Xuat e dip to ky - Exodus

1:1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.

1:1 Ñaây laø teân caùc con trai cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân, moãi ngöôøi ñeàu daãn ngöôøi nhaø mình ñi vôùi Gia-coáp ñeán xöù EÂ-díp-toâ:

1:2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

1:2 Ru-beân, Si-meâ-oân, Leâ-vi vaø Giu-ña;

1:3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,

1:3 Y-sa-ca, Sa-bu-loân vaø Beân-gia-min;

1:4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

1:4 Ñan, Neùp-ta-li, Gaùt, vaø A-se.

1:5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

1:5 Heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi bôûi Gia-coáp sanh ra, ñöôïc baûy möôi ngöôøi; Gioâ-seùp ñaõ ôû taïi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

1:6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

1:6 Vaû, Gioâ-seùp vaø anh em ngöôøi cuøng moïi keû ñoàng ñôøi ñoù ñeàu cheát heát.

1:7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

1:7 Con chaùu Y-sô-ra-eân theâm nhieàu laï luøng, naåy nôû ra, vaø trôû neân raát cöôøng thaïnh; caû xöù ñeàu ñaày daãy.

1:8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

1:8 Nhöng baáy giôø taïi nöôùc EÂ-díp-toâ, coù moät vua môùi leân ngoâi, chaúng quen bieát Gioâ-seùp.

1:9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

1:9 Vua phaùn cuøng daân mình raèng: Naày, daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñoâng vaø maïnh hôn chuùng ta;

1:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falls out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

1:10 heø! ta haõy duøng chöôùc khoân ngoan ñoái cuøng hoï, keûo hoï theâm nhieàu leân, moät mai neáu coù côn chinh chieán xaûy ñeán, hoï seõ hieäp cuøng quaân nghòch ñaùnh laïi ta, vaø ra khoûi xöù chaêng.

1:11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

1:11 Vaäy, ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ beøn ñaët caùc keû ñaàu xaâu ñeå baét daân Y-sô-ra-eân laøm xaâu khoù nhoïc; hoï xaây thaønh Phi-thom vaø Ram-se duøng laøm kho taøng cho Pha-ra-oân.

1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

1:12 Nhöng ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ caøng baét laøm khoù nhoïc chöøng naøo, daân Y-sô-ra-eân caøng theâm nhieàu leân, vaø traøn ra chöøng naáy. Ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ beøn ñem loøng ghen gheùt daân Y-sô-ra-eân,

1:13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

1:13 baét laøm coâng vieäc nhoïc nhaèn,

1:14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

1:14 gaây cho ñôøi daân aáy neân cay ñaéng, vì noãi khoå sôû nhoài ñaát, laøm gaïch vaø moïi vieäc khaùc ôû ngoaøi ñoàng. Caùc coâng vieäc naày ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ baét daân Y-sô-ra-eân laøm nhoïc nhaèn laém.

1:15 And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:

1:15 Vua xöù EÂ-díp-toâ cuõng phaùn cuøng caùc baø muï cuûa daân Heâ-bô-rô, moät ngöôøi teân Sieáp-ra vaø moät ngöôøi teân Phu -a,

1:16 And he said, When all of you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then all of you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

1:17 Nhöng caùc baø muï kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chaúng laøm theo lôøi vua EÂ-díp-toâ phaùn daën, ñeàu ñeå cho caùc con trai soáng heát.

1:18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have all of you done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

1:18 Vua xöù EÂ-díp-toâ beøn ñoøi nhöõng baø muï maø phaùn raèng: Sao caùc ngöôi laøm nhö vaäy, ñeå cho nhöõng con trai soáng?

1:19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered before the midwives come in unto them.

1:19 Caùc baø muï taâu raèng: Aáy taïi ngöôøi ñaøn baø Heâ-bô-rô chaúng phaûi nhö ngöôøi ñaøn baø EÂ-díp-toâ; vì hoï maïnh khoûe hôn, ñaõ sanh nôû tröôùc khi muï ñeán.

1:20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

1:20 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ban ôn cho nhöõng baø muï; daân söï gia theâm vaø trôû neân ñoâng ñuùc.

1:21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

1:21 Aáy vaäy, vì baø muï coù loøng kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, neân Ngaøi laøm cho nhaø hoï ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng.

1:22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born all of you shall cast into the river, and every daughter all of you shall keep alive.

1:22 Pha-ra-oân beøn truyeàn lònh cho caû daân mình raèng: Phaøm con trai cuûa daân Heâ-bô-rô môùi sanh, haõy

2:1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

2:1 Vaû, coù moät ngöôøi trong hoï Leâ-vi ñi cöôùi con gaùi Leâ-vi laøm vôï.

2:2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

2:2 Naøng thoï thai, vaø sanh moät con trai; thaáy con ngoä, neân ñem ñi giaáu trong ba thaùng.

2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with bitumen and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

2:3 Nhöng giaáu laâu hôn nöõa khoâng ñöôïc, naøng beøn laáy moät caùi röông maây, treùt chai vaø nhöïa thoâng, roài ñeå ñöùa treû vaøo, ñem thaû trong ñaùm saäy döïa meù soâng.

2:4 And his sister stood far off, to know what would be done to him.

2:4 Ngöôøi chò ñöùa treû ñöùng xa nôi ñoù ñaëng cho bieát noù seõ ra sao.

2:5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

2:5 Vaû, baáy giôø, con gaùi Pha-ra-oân xuoáng soâng taém, coøn caùc con ñoøi ñi daïo chôi treân meù soâng; coâng chuùa thaáy caùi röông maây ñoù giöõa ñaùm saäy, beøn sai con ñoøi mình ñi vôùt leân.

2:6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

2:6 Coâng chuùa môû röông ra, thaáy ñöùa treû, laø moät ñöùa con trai nhoû ñöông khoùc, beøn ñoäng loøng thöông xoùt maø raèng: Aáy laø moät ñöùa con cuûa ngöôøi Heâ-bô-rô.

2:7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?

2:7 Ngöôøi chò ñöùa treû beøn noùi cuøng coâng chuùa raèng: Toâi phaûi ñi keâu moät ngöôøi vuù trong boïn ñaøn baø Heâ-bô-rô ñaëng cho döùa treû buù chôù?

2:8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

2:8 Coâng chuùa ñaùp raèng: Haõy ñi ñi. Ngöôøi gaùi treû ñoù keâu meï cuûa ñöùa treû.

2:9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

2:9 Coâng chuùa noùi raèng: Haõy ñem ñöùa treû naày veà nuoâi buù cho ta; ta seõ traû tieàn coâng cho. Ngöôøi ñaøn baø aüm ñöùa treû maø cho buù.

2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

2:10 Khi lôùn khoân roài, ngöôøi beøn daãn noù vaøo cho coâng chuùa, naøng nhaän laøm con, vaø ñaët teân laø Moâi-se, vì naøng noùi raèng: Ta ñaõ vôùt noù khoûi nöôùc.

2:11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

2:11 Vaû, ñang luùc ñoù, Moâi-se ñaõ lôùn khoân roài, ra ñi ñeán cuøng anh em mình, xem thaáy coâng vieäc nhoïc nhaèn cuûa hoï; cuõng thaáy moät ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ ñaùnh moät ngöôøi Heâ-bô-rô trong voøng anh em mình;

2:12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

2:12 ngoù quanh quaát chaúng thaáy ai, beøn gieát ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ ñem vuøi trong caùt.

2:13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smite you your fellow?

2:13 Qua ngaøy sau, Moâi-se ñi ra nöõa, thaáy hai ngöôøi Heâ-bô-rô ñaùnh loän, beøn noùi cuøng ngöôøi coù loãi raèng: Sao ngöôi ñaùnh ngöôøi ñoàng loaïi mình?

2:14 And he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? intend you to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

2:14 Nhöng ngöôøi ñoù ñaùp raèng: Ai ñaët ngöôi laøm vua, laøm quan aùn cho chuùng ta? Coù phaûi muoán gieát ta nhö ñaõ gieát ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ kia chaêng? Moâi-se sôï, noùi raèng: Chaéc thaät, vieäc naày phaûi laäu roài.

2:15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

2:15 Pha-ra-oân hay vieäc ñoù, thì tìm gieát Moâi-se; nhöng ngöôøi troán ñi khoûi maët Pha-ra-oân, döøng chaân taïi xöù Ma-ñi-an, vaø ngoài gaàn beân moät caùi gieáng.

2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

2:16 Vaû, thaày teá leã xöù Ma-ñi-an coù baûy con gaùi; caùc naøng ñoù ñeán gieáng xaùch nöôùc ñoå ñaày maùng ñaëng cho baày chieân cha mình uoáng.

2:17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

2:18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that all of you are come so soon to day?

2:18 Khi maáy naøng trôû veà nhaø Reâ -u-eân, cha mình, thì ngöôøi hoûi raèng: Sao böõa nay caùc con veà sôùm vaäy?

2:19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

2:19 Thöa raèng: Moät ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ cöùu chuùng toâi ra khoûi tay boïn chaên chieân, vaø cuõng coù xaùch nöôùc nhieàu quaù cho baày chieân uoáng nöõa.

2:20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that all of you have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

2:20 Cha laïi hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi ñoù baây giôø ôû ñaâu? Sao caùc con boû ngöôøi ñi? Haõy môøi ñeán ñaëng aên baùnh.

2:21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

2:21 Moâi-se öng ôû cuøng ngöôøi naày, ngöôøi beøn gaû Seâ-phoâ-ra, con gaùi mình, cho Moâi-se.

2:22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

2:22 Naøng sanh moät con trai; Moâi-se ñaët teân laø Gheït-soân vì noùi raèng: Toâi kieàu nguï nôi ngoaïi bang.

2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

2:23 Sau caùch laâu, vua xöù EÂ-díp-toâ baêng; daân Y-sô-ra-eân than thôû keâu van vì phaûi phuïc dòch khoå sôû; tieáng keâu van leân thaáu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

2:24 Ngaøi nghe tieáng than thôû chuùng, nhôù ñeán söï giao öôùc mình keát laäp cuøng Aùp-ra-ham, Y-saùc vaø Gia-coáp.

3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

3:1 Vaû, Moâi-se chaên baày chieân cho Gieâ-troâ, oâng gia mình, laø thaày teá leã taïi xöù Ma-ñi-an; daãn baày chieân qua phía beân kia ñoàng vaéng, ñeán nuùi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø nuùi Hoâ-reáp.

3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3:2 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hieän ra cuøng ngöôøi trong ngoïn löûa, giöõa buïi gai kia. Ngöôøi nhìn thaáy caû buïi gai ñang chaùy, nhöng khoâng heà taøn.

3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

3:3 Moâi-se beøn noùi raèng: Ta haõy teû böôùc laïi ñaëng xem söï laï lôùn naày, vì côù sao buïi gai chaúng taøn chuùt naøo.

3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

3:5 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn raèng: Chôù laïi gaàn choán naày, Haõy coåi giaày ngöôi ra, vì choã ngöôi ñang ñöùng laø ñaát thaùnh.

3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

3:12 And he said, Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token unto you, that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, all of you shall serve God upon this mountain.

3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers has sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

3:13 Moâi-se thöa cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng: Naày, toâi seõ ñi ñeán daân Y-sô-ra-eân, noùi cuøng hoï raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï caùc ngöôi sai ta ñeán cuøng caùc ngöôi; nhöng neáu hoï hoûi: Teân Ngaøi laø chi? thì toâi noùi vôùi hoï laøm sao?

3:18 And they shall hearken to your voice: and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and all of you shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us: and now let us go, we plead to you, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

4:1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD has not appeared unto you.

4:1 Moâi-se thöa raèng: Nhöng daân ñoù seõ chaúng tin vaø chaúng vaâng lôøi toâi, vì seõ noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chaúng coù hieän ra cuøng ngöôi ñaâu.

4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in yours hand? And he said, A rod.

4:2 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Trong tay ngöôi caàm vaät chi? Thöa raèng: Moät caây gaäy.

4:3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

4:3 Phaùn raèng: Haõy neùm xuoáng ñaát ñi. Ngöôøi beøn neùm xuoáng ñaát, gaäy hoùa ra moät con raén; Moâi-se chaïy troán noù.

4:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth yours hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

4:4 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Haõy giô tay ngöôi ra naém ñuoâi noù. Ngöôøi giô tay ra naém, thì noù höôøn laïi caây gaäy trong tay.

4:5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared unto you.

4:5 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Aáy ñeå cho chuùng noù tin raèng Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï mình, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Aùp-ra-ham, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-saùc, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Gia-coáp, ñaõ hieän ra cuøng ngöôi.

4:6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now yours hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

4:6 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi phaùn raèng: Haõy ñaët tay ngöôi vaøo loøng. Ngöôøi lieàn ñaët vaøo, roài laáy ra. Naày, tay ngöôøi noåi phung traéng nhö tuyeát.

4:7 And he said, Put yours hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

4:7 Ñoaïn, Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Haõy ñaët tay ngöôi vaøo loøng laïi; ngöôøi beøn ñaët vaøo, roài laáy ra. Kìa, tay trôû laïi nhö thòt mình.

4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which you take out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

4:14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

4:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn noåi giaän cuøng Moâi-se maø phaùn raèng: Coù phaûi A-roân, ngöôøi Leâ-vi, laø anh ngöôi chaêng? Ta bieát ngöôøi ñoù coù taøi noùi gioûi, vaø kìa, ngöôøi ñang ñi ñeán ñoùn ngöôi kìa; khi thaáy ngöôi, chaéc seõ vui möøng trong loøng.

4:18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray you, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

4:18 Moâi-se beøn ñi, trôû veà Gieâ-troâ, oâng gia mình, maø thöa raèng: Xin cha haõy cho toâi trôû veà nôi anh em toâi taïi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, ñaëng thaêm thöû hoï coøn soáng chaêng. Gieâ-troâ beøn noùi cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Con haõy ñi bình yeân.

4:21 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Khi trôû veà xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, haõy caån thaän veà caùc daáu laï cuûa ta ñaõ giao nôi tay ngöôi maø laøm tröôùc maët Pha-ra-oân; nhöng ta seõ khieán ngöôøi cöùng loøng chaúng cho daân söï ñi.

5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

5:1 Keá sau, Moâi-se vaø A-roân ñeán taâu cuøng Pha-ra-oân raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy cho daân ta ñi, ñaëng noù giöõ moät leã cho ta taïi ñoàng vaéng.

5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

5:2 Nhöng Pha-ra-oân ñaùp raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va laø ai maø traãm phaûi vaâng lôøi ngöôøi, ñeå cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi? Traãm chaúng bieát Gieâ-hoâ-va naøo heát; cuõng chaúng cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi nöõa.

5:3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

5:3 Moâi-se vaø A-roân taâu raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa daân Heâ-bô-rô ñaõ ñeán cuøng chuùng toâi; xin haõy cho pheùp chuùng toâi ñi vaøo nôi ñoàng vaéng, caùch chöøng ba ngaøy ñöôøng, ñaëng daâng teá leã cho Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi, keûo Ngaøi khieán bònh dòch hay vieäc göôm dao haønh chuùng toâi chaêng.

5:4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do all of you, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

5:4 Vua xöù EÂ-díp-toâ phaùn raèng: Hôõi Moâi-se vaø A-roân, sao caùc ngöôi xui cho daân chuùng boû coâng vieäc nhö vaäy? Haõy ñi laøm coâng vieäc mình ñi!

5:5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and all of you make them rest from their burdens.

5:6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

5:8 Nhöng caùc ngöôi haõy haïn soá gaïch y nhö cuõ, chôù tröø bôùt chi caû; vì hoï bieáng nhaùc, laáy côù maø ñoàng keâu leân raèng: Heø! ñi daâng teá leã cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta!

5:9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

5:9 Haõy gaùn coâng vieäc naëng cho chuùng noù, haàu cho chuùng noù maéc coâng vieäc, chaúng xieâu veà lôøi giaû doái nöõa.

6:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

8:17 Hai ngöôøi laøm y nhö vaäy. A-roân caàm gaäy giô tay ra, ñaäp buïi treân ñaát, buïi lieàn hoùa thaønh muoãi, bu ngöôøi vaø suùc vaät; heát thaûy buïi ñeàu hoùa thaønh muoãi trong xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

8:20 Keá ñoù, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Naày Pha-ra-oân seõ ngöï ra meù soâng, ngöôi haõy daäy sôùm, ñi ra maét ngöôøi, maø taâu raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy tha cho daân ta ñi, ñeå chuùng noù haàu vieäc ta.

10:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him:

10:3 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

10:3 Moâi-se vaø A-roân beøn ñi ñeán Pha-ra-oân maø taâu raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi daân Heâ-bô-rô, coù phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôi khoâng chòu haï mình tröôùc maët ta cho ñeán chöøng naøo? Haõy tha daân ta ñi, ñeå chuùng noù haàu vieäc ta.

10:7 Quaàn thaàn Pha-ra-oân taâu raèng: Ñeán chöøng naøo ngöôøi naày môùi thoâi gaøi baãy ta? Haõy tha daân aáy ñi, ñeå chuùng noù haàu vieäc Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng noù! Beä haï chöa bieát raèng nöôùc EÂ-díp-toâ ñaõ bò nguy vong sao?

10:9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

10:9 Moâi-se taâu raèng: Chuùng toâi ñi, seõ ñem nam phuï laõo aáu vaø chieân boø theo, vì veà phaàn chuùng toâi, aáy laø moät leã cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

10:10 Pha-ra-oân noùi raèng: Caàu xin Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi! Hoà deã ta cho caùc ngöôi cuøng con caùi ñeàu ñi sao! Khoâng! quaû thaät khoâng cho ñaâu, vì caùc ngöôi coù möu aùc!

10:11 Not so: go now all of you that are men, and serve the LORD; for that all of you did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

10:12 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Haõy giô tay ngöôi ra treân xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, ñaëng khieán caøo caøo traøn leân xöù ñoù, caén xaû rau coû vaø moïi vaät chi treân ñaát möa ñaù coøn chöøa laïi.

13:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

13:3 Moâi-se noùi cuøng daân söï raèng: Haõy kyû nieäm ngaøy naày, vì laø ngaøy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va duøng tay quyeàn naêng ruùt caùc ngöôi ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, töùc laø khoûi nhaø noâ leä; neân chôù ai aên baùnh coù men.

13:15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

13:17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest possibly the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

13:17 Vaû, khi Pha-ra-oân tha daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khoâng daãn daân aáy ñi theo ñöôøng veà xöù Phi-li-tin, laø ñöôøng gaàn hôn heát, vì Ngaøi noùi raèng: E khi daân thaáy traän maïc, dôøi loøng trôû veà xöù EÂ-díp-toâ chaêng.

14:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

14:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite to Baalzephon: before it shall all of you camp by the sea.

14:2 Haõy truyeàn cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân trôû laïi ñoùng traïi taïi tröôùc Phi-Ha-hi-roát, ngang Ba-anh-Seâ-phoân, giöõa khoaûng Mít-ñoân vaø bieån. Caùc ngöôi haõy ñoùng traïi ñoái dieän nôi naày, gaàn bieån.

14:3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.

14:3 Chaéc Pha-ra-oân seõ noùi veà daân Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Daân ñoù laïc ñöôøng bò khoán trong ñoàng vaéng roài.

14:4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

14:4 Ta seõ laøm cho Pha-ra-oân cöùng loøng, ngöôøi seõ ñuoåi theo daân ñoù; nhöng ta seõ vì Pha-ra-oân vaø caû toaùn binh ngöôøi ñöôïc raïng danh; ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ seõ bieát ta laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Daân Y-sô-ra-eân beøn laøm nhö vaäy.

14:5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?

14:5 Vaû, hoï baùo cuøng vua EÂ-díp-toâ raèng daân Heâ-bô-rô ñaõ troán ñi roài. Loøng Pha-ra-oân vaø quaàn thaàn ñoái cuøng daân ñoù beøn thay ñoåi, noùi raèng: Chuùng ta ñaõ laøm chi vaäy, tha daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi ñeå khoûi phuïc dòch ta nöõa sao?

14:6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:

14:11 Chuùng laïi noùi cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Xöù EÂ-díp-toâ haù chaúng coù nôi moä phaàn, neân noãi ngöôøi môùi daãn chuùng toâi vaøo ñoàng vaéng ñaëng cheát sao? Ngöôøi ñöa chuùng toâi ra xöù EÂ-díp-toâ ñeå laøm chi?

14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

14:12 Chuùng toâi haù chaúng coù noùi cuøng ngöôøi taïi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ raèng: Ñeå maëc chuùng toâi phuïc dòch daân EÂ-díp-toâ, vì thaø raèng phuïc dòch hoï coøn hôn phaûi cheát nôi ñoàng vaéng?

14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear all of you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom all of you have seen to day, all of you shall see them again no more for ever.

14:13 Moâi-se ñaùp cuøng daân söï raèng: Chôù sôï chi, haõy ôû ñoù, roài ngaøy nay xem söï giaûi cöùu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ laøm cho caùc ngöôi; vì ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ maø caùc ngöôi ngoù thaáy ngaøy nay, thì chaúng bao giôø ngoù thaáy nöõa.

14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore cry you unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

14:17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

14:17 Coøn ta seõ laøm cho daân EÂ-díp-toâ cöùng loøng theo daân Y-sô-ra-eân xuoáng bieån, roài ta seõ ñöôïc raïng danh vì Pha-ra-oân, caû ñaïo binh, binh xa, vaø lính kî ngöôøi.

14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

16:27 Ngaøy thöù baûy, moät vaøi ngöôøi trong voøng daân söï ra ñaëng löôïm laáy, nhöng tìm chaúng thaáy chi heát.

16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse all of you to keep my commandments and my laws?

16:28 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Caùc ngöôi chaúng chòu vaâng giöõ ñieàu raên vaø luaät phaùp ta cho ñeán chöøng naøo?

16:29 See, for that the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide all of you every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

16:29 Haõy suy nghó raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ cho caùc ngöôi ngaøy Sa-baùt; vaäy neân, ñeán ngaøy thöù saùu Ngaøi laïi cho caùc ngöôi löông thöïc ñuû hai ngaøy. Trong ngaøy thöù baûy, moãi ngöôøi phaûi ôû yeân choã mình, chôù ai ra khoûi nhaø.

16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

16:30 Theá thì, ngaøy thöù baûy daân söï ñeàu nghæ ngôi.

16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

16:31 Nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân ñaët teân löông thöïc naày laø ma-na; noù gioáng nhö hoät ngoø, saéc traéng, muøi nhö baùnh ngoït pha maät ong.

16:32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commands, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

16:32 Moâi-se noùi raèng: Lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën nhö vaày: Haõy ñoå ñaày moät oâ-me ma-na, ñaëng löu truyeàn traûi caùc ñôøi, haàu cho thieân haï thaáy thöù baùnh ta ñaõ cho caùc ngöôi aên nôi ñoàng vaéng, khi ta ruùt caùc ngöôi ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

16:33 Moâi-se laïi noùi cuøng A-roân raèng: Haõy laáy moät caùi bình ñöïng ñaày moät oâ-me ma-na, ñeå tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñaëng löu truyeàn caùc ñôøi.

16:34 As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

16:34 A-roân beøn ñeå bình ñoù tröôùc söï chöùng côù, haàu cho ñöôïc löu truyeàn y nhö lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën Moâi-se.

16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

16:35 Daân Y-sô-ra-eân aên ma-na traûi boán möôi naêm, cho ñeán khi vaøo bôø coõi xöù Ca-na-an, laø xöù coù ngöôøi ta ôû.

16:36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

16:36 Vaû, oâ-me laø moät phaàn möôøi cuûa eâ-pha.

Xuat e dip to ky - Exodus

17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

17:1 Caû hoäi chuùng Y-sô-ra-eân ñi töø ñoàng vaéng Sin, ñi töøng traïm, tuøy theo lònh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñoùng traïi taïi Reâ-phi-ñim; ôû ñoù chaúng coù nöôùc cho daân söï uoáng.

17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide all of you with me? wherefore do all of you tempt the LORD?

17:2 Daân söï beøn kieám côù caõi loän cuøng Moâi-se maø raèng: Haõy cho chuùng toâi nöôùc uoáng. Moâi-se ñaùp raèng: Sao caùc ngöôi kieám côù caõi loän cuøng ta? Sao öôùm thöû Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaäy?

17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

17:3 Daân söï ôû ñoù khoâng coù nöôùc, bò khaùt, neân oaùn traùch Moâi-se maø raèng: Sao ngöôøi khieán chuùng toâi ra xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, haàu cho chuùng toâi, con vaø caùc baày suùc vaät phaûi chòu cheát khaùt theá naày?

17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

17:4 Moâi-se beøn keâu caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø raèng: Toâi phaûi xöû theá naøo cuøng daân naày? Thieáu ñieàu hoï neùm ñaù toâi!

17:5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, wherewith you smote the river, take in yours hand, and go.

17:5 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Haõy caàm gaäy cuûa ngöôi ñaõ ñaäp döôùi soâng, daãn theo nhöõng tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân, roài ñi tröôùc maët daân söï.

17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

17:6 Naày ta seõ ñöùng ñaèng tröôùc ngöôi, ôû treân hoøn ñaù taïi Hoâ-reáp kia, ngöôi haõy ñaäp hoøn ñaù, thì nöôùc töø ñoù chaûy ra, daân söï seõ uoáng laáy. Moâi-se beøn laøm nhö vaäy tröôùc maët caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân.

17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

17:7 Ngöôøi ñaët teân nôi naày laø Ma-sa vaø Meâ-ri-ba, vì côù vieäc caõi loän maø daân Y-sô-ra-eân kieám côù gaây cuøng ngöôøi, vaø vì hoï ñaõ öôùm thöû Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø noùi raèng: Coù Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû giöõa chuùng ta hay chaêng?

17:8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

17:8 Vaû, khi ñoù, daân A-ma-leùc ñeán kheâu chieán cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân taïi Reâ-phi-ñim.

17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

17:9 Moâi-se beøn noùi cuøng Gioâ-sueâ raèng: Haõy choïn laáy traùng só cho chuùng ta, ra chieán ñaáu cuøng daân A-ma-leùc; ngaøy mai ta seõ ñöùng nôi ñaàu noång, caàm gaäy cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi trong tay.

17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

17:10 Gioâ-sueâ beøn laøm y nhö lôøi Moâi-se noùi, ñeå cöï chieán daân A-ma-leùc; coøn Moâi-se, A-roân vaø Hu-rô leân treân ñaàu noång.

17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

17:11 Vaû, heã ñang khi Moâi-se giô tay leân, thì daân Y-sô-ra-eân thaéng hôn; nhöng khi ngöôøi xuïi tay xuoáng, daân A-ma-leùc laïi thaéng hôn.

17:12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

17:12 Tay Moâi-se moûi, A-roân vaø Hu-rô beøn laáy ñaù keâ cho ngöôøi ngoài, roài ôû hai beân ñôõ tay ngöôøi leân; tay ngöôøi chaúng lay ñoäng cho ñeán khi maët trôøi laën.

17:13 And Joshua humiliated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

17:13 Gioâ-sueâ laáy löôõi göôm ñaùnh baïi A-ma-leùc vaø daân söï ngöôøi.

17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

17:14 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Haõy cheùp ñieàu naày trong saùch laøm kyû nieäm, vaø haõy noùi cho Gioâ-sueâ bieát raèng ta seõ boâi saïch kyû nieäm veà A-ma-leùc trong thieân haï.

17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

17:15 Moâi-se laäp leân moät baøn thôø, ñaët teân laø "Gieâ-hoâ-va côø xí cuûa toâi";

17:16 For he said, Because the LORD has sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

17:16 vaø noùi raèng: Bôûi vì A-ma-leùc coù giô tay leân nghòch cuøng ngoâi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chinh chieán vôùi A-ma-leùc töø ñôøi naày qua ñôøi kia.

Xuat e dip to ky - Exodus

18:1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

18:1 Gieâ-troâ, thaày teá leã xöù Ma-ñi-an, oâng gia cuûa Moâi-se, hay ñöôïc moïi ñieàu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ laøm cho Moâi-se cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân, laø daân söï Ngaøi, vaø nghe Ngaøi ñaõ daãn daân aáy ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ.

18:2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

18:2 Ngöôøi beøn daãn Seâ-phoâ-ra, vôï Moâi-se, ñaõ cho trôû veà nhaø cha,

18:3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an foreigner in a strange land:

18:3 cuøng hai con trai, moät teân laø Gheït-soân, vì Moâi-se ñaõ noùi raèng: Toâi kieàu nguï nôi ngoaïi bang;

18:4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

18:4 vaø moät teân laø EÂ-li-eâ-se, vì ngöôøi laïi coù noùi: Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa toå phuï toâi ñaõ vuøa giuùp vaø giaûi cöùu toâi khoûi göôm Pha-ra-oân.

18:5 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:

18:5 Vaäy, Gieâ-troâ, oâng gia cuûa Moâi-se, ñeán vôùi hai con trai vaø vôï Moâi-se, thaêm ngöôøi nôi ñoàng vaéng, choã ñoùng traïi gaàn beân nuùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

18:6 And he said unto Moses, I your father in law Jethro am come unto you, and your wife, and her two sons with her.

18:6 Ngöôøi beøn sai baùo cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Ta laø Gieâ-troâ, oâng gia cuûa ngöôi, ta cuøng vôï ngöôi vaø hai con trai naøng ñeán thaêm ngöôi.

18:7 And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did reverence, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

18:7 Moâi-se ra ñoùn röôùc oâng gia mình, moïp xuoáng vaø hoân ngöôøi, hoûi thaêm nhau, roài vaøo traïi.

18:8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.

18:8 Moâi-se lieàn thuaät cho oâng gia mình bieát moïi ñieàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vì Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ laøm cho Pha-ra-oân vaø ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ, moïi ñieàu khoå nhoïc xaûy ñeán cho mình doïc ñöôøng vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ giaûi thoaùt daân Y-sô-ra-eân theá naøo.

18:9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.

18:9 Gieâ-troâ laáy laøm vui möøng veà caùc ôn maø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm cho Y-sô-ra-eân, giaûi cöùu daân aáy khoûi tay ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ.

18:10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

18:10 Gieâ-troâ noùi raèng: Ñaùng ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va thay! laø Ñaáng ñaõ giaûi cöùu caùc ngöôi ra khoûi tay ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ vaø tay Pha-ra-oân, vaø giaûi cöùu daân söï ra khoûi quyeàn cuûa ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ.

18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

18:11 Baây giôø ta bieát raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø lôùn hôn heát caùc thaàn, vì khi ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ caäy loøng kieâu ngaïo daáy leân, thì Ngaøi thaéng ñöôïc chuùng noù.

18:12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

18:12 Gieâ-troâ, oâng gia cuûa Moâi-se, beøn baøy moät cuûa leã thieâu vaø caùc leã vaät maø daâng cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; roài A-roân vaø caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán aên baùnh cuøng oâng gia cuûa Moâi-se, tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

18:13 And it came to pass on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

18:13 Qua ngaøy sau, Moâi-se ra ngoài xeùt ñoaùn daân söï; daân söï ñöùng chöïc tröôùc maët ngöôøi töø sôùm mai ñeán chieàu.

18:14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that you do to the people? why sit you yourself alone, and all the people stand by you from morning unto even?

18:14 Oâng gia thaáy moïi ñieàu ngöôøi laøm cho daân söï, beøn hoûi raèng: Con laøm chi cuøng daân söï ñoù? Sao con chæ ngoài moät mình, coøn caû daân söï ñöùng chöïc tröôùc maët töø sôùm mai cho ñeán chieàu nhö vaäy?

18:15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:

18:15 Moâi-se beøn thöa raèng: Aáy vì daân söï ñeán cuøng toâi ñaëng hoûi yù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

18:16 When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

18:16 Khi naøo hoï coù vieäc chi, thì ñeán cuøng toâi, toâi xeùt ñoaùn ngöôøi naày cuøng ngöôøi kia, vaø cho hoï bieát nhöõng maïng lònh vaø luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

18:17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that you do is not good.

18:17 Nhöng oâng gia laïi noùi raèng: Ñieàu con laøm ñoù chaúng tieän.

18:18 You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself alone.

18:18 Quaû thaät, con cuøng daân söï ôû vôùi con seõ bò ñuoái chaúng sai, vì vieäc ñoù naëng neà quaù söùc con, moät mình gaùnh chaúng noåi.

18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Be you for the people toward God, that you may bring the causes unto God:

18:19 Baây giôø, haõy nghe cha khuyeân con moät lôøi, caàu xin Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phuø hoä cho. Veà phaàn con, haõy laøm keû thay maët cho daân söï tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø ñem trình moïi vieäc cho Ngaøi hay.

18:20 And you shall teach them ordinances and laws, and shall show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

18:20 Haõy laáy maïng lònh vaø luaät phaùp Ngaøi maø daïy hoï, chæ cho bieát con ñöôøng naøo phaûi ñi, vaø ñieàu chi phaûi laøm.

18:21 Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

18:21 Nhöng haõy choïn laáy trong voøng daân söï maáy ngöôøi taøi naêng, kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chaân thaät, gheùt söï tham lôïi, maø laäp leân treân daân söï, laøm tröôûng cai trò hoaëc ngaøn ngöôøi, hoaëc traêm ngöôøi, hoaëc naêm möôi ngöôøi, hoaëc möôøi ngöôøi,

18:22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

18:22 ñaëng xeùt ñoaùn daân söï haèng ngaøy. Neáu coù vieäc can heä lôùn, hoï haõy giaûi leân cho con; coøn nhöõng vieäc nhoû moïn, chính hoï haõy xeùt ñoaùn laáy. Haõy san bôùt gaùnh cho nheï; ñaëng hoï chia gaùnh cuøng con.

18:23 If you shall do this thing, and God command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

18:23 Neáu con laøm vieäc naày, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ban lònh cho con, con chaéc seõ chòu noåi ñöôïc, vaø caû daân söï naáy seõ ñeán choã mình bình yeân.

18:24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

18:24 Moâi-se vaâng lôøi oâng gia mình, laøm y nhö loïi ñieàu ngöôøi ñaõ daïy.

18:25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

18:25 Vaäy, Moâi-se beøn choïn trong caû Y-sô-ra-eân nhöõng ngöôøi taøi naêng, laäp leân treân daân söï, laøm tröôûng cai trò, hoaëc ngaøn ngöôøi, hoaëc traêm ngöôøi, hoaëc naêm möôi ngöôøi, hoaëc möôøi ngöôøi;

18:26 And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

18:26 hoï xeùt ñoaùn daân söï haèng ngaøy. Caùc vieäc khoù hoï giaõi leân cho Moâi-se; nhöng chính hoï xeùt laáy caùc vieäc nhoû.

18:27 And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

18:27 Ñoaïn, Moâi-se ñeå cho oâng gia mình trôû veà xöù ngöôøi.

19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

19:1 Thaùng thöù ba, sau khi ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, trong ngaøy ñoù daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán nôi ñoàng vaéng Si-na -i.

19:2 Töø Reâ-phi-ñim ra ñi, ñeán nôi ñoàng vaéng Si-na -i, ñoùng traïi taïi ñoù, ñoái dieän cuøng nuùi.

19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

19:3 Moâi-se beøn leân ñeán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû treân nuùi goïi ngöôøi maø phaùn raèng: Ngöôi haõy noùi nhö vaày cho nhaø Gia-coáp, vaø toû ñieàu naày cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân:

19:4 All of you have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

19:5 Now therefore, if all of you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then all of you shall be an exclusive treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

19:5 Vaäy, baây giôø, neáu caùc ngöôi vaâng lôøi ta vaø giöõ söï giao öôùc ta, thì trong muoân daân, caùc ngöôi seõ thuoäc rieâng veà ta, vì caû theá gian ñeàu thuoäc veà ta.

19:6 And all of you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.

19:6 Caùc ngöôi seõ thaønh moät nöôùc thaày teá leã, cuøng moät daân toäc thaùnh cho ta. Baáy nhieâu lôøi ñoù ngöôi seõ noùi laïi cuøng daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

19:7 Moâi-se ñeán ñoøi caùc tröôûng laõo trong daân söï, thuaät cuøng hoï moïi lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ daën mình noùi laïi.

19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD has spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:8 Caû daân söï ñoàng thinh ñaùp raèng: Chuùng toâi xin laøm moïi vieäc Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën. Moâi-se beøn thuaät laïi lôøi cuûa daân söï cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

19:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:9 Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Naày, ta seõ ôû trong ñaùm maây mòt mòt ñi ñeán ngöôi; ñaëng khi naøo ta phaùn cuøng ngöôi, thì daân söï nghe vaø tin caäy ngöôi luoân luoân. Ñoaïn, Moâi-se ñem lôøi cuûa daân söï thöa laïi cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,

19:10 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn phaùn cuøng Moâi-se raèng: Haõy ñi ñeán cuøng daân söï, khieán daân giöõ mình thaùnh saïch ngaøy nay vaø ngaøy mai, cuøng phaûi giaët aùo xoáng mình.

19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

19:12 Vaû, ngöôi haõy phaân ñònh giôùi haïn cho daân söï ôû chung quanh nuùi, vaø daën raèng: Khaù giöõ mình ñöøng leo leân nuùi, hoaëc ñuïng ñeán chaân; heã keû naøo ñuïng ñeán thì seõ bò xöû töû.

19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

19:20 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va giaùng-laâm treân choùt nuùi Si-na -i, ñoøi Moâi-se leân, Moâi-se beøn leân.

19:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

19:21 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Haõy xuoáng caám daân söï ñöøng xoâng pha ñeán gaàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø nhìn, e nhieàu ngöôøi trong boïn phaûi cheát chaêng.

19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

19:23 Moâi-se thöa cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Daân söï chaúng ñöôïc leân nuùi Si-na -i ñaâu, vì Ngaøi coù caám chuùng toâi maø phaùn raèng: Haõy phaân ñònh giôùi haïn chung quanh nuùi, vaø phaân bieät nôi ñoù laø ñaát thaùnh.

19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get you down, and you shall come up, you, and Aaron with you: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

19:24 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Haõy ñi xuoáng, roài ñem A-roân leân cuøng ngöôi, song nhöõng thaày teá leã vaø daân söï chôù xoâng pha ñaëng leân ñeán gaàn Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, e Ngaøi haïi hoï chaêng.

20:5 Ngöôi chôù quì laïy tröôùc caùc hình töôïng ñoù, vaø cuõng ñöøng haàu vieäc chuùng noù; vì ta laø Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôi, töùc laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi kî taø, heã ai gheùt ta, ta seõ nhôn toäi toå phuï phaït laïi con chaùu ñeán ba boán ñôøi,
