1:1 Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.

1:1 Sau khi A-haùp baêng haø, daân Moâ-aùp phaûn nghòch cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân.

1:2 And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.

1:2 A-cha-xia teù ngang qua song laàu mình taïi Sa-ma-ri vaø vì côù aáy mang bònh. Ngöôøi beøn sai söù giaû ñi, maø daën raèng: haõy ñi caàu vaán Ba-anh-Xeâ-buït, thaàn cuûa Eùc-roân, ñaëng cho bieát ta seõ laønh bònh naøy chaêng?

1:3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that all of you go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?

1:3 Nhöng thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn vôùi EÂ-li, ngöôøi Thi-seâ-be, raèng: Haõy choåi daäy, ñi leân ñoùn caùc söù giaû cuûa vua Sa-ma-ri, vaø noùi vôùi hoï raèng: Trong Y-sô-ra-eân haù khoâng coù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi sao, neân ngöôi ñi caàu vaán Ba-anh-Xeâ-buït, thaàn cuûa Eùc-roân?

1:4 Now therefore thus says the LORD, You shall not come down from that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed.

1:4 Bôûi côù ñoù, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôi seõ khoâng xuoáng khoûi giöôøng maø ngöôi ñaõ leân, nhöng haún seõ cheát. Ñoaïn, EÂ-li ñi.

1:5 And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are all of you now turned back?

1:5 Caùc söù giaû trôû veà cuøng A-cha-xia, ngöôøi hoûi raèng: Vì sao caùc ngöôi trôû veà?

1:6 And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, return unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that you send to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore you shall not come down from that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.

1:6 Chuùng thöa raèng: Coù moät ngöôøi ñi leân ñoùn chuùng toâi, vaø noùi vôùi chuùng toâi raèng: Haõy trôû veà cuøng vua ñaõ sai caùc ngöôi, vaø noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn nhö vaày: Trong Y-sô-ra-eân haù khoâng coù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi sao, neân ngöôi sai ñi caàu vaán Ba-anh-Xeâ-buït, thaàn cuûa Eùc-roân? Bôûi côù ñoù, ngöôi seõ khoâng xuoáng khoûi giöôøng maø ngöôi ñaõ leân, nhöng haún seõ cheát.

1:7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?

1:7 Vua beøn hoûi hoï raèng: Ngöôøi ñi leân ñoùn caùc ngöôi vaø noùi nhöõng lôøi aáy ra sao?

1:8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

1:8 Chuùng thöa: Ngöôøi ñoù maëc aùo loâng, vaø thaét löng baèng daây da. Vua noùi raèng: Aáy laø EÂ-li, ngöôøi Thi-seâ-be.

1:9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spoke unto him, You man of God, the king has said, Come down.

1:9 Vua beøn sai moät quan cai naêm möôi lính ñi vôùi naêm möôi lính mình leân cuøng EÂ-li Vaû, EÂ-li ñöông ngoài treân choùt goø. Quan cai noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vua ñoøi oâng xuoáng.

1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

1:10 Nhöng EÂ-li ñaùp cuøng quan cai naêm möôi lính raèng: Neáu ta laø ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, nguyeän löûa töø treân trôøi giaùng xuoáng thieâu ñoát ngöôi, luoân vôùi naêm möôi lính cuûa ngöôi ñi! Löûa töø treân trôøi lieàn giaùng xuoáng thieâu ñoát quan cai vaø naêm möôi lính cuûa ngöôøi.

1:11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus has the king said, Come down quickly.

1:11 A-cha-xia laïi sai ñeán EÂ-li moät quan cai naêm möôi lính khaùc ñi vôùi naêm möôi lính ngöôøi. Qua naøy noùi vôùi EÂ-li raèng:" Hôõi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vua phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy mau mau xuoáng.

1:12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

1:12 Nhöng EÂ-li ñaùp vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Neáu ta laø ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, nguyeän löûa töø treân trôøi giaùng xuoáng thieâu ñoát ngöôi vôùi naêm möôi lính cuûa ngöôi. Löûa cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi lieàn töø trôøi giaùng xuoáng thieâu ñoát quan cai vôùi naêm möôi lính cuûa ngöôøi.

1:13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray you, let my life, and the life of these fifty your servants, be precious in your sight.

1:13 A-cha-xia laïi sai moät quan cai naêm möôi lính ñi vôùi naêm möôi lính mình. Quan cai naøy leân ñeán, quì goái xuoáng tröôùc maët EÂ-li, caàu xin ngöôøi raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, xin oâng xem quí troïng maïng soáng cuûa toâi vaø maïng soáng cuûa naêm möôi ngöôøi naøy, laø keû toâi tôù oâng.

1:14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in your sight.

1:14 Kìa, löûa ñaõ giaùng töø trôøi, thieâu nuoát hai quan cai naêm möôi lính tröôùc, vaø naêm möôi lính cuûa hoï; nhöng baây giôø, xin xem maïng soáng toâi laø quí troïng tröôùc maët oâng.

1:15 And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

1:15 Thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va noùi cuøng EÂ-li raèng: Haõy ñi xuoáng vôùi ngöôøi, chôù sôï chi. Vaäy, EÂ-li choåi daäy ñi xuoáng vôùi quan cai ñeán cuøng vua.

1:16 And he said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Forasmuch as you have sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore you shall not come down off that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.

1:16 Ngöôøi noùi vôùi vua raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Bôûi vì ngöôi coù sai söù giaû ñeán caàu vaán Ba-anh-Xeâ-buït, thaàn cuûa Eùc-roân, (haù trong Y-sô-ra-eân chaúng coù Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeå caàu vaán sao?) neân ngöôi seõ khoâng xuoáng khoûi giöôøng ngöôi ñaõ treøo leân, vì ngöôi chaéc seõ quaû cheát.

1:17 So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his position in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.

1:17 Vaäy, A-cha-xia thaùc, theo nhö lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ caäy EÂ-li maø phaùn ra. Gioâ-ram keá vò ngöôøi, nhaèm naêm thöù nhì cuûa Gioâ-ram, con trai Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña; bôûi vì A-cha-xia khoâng coù con trai.

1:18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

2:1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

2:2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.

2:2 EÂ-li noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Ta xin ngöôi haõy ôû ñaây; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va sai ta ñi ñeán Beâ-teân. EÂ-li-seâ thöa vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng vaø chæ maïng soáng thaày maø theà raèng, toâi chaúng heà lìa khoûi thaày. Nhö vaäy, hai ngöôøi ñi xuoáng Beâ-teân.

2:3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Know you that the LORD will take away your master from your head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold all of you your peace.

2:3 Caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri ôû taïi Beâ-teân ñeán noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Anh coù bieát raèng ngaøy nay Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ caát thaày cuûa anh leân khoûi anh chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Phaûi, ta bieát; caùc ngöôi haõy laøm thinh ñi!

2:4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.

2:4 EÂ-li noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Ta xin ngöôi haõy ôû ñaây, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va sai ta ñi ñeán Gieâ-ri-coâ. EÂ-li-seâ laïi thöa raèng: Toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va maø theà raèng, toâi chaúng heà lìa khoûi thaày. Nhö vaäy, hai ngöôøi ñi ñeán Gieâ-ri-coâ.

2:5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Know you that the LORD will take away your master from your head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold all of you your peace.

2:5 Caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri ôû taïi Gieâ-ri-coâ ñeán gaàn EÂ-li-seâ, noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Anh coù bieát raèng ngaøy nay Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va seõ caát thaày cuûa anh leân khoûi anh chaêng? Ngöôøi ñaùp: Phaûi, ta bieát; caùc ngöôi haõy laøm thinh ñi!

2:6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray you, here; for the LORD has sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they two went on.

2:6 EÂ-li noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng Ta xin ngöôi haõy ôû ñaây, vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va sai ta ñi ñeán Gioâ-ñanh. EÂ-li-seâ thöa raèng: Toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng vaø chæ maïng soáng thaày maø theà raèng, toâi chaúng heà lìa khoûi thaày. Nhö vaäy, hai ngöôøi cöù ñi vôùi nhau.

2:7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view far off: and they two stood by Jordan.

2:7 Coù naêm möôi ngöôøi trong caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri ñi theo, ñöùng caùch xa ñoái ngang Gioâ-ñanh; coøn EÂ-li vaø EÂ-li-seâ ñöùng laïi taïi meù soâng.

2:8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and stroke the waters, and they were divided here and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

2:8 EÂ-li beøn laáy aùo tôi mình, cuoán laïi, ñaäp treân nöôùc; nöôùc beøn reõ ra hai beân, vaø hai ngöôøi ñeàu ñi ngang qua treân ñaát khoâ.

2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you, before I be taken away from you. And Elisha said, I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.

2:9 Khi ñi qua roài, EÂ-li noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Haõy xin ñieàu ngöôi muoán ta laøm cho ngöôi, tröôùc khi ta ñöôïc caát leân khoûi ngöôi. EÂ-li-seâ thöa raèng: Nguyeàn xin thaàn cuûa thaày caûm ñoäng toâi ñöôïc boäi phaàn.

2:10 And he said, You have asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so unto you; but if not, it shall not be so.

2:10 EÂ-li noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Ngöôi caàu xin moät söï khoù. Song neáu ngöôi thaáy ta luùc ta ñöôïc caát leân khoûi ngöôi, aét seõ ñöôïc nhö lôøi baèng chaúng, thì khoâng ñöôïc.

2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

2:11 Hai ngöôøi cöù vöøa ñi vöøa noùi vôùi nhau, kìa, coù moät caùi xe löûa vaø ngöïa löûa phaân reõ hai ngöôøi; EÂ-li leân trôøi trong moät côn gioù loác.

2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

2:12 EÂ-li-seâ nhìn thaáy, beøn la leân raèng: Cha toâi oâi! cha toâi oâi! laø xe vaø lính kî cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân! Ñoaïn, EÂ-li-seâ khoâng coøn thaáy ngöôøi nöõa; roài ngöôøi naém aùo mình xeù ra laøm hai maûnh.

2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

2:13 EÂ-li-seâ beøn laáy caùi aùo tôi ñaõ ôû nôi mình EÂ-li rôi xuoáng, trôû veà, ñöùng taïi treân meù Gioâ-ñanh.

2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and stroke the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted here and thither: and Elisha went over.

2:14 Ngöôøi laáy caùi aùo tôi ñaõ ôû nôi mình EÂ-li rôi xuoáng, ñaäp nöôùc, vaø noùi raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa EÂ-li ôû ñaâu? Khi ngöôøi ñaõ ñaäp nöôùc roài, nöôùc beøn reõ ra hai beân, vaø EÂ-li-seâ ñi ngang qua.

2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah does rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

2:15 Khi caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri ôû Gieâ-ri-coâ ñoái ngang Gioâ-ñanh, thaáy EÂ-li-seâ, thì noùi raèng: Thaàn EÂ-li ñoå treân EÂ-li-seâ. Hoï ñeán ñoùn ngöôøi, saáp mình xuoáng ñaát tröôùc maët ngöôøi,

2:16 And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master: lest possibly the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, All of you shall not send.

2:16 vaø noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Taïi ñaây, giöõa caùc toâi tôù thaày, coù naêm möôi ngöôøi maïnh daïn; haõy cho pheùp hoï ñi tìm chuû thaày; coù leõ Thaàn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñem ngöôøi ñi, neùm treân nuùi naøo hay laø trong truõng naøo chaêng? EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp: Chôù sai hoï ñi.

2:17 And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

2:17 Nhöng chuùng naøi eùp ngöôøi, ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi xaáu hoå, beøn noùi raèng: Haõy sai hoï ñi ñi. Chuùng lieàn sai naêm möôi ngöôøi ñi tìm EÂ-li trong ba ngaøy, maø tìm chaúng ñaëng.

2:18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

2:18 Chuùng trôû veà, EÂ-li-seâ vaãn ôû taïi Gieâ-ri-coâ; ngöôøi beøn noùi vôùi hoï raèng: Ta haù chaúng baûo caùc ngöôi chôù coù ñi sao?

2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray you, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees: but the water is nil, and the ground barren.

2:19 Daân cö cuûa Gieâ-ri-coâ noùi cuøng EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Choã xaây caát thaønh naøy toát laém y nhö chuùa toâi thaáy; nhöng nöôùc thì ñoäc vaø ñaát thì chai.

2:20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

2:20 Ngöôøi ñaùp: Haõy ñem cho ta moät caùi bình môùi, vaø ñöïng muoái ôû trong. Chuùng ñem bình ñeán cho ngöôøi.

2:21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus says the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

2:21 Ngöôøi beøn ñi ñeán nguoàn nöôùc, ñoå muoái xuoáng nöôùc, maø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta ñaõ chöõa laønh cho nöôùc naøy, töï noù seõ chaúng coøn gaây ra söï cheát, hoaëc söï naân nöõa.

2:22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke.

2:22 Vaäy, theo lôøi cuûa EÂ-li-seâ phaùn ra, nöôùc ñöôïc chöõa laønh coøn ñeán ngaøy nay.

2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, you bald head; go up, you bald head.

2:23 Töø ñoù, EÂ-li-seâ ñi leân Beâ-teân. Ñang ñi doïc ñöôøng, coù nhöõng treû con trai ôû thaønh ra nhaïo baùng ngöôøi, maø raèng: ÔÙ laõo troïc, haõy leân! ÔÙ laõo troïc, haõy leân!

2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

3:1 Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.

3:1 Gioâ-ram, con trai A-haùp, leân ngoâi laøm vua Y-sô-ra-eân taïi Sa-ma-ri, naêm thöù möôøi taùm ñôøi vua Gioâ-sa-phaùt vua Giu-ña, vaø cai trò möôøi hai naêm.

3:2 And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.

3:2 Ngöôøi laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, song khoâng gioáng nhö cha vaø meï ngöôøi; bôûi vì ngöôøi coù tröø boû töôïng thaàn Ba-anh maø cha ngöôøi ñaõ döïng leân.

3:3 Nevertheless he cleaved unto the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not from it.

3:3 Daàu vaäy, ngöôøi cuõng ham theo toäi loãi cuûa Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, con trai Neâ-baùt, töùc laø toäi ñaõ gaây cho Y-sô-ra-eân can phaïm. Ngöôøi chaúng heà chòu boû ñi.

3:4 And Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder, and rendered unto the king of Israel an hundred thousand lambs, and an hundred thousand rams, with the wool.

3:4 Vaû, Meâ-sa, vua daân Moâ-aùp, nuoâi nhieàu baày chieân, haèng naêm ngöôøi tieán coáng cho vua Y-sô-ra-eân moät traêm ngaøn chieân con, vaø traêm ngaøn chieân ñöïc chöa hôùt loâng.

3:5 But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

3:5 Nhöng xaûy ra khi A-haùp baêng haø, vua Moâ-aùp daáy nghòch cuøng vua Y-sô-ra-eân.

3:6 And king Jehoram went out of Samaria the same time, and numbered all Israel.

3:6 Baáy giôø, vua Gioâ-ram ñi ra khoûi Sa-ma-ri kieåm ñieåm caû Y-sô-ra-eân.

3:7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab has rebelled against me: will you go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as you are, my people as your people, and my horses as your horses.

3:7 Ngöôøi sai baùo vôùi Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, raèng: Daân Moâ-aùp ñaõ phaûn nghòch cuøng toâi. Vua coù muoán ñeán cuøng toâi giao chieán vôùi Moâ-aùp chaêng? Gioâ-sa-phaùt ñaùp raèng: Toâi seõ ñi; toâi nhö oâng, daân söï toâi nhö daân söï oâng, ngöïa toâi nhö ngöïa cuûa oâng.

3:8 And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.

3:8 Ngöôøi laïi tieáp: Chuùng ta seõ ñi leân ñöôøng naøo? Gioâ-ram ñaùp: Bôûi con ñöôøng cuûa ñoàng vaéng EÂ-ñoâm.

3:9 So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days' journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

3:9 Aáy vaäy, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, vua Giu-ña vaø vua EÂ-ñoâm ñoàng keùo ra, ñi voøng baûy ngaøy ñöôøng, ñoaïn hoï khoâng coù nöôùc cho ñaïo binh vaø suùc vaät theo.

3:10 And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the LORD has called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!

3:10 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân beøn noùi raèng: Than oâi! Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ goïi ba vua naøy ñeán ñaëng noäp vaøo tay Moâ-aùp.

3:11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.

3:11 Nhöng Gioâ-sa-phaùt hoûi: ÔÛ ñaây haù chaúng coù tieân tri naøo cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñeå chuùng ta nhôø ngöôøi maø caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chaêng? Moät ñaày tôù cuûa vua Y-sô-ra-eân thöa raèng: ÔÛ ñaây coù EÂ-li-seâ, con trai cuûa Sa-phaùt, laø keû ñaõ haàu vieäc EÂ-li.

3:12 And Jehoshaphat said, The word of the LORD is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

3:12 Gioâ-sa-phaùt tieáp: Lôøi phaùn cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va voán ôû nôi ngöôøi. Vaäy, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vaø vua EÂ-ñoâm, beøn ñi ñeán ngöôøi.

3:13 And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? get you to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD has called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

3:13 EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi vua Y-sô-ra-eân raèng: Vua vaø toâi coù can heä gì chaêng? Khaù ñi caàu vaán caùc tieân tri cuûa cha vaø meï vua. Vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñaùp raèng: Chaúng vaäy ñaâu; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ goïi ba vua naøy ñeán, ñaëng noäp vaøo tay Moâ-aùp.

3:14 And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

3:14 EÂ-li-seâ beøn noùi: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaïn quaân haèng soáng, toâi ñöùng tröôùc maët Ngaøi, maø theà raèng, neáu toâi khoâng kính neå Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, thì toâi chaúng xem vua ra sao, vaø cuõng khoâng thaáy ñeán nöõa.

3:15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

3:15 Nhöng baây giôø, haõy ñem ñeán cho toâi moät ngöôøi khaûy ñôøn. Trong luùc ngöôøi aáy khaûy ñôøn, thì tay cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ôû treân EÂ-li-seâ.

3:16 And he said, Thus says the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.

3:16 Ngöôøi noùi: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy ñaøo cho nhieàu haàm hoá khaép trong truõng naøy.

3:17 For thus says the LORD, All of you shall not see wind, neither shall all of you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that all of you may drink, both all of you, and your cattle, and your beasts.

3:17 Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ khoâng thaáy gioù, cuõng chaúng thaáy möa, theá maø truõng naøy seõ ñaày daãy nöôùc, vaø caùc ngöôi, ñeàu seõ uoáng nöôùc ñöôïc.

3:18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.

3:18 Nhöng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coi söï naøy laø nhoû moïn quaù: Ngaøi laïi seõ phoù luoân daân Moâ-aùp vaøo tay caùc ngöôi.

3:19 And all of you shall strike every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones.

3:19 Caùc ngöôi seõ phaù huûy heát thaûy nhöõng thaønh kieân coá, nhöõng thaønh thò töù, ñoán nhöõng caây toát, bít moïi suoái nöôùc, vaø laáy ñaù laøm hö haïi ñoàng ruoäng maøu môõ.

3:20 And it came to pass in the morning, when the food offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

3:20 Vaäy, buoåi saùng, nhaèm giôø ngöôøi ta daâng cuûa leã chay, thaáy nöôùc bôûi ñöôøng EÂ-ñoâm ñeán, vaø xöù beøn ñaày nhöõng nöôùc.

3:21 And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, they gathered all that were able to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the border.

3:21 Khi daân Moâ-aùp hay raèng caùc vua aáy ñi leân ñaùnh mình, thì nhoùm heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi coù theå nai nòch binh khí ñöôïc trôû leân, vaø ñöùng taïi bôø coõi xöù.

3:22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood:

3:22 Ngaøy sau daân Moâ-aùp choåi daäy thaät sôùm; khi maët trôøi moïc soi treân nöôùc, daân Moâ-aùp thaáy tröôùc maët mình nöôùc ñoû nhö maùu,

3:23 And they said, This is blood: the kings are surely slain, and they have smitten one another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.

3:23 thì la leân raèng: Aáy laø maùu! Chaéc ba vua aáy ñaõ tranh chieán nhau, ñaùnh gieát laãn nhau. Baây giôø, hôõi daân Moâ-aùp! haõy ñi cöôùp cuûa.

3:24 And when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and stroke the Moabites, so that they fled before them: but they went forward smiting the Moabites, even in their country.

3:24 Vaäy, chuùng ñi ñeán traïi quaân Y-sô-ra-eân; nhöng daân Y-sô-ra-eân choåi daäy, haõm ñaùnh daân Moâ-aùp.

3:25 And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; nevertheless the slingers went about it, and stroke it.

3:25 Hoï phaù huûy caùc thaønh, ai naáy laáy ñaù lieäng vaøo laáp caùc ñoàng ruoäng maøu môõ, bít caùc nguoàn nöôùc, vaø ñoán nhöõng caây toát. taïi Kieät-Ha-reâ-seát chæ coøn laïi nhöõng vaùch thaønh: Nhöõng quaân neùm ñaù cuõng vaây xoâng phaù caùc vaùch ñoù nöõa.

3:26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not.

3:26 Vua Moâ-aùp thaáy mình khoâng theá choáng noåi, beøn ñem theo mình baûy traêm ngöôøi caàm göôm, toan xoâng ñeán nôi vua EÂ-ñoâm; nhöng khoâng theá naøo ñöôïc.

3:27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his position, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.

3:27 Ngöôøi beøn baét thaùi töû, laø keû phaûi keá vò mình, daâng laøm cuûa leã thieâu taïi treân vaùch thaønh. Beøn coù côn thaïnh noä noåi phöøng cuøng Y-sô-ra-eân; thì hoï lìa khoûi vua Moâ-aùp, vaø trôû veà xöù mình.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

4:1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor has come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

4:1 Vaû, coù vôï cuûa moät ngöôøi moân ñoà cuûa caùc ñaáng tieân tri ñeán phaøn naøn cuøng EÂ-li-seâ, maø raèng: Keû toâi tôù oâng, laø choàng toâi, ñaõ qua ñôøi; vaø oâng bieát raèng keû toâi tôù oâng kính sôï Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vaû, chuû nôï ngöôøi ñeán toan baét hai ñöùa con toâi laøm toâi moïi.

4:2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for you? tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, Yours handmaid has not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

4:2 EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi naøng raèng: Ta phaûi laøm gì cho ngöôi? Haõy noùi cho ta bieát ngöôi coù vaät gì ôû nhaø? Naøng thöa raèng: Con ñoøi oâng chaúng coù gì trong nhaø hôn laø moät huõ daàu.

4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

4:3 Ngöôøi beøn tieáp raèng: Haõy ñi ra ngoaøi möôïn nhöõng bình khoâng cuûa caùc keû laùng gieàng ngöôi, chôù möôïn ít.

4:4 And when you are come in, you shall shut the door upon you and upon your sons, and shall pour out into all those vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full.

4:4 Khi ngöôi trôû veà, haõy vaøo nhaø vôùi caùc con ngöôi, ñoùng cöûa laïi, roái haõy ñoå daàu vaøo caùc bình ñoù; heã bình naøo ñaày thì ñeå noù rieâng ra.

4:5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

4:5 Naøng lieàn ñi khoûi ngöôøi, vaøo nhaø vôùi caùc con trai mình, ñoùng cöûa laïi; caùc con trai naøng ñem bình laïi, vaø naøng ñoå daàu vaøo.

4:6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

4:6 Khi caùc bình ñaõ ñaày, naøng noùi vôùi con trai mình raèng: Haõy ñem cho ta moät bình nöõa. Nhöng noù thöa raèng: Heát trôn bình roài. Daàu beøn ngöøng laïi.

4:7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt, and live you and your children of the rest.

4:7 Baáy giôø, naøng ñem vieäc aáy thuaät cho ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì ngöôøi noùi raèng: Haõy ñem baùn daàu maø traû nôï cuûa ngöôi; ñoaïn, ngöôi vaø caùc con trai ngöôi seõ laáy daàu coøn laïi maø nuoâi mình.

4:8 And it fell upon a certain day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as often as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

4:8 Moät ngaøy kia, EÂ-li-seâ ñi ngang qua ñaát Su-nem. ÔÛ ñoù, coù moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø giaøu, caàm ngöôøi ôû laïi aên böõa. Töø aáy, moãi khi ngöôøi ñi ngang qua ñoù, thì vaøo nhaø ngöôøi ñôøn baø naøy maø duøng böõa.

4:9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passes by us continually.

4:9 Ngöôøi noùi vôùi choàng mình raèng: Toâi bieát raèng ngöôøi naêng ñeán nhaø chuùng ta ñaây, laø moät ngöôøi thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

4:10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray you, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he shall turn in thither.

4:11 And it fell upon a certain day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.

4:11 Moät ngaøy kia, EÂ-li-seâ ñi ñeán Su-nem, troï nôi phoøng cao, vaø nguû taïi ñoù.

4:12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.

4:12 Ngöôøi noùi vôùi Gheâ-ha-xi, toâi tôù mình, raèng: Haõy goïi ngöôøi ñôøn baø Su-nem ñoù ñeán. Gheâ-ha-xi goïi naøng; naøng ra ñöùng tröôùc maët ngöôøi.

4:13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, you have been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for you? would you be spoken in order to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

4:13 Ngöôøi noùi vôùi toâi tôù mình raèng: Haõy noùi cuøng naøng raèng: Kìa, ngöôi ñaõ lo lieäu cho chuùng ta moïi ñieàu naøy; vaäy chuùng ta phaûi laøm gì cho ngöôi? Coù phaûi ngöôi muoán ta noùi giuøm cho ngöôi vôùi vua hay laø vôùi quan toång binh chaêng? Naøng thöa raèng: Toâi vaãn ôû giöõa daân söï toâi.

4:14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she has no child, and her husband is old.

4:14 EÂ-li-seâ laïi tieáp: Vaäy, chuùng ta phaûi laøm gì cho ngöôøi? Gheâ-ha-xi ñaùp raèng: AØ naøy, ngöôøi khoâng coù con trai, vaø choàng ngöôøi ñaõ giaø roài.

4:15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.

4:15 EÂ-li-seâ noùi raèng: Haõy goïi naøng. Gheâ-ha-xi goïi naøng, naøng ñeán ñöùng nôi cöûa.

4:16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, you shall embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, you man of God, do not lie unto yours handmaid.

4:16 EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi ngöôøi ñôøn baø raèng: Naêm tôùi, trong luùc naøy, ngöôi seõ aüm moät ñöùa con trai. Naøng thöa: Hôõi chuùa toâi, laø ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi! xin chôù noùi doái cuøng con ñoøi cuûa chuùa.

4:17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

4:17 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy thoï thai, vaø moät naêm sau, cuõng trong luùc ñoù, sanh moät ñöùa con trai, y nhö lôøi EÂ-li-seâ ñaõ noùi tröôùc cho naøng.

4:18 And when the child was grown, it fell upon a certain day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

4:18 Xaûy ra khi ñöùa treû lôùn leân, moät ngaøy kia noù ñi ñeán cha noù nôi nhöõng ngöôøi gaët luùa,

4:19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

4:19 maø noùi raèng: Ñaàu toâi ñau! ñaàu toâi ñau! Ngöôøi cha bieåu keû toâi tôù ñem noù veà cho meï noù.

4:20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

4:20 Ngöôøi toâi tôù ñem noù veà, giao cho meï noù; ñöùa treû ngoài treân ñaàu goái cuûa meï cho ñeán tröa, roài cheát.

4:21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

4:21 Naøng beøn ñi leân ñeå noù naèm treân giöôøng ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, roài ñi ra, ñoùng cöûa laïi.

4:22 And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray you, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

4:22 Keá ñoù, naøng keâu choàng mình maø noùi raèng: Toâi xin oâng caét cho toâi moät ñöùa ñaày tôù, vaø moät con löøa, ñeå toâi chaïy ñeán ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; ñoaïn, toâi seõ trôû veà.

4:23 And he said, Wherefore will you go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

4:23 Choàng hoûi naøng raèng: Ngaøy nay chaúng phaûi moàng moät, cuõng chaúng phaûi ngaøy Sa-baùt. vaäy, nhaân sao muoán ñi ñeán cuøng ngöôøi? Naøng ñaùp: Moïi ñieàu bình an.

4:24 Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not your riding for me, except I bid you.

4:24 Naøng bieåu thaéng löøa, vaø noùi vôùi keû toâi tôù raèng: Haõy ñem ta ñi mau mau, neáu ta bieåu ngöôi môùi ngöøng laïi.

4:25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her far off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:

4:25 Vaäy, naøng ñi ñeán cuøng ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi taïi treân nuùi Caït-meân. Ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi thaáy naøng ñaèng xa, beøn noùi vôùi Gheâ-ha-xi, keû toâi tôù mình, raèng: Kìa, ngöôøi ñôøn baø Su-nem!

4:26 Run now, I pray you, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with you? is it well with your husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:

4:26 Vaäy, haõy chaïy ñi ñoùn naøng, vaø hoûi naøng raèng: Moïi vieäc ñeàu bình an chaêng? Choàng vaø con ngöôi bình an chaêng? Naøng ñaùp: Bình an.

4:27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD has hid it from me, and has not told me.

4:27 Khi naøng ñeán gaàn ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, taïi treân nuùi, thì oâm laáy chôn ngöôøi. Gheâ-ha-xi ñeán gaàn ñaëng xoâ naøng ra, nhöng ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi noùi cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñeå maëc naøng; linh hoàn naøng ñaéng cay; Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù giaáu ta ñieàu ñoù, khoâng toû cho ta hay.

4:28 Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?

4:28 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy beøn noùi raèng: Toâi haù coù caàu chuùa moät ñöùa con trai sao? Toâi haù chaúng coù noùi vôùi chuùa raèng: Xin chôù doái toâi?

4:29 Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins, and take my staff in yours hand, and go your way: if you meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute you, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.

4:29 EÂ-li-seâ noùi cuøng Gheâ-ha-xi raèng: Haõy thaét löng ngöôi, caàm gaäy ta nôi tay vaø ñi. Neáu ngöôi gaëp ai, chôù chaøo hoï; neáu ai chaøo ngöôi, chôù ñaùp laïi. Ngöôøi seõ ñaët caây gaäy ta treân maët ñöùa treû.

4:30 And the mother of the child said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And he arose, and followed her.

4:30 Ngöôøi meï cuûa ñöùa treû noùi raèng: Toâi chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, vaø chæ maïng soáng cuûa oâng maø theà, toâi chaúng heà lìa khoûi oâng! EÂ-li-seâ beøn choåi daäy, vaø ñi theo ngöôøi.

4:31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

4:31 Gheâ-ha-xi ñi tröôùc hai ngöôøi, vaø ñaët caây gaäy treân maët ñöùa treû. Nhöng ngöôøi chaúng nghe moät tieáng naøo, cuõng chaúng thaáy moøi gì soáng. Ngöôøi trôû laïi ñoùn EÂ-li-seâ, vaø thöa cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Ñöùa treû khoâng tænh laïi.

4:32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.

4:32 Khi EÂ-li-seâ vaøo nhaø, thaáy ñöùa treû ñaõ cheát, naèm saûi treân giöôøng.

4:33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them two, and prayed unto the LORD.

4:33 EÂ-li-seâ vaøo trong phoøng, ñoùng cöûa laïi, coù ñöùa treû vaø mình ôû trong, roài caàu nguyeän cuøng Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

4:34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.

4:34 Ñoaïn, ngöôøi leo treân giöôøng, naèm treân ñöùa treû; ñaët mieäng mình treân mieäng noù, maét mình treân maét noù, vaø tay mình treân tay noù. Ngöôøi naèm aáp treân mình noù, xaùc ñöùa treû beøn aám laïi.

4:35 Then he returned, and walked in the house back and forth; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

4:35 EÂ-li-seâ trôû xuoáng, ñi qua ñi laïi trong phoøng; ñoaïn, leo leân giöôøng, naèm aáp treân mình ñöùa treû nöõa. Roát laïi, noù nhaûy muõi baûy laàn, vaø môû maét ra.

4:36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up your son.

4:36 EÂ-li-seâ lieàn goïi Gheâ-ha-xi goïi ngöôøi. Khi naøng chaïy ñeán, EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi naøng raèng: Haõy aüm laáy con ngöôi.

4:37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

4:37 Naøng beøn laïi gaàn, saáp mình xuoáng döôùi chôn ngöôøi vaø laïy; ñoaïn aüm laáy con mình vaø ñi ra.

4:38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.

4:38 EÂ-li-seâ trôû veà Ghinh-ganh. Vaû, trong xöù coù ñoùi keùm. Caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri ñeàu ngoài tröôùc maët ngöôøi. Ngöôøi bieåu keû toâi tôù mình raèng: Haõy baéc caùi noài lôùn, naáu canh cho caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri.

4:39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.

4:40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O you man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

4:40 Ngöôøi ta muùc cho caùc ngöôøi aên; nhöng vöøa khi hoï neám canh, thì la leân raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, söï cheát ôû trong noài naày! Hoï aên canh aáy khoâng ñaëng.

4:41 But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.

4:41 EÂ-li-seâ noùi: Theá thì, haõy ñem boät laïi. Ngöôøi boû boät trong noài, vaø bieåu raèng: Haõy muùc cho caùc ngöôøi aên. Vaäy, trong canh chaúng coøn ñoäc gì nöõa.

4:42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.

4:42 Coù moät ngöôøi ôû Ba-anh-Sa-li-sa ñeán, ñem cho ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi hai möôi oå baùnh luùa maïch, vaø luùa coøn gieù ñeå trong bò mình, laøm cuûa leã ñaàu muøa gaët. EÂ-li-seâ bieåu keû toâi tôù mình raèng: Haõy ñem phaùt cho caùc ngöôøi aên.

4:43 And his personal attendant said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus says the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.

4:43 Keû toâi tôù ngöôøi thöa raèng: Chi! Toâi phaûi phaùt ñoà naøy cho moät traêm ngöôøi sao? Nhöng EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp: Haõy phaùt cho hoï caùc baùnh ñoù, haàu cho hoï aên ñi; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn nhö vaày: Ngöôøi ta seõ aên vaø coøn dö laïi.

4:44 So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.

4:44 Aáy vaäy, ngöôøi ñaët caùc baùnh ñoù tröôùc maët hoï; hoï aên, vaø coøn thöøa laïi, y nhö lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.

5:1 Na -a-man, quan toång binh cuûa vua Sy-ri, laø moät ngöôøi coù quyeàn tröôùc maët chuû mình, ñöôïc toân troïng laém, bôûi vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va duøng ngöôøi giaûi cöùu daân Sy-ri; ngöôøi naøy voán maïnh meõ vaø baïo daïn, song bò bònh phung.

5:2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.

5:2 Vaû, coù moät vaøi toaùn daân Sy-ri ñi ra baét moät ñöùa gaùi nhoû cuûa xöù Y-sô-ra-eân laøm phu tuø, ñeå haàu haï vôï Na -a-man.

5:3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

5:3 Moät ngaøy kia, noù noùi vôùi baø chuû mình raèng: Oâi! Chôù chi chuùa toâi ñi ñeán cuøng oâng tieân tri ôû Sa-ma-ri! Ngöôøi seõ giaûi cöùu chuùa toâi khoûi bònh phung.

5:4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.

5:4 Na -a-man ñem caùc lôøi naøy thöa laïi cho chuùa mình, maø raèng: Ñöùa gaùi nhoû ôû xöù Y-sô-ra-eân coù noùi theå naày theå naøy.

5:5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.

5:5 Vua Sy-ri ñaùp: Haõy ñi, ta seõ gôûi thô cho vua Y-sô-ra-eân. Vaäy, Na -a-man ñi, ñem theo mình möôøi ta laâng baïc, saùu ngaøn ñoàng vaøng, vaø möôøi boä aùo.

5:6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter has come unto you, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may recover him of his leprosy.

5:6 Ngöôøi ñem böùc thô daâng cho vua Y-sô-ra-eân; thô raèng: Khi thô naày ñaït ñeán cuøng vua, kìa ta ñaõ sai Na -a-man, ñaày tôù ta ñeán cuøng vua; vua tieáp ñöôïc böùc thô naày aáy ñeå vua giaûi cöùu bònh phung cho ngöôøi.

5:7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man does send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.

5:7 Khi vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñoïc thô roài, lieàn xeù quaàn aùo mình, vaø noùi raèng: Oâng aáy sai ngöôøi ñeán cuøng ta ñeå ta chöõa khoûi bònh phung cho hoï, ta haù phaûi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, coù quyeàn laøm soáng laøm cheát sao? Khaù neân bieát vaø xem thaáy raèng ngöôøi tìm dòp ñeå nghòch cuøng ta.

5:8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore have you rent your clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

5:8 Khi EÂ-li-seâ, ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, hay raèng vua Y-sô-ra-eân coù xeù quaàn aùo mình, thì sai noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Côù sao vua xeù quaàn aùo mình? Na -a-man haõy ñeán toâi, aét ngöôøi seõ bieát raèng trong Y-sô-ra-eân coù tieân tri.

5:9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.

5:9 Vaäy, Na -a-man ñeán vôùi ngöïa vaø xe döøng taïi cöûa nhaø EÂ-li-seâ.

5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean.

5:10 EÂ-li-seâ sai moät söù giaû noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi taém mình baûy laàn döôùi soâng Gioâ-ñanh, thòt ngöôi taát seõ trôû neân laønh, vaø ngöôi seõ ñöôïc saïch.

5:11 But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

5:11 Nhöng Na -a-man noåi giaän, vöøa ñi vöøa noùi raèng: Ta nghó raèng chính mình ngöôøi seõ ñi ra ñoùn ta, ñöùng gaàn ñoù maø caàu khaån danh Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa ngöôøi, laáy tay ñöa qua ñöa laïi treân choã bònh vaø chöõa laønh keû phung.

5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

5:12 A-ba-na vaø Baït-ba, hai soâng ôû Ña-maùch, haù chaúng toát hôn caùc nöôùc trong Y-sô-ra-eân sao? Ta haù chaúng taém ñoù cho ñöôïc saïch hay sao? Vaäy, ngöôøi trôû ñi vaø giaän döõ.

5:13 And his servants came near, and spoke unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid you do some great thing, would you not have done it? how much rather then, when he says to you, Wash, and be clean?

5:13 Nhöõng toâi tôù ñeán gaàn ngöôøi, maø thöa raèng: Cha ôi, neáu tieân tri coù truyeàn cho cha moät vieäc khoù, cha haù chaúng laøm sao? Phöông chi raøy ngöôøi baûo cha raèng: "Haõy taém, thì ñöôïc saïch."

5:14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

5:14 Ngöôøi beøn xuoáng soâng Gioâ-ñanh, vaø taém mình baûy laàn, theo nhö lôøi truyeàn cuûa ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Ngöôøi lieàn ñöôïc saïch, vaø thòt ngöôøi trôû neân nhö tröôùc, gioáng nhö thòt cuûa moät ñöùa con nít nhoû.

5:15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray you, take a blessing of your servant.

5:15 Na -a-man vôùi heát thaûy ngöôøi ñi theo, beøn trôû laïi cuøng ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; ngöôøi ñeán ñöùng tröôùc maët EÂ-li-seâ, maø noùi raèng: Baây giôø, toâi nhìn bieát raèng treân khaép theá gian chaúng coù chuùa naøo khaùc hôn Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi trong Y-sô-ra-eân. Aáy vaäy, toâi xin oâng nhaäm leã vaät cuûa keû toâi tôù oâng.

5:16 But he said, As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.

5:16 Nhöng EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Ta chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng, laø Ñaáng ta phuïc söï maø theà raèng ta chaúng nhaäm gì heát. Na -a-man eùp naøi EÂ-li-seâ nhaäm laáy, nhöng ngöôøi töø choái.

5:17 And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray you, be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth? for your servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.

5:17 Na -a-man beøn tieáp raèng: Tuy chaúng nhaäm laáy, toâi xin oâng cho pheùp ngöôøi ta ban cho keû toâi tôù oâng ñuû ñaát baèng hai con la chôû noåi vì töø raøy veà sau, keû toâi tôù oâng chaúng muoán daâng cuûa leã thieâu hay laø teá leã cho cho thaàn naøo khaùc hôn laø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

5:18 In this thing the LORD pardon your servant, that when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this thing.

5:18 Song, nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va tha thöù cho keû toâi tôù oâng ñieàu naøy: Moãi khi chuû toâi vaøo trong ñeàn thôø Rim-moân ñaëng thôø laïy, thì choáng treân caùnh tay toâi, neân toâi cuõng phaûi quì laïy trong ñeàn thôø Rim-moân, nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va tha thöù ñieàu ñoù cho keû toâi tôù oâng.

5:19 And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.

5:19 EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi bình yeân. Khi Na -a-man ñaõ lìa khoûi EÂ-li-seâ, ñi caùch xa xa,

5:20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

5:20 thì Gheâ-ha-xi, toâi tôù cuûa EÂ-li-seâ, ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, noùi thaàm raèng: Kìa, chuû ta coù dong thöù cho Na -a-man, ngöôøi Sy-ri, khoâng nhaäm leã vaät maø ngöôøi ñaõ ñem ñeán. Ta chæ Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va haèng soáng maø theà, ta seõ chaïy theo ngöôøi vaø laõnh laáy vaät chi nôi ngöôøi.

5:21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?

5:21 Vaäy, Gheâ-ha-xi chaïy theo sau Na -a-man. Na -a-man thaáy Gheâ-ha-xi chaïy theo sau mình, beøn nhaûy xuoáng xe, ñi ñeán ñoùn ngöôøi, vaø hoûi raèng: Moïi vieäc ñeàu bình an chôù?

5:22 And he said, All is well. My master has sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray you, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

5:22 Gheâ-ha-xi ñaùp: Moïi vieäc ñeàu bình an. Chuû toâi sai toâi noùi vôùi oâng raèng: Hoài naõy, coù hai ngöôøi trai treû, laø moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri, ôû nuùi Eùp-ra-im ñeán; ta xin oâng haõy cho hai ngöôøi aáy moät ta laâng baïc, vaø hai boä aùo.

5:23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.

5:23 Na -a-man noùi: Xin haõy nhaän laáy hai ta laâng. Ngöôøi coá naøi; ñoaïn ñeå hai ta laâng baïc vaø hai boä aùo trong bao, roài trao cho hai toâi tôù mình ñem ñi tröôùc maët Gheâ-ha-xi.

5:24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.

5:24 Luùc ñaõ ñeán treân goø, Gheâ-ha-xi laáy caùc bao khoûi tay hai ñaày tôù, vaø ñeå trong nhaø mình, ñoaïn cho hoï ñi trôû veà.

5:25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence come you, Gehazi? And he said, Your servant went no where.

5:25 Ngöôøi beøn ra maét EÂ-li-seâ, chuû mình; ngöôøi hoûi raèng: ÔÙ Gheâ-ha-xi, ngöôi ôû ñaâu ñeán? Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Toâi tôù thaày khoâng coù ñi ñaâu.

5:26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with you, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive yards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and male servants, and maidservants?

5:26 Nhöng EÂ-li-seâ tieáp raèng: Khi ngöôøi kia xuoáng khoûi xe ñaëng ñi ñoùn ngöôi, loøng ta haù chaúng ôû cuøng ngöôi sao? Raøy haù coù phaûi luùc neân nhaäm laáy baïc, quaàn aùo, vöôøn oâ-li-ve, vöôøn nho, chieân vaø boø, toâi trai tôù gaùi, sao?

5:27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto you, and unto your seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

5:27 Vì vaäy, bònh phung cuûa Na -a-man seõ dính vaøo ngöôi vaø doøng doõi ngöôi ñôøi ñôøi. Gheâ-ha-xi ñi ra khoûi EÂ-li-seâ, bò taät phung traéng nhö tuyeát.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

6:1 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with you is too strait for us.

6:1 Caùc moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Nôi chuùng toâi ôû tröôùc maët thaày laø heïp quaù cho chuùng toâi.

6:2 Let us go, we pray you, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go all of you.

6:2 Xin ñeå chuùng toâi ñi ñeán Gioâ-ñanh, ai naáy seõ ñoán moät caây ñoøn tay, roài taïi ñoù caát moät nôi ôû cho chuùng toâi. EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp: Haõy ñi.

6:3 And one said, Be content, I pray you, and go with your servants. And he answered, I will go.

6:3 Moät ngöôøi tieáp raèng; Toâi xin thaày haõy ñi cuøng caùc toâi tôù thaày. Ngöôøi ñaùp:

6:4 So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

6:4 Ta seõ ñi. Vaäy, ngöôøi ñi vôùi hoï. Ñeán Gioâ-ñanh, hoï khôûi ñoán caây.

6:5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

6:5 Nhöng coù moät ngöôøi ñöông ñoán caây, caùi löôõi rìu vaêng xuoáng nöôùc. ngöôøi la leân raèng: ÔÙ chuùa toâi! than oâi! toâi coù möôïn noù!

6:6 And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

6:6 Ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi hoûi raèng: Noù rôùt ôû ñaâu? Ngöôøi chæ choã cho. EÂ-li-seâ beøn chaët moät khuùc caây quaêng xuoáng taïi choã ñoù, laøm cho löôõi rìu noåi leân,

6:7 Therefore said he, Take it up to you. And he put out his hand, and took it.

6:7 vaø bieåu ngöôøi aáy raèng: Haõy laáy noù ñi. Ngöôøi aáy beøn giô tay ra vaø laáy noù.

6:8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.

6:8 Vaû, vua Sy-ri giao chieán vôùi Y-sô-ra-eân; ngöôøi thöông nghò vôùi caùc toâi tôù mình, maø raèng: Ta seõ ñoùng traïi ta taïi nôi noï nôi kia.

6:9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that you pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.

6:9 Ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi beøn sai noùi vôùi vua Y-sô-ra-eân raèng; Khaù giöõ laáy, chôù ñi ngang qua choã kia, vì daân Sy-ri phuïc taïi ñoù.

6:10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.

6:10 Vaäy, vua Y-sô-ra-eân sai ngöôøi ñeán nôi maø ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ chæ cho mình vaø baûo tröôùc; ngöôøi giöõ laáy mình taïi ñoù, chaúng nhöõng moät hai laàn.

6:11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will all of you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?

6:11 Loøng vua Sy-ri boái roái veà söï aáy, beøn goïi caùc toâi tôù mình, maø noùi raèng; Caùc ngöôi haù khoâng toû cho ta, ai trong chuùng ta laø ngöôøi giuùp ñôõ vua Y-sô-ra-eân?

6:12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedchamber.

6:12 Moät ngöôøi trong nhöõng toâi tôù thöa raèng: Oâi vua chuùa toâi! chaúng ai trong chuùng toâi heát; nhöng EÂ-li-seâ, tieân tri trong Y-sô-ra-eân, toû cho vua Y-sô-ra-eân bieát caùc lôøi vua noùi trong phoøng nguû mình.

6:13 And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.

6:13 Vua beøn baûo raèng: Haõy ñi xem ngöôøi ôû ñaâu, ñeå ta sai baét ngöôøi. Coù ngöôøi ñeán thuaät cho vua raèng: Kìa, ngöôøi ôû taïi Ñoâ-than.

6:14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

6:14 Vì vaäy, vua sai ngöïa, xe, vaø moät ñaïo binh raát ñoâng ñeán Ñoâ-than; hoï tôùi nôi luùc ban ñeâm, vaø vaây thaønh.

6:15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

6:15 Toâi tôù cuûa ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi choåi daäy saùng sôùm ñi ra, thaáy moät ñaïo binh cuøng ngöïa vaø xe ñöông vaây thaønh. Ngöôøi noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Hôõi oâi! chuùa, chuùng ta seõ laøm sao?

6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

6:16 EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Chôù sôï, nhöõng ngöôøi ôû vôùi chuùng ta ñoâng hôn nhöõng ngöôøi ôû vôùi chuùng noù.

6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray you, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

6:17 Ñoaïn, EÂ-li-seâ caàu nguyeän maø raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va oâi, xin môû maét keû toâi tôù toâi, ñeå noù thaáy ñöôïc. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va môû maét ngöôøi ra, thì ngöôøi thaáy nuùi ñaày nhöõng ngöïa vaø xe baèng löûa ôû chung quanh EÂ-li-seâ.

6:18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Strike this people, I pray you, with blindness. And he stroke them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

6:18 Quaân Sy-ri keùo xuoáng nôi EÂ-li-seâ; ngöôøi caàu nguyeän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Xin Chuùa khieán maét quaân aáy bò ñui muø. Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi beøn khieán chuùng ñui muø, theo nhö lôøi caàu nguyeän cuûa EÂ-li-seâ.

6:19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom all of you seek. But he led them to Samaria.

6:19 Ñoaïn, EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi chuùng noù raèng; Ñaây khoâng phaûi laø ñöôøng, ñaây chaúng phaûi laø thaønh. Haõy theo ta, ta seõ daãn caùc ngöôi ñeán ngöôøi maø caùc ngöôi tìm kieám. Roài ngöôøi daãn chuùng noù ñeán Sa-ma-ri.

6:20 And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

6:20 Khi chuùng noù ñaõ vaøo trong Sa-ma-ri roài, EÂ-li-seâ caàu raèng: Laïy Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin môû maét cho chuùng noù thaáy. Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va beøn môû maét hoï, hoï thaáy mình ôû giöõa Sa-ma-ri.

6:21 And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I strike them? shall I strike them?

6:21 Vua Y-sô-ra-eân thaáy chuùng noù, thì noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Hôõi cha! phaûi ñaùnh chuùng noù chaêng? phaûi ñaùnh chuùng noù chaêng.

6:22 And he answered, You shall not strike them: would you strike those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

6:22 EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Chôù ñaùnh. Nhöõng ngöôøi vua duøng göôm vaø cung maø baét laøm phu tuø, vua haù ñaùnh sao? Haõy doïn tröôùc maët chuùng baùnh vaø röôïu, ñeå cho chuùng aên vaø uoáng, roài trôû veà cuøng chuû mình.

6:23 And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

6:23 Ngöôøi beøn baøy tieäc lôùn cho chuùng noù; khi chuùng noù ñaõ aên uoáng roài, ngöôøi tha cho chuùng noù ñi; chuùng noù beøn trôû veà cuøng chuû mình. Töø ñoù veà sau, nhöõng toaùn quaân Sî-ri khoâng coøn loaùn ñeán ñòa phaän Y-sô-ra-eân nöõa.

6:24 And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

6:24 Sau caùc ñieàu ñoù, Beân-Ha-ñaùt, vua Sy-ri, nhoùm caû ñaïo binh mình, ñi leân vaây thaønh Sa-ma-ri.

6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

6:25 Trongsa-ma-ri ñöông coù söï ñoùi keùm lôùn laém, thaønh bò vaây haõm laâu ngaøy, ñeán ñoãi moät caùi ñaàu löøa baùn taùm möôi sieác lô baïc, vaø moät goùc tö oâ phaân boø caâu baùn naêm sieác lô baïc.

6:26 And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.

6:26 Khi vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñi ngang qua treân töôøng thaønh, coù moät ngöôøi ñaøn baø keâu ngöôøi raèng: Oâi vua chuùa toâi, xin cöùu toâi!

6:27 And he said, If the LORD do not help you, whence shall I help you? out of the barn floor, or out of the winepress?

6:27 Vua noùi: Neáu Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va khoâng cöùu ngöôi, thì ta laáy ñaâu ñaëng cöùu ngöôi? Bôûi saân ñaïp luùa hay laø bôûi nôi eùp röôïu sao?

6:28 And the king said unto her, What disturbs you? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give your son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son tomorrow.

6:28 Vua laïi raèng: Ngöôi coù chi? Naøng thöa raèng: Ñôøn baø naøy noùi vôùi toâi raèng: Haõy cho con trai chò, haàu ngaøy nay chuùng ta aên thòt noù; ngaøy mai chuùng ta seõ aên thòt con trai ta.

6:29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give your son, that we may eat him: and she has hid her son.

6:29 Vaäy, chuùng toâi coù naáu thòt con trai toâi vaø aên. Ngaøy mai toâi coù noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Haõy cho con trai chò, haàu chuùng ta aên noù. Nhöng ngöôøi coù giaáu con trai mình.

6:30 And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.

6:30 Khi vua nghe lôøi cuûa ngöôøi ñôøn baø naøy, thì xeù quaàn aùo mình. Baáy giôø, ngöôøi ñang ñi ngang qua treân töôøng thaønh, daân söï xem thaáy ngöôøi phía trong maëc caùi bao saùt vaøo thòt mình.

6:31 Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.

6:31 Vua la leân raèng: Neáu ngaøy nay ñaàu cuûa EÂ-li-seâ, con trai cuûa Sa-phaùt, haõy coøn ôû treân vai noù, nguyeän Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi xöû ta caùch naëng neà!

6:32 But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See all of you how this son of a murderer has sent to take away mine head? look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?

6:32 EÂ-li-seâ ñöông ngoài trong nhaø mình, vaø caùc tröôûng laõo ngoài chung quanh ngöôøi, thì vua sai moät söù giaû ñi tröôùc mình ñeán cuøng tieân tri. Nhöng khi söù giaû chöa ñeán, EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi caùc tröôûng laõo raèng: Kìa, haõy xem, con keû saùt nhôn kia sai ngöôøi ñeán ñaëng caét ñaàu ta. Khaù coi chöøng: vöøa khi söù giaû ñeán, haõy ñoùng cöûa laïi, duøng cöûa xoâ ñuoåi noù ñi. Caùc ngöôi haù chaúng nghe tieáng böôùc cuûa chuû noù sau löng noù sao?

6:33 And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of the LORD; what should I wait for the LORD any longer?

6:33 Ngöôøi coøn ñöông noùi, chuùng thaáy söù giaû ñeán. Vua cuõng ñeán, noùi vôùi EÂ-li-seâ raèng: Tai naïn naøy ñeán bôûi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vaäy, ta coøn troâng caäy nôi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm chi?

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear all of you the word of the LORD; Thus says the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

7:1 EÂ-li-seâ beøn noùi raèng: Haõy nghe lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ngaøy mai, taïi giôø naøy, nôi cöûa thaønh Sa-ma-ri, moät ñaáu boät loïc seõ baùn moät sieác lô, vaø hai ñaáu luùa maïch seõ baùn moät sieác lô.

7:2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with yours eyes, but shall not eat thereof.

7:2 Quan cai naâng ñôõ vua, ñaùp vôùi ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng: Daàu cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va môû caùc cöûa soå treân trôøi, ñieàu ñoù haù coù ñöôïc sao? EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp: Chính maét ngöôi seõ thaáy, nhöng ngöôi khoâng ñaëng aên ñeán.

7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

7:3 Taïi cöûa thaønh coù boán ngöôøi phung noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Chuùng ta ngoài ñaây ñeán chöøng cheát maø laøm chi?

7:4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

7:4 Neáu chuùng ta nhaát ñònh vaøo thaønh, thì ôû ñoù coù ñoùi keùm, vaø chuùng ta seõ cheát ñoùi: baèng chuùng ta cöù ngoài ñaây, thì chuùng ta cuõng seõ cheát. Vaäy, chuùng ta haõy qua traïi quaân Sy-ri: Neáu hoï dung thöù ta, thì ta seõ soáng; baèng hoï gieát ñi, daãu theá naøo, chuùng ta cuõng seõ cheát ñoù thoâi.

7:5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

7:5 Vaäy, luùc chaïng vaïng, caùc ngöôøi phung choåi daäy ñaëng ñi ñeán traïi quaân cuûa saân Sy-ri; khi tôùi ñaàu traïi quaân, hoï chaúng thaáy ai ôû ñoù heát.

7:6 For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

7:6 Vì Chuùa ñaõ khieán traïi quaân Sy-ri nghe tieáng xe, ngöïa vaø tieáng ñaïo binh lôùn; neân noãi daân Sy-ri noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Kìa, vua Y-sô-ra-eân ñaõ möôùn vua daân Heâ-tít vaø vua EÂ-díp-toâ ñaëng haõm ñaùnh chuùng ta.

7:7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.

7:7 Chuùng lieàn choåi daäy, chaïy troán luùc chaïng vaïng, boû caùc traïi, ngöïa, vaø löøa mình, ñeå traïi quaân mình nhö cuõ; chuùng troán ñaëng cöùu maïng soáng mình.

7:8 And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.

7:8 Khi caùc ngöôøi phung kia ñeán ñaàu traïi quaân, beøn vaøo trong moät traïi, aên vaø uoáng; ñoaïn hoï laáy baïc, vaøng, vaø quaàn aùo ñem ñi giaáu. Chuùng trôû laïi, vaøo trong moät traïi khaùc, ôû ñoù, cuõng laáy nhöõng cuûa caûi maø ñem ñi giaáu luoân.

7:9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.

7:9 Baáy giôø, hoï beøn noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Chuùng ta laøm chaúng phaûi; ngaøy nay laø ngaøy coù tin laønh, vaø chuùng ta nín laëng sao! Neáu chuùng ta ñôïi ñeán raïng ñoâng, thì söï hình phaït chaéc seõ laâm vaøo chuùng ta. Vaäy, ta haõy ñi baùo tin naøy cho nhaø vua.

7:10 So they came and called unto the gate keeper of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.

7:10 Chuùng lieàn ñi, goïi quaân canh cöûa thaønh, thuaät cho hoï raèng: Chuùng toâi coù ñi ñeán traïi quaân Sy-ri, thaáy chaúng coù ai heát, cuõng khoâng nghe tieáng ngöôøi naøo; chæ thaáy nhöõng ngöïa vaø löøa ñöông coät vaø nhöõng traïi boû laïi nhö cuõ.

7:11 And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.

7:11 Quaân canh cöûa beøn goïi ngöôøi ñi baùo tin aáy vaøo trong ñeàn vua.

7:12 And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.

7:12 Vua choåi daäy ban ñeâm, noùi vôùi caùc toâi tôù mình raèng: Ta seõ baøy toû cho caùc ngöôi ñieàu daân Sy-ri toan laøm cho chuùng ta. Chuùng noù bieát chuùng ta ñoùi neân chi hoï ñaõ ra khoûi traïi quaân mình ñaëng phuïc trong ñoàng. Chuùng noù ñaõ noùi nhau raèng: Khi daân Y-sô-ra-eân ra khoûi thaønh, chuùng ta seõ baét soáng chuùng noù, roài chuùng ta seõ vaøo trong thaønh.

7:13 And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray you, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.

7:13 Moät ngöôøi toâi tôù cuûa vua thöa raèng: Kìa, ngöïa coøn soùt laïi cuõng hao moøn nhö ñoaøn daân Y-sô-ra-eân coøn laïi ôû trong thaønh; veà sau noù quaû seõ ñoàng soá phaän cuøng ñoaøn daân ñoâng ñaõ cheát maát. Vì vaäy, ta haõy truyeàn lònh cho ngöôøi naøo baét naêm con ngöïa trong soá coøn laïi ñaëng ñi doø thaùm.

7:14 They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.

7:14 Vaäy, chuùng laáy hai caùi xe thaéng ngöïa vaøo, roài vua sai ngöôøi ñi theo ñaïo quaân Sy-ri, maø raèng: Haõy ñi xem.

7:15 And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.

7:15 Chuùng ñi theo hoï cho ñeán Gioâ-ñanh, thaáy khaép doïc ñöôøng ñaày nhöõng quaàn aùo vaø ñoà ñaïc maø quaân Sy-ri ñaõ quaêng trong luùc chaïy troán hoái haû. Caùc söù giaû trôû veà thuaät laïi cho vua hay.

7:16 And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.

7:16 Daân söï beøn keùo ra, cöôùp laáy traïi quaân Sy-ri, ñeán ñoãi moät ñaáu boät loïc baùn moät sieác lô, vaø hai ñaáu luùc maïch cuõng baùn moät sieác lô, y nhö lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn.

7:17 And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

7:17 Vua caét quan cai naâng ñôõ mình canh giöõ cöûa thaønh; nhöng daân chuùng ñaïp deïp ngöôøi taïi nôi cöûa thaønh, vaø ngöôøi cheát, y nhö ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ noùi tröôùc khi vua ñeán kieám ngöôøi.

7:18 And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:

7:18 Vaû laïi, vieäc xaûy ra nhö lôøi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ noùi vôùi vua raèng: Ngaøy mai, taïi giôø naøy, nôi cöûa thaønh Sa-ma-ri, hai ñaáu luùa maïch seõ baùn moät sieác lô, vaø moät ñaáu boät loïc cuõng baùn moät sieác lô;

7:19 And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with yours eyes, but shall not eat thereof.

7:19 roài quan cai coù ñaùp vôùi ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi raèng: Daãu cho Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va môû caùc cöûa soå treân trôøi, ñieàu ñoù haù coù ñöôïc sao? EÂ-li-seâ beøn tieáp raèng: Maét ngöôi seõ thaáy ñieàu ñoù, song ngöôi khoâng aên ñeán.

7:20 And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.

7:20 Aáy laø ñieàu xaûy ñeán; vì daân chuùng ñaïp deïp ngöôøi döôùi chôn taïi cöûa thaønh, vaø ngöôøi cheát.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

8:1 Then spoke Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go you and yours household, and sojourn where ever you can sojourn: for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

8:1 EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi ngöôøi ñôøn baø, laø meï cuûa ñöùa trai maø ngöôøi ñaõ khieán soáng laïi, raèng: Haõy choåi daäy, ñi vôùi ngöôøi nhaø ngöôi, ôû nguï nôi naøo ngöôi ôû ñöôïc vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñònh daãn côn ñoùi ñeán; kìa noù seõ ñeán trong xöù baûy naêm.

8:2 And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

8:2 Vaäy, ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy ñöùng daäy, vaâng theo lôøi cuûa ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, cuøng ngöôøi nhaø mình ñi kieàu nguï baûy naêm trong xöù Phi-li-tin.

8:3 And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

8:3 Cuoái baûy naêm, ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy ôû xöù Phi-li-tin trôû veà, ñi ñeán keâu naøi vua veà vieäc nhaø vaø ñoàng ruoäng mình.

8:4 And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray you, all the great things that Elisha has done.

8:4 Vaû, vua ñöông noùi chuyeän vôùi Gheâ-ha-xi, toâi tôù cuûa ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, maø raèng: Ngöôi haõy thuaät cho ta heát caùc coâng vieäc lôùn maø EÂ-li-seâ ñaõ laøm xong.

8:5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

8:5 Gheâ-ha-xi ñang thuaät cho vua hay theá naøo EÂ-li-seâ ñaõ khieán moät keû cheát soáng laïi, kìa coù ngöôøi ñaøn baø laø meï cuûa ñöùa con trai maø EÂ-li-seâ ñaõ khieán cho soáng laïi, ñeán keâu naøi vua veà vieäc nhaø vaø ñoàng ruoäng mình. Gheâ-ha-xi taâu raèng: Oâi vua chuùa toâi! kìa laø ngöôøi ñôøn baø aáy, vaø naøy laø con trai naøng maø EÂ-li-seâ ñaõ laøm cho soáng laïi.

8:6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

8:7 And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God has come here.

8:7 EÂ-li-seâ ñi ñeán Ña-maùch. Baáy giôø, Beân-Ha-ñaùt, vua Sy-ri, ñau. Coù ngöôøi noùi vôùi vua raèng: Ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi môùi ñeán ñaây.

8:8 And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in yours hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

8:8 Vua baûo Ha-xa-eân raèng: Haõy laáy ñem theo moät leã vaät, ñi ñoùn ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, caäy ngöôøi caàu vaán Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va raèng: Ta seõ ñöôïc laønh bònh naøy chaêng?

8:9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Your son Benhadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

8:9 Vaäy, Ha-xa-eân ñi ñoùn ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, daãn theo mình boán möôi laïc ñaø, chôû moïi moùn toát nhaát coù taïi Ña-maùch, ñaëng laøm cuûa leã cho ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi. Ngöôøi ñeán ra maét EÂ-li-seâ, maø thöa raèng: Con trai oâng laø Beân-Ha-ñaùt, vua Sy-ri, ñaõ sai toâi ñeán oâng ñaëng hoûi raèng: Toâi seõ ñöôïc laønh bònh naøy chaêng?

8:10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, You may certainly recover: nevertheless the LORD has showed me that he shall surely die.

8:10 EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Haõy ñi noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Vua seõ ñöôïc laønh bònh. Daàu vaäy, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ toû cho ta bieát ngöôøi haún seõ cheát.

8:11 And he settled his countenance steadfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

8:11 Ngöôøi cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngoù chaêm Ha-xa-eân laâu ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi phaûi hoå theïn, roài caát tieáng leân khoùc.

8:12 And Hazael said, Why weeps my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that you will do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds will you set on fire, and their young men will you slay with the sword, and will dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

8:12 Ha-xa-eân hoûi raèng: Côù sao chuùa toâi khoùc? EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Bôûi ta bieát ngöôi seõ laøm thieät haïi cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân. Ngöôi seõ chaâm löûa caùc thaønh kieân coá cuûa chuùng noù, gieát caùc keû trai treû baèng göôm, chaø naùt con nhoû, vaø moå buïng ñôøn baø coù ngheùn cuûa chuùng noù.

8:13 And Hazael said, But what, is your servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD has showed me that you shall be king over Syria.

8:13 Ha-xa-eân tieáp: Nhöng keû toâi tôù oâng laø ai, chaúng qua laø moät con choù ñoù thoâi; sao laøm noåi coâng söï lôùn döôøng aáy? EÂ-li-seâ ñaùp raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ toû cho ta bieát raèng ngöôi seõ laøm vua Sy-ri.

8:14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to you? And he answered, He told me that you should surely recover.

8:14 Ha-xa-eân beøn lìa khoûi EÂ-li-seâ, vaø trôû veà cuøng chuû mình; chuû hoûi raèng: EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi ngöôi sao? Ngöôi thöa: EÂ-li-seâ noùi vôùi toâi raèng chuùa chaéc seõ laønh maïnh.

8:15 And it came to pass on the next day, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his position.

8:15 Ngaøy mai, Ha-xa-eân laáy caùi meàn nhuùng nöôùc, ñaép treän maët Beân-Ha-ñaùt, thì ngöôøi cheát. Roài Ha-xa-eân laøm vua theá cho ngöôøi.

8:16 And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Je hoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

8:16 Naêm thöù naêm veà ñôøi Gioâ-ram, con trai A-haùp, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, thì Gioâ-ram, con trai Gioâ-sa-phaùt, vua Giu-ña, leân ngoâi laøm vua Giu-ña ñöông khi Gioâ-sa-phaùt coøn trò vì.

8:17 Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

8:17 Luùc leân ngoâi, ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc ba möôi hai tuoåi; ngöôøi cai trò taùm naêm taïi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

8:18 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

8:18 Ngöôøi ñi theo con ñöôøng cuûa caùc vua Y-sô-ra-eân, y nhö nhaø A-haùp ñaõ laøm; vì con gaùi cuûa A-haùp laø vôï ngöôøi. Vaäy, ngöôøi laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

8:19 Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him always a light, and to his children.

8:19 Song Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nhaân vì Ña-vít, toâi tôù cuûa Ngaøi, khoâng muoán tuyeät dieät Giu-ña, bôûi Ngaøi ñaõ höùa ñeå daønh moät ngoïn ñeøn cho Ña-vít vaø cho doøng doõi ngöôøi maõi maõi.

8:20 In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

8:20 Trong ñôøi Gioâ-ram, daân EÂ-ñoâm phaûn nghòch cuøng Giu-ña, vaø laäp vua leân cho mình.

8:21 So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and stroke the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

8:25 Naêm thöù möôøi hai, ñôøi Gioâ-ram, con trai A-haùp, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, thì A-cha-xia, con trai Gioâ-ram, vua Giu-ña, leân ngoâi trò vì.

8:26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

8:27 Ngöôøi ñi theo con ñöôøng cuûa nhaø A-haùp, laøm ñieàu aùc tröôùc maët Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, y nhö nhaø aáy ñaõ laøm. Vì ngöôøi laø reå cuûa nhaø A-haùp.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

9:1 And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up your loins, and take this box of oil in yours hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

9:1 Ñaáng tieân tri EÂ-li-seâ goïi moät ngöôøi trong boïn moân ñoà cuûa nhöõng tieân tri, maø noùi raèng: Haõy thaét löng, ñem ve daàu naøy theo ngöôi, vaø haõy ñi ñeán Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt.

9:2 And when you come thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

9:2 Khi ngöôi ñaõ ñeán ñoù, haõy kieám Gieâ-hu laø con trai cuûa Gioâ-sa-phaùt, chaùu Nim-si, ôû ñaâu; ñoaïn ngöôi seõ vaøo, khieán ngöôøi choåi daäy khoûi anh em mình, vaø daãn ngöôøi vaøo trong moät phoøng kín.

9:3 Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

9:3 Baáy giôø, ngöôi seõ laáy ve daàu, ñoå treân ñaàu ngöôøi, vaø noùi raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta xöùc daàu cho ngöôi laøm vua treân Y-sô-ra-eân. Ñoaïn, haõy môû cöûa ra vaø troán ñi, chôù höôûn ñaõi.

9:4 So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

9:4 Nhö vaäy, ngöôøi toâi tôù trai treû cuûa ñaáng tieân tri ñi ñeán Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt.

9:5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to you, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To you, O captain.

9:5 Khi ngöôøi ñeán, caùc quan töôùng ñaïo quaân ñöông ngoài. Ngöôøi noùi vôùi Gieâ-hu raèng: Hôõi quan töôùng, toâi coù chuyeän noùi vôùi oâng. Gieâ-hu ñaùp raèng: Coù chuyeän noùi vôùi ai trong chuùng ta? Ngöôøi trai treû ñaùp: Hôõi quan töôùng, vôùi oâng.

9:6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

9:6 vaäy, Gieâ-hu ñöùng daäy, vaø ñi vaøo trong nhaø. ngöôøi trai treû beøn ñoå daàu treân ñaàu ngöôøi, vaø noùi raèng: Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân phaùn nhö vaày: Ta xöùc daàu cho ngöôi laøm vua treân Y-sô-ra-eân, laø daân söï cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

9:7 And you shall strike the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

9:7 Ngöôi seõ ñaùnh gieát nhaø A-haùp, chuû ngöôi; vaø ta seõ baùo Gieâ-sa-beân veà huyeát cuûa caùc tieân tri, toâi tôù ta, cuøng huyeát cuûa heát thaûy toâi tôù cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

9:8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisses against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

9:8 Caû nhaø A-haùp seõ bò dieät heát; caùc ngöôøi nam cuûa nhaø A-haùp, voâ luaän keû noâ leä hay laø ngöôøi ñöôïc töï do ta seõ gieát khoûi trong Y-sô-ra-eân;

9:9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

9:9 vaø ta seõ laøm cho nhaø A-haùp gioáng nhö nhaø Gieâ-roâ-boâ-am, con trai cuûa Neâ-baùt, vaø gioáng nhö nhaø Ba-eâ-sa, con trai cuûa A-hi-gia.

9:10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

9:10 Choù seõ aên thòt Gieâ-sa-beân trong ñoàng Gít-reâ-eân, chaúng coù ai choân ngöôøi. Ñoaïn, ngöôøi trai treû môû cöûa ra vaø chaïy troán.

9:11 Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to you? And he said unto them, All of you know the man, and his communication.

9:11 Gieâ-hu beøn ñi ra, ñeán cuøng caùc toâi tôù cuûa chuû mình. Chuùng noù hoûi raèng: Moïi söï bình an chôù? Keû ñieân naøy ñeán kieám anh maø chi? Ngöôøi ñaùp vôùi chuùng noù raèng: Caùc ngöôi bieát ngöôøi vaø lôøi cuûa ngöôøi noùi.

9:12 And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spoke he to me, saying, Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel.

9:12 Nhöng chuùng noù ñaùp raèng: Noùi doái! Haõy noùi cho chuùng ta. Vaäy, ngöôøi noùi vôùi chuùng raèng: Ngöôøi coù noùi vôùi ta caùch naøy caùch kia, raèng: Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Ta xöùc daàu cho ngöôi laøm vua treân Y-sô-ra-eân.

9:13 Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

9:13 Ai naáy lieàn laät ñaät laáy quaàn aùo mình, traûi xuoáng döôùi chôn ngöôøi treân caùc naác thang. Ñoaïn, chuùng noù thoåi keøn, vaø tung hoâ raèng: Gieâ-hu laøm vua!

9:14 So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

9:14 Aáy vaäy, Gieâ-hu, con trai Gioâ-sa-phaùt, chaùu Nim-si, laøm phaûn Gioâ-ram. Vaû, vì côù Ha-xa-eân, vua Sy-ri, Gioâ-ram vaø caû quaân Y-sô-ra-eân ñeàu binh vöïc Ra-moát taïi Ga-la-aùt,

9:15 But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

9:15 nhöng vua Gioâ-ram ñaõ trôû veà Gít-reâ-eân ñaëng chöõa laønh nhöõng vít thöông maø ngöôøi ñaõ bò bôûi quaân Sy-ri, khi ngöôøi ñaùnh giaëc vôùi Ha-xa-eân vua Sy-ri. Gieâ-hu beøn noùi raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi vöøa yù, chôù ñeå moät ai thoaùt khoûi thaønh ñi thoâng tin cho Gít-reâ-eân.

9:16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

9:16 Vaäy, Gieâ-hu leân xe, qua Gít-reâ-eân, vì Gioâ-ram ñau lieät naèm taïi ñoù. A-cha-xia, vua Giu-ña, cuõng ñi xuoáng ñoù ñaëng thaêm Gioâ-ram.

9:17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

9:17 Lính canh ñöùng treân thaùp Gít-reâ-eân, thaáy ñaïo quaân cuûa Gieâ-hu ñeán, beøn la leân raèng: Toâi thaáy nhöõng ñaïo quaân ñeán. Gioâ-ram lieàn baûo raèng: Haõy sai moät ngöôøi lính kî ñi ñoùn hoï, vaø hoûi raèng: Bình yeân chaêng?

9:18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What have you to do with peace? turn you behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he comes not again.

9:18 Vaäy, coù ngöôøi lính kî ñi ñoùn Gieâ-hu ñaùp: Söï bình yeân coù can heä chi ngöôi? Haõy lui sau ta. Teân lính canh baùo tin raèng: Söù giaû ñaõ ñi ñeán nôi quaân aáy roài, nhöng khoâng trôû veà.

9:19 Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What have you to do with peace? turn you behind me.

9:19 Ngöôøi laïi sai moät ngöôøi lính kî thöù nhì, cuõng ñeán cuøng chuùng noù, vaø noùi: Vua hoûi: Bình yeân chaêng? Gieâ-hu ñaùp: Söï bình yeân coù can heä chi ngöôi? Haõy lui sau ta.

9:20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and comes not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.

9:20 Lính canh laïi baùo tin raèng: Söù giaû ñaõ ñeán nôi chuùng noù roài, nhöng ngöôøi khoâng trôû veà. Vaû, caùch daãn xe gioáng nhö caùch cuûa Gieâ-hu, con trai Nim-si, vì ngöôøi daãn caùch hung haêng.

9:21 And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

9:21 Gioâ-ram beøn noùi raèng: Haõy thaéng xe. Ngöôøi ta thaéng xe ngöôøi. Ñoaïn Gioâ-ram, vua Y-sô-ra-eân, vaø A-cha-xia, vua Giu-ña, moãi ngöôøi ñeàu leân xe mình, keùo ra ñoùn Gieâ-hu, gaëp ngöôøi trong ñoàng ruoäng cuûa Na-boát, ngöôøi Gít-reâ-eân.

9:22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

9:22 Vöøa khi Gioâ-ram thaáy Gieâ-hu thì noùi raèng: Hôõi Gieâ-hu, bình yeân chaêng? Nhöng Gieâ-hu ñaùp raèng: Chi! Heã söï gian daâm söï taø thuaät cuûa Gieâ-sa-beân meï vua, coøn nhieàu döøng aáy, thì bình yeân sao ñaëng?

9:23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

9:23 Gioâ-ram beøn trôû tay mình, chaïy troán, noùi vôùi A-cha-xia raèng: ÔÙ A-cha-xia, coù möu phaûn!

9:24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and stroke Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

9:24 Gieâ-hu naém laáy cung mình baén, teân truùng nhaèm Gioâ-ram giöõa hai vai, thaáu ngang traùi tim, vaø ngöôøi ngaõ xuoáng trong xe mình.

9:25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and you rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

9:25 Ñoaïn, Gieâ-hu noùi vôùi Bích-ca, quan töôùng mình raèng: Haõy ñem lieäng haén trong ñoàng ruoäng cuûa Na-boát, ngöôøi Gít-reâ-eân; vì khaù nhôù laïi moät laàn kia ta vaø ngöôi ñoàng côõi ngöïa theo sau A-haùp, cha haén, thì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va coù phaùn veà ngöôøi lôøi lyù ñoaùn naøy:

9:26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, says the LORD; and I will requite you in this portion, says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the portion of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

9:26 Quaû thaät, hoâm qua ta ñaõ thaáy huyeát cuûa Na-boát vaø cuûa caùc con trai ngöôøi; ta cuõng seõ baùo ngöôi laïi taïi chaùnh nôi ñoàng ruoäng naøy. Bôûi coù ñoù, haõy ñem lieäng haén trong ñoàng ruoäng naøy, y nhö lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn.

9:27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Strike him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

9:27 Khi A-cha-xia, vua Giu-ña, thaáy vieäc naøy, beøn chaïy troán veà loái laàu vöôøn. Nhöng Gieâ-hu ñuoåi theo ngöôøi, vaø bieåu raèng: Cuõng haõy ñaùnh cheát haén treân xe haén nöõa. Hoï beøn haõm ñaùnh ngöôøi, taïi nôi doác Gu-rô, gaàn Gíp-leâ-am. Ñoaïn, A-cha-xia troán ñeán Meâ-ghi-ñoâ, vaø cheát taïi ñoù.

9:28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the city of David.

9:28 Caùc toâi tôù ngöôøi ñeå thaây ngöôøi treân moät caùi xe chôû veà Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, vaø choân trong moà ngöôøi, chung cuøng caùc toå phuï ngöôøi, taïi thaønh Ña-vít.

9:29 And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

9:29 A-cha-xia leân ngoâi laøm vua Giu-ña nhaèm naêm thöù möôøi moät ñôøi Gioâ-ram, con trai A-haùp.

9:30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

9:30 Gieâ-hu lieàn ñeán taïi Gít-reâ-eân. Gioâ-sa-beân hay, beøn gioài phaán maët mình, trang ñieåm ñaàu, vaø ñöùng troâng nôi cöûa soå.

9:31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

9:31 Gieâ-hu ñi qua cöûa thaønh, naøng noùi raèng: Hôõi Xim-ri, keû gieát chuùa mình! Bình yeân chaêng?

9:32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

9:32 Gieâ-hu ngöôùc maét leân veà höôùng cöûa soå, noùi raèng: Treân cao kia, ai thuoäc veà ta? Ai? Hai ba quan hoaïn beøn ngoù ra veà höôùng ngöôøi.

9:33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

9:33 Ngöôøi keâu chuùng raèng: Vaäy, haõy neùm noù xuoáng ñaát! Chuùng neùm naøng xuoáng ñaát, vaø huyeát voït laïi treân töôøng vaø treân ngöïa, roài ngöïa giaøy ñaïp naøng döôùi chôn.

9:34 And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

9:34 Gieâ-hu vaøo, aên vaø uoáng xong, ñoaïn noùi raèng: Vaäy, haõy ñi xem ñôøn baø khoán naïn vaø lo choân noù, vì noù laø con gaùi cuûa vua.

9:35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

9:35 Vaäy, caùc toâi tôù ñi ñaëng choân naøng; nhöng chuùng chæ coøn thaáy caùi soï, hai chôn, vaø loøng baøn tay naøng maø thoâi.

9:36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

9:36 Chuùng trôû veà cho chuû mình hay ñieàu ñoù. Gieâ-hu beøn noùi: Aáy laø lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ caäy mieäng EÂ-li, ngöôøi Thi-seâ-be, toâi tôù Ngaøi, maø phaùn raèng: Choù seõ aên thòt Gieâ-sa-beân;

9:37 vaø thaáy naøng seõ nhö phaân treân maët ñaát, trong ruoäng Gít-reâ-eân, ñeán ñoãi ngöôøi ta khoâng theå noùi raèng: Naøy laø Gieâ-sa-beân.

 2 Cac vua - 2 Kings

10:1 And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's children, saying,

10:1 Vaû, taïi Sa-ma-ri, coù baûy möôi con trai cuûa A-haùp, Gieâ-hu vieát thô gôûi ñeán caùc ñaàu muïc cuûa Gít-reâ-eân taïi Sa-ma-ri, töùc laø caùc tröôûng laõo, vaø caùc giaùo sö cuûa nhöõng con trai A-haùp, maø raèng:

10:2 Now as soon as this letter comes to you, seeing your master's sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;

10:2 Taïi nôi caùc ngöôi caùc ngöôi coù nhöõng con trai cuûa chuû caùc ngöôi, laïi coù xe, ngöïa binh khí, vaø thaønh kieân coá. Aáy vaäy, heã caùc ngöôi tieáp ñöôïc thô naày,

10:3 Look even out the best and fittest of your master's sons, and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house.

10:3 haõy choïn trong caùc con trai chuû mình, ai laø ngöôøi töû teá nhaát, coù taøi naêng hôn heát, laäp ngöôøi aáy treân ngoâi cuûa cha ngöôøi, roài tranh chieán vì nhaø chuû cuûa caùc ngöôi.

10:4 But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?

10:4 Chuùng beøn sôï haõi laém, vaø noùi raèng: Hai vua khoâng theá ñöùng noåi tröôùc maët ngöôøi, coøn chuùng ta, choáng cöï vôùi ngöôøi sao noåi?

10:5 And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are your servants, and will do all that you shall bid us; we will not make any king: do you that which is good in yours eyes.

10:5 Quan cai ñeàn vaø quan cai thaønh, cuøng caùc tröôûng laõo vaø caùc giaùo sö cuûa caùc con trai A-haùp, sai noùi vôùi Gieâ-hu raèng: Chuùng toâi laø toâi tôù oâng; chuùng toâi seõ laøm moïi ñieàu oâng bieåu chuùng toâi. Chuùng toâi chaúng muoán choïn ai laøm vua, oâng khaù laøm ñieàu gì theo yù oâng cho laø phaûi.

10:6 Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If all of you be mine, and if all of you will hearken unto my voice, take all of you the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.

10:6 Ngöôøi vieát thô cho chuùng laàn thöù nhì, maø raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi thuoäc veà ta, vaø khöùng nghe theo maïng lònh ta, thì khaù caét ñaàu nhöõng con trai chuû caùc ngöôi; roài ngaøy mai, taïi giôø naøy, haõy ñeán cuøng ta ôû nôi Gít-reâ-eân. 10:7 And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel.

10:7 Chuùng vöøa tieáp ñöôïc böùc thô aáy, beøn baét ñi, ñoaïn ñeå thuû caáp hoï trong nhöõng thuøng, gôûi ñeán cho Gieâ-hu, taïi Gít-reâ-eân.

10:8 And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay all of you them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.

10:8 Coù söù giaû ñeán baùo tin cho ngöôøi, raèng: Ngöôøi ta coù ñem ñeán thuû caáp caùc con trai cuûa vua. Gieâ-hu ñaùp: Haõy chaát laøm hai ñoáng taïi nôi cöûa thaønh cho ñeán saùng mai.

10:9 And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, All of you be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

10:9 Saùng mai, ngöôøi ñi ra, ñöùng tröôùc maët caû daân söï, maø noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi vaãn coâng bình. Kìa, ta ñaõ phaûn nghòch chuû ta, vaø coù gieát ngöôøi; nhöng coøn caùc keû naøy, ai ñaõ gieát hoï?

10:10 Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.

10:10 Vaäy, baây giôø, haõy nhìn bieát raèng: trong caùc lôøi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn veà nhaø A-haùp seõ chaúng coù lôøi naøo sa xuoáng ñaát; vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm ñieàu Ngaøi caäy mieäng EÂ-li, toâi tôù Ngaøi, maø phaùn ra.

10:11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

10:11 Gieâ-hu cuõng gieát heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi coøn soùt laïi trong nhaø A-haùp ôû Gít-reâ-eân, luoân caùc ñaïi thaàn, caùc baïn höõu thieát, vaø nhöõng thaày caû cuûa ngöôøi, chaúng ñeå coøn laïi moät ai heát.

10:13 gaëp caùc anh em A-cha-xia vua Giu-ña, thì noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi laø ai? Chuùng noù ñaùp: Chuùng toâi laø anh em cuûa A-cha-xia, ñi xuoáng chaøo caùc con trai cuûa vua vaø cuûa hoaøng haäu.

10:14 Gieâ-hu beøn truyeàn lònh raèng: Haõy baét soáng chuùng noù. Ngöôøi ta baét soáng chuùng noù, soá laø boán möôi hai ngöôøi; roài gieát hoï gaàn gieáng cuûa choøi keû chaên chieân. Ngöôøi ta chaúng ñeå soáng moät ai.

10:15 And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is yours heart right, as my heart is with your heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me yours hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

10:15 Ñi khoûi ñoù, Gieâ-hu gaëp Gioâ-na-ñaùp, con trai Reâ-caùp, ñöông ñi ñeán ñoùn ngöôøi. 10:16 vaø noùi raèng: Haõy ñeán cuøng toâi, xem loøng soát saéng toâi ñoái vôùi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Vaäy, Gieâ-hu daãn ngöôøi leân xe mình.

10:17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke to Elijah.

10:17 Khi ñaõ vaøo Sa-ma-ri roài, ngöôøi gieát heát thaûy nhöõng ngöôøi coøn soùt laïi cuûa nhaø A-haùp taïi Sa-ma-ri, ñeán ñoãi ñaõ dieät saïch nhaø aáy, y nhö lôøi cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ phaùn cuøng EÂ-li vaäy.

10:18 And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.

10:18 Gieâ-hu nhoùm heát thaûy daân söï, vaø noùi cuøng chuùng raèng: A-haùp ít haàu vieäc Ba-anh; Gieâ-hu seõ haàu vieäc nhieàu.

10:19 Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be lacking: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be lacking, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtlety, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

10:19 Vaäy baây giôø, haõy nhoùm laïi cho ta caùc tieân tri cuûa Ba-anh, caùc ñaày tôù ngöôøi, vaø heát thaûy thaày caû ngöôøi. 10:22 And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.

10:22 Gieâ-hu beøn noùi cuøng ngöôøi giöõ aùo leã raèng: Haõy phaùt caùc aùo leã cho caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ba-anh. Keû aáy beøn phaùt aùo cho chuùng noù.

10:23 And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

10:23 Gieâ-hu vaø Gioâ-na-ñaùp, con trai cuûa Reâ-caùp, vaøo trong mieãu thaàn Ba-anh, noùi vôùi caùc toâi tôù cuûa Ba-anh raèng: Haõy tìm xem cho kyõ, hoaëc ôû ñaây coù toâi tôù naøo cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va chaêng, chæ phaûi coù nhöõng toâi tôù cuûa Ba-anh ñoù thoâi.

10:24 And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

10:24 Chuùng vaøo ñaëng daâng caùc leã vaät vaø cuûa leã thieâu. 10:25 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they stroke them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

10:25 Khi ñaõ daâng cuûa leã thieâu xong, Gieâ-hu noùi vôùi quaân hoä veä vaø caùc quan töôùng raèng: Haõy vaøo gieát chuùng noù, chôù ñeå moät ai ñöôïc ra. vaäy, chuùng gieát hoï baèng löôõi göôm. 12:6 Vaû, ñeán naêm thöù hai möôi ba ñôøi vua Gioâ-aùch, nhöõng thaày teá leã chöa coù söûa sang ñeàn thôø.

12:7 Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair all of you not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

12:7 Vua Gioâ-aùch beøn ñoøi thaày teá leã Gieâ-hoâ-gia-ña vaø nhöõng thaày teá leã khaùc, maø noùi raèng: Sao caùc ngöôi khoâng söûa sang nôi hö nöùt ñeàn thôø? Töø raøy veà sau, chôù nhaän laáy baïc cuûa nhöõng ngöôøi mình quen bieát nöõa; khaù phaùt baïc aáy ra ñaëng duøng söûa sang caùc nôi hö nöùt cuûa ñeàn thôø.

12:8 And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.

12:8 Nhöõng thaày teá leã öng khoâng thaâu baïc nôi daân söï nöõa, vaø khoâng laõnh söûa sang caùc nôi hö nöùt cuûa ñeàn.

12:9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD.

12:9 Thaày teá leã Gieâ-hoâ-gia-ña beøn laáy moät caùi röông, xoi loã treân naép, roài ñeå gaàn baøn thôø, veà phía beân höõu cöûa vaøo ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Nhöõng thaày teá leã canh giöõ cöûa ñeàn thôø ñeàu ñem ñeå trong röông aáy heát thaûy baïc maø ngöôøi ta ñem daâng trong ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

12:10 And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and the high priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD.

12:10 Khi thaáy coù nhieàu tieàn trong röông, thô kyù cuûa vua, vaø thaày teá leã thöôïng phaåm beøn ñi leân laáy baïc coù trong ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ra, maø ñeám, vaø ñem caát.

12:11 And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the LORD,

12:11 Ñoaïn, hai ngöôøi giao baïc ñaõ ñeám ñoù vaøo tay nhöõng ñoác coâng lo coi soùc cuoäc söûa sang ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va. Nhöõng ngöôøi aáy traû tieàn cho thôï moäc vaø thôï xaây,

12:12 And to stone workers, and hewers of stone, and to buy timber and hewed stone to repair the breaches of the house of the LORD, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.

12:12 cho thôï hoà vaø thôï ñeõo ñaù, ñeàu laøm coâng vieäc söûa sang ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; hoï laïi duøng baïc aáy mua goã vaø ñaù duøng söûa sang caùc nôi hö nöùt ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, vaø traû tieàn sôû phí veà cuoäc söûa sang aáy.

12:13 Nevertheless there were not made for the house of the LORD bowls of silver, snuffers, basons, trumpets, any vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the LORD:

12:13 Song ngöôøi ta khoâng duøng baïc ñaõ ñem daâng trong ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, maø laøm cho ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, cheùn baïc, hoaëc dao, chaäu, keøn hay khí duïng gì baèng vaøng hoaëc baèng baïc;

12:14 But they gave that to the workmen, and repaired therewith the house of the LORD.

12:14 vì ngöôøi ta phaùt baïc aáy cho nhöõng thôï lo laøm coâng vieäc, vaø duøng söûa sang ñeàn thôø cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

12:15 Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealt faithfully.

12:15 Ngöôøi ta chaúng baét nhöõng ngöôøi laõnh baïc ñaëng phaùt cho caùc thôï phaûi tính soå, bôûi vì hoï laøm caùch thaønh thöïc.

12:16 The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the priests'.

12:16 Tieàn baïc veà cuûa leã chuoäc söï maéc loãi, vaø tieàn baïc veà cuûa leã chuoäc toäi, thì chaúng coù ñem vaøo ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va; baïc aáy ñeå daønh cho thaày teá leã.

12:17 Then Hazael king of Syria went up, and fought against Gath, and took it: and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.

12:17 Trong luùc ñoù, Ha-xa-eân, vua Sy-ri, ñeán xaâm phaïm ñaát Gaùt, vaø choaùn laáy. Ngöôøi cuõng tính xaâm phaïm Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

12:18 And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king's house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.

12:18 Gioâ-aùch, vua Giu-ña, ñaõ bieät rieâng ra thaùnh, luoân vôùi caùc vaät thaùnh cuûa mình, vaø heát thaûy vaøng ôû trong kho taøng cuûa ñeàn thôø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va vaø cung vua, maø gôûi daâng cho Ha-xa-eân, vua Sy-ri; vì côù aáy, Ha-xa-eân ñi khoûi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

12:19 And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

12:19 Caùc truyeän khaùc cuûa Gioâ-aùch, moïi coâng vieäc ngöôøi laøm, ñeàu ñaõ cheùp trong söû kyù veà caùc vua Giu-ña.

12:20 And his servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goes down to Silla.

12:21 For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, stroke him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his position.

12:21 Gioâ-xa-ca, con trai Soâ-meâ, hai toâi tôù ngöôøi ñeàu ñaùnh gieát ngöôøi. Ngöôøi ta choân ngöôøi cuøng caùc toå phuï ngöôøi taïi trong thaønh Ña-vít; roài A-ma-xia, con trai ngöôøi, keá vò ngöôøi.
