Prayer

Zc10:1 Ask all of you of the Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Jehovah shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

Mk1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

1Th5:1 Give ear to my words, O Jehovah, consider my meditation.

5:2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto you will I pray.

5:3 My voice shall you hear in the morning, O Jehovah; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and will look up.

1Th5:16 Rejoice evermore.

5:17 Pray without ceasing.

5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1Ch16:8 Give thanks unto the Jehovah, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

16:9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk all of you of all his wondrous works.

16:10 Glory all of you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Jehovah.

16:11 Seek the Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually.

Mt18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever all of you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as concerning any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Mt7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and all of you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

7:8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

Mk9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

9:15 And immediately all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

9:16 And he asked the scribes, What question all of you with them?

9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto you my son, which has a dumb spirit; (o. pneuma)

9:18 And where ever he takes him, he tears him: and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pins away: and I spoke to your disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

9:19 He answers him, and says, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, immediately the spirit (o. pneuma) tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

9:22 And frequently it has cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if you can do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

9:23 Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.

9:24 And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help you mine unbelief.

9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, (o. pneuma) saying unto him, You dumb and deaf spirit, (o. pneuma) I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

9:26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

9:28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Jh14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

14:13 And whatsoever all of you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14:14 If all of you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Jh16:23 And in that day all of you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

16:24 Until now have all of you asked nothing in my name: ask, and all of you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Ep6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith all of you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) which is the word (o. rhema) of God:

6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, (o. pneuma) and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

1Sm12:22 For the Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it has pleased the Jehovah to make you his people.

12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Jehovah in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

12:24 Only fear the Jehovah, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he has done for you.

Hb4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1Kn8:54 And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the Jehovah, he arose from before the altar of the Jehovah, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

8:55 And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

8:56 Blessed be the Jehovah, that has given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

8:57 The Jehovah our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

8:58 That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

8:59 And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the Jehovah, be nigh unto the Jehovah our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

8:60 That all the people of the earth may know that the Jehovah is God, and that there is none else.

2Kn20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus says the Jehovah, Set yours house in order; for you shall die, and not live.

20:2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Jehovah, saying,

20:3 I plead to you, O Jehovah, remember now how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

20:4 And it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Jehovah came to him, saying,

20:5 Return, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus says the Jehovah, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will heal you: on the third day you shall go up unto the house of the Jehovah.

20:6 And I will add unto your days fifteen years; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

2Kn22:19 Because yours heart was tender, and you have humbled yourself before the Jehovah, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have rent your clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard you, says the Jehovah.

2Ch16:9 For the eyes of the Jehovah run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from henceforth you shall have wars.

2Ch26:4 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Jehovah, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

26:5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Jehovah, God made him to prosper.

2Ch30:18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Jehovah pardon every one

30:19 That prepares his heart to seek God, the Jehovah God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

30:20 And the Jehovah hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

30:21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Jehovah day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Jehovah.

30:22 And Hezekiah spoke comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the Jehovah: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the Jehovah God of their fathers.

2Ch33:11 Wherefore the Jehovah brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

33:12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

33:13 And prayed unto him: and he was implored of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Jehovah he was God.

Ez10:1 Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

1Pt3:7 Likewise, all of you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Dn6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did in old times.

Dn9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

9:4 And I prayed unto the Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

9:5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from your precepts and from your judgments:

9:6 Neither have we hearkened unto your servants the prophets, which spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

9:7 O Jehovah, righteousness belongs unto you, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.

9:8 O Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.

9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

9:10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed your law, even by departing, that they might not obey your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

9:12 And he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem.

9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand your truth.

9:14 Therefore has the Jehovah watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he does: for we obeyed not his voice.

9:15 And now, O Lord our God, that have brought your people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have got you renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

9:16 O Jehovah, according to all your righteousness, I plead to you, let yours anger and your fury be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

9:17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and his supplications, and cause your face to shine upon your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

9:18 O my God, incline yours ear, and hear; open yours eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousnesses, but for your great mercies.

9:19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for yours own sake, O my God: for your city and your people are called by your name.

Jl1:14 Sanctify all of you a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Jehovah your God, and cry unto the Jehovah,

Ek36:32 Not for your sakes do I this, says the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

36:33 Thus says the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.

36:34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

36:36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Jehovah build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Jehovah have spoken it, and I will do it.

36:37 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

Jn1:6 So the ship captain came to him, and said unto him, What mean you, O sleeper? arise, call upon your God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Jh9:31 Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears.

Jh15:7 If all of you abide in me, and my words (o. rhema) abide in you, all of you shall ask what all of you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Jh15:16 All of you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that all of you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever all of you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Mt6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

6:7 But when all of you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

6:8 Be not all of you therefore like unto them: for your Father knows what things all of you have need of, before all of you ask him.

6:9 After this manner therefore pray all of you: Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name.

6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

6:14 For if all of you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

6:15 But if all of you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Mt6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what all of you shall eat, or what all of you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what all of you shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment?

6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are all of you not much better than they?

6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

6:28 And why take all of you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O all of you of little faith?

6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that all of you have need of all these things.

6:33 But seek all of you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

6:34 Take therefore no thought for the next day: for the next day shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Lk11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

11:2 And he said unto them, When all of you pray, say, Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Mt16:15 He says unto them, But whom say all of you that I am?

16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven.

16:18 And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

16:19 And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Mt21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on you henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If all of you have faith, and doubt not, all of you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if all of you shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; it shall be done.

21:22 And all things, whatsoever all of you shall ask in prayer, believing, all of you shall receive.

Mt26:36 Then comes Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and says unto the disciples, Sit all of you here, while I go and pray yonder.

26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

26:38 Then says he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch with me.

26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.

26:40 And he comes unto the disciples, and finds them asleep, and says unto Peter, What, could all of you not watch with me one hour?

26:41 Watch and pray, that all of you enter not into temptation: the spirit (o. pneuma) indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done.

26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Mk14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he says to his disciples, Sit all of you here, while I shall pray.

14:33 And he takes with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

14:34 And says unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch.

14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.

14:37 And he comes, and finds them sleeping, and says unto Peter, Simon, sleep you? could not you watch one hour?

14:38 Watch all of you and pray, lest all of you enter into temptation. The spirit (o. pneuma) truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

14:39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words. (o. logos)

14:40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither know they what to answer him.

14:41 And he comes the third time, and says unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour has come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

14:42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrays me is at hand.

Mk11:12 And on the next day, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

11:13 And seeing a fig tree far off having leaves, he came, if lest by any means he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of you hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

11:16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but all of you have made it a den of thieves.

11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

11:19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.

11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance says unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away.

11:22 And Jesus answering says unto them, Have faith in God.

11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.

11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things whatsoever all of you desire, when all of you pray, believe that all of you receive them, and all of you shall have them.

11:25 And when all of you stand praying, forgive, if all of you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Lk22:39 And he came out, and went, as he was known, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

22:40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that all of you enter not into temptation.

22:41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

22:42 Saying, Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.

22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

22:45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

22:46 And said unto them, Why sleep all of you? rise and pray, lest all of you enter into temptation.

1Th5:5 All of you are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1Tm2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1Tm2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

1Tm4:5 For it is sanctified by the word (o. logos) of God and prayer.

Dt10:20 You shall fear the Jehovah your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you cleave, and swear by his name.

Ac1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

1:13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Ac2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and all of you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the Jehovah our God shall call.

2:40 And with many other words (o. logos) did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

2:41 Then they that gladly received his word (o. logos) were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Ph4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Jr29:7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Jehovah for it: for in the peace thereof shall all of you have peace.

Jr29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

29:12 Then shall all of you call upon me, and all of you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

29:13 And all of you shall seek me, and find me, when all of you shall search for me with all your heart.

Jr33:2 Thus says the Jehovah the maker thereof, the Jehovah that formed it, to establish it; the Jehovah is his name;

33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

Lm2:18 Their heart cried unto the Jehovah, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give yourself no rest; let not the apple of yours eye cease.

2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out yours heart like water before the face of the Jehovah: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

Lm3:25 The Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

Is30:18 And therefore will the Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Jehovah is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious unto you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.

Is57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

57:19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the Jehovah; and I will heal him.

Dt4:29 But if from thence you shall seek the Jehovah your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Lk11:5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

11:6 For a friend of mine in his journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

11:7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give you.

11:8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and all of you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

11:10 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

11:13 If all of you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) to them that ask him?

Lk18:1 And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

18:2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

18:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

18:5 Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.

18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Is55:6 Seek all of you the Jehovah while he may be found, call all of you upon him while he is near:

55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Jehovah.

55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Is58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

58:3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and you see not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast all of you find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

58:4 Behold, all of you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: all of you shall not fast as all of you do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Jehovah?

58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that all of you break every yoke?

58:7 Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from yours own flesh?

58:8 Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and yours health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Jehovah shall be your rear guard.

58:9 Then shall you call, and the Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting out of the finger, and speaking vanity;

58:10 And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness be as the noon day:

58:11 And the Jehovah shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Na1:7 The Jehovah is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knows them that trust in him.

1Cr13:13 And now abides faith, hope, love, (o. agape) these three; but the greatest of these is love. (o. agape)

1Cr14:13 Wherefore let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit (o. pneuma) prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, (o. pneuma) and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, (o. pneuma) and I will sing with the understanding also.

Cl4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Jm1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and reproaches not; and it shall be given him.

1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Jm4:2 All of you lust, and have not: all of you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: all of you fight and war, yet all of you have not, because all of you ask not.

4:3 All of you ask, and receive not, because all of you ask amiss, that all of you may consume it upon your lusts.

Jm5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that all of you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

5:17 Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

1Pt4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be all of you therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

1Pt5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

5:9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1Jh3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Jd1:20 But all of you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma)

1:21 Keep yourselves in the love (o. agape) of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Zp2:3 Seek all of you the Jehovah, all you meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be all of you shall be hid in the day of the Jehovah's anger.

Is1:15 And when all of you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when all of you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Lm3:25 The Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Jehovah.

3:39 Wherefore does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and return to the Jehovah.

3:41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

Mt25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go all of you out to meet him.

25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go all of you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

25:13 Watch therefore, for all of you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.

Is56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Ps16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in you do I put my trust.

16:2 O my soul, you have said unto the Jehovah, You are my Lord: my goodness extends not to you;

16:3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Ps18:6 In my distress I called upon the Jehovah, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Ps27:7 Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

27:8 When you said, Seek all of you my face; my heart said unto you, Your face, Jehovah, will I seek.

Ps32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

32:2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Jehovah imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

32:3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

32:4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

32:5 I acknowledge my sin unto you, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Jehovah; and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

32:6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

Ps51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Ps42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Ps43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Ps50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

Ps50:23 Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.

Ps66:17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

66:19 But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

66:20 Blessed be God, which has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Ps119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Jehovah.

119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
