1:1 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)
1:1 Xaûy trong ñôøi vua A-sueâ-ru, töùc A-sueâ-ru kia maø cai trò treân moät traêm hai möôi baûy tænh, töø Aán-ñoä cho ñeán EÂ-thi-oâ-bi,
1:2 That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,
1:2 khi vua ngöï ngoâi vöông quoác taïi Su-sô, kinh ñoâ ngöôøi,
1:3 In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
1:3 nhaèm naêm thöù ba ñôøi trò vì mình, ngöôøi baøy ra moät böõa tieäc yeán cho heát thaûy quan tröôûng vaø thaàn boäc mình. Ñaïo binh nöôùc Phe-rô-sô vaø Meâ-ñi, caùc böïc sang troïng cuøng caùc quan cai cuûa haøng tænh ñeàu ôû tröôùc maët ngöôøi.
1:4 When he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.
1:4 Trong nhieàu ngaøy, töùc trong moät traêm taùm möôi ngaøy, ngöôøi baøy toû söï giaøu coù sang troïng cuûa nöôùc vaø söï oai nghi röïc rôõ cuûa ngöôøi.
1:5 And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;
1:5 Khi caùc ngaøy ñoù ñaõ qua roài, vua baøy ñaõi heát daân söï ñöông coù ôû taïi kinh ñoâ Su-sô, hoaëc lôùn hay nhoû, moät cuoäc yeán tieäc baûy ngaøy, taïi nôi haønh lang cuûa thöôïng uyeån.
1:6 Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble.
1:6 Tö beà coù treo maøn tröôùng saéc traéng, xanh laù caây, vaø xanh da trôøi, duøng daây gai maøu traéng vaø maøu tím coät vaøo voøng baïc vaø truï caåm thaïch; caùc giöôøng saäp baèng vaøng vaø baïc, ñaët treân neàn loùt caåm thaïch ñoû vaø traéng, ngoïc phuïng vaø caåm thaïch ñen.
1:7 And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.
1:7 Ngöôøi ta ñaõi uoáng baèng cheùn vaøng, nhöõng cheùn nhieàu thöù khaùc nhau, vaø coù ngöï töûu raát nhieàu, cho xöùng ñaùng theo böïc giaøu sang cuûa vua.
1:8 And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man's pleasure.
1:8 Ngöôøi ta uoáng röôïu tuøy theo lònh truyeàn chaúng ai eùp phaûi uoáng; vì vua ñaõ truyeàn caùc thaàn teå cung ñieän haõy laøm tuøy yù cuûa moãi ngöôøi muoán.
1:9 Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
1:9 Hoaøng haäu Vaû-thi cuõng ñaõi moät böõa tieäc cho caùc ngöôøi nöõ taïi cung vua A-sueâ-ru.
1:10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
1:10 Qua ngaøy thöù baûy, vua uoáng röôïu, höùng loøng roài, beøn truyeàn cho Meâ-hu-man, Bít-tha, Haït-boâ-na, Bieác-tha, A-baùc-tha, Xeâ-thaït vaø Caït-caùch, töùc baûy hoaïn quan haàu-chöïc vua A-sueâ-ru,
1:11 To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to show the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
1:11 daãn hoaøng haäu Vaû-thi ñeán tröôùc maët vua, ñoäi maõo trieàu hoaøng haäu, ñaëng toû ra pheát lòch söï cuûa baø cho daân söï vaø cho caùc quan tröôûng xem thaáy; vì töôùng maïo baø raát toát ñeïp.
1:12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very angry, and his anger burned in him.
1:12 Nhöng hoaøng haäu Vaû-thi khoâng khöùng ñeán theo maïng cuûa vua truyeàn bôûi caùc hoaïn quan. Vua beøn noåi giaän döõ, phaùt noùng naû trong loøng.
1:13 Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment:
1:13 Vaû, thöôøng khi vua coù söï gì, beøn hoûi baøn caùc ngöôøi roõ luaät thoâng phaùp.
1:14 And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
1:14 Nhöõng quan keá caän vua hôn heát laø Caït-seâ-na, Seâ-thaït, Aùt-ma-tha, Ta-reâ-si, Meâ-re, Maït-seâ-na, Meâ-mu-can, töùc baûy quan tröôûng cuûa nöôùc Phe-rô-sô vaø Meâ-ñi, thöôøng thaáy maët vua vaø ngoài böïc cao nhöùt trong nöôùc.
1:15 What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she has not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
1:15 Baáy giôø vua hoûi chuùng raèng: Hoaøng haäu Vaû-thi chaúng coù vaâng theo maïng lònh cuûa vua A-sueâ-ru caäy caùc hoaïn quan truyeàn cho; vaäy thì theo luaät phaùp chuùng ta phaûi xöû baø theå naøo?
1:16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen has not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
1:16 Meâ-mu-can thöa tröôùc maët vua vaø caùc quan tröôûng raèng: Vaû-thi chaúng nhöõng laøm maát loøng vua maø thoâi, nhöng laïi heát thaûy nhöõng quan tröôûng, vaø daân söï ôû trong caùc tænh cuûa vua A-sueâ-ru;
1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
1:17 vì vieäc naày ñoàn ra trong caùc ngöôøi nöõ, khieán hoï khinh bæ choàng mình, noùi raèng vua A-sueâ-ru coù bieåu daãn hoaøng haäu Vaû-thi ñeán tröôùc maët vua, maø naøng khoâng coù ñeán.
1:18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.
1:18 Ngaøy nay, caùc vôï quan tröôûng Phe-rô-sô vaø Meâ-ñi maø ñaõ hay vieäc hoaøng haäu ñaõ laøm, cuõng seõ noùi moät caùch vôùi choàng mình, roài seõ coù laém ñieàu khinh bæ vaø côn giaän.
1:19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
1:19 Neáu ñeïp yù vua, khaù giaùng chieáu chæ, cheùp vaøo trong saùch luaät phaùp cuûa nöôùc Phe-rô-sô vaø Meâ-ñi, chaúng heà hay ñoåi ñaëng, raèng Vaû-thi seõ chaúng coøn vaøo ñeán tröôùc maët vua A-sueâ-ru nöõa; vua khaù ban vò hoaøng haäu cuûa Vaû-thi cho moät ngöôøi khaùc toát hôn naøng.
1:20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
1:20 Khi chieáu chæ cuûa vua ñaõ laøm ñöôïc truyeàn khaép trong nöôùc, vì nöôùc thaät roäng lôùn, thì caùc ngöôøi vôï taát phaûi toân kính choàng mình, töø ngöôøi sang troïng cho ñeán keû nhoû heøn.
1:21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:
1:21 Lôøi naày ñeïp yù vua vaø caùc quan tröôûng; vua beøn laøm theo lôøi cuûa Meâ-mu-can ñaõ luaän,
1:22 For he sent letters into all the king's provinces, into every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language, that every man should bear rule in his own house, and that it should be published according to the language of every people.
1:22 haï chieáu cho caùc tænh cuûa vua, theo chöõ vaø tieáng cuûa moãi tænh moãi daân, maø baûo raèng moãi ngöôøi ñôøn oâng phaûi laøm chuû nhaø mình, vaø laáy tieáng boån xöù mình maø daïy bieåu.
2:1 After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
2:1 Sau caùc vieäc aáy, khi côn thaïnh noä vua A-sueâ-ru ñaõ nguoâi laïi, thì ngöôøi beøn nhôù laïi Vaû-thi, vaø vieäc naøng ñaõ laøm, cuøng söï ñaõ chæ ñònh cho naøng.
2:2 Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
2:2 Caùc caän thaàn vua thöa raèng: Khaù tìm cho vua nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ ñoàng trinh toát ñeïp;
2:3 And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
2:3 vaø xin vua haõy sai khieán nhöõng quan ñi khaép caùc tænh cuûa nöôùc vua, nhoùm hieäp heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ ñoàng trinh toát ñeïp, ñeán Su-sô, laø kinh ñoâ, daãn vaøo haäu cung, vaø giao phoù cho Heâ-gai, hoaïn quan cuûa vua, thaùi giaùm nhöõng cung phi; roài phaùt cho chuùng nhöõng höông phaåm caàn duøng cho söï taåy ueá;
2:4 And let the maiden which pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
2:4 heã con gaùi treû naøo ñöôïc ñeïp loøng vua khaù laäp laøm hoaøng haäu theá cho Vaû-thi. Lôøi aáy ñeïp loøng vua; vua beøn laøm nhö vaäy.
2:5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
2:5 ÔÛ taïi kinh ñoâ Su-sô, coù moät ngöôøi Giu-ña, teân laø Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, con trai cuûa Giai-rô, chaùu cuûa Si-meâ -i, chaét cuûa Kích, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min,
2:6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
2:6 ngöôøi bò baét daãn khoûi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vôùi nhöõng keû bò baét laøm phu tuø ñoàng moät löôït vôùi Gieâ-coâ-nia, vua Giu-ña, maø Neâ-bu-caùt-neát-sa, vua Ba-by-loâ, ñaõ baét laøm phu tuø.
2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
2:7 Ngöôøi baûo döôõng Ha-ña-xa (töùc EÂ-xô-teâ) con gaùi cuûa caäu mình, vì naøng khoâng coù cha meï. Ngöôøi thieáu nöõ aáy laø toát töôi hình daïng, ñeïp ñeõ dung nhan. Vaäy, khi cha meï naøng ñaõ qua ñôøi roài, Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ nhaän naøng laøm con gaùi mình.
2:8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
2:8 Xaûy ra khi maïng lònh cuûa vua vaø chieáu chæ ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc roõ bieát, khi coù nhieàu con gaùi treû ñaõ nhoùm hieäp taïi kinh ñoâ Su-sô, giao phoù cho Heâ-gai chöôûng quaûn, thì EÂ-xô-teâ cuõng ñöôïc ñem ñeán cung vua, giao phoù cho Heâ-gai, quan thaùi giaùm caùc cung phi.
2:9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.
2:9 Con gaùi treû ñoù ñeïp loøng Heâ-gai vaø ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët ngöôøi; ngöôøi laät ñaät ban ho naøng nhöõng höông phaåm caàn duøng söï taåy ueá, vaø nhöõng vaät nhöït duïng cuûa naøng, cung caáp cho naøng baûy con gaùi tô choïn laáy trong cung vua; ñoaïn Heâ-gai dôøi naøng vôùi caùc con gaùi tô vaøo trong moät caùi phoøng toát nhöùt cuûa cung phi taàn.
2:10 Esther had not showed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not show it.
2:10 EÂ-xô-teâ chaúng toû ra daân mình vaø queâ höông mình; vì Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ coù daën naøng ñöøng toû cho ai bieát.
2:11 And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.
2:11 Moãi ngaøy, Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñi daïo chôi tröôùc saân cuûa caùc cung phi taàn, ñeå cho bieát EÂ-xô-teâ coù baèng-yeân chaêng, vaø naøng seõ ra theå naøo.
2:12 Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to know, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)
2:12 Moãi con gaùi treû chieáu theo leä ñònh maø doïn mình cho tinh saïch trong möôøi hai thaùng: saùu thaùng duøng daàu moät döôïc, saùu thaùng duøng thuoác thôm, cuøng nhöõng höông phaåm caàn duøng veà söï taåy ueá. Sau kyø aáy ñaõ maõn roài, moãi con gaùi treû theo phieân thöù maø ñeán cuøng vua A-sueâ-ru.
2:13 Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king's house.
2:13 Hoï vaøo chaàu vua nhö vaày: Phaøm vaät gì naøng muoán ñem theo töø cung phi taàn ñeán cung ñieän vua, thì hoï lieàn ban cho.
2:14 In the evening she went, and on the next day she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
2:14 Buoåi toái thì naøng ñeán, coøn sôùm mai trôû veà haàu cung thöù nhì, coù Sa-aùch-ga laø hoaïn quan cuûa vua, thaùi giaùm caùc phi taàn, coi soùc. Naøng khoâng heà vaøo cung vua nöõa, mieãn laø naøng ñeïp yù vua, vaø ñöôïc vua ñoøi teân mình.
2:15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
2:15 Khi phieân EÂ-xô-teâ, con gaùi cuûa A-bi-hai, caäu cuûa Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, laø ngöôøi ñaõ nhaän naøng laøm con, ñaõ ñeán ñeå ñi vaøo cuøng vua, thì naøng chaúng caàu xin gì heát, ngoaïi tröø ñieàu Heâ-gai, hoaïn quan vua, thaùi-giam caùc phi taàn, ñaõ ñònh cho. EÂ-xô-teâ ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët moïi ngöôøi thaáy naøng.
2:16 So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
2:16 Aáy vaäy, E-xô-teâ ñöôïc ñöa ñeán cuøng vua A-sueâ-ru trong cung vua, nhaèm thaùng möôøi (laø thaùng Teâ-beát) naêm thöù baûy ñôøi ngöôøi trò vì.
2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
2:17 Vua thöông meán EÂ-xô-teâ nhieàu hôn caùc cung nöõ khaùc, vaø naøng ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua hôn nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ ñoàng trinh; vua ñoäi maõo trieàu thieân treân ñaàu naøng, vaø laäp naøng laøm hoaøng haäu theá cho Vaû-thi.
2:18 Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
2:18 Ñoaïn, vua baøy moät tieäc lôùn ñaõi caùc quan tröôûng vaø thaàn boäc mình, töùc tieäc yeán cuûa baø EÂ-xô-teâ; vua roäng tha thueá cho caùc tænh, vaø ban thöôûng xöùng ñaùng theo böïc giaøu sang cuûa vua.
2:19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
2:19 Khi caùc ngöôøi nöõ ñoàng trinh hieäp laïi laàn thöù nhì, thì Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ngoài ôû nôi cöûa vua.
2:20 Esther had not yet showed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like when she was brought up with him.
2:20 EÂ-xô-teâ, y nhö lôøi Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñaõ daën mình, khoâng toû cho ai bieát queâ höông vaø toâng toäc mình; vì EÂ-xô-teâ laøm theo ñieàu Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ daën naøng, nhö khi naøng coøn ñöôïc baûo döôõng nôi nhaø ngöôøi.
2:21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were angry, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.
2:21 Trong caùc ngaøy ñoù, Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñöông ngoài nôi cöûa vua, coù hai hoaïn quan cuûa vua, trong boïn keû giöõ cöûa, laø Bích-than vaø Theâ-reát, noåi giaän toan möu tra tay vaøo vua A-sueâ-ru.
2:22 And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.
2:22 Vieäc aáy thaáu ñeán Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ bieát, ngöôøi hoïc laïi cho hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ, baø EÂ-xô-teâ nhôn teân Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ taâu laïi cho vua.
2:23 And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.
2:23 Ngöôøi ta beøn tra haïch vieäc ñoù, thaáy quaû thaät nhö vaäy, roài caû hai ñeàu bò treo nôi caây hình; ñoaïn hoï cheùp ñieàu ñoù trong saùch söû kyù taïi tröôùc maët vua.
3:1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
3:1 Sau caùc vieäc aáy, vua A-sueâ-ru thaêng chöùc cho Ha-man, con trai cuûa Ham-meâ-ña-tha, ngöôøi A-gaùt, vaø laøm noåi danh ngöôøi, ñaët ngoâi ngöôøi treân caùc quan tröôûng ôû cung vua.
3:2 And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
3:2 Heát thaûy thaàn boäc ôû taïi nôi cöûa vua ñeàu cuùi xuoáng laïy Ha-man; vì veà phaàn ngöôøi, vua ñaõ truyeàn baûo nhö vaäy. Nhöng Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ khoâng cuùi xuoáng, cuõng khoâng laïy ngöôøi.
3:3 Then the king's servants, which were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why trangress you the king's commandment?
3:3 Caùc thaàn boäc ôû nôi cöûa vua beøn noùi vôùi Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ raèng: Côù sao oâng phaïm maïng vua?
3:4 Now it came to pass, when they spoke daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai's matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
3:4 Xaûy vì chuùng noùi vôùi ngöôøi ngaøy naày qua ngaøy kia, maø ngöôøi chaúng khöùng nghe ñeán, thì chuùng caùo cho Ha-man hay, ñaëng thöû xem söï tình cuûa Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ coù thaéng chaêng, vì ngöôøi toû cho chuùng raèng mình laø ngöôøi Giu-ña.
3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
3:5 Khi Ha-man thaáy Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ khoâng cuùi xuoáng vaø khoâng laïy mình beøn noåi giaän döõ.
3:6 And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had showed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
3:6 Ngöôøi ta ñaõ hoïc cho Ha-man bieát Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, neân ngöôøi cho söï tra tay treân moät mình Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ laø moät söï nhoû moïn, ngöôøi beøn tìm möu gieát heát thaûy daân Giu-ña, laø toâng toäc cuûa Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ôû trong toaøn nöôùc A-sueâ-ru.
3:7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.
3:7 Thaùng Gieâng laø thaùng Ni-san, naêm thöù möôøi hai ñôøi vua A-sueâ-ru, ngöôøi ta boû Phu-rô, töùc laø boû thaêm, moãi ngaøy moãi thaùng, taïi tröôùc maët Ha-man, cho ñeán thaùng möôøi hai, laø thaùng A-ña.
3:8 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.
3:8 Ha-man taâu vôùi vua A-sueâ-ru raèng: Coù moät daân toäc taûn maûn, taûi raùc ra giöõa caùc daân toäc trong nhöõng tænh cuûa nöôùc vua: luaät phaùp cuûa chuùng noù khaùc hôn luaät phaùp cuûa caùc daân khaùc; laïi chuùng noù cuõng khoâng tuaân theo luaät phaùp cuûa vua; dung chuùng noù chaúng tieän cho vua.
3:9 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.
3:9 Neáu ñieàu ñoù vöøa yù vua, khaù giaùng chieáu chæ truyeàn tuyeät dieät chuùng noù ñi; roài toâi seõ caân möôøi ta laâng baïc phoù vaøo tay nhöõng quan ñoác tö ñeå ñem vaøo kho vua.
3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy.
3:10 Vua beøn coãi chieác nhaãn khoûi tay mình, trao cho Ha-man, con trai Ham-meâ-ña-tha, ngöôøi A-gaùt, keû cöøu ñòch daân Giu-ña.
3:11 And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to you, the people also, to do with them as it seems good to you.
3:11 Vua noùi vôùi Ha-man raèng: Baïc ñaõ ban cho ngöôi, daân söï cuõng phoù cho ngöôi, ñeå laøm ñieàu chi maëc yù ngöôi.
3:12 Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.
3:12 Thaùng gieâng, ngaøy möôøi ba, thì ñoøi nhöõng thaày thô kyù cuûa vua ñeán; roài tuøy theo moïi ñieàu Ha-man truyeàn daën, ngöôøi ta nhôn danh A-sueâ-ru vieát chieáu cho caùc quan traán thuû cuûa vua, cho caùc quan cai quaûn moãi tænh, vaø cho caùc tröôûng toäc cuûa moãi daân toäc, tænh naøo duøng chöõ naáy, daân toäc naøo theo thoå aâm naáy; ñoaïn hoï laáy chieác nhaãn cuûa vua maø ñoùng aán.
3:13 And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
3:13 Roài cho gôûi caùc thô bôûi lính traïm cho caùc tænh cuûa vua, ñaëng daïy bieåu raèng nhaèm ngaøy möôøi ba thaùng möôøi hai, töùc laø thaùng A-ña, phaûi tröø dieät, gieát cheát vaø laøm cho hö maát heát thaûy daân Giu-ña trong moät ngaøy ñoù, voâ luaän ngöôøi giaø keû treû, con nhoû hay laø ñôøn baø, vaø cöôùp giöït taøi saûn cuûa chuùng noù.
3:14 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.
3:14 Ñeå cho chieáu chæ ñöôïc tuyeân boá trong moãi tænh, coù boån sao luïc ñem rao cho caùc daân toäc bieát, haàu cho chuùng ñeàu saün saøng veà ngaøy ñoù.
3:15 The posts went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
3:15 Caùc lính traïm vaâng lònh vua voäi vaõ ñi ra. Chieáu chæ naày cuõng truyeàn taïi kinh ñoâ Su-sô. Ñoaïn, vua vaø Ha-man ngoài laïi uoáng röôïu, coøn thaønh Su-sô ñeàu hoaûng kinh.
4:1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
4:1 Vaû, khi Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ bieát heát moïi ñieàu aáy, beøn xeù aùo mình, maëc moät caùi bao vaø phuû tro, roài ñi ra giöõa thaønh, laáy tieáng lôùn keâu khoùc caùch cay ñaéng.
4:2 And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.
4:2 Ngöôøi cuõng ñi ñeán taän tröôùc cöûa vua; vì ai maëc caùi bao, bò caám khoâng cho vaøo cöûa cuûa vua.
4:3 And in every province, anywhere the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
4:3 Phaøm trong moãi tænh, nôi naøo maïng lònh vua vaø chieáu chæ ngöôøi ñaõ ñeán, thì trong daân Giu-ña beøn coù söï saàu thaûm, kieâng cöõ aên, khoùc loùc vaø keâu van; laïi coù nhieàu ngöôøi laáy bao vaø tro laøm giöôøng mình.
4:4 So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
4:4 Caùc naøng haàu vaø EÂ-xô-teâ vaø nhöõng hoaïn quan baø ñeàu ñeán thuaät laïi söï aáy cho baø; hoaøng haäu beøn buoàn raàu laém, gôûi quaàn aùo cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ maëc, ñeå loät bao gai khoûi mình ngöôøi; nhöng ngöôøi khoâng khöùng nhaän.
4:5 Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
4:5 Baáy giôø baø EÂ-xô-teâ goïi Ha-thaùc, moät hoaïn quan cuûa vua, maø vua ñaõ ñaët haàu chöïc baø, roài bieåu ngöôøi ñi ñeán Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ hoûi cho bieát coù vieäc gì, vaø nhaân sao coù vaäy.
4:6 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.
4:6 Ha-thaùc beøn ñi ra ñeán Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ taïi nôi phoá thaønh ôû tröôùc cöûa vua.
4:7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
4:7 Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ thuaät laïi moïi ñieàu ñaõ xaûy ñeán mình, vaø soá baïc Ha-man ñaõ höùa ñoùng vaøo kho vua ñaëng coù pheùp tuyeät dieät daân Giu-ña.
4:8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
4:8 Ngöôøi cuõng ñöa cho hoaïn quan moät boån sao luïc chieáu chæ ñaõ truyeàn ra taïi Su-sô ñaëng tuyeät dieät daân Giu-ña, ñeå hoaïn quan chæ cho baø EÂ-xô-teâ xem vaø bieát, cuøng bieåu ngöôøi khuyeân baø vaøo cuøng vua, tröôùc maët vua naøi xin ôn vua vaø caàu khaån giuøm cho daân toäc mình.
4:9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
4:9 Ha-thaùc beøn trôû veà thuaät laïi cho baø EÂ-xô-teâ moïi lôøi cuûa Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ.
4:10 Again Esther spoke unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
4:10 Baáy giôø baø EÂ-xô-teâ noùi vôùi Ha-thaùc, vaø sai ngöôøi noùi laïi vôùi Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ raèng:
4:11 All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
4:11 Caùc thaàn boäc vaø daân chuùng caùc tænh cuûa vua ñeàu bieát raèng heã ai, baát luaän nam hay nöõ, vaøo cuøng vua taïi noäi vieän, maø khoâng ñöôïc lònh vôøi, thì ai ñoù theo luaät ñaõ ñònh taát phaûi bò xöû töû ñi, mieãn laø ñöôïc vua giô caây phuû vieät vaøng ra, thì môùi soáng; nhöng ñaõ ba möôi ngaøy raøy toâi khoâng ñöôïc vôøi vaøo cung vua.
4:12 And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.
4:12 Ngöôøi ta thuaät laïi cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ caùc lôøi cuûa baø EÂ-xô-teâ.
4:13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with yourself that you shall escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.
4:13 Maïc-ñoâ-che bieåu ñaùp laïi cuøng baø EÂ-xô-teâ raèng: Chôù thaàm töôûng raèng ôû trong cung vua, ngöôøi seõ ñöôïc thoaùt khoûi phaûi hôn moïi ngöôøi Giu-ña khaùc;
4:14 For if you altogether hold your peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father's house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether you are come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
4:14 vì neáu ngöôi laøm thinh trong luùc naày, daân Giu-ña haún seõ ñöôïc tieáp trôï vaø giaûi cöùu bôûi caùch khaùc, coøn ngöôi vaø nhaø cha ngöôi ñeàu seõ bò hö maát; song naøo ai bieát raèng chaúng phaûi vì côù cô hoäi hieän luùc naày maø ngöôi ñöôïc vò hoaøng haäu sao?
4:15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
4:15 Baø EÂ-xô-teâ beøn bieåu ñaùp laïi cuøng Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ raèng:
4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast all of you for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
4:16 Haõy ñi nhoùm hieäp caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû taïi Su-sô, roài haõy vì toâi maø kieâng cöõ aên trong ba ngaøy vaø ñeâm, chôù aên hay uoáng gì heát; toâi vaø caùc naøng haàu cuûa toâi cuõng seõ kieâng cöõ aên nöõa; nhö vaäy, toâi seõ vaøo cuøng vua, laø vieäc traùi luaät phaùp; neáu toâi phaûi cheát thì toâi cheát.
4:17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
4:17 Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ beøn ñi, vaø laøm theo moïi ñieàu baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaõ daën bieåu mình.
5:1 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, opposite to the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, opposite to the gate of the house.
5:1 Ngaøy thöù ba, baø EÂ-xô-teâ maëc ñoà trieàu-phuïc, vaø ra chaàu ñöùng taïi noäi vieän, ñoái tröôùc cung ñieän vua. Vua ñöông ngöï treân ngoâi taïi trong cung ñieän tröôùc cöûa ñeàn.
5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
5:2 Vöøa khi vua thaáy hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ ñöùng chaàu nôi noäi vieän, thì baø ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua; vua giô ra cho baø EÂ-xô-teâ caây phuû vieät vaøng ôû nôi tay mình. Baø EÂ-xô-teâ laïi gaàn vaø rôø caây phuû vieät.
5:3 Then said the king unto her, What will you, queen Esther? and what is your request? it shall be even given you to the half of the kingdom.
5:3 Vua noùi vôùi baø raèng: Hôõi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ, ngöôi muoán chi? Caàu xin ñieàu gì? Daàu xin ñeán phaân nöûa nöôùc, cuõng seõ ban cho ngöôi.
5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.
5:4 EÂ-xô-teâ noùi: Neáu nhieäm yù vua, xin vua vaø Ha-man ngaøy nay haõy ñeán döï tieäc yeán maø toâi ñaõ doïn cho vua.
5:5 Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther has said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
5:5 Vua beøn baûo raèng: Haõy kíp vôøi Ha-man ñeán, ñaëng laøm y nhö hoaøng haäu ñaõ noùi. Ñoaïn, vua vaø Ha-man ñi ñeán döï tieäc yeán cuûa baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaõ doïn.
5:6 And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is your petition? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.
5:6 Trong luùc döï tieäc röôïu, vua hoûi baø EÂ-xô-teâ raèng: Naøng xin ñieàu gì? taát ta seõ nhaäm cho. Naøng caàu khaån vieäc gì? Daàu ñeán phaân nöûa nöôùc, cuõng seõ ban cho.
5:7 Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;
5:7 Baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaùp raèng: Naày ñieàu toâi caàu xin vaø söï toâi öôùc ao:
5:8 If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king has said.
5:8 Neáu toâi ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua, neáu vua laáy laøm thieän maø nhaäm lôøi toâi caàu xin vaø laøm ñieàu toâi ao öôùc, xin vua vaø Ha-man haõy ñeán döï tieäc yeán maø toâi seõ doïn, roài ngaøy mai toâi seõ laøm theo lôøi vua daïy bieåu.
5:9 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
5:9 Trong ngaøy ñoù, Ha-man ñi ra vui veû vaø loøng hôùn hôû. Nhöng khi Ha-man thaáy Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ôû nôi cöûa vua khoâng ñöùng daäy, cuõng khoâng chuyeån ñoäng vì mình, beøn ñaày daãy loøng giaän döõ Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ.
5:10 Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.
5:10 Daãu vaäy, Ha-man nín giaän laïi, trôû veà nhaø mình, sai ngöôøi goïi ñeán caùc baïn höõu vaø Xeâ-reát laø vôï mình.
5:11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
5:11 Ha-man thuaät laïi cho chuùng söï giaøu coù sang troïng mình. soá ñoâng con caùi mình, vaø moïi söï vua laøm cho mình ñöôïc sang caû, theå naøo vua caát mình cao hôn caùc quan tröôûng vaø thaàn boäc cuûa vua.
5:12 Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and tomorrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
5:12 Ha-man cuõng noùi: Tröø ra moät mình ta, hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ chaúng vôøi ai cuøng vua ñeán döï tieäc yeán cuûa baø ñaõ doïn; vaø ngaøy mai ta laïi ñöôïc môøi döï nôi nhaø ngöôøi vôùi vua.
5:13 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
5:13 Song moïi ñieàu ñoù chaúng ích gì cho ta caû heã laâu chöøng naøo ta thaáy Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, ngoài taïi cöûa vua.
5:14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak you unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go you in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
5:14 Xeâ-reát, vôï ngöôøi, vaø caùc baïn höõu ngöôøi ñeàu noùi raèng: Haõy bieåu döïng moät moäc hình, cao naêm möôi thöôùc; roài sôùm mai, haõy caàu vua khieán cho ngöôøi ta treo Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ taïi ñoù; ñoaïn oâng haõy khoaùi laïc ñi döï yeán tieäc cuøng vua. Ñieàu ñoù laáy laøm ñeïp loøng Ha-man; ngöôøi beøn truyeàn döïng caây moäc hình.
6:1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
6:1 Ñeâm ñoù, vua khoâng nguû ñöôïc; neân truyeàn ñem saùch söû kyù, ñoïc taïi tröôùc maët vua.
6:2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
6:2 Ngöôøi ta thaáy coù cheùp raèng Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñaõ toû ra möu cuûa Bích-than vaø Theâ-reát, hai hoaïn quan cuûa vua, trong boïn keû giöõ cöûa, toan tra tay vaøo vua A-sueâ-ru.
6:3 And the king said, What honour and dignity has been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
6:3 Vua noùi: Vì coâng söï aáy, Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ coù ñöôïc söï vinh hieån vaø töôùc vò gì chaêng? Caùc ngöôøi caän thaàn cuûa vua ñaùp raèng: Ngöôøi chaúng ñöôïc gì heát.
6:4 And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
6:4 Vua hoûi: Ai ôû nôi vieän trung? Vaû, Ha-man ñeán ngoaøi vieän cuûa cung vua, ñaëng caàu vua truyeàn treo coå Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ nôi moäc hình, maø ngöôøi ñaõ döïng cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ.
6:5 And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman stands in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
6:5 Caùc thaàn boäc cuûa vua thöa raèng: Kìa, Ha-man ñöùng nôi vieän trung. Vua beøn noùi: Ngöôøi haõy vaøo.
6:6 So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
6:6 Ha-man beøn vaøo. Vua noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Phaûi laøm chi cho ngöôøi naøo vua muoán toân troïng? Ha-man nghó thaàm raèng: Vua haù muoán toân troïng ngöôøi naøo khaùc hôn ta sao?
6:7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honour,
6:7 Vaäy, Ha-man beøn taâu raèng: Heã ngöôøi naøo vua muoán toân troïng,
6:8 Let the royal apparel be brought which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
6:8 khaù ñem cho aùo trieàu cuûa vua maëc, ngöïa cuûa vua côõi, vaø ñoäi maõo trieàu thieân vua treân ñaàu ngöôøi ñoù;
6:9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man likewise whom the king delights to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.
6:9 aùo trieàu vaø ngöïa thì haõy giao vaøo tay cuûa moät trieàu thaàn toái toân cuûa vua, ñeå maëc cho ngöôøi maø vua muoán toân troïng, daãn ngöôøi côõi ngöïa daïo chôi caùc ñöôøng phoá cuûa thaønh noäi, vaø la leân raèng: Ngöôøi maø vua muoán toân troïng ñöôïc ñaõi nhö vaäy.
6:10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sits at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.
6:10 Vua noùi vôùi Ha-man raèng: Haõy mau mau ñem aùo trieàu vaø ngöïa, y nhö lôøi ngöôi noùi, maø maëc cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, ñöông ngoài taïi nôi cöûa vua; chôù boû qua gì heát veà moïi ñieàu ngöôøi ñaõ noùi.
6:11 Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour.
6:11 Ha-man beøn laáy aùo trieàu vaø ngöïa, maëc cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, roài daãn ngöôøi côõi ngöïa daïo qua caùc ñöôøng phoá cuûa thaønh noäi, maø hoâ leân tröôùc maët ngöôøi raèng: Ngöôøi maø vua muoán toân troïng ñöôïc ñaõi nhö vaäy!
6:12 And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
6:12 Ñoaïn, Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ trôû veà cöûa vua. Coøn Ha-man laät ñaät trôû veà nhaø mình, thaûm buoàn vaø truøm ñaàu laïi.
6:13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against him, but shall surely fall before him.
6:13 Ha-man thuaät laïi cho Xeâ-reát, vôï mình, vaø caùc baïn höõu mình hay moïi ñieàu ñaõ xaûy ñeán cho mình. Khi aáy caùc ngöôøi khoân ngoan vaø Xeâ-reát, vôï ngöôøi, noùi raèng: Oâng ñaõ khôûi moøi sa baïi tröôùc maët Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ roài; neáu haén quaû thuoäc veà doøng doõi Giu-ña, thì oâng seõ chaúng thaéng haún ñöôïc ñaâu, nhöng seõ sa baïi quaû haún tröôùc maët ngöôøi.
6:14 And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
6:14 Khi chuùng coøn ñöông noùi chuyeän vôùi ngöôøi, caùc hoaïn quan cuûa vua ñeán, laät ñaät ñöa Ha-man ñeán döï tieäc yeán maø baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaõ doïn.
7:1 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
7:1 Vaäy, vua vaø Ha-man ñeán döï tieäc röôïu vôùi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ.
7:2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is your petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
7:2 Ngaøy thöù hai, trong khi döï tieäc röôïu, vua cuõng noùi vôùi baø EÂ-xô-teâ raèng: Hôõi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ, ngöôøi muoán xin söï gì? taát seõ ban cho ngöôi; muoán caàu gì? daàu cho ñeán phaân nöûa nöôùc, taát cuõng ban cho.
7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
7:3 Hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ thöa laïi raèng: Oâi vua! neáu toâi ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua, vaø neáu vua vöøa yù, xin vua haõy nhaäm lôøi caàu khaån toâi maø ban maïng soáng cho toâi, vaø theo söï naøi xin toâi maø ban cho toâi daân toäc toâi.
7:4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
7:4 Vì toâi vaø daân toäc toâi ñaõ bò baùn ñeå huûy dieät, gieát cheát, vaø laøm cho hö maát ñi. Vaû, neáu chuùng toâi bò baùn ñeå laøm noâ leä, taát toâi ñaõ nín laëng, maëc daàu keû thuø nghòch chaúng boài thöôøng söï thieät haïi cho vua laïi ñöôïc.
7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
7:5 Vua A-sueâ-ru noùi vôùi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ raèng: Keû daùm toan loøng laøm nhö vaäy laø ai, vaø noù ôû ñaâu?
7:6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
7:6 Baø EÂ-xô-teâ thöa: Keû cöøu thuø, aáy laø Ha-man ñoäc aùc kia. Ha-man beøn laáy laøm khieáp vía tröôùc maët vua vaø hoaøng haäu.
7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
7:7 Vua noåi thaïnh noä, ñöùng daäy khoûi böõa tieäc, ñi ra nôi ngöï vieän. Coøn Ha-man vì thaáy roõ vua nhaát ñònh giaùng hoïa cho mình, beøn ôû laïi naøi khaån hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ cöùu sanh maïng mình.
7:8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
7:8 Khi vua ôû ngoaøi ngöï vieän trôû vaøo nhaø tieäc, thì Ha-man ñaõ phuïc döôùi gheá daøi nôi baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñöông ngoài. Vua beøn noùi: Trong cung taïi tröôùc maët ta, noù coøn daùm laêng nhuïc hoaøng haäu sao? Lôøi vöøa ra khoûi mieäng vua, ngöôøi ta lieàn che maët Ha-man laïi.
7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, stands in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
7:9 Haït-boâ-na, moät hoaïn quan chaàu chöïc vua, raèng: Kìa, caây moäc hình, cao naêm möôi thöôùc, maø Ha-man ñaõ saém döïng taïi trong nhaø mình cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, laø ngöôøi ñaõ noùi trung tín ñeå cöùu vua. Vua raèng: Haõy treo noù leân ñoù!
7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
7:10 Ngöôøi ta beøn treo Ha-man nôi moäc hình maø haén ñaõ döïng leân cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ. Roài côn giaän cuûa vua beøn nguoâi ñi.
8:1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
8:1 Ngaøy ñoù, vua A-sueâ-ru ban cho hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ caùi nhaø cuûa Ha-man, keû öùc hieáp daân Giu-ña. Coøn Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñi vaøo tröôùc maët vua; vì baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaõ baøy toû ngöôøi laø thaân thuoäc mình.
8:2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
8:2 Vua coåi chieác nhaãn maø ngöôøi ñaõ laáy nôi Ha-man vaø ban cho Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ. Baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñaët Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ treân nhaø Ha-man.
8:3 And Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
8:3 Baø EÂ-xô-teâ laïi noùi tröôùc maët vua, vaø phuïc xuoáng döôùi chôn ngöôøi maø khoùc loùc, caàu xin vua dieät möu aùc maø Ha-man, ngöôøi A-gaùt, ñaõ toan yù haïi daân Giu-ña.
8:4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,
8:4 Vua ñöa caây phuû vieät vaøng ra cho baø EÂ-xô-teâ. Ñoaïn, baø choåi daäy vaø ñöùng tröôùc maët vua,
8:5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces:
8:5 maø raèng: Neáu vöøa yù vua, neáu toâi ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua, neáu vua laáy vieäc aáy laøm tieän ích, vaø toâi ñöôïc ñeïp yù vua, thì xin vua haõy haï chieáu ñaëng baõi caùc thô möu meïo cuûa Ha-man, con trai Ham-meâ-ña-tha, ngöôøi A-gaùt, vieát thö ñaëng truyeàn gieát nhöõng daân Giu-ña ôû trong caùc tænh cuûa vua.
8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?
8:6 Vì nôõ naøo toâi thaáy ñöôïc tai naïn xaûy ñeán cho daân toäc toâi, vaø loøng naøo nôõ xem ñöôïc söï huûy dieät doøng doõi toâi?
8:7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
8:7 Vua A-sueâ noùi vôùi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ vaø Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, raèng: Naày ta ñaõ ban cho baø EÂ-xô-teâ nhaø cuûa Ha-man, coøn haén, ngöôøi ta ñaõ xöû treo moäc hình, bôûi vì haén ñaõ tra tay ra laøm haïi ngöôøi Giu-ña.
8:8 Write all of you also for the Jews, as it likes you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.
8:8 Vaäy, hai ngöôi cuõng haõy nhôn danh vua maø vieát veà daân Giu-ña ñieàu gì vöøa yù hai ngöôi, roài laáy chieác nhaãn cuûa vua maø aán daáu. Vì moät tôø chieáu chæ naøo vieát nhôn danh vua vaø aán daáu vôùi chieác nhaãn cuûa vua khoâng theå baõi ñöôïc.
8:9 Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.
8:9 Baáy giôø, nhaèm thaùng ba, laø thaùng Si-van, ngaøy hai möôi ba; nhöõng thaày thô kyù ñöôïc goïi vaøo, hoï y theo moïi ñieàu Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ daïy bieåu maø vieát cho daân Giu-ña, caùc quan traán thuû, caùc quan cai quaûn vaø nhöõng ñaàu tröôûng cuûa caùc tænh, töø Aán-ñoä cho ñeán EÂ-thi-oâ-bi, töùc moät traêm hai möôi baûy tænh, vieát cho tænh naøo duøng chöõ naáy, cho daân toäc naøo theo thoå aâm naáy, vaø cho daân Giu-ña, thì theo chöõ vaø tieáng cuûa hoï.
8:10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries:
8:10 Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ vieát nhôn danh vua A-sueâ-ru vaø aán daáu baèng chieác nhaãn cuûa vua; roài sai lính traïm ñem thô ñi côõi ngöïa haêng vaø ngöïa noøi, bôûi ngöïa ñeå gioáng sanh ra.
8:11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,
8:11 Chieáu chæ aáy toû raèng vua ban pheùp cho daân Giu-ña ôû trong caùc tænh caùc thaønh cuûa nöôùc A-sueâ-ru hieäp laïi
8:12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.
8:12 noäi trong moät ngaøy, laø ngaøy möôøi ba thaùng möôøi hai, töùc laø thaùng A-ña, ñaëng binh vöïc sanh maïng mình, tuyeät dieät, ñaùnh gieát, vaø laøm cho hö maát quyeàn naêng cuûa daân cöøu ñòch toan haõm hieáp mình, vôï vaø con caùi mình, cuøng cho pheùp ñoaït laáy taøi saûn cuûa chuùng noù.
8:13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.
8:13 Ñeå cho chieáu chæ ñöôïc coâng boá trong moãi tænh, moät tôø sao luïc chieáu ñem rao cho caùc daân toäc bieát, haàu cho ngöôøi Giu-ña saün saøng veà ngaøy ñoù, maø traû thuø caùc cöøu ñòch mình.
8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
8:14 Vaäy nhöõng lính traïm côõi ngöïa haêng vaø ngöïa noøi, vaâng maïng vua thuùc giuïc laät ñaät ñi. Ñoaïn chieáu chæ aáy ñöôïc truyeàn ra trong kinh ñoâ Su-sô.
8:15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
8:15 Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ töø tröôùc maët vua trôû ra, maëc ñoà trieàu phuïc xanh vaø traéng, ñoäi moät caùc maõo trieàu thieân lôùn baèng vaøng, vaø maëc moät caùi aùo daøi baèng boá gai mòn maøu tím; thaønh Su-sô caát tieáng reo möøng vaø hôùn hôû.
8:16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.
8:16 Veà phaàn daân Giu-ña, thì coù söï saùng suûa, vui veû, khoaùi laïc vaø vinh hieån.
8:17 And in every province, and in every city, anywhere the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
8:17 Trong moãi tænh moãi thaønh, phaøm nôi naøo coù maïng lònh vaø chieáu chæ cuûa vua thaáu ñeán, thì coù söï vui möøng vaø söï khoaùi laïc cho daân Giu-ña, böõa tieäc yeán vaø moät ngaøy aên leã. Coù nhieàu keû trong caùc daân toäc cuûa xöù nhaäp boïn laïi vôùi daân Giu-ña; bôûi vì chuùng noù baét sôï haõi daân Giu-ña laém.
9:1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
9:1 Thaùng möôøi hai laø thaùng A-ña, ngaøy möôøi ba, khi haàu gaàn ngaøy giôø phaûi thi haønh maïng lònh vaø chieáu chæ cuûa vua, töùc nhaèm ngaøy aáy maø keû cöøu ñòch daân Giu-ña ham hoá laán löôùt hoï (nhöng vieäc ñaõ ñoåi traùi ñi, chaùnh caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña ñoù laïi laán löôùt nhöõng keû gheùt mình),
9:2 The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
9:2 thì daân Giu-ña hieäp laïi taïi caùc thaønh, trong khaép caùc tænh cuûa vua A-sueâ-ru, ñaëng tra tay vaøo nhöõng keû tìm laøm haïi mình; chaúng coù ai choáng traû noåi chuùng, bôûi vì caùc daân toäc baét sôï haõi daân Giu-ña laém.
9:3 And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
9:3 Caùc ñaàu tröôûng cuûa nhöõng tænh, caùc quan traán thuû, caùc quan cai quaûn, cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi coi vieäc vua, ñeàu giuùp ñôõ daân Giu-ña, vì hoï kính sôï Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ.
9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
9:4 Vì Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ voán cao troïng trong cung vua, danh tieáng ngöôøi ñoàn ra khaép caùc tænh, bôûi ngöôøi Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ caøng ngaøy caøng cao troïng.
9:5 Thus the Jews stroke all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.
9:5 Daân Giu-ña haõm ñaùnh caùc thuø nghòch mình baèng muõi göôm, gieát cheát vaø tuyeät dieät chuùng noù; phaøm keû naøo gheùt hoï, thì hoï ñaõi theo maëc yù mình muoán.
9:6 And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
9:6 Taïi kinh ñoâ Su-sô, daân Giu-ña ñaùnh gieát naêm traêm ngöôøi,
9:7 And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
9:7 vaø hoï cuõng gieát Phaït-san-ña-tha, Ñanh-phoâng, A-ba-tha,
9:8 And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,
9:8 Phoâ-ra-tha, A-ña-lia, A-ri-ña-tha,
9:9 And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,
9:9 Phaït-ma-sa-ta, A-ri-sai, A-ri-ñai, vaø Va-gieâ-xa-tha,
9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
9:10 töùc laø möôøi ngöôøi con trai cuûa Ha-man, chaùu Ham-meâ-ña-tha, laø keû haõm hieáp daân Giu-ña; nhöng chuùng khoâng tra tay vaøo hoùa taøi.
9:11 On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
9:11 Trong ngaøy ñoù, ngöôøi ta ñem cho vua hay soá nhöõng keû bò gieát trong kinh ñoâ Su-sô.
9:12 And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is your petition? and it shall be granted you: or what is your request further? and it shall be done.
9:12 Vua noùi vôùi hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ raèng: Daân Giu-ña ñaõ gieát cheát taïi trong kinh ñoâ Su-sô naêm traêm ngöôøi, vaø möôøi ngöôøi con trai cuûa Ha-man thay; laïi trong caùc tænh cuûa vua chuùng coøng ñaõ laøm chi nöõa! Baây giôø naøng xin gì? Taát ta seõ ban cho. Naøng coøn caàu chi nöõa, taát seõ laøm cho.
9:13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
9:13 Baø EÂ-xô-teâ thöa raèng: Neáu ñeïp yù vua; xin haõy nhaäm cho ngaøy mai daân Giu-ña ôû taïi Su-sô cuõng laøm nhö chieáu chæ veà ngaøy nay; vaø cho pheùp treo nôi moäc hình möôøi con trai cuûa Ha-man.
9:14 And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
9:14 Vua beøn truyeàn lònh laøm nhö vaäy; coù haï chieáu chæ truyeàn ra trong Su-sô, vaø ngöôøi ta treo möôøi con trai cuûa Ha-man.
9:15 For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
9:15 Daân Giu-ña ôû taïi Su-sô cuõng hieäp laïi trong ngaøy möôøi boán thaùnh cuûa A-ña, vaø gieát ba traêm ngöôøi taïi Su-sô; nhöng chuùng khoâng tra tay vaøo hoùa taøi.
9:16 But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
9:16 Nhöõng daân Giu-ña khaùc ôû trong caùc tænh vua, beøn hieäp laïi binh vöïc cho sanh maïng mình, haõm ñaùnh keû thuø nghòch mình, gieát baûy möôi laêm ngaøn ngöôøi ghen gheùt mình; nhöng hoï khoâng tra tay vaøo hoùa taøi.
9:17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
9:17 Vieäc aáy xaûy ra nhaèm ngaøy möôøi ba thaùng A-ña; coøn ngaøy möôøi boán thaùng aáy, chuùng an nghæ, laäp thaønh moät ngaøy tieäc yeán vui veû.
9:18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
9:18 Nhöng daân Giu-ña ôû taïi Su-rô nhoùm hieäp trong ngaøy möôøi ba vaø möôøi boán cuûa thaùng aáy; coøn ngaøy möôøi laêm thaùng aáy, chuùng an nghæ vaø laäp thaønh moät ngaøy tieäc yeán vui veû.
9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the towns without protective walls, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
9:19 Bôûi côù aáy, nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña ôû nôi caùc höông thoân, laáy ngaøy möôøi boán thaùnh A-ña laøm moät ngaøy vui möøng, tieäc yeán, moät ngaøy leã ñeå gôûi cho laãn nhau nhöõng leã vaät.
9:20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,
9:20 Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ghi cheùp caùc ñieàu naày, vaø gôûi thô cho heát thaûy daân Giu-ña ôû trong caùc tænh cuûa vua A-sueâ-ru, hoaëc gaàn hay xa,
9:21 To establish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
9:21 ñeå khieán cho hoï haèng naêm giöõ ngaøy möôøi boán vaø möôøi laêm cuûa thaùng A-ña,
9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
9:22 vì trong ngaøy vaø thaùng aáy daân Giu-ña ñaõ thoaùt khoûi keû thuø nghòch mình vaø ñöôïc bình an, söï ñau ñôùn ñoåi ra möøng rôõ, vaø ngaøy buoàn thaûm hoùa ra ngaøy leã; laïi baûo hoï laäp thaønh ngaøy tieäc yeán vaø vui möøng, gôûi cho laãn nhau nhöõng leã vaät, vaø boá thí cho ngöôøi ngheøo khoå.
9:23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;
9:23 Daân Giu-ña nhaän laøm theo vieäc mình ñaõ khôûi laøm, vaø theo ñieàu Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ ñaõ vieát gôûi cho mình;
9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
9:24 vì Ha-man, con trai Ha-meâ-ña-tha, daân A-gaùt, keû haõm hieáp heát thaûy daân Giu-ña, coù laäp möu haïi daân Giu-ña ñaëng tuyeät dieät ñi, vaø coù boû Phu-rô, nghóa laø boû thaêm, ñeå tröø dieät vaø phaù huûy chuùng ñi.
9:25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
9:25 Song khi baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñeán tröôùc maët vua ñeå toû vieäc aáy, thì vua ra chieáu chæ truyeàn baûo raèng caùc möu aùc maø Ha-man ñaõ toan haïi daân Giu-ña haõy ñoå laïi treân ñaàu cuûa haén, vaø ngöôøi ta treo haén vôùi caùc con trai haén nôi moäc hình.
9:26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
9:26 Bôûi côù ñoù, ngöôøi ta cöù theo chöõ Phu-rô, maø goïi caùc ngaøy ñoù laø Phu-rim. Laïi vì coù lôøi cuûa thô naày, vaø vì côù caùc ñieàu chuùng ñaõ thaáy, cuøng bò xaûy ñeán cho mình,
9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
9:27 neân daân Giu-ña nhaän vaø ñònh thöôøng leä cho mình, cho doøng gioáng mình, vaø cho nhöõng ngöôøi seõ nhaäp boïn vôùi mình, moãi naêm phaûi giöõ hai ngaøy naày tuøy caùi thô naày vaø theo thì nhöùt ñònh, chaúng ai neân boû beâ;
9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
9:28 laïi ngöôøi ta phaûi nhôù laïi hai ngaøy aáy, vaø moãi gia toäc trong moãi tænh moãi thaønh phaûi giöõ noù traûi qua caùc ñôøi; chaúng ñöôïc boû beâ ngaøy Phu-rim naày khoûi giöõa daân Giu-ña, vaø kyû nieäm noù chôù heà maát khoûi doøng doõi hoï.
9:29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
9:29 Hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ, con gaùi cuûa A-bi-hai, vaø Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, laïi vieát thô thöù nhì ñaëng khuyeân daân Giu-ña gìn giöõ leã Phu-rim;
9:30 And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,
9:30 ngöôøi laáy lôøi hoøa bình vaø chôn thaät maø gôûi thô cho heát thaûy daân Giu-ña ôû trong moät traêm hai möôi baûy tænh cuûa nöôùc A-sueâ-ru,
9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had commanded with authority them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.
9:31 ñaëng laøm chöùng quyeát ñònh caùc ngaøy Phu-rim aáy theo thì tieát nhöùt ñònh, y nhö Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, vaø hoaøng haäu EÂ-xô-teâ ñaõ daïy bieåu chuùng, vaø y nhö chuùng ñaõ laäp laáy cho mình vaø cho doøng doõi mình, veà kyø kieâng aên vaø ai khoùc.
9:32 And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.
9:32 Lònh maïng cuûa baø EÂ-xô-teâ ñònh vieäc giöõ caùc ngaøy Phu-rim; ñoaïn ñieàu ñoù ñöôïc cheùp vaøo saùch.
10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.
10:1 Vua A-sueâ-ru baét xöù vaø caùc cuø lao cuûa bieån noäp thueá.
10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, unto which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
10:2 Caùc coâng söï veà quyeàn theá vaø naêng löïc ngöôøi, caû söï cao troïng cuûa Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, vua thaêng chöùc ngöôøi leân laøm sao, thaûy ñeàu coù cheùp vaøo saùch söû kyù caùc vua nöôùc Meâ-ñi vaø Phe-rô-sô.
10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
10:3 Vì Maïc-ñoâ-cheâ, ngöôøi Giu-ña, laøm teå töôùng cuûa vua A-sueâ-ru; trong voøng daân Giu-ña ngöôøi ñöôïc toân troïng, ñeïp loøng caùc anh em mình, tìm vieäc toát laønh cho daân toäc mình, vaø noùi söï hoøa bình cho caû doøng doõi mình.
