Chapter 1

Jude / ユダの手紙

1:1 イエス・キリストの僕またヤコブの兄弟であるユダから、父なる神に会いされ、イエス・キリストに守られている召された人々へ。

1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

1:2 あわれみと平安と愛とが、あなたがたに豊かに加わるように。

1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, (o. agape) be multiplied.

1:3 愛する者たちよ。わたしたちが共にあずかっている救について、あなたがたに書きおくりたいと心から願っていたので、聖徒たちによって、ひとたび伝えられた信仰ために戦うことを勧めるように、手紙を書きおくる必要を感じるに至った。

1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write unto you, and exhort you that all of you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

1:4 そのわけは、不信仰な人々が忍び込んできて、わたしたちの神の恵みを放縦な生活に変え、唯一の君であり、わたしたちの主であるイエス・キリストを否定しているからである。彼らは、このようなさばきを受けることに、昔から予告されているのである。

1:4 For there are certain men crept in unexpectedly, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

1:5 あなたがたはみな、じゅうぶんに知っていることではあるが、主が民をエジプトの地から救い出してのち、不信仰な者を滅ぼされたことを、思い起こしてもらいたい。

1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though all of you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

1:6 主は、自分たちの地位を守ろうとはせず、そのおそるべき所を捨て去った御使たちを、大いなる日のさばきのために、永久にしばりつけたまま、暗やみの中に閉じ込めておかれた。

1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

1:7 ソドム、ゴモラも、まわりの町々も、同様であって、同じように淫行にふけり、不自然な肉欲に走ったので、永遠の火の刑罰を受け、人々の見せしめにされている。

1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

1:8 しかし、これと同じように、これらの人人は、夢に迷わされて肉を汚し、権威ある者たちを軽んじ、栄光ある者たちをそしっている。

1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

1:9 御使のかしらミカエルは、モーセの死体について悪魔と論じ争った時、相手をののしりさばくことはあえてせず、ただ、「主がおまえを戒めて下さるように」と言っただけであった。

1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.

1:10 しかし、この人々は自分が知りもしないことをそしり、また、分別のない動物のように、ただ本能的な知識にあやまられて、自らの滅亡を招いている。

1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

1:11 彼らはわざわいである。彼らはカインの道を行き、利のためにバラムの惑わしに迷い入り、コラのような反逆をして滅んでしまうのである。

1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

1:12 彼らは、あなたがたの愛餐に加わるが、それを汚し、無遠慮に宴会に同席して、自分の腹を肥やしている。彼らは、いわば、風に吹きまわされる水なき雲、実らない枯れ果てて、抜き捨てられた秋の木、

1:12 These are spots in your feasts of love, (o. agape) when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

1:13 自分の恥をあらわにして出す海の荒波、さまよう星である。彼らには、まっくらなやみが永久に用意されている。

1:13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

1:14 アダムから七代目にあたるエノクも彼らについて預言して言った、「見よ、主は無数の聖徒たちを率いてこられた。

1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints,

1:15 それは、すべての者にさばきを行うためであり、また、不信仰な者が、信仰を無視して犯したすべての不信仰なしわざと、さらに、不信心な罪人が主にそむいて語ったすべての暴言とを責めるためである」。

1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

1:16 彼らは不平をならべ、不満を鳴らす者であり、自分の欲のままに生活し、その口は大言を吐き、利のために人にへつらう者である。

1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

1:17 愛する者たちよ。わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの使途たちが予告した言葉を思い出しなさい。

1:17 But, beloved, remember all of you the words (o. rhema) which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

1:18 彼らはあなたがたにこう言った、「終わりの時に、あざける者たちがあらわれて、自分の不信心な欲のままに生活するであろう」。

1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

1:19 彼らは分派をつくる者、肉に属する者、御霊を持たない者たちである。

1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. (o. pneuma)

1:20 しかし、愛する者たちよ。あなたがたは、もっとも神聖な信仰の上に自らを築き上げ、聖霊によって祈り、

1:20 But all of you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma)

1:21 神の愛の中に自らを保ち永遠のいのちを目あてとして、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストのあわれみを待ち望みなさい。

1:21 Keep yourselves in the love (o. agape) of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

1:22 疑いをいだく人々があれば、彼らをあわれみ、

1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

1:23 火の中から引き出して救ってやりなさい。また、そのほかの人たちを、おそれの心をもってあわれみなさい。しかし、肉に汚れた者に対しては、その下着さえも忌みきらいなさい。

1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

1:24 あなたがたを守ってつまずかない者とし、また、その栄光の前に傷なき者として、喜びのうちに立てさせて下さるかた、

1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

1:25 すなわち、わたしたちの救主なる唯一の神に、栄光、大能、力、権威が、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストによって、世々の初めにも、今も、また、世々限りなく、あるように、アァメン。

1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
