11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

11:1 Vaû, caû thieân haï ñeàu coù moät gioïng noùi vaø moät thöù tieáng.

11:2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

11:2 Nhöng khi ôû Ñoâng phöông dôøi ñi, ngöôøi ta gaëp moät ñoàng baèng trong xöù Si-neâ -a, roài ôû taïi ñoù.

11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and bitumen had they for mortar.

11:3 Ngöôøi naày noùi vôùi ngöôøi kia raèng: Heø! chuùng ta haõy laøm gaïch vaø haàm trong löûa. Luùc ñoù, gaïch theá cho ñaù, coøn chai theá cho hoà.

11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

11:4 Laïi noùi raèng: Naøo! chuùng ta haõy xaây moät caùi thaønh vaø döïng leân moät caùi thaùp, choùt cao ñeán taän trôøi; ta haõy lo laøm cho raïng danh, e khi phaûi taûn laïc khaép treân maët ñaát.

11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

11:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Naày, chæ coù moät thöù daân, cuøng ñoàng moät thöù tieáng; vaø kia kìa coâng vieäc chuùng noù ñöông khôûi laøm; baây giôø chaúng coøn chi ngaên chuùng noù laøm caùc ñieàu ñaõ quyeát ñònh ñöôïc.

11:25 And Nahor lived after he brings forth Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and brings forth sons and daughters.

16:5 Sa-rai noùi cuøng Aùp-ram raèng: Ñieàu sæ nhuïc maø toâi bò ñaây ñoå laïi treân oâng. Toâi ñaõ phuù con ñoøi toâi vaøo loøng oâng, maø töø khi noù thaáy mình thoï thai, thì laïi khinh toâi. Caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va xeùt ñoaùn giöõa toâi vôùi oâng.

16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael; because the LORD has heard your affliction.

16:11 Laïi phaùn raèng: Naày, ngöôi ñöông coù thai, seõ sanh moät trai, ñaët teân laø Ích-ma-eân; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù nghe söï saàu khoå cuûa ngöôi.

18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

18:2 Aùp-ra-ham nhöôùng maét leân, thaáy ba ngöôøi ñöùng tröôùc maët. Vöøa khi thaáy, beøn baét töø cöûa traïi chaïy ñeán tröôùc maët ba ngöôøi ñoù, saáp mình xuoáng ñaát,

18:3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in your sight, pass not away, I pray you, from your servant:

18:3 vaø thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, neáu toâi ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët Chuùa, xin haõy gheù laïi nhaø keû toâi tôù Chuùa, ñöøng boû ñi luoân.

18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

18:4 Xin caùc ñaáng haõy cho pheùp ngöôøi ta laáy chuùt nöôùc röûa chôn caùc ñaáng, vaø xin haõy naèm nghæ maùt döôùi coäi caây naày.

18:5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort all of you your hearts; after that all of you shall pass on: for therefore are all of you come to your servant. And they said, So do, as you have said.

18:5 Toâi seõ ñi ñem moät mieáng baùnh cho caùc ñaáng aên vöõng loøng, roài seõ dôøi goùt leân ñöôøng; vì côù aáy, neân môùi quaù boä laïi nhaø keû toâi tôù caùc ñaáng vaäy. Caùc ñaáng phaùn raèng: Haõy cöù vieäc laøm nhö ngöôi ñaõ noùi.

18:6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

18:6 Ñoaïn, Aùp-ra-ham laät ñaät vaøo traïi ñeán cuøng Sa-ra maø raèng: Haõy mau mau laáy ba ñaáu boät loïc nhoài ñi, roài laøm baùnh nhoû.

18:7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

18:7 Aùp-ra-ham beøn chaïy laïi baày, baét moät con boø con ngon, giao cho ñaày tôù mau mau naáu doïn;

18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah your wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

18:9 Caùc ñaáng hoûi Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Sa-ra, vôï ngöôi, ôû ñaâu? Ñaùp raèng: Kìa, naøng ôû trong traïi kia.

18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto you according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah your wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

18:15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but you did laugh.

18:15 Vì Sa-ra sôï, neân choái maø thöa raèng: Toâi coù cöôøi ñaâu! Nhöng Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Thaät ngöôi coù cöôøi ñoù!

18:16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Will you also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

18:23 Aùp-ra-ham laïi gaàn vaø thöa raèng: Chuùa seõ dieät ngöôøi coâng bình luoân vôùi ngöôøi ñoäc aùc sao?

18:24 Possibly there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

18:24 Ngoä trong thaønh coù naêm möôi ngöôøi coâng bình, Chuùa cuõng seõ dieät hoï heát sao? Haù chaúng tha thöù cho thaønh ñoù vì côù naêm möôi ngöôøi coâng bình ôû trong sao?

18:25 That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

18:25 Khoâng leõ naøo Chuùa laøm ñieàu nhö vaäy, dieät ngöôøi coâng bình luoân vôùi keû ñoäc aùc; ñeán ñoãi keå ngöôøi coâng bình cuõng nhö ngöôøi ñoäc aùc. Khoâng, Chuùa chaúng laøm ñieàu nhö vaäy bao giôø! Ñaáng ñoaùn xeùt toaøn theá gian, haù laïi khoâng laøm söï coâng bình sao?

18:26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

18:26 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Neáu ta tìm ñöôïc trong Soâ-ñoâm naêm möôi ngöôøi coâng bình, vì tình thöông baáy nhieâu ngöôøi ñoù ta seõ tha heát caû thaønh.

18:27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

18:27 Aùp-ra-ham laïi thöa raèng: maëc daàu toâi ñaây voán laø tro buïi, song toâi cuõng daùm caû gan thöa laïi cuøng Chuùa.

18:28 Possibly there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: will you destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

18:28 Haõy trong naêm möôi ngöôøi coâng bình ruûi thieáu heát naêm; vì côù naêm ngöôøi thieáu Chuùa seõ dieät heát caû thaønh chaêng? Ngaøi traû lôøi raèng: Neáu ta tìm ñöôïc coù boán möôi laêm ngöôøi, ta chaúng dieät thaønh ñaâu.

18:29 And he spoke unto him yet again, and said, Possibly there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

18:30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Possibly there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

18:31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Possibly there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

18:31 Aùp-ra-ham thöa raèng: Toâi ñaây cuõng caû gan thöa cuøng Chuùa: Neáu chæ coù hai möôi ngöôøi, thì laïi laøm sao? Ngaøi raèng: Vì tình thöông hai möôi ngöôøi ñoù, ta seõ chaúng dieät thaønh ñaâu.

18:32 And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Possibly ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

18:32 Aùp-ra-ham laïi thöa: Xin Chuùa ñöøng giaän, ñeå cho toâi thöa chæ moät laàn naày nöõa: Ngoä chæ coù möôøi ngöôøi, thì nghó laøm sao? Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Ta cuõng seõ chaúng dieät thaønh ñaâu, vì tình thöông möôøi ngöôøi ñoù.

18:33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

18:33 Khi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn xong cuøng Aùp-ra-ham, thì Ngaøi ngöï ñi; coøn Aùp-ra-ham trôû veà traïi mình.

 Sang the ky - GENESIS

19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

19:1 Loái chieàu, hai thieân söù ñeán Soâ-ñoâm; luùc ñoù, Loùt ñöông ngoài taïi cöûa thaønh. Khi Loùt thaáy hai thieân söù ñeán, ñöùng daäy maø ñoùn röôùc vaø saáp mình xuoáng ñaát.

19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and all of you shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

19:2 Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Naày, laïy hai chuùa, xin haõy ñeán ôû nhaø cuûa keû toâi tôù, vaø haõy nghæ ñeâm taïi ñoù. Hai chuùa haõy röûa chôn, roài saùng mai thöùc daäy leân ñöôøng. Hai thieân söù phaùn raèng: Khoâng, ñeâm naày ta seõ ôû ngoaøi ñöôøng.

19:3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

19:3 Nhöng Loùt coá môøi cho ñeán ñoãi hai thieân söù phaûi ñi laïi vaøo nhaø mình. Ngöôøi daâng moät böõa tieäc, laøm baùnh khoâng men, vaø hai thieân söù beøn duøng tieäc.

19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

19:4 Hai thieân söù chöa ñi naèm, maø caùc ngöôøi nam ôû Soâ-ñoâm, töø treû ñeán giaø, töùc caû daân, ñeàu chaïy ñeán bao chung quanh nhaø.

19:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to you this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

19:6 Loùt beøn ra ñeán cuøng daân chuùng ôû ngoaøi cöûa, roài ñoùng cöûa laïi,

19:7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

19:7 vaø noùi cuøng hoï raèng: Naày, toâi xin anh em ñöøng laøm ñieàu aùc ñoù!

19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do all of you to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

19:8 Ñaây, toâi saün coù hai con gaùi chöa choàng, toâi seõ ñöa chuùng noù cho anh em, roài maëc tình anh em tính laøm sao tuøy yù; mieãn ñöøng laøm cho haïi cho hai ngöôøi kia; vì côù ñoù, neân hoï ñeán nuùp boùng maùi nhaø toâi.

19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will essentially be a judge: now will we deal worse with you, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

19:9 Boïn daân chuùng noùi raèng: Ngöôi haõy traùnh choã khaùc! Laïi tieáp raèng: Ngöôøi naày ñeán ñaây nhö keû kieàu nguï, laïi muoán ñoaùn xeùt nöõa sao! Vaäy, thoâi! chuùng ta seõ ñaõi ngöôi baïc-teä hôn hai khaùch kia. Ñoaïn, hoï laán eùp Loùt maïnh quaù, vaø traøn ñeán ñaëng phaù cöûa.

19:10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

19:10 Nhöng hai thieân söù giô tay ra, ñem Loùt vaøo nhaø, vaø ñoùng cöûa laïi,

19:11 And they stroke the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

19:11 ñoaïn, haønh phaït boïn daân chuùng ôû ngoaøi cöûa, töø treû ñeán giaø, ñeàu quaùng loøa maét, cho ñeán ñoãi tìm cöûa meät maø khoâng ñöôïc.

19:12 And the men said unto Lot, Have you here any besides? son in law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whatsoever you have in the city, bring them out of this place:

19:12 Hai thieân söù beøn hoûi Loùt raèng: Ngöôi coøn coù ai taïi ñaây nöõa chaêng? Reå, con trai, con gaùi vaø ai trong thaønh thuoäc veà ngöôi, haõy ñem ra khoûi heát ñi!

19:13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is becoming great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.

19:13 Chuùng ta seõ huûy dieät choã naày, vì tieáng keâu oan veà daân thaønh naày ñaõ thaáu leân ñeán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, neân Ngaøi sai chuùng ta xuoáng maø huûy dieät.

19:14 And Lot went out, and spoke unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

19:14 Loùt beøn ñi ra vaø noùi cuøng reå ñaõ cöôùi con gaùi mình raèng: Haõy choåi daäy, ñi ra khoûi choán naày, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ huûy dieät thaønh. Nhöng caùc chaøng reå töôûng ngöôøi noùi chôi.

19:15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take your wife, and your two daughters, which are here; lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

19:15 Ñeán saùng, hai thieân söù hoái Loùt vaø phaùn raèng: Haõy thöùc daäy, daãn vôï vaø hai con gaùi ngöôi ñöông ôû ñaây ra, e khi ngöôi cuõng cheát laây veà vieäc hình phaït cuûa thaønh nöõa chaêng.

19:16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

19:16 Nhöng Loùt laàn löõa; vì côù Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va thöông xoùt Loùt, neân hai thieân söù naém laáy tai keùo ngöôøi, vôï cuøng hai con gaùi ngöôøi, vaø daãn ra khoûi thaønh.

19:17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for your life; look not behind you, neither stay you in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed.

19:17 Vaû, khi hai thieân söù daãn hoï ra khoûi roài, moät trong hai vì noùi raèng: Haõy chaïy troán cöùu laáy maïng, ñöøng ngoù laïi sau vaø cuõng ñöøng döøng böôùc laïi nôi naøo ngoaøi ñoàng baèng; haõy chaïy troán leân nuùi, keûo phaûi boû mình chaêng.

19:18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:

19:18 Loùt ñaùp laïi raèng: Laïy Chuùa, khoâng ñöôïc!

19:19 Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

19:19 Naày, toâi tôù ñaõ ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët Chuùa; Chuùa ñaõ toû loøng nhôn töø raát lôùn cuøng toâi maø cöùu troøn söï soáng toâi. Nhöng toâi chaïy troán leân nuùi khoâng kòp tröôùc khi tai naïn ñeán, thì toâi phaûi cheát.

19:20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

19:20 Kìa, thaønh kia ñaõ nhoû, laïi cuõng gaàn ñaëng toâi coù theá aån mình. Oâi! chôù chi Chuùa cho toâi aån ñoù ñaëng cöùu troøn söï soáng toâi. Thaønh naày haù chaúng phaûi nhoû sao?

19:21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted you concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which you have spoken.

19:21 Thieân söù phaùn raèng: Ñaây, ta ban ôn naày cho ngöôi nöõa, seõ khoâng huûy dieät thaønh cuûa ngöôi ñaõ noùi ñoù ñaâu.

19:22 Haste you, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till you be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

19:22 Mau mau haõy laïi aån ñoù, vì ta khoâng laøm chi ñöôïc khi ngöôi chöa vaøo ñeán nôi. Bôûi côù aáy, neân ngöôøi ta goïi teân thaønh naày laø Xoa.

19:23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

19:23 Khi maët trôøi moïc leân khoûi ñaát, thì Loùt vaøo ñeán thaønh Xoa.

19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

19:24 Ñoaïn, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va giaùng möa dieâm sanh vaø löûa töø nôi Ngaøi treân trôøi sa xuoáng Soâ-ñoâm vaø Goâ-moâ-rô,

19:25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

19:25 huûy dieät hai thaønh naày, caû ñoàng baèng, heát thaûy daân söï cuøng caùc caây coû ôû nôi ñaát ñoù.

19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

19:26 Nhöng vôï cuûa Loùt quay ngoù laïi ñaëng sau mình, neân hoùa ra moät töôïng muoái.

19:27 And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

19:27 Aùp-ra-ham daäy sôùm, ñi ñeán nôi maø ngöôøi ñaõ ñöùng chaàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va,

19:28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

19:28 ngoù veà höôùng Soâ-ñoâm vaø Goâ-moâ-rô, cuøng khaép xöù ôû ñoàng baèng, thì thaáy töø döôùi ñaát bay leân moät luoàng khoùi, nhö khoùi cuûa moät loø löûa lôùn.

19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

19:29 Vaû, khi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi huûy dieät caùc thaønh nôi ñoàng baèng, töùc laø thaønh Loùt ôû, thì nhôù ñeán Aùp-ra-ham, cöùu Loùt ra khoûi choán phaù tan ñoù.

19:30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

19:30 Loùt ôû Xoa thì sôï haõi, neân cuøng hai con gaùi mình boû ñoù maø leân nuùi, ôû trong moät hang ñaù kia.

19:31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

19:31 Coâ lôùn noùi cuøng em mình raèng: Cha ta ñaõ giaø, maø khoâng coøn ai treân maët ñaát ñeán saùnh duyeân cuøng ta theo nhö theá thöôøng thieân haï.

19:32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

19:32 Heø! chuùng ta haõy phuïc röôïu cho cha, vaø laïi naèm cuøng ngöôøi, ñeå löu truyeàn doøng gioáng cha laïi.

19:33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

19:33 Ñeâm ñoù, hai naøng phuïc röôïu cho cha mình; naøng lôùn ñeán naèm cuøng cha; nhöng ngöôøi chaúng hay luùc naøo naøng naèm, luùc naøo naøng daäy heát.

19:34 And it came to pass on the next day, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay last night with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go you in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

19:34 Qua ngaøy mai, chò noùi cuøng em raèng: Naày, ñeâm hoâm qua ta ñaõ naèm cuøng cha roài; hoâm nay chuùng ta haõy phuïc röôïu cho cha nöõa, roài em haõy laïi naèm cuøng ngöôøi, ñeå löu truyeàn doøng gioáng cha laïi.

19:35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

19:35 Ñeâm ñoù, hai naøng laïi phuïc röôïu cho cha mình nöõa, roài naøng nhoû thöùc daäy laïi naèm cuøng cha; nhöng ngöôøi chaúng hay luùc naøo naøng naèm, luùc naøo naøng daäy heát.

19:36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

19:36 Vaäy, hai con gaùi cuûa Loùt do nôi cha mình maø thoï thai.

19:37 And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

19:37 Naøng lôùn sanh ñöôïc moät con trai, ñaët teân laø Moâ-aùp; aáy laø toå phuï cuûa daân Moâ-aùp ñeán baây giôø.

19:38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.

19:38 Ngöôøi em cuõng sanh ñaëng moät con trai, ñaët treân laø Beân-Am-mi; aáy laø toå phuï cuûa daân Am-moân ñeán baây giôø.

20:1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

20:1 Aùp-ra-ham töø ñoù ñi ñeán mieàn Nam, kieàu nguï taïi Gheâ-ra, ôû veà giöõa khoaûng Ca-ñe vaø Su-rô.

20:2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

20:2 Aùp-ra-ham noùi veà Sa-ra, vôï mình raèng: Noù laø em gaùi toâi. A-bi-meâ-leùc, vua Gheâ-ra sai ngöôøi baét Sa-ra.

20:3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, you are but a dead man, for the woman which you have taken; for she is a man's wife.

20:3 Nhöng trong côn chieâm bao ban ñeâm, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi hieän ñeán cuøng vua A-bi-meâ-leùc maø phaùn raèng: Naày, ngöôi seõ cheát bôûi côù ngöôøi ñôøn baø maø ngöôi ñaõ baét ñeán; vì naøng coù choàng roài.

20:4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, will you slay also a righteous nation?

20:4 Vaû, vua A-bi-meâ-leùc chöa ñeán gaàn ngöôøi ñoù, neân thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, Chuùa haù seõ huûy dieät caû moät daân coâng bình chaêng?

20:5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands have I done this.

20:5 Ngöôøi ñoù haù chaúng noùi vôùi toâi raèng: aáy laø em gaùi toâi chaêng? vaø chaùnh ngöôøi nöõ haù chaúng noùi raèng: aáy laø anh toâi sao? Toâi laøm söï naày bôûi loøng ngay thaúng vaø tay thanh khieát cuûa toâi.

20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart; for I also withheld you from sinning against me: therefore suffered I you not to touch her.

20:6 Trong côn chieâm bao, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn nöõa raèng: Ta cuõng bieát ngöôi vì loøng ngay thaúng maø laøm ñieàu ñoù; bôûi côù aáy, ta môùi ngaên trôû ngöôi phaïm toäi cuøng ta, vaø khoâng cho ñoäng ñeán ngöôøi ñoù.

20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for you, and you shall live: and if you restore her not, know you that you shall surely die, you, and all that are yours.

20:7 Baây giôø, haõy giao ñôøn baø ñoù laïi cho choàng noù, vì choàng noù laø moät ñaáng tieân tri, seõ caàu nguyeän cho ngöôi, thì ngöôi môùi ñöôïc soáng. Coøn nhö khoâng giao laïi, thì phaûi bieát raèng ngöôi vaø heát thaûy ai thuoäc veà ngöôi quaû haún seõ cheát.

20:8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

20:8 Vua A-bi-meâ-leùc daäy sôùm, ñoøi caùc toâi tôù mình ñeán, thuaät laïi heát moïi lôøi, thì hoï laáy laøm kinh ngaïc.

20:9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What have you done unto us? and what have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? you have done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

20:9 Roài, A-bi-meâ-leùc ñoøi Aùp-ra-ham maø noùi raèng: Ngöôi ñaõ laøm gì cho ta vaäy? Ta coù laøm ñieàu chi maát loøng chaêng maø ngöôi laøm cho ta vaø caû nöôùc phaûi bò moät vieäc phaïm toäi lôùn döôøng naày? Ñoái cuøng ta, ngöôi ñaõ laøm nhöõng vieäc khoâng neân laøm ñoù.

20:10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What saw you, that you have done this thing?

20:10 Vua A-bi-meâ-leùc laïi noùi cuøng Aùp-ra-ham raèng: Ngöôi coù yù gì maø laøm nhö vaäy?

20:11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.

20:11 Aùp-ra-ham ñaùp: Toâi töï nghó raèng: Trong xöù naày thaät khoâng coù ai kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì hoï seõ vì côù vôï toâi maø gieát toâi chaêng.

20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

20:12 Nhöng noù cuõng thaät laø em gaùi toâi, em moät cha khaùc meï; vaø toâi cöôùi noù laøm vôï.

20:13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is your kindness which you shall show unto me; at every place where we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

20:13 Khi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laøm cho toâi phaûi löu laïc xa nhaø cha, thì toâi coù noùi vôùi naøng raèng: Naày laø ôn cuûa ngöôi seõ laøm cho ta: Heã choã naøo chuùng ta seõ ñi ñeán, haõy noùi veà ta: Aáy laø anh toâi.

20:14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and male servants, and female servants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

20:14 Ñoaïn, vua A-bi-meâ-leùc ñem chieân vaø boø, toâi trai cuøng tôù gaùi cho Aùp-ra-ham, vaø traû Sa-ra vôï ngöôøi laïi, maø phaùn raèng:

20:15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before you: dwell where it pleases you.

20:15 Naày, xöù ta saün daønh cho ngöôi; ngöôi thích ñaâu thì ôû ñoù.

20:16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to you a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with you, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

20:16 Roài vua phaùn cuøng Sa-ra raèng: Ñaây, ta ban cho anh ngöôi moät ngaøn mieáng baïc; soá tieàn ñoù duøng cho ngöôi nhö moät böùc maøn che tröôùc maét veà moïi vieäc ñaõ xaûy ra cuøng ngöôi; vaø moïi ngöôøi ñeàu seõ cho ngöôi laø coâng bình.

20:17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.

20:17 Aùp-ra-ham caàu xin Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì Ngaøi chöõa bònh cho vua A-bi-meâ-leùc, vôï cuøng caùc con ñoøi ngöôøi; vaäy, hoï ñeàu coù con.

20:18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

20:18 Vaû, luùc tröôùc, vì vuï Sa-ra, vôï Aùp-ra-ham, neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm cho caû nhaø A-bi-meâ-leùc ñeàu son seû.
