Ca thuong - Lamentations

1:1 How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

1:1 Thaønh naày xöa voán ñoâng daân laém, kìa nay ngoài moät mình! Xöa voán laøm lôùn giöõa caùc daân, nay nhö ñôøn baø goùa! Xöa voán laøm nöõ chuû caùc quaän, nay phaûi noäp thueá khoùa!

1:2 She weeps sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.

1:2 Noù khoùc nöùc nôû ban ñeâm, nöôùc maét traøn ñoâi maù. Moïi keû yeâu meán noù, chaúng ai yeân uûi noù. Baïn beø noù phaûn noù, ñeàu trôû neân nghòch thuø.

1:3 Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwells among the heathen, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

1:3 Giu-ña ñi laøm phu tuø, vì chòu naïn cuøng chòu sai dòch naëng neà. ÔÛ ñaäu giöõa caùc daân, chaúng ñöôïc chuùt nghæ ngôi. Nhöõng keû baét bôù ñuoåi theo noù, theo kòp noù nôi eo heïp.

1:4 The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

1:4 Caùc ñöôøng loái Si-oân ñöông thaûm saàu, vì chaúng ai ñeán döï kyø leã troïng theå nöõa. Moïi cöûa thaønh hoang vu; caùc thaày teá leã thôû than; Caùc gaùi ñoàng trinh noù bò khoán naïn, chính noù phaûi chòu cay ñaéng.

1:5 Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.

1:5 Keû ñoái ñòch noù trôû neân ñaàu, keû thuø nghòch noù ñöôïc thaïnh vöôïng; Vì Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laøm khoán khoå noù, bôûi côù toäi loãi noù nhieàu laém. Con nhoû noù bò keû nghòch baét ñieäu ñi laøm phu tuø.

1:6 And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

1:6 Con gaùi Si-oân ñaõ maát heát moïi söï laøm cho mình vinh hoa. Caùc quan tröôûng noù nhö nai chaúng tìm ñöôïc ñoàng coû, Chaïy troán kieät caû söùc tröôùc maët keû ñuoåi theo.

1:7 Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.

1:7 Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ñöông ngaøy khoán khoå löu ly, nhôù xöa traûi moïi muøi vui thích; Khi daân noù sa vaøo tay keû nghòch, chaúng ai ñeán cöùu cuøng. Quaân thuø xem thaáy noù, cheâ cöôøi noù hoang vu!

1:8 Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sighs, and turns backward.

1:8 Gieâ-ru-sa-lem phaïm toäi troïng, bôûi ñoù trôû neân söï oâ ueá. Moïi keû toân kính ñeàu khinh deå, vì thaáy noù traàn truoàng. Noù töï mình thôû than, trôû lui.

1:9 Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembers not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy has magnified himself.

1:9 Vaùy noù dô baån; noù chaúng nghó söï cuoái cuøng mình! Söï sa suùt noù khaùc thöôøng, chaúng ai yeân uûi noù! Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin xem söï kieân nhaãn toâi, vì keû thuø ñaõ töï toân mình laøm lôùn.

1:10 The adversary has spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she has seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom you did command that they should not enter into your congregation.

1:10 Keû thuø ñaõ giô tay treân moïi vaät toát noù; Vì noù ñaõ thaáy caùc daân ngoaïi xoâng vaøo nôi thaùnh noù. Veà daân ngoaïi aáy Ngaøi coù truyeàn: chaúng ñöôïc vaøo hoäi Ngaøi.

1:11 All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for food to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.

1:11 Caû daân noù vöøa ñi xin baùnh, vöøa thôû than; Ñoåi heát söï vui laáy thöùc aên, ñeå töôi tænh linh hoàn mình. Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin ñoaùi xem, vì toâi ñaõ neân khinh heøn!

1:12 Is it nothing to you, all you that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

1:12 Hôõi moïi ngöôøi ñi qua, haù chaúng laáy laøm quan heä sao? Xeùt xem coù söï buoàn böïc naøo ñoï ñöôïc söï buoàn böïc ñaõ laøm cho ta, Maø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm khoán cho ta nôi ngaøy Ngaøi noåi giaän phöøng phöøng.

1:13 From above has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them: he has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: he has made me desolate and faint all the day.

1:13 Ngaøi ñaõ giaùng löûa töø treân cao, vaø xöông coát ta vaø thaéng ñöôïc. Ngaøi ñaõ giaêng löôùi döôùi chôn ta, laøm cho ta thoái lui. Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho ta neân ñôn chieác, haèng ngaøy bò hao moøn.

1:14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he has made my strength to fall, the LORD has delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.

1:14 Aùch cuûa toäi loãi ta Ngaøi buoäc tay vaøo, Caû boù chaát naëng coå ta, Ngaøi ñaõ beû gaõy söùc maïnh ta. Chuùa ñaõ phoù ta trong tay chuùng noù, maø ta khoâng choáng cöï ñöôïc!

1:15 The LORD has trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he has called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the LORD has trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

1:15 Chuùa ñaõ laøm neân hö khoâng lính chieán ôû giöõa ta. Ngaøi ñaõ nhoùm hoäi lôùn nghòch cuøng ta, ñaëng nghieàn keû trai treû ta. Chuùa ñaõ giaøy ñaïp nhö trong baøn eùp con gaùi ñoàng trinh cuûa Giu-ña.

1:16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runs down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.

1:16 Vaäy neân ta khoùc loùc; maét ta tuoân nöôùc maét; Vì keû yeân uûi laøm tænh hoàn ta thì ñaõ xa ta. Con caùi ta bò ñôn chieác, vì keû thuø ñaõ thaéng traän.

1:17 Zion spreads forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD has commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.

1:17 Si-oân giô tay, chaúng ai yeân uûi noù; Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ truyeàn veà Gia-coáp: nhöõng keû chung quanh noù nghòch cuøng noù. Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ôû giöõa chuùng noù nhö moät söï oâ ueá.

1:18 The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

1:18 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va laø coâng bình, vì ta ñaõ baïn nghòch cuøng maïng Ngaøi. Hôõi caùc daân, xin haõy nghe heát thaûy, haõy xem söï buoàn böïc ta! Gaùi ñoàng trinh vaø trai treû ta ñaõ ñi laøm phu tuø.

1:19 I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the spirit in the city, while they sought their food to relieve their souls.

1:19 Ta ñaõ keâu goïi nhöõng keû yeâu meán ta, nhöng hoï löøa doái ta. Caùc thaày teá leã vaø tröôûng laõo ñaõ taét hôi trong thaønh, Khi hoï tim ñoà aên ñeå töôi tænh linh hoàn mình.

1:20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaves, at home there is as death.

1:20 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin ñoaùi xem, vì toâi gaëp hoaïn naïn; loøng toâi boái roái; Traùi tim toâi chuyeån ñoäng, vì toâi baïn nghòch laém laém! ÔÛ ngoaøi coù göôm dao laøm cho maát, trong nhaø coù söï töû vong.

1:21 They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: you will bring the day that you have called, and they shall be like unto me.

1:21 Ngöôøi ta nghe tieáng toâi than thôû, chaúng ai heà yeân uûi. Moïi keû thuø nghe tin toâi bò naïn, bieát Ngaøi ñaõ laøm thì möøng rôõ. Ngaøy Ngaøi ñaõ rao, Ngaøi seõ khieán ñeán! chuùng noù seõ gioáng nhö toâi!

1:22 Let all their wickedness come before you; and do unto them, as you have done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

1:22 Nguyeàn cho moïi toäi chuùng noù baøy ra tröôùc maët Ngaøi! Xin ñaõi chuùng noù nhö ñaõi toâi bôûi cöù moïi toäi loãi toâi; Vì toâi than thôû nhieàu, vaø loøng toâi moøn moûi.

 Ca thuong - Lamentations

2:1 How has the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

2:2 The LORD has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: he has thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he has brought them down to the ground: he has polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.

2:2 Chuùa ñaõ nuoát ñi, chaúng thöông xoùt, heát thaûy choã ôû cuûa Gia-coáp. Ngaøi nhôn giaän ñaõ ñoå ñoàn luõy con gaùi Giu-ña; Ngaøi ñaõ xoâ cho ñoå xuoáng ñaát, laøm nhuïc nöôùc vaø quan tröôûng trong nöôùc.

2:3 He has cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours round about.

2:3 Trong côn noùng giaän, Ngaøi chaët heát söøng cuûa Y-sô-ra-eân. Ngaøi ñaõ ruùt tay höõu laïi töø tröôùc maët keû nghòch thuø. Ngaøi ñaõ ñoát chaùy Gia-coáp nhö löûa höøng thieâu nuoát caû tö beà.

2:4 He has bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.

2:5 The LORD was as an enemy: he has swallowed up Israel, he has swallowed up all her palaces: he has destroyed his strong holds, and has increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.

2:5 Chuùa ñaõ trôû neân nhö keû nghòch ñaõ nuoát Y-sô-ra-eân; Nuoát caû cung ñeàn, phaù tan ñoàn luõy; Laøm cho con gaùi Giu-ña theâm tang cheá thaûm thöông.

2:6 And he has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he has destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD has caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.

2:6 Ngaøi ñaõ caát nhaø taïm mình ñi caùch maïnh baïo nhö thuoäc veà vöôøn; laïi ñaõ huûy nôi hoäi hoïp Ngaøi. Taïi Si-oân, Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ khieán ngaøy hoäi troïng theå cuøng Sa-baùt bò queân ñi; Trong côn noùng giaän, Ngaøi khinh deå vua vaø thaày teá leã.

2:7 The LORD has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary, he has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

2:7 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ boû baøn thôø, laïi gôùm nôi thaùnh; Ngaøi ñaõ phoù thaønh quaùch cung ñieän Si-oân vaøo trong tay quaân nghòch. Chuùng noù laøm om soøm trong nhaø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va nhö trong ngaøy hoäi troïng theå.

2:8 The LORD has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he has stretched out a line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.

2:8 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ ñònh phaù huûy töôøng thaønh cuûa con gaùi Si-oân; Ngaøi ñaõ giaêng daây möïc, chaúng ngöøng tay veà söï phaù dieät; Ngaøi laøm cho luõy vaø töôøng thaûm saàu hao moøn cuøng nhau.

2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

2:9 Caùc cöûa noù suïp trong ñaát; Ngaøi ñaõ phaù vaø beû caùc then choát. Vua vaø quan tröôûng noù ôû giöõa caùc nöôùc laø nôi chaúng coù phaùp luaät! Chính mình caùc tieân tri chaúng tìm ñöôïc töø Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va söï hieän thaáy chi.

2:10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

2:10 Caùc keû giaø caû gaùi Si-oân nín laëng ngoài döôùi ñaát; Ñaàu ñoå tro buïi, mình maëc bao gai. Caùc gaùi ñoàng trinh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem guïc ñaàu ñeán ñaát.

2:11 Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.

2:11 Maét ta hao moøn vì chaûy nöôùc maét, loøng ta boái roái; Gan ta ñoå treân ñaát, vì söï huûy dieät con gaùi daân ta. Vì con treû vaø caùc con ñöông buù, ngaát ñi nôi caùc ñöôøng phoá trong thaønh.

2:12 They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.

2:12 Chuùng noù noùi cuøng meï mình raèng: tìm thoùc vaø röôïu ôû ñaâu? Khi nhaát ñi nhö keû bò thöông, nôi caùc ñöôøng phoá trong thaønh; Vaø khi chuùng noù taét hôi treân loøng meï mình.

2:13 What thing shall I take to witness for you? what thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? for your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?

2:13 Ta laøm chöùng gì cho ngöôi? Hôõi gaùi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, ta keå thí duï chi? Ta laáy gì saùnh cuøng ngöôi ñaëng yeân uûi ngöôi, hôõi con gaùi ñoàng trinh Si-oân? Söï phaù haïi ngöôi to nhö bieån: ai söûa sang laïi ñöôïc?

2:14 Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you: and they have not discovered yours iniquity, to turn away your captivity; but have seen for you false burdens and causes of banishment.

2:14 Caùc tieân tri ngöôi xem cho ngöôi nhöõng söï hieän thaáy giaû doái vaø ngu daïi. Chaúng toû ra toäi loãi ngöôi, ñaëng ñem phu tuø ngöôi trôû veà. Chæ thaáy cho ngöôi nhöõng lôøi tieân tri doái vaø söï laøm côù cho ngöôi bò ñuoåi.

2:15 All that pass by clap their hands at you; they hiss and shake their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?

2:15 Nhöõng ngöôøi qua ñöôøng thaáy ngöôi thì voã tay; Xæ baùng laéc ñaàu vì thaáy gaùi Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, Noùi raèng: Coù phaûi naày laø thaønh maø ngöôøi ta goïi laø söï ñeïp ñeõ troïn veïn, söï vui möøng cuûa caû ñaát chaêng?

2:16 All yours enemies have opened their mouth against you: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.

2:16 Moïi keû thuø nghòch ngöôi haû mieäng roäng nghòch cuøng ngöôi, Xæ baùng, nghieán raêng, raèng: Chuùng ta ñaõ nuoát noù! Naày chaéc laø ngaøy chuùng ta troâng ñôïi, chuùng ta ñaõ tìm ñöôïc, ñaõ thaáy roài!

2:17 The LORD has done that which he had devised; he has fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he has thrown down, and has not pitied: and he has caused yours enemy to rejoice over you, he has set up the horn of yours adversaries.

2:17 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm söï mình ñònh; ñaõ laøm troïn lôøi maø xöa kia mình ñaõ truyeàn; Ngaøi ñaõ laät ñoå chaúng thöông xoùt, Ñaõ laøm cho keû thuø ngöôi vui vì côù ngöôi, khieán söøng keû ñòch ngöôi caát leân.

2:18 Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give yourself no rest; let not the apple of yours eye cease.

2:18 Loøng daân ngöôi keâu van ñeán Chuùa. Hôõi töôøng thaønh con gaùi Si-oân, haõy cho nöôùc maét ngöôi ngaøy ñeâm chaûy nhö soâng! Ñöøng cho nghæ ngôi; con ngöôi maét ngöôøi chaúng thoâi.

2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out yours heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

2:19 Haõy choåi daäy keâu van luùc ban ñeâm, vöøa ñaàu caùc phieân canh; Ñoå loøng ra nhö nöôùc ôû tröôùc maët Chuùa. Haõy giô tay höôùng veà Chuùa vì söï soáng con nhoû ngöôi, chuùng noù ngaát ñi vì ñoùi nôi goùc phoá.

2:20 Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom you have done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

2:20 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin ñoaùi xem! Ngaøi ñaõ heà ñaõi ai nhö theá? Ñôøn baø haù aên traùi ruoät mình, töùc con caùi aüm trong tay ö? Thaày teá leã cuøng tieân tri, haù neân gieát trong nôi thaùnh Chuùa ö?

2:21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; you have slain them in the day of yours anger; you have killed, and not pitied.

2:21 Nhöõng ngöôøi treû vaø giaø naèm saûi treân ñaát trong ñöôøng phoá. Nhöõng gaùi treû vaø trai treû ta ñeàu ngaõ döôùi muõi göôm. Ngaøi gieát ñi nôi ngaøy thaïnh noä, tru dieät chaúng xoùt thöông.

2:22 You have called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up has mine enemy consumed.

2:22 Ngaøi ñaõ nhoùm nhö ngaøy hoäi troïng theå nhöõng söï kinh haõi cuûa toâi moïi beà. Nôi ngaøy thaïnh noä cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, chaúng ai thoaùt khoûi vaø soùt laïi. Nhöõng keû toâi ñaõ boàng aüm vaø thaáy lôùn leân, heát thaûy ñaõ bò quaân nghòch huûy haïi.

3:9 Laáy nhöõng ñaù ñeõo laáp loái ta; Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho ñöôøng neûo ta quanh queïo.

3:10 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

3:10 Ngaøi ñoái vôùi ta nhö gaáu rình raäp, nhö sö töû nôi kín ñaùo;

3:14 Ta laøm troø cöôøi cho caû daân ta, hoï laáy ta laøm baøi haùt caû ngaøy.

3:15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunken with wormwood.

3:17 Ngaøi khieán hoàn ta xa söï bình an, ta ñaõ queân phöôùc laønh.

3:18 And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:

3:18 Ta raèng: Heát söùc maïnh ta, döùt loøng troâng ñôïi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va.

3:19 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

3:21 Ta nhôù laïi söï ñoù, thì coù söï troâng mong:

3:31 For the LORD will not cast off for ever:

3:32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

3:32 Daàu Ngaøi ñaõ laøm cho lo buoàn, coøn seõ thöông xoùt theo söï dö daät cuûa loøng nhôn töø Ngaøi;

3:39 Wherefore does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

3:39 Côù sao ngöôøi ñang soáng phaøn naøn vì chòu hình phaït veà toäi loãi mình?

3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and return to the LORD.

 Ca thuong - Lamentations

4:1 How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.

4:1 Than oâi! vaøng môø toái, vaøng roøng bieán ñoåi döôøng naøo! Ñaù nôi thaùnh ñoå ra nôi moïi goùc ñöôøng phoá!

4:2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

4:2 Caùc con trai cuûa Si-oân quí baùu khaùc naøo vaøng roøng, Nay coi nhö bình ñaát seùt laø vieäc cuûa tay thôï goám laøm!

4:3 Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

4:3 Chính caùc choù röøng coøn ñöa vuù ra cho con noù ñaëng cho buù; Song con gaùi daân ta trôû neân hung döõ nhö chim ñaø ôû nôi ñoàng vaéng.

4:4 The tongue of the nursing infant cleaves to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaks it unto them.

4:4 Con môùi ñeû khao khaùt laém, löôõi noù dính vôùi cuùa hoïng. Treû nhoû ñoøi baùnh chaúng ai beû cho.

4:5 They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.

4:5 Nhöõng ngöôøi quen neám muøi cao löông ñôn chieác trong caùc ñöôøng phoá; Nhöõng keû döôõng nuoâi trong ñoà ñieàu ñoû, nay oâm laáy ñoáng phaân tro.

4:6 For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

4:6 Toäi loãi con gaùi daân ta lôùn hôn toäi loãi Soâ-ñoâm, Laø thaønh bò ñoå nhö trong giaây phuùt, chaúng ai giô tay ra treân noù.

4:7 Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more rosy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:

4:8 Nay maët ñen hôn than: chaúng ai nhaän bieát trong ñöôøng phoá; Coøn xöông boïc laáy da; khoâ ran nhö khuùc goã.

4:9 They that be slain with the sword are better than they that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for lack of the fruits of the field.

4:9 Nhöõng ngöôøi bò göôm gieát may hôn keû bò cheát ñoùi: Vì thieáu saûn vaät ngoaøi ñoàng, ngöôøi laàn laàn hao moøn nhö bò ñaâm.

4:11 The LORD has accomplished his fury; he has poured out his fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured the foundations thereof.

4:11 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm troïn söï giaän cuûa Ngaøi, ñoå côn thaïnh noä Ngaøi ra; Ngaøi ñaõ ñoát löûa taïi Si-oân, thieâu nuoát neàn noù.

4:12 The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

4:12 Caùc vua treân ñaát, caû daân cö theá gian, voán chaúng ngôø Keû thuø quaân nghòch seõ traøn vaøo caùc cöûa thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

4:14 Hoï ñi quanh doïc ñöôøng nhö keû muø, bò maùu laøm oâ ueá, Ñeán noãi khoâng ai coù theå rôø ñeán aùo xoáng hoï.

4:15 They cried unto them, Depart all of you; it is unclean; depart, depart, touch not: when they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, They shall no more sojourn there.

4:15 Ngöôøi ta keâu baûo chuùng raèng: Haõy xeâ ra, chaúng saïch. Haõy xeâ ra! xeâ ra! ñöøng rôø ñeán! Khi hoï troán traùnh ñi löu laïc, daân ngoaïi keâu raèng: Chuùng noù seõ khoâng truù nguï ôû ñaây nöõa.

4:16 The anger of the LORD has divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders.

4:16 Côn giaän Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va ñaõ laøm tan laïc chuùng, Ngaøi chaúng ñoaùi xem nöõa. Chuùng noù chaúng neå maët thaày teá leã, cuõng chaúng kính ngöôøi giaø caû.

4:17 As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

4:17 Maét chuùng ta moøn moûi troâng söï cöùu luoáng coâng! Chuùng ta troâng ñôïi höôùng veà moät daân khoâng theå cöùu.

4:18 They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end has come.

4:18 Chuùng noù doøm ngoù chôn chuùng ta, ñeán noãi chuùng ta khoâng böôùc ra nôi ñöôøng phoá. Söï cuoái cuøng chuùng ta ñaõ gaàn! Ngaøy chuùng ta ñaõ troïn! phaûi, söï cuoái cuøng chuùng ta ñaõ ñeán!

4:19 Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

4:19 Keû ñuoåi theo chuùng ta thaät leï hôn con chim öng treân trôøi. Ñuoåi theo chuùng ta treân caùc nuùi, rình raäp chuùng ta trong ñoàng vaéng.

4:20 The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

4:20 Hôi thôû cuûa muõi chuùng ta, töùc laø keû chòu xöùc daàu cuûa Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, thì ñaõ maéc baãy roài, Veà ngöôøi, chuùng ta thöôøng noùi raèng: Chuùng ta naáp döôùi boùng ngöôøi maø soáng giöõa caùc nöôùc.

4:21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto you: you shall be drunken, and shall make yourself naked.

4:21 Hôõi con gaùi EÂ-ñoâm, ôû ñaát Uùt-xô! Haõy vui möøng hôùn hôû, Caùi cheùn cuõng seõ trao ñeán maày, maày seõ say meâ vaø traàn truoàng.

4:22 The punishment of yours iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry you away into captivity: he will visit yours iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover your sins.

4:22 Hôõi con gaùi Si-oân, söï phaït toäi loãi maày ñaõ troïn, Ngaøi khoâng ñaøy maày ñi laøm phu tuø nöõa! Hôõi con gaùi EÂ-ñoâm, Ngaøi seõ thaêm phaït toäi maày; phoâ baøy gian aùc maày!

5:1 Remember, O LORD, what has come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.

5:1 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, xin nhôù söï ñaõ giaùng treân chuùng toâi; Haõy ñoaùi xem söï sæ nhuïc chuùng toâi!

5:2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.

5:2 Saûn nghieäp chuùng toâi ñaõ sang tay daân ngoaïi, Nhaø cöûa thuoäc veà ngöôøi gioáng khaùc.

5:3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

5:3 Chuùng toâi maát cha, phaûi moà coâi, Meï chuùng toâi trôû neân goùa buïa.

5:4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.

5:4 Chuùng toâi uoáng nöôùc phaûi traû tieàn, Phaûi mua môùi coù cuûi.

5:5 Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.

5:5 Keû ñuoåi theo kòp chuùng toâi, chaän coå chuùng toâi; Chuùng toâi ñaõ moûi meät roài, chaúng ñöôïc nghæ!

5:6 We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.

5:6 Chuùng toâi giang tay höôùng veà nhöõng ngöôøi EÂ-díp-toâ Vaø A-si-ri, ñaëng coù baùnh aên no neâ.

5:7 Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.

5:7 Toå phuï chuùng toâi ñaõ phaïm toäi, nay khoâng coøn nöõa. Chuùng toâi ñaõ mang laáy söï gian aùc hoï.

5:8 Servants have ruled over us: there is none that does deliver us out of their hand.

5:8 Keû ñaày tôù cai trò chuùng toâi, Chaúng ai cöùu chuùng toâi khoûi tay hoï.

5:9 We got our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.

5:9 Chuùng toâi lieàu maïng môùi coù baùnh maø aên, Vì côù muõi göôm nôi ñoàng vaéng.

5:10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

5:10 Da chuùng toâi noùng nhö loø löûa, Vì côn ñoùi thieâu ñoát chuùng toâi!

5:11 They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.

5:11 Chuùng noù ñaõ laøm nhuïc ñôøn baø taïi Si-oân, Vaø gaùi ñoàng trinh trong caùc thaønh Giu-ña.

5:12 Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.

5:12 Tay chuùng noù ñaõ treo caùc quan tröôûng leân, Chaúng kính troïng maët caùc ngöôøi giaø caû.

5:13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.

5:13 Keû trai traùng ñaõ phaûi mang coái, Treû con vaáp ngaõ döôùi gaùnh cuûi.

5:14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.

5:14 Caùc ngöôøi giaø caû khoâng coøn ngoài nôi cöûa thaønh, Boïn trai treû khoâng coøn chôi ñôøn haùt.

5:15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.

5:15 Loøng chuùng toâi heát caû söï vui; Cuoäc nhaûy muùa ñoåi ra tang cheá.

5:16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

5:16 Maõo trieàu thieân rôi khoûi ñaàu chuùng toâi, Khoán cho chuùng toâi, vì chuùng toâi phaïm toäi!

5:17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.

5:17 Vì vaäy loøng chuùng toâi moøn moûi, Maét chuùng toâi môø toái,

5:18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.

5:18 Vì nuùi Si-oân ñaõ trôû neân hoang vu, Choàn caùo ñi laïi treân ñoù.

5:19 You, O LORD, remain for ever; your throne from generation to generation.

5:19 Hôõi Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va, Ngaøi coøn ñôøi ñôøi, Ngoâi Ngaøi coøn töø ñôøi naày sang ñôøi kia!

5:20 Wherefore do you forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?

5:20 Sao Ngaøi queân chuùng toâi maõi maõi, Lìa boû chuùng toâi laâu vaäy?

5:21 Turn you us unto you, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
