1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
1:1 Naêm thöù hai ñôøi vua Ña-ri-uùt, ngaøy moàng moät thaùng saùu, coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va caäy ñaáng tieân tri A-gheâ phaùn cho Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, con trai Sa-la-thi-eân, quan traán thuû xöù Giu-ñeâ, vaø cho Gieâ-hoâ-sua, con trai Gioâ-xa-ñaùc, thaày teá leã caû, maø raèng:
1:2 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.
1:2 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân coù phaùn nhö vaày: Daân naày noùi raèng: Thì giôø chöa ñeán, töùc laø thì giôø xaây laïi nhaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
1:3 Vaäy neân coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn ra bôûi ñaáng tieân tri A-gheâ raèng:
1:4 Is it time for you, O all of you, to dwell in your covered over houses, and this house lie waste?
1:4 Nay coù phaûi laø thì giôø caùc ngöôi ôû trong nhaø coù traàn vaùn, khi nhaø naày hoang vu sao?
1:5 Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
1:5 Vaäy baây giôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Caùc ngöôi khaù xem xeùt ñöôøng loái mình.
1:6 All of you have sown much, and bring in little; all of you eat, but all of you have not enough; all of you drink, but all of you are not filled with drink; all of you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes.
1:6 Caùc ngöôi gieo nhieàu maø gaët ít; aên maø khoâng no; uoáng maø khoâng ñuû; maëc maø khoâng aám; vaø keû naøo laøm thueâ, ñöïng tieàn coâng mình trong tuùi luûng.
1:7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
1:7 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Caùc ngöôi khaù xem xeùt ñöôøng loái mình.
1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.
1:8 Haõy leân nuùi, ñem goã veà, vaø xaây nhaø naày, thì ta seõ laáy noù laøm vui loøng, vaø ta seõ ñöôïc saùng danh, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.
1:9 All of you looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when all of you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and all of you run every man unto his own house.
1:9 Caùc ngöôi troâng nhieàu maø ñöôïc ít; caùc ngöôi ñem vaøo nhaø, thì ta ñaõ thoåi leân treân. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn: Aáy laø taïi laøm sao? Aáy laø taïi nhaø ta thì hoang vu, maø caùc ngöôi ai naáy lo xaây nhaø mình.
1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
1:10 Cho neân, vì côù caùc ngöôi, trôøi giöõ moùc laïi, vaø ñaát giöõ boâng traùi laïi.
1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
1:11 Ta ñaõ goïi côn haïn haùn ñeán treân ñaát, treân caùc nuùi, treân luùa mì, treân röôïu môùi, treân daàu, vaø treân saûn vaät ñaát sanh ra, treân loaøi ngöôøi, treân loaøi vaät, vaø treân moïi vieäc tay laøm.
1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
1:12 Vaäy Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, con trai Sa-la-thi-eân, vaø Gieâ-hoâ-sua, con trai Gioâ-xa-ñaùc, thaày teá leã caû, cuøng caû daân soùt laïi vaâng theo tieáng cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình, vaø lôøi cuûa ñaáng tieân tri A-gheâ maø Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình ñaõ sai ñeán, thì daân söï ñeàu sôï seät tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
1:13 Then spoke Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.
1:13 A-gheâ, söù giaû cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn noùi cuøng daân söï theo lònh truyeàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø raèng: Ta ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.
1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
1:14 Ñoaïn, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va giuïc loøng Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, con trai Sa-la-thi-eân, quan traán thuû Giu-ña, vaø giuïc loøng Gieâ-hoâ-sua, con trai Gioâ-xa-ñaùc, thaày teá leã caû, vaø giuïc loøng caû daân söï soùt laïi; hoï ñeàu ñeán, laøm vieäc nôi nhaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình.
1:15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
1:15 Aáy laø ngaøy hai möôi boán thaùng saùu veà naêm thöù hai ñôøi vua Ña-ri-uùt.
2:1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
2:1 Ngaøy hai möôi moát thaùng baûy coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn ra bôûi ñaáng tieân tri A-gheâ maø raèng:
2:2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
2:2 Baây giôø haõy noùi cuøng Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, con trai Sa-la-thi-eân, quan traán thuû Giu-ña, vaø Gieâ-hoâ-sua, con trai Gioâ-xa-ñaùc, thaày teá leã caû, vaø daân söï soùt laïi, baûo chuùng noù raèng:
2:3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do all of you see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
2:3 Ai laø keû coøn soùt laïi ôû trong caùc ngöôi ñaõ xem thaáy vinh quang khi tröôùc cuûa nhaø naày? vaø baây giôø caùc ngöôi xem noù ra laøm sao? Noù ôû treân maét caùc ngöôi, haù chaúng phaûi nhö laø hö khoâng sao?
2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts:
2:4 Vaäy baây giôø, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Hôõi Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, ngöôi khaù can ñaûm; coøn ngöôi, Gieâ-hoâ-sua, con trai Gioâ-xa-ñaùc, thaày teá leã caû, cuõng khaù can ñaûm, vaø haõy laøm vieäc; vì ta ôû cuøng caùc ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.
2:5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when all of you came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you: fear all of you not.
2:5 Lôøi giao öôùc maø ta laäp vôùi caùc ngöôi khi caùc ngöôi ra khoûi EÂ-díp-toâ cuøng Thaàn ta ôû giöõa caùc ngöôi: chôù sôï haõi.
2:6 For thus says the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
2:6 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Coøn moät laàn, khoûi ít laâu nöõa, ta seõ lam ruùng ñoäng caùc töøng trôøi vaø ñaát, bieån vaø ñaát khoâ.
2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.
2:7 Ta cuõng laøm ruùng ñoäng heát thaûy caùc nöôùc haàu ñeán; roài ta seõ laøm cho vinh quang ñaày daãy nhaø naày, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.
2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts.
2:8 Baïc laø cuûa ta, vaøng laø cuûa ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.
2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the LORD of hosts.
2:9 Vinh quang sau roát cuûa nhaø naày seõ lôùn hôn vinh quang tröôùc, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy; vaø ta seõ ban söï bình an trong choán naày, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.
2:10 In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
2:10 Ngaøy hai möôi boán thaùng chín veà naêm thöù hai cuûa Ña-ri-uùt, coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn ra bôûi ñaáng tieân tri A-gheâ, maø raèng:
2:11 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
2:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn nhö vaày: Baây giôø haõy hoûi caùc thaày teá leã veà luaät phaùp raèng:
2:12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any food, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
2:12 Neáu coù keû goùi thòt thaùnh trong cheùo aùo, vaø cheùo aùo mình ñuïng ñeán baùnh, hoaëc vaät gì naáu chín, hoaëc röôïu, hoaëc daàu, hay laø ñoà aên gì, thì vaäy ñoù coù neân thaùnh khoâng? Caùc thaày teá leã ñeàu ñaùp raèng: Khoâng.
2:13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
2:13 A-gheâ laïi raèng: Neáu ai bò oâ ueá vì thaây cheát ñuïng ñeán caùc vaät aáy, thì caùc vaät aáy coù laây oâ ueá khoâng? Caùc thaày teá leã traû lôøi raèng: Caùc vaät aáy seõ bò oâ ueá.
2:14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, says the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
2:14 A-gheâ beøn noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Daân naày nöôùc naày ôû tröôùc maët ta cuõng vaäy; caû coâng vieäc tay chuùng noù laøm ra cuõng vaäy; vaät chuùng noù daâng taïi ñaây cuõng bò oâ ueá.
2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
2:15 Vaäy baây giôø, ta xin caùc ngöôi khaù suy nghó, töø ngaøy naày veà tröôùc, khi chöa ñaët hoøn ñaù naày treân hoøn ñaù kia nôi ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.
2:16 Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat in order to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
2:16 Traûi qua caû luùc ñoù, khi ngöôøi ta ñeán moät ñoáng luùa ñaùng ñöôïc hai möôi löôøng, chæ ñöôïc coù möôøi; vaø khi ngöôøi ta ñeán baøn eùp röôïu, ñaùng ñöôïc naêm möôi löôøng, chæ ñöôïc coù hai möôi.
2:17 I stroke you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet all of you turned not to me, says the LORD.
2:17 Ta ñaõ duøng nhöõng haïn haùn, ten reùt, möa ñaù ñaùnh phaït caùc ngöôi trong moïi vieäc tay caùc ngöôi laøm, maø caùc ngöôi khoâng trôû laïi cuøng ta, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vaäy.
2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.
2:18 Baây giôø haõy suy nghó; töø ngaøy nay veà tröôùc, töùc laø töø ngaøy hai möôi boán thaùng chín, töø ngaøy ñaët neàn cuûa ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; haõy suy nghó ñieàu ñoù!
2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, has not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
2:19 Caùc ngöôi coøn coù hoät gioáng nôi haàm vöïa khoâng? Daàu cho ñeán caây nho, caây vaû, caây löïu, caây oâ-li-ve, cuõng khoâng coù caây naøo ra traùi. Nhöng töø ngaøy naày, ta seõ ban phöôùc cho caùc ngöôi.
2:20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
2:20 Laïi coù lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn laàn thöù hai cho A-gheâ trong ngaøy hai möôi boán thaùng aáy, raèng:
2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
2:21 Haõy noùi cuøng Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, quan traán thuû Giu-ña, maø raèng: Ta seõ laøm ruùng ñoäng caùc töøng trôøi vaø ñaát;
2:22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
2:22 Ta seõ laät ñoå ngoâi cuûa caùc nöôùc, dieät quyeàn theá caùc nöôùc cuûa caùc daân; ta seõ ñaùnh ñoå caùc xe coä vaø ngöôøi ngoài ôû treân; caùc ngöïa vaø ngöôøi côõi, ai naáy seõ bò ñaùnh ngaõ bôûi göôm cuûa anh em mình.
2:23 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, will I take you, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the LORD, and will make you as a signet: for I have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.
2:23 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn: Hôõi Xoâ-roâ-ba-beân, con trai Sa-la-thi-eân, trong ngaøy ñoù, ta seõ laáy ngöôi laøm ñaày tôù ta! Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn: Ta seõ ñaët ngöôi nhö aán tín; vì ta ñaõ choïn ngöôi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân phaùn vaäy.
