 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

15:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

15:1 Caùch ít laâu, Aùp-sa-loâm saém xe vaø ngöïa vôùi naêm möôi quaân chaïy tröôùc maët mình.

15:2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city are you? And he said, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

15:2 Aùp-sa-loâm daäy sôùm, ñöùng nôi meù ñöôøng vaøo cöûa thaønh. Neáu gaëp ai coù söï kieän thöa chi ñi ñeán vua ñaëng caàu xeùt ñoaùn, thì Aùp-sa-loâm goïi ngöôøi aáy hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi ôû thaønh naøo? Neáu hoï ñaùp: Toâi tôù oâng thuoäc veà chi phaùi kia cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân,

15:3 And Absalom said unto him, See, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear you.

15:3 thì Aùp-sa-loâm tieáp raèng: Söï tình cuûa ngöôi thaät phaûi vaø coâng bình; nhöng nôi ñeàn vua naøo coù ai ñeå nghe ngöôi ñaâu.

15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which has any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!

15:4 Ñoaïn, Aùp-sa-loâm tieáp raèng: OÀ! chôù chi ngöôøi ta laäp ta laøm quan xeùt trong xöù! Phaøm ngöôøi naøo coù vieäc tranh tuïng hay kieän caùo gì caàn ñoaùn xeùt, seõ ñeán ta, thì ta seõ xöû ñoaùn coâng bình cho hoï.

15:5 And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him reverence, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.

15:5 Neáu coù ai ñeán gaàn ñaëng laïy ngöôøi, Aùp-sa-loâm giô tay ra ñôõ laáy ngöôøi vaø hoân.

15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

15:6 Aùp-sa-loâm laøm nhö vaäy ñoái cuøng heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñi ñeán tìm vua, ñaëng caàu ñoaùn xeùt; vaø Aùp-sa-loâm duï laáy loøng ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân vaäy.

15:7 And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray you, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.

15:7 Cuoái boán naêm, Aùp-sa-loâm noùi cuøng vua raèng: Xin cho pheùp con ñi ñeán Heáp-roân ñaëng traû xong söï höùa nguyeän maø toâi ñaõ khaán vôùi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

15:8 For your servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

15:8 Vì luùc toâi tôù vua ôû taïi Gheâ-su-rô trong Sy-ri, coù khaán lôøi nguyeän naày: Neáu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va daãn toâi veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, thì toâi seõ thôø phöôïng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

15:9 And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

15:9 Vua ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi bình an. Vaäy ngöôøi choåi daäy, vaø ñi ñeán Heáp-roân.

15:10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as all of you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all of you shall say, Absalom reigns in Hebron.

15:10 Aùp-sa-loâm sai nhöõng keû do thaùm rao lònh naày khaép trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Thoaït khi anh em nghe tieáng keøn, thì haõy noùi: Aùp-sa-loâm laøm vua taïi Heáp-roân!

15:11 And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.

15:11 Coù hai traêm ngöôøi ôû Gieâ-ru-sa-lem maø Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ môøi, ñeàu ñi vôùi ngöôøi caùch thaät thaø chaúng nghi ngaïi chi heát.

15:12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

15:12 Ñöông luùc Aùp-sa-loâm daâng cuûa leã, beøn sai môøi A-hi-toâ-phe, laø möu só cuûa Ña-vít ôû Ghi-loâ, boån thaønh ngöôøi. Söï phaûn nghòch trôû neân maïnh, vaø ñoaøn daân ñi theo Aùp-sa-loâm cuøng ngaøy caøng ñoâng.

15:13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

15:13 Coù ngöôøi ñeán baùo tin cho Ña-vít raèng: Loøng cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân nghieâng veà Aùp-sa-loâm.

15:14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.

15:14 Ña-vít beøn noùi cuøng caùc toâi tôù ôû vôùi mình taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem raèng: Haõy choåi daäy vaø chaïy troán ñi, baèng chaúng, chuùng ta khoâng theá thoaùt khoûi Aùp-sa-loâm ñöôïc. Haõy ñi mau mau, e noù seõ ñeán kòp chuùng ta, laøm haïi cho chuùng ta, vaø duøng göôm dieät thaønh.

15:15 And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, your servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.

15:15 Caùc toâi tôù cuûa vua thöa raèng: Phaøm vieäc gì vua chuùa chuùng toâi nhöùt ñònh, thì caùc toâi tôù vua seõ saün laøm theo.

15:16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.

15:16 Vaäy, vua ra ñi, coù caû nhaø ngöôøi cuøng theo; nhöng vua ñeå laïi möôøi ngöôøi cung phi ñaëng giöõ ñeàn.

15:17 And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

15:17 Theá thì, vua ñi ra, coù caû daân söï theo sau; chuùng döøng laïi taïi nhaø ôû cuoái choùt thaønh.

15:18 And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

15:18 Heát thaûy toâi tôù cuûa vua vaø caû ngöôøi Keâ-reâ-thít, ngöôøi Pheâ-leâ-thít ñeàu ñi ôû beân vua, coøn ngöôøi Ghi-tít, soá saùu traêm ngöôøi ôû Gaùt ñeán theo vua, ñeàu ñi ñaøng tröôùc.

15:19 Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore go you also with us? return to your place, and abide with the king: for you are a stranger, and also an exile.

15:19 Vua beøn noùi cuøng Y-tai, ngöôøi Ghi-tít raèng: Côù sao ngöôi cuõng muoán ñeán cuøng chuùng ta? Haõy trôû laïi, ôû vôùi vua, bôûi vì ngöôi laø moät ngöôøi ngoaïi bang ñaõ lìa xöù ngöôi.

15:20 Whereas you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go up and down with us? seeing I go where I may, return you, and take back your brethren: mercy and truth be with you.

15:20 Ngöôi môùi ñeán hoâm qua, vaø hoâm nay ta haù seõ cho ngöôi laïc laøi ñaây ñoù vôùi chuùng ta sao? Coøn ta, ta ñi ñaâu khoâng roõ. Vaäy, haõy trôû veà vaø daãn caùc anh em ngöôi theo ngöôi. Nguyeän söï thöông xoùt vaø söï thaønh tín ôû cuøng ngöôi!

15:21 And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will your servant be.

15:21 Nhöng Y-tai thöa cuøng vua raèng: Toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, vaø chæ maïng soáng cuûa vua chuùa toâi maø theà, heã vua chuùa toâi ôû ñaâu, hoaëc trong söï cheát, hoaëc trong söï soáng, thì keû toâi tôù vua cuõng seõ ôû ñoù.

15:22 And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.

15:22 Vua Ña-vít beøn noùi vôùi Y-tai raèng: Vaäy, haõy ñeán ñi tröôùc. Theá thì, Y-tai ngöôøi Ghi-tít cuøng heát thaûy con treû theo mình, vaø caû boïn ngöôøi ñeàu ñi tôùi tröôùc.

15:23 And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

15:24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.

15:24 ÔÛ ñoù cuõng coù Xa-ñoác vaø heát thaûy ngöôøi Leâ-vi khieâng hoøm giao öôùc cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Hoï ñeå hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi xuoáng ñaát, roài A-bia-tha ñi leân tröôùc cho ñeán khi heát thaûy daân söï ñaõ ra khoûi thaønh xuoáng roài.

15:25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

15:25 Vua beøn noùi cuøng Xa-ñoác raèng: Haõy thænh hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaøo trong thaønh. Neáu ta ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, aét Ngaøi seõ ñem ta veà, cho ta thaáy laïi hoøm giao öôùc vaø nôi ngöï cuûa Ngaøi.

15:26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in you; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seems good unto him.

15:26 Nhöng neáu Ngaøi phaùn nhö vaày: Ta khoâng öa thích ngöôi; theá thì, nguyeän Ngaøi xöû ta theo yù Ngaøi laáy laøm toát!

15:27 The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Are not you a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

15:27 Vua laïi noùi cuøng thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác raèng: Naày nghe, haõy trôû veà thaønh bình an, vôùi A-bia-tha, A-hi-maùt, vaø Gioâ-na-than, laø hai con trai ngöôi.

15:28 See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.

15:28 Coøn ta, ta seõ ñôïi taïi trong ñoàng baèng cuûa sa maïc cho ñeán khi coù keû bôûi caùc ngöôi ñem tin baùo cho ta.

15:29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.

15:29 Aáy vaäy, Xa-ñoác vaø A-bia-tha thænh hoøm cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vaø hoï ôû laïi taïi ñoù.

15:30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

15:30 Ña-vít treøo leân nuùi OÂ-li-ve; ngöôøi vöøa leo leân vöøa khoùc, ñaàu truøm laïi vaø chôn khoâng. Heát thaûy ngöôøi ñi theo cuõng truøm ñaàu, vöøa treøo leân vöøa khoùc.

15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray you, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

15:31 Ngöôøi ta beøn ñeán noùi cuøng Ña-vít raèng: A-hi-toâ-phe cuõng hieäp ñaûng phaûn nghòch vôùi Aùp-sa-loâm. Ña-vít caàu raèng: Oâi, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va! xin laøm cho nhöõng möu chöôùc cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe ra ngu daïi.

15:32 And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:

15:32 Khi Ña-vít ñaõ ñi ñeán choùt nuùi, taïi nôi ngöôøi ta thôø laïy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì Hu-sai, ngöôøi Aït-kít, ñeán ñoùn ngöôøi, aùo xeù raùch vaø ñaàu ñaày buïi ñaát.

15:33 Unto whom David said, If you pass on with me, then you shall be a burden unto me:

15:33 Ña-vít noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Neáu ngöôi ñeán cuøng ta, taát ngöôi seõ laøm khoù nhoïc cho ta.

15:34 But if you return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father's servant until now, so will I now also be your servant: then may you for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

15:34 Nhöng neáu ngöôi trôû veà thaønh, vaø noùi cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Oâi vua! toâi laø keû toâi tôù vua. Thuôû tröôùc toâi ñaõ phuïc söï vua cha theå naøo, baây giôø toâi seõ phuïc söï vua theå aáy, vaäy ngöôi seõ vì ta laøm baïi möu chöôùc cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe.

15:35 And have you not there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that whatsoever you shall hear out of the king's house, you shall tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

15:35 Hai thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác vaø A-bia-tha seõ ñoàng cuøng ngöôi. Phaøm vieäc chi ngöôi hay ñöôïc veà nhaø vua, ngöôi phaûi thuaät cho hai thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác vaø A-bia-tha bieát.

15:36 Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them all of you shall send unto me every thing that all of you can hear.

15:36 Hai ngöôøi coù hai ñöùa con trai theo mình, laø A-hi-maùt, con trai cuûa Xa-ñoác, vaø Gioâ-na-than, con trai cuûa A-bia-tha; caùc ngöôi phaûi duøng chuùng noù ñeå baùo tin cho ta moïi ñieàu mình seõ nghe thaáy.

15:37 So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.

15:37 Vaäy, Hu-sai, baïn höõu cuûa Ña-vít, trôû veà thaønh ñöông khi Aùp-sa-loâm vaøo trong Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

16:1 And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

16:1 Ña-vít vöøa treøo qua khoûi choùt nuùi, thì Xíp-ba, toâi tôù cuûa Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, ñeán ñoùn vua vôùi hai con löøa mang baønh chôû hai traêm oå baùnh, moät traêm caùi baùnh nhoû baèng traùi nho, moät traêm caùi baùnh nhoû baèng traùi vaû, vaø moät baàu röôïu nho.

16:2 And the king said unto Ziba, What mean you by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

16:2 Vua hoûi Xíp-ba raèng: Ngöôi coù yù duøng ñieàu ñoù laøm chi? Xíp-ba thöa raèng: Hai con löøa duøng laøm vaät côõi cho nhaø vua; baùnh vaø traùi nho duøng laøm ñoà aên cho caùc ngöôøi trai treû, coøn röôïu ñeå duøng cho ngöôøi keû meät nhoïc trong ñoàng vaéng uoáng.

16:3 And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abides at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

16:3 Vua hoûi: Vaäy, con trai cuûa chuû ngöôi ñaâu? Xíp-ba thöa: Ngöôøi ôû laïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vì noùi raèng: Ngaøy nay nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân seõ traû nöôùc cuûa cha ta laïi cho ta.

16:4 Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, yours are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly plead to you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.

16:4 Vua beøn noùi cuøng Xíp-ba raèng: Theá thì, moïi vaät thuoäc veà Meâ-phi-boâ-seát ñeàu neân cuûa ngöôi. Xíp-ba tieáp: Naày toâi phuïc döôùi chôn vua. Vua oâi, öôùc gì toâi ñöôïc ôn tröôùc maët vua chuùa toâi!

16:5 And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

16:5 Vua Ña-vít vöøa ñeán Ba-hu-rim, thaáy ôû ñoù ñi ra moät ngöôøi veà doøng doõi nhaø Sau-lô, teân laø Si-meâ -i, con trai cuûa Ghe-ra. Ngöôøi vöøa ñi tôùi vöøa ruûa saû,

16:6 And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

16:6 neùm ñaù vaøo Ña-vít vaø caùc toâi tôù cuûa vua; caû daân söï vaø caùc doõng só ñeàu vaây phuû vua beân höõu vaø beân taû.

16:7 And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial:

16:7 Si-meâ -i ruûa saû Ña-vít nhö lôøi naày: ÔÙ ngöôøi huyeát, ngöôøi gian taø kia! haõy ñi naø, haõy ñi naø!

16:8 The LORD has returned upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose position you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: and, behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man.

16:8 Ngöôøi ñaõ töï laøm vua thay vì Sau-lô, neân baây giôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khieán nhöõng huyeát cuûa nhaø ngöôøi ñoå laïi treân ngöôi; Ngaøi seõ phoù nöôùc vaøo tay Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai ngöôi; vaø kìa, chính ngöôi bò hoaïn naïn, bôûi vì ngöôi laø moät ngöôøi huyeát.

16:9 Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray you, and take off his head.

16:9 Baáy giôø, A-bi-sai, con trai cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, taâu vôùi vua raèng: Côù sao con choù cheát kia daùm maéng vua chuùa toâi? Haõy ñeå toâi ñi cheùm ñaàu noù.

16:10 And the king said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD has said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore have you done so?

16:10 Nhöng vua ñaùp raèng: Hôõi caùc con trai Xeâ-ru-gia, ta coù can heä gì vôùi caùc ngöôi? Haõy ñeå Si-meâ -i ruûa saû. Aáy laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ruûa saû Ña-vít. Vaäy ai daùm noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Côù sao ngöôi laøm nhö vaäy?

16:11 And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came out of my bowels, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has bidden him.

16:11 Ñoaïn, Ña-vít noùi vôùi A-bi-sai vaø caùc toâi tôù mình raèng: Kìa, con ruoät ta, laø keû do loøng ta sanh ra, coøn muoán haïi maïng soáng ta thay; phöông chi ngöôøi Beân-gia-min naày! Haõy ñeå cho noù laøm, ñeå noù ruûa saû, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën noù laøm vaäy.

16:12 It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

16:12 Coù leõ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ ñoaùi xem söï hoaïn naïn ta, laáy phöôùc traû laïi theá cho söï ruûa saû maø ta bò ngaøy nay.

16:13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side opposite to him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

16:13 Ña-vít vaø caùc toâi tôù ngöôøi cöù ñi; coøn Si-meâ -i ñi theo hoâng nuùi, ñoái ngang Ña-vít. Ngöôøi vöøa ñi vöøa ruûa saû Ña-vít, neùm ñaù ngöôøi, vaø haát buïi leân.

16:14 And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

16:14 Nhö vaäy, vua vaø caû daân chuùng theo vua ñeàu meät nhoïc, ñi ñeán moät nôi, vaø nghæ khoûe taïi ñoù.

16:15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

16:15 Aùp-sa-loâm vaø heát thaûy ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu ñaõ vaøo Gieâ-ru-sa-lem roài, vaø A-hi-toâ-phe theo ngöôøi.

16:16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

16:16 Khi Hu-sai, ngöôøi Aït-kít, baïn höõu cuûa Ña-vít, ñeán beân Aùp-sa-loâm, thì noùi raèng: Vua vaïn tueá! vua vaïn tueá!

16:17 And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this your kindness to your friend? why went you not with your friend?

16:17 Aùp-sa-loâm noùi vôùi Hu-sai raèng: Aáy coù phaûi laø söï nhôn töø maø ngöôøi duøng ñaõi baïn ngöôi ö? Sao ngöôi khoâng ñi theo baïn ngöôi?

16:18 And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.

16:18 Hu-sai ñaùp cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Khoâng; toâi seõ thuoäc veà ai laø ngöôøi ñöôïc Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va löïa choïn, ñöôïc daân söï naày vaø caû nhaø Y-sô-ra-eân löïa choïn; toâi seõ ôû cuøng ngöôøi ñoù.

16:19 And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence.

16:19 Vaû laïi, ai laø ngöôøi toâi seõ phuïc söï? Haù chaúng phaûi con trai cuûa vua ö? Toâi seõ laøm toâi tôù oâng nhö ñaõ laøm toâi tôù cuûa thaân phuï oâng vaäy.

16:20 Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

16:20 Aùp-sa-loâm beøn noùi cuøng A-hi-toâ-phe raèng: Hai ngöôi haõy möu cuøng nhau ñaëng ñònh ñeàu chuùng ta phaûi laøm.

16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto your father's concubines, which he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred of your father: then shall the hands of all that are with you be strong.

16:21 A-hi-toâ-phe ñaùp cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Haõy ñi ñeán cuøng caùc cung phi cuûa thaân phuï oâng ñaõ ñeå laïi ñaëng giöõ ñeàn. Khi caû Y-sô-ra-eân hay raèng oâng ñaõ sæ nhuïc thaân phuï oâng nhö vaäy, thì heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi ôû cuøng oâng laïi seõ caøng maïnh meõ hôn.

16:22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

16:22 Vaäy, ngöôøi ta che cho Aùp-sa-loâm moät caùi traïi ôû treân saân noùc ñeàn; roài tröôùc maët caû Y-sô-ra-eân, Aùp-sa-loâm ñi ñeán cuøng caùc cung phi cuûa cha mình.

16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

16:23 Vaû, trong luùc ñoù, ngöôøi ta coi möu cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe nhö lôøi phaùn cuûa chính Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Giaù trò caùc möu cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe, hoaëc ñoái cuøng Ña-vít, hoaëc ñoái cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm, ñeàu laø nhö vaäy.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:

17:1 A-hi-toâ-phe laïi noùi cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Xin cho pheùp toâi choïn möôøi hai ngaøn quaân. Toâi seõ keùo ra ñuoåi theo Ña-vít noäi ñeâm nay.

17:2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will strike the king only:

17:2 Toâi seõ xoâng vaøo ngöôøi trong luùc ngöôøi meät moûi, ngaõ loøng, vaø laøm cho ngöôøi kinh khieáp; caû daân chuùng ñi theo ngöôøi seõ chaïy troán, vaø toâi seõ gieát moät mình vua.

17:3 And I will bring back all the people unto you: the man whom you seek is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.

17:3 Nhö vaäy, toâi seõ daãn caû daân chuùng trôû veà cuøng oâng; vì söï cheát cuûa moät mình ngöôøi maø oâng vaãn ñuoåi theo ñoù, seõ khieán cho moïi ngöôøi trôû veà; vaäy, caû daân chuùng seõ ñöôïc bình yeân.

17:4 And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.

17:4 Aùp-sa-loâm vaø caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu nhaän lôøi aáy laø phaûi.

17:5 Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he says.

17:5 Song Aùp-sa-loâm noùi raèng: Haõy vôøi Hu-sai, ngöôøi Aït-kít ñeán, ñeå chuùng ta cuõng nghe lôøi ngöôøi baøn nöõa.

17:6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spoke unto him, saying, Ahithophel has spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak you.

17:6 Hu-sai ñaõ vaøo trong ñeàn Aùp-sa-loâm, thì Aùp-sa-loâm noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: A-hi-toâ-phe ñaõ noùi lôøi nhö vaäy; chuùng ta coù neân laøm theo lôøi ngöôøi ñaõ baøn hay chaêng?

17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel has given is not good at this time.

17:7 Hu-sai beøn ñaùp cuøng Aùp-sa-loâm raèng: Laàn naày, lôøi baøn cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe khoâng ñöôïc toát laønh.

17:8 For, said Hushai, you know your father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and your father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.

17:8 Ngöôøi tieáp raèng: Vua ñaõ bieát vua cha vaø caùc ngöôøi cuûa vua cha, laø nhöõng doõng só, coù loøng noùng giaän khaùc naøo gaáu caùi treân röøng bò ngöôøi ta baét con noù. Laïi nöõa, vua cha, laø moät ngöôøi thaïo vieäc chieán traän, chaéc chaúng ôû ñeâm cuøng ñaïo binh ñaâu.

17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever hears it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.

17:9 Quaû luùc naày ngöôøi aån mình trong moät hang hoá naøo hay laø trong choã naøo khaùc. Neáu khôûi tieân, chuùng ta bò thua, heát thaûy nhöõng keû nghe seõ noùi raèng: Phe cuûa Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ bò thua.

17:10 And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.

17:10 Baây giôø, keû maïnh baïo hôn heát, daàu coù loøng nhö sö töû, cuõng phaûi naùt gan; vì caû Y-sô-ra-eân bieát raèng vua cha laø moät tay anh huøng, vaø nhöõng keû theo ngöôøi ñeàu laø can ñaûm.

17:11 Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that you go to battle in yours own person.

17:11 Neân toâi baøn raèng thaø heát thaûy daân Y-sô-ra-eân, töø Ñan cho ñeán Beâ -e-Seâ-ba, hieäp laïi chung quanh oâng, ñoâng nhö caùt treân bôø bieån, thì hôn. Oâng seõ thaân haønh ra traän.

17:12 So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falls on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.

17:12 Voâ luaän ngöôøi ôû choã naøo, chuùng ta seõ xoâng ñeán ngöôøi, ñaùp treân ngöôøi nhö söông sa treân ñaát; tröôùc ngöôøi vaø keû theo ngöôøi cuõng khoâng theå thoaùt khoûi ñöôïc.

17:13 Moreover, if he be got into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.

17:13 Neáu ngöôøi aån mình trong thaønh naøo, caû Y-sô-ra-eân taát seõ laáy daây voøng chung quanh thaønh ñoù, roài keùo thaønh ñoù xuoáng ñaùy khe, ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi ta khoâng thaáy moät cuïc ñaù naøo coøn laïi.

17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.

17:14 Baáy giôø, Aùp-sa-loâm vaø caû daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu noùi raèng: Möu cuûa Hu-sai, ngöôøi Aït-kít, hay hôn möu cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe. Vaû, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñònh laøm baïi möu khoân ngoan cuûa A-hi-toâ-phe, haàu giaùng söï tai hoïa treân Aùp-sa-loân vaäy.

17:15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.

17:15 Baáy giôø, Hu-sai noùi cuøng hai thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác vaø A-bia-tha, raèng: A-hi-toâ-phe coù daâng möu noï möu kia cho Aùp-sa-loâm, vaø cho caùc tröôûng laõo Y-sô-ra-eân, nhöng ta laïi daâng möu khaùc naày.

17:16 Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.

17:16 Vaäy baây giôø, haõy mau mau baùo tin cho Ña-vít maø raèng: Chôù ôû ñeâm ngoaøi ñoàng baèng cuûa sa maïc; haõy ñi tôùi xa hôn, keûo vua vaø caùc ngöôøi ñi theo phaûi bò tai vaï chaêng.

17:17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a maid servant went and told them; and they went and told king David.

17:17 Gioâ-na-than vaø A-hi-maùt ñöùng tai Eân-Roâ-gheân, khoâng daùm vaøo trong thaønh, e ngöôøi ta thaáy; moät con ñoøi ñeán baùo tin cho hai ngöôøi phaûi baùo laïi cho vua Ña-vít.

17:18 Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; where they went down.

17:18 Nhöng coù moät ngöôøi trai treû thaáy hoï, beøn ñeán thuaät cho Aùp-sa-loâm hay. Hai ngöôøi ñaõ voäi vaõ cuøng ñi vaø ñeán nhaø cuûa moät ngöôøi ôû Ba-hu-rim; trong saân ngöôøi coù moät caùi gieáng, hai ngöôøi beøn xuoáng ñoù.

17:19 And the woman took and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.

17:19 Vôï cuûa ngöôøi naày laáy moät caùi meàn traûi treân mieäng gieáng, tröôùc treân ñoù ngöôøi raûi phôi luùa maïch, cho ngöôøi ta khoâng nghi ngôø chi heát.

17:20 And when Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.

17:20 Caùc toâi tôù cuûa Aùp-sa-loâm ñeán nhaø ngöôøi nöõ naày maø hoûi raèng: A-hi-maùt vaø Gioâ-na-than ôû ñaâu? Ngöôøi nöõ ñaùp raèng: Hai ngöôøi ñaõ qua suoái roài. Vaäy, hoï ñi theo tìm, song khoâng gaëp, beøn trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

17:21 And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you.

17:21 Sau khi chuùng ñi roài, A-hi-maùt vaø Gioâ-na-than ñi leân khoûi gieáng, roài ñi baùo tin naày cho Ña-vít, raèng: Haõy choåi daäy, mau qua soâng, vì A-hi-toâ-phe ñaõ beøn ñònh möu naày nghòch cuøng vua.

17:22 Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.

17:22 Ña-vít beøn choåi daäy, vôùi caû daân theo ngöôøi, roài ñi qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh. Vöøa raïng ñoâng, chaúng coøn soùt moät ngöôøi naøo chöa qua soâng.

17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and got him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.

17:24 Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.

17:24 Ñöông luùc Ña-vít ñi ñeán Ma-ha-na-im, thì Aùp-sa-loâm ñi ngang qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh, coù caû ñaïo quaân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi theo.

17:25 And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother.

17:25 Aùp-sa-loâm ñaõ laäp A-ma-sa laøm toång binh theá cho Gioâ-aùp. Vaû, A-ma-sa laø con trai cuûa moät ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân, teân laø Gít-ra, xöa ñaõ aên ôû cuøng A-bi-ganh, laø con gaùi cuûa Na-haùch, chò cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, meï cuûa Gioâ-aùp.

17:26 So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.

17:26 Y-sô-ra-eân ñoùng traïi vôùi Aùp-sa-loâm taïi trong xöù Ga-la-aùt.

17:27 And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,

17:27 Khi Ña-vít ñaõ ñeán Ma-ha-na-im, thì Soâ-bi, con trai Na-haùch, queâ ôû Raùp-ba, laø thaønh cuûa daân Am-moân, vôùi Ma-ki, con trai A-mi-eân ôû thaønh Loâ-ñeâ-ba, vaø Baùt-xi-lai, ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt, ôû thaønh Roâ-gheâ-lim, ñeàu ñem cho Ña-vít vaø cho caû daân theo ngöôøi

17:28 Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentils, and parched vegetables,

17:28 nhöõng giöôøng, cheùn, chaäu ñaát, luùa mì, luùa maïch, boät mì, hoät rang, ñaäu, phaïn ñaäu, vaø caùc thöù hoät rang khaùc,

17:29 And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of cattle, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.

17:29 maät ong, môõ söõa, con chieân, vaø baùnh söõa boø, ñaëng cho Ña-vít vaø ñaïo quaân ngöôøi aên; vì chuùng noùi raèng: Daân söï ñaõ ñoùi khaùt vaø meät nhoïc trong ñoàng vaéng.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

18:1 And David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds over them.

18:1 Ña-vít ñieåm daân söï ñi theo mình, roài ñaët ôû tröôùc ñaàu chuùng nhöõng tröôûng cuûa ngaøn ngöôøi, tröôûng cuûa traêm ngöôøi.

18:2 And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.

18:2 Ngöôøi chia daân ra laøm ba toaùn, khieán Gioâ-aùp laõnh moät toaùn, A-bi-sai, con cuûa Xeâ-ru-gia, em cuûa Gioâ-aùp, laõnh moät toaùn, coøn Y-tai, ngöôøi Gaùt, laõnh moät toaùn. Ñoaïn, vua noùi cuøng daân söï raèng: Haún ta cuõng seõ ñi ra vôùi caùc ngöôi.

18:3 But the people answered, You shall not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now you are worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that you help us out of the city.

18:3 Nhöng daân söï thöa raèng: Vua chôù ñeán, vì neáu chuùng toâi chaïy troán, thuø nghòch seõ khoâng laáy laøm heä troïng gì, vaø daãu ñeán ñoãi phaân nöûa chuùng toâi coù cheát ñi, thì chuùng noù cuõng khoâng chuù yù ñeán; coøn vua, vua baèng moät vaïn chuùng toâi. Vaäy thaø vua ôû trong thaønh chöïc saün tieáp cöùu chuùng toâi thì hôn.

18:4 And the king said unto them, What seems you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate side, and all the people came out by hundreds and by thousands.

18:4 Vua tieáp raèng: Ta seõ laøm ñieàu chi caùc ngöôi laáy laøm phaûi. Vaäy, ngöôøi ñöùng taïi cöûa thaønh trong khi daân söï keùo ñi töøng toaùn traêm vaø ngaøn.

18:5 And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.

18:5 Vua truyeàn lònh naày cho Gioâ-aùp, A-bi-sai, vaø Y-tai maø raèng: Haõy vì côù ta dong cho Aùp-sa-loâm trai treû. Caû daân ñeàu nghe lôøi vua caên daën cho caùc tröôûng vì Aùp-sa-loân.

18:6 So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim;

18:6 Daân söï keùo ra ñoàng, ñoùn quaân Y-sô-ra-eân, giao chieán taïi trong röøng Eùp-ra-im.

18:7 Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.

18:7 Ñaïo quaân Y-sô-ra-eân bò caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít ñaùnh baïi; thaät aáy laø moät traän thua lôùn, trong ngaøy ñoù cheát maát hai vaïn ngöôøi.

18:8 For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.

18:8 Chieán tranh lan khaép mieàn, vaø trong ngaøy ñoù coù nhieàu ngöôøi cheát maát trong röøng hôn laø cheát ôû döôùi luôõi göôm.

18:9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.

18:9 Caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ña-vít gaëp Aùp-sa-loâm côõi moät con la; con la luûi vaøo döôùi nhaønh xoû reá cuûa caây thoâng lôùn, ñaàu Aùp-sa-loâm phaûi vöôùng trong nhaønh, vaø ngöôøi bò treo giöõa khoaûng trôøi ñaát; coøn con la chôû ngöôøi thì thoaùt ñi khoûi.

18:10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in an oak.

18:10 Coù ngöôøi thaáy ñieàu ñoù, ñeán noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Toâi ñaõ thaáy Aùp-sa-loâm bò treo treân caây thoâng.

18:11 And Joab said unto the man that told him, And, behold, you saw him, and why did you not strike him there to the ground? and I would have given you ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.

18:11 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Chi! ngöôi coù thaáy haén ö? Vaäy sao chaúng gieát haén taïi choã ñi? Nhöôïc baèng coù gieát, ta saün loøng thöôûng ngöôi möôøi mieáng baïc vaø moät caùi ñai löng.

18:12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine hand, yet would I not put forth mine hand against the king's son: for in our hearing the king charged you and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom.

18:12 Nhöng ngöôøi aáy thöa raèng: Daãu toâi naém trong tay moät ngaøn mieáng baïc, cuõng chaúng daùm tra tay vaøo vöông töû; vì chuùng toâi coù nghe vua bieåu daën oâng, A-bi-sai vaø Y-tai raèng: Khaù giöõ laáy, chôù ñuïng ñeán chaøng Aùp-sa-loâm trai treû.

18:13 Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.

18:13 Vaû laïi, neáu toâi laáy loøng baát trung maø gieát ngöôøi, thì chaúng coù theå naøo giaáu ñöôïc vua; chaéc chính oâng laøm ngöôøi caùo toâi.

18:14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with you. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.

18:14 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp: Ta chaúng theøm naùn ôû ñaây maø nghe ngöôi. Ngöôøi beøn laáy ba caây giaùo ñaâm vaøo traùi tim cuûa Aùp-sa-loâm, ñöông coøn soáng ôû giöõa caây thoâng.

18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab's armour compassed about and stroke Absalom, and slew him.

18:15 Ñoaïn möôøi keû trai treû vaùc binh khí cuûa Gioâ-aùp, vaây quanh Aùp-sa-loâm, ñaùnh vaø gieát ngöôøi ñi.

18:16 And Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from pursuing after Israel: for Joab held back the people.

18:16 Keá ñoù Gioâ-aùp thoåi keøn, daân söï thoâi ñuoåi theo quaân Y-sô-ra-eân, bôûi vì Gioâ-aùp caûn chuùng.

18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.

18:17 Ngöôøi ta laáy thaây Aùp-sa-loâm, neùm vaøo trong moät caùi hoá lôùn ôû giöõa röøng, roài chaát ñaù leân truyeàn ngöôøi thaønh moät ñoáng lôùn. Heát thaûy moïi ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu chaïy troán veà traïi mình.

18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.

18:18 Aùp-sa-loâm luùc coøn soáng coù sai döïng moät caùi bia ôû trong truõng vua; vì ngöôøi noùi raèng: Ta khoâng coù con trai ñaëng löu danh ta. Roài ngöôøi laáy danh mình ñaët cho caùi bia ñoù; ñeán ngaøy nay ngöôøi ta haõy coøn goïi laø bia Aùp-sa-loâm.

18:19 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD has avenged him of his enemies.

18:19 A-hi-maùt, con trai cuûa Xa-ñoác, noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Xin cho pheùp toâi chaïy ñem cho vua tin laønh naày raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ xöû coâng bình vaø giaûi cöùu ngöôøi khoûi keû thuø nghòch mình.

18:20 And Joab said unto him, You shall not bear tidings this day, but you shall bear tidings another day: but this day you shall bear no tidings, because the king's son is dead.

18:20 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp: Ngaøy nay ngöôi seõ chaúng laøm keû ñem tin laønh, moät ngaøy khaùc ngöôi seõ laøm; ngaøy nay caùi tin chaúng ñöôïc laønh, vì vöông töû ñaõ cheát.

18:21 Then said Joab to Cushi, Go tell the king what you have seen. And Cushi bowed himself unto Joab, and ran.

18:21 Gioâ-aùp beøn noùi cuøng Cu-si raèng: Haõy ñi thuaät cho vua ñieàu ngöôi ñaõ thaáy. Cu-si laïy Gioâ-aùp, roài chaïy ñi.

18:22 Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But howsoever, let me, I pray you, also run after Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore will you run, my son, seeing that you have no tidings ready?

18:22 A-hi-maùt, con trai cuûa Xa-ñoác, laïi noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Maëc daàu xaûy ñeán ñieàu chi, haõy ñeå cho toâi chaïy theo sau Cu-si. Gioâ-aùp tieáp: Hôõi con, côù sao con muoán chaïy ñi? Vieäc baùo tin naày seõ chaúng thöôûng gì cho con.

18:23 But howsoever, said he, let me run. And he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz ran by the way of the plain, and outran Cushi.

18:23 Ngöôøi thöa: Maëc daàu, toâi muoán chaïy ñi. Gioâ-aùp noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy chaïy ñi. Vaäy, A-hi-maùt chaïy qua ñoàng baèng vaø böôn tôùi tröôùc Cu-si.

18:24 And David sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold a man running alone.

18:24 Ña-vít ngoài ôû giöõa hai caùi cöûa thaønh. Coøn quaân canh treøo leân ñænh laàu cöûa thaønh, ôû treân vaùch töôøng, ngöôùc maét leân, nhìn thaáy coù moät ngöôøi chaïy eân.

18:25 And the watchman cried, and told the king. And the king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he came swiftly, and drew near.

18:25 Quaân canh la leân, vaø taâu cho vua bieát. Vua noùi: Neáu haén moät mình, chaéc ñem tin laønh. Ngöôøi chaïy maõi vaø ñi ñeán gaàn.

18:26 And the watchman saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the gate keeper, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also brings tidings.

18:26 Ñoaïn quaân canh thaáy moät ngöôøi khaùc cuõng chaïy, beøn la vôùi ngöôøi giöõ cöûa maø raèng: Kìa laïi coù moät ngöôøi chaïy eân. Vua noùi: Haén cuõng ñem tin laønh.

18:27 And the watchman said, It seems to me that the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and comes with good tidings.

18:27 Quaân canh tieáp: Thaáy ngöôøi chaïy ñaàu, gioáng daïng A-hi-maùt, con trai cuûa Xa-ñoác. Vua noùi: Aáy laø moät ngöôøi töû teá, ngöôøi chaéc ñem tin laønh.

18:28 And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD your God, which has delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.

18:28 A-hi-maùt beøn keâu leân vaø taâu cuøng vua raèng: Moïi söï may maén! Roài ngöôøi saáp mình xuoáng tröôùc maët vua, vaø taâu raèng: Ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa vua, vì Ngaøi ñaõ giaûi cöùu vua khoûi nhöõng keû ñaõ phaûn nghòch cuøng vua chuùa toâi!

18:29 And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.

18:29 Nhöng vua hoûi raèng: Chaøng Aùp-sa-loâm trai treû ñöôïc bình an voâ haïi chaêng? A-hi-maùt thöa raèng: Khi Gioâ-aùp sai keû toâi tôù vua vaø chính toâi ñi, thì toâi thaáy coù söï oàn aøo döõ doäi daáy leân; nhöng toâi chaúng bieát laø chi.

18:30 And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.

18:30 Vua phaùn cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy lui ra vaø ñöùng taïi ñoù. Ngöôøi beøn lui ra vaø chôø.

18:31 And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD has avenged you this day of all them that rose up against you.

18:31 Cu-si beøn ñeán, vaø taâu raèng: Naày laø moät tin laønh cho vua chuùa toâi. Ngaøy nay Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ xöû coâng bình cho vua vaø giaûi cöùu vua khoûi caùc keû daáy leân phaûn nghòch cuøng vua.

18:32 And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against you to do you hurt, be as that young man is.

18:32 Vua noùi cuøng Cu-si raèng: Chaøng Aùp-sa-loâm trai treû ñöôïc bình an voâ haïi chaêng? Cu-si ñaùp: Nguyeän heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi naøo phaûn nghòch ñaëng haïi vua, bò ñoàng soá phaän vôùi ngöôøi trai treû aáy!

18:33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for you, O Absalom, my son, my son!

18:33 Vua raát caûm thöông, beøn leân laàu cöûa thaønh vaø khoùc. Ngöôøi vöøa ñi vöøa noùi raèng: Oâi, Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai ta! Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai ta! con trai ta! Öôùc chi chính ta cheát theá cho con! Oâi, Aùp-sa-loâm! con trai ta! con trai ta!

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

19:1 And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.

19:1 Ngöôøi ta ñeán noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp raèng: Kìa, vua khoùc vaø than tieác Aùp-sa-loâm.

19:2 And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

19:2 Aáy vaäy, chính trong ngaøy ñoù söï thaéng traän beøn ñoåi ra söï thaûm saàu cho caû daân söï; vì daân söï ñaõ nghe noùi raèng vua raát buoàn böïc veà söï cheát cuûa con vua.

19:3 And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

19:3 Neân noãi, trong ngaøy ñoù, daân söï leùn trôû vaøo thaønh döôøng nhö moät ñaïo binh maéc côõ vì ñaõ troán khoûi chieán traän.

19:4 But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!

19:4 Vua truøm maët, la lôùn tieáng leân raèng: Oâi, Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai ta! Oâi, Aùp-sa-loâm, con trai ta! con trai ta!

19:5 And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, You have shamed this day the faces of all your servants, which this day have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines;

19:5 Gioâ-aùp beøn vaøo nhaø vua, vaø noùi raèng: Ngaøy nay vua laøm hoå maët caùc keû toâi tôù vua, laø nhöõng ngöôøi chính ngaøy nay ñaõ cöùu maïng soáng cuûa vua, cuûa caùc con trai vaø caùc con gaùi vua, luoân ñeán cöùu maïng soáng cuûa caùc vôï vaø haàu vua nöõa.

19:6 In that you love yours enemies, and hate your friends. For you have declared this day, that you regard neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased you well.

19:6 Vaäy, vua thöông nhöõng ngöôøi gheùt vua, vaø gheùt nhöõng ngöôøi thöông vua; vì vua môùi toû ra raèng nhöõng quan tröôûng vaø caùc toâi tôù cuûa vua chaúng ra chi vôùi vua. Raày toâi bieát roõ raøng neáu Aùp-sa-loâm coøn soáng, vaø chuùng toâi cheát heát thaûy, thì vöøa yù vua.

19:7 Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto your servants: for I swear by the LORD, if you go not forth, there will not tarry one with you this night: and that will be worse unto you than all the evil that befell you from your youth until now.

19:7 Thaø vua choåi daäy, ñi ra noùi nhöõng lôøi giuïc loøng caùc toâi tôù vua; vì toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø theà raèng, neáu vua khoâng chöôøng ra, thì ñeâm nay seõ khoâng coøn moät ngöôøi naøo ôû beân vua; vaø tai naïn aáy seõ coøn troïng hôn caùc tai naïn khaùc ñaõ xaûy ñeán cho vua töø khi thô aáu tôùi ngaøy nay.

19:8 Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

19:8 Baáy giôø, vua choåi daäy, ngoài taïi cöûa thaønh. Ngöôøi ta cho caû daân söï bieát raèng vua ñaõ ngoài taïi cöûa thaønh. Caû daân söï beøn keùo ñeán tröôùc maët vua. Vaû, Y-sô-ra-eân ai naáy ñeàu ñaõ chaïy troán nôi traïi mình.

19:9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

19:9 Trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân ngöôøi ta traùch nhau raèng: Vua ñaõ giaûi chuùng ta khoûi tay keû thuø nghòch chuùng ta, vaø ngöôøi ñaõ cöùu chuùng ta khoûi tay daân Phi-li-tin. Song baây giôø, ngöôøi phaûi troán khoûi xöù vì côù Aùp-sa-loâm.

19:10 And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak all of you not a word of bringing the king back?

19:10 Vaû, Aùp-sa-loâm maø chuùng ta ñaõ xöùc daàu cho laøm vua chuùng ta ñaõ cheát trong chieán traän. Vaäy baây giôø, nhaân sao caùc ngöôi khoâng noùi ñem vua trôû veà?

19:11 And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are all of you the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.

19:11 Vua Ña-vít sai noùi cuøng hai thaày teá leã Xa-ñoác vaø A-bia-tha raèng: Haõy noùi cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo Giu-ña maø raèng: Lôøi caû Y-sô-ra-eân noùi veà vieäc röôùc vua veà, ñaõ thaáu ñeán nôi vua roài; vaäy, côù sao caùc ngöôi laø keû sau choùt ñem vua veà cung ngöôøi?

19:12 All of you are my brethren, all of you are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are all of you the last to bring back the king?

19:12 Caùc ngöôi laø anh em ta, laø coát nhuïc ta. Nhaân sao caùc ngöôi laø keû sau choùt ñem vua veà?

19:13 And say all of you to Amasa, Are you not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

19:13 Cuõng haõy noùi cuøng A-ma-sa raèng: Ngöôi haù chaúng phaûi laø coát nhuïc ta sao? Neáu ngöôi khoâng laøm toång binh theá cho Gioâ-aùp haèng ôû tröôùc maët ta, thì nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaït ta caùch naëng neà.

19:14 And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return you, and all your servants.

19:14 Nhö vaäy, Ña-vít ñöôïc loøng heát thaûy ngöôøi Giu-ña, döôøng nhö hoï chæ moät ngöôøi maø thoâi; hoï beøn sai noùi vôùi vua raèng: Xin vua haõy trôû veà vôùi heát thaûy toâi tôù vua.

19:15 So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

19:15 Vaäy, vua trôû veà, ñeán taïi bôø soâng Gioâ-ñanh. Caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña ñi ñeán ñoùn vua taïi Ghinh-ganh ñaëng ñöa vua qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh.

19:16 And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

19:16 Si-meâ -i, con trai Gheâ-ra, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ôû Ba-hu-rim, laät ñaät ñi xuoáng vôùi caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña, ñoùn vua Ña-vít.

19:17 And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

19:17 Moät ngaøn ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ñeàu theo ngöôøi, vôùi Xíp-ba, toâi tôù cuûa nhaø Sau-lô, cuøng möôøi laêm con trai ngöôøi vaø hai möôi ñaày tôù; chuùng qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh taïi tröôùc maët vua.

19:18 And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

19:19 And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do you remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

19:19 Ngöôøi noùi cuøng vua raèng: Caàu xin chuùa toâi chôù keå toäi aùc cho toâi, vaø ñöøng nhôù ñeán söï gian taø maø keû toâi tôù vua ñaõ phaïm trong ngaøy vua chuùa toâi ñi ra khoûi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem. Xin vua chôù ñeå ñieàu ñoù vaøo loøng.

19:20 For your servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

19:20 Keû toâi tôù vua nhìn bieát mình ñaõ phaïm toäi. Vì vaäy, ngaøy nay trong caû nhaø Gioâ-seùp, toâi ñaõ ñeán tröôùc heát ñaëng xuoáng ñoùn vua chuùa toâi.

19:21 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

19:21 Nhöng A-bi-sai, con trai Xeâ-ru-gia, ñaùp raèng: Vaäy, ngöôøi ta haù khoâng xöû töû Si-meâ -i vì côù ñoù sao, laø keû ñaõ ruûa saû ñaáng chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va?

19:22 And David said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah, that all of you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

19:22 Nhöng Ña-vít ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy caùc con trai Xeâ-ru-gia, ta coù can heä chi vôùi caùc ngöôi chaêng, maø ngaøy nay caùc ngöôi ôû vôùi ta khaùc naøo keû cöøu ñòch? Trong moät ngaøy nhö vaäy, ngöôøi ta haù coù theå sai gieát moät ngöôøi trong Y-sô-ra-eân ö? Ngaøy nay coù leõ naøo ta khoâng hieåu raèng ta laø vua cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân sao?

19:23 Therefore the king said unto Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore unto him.

19:23 Ñoaïn, vua noùi cuøng Si-meâ -i raèng: Ngöôi chaúng cheát ñaâu. Roài vua laäp lôøi theà vôùi ngöôøi.

19:24 And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

19:24 Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, cuõng ñi xuoáng ñoùn vua. Ngöôøi khoâng coù röûa chôn, chaûi raâu hay laø giaët aùo mình töø luùc vua ra ñi, cho ñeán ngaøy vua trôû veà bình an voâ söï.

19:25 And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore went not you with me, Mephibosheth?

19:25 Khi ngöôøi ôû Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeán ñoùn vua, thì Ña-vít hoûi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, sao ngöôi khoâng ñeán cuøng ta?

19:26 And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for your servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because your servant is lame.

19:26 Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Oâi vua chuùa toâi, thaèng toâi tôù toâi coù ñaùnh löøa toâi. Thaät toâi nghó raèng: Toâi seõ thaéng löøa, rôøi côõi noù ñaëng ñi theo vua; vì toâi tôù cuûa vua laø queø.

19:27 And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in yours eyes.

19:27 Ngöôøi ta coù caùo gian toâi ôû nôi vua chuùa toâi; nhöng vua chuùa toâi khaùc naøo moät thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Xin haõy ñaõi toâi theo yù vua laáy laøm toát.

19:28 For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did you set your servant among them that did eat at yours own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

19:28 Vì caùc ngöôøi cuûa nhaø cha toâi tröôùc maët vua chuùa toâi chæ ñaùng cheát maø thoâi. Daàu vaäy, vua ñaõ ñeå toâi vaøo soá ngöôøi aên nôi baøn vua. Theá thì, toâi naøo coøn coù leõ gì maø phaøn naøn cuøng vua?

19:29 And the king said unto him, Why speak you any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.

19:29 Vua noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Sao coøn noùi veà vieäc mình laøm chi? Ta ñaõ noùi raèng: Ngöôi vaø Xíp-ba haõy chia laáy ñaát.

19:30 And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king has come again in peace unto his own house.

19:30 Meâ-phi-boâ-seát thöa laïi raèng: Xíp-ba laáy heát cuõng ñöôïc, bôûi vua chuùa toâi ñaõ trôû veà nhaø mình bình an voâ söï.

19:31 And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

19:31 Baùt-xi-lai ôû Ga-la-aùt cuõng töø Roâ-gheâ-lim xuoáng, vaø qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh vôùi vua ñaëng ñöa vua ñeán beân kia soâng.

19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

19:32 Ngöôøi ñaõ giaø quaù, ñöôïc taùm möôi tuoåi, coù cung caáp löông thöïc cho vua troïn luùc vua ôû taïi Ma-ha-na-im; vì ngöôøi coù nhieàu cuûa caûi laém.

19:33 And the king said unto Barzillai, Come you over with me, and I will feed you with me in Jerusalem.

19:33 Vua noùi vôùi Baùt-xi-tai raèng: Haõy qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh vôùi ta, ta seõ bao boïc cho ngöôi ôû nhaø ta taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

19:34 And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

19:34 Nhöng Baùt-xi-lai thöa cuøng vua raèng: Baây giôø toâi coøn bao laâu ngaøy nöõa, maø laïi cuøng vua ñi leân Gieâ-ru-sa-lem?

19:35 I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should your servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

19:35 Ngaøy nay toâi ñöôïc taùm möôi tuoåi, haù coøn coù theá phaân bieät ñieàu toát vaø ñieàu xaáu ö? Keû toâi tôù vua cuõng chaúng neám ñöôïc muøi cuûa vaät mình aên vaø uoáng. Haù laïi coù theå vui nghe ngöôøi nam nöõ ca xöôùng sao? Keû toâi tôù vua seõ laøm baän vua chuùa toâi maø laøm chi?

19:36 Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

19:36 Keû toâi tôù vua seõ cuøng vua ñi tôùi moät chuùt ôû beân kia soâng Gioâ-ñanh. Côù sau vua muoán thöôûng cho toâi caùch döôøng aáy?

19:37 Let your servant, I pray you, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto you.

19:38 And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto you: and whatsoever you shall require of me, that will I do for you.

19:38 Vua tieáp raèng: Kim-ham seõ theo ta, ta seõ laøm cho noù moïi ñieàu ngöôi muoán; heã ngöôi xin ta ñieàu gì, thì ta seõ nhaäm cho.

19:39 And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

19:39 Vaäy, caû daân söï ñeàu qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh, chính mình vua cuõng ñi nöõa. Ñoaïn vua hoân vaø chuùc phöôùc cho Baùt-xi-lai; roài Baùt-xi-lai trôû veà xöù sôû mình.

19:40 Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

19:40 Töø ñoù, vua ñi qua Ghinh-ganh, coù Kim-ham, caû daân Giu-ña, vaø hôn phaân nöûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu theo.

19:41 And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?

19:41 Baáy giôø, heát thaûy ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñeán cuøng vua, maø hoûi raèng: Côù sao anh em chuùng toâi laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, coù leùn ñem vua, ñi ñöa sang soâng Gioâ-ñanh luoân vôùi ngöôøi nhaø vaø heát thaûy keû theo vua?

19:42 And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be all of you angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or has he given us any gift?

19:42 Ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaùp laïi cuøng ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Aáy vì vua laø ñoàng toäc cuøng chuùng ta. Vaû laïi, côù sao anh em giaän? Chuùng ta coù aên nhôø gì cuûa vua chaêng? Chuùng ta haù coù laõnh moät cuûa gì nôi vua sao?

19:43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than all of you: why then did all of you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

19:43 Nhöng ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi Giu-ña raèng: Chuùng ta coù möôøi phaàn nôi vua, laïi Ña-vít thuoäc veà chuùng ta hôn laø caùc ngöôi; vaäy, côù sao caùc ngöôi khoâng ñeám xæa ñeán chuùng ta? 20:1 And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

20:1 Taïi ñoù coù moät ngöôøi gian taø teân laø Seâ-ba, con trai cuûa Bieác-ri, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min; ngöôøi thoåi keøn leân vaø noùi raèng: Chuùng ta chaúng coù phaàn naøo cuøng Ña-vít, cuõng chaúng can thieäp gì nôi con trai Y-sai. Hôõi Y-sô-ra-eân, moãi ngöôøi haõy trôû veà traïi mình!

20:2 So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.

20:2 Heát thaûy daân Y-sô-ra-eân beøn phaân reõ Ña-vít, theo Seâ-ba, con trai Bieác-ri; nhöng ngöôøi Giu-ña vaãn trung tín cuøng vua mình, theo ngöôøi töø Gioâ-ñanh cho ñeán Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.

20:3 Khi Ña-vít trôû veà cung mình taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem roài, thì baét möôøi ngöôøi cung phi vua ñaõ ñeå cho coi giöõ ñeàn, maø caàm trong moät nhaø rieâng, caáp löông thöïc cho chuùng noù duøng; nhöng khoâng ñi ñeán cuøng chuùng noù; chuùng noù bò giam caàm, ôû goùa cho ñeán ngaøy cheát.

20:4 Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be you here present.

20:4 Keá ñoù, vua noùi cuøng A-ma-sa raèng: Trong ba ngaøy ñaây, haõy nhoùm hieäp cho ta nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña; vaø chính ngöôi cuõng phaûi coù maët ñaây.

20:5 So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.

20:5 Vaäy, A-ma-sa ñi ñaëng nhoùm hieäp ngöôøi Giu-ña; nhöng ngöôøi chaäm treã ñaõ quaù haïn ñaõ ñònh.

20:6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take you your lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.

20:6 Ña-vít beøn noùi vôùi A-bi-sai raèng: Baây giôø, Seâ-ba, con trai Bieác-ri, seõ laøm haïi chuùng ta hôn Aùp-sa-loâm. Vaäy, ngöôi haõy ñem caùc chieán só cuûa chuùa ngöôi, ñuoåi theo Seâ-la, keûo noù choaùn laáy thaønh naøo kieân coá, vaø thoaùt khoûi chuùng ta chaêng?

20:7 And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.

20:7 Baáy giôø, ñaïo binh Gioâ-aùp, ngöôøi Keâ-reâ-thít vaø ngöôøi Pheâ-reâ-thít vôùi caùc keû doõng só hôn heát, ñeàu ñi theo A-bi-sai. Hoï ñi ra khoûi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñuoåi theo Seâ-ba con trai Bieác-ri.

20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.

20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Are you in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.

20:9 Gioâ-aùp noùi vôùi A-ma-sa raèng: Hôõi anh, anh maïnh chaêng? Roài ngöôøi laáy baøn tay höõu naém raâu A-ma-sa ñaëng hoân ngöôøi.

20:10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he stroke him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.

20:10 A-ma-sa khoâng coi chöøng caây göôm ôû nôi tay kia cuûa Gioâ-aùp. Gioâ-aùp ñaâm moät muõi trong buïng, ruoät A-ma-sa ñoå ra xuoáng ñaát, ngöôøi cheát, khoâng phaûi ñaâm laïi laàn thöù nhì. Ñoaïn, Gioâ-aùp vaø A-bi-sai, em ngöôøi laïi ñuoåi theo Se-ba, con trai Bieác-ri.

20:11 And one of Joab's men stood by him, and said, He that favours Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.

20:11 Moät ñöùa treû trong boïn ñaày tôù cuûa Gioâ-aùp ñöùng gaàn A-ma-sa maø noùi raèng: Ai thöông Gioâ-aùp vaø thuoäc veà Ña-vít haõy theo Gioâ-aùp.

20:12 And Amasa wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.

20:12 Song A-ma-sa ñaüm trong maùu ôû giöõa ñöôøng; khi ñöùa treû thaáy heát thaûy daân chuùng ñeàu döøng laïi gaàn thaây A-ma-sa, thì xít thaây ngöôøi khoûi ñöôøng, ñem ñi trong moät caùnh ñoàng, ñaép moät caùi aùo choaøng treân noù.

20:13 When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.

20:14 And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.

20:14 Gioâ-aùp ñi khaép caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, cho ñeán A-beân-Beát-ma-ca, vaø heát thaûy nhöõng doõng só ñeàu nhoùm hieäp laïi vaø ñi theo ñaïo quaân ngöôøi.

20:15 And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.

20:15 Vaäy, hoï ñeán vaây phuû Seâ-ba trong A-beân-Beát-ma-ca, ñaép leân moät caùi luõy cao hôn ñoàn thaønh, vaø caû ñaïo quaân Gioâ-aùp ñaøo töôøng thaønh ñaëng laøm cho noù ngaõ xuoáng.

20:16 Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near here, that I may speak with you.

20:16 Baáy giôø, coù moät ngöôøi nöõ khoân ngoan ôû treân ñaàu ñoàn thaønh la leân cuøng chuùng raèng: Caùc ngöôi haõy nghe, haõy nghe! Xin haõy noùi cuøng Gioâ-aùp laïi gaàn ñaây, toâi muoán noùi chuyeän cuøng ngöôøi.

20:17 And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Are you Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of yours handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.

20:17 Khi Gioâ-aùp ñaõ laïi gaàn, ngöôøi nöõ hoûi raèng: Oâng coù phaûi Gioâ-aùp chaêng? ngöôøi ñaùp: Phaûi, ta. Naøng tieáp: Haõy nghe lôøi con ñoøi oâng. Ngöôøi ñaùp: Ta nghe.

20:18 Then she spoke, saying, They were known to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.

20:18 Naøng beøn noùi nhö lôøi naày: Thuôû xöa ngöôøi ta coù thoùi quen noùi raèng: haõy ñi hoûi yù daân A-beân; roài môùi neân vieäc nhö theá.

20:19 I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: you seek to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why will you swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?

20:19 Trong Y-sô-ra-eân, thaønh chuùng toâi laø thaønh hoøa bình vaø trung haäu hôn heát, maø oâng laïi muoán dieät moät thaønh, laø chaùnh ñoâ cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân sao? Nhaân sao oâng muoán phaù huûy cô nghieäp cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va?

20:20 And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.

20:20 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp raèng: Khoâng, khoâng phaûi vaäy ñaâu! Ta quyeát haún khoâng muoán dieät, khoâng muoán phaù huûy!

20:21 The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall.

20:22 Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.

20:22 Vaäy, ngöôøi nöõ aáy ñeán tröôùc maët caû daân chuùng, vaø noùi cho nghe lôøi yù luaän khoân ngoan cuûa naøng. Chuùng cheùm ñaàu Seâ-ba, con trai Bieác-ri, roài neùm cho Gioâ-aùp. 20:23 Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:

20:23 Gioâ-aùp toång laõnh caû ñaïo binh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân; Beâ-na-gia, con trai Gieâ-hoâ-gia-ña, laøm ñaàu tröôûng caùc ngöôøi Keâ-reâ-thít vaø Pheâ-reâ-thít;

20:24 And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:

20:24 A-ñoâ-ram ñöôïc baàu cöû coi veà thueá khoùa; Gioâ-sa-phaùt, con trai A-hi-luùt, laøm thuû boä;

20:25 And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

20:26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

21:1 Veà ñôøi Ña-vít, coù moät aùch cô caån trong ba naêm lieân tieáp. Ña-vít caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; Ngaøi ñaùp cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Söï naày xaûy ñeán vì côù Sau-lô vaø nhaø ñoå huyeát cuûa ngöôøi, bôûi vì ngöôøi coù gieát daân Ga-ba-oân.

21:2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

21:2 Vua beøn truyeàn goïi daân Ga-ba-oân, vaø noùi chuyeän vôùi hoï. Ngöôøi Ga-ba-oân chaúng thuoäc veà daân söï Y-sô-ra-eân, nhöng hoï laø keû soáng soùt cuûa daân A-moâ-rít; daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù theà höùa tha thöù hoï. Daàu vaäy, Sau-lô vì loøng soát saéng veà daân Y-sô-ra-eân vaø Giu-ña, ñaõ tìm caùch tröø dieät hoï.

21:3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that all of you may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

21:3 Aáy vaäy, Ña-vít hoûi daân Ga-ba-oân raèng: Ta phaûi laøm sao cho caùc ngöôi, laáy vaät gì maø chuoäc toäi, haàu cho caùc ngöôi chuùc phöôùc cho cô nghieäp cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va?

21:4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shall you kill any man in Israel. And he said, What all of you shall say, that will I do for you.

21:4 Daân Ga-ba-oân taâu cuøng vua raèng: Chuùng toâi ñoái cuøng Sau-lô vaø nhaø ngöôøi chaúng ñoøi baïc hay vaøng, chuùng toâi cuõng chaúng coù pheùp gieát ngöôøi naøo trong Y-sô-ra-eân. Ña-vít tieáp: Vaäy caùc ngöôi muoán ta laøm gì cho caùc ngöôi?

21:5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,

21:5 Hoï ñaùp cuøng vua raèng: Ngöôøi aáy coù dieät tröø chuùng toâi; ngöôøi coù toan möu laøm cho chuùng toâi bieát maát khoûi caû ñòa phaän Y-sô-ra-eân.

21:6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

21:6 Theá thì, haõy phoù cho chuùng toâi baûy ngöôøi trong nhöõng con trai ngöôøi; chuùng toâi seõ treo chuùng noù tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû Ghi-beâ -a, thaønh cuûa Sau-lô laø ngöôøi ñöôïc Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va choïn. Vua ñaùp: Ta seõ phoù chuùng noù cho.

21:7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

21:7 Ña-vít dong thöù Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, con trai cuûa Gioâ-na-than, chaùu cuûa Sau-lô, vì côù lôøi theà Ña-vít vaø Gioâ-na-than, con trai cuûa Sau-lô, ñaõ laäp vôùi nhau tröôùc moät Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

21:8 Nhöng vua baét Aùt-moâ-ni vaø Meâ-phi-boâ-seát, hai con trai cuûa Rít-ba, con gaùi cuûa Ai-gia, ñaõ sanh cho Sau-lô, vaø naêm con trai cuûa Mi-canh, con gaùi Sau-lô ñaõ sanh cho Aùt-ri-eân, con trai cuûa Baùt-xi-lai ôû Meâ-hoâ-la,

21:9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.

21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

21:10 Rít-ba, con gaùi Ai-gia, beøn laáy moät caùi bao traûi treân hoøn ñaù duøng laøm giöôøng mình. 21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

21:12 Vua beøn ñi ñeán daân söï Gia-be trong xöù Ga-la-aùt, laáy haøi coát cuûa Sau-lô vaø cuûa Gioâ-na-than, con trai Sau-lô, maø daân aáy laáy troäm khoûi Beát-san, laø nôi daân Phi-li-tin treo hoï leân trong ngaøy chuùng noù ñaùnh baïi Sau-lô taïi Ghinh-boâ -a.

21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and stroke the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore unto him, saying, You shall go no more out with us to battle, that you quench not the light of Israel.

21:17 Nhöng A-bi-sai, con trai Xeâ-ru-gia, ñeán tieáp cöùu vua, ñaùnh ngöôøi Phi-li-tin aáy, vaø gieát ñi. Töø ñoù caùc thuû haï cuûa Ña-vít naøi xin ngöôøi raèng: Vua chôù ra traän cuøng chuùng toâi nöõa, e ngoïn ñuoác Y-sô-ra-eân phaûi taét chaêng.

22:1 And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

22:1 Khi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ giaûi cöùu Ña-vít khoûi tay caùc thuø nghòch vaø khoûi tay Sau-lô, thì ngöôøi haùt caùc lôøi naày maø ngôïi khen Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va,

22:6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

22:6 Nhöõng daây cuûa ñòa nguïc ñaõ vaán toâi, Löôùi söï cheát coù haõm baét toâi.

22:7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

22:7 Trong côn hoaïn naïn toâi caàu khaån Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Toâi keâu la cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi. ÔÛ nôi ñeàn Ngaøi nghe tieáng toâi, Tieáng keâu caàu cuûa toâi thaáu ñeán tai Ngaøi.

22:8 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was angry.

22:8 Baáy giôø, ñaát ñoäng vaø rung, Neàn caùc töøng trôøi cuõng lay chuyeån, Noù ruùng ñoäng, vì Ngaøi noåi giaän.

22:9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

22:9 Khoùi bay ra töø loã muõi Ngaøi, Vaø töø mieäng Ngaøi phaùt ra ngoïn löûa höïc. Ngaøi khieán than höøng ñoû phun ra,

22:11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

22:11 Ngaøi côõi moät cheâ-ru-bin vaø bay; Ngaøi hieän ra treân caùnh cuûa gioù.

22:12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

22:12 Ngaøi buûa ra söï toái taêm, nhöõng vuøng nöôùc, nhöõng maây ñen mòt, Chung quanh mình nhö moät caùi traïi.

22:14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

22:16 Bôûi lôøi haêm he cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Bôûi gioù xòt ra khoûi loã muõi Ngaøi, Ñaùy bieån beøn loä ra, Neàn theá gian bò baøy toû.

22:17 He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;

22:18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

22:18 Ngaøi giaûi cöùu toâi khoûi keû thuø nghòch cöôøng baïo, Khoûi keû gheùt toâi, vì chuùng noù maïnh hôn toâi.

22:19 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

22:19 Trong ngaøy hoaïn naïn chuùng noù ñeán xoâng vaøo toâi; Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va naâng ñôõ toâi.

22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

22:20 Ngaøi ñem toâi ra nôi roäng raõi, Giaûi cöùu toâi, vì Ngaøi öa thích toâi.

22:21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

22:22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22:22 Vì toâi coù giöõ theo caùc ñöôøng loái cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Khoâng laøm aùc xaây boû Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi.

22:23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.

22:23 Vì caùc maïng lònh cuûa Ngaøi ñeàu ôû tröôùc maët toâi, Toâi chaúng lìa xa caùc luaät leä Ngaøi.

22:24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

22:26 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright.

22:26 Keû hay thöông xoùt, Chuùa seõ thöông xoùt laïi; Ñoái cuøng keû troïn veïn, Chuùa seõ toû mình troïn veïn laïi.

22:27 With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the perverse you will show yourself unpleasing.

22:27 Ñoái cuøng keû tinh saïch, Chuùa seõ toû mình tinh saïch laïi; Coøn ñoái cuøng keû traùi nghòch, Chuùa seõ toû mình nhaët nhieäm laïi.

22:28 And the afflicted people you will save: but yours eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down.

22:28 Vì Chuùa cöùu daân bò khoán khoå; Nhöng maét Chuùa coi chöøng keû kieâu caêng ñaëng laøm chuùng noù bò haï xuoáng.

22:29 For you are my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

22:29 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va oâi! thaät Ngaøi laøm ngoïn ñeøn toâi, Vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ chieáu saùng söï toái taêm toâi.

22:30 Nhôø Ngaøi toâi seõ xoâng ngang qua ñaïo binh, Caäy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi toâi, toâi vöôït khoûi töôøng thaønh.

22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

22:31 Coøn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, caùc ñöôøng cuûa Ngaøi voán laø troïn veïn, Lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø tinh töôøng. Ngaøi laø caùi thuaãn cho moïi ngöôøi nöông naùu mình nôi Ngaøi.

22:32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

22:32 Vaäy, tröø ra Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ai laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi? Ai laø hoøn ñaù lôùn, neáu khoâng phaûi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta?

22:35 Ngaøi taäp tay toâi chieán traän, Ñeán ñoãi caùnh tay toâi göông noåi cung ñoàng.

22:36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.

22:36 Chuùa ñaõ ban söï chöûng cöùu cho toâi laøm caùi khieân, Vaø söï hieàn töø Chuùa ñaõ laøm cho toâi neân sang troïng.

22:37 Chuùa môû roäng ñöôøng döôùi böôùc toâi, Vaø chôn toâi khoâng xieâu toù.

22:38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

22:38 Toâi ñuoåi theo keû thuø nghòch toâi, vaø huûy dieät noù, Chæ trôû veà sau khi ñaõ taän dieät chuùng noù.

22:39 And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

22:39 Toâi tröø tieät, ñaâm luûng chuùng noù, khoâng theå daäy laïi ñöôïc; Chuùng noù sa ngaõ döôùi chôn toâi.

22:40 For you have girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me have you subdued under me.

22:40 Vì Chuùa ñaõ thaét löng toâi baèng söùc maïnh ñeå chieán traän, Vaø khieán keû daáy nghòch cuøng toâi xeáp reäp döôùi toâi.

22:41 You have also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

22:41 Chuùa cuõng khieán keû thuø nghòch xaây löng cuøng toâi, Haàu cho toâi dieät nhöõng keû gheùt toâi.

22:42 They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

22:42 Chuùng noù troâng ngoùng, nhöng chaúng ai cöùu cho; Chuùng noù keâu cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, song Ngaøi khoâng ñaùp laïi.

22:43 Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.

22:43 Baáy giôø toâi ñaäp giaäp chuùng noù khaùc naøo buïi döôùi ñaát; Chaø naùt, giaøy ñaïp chuùng noù gioáng nhö buøn ngoaøi ñöôøng.

22:44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people, you have kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

22:47 The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

22:47 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng; ñaùng ngôïi khen hoøn ñaù lôùn toâi! Nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø hoøn ñaù cuûa söï chöûng cöùu toâi, ñöôïc toân cao!

22:48 It is God that avenges me, and that brings down the people under me.

22:48 Töø laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi baùo thuø cho toâi, Khieán caùc daân toäc qui phuïc toâi.

22:49 And that brings me forth from mine enemies: you also have lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

23:1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

23:1 Naày laø lôøi sau heát cuûa Ña-vít. Naày laø lôøi cuûa Ña-vít, con trai Y-sai, Töùc lôøi cuûa ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc naâng leân cao thay, Ñaáng chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi Gia-coáp, Vaø laøm keû haùt eâm dòu cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân.

23:2 The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.

23:2 Thaàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ caäy mieäng ta maø phaùn, Vaø lôøi cuûa Ngaøi ôû nôi löôõi mieäng ta.

23:3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

23:3 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ phaùn, Hoøn Ñaù lôùn cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ phaùn cuøng ta raèng: Ngöôøi naøo cai trò loaøi ngöôøi caùch coâng bình, Caùch kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi,

23:4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

23:5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

23:5 Nhaø ta daàu chaúng phaûi nhö vaäy tröôùc maët Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, Song Ngaøi ñaõ laäp vôùi ta moät giao öôùc ñôøi ñôøi, Vöõng beàn trong moïi söï vaø chaéc chaén. Vì ñoù laø caû söï cöùu roãi vaø caû söï öôùc ao ta, Daãu Ngaøi khoâng laøm cho ñieàu ñoù naåy nôû ra.

23:6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

23:7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

23:7 Ngöôøi ta phaûi duøng ñoà baèng saét hay laø caùn caây lao ñaëng naém noù. Roài chính taïi choã, noù bò thieâu trong löûa.

23:8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at the same.

23:8 Naày laø teân caùc ngöôøi maïnh baïo ñaõ giuùp vieäc cho Ña-vít: Gioâ-seùp-Ba-seâ-beát, ngöôøi Taùch-keâ-moân, laøm ñaàu lính thò veä cuûa vua. Aáy laø ngöôøi quô giaùo mình cöï laïi taùm traêm ngöôøi, vaø gieát ñi trong moät luùc gaëp.

23:9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

23:9 Sau ngöôøi aáy, coù EÂ-leâ -a-sa, con trai Ñoâ-ñoâ, chaùu cuûa A-coâ-hi, laø moät trong ba ngöôøi maïnh baïo ñaõ cuøng Ña-vít thaùch daân Phi-li-tin hieäp laïi ñaëng chieán traän.

23:10 He arose, and stroke the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

23:11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled from the Philistines.

23:11 Sau ngöôøi aáy coù Sa-ma, con trai A-ghe, ngöôøi Ha-ra. Daân Phi-li-tin ñaõ hieäp laïi thaønh ñoaøn luõ; ôû ñoù coù moät ñoàng gieo ñaày ñaäu, vaø daân söï ñeàu chaïy troán khoûi tröôùc maët daân Phi-li-tin.

23:15 Ña-vít ao öôùc raèng: Chôù chi ta ñöôïc uoáng nöôùc bôûi gieáng ôû beân cöûa thaønh Beát-leâ-hem!

23:16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

23:16 Baáy giôø, coù ba ngöôøi quan töôùng ñaày loøng gan daï, xoâng ngang qua traïi quaân Phi-li-tin, muùc nöôùc gieáng ôû beân cöûa thaønh Beát-leâ-hem, roài ñem veà daâng cho Ña-vít; nhöng ngöôøi töø choái khoâng uoáng, beøn raûy nöôùc ñoù ra laøm leã daâng cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va,

23:17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

23:17 maø raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va oâi! toâi haún khoâng uoáng ñaâu. Nöôùc naày khaùc naøo huyeát cuûa ba ngöôøi naày, lieàu maïng soáng mình ñaëng ñi ñeán nôi kia. Vaäy ngöôøi khoâng chòu uoáng. Ñoù laø söï cuûa ba ngöôøi töôùng maïnh baïo aáy ñaõ laøm.

23:21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

23:21 Laïi ngöôøi cuõng ñaùnh gieát moät ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ, coù boä töôùng ñaùng sôï haõi. Ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ caàm nôi tay moät caây giaùo; coøn Beâ-na-gia caàm caây gaäy xuoáng ñoùn ngöôøi. Ngöôøi röùt caây giaùo khoûi tay ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ, roài duøng moät caây giaùo aáy maø gieát haén ñi.

 2 Sa mu en - 2 Samuel

24:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

24:1 Côn thaïnh noä cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laïi noåi phöøng cuøng daân Y-sô-ra-eân. Ngaøi giuïc loøng Ña-vít nghòch cuøng chuùng maø raèng: Haõy ñi tu boä daân Y-sô-ra-eân vaø daân Giu-ña.

24:2 For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number all of you the people, that I may know the number of the people.

24:2 Vua beøn noùi vôùi Gioâ-aùp, laø quan toång binh ôû gaàn ngöôøi, maø raèng: Haõy ñi khaép caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, töø Ñan cho ñeán Beâ -e-Seâ-ba, tu boä daân söï, ñeå cho ta bieát soá daân Y-sô-ra-eân laø bao nhieâu.

24:3 And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD your God add unto the people, no matter how many they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?

24:3 Gioâ-aùp ñaùp cuøng vua raèng: Nguyeän Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa vua laøm cho daân söï vua ngaøy nay ñöôïc coøn theâm gaáp baèng traêm, vaø nguyeän maét vua chuùa toâi thaáy söï gia theâm aáy! Nhöng côù sao vua chuùa toâi vui loøng veà moät vieäc nhö vaäy?

24:4 Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.

24:4 Daàu vaäy maëc loøng, lôøi cuûa vua maïnh hôn söï choáng traû cuûa Gioâ-aùp vaø caùc quan töôùng. Vaäy, Gioâ-aùp vaø caùc quan töôùng ôû tröôùc maët vua, ñeàu ñi ra ñaëng tu boä daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

24:5 And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lies in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:

24:5 Sau khi qua soâng Gioâ-ñanh roài, chuùng haï traïi taïi A-roâ -e, veà phía höõu thaønh ôû giöõa truõng Gaùt; roài haïi traïi taïi Gia-eâ-xe.

24:6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon,

24:6 Töø ñoù hoï ñi vaøo trong xöù Ga-la-aùt, veà höôùng xöù thaáp cuûa Hoát-si. Keá ñoù, hoï ñeán Ñan-Gia-an vaø mieàn chung quanh Si-ñoân.

24:7 And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.

24:7 Hoï cuõng ñi ñeán thaønh luõy xöù Ty-rô, vaøo caùc thaønh daân Heá-vít vaø daân Ca-na-an, roài hoï giaùp ñeán Beâ -e-Seâ-ba taïi mieàn nam Giu-ña.

24:8 So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

24:8 Nhö vaäy, hoï ñi khaép xöù vaø trôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem trong chín thaønh vaø hai möôi ngaøy.

24:9 And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

24:9 Gioâ-aùp beøn trao cho vua caùi soå troïn söï tu boä daân söï: trong Y-sô-ra-eân coù taùm traêm ngaøn ngöôøi lính chieán, coù taøi caàm göôm ñöôïc, vaø trong Giu-ña naêm traêm ngaøn ngöôøi.

24:10 And David's heart stroke him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I plead to you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

24:10 Sau khi tu boä daân söï roài, Ña-vít bò löông taâm caén röùt, beøn caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Toâi ñaõ laøm nhö vaäy, thaät laø ñaõ phaïm toäi raát naëng. Vaäy, baây giôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va oâi! xin haõy caát toäi loãi cuûa keû toâi tôù Ngaøi ñaõ phaïm; vì toâi coù laøm caùch ngu daïi quaù.

24:11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,

24:11 Saùng ngaøy mai, khi Ña-vít daäy, coù lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn cuøng tieân tri Gaùt, laø ngöôøi tieân kieán cuûa Ña-vít, raèng:

24:12 Go and say unto David, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things; choose you one of them, that I may do it unto you.

24:12 Haõy ñi noùi vôùi Ña-vít: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta coù ba ñieàu ñònh cho ngöôi; trong ba ñieàu ñoù, haõy choïn moät, roài ta seõ laáy noù maø phaït ngöôi.

24:13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto you in your land? or will you flee three months before yours enemies, while they pursue you? or that there be three days' pestilence in your land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

24:13 Gaùt ñi ñeán cuøng Ña-vít, thaät caùc lôøi ñoù cho ngöôøi, maø raèng: Vua muoán choïn ñieàu naøo? haõy baûy naêm ñoùi keùm trong nöôùc vua, hoaëc trong ba thaùng vua phaûi chaïy troán khoûi tröôùc maët keû thuø nghòch ñuoåi theo vua, hoaëc ba ngaøy dòch haïch trong nöôùc vua? Baây giôø, haõy suy nghó vaø xem ñieàu toâi phaûi thöa laïi cuøng Ñaáng ñaõ sai toâi.

24:14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

24:14 Ña-vít beøn ñaùp cuøng Gaùt raèng: Söï khoán khoå toâi lôùn thay! Theá thì, nguyeän toâi sa vaøo tay cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vì nhöõng söï thöông xoùt cuûa Ngaøi laø lôùn laém; nhöng chôù cho toâi sa vaøo tay cuûa loaøi ngöôøi ta.

24:15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.

24:15 Vaäy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khieán dòch haïch phaù haïi trong daân Y-sô-ra-eân, töø buoåi sôùm mai cho ñeán thì giôø Ngaøi ñaõ nhöùt ñònh. Trong daân söï, töø Ñan ñeán Beâ -e-Seâ-ba, cheát baûy vaïn ngöôøi.

24:16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now yours hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

24:16 Thieân söù giô tay ra treân Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñaëng haïi noù; song Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hoái haän veà tai hoïa aáy, beøn phaùn cuøng thieân söù haønh haïi daân söï raèng: Thoâi! baây giôø haõy ruùt tay ngöôi laïi. Baáy giôø, thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû gaàn saân ñaïp luùa cuûa A-rau-na, ngöôøi Gieâ-bu-sít.

24:17 And David spoke unto the LORD when he saw the angel that stroke the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let yours hand, I pray you, be against me, and against my father's house.

24:17 Ña-vít thaáy thieân söù haønh haïi daân söï, beøn thöa vôùi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nhö vaày: Aáy chính toâi ñaõ phaïm toäi, toâi laø keû coù toäi; coøn caùc con chieân kia coù laøm chi? Nguyeän tay Chuùa chæ haønh haïi toâi vaø nhaø cha toâi.

24:18 And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

24:18 Ngaøy ñoù, Gaùt ñeán tìm Ña-vít, vaø noùi raèng: Haõy ñi leân, laäp moät baøn thôø cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va taïi nôi saân ñaïp luùa cuûa A-rau-na, ngöôøi Gieâ-bu-sít.

24:19 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.

24:19 Vaäy, Ña-vít theo lôøi cuûa Gaùt, ñi leân y nhö Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn daën ngöôøi.

24:20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.

24:20 A-rau-na ngöôùc maét leân, thaáy vua vaø caùc toâi tôù ngöôøi ñi tôùi tröôùc maët mình, lieàn ñi ra vaø saáp mình xuoáng ñaát tröôùc maët vua.

24:21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing floor of you, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

24:21 Ñoaïn, A-rau-na noùi: Côù chi vua chuùa toâi ñeán nhaø keû toâi tôù vua? Ña-vít ñaùp: Aáy ñaëng mua saân ñaïp luùc ngöôi, vaø xaây taïi ñoù moät caùi baøn thôø cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, ñeå ngöøng tai hoïa haønh haïi daân söï.

24:22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seems good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.

24:22 A-rau-na taâu vôùi Ña-vít raèng: Xin vua chuùa toâi haõy daâng laøm cuûa leã ñieàu gì vua laáy laøm toát laønh: Naày nhöõng boø duøng laøm cuûa leã thieâu; coä vaø aùch boø duøng laøm cuûi ñeå ñoát cuûa teá leã.

24:23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD your God accept you.

24:23 Oâi vua! moïi ñieàu ñoù A-rau-na xin daâng cho vua. A-rau-na tieáp: Nguyeän Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa vua tieáp nhaän vua!

24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of you at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which does cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

24:24 Vua ñaùp cuøng A-rau-na raèng: khoâng khoâng ñöôïc; ta muoán mua heát cuûa ngöôi, cöù theo giaù baïc. Ta khoâng muoán daâng cho Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ta nhöõng cuûa leã thieâu khoâng ñaùng giaù chi. Vaäy, Ña-vít mua saân ñaïp luùa vaø boø giaù naêm möôi sieác lô baïc.

24:25 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was implored for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel. #@#

24:25 Ngöôøi laäp taïi ñoù moät baøn thôø cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø daâng cuûa leã thieâu cuøng cuûa leã thuø aân. Theá thì, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñoäng loøng thöông Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø tai hoïa trong xöù beøn ngöøng laïi.
