Giang - John

1:1 In the beginning was the Word, (o. logos) and the Word (o. logos) was with God, and the Word (o. logos) was God.

1:1 Ban ñaàu coù Ngoâi Lôøi, Ngoâi Lôøi ôû cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø Ngoâi Lôøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1:2 Ban ñaàu Ngaøi ôû cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1:3 Muoân vaät bôûi Ngaøi laøm neân, chaúng vaät chi ñaõ laøm neân maø khoâng bôûi Ngaøi.

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

1:4 Trong Ngaøi coù söï soáng, söï soáng laø söï saùng cuûa loaøi ngöôøi.

1:5 And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1:5 Söï saùng soi trong toái taêm, toái taêm chaúng heà nhaän laáy söï saùng.

1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

1:6 Coù moät ngöôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi sai ñeán, teân laø Giaêng.

1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

1:7 Ngöôøi ñeán ñeå laøm chöùng veà söï saùng, haàu cho bôûi ngöôøi ai naáy ñeàu tin.

1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

1:8 Chính ngöôøi chaúng phaûi laø söï saùng, song ngöôøi phaûi laøm chöùng veà söï saùng.

1:9 That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world.

1:9 Söï saùng naày laø söï saùng thaät, khi ñeán theá gian soi saùng moïi ngöôøi.

1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

1:10 Ngoâi Lôøi ôû theá gian, vaø theá gian ñaõ laøm neân bôûi Ngaøi; nhöng theá gian chaúng töøng nhìn bieát Ngaøi.

1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

1:11 Ngaøi ñaõ ñeán trong xöù mình, song daân mình chaúng heà nhaän laáy.

1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

1:12 Nhöng heã ai ñaõ nhaän Ngaøi, thì Ngaøi ban cho quyeàn pheùp trôû neân con caùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø ban cho nhöõng keû tin danh Ngaøi,

1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

1:13 laø keû chaúng phaûi sanh bôûi khí huyeát, hoaëc bôûi tình duïc, hoaëc bôûi yù ngöôøi, nhöng sanh bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaäy.

1:14 And the Word (o. logos) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1:14 Ngoâi Lôøi ñaõ trôû neân xaùc thòt, ôû giöõa chuùng ta, ñaày ôn vaø leõ thaät; chuùng ta ñaõ ngaém xem söï vinh hieån cuûa Ngaøi, thaät nhö vinh hieån cuûa Con moät ñeán töø nôi Cha.

1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spoke, He that comes after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

1:15 Giaêng laøm chöùng veà Ngaøi khi keâu leân raèng: Aáy laø veà Ngaøi maø ta ñaõ noùi: Ñaáng ñeán sau ta troåi hôn ta, vì Ngaøi voán tröôùc ta.

1:16 And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.

1:16 Vaû, bôûi söï ñaày daãy cuûa Ngaøi maø chuùng ta ñeàu coù nhaän ñöôïc, vaø ôn caøng theâm ôn.

1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

1:17 Vì luaät phaùp ñaõ ban cho bôûi Moâi-se, coøn ôn vaø leõ thaät bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ maø ñeán.

1:18 No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

1:18 Chaúng heà ai thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; chæ Con moät ôû trong loøng Cha, laø Ñaáng ñaõ giaûi baøy Cha cho chuùng ta bieát.

1:19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?

1:19 Naày laø lôøi chöùng cuûa Giaêng, khi daân Giu-ña sai maáy thaày teá leã, maáy ngöôøi Leâ-vi töø thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeán hoûi ngöôøi raèng: Oâng laø ai?

1:20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

1:20 Ngöôøi xöng ra, chaúng choái chi heát, xöng raèng mình khoâng phaûi laø Ñaáng Christ.

1:21 And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No.

1:21 Hoï laïi hoûi: Vaäy thì oâng laø ai? phaûi laø EÂ-li chaêng? Ngöôøi traû lôøi: Khoâng phaûi. Oâng phaûi laø ñaáng tieân tri chaêng: Ngöôøi traû lôøi: Khoâng phaûi.

1:22 Then said they unto him, Who are you? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What says you of yourself?

1:22 Hoï beøn noùi: Vaäy thì oâng laø ai? haàu cho chuùng toâi traû lôøi cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi ñaõ sai chuùng toâi ñeán. Oâng töï xöng mình laø ai:

1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

1:23 Ngöôøi traû lôøi: Ta laø tieáng cuûa ngöôøi keâu trong ñoàng vaéng raèng: Haõy ban ñöôøng cuûa Chuùa cho baèng, nhö ñaáng tieân tri EÂ-sai ñaõ noùi.

1:24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

1:24 Nhöõng keû chòu sai ñeán cuøng Giaêng ñeàu laø ngöôøi Pha-ri-si.

1:25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptize you then, if you be not that Christ, nor Elijah, neither that prophet?

1:25 Hoï laïi hoûi raèng: Neáu oâng chaúng phaûi Ñaáng Christ, chaúng phaûi EÂ-li, chaúng phaûi ñaáng tieân tri, thì côù sao oâng laøm pheùp baùp tem?

1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there stands one among you, whom all of you know not;

1:26 Giaêng traû lôøi: Veà phaàn ta, ta laøm pheùp baùp tem baèng nöôùc; nhöng coù moät Ñaáng ôû giöõa caùc ngöôi maø caùc ngöôi khoâng bieát.

1:27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

1:27 Aáy laø Ñaáng ñeán sau ta, ta chaúng ñaùng môû daây giaøy Ngaøi.

1:28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

1:28 Nhöõng vieäc ñoù ñaõ xaûy ra taïi thaønh Beâ-tha-ni, beân kia soâng Gioâ-ñanh, laø nôi Giaêng laøm pheùp baùp tem.

1:29 The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

1:29 Qua ngaøy sau, Giaêng thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñeán cuøng mình, thì noùi raèng: Kìa, Chieân con cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laø Ñaáng caát toäi loãi theá gian ñi.

1:30 This is he of whom I said, After me comes a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

1:30 Aáy veà Ñaáng ñoù maø ta ñaõ noùi: Coù moät ngöôøi ñeán sau ta, troåi hôn ta, vì ngöôøi voán tröôùc ta.

1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

1:31 Veà phaàn ta, ta voán chaúng bieát Ngaøi; nhöng ta ñaõ ñeán laøm pheùp baùp-tem baèng nöôùc, ñeå Ngaøi ñöôïc toû ra cho daân Y-sô-ra-eân.

1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit (o. pneuma) descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

1:32 Giaêng laïi coøn laøm chöùng naày nöõa: Ta ñaõ thaáy Thaùnh Linh töø trôøi giaùng xuoáng nhö chim boø caâu, ñaäu treân mình Ngaøi.

1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit (o. pneuma) descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizes with the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

1:33 Veà phaàn ta, ta voán khoâng bieát Ngaøi; nhöng Ñaáng sai ta laøm pheùp baùp-tem baèng nöôùc coù phaùn cuøng ta raèng: Ñaáng maø ngöôi seõ thaáy Thaùnh Linh ngöï xuoáng ñaäu leân treân, aáy laø Ñaáng laøm pheùp baùp-tem baèng Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh.

1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

1:34 Ta ñaõ thaáy neân ta laøm chöùng raèng: Aáy chính Ngaøi laø Con Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

1:35 Ngaøy mai, Giaêng laïi ôû ñoù vôùi hai moân ñoà mình;

1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God!

1:36 nhìn Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi ngang qua, beøn noùi raèng: Kìa, Chieân con cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi!

1:37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

1:37 Hai moân ñoà nghe lôøi ñoù, beøn ñi theo Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.

1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and says unto them, What seek all of you? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwell you?

1:38 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus vöøa xaây laïi, thaáy hai ngöôøi ñi theo mình, thì phaùn raèng: Caùc ngöôi tìm chi? Thöa raèng: Ra-bi (nghóa laø Thaày), Thaày ôû ñaâu?

1:39 He says unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

1:39 Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Haõy ñeán xem. Vaäy, hai ngöôøi ñi, thaáy nôi Ngaøi ôû, vaø ôû laïi cuøng Ngaøi trong ngaøy ñoù; luùc baáy giôø ñoä chöøng giôø thöù möôøi.

1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

1:40 Trong hai ngöôøi ñaõ nghe ñieàu Giaêng noùi vaø ñi theo Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñoù, moät laø Anh-reâ, em cuûa Si-moân Phi -e-rô.

1:41 He first finds his own brother Simon, and says unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

1:41 Tröôùc heát ngöôøi gaëp anh mình laø Si-moân, thì noùi raèng: Chuùng ta ñaõ gaëp Ñaáng Meâ-si (nghóa laø Ñaáng Christ).

1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, You are Simon the son of Jona: you shall be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

1:42 Ngöôøi beøn daãn Si-moân ñeán cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus. Ngaøi vöøa ngoù thaáy Si-moân, lieàn phaùn raèng: Ngöôi laø Si-moân, con cuûa Gioâ-na; ngöôi seõ ñöôïc goïi laø Seâ-pha (nghóa laø Phi -e-rô).

1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and finds Philip, and says unto him, Follow me.

1:43 Qua ngaøy sau, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus muoán qua xöù Ga-li-leâ, tìm Phi-líp, maø phaùn raèng: Haõy theo ta.

1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

1:44 Vaû, Phi-líp laø ngöôøi Beát-sai-ña, ñoàng thaønh vôùi Anh-reâ vaø Phi -e-rô.

1:45 Philip finds Nathanael, and says unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

1:45 Phi-líp gaëp Na-tha-na-eân, noùi vôùi ngöôøi raèng: Chuùng ta ñaõ gaëp Ñaáng maø Moâi-se coù cheùp trong luaät phaùp, vaø caùc ñaáng tieân tri cuõng coù noùi ñeán; aáy laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ôû Na-xa-reùt, con cuûa Gioâ-seùp.

1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip says unto him, Come and see.

1:46 Na-tha-na-eân noùi raèng: Haù coù vaät gì toát ra töø Na-xa-reùt ñöôïc sao? Phi-líp noùi: Haõy ñeán xem.

1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and says of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

1:47 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus thaáy Na-tha-na-eân ñeán cuøng mình, beøn phaùn veà ngöôøi raèng: Naày, moät ngöôøi Y-sô-ra-eân thaät, trong ngöôøi khoâng coù ñieàu doái traù chi heát.

1:48 Nathanael says unto him, Whence know you me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.

1:48 Na-tha-na-eân thöa raèng: Bôûi ñaâu thaày bieát toâi? Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Tröôùc khi Phi-líp goïi ngöôi, ta ñaõ thaáy ngöôi luùc ôû döôùi caây vaû.

1:49 Nathanael answered and says unto him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.

1:49 Na-tha-na-eân laïi noùi: Laïy thaày, thaày laø Con Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thaày laø Vua daân Y-sô-ra-eân!

1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto you, I saw you under the fig tree, believe you? you shall see greater things than these.

1:50 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Vì ta ñaõ phaùn cuøng ngöôi raèng ta thaáy ngöôi döôùi caây vaû, thì ngöôi tin; ngöôi seõ thaáy vieäc lôùn hôn ñieàu ñoù!

1:51 And he says unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter all of you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

1:51 Ngaøi laïi phaùn: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, caùc ngöôi seõ thaáy trôøi môû ra, vaø thieân söù cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi leân xuoáng treân Con ngöôøi.

 Giang - John

2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2:1 Caùch ba ngaøy sau, coù ñaùm cöôùi taïi thaønh Ca-na, trong xöù Ga-li-leâ, vaø meï Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus coù taïi ñoù.

2:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

2:2 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus cuõng ñöôïc môøi ñeán döï ñaùm vôùi moân ñoà Ngaøi.

2:3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus says unto him, They have no wine.

2:3 Vöøa khi thieáu röôïu, meï Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus noùi vôùi Ngaøi raèng: Ngöôøi ta khoâng coù röôïu nöõa.

2:4 Jesus says unto her, Woman, what have I to do with you? mine hour is not yet come.

2:4 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Hôõi ñôøn baø kia, ta vôùi ngöôi coù söï gì chaêng? Giôø ta chöa ñeán.

2:5 His mother says unto the servants, Whatsoever he says unto you, do it.

2:5 Meï Ngaøi noùi vôùi nhöõng keû haàu baøn raèng: Ngöôøi bieåu chi, haõy vaâng theo caû.

2:6 And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

2:6 Vaû, taïi ñoù coù saùu caùi cheù ñaù, ñònh duøng veà söï röûa saïch cho ngöôøi Giu-ña, moãi caùi chöùa hai ba löôøng nöôùc.

2:7 Jesus says unto them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

2:7 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus bieåu hoï raèng: Haõy ñoå nöôùc ñaày nhöõng cheù naày; thì hoï ñoå ñaày tôùi mieäng.

2:8 And he says unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

2:8 Ngaøi beøn phaùn raèng: Baây giôø haõy muùc ñi, ñem cho keû coi tieäc. Hoï beøn ñem cho.

2:9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

2:9 Luùc keû coi tieäc neám nöôùc ñaõ bieán thaønh röôïu (vaû, ngöôøi khoâng bieát röôïu naày ñeán bôûi ñaâu, coøn nhöõng keû haàu baøn coù muùc nöôùc thì bieát roõ), beøn goïi chaøng reå,

2:10 And says unto him, Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now.

2:10 maø noùi raèng: Moïi ngöôøi ñeàu ñaõi röôïu ngon tröôùc, sau khi ngöôøi ta uoáng nhieàu roài, thì keá ñeán röôïu vöøa vöøa. Coøn ngöôi, ngöôi laïi giöõ röôïu ngon ñeán baây giôø.

2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

2:11 Aáy laø taïi Ca-na, trong xöù Ga-li-leâ, maø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laøm pheùp laï thöù nhaát, vaø toû baøy söï vinh hieån cuûa mình nhö vaäy; moân ñoà beøn tin Ngaøi.

2:12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

2:12 Sau vieäc ñoù, Ngaøi vôùi meï, anh em, vaø moân ñoà Ngaøi ñeàu xuoáng thaønh Ca-beâ-na-um; vaø chæ ôû ñoù ít ngaøy thoâi.

2:13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

2:13 Leã Vöôït Qua cuûa daân Giu-ña haàu ñeán; Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

2:14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

2:14 Trong ñeàn thôø, Ngaøi thaáy coù ngöôøi buoân baùn boø, chieân, boø caâu, vaø coù ngöôøi ñoåi baïc doïn haøng ôû ñoù.

2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

2:15 Ngaøi beän moät caùi roi baèng daây, beøn ñuoåi heát thaûy khoûi ñeàn thôø, chieân vaø boø nöõa; vaûi tieàn ngöôøi ñoåi baïc vaø ñoå baøn cuûa hoï.

2:16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things behind; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

2:16 Ngaøi phaùn cuøng keû baùn boø caâu raèng: Haõy caát boû ñoà ñoù khoûi ñaây, ñöøng laøm cho nhaø Cha ta thaønh ra nhaø buoân baùn.

2:17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of yours house has eaten me up.

2:17 Moân ñoà Ngaøi beøn nhôù laïi lôøi ñaõ cheùp raèng: Söï soát saéng veà nhaø Chuùa tieâu nuoát toâi.

2:18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign show you unto us, seeing that you do these things?

2:18 Caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña caát tieáng thöa cuøng Ngaøi raèng: Thaày laøm nhö vaäy thì cho chuùng toâi xem thaáy pheùp laï chi?

2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

2:19 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Haõy phaù ñeàn thôø naày ñi, trong ba ngaøy ta seõ döïng laïi!

2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you rear it up in three days?

2:20 Ngöôøi Giu-ña laïi noùi: Ngöôøi ta xaây ñeàn thôø naày maát boán möôi saùu naêm, maø thaày thì seõ döïng laïi trong ba ngaøy!

2:21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.

2:21 Nhöng Ngaøi noùi veà ñeàn thôø cuûa thaân theå mình.

2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word (o. logos) which Jesus had said.

2:22 Vaäy, sau khi Ngaøi ñöôïc töø keû cheát soáng laïi roài, moân ñoà gaãm Ngaøi coù noùi lôøi ñoù, thì tin Kinh Thaùnh vaø lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ phaùn.

2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

2:23 Ñöông luùc Ngaøi ôû thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem ñeå giöõ leã Vöôït Qua, coù nhieàu ngöôøi thaáy pheùp laï Ngaøi laøm, thì tin danh Ngaøi.

2:24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

2:24 Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus chaúng phoù thaùc mình cho hoï, vì Ngaøi nhaän bieát moïi ngöôøi,

2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

2:25 vaø khoâng caàn ai laøm chöùng veà ngöôøi naøo, bôûi Ngaøi töï thaáu moïi ñieàu trong loøng ngöôøi ta.

 Giang - John

3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

3:1 Trong voøng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si, coù ngöôøi teân laø Ni-coâ-ñem, laø moät ngöôøi trong nhöõng keû cai trò daân Giu-ña.

3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

3:2 Ban ñeâm, ngöôøi naày ñeán cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus maø noùi raèng: Thöa thaày, chuùng toâi bieát thaày laø giaùo sö töø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeán; vì nhöõng pheùp laï thaày ñaõ laøm ñoù, neáu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chaúng ôû cuøng, thì khoâng ai laøm ñöôïc.

3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

3:3 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus caát tieáng ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng ngöôi, neáu moät ngöôøi chaúng sanh laïi, thì khoâng theå thaáy ñöôïc nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

3:4 Nicodemus says unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

3:4 Ni-coâ-ñem thöa raèng: Ngöôøi ñaõ giaø thì sanh laïi laøm sao ñöôïc? Coù theå naøo trôû vaøo loøng meï vaø sanh laàn thöù hai sao?

3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3:5 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng ngöôi, neáu moät ngöôøi chaúng nhôø nöôùc vaø Thaùnh Linh maø sanh, thì khoâng ñöôïc vaøo nöôùc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit (o. pneuma) is spirit. (o. pneuma)

3:6 Heã chi sanh bôûi xaùc thòt laø xaùc thòt; heã chi sanh bôûi Thaùnh Linh laø thaàn.

3:7 Marvel not that I said unto you, All of you must be born again.

3:7 Chôù laáy laøm laï veà ñieàu ta ñaõ noùi vôùi ngöôi: Caùc ngöôi phaûi sanh laïi.

3:8 The wind (o. pneuma) blows where it decides, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell whence it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. (o. pneuma)

3:8 Gioù muoán thoåi ñaâu thì thoåi, ngöôi nghe tieáng ñoäng; nhöng chaúng bieát gioù ñeán töø ñaâu vaø cuõng khoâng bieát ñi ñaâu. Heã ngöôøi naøo sanh bôûi Thaùnh Linh thì cuõng nhö vaäy.

3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

3:9 Ni-coâ-ñem laïi noùi: Ñieàu ñoù laøm theå naøo ñöôïc?

3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Are you a master of Israel, and know not these things?

3:10 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ngöôi laø giaùo sö cuûa daân Y-sô-ra-eân, maø khoâng hieåu bieát nhöõng ñieàu ñoù sao!

3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto you, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and all of you receive not our witness.

3:11 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng ngöôi, chuùng ta noùi ñieàu mình bieát, laøm chöùng ñieàu mình ñaõ thaáy; coøn caùc ngöôi chaúng heà nhaän laáy lôøi chöùng cuûa chuùng ta.

3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and all of you believe not, how shall all of you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

3:12 Ví baèng ta noùi vôùi caùc ngöôi nhöõng vieäc thuoäc veà ñaát, caùc ngöôi coøn chaúng tin thay; huoáng chi ta noùi nhöõng vieäc thuoäc veà trôøi, thì caùc ngöôi tin sao ñöôïc?

3:13 And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

3:13 Chöa heà coù ai leân trôøi, tröø ra Ñaáng töø trôøi xuoáng, aáy laø Con ngöôøi voán ôû treân trôøi.

3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

3:14 Xöa Moâi-se treo con raén leân nôi ñoàng vaéng theå naøo, thì Con ngöôøi cuõng phaûi bò treo leân döôøng aáy,

3:15 That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

3:15 haàu cho heã ai tin ñeán Ngaøi ñeàu ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi.

3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3:16 Vì Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi yeâu thöông theá gian, ñeán noãi ñaõ ban Con moät cuûa Ngaøi, haàu cho heã ai tin Con aáy khoâng bò hö maát maø ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi.

3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

3:17 Vaû, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ sai Con Ngaøi xuoáng theá gian, chaúng phaûi ñeå ñoaùn xeùt theá gian ñaâu, nhöng haàu cho theá gian nhôø Con aáy maø ñöôïc cöùu.

3:18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

3:18 Ai tin Ngaøi thì chaúng bò ñoaùn xeùt ñaâu; ai khoâng tin thì ñaõ bò ñoaùn xeùt roài, vì khoâng tin ñeán danh Con moät Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

3:19 Vaû, söï ñoaùn xeùt ñoù laø nhö vaày: söï saùng ñaõ ñeán theá gian, maø ngöôøi ta öa söï toái taêm hôn söï saùng, vì vieäc laøm cuûa hoï laø xaáu xa.

3:20 For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

3:20 Bôûi vì phaøm ai laøm aùc thì gheùt söï saùng vaø khoâng ñeán cuøng söï saùng, e raèng coâng vieäc cuûa mình phaûi traùch moùc chaêng.

3:21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

3:22 Keá ñoù, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi vôùi moân ñoà ñeán ñaát Giu-ñeâ; Ngaøi ôû vôùi moân ñoà taïi ñoù, vaø laøm pheùp baùp tem.

3:23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

3:23 Giaêng cuõng laøm pheùp baùp tem taïi EÂ-noân, gaàn Sa-lim, vì ôû ñoù coù nhieàu nöôùc, vaø ngöôøi ta ñeán ñaëng chòu pheùp baùp tem.

3:24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

3:24 Baáy giôø Giaêng chöa bò boû vaøo nguïc.

3:25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

3:25 Vaû, moân ñoà cuûa Giaêng coù caõi laãy vôùi moät ngöôøi Giu-ña veà leã tinh saïch.

3:26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with you beyond Jordan, to whom you bare witness, behold, the same baptizes, and all men come to him.

3:26 Hoï ñeán cuøng Giaêng vaø noùi raèng: Thöa thaày, kìa, ngöôøi ôû cuøng thaày beân kia soâng Gioâ-ñanh, maø thaày ñaõ laøm chöùng cho, baây giôø ñöông laøm pheùp baùp tem, vaø ai naáy ñeàu ñeán cuøng ngöôøi.

3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

3:27 Giaêng traû lôøi raèng: Ví chaúng töø treân trôøi ban cho, thì khoâng moät ngöôøi naøo coù theå laõnh chi ñöôïc.

3:28 All of you yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

3:28 Chính caùc ngöôi laøm chöùng cho ta raèng ta ñaõ noùi: Aáy khoâng phaûi ta laø Ñaáng Christ, nhöng ta ñaõ ñöôïc sai ñeán tröôùc Ngaøi.

3:29 He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

3:29 Ai môùi cöôùi vôï, naáy laø chaøng reå, nhöng baïn cuûa chaøng reå ñöùng gaàn vaø nghe ngöôøi, khi nghe tieáng cuûa chaøng reå thì raát ñoãi vui möøng; aáy laø söï vui möøng troïn veïn cuûa ta ñoù.

3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

3:30 Ngaøi phaûi daáy leân, ta phaûi haï xuoáng.

3:31 He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he that comes from heaven is above all.

3:31 Ñaáng töø treân cao ñeán laø treân heát moïi loaøi. Keû töø ñaát ñeán laø thuoäc veà ñaát, vaø noùi ra cuõng nhö laø thuoäc veà ñaát; coøn Ñaáng töø trôøi ñeán thì treân heát moïi loaøi.

3:32 And what he has seen and heard, that he testifies; and no man receives his testimony.

3:32 Ngaøi laøm chöùng veà ñieàu Ngaøi ñaõ thaáy vaø nghe; song khoâng coù ai nhaän laáy lôøi chöùng cuûa Ngaøi.

3:33 He that has received his testimony has set to his seal that God is true.

3:33 Ai ñaõ nhaän laáy lôøi chöùng cuûa Ngaøi thì laøm chöùng chaéc raèng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø thaät.

3:34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words (o. rhema) of God: for God gives not the Spirit (o. pneuma) by measure unto him.

3:34 Vì Ñaáng maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ sai ñeán thì rao truyeàn lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ban Thaùnh Linh cho Ngaøi khoâng chöøng möïc.

3:35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

3:35 Cha yeâu Con, vaø ñaõ giao heát moïi vaät trong tay Con.

3:36 He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

3:36 Ai tin Con, thì ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi; ai khoâng chòu tin Con, thì chaúng thaáy söï soáng ñaâu, nhöng côn thaïnh noä cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi vaãn ôû treân ngöôøi ñoù.

 Giang - John

4:1 When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

4:1 Khi Chuùa ñaõ hay raèng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si coù nghe ñoàn Ngaøi goïi vaø laøm pheùp baùp tem ñöôïc nhieàu moân ñoà hôn Giaêng,

4:2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

4:2 (kyø thieät khoâng phaûi chính Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laøm pheùp baùp tem, nhöng laø moân ñoà Ngaøi),

4:3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

4:3 thì Ngaøi lìa xöù Giu-ñeâ trôû veà xöù Ga-li-leâ.

4:4 And he must essentially go through Samaria.

4:4 Vaû, Ngaøi phaûi ñi ngang qua xöù Sa-ma-ri.

4:5 Then comes he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

4:5 Vaäy Ngaøi ñeán moät thaønh thuoäc veà xöù Sa-ma-ri, goïi laø Si-kha, gaàn ñoàng ruoäng maø Gia-coáp cho Gioâ-seùp laø con mình.

4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

4:6 Taïi ñoù coù caùi gieáng Gia-coáp. Nhôn ñi ñaøng moûi meät, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ngoài gaàn beân gieáng; baáy giôø ñoä chöøng giôø thöù saùu.

4:7 There comes a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus says unto her, Give me to drink.

4:7 Moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø Sa-ma-ri ñeán muùc nöôùc. Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Haõy cho ta uoáng.

4:8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy food.)

4:8 Vì moân ñoà Ngaøi ñaõ ñi ra phoá ñaëng mua ñoà aên.

4:9 Then says the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

4:9 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø Sa-ma-ri thöa raèng: Uûi kìa! oâng laø ngöôøi Giu-ña, maø laïi xin uoáng nöôùc cuøng toâi, laø moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø Sa-ma-ri sao? (Soá laø, daân Giu-ña chaúng heà giao thieäp vôùi daân Sa-ma-ri.)

4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water.

4:10 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ví baèng ngöôi bieát söï ban cho cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø bieát ngöôøi noùi: "Haõy cho ta uoáng" laø ai, thì chaéc ngöôi seõ xin ngöôøi cho uoáng, vaø ngöôøi seõ cho ngöôi nöôùc soáng.

4:11 The woman says unto him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then have you that living water?

4:11 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa: Hôõi Chuùa, Chuùa khoâng coù gì maø muùc, vaø gieáng thì saâu, vaäy bôûi ñaâu coù nöôùc soáng aáy?

4:12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

4:12 Toå phuï chuùng toâi laø Gia-coáp ñeå gieáng naày laïi cho chuùng toâi, chính ngöôøi uoáng gieáng naày, caû ñeán con chaùu cuøng caùc baày vaät ngöôøi nöõa, vaäy Chuùa haù lôùn hôn Gia-coáp sao?

4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again:

4:13 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Phaøm ai uoáng nöôùc naày vaãn coøn khaùt maõi;

4:14 But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

4:15 The woman says unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw.

4:15 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa: Laïy Chuùa, xin cho toâi nöôùc aáy, ñeå cho toâi khoâng khaùt vaø khoâng ñeán ñaây muùc nöôùc nöõa.

4:16 Jesus says unto her, Go, call your husband, and come here.

4:16 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Haõy ñi, goïi choàng ngöôi, roài trôû laïi ñaây.

4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, You have well said, I have no husband:

4:17 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa raèng: Toâi khoâng coù choàng. Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laïi phaùn: Ngöôi noùi raèng: Toâi khoâng coù choàng, laø phaûi laém;

4:18 For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that said you truly.

4:18 vì ngöôi ñaõ coù naêm ñôøi choàng, coøn ngöôøi maø ngöôi hieän coù, chaúng phaûi laø choàng ngöôi; ñieàu ñoù ngöôi ñaõ noùi thaät vaäy.

4:19 The woman says unto him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

4:19 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, toâi nhìn thaáy Chuùa laø moät ñaáng tieân tri.

4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and all of you say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

4:20 Toå phuï chuùng toâi ñaõ thôø laïy treân hoøn nuùi naày; coøn daân Giu-ña laïi noùi raèng nôi ñaùng thôø laïy laø taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

4:21 Jesus says unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when all of you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

4:21 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Hôõi ngöôøi ñôøn baø, haõy tin ta, giôø ñeán, khi caùc ngöôi thôø laïy Cha, chaúng taïi treân hoøn nuùi naày, cuõng chaúng taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

4:22 All of you worship all of you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

4:22 Caùc ngöôi thôø laïy söï caùc ngöôi khoâng bieát, vì söï cöùu roãi bôûi ngöôøi Giu-ña maø ñeán.

4:23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit (o. pneuma) and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.

4:23 Nhöng giôø haàu ñeán, vaø ñaõ ñeán roài, khi nhöõng keû thôø phöôïng thaät laáy taâm thaàn vaø leõ thaät maø thôø phöôïng Cha: aáy ñoù laø nhöõng keû thôø phöôïng maø Cha öa thích vaäy.

4:24 God is a Spirit: (o. pneuma) and they that worship him must worship him in spirit (o. pneuma) and in truth.

4:24 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø thaàn, neân ai thôø laïy Ngaøi thì phaûi laáy taâm thaàn vaø leõ thaät maø thôø laïy.

4:25 The woman says unto him, I know that Messiah comes, which is called Christ: when he has come, he will tell us all things.

4:25 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø thöa: Toâi bieát raèng Ñaáng Meâ-si (nghóa laø Ñaáng Christ) phaûi ñeán; khi Ngaøi ñaõ ñeán, seõ rao truyeàn moïi vieäc cho chuùng ta.

4:26 Jesus says unto her, I that speak unto you am he.

4:26 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ta, ngöôøi ñang noùi vôùi ngöôi ñaây, chính laø Ñaáng ñoù.

4:27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seek you? or, Why talk you with her?

4:27 Khi ñoù, moân ñoà tôùi, ñeàu söõng sôø veà Ngaøi noùi vôùi moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø; nhöng chaúng ai hoûi raèng: Thaày hoûi ngöôøi aáy ñieàu chi? hay laø: Sao thaày noùi vôùi ngöôøi?

4:28 The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and says to the men,

4:28 Ngöôøi ñôøn baø beøn boû caùi voø nöôùc cuûa mình laïi vaø vaøo thaønh, noùi vôùi ngöôøi taïi ñoù raèng:

4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

4:29 Haõy ñeán xem moät ngöôøi ñaõ baûo toâi moïi ñieàu toâi ñaõ laøm; aáy chaúng phaûi laø Ñaáng Christ sao?

4:30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

4:30 Chuùng beøn töø trong thaønh ra vaø ñeán cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.

4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

4:31 Song le, moân ñoà naøi næ moät beân Ngaøi maø raèng: Thöa thaày, xin haõy aên.

4:32 But he said unto them, I have food to eat that all of you know not of.

4:32 Ngaøi ñaùp raèng: Ta coù moät thöù löông thöïc ñeå nuoâi mình maø caùc ngöôi khoâng bieát.

4:33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Has any man brought him ought to eat?

4:33 Vaäy moân ñoà noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Coù ai ñaõ ñem chi cho thaày aên chaêng?

4:34 Jesus says unto them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

4:34 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ñoà aên cuûa ta töùc laø laøm theo yù muoán cuûa Ñaáng sai ta ñeán, vaø laøm troïn coâng vieäc Ngaøi.

4:35 Say not all of you, There are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

4:35 Caùc ngöôi haù chaúng noùi raèng coøn boán thaùng nöõa thì tôùi muøa gaët sao? Song ta noùi vôùi caùc ngöôi: Haõy nhöôùng maét leân vaø xem ñoàng ruoäng, ñaõ vaøng saün cho muøa gaët.

4:36 And he that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto life eternal: that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.

4:36 Con gaët ñaõ laõnh tieàn coâng mình vaø thaâu chöùa hoa lôïi cho söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi, haàu cho ngöôøi gieo gioáng vaø con gaët ñöôïc cuøng nhau vui veû.

4:37 And herein is that saying (o. logos) true, One sows, and another reaps.

4:37 Vì ñaây ngöôøi ta coù theå noùi raèng: Ngöôøi naày thì gieo, ngöôøi kia thì gaët, laø raát phaûi.

4:38 I sent you to reap that whereon all of you bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and all of you are entered into their labours.

4:38 Ta ñaõ sai caùc ngöôi gaët nôi mình khoâng laøm; keû khaùc ñaõ laøm, coøn caùc ngöôi thì ñaõ vaøo tieáp laáy coâng lao cuûa hoï.

4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying (o. logos) of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

4:39 Coù nhieàu ngöôøi Sa-ma-ri ôû thaønh ñoù tin Ngaøi, vì cöù lôøi ñôøn baø ñaõ laøm chöùng veà Ngaøi maø raèng: Ngaøi ñaõ baûo toâi moïi ñieàu toâi ñaõ laøm.

4:40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

4:40 Vaäy, caùc ngöôøi Sa-ma-ri ñaõ ñeán cuøng Ngaøi, xin Ngaøi vaøo troï nôi mình; Ngaøi beøn ôû laïi ñoù hai ngaøy.

4:41 And many more believed because of his own word; (o. logos)

4:41 Khi ñaõ nghe lôøi Ngaøi roài, ngöôøi tin Ngaøi caøng ñoâng hôn nöõa.

4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of your saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

4:42 Hoï noùi vôùi ngöôøi ñôøn baø raèng: Aáy khoâng coøn phaûi vì ñieàu ngöôi ñaõ noùi vôùi chuùng ta maø chuùng ta tin ñaâu; vì chính chuùng ta ñaõ nghe Ngaøi, vaø bieát raèng chính Ngaøi thaät laø Cöùu Chuùa cuûa theá gian.

4:43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

4:43 Khoûi hai ngaøy aáy, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus töø ñoù ñi qua xöù Ga-li-leâ

4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet has no honour in his own country.

4:44 (vì chính Ngaøi ñaõ phaùn raèng moät ngöôøi tieân tri chaúng bao giôø ñöôïc toân kính trong queâ höông mình).

4:45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

4:45 Khi ñaõ ñeán xöù Ga-li-leâ, Ngaøi ñöôïc daân xöù aáy tieáp röôùc töû teá, bôûi daân ñoù ñaõ thaáy moïi ñieàu Ngaøi laøm taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem trong ngaøy leã; vì hoï cuõng coù ñi döï leã.

4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

4:46 Vaäy, Ngaøi laïi ñeán thaønh Ca-na, trong xöù Ga-li-leâ, laø nôi Ngaøi ñaõ hoùa nöôùc thaønh röôïu. Nguyeân ôû taïi thaønh Ca-beâ-na-um, coù moät quan thò veä kia, con trai ngöôøi maéc bònh.

4:47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

4:47 Quan ñoù nghe Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ töø xöù Giu-ñeâ ñeán xöù Ga-li-leâ, beøn tìm ñeán vaø xin Ngaøi xuoáng ñaëng chöõa cho con mình gaàn cheát.

4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except all of you see signs and wonders, all of you will not believe.

4:48 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng thaáy pheùp laï vaø ñieàm laï, thì caùc ngöôi chaúng tin!

4:49 The nobleman says unto him, Sir, come down before my child die.

4:49 Quan thò veä traû lôøi raèng: Laïy Chuùa, xin Chuùa xuoáng tröôùc khi con toâi chöa cheát!

4:50 Jesus says unto him, Go your way; your son lives. And the man believed the word (o. logos) that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

4:50 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Haõy ñi, con cuûa ngöôi soáng. Ngöôøi ñoù tin lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ phaùn cho mình, beøn ñi.

4:51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Your son lives.

4:51 Ngöôøi ñang ñi doïc ñaøng, caùc ñaày tôù ngöôøi ñeán ñoùn maø raèng: Con trai chuû soáng.

4:52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

4:52 Ngöôøi beøn hoûi hoï con trai mình ñaõ thaáy khaù nhaèm giôø naøo. Hoï traû lôøi raèng: böõa qua, hoài giôø thöù baûy, côn reùt lui khoûi.

4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Your son lives: and himself believed, and his whole house.

4:53 Ngöôøi cha nhaän bieát raèng aáy laø chính giôø ñoù Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ phaùn cuøng mình raèng: Con cuûa ngöôi soáng; thì ngöôøi vôùi caû nhaø ñeàu tin.

4:54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

4:54 Aáy laø pheùp laï thöù hai maø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ laøm, khi Ngaøi töø xöù Giu-ñeâ trôû veà xöù Ga-li-leâ.

 Giang - John

5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

5:1 Keá ñoù, coù moät ngaøy leã cuûa daân Giu-ña, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem.

5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

5:2 Soá laø, taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, gaàn cöûa Chieân, coù moät caùi ao, tieáng Heâ-bô-rô goïi laø Beâ-teát-ña, xung quanh ao coù naêm caùi voøm cöûa.

5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

5:3 Nhöõng keû ñau oám, muø quaùng, taøn taät, baïi xuoäi naèm taïi ñoù raát ñoâng, chôø khi nöôùc ñoäng;

5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5:4 vì moät thieân söù thænh thoaûng giaùng xuoáng trong ao, laøm cho nöôùc ñoäng; luùc nöôùc ñaõ ñoäng roài, ai xuoáng ao tröôùc heát, baát kyø maéc bònh gì, cuõng ñöôïc laønh.

5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

5:5 Nôi ñoù, coù moät ngöôøi bò bònh ñaõ ñöôïc ba möôi taùm naêm.

5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he says unto him, Will you be made whole?

5:6 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus thaáy ngöôøi naèm, bieát raèng ñau ñaõ laâu ngaøy thì phaùn: Ngöôi coù muoán laønh chaêng?

5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me.

5:7 Ngöôøi bònh thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, toâi chaúng coù ai ñeå quaêng toâi xuoáng ao trong khi nöôùc ñoäng; luùc toâi ñi ñeán, thì keû khaùc ñaõ xuoáng ao tröôùc toâi roài.

5:8 Jesus says unto him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk.

5:8 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Haõy ñöùng daäy, vaùc giöôøng ngöôi vaø ñi.

5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

5:9 Töùc thì ngöôøi aáy ñöôïc laønh, vaùc giöôøng mình vaø ñi. Vaû, baáy giôø laø ngaøy Sa-baùt.

5:10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.

5:10 Caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña beøn noùi vôùi keû ñöôïc chöõa laønh raèng: Nay laø ngaøy Sa-baùt, ngöôi khoâng pheùp mang giöôøng mình ñi.

5:11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up your bed, and walk.

5:11 Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Chính ngöôøi ñaõ chöõa toâi ñöôïc laønh bieåu toâi raèng: Haõy vaùc giöôøng ngöôi vaø ñi.

5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto you, Take up your bed, and walk?

5:12 Hoï hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi ñaõ bieåu ngöôi: Haõy vaùc giöôøng vaø ñi, laø ai?

5:13 And he that was healed know not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

5:13 Nhöng ngöôøi ñaõ ñöôïc chöõa laønh khoâng bieát laø ai: vì Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ laãn trong ñaùm ñoâng taïi choã ñoù.

5:14 Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto you.

5:14 Sau laïi, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus gaëp ngöôøi ñoù trong ñeàn thôø, beøn phaùn raèng: Kìa, ngöôi ñaõ laønh roài, ñöøng phaïm toäi nöõa, e coù söï gì caøng xaáu xa xaûy ñeán cho ngöôi chaêng.

5:15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

5:15 Ngöôøi ñoù ñi noùi vôùi caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña raèng aáy laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ chöõa laønh cho mình.

5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

5:16 Nhôn ñoù daân Giu-ña baét bôù Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus, vì côù Ngaøi laøm nhöõng söï aáy trong ngaøy Sa-baùt.

5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work.

5:17 Nhöng Ngaøi phaùn cuøng hoï raèng: Cha ta laøm vieäc cho ñeán baây giôø, ta ñaây cuõng laøm vieäc nhö vaäy.

5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

5:18 Bôûi côù ñoù, daân Giu-ña caøng kieám caùch nöõa ñeå gieát Ngaøi, chaúng nhöõng vì Ngaøi phaïm ngaøy Sa-baùt thoâi, maø laïi vì Ngaøi goïi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Thaân phuï mình, laøm ra mình baèng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things whatsoever he does, these also does the Son likewise.

5:19 Vaäy, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus caát tieáng phaùn cuøng hoï raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, Con chaúng töï mình laøm vieäc gì ñöôïc; chæ laøm ñieàu chi maø Con thaáy Cha laøm; vì moïi ñieàu Cha laøm, Con cuõng laøm y nhö vaäy.

5:20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that himself does: and he will show him greater works than these, that all of you may marvel.

5:20 Cha yeâu Con vaø toû cho Con coâng vieäc lôùn lao hôn nhöõng vieäc naày nöõa, ñeå caùc ngöôi laáy laøm laï luøng.

5:21 For as the Father raises up the dead, and replenishes life to them; even so the Son gives life to whom he will.

5:21 Vaû, Cha khieán nhöõng keû cheát soáng laïi vaø ban söï soáng cho hoï theå naøo, thì Con cuõng ban söï soáng cho keû Con muoán theå aáy.

5:22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment unto the Son:

5:22 Cha cuõng chaúng xeùt ñoaùn ai heát, nhöng ñaõ giao troïn quyeàn phaùn xeùt cho Con,

5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which has sent him.

5:23 ñaëng ai naáy ñeàu toân kính Con, cuõng nhö toân kính Cha vaäy. Ai khoâng toân kính Con, aáy laø khoâng toân kính Cha, laø Ñaáng ñaõ sai Con ñeán.

5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, (o. logos) and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

5:24 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, ai nghe lôøi ta maø tin Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta, thì ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi, vaø khoâng ñeán söï phaùn xeùt, song vöôït khoûi söï cheát maø ñeán söï soáng.

5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

5:25 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, giôø ñeán, vaø ñaõ ñeán roài, khi nhöõng keû cheát seõ nghe tieáng cuûa Con Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø nhöõng keû nghe seõ ñöôïc soáng.

5:26 For as the Father has life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have life in himself;

5:26 Vì nhö Cha coù söï soáng trong mình, thì Cha cuõng ñaõ ban cho Con coù söï soáng trong mình vaäy.

5:27 And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

5:27 Cha ñaõ ban quyeàn thi haønh söï phaùn xeùt cho Con, vì laø Con ngöôøi.

5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

5:28 Chôù laáy ñieàu ñoù laøm laï; vì giôø ñeán, khi moïi ngöôøi ôû trong moà maû nghe tieáng Ngaøi vaø ra khoûi:

5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

5:29 ai ñaõ laøm laønh thì soáng laïi ñeå ñöôïc soáng, ai ñaõ laøm döõ thì soáng laïi ñeå bò xeùt ñoaùn.

5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.

5:30 Ta khoâng theå töï mình laøm noåi vieäc gì; ta xeùt ñoaùn theo ñieàu ta nghe, vaø söï xeùt ñoaùn ta laø coâng bình, vì ta chaúng tìm yù muoán cuûa ta, nhöng tìm yù muoán cuûa Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta.

5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

5:31 Neáu ta töï mình laøm chöùng laáy, thì söï laøm chöùng aáy khoâng ñaùng tin.

5:32 There is another that bears witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesses of me is true.

5:32 Coù ngöôøi khaùc laøm chöùng cho ta, vaø ta bieát raèng chöùng ngöôøi ñoù laøm cho ta laø ñaùng tin.

5:33 All of you sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

5:33 Caùc ngöôi coù sai söù ñeán cuøng Giaêng, thì ngöôøi ñaõ laøm chöùng cho leõ thaät.

5:34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that all of you might be saved.

5:34 Coøn ta, lôøi chöùng maø ta nhaän laáy chaúng phaûi bôûi ngöôøi ta; nhöng ta noùi vaäy, ñaëng caùc ngöôi ñöôïc cöùu.

5:35 He was a burning and a shining light: and all of you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

5:35 Giaêng laø ñuoác ñaõ thaép vaø saùng, caùc ngöôi baèng loøng vui taïm nôi aùnh saùng cuûa ngöôøi.

5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

5:36 Nhöng ta coù moät chöùng lôùn hôn chöùng cuûa Giaêng; vì caùc vieäc Cha ñaõ giao cho ta laøm troïn, töùc laø caùc vieäc ta laøm ñoù, laøm chöùng cho ta raèng Cha ñaõ sai ta.

5:37 And the Father himself, which has sent me, has borne witness of me. All of you have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

5:37 Chính Cha, laø Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta, cuõng laøm chöùng veà ta. Caùc ngöôi chöa heà nghe tieáng Ngaøi, chöa heà thaáy maët Ngaøi,

5:38 And all of you have not his word (o. logos) abiding in you: for whom he has sent, him all of you believe not.

5:38 vaø ñaïo Ngaøi khoâng ôû trong caùc ngöôi, vì caùc ngöôi khoâng tin Ñaáng maø Ngaøi ñaõ sai ñeán.

5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them all of you think all of you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

5:39 Caùc ngöôi doø xem Kinh Thaùnh, vì töôûng bôûi ñoù ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi: aáy laø Kinh Thaùnh laøm chöùng veà ta vaäy.

5:40 And all of you will not come to me, that all of you might have life.

5:40 Caùc ngöôi khoâng muoán ñeán cuøng ta ñeå ñöôïc söï soáng!

5:41 I receive not honour from men.

5:41 Ta chaúng caàu vinh hieån bôûi ngöôøi ta maø ñeán ñaâu;

5:42 But I know you, that all of you have not the love (o. agape) of God in you.

5:42 nhöng ta bieát raèng caùc ngöôi chaúng coù söï yeâu meán Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ôû trong caùc ngöôi.

5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and all of you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him all of you will receive.

5:43 Ta nhôn danh Cha ta maø ñeán, caùc ngöôi khoâng nhaän laáy ta. Neáu coù keû khaùc laáy danh rieâng mình maø ñeán, thì caùc ngöôi seõ nhaän laáy.

5:44 How can all of you believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that comes from God only?

5:44 Caùc ngöôi vaãn chòu vinh hieån laãn cuûa nhau, khoâng tìm kieám vinh hieån bôûi moät mình Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeán, thì theå naøo caùc ngöôi tin ñöôïc?

5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuses you, even Moses, in whom all of you trust.

5:45 Chôù ngôø raèng aáy laø ta seõ toá caùo caùc ngöôi tröôùc maët Cha, ngöôøi seõ toá caùo caùc ngöôi laø Moâi-se, laø ngöôøi maø caùc ngöôi troâng caäy.

5:46 For had all of you believed Moses, all of you would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

5:46 Vì neáu caùc ngöôi tin Moâi-se, cuõng seõ tin ta; bôûi aáy laø veà ta maø ngöôøi ñaõ cheùp.

5:47 But if all of you believe not his writings, how shall all of you believe my words? (o. rhema)

5:47 Nhöng neáu caùc ngöôi chaúng tin nhöõng lôøi ngöôøi cheùp, caùc ngöôi haù laïi tin lôøi ta sao?

 Giang - John

6:1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

6:1 Roài ñoù, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus qua bôø beân kia bieån Ga-li-leâ, laø bieån Ti-beâ-ri-aùt.

6:2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

6:2 Moät ñoaøn daân ñoâng theo Ngaøi, vì töøng thaáy caùc pheùp laï Ngaøi laøm cho nhöõng keû bònh.

6:3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

6:3 Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus leân treân nuùi, ngoài ñoù vôùi moân ñoà.

6:4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

6:4 Vaû, leã Vöôït Qua, laø leã cuûa ñeán Giu-ña gaàn tôùi.

6:5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he says unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

6:5 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ngöôùc maét leân, thaáy moät ñoaøn daân ñoâng ñeán cuøng mình, beøn phaùn vôùi Phi-líp raèng: Chuùng ta seõ mua baùnh ôû ñaâu, ñeå cho daân naày coù maø aên?

6:6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

6:6 Ngaøi phaùn ñieàu ñoù ñaëng thöû Phi-líp, chôù Ngaøi ñaõ bieát ñieàu Ngaøi seõ laøm roài.

6:7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

6:7 Phi-líp thöa raèng: Hai traêm ñô-ni-eâ baùnh khoâng ñuû phaùt cho moãi ngöôøi moät ít.

6:8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, says unto him,

6:8 Moät moân ñoà, laø Anh-reâ, em cuûa Si-moân Phi -e-rô, thöa raèng:

6:9 There is a lad here, which has five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

6:9 Ñaây coù moät ñöùa con trai, coù naêm caùi baùnh maïch nha vaø hai con caù; nhöng ñoâng ngöôøi döôøng naày, thì ngaèn aáy coù thaám vaøo ñaâu?

6:10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

6:10 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus beøn phaùn raèng: Haõy truyeàn cho chuùng ngoài xuoáng. Vaû, trong nôi ñoù coù nhieàu coû. Vaäy, chuùng ngoài xuoáng, soá ngöôøi öôùc ñöôïc naêm ngaøn.

6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

6:11 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laáy baùnh, taï ôn roài, beøn phaân phaùt cho nhöõng keû ñaõ ngoài; Ngaøi cuõng laáy caù phaùt cho chuùng nöõa, ai muoán bao nhieâu maëc yù.

6:12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

6:12 Khi chuùng ñaõ aên ñöôïc no neâ, Ngaøi phaùn vôùi moân ñoà raèng: Haõy löôïm nhöõng mieáng coøn thöøa, haàu cho khoâng maát chuùt naøo.

6:13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

6:13 Vaäy, moân ñoà löôïm nhöõng mieáng thöøa cuûa naêm caùi baùnh maïch nha, sau khi ngöôøi ta ñaõ aên roài, chöùa ñaày möôøi hai gioû.

6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is truthfully that prophet that should come into the world.

6:14 Nhöõng ngöôøi ñoù thaáy pheùp laï Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ laøm, thì noùi raèng: Ngöôøi naày thaät laø Ñaáng tieân tri phaûi ñeán theá gian.

6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

6:15 Baáy giôø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus bieát chuùng coù yù ñeán eùp Ngaøi ñeå toân laøm vua, beøn lui ôû moät mình treân nuùi.

6:16 And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,

6:16 Ñeán chieàu, moân ñoà xuoáng nôi bôø bieån,

6:17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

6:17 vaø vaøo trong moät chieác thuyeàn, sang thaúng bôø beân kia, höôùng veà thaønh Ca-beâ-na-um. Trôøi chôït toái, maø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus coøn chöa ñeán cuøng caùc moân ñoà.

6:18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

6:18 Gioù thoåi aøo aøo, ñeán noãi bieån ñoäng döõ doäi.

6:19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

6:19 Khi caùc moân ñoà ñaõ cheøo ra ñoä chöøng hai möôi laêm hay laø ba möôi eách-ta-ñô, thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi treân maët bieån, gaàn tôùi chieác thuyeàn, thì sôï haõi.

6:20 But he says unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

6:20 Nhöng Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Aáy laø ta ñaây, ñöøng sôï chi!

6:21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land where they went.

6:21 Baáy giôø, moân ñoà muoán röôùc Ngaøi vaøo thuyeàn; töùc thì chieác thuyeàn ñaäu vaøo bôø, laø nôi ñònh ñi.

6:22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, save that one into where his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

6:22 Ñoaøn daân ôû bôø bieån beân kia, ñaõ nhaän raèng ôû ñoù chæ coù moät chieác thuyeàn vôùi moân ñoà Ngaøi, chæ moät mình moân ñoà ñi maø thoâi.

6:23 (nevertheless there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

6:23 Qua ngaøy sau, coù maáy chieác thuyeàn khaùc töø thaønh Ti-beâ-ri-aùt laïi gaàn nôi chuùng ñaõ aên baùnh khi Chuùa taï ôn roài,

6:24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also went on board ships, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

6:24 ñoaøn daân thaáy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus khoâng ôû ñoù moân ñoà cuõng khoâng, beøn vaøo maáy thuyeàn kia maø ñi qua thaønh Ca-beâ-na-um ñeå tìm Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus.

6:25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when came you here?

6:25 Chuùng vöøa tìm ñöôïc Ngaøi taïi bôø beân kia bieån, beøn thöa raèng: Laïy thaày, thaày ñeán ñaây bao giôø?

6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, All of you seek me, not because all of you saw the miracles, but because all of you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

6:26 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, caùc ngöôi tìm ta chaúng phaûi vì ñaõ thaáy maáy pheùp laï, nhöng vì caùc ngöôi ñaõ aên baùnh vaø ñöôïc no.

6:27 Labour not for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed.

6:27 Haõy laøm vieäc, chôù vì ñoà aên hay hö naùt, nhöng vì ñoà aên coøn laïi ñeán söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi, laø thöù Con ngöôøi seõ ban cho caùc ngöôi; vì aáy laø Con, maø Cha, töùc laø chính Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, ñaõ ghi aán tín cuûa mình.

6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

6:28 Chuùng thöa raèng: Chuùng toâi phaûi laøm chi cho ñöôïc laøm coâng vieäc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi?

6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that all of you believe on him whom he has sent.

6:29 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Caùc ngöôi tin Ñaáng maø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ sai ñeán, aáy ñoù laø coâng vieäc Ngaøi.

6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign show you then, that we may see, and believe you? what do you work?

6:30 Chuùng beøn noùi raèng: Theá thì thaày laøm pheùp laï gì, ñeå cho chuùng toâi thaáy vaø tin? Thaày laøm coâng vieäc gì?

6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

6:31 Toå phuï chuùng ta ñaõ aên ma-na trong ñoàng vaéng, theo nhö lôøi cheùp raèng: Ngaøi ñaõ ban cho hoï aên baùnh töø treân trôøi xuoáng.

6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

6:32 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, Moâi-se chöa heà cho caùc ngöôi baùnh töø treân trôøi ñaâu; nhöng Cha ta ban cho caùc ngöôi baùnh thaät, laø baùnh töø treân trôøi xuoáng.

6:33 For the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world.

6:33 Bôûi chöng baùnh Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø baùnh töø treân trôøi giaùng xuoáng, ban söï soáng cho theá gian.

6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

6:34 Chuùng thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, xin ban baùnh ñoù cho chuùng toâi luoân luoân!

6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.

6:35 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ta laø baùnh cuûa söï soáng; ai ñeán cuøng ta chaúng heà ñoùi, vaø ai tin ta chaúng heà khaùt.

6:36 But I said unto you, That all of you also have seen me, and believe not.

6:36 Nhöng ta ñaõ noùi: Caùc ngöôi ñaõ thaáy ta, maø chaúng tin.

6:37 All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

6:37 Phaøm nhöõng keû Cha cho ta seõ ñeán cuøng ta, keû ñeán cuøng ta thì ta khoâng boû ra ngoaøi ñaâu.

6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

6:38 Vì ta töø treân trôøi xuoáng, chaúng phaûi ñeå laøm theo yù ta, nhöng laøm theo yù Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán.

6:39 And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

6:39 Vaû, yù muoán cuûa Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán laø heã söï gì Ngaøi ñaõ ban cho ta, thì ta chôù laøm maát, nhöng ta phaûi laøm cho soáng laïi nôi ngaøy sau roát.

6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

6:40 Ñaây laø yù muoán cuûa Cha ta, phaøm ai nhìn Con vaø tin Con, thì ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi; coøn ta, ta seõ laøm cho keû aáy soáng laïi nôi ngaøy sau roát.

6:41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

6:41 Nhöng vì Ngaøi ñaõ phaùn: Ta laø baùnh töø treân trôøi xuoáng, neân caùc ngöôi Giu-ña laèm baèm veà Ngaøi,

6:42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he says, I came down from heaven?

6:42 maø raèng: Aáy chaúng phaûi laø Jeâsus, con cuûa Gioâ-seùp, maø chuùng ta ñeàu bieát cha meï ngöôøi chaêng? Vaäy, theå naøo ngöôøi noùi ñöôïc raèng: Ta ñaõ töø treân trôøi maø xuoáng?

6:43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

6:43 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Caùc ngöôi chôù laèm baèm vôùi nhau.

6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

6:44 Ví baèng Cha, laø Ñaáng sai ta, khoâng keùo ñeán, thì chaúng coù ai ñöôïc ñeán cuøng ta, vaø ta seõ laøm cho ngöôøi ñoù soáng laïi nôi ngaøy sau roát.

6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me.

6:46 Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of God, he has seen the Father.

6:46 Aáy chaúng phaûi keû naøo ñaõ töøng thaáy Cha, tröø ra Ñaáng töø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø ñeán; Ñaáng aáy ñaõ thaáy Cha.

6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life.

6:47 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, heã ai tin thì ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi.

6:48 I am that bread of life.

6:48 Ta laø baùnh cuûa söï soáng.

6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

6:49 Toå phuï caùc ngöôi ñaõ aên ma-na trong ñoàng vaéng, roài cuõng cheát.

6:50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

6:50 Ñaây laø baùnh töø trôøi xuoáng, haàu cho ai aên chaúng heà cheát.

6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

6:51 Ta laø baùnh töø treân trôøi xuoáng; neáu ai aên baùnh aáy, thì seõ soáng voâ cuøng; vaø baùnh maø ta seõ ban cho vì söï soáng cuûa theá gian töùc laø thòt ta.

6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

6:52 Bôûi ñoù, caùc ngöôi Giu-ña caõi leõ vôùi nhau, maø raèng: Leõ naøo ngöôøi naày laáy thòt mình cho chuùng ta aên sao?

6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except all of you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, all of you have no life in you.

6:53 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus beøn phaùn cuøng hoï raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, neáu caùc ngöôi khoâng aên thòt cuûa Con ngöôøi, cuøng khoâng uoáng huyeát Ngaøi, thì chaúng coù söï soáng trong caùc ngöôi ñaâu.

6:54 Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

6:54 Ai aên thòt vaø uoáng huyeát ta thì ñöôïc söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi; nôi ngaøy sau roát, ta seõ khieán ngöôøi ñoù soáng laïi.

6:55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

6:55 Vì thòt ta thaät laø ñoà aên, huyeát ta thaät laø ñoà uoáng.

6:56 He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him.

6:56 Ngöôøi naøo aên thòt ta vaø uoáng huyeát ta, thì ôû trong ta, vaø ta ôû trong ngöôøi.

6:57 As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.

6:57 Nhö Cha, laø Ñaáng haèng soáng, ñaõ sai ta ñeán, vaø ta soáng bôûi Cha; cuõng moät theå aáy, ngöôøi naøo aên ta, seõ soáng bôûi ta vaäy.

6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever.

6:58 Ñaây laø baùnh töø treân trôøi xuoáng. Baùnh ñoù chaúng phaûi nhö ma-na maø toå phuï caùc ngöôi ñaõ aên, roài cuõng seõ cheát; keû naøo aên baùnh naày seõ soáng ñôøi ñôøi.

6:59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

6:59 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn nhöõng ñieàu ñoù luùc daïy doã trong nhaø hoäi taïi thaønh Ca-beâ-na-um.

6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; (o. logos) who can hear it?

6:60 Coù nhieàu moân ñoà nghe Ngaøi, thì noùi raèng: Lôøi naày thaät khoù; ai nghe ñöôïc?

6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Does this offend you?

6:61 Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus töï mình bieát moân ñoà laèm baèm veà vieäc ñoù, beøn phaùn raèng: Ñieàu ñoù xui cho caùc ngöôi vaáp phaïm sao?

6:62 What and if all of you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

6:62 Vaäy, neáu caùc ngöôi thaáy Con ngöôøi leân nôi Ngaøi voán ôû khi tröôùc thì theå naøo?

6:63 It is the spirit that gives life; (o. pneuma) the flesh profits nothing: the words (o. rhema) that I speak unto you, they are spirit, (o. pneuma) and they are life.

6:63 Aáy laø thaàn linh laøm cho soáng, xaùc thòt chaúng ích chi. Nhöõng lôøi ta phaùn cuøng caùc ngöôi ñeàu laø thaàn linh vaø söï soáng.

6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

6:64 Song trong voøng caùc ngöôi coù keû khoâng tin. Vì Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus bieát töø ban ñaàu, ai laø keû khoâng tin, ai laø keû seõ phaûn Ngaøi.

6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

6:65 Ngaøi laïi phaùn raèng: Chính vì côù ñoù, maø ta ñaõ noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi raèng neáu Cha chaúng ban cho, thì chaúng ai tôùi cuøng ta ñöôïc.

6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

6:66 Töø luùc aáy, coù nhieàu moân ñoà Ngaøi trôû lui, khoâng ñi vôùi Ngaøi nöõa.

6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will all of you also go away?

6:67 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn cuøng möôøi hai söù ñoà raèng: Coøn caùc ngöôi, cuõng muoán lui chaêng?

6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the words (o. rhema) of eternal life.

6:68 Si-moân Phi -e-rô thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, chuùng toâi ñi theo ai? Chuùa coù nhöõng lôøi cuûa söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi;

6:69 And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the living God.

6:69 chuùng toâi ñaõ tin vaø nhaän bieát raèng Chuùa laø Ñaáng thaùnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

6:70 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ta haù chaúng ñaõ choïn caùc ngöôi laø möôøi hai söù ñoà sao? Maø moät ngöôøi trong caùc ngöôi laø quæ!

6:71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

6:71 Vaû, Ngaøi noùi veà Giu-ña con Si-moân Ích-ca-ri-oát; vì chính haén laø moät trong möôøi hai söù ñoà, sau seõ phaûn Ngaøi.

 Giang - John

7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

7:1 Keá ñoù, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi khaép xöù Ga-li-leâ. Ngaøi khoâng öng ñi trong xöù Giu-ñeâ, bôûi daân Giu-ña vaãn tìm phöông gieát Ngaøi.

7:2 Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles was at hand.

7:2 Vaø, ngaøy leã cuûa daân Giu-ña, goïi laø leã Leàu Taïm gaàn ñeán.

7:3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart behind, and go into Judaea, that your disciples also may see the works that you do.

7:3 Anh em Ngaøi noùi raèng: Haõy ñi khoûi ñaây, vaø qua xöù Giu-ñeâ, ñeå cho caùc moân ñoà cuõng ñöôïc xem coâng vieäc thaày laøm.

7:4 For there is no man that does any thing in secret, and he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.

7:4 Khi naøo ngöôøi ta muoán toû mình ra, thì khoâng laøm kín giaáu vieäc gì. Vì thaày laøm nhöõng söï ñoù, haõy toû mình cho thieân haï.

7:5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.

7:5 Bôûi chöng chính caùc anh em Ngaøi khoâng tin Ngaøi.

7:6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.

7:6 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn cuøng anh em raèng: Thì giôø ta chöa ñeán; coøn veà caùc ngöôi, thì giôø ñöôïc tieän luoân luoân.

7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

7:7 Theá gian chaúng gheùt caùc ngöôi ñöôïc; nhöng gheùt ta, vì ta laøm chöùng naày veà hoï raèng coâng vieäc hoï laø aùc.

7:8 Go all of you up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.

7:8 Caùc ngöôi haõy leân döï leã naày, coøn ta chöa leân döï leã ñoù, vì thì giôø ta chöa troïn.

7:9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

7:9 Ngaøi noùi xong, cöù ôû laïi xöù Ga-li-leâ.

7:10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

7:10 Luùc anh em Ngaøi ñaõ leân döï leã roài, thì Ngaøi cuõng leân, nhöng ñi caùch kín giaáu, khoâng thoá loä.

7:11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?

7:11 Vaäy, caùc ngöôi Giu-ña tìm Ngaøi trong ngaøy leã, vaø noùi raèng: Naøo ngöôøi ôû ñaâu?

7:12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceives the people.

7:12 Trong ñaùm ñoâng coù tieáng xoân xao baøn veà Ngaøi. Ngöôøi thì noùi: Aáy laø moät ngöôøi laønh; keû thì noùi: Khoâng phaûi; ngöôøi phænh doã daân chuùng!

7:13 Nevertheless no man spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.

7:13 Song chaúng ai daùm noùi veà Ngaøi toû töôøng, vì sôï daân Giu-ña.

7:14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.

7:14 Giöõa kyø leã, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus leân ñeàn thôø daïy doã.

7:15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?

7:15 Caùc ngöôi Giu-ña söõng sôø maø noùi raèng: Ngöôøi naày chöa töøng hoïc, laøm sao bieát ñöôïc Kinh Thaùnh?

7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

7:16 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ñaïo lyù cuûa ta chaúng phaûi bôûi ta, nhöng bôûi Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán.

7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

7:17 Neáu ai khöùng laøm theo yù muoán cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì seõ bieát ñaïo lyù ta coù phaûi laø bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, hay laø ta noùi theo yù ta.

7:18 He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

7:18 Keû noùi theo yù mình, thì tìm vinh hieån rieâng mình; nhöng keû tìm vinh hieån cuûa Ñaáng ñaõ sai mình ñeán, môùi laø chaân thaät, vaø chaéc trong mình khoâng coù ñieàu gì khoâng coâng bình ñaâu.

7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why go all of you about to kill me?

7:19 Moâi-se haù chaúng ban luaät phaùp cho caùc ngöôi sao? Maø trong caùc ngöôi khoâng coù moät ai tuaân theo luaät phaùp! Côù sao caùc ngöôi kieám theá gieát ta?

7:20 The people answered and said, You have a devil: who goes about to kill you?

7:20 Daân chuùng traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôi bò quæ aùm, naøo ai laø ngöôøi tìm theá gieát ngöôi?

7:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and all of you all marvel.

7:21 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp laïi raèng: Ta ñaõ laøm moät vieäc, caùc ngöôi thaûy ñeàu laáy laøm laï.

7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and all of you on the sabbath day circumcise a man.

7:22 Moâi-se ñaõ truyeàn pheùp caét bì cho caùc ngöôi (pheùp ñoù khoâng phaûi bôûi Moâi-se, nhöng bôûi toå toâng), vaø caùc ngöôi laøm pheùp caét bì cho ngöôøi ñôøn oâng trong ngaøy Sa-baùt!

7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are all of you angry at me, because I have made a man everything whole on the sabbath day?

7:23 Neáu ngöôøi ñôøn oâng chòu pheùp caét bì ngaøy Sa-baùt, cho khoûi phaïm luaät phaùp Moâi-se, thì sao ta chöõa cho caû mình ngöôøi bình ñöôïc laønh trong ngaøy Sa-baùt, maø caùc ngöôi laïi noåi giaän?

7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

7:24 Ñöøng cöù beà ngoaøi maø xeùt ñoaùn, nhöng phaûi xeùt ñoaùn theo leõ coâng bình.

7:25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

7:25 Coù maáy keû trong daân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem noùi raèng: Ñoù coù phaûi laø ngöôøi maø ngöôøi ta tìm gieát chaêng?

7:26 But, lo, he speaks boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

7:26 Kìa, ngöôøi noùi töï do, maø khoâng ai noùi chi ngöôøi heát. Deã thöôøng caùc quan ñaõ nhaän thaät ngöôøi laø Ñaáng Christ?

7:27 Nevertheless we know this man whence he is: but when Christ comes, no man knows whence he is.

7:27 Theá maø, chuùng ta bieát ngöôøi naày töø ñaâu laïi; song khi Ñaáng Christ seõ ñeán, thì khoâng ai bieát Ngaøi töø ñaâu ñeán.

7:28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, All of you both know me, and all of you know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom all of you know not.

7:28 Baáy giôø, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñang daïy trong ñeàn thôø, thì keâu leân raèng: Caùc ngöôi quen ta, caùc ngöôi bieát ta töø ñaâu laïi! Ta ñaõ ñeán chaúng phaûi töï ta, nhöng Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán laø thaät, maø caùc ngöôi khoâng bieát Ngaøi.

7:29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he has sent me.

7:29 Ta thì bieát Ngaøi; vì ta töø Ngaøi ñeán, vaø Ngaøi laø Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán.

7:30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

7:30 Vaäy, hoï kieám theá baét Ngaøi; nhöng khoâng ai tra tay treân Ngaøi, vì giôø Ngaøi chöa ñeán.

7:31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

7:31 Song trong voøng daân chuùng nhieàu keû tin Ngaøi, noùi raèng: Khi Ñaáng Christ ñeán, seõ coù laøm nhieàu pheùp laï hôn ngöôøi naày ñaõ laøm chaêng?

7:32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

7:32 Ngöôøi Pha-ri-si nghe lôøi ñoaøn daân nghò luaän veà Ngaøi, thì maáy thaày teá leã caû ñoàng tình vôùi hoï, caét lính ñi baét Ngaøi.

7:33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

7:33 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus beøn phaùn raèng: Ta coøn ôû vôùi caùc ngöôi ít laâu nöõa; roài ta ñi veà cuøng Ñaáng sai ta ñeán.

7:34 All of you shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither all of you cannot come.

7:34 Caùc ngöôi seõ kieám ta maø chaúng thaáy, vaø nôi ta ôû, caùc ngöôi khoâng theå ñeán ñöôïc.

7:35 Then said the Jews among themselves, Where will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?

7:35 Caùc ngöôøi Giu-ña noùi vôùi nhau raèng: Theá thì ngöôøi seõ ñi ñaâu maø ta khoâng tìm ñöôïc? Coù phaûi ngöôøi seõ ñi ñeán cuøng nhöõng keû löu laïc trong daân Gôø-reùc vaø daïy daân Gôø-reùc chaêng?

7:36 What manner of saying (o. logos) is this that he said, All of you shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither all of you cannot come?

7:36 Ngöôøi ñaõ noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ tìm ta, maø chaúng thaáy, vaø nôi ta ôû, caùc ngöôi khoâng theå ñeán ñöôïc, aáy laø nghóa laøm sao?

7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

7:37 Ngaøy sau cuøng, laø ngaøy troïng theå trong kyø leã, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ôû ñoù, ñöùng keâu leân raèng: Neáu ngöôøi naøo khaùt, haõy ñeán cuøng ta maø uoáng.

7:38 He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

7:38 Keû naøo tin ta thì soâng nöôùc haèng soáng seõ chaûy töø trong loøng mình, y nhö Kinh Thaùnh ñaõ cheùp vaäy.

7:39 (But this spoke he of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

7:39 Ngaøi phaùn ñieàu ñoù chæ veà Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh maø ngöôøi naøo tin Ngaøi seõ nhaän laáy; bôûi baáy giôø Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh chöa ban xuoáng, vì Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus chöa ñöôïc vinh hieån.

7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, (o. logos) said, Truthfully this is the Prophet.

7:40 Trong ñoaøn daân coù nhieàu ngöôøi nghe nhöõng lôøi ñoù, thì noùi: Ngöôøi naày thaät laø ñaáng tieân tri. Ngöôøi khaùc thì noùi: Aáy laø Ñaáng Christ.

7:41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

7:41 Ngöôøi khaùc nöõa laïi noùi: Ñaáng Christ haù töø Ga-li-leâ maø ñeán sao?

7:42 Has not the scripture said, That Christ comes of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

7:42 Kinh Thaùnh haù chaúng noùi raèng Ñaáng Christ phaûi ra töø doøng doõi vua Ña-vít sao?

7:43 So there was a division among the people because of him.

7:43 Vaäy, daân chuùng caõi leõ nhau veà Ngaøi.

7:44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.

7:44 Coù maáy keû trong ñaùm daân muoán baét Ngaøi, nhöõng khoâng ai ñaët tay treân mình Ngaøi.

7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have all of you not brought him?

7:45 Vaäy boïn lính trôû veà cuøng caùc thaày teá leã caû vaø caùc ngöôøi Pha-ri-si. Nhöõng ngöôøi naày hoûi hoï raèng: Sao caùc ngöôi khoâng ñieäu ngöôøi ñeán?

7:46 The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.

7:46 Boïn lính thöa raèng: Chaúng heà coù ngöôøi naøo ñaõ noùi nhö ngöôøi naày!

7:47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are all of you also deceived?

7:47 Nhöõng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi cuõng ñaõ bò phænh doã sao?

7:48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?

7:48 Coù moät ngöôøi naøo trong caùc quan hay laø trong nhöõng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si tin ñeán ngöôøi ñoù chaêng?

7:49 But this people who knows not the law are cursed.

7:49 Song luõ daân naày khoâng bieát luaät chi caû, thaät laø daân ñaùng ruûa!

7:50 Nicodemus says unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)

7:50 Ni-coâ-ñem (laø ngöôøi tröôùc coù ñeán cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus vaø laø moät ngöôøi trong ñaùm hoï) noùi raèng:

7:51 Does our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he does?

7:51 Luaät chuùng ta haù baét toäi moät ngöôøi naøo chöa tra hoûi ñeán, vaø chöa bieát ñieàu ngöôøi aáy ñaõ laøm, hay sao?

7:52 They answered and said unto him, Are you also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee arises no prophet.

7:52 Hoï traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôi cuõng laø ngöôøi Ga-li-leâ sao? Ngöôi haõy tra xeùt, seõ thaáy raèng chaúng coù tieân tri naøo töø xöù Ga-li-leâ maø ra heát.

7:53 And every man went unto his own house.

7:53 Ai naáy ñeàu trôû veà nhaø mình.

 Giang - John

8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

8:1 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus leân treân nuùi oâ-li-ve.

8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

8:2 Nhöng ñeán taûng saùng, Ngaøi trôû laïi ñeàn thôø; caû daân söï ñeàu ñeán cuøng Ngaøi, Ngaøi beøn ngoài daïy doã hoï.

8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

8:3 Baáy giôø, caùc thaày thoâng giaùo vaø caùc ngöôøi Pha-ri-si daãn laïi cho Ngaøi moät ngöôøi ñôøn baø ñaõ bò baét ñang khi phaïm toäi taø daâm; hoï ñeå ngöôøi giöõa ñaùm ñoâng,

8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

8:4 maø noùi cuøng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus raèng: Thöa thaày, ngöôøi ñôøn baø naày bò baét quaû tang veà toäi taø daâm.

8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what says you?

8:5 Vaû, trong luaät phaùp Moâi-se coù truyeàn cho chuùng ta raèng neân neùm ñaù nhöõng haïng ngöôøi nhö vaäy; coøn thaày, thì nghó sao?

8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

8:6 Hoï noùi vaäy ñeå thöû Ngaøi, haàu cho coù theå kieän Ngaøi. Nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus cuùi xuoáng, laáy ngoùn tay vieát treân ñaát.

8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8:7 Vì hoï cöù hoûi nöõa, thì Ngaøi ngöôùc leân vaø phaùn raèng: Ai trong caùc ngöôi laø ngöôøi voâ toäi, haõy tröôùc nhöùt neùm ñaù vaøo ngöôøi.

8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

8:8 Roài Ngaøi laïi cuùi xuoáng cöù vieát treân maët ñaát.

8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

8:9 Khi chuùng nghe lôøi ñoù, thì keá nhau maø ñi ra, nhöõng ngöôøi coù tuoåi ñi tröôùc; Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ôû laïi moät mình vôùi ngöôøi ñôøn baø, ngöôøi vaãn ñöông ñöùng chính giöõa ñoù.

8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those yours accusers? has no man condemned you?

8:10 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus baáy giôø laïi ngöôùc leân, khoâng thaáy ai heát, chæ coù ngöôøi ñôøn baø, beøn phaùn raèng: Hôõi muï kia, nhöõng keû caùo ngöôi ôû ñaâu? Khoâng ai ñònh toäi ngöôi sao?

8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.

8:11 Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, khoâng ai heát. Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ta cuõng khoâng ñònh toäi ngöôøi; haõy ñi, ñöøng phaïm toäi nöõa.

8:12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

8:12 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laïi caát tieáng phaùn cuøng chuùng raèng: Ta laø söï saùng cuûa theá gian; ngöôøi naøo theo ta, chaúng ñi trong nôi toái taêm, nhöng coù aùnh saùng cuûa söï soáng.

8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true.

8:13 Ngöôøi Pha-ri-si beøn noùi raèng: Thaày töï laøm chöùng veà mình, thì lôøi chöùng thaày khoâng ñaùng tin.

8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you cannot tell whence I come, and where I go.

8:14 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Daãu ta töï laøm chöùng veà mình, nhöng lôøi chöùng ta laø ñaùng tin, vì ta bieát mình ñaõ töø ñaâu ñeán vaø ñi ñaâu; song caùc ngöôi khoâng bieát ta töø ñaâu maø ñeán, cuõng chaúng hay ta ñi ñaâu.

8:15 All of you judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

8:15 Caùc ngöôi xeùt ñoaùn theo xaùc thòt; ta thì khoâng xeùt ñoaùn ngöôøi naøo heát.

8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

8:16 Neáu ta xeùt ñoaùn ai, söï xeùt ñoaùn cuûa ta ñuùng vôùi leõ thaät; vì ta khoâng ôû moät mình, nhöng Cha laø Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán vaãn ôû cuøng ta.

8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

8:17 Vaû, coù cheùp trong luaät phaùp cuûa caùc ngöôi raèng lôøi chöùng hai ngöôøi laø ñaùng tin:

8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.

8:18 ta töï laøm chöùng cho ta, vaø Cha laø Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán cuõng laøm chöùng cho ta.

8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also.

8:19 Chuùng thöa cuøng Ngaøi raèng: Cha cuûa thaày ôû ñaâu? Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Caùc ngöôi chaúng bieát ta, vaø cuõng chaúng bieát Cha ta. Neáu caùc ngöôi bieát ta, thì cuõng bieát Cha ta nöõa.

8:20 These words (o. rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

8:20 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn moïi lôøi ñoù taïi nôi Kho, ñöông khi daïy doã trong ñeàn thôø; vaø khoâng ai tra tay treân Ngaøi, vì giôø Ngaøi chöa ñeán.

8:21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.

8:21 Ngaøi laïi phaùn cuøng chuùng raèng: Ta ñi, caùc ngöôi seõ tìm ta, vaø caùc ngöôi seõ cheát trong toäi loãi mình. Caùc ngöôi khoâng theå ñeán ñöôïc nôi ta ñi.

8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, Where I go, all of you cannot come.

8:22 Ngöôøi Giu-ña beøn noùi raèng: Ngöôøi ñaõ noùi: Caùc ngöôi khoâng theå ñeán ñöôïc nôi ta ñi, vaäy ngöôøi seõ töï töû sao?

8:23 And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above: all of you are of this world; I am not of this world.

8:23 Ngaøi phaùn raèng: Caùc ngöôi bôûi döôùi maø coù; coøn ta bôûi treân maø coù. Caùc ngöôi thuoäc veà theá gian naày; coøn ta khoâng thuoäc veà theá gian naày.

8:24 I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.

8:24 Neân ta ñaõ baûo raèng caùc ngöôi seõ cheát trong toäi loãi mình; vì neáu caùc ngöôi chaúng tin ta laø Ñaáng ñoù, thì chaéc seõ cheát trong toäi loãi caùc ngöôi.

8:25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus says unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

8:25 Chuùng beøn hoûi Ngaøi raèng: Vaäy thaày laø ai? Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Nhö lôøi ta ñaõ noùi vôùi caùc ngöôi töø ban ñaàu.

8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

8:26 Ta coù ngöôøi söï noùi vaø ñoaùn xeùt veà caùc ngöôi; nhöng Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán laø thaät, vaø ñieàu chi ta nghe bôûi Ngaøi, ta truyeàn laïi cho theá gian.

8:27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.

8:27 Chuùng khoâng hieåu raèng Ngaøi phaùn veà Cha.

8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.

8:28 Vaäy Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Khi caùc ngöôi treo Con ngöôøi leân, baáy giôø seõ bieát ta laø ai, vaø bieát ta khoâng töï mình laøm ñieàu gì, nhöng noùi ñieàu Cha ta ñaõ daïy ta.

8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

8:29 Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán vaãn ôû cuøng ta, chaúng ñeå ta ôû moät mình, vì ta haèng laøm söï ñeïp loøng Ngaøi.

8:30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him.

8:30 Bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus noùi nhö vaäy, neân coù nhieàu keû tin Ngaøi.

8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, (o. logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed;

8:31 Baáy giôø Ngaøi phaùn cuøng nhöõng ngöôøi Giu-ña ñaõ tin Ngaøi, raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi haèng ôû trong ñaïo ta, thì thaät laø moân ñoà ta;

8:32 And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

8:32 caùc ngöôi seõ bieát leõ thaät, vaø leõ thaät seõ buoâng tha caùc ngöôi.

8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how says you, All of you shall be made free?

8:33 Ngöôøi Giu-ña thöa raèng: Chuùng toâi laø doøng doõi Aùp-ra-ham, chöa heà laøm toâi moïi ai, vaäy sao thaày noùi raèng: Caùc ngöôi seõ trôû neân töï do?

8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

8:34 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, ai phaïm toäi loãi laø toâi moïi cuûa toäi loãi.

8:35 And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.

8:35 Vaû, toâi moïi khoâng ôû luoân trong nhaø, maø con thì ôû ñoù luoân.

8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.

8:36 Vaäy neáu Con buoâng tha caùc ngöôi, caùc ngöôi seõ thaät ñöôïc töï do.

8:37 I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill me, because my word (o. logos) has no place in you.

8:37 Ta bieát raèng caùc ngöôi laø doøng doõi Aùp-ra-ham, nhöng caùc ngöôi tìm theá ñeå gieát ta, vì ñaïo ta khoâng ñöôïc choã naøo ôû trong loøng caùc ngöôi.

8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that which all of you have seen with your father.

8:38 Ta noùi ñieàu ta ñaõ thaáy nôi Cha ta; coøn caùc ngöôi cöù laøm ñieàu ñaõ hoïc nôi cha mình.

8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says unto them, If all of you were Abraham's children, all of you would do the works of Abraham.

8:39 Chuùng traû lôøi raèng: Cha chuùng toâi töùc laø Aùp-ra-ham, Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi laø con Aùp-ra-ham, thì chaéc seõ laøm coâng vieäc cuûa Aùp-ra-ham.

8:40 But now all of you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

8:40 Nhöng hieän nay, caùc ngöôi tìm möu gieát ta, laø ngöôøi laáy leõ thaät ñaõ nghe nôi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø noùi vôùi caùc ngöôi; Aùp-ra-ham chöa heà laøm ñieàu ñoù!

8:41 All of you do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

8:41 Caùc ngöôi laøm coâng vieäc cuûa cha mình. Chuùng noùi raèng: Chuùng toâi chaúng phaûi laø con ngoaïi tình; chuùng toâi chæ coù moät Cha, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, all of you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

8:42 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ví baèng Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laø Cha caùc ngöôi, thì caùc ngöôi seõ yeâu ta, vì ta bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi maø ra vaø töø Ngaøi maø ñeán; bôûi chöng ta chaúng phaûi ñaõ ñeán töï mình ñaâu, nhöng aáy chính Ngaøi ñaõ sai ta ñeán.

8:43 Why do all of you not understand my speech? even because all of you cannot hear my word. (o. logos)

8:43 Taïi sao caùc ngöôi khoâng hieåu lôøi ta? Aáy laø bôûi caùc ngöôi chaúng coù theå nghe ñöôïc ñaïo cuûa ta.

8:44 All of you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father all of you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

8:44 Caùc ngöôi bôûi cha mình, laø ma quæ, maø sanh ra; vaø caùc ngöôi muoán laøm neân söï öa muoán cuûa cha mình. Vöøa luùc ban ñaàu noù ñaõ laø keû gieát ngöôøi, chaúng beàn giöõ ñöôïc leõ thaät, vaø khoâng coù leõ thaät trong noù ñaâu. Khi noù noùi doái, thì noùi theo taùnh rieâng mình, vì noù voán laø keû noùi doái vaø laø cha söï noùi doái.

8:45 And because I tell you the truth, all of you believe me not.

8:45 Nhöng vì ta noùi leõ thaät, neân caùc ngöôi khoâng tin ta.

8:46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do all of you not believe me?

8:46 Trong caùc ngöôi coù ai baét ta thuù toäi ñöôïc chaêng? Neáu ta noùi leõ thaät, sao caùc ngöôi khoâng tin ta?

8:47 He that is of God hears God's words: (o. rhema) all of you therefore hear them not, because all of you are not of God.

8:47 Ai ra bôûi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì nghe lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; cho neân caùc ngöôi chaúng nghe, taïi caùc ngöôi khoâng thuoäc veà Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

8:48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?

8:48 Ngöôøi Giu-ña thöa raèng: Chuùng toâi noùi thaày laø ngöôøi Sa-ma-ri, vaø bò quæ aùm, haù khoâng phaûi sao?

8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and all of you do dishonour me.

8:49 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ta chaúng phaûi bò quæ aùm, nhöng ta toân kính Cha ta, coøn caùc ngöôi laøm nhuïc ta.

8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.

8:50 Ta chaúng tìm söï vinh hieån ta, coù moät Ñaáng tìm vaø ñoaùn xeùt.

8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos) he shall never see death.

8:51 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, neáu keû naøo giöõ lôøi ta, seõ chaúng thaáy söï cheát bao giôø.

8:52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you says, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos) he shall never taste of death.

8:52 Ngöôøi Giu-ña noùi raèng: Baây giôø chuùng toâi thaáy roõ thaày bò quæ aùm; Aùp-ra-ham ñaõ cheát, caùc ñaáng tieân tri cuõng vaäy, maø thaày noùi: Neáu keû naøo giöõ lôøi ta seõ chaúng heà cheát!

8:53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?

8:53 Thaày laïi troïng hôn cha chuùng toâi, Aùp-ra-ham, laø ngöôøi ñaõ cheát sao? Caùc ñaáng tieân tri cuõng ñaõ cheát; thaày maïo xöng mình laø ai?

8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom all of you say, that he is your God:

8:54 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Neáu ta töï toân vinh, thì söï vinh hieån ta chaúng ra gì; aáy laø Cha ta laøm vinh hieån ta, laø Ñaáng caùc ngöôi xöng laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuûa mình.

8:55 Yet all of you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. (o. logos)

8:55 Daàu vaäy, caùc ngöôi chöa bieát Ngaøi ñaâu; coøn ta thì bieát. Vaø neáu ta noùi raèng ta khoâng bieát Ngaøi, ta seõ cuõng noùi doái nhö caùc ngöôi vaäy; song ta bieát Ngaøi, vaø ta giöõ lôøi Ngaøi.

8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

8:56 Cha caùc ngöôi laø Aùp-ra-ham ñaõ nöùc loøng nhìn thaáy ngaøy cuûa ta; ngöôøi ñaõ thaáy roài, vaø möøng rôõ.

8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?

8:57 Ngöôøi Giu-ña noùi raèng: Thaày chöa ñaày naêm möôi tuoåi, maø ñaõ thaáy Aùp-ra-ham!

8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

8:58 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, tröôùc khi chöa coù Aùp-ra-ham, ñaõ coù ta.

8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

8:59 Baáy giôø chuùng laáy ñaù ñaëng quaêng vaøo Ngaøi; nhöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi leùn trong chuùng, ra khoûi ñeàn thôø.

 Giang - John

9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

9:1 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus vöøa ñi qua, thaáy moät ngöôøi muø töø thuôû sanh ra.

9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

9:2 Moân ñoà hoûi Ngaøi raèng: Thöa thaày ai ñaõ phaïm toäi, ngöôøi hay laø cha meï ngöôøi, maø ngöôøi sanh ra thì muø nhö vaäy?

9:3 Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

9:3 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ñoù chaúng phaûi taïi ngöôøi hay taïi cha meï ñaõ phaïm toäi; nhöng aáy ñeå cho nhöõng vieäc Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñöôïc toû ra trong ngöôøi.

9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.

9:4 Trong khi coøn ban ngaøy, ta phaûi laøm troïn nhöõng vieäc cuûa Ñaáng ñaõ sai ta ñeán; toái laïi, thì khoâng ai laøm vieäc ñöôïc.

9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

9:5 Ñöông khi ta coøn ôû theá gian, ta laø söï saùng cuûa theá gian.

9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

9:6 Noùi xong Ngaøi nhoå xuoáng ñaát, laáy nöôùc mieáng troän thaønh buøn, vaø ñem xöùc treân maét ngöôøi muø.

9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

9:7 Ñoaïn Ngaøi phaùn cuøng ngöôøi raèng: Haõy ñi, röûa nôi ao Si-loâ-eâ (nghóa laø chòu sai ñi). Vaäy, ngöôøi ñi ñeán ao ñoù, röûa, vaø trôû laïi, thì ñöôïc thaáy roõ.

9:8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

9:8 Xoùm gieàng ngöôøi muø vaø nhöõng keû tröôùc kia töøng thaáy ngöôøi ñi aên maøy ñeàu noùi raèng: naày coù phaûi laø ngöôøi vaãn ngoài aên xin ñoù chaêng?

9:9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

9:9 Ngöôøi thì noùi: Aáy laø haén; keû laïi noùi: Khoâng phaûi, song moät ngöôøi naøo gioáng haén. Ngöôøi muø noùi raèng: Chính toâi ñaây.

9:10 Therefore said they unto him, How were yours eyes opened?

9:10 Chuùng beøn hoûi ngöôøi raèng: Taïi sao maét ngöôi ñaõ môû ñöôïc?

9:11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

9:11 Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôøi teân goïi laø Jeâsus kia ñaõ hoùa buøn, xöùc maét toâi, vaø noùi toâi raèng: haõy ñi ñeán röûa nôi ao Si-loâ-eâ. Vaäy, toâi ñi ñeán, röûa taïi ñoù, roài thaáy ñöôïc.

9:12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

9:12 Chuùng hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi aáy ôû ñaâu. Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Toâi khoâng bieát.

9:13 They brought to the Pharisees him that in old times was blind.

9:13 Chuùng daãn ngöôøi tröôùc ñaõ muø ñoù ñeán cuøng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si.

9:14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

9:14 Vaû, aáy laø ngaøy Sa-baùt maø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaõ hoøa buøn vaø môû maét cho ngöôøi ñoù.

9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

9:15 Ngöôøi Pha-ri-si laïi hoûi ngöôøi theá naøo ñöôïc saùng maét laïi. Ngöôøi raèng: Ngöôøi aáy raø buøn vaøo maét toâi, toâi röûa roài thaáy ñöôïc.

9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

9:16 Coù maáy keû trong nhöõng ngöôøi Pha-ri-si beøn noùi raèng: Ngöôøi naày khoâng phaûi töø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñeán ñaâu vì khoâng giöõ ngaøy Sa-baùt. Nhöng keû khaùc raèng: Moät keû coù toäi laøm pheùp laï nhö vaäy theå naøo ñöôïc? Roài hoï beøn chia phe ra.

9:17 They say unto the blind man again, What says you of him, that he has opened yours eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

9:17 Baáy giôø chuùng hoûi ngöôøi muø nöõa raèng: Coøn ngöôi, veà ngöôøi ñaõ laøm saùng maét ngöôi ñoù thì ngöôi noùi laøm sao? Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Aáy laø moät ñaáng tieân tri.

9:18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

9:18 Song le, ngöôøi Giu-ña khoâng tin raèng ngöôøi aáy tröôùc ñaõ muø maø ñöôïc saùng laïi, cho ñeán khi goïi cha meï ngöôøi ñeán.

9:19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who all of you say was born blind? how then does he now see?

9:19 Hoï gaïn hoûi raèng: Ñaây coù quaû thaät laø con trai caùc ngöôi maø caùc ngöôi noùi raèng noù muø töø thuôû sanh ra chaêng? Theá thì sao baây giôø noù saùng vaäy?

9:20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

9:20 Cha meï ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Chuùng toâi nhìn bieát laø con trai chuùng toâi noù ñaõ muø töø thuôû sanh ra;

9:21 But by what means he now sees, we know not; or who has opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

9:21 nhöng hieän nay taïi laøm sao thaáy ñöôïc, thì chuùng toâi khoâng roõ. Chuùng toâi cuøng khoâng bieát ai môû maét noù nöõa. Haõy hoûi noù, noù ñaõ ñuû tuoåi, chính noù seõ noùi cho.

9:22 These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

9:22 Cha meï ngöôøi noùi vaäy, vì sôï daân Giu-ña; bôûi daân Giu-ña ñaõ ñònh raèng heã ai xöng Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laø Ñaáng Christ thì phaûi bò ñuoåi ra khoûi nhaø hoäi.

9:23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

9:23 Aáy vì côù ñoù cho neân cha meï ngöôøi noùi raèng: Noù ñaõ ñuû tuoåi, haõy hoûi noùi.

9:24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

9:24 Vaäy, ngöôøi Pha-ri-si goïi ngöôøi tröôùc ñaõ muø moät laàn nöõa, maø noùi raèng: Haõy ngôïi khen Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, chuùng ta bieát ngöôøi ñoù laø keû coù toäi.

9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

9:25 Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Toâi chaúng bieát ngöôøi coù phaûi laø keû toäi chaêng, chæ bieát moät ñieàu, laø toâi ñaõ muø maø baây giôø laïi saùng.

9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to you? how opened he yours eyes?

9:26 Hoï laïi hoûi raèng: Ngöôøi ñaõ laøm ñieàu gì cho ngöôi? Môû maét ngöôi theá naøo?

9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and all of you did not hear: wherefore would all of you hear it again? will all of you also be his disciples?

9:27 Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Toâi ñaõ noùi vôùi caùc oâng roài, maø caùc oâng chaúng nghe toâi. Côù sao caùc oâng muoán nghe laïi laàn nöõa? Haù cuõng muoán laøm moân ñoà ngöôøi chaêng?

9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, You are his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

9:28 Hoï beøn maéng nhieác ngöôøi, maø raèng: Aáy, chính ngöôi laø moân ñoà ngöôøi; coøn chuùng ta laø moân ñoà cuûa Moâi-se.

9:29 We know that God spoke unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

9:29 Chuùng ta bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñaõ phaùn cuøng Moâi-se, nhöng ngöôøi naøy thì chuùng ta chaúng bieát bôûi ñaâu ñeán.

9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that all of you know not from whence he is, and yet he has opened mine eyes.

9:30 Ngöôøi traû lôøi raèng: Ngöôøi ñaõ môû maét toâi, maø caùc oâng chaúng bieát ngöôøi ôû ñaâu ñeán, aáy laø söï laï luøng laém!

9:31 Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears.

9:31 Chuùng ta vaãn bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chaúng nhaäm lôøi keû coù toäi, maø neáu ai kính sôï Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, laøm theo yù muoán Ngaøi, thì Ngaøi nhaäm lôøi.

9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

9:32 Ngöôøi ta chaúng bao giôø nghe noùi coù ai môû maét keû muø töø thuôû sanh ra.

9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

9:33 Neáu ngöôøi naøy chaúng phaûi ñeán töø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, thì khoâng laøm gì ñöôïc heát.

9:34 They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out.

9:34 Chuùng traû lôøi raèng: Caû mình ngöôi sinh ra trong toäi loãi, laïi muoán daïy doã chuùng ta sao! Ñoaïn hoï ñuoåi hoï ra ngoaøi.

9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?

9:35 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus nghe hoï ñaõ ñuoåi hoï ra vaø Ngaøi coù gaëp ngöôøi, beøn phaùn hoûi raèng: Ngöôi coù tin ñeán Con Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi chaêng?

9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

9:36 Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Thöa Chuùa ngöôøi laø ai haàu cho toâi tin ñeán?

9:37 And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen him, and it is he that talks with you.

9:37 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ngöôi ñaõ thaáy ngöôøi vaø aáy laø ngöôøi ñöông noùi cuøng ngöôi.

9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

9:38 Ngöôøi thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, toâi tin; beøn saáp mình xuoáng tröôùc maët Ngaøi.

9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

9:39 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus beøn phaùn raèng: Ta ñaõ ñeán theá gian ñaëng laøm söï phaùn xeùt naày: Heã ai chaúng thaáy, thì thaáy; coøn ai thaáy, laïi hoùa muø.

9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

9:40 Maáy ngöôøi Pha-ri-si beân caïnh Ngaøi nghe ñieàu ñoù, thì noùi vôùi Ngaøi raèng: Coøn chuùng ta cuõng laø keû muø chaêng?

9:41 Jesus said unto them, If all of you were blind, all of you should have no sin: but now all of you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.

9:41 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Neáu caùc ngöôi laø keû muø, thì khoâng coù toäi loãi chi heát; nhöng vì caùc ngöôi noùi raèng: Chuùng ta thaáy, neân toäi loãi caùc ngöôi vaãn coøn laïi.

 Giang - John

10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

10:1 Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, keû naøo chaúng bôûi cöûa maø vaøo chuoàng chieân, nhöng treøo vaøo tröôùc nôi khaùc, thì ngöôøi ñoù laø troäm cöôùp.

10:2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

10:2 Nhöng keû bôûi cöûa maø vaøo, laø ngöôøi chaên chieân.

10:3 To him the gate keeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

10:3 Ngöôøi canh cöûa môû cho chieân nghe tieáng ngöôøi chaên; ngöôøi chaên keâu teân chieân mình maø daãn ra ngoaøi.

10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

10:4 Khi ngöôøi ñaõ ñem chieân ra heát, thì ñi tröôùc, chieân theo sau, vì chieân quen tieáng ngöôøi.

10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

10:5 Nhöng chieân chaúng theo ngöôøi laï; traùi laïi noù chaïy troán, vì chaúng quen tieáng ngöôøi laï.

10:6 This parable spoke Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke unto them.

10:6 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn lôøi ví duï ñoù, nhöng chuùng khoâng hieåu Ngaøi muoán noùi chi.

10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

10:7 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus laïi phaùn cuøng hoï raèng: Quaû thaät, quaû thaät, ta noùi cuøng caùc ngöôi, ta laø cöûa cuûa chieân.

10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

10:8 Heát thaûy nhöõng keû ñaõ ñeán tröôùc ta ñeàu laø quaân troäm cöôùp; nhöng chieân khoâng nghe chuùng noù.

10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10:9 Ta laø caùi cöûa: neáu ai bôûi ta maø vaøo, thì seõ ñöôïc cöùu roãi; hoï seõ vaøo ra vaø gaëp ñoàng coû.

10:10 The thief comes not, but in order to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

10:10 Keû troäm chæ ñeán ñeå cöôùp gieát vaø huûy dieät; coøn ta ñaõ ñeán, haàu cho chieân ñöôïc söï soáng vaø ñöôïc söï soáng dö daät.

10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

10:11 Ta laø ngöôøi chaên hieàn laønh; ngöôøi chaên hieàn laønh vì chieân mình phoù söï soáng mình.

10:12 But he that is a worker, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and left the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep.

10:12 Keû chaên thueâ chaúng phaûi laø ngöôøi chaên, vaø chieân khoâng phaûi thuoäc veà noù. Neáu thaáy muoân soùi ñeán thì noù boû chieân chaïy troán; muoân soùi cöôùp laáy chieân vaø laøm cho taûn laïc.

10:13 The worker flees, because he is a worker, and cares not for the sheep.

10:13 Aáy vì noù laø keû chaên thueâ, chaúng lo laéng chi ñeán chieân.

10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

10:14 Ta laø ngöôøi chaên chieân hieàn laønh, ta quen chieân ta, vaø chieân ta quen ta,

10:15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

10:15 cuõng nhö Cha bieát ta vaø ta bieát Cha vaäy; ta vì chieân ta phoù söï soáng mình.

10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

10:16 Ta coøn coù chieân khaùc chaúng thuoäc veà chuoàng naøy; ta cuøng phaûi daãn noù veà nöõa. Chieân ñoù seõ nghe tieáng ta, roài seõ chæ coù moät baày, vaø moät ngöôøi chaên maø thoâi.

10:17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

10:17 Naày, taïi sao Cha yeâu ta: Aáy vì ta phoù söï soáng mình ñeå ñöôïc laáy laïi.

10:18 No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

10:18 Chaúng coù ai caát söï soáng ta ñi, nhöng töï ta phoù cho; ta coù quyeàn phoù söï soáng, vaø coù quyeàn laáy laïi; ta ñaõ laõnh maïng lònh naày nôi Cha ta.

10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. (o. logos)

10:19 Nhôn nhöõng lôøi ñoù ngöôøi Giu-ña laïi chia phe ra nöõa.

10:20 And many of them said, He has a devil, and is mad; why hear all of you him?

10:20 Phaàn nhieàu ngöôøi trong ñaùm hoï noùi raèng: Ngöôøi bò quæ aùm, ngöôøi laø ñieân sao caùc ngöôi nghe laøm chi?

10:21 Others said, These are not the words (o. rhema) of him that has a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

10:21 Keû khaùc noùi raèng: Aáy ñoù chaúng phaûi laø lôøi noùi cuûa moät keû bò quæ aùm. Quæ haù coù theå môû maét keû muø ñöôïc sao?

10:22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

10:22 Taïi thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem coù giöõ leã Khaùnh Thaønh ñeàn thôø. Baáy giôø laø muøa ñoâng;

10:23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

10:23 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñi daïo trong ñeàn thôø, döôùi hieân cöûa Sa-loâ-moân.

10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long do you make us to doubt? If you be the Christ, tell us plainly.

10:24 Ngöôøi Giu-ña nhoùm xung quanh Ngaøi maø noùi raèng: Thaày ñeå chuùng toâi nghó vô vaãn maõi cho ñeán khi naøo? Neáu thaày laø Ñaáng Christ, haõy noùi roõ cho chuùng toâi.

10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and all of you believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

10:25 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Ta ñaõ baûo caùc ngöôi, maø caùc ngöôi khoâng tin; nhöõng vieäc ta nhôn danh Cha ta maø laøm ñeàu laøm chöùng cho ta.

10:26 But all of you believe not, because all of you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

10:26 Nhöng caùc ngöôi khoâng tin ta, vì caùc ngöôi chaúng phaûi laø chieân cuûa ta.

10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

10:27 Chieân ta nghe tieáng ta, ta quen noù, vaø noù theo ta.

10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

10:28 Ta ban cho noù söï soáng ñôøi ñôøi; noù chaúng cheát maát bao giôø, vaø chaúng ai cöôùp noù khoûi tay ta.

10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

10:29 Cha ta laø Ñaáng lôùn hôn heát ñaõ cho ta chieân ñoù, vaø chaúng ai cöôùp noåi chieân ñoù khoûi tay Cha.

10:30 I and my Father are one.

10:30 Ta vôùi Cha laø moät.

10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

10:31 Ngöôøi Giu-ña laïi löôïm ñaù ñaëng neùm Ngaøi

10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do all of you stone me?

10:32 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus phaùn raèng: Ta ñaõ laøm tröôùc maét caùc ngöôi laém vieäc laønh bôûi Cha ñeán; vì vieäc chi maø caùc ngöôi neùm ñaõ ta?

10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone you not; but for blasphemy; and because that you, being a man, make yourself God.

10:33 Ngöôøi Giu-ña traû lôøi raèng: Aáy chaúng phaûi vì moät vieäc laønh maø chuùng ta neùm ñaù ngöôi, nhöng vì lôøi loäng ngoân: ngöôi laø ngöôøi, maø töï xöng laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, All of you are gods?

10:34 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus ñaùp raèng: Trong luaät phaùp cuûa caùc ngöôi haù chaúng cheùp raèng: Ta ñaõ phaùn: Caùc ngöôi laø caùc thaàn, hay sao?

10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word (o. logos) of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

10:35 Neáu luaät phaùp goïi nhöõng keû ñöôïc lôøi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi phaùn ñeán laø caùc thaàn, vaø neáu Kinh Thaùnh khoâng theå boû ñöôïc,

10:36 Say all of you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God?

10:36 thì ta ñaây, laø Ñaáng Cha ñaõ bieät ra thaùnh, vaø sai xuoáng theá gian, noùi: Ta laø Con Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, côù sao caùc ngöôi caùo ta laø noùi loäng ngoân?

10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

10:37 Ví baèng ta khoâng laøm nhöõng vieäc cuûa Cha ta, thì caùc ngöôi chôù tin ta.

10:38 But if I do, though all of you believe not me, believe the works: that all of you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

10:38 Coøn neáu ta laøm, thì, daàu caùc ngöôi chaúng tin ta, haõy tin nhöõng vieäc ta, ñeå caùc ngöôi hieåu vaø bieát raèng Cha ôû trong ta vaø ta ôû trong Cha.

10:39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

10:39 Chuùng coøn kieám caùch ñeå baét Ngaøi nöõa; nhöng Ngaøi traùnh khoûi tay hoï.

10:40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

10:40 Ñoaïn, Ngaøi laïi sang beân kia soâng Gioâ-ñanh, ñeán nôi Giaêng ñaõ laøm pheùp baùp tem tröôùc heát, vaø truù taïi ñoù.

10:41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spoke of this man were true.

10:41 Coù nhieàu keû ñeán cuøng Ngaøi, maø noùi raèng: Giaêng chöa laøm moät pheùp laï naøo, nhöng moïi ñieàu Giaêng ñaõ noùi veà ngöôøi naày laø thaät.

10:42 And many believed on him there.

10:42 Taïi ñoù coù nhieàu ngöôøi tin Ngaøi.
