David sprach zu seinem Sohn Salomo: Sei getrost und unverzagt und mache es; fÜrchte dich nicht und zage nicht! Gott der HERR, mein Gott, wird mit dir sein und wird die Hand nicht abziehen noch dich verlassen, bis du alle Werke zum Amt im Hause des HERRN vollendest.
28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
28:21 Siehe da, die Ordnungen der Priester und Leviten zu allen Ämtern im Hause Gottes sind mit dir zu allem Geschäft und sind willig und weise zu allen Ämtern, dazu die FÜrsten und alles Volk zu allen deinen Händeln.
28:21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with you for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with you for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at your commandment.

29:1 Und der König David sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde: Gott hat Salomo, meiner Söhne einen, erwählt, der noch jung und zart ist; das Werk aber ist groß; denn es ist nicht eines Menschen Wohnung, sondern Gottes des HERRN.
29:1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
29:2 Ich aber habe aus allen meinen Kräften zugerichtet zum Hause Gottes Gold zu goldenem, Silber zu silbernem, Erz zu erhernem, Eisen zu eisernem, Holz zu hölzernem Geräte, Onyxsteine und eingefaßte Steine, Rubine und bunte Steine und allerlei Edelsteine und Marmelsteine die Menge.
29:2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, flashing stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
29:3 berdas, aus Wohlgefallen am Hause meines Gottes, habe ich eigenes Gutes, Gold und Silber, {~} {~}
29:3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.
29:4 dreitausend Zentner Gold von Ophir und siebentausend Zentner lauteres Silber, das gebe ich zum heiligen Hause Gottes außer allem, was ich zugerichtet habe, die Wände der Häuser zu Überziehen,
29:4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses likewise:
29:5 daß golden werde, was golden, silbern, was silbern sein soll, und zu allerlei Werk durch die Hand der Werkmeister. Und wer ist nun willig, seine Hand heute dem HERRN zu fÜllen?
29:5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?
29:6 Da waren die FÜrsten der Vaterhäuser, die FÜrsten der Stämme Israels, die FÜrsten Über tausend und Über hundert und die FÜrsten Über des Königs Geschäfte willig
29:6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,
29:7 und gaben zum Amt im Hause Gottes fÜnftausend Zentner Gold und zehntausend Goldgulden und zehntausend Zentner Silber, achtzehntausend Zentner Erz und hundertausend Zentner Eisen.
29:7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
29:8 Und bei welchem Steine gefunden wurden, die gaben sie zum Schatz des Hauses des HERRN unter die Hand Jehiels, des Gersoniten.
29:8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
29:9 Und das Volk ward fröhlich, daß sie willig waren; denn sie gaben's von ganzem Herzen dem HERRN freiwillig. Und David, der König, freute sich auch hoch
29:9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
29:10 und lobte den HERRN und sprach vor der ganzen Gemeinde: Gelobt seist du, HERR, Gott Israels, unsers Vaters, ewiglich.
29:10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be you, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
29:11 Dir, HERR, gebÜhrt die Majestät und Gewalt, Herrlichkeit, Sieg und Dank. Denn alles, was im Himmel und auf Erden ist. das ist dein. Dein, HERR, ist das Reich, und du bist erhöht Über alles zum Obersten.
29:11 Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
29:12 Reichtum und Ehre ist vor dir; Du herrschest Über alles; in deiner Hand steht Kraft und Macht; in deiner Hand steht es, jedermann groß und stark zu machen.
29:12 Both riches and honour come of you, and you reign over all; and in yours hand is power and might; and in yours hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
29:13 Nun, unser Gott, wir danken dir und rÜhmen den Namen deiner Herrlichkeit.
29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.
29:14 Denn was bin ich? Was ist mein Volk, daß wir sollten vermögen, freiwillig so viel zu geben? Denn von dir ist alles gekommen, und von deiner Hand haben wir dir's gegeben.
29:14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of yours own have we given you.
29:15 Denn wir sind Fremdlinge und Gäste vor dir wie unsre Väter alle. unser Leben auf Erden ist wie ein Schatten, und ist kein Aufhalten.
29:15 For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
29:16 HERR, unser Gott, aller dieser Haufe, den wir zugerichtet haben, dir ein Haus zu bauen, deinem heiligen Namen, ist von deiner Hand gekommen, und ist alles dein.
29:16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you an house for yours holy name comes of yours hand, and is all yours own.
29:17 Ich weiß, mein Gott, daß du das Herz prÜfst, und Aufrichtigkeit ist dir angenehm. Darum habe ich dies alles aus aufrichtigem Herzen freiwillig gegeben und habe jetzt mit Freuden gesehen dein Volk, das hier vorhanden ist, daß es dir freiwillig gegeben hat.
29:17 I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy your people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto you.
29:18 HERR, Gott unsrer Väter, Abrahams, Isaaks und Israels, bewahre ewiglich solchen Sinn und Gedanken im Herzen deines Volkes und richte ihre Herzen zu dir.
29:18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart unto you:
29:19 Und meinem Sohn Salomo gib ein rechtschaffenes Herz, daß er halte deine Gebote, Zeugnisse und Rechte, daß er alles tue und baue diese Wohnung, die ich zugerichtet habe.
29:19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
29:20 Und David sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde: Lobet den HERRN, euren Gott! Und die ganze Gemeinde lobte den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter; und sie neigten sich und fielen nieder vor dem HERRN und vor dem König
29:20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
29:21 und opferten dem HERRN Opfer. Und des Morgens opferten sie Brandopfer: tausend Farren, tausend Widder, tausend Lämmer mit ihren Trankopfern, und opferten die Menge unter dem ganzen Israel
29:21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the next day after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
29:22 und aßen und tranken desselben Tages vor dem HERRN mit großen Freuden und machten zum zweitenmal Salomo, den Sohn Davids, zum König und salbten ihn dem HERRN zum FÜrsten und Zadok zum Priester.
29:22 And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
29:23 Also saß Salomo auf dem Stuhl des Herrn als ein König an seines Vaters Davids Statt und ward glÜcklich; und ganz Israel ward ihm gehorsam.
29:23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
29:24 Und alle Obersten und Gewaltigen, auch alle Kinder des Königs David taten sich unter den König Salomo.
29:24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
29:25 Und der HERR machte Salomo immer größer vor dem Volk Israel und gab ihm ein prächtiges Königreich, wie keiner vor ihm Über Israel gehabt hatte.
29:25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
29:26 So ist nun David, der Sohn Isais. König gewesen Über ganz Israel.
29:26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
29:27 Die Zeit aber, die er König Über Israel gewesen ist, ist vierzig Jahre: zu Hebron regierte er sieben Jahre und zu Jerusalem dreiunddreißig Jahre.
29:27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
29:28 Und er starb im guten Alter, gesättigt mit Leben, Reichtum und Ehre. Und sein Sohn Salomo ward König an seiner Statt.
29:28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his position.

29:29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
29:30 mit allem seinem Königreich und seiner Gewalt und den Zeiten, die ergangen sind Über ihn und Über Israel und alle Königreiche in den Landen.
29:30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
