 Ne he mi - Nehemiah

2:1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been in time past sad in his presence.

2:1 Ñöông naêm thöù hai möôi ñôøi vua Aït-ta-xeùt-xe, thaùng Ni-san, röôïu saün ôû tröôùc maët ngöôøi, toâi laáy röôïu daâng cho vua; tröôùc toâi khoâng heà coù boä buoàn raàu taïi tröôùc maët ngöôøi.

2:2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is your countenance sad, seeing you are not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,

2:2 Vua noùi vôùi toâi raèng: Nhôn sao ngöôi maët maøy buoàn, daàu maø ngöôi khoâng coù bònh? Ñieàu ñoù chæ laø söï buoàn raàu trong loøng maø thoâi. Baáy giôø toâi laáy laøm sôï haõi laém,

2:3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchers, lies waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

2:3 beøn noùi vôùi vua raèng: Nguyeän vua vaïn tueá! Leõ naøo maët toâi khoâng buoàn, khi caùi thaønh, laø nôi coù moà maû cuûa toå phuï toâi, bò phaù hoang, vaø caùc cöûa thaønh bò löûa thieâu ñoát?

2:4 Then the king said unto me, For what do you make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

2:4 Vua hoûi toâi raèng: Ngöôi caàu xin caùi gì? Toâi beøn caàu nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa caùc töøng trôøi,

2:5 And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if your servant have found favour in your sight, that you would send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchers, that I may build it.

2:5 roài taâu vôùi vua raèng: Neáu vua thaáy ñieàu ñoù laø toát laønh, neáu keû toâi tôù vua ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua, xin vua haõy sai toâi veà Giu-ña, ñeán thaønh coù moà maû cuûa toå phuï toâi, ñeå toâi xaây caát thaønh aáy laïi.

2:6 And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall your journey be? and when will you return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

2:6 Ñöông khi aáy hoaøng haäu cuõng ngoài beân caïnh vua. Vua beøn hoûi toâi raèng: Ngöôi ñi ñöôøng laâu chöøng bao nhieâu, vaø khi naøo ngöôi trôû veà? Vaäy, vua ñeïp loøng sai toâi ñi, vaø toâi ñònh nhöït kyø cho ngöôøi.

2:7 Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;

2:7 Toâi cuõng thöa vôùi vua raèng: Neáu ñieàu naøy ñöôïc ñeïp loøng vua, xin vua haõy trao cho toâi nhöõng böùc thô truyeàn caùc qua toång traán beân kia soâng cho pheùp toâi ñi ngang qua cho ñeán khi toâi tôùi Giu-ña

And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

2:8 laïi ban chieáu chæ cho A-saùp, keû giöõ röøng vua, truyeàn ngöôøi cho toâi goã laøm khuoân cöûa cuûa thaønh ñieän giaùp vôùi ñeàn vaø laøm vaùch thaønh, cuøng nhaø maø toâi phaûi vaøo ôû. Vua beøn ban cho toâi caùc ñieàu ñoù, tuøy theo tay nhôn laønh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi giuùp ñôõ toâi.

2:9 Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me.

2:9 Vaäy, toâi ñeán cuøng caùc quan toång traán beân kia soâng, vaøo trao cho hoï nhöõng böùc thô cuûa vua. Vaû, vua coù sai nhöõng quan töôùng vaø quaân kî ñi vôùi toâi.

2:10 When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

2:10 Khi San-ba-laùt, ngöôøi Hoâ-roân, vaø Toâ-bi-gia, laø keû toâi tôù Am-moân, hay ñieàu ñoù, thì laáy laøm baát bình vì coù ngöôøi ñeán ñaëng tìm kieám söï höng thaïnh cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

2:11 Vaäy, toâi ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø ôû taïi ñoù ba ngaøy.

2:12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.

2:12 Toâi vaø maáy ngöôøi cuøng theo toâi, beøn choåi daäy ban ñeâm; toâi chaúng cho ai hay bieát söï gì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ khieán loøng toâi toan laøm vì Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; laïi ngoaøi con thuù toâi côõi thì chaúng coù con thuù naøo khaùc ôû vôùi toâi.

2:13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.

2:13 Ban ñeâm toâi ra nôi cöûa Truõng, ñoái ngang suoái con choù röøng, vaø ñeán cöûa phaân, xem xeùt caùc vaùch thaønh cuûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem bò hö naùt, vaø caùc cöûa noù bò löûa thieâu ñoát.

2:14 Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass.

2:14 Ñoaïn, toâi ñi qua cöûa Gieáng, vaø ñeán nôi ao cuûa vua; song khoâng coù nôi naøo ñaëng cho con thuù toâi côõi ñi ngang qua ñöôïc.

2:15 Keá ñoù, ban ñeâm toâi baét ñöôøng khe ñi leân, xem xeùt vaùch thaønh; roài toâi thoái laïi, vaøo nôi cöûa Truõng maø trôû veà.

2:16 And the rulers knew not where I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.

2:16 Vaû, caùc quan tröôûng khoâng hieåu toâi ñi ñaâu, naøo roõ toâi laøm gì; vaø ñeán chöøng aáy, toâi chöa toû ra cho ngöôøi Giu-ña, hoaëc cho nhöõng thaày teá leã, hoaëc cho keû quyeàn quí, hoaëc cho quan tröôûng, hay laø cho caùc ngöôøi khaùc lo laøm coâng vieäc, ñöôïc bieát gì ñeán.

2:17 Then said I unto them, All of you see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

2:17 Toâi beøn noùi vôùi chuùng raèng: Caùc ngöôi haõy xem tình caûnh khoå naïn cuûa chuùng ta ñöông ñaây; Gieâ-ru-sa-lem bò phaù hoang, vaø caùc cöûa noù bò löûa thieâu ñoát. Haõy ñeán, xaây caát caùc vaùch thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem laïi, haàu cho chuùng ta chaúng coøn bò sæ nhuïc nöõa.

2:18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

2:18 Toâi cuõng thuaät cho chuùng laøm sao tay nhôn töø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi ñaõ giuùp ñôõ toâi, vaø caùc lôøi vua ñaõ noùi cuøng toâi. Chuùng noùi: Heø, ta haõy choåi daäy vaø xaây söûa laïi! Vaäy, chuùng ñöôïc vöõng chaéc trong yù nhöùt ñònh laøm coâng vieäc toát laønh naøy.

2:19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that all of you do? will all of you rebel against the king?

2:19 San-ba-laùt, ngöôøi Hoâ-roân, Toâ-bi-gia, keû toâi tôù Am-moân, vaø Gheâ-sem, ngöôøi A raïp, ñöôïc hay vieäc ñoù, beøn nhaïo baùng vaø khinh bæ chuùng toâi. Chuùng noù noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi laøm chi ñoù? Caùc ngöôi coù yù phaûn nghòch vua sao?

2:20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but all of you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

2:20 Toâi beøn ñaùp vôùi chuùng noù raèng: Ñöùc Chuùa cuûa caùc töøng trôøi seõ ban cho chuùng ta söï hanh thoâng; vì vaäy, chuùng ta, laø toâi tôù Ngaøi, seõ choåi daäy vaø xaây söûa laïi; nhöng caùc ngöôi khoâng coù phaàn, hoaëc pheùp, hoaëc kyû nieäm trong Gieâ-ra-sa-lem. 3:27 After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, opposite to the great tower that lies out, even unto the wall of Ophel.

3:27 Keá ngöôøi aáy coù ngöôøi Theâ-coâ -a söûa moät phaàn khaùc ñoái ngang thaùp lôùn loù ra, vaø cho vaùch OÂ-pheân.

3:28 From above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.

3:28 Nhöõng thaày teá leã söûa nôi phía treân cöûa Ngöïa, moãi ngöôøi söûa phaàn ñoái ngang nhaø cuûa mình.

3:29 After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. After him repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate.

4:1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we built the wall, he was angry, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

4:1 Khi San-ba-laùt hay raèng chuùng toâi xaây söûa vaùch thaønh laïi, thì laáy laøm giaän döõ, vaø nhaïo baùng ngöôøi Giu-ña.

4:2 And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

Ñaù maø ñaõ chaùy thieâu roài, chuùng noù haù coù theå do ñoáng buïi ñaát maø laáy noù laøm thaønh ñaù laïi ñöôïc sao?

4:3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

4:3 Toâ-bi-gia, ngöôøi Am-moân, ôû beân caïnh ngöôøi, noùi raèng: Vaû laïi, caùi vaùch baèng ñaù maø nhöõng keû aáy xaây caát kia, neáu coù moät con choàn leo leân ñoù, taát seõ ñaùnh noù saäp xuoáng lieàn.

4:4 Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

4:4 Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng toâi oâi! haõy nghe; vì chuùng toâi bò khinh deå; xin haõy ñoå laïi chuùng noù treân ñaàu cuûa hoï, vaø haõy phoù chuùng noù laøm moài trong moät xöù baét ngöôøi ta laøm phu tuø kia;

4:5 And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before you: for they have provoked you to anger before the builders.

4:5 chôù che laáp gian aùc cuûa chuùng noù, ñöøng xoùa toäi loãi chuùng noù saïch khoûi tröôùc maët Chuùa; vì tröôùc maët caùc thôï xaây caát, chuùng noù coù choïc Chuùa giaän.

4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

4:6 Vaäy, chuùng toâi xaây caát vaùch thaønh laïi, vaø toaøn vaùch thaønh ñeàu dính lieàn nhau vaø leân ñeán phaân nöûa beà cao; vì daân söï chuyeân thaønh laøm coâng vieäc.

4:7 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very angry,

4:7 Xaûy khi San-ba-laùt, Toâ-bi-giam nhöõng ngöôøi A raïp, daân Am-moân, vaø daân Aùch-ñoát hay raèng vieäc tu boå vaùch thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem taán tôùi, vaø caùc nôi hö luõng haàu laáp laønh, thì chuùng noù laáy laøm giaän döõ,

4:8 And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

4:8 beøn taäp laäp nhau heát thaûy ñaëng ñeán haõm ñaùnh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem vaø laøm cho noù bò roái loaïn.

4:9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

4:9 Nhöng chuùng toâi caàu nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi, vaø laäp keû ngaøy vaø ñeâm canh giöõ hoï.

4:10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

4:10 Ngöôøi Giu-ña noùi: Coøn nhieàu ñoà hö naùt, vaø söùc löïc cuûa keû khieâng daùnh ñaõ yeáu moûn; chuùng ta khoâng theá xaây caát vaùch thaønh ñöôïc.

4:11 And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

4:11 Caùc thuø nghòch chuùng toâi noùi raèng: Chuùng noù seõ khoâng hay khoâng thaáy ñieàu ñoù, cho ñeán chöøng chuùng ta ñeán giöõa chuùng noù, gieát chuùng noù ñi, vaø laøm cho chuùng noù ngöng coâng.

4:12 And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence all of you shall return unto us they will be upon you.

4:12 Song daân Giu-ña ôû giöõa hoï, ñeán möôøi laàn baùo caùo chuùng toâi raèng: Thuø nghòch bôûi boán phöông chaïy ñeán.

4:13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

4:13 Toâi beøn laäp nhöõng ñoàn trong caùc nôi thaáp ôû phía sau vaùch thaønh, vaø taïi nhöõng nôi troáng traûi; toâi ñaët daân söï töøng hoï haøng taïi ñoù, coù caàm göôm, giaùo vaø cung.

4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not all of you afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

4:14 Toâi xem xeùt, choåi daäy, vaø noùi vôùi caùc ngöôøi töôùc vò, quan töôùng, vaø daân söï coøn soùt laïi raèng: Chôù sôï chuùng; khaù ñaùnh kinh, haõy chieán ñaáu cho anh em mình, cho con trai con gaùi mình, cho vôï vaø nhaø cuûa mình.

4:15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nothing, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

4:15 Khi caùc thuø nghòch chuùng toâi hay raèng chuùng toâi ñaõ ñöôïc baùo tin, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi coù baïi möu cuûa chuùng noù, thì heát thaûy chuùng toâi ñeàu trôû laïi nôi vaùch thaønh, ai naáy veà laøm coâng vieäc mình.

4:16 And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

4:16 Töø ngaøy ñoù, phaân nöûa soá ñaày tôù toâi laøm coâng vieäc, coøn phaân nöûa kia caàm caây giaùo, khieân, cung, vaø giaùp; caùc quan tröôûng ñeàu ñöùng ôû sau caû nhaø Giu-ña.

4:17 They which built on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

4:17 Nhöõng keû xaây söûa vaùch thaønh, nhöõng keû khieâng gaùnh, vaø nhöõng keû chaát leân, moät tay thì laøm coâng vieäc, coøn moät tay thì caàm binh khí mình.

4:18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so built. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

4:18 Nhöõng keû xaây söûa, ai naáy ñeàu coù caây göôm mình ñeo nôi löng, roài xaây söûa; coøn keû thoåi keøn thì ôû beân toâi.

4:19 And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.

4:19 Toâi noùi vôùi caùc ngöôøi töôùc vò, caùc quan tröôûng, vaø daân söï coøn soùt laïi, maø raèng: Coâng vieäc thì lôùn vaø daøi, coøn chuùng ta laøm raûi raùc ôû treân vaùch, ngöôøi naøy caùch xa ngöôøi kia.

4:20 In what place therefore all of you hear the sound of the trumpet, resort all of you thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.

4:20 Taïi nôi naøo caùc ngöôi nghe tieáng keøn, thì haõy nhoùm laïi cuøng chuùng ta ôû ñoù; Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng ta seõ chieán ñaáu cho chuùng ta.

4:21 So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.

4:21 Chuùng toâi laøm coâng vieäc laø nhö vaäy; phaân nöûa hoï caàm caây giaùo töø luùc raïng ñoâng cho ñeán khi sao moïc.

4:22 Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.

4:22 Trong luùc aáy, toâi cuõng noùi vôùi daân söï raèng: Moãi ngöôøi haõy cuøng toâi tôù mình nguû ñeâm chuùng phoøng giöõ, vaø ban ngaøy laøm coâng vieäc.

4:23 So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.

4:23 Naøo toâi, naøo anh em toâi, naøo caùc ngöôøi ñaày tôù toâi, naøo nhöõng lính canh theo toâi, chaúng coù ai côûi aùo mình ra, moãi ngöôøi ñeàu ñeo binh khí nôi beân höõu mình.

5:1 And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

5:1 Khi aáy coù tieáng keâu la lôùn cuûa daân söï vaø vôï hoï veà ngöôøi Giu-ña, laø anh em mình.

5:2 For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.

5:2 Coù ngöôøi noùi raèng: Chuùng toâi, con trai vaø con gaùi chuùng toâi, ñoâng ñaûo, vaø chuùng toâi phaûi coù luùa mì ñeå aên cho soáng.

5:3 Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

5:3 Cuõng coù ngöôøi noùi raèng: Trong khi ñoùi keùm, chuùng toâi caàm ruoäng, vöôøn nho vaø nhaø chuùng toâi haàu cho coù luùa mì aên.

5:4 There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.

5:4 Laïi coù ngöôøi khaùc noùi raèng: Chuùng toâi coù caàm ruoäng vaø vöôøn nho chuùng toâi, maø vay baïc ñaëng ñoùng thueá cho vua.

5:5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

5:5 Vaû, thaân cuûa chuùng toâi voán nhö cuûa anh em chuùng toâi, caùc con trai chuùng toâi khaùc naøo caùc con trai hoï; naøy chuùng toâi phaûi baét caùc con trai vaø con gaùi chuùng toâi laøm toâi moïi, vaø ñaõ coù ñöùa con gaùi chuùng toâi laøm toâi moïi roài; khoâng coøn thuoäc nôi quyeàn tay chuùng toâi chuoäc noù laïi; vì ñoàng ruoäng vaø vöôøn nho chuùng toâi ñaõ thuoäc veà keû khaùc.

5:6 And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

5:6 Khi toâi nghe caùc lôøi naøy vaø tieáng keâu la cuûa hoï, beøn laáy laøm giaän laém.

5:7 Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, All of you exact interest, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

5:7 Loøng toâi baøn tính veà ñieàu ñoù, caõi laãy vôùi nhöõng ngöôøi töôùc vò vaø caùc quan tröôûng, maø raèng: Caùc ngöôi buoäc tieàn lôøi cho moãi ngöôøi anh em mình! Toâi nhoùm laïi moät hoäi ñoâng ñaûo ñoái nghòch chuùng,

5:8 And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will all of you even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.

5:9 Also I said, It is not good that all of you do: ought all of you not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

5:9 Toâi laïi noùi: Ñieàu anh em laøm chaúng ñöôïc toát. Anh em haù chaúng ñaùng leõ aên ôû caùch kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, e bò sæ nhuïc giöõa caùc daân toäc, laø thuø nghòch cuûa chuùng ta, sao?

5:10 I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this interest.

5:10 Toâi, anh em toâi, vaø caùc ñaày tôù toâi cuõng coù cho hoï vay möôïn baïc vaø luùa mì vaäy. Nhöng toâi xin anh em haõy boû caùi aên lôøi naøy.

5:11 Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their olive yards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that all of you exact of them.

5:11 Toâi xin anh em chaùnh ngaøy nay, haõy traû laïi cho hoï ñoàng ruoäng, vöôøn nho, vöôøn oâ-li-ve, vaø nhaø cöûa cuûa hoï, cuøng lôøi moät phaàn traêm veà baïc luùa mì, röôïu, vaø daàu, maø anh em ñaõ baét hoï noäp.

5:12 Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as you says. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

5:12 Chuùng noùi raèng: Chuùng toâi seõ traû laïi, vaø khoâng ñoøi hoï chi heát; chuùng toâi seõ laøm nhö vaäy y oâng ñaõ noùi. Toâi ñoøi nhöõng thaày teá leã, baét chuùng theà phaûi laøm theo nhö lôøi höùa ñoù.

5:13 Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performs not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

5:13 Toâi cuõng giuõ vaït aùo toâi, maø raèng: Phaøm ai khoâng giöõ laøm theo lôøi höùa naøy, nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi haõy giuõ haén khoûi nhaø vaø khoûi hoa lôïi cuûa coâng lao haén; nguyeän haén bò giuõ saïch khoâng nhö vaäy! Caû hoäi chuùng ñoàng noùi: A-men! Chuùng ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Ñoaïn, daân söï ñeàu laøm theo lôøi höùa aáy.

5:14 Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

5:14 Vaû laïi, töø ngaøy toâi ñöôïc laäp laøm toång traán trong xöù Giu-ña, töùc töø naêm thöù hai möôi cho ñeán naêm thöù ba möôi hai ñôøi vua Aït-ta-xeùt-xe, coäng trong möôøi hai naêm, toâi hoaëc anh em toâi chaúng aên löông loäc thöôøng caáp cho quan toång traán.

5:15 But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

5:15 Nhöng caùc quan toång traán ñaõ ñeán nhaäm tröôùc toâi, baét daân söï caáp döôõng, laáy cho mình löôïng thöïc, vaø röôïu, tröø ra boán möôi sieác lô baïc; ñeán ñoãi caùc ñaày tôù hoï cuõng laán löôùt treân daân söï nöõa. Nhöng toâi khoâng coù laøm nhö vaäy; vì côù kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

5:16 Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work.

5:16 Laïi toâi cuõng giöõ beàn vöõng trong coâng vieäc xaây söûa vaùch naøy, chaúng coù mua ñoàng ruoäng naøo; vaø caùc ñaày tôù toâi ñeàu hoäi hieäp laïi ñoù ñaëng laøm coâng vieäc.

5:17 Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.

5:17 Nôi baøn aên toâi cuõng coù moät traêm naêm möôi ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø quan tröôûng, ngoaïi tröø nhöõng keû ôû giöõa caùc daân toäc chung quanh chuùng toâi ñi ñeán.

5:18 Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.

5:18 Vaû, ngöôøi ta doïn aên cho moãi ngaøy moät con boø, saùu con chieân choïn löïa; ngöôøi ta cuõng doïn nhöõng gaø vòt, vaø moãi möôøi ngaøy ñuû caùc thöù röôïu raát nhieàu. Daàu nhö vaäy, toâi cuõng khoâng ñoøi löông loäc cuûa phaàn toång traán, vì coâng dòch laáy laøm naëng neà cho daân söï naøy.

5:19 Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.

5:19 Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! nguyeän Chuùa nhôù laïi toâi veà caùc ñieàu toâi ñaõ laøm cho daân söï naøy, vaø laøm ôn cho toâi.

 Ne he mi - Nehemiah

6:1 Now it came to pass when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;)

6:1 Xaûy khi San-ba-laùt, Toâ-bi-gia, Gheâ-sem, laø ngöôøi A raïp, vaø caùc thuø nghòch chuùng toâi khaùc, hay raèng toâi ñaõ xaây söûa vaùch thaønh roài, khoâng coøn nôi hö luõng naøo nöõa, daàu cho ñeán luùc aáy toâi chöa tra caùnh cöûa,

6:2 That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.

6:2 thì San-ba-laùt vaø Gheâ-sem, sai ñeán noùi vôùi toâi raèng: Haõy ñeán, ta seõ gaëp nhau trong moät laøng naøo taïi truõng OÂ-noâ. Nhöng chuùng coù yù laøm haïi toâi.

6:3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

6:3 Toâi sai söù giaû ñeán noùi cuøng chuùng raèng: Ta maéc laøm coâng vieäc lôùn, xuoáng khoâng ñaëng. Leõ naøo ñeå coâng vieäc döùt trong khi boû noù ñaëng ñi xuoáng vôùi caùc ngöôi?

6:4 Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.

6:4 Chuùng sai noùi vôùi toâi boán löôït nhö vaäy; song toâi ñaùp laïi vôùi chuùng cuõng y nhau.

6:5 Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;

6:5 Laàn thöù naêm, San-ba-laùt sai keû toâi tôù ngöôøi, cuõng nhö caùch cuõ, coù caàm thô khoâng nieâm nôi tay;

6:6 Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu says it, that you and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause you build the wall, that you may be their king, according to these words.

6:6 trong thô coù vieát raèng: Trong caùc daân toäc ngöôøi ta nghe ñoàn vaø Gaùt-mu noùi raèng: Oâng vaø ngöôøi Giu-ña toan nhau daáy loaïn; taïi côù aáy, neân oâng môùi xaây söûa vaùch thaønh; vaø cöù theo lôøi ñoàn ñoù, taát oâng muoán leân laøm vua cuûa chuùng.

6:7 And you have also appointed prophets to preach of you at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.

6:7 Laïi oâng coù laëp nhöõng tieân tri ñaëng truyeàn giaûng veà oâng taïi trong Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: Coù moät vua trong xöù Giu-ña! Baây giôø ngöôøi ta chaéc seõ taâu cho vua nghe cuõng caùc vieäc aáy; vaäy, haõy ñeán, ñeå chuùng ta nghò luaän vôùi nhau.

6:8 Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as you says, but you feign them out of yours own heart.

6:8 Toâi sai noùi vôùi ngöôøi ta raèng: Nhöõng ñieàu ngöôi noùi, chaúng coù ai laøm chuùt naøo; nhöng chaùnh trong loøng ngöôi coù ñaët noù ra.

6:9 For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.

6:9 Vì chuùng noù muoán nhaùt cho chuùng toâi heát thaûy ñeàu sôï haõi; chuùng noù raèng: Tay cuûa chuùng noù seõ bò moûi meät, khoâng laøm coâng vieäc nöõa. Vaäy baây giôø, hôõi Chuùa, haõy laøm cho tay toâi maïnh meõ.

6:10 Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay you; yea, in the night will they come to slay you.

6:10 Ñoaïn, toâi ñi ñeán nhaø cuûa Seâ-ma-gia, con trai cuûa Ñeâ-la-gia, chaùu cuûa Meâ-heâ-ta-beâ-eân (ngöôøi aáy ñaõ ruùt aån ôû ñoù); ngöôøi noùi raèng: Chuùng ta haõy gaëp nhau taïi trong nhaø cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chaùnh giöõa ñeàn thôø, roài chuùng ta seõ ñoùng caùc cöûa ñeàn thôø laïi; vì chuùng noù seõ ñeán gieát oâng; aáy luùc ban ñeâm maø chuùng noù toan ñeán gieát oâng.

6:11 And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

6:11 Toâi noùi: moät ngöôøi nhö toâi ñaây seõ chaïy troán ö? Ngöôøi naøo nhö toâi ñaây vaøo trong ñeàn thôø maø laïi ñöôïc soáng sao? Toâi khoâng vaøo ñaâu.

6:12 And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

6:12 Toâi nhìn bieát chaúng phaûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi coù sai ngöôøi ñeán, vì ngöôøi noùi lôøi tieân tri ñoù nghòch vôùi toâi. Toâ-bi-gia vaø San-ba-laùt ñaõ möôùn ngöôøi vaäy.

6:13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

6:13 Vì taïi ñoù, ngöôøi ñöôïc traû tieàn coâng ñaëng khieán toâi sôï haõi, duï toâi phaïm toäi, haàu cho chuùng noù coù côù ñoàn tieáng xaáu xa, vaø laøm sæ nhuïc toâi.

6:14 My God, think you upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.

6:14 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! Xin haõy nhôù Toâ-bi-gia vaø San-ba-laùt, tuøy theo caùc coâng vieäc naøy maø hai ngöôøi ñaõ laøm; xin cuõng nhôù ñeán Noâ -a-ñia, nöõ tieân tri, vaø caùc tieân tri khaùc ñaõ muoán laøm cho toâi sôï haõi!

6:15 So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

6:15 Vaäy, ngaøy hai möôi thaùng EÂ-lun, vaùch thaønh söûa xong, heát naêm möôi hai ngaøy.

6:16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.

6:16 Khi nhöõng thuø nghòch chuùng toâi hay ñöôïc ñieàu ñoù, thì caùc daân toäc chung quanh chuùng toâi ñeàu sôï haõi vaø laáy laøm ngaõ loøng; vì chuùng noù nhìn bieát raèng coâng vieäc naøy thaønh ñöôïc bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng toâi.

6:17 Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.

6:17 Cuõng trong nhöõng ngaøy aáy, coù caùc ngöôøi töôùc vò cuûa xöù Giu-ña gôûi laém thô töø cho Toâ-bi-gia vaø Toâ-bi-gia ñaùp thô gôûi laïi cho chuùng.

6:18 For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.

6:18 Vì taïi Giu-ña coù nhieàu keû ñaõ theà keát hieäp vôùi ngöôøi, bôûi ngöôøi laø reå cuûa Seâ-ca-nia, con trai cuûa A-ra; vaø Gioâ-ha-nan, con trai ngöôøi, ñaõ cöôùi con gaùi cuûa Meâ-su-lam, laø con trai cuûa Beâ-reâ-kia.

6:19 Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.

6:19 Chuùng cuõng noùi tröôùc maët toâi nhöõng vieäc toát laønh cuûa ngöôøi vaø chuùng hoïc laïi cho ngöôøi caùc lôøi cuûa toâi. Coøn Toâ-bi-gia gôûi thô ñeå laøm cho toâi sôï haõi.

8:2 Ngaøy moàng moät thaùng baûy, thaày teá leã E-xô-ra ñem luaät phaùp ñeán tröôùc maët hoäi chuùng, ngöôøi nam vaø nöõ, cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi coù thoâng saùng nghe hieåu ñöôïc.

8:3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.

8:3 Ngöôøi ñöùng taïi phoá ôû tröôùc cöûa Nöôùc, ñoïc trong quyeån aáy töø raïng ñoâng cho ñeán tröa, coù maët caùc ngöôøi nam vaø nöõ, cuøng nhöõng keû coù theå hieåu ñöôïc. Caû daân söï laéng tai nghe ñoïc saùch luaät phaùp.

8:4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

8:4 Thaày thoâng giaùo E-xô-ra ñöùng treân moät caùi saïp baèng goã maø ngöôøi ta laøm nhôn dòp aáy; Ma-ti-thia, Seâ-ma, A-na-gia, U-ri, Hinh-kia, vaø Ma -a-xeâ-gia, ñöùng gaàn ngöôøi ôû beân höõu; coøn beân taû ngöôøi thì coù Pheâ-ña-gia, Mi-sa-eân, Manh-ki-gia, Ha-sum, Haùch-ba-ña-na, Xa-cha-ri, vaø Meâ-su-lam.

8:5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:

8:5 E-xô-ra dôû saùch ra tröôùc maët caû daân söï, vì ngöôøi ñöùng cao hôn chuùng; khi ngöôøi dôû saùch ra, thì daân söï ñeàu ñöùng daäy.

8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

8:6 E-xô-ra ngôïi khen Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cao caû; caû daân söï beøn giô tay leân, maø ñaùp laïi raèng: A-men, A-men! roài chuùng cuùi ñaàu, saáp maët xuoáng ñaát maø thôø laïy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

8:7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.

8:7 Gieâ-sua, Ba-ni, Seâ-reâ-bia, Gioâ-xa-baùt, Ha-nan, Beâ-la-gia, vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi, ñeàu giaûi cho daân söï hieåu luaät phaùp; vaø daân söï ñöùng taïi choã mình.

8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

8:8 Hoï ñoïc roõ raøng trong saùch luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, roài giaûi nghóa noù ra, laøm cho ngöôøi ta hieåu lôøi hoï ñoïc.

8:9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

8:9 Neâ-heâ-mi, quan toång traán, E-xô-ra, thaày teá leã vaø thaày thoâng giaùo, cuøng ngöôøi Leâ-vi maø daïy doã daân söï, beøn noùi vôùi caû Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Ngaøy nay laø thaùnh cho Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa caùc ngöôi; chôù ñeå tang, cuõng ñöøng khoùc loùc. Vì caû daân söï ñeàu khoùc khi nghe ñoïc caùc luaät phaùp.

8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be all of you sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

8:10 Neâ-heâ-mi noùi vôùi chuùng raèng: Haõy ñi aên vaät gì beùo, uoáng ñoà gì ngoït, vaø haõy gôûi phaàn cho nhöõng ngöôøi khoâng coù saém söûa gì heát; vì ngaøy nay laø thaùnh, bieät rieâng ra cho Chuùa cuûa chuùng ta. Chôù buoàn thaûm, vì söï vui veû cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø söùc löïc cuûa caùc ngöôi.

8:11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be all of you grieved.

8:11 Vaäy, ngöôøi Leâ-vi laøm cho caû daân söï ñeàu ñöôïc yeân oån, maø raèng: Khaù nín ñi, vì ngaøy nay laø thaùnh, ñöøng saàu thaûm chi.

8:12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great delight, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

8:12 Caû daân söï beøn ñi ñaëng aên vaø uoáng, gôûi cho nhöõng phaàn, cuøng vui veû laém; vì chuùng coù hieåu caùc lôøi ngöôøi ta ñaõ truyeàn daïy cho mình.

8:13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

8:13 Qua ngaøy thöù hai, caùc tröôûng toäc cuûa caû daân söï, nhöõng thaày teá leã, vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi, ñeàu nhoùm laïi beân E-xô-ra, laø ngöôøi thoâng giaùo, ñaëng chuù yù nghe caùc lôøi cuûa luaät phaùp.

8:14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

8:14 Chuùng thaáy coù cheùp trong luaät phaùp raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va caäy Moâi-se phaùn raèng daân Y-sô-ra-eân phaûi ôû trong nhaø leàu ñöông luùc leã thaùng baûy;

8:15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

8:15 vaø chuùng phaûi hoâ truyeàn trong caùc thaønh vaø taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem nghe, raèng: Haõy ñi kieám trong nuùi nhöõng nhaùnh oâ-li-ve vaø oâ-li-ve röøng, nhöõng nhaùnh caây sim, nhöõng taàu laù keø, vaø nhöõng nhaùnh caây raäm, ñaëng laøm nhöõng nhaø leàu, y nhö ñaõ cheùp.

8:16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

8:16 Daân söï beøn ñi ra ñem caùc laù aáy veà, moãi ngöôøi ñeàu laøm nhaø leàu treân noùc nhaø mình, ngoaøi saân mình, trong haønh lang cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, nôi phoá cuûa cöûa Nöôùc, vaø nôi phoá cuûa cöûa Eùp-ra-im.

8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

8:17 Caû hoäi chuùng cuûa nhöõng keû bò baét laøm phu tuø ñöôïc trôû veà beøn caát nhöõng nhaø leàu, vaø ôû trong ñoù. Töø ñôøi Gioâ-sueâ, con trai cuûa Nun, cho ñeán ngaøy aáy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân chaúng coù laøm gì gioáng nhö vaäy. Beøn coù söï raát vui möøng.

8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

8:18 Moãi ngaøy, töø ngaøy ñaàu cho ñeán ngaøy choùt, ngöôøi ñoïc trong saùch luaät phaùp cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Chuùng aên leã baûy ngaøy; coøn qua ngaøy thöù taùm, coù moät leã troïng theå, tuøy theo luaät leä.

 Ne he mi - Nehemiah

9:1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sack clothes, and earth upon them.

9:1 Ngaøy hai möôi boán thaùng aáy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân nhoùm laïi, cöõ aên, maëc bao vaø phuû buïi ñaát.

9:2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

9:2 Doøng Y-sô-ra-eân chia reõ caùc ngöôøi ngoaïi, ñöùng daäy xöng toäi loãi mình vaø söï gian aùc cuûa toå phuï mình.

9:3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

9:3 Chuùng ñöùng daäy taïi choã mình, ñoïc trong saùch luaät phaùp cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình, laâu ñeán phaàn tö ngaøy: trong moät phaàn tö khaùc, chuùng xöng toäi vaø thôø laïy Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa hoï.

9:4 Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.

9:4 Baáy giôø, Gieâ-sua, Ba-ni, Caùt-mi-eân, Seâ-ba-nia, Bun-ni, Seâ-reâ-bia, Ba-ni, vaø Keâ-na-ni, ñöùng daäy taïi treân saïp ngöôøi Leâ-vi, vaø keâu caàu lôùn tieáng cuøng Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi mình.

9:5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

9:5 Khi aáy nhöõng ngöôøi Leâ-vi, laø Gieâ-sua, Caùt-mi-eân, Ba-ni, Ha-saùp-nia, Seâ-reâ-bia, Hoâ-ñia, Seâ-ba-nia, vaø Pheâ-ta-hia noùi raèng: Haõy ñöùng daäy, ngôïi khen Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa caùc ngöôi, laø Ñaáng haèng coù ñôøi ñôøi kieáp kieáp! Ñaùng ngôïi khen danh vinh hieån cuûa Ngaøi, vaãn troåi cao hôn caùc söï chuùc tuïng vaø caùc lôøi khen ngôïi.

9:6 You, even you, are LORD alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and you preserve them all; and the host of heaven worships you.

9:6 Oâi! chæ moät mình Chuùa laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù moät khoâng hai; Chuùa ñaõ döïng neân caùc töøng trôøi, vaø trôøi cuûa caùc töøng trôøi, cuøng toaøn cô binh cuûa noù, traùi ñaát vaø caùc vaät ôû treân noù, bieån vaø muoân vaät ôû döôùi noù Chuùa baûo toàn nhöõng vaät aáy, vaø cô binh cuûa caùc töøng trôøi ñeàu thôø laïy Chuùa.

9:7 You are the LORD the God, who did choose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham;

9:7 Chuùa oâi! Chuùa laø Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø ñaõ choïn Aùp-ram, ñem ngöôøi ra khoûi U-sô cuûa daân Canh-ñeâ, vaø ban cho ngöôøi teân Aùp-ra-ham.

9:8 And found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and have performed your words; for you are righteous:

9:8 Chuùa thaáy loøng ngöôøi trung thaønh taïi tröôùc maët Chuùa, vaø Chuùa laäp giao öôùc vôùi ngöôøi, ñaëng ban cho doøng doõi ngöôøi xöù cuûa daân Ca-na-an, daân Heâ-tít, daân A-moâ-rít, daân Pheâ-reâ-sít, daân Gieâ-bu-sít, vaø daân Ghi-reâ-ga-sít; Chuùa coù laøm öùng nghieäm lôøi cuûa Chuùa, vì Chuùa laø coâng bình.

9:9 And did see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red sea;

9:9 Chuùa coù thaáy söï khoán khoå cuûa toå phuï chuùng toâi taïi EÂ-díp-toâ, coù nghe tieáng keâu la cuûa chuùng taïi beân Bieån ñoû,

9:10 And showed signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for you knew that they dealt proudly against them. So did you get you a name, as it is this day.

9:10 laøm nhöõng daáu kyø pheùp laï nôi Pha-ra-oân, nôi ñaày tôù ngöôøi vaø nôi toaøn daân söï cuûa nöôùc ngöôøi; vì Chuùa bieát raèng hoï coù ñoái ñaõi toå phuï chuùng toâi caùch kieâu caêng, vaø Chuùa coù laøm noåi danh Chuùa nhö theå ngaøy nay.

9:11 And you did divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors you threw into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

9:11 Chuùa coù phaân reõ bieån tröôùc maët chuùng noù, ñeå chuùng noù ñi ngang qua giöõa bieån treân ñaát khoâ; coøn nhöõng keû ñuoåi theo, Chuùa beøn neùm hoï döôùi vöïc saâu, nhö neùm ñaù trong nöôùc lôùn.

9:12 Moreover you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

9:12 Ban ngaøy, Chuùa daãn daét chuùng baèng moät truï maây, vaø ban ñeâm baèng moät truï löûa, ñeå chieáu saùng cho chuùng trong con ñöôøng phaûi ñi theo.

9:13 You came down also upon mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

9:13 Chuùa cuõng giaùng laâm taïi treân nuùi Si-nai, phaùn vôùi chuùng töø treân trôøi, ban cho chuùng nhöõng luaät leä ngay thaúng, phaùp ñoä chôn thaät, vaø nhöõng qui taéc cuøng ñieàu raên toát laønh.

9:14 And made known unto them your holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses your servant:

9:14 Chuùa khieán cho chuùng bieát ngaøy sa-baùt thaùnh cuûa Chuùa, caäy Moâi-se, toâi tôù cuûa Chuùa, truyeàn cho chuùng nhöõng ñieàu raên, qui taéc, vaø luaät phaùp.

9:15 And gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.

9:15 Töø caùc töøng trôøi, Chuùa ban cho chuùng baùnh ñaëng aên ñoùi, khieán hoøn ñaù chaûy ra nöôùc cho chuùng uoáng khaùt, phaùn bieåu chuùng vaøo nhaän laáy xöù maø Chuùa ñaõ theà ban cho chuùng.

9:16 But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to your commandments,

9:16 Nhöng toå phuï chuùng toâi cö xöû caùch kieâu haõnh cöùng coå mình, khoâng nghe caùc ñieàu raên cuûa Chuùa,

9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsook them not.

9:17 chaúng khöùng vaâng theo vaø khoâng nhôù ñeán caùc pheùp laï maø Chuùa ñaõ laøm giöõa chuùng; nhöng chuùng cöùng coå mình, vaø trong söï boäi nghòch mình caét moät keû laøm ñaàu ñaëng trôû veà nôi noâ leä cuûa hoï. Nhöng Chuùa voán moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi saün tha thöù, hay laøm ôn, vaø thöông xoùt, chaäm noùng giaän, vaø dö ñaày nhaân töø, Chuùa khoâng coù lìa boû chuùng.

9:18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is your God that brought you up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

9:18 Daãu khi chuùng laøm moät con boø con ñöïc, maø raèng: Naáy laø thaàn ñaõ daãn caùc ngöôi leân khoûi EÂ-díp-toâ, vaø choïc cho Chuùa giaän nhieàu,

9:19 Yet you in your manifold mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way wherein they should go.

9:19 thì Chuùa vì söï thöông xoùt cuûa Chuùa, khoâng lìa boû chuùng trong ñoàng vaéng; truï maây daãn ñöôøng ban ngaøy, khoâng lìa khoûi treân chuùng, hoaëc truï löûa luùc ban ñeâm chieáu saùng vaø chæ cho chuùng con ñöôøng chuùng phaûi ñi.

9:20 You gave also your good spirit to instruct them, and withheld not your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

9:20 Chuùa cuõng ban cho chuùng Thaàn linh löông thieän cuûa Chuùa, ñeå daïy doã cho chuùng, khoâng töø choái cho mieäng chuùng aên ma-na, vaø ban cho chuùng nöôùc ñaëng uoáng khaùt.

9:21 Yea, forty years did you sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

9:21 Phaûi, Chuùa nuoâi döôõng chuùng boán möôi naêm trong ñoàng vaéng: chuùng chaúng thieáu thoán chi caû; quaàn aùo chuùng khoâng cuõ raùch, vaø chôn chuùng chaúng phuø leân.

9:22 Moreover you gave them kingdoms and nations, and did divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.

9:22 Vaû laïi, Chuùa ban cho chuùng nhöõng nöôùc vaø daân toäc, vaø phaân phaùt nöôùc aáy cho chuùng; chuùng nhaän ñöôïc nöôùc cuûa Si-hoân, töùc nöôùc cuûa vua Heát-boân, vaø nöôùc cuûa Oùc, vua Ba-san.

9:23 Their children also multiplied you as the stars of heaven, and brought them into the land, concerning which you had promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.

9:23 Chuùa cuõng theâm nhieàu con chaùu chuùng ñoâng nhö sao treân trôøi, ñöa chuùng vaøo xöù maø Chuùa ñaõ phaùn cuøng toå phuï chuùng raèng chuùng seõ vaøo ñoù ñaëng nhaän laáy xöù aáy.

9:24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.

9:24 aäy, con chaùu chuùng beøn vaøo nhaän laáy xöù, vaø Chuùa baét phuïc tröôùc maët hoï caùc daân cuûa xöù, laø daân Ca-na-an, phoù daân aáy vaø nhöõng vua chuùng noù cuøng caùc daân toäc cuûa xöù vaøo tay hoï, ñaëng hoï ñaõi caùc daân aáy theo yù mình muoán.

9:25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells dug, vineyards, and olive yards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

9:25 Hoï chieám laáy nhöõng thaønh beàn vöõng, vaø ruoäng ñaát maàu môõ, ñöôïc nhöõng nhaø ñaày caùc vaät toát laønh, nhöng gieáng ñaøo, vöôøn nho, vöôøn oâ-li-ve, vaø caây traùi raát nhieàu; chuùng aên, beøn ñöôïc no neâ, vaø maäp beùo, vui loøng trong söï nhaân töø lôùn lao cuûa Chuùa.

9:26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and cast your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they wrought great provocations.

9:26 Daàu vaäy, chuùng chaúng vaâng theo, beøn phaûn nghòch vôùi Chuùa, neùm boû luaät phaùp Chuùa sau löng, gieát caùc ñaáng tieân tri cuûa Chuùa, laø ngöôøi laøm chöùng nghòch cuøng hoï ñaëng ñem hoï trôû laïi cuøng Chuùa; song chuùng laïi choïc giaän Chuùa nhieàu thay.

9:27 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

9:27 Vì vaäy, Chuùa phoù hoï vaøo tay cöøu ñòch cuûa hoï; chuùng noù haø hieáp hoï. Trong thôøi hoaïn naïn chuùng keâu caàu cuøng Chuùa, thì töø caùc töøng trôøi Chuùa coù nghe ñeán; theo loøng nhaân töø lôùn lao cuûa Chuùa, Chuùa beøn ban cho nhöõng ñaáng giaûi cöùu ñeå cöùu chuùng khoûi tay keû cöøu ñòch mình.

9:28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before you: therefore left you them in the land of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and many times did you deliver them according to your mercies;

9:28 Nhöng khi chuùng ñöôïc an tònh, beøn khôûi laøm laïi ñieàu aùc tröôùc maët Chuùa; vì vaäy, Chuùa boû chuùng vaøo tay keû thuø nghòch ñeå quaûn haït chuùng; song khi chuùng trôû laïi, keâu caàu cuøng Chuùa, thì Chuùa töø treân trôøi nghe ñeán, vaø vì loøng thöông xoùt Chuùa, neân giaûi cöùu chuùng nhieàu laàn.

9:29 And testified against them, that you might bring them again unto your law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto your commandments, but sinned against your judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

9:29 Chuùa cuõng laøm chöùng nghòch cuøng chuùng, ñeå daãn daét chuùng trôû laïi luaät phaùp cuûa Ngaøi. Daàu vaäy, chuùng cö xöû caùch kieâu ngaïo khoâng nghe caùc ñieàu raên Chuùa, phaïm ñeán luaät leä cuûa Chuùa, laø luaät leä neáu ngöôøi naøo vaâng laøm theo, taát seõ ñöôïc soáng; chuùng ôû chaáp nhaát, cöùng coå mình, vaø khoâng khöùng nghe theo.

9:30 Yet many years did you forbear them, and testified against them by your spirit in your prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gave you them into the hand of the people of the lands.

9:30 Chuùa dung thöù chuùng nhieàu naêm vaø caäy Thaàn linh vaø caùc tieân tri cuûa Chuùa maø laøm chöùng nghòch cuøng chuùng; nhöng chuùng khoâng laéng tai nghe, neân Chuùa phoù chuùng vaøo tay daân toäc cuûa caùc xöù.

9:31 Nevertheless for your great mercies' sake you did not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.

9:31 Song, vì loøng thöông xoùt lôùn lao cuûa Chuùa, Chuùa khoâng coù taän dieät chuùng, cuõng khoâng lìa boû chuùng; vì Chuùa voán laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi hay thöông xoùt vaø nhôn töø.

9:32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keep covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before you, that has come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

9:32 Vaäy baây giôø, hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa chuùng toâi ôi! laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raát lôùn raát quyeàn naêng vaø ñaùng sôï, xin chôù coi nhoû moïn tröôùc maët Chuùa caùc vieäc ñau ñôùn cöïc nhoïc ñaõ giaùng treân chuùng toâi, treân caùc vua vaø caùc quan tröôûng, treân nhöõng thaày teá leã vaø caùc tieân tri, treân toå phuï chuùng toâi, vaø treân heát thaûy daân söï cuûa Chuùa, töø ñôøi caùc vua A-si-ri cho ñeán ngaøy nay.

9:37 And it yields much increase unto the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.

9:37 Xöù sanh ra nhieàu thoå saûn cho caùc vua maø Chuùa ñaõ laäp treân chuùng toâi taïi côù toäi loãi cuûa chuùng toâi: caùc vua aáy cuõng töï yù mình laán löôùt treân thaân theå chuùng toâi vaø caùc suùc vaät cuûa chuùng toâi, vaø chuùng toâi ñöông bò hoaïn naïn lôùn.

 Ne he mi - Nehemiah

13:1 On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;

13:1 Trong ngaøy ñoù, ngöôøi ta ñoïc saùch Moâi-se coù daân söï nghe; trong ñoù coù cheùp raèng ngöôøi Am-moân vaø ngöôøi Moâ-aùp ñôøi ñôøi khoâng ñöôïc vaøo hoäi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi,

13:2 Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: nevertheless our God turned the curse into a blessing.

13:2 bôûi vì chuùng noù khoâng ñem baùnh vaø nöôùc ñeán ñoùn daân Y-sô-ra-eân, song duøng baïc thænh Ba-la-am ñeán ruûa saû daân Y-sô-ra-eân (nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi ñoåi söï ruûa saû ra söï phöôùc haïnh).

13:3 Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

13:3 Xaûy khi chuùng ñaõ nghe luaät phaùp roài, beøn phaân reõ khoûi Y-sô-ra-eân caùc daân ngoaïi bang.

13:4 And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:

13:4 Vaû, tröôùc vieäc ñoù, thaày teá leã EÂ-li -a-síp, maø ñaõ ñöôïc laäp coi soùc caùc phoøng cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng toâi,

13:5 And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where in old times they laid the food offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

13:5 vaø laø baø con vôùi Toâ-bi-gia, coù saém söûa cho ngöôøi aáy moät caùi phoøng lôùn, laø nôi tröôùc ngöôøi ta duøng ñeå nhöõng cuûa leã chay, höông lieäu, khí duïng, thueá moät phaàn möôøi veà luùa mì, röôïu môùi, vaø daàu, töùc nhöõng vaät theo leä ñaõ ñònh cho ngöôøi Leâ-vi, keû ca haùt, vaø ngöôøi canh giöõ cöûa, luoân vôùi cuûa leã daâng giô leân cuûa thaày teá leã.

13:6 But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

13:6 Khi caùc ñieàu ñoù xaûy ñeán thì khoâng coù toâi ôû taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem; vì nhaèm naêm thöù ba möôi hai ñôøi Aït-ta-xeùt-xe, vua Ba-by-loân, toâi maéc phaûi trôû veà cuøng vua; cuoái moät ít laâu, toâi coù xin pheùp vua ñaëng ñi.

13:7 And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

13:7 Toâi ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, beøn hieåu ñieàu aùc maø EÂ-li -a-síp vì Toâ-bi-gia ñaõ laøm ra, vì coù saém söûa cho ngöôøi moät caùi phoøng trong haønh lang cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

13:8 And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff to Tobiah out of the chamber.

13:8 Toâi thaáy ñieàu ñoù laáy laøm cöïc teä, neân quaêng ra khoûi phoøng aáy caùc vaät duïng cuûa nhaø Toâ-bi-gia.

13:9 Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the food offering and the frankincense.

13:9 Ñoaïn, toâi bieåu ngöôøi ta doïn caùi phoøng aáy cho saïch seõ; keû aáy toâi ñem vaøo laïi caùc khí duïng cuûa ñeàn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, cuûa leã chay vaø höông lieäu.

13:10 And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.

13:10 Toâi cuõng hay raèng ngöôøi ta khoâng coù caáp caùc phaàn cuûa ngöôøi Leâ-vi cho hoï; vì vaäy, nhöõng keû ca haùt vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi haàu vieäc, ai naáy ñeàu ñaõ troán veà ñoàng ruoäng mình.

13:11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

13:11 Toâi beøn quôû traùch caùc quan tröôûng, maø raèng: Côù sao ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi bò boû nhö vaäy? Ñoaïn, toâi hieäp laïi chuùng maø ñaët hoï trong chöùc cuõ mình.

13:12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

13:12 Baáy giôø, caû Giu-ña ñeàu ñem ñeán trong kho thueá moät phaàn möôøi veà luùa mì, röôïu môùi, vaø daàu.

13:13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

13:13 Toâi ñaët Seâ-leâ-mia, thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác, kyù luïc, vaø Pheâ-ña-gia trong caùc ngöôøi Leâ-vi, coi caùc kho taøng; coøn Ha-nan, con trai cuûa Xaùc-cua, chaùu Maùt-ta-nia, laøm phoù; caùc ngöôøi aáy ñöôïc keå laø trung thaønh, vaø boån phaän chuùng laø phaân phaùt vaät cho anh em mình.

13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

13:14 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! vì côù ñieàu naøy, xin nhôù ñeán toâi, vaø chôù boâi xoùa caùc vieäc toát laønh maø toâi ñaõ laøm vì ñeàn cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi vaø veà ñieàu phaûi gìn giöõ taïi ñoù.

13:15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.

13:15 Veà luùc ñoù, toâi thaáy trong Giu-ña, maáy ngöôøi eùp nho nôi maùy eùp röôïu nhaèm ngaøy sa-baùt, ñem boù luùa mình vaøo, chôû noù treân löøa, vaø cuõng chôû röôïu, traùi nho, traùi vaû, vaø caùc vaät naëng, maø ñem veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem trong ngaøy sa-baùt. Ngaøy chuùng noù baùn vaät thöïc aáy, toâi coù laøm chöùng nghòch cuøng chuùng noù.

13:16 There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

13:16 Cuõng coù ngöôøi Ty-rô ôû taïi ñoù, ñem caù vaø caùc thöù haøng hoùa ñeán baùn cho ngöôøi Giu-ña vaø taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem trong ngaøy sa-baùt.

13:17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that all of you do, and profane the sabbath day?

13:17 Baáy giôø toâi quôû traùch caùc ngöôøi töôùc vò Giu-ña, maø raèng: Vieäc xaáu xa caùc ngöôi laøm ñaây laø chi, maø laøm cho oâ ueá ngaøy sa-baùt?

13:18 Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet all of you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

13:18 Toå phuï caùc ngöôi haù chaúng ñaõ laøm nhö vaäy sao? Neân noãi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi haù chaúng coù daãn tai hoïa kia ñeán treân chuùng ta vaø treân thaønh naøy ö? Coøn caùc ngöôi laøm oâ ueá ngaøy sa-baùt maø taêng theâm côn thaïnh noä cho Y-sô-ra-eân!

13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

13:19 Aáy vaäy, khi caùc cöûa Gieâ-ru-sa-lem khôûi khuaát trong boùng toái tröôùc ngaøy sa-baùt, toâi beøn truyeàn ngöôøi ta ñoùng cöûa laïi vaø daën bieåu chuùng noù chæ môû noù ra sau ngaøy sa-baùt; laïi caét ñaët maáy keû trong ñaày tôù toâi giöõ cöûa ñeå khoâng ai gaùnh chôû ñoà vaøo thaønh trong ngaøy sa-baùt.

13:20 So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.

13:20 Vaäy, keû buoân ngöôøi baùn caùc thöù haøng hoùa moät hai laàn ban ñeâm phaûi nguû ôû ngoaøi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

13:21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge all of you about the wall? if all of you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.

13:21 Ñoaïn, toâi quôû traùch chuùng noù maø raèng: Côù sao caùc ngöôi ban ñeâm nguû taïi tröôùc vaùch thaønh nhö vaäy? Neáu caùc ngöôi coøn laøm nöõa, taát caû seõ tra tay treân caùc ngöôi. Töø luùc ñoù veà sau, chuùng noù khoâng coù ñeán nhaèm ngaøy sa-baùt nöõa.

13:22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy.

13:22 Toâi daïy bieåu ngöôøi Leâ-vi vaø ñeán canh giöõ caùc cöûa, ñaëng bieät ngaøy sa-baùt ra thaùnh. Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! xin haõy vì toâi nhôù ñeán ñieàu ñoù, vaø xin thöông xoùt toâi tuøy söï nhaân töø lôùn lao cuûa Ngaøi.

13:23 In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

13:23 Cuõng trong luùc ñoù, toâi thaáy nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña laáy ñôøn baø Aùch-ñoát, Am-moân, vaø Moâ-aùp, laøm vôï;

13:24 And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.

13:24 con caùi cuûa chuùng noù noùi phaàn nöûa tieáng Aùch-ñoát, khoâng bieát noùi tieáng Giu-ña, nhöng noùi tuøy theo tieáng cuûa daân naøy hay laø daân kia.

13:25 And I contended with them, and cursed them, and stroke certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, All of you shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

13:25 Toâi quôû traùch chuùng noù, ruûa saû chuùng noù, ñaùnh ñaäp moät vaøi ngöôøi trong chuùng noù, nhoå toùc chuùng noù bieåu chuùng noù chæ Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi theà, maø raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ khoâng gaû con gaùi mình cho con trai hoï, hay laø cöôùi con gaùi hoï cho con trai mình, hoaëc laø cöôùi cho chaùnh mình caùc ngöôi!

13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.

13:26 Sa-loâ-moân, vua Y-sô-ra-eân haù chaúng coù phaïm toäi trong ñieàu ñoù sao? Vaû, trong nhieàu daân toäc khoâng coù moät vua naøo gioáng nhö ngöôøi; ngöôøi ñöôïc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaët ngöôøi laøm vua treân caû Y-sô-ra-eân: daãu vaäy, ngöôøi cuõng bò ñôøn baø ngoaïi bang xui cho phaïm toäi!

13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

13:27 Chuùng ta haù seõ nghe theo caùc ngöôi maø laøm nhöõng ñieàu aùc lôùn naøy, laáy ngöôøi ñôøn baø ngoaïi bang maø vi phaïm cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta sao?

13:28 And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.

13:28 Coù moät trong caùc con trai cuûa Gioâ-gia-ña, chaùu EÂ-li -a-síp, thaày teá leã thöôïng phaåm, laø reå cuûa San-ba-laùt, ngöôøi Hoâ-roân; vì côù aáy toâi ñuoåi haén khoûi toâi.

13:29 Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.

13:29 Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi! xin nhôù laïi chuùng noù, vì chuùng noù ñaõ laøm oâ ueá chöùc teá leã vaø söï giao öôùc cuûa chöùc teá leã vaø cuûa ngöôøi Leâ-vi.

13:30 Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;

13:30 Nhö vaäy, toâi doïn saïch chuùng cho khoûi caùc keû ngoaïi bang, vaø ñònh ban thöù cho nhöõng thaày teá leã vaø ngöôøi Leâ-vi, moãi ngöôøi trong chöùc vieäc mình;

13:31 And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the first-fruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. #@#

13:31 cuõng khieán daân söï daâng cuûi theo kyø nhaát ñònh vaø caùc thoå saûn ñaàu muøa. Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi oâi, xin haõy nhôù ñeán toâi maø laøm ôn cho toâi!
