11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
1 Ada seorang yang sedang sakit, namanya Lazarus. Ia tinggal di Betania, kampung Maria dan adiknya Marta.
11:2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
2 Maria ialah perempuan yang pernah meminyaki kaki Tuhan dengan minyak mur dan menyekanya dengan rambutnya.
11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.
3 Dan Lazarus yang sakit itu adalah saudaranya. Kedua perempuan itu mengirim kabar kepada Yesus: "Tuhan, dia yang Engkau kasihi, sakit."
11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
4 Ketika Yesus mendengar kabar itu, Ia berkata: "Penyakit itu tidak akan membawa kematian, tetapi akan menyatakan kemuliaan Allah, sebab oleh penyakit itu Anak Allah akan dimuliakan."
11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
5 Yesus memang mengasihi Marta dan kakaknya dan Lazarus.
11:6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
6 Namun setelah didengar-Nya, bahwa Lazarus sakit, Ia sengaja tinggal dua hari lagi di tempat, di mana Ia berada;
11:7 Then after that says he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
7 tetapi sesudah itu Ia berkata kepada murid-murid-Nya: "Mari kita kembali lagi ke Yudea."
11:8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone you; and go you thither again?
8 Murid-murid itu berkata kepada-Nya: "Rabi, baru-baru ini orang-orang Yahudi mencoba melempari Engkau, masih maukah Engkau kembali ke sana?"
11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.
9 Jawab Yesus: "Bukankah ada dua belas jam dalam satu hari? Siapa yang berjalan pada siang hari, kakinya tidak terantuk, karena ia melihat terang dunia ini.
11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.
10 Tetapi jikalau seorang berjalan pada malam hari, kakinya terantuk, karena terang tidak ada di dalam dirinya."
11:11 These things said he: and after that he says unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
11 Demikianlah perkataan-Nya, dan sesudah itu Ia berkata kepada mereka: "Lazarus, saudara kita, telah tertidur, tetapi Aku pergi ke sana untuk membangunkan dia dari tidurnya."
11:12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
12 Maka kata murid-murid itu kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, jikalau ia tertidur, ia akan sembuh."
11:13 Nevertheless Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
13 Tetapi maksud Yesus ialah tertidur dalam arti mati, sedangkan sangka mereka Yesus berkata tentang tertidur dalam arti biasa.
11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
14 Karena itu Yesus berkata dengan terus terang: "Lazarus sudah mati;
11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent all of you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
15 tetapi syukurlah Aku tidak hadir pada waktu itu, sebab demikian lebih baik bagimu, supaya kamu dapat belajar percaya. Marilah kita pergi sekarang kepadanya."
11:16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
16 Lalu Tomas, yang disebut Didimus, berkata kepada teman-temannya, yaitu murid-murid yang lain: "Marilah kita pergi juga untuk mati bersama-sama dengan Dia."
11:17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
17 Maka ketika Yesus tiba, didapati-Nya Lazarus telah empat hari berbaring di dalam kubur.
11:18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
18 Betania terletak dekat Yerusalem, kira-kira dua mil jauhnya.
11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
19 Di situ banyak orang Yahudi telah datang kepada Marta dan Maria untuk menghibur mereka berhubung dengan kematian saudaranya.
11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
20 Ketika Marta mendengar, bahwa Yesus datang, ia pergi mendapatkan-Nya. Tetapi Maria tinggal di rumah.
11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.
21 Maka kata Marta kepada Yesus: "Tuhan, sekiranya Engkau ada di sini, saudaraku pasti tidak mati.
11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will give it you.
22 Tetapi sekarangpun aku tahu, bahwa Allah akan memberikan kepada-Mu segala sesuatu yang Engkau minta kepada-Nya."
11:23 Jesus says unto her, Your brother shall rise again.
23 Kata Yesus kepada Marta: "Saudaramu akan bangkit."
11:24 Martha says unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
24 Kata Marta kepada-Nya: "Aku tahu bahwa ia akan bangkit pada waktu orang-orang bangkit pada akhir zaman."
11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
25 Jawab Yesus: "Akulah kebangkitan dan hidup; barangsiapa percaya kepada-Ku, ia akan hidup walaupun ia sudah mati,
11:26 And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this?
26 dan setiap orang yang hidup dan yang percaya kepada-Ku, tidak akan mati selama-lamanya. Percayakah engkau akan hal ini?"
11:27 She says unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
27 Jawab Marta: "Ya, Tuhan, aku percaya, bahwa Engkaulah Mesias, Anak Allah, Dia yang akan datang ke dalam dunia."
11:28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master has come, and calls for you.
28 Dan sesudah berkata demikian ia pergi memanggil saudaranya Maria dan berbisik kepadanya: "Guru ada di sana dan Ia memanggil engkau."
11:29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
29 Mendengar itu Maria segera bangkit lalu pergi mendapatkan Yesus.
11:30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
30 Tetapi waktu itu Yesus belum sampai ke dalam kampung itu. Ia masih berada di tempat Marta menjumpai Dia.
11:31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goes unto the grave to weep there.
31 Ketika orang-orang Yahudi yang bersama-sama dengan Maria di rumah itu untuk menghiburnya, melihat bahwa Maria segera bangkit dan pergi ke luar, mereka mengikutinya, karena mereka menyangka bahwa ia pergi ke kubur untuk meratap di situ.
11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.
32 Setibanya Maria di tempat Yesus berada dan melihat Dia, tersungkurlah ia di depan kaki-Nya dan berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, sekiranya Engkau ada di sini, saudaraku pasti tidak mati."
11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and was troubled.
33 Ketika Yesus melihat Maria menangis dan juga orang-orang Yahudi yang datang bersama-sama dia, maka masygullah hati-Nya. Ia sangat terharu dan berkata:
11:34 And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
34 "Di manakah dia kamu baringkan?" Jawab mereka: "Tuhan, marilah dan lihatlah!"
11:35 Jesus wept.
35 Maka menangislah Yesus.
11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
36 Kata orang-orang Yahudi: "Lihatlah, betapa kasih-Nya kepadanya!"
11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
37 Tetapi beberapa orang di antaranya berkata: "Ia yang memelekkan mata orang buta, tidak sanggupkah Ia bertindak, sehingga orang ini tidak mati?"
11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
38 Maka masygullah pula hati Yesus, lalu Ia pergi ke kubur itu. Kubur itu adalah sebuah gua yang ditutup dengan batu.
11:39 Jesus said, Take all of you away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, says unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been dead four days.
39 Kata Yesus: "Angkat batu itu!" Marta, saudara orang yang meninggal itu, berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, ia sudah berbau, sebab sudah empat hari ia mati."
11:40 Jesus says unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?
40 Jawab Yesus: "Bukankah sudah Kukatakan kepadamu: Jikalau engkau percaya engkau akan melihat kemuliaan Allah?"
11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
41 Maka mereka mengangkat batu itu. Lalu Yesus menengadah ke atas dan berkata: "Bapa, Aku mengucap syukur kepada-Mu, karena Engkau telah mendengarkan Aku.
11:42 And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.
42 Aku tahu, bahwa Engkau selalu mendengarkan Aku, tetapi oleh karena orang banyak yang berdiri di sini mengelilingi Aku, Aku mengatakannya, supaya mereka percaya, bahwa Engkaulah yang telah mengutus Aku."
11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
43 Dan sesudah berkata demikian, berserulah Ia dengan suara keras: "Lazarus, marilah ke luar!"
11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus says unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
44 Orang yang telah mati itu datang ke luar, kaki dan tangannya masih terikat dengan kain kapan dan mukanya tertutup dengan kain peluh. Kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Bukalah kain-kain itu dan biarkan ia pergi."
11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
45 Banyak di antara orang-orang Yahudi yang datang melawat Maria dan yang menyaksikan sendiri apa yang telah dibuat Yesus, percaya kepada-Nya.
11:46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
46 Tetapi ada yang pergi kepada orang-orang Farisi dan menceriterakan kepada mereka, apa yang telah dibuat Yesus itu.
11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man does many miracles.
47 Lalu imam-imam kepala dan orang-orang Farisi memanggil Mahkamah Agama untuk berkumpul dan mereka berkata: "Apakah yang harus kita buat? Sebab orang itu membuat banyak mujizat.
11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
48 Apabila kita biarkan Dia, maka semua orang akan percaya kepada-Nya dan orang-orang Roma akan datang dan akan merampas tempat suci kita serta bangsa kita."
11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, All of you know nothing at all,
49 Tetapi seorang di antara mereka, yaitu Kayafas, Imam Besar pada tahun itu, berkata kepada mereka: "Kamu tidak tahu apa-apa,
11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
50 dan kamu tidak insaf, bahwa lebih berguna bagimu, jika satu orang mati untuk bangsa kita dari pada seluruh bangsa kita ini binasa."
11:51 And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
51 Hal itu dikatakannya bukan dari dirinya sendiri, tetapi sebagai Imam Besar pada tahun itu ia bernubuat, bahwa Yesus akan mati untuk bangsa itu,
11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
52 dan bukan untuk bangsa itu saja, tetapi juga untuk mengumpulkan dan mempersatukan anak-anak Allah yang tercerai-berai.
11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together in order to put him to death.
53 Mulai dari hari itu mereka sepakat untuk membunuh Dia.
11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
54 Karena itu Yesus tidak tampil lagi di muka umum di antara orang-orang Yahudi, Ia berangkat dari situ ke daerah dekat padang gurun, ke sebuah kota yang bernama Efraim, dan di situ Ia tinggal bersama-sama murid-murid-Nya.
11:55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
55 Pada waktu itu hari raya Paskah orang Yahudi sudah dekat dan banyak orang dari negeri itu berangkat ke Yerusalem untuk menyucikan diri sebelum Paskah itu.
11:56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think all of you, that he will not come to the feast?
56 Mereka mencari Yesus dan sambil berdiri di dalam Bait Allah, mereka berkata seorang kepada yang lain: "Bagaimana pendapatmu? Akan datang jugakah Ia ke pesta?"
11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should show it, that they might take him.
57 Sementara itu imam-imam kepala dan orang-orang Farisi telah memberikan perintah supaya setiap orang yang tahu di mana Dia berada memberitahukannya, agar mereka dapat menangkap Dia.
12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
1 Enam hari sebelum Paskah Yesus datang ke Betania, tempat tinggal Lazarus yang dibangkitkan Yesus dari antara orang mati.
12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
2 Di situ diadakan perjamuan untuk Dia dan Marta melayani, sedang salah seorang yang turut makan dengan Yesus adalah Lazarus.
12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
3 Maka Maria mengambil setengah kati minyak narwastu murni yang mahal harganya, lalu meminyaki kaki Yesus dan menyekanya dengan rambutnya; dan bau minyak semerbak di seluruh rumah itu.
12:4 Then says one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
4 Tetapi Yudas Iskariot, seorang dari murid-murid Yesus, yang akan segera menyerahkan Dia, berkata:
12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
5 "Mengapa minyak narwastu ini tidak dijual tiga ratus dinar dan uangnya diberikan kepada orang-orang miskin?"
12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
6 Hal itu dikatakannya bukan karena ia memperhatikan nasib orang-orang miskin, melainkan karena ia adalah seorang pencuri; ia sering mengambil uang yang disimpan dalam kas yang dipegangnya.
12:7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying has she kept this.
7 Maka kata Yesus: "Biarkanlah dia melakukan hal ini mengingat hari penguburan-Ku.
12:8 For the poor always all of you have with you; but me all of you have not always.
8 Karena orang-orang miskin selalu ada pada kamu, tetapi Aku tidak akan selalu ada pada kamu."
12:9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
9 Sejumlah besar orang Yahudi mendengar, bahwa Yesus ada di sana dan mereka datang bukan hanya karena Yesus, melainkan juga untuk melihat Lazarus, yang telah dibangkitkan-Nya dari antara orang mati.
12:10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
10 Lalu imam-imam kepala bermupakat untuk membunuh Lazarus juga,
12:11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
11 sebab karena dia banyak orang Yahudi meninggalkan mereka dan percaya kepada Yesus.
12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
12 Keesokan harinya ketika orang banyak yang datang merayakan pesta mendengar, bahwa Yesus sedang di tengah jalan menuju Yerusalem,
12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord.
13 mereka mengambil daun-daun palem, dan pergi menyongsong Dia sambil berseru-seru: "Hosana! Diberkatilah Dia yang datang dalam nama Tuhan, Raja Israel!"
12:14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
14 Yesus menemukan seekor keledai muda lalu Ia naik ke atasnya, seperti ada tertulis:
12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, your King comes, sitting on an ass's colt.
15 "Jangan takut, hai puteri Sion, lihatlah, Rajamu datang, duduk di atas seekor anak keledai."
12:16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
16 Mula-mula murid-murid Yesus tidak mengerti akan hal itu, tetapi sesudah Yesus dimuliakan, teringatlah mereka, bahwa nas itu mengenai Dia, dan bahwa mereka telah melakukannya juga untuk Dia.
12:17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
17 Orang banyak yang bersama-sama dengan Dia ketika Ia memanggil Lazarus keluar dari kubur dan membangkitkannya dari antara orang mati, memberi kesaksian tentang Dia.
12:18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
18 Sebab itu orang banyak itu pergi menyongsong Dia, karena mereka mendengar, bahwa Ia yang membuat mujizat itu.
12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive all of you how all of you prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
19 Maka kata orang-orang Farisi seorang kepada yang lain: "Kamu lihat sendiri, bahwa kamu sama sekali tidak berhasil, lihatlah, seluruh dunia datang mengikuti Dia."
12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
20 Di antara mereka yang berangkat untuk beribadah pada hari raya itu, terdapat beberapa orang Yunani.
12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
21 Orang-orang itu pergi kepada Filipus, yang berasal dari Betsaida di Galilea, lalu berkata kepadanya: "Tuan, kami ingin bertemu dengan Yesus."
12:22 Philip comes and tells Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
22 Filipus pergi memberitahukannya kepada Andreas; Andreas dan Filipus menyampaikannya pula kepada Yesus.
12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
23 Tetapi Yesus menjawab mereka, kata-Nya: "Telah tiba saatnya Anak Manusia dimuliakan.
12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.
24 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya jikalau biji gandum tidak jatuh ke dalam tanah dan mati, ia tetap satu biji saja; tetapi jika ia mati, ia akan menghasilkan banyak buah.
12:25 He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
25 Barangsiapa mencintai nyawanya, ia akan kehilangan nyawanya, tetapi barangsiapa tidak mencintai nyawanya di dunia ini, ia akan memeliharanya untuk hidup yang kekal.
12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
26 Barangsiapa melayani Aku, ia harus mengikut Aku dan di mana Aku berada, di situpun pelayan-Ku akan berada. Barangsiapa melayani Aku, ia akan dihormati Bapa.
12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
27 Sekarang jiwa-Ku terharu dan apakah yang akan Kukatakan? Bapa, selamatkanlah Aku dari saat ini? Tidak, sebab untuk itulah Aku datang ke dalam saat ini.
12:28 Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
28 Bapa, muliakanlah nama-Mu!" Maka terdengarlah suara dari sorga: "Aku telah memuliakan-Nya, dan Aku akan memuliakan-Nya lagi!"
12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.
29 Orang banyak yang berdiri di situ dan mendengarkannya berkata, bahwa itu bunyi guntur. Ada pula yang berkata: "Seorang malaikat telah berbicara dengan Dia."
12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
30 Jawab Yesus: "Suara itu telah terdengar bukan oleh karena Aku, melainkan oleh karena kamu.
12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
31 Sekarang berlangsung penghakiman atas dunia ini: sekarang juga penguasa dunia ini akan dilemparkan ke luar;
12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
32 dan Aku, apabila Aku ditinggikan dari bumi, Aku akan menarik semua orang datang kepada-Ku."
12:33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
33 Ini dikatakan-Nya untuk menyatakan bagaimana caranya Ia akan mati.
12:34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides for ever: and how says you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
34 Lalu jawab orang banyak itu: "Kami telah mendengar dari hukum Taurat, bahwa Mesias tetap hidup selama-lamanya; bagaimana mungkin Engkau mengatakan, bahwa Anak Manusia harus ditinggikan? Siapakah Anak Manusia itu?"
12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.
35 Kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Hanya sedikit waktu lagi terang ada di antara kamu. Selama terang itu ada padamu, percayalah kepadanya, supaya kegelapan jangan menguasai kamu; barangsiapa berjalan dalam kegelapan, ia tidak tahu ke mana ia pergi.
12:36 While all of you have light, believe in the light, that all of you may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
36 Percayalah kepada terang itu, selama terang itu ada padamu, supaya kamu menjadi anak-anak terang." Sesudah berkata demikian, Yesus pergi bersembunyi dari antara mereka.
12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
37 Dan meskipun Yesus mengadakan begitu banyak mujizat di depan mata mereka, namun mereka tidak percaya kepada-Nya,
12:38 That the saying (o. logos) of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
38 supaya genaplah firman yang disampaikan oleh nabi Yesaya: "Tuhan, siapakah yang percaya kepada pemberitaan kami? Dan kepada siapakah tangan kekuasaan Tuhan dinyatakan?"
12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
39 Karena itu mereka tidak dapat percaya, sebab Yesaya telah berkata juga:
12:40 He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
40 "Ia telah membutakan mata dan mendegilkan hati mereka, supaya mereka jangan melihat dengan mata, dan menanggap dengan hati, lalu berbalik, sehingga Aku menyembuhkan mereka."
12:41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
41 Hal ini dikatakan oleh Yesaya, karena ia telah melihat kemuliaan-Nya dan telah berkata-kata tentang Dia.
12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
42 Namun banyak juga di antara pemimpin yang percaya kepada-Nya, tetapi oleh karena orang-orang Farisi mereka tidak mengakuinya berterus terang, supaya mereka jangan dikucilkan.
12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
43 Sebab mereka lebih suka akan kehormatan manusia dari pada kehormatan Allah.
12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.
44 Tetapi Yesus berseru kata-Nya: "Barangsiapa percaya kepada-Ku, ia bukan percaya kepada-Ku, tetapi kepada Dia, yang telah mengutus Aku;
12:45 And he that sees me sees him that sent me.
45 dan barangsiapa melihat Aku, ia melihat Dia, yang telah mengutus Aku.
12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.
46 Aku telah datang ke dalam dunia sebagai terang, supaya setiap orang yang percaya kepada-Ku, jangan tinggal di dalam kegelapan.
12:47 And if any man hear my words, (o. rhema) and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
47 Dan jikalau seorang mendengar perkataan-Ku, tetapi tidak melakukannya, Aku tidak menjadi hakimnya, sebab Aku datang bukan untuk menghakimi dunia, melainkan untuk menyelamatkannya.
12:48 He that rejects me, and receives not my words, (o. rhema) has one that judges him: the word (o. logos) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
48 Barangsiapa menolak Aku, dan tidak menerima perkataan-Ku, ia sudah ada hakimnya, yaitu firman yang telah Kukatakan, itulah yang akan menjadi hakimnya pada akhir zaman.
12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
49 Sebab Aku berkata-kata bukan dari diri-Ku sendiri, tetapi Bapa, yang mengutus Aku, Dialah yang memerintahkan Aku untuk mengatakan apa yang harus Aku katakan dan Aku sampaikan.
12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
50 Dan Aku tahu, bahwa perintah-Nya itu adalah hidup yang kekal. Jadi apa yang Aku katakan, Aku menyampaikannya sebagaimana yang difirmankan oleh Bapa kepada-Ku."
13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
1 Sementara itu sebelum hari raya Paskah mulai, Yesus telah tahu, bahwa saat-Nya sudah tiba untuk beralih dari dunia ini kepada Bapa. Sama seperti Ia senantiasa mengasihi murid-murid-Nya demikianlah sekarang Ia mengasihi mereka sampai kepada kesudahannya.
13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
2 Mereka sedang makan bersama, dan Iblis telah membisikkan rencana dalam hati Yudas Iskariot, anak Simon, untuk mengkhianati Dia.
13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
3 Yesus tahu, bahwa Bapa-Nya telah menyerahkan segala sesuatu kepada-Nya dan bahwa Ia datang dari Allah dan kembali kepada Allah.
13:4 He rises from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
4 Lalu bangunlah Yesus dan menanggalkan jubah-Nya. Ia mengambil sehelai kain lenan dan mengikatkannya pada pinggang-Nya,
13:5 After that he pours water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
5 kemudian Ia menuangkan air ke dalam sebuah basi, dan mulai membasuh kaki murid-murid-Nya lalu menyekanya dengan kain yang terikat pada pinggang-Nya itu.
13:6 Then comes he to Simon Peter: and Peter says unto him, Lord, do you wash my feet?
6 Maka sampailah Ia kepada Simon Petrus. Kata Petrus kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, Engkau hendak membasuh kakiku?"
13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you know not now; but you shall know hereafter.
7 Jawab Yesus kepadanya: "Apa yang Kuperbuat, engkau tidak tahu sekarang, tetapi engkau akan mengertinya kelak."
13:8 Peter says unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash you not, you have no part with me.
8 Kata Petrus kepada-Nya: "Engkau tidak akan membasuh kakiku sampai selama-lamanya." Jawab Yesus: "Jikalau Aku tidak membasuh engkau, engkau tidak mendapat bagian dalam Aku."
13:9 Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
9 Kata Simon Petrus kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, jangan hanya kakiku saja, tetapi juga tangan dan kepalaku!"
13:10 Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean everything: and all of you are clean, but not all.
10 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Barangsiapa telah mandi, ia tidak usah membasuh diri lagi selain membasuh kakinya, karena ia sudah bersih seluruhnya. Juga kamu sudah bersih, hanya tidak semua."
13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, All of you are not all clean.
11 Sebab Ia tahu, siapa yang akan menyerahkan Dia. Karena itu Ia berkata: "Tidak semua kamu bersih."
13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know all of you what I have done to you?
12 Sesudah Ia membasuh kaki mereka, Ia mengenakan pakaian-Nya dan kembali ke tempat-Nya. Lalu Ia berkata kepada mereka: "Mengertikah kamu apa yang telah Kuperbuat kepadamu?
13:13 All of you call me Master and Lord: and all of you say well; for so I am.
13 Kamu menyebut Aku Guru dan Tuhan, dan katamu itu tepat, sebab memang Akulah Guru dan Tuhan.
13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; all of you also ought to wash one another's feet.
14 Jadi jikalau Aku membasuh kakimu, Aku yang adalah Tuhan dan Gurumu, maka kamupun wajib saling membasuh kakimu;
13:15 For I have given you an example, that all of you should do as I have done to you.
15 sebab Aku telah memberikan suatu teladan kepada kamu, supaya kamu juga berbuat sama seperti yang telah Kuperbuat kepadamu.
13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
16 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya seorang hamba tidaklah lebih tinggi dari pada tuannya, ataupun seorang utusan dari pada dia yang mengutusnya.
13:17 If all of you know these things, happy are all of you if all of you do them.
17 Jikalau kamu tahu semua ini, maka berbahagialah kamu, jika kamu melakukannya.
13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.
18 Bukan tentang kamu semua Aku berkata. Aku tahu, siapa yang telah Kupilih. Tetapi haruslah genap nas ini: Orang yang makan roti-Ku, telah mengangkat tumitnya terhadap Aku.
13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it has come to pass, all of you may believe that I am he.
19 Aku mengatakannya kepadamu sekarang juga sebelum hal itu terjadi, supaya jika hal itu terjadi, kamu percaya, bahwa Akulah Dia.
13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receives whomsoever I send receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.
20 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya barangsiapa menerima orang yang Kuutus, ia menerima Aku, dan barangsiapa menerima Aku, ia menerima Dia yang mengutus Aku."
13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, (o. pneuma) and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
21 Setelah Yesus berkata demikian Ia sangat terharu, lalu bersaksi: "Aku berkata kepadamu, sesungguhnya seorang di antara kamu akan menyerahkan Aku."
13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
22 Murid-murid itu memandang seorang kepada yang lain, mereka ragu-ragu siapa yang dimaksudkan-Nya.
13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
23 Seorang di antara murid Yesus, yaitu murid yang dikasihi-Nya, bersandar dekat kepada-Nya, di sebelah kanan-Nya.
13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spoke.
24 Kepada murid itu Simon Petrus memberi isyarat dan berkata: "Tanyalah siapa yang dimaksudkan-Nya!"
13:25 He then lying on Jesus' breast says unto him, Lord, who is it?
25 Murid yang duduk dekat Yesus itu berpaling dan berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, siapakah itu?"
13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a morsel, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
26 Jawab Yesus: "Dialah itu, yang kepadanya Aku akan memberikan roti, sesudah Aku mencelupkannya." Sesudah berkata demikian Ia mengambil roti, mencelupkannya dan memberikannya kepada Yudas, anak Simon Iskariot.
13:27 And after the morsel Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That you do, do quickly.
27 Dan sesudah Yudas menerima roti itu, ia kerasukan Iblis. Maka Yesus berkata kepadanya: "Apa yang hendak kauperbuat, perbuatlah dengan segera."
13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this unto him.
28 Tetapi tidak ada seorangpun dari antara mereka yang duduk makan itu mengerti, apa maksud Yesus mengatakan itu kepada Yudas.
13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
29 Karena Yudas memegang kas ada yang menyangka, bahwa Yesus menyuruh dia membeli apa-apa yang perlu untuk perayaan itu, atau memberi apa-apa kepada orang miskin.
13:30 He then having received the morsel went immediately out: and it was night.
30 Yudas menerima roti itu lalu segera pergi. Pada waktu itu hari sudah malam.
13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
31 Sesudah Yudas pergi, berkatalah Yesus: "Sekarang Anak Manusia dipermuliakan dan Allah dipermuliakan di dalam Dia.
13:32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall immediately glorify him.
32 Jikalau Allah dipermuliakan di dalam Dia, Allah akan mempermuliakan Dia juga di dalam diri-Nya, dan akan mempermuliakan Dia dengan segera.
13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. All of you shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Where I go, all of you cannot come; so now I say to you.
33 Hai anak-anak-Ku, hanya seketika saja lagi Aku ada bersama kamu. Kamu akan mencari Aku, dan seperti yang telah Kukatakan kepada orang-orang Yahudi: Ke tempat Aku pergi, tidak mungkin kamu datang, demikian pula Aku mengatakannya sekarang juga kepada kamu.
13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another.
34 Aku memberikan perintah baru kepada kamu, yaitu supaya kamu saling mengasihi; sama seperti Aku telah mengasihi kamu demikian pula kamu harus saling mengasihi.
13:35 By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all of you have love (o. agape) one to another.
35 Dengan demikian semua orang akan tahu, bahwa kamu adalah murid-murid-Ku, yaitu jikalau kamu saling mengasihi."
13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, where go you? Jesus answered him, Where I go, you can not follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.
36 Simon Petrus berkata kepada Yesus: "Tuhan, ke manakah Engkau pergi?" Jawab Yesus: "Ke tempat Aku pergi, engkau tidak dapat mengikuti Aku sekarang, tetapi kelak engkau akan mengikuti Aku."
13:37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay down my life for your sake.
37 Kata Petrus kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, mengapa aku tidak dapat mengikuti Engkau sekarang? Aku akan memberikan nyawaku bagi-Mu!"
13:38 Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me three times.
38 Jawab Yesus: "Nyawamu akan kauberikan bagi-Ku? Sesungguhnya Aku berkata kepadamu: Sebelum ayam berkokok, engkau telah menyangkal Aku tiga kali."
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: all of you believe in God, believe also in me.
1 "Janganlah gelisah hatimu; percayalah kepada Allah, percayalah juga kepada-Ku.
14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
2 Di rumah Bapa-Ku banyak tempat tinggal. Jika tidak demikian, tentu Aku mengatakannya kepadamu. Sebab Aku pergi ke situ untuk menyediakan tempat bagimu.
14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there all of you may be also.
3 Dan apabila Aku telah pergi ke situ dan telah menyediakan tempat bagimu, Aku akan datang kembali dan membawa kamu ke tempat-Ku, supaya di tempat di mana Aku berada, kamupun berada.
14:4 And where I go all of you know, and the way all of you know.
4 Dan ke mana Aku pergi, kamu tahu jalan ke situ."
14:5 Thomas says unto him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?
5 Kata Tomas kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, kami tidak tahu ke mana Engkau pergi; jadi bagaimana kami tahu jalan ke situ?"
14:6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
6 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Akulah jalan dan kebenaran dan hidup. Tidak ada seorangpun yang datang kepada Bapa, kalau tidak melalui Aku.
14:7 If all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth all of you know him, and have seen him.
7 Sekiranya kamu mengenal Aku, pasti kamu juga mengenal Bapa-Ku. Sekarang ini kamu mengenal Dia dan kamu telah melihat Dia."
14:8 Philip says unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it satisfies us.
8 Kata Filipus kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, tunjukkanlah Bapa itu kepada kami, itu sudah cukup bagi kami."
14:9 Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how says you then, Show us the Father?
9 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Telah sekian lama Aku bersama-sama kamu, Filipus, namun engkau tidak mengenal Aku? Barangsiapa telah melihat Aku, ia telah melihat Bapa; bagaimana engkau berkata: Tunjukkanlah Bapa itu kepada kami.
14:10 Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (o. rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
10 Tidak percayakah engkau, bahwa Aku di dalam Bapa dan Bapa di dalam Aku? Apa yang Aku katakan kepadamu, tidak Aku katakan dari diri-Ku sendiri, tetapi Bapa, yang diam di dalam Aku, Dialah yang melakukan pekerjaan-Nya.
14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
11 Percayalah kepada-Ku, bahwa Aku di dalam Bapa dan Bapa di dalam Aku; atau setidak-tidaknya, percayalah karena pekerjaan-pekerjaan itu sendiri.
14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
12 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya barangsiapa percaya kepada-Ku, ia akan melakukan juga pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang Aku lakukan, bahkan pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang lebih besar dari pada itu. Sebab Aku pergi kepada Bapa;
14:13 And whatsoever all of you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
13 dan apa juga yang kamu minta dalam nama-Ku, Aku akan melakukannya, supaya Bapa dipermuliakan di dalam Anak.
14:14 If all of you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
14 Jika kamu meminta sesuatu kepada-Ku dalam nama-Ku, Aku akan melakukannya."
14:15 If all of you love me, keep my commandments.
15 "Jikalau kamu mengasihi Aku, kamu akan menuruti segala perintah-Ku.
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
16 Aku akan minta kepada Bapa, dan Ia akan memberikan kepadamu seorang Penolong yang lain, supaya Ia menyertai kamu selama-lamanya,
14:17 Even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but all of you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
17 yaitu Roh Kebenaran. Dunia tidak dapat menerima Dia, sebab dunia tidak melihat Dia dan tidak mengenal Dia. Tetapi kamu mengenal Dia, sebab Ia menyertai kamu dan akan diam di dalam kamu.
14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
18 Aku tidak akan meninggalkan kamu sebagai yatim piatu. Aku datang kembali kepadamu.
14:19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but all of you see me: because I live, all of you shall live also.
19 Tinggal sesaat lagi dan dunia tidak akan melihat Aku lagi, tetapi kamu melihat Aku, sebab Aku hidup dan kamupun akan hidup.
14:20 At that day all of you shall know that I am in my Father, and all of you in me, and I in you.
20 Pada waktu itulah kamu akan tahu, bahwa Aku di dalam Bapa-Ku dan kamu di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam kamu.
14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
21 Barangsiapa memegang perintah-Ku dan melakukannya, dialah yang mengasihi Aku. Dan barangsiapa mengasihi Aku, ia akan dikasihi oleh Bapa-Ku dan Akupun akan mengasihi dia dan akan menyatakan diri-Ku kepadanya."
14:22 Judas says unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world?
22 Yudas, yang bukan Iskariot, berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, apakah sebabnya maka Engkau hendak menyatakan diri-Mu kepada kami, dan bukan kepada dunia?"
14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: (o. logos) and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
23 Jawab Yesus: "Jika seorang mengasihi Aku, ia akan menuruti firman-Ku dan Bapa-Ku akan mengasihi dia dan Kami akan datang kepadanya dan diam bersama-sama dengan dia.
14:24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: (o. logos) and the word (o. logos) which all of you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
24 Barangsiapa tidak mengasihi Aku, ia tidak menuruti firman-Ku; dan firman yang kamu dengar itu bukanlah dari pada-Ku, melainkan dari Bapa yang mengutus Aku.
14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
25 Semuanya itu Kukatakan kepadamu, selagi Aku berada bersama-sama dengan kamu;
14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
26 tetapi Penghibur, yaitu Roh Kudus, yang akan diutus oleh Bapa dalam nama-Ku, Dialah yang akan mengajarkan segala sesuatu kepadamu dan akan mengingatkan kamu akan semua yang telah Kukatakan kepadamu.
14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
27 Damai sejahtera Kutinggalkan bagimu. Damai sejahtera-Ku Kuberikan kepadamu, dan apa yang Kuberikan tidak seperti yang diberikan oleh dunia kepadamu. Janganlah gelisah dan gentar hatimu.
14:28 All of you have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If all of you loved me, all of you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
28 Kamu telah mendengar, bahwa Aku telah berkata kepadamu: Aku pergi, tetapi Aku datang kembali kepadamu. Sekiranya kamu mengasihi Aku, kamu tentu akan bersukacita karena Aku pergi kepada Bapa-Ku, sebab Bapa lebih besar dari pada Aku.
14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it has come to pass, all of you might believe.
29 Dan sekarang juga Aku mengatakannya kepadamu sebelum hal itu terjadi, supaya kamu percaya, apabila hal itu terjadi.
14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.
30 Tidak banyak lagi Aku berkata-kata dengan kamu, sebab penguasa dunia ini datang dan ia tidak berkuasa sedikitpun atas diri-Ku.
14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go behind.
31 Tetapi supaya dunia tahu, bahwa Aku mengasihi Bapa dan bahwa Aku melakukan segala sesuatu seperti yang diperintahkan Bapa kepada-Ku, bangunlah, marilah kita pergi dari sini."
15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
1 "Akulah pokok anggur yang benar dan Bapa-Kulah pengusahanya.
15:2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
2 Setiap ranting pada-Ku yang tidak berbuah, dipotong-Nya dan setiap ranting yang berbuah, dibersihkan-Nya, supaya ia lebih banyak berbuah.
15:3 Now all of you are clean through the word (o. logos) which I have spoken unto you.
3 Kamu memang sudah bersih karena firman yang telah Kukatakan kepadamu.
15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can all of you, except all of you abide in me.
4 Tinggallah di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam kamu. Sama seperti ranting tidak dapat berbuah dari dirinya sendiri, kalau ia tidak tinggal pada pokok anggur, demikian juga kamu tidak berbuah, jikalau kamu tidak tinggal di dalam Aku.
15:5 I am the vine, all of you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me all of you can do nothing.
5 Akulah pokok anggur dan kamulah ranting-rantingnya. Barangsiapa tinggal di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam dia, ia berbuah banyak, sebab di luar Aku kamu tidak dapat berbuat apa-apa.
15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
6 Barangsiapa tidak tinggal di dalam Aku, ia dibuang ke luar seperti ranting dan menjadi kering, kemudian dikumpulkan orang dan dicampakkan ke dalam api lalu dibakar.
15:7 If all of you abide in me, and my words (o. rhema) abide in you, all of you shall ask what all of you will, and it shall be done unto you.
7 Jikalau kamu tinggal di dalam Aku dan firman-Ku tinggal di dalam kamu, mintalah apa saja yang kamu kehendaki, dan kamu akan menerimanya.
15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that all of you bear much fruit; so shall all of you be my disciples.
8 Dalam hal inilah Bapa-Ku dipermuliakan, yaitu jika kamu berbuah banyak dan dengan demikian kamu adalah murid-murid-Ku."
15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue all of you in my love. (o. agape)
9 "Seperti Bapa telah mengasihi Aku, demikianlah juga Aku telah mengasihi kamu; tinggallah di dalam kasih-Ku itu.
15:10 If all of you keep my commandments, all of you shall abide in my love; (o. agape) even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (o. agape)
10 Jikalau kamu menuruti perintah-Ku, kamu akan tinggal di dalam kasih-Ku, seperti Aku menuruti perintah Bapa-Ku dan tinggal di dalam kasih-Nya.
15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
11 Semuanya itu Kukatakan kepadamu, supaya sukacita-Ku ada di dalam kamu dan sukacitamu menjadi penuh.
15:12 This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you.
12 Inilah perintah-Ku, yaitu supaya kamu saling mengasihi, seperti Aku telah mengasihi kamu.
15:13 Greater love (o. agape) has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
13 Tidak ada kasih yang lebih besar dari pada kasih seorang yang memberikan nyawanya untuk sahabat-sahabatnya.
15:14 All of you are my friends, if all of you do whatsoever I command you.
14 Kamu adalah sahabat-Ku, jikalau kamu berbuat apa yang Kuperintahkan kepadamu.
15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
15 Aku tidak menyebut kamu lagi hamba, sebab hamba tidak tahu, apa yang diperbuat oleh tuannya, tetapi Aku menyebut kamu sahabat, karena Aku telah memberitahukan kepada kamu segala sesuatu yang telah Kudengar dari Bapa-Ku.
15:16 All of you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that all of you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever all of you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
16 Bukan kamu yang memilih Aku, tetapi Akulah yang memilih kamu. Dan Aku telah menetapkan kamu, supaya kamu pergi dan menghasilkan buah dan buahmu itu tetap, supaya apa yang kamu minta kepada Bapa dalam nama-Ku, diberikan-Nya kepadamu.
15:17 These things I command you, that all of you love one another.
17 Inilah perintah-Ku kepadamu: Kasihilah seorang akan yang lain."
15:18 If the world hate you, all of you know that it hated me before it hated you.
18 "Jikalau dunia membenci kamu, ingatlah bahwa ia telah lebih dahulu membenci Aku dari pada kamu.
15:19 If all of you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because all of you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
19 Sekiranya kamu dari dunia, tentulah dunia mengasihi kamu sebagai miliknya. Tetapi karena kamu bukan dari dunia, melainkan Aku telah memilih kamu dari dunia, sebab itulah dunia membenci kamu.
15:20 Remember the word (o. logos) that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, (o. logos) they will keep yours also.
20 Ingatlah apa yang telah Kukatakan kepadamu: Seorang hamba tidaklah lebih tinggi dari pada tuannya. Jikalau mereka telah menganiaya Aku, mereka juga akan menganiaya kamu; jikalau mereka telah menuruti firman-Ku, mereka juga akan menuruti perkataanmu.
15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
21 Tetapi semuanya itu akan mereka lakukan terhadap kamu karena nama-Ku, sebab mereka tidak mengenal Dia, yang telah mengutus Aku.
15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
22 Sekiranya Aku tidak datang dan tidak berkata-kata kepada mereka, mereka tentu tidak berdosa. Tetapi sekarang mereka tidak mempunyai dalih bagi dosa mereka!
15:23 He that hates me hates my Father also.
23 Barangsiapa membenci Aku, ia membenci juga Bapa-Ku.
15:24 If I had not done among them the works which no other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
24 Sekiranya Aku tidak melakukan pekerjaan di tengah-tengah mereka seperti yang tidak pernah dilakukan orang lain, mereka tentu tidak berdosa. Tetapi sekarang walaupun mereka telah melihat semuanya itu, namun mereka membenci baik Aku maupun Bapa-Ku.
15:25 But this comes to pass, that the word (o. logos) might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
25 Tetapi firman yang ada tertulis dalam kitab Taurat mereka harus digenapi: Mereka membenci Aku tanpa alasan.
15:26 But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:
26 Jikalau Penghibur yang akan Kuutus dari Bapa datang, yaitu Roh Kebenaran yang keluar dari Bapa, Ia akan bersaksi tentang Aku.
15:27 And all of you also shall bear witness, because all of you have been with me from the beginning.
27 Tetapi kamu juga harus bersaksi, karena kamu dari semula bersama-sama dengan Aku."
16:1 These things have I spoken unto you, that all of you should not be offended.
1 "Semuanya ini Kukatakan kepadamu, supaya kamu jangan kecewa dan menolak Aku.
16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.
2 Kamu akan dikucilkan, bahkan akan datang saatnya bahwa setiap orang yang membunuh kamu akan menyangka bahwa ia berbuat bakti bagi Allah.
16:3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
3 Mereka akan berbuat demikian, karena mereka tidak mengenal baik Bapa maupun Aku.
16:4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, all of you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
4 Tetapi semuanya ini Kukatakan kepadamu, supaya apabila datang saatnya kamu ingat, bahwa Aku telah mengatakannya kepadamu." (16-4b) "Hal ini tidak Kukatakan kepadamu dari semula, karena selama ini Aku masih bersama-sama dengan kamu,
16:5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where go you?
5 tetapi sekarang Aku pergi kepada Dia yang telah mengutus Aku, dan tiada seorangpun di antara kamu yang bertanya kepada-Ku: Ke mana Engkau pergi?
16:6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.
6 Tetapi karena Aku mengatakan hal itu kepadamu, sebab itu hatimu berdukacita.
16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
7 Namun benar yang Kukatakan ini kepadamu: Adalah lebih berguna bagi kamu, jika Aku pergi. Sebab jikalau Aku tidak pergi, Penghibur itu tidak akan datang kepadamu, tetapi jikalau Aku pergi, Aku akan mengutus Dia kepadamu.
16:8 And when he has come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
8 Dan kalau Ia datang, Ia akan menginsafkan dunia akan dosa, kebenaran dan penghakiman;
16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
9 akan dosa, karena mereka tetap tidak percaya kepada-Ku;
16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and all of you see me no more;
10 akan kebenaran, karena Aku pergi kepada Bapa dan kamu tidak melihat Aku lagi;
16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
11 akan penghakiman, karena penguasa dunia ini telah dihukum.
16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but all of you cannot bear them now.
12 Masih banyak hal yang harus Kukatakan kepadamu, tetapi sekarang kamu belum dapat menanggungnya.
16:13 Nevertheless when he, the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
13 Tetapi apabila Ia datang, yaitu Roh Kebenaran, Ia akan memimpin kamu ke dalam seluruh kebenaran; sebab Ia tidak akan berkata-kata dari diri-Nya sendiri, tetapi segala sesuatu yang didengar-Nya itulah yang akan dikatakan-Nya dan Ia akan memberitakan kepadamu hal-hal yang akan datang.
16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.
14 Ia akan memuliakan Aku, sebab Ia akan memberitakan kepadamu apa yang diterimanya dari pada-Ku.
16:15 All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
15 Segala sesuatu yang Bapa punya, adalah Aku punya; sebab itu Aku berkata: Ia akan memberitakan kepadamu apa yang diterimanya dari pada-Ku."
16:16 A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me, because I go to the Father.
16 "Tinggal sesaat saja dan kamu tidak melihat Aku lagi dan tinggal sesaat saja pula dan kamu akan melihat Aku."
16:17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he says unto us, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
17 Mendengar itu beberapa dari murid-Nya berkata seorang kepada yang lain: "Apakah artinya Ia berkata kepada kita: Tinggal sesaat saja dan kamu tidak melihat Aku dan tinggal sesaat saja pula dan kamu akan melihat Aku? Dan: Aku pergi kepada Bapa?"
16:18 They said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot tell what he says.
18 Maka kata mereka: "Apakah artinya Ia berkata: Tinggal sesaat saja? Kita tidak tahu apa maksud-Nya."
16:19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do all of you enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me?
19 Yesus tahu, bahwa mereka hendak menanyakan sesuatu kepada-Nya, lalu Ia berkata kepada mereka: "Adakah kamu membicarakan seorang dengan yang lain apa yang Kukatakan tadi, yaitu: Tinggal sesaat saja dan kamu tidak melihat Aku dan tinggal sesaat saja pula dan kamu akan melihat Aku?
16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That all of you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and all of you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
20 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya kamu akan menangis dan meratap, tetapi dunia akan bergembira; kamu akan berdukacita, tetapi dukacitamu akan berubah menjadi sukacita.
16:21 A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
21 Seorang perempuan berdukacita pada saat ia melahirkan, tetapi sesudah ia melahirkan anaknya, ia tidak ingat lagi akan penderitaannya, karena kegembiraan bahwa seorang manusia telah dilahirkan ke dunia.
16:22 And all of you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.
22 Demikian juga kamu sekarang diliputi dukacita, tetapi Aku akan melihat kamu lagi dan hatimu akan bergembira dan tidak ada seorangpun yang dapat merampas kegembiraanmu itu dari padamu.
16:23 And in that day all of you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
23 Dan pada hari itu kamu tidak akan menanyakan apa-apa kepada-Ku. Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya segala sesuatu yang kamu minta kepada Bapa, akan diberikan-Nya kepadamu dalam nama-Ku.
16:24 Until now have all of you asked nothing in my name: ask, and all of you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
24 Sampai sekarang kamu belum meminta sesuatupun dalam nama-Ku. Mintalah maka kamu akan menerima, supaya penuhlah sukacitamu.
16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.
25 Semuanya ini Kukatakan kepadamu dengan kiasan. Akan tiba saatnya Aku tidak lagi berkata-kata kepadamu dengan kiasan, tetapi terus terang memberitakan Bapa kepadamu.
16:26 At that day all of you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
26 Pada hari itu kamu akan berdoa dalam nama-Ku. Dan tidak Aku katakan kepadamu, bahwa Aku meminta bagimu kepada Bapa,
16:27 For the Father himself loves you, because all of you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
27 sebab Bapa sendiri mengasihi kamu, karena kamu telah mengasihi Aku dan percaya, bahwa Aku datang dari Allah.
16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
28 Aku datang dari Bapa dan Aku datang ke dalam dunia; Aku meninggalkan dunia pula dan pergi kepada Bapa."
16:29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.
29 Kata murid-murid-Nya: "Lihat, sekarang Engkau terus terang berkata-kata dan Engkau tidak memakai kiasan.
16:30 Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.
30 Sekarang kami tahu, bahwa Engkau mengetahui segala sesuatu dan tidak perlu orang bertanya kepada-Mu. Karena itu kami percaya, bahwa Engkau datang dari Allah."
16:31 Jesus answered them, Do all of you now believe?
31 Jawab Yesus kepada mereka: "Percayakah kamu sekarang?
16:32 Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that all of you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
32 Lihat, saatnya datang, bahkan sudah datang, bahwa kamu diceraiberaikan masing-masing ke tempatnya sendiri dan kamu meninggalkan Aku seorang diri. Namun Aku tidak seorang diri, sebab Bapa menyertai Aku.
16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me all of you might have peace. In the world all of you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
33 Semuanya itu Kukatakan kepadamu, supaya kamu beroleh damai sejahtera dalam Aku. Dalam dunia kamu menderita penganiayaan, tetapi kuatkanlah hatimu, Aku telah mengalahkan dunia."
17:1 These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:
1 Demikianlah kata Yesus. Lalu Ia menengadah ke langit dan berkata: "Bapa, telah tiba saatnya; permuliakanlah Anak-Mu, supaya Anak-Mu mempermuliakan Engkau.
17:2 As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.
2 Sama seperti Engkau telah memberikan kepada-Nya kuasa atas segala yang hidup, demikian pula Ia akan memberikan hidup yang kekal kepada semua yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Nya.
17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
3 Inilah hidup yang kekal itu, yaitu bahwa mereka mengenal Engkau, satu-satunya Allah yang benar, dan mengenal Yesus Kristus yang telah Engkau utus.
17:4 I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.
4 Aku telah mempermuliakan Engkau di bumi dengan jalan menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang Engkau berikan kepada-Ku untuk melakukannya.
17:5 And now, O Father, glorify you me with yours own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.
5 Oleh sebab itu, ya Bapa, permuliakanlah Aku pada-Mu sendiri dengan kemuliaan yang Kumiliki di hadirat-Mu sebelum dunia ada.
17:6 I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them me; and they have kept your word. (o. logos)
6 Aku telah menyatakan nama-Mu kepada semua orang, yang Engkau berikan kepada-Ku dari dunia. Mereka itu milik-Mu dan Engkau telah memberikan mereka kepada-Ku dan mereka telah menuruti firman-Mu.
17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you.
7 Sekarang mereka tahu, bahwa semua yang Engkau berikan kepada-Ku itu berasal dari pada-Mu.
17:8 For I have given unto them the words (o. rhema) which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.
8 Sebab segala firman yang Engkau sampaikan kepada-Ku telah Kusampaikan kepada mereka dan mereka telah menerimanya. Mereka tahu benar-benar, bahwa Aku datang dari pada-Mu, dan mereka percaya, bahwa Engkaulah yang telah mengutus Aku.
17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours.
9 Aku berdoa untuk mereka. Bukan untuk dunia Aku berdoa, tetapi untuk mereka, yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, sebab mereka adalah milik-Mu
17:10 And all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them.
10 dan segala milik-Ku adalah milik-Mu dan milik-Mu adalah milik-Ku, dan Aku telah dipermuliakan di dalam mereka.
17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through yours own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are.
11 Dan Aku tidak ada lagi di dalam dunia, tetapi mereka masih ada di dalam dunia, dan Aku datang kepada-Mu. Ya Bapa yang kudus, peliharalah mereka dalam nama-Mu, yaitu nama-Mu yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, supaya mereka menjadi satu sama seperti Kita.
17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
12 Selama Aku bersama mereka, Aku memelihara mereka dalam nama-Mu, yaitu nama-Mu yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku; Aku telah menjaga mereka dan tidak ada seorangpun dari mereka yang binasa selain dari pada dia yang telah ditentukan untuk binasa, supaya genaplah yang tertulis dalam Kitab Suci.
17:13 And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
13 Tetapi sekarang, Aku datang kepada-Mu dan Aku mengatakan semuanya ini sementara Aku masih ada di dalam dunia, supaya penuhlah sukacita-Ku di dalam diri mereka.
17:14 I have given them your word; (o. logos) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
14 Aku telah memberikan firman-Mu kepada mereka dan dunia membenci mereka, karena mereka bukan dari dunia, sama seperti Aku bukan dari dunia.
17:15 I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.
15 Aku tidak meminta, supaya Engkau mengambil mereka dari dunia, tetapi supaya Engkau melindungi mereka dari pada yang jahat.
17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
16 Mereka bukan dari dunia, sama seperti Aku bukan dari dunia.
17:17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word (o. logos) is truth.
17 Kuduskanlah mereka dalam kebenaran; firman-Mu adalah kebenaran.
17:18 As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
18 Sama seperti Engkau telah mengutus Aku ke dalam dunia, demikian pula Aku telah mengutus mereka ke dalam dunia;
17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
19 dan Aku menguduskan diri-Ku bagi mereka, supaya merekapun dikuduskan dalam kebenaran.
17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (o. logos)
20 Dan bukan untuk mereka ini saja Aku berdoa, tetapi juga untuk orang-orang, yang percaya kepada-Ku oleh pemberitaan mereka;
17:21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.
21 supaya mereka semua menjadi satu, sama seperti Engkau, ya Bapa, di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam Engkau, agar mereka juga di dalam Kita, supaya dunia percaya, bahwa Engkaulah yang telah mengutus Aku.
17:22 And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
22 Dan Aku telah memberikan kepada mereka kemuliaan, yang Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, supaya mereka menjadi satu, sama seperti Kita adalah satu:
17:23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.
23 Aku di dalam mereka dan Engkau di dalam Aku supaya mereka sempurna menjadi satu, agar dunia tahu, bahwa Engkau yang telah mengutus Aku dan bahwa Engkau mengasihi mereka, sama seperti Engkau mengasihi Aku.
17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
24 Ya Bapa, Aku mau supaya, di manapun Aku berada, mereka juga berada bersama-sama dengan Aku, mereka yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, agar mereka memandang kemuliaan-Ku yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, sebab Engkau telah mengasihi Aku sebelum dunia dijadikan.
17:25 O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me.
25 Ya Bapa yang adil, memang dunia tidak mengenal Engkau, tetapi Aku mengenal Engkau, dan mereka ini tahu, bahwa Engkaulah yang telah mengutus Aku;
17:26 And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love (o. agape) wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
26 dan Aku telah memberitahukan nama-Mu kepada mereka dan Aku akan memberitahukannya, supaya kasih yang Engkau berikan kepada-Ku ada di dalam mereka dan Aku di dalam mereka."
18:1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.
1 Setelah Yesus mengatakan semuanya itu keluarlah Ia dari situ bersama-sama dengan murid-murid-Nya dan mereka pergi ke seberang sungai Kidron. Di situ ada suatu taman dan Ia masuk ke taman itu bersama-sama dengan murid-murid-Nya.
18:2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus frequently resorted thither with his disciples.
2 Yudas, yang mengkhianati Yesus, tahu juga tempat itu, karena Yesus sering berkumpul di situ dengan murid-murid-Nya.
18:3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
3 Maka datanglah Yudas juga ke situ dengan sepasukan prajurit dan penjaga-penjaga Bait Allah yang disuruh oleh imam-imam kepala dan orang-orang Farisi lengkap dengan lentera, suluh dan senjata.
18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek all of you?
4 Maka Yesus, yang tahu semua yang akan menimpa diri-Nya, maju ke depan dan berkata kepada mereka: "Siapakah yang kamu cari?"
18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus says unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
5 Jawab mereka: "Yesus dari Nazaret." Kata-Nya kepada mereka: "Akulah Dia." Yudas yang mengkhianati Dia berdiri juga di situ bersama-sama mereka.
18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

18:7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek all of you? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

18:8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore all of you seek me, let these go their way:
8 Jawab Yesus: "Telah Kukatakan kepadamu, Akulah Dia. Jika Aku yang kamu cari, biarkanlah mereka ini pergi."
18:9 That the saying (o. logos) might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Of them which you gave me have I lost none.
9 Demikian hendaknya supaya genaplah firman yang telah dikatakan-Nya: "Dari mereka yang Engkau serahkan kepada-Ku, tidak seorangpun yang Kubiarkan binasa."
18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and stroke the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
10 Lalu Simon Petrus, yang membawa pedang, menghunus pedang itu, menetakkannya kepada hamba Imam Besar dan memutuskan telinga kanannya. Nama hamba itu Malkhus.
18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up your sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?
11 Kata Yesus kepada Petrus: "Sarungkan pedangmu itu; bukankah Aku harus minum cawan yang diberikan Bapa kepada-Ku?"
18:12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,
12 Maka pasukan prajurit serta perwiranya dan penjaga-penjaga yang disuruh orang Yahudi itu menangkap Yesus dan membelenggu Dia.
18:13 And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
13 Lalu mereka membawa-Nya mula-mula kepada Hanas, karena Hanas adalah mertua Kayafas, yang pada tahun itu menjadi Imam Besar;
18:14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
14 dan Kayafaslah yang telah menasihatkan orang-orang Yahudi: "Adalah lebih berguna jika satu orang mati untuk seluruh bangsa."
18:15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.
15 Simon Petrus dan seorang murid lain mengikuti Yesus. Murid itu mengenal Imam Besar dan ia masuk bersama-sama dengan Yesus ke halaman istana Imam Besar,
18:16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spoke unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
16 tetapi Petrus tinggal di luar dekat pintu. Maka murid lain tadi, yang mengenal Imam Besar, kembali ke luar, bercakap-cakap dengan perempuan penjaga pintu lalu membawa Petrus masuk.
18:17 Then says the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Are not you also one of this man's disciples? He says, I am not.
17 Maka kata hamba perempuan penjaga pintu kepada Petrus: "Bukankah engkau juga murid orang itu?" Jawab Petrus: "Bukan!"
18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.
18 Sementara itu hamba-hamba dan penjaga-penjaga Bait Allah telah memasang api arang, sebab hawa dingin waktu itu, dan mereka berdiri berdiang di situ. Juga Petrus berdiri berdiang bersama-sama dengan mereka.
18:19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
19 Maka mulailah Imam Besar menanyai Yesus tentang murid-murid-Nya dan tentang ajaran-Nya.
18:20 Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
20 Jawab Yesus kepadanya: "Aku berbicara terus terang kepada dunia: Aku selalu mengajar di rumah-rumah ibadat dan di Bait Allah, tempat semua orang Yahudi berkumpul; Aku tidak pernah berbicara sembunyi-sembunyi.
18:21 Why ask you me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
21 Mengapakah engkau menanyai Aku? Tanyailah mereka, yang telah mendengar apa yang Kukatakan kepada mereka; sungguh, mereka tahu apa yang telah Kukatakan."
18:22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answer you the high priest so?
22 Ketika Ia mengatakan hal itu, seorang penjaga yang berdiri di situ, menampar muka-Nya sambil berkata: "Begitukah jawab-Mu kepada Imam Besar?"
18:23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smite you me?
23 Jawab Yesus kepadanya: "Jikalau kata-Ku itu salah, tunjukkanlah salahnya, tetapi jikalau kata-Ku itu benar, mengapakah engkau menampar Aku?"
18:24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.
24 Maka Hanas mengirim Dia terbelenggu kepada Kayafas, Imam Besar itu.
18:25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Are not you also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
25 Simon Petrus masih berdiri berdiang. Kata orang-orang di situ kepadanya: "Bukankah engkau juga seorang murid-Nya?"
18:26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, says, Did not I see you in the garden with him?
26 Ia menyangkalnya, katanya: "Bukan." Kata seorang hamba Imam Besar, seorang keluarga dari hamba yang telinganya dipotong Petrus: "Bukankah engkau kulihat di taman itu bersama-sama dengan Dia?"
18:27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
27 Maka Petrus menyangkalnya pula dan ketika itu berkokoklah ayam.
18:28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
28 Maka mereka membawa Yesus dari Kayafas ke gedung pengadilan. Ketika itu hari masih pagi. Mereka sendiri tidak masuk ke gedung pengadilan itu, supaya jangan menajiskan diri, sebab mereka hendak makan Paskah.
18:29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring all of you against this man?
29 Sebab itu Pilatus keluar mendapatkan mereka dan berkata: "Apakah tuduhan kamu terhadap orang ini?"
18:30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a villain, we would not have delivered him up unto you.
30 Jawab mereka kepadanya: "Jikalau Ia bukan seorang penjahat, kami tidak menyerahkan-Nya kepadamu!"
18:31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take all of you him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
31 Kata Pilatus kepada mereka: "Ambillah Dia dan hakimilah Dia menurut hukum Tauratmu." Kata orang-orang Yahudi itu: "Kami tidak diperbolehkan membunuh seseorang."
18:32 That the saying (o. logos) of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.
32 Demikian hendaknya supaya genaplah firman Yesus, yang dikatakan-Nya untuk menyatakan bagaimana caranya Ia akan mati.
18:33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Are you the King of the Jews?
33 Maka kembalilah Pilatus ke dalam gedung pengadilan, lalu memanggil Yesus dan bertanya kepada-Nya: "Engkau inikah raja orang Yahudi?"
18:34 Jesus answered him, Says you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?
34 Jawab Yesus: "Apakah engkau katakan hal itu dari hatimu sendiri, atau adakah orang lain yang mengatakannya kepadamu tentang Aku?"
18:35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Yours own nation and the chief priests have delivered you unto me: what have you done?
35 Kata Pilatus: "Apakah aku seorang Yahudi? Bangsa-Mu sendiri dan imam-imam kepala yang telah menyerahkan Engkau kepadaku; apakah yang telah Engkau perbuat?"
18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from behind.
36 Jawab Yesus: "Kerajaan-Ku bukan dari dunia ini; jika Kerajaan-Ku dari dunia ini, pasti hamba-hamba-Ku telah melawan, supaya Aku jangan diserahkan kepada orang Yahudi, akan tetapi Kerajaan-Ku bukan dari sini."
18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You says that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.
37 Maka kata Pilatus kepada-Nya: "Jadi Engkau adalah raja?" Jawab Yesus: "Engkau mengatakan, bahwa Aku adalah raja. Untuk itulah Aku lahir dan untuk itulah Aku datang ke dalam dunia ini, supaya Aku memberi kesaksian tentang kebenaran; setiap orang yang berasal dari kebenaran mendengarkan suara-Ku."
18:38 Pilate says unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and says unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
38 Kata Pilatus kepada-Nya: "Apakah kebenaran itu?" (18-38b) Sesudah mengatakan demikian, keluarlah Pilatus lagi mendapatkan orang-orang Yahudi dan berkata kepada mereka: "Aku tidak mendapati kesalahan apapun pada-Nya.
18:39 But all of you have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will all of you therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
39 Tetapi pada kamu ada kebiasaan, bahwa pada Paskah aku membebaskan seorang bagimu. Maukah kamu, supaya aku membebaskan raja orang Yahudi bagimu?"
18:40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
40 Mereka berteriak pula: "Jangan Dia, melainkan Barabas!" Barabas adalah seorang penyamun.
19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
1 Lalu Pilatus mengambil Yesus dan menyuruh orang menyesah Dia.
19:2 And the soldiers intertwined a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
2 Prajurit-prajurit menganyam sebuah mahkota duri dan menaruhnya di atas kepala-Nya. Mereka memakaikan Dia jubah ungu,
19:3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they stroke him with their hands.
3 dan sambil maju ke depan mereka berkata: "Salam, hai raja orang Yahudi!" Lalu mereka menampar muka-Nya.
19:4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and says unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that all of you may know that I find no fault in him.
4 Pilatus keluar lagi dan berkata kepada mereka: "Lihatlah, aku membawa Dia ke luar kepada kamu, supaya kamu tahu, bahwa aku tidak mendapati kesalahan apapun pada-Nya."
19:5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate says unto them, Behold the man!
5 Lalu Yesus keluar, bermahkota duri dan berjubah ungu. Maka kata Pilatus kepada mereka: "Lihatlah manusia itu!"
19:6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Take all of you him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
6 Ketika imam-imam kepala dan penjaga-penjaga itu melihat Dia, berteriaklah mereka: "Salibkan Dia, salibkan Dia!" Kata Pilatus kepada mereka: "Ambil Dia dan salibkan Dia; sebab aku tidak mendapati kesalahan apapun pada-Nya."
19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
7 Jawab orang-orang Yahudi itu kepadanya: "Kami mempunyai hukum dan menurut hukum itu Ia harus mati, sebab Ia menganggap diri-Nya sebagai Anak Allah."
19:8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, (o. logos) he was the more afraid;
8 Ketika Pilatus mendengar perkataan itu bertambah takutlah ia,
19:9 And went again into the judgment hall, and says unto Jesus, Whence are you? But Jesus gave him no answer.
9 lalu ia masuk pula ke dalam gedung pengadilan dan berkata kepada Yesus: "Dari manakah asal-Mu?" Tetapi Yesus tidak memberi jawab kepadanya.
19:10 Then says Pilate unto him, Speak you not unto me? know you not that I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?
10 Maka kata Pilatus kepada-Nya: "Tidakkah Engkau mau bicara dengan aku? Tidakkah Engkau tahu, bahwa aku berkuasa untuk membebaskan Engkau, dan berkuasa juga untuk menyalibkan Engkau?"
19:11 Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me unto you has the greater sin.
11 Yesus menjawab: "Engkau tidak mempunyai kuasa apapun terhadap Aku, jikalau kuasa itu tidak diberikan kepadamu dari atas. Sebab itu: dia, yang menyerahkan Aku kepadamu, lebih besar dosanya."
19:12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend: whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.
12 Sejak itu Pilatus berusaha untuk membebaskan Dia, tetapi orang-orang Yahudi berteriak: "Jikalau engkau membebaskan Dia, engkau bukanlah sahabat Kaisar. Setiap orang yang menganggap dirinya sebagai raja, ia melawan Kaisar."
19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, (o. logos) he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
13 Ketika Pilatus mendengar perkataan itu, ia menyuruh membawa Yesus ke luar, dan ia duduk di kursi pengadilan, di tempat yang bernama Litostrotos, dalam bahasa Ibrani Gabata.
19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he says unto the Jews, Behold your King!
14 Hari itu ialah hari persiapan Paskah, kira-kira jam dua belas. Kata Pilatus kepada orang-orang Yahudi itu: "Inilah rajamu!"
19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
15 Maka berteriaklah mereka: "Enyahkan Dia! Enyahkan Dia! Salibkan Dia!" Kata Pilatus kepada mereka: "Haruskah aku menyalibkan rajamu?" Jawab imam-imam kepala: "Kami tidak mempunyai raja selain dari pada Kaisar!"
19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
16 Akhirnya Pilatus menyerahkan Yesus kepada mereka untuk disalibkan. (19-16b) Mereka menerima Yesus.
19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
17 Sambil memikul salib-Nya Ia pergi ke luar ke tempat yang bernama Tempat Tengkorak, dalam bahasa Ibrani: Golgota.
19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
18 Dan di situ Ia disalibkan mereka dan bersama-sama dengan Dia disalibkan juga dua orang lain, sebelah-menyebelah, Yesus di tengah-tengah.
19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
19 Dan Pilatus menyuruh memasang juga tulisan di atas kayu salib itu, bunyinya: "Yesus, orang Nazaret, Raja orang Yahudi."
19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
20 Banyak orang Yahudi yang membaca tulisan itu, sebab tempat di mana Yesus disalibkan letaknya dekat kota dan kata-kata itu tertulis dalam bahasa Ibrani, bahasa Latin dan bahasa Yunani.
19:21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
21 Maka kata imam-imam kepala orang Yahudi kepada Pilatus: "Jangan engkau menulis: Raja orang Yahudi, tetapi bahwa Ia mengatakan: Aku adalah Raja orang Yahudi."
19:22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
22 Jawab Pilatus: "Apa yang kutulis, tetap tertulis."
19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
23 Sesudah prajurit-prajurit itu menyalibkan Yesus, mereka mengambil pakaian-Nya lalu membaginya menjadi empat bagian untuk tiap-tiap prajurit satu bagian--dan jubah-Nya juga mereka ambil. Jubah itu tidak berjahit, dari atas ke bawah hanya satu tenunan saja.
19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
24 Karena itu mereka berkata seorang kepada yang lain: "Janganlah kita membaginya menjadi beberapa potong, tetapi baiklah kita membuang undi untuk menentukan siapa yang mendapatnya." Demikianlah hendaknya supaya genaplah yang ada tertulis dalam Kitab Suci: "Mereka membagi-bagi pakaian-Ku di antara mereka dan mereka membuang undi atas jubah-Ku." Hal itu telah dilakukan prajurit-prajurit itu.
19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
25 Dan dekat salib Yesus berdiri ibu-Nya dan saudara ibu-Nya, Maria, isteri Klopas dan Maria Magdalena.
19:26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he says unto his mother, Woman, behold your son!
26 Ketika Yesus melihat ibu-Nya dan murid yang dikasihi-Nya di sampingnya, berkatalah Ia kepada ibu-Nya: "Ibu, inilah, anakmu!"
19:27 Then says he to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
27 Kemudian kata-Nya kepada murid-murid-Nya: "Inilah ibumu!" Dan sejak saat itu murid itu menerima dia di dalam rumahnya.
19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, says, I thirst.
28 Sesudah itu, karena Yesus tahu, bahwa segala sesuatu telah selesai, berkatalah Ia--supaya genaplah yang ada tertulis dalam Kitab Suci--:"Aku haus!"
19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
29 Di situ ada suatu bekas penuh anggur asam. Maka mereka mencucukkan bunga karang, yang telah dicelupkan dalam anggur asam, pada sebatang hisop lalu mengunjukkannya ke mulut Yesus.
19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit. (o. pneuma)
30 Sesudah Yesus meminum anggur asam itu, berkatalah Ia: "Sudah selesai." Lalu Ia menundukkan kepala-Nya dan menyerahkan nyawa-Nya.
19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
31 Karena hari itu hari persiapan dan supaya pada hari Sabat mayat-mayat itu tidak tinggal tergantung pada kayu salib--sebab Sabat itu adalah hari yang besar--maka datanglah orang-orang Yahudi kepada Pilatus dan meminta kepadanya supaya kaki orang-orang itu dipatahkan dan mayat-mayatnya diturunkan.
19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
32 Maka datanglah prajurit-prajurit lalu mematahkan kaki orang yang pertama dan kaki orang yang lain yang disalibkan bersama-sama dengan Yesus;
19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
33 tetapi ketika mereka sampai kepada Yesus dan melihat bahwa Ia telah mati, mereka tidak mematahkan kaki-Nya,
19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
34 tetapi seorang dari antara prajurit itu menikam lambung-Nya dengan tombak, dan segera mengalir keluar darah dan air.
19:35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he says true, that all of you might believe.
35 Dan orang yang melihat hal itu sendiri yang memberikan kesaksian ini dan kesaksiannya benar, dan ia tahu, bahwa ia mengatakan kebenaran, supaya kamu juga percaya.
19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
36 Sebab hal itu terjadi, supaya genaplah yang tertulis dalam Kitab Suci: "Tidak ada tulang-Nya yang akan dipatahkan."
19:37 And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
37 Dan ada pula nas yang mengatakan: "Mereka akan memandang kepada Dia yang telah mereka tikam."
19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
38 Sesudah itu Yusuf dari Arimatea--ia murid Yesus, tetapi sembunyi-sembunyi karena takut kepada orang-orang Yahudi--meminta kepada Pilatus, supaya ia diperbolehkan menurunkan mayat Yesus. Dan Pilatus meluluskan permintaannya itu. Lalu datanglah ia dan menurunkan mayat itu.
19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
39 Juga Nikodemus datang ke situ. Dialah yang mula-mula datang waktu malam kepada Yesus. Ia membawa campuran minyak mur dengan minyak gaharu, kira-kira lima puluh kati beratnya.
19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
40 Mereka mengambil mayat Yesus, mengapaninya dengan kain lenan dan membubuhinya dengan rempah-rempah menurut adat orang Yahudi bila menguburkan mayat.
19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new tomb, wherein was never man yet laid.
41 Dekat tempat di mana Yesus disalibkan ada suatu taman dan dalam taman itu ada suatu kubur baru yang di dalamnya belum pernah dimakamkan seseorang.
19:42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the tomb was nigh at hand.
42 Karena hari itu hari persiapan orang Yahudi, sedang kubur itu tidak jauh letaknya, maka mereka meletakkan mayat Yesus ke situ.
20:1 The first day of the week comes Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb.
1 Pada hari pertama minggu itu, pagi-pagi benar ketika hari masih gelap, pergilah Maria Magdalena ke kubur itu dan ia melihat bahwa batu telah diambil dari kubur.
20:2 Then she runs, and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and says unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.
2 Ia berlari-lari mendapatkan Simon Petrus dan murid yang lain yang dikasihi Yesus, dan berkata kepada mereka: "Tuhan telah diambil orang dari kuburnya dan kami tidak tahu di mana Ia diletakkan."
20:3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the tomb.
3 Maka berangkatlah Petrus dan murid yang lain itu ke kubur.
20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the tomb.
4 Keduanya berlari bersama-sama, tetapi murid yang lain itu berlari lebih cepat dari pada Petrus sehingga lebih dahulu sampai di kubur.
20:5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
5 Ia menjenguk ke dalam, dan melihat kain kapan terletak di tanah; akan tetapi ia tidak masuk ke dalam.
20:6 Then comes Simon Peter following him, and went into the tomb, and sees the linen clothes lie,
6 Maka datanglah Simon Petrus juga menyusul dia dan masuk ke dalam kubur itu. Ia melihat kain kapan terletak di tanah,
20:7 And the cloth, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
7 sedang kain peluh yang tadinya ada di kepala Yesus tidak terletak dekat kain kapan itu, tetapi agak di samping di tempat yang lain dan sudah tergulung.
20:8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the tomb, and he saw, and believed.
8 Maka masuklah juga murid yang lain, yang lebih dahulu sampai di kubur itu dan ia melihatnya dan percaya.
20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
9 Sebab selama itu mereka belum mengerti isi Kitab Suci yang mengatakan, bahwa Ia harus bangkit dari antara orang mati.
20:10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
10 Lalu pulanglah kedua murid itu ke rumah.
20:11 But Mary stood without at the tomb weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the tomb,
11 Tetapi Maria berdiri dekat kubur itu dan menangis. Sambil menangis ia menjenguk ke dalam kubur itu,
20:12 And sees two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
12 dan tampaklah olehnya dua orang malaikat berpakaian putih, yang seorang duduk di sebelah kepala dan yang lain di sebelah kaki di tempat mayat Yesus terbaring.
20:13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weep you? She says unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.
13 Kata malaikat-malaikat itu kepadanya: "Ibu, mengapa engkau menangis?" Jawab Maria kepada mereka: "Tuhanku telah diambil orang dan aku tidak tahu di mana Ia diletakkan."
20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
14 Sesudah berkata demikian ia menoleh ke belakang dan melihat Yesus berdiri di situ, tetapi ia tidak tahu, bahwa itu adalah Yesus.
20:15 Jesus says unto her, Woman, why weep you? whom seek you? She, supposing him to be the gardener, says unto him, Sir, if you have borne him behind, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.
15 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Ibu, mengapa engkau menangis? Siapakah yang engkau cari?" Maria menyangka orang itu adalah penunggu taman, lalu berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuan, jikalau tuan yang mengambil Dia, katakanlah kepadaku, di mana tuan meletakkan Dia, supaya aku dapat mengambil-Nya."
20:16 Jesus says unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and says unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
16 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Maria!" Maria berpaling dan berkata kepada-Nya dalam bahasa Ibrani: "Rabuni!", artinya Guru.
20:17 Jesus says unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
17 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Janganlah engkau memegang Aku, sebab Aku belum pergi kepada Bapa, tetapi pergilah kepada saudara-saudara-Ku dan katakanlah kepada mereka, bahwa sekarang Aku akan pergi kepada Bapa-Ku dan Bapamu, kepada Allah-Ku dan Allahmu."
20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
18 Maria Magdalena pergi dan berkata kepada murid-murid: "Aku telah melihat Tuhan!" dan juga bahwa Dia yang mengatakan hal-hal itu kepadanya.
20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and says unto them, Peace be unto you.
19 Ketika hari sudah malam pada hari pertama minggu itu berkumpullah murid-murid Yesus di suatu tempat dengan pintu-pintu yang terkunci karena mereka takut kepada orang-orang Yahudi. Pada waktu itu datanglah Yesus dan berdiri di tengah-tengah mereka dan berkata: "Damai sejahtera bagi kamu!"
20:20 And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.
20 Dan sesudah berkata demikian, Ia menunjukkan tangan-Nya dan lambung-Nya kepada mereka. Murid-murid itu bersukacita ketika mereka melihat Tuhan.
20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.
21 Maka kata Yesus sekali lagi: "Damai sejahtera bagi kamu! Sama seperti Bapa mengutus Aku, demikian juga sekarang Aku mengutus kamu."
20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and says unto them, Receive all of you the Holy Spirit: (o. pneuma)
22 Dan sesudah berkata demikian, Ia mengembusi mereka dan berkata: "Terimalah Roh Kudus.
20:23 Whomsoever sins all of you remit, they are remitted unto them; and whomsoever sins all of you retain, they are retained.
23 Jikalau kamu mengampuni dosa orang, dosanya diampuni, dan jikalau kamu menyatakan dosa orang tetap ada, dosanya tetap ada."
20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
24 Tetapi Tomas, seorang dari kedua belas murid itu, yang disebut Didimus, tidak ada bersama-sama mereka, ketika Yesus datang ke situ.
20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
25 Maka kata murid-murid yang lain itu kepadanya: "Kami telah melihat Tuhan!" Tetapi Tomas berkata kepada mereka: "Sebelum aku melihat bekas paku pada tangan-Nya dan sebelum aku mencucukkan jariku ke dalam bekas paku itu dan mencucukkan tanganku ke dalam lambung-Nya, sekali-kali aku tidak akan percaya."
20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
26 Delapan hari kemudian murid-murid Yesus berada kembali dalam rumah itu dan Tomas bersama-sama dengan mereka. Sementara pintu-pintu terkunci, Yesus datang dan Ia berdiri di tengah-tengah mereka dan berkata: "Damai sejahtera bagi kamu!"
20:27 Then says he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
27 Kemudian Ia berkata kepada Tomas: "Taruhlah jarimu di sini dan lihatlah tangan-Ku, ulurkanlah tanganmu dan cucukkan ke dalam lambung-Ku dan jangan engkau tidak percaya lagi, melainkan percayalah."
20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
28 Tomas menjawab Dia: "Ya Tuhanku dan Allahku!"
20:29 Jesus says unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
29 Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Karena engkau telah melihat Aku, maka engkau percaya. Berbahagialah mereka yang tidak melihat, namun percaya."
20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
30 Memang masih banyak tanda lain yang dibuat Yesus di depan mata murid-murid-Nya, yang tidak tercatat dalam kitab ini,
20:31 But these are written, that all of you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing all of you might have life through his name.
31 tetapi semua yang tercantum di sini telah dicatat, supaya kamu percaya, bahwa Yesuslah Mesias, Anak Allah, dan supaya kamu oleh imanmu memperoleh hidup dalam nama-Nya.
21:1 After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and likewise showed he himself.
1 Kemudian Yesus menampakkan diri lagi kepada murid-murid-Nya di pantai danau Tiberias dan Ia menampakkan diri sebagai berikut.
21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
2 Di pantai itu berkumpul Simon Petrus, Tomas yang disebut Didimus, Natanael dari Kana yang di Galilea, anak-anak Zebedeus dan dua orang murid-Nya yang lain.
21:3 Simon Peter says unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with you. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
3 Kata Simon Petrus kepada mereka: "Aku pergi menangkap ikan." Kata mereka kepadanya: "Kami pergi juga dengan engkau." Mereka berangkat lalu naik ke perahu, tetapi malam itu mereka tidak menangkap apa-apa.
21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
4 Ketika hari mulai siang, Yesus berdiri di pantai; akan tetapi murid-murid itu tidak tahu, bahwa itu adalah Yesus.
21:5 Then Jesus says unto them, Children, have all of you any food? They answered him, No.
5 Kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Hai anak-anak, adakah kamu mempunyai lauk-pauk?" Jawab mereka: "Tidak ada."
21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and all of you shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
6 Maka kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Tebarkanlah jalamu di sebelah kanan perahu, maka akan kamu peroleh." Lalu mereka menebarkannya dan mereka tidak dapat menariknya lagi karena banyaknya ikan.
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved says unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
7 Maka murid yang dikasihi Yesus itu berkata kepada Petrus: "Itu Tuhan." Ketika Petrus mendengar, bahwa itu adalah Tuhan, maka ia mengenakan pakaiannya, sebab ia tidak berpakaian, lalu terjun ke dalam danau.
21:8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
8 Murid-murid yang lain datang dengan perahu karena mereka tidak jauh dari darat, hanya kira-kira dua ratus hasta saja dan mereka menghela jala yang penuh ikan itu.
21:9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
9 Ketika mereka tiba di darat, mereka melihat api arang dan di atasnya ikan dan roti.
21:10 Jesus says unto them, Bring of the fish which all of you have now caught.
10 Kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Bawalah beberapa ikan, yang baru kamu tangkap itu."
21:11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
11 Simon Petrus naik ke perahu lalu menghela jala itu ke darat, penuh ikan-ikan besar: seratus lima puluh tiga ekor banyaknya, dan sungguhpun sebanyak itu, jala itu tidak koyak.
21:12 Jesus says unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the Lord.
12 Kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Marilah dan sarapanlah." Tidak ada di antara murid-murid itu yang berani bertanya kepada-Nya: "Siapakah Engkau?" Sebab mereka tahu, bahwa Ia adalah Tuhan.
21:13 Jesus then comes, and takes bread, and gives them, and fish likewise.
13 Yesus maju ke depan, mengambil roti dan memberikannya kepada mereka, demikian juga ikan itu.
21:14 This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
14 Itulah ketiga kalinya Yesus menampakkan diri kepada murid-murid-Nya sesudah Ia bangkit dari antara orang mati.
21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me more than these? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my lambs.
15 Sesudah sarapan Yesus berkata kepada Simon Petrus: "Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku lebih dari pada mereka ini?" Jawab Petrus kepada-Nya: "Benar Tuhan, Engkau tahu, bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau." Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-Ku."
21:16 He says to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my sheep.
16 Kata Yesus pula kepadanya untuk kedua kalinya: "Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku?" Jawab Petrus kepada-Nya: "Benar Tuhan, Engkau tahu, bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau." Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-Ku."
21:17 He says unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Love you me? And he said unto him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus says unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 Kata Yesus kepadanya untuk ketiga kalinya: "Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku?" Maka sedih hati Petrus karena Yesus berkata untuk ketiga kalinya: "Apakah engkau mengasihi Aku?" Dan ia berkata kepada-Nya: "Tuhan, Engkau tahu segala sesuatu, Engkau tahu, bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau." Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-Ku.
21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto you, When you were young, you gird yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry you where you would not.
18 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya ketika engkau masih muda engkau mengikat pinggangmu sendiri dan engkau berjalan ke mana saja kaukehendaki, tetapi jika engkau sudah menjadi tua, engkau akan mengulurkan tanganmu dan orang lain akan mengikat engkau dan membawa engkau ke tempat yang tidak kaukehendaki."
21:19 This spoke he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he says unto him, Follow me.
19 Dan hal ini dikatakan-Nya untuk menyatakan bagaimana Petrus akan mati dan memuliakan Allah. Sesudah mengatakan demikian Ia berkata kepada Petrus: "Ikutlah Aku."
21:20 Then Peter, turning about, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrays you?
20 Ketika Petrus berpaling, ia melihat bahwa murid yang dikasihi Yesus sedang mengikuti mereka, yaitu murid yang pada waktu mereka sedang makan bersama duduk dekat Yesus dan yang berkata: "Tuhan, siapakah dia yang akan menyerahkan Engkau?"
21:21 Peter seeing him says to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
21 Ketika Petrus melihat murid itu, ia berkata kepada Yesus: "Tuhan, apakah yang akan terjadi dengan dia ini?"
21:22 Jesus says unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? follow you me.
22 Jawab Yesus: "Jikalau Aku menghendaki, supaya ia tinggal hidup sampai Aku datang, itu bukan urusanmu. Tetapi engkau: ikutlah Aku."
21:23 Then went this saying (o. logos) abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you?
23 Maka tersebarlah kabar di antara saudara-saudara itu, bahwa murid itu tidak akan mati. Tetapi Yesus tidak mengatakan kepada Petrus, bahwa murid itu tidak akan mati, melainkan: "Jikalau Aku menghendaki supaya ia tinggal hidup sampai Aku datang, itu bukan urusanmu."
21:24 This is the disciple which testifies of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
24 Dialah murid, yang memberi kesaksian tentang semuanya ini dan yang telah menuliskannya dan kita tahu, bahwa kesaksiannya itu benar.
21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
25 Masih banyak hal-hal lain lagi yang diperbuat oleh Yesus, tetapi jikalau semuanya itu harus dituliskan satu per satu, maka agaknya dunia ini tidak dapat memuat semua kitab yang harus ditulis itu.
