 Quan xet - Judges

11:1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead brings forth Jephthah.

11:1 Gieùp-theâ, ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt, laø tay doõng só, con cuûa moät ngöôøi kî nöõ, vaø cha laø Ga-la-aùt.

11:2 And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, You shall not inherit in our father's house; for you are the son of a strange woman.

11:2 Vôï cuûa Ga-la-aùt coù sanh cho ngöôøi nhöõng con trai. Khi caùc con trai cuûa vôï aáy lôùn leân, beøn ñuoåi Gieùp-theâ ñi, maø raèng: Maày khoâng ñöôïc aên phaàn gia taøi trong nhaø cha chuùng ta, vì maày laø con cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø khaùc.

11:3 Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.

11:3 Vaäy, Gieùp-theâ troán xa anh em mình, vaø ôû trong xöù Toùp. Coù nhöõng ñöùa du ñaõng hieäp laïi chung quanh Gieùp-theâ, vaø ñi ra vôùi ngöôøi.

11:4 And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.

11:4 Sau moät ít laâu, daân Am-moân giao chieán cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân.

11:5 And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:

11:5 Trong luùc daân Am-moân ñaùnh Y-sô-ra-eân, caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt ñi ñem Gieùp-theâ ôû xöù Toùp veà.

11:6 And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.

11:6 Hoï noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Xin haõy ñeán laøm quan töôùng chuùng ta, chuùng ta seõ ñaùnh daân Am-moân.

11:7 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not all of you hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are all of you come unto me now when all of you are in distress?

11:7 Nhöng Gieùp-theâ ñaùp cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt raèng: Caùc oâng haù chaúng phaûi laø keû gheùt toâi vaø ñuoåi toâi khoûi nhaø cha toâi sao? Coøn baây giôø caùc oâng ñöông bò cuøng-khoán, sao laïi ñeán toâi?

11:8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we return to you now, that you may go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.

11:8 Caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt ñaùp cuøng Gieùp-theâ raèng: Baây giôø chuùng ta laïi ñeán cuøng ngöôi, haàu cho ngöôi ñi vôùi chuùng ta: ngöôi seõ ñaùnh daân Am-moân, roài seõ laøm ñaàu cuûa chuùng ta, vaø cuûa heát thaûy daân xöù Ga-la-aùt.

11:9 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If all of you bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the LORD deliver them before me, shall I be your head?

11:9 Gieùp-theâ laïi ñaùp cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt raèng: Ví baèng caùc oâng ñem toâi veà ñaëng ñaùnh daân Am-moân, vaø neáu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay toâi, toâi seõ laøm ñaàu caùc oâng chôù.

11:10 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to your words.

11:10 Caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt noùi cuøng Gieùp-theâ raèng: Chuùng ta seõ laøm y nhö lôøi ngöôi ñaõ noùi; nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm chöùng giöõa chuùng ta?!

11:11 Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh.

11:11 Vaäy, Gieùp-theâ ñi cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo Ga-la-aùt; daân söï laäp ngöôøi laøm ñaàu vaø töôùng; roài taïi Mích-ba Gieùp-theâ laëp laïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va heát thaûy nhöõng lôøi ngöôøi ñaõ noùi.

11:12 And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What have you to do with me, that you are come against me to fight in my land?

11:12 Ñoaïn Gieùp-theâ sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng vua daân Am-moân maø noùi raèng: Ta vôùi ngöôi coù vieäc chi, neân ngöôi keùo ñeán ta ñaëng haõm ñaùnh xöù ta?

11:13 And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably.

11:13 Vua daân Am-moân ñaùp cuøng söù giaû Gieùp-theâ raèng: Aáy bôûi Y-sô-ra-eân khi ra khoûi nöôùc EÂ-díp-toâ, coù chieám laáy xöù ta töø Aït-noân cho ñeán Gia-boác vaø Gioâ-ñanh. Baây giôø haõy traû eâm laïi xöù aáy cho ta.

11:14 And Jephthah sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Ammon:

11:14 Gieùp-theâ laïi sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng vua daân Am-moân noùi raèng:

11:15 And said unto him, Thus says Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

11:15 Gieùp-theâ noùi nhö vaày: Y-sô-ra-eân khoâng coù xaâm ñoaït ñòa phaän Moâ-aùp, cuõng chaúng coù chieám laáy xöù cuûa daân Am-moân.

11:16 But when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh;

11:16 Song khi Y-sô-ra-eân ra xöù EÂ-díp-toâ, thì ñi ngang qua ñoàng vaéng cho ñeán Bieån ñoû, roài tôùi Ca-ñe.

11:17 Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray you, pass through your land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.

11:17 Baáy giôø, ngöôøi sai söù giaû ñeán vua EÂ-ñoâm ñaëng taâu raèng: Xin cho toâi ñi ngang qua xöù vua. Nhöng vua EÂ-ñoâm khoâng baèng loøng. Ngöôøi cuõng sai söù giaû ñeán vua Moâ-aùp, vua Moâ-aùp cuõng khoâng khöùng cho, neân Y-sô-ra-eân cöù ôû taïi Ca-ñe.

11:18 Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.

11:18 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi laïi ñi vaøo ñoàng vaéng, voøng quanh xöù EÂ-ñoâm vaø xöù Moâ-aùp; roài ñeán coõi phía ñoâng xöù Moâ-aùp. Ngöôøi haï traïi ôû beân kia Aït-noân, khoâng vaøo bôø coõi Moâ-aùp; vì Aït-noân laø giôùi haïn cuûa xöù Moâ-aùp.

11:19 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray you, through your land into my place.

11:19 Roát laïi, Y-sô-ra-eân sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng Si-hoân, vua ngöôøi A-moâ-rít, ôû taïi Beát-hoân, vaø daën noùi raèng: Xin ñeå cho chuùng toâi ñi ngang qua xöù vua ñaëng ñeán xöù chuùng toâi.

11:20 But Sihon trusted not Israel to pass through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

11:20 Nhöng Si-hoân khoâng ñuû tin daân Y-sô-ra-eân, neân khoâng cho ñi ngang qua xöù mình, beøn hieäp laïi caû cô binh mình, keùo ñeán ñoùng traïi taïi Gia-haùt vaø choáng ñaáu cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân.

11:21 And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they stroke them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

11:21 Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân phoù Si-hoân vaø caû cô binh ngöôøi vaøo tay Y-sô-ra-eân. Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùnh baïi chuùng noù, vaø laáy toaøn xöù daân A-moâ-rít, laø daân mieàn ñoù.

11:22 And they possessed all the coasts of the Amorites, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan.

11:22 Vaäy, Y-sô-ra-eân nhaän ñöôïc toaøn xöù daân A-moâ-rít, töø Aït-noân cho ñeán Gia-boác, vaø töø ñoàng vaéng cho ñeán Gioâ-ñanh.

11:23 So now the LORD God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and should you possess it?

11:23 Vaäy baây giôø, Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ ñuoåi daân A-moâ-rít khoûi tröôùc maët daân Y-sô-ra-eân cuûa Ngaøi roài, thì ngöôi laïi muoán chieám laáy xöù cuûa hoï sao!

11:24 Will not you possess that which Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.

11:24 Ngöôi haù chaúng nhaän ñöôïc ñaát maø Keâ-moát, laø thaàn cuûa ngöôi, ñaõ ban cho ngöôi sao? Theá thì, chuùng ta cuõng nhaän ñöôïc ñaát cuûa nhöõng keû naøo maø Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chuùng ta ñaõ ñuoåi khoûi tröôùc maët chuùng ta.

11:25 And now are you any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them,

11:25 Vaû laïi, ngöôi cho troåi hôn Ba-laùc, con trai Xeáp-boâ, vua Moâ-aùp chaêng? Haén haù coù khi naøo caõi coï hay laø chieán ñaáu cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân chaêng?

11:26 While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did all of you not recover them within that time?

11:26 Ñöông luùc ba traêm naêm maø Y-sô-ra-eân ôû taïi Heát-boân vaø caùc thaønh ñòa haït noù, A-roâ -e vaø caùc thaønh ñòa haït noù, cuøng heát thaûy caùc thaønh ôû doïc theo Aït-noân, sao ngöôi khoâng laáy noù laïi trong khi ñoù?

11:27 Wherefore I have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.

11:27 Vaäy, ta khoâng coù phaïm toäi cuøng ngöôi, nhöng ngöôi ñaõ laøm quaáy cuøng ta maø haõm ñaùnh ta. Nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, laø Ñaáng ñoaùn xeùt, ngaøy nay xeùt ñoaùn giöõa daân Y-sô-ra-eân vaø daân Am-moân!

11:28 Nevertheless the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.

11:28 Nhöng vua daân Am-moân khoâng khöùng nghe lôøi cuûa Gieùp-theâ sai noùi cuøng ngöôøi.

11:29 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

11:29 Thaàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn caûm ñoäng Gieùp-theâ; ngöôøi traûi qua Ga-la-aùt vaø Ma-na-se, sang ñeán Mích-ba ôû Ga-la-aùt, roài töø Mích-ba ôû Ga-la-aùt, ngöôøi ñi ñaùnh daân Am-moân.

11:30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If you shall without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,

11:30 Gieùp-theâ khaån nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Neáu Ngaøi phoù daân Am-moân vaøo tay toâi, khi toâi thaéng chuùng noù trôû veà,

11:31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.

11:31 heã chi ôû cöûa nhaø toâi ñi ra ñaàu heát ñaëng ñoùn röôùc toâi, thì naáy seõ thuoäc veà Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø toâi seõ daâng noù laøm cuûa leã thieâu.

11:32 So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.

11:32 Ñoaïn, Gieùp-theâ ñi ñeán daân Am-moân ñaëng giao chieán cuøng chuùng noù, vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay ngöôøi.

11:33 And he stroke them from Aroer, even till you come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

11:33 Ngöôøi ñaùnh baïi chuùng noù töø A-roâ -e cho ñeán Mi-nít, vaø cho ñeán A-beân-Keâ-ra-mim, cuøng chieám laáy cuûa chuùng noù hai möôi caùi thaønh. Aáy laø moät traän-baïi raát lôùn; daân Am-moân bò phuïc tröôùc maët daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

11:34 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.

11:34 Gieùp-theâ trôû veà nhaø mình taïi Mích-ba; kìa, con gaùi ngöôøi ra ñoùn-röôùc ngöôøi, coù caàm troáng nhoû vaø nhaûy muùa. Naøng laø con moät cuûa ngöôøi, ngoaøi naøng chaúng coù con trai hoaëc con gaùi naøo khaùc hôn.

11:35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! you have brought me very low, and you are one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.

11:35 Gieùp-theâ vöøa thaáy naøng, lieàn xeù aùo mình maø raèng: ÔÙ con, than oâi! con gaây cho cha töùc toái quaù thay! Con thuoäc vaøo soá keû laøm roái cha! Vì cha coù môû mieäng khaán nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, khoâng theá nuoát lôøi.

11:36 And she said unto him, My father, if you have opened your mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which has proceeded out of your mouth; forasmuch as the LORD has taken vengeance for you of yours enemies, even of the children of Ammon.

11:36 Naøng thöa raèng: Cha oâi, neáu cha coù môû mieäng khaán nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin haõy laøm cho con y nhö lôøi ra khoûi mieäng cha, vì baây giôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ baùo thuø keû cöøu ñòch cha roài, töùc laø daân Am-moân.

11:37 And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and mourn for my virginity, I and my fellows.

11:37 Ñoaïn, naøng laïi noùi cuøng cha mình raèng: Xin cha haõy nhaäm cho con lôøi naày: Ñeå cho con thong thaû trong hai thaùng, con seõ ñi ôû treân nuùi ñaëng cuøng chò em baïn con khoùc veà söï ñoàng trinh cuûa con.

11:38 And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.

11:38 Gieùp-theâ ñaùp raèng: Con cöù ñi. Roài ngöôøi ñeå naøng ñi hai thaùng. Vaäy, naøng ñi cuøng chò em baïn mình, khoùc söï ñoàng trinh mình taïi treân nuùi.

11:39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,

11:39 Cuoái hai thaùng, naøng trôû veà cha mình, vaø ngöôøi laøm cho naøng tuøy theo lôøi khaán nguyeän mình ñaõ höùa. Naøng chaúng coù bieát ngöôøi nam. Taïi côù ñoù trong Y-sô-ra-eân coù thöôøng leä naày:

11:40 That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.

11:40 Moãi naêm, caùc con gaùi Y-sô-ra-eân ñi than khoùc con gaùi cuûa Gieùp-theâ, ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt, trong boán ngaøy.

 Quan xet - Judges

12:1 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passed you over to fight against the children of Ammon, and did not call us to go with you? we will burn yours house upon you with fire.

12:1 Ngöôøi Eùp-ra-im nhoùm hieäp ñeán taïi Xa-phoân, vaø noùi cuøng Gieùp-theâ raèng: Vì sao ngöôi ñi ñaùnh daân Am-moân khoâng goïi chuùng ta ñi vôùi? Chuùng ta seõ ñoát nhaø ngöôi luoân vôùi ngöôi.

12:2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, all of you delivered me not out of their hands.

12:2 Gieùp-theâ ñaùp raèng: Ta vaø daân söï ta coù cuoäc tranh caïnh raát lôùn vôùi daân Am-moân; vaø khi ta keâu caùc ngöôi, thì caùc ngöôi khoâng coù giaûi cöùu ta khoûi tay chuùng noù.

12:3 And when I saw that all of you delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed opposite to the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are all of you come up unto me this day, to fight against me?

12:3 Thaáy raèng caùc ngöôi khoâng ñeán tieáp cöùu ta, thì ta ñaõ lieàu mình ñi ñaùnh daân Am-moân, vaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay ta. Vaäy, sao ngaøy nay caùc ngöôi leân ñeán ta ñaëng tranh chieán cuøng ta?

12:4 Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead stroke Ephraim, because they said, All of you Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.

12:4 Keá aáy, Gieùp-theâ hieäp laïi heát thaûy daân Ga-la-aùt, giao chieán cuøng Eùp-ra-im. Ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt ñaùnh baïi ngöôøi Eùp-ra-im, vì hoï noùi raèng: ÔÙ daân Ga-la-aùt, giöõa Eùp-ra-im vaø Ma-na-se, caùc ngöôi chæ laø laø keû troán traùnh cuûa Eùp-ra-im ñoù thoâi!

12:5 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Are you an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;

12:5 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt xaâm chieám nhöõng choã caïn soâng Gioâ-ñanh, tröôùc khi ngöôøi Eùp-ra-im ñeán ñoù. Vaø khi moät ngöôøi troán naøo cuûa Eùp-ra-im noùi raèng: Xin ñeå cho toâi ñi qua, thì ngöôøi Ga-la-aùt noùi raèng: Ngöôi coù phaûi ngöôøi Eùp-ra-im chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Khoâng.

12:6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.

12:6 Chuùng beøn noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Theá thì, haõy noùi: Si-boâ-leát; ngöôøi noùi Si-boâ-leát, khoâng theá noùi cho roõ ñöôïc; chuùng beøn baét hoï vaø gieát ñi taïi choã caïn cuûa soâng Gioâ-ñanh. Trong luùc ñoù coù boán möôi hai ngaøn ngöôøi Eùp-ra-im bò cheát.

12:7 And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.

12:11 Sau Ieáp-san, coù EÂ-loân ngöôøi Sa-bu-loân, laøm quan xeùt trong Y-sô-ra-eân, phaùn xeùt Y-sô-ra-eân trong möôøi naêm.

12:12 And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun.

12:12 Ñoaïn, EÂ-loân, ngöôøi Sa-bu-loân, qua ñôøi, ñöôïc choân taïi A-gia-loân, trong ñaát chi phaùi Sa-bu-loân.

13:1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

13:1 Daân Y-sô-ra-eân cöù laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, neân Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay daân Phi-li-tin troïn boán möôi naêm.

13:3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, you are barren, and bear not: but you shall conceive, and bear a son.

13:3 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va hieän ñeán cuøng ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy maø raèng: Kìa, ngöôi son seû khoâng coù con; nhöng ngöôi seõ thoï thai vaø sanh moät ñöùa con trai.

13:5 For, lo, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

13:5 vì ngöôøi seõ coù ngheùn vaø sanh moät ñöùa con trai. Dao caïo seõ khoâng ñöa qua ñaàu noù, bôûi vì ñöùa treû töø trong loøng meï seõ laøm ngöôøi Na-xi-reâ cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; veà sau noù seõ giaûi cöùu Y-sô-ra-eân khoûi tay daân Phi-li-tin.

13:6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

13:6 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø ñi thuaät laïi cuøng choàng mình raèng: Moät ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeán cuøng toâi, dieän maïo ngöôøi gioáng nhö dieän maïo thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, raát ñaùng kính ñaùng sôï. Toâi khoâng daùm hoûi ngöôøi ôû ñaâu, ngöôøi cuõng khoâng toû cho bieát teân ngöôøi;

13:7 nhöng ngöôøi coù noùi cuøng toâi raèng: Kìa, ngöôi seõ thoï thai vaø sanh moät ñöùa trai; vaäy baây giôø, chôù uoáng röôïu hay laø vaät chi say, vaø cuõng ñöøng aên vaät gì chaúng saïch; vì ñöùa treû ñoù, töø trong loøng meï cho ñeán ngaøy qua ñôøi, seõ laø ngöôøi Na-xi-reâ cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

13:8 Then Manoah implored the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which you did send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.

13:8 Ma-noâ -a caàu nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø raèng: Oâi, Chuùa! xin Chuùa cho ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø Chuùa ñaõ sai xuoáng, laïi ñeán cuøng chuùng toâi, ñaëng daïy chuùng toâi ñieàu phaûi laøm cho ñöùa treû seõ sanh ra!

13:9 And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.

13:9 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi nhaäm lôøi caàu nguyeän cuûa Ma-noâ -a. Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laïi ñeán cuøng ngöôøi ñôøn baø ñöông khi ngoài trong ñoàng ruoäng; coøn Ma-noâ -a, choàng naøng, khoâng coù taïi ñoù vôùi naøng.

13:10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man has appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.

13:10 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø lieàn chaïy ñi thuaät cho choàng raèng: Kìa, ngöôøi ñaõ ñeán cuøng toâi ngaøy noï, nay laïi hieän ñeán.

13:11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Are you the man that spoke unto the woman? And he said, I am.

13:11 Ma-noâ -a ñöùng daäy, ñi theo vôï mình, vaø khi ñeán gaàn ngöôøi ñoù, thì noùi raèng: Oâng coù phaûi laø ngöôøi ñaõ noùi cuøng ñôøn baø naày chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Aáy laø ta.

13:12 And Manoah said, Now let your words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?

13:12 Ma-noâ -a tieáp: Khi lôøi oâng öùng nghieäm, thì ñöùa treû phaûi giöõ theo leä naøo, vaø phaûi laøm laøm sao?

13:13 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

13:13 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp cuøng Ma-noâ -a raèng: Ngöôøi ñôøn baø phaûi kieâng cöõ moïi ñieàu ta ñaõ daën

13:15 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray you, let us detain you, until we shall have made ready a kid for you.

13:15 Baáy giôø, Ma-noâ -a thöa cuøng thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Xin cho pheùp chuùng toâi caàm oâng ñaëng doïn daâng cho oâng moät con deâ con.

13:16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though you detain me, I will not eat of your bread: and if you will offer a burnt offering, you must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

13:16 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp cuøng Ma-noâ -a raèng: Daàu ngöôi caàm ta laïi, ta cuõng chaúng aên vaät thöïc cuûa ngöôi; nhöng neáu muoán laøm moät cuûa leã thieâu, thì haõy daâng leân cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vaû, Ma-noâ -a khoâng roõ aáy laø thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va,

13:17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is your name, that when your sayings come to pass we may do you honour?

13:17 Ma-noâ -a laïi thöa cuøng thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Danh oâng laø chi, ñeå chuùng toâi toân troïng oâng khi lôøi oâng phaùn ñöôïc öùng nghieäm?

13:18 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why ask you thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

13:18 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp raèng: Sao ngöôi hoûi danh ta nhö vaäy? Danh aáy laáy laøm dieäu kyø.

13:19 So Manoah took a kid with a food offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.

13:20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.

13:20 trong luùc ngoïn löûa töø baøn thôø caát bay leân treân trôøi, thì thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va cuõng daâng leân theo trong ngoïn löûa cuûa baøn thôø. Thaáy vaäy, Ma-noâ -a teù saáp maët xuoáng ñaát.

13:21 But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

13:22 beøn noùi cuøng vôï raèng: Quaû thaät chuùng ta seõ cheát, vì ñaõ thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi!

13:23 But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a food offering at our hands, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.

13:23 Nhöng vôï ñaùp raèng: Neáu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va muoán gieát chuùng ta, leõ naøo Ngaøi coù nhaäm cuûa leã thieâu vaø cuûa leã chay nôi tay ta, laïi leõ naøo Ngaøi ñaõ cho chuùng ta thaáy caùc ñieàu naày, vaø cho ta nghe nhöõng lôøi maø chuùng ta ñaõ nghe ngaøy nay.

14:1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.

14:1 Sam-soân ñi xuoáng Thim-na, thaáy moät ngöôøi nöõ trong voøng con gaùi Phi-li-tin.

14:2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

14:2 Ngöôøi ñaõ trôû leân, thuaät ñieàu ñoù cho cha meï mình, maø raèng: Con coù thaáy taïi Thim-ma moät ngöôøi nöõ trong voøng con gaùi Phi-li-tin; baây giôø xin haõy hoûi naøng cöôùi cho con.

14:3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there not a woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleases me well.

14:3 Cha meï ngöôøi noùi raèng: Trong voøng caùc con gaùi cuûa anh em con vaø trong caû daân söï chuùng ta, haù chaúng coù ngöôøi nöõ naøo, maø con phaûi ñi cöôùi vôï nôi daân Phi-li-tin chaúng chòu caét bì ñoù sao? Sam-soân ñaùp cuøng cha raèng: Xin cha haõy cöôùi naøng ñoù cho con, vì noù ñeïp maét con.

14:4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

14:4 Vaû, cha meï ngöôøi chaúng roõ ñieàu ñoù bôûi nôi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø ñeán; vì ngöôøi tìm dòp tranh ñaáu cuøng daân Phi-li-tin. Luùc baáy giôø daân Phi-li-tin quaûn haït Y-sô-ra-eân.

14:5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.

14:5 Sam-soân ñi xuoáng Thim-na vôùi cha meï mình; khi ñeán vöôøn nho Thim-na, thaáy moät con sö töû tô ñeán ñoùn gaàm heùt.

14:6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

14:6 Thaàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va caûm ñoäng Sam-soân raát maïnh, tuy chaúng caàm vaät chi, song ngöôøi xeù con sö töû ñoù nhö xeù con deâ con vaäy. Nhöng ngöôøi chaúng thuaät laïi cho cha meï hay ñieàu mình ñaõ laøm.

14:8 And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion.

14:14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth food, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

14:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice your husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father's house with fire: have all of you called us to take that we have? is it not so?

14:15 Ñeán ngaøy thöù baûy, chuùng noùi cuøng vôï Sam-soân raèng: Haõy duï choàng naøng giaûi ñaùp caâu ñoá cho chuùng ta; baèng chaúng, chuùng ta seõ ñoát naøng vaø nhaø cha naøng. Coù phaûi ñeå boùc loät chuùng ta maø caùc ngöôi thænh chuùng ta chaêng?

14:16 And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, You do but hate me, and love me not: you have put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and have not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it you?

14:16 Vôï Sam-soân khoùc tröôùc maët ngöôøi maø raèng: Quaû thaät, chaøng gheùt toâi, chaúng thöông toâi chuùt naøo: chaøng ñaõ ra moät caâu ñoá cho ngöôøi daân söï toâi, maø khoâng coù giaûi nghóa cho toâi. 14:17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.

14:17 Trong baûy ngaøy aên tieäc naøng cöù khoùc nhö vaäy tröôùc maët ngöôøi. Qua ngaøy thöù baûy, ngöôøi giaûi nghóa cho naøng, bôûi vì naøng laøm cöïc loøng ngöôøi. Ñoaïn, naøng giaûi laïi cho ngöôøi daân söï mình.

14:18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion? and he said unto them, If all of you had not plowed with my heifer, all of you had not found out my riddle.

14:18 Vaäy, ngaøy thöù baûy, tröôùc khi maët trôøi laën, ngöôøi trong thaønh ñeán noùi cuøng chaøng raèng: Coù gì ngoït hôn maät, coù chi maïnh hôn sö töû? Sam-soân beøn ñaùp: Neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng caøy ruoäng baèng boø caùi tô ta, thì caùc ngöôi khoâng giaûi ñöôïc caâu ñoá ta.

15:1 But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.

15:1 Sau ít laâu, nhaèm muøa gaët luùa mì, Sam-soân ñi thaêm vôï mình, ñem cho naøng moät con deâ con, vaø noùi raèng: Toâi muoán ñi ñeán cuøng vôï toâi trong phoøng naøng. Nhöng cha naøng khoâng cho pheùp ngöôøi vaøo,

15:2 And her father said, I verily thought that you had utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to your companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray you, instead of her.

15:2 beøn noùi raèng: Ta ngôø ngöôi gheùt noù, neân ta ñaõ gaû noù cho baïn cuûa ngöôi. Em gaùi noù haù chaúng lòch söï hôn noù sao? Vaäy, hay laáy em noù theá cho.

15:3 And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.

15:3 Sam-soân ñaùp raèng: Neáu laàn naày ta laøm haïi cho daân Phi-li-tin, thì ta cuõng voâ toäi.

15:4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.

15:4 Vaäy, Sam-soân ñi baét ba traêm con choù röøng, cuõng laáy nhöõng ñuoác, roài coät ñuoâi moãi hai con laïi, vaø coät ñuoác giöõa hai ñuoâi.

15:5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.

15:5 Ngöôøi ñoát ñuoác, thaû choù röøng vaøo trong luùa mì cuûa daân Phi-li-tin. Nhö vaäy, ngöôøi ñoát luùa mì ñaõ boù cuøng luùa mì chöa gaët, vaø caùc vöôøn oâ-li-ve.

15:6 Then the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

15:6 Daân Phi-li-tin hoûi: Ai laøm ñieàu ñoù? Ngöôøi ta ñaùp: Sam-soân, reå cuûa ngöôøi Thim-na, bôûi vì ngöôøi Thim-na baét vôï haén maø gaû cho moät ngöôøi baïn cuûa haén. Daân Phi-li-tin beøn ñi leân, thieâu naøng luoân vôùi cha naøng trong löûa.

15:10 Ngöôøi Giu-ña noùi cuøng chuùng raèng: Côù sao caùc ngöôi leân ñaùnh chuùng ta? Chuùng ñaùp: Chuùng ta leân ñaây, aáy ñaëng troùi Sam-soân: chuùng ta seõ ñaõi haén y nhö haén ñaõ ñaõi chuùng ta!

15:11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Know you not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that you have done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.

15:11 Ba ngaøn ngöôøi Giu-ña beøn xuoáng hang ñaù EÂ-tam maø noùi cuøng Sam-soân raèng: Ngöôi haù chaúng bieát daân Phi-li-tin laø chuû chuùng ta ö? Vaäy, sao ngöôi ñaõ laøm ñieàu ñoù cho chuùng ta? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Ta ñaõi chuùng noù nhö chính chuùng noù ñaõi ta.

15:12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind you, that we may deliver you into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that all of you will not fall upon me yourselves.

15:12 Chuùng laïi noùi raèng: Chuùng ta xuoáng ñaëng troùi ngöôi, ñeå noäp ngöôi vaøo tay daân Phi-li-tin. Sam-soân tieáp: Haõy theà cuøng ta raèng caùc ngöôi chaúng gieát ta.

15:13 And they spoke unto him, saying, No; but we will bind you fast, and deliver you into their hand: but surely we will not kill you. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.

15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

16:1 Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.

16:1 Sam-soân ñi ñeán Ga-xa, thaáy moät kî nöõ ôû ñoù, beøn ñi vaøo nhaø naøng.

16:2 And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson has come here. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.

16:2 Ngöôøi ta thuaät laïi cho daân Ga-xa raèng: Sam-soân ñaõ ñeán ñaây. Chuùng beøn vaây ngöôøi vaø rình giöõ troïn ñeâm taïi cöûa thaønh. Caû ñeâm aáy, chuùng giöõ yeân laëng, maø raèng: Röïng saùng, chuùng ta seõ gieát haén.

16:3 And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron.

16:3 Sam-soân ôû nguû cho ñeán khuya. Loái khuya, ngöôøi thöùc daäy, naém hai caùnh cöûa thaønh vaø hai caây truï, nhoå noù leân luoân vôùi caây then, vaùc treân vai, vaø ñem leân choùt nuùi ñoái ngang Heáp-roân.

16:4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

16:4 Sau ñoù, ngöôøi yeâu meán moät ngöôøi nöõ trong truõng Soâ-reùc, teân laø Ña-li-la.

16:5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lies, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give you every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

16:5 Caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin ñeán nhaø naøng, maø raèng: Haõy raùn duï doã haén, haàu cho bieát bôûi ñaâu haén coù söùc maïnh lôùn lao kia, vaø chuùng ta phaûi laøm theá naøo cho ñöôïc thaéng hôn, troùi vaø baét haén phuïc. Chuùng ta ai naáy seõ thöôûng cho naøng möôøi moät traêm mieáng baïc.

16:6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray you, wherein your great strength lies, and wherewith you might be bound to afflict you.

16:6 Ña-li-la noùi cuøng Sam-soân raèng: Toâi xin chaøng haõy noùi cho toâi bieát bôûi ñaâu chaøng coù söùc maïnh lôùn lao, vaø phaûi duøng chi troùi chaøng ñaëng baét phuïc chaøng?

16:7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withes that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.

16:7 Sam-soân ñaùp: Neáu ngöôøi ta troùi toâi baèng baûy sôïi daây cung töôi vaø coøn öôùt, thì toâi seõ trôû neân yeáu ñuoái nhö moät ngöôøi khaùc.

16:8 Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withes which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.

16:8 Caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin ñem cho Ña-li-la baûy sôïi daây töôi vaø coøn öôùt, naøng laáy troùi ngöôøi.

16:9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he brake the withes, as a thread of tow is broken when it touches the fire. So his strength was not known.

16:9 Vaû, taïi trong phoøng ôû nhaø naøng coù binh phuïc. Naøng noùi: ÔÙ Sam-soân, ngöôøi Phi-li-tin xoâng haõm ngöôi! Song ngöôøi böùt nhöõng sôïi daây nhö sôïi chæ gai ñöùt khi ñuïng ñeán löûa. Nhö vaäy, caên nguyeân söùc maïnh ngöôøi chaúng tìm ra ñöôïc.

16:10 And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, you have mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray you, wherewith you might be bound.

16:10 Ña-li-la noùi cuøng Sam-soân raèng: Naày chaøng ñaõ gaït toâi, noùi doái cuøng toâi. Xin baây giôø haõy toû cho toâi phaûi laáy chi troùi chaøng?

16:11 And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.

16:11 Ngöôøi ñaùp: Neáu ngöôøi ta coät ta baèng daây lôùn môùi, chöa heà coù ai duøng, thì ta seõ trôû neân yeáu nhö moät ngöôøi khaùc.

16:12 Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And there were hidden attackers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

16:12 Vaäy, Ña-li-la laáy daây lôùn môùi, troùi Sam-soân roài noùi raèng: ÔÙ Sam-soân, ngöôøi Phi-li-tin xoâng haõm ngöôi! Vaû, coù binh ñöông phuïc trong moät phoøng. Nhöng ngöôøi böùc nhöõng sôïi daây lôùn troùi caùnh tay, y nhö moät sôïi chæ vaäy.

16:13 And Delilah said unto Samson, Until now you have mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith you might be bound. And he said unto her, If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web.

16:13 Ña-li-la noùi cuøng Sam-soân raèng: Chaøng gaït toâi vaø noùi doái toâi ñeán baây giôø. Vaäy. xin haõy noùi cho toâi bieát phaûi troùi chaøng baèng chi. Ngöôøi ñaùp: Naøng cöù deät baûy loïn toùc thaét cuûa ñaàu ta vaøo trong canh chæ cuûa naøng.

16:14 And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

16:15 And she said unto him, How can you say, I love you, when yours heart is not with me? you have mocked me these three times, and have not told me wherein your great strength lies.

16:15 Baáy giôø, naøng môùi noùi raèng: Laøm sao chaøng noùi ñöôïc raèng: Toâi yeâu naøng! bôûi vì loøng chaøng chaúng thaønh cuøng toâi? Chaøng ñaõ gaït toâi ba laàn, vaø chaúng noùi cho toâi bieát bôûi ñaâu coù söùc löïc lôùn cuûa chaøng.

16:16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;

16:16 Moãi ngaøy naøng laáy caâu hoûi gheïo loøng roái trí ngöôøi, ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi bò töùc mình hoøng cheát.

16:17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There has not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.

16:17 Ngöôøi beøn toû heát söï loøng mình maø raèng: Dao caïo chaúng heà ñöa qua ñaàu ta, vì töø trong loøng meï, ta ñaõ laøm ngöôøi Na-xi-reâ cho Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Neáu ta bò caïo, söùc löïc ta seõ lìa khoûi ta, ta taát trôû thaønh yeáu nhö ngöôøi khaùc.

16:18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he has showed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.

16:18 Ña-li-la thaáy nguôøi ñaõ toû heát söï loøng cho mình, sai môøi caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin, maø raèng: Laàn naày haõy leân, vì haén toû heát söï loøng cho toâi. Vaäy, caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin ñi leân nhaø naøng, ñem baïc trong tay.

16:19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

16:19 Naøng khieán Sam-soân naèm nguû treân ñaàu goái mình, goïi moät ngöôøi, bieåu caïo baûy meù toùc treân ñaàu chaøng. Nhö vaäy, naøng khôûi laøm khoán khoå ngöôøi, söùc löïc beøn lìa khoûi ngöôøi.

16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he knows not that the LORD was departed from him.

16:20 Baáy giôø naøng noùi: ÔÙ Sam-soân, ngöôøi Phi-li-tin xoâng haõm ngöôi! Ngöôøi thöùc daäy maø raèng: Ta seõ ra nhö caùc laàn tröôùc, vaø gôõ mình cho thoaùt khoûi tay chuùng noù! Nhöng ngöôøi chaúng bieát raèng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ lìa khoûi mình.

16:21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

16:21 Ngöôøi Phi-li-tin baét ngöôøi, khoeùt con maét, ñem xuoáng Ga-xa, roài troùi ngöôøi baèng daây ñoàng ñaäu ñoâi, vaø baét ngöôøi phaûi xay coái trong nguïc.

16:22 Nevertheless the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.

16:22 Song toùc ngöôøi ñaõ bò caïo khôûi moïc laïi.

16:23 Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together in order to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god has delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.

16:23 Vaû, caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin nhoùm laïi ñaëng daâng cuûa teá leã lôùn cho Ña-goân, thaàn cuûa hoï, vaø ñaëng vui möøng nhau. Chuùng noùi raèng: Thaàn chuùng ta ñaõ phoù Sam-soân vaøo tay chuùng ta, laø keû thuø nghòch chuùng ta.

16:24 And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.

16:24 Daân söï vöøa thaáy ngöôøi, cuõng caát tieáng khen ngôïi thaàn mình, maø raèng: Thaàn chuùng ta ñaõ phoù keû thuø nghòch vaøo tay chuùng ta, laø keû ñaõ phaù haïi xöù chuùng ta, vaø ñaõ gieát bieát bao nhieâu ngöôøi!

16:25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

16:25 Ñöông khi loøng raát hôùn hôû, chuùng la leân raèng: Haõy goïi Sam-soân, ñeå haén laøm troø vui cho chuùng ta. Vaäy, chuùng daãn Sam-soân ôû nguïc ñeán, roài ngöôøi laøm troø tröôùc maët chuùng. Ngöôøi ta ñaõ ñeå ngöôøi ñöùng giöõa caùc coät;

16:26 Sam-soân beøn noùi cuøng ñöùa treû naém tay mình raèng: Haõy buoâng ta, vaø ñeå cho ta rôø ñeán caùc coät ñôõ chòu caùi ñeàn, haàu cho ta döïa vaøo ñoù.

16:27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

16:27 Vaû, ñeàn ñaày nhöõng ngöôøi nam ngöôøi nöõ, vaø heát thaûy caùc quan tröôûng Phi-li-tin ñeàu ôû ñoù; taïi treân saân maùi ñeàn cuõng coù ñoä gaàn ba ngaøn ngöôøi nam vaø nöõ xem Sam-soân laøm troø.

16:28 Baáy giôø, Sam-soân keâu caàu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø raèng: Chuùa Gieâ-hoâ-va oâi! xin Ngaøi nhôù laïi toâi. Hôõi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi! xin ban söùc löïc cho toâi chæ laàn naày maø thoâi, haàu cho toâi baùo thuø daân Phi-li-tin veà söï maát hai con maét toâi.

16:29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

16:29 Sam-soân vôù laáy hai caây coät chính giöõa ñôõ chòu caùi ñeàn, moät caây ôû beân höõu vaø moät caây ôû beân taû, nhaän vaøo, maø raèng: Nguyeän toâi cheát chung vôùi daân Phi-li-tin! 16:30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

16:30 Aáy vaäy, trong luùc cheát, Sam-soân gieát nhieàu ngöôøi hôn laø gieát trong khi coøn soáng.

18:7 Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.

18:7 Vaäy, naêm ngöôøi aáy leân ñöôøng, ñeán La-ít, thaáy daân söï taïi ñoù coù thoùi tuïc daân Si-ñoân, ôû an oån, bình tònh, vaø vöõng chaéc. 18:8 Keá aáy, naêm ngöôøi trôû veà cuøng caùc anh em mình taïi Xoâ-reâ -a vaø EÂ-ta-oân, thì anh em hoûi chuùng raèng: Caùc anh ñaõ laøm gì?

18:9 And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are all of you still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.

18:9 Naêm ngöôøi ñaùp: Heø! haõy ñi leân ñaùnh chuùng noù, vì chuùng toâi coù thaáy xöù aáy thaät laáy laøm toát nhöùt. Uûa kìa! anh em ôû ñoù chaúng laøm chi sao? Chôù neân bieáng nhaùc maø ñi leân chieám laáy xöù aáy laøm saûn nghieäp.

18:10 When all of you go, all of you shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God has given it into your hands; a place where there is no lack of any thing that is in the earth.

18:10 Khi anh em vaøo xöù ñoù, seõ ñeán cuøng moät daân an oån. Xöù aáy thaät raát roäng, vaø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ phoù noù vaøo tay anh em; quaû thaät moät nôi chaúng thieáu vaät chi ñaát sanh saûn.

18:11 And there went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.

18:11 Vaäy, saùu traêm ngöôøi veà doøng Ñan caàm binh khí, ñi töø Xoâ-reâ -a vaø EÂ-ta-oân

18:13 And they passed thence unto mount Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah.

18:13 Töø ñoù chuùng ñi sang nuùi Eùp-ra-im vaø ñeán nhaø Mi-ca.

18:14 Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do all of you know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what all of you have to do.

18:14 Baáy giôø, naêm ngöôøi ñaõ ñi do thaùm xöù La-ít caát tieáng noùi cuøng anh em mình raèng: Trong nhaø naày coù moät caùi eâ-phoùt, nhöõng theâ-ra-phim, vaø moät töôïng chaïm vôùi chôn baèng vaøng gang; anh em coù bieát chaêng? Vaäy, baây giôø haõy xem ñieàu anh em phaûi laøm.

18:17 And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.

18:18 And these went into Micah's house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest unto them, What do all of you?

18:18 Naêm ngöôøi ñoù vaøo nhaø cöôùp laáy caùc vaät aáy roài, thaày teá leã beøn hoûi chuùng raèng: Caùc ngöôi laøm chi vaäy?

18:19 And they said unto him, Hold your peace, lay yours hand upon your mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for you to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that you be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel?

18:19 Chuùng ñaùp raèng: Haõy nín ñi, laáy tay buïm mieäng laïi, vaø ñeán cuøng chuùng ta, laøm cha vaø thaày teá leã cho chuùng ta. Ngöôi laøm thaày teá leã cho moät nhaø, hay laø laøm thaày teá leã cho moät chi phaùi, moät hoï haøng trong Y-sô-ra-eân, ñieàu naøo khaù hôn?

18:20 And the priest's heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people.

18:24 Mi-ca ñaùp: Caùc ngöôi ñaõ cöôùp laáy caùc thaàn ta ñaõ laøm neân, vaø luoân thaày teá leã, maø ñi. Coøn chi laïi cho ta? Sao caùc ngöôi coøn hoûi raèng ta coù laøm ñieàu chi?

18:25 Ngöôøi Ñan ñaùp cuøng Mi-ca raèng: Chôù cho ta nghe tieáng ngöôi nöõa, e coù ngöôi noåi giaän xoâng haõm caùc ngöôi, laøm cho ngöôi vaø nhaø ngöôi ñeàu bò maát söï soáng chaêng.

19:1 And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.

19:1 Nhaèm luùc khoâng coù vua trong Y-sô-ra-eân, coù moät ngöôøi Leâ-vi ñeán kieàu nguï nôi goùc xa hôn heát cuûa nuùi Eùp-ra-im, laáy moät ngöôøi vôï beù ôû Beát-leâ-hem, thaønh xöù Giu-ña.

19:2 And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months.

19:2 Vôï beù ngöôøi haønh daâm, boû ngöôøi, ñi veà nhaø cha mình taïi Beát-leâ-hem trong xöù Giu-ña, vaø ôû ñoù boán thaùng.

19:3 And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.

19:3 Choàng naøng choåi daäy, ñi theo naøng, muoán laáy lôøi ngoït caûm loøng naøng, ñaëng daãn naøng veà nhaø mình. Ngöôøi coù ñem theo moät ñaày tôù vaø hai con löøa. Naøng môøi ngöôøi vaøo nhaø cha mình. Cha naøng thaáy ngöôøi ñeán, ra ñoùn röôùc caùch vui möøng.

19:4 And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

19:4 Oâng gia ngöôøi, laø cha cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø treû, caàm ngöôøi laïi, vaø ngöôøi ôû nhaø oâng gia trong ba ngaøy, cuøng aên uoáng, vaø nguû ñeâm taïi ñoù.

19:5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort yours heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.

19:5 Ngaøy thöù tö, hoï daäy sôùm, vaø khi ngöôøi Leâ-vi söûa soaïn ñi ra, cha cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø treû beøn noùi cuøng reå mình raèng: Haõy duøng moät mieáng baùnh ñaëng ñôõ loøng con, roài sau caùc ngöôi seõ ñi.

19:6 And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray you, and tarry all night, and let yours heart be merry.

19:6 Vaäy, vôï choàng ngoài aên uoáng cuøng nhau. Cha cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø treû noùi cuøng ngöôøi choàng raèng: Con haõy ñònh ôû laïi ñeâm nay nöõa, cho loøng con vui möøng!

19:7 And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.

19:7 Ngöôøi Leâ-vi daäy sôùm ñaëng ñi, nhöng oâng gia eùp naøi quaù, ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi trôû laïi, vaø ôû ñeâm ñoù nöõa.

19:8 And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort yours heart, I pray you. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.

19:8 Ngaøy thöù naêm, ngöôøi daäy sôùm ñaëng ra ñi, thì cha ngöôøi ñôøn baø treû noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Xin con haõy duøng böõa, naùn ôû laïi cho ñeán xeá chieàu. Roài vôï choàng ngoài laïi aên.

19:9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draws toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day grows to an end, lodge here, that yours heart may be merry; and tomorrow get you early on your way, that you may go home.

19:9 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi Leâ-vi ñöùng daäy ñaëng ñi cuøng vôï beù vaø toâi tôù mình; nhöng oâng gia, laø cha cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø treû, noùi raèng: Naày, ngaøy ñaõ xeá, chieàu haàu gaàn, cha xin hai con haõy ôû laïi ñaây. Ngaøy ñaõ xeá, haõy ôû ñeâm laïi ñaây, cho loøng con vui möøng. Ngaøy mai, hai con seõ thöùc daäy sôùm, ñaëng leân ñöôøng, vaø trôû veà nhaø con.

19:10 But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came opposite to Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.

19:10 Nhöng ngöôøi choàng khoâng muoán ôû ñeâm, beøn ñöùng daäy vaø ñi. Ngöôøi ñeán taïi tröôùc Gieâ-bu, töùc Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vôùi hai con löøa thaéng; cuõng coù vôï beù theo ngöôøi.

19:11 And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray you, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.

19:11 Khi hai ngöôøi ñeán gaàn Gieâ-bu, ngaøy ñaõ xeá chieàu roài. Keû toâi tôù thöa cuøng chuû raèng: Heø, chuùng ta haõy xaây qua ñaëng vaøo trong thaønh Gieâ-bu naày, vaø nguû ñeâm taïi ñoù.

19:12 And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside here into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.

19:12 Chuû ñaùp raèng: Chuùng ta khoâng vaøo trong moät thaønh keû ngoaïi bang, laø nôi chaúng coù ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân; chuùng ta seõ ñi ñeán Ghi-beâ -a.

19:13 And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.

19:13 Ngöôøi laïi noùi cuøng keû ñaày tôù raèng: Heø, ta haõy raùn ñi ñeán moät nôi naøo ôû ñaèng tröôùc, hoaëc Ghi-beâ -a hay laø Ra-ma, ñaëng nguû ñeâm taïi ñoù.

19:14 And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.

19:14 Vaäy, chuùng cöù ñi ñöôøng; khi ñeán gaàn Ghi-beâ -a, laø thaønh thuoäc veà Beân-gia-min, thì maët trôøi laën roài.

19:15 And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.

19:15 Chuùng beøn queïo vaøo thaønh Ghi-beâ -a ñaëng nguû ñeâm taïi ñoù. Vaäy, chuùng ñi vaøo, ngoài taïi ngoaøi phoá chôï cuûa thaønh; vì khoâng ai tieáp vaøo nhaø mình ñaëng cho ôû ban ñeâm.

19:16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.

19:16 Vaû, coù moät ngöôøi giaø laøm vieäc ôû ngoaøi ñoàng, buoåi chieàu trôû veà. Ngöôøi aáy voán queâ ôû nuùi Eùp-ra-im, ñöông kieàu nguï taïi Ghi-beâ -a; song daân cö thaønh naày laø ngöôøi Beân-gia-min.

19:17 And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a travelling man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Where go you? and whence come you?

19:17 Ngöôøi giaø ngöôùc maét leân, thaáy keû haønh khaùch naày treân phoá chôï cuûa thaønh, beøn hoûi raèng: Ngöôi ôû ñaâu ñeán vaø ñi ñaâu?

19:18 And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receives me to house.

19:18 Ngöôøi haønh khaùch ñaùp raèng: Chuùng toâi ñeán töø Beát-leâ-hem ôû xöù Giu-ña, ñöông ñi veà nôi goùc xa cuûa nuùi Eùp-ra-im, laø nôi sanh toâi ra. Toâi ñaõ ñi ñeán Beát-leâ-hem ôû xöù Giu-ña, vaø nay toâi ñeán nhaø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, nhöng chaúng coù ai tieáp toâi vaøo nhaø mình!

19:19 Yet there is both straw and animal food for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for your handmaid, and for the young man which is with your servants: there is no lack of any thing.

19:20 And the old man said, Peace be with you; howsoever let all your wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.

19:20 Nguôøi giaø noùi: Bình an cho ngöôi! Ta laõnh lo lieäu moïi ñieàu ngöôi coù caàn duøng; ngöôi seõ chaúng nguû ñeâm taïi phoá chôï ñaâu.

19:21 So he brought him into his house, and gave animal food unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

19:21 Ngöôøi giaø beøn môøi ngöôøi vaøo nhaø, vaø cho löøa aên; caùc haønh khaùch röûa chôn, roài aên vaø uoáng.

19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into yours house, that we may know him.

19:22 Khi chuùng ñöông aên vui veû, coù nhöõng ngöôøi trong thaønh, laø keû gian taø, vaây nhaø, ñoäng cöûa vaø noùi cuøng oâng giaø, laø chuû nhaø, raèng: Haõy ñem ngöôøi ñaõ vaøo nhaø ngöôi ñoù ra, cho chuùng ta bieát haén.

19:23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man has come into mine house, do not this folly.

19:23 Chuû nhaø ra ñeán cuøng chuùng, maø raèng: Hôõi anh em, ñöøng, xin chôù laøm ñieàu aùc; vì ngöôøi naày ñaõ vaøo nhaø toâi, chôù phaïm söï sæ nhuïc naày.

19:24 Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble all of you them, and do with them what seems good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

19:24 Kìa, con gaùi ta coøn ñoàng trinh, vaø vôï beù ngöôøi kia; ta seõ daãn chuùng noù ra ngoaøi cho anh em, anh em seõ laêng nhuïc hoï, ñaõi hoï tuøy yù thích anh em; nhöng vôùi ngöôøi naày, chôù phaïm ñieàu sæ nhuïc döôøng aáy.

19:25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they had sexual contact with her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

19:25 Song nhöõng keû ñoù khoâng khöùng nghe ngöôøi. Ngöôøi khaùch beøn baét vôï beù ngöôøi daãn ra ngoaøi cho chuùng, chuùng bieát naøng, laêng nhuïc naøng troïn ñeâm cho ñeán saùng; roài ñuoåi naøng veà raïng ñoâng.

19:26 Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

19:26 Gaàn saùng, ngöôøi ñôøn baø ñeán ngaõ taïi cöûa nhaø choàng naøng troï, vaø naèm taïi ñoù cho ñeán saùng ngaøy.

19:27 And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.

19:27 Saùng ñeán, choàng naøng choåi daäy, môû cöûa nhaø ra, ñaëng leân ñöôøng mình; kìa, thaáy vôï beù mình naèm saûi tröôùc cöûa nhaø, hai tay ôû treân ngaïch.

19:28 And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and got him unto his place.

19:28 Ngöôøi noùi cuøng naøng raèng: Haõy ñöùng daäy, chuùng ta seõ ñi. Song naøng chaúng traû lôøi. Ngöôøi beøn ñeå naøng treân löøa mình, leân ñöôøng vaø trôû veà nhaø.

19:29 And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

19:29 Ñeán nhaø roài, ngöôøi laáy moät con dao, naém vôï beù mình, chaët töøng tay töøng chôn ra möôøi hai ñoaïn, gôûi ñi khaép ñòa phaän Y-sô-ra-eân.

19:30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.

19:30 Heát thaûy ai thaáy söï ñoù, ñeàu noùi raèng: Töø khi daân Y-sô-ra-eân ra khoûi xöù EÂ-díp-toâ cho ñeán ngaøy nay, ngöôøi ta chöa heà laøm hoaëc thaáy vieäc nhö vaäy! Khaù nghó ñeán ñieàu ñoù, baøn luaän nhau, vaø giaûng yù ra.

20:1 Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh.

20:1 Baáy giôø, caû daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu keùo ra ñi, töø Ñan cho ñeán Beâ -e-seâ-ba, vaø cho ñeán xöù Ga-la-aùt; hoäi chuùng tuï hieäp laïi nhö moät ngöôøi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, taïi Mích-ba.

20:2 And the chief of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.

20:2 Nhöõng quan tröôûng cuûa caû daân söï, töùc laø cuûa caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, ñeàu ra maét trong hoäi cuûa daân Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi: coù boán traêm ngaøn lính boä, coù taøi caàm göôm.

20:3 (Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpeh.) Then said the children of Israel, Tell us, how was this wickedness?

20:3 Vaû, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ñaõ hay raèng daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi leân Mích-ba. Daân Y-sô-ra-eân noùi: Haõy thuaät laïi cho bieát toäi aùc naày ñaõ phaïm laøm sao?

20:4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongs to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.

20:4 Ngöôøi Leâ-vi, choàng cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø bò gieát, ñaùp raèng: Toâi coù vaøo thaønh Ghi-beâ -a, laø thaønh cuûa Beân-gia-min, vôùi vôï beù toâi, ñaëng nguû ñeâm taïi ñoù.

20:5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.

20:5 Nhöng daân Ghi-beâ -a daáy leân cuøng toâi, ñöông ban ñeâm vaây nhaø toâi ôû; chuùng ñaõ toan gieát toâi, coù haønh hung cuøng vôï beù toâi, vaø noù cheát vì côù ñoù.

20:6 And I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.

20:6 Ñoaïn, toâi naém laáy thaây vôï beù toâi, chaët noù ra töøng ñoaïn, gôûi ñi khaép ñòa phaän cuûa saûn nghieäp Y-sô-ra-eân; vì chuùng noù coù phaïm moät toäi troïng, moät söï sæ nhuïc trong Y-sô-ra-eân.

20:7 Behold, all of you are all children of Israel; give here your advice and counsel.

20:7 Naày, heát thaûy daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù maët ñaây; anh em haõy baøn luaän nhau vaø lieäu ñònh phaûi laøm theá naøo ñaây.

20:8 And all the people arose as one man, saying, We will not any of us go to his tent, neither will we any of us turn into his house.

20:8 Caû daân söï ñöùng daäy nhö moät ngöôøi maø raèng: Chaúng ai trong chuùng ta seõ trôû laïi traïi mình; khoâng ai ruùt veà nhaø mình.

20:9 But now this shall be the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up by lot against it;

20:9 Baây giôø, naày laø ñieàu chuùng ta phaûi xöû cho Ghi-beâ -a: Chuùng ta seõ ñi leân ñaùnh thaønh ñoù theo thöù töï cuûa thaêm nhöùt ñònh.

20:10 And we will take ten men of an hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and an hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victual for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.

20:10 Trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, chuùng ta phaûi laáy möôøi ngöôøi trong moät traêm, traêm ngöôøi trong moät ngaøn, ngaøn ngöôøi trong moät muoân. Chuùng ta seõ ñi tìm löông thöïc cho daân söï; roài khi trôû veà, ngöôøi ta phaûi xöû Ghi-beâ -a cuûa Beân-gia-min, tuøy theo söï sæ nhuïc maø thaønh aáy ñaõ phaïm nôi Y-sô-ra-eân.

20:11 So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.

20:11 Aáy vaäy, heát thaûy ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân nhoùm nhau haõm ñaùnh thaønh ñoù, hieäp laïi nhö chæ moät ngöôøi.

20:12 And the tribes of Israel sent men through all the tribe of Benjamin, saying, What wickedness is this that is done among you?

20:12 Caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân sai söù giaû ñeán cuøng chi phaùi Beân-gia-min maø noùi raèng: Toäi aùc ñaõ phaïm taïi trong caùc ngöôi laø gì?

20:13 Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.

20:13 Baây giôø, haõy noäp cho chuùng ta nhöõng ngöôøi gian taø cuûa Ghi-beâ -a, ñeå chuùng ta xöû töû chuùng noù, vaø dieät ñieàu aùc khoûi giöõa Y-sô-ra-eân. Nhöng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min khoâng khöùng nghe tieáng cuûa anh em mình, laø daân Y-sô-ra-eân,

20:14 But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel.

20:14 beøn ra khoûi thaønh hoï, vaø nhoùm hieäp taïi Ghi-beâ -a ñaëng giao chieán cuøng daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

20:15 And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.

20:15 Trong ngaøy ñoù, ngöôøi ta tu boä ngöôøi Beân-gia-min töø caùc thaønh maø ñeán; soá laø hai muoân saùu ngaøn ngöôøi nam, ñeàu coù taøi caàm göôm, khoâng keå daân Ghi-beâ -a, ñöôïc soá baûy traêm ngöôøi tinh-binh.

20:16 Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss.

20:16 Trong caû daân söï aáy coù baûy traêm ngöôøi tinh-binh thuaän tay taû. Heát thaûy nhöõng keû ñoù coù taøi duøng traønh neùm ñaù truùng moät sôïi toùc, maø chaúng heà sai traät.

20:17 And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these were men of war.

20:17 Ngöôøi ta cuõng tu boä nhöõng ngöôøi nam Y-sô-ra-eân, khoâng keå ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, thì soá ñöôïc boán möôi vaïn ngöôøi, coù taøi caàm göôm, thaûy ñeàu laø chieán só.

20:18 And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.

20:18 Vaäy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi leân Ghi-beâ -a vaø caàu vaán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi nhö vaày: Ai trong chuùng toâi phaûi leân tröôùc ñaëng giao chieán cuøng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp: Giu-ña seõ ñi leân tröôùc.

20:19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against Gibeah.

20:19 Vöøa saùng ngaøy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân keùo ñi vaø ñoùng traïi gaàn Ghi-beâ -a.

20:20 And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at Gibeah.

20:20 Ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ra ñaùnh ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, daøn traän cuøng chuùng taïi tröôùc Ghi-beâ -a.

20:21 And the children of Benjamin came forth out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty and two thousand men.

20:21 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min beøn ra khoûi Ghi-beâ -a, vaø trong ngaøy ñoù, gieát hai muoân ngaøn ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân, naèm chaät ñaát.

20:22 And the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.

20:22 Daân Y-sô-ra-eân laïi phaán chí, daøn traän môùi taïi choã mình ñaõ daøn ngaøy thöù nhöùt.

20:23 (And the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until even, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up again to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother? And the LORD said, Go up against him.)

20:23 Daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi leân khoùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va cho ñeán chieàu toái, caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø raèng: Toâi phaûi ñi giao chieán laïi cuøng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, laø anh em cuûa toâi, chaêng? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp: Haõy leân ñaùnh noù!

20:24 And the children of Israel came near against the children of Benjamin the second day.

20:24 Ngaøy thöù nhì ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân keùo tôùi ñaùnh ngöôi Beân-gia-min.

20:25 And Benjamin went forth against them out of Gibeah the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew the sword.

20:25 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min cuõng ra Ghi-beâ -a noäi ngaøy ñoù, ñaùnh daân Y-sô-ra-eân, laïi gieát naèm saûi döôùi ñaát moät muoân taùm ngaøn ngöôøi cuûa daân aáy, thaûy ñeàu coù taøi caàm göôm.

20:26 Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept, and sat there before the LORD, and fasted that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

20:26 Baáy giôø, heát thaûy ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân vaø caû daân söï ñeàu ñi leân Beâ-teân, khoùc vaø ñöùng taïi ñoù tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, cöõ aên trong ngaøy aáy cho ñeán chieàu toái, roài daâng cuûa leã thieâu vaø cuûa leã thuø aân taïi tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

20:27 And the children of Israel enquired of the LORD, (for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

20:27 Ñöông khi aáy, hoøm giao öôùc cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû taïi ñoù, coù Phi-neâ -a, con trai EÂ-leâ -a-sa, chaùu A-roân, phuïc söï tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vaäy, daân Y-sô-ra-eân caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø raèng:

20:28 And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up; in order to morrow I will deliver them into yours hand.

20:28 Toâi coøn phaûi giao chieán cuøng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, anh em toâi, hay laø toâi phaûi ñình laïi? Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùp: Haõy ñi leân, vì ngaøy mai ta seõ phoù chuùng noù vaøo tay caùc ngöôi.

20:29 And Israel set hidden attackers in wait round about Gibeah.

20:29 Y-sô-ra-eân beøn phuïc binh chung quanh Ghi-beâ -a.

20:30 And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in array against Gibeah, as at other times.

20:30 Ngaøy thöù ba, daân Y-sô-ra-eân ñi leân, ñaùnh ngöôøi Beân-gia-min vaø daøn traän cuøng Ghi-beâ -a nhö caùc laàn tröôùc.

20:31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to strike of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goes up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.

20:31 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ra ñoùn daân Y-sô-ra-eân, bò duï xa thaønh. Y nhö hai laàn tröôùc chuùng khôûi ñaùnh vaø gieát maáy ngöôøi cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân, chöøng ba möôi ngöôøi, taïi trong hai con ñöôøng traûi qua ñoàng baèng ñi leân, moät ngaû tôùi Beâ-teân, vaø ngaû kia tôùi Ghi-beâ -a.

20:32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.

20:32 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min noùi raèng: Kìa, chuùng noù bò baïi tröôùc maët chuùng ta nhö laàn tröôùc. Nhöng daân Y-sô-ra-eân noùi: Chuùng ta haõy chaïy troán, duï chuùng noù ra caùch xa thaønh, ñeán trong caùc ñöôøng caùi.

20:33 And all the men of Israel rose up out of their place, and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the hidden attackers in wait of Israel came forth out of their places, even out of the meadows of Gibeah.

20:33 Heát thaûy ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân beøn boû choã mình ñöùng, daøn traän taïi Ba-anh-Tha-ma, vaø ñaïo binh phuïc cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ phuïc cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaâm saàm ra khoûi choã phuïc mình taïi ñoàng baèng Ghi-beâ -a.

20:34 And there came against Gibeah ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they knew not that evil was near them.

20:34 Nhö vaäy, xaûy coù moät muoân tinh binh cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ phuïc tröôùc taïi Ghi-beâ -a xoâng tôùi, ñaùnh giaëc raát döõ doäi; nhöng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min khoâng bieát tai hoïa haõm laáy mình.

20:35 And the LORD stroke Benjamin before Israel: and the children of Israel destroyed of the Benjamites that day twenty and five thousand and an hundred men: all these drew the sword.

20:35 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaùnh baïi ngöôøi chi phaùi Beân-gia-min tröôùc maët daân Y-sô-ra-eân; vaø trong ngaøy ñoù, daân Y-sô-ra-eân gieát hai muoân naêm ngaøn moát ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, heát thaûy ñeàu coù taøi caàm göôm.

20:36 So the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the hidden attackers in wait which they had set beside Gibeah.

20:36 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min thaáy roõ mình bò baïi. Vaû, ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ nhöôøng böôùc cho ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, vì chuùng tin caäy nôi söï phuïc binh mình ôû gaàn Ghi-beâ -a.

20:37 And the hidden attackers in wait hasted, and rushed upon Gibeah; and the hidden attackers in wait drew themselves along, and stroke all the city with the edge of the sword.

20:37 Nhöõng binh ñaõ phuïc, laät ñaät xoâng haõm Ghi-beâ -a, ñi tôùi laáy göôm gieát heát thaûy caû ngöôøi ôû thaønh.

20:38 Now there was an appointed sign between the men of Israel and the hidden attackers in wait, that they should make a great flame with smoke rise up out of the city.

20:38 Ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ heïn moät daáu hieäu vôùi nhöõng binh phuïc, laø nhöõng phuïc binh phaûi laøm cho moät ngoïn khoùi ñen caát leân khoûi thaønh.

20:39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to strike and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.

20:39 Vaäy, daân Y-sô -r-eân ñaõ thoái laïi trong traän, coøn ngöôøi Beân-gia-min khôûi ñaùnh vaø gieát chöøng ba möôi ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân. Chuùng noùi: Quaû thaät chuùng noù bò thua tröôùc maët chuùng ta nhö laàn tröôùc!

20:40 But when the flame began to arise up out of the city with a pillar of smoke, the Benjamites looked behind them, and, behold, the flame of the city ascended up to heaven.

20:40 Nhöng khi truï khoùi khôûi bay leân khoûi thaønh, ngöôøi Beân-gia-min nhìn xem laïi ñaèng sau, thaáy caû thaønh ñeàu coù khoùi bay leân trôøi.

20:41 And when the men of Israel turned again, the men of Benjamin were amazed: for they saw that evil was come upon them.

20:41 Baáy giôø, daân Y-sô-ra-eân trôû laïi, coøn nhöng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min laáy laøm kinh haõi, vì thaáy tai hoïa ñaõ haõm aùp mình.

20:42 Therefore they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the wilderness; but the battle overtook them; and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the midst of them.

20:42 Chuùng xaây löng laïi tröôùc maët daân Y-sô-ra-eân, chaïy troán veà phía ñoàng vaéng; nhöng ñaïo binh Y-sô-ra-eân theo rieát gaàn, vaø nhöõng keû ra khoûi thaønh ñeàu bò gieát lieàn.

20:43 Thus they enclosed the Benjamites round about, and chased them, and trode them down with ease opposite to Gibeah toward the sunrising.

20:43 Chuùng vaây phuû ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, ñuoåi theo vaø chaø ñaïp hoï taïi nôi hoï döøng laïi, cho ñeán choã ñoái ngang Ghi-beâ -a, veà höôùng maët trôøi moïc.

20:44 And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valour.

20:44 Nhö vaäy, moät muoân taùm ngaøn ngöôøi Beân-gia-min phaûi ngaõ, thaûy ñeàu laø ngöôøi doõng só.

20:45 And they turned and fled toward the wilderness unto the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways five thousand men; and pursued hard after them unto Gidom, and slew two thousand men of them.

20:45 Trong soá ngöôøi xaây löng chaïy troán veà phía ñoàng vaéng, höôùng hoøn ñaù Rim-moân, thì daân Y-sô-ra-eân coøn gieát doïc ñöôøng naêm ngaøn ngöôøi nöõa, ñoaïn theo rieát gaàn ñeán Ghi-beâ-om thì gieát hai ngaøn ngöôøi.

20:46 So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valour.

20:46 Vaäy, soá toång coäng ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ngaõ cheát trong ngaøy ñoù laø hai muoân naêm ngaøn ngöôøi coù taøi caàm göôm, vaø thaûy ñeàu laø ngöôøi doõng só.

20:47 But six hundred men turned and fled to the wilderness unto the rock Rimmon, and abode in the rock Rimmon four months.

20:47 Laïi coù saùu traêm ngöôøi xaây löng chaïy troán veà phía ñoàng vaéng, ñeán hoøn ñaù Rim-moân vaø ôû ñoù boán thaùng.

20:48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and stroke them with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to.

20:48 Ñoaïn, daân Y-sô-ra-eân trôû laïi ñaùnh ngöôøi Beân-gia-min, duøng göôm gieát heát thaûy ngöôøi ta ôû trong thaønh, suùc vaät vaø heát thaûy vaät naøo gaëp ñöôïc; laïi heã gaëp thaønh naøo, thì chaâm löûa ñoát noù.

 Quan xet - Judges

21:1 Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife.

21:1 Taïi Mích-ba, daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù laäp lôøi theà naày: Chaúng ai trong chuùng ta seõ gaû con gaùi mình cho moät ngöôøi Beân-gia-min.

21:2 And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore;

21:5 And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

21:5 Vaû, daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù theà lôøi troïng theå naày: Keû naøo chaúng ñeán ra maét Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va taïi Mích-ba, seõ haún bò xöû töû! Neân hoï beøn hoûi: Trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân coù ngöôøi naøo khoâng ñeán hoäi ñoàng tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chaêng?

21:6 And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.

21:6 Song daân Y-sô-ra-eân aên naên veà ñieàu xaûy ñeán cho chi phaùi Beân-gia-min, anh em mình, maø raèng: Ngaøy nay, moät chi phaùi ñaõ truaát khoûi Y-sô-ra-eân.

21:7 How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?

21:7 Chuùng ta seõ laøm sao ñaëng coù ngöôøi nöõ cho nhöõng keû coøn soáng, vì chuùng ta ñaõ nhôn danh Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va theà raèng khoâng gaû moät con gaùi naøo cuûa chuùng ta cho hoï?

21:8 And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly.

21:8 Vaäy, chuùng noùi raèng: Trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân, coù ai chaúng ñeán ra maét tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va taïi Mích-ba chaêng? Vaû, töø Gia-be trong xöù Ga-la-aùt, chaúng coù ai ñeán vaøo traïi quaân taïi hoäi ñoàng;

21:9 For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead there.

21:9 vì khi tu boä daân, thì chaúng thaáy coù ngöôøi naøo cuûa daân Gia-be ôû xöù Ga-la-aùt.

21:10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiant, and commanded them, saying, Go and strike the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.

21:10 Hoäi chuùng beøn sai ñeán Gia-be moät muoân hai ngaøn ngöôøi maïnh meõ hôn heát, vaø truyeàn lònh raèng: Haõy ñi, duøng göôm gieát daân cö cuûa Gia-be ôû xöù Ga-la-aùt, luoân vôùi ngöôøi nöõ vaø con treû.

21:11 And this is the thing that all of you shall do, All of you shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that has lain by man.

21:11 Naày laø ñieàu caùc ngöôi seõ laøm: Haõy taän dieät moïi ngöôøi nam luoân vôùi moïi ngöôøi nöõ ñaõ laøm baïn moät ngöôøi nam.

21:12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.

21:12 Chuùng tìm ñöôïc trong daân Gia-be ôû xöù Ga-la-aùt, boán traêm con gaùi ñoàng trinh chöa laøm baïn vôùi ngöôøi nam, beøn daãn chuùng noù veà traïi quaân taïi Si-loâ, ôû trong xöù Ca-na-na.

21:13 And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them.

21:13 Toaøn hoäi chuùng sai söù ñeán ngöôøi Beân-gia-min ruùt ôû nôi hoøn ñaù Rim-moân ñaëng giaûng hoøa cho chuùng.

21:14 And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so they sufficed them not.

21:14 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min beøn trôû veà; daân Y-sô-ra-eân gaû cho chuùng nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ mình ñaõ dung thöù, ñeå coøn soáng trong soá nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ Gia-be ôû xöù Ga-la-aùt; nhöng khoâng ñuû cho moïi ngöôøi.

21:15 And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

21:15 Vaäy, daân söï aên naên veà vieäc Beân-gia-min, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù laøm khuyeát trong caùc chi phaùi Y-sô-ra-eân.

21:16 Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin?

21:16 Caùc tröôûng laõo cuûa hoäi chuùng noùi: Bôûi nhöõng ngöôøi nöõ cuûa chi phaùi Beân-gia-min bò tuyeät dieät, thì chuùng ta phaûi laøm sao ñaëng kieám vôï cho nhöõng ngöôøi coøn laïi?

21:17 And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.

21:17 Laïi tieáp raèng: Nhöõng ngöôøi coøn soáng seõ nhaän ñöôïc saûn nghieäp thuoäc veà Beân-gia-min, keûo moät chi phaùi bò truaát khoûi Y-sô-ra-eân chaêng.

21:18 Nevertheless we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that gives a wife to Benjamin.

21:18 song chuùng chaúng theá gaû con gaùi chuùng ta cho hoï ñöôïc, vì daân Y-sô-ra-eân coù laäp lôøi theà naày: Ñaùng ruûa saû cho keû naøo gaû moät ngöôøi vôï cho Beân-gia-min!

21:19 Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.

21:19 Vaäy, chuùng noùi: Kìa, taïi Si-loâ, ôû veà höôùng baéc Beâ-teân, phía ñoâng cuûa con ñöôøng ñi töø Beâ-teân leân Si-chem vaø phía nam Leâ-boâ-na, moãi naêm ngöôøi ta giöõ moät leã cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

21:20 Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;

21:20 Chuùng beøn khuyeân ngöôøi Beân-gia-min raèng: Haõy ñi phuïc trong vöôøn nho;

21:21 And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come all of you out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

21:21 heã khi thaáy caùc con gaùi cuûa Si-loâ ñi ra ñaëng muùa haùt raäp nhau, thì caùc ngöôi haõy ra khoûi vöôøn nho, roài moãi ngöôøi trong caùc ngöôi phaûi cöôùp laáy moät ngöôøi vôï trong boïn gaùi treû cuûa Si-loâ ñoù; ñoaïn, trôû veà xöù Beân-gia-min.

21:22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for all of you did not give unto them at this time, that all of you should be guilty.

21:22 Khi cha hay anh chuùng noù ñeán kieän cuøng chuùng ta, chuùng ta seõ ñaùp raèng: xin haõy laøm ôn cho chuùng toâi maø gaû chuùng noù cho hoï, vì trong giaëc giaõ naày, chuùng toâi khoâng theá cöôùi moät ngöôøi vôï cho moãi ngöôøi nam trong hoï. Laïi nöõa, chaúng phaûi chính caùc anh em ñaõ gaû chuùng noù cho hoï; vì neáu nhö vaäy, chaéc anh em phaûi maéc toäi.

21:23 And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.

21:23 Ngöôøi Beân-gia-min beøn laøm nhö vaäy; trong boïn ngöôøi nöõ muùa haùt, chuùng cöôùp laáy moät soá ngöôøi vôï baèng soá cuûa mình, roài ñi trôû veà saûn nghieäp mình. Chuùng xaây ñaép thaønh laïi, vaø ôû taïi ñoù.

21:24 And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance.

21:24 Baáy giôø, daân Y-sô-ra-eân ai naáy ñeàu trôû veà trong chi phaùi vaø hoï haøng mình; töø nôi ñoù moãi ngöôøi ñi veà saûn nghieäp mình.

21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

21:25 Ñöông luùc ñoù, khoâng coù vua trong Y-sô-ra-eân; ai naáy laøm theo yù mình laáy laøm phaûi.
